Best Western Jacksonville Inn

Every yr it's problem after problem. One yr it was bugs crawling on the walls, then it alarms going off in our room no one could figure it out for over an hour, now this yr it was ants. All over everything on our counter. Tooth brush, tooth paste, food, towels, ect. I was told I wouldn't be charged for the entire bill like usual it was only $5 -10 dollars off the bill this yr we had to pay the full price for the ants. Ants were in my room and my daughter's room . Nasty

Always stay here when visiting family/friends. Staff is always very accommodating and willing to go out of their way to ensure your stay meets your expectations. Will return next time I'm in the area.

Hotel & rooms smelled musty & moldy. The gentleman checking us in was smoking pot outside. He had his car parked in the entrance way. The best part of the hotel was the nice lady who made a great breakfast each day!

I stayed overnight with my son at the Jacksonville TX Best Western. The hotel was super clean and comfortable. The employees were extremely nice and each one greeted me. A nice bonus, there are wonderful restaurants located across the street.

I can count on one hand the times that I have reviewed a business in my 42 years, and I certainly have never reviewed a hotel/motel...wether I was happy with the service or not. This time, I feel I must. Please bear with me. I am writing this review after many hours on the road while the details are fresh. It is easy and far too common to cast a negative light on someone or something from behind a computer or phone, but rarely do we take the time to recognize something special. Let me tell you about this little gem in Jacksonville. Having driven nearly non stop from northwestern Montana in challenging and stressing winter weather, I had my home in sight just under four hours away in Southwest Louisiana. About 30 miles outside of Jacksonville, Texas, I just couldn't take it anymore. What finished me off was the absolute disaster that is the Dallas/Fort Worth demolition derby. You may know it as Interstate 35, 20, 635, and so on. This was no less than three and a half hours of stroke-level butt clenching to get from one end of that hellscape to the other. When I realized that it was too unsafe for me to continue, I began looking online for a place to stay. Full disclosure, I chose Best Western of Jacksonville, TX because of the "not seedy" abodes in the City, Best Western had the most competitive rate. Hey, I'm alone...so I don't need all of the fancy amenities . Did I spell "amenities" correctly? Needless to say I arrived very tired. I just wanted to check in and go to bed. Nothing else. I arrived to find a parking lot that was well lit and free of garbage. Also free of unidentified persons hanging out in the shadows holding a paper bag shaped suspiciously like a bottle. That was important to me. My work requires me to be many miles away from home, sometimes months at a time. That means that I pull a trailer, and the wares of my trade, my hobbies, my tools...they all go with me. Security is very important. When I walked in, I must admit that I was surprised to find the front desk clerk actually at the front desk. I was very late. I am sure that many of you are accustomed to walking in and standing at the front desk while you wait for someone to appear from around a mysterious door, or put down a phone that is probably open to FB or IG. To be clear there is nothing wrong with that, I would do the same if I sat for hours at times with no customer interaction. However, this lady was at the desk and waiting for me, late as the hour was. She was very courteous. She even laughed at my clumsy attempts at humor, which I invented to try to meet her lovely demeanor with something other than "When is check-out?" I asked if it were possible to get a room on the bottom floor, facing the parking lot where I would park my truck and trailer. I had to follow up that request with, "Ma'am is there anywhere that I can park that will not take up too much space and allow me to see my vehicle?" She did me one better. She told me to park on the other side of the covered reception awning, which was the most well-lit area by far, and a place where she could personally see my vehicle. Although there were no rooms available on the first floor, she gave me a room on the second floor that was as close to my vehicle as possible, and did allow me to see the truck and trailer. She also went out of her way to confirm that both my truck doors and my trailer doors were visible to her. To top it off, she told me that she would ask her replacement to keep an eye on it for me as well while I got some much needed sleep. Speaking of, if this review rambles... I thought all of this was great. I was feeling pretty good. Then I walked into my room. Wow. I looked around and noticed a few things that I don't usually see in hotels/motels. It was spotless, yes. It smelled perfect. It didn't smell like air freshener. It didn't smell like cleaning chemicals. In fact...it just "didn't smell." This room was clean. Super clean. The attention to detail was very high, down to the smallest detail. To give a couple of examples, the bed was made to Drill Sgt. specifications. It actually pained me to mess it up. Everything was in its place and I do mean in its place. Lines up at right angles, perfectly arranged. Ya'll, the TOILET PAPER while hung appropriately on the spool, had a section of loose end that was folded in a most aesthetically pleasing manner. No smell of bleach. No smell of Mr. Bubbles. No smell of...well, you know. Again, CLEAN. (no, I do not have "Covid Nose" lol) The reason these details are so important is because if you see care and attention to these small things that most people do no consider, you can feel very safe that the big things are actually done (like truly sanitizing a room after a Tennant leaves). Oh, and I forgot to mention early on that in three minutes this fine lady at the front desk had me do something that I have never done. I signed up for Best Western rewards. When I say "never done," I mean that I do not have a rewards account for any hotel or motel. Just a typical guy, we can't be bothered with that. Most of us would just rather pay the regular price. We are strange, ladies...I am aware. Primates are simple creatures, you must remember. Anyway, she got me to sign up for Best Western rewards, not by being pushy or giving me a line. She got me to do something that I have never done and never had the interest to do by simply being exceptional. She did that in three minutes. She only asked if I had a rewards card once. I said "No thank you" at first, then to the amazement of myself I recanted and accepted the offer. I did this because I wanted to. I wanted to because I was so pleased with my reception, and I was looking to perhaps find a little way to say "Thank

