Definitely recommend great breakfast amazing coffee with deafly recommend to stay here. Amazing customer service The beds are very comfortable definitely would come back every time I come here. I have the best time ever so if you're ever in Jackson definitely swing by.

This hotel is in poor condition. I gave 2 stars for the following reasons: 1. Our check in experience was very friendly and professional. 2. Our room was very spacious and clean. I did not feel safe except when I was in the room with the door locked. We were awoken several times during the night because of banging on our door and “activity” in the car park. The hallway, stairs and rear entrance to the hotel were filthy the following morning. The breakfast is passable.

This has been the best hotel I have stayed at. Paulina and Livier are very welcoming. Best customer service. Great breakfast and rooms were very clean. Excellent service! Very friendly people. Would recommend 100% .very accommodating..

From the start the staff was amazing at check in and accommodating to our requests. The rooms was very cleans and beds were very comfortable! The breakfast girls in the morning were amazing, super friendly while they greet you for breakfast! The food is absolutely delicious! I will definitely be coming back and staying here for future stays!

The floor laminate was buckling (presumably due to water previous water damage/intrusion.) Room was not cleaned on second night of stay. When we complained we were asked if we requested cleaning. We said we did not, but we were not advised we needed to do so and pointed out that the room was cleaned after night #1 without a request) That night we had to wait a long time time to get clean towels. The morning of checkout (after night #3), when we asked to speak to the manager upon checkout we were told she was busy but that we would get a call back (we provided a cell phone # to facilitate this) We never got a call. Our elite status mattered nothing, we had to come begging for our water bottles. AVOID THIS MOTEL

The staff were friendly and everything in the room functioned. But the noise was terrible, I had someone pounding on my door to get in the room at 9pm, and then from 3am-5:30am another guest was yelling horrible things at this girlfriend. The stay was definitely not quiet and it didn't even feel safe. I didn't want to leave my room once I locked the door behind me.

Called the day before and ask about check in time. I was told i could check in at 2pm with no early charge. Showed up at 2.15pm and was told that even though I'm a Platinum member it would be $20. for early check in (one of the perks for a Platinum member is early check in and late check out). Told the young lady that I was told the day before I could check at 2pm with no charge.

Quite a nice hotel. Some of the upgrades, while good, were shoddy. The new tiles in the bathroom while of good quality, were installed poorly. The caulking did not fill the cavity so pieces of the calking would literally fall out while showering (room 209). Breakfast was excellent. Besides the typical BW breakfast there was french toast and condiments for the waffles included strawberry, blueberry, and apple compote. Also there was a little chocolate treat. Staff were also very friendly.

Another wonderful stay. it has been years since we stayed at this hotel, but this time was as great as the last. Great rooms great price and great breakfast! Such a variety of hot and cold choices for breakfast.

Roomy. Quiet. Nicely appointed. A little upscale for our modest needs but clearly a better than average facility. Likewise for the included breakfast. Don't know if this typical for Best Westerns; I hope it is the case.

Not a fun place this weekend!! Pool dirty. No Dish service. Only towels for one. And worst of all: staff who either couldn't or didn't know how to fix things. Promises : we'll have someone look at your tv ,to we could move you a room that has TV, to the whole hotel has no Dish service. Offer to compensate us with $100 refund really became a $50 refund and no manager to be found. I'd be more sympathetic if I didn't feel like everyone was lying to cover their butt. Will not come back here even though our kids are up there and we frequently come to visit on the weekends. Ask about the bridal party that was here... They were really pissed off

The breakfast was definitely the best part of our stay at the BW Amador Inn. They featured freshly prepared bacon and real scrambled eggs the day we were there, but their breakfast menu varies. They also have a yogurt dispenser we have never seen before, along with various toppings for the yogurt and waffles. Providing Andes mints at the end of the breakfast just proved how totally over the top it was. The adjacent Denny's also provides a discount to hotel guests for those who want something else. The stairs are a bit steep, and there is no elevator, so you may want to book a downstairs room if stairs could be a problem. The pool seemed to be smaller than average, with no jacuzzi, but we didn't have time to use it anyway. Our room had a fireplace, so that provided some nice ambiance (though we didn't use it). The water in the bathroom was also very hot, which I appreciated (but it might be a bit too hot for some, so caution may be advisable).

The staff was friendly. Got to the room and AC didn't work. They switched us rooms. My daughter said the hall smelt like pot. The parking lot was very dark. No lights, not a safe environment at night. We arrived around 10pm. Asked the front desk and she didn't know anything how to have them on. Called to get the password for wifi was put on hold for a long time, then called back but it just rang. Room was clean, refrigerator leaked water.

Centrally located. The free morning breakfast was off the hook. Quiet. Staff made sure you had whatever you needed. Rooms were clean and odor free. Free cookie in the lobby. But no elevator. Pool was not in working. Denny's in same parking lot.Would stay there again. Reasonable price. Plus veteran discount.

The rooms are clean somewhat comfortable but the facilities weren't well maintained i.e. the pool & the place was overrun with workers for various companies smoking and drinking in the hallways and balconies.

The room was clean, comfy, and the breakfast was also very appreciated. I particularly want to mention the exceptional customer service at the front office. I worked with an employee named Rochelle who was patient, very helpful, and really worked to accommodate our needs. These are qualities you don't often come by any longer these days... At least in my experience. I would recommend the Best Western Amador Inn.

Place is terrible. Very old and out dated. Nothing is taken care of and things are not cleaned. There is a slimy feel to phone, hairdryer switches etc. Also cable has not worked for several days. Place is a dump. Would not recommend unless you are into the roach motel.

Pros- the price is budget friendly and they allow dogs which was a must for me. Cons- the shower was only lukewarm and despite talking to the front desk folks 3 times, nothing was done about it. The whole place smells like smoke and everyone smokes right outside the doors. The carpet in my room was pulled up and needed to be replaced. TV remote was broken and the batteries were falling out. There was no chair at the table in the room. The lock on my sliding glass door- which opened to the dog area and then the street- was janky and hard to lock. It wouldn't be a bad place to stay if they put a little more effort into keeping it up and responding to guests requests.

The grounds were dirty and trashcans overfilled with food, cigarettes and bottle caps. The staff was rude and unprofessional. While the room was mostly acceptable, the TV remote was disgusting and untouchable. I do not recommend staying here unless they get their act together and clean up.

They charged me for breaking the TV when I didn't do it and refused to reverse the charges on my credit card but they did have good breakfast and I like the fact that they had roll in showers and the location was very

Not a bad place to stay, just some very unique guests that weren't necessarily quiet, and made us a little nervous. Dirty foyer to our building, not the main lobby, but one of the other buildings. Room was clean and functional, served it's purpose. Breakfast was good.

The room and bathroom were clean, however the facility is dated. The room rate is good and the staff are friendly. It does appear to be a tradesman lodging hub. I noticed empty beer bottles in the parking lot and sometimes smelled MJ. However, I was comfortable in my room and I would stay again.

This hotel is super clean and the room was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the complementary breakfast offered a large variety of choices. This property seems to be a favorite for temporary lodging for different types of workmen...transportation, tree trimmers, etc. Which is great. But they seemed to think of it as their personal property as they gathered in the parking lot near different vehicles and drank beer, left trash in some cases, and made a LOT of noise with their vehicles from loud engines to beeping back up alarms over and over both at night and very early in the morning. Perhaps management can make an effort to set some rules regarding courtesy to the other guests.

My first clue should have been the front desk gal arguing with someone on the phone about paying for the night even though they wanted to check out early. I would soon see why! Shady characters wandering in and out of unsecured hotel doors, room and hallways smelled horrible, everything was filthy. Alcohol bottles and drug paraphernalia strewn all over the parking lot, where the folks clearly living in the hotel were hanging out at all hours blaring music and yelling. Pictures not at all representative of this hotel. I have never left a hotel in my life, but loaded up my car at 9pm and drove to another hotel in town, which was a far better experience. 0 stars, do not recommend.

The room was clean, very comfortable, with good facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great breakfast choice also. It is et in a beautiful little town with interesting shops. I'd certainly stay there again.

I like the fact that they had secure doors going into the building. They hosed everything down everyday. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was on time and hot. So many items to choose from hot or cold. The maids were super cool and polite.

It was a scary night. The homeless were housed there. Spider in the bathroom...BIG spider. Smoke smelly room. The curtains for the sliding glass door were sloppy and old. The door itself would not slide open. It was a dark entry way when stepping into the room, no light in the little entry hall. We were only suppled with a half roll of TP. The ice machines were all broken in our building and I had to walk through the building that housed the homeless to get ice. Not comfortable doing that!

My room was disgusting, I had to wait 3 hours to be accommodated as I'm disabled. I was given keys to an occupied room and was almost attacked when I opened the door. When I finally got in a room not only was it disgusting it smelled like mold and mildew.

Large well equipped and clean room with excellent choices for breakfast. Good place to stop on our roadtrip through California. Some good historic sites closeby , make sure to visit Volcano, Sutter Creek and Kennedy Gold mine.

Reservation made over a month ahead of time. Got a call at 7am the morning of arrival to inform me we could not get a 2 queen with kitchenette. No explanation or compensation. At that point traveling from out of state with small children, there was nothing we could do. We accrued unexpected costs eating out due to this. Our room floors would make feet black within minutes, so we all wore shoes in our room at all times. The house keeping staff were unprofessional and unorganized. They were not identifiable.

The Lady at the front desk promised me a free night on my third night if she signed me up to become a member and she delayed on signing me up and on the third night I asked them about my free night and they denied me getting the free night and plus charged me more money to stay!

The property was very clean and very close to Casinos, Rivers and Hikes. I love the history of Jackson and other towns surrounding the hotel. We had a great experience with staff and the rooms they had available for my wife and I.

We needed a place to stay overnight near Pioneer and the Best Western really had the best price (we used the AARP discount). I also chose it because it offered free breakfast although we did not end eating there since there was a Dennys on the corner. We arrived quite late but everything was fine and we checked in quickly. Room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked three rooms for my family, my parents, and my father-in-law. My husband and I stayed here about 10 years ago and found it affordable and pleasant. On this trip, we particularly wanted a hotel with a pool so my 8-year-old son could swim and play after being dragged to the wineries with us. Unfortunately, when we went to the pool, it was green and slimy, so he couldn't even get in. The girls at the front desk were very apologetic and discounted our rooms, but it was disappointing. In addition to that, the ice maker was not working, there were people sitting in the stairwells talking on their cell phones using their speakers, and someone very nearby our room was smoking pot late at night and early in the morning, and the smell infiltrated our rooms. Although the service was very good and the rooms were clean, I don't think we will stay at this hotel the next time we visit.

