Best Western of Lake George

The breakfast was good, Elsie who is in charge of breakfast was great. The hotel staff was friendly & helpful. However, there was never any towels at the pool & no room service during our stay, except once

This Best Western is just off the highway. It's a short drive of a mile or so into the village where parking is free and easy and you can find lots of places to eat and things to do. When traveling through the area, it's a clean, convenient hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The indoor pool offers a chance to relax and get some exercise too.

Would highly recommend the Best Western in Lake Geoge, NY. The staff there are remarkable... The breakfast was hot and the dinning room was clean. The pool was cleaned every morning and the jacuzzi was hot and relaxing...

Room smelled, Carpet was stained and dirty, bed was not made, furniture was dirty, no hot water for jacuzzi tub, bugs in the rooms, stains on the walls from liquids, cobwebs in the rooms, hasn't been updated in many years. This was the 2 bedroom suite that was 600 for 2 nights..

Reasonable rates. Very courteous staff, great breakfast. Nothing to complain about and we have stayed here several times over the years. Highly recommend it as the location is very close to downtown. A very clean room with good service.

This was the worst stay at any Hotel ever...this is a party hotel with nobody caring about anything, banging on walls all night and screaming and shouting and NOBODY CARES, We had stayed here many times before but things are different now. There are many beautiful places to stay in Lake George....but sadly this is not one of them any more.....after more stays here than I can count it's time to find a new place

Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Internet was slow. Overall experience was very good. Hotel was also in a good location and close to activity's in Lake George.

We decided to take a trip to NY, and stayed at this hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing, the rooms were so clean. There was a group of us traveling together and this hotel was so helpful at giving us what we needed. The hot tub was amazing and so refreshing. The kids loved both of the other pools as well. Breakfast was delicious and the staff doing breakfast was really friendly. We will be back again!!!

Make sure everything is working right. And find out about the pool especially when there's an outside and indoor pool if is working and has chlorine. Please take your own towels. Am sorry to say my stay was not good at all, my room was never clean even when I requested for it to be clean. I had to leave my garbage outside my room, and it stood there for a hold day, I had to let them know about the garbage before they pick it up. The bathroom sink was clog I report it twice and they never came to fix it. Every time I requested my towels to be change they never had towels and I had to wait till the end of the day for the towels. They would not bring it to my room I always had to go and get it myself. When I got there the inside and outside pool was close because they needed chlorine, they finally got the inside pool open but the outside pool was close.

Queen beds were actually doubles Black mold in shower Shower did not shut off fully Broken door handle Noisy AC unit falling off the wall Dirty bathroom and linens "Community microwave" Staff was friendly.. Didn't bother complaining, never staying at BW again..

Over the years I've had many GOOD experiences with Best Westerns around the USA, but in this case, there is nothing exceptional to compliment. To the contrary, this location has the feel of an undermaintained, under-invested property. And I had the following specific gripes: -Loud and noisy in-room AC (the front desk's response: "They're all like that.") -No screens on the portions of windows you can open. -A squishy bed. -Room keys that abruptly stopped working (the desk's response: "seems like everyone's having problems with their keys today"--but they gave me working replacements) -Minimal sound-proofing (easy to hear young kids in closed rooms across the hallway) -Worst of all, really dirty floor in the room. Within 10 minutes of walking around barefoot after showering, every part of the undersides of my feet except the arches, was black. When I showed the front desk a picture, they replied: "The floors WERE washed before you checked in, but due to the material from which they're made, the floors remain dirty even AFTER they're washed." Your witness, counselor.

Just returned from our family vacay to beautiful Lake George. Stayed at BW for 4 nights. There were 7 of us staying in 2 rooms. Neither room was cleaned during our stay. The rugs in 226. were so dirty my grandchildren's feet were filthy! The front desk phones were unanswered. We were constantly at front desk for towels, toilet paper, or getting our room key cards reprogrammed so we could enter our rooms. We were told the rooms got cleaned every 3 days but garbage was still overflowing on 4th day. The outside door to building has no locks. Room 227 is 2 rooms and 2 baths. On day 1, my adult son, with no digestive issues clogged the toilet. He went down to desk, no one answered phone, to report it. He was told maintenance would be up to take care of it. After a full day of sightseeing we came back to,you guessed it, a clogged toilet. My son was able to flush it and went on to enjoy his evening. Day 2 same thing. Reported it, maintenance promised, went out for day, back to still clogged toilet. This time, at desk, he requested and received plunger to unclog it himself, but to be sure and return it. He fixed it and didn't use that bathroom again, They were sure to leave an envelope for tips in the rooms that were never cleaned or replenished. I will say the staff was apologetic but frazzled. I cannot fault them. The hotel was grossly understaffed and they just couldn't keep up. They were even kind enough to open up the breakfast room for us to have a pizza dinner in. This has the potential to be great but the management needs to step up because it's going down fast.

Cheaper than others. I don't have a lot of positive things to say, however this survey requires a minimum of 2oo letters in order to submit. That means that most quests won't bother. We had a clean room. Staff were friendly.

Hotel is very nice; super clean, good breakfast, good location. Only reason I gave it a 4* is that there was a large motorcycle group staying when we were there. I like motorcycles, but these guys were all gathered around the front entrance for hours drinking out of open bottles of whiskey and blaring their radios!. You had to walk right through the group to get in the front door. We felt especially bad for the families with kids who had to circumvent them just to check in. That being said, when we checked in we requested a room away from the front entrance and from the group, and the front desk could not have been more understanding and helpful in doing that. Just think they should have asked the guys to party somewhere else!

Booked a last minute stay for the weekend and it couldn't have gone any better. All of your team members were pleasant and extremely helpful. We rolled in at almost midnight and were pleased to find a very nice room and very friendly staff to get us all situated.

Hotel is very clean and nicely kept up. Pool was great. Manager was very welcoming at check in. Not right on the lake but just a short drive to save a lot of money. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

My experience staying at the hotel was great my family and I enjoyed it. Very friendly and kind staff. Made every smooth at check in, also the staff was willing to help at all time, the room where just right, thank you.

Went out with friends and thought this hotel would be a nice one, didn't expect to end up with a broke door and an almost fire. The people were really nice but the property needs a decent overhaul, especially the smoke towers out front and the electric door locks.

Reasonable rates, even in Peak season. Always courteous staff, great pools, great breakfast. Nothing to complain about and we have stayed here MANY times over the years. Highly recommend it as the location is very close to downtown. The teens walk in.

This was an excellent stay for us. All was very quiet and the perfect stooping point for our travels through the Adirondacks. The breakfast was excellent and no troubles with the internet. The price was very reasonable for our winter stay.

Dirty, Items broken, Doors not closing properly, Exhaust fan could wake up the entire facility. Was reported to the front desk, And i was told that i will advise my manger. This is not costomer service at all

You expect a certain quality with the Best Western brand, and this is certainly not up to their standards. When the bathroom light is turned on the fan automatically comes on and is so noisy it is hard to hear the TV. I had to use ear plugs as the A/C unit is so loud even my husband had a hard time sleeping. Several things were not plugged in (ie: the phone so we couldn't reach the front desk, the lamps on the desk and bedside table) so we had to scramble around to find plugs. The hardware on the windows is missing, as well as a proper window frame. The desk chair is broken, so be careful. The shower temperature handle won't stay in the same place, so the water gets hotter as you shower. While the bed was comfortable, the pillows are so soft they are uncomfortable. Sheets and towels were clean, so a plus there.

Best Western Lake George is a really great place to stay in the area. We were there slightly out of summer season and just before the leaf peekers showed up. Just a little way outside of the village and right near the hiway it was calm, quiet and clean. They have the standard breakfast, and though I did not get to stay for it, I wanted to. Room was really nice, cozy and had enough room for us. Bathroom was clean and bright and well stocked. Wish I could have stayed longer. Next time I will.

After walking around the entire hotel, I discovered that both ice machines were OUT OF ORDER, with no signs to indicate that. When I told the two employees at the front desk, they told me to drive a mile to a store and buy my own ice. They should have informed me of the broken machines before I checked in, had signs on the broken machines, and purchased ice for the guests and had it in reserve. If you use ice, check with the front desk before you get comfortable. You may have to drive somewhere in the night time to buy your won.

I have stayed in Best Western through out the years this was by far the worst one! The room was dirty and out dated!!! Being in the first floor it smelled like chlorine from the indoor pool!! The only nice employee was the young first desk lady I believe her name was Mindy ! The rest of the staff was grumpy!! I would not recommend this place to anyone I will never return here .

Hotel is clean with friendly staff, standard breakfast (24 hour coffee available) and close to restaurants & activities. Nice indoor pool, but disappointed hot-tub jets were not working. Overall, would stay again.

Wanted to give benefit of the doubt so we stayed in main hotel. The hotel is super outdated. The halls smell, pools are dirty. Thr bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The toilet was leaking entire time all over floor. It was leaving moisture in entire room. Bed was super mushy and uncomfortable. Do not stay! Stay is friendly and front desk but thats it.

Great place to stay, but there was bugs in the bathroom, but no other in other parts of room, staff was very pleasant and nice. Very quiet and nice pool area. The only problem was the bugs in the bathroom I didn't care for

The BW Lake George has been my go to since 2010. Staff and service are consistently very good. The property and rooms are in need of a refurb and update. Breakfast was very good and typical of the BW brand. Rooms were clean and sleep was comfortable. The place is dated, and needs an update.

Hotel was disgusting, dirty and poorly maintained. Odors everywhere! Rooms are run down, doors in extremely obscene conditions leading to an unsafe feeling. I have never stayed at a hotel in such a state of dirtiness and disrepair

While the facilities were OK and clean, our room was not ready until 7 PM. I chock this up to the current work force and inability to hire enough quality employees. The employees I did interact with were very friendly and helpful. The king size bed was very soft and unsupportive while the full size bed in the suite was the same. Lack of water pressure was an issue in our room. The outside and indoor pools were great. The continental breakfast was great and the area was very clean.

My wife and I stayed at Best Western. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They served breakfast which was good.I liked that they had a coffee machine which also served hot water 24/7. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great right off the highway. Not far far the attraction in Lake George. I would highly recommend Best Western and will be returning.

1 night stay. Desk staff friendly and efficient. Room and property clean and quiet. Decent hot/cold breakfast selection (all the normal offerings for this hotel level). Only complaint pools did not open until 10am. Earlier would have been appreciated to use pool/hot tub and have time to shower/change in room before 11am checkout

The stay was very good. Rooms were clean, parking was spacious. Breakfast was very delicious. The location is very near to all the locations - cusch as outlet malls, Lake George and other market places.

Stayed 1 night. In major need of updating, carpet smelt bad, hallway smelt of urine. Close to the interstate. Pool was nice to use. Breakfast was ok. I would not recommend, save your money and stay away.

I stayed at two other hotels while in Lake George before going to Best Western. It was the third hotel we stayed at. We moved around looking for a nicer hotel with a great price. Best Western was the best one. If I had known this it would have been my only choice. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. I was happy with everything. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here while attending a basketball tournament in glens falls. The location was convenient- right off the highway and between glens falls and lake George. Also close to all the outlets. We spent 2 nights. The room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast in the morning always a plus- it's a timesaver and money saver. Hot offerings, cereal, fruit , yogurt, etc. pretty standard fare. It had a small indoor pool and hot tub, which we didn't use, but many kids in the hotel did. There is also an outdoor pool. Front staff friendly and accommodating- we needed to add another night after our team won and they accommodated us with no problem at the same rate. Would definitely recommend.

The room was comfortable enough but the faucet in the tub could not be completely turned off. As it was after 11:00 PM, we decided to close the bathroom door. IN the morning, we found that the handle to turn on the shower was broken off. As we were on a tight schedule, when we checked out, we let the front desk know. The person at the front desk was a bit incredulous but said that they would look into it. (I do know how to turn on a shower.) FOr what we paid for the room, we should have had working plumbing.

My family of 4 was in the area for a softball tournament at The Dome. Hotel location was 10 minutes from the facility and only 2 minutes from downtown Lake George! The hotel room had updated bedding and bathrooms, an indoor pool, 24 hour coffee/tea/microwave in the lobby, and a breakfast that included a make your own waffle station! All in all a great stay, that we have already recommended to friends and plan to go back next year!

What started out as a nice stay soon became a nighmare ... This hotel allows guests to sit in the hallways with coolers full of booze and their kids running up and down the hallway for hours on end . When we asked the front desk about it he said and I quote " well what would you like me to do about it " They have little kids " So another words f*** everyone else ! I have never in my life experienced such disregard for others comfort in a hotel as this . Then he said well they can't have alcoholic beverages in the pool area .... so i guess that means the hallway becomes the holtel flop and bar... to make it worse they then proceeded to go to the pool with their drinks and nothing was done about that either ..... Just the most unbelievable experience I have ever had at a chain hotel SMH

Dont epect to use a pull out in the lgr suites, when you get there they have signs on the furniture that they are non functioning and broken, spoke to staff, they said its been that way for years the breakfast monitor is rude and nasty, at 2 mins after 10 am, she stopped my wife at the door and pounded her hand on the table and demanded that a pre packaged muffin had to be pu back and not taken, yet people still eating breakfast, absurd, and embaressing

We had a room on the first floor right by an exit door. It was not.locked and anyone could come in if they wanted. I prefer a door that requires a room key to enter the building . I would not have felt safe if traveling alone. The hotel is in need of some updating.

This hotel is in a great location if visiting lake George . It is an older hotel that looks like tgeir starting to renovate. The bathroom was updated, the bed was ok, the room was clean but dated . Staff was friendly and helpful. Pricing was about the going rate for the time of the year. Close to everything but quiet at night .

Good amenities, both indoor/outdoor pools were clean and available. Good WiFi and selection of cable channels. Excellent selection of hot and cold breakfast foods. Extended breakfast hours during Car show weekend. 24 hour coffee, tea, iced coffee in Lobby. Clean, sanitized rooms and non-contact replacement of towels, etc.

Room was infested with flies so bad that we had to get fly traps and raid. Room had a small and was not very clean. Bathroom was gross hair in tub, moldy, paint was falling off, and zero pressure in shower and sinks. Closet door was broken and came off. Staff was great breakfast was good. Pools were good a little dirty. Overall very unsatisfied. I will not be staying again. I gave 2 because of staff, breakfast, and location. We stayed in the suite. Walking through hotel halls had a very bad smell.

