« Masses of space in the loft rooms! »

I stayed here in September and could not fault it. I had a loft room, which meant that the downstairs was a large open plan lounge with fireplace, a kitchen and a bathroom, and the bedroom, with a very comfortable bed, was upstairs. I had masses of space and the accommodation had everything I could possibly have needed. The only possible downside was that it was on the outskirts of town which is fine if you have transport but otherwise you are looking at possibly a (pleasant) 15 minute walk. It's easily do-able, so don't let it put you off, but if mobility is an issue, you may wish to consider somewhere slightly closer to where it all happens. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the serving staff friendly and efficient. I would happily stay here again.

    « Very nice »

This is our second stay here. Again, we chose a room with a loft bed. Very romantic. Fire place and kitchenette is nice. Price is reasonable. Only complaint is the filth under the bed and around the furniture.

« A unique hotel, one of our favourite Best Westerns »

We love the spacious loft rooms - they have a good kitchenette and real wood-burning fireplace - how's that for ambience? It's not new or upscale, but cozy, comfortable and clean. The pool at this hotel is the nicest Best Western we have ever seen! They have an excellent restaurant on the property as well. It's walking distance to the downtown, the train station, shops, restaurants, etc., and there are hiking trails out the back door. Our room had a great mountain view, which is why you go to Jasper in the first place.

    « Housekeeping needs work »

We got a really good rate for a quick getaway down to Jasper and stayed for two nights. The restaurant and pool were closed during our stay which we were notified of at the time of the booking; not a huge deal for us. Everyone we dealt with, from the booking agent to the front desk staff were great - friendly and very competent. However, we got into our room and noticed that there was dental floss and another small piece of garbage on the floor of the bathroom. I'm not trying to say our trip was ruined because of the unclean bathroom, but it makes you wonder if the housecleaning staff misses that, what else are they missing? Otherwise it was a decent hotel at a decent price.

« Excellent service, plenty of room »

We stayed for the Remembrance Day weekend and had to wait about a half-hour past regular checkin time to be able to access our room. It was a bit of an inconvenience, but we weren't too put out by it. But the manager on duty that afternoon quickly offered to put a complimentary bottle of wine in our room by way of apology for it not having been ready on time. We were very impressed by that kindness and generosity. We stayed in a room with loft, separate bedroom, kitchen and fireplace. Tons of space, very comfortable and convenient to be able to cook a bit to avoid constant restaurant costs. The suite we had was definitely on the older side and the walls are very thin (we were treated to the sounds of a late-night domestic dispute next door), but we noticed an entire other wing of the property was being massively renovated during our stay, so they're clearly working on it. Still, the room was tidy, clean and had everything we needed. It's a very quiet property backing onto Pyramid Bench, and herds of elk tend to wander by and make themselves at home throughout the property, which feels special. Can't comment on the pool or restaurant as both were closed for renovations when we were there.

« If you are travelling in a group with hockey team go elsewhere »

I called to book for two teams of nine year olds for a slow time in Jasper. I spoke with Lindsay and as soon as I said hockey team she said they had rooms but weren't willing to book a group for us and she was rude about it. Then I called back and asked to speak to the manager and got Dianna. I said I understand you don't have a group space but you have regular rooms can you hold them for a few days and she said no and she didn't want to keep talking in circles. I ask found out that she wasn't the manager and she said "oh my manager just walked in I'll let you talk to her." But all they did was put me to a voicemail and have never called me back. If they don't want to take a team then just say so and you don't have to be rude about it. Not all hockey teams are bad by the way and these kids are all staying with their parents. I called Chelsea at Mountain Park lodge and she said in the first week of January Jasper is like a ghost town so they are very happy to have our group of 40.

« Don't stay here if you have another option »

I checked into a $250 a per night room and was appalled at the huge stain in the middle of the lounge carpet, broken tiles not chipped but a quarter of the tile broken off on the floor, not dangerous at all for bare feet. The walls were brick, felt like a cell. When I asked for another room I was told there wasn't any other at that price and I would have to pay another $135,having no other option at seven pm I did so.While the executive room was a far cry from the other dog box the plumbing hadn't been bled when the last washers had been changed and every time someone from the many rooms upstairs flushed their loo or filled their spa the pipes in my bathroom squealed and banged so much I had to get up and turn on my sink tap to stop the noise.Reception very pleasant but obviously overworked. I called the restaurant to make a booking, the phone rang out three times.Over all I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

« We went to this hotel for appetizers and drinks to celebrate a cousins birthday »

The restaurant food was exceptional as was the service. We ordered a couple of appetizers and a variety of wines and were very impressed with the quality and variety of the food and wine. Would definitely go back. We did not stay at the hotel as we were travelling in a RV.

    4
« Tucked away yet eveything is close by »

The Best Western is tucked away off the main drag yet still close to everything. Located within walking distance of the train station, the Visitor's Centre and hiking trails. Our hotel room included a kitchenette with a loft bedroom and double height window--a refreshing change from the box-like rooms of most hotels!

    « All you need... »

This is a modern motel style property that ticks all the boxes. We found it clean and tidy and well run.The dining room provides excellent food that is tasty and well presented. The wine list is not extensive but gives something for all tastes and wallets. Staff know their jobs and guests are satisfactorily treated. Care should be taken in selecting accommodation that meets your needs. We were offered and directed to a loft suite on the second floor. Not knowing this, we set off luggage in hand and found the suite was a walk up and another set of stairs in it to a loft bedroom with bathroom below on the entry level. Not for us, age and bad knees made the prospect a nightmare. After retracing our steps, the receptionist quickly rectified the situation and we ended up with a snug little room behind the office and someone to help us move. It was a recently refurbished room and perfect for us, except an extra chair and small table would have been nice additions. On a cool damp evening, we could have done without all this. Certainly, we would use this property again should the occasion warrant it.

    « Everything you need »

We hadn't stated in a BW for many years so expected something basic however were pleasantly surprised. The new suites are very spacious, quiet, and even have huge jacuzzis. There was a laundry onsite. Breakfast was included -a great range of continent and cooked foods. It has everything you need. Highly recommend the new suites at this hotel.

    3
« Poor Value - Even For Jasper »

Accommodation in Canada's national parks is expensive. This property is living evidence of the preceding statement. We have stayed at the BW Jasper Inn and Suites on a previous occasion. At that time, we were upgraded to a nice suite. This time, we got one of their ordinary rooms. We discovered that this room gave very poor value for our money. We have stayed in expensive locations - Key West, Florida; Banff, Fort Lauderdale, and Victoria. However, in our experience, Jasper provides for the biggest rip-off. Our room was very small. Two regular beds made it impossible to view television in a chair. The door to the bathroom was extremely narrow, and made the bathroom seem very small. Management declared that we should have spent even more money to upgrade our accommodation. My recommendation for future travelers is that they do a little research on alternative properties in Jasper. There are alternatives and they are priced much more reasonably. Future travelers also need to be aware that there is no complementary breakfast offered at this hotel. Finally, regulating the heat in our room proved to be very challenging. On a positive note, our room, including the bathroom were kept very clean. There were no problems with cleanliness. Also, the front desk personnel were friendly and efficient.

    5
« Great unit in a beautiful town. »

Our room was on the top floor and it was completely self contained. It had a mezzanine bedroom so we had room to move. The verandah gave us the opportunity to test the outside temperature without having to go outside, which was very convenient because it was very cold. Laundry facilities were efficient. We both enjoyed this unit.

    3
« Decent hotel but showing signs of age »

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is located at the edge of town. However, it is very quiet and only a short, pleasant walk into the town's center. The service in the hotel was good and the staff very friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious but a refurbishment is certainly needed as the rooms really look and feel old/used.

    5
    « Canada trip 2016 »

On arrival which was smooth from the station by coach to hotel. Was a little bit confused by the directions given at reception to our room. Found the receptionist not very enthusiastic or helpful. However we were very pleased with our accommodation and facilities available. Restaurant was good and staff helpful and friendly. Food was ok. Swimming pool and whirl pool very nice. Shame the steam room was not working when I tried. Very pretty setting through the garden pathways.

    1
    « Awful! »

We stayed in a two bedroom suit that was dirty, run down and disgusting. Management was cold and indifferent. They charged us $350 for the most disgusting night. We wouldn't recommend this place to a dog. The ice machine was broken there was trouble with Wi-Fi. Never go there again

    5
    « Overnight in Jasper »

The BW is a bit out of the way but if you enjoy a nice walk in Jasper it is ideal. It is starting to show its age; given the price we paid at other BW locations the value for money is not the best; albeit, the service is good and the hotel is clean.,

    5
« Best pizza in town! »

We didn't stay at the hotel, BUT we did have dinner at the restaurant at this hotel. It was AMAZING! Both the bartender and our server were very attentive! My food allergies were taken seriously and were handled professionally. Will eat here again for sure!

    4
    « Road trip »

We flew into Calgary rented a car and drove straight to Jasper. We stayed at the Jasper Inn, a little older but nice , clean and had a good restaurant . Stayed 3 days in Jasper, was able to see a lot of stuff, not as commercial as Banff, a little slower pace. On our way back we stopped in Banff for another 3 days before flying home! This was a great trip, good roads, lots to see and do and easy to get around ! We Will go back!!

    3
    « Pleasant »

Not the cheapest hotel, but in a very picturesque area which would answer the question of the price Pleasant and helpful staff, only stayed a night as not much to do in Jasper. I would recommend the hotel for a quick visit and would eat out.

    « value for money »

Situated about 15 minute walk from downtown. Found the room very comfortable and most likely recently renovated. Bed very cosy in the loft area. Our room on the second level and we dragged our cases up a small flight of stairs to our room then left them under the stairwell in the room not up in the loft (another flight of narrow stairs). Upon leaving were told we should have been told we could have had a porter for our bags. Great view from the balcony outside our room. Looking over a central garden where we saw elk grazing at dusk. Staff quite helpful.

    5
    « Our Fall Getaway »

We stayed here before and really enjoyed everything about this property. There was no question that we would stay again this time. We were not disappointed and would certainly stay here again when we return to Jasper.

    3
« Spartan but a good spot to rest your weary bones »

This is very much a skiers hotel, with notices everywhere telling where to deposit your skis and boots and no air conditioning, but plenty of heating. Its a motel-style hotel with small clean rooms and all basic facilities; however we kept tripping over our luggage in the small room. We had breakfast there each day and this was good value but limited. Staff were friendly and helpful The main dining and entertainment areas is about 5 minutes car ride away Can't fault the hotel, just a little outdated.

    5
« Good beds and a very good restaurant »

This inn has always been a good place to stay while in Jasper. Reasonable rates, good accommodations and helpful , friendly staff. Staying in Jasper has always been a regular treat for us. We love the mountains, the lakes and the scenery in general.

    4
« Good hotel, but some deficiencies »

Good location. Good pool, whirlpool and spa facilities. Average bed comfort. Nice onsite restaurant, but ambiance and enjoyment diminished by loud and unsuitable background music unless you like loud rock and pop selections. Had to request the playlist to be changed, which took a while to accomplish. Went to other good restaurants on remaining evening of our stay as a result.

    3
« Only 3 Stars compared to other Best Westerns »

I stay pretty much exclusively at Best Western, so know what to expect. This place fell far short of those expectations. No breakfast, not even the usual 24/7 coffee in lobby, and only one 'regular' coffee-pod in-room (no decaf or tea)....those small amenities that bring me back to BW time after time. (For an apples to oranges comparison, try the Lethbridge BW if you ever have the opportunity...what a wonderful establishment!). Be aware that room 302 is right next to where restaurant employees take breaks (complete with colorful language) and early morning delivery trucks. It WAS clean and the pool area, hot tub and sauna (wet and dry) was nice and well-kept.

    4
« Below Average but comfortable. »

This hotel is in a seasonal tourist area and is above average price. The hotel is old but was well maintain and clean. No elevators so request first floor is you can't do the stairs. No breakfast included but you can buy the buffet. No AC included but unless they get a heat wave you wouldn't need it anyway. We had long wait to register due to a bus tour did not pre-register their people ahead of time. I would probably stay there again but how many times does a person go to Jasper..

    5
    « Good location »

We stayed here for 2 night over Labor Day weekend. This was a central location for our day trips. We had to drive to the town area, but if one was able to walk a bit it would be walkable. We had a Jr Suite (because that was all that was left when we booked). The room was fantastic. Very large. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Refrigerator which is important to me. Tub with whirlpool jets which was nice at the end of the day. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was a good price. We had the prime rib special on Saturday night and it was sooo good. We got breakfast and lunches to go at a café in town. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area. There is not an elevator so if you have trouble with stairs ask for a room on the first floor.

    3
« No Complimentary Breakfast Buffet? »

My husband and I are currently here at the Best Western Jasper Inn and Suites for 2 nights...on our way to Edmonoton. We have stayed in many Best Westerns when we are driving long days both here and in the US...we have Never stayed in a Best Western that didn't have a complimentary breakfast buffet...but there's always a first for everything, I guess...we went to have breakfast here this morning and were floored to be charged $13.50 per person for the same complimentary buffet at every other Best Western we've ever encountered...needless to say we would have gone elsewhere if we had known...and we could have easily gotten a much better breakfast for a similar price!

    5
« They treat us like FAMILY! »

My family lived in Jasper for 45 years and my special needs son and I now holiday in Jasper and enjoy staying at the Inn! The rooms are CLEAN..the manager Shawnee and Diana make sure you have every thing you might need. You only need to ask. The staff is great and do a great Job..The Jasper Inn is a place where I will stay for many years.

    « Great Home Base »

The really nice thing about this BW is that the suite is really a little apartment. There's a full kitchen, full fridge, separate bedroom (for those of us who go to bed several hours before our spouse), and a living room with a fireplace. We were only there 2 days, so didn't take full advantage. There's a very good full service restaurant on site across the courtyard. Breakfast is NOT included and runs about $13 each. There's also an on-site laundry, and a pool and hot tub. The bedroom with a Queen-sized bed was compact and the dresser or shelving is not in the bedroom itself. Otherwise, we were quite comfortable. I should note that the hotel is not really within walking distance of downtown. There's a coffee/tea maker in the room but no coffee/tea in the lobby. As usual, the check in time is a quite late 4:00 pm, something I really dislike about BW.

    3
« Rockies Vacation 4 Days Jasper Area »

Stayed in this hotel 20 years ago. Owners have done a good job of keeping up the property. Convenient location, pricey although in line with other Jasper hotels. Buffet breakfast at the hotel was good although only ate there once. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub which were well kept.

    4
    « Nice Room »

We stayed two nights while visiting Jasper, on a trip to the Canadian rockies. The room was nice, Breakfast is available at the on-site restaurant, and is not free. You can order from the menu, or select items from a buffet-style presentation.