I will not stay at another hotel in the area. The staff is awesome and could not find any thing wrong with the hotel or staff. It's close to several restaurants and stores. Actually it's within walking distance.

Wife and I stayed at this hotel for three days on a trip to the area to visit family. Hotel is in a great location that is easy to get to and restaurants and stores for shopping are just minutes away. And being as it is a Best Western I have learned that you can not go wrong in choosing this brand of hotels while traveling.

If you can stay anywhere else go with that choice. I wish I picked a better place but I was part of a wedding party that choose to stay at this Hotel. Never again. It was clean for the most part but the bed were so uncomfortable I didnt sleep. There was poop in the pool. Some strange guy knocking on doors late at night. Nope Never Again.

very clean and breakfast was more than what I thought it would be, very quick checkout and check in service, employees were nice and friendly, booked it on the app and it was very easy process to get the room reserved

Perfect Perfect Accommodations. From Reservations to everything about the Staff, the Room, the Service...One of the absolute best rooms. As a travel agent, I would book and recommend this hotel to anyone..Client or Friend.

The staff is great, room clean and bed firm, but comfortable. Breakfast is nice, most mornings having eggs, potatoes and other items. Only complaint is with the rewards program, points were given to my company instead of me, no incentive to book nights at Best Western.

The staff was all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the room layout. We tried to use the heater, but it smelled like it was burning so we turned it off and had to open the window to air out the room (glad the window opened!). Bed was comfortable. Elevator was slow so we used the stairs mostly. The ice was on the 2nd floor.

On arrival there was no hot water, the staff offered to move us to a different room but the maintenance staff restored the hot water in short order and all was well. All the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Hotel was very good except for hot breakfast. Their policy is if 40 or more registered guests, you get a good, hot breakfast. If less than 40, sorry, not even any fresh fruit or juice. Fitness room is a joke, with two cheap treadmills, one broken. Other than that, the entire hotel was very clean.

Sue Hines the General Manager took my call when I was inquiring about the pool and availability. She was extremely helpful and booked my room. I am a Pastor that travels to Tyler for our lead church, and usually stay there. But due to the evacuation from Hurricane Ida, there rooms were sold out. So we began searching for somewhere between our home of Beaumont and Tyler. It is only 40 minutes to the church from this location, and puts me that much closer to home on my drive back the next morning. When I arrived I was greeted by Sue, who had helped me the day before. She was very hospitable and helpful. My room ended up being near the pool, which was a great blessing. I needed a place to stay after a house fire. I looked at 2 other local hotels first. At one the desk staff never even acknowledged me as I was standing in the lobby. At the other hotel the desk staff was very abrupt and acted like she didn't have time to answer my questions. I chose Best Western and was very happy I did.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights while in Jacksonville The property is well maintained Our room was clean and comfortable. There is a indoor pool and jacuzzi the breakfast was ok The staff was very nice.

The property is worn but cozy. The king bed was comfortable. We had a room away from the road. The Water Pic shower nozzle is a nice upgrade and we had plenty of hot water. Bring your own water to drink. The city supplied water has a sulphur taste to it.

Very satisfied with our stay here! Room was very clean and comfy! Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere! The pool was family friendly, clean and refreshing. The staff members are very courteous and helpful!

