    « Best in KC »

Amazing everything! Star the bartender is awesome. We had family in town for funeral, got the bereavement rate. They let us gather in the lobby lounge area to mingle with each other. On both nights we were there we all were down in the lounge area talking, lots of seating and a wonderful atmosphere. There is a two-story waterslide for the kids and the grown ups too. All of the staff was wonderful I will definitely stay there again if we are ever nearby. Highly recommend.

    « Great Stay! »

We loved this hotel! The breakfast was amazing, which is important for my family of 4, it also saves a lot of money. Our room was spacious and clean, the pool was very fun with a waterside, the employees were nice. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

« Updated Rooms make for a nice stay »

This hotel is a good value for being so close to downtown and the convention center. It is not new and posh - but is clean and rooms are quite nice - equipped with coffee maker, micro. and fridge. Good value

    « Maid service »

Excellent hotel, great room. Would have been a wonderful stay had they provided maid service, Wasn't very happy about that. A note seemed to imply that our schedule wasn't convenient for them, so they skipped us,

    « Excellent hotel experience »

I could not be happier with my stay at the Best Western. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me after I made an error in scheduling. Everyone was so kind and attentive. Both of the rooms I stayed in were beautiful and spacious and the whole facility was spotless.

    « Moving across country »

Right across the street from sports stadium! Clean, good service, and a lovely free omelet breakfast. With in walking distance from a couple nice restaurant's without having to cross any major streets. Would definitely recommend.

« Great value and very nice, clean hotel »

The hotel was clean and nice, and had a more upscale feel than most Best Westerns we've stayed in before (it is a Premier). The breakfast food was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Check-in was simple, the bed was comfortable. Overall, a wonderful stay and we will stay here again!

« Very Nice and New »

We love this hotel! We stay on 3rd floor with the balcony that over looks Kansas Speedway! Such an easy short trip to the track and plenty of restaurants nearby. Oh yea, and the CASINO!! We recommend this place to everyone!

« Best Western Preimier - Great Choice »

The pool had a water slide which my son loved. The breakfast was good however the same everyday including Sunday. Clean hotel, friendly staff. I stayed for a week with my 10 year old son. He felt he was living in luxury.

    « Nice Place »

Very nice stay. Likes that all staff was so happy and friendly. Rooms cool and clean. A location was the reason for the stay. Breakfast was ok i would have liked more choices. Next time I am in the area will stop by because of service.

« Perfect stay as always »

I've been to this Best Western many times and have never had a bad experience. Very clean. Staff extremely gracious and friendly. I love having fresh water and iced tea waiting in the lobby. Bar staff, Starr especially, very friendly and knowledgeable. This is the perfect location also, right beside Legends.

This hotel is in a very good location, has great staff to answer questions and provide directions, clean rooms and comfortable beds, better than average breakfast. I stayed for business but would like to return around Christmas for the shopping at Legends

    « Amazing all around »

Angie at the front desk was AMAZING! She went out of her way to help me. Great customer service. Beautiful Hotel and décor.Love this hotel.!!!! And the Location???? OMG If I could ever get my corp office to schedule meeting at race time would be freaking amazing. Literally feet from inside the track. You could say you were at the races from the balcony and not even buy a ticket. Wished pool, hot tub were bigger and lighting was better but they did the trick..

    5
    « Perfect Location »

This hotel was perfectly located for the people I needed to see in the Kansas City area. The environment was pleasant and the staff very helpful and welcoming. The room was well-appointed. I'll definitely be back!

« Best hotel stay ever! »

When making reservations for this hotel we forgot to ask about parking with a boat. The front desk said the hotel was almost full but let us park in the hotel's check in area, nice! The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the surround sound system was a nice touch. First hotel I've stayed in with surround sound. Being Labor Day weekend the hotel was full of kids, yelling and running down the hallways but once our door closed we didn't hear a sound.

« Do not pass up this hotel!!!! »

Everything about this experience was amazing. When I first called I used the number on Trip advisor and ended up calling a customer service number that is used to book reservations not the actual hotel. After booking my reservation through this system I immediately searched for the number of the actual hotel. Due to the time we were arriving and the short notice of the booking and I wanted to be assured that everything was set in stone before making our trip. The staff was more than accommodating to our needs. After calling the hotel Kim answered the phone and was very helpful. She scheduled my early check in and assured me she would tell the person coming in after her our plans so there was no confusion. Needless to say when we got there everything was taken care of. Our room was ready and so were our keys and check in was very quick and simple. Tiffany was the front desk clerk when we arrived and she did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible including letting us borrow a box fan (my husband and I forgot ours and cant sleep without it.) Every employee we communicated with was extremely friendly and helpful. At one point our keys to our room stopped working and Christine fixed them for us immediately so there was no inconvenience. The rooms were clean and stocked nicely. Oh did I mention they have a two story slide in the pool area. It was crowded when we first arrived but by later that night it had cleared out and was the perfect experience for my husband, daughter, and I. This hotel really is better than a home away from home and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Beds were comfortable, shower was amazing, beautiful hotel and super convenient location. The hot breakfast provided was delicious and had a ton of options. Check out was quick and simple. We absolutely will be staying again in the future most definitely.

    « Great Hotel & Great Location! »

Love this hotel. Always stay here when we travel across country. Fantastic rooms and service plus a great breakfast!!! Location is very good and easy to get in and out of plus great restaurants in the area.

    « Great location »

this hotel was well situated for the things we were doing in KC. Breakfast was good but the hotel was slammed our first day and they ran out of food around 8:00. There seemed to be only one person handling the refill and clean up as well as the behind the scenes preparation and it took at least 15-20 minutes to get items restocked. Pool and water slide were a lot of fun!

    5
« Nice hotel, good pool, tasty buffet, close to shopping and attractions »

We were looking for a moderate hotel with a nice pool that was close to Schlitterbahn and the Legends Outlets. This hotel was nice and fit the bill perfectly. The beds were extremely comfortable! A great nights sleep was had by all. The pool even had a waterslide that the kids played on. There was also a hot tub, although we could not figure out how to get the jets on. Please post a sign with instructions. It was confusing what turned on what (slide vs jacuzzi). The buffet breakfast was also very tasty. They even had a pancake making machine (first time I ever saw that). Very cool. If I was in the area again, I would consider coming back to this hotel.

« Will probably stay again »

Upon arrival, we were told our room was not ready (maid in an accident). After waiting 2 hours we were able to check in. The rooms were very nice and spacious with comfy beds and pillows. One of our TVs did not work, but was not a problem. The staff is very friendly. If I need to go to KC again, I will probably check availability at this hotel.