Hotel workers/maintenance blare loud music from their cars and seem to live onsite. They drink more beer than a frat party, swim in the pool that says “closed” and enjoy staring at you as you walk from your car to your room. Bathroom door was loose on hinges and would not close. Bathroom light and desk lamp did not work, switch was destroyed and could have shocked me. Door to hotel room was loose in door jamb and would move back and forth half inch even when locked. Friendly staff and good breakfast but rooms weren't clean, had crumbs/lint on the floor, and hair was in the sink. Dirty and needs repair and maintenance. Disappointed in what appeared to be a nice place from the website and when we arrived.

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. A child checked me in. There was a wrecked vehicle in the parking lot, missing a tire. There was no secure door to the building. The door jam to my room was broken and wobbly. The room was filthy. I will not stay there again.

We stayed here for about a week. Pamela (Ms. Pam) puts her heart into breakfast to make sure it is hot and fresh and YUMMY for all - she takes great pride and care in the food she prepares and it really shows! Amber is also very attentive in the breakfast room to guests. You get a great breakfast offering and served up with warm smiles to start your day! Front desk staff and manager were VERY helpful and accommodating when I had to add a room last minute and then extend both room stays - they really wanted to help in our situation and went the extra mile! Yes, the hotel is being rennovated and so yes, there is old furniture in a part of the parking lot while they are renewing the entire property. I have stayed here before this trip and will do so again and again if in the area - this is not even a Best Western Plus (where hot breakfast is always offered, albeit none I have ever had compared to the quality of this one) but they feel a good hearty breakfast is important (not just pastries and make it yourself waffles). Yes, the only downside is the parking and parking lot (you may not find a space at night due to all the workers who stay there with all their trucks etc.) but that said, this will always be my #1 choice when in Jackson. Thank you to all who made our trip more comfortable and sent us off smiling after a great breakfast and wonderful service by all.

Unsafe parking lot. Lots of furniture stored in hallway. Parking lot shared with Denny's restaurant. Parking lot felt unsafe, was almost run over by a speeding car. Several people loitering in various areas of parking lot.

This place is horrible, they are remolding which wasn't mentioned anywhere and the rooms now look like jail cells. My wife's 72 birthday trip was great till we checked in and she almost cried of the site.

This hotel is severely dated. Room was average to below average, and the whole place needs an upgrade. At night the parking lot had groups of works who stay in the hotel gathering to past 10PM and during the day had people sleeping in cars in the lot. (They share a parking lot with Denny's). Holiday Inn a better property to stay

I read reviews and was not excited to stay here, but the location and price met my needs. Everything exceeded my expectations, and maybe by being a member, my family received a renovated room. Who knows! But our stay was very comfortable in the clean and newer room, and the breakfast selection was excellent. Amber in the breakfast room went above and beyond to make sure that we had what we needed before we departed to Kirkwood. We'll stay here again next year!

Staff was extremely helpful. The building was very clean and very well kept. The breakfast was great staff kept kitchen very clean and sanitized. My check in was very easy and fast was able to check in right away without any issues

Leak in roof in hall, trashcan to catch water. Advertised fireplace in room but it didn't work and neither did one of the lamps. Gave someone else the key to our room so a stranger walked in while we were out then they shutoff our keys. When they finally acknowledge the mistake, their response was to offer me water or snacks. That doesn't not make up for me feeling violated. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. They had a good selection, the staff was nice and attentive. Will not be staying here again. This town has other places, I suggest you pick somewhere else.

We were in Amador County for wine tasting and stayed here. It is an older property but is well maintained. The staff was great and very friendly. It is close to everything and the room was immaculate.

We love to get away to the Gold Country. The Best Western Amador Inn is our home away from home. The personnel at the front desk are always accommodating. I have a replaced hip and knee; therefore, it is necessary to have a first-floor room. It has never been an issue for the front desk.

We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is simple and clean, our room was recently renovated and felt fresh. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. We stayed for 1 night for a quick trip to this area. The only "funny" moment was when we tried to use the fireplace and were told that all fireplace keys were stolen. Anyway it was a good stay.

I booked a three night stay at the Best Western in Jackson, CA January 16-19, 2022. Check-in was ok, although no hotel clerks had on masks. COVID protocols were not followed. Room was relatively clean. When setting up my laptop at the desk, I had to unplug the clock to plug in the laptop. All other outlets near the desk were full. Internet login was easy and worked correctly. The bed was fine, but pillows lumpy. Only a thin blanket to cover and it was very cold out. I had to turn up the heater which worked ok but was noisy. The shower had only lukewarm water and was a only good for about 3 minutes. After that it turned cold. VERY COLD! No adjustment would get the warm water back and could never get anything like hot water from the shower. Breakfast was terrible, a sack snack breakfast, no warm food. Denny's next door was not open so I had to travel elsewhere in Jackson to get breakfast. I had business to attend to that day and arrived back at the hotel around 4:40 pm. Maids had evidently come in and took all the towels and soap. I went to the front desk to get more and they had no bar soap, just shampoo, which they gave me 2 small bottles. Maids were about the building and not wearing masks or following any COVID protocols. One popped in without knocking to bring more towels. Still no soap. The next morning there was NO HOT WATER in the shower. The warm water lasted only about two minutes, just enough time to lather up and I had to rinse with very cold water! I rinsed further with warm water from the bathroom sink - what a hassle. The towels they brought were not what I would call clean. Lipstick smears on one of the towels and the others were threadbare with loose threads. And very thin. I had to use all three bath towels to get dry after second rinse in the sink. I had early business in town so left to find breakfast at the Waffle Shop - pretty good. After my morning meeting I checked in at the Holiday Inn Express down the street. I was not going to suffer another cold morning shower. It was too late in the day to cancel the reservation at the Best Western, but I would rather eat the cost than suffer another cold shower. Holiday Inn Express was what you would expect from a hotel, I will not be back to Best Western.

My family and I stay at this Best Western Amador Inn when we go through the town to go skiing. It has some rooms that have been updated and renovated. Our room was very clean. The breakfast included makes it a great value. Even their breakfast backed to go (due to COVID protocols) includes a hot meal along with many choices of cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, granola bars etc...

We loved the people here. Breakfast is amazing. The hotel is under renovation and I cant wait to see the new items. Jennifer made us feel very welcome. Pam in the breakfast is great. I lost my wallet and they found it

I live in Stockton my mother was admitted to the hospital in Jackson so I was only there for one evening. I arrived in the afternoon about 4 o'clock it was convenient because I was able to walk across to Denny's to have dinner and then check out in the morning

Staff was nice, especially the lady at check out. Parking was a little tight for a big truck, and the parking lot was pretty full. Great room though, clean and nice location. We always stop in Jackson on our way to Tahoe.

I stayed many years ago, and again recently. It has definitely gone a bit downhill during that time. My most recent stay was ok for just one night, but I'm glad it wasn't longer. Room was reasonably clean, beds were ok, and the to-go hot breakfast was convenient. But, the bathroom was missing a shower curtain (and the rod and shower head looked like it was about to fall off), the sink faucet was dripping, and the bathroom door didn't close properly (looked warped). Pillows were very lumpy. Not well sound-insulated, especially from hallway noises. Hallway doors to outside also didn't close, so I wondered about building security. Did not experience the vermin issue from the other reviews, but it was winter. I also wondered about Covid protocols - some of the staff weren't masked, and there were no signs anywhere. I know they are currently short staffed and struggling to keep up, so this is not the staff's fault; clearly this place needs to be better managed. Too bad - it has lots of potential.

Helpful staff with great communication. Big and clean rooms with all amenities. NO smoke odor. Excellent breakfast. For the fair room charge, it is highly recommended. The only thing that is missing is an elevator. Thanks

I booked this room because Best Western is usually pretty reliable across the country. This was a bad hotel. The shower ran out of hot water both days, and my showers run about five minutes. There was some kind of dirt on the bathroom walls. Cobwebs above the ripped curtains that didn't close. A king mattress that was entirely made of lumps and probably should have been replaced 20 years ago. I won't stay here again and will definitely be wary of Best Western in the future.

It has been years since we stayed in any hotels or motels. We always looked into Air BNB and VRBO for our accommodations. In small town of Jackson, CA we checked out some of the Inns and hotels going up to Kirwood for skiing and we came across Best Western Amador Inn. It is not fancy or lots of amenities but is was nice. Rooms were well defined, internet was ok, and breakfast was enjoyable. The staff was very good and friendly. For the price you pay per nights I have no complaints.

There seem to be women turning tricks in the parking lot. Paid extra for a fireplace that doesn't work..Very worn and stained inferior of room. Halls smell of cigarettes. Will definitely NEVER stay here again.

Our stay here was not at all what was expected! A couple of the front desk staff were extremely incompetent! We had a maintenance issue and was not informed that it couldn't be fixed on the day reported! The only positive thing was the breakfast staff and the variety of items they offered!

I get its a BW and California but man up the water pressure I liked everything but the sad shower, besides that this was a great stay at a great value for an overall fun weekend also walls are pretty thin .

This hotel is filthy, outdated, roach infested and has no elevator. The room they gave us was so horrible, we refused to stay there. The clerk was helpful and seemed embarrassed to work there. You are much better off staying at the Holiday Inn Express down the street. It was very nice and clean.

Room 236 was infested with bugs. Bedding had stains all over it. Room smelled like cigarettes. The haven't refunded me. This room was not inhabitable. Absolutely disgusting. I go camping all the time with bugs and critters. Trust me I'm not the kind of girl who's afraid to get her hands dirty. The bugs kept flying in my face. I didn't even dare walk around the room without shoes on. $300 down the drain.

Worst place we have ever stayed. There were COCKROACHES crawling along the baseboard by the desk and dresser. We spent the night killing them off with hand sanitizer and mosquito spray and stomping on them. The carpet, door knobs were sticky. Hand prints on walls and doors. Black hair in the shower. Dirty bath towels. They ran out of clean towels. The sheets even had blood stains. The TV kept cutting in and out. "Don't stay there"!

My sister and I stayed at this Inn recently and had a very enjoyable experience. The room was a nice size and very clean, the beds comfortable, the pool was open and the staff was extremely helpful to us. We will definitely stay there again when in Jackson, CA.

The good: The front desk staff, two young ladies, were very friendly. The room was clean and there is a Denny's restaurant on the property. The not so good: The hotel is old and in need of repairs throughout. They have been doing some things, but more is definitely needed. The door to our room doesn't automatically close, and actually doesn't close at all without help! There appears to have been some recent painting done and that was evident as soon as you walked in the room because it is all over the drapes. The shower curtain rod was completely detached from the wall on one end and ready to come down and there is no elevator for the old and broken who had too much fun in their younger years! Here's the worst part: Breakfast was scheduled from 6-9:00 a.m., but the crew/person had not showed by 5:30! A sign was finally put up after people started moving around and coming down for coffee. Oh, there wasn't even coffee put out! The sign was updated a couple times pushing back the set-up 30 mins. each time. We don't travel America, but we ride motorcycles and travel around a bit and we always enjoy Best Western! Best Western has a much, much higher standard than what was presented here!