This hotel looks fine from the outside. The lobby area wasn't too bad. Even the appearance of the room wasn't too bad. But from the minute I walked in the hotel (which was after 11pm) it seemed noisy. It seemed like people use this as a hangout place. All night long we were hearing people stomping around upstairs, people in the halls, etc. The beds were also very uncomfortable. So between the noise and the beds this did not make for a pleasant overnight experience at all.

Staff was great, facility was easy to get to, clean and well maintained. I had trouble getting on the wifi the staff was right on top of it and had me up and running in no time. I just hated the to go breakfast.

We have stayed at Best Western twice and have no complaints about our stays. The staff is awesome and always are very polite. Each time we've stayed they have been full so that says a lot for them. I adore Ms. Sue and her husband who does the matinence work around the hotel. Rooms are always nice and clean as well as very comfy.

The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke and there was a strong fragrance in the room that was used to try and cover up cigarette smoke. Toilet was rocking back and forth in room. There was no USB port available to charge phone at bedside and outlets inaccessible without first unplugging something else. WiFi internet was very slow.

We had to stay in Jacksonville for a wedding. They were definitely the friendliest of the local hotels. The rooms were a great size for everything we had to bring. Front desk very accommodating. Pool was open.

Internet was NOT reliable! I had work to do and could not get ANY of it done! I also did not sleep well because of the paper thin walls and the toilet in my room was constantly running! I asked to be moved and the front desk lady moved me to the third floor. When I got to my new room it reeked of cigarettes! I had to take all my stuff back to the front desk just to be told I had to go back to my original room! She told me she had 26 available rooms but would not bother to find one for me. Terrible service! Dirty hotel! Lumpy bed! Toilet that ran all night long! Awful internet! And I had to pay nearly $100 for this! I want my money back!

My daughter & I plus 2 dogs stayed for 4 nights. We came for my don's wedding. Everything was clean, front desk was very accomodating and the bag(to go) breakfasts were a nice touch. We enoyed our stay.

We came here late (11pm) and left early (6:30am). Just needed showers, A/C, sleep, and breakfast. We were in town for the Neches Wilderness Canoe/Kayak Race. 2 other racers also stayed here. Shower was just fine, water is a little soft, so don't use too much soap. A/C worked well. King mattress was comfortable for husband and I. We picked up our complimentary breakfast at the front desk (no self-serve b/c of Covid-19). Friendly desk staff. Two small Jimmy Dean biscuit/egg/sausages to pop in our room's microwave, a bottle of Sunny-D orange juice, some snack crackers, and a granola bar. Saves us a trip to get breakfast! Wish I had time to swim in the indoor pool. Next time, we may get a room with a Jacuzzi tub to ease tired muscles after the race.

Stayed here for a reunion and had a good time with friends, had a fresh and hot breakfast. Didn't use the swimming pool but they have 24 hrs open pool which is good to know. I would def recommend this hotel and will be back soon.

The smoking room smelled horrible. Maybe get some plug in"s, or air fresher. I know I will be bringing my air fresher with me. O r maybe a window to open. Had to leave the fan on the air conditioner all the time. The whole floor stunk.

The staff was nice. The room was clean & they were very accommodating due to the fact that I brought my dog with me. They also offered ne to check in early & check out late. That worked out great! This trip was for me to be able to spend time with my grandfather who lives in Frankston & I CAN NOT take my dog to his house so allowing me to check in early helped me out A LOT! This Best Western hotel was a wonderfully new facility and very well taken care of. I would certainly recommend this hotel for your accommodations while in the area. There was only a minor problem with the shower head connection of leaking at the supply pipe

