    « Quality stay! »

We stayed here for 2 nights for a hiking trip in Zion and I was more than pleasantly surprised. Normally on active trips we are only in the room to sleep and shower, so I am not very picky as long as it is clean with no weird smells. This motel offered a lot for its price- compelling me to write a review since I rely so heavily on other guest reviews before booking a room. LOCATION: About a 25 min. Drive to Zion. This motel was cheaper than the ones in Springdale and I didn't mind the drive. There are restaurants in Hurricane worth trying- Stagecoach Grille had great home cooked food! ROOMS: Modern rooms that are refurbished with updated decor and amenities. Our double queen bed room was large and my husband and I never felt cramped. BREAKFAST: (Normally I don't care for free continental breakfast since it can be lame, but I need to explain...) Breakfast was plentiful. Again at chain motels I usually expect the basic packaged pastries, waffle maker, and cereal, but the breakfast spread here was varied! In addition to the aforementioned basic items there was an oatmeal bar, several different varieties of waffles, breads, bagels with different spreads. They even had Greek yogurt and fresh fruit. Many guests enjoyed the eggs, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits. I personally thought the eggs looked funny, but at least there were many options. Overall, I appreciated the variety of breakfast food available even if the quality on a few items was so-so. For an all day hike at Zion, Best Western gave us the fuel we needed. Bonus-we even took an apple and bagel to store in our backpacks for the trails. OTHER: I did take advantage of the outdoor hot tub- it was a nice touch. After hiking the entire day it was a nice treat in the evening. The staff was helpful and nice. Hopefully this review helps. I will stay here again on my next trip to Zion!!

« Great Room and Hotel »

Hotel was excellent and close to Zions National park. We will be using them again in the future! The pools and facilities were clean. Location was good and is located between I15 and the park. Great breakfast

    « great stay »

Newer hotel, very friendly staff. We arrived a bit early, we were offered fresh baked cookies and coffee. We only had to wait short 10 minutes. The room was spacious and very clean, the beds were comfortable and there was a choice of about six pillows. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean room friendly staff . We enjoyed our stay so much we will definitely stay her again.excellent breakfast we recommend to everyone to stay here . Very expensive hotels in Zion park . Very happy with our stay excellent breakfast so many choice we enjoyed

« Average experience for a newer hotel »

I'm not convinced that this property deserves to get the Plus status in the Best Western chain. The room is very small with very little room to move around. There is barely space between the walls and the bed or between the beds themselves. There is a chair with foot rest that is so close to the wall and the bed that there is only a couple of inches between bed and wall. Seems to be very over-priced for the market area. Beds are very hard - like sleeping on the floor.

« Our stay at LaVerkin, Utah »

Went in during the off season (middle of November) and got the room for a wonderful discount. It was clean, comfortable and very nice overall. The only problem we encountered at all was a few minute delay in the water in the bathroom becoming warm. Once it did, it was great! I would definitely stay there again, even without the discount. Very nice accommodations and the breakfast was terrific!

    « hotel near Zion »

This is a good Best Western. It's an easy 15-20 minutedrive to Zion NP but still very convenient to the highway. It's clean, comfortable, with good size rooms. A decent breakfast was served. It was very busy during our end of October stay, so the rates were probably higher than usual.

    4
« New, clean hotel, good location »

Springdale was all booked up, so we stayed in La Verkin for our trip to Zion NP. This was a well run hotel, still decently near Zion but more moderately priced. Clean, well run. Only issue was that the pool heater was out, so it was quite frigid--maybe 70 deg F in Oct. Decent breakfast included.

    4
« Not far from Zion »

The hotel was clean. Looked pretty new. Typical free breakfast. This hotel had the worst pillows we had on our three week trip. Bed just ok. Probably would not stay here again because of the bed. For such a nice place, I think this hotel needs to up date their bed and bedding like other Best Western Plus hotels.. Location good for restaurants and about 20 minute drive to Zion National Park.

    « cramped quarteres »

Our room was VERY small, Ttwo queen beds crammed in a room with a chair! smaller than most single rooms. should be a single room, not a dbl. No bell hop service, Oatmeal so thick couldn't stir it!!!!!

    « Typical Best Western - nice! »

I am becoming a fan of Best Western. This hotel is just another typical example of a Best Western: very nice and clean rooms, decent hot breakfast, no hassle. They also status match to other hotel rewards programs and it is great having Diamond status because they give you a bag of goodies at check-in! Would definitely stay again.

    3
    « No maid service »

Stayed at hotel for two nights. There was no maid service performed in between the nights. No explanation from hotel management on this problem. Desk clerk was going to contact the manager and did not hear anything from them.

    4
« Good hotel but in the middle of nowhere »

I like the hotel, new and clean, but not even a fast food chain in town. I bought my supper in supermarket. The good news is the supermarket is very big and price is cheap. It is 20 miles away from Zion entrance.

    5
    « Spotless »

Best Western in La Verkin was a spectacular experience for my family, hospitality was top notch and breakfast was a great edition. I recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It is a 20-25 min ride to Springdale, probably one of the most beautiful drives in the area. You are close enough where it isn't a hassle to go to Zion, but far enough away to pay normal hotel prices.

    « Fantastic stay »

Stayed here while visiting Zion NP. We were very pleased with this hotel. The rate was great, and the room was fabulous two room suite with a whirlpool tub which was a special treat after a day of hiking. The breakfast was more than I have seen at other hotels for a long time, so much it took two rooms to handle all they had to offer. The staff was very conscientious to keeping the breakfast area well stocked and clean. Our room was modern and spotless. We couldn't have wanted anything better for what we paid. I highly recommend BW Zion West.

« Great place to stay! »

Spent 1 night and enjoyed the friendly staff and clean rooms, comfortable beds, the room was decorated nicely enjoyed a great breakfast with all the fixings! I would stay here again without hesitation !

    5
« Great location. Beautiful views. Close to Zion National Park and St. George »

We stayed for 4 nights. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice room. Overall great place to stay and enjoy southern Utah. The room with the jacuzzi tub was spacious. The cleaning crew always had our room in great shape. Very comfortable bed. I highly recommend this hotel!

    5
« Very good middle of the way hotel »

The staff is more than forthcoming in everything that has to do with our stay and where to go (some local tips). the room is clean and large, bath is nice. internet is good. the breakfast is very varied and offer two types of food (waffles and buffet breakfast).

    5
« Best hotel for Zion Park tour »

This hotel is very orderly and clean, great wi-fi, great breakfast, great plumming and excellent service. The perfect place to stay if planning to visit Zion National Park as we did. This hotel does not disappoint.

    5
« A Newer Addition to the BW chain. »

Spent the night before visiting Zion National Park at this nearly new Best Western and was really impressed. Clean and comfortable with the complimentary free hot breakfast BW is knowing for, this spot is located near La Verkin, Utah's main drag and the larger, nearby town of Hurricane, but a step closer to Zion National Park. Returned for help after drowning my mobile in The Narrows and the desk clerk, Tawny, couldn't have been more helpful, texting my wife to let her know my phone was dead(not me!) and printing out direction to my next destination. Would definitely stay again!

    « plenty of space »

The rooms were good, we had a king bed with lots of space around it for other useful pieces. we slept well in the bed and the breakfast was a step up from the norm. While the main Zion park entrance is about 15 miles away the Kolob canyons entrance is much closer and the entrance to the centre of the park near Virgin is as close as can be for any large hotel. There are also other things to see locally along the Hurricane fault line.

    « I would go back _ »

I booked this hotel for 2 nights - to visit Zion Park. Did not regret it. It was quite & relaxing. I didn't hear any neighbours. We had a room with 2 queen beds, I did find the room a little small. Breakfast is very good, plenty of choices. My in laws had a room with a King bed and it was much bigger. Staying there is a very good idea , to visit Zion Park because hotels in Springdale are double the price and really not worth it. Zion Park is not to be missed in this area. Used the pool & outside spa - it was very nice.

    1
« Cannot Recommend ZION BW »

Worst BW Plus hotel we've ever stayed at. Customer service was non-existent, heated pool was freezing, furnishings were very low quality and not comfortable, internet kept kicking us off. On the 3rd floor where our room was located, looked like a dorm room on move out day. Three quarters of the doors were open and rooms were tumbled with bedding everywhere. Getting through the hall was challenging due to housekeeping carts blocking way and this was going on all afternoon until late in to the evening. Keep driving you'll find something better.

    5
    « Family friendly »

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs while on a road trip cross the country- this place is not IN Zion but it's a short drive to the park and little town outside the park. I recommend staying here in the summer to avoid the mayhem in the quaint park town. This Best Western was a pleasant surprise, room was clean and modern, dogs were kindly welcome, pool area and gym were just feet away, and breakfast got the job done! We left at 6am and drove through Zion to watch the sunrise which I highly recommend doing!