I had called 3 days before arriving and confirmed our room with two beds. "Yes, we have that reserved for you on bottom floor". When we arrived we were given a key and directed to a separate building in the back. The parking lot was filled to the max with construction vehicles. We opened our room to find a king only. It took 3 trys calling the front desk for them to answer. They said they had just given our room away and we were stuck. The manager was supposed to call in the morning but never called the 4 days we were there. Breakfast you picked up (they were all homemade and very good) and took back to your room. There was no maid service so you had to gather your trash for the mini trash can they have in the rooms and take it out to the service carts yourself. Same with any dirty linens and towels. I called Best Western main number and Rd what happened and they said because we ordered on Priceline "you get what we give you". Say what? Even after I confirmed? What poor customer relations. This was not a cheap room but we were stuck as we needed a place to stay. Boo on you Best Western. No way to treat a customer.

Stayed for 4 nights. Key card system broken. Never received a key the entire stay. How hard is it to make sure there is a back up system. It was a hassle to get some one to come open the door. Sometimes waiting up to 15 minutes. Won't be back. Rooms were clean but the parking lot & entry ways were trashy.

Key card system was down, so we had to leave all our stuff in the car and leave the door open. Then we found toenail clippings on the bed and floor, as well as sunflower seeds and a hair in the shower and they wouldn't change us rooms because they were sold out. They promised to clean the room well but when we came back, the same hair was in the shower. Gross. Never again.

Friendly Staff, broken down cars, had to clean the pool myself, drinking in the parking lot, smoking in the rooms. I'll guess no service elevator due to staff throwing sheets off the balcony. NOT BW QUALITY

The key card machine was broken the three days were stayed so staff had to manually unlock each client's door when needed. I know these things happen, but no one requested ID other than a room number when getting staff to open their door. Security felt compromised. Some of the staff were helpful especially the breakfast lady, some didn't seem to care. Also, while all the hard surfaces appeared clean, the soft materials looked like they needed replacing. Linens were stained and frayed. Next time in Jackson, I'll stay somewhere else.

Room key service inoperable, most staff could care less, rooms were in poor condition and desk light and alarm clock missing. Breakfast was acceptable. Stayed at this Best Western 4 years ago which was a nice experience, but not this time.

It's a hard no for me. Decent enough hotel reasonably clean decent beds that's the only positive. When we checked in the front desk told us where to park our motorcycles to avoid them getting broken into. Oh gee what have we gotten ourselves into?. At the time we were here their room key system didn't work. This means that anytime you want to be let into your room we had to go to the front desk and wait for people checking in or whoever front desk is working with to acknowledge you and then send somebody to escort us to each room to let us in. Yes this was a pain for everybody. But more so for the guest the inconvenience you would have expected a little courtesy an accommodation. They couldn't have been any more rude! The young lady that went to open our room opened it turned her back to us without saying a word and stormed away it was a very uncomfortable feeling.

The room key lock system is currently down, and seems to be for quite some time. As in, the front desk needs to walk to your room and unlock your door for you everytime you need to go in. The front desk is the only one who has a key. The vacant room doors are left wide open until someone checks in. The main motel building is also not locked. It is behind the homeless shelter, and Amador county has a huge homeless problem right now. This is unsafe and uncomfortable for a woman traveling solo. The whole parking lot is filled with huge trucks, trailers, construction equipment and many of the construction workers after work are hanging outside the motel building drinking. They all leave early morning and make a lot of noise on their way out. Everytime I left my room there was a handful of men watching me leave, and I felt like I couldn't even use the pool because of this. Maybe some fake plant borders along the gate? Also, the WiFi password was constantly changing, and changed 3x throughout my short visit.

To consider this a "Best" Western is an oxymoron. I write this from my room 30 minutes after checking in, because I'm so disappointed after spending $120 on this room that I have to vent. I arrived at the front desk to lackluster service from an employee who clearly didn't care about her job or her guest's experience. When I got her attention, she relayed that they were experiencing a hotel-wide "key situation," and that we would not be receiving a key for the duration of our stay.. Rather, the door to our room would be open upon our arrival, and if we wanted to leave and return to the room, we could call a number on a piece of paper she handed me. Wasn't a big deal until I tried it, multiple times, to have the phone ring and ring, unanswered. When I finally got through on the third attempt, it took 15 minutes for the employee to arrive and unlock my room. Beyond that, the room was sub-par by most standards. I planned to work on my computer during my stay, and decent internet was critical. The internet wouldn't connect, and remained at bay for the entire stay. I asked the front desk about it, and they blamed my computer. My computer is brand new macbook pro that hasn't had issues anywhere else. Other let downs: The shower pressure is hardly more than a trickle. It felt like soft rain, with no option to increase pressure or change the angle of the spray. The soap is thick on the skin. The towels were miniature and incredibly scratchy, worse than the ones in my high school gym. The only saving grace was that Django Unchained happened to be playing on the mediocre sized tv in the room. Poor form, Best Western. Poor form.

Took 1/2 hr. to check in and then they had to let me into my room with a hard key because the key machines were not working. They were not able to make room key's until the next day. The refrigerator ran all night long and was located 6" from the bed. The room above had very heavy walkers which I could hear quit often and which was very annoying.

The rooms are in the process of being renovated. But the ones that are finished so far are very nice. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was very nice also. I would probably go back again in a year or so to see how it looked after renovation. One thing that is very noticeable is the landscape around the hotel. Badly over grown and in need of a serious makeover. The window and screen in our room had lots of spider webs as did under the eves of the roof outside of our room. This hotel has lots of wonderful potential if management would decide to spend money on the outside as well as the inside. A good landscape company could change the presentation of this hotel many fold.

This hotel was very nasty it smelled like cigarettes the shower barley even worked there's strangers just roaming the parking lot and there's bugs the people in the lobby was rude the first day I arrived I said my room smells like smoke they did nothing

I was traveling for a family emergency to Jackson California to pick up my child, I choose to stay at the Best Western for multiple positive experiences with the Hotel Chain. This was by far the worst most horrid experience I have ever had.... I arrived at approximately 11:30pm - 12am after driving 13 hours initially the woman at the front desk was polite. I explained to her that I needed a room and I was exhausted as well as hungry. She told me that they only had a few rooms left and made the comment "it all depends on how much your willing to spend" I looked at her and just told her I would take the room whatever it was. She then told me it was a double queen room and it was gonna cost me $150.00 I agreed to that she then stated she needed to go check the room and asked me to get my license plate number and other info for her that she would be right back. When she came back she said that the room was destroyed by previous renters who had left cigarettes butts, ashes, drugs, drug paraphernalia and alcohol all over the room. She then stated that she would have it cleaned while I went to get something to eat. when I came back she was racing to get the room cleaned for me the best that she could. I was not able to enter into my room until almost 2am and at that time I was still not offered a discount or anything for the inconvenience. I was polite and gave her a hug for going above her typical job duties to clean the room up for me. Once I got into the room it smelled of smoke and was still not cleaned to any proper standard let alone the standards they claim to follow on their website. As I was bringing my belongings in I then found a small clear bag on the floor at the end of the bed on the floor closest to the window. This bag had Methamphetamine in it at that point I was way too tired to complain I then flushed it and laid down to get some rest. The next morning I got a knock on the door by a house keeper by the name of Andrea who asked if I would be checking out I told her yes but asked if I could check out a lil late due to the situation and inconvenience that I had already encountered. The housekeeper then came back to the room and told me that the manager stated I did not have to check out till the morning of the 24th and I would not be charged for that extra time plus I would also receive an additional discount rate of 20% off of the 150 I already paid. I then asked her to clarify that to me again so I better understood her. during the day of the 23rd there was a large group of Mexican men outside drinking alcohol in the parking lot who were very intoxicated each time I walked outside I was sexually harassed by this group of men yet no one put a stop to their behavior. There were obvious drug transactions going on all over the property. This happened well into the night hours. I had left around 10pm to drop off my son so he could pack his belongings as I would be picking him up early in the morning to travel back to Idaho, upon my arrival to the hotel I pulled into the parking spot then noticed a white car pulled up behind my car and blocked me in so I could not move my vehicle. I was sitting in my car trapped for approximately 5 minutes unaware of who or what was behind me. At that time I was completely terrified to find out it was 4 of the extremely intoxicated mexican men who had been allowed to party and consume alcohol on the property and in the parking lot all day. I then exited my car holding a knife my husband provided for safety in one hand and my phone in the other hand, yelling that I was calling the police. They then sped off very quickly to the end of the lot turned around came back in my direction and pulled into a parking spot I ran as fast as I could to my room. The next morning I went straight to the office to make a complaint about my encounter and express my concern but it was just shrugged off. The employees on this property are obviously involved with the drug activity going on at this location and the drug activity is definitely very noticeable. I let as fast as I could on the morning of the 24th and began my trip back to Idaho. Upon checking my bank statement on the 25th I noticed that I had 3 charges on my account for the Best Western Inn so I called them but got no response back. So I called today the 26th and requested to speak with the manager was told she was there but not available and Crystal the front desk clerk took my info stating she would have her call me right back. Hours later still no call so I then called back again and finally got her on the phone started explaining the whole horrid situation to her and about the charges to my account that were not authorized and definitely not what I was told the previous day by Andrea then the manager Cindy called basically called me a liar and said that no manager would ever authorize anyone to the terms and details that i was told by Andrea the previous day. That it was my fault for listening and believing the words of one of her employees. That I was Ignorant for not verifying what I was told with management. Do Not Stay Here

I spent $200 for one night. When we walked in nobody greeted us. You could tell the place was under construction no big deal. When we got in the room there were ashes from the fire place on the floor and in the bathroom there was hair in the corner of the room.

We have stayed her before and have been quite satisfied. Not so much this time. The staff is helpful and the rooms are nice. Building "C" is quiet. But, the WiFi didn't work and there was a puddle on the floor of the bathroom from some mystery leak.

My family stayed here for a truck show. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They were doing a remodel and never heard any noise from the construction crew. Breakfast was great considering the covid issue. The accommodated us with parking issues. We had a 1980 Kenworth and 1965 Peterbilt show trucks Great Job! We had an excellent weekend.

Was an excellent stay, fantastic people's at the front very pleasant and easy to speak to , the maxes where also good service and clean . I appreciate the helpful staff and everything was nearby and near just about all you would need to get to .