    5
    « Glacier trip »

The BW had a full kitchenette and well as a real fireplace with presto log available to burn. This is the first time that we've gotten a hotel room which had an upstairs sleeping area, similar to a townhouse set-up, loved it! The area was so quiet and peaceful that we were able to hear the elk call to each other at night, what a lovely sound :)

    2
« Not worth the price! »

My first impressions were poor! Medium sized motel. Small check in waiting area. Need to walk outside to get to indoor pool/hot tub. Room was adequate for a small family however price did not justify the amenities. Paid $249 for a standard queen suite in the basement with a view of the garden terrace. I would stay somewhere else.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

The hotel is not far from the main center of town. Plenty of parking. nice restaurant on site. Indoor pool and hot tub. Rooms are clean, but not to large. the front office is small for such a big hotel. I would and will stay again.

    1
« Gave the key to someone else's room »

When we arrived, we were given our room key and number and went to our room. We tried the door and it opened but the deadbolt was locked. We knocked on the door and no answer and tried again. Then someone answered hello. I guess they were asleep because it was later in the evening. Shocked, we went to the front desk and told them what happened. They said sorry and said that they gave us the wrong room number and key (obviously). So we got out new room and key and went to bed. The next day upon check out, we weren't asked how our stay was at all, so after they gave us the bill and said bye I started to tell them what happened the previous night and before I could even finish explaining what happened the woman clearly already knew what happened and cut me off saying "it was a mistake" and I then said okay but I am concerned with how this hotel cares about the safety and security of their guests and she proceeded to again say "it was a mistake". That was it. I understand mistakes are made but they did not even apologize upon check out until I brought it up. I can't imagine how the other guest must have felt. This is unacceptable and I will never stay at best western in Jasper again and will also rethink other locations in the future. Bottom line if you are staying at this place, make sure all the locks are in place.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Stayed here for two nights. A little out of the centre but the kitchen and lounge made it worth it. We stayed on the bottom floor and it was so easy to unload the car straight outside the room. Plenty of supplies for eating & drinking, washing up etc.. Ate at the hotel restaurant both nights & it was superb. Staff friendly & welcoming.

    3
    « Was expecting more »

We had a 1 bedroom suite on the first floor that served our purpose but was expecting more. The whole complex is dated and showing wear and for the price paid I feel it was not reasonable. There is a restaurant located on premise.

    4
« Very good location in Jasper with an excellent restaurant »

We enjoyed our stay at the BW Jasper. We opted for a king executive with a balcony and it was worth the extra money. It was spacious, quiet and has a reasonably good view. Note many of the rooms do NOT have much of a view. The on-site restaurant is excellent. Overall a good value.

  • 4
    « Excellent hotel »

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff is very friendly and professional. Will definitely stay here again on any future trips to Jasper. good facilities with a restaurant/lounge right on the property as well as an indoor pool.

    4
    « Good Experience »

We had two nights in the 1 bedroomed loft suite. Good service, comfortable suite, comfortable bed and convenient location for Jasper town. Plenty of parking and laundry room very much appreciate. We would certainly return.

    4
    « hotel »

size of room & fireplace with kitchen & upper loft for sleeping was a surprise . nice balcony. restaurant was good and good location in jasper. staff very helpful had stairs so not for everyone. maybe other rooms had a different layout

    1
« Old and need Update »

Pretty old Place and the carpets are definitely alive. Overpriced. Rooms are no more than 150$ worth. Key did't work 2-Times. No Elevator. Place is build in the eighties and it' just like they build it.

    4
« Reasonable location, nice and quiet »

Travelled to jasper as part of a tour. Hotel was a bit dated but certainly very comfortable. A little walk from town, but not too far. Meals were good and staff friendly. Laundry was convenient. The pool looked inviting, however a bit cool for us. Plenty of parking

    5
    « Impeccable service »

We had a really good experience with the Best Western. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with the loft area on the second floor to which we didnt use. The suite had a full kitchen, a fire place and comfortable lounge area. The kitchen had a full stove oven and full size fridge and microwave with plenty of cupboard space. The Grill Inn was across the road and a coin laundry was in a separate building. The outlook from the suite looked over toward the mountains. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was climate controlled as it was starting to get a bit cool. A small balcony off the lounge to which the blue jay called in to visit most days. The best of all was the friendly service from all the staff. I accidentally left behind some clothing. Via email we arranged to have the items forwarded to my next destination. I am ever so grateful for their assistance here.

    5
    « Nice hotel »

Excellent two night stay. Hotel situated about 10 mins walk or short drive from town centre and very well placed for Maligne canyon and lake, and other attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful and room both spacious and well equipped. We were in an inside room with balcony overlooking well kept and attractive gardens. We will come back if in the area again

    4
« Does what it says on the tin »

This wasn't our first choice hotel in Jasper but we were perfectly happy with the hotel. In style it's like many north American mid range hotels - no main hotel building as such but lots of blocks of accommodation with parking, a small separate building for reception, another block containing a very nice restaurant, and a small swimming pool, Jacuzzi sauna and steamroom. Our room was spacious and comfortable with nice views. There was a coin laundry downstairs as well as vending machines. The food in the restaurant is very nice - advisable to book as it is popular. The hotel is a 20 minute flat walk to town which was fine for us.

    4
    « Cleanliness of suite »

Very comfy and spacious.dont recommend the the grill to eat for not much variety on menu.people there are very friendly and you don't have to wait for food for I believe each table had their own waiter, waitresses

    4
« Lovely place, lovely staff »

We stayed at this hotel for one night and were pleasantly surprised. It's a bit rambling and out of town but the room was clean and comfortable (pity there was no air con) and the staff made us extremely welcome. We ate at the hotel and the food was particularly good. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the waiter really knew his job. Worth staying here if you are going to Jasper.

« Lovely accommodation suited us perfectly »

We stayed here for two nights as part of a holiday organised for us by a travel company. We were given a ski apartment (mezzanine floor with large comfortable double bed up stairs and a living room with kitchen corner downstairs with bathroom off.). The receptionist didn't tell us the easiest way into the block with suitcases which meant we had to carry them up an unnecessary extra flight of stairs (there's no lift). The accommodation was very good except it was very warm in the bedroom and my husband had to stand on a chest of drawers to open the velux window. There was nowhere to drain dishes/cups etc in the kitchen. (A dish drainer with tray under doesn't cost that much). We ate in the restaurant one night (very good, nicely presented) and made our own meal the other night. I am giving the hotel 4 stars (plenty of tea bags and of course teaspoons; nice toiletries including a shower cap); I would have given it 5 except for the inconveniences we encountered.

    5
« Not much to look at but great room »

Driving up it didn't look great, but the room was very big as was the bathroom. Comfortable with everything you could want, our room overlooked a sweet garden with seats. The hotel is on the edge of Jasper but it was a nice maybe 10 min walk to the main shopping and restaurant area. The walk felt very safe through a residential area.

    5
« Business trip to Jasper »

One great breakfast, staff very helpful on local knowledge, rooms very clean and large, bed so cozy I didn't want to get up and go to work. Furniture was solid and very up to date, there is a safe in each room nice for cash and jewelry, and the rooms were freshly painted and new pictures were hung.microwaves and refrigerator a were also new, overall 5 stars.

    3
« Potential, but could use some TLC. »

We spent three nights at this hotel. The layout and amenities of the room were great with a very functional kitchenette, loft with queen sized bed and own TV, sitting area, balcony and small separate bedroom with additional queen. The only real reason I am not offering a 4 rating is cost. I understand that nothing in Jasper is cheap, but for over $300 per night I would expect a room that didn't show as much wear and tear as this one. The building we were in appeared a little run down and dated overall. The pool area, however, was very nice, showing that perhaps the future of the rest of the establishment has promise. I would give this hotel a pass, but don't expect what you would get elsewhere for the same money.

    « Unexpected room »

Walked in to the room, bathroom with bath - tick. Kitchenette - unexpected tick. Real open fire - wonderful tick. Comfy sofa & armchair - cosy tick for achy legs. Balcony - tick. But where's the bed? Upstairs, on mezzanine balcony with another TV - very nice big tick. As with all other accom we have found in Canada if you want English Breakfast Tea or similar in your room buy a small bag yourself & take with you. Also all hotels seem to only provide powdered creamer not milk, so again ask for milk - I know that may sound picky but you all know how much you need your cup of tea done just so. Great food in the hotel at good prices with good gluten free options, be aware menu prices in Canada do not include tax & service charge so look at the price & add 20% immediately.

    « Great staff »

Best Western wasn't our first choice for a nights stay but we were pleasantly surprised with the modern decor of the building. The room was well-lit and we had a great view. We appreciated the informative and professional staff.

« 1 night stop over in Jasper »

We stopped at the Jasper Inn & Suites just as a stop over in Jasper to break up our journey through the Rockies, Its a great hotel, very big suits and very clean and the staff are helpful. We though it was a bit over priced but it seams that all the hotel in Jasper are not cheap, not sure. Anyway we would recommend this hotel to families it was really nice.

right in the rays of accommodation in town of Jasper.Had a queen room with loft had 3 single beds with tv perfect , had a small kitchen in living room with sofa bed a tv and fireplace perfect for a group.Half the price of what we pay in Banff. Receptionist so helpful in recommending to drive to the scenic Pyramid lake spotting a bear cub along the way

« Bring your own pillow »

Overall I had a nice stay at the Best Western in Jasper however 2 things created quite the inconvenience. I travelled here with the family for a night. I have a 1.5 year old. If you're a parent you know the challenges a toddler can bring. Imagine driving for 4 hours with a hungry kid only to arrive at 4pm at a respectable hotel and being told your room isn't ready and to come back in an hour. The restaurant was close however, lucky for us the patio was available and the weather was nice. Kid fed and no harm done. Wife let me live for another day. Second was the pillows. If you love big fluffy pillows, this place is for you. No other options really. My neck hurt from being so elevated. I wish I brought my own. Never had this type of problem before. Was too late to ask if they had other options. None in the room. For the good, all the staff seemed friendly and they have a wonderful pool. Great hot tub. Kid really enjoyed the warm tub just off the pool. These are very specific points and I could see my next stay rated much higher.

« Comfortable, mid-range hotel with great pool/sauna/steam room complex »

Our travel agent made this booking knowing that we were looking for mid-range accommodation, so I did not perform a dollar-for-dollar comparison between the available hotels in this town. Jasper Inn and Suites however did not disappoint. Firstly the room we stayed in (double queen [I think]) was generously proportioned, although I thought the bedroom gained at the expense of the bathroom which felt a little 'squeezed' and was definitely not designed for two-person use. Housekeeping was of a good standard and fitted in within our schedule. The hotel's coffee maker in our room failed during the stay and within 10 minutes of call for assistance, a new replacement was delivered to our door. Very good service. There was one outstanding feature of this hotel; its pool/sauna and steam room complex. This was a must use and our extended family did so on each day of our stay. Although the hotel seemed full every night I was surprised that the facility was not more heavily patronised. Both the sauna and steam rooms were of a good size, the sauna being of a 'dry' type. The other feature of the hotel that I rated highly (although one couldn't call it outstanding) was the in-house restaurant. A good menu range (on the dinner menu), very friendly and courteous wait staff and the meals we had were all of a high standard and represented value for money. If I returned to Jasper I would definitely stay again at this hotel.

« over priced on its basement rooms »

In this hotel, all rooms with one queen sized bed and a sofa are in basement, or as said half basement. However, the listing advertised as downstairs. In conventional meaning, downstairs means first or second floors. This is misleading. The good side of this kind of rooms is a kitchen which can be useful. In this hotel you have to pay about $100 more for the rooms comparable to other hotels nearby. I have stayed in Jasper two days recently in two days. Hotel doesn't have air conditioning. Worse, in August the room is equipped with thick comforters only good for January/February. I was getting so hot that I slept only two hours.

    « Good hotel »

We only stayed for 1 night and had a lovely queen loft suite. It was a shame we weren't here for longer. Open fireplace and log supplied. Bed is on a mezzanine floor which was really cool. The bathroom was tiny but functional. No overhead light in the living area which made it difficult to read unless positioned under a lamp. Staff were very helpful we needed a USB adapter and weren't lent one without question. Nice pool. However it could do with a lift for people with heavy luggage.

« Very Nice Hotel in Jasper »

This Best Western is in a nice location near the center of Jasper. The room is very clean, the bathroom, the kitchen. There is a nice updated kitchenette with good stocking of pots and pans and plates and cups. The queen sized bed is upstairs in the loft which is a smart way to utilize the space which is a bit tight. The bed is very comfortable. I had to go downstairs to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Nonetheless, ee enjoyed the stay very much.

    « Disappointing »

On paper this hotel sounds great: one-bed suites with fully-equipped kitchenettes. In reality this hotel is a disappointment - the fixtures and fittings are very dated and are in need of modernising, and the sludge-and-orange coloured decor is tired and needs complete refurbishment. We stayed here 3 nights in August. On the plus side this hotel is conveniently only a few minutes walk from downtown Jasper, and the young staff are all friendly and helpful. Sadly the negatives outweighed the positives for us. We were given a ground floor suite that is usually offered to guests with pets and it smelled strongly of wet dog. There were no other rooms available so we made do with an industrial-strength air freshener. Aside from the overpowering smell, the suite was let down by a lack of unity and poor attention to detail: mismatching appliances and cutlery (one dessert spoon and 3 soup spoons); and guest info that didn't tell you what time to check-out or how to operate the heating in the room. The suite was also poorly designed: the only dining area was weirdly low bar seating; there was a strange elevated platform in the living area on which the TV was sitting on top of a sideboard, and the open shelving and hanging rail right next to the front door was half-full of household items (broom, ironing board, extra pillows and blankets) so we were not inclined to unpack our cases during our stay. We would not recommend this hotel as we did not feel it offered value for money and in truth we found it rather depressing, but if you do book here, be sure to call the hotel direct to specifically request a room not for pets.

    « Good for family »

Family and group should try this location Best Western, The location is great. It is close to the city center, but quiet. We use the 5 person loft style suite, there is only one washroom. That is not convenience.

    « great hotel »

Great hotel with a convenient location. Doesn't look like much from the outside when you initially see it but the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were great with suggesting restaurants and very helpful overall. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the main street, restaurants, shops. They also gave us a complimentary room upgrade because we had booked part of our stay with best western points.

« nice place to stay in Jasper »

We had no problems during our 2 night stay in this hotel. The location was great! We love the kitchenette. This hotel had everything we need and would definitely stay here again. Only con would be the squeaky noise from the upper bedroom upstairs, when someone walks it makes the squeaky sound that could wake you up in the middle of the night if you are not a deep sleeper. Other than that it was great.

    4
    « One night stay »

Good value. Nice room. Clean and well maintained. Comfy bed and quiet room. Bathroom was spacious and a hot shower. Good sized living area. Restaurant very good. Lighting in bedroom could have been better. Reception staff friendly and efficient.

    « A pleasant surprise »

When we booked this king room we weren't expecting a deluxe suite with a loft "tower" bedroom upstairs, the windows on three sides made for a great night's sleep. The spa tub for two was awesome after a day of hiking. The breakfast buffet had a good selection (it is not free with the room, but reasonably priced). The only drawback is that this room is on the third floor with no elevator which could make it unfeasible for some guests.