    5
    « La Verkin Rocks! »

This hotel is one of the top Best Western's in which we've ever had the pleasure of staying. The Staff are professional, helpful, personable and knowledgeable. The hotel is new, modern, clean and comfortable. The location is only twenty minutes from beautiful Zion Canyon. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

    5
« Best hotel on our 13 day National Parks Trip »

We booked this hotel through tripadvisor.com/booking.com. New, Modern, Clean and 20 miles from Zion National Park. We were a party of 4 with 2 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms were clean and the king beds were great. There was the usual desk and chair, refrigerator and microwave. The hotel has a large breakfast room with plenty to eat and 4 waffle machines in a room next door. There was a self-service laundry on the first floor (take lots of quarters). Service at the front desk was excellent and the breakfast hostess kept all the food stocked (hot and cold!).

    3
    « Expensive »

Whilst the hotel overall was good, it was expensive in comparison with other places we stayed whilst in America. I love a cup of tea in bed in the morning but there was no tea making facilities in the room which was disappointing. Bed was comfortable though - always a bonus!

    4
    « Good Place »

Somebody asked me about this place, and I told them "it's fine". Good location, typical BW rooms - Clean, a couple little quirks, but the beds were comfortable. Ample parking. Breakfast in the morning is included (not my thing, but seemed popular). Staff was great, wifi worked well. Was only there on a stop through for a night, but had fine experience. Seemed a bit pricey but like I said - good location, and comfortable beds.

    3
« Fine hotel, not clean in all respects »

This is a hotel that is especially useful when visiting Zion NP, which is about 20 miles up the road. Good quality facilities, good breakfast. However, we found previous guest's hairs on the counterpane. Also the coffee maker--in some kind of niche--hadn't been dusted or cleaned for a considerable time.

    4
« An unexpected delight is a quiet town »

The facility is pretty new and looks good. Breakfast is included and that is a definite plus in a small town. The staff was friendly. The room was well maintained and clean. Check in was easy and quick. AAA Discount was easily applied. I would return.

« Clean, Modern, Convenient to Zion Park »

New. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly accommodating staff. Pricey @ $209 + $26 in taxes but Zion Park commands higher. Book early. If you can't stay in Springdale then La Verkin is the next best location and park is straight down the road from this Best Western. Elevator sounded loud so they accommodated us with an immediate room change. Breakfast didn't have enough fresh fruit options, or yogurt, but did have apples, bananas, oranges, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal, pastries and a separate room for waffles. Try River Rock Roasting Co behind hotel for great coffee and smoothies (operates out of a cleverly modified shipping container.) Market and gas across street.

    4
« Newer building, nice and clean, great breakfast if you know where the waffles are! »

This struck us a a fairly new building and still had some problems going on. Not the staff's fault. Someone in the chain purchased couch/hideabeds that were "unsitable" and the same for the stuffed chair in the room. There was a large pile of the couches sitting in a corner of the parking lot and I asked at the front desk.....yes they were going to be replaced. Good choice. The shower stall was three slabs of marble/imitation marble that didn't have a soap dish or shelf at all. I can see that if they were using the soap dispensers that some places use, but they just had soap bars. The bathroom sink was one of those that sit on top of the counter. It was placed poorly in relation to the water spout. It seems to me that they rushed the construction and didn't pay attention to the little stuff. The room was clean and the beds were fine and there was the usual desk and chair, refrigerator and microwave. Large breakfast room with plenty to eat, but they didn't tell anyone or post a sign that the waffle machines were in a room next door. We saw that the room was open, but nobody in it like it was set up for a meeting. After breakfast I wandered in and found that the waffle machines....I think there was 4, 3 at least were there. Didn't hear the attendants say anything to the people eating, i.e. good morning, or waffles next door. There aren't any places to eat in town except a steakhouse down the street. The food there was okay, but pretty pricey. We paid $34 for a "cowboy steak" and $8 for an appetizer. The next town is 3-4 miles away, recommend to try there.

« Great hotel near Zion »

Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome and during our stay, the front desk answered all of our questions. The hotel is attractive, clean and has comfortable rooms. The breakfast is OK. While Zion is a 20 minute drive and you can stay closer in Springdale, this hotel is a great value and the drive to Zion is scenic anyway. I would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Great stay near Zion »

We enjoyed our stay here between our trips to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. About 20 minutes from the entrance to Zion. Rooms were nice and comfortable, a large variety of hot and cold options for breakfast (note there are two breakfast rooms, a little confusing at first). Not a lot of restaurants nearby, but on recommendation of hotel staff we went to the Stagecoach Grill, where food and service were great. Chocolate chip cookies at check-in were delicious, a welcome treat after a long drive!

    5
« Worth it for the breakfast »

If you're in town to hike Zion (which we were) then the breakfast here cannot be beat. I think even vegetarians could get enough protein from it if you're used to the exertion of hiking. (Good luck getting vegetarian protein from anywhere else around). There's also a hot tub (again, great for hiking), and a reasonably sized fridge and microwave, which we also really appreciated. However, the rooms were the smallest I've seen in a while, and for a group of 3 it was tight. 4 would not have fit in one room comfortably. Given how much of Utah is empty space, I found that very frustrating. Also the wifi was unreliable, and our room wasn't cleaned or restocked every day, which was annoying.

    5
    « SC Honeymooners »

Great hotel and the breakfast staff on Sunday morning were the sweetest ever. We had slept in tired from traveling and missed breakfast. They brought us a to go breakfast with water, apple and a granola bar. Then we came in tired from visiting in Zion National and got cookies for an afternoon treat. And all while my husband is doing the laundry. Life is good. The rooms have Windows yeah for fresh air.

    3
« Not quite what it should be »

Hotel has a cleanliness problem in the bathrooms, and I wasn't aware the bedsheets were not changed daily, but that isn't a big problem on a two-day stay. Lighting in the room is almost excessively bright, and there is no entrance hall light independent of all the room lights. Hotel and room are very attractive. The bed was very comfortable, firm and new. Breakfast was excellent for this type of hotel.

    5
« Great Hotel near Zion »

While it's about 17 miles from Zion, it is from the entrance where you do not have to pass through the tunnel -- which can cause long delays! And none of the chains are in the park proper. And this one was as ncie as any I saw or stayed in, but for less than half the price. Would definitely choose again!

    4
    « Charming & Enjoyable »

Stayed 2 Nights, Hot Tubs , pool and good breakfast too plus close to National Park Quiet and nicer area too. Nicely greeted and very helpful. Close to entrance and some shopping center plus very good restaurant.

    « !Safety concern! »

Very nice hotel and staff. Breakfast was great, parking lot was very clean along with grass. But their sink was breaking safety code and broke, breaking alot of items we had and injuring my girlfriend slightly

Clean, modern, attractive, amenable, convenient, next to the best coffee shop around! Clerk was accomodating...helped me by allowing me to use copy machine. Nice rooms, good pool, great location to convenience store and one of the best western restaurants around!

    5
    « Great convenient hotel »

This Best Western was by far the best BW we have ever stayed in anywhere! Almost a luxury hotel feel-- could have fooled me-- except the breakfast wasn't great.... and of course there weren't any turkish robes or candies on the bed waiting for us... it was so mush more convenient for us to be located on the west side of Zion than the apparently more popular east side. The employees at this hotel were genuinely helpful, outrageously friendly and happy. Would most definitely stay here again!!

    5
« Awesome rooms, quiet and nice location »

We stayed here the night before the Kokopelli triathlon, which starts at Sand Hollow State Park. This hotel is about 15 minutes away from the starting line, so was a great location. The IRONMAN St George 70.3 starts at this same location, so would be a good spot to stay for those coming to that event in May. The hotel is fairly new, and the rooms are really nice, had 10-foot ceilings in our ground floor room, with plenty of room to store our bikes overnight. We weren't here long enough to use many of the amenities, but the pool looks really nice, but has no shade (and it can get hot here, was upper 90's in the afternoon when we were there). The gym was nice as well, and the front desk people were great. The only downside to this hotel is it's location, as there aren't a lot of nearby eating options. There is always the free breakfast in the lobby, but you'll need to drive to Washington (10 minutes) to find any restaurants of note. Not a problem for us, and shouldn't be a problem for those heading to Zions, as they can eat in Springville before returning to the hotel. I'd highly recommend this hotel for Zions hikers! Overall, as far as service and quality of the facility, this hotel is at the top end of Best Westerns we've stayed in. Give it a shot if you're in the area.