We chose this hotel for the location going to an amador event. The price is reasonable. Property is a bit worn down. Lots of people hanging out by the pool barbecuing at night. the floors are thin if you're on the bottom you'll hear all the noise from upstairs. We were told breakfast was served until 10:00 got there at 9:50 and was told that breakfast was over and offered us a muffin, and disappointed we declined.

Checkin was great. There was no hot water when we tried the shower. Front desk said they can't do anything about it. Manager not available. In the morning they said that it is like that due to construction. I asked fir manager to call back 3 more times and still no call. Don't stay at this property. They just don't care. Pay a few extra dollars for the holiday inn express and don't bother with this hotel.

The first room I checked into had not been cleaned, so they gave me another room we should also not been thoroughly cleaned. Also when I tried to book it for another night to extend my stay I said I would pay for it later and she and charged my card anyway then and in the same phone call said she was refunding it because they didn't even have every room available for that night

I am a Diamond Select Rewards member and this is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at. Garbage all over the property. Riff raff hanging out in the parking lot barbecuing on the back of their car yelling and drinking. Looked like homeless going through the trash throwing it on the ground. Felt unsafe. Window screens are all off and broken. Other guest were complaining as well. This place sure has gone down hill in 2 years. Dont think we will ever stay here again.

I arrived at this Inn after dark and the check in process was fine. Then the weirdness began; everything from lowlifes loitering throughout the dark, crowded parking lot, to the complex where my room was under total renovation ( rooms with open doors filled with power tools and sawdust and plastic over the carpet ), to an unvacuumed room with stains on furniture and the carpet, to a fridge that buzzed the whole time I was there; then the tell tale sign: a used pod in the coffeemaker. An uninspired effort to say the least.

This is not your beach side Best Western. It's modest. It is also clean and comfortable. My room was by the highway and I heard no noise , so the rooms are well insulated. The service was excellent. I was greeted by desk clerk-night mgr? Mike . So nice and professional. Blanket? Absolutely. And it was like that the whole stay. Pam, the breakfast lady, is beautiful, and very nice, always a smile. Always great service. I was concerned about Covid 19- they wash every bit of bedding , every guest , Maria showed me cleaning products, all very good. Tammy and Maria, housekeepers were both so nice, I felt spoiled the whole time I was there- I wish I could remember everyone's name but all the front desk ladies were nice and helpful as well. I'm a local who was fleeing a storm/power outage warning, I could have checked out but had three day pkg. at great price. I just stayed, ran errands , enjoyed being a townie with fresh sheets each day. Always got any extra towels IMMEDIATELY. I stream at home, so it was fun to enjoy HBO and the three sports channels, cable ...My bed was comfy with lots of pillows. I would definitely recommend this inn to any budget minded traveler. Your location is incredibly central, and convenient, downtown Jackson, I had such a nice stay.

Property was extremely dirty (cobwebs covering the room, stains on furniture / sheets, broken/lights/towel racks, dated and broken fireplace, broken pots in fireplaces, dirty walls, floors). The property was littered with trash, including piles of garbage bags at every receptacle. The property is in a good location with a cute town nearby and an hour from skiing but clear neglect from cleaning staff to maintenance repairmen is bringing this place down. The staff was friendly but clearly lack pride in their facility. Breakfast was actually decent given the covid protocol (hot food served in take away style).

check in is easy - check out is quick - most of the staff are very friendly the location is convent . they share a parking lot with a Denny's (their hours are not so great - they should open a bit earlier)

Friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are very spacious, clean, comfortable beds and the hotel is in a great location right off Hwy 88 and next to a Denny's. I have stayed here quite a few times and never experienced a bad stay.

Great location for short drives to many of the historic places in the Gold Country. Close to downtown Jackson and a short drive from Sutter Creek and Amador City. Motel is located next to Hwy 49 but the traffic noise was not an issue. Hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. Room was clean.

There are a lot they could do with this place. Hallway carpet replaced would be a good start. Lot of unknown construction workers staying there, okay with that. Room was clean enough. I'm sure COVID has probably delayed some updating. They were kind enough to refund us for a day due to having to leave early. I think I would have to read further reviews for any stay.

Great Hotel accommodations conveniently located next door to Denny's which was very convenient.... clean rooms, friendly staff, pet friendly which was a big perk with us with 2 pets in tow, offered a brown bag breakfast with hot coffee due to Covid 19 that was good, our room had a micro and refrig...quiet rooms and hallways... the place was booked solid so a popular place to stay in town stores, fast food eveything you need close to hotel. So we had an enjoyable stay... they did have what looked like remodeling going on in the next building but it didn't seem to affect the overall experience of anyone's stay.

Though the room was spacious it did not have a "clean" feeling. The couch had a rip in it and stains on the cushions. The TV remote had not been cleaned properly. There was no breakfast available even though it was in the description.

There was so much wrong with my family's stay here its hard to write about it. between police visits, limited towels and being locked out of our room more than once. I even had a homeless man try and strike a conversation with me. The staff here is just too laid back, I just could not believe it. This place does not by any means support or hold Best western standards. The front desk is uncaring and poorly trained. the room was falling apart. Lets not mention the bug we found on one of our pillows, I do not recommend any one to stay here.

This was by far the worst stays I've been. The room wasn't clean, hair in shower, mirror smeared, ANTS got into our food (wasted a whole pizza), I was not told about construction so there was no relaxing with drilling, pounding, and saws (I would have gotten a room somewhere else) The hall to the room smells so bad like cigarettes and nobody told us the water would be shut off and it got shut off mid shower and when requested towles we had to wait 5 hours. I am very unhappy with the stay at your hotel and for the price it should have been a whole lot better.

This is an older motel but everything works well, it's clean. The location is great. Staff is friendly. Restaurants and shopping are close by. Traveling during Corona pandemic health safety was my priority and I felt safe.

I was traveling for medical industry related business and had a meeting in a nearby town that was scheduled at the last minute. This was the only hotel in a 130 mile radius that had vacancies and I was forced to stay here. If I had been alone, I would have immediately left and slept in my car. I reserved what I was told was a ground floor room because I have a small child and needed to make several trips to unpack the car, there is no luggage trolley or elevator here. I was given a second floor room with a fireplace that smelled like gas. The mirror was hanging off the wall sideways. The carpet was dirty around the bed especially. There were stains on the sheer curtain. There was hair and stains on two of the four pillows. There was hair and stains on the fitted sheets that were on the bed inside out. There was white/opaque stains on the dark brown dust ruffle on the bed. The parking lot is extremely dark. and filthy. There is cigarette butts, seed shells, sticky puddles, and feces all over the lot. There were men smoking out there for most of the night. I was catcalled and propositioned several times while I was unloading my car. I felt extremely unsafe. I stepped in the feces because it was so dark and I didn't see it. The hallway between the buildings is enclosed, it was humid and very hot. Carpet was filthy and it reeked of cigarettes and weed and there was a guy at the other end smoking at the window when we got there. My three year old had to use her nebulizer for her asthma just walking through the hallways. I requested clean sheets be sent to the room and was told that they would not be doing that. We slept fully clothed in sleeping bags and we used our own pillows on top of the bedding. When we were loading up the next morning, housekeeping was going through the rooms. The girl went into the rooms and threw the dirty towels into the middle of the floors. So my toddler and I had to weave through piles of dirty towels as we were taking things to the car. I saw no bedsheets being removed. I spoke to the managers and they were unconcerned. This is the third time we stayed at a Best western with issues on this trip. I have never left a hotel feeling so disgusting and so dirty. After this business trip and the experiences I had, I will Never stay at a Best Western again. I honestly feel so dirty after this stay. Run away. Sleep in your car. Its better than this spot.

While not exactly the Ritz Carlton, this hotel did satisfy our needs well enough. That is, the rooms where clean, access to the Denny's was litterally feet from the lobby, and the hotel, is 100 yards from old town Jackson which also had many other attraction.

My fiance and I stayed at this lovely Best Western for a much needed Mommy and Daddy get away. We had a fireplace room in the back and enjoyed our stay. The check in staff and check out staff were very friendly and efficient. They made us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices including bacon which was awesome. Will definitely stay here everytime were in town.

The hotel was incredible helpful with any questions we had. All the staff were very friendly. The free breakfast was absolutely delicious. And the bed, was soooo comfy! I highly recommend, especially for this price.

So I came into the best western, like any other hotel expecting moderate service, little did I know I stumbled into 2 of the nicest woman I have ever met. Concepcion, and Michelle, not only polite but great customer service as well, would definitely have pleasure in coming back to the Jackson California best western, thanks Michelle and Concepcion for making it a great stay!

I have been there before the remodel and during on several occasions and it seems like some of the staff is better at handling the communication and what rooms are out of order....either way the breakfast ladies are always amazing

We stayed here with our dog. That was fine and all went well. We never got to enjoy the included breakfast so I can't comment on that. We stayed on main floor because of our dog and noticed regular footsteps above us were very loud/noisy. Room was ok.....needs to be updated. Towels were very, very thin. Faucet in shower was missing parts in handle but, overall, worked fine. I appreciated that both nightstands had outlets on the lamps for charging. Rate was good....wouldn't have wanted to pay more.

Room was large and clean. Staff was friendly and efficent . Quiet with nice breakfast. We had stayed here before and noticed that the upgrade to the property was underway but not bothersome to our comfort,

Pros: Inexpensive. Staff were friendly. Cons: NOISE. We usually ask for quiet rooms, but somehow this got translated to "on the main floor across from the breakfast room, next to the entrance and lobby, and directly across from the hospitality suite where people are playing bagpipes all day and partying." When we politely asked if there was another room, we were told that every single space in the hotel was booked and offered ear plugs. Not a great start. So noise from the parking lot -- people having loud BBQs on the pool terrace -- noise from the door and hospitality suite, noise from the breakfast room that started at 5:30 a.m. We're talking loud banging of dishes, open doors with shouted conversations, TV on a full volume to CNN kind of noise. At 5:30 a.m. So sleeping didn't really happen at all. SMOKE. This is an entirely non-smoking hotel, but since the walls were made of paper I think, we ended up woken up by the smell of smoke from outside every night. Worst part was coming home and having all of our clothes reeking of cigarettes. From being inside a non-smoking room at a non-smoking hotel. Gross. CLEANLINESS: this is a tired hotel in need of an update, but that's ok. Less ok was leftover ear plugs from other people (maybe they also found it noisy?), dust, and dried mud everywhere not from us. Our room wasn't cleaned at all one day, even though we were out all day with the "please make up" sign on the door. I've had great BW experiences in other places, but would definitely not return here.

Rooms are very clean front desk extremely helpful and available at all hours. Rooms always have clean bed sheets and towel. we have left expensive electronics laying around house keeping has always left them where we placed them.