The hotel is right off the main expressway. It is not walking distance to the attractions, unless you are prepared to walk quite a distance. There are two restaurants close to the hotel, however most close early and don't have delivery. Door dash is extremely limited, so plan ahead and really do your research before arriving. We had never been to the area and the rooms do not have any information about the restaurants or events, and when we asked the front desk clerk about local restaurants she responded “there are a lot in the area” which was of no help at all. There is a gift shop and golf course/ arcade about 2 minutes from the hotel, but there is no waking path to get there, so you can walk along side of the highway- not a far walk, but cars are going 65mph and don't slow down- or drive there. We walked and ended up running when there were no cars coming (about 20 feet) but several cars honked and screamed at us. The rooms are clean and spacious. We had a suite. It showed signs of water damage on all the ceilings and the bathroom walls were cracked and wall paper was peeling. Aside from that it was a nice room and worth the cost. There was nothing in the room that listed hotel amenities or anything about restaurants or events in the area. We had no idea if the hotel had an ice machine or vending machine or where they could possibly be located, or if the hotel had a gym and possible location. We were given a hand out explaining breakfast and housekeeping. That's all we were provided. Breakfast was decent. The staff were very friendly and personable. One provided us with information on sites to see along the way to Lake Placid and had our favorite cereal out the next day. She was the highlight of our stay and really stood out. Covid guidelines were followed, however several patrons were rude to staff and tried not to follow them, which is really unfair to the staff and other patrons. Housekeeping did a good job, no complaints. Pool was nice and Uncrowded. Towels were provided, but we didn't know this because our room didn't have anything explaining hotel amenities at all, which is unheard of for a hotel in a tourist location. We later found out from hearing other guests talk that there is a sister hotel in the village that we could park at for free, however (again) we weren't told this and paid for parking. All in all I would recommend, but if you're looking for something in the middle of the action don't stay here. Also, research the area and be prepared with names of restaurants, hours, menus and what events/attractions are in the area, because the hotel does nothing have any local information available.

Have not had ANY bad experiences at Best Westerns we've been to over the years and that's a good thing. You know what to expect. Friendly front desk, room was ready, even smelled clean when we walked in. Serve yourself continental breakfast was good and person overseeing did a great job and very friendly. Not walking distance to town though ((all uphill on way back)) unless you are a real hiker.

Great staff. Great location. Clean rooms. Clean pool area. I have stayed two years prior and will continue to do so. Close to downtown so if one is adventurous, one could walk. Great for families as is fun, but, quiet.

Room not as promised. Rude staff. Covid unsafe. Dirty indoor pool. Overcrowded breakfast room. Have not received response from guest relations as promised. Did not receive 20 dollar gift certificate per night stay as promised. VERY DISAPOINTED. Will not use Best Western again.

Worth $50 not $300, carpets are disgusting, my air conditioner didn't work, the bathroom door doesn't close, staff was friendly just would never ever consider staying there again, the damn carpets are gross!!!!!

As a regular visitor to the Lake George BW, my family always has a great time as staff are friendly, breakfast is well organized, my kids love the outdoor pool, and the location of the hotel is situated to the Million Dollar Beach and other restaurants and shops. Highly recommend.

Just arrived with my family. The building that I am in has an incredibly strong smell of Glade plugins all through the hallways and the room itself smells unclean. Im on the second floor. It is so smelly here that I I have the AC on all the way and windows wide open. This is how it will have to be for all 5 days.bgood thing no rain in forecast. I haven't even stayed the night yet. Will try to make the best of it.. I should have just stayed one of the simple motels on the other side of the village.. Anyway I spoke to the front desk about it, no room change and they said all of the standard double rooms are in this building, which is what I have. I really wanted to like this place, Unfortunately I can never be back regardless of service. The smell is just so offensive. It's tainted my whole vacation. Going to try to spend as little time here as possible.

Having a family member who has a disability we were given a first floor room that was right off the lobby!!! It was terrific. Everything from the morning breakfast to the way they handled our towels and trash was Great! Everyone at the lobby was absolutely Wonderful and very helpful!!! The room was very clean as well as the bathrooms!!! We were able to use the indoor pool and hot tub as well as the outdoor pool when the weather was cooperative. The Best Western is a great location half way between everything that is available in the area!!! I would recommend this Best Western to Everyone!!!

Just returned from the Best Western in Lake George. I read reviews on this site from others and decided on this hotel. First, the staff at the front desk were great. I really thought the woman working during the breakfast time was outstanding. Now...I was on the first floor and as I entered the building to my floor there was a smell. The carpets need to be replaced and there were dead bugs in the hallway. I figured it would be be vacuumed up (I was staying 2 nights) but that never happened. When I got to my room the bathroom was very nice (updated) BUT there was an old "smell". I never complained but should have. I have been to many Best Westerns before but I must admit this was pretty bad and I won't go again to this particular hotel. I hope this helps others....also I was given a paper to fill out what towels I needed and other "amenities" which were delivered to my door since they were not coming in the room to do beds or even vacuum...lol

I was excited to stay at the Best Western in Lake George after booking the room. From the pictures and the reviews I thought it was going to be great. Let me start by saying what was great. The two staff members I talked with at the front desk. They were extremely nice and very pleasant. Upon entering our room the first thing I noticed was it was clearly not vacuumed, there was a tray of pink goo in the refrigerator. The bathroom floor had little pieces of paper and loose change on it. The toilet was the smallest I've ever seen outside of an elementary school. And the mattress was the worst I've ever slept on. It literally felt like a bag full of styrofoam packing peanuts. When I sat on the bed it compressed all the way to the box springs. The hotel is beginning to show its age. The pictures on Trip Advisor are either really old or cleverly taken. Is it the worst hotel I've stayed in? No. The breakfast area seemed very clean and the food “looked” good but after seeing the cleanliness of the room we decided to go out for breakfast. In the hotels defense I didn't make a complaint or give them a chance to rectify it. We were only there for one night so I didn't want to deal with it and just lived with it.

Most things at the hotel were great. The outdoor pool was lovely. Breakfast was a little crowded on the weekends and I think it would have been nice to have a few more hot options. Overall, pretty good stay! Very conveniently located in Lake George

Great place to stay love all the amenities. Staff is super friendly , rooms are clean.pools are nice .The best amenities are that your able to park for free at there sister hotel in the village.The only down side is it's not on the lake.

The location of the hotel is why we chose to stay here. It was very close to the village without being overwhelmed with the heavy village traffic. The room was very clean when we arrived. Housekeepers still do not enter the room for stay overs which is perfectly fine because they will replenish anything you need (towels, shampoo, etc..). The breakfast was pretty good for being a standard hotel continental breakfast. Loved that there was an indoor and outdoor pool since we hit some not so great weather during our trip. And finally the staff was all very wonderful. No complaints at all. Would definitely return to this location!

We had need of a one night stay due to a water outage at our summer place in Warrensburg. The service to the pump wasn't done in time for our weekend stay so I made a reservation at Best Western Lake George, NY. What a wonderful stay. Me and my family were greeted with warm smiles from the front desk. The atmosphere was homey and pleasant. The staff were so accommodating and ready to be helpful. The room was comfy and clean. Then to top it off, we had a lovely breakfast complimentary with out stay. There was a great array of food offerings from hot to cold. And it was quite delicious, too. I look forward to staying at the Best Western again and highly recommend as a great stay and value, this delightfully family oriented hotel.

This hotel is very clean, the customer service is excellent, the ladies attending the breakfast area were above and beyond, the indoor and outdoor pools are very well maintained and in very nice condition. I found the beds comfortable and clean. My little kids loved it. I recommend it for families with little kids.

Very friendly staff. Ladies in the breakfast room were kind and helpful, and when we returned hours after checkout, the man at the front desk heroically retrieved the stuffed animal my daughter left behind!!!

Everything was perfect! There were 2 pools so when the weather was not the greatest, there was an indoor one as well as a hot tub. The breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious. Everything was easy to find and all of the staff were very friendly. The woman working the breakfast was so precious. Definitely would stay there again! Everything was within 10 minutes.

We stayed at this great hotel for 3 nights. Very clean, spacious rooms. Service is superb. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. Breakfast was delicious with variety of choices for different tastes. Both indoor and outdoor pools were a big plus, especially on rainy days. Highly recommend staying here.

Friendly staff… Very Clean….Full hot breakfast! The breakfast area is maintained very well and restocked as necessary immediately. There is a beautiful outside pool with several umbrella tables. Easy in and out steps! Plenty of parking! 3 lock security room doors made me very happy as I was traveling alone. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Hotel and staff were helpful and friendly but unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the people staying next door were so extremely loud! My husband and I got no sleep. We did not complain to the front desk, so they did nothing wrong. I would not, however, stay in this hotel again.

I will say this will sound like a mixed review, but with COVID, we had to cancel another trip out of state, so we stayed in New York. It was also our first time out of the hours. First and foremost, the staff was great in every way. Positive, nice, and willing in every way. It was nice that the location was a little bit out of downtown, so those at the hotel were able to get away. The pools were in good to very good shape, and my pile of kids (21 to 11) loved the hot tub. The challenge was a little bit with cleanliness, and slow pickup of garbage being picked up in the morning. Fortunately, we've taken this group a number of times to manage to it. Also, the is totally due to COVID, breakfasts were bagged, which was necessary, but there was no variety over the four days were there. We must have left a dozen oranges in our rooms. So, for the "why" we ended up in Lake George, it was a great place for our family. It is no-frills, but overall a good property.

This location has a lot going for it: the rooms are very clean. There is a small refrigerator and plenty of little shampoos and conditioners. The mattress was very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and the breakfast crew was very personable and happy. A hot breakfast is included, with coffee, juices, sausage, eggs and waffles, plus an assortment of muffins, cereals and yogurts. There are two covered picnic tables outside or you can dine in the breakfast room. Staff distributes the food to you to follow safety protocols. There is also plexi glass at the breakfast and the front desk. The rooms have stickers on the door that they are sanitized and sealed. There are parking privileges at a sister hotel in town for free, so ask about that. The front desk even offered us bottled water for our trip home. The downside is that the room was very noisy. We were woken up at 3:45 a.m. by other guests. There must be no soundproofing because it sounded like they were in the room with us! We were awoken periodically by other loud guests. Finally, I used ear plugs. For this reason, I don't think I would return, but maybe it is quieter in the off season.

One thing that stuck out while staying at this hotel is how they let us park at there sister hotel Fort William Henry, so we did not have to look for a parking space or pay a crazy amount for parking. It was a HUGE deal so that was awesome. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms were in good shape. Overall it was a good stay and I would stay there again in the future. It was nice to see people serving breakfast in the morning such as eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal and more. The ONLY problem I had is there was a big ethnic family taking up most of the pool and wasn't very considerate when my 14 year old was trying to swim and their kids were wearing dirty underwear instead of bathing suits. other than that, the hotel was very good.

The breakfast was hot and delicious! The breakfast had a large variety of choices from oatmeal to waffles and more. Friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. All the COVID rules were followed. We had car trouble and need a later check out and they were willing to let us check out at 1pm.

Helpful, knowledgeable staff on check in and check out, helpful with additional requests, clean, sanitized rooms on arrival; covid restricts additional room service but I'm sure they would provide if asked, indoor and outdoor pool, great continental breakfast and hands free service.

I left the Baymont by Wyndham in Queensbury early because of the awful one night. Having seen a couple of BW before, I was a bit skeptical of staying there, nonetheless, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Boy was I glad I did. The property is very well maintained, the staff are remarkable and they actually served real breakfast with all the COVID-19 protocols in place. Rooms are awesome and comfortable and the bathroom was very updated. The room smelled great and beds were very comfortable. The housekeeping ladies were also remarkable. I would definitely stay here again and you won't be disappointed staying here. The only problem I saw was the back parking lot was a bit dark and could use more lighting. It could easily be of concern for women at night. Other then that, great stay.

Awful experience. Bed and pillows were lumpy. The room had a terrible odor. Noise outside of room on and off all night. Room needs updating. Needs to be sound proofed. Remote control didn't work well!

Although a bit far to stay for Killington in VT, we would stay again for Gore or locally in Lake George in a future visit. The receptionist for our very late arrival was friendly and funny (in a Ha Ha way). The manned buffet (due to COVID) was handled quickly and professionally. And he was also attentive and friendly to the guests after their food was served. Besides the wifi (good and reliable) we didn't use any of the other facilities. Hopefully next time.

We have stayed here more than once. They have suites that can sleep 10 people. We travel with our close family and love spending time playing games, watching movies and all being together. This hotel makes that possible. Breakfast every morning , pool for the kids and close to everything. Cant wait to go back again next year!

During this difficult time as a country and sub zero temperatures the BW LG was exactly what my family needed to get away for a weekend. The hotel has all the regular ammenities you would expect but where it really made the difference was its attention to detail. From the temperatures of the pool and hot tub being just right to the amazingly attentive staff during breakfast they really were a cut above. Abiding by all of the additional proper safety and cleaning regualtions brought on by Covid 19 they somehow were able to accomplish the goal of informing all guests of the regulations while simultaneously making you feel safe and appreciative to have them. This is something in my travels I have found is more difficult than one would think as it normally comes off demanding and condecending. Thank you from my family for the much needed escape from reality that our stay provided. Will be making this a yearly visit.

Had an awesome time. Always stay every winter at this hotel in lake george several times during the winter. Comfortable beds and big rooms and great water pressure in bathroom. Felt extra safe this year during covid with stickers on door locks showing rooms sealed after being sanitized. You wake up and go downstairs for one of the best breakfast you are ever going to get at a hotel especially when your paying under $100 a night. A nice hot breakfast with staff that prepares it for you too because of covid. The staff are beyond friendly wherever you go. Also the indoor pool they keep sooo nice and warm too and have a hot tub as well. I cannot say anything negative at all. The extra extra best thing I love most is the hotel is right on the snowmobile trail. 10 stars!!

Certainly a solid budget hotel. Painless check-in and convenient parking. All amenities in working order. Room was clean. Shower had solid water pressure, which is always nice! Only complaint is the hotel itself had kind of a musty odor. I'd come back.

We have stayed at numerous lodgings in Lake George but this was our first at Best Western. This was a last minute booking as we got into town a day earlier than expected and the young woman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was very enjoyable with plenty of Covid procedures in place.

Everything was great. No covid problems! It was perfect! I love the room. The pool/hot tub was great! Didn't have to worry about waiting for anyone else in the pool. Very quiet. Rooms were very warm. Can regulate the temp yourselves.

Stayed a few nights and it was a great Hotel! convenient to downtown Lake George and a quick jump to Glens Falls and Queensbury as well. Service was great, especially with all the Covid restrictions. Would def stay here again and again.

I was quarantined at this hotel because of international travels. The staff and accommodations were perfect for a long stay. I would strongly recommend this hotel. This is one of the few hotels still doing a freee breakfast

The original hotel we booked a month in advanced was closed when we arrived. Best Western saved us by getting us a great deal for the 2 nights we needed. Thank you! Great friendly staff and very accommodating. Very enjoyable and will definitely stay again.

Staffwas amazing. Hotel was clean everyone was a great help. The Continental breakfast was almost back to 100%, how it should be The only thing is that they served the hot foods which is good for now due to covid. I am so glad that the breakfast is backed the way it was because I stayed here back in August and all they did was give us a bag with a muffin in it and maybe a granola bar. So I'm very happy with the continental breakfast and everything else was so great

For my first experience at Lake George, the staff at Best Western were more than happy to make my brief stay enjoyable. Izzy did a great job in assisting me with my reservations, giving suggestions on booking a room and was pleasant during check-in. Josh continued with great service on recommending activities/attractions. The very next day, the manager was nice enough to reach out to further assist me with reservations. The room was comfortable and clean with tons of pillows. T'was truly a lovely stay.