    4
    « NICE HOTEL - EXCELLENT STAFF »

This was a very nice hotel. Clean and very comfortable beds. The staff could not be any more accommodating. There is a new restaurant on premise which had a nice pub menu. They had entertainment which made for an extra bonus.

    5
« Just what we needed, a little ways from the park but just right. »

Hotel is very well kept, all amenities worked, rooms were clean, basically all we needed after hiking. The staff was helpful in every way. The breakfast lobby was a first and huge plus for us. Good set up of items in the morning, fresh waffles, oatmeal, fruit and make your own omelets. Parking is a bit limited but we managed to find some every evening. It is however a few miles out from Zion park, took us 20 mins to get there each way, but it was an easy drive and a little better since the park was at hight capacity for the labor day weekend and had more traffic in town.

    5
« Great location to visit Zion »

Great location, 10-15 mins from Zion Nat. Pk., very clean, great staff, excellent hot breakfast, loved the pool, staff was extremely helpful, this property is fairly new, very nicely kept, got a king suite, loved the room, very clean hotel.

    5
« Beautiful hotel is a great value »

The hotel was modern, clean, bright and welcoming. The staff was friendly and fast at check in. The room was nicely decorated with pillow-top mattresses. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Overall it was an excellent experience

    4
« NEWER PROPERTY WITH NICELY APPOINTED ROOMS »

This NEWER Best Western has NICELY appointed modern rooms. The morning breakfast area is ample with a GOOD selection of items. There is a small(VERY NICE) local grocery store across the street from the hotel which I found MOST convenient. VERY CLOSE to entrance of ZION Nat'l Park.

    5
« Very good BW Plus »

As a member of Best Western for years, I have ordered Best Western as my hotel in the past several years, many times. Compared with the ordinary BW hotel, I prefer the BW plus more. They provide comforter beds, spacious bathroom, great amenities, and a better breakfast.

    3
    « Ok for a night! »

The hotel is nice, we stayed one night after visiting Zion. The room is comfortable. The AC works well but is very noisy. The breakfast doesn't offer a wide choice. I suggest to ask for a room not near the swimming pool because of the noise. The staff is polite.

  • 3
« Average stay- expected more »

The room appeared nice and felt roomy, however the shower was tiny and the dresser/tv dusty. Attaching a photo. For over $100/night I expect it to be in better condition and be more roomy in the shower where I can store my sponge and soap/shampoo. Unfortunately, the hotels here are all expensive and you pay more for what you get.

« Poor management, spend the extra money to stay somewhere else! »

My family and I stayed here for a quick weekend away to enjoy Zion. The room itself was clean and decent and the stay was fine. We spent most of the time at Zion and only really used the hotel to sleep in. After we got home from our weekend, we had an extra charge on our card that shouldn't have been there. So my husband called the hotel, the girl he spoke with said that it shouldn't be there and she would have to have a manager fix it but the manager wasn't there at the time. My husband then called the next day (middle of the day) and got the same story, that he had just missed the manager. He called every single day for a week straight trying to get ahold of a manager, left his number several times expecting a call back, and never was able to get a manager on the phone to fix the issue. Terrible customer service on their part! Save yourself the hassle and stay elsewhere!

    5
« Great location for Zion National Park approx. 20 miles »

The hotel was really good overall experience. This was approx. 20 miles from Zion National park but no traffic or lights to stop you. You have to drive thru a small town that slightly slows you down. The hotel was new, fresh, friendly services , good breakfast. and was worth the money.

    5
    « Great hotel! »

Very clean, very nice. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly. They always talked with my 10 year old like she was just as important as the adults. Laundry facilities were clean and well kept. Rooms were clean and nice. The pool could use a little more shade but it was very nice.

« Best Western Zion Hotel »

Staff - entire stay and experience was outstanding - price also was the best for what was offered - breakfast included - food options were excellent - staff upgraded us as we are priority members even though we had very late arrival and they were full

« Great Hotel a short distance from Zion »

Enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Zion West Hotel. It was a short drive away from the Zion National park. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and clean with big TVs. The hot breakfast in the morning was of great value. The coffee was wonderful. Recommend it to all.

    5
    « Excellent »

Staff, rooms, overall cleanliness was all excellent. The breakfast was delishous. For future reference, we didn't know there were two breakfast rooms. One has oatmeal and waffles, the other has sausage, eggs, etc. All was very yummy and fresh tasting. Thank you very much! We will be staying here again!

    5
« Ideal for trip to Zion »

Comfortable and close to Zion. Much better option than others in hurricane area. Springdale is more convenient, but way overpriced. I'll definitely stay again. Also, hard to complain about included breakfast and cookies. Easy check in and polite staff. Room was clean and as expected. Thanks!

« Great for Zion, Awesome breakfast included with room »

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2016, 2 adults, 2 kids, ages 6 and 8 while visiting Zion National Park. The hotel is about 25 minutes from the park entrance, there are closer hotel options, but we thought this one was great. There is a grocery store across the road, and a town nearby with good restaurants. You do have to drive from the hotel to Zion, where if you stay right outside of the park, you can take the shuttle, but this was not an issue for us, you just have to get to the park early enough to get a parking space (by 9am). The rooms were comfortable, the pool was awesome, the hotel staff even gave our kids a raft to play with in the pool that someone had left behind. There is a hot-tub at the pool. The breakfast is very good and included at no extra charge, there are 4 or 5 different types of waffles you can make, hot items, like eggs and sausage, and plenty of yogurt, fruit, cereal, juice, pastries, pretty much everything you can think of for breakfast. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel during our visit to Zion National Park. If you don't mind being a few minutes away from the park (which we actually really enjoyed because it was quiet and peaceful, where anything close to the park was packed with people) - then this is a good place for you.

« Wonderful place to stay! »

One of two, best hotel/motel experiences I had on my recent extended driving trip. While folks in Springdale were paying premium prices for hotel rooms, we opted for Best Western in La Verkin, Utah. A bit further of a drive to Zion, but for price and quality you won't find anything better than this place. Its a fairly new hotel, and seemed extra clean, and everything in perfect working order. I rented a king bed room, and it was large and furnished with a couch, easy chair, table, and office chair, for computer, small refrigerator, and a microwave. Other relatives rented great rooms as well. The kids loved the large pool, and hot tub. And the breakfast was the best, from waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, yogurt, juices - the works - you'd spend $12 to $15 dollars per person at a nearby restaurant, for a comparable breakfast, so our family of 5 saved a lot by having a great breakfast here. Along with all the amenities, the friendly, competent staff made this one wonderful place to stay.

« Great Stay near Zion National Park »

We planned a trip to three national parks on short notice -- and basically grabbed whatever reservations we could get. I've always liked Best Westerns and this was no exception. The room was great -- the staff was exceptional -- especially the front desk -- the pool and hot tub were fantastic. Breakfast was fun -- including a make your own waffle station. We like the other guests who had a lot of knowledge about hiking in the park and were good about sharing information. No complaints!

« Two night stay to visit Zion »

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. Desk clerk answered all our questions. Loved the fruit infused water in the lobby! Room was good sized and clean. Convenient location. Great breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay again.

« Great Price for Great Quality Hotel »

We booked this hotel for Zion National Park last minute and were pleasantly surprised from the get go. The price was low, the exterior and interior were very clean, the room was clean, and the staff was helpful and curteous. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely return.

« Please tell stay after visiting zion »

If you are planning on heading. Back to Zion, this would be far but, if you want to be near the 15 then it's a good choice. Clean rooms, friendly staff, breakfas was good. Room was quiet and clean, there are many places closer to the park this is about 20-30 minute drive.

« Great value 30min from Zion NP »

PROs: Relatively new, clean rooms, comfortable beds, large bathrooms, free breakfast (usual fare), good WiFi, pool, laundry. If you want to be right at the door of Zion NP you should stay in Springdale, but this place offers great value if you don't mind a 30min drive to the park.

    5
    « Perfect for family »

Price was good, rooms were very clean, breakfast was amazing and even had non-dairy & gluten free options, waffle bar was delicious, & the beds were comfortable! The pool even opens early, i.e. if you wanted to take advantage before checkout it is very doable! Also has onsite laundry and gym. Only stayed for one night but would definitely stay again.

    5
« Lovely, close, quiet and easy »

This is easy to find on the route to Zion NP. The clerk had our complimentary bags ready for us as we arrived. Each one of the 4 rooms were ready when we arrived. They were clean, large and comfy! The laundry room very clean and well kept. The breakfast area large and served good fruit. Easy check out and clerk willing to assist with anything. Bathroom was spotless too!

    « Fabulous Room »

When I stepped into the room, I could not believe how nice it was. Oversized with a bench, desk, sofa, and lounge chair. The room was impeccably clean. No sign of dust. Mirrors literally polished. Nice and quiet during the night also. The breakfast was everything and more. Omelets, bacon, sausage, waffles (three flavors), toast, bagels, oatmeal, and cereals. Something for everyone. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Zion NP.