Have to deal with the tree service “people”, that leave garbage everywhere no consideration for other guests. Have to move the bums out of the stairwell to get your luggage down the stairs. Call the front desk and they say;oh really and that was it. No hot water, call front desk and they don't know anything. It gets worse and worse with each stay. It's terrible the worst best western, I have ever seen or stayed at. I'm a journeyman lineman and stay in motels often. It's a shame management does nothing to better the motel.

We made a reservation for BW Armador Inn because we had work in the area. Had no idea it was a rundown mess until we arrived (from out of state). The shower switches from hot to cold while showering! We were awakened at 11:30 by a truck intermittently honking a blinking their lights for 45 minutes! The pool is filthy. The end of our hall looks like a crime scene. Out sheets look dingy and the bed is like plywood. Oh my gosh, never again. Photos added are the pool , hall and view from the window of our room. I should add plugins are scarce and two of our three lamps don't work.

Nice motel, quiet and well located. We stay at this property whenever we are in the Jackson area. It is a nice middle of the road motel with nice sized rooms and friendly people at the desk. Could use faster WiFi

On a positive note, the front desk staff was friendly and polite. That's the end of the positives. The room is filthy. There are long dark hairs all over the shower enclosure (definitely not ours!), and an unidentifiable substance on the bathroom wall that I first thought was blood, but was much too three dimensional for that. Floors are dirty and even the bedskirt has dark smudges on it. The shower has almost no pressure, which is pretty normal in California, but this one really struggled to get you wet, much less clean. The review about Sunday morning leaf blowing are accurate. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Overall, we were disappointed with this motel. We had a nice sized fireplace room on the second floor, but soon discovered that there were no elevators and, since it was raining, the stairs were wet and slippery. The hotel chain messed-up a free night promotion - which was eventually corrected after spending considerable time on the phone with a Best Western representative. At 5:00 PM on the first night the hot water system went out for our building and wasn't operating again until morning. Our room was older and there were few electrical outlets for phone charges, etc. Our towels were thread thin and the carpets were not clean behind furniture. The vending machine room on our floor had an floor grate missing and thee was a strong sewer smell. We really love the Best Western chain, but this ranks near the bottom for their hotels.

This hotel will conceal the fact that they have no hot water when you are checking in. They will then tell you that they will call you back as soon as they know something and never call you back. I would not recommend wasting your money at this hotel.

This hotel is the best because their prices are always reasonable, and it is enjoyable as well as comfortable. Employees are always willing make sure your stay is a happy one, and even enjoyable. The employees are very awesome individuals. Each of them make my stays fun and enjoyable. I give this hotel 100 star ratings and is the best hotel in Jackson, ca. 95642. Thank ya all. It isn't much to look at on the outside but was surprisingly nice and clean on the inside. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly.It was very crowded when we were there so the parking situation was a bit challenging. The front desk person said that wasn't the usual.

Other guests clearly do not follow the no smoking in room rule. The cleaning service does not fully clean rooms, I found a previous guests underwear and leftover food in the fridge upon check in. Prostitutes frequent this property

We stayed here a few days after a power outage. Their key machine was not working, and they were waiting for another one to arrive. In order to get into your room, they had to let you in. When we arrived, they first tried to put us into a room that was already occupied. They did find us another room. A plus is the interior hallways, and the room was spacious. I believe our experience of not being very good was due to their outage problems.

We joined friends for the annual Big Crush event in Amador County, visiting a number of wineries over the week end. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good, but you also have a Denny's in the front adjacent to the motel office.

Overall the motel is in good shape and well maintained. It looked to have been recently painted outside. Since it is an older place the rooms are larger than some of the newer ones. The folks at the front desk were friendly and tried to accomodate out requests. However, the lock set for our room door didn't work well. In fact we made a total of 6 trips to the lobby due to failure to enter our room with the card keys we were given. We were in a remote building, upstairs with no elevator. After awhile the process of retreiving yet another key becomes bothersome. The staff told us that they were experiencing problems with the card system and were in the process of converting to a better system, I certianly hope so. The other thing I'll note is that the building had an interior hallway to access the rooms, The entry doors at both ends of the hallway were wide open and did not appear to be lockable. We did not experience any difficulty as a result but would have felt more secure if those entry doors had required a card key for entry.

My stay was ok. Breakfast good. A little pricey. Was not happy with the inability to regulate the water temperature. Reported it but no one got back with me. It is definitely an older motel and would have been nice if it were updated considering the rate.

We met up with friends from Las Vegas, then we went on to Roaring Camp the next morning. We booked early, and glad we did. There was a huge wedding going on. Our room was clean, comfortable, and modern. The bathroom was wonderful, the soap and shampoo were amazing! The breakfast was tasty, and the staff was super helpful, and family friendly. I would stay here again!

We were passing thru in a drive to Lake Tahoe and decided to stay here. Very nice comfortable hotel. Spacious room well equipped. Very good staff and excellent service from the front desk and breakfast area. Nice breakfast options, more complete than other best western hotels. Cons: no safe in the room. Big cons: the carpet in the room needs an urgent cleaning. The smell wasn't nice and getting in and out of the room was a shock to the nose. With that simple detail this could be a terrific hotel. It is very well located and next to a Denny's ( with a 10% discount) just across the street you have Mel and Feys a WONDERFUL diner!

A very good inn in the gold country. The major problem is that it has no second floor elevator. We has to climb a fairly steep outside stairs. The inn also required a left turn across traffic. Overall the inn was comfortable and had a choice between breakfast at the inn or a discount at a Denny;s next door.

Both the staff and clients get along together making the hotel looks like a home, the best experience was having a restaurant just beside the hotel. Just perfect for me because of my nature of business coming back late at night and the restaurant was very reliable.

Best western is a nice friendly place to spend the night, it is right on route 49, easy on easy off the main road. Great free breakfast in the morning, the coffee was fresh, the orange juice tasted fresh with pulp , great way to start the day.

Had an upstairs room and it was a very quiet evening. Room A/C worked well. Beds were comfy. Was met with a smile and was recognized as a rewards member. Great location within walking distance of downtown Jackson. Will definitely be back.

We wanted a nice hotel close to Downtown Jackson, Jackson Rancheria casino and surrounding points of interest. This cute hotel really filled the bill! Clean rooms, nice pool, literally minutes away from everything we wanted to see.

I wished I would have been told about the AWFUL smoke smell when I booked the room, I could have visited another hotel in the area. We stayed in 5 Best Western Hotels on this recent trip. This was the second highest priced, ridiculous. Shame on you Best Western

Mattress and toilets need updating but very clean room and friendly front desk and cleaning personnel. Love this hotel pet friendly and we travel with our dog. Need to clean the parking lot up a bit but we definitely stay here again.

The employee that greeted us at the desk was very friendly and efficient. The room was very nice, cute fireplace, with a great view. We enjoyed looking down on a stream. The bed was really comfortable. The breakfast had a nice selection.

Me and my wife stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary. The front desk staff was very friendly, the rooms were nice, but the breakfast staff is what made this stay, Colleen especially. She made a continental breakfast feel like you were at a sit down restaurant. Colleen would go around to every table and make sure you were doing good, she would engage in conversation, and she even gave each of us an Andes mint when we were done eating. Colleen is a super hard working woman and deserves non stop praise. Thank you colleen for making mine and my wife's stay that much more enjoyable. The only issues were that we had problems with the toilet in our room. Also when we got our key cards, one of them didn't work from the start then the second day neither of the cards worked and we had to go back to the front desk to have them reprogrammed. We also requested an extra set of shampoo and conditioner to be put in our room when we checked in early and never got them. But colleen and her breakfast made up for the inconvenience.

I was put in a room where the lock on the door did not open with the key I as given. After the desk clerk and the maintenance man both tried my key and four others, the maintenance man went and got a master key and let me in that way. After that I was unable to leave the room to unload my belongings from the car, or go and get dinner, because if I closed the door I could not get back in the room. While I was working with the hotel staff to try to open the door, another person that had just checked in came and told them her key didn't work either!! What good is a room to a traveler if the key won't open the door and you have to be locked in for the night because if you leave you will be locked out all over again? And it wasn't just me!

The rooms are large and clean and the beds are comfortable. They take pets. Breakfast is large but it's your basic frozen-to-microwave-to-chafing dish. Within walking distance to downtown Jackson. Nice people at the desk. We had trouble with our television maintaining a signal. I imagine the internet is probably the same but we didn't use it.

This hotel was not what I expected. Once I pulled into the parking lot I was not liking the situation. This hotel is set up like a dormitory with several buildings having two floors with outside stairs to get to the second floor. There is no indoor pool. Once we arrived on the top floor we was met with a stench. That is just some of the cons. We had a view to a tennis court facing the back of the building. The pros, this hotel is right off of Hwy 49, is close to Jackson Rancheria Casino and Denny's Restaurant sits in the parking lot for your convenience.

The check in experience was fantastic. Who doesn't love free cookies! Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast staff were very attentive and there was a great choice of food. Any little problems were dealt with promptly

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The rooms were clean and well made up. It was quiet and we only heard two doors slam all night. The water pressure in the shower was great. The best I've experienced in a lot of hotel stays. The shower is equipped with a bar to help you enter. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was the toilets are so low they are hard to stand when you have bad knees ( they do not provide any bars to assist you) and they also don't provide body wash in a gel. They only have hard bar soap, which I don't like. However I give the complementary breakfast five stars. It is a hot breakfast with fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, French toast, biscuits and gravy, waffles, sweet rolls, bagels and a whole assortment of dry cereals with milk, yogurt, cream cheese, two different kind of juice and coffee. This place is a must stop if you are going the Jackson City or the casino a few miles away.

Hands down, the best place to stay in Jackson! Friendly, generous staff. Excellent free breakfast! Clean, nice rooms with microwave and fridge, nice beds, linen and pillows. Good internet service, and Television. Nice pool with warm water!

First time staying here as a traveler from Indiana. We went to Yosemite and we were looking for a decent priced room halfway to Lake Tahoe and Reno. We found this hotel on Priceline and booked. Although a little bit stationed away from main roads in my opinion, this hotel was quite a gem. Immediately upon checking in we were greeting by a nice young man working 6/5. He checked us in promptly and even offered us freshly baked cookies still warm. We got to our room and it was clean and welcoming. There is a Denny's right next door that you can get dinner at with 15 percent off. Afterwards we went to the pool. The gate was locked but the young man at the front quickly unlocked it for us. It was time to get a shower and some rest. We quickly discovered that there was not enough shampoo. I went back down to the lobby and asked the young man if I could have another shampoo bottle. He graciously gave me two. Simple things go a long way for a traveler and this young man was worth it every time I had a question. He deserves a raise. Lastly, the room was good and cool. Breakfast was good. Nice stay for a long trip. Would return if ever back down this way

Had a great stay at the Best Western. The room was big and it also had a couch. Had two areas where we could shower. A tub with a shower and a shower by itself. Breakfast was great with lots of food choices. Plus there is a Dennys next door if you want something to eat later at night.Will stay here again.