    « Pleasant experience »

Great experience. We were 3 Adults and 2 kids and had booked the suite with a loft. It was great to see that 3 single beds were on the loft and a queen size bed on the main floor. Definitely good for 5-6 people. Good location and fair pricing. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was amazing. I think they serve one of the nicest pizza in town. Definitely will stay again.

    4
    « Great location & Cozy »

Had an awesome experience here! There was lots of space and had an awesome view of the mountains. The location was great! Super close to everything. There was a full size fridge and had everything we needed in the cupboards. Beds were comfy and had a great stay! Would recommend to stay here if you have a larger group!

    5
    « Very nice suite »

Rooms are nicer on inside than what we expected when we drove up. Suite, with two rooms was roomy. Great ice machine. Helpful, pleasant staff. The hotel-run restaurant has excellent, well prepared food from an extensive and varied menu. Tip: No air conditioning, but they do provide box fans. Get a room on the second floor if you are not comfortable going to bed at night with the sliding door open to use the fan.

    4
    « Good location »

Jasper was great. We really enjoyed being here but found that in comparison to our other hotels this felt dated in decor but still had the basic facilities required. Bathroom was small and it didn't matter to us but be aware it doesn't have air con. Would most likely pick a different hotel if we return just for a more luxurious experience.

    2
« Very costly for the room vs what is offered »

Booked in for an evening, in a loft suite. (Was last minute booking so took what they had left for the date - an emergency visit to Jasper) Arrived late at nite exhausted. Bedroom in the loft - no AC, no window in the loft. just a noisy fan to blow hot air around. We fried - i ended up sleeping with my feet out the sliding glass doors to the balcony on the first floor - not the most secure! needless to say we did not sleep and still faced an eight hour drive the next day. When I lodged a complaint in the morning - their answer - we do not usually need it. well it does not snow here very often, but I still have a snow blower in case it does. Hugely expensive!!!! and no consideration of guests. I am not even sure it is legal - if there is a fire on the lower level - how do you escape the loft with no window to the outside - fire trap.

    « Great stop for a family of 5! »

We were pleased with our stay at the Best Western is Jasper. With a family of 5 we enjoyed the queen bedroom downstairs and the loft area upstairs that had 3 single beds for our kids. The suite also had a full kitchen so it was easy for breakfasts and making/bringing any other meals back to the room to eat. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with this hotel that was a short walk to the town.

    3
« OK for one night stay »

This place is clean and well taken care off, but it looks dated and could use an update. It is also quite expensive for what you get, but that's the reality of staying in Jasper. We stopped here for only one night and did not use the hotel pool or restaurant. Our room was specious, clean and had a large bathroom. I knew this hotel did not have air conditioning, so I requested a ground floor room hoping it would be cooler. Even though the overnight temperatures are low in this area our room was very warm and we did not sleep well, so keep that in mind if you like your room cool at night.

    3
« Good location but tired »

Well located within 10 minutes walk to town. It has an excellent restaurant on site and ample parking. We visited in summer and there was no air conditioning or lifts at this property. We took an apartment with a kitchenette and it was well equipped with stove and fridge but no microwave or dishwasher. Comfortable bed but very small bathroom. It's looking a little tired and in need of a refurbishment but it met the purpose for a quiet place within easy reach of town.

    4
    « Comfortable lodgings. »

After a fair old journey along the Ice Parkway, we were glad to arrive at Jasper. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and upgraded to a loft suite with a balcony. The kitchenette was well stocked and very useful. The shower was great. A little warm (no air con) and noisy at times, but overall a good night's sleep. The swimming pool was small but comfortable and the jacuzzi and sauna excellent. Good location.

    4
    « Did not disappoint! »

I was concerned given some of the other reviews on here however we were really impressed. Hotel is a little tired but we had great facilities, a large room and it's a great base to explore jasper. Only 10 minutes walk to town. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Gabby! I would definitely stay here again.

« Good hotel in Jasper »

Old style hotel with exterior corridors and parking spots in front. Large rooms, plenty of space, full kitchen, quiet, good wifi in room. Clean. Queen beds but on small side. No breakfast included - extra cost in restaurant on premises. Not actually in town center but close by to be convenient yet quiet.

    5
    « Lovely hotel »

Situated a five minute walk to the main shops and restaurants, a perfect hotel. We had two queen size beds, tv, fridge, kettle, shower and jacuzzi bath. Very quiet with a pool, laundry and free parking. The food in the restaurant is excellent- hearty, tasty meals with good service. Would definitely come again.

« Best place in Jasper »

I love this hotel. It has everything I need, pool, hot tub, lounge and the rooms are perfect, with a suite for all types of groups and families. It's close to everything and on the quieter part of the townsite. I stay there at every opportunity.

« Excellent and best value! »

My wife and I originally wanted to book a cabin at another nearby lodge but when that was not available, we booked a queen loft room at the Best Western. We are glad we did! We could not have been more pleased! Our loft room was clean and very well thought out with a nice mountain view. The room had two TVs, one downstairs in the living area and one in the loft bedroom, a safe for valuables (which I really think every hotel room should have), a kitchenette complete with microwave, two-burner stove, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pans, and utensils, refrigerator, and wood-burning fireplace. Although there was no AC, the room cooled down quite well once we opened the skylight vent and the screened in back door. Two fans were also provided although we really didn't need to use them during our stay. The free Wifi worked extremely well and I measured it at 12 mbps which is quite good. And the food at the Inn restaurant was excellent! We were surprised at the quality and variety of the menu. Everything we tried was really top-notch. Note to BW: don't let your chef get away! The restaurant also has a nice patio with outdoor seating although we did not use it during our stay. We also enjoyed the beautiful gardens and vibrant flowers. The Inn also has an indoor pool and hot tub. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay there again.

    « Convenient hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for two nights prior to boarding the Rocky Mountaineer. We stayed in the Maligne Executive suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel has free wifi and is a short walk from shops and restaurants in Jasper. We also ate in the diner on site which was very good. There is plenty of free parking. We took the free shuttle to the railway station to board the Rocky Mountaineer.

    « A Lovely Stay for 4 nights »

This motel is situated a short walk from the center of Jasper - 10 minutes max. The living room / kitchen area is spacious and there is a sofa bed which we found comfortable and adequate for our short stay. The pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room facilities are excellent and the food on offer at the Grill Inn (part of the hotel) for breakfast (buffet) and dinner is very good and reasonably priced. The staff on reception and in the restaurant are very friendly and efficient. We liked the fact we could also park our car outside the front door of our room which is a handy feature - so see if you can get a ground floor room. A very nice, comfortable motel with very good amenities on sight at a quiet end of town - well worth staying here for a short Jasper stay.

« Expensive Alternative in Jasper »

The room was a good room, but due to high prices in Jasper area, was priced like a suite in other places. Upon arriving early, we were told to come back or wait, despite spouse being too tired to travel more. Other early arrivals were given keys to pool area on different days. Old style hotel does not have accessible entrance for pool.

« The word best should be omitted. »

This hotel was the worst of our three week trip through western Canada. All negative reviews you read her are true. The rooms are small and dark; the management has been able to keep the atmosphere of the 1970's perfectly intact. The sun shines brightly on the room, resulting in hot and stuffy rooms. The uninterested lady in the reception area advises to open windows, which does not help very much. One side of your room is above the central parking area, and a lot of parking is being done there. You can hear during the night the pleasing soft honking with which Canadian cars are closed from a distance. Jasper town has not much to offer apart from natural beauty and this is certainly not one of its attractions.

    « Great family hotel »

Great room, cozy warm and facilities. Great breakfast, nice pool and hot tub. Very reasonably priced and centrally located. Would definitely recommend and return. Only flaw was ac/fan noise but probably just in that particular room.

« Older vacation area hotel »

Yes, we had been told prior to arrival that there was no air conditioning in the hotel....nor elevators. They also did not tell us that if chose to have ANY sleep we would have to leave our GROUND LEVEL windows open all night, where all of the cars were parking, including buses loading and unloading at all hours. We were also informed they had no accessible rooms, hence the ground level floor, but didn't mention there was a curb you had to go over and a half staircase to get to the restaurant. This does not work well with a mobility scooter! The room was just OK....the bathroom was tiny and the small room fan was of little use. On the bright side, the restaurant was good as was the in room coffee maker.

    « Mr & Mrs »

20th century motel posing as a 21st century hotel. Room was clean, but beyond that there was nothing about this place that I could recommend my friends to. We are on the next to last day of a Canadian road trip. We have sampled ten fine hotels in Canada that I would definitely recommend. This one would not make it to the list. No A/C ! Hotel admitted they did not have it..."only 3 weeks of hot weather in Jasper...we don't need it" The hotel did tell us that we could use the 12" table fan that they supplied. We tried to plug it in but....no power at the outlet. Finally found 120V near the bottom corner of one bed. Power from the handy lamp with phone internet did not work either. There really was't nearly enough. 120v outlets to plug in our I-pads and I-phones. C'mon! This really is the 21st century. Prices charged here are as high as the other fine properties in Canada but without the amenities. Shame on the owners....the hotel is booked up, but is only because of supply and demand. When the other fine hoteliers in Canada find out about the tourism gold mine in Jasper....it's bye bye Jasper Inn.

    « More than disappointed. »

We had stayed there 20 years ago so went by our previous experience. Big mistake. The room we had was outwardly more than suitable for our needs. The first night showed the problem we had. Worst night I have ever had in a hotel. No air con. Absolutely stifled. Yes we could open the patio window but then there was no room security. It was June when this happened so not exactly the height of summer. We talked to the staff working the rooms local to us in case we had missed something in the room. We had not. The hotel was chockablock full so we saw no hope of a move. So decided to just get on with things. Same again second night. Talked to reception. They though perhaps the problem was due to the basement below. Could not see that. As to the room itself we had no other complaints about it. Bed was excellent. Used the restaurant. Food was fine. Typical UK pub food.

    « Very Comfortable »

We spent 4 night here and was very pleased with how spacious the suite was. It included a full size fridge, microwave and oven (not used). The bed was quite comfortable but the pillows were too soft and fluffy, but we got used to it. The Inn Grill restaurant is very handy and the range of food is very good and reasonably priced for the peak season. The hotel is located about 5 minutes from town centre, but seeing that it is used as a base for day trips the distance didn't matter.

    « Lovely room »

Expensive room as it was all that appeared to be available in Jasper when I went to book. However the room was lovely and spacious ( it was actually an executive suite). Good housekeeping too and nice views of the surrounding mountains from the big balcony. About a 10 minute walk to the heart of Jasper.

    « A lovely spot »

We stayed here on our road trip for three night. It had everything you needed and was in a great location, just a lovely walk to the centre of town.. Comfy beds, a safe and everything was clean and tidy. The only downside was there was no AC but they did have two large fans so it was ok to sleep. i suppose as a ski resort this is their main concern keeping the place warm! We went to evil daves for dinner one night, I highly recommend it was delicious food and friendly staff.

    « July visit »

We stayed in a way overpriced loft (375 a night) but tis the season. Beds super comfy, being in a loft a MUCH needed bathroom upstairs was needed. This room can actually sleep 7 and we slept 4. It was a one bathroom loft. Kitchenette was fantastic! Major upgrading needed for the entire Best Western. Pool was way smaller than pics. My girl loved it anyhow. The attached restaurant the Inn Grill was ridiculously yummy. Love Jasper and would stay here again in a pinch if need be. Thx

    « Basic and beige »

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite right by the entrance to the car park. The location was surprisingly quiet. The bedrooms overlook the car park and the hotel itself is a good 15 minute walk from town on a quiet residential street. On the plus side the suite was spacious, though the double room wasn't, and it had all the basics. However the decor was very dated and depressing and it seems odd to be providing us with a fire log when it's 83 degrees F outside . No air conditioning, but 2 big fans made it bearable (if noisy). Could be nice with a bit of updating....No lifts so getting big bags up to first floor was a challenge. We weren't offered help.

    « Ok »

Spent 3 nights here during our road trip. I was expecting this hotel to be the least modern/comfortable/luxurious of our stay and although that was true we still found it to be quite a good place to stay. We had booked a loft type room where the bedroom was upstairs on a mezzanine level and downstairs we had a lounge/kitchen area and bathroom. Everything was clean and in good working condition. It was cool and quite wet during our stay and even then we needed to use the fan upstairs at night. Wouldn't have liked to stay during hotter weather. It clearly states that there's no AC or elevators on the booking sites. All the staff were friendly and helpful and housekeeping very kindly always left us extra coffee as we drank it all! The hotel is situated at the end of the town so if walking is a problem maybe you should look elsewhere to stay. Hubby used the pool one evening and said it was good. We didn't visit the restaurant as the kitchen facilities were so good we ate breakfast in. Jasper hotels seemed to be expensive in July and this one was no different.

    « More of a 3+, met our needs »

Pros: clean, reasonably well-appointed, nice indoor pool, great wifi, and a surprisingly good restaurant with varied and interesting menu. This was a good home base for our family's 3-day stay in Jasper. Cons: the lack of A/C, loft configuration, and no airflow with all windows open made for a couple of hot, uncomfortable nights. The bathroom is very cramped - would be too small for just a 2-person room. As always, wishing for a king.

    « Never Assume »

Is this property really Best Western?? I made the mistake of assuming all Best Westerns had air-conditioning, not this place! Jasper, even though its in the mountains, gets hot during the summer so the room gets very warm. Even with the windows open and the provided fan going it is still too warm and the air muggy and stale - sleep was fitful. Maybe the sign on the door that said:" Don't bring skis or boards into the room" says it all as to why there is no AC. There is no micro wave oven either! Come on BW Jasper even Super 8 has AC AND a micro wave. I come to Jasper every couple of years next time I'll be staying elsewhere - sorry BW Jasper except for the prices you charge you just don't measure up.

« Old building not a good value »

Stayed at this motel and did not have a good experience. Our room was very dated and needed maintenance and TLC (see pics). We also encountered some large ants in the suite. This is not what we have come to expect when we stay at Best Westerns. Reading other reviews, I found there is a broad range of experiences at this place. I think it has to do with the fact that there are two buildings. One is old and outdated and the other one is newer and looks a lot better. If you are reading the bad reviews, I'll bet the people who wrote them stayed in the older building. If you intend to stay at this place, I definitely do not recommend the older building. If you need a kitchen suite, and the new building doesn't have one, then I'd look elsewhere. It just isn't good value for your money ($350+ a night for the time we stayed). On the plus side, all staff were polite and friendly and all kitchen appliances worked fine, were clean and were pretty new. The beds were of average comfort. We would have appreciated a/c (unusual in this day and age for a hotel/inn not have a/c). It was a bit warm at night and we didn't feel comfortable having our bedroom window open at night. We did know that there was no a/c at booking time but you don't really realize how good it is until you don't have it.