« Great Stay and clean »

Great place and value with breakfast included. It was surprisingly as good as any other luxury hotel. We were very satisfied with staff and room. We highly recommend this place to stay when goin to ZION NATIONAL PARK.

    « Mixed feelings »

Got charged a total of three times. Not sure if that's the hotels fault or the bank. The hotel itself was really nice though. They call it Best Western Zion, but it's over 40 minutes from the park entrance, and charges as if it's in the park.

« Hands down nicest Best Western I have stayed at. »

There is nothing bad to say about this hotel. The front desk was super friendly and they have quite a few maps of the area. The rooms are huge, large bathroom and very clean. It was super hot that day and the air worked great. The pool was outside, no view to speak of but large enough to swim in. There was a washer and dryer on the 1st floor. The breakfast was average but it had your basics. Eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal, coffee, juice and milk. There was a woman there keeping it replenished which was nice. What I so liked about this place are the employees. So many places the employees are not real friendly but that was not the case here. I saw many of them in the breakfast room and spoke to a woman who told me they let the employees eat there for free. What a great perk for them and for us. If the employees are treated well they in turn are nice to the customer, which obviously is the case here. In a small town where it is sometimes hard to find help this is what all employers should be doing. Great job, Best Western.

    « Location »

Excellent quiet location for visiting Zion NP. Good clean room with a comfortable bed, very welcome after hiking trails in Zion. Bathroom was good with a very good shower. Stayed two nights and the bed was made up and the room was spotless for the second night. Very good hot breakfast with plenty of it.

« Clean, Great Breakfast, Proximity to Zion NP Springdale entrance »

An overnight stay after visiting Zion NP. The facility was sparkling clean, as was the room (which had a fridge and microwave) the bathroom and the linens. Perfectly working refrigerated air and an outdoor swimming pool; outside temps were in high 90s. Professional, friendly, helpful staff, all who looked purposeful and on task. The breakfast waffle bar had 4 flavored batters: OMG!!! Kids loved that. Breakfast offerings included several fruits, yogurts, cereals, hot bevvies, vitamin water and juices, all maintained and refreshed by two attentive staff. Plus there were flat screen TVs turned on with unobtrusive volume sharing a news station and the national news crawl. Nightly price was half of the establishments in Springdale. Eat dinner in Springdale and then find this place. Ideally close to the town's decent supermarket as well as gas stations. You have to ask, but they do offer military discounts.

    5
« Great spot and amenities »

The check in process was simple, the room was a nice size, the pool was heated well, the hot tub worked, the gym was small, but well kept, the hotel was clean and the breakfast had a nice variety. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Vacation »

The staff was terrific! Especially the young woman at the front desk, she steered us to a great eating place and was always a ray of sunshine to us weary travelers! The free breakfast was phenomenal! I've never been seen omelets offered as "fix them your way" also there was at least 3 different types of FRESH fruit available. The room was great.

    « Best Western Plus »

New hotel near Zion in Utah, staff were very friendly, hotel was very clean, nice location, good free breakfast, free internet. Price is good except I recommend that you book early for a better holiday rate. I recommend that you call the hotel directly for a better price as the main national booking line can become over logged. Staff at hotel were great, friendly, and helpful!

    5
    « Comfortable »

My one-night stay here left nothing to complain about. The room was clean, comfortable and fairly large. It was a pleasure to have a strong wifi signal after two nights of less than subpar coverage elsewhere. There was a pretty large continental breakfast in the morning. I was in an out fairly quickly but it was a very positive experience.

    « 4 stars for this hotel »

Our room is very clean and the staff are very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay to any other Best Western hotels. This hotel is only 20mins away to Zion. The only negative thing is there is no restaurants nearby. But we love our stay here.

    5
    « Zion's best hotel. »

This hotel has to be the best place to stay near, but not close to Zion National Park entrance. If you want to be away from the crowds motorcycle and car noise, this is the place to stay. This hotel is clean, quite, well located, has plenty of good places to eat, and appears to be very safe. We loved it.

    2
« Watch out for wifi, overcharges »

I was quoted a different price over the phone than I was charged upon arrival. My wife had inappropriate material popup on I=Phone after using wifi. I was told the room had a coffee pot but found a small one cup device in room that could not be used.

    « I complained, they fixed it! »

This is actually an update to an older review. One of the rooms I had stayed in had a couple of issues that normally I wouldn't have complained about. The drapes had a serious lack of privacy, seeing as how they could not be closed any more than they were as they were installed. A passer by outside could easily look in . That and the door lock fell off as I shut the door, and the sink was having issues as well . I visited the hotel 2 weeks later and stayed in the same room reluctantly. Everything was fixed! From past experience at other places I've stayed, not much gets taken care of. They must have put privacy drapes on every room after I spoke my concern. Needless to say I was thrilled enough after seeing I was taken seriously to write this update.

« New, roomy, and clean »

The room was nice, and large. Nice decor and furniture. No problems at all. Hotel staff very good and professional. There are no nearby restaurants, however. It's about 30 minutes from Zion Nat'l Park.

« Just an arm's length away of South Entrance of Zion NP »

During our stay in the area of Zion NP we did choose the BW Plus Zion West because it is just an arm's length away from the South Entrance of the NP. Hotel seemed to be quite new. Room was clean and furnished as expected. Wifi in the room was available for free. Hotel offers an small outdoor pool and a fitness room too, but we did not use service. Continental breakfast is offered by hotel, but nothing special. Staff was friendly and attentive. All over price-performance ratio was good. Hotel can be recommended.

« This is not your father's Best Western! »

Beautiful clean room, friendly efficient staff, included great breakfast, all at reasonable price. What's not to love? Large room, nice bathroom, very comfortable beds with lots of pillows. Check in staff, cleaning staff, breakfast staff all went out of their way to cheerily assist us in directions, restaurant recommendations, etc.

« Many good things but theft and poor housekeeping »

Nice furnishings, nice service (mostly) but housekeeping challenges (our guest room door left ajar one day, forgot to clean the next). And then, controlled prescription drugs stolen out of my husband's luggage while there. Police took report. Owner didn't seem too concerned..

    3
« Okay hotel with a fantastic view »

This was the second best western we stayed in on our national park vacation trip. It was only okay. The rooms were smaller then the BW in Bryce Canyon. The shower handle was loose so the water went from warm to scalding quickly. Breakfast was broken up into 2 rooms and it wasn't anything special. If your looking for a place to just sleep then stay here. If your staying for more then one day your better off looking else where.

Location between Zion National Park and St. George Top quality motel. Quiet, comfortable room, awesome breakfast offering cold & hot food. Pool, jakuzi, exercise room. Friendly and helpful staff. You can hang out in the lobby as if it were a living room. Couches, television...

    « Great Pet-Friendly Hotel »

This is a clean and comfortable room in a convenient location just outside of Zion National Park. Since we travel with our dogs, Best Western is a great option. Friendly staff and good breakfast to get our day started.

« Home Away from Home »

There were 7 of us traveling together and we needed three rooms with two connecting for a family of 5. I had booked 3 rooms and I should have been proactive and called the property to let the folk there know what configuration was preferable for the 7 of us. When we arrived Robyn deftly arranged the perfect rooms to meet our needs. She was professional yet friendly and in a word gracious. I performed a Speed Test on the internet. Download speed was over 100 Megabits. This property has the fasted internet speed I have ever experienced at a hotel.

Great overall hotel, very clean, breakfast was exceptional, decor was modern, pool was fairly clean though no towels provided at the pool (had to ask front desk for towels which is not a negative but we didn't know this since there were no signs posted to let us know where to get towels).

« New Place in Hurricane Cheaper than Springdale »

This hotel was built about 2 years ago and is really nice. Their rates are much better than what you will find down the road in Springdale, which is the town at the entrance to Zion. Plus its right next to a grocery store, coffee shop and Maverik convenience store, that has gas. Things are new, they have an outdoor pool and the property is well kept. There is a lot of parking on the north side of the Hotel I didn't see till I looked out my window. Plus a big dirt lot for trailers.

    5
    « Always good »

If there is a Best Western, I almost always go there. It's the best bang for the buck. Always a clean, comfortable room with good internet service. Always a decent breakfast thrown in. I get the platinum member and AAA member discounts, too.

« Nice place to stay for Zion National Park »

We stayed here for two nights to visit Zion National Park. It is about a 25 minute drive to the park--very easy. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The wifi signal was strong. The breakfast was fine--nothing out of the ordinary.