The hotel staff are super nice and very service-oriented, but the property itself is pretty grimy and not well cared-for. There were bugs in our bathroom and around the bed. Candy wrappers and trash behind the bed and nightstand. Beer bottle caps and bits of cereal under the AC. In the parking lot there was a dead rodent and garden hoses strewn about. The vending machine was partially broken and did not accept bills. Little black & brown flecks of who-knows-what here and there along the bathroom floor and bedroom walls. Grit in the dresser drawers. Unappealing odor near the breakfast room. Needless to say, the filthiness really got into our heads, and we just could not wait to return home to take a real shower and wash our stuff.

Stayed just one night. Our room was clean and neat. No safe or fridge in the room but a coffee machine. Free WIFI. Great breakfast, omelettes, bacon, toast cereal, pancakes, oats, fruit ,juice, tea and coffee. Only complaint is check out was at 11am and we went to breakfast at 9am for approx 30mins. When we got back to our room housekeeping had stripped our bed and removed all the hand towels,towels and facewashers and left the pillows and blanket in a heap on the floor even though our luggage, backpacks, charges etc were still all in the room. Very strange!

Have stayed here twice a year for over 10 years. Recent improvements in service and cleanliness have made it even better. A very pleasant stay. Excellent house keeping staff, especially Perla, who took care of our room.

Stayed at a lot of Best Westerns. This one was the worst. The Good: great location in beautiful country. Close to/easy access to highways 49 and 88. Typical Best Western breakfast, but better than nothing. The Bad: cable TV kept losing it's signal. Had to deal with people begging for spare change in the parking lot. The Ugly: Room stank like a musty old motel. Furniture looked like it came out of one. Beg uncomfortable. Carpet needed vacuuming. Between the doors to the connecting room had Cheerios and other gunk laying there for who knows how long. Got a handicap bathroom, did not request it. The water pressure in the shower was the worst ever experienced. The hot water came and went.

Has nice rooms, large TV. Nice pool and complementary breaakfastl good location and near the downtown. Near golf courses. Staff was friendly and resolved an error that I had with my confirmed check in price!

Our stay was excellent, We come here every year to meet up with friends and enjoy the area. The hotel is always clean and the breakfast is always excellent. With the large group we attend with the registration was handled quickly and efficiently. Loved the hot cookies waiting for us at registration.

It's cheap. What else can be said? If you need economical accommodations in Jackson this is the place to go. The rooms all smell of cigarette and marijuana smoke. Good luck sleeping in with the construction workers getting up at 5AM and yelling in the hallways.

We went to Jackson Rancheria casino to ate in their buffet unlimited lobster. We stayed at best western Amador inn. We were amazed to wake up to their great quantity of food. All the foods are appetizing

Rather nice motel to rest. Very friendly staff. Decent breakfast spread in the morning! There is a Denny's at the location for dining. Like others have posted, the motel could use some updating. But all in all a welcoming place for weary travelers.

Couple of problems 1. Smoke odor in the hallway 2. Check in front desk receptionist very rude. She was on personal call and made us wait for 20 min. Good part of staying here: 1. Breakfast was decent. 2. Rooms were spacious

Worst hotel in Three Counties just stay two nights get one free is a scam. Be careful there. I suggest you stay somewhere else. if it wasn't for the breakfast being so good, is the only good part of Best Western . They teach their employees how to scam

Spend a night here. Staff at check-in and check-out was fast. No waiting to check-in. Room was bigger than expected. Breakfast was better than some motel/hotel. Overall a good stay and we will stay again if we are in the area.

My family has stayed at this hotel many times. The staff and amenities are top notch and the rooms and beds are very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for business or pleasure. A truly great place to stay

Room was clean and comfortable, especially the beds. 15% discount available at Denny's next door. I have AARP so it did not matter but it might to others. Generally quiet with a few exceptions such as motorcycles exiting in the morning.

Ill repeat. Huge room. Perfect for travelling with the kids and family. This was booked as a regular double room but the place could have easily accommodated 4 queens if they wanted to. Room also had a full size couch with fold out bed. Separate wash/restroom with 2 sinks. Mw fridge. Decors a bit ordinary but everything was clean and taken care of. Staff was very friendly and had me in my room in less than 5 minutes. The property is big with plenty of parking and a dennys next door.

The staff are the most outgoing friendly people I have encountered in my travels. Monday's breakfast woman was so nice and outgoing. Both clerks for check-in/out were so friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping/mechanical people were very helpful! If you want to walk to Jackson it's a great location!

The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, cereals, waffles, yogurt, coffee, juices, rolls, muffins, toast. Im not a heavy breakfast person, but I enjoyed what was there. We are not at Best Western to spend every moment there, its our resting place between going out and having fun, and a good night sleep. We were there 3 nights to enjoy gold country Christmas

An excellent breakfast - not your usual 'Continental' breakfast, and Colleen is an amazing hostess. She makes sure your stay is pleasant, and will help your food needs in any way she can. Fruits, juices, coffee, bacon, eggs, biscuits/toast/muffins and gravy - make your own waffles!

All the staff was friendly and upbeat! Attentive but not smothering. Room was great, everything worked and was in good repair. Sunday breakfast (included in the room pricing) was great! Hot foods hot, cold foods cold, everything very tidy.

The upholstered ottoman was covered in a huge dried stain. It was truly gross. Not sure why it wasn't cleaned or just removed from the room. There were long hairs plastered on the wall of the shower enclosure and a clump of hairs on the floor drain. Not mine! I was afraid to look at anything too closely for fear of what I might find. It was late and just needed a place to sleep for one night. I did not feel very safe staying there due to the immediate surroundings.

After family gathering, spent the night. Room was clean and quiet. The morning breakfast was exceptional for this type of venue, with friendly staff. Property is close to old Jackson and short drive to Sutter Creek. Many good restaurants near by.

When checking in, I decided to leave fast food wrappers in the car so that the car looks "junky" and people will pass it by in case someone wanted to break in, that's the vibe I got from the area and environment. One member of my team went into her room and the back porch area faced a side portion of the parking lot, and the door had been permanently bolted shut. The room also smelled like cigarette smoke. I spent some time getting the room switched over so that it was more inside the hallway, less exposed, not by the entrance or back lot. More than one homeless person was wandering the parking lot for quite some time. They came in and out of the building where are rooms were. There was at least one car that appeared to be lived in, near the building. The rooms were in a separate building and though the rooms had a hallway, they had back sliding door entrances which were not secure.The building itself was not locked but rather anyone could come and go. In fact, there was a man that knocked on the door of my co-workers room a couple times, calling out for Jose. She remained quiet in the room until he left. The room across the hallway had pot smoke leaking out. We decided to go to dinner early at 5 pm so that we could back in our rooms before dark. No business center. bad internet connectivity.

Convenient location close to variety of restaurants and coffee shops just off the freeway staff is helpful they are working on improvements painting and upgrading rooms too bad the Denny's isn't open earlier

We have stayed here for many years. This time the rooms and service were even better than previously. Nice updating and maintenance. Would recommend to others staying in the area and is also dog-friendly.

Staff was nice, room overall was ok, but I just couldn't get past the trash and fingernail behind the nightstand as I plugged my phone in. Minor details are important to guests. Enjoyed the 15% discount at Denny's.

Stayed one night our room was dirty with stains. The chair, curtains and bed spread had stains. The curtains did not shut all the way. On the positive the check in process was easy, location is great and breakfast offered was adequate.

Decent rooms. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Had a great night's sleep and no complaints. Exactly what I was hoping for. The check in was pain free and never had to wait on anyone for check out. Left the keys in the room and I was out the door.

Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. My only complaint was the tiny pool, right next to the parking lot. Disappointed. I was looking forward to spending a couple of days lounging by the pool.

The owners are keeping up with ensuring this facility looks good. The bathroom was immaculate and the room spacious. Professional office staff were helpful and willing to accommodate your issues. Close to area attractions on Hwy. 49 and 88.

Had a paranormal conference in Ione, this is 2nd time I stayed here. Nice, clean, had a bottom floor room and was quiet. Even though there's a Dennys right next door, the breakfast they offer is outstanding!

Older hotel but very clean. Very easy to find right off freeway. We had a room right down the hall from the front desk and it was very quiet during the night. Front desk staff were friendly. Liked the fee breakfast although so did everyone else...it was very crowded due to the number of guests.

We spent one night on our road trip from central CA northward and found it to be an average motel with a clean room. Microwave, coffeemaker & frig included. Breakfast included but not nearly as good other Best Westerns that we stayed at during this trip. Denny's next door was convenient & has nutrition info on each table. Great for watching special diet needs.. Overall, okay for a one night stayover on our road trip. Jackson is a quaint, historic town and worth spending extra time here if you have it. Also nearby casino if you want to play. Exit hwy 99 in Stockton. The drive towards Lake Tahoe is a very scenic one through tree-lined road that goes along several lakes. Caution: road closes during winter. Try this nice change of pace from hwy 50 route. Pack a few refreshments/picnic lunch and take in the scenery at the vista view at the top or along one of the lakes.

Stayed here for one night only, the room was clean and large. The staff were friendly, found the price to be reasonable. Well located with easy access to restaurants. The included breakfast was good. One thing that did surprise us was as we were leaving our room on one occasion, the guests next door walked out with their dog, this is obviously a service (pets can stay in the hotel room) that is being offered in the States, but not seen here in Australia yet or at least not in the hotels i have stayed in. We did hear barking during the night but unsure if this came from the room next door or outside.

I was not happy with my room because it smelled like a smokers room (even tho this is a non-smoking facility) and there were several non-paying guests in the room (flies). I complained to the front desk and they sent a housekeeper over with a spray can of air freshener. One little pssft and she was done. The next day I went and purchased a can of Febreze and sprayed the blackout curtains, that seemed to be the main source of the smell, and the carpet. Much better. Then, a can of Raid took care of the non-paying guests in my room. After my maintenance, the room was just an okay average room. Not in keeping with other Best Western hotels I have stayed in.

Over priced. We had a much better room and experience at the casino for a lot less. The parking lot is very noisy at all hours and the pool does not have enough chair or space for the amount of guests and heat. The guests that did take over most of the space were not people anyone would want their kids around.

My family and I were traveling through and visiting family. We had our dogs with us. The front desk service was very kind, the room was amazing! It was huge and after staying in another motel the night before this was a welcome change. Breakfast was yummy and we even had our own little kitchen and patio. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! Room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable.