« Very good place to stay »

We stayed 7 nts toward the end of June thru the 4th of July. Check in was handled well and we always looked forward to complimentary beverages in the lobby. Our room air conditioner was maybe the best and coldest we've had anywhere. Pool: While we went in occasionally to use the hot tub over the week spent I did take notice of the same paper cups and orange peels on the floor under the slide. No one seemed to have noticed and picked up. It was hit or miss with towels as we noticed many people wrapping one or two around them and leaving the pool area. Therefore it was going to take the staff that much longer to get and clean them. Housekeeping: While all in all good service was uneven. One day we had no service at all despite the fact we left early morn. and didn't return until night time. The hotel seemed very full around the 4th so I'm sure the staff had their hands full. Breakfast: This I looked forward to every morn. It offered everything your average person eats every day. Seating could be an issue if you showed up when everyone else was there so you were better off coming down early. If you came down during prime time you may have to wait on eggs and other hot items. Parking: Although there are signs around and they put an extra sign board out one day when the sports venue across the street was in use parking is on the honor system. We drove in one evening and witnessed a woman and her son drive in, park and literally run across the street probably running late for an event. I have trouble believing they were hotel guests. My wife stopped me from confronting them as I was powerless to stop it. Unless the hotel is going to post someone outside at certain times to challenge people driving in there's not much you can do to stop lazy behavior.

« Good but some areas worn and need attention »

I stayed at BEST WESTERN PREMIER KC Speedway Inn & Suites in July for 1 night. It was very popular with families - nearly all people staying here were families with young children. The lobby was welcoming, with a counter for coffee/tea, ice water and ice tea 24 hrs a day. Counter staff was very helpful and efficient although she had to attend to several customers and answer the phone calls. My room with King bed had half the floor area tiled, the other half carpeted. There was a fridge (it was leaing some water) and microwave oven. There was also speakers in the ceiling, although the coonecting station was loose and could be removed from the wall. Air conditioner was powerful and kept the room cool, even though it was 95 degrees outside. The bathroom had the regular ammenities and an exhaust fan. Breakast was fairly extensive - included hot items like sausage & gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, as well as yogurt, cereal, make yourself oatmeal with raisins, brown sugar and walnuts, orange juice, bread and bagels with cream cheese, and make your own waffle. But it is served only till 9am - please extend it till 9:30 or 10am. I used the gym, which had 2 treadmills (one wasn't working) and a weight station. There was also an indoor pool and hot tub, although I did not use it. This is a Premier BW and shows it, but some ammenties in the room and public areas are broken or worn out. So a remodeling is due.

    « Great stay »

Came to town for a concert for 2 days; so happy we came here. Our first night we didn't get there until 3am; the night person, Ester, was very friendly. Room was great, bed was amazing. Bar looked nice, but we unfortunately didn't get to use it. I wish the pool stayed open a little later, because it was constantly filled with kids splashing, making it a little hard to just relax, but it's for everyone to use, so I can't complain too much.

    « Family weekend trip »

Great location to shopping, restaurants, soccer stadium. Hotel staff was very friendly. Breakfast food was very good. Rooms were clean and updated décor. Only downside was that you couldn't check in early to your room. Fresh ice tea and hot/cold water in the lobby was nice feature.

    « Highly recommended »

Great customer service, clean rooms with comfortable beds, altogether very accommodating. Location is perfect for being at the legends; they have a shuttle that runs till 1am if you want to go to the casino or out for drinks. Pool has a slide, which the kids loved. Breakfast was good too.

« Great Place to Stay »

This is a great place to stay. The young woman that checked us in was very sweet and knowledgeable about the area. It was in the perfect location for us near the giant Cabela's store. If you are in town and enjoy hunting, you should check it out, too. There are several places to eat near this location and shopping choices as well. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The water slide at the pool was a bit of a rough ride. It slung you around as you went down and emptied out into water that is over 5 feet deep. You might want to consider this before encouraging small children or senior citizens to enjoy it. Otherwise the pool was nice. The only other problem we had with this hotel was the breakfast time. It was clearly posted in many places. We stayed there on July 3rd which was a Sunday. We got up early on July 4th to start our long journey planning on the weekday early breakfast time. We were surprised when we arrived downstairs to the lights out in the breakfast area. One nice gentleman was working on getting breakfast out. He informed us that breakfast didn't start until later. I pointed at one of the many signs that contradicted his statement, and he said that they start breakfast later on holidays. That would have been fine if we were told about it at checkin. They should also post the change on the many signs. He did let us get something to eat and turned the lights on for us. He even told us when he got the hot items ready. In conclusion, I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to others.

« Great Location and Very Nice Best Western Hotel »

I recently stayed here for a Sunday evening when the Sporting KC soccer team was home playing an evening game. You are literally across the street from the stadium so the location is fantastic for that main reason. This hotel is another in the line of the Premier line of Best Western....which means this.. better bedding rooms, amenenties throughout and usually very updated and tech savvy. I stayed in a 2queen bed suite room. It has two TV's which is nice, but there isn't a well between the bed rooms and the other Tv room so its kind of a competition for sound etc. The room had a fridge and microwave and good sized bathroom so it may be worth the extra dollars for families. Strengths: Location, newness factor....helpful staff...nice indoor pool that has a slide and a good hot tub as well as adjacent work out room. Front desk is polite and responsive. I complained about a non working TV and also the internet didn't work for 90% of the time spent there and the front desk reduced my bill and answered my request to fix the TV. Good staff and willing to work to get things right Suggested improvements: The eating area for the free breakfast is simply too small, not enough staff and not enough tables and chairs to keep things moving. The pool area needs to be cleaned more than once in the evening and/or morning...dangerous spills and too much trash left by people by the time we arrived at 2pm?

« A year later still a great place to stay-they do things right. »

We stayed for four nights starting on July 2 recently. This is our second visit as we were here in July of 2015, also. We were very happy to see nothing has changed. This is still a great place to stay. The staff is the same, is still excellent and they even remembered us. They did everything to make our stay enjoyable and were successful again. They make us feel welcome and appreciated while providing super service. We will return again for soccer, shopping and other KC activities.

« Nice place to stay in Kansas City »

We looked for a place close to Shlitterbahn for a weekend visit. This hotel is very close with easy access on/off the highway. They have a pool with a small slide and hot tub, they are both indoors...great for cold weather but not so great if you like to enjoy the sun while you swim. A nice breakfast is offered with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes made to order, yogurt, toast and pastries. Also, fresh strawberries and blue berries to add to yogurt or oatmeal. Quiet rooms with no noise from the nearby stadium. Only downside was the A/C. We like to keep our room pretty cool and even though we had it turned down as low as it would go it never was cooler than 68 degrees. After a long day at the water park and a little too much sun a cooler room would have been nice.