    5
« Comfortable, quiet and peaceful. »

The room was large, pleasantly painted, with furniture that suited. King size bed, sofa and easy chair and a desk that had enough room to work at. Ample easy access power outlets. Flat screen TV, microwave, coffee machine and fridge. Bathroom was modern and well laid out. Wi-fi is free, as is breakfast in a spacious dining room. Food included hot and cold options, fruit and juices, coffee and tea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is easy. There is a pool and exercise room, plus extra services if needed.

    « The Suite »

Great Hotel. Very large breakfast area. On the corner of the hi way to Zion. Easy parking. Plenty of food choices just down the road in Hurricane. Quit area. Gas station across the street. Not far from St George.

    « Stolen item »

I gave this a one star because of a theft that occurred while staying here for 2 nights. An expensive art box was accidentally left behind when we checked out. A few hours later we realized we had left it in our room and made a call immediately regarding retrieving it. We got a call back several hours later saying our room had not been occupied by anyone else, however nothing had been turned into lost and found. So another call the next day to no avail. Then I called to speak to the manage and was told she was not in but would be next day. left a message and when I didn't hear back, I called and was told she wasn't in that day either and she would be next day. I called next day and couldn't reach her. Hotels have cleaning rosters and how simply it would have been to find out who cleaned our room.. Because of this incident, I will not stay here again.

« Nice place conveniently located near Zion »

We did a quick overnight trip to Zion from Vegas with some out of town friends who were visiting from the east coast. I was pleasantly surprised that there was last minute availability of two rooms in this hotel which is conveniently located outside of Zion National Park, by about a thirty minute drive roughly. The property appears to be newer, well maintained, is pet friendly for an additional reasonable $20 pet fee, is clean, and offers several amenities. The property has a small pool, offers a free breakfast which includes the usual eggs, bacon, waffles, pastries, coffee, juices, etc as well as a small gym and free WiFi, and a nice large grassy area to walk your pets. The rooms were clean and included an ironing board, a small fridge, flat screen TV, small desk, phone, and a coffee maker. The shower had good water pressure and best of all the room was somewhat quiet, meaning you really didn't hear noise from above you or in the hallways. All in all, everything was pleasant about our stay and we will definitely stay here when we visit the area again. The only complaint (well not really) I have is the parking lot seems to be small and doesn't accommodate a lot of vehicles, especially if you were to be in an RV or large truck pulling a trailer.

    4
    « Great for families »

We stayed here before going to Zion NP. It is a great location to stay if you want to explore that area. Breakfast was so nice, 5 different types of waffles, yum! Rooms were a bit small but the shower and the beds were nice. The down part about this is that a lot of rooms (if not all of them) are adjoining. The people in the room next to us were so loud and made popcorn a lot. So our room smelled like popcorn and sounded like a daycare. The place was fully booked so no move possible. We just turned on the tv and tried to drown it out. I would advise going here if you want to have an adjoining room if you're with a larger party, otherwise you might consider staying in Springdale which is closer to the park.

« Probably best western that i have visisted uring my south west trip »

How can i say about this place? Its location is near Zion (20-30 minutes by car if you go by 8.00 AM) so is an excellent and much more comfortable and cheaper option compared to hotels placed inside or around Zion area, plus they have an excellent gym where you can use weight and aerobycs instruments, plus there is an lcd tv of around 40" to watch channels (and they are automatically subtited in english, useful when as foreign you want to enjoy big bang theory but lacks the ability to comprehend the peculiar acccent and quick speeches of actor) The breakfast served the best bacon that i have tasted during my stay in 2016 (not like the one that i have tasted at Hilton in Virginia, but pretty good anyway) and the room had the usual extremely good queen size beds that american hotels are so famous (and since i suffer from slipped disc it's an extra bonus) Perhaps my favourite location was the hot tub where you could enjoy an hydromassage every 15 mins (if you set the timer correctly) and also the near pool was warmed, not at same level of hot tub but well appreciated by teens Indeeed an excellent choice and hotel

    4
    « Nice place »

Looks like a fairly new place. Great location for us to get to Zion park, only 20 min down the road if that long. My son enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was adequate. We had a pet with us too and they where accommodating, we asked for a room close to a door for potty breaks. Room was on the first floor close to a door. We did not enjoy the kids in the upstairs room playing jump rope or what ever they were doing till 11:30. We would stay again.

    « Nice Stay »

It was all very nice. It was close enough to zions so that we didn't have to drive very far at all. The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. I slept like a "baby." We will definently be staying here again in the future.

    « Well worth the $$$ »

GREAT stay, to visit Zion National Park. Rooms are VERY clean, staff is incredibly helpful and polite. And not just some of the staff, the breakfast staff came out to talk to us about our visit and if they could get us anything else or make us waffles. The housekeeping staff, always were friendly and asked if we needed anything. And the front desk staff was very helpful with all our needs, especially the manager Spruce. Hotel is about 20 miles from Zion, but the drive there is beautiful, and doesn't seem like that long. There are restaurants, shopping, gas and bars along the way. if you don't mind the drive, and want to pay half of what it costs to stay closer to the Zion entrance, this is the hotel for you. Hurricane city is a couple miles away and has any fast food or other restaurants you might want. There is a Maverik gas station and a grocery store across the street. Very convenient location.

My husband and my were planning going to Zion but there were not rooms available in Springdale, so we finally went to Best Western hotel in La Verkin. « Again! A pleasurable experience »

Exactly one year ago the family and I spent our vacation visiting Zion and Bryce Parks. Fortunately we discovered this hotel and found it to be wonderful for our needs and our budget. The property and staff were outstanding. We will be visiting the area again in the future and will stay here.

    « Very nice hotel »

I was surprised with the quality of this hotel, I wasn't expecting much when we first booked. The hotel is in great shape. The beds were a bit harder than what I prefer, but not uncomfortable. The pool is nice and the hot tub is very nice after a long day. The free breakfast has your standard options like eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, waffles, juice and coffee. There are also free cookies in the lobby in the evenings. Great location for people visiting Zion National Park.

« Nice hotel close to Zion National Park »

The 2 queen room was clean and comfortable, although a little tight with the overstuffed chair between our bed and the wall. There was a frig with a small freezer in the room, which we needed. The staffer on duty at check in was friendly and efficient. We used reward points for the room, and it worked fine, except we were charged taxes. The hot breakfast was excellent with a eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, pastries, yogurt, etc., and the room was plenty large to eat comfortably. It is a short drive from La Verkin UT to Zion National Park, which was our destination. We would stay there again.

« Fabulous stop on Hwy 9 - to or from Zion »

Happened upon this hotel on my way to Zion and am so glad I stopped. Almost brand new, great beds and pillows, and chocolate chips cookies. The room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast had all I needed - oatmeal, toast, yogurt, fresh fruit as well as a waffle room to make your own. Stopped there both on my way south and on my way back home. And will again next trip!

    « Fantastic Hotel »

We went on a road trip through 4 states and made reservations as we were driving down the road. This was the best reservation of the entire trip wish we could have taken this room with us. The room was in fantastic condition and the staff was super friendly. We ended up sleeping through breakfast but I bet it was as good as the rest of the place. Also its in a great location and only a few miles from some great local restaurants (The BBQ was fantastic at Sonny Boys) just about 5 minutes in a nearby town of Hurricane.

« Lovely hotel - great big rooms! »

This was a clean, convenient and excellent hotel if you're heading into Zion National Park. The suites are quite large and the breakfast will fill you up. It's a fantastic choice. Also - the coffee shop across the street is great for lattés and other espresso drinks too! Would definitely stay here again.

« Excellent value for the money »

We've stayed at this hotel several times and never been disappointed. It is very clean, updated, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, friendly staff, good complimentary breakfast. We love staying at this hotel. We've stayed at others hotels and by far this hotel supersedes the rest. Would highly recommend. In my experience you get more for your money with the Best Western than most others in this price point.

    5
    « comfy beds »

Such a beautiful hotel, the price was right (March 8, 2016), and in town so able to get whatever supplies/groceries one needs. After a hard day of hiking, we were exhausted. The beds were super comfy. Best Western has upgraded their facilities so much that I no longer consider other hotels. Best Western Plus gives a great product for the price!

« THE place to stay when visiting Zion »

Spent 5 nights at the Best Western Plus Zion West hotel during a recent family trip to Zion and it was great! Just 20 miles from the park, the location can't be beat and the manager obviously takes pride in ensuring guests are comfortable and happy. The hot breakfast each day was delicious and plentiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the jetted hot tub was really appreciated after our 10+ mile hiking day! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who finds themselves in need of lodging in La Verkin.