Good Check ‌in went smoothly, room request was accommodated; room and bathroom were clean; the WiFi and Ethernet work well. The work desk is a nice size. Not good The work desk chair cannot be raised to and kept at a proper height. The sink area is not in an enclosed bathroom area. It is just inside the door and when the sink light is on, it will throw light into the face of someone sleeping on the bed closest to the sink area and even somewhat into the face of a person in the bed closest to the window. The a/c unit works, but it is weak. The window drapes have to be kept closed as the sun will warm the room quicker than the a/c unit will cool the room. Jacksonville has a high sulphur content in the water and it smells and tastes terrible. Bring along a LOT of bottled water to cover all drinking needs and breakfast needs while in Jacksonville. The room had a ladybug infestation. You would find a few on the wall and ceiling. The front desk said they knew about the problem and that ladybugs do this twice a year for 2 to 3 weeks, die, and the problem goes away. All this said, it is an unpleasant situation to have to look around the room walls and ceiling to see if there are any crawling around to then have to get rid of them yourself. The hotel's solution is to move a person to another room. What happens when ladybugs appear later in that room? Another move? Just how many rooms are available for affected people to make these moves? I would think an exterminator could solve this problem. This is the first time I have ever experienced this kind of problem in any hotel. The breakfast items are standard fare, but replenished just a small amount at a time of any one item. The original style, unflavored, no sugar oatmeal is not replenished often at all and the majority of the time is not in existence. This is not appropriate for diabetics.

We have stayed here 4 times in the past three years, and have had a fabulous experience every time. The staff is friendly and very helpful, the rooms are nice and clean, and the breakfast is great for a hotel at this price point. We will be staying here again.

I visited this establishment for the first time on a recent trip to Rusk, TX. Rusk has a decent hotel that I had visited several times previously but I wanted to stay in nearby Jacksonville, TX. on this trip for some variety and the fact that Jacksonville has a much larger array of choices for restaurants than the city of Rusk. And I must say I came away from the experience VERY impressed. This hotel was first rate all the way in my opinion. From the friendly greeting I got from the professional desk clerk upon check in to the time of check out. The room was large and CLEAN and furnished with a king size bed that was ultra comfortable with clean crisp sheeting along with a sofa that was also a fold out bed. A desk with ethernet cable hookup, plenty of lighting, and a 40 inch flat panel TV with many channels for your viewing entertainment. The room also was furnished with the usual hair dryer and coffee maker, a mini fridge and microwave, iron and ironing board. The free wifi was very fast. All of the furnishings looked very new and updated. The hotel has several amenities for their guests convenience such as vending machines/ice machines, laundry facilities, a workout center, business center, and a indoor heated pool and hot tub. Parking was plentiful for this three story hotel, entrances to the rooms are from plush carpeted inside hallways and a elevator can be used to access all three levels. All in all I am looking forward to my next opportunity to stay at this hotel.

Had to evacuate from flooding in our town and chose to stop and stay here. This was actually the first time I've stayed at Best Western. It was late, I was exhausted, family and pets were exhausted. The lady working was very pleasant, accommodating and sympathetic. Hotel is very conveniently located. Lots of eating places and Walmart is close by. Will definitely book here again if I'm ever in the area.

I recently visited Jacksonville Tx for a family reunion. We stay at this hotel and it was a Good stay with comfortable beds a nice large flat screen tv. The breakfast was ok not the best we've had but adequate. The staff was extremely hospitable and made our check in easy and we felt welcomed upon arrival. The price was reasonable and turned out to be a really good value. The bathroom could have been updated but it was clean as was the whole room. I will not name names but last year we stayed down the street and were told we stole a pillow (which we did not) and my son was charged $50.00 for a $20.00 pillow so that's why I picked Best Western for this year's stay. A piece if advise read the reviews when staying in Jacksonvile Tx. I recommend the Best Western especially for the price and would stay there again.

We enjoyed the full breakfast variety..the location was close to the tomato bowl...it was a great place for a family graduation ..the total experience for the hotel was awsome ...the parking lot had easy access to the rooms ..The front desk receptionist..made a few exceptional recommendations for good local food

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very nice and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was also very good. The hotel itself is centrally located and is an easy on and off for wherever you are going. Great place to stay!!

The heated pool and hot tub were amazing and loved that it was open 24 hours. Breakfast was good for what was available only issue we had was the strong smell of marijuana throughout the hotel other then that we enjoyed the stay

During our stay here for a funeral the maid service went through our things and thru away food that we just bought, when we went to the front desk they wouldn't do anything about it, I will never stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone else

This hotel has great rooms and beds and the staff was friendly but the walls are thin. Someone in the next room had their TV on until 4:00 am. Take a sound machine! We did have a very nice jacuzzi in the room.

Good breakfast, wonderful caring personnel, nice handicapped parking, easy to find along a major street and highway, bottom floor rooms for handicapped, easy keys to open doors, coffee in lounge, and in rooms. Local paper for free.

Quite the comfortable, Loved the pool and hot tub! Very quiet and check in was quick. Breakfast was average. But good. Like the potatoes as extra. Over all it was a great stay. Comfortable room. Friendly host.

