Best Western Plus Keene Hotel

You don't often see a budget motel franchise deliver on its promises and reputation, but the BW Plus in Keene, NY is one that does: fun and friendly staff, decent food (though needs some improvements), a heated pool, remarkably big and HIFI screen television, strong wifi, and comfortable mattresses. What more do you need as a traveler?

Great place to stay from a hike or family gathering. Rooms are clean. Lot of work being done to hotel. Newer courtyard area and updated lobby. Excellent restaurant and staff attached. Lots of attention to detail. Highly recommended as a place to gather.

One night stay, been here before when daughter was attending KSC. Well run, clean hotel, close to KSC and any other attractions. Lots of restaurants/bars/coffee shops downtown. Property is clean, room was well appointed and clean, bed was great, very comfortable.

I thought that by making a reservation well in advance meant a room would be set aside for me. It wasn't. We were told rooms are first come first serve. There were three rooms left. Was lucky to get one of them.

No problems with our stay - everyone was friendly and helpful - particularly liked the check-in questions referencing no smoking/no pets if choosing those rooms and quiet time from 10pm on - Also, the breakfast buffet was excellent.

We are elite Best Western members so we always try to pick a Best Western. This one was a little disappointing. The inside looks like it's been updated, but the front desk was slow, rooms weren't ready and only one elevator. Rooms were nice and clean but no full length mirror in our room. We were there for a wedding, so that was a little disappointing. Breakfast was good, great options and warm breakfast. Just make sure you get there by 10am as they lock it all up and turn off the juice machine. Overall it was an ok experience.

We didn't get the room that we reserved. The whole hotel smells like carpet fresh masking some other odor and our room really smelled musty and gross. There were a lot of weird looking men hovering about, particularly in the first floor hallway and a man yelled out to me inappropriately as I was walking into the side door of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was horrible! Wings, fries, and chili--not hard to prepare them so they are at least average. There was some woman (guest) at the front desk pleading her case why she hadn't paid for her room yet (sounded like she is renting long-term). Overall, felt like a sketchy place to stay. Won't be experiencing this hotel again.

I have never been so upset with a hotel that has made up so many lies. We had four rooms booked for a wedding. We had cancelled one room 5 days prior to our arrival. When my daughters went to check in for other three, the hotel had such an overwhelming sickening smell. When my daughters mentioned it to the young girl and the manager at check-in, they apologized and said that housekeeping went "a little crazy trying to cover up the smell". My daughters said they were not able to stay unfortunately which the manager said they completely understood and they would not be charged. When I called to ask for copies of the zero balance, the manager said maybe they should have used something "organic". I do have copies of the zero balances on all four rooms. Well, after 2 days and checking my credit card, I was charged for all 4 rooms, even the one that was cx'd prior. i called and asked about the charges and was told that the other manager said that we had to be charged. I called customer service and when they inquired about the charges to the hotel manager, they said that I called back to reinstate the room that I cancelled and that that rooms were used. And also that they have pictures. How do you take pictures of a horrible smell? One thing I do not stand for is someone who lies and it is evident that to cover up and get their money, they just continue to make up lies. Such a shame how they ruined the reputation of a great hotel chain by such lies!!!

I usually love staying here, I try to disregard the little things, but my room had trash in the buckets, hair in the tub, and the mattresses were springy, I used multiple pillows from both beds to try and get some sleep. A bug in the BR when leaving. I have never had these problems before with the hotel, it is my go too for the area. I love the breakfast, staff was great, but didn't offer much when I called and spoke about the trash, wondered if the room had been cleaned. Most was able to overlook, but springs in beds were bad, should have just requested another room. Not sure if my discount for AAA was applied. I will go back in the area, as I said normally it is great. I will ask to be moved if I see things like this again or stay elsewhere. Pool closed for cleaning.

Best stay best sleep awesome room nice and clean the kids loved the pool and the restaurant was located in the hotel was rated top 5 in the area. Was delicious. Coming again in a week and definitely stay there again.

Hotel was clean and had everything we were looking for. Beds and pillows were so comfortable that we had a wonderful sleep. Breakfast choices were amazing! Delicious as well. The young gentleman at the front desk was friendly, courteous, and charming. We couldn't have asked for better!

Room smelled to stale and moldy. Room was damp but it was clean and I needed a place to stay. The location is convenient and the hotel has had some renovating, but maybe a check on moisture or central dehumidifier would be a good idea for the rooms at the back/end.

room not ready when checking in at 4:00 PM, room smelled awful and water temperature so low I was freezing when I finished showering. Secure door to the outside was not secure - broken lock. AC did not respond to the thermostat. and not cheap - $250 a night in Keene?

This hotel was already very overpriced for the location and overall appearance/cleanliness. But when we arrived to find that there were also several homeless people living at the hotel and the strong smell of drugs on the premises... we will never stay at this hotel again.

The room was very nice. The staff went out of their way to accommodating. Any questions asked were answered promptly .It was a great place to relax. The breakfast was excellent. The variety was a welcome change.

I had not expected to stay in Keene , my plan was to overnight in Brattleboro however that hotel was a nightmare so I didn't and rode further into NH to this property.,,,Very glad I did,,this place was easy to find, very clean, rooms large and well equipped..Front desk staff was outstanding!! The Front Desk person training the new staff member should serve as an example on how to train with polite, positive, supportive professionalism She was a pleasure to watch as she helped guide the new staff member in the way correct to check in a guest.

We reserved this room for our wedding weeks ago, and preregistered that morning and when we went to check in they didn't even have us booked for a room and told us they were full. We love best western and not happy this occurred. They did end up finding a room even though they claimed they were full.

Location was not the best.. room was dark, and the bed clothes were damp, seemed they were not dried well, smelled good though. Overall, the hotel was dark and somewhere creepy. Tons of construction workers staying here. Did not get a family friendly vibe at all. Complained about the toilet and ended up fixing it myself. Will never stay at this property again.

My wife and I enjoyed a very comfortable well designed ADA room. Everything was clean, attractive, high quality and safe. The restaurant is great. The breakfast buffet is better than most. Enjoyed the pool and workout room. Nice large group facilities if you need to do something special. Parking is safe and convenient with many doors, so you can park very close to your room. Staff is plentiful, friendly and knowledgeable.

This hotel smells like marijuana. There was mold and ants in our room very dissatisfied would not ever stay here again. When I expressed the fact of what was wrong with our room to the person at the front desk, they did nothing don't waste your money staying here it was terrible.

We needed a place to stay--we were in between houses for 5 days. The value was great! Upon checking in the front desk clerk, Riley, was extremly accomodating to us and kind. He was patient in interacting with our children and helped set us up with a room that we could see the fireworks from. All interactions with him in particular were great. Breakfast had a vast selection of food items, which can be hard as a family of vegetarians. Lori who works the breakfast area most mornings was extremely hard working. She cleaned up all crumbs and wiped spills immediately. She is outstanding.

The facilities, guest rooms, and the room amenities are up-to-date and clean. The hotel provides tea and coffee all the time. The breakfast provides a verity type of drinks and foods. The staff is very friendly.

I stayed at Best western in Keene based off of great reviews online. Checking in the front desk person rolled their eyes and walked away after I asked if they made the keys for the correct time I paid for. Someone else had to check me in. We arrived into our room and it was about 98 degrees inside the room. The heat was on already inside with it 85 degrees outside. We immediately turned the ac on. In the bathroom their was mildew/mold all around the shower, there was open used soap in the sink and shower, crumbs on the floor, fridge had sticky orange food residue, Pennie's and dirt in the bureau, someone's hair in the bed, random loose cords on the floor next to the ac unit, dents in the wall, damaged bed, the sink was severely clogged in the bathroom. We stepped outside the sliding door (which is not supposed to lock and it did) there was a coffee pack of sugar, napkin and straw on the floor from the previous guests that never got picked up from cleaners and while trying to get back into our room with the front desk personnel our dogs got into the trash and ate the sugar packs. We had to take our dogs to the emergency room. This was the worst hotel experience we both have ever had. I would not recommend. Did I mention I paid over $300.

The staff was very friendly. Not my first time there. Nice breakfast. However this time the room was average. A bad smell in the room and i the bathroom a smell like someone smoked. Stain on the celilng and foucet brokent. Like i said not my first time at this location the other times it was better.

Youth teams were numerous which is all good however the noise levels with kids roaming the hallways until 3:30 in the morning was out of control. Made it almost impossible to sleep. In addition the 2 queen beds we requested were not available so had to take a King

We were immediately greeted by a friendly desk attendant upon our arrival. The hotel is very nice and we'll maintained. We had a basic King foom which was large, comfortable, and clean. Our stay was planned last minute as we needed a night away after a rough week, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife even engaged a few of them for several minutes when she went down for a late night snack. There was no part of our stay that we have any complaints about, it seems like it would be perfect for any kind of state business travel, or, like for us, a quick weekend out for a couple or family. We will be back.

Stayed for one night the end of September. Glad it was only one night! The room was poorly cleaned and a bit run downed. Bed was uncomfortable, sagged in the middle and was a low quality mattress. Biggest complaint for us was there was clearly families living in the hotel. Someone was folding their laundry at the breakfast area and kids were picked up by a school bus. When we asked about this at the front desk we were told they have “travelers services” meaning homeless families waiting to be placed in housing. I wish we knew this ahead of booking, we never would have stayed there. Never again!

Room was a little rough around the edges from deferred maintenance and had a funky smell likely due to prior guests smoking on the 2-foot deep balcony. The bed was comfortable in spite of the small square pillows. The breakfast was plentiful.

This was a run down hotel. It smelled like cigarettes everywhere and there were people living in some of the rooms. It was extremely overpriced. Staff was clueless and not helpful. I would not stay here unless you have no other options.

The Best Western in Keene was great. The staff was very helpful. The rooms and grounds are very well kept. We stayed there on our way to Bar Harbor and on our way home. I recommend it highly. It is Pet Friendly.

Check in was easy. Room clean, beds very comfy, linens clean and smelt great. I was upgraded as. Diamond member to an absolutely massive two queen room. Breakfast was very good. Lots of selection. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, clean accommodations, and a good location. On a motorcycle trip and decided to stay at this location twice in the same week when passing though Keene. Check in / check out was easy as well.

I've never stayed at a best Western before, but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were large and comfortable. Everything was clean. Loved that the room included a fridge and a microwave. Breakfast was abundant and had a lot of variety. Parking was ample. And the front desk staff was lovely. It's a few minute drive from Main St., and all the downtown shops and restaurants.

We stayed here when we moved my son into KSC. The hotel is clean, but the beds were uncomfortable. New beds would help. The breakfast was surprisingly good. DIY waffles and pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, muffins, cereal and fresh fruit.

I would describe our room as cleanISH, meaning not quite clean but not unclean. That is not acceptable, especially given the prices of the rooms. We were given a room in the "new wing", which has the most updated rooms. I'm not sure what the old wing rooms are like but our new wing room was not in the greatest condition. The breakfast was great and the pool was nice, but I was upset the restaurant is closed most days during the week (including when we were there). I specifically chose accomodations that had a restaurant. Overall I expect more from a Best Western, would not recommend this motel, and would not return if I were in the area again.

1. The room (253) smelled horrible. The smell was a combination of general very bad body odor, nasty damp, dirty foot smell, and long embedded cigarette smoke. 2. We tried immediately to change rooms, but the front desk wouldn't budge (they said the hotel was full, but clearly there were vacant rooms at that point). My young daughter has asthma and this stay was a challenge for her -- lots of coughing and sore throat. 3. We kept the outside sliding door open and the hallway door open to try to air out the room, but this hotel seems to cater to smokers -- there were multiple people outside smoking (some on their "balconies" (really just a narrow ledge) -- and the smoke wafted into our room, so that strategy backfired. 4. The WIFI was spotty at best, if we could connect at all. 5. A number of the outlets were not working which made things inconvenient. 6. I talked to the manager the next morning about all of this. She apologized, but did not comp or knock anything off the price. We paid a ridiculous $260 for a room that I would be reluctant to have my dog sleep in. 7. We travel to the area regularly, but will never be staying at this hotel again.

We reserved several rooms for family coming in from all over the states for a funeral. The staff at Best Western Keene, especially, Jen, was able to accommodate all our needs and made us remember what New England hospitality is.

Trip to visit family. We booked several rooms and requested a rollaway bed. Pool was best part of the stay. Room smelled of cigarettes when we entered and AC stopped working during our stay. Breakfast area was very clean. Hotel is very old and could use some attention.

Room was clean and cool. Cleaning staff did a great job. Just leave your towels and trash outside the door and they replace the towels and leave new trash bags. Tv, fridge and microwave worked great. Rooms were quiet so no loud noises were noticed. Food was plentiful for breakfast. Both hot and cold food was available and coffee was 24 hours.

The rooms were humid even though it was not humid outside. The hallways smelled of cigarettes, marijuana, and feces. There was mold in the shower. It was disgusting. We have been on a month long road trip and this was by far the worst place we have stayed at between Texas and NH.

The Best Western Plus, in Keene, New Hampshire, was a fabulous choice for my travel. The staff was supportive, and friendly, and the breakfast was one of the larger selections I have seen offered. Easily accessible from the highway, it offers a restaurant/bar, and indoor pool and workout space. I had had a choice of an upstairs, or downstairs, room. Selecting upstairs, the room was very comfortable, and I could select how warm, or cool, I wanted my room temperature to be. I also had the opportunity to select one of the parking spaces located in front of the hotel !

This hotel was surprisingly quiet for the vast amount of people staying there. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was nice and roomy. I liked that the rooms wrapped around a center courtyard with a pretty gazebo and grass area that you could easily access from the sliding door of the room. I got there too late for the pool, but it looked very well kept and nice! Breakfast was also yummy and had more options than the typical Best Western breakfast so that was nice. Loved the easy access for our dog too!

We stayed for 2 nights. We were met by a young man manning the front desk who was very kind to some other guest and to us. I chatted with a young man about his excellent customer service, and he really cared about his job and making people feel welcome. We got to our room and it was clean, and had a microwave and a fridge, which we always like. When I turned on the heat, the heater was very loud and vibrated. Fortunately, it worked just fine though. Excellent 24/7 coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar which is MUCH appreciated! The pool.. AMAZINGLY clean and just the right temp. Was very happy with this as I swim every chance I get. the breakfast staff were so helpful and kind. We were very impressed with the quality of the food, the choices and the service! the downside of our stay, was the other guests who were inconsiderate to others around them. dogs parking in a room near us , and inconsiderate guests who let their kids play outside in a courtyard at 7am and wake people up (the rooms have sliders and windows that overlook a courtyard). I will definitely stay here again, but I will ask for a room that is not near guests staying with animals and maybe a room that doesn't overlook the courtyard. I can deal with the noisy heater, but not noisy kids or animals barking. I cant say enough good things about the staff and the cleanliness of the pool and room!

Too many freeloaders staying here. When you pay decent money to stay some place, you kinda want to feel safe and secure. I was here because I am working 5 hours away from home. They put us right in the middle of them for our week stay and they caused nothing but aggravation the entire stay. Even provoking my dog in hopes of causing an issue, money hungry people that should not be allowed to be there.