Very friendly staff both at check-in and checkout. Beautiful clean comfortable room. Plenty of hot water with pressure. Quiet. Short walk to the village if you don't want to pay the exorbitant meter fees. No buffet which is really not the fault of the Best Western. Small grab and go breakfast so if you're a big meal of the day you may want to stop somewhere along the way. Would definitely stay again

Everything was clean, neat and inviting. We enjoyed the area and took advantage of a Ghost TOUR.The Staff was wonderful and willing to share different places to shop, eat and enjoy the water. Carole is an amazimg employee and a special person.

We were immediately greeted warmly. Check-in was easier than I expected though I was using my membership benefits from work. We had reciprocal usage, with another hotel on the lake our motel owned, where we had free parking and restroom facilities for all our sightseeing during the day. The reception staff helped me find the restaurant correctly for dinner. It was 0.5 miles away where I had thought it was two exits away. They gave me a village map and it assisted us in easily planning the rest of our first evening. The room lock was sealed with a sticker by housekeeping. We broke the sticker to enter our super clean room confident that no one had been in before us. The pool and hot tub temperatures were just right. We were checking out, but the staff let us keep our room key cards to get discounts at the museum we were going to next! We saved $4 each on admission with our Best Western guest cards. It is a definite that we will return to this facility, even as soon as this winter when the lake is frozen, just to enjoy the accommodations!

While booking the room, popup message about a problem with the room. Called the hotel, then BW, then a supervisor. All couldn't help. Absolutely no use to spend time as a member or as a caller to their customer service.

No breakfast to speak of. A bottle of water doesn't count. They needed to clean room. Using covid as an excuse is not acceptable. Management needs to remember the room was still paid for and was not a comp

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. Due to Covid the room was not cleaned on a daily basis but clean towels were always available at the front desk. Also due to Covid the breakfast is currently grab and go. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions.

This hotel is conveniently located off the highway and a 5 minute drive from the main attractions. I had a room with a double bed on the second floor. The room was clean but dark. There was a fridge in the room. There was no housekeeping while we stayed due to Covid-19 but staff was helpful if we needed anything like extra towels, soap, etc. There was no continental breakfast due to Covid-19. The hotel handed out to-go breakfasts that consist of a pastry, water, fruit and granola bar. I used it as a snack throughout the day and went out to get breakfast. There is an indoor pool. It's fairly small with a hot tub. There is also a pool outside and plenty of parking in the front and back. There were ice dispensers in the hotel and a microwave for guests use in the front lobby. My stay here was adequate; our basic needs were met.

Thank goodness we only checked in to sleep for one night. Large party of people in the parking lot blasting music, lighting charcoal grill, and tiki torches, right next to rooms. Indoor Pool chlorine odor was so intense it burned by eyes just sitting on the room. Side doors left propped open so anyone could walk into hotel. Didn't feel 100% safe

Checked in and got to room. Refrigerator had 1/2 empty bottle of drink in it. Hair in shower floor. For the first two nights kids running up & down halls making lots of noise at 11:00pm! Toilet not cleaned! Desk and nightstand not cleaned off from some food crumbs. At checkout discussed housekeeping problems with desk clerk! All that was said was he would pass it on to housekeeping. Stay clear of this place!

Our King rm on the 2nd floor was so dirty my wife & I were forced to move to different rm with 2 twin beds & that rm wasn't much better & the beds are awful ! Dirty pillow cases , hair all over bathroom .. INFORMED AT CHECKIN THAT THERE IS NO ELEVATOR in this hotel so if you enjoy dragging your luggage up 2 flights of stairs this is the place for you ! If you have back problems like me you will be in some serious pain after leaving this place ! Stay somewhere else ! Anywhere ! Or sleep in your car but avoid this place at all costs ! When I asked for 2 extra shower towels the front desk handed me 2 pool towels & informed me they were out of rm towels ! When I showed the clerk upon checkout A phot of a bug that was crawling in the rm he chuckled & said it was “ just an Adirondack bug “ .. absolutely disgusting !

The room we stayed in was a small newly renovated clean space. The bathroom was also renovated. Everything was immaculately clean in the room. The beds are very soft so I did not find that to be comfortable, but that is a personal preference. The refrigerator was ice cold and had a mini freezer inside of it that actually worked with freezing my ice packs. This came in handy for our trips to the beach. The room also has a safe which is always an added perk. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is so close to everything and right off the highway. We did not use the pool, but I did notice that pool towels are provided. We were not happy at all with the poor quality of the internet service. The parking lot and grounds could use a face lift. The staff was always polite, observing safety guidelines, and helpful.

My boyfriend and I loved our stay at this hotel. The room was amazing, clean and comfy. Yes, things are a little outdated around the hotel but in the room, that didn't effect our experience. The shower looked like it was recently renovated which I absolutely loved! Both the inside and outside pools were open. The woman at check-in was friendly and it was quick. We didn't have housekeeping service due to Covid but I did run into a housekeeper in the hallway and she was super smiley and bubbly for early morning. Her energy was contagious! We plan and visit Lake George again this year and will probably make it a yearly thing and I'm sure we'll be staying here each time :) So close to everything we were looking for as well!

A real value during the peak travel season. The staff, service and room was a perfect ten. No reason to go anywhere else, when you continue to offer so much to your customers, at such a reasonable price. There's no doubt, you continue to do all the right things, and your loyal customers appreciate you for it.

Pleasantly supprised with my choice of staying at Best Western in Lake George. No problems at all during my short stay in BW. Would recommend staying here for first timers or repeat visitors to the area

First of all, this hotel is in terrible condition. The carpets, drapes, furnishings, etc seem to be very old and worn out. The beds are not comfortable. They advertise that they are taking extra measures during the Covid pandemic, yet when we checked in, we had to ask them to clean our room because it was DISGUSTING. There was hair on the bathroom floors (we stayed in two conjoined rooms with two bathrooms), clearly it hadn't been vacuumed as there were crumbs everywhere and clothing tags on the floor from the previous guests. While you get the standard "no smoking or you'll get a cleaning fee" speech, the hallways on both levels smelled like marijuana 24/7. There were people drinking and partying all night long in their rooms and in the hallways, so unless you can sleep through a frat party, you won't get a lot of rest. Considering that they aren't serving the hot breakfast, the price you will pay to stay here is not a good value at all. Overall, it seems like the kind of establishment that would rent rooms by the hour. If it wasn't for the fact that we really didn't want the hassle of finding someplace else to go, we would have checked out after the first night.

This place would have been great. Everyone was very, very friendly and pleasant. The only complaint my family has was there was about 4 small buses of KIDS ( easily 50-75) and like maybe 10 adults who were horrible! They ran around all hours of the night. The entire down stairs; which was all booked from this group, smell like pot sooo bad. Our room thankfully didn't smell otherwise I would have called up the front desk. They had the entire indoor and outdoor pool packed, all unsupervised because they kept running from the inside pool to the outside pool. we couldn't really go in the outside pool for more then like 20 minutes. I would come back if there wasn't a crowd like that. I understand they really couldn't do much since I booked only 1 room and they booked almost half the hotel. I would like to try this hotel again next time we come up here. Our room was clean and nice. The bed was very very comfortable. I didn't care for the pillows they were very full and thick; I don't like those kind but others do. The shower was beautiful. My son who had an adjourning room his shower head lite up like 4 different colors it was awesome!!!

Booked 3 nights mid week pre season on Priceline so the price was right! Sparkling clean pool, newly renovated room, and modern bathroom. Front desk staff was pleasant and check in was a breeze. Due to covid 19 the hotel is not offering their breakfast (totally understandable) but substituting with grab and go breakfast bags each morning for guests. Will return!

Clearly the people who work here are happy. We stayed one night for a ski trip to Gore, but will be back whenever we are in the area. They know how to run a hotel, Best Western please give the managers and staff an award.

We are a family of 6 and stayed here for a weekend skiing at Gore. Beds/Bedding were clean and very comfortable. Bathroom could have used some repair/cleaning. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was really was great and well kept.

We wanted to book a hotel in lake George for valentines weekend last minute. We needed 3 rooms so we were happy they could accommodate us last minute. Rooms were clean and comfortable. However all the kids used the pool of course including my 4 month old. Next day they all had Severe burns from to much Chlorine.

Great place to stay while in Lake George, indoor and outdoor pools. A tad dated as a hotel, but still a fun place to stay. Very close to the mini putt and souvenir shop, also close to the heart of town and the beach:)

My wife & I decided to take a trip off-season to Lake George, a place we hadn't been to in 31 yrs since our kids were young. We chose BW, not just because of the price, but also based on our prior BW stays elsewhere. We were not disappointed. Firstly, when I was having trouble booking online, the room that we wanted seemed to sell out before I could finalize the booking, I called the hotel directly and talked with Carol about what had happened. She immediately looked into it & helped me book the room we wanted. When we arrived, the entrance & lobby were both clean and inviting. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was coffee, tea & hot chocolate available in the lobby 24 hrs, which we helped ourselves to when we came back at night. Breakfast was fresh and had more than enough items to choose from to start the day. Besides the waffle station, there were 2 hot trays, eggs & sausage. There was a variety of both hot & cold kinds of cereal, breads, muffins, fruits & yogurt. And, oh yeah, juices, teas & coffee. Every morning, we saw Carol at the front desk, who was both extremely friendly and very helpful with her knowledge of the area and its changes since we were there last. We are looking forward to going back in the near future with our family and will most definitely stay here.

Best Western of Lake George is ideally located just outside of all the hustle and bustle of the town yet close enough to walk to restaurants, activities and into the hustle and bustle if so desired. The staff is excellent. The rooms were neat and clean. Sheets were little stiff on the one bed. The windows opened so as to get fresh air. HVAC unit was quiet - filters did need to be cleaned. liked the layout of the room - not cramped. Great place to stay for Lake George adventure.

The Best Western of Lake George was a delight to stay at. The staff was friendly and accommodating , the breakfast was good and convenient, the rates were reasonable and the hotel was clean. What more can you ask for?????

ONE CLASS ACT! Had a collision with a dog while riding on my second day of Americade. Was refunded the remaining nights, and they sent a get well card to my home during recovery. Was my third stay there and has always been a great choice for me !

Came there for one night.This was one of the only choices, since many hotels were fully booked for this weekend. I thought as a brand, BW offers more new hotels. But this was not it. It seems as if this was a Motel 6 and has been given a few changes. The pool is nice, but needs very good rinsing off, as skin smells very much like bleach. We didn't use breakfast option, but it was included which is nice in any case. The whole building seems to creek when walking. So, although there were other guests and they were very respectful during night time hours, I could hear every step, every whisper, every door handle opening and closing. Then also the door has a huge gap. There is not much difference if the door would have been open. This has nothing to do with the staff, but BW, as a brand should be helping to fix this entire building. Although many hotel options, I haven't found a nice hotel yet in that area upstate NY. As an emergency option I would return, but to enjoy a nice hotel I am sorry to say, not at all.

Very inviting, makes us feel good...Employees are very polite and friendly which makes us feel welcomed and also that they are happy to see us back again. All I can say is that everyone is polite,and smiling and looks like they are happy to see us.The only negative is the carpet in the hallway, it looks terrible and I know that it's only a couple of years. I think last year was the first time I saw it and when I opened the side door I thought there was no carpet, it looked like the floor had been sanded, the color of that carpet is horrible. Again this year when we walked in, it's stunning, just had to mention it...

We frequent the LG area and had never tried this hotel before so we figured we would give it a try! Pros: Right off the highway, centrally located, quiet property (at least when we visited!) Free breakfast was also a plus! One of the things that I really liked is that although they do not have a gym on the property, they do offer passes to Planet Fitness in Queensbury (about ten minutes away) which we used. GREAT perk that would make me return. The staff was also really nice. Bud gave us some waters on the way out when checking out. Overall really nice service and stay - would return!

The staff were extremely courteous and personable. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. The room was very clean, all appliances worked and the bath/shower water was quite desirably hot. Though I did not use it, the indoor pool area looked very inviting.

The hotel price was a little expensive because there was a car show going on at the time. I believe a cost should stay the same regardless of what event is around. Why pay more for an attraction when the hotel is not giving more for the extra money. You should pay for what the hotel is offering and not because there is an event in town that draws more people. More people means full vacancy, not extra money

Clean rooms, beds were very comfortable, nice decor, great staff. Indoor and outdoor pool w/ jacuzzi.Can walk to Golf Word for a round of mini golf. Right off the highway. I would highly recommend. Only issue was the frige door didn't shut tight. That would need to be fixed, if we stayed longer.

Room was musty and small. Towels were paper thin, while sheets and other linens were well worn and stained. Service was friendly and trolley very convenient to town/village. Bad outweighed the good here...

The entire staff was great. The room clean and the Breakfast was just rite. The two pools were always clean and refreshing after our walk down to Lake George. When it came time to leave, check out was breeze they even gave us a couple bottles of water for the drive back home. We'll go back there again I'm sure.

The beds and bedding were awful and felt like plastic hospital beds with sheets that weren't wide enough for the bed. The check in staff promised to text me when my room was ready, but never did, and then checked in other guests ahead of me when I came in from my car an hour later to find out why it was taking so long. They did not acknowledge or apologize for their error. Very frustrating. Breakfast was painfully crowded, so I ended up just leaving without eating.

Convenient and friendly place to stay! When deciding to visit the area I really wanted a hotel with a water view but after researching I decided with the kids it would be better to have breakfast before we went out on our day trips. I was very happy with my choice.

Our room at Best Western was warm and welcoming. Indoor pool was relaxing. We had coffee tea a s water available as guest of the hotel along with fresh fruits. The breakfast was out standing. We will be standing again soon

This is our third trip to Lake George with our grandkids. This year my wife found that the BEST WESTERN had a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms and separate kitchen. A BIG plus when traveling with children. The referred to noise is due to location just off I87N. Outdoor pool was great. Included breakfast adequate. Weather was great so we passed on indoor pool.

