    « Nice, quiet location »

Stayed here for a few days last September. Quiet location, with a great coffee shop next door, highly recommended. Front desk staff was remarkably accommodating. Plenty of free parking, and a nice continental breakfast was inclyded.

« Very comfortable and very accessible from the freeway »

We stayed here on two separate nights during the week - as we were traveling in the area. The first time was on a Friday night and the next time was on a Monday. We enjoyed being there both times. On Friday we intended to do laundry. It was so convenient to have a washer and dryer on location. They were easily accessible - close to the breakfast area. We were on the first floor on Friday night and on the second floor on Monday. Both locations were just fine. The road in front of the hotel is located far enough away that there is no street noise at all. Everything about this hotel was comfortable. The beds, the bedding and the amenities in the bathroom. They take good care of the rooms and the public areas. One note about breakfast - there is not an abundance of every food item. So if you want a lot of choices, you may want to go there early. We would gladly stay here again if we were in the area.

« Trip to Buffalo area »

Everything was great about this place except for the beds. They were so hard. It was like sleeping on a marble slab. I actually had to see my chiropractor when I got home from this trip. Glad it was for only one night.

« Looks great on surface but... »

Stayed here because it was relatively close to New Era Stadium for Bills football. Outside and lobby look very nice. Room was king-size with whirlpool and faced the back of the property. Breakfast was a step up from usual boiled egg. However, I got little to no sleep because I could hear someone else's TV until 3:30 in the morning plus the plumbing is really loud - could hear other people running a bath or taking a shower. The bathroom fan comes on automatically with the bathroom light and is also really loud. I woke my husband up a couple of times. The people above us were also loud - must be little to no insulation in walls and floors. The bed wasn't too bad in terms of comfort but the pillows were horrible - basically bags of foam chips - like when you wash a cheap pillow. Some guy was doing recycling and garbage below our room at 3:30 in the morning as well. The carpets in the hallways need to be cleaned. We put meat and salad in the fridge but both froze overnight. With some attention to detail this would be a much better hotel. Also consider putting in lamps and/or outlets with USB slot. Did not think we got value for the money - over $200.

    « Spitting pancakes! »

This was a typical Best Western. Small indoor pool, basic amenities. There was a conference hall too. The morning breakfast was nice. They even had French toast sticks. The pancakes were made automatically by machine. If you press a button, it will spit out a pancake in about 45 seconds. The kids loved it. Not much else to say about this hotel. It was a very quick one night visit. Staff was friendly.

    « Good clean property »

Nice clean hotel. Had a great shopping trip and a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Lobby area was kept nice and clean and the staff were very pleasant. The manager was having a very difficult time with the computer system when we checked in so it took an extra couple of minutes. It was still a much faster check in than I've experienced at other hotels. I even received an email apology from the manager upon my return home (which was totally unnecessary). That just shows how much they care about their customers.

    « Good points & bad points »

With the exception of a piece of broccoli on the wall, the room was fine. Internet service was fast & the bed was comfortable. The vanity in the bathroom is a bit high (I'm short so it was high to me). The breakfast could use improvement. We called ahead and was told what they have. However, there wasn't much. I suppose the items rotate. There was one omelet and it was a bit overdone. The bacon was greasier than usual and way overdone. All I got was one blueberry muffin. My husband got bacon and the last omelet and we had to take it back to our room because there are very few places to sit. Would I stay here again if in the area? Yes. I would eat breakfast elsewhere though.

« Review of my trip to Buffalo and stay at Best Western »

Excellent service was provided as mentioned above and checked off on the survey. I don't think that it will be necessary to add any more additional information. Make sure you award Bob for his excellent service.

« Great location, nice staff but the rooms need cleaning »

Great location, nice staff but the rooms have gone down hill over the past few years. With all the new hotels popping up in the area, I don't want to leave but I will. The carpets needs cleaning. The bathrooms updated.

    5
    « Friendly Staff »

Comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly Staff. We stopped at this location because of a trip we were taking. We only stayed one night. The staff was very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. It was a good location from RTE 90 Several types of restaurants nearby. you do need a car.

« Not bad but not great either. »

We have not had much luck with the Best Western chain in the past but decided to give this location a try after not staying at a Best Western in over 5 years. It was okay, nothing here wowed us. The hotel was clean but only as clean as it had to be. Not really detailed clean. The beds are firm (not what we like but some people like a firm bed). The room A/C seemed to keep the good sized room at a nice temperature. The breakfast was okay but the hot items were only lukewarm and not hot. It also offered cereal, waffles, one flavor of yogurt, breads, mini muffins, cereal, juice and coffee. The pool looked to be okay but we didn't get to swim because it was closed while we stayed here. Which was disappointing. I am not sure why it was closed, a handwritten sign on the door said "out of order"?!?! Our room keys kept not working and needed to be reactivated. The bathroom was a decent size, the shower had a waterpike massaging shower head but ours would not change settings, it was stuck on the normal setting. I would stay here again but only if I couldn't get a decent price elsewhere.