    « Best hotel I've encountered »

This is the best hotel in the area. The price is great. In fact I even was given a suite the second time I stayed for no additional price. Overtime I go there they add another cool feature. This year they added a second dining area with a waffle bar that offers choices of strawberry, chocolate, maple cinnamon, apple, or regular. I always tell everyone to stay there and they always wish they had once I show them pictures of my nice room and tell them how amazing the breakfast buffet is. I just love it there!

    « 3rd Party Booking »

This is a very clean and spacious hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and the fast Wifi. Every morning you could smell the bacon cooking. It made waking up easier. The staff around the hotel were pleasant and very helpful. The front desk staff were a little rude to us. We booked through Expedia because we could save money. On Expedia the pictures and description showed a Jacuzzi tub in a king suite. After we checked into our room and found that it didn't match the description and pictures online we went back to the front desk. They treated us like we were dumb because we had fallen for booking with a third-party telling us that the Honey-moon suite was the only room they had with a Jacuzzi tub inside the room. They told us all of this while there were several people behind us in line. Not a very good customer service practice. Every time we spoke with the front desk they referred to us as the "Expedia Reservation." We had another person with us that rented a separate room. Her room was next to one of the entry doors that sticks so you have to pull really hard to open it. The noise is enough to wake the dead, people were coming and going at all hours. We mentioned it to the front desk and they finished our sentence. They knew the door already had a problem and were not concerned with it. We stayed for three nights and the door was the same for the complete duration. Check-out is at 11 am and they decided to deactivate the key card at 10 am. We had to have the staff that was cleaning the room down the hall open the door on two different occasions. I would stay here again if the price is right. Maybe I will book through Travelocity and see what they say about that.

    4
« Largest Room I have ever stayed in »

The front desk clerk treated us as lower class guests since we had booked with Expedia using off season and AAA discounts rather than directly through the hotel and they deactivated the room key well in advance of the check out time (we stayed three nights). The room is really large with separated living area, bedroom and bathroom. The accommodation was larger and better than expected. The bed was comfortable and afforded a good night sleep. The other furniture is hard as a rock and not conducive to guest relaxing to watch the television. The fridge and freezer needed defrosted and cleaned. We would consider staying at this hotel again even though the experience was not perfect.

« Best Western Plus La Verkin, UT »

Beautiful hotel, room. Terrific staff at front desk. Free WiFi. But...sadly my night's rest was not good with noise clearly heard from the next room. Crying child on and off all night on night #1, snoring man on night #2. Returned back to room after breakfast, and snoring man awake and reading out loud to his roommate. Yikes!

    « A ZILLION STARS WOULDN'T BE ENOUGH! »

Where to start?! Wish I took pictures of the room! Such a very nice property and grounds! The room was spectacular and HUGE. The bathroom was spotless and the sink was beautiful ivory white deep square. The housekeeping staff (everyone I came across in the hallways) stops and says hello while asking how your day was. This hotel I would call a resort with all the amenities and the cleanliness. The outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi were amazing. I didn't want to get out. Housekeeping isn't loud in the hallways in the mornings; they clean the other rooms without disturbing you or rushing you out. Couldn't even tell this was pet friendly until I saw someone walking out with a dog. The breakfast area is large and you have the option of MAKING YOUR OWN WAFFLES with FIVE FLAVORS to select from. The laundry room and fitness room was very clean. From the staff to the beautiful and clean space with amazing amenities, I honestly did not want to leave. Nothing but amazing service and truly a wonderful place to stay. My favorite out of all in my travels.

We had booked a king suite. We expected to have a living area and a sleeping area. We were assigned a king room/accessible...not what I reserved or paid for(.I had asked for an accessible bath in the king suite) There were two adults, but the room only had one chair. We had expected to use our room for a much needed relaxation area. Not possible with only one chair. I did my best, with three different front desk people to secure another chair. They were rigid in their refusal to locate a second chair for us. We sat in the lobby a lot. I was overcharged when we checked out and the 15% courtesy discount didn't cover the overcharge. The management leaves a lot to be desired.

« One night on way to Zion Nat Park »

A nice quiet hotel not far from Zion. Not many decent hotel options in the area. This is one of them. I was visiting Toquerville and Hurricane, UT and this is the best hotel in the area. Roomy, a pool, business center, workout room and breakfast. Good value. I'll bring the family next time in a few months

    « Bacon »

Nothing beats the way the sun peeks over the mountains and glistens onto that fat of the bacon, as it drips down the long thin strands of piggy flesh. The bacon coats your lips in its sublime grease that outshines any chapstick. HOWEVER!, this was a dark and gloomy morning that coated the land in snow and ice. It's as if the bowels of hell were opened to heat this piggy's corpse to stave off the icy clutch of mother earth. Sadly the lil piggy was was roasted to a state of bacon brittle. Every bite I took left shards of piggy in my mouth that were like glass. Never had I had bacon that was so dry, as if I was eating ash. In desperation I tried to spit it out the shards of bacon, but it sliced my mouth open and barely got it out of my mouth. As my mouth mingled with blood and ash I vowed to ? NEVER EAT DRY BACON AGAIN!?. Seeing as it was most likely the same bacon from when breakfast started all is forgiven. There were not enough people eating breakfast so that more could be made. I will stay here in the future when I go to ZION. Cheap, clean, and close to ZION. WIN,WIN, and WIN XOXO MR. Wolf

    « Huge rooms »

We were amazed at the size of the rooms in this Best Western! Could have had a party with 20 people in the living area, same in bedroom. There were two separate heating units in the two room suite. Quite amazing to me was the temperature of the bathroom. It was consistently hotter than the rest of the room! This is a great place to stay. One downside is the lack of eating places nearby. You have to drive about 5 miles to next town.

great value, upscale hotel at the same price of a cheap hotel, the bed was very nice, the room was larger than normal, the hotel overall decor is better than most. staff were all very friendly. the breakfast was hot and a little better than average

« Great hotel but there's room for improvement »

Pros: Large rooms Comfortable beds Good breakfast Great location if you want to visit Zion Nice staff The internet connection! (Speedtest: 35-38Mbit - the manager even told me that they are working on an upgrade. So no need to miss out on Netflix while staying here) We loved the whole area around Zion and Hurricane. Cons: The staff were nice and all, but there was a lack of professionalism. I don't know if the majority of the staff were hired recently, but it didn't feel like they knew what they were doing. We had to ask the front desk 2 days in a row to get our room cleaned. The hotel was not even 1/4 full, so I can't even imaging what chaos it could be if it was fully booked. When we went down to tell them that our room hadn't been cleaned, they didn't apologize or acted if they cared at all. I know it's not the end of the world, but I don't think it's too much to ask for to get the room cleaned once during a 4 night stay. Anyways, we loved our stay and we would love to return. Hopefully the staff gets a little more training, so they can handle things like telling the cleaning crew to clean a room. If it hadn't been for the lack of professionalism, we would've given the hotel 5/5 stars.

« VERY IMPRESSED! Warm, cozy place to stay, greeted w/warm cookies. »

Hubby & I stayed just 1 night, but wished we would have stayed the whole time here! Love the location, away from the "city" scene, very quite and VERY CLEAN! The room was bigger then expected and very modern. The Tub was perfect for relaxing w/out being obnoxiously large. We were greeted by a friendly face and warm cookies. The bed was heaven! very cozy and beautifully made w/a gorgeous crisp white bedspread & plump feather pillows. The Breakfast was AWESOME! And I ate my weight in waffles!I have had Hotel breakfast before and they have always been disappointing and now I know why!? I was expecting and wanting them to be like this breakfast! FREE And w/ bacon and Biscuits & Gravy! I am not only going to visit again but going to visit again soon!

« Another good hotel in the Best Western Plus chain »

As others have said, Best Western usually offers a good value and a clean, comfortable room. This was no exception based on our experience. We arrived here after having driven from nearby Zion National Park (about 45 minutes away). Zion, like other parks we visited in winter (Arches, Carlsbad Caverns, Bryce) are quite different and amazing in winter when almost no on visits. We were greeted nicely upon arrival and given the room we expected. Our one bedroom suite room (with tub) was on the back side of the hotel, facing east, and that was nice as it was very quiet. The windows in the room open for fresh air. The bedroom arrangement is a bit odd. There is a sitting/living room with sofa, chair and desk, and a connecting room with the bed. But that bedroom is about 20 feet long by 10 feet wide, with the bed at one end and the tv and dresser at the other end. As a result, the room looks very big and empty and the smaller sized flat screen is 18 feet away when sitting in bed. The sitting room sofa and chair were not comfortable to sit in and were made of a very stiff, slippery material. It felt as if you were falling forward when you sat on them, so we sat on the bed to read. The bathroom as two doors, one to the bedroom and one to the sitting room, so that's a plus if one is sleeping and the other wants use it while in the sitting room. The furniture looks new, so I doubt they would change out the sofa and chair, but I'd recommend it. The wifi was good, and the breakfast was very good (and free). Parking was right in front and they designed the parking lot/entry so that there are no steps, just sloping pavement which is great for roller luggage when entering. Staff was friendly which goes a long way.