    « Jasper Stay »

Very nice loft room, but we were surprised to find that there was no air conditioning in our loft room. There are fans, and by opening the sliding glass and skylight were able to cool off. Room was very nice and very clean. Parking was tough. If you go out in the evening consider walking. We went out for dinner and had to park two buildings away from ours and carry in our luggage. Wondered why at check-in they told be there were designated spots except for the buses. We found out. Overall it was a nice clean place to stay, but kind of pricey.

    « Overpriced »

We were in room 226, room smelled very bad, freeze was too noisy. Bedroom had a little window, which made u feel like u were in basement. Bathroom is 2x2 very small. They have not remodeled it, decor from 70's very old furnishing. No a/c or fan so really stuffy smell. I paid 300 dollars n got a motel, if you r used to motel this is good but I was very disappointed. I thought it will be good for this price but no good. Do Not Choose This Motel.

    « Inconvenient loft bedroom »

The property is beautiful and the accommodations are lovely, however, having to climb down and up the stairs in order to use the bathroom at night was very inconvenient for older guests. There is no air conditioning in the units, so the loft was quite hot. There is no way to insulate the loft BR from sound from the television (or any other noise from the living area/kitchen) if someone wants to go to sleep early or to sleep in.. The $12.95 breakfast buffet at their restaurant was delicious and convenient since breakfast was not included with our booking.

We paid extra for a suite and were very disappointed. The room did not feel clean. However the bed was very comfortable and we had a good sleep. Easy walk into town though and the food in the restaurant was excellent

    « Disappointing experience »

We called ahead and booked a room at this hotel. We knew that Jasper was a very popular tourist area so expected to pay more for a room. We had to pay $248 for a room with two double beds, no breakfast. When we arrived in our room it was a bit stuffy so I thought we should turn on the air conditioner, there was none! I could hardly believe it. Then to make matters even worse the beds were terrible. Because we were on the ground floor just off the parking lot we did not feel comfortable sleeping with the windows open. We both had a terrible nights sleep, because of the beds and the stuffy hot room. When I complained the next morning, I was informed that I should have been told about the AC and was given a gift card to use during our next stay with the chain.

    « Superb Restaurant »

At first glance this is not the best looking hotel but once you're inside it's great! Spacious room with real fires for winter visits. The most amazing restaurant - lovely food, lots of choice, the biggest pizzas you'll ever see & delicious wines. Service from checkin to house keeping & waiting staff was friendly & helpful. Just a 5-10 minute stroll to the centre of town. Nice pool & spa. Convenient location for Maligne Lake, Icefields Parkway & heading to Mt Robson.

    « Not the best »

We stayed here for 3 nights, lovely setting, staff very friendly, however, they automatically added a gratuity to your breakfast bill which was a bit of a cheek as it was a help yourself breakfast buffet, so all the waitress had to do was pour your coffee! My daughter also had a nasty bite on her leg whilst staying there and looking back at previous comments this has happened to other guests as well.

« Best Western Jasper Inn & Suites. »

Room, bathroom/shower were excellent. Bar was good with friendly staff. Memory foam beds were excellent. Breakfast was good. Pity we had wet weather whilst there, would have liked to visit the town before we left.

« Great location for Jasper NP. Good rooms for families »

We stayed in a two bedroom-type room. One of the bedrooms had two twin beds. This set-up worked perfectly for what we needed. There was a small refrigerator that we were able to store some items in so we didn't have to eat every meal out. This was also a peaceful location. We didn't hear a soul in the hallways or outside, even though the parking lot was full.

    4
« Beautiful location worth an overnight stop »

Clean, good size room with kitchenette included. Gets noisy once people are up showering and rolling suitcases etc. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant attached - great staff but food very average. Good location.

« No ventilation to room and expensive for what you get »

We arrived in Jasper on a warm afternoon to find we had been allocated up stairs rooms with no a/c or ventilation. We eventually got one room replaced with a down stairs room which hadn't been baking in the sun the whole day. This might not be a problem in winter but in summer it is a problem. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate. We felt that the motel was expensive for what you get

    4
    « Great stop over »

Didn't expect this to be so good. Super room with lots of space and a fully equipped kitchen. The Inn Grill across the car park was close and good food / atmosphere. Really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of other restaurants around the hotel. Try the Marmot Lodge for the best ever steak !!!!!!

« Smelly Room at the Worst Western »

Our room smelled of fried food, even the bed clothes. We had to buy an air freshener to get through the 3 nights we stayed here. This ' Hotel' is desperate for an upgrade, the rooms are old and dingy and not as depicted on the website. My wife's perfume went missing from the bedroom, we reported it to reception but they were not interested, only to say they would ask if housekeeping had handed it in!! I would never stay in a Best Western again.

    3
    « Hotel stay »

They didn't honor giving the Best Western rewards. The room was decent and clean. The restaurant was good since we arrived late and was tired from our drive. Although they said no smoking in the room, the next room's occupant was smoking right outside their room. I think the smoker should be farther away from all room.

    4
    « Basic but nice »

The room was fine and clean but the place does look basic especially from the outside. In a quiet location but not too far a walk from the town. The Inn was nice. Dinner was lovely. Breakfast was good but check your bill. It wasn't till we were on the road we realised it seemed expensive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't get to use the pool as someone had been 'rude' which meant it was closed for cleaning. It.looked nice though and had a wee sun terrace.

« Nice Room, Aweful sofa bed »

We stayed here with our son for one night. The loft room is nicely set out with the king bed in the loft at the top of a short staircase and the sofa bed below. The room was clean and well equipped. The hotel is about 1km form most things of interest. Like most Best Westerns it does what it says on the tin. We had to ask for extra pillows for the sofa bed as they expect you to use the ones on the main bed.!While it may have been only an issue for our room, the mattress on the sofa bed was well past its "sell by date" the mattress was a thin one over numerous springs. For a 40kg 11 year old he found it almost impossible to sleep on with springs sticking into him and be had to pad it out with blankets and clothing. For an adult it would have been unbearable. That's the reason for 3 stars otherwise as I Said it's a best Western and does what it says.

    3
    « Just okay »

Fair at best. It was clean enough but very standard. Room first night was old and outdated. Very small old bathroom. Next night we moved to a king executive suite. A step up for sure but on third floor and no elevator. They did send a guy to carry luggage. No AC and while it was cool enough there is something creepy about sleeping with the windows open in a hotel. If you're just looking for a place to crash for the night it's ok but I would not stay here again. Staff was mediocre.

    3
    « Vacation »

A very nice hotel close to downtown Jasper. Rooms were clean and well appointed. No air conditioning but cool weather. Fireplace was in our room. No elevators Restaurant on the premises. Balcony looking out to a well groomed lawn. Quick check in and friendly staff,

    « Enjoyable stay »

Nice comfortable standard room. Lounge with a fire place, small bathroom, kitchenette is equipped with necessities but no dishwasher. Great sliding door to open for fresh evening breezes. Pool facilities are good. The inn grill restaurant which is attached to the hotel is great value with delicious meals. About a 10-15 minute walk into town.

    4
« Lives up to Best Western standards »

Lovely welcome and check out. Given an upgrade which was lovely. One comment is that our room was upstairs and there was no lift. This was not a problem for us but it could potentially be. If you were skiing and had an accident this would be an issue. Perhaps there was a lift and we just didn't see it or ask about it. Reception staff were able to recommend restaurants as we had arrived late and several of them stop serving at 10pm. However on her recommendation we ate in their restaurant and the food was good and we were able to mix and match between starters only and a full meal - great service. Room was clean and functional. Exactly what we were looking for.

    « Good hotel..very good restaurant »

We stayed here in first week of June and though we were in the room only for hrs (as were busy exploring city), i should mention it was comfortable. We stayed in a suite and it was good. Though bathroom amenities are old but they work OK. reasonable option to stay. Try the restaurant for breakfast. (remember Jasper has good restaurants)

    4
    « It's OK. »

This is an adequate hotel made a little better by desk staff and grounds staff who try really really hard to make the stay better. This hotel does not have A/C. When one opens the window to let in the cool fresh mountain air, one also then hears every tiny bit of noise within and outside the hotel.

  • 4
    « quite comfortable »

the room, or small apartment, was quite nice although over priced for our needs. we simply sought a room with a couple of beds. the staff was very courteous, friendly and out going but the restaurant was a bit over priced. housekeeping was onsite, even if they did leave a bedroom window open and thus was cold in the room.

    4
    « Ken & Sharon »

Air Conditioning would be nice during the summer months. Loft bedroom is nice would rather have a larger bathroom than a kitchenette on lower level, although some travellers may find the kitchenette a benefit.

    4
    « Pleasant Stay »

We stayed at the Best Western Jasper Inn and Suites in late June. We had 2 loft rooms towards the 'back' (northwest) of the hotel. Rooms were pleasant enough, what we had expected and thus a 4 rating. If an hotel met my expectations based on the hotel type and price point I award a rating of 4. The rooms have a small kitchenette on the bottom floor, a seating area and a fire place. The rooms have a small wooden balcony. This is an older hotel and there are a few smaller issues with the room. The staircase to the bedroom/loft is narrow and it is not the easiest to move large luggage up and down this narrow staircase. The bathroom is also located on the lower level by the entrance door. Walking down the narrow steps at night can be a bit harrowing. The loft also has a skylight that opens, unfortunately the blinds on this window/skylight allows for a lot of light to pass through. With the long daylight hours in Canada in the summer this means that sleeping in is a problem, and so too going to bed early. This hotel also does not have elevators or air conditioning. The loft/rooms heat up very fast even when the outside temperature is only 12 Celsius and it is difficult to cool down the room, even with the 2 provided stand alone fans. The hotel itself is about 1 km north of downtown Jasper, a leisurely 10 to 12 minute walk. Walk downtown, as parking is always an issue in Jasper.

    5
    « Excellent spring retreat »

Stayed for two nights and would definitely return. So much to do in the area. The hot springs weren't open because it was March. We will go again in July. Wild elk standing in the middle of the street. So many attractions and excellent hiking. Room was quiet clean and comfortable.

    3
    « Not bad »

The rooms are out of date. The hotel could use new bed sets (the ugly brown/red and gold) and update the hideously ugly brown carpet. The restaurant was good and I didn't have any trouble finding parking. The pool was clean and enjoyable, however I sustained second degree burns on the back of my calf from the steam room. I think the rooms are a little pricey considering the hotel could use some renovations... but it's Jasper, so comparable.

    3
    « Needs a modern touch.... »

We stayed at Best Western Jasper Inn & Suits in June 2016, two adults, two children. Upon arriving our room was ready however it was too small for the four of us including our luggage. Staff were fantastic, they upgraded us to a loft room with a kitchenette (very handy with children), there was enough room for us all. The room had everything you needed, the location was out of the main town area about 10 minute very easy walk. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, The Inn Grill, open for breakfast and dinner, again staff very accommodating. Overall, it is not the Fairmount Hotels and we knew that, but it had everything we needed, if we could recommend to management that internal carpeting needs replacing especially within common areas and I know the policy is to enjoy the mountain air, however in the loft rooms it can get hot in the summer and becomes difficult to sleep with no air conditioning. Quiet location, easy to access, onsite parking (free), free WI FI.

    5
« Good location and great suite »

I upgraded to a suite and was glad I did. The bedroom was in an upstairs loft and the living/dining area had a fireplace. The bedroom was stuffy until I noticed the skylight could be opened. The skylight made the room very pleasant at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is off the main street which I liked. it was an easy walk to town and it was a quiet location. It was expensive but as a solo traveler, I felt the suite and the safety I felt were worth it.

    3
    « Expensive. »

Whilst this was a reasonably comfortable stay, I am trying to work out how (or why!) I paid more at this hotel than the luxury suite we had at the next (Rimrock Resort Banff). There is no comparison between the two. Jasper Inn is a motel-style hotel with no lounge areas and a pub-style restaurant. The room was a good size but dark and the staff were very pleasant but that was it. Breakfast was poor but served by friendly staff.

    5
« Wow, Cavell suite is sweet! »

Despite the price, the one thing that the hotel could do in the renovation was put in a/c! Everything else was amazing, the decor left me speechless upon walking into the sitting area at the door, big fluffy, comfortable couches and chairs, brick fireplace is stunning, then the lovely full kitchen with back lighting, granite, dual ovens, marble backsplash, venthood, huge table and dimming lights. It was like a loft apartment. The rain on the roof was lovely.

    4
« Good but could be better »

Had a two bedroom room with one bathroom, over the Canada Day long weekend. The hotel is situated close to town, about a 10 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Our room (111) was quiet, and was located on the ground floor. Good coin-op laundry on premises, although in another building to where we were staying. All buildings are electronic key operated to enter. A few negatives include the fact that one of the electronic room keys never did work, even for the actual room. No air conditioning, even though room was quite stuffy and warm when we arrived, we were advised to open the windows.......which was fine, but it was also raining so rain came in. No light near or over the shower recess meaning the cubicle was very dull and hard to see. But its a good location and comfortable enough.

« Nice split level room »

We stayed 4 nights and the room was good, although quite expensive, with a bed upstairs in loft area, lounge, full kitchen and balcony. The loft area in particular gets quite warm and it is a shame there is no aircon. Nice pool and lovely hot tub, usually very quiet.

    4
    « Value hotel »

Well located near the downtown. No porters to assist with the luggage. No air conditioning (we didn't require in June!). Free car parking and a short distance away from the pubs and restaurants. We stayed only for a night. Breakfast was decent and the staff helpful and friendly. They made eggs to order for us on request though they were not obliged to do so. Rooms were nice with free wi fi. We were late in the evening and were recommended to eat at Earl's downtown by the reception, which turned out very well for us. We drove from Jasper to Banff the next day, one of the most scenic drives I have seen, going to Athabasca falls and Parkway Icefields on way. It can get a little disturbing in the morning as the hotel is built around the parking lot and many people leave early morning. The hotel has only two levels, G+1.

    5
    « Excellent stay »

The room was just what we required. A full kitchen, lovely bed, and beautiful bathroom. We were booked for 3 nights, but extended it to 5. Restaurant provided great meals. Had good laundry service, as away from home for 2 months.

    5
« Well placed to see all Jasper has to offer »

We had a smashing room, clean and well equipped, but without air con to help the planet. The room was ideal for our overnight stay, but we could have stayed longer - if we only had the time. A nice short walk into Jasper though a residential area with interesting houses to see on the way. The breakfast was really good value with a great selection. I am happy to recommend

    4
    « Nice room. »

First they put us in a basement room but upon going back to,the desk and asking for a balcony room, we wound up in a really nice little suite with a queen bed up in the loft and the seating area/washroom on the main floor, complete with fireplace (great for a winter stay, not so much in summer) and a small balcony which we took full advantage of. All in all, I would come back again. there is no air conditioning but did provide fans for downstairs and the loft. There was a skylight which opens but reaching it is a feat of accomplishment and was difficult to open. Suggest the hotel put a few dollars into fixing those so they are easier to reach and open.