    « Stay Enjoy Repeat !!! »

We have been blessed to have been able to stay at this super nice property a second time. Our kids love the pool with tube slide and the hot tub and the 3rd floor room with balcony. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast crew was not rushed and continually stocked items well passed the deadline. We will definitely visit here again when we are in the area.

    « Convenient. »

We like to stay at this hotel when we attend Sporting KC games. It is the closest property to the stadium. Our kids love the waterslide in the pool area. The breakfast is always a bonus. They even have a fountain pop machine! The rooms are getting a little run down. The granite table tops make it look a tad nicer than it is. Overall, for a cheap place to stay that is close to the stadium, it was fine. Our room even had a balcony that faced the stadium. The players arrive directly across the street and have their vehicles valeted. Our kids enjoyed seeing them pull up.

« Great value for the money »

Recently stayed there for a quick family vacation. We were headed to Schlitterbahn and wanted to stay nearby. The location of this hotel is great, with Legends outlet, the speedway and ballpark literally right across the street. You can enjoy the water park and get in some great shopping as well as satisfy your appetite with the many restaurants in the area. If you're planning on going to Shlitterbahn, be sure and get a coupon code to save off he gate admission. The property itself is nice and clean. The rooms are slightly larger than your normal double bed room. The bathroom and shower are very nice with up-to-date amenities. I especially love the Bath and Body Works toiletries. We didn't get a chance to take advantage of the free breakfast buffet as it is open from 6-9 a.m. and we didn't wake up in time. The bar area is nice and the tea and water available in the lobby is a nice touch for when you come in from the extreme heat outside. I would definitely return to this property again the next time I'm planning a trip in that area.

« Great location, but really showing it's age!!! »

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past years. The location is wonderful for any activities in the Legends area, Schlitterbahn, etc. The pool was neat years ago but has been so crowded on our last two visits that our kids could not even swim. The rooms are very beat up now. Stains all over the carpets and chipped furniture. The hot breakfast is a bonus; however, each morning the hot items were gone and very slowly replaced, if at all. Two of the three mornings, pancake batter never got replaced, which disappointed the kids. The sink in our bathroom did not drain the entire duration of our stay. By the 2nd night, the entire room smelled like human waste and it was coming from the clogged drain. I had air freshener with me, luckily. We did inform the front desk about the clog after the smell appeared. They did seem to get rid of the smell, but the sink was still nearly completely clogged. While all hotels can be noisy, we had people stomping on the floor above us all hours of the day/night as well as a boisterous family reunion that hung out by their RV in the parking lot late into the evening outside of our window. Very disappointing.

« Weekend with Grand Kids »

If you want a lovely hotel with all the comforts of home, or wish you had at home with ambiance plus at an affordable price, this one is for you. Beautiful, up to date hotel with all the extras. The staff was attentive and courteous to young and old and went so far as to give my grand daughter a couple of batteries for her iPod. I loved the welcoming feel from the staff throughout our stay.

« Good price, excellent location, friendly staff »

This was a nice place to stay if you're visiting kc. It was close to the mall and the staff was very friendly. The pool was a big concern for me, as there is a large water slide and no lifeguard. My kids are also young and haven't learned to swim yet. At the time we went the pool was empty and I was able to help the kids get to the side without any trouble. As a Midwesterner (overweight) I wasn't able to get as much speed going down the slide as my kids, but it was still fun. The checkin staff was very friendly and they gave us coupons to a local dining establishment, which saved us some decent coin. We stayed in a king suit and though it didn't have a completely separate room the dividing wall was enough to make it feel like two rooms. They have some interesting tech in the room attached to the TV which I didn't invest enough time in to understand. It looks like you can plugin a wide array of devices to feed the TV. They also have some kind of amplifier hooked up so the sound is directed to speakers on the other side of the room. I will consider them again next time I need to stay in kc.

    « Nice place! »

BW Premier KC speedway stay was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool with water slide was a huge hit with the kids. Suite was large enough for our family of 6 to be comfortable and the amenities were plentiful. Room was clean and had fresh linens on beds plus pullout but the floor could have been more thoroughly vacuumed - found m&ms under the coffee table when we moved it to pull out the sofa bed. Complimentary breakfast was good - exceeded my expectations but skip the pancakes and go for a muffin or cinnamon toast. Check out was fast and friendly. Location is easy to get to off interstate and is close to shopping, food and entertainment.

    « Best Western Stay »

No complaints - hotel is very nice. Have already recommended to others; would stay there again for sure. Need to organize the breakfast items a little better (tea bags should be located by hot water).

    « Pleasurable »

In a great location. Lots to do around the immediate area.Allowed to check in early. 1 block from speedway and across the street from the soccer arena. The pool/hot tub needs some repairs as the tiles are missing.

« Breakfast in the lobby? »

This hotel was OK. We had room 223, with a king sized bed, no smoking. The room was comfortably sized, the bathroom was adequate, the bed was comfortable. The heating and air conditioning actually worked well. Adequate space to put things, and amenities such as ironing board and hairdryer and coffee pot. The bathroom comes with shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, footies and shower cap. Their vanity package gave us a laugh, however. It gives you two cotton balls and two swabs. The soundproofing leaves a lot to be desired. Thin walls and doors could have been beefed up. However, we were blessed that all those with little children, and any partygoers, seemed to call it an early night, so we slept well in spite of it. The lobby comes equipped with free coffee, tea, and water pots, but no munchies. Those you can buy in the alcove next to the front desk, along with bottled drinks. The only thing we found strange was that the breakfast nook was open to the lobby. Since the nook was quite busy, the lobby was quite noisy. The lobby rug had pieces of food ground into it from being tracked in by breakfast goers. As you checked in, you could watch people eating. The breakfast was standard hotel fare, but there was a lot of it and it was hot. The seating was a little different, since you could sit at a bar, or a cushioned seat wrapped around a pole (you could pull up chairs and a table), or low single tables, or high group tables. You could even sit in a family room type area and watch a big screen TV and I guess eat off your lap if you felt inclined. This all had the advantage of accommodating quite different sized groups. Since they seem to always be pretty busy, this is a plus. Just noisy. We would stay here again as long as we got their discount coupon. Its location is quite near State St., which seems the main thoroughfare to anywhere you need to connect up with.

    « Awesome stay!! »

We stayed in Kansas City for a mini family vacation. We stayed here because of good reviews we read about this Best Western and we were so glad we did. The staff went above and beyond! Especially Angie. We had a very minor issue with our room and she immediately fixed the issue. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfy and my kids really enjoyed the pool with the slide. The breakfast was wonderful! Great selection. If we travel back to this area we will stay at this hotel again!