Be more likely to room hotel guests that book together rooms requested. I called 3 weeks in advance and asked for a joining room. Hotel man that answered phone was extremely rude and told me I would get what I got. There was a man smoking weed placed between us and we were very uncomfortable. My room was right next to the stairwell and we were kept up by loud guest running up and down the stairs most of the night.

Desk clerk unprofessional - the smell of drugs in the hallways and desk clerk did nothing about it. Kids running up down the hall all day and making dogs bark. Trash outside sliders courtyard. Horrible

This hotel was being used as a primary residence for a few families (with pets at least in my area the second entrance. The first two nights the main sliding door was able to be opened by anyone- (I later found out that this was fixed but it was not supposed to be like that) I then found out that the other entrance at the opposite end of this hallway was left open with a stick, rocks etc. and then it wasn't able to be locked for most of my stay. The scent of the dogs of the families residing there (at the end of the hall) had is overpowering at times. Some nights I would be able to hear yelling angry male voices which made me concerned. I also heard noisy cars and screeching tires a few nights coming from the parking lot behind my room. The two ladies who worked at the desk during the afternoon/evening are very nice and understanding. I also was informed that the pool was not available the first night, and I came to check in on the status of it the second afternoon and I walked with my dog up to the desk to ask if it was open, and find out where it was. I was then going to take my dog for a walk outside. I was told where the pool was and then I turned to leave and said “Come on (dogs name)” and was stoped by the words from the older gentlemen who insulted my intelligence by saying “And just so you know… dogs are not allowed in the pool area.” Which keyed me into the type of people who have dogs who have taken their dog into there most likely. It would have been appreciated if he didn't assume I was going to take my dog into the pool area (it was even closed for maintenance). The price was a bit on the higher side for the quality advertised by Best Western I

The pool was very warm and clean. We felt safe using the facility couple times during our short stay. The breakfast area is clean as well. We have not traveled since the pandemic, but I felt safer at this hotel. The price was pretty good for the room we paid for. The room also felt like a little bigger than usual. The hotel is right at the highway area and bigger stores, so it was convinient.

Booked a one night stay the morning of in order to see a hospitalized relative. Great welcome and friendly staff. Asked for late check out which was available for one hour at no charge and offered additional time for 20 per hour. Found out the pool did not have covid restricted hours and appointment which allowed us the opportunity to use the pool. If you are looking for a clean, friendly place with good beds and good breakfast, give them a try. we will be back when next in the area

To start our Non smoking room reeked of smoke. Our TV remote would not turn on the tv and after help from the front desk we were pretty much told "oh well" Restaurant was good food, service was ok. everyone was friendly even though they were clearly short staffed, however we definitely felt out of place and a nuisance to them as "out of towners" and not regulars.

Loved it!! Very classy and beautifully clean! I felt safe and cared for, plus the breakfast was delicious! Gorgeous property and very caring staff! The concierge stock is great and the gentleman at check in was the nicest!

Clean room, friendly staff, good hot breakfast. What more can you ask in a hotel stay? My only caveat is that the walls are rather thin, so sounds from adjacent rooms can be heard fairly easily. Overall, a pleasant stay.

2nd visit here and although the hotel is a bit older it is always clean. Breakfast was a nice variety including a pancake machine! staff is always very friendly and cleaning people out an about daily and un the lobby as well. Worth the money. ty will be back again. oh and beds and pillows so comfy.

My family and I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Keene, NH while we were in town to tour Keene State College with our daughter. We were upgraded to a Deluxe room and it was huge! We had plenty of space and were very comfortable with the room. My only complaint is that the Bed linens were a little worn and thin. I would have liked to have an extra blanket available.

Place was immaculate, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. I did have a problem connecting to the internet but that may have been my own lack of being tech savvy so I wouldn't hold it against the facility.

We were in town for a short stay to see family and wanted a nice place to crash at the end of the day. This was the perfect spot! Our room was huge! We had a king sized bed and even a small couch to hang out on (I think the couch pulls out to a twin bed). The bathroom was in good condition too. The buffet breakfast was great, be sure to check the fridge for fresh blueberries and whipped cream for the waffles and pancakes! The location was very convenient and the property was well maintained and clean. The parking lot was huge so finding a spot was never a problem. There is a pool, and lots of families with small kids were using it. Overall, great stay, would book again!

The hotel was beautiful, breakfast was great. Wifi was extremely slow and I don't think the cost matched the stay. I pre-registered prior to arrival and my room was not cleaned by 3pm. I also requested extra towels, blankets, and pillows. None were there. They also charge an extra 20 for an out of state incense.

Postive: The room was very clean and quiet. The Breakfast was excellent. We stayed on the second floor courtyard side. No noise from the courtyard. Con: No shampoo or tissues. Water pressure poor and no hand held shower head. I should have brought my own pillow from home. The hotel's was too soft. Strange: We were assigned to another Guests' room. Thank goodness they had the safety bar across the door or we would have barged in which would be both embarrassing and potentially dangerous. NOT GOOD AT ALL.

The carpets were damp, the shower didn't drain, the toilet broke repeatedly, the internet was not secure and wouldn't let us connect, the pool had CHUNKS of hair in it and did not smell of chlorine. Saw suspicious activity from other guests. Hotel is pet friendly which was great but it SMELLED pet friendly. The restaurant was closed the entire time we were there. The breakfast was great though!

Hospitality was great. People at front desk were professional and polite. Breakfast was awesome. Had everything you could want and woman working was very friendly and helpful. Overall I would come back again

Front desk service the slowest I have EVER experienced. Check in was constantly interrupted by staff person taking phone calls, both personal & business. Later when I called front desk to request that they send up a replacement remote for the tv (missing from room) I was told “ we can't send one up, but you can come down here and get one”…. Overall poor customer service

My family and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend - thinking this would have been a "4 star hotel" .. absolutely NOT. We arrived past check in time, and still had to wait about 20 minutes to check in. After an entire day of traveling this was the last thing we needed! My in laws had a faulty room key to their room, so they had to wait another 20 minutes to get that figured out! To our surprise the following morning, we were told no housekeeping. Which was fine.. we can understand everyone is short staffed. We requested extra towels for our 4 night stay and were told by the front desk, "We would get put on the list".... I politely found a housemaid, asked if I could have some fresh towels to shower that morning and she was so rude to me then told me to call the front desk.. as she had a cart full of fresh towels! We also had friends stay at the same hotel who also experienced the same issue. They arrived around 6pm and were told their room was not ready... Just an awful experience! I can sympathize with businesses struggling with help - but do not overbook guests if you cannot handle it!

Convenient place to stay AND it has a very nice casual restaurant attached to it. My room was spacious with good TV and internet and enough connections for electronics. Room was clean except for #3 below. I had three complaints which is the reason for only 4 stars 1) Checkin was very slow 2) Shampoo etc bottles are very small and made of stiff plastic so it was hard to squeeze anything out of them. Fortunately I'd brought my own shampoo and lotion. 3) There was a spot on the inside of the shower curtain which grossed me out Notwithstanding the above I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

We spent a couple of nights bookending my son's drop-off at camp. The room and amenities were exactly as promised and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff were warmly welcomed. BW+ Keene is clearly prioritizing the safety and comfort of their guests during this difficult time for the industry. The hotel isn't much to look at from the outside, but the room and common areas were kept meticulous and the breakfast service was probably the best I've experienced in this hotel class. Kudos to the woman running that operation during our stay. She was vigilant about cleanliness, as well as kind and personable, and made breakfast a thoroughly pleasant experience. My kids enjoyed the pool and fitness room (which was nicely appointed) and I was impressed by the fact that, although clearly busy, the hotel seemed peaceful and quiet. We'll be back for camp pick-up and there is no doubt where we'll stay.

The front desk was friendly, but, despite using the online check-in, rooms were not ready. There was no housekeeping done at all during a 5-day stay. The public areas show recent remodeling and are very attractive, but the guest rooms need some attention - particularly the bathrooms. The biggest problem was the door lock. I notified the front desk the day of arrival that opening and closing the door was very difficult and that something seemed to be sticking. They said that they would have maintenance check it out. The problem increased until the fourth day of my stay when I found myself unable to get out of the room. The front desk could open the door from the corridor with a pass key, but I couldn't open it from the inside. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to have any available rooms, so I was a prisoner unless someone at the front desk was available. This is dangerous!

No real complaints. Everything was as expected for a property at this price point. They were back to a full breakfast buffet with ample options and a large and spread out seating area. Room was clean upon arrival. Pool reasonably sized, though a bit cold. WiFi was stable and of good speed. Location is adjacent to a heavily traveled state road but noise was not an issue. Only negatives - > Didn't really affect the stay, but why do the physical plant of budget hotels all seem depressed (chipped paint, worn carpets, etc.)? > Realize this is happening across all hotels, but ending daily housekeeping is unpleasant. Understand that not REPLACING the linens everyday is environmentally responsible, but not making the beds, removing the trash, and tidying up rather removes a key feature of what makes staying at a hotel special.

Clean with a dependable staff. Excellent choice of foods/dishes to choose from. Staff at the front desk was knew what they were doing, and they friendly and professional at the same time. I would and have recommended this hotel to everybody.

We had some issues this trip.After asking for towels,other supplies before going out for the day,we got back at 9 pm to find no clean towels or the items I'd requested.So I had to call again and we did get our requested items.We also asked for a specific room when booking this stay back in May 2021.We did not get what we requested.As a many time repeat customer I don't see why this is a problem.There was a dog barking across the hall somewhere,it finally stopped but was annoying.The garbage can at end of hall was overflowing ,not a good sight.

I am a Veteran and a Medic. I stayed at the BW for a few reasons. 1. An amazing Military discount. 2. From the reservation phone call to the checking out they were very pleasant. 3. The pet “goody bag” was very cute. 4. Even when there was a leak from the room above me the staff changed my room& even helped to move my stuff. As a small business owner it is good to know that there are still hotels that treat people like people and not just a number.

Upon arrival at 2.30 a.m., I was so happy to see the cleaned/sanitized sticker taped to the door!! How disappointed I was when I walked into the bathroom.......black mold/mildew build-up caked all around in the sink, shower and toilet, nasty, brown soap scum all built up in the tub and congealed urine caked up on the toilet and urine on both sides of the toilet base! There was hair all around, as well! That bathroom had not been cleaned in AGES!!! I went and bought cleaner and cleaned it myself. If they consider that clean, then I knew their “cleaning” it for me would be a joke. We checked in early Monday morning. There was no room service whatsoever! We had to ask for them to come and empty our trash and for new towels/washcloths on Wednesday. Other than that, that was all the room service we had received by the time we checked out on Friday morning. The doors and walls were dirty, as well. For the price paid for this room, I would expect at least cleanliness.

The septic backed up into our room, we had to beg for another room to clean up in after we unknowing walked through it to answer the door, ruined clothes that were in the bathroom, and they gave us 50% of our room rate back for the night. Not impressed with Corporate and management.

Staff were very rude. Staff would not accept my discount as agreed up during reservation made directly with specific hotel. Staff states government rate only applies to police, fire and post office. This is not what I was told on phone. Nor is it what appears on the website. Bathroom light fixture full of bugs. Shower drained slow and caulking had mold. Beer opener installed on bathroom wall- not classy at all. Hallways smelled like cigarette smoke and rooms smelled musty.

We were billed twice for the same room. In calling the hotel we have been given the run around about how they didn't double charge, yet the charge is still on my credit card bill. Still hasn't been resolved.

Not happy here, I walked in and the first thing I noticed was the plastic covid barrier that seemed more like a protection from customer communication in general. In was hard plastic from desk to ceiling with a very tiny hole to slide your card and paperwork through. I had never seen something so overbearing, it was as if they were afraid of their own customers talking to them. I've been staying at a few hotels this past year and most have a plastic barrier that simply blocks from a few inches above the desk to just above the head. This was almost as if they knew of some sort of issue with the hotel. Next was the paperwork, I had to sign off and initial special sections on obeying "quiet-time", fee's for violating smoking, and fee's for violating animal policies. The quiet time thing was a knew one to me as i've never been to a hotel where this was such an issue that I would have to sign a contract with the hotel along with other fee's upon check in and really gave me a bad taste. I asked about the quiet time and I was told that this was to ensure that every would respect each other at the hotel. I mentioned I had never signed anything like that at a hotel before and she didn't seem to really say anything or respond much to me. I asked her if there was an issue with people making noise at the hotel and she said no. Then after I signed I was given another list of things the hotel wouldn't provide during covid such as maid service, which is not listed anywhere on the site or is anything provided until after I have fully checked in. Also they dont want you to talk to them on checkout either, just do it on your phone as they dont want to be bothered interacting with guests. Again I havent seem this during covid at any of the nicer chains. Next was room #1, so I had already felt uncomfortable about the place based on the staff being so removed from the customer during check in and the paperwork and my obligations, and their lack of obligations. The room was right next to the loudest ice maker i have ever heard (so much for the noise control), but just as I turned to the room it was already unlocked and held open with the door security bolt. So I turned right around and went down for another room. Room # 2 was sealed, but upon opening was very dusty and there is a spider living in the bathtub along with the back of the bathroom door towel hanger ripped off the wall. I really don't like it at all here and based on my experiences I want to leave now. Unfortunately I'm stuck here another night but without hesitation would never return. The atmosphere, lack of care for the customer, the strange set of extra signatures on normal hotel rules and regulations is very excessive and I don't feel welcome, safe, or happy to be here. Will be relieved when this trip is over.

We were in Keene overnight. The hotel is older but generally well maintained. I had reserved a king room but received two queens instead. The room door had a “clean seal” on it. The bathroom was small with an ante area. The exhaust fan did not work. Also the pull up knob for the shower did not fully stop the flow of water into the tub. I reported both items to the main desk. There is a restaurant on site which seemed very busy. We did not use the pool so I can't comment. On Saturday and Sunday there is a hot breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, muffins and yogurt. The attendant was very polite. Parking is free and safe. Within a mile, there are several shopping plazas. Downtown Keene is very walkable with several shops and restaurants. A special thanks to Elsi who greeted us warmly on arrival, and answered our questions. The hotel was clean, with COVID protocols in place.

Check in time is 2pm. One of our rooms wasn't ready u til 630pm. They gave my room to the other party which was in the other room and then switched them without cleaning my room. When we asked for a late check out they told us anytime after 12pm we would be charged. Well then why not refund us for the time you wouldn't let us in that we paid for??? And pretty sure the FD gal overcharged us for our sodas/Gatorade's and never entered it into the system. Btw she priced them $48. We gave her cash. Highly disappointed with the FD performance or lack of rather.

My boyfriend and I went to the Best Western for a vacation. The hotel was very clean and so was the pool! It was so nice to go into the pool. The check in was very fast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If your looking for a place to get away and not have to worry about a thing I would suggest coming to Best Western you will not be disappointed.