    « served us all »

even though we had lots of complication, different arrivals et al, we were well served, even with a pro football game nearby that night... great breakfast, elegant room, bed a little too high off the ground for us shorter people... this is a fine outpost for downtown buffalo visitors, about a 10 minute drive except during rush hour, but it is quite a ways to Niagara falls, advertisements to the contrary... nice breakfast well serveed

    « Buffalo wedding »

This hotel was very nice. It was located a few blocks from the wedding which was very helpful I felt the bed was hard. otherwise it was a nice place to stay. Breakfast was ok but eggs were rubbery tasting, sausage was eatible but not great, waffles were wonderful.

    3
« Room was nice but....... »

Our room was clean. The bed was very hard but had lots of pillows. If your on the short side you might not like the bathroom. The sink is high and set a little back. I was surprised at how high the side of the tub was. The fan came on with the bathroom light and it was loud so talking was almost impossible. The heat/ac worked great. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. The eggs were so overcooked they were crumbly. The sausage was just weird. I didn't even bother after after the first day. The pool was ok but could use some cleaning. The water was clean but the sides of the pool aren't. I could scratch the dirt off with my fingernail. And with no clock in the pool room there was no way of knowing when it closed. They need to work on getting rid of the spiderwebs from outside. Not a bad hotel but I expect more from Best Western. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

    4
« Basic hotel at a good price »

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. The hotel is what you expect and parking is convenient right in front. The hotel is in a nondescript area but is quiet. Free breakfast is the typical processed food variety.

    4
« Nice price and clean »

Look in Trip Advisor as I usually do and found this hotel. I used my AARP discount and got the room for $118. The rooms are clean and the indoor pool is also nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They sent us to Rodneys for dinner. Very good food.

    « Heavenly »

After a long day of walking around Niagara Falls I decided I was too tired to endure a four hour drive back to Binghamton. Thankfully this hotel had one room left and it was a king bed. The bed felt great on my weary body after a much needed shower. The room was clean, the tv was fine, the free breakfast was decent.

    « Not the best »

This hotel was semi new but beat up, noisy and the staff was incredibly grumpy especially the person running the from desk in the day. Not in a safe area either stay away from this hotel. Close to Ralph Wilson Stadium was the reason I was there. Beds are hard, tv was ok and no real places to eat close by.

    3
    « Nice, but noisy »

We stayed here one night. The room had an overall good standard, and had a helpful folder with restaurant menus, etc. A taxi ride into town was about $20. The only complaint I had, was the lack of soundproofing between the rooms and the hall. I awoke early in the night, because a person in the neighbouring room was speaking loudly on the phone. In all fairness, I'm a light sleeper, but I could actually hear a lot of what was being said. A few minutes later, I could also here what a couple was talking about in the hall.

    2
    « Very bad experience »

I stayed for one night at this hotel. In the morning during the breakfast, I noticed there's meat pieces in the egg. I asked the lady at the front disk if there's meat in the eggs? is there any vegetarian option? she replied in a very rude way, THAT'S WESTERN BREAKFAST, IT HAS HAM. I though she will apologize for not having a vegetarian option, or offer some other choices (since they make new food every few minutes). She ruined my day. I travel a lot and never had a similar experience like this before. Don't know how they don't realize that a lot of people are on restricted diet. I will never go to any best western hotel again. I'm planning for several summer trips and a week long stay for a conference and I'm avoiding all best western hotels.

« Good value for money »

We stopped here before embarking on the 219 South. The hotel was good value for money and was clean and provided good sleep quality. Breakfast was average. The nearest restaurant were a bit off but still within driving distance. A good budget alternative.

    5
    « Girls' road trip »

My friend and I embarked on a 3 week road trip from West to East and back. We really didn't have plans and pretty much winged it. This was a great place to stay. Nice staff. We have stayed most of our nights at Best Western Hotels with the exception of 2 nights where there were no availability. On any of my road trips, I try my best to secure with Best Western. They have good staff, great value. If you are lucky, you'll hit one of them that has a salted swimming pool. That was great, just floating away.