    « Family Trip »

We loved the hotel, beautiful inside and out, fairly new. The rooms were large and comfortable. The beds were nice and the pool was fun. The pool slide was awesome! My one complaint, and what cost a star, was its poor handling of the breakfast bar. On weekends they serve Breakfast from 7am-10am. We came down with what had to be the morning rush, just before 9am. We were waiting in line, they ran out of eggs and gravy, two mainstays of the bar. So we were all left standing while the lady took them in back, disappeared for awhile, before eventually returning with eggs. I gave up waiting for gravy. Only one lady was bringing things out,'even though there were two others in the back too. Not sure what was going on. Poor handling of the breakfast bar. Anyway, overall we liked it, we'd recommend it and we'll probably stay again.

The pool was a lot of fun, great location and the staff were great! There were some sewer odor issues just in our room, so hopefully that gets fixed soon. They did provide a discount for the inconvenience. We will definitely stay there again because it is close to the Legends, but also close enough to go have fun in the city.

    « Best stay! »

Stayed here on our way back from CO. There was a snafu with the BW hotel in Hays, so we decided to drive a bit more to KC. So glad we did, Angie at the front desk was apologetic and kind. She offered us a few extras which really made our stay enjoyable. The hotel is nicely updated and clean as well. The coffee, tea, and ice water waiting at the door are welcome touches. Would definitely stay here again!

« Amazing customer service during our first time at Best Western Premier »

Due to traffic and a ton of construction zones (with no construction actually taking place) we arrived at this Best Western Premier at 9:40pm, after a long drive from Colorado. We had really been looking forward to taking our kids swimming in the pool to wind down after the long day, and we were arriving 20 minutes before the pool closed. In conversation I mentioned this to the woman working the front desk, and she said that she would be leaving early that night, but she would ask the woman working the night shift if she would mind keep the pool open a little longer. I was incredibly thankful, as were my children. They enjoyed the pool and waterslide the rest of the evening while it remained open and in the morning too, before check out. The hotel itself looks newer and was very clean. There are free drinks (coffee, tea, and water) available all day in the lobby. The rooms were large and comfortable for my family of 4. There is a complimentary breakfast in the morning, with the standard hotel food we're all used to. Overall we had a great experience, and I have the women at the hotel desk to thank for it.

« My First BW "Premier" Stay »

When you walk through the door, the atmosphere of this "Premier" property is impressive. I was greeted with a smile at the front desk and was in my room promptly. She even asked if I preferred the first or second floor. We had a double queen (no king available when I made my reservation) and the room was large and clean. Large HD TV mounted on the wall, with a true HD signal. The sound is connected to speakers in the ceiling above the beds. You can hear it without having the volume blasting. If you have video on a laptop, iPad, etc there are connections that allow you to connect to the TV. Sadly, I didn't have anything on mine to actually try it out. Overhead lighting is recessed over the head of the beds. The beds are very comfy and the carpet felt clean on my feet. Nice desk for the computer and a reliable Wi-Fi signal. There is a microwave, fridge, and safe in the room. There is also a single serve coffee pot, but it's location is ridiculous. It is so high, even my 6'2" husband could not use it. If you're gonna make coffee in the room, you'll have to take it down and move it to the bathroom. The bathroom is beautiful, with granite-look vanity and tub/shower surround. There is a swing-out make-up mirror mounted on the wall and I wanted to love this bathroom. Sadly, the lighting is terrible. We had at least one bulb not burning, but even it if had been working, the light would still have been too little. The shower head is one of those large "rain" heads. But it was a very gentle rain. If you're a woman with long hair, it's gonna take you a while to rinse the shampoo out. The towels and face cloths were good quality, however. When I went down for breakfast, I was smacked in the face with the sound from four different TV's tuned to four different channels. Just noise! I really hated it. The coffee was very good, but I had my bowl of cereal and got out of there as quickly as possible. We were only here overnight and did not try the pool, hot tub, or water slide. This would be a great place, if they put more light in the bathroom and did something with all those televisions in the breakfast area. But if not, I probably would not stay here again. I've had better stays in regular BW properties.

    « Very nice motel! »

The rooms are nice and clean. The motel is in an excellent location with great amenities I feel the breakfast staff was a little lax, but everything else was on point. I would definitely recommend this motel and will stay here again.

« Really good hotel and could be the best in the area. »

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is right across from the KC Speedway and Legends mall. The architecture and interior decoration blend rightly with the area attractions. The rooms are comfortable enough, nice beds and variety of pillows to choose from. The noise from outside and from other rooms is minimum so you get to enjoy some privacy. Air conditioning works fine, but noisy. Small but nice gym with everything working which is hard to find in many hotels and the pool has a two story slide which turns to be a nice attraction. The lounge is pretty nice and with excellent layout to allow people sit in front of 3 or 4 different TV comfortably. Breakfast food is limited in selection but I have to be fair and say the quality and taste is above of any of the same hotels with same score. The coffee available in the lobby is just great. From all the above mentioned I was pleased to be in this hotel but the "little problem" was: Cleanless. This facility receives so many guests that really needs to improve the cleaning of rooms, hallways and specially the pool. Just for that reason I would not rate the facility 3.0 stars, but instead only 2.8 stars.

Breakfast was YUM, Water slide was amazing! Guest services were excellent! Overall great hotel! We were only here for one night but I wish we could have stayed longer! Rooms were clean, we even received a crib that was in great condition.

« Wow! Indoor water slide! »

Amazing from the front door on! Huge, clean & lounge type lobby w/ bar, TV room, fitness, business & indoor swimming area with a huge water slide! Room was massive, clean, great bathroom w/ great water pressure & drainage. The location doesn't get any better either. Walking distance to shopping, lots of dining and so much to do! This will be our go-to hotel for this area!

« Great Place and Staff »

This place is one of my favorite hotels. Great Staff and amazing rooms at a decent price. I've stayed here twice now and will make it my main hotel for the area. Angela checked us in and she is amazing. She answered all my questions and guided us to a few different places in the area we had no idea where they were. I highly recommend this place and want to give another shout out to Angela! Give her a bonus / raise!

    « Great trip »

This hotel was very nice and clean. I had breakfast meetings all week so didn't use the breakfast but it looked good and not like most "standard" hotel breakfasts. Rooms were very clean, a stand in shower was very nice instead of a shower/tub combo for a change. All kinds of different dining options nearby.