« Nice stay and good breakfast »

We stayed 2 nights in this nice hotel. Room was larger than expected, and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. 6 kinds of waffles! The staff was friendly and helpful. One disappointment was that the hot tub was not in operation. But, we did appreciate the cookies in the lobby in the evening.

« Pleasantly surprised; a very good value. »

I travel a lot, and this compared very favorably to the Doubletree's and HGI's I stay in in California, but at a much better price. The breakfast was nice, and I like the added ouch of games and books next to the lobby. Very convenient to Zions. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

    « Dishonest, Rude Staff »

The staff was dishonest. I was very very disappointed in them. When we checked in they told us that both the pool and the hot tub were closed for the season. We had been traveling all day and were looking forward to sitting in the hot tub and having the kids play. I got the kids settled down for bed and then we heard people out playing in the pool quite loudly. My daughter went and asked about the pool and the desk staff told her it was closed but if they didn't see you go out and you ignored the sign then you could swim. By that time we all needed to get to sleep so didn't have time to swim and didn't get much sleep because the people in the pool we so noisy both outside in the pool and as they walked through the hall by our room. We were all in bed when the front desk staff called to ask us to be quiet, I'm not sure how 4 people laying in bed watching a cartoon is louder than than all the people playing and laughing at the pool. Just an awful stay all around. I won't be back.

    « Nice, comfortable hotel. »

Brand new so everything is nice. The cleaning crew is not the best. Behind the door of the bathroom the floor is dirty in the corners. You can see they are doing a quick surface clean rather than a thorough one. The pool and hot tub are both closed which was disappointing. They have a very nice exercise room. The location is easy to get to and find. The front desk staff was pleasant, but not outstanding. Overall a nice comfy place to stay. However if they continue with the poor cleaning, it will soon become awful.

    « A Nice Surprise »

Happy to have found this BW location. Staff was very friendly, king suite was huge and priced really well during our January travel. Breakfast included 4 flavors of waffle mixes...that's a first! Would definitely stay here again.

« Lousy customer service, they are out to rip you off. »

I was travelling on I-15 from Las Vegas to Colorado on a snowy night with terrible road conditions. I searched on my smartphone for hotels in Cedar City, 15 miles down the road. This hotel came up and seemed good so I made a reservation. When I received the confirmation in my email I saw that the hotel was not in cedar City, but more than 40 miles off our route. I immediately called to cancel the reservation, and the girl who answered told me she was unauthorized to cancel and we would be charged. I later called and talked to the manager Spruce and should told me she could not credit me back, sorry, and then hung up on me.

« Legit breakfast included? YES! Oh and the location is great too. »

Only stayed here a night and wasn't expecting much since I thought I was booking a low budget motel basically. The location was very convenient from our trip to Zion. For what I paid, think I got a pretty decent deal. The breakfast is what really sold the 4 stars because it wasn't just a toast and coffee kind of breakfast but they had bacon, sausage, eggs and get this - biscuits and gravy! That was so unreal. There were also fruits and yogurt for the health nuts. Oh and I forgot about the waffle room where you make your own waffles. I didn't try this as the biscuits and gravy were enough. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars was that my brother found a pair of undies underneath his bed that was not ours.

We were very happy with the price an quality but the receptionists and breakfast were not so good. Also the room was always very hot (even when we turned off the heater). In general it is a good hotel.

Nice comfy stay. Very clean and modern rooms. Very quite and clean, new beds. Ample Parking space around the hotel. Just wish they had more veggie options at breakfast. Highly recommended if visiting Zion Natl Park.

    « Don't stay here! »

The staff here is terrible! They are rude and disrespectful! They also do not respect the "do not disturb" sign. They walked in my room 2 times, completely ignoring the sign on the door. The pillows are also terrible, they are hard and lumpy! Please do yourself. Favor and stay anywhere else but here!

« Nice pet-friendly hotel when visiting Zion National Park »

we stayed here for the night for us to rest after visiting the Zion National Park.. We actually preferred to stay in Springdale, Utah but there wasnt available that can accomodate our dog. The hotel is nice and clean with modern twist, breakfast is good with bacon and eggs and you can even make your own waffles. Also theres a minimal fee of $20 for your dog which is a good rate compared to the other hotels we've been to.I'm definitely coming back.

    5
    « Convenient location. »

Our stay was comfortable, room was clean and the entire hotel smelled like it was newly remodeled. It is located about 20 minutes from Zion National Park where we were headed the next day. Good price and friendly staff.

« 2 night stay while visiting Zion NP. »

Ya know, I really have no complaints about this place. Check in was quick and friendly, and cookies at the front desk after a couple of hours in the car were a nice touch. The room was nice and big, we had the king bed whirlpool suite. Rooms were well cleaned and well stocked. This place is about 20 minutes from Zion. There is a restaurant down the road - Stage Coach Grill or something like that - that was decent. The town of Hurricane is a couple miles down the road with more options for dining - fast food and more casual. I would stay here again.

« Very long day by motorcycle and only hotel »

We were treated exceptionally well. Went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A recently new hotel that was overcoming past issues, and they told us about wanting to turn it around. They have apparently succeeded. good place to stay heading south/west out of Zion. Quiet and far enough away from the park crowd.

« Good value for money »

Clean, conveniently located close to a petrol station and supermarket (to fuel up for the hikes). Good breakfast which includes a waffle bar. Has an outdoor swimming pool which is open until nine or ten pm

    « Very nice stay »

I have stayed here before and liked it so we I came back. It was a very good stay again. The room was clean, the property is maintained, and it was a good value. The breakfast has improved since the last time I stayed here. They added scrambled eggs and they did a good job with them. When I visit Zions National Park again or am travelling through the area, I will stay here again.

    4
    « Good room, so-so breakfast »

The room was great and the staff very friendly and helpful, but the breakfast was a bit disappointing. Stale biscuits and bland, not very warm eggs made me wish I'd just gone for the cereal instead. Still, the hotel was great value for the price.

« Staff was not helpful. Building is nice. »

I booked a business event here and had a terrible experience with my group of 40 photographers. The hotel itself is updated, close to the park, and clean. It was the staff I wasn't impressed with. One member of the staff called one of my attendees at 3AM and asked him to wake up and go down to the office and re-check in because they messed up his reservation. Three in the morning?!?!?!? That was absurd! I was taking a nap and was awakened by staff blasting music on their phones while cleaning the room next door. It lasted 25 minutes. When they finally fell asleep again, I was later awakened by another staff member in the hall calling out to another staff member down the hall and using a lot of vulgarity, including the sentence "I'm gonna kill that (horrible profanity) idiot!" I fell asleep again after a while and the desk called me and said I had two reservations (their mistake) and told me to go down to the office to check in again. This was their mistake, so they should have printed off the paper and brought it up to me when the do not disturb sign was not outside. Breakfast one day was 35 minutes late, which caused us to miss a sunrise photo shoot. Overall, this is a great hotel that is not being managed well.

« Bad from start to finish »

I was very disappointed in the service we received. I had booked by telephone and the guest service representative misunderstood me and we ended up with a room that did not meet our needs. On top of that we were at a hotel that was booked with a school band, a lot of students, who kept us up through the night and very early in the morning. The were in the breakfast area in the morning barefoot, in pjs and unsupervised. It was a rough night and had I known all the problems I would have continued on my journey into the night to find a better place to stay.

    « I like it »

Overal our stay was good, nice and confortable, personal was helpfull. We would stay there again. The elevator was having troubles, however the hotel was on top very quick and they were fixing it right away... We didnt stay to see if it was fixed. But I like that they move really quick.

    « Great Service. »

My wife and I recently stopped here without reservations seeking a single night's stay. The desk clerk was friendly and very helpful. The building appears brand new and the newness carried right over into the room we received. Wonderful shower. In fact we wrote down the brand of the shower-head to have for our upcoming home bath remodel. The morning breakfast was super. If we hadn't already had reservations at a resort on the east side of Zion National Park, we would have extended our stay here.

    5
    « Grand Circle Trip »

It's a great hotel, about 40 minutes from Zion National park. Very clean, very quiet room, free parking, breakfast is very good. Recommend to stay in. By the way, in order to get parking space in visitor center of Zion, need to arrive there before 9:30am.

« Another Day on the Road »

I like to stay at the Best Western Plus Zion West Hotel in LaVerkin, Utah because I travel all over the state of Utah for my job working with all of the water operators with all the Drinking water systems providing technical assistance and LaVerkin is an excellent centralized area for Washington County. The employee at the desk (Robyn) is always very help full and friendly.