    2
    « Meh, disappointed »

Thought it would be in a much better location, unfortunately not near the lake at all which is a bummer. Also got the poorer side of the hotel whose balcony literally stares away from the mountains.. The room condition is also kind of poor, expected better and it feels a bit dirty. It's a loft type of layout but incredibly stuffy, and there's mosquitoes. Wouldn't visit again

    4
    « Don't turn around in the bathroom - you can't! »

Stayed for 3 nights with our adult daughter in a one bedroom suite. In all aspects the suite was very good and like others we have stayed in, included all the bare essentials ie it could sleep 4 people so there were 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 knives, etc, etc! No spares! That said, it was certainly properly equipped for a stay at home with oven & cooktop, microwave, good size fridge, etc. The low eating bench with its 2 equivalently low bar stools meant the other 2 of the 4 had to eat standing up! Both the fold out double bed and the larger bed in the bedroom were very comfortable although the doona in the bedroom was too hot for me. The only failing of this hotel room from my perspective was the minute bathroom which, although accommodating all the necessary features, was so small that the door opened directly onto the toilet and you had to almost stand beside the toilet to close the door. That said, free WiFi worked well, the laundry facilities were clean and well equipped, the restaurant and bar excellent and location not too far to the centre of town - 5 min walk and in a relatively quiet area well back from the railway line. We'd stay again.

    « The busdriver gets a cellar room ! »

I was the tourleader of a group. Our rooms were all Iarge and very good suites. However I was so sorry for the type of room our driver was given. It was like in a jail !! To reach his small window, he had to climb on a ladder !! Why are they treated like this ?

    « Relaxing in Jasper »

Despite a poor start with the name on the booking & then a room change the stay was very pleasant The room was well appointed with a small kitchenette The bed was on a mezzanine level & very comfortable One pleasant surprise was having the heated indoor pool & spa to ourselves

« Big rooms with kitchen facilities »

Stayed for 3 nights. Rooms are big with a kitchen, lounge area, fireplace and separate bedroom. Well heated. Fire log provided. Free parking onsite. Restaurant onsite, breakfast is pretty good and good value at $12.95 for buffet. 10 minute walk into town centre. Bed is comfortable but the pillows are not.

    « Jasper Get Away »

The trip was a gift from my husband for my birthday. We stayed in a loft room. Having the kitchenette was great for having a breakfast and preparing lunches to take with us sight-seeing. We enjoyed the balcony especially in the evenings. The room was too warm but they do provide fans. The remote for one of the two TVs wasn't working but a call to the office provided quick response and a friendly staff member dealt with the problem. Our room was comfortable and clean, the hallway carpet is looking tired and somewhat worn. Lots of parking close to our room. The restaurant has wonderful waiters and three out of four meals were exceptional. The most expensive entrée was disappointing. Medium rare steak was very over cooked and not particularly good quality. Salmon, ratatouille, and meatloaf all superb. Bread pudding "to die for" - delicious. All meals beautifully presented. We enjoyed our stay.

    4
    « Best Western Jasper »

Our room was ok but the decor could do with a revamp, it's looking a bit tired and the colours in the bathroom weren't the best. The room was clean but very stuffy, we had to keep opening the door to let some air in. Location isn't great, it was quite a walk to downtown in the rain. There was an issue with broken washing machines, 3 washers but only 1 was working.

    3
    « Jasper Trip »

Hotel was clean and our Suite was quite large which was nice. However, we would have preferred to have been on the 2nd floor vs. the first. And considering the price, I would have expected a breakfast be included. All in all average is about right.

    5
    « Spacious and comfortable »

We had a large comfortable suite, spotlessly clean, although furnishings a bit tired. It was very well equipped with a full size cooker, also a log fire for winter use. The pool and hot tub were excellent, likewise the restaurant where we ate all three nights of our stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is quiet (as is most of Jasper) about 10 minutes walk from downtown and supermarket.

    4
« A very cosy hotel with nice rooms »

A very cosy hotel with nice rooms and excellent restaurant on site with convenient parking the only problem is the room on the loft is not comfortable as it has a skylight which does not close so bright light early morning and it is also stuffy there

    4
    « Enjoyable stay »

Not usually a fan of Best Western Hotels but this was really good. We booked two double rooms for two night and both were large and clean and reasonably priced for Jasper. Enjoyed good breakfasts and underground parking. Good location for downtown Jasper and to the nearby scenic sights.

    4
    « Excellent location »

We stayed here for 2 nights after disembarking from the Rocky Mountaineer train. Our suite was large and clean although the bathroom was rather small Good value buffet breakfast and a great pool which I had to myself on the morning I went in-had to wait until 9am for it to open, though. The location was excellent...just 10 min walk into the centre of Jasper. Recommended.

    5
« lovely stay in this great hotel »

we had a one bedroomed suite which was spacious and spotless. The staff were all lovely in particular Joe from housekeeping. The restaurant was really good, excellent food and good value. The added bonus is that it is also a short walk into town so we could try other restauraunts. Would really recommend here for a stay

« Lovely Unique Loft Suites »

Young couple stayed here for a night on our way through Jasper National Park and loved it! Very unique loft suites with a kitchen (a nice bonus) and had a pool! It wasn't too far from downtown Jasper easy walking distance and is at the same time secluded with a nice forest view. Would highly recommend!

    4
    « Enjoyed stay »

The Best Western Jasper was quite different than those BW's we stayed in during our recent visit to Alberta. The room was large in comparison and quite homey. The restaurant was good (at least for Breakfast) and overall, we enjoyed our stay which was only one night. Much preferred over the Banff we stayed in.

  • 3
« Room served the purpose »

The room was on two floors and included a small kitchen with microwave and electric hob. Cutlery and crockery for four but not necessarily very clean. Coffee and tea facilities also provided. Room was clean and quiet and for one night was acceptable. No lifts so necessary to carry cases. Breakfast buffet was not good! Juices we tasteless, coffee was so weak that was not worth having and bread needed to be toasted as was not fresh. Sausages had a rather different taste and best left alone. About two blocks from the Main Street so dinner and shopping close by.

    2
« Will not return if we have the choice »

We stayed just for a night because we drove from Banff and we wanted to explore Jasper. We paid almost $300. we were expecting to get our money's worth. There was no AC, the bed was so uncomfortable that my husband ended up pulling the chair and bed bench together to sleep. Worst of all, the glasses - BEWARE. I don't think they wash them. Please check everything before you use. I've seen TV shows with hidden cameras on hotel rooms, on how housekeeping staff clean the rooms and amenities- they just spray with water and wipe them. those are true- except this one is worst- the bottom of the glasses are filthy. You really have to check before using anything. I feel puking after using the rooms. never again.

    3
    « Nothing Special »

Our ground level room across from the restaurant was ok but looks old and tired. Time for room renos. The queen bed was adequate but not for long term sleep. Breakfast buffet very ordinary. The scrambled eggs were in a massive lump in the warming tray and the bacon lacked in meaningful flavor. Bread products were ok. Good service with the coffee. Front desk staff friendly and efficient.

    5
    « Great Stay »

My husband and I stayed here at the end of May/start of June in a loft suite with a balcony. The room was clean, but a little dated. Has a rustic feel to it, which suits the area. Nothing is particularly fancy, but I didn't feel it needed to be. It got warm upstairs in the bedroom area, but they had fans and an openable skylight to help with that. There was a wood burning fireplace we didn't use because it was too warm for a fire. Firewood was provided though. The great thing for us was the kitchenette with a mini fridge, range and microwave/convection oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and basic kitchen necessities/dishes. Everything in Jasper is stupidly expensive, so it's nice to be able to buy some groceries and keep them in the fridge (consider buying groceries in Hinton, food prices in Jasper are very high for certain things, normal for others). It also helps make it a little homey. We cooked ourselves breakfast and packed lunches for the day, which really helped offset the cost of the hotel. The room was $200 May 31 and $300 June 1st, so if you want to save some money, go before the start of June. I also loved the balcony. It's pretty close to your neighbours, but what can you expect? I loved sitting out there with my coffee (or wine) and getting a partial view of the mountains, while also looking out on the nicely kept grounds. Basic plastic chairs were provided. They were clean too. We used the pool, hot tub and sauna. There was also a steam room. Nothing super fancy again, but it was clean and well cared for. No complaints. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was quite good. We would definitely go back! Highly recommended. ??

    « Basic but spacious »

We were given an old smelly room on arrival. After complaining to the management they quickly responded and moved us to a good room. The room was very spacious and had a kitchenette with fridge, cooker and microwave plus an open fireplace and cable TV screen. There are small patios and balconies at each room. Bathrooms are good with bath and shower and plenty of towels and toiletries are provided. There are screens in the windows contra insects. The furniture is a little dated and worn in places. There is no air conditioning which is worth a mention but fans are provided in rooms. The staff here are extremely courteous and responsive to their customers. Jasper is a pretty quiet town so noise is not an issue. Free wifi at good speeds in rooms.

    3
« Conenient location at a great price »

This is a motel type building with very pleasant. The rooms are really suites, but the bedroom piece is quite small. The rooms are clean, efficient, with plenty of sitting room space, and kitchen facility. However, at least in the one I was, there was no airconditioner, which is needed during the hottest months of the year.

    3
    « Won't Return »

Not thrilled with the loft room, with a kitchenette, fireplace & balcony. It was surprisingly small & incredibly outdated. There's no A/C (which we knew before we booked). The bed & pillows were very uncomfortable. Throughout the night it sounded like the roof was going to lift off, which made it a little difficult to sleep. The staff was super friendly & the location was decent, but unfortunately I won't return.

    3
    « Good Location »

Clean and comfortable, easy walk into the town which had nice shops, restaurants and cafes. The tourist information centre is well worth a visit. Breakfast wasn't included but there are plenty of opportunities to grab a bite to eat in town or sit down in one of the bakeries if you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant. We were surprised to find a half eaten pizza in the fridge but this was soon disposed of. Staff were friendly and helpful.

    3
    « One night stay »

We recently spent one night at this Best Western. Hotels in Jasper are not cheap by any definition and this was on the lower end of the price point when I was booking (we chose to splurge instead in Lake Louise and Banff). I think we paid just shy of $200. The room was okay, adequate for one night, but old and tired and could definitely use updating. The carpet in our room was especially suspect and just didn't seem that clean (I actually reported a dirty, sticky spot in front of the fireplace to the front desk to ensure they knew it was there when we checked in). The fireplace was a nice touch as it was very cold and damp the evening we were there. I can see the appeal of this hotel for a longer-term stay, ie: skiing trip, etc. - the kitchenette would be very handy on a longer trip, as would the ski storage lockers outside, and the separate bedroom is nice. Wifi was frustrating and slow. We did not use the laundry or pool areas. All in all, sometimes you get what you pay for and I think the next time we're spending just one night in Jasper I'll just spend the extra $150+/- and stay at the Fairmont.

    5
    « Beautiful location »

The staff was terrific and the location was walking distance into town. The scenery was spectacular. Breakfast was not included with the stay. It was an extra $12.00. We enjoyed the fireplace and the peace and quiet.

« Great accommodation, great location, great staff »

We had 2 nights at The Chateau Jasper. Our rooms were great. We asked for a twin room and were given 2 wonderful comfy Queen Beds. It was ideally located for a short stroll into the gorgeous little town of Jasper or to sit in the park area. The woods ran behind, so we took a stroll and had fabulous views of Jasper. Staff were very helpful. It was fabulous seeing 3 Elks sat on the grass outside the hotel when we arrived! The Rocky Mountaineer Train Station is actually walking distance too. Would definitely stay here again if we re-visit Jasper.

    3
    « It's a Best Western »

We were only there for one night as we were catching the Rocky Mountaineer train the next morning. It was spacious and clean and tidy with a good sized bed. At the end of the day it was a Best Western hotel. That sounds like I'm damming with faint praise but you get what you pay for, and this hotel did the job required.

« Wildlife on your doorstep »

After reading some online reviews I originally asked for a room overlooking the garden, which was nice but we preferred the option of sitting out on the balcony in the late afternoon sun to enjoy a beer or two and watch some wildlife pass by. The Elk would often wander past totally oblivious to the coming and going from the Hotel. A room overlooking the "parking lot" was the answer, and one to seriously consider if you like the sun in the afternoon and sitting on the balcony. I had prime rib in the restaurant which was superb so all in all a very good option if in the Jasper area.

    « Jasper »

We had a king sized room with a full sized fridge and microwave. The bedroom was separate from the room with several hooks on the wall for hanging your clothes, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom was large and updated. There was also a wood burning fireplace which we did not use but it gave the room a light smell of burnt wood. This is the 5th hotel in Jasper that we have tried and will definitely return to this one again. On the other hand the breakfast buffet was not very good and you could not order off of the menu which is not very good for those with any food allergies.

« Jasper is worth the visit »

I suppose it is what we expected from a Best Western , a little old and tired 1 bedroom suite with very limited cooking facilities , but the restaurant was great and highly recommend that Jasper itself is quite small but the walks and wildlife were amazing On the way out of Jasper we actually saw a bear walking along train tracks at the side of the highway , so keep your eyes peeled if you visit

« Friendly staff and clean accomodation »

We visited just for one night. The front desk staff were very friendly. We had booked a suite. The room had a nice lounge area with a fireplace. Nicely stocked and very clean kitchen (although we didn't use it). A small bathroom with Bath and Body Works toiletries. The bedroom is separate with your wardrobe facilities outside of the door. As we were touring we also used the laundrette facilities which were very reasonable and had nice, up to date, washers and dryers. I would imagine the town to be more popular in the winter with skiers - there was even a ski store by the front door. So in the warmer months the bedroom can be a bit warm (there is a fan supplied), and with the door shut - quite claustrophobic. All in all a great location for your visit to the town or surrounding area.

    « Great Mountain Stay! »

I travelled to Jasper for business a lot in 2015 and 2016. While there I stayed at the Bester Western Jasper Inn & Suites. I've been in rooms on each of the three floors in what I would call the main building. My favourite room is the lower level suite. Staff are more than happy to assist me with my luggage and my office equipment when I check in which is nice because there is no elevator. For the most part, the facility is pretty quiet which is great for my needs as a business traveller. The restaurant on site is open for breakfast and supper. Breakfast is a buffet and the supper menu is varied. The food is great! I haven't had a bad meal there ever. The rooms are clean and comfortable which is a must for me. I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Laundry Facility Lacking.. »

Spent one night in loft room and needed to do laundry. There were only 3 washers and dryers which was inadequate for a hotel this size. It didn't help when inconsiderate guests didn't empty their laundry when done. There is a large room adjacent which only housed 2 vending machines. Perhaps additional machines could be placed there? The hotel room itself was clean, adequate but had dated furnishings.

    « Pleasant surprise! »

My sister and I were on a road trip to Northern Alberta and thought Jasper would be a great stop over. We checked into the hotel for one night. The check in process was quick and easy. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Our room had been recently renovated and we thought it was very clean, modern and comfortable. It had a great and well stocked kitchen (dishes, pots and pans etc. and real wine glasses!) It's within walking distance to restaurants and shops too! We liked it so much that we stayed there on our way back!