The hotel is in a good location, away from the noise of the center of the village but still within short walking distance of some restaurants, 2 gas stations, 2 mini golf courses (1 behind the hotel) and the shopping outlets down the road. I87 is right off the driveway if you're planning on going out of town for the day (took me under 2hrs to Lake Saranac, 1h30 Lake Placid, 30-40min to the mines, stone bridge and North Creek). There are plenty of parking spaces, lots of room unlike the cramped driveways of the places in the village. There is a trolley shuttle bus that goes to the village every hour. The staff was friendly and attentive, check in and check out were quick. Get to breakfast early (before 830) or you will probably have to wait for a seat. There are 2 outdoor picnic tables but those get taken up during breakfast too. The picnic tables were the only outdoor seating after dark after the outdoor pool is locked. The Fort William Henry Hotel owns this Best Western location which I found out during check in. They allow guests at this Best Western to park at their hotel (leave the BW Hotel Card Key on your dash) and use their pools. It's a perfect place to park; you're already next to the village or walk behind the hotel to get to the beach and waterfront. Saves quite a bit on parking and gives you access to a bigger pool than the Best Western has. You can also watch the fireworks from the hotel too, the barge they launch from moves straight ahead of the back of the hotel. The room and the rest of the hotel were clean. No dust on the furniture. The shower, toilet, sink and mirrors were spotless. Linens were clean and housekeeping even managed to sneak in and out while I was at breakfast to make the beds and replace the towels on a few days. Everything worked, AC was fine, plenty of hot water in the morning, beds were comfortable with 4 pillows each and spare pillows and blankets already in the closet. The main hallway did have a particular smell which I think mostly comes from the humidity caused by the indoor pool. I saw no evidence of bugs or rodents, not even a spider. The pools were checked and cleaned daily and they kept fresh towels for the pools all day so I didn't even need to bring my own. Outdoor pool has plenty of chairs and space so you shouldn't feel crowded. The indoor pool has a small Jacuzzi. There is road noise from I87 which the hotel sits next to if you are planning to spend time at the outdoor pool. Outdoor pool closes at dusk, indoor closes 10pm. The no pets policy wasn't enforced. At least 3 different guests had their dogs with them. One of them was a small dog barking at night in the room next to mine, I reported this to the staff on 2 nights and they did get the dog to stop barking but I discovered my neighbors were long term guests who would leave the dog alone and they'd frequently have to call them to come back to the hotel. Noise insulation between the rooms was not great. I could hear people walking around in the room above mine and could hear voices and sounds from bathrooms and TV's in nearby rooms. It wasn't so bad that it really bothered me or stopped me from sleeping but if you're expecting near dead silence it won't be the case. The building is another Best Western takeover of a former hotel so the condition of the interior isn't quite perfect. Looking closely there was some cracked plaster under the paint in my room, the floor wasn't even under the carpet, the shower liner was crooked and peeling away from the wall behind it where you put your shampoo bottle. It was painted in a hurry with stray paint marks on places where it shouldn't be, the carpet molding on the walls was peeling off (it was only stapled on where it was coming off), the headboards were loose, shower curtain rod was loose and the chairs in my room were a little old and the cushioning was worn out on them. I think the place used to be styled like a lodge before it was changed to a Best Western. Overall a good experience, no major issues. Just expect some cosmetic imperfections, road noise outside, and a little sound from your neighbors. And lots of Canadians.

Room and staff were great. They even had the extra pillows we requested. The staff was friendly and informative. Breakfast was excellent and everything was always full (thank you Nancy)! Robin the housekeeper was great kept us in towels! We had a broken hair drier it was replaced with in minutes! The front desk told us on arrival about the fireworks that night and were to park - made for an amazing night. We were concerned when we read some of the reviews after booking and found no validity to the negative reviews.

Dont expect anything fancy. Basic, clean safe hotel that gets the job done. Breakfast is good. Pools are wonderful consisting of a smaller indoor pool , but a o foot outdoor pool Location is next to the highway exit, which seemed a bit busy. But overall like it!

I came for a day trip to Lake Geo, but decided I was having so much fun I wanted to stay the nite. I had heard from family about Best Western in LG and called them to get a fabulous price,.... mid summer. Since I was not expecting to stay over nite I did not bring any toiletries etc and they actually provided them free for the asking at the Front Desk. Room was comfortable and the TV had SOOO many channels. Breakfast in the A.m is included besides coffee/tea in the rooms.I have stayed in almost every Hotel in Lake Geo in my 20 years' of going and this was the BEST . Yes ,it is a bit out of the village proper but it makes up for it

Great hotel. Very clean, good amenities. It is in a perfect location to village, stores, and restaurants. Friendly staff. I would definetly stay again. Family friendly. My family and I had a wonderful time.

We purposely chose not to stay on the Lake George main street because we were going to be visiting other sites in the region as well. This hotel is conveniently located on a spur road between Rte 9 and I-87, so it gave us really great access to the outlet stores, restaurants, main street Lake George, and highways. We did not detect any road noise. Breakfast was great and the attendants were personable and very good workers. A downside is that this facility does not offer queen rooms...only doubles and a few kings, but we adapted.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Wonderful motel! Bud manager at front desk goes above and beyond! We have stayed here before. Always a great experience! The breakfast is really nice and Elsie in the breakfast area goes above and beyond waiting on the guests bringing food to the tables and just very pleasant and makes you feel welcome! Nice clean hotel! They have a nice indoor pool and sauna and outdoor pool. The gentlemen that takes care of the pool was also very pleasant! All the workers very pleasant and helpful! conveniently located right off highway and on RT RT 9 near all attractions!

The Best Western suited the purpose well and loved the pools and spa! Rooms are very dark and bathroom was really small and did not like that sink was behind the door! Service was good! Beds were uncomfortable and pillows! You get what you pay for and it was in a good location ! Not too shabby overall!

Although this was not the worst hotel we've ever stayed at it had some issues and after looking around the area, for what we spent to stay for four nights I would look at other options. The staff was friendly but the facility is worn and has some issues and when you are looking for a place to get away from the stress of life why would you want to go somewhere that doesn't make your experience a memorable stress free stay?? Our overall opinion is not the worst but far from a great time! if you're looking for a quick overnight stay in a clean bed it's OK but if you want a place you will make a home base maybe not this one, look elsewhere! Peace...

We stayed 6/29/19. Right off highway, tucked in trees. Checked in early. Hallway has a funky smell but room was fine. AC worked well. Had king, queen suite, 2 bathrooms. Having a second TV in queen room would have been nice. TV wasn't working. Housekeeping got maintenance to fix it while we went out for a bit. No other issues. Even though by highway, cant hear a thing. Mini golf is literally around the corner. Beautiful pool. Great rates compared to hotels down the street in village.

My go to hotel right off the Lake George strip. The staff are great I love the free fruit at check in and water. Frist hotel right off the northway dont have to get involved with downtown traffic. Very clean good price second stay will be back again.

My husband and I stayed here during Americade Bike Week. I found our room to have a funny smell and we were moved right away. The staff were great about it. The location was great and we were able to have our bike right outside our window.

Went with a group of friends to Americade. The staff are friendly, helpful and the rooms nicely appointed. The breakfast is excellent, waffles, cereal, eggs & sausage. I would recommend staying here again

Very good staff, easy check-in and check-out, nice outdoor pool ( not heated) and indoor pool, lots of room for parking, cars or trailers. Rooms clean,free breakfast in the morning including coffee and fruit juices. Overall very satisfied, the front desk manager Mr. Bud Halijbe goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and supply you with whatever you might need, as much as possible.

With exception to an unlikely water problem we experienced during our stay that the hotel quickly addressed, the hotel fit our weekend get-away needs perfectly. Tucked just off the main road, the hotel was quiet yet still conveniently located to downtown (not walking distance, however, that wasn't one of our requirements). The rooms were clean and accommodating, the hotel staff was all very kind, and breakfast got the job done before we headed out on daily adventures.

This hotel had excellent staff at the front desk for both our check in and our check out. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean and fully stocked with toiletries. The satellite dish or cable company though was terrible, television shows were freezing up or not coming on at all and no there was not any inclement weather so that was kinda a drag. My biggest complaint was the noisy disrespectful guests across the hall. They apparently had two rooms and the kids constantly were going in and out the heavy doors well until midnight, running in the halls, loud talking by the adults kinda made the stay pretty unpleasant. It was like they were the only guests and had the whole place to themselves. Yes, I could have complained about both the tv and the noise but what good would it have done? Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast, there were staff present to restock and clean things. Overall it was an average stay.

Price was very good so we chose this hotel. After booking, I read from another reviewer that the bed was not comfortable - I have to say, I agree. The room was clean, but it didn't look like it was dusted thoroughly. The furniture was quite outdated and a bit worn. The outside pool was very nice, but the inside pool looked like there was a film on it. Perhaps the water does not get filtered? The location of this hotel is great - right off of I-87, walking distance to a mini golf and a few minute drive to the Lake as well as Great Escape!

The walls are paper thin, and you hear absolutely everything. Neighbours have 0 respect for other paying customers. So much for quiet time after 10 pm. Even with the TV on to block some of the noise, people are out all hours banging doors, talking in front of your room. Indoor pool is way too small for the number of people in the hotel. Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about. Too many people, and staff can't keep up with demand. Won't be staying here again.

The beds were not comfortable ended up leaving early cause of that but it was priced goood and service was good and location is great if your gonna be in Lake George for couple days I would recommend you stay here if your on a budget

Conveniently located right of Interstate 87 in Lake George NY. This hotel is a very well maintained facility. The staff are very courteous and knowledgeable. Rooms are clean. Complimentary breakfast is fantastic. Recommend that you stay at Best Western of Lake George when you are in the area

The employees were so welcoming and helpful. Unknowingly we went there a week before everything opened so we had a lot of time to figure out things to do. Thanks to the staff at the best western they helped us and they went above and beyond. Even the lady in the dining area who did breakfast was amazing and helpful. The pool was great the hot tub was great. The beds were just what my back needed. Not very close to the lake but we walked anyways and loved the walk. The only complaint is the "room service" offered. I paid $90 which was almost doubled for food that came from a local pizzeria (Giuseppe's). It was nothing special. Other then that I'd stay again!

Stayed at the Best Western in Lake George during Feb break with three families all with kids. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The kids loved the indoor pool and the reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go back.

The staff was very nice, and included breakfast was great! However walls were paper thin, neighbos were loud and rude! Couldn't get a good night's sleep! Motel was beat up looking, and parking was a pain! Spend the extra $30 to stay at the holiday inn, or the Hampton inn!!!!

We travel to the area on a yearly basis. This was our first stay at this hotel. The staff was great but the rooms needs some updating and to be cleaned better. The location is excellent everything is within five to ten minutes drive that you need.

We stayed at the hotel and the front desk woman was really nice and went out of her way to make us happy. Everything was great, pook, internet, breakfast, etc. The people who work there are really nice. Enjoy!. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot, which was all I needed this trip. The hot tub was clean, and breakfast was suitable. My friend said some noise from a neighboring room carried over during the night, but I didn't hear it.

Stayed during a snowstorm. Amazing crew at Best Western Lake George. Bud and Christina were very welcoming, room was clean and cozy. Parking lot was maintained even with all the snow. Stopped by for a waffle and sausage with Janine before checkout, and chatted about the area and the upcoming Winter Carnival. Definately will recommend!

Staff is great. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly. I was disappointed as the cleanliness was not to my personal standards. There were scum marks in the tub, and on the vanity. The television remote was disgustingly dirty. The beds are dated and sinking in the centre

They are currently making updates but the staff was incredible, both in the evening and in the morning. The room was very large with a wonderful prayer and insightful book with every restaurant around. I'll add that there was a rotating shower head and the bathrooms are brand new. Nobody bugged me before checkout time & it was quiet. I would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed here by accident. Great escape lodge messed up and we needed a place to stay. The price was very cheap and yes the hotel is old but upkept well. The staff really made this place. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. I will definately stay here again but in the ultra suite. Thank you for everything and keep up the good work.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. You can get bottled water and popcorn to pop. There were a lot maps and pamphlets to help find something to do. The cleaning staff was very helpful and always smiling. Breakfast was a bit busy and one lady was rude to my husband when he asked her for help. We saw her every day for the 4 days that we stayed so I was a bit surprised.

I booked the Ultra Suite at the Lake George Best Western earlier this month for myself and several family members. It seemed large enough to accommodate everyone and provide adequate sleeping options. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made! The Hotel is located right off the Northway and is only minutes from the Village of Lake George. The suite was even nicer than the pictures. It was immaculate, the kitchen area was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal, the loft area was beautiful (it had a sitting area with a large-screen TV), and each bedroom had a TV. There were 2 bathrooms (one on each level), one with a jacuzzi. The suite was simply amazing. Housekeeping services were excellent, the indoor pool was great (and so was the hot tub!). Breakfast was very good and was attended by a really great staff. They were efficient, pleasant, and had a great knowledge of the Lake George area. Every staff member that we met was pleasant and helpful and each contributed to make this a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning!

I enjoyed this hotel. Up to date. Wifi was not too slow. Breakfast offered, small area I did not eat any food but several options were offered, I took juice to go. Clean. I would recommend this hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room and bed was clean and comfortable.

Three adults travelling came to Lake George and the Best Western to find suites available. Two bedrooms, living room and comfortable setting was welcomed. We had lots of space, swimming pool to go to and friendly staff at the counter. It was clean neat and marginally more than two single rooms. It worked out very well for the three off us. Lots of bedding towels etc. The morning hot breakfast was complete with eggs, sausage, waffles bread etc etc. Staff were excellent.

We stayed at this hotel with other Model A car owners . The service and accommodations were great. No complaints at all This is a wonderful place to stay and the location is close to all attractions. Would definitely stay again.

We were back in lake George for another last minute trip. We simply love this hotel. The price is fair and it's near the attractions not mixed in the heart of the village. It's quiet and rooms are very comfortable. I actually looked forward to the night of sleep after the travel. The front staff helped us out on a situation with our Jeep and helped locate a dealer nearby. Car was fixed and back to the hotel in less than two hours. Great place. Very comfortable rest. We are making it a tradition and hope to be up in October - November again

Very easy on/ off interstate. Room was good and excellent for the cost. First room was musty ( air conditioner filter needed changed) but they immediately changed our room and it was good. The bed was too soft but the pillows were great!

Nice clean room. Excellent and helpful staff. Outdoor pool was a little cold but indoor was a nice alternative. Breakfast was standard. Eggs, waffles, cereal, bread etc. Nice renovated bathrooms. A+ . Close to all you need to do around lake George area.

The location is pretty good, its right off the highway and a short walk (10 minutes) to downtown Lake George. You are also close by the Lake George Outlet stores and a ton of restaurants. The amenities are pretty good both indoor an outdoor pools

Awesome, convenient stay. Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly. Able to accommodate truck and boat in lot. Rooms were neat and clean. Hotel was located close to downtown area with plenty of amenities and only a 5 minute drive to public boat launch.

We booked on line and pictures looked great. Ratings were very good. Price was good. Room did not look like pictures. Bathroom was small, sink was outside the bathroom. Staff was not very professional. Had many problems that got resolved, but should not have happened. No water at check in, clock not working, key cards that stopped working 2 times. Noise from other people carried on until after 1:30 am outside building. Breakfast area was cramped and food was ok. Selection was acceptable, but nothing impressive. White bread for toast, typical make your own waffles.... not sure if I stay here again.

When our hotel didn't accommodate our reservations, we looked for another hotel last minute. We were already I Lake George on Monday July 16, 2018. We called the hotel and Bud Halibej told us to stop in and he would find us a room for later in the afternoon. when we arrived at the hotel, he had a beautiful room ready immediately. It was about 1 in the afternoon. Ben went above and beyond. He also gave us coupons for local attractions and directions to all local places. They even have a really nice breakfast at this hotel which we didn't even know about. This was an added plus. Indoor pool and outdoor pool. Really clean hotel. The staff was super! I would definitely stay here again! Ben deserves to be recognized. Very valuable employee!

The hotel smelled like pee... The rooms need to be cleaned better. The spa tub was dirty it had pubic hair in it like it wasn't cleaned after someone else used it. It was just gross, I would never stay there . They need to hire better cleaning people.... The frontdesk was nice!

I stay here once a year the night before my daughters visiting day. it's not a fancy place and it's not new. There isn't an elevator. But it has all that is important. Its impeccably maintained, its clean, its comfortable, a d the people are friendly. The location is great.