    « Bad smell »

I checked in to Room 205 on Wed June 14th. I had booked two rooms and this one had a bad smell like sulphur. I immediately called the front desk and advised them. It was very strong. They sent a desk clerk right away who agreed the smell was very bad. She poured a blue liquid into the drain on the sink, tub, and toilet. She said to wait 15 minutes and the smell should go away. It didn't go away. I notified the desk that the smell was still there. I asked to be moved to a different room but they said no other rooms were available. I asked for an adjustment on the price of that one room and they said that they could not adjust the price when it was booked on Priceline.com. I feel I would be credited for that room as it gave me a bad headache the next day.

Everything was clean the hotel was amazing. The slide is very fast and I think is a salt water pool because the floor is extremely slippery, so be careful. The pancake achieve is pretty cool not super yummy but very neat.

« Clean room; fair price »

We were in Kansas City on family business and needed a hotel convenient to the southern and western suburbs and points south. The Comfort Inn fit that bill. It's not a luxury hotel; the building, though renovated a couple of years ago, is dated and a little shabby. It is not a four star hotel. On the other hand it's rates aren't four star, or three star, rates. We found the staff courteous and friendly. The rooms clean, and the building quiet. We could have used a couple more towels and we had to ask to have the shampoo and conditioner replaced (we were there several days), which they did. But, overall it was a comfortable stay. This is a three story hotel just yards off of 70 at an exit. We did not find the noise to be a problem. There is an indoor pool and a jacuzzi style tub, open 8-10 daily and a small exercise room open 24/7. The hotel offers a hot breakfast waffles and a hot dish as well as cereal and breads, but we did not eat it. There is a single entrance/exit and limited parking (although we were never without a parking spot). There are no restaurants in the immediate area. Going north on 78th street, under 70 and up several long blocks, takes you to a number of fast food restaurants, like a Sonic; and a Walgreens pharmacy. Taking a left at the Walgreens will take you to a food store (on the right going west), but it is some distance. We found no non fast food restaurants within easy distance. The closest were around the Speedway.

« Nice rooms, great pool »

The rooms were nice, which is to be expected at a hotel in this price range. The kids really enjoyed the pool and water slide, and we alo enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which included cold and hot breakfast foods.

    « Awesome as usual »

We've stayed here several times and have never had a bad experience. The hotel is modern, very clean and the staff are always accommodating, very friendly and the manager is very nice and always asks to make sure everything is ok. This last visit, there were no 2 queen bed rooms available; however, we were offered an upgrade to a queen suite with a balcony at no extra charge. The room was large, very nice, clean, with filtered water in the restroom, free Wi-Fi and a mini fridge. The kids love the pool with the slide, the hot tub and the work out room. There is a variety of restaurants near by as well as shopping at the legends right around the corner. I can't give this hotel enough praise, we prefer to stay only at the Best Western Premier in this area. I give this hotel a 5+ star rating.

« Best Western Premier Kansas City, Kansas »

One of the nicer Best Westerns that we have stayed in. The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. She asked our preference to which floor we wanted to stay. I mentioned wanting quiet and she was very informative about which area may have little children. The pool has a slide and we as adults even enjoyed it! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The mini-fridge was larger than I have had in the past. The breakfast was of good quality and taste. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel very much. We had a good experience for this stay.

Pool and slide was great fun. The facility is updated and well kept. The bed was comfortable with good quality linens. My daughter had wanted to stay at the Hampton, but was very impressed with this choice and would readily book again. There is a nice kid area off the breakfast room with kid television programs and movies.

« Love it! Bringing my family back! »

This is by far the nicest Best Western I have ever stayed at. I am used to staying at Marriott properties, but every place was full. I stayed at the Best Western Premier because of necessity. I was VERY surprised how nice it was. I will definitely be looking them up again. The pool and slide was amazing. This is a very family friendly hotel. Side note, the biscuits and gravy at breakfast were top knotch.

« Great place to stay »

We accidentally stayed here on the weekend of a race. One of two races a year. Whoops. We stopped on a whim during an 18 hour road trip with a toddler and a 15 year old dog. My husband went in a asked for a room and a lady at reception was a little shocked and found out fast we were asking for a room in a 99.9% booked hotel. There was one room left for appox. $400. My husband asked if they had a military discount and she said no, but she'll work on it. She discounted us to around $150. We had a wonderful experience in a clean and beautiful hotel. We used their indoor pool, fitness center, and ate at their breakfast lounge all really great. Wifi was a little spotty but what kind of wifi isn't at any hotel. The receptionist gave a coupon for a free kid's meal at a really cool dinosaur restaurant and all of us loved.

    « Easy comfortable stay »

This Best Western is new and staff is wonderful. Rooms, while not huge, are very comfortable, fresh and very clean. The breakfast, which is included, is the best I've experienced at this mid-level of hotel. Love that the scrambled eggs were real and freshly prepared. The property also offers many amenities and plenty of food options nearby.

I belong to a loyalty program of another hotel group but after my stay here I may switch. Excellent customer service, very well appointed room, fresh breakfast with real eggs, and the convenience of a bar for a nightcap. Indoor pool with hot tub and a small water slide. Short drive to airport, downtown KC and to the University of Kansas. We lots to do locally everyone in your party will be busy and know they will come back to a very nice property.

    « Always a great stay. »

This is the best hotel option for Sporting Kansas City games. It doesn't get more convenient than this location. Plenty of good amenities without being too big. I will even pay a bit more for this hotel if I have to based on it's location.

« Best place to stay for NASCAR weekends »

We have stayed here the last 6 times! We tried several others close by, but like this hotel the best. It is walking distance to the track. You can watch the haulers leaving after the races. The staff is great and the breakfast is wonderful.

    5
« Convenient place to stay for Nascar Races »

Very clean place, staff if very professional, friendly, and helpful. It is conveniently located to the race track and the soccer field. Plenty of good places to eat in the neighborhood. Complaints: Bar closes at 10, race gets over about 10. A cold beer would be welcome after the long walk. Motel needs to contract with a transportation company to provide for transportation to and from the race track as several of the near by motels do.

    « Definitely 21st century »

Our room was spacious and lovely. The breakfast was HUGE! Our grandkids loved the indoor pool and slide. Our only complaint was the noise that came right through our door. We were awakened more than once during the night as groups of college athletes passed back and forth outside our door. Loved the location - everything round was new and lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities.

I had to book this hotel last minute and it was actually my second choice but I'm so glad I stayed at BW Premier KC Speedway! The hotel is very convenient to get to. It's close to lots of attractions and restaurants and shopping! The hotel was was very pretty place and most importantly...clean. It felt welcoming right when you walked in and the staff greeted me right away. The room was very well equipped with everything you might need (or forget to bring). This was a great home away from home.