At first the room looked typical and nice, but one walk into the bathroom and was immediately turned off. Giant black hair sitting on the toilet seat. Peeked into the shower to see the same, more black hair. The shampoo/conditioner bottles only had half the product left in them and had clearly been used already. Terrified of using the towels after the first one I grabbed had black mascara smudges all over it.

My wife and I travel to New Hampshire a few times a year to visit family. We have been regular customers of the Best Western Keene Hotel since 2014. We have never had a problem at the hotel. It is always clean, staff are friendly and helpful and the Continental Breakfast is always great. Even during these times of Covid, we felt safe staying at this location.

Was happy with my stay however the bathroom light stopped working and since we got back to the room late it was too late to report it so we we were forced to use the bathroom in the dark and were unable to shower before we left in the morning.

This is our go to hotel when staying in Keene. We have stayed here for the weekend on at least three different occasions to visit friends nearby. This time, because of COVID-19, the experience was a bit different. If you plan on staying more than one night, you should be aware that because of COVID-19 protocols, housekeeping only cleans the room after your departure. We had to leave trash in front of the door for pick-up as well as dirty towels. If you need anything (we needed more towels) the front desk will deliver it to your door. Room was spotless and clean on our arrival, but by the end of our three night stay, both the tub and sink looked like they had been through the mill, because both were slow draining. We didn't call it in because it eventually drained and we weren't sure if someone would be able to come in to fix it, given housekeeping couldn't enter the room. So we sucked it up until our departure. We were here over the Columbus Day weekend, and you had to stand in line (6-feet apart)for the breakfast buffet and give your order to the person running it, no self-serve. Tables were socially distanced. On the Saturday morning, they were quick about clearing off and sanitizing tables. Not so much on Sunday, perhaps because it was more crowded. Also be aware that the breakfast buffet is only on Saturday and Sunday, which we didn't realize until we went to get breakfast Monday morning. I don't know if this is typical or a change due to COVID-19. On previous trips we always departed on the Sunday. We were able to get free coffee and juice in the lobby, and a grab and go bag that contained a pre-packaged muffin, Nutri-Grain bar, apple and bottle of water. The BIG plus for us is that the hotel is pet friendly (you will be charged an extra $20 a night). This was our first visit to the property with our dog. A nice touch when we checked was that we were given a goodie bag for our dog which contained treats, a roll of waste disposal bags, and a wee-wee pad. One other thing you should be aware of, the restaurant/bar on the premises is closed, even though the email reservation we received indicated it was open. All in all, we had a good stay, but it was very different from previous stays in the past due to COVID. I write all of this not to complain, but so that people visiting during the pandemic will know what to expect. (The hotel was completely sold-out on the Saturday night, as some of our friends who hadn't made a reservation found out.) We like the location, close to Downtown Keene, stores, shopping. There's a Walmart and Market Basket nearby. We would stay here again. Hopefully on our next visit, the pandemic will be a thing of the past!

We were looking for a reasonable rate at a casual hotel. We were just spending the night and then seeing our granddaughter off for her first day of kindergarten. The hotel was comfortable and clean. There is an indoor pool that we did not use. Overall a good experience.

Most importantly, the side entry door locks were missing (taken out?!) and some rooms down our hallway were left ajar. We were told there was a work order to fix this security issue but it appeared it was a long standing issue. Anyone might have walked into the building and put us all at risk!! Secondly, certain items which were promised on the website, i.e. hair dryer, coffee set up, full breakfast, restaurant and lounge were not available to us - oddly, there was an iron though!!! Travelers have come to rely on certain creature comforts/amenities but these were not provided. Instead of a breakfast buffet we were handed a paper bag containing a store-bought blueberry muffin about the size of a golf ball, an energy bar, juice and a napkin. We were told all the coffee machines at the property were broken. The manager might have tried harder for the sake of their guests. We paid $117 for 1 night stay. Seems like some businesses still want to play the COVID-19 card as an excuse for lack of services, however there were several restaurants in Keene who were serving customers with or without masks, both indoors and outdoors.

Stayed very briefly, but it was extremely clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I loved my king room is was beautiful and well maintained. I loved that it had a refrigerator. I've stayed in other hotels where they didn't even offer one and it was more a night. The price was extremely reasonable. Overall great hotel.

I enjoyed my stay at The Best Western Plus in Keene. The rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel is older but seems to have been well kept. They have a large pool and a nice fitness center. The breakfast is very good and they have a large selection of hot and cold food offerings. I feel that this is the best value in Keene. I also ate at the Willie Mac's restaurant attached to the hotel. Really enjoyed the fish tacos. Was disappointed that I couldn't bill it to my room so had to pay separately. They also have an excellent happy hour at the restaurant.

The only thing we liked was the bed, it was comfy. Stay away unless you like loud noises and families partying in their rooms til 1am. We were also given connected room and the door was thin as well as the walls. The heat in the room was noisy. Not what I expect from a Best Western, will not return this this location.

The rooms were roomy and very clean. Although we did not use the restaurant onsite, it was nice to have that option. The breakfast was an actual breakfast with lots of different options. Would definitely stay again.

I love staying with the Best Western Plus in Keene. It's close to the college which is why I stay there. I always have a great breakfast to start my day off. The location is close to route 9 but you don't hear any traffic.

This hotel exceeded my expectations to the degree that it seem to appear modern with a fresh look, the pool was warm, the staff friendly, and the breakfast was impeccable! There were so many options to choose from and the area in the breakfast lounge remained cleaned and stocked. The only reason I didn't make it 5 stars was due to the fact that there were candy wrappers in the pull out sofa and when I flipped the comforter when going to bed, I noticed blood spots which was kinda gross.

Very pleasant stay. Clean updated rooms, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast. My only complaint was the bathroom was too small. The door nearly touched the toilet when closing so it was a tight fit for me to bathe my two toddlers.

We made a last minute decision to get away for the night. We have stayed here before and enjoyed the lounge, Willie Mac's, and decided to make a night of it. Check in was a quick process. But they put us in the furthest section of the hotel, and there wasn't an elevator to our floor, only stairs. However, it was so quiet, we didnt hear any other guest traffic. The rooms must have been updated since our last visit, because it was beautifully done. My only complaint is the mattress was so hard, I could sleep.

The staff at the hotel was extremely nice and the housekeeping always did an excellent job. The breakfast that was provided was delicious.I would definitely reccoment this hotel to my friends and family!

I needed to stay at this hotel to get to my numerous medical appointments and I didn't know that I should have said I was a large woman in a wheel chair alone because they put my room literyon the other end of the building and I couldn't get anywhere alone ...not to have breakfast not to the pool not to get outside...not to get to the coffee tea and water or ice....I was in a hanuroom but my wheel chair couldn't fit it the room barely got in to a bed because I can't walk so I need to pull right up to the bed to get in ....the shower had a wheel in shower but didn't drain so it flodded and I couldn't use the phone in the bathroom to call for help because it doesn't work so I had to risk falling to leave the bathroom and call for towels ...I just didn't like that at all...I not once felt safe and that's not how hotels have ever made me feel before.also the shower had red residue all around it witch was concerning.

Rooms are remodeled but never fixed old problems. Room 203 thermostat didnt work neither did controls on the unit. So either full heat or nothing. Lighting in the room is very very dull . Tub is in need of repair.

Heater wouldn't shut off or turn down, bed and pillows were awful! Cramped space, people partying and no help from staff to get them to be quiet. We left in the middle of the night in bad weather just to get out of there!

My husband and I had to travel to Keene for a family emergency. We travel with our 2 small dogs. This hotel was very convenient to where we needed to be, is pet friendly (ample area to walk dogs), clean, reasonably priced, free expanded continental breakfast, beautiful exercise room and indoor pool, many restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only draw back—could be difficult to make a left turn onto main road due to a rotary right on that corner. Usually we had to turn right and go down a bit and make a U turn.

The shower hadn't been cleaned as it still had other people's hair in it. The pool room was freezing although the pool was warm. Staff were friendly enough especially thean and woman on the weekend but overall not worth the money.

I have stayed at this hotel for business , so when I was in the area for vacation I decided to stay here. Everything was wonderful from the ease of check in/out to the room and the friendliness of the staff!

We used to live in the area and went back for the holiday weekend. We were impressed with how great the lobby, hallways and rooms looked. Very comfortable and enjoyable. Although it seemed high priced for us it was comparable for the area for the season.

Had our Sons wedding in Royalston MA. Over this past weekend. Due to sever weather road closures and last minute cancellation of an Air BNB due to power outage and tree damage booked this hotel and glad we did. Great location, really nice staff with good sized clean rooms and a good breakfast (included). Really relieved a lot of stress during an already stressful weekend. Rates were a bit high but to be expected as hotel was in a peak foliage area. Would stay again in a heart beat if back in the area. Thanks

Good location in Keene- bonus restaurant attached so not having to leave the hotel was great- very good breakfast and coffee. Room was good- bathroom a bit dated and small but not a deal breaker. Overall good experience.

It's adequate for a nights stay if you don't have a lot of choices. I like the up front expectation setting, asking guests to respect quiet time from 10 PM to 7 AM. Probable value of the room, $90-100/ night.

Things here are great and comizing to the customers . Every one is very helpful we had a great stay here .the staff is so great . The breakfast is great food the one that is the head of breakfast is a great person . She does here job well . She gets 5 stars. This is our 2time there we will come back next year.it is book.

My recent visit was remarkably better than the last. I have embarrassing photos of my last room. Was never sent requested survey for that stay and my email to management was left unanswered. I was overcharged and didn't receive reward credits.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. Best Western Plus in Keene was up to par and was very helpful. Would stay again. Breakfast was included ad was great. Didn't use the pool or exercise equipment but it looked nice and clean.

This Best Western allowed me to park my motorcycle close to the entrance under cover. They provided me a cleaning rag for the motorcycle. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. I used to stay at Hampton Inns but they forced me to park my expensive touring motorcycle in the dark parking lot. I found this issue at the Hampton Inn in Bennington VT and Sayre PA. The Bennington VT said they had 10 motorcycles jammed under the canopy - which would be rarity if not far fetched. The Sayre Hampton told me someone bumped into a motorcycle and knocked it over - also sounds far fetched and near impossible. I used to be diamond level at the Hilton chain. Best Western will be my new go to hotel chain.

Clean, very happy to accommodate pet owners, and a convenient location. I especially like the outside access via sliding glass doors; a nice convenience if you're traveling with dogs. I'd definitely stay there again.

Not having stayed with Best Western for over 15 years, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was in very good condition, the room was more than adequate, the breakfast was great, and the staff was great at answering questions and addressing any issue

This hotel was a very nice surprise. Reasonably price with very clean room, a very comfortable bed, very quiet(not crowded), very nice shower and very good room amenities. We did not partake breakfast, but looked like every other hotel,s. Staff was friendly and accommodating.u

I have stayed at this hotel for a week at a time for the past five years. It's been renovated, and the lobby/breakfast area are lovely. The room is adequate size for the price, and well outfitted. The desk staff and breakfast room staff are friendly and competent. Breakfast has a reasonable number of options, and is quite adequate for a free breakfast at a lower tier hotel. One nice add-on - the 24-hour free coffee and tea setup had many types of Bigelow teas, including several herbal teas. However, I gave this hotel 3 stars, and may or may not return because I lacked an important amenity on the fourth morning of my stay - hot water. This made for a most invigorating shower. I informed the front desk, and the problem was fixed when I returned in the evening. However, the staff member suggested that I might receive a partial rebate on my room rate. That was not done. I didn't expect a lot, but having no hot water in the morning when you don't have time to wait around for a solution is a serious inconvenience and a breach of the agreement between the hotel and the room guest.

Nice clean hotel pet friendly with continental breakfast daily. Indoor pool was clean & well kept. Area was nice for shopping & dining out. Visited covered bridges & hiked at state gorge park with our dog.

Very pleasant hotel, we stayed 2 nights. Reasonably priced, employees very helpful and nice, room was very clean, breakfast was one of the best we have had on our travels. We didn't eat at their restaurant because we wanted to go into town to exxplore the sites. We loved downtown Keene, every quant New England. We would stay at the Best Western again ,

Staff friendly - especially Morgan at the front desk who was more than accommodating. Room, as requested, was in a quiet area and was of reasonable size, clean, well appointed. Bathroom toiletries were good quality and enough towels provided. Indoor pool area is large as is the pool - when considering what is generally found at many hotels. Breakfast area seemed to have enough tables to accommodate the guests and was well-maintained. Most "extras" are individually packaged; assume for sanitation purposes. On the improvement side: public tile areas on the first floor need to be kept clean. Unsightly dirt spots are obvious. Breakfast was exactly the same (OK, the only change was canned pears instead of cantaloupe) and the main features were sausage links, sausage patties, microwave cheese omelets and microwave "fried" eggs. Not enough though to keep us from not returning when again in the Keene area.

The hotel was clean, the staff terrific, the breakfast good, and the location was perfect. The lounge at the hotel was fun and prices reasonable. They had a themed night that was a lot of fun and the bartenders were great. Would stay there anytime we would be in the area.

Stayed for business. Place is well maintained with a very friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Beds were comfortable and overall it is a quiet hotel. Breakfast quality was good and they kept it full and clean. Fitness center was better than some of the much more expensive hotels i have stayed in.

We asked to have our room cleaned every day. They didn't even go into the room one day. The TV was broken for 3 days (as of now) even though we repeatedly requested to have it fixed. One time they just left the hotel book open to the channels as if we couldn't figure out which channel to press. OMG. The TV had to be unplugged to turn off, and after that it would not turn on. We are in the nicest room in the hotel, yet we are treated poorly. We left out the decaffeinated coffees with a not to please give us caffeinated coffee. Guess what? They took the note but not didn't give us any coffee. We are on a room far from the "24 hour" weak coffee in the lobby, otherwise, we would not care.

Excellent staff, excellent breakfast, brand new Decour in their rooms and the entire hotel was very clean, the fitness room was top notch. We had issues with Priceline and they canceled both of my rooms instead of one, but the staff at the front desk of the best western bent over backwards to help us and provide us with rooms and made us as comfortable as possible. They were just great!

Hotel was clean. Front desk helpful and friendly. Free breakfast was good. Would recommend. Onsite restaurant was closed during our visit but several restaurants within a short drive or walk. Pool was nice but ice cold.

Room was very pleasant, well decorated and extremely clean. Breakfast was excellent with a large selection of items. Hotel staff is very cordial and helpful. Will definitely return on our next trip to New Hampshire.

My wife and I spent a night here and found it to be an excellent hotel. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The clerks at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The General Manager, Dan Dodge, went out of his way trying to help me find a telephone number for a relative in the area. With his assistance I was able to make contact with my relative.

Excellent service and clean rooms Staff was excellent and very friendly. I felt at home and would return in a minute to this hotel . Just a very pleasant stay and very convince to what I needed to do. Daughter is going to college there (Graduate school) and will be using this hotel all the time

Found this place while passing through. The front desk was extremely friendly and took great care of getting us checked in. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, and our room even had a small sofa bed with the two queens. We would stay here again.