Nice facility, generally quiet, easy access, all around a pleasant stay. Biggest complaint was continual broadcast of a partisan news channel in the breakfast space. Genuinely friendly staff, nice amenities, plentiful hot water.

Ms. Sue and the Staff always make you feel comfortable. In the Lobby they set up a pitcher of iced water for those heated days. From Housekeepers to Front Desk they are Fantastic. The handicapped accessibility rooms were very accommodating to my needs.

Enjoyable stay. Will return. The only problem was the refrigerator was not working and I reported it at check out. The room was very clean and smelled good. The room was spacious on the third floor. The mattress was very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The shower even actually had water pressure, unlike many hotels. The fridge was a nice size and cold. They have an indoor pool and hot tub that was very nice and super clean, as well. The breakfast looked good, but we didn't eat (still full from the night before). One of the nicest places to stay in Jacksonville. Rooms are clean and large. It is a bit noisy if you get a room on the street. Close to lots of fast food dining. Check in/check out was quick and easy. Will stay here again when we are in the area.

We were going to visit my father in the hospital, and decided to stay at a hotel with an indoor pool open for my kids. The pool was out of order, but there was no notice until I walked in for check in.

We were delayed in our departure to Jacksonville so called ahead to inform the staff. They made a note and reserved our room. We arrived about 10 PM and everything was ready for check-in. They were renovating but still maintained a clean environment (hard to do). It was great lodging with a wonderful staff.

We were greeted by a very pleasant hotel staff member who anticipated our needs. A little disappointed with the smell of smoke as both 2nd and 3rd floor were combined smoking and non-smoking rooms. Rooms and beds were comfortable, but we had a room facing the street which was a little loud.

During our stay the Hotel was incredibly clean. The pillows on the King bed could have been bigger. Not a complaint. Just a preference. This is also the only SMOKING PERMITTED Hotel in the area. The room and halls did not have that funky stale smoke oder. They do a good job of filtering the air.

Plenty of pillows, mattress was great, room was clean. mini fridge kept items cold. Some places I've stayed has had inadequate fridges even if the control was set on the lowest cold temperature they didn't keep cold items cold enough.

Our church have been using this hotel for many years and we are completely satisfied.I personally with my family have stayed in this hotel very year since it opened and the employees have been great. No complaints. Thank you

Clean, modern, comfortable & friendly. A good value, located near many restaurants including fast food. Our room was very comfortable and had easy access from parking area. Breakfast was hot and good. Tip: If desired,you can ask the server in the back to prepare you an order of bacon.

This is the second year we have stayed at this hotel while visiting this part of Texas. It is a great stay with a clean, heated pool. The breakfast is above average and so is the staff. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable

We arrived tired and hot after a 3.5 hour drive. Our clerk received us with a smile and quickly got us to our rooms as we were arriving for a conference. I didn't know how to use the key The staff was so helpful. Upon.entering the room it was so lovely. The room was bright and clean. The two large queen beds were decorated so pretty. Very welcoming. The pillows were perfect. The size of the room was great as it had a chair w reading light, plenty of room between the beds, There was easy storage for my luggage. Another padded bench was in the corner for sitting and a very nice study desk for the computer was available. After a wonderful refreshing shower I laid down for a few minutes before I had to attend an evening event. When I laid down I was delighted with the bed. It was so comfortable! I wish I had that mattress at home. There was a great restaurant across the street. Everything was convenient for our stay. I had a very restful night. Breakfast the next morning was great. Our whole group was extremely happy with this hotel, the smiling staff, beautiful rooms, and cleanliness.The curtains were so nice allowing sunshine during the day. At night the curtains were perfect for my privacy. I felt very safe. The coffee pot and condiments were there. I really like the soap. Everyone raved about the mattress. The air conditioner was quiet keeping the room cool. We all rated this hotel as excellent and would definitely as a group or individually stay again.

Its a nice hotel, but the walls are super thin. We were sleep and the people next door to us were having sexual relation and it woke us up. Horrible! But I gave it a four because the hotel is nice. So if you stay there just know your walls are super thin.

Enjoyed the stay and the room. It was clean but the hotel needs to be maintained a little better. Elevator needed work, Lobby cluddered, Stayed in same hotel 5 years ago and does not seem like any upkeep was done to improve appearance. It was clean and comfortable stay overall.