« Nice place with kitchenette. »

We stayed here while traveling through Canada. The room was very large with separate living/kitchen area. The kitchen area was vey nice with all the amenities needed for a short or long term stay refrigerator, microwave, stove, breakfast bar. There was a Keurig coffee maker too! There was something wrong with the tub, it was wobbly and I almost fell when I stepped in to it. I reported it to the front office staff and I'm sure they repaired it.

    « GREAT LEISURE BREAK »

Excellent hotel in quiet location but close to town centre. Very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent value. The staff were helpful and very attentive. We were able to park our car almost outside the room which was a bonus we hadn't expected.

    « Amazing Stay »

Arrived in Jasper after aong drive to stay at the Best Western jasper. We had a suite which had a lovely lounge. Full kitchen and separate bedroom. Hotel located in quiet area in Jasper easy walk into town. Friendly staff and location made it easy to get anywhere.

    « Unexpected upgrade »

We were given a Maligne Suite, two bedrooms, a kitchenette and a double jacuzzi bath. Reception staff member very helpful considering she was dealing with teenagers dashing all over and a group of noisy men. Our rooms were quiet and spotless. The Grill attached to the inn served food efficiently.

« Great room with outside patio; fantastic food »

The low rise buildings of this hotel made it look very attractive and peaceful. There is a Japanese themed rock garden as well which my room overlooked. The onsite restaurant was fantastic that I went twice in consecutive evenings (reviewed separately). The room is spacious with 2 queen beds and an outside patio/balcony with chairs. Ample parking spaces provided. There is an onsite indoor pool, hot tub and steam room facilities but I did not get to try them. Staff is friendly and helpful.

    « Very well »

Excellently well recommended for family. The loft is comfortable very good for a family of four. I hope breakfast is included for more convenience. However, the kitchen is well equipped for what you need to cook for. I hope for more parking inside though overall I will book my stay again. They are accommodating too.

« great room, fantastic food »

Our suite was outstanding, nice to have the kitchenette and the fireplace ,reasonable price. Service staff very friendly, food was very good (highly recommend prime rib Saturdays and brunch on Sundays, good value and quality). We would definitely stay here again next time in Jasper.

« One of the best hotels in Jasper »

a weekend getaway we rented the corner loft and it was fantastic..a kitchen dining room and a loft for the bedroom.my wife and I had a great time just relaxing and kicking our shoes off for a while..they also have a restaurant and dining areas below

    « Tired, over priced »

Had one night in a "suite", would not advise. No elevator, no air conditioning, and no free breakfast. For the price we paid, expected much more. Bathroom so small you could stand in the middle and touch all four walls. It was quiet, as off the main shopping district by a few blocks, but needs to be upgraded. Overall appearance old and drab.

    « Great Spot »

Friendly and helpful front desk staff, clean accommodations, great location. Front desk clerk gave us complimentary bear bells for our hikes. Only downside was the wifi - intermittent and very poor strength.

« Good place to stay »

Clean and comfortable room with doors that open to a balcony with two chairs, which was nice to have the opportunity to sit out in the fresh air. Reasonable breakfast service which was complimentary. (Waffles, toast, fruit, drinks etc) The Wifi was complimentary and offered reasonable speeds most of the time, with a few times of patchy connection and speed. Faster connection down by the restaurant. The on site restaurant was convenient with a good range of reasonably priced good quality meals. daily specials available. Plenty of on-site parking was available to enable parking near to the room so not far to carry luggage.

    4
    « A great hotel »

A great experience! Great location and wonderful service. easy in and out. fishing opportunity nearby. A town with great potential beyond tourism. Good food and caring staff. The children enjoyed the pool. The next room arrangement worked very well for our large family. It is near the railway station with easy access to rail traffic.

    3
    « good hotel »

This hotel has the old style of entering your room from the outside.my room was large and clean.Nice Pool!!! I very much enjoyed my stay there. I do not have a vehicle and it was within easy walking distance to downtown Jasper

    5
    « Excellent. »

Surprisingly we ended up with a loft room. It has a balcony, a loft bedroom, a kitchenette and is roomy and comfortable. It is clean and modern and the room rate was cheap. it was actually cheaper to book direct at the desk than through TripAdvisor. One of the better rooms we have ever booked. You can walk into town in a few minutes and central if you want to visit the local attractions. We have extended our stay to 4 days so we can see the sights.

    5
    « clean and comfortable »

The hotel is a bit of a walk from downtown Jasper but all in all situated well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant breakfast was lovely with a great assortment of choices and staff were very friendly.

    « Roomy accommodation »

Excellent loft room with plenty of room - wifi slow - but in the process of being upgraded - 10 minute walk to station and the small town of Jasper - needs a pillow menu - the pillows are really hard - pool, in house laundry (great value) restaurant and bar on the premises - would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jaspr

    3
    « Average »

It is a bit pricy. Breakfast is not included and the wifi was slow most of the time. The location is good but not the best in the town. The Resturant on site is not bad and it is affordable and not pricy as the hotel room. Overall I had an average stay.

    5
« Gorgeous suite and friendly staff »

I arrived in Jasper tired after a 4 day train journey so was delighted to find I'd been upgraded to a suite. It was superb - very spacious and stylish yet still cosy. Clean, comfortable and equipped with all the things you'd expect including a great bed and really powerful shower. The weather was unseasonably warm and I was provided with a fan (without even having to ask) which was very welcome. The hotel is just a 5-10 minute stroll from the centre of town and the train station. All the staff I met were really friendly and helpful and made me feel genuinely welcomed throughout my stay. Jasper is a delightful little town, but the great room and friendly service made my stay there extra special. Will definitely return!

« Nice warm rooms, excellent on-site facilities »

We stayed here in the month of April and, while the outside temperature was not hitting any extremes, our room was somehow at the upper limit of comfort (there is no air-conditioning, so I imagine guests staying in summer will need to keep windows open to combat the heat). The first room we were offered had an overpowering stench of ski boots (despite the local ski season having already ended prior to our stay), but staff at Reception were very good about quickly moving us to another room. The internet connection was quite slow, but then who needs internet when you have a pool, steam room, hot tub and sauna on-site, as well as a bar and restaurant (the latter offers a very reasonably-priced buffet breakfast). As our time here marked the midway point of a longer trip through Alberta and British Columbia, we were also pleased to find modern laundry facilities available for hire in our block. Excellent amenities all-around. The main eateries of Jasper are within about 15 minutes walk of the hotel, as is the railway station.

« Very cute and cozy for a weekend getaway in Jasper! »

We were pleasantly surprised to check into the Jasper Inn and find that we would not be staying in a standard hotel room! The loft with a Queen bed upstairs and a kitchenette/living room downstairs was perfect for our weekend and gave us the versatility to eat out or stay in while enjoying the sights of Jasper. I would definitely recommend!

« Good Hotel To Stay At »

We have stayed at this hotel on more than a few occasions and it works for us. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We had a loft style suite, with a kitchenette, which is handy for preparing small meals right in the comfort of your room. We did eat supper in the restaurant in the hotel and it was very good. We both had the salmon plate. This hotel also offers a great pool/hot tub/sauna and steam room.

    5
    « Very accomodating! »

The lady who checked us in understood that I was trying to plan something for my boyfriend for when he arrived (we were meeting in the middle, both driving well over 6 hours each). I wanted the king bed and fireplace, he wanted a Jacuzzi suite. With paying with our points, we could have one or the other, but when she understood what I was doing, she upgraded us to a suite free of any charges! I was so happy, so thankful. I will definitely be staying here again!

    « Freindliness outstanding »

Stayed at Jasper Inn for a few nights and found the front desk and the housekeeping staff exceptionally friendly . Room clean , simple but met what we needed. In same complex, was the Grill Inn which served a great buffet breakfast , and pub.

    « Really good quality »

Our stay at this hotel was really nice. Service was good, only downfall was the internet service, it was not strong. pool and steam room was amazing, nice way to just relax. in all the money spent was worth it, they could definitely improve the strength of the internet broadband

    5
« Relaxing in summer and winter »

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and in three different seasons. The staff is very friendly and nice. They have always been able give me directions and suggestions for new things to do. The rooms are a bit pricey in the summer, however, this year American money is worth a lot more in Canada! Worth the stay each time. Rooms have always been very clean!

« Great base for Jasper »

Great stay at the Best Western Jasper Inn in Jasper, Alberta. Stayed 1 night with my family (2 Adults, 2 Children). Very clean room with modern amenities. Room a little small for us (2 double beds) but that is to be expected of a hotel of this age. This room would be best for 2 people on an adventure holiday (hiking, cycling, skiing) as there was storage and laundry areas at the hotel. The pool was closed for a few days for renos but passes for the town recreation centre were offered. Would definitely stay again.

    5
    « Great Service »

We went for a weekend in Jasper as a family. We found a great customer service, good accommodations, very convenient kitchenette and fireplace. The breakfast buffet is awesome!. I really recommend Best Western Jasper!

    3
« Still Good but Needs Renos »

This is a pet-friendly hotel which I love, but the bed was waaaay too firm. The place is needing renos inside and out now. Lots of skiers stay here and its showing wear and tear. Friendly clerks. The kitchenette is great for breakfast and the pool area nice.

« Excellent in every way, shape and form!! »

Staying here every time I need accommodations in Jasper! Very clean, food was excellent, short walk to downtown and the staff are very friendly. Also a great view, mountains in every direction! We were there for the Jasper half marathon and hope to make it an annual ladies trip! Hot tub and sauna were welcomed after running!!

    4
« Pleasant one night stay »

We had a room with two double beds. It was quite small including the bathroom, but clean and close to town. The pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna area are well kept. The staff was friendly. Would recommend.

    « Best Western Jasper »

Would not be a first choice on the next trip. Pricey and rooms are dingy! Beds and pillows are very comfortable though! Jasper is a quaint little town and there many other options, thought with the Best Western logo, it would be better overall!

    « Loved our two-floor suite. »

Great stay here with two adults, three kids and a puppy. Decent food from the restaurant. Lovely room. Bottom floor was master bedroom, kitchen, bath, living room (with wood-burning fireplace and TV) and patio. Top floor was kid's room with three single beds and TV. Great pool with sauna, steam room and hot tub. Excellent service and decent value.

    4
    « Jasper Get-away »

A perfect stay in the beauty of the Rockies and Wapiti roaming free. The evenings were super quiet and calm. The Hotel Restaurant is above the average in the town so stay in and eat. The Pool was super clean as was the steam and sauna rooms.

    4
    « Nice accomodations »

The hotel is a older place but well maintained. We had a room with a fireplace and loft bedroom. It was very cozy and comfortable. The room was clean. It was about 20 degrees out when we were there and decided not to light the fireplace. That was probably a good thing because the only downfall of the loft bedroom was it was a little to warm with little ventilation. There was a fan provided in the loft and we never used it so I am sure we could have been more comfortable if we used it. We ate breakfast at the on site restaurant and it was very good!

    3
    « Hotel is OK »

Beds are comfortable, room was clean. Bathroom is OK but partially renovated. Bathroom is a little on the small side. Toilet lid does not clear the counter top. Tile had a small amount of mildew. One light didn't work. Lock on patio door was in need of service. Could not take beverages to the hot tub pool area in plastic cups. Staff were very stern about this policy.

« Best Western in Jasper AB »

We had an excellent time at this hotel. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs and I can't thank them enough for that. This is the second time we have stayed here and we were actually looking forward to eating in their restaurant - especially "Prime Rib" night. The breakfast buffet is also very good and well priced. The location of this hotel is great in that even though is if off the main roads, it is within walking distance of everything. I would have no problem recommending this hotel to my very good friends.

« Everything else was booked! »

We had to stay in Jasper one night for work and because it was a last minute trip, everything else was booked so we had to stay here. The only rooms left were on the ground floor with two double beds, with the parking lot right outside your window. The room was old and tiny; there is no air circulation into the room at all so we had to open the windows which of course made for a very noisy night as people and vehicles were coming & going all night right outside your windows. Even being on the ground floor, the room was very warm & stuffy so we had to run the table fan the entire time. The beds were not very comfortable and the bathroom was tiny. We were up and checked out by 7:30 the next morning as I just didn't feel comfortable in this room. The rooms on the upper two floors may be larger and nicer (don't know), the ones on the ground level felt like being in a basement, a warm & stuffy noisy basement. I would not stay here again if the ground floor rooms are the only thing available and I can't imagine staying here in the heat of summer; might be time for BW to consider portable AC units in each room.We did have dinner at the onsite restaurant and both the food and the service were great.

    « Excellent overnight stop »

My wife and I stayed here to break up our drive to Prince George. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to an executive suite. We also tried out the restaurant which we were very impressed with. The food was hot and the service was quick and efficient. My wife commented on liking the decor and said she would come back here to eat even if we weren't staying in the hotel. A great experience. Thanks

    « Suite for 6 »

Hotel Suite can accommodate 6 adults however only 1 small bathroom. A little outdated, Queen bed was comfortable, other beds, not so much. Reasonably priced with lower end interior finishes, such as microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, appliances etc. Not typical of Best Westerns ive stayed at previously. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. Restaurant and pool seemed adequate however did not use. Definitely an outdated experience however sufficient for our purpose.

« STOP OVER WHEN TRAVELING »

Clean hotel a block off the main road close to the downtown area. Parking was not a problem since we stayed mid week. Could see it being an issue during busy times. Had breakfast in the restaurant and would probably go elsewhere for breakfast the next time. Hot food was not hot and some looked like it had been out for a long time. Checking in/out was quick and easy. Did find the room extremely hot when we arrived but opened the windows for the night to be comfortable. Plugged in a phone for charging and did not realize the outlet did not work until the next morning.

« Great location pet friendly »

This is a great location very quiet away from the highway. Just a short walk to downtown nightlife or you can stay onsite as there is a restaurant Awesome bed, fireplace and staff is very friendly Welcoming for pets too with a bag of goodies for them Quiet relaxing location We will try them again when we are not camping

« Simply the Best Western »

Stayed here for 9 nights in March 2016. Being a travel agent I was fortunate enough to get a very good rate on our room, but having stayed there I would not have been disappointed with paying full price. The four of us stayed in a mezzanine apartment. It was small but not cramped. It was clean, well appointed (with a coffee machine!) and the beds were very comfortable. Most evenings we ventured down to the pool area to soak in the hot-tub after a day on the slopes. The facilities were clean and well maintained, with fresh towels available in abundance. The pool itself was a maybe little cold, while the hot-tub felt almost as hot as the sun, but otherwise the facilities were excellent. The on-site restaurant, The Inn Grill, was superb. Emily served us on our two evening visits; the service was top notch and the food absolutely delicious, with generous portions. Their bison meatloaf was incredible, as was the 'black bottom pie' desert. The breakfast buffet was very good too, and fantastic value at $10. Location wise, it's about a 5-10 minute walk into town. The Marmot Basin shuttle bus stops right outside, though you can't buy tickets at reception. The staff at the hotel are excellent. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly, and Romina on reception in particular deserves a mention. She checked us in and out, and seemed to be on duty whenever we called the desk or had to pop in. She made enquiries with a local tour company for the Maligne Ice Canyon tour, and made the booking on our behalf, gave us directions, numbers for cab companies, and she even mailed an item of lost property to us after we returned home. She could not have been any more helpful. The Best Western Jasper Inn & Suites isn't luxury, but it really is an excellent choice of accommodation and we were all very happy during our time there. Each of us would absolutely be happy to stay there again.