My wife and I last stayed here 21 months ago. The place is still as great as before. We had to be out of our home for two days and needed a place that could take our two Golden Retrievers. The staff is great. The decorations are appealing. The free breakfast has a very wide range of options, not to be missed. Our room had a very evocative print of a local trail.

Staff was very nice. Nice Restaurant & bar attached which is convenient. Lots of parking. Beautiful lobby, very welcoming. Convenient location. Close to College. Easy access to main roads, businesses & restaurants.

Heroin junkies living in facility passing out by our cars, leaving baby unattended in room, then staff waking individual to go back into the room, construction had hallways cluttered and cleaners rushing last minute to clean rooms which felt like they took shortcuts.

Mediocre hotel. Staff makes up for shortcomings. Positives: Has a full Restaurant on site. Negatives: a little beat and not spic and span. Currently going through some renovations, so it may improve. However, contractors roaming through halls after business hours a little odd.

It's a low price hotel, mostly everything is old but ok to sleep, take a shower and keep going to your road trip. Free parking is available , main entrance doors are automatically opens Easy access to elevator with suitcases Hotel has free breakfast, front desk person was very nice Room has microwave, fridge, TV, very simple and little coffee machine, iron and iron board, Work station desk is available if you need to work and finish your emails for business Bed is ok pillows are ok at least you can sleep Bath room is not fancy regular. Shower water pressure is ok Hotel price is. It expensive but also it depends where you buy it from

Stayed overnight in Keene at the Best Western while visiting our Keene State student. Would highly recommend the Best Western in Keene. Very good accommodations, clean, quiet, pets welcome, very nice staff and great complimentary breakfast. Very good value for the money. Have also stayed previously at the Days Inn and Holiday Inn Express. They are also good, this was a little bit better. Only shortcoming was hot water ran out during shower. Would stay at BW Keene again.

My husband and I came for a Gender reveal party and we stayed for 1 night. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was great, had a lot of options. We will definitely. The place to stay when we come to Keene

Second time we've stayed here and always get a great experience at a great value. Good room. Nice pool with great temp. Great comp breakfast. Nighttime coffee, cocoa, tea, cookies. Nice staff. Lots nearby. Will be back.

Staying at the Best Western Plus in Keene in February carried a somewhat good / somewhat no so good experiences. First the good: - Excellent size indoor heated pool. Number one reason why I picked this hotel. - Active attached restaurant bar but nothing ‘rowdy'. - Clean rooms - Staff was pleasant - Breakfast was of Best Western style but here the kitchen staff worked hard to keep the area clean as well as wipe down places where parents let their sick kids roam over the food areas. - Nice lobby and rooms were of average size. - Assume off season as it was a great value Not so good: - Wifi was very spotty. Numerous times you had to reconnect your devices. - Room location is extremely critical. Windows are paper thin. If you are facing the front / lobby side you will be inundated with the 5:00 am garbage truck pickup. And if it snowed, the all morning plow going through the parking lot. You are also facing a heavily traveled state road where by inbound truck traffic is braking hard as they head towards a round-about. Bring the earplugs just in case you're a light sleeper, you'll need them. If you can get a room away from the front side, you'll enjoy your stay.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. Location is convenient to downtown. We found the place rather noisy. You could hear every conversation going down the hall. Not sure why the hall needed vacuuming at 10:00pm. We stayed on a Saturday night when the price is about $40 more than other nights. It seemed a bit much then to be asked to pay a $5 cover charge to get in the bar because they had a band.

I frequently stay at Best Western Hotels all around the country. Some in major cities and some in rural areas. I must say, this Keene New Hampshire hotel in rural but convenient location, bordering 2 states, is one of the best I've stayed at. Plenty of parking, professional staff, well newly renovated rooms and common areas. I highly recommend staying at this fine hotel.

Very well appointed hotel lobby and rooms. The desk clerks and staff are among the nicest and accommodating I've met. The rooms are exceptionally clean! That's the single most important thing in any hotel stay. The king bed was as comfortable as my own and the thick lush comforter was just perfect. All the linens were super white and smelled crisp and fresh. The bathroom was spotless! The a/c heat units performed very well after the filters were removed. They were the only thing that could use some Maintance. Every hotel in the world could use help in that respect. The hotel restaurant/bar was really nice and inviting. I met the owner of the bar while having dinner. She was one of the nicest laid-back people I've met in years. Being from Florida I had tons of questions for her about the area and weather here. Even in a busy bar never once did she give me the impression she had something more important to do rather than making sure I was happy and welcomed to the area. The hotels breakfast room was excellent and stocked with just about every breakfast item you'd ever want. 24hr fresh coffee and decaf, cookies and fruit by the front desk and a 24 he. Snack area with tons of items for purchase. The hotel management was top-notch and also made me feel valued and welcome. I would stay in this hotel again and again! Oh and the airfreshing system in the hallways was fantastic. I hadn't seen that before in my travels.

This is a very nice hotel. My room was clean and comfortable. The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. WiFi and TV worked great. Heater was pretty quiet, but came on a lot because the room had a sliding glass door which also had a passive glass "mate". All that glass made the room lose heat fairly quickly. I also liked the fact that the exterior door near my room (not near the lobby) was locked whenever I used it. Many hotel have the card reader but don't turn them on until late a night. Plus the door was a slider, so that made it easy to enter with luggage. The only small thing was that I was on the side facing the main road and there was a fair amount of road noise (no doubt the result of the sliding glass door).

Very pleasant stopover en route to family holiday celebration. Perfect location on our route, easy to find and access. Room was clean and comfortable, with fridge and nice toiletries. Loved the large warm pool and the breakfast. Good coffee! - that's often a disappointment for me as I prefer a strong, dark blend. This was sooo much better than the usual. And it was possible to have a table away from the TV, too. Hooray!

Came into town, hotel was easy to find. Cookies and a warm smile greeted me as I walked in the doors. Room was easy to find, bed was comfortable. Hot water and decent water pressure. Room was clean, very happy.

I stay here every few months when I'm in the northeast for work. Great staff, great service, great breakfast, all around a great hotel. Got to see my favorite general manager after breakfast and he is always great to see and catch up with. He tells me this winter they are going to renovate the rooms again. But the restaurant being open again is great news. Hope to see you guys again in March. Happy Holidays!

Both the check in and check out processes were quick and efficient. I did the online pre-check in, which was lovely and time saving. The two staff members I interacted with, a male (my apologies, I cannot recall his name) at check in and a female (Autumn) at check out were both sure to point out necessary points in the hotel (breakfast location, door/stair/room location access) and asked how everything was for my stay or if I needed anything before departure. We also had our DND on our door but housekeeping still left a bag of replacement towels on our door, which was a pleasant suprise. While I could tell there were cosmetic repairs made to the wall paper/paint in the room, it was still easy to see due to the patches of paper coming up on the edges, the room otherwise was well lit, comfortable and cozy. Upon check in, the provided mini fridge as not functional at all, however that was addressed and rectified immediately upon making the FD aware. The curtains were sufficient in cleanliness and diffusing/blocking most light but their age did show. Small balcony was great in allowing fresh air but the door was in need of WD40 and a good cleaning in the door track. The bathroom while on a smaller size, it was all the two of us needed. The bathroom fixtures seemed to have been recently updated and was well lit. The bed was very comfortable and we did not hear any one or any noise for our entire trip, so we slept quite well. I did notice that the posted elevator inspection was out of date by 3 months- with the hotel being only two floors, we opted to use the stairs for personal preferences (I once was stuck in an elevator 5 years ago, for a few hours). The staff was very friendly and made sure to mention the important highlights/locations of amenities. The overall room and property were clean, newly updated and well appointed for the price point for the accommodations. The location was close to many local attractions & parks. The conveniently located bar/tavern (attached to the BW) was a nice spot to join with friends for drinks, darts and live music. It was also a plus that as BW guests, there was no cover fee. I am looking to return to Keene in the future and will most likely be rebooking with in the next year/18 months.

Very clean, updated rooms. They have a nice lobby with complimentary breakfast. IT was a typical menu of breakfast items and served its purpose. They have nice indoor pool. It's on the small side, but clean and fun for my son! Our toilet was leaking when we first got to our room. We had a maintenance person in there within 5 minutes of calling. He fixed it and it was good to go.

Two separate stays - on our way to Maine and on our way back. Both nights were great with a large king bed and sofa. Exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet (easy access far enough from road to be nice and quiet). Friendly check-in both times. Very friendly staff overall. Lori & Nickole do a great job at breakfast with very good selections. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Hotel staff was great, very welcoming! Hotel was clean and seemed to be well maintained! Our room was on the first floor which was a standard size room. The room had basic decor, but was very clean. The only problem in the room was a strong smell of cleaning solution when one first walked into the room. It never seemed to dissipate throughout our stay. The breakfast was above average which was included in the rate of the hotel room. The women working the guest breakfast dinning area went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed at breakfast. She gets five stars!

We were traveling around Vermont and drive into NH to stay here based on reviews. It was a smart move. It is conveniently located to the highway, shopping and restaurants. There were apples, oranges, pears, and cookies available in the lobby. The breakfast has good variety. There were two rooms with ample seating. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the room refrigerator and freezer worked well, as did the microwave. The elevator is near the entrance and there are luggage carts available. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. We plan to stay here again.

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but it is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. We did not get to try out the pool, free breakfast or other amenities but mostly everything was amazing. The room was very spacious and the beds were super comfortable. The only downside to this hotel was that our room was not ready until 4PM (2 Hours after check in) which was inconvient. Overall I loved our stay and would stay here again.

This was a very nice Hotel stay with a lovely, clean room. Love the large fridge and a microwave! Friendly, efficient and accommodating staff. Nice to have a full breakfast with lots of choices. Close to everything. One couldn't ask for much more. Thank you!

Everyone was so friendly and helpful and they provide a great spread for breakfast that changes daily with hot and cold options as well as 24 hour coffee and tea. The lobby also gives some grab and go and cookies for the kids all day. The pool is nicely heated too.

I arrived after 10:00 p.m. so was ready to settle in after a long drive. I was placed in a room that smelled horribly like body odor. When I went back to the front desk they were very accommodating and gave me a different room. All said and done, I spent about a half hour between the time I arrived and the time I finally got settled into my room. When I pulled down the comforter on the bed, I saw that the mattress cover was splattered with disturbing dark stains (blood?). By that point, after already having moved rooms, I decided to just try to get some sleep. I have contacted the hotel but haven't received a response. I had higher expectations - at least that the bed covers should be clean. Otherwise it appeared to be an okay hotel - inviting lobby, free breakfast, pleasant and helpful front desk staff. The fact that the hotel didn't even respond to my concerns when I sent an email to me shows indifference.

Always clean, comfortable and well-managed. This is our choice of hotel whenever we have to spend an overnight in the Keene area. A special shout-out to the female desk clerk who helped me with many changes in arrival and departure dates.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The beds were especially comfortable and the rooms looked and smelled pleasant. I used the pool as well and it was clean and relaxing. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was excellent and I was surprised at how much there was to choose from.

Beautiful hotel. The service was great. If I had a problem they fixed it right away. Enjoyed how there was a balcony as well. The next morning I had an issue with my car and couldn't make it back in time for 11 am check out and they gladly extended it to 12pm.

We were going to be in Keene for one night and liked the location of this hotel and the fact that the parking was free in comparison to those located down town. The hotel has had quite a few updates, and we found the room very comfortable and extremely clean. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I have stayed at Keene's Best Western many times over the years and we have never been disappointed. We always choose this hotel when we travel every September for the annual Winchester Pickle Festival 20 mins outside of Keene. The beds are very comfy and the pool is relaxing. We were looking for a clean and comfortable hotel in Keene and this hotel fit the bill. All staff member were excellent from the check in to housekeeping, breakfast lady and check out. The room was amazing with 2 beds. We slept really well here. The continental breakfast was the best we have ever had. So many options to choose from. We would definitely stay again!

Stayed again after last years October trip. Still great people and still great owners and managers. Would recommend to anyone. Breakfast is great. Rooms are good. And best of all the service is unbeatable. See you all in October.

Room was great, clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included, lots of choices for hot and cold foods. Booked the room for three nights after the first night they checked me out in the morning claiming I only booked for one night. Luckily they had a room for us for last two nights. Asked the manager to call me twice regarding the rates staying the same and he never did. Person at the desk was very unsure of a lot of things. They originally overcharged me and then had to go in and adjust because after all they did have my original reservation and could give me the same rates. I didn't enjoy spending a whole day of my vacation playing phone tag with them because they made a mistake

Great Location right by the center of Keene. Clean, updated and well maintained and the Staff are the best. Never an issue and reasonable prices. Close to Keene State College if visiting there. I think the restaurant is closed - But plenty of food options in the area

Our family of five had a fabulous stay at this hotel. From the road, it's not overly attractive, but once you hit the inside, you quickly see why the Best Western Plus Keene Hotel has great reviews. The indoor pool was fantastic...large, spacious, and clean. The complimentary breakfast was seriously amazing. There were so many delicious options, including both waffles and pancakes with toppings like whipped cream, strawberry compote, cinnamon, and chocolate chips. The two ladies who worked the breakfast in late May, 2018, were so helpful and kind. Our double queen room was a normal size but clean and comfortable with a microwave and fridge. We would definitely stay here again!

I'm not typically a fan of Best Western hotels but this one is an exception! This hotel is clean and comfortable in a location that is convenient to stores and places to eat. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was large, clean and comfortable. There was a decent sized refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was included and was comprised of hot and cold food options. The dining area was spacious and clean and the staff in the dining area was attentive. I can't think of a single reason to not stay at the Best Western in Keene!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while in the Keene area. The room was clean, bed very comfortable, priced right. Breakfast had numerous choices. Service was excellent. I would stay here for sure if in the area again.

For a Best Western, I was pleasantly surprised! This felt more like a Holiday Inn - the breakfast was awesome & everything was clean / mostly updated. (The TVs we flatscreens but older, around early 2000s). I really enjoyed having the balcony, however small/narrow, as it allowed me to get fresh air without leaving my room. The pool was clean and safe, as was the outdoor courtyard/patio - which we used with our 2.5year old who loves to run. 4/5 stars due to restaurants being across the rotary & the attached restaurant under renovations. But they did have microwavable foods in their mini shop. Also, we stayed when there were lots of kids so it was a bit noisier in the morning than I like - but no fault of the hotel. I'd stay here again!!!

Hotel was great, Complimentary breakfast was what would expect and maybe a little bit more. Plenty of space to eat. 24 hr coffee machine was handy as well. Rooms were clean. only thing i can think of to make experience better would have been if the bar and restaurant were open.

While the staff are very nice the hotel is old and needs updating. Many non smoking rooms smell of smoke that comes in from the hallways. The rooms have a musty smell. We stayed n=2 nights and then returned a day later asking for a better room that didn't get smoke from the hallway. The next room was worse! We left rather than staying the 2 weeks as planned.

Hotel was nice clean. Front desk staff were helpful. swimming pool was nice clean water warm we enjoyed it with our grandsons. The breakfast was very good clean and well attended by the staff. There was a nice verity of items to please everyone. coffee, tea and fruit was available in lobby all day and night. The carpet in the room was worn with a hole in it and needs to be replaced.