Had a wonderful stay for one night as we were traveling. The local manager even offered to pick us up at the local airport. We later found the courtesy car, but her offer meant volumes. The rest of the stay was just as enjoyable. By the way, she also directed us to Legends which may have the best hamburger anywhere.

Very clean. Full breakfast kept hot, fresh, replenished. In addition to full breakfast had grab and go breakfast items in fridge, like yogurt and other things. Hotel good condition. Great courteous staff. Nice pool, hot tub. Professional staff and very courteous.

I had requested a room furthest away from the elevator but got a room closest to the elevator. When I approached the front desk they were very accommodating and gave me another room at the end of the hall.

We R checked in quickly and w/ professional service. This is across the street from a few eating places and a movie theater. It is located off of a main road. We had an end -of -the hall room and it was quiet.

Hotel was very clean and quiet even though it was on the highway. Front desk staff was very helpful, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Price was very good for it being a weekend rate, will stay at this hotel again.

Well kept extra clean property. Bed was very comfortable and I got an excellent nights sleep. Excellent customer service from both front desk agents at check in and check out. I didn't try the breakfast because I was running late getting ready to head out for Rusk to the Texas State Railroad. This is a great place to stay if you are going to the Texas State Railroad as it's only a 15 minute to the depot in Rusk!

Staff is welcoming, room is comfortable and AC works great when it's hot outside and neerd to work on my laptop in the room. Loved the self service wafles for breakfast. The pool area is well maintained. Good value for the price.

Sue and the staff helped make our son's wedding weekend a success. They were very helpful and accommodating for us and all of our guests. We had taken over the hotel with over 35 rooms booked. Clean and large rooms. We were not disappointed.

The hotel was clean, room was comfortable, bathroom was clean and water was hot. The only area of concern was the lack of people to man the kitchen/breakfast area where the number of people eating out performed the ability of the single employee to keep food and freshments replenished.

the hotel was clean and friendly -the only thing was at night they lock the front door for some reason and i had forgot my key had to call my son to come down and let me in but other than that it was fine

This hotel was very clean and nice. The rooms smelled great and were very well kept. The staff was nice and accommodating as well. If you are looking for a place with a good fitness center, this is not the place. My only complaint on this hotel would be the lack of decent fitness equipment. Other than that, the hotel was very nice, clean and perfect for my business trip.

Excellent stay. I would definitely stay at this location again if I ever go back to Jacksonville TX. The staff were extremely friendly and professional the rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was better than most continental breakfast.

This is a great place to stay. The room was clean, there friendly staff and the rooms were nicely furnished. The breakfast was hot and offered a good selection. There were good restaurants close by. I would stay here again.

A Best Western that lives up to its name. The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast that I have had in years. Eggs that actually tasted like eggs and really fresh biscuits.

We spent two nights in this hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good with plenty of variety and the entire hotel seemed to be very well maintained. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it for anyone needing lodging in Jacksonville.

Great hotel with restaurant choices right across the street, clean room with very comfortable bed, enjoyed the spa & pool area, and ended with a great night's sleep! Had a wonderful breakfast the next morning, & was ready for the road after.

This is a very nice hotel to stay at. The ladies at the front were very helpful and friendly. The hotel and grounds were very clean. The room was a nice size room and a great bed with nice super and fluffy pillows. Would love to bring the plilows home with me. Lots of nearby places to eat. Hotel is on the highway as you come into Jacksonville, so no driving around trying to find it. We were in town to ride the train out of Rusk the next day. It was close to the station and easy to find. The breakfast was great. Hot and cold selections, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, Texas shaped waffles. Several things close to hotel to do.

A friendly, front desk can make or break a hotel. And this young man certainly made this one; from his welcoming smile, kind manner and helpful information. BW you have a winner in this young man and would do well to keep him.

stayed at hotel during spring break, utilized the indoor and pool during the 60 degree weather. Great front desk and nice friendly staff. Internet could have been faster and more stable. The rooms could have been more insulated for sound.

This is a very good hotel. I've stayed here many times over the last 5 years. It's always clean and everyone is always very helpful. The location is great--near Walmart and good dining. Great family hotel.

Starting in October 2016 and continuing. My wife and I travel to Best Western in Jacksonville and stay every Friday night. The rooms are always clean and the staff is wonderful. Sue the manager is wonderful as is her staff. Carrie is our favorite clerk. She always goes out of her way to assist us. Jennifer and Joe are super kind and helpful as well.