I bought a Groupon for this hotel, and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was very clean. Breakfast was crazy- go early or plan on eating in your room. Overall, I would definitely stay here if I am in the area again.

After a 3 1/2 hour drive from NJ, we're told we've been upgraded because it was the only room left. I felt like crying happy tears as we recently had a terrible vaca in FL. Good karma does exist. We had the pleasure of staying in Rm 188, a suite. It has everything! Fireplace, living room, kitchen (with cooking supplies/dishes/utensils...even pods for the dishwasher!) dining room, two bathrooms, even a washer/dryer!! The upstairs bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub and two bedrooms with a loft! It's peacefully quiet. If we weren't so close to the village, I would've easily been happy just staying at this hotel alone...especially by that clean, inviting outdoor pool. The staff is wonderful including the breakfast ladies...such sweethearts. They're on top of making sure the food is stocked and they make sure to wish everyone a great day before the guests leave the room. We will absolutely stay here again. Because of this hotel, we've decided to make this a family tradition and of course rent another suite. Thank you for such a lovely weekend getaway! We will be back :)

Loved the indoor pool my daughter's had a great time. We visited lake George and stayed here for 3 nights and I could not get my daughter's out of the pool the breakfast was good. The rooms were clean. My kids are 16 and 7.

The breakfast was okay, however the we felt like we are limited with the food. The coffee and tea could be better. The lobby was small and people who use the indoor pool pass through the lobby and creates wet surface which could be slippery. Parking was great and location was excellent.

We spent a couple of nights here while visiting Lake George. We were assigned a first floor room upon check-in that was very shabby and had a very musty odor. We requested a second floor room and were quickly accommodated. This room was much more acceptable. The front desk was very pleasant and gave us great recommendations for dinner. The free breakfast was decent and the attendant was very helpful and kept the area stocked and clean. The hotel is close enough to town and yet on a quiet hill away from noise and traffic. If you are just looking for basic lodging, this will work.

I spent one night in room 244 through a groupon deal. The room included two beds, a safe and a mini-fridge. It had a vaulted ceiling with knotty pine that made the room feel spacious. Although this is not a new hotel, it was obvious that the bathroom had been completely remodeled and the shower was fantastic. The room was clean. We arrived early and our room was not ready yet, and the person at the front desk gave us a card to place in our vehicle for free parking in the village at their sister property which saved us a $10 parking fee. We enjoyed the outdoor pool on a hot day. The breakfast was adequate with make your own waffles, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage and cereal. My only complaint was that there was only one staff member servicing the breakfast area which was very crowded. There needs to be 2 staff persons working the breakfast area. Also I suggest that they offer skim milk. The choices were whole milk which is 3% milk fat and 2% milk which are almost the same. Many adults would prefer skim milk as an option. All of the staff that we talked to at this hotel were very friendly. If you are looking for a hotel that has rooms with a view, this is not the one to pick. The hotel is right off the highway so ask for a room facing the back parking lot for less traffic noise. There are restaurants within walking distance of this hotel, as well as some cute miniature golf courses. The local trolley makes a stop at this hotel if you prefer not to drive in town.

Great place to stay, close to all that is going on. Hotel nice, clean, very friendly. Rooms are well done, we had two bed deluxe room, nice decor, indoor pool and oversized outdoor pool. Great WiFi and a small business center in lobby. Breakfast room very clean and stocked with lots of goodies hot and cold food. Front desk fantastic, Budd is a great help.

The hotel is out of the way so it is quiet. It means you do need to drive wherever you need to go. The rooms are nice and updated. They have both an outdoor and indoor pool. The rooms have a coffee maker and a fridge but no microwave. There is a microwave in the lobby. The staff in the breakfast area was extremely helpful. This is the first time I have seen "3" waffle makers available for breakfast.

A little more expensive than some others, but the that keeps out the drunk teenagers so you can actually sleep at night. The great breakfast and free downtown parking make up for a lot of the additional cost. Comfortable beds and very friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit in a couple months.

Absolutely no complaints. From check in to check out. I enjoy the location easy highway access & close to all activities, restaurants,shopping, antique shops. I would definitely stay here again. The morning breakfast was tasteful & plentiful. The pool & hot tub area was clean & convenient.

Clean room, indoor & outdoor pools, breakfast included, and the room rate was reasonable comparing with some other major hotel groups. It is about 25 minutes walk from the hotel to the main area, so might need a car if you have small kids.

Great staff, very good breakfast Only note there is no elevator. So if you have problems with stairs confirm a 1st floor room, We didn't but staff was great and moved us ,but could be a problem if they are fully booked

Great start to a hectic week of looking at colleges. We were there to visit Word of Life Bible College. Can't wait to come back during the season to enjoy the area without seeing it through an ice storm!

The maids are very friendly,and kind with us . My kids loved the inside of the pool. My room was 155 and was cozy and very comfortable. I totally recommend it to every one in CT.

Peace & Quiet - good sleep. Hotel under construction but this was not a problem. The shower was clean and warm. Bed was clean and comfortable. The location was ideal. Parking was convenient. Check in was smooth.

We used a Groupon deal and got a great price. The breakfast bar offers lots of options including gluten free. Staff was friendly and helpful. This location is easy to reach from the highway. The pool was updated last year.

Hotel rooms are outdated and dirty. Hallway carpeting is awful. My child ran across in socks to visit family down the hall and they were filthy black. The door to the room was obviously replaced with one that didn't fit. Breakfast was a joke. Food was horrible and they chased you for your ticket. They charge top dollar during peak season for a crappy, dirty room. My family would never stay there again.

We were there for the 2017/18 New's Year. It's well localized in the city. The ladys in the breakfast room were amazing. Always smiling... A good indoor pool for the kids to play, a spa and nice room. The 24h coffee machine was a plus!

Great hotel for the value decent amenities and convenient location...I checked in late on Friday, Feb 9 and was greeted by friendly staff...the room was clean and comfortable..price was reasonable...I recommend this hotel for travelers to the Lake George area.

In the coldest winter we had no choice but to leave the heating on all day and night but this was fine and not noisy enough to keep you awake. What was however was the vibrating fridge in the corner of the room. The rooms are dated, the TV channels and set up too. The breakfast is okay but stale pastries and weak, watery coffee were disappointing. Bud on reception was the winning touch. Nothing too much trouble and super friendly.

We spent one night here prior to spending the day at Gore skiing! The check-in experience was very quick, the room was clean. The breakfast was phenomenal. Jeanine was so nice. Bud at check-out was also really nice. We would definitely stay there again!

I've always liked Best Westerns, and this one was better than most. I found a two bedroom unit perfect for 3. The room was very nice, checkin was efficient and friendly and breakfast was fresh. I even got an email saying thanks for staying. Great hotel, at a price better than comparable lodging.

Even though the exterior wasn't as expected inside BW was awesome! Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great! Staff was super friendly and always willing to help. We had a great time at the indoor pool. I would definitely stay again!

The staff is friendly, attentive, and very professional. They offered great advice on where to eat, and what to see and do. The manager even called us while we were out to tell us about one of the local sites that just opened for the day. The breakfast was very good. The breakfast staff was very friendly. The place was spotless. The pool and hot tub were clean and perfect temperature. We will be back.

Excellent hotel close to "main drag" in Lake George. Very convenient and was impressed with exceptional staff. Weather was quite cold but we found many places to visit nonetheless. Would definitely go back for spring or summer visit.

Stayed with Family and grandkids. They went out of their way to make our stay the best they could. Let us check in very early so kids could use the pool before we had to leave until late that evening. Then opened it early so they could go in before we left that morning. Rooms were very comfortable, easy to adjust heat, and the breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles for hot foods. hottest coffee you will ever find, be careful, it is really hot! nice little lobby seating area with a gas, see through fireplace to the breakfast room that keeps the area comfortable. The staff were some of the best any place I have stayed throughout the years of travel. complimentary microwave popcorn and waters, 24/7 coffee, tea and hot chocolate, what more can you ask for at a great price. Plan to stay again at the end of the month for a nearby high school basketball tournament.

The hotel is located just off the expressway and easy to get to . It is a one storied Buliding and has a free parking in a large lot .There are 2 swimming pools including an indoor one . The breakfast in the hotel is a hot n cold combination with nice choices . You can smoke outdoors , if you want too . Lake George is a short drive away as also there is a Catholic Church 5 mins. away . They have free coffee, tea n hot chocolate in the lobby for you . There are sandwiches for sale too . The hotel gives free toliteries like razors, etc if you need them. The rooms are clean and good size , pretty quite . Friendly staff .

Checked in at 1:30am, easy friendly check in. Was able to park infront of my rooms window! Room was a decent size. There is a lack of outlets in the room. I couldn't plug in my laptop anywhere near the work desk. TV had A TON of channels, had to be near 100! WiFi was zippy. Bathroom was clean. Shower had good hot water, OK pressure, and the shower height was great for us tall folk! Bed was so/so. A little more support would of been nice, but I slept OK. Biggest issue was the heat. No matter what I set it at, it never stayed on for more than 60 seconds. Seems to be a complaint from several people. I didn't have the breakfast but did use the jacuzzi. Took a few minutes to get warm but it was nice! Check out was fairly easy even using 2 different gift cards. Hotel has this cabin type look to it on the outside, tucked infront of some woods and is a very quiet area. Some renovations were on going when I stayed. For the price, it was a solid stay, just need to get the situation with the heat fixed.

From check in to check out welcoming and friendly service. Breakfast was very good and nice variety. Would go again with the kids lots for them to do. Thank you Carole and Bud for everything. The rooms were clean and the pool was perfect for lounging.

On a cold automn rainy day, we arrived at Best Western Lake George and where gatered by the nicest person! Carole. Not only did she helped us for a taxi, glasses of wine for the suite, Carole made us feel so welcome. The room was impeccable and we enjoyed wine and fire place in one of the suite with an other couple of our friends. The restaurants are waking distance and the bed and bathrooms are SO clean! Fantastic! Thank you xxx

My husband and I enjoyed the hotel and had a wonderful experience. After a day of travel it was great to spend our relaxation in a quality hotel which we did here. The bed was comfy and the TV watching was good along with good wifi.

Could only stay in Lake George one night. This BW was well located and convenient. Facility is old in need of updating and renovation. "Construction in Progress" signs indicate maybe it is underway? Not in our room yet! Carpet was circa 1980s? and bathroom fixtures were at least that old. The upside was the totally friendly and helpful staff-- from front desk to breakfast staff to the handyman. We would stay here again... hopefully the updating will be complete!

I had the best experience at the BW in Lk George recently. We were on vacation and a hospitalization occurred. The BW staff made me feel like family. They were kind, thoughtful, and helpful, including helping me with me car and laundry. The hot tub and pool were clean and relaxing. The breakfast was always hardy and fresh. I really felt safe and cared for. Thank you all for your warm kindness.

The pool and hot tub were not as clean as I prefer and even after complaining to the front desk, the kids continued to jump in the pool that was only 4 ft. deep and were running. Not an enjoyable experience. Our breakfast sausage and eggs were cold and there is not spray for the waffle iron, so the waffles stuck to the waffle maker.

Best western lake George is a Very nice hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was average for a hotel nothing really special but it didn't completely suck either . There's free Wi-Fi which actually was really fast and worked great.

It was our 52 anniversary. We were given a two story suite with all the amenities. The staff even got us a bottle of champagne! The rooms were lovely, quiet and clean. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Loved the great breakfast with waffles. Also loved that they had food available for purchase at the front desk. Thank you for a great stay.

We chose this hotel through TripAdvisor and tried to get a room. There was not one available on the first floor as we requested. Carole at the front desk, called several hotels in the area to help us find a room. She was successful and we are very satisfied with her service.

Room was small but clean. Beds were too small. My husband and I are on the smaller size Definitely not queen beds as stated more like a large twin. I inquired about checking out and the hotel staff checked me out causing room service to come to the room to clean early.

Hotel was comfortable and had everything we needed...took advantage of the Continental breakfast which was very convenient.. Hotel offered an indoor pool and hot tub which looked inviting. Location was near the village of Lake George, hotel offered a free parking voucher at a hotel in the center of town but we were able to walk to a few close restaurants.

Very nice hotel. Great location. Very easy to get to attractions while at Lake George.Downside - pretty much of the town was closed for the season when we arrived. Were able to enjoy a 2 hour cruise on Lake George that was wonderful.

Location of this Best Western was great. Just off the Northway and close to sights. Staff were fantastic in helping to organize our stay and especially for making the many last minute changes we needed. Access to parking at a village location was wonderful and advice on restaurants a big help. Bud was a great help with all our needs.

Very good quality, price hotel, close to all kinds of shopping, outlets and more, employees very helpful. When I go back every year, it makes me feel good, almost like home. We even had pop corn and hot chocolate to look at movie. Don't get that everywhere....Thank you for a pleasant stay....

The Best Western of Lake George has offered quality accommodations for a good long while. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. However, the real strength of this Best Western facility is their staff. They are very attentive and responsive to the needs of their customers. Their friendly dispositions make everyone's stay so enjoyable. A sincere thank you to all.

Room was good except for some hair in the bathtub. I wiped it out. We had the pool and hot tub all to ourselves. Hotel is Quiet. Outdoor pool was closed for the season. Desk staff were pleasant and nice and helpful. 2 stories and no elevator.

We arrived at this hotel and checked in. Upon entering our room, the smell of urine was so strong that we returned to the front desk. We were assigned another room which they stated was newer and it was absolutely fine. I can't understand how a cleaning lady would have ever said that that room was suitable for occupancy. I guess as in any hotel you just have to speak up if you do not like the room. The management was apologetic and did handle the situation Ina professional manner.

We stayed here for a quick Fall getaway. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and in good repair. Standard continental breakfast. Breakfast staff was great! We enjoyed our stay. Would stay at this hotel again.

Hotel seems to be out dated and ran down. Description and pictures make the hotel look way better than it is. Pool area and breakfast area is much smaller than they appear. Was told we book a deluxe room but no sure what made it be a deluxe room. Seemed like just a normal room? Maybe it was because there was a separate stand that had a refrigerator in it? Back door to the hotel is just left unlocked. Don't feel like that makes it overly secure? Hotel is in need of updates. Customer service was great though. Everyone was very friendly.

I have never stayed at a Best Western so this may be an average hotel for this chain. Reviews were good and price was right so we gave it a try (Family of 4). Pictures of pools & breakfast area were very deceiving (though outside pool was closed due to time of year). All were much smaller than they appeared in website pics. Room was average, bathroom very small & bedding on cot had to be exchanged as the blanket was dirty. One of us could not control the water temp. in the shower - it went from cold to too hot. On a positive note, the staff was friendly. I would give low average rating and overall, would look elsewhere on next visit to Lake George.

Not a bad stay, attentive staff. Building is under renovation and it really needs it. Bed was ok for me too soft for my partner. Pillows we kinda over sized. Tons of fun stuff to do in the village. We hit the steam boat rides, fort museum, fire works, balloon festival & a trip to prospect MTN.