« They treated me like family »

Extremely gracious staff! Lovely service and rooms. Very clean exterior and interior. Only a twenty minute drive to Zions National Park. Pet friendly. Two breakfast buffet rooms, one for continental breakfast and one room for waffles!

    « Fantastic Hotel »

This is a very good hotel. It is brand new. While it is not very close to Zion National Park (ZNP) it is only a 20-25 minute ride. It is a very nice ride. My husband and i went during the off peak season so we did not hit much traffic. The price was good. There isn't much around the area of the hotel, but there is a Walmart Super center nearby. I would stay at this hotel again. The hotel was clean and the pictures that are on their website are the pictures of the room.

    4
« Clean and close to Zion Canyon »

The hotel was clean and comfortable and close to Zion Canyon. The staff were friendly, but some of them could dress a little more professionally. The breakfast offered was decent, but could have been better.

    5
    « Friendly & modern »

Good location for Zion NP. People running hotel very helpful and room great. Used the pool & laundry. Nothing to do in area although there is a supermarket over the road. The 20 minute drive to NP each day was no problem at all. Would stay here again. If there was a bar in the town it would be ideal but that's Utah I guess!

« An Excellent Choice to save money when visiting Zion »

We stayed two nights while visiting Zion. The rooms were well equipped if a bit small with clean confortable bedding. Check-in was smooth with our keys already printed at the desk (which also has free cookies). Despite the hotel being busy it was quiet at night. the hallways are narrow but people get around OK. The small elevator is fast so it's easy to get up and down from the third floor. The outdoor pool and hot tub are well kept but a little heavy on the chlorine. It's a nice place to visit after a day of hiking. The pool faces the main parking lot which is a bit odd but it's also facing west which no doubt prolongs the pool season (it dropped into the 30s F each night but got to low 80s during the afternoon). The breakfast buffer was quite good with omelettes that were surprisingly light and fresh, and decent sausage. The multiple waffle station is an added benefit. Some people complain about the separate rooms for breakfast but both have coffee service and it makes for plenty of room to spread out. Since most people are heading to Zion it can cause an 8-9 breakfast rush. The ride to Zion is a straight 18 mile shot and it's a lovely drive so don't be scared off by that. There is plenty of free parking in Springdale but from what I hear you may want to get an early start in the summer. In October, leaving before 10 am is fine. I will definitely stay there again if I return to Zion. One other benefit is there is a full service supermarket diagonally across the from the hotel. I don't think that is too common in southern Utah which is why we stocked up in SLC.

« Decent hotel in the middle of nowhere. »

The Best Western Plus, La Verkin was a surprise in that it was a modern, attractive hotel in a remote location. The service was good, and the staff friendly. The bathroom could have used a little more careful eye in the shower stall, but not too bad. The only big complaint I have is the internet service. It is hard to sign on and the process is not well explained anywhere in the room or check in materials. Once on, it tended to drop and finally became in accessible altogether. Still, the room was nice, well appointed and attractive enough to say, "go ahead and book there."

    5
« Great hotel for Zion »

Zion is about 20-25 mins away. Hurricane is close so you can get food and do other things. The location is a great compromise between zion and having food and other stuff around you. I also went up to bryce from here, the speed limit to go to bryce is 80 MPH so its not that bad of a drive.

    5
« Excellent hotel to stay for visit to Zion »

This was a perfect hotel for visiting Zion National Park. It is less than half an hour along a beautiful road to the park, but also close to the other end of the park - Kolob Canyon - which is stunning and not much visited although under-appreciated I think. The hotel is new so everything is clean and bright and the staff were extremely friendly. There are also some decent restaurants nearby in Hurricane.

    5
    « Great night's sleep »

Very clean, very friendly, quiet, and everything new! Sleep was incredible on the bed--need to find out what brand it was! The breakfast was also great and included setting me up for a great day of hiking in Zion.

    « Great Property »

was very nice close to Zion National Park great views of surrounding area. Staff were very nice easy in easy out, breakfast was good although they ran out of things on our 2nd day there milk, fruit, pastry's. But over all very nice will stay in the future.

« Standard Best Western Plus Hotel »

This is a standard Best Western Plus Hotel with 1) Clean, spacious room 2) Friendly staff 3) Decent breakfast options The La Verkin hotel is about 10 min drive from Hurricane city which has great lunch and dinner options. If you are visiting Zion National Park, this hotel is about 20 miles from the West entrance of the park. I would prefer to stay in Springdale but this is the next best option if accommodation in Springdale is not available.

    5
    « Great »

Very close to Zion National Park . Nice rooms good swimming pool and hot tub. Good laundry area. Easy check in and out. Will stay there again. Great parking lot .Lots of light at night in and around parking lot. Breakfast was good but they ran out of stuff which was to bad.

    5
« Great location and accomodations »

The drive to the park is scenic but not too far away and it's also near gas and groceries as well as several eating establishments if you don't want to eat at Springdale. The customer service was great and the free breakfasts include everything you could possibly want for early morning fueling up before hiking. The only weird thing was they had no butter both the days we were there.

    3
« Check in was good, Check out not so good »

We decided to try a best western traveling from Zion to Las Vegas. We don't often try this chain but figured we would give it a try on this trip. When we checked in, the hotel staff was very nice and the hotel looks brand new. We got into our room and were very pleased. Unfortunately, the elevator broke. I informed the staff that evening and was told that it would not be fixed until the following day after we were checking out. This presented a slight problem since we were on the second floor. The hotel staff never put up any signs on the 2nd and 3rd floor to notify the other guests and up on checkout, when my wife asked if there was any compensation for the inconvenience, she was told by the hotel staff:, "No, that's to be expected". I disagree. I have stayed in numerous hotels (~50 last year) and this is not a normal happening for a hotel. What I find more disconcerting is that lack of staff concern about the guest inconvenience. I have learned my lesson and will probably not stay in a best western for quite some time.

« It's a step up from the average hotel »

We couldn't get anywhere closer to Zion so booked through an online site at this BW plus. We were amazed to find we had a suite with a jacuzzi bath in the bedroom! Much above our usual standard of accommodation! Apart from that, and the pool which we didn't use because of the convenient location of our jacuzzi, this is a new, clean and comfortable place to stay. We thought the breakfast was an average motel breakfast. Half hour drive to Zion but also convenient for Kolob canyon which is well worth a visit.

Very clean, neat, well kept hotel. Our room was very large and comfortable. Breakfasts were good. Staff very nice and professional. Accepted our Reg Service Dogs happily and had a large area to take them out, we pick up after our's but noticed other guests didn't which is sad when a hotel has such a nice area for them.

« Clean, nice rooms, great breakfast »

This is a nice hotel, very comparable to the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn express. The staff is ultra-friendly, and the location is very close to Zion National park (about a 15 minute drive away). I would strongly suggest this for families or business travelers.

« Great Place to stay near Zion »

I loved the location of this hotel. Took us 20min to get to Zion and about 2 hours to get to Bryce Canyon and about 3 to get to the grand Canyon. The price was very good compared to other hotels and it included breakfast! Very clean, comfortable and friendly.

    « Very nice property! »

Located just west of Zion, the property was very nice. All the usual amenities. Hot breakfast, outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Fridge and microwave in room. Pillows of different densities on the bed was a nice touch. Got a great price through booking.com.

Great location, good price, very nice full breakfast with tons of dining area seating. (Many hotel/motel breakfast areas are tiny)..Rooms are large and clean. Nearby restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations. Rooms had microwave and fridge.. Mountain views from rooms is pretty cool too. Front desk folks as well as housekeeping folks were really friendly and welcoming.. We would stay here again in a heartbeat when we get back to Zion area..

« Great night at Best Western Plus Zion West Hotel »

Last evening after leaving the beauty of Zion National Park behind my husband and I checked into the Best Western Plus Zion West Hotel. We were pleased to find a "new" hotel. Everything about the place was special, a comfortable room with a king bed and lots of pillows, a nice sitting area with a chair just made for reading, easy access to TV stations and the Internet. Best part was the mountain view out of our window and watching the children ride their bicycles to school in the morning. Wish we had more time to spend in La Verkin, UT . If you too find yourself in La Verkin, UT, be sure to have dinner at the Stage Coach Grille. The helpful front desk folks recommended it. Great food, great ambiance, great wait staff, friendly owner!!!

« Hot tub with mountain view »

We liked the pool and hot tub setting--outdoors with a view of the surrounding countryside. Very attractive lobby and guest rooms. The location is easy to find and provides good access to Zion National Park--about 1/2 hour away.