    « Pleasantly Satisfied »

Date of stay: 4/6/16 and 4/7/16 While traveling on business I stayed at this Best Western. Until now I'd never heard of a "Premier" level property and I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel nicer than I might have otherwise expected of a more budget concious hotel chain. The Best Western Premier KC Speedway Inn and Suites is reasonably posh. A large, comfortable lobby includes a small full service bar, breakfast area and down the hall a mini-gym, pool (out of service this visit) and the meeting room we used for our conference. Rooms are large and include suites, some with balconies. My room was comfortable and clean. The weather was warm enough yet not hot and it was nice to be able to open the window for a fresh breeze. The bed and linens are nice although the bed was a bit on the soft side for my liking. The only area of improvement I might suggest is in the lighting as the room was not bright at all. In fact, I would suggest the room was on the dark side even with all lights lit. For families or "Gamers" an added benefit to rooms at this property is that the medium sized flat screen includes an amazingly robust I/O system which might otherwise be found on the television but in this case would allow one to connect almost any system which would sit on a dresser located under the TV. Speakers over the beds would enhance the audio nicely. In the end, our two night stay was nice. The ubiquitous breakfast decent. The service excellent. I would recommend this Best Western.

« Beautiful hotel, easy walk to Cabela's »

We stayed here on our way to go turkey hunting. Lovely hotel. The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable. The whole facility was immaculate. Breakfast was very good. Staff was great except the person running the bar who was rude. We arrived a couple minutes before closing at 10, hoing for one glass of wine. We got "we're closed" barked at us. No "I'm sorry, we're closed already." Otherwise, this is a great hotel. Would happily stay here again.

« Appearances are everything these days »

Lobby sounds are easily heard upstairs, since the open lobby prevents shielding. we were at the end of the hall, but the sounds were evident thru the door. The inattentive desk clerk, processing distress to a friend on the phone, prevented our being able to call the front desk to report the ice machine was off ! Rang & rang & rang. Had to go to the front desk to report it! They need to pay an appropriate wage to obtain careful staff. The bed had a pillow top, but underneath it, the mattress was not supportive at all, so the body collapses into the mush. Not much choice for bed-coverings: heavy comforter (excellent for arctic conditions!) or sheets. For us, not a great sleep - the main reason we were there.

« My family loved it! »

We are a family of 6 with kids ages being 9, 6, 5, and 1. We received a phone call about 2 hours before check in. The hotel had a family with a medical emergency and was looking for someone to take 2 king rooms instead of 1 double queen room so the family could stay another night. We had the flexibility to do that so we agreed to the change. The employee then thanked me multiple times and said he would reduce my rate from the $142 I had booked at to a total of $99 for both rooms. Upon arrival, a different employee thanked us multiple times for our flexibility. I appreciate that this hotel was willing to make accommodations for a family in need and that they were so appreciative to us for helping them make those accommodations. The hotel was clean and employees were friendly. My kids loved the big slide at the pool and the unlimited supply of ice water, pretzels, and mints in the lobby. I LOVED the location. We went to the area to attend a Real Salt Lake soccer match against Sporting KC. The hotel is literally across the street from the stadium. Not a half mile away across the street...right across the street! It is also near shopping and plenty of food options as well. My one complaint against the hotel is that their pancake maker wasn't working and my kids were disappointed. There were several other choices, so they survived! Overall a great experience!

« Nice place, not a suite with a door »

This place was great! The breakfast was amazing, the room was clean and smelled good. the whole staff was awesome. There is a lady who works the front desk (Christy or Christina?) She was amazing, best customer service I have ever had. She told us about everything around there. She suggested the casino down the road, several restaurants and even gave us her personal coupon for Sephora at the legends. We took her advice and had a great weekend! Will definitely be back next time we are in KC. I told my Mom In Law to book at BWP just because of Christy! Also, the GM ( a young Indian man) was just a doll!! Great place :)

I stayed here for a few days and the location was fantastic, staff nice, very clean. There were a few things in my room that needed to be fixed (shower extension hand held not working and the water filer faucet not working) though they were minor and did not make my staff uncomfortable. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

    « Great Stay »

Staff were friendly, but be advised make sure you book before you go. It was offered at $90/night, but as we still weren't sure what we were doing, as it was an almost spur of the moment thing, we didn't book it and then it cost us $159/night plus taxes, but after a 6 hr drive we just checked in. Room was great, one of the best we've ever stayed at, very clean, lots of room, bathroom was really roomy and smart. One small issue, in the room the heater was really loud, and it was set to blow really cold air, and nothing we did on the control panel helped. other than that really enjoyed our stay in Kansas City! Breakfast was great too!

« Things were a little off this time. »

We have stayed here multiple times, and have always been above pleased with our stay. Things were off this time.. the bathroom was dirty, rewards members weren't offered a soda at check in, kleenex box was empty, soap sitting in water in the tub, left over food in the fridge when we arrived, and gum down the side of one of our trash cans. Maybe they just have a bad housekeeper, because we have always always loved our stay... I did complain, and they knocked $30 off our bill, but I'm not sure that was enough, but we have never complained before, so we weren't sure what was fitting.

I recently stayed here for business and had a very good experience the rooms were clean and updated they were pretty roomy and the staff was friendly. If you're going to a soccer game or the racetrack this is an ideal location as you be able to walk to either venue

Beautiful, clean, well appointed room! Would highly recommend to other travelers! Hotel has beautiful decor and very reasonably priced. Good location close to restaurants and shopping right off of the freeway and near Speedway. Great breakfast and staff was very professional! I am very picky about hotels and this one made the mark!

Great Lobby, and Very nice rooms. It was my first stay at a best western. Was impressed and liked that it had a bar in the lobby as well. Very likely to recommend. Great Breakfast menu with lots of items on it.

I felt like Repunzel when I was on the balcony. Me and my family had a great stay. The indoor pool with the slide made for a great celebration for my twins birthday. Im glad we choose here instead of Great Wolfe the pool was open from 10am until 10pm.

In town on business and decided to stay here. Check in was a breeze. The rooms are big with lots of space. Very comfortable beds, shower worked great. I didn't stay for the breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Would stay here again if back in the area.