Lake George rolls up the sidewalks in early September so we had the place to ourselves. The restaurants are mostly closed but the weather and the whole area was beautiful. We got a great rate on Groupon and had a lovely time

The hotel was similar to other Best Westerns but the price was way high, however, it is in a resort area. There was no hot water the first day but it was fixed promptly and we were given two other options-use another room for a shower or move to a new room.

We always stay at this motel when in Lake George. The property is in the mountains offering lots of scenic drives.The staff are friendly and always cheerful. It is close to the Outlet Mall where there are lots of bargains. There are many good restaurants in the are as well. We always start our day with a great breakfast that offers lots of variety.

The floor is very dirty, our foot get black just few steps, ask the staff for towels and then take the old ones, while we was away she just drop it off didn't even clean the room or take the old ones.

We chose the Best Western because we had used this hotel before. It was spotless! The free breakfast was amazing. Being gluten free I typically don't have a lot of options but the staff made sure there were baked goods that I could have. We were always greeted in a pleasant manner. We were given lots of recommendations on local restaurants at the front desk they even printed out current menus so we could choose restaurants that would be safe for me.

This best western was easily accessible from highway. We arrived early but hotel gave us a room that was ready which was very nice. Breakfast was great. This is our go to place when we stay in Lake George.

It was nice; good location to downtown and surrounding attractions. Breakfast was a plus; the rooms could be updated but they were fine. The indoor and outdoor pools were very nice and not crowded; hot tub was a plus. I would recommend for the money and the basicness of the location; not over the top by any means.

checked in room 120 on Sep 1st and found bedbugs in one of the two beds. not a single one, a buntch of them, looks like a whole bedbug family. the front desk manager moved us to another room in the second floor which we didnt find bugs. now we are home and discarded our lugguge and streesed we were not bringing any of them back home. the manager created a report the next morning and we do not know yet how the reimbuese process is going to work yet(the discarded lugguage, the bill for the pestcontrol to handle non-washable belongs etc.)

Great place for our family vacation. Plenty of room for six of us in the deluxe suite. Not close enough to walk to town, but reciprocal parking arrangement with a hotel in town took the hassle/expense out of downtown parking- a very nice perk. Friendly, helpful staff.

I stayed at Best Western Lake George for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Great place for family's. Breakfast was good, everybody was friendly and helpful. Definitely going back on our next holiday.

We stayed 8/25 through 8/28. The carpet in the rooms were stained and the beds were uncomfortable. The free breakfast offers no value since the families get up early and stay at the tables for over an hour eating and drinking coffee. We had to get the coffee and breakfast items and walk out to eat them lobby waiting area. Expand the breakfast room to accommodate your guests The bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. It's not fair to all of your guests when families take up the entire indoor pool area and no one else can get in. This was an every day experience. Not sure the people at the indoor pool were guests and no one from the office checks -- there are no locks on the indoor pool doors so anyone can just walk in and use the facilities.

Teh updated rooms were great. We enjoyed the smaller indoor pool a lot. Shared free parking with Fort William Henry which was a great added bonus. Only bad thing was the room where they provide breakfast is too small for the number of quests they have so we ended up having to bring it back to oru room.

Great value for the money. The staff was very friendly indeed. The breakfast provided (which was complementary) was surprisingly good. When I hear complementary breakfast I think maybe some coffee, danish and muffins. They had all that along with some amazing scrambled eggs, sausage, Belgian waffles and all the trimmings.

Booked this hotel very last minute. They were very accommodating. A little older but still clean and updated. Pools indoor and outside. 5 minutes from the main village. Location is perfect. They were very accommodating as we were traveling with a trailer. Highly recommend!

Front desk are nice and helpful rooms were clean and spacious Continental breafast was good priced right the only thing I did not like is they keep asking you for your room numbers when you are trying to enjoy your breakfast and amount of guest. I found that odd.

We really appreciated what the staff had to offer in assistance. They were all very friendly and we noticed how several of the staff were constantly cleaning the breakfast area which was stocked to our satisfaction. The outside and inside pools and Jacuzzi were kept well too. We had a conveniently located room which was near the entrance/exit. Our room was listed as a double size with two double beds. The beds were ok but the room was not double - just average at best. The bathroom was terribly small. There was hardly room to enter and exit without putting one foot between the toilet and the tub. There was no place to put clothing if you wanted to change or put some on after a shower/bath. The vanity was not in the bathroom but in the bedroom area. It made it difficult whereas you needed to come out of the bathroom (without clothing) and complete your duties! My wife and I chose this Lake George area to celebrate our weeklong touring 50th anniversary and we chose Best Western Hotel (internet) because that is where we try to always book our stays. Several days before we stayed at another one and it was great but we will never stay at this one again! It basically ruined our "Anniversary Night!"

Sink is outside the bathroom which barely fits the tub and toilet.. low water pressure in shower. We had two adjoining rooms, one had an odd musty odor. The hotel is in a good location, right off I87, and a nice breakfast setup. We had been to this hotel before and the newer part of hotel has much larger bathrooms, so ask for that if you book here.

Amazing location! Great town with many family activities! Awesome restaurants and shops around! The hotel is not so great! There's only one bathroom by the indoor pool that all stuff is using as main bathroom as well. The included breakfast is great in theory but the small space is not enough and the line gets so long that may not worth the wait to make a waffel...

The bathroom shower had hair in it, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, the shower had no pressure and water was warm, the room did not get cleaned when we hung the sign on the door, we had to go down for towels and make our own beds, we also dumped our own trash bags! The hotel is outdated and not worth the price we paid! Would stay somewhere else on our next visit... Also when my husband complained Saturday evening he was just told oh sorry! I will send someone up with towels! Really! For almost $600 dollars for 2 nights I should have had a clean room and freshly made everyday! Very disappointing!

This Best western was excellent from staff to accommodations We were up for Girls softball., The team needed to be @ the fields by 7am ,which was 20 min away. The staff came in early ,so, the girls were able to eat by 6:30 am ,The did this on there own once the found out what time we needed to be there. above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you again .Also, they are part of the Fort William Henry hotel . they will give you a pass for free parking in town.

The hotel is very close to the Highway, breakfast was fantastic, very close to a shopping center in Laval and the price was acceptable. The staff was great and the room clean and comfortable.This hotel location is great for travelers on a leisure trip.

I stayed here with my daughter and some friends over the July 4th holiday and highly recommend this hotel. Check in was a breeze and the staff could not have been nicer. It was raining when we arrived and the clerk at the front desk loaned me an umbrella without me even asking. There is an indoor and outdoor pool so the rain didn't stop the girls from having fun. Breakfast in the morning was a little crowded but we always managed to find a table and there were plenty of choices. The room was quiet and the beds were super comfy. The hotel is minutes from everything and was definitely a great choice for us.

Great for family fun. Enjoyed the spacious luxury sweet that accommodated two couples and a baby. A little out dated but clean. Spent a lot of our time out of the room enjoying Lake George. Bed wasn't as good as ours but still slept well. Breakfast was good and the pools were super fun and clean. All staff was well mannered and helpful

I just got home today and had to express my excellent views of this establishment. Upon checking in Michael and Carol were nothing but friendly, hospitable, informative and a great 1st impression of this hotel. All other hotel personnel, from the breakfast staff-( Oh yea, I forgot FREE BREAKFAST!!!), to the maids, to the pool technician, etc. amazing positive attitudes and friendliness. Complimentary popcorn and water available at front desk, maintenance at your door before you get there from the front desk and more. Clean rooms complete with cable TV and mini fridge. Indoor pool with Jacuzzi and outdoor pool. Centrally located between Lake George and Queensbury and only minutes away from 6 Flags and the outlets.\\I would come back here in a heartbeat and highly recommend this location to others!!

would like to go back nice place closer to the main board walk clean room small cafeteria but good food for the breakfast having a silent air conditioner would help to sleep should have signs saying not to run in the hotel

shower was the worst i ever used, bottom two drawers on bureau did not open, was told by staff that they don't open. asked for a different room and was told none of the bottom drawers in the whole hotel don't open. WHY. was told she didn't know why. makes know sense

Best Western has done a decent job of upgrading their motels, but the Lake George outpost needs work, and soon. Our room was grimly appointed and smelled like an old-school convalescent home. On a high demand weekend they allowed their rates to go far above the caliber of service delivered.

We (2 single moms) were looking for a short road trip to take with out daughters. We looked on Groupon and used it for the Best Western. The price was okay- it changed with the dates we chose but not by much. The rooms were decent, nothing special. The morning breakfast was the same. I mean...I didnt expect it to be the Hilton Garden or anything. The babies spent alot of time at the indoor pool due to the rain so that was one amenity we were thankful for. There was also complimentary coffee and popcorn which we utilized as well for us and the babies. Overall for the price, i'd stay there again. Less than 5mins from then lake. Really more like 2/3mins.

One of the nicest places that we have stayed at in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced and free breakfast was great. Like the fact that there was indoor and out door pools, since we can never count on the weather.

Stay at Lake george best Western was very nice. Clean rooms, nice pools, great breakfast, extremely helpful and friendly staff, close to everything you want to do. Only down fall is the cost a little over $200.00 for one night is abit crazy.

I came to this location to celebrate a friends birthday. The rooms were clean and cozy. The beds were lovely. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast definitely did the trick! Unfortunately, wasn't able to enjoy the jacuzzi or the pool, but only because it was a short stay.

I was here for 4 nights for my daughter's dance competition. This hotel is clean enough. The rooms are small and somewhat on the dark and dingy side. The bathrooms are super tiny. The sink is outside the toilet/shower and is so small that barely a bar of soap and some toothbrushes would fit on it. The shower head in room 119 spins, with no clear way to stop it. The lobby bathrooms are in the indoor pool, so it's slippery if you just need to use it quick. Also, the outside doors are always open, so anyone can get into the hallways. I guess that is why there were triple locks on the guestroom doors. The hotel staff are super friendly-from the front desk, breakfast ladies, and housekeeping. It is far from town-it's walk-able, but would take about 20 min. or so. Overall, this hotel suited my needs. It was clean and offered a decent hot breakfast. It had both an indoor and outdoor pool which was a bonus for my daughters.

It was a very good place to spend for your vacation. The personnel was very friendly. Rooms were very clean. The pool area was clean and maintained daily. Breakfast was fresh and had many choices. I recommend this place.

I thought this was a decent hotel, but not worth $160.00 to $180.00 per night. Room was dark, small and kind of stuffy. Bathrooms are extremely small. I'm a relatively small person, but still had a tough time getting in and out of the bathroom. Water control was a little difficult. It was to hot and was hard to get the right temperature. I had to keep adjusting both hot and cold faucets in order to get the right temp. Took longer than usual.

We had a week long stay at the Best Western, Lake George, and I have met the most beautiful helpful staff at the facility from front desk to housekeeping, I did not come across a single soul during my stay who did not greet us or offered help, happy staff keeps the place pretty happy. Lake George is of course beautiful and my stay at Best Western made it one of the best vacations I have had with my family. The facility itself does not have five star amenities, however, their service, attitude, upkeep is all five stars in my opinion. The facility is well kept, and really clean, including the indoor and outdoor pools, I had everything I needed within reach. The hotel has a complimentary snacks station, which includes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, popcorn and more. It was very easy to get to and everything food and activities were in close vicinity for us. I had a great family time and will be returning here for years to come. Great place to stay especially if you are visiting with family and kids. Family Friendly and economical Extremely helpful staff close to all Good food choices 2 hr cruise and Look out Cafe is highly recommended

Stayed in one of the suites, poured all day one day of our stay, ceiling leaked all over our table. Management did the right thing by deducting money from our bill. Found a wasp and other "bug" in our room, I guess not much you can do when your hotel is near a lake. All in all ok stay, not a fan of Lake George so probably won't return anyway, but if I did, I would stay elsewhere.

In reference to scamming your rewards points, instead of taking your rewards cash card money off the hotel room quoted price, they first add all hotel state sales tax, occupancy tax, room tax, and safe charge plus that sales tax.So whatever amount that you earned with Best Western Rewards is eaten up in double taxing. When confronting manager with this concern, all he could say is "we have to pay taxes too". Besides this problem, there is also a definite mildew or mold odor throughout the hallways.When asked check in agent about it, reply was "yeah, what's that smell. I found that this was reported many times before, Stay away from this property. I should have listened to earlier posts.THERE ARE MANY MANY NICER PROPERTY'S all over the Lake George area. Also found that people do smoke in rooms and are not stopped, only charged afterward. That does not stop the offensive odors during your stay.. Expect a rebuttal from Mr. Luciano, but there is really no excuse. NOT WORTHY OF THE BEST WESTERN BRAND,

My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. The location was very good, the staff was very helpful , the breakfast very good. Of all the possible hotels to pick in Lake George I am glad we picked this one. The front desk staff recommended Log Jam for dinner and it was an excellent suggestion. The front desk ladies, the breakfast staff and housekeeping all deserve praise.

The staff was exceptional...very helpful with things to do..food..comfort...you can park at the sister hotel near the lake..makes it easy to get around for activities, food, fun..lots for kids to do also!

Even though we were there during Americade, there was never any intrusive noise levels. The location was a great central location for our day trips to Saratoga National Military Park, Fort Ticonderoga and Warrensburg and we could return to the Lake George area for good dinner options.

Nice and quiet. Close to the lake. Very nice staff. Lady in the cafeteria was really nice. Gave my son warm oatmeal for breakfast. Hotel is pretty clean. The coffee maker was dirty though. Good bang for the buck. Worth it. Can't go wrong if you are going to Lake George.

Nice hotel, great staff, very clean and neat, and the breakfast is outstanding. The only complaint is that my mattress was worn out, and the bed slumped to one side but that may have been just my room.

Lived nearby for many years, returned to the area on business. I was pleasantly surprised as I have stayed at this property in the past and the owners have made significant upgrades making it a really nice place to stay with good amenities whether staying in Lake George or passing through. The public areas have been nicely upgraded with a new breakfast area (free complimentary hot breakfast--waffles/eggs, fruit, continental style plus grab & go options) and an area to grab a refreshment in the lobby. The room was comfortable with a small refrigerator and fresh pillows (it is nice when a hotel changes out the pillows to fresh as they do flatten out). I stayed for almost a week and the staff was pleasant and friendly, housekeeping was well taken care of and overall I had a good stay. Owners were sprucing up the exterior by sealing the driveway, getting the pool ready for summer and landscaping. Highly recommend this motel!

Accommodating staff, great amenities, free breakfast, easy check in and check out. The staff made us feel like we were family and not guests. Our comfort level was so great the last two years that we've already booked next year!

My wife and I had an enjoyable two night stay at the Lake George, NY Best Western Hotel. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast included waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage links and hot oatmeal among the many breakfast items. There was new carpeting in the hallways and the common areas were clean and nicely painted. The exterior areas were clean. I highly recommend this hotel. With the Groupon discount, it was a particularly good value.

Really helpful staff for the morning buffet breakfast over Memorial Day weekend. The BW staff was so nice and patient! They deserve a lot of praise given the volume of guests in the morning. Location is right off of the highway (I-87) which is super convenient and it is convenient to drive to the major state parks for hiking. More importantly, it is a couple of miles south of the tourist trap downtown Lake George. It was very convenient to Glens Falls, which is nearby and has a great little downtown with really good, non-chain restaurants at a reasonable price.