    « BEST WESTERN, LACKAWANNA »

Best Western Lackawanna is awesome. The Staff is great!. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay near South Buffalo. The location is minutes from downtown and is a short ride to the south towns,

    4
« Good Hotel, Nothing Special... »

There is nothing nearby. Breakfast timings are odd. From 6:30 to 9:30, many hotels have the timings 6 to 10 while at this place it's bit inconvenient. Nice and Big Rooms. Good Beds and Breakfast. Staff is nice. They claim swimming is heated but it's not. Also there is no Hot Tub. I wish they had Hot Tub at least. Rooms are nice and big but has many Maintenance issues. Working amenities of rooms needs many maintenance boost. Also they should do Deep Cleaning of Lobby and Rooms once every few months to keep it clean of dirt and cobweb.

    5
« Decent find just outside of town »

Our group found this place for the NHL Draft due to the price, the proximity of the location to where we needed to be, and because it was a Best Western. While it could be hard to find at first, the location is near a couple of gas stations and close enough to downtown that you can get there in 10 minutes or less and not have to pay the downtown prices. Rooms were comfy and bathrooms were very large. Staff was friendly and helpful through and through.

    5
« Great stay and breakfast »

Although there are no stores or restaurants closeby, there's easy access to hwy to get to those things. Hotel was very nice, room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was better than any other free breakfast I've had at a hotel - lots of selection, including hot food. Staff and guests were all very friendly. Felt safe there. One negative thing in our room was the easy chair, upholstery was very dirty/stained, we did not sit in it. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

    3
« Trying to be positive! »

The room we stayed in was clean with an updated bathroom. The common areas of the hotel, however, could use a good scrubbing. As another reviewer stated, there is little in the way of sound proofing. We could clearly hear groups of children running up and down the hallway. The front desk receptionist was polite and helpful with directions. The area in which the hotel is located leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel is literally plopped in the middle of abandoned steel mills. And, wait for it..., the hotel shares a driveway with an adult bookstore... I completely understand it is beyond the hotel's control, but ugh. So, to sum it up, the room itself was clean, front desk person was nice, and bathroom was updated. And, and...that is all I've got. Probably will seek more appealing options for our next trip.

    « A great find ! »

Took my mother (age 88) on a little get-away trip and stayed here for the first time. What a great find ! The hotel was quiet and very accommodating to my mother's needs. Staff gave us a room on the main level. She enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. We were not too familiar with the area but the staff were very helpful in assisting us with our questions. Will stay again.

    4
« Not Close to anything »

Beds were confortable, rooms seemed clean. Breakfast could be alittle more. There is nothing around here, but if you want Italian food the best is Mulberries. Not far either, I recommend reservations.

    5
    « Enjoyed the stay »

Hotel right off highway in residential type area but no noise from vehicles. Up to date hotel with excellent staff who go out of there way to insure visit is enjoyable. Was offered express check out that I needed and not all hotels do this. Will stay there again when we travel thru NY.

« Nice Hotel, would return »

If your travel takes you in this direction, this was a great bargain and a nice hotel. Rooms were nice. Pretty new hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast was sufficient and exactly as expected for the price. Thank you!

« i would go back ,nice place! »

nice place pool is small but perfecit for my boys .not to deep 4'11". They had alot of fun in ther pool. being bigginers on swimming the pool was great for them . room was nice too, big ans spacey. peanty room to put your things.

« EASY TO FIND AND GREAT VALUE »

I stayed here because it was close to where I was going and close to other attractions that I was in town for. It was also not far from the airport and easy to get to. The rooms are large (mine was anyways) and over all it was quiet. The bed in my room was a little hard but ask for a few extra pillows and you will be fine. Breakfast was hot and they make a lot of food. They do remove the juice from the machine which was a bummer at night when you just want a bit of OJ. The people were friendly and answered any questions I had.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

For someone who travels alot and mostly stays at 4 - 5 star hotels. I would rank this right up there. Everything was clean. modern and comfortable. I would recommend this to any person staying in the area. You will be impressed. I was and that' s not something I take lightly. Great Stay!!

    2
    « Very Disappointing »

I specifically picked this hotel because of the amenities it had to offer. Apparently, a water pipe burst from the swimming pool effecting the fitness room, which happened a week prior to my stay. The swimming pool was still closed, but the fitness room had just reopened the day before my stay. These so-called machines were so outdated I thought the elliptical wasn't even safe to use and I had to get the key off the front attendant for the treadmill to turn on! I will never stay at this hotel or a Best Western again.

    4
    « Valentine »

Very nice hotel but pool very cold. Stay was for a Valentines get away. Trying to get out of the cold and enjoy a little swimming and relaxing by the pool. Pool room was nice and warm but water was too cold to swim in.