« ok, and awesome pool - but overpriced »

great location but despite the price and name, this is more of a budget hotel. It's pretty noisy, lots of families. Hard to get sleep after 7am. Breakfast was ho-hum, heater didn't work, not a lot of staff working. Pool is really fun w/ a water slide. it's a nice area for shopping, but you can find a nicer hotel for a lower rate downtown or in overland park

    3
    « Poor Breakfast »

The breakfast at this hotel isn't very good. The biscuits were cold and hard, the potatoes were cold and I could not get the Microwave to work! And we did not have adequate linens. We had extra toiletries, but only one washcloth each. We also had a bad experience with Best Western Reservations; the Customer Service person seemed to be unaware of what he was doing. We were cut-off twice while on hold and kept getting transferred to different departments. We finally gave-up on getting our free night due on our Reward Points. We had stayed here before and it was a good experience, so I don't know what happened between our two stays.

Service was great, fast, efficient, professional, and thorough. Room was clean and comfortable. Tessa, front desk, was efficient and pleasant and professional. She went out of her way, to show me where to park the P/U truck and trailer that I was pulling. She also made sure that I knew how to use the WiFi for my laptop.

We went to GWL(for the indoor water park) for a day and then switched hotels to Great Western! I would pick this hotel over GWL annnny day! The room was gorgeous and the bathroom was beautiful! Granite countertops and a nice sized tv!! Also has an iPhone adapter to the tv and radio! The pool is great too! My daughter is two and she loved the pool!

This hotel was great, clean and friendly. My only problem was with the heater and it did start working it just took a while. It is a great location for shopping, eating, or visiting the KC speedway. My fiance was ecstatic that they had a car on the shower door but be careful the shower will hit you with ice cold water at first with no way to avoid it.

« Weekend stay while attending a wedding »

Overall the hotel was great. The hotel appears to be relatively new, so the rooms were in good condition and modern. The property looked in good shape and well maintained. We didn't spend a lot of time using hotel amenities so I don't know about the pool or exercise room. Complimentary breakfast was good with a mix of hot and cold items. Would stay there again.

    « A major disappointment »

We booked this hotel due to previous positive reviews. The experience was negative from the very beginning. When I initially reserved the room, the attendant was rude and seemed bothered that I was calling. Upon arrival, I was impressed with a nice big open lobby. One of the few positives. We had a king suite. The couch and chair cushions had suspect looking white stains on them. I tried to turn them over and it was worse. We then went to check out the pool. It had trash and dead bugs floating in it. I informed the front desk and it was taken care of. When it was time to sleep on the first night I was going to sleep on the sofa bed and my wife and child planned to share the king. I was assured upon check-in that there would be ample extra bedding for the sofa bed. There was none. I tried to call the front desk to get some several times and could not get the call to go through from either the room phone or my cell phone. I had to walk down to the lobby in pajamas and ask for bedding. I was given king bedding for a double sofa bed. Also a stained pillow and a weird zip on pillow case that was also stained and dirty looking. Upon making the bed, it was quite possibly the worst sofa bed ever. It was slanted and not level. All you could feel were springs and wires. I moved the mattress to the floor which was only a slight improvement. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing spectacular. After breakfast I went to use the fitness facilities, 1 out of 3 machines were not working. The next morning the fitness room was out of towels. It also snowed our final night there, no effort was made by staff to clear any sidewalks or parking lots several hours after the snow had stopped. Common areas such as hallways and stairs were also very dirty and had trash up and down the halls on the final morning. Additionally, our room keys quit working at 10:30 and checkout was not until 11. I informed the front desk of this and got an aloof response. I am sure that the hotel will respond and say that "had the guest brought these issues to our attention they would have been addressed." Every time I brought something up the staff seemed annoyed. It was easier to just deal with it and move on. On a positive note, the hotel bar tender was excellent, one of a very few positives about the stay.

« Location good but that's about it »

Close to Speedway, shopping and across from soccer stadium, but other than that not worth the stay. Dark, worn halls. Grimy elevator. Dated decor, banged up furniture and poor lighting in actual room. While bed was comfortable, due to the worn linens I thoroughly checked the bed to make sure there weren't any surprise visitors. Won't ever be back!

This is the second stay at this hotel for us. The kids love the pool with the slide. The location is close to great restaurant and shopping options. The room was nicely decorated. We had two queen beds plus a sleeper sofa and each side of the room had a nice big flat screen TV. Great staff and clean rooms!

The snow/slush was not removed from parking lot. It snowed on Monday, and we arrived Tues. evening. It was very slippery that evening unloading. Wednesday am, the parking lot was the same. I drove up to front door so wife could walk in the slush as little as possible. She slipped backwards and hit her head on pavers making for a large goose egg. No one helped me to get her up. Another traveler went into lobby and told front desk there is a lady that has fallen and the motel has a big liability with the slush not being removed. Two employees finally came out after I went inside and told them what happened. I took pictures of the slush hazard and they had a yellow sign by one of the pillars that said Slippery When Wet and told me to take picture of it too. I did but told them that is no excuse for not shoveling the slush off the main entrance to lobby. I went to gas station and put ice in a Baggie and my wife kept that on her head as we traveled. Fortunately the ice brought the swelling down and she kept alert. I have stayed in many Best Westerns over the years, Basic, Plus, but Premier were not available were I traveled previously and I expected better from a Premier. I received a Survey and completed it. I received a standard response from Rashid M., General Manager, apologizing and hoping we would stay with them again.

We came on a family vacation with my husband and I and our 3 kids. This hotel was great for our family with 2 queen beds, and a sofa sleeper. The pool area had water slides and a hot tub, so we were able to relax a little while the kids played in the pool. It's also located very close to the outlet mall, and Schlitterbahn, and right next door to the baseball stadium. We wished we could have stayed a little longer to catch the game the night we left between our MN Twins and KC. But, unfortunately, we had to get home. The breakfast was great. With pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. and there is on-sight coin laundry if needed. Great place to stay.

« Hotel is nice, updated, and clean. Breakfast service needs lots of improvement. »

We stayed at this hotel over the holidays while visiting family in KC. We chose this location because it is next door to The Legends and the hotel had good reviews. The hotel lobby is well furnished with contemporary décor. The receptionist was very efficient and prompt in assigning a room. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well maintained. My complain was breakfast on two fronts. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage, hash brown potatoes, biscuits and gravy, assortment of breads, three types of cereal, pancake batter, sweet pastry, yogurt, apple juice, orange juice, coffee and a soda machine. We stayed for five days and same breakfast every day. The service was a problem. Every day, the juice containers were empty, they did not keep the hot items (eggs, biscuits, sausage, hash browns) refilled and the last day they had all items out at once! Maybe the hotel was not fully staffed or the staff needs to be re-trained. The hotel seemed to be pretty full so I don't understand how they could not prepare for a large crowd. Service was lacking every day. The staff is nice and at one point the front desk person had to come and help. Trash containers were full and not emptied out. I am not sure I will stay at this hotel next time we come to KC.