Clean rooms and friendly staff in Best Western Hotels at Keene. Easy to visit with friends without loud noises or large crowds. Breakfast was Excellent and it's free. Parking was good. Lighting outside was great. We felt very secure and safe.

We were in Keene for our grandson's graduation. This Best Western is conveniently located for this event. However, we were very disappointed that the attached restaurant is currently closed! There are several other choices for food near-by and downtown Keene, so it all worked out.

Hotel quite all right with interesting design, so map of the rooms comes handy. Basic breakfast but sufficient. Rooms clean. Personnel helpful and nice. Hotel restaurant closed so there is now more parking in the evening. Next to plaza with some food establishments, etc.

I had to work late and start early in the area. We are seasoned international travelers and often book online. In this case though I was a working man in a uniform. I checked in after dinner and left before breakfast. Initially the room looked ok so I changed and picked up a bedtime snack. A piece of fruit would have been nice but bought some cookies. Got back to the room and found a hand towel unfolded and a water bottle in the trash. Later I found some meat next to the fridge and grounds in the coffee pot. It looked like the room was used after it was last cleaned. The room was a little rough with spots of rust in the bathroom I was just too tired to deal with moving so I slept got up handed in my key cards and swiped a banana and muffin before the breakfast bar was open. I am afraid that being given what I expect was the poorest of rooms as a working man will prevent us from seeing what Best Western has to offer us as travelers. I couldn't find an email contact for the facility directly to let them know. ?

This was a very convenient hotel located close to the college. The hallways were quiet and the pool was perfectly maintained. Rooms were clean and cozy with plenty of towels. Will Definitely stay here again!

I had an important business meeting in my room. The hotel is located near major roads and is well marked. The check in was prompt and complete including benefits related to my BW type of membership. Actually, I was able to check in well before the usual time. The reception area is clean and attractive and the breakfast room and meeting areas are attractive and quite large. The guest room was clean, well maintained and provided refrigerator and a microwave oven. The price was acceptable even without usual discounts. It appears that this property does not offer any discounts at least at the week day I stayed there and there were many rooms not occupied. Other facilities were in a good shape and well maintained.

Everything was great BUT the nasty smell in our room. It literally smelled like someone took a #2 and hid it somewhere. Also the water pressure sucked and showerhead could use a cleaning or a new one.

Friendly, clean and accommodating. Front desk was professional and welcoming. The gym is clean also! Next time I will bring a swimsuit to use the pool. Lots of restaurants close by as well as shopping....

I am a long-standing Hilton Honors member but there are a couple of towns I've had to stay in that did not have a Hilton property. I was hesitant to stay at the Best Western but am now a convert. They are consistent: Excellent staff, clean rooms, very good and thoughtful breakfast offerings, and a price that can't be beat. Oh yes, and an excellent fitness room.

The Best Western Keene is our hotel of choice when visiting the area. The staff are very hospitality, the hotel is very clean and a short drive to downtown. The breakfast is what you would expect a free hotel breakfast to be. Nothing fancy but it does the trick. Don't miss the after dinner cookies in the lobby! YUMMY! Our one complaint (hence the 4 stars) would be that the attached Irish pub, Waxy O'Connor's, has been closed for a few months now with no signs of reopening. We enjoyed the convenience of Waxy's which was quite the hoppin' place on a Friday or Saturday night with great live bands and a fun crowd. If that's your thing, as mentioned previously, downtown and it's many bars and restaurants is a short $7 taxi or Uber ride.

This is by far my favorite hotel in Keene. We have stayed here multiple times while visiting Keene State, and have never been disappointed. It is always clean, comfortable beds, rooms are large enough with a fridge, good quality toiletries in the bathroom. Excellent continental breakfast that includes omelets, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit, etc, as well as great coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff. Indoor pool and fitness room are adequate. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because we really miss the on-site bar/restaurant. It was so convenient to have on-site and the quality was always great. Since this hotel is off the beaten path and nothing is walkable, the restaurant was important to have. If that comes back - hotel is back to 5 stars in my book!

I'd stay here again! The room was clean comfortable, quiet and the staff was informative and polite. Gym was one of the best hotel gyms I've seen, and I've been at a lot of hotels in all over the country.

We have never stayed in a more welcoming, dog friendly hotel. Not only that, but the breakfast was amazing, the service and staff very courteous and accommodating. Wish every hotel was like this one!!

Quick overnight stay and the hotel was nice! Very clean room! Excellent front desk staff! Warm cookies in the lobby. Comfortable bed. Even the hallway smelled good. Ice machine was close and had plenty of ice.

Went for an overnight trip with my fiancee. We enjoyed our stay a lot, the only thing we didn't really like was the free breakfast bar that was a little misleading. We ended up eating breakfast elsewhere but overall a great hotel.

Spent the day in Winchester NH and enjoyed the stop in Keene for a Good night's sleep. Unpacked and very clean room. Went to the Movies in Keene got in late and had a great night's sleep. Went down for Breakfast which had many hot or cold items to choose from. Will come back...

Clean room, stocked bathroom, and everything worked perfectly in our room. We had an issue with bedding and the staff was quick to bring an additional bed, upon our request through the text program. If I had one thing to critique about our trip, I wish the free breakfast had bacon! But for a free breakfast, it was the best one I've ever had!

Got caught in Keene during the blizzard, so I decided to just spend the night. The staff were very professional and polite. Lots of options for food in the area. Hotel was in great shape, room was nice and lots of channels to choose from.

My husband and I met my daughter, her husband andmy two grand kids, ages 10 & 12. They loved the pool and breakfast, helped themselves to waffles and pancakes. My grand daughter wanted to know if next time we could stay for a week. Very cute.

Dog friendly, family friendly and very nice. Our family gathered in the dining room for a fun holiday gathering. The staff was friendly and kind, making sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend this hotel.

Everything was perfect for our stay. It was quiet, comfortable, clean and pet friendly. We even got a package for our poodle including treats. There were no odd smells. There was plenty of hot water. A large refrigerator was in our room and also a microwave. There was TV including HBO. The internet worked great. And it is ideally located near Walmart, Pet-smart and 5 Guys among other stores.

Smoking rooms smell really bad it was all that was left thought we could cope with the smell but it was really awful even for a smoker it was way more then I could stand.... card had to be activated 3 times but staff were very friendly overall the rooms are affordable and it's not the ritz hotel... if I stay again it will be in non smoking

I really can't say enough about this property. Clean place. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Free breakfast in the morning (light fare). Very roomy. You won't find people on top of each other here. It's spread out. Vending machines in lobby have microwaveable treats. And the price was not bad at all. We will stay here again.

Booked two rooms for one night for a birthday girls night for my daughter. 5 kids, 3 adults. Got conjoined rooms and it was perfect! Accommodating staff. The kids enjoyed the pool open till close and the breakfast was a bonus I wasn't expecting. Overall, great value for the price!

I ended up needing a place to stay due to a snow storm and not wanting to travel home. It ended up feeling like a mini vacation! V clean, quiet, and relaxing. I travel to Keene for graduate school and having a place to decompress after class was helpful

breakfast service and buffet was clean friendly and had an awesome variety. The waffle station had granola, chips, cinnamon, coconut, and Nutella. First time I saw a hotel breakfast bar put that much time and attention into the small details.

My dog and I needed a last minute place to stay after an emergency at my apartment and this seemed to be the best option locally. I couldn't be happier that I chose this hotel! The General Manager, Mayur Patel, was very patient with the many questions I asked him at various times during my two-night stay. Angela, one of the housekeeping staff, was very helpful - when I was carrying breakfast back to my room, both hands were full and Angela was kind enough to open the door to my room for me. But Jacob from maintenance gets my highest praises! He came to my room because I had trouble opening the sliding glass door. After he opened it, I took my dog outside and Jacob noticed that she had problems getting down the small step to get outside. An hour later, he came back to the room with a small wooden block and made a makeshift ramp so my dog could easily get outside! He also brought rugs to put on the floor in front of the door to the hallway because my dog has trouble walking on slick floors. I appreciate this kindness more than words can say! Everyone else who works there was super nice too and it made my stay all the better.

My wife and i stayed at this hotel last week on our vacation in New England. The young lady that greeted us when we checked in was outstanding; not only did she make us feel welcome without a reservation but she even went as far as logging my Best Western # into the system so that i would receive credit for the stay. The pool and complementary breakfast both received high marks from us. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff was polite and the room was average. Saw two bugs during my stay - one in the bedroom and one in the breakfast area and a spider in my shower. The breakfast buffet was nice and the hotel smelled nice.

The hotel is very well situated,close to every important road,pretty close to main street,....the widest in the U.S.A. Very nice building ,carpets everywhere and a very nice lobby where you can relax with a coffee and a newspaper.The rooms are a good size and and have everything you can wish for.The swimming-pool is always at a good temperature and there is a small but well equiped gym.The breakfast is incredible and about the best we ever had in a B.W.

I've been staying here for a number of years now and I have to say, I can always count on Mr. Patel's staff and hotel to meet my needs. He showed me the new hanged that were made to the hotel guest rooms and I must say the mirrors look sharp. It is unfortunate Waxys was closed for renovations but I understand. I just hope they are open by the time we make the annual summer trip. Great place, will always return and recommend.

Could not have had a worse experience. Locked out of room. Took an hour to get in. Ended up late to a wedding. The reason we came to town. Nope. Will never stay at ANY of their hotels again. Totally my fault for being cheap. You get what you pay for.

Very expensive and no hot water for two days Called the front desk and they promised to fix and did nothing. Very bad experience. No manager on duty either day. Not much more I can say about this place other than it is over rated. Red Roof Inn at least has hot water.

I had to get a room for my stay in Keene for work, the room was nice and clean. Good view and quiet. The attendant at the front desk got me the requested quiet room........ Unfortunately I had no hot water for both days/nights there. So I went from a long 3 drive to the end of my stay without being able to take a hot shower. The morning after the first nights stay I mentioned it to the front desk, later that night in my return I inquired if the hot water was working since I really needed a shower after working all day. They said it was repaired and was not working due to the restaurant next door being closed down for good was sharing the hot water with some of the rooms including mine. They were working on deverting it from being shared all day and into the night. I tried the hot water and got a little warm after a while but not hot. I figured maybe the tanks need to be filled and heated and would just wait till the next morning to shower. Next morning nothing but cold water once again. My bill was slipped under the door and it had zeros only in the balance box and the total price of $251.12 in the credit column. I thought perhaps the room was being credited for the inconvenience of not being able to shower with hot water and not providing a restaurant to eat at when the signs for it are still outside and on the building that the "Waxy O'Conners" pub was there and open. By the way one reason I choose this hotel was for it having a place to eat and drink after driving and working all day. The 2nd morning I approached the front desk and said I still had no hot water. I also inquired about the bill if it was taken care of or not but she didn't know the answer and ask me to call back when the manager came in at 2pm. I was still in the area so I just went inside. I was told the credit card was billed for the full amount. I am surprised that no offer of reward points were made for my inconvenience of not being able to bath/shower with hot water. The restaurant closed is also a selling pitch that not delivered. I still have to finish working in Keene for the rest of the day then drive back home the same way I got here with my home shower being the last one I had since I left at 4am the day I got here. My work is sweaty with chemicals . A shower is a needed and welcome thing to have

If you are looking for a great place to stay in Southern New Hampshire, this is the place to consider. It is on a main road and relatively close to many amenities. Antique shops, restaurants, and leaf-peeping... what more could you want at an affordable price?

A nice ,clean, two story walk up, like the old side of the road motel. Nicely updated. At check in you sign for a quiet time promise. I woke up at 2am with a neck ache from the Bad pillows, I tried all of them, with a throbing headache the next room had their TV blaring so loud you could hear it through the walls and also in the hallway. A little overpriced by $100 bucks in my opinion. I paid $275 for a Saturday night in the first week of October

The staff at check in desk were very helpful . The room was very clean and nice. It was a hot day and I was pleased they had turned the A.C. on before I went to the room. Everything was smooth and easy.

From the moment we pulled up to when we left was great. Friendly and very pleasant staff made our stay here memorable! There was a restaurant there,but it was closed. So, we ordered delivery from a pizza shop and I got a sub called a steak bomb and it was delicious. Enhanced the experience!!( Amicci's was the name, I believe)

weve stayed here before an really liked this hotel because of waxys restaurant an the heated pool..room was very clean as usual hotel desk very nice but we were very disappointed that waxys wasn't open an closed for renovations..the number 1 reson I booked it again was convince of restaurant on the property..was informed best western doesn't own them but I wish someone had told me it was closed..free breakfast..well it was just ok this time eggs were dry but everything else was great..heated pool was a big plus! wish theyd add a hot tub though..

Clean, excellent service...will stay here again if opportunity arises...the location is very convenient to get to shopping, grocery, restaurants.....many to choose from. Outdoor picnic tables were nice to have since the weather was beautiful!

This hotel is nice in foyer and breakfast area, however rooms are not in the best condition (bed requires updated mattress). Very nice pool and surrounding amenities. Immediate areas outside of hotel could use repairs and updates. Excellent Breakfast staff!

A nice hotel in a good location, and easy access from the highway. Clean, friendly and professional staff, and a nice fitness center and pool. Keen is a wonderful small town, and the surrounding area is beautiful.

The location was great, easy to get to, and we enjoyed the surrounding area. The hotel and room were very clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There was an indoor pool and exercise room as well as Wi-Fi/Internet. Would go back.

If you're traveling, this place is great. No restaurant, but there are several nearby. Nice indoor pool and gym. The hotel is south of the main town, so you need to drive to get to shopping, restaurants, and services.

Well-kept hotel with modern amenities, comfortable beds, and warm, friendly service. The only downside was that the breakfast featured scrambled eggs that were perhaps the most tasteless and dry that I ever had. Even though they were probably made from powdered eggs, there must be a better recipe they could follow. I'd like to return to this hotel, and decent scrambled eggs would certainly make a difference for me, especially since I don't eat wheat or foods with high sugar content.

We very much were pleased with the hotel. The rooms were very nice and updated. The service was pleasant and they had the best continental breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. We will definitely be going back there for future trips.

Not a great experience. Hotel has very bad television reception making some channels(including HBO) unwatchable. Inability of plugging in an external device like computer or iPad makes for a very disappointing experience and the beds and pillows were old and not very comfortable!

I found the staff here very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean (although the carpet in my room really needed to be replaced). There were lots of options at breakfast as well as s coffeemaker and microwave in the room.

I've stayed at this location on numerous times in the past and always found it to be a clean and convenient motel. The staff never disappoints me with their politeness and professionalism. the breakfast is adequate and wholesome.

Beds are always very comfortable and good breakfast. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Location makes for easy access to the highway and entry overhangs are particularly helpful if it is raining, which is was due to the remnants of hurricane Harvey.