    4
« Clean. Nice staff. Quiet. »

Despite being next the railway, our room was quiet. No activity on the rails. Multiple breakfast choices. The omelets were a bit tough around the edges but still tasty and appreciated because i eat low carb. I would recommend it. And its only a couple miles from the Botanical Gardens. ( note. That muffin is for my mother ) ;)

    4
« Very nice place, not for swimming though. »

Came here for a 2 night trip just to go somewhere for my fiancée's birthday. Spent a lot of time at the nearby mall (about an 6 minute drive) and restaurants. Hotel itself was VERY nice. Lovely lobby, rooms very spacious. Lots of channels on the TV. The free breakfast was perfectly good, and there was free juice and coffee available 24 hours. On the down side, we picked this hotel partly because it had a heated indoor pool. When we tried to go swimming the first night, it was freezing. The lady at the desk apologized and said that they had recently had to top it up, so it would take a little bit to warm up. The next morning, still cold, and that afternoon, and the morning we left. Very disappointing. The front desk lady was kind and polite. A small disappointment though was that I had requested a room off the main floor, and even though (through casual conversation) I was told the hotel was almost empty, we were still put on the main floor.

« Good hotel for the bar exam »

Stayed here for the July 2014 bar exam. TripAdvisor won't let me go back that far! Much cheaper than the downtown hotels and was 10 mins drive to the convention centre. Included WiFi and breakfast made it a good value. I got there 2 days before the exam and use the time to get used to the place and study. It was very quiet even though there were a lot of other test takers there. I pretty much stayed in my room the whole time and had my parents bring my food to me. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it a was perfect no frills hotel for my purposes.

    5
« Smokers need to be moved »

My experience at the Lackawanna Best Western is always pleasant. Rooms are very clean and well decorated. Beds are comfy. The only downside is the smokers congregating at the front entrance. I've stayed here several times and I always have to dodge the cigarette stench from multiple people hanging out front. The smoke drifts into the lobby as well. Otherwise, this hotel is quite comfortable.

« Lovely Hotel & Room, Very Friendly Staff »

We used this hotel for a one night stop on a driving holiday from New York to Toronto. We choose it mainly for the free parking, it is a brilliant hotel, we had a large spacious room with a queen size very comfy bed, a fresh continental breakfast with plenty of choice, the staff are very friendly, free wifi in room with good connection. we cannot comment on location but it was easy to find and park, we didn't use this hotel to explore the local area, just as a stop off to continue our journey. Excellent value for money and I would recommend and use again. Only negative was the lighting in the room wasn't very bright overall but there was plenty of lamps to do work at desks

    5
    « Nice stay »

Our stay here was very nice. The rooms were large and very clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great. The staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived late and we were treated great. We would definitely stay again.

« Great Stay in Lackawanna!! »

Great Hotel,I stay there every time in Buffalo for Bills Game or Sabres Games.Close to both venues.Short drive or cab ride. friendly staff nice property.Tim Hortons next door.Ive stayed there at least 10 times since they openened.never had a bad stay!!

    5
    « Friendly and Fast »

Bob at the front desk was friendly and great at check out. The room was clean and appropriate temperature for volatile Buffalo weather. Wish I could have had a cup of coffee to go when I checked out, but other than that the staff, hotel and room were great!

    4
    « Vacation »

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a cook of nights when we came to see the Penn Dixie paleontological educational center and Niagara Falls. It was a clean room with a comfortable bed. The room also had a jacuzzi bath which was a very nice perk. Though it was off the beaten path it was not so far you would not go. The breakfast left something to be desired but we were not there for the food. The staff was courteous. Basically I would stay there again.

    4
« Good Hotel great value »

Very clean convenient location decent breakfast would definitely stay again if in Buffalo area. I came in for a Bills game and found it perfect for attending an event at the RALPH. EASY ACCESS TO hIGHWAY AND RESTAURANTS

    5
    « Satisfied »

Fine experience. Close to Buffalo, 6 miles from center city. Good access to main highway. Very near Lake Erie. Buffalo is fixing up their waterfront nicely, Free parking. Eateries are 10min away on main streets. Breakfast in hotel was adequate.

    4
« Good Value for the price »

We needed two rooms for two nights for a family function weekend. The hotel was clean and convenient to downtown. I had read reviews saying it was in a sketchy neighborhood but while it may not be in a posh neighborhood, I didn't feel it was unsafe. The breakfast was adequate but I made a few suggestions as to how it could be improved in a post stay survey as I have had better at other Best Westerns. I would stay again if the need arose.

    « it was ok ! »

it was an ok motel , check in went ok , room had toilet defect , a hole in the wall behind the door , but it was clean .. the next morning at breakfast my bagel had mold on it , threw it away and took something else .. the employee at the morning continental breakfast were great , asking us if we wanted them to wait the change the garbage bags that was a nice gesture..