    « Weekend getaway »

Nice quiet and tucked away, a bit of a walk to downtown but nothing's too far in Jasper. Clean rooms and beds are alright. Wish there weren't so many children there during our stay running up and down the hallways but hey, can't be the only ones in the hotel right? Worth staying at.

    « Jasper weekend »

For the past 10 years we have come to Jasper to ski and for over half of those years we have stayed at the Best Western, Jasper Inn. (sometimes we didn't book it early enough and could not get rooms). Still our favorite when going to Jasper with family.

    5
    « Excellent Suites »

We stayed in one of their suites and were not disappointed. Large and comfortable with nice views to the garden and mountain this room was well equipped with two large beds and a comfortable seating area. The jacquzi was a real treat and easy to operate. The room was clean, quiet and well maintained. Breakfast was extra; which I thought should have been included for the price.

    5
« Great rooms and amenities »

We always enjoy the comfort and spaciousness of the larger rooms with the full kitchen and living room. It is an extra pleasure to have the space to kick back in after a hard day of skiing. The hotel is in easy walking distance to downtown, but being off the main street means you don't deal with the traffic noise.

    1
    « Terrible!! »

Where should I start??? No parking available so I had to park down the street which worried us as we kept our skis in the vehicle overnight. The room was ridiculously hot even with the thermostat turned down all the way. No air circulates in there and there is no air conditioner to run as a fan. We had to open a window just to cool the room but we were on the main floor facing the parking lot so it was noisy when the window was open. I can't imagine staying here in the summer. To top it off, the guests in the adjacent room came in at 2:30am and made ruckus that woke us up. Most BW's have free breakfast but not this one. There is a restaurant attached which had a buffet breakfast for $9.95. The people at the hotel, both reception and at the restaurant, are very efficient and friendly. There is a pool and hot tub that were clean and nice even though the pool was a bit cold. Wifi is free and works well. The location is good as it is a short 10 minute walk to town.

    « Great family hotel »

We stayed in 1 B/R & 3 bed loft, kitchen, living room, fire place. Great for families with children. Pool, restaurant, prices are fair & we stay at BW Jasper Inn 6 times p.a. Our kids luv it as do we. Thx to awesome staff.

    « Relaxing and enjoyable »

There are two flights of stairs to get to the floor for the room. The halls and staircases are clean. In the room has a counter-top stove, convection microwave oven, large coffee pot so if you wish you may bring your basket filters and coffee. Coffee is supplied but we like more and our own. There is everything needed to cook with in the room. There is a small fridge and the shelves are of a fair size. There is a counter with stools that slide under for the eating at the counter. A fireplace is within the room and one log is provided. A chest of drawers supports a television. A fold out couch is in the room with chair and a footstool that slide under the chair, a coffee table and an end tables. There is lots of room under the stairs up to the loft to store items. There is an ironing board and iron. There is a fold up suitcase holder. The bathroom holds the tub, toilet and sink. The loft is up a flight of stairs that bank sharply to the left for the loft area where there is a queen bed, two night stands, chest of drawers with a television and an area to hang clothes and a stool. There are two fans in the room and with the sun shining down, it does get quite warm. The loft as a skylight. A walk out balcony has large sliding doors. This room faces the courtyard. The hotel has a pool, exercise room, and restaurant onsite that serve breakfast and supper/dinner. Lunch is not available. With the kitchenette within the room though, eating out is more of a treat when booking these types of rooms. They have a laundry area (coin operated), storage for skis and an area where waxing is available. The room is comfortable and very clean. The hotel is quiet. The check-in/check-out staff are friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff are friendly and accommodating.

    « Excellent Stay »

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this little town nestled within one of Canada's National Parks. Our room was beautiful and the facilities were perfect for us. The common areas are a little older but well maintained. Even though we didn't bring our dog this time, this is a pet friendly motel and will definitely come back with our dog.

    4
    « Quiet night »

Large property with pool and hot tub. I picked a room with a whirlpool bath in room and it was very clean and functional. No A/C would normally be a deal breaker for me but it was March so I took a chance and needed to keep the fan on all night which was mildly annoying.

« Overnight stay in motel »

We have stayed at many Best Western Hotels in both North America and in Europe and we feel that this hotel did not meet Best Western standards. The suite does not appear to have been modernized possibly from 1950-1960 . Also found white powder on baseboards in bedroom, mouse traps under kitchen sink, tacky signs asking people not to hang their clothes on lamp shades. In the morning (8:30) we went for breakfast in their restaurant, told the only food available was a buffet and all of the food was cold (scrambled eggs, bacon etc) we found the staff to be friendly. There are many hotels available in Jasper but we would not recommend staying at this one.

« Nice place to stay »

Good hotel. Renovated, great location, great stuff, really nice rooms. Restaurant is excellent for dinner quality/ price wise. Only one minor thing didn't work for us - coffeemaker ;) Also read a manual for microwave - looks more like spaceship lol))))

    « great for families »

Stayed for the weekend with family of five while visiting the national park. We stayed in the two bedroom suite with the mezzanine/loft. The room had everything needed and was warm. The decor was starting to get a bit tired. Kids loved the pool - would stay again.

    4
    « Decent Stay »

The hotel was nice. There was a fly in our room upon arrival. Besides that everything else was nice. We were told breakfast was included, however once we checked in we were told breakfast is not included. There was a small room outside our hotel where we were told to store our snowboards. There was a key inside our hotel room. We tried for about 10 minutes to open the small door and nothing happened. The next morning we saw house keeping open the door and inside of it was bed sheets and linens. Kind of annoying that we wasted time trying to open the door.

« Clean and affordable! Loft rooms! »

After a long day of traveling from Banff to Jasper, we needed a place to stay as we were passing through. This hotel was a good price and very clean. If your looking for a good place to sleep 3 people separately, this is it. They have loft rooms that are not advertised on their web page!

We came here for a hockey tournament in November. We had a really great rate of $109.00 which we thought was fantastic for the tourist town of Jasper. We had a 2 bed room although the beds were double rather than queen. This made for a bit of an uncomfortable sleep for all of us. As well as we found the room to be extremely hot and we were unable to control the heat in the room. There is no air conditioning in the rooms at this hotel. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. We had a variety of rooms throughout our whole team and the kitchen/loft rooms were quite nice and roomy but also hot. The rooms had balconies but there were signs posted asking guests not to open them in the winter as pipes may freeze. The linens were new and clean. The towels were quite thick and were quite nice. The cleaning staff was very lovely and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet style for $10/person. It was decent. We found the restaurant a bit pricey yet good but we probably wouldn't eat here again but look for somewhere else in town to eat. We would stay here again if visiting Jasper.

« Best Western in Jasper »

We've stayed here quite a few times. The staff are always very friendly. The rooms, depending on what size you get, can be quite small, if you're not in an upgraded room, but they are fully equipped with a kitchen which was a nice unexpected surprise.

Powder in room for "pests" was a concern. Made us question whether it was preventative or if the hotel had an issue in the past. When we asked the front desk, we were advised that the powder was "natural" and being in a national park it is something that is used. We have never encountered this staying in Jasper numerous times.

« Quick Family Get Away »

We stay at Best Westerns whenever possible. This particular Best Western is in desperate need of updating. Rooms are small and narrow, bathrooms are extremely tiny and the decor is rustic and out of date. When we got to our room the thermostat was set at 10C, but the temp in the room was 22C. The room smelled musty and beds were very uncomfortable. There are signs on the windows to not open them to cool off the room, but it is the only was to get a reasonable temp to sleep in. We heard several guests make the same comment about the excessive heat and lack of temp control. Parking is minimal and on the back side of the hotel there is no through road, so vehicles are trying to turn around or back up when they discover there is no space to park. We totally understand that this is a ski town and the hotels are going to be full no matter what. However, as the economy continues to get tougher, people will have the ability to pick and choose. I don't believe we would choose this hotel again.

We really enjoyed this hotel!!! Most hotels in Jasper are on the older side so no 5 stars here. We had a room with a loft which left us a lot of room to hang out and watch tv with friends. Much better than sitting on beds. The staff was wonderful, very polite & helpful. Downsides...... Dinner took more than an hour to come and they do not serve lunch at the restaurant on site.

« Been Here Many Mant Times »

We have never been disappointed. Clean, friendly staff, not far from downtown. There are many hotels in Jasper and we have always liked the atmosphere here. Lots of parking and we have found the staff very helpful with our questions.

« Clean with great pool......less stellar beds »

Rooms are small with uncomfortable (but clean!) beds. Staff are all very friendly. Great pool, hot tub, sauna & steam facilities - all indoors. Location of hotel is in Jasper, putting it conveniently close to restaurants, shopping, skiing, hiking, etc.

« The Inn is a GREAT choice in Canada's winter wonderland »

100 members of my seniors ski club stayed for 4 days mid January 2016 on a ski tour. The rooms are excellent for our needs and very comfortable w fire places. Lindsey Gunson, Group Sales Manager was excellent at tending to any of our last minute needs and Matt the Inn Restaurant Manager runs a quality restaurant & bar with terrific meals and service. We couldn't have ask for anything more. Our first choice in Jasper.

« Perfect room and food »

We ended up staying here by accident one Friday night as we were having car issues on the way through the park. By the time we booked in they had only one of their more expensive ski chalet rooms available- I think it came in at around 230 dollars. The room was absolutely spotless and stunning- it had a whirlpool, a suite, a kitchenette, a television and a balcony. The balcony looked out onto the beautiful garden area that they had, (and of course the mountains), it was very peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay there, the bed was so comfortable that we slept solidly. We were pretty travel-weary so we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant for the sake of convenience. I was so glad we did- the food was really delicious, it actually took us by surprise. The wine too was excellent. When we commented on how good the food was to the lovely lady at the desk we were told that they had been making a very conscious effort to improve the calibre of food served. It has definitely paid off. The restaurant is definitely worth visiting, even if you are not staying at the hotel! My only complaint is that the staff did begin to very loudly set the restaurant up for breakfast at around 9.00pm whilst discussing their night out ahead. This didn't bother us too much though as we're used to it happening in quite a lot of Canadian restaurants. All in all it was a great impromptu stay that we were very grateful for, especially considering the bad travel luck we were having at the time!

    « Cozy room with a fireplace »

We stayed an extra day in Jasper because there was a terrible storm. We moved here from the Jasper Park Lodge. The room was very reasonably priced. We had a little kitchenette, a sitting area with a fireplace (and a log was provided). The bed was in a loft upstairs. It was wonderful except the wifi was quite slow. We used the hot tub which was clean and convenient to get to. We also ate breakfast the following morning in the restaurant and the staff was very attentive and the food was good.

« Well staffed , reasonably priced family rooms »

Pretty much what you would expect from a ski town hotel. We rented a loft room. It is upstairs and you have to carry all your baggage up the stairs and down a hallway to your room. Upstairs has 3 beds, main floor bedroom has a queen and the living room has the standard pull out couch. The unexpected was there was no dishwasher. Also given this is a ski hotel for much of the year, we expected a place to hang all the ski gear to dry out. Maybe folks would think it was ugly but we would have appreciated some hang spots in the living room. We had boots all over the place too. The staff went above and beyond. We had one skier who injured his leg. They had to take a taxi from the hospital back to the room and had forgotten their room key in their ski bags. Staff made sure they were able to get to the upstairs room. They didn't have cash for the taxi so the driver just came back later to collect the fair. A lovely young gentleman helped us load the car at the end of our stay and didn't want to take a tip. They were wonderfully helpful and it was much appreciated.

After driving from Banff, the hotel was easy to find however we had booked in on a holiday weekend so it was full. the room was very dark and had white powder all around the walls, when speaking to someone who works there they said it was to keep out insects which was not very pleasant. The staff were polite and the rooms were cleaned.

This Hotel Is Exceptional Value For Money with High end Service. Meal Reservations are on time and the Dining is Exceptional. The Menu selection is hearty tried and true energy food for the snowy nights. The rooms are well laid out Separate bedroom Kitchen and living space with bathroom....Even a fireplace. Although I did not use the sauna's, pools etc. they were nice. The Hotel even had a telescope that was neat.

    « Basic but Comfortable »

My Fiancee and I stayed here along with my Mum in September 2015. Rooms were clean, if a little dated and with trees along the front they were a tad dark. Staff were not exactly attentive but never the less they were polite. The restaraunt on site was very good and it served as a perfect base for us to explore

« Clean, roomy convenient and a fire place! »

Great hotel for family- plenty of room to spread out- loft with twin beds upstairs, queen room downstairs with tv room and small kitchen- very convenient to sites, nice restaurant and the best thing- a fireplace- it was like a ski resort! Best place we stayed in Canada!

    3
    « Decent price »

The rooms here were clean and comfortable considering it was one of the cheaper places in town. The heat/air circulation in the room was horrible though and we had to open the window to sleep which gave us both a cold for a week after. Our room was by the stairs to the pool so we heard kids running and yelling until it closed at 10 pm. I will go to the restaurant again but the hotel itself will probably be last on our list for next trip.

« Second stay at this location »

The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The loft room is very nice with the fireplace and a small kitchen. The only small concern I had with our stay was one of the pillows on the couches looked like it had dog hair on it.

    « Nice Mountain Getaway »

We stayed at the Best Western at the end of December for 2 nights so we could do some skiing and go for a couples getaway. We got an awesome room that could use a few renovations, as it was pretty aged. It was nice having a fire place and jacuzzi in the room, especially after a long day of skiing. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room since all we had was a fridge and a kettle. Housekeeping didn't do much except for make the bed and empty the garbages, they didn't even move empty bottles or cans. We would probably stay here again if the price was right.

    « Fabulous restaurant! »

We stayed mid-December. Rooms were clean, amazing food and service at The Inn restaurant, and the swimming area provided a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room to relax in. My only concern would be the noise from adjoining rooms... there were a few parties going on which was a little disrupting but is not the hotel's fault. I chose to not complain to the management.