First time in Jackson, CA - pretty rural area, so I didn't know what to expect in terms of hotels and accommodations. This place was great! It looked like there were some updates/remodel to the rooms. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Everything looked very clean. Microwave was clean, too which was amazing because most other hotels have a microwave that smells. Hot water came quickly when the shower is turned on - and water pressure is great!!! (Something that should be highlighted more often in reviews of hotels!). Walls seemed pretty sound- or maybe we just had quiet neighbors. Staff was friendly at check in. Staff that was overseeing the breakfast area were amazing and friendly too! Denny's is in the parking lot. And there is a really yummy pizza place to the left (if coming out of the hotel) and down the street a bit on the right. Paisano's. Would totally stay here again!

Room and bathroom were clean but the hallway carpet was in need of updating. The room itself was large enough to be comfortable for four. The breakfast was good but some items were not served as hot as they should have been.

A very clean, very comfortable and convenient motel. Most comfortable bed I have slept in in a very long time. Good service and reasonable price were pluses. Restaurants were nearby. A nice , quiet location helped.

Everything a mid-grade motel should be....clean rooms, good beds, usable (but not fast) Wi-fi, no smells or signs of wear and tear no stains on carpets. Good set of linens. Daily maid service. Clean public areas.. Good breakfast with more than average selection.. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value. Smallish pool located in parking area.

Very Nice rooms, great staff and awsome Breakfasts. Convieniant Location to all of Down town. Helpful staff even for small minor hepairs to Motorcycles (borrowed the Maintance staffs allen wrenches) over all an awsome stay.

All we wanted was to relax after a long day of traveling. This place was so noisy, loud music playing etc. Not at all restful. Will book elsewhere next time we travel this way. Was so looking forward to our weekend.

not worth the price. staff needs better training. grounds need cleaned up. security lacking, outside doors are kept unlocked When you advertise a breakfast buffet, make sure you have the items on the buffet when you open not 45 min later. make sure they are Hot or Cold as needed.

I stayed here for Mother's Day weekend. Great staff! The room was quiet and on the second floor as I requested. We were upgraded to a room with a fireplace. The breakfast in the morning included: scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, four kinds of cereal, four kinds of juice and six choices of coffee! And of course, yummy sweet rolls!

Convenient , well kept hotel property.. Good parking , walk to downtown,. Staff was friendly.. Have stayed here many times over several years. easy access to main roads and highways. close to shopping.

This hotel is the best place to stay, The price is great and worth every cent. The employees are the caring and wonderful individuals. They all make sure that your stay is the most comfortable, and relaxing stay ever. Each employee always make sure you are satified with your stay. I would not recommend any other hotel because this hotel is the best around.

I stayed here for 4 nights and have no complaints. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and I was very impressed with the breakfast! Staff was very friendly at check in and check out as well. If I'm ever back in the area I plan on staying again.

The rooms are clean and very roomy. The hotel desk clerk was very friendly and efficient. She was able to make suggestions regarding restaurants as well as places of interest to visit in the area. A hot breakfast is provided.

If the staff like you you're good. Had room booked with rewards nights which was fine on check in but with shift change shania informed had to leave at 5pm when too late to cancel. They checked in someone else within 30 minutes of our departure. Have pictures. So we with our newborn baby ended up a few miles away. Shania claimed smoking in room but when we offered to have her come to the room...refused. we have a newborn people...really. Then she tried dog barking left unattended but I stayed in room missing my daughter's first check up to stay with dog. Also offered for them to ask neighbors in adjacent room. Again refused. Seems like they just wanted to get twice the price. Kick the newborn out too late to cancel and get the night paid also by someone else checking in. Days Inn lovely. Better rooms anyway.

We enjoyed our stay at Jackson Best Western. Rooms were comfortable and very clean The brunch was excellent and plentiful . Staff were wonderful and caring and talked to you. Other places I have stayed they don't give you the time of day We will come again.

The hotel is in dire need of a make over. At the very least it needs painting and new carpet. The carpet stinks. The beds are not all that great, but if you are tired they'll do. The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's location and the fact that it is the only game in town.

very dirty rooms. Construction crew remodeling rooms got into loud fight in hallway. Smoking everywhere when it was supposed to be nonsmoking. No hot water. Bathroom door wouldn't close. Just awful . I will not stay here again

This was the worst room we've had at a BW to date. Problems: The building we were sent to is being renovated, had to step over construction workers, mess, and equipment to get to room. Light bulb missing in bedside lamp - took one from the desk. Two chairs in the room - a thread bare over used arm chair and one desk chair. Paint had been spilled on the bedside table. The room smelled of some cleaning chemical with a hint of tobacco. The bathroom sink had a crack in it. The shower barely functioned, low water pressure alternating between too hot and freezing. There was only one thin blanket on the bed and no second blanket anywhere in the room. The heater took a long time to warm the room and was very loud - somewhere between a propeller and jet airplane. Could hear heaters in other rooms running. Heard hammering sounds until after 9:30 pm. Could hear ever door in the corridor close - sounded a bit like a prison. At about 7:00 pm the Denny's next door had someone start power washing the sidewalk and the noise of the machine was louder in the room than the heater. This continued until about 9:30. Called the hotel front desk who said they couldn't do anything about it. Called the restaurant many times before they stopped. Could hear cars in the parking lot - engines, doors slam, alarms, talking. It was raining and the rain gutter of the build was blocked and was causing a waterfall over the walkway that lead to the room. and finally, I had no confidence that on-site employees or managers would do anything about the problems so we checked out early. We won't be back.

I'm not one to write to many bad reviews. Often times I find something good to say about a hote. I have even stayed at this propertie 4 time s trying to find something god to write however it's not possible. The property is dirty Despite the fact they just re did there rooms. The last time we stayed there 20 min after check in they called our room and insisted we move to a different room because the current one was not finished yet and she shouldn't of put us in that room I don't know about ypu but after 6 hours on the road with a small child who just wants his xbox hooked up witch you manage to accomplish with put pulling your hair out just be told when you finally relax that you habe to unplug and move....... but once I got to the breakfast and there was none I decided I'll just stay at the holiday inn down the road for a little bit more money is totally worth it

My husband booked this hotel because they advertised they had a fireplace in the rooms. That turned out to be the best part of staying here. The condition of the rooms was sub-par for a Best Western and we were frankly surprised that the chain would include this hotel.

It's undergoing renovation so things can be messy at times. I need an ADA room for the grab bars. The toilet wasn't an ADA toilet which made it extreamly difficult for me to get up from due to my osteoarthritis. Also ii had a regular bath tub if someone was in a wheel chair they might not be able to take a bath. There also was no clock in my room so I had to ask housekeeping for one. If anyone vacuumed they missed a few peanuts which I don't eat. Bed was very comfortable and the free breakfast was good except for the cold sausage links served 2 days in a row. Bacon served my first morning was good. Overall I would stay here again as these are little things except for the non ADA toilet which is a cheap fix.

The reseponist went out of her way to make our 8 month old puppy feel safe and loved when we were out to dinner with family. She made a bed for Peanut behind her desk till we came back. Wish there were more animal lovers like her in the world !!!

The rooms are always super clean and the staff go out of their way to accommodate their guests. Although we don't have pets, the hotel is pet friendly. Booking rooms online is a snap and the motel always offers good rates.

I have trouble at many Best Westerns concerning receiving a late check out. I have health issues and don't appreciate being disturbed unnecessary. The front desk approves a late check out but always fails to inform the housekeeping staff. The housekeeping staff comes knocking on my room having no idea I have a late check out. Communication is lacking. Hopefully, your stay will include a stocked breakfast selection.

The motel room was ok. The bed was very comfortable. The commode handle needed jiggling to work properly. The hot food at breakfast was sub par (not hot, bacon not thoroughly cooked and swimming in a pool of grease, eggs tepid. The other items were average quality. Overall, if you need a place to sleep and a breakfast, it will do. If you want a nice place to sleep and a good breakfast, look elsewhere.

The hotel was located near the wedding that we attended in Volcano, CA. The hotel was very convenient for us to explore other towns in the Mother Lode area. Also we were able to explore several wineries in the area. We were able to show some of the out of town visitors some of the sites because they did not have an automobile.

This hotel is well situated and very close to the little but charming old town.The major critic that we can make is the grey ambiance and not too clean aspect of the hallways and the room. Breakfast is of no value and they do not have the space to accomodate too many travellers .

I found my experience at Best Western Amador Inn, Jackson, CA to be extraordinarily pleasant and enjoyable. All the staff including housekeeping are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent in all ways. I plan to stay there whenever I travel to that area.

It's not the cheapest place around, but the quality of the facility and staff made my stay worth the price. There's a Denny's across the parking lot that offers a discount when you show your motel key card so that's always handy (and appreciated). The WiFi was surprisingly fast, probably the fastest of any I've stayed at around the world. And while I didn't have time to explore Jackson, the surrounding areas make it seem like you're not in California.

We stayed 2 nights, while trying to check in front desk workers had conversations that were much more important than getting us checked in, the second day we left in the morning and returned around noon, our towels were gone (clean and dirty) and only one trash was emptied without putting in a new bag. We asked the cleaning ladies for towels they said they don't have any they are getting washed, hours later we ask again, same thing. Finally a guy doing some kind of maintenance work was able to find us towels.

The place needs an upgrade. The internet service was horrible and doesn't service all the rooms. If you get closer to the front office then you will get good internet service. They need to put other WiFi boxes in the other building to get coverage. The front desk person (Michelle) was outstanding and cares about your stay. She was helpful in making our stay pleasant but the staff can only do their best with what is available at this hotel. The owner needs to spend some money in upgrading this hotel. It's a great location. The people who have dogs are so inconsiderate to others. These people allowed their dogs to bark most of the night. This was not good. The hotel people did their best to control the situation but it continued. There should be stricter enforcement with dogs and again the owner needs to help with this issue. I am not sure I will stay here again unless serious changes occur. There is no workout facility either. There's needs to be smoking containers where smoking is allowed because there were cigarette butts all over and not cleaned up. It takes away from the appearance.

This hotel needs to be upgraded badly. The internet has poor reception if you are staying in the last building. The rooms needs to be upgraded too. The prices were to high for this type of room. The rooms still needed to be cleaned. The breakfast area could be better with freshly made eggs and oatmeal.

love staying at this hotel, customer service is one of the best, front desk clerks go out of there way to make sure my stay is always pleasant, love the breakfast, but wish there was some kind of potatoes to go with the eggs, the young lady doing the breakfast is such a very caring person, and sweet, offer tray to take food back to room ask for water and she gave me water bottle not faucet water, thank you for the warm and welcoming service, ill be back

Hallways are OPEN ALL NIGHT LONG & doesn't have ELECTRONIC SECURITY DOORS that lock @ night ( 9 PM - 6 AM ). Access for SNACKS/ICE you have to go OUTSIDE,GO UP to the SECOND FLOOR,down a LONG HALLWAY, GET IT & return the same way to your room if you are on the FIRST FLOOR.There's NO SAFETY HANDLES in the BATHTUB/SHOWER.The REFER was in a bad location making it a TRIP HAZARD or STUB YOUR TOE on it during the night. The PHONE was ACROSS the room instead of being next to the bed.