My family had the pleasure to stay at the Best Western Jacksonville for my son's last Homecoming at Jacksonville College and as always - wonderful service from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Rooms very large and spacious, comfortable beds and pillows, extremely friendly staff that provided great customer service. Breakfast was ok, but the great customer service from all of the hotel staff and the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel makes this a great hotel to stay while visiting Jacksonville at a very reasonable price and I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Jacksonville. I live in Jville and we had Extra family in town so we tried this hotel. Friendly service, clean rooms. Great indoor pool! Highly recommend this hotel for a night or a week! Great place for anyone in the area with extra guests too!

We missed the wildlife tour but found other activities. Great hotel!! Beds were comfy and the staff was super friendly. Went to the cinema and Posados while waiting for the train ride. Nice, quiet spot in the middle of everything. We'd come back!!

The service was great, the beds were so comfortable I did not want to get out of it and the breakfast was a hot breakfast with plenty to choose from. For the price of the room it was well worth it. If you have a trailer the parking is really small. We got there early enough so that we parked in the back so that everyone else would have room.

I LOVED the size of the room. Very spacious and comfy. Indoor pool was relaxing but I especially loved the hot tub. Water was so hot but so soothing. For supper, we walked across the street to an excellent mexican food restaurant. All in all, great experience. NOW probably my 1st choice of hotels when I visit J'ville again!

Overall this is a very high quality hotel to stay in. Rooms were clean and the staff excellent. If you are looking for a quiet area close to shopping and food services this is a great place to stay. Inside pool and spa were ideal for a relaxing evening.

Great location for a quick overnight stop. Found some much needed items at nearby stores. Friendly staff, "roomy" room, hot breakfast, and clean. Slightly noisy, but then we prefer a ground floor room, so probably to be expected.

7-2016 I was met by courteous staff and encountered that throughout my stay. Clean nice size rooms. Appeared to be fairly well noise insulated for a hotel room. Amenities included, wireless network, Business room, Indoor Pool, Hot Breakfast (eggs, waffles, biscuits, sausage, bacon, yogurt, cereal etc) Room had small fridge, coffee, dryer, cable, high speed internet hook up. Close to Food places.

Clean, location on main road, was relatively noise free, good firm bed, but I hate the marshmallow pillows that some hotels are using now. The elevator was warm as it had no vented air but not a big deal. Everywhere in Texas is hot in June! Wifi was iffy.... worked but was super slow at times... Location was close to Chili's restaurant and wal mart if you need that... I recommend this hotel. Booked on Priceline for about $75

This was our 6th Memorial Day Weekend stay at this Best Western in my hometown, Jacksonville, TX. I always compare prices but end up at this Best Western because of the overall good service of friendly employeess.

Rooms are large and well kept. Hotel is quiet and comfortable. Staff gives excellant service and are very friendly. Entire hotel is well maintained. Nearbyarea has restraunts and fast food. shopping areas near hotel.

I had the pleasure of staying at Best Western-Jacksonville while in town attending my son's graduation from Jacksonville College. Everyone - again - was so courteous, warm and friendly - EXCELLEN CUSTOMER SERVICE shown by everyone at this hotel. Check-in was quick, check out was quick and wonderful - I asked for a late check-out and it was granted. Very large rooms with comfortable beds, very clean - located not far from the college and a great price!~ How surprised I was to see the changes that had been made to the hot breakfast that was being served - a variety of what was being served; more selection of hot items, more fruits - it was all very nice - great choices! Best Western will continue to be my first choice for hotels to stay at when I am in the Jacksonville area!

Nice clean place to stay. Rooms were nice. Great Hot breakfast. Friendly staff. Let us park our motorcycle in the front under awning. The only negative I have was the hallway smelled bad. Maybe the smoking rooms were on the same floor. The room it self didn't smell. That's the only thing that kept me giving it 5 stars. Lots of eating place in walking distance too.

The staff is very friendly and they make it feel like home. They are willing to go above and beyond to make your stay good. The pool is awesome!! It is so warm like bath water and it stays open 24 hours. We had a great time!

Friendly and helpful staff, quiet room, spacious and clean, free breakfast and 24 hr heated pool. Very happy with our last minute selection. Also good price on long Easter weekend. The shower and bathroom facilities are also good.