We had a death in the family and several of us stayed at the BW in Keene,NH since it was in an ideal location given where the wake and funeral locations. Laura Washer, th Corporate Sales Manager was exceptionally helpful in getting us group reservations on short notice. She also went out of her way to make sure our needs were handled so that we could concentrate on our family's grief. Thank you, Laura! The entire staff was helpful and empathetic! The breakfast staff was also really on the ball, keeping the area tidy and filled with good food!

We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Keene, NH and booked a room with 2 queen beds for my family. When we got to our room after dinner and actually looked at the beds we realized that they were full size beds. Since it was after 10PM we didn't call the front desk, which was a mistake since we had such a horrible night sleep. In the morning when checking out we informed the front desk staff of the error and she insisted that all of the rooms were queen size beds and there was no error. We got no where with her so we just waled out. With the misrepresentation of their rooms and no satisfaction about the issue I will definitely not stay here again.

Recently stayed for 2 nights for a wedding. We stayed in the reserved "block". We were quite spread out and caused some ruckus, it would have been less of an issue if they'd kept al the rooms together (sorry to the people in between us :(). Our Room was clean! Found a pacifier under the bed in another one! The breakfast was good! More than we expected! We were bummed that the restaurant closed, it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel.

I would have given a 5 as we did have a great stay. Hotel is great. We were able to have a cookout on their patio and have about 40 other hotel guests join us. All of those guests were attending our daughters wedding the next day. Biggest problems were no attached restaurant as it was closed for renovations and we asked to check out later on Sunday and my husband said they wanted $20/hour to check out later! Absolutely crazy. So, if your just looking for a place to sleep, this is a good choice.

Spent one night at this property on the way home from a Vermont road trip. Great location in Keene, although it can be a bit tricky getting in and out as there is a great deal of traffic at this intersection. The property is a 70s era building that's been (mostly) successfully updated with newer furniture and amenities,etc. Check in was easy, and the staff very pleasant and helpful, making sure I parked near the entrance closest to my room. The only downside of that is that one has to carry luggage up the stairs, as the only elevator is in the lobby area quite a distance away. However the clerk first checked to see if I had any mobility issues, and that was appreciated. The room was decently furnished, clean,and the A/C, WiFi, and TV all worked well. There were a couple of peppermints and "I Care" Best Western cards on the bed, (along with the tip envelope!), which was a nice touch. An unusual feature was a game console attached to the TV - a great idea for families or gamers. Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels, nice water pressure and plenty of hot water. The ice machine was down the hall in a glassed corridor between buildings. Speaking of that ice machine - overall there was very little hall noise other than some excited kids with their families, but no big deal, but the ice machine's placement in that glass corridor kind of WAS a big deal. Very noisy, very loud, and it echoed down the hallways every time it kicked in. I heard a couple people mention it the next morning, and I must admit it did wake me a few times. I was a bit concerned upon check in when I saw a box of gift bags awaiting guests for a wedding, and I saw quite a few guests arriving with dress and suit bags, etc.,but there was no unusual noise or partying going on, at least in the section I was in. Breakfast was pretty standard, they did have a pancake maker which is a nice addition as well as the standard waffle maker, etc. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. The one disappointment was that the attached restaurant was closed for renovation, and there is no mention of that on their website, but I had read reviews on Trip Advisor noting that, so was prepared. Check out was very easy, as they slipped the invoice under the door early in the a.m.and you could just leave your key cards in the room, very much appreciated. I definitely would stay at this hotel again. It's a great location, clean rooms,friendly staff, but just try to avoid that roaring ice machine!

Very nice hotel. Close to downtown Keene. Rooms very spacious. Comfortable beds and great water pressure in the shower. Big pool and a nice courtyard with lounge chairs and grills available to use. Nice landscaping and a very well kept property. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because the front desk staff was just not friendly at all. When I greeted the young ladies behind the desk as I was leaving the hotel, they just stared at me and said nothing in return. I found that awfully rude. Aside from that, everything else was just perfect! Will stay again when in the area.

Had a very enjoyable stay. All of the staff was completely professional and courteous. The lobby and room were very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was good and had a nice selection of food. I will definitely return.

a bit pricey for one night. breakfast was typical but fresh with eggs, cheese, salsa, pancakes, waffles, and bagels. the repair service was excellent, as the TV remote was dysfunctional in my room. beds are wonderful and the layout and amenities of the room were delightful. The front desk at 9:30-10pm at night (when I checked in)was very slow and not attentive at times.

The rooms were clean and neat looking. The freezer didn't work properly, my ice cream melted. The staff were all courteous and helpful. Easy access to the highway and the downtown area with lots of shopping and eating.

The cleanliness of the room was concerning followed by the very uncomfortable pillows. The bar at the hotel was closed for renovation and no one was notified (specifically the mother of the bride who booked it for a rehearsal dinner) I unfortunately will not be returning to the best western in Keene

We were booked for a six day stay at the Best Western. We found our first floor room to be noisy. Hallway traffic. We complained that the swimming pool was ice cold..."heater was being replaced". Our grandchildren were unable to swim. The attached/advertised restaurant and lounge were "closed for renovations."

We would rate the hotel 3 stars , average hotel with some new renovations. We were extremely disappointed that Waxy O'Connor restaurant pub was closed, until Fall, especially since we booked the stay based on previous restaurant/entertainment experience. There is no restaurant on site as advertised. So very disappointed.

Yes I enjoyed the whole stay the people were excellent for host and receptionist breakfast was good not much choices I would recommend it to anyone the parking was excellent the room service was excellent

A clean comfortable place, always our first choice when in the Keene, N.H., area.The restsurant is closed for renovations currently, but, when open its very convenient and has had pretty good food as Waxy O'Connors pub.We are curious to see what it reopens as, and hope it will be as good.The location is close to downtown and there are shops and other restaurants fairly close to this hotel.Overall a favorite of ours.

Hotel was great, staff was nice. Went during baseball tourney season so lots of little leaguers there but overall nice stay. FYI, if you book, please make sure you note your reservation to be a nonsmoking room. We didn't notice but we were in a smoking room on a smoking floor and had to be moved by the hotel staff. Because we had 2 small children with us, they were very accommodating.

The Title says it all! I resent paying $200.00 for accommodations any descent hotel would provide as a basic user friendly hotel. I also resent paying for and filling out a survey educating establishments that ripped me off and do not provide compensation in the form of reduced rate for my stay. All I received was a cursory "we will look into it" .... That means the next person who has the misfortune of staying at this hotel will fall prey to the same BS I had to deal with....

Quick easy check in, and warm cookies were delicious. We were given a large handicap accessible room that was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if ever in the area. The only negative was there were no towels at the pool.

The hotel is modern and very clean. The staff at the front desk could not be more helpful and sweet to deal with. We had a large group and they took care of all of us without a hiccup. The breakfast is great and the staff that serves it is even better. An awesome place to stay!

We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed. Also, we were told to move our cars on Sunday morning because there was a crew to hot-top the parking lot. This was at 8:00. Not very considerate. Location was fine.

We stayed only one night but we were pleased by the helpfulness at check in, in meeting our requests. Our room was spacious and had all the accoutrements-mini-fridge,microwave, coffee-maker and very clean and comfortable . The breakfast was a cut above the usual hot breakfast with a pancake and a waffle maker along with the eggs, sausage , yogurt, cereals,etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was undergoing construction so we cannot comment on it . There is an indoor heated pool and an outdoor patio.Ice water in the lobby with cookies was a nice touch. All in all, a very clean,comfortable and friendly hotel.

We pass through Keene each year on our trip to Nova Scotia. We travel with two cocker spaniels so our choice of hotel is limited to those accepting pets. This year we decided to change venues and stay at the Best Western Plus hotel as they accept pets. We were thrilled with our decision. Our spacious and comfortable room was on the ground floor, with sliding glass doors opening to the outside -- this made walking our dogs easy and enjoyable as the hotel is located in a pretty area of town. There is a pool and a workout room that we plan to take advantage of in future visits - the breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of choices. In short, this was everything that you could look for in a motel while travelling and I strongly recommend it.

showed up at the hotel with confirmation numbers for three hotel rooms .clerk could only find one confirmation number. Luckily they had plenty of rooms . enjoyed the Irish pub as we are Murphy's. no hot water .rooms where dated but had a great family weekend. Then came the credit card bills arrived. Billed for all the rooms that they couldn't find the confirmation numbers for in addtion to the rooms we agreed to pay for. Several calls, six to be exact. spoke to Jeremy each time. Office manager and GM never had the courtesy of returning my call. office manager told Jeremy to tell me charges would fall off in 10 days. they didn't. Spent over $600 for one night of rooms and over $500 in food and beverage. You would think, with 2 more kids going to college in NH we could get a call back at the very least . Will definitely stay someplace else for the next kids graduation and family weekends. Thumbs down for best Western plus Keene New Hampshire

We have stayed here a number of times over the years and the Keene Best Western has always been a pleasant experience. We feel welcome the moment we arrive. I happened to run into the General Manager late in the evening and even though I could tell he was busy he did not hesitate to chat with my wife and I while we checked in. My daughter loved the pool. The room was clean. The breakfast had a good variety and was well stocked. All the housekeepers greeted us whenever we passed. Never disappointed here.

We always stay at this hotel when we travel to Keene. This trip was excellent as usual however the restaurant has recently closed. We find this property to be well managed, accommodating, and In a great location. We have stayed here numerous times over the last 30 years and have always had a great experience.

Everyone was very friendly from when I arrived to when I left, the rooms were very clean as was the rest of the hotel. I had a great experience and the complimentary breakfast was delicious! I was really looking forward to the Belgian waffles and they did not disappoint! I wish breakfast was offered for a little longer since I had to rush but other than that my stay was excellent! I've stayed here before and I will stay again!

The hotel is a nice hotel but the room wasn't as clean as I expected they need to learn how to clean a little better the tub had hair in it the floor by the bed there was chip pieces then were the slide door is there was pizza sauce on the wall and cookies and chips by the slider door

My wife and I were moving from Manassas, VA, to nearby Surry, NH, with 2 dogs and desperately needed a place to stay for 4 nights to ease the transition. This hotel satisfied this need perfectly and prevented us from burning out or going crazy. We could not put a price on our stay here. The breakfast supplied a diverse and changing number of hot and cold, healthy options to start the day. The walking area in the back was perfect for exercising our dogs and ourselves. The beds were comfortable. The room was "roomy", and the bath great. The location was wonderful because you could get to Downtown Keene but reach surrounding places (Brattleboro, Springfield, Surry, Walpole) without going through the Downtown. One rainy night, when we did not want to venture out, we had Chinese food (Marco Polo) delivered to the room. We had enough food for two meals! The hotel was a short drive to Home Depot, Pennies, Aldi, Staples, and other businesses.

My daughter and I were on the college hunt. By the time I arrived at this hotel I was utterly exhausted. The staff was helpful and friendly, the check in process was easy and efficient. Pool was great, and complimentary breakfast was fantastic.

Stayed for one night. Many amenities but didn't use them ie, swimming pool, exercise room, etc. For the price paid, it was worth it. Overall very good. When I'm back in the area, I will stay there again.

My wife and I rented 2 rooms for 2 nights to meet up with our son. When we checked in, we were pleasantly surprised to find the rooms were adjacent and connected. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Decent Wi-Fi. The rooms were very clean, and housekeeping refreshed the room nicely while we were out. The (free) breakfast buffet was EXCELLENT! Lori and Sharon obviously take their customer's care very seriously. Such variety! Scrambled eggs and breakfast meats, of course, plus lots of extras - fresh fruit, cereals, interesting toppings (like shredded coconut, sliced almonds, strawberry sauce, granola, chocolate chips...), waffle and pancake machines, fresh breads and yogurt, even a fresh chocolate bundt cake - this is not your ordinary breakfast buffet! The pool was clean and pleasant (a bit chilly for our taste), and the sun deck (courtyard) was very nice, with plenty of umbrella'd tables, chairs and loungers. The fitness center was small but adequate for our needs. Sadly, the onsite pub & restaurant were closed for renovation during our stay. We will certainly return to this hotel when we're in the Keene area!

Please reference my personal letter to the manager that I left, during my stay, which complimented ALL of the staff. Short of me recounting its full content, I wanted to mention that ALL of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and pleasant throughout my 8 night stay.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, large bathroom, quiet, descent sized room, free wifi, easy room access, and more.

I stayed at this hotel in 2013 and I had a pleasant experience, Unfortunately, this no longer holds true. My check in process was cumbersome because they not only didn't activate my keys properly, but they placed me by the ice machine when I expressly said I had driven 10 hours and needed a room that would be quiet. Consequently, I requested to change rooms at 10:00 PM since I could not sleep due to all the noise from the machine. The second room had very poor water pressure and a non working phone. So, I could not call the front desk. Guests in the hallways were very loud well past the hotel's quiet time policy so I ended up exhausted the next day for my work related meetings the next day. The hotel staff also double charged my credit card despite me already paying ahead for the room on Priceline. I am still waiting to have this additional charge removed from my credit card. Needless, to say I will never stay here again!

I loved this hotel. It looks old from the outside but the inside has been redone and is wonderful! All the staff are professional and nice. Rooms are great! Beds comfy. Best part is the fitness room and pool!

I would not stay at the Best Western Plus in Keene NH again. The bathroom door wont close all the way and had peeling paint on it. The toilet seat was broken and had peeling paint on it. The carpet was torn and tattered in the room. The ice machine outside our room was very loud and sounded like a refrigeration truck parked outside our room. The people checking in ahead of us were strung out on drugs. Not a nice place to bring your family.

This was a great hotel that we stayed at during a lacrosse tournament. I would be happy to return next year. They did require 2 night minimum stay, but the price was reasonable and the kids enjoyed the indoor pool

I would recommend this hotel , clean rooms , staff is nice but not very accommodating when trying to check in early , I had a afternoon wedding and wanted to check in around 1:00 and they would not guarantee or even try to accommodate me they said I could call to see if room was ready which was not much help since I was 21/2 hrs away and could not take a chance that the room would be ready

The Hotel room met expectations and the beds were comfortable. Due to many noisy, inconsiderate guests we got very little sleep - doors were banged and people yelling in the halls at 4am. Hotel restaurant was closed so there were no food options on site.

A good hotel but we were charged $200)+ per night (2 night min) as they were accommodating several children's sports teams. Having stayed at a few $200+ hotels, this one would not be of that quality. Excellent breakfast staff. No on-premise restaurant or bar.

Clean Hotel and our waiter in the restaurant was like a old friend. We were four people and each had a different dinner item and all four of us, to say the least,were impressed. The presentation was excellent and the food was delicious. If we are ever in this area again this Hotel will be the first one we stop at.

Verrrry nice accommodations! Great staff. Great breakfast. Price was a bit high as we were here for a wedding for one night, but was very satisfied all the same. One thing as an aside...do not smoke in the NON smoking rooms. Whether that be weed or butts because they will bust you and make you pay an extra $50 for doing so. Happened to someone in our party. They have you intial a box upon checking in statin so....so beware you potheads! Ha.

rooms were clean and large. bathroom needed updating--tub had paint chipping on floor. treadmills vibrate a lot and made it feel unsafe to run on it. breakfast was fine but there is not enough seating on the weekends.