Stayed for the NCAA Div II Football Championships. Chose the hotel due to location and it did not disappoint. Easy, convenient parking. Clean hotel, good internet, better breakfast than most, nice lobby area and friendly staff. The hotel was full of nice football fans and the rooms were quiet. Pleasant stay and I can easily recommend to others looking to be near the Legends area in KC.

This weekend was the Division 2 National Football Championship, held for the second year, at Sporting Park, in Kansas City Kansas. This hotel is directly across the stree from the stadium that normally serves up world class soccer, is close to the NASCAR race track and shopping. With attendance setting a new D2 record of nearly 18000 , fans were looking for a nice place to stay and to celebrate with friends. Manager Rashid Mohammad and his staff were most accommodating and gracious in providing an outstanding area for Bearcats to have a tailgate and celebrate the 5th national win. Clean rooms, comfortable accommodations and an outstanding staff.

Hotel staff was great. Lobby area was super for our gathering. We were part of a wedding party and the hotel staff was wonderful about letting us gather in the main area. Hot water issues need to be addressed as most of us had luke warm showers. The pool area didn't open until 10 so I was unable to use the hot tub after working out.

Small hotel, but friendly staff, clean rooms, great pool with slide, and good breakfast. This was the nicest Best Western I have seen. Within walking distance of shopping, race track, and soccer arena. Had a problem with check-in but staff went over and above to fix the problem. It was a great stay! Only problem that I was bothered by is the pool was that closed for maintenance without warning our last day there. Other than that, it was fantastic!

    « not premier status »

This hotel doesn't live up to Premier standards.... First of all, when we walked into the room, we could visibly see hair and debris and the floor, as if the floor had not been vacuumed after the previous guest. Then as unpacking noticed there was dust all over the room. The room was very spacious and decked out in Granite. It just obviously hasn't been well kept, or they need to update the cleaning staff!! then what set it all the way off was, we noticed the mattress had red spots on them, so we further investigated and came to the conclusion this bed has bed bugs.... very upset I notified the front desk, who didn't seem to concerned about the issue.. they moved us to another room (after we packed all our stuff back up) we moved to another room on the 2nd floor, Where we noticed this mattress also has bed bugs, at that point my husband and I had enough and was checking out to go to a clean hotel with out bed bugs.. the front desk staff said that they were not aware of any bed bugs issues, but when we were getting in our car, we over heard another guest stating they were leaving as well due to bed bugs in their room which was on the 3rd floor. We will NEVER return to this hotel again!

Very easy hotel to get to. It is located in a village cluster of other hotels and retail businesses, near the Kansas city Speedway and Hollywood casino, but, in an out of city area off I-70. Hotel has a pool, guest laundry room if needed, kids or adults TV room, great buffet breakfast and very polite staff.

    « Very Pleasantly Suprised »

I am going to be totally honest and say that when my company booked me here, I was dreading it. But after getting there and checked in, just wow! Very nice and spacious. The rooms were done in marble with surround sound speaker systems, large TV's, an unbelievable bed. The bathroom was comfortable and spacious with lots of different toiletries for just about anything that could come up. The internet was fast and the staff were top notch. This Best Western has changed my attitude towards the Best Western Brand.

« bad sewer smell in room »

other than the bad sewer smell when we opened up the door to the room, everything else was fine. we were glad we had a balcony so we could open up the door and get some fresh air into the room. also, the clock had not been adjusted for daylight savings time, which we didn't noticed until we got up an hour earlier than we had to. we couldn't figure out how to change the time.

« I wanted to like this hotel but.. »

For me, the # 1 most important thing when it comes to a hotel is cleanliness. At first glance, it looks clean but anyone who is paying attention could see that it was only "surface clean" The bed I'm almost positive was simply made up from the previous occupants. There were several body hairs on the bed under the top sheet and the linens looked like they had been slept in. The mirror on the wall was covered in spots from who knows what. The towels weren't stocked. The shower door was very obviously not cleaned but just wiped off. The floor of the shower was REALLY disgusting . This hotel has all the bells and whistles but there is obviously a problem with the cleaning staff. If we hadn't been driving all night and just plain exhausted I would have went to another hotel. I can see why there are some mixed reviews here as I'm sure if the person who cleaned the room you stayed in was one of the good employees because aside from this it was a spectacular hotel. I hope management will address and correct this issue as we would love to come back to Kansas City sometime to visit and would consider staying here again as long as the room was properly cleaned.

We had never stayed at a B/W Premier, altho we have stayed at 15 or more B/W in the past 12 months - usually choosing a Plus. This place at a bar in the lobby and even in our room on the 2nd floor w/the TV on - the bar noise was heard in our room until nearly midnight. Room was dusty and towels were not sufficient.

    « October NASCAR Weekend »

Arrived 4 hours prior to check in, due to start of NASCAR race. Staff and hotel manager went out of their way to make us feel at home, and comfortable. Even encouraged us to pre-race tailgate (in a respectable manner) in the parking lot, and other guests joined us for a while. Hotel location is exceptional in relation to the distance to the track...maybe half a mile to a track tram pick-up/drop-off, or maybe a mile walk to the track entrance. And after the race, the hotel is located on the street that enters the track's in-field, so the driver's trucks/caravans drive by,and it's a site to see; especially if you have kids. The rooms are luxurious, clean and quiet, and worth every penny. I've been in the military for over 18yrs, and traveled all over the world, and there I've witnessed a lot of hotel staffs that could take lessons on hospitality from this Best Western staff. Outstanding experience, and have already made reservations to go back.

Your hotel is a beautiful property and great location. Beautiful inside and staff is very nice and helpful. Sleeping and showering is not so good. Beds are hard, pillows are hard or lumpy, leaving neck aches. Shower leaks all over the floor even with towels down. Slipping hazard.

Hotel and staff are both great. Clean rooms, nice lobby, good breakfast, and nice bar/lounge. Have stayed at this hotel about 12 times over the last 6 years and have never been disappointed. Great location if you are attending NASCAR races. Only complaint are the higher prices on race weekend but no shuttle to and from the Speedway or any special amenities to justify price increase. All else is great and I keep going back for more.

« 2nd Vist to the Best Western Speedway »

This was our second time visiting the hotel. We like it for the location, cleanliness, full breakfast, and being able to get a room with 2 beds PLUS a pullout. There were a couple problems with our reservation this time - one was the hotel's fault and one was a rowdy bachelorette party next to our room - so it was not as pleasant as our previous stay but Christina did a very professional job of handling the matters and we were given a discounted price on the room without even asking, which didn't have to be done but was a courteous thing to do. We will likely give the hotel another try next time we are in KC.