The hotel is very well equipped and has the most helpful staff you can imagine. They also have the best oatmeal :) . We visited on a rush weekend (Memorial Day) and they arranged everything including parking near the lake !! They have free coffee, decaf - the bed is high quality and you can get great deals online. We needed a few print outs and they arranged for that too !! 5 stars !! Oh .. they also have different country flags in the parking lot :) Do not forget to take a tour of the lake on one of the cruises - does not need to be a dinner cruise !! Would recommend the Horicon - the captain gave us a lot of information with plenty of wit!

This hotel is perfectly adequate for a stopover for one or a few nights. Its located right off the highway, and 5 mins drive to Lake George. Parking was adequate for the hotel, which is not too large (2 floors). The staff was friendly and the 24x7 desk helps if you are driving there late. Check in was very prompt. The lady offered us complimentary water which we had forgotten to stock up for the night, so that was a nice experience. The rooms were adequately sized for 2 double beds. The bathroom was a little cramped for space, with the sink in the bedroom instead. But the beds were comfortable and we managed to get a good night's sleep. Breakfast is standard fare for 3 star hotels (scrambled eggs, sausage links, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, muffins, bread, jam & juice). The eggs and sausages were average and a little lukewarm, but nothing really to complain about.

Excellent service, the staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The property is clean, has overall good appearance. There are clean indoor and outdoor pools which is a plus. Highly recommend this best Western.

The employees were so kind and thoughtful. They made everything so easy, and made us feel completely welcomed. We will definitely come back but we would like to see a few new things added to the breakfast such as hard boiled eggs.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Clean rooms. East to get to off thruway and close to all attractions. Check in was quick and amenities were great. Continental Breakfast was above average and indoor pool was good for bad weather. Only stayed for one night, but would return if visiting area again.

We stayed at this motel last year and received royal treatment for our 50th wedding anniversary.I felt almost obligated to come back. When I rec'd an email about discounted spring prices, I decided to take a mini-vacation. The manager is extremely nice to my wife and I.

I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. The price is reasonable and includes breakfast. Close to shopping malls and outlets and points of interest such as the Great Escape amusement park, Fort William Henry museum and many more areas of interest that families can enjoy.

We own in the area and have to come up to Lake George each year to find out what's going on with our condo. Can always depend on The Best Western to stay for the evening. We do not even consider another hotel for our trip. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very comfortable and convenient for quick Adirondack trip. Room was pleasant and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was a needed plus although it could have been a little better it really did make a difference for an early checkout.

My whole experience was not good but the worst part was that they charged my credit card extra money days after I left without authorization. Basically stole from me. Be careful and watch your card after staying at this hotel. I recommend staying elsewhere.

we traveled to Lake George to do some X-mas shopping, and stayed the night here, the place was great. the room was clean, the pool was nice and so was the hot tub. The central location was great as well. as we were close to the outlets and to downtown.

The room was decent staff was friendly hotel over all was clean.The indoor pool and hot tub could use some updates the pool is very small.They do have a nice breakfast area lots to eat.Hot waffles eggs and sausage.24 hr coffee and hot Co Co and free popcorn and 8 Oz water complimentary.They could use an elevator for the second floor.They also could use nicer shower head.over all was a good stay.

Nice hotel but overpriced, the room needs new furniture but was clean. Breakfast was very good and it has a nice indoor pool with a hot tub. The employees are very nice and always willing to help with any of your needs.

This is a good hotel situated slightly out of town, the hotel was under reno work whilst we were there but this caused no disturbance or upset. The minimal staff (it was November!!) were all very friendly and helpful and the morning buffet expansive, despite few guests. Lovely indoor pool area and extra towels available for bathers. I'd definitely return and use this hotel again, good value for the rate. The hotel distance from the town is walkable for an energetic couple but not ideally placed for the elderly or infirm. The front of the hotel is reached via a very steep driveway, fine by car but by foot power, not so easy.

What a fantastic hotel. Right off Exit 21 in Lake George. Friendly staff, very clean, good sized rooms. Breakfast included in room rate includes waffles, pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt etc, etc, etc. Lovely pool with hot tub. You just can't go wrong with this place.

We had a wonderful time in Lake George. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The food at breakfast was great. We used the Wi Fi and it worked great we had no problems.

The room was clean. Staff was friendly. Check in and out very efficient. Breakfast has scrambled eggs, sausages, oatmeal, danish, muffins, banana, apples, oranges, cereal, waffles, coffee/tea/juice. We used a Groupon for the room, and the value was fantastic! It's close to the main strip of Lake George. We didn't use the in/outdoor pool or hottub. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The only 1 comment I have is that maybe we were the first customer to turn the heat on for the season, and there was kind of a smell when we turned it on. I would recommend this hotel for the value and location!

My daughters and I came for a little overnight get-away. The hotel suited our needs very well. It was clean. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. My only suggestion would be to find out what time is the least busy for breakfast. The room is not large enough to handle a huge bunch of people at one time. Many people took their food back to their room. All in all we had a great stay and I would recommend this hotel.

We frequently stay at Best Western hotels, but this was one was unlike the others. It was dirty and the staff were not very knowledgeable. I heard there is a newer side to the property and I would suggest staying there if you can. The older side needs major renovations. We first went into the room and the drapes had so much dust on them that you could see it from the moment you walked into the room. The mattresses were old and dirty and I was honestly scared to sleep there. The one positive about the place was that it was pretty close to all of the attractions, but I wouldn't stay here again. We even left one night early.

We stay in Best Westerns when we travel, this one was below our standards. The rooms had extremely outdated furniture, bathroom door has Mr. #### was here carved in it and is splintered on the inside. The tube grout has been repainted and I'm pretty sure the curtains are from the mid-eighties. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Room was clean and nice. Mattress need to replace as the firmness was lost. in our room.Breakfast and other were excellent. There is no Gym facility at this hotel. Swimming pool ie nice. The location is very close to the lake and restaurant as well as other attraction like Mount Prospect. There was no microwave in the room in spite of Best Western standard.

We were only in town for the night for a wedding. We looked around online and at some other hotel options upon arriving in Lake George before walking into the lobby of this Best Western. The price was similar to other mid-range hotel options in town but it was the customer service that influenced our decision. In a time when customer service is either over the top and canned or completely non-existent, Bud offered kindness and warmth in an unaffected way. This makes a difference. He worked with us to find a nice room that fit what we were looking for and our budget. He went out of his way to listen to what we were looking for and responded appropriately as opposed to just giving whatever was available. We loved the room he gave us. It was clean, large, and homey. Above all, Bud was personable, courteous and professional. I often travel for work and am always on the lookout for a reasonably priced place that is comfortable and relaxing. The experience we had with Bud at the Best Western in Lake George inspired me to sign up for their rewards program and I will be staying in a Best Western every time I travel for work now; no exaggeration. Thanks Bud for the great experience.

This is our third stay at the Best Western Lake George. The hotel and Rooms are very nice, decent rate per night. The staff is very friendly and professional. It is in a good location only a few minutes away by car from the town of Lake George,

I stayed here this past weekend and used a Groupon. The front desk staff are friendly and the check-in process was swift. The rooms are a little outdated (bathroom could be cleaner, kleenex wasn't stocked), but overall it was a decent night's sleep. Didn't wake up for breakfast so I can't comment on that but I'll say that the beds are comfortable. The only downside are the thin walls. I could hear our neighbor's kids entire conversation. It was annoying but thankfully it wasn't all night. Had it not been for the Groupon, I would not have stayed here. I almost always stay at Hiltons. For the price, can't complain much.

The room was nice and the bed was great. But we stayed at this hotel to have the indoor pool and could not even get into as it was so COLD! When I told the front desk they said oh yes it is heated and told him to go feel the water it was NOT! What a big waste of time to pay the extra few dollars to have the pool and couldn't even use it.

Staff is unbelievably friendly, knowledgeable of area and go out of their way to make sure your stay is a good one. The managers are great, especially Bud Halibej, who makes sure you are happy. The main building rooms could use upgrading (we stayed in the luxury suites), but staff makes up for it. I re-booked while there.

We were disappointed in our stay at this Best Western location. While the staff was extremely friendly and courteous, the building and rooms are in need of upgrading. Our room had a musty odor and the decor was outdated. Our room was located near a door leading outside. However, this door was not locked (nor does it have a room key pad on it) while we were there (even at night) so anyone could come and go as they please. The halls were noisy at times and during those times the walls seemed very thin:/ The location of this hotel was extremely convenient.

We stayed here two nights in July, it was very busy. The staff were pleasant and the room, while dated, was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but good. This hotel is not far from local points of interest and was easy in and out once you are aware of the really sharp turn onto the property.

We found the Best Western of Lake George through a groupon deal. What a great find! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool. They offer quite the selection at breakfast; including make-your-own Belgian waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. I never did catch the name of the woman at the front desk but she was very knowledgable about the area & offered some great recommendations for restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

I get that you pay more for a place in peak season, and I realize that Labor Day weekend is a VERY busy time, but I was still mildly disappointed in this place. First, the good: The outdoor pool is terrific, and the staff worked pretty hard to keep things as good as possible. My issues: I experienced the funkiest shower I've ever seen; a rotating head that, if coupled with good water pressure, might've been a fun experience, but here was just weird. There was a decent breakfast buffet that wasn't early big enough to handle the # of people staying there, and I ended up having breakfast out. The indoor pool was alarmingly small, though it did have a hot tub which the missus said was very nice. Smoke from outside did occasionally come through the vents (having those smoke eating devices right by the rooms is likely not a great idea). The place looked very much like ....., well, what it is - an older hotel in need of renovations. It wasn't a bad place; just not up to previous BW's I've stayed at.

Best Westerns are always hit or miss -- this was a hit! Outside looks skeptical, but the rooms were just fine and clean. Had a nice pool at the hotel as well & close location to tourist attractions. Free breakfast in the morning was better than most -- included Belgium waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereal etc. Pleasantly surprised with this place, did the job - would stay again.

Wow! This was a great stay for the price. Accessible to everything. Excellent and Clean room. Comfy bed. Breakfast sausages were classic. Customer service ROCKS! My stay was horribly interrupted on our last night because this non-smoking hotel allowed refused to address a major issue we were having with the people next to our room smoking marijuana. We called the front desk and shared that we were inundated with the smell of smoke etc. and was told that they "can't knock on the door" or address the perpetrators, and they would "see what they can do". So let me just say this, if you don't really have a "no smoking" policy or you really don't hold fast to it, take the damn sign down and DONT tell people that you're a "non-smoking" hotel. I would respect the establishment more if they said "we have a no tolerance smoking policy, but we can't police everybody". Then the customers can make a concerted decision to choose to stay here or not. So our three night wonderful stay came to halt and was completely ruined by the response from the front desk on the last nigh by not addressing an issue that was disturbing to us. Humph!!

The hotel was so nice. The outdoor pool is pretty. The staff was so helpful. The hotel was right off the highway. Everything was so close, a water park was down the road.The mini golf and souvenir shop was on the corner. The souvenir shop had such nice things. Mama Riso's restaurant has delicious food. I went on the Minnie ha ha steamboat it was relaxing and informative. The streets near the lake are lined with restaurants and arcades for kids. There are trolleys for a dollar from the hotel that goes around to the lake.The Fort William museum is cool. It is a great place for families! There is fun for kids! The lake is beautiful!

Best Western of Lake George was a great hotel on every level. Close to everything in Lake George. Wonderful Staff! Breakfast was amazing and comes with your room! Clean, Kid Friendly, Great for couples!

Great Hotel, easy on off of exit with plenty of parking, a short ride into the village. A trolley is available.I would stay there again. Rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast was hot with a choice of eggs or waffles or both!

This hotel is not a hotel that I would recommend or come back to. The hallways have a terrible smell. The beds are very uncomfortable and they sink. Also our door was broken so anyone could get into our room. The walls are paper thin. The bathroom had hairs everywhere and was not clean. DONT COME TO THIS HOTEL!!!

Picked this place because it came up on bookings.com. The accommodations were more than adequate, and the staff could not have been better. Not having been to Lake George before, this was a quick drive to downtown. It was quiet at night and although right off the thruway, its location was away from all traffic. Great free breakfast every morning. If you are just looking for a clean bed and bathroom at night, this is a great option for couples and families.

Check in was simple and fast. Staff was friendly, the room and bedding were very clean, and the outdoor pool was fabulous (not very big, but big enough that our 3 teenage boys enjoyed it). Although hotel is small compared to big-chain hotels, the decor and service is up there in comparison - I give it an overall 4 stars! Everything was within half-mile of the hotel; the lake, Lake George Village, restaurants, etc.

I actually visited in August 2015 but September was the only option left. My family and I went to visit Lake George for a family vacation (as we usually do every year). We went into Lake George to go to do Fort William Henry for my younger brother and we were going to walk along the strip and then go to Saratoga for the races to see The American Pharaoh. So we booked to stay here. At "Best" Western of Lake George. Once we entered, we went to the front desk. My younger brother was 7 and he was extremely excited. He saw the fruit basket which one employee told him he could have an apple. When he went to get one, the lady at the front desk yelled at him for touching. He broke into hysterics and my father and I told the lady that he was only 7. I was really trying to keep my cool. My father was loosing it when we got into the room. When we walked in, it was dark and shady. I walked into the bathroom and there was mold in the shower and there was a used band-aid (with blood on it) on the toilet seat! I screamed and decided to get away from the hotel. On our way out, a different lady was at the desk. When we told her what happened she made a thorough cleaning of the room. When we came back, we were so tired. So we decided to just jump into pajamas because the shower still looked dirty. So we went to sleep. ,When we woke up was when I felt like I died. There were ants crawling on us!!! I screamed and threw the cover off and woke my whole family. Thank God that was the last time. Room service found a hole in the wall with an ant hole in it. We immediately left and went to another hotel. Don't. Stay. Here.

Good trip, clean hotel and very helpful employees. Very good complimentary breakfast. The hotel staff were helpful and the breakfast room workers were so helpful. We asked at the desk about good places to eat and we were told, Mama Riso's which was close by and it was a wonderful place to eat.

Very good place to stay, we needed early check-in and the staff did all they could to help. Very convenient being just off interstate 87 and just a short distance from Lake George. The breakfast was very good also.

Loved my stay at this Lake George hotel. Nicely off the main drag so easy to get to without getting caught in traffic but close enough to get downtown. Great staff, rooms, beds and parking. I found this hotel when stopping for the night on a road trip and would go back if I was in that area. Super value for the price!

Stayed here one night .... great pool area both inside and out .. good room 121 .shower did not work. the carpets need to be changed and the hallways scrubbed down... Staff is great ...Hope this hotel keeps up to date because its a great motel with a great location.... and beautiful grounds

The hotel was over booked , there were bus loads of kids that were rude and had no manners ... Rooms were great , breakfast was ok - the staff couldn't keep up with the kids eating everything in sight...

we where up graded to huge suite two floors, fire place, kitchen, and laundry. Very clean. Big plus was being able to park at the fort when going to the village. breakfast area clean and tidy . Pools indoor and out nice

Quiet, easy access location. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Great breakfast, nice pool. By staying here you also get free access to Fort W. Henry hotel pools and parking downtown. This was our second year at this hotel, and plan to come back next year. We have recommended several friends too.