Had a great visit to New England states and chose Best Western Plus in Keene as our base. Located close to the highway, good eating establishments and a very comfortable hotel this was an easy decision that really paid off. Better stated as "Bang for the Buck"!!

I booked the room at a rate of 179. They are billing me for 219.The restaurant was awful, we made reservations for 30. After 2.5 hours no food. Mgr. was combatitive. We were in town for a baseball tournament.

Clean, professional staff. Breakfast a big plus and the food was very good. Dining room and the lounge and restaurant very nice. Bar staff excellent.!!! Room very clean and checking in and out was very easy. Parking was also good.

We recently stayed at this Best Western for one night. We very much enjoyed our stay and the staff was super accommodating. We were traveling with our dog, which always makes plans a little bit more complicated! The front desk was able to give us a room on the first floor, with a sliding door directly outside (how convenient!). They also gave us a "welcome gift" for the dog - some small bones, poo bags and paper towels. I really appreciated the gesture. The room was very clean and comfortable. My only minor complaint is that the room was a little bit small to accommodate all of the furniture - we moved stuff around and made it work for us. The breakfast was really great - lots of offerings, plenty of seating and very tidy as well. We will be back in September and look forward to staying again - their dog friendly policy, convenient location, clean & comfortable rooms and a good breakfast are everything we could ask for!

The hotel is centrally located, and only 5 minutes to the center of town. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and informative. The bed was amazing! and Great job by the cleaning staff! This was the cleanest hotel room I've ever been to. I will certain return to this hotel.

Stayed here on April 21st with family. The hotel was kept very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful and had a great attitude. Several restaurant choices nearby in addition to the restaurant at the hotel. We are already booked for our return in a few months.

Hotel was clean and updated. Great staff, nice breakfast. Fitness center and pool were very big. Did not expect it. Didn't use the bar and restaurant but I'm sure that is good too. I would recommend this place to others.

The Lobby is gorgeous. The rooms average. The breakfast buffet is very good. The smoking wing is disgusting. If you are a smoker you will love it. Me, I am a severe Asthmatic and this was problematic. I was staying here while I was actually having asthma issues and I was having my house cleaned. I cannot be around when dust is getting kicked up. This is probably one of the last hotels to allow smoking. So, there you go. You have the perfect place to stay!

Stayed here as a stop over on our way to Boston. Very convenient to the highway and local stores etc. We used reward points so it was an even better value for us. No problem getting a reservation using points.

Room was clean and very quiet. Location was hard to get out of due to busy street your turning onto. Hard to find a parking place at night because customers at the restaurant were taking all of the parking slots.

Our room was showing a little age and the grounds outside were covered in cigarette butts and trash. Over all the hotel works for our weekend get-a-ways with our dog and the price/value is right. The staff at the front was friendly which is always a plus. With a little TLC this would be outstanding.

Desk management was not very personable. Carpet in room was torn and dingy. Common areas were clean and updated with exception of hallways; they were dark and dingy also. The pool was cloudy. Outside entrance areas reeked of cigarette smoke.

We always stay here when in town to visit relatives. This is a very clean hotel with a fantastic breakfast and pool. Friendly staff. Nice amenities such as cookies and coffee available in the lobby. Loved the make up remover wipes in the room!

Best experience ever they excepted dogs which was great and couldn't tell that this is a pet friendly room so clean and free of dog hair and smell we will definitely coming back here when we have a seminar again , this is such a clean hotel impressed

The Keene Best Western is a nicely appointed older hotel, but the staff is world class! From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the folks are friendly and send the message that they take pride in their hotel and their work. Even the free morning breakfast is outstanding... who'd a thought it?

The Hotel was a good value for the money , the room was clean, the staff pleasant, breakfast was a good assortment from healthy to hearty foods , the pool was nice not crowded, the attached restaurant/bar was good they had a band and good burgers no need to travel out

We stayed at the Best Western on Thanksgiving Eve. We ate at Waxy O'Connors, the food was great, large portions and our waitress was the best. We had two adjoining rooms, that were clean and had good amenities. The front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. My son forgot his toothbrush, the staff offered him a new one and asked if he needed anything else. Housekeeping staff was also very friendly and did a good job keeping the hotel clean. Each person we met Thanksgiving morning greeted us with a smile and said "Happy Thanksgiving" they did not appear to mind working on a holiday. We will stay here again at Christmas when visiting our son.

The room was ok, the bathroom was gross. One of the beds looked like someone just rolled out of it. Ice machine outside of room was very loud and made it hard to sleep. Staff was pleasant. Their cleaning staff is obviously lazy.

Everything was very clean at this hotel. Even the laundry room was impeccably clean. Very happy with the overall appearance and cleanliness. Only downside was how far I was roomed from all of the amenities even though I booked 4 days in advance. Front desk was very helpful in allowing me an extra hour to check out after a very late previous evening out.

This to me was your stereotypical Best Western. Not a lot of frills, tired carpeting, friendly staff and mediocre breakfast. It got a Very good rating because the location is situated out of the downtown area, yet easy access to major highways in the area. Came here for a wedding and the other good thing about the hotel was the bar made for a good spot to gather after the ceremony was done.

Clean great people that work for you. Dale front desk and Sharon and Lori for breakfast. I will more than likely start staying at best western hotels in the future. Beds were comfortable and the shower and plenty of got water was great.

Clean and quiet room. Thermostat controlled room - no noisy wall unit. Polite and courteous front desk. Very nice breakfast - plenty to choose from. Free cookies definitely a nice touch! Recommend staying here.

Rooms were pretty comfortable and clean. Staff were great. Breakfast was good. Location was very convenient to Keene State. Despite being by highway, not too much road noise. BUT bring earplugs in case you have noisy neighbors. Room 202 has a view of the condenser--not very pretty!

This is my fourth time in Keene and with the Best Western Keene. As usual the staff was very nice and friendly, the restaurant was our go to spot each night and Mr. Patel the GM was there to greet us. Its personalized attention like this that keeps us coming back.

Hotel is located close to downtown Keene, which is full of local restaurants and stores! The room was exceptionally well maintained, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and helpful with directions, as well as recommendations on places to eat! Look forward to staying again!

The staff is friendly, the room is clean and the hotel was quiet. The internet access was good and I was able to get a lot of work done. Definitely a nice place to stay if you have to visit Keene, NH.

We found this Best Western to be fine for our needs. It's a large, sprawling hotel designed for both regular guests and business meetings. Plenty of parking. If your room is in the back, it's a looong walk to the lobby and breakfast area. Our king bed room was large and clean, with a microwave, mini fridge, TV, and small coffeemaker in the room. There were an iron and ironing board in the closet. Bathroom was okay with a large counter and a hair dryer. Password protected wi-fi was good. Coffee and juices are available in a room off the lobby. If you're quick, you can run down and get some cookies in the afternoon. Copies of USA Today are available in the lobby in the morning. Breakfast had lots of choices - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, waffles (lots of toppings), yogurt, fruit, muffins, coffeecake, danish and cereals. It can get pretty crowded and they can run out of some items, but they do replenish. There are more tables in an overflow room across the hallway. I't's a college town so there are lots of students in the area. Be aware of the pedestrian crosswalks in town.

The lobby and associates were very nice. The place seemed up to date and clean. The rooms are not, very outdated, ice machine broken, spider webs in the sliding doors and bed bugs. I hate to give a bad review like this, because it can ruin reputations, but I don't want anyone else to get them. I woke up with 30+ bites on my upper body and we actually found one under the bed cover. Took a 1.5 weeks to hear back from GM and we were refunded our money, granted we found out the GM was out for a week 4 days after our visit, and HE was the only one that could take care of us, which is ridiculous. This type of experience definitely haunts you and makes us never want to stay at a hotel again.

My wife and I spent a Friday night in a king room. Check-in was easy. The room was clean, and quiet. The breakfast had enough variety. The bed was not quite as comfortable as I like, but not bad. The little couch/pullout wasn't very comfortable at all. And is the main reason I don't rate the hotel 5 stars. I sat there while watching a movie, and my back hurt by the time it was over. Overall though it was a pleasant stay.

Folks in NH do not respect hotel rooms that are non-smoking. Employees don't understand what it's like to try to breath in a room that had cigarette smoke in it then try to mask the odor/smoke with a spray that makes the matter worse!

Ok, so it is just a hotel, it's not top notch, but it's not bad. It's clean, comfortable, quiet (in the right rooms), close to many things, including dining, should you not want to eat at the Irish Pub on site. We did eat at the pub, and it was fine, albeit a bit loud for our taste. I will say, I didn't know that the Irish were known for chicken wings or potato puff:)

This hotel has some nice features such as big rooms and lobby. Breakfast is ok but not enough change in variety and they run out of items. Also, laundry dryer time is way too short for what they charge and housekeeping was awful; forgot our room and didn't dust. Rooms near highway are noisy all night long.

We stayed 5 nights and the lobby is nice and spacious, the room is modern and clean with fridge and microwave but you are just off a major highway and road noise is continuous. Free breakfast is good but they run out of items if you go later rather than earlier. Laundromat is convenient but they give too little drying time for average load of wash and so you spend double of what you think you will spend. Housekeeping needs a lot of improvement--one day our room never got done, another day it was done after 3pm when we had left before 10am, and they never dusted anything in the room the whole 5 days. Toiletries are down-market that they provide in the bathroom. The price overall is quite a bit higher compared to Best Westerns not too far from Keene.

This is a very nice hotel. It has a nice restaurant attached if you do not want to leave the property. Lots of good restaurants close. Nice college town very clean and very nice area for fall colours. nice and close to the highway and nice open lobby. the breakfast is very good as it is a Best Western Plus so it has the upgraded food. Nice spot for sure.

will definitely come back...place was clean, convenient, had good breakfast and friendly staff. The rooms were updated, modern and appealing. I like having a small refridge in my room The adjoining lounge was a great addition to the stay.

This hotel was completely revamped from the last time we were here nearly 20 years ago. It's okay, nothing special. The room was clean (the staff is excellent). One odd thing is that because the toilet has an elongated bowl, you can't open the bathroom door all the way; you have to step in and around it to shut the door. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price, and while I was happy with the french toast, nobody else in our party seemed overly pleased with the offerings. It certainly was not as nice as other places we've paid more to stay at. Won't stay here again.

For a 3 star property this place has been great!!! I have stayed and held an number of events at this property. Mayur, Scott, and the staff have always gone out of their way to ensure great stays and flawless events. In conclusion... this is a clean, comfortable, and convenient location that will not disappoint.

The lobby was well designed and the front desk staff were efficient and helpful. The breakfast area had plenty of seating, and was probably the cleanest and best stocked one I have ever seen. The rooms were clean and well maintained, however, the bed was very soft, which doesn't help a bad back. There was a balcony which we were unable to use due to weather. Overall, a very nice stay. I would, strongly, recommend it.

I just checked into this hotel a little while ago. The staff was super friendly. It was my first time staying at a hotel with my dog and I worried about the room with knowing other dogs cats cats had stayed here before. Was wonderfully surprised the room was clean and smells nice. I would definitely stay here again!!

The hotel staff, lobby, and rooms are exceptionaly nice and the stay is restful and refreshing. We strongly recommend this hotel where we have stayed for the past seven years.The breakafst , which is included in hte price, has a nice variety and the food is very good.

The location of the room is great. It is very easy to find and conveniently located near all the major roads in the area. When I walked into the hotel it smelled very nice. It was bright and very open. The front desk staff was wonderful. Every staff member I came in contact was very polite, professional, pleasant, friendly and smiling. The room had a bit of a funny smell to it that I could not place. But, that dissipated quickly. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable the pillows were plentiful. The bathroom was clean an spacious. The room had a refrigerator, microwave oven, alarm clock, iron & board, hair dryer and tv - all the usual. I did not use it but I believe there was free wi-fi and coffee available 24 hours a day, in the lobby along with a dispenser with ice water and, sometimes, cookies. The indoor heated pool looked nice, although, we did not use that either. They have conference rooms and a grand ballroom. Seems that have it all. I would stay there again. The only draw back was that the hallways smelled a bit as if they were trying to cover up an old smokey smell with that old fashioned hotel air freshener (that never ever smelled good). Breakfast was included and it was GREAT! They offer everything - eggs, make your own waffles and pancakes, cereal, yogurt, juice, etc. Anyway, it was a good place to stay.

My room was very clean, the staff was just great, breakfast was plentiful and delicious coffee in the lobby 24/7. I ate once in the restaurant and although I felt it was expensive for what I got, it was tasty. I did have a local pizza place deliver twice. A quiet and peaceful stay. I would stay again if in the area. Thank you!

On the way to Augusta Maine we stopped to spend the night and were very happy with our stay in Keene. Great location and great staff. Without a doubt best stay of our eight day trip to New England and back to Canada.

My family and I have stayed in this hotel three times so far, and each time we have been extremely pleased. We chose this hotel because it is close to Keene State College, is a reasonable price, and has the amenities we were looking for. There is an excellent restaurant and bar located right in the hotel, the indoor pool is clean and a decent size, and the gym was adequate for a hotel. The breakfast was very good, and there is a nice fireplace in the lobby with comfortable couches. The rooms were always clean and the beds were comfortable - can't ask for anything more. We will be back!

It was a nice clean hotel with very comfortable beds. Good TV. We had a wedding in nearby Walpole, NH and this was an easy in/easy out location without the traffic of nearby Keene. The free breakfast was good, my wife like the pancakes from the auto pancake maker and she is tough to please on pancakes. Pleny of available food and lots of variety.

This was our halfway pt from Camden Maine back home to Johnson Cuty NY. It was the perfect place to stay!!! Girls loved the big heated pool!!! Breakfast was excellent!!! My only complaint was that you can hear everything going on in the hallway!!

I checked in late, Gareth at the desk was very professional. I had a nice room close to the lobby, soft inviting beds. Laurie at breakfast was welcoming, and Kaitlin and Mayur at the desk on check-out were both friendly. Great room, great staff, will return again!

It's a BW...not a full Marriott or Hilton. $200 tax inc for what is essentially a motel. A great place to stay. The room was spacious and clean had a couch to sit on and watch TV. The breakfast selection was excellent had anything you could want. The area was neat and clean with plenty of room. The attendant was constantly checking on the food to ensure there was plenty and the area was clean. Will stay there next time we are in the area

I checked in at five ish went to room. At first look the room looked very nice..we went to dinner and came back to shower. The bathroom was filthy, black hair in the tub, the was a goldfish cracker on the picture frame and hair. In the bed. When we came back from dinner the room was hot...after a while the air came on and then it was an ice cube. The housekeeping is horrible will never stay here again.

If you are in Keene for business or to visit your kids at the college, this hotel is right for you. The rooms are clean. The price is right. The hotel staff are very accommodating, and you have quick access to many businesses in the area. I will be staying there again.

Overall experience was very poor due to employee apathy, cleanliness, and inoperative plumbing. Unfortunately, they are the only place in the area to stay. The breakfast was acceptable which is the only redeeming quality.