« Nice but needs Improvements »

Stayed at the hotel over Christmas for three nights. Rented a suite with a kitchen, loft with three single beds and a queen bed in a separate bedroom below. Negatives: Kitchen had very very minimal equipment to cook with. Not much for cutlery or cookware. It was pretty tough to cook breakfast with only one frying pan! Very little plates, cutlery, tea towels etc. only one single sink and not much counter space. Only two small bar stools - inadequate for a family suite. Also not very sound proof from lost to bedroom below. Small TV in living room should be replaced with a big screen tv and little TV put into bedroom. When I complained about the kitchen needing some more equipment I was told next time I coils bring my own. For $249 a night I expect this to be supplied when I book with a full kitchen! Pluses: Christmas buffet was incredible!!! Very delicious with a wide selection. Matt who runs the restaurant is extremely personable and accommodating! Great job Matt!! Suite layout: very nice and well thought of - the lack of dining space or stools. Two stools is inadequate. Pool, hot tub and steam room were nice and not very busy. It's not accessible from rooms though and you have to go outside. Fireplace added to the atmosphere and the tiny Christmas tree in the suite was a nice touch. This could be a really nice place to stay with some easy fixes!!! I hope they read this and take my suggestions.

    « Snowy Christmas Eve »

My wife and I spent our Christmas Eve at this wonderful Mountain Resort and the room was so bright and cheerfull with a cute little fireplace. We spent the day wrapping gifts for our family and in the evening went for dinner at their awesome restaurant . The food was great and the presentation attractive . Later we took in the pool and hot tub and finished off the evening with a glass of wine while sitting in front of the fireplace . In the morning we awoke to find an elk grazing in front of our window , whats not to like ? A wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting with friendly and helpfull staff .

« Great location, comfortable stay »

Well located about 10 minutes walk from downtown and in a quiet location. We enjoyed our stay here, the room was large enough and comfortable, great views of the mountains from the front of the Hotel. The hotel also has a good grill which we tried on the first night. Recommended

« Great Place to Stay and within walking distance of downtown. »

The Manitoba Motor League did the looking and the booking for me. I said I needed a place to stay in Jasper with a pool and hot tub and this is what they picked out for me. An excellent place to stay with a friendly helpful staff. This would be a good place to stay if you have children and teens with you.

« Nice Pool and Friendly Staff. »

We decided to stay here because of the indoor pool and hot tub. We really liked the pool area. The Best Western itself is dated but the beds were comfortable and met our needs. Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Thank you to all the staff who took the time to make us feel welcome.

    « Good value »

Nice location, and decent value - it's an easy 10 minute walk - maybe 5 into town, friendly staff. Accommodation is comfortable and rooms are pleasant enough. Breakfast is pretty average but nice enough I guess. This is a sort of place to stay if your ok with an average to good hotel, and you just want to be close to town centre.

« great price for a great stay »

This place was the perfect fit for me, close to downtown, walking distance to the bar and not too hard on the wallet. Even though the pool and breakfast was closed. Will be returning to jasper and will stay here!

I loved my room! It was a queen suite! Cute real fireplace and full kitchenette! Also staff were accommodating to my requests! Playpen was provided for my baby and ready for me at check in! Just wished the restaurant was open during the afternoon! But the hotel is close to everything to town so simple enough to go get food :) I had a great stay !

« Great staff, bad rooms »

This hotel needs a major renovation. The one bedroom suite was very small and dimly lit. The bathroom was very old and absolutely needs updating. This was not a good experience. The staff were absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful. The pool was also small and cold.

« Clean but a haven for drunk travellers »

When I checked the website for the hotel, everything seemed fine. It wasn't till we arrived that we found, the restaurant, pool hot tub etc all out of service and shut down. This information should have clearly been available before booking. Due to the location of the hotel and winter conditions, you needed a vehicle to go for food etc. The room on checking was clean and tidy, nothing fancy. My wife and I came for two days relaxation and just to get away from city. The drunks started at midnight arriving and banging, TV loud and throwing up. Still at 5 am, we tried to call the front desk multiple times but got no answer. I had to get up and walk a distance to the check in only to find the door locked. I waited about 10 mins until someone finally arrived. I made the complaint. They did finally take care of the issue, but our night was ruined. The next day we were out and enjoyed the day sightseeing, returning to relax for the evening. We had a difficult time finding a parking spot and again noticed people hauling cases of beer etc into the hotel. I also noted that diesel trucks were left running all night in the parking lot, causing us to listen to the hum of an engine all night. Once again all night long we had noise and doors slamming and people in the hallways yelling. We couldn't wait to get out of there. What a total waste of our relaxed weekend away. This cost us money hoping to relax but ended up with a wasted weekend, having to return home to rest!

    « Would NOT recommend »

Booked a pet friendly room via Best Western Canada and I was quoted a rate. When I booked into the hotel, I was told that they did receive the booking and the booking said that I had a pet. They then told me that there's an additional fee for a pet friendly room and another fee for the pet. (Plus Parks Canada charges you if you stay in Jasper) I tried unsuccessfuly to resolve the additional charges with the hotel front desk and again with the manager. I then contaced Best Western Canada and they gave me a credit for the additional charges. (Kudos) I gave the hotel a rating of one since I can't give them a zero.

    « One night stay »

We stayed one night on our way home to the states. The hotel was close to restaurants and was quiet and comfortable. Our room was quiet, clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable, the bedding clean and fresh and the bathroom was spotless. I would recommend this hotel for short or long stays. Well done Best Western Jasper!

    3
« Basic room for not bad price. »

The bedroom was right beside the door and the hallway, so it was very noisy. If anyone walking by was talking, you could hear their conversations as if they were right in the room with you. I stepped on a broken drill bit that was embedded in the floor by the bed and hurt my foot, when we mentioned it to the staff at checkout, they did not seem to be very concerned... The toiletries were a nice treat, they were bath and body works, and the coffee maker was a Keurig and several pods of coffee were available.

« Good family vacation hotel - dated but clean - no breakfast »

Affordable hotels with more than 1 bedroom are hard to find in Jasper but this one fit the bill. It's located towards the end of town but about a 10 min walk to the center. Rooms are dated and small but functional and clean. Our unit had a private bedroom downstairs with a queen bed, a pull out couch in the main living area and then an upstairs loft room with 3 single beds. Bathroom was tiny. I wouldn't rush to stay here again but I wouldn't avoid it either. Unlike many Best Westerns this one does not offer complimentary breakfast although a buffet breakfast is available for a charge in the restaurant.

    « Dark and Dirty »

There were no lights in back parking lot, only entrance to room,. There was a truck full of Men hanging out drinking at entrance. The room door lock was loose and didn't seem secure. The walls in the room were covered in dust. The employees were dismissive of my concerns, rolled her eyes when I mentioned the lighting and the men hanging out and made excuses when I mentioned the amount of dust in the room. Said it is a preventative compound they use.

« Dusty, old and expensive but friendly staff »

How am I gonna get to 200 characters when this is all I have to say about the place, especially after coming from Stoneridge in Canmore, ouch ! The pool area and steam bath were nice though, but the biggest complaint would be the room. Please invest in the place and refurbish the rooms. I would not come back here if I was ever to return to Jasper.

A great place to stay. Everyone was so friendly, the breakfast for $10. was fantastic, and the location was great. I will definitely stay here again. « nice hotel to stay and excellent service »

It was good and happy experience with my trip to Alberta. Hotel out looking was old however it was clean and nice. I enjoyed steam sauna and hot tub especially cold weather. Service was excellent for my question for microwave. Instead of telling me where it is they brought it to my room right away. What a nice and amaging service!

    « Nice stay »

My wife and I stayed Oct 22 and 23. The room was clean and well set up if we wanted to cook our own meals but the restaurant had a very good rating and the food was excellent. Their chef certainly had a good handle on preparing and presenting his interpretation of how to please folks. Although the room prices were a bit more than I'm used to, it was well worth it in the long run. We also saw Col. Chris Hadfield at a presentation which was partly sponsored by the hotel. All in all well worth the money.

« Great place for a business stay »

Booked a 2 BR suite w/loft bedrm. Fantastic room. Actual seating area w/chair, love seat & coffee table. Fireplace was a nice bonus although we did not use it. Would be very nice feature for a ski stay though! TV could have been slightly larger, 32" just isn't big enough for this room. Kitchenette was useful but mostly the fridge, no need for trips to the ice machine! Staff were very accommodating & friendly. Housekeeping was in every day to vacuum, clean the bathroom & replenish towels. Nice to have a pool, lounge & restaurant on site as well! Bonus wildlife sighting right beside rear parking lot. 3 elk casually grazed through!

« Great hotel, great stay »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant was good and convenient. The only negative is that breakfast is not free as it is at most Best Westerns. We highly recommend this hotel. And Jasper is a super place to visit.

« Suite Life at the Inn »

My wife and I traveled to Jasper on the long Thanksgiving Holiday. We stayed at the Jasper Inn and Suites and were not disappointed. We were assigned to a suite with a very large bathroom, with most of the modern-day amenities. (The only thing lacking in the bathroom was a shower curtain.) The bathtub was very large and "jetted." I would recommend to management that they invest in another shower curtain, as it prevents the floor from become water-logged. Management should also replace some of the floor tiles that have become cracked. There was also a small kitchen area in the suite. Management provided us with a Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods. We found this to be a real nice touch. In all, we enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Jasper Inn. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.

« Friendly staff working in a well looked after hotel. »

This 4 storey hotel does not have an elevator, but it really isn't all that important. Our loft suite was on the 4th floor. It had a lovely, well appointed kitchenette. The bedroom was in the loft. TV on both floors. We were pleased one morning when we went to our car to find an elk family off the parking lot eating grass.

    « Good Location & Good Value »

We stayed here as a couple in September 2015. The Best Western has good rooms and facilities. Our room was clean and had plenty of space. The hotel is walking distance from main amenities in the town. We had no problems during our stay and would recommend staying here.

    « Quiet Comfort »

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for Thanksgiving weekend, and it was pretty much exactly what we were looking for. The rooms are efficiently laid out to make the most out of the space available. While not overly fancy, the room was very well equipped and furnished. Staff were friendly and helpful. The indoor pool is extremely cold, and the pool showers are colder. There could stand to be more parking available, as one night we had to park on the street. Wifi was inconsistent, and often slow. This hotel is a little off of the beaten path so it's a nice, quiet area with easy access to downtown Jasper and the surrounding area.

« Tired decor, smoke smelling "nonsmoking" room »

Location close to town, room very tired and smellying of smoke, it was non smoking. Hotel claims to have been refurbished but this cannot be more than a lick of paint as the fixtures and fittings were showing signs of wear. The room design is somewhat compromised as the electric cooker is right next to the sink where you would expect to see a draining board and although there is a fire guard i'd not feel confident lighting a fire with the curtains so close. Overall we had a fantastic trip to Canada but this hotel was the low point by a long way. When we told the staff about our concerns there was little effort to improve the situation. We were made to feel an inconvenience when asking the young lady on reception to help booking the Lake Maligne trip. The staff in the Inn Grill were a pleasant surprise, really cheerful and helpful. Would use restaurant again, but would look for somewhere else to stay.

« Friendly hotel with spacious well equipped rooms »

We stayed here for two nights as part of our self drive independent holiday. Our room was on the first floor in one of the farthest rooms. However the receptionist insisted that we left our heavy luggage and a porter would bring it along, which he did five minutes later. So we found our room and were pleasantly surprised. We had a large kitchen/sitting room with a balcony overlooking the mountains(and another hotel). We also had a loft bedroom overlooking the sitting room. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was downstairs but we left a small light on so nocturnal visits were not a problem. Although we were not staying long enough to use the kitchen for meals it was great to have a kettle and teapot. We also had complimentary water in the room and apples in reception. We were tired on our first night, although our friends managed a swim in the hotel pool, so we decided to eat in the hotel. The meal was good pub style food and the wine was good. We had breakfast at the hotel. Standard fare but some of the hot food ,especially the scrambled egg, seemed to have been out for a while. However the coffee and tea flowed well with the waitress constantly checking if more was needed. Not a luxury hotel, but friendly ,clean and spacious and we would definitely stay there again.

« Subterranean Blues in a 'Best' Western »

Ok we were desperate. There didn't seem to be any rooms left in Jasper so we booked this place without looking at Trip Advisor. We moved our gear in and noticed that it was a below ground level room and quite dark. Kind of reminded us of a basement apartment in a frat house except the window was above ground. We thought about bailing but they had our money and it was non-refundable. In their defense they had mentioned this issue on the phone but one had to see it to believe it. Next shock was the white powder spread on top of the baseboard behind the bed. We called the desk and they said not to worry, that this was how they dealt with insects and we should read the room info. Sure enough there it was and there was also a card stuck in the lamp by the bed describing how they use the more environmental friendly diatomaceous earth to kill insects. Now this is a noble cause but we would prefer not stay in a place that has an insect problem although we never did see a critter. The final insult was the green light in the smoke alarm that was located directly over the bed leaving a creepy green shadow on the bed all night. Now couldn't they have moved this detector? The walls were also very thin so not a good place for a nights sleep. All of this for for $273 with tax, the most expensive place we have stayed at in our travels through many of the US National Parks or downtown Rome.

    « Tired Hotel »

Location and cleanliness are good but the hotel is tired. Room was dark and decor dark. Furniture was tired. Jasper does not have a lot of choices for better scale accommodation. Seems like same old hotels that were there 20 years are still there with minor makeovers and with very few new ones added. Found excellent restaurants nearby and could walk to town center easily.

    « "Best worst one" Avoid room 309 !! »

Not impressed by the fact our room 309 had some sort of heating regulator which banged and clicked. At 11pm I phoned reception having been unable to get to sleep and a maintenance man was sent to check it out. Apparently the noise was unavoidable, ("that's where the pump is for the steam heating") and we were unable to sleep properly. I was expecting a room move but to no avail. It is apparent from damage to the panel that desperate visitors had tried to remove it in an effort to silence the pump! Not good.

    « Great location! »

Pros: We stayed in a pet friendly suite, they gave our dog a goodie bag which was a nice touch! Location is right in Jasper close to everything! Great views! The room was nice and perfect for what we were looking for. I appreciate that the hotel uses environmentally friendly practices! We'd stay here again! Cons: Our room had a strong cooking smell to it and a large stain on the carpet. It needed to be aired out.

« Easy and Satisfactory place to stay in Jasper »

We stayed in a suite which has a bedroom area up a few stairs on a mezzanine level. There were plenty of drawers and space to off load. On the ground floor there was a sitting area with settee and chairs and a kitchenette with breakfast bar. The kitchenette was well equipped and included a kettle and tea-pot - much appreciated by us Brits. The bathroom was also on the ground floor which was perhaps a disadvantage if you have to go to the loo in the middle of the night - but the bathroom was a decent size and in good condition. There was a good sized balcony with chairs, so worth paying the extra for a mountain view if you think you will use it. My only criticism is that the lighting was poor, especially in the bedroom area. The check in staff were helpful. There is no elevator but they have a porter to help with luggage if needed. We used the hotel restaurant for dinner which was very good, and for breakfast, which was less good with a limited choice, and food that appeared to have been hanging around for some time. It was an easy level 10min walk into the downtown area where there are plenty of restaurants also.

Getting to the hotel ...