We stayed at the Best Western Lake George this weekend for a family gathering. Overall the hotel was conveniently located and had a good breakfast. It was average in every other respect. The carpets were filthy and sticky. Rooms were musty and dated. Service was inefficient. We asked for two extra beds but the cots were never brought to the room. There are some other hotels in Lake George and I would give those a try before booking here. Special mention for the breakfast servers. They were very efficient and did an excellent job, quite unlike the other staff at the front desk.

Attended a wedding in lake George and so stayed here for 2 nights. Was comfortable. Breakfast selection could have been more and tastier. The bed was comfortable and the staff were very polite and friendly. The hot tub was very nice. Overall was a good stay

Love this hotel because it's so convenient to Lake George and the outlets. Stayed here twice with a groupon and was very happy with the cleanliness. There is free breakfast but the room is small and can get crowded. Love that coffee and tea are available 24 hours. Outdoor pool is awesome, indoor is small. Lots of parking too. Discount coupons for area attractions available in lobby for convenience. Would definitely go back!!

This hotel needs a lot of upgrading. We only stayed one night thankfully. The bathroom sink is outside of the bathroom which I didn't like. The bathroom itself was very small. The toliet is practically up against the shower. The shower head was coming out of the wall and the floor in front of one of the beds squeaked horribly. The room was very dusty also. Will NOT stay there again!

This Best Western is on the road before the main road in Lake Geoge...With that you will need your car to sight see and to go fo dinner. But on the good side if your not a late owl, your more app to get some sleep unless you get some loud neighbors in the room next to youThe best Western is pretty nice and well run. always bring a couple extra towels from home.all the hotels seem to be struggling in the tourist areas in keeping up with a couple extra towels when needed. But all in all it's worth the price,just remember you,ll need extra cash for cab fare if you go to the many really cool clubs and bars they have ! Have fun!

We spent one night as a rest stop between Canada and downstate. The mattresses were HORRIBLE. The matress springs were so destroyed that we thought the largess would swallow us whole like a Venus fly trap. Our neighbors had a litter of screaming children and they blasted the tv until 3 am. I did however, complain and front desk called our neihbors and the volume was turned down. The crowd that come here in July are not exactly what I'm used to seeing in September. Lots of younger families with tons of kids they cannot manage. Not the hotels fault except they need to keep up with room maintenance and buy NEW MATRESSES.

This is a well located hotel right outside the main drag of the lake just off the highway. It clean and comfortable. The people are friendly. The WiFi is fast and the breakfast is good. It's not a fancy resort, but it was perfect for my family.

Our room was a very nice room with 2 double beds. It was a corner room so we found it to be more spacious than the normal standard room which was nice. We were there for a softball tournament and needed to leave before 7:00 am breakfast so the hotel had bfast open for us at 6:00. They had both indoor/outdoor pools which the kids loved and it was within close walking distance of mini-golf, arcade, and gift shop. The staff was great - friendly, always with a smile and willing to help. The only complaint - and not really a complaint - was the actual breakfast - while it was good, and great that they opened early for us the hot breakfast was the same everyday and the A/C in the room was the older model A/C and it was coming on and off all night.

We stayed 1 night while taking our daughter to camp. The room was comfortable-small, but clean. 2 double beds, tiny bathroom, sink and desk. We did notice the musty smell that some have written about. The front desk staff was super nice. They gave great recommendations for how to get to the lake, where to park and best places to eat and grab a drink. Our daughter tried both pools and hot tub and liked them all. Breakfast was included and a great perk. Eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, English muffins and more. Coffee and hot chocolate available 24/7 in the lobby. We are headed back for camp pick up and will be staying again.

The hotel staff is wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, breakfast options are good. Close by to the Village, Outlet Malls and Great Escape. Would recommend to my family and friends to stay here.

I stayed at this motel I really struggled with this decision. The place is in a decent location I had a standard double room these are two full sized beds. The beds were comfortable, there is a breakfast included which was okay it's Good for the kids. Okay the indoor pool is very small and was full of children. The room needs new carpet there was a very musty smell I sprayed Lysol that didn't work. The sink was outside the bathroom which was very small a NYC apartment sized bathroom. This motel only two floors seems to be a favorite for families on a budget. If you do stay here have them put you on the second floor I forgot and kids were running above my head all hours of the day and night. It's not horribly bad just good for one night maybe two.

We stayed two nights at this Best Western in Lake George. The front desk staff was great! Always greeting and always helpful. My room door had to be force shut in order to close and lock it. It was hung a little crooked. The outdoor pool is very nice, and even has a section that is 9 feet deep. The indoor pool is very small, and had a naked Indian baby swimming in the pool when we tried to go in. No thanks. I didn't go in. Convenient location just behind Goofy Golf.

Stayed here on a getaway with my husband for a few days. Grounds are well kept, though driveway could use some patching, and exterior was charming. We were able to do an early check in, which was convenient. Noticed no elevator, so anyone with any inability to walk stairs, be sure to ask for 1st floor room. Room was very clean, but definitely needs a bit of tlc and updating. Breakfast was typical continental, but was just enough to hit the spot first thing in the morning. The staff was overall very friendly and knowledge - I think only one person out of the 10+ we had conversations with was off-putting, so I consider that a win. Overall, was a good place to stay and we would consider staying there again if we visit in the future.

The good: friendly staff, nice variety in complimentary breakfast buffet including scrambled eggs,sausages,Belgian waffles,juice,coffee,cereal,fruit,etc. Also has trolley service for transportation, and reasonably priced rooms. The bad: No sink in the minuscule bathroom. The sink was right next to the door, and was clogged the entire time. Also had loose,very squeaky floorboards under carpet. The ugly: the indoor pool had very murky water with debris floating on top.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with plenty of offerings. The outdoor pool was closed due to weather but so was the indoor ??? The indoor pool deck needs work. Our room, 160 had a definite musty smell. It was clean and up to date; just smelled musty. Definitely a family hotel.

Drove up for a family wedding. Stayed 3 nights. Room 241 - A/C worked well. Room spacious with vaulted ceiling of light colored pine which made it seem even bigger. TV, good-sized fridge that worked well, tiny coffee maker with coffee and tea provided.Also coffee and tea in lobby at all times. Big closet, immaculate ironing board and new iron provided (grateful for iron since we were attending a wedding) Full size mirror on closet door -thank you! We had 2 queen beds. Bedding clean and extra in closet. The mattress by the window (which we slept on) was very soft in the middle so both of us kept rolling into the middle. The second night I layered bath towels on the middle of the mattress to fill in the soft gap. The room has a sink in the room which we didn't mind and a toilet and bath tub inside the bathroom. I loved that there was a tub to soak in and of course a shower option. Most hotels now are eliminating tubs to my disappointment. Bathroom very clean. Pretty acqua color. The room was quiet but the hotel wasn't very full . We had a short circuit somewhere because when shutting the night table drawer or walking on a certain place in the rug the sink lights blinked as did the night table lights. The hotel mechanic came up and tightened the socket but the problem came back. Needs more troubleshooting. The indoor pool as well as the outdoor pool were very cute and clean -well-maintained- as was the entire property. Restroom right next to indoor pool. Be aware this hotel has no elevator - I forgot to ask when booking- and we had a bit of luggage to drag upstairs. The breakfast room is bright, airy, cheerful as is the entire breakfast staff, maintenance staff and reception staff as well as the front desk manager. A pleasure. For the price the breakfast is plentiful and varied - good quality. Appreciate the fresh fruit, waffles, several juices and yoghurts but especially the lovely oatmeal and raisin option. The staff was kind, caring, courteous and sincere . The town was a 2 minute drive from the hotel. I feel we got very good value for the money and a very enjoyable stay.

The rooms are not soundproof. You can hear everything that is happening in the next room. It is as if the occupants of the next room was in the same room. I had to call the front desk to ask them to go and talk to our neighbour. The breakfast is disgusting . No healthy options. The hotel is away from all the attractions.

The accommodations were very nice with clean comfortable rooms. The rate is reasonable for a busy resort town. The dining room was large with comfortable seating and the breakfast was quite good. Very nice outside sitting area with nice table and cairs. It's a nice break from the very touristy area of the resort.

Rooms were comfortable but not very Close to town and activities rooms were clean and the staff were great. Pools both inside and out were clean We were there for the wine fest. Was not very good small samples not enough to taste

We stayed at the Best Western for one night. It was during the Fireman's Convention and the place was full. The staff at the front desk - Randy and Isabel - were very helpful and friendly. Randy helped us find a restaurant which was greatly appreciated. Despite the rather carnival atmosphere with all the fire trucks and families we had a quiet, peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast was also very good.

My family and I stopped in for an overnight stay during our travels; the property is very clean and nice. Check in was a breeze, and they were very nice and pleasant! There are two pools on property, one indoor (with a hot tub) and an outdoor. There were plenty of children and families using the outdoor pool this weekend. The lobby also had a breakfast room where a nice continental and hot breakfast was served. (We had eggs, sausage and fresh made waffles, along with toast and yogurt) We stayed in a room on the second floor, with two double beds - the room and beds were nice, clean and modern - with a very nice TV and a clean bathroom. The ceilings on the second floor are very charming; they're "Catherdral" ceilings, with exposed wood beams and wood ceiling. Very charming, honestly. We slept very well, and enjoyed our time here. It was very affordable and a safe, nice property.

The staff is very friendly. The front desk is very helpful with information regarding the area. The hotel is clean. The pool area is clean The breakfast is great option. It is just the right variety so there is something for everyone. Very nice to relax in the hot tub after a day of sightseeing.

A great place for a one to three night stay. Not sure it's value is worth more than 3 nights. Over all a great location, had a hose to wash my bike with towels to dry it off, and the food was wonderful. We had a king size bed in our room and don't forget there are extra pillows in the closet. Breakfast was wonderful and the fact that there is so much to chose form it surely adds to the value vs eating out each morning. I was hoping to use the pool but we did not have the time as we were enjoying the area so much.

This was an ideal location to stay for the 2016 Americaide Motorcycle Rally. Clean and comfortable and Motorcycle friendly. I would stay here the next time I come up for the Americaide Rally. Located right off exit 21, it was very convenient and easy to get to and from all aspects of Americaide.

We have stayed at this hotel before and consistently receive great service from the entire staff! The front desk staff accommodated our specific needs. The breakfast is good and the staff is friendly.

Hotel was clean. Stayed here for the weekend for Americade Rally. Complimentary breakfast was included which was a good deal. Indoor pool / jacuzzi came in handy because it rained for a few hours one of the days. The room was clean and comfy. Had a refrigerator, coffee pot, iron, hair dryer, AC & TV... thats all we needed for a good weekend stay. It's an average hotel, nothing fancy. Also has an outdoor pool.

Good Location to visit Lake George Village and outlets. Double beds are not convenient to sleep with toddler. Breakfast was good but could have had more varieties. Less options for vegetarians. Lobby areas and carpets definitely need upgrade. Good parking space.

We only stayed one night at the Best Western, but it was a great experience overall. We arrived to Lake George hours earlier than expected, and Bud Halibej, the front desk manager, checked us in without any issue. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel has an outdoor and an indoor pool, and although we didn't get a chance to enjoy either one, we noticed guests were having a great time at both. The breakfast with waffle bar was a nice bonus, and the waitresses working were extremely nice and accommodating. Bud H went above to make this a great stay for us at the Best Western. When he found out my boyfriend is a police officer and veteran, Bud shook his hand, thanked him, and even provided us tickets to a complimentary cruise on Lake George. In conclusion, we would definitely stay at the Best Western on our next visit to Lake George.

The staff was so friendly and willing to help. We had our toddler with us, who loved the pool. And the breakfast lady was so nice, very courteous and willing to help us with a child for making pancakes or waffles. Will stay again.

We stayed just one night but had a good rest and a nice breakfast the next morning. The hot tub and pool inside were a nice retreat after a long drive. Our room was clean and quite comfortable. The king size bed provided a good night's rest. The air conditioning was comfortable not overpowering. The bath room was very clean. Overall it was a pleasant stay with no complaints.

I felt pampered during my stay, the staff was welcoming, anticipated my needs and made my stay as comfortable and care free as possible. The saw I had trouble walking and moved me to a room closer to the lobby and breasfast area to make it easier for me. Beds were comfortable, pillows devine ! Already planning to return next year during our Elvis week in Lake George!!

Room was clean, well maintained, and airy. Maids (Chrissie and Sara) were helpful and courteous to us. Front desk personnel were pleasant and well informed. They asked our every question clearly and cheerfully. Breakfast area clean and well-maintained. Staff in breakfast area very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent.

Very nice, clean hotel with a great rate compared to the other hotels in the area. Location is right off the exit which makes it very convenient, and only a mile from downtown. The staff was very friendly and check in & check out.

I would like to thank Bud for his assistance on everything that we needed. He is the key to the success of our stay at your hotel. We had a great one day stay but everything is close by good location. Place is clean although dated in some ways.

Our room was clean and cozy and our king bed was extremely comfy. But the very best part of our 5 day stay was the staff. Our first trip to the Adirondacks and we had no clue where to stay as a home base. We literally blindly picked the town and the hotel sight unseen and hoped for the best. We really picked a winner. Again, it all came down to the staff. They were fantastic. Beyond friendly and helpful, the hospitality just made it feel like home away from home. From laughing at my husbands terrible jokes to teaching us so much about the region. We just have to go back and visit our new friends there again.

This hotel was extremely accommodating. I had obtained a flat tire and the staff went way above and beyond to find a portable air tank and filled my tire so I could drive to a garage to have tire repaired. Friendly staff from the Front Desk all the way to Maintenance. Great Location. Great price. Would definitely come back and would also recommend to others.

Bed was soft and comfy with lots of pillows. Location is quiet and restful. Breakfast was great. The staff is friendly, helpful and well trained. The pool and the hot tub. Not as clean as I'd like. pool water was not crystal and foam kept appearing in the hot tub. Once we saw something floating in the hot tub foam out we went and took showers. Too bad because otherwise it was a nice place.

Booked hotel through Groupon and got a good price. Bed was comfortable, towels were new and unit was clean. Although there was a small refrigerator the double bedded room lacked a microwave. You had to go to the lounge area to use the public microwave. Avoid room 151. Too close to the office/ front area therefore VERY noisy. Too many people tend to carry on conversations outside of my door instead of in their rooms. I had to call the front desk in order to get some quiet. I should have asked for another room but didn't feel like packing up and moving to another room after a long drive. Great location.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times. Our son plays hockey, so we have been to many. This hotel always has the friendliest staff and best value for your buck. It is also not overly done and ritzy, but homey and comfortable so you get the comfort of home without the stress. Never have had 1 issue.

For the most part the hotel is clean just outdated. The staff was very courteous. They are understaffed. There was only one older person who had to clean the entire floor by herself. We went out at 9:30 am and came back and our room was still not cleaned at 1:00. At this point we felt sorrow for the lady and just asked for clean towels. Also, there is no elevator and it is not wheelchair accessible.