We always stay at BW in Keene in N.H when we visit our son and his family and have done this for about 4 or 5 years. We are comfortable there, the people are friendly and we think the price is decent.

Might be the best choice for the area because of it's amenities but I think a little pricey for what it is. They have been making a lot of improvements over the past several years so this could be why prices are a little high but I feel compared to other hotels in the area that the prices are to high for what type of hotel that it is.

This hotel is in a great location. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would like to stay here again, but only if it becomes a smoke free facility. They have non-smoking rooms, but the common areas and hallways have a very strong stale cigarette smell. The free breakfast was a very nice plus. I would give the Best Western Plus a better rating if the smoking wasn't such a big issue for us.

Myself and my husband stayed at this hotel with several other people, for a golf weekend. The room was great, roomy and clean! Our hairdryer didn't work, and I reported this to the front desk as I went into the restaurant for dinner with friends. The hotel staff along with maintainence , came and sought me out and explained that they left a hairdryer on the counter for me, and that they apologized for any inconvenience. I felt they went above and beyond to make sure my hotel stay was very pleasant. Also the rooms were exceptionally quiet. We couldn't hear one door close or toilet flush.

I thought the beds were great and so soft. I slept so well. My husband thought the bed was hard and uncomfortable. So everyone is just different. The hotel itself is fine. I was glad we were far from the pub because it was a bit rowdy. When I pay on-line I never appreciate an additional deposit upon check-in, which I had to pay here. The hold on my credit card cleared, though, so no complaints of overcharging. It was quiet, I slept great, the hotel was clean and the room was really comfortable.

When we walked in, the lobby was very inviting and the woman checking us in was very friendly and gave us good information for things to do in the area. Our room was off putting at first glance. Seems dark because of dark furnishings and carpet and the carpet was damaged, BUT the room is clean and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable - I normally do not sleep well in hotels, but I have slept like a baby two nights in a row! Room is quiet. We feel very safe here. Our car being parked just outside our room (but our room opens to the inside of the building) Breakfast is very nice with many options, including GLUTEN FREE ones!!! We would stay here again if we find ourselves in Keene again.

Stayed here one night and it was a good value for the money. Full breakfast in the morning was plenty and fresh and the hotel was clean. Only 1 hour to the Merrimack outlets and centrally located within Keene.

After finding a bed and breakfast we had planned to stay at not up to our standards, this hotel was a great place to stay! The staff are friendly, rooms are quiet (we were very close to the lobby, fitness center, and laundry), and the many options for breakfast were delicious!

Convenient to travel routes and city of Keene this hotel is clean and well run. Priced competitively it features the amenities you will need. Breakfasts are complimentary and kept well stocked yet fresh. Staff is friendly. Rooms are comfortable. My preferance is the rooms in the high 160's to 170's away from the lobby and restaurant. Ample free parking is available with controlled entrances convenient to room locations.

There appeared to be 2 different functions and the level of noise throughout the night was unbearable. Unbelievable that so many people were that inconsiderate and that the hotel did nothing about it.

I rate this hotel very good or better than average due to the large bathroom, large work station and plenty of electrical outlets where you need them. Rooms are a bit small but work well, they are nicely furnished and the place was quiet and clean. There is an attached restaurant but I did not use it. The free breakfast was good consistent with these types of hotels. There was nothing special about this hotel but it was clean, functional, had good work space, was quiet and everything worked.

Recently stay over in Keene to ride the Ashuelot River Bike Trail and hike Mt. Monadnock. Room was clean, fridge didn't seem to work, had a microwave also. (Didn't use) One side of hall was smoking the other non smoking but in the hall you could smell stale smoke air. Maybe try no smoking rooms and smokers can go outside. Grounds were maintained. Plenty of dogs! Right off of route 101 east bound, handy. Breakfast had a nice variety, quick and easy. Seemed to accommodate state road workers that night. Some one must have set the next rooms alarm clock cause it kept going off for an hour! Didn't use the pool, but had stay one other time and it was nice.

Stay here every year for golf trip. Lot of renovations over the years. Smallish but clean rooms. Restaurant food just average. Breakfast, decent, continental plus. Friendly staff. Nice bar in restaurant. Heated indoor pool is nice.

Room was a decent size, clean and tidy. We did like that there was a sliding glass door to go outside of our room. Made taking our dog out alot easier! Staff was friendly and even checked in with us once we got to our room to make sure everything looked ok. Overall good experience.

Got there around 4pm and was greeted by delicious warm cookies. Registration staff very friendly. Rooms comfortable and clean. The room for the indoor pool was too warm to make the pool tempting. Dinner with drinks at Waxy's was delicious and not expensive. Breakfast was well above average and staff were very friendly. We like to walk a bit and there is really no good walking easily accessible.

I've stayed at this location a number of times always experiencing a pleasant stay. The rooms are kept clean and the staff are always accommodating. Breakfast looks fresh and displayed in a caring manner.

Arrived late one evening at last minute and staff was very helpful. The hotel was clean and well-kept. It had an indoor pool and free breakfast in the morning. Access to the rooms was easy with multiple entrances. Beautiful little town and nice place to stay that is convenient to downtown area.

Not a bad stay. Wasn't the cleanest, wasn't that modern, but it was "comfortable ". Nice restaurant and lounge on site. Large outdoor sitting area! Nice kept pool area. I slept really nice. Wasnt very loud even being close to heavy traffic. I would go again.

I came here with my son for a baseball tournament. The hotel was convenient to the athletic fields, not far from the highway. It is very well maintained. As a budget hotel, I thought I got much better value for my money than at some more expensive places. Every member of the staff has been very friendly. Public spaces and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Although it had lots of high school athletes, the room was very comfortable. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Been coming to this hotel for 6 years now and I won't ever stop coming. Fantastic staff, service, rooms and amenities. They offer me and the guys a wash station for our bikes, towels and even kick plates for out kick stands. But it's the general manager that keeps us coming every year. He takes us for a ride every year on the back roads and even joins us for dinner 1 of the nights we stay. I don't think we ever have a conversation for less than a half hour at the least. Mr. Mayur Patel, the guys and I thank you for all you do for us and the fantastic job you do with your hotel. We will see you next year!

Great place, quiet, and the Irish pub inside the hotel serves great food. Breakfast comes with overnight stay, and it was great also. Service was speedy. Excellent place rest with plenty of things to do. Beds were comfortable and no door banging like I hear in other hotels.

Stayed in a non smoking room with one king size bed. Room was nice size and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. All of the staff are friendly and courteous. We have stayed here a couple of times and will continue to do so each time we visit Keene.

We were offered a deluxe room. It was spacious and clean. We were pleased to find a restaurant, Waxy O'Connor's, in the building so we didn't have to leave the premises for dinner. The mattress was a bit too soft, but otherwise the room was perfect.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for one night recently and had a truly deplorable room. All the other hotels in the area were completely booked. For this reason, we paid a hefty premium for our room. I assume that the hotel was super full and they gave us a room that is not normally in rotation because it was just terrible. The carpet was ripped in several places. The wallpaper had a big peeling patch and stains all over. There were dog nose prints all over the sliding glass door and the blackout panel had been punctured (by dog claws?) so many times, there was light bleeding through everywhere. The wood was rotted so badly around the door that we were afraid to use it - fearing it might just fall out. The upholstered chair in the room smelled like a sewer. (Maybe a dog accident?) The mattresses were very old and uncomfortable. The worst thing was that there was perfume added to the A/C unit. Probably to cover the bad smells in the room. Every time the A/C cycled on, we would all be sneezing. The front desk clerk spent forever with each guest talking about herself!! She was a very nice person, but there was a line. She should have been working to get people through the line as quickly as possible. When we were assigned a room with a slider to the parking lot, I told her that this made me uncomfortable and asked for another room location. The clerk told me that the hotel was one story and that every room had a slider to the parking area. When we drove around to the back where the rooms were located, it was a two-story hotel. Did she think we wouldn't notice? The rooms were not sound-proofed and it was loud. A nearby guest started his rattle-trap truck in the parking lot directly outside our room at 5am, but did not depart until 5:30. We were all awoken and could not go back to sleep. Be advised that the room description says that it has a private patio area. Instead there was 18-24" of stones outside the slider with no outdoor furniture anyway. The common areas of the hotel were fine. The breakfast was a typical chain hotel breakfast. The bathroom and entry were clean and had been updated, but the rest of the room was truly awful.

Not so long ago we were at the Best-Western in Keene and made a little detour to be at this hotel again and again we were very impressed.Hotel is great,beautiful,an incredible breakfast,pool-water at 90 F.,good workout room and the newspapers in the morning.Twice we had a very nice room and we could check-in early.Staff is very professional and helpful.

When you plan a trip to Keene and you want great value and a comfortable place to stay, you can't beat the Best Western. Keene is a great place to visit, close to Vermont and it offers a great environment for both families and singles. Downtown has a great variety of shopping and restaurants.

Stayed at this motel while in Keene for business. All other options were booked due to a college function. The entrance of the motel that entered the building my room was situated in had a bunch of bikers camped out by it. Nice people but it was a bit of the typical motel clientele. The room was spacious and comfortable, definitely a motel that was being dressed up so a higher rate could be charged. The entrance to the floor was linoleum. The bed was comfortable, but soft. Bathroom accoutrements were average quality. The front desk staff were polite, but not as polished as you would have at a more upscale property. In a pinch not a bad place to stay, but don't arrive thinking this is a hotel.

I am a frequent business guest at this hotel. I stay 3-5 nights each time. The location is very convenient but over the years Keene has grown and the highway is now noisy and the traffic exiting the hotel is dangerous.The rooms are clean, upgraded and the service is great.

In brief: The hotel and restaurant staff is what made the biggest positive impression. Helpful, personable and professional. The restaurant had great food and drinks. The room was in excellent move-in ready condition. I've stayed there before and will again!

Hotel was very reasonably priced and had what we needed. It was in the right area also. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast had several choices to please just about everyone. Pool was heated which helped with the relaxation after driving.

I have always found Best Western hotels to be good, this one included. I can definitely recommend the restaurant (Waxy O'Connors) but be aware the helpings are NOT small - grin! nontheless the food was excellent!

Outside of a glitch checking in, where they only had one reservation, when we made two, this place is the best place to stay in Keene. We come up every spring, on a golfing excursion and stay here, Why? Well, It has value (reasonable cost per night), absolutely great beds, ample size rooms, a pool, lounge area inside and out, including a gazebo, workout room and a breakfast that is an enhanced continental breakfast. Restaurants across the street and less than 8 minutes to central square. Everything you would want ... so why go anywhere else.

We have stayed in this hotel a few times. Love the renovations! Staff is always professional, friendly and helpful. Convenient to all, great parking. Great place to stay when visiting my Keene State student!

We had a lousy room in the dog-friendly wing of the hotel. The room was run-down with holes in the carpets and scratched walls. The windows were filthy with previous dog nose prints. We were charged a $20 a day pet charge up to a $100 per week maximum for a long term stay. They obviously pocket this money and do nothing extra with it as far as de-dogging the rooms after guests leave. We were also "guaranteed" a reduction on this $20 a day dog charge by reservations personnel after a simple post-check-in chat with a manager. When this was attempted, the manager said the reduction was the $100 per week maximum. Nothing more was forthcoming. The room was cold and drafty. We had the misfortune for our stay to coincide with the coldest winter weather and the room was cold before that. We had to remain on the beds to keep warm. With the heat cranked up, the bottom two feet above the floor were frigid. The shower would not provide enough hot water for both of us to bathe one after the other. When we complained to the front desk, the maintenance guy who arrived said that management had directed the water temperature reduction but that he had had so many complaints that he had turned the temp back up. Luckily this worked and it stayed that way for the remainder of our stay. The only highlight of this place is the attached but unaffiliated Waxy OConnors restaurant and the helpful front line staff of the hotel. We got out of here as quickly as we could find another pet-friendly hotel in the area. If you have dog, stay away from this place..

The hotel is okay for a night. The room was clean. It was close to Keene, but not really walkable because it is on the other side of the highway. Walking across the traffic circle and through the shopping plazas on the other side to get to the town or college looked like you'd be taking yout life in your hands. I am particularly annoyed by the hold placed on my checking account for the price of the room. It is my checking account and I need to have access to the funds. I prepaid for the room and they put the hold there for incidentals. But 3 days after check out it is still there. I used no incidentals.

This is the third time we've stayed at this hotel and it is our go-to hotel in Keene. The renovations that were ongoing during our last visit (two years ago) are done and the place looks fantastic! As for the rooms, they are basic but they are clean, neat (looks like the bathroom floors have been retiled since we last visited), include a microwave and fridge, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast is included - it's a basic self-service buffet style, and had everything from pancakes and waffles to cereals (hot and cold) to eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt...you get the idea! 24 hour free coffee bar. Wi-Fi is also free for guests. Relatively quiet, though we could hear toilets flushing in nearby rooms and showers being turned on in the mornings (something we didn't have an issue with on previous stays). The hotel is a 5 minute drive from downtown Keene, and is near several shopping areas - there's a WalMart and a RiteAide nearby for anything you might forget, and there's a Market Basket for snacks and groceries nearby. NH State Liquor Store within driving distance. Lots of restaurants near the hotel, as well as in Downtown Keene. There is also a restaurant/pub on the hotel premises. One final thing. Staff is extremely friendly, so much so that we noticed it. Reception clerk graciously agreed to change our original room assignment when we noticed the one we had been given was next to the guest laundry area and we were worried there might be noise. And the cleaners always said good morning each day when we saw them, as did the person who was taking care of the breakfast buffet area. As I've said, this is my go-to hotel for Keene and I wouldn't think of staying anyplace else when we go there! Comfy, conveniently located, and good bang for the buck (hint, if you have a AAA card, ask for the AAA rate, it'll save you some $$$)!

The room was comfortable and clean; quiet as well. Great complimentary breakfast. I particularly liked the sausage and eggs. Very satisfying after a workout; the fitness room had choices of equipment and both towels and filtered water were supplied. Easy access to highways.

Great area of the world. Very nice hotel and great staff. If you are in the area this is the place to stay. Close to the highways and also close to the downtown area. Very good restaurant in the hotel and just down the street Jim's Eddies and also excellent.

Room was clean an quiet. One night stay passing through town. They have a free breakfast which we did not partake in. Upper floor away from elevator is worth asking for to cut down on hallway traffic and noise.

we give this Best Western top marks...our best recommendation ......we will be staying here on our next trip through the state of New Hampshire ......quiet, clean, reasonable .......shopping convenience and close to major routes

We needed a place to stay while visiting family nearby. This hotel really fit the bill. Initially we wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast. This wasn't available, so we chose the Best Western in Keene, NH. We were impressed with the value. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. We liked it so much that we booked another stay.

This hotel was just right for our one night stay recently in Keene, NH. Room/bathroom were fairly clean but furniture/furnishings definitely could be updated/freshened up, looked worn and tired. Fold out couch support frame was broken (though we didn't need to use it). Bathroom was small,when door was open, it blocked the bathtub/shower. Toiletries were sparse/low quality. For $152.00 (all in), good value for very short overnight stay.