I have stayed here at this hotel many times the past 10 years. It is in a great location, easy access, good parking, well lit, secure, with clean rooms at a fair price. The only thing lacking is a good breakfast. Waffle mix and milk were sour, eggs cold, and the lady did not speak very good English. Had to get breakfast all 3 mornings up the road. This will be a determining factor when I came here to work again this year. Other than that it is a good trustworthy hotel.

We often ride the Texas State railroad in Rusk and used to stay in that toen. But then we decided to try this BW. We have nt stayed anywhere else since. The breakfast is very good and the room comfortable abd clean. The prices also are reasonable. Location makes it a short drive to the railroad.

I stay in town on business once a month or so, and I regret now switching sooner. The Jacuzzi rooms are wonderful, the water is hot and the rooms are clean. Much more than I can say for the other hotels I've stayed in here.

The Best Western was very clean, the bed comfortable, the staff was awesome. The Breakfast was much better then most. The Hotel has been well maintained. I will stay at this hotel again anytime I am in Jacksonville. I do recommend this hotel.

Fabulous hotel. Great food. However poor wireless. They need to test it out on their phones and try to download simple things. Not up to par. However it has an Ethernet cord in the room so computer worked fine. Hotel staff was very nice. Was pouring rain when I arrived and young man helped me unload

This is a nice hotel, staff tries hard to make your stay nice. I thy do try to go out of their way to help. Other guest got loud, staff was quick to resolve issues. Cleaning staff could be a bit more warm, had to walk back to room to get dirty towel to exchange for clean one.

The location is across from a 24 hour Denny's and several other shops. I slept great in my very clean room with a jetted tub for a very fair price. There was a nice pasture behind the hotel, I enjoyed looking at that but females traveling alone should be ond upper levels, as my window opened like a residental window and there was not a screen or lock, I would ask for a upper level for safety next time. The breakfast was hot with an array of items but I do prefer individual servings of milk or juice as those jugs they wash and out milk in always taste funny. Overall, this is a very clean, very well located Best Western for road travel and the vending machines are stocked well for late night munchies AND the indoor pool is open 24 hours, which the lovely front desk girl told us about.

My child found a used syringe under the bed. Luckily it had a cap on it and it was my 12 year old instead of my 5 or 7 year old. I told the front desk. No apologies were given. Just a dumb founded look followed by oh...very poor customer service...

The hotel was nice, in morning turned on light and found someone's sock. Wake up call did not work. Breakfast was sad. but can collect rewards if you book with trip advisor, better deal to book with hotal.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, We asked for adjoining rooms on the website we were not guaranteed to get them but they made sure that we did. The beds were extremely comfortable and staff was awesome. We will stay here again.

When in Rusk, we always stay at this Best Western located in Jacksonville. Been there multiple times and never have any complaints. Always a safe bet to stay here. Staff are very nice, pleasant, professional, helpful, accommodating. Rooms are always clean, nice décor. The internet is awesome. The breakfast is very adequate. Linens are clean. The beds are always very comfortable. The television comes in clear. We have never stayed any place else when visiting family in Rusk since we have found Best Western in Jacksonville so cannot compare to the other hotels as there is no reason to look elsewhere. It is always a safe bet for us to stay at a for sure great location as is the Best Western. Highly recommend to anybody who need a place to stay while in the area. Keep up the great work, Best Western.

clean rooms, comfortable beds, food for breakfast buffet okay but the same every day...inside pool was not maintained & could have been cleaner...no chairs or any thing to sit on in pool room & cigarette butts all around the hot tub...8yr old with us was disappointed about not swimming in pool...friends were camping & we only spent nights in the room... .

Being this was my first visit to Jacksonville I found this Best Western to meet high standards. The service was great, rooms clean, and staff were professional and helpful. The hotel location is easy to find, numerous restaurants are close by and there's a lake close by. Breakfast area was clean and food was very good. Overall stay at Best Western Jacksonville was excellent.

When we got to the hotel they had me booked in the wrong type of room I had requested the room with the jacuzzi tub but we were given a room with a plain bathtub in it I went down to the front desk and explained what I had booked She fixed it at no charge after the lady at tripadvisor was rude about the situation In the end we got the room we wanted All often all it wasn't a good trip

Everything was very good from the front area, breakfast area and house keeping dept. The stay made me feel at home. It was also at a very good location. Keep up the outstanding work in all the areas. The food was very during breakfast was very good.