The staff was helpful and pleasant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Decor was pleasant and breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again. We will recommend this to our friends when they visit the wine country. Our stays at Best Westerns in the last few years have all been enjoyable.

I recently stayed in the hotel with family. On first impressions, the rooms could do with a little updating as the carpet and furniture is quite dark which made the room dark. Aside from this, we had a very comfortable stay and the beds were comfortable. Would stay here again.

this place is ok. may be a bit on the high side of price. There are few options in this area and I will definately look into them on my next trip to the area. The main issue was the 60's-70's toilet. took a long hold down on the handle for it to flush properly

the staff was very understanding when i told them i was comin in early. they gave me a window when i could check and see if my room was ready and it was. they let me check in early then at the end of my stay, they let me have a late check out. the front desk girls were extremly helpfull sweet and friendly. they looked out for me.

Close to a lot of wine regions and great place for cyclist who like to train on hills. The price is about right for the area, not a fancy property, it looks kind of old but the staff was nice. My only complaint was that there was a worm on the wall.

This was a nice Motel,a Denny's next door. They ran out of some breakfast items before it was over. Overall it was a nice stay, I get rewards points which makes it nicer. Will stay here again if back in the area.

This hotel has done down hill. It was comparable to a cheap motel 6. No phone or alarm clock in room. Clock on microwave only. Pugnet smell in hallway. Outside doors not secured at night. Bed was comfortable.

I received great customer service both on arrival and departure. Staff was so friendly, willing to help, and well trained. The room was very nice, bed comfortable. I slept well. I will be returning again!

The room was not clean. There were lint balls from the exhaust fan in the bathroom all over the floor. There was a dank musty smell in the hallway and in the hotel room. The front desk staff was not very helpful although they were friendly.

Sooo nice and comfortable and convenient...Great breakfast with a wonderful variety of foods and great coffee. Courteous staff and very helpful with information...Enjoyed the stay and the side trips to wineries, museums and the general area and hiking too.when I had a little time off..

Pool and Parking very good / Dennys next door was handy as well/ Beds were new and very comfortable. Location in Jackson was perfect just off the highway. breakfast was much better than expected. Would defiantly stay again. Jackson Rancheria was just 4 miles down the road if you are into that sort of thing.

The Best Western in Jackson was a disappointment. They were put on the list as an option for a family Wedding. Many family members were there. ALL of us had issues with the hotel. My issue was the bathroom door would close, the room stunk, the screen on the window was all bent.

It was overall clean and good continental breakfast. Located close to all the things to do in Jackson. We love all the thrift stores in town. We love it there. Recommend it to familys for the pool and dennys

Have stayed here many times over the years and its always the same good service, it's nothing special but it's good and clean and only a short walk to the town (5 mins) if you are lucky and get one of the ground floor rooms you can get the car right up to the patio windows and unload right into the room.

We have always stayed at the Amador Best Western for the past 12 years the night prior to going mining in the area. It has always been a clean comfortable hotel for us. The fact that it is pet friendly is a perk as well. The rooms are well kept and maintained, and even though it is off the main highway, it is pretty quiet.

This hotel is very relaxing and comforting always. The employees at this hotel are very kind, caring and make sure each stay is enjoyable. I thank each employee for making my stays most relaxing,comfortable, and also enjoyable. I recommend this hotel to everyone because it is worth the money. Thank you and see you soon.

Very old property - looks like they just replaced the carpet and bedding, but nothing else. Bathroom is old and outdated. Furniture looks like it's from the 70's. Door to room and bathroom door looks like they have been in a battle. Seemed like every room had at least two dogs. Front desk staff immature and unprofessional. Only good thing was there is a Denny's right next door.

Decent place but way overpriced. But it was a holiday. We called in advance and the lady on the phone was super nice. Checkout was at 11am but the laundry guy was trying to rush out at 9:45am. The room was clean and the beds were alright

The price was good for a stay in California, the room was adequate and the Breakfast OK. They put us in Building C, which is in need of updating and used a lot by contractors. The carpets were stained and they put us in a room that had just had the carpets cleaned, but they were still pretty damp and the room was musty smelling. This wouldn't be my first choice of a hotel in the area, but there aren't a lot of lodging choices nearby.

I found the staff to be friendly. Hotel was clean and well kept. They offer breakfast which is nice. In particular they also offer a discount to Denny's restaurant for those staying at Best Western. For the value great place to stay.

We were stuck staying here for a week due to work. When I first checked in, there is a sign saying there is a $150 charge for smoking in a room. The room smelled so badly of smoke I could hardly breath. I was moved to a new room. In this room, the carpets had just been cleaned and they were so wet, you could feel the water squish between your toes and the microwave didn't work. Went to get ice and the ice machine didn't work and wasn't fixed during the whole week. Went for breakfast at 7 AM. It's served between 6 to 9 AM. Sign on the hot breakfast, "Sorry we ran out of sausages and eggs!" Next day went to breakfast and the sausages were gray and the eggs were so salty they were not edible. Thank goodness, Denny's is next door! The was also a big dog (not a service dog) in the dining room with it's head on the table!! Don't Stay Here!

Play trees clean and nice people were friendly and nice slept well and then I woke up and my bathtub did not work and the water was turned off in my sink and nobody can help me because I was up before the maintenance guy got there and I'm diabetic and Candy most of the stuff they had for breakfast and they ran out of sausage so I got scrambled eggs and coffee it wasn't terrible but I would really like some sausage nobody can fix that either cuz once we run out and we just have to wait till we get more was the whole attitude

The hotel was undergoing some repairs and our room was effected by the repair so we were quickly offered a different room. The room was very nice. It was clean, spacious, very comfortable. The Staff was incredible! Very nice!! Truly enjoyed this stay!!

Good price for what you get, I will stay there again, it is kind of cool to have a fireplace in your room. I have nothing else to say but they want over 200 letters and I didn't reach that many so I will try now

This hotel is old and dingy not kept up and the rooms are dirty Took 4 trys to get my reservation right. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN and Best Western needs to remove their name this property is no way near their standards

This was the most disgusting Best Western Hotel we have EVER stayed at - our cyrtains were white/filthy dirty with black all over the bottoms - the chair was covered in stains and the floors are so old they stink and smell like Febreeze. The water pressure was zero in the shower. There was a vagrant sleeping inside the disgusting pool area...This hotel should be shut down for a complete renovation it is clearly not SAFE or CLEAN for anyone - I couldn't wait till the night was over so I could leave- JUST GROSS!!!

After making reservations more than a month in advance, we were told there were no king rooms available on the first floor, and there was no elevator. The carpet and upholstery on the chair was dirty, and the bathroom was poorly redone, with the shower faucet about an inch away from the wall so that water dripped into the hole and behind the wall each time someone showered. Several hours after checking in (11:30PM), the toilet overflowed, and since no one was available to fix it, we would need to move - this time to a 2 queen room, which was not what we reserved. There was no real apology and no discount on the room rate. I will not be staying here again and cannot recommend it, despite being a frequent BW guest.

Bathroom floor dirty, shower leaked, toilet low made for small child, tile around bathtub spout missing, leaving gap in the wall. Would not recommend. The only positive was the front check in - very friendly.

What a very Friendly Front Desk Girl. This Hotel was very pleasant to stay in. We had a great stay! The convience of everything surrounds this hotel. The Staff made you feel very comfortable and our family enjoyed the stay. Pool area was fun also.

We had two rooms. This hotel and rooms were very dirty. We had to wipe down the room before we felt comfortable staying in the room. The bathroom floor looked like it had not been mopped for weeks. There was hair on the floor that wasn't ours. The TV worked sometimes but not all the time. The hall carpet outside our room was worn and filthy. They did not have elevators to the second floor and it took about 30 minutes for them to reassign us to a 1st floor room. There was about 50 old TV's thrown out behind the dumpster right in the parking lot near our room. The breakfast was overall good but they ran out of things like, eggs, hot water, instant oatmeal, bread and only offered decaf tea.

The quality of the rooms are poor. The beds are hard, and the air conditioning hits the bed hard on, which resulted in my getting sick. The walls and door were only partially painted. Even though I had a non smoking room, the room smelled heavily of smoke. Overall it gave a shabby experience.

Stayed here after attending a concert at the nearby Jackson Rancheria. Clean spacious room,comfortable bed and nice breakfast included for a reasonable price. We checked in after 9pm, polite lady at front desk.Would recommend!

There are three different buildings. There were a lot of families with children, and a lot of construction workers. Ask for the quietest building and a room on the second floor. If you get a room on the first floor, you will be enjoying a lot of headlights shining into the curtains all night.

We are the highest level for Best Western club members. This place needs work. Check in went smooth. Our room was missing a "do not disturb sign" no plastic bag in closet used for worn clothes and missing 1 panel of sheer curtain. The ceilings had spider webs in 4 locations o the ceiling. The hallways had all the doors open for rooms that needed to be cleaned. Not something I want to look at walking to my room.At breakfast I asked the young lady to clean off our table that had food and spilled drinks o it and the chairs. She cleaned it with a wet cloth but left everythi g completely wet and I had to wipe everything down myself. Probably next time will just stay in another town next time.

The hotel is in a good location. You can walk across the parking lot to Denny's. It was quiet and clean. The staff were very friendly. The entry is clean and the breakfast was pretty good. You can make waffles and they provide scrambled eggs and sausage.

Already given here twice...Terrible service. Could not get someone to come to room to repair light switch so we could have light to get ready in evening to go out. Did not even bring a lamp to room. No way to see to get dressed or do hair and makeup.

Stayed here with my family and woke up in the middle of the night to a bug on me didn't think much but then my husband had 3 bugs on his shirt, further inspection of the bed I found there were old blood stains on the sheets maybe from previous bug problem, gross room and gross people hanging around the hotel, also people smoking weed right by the hallway when taking the kids to breakfast.

The girl (who refused to give me her name, no wonder, why would she? Pure rude snot)..... She insisted I had been locked into my second night, even though I had only check in for my first night.... this is a riff raft, crack head motel. I've never seen such low life in my entire experiences at Best Westerns. You DO NOT want to stay here, you might get mugged or ripped off. These customers or clients are RIFF RAFF people who prey on others in the parking lot. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!! The girl at the desk was RUDE, hung up on me when I requested a HAIR DRYER, because they had none in the room, which they promised in their amenities..... when I asked for a hair dryer, she hung up on me..... DON'T STAY HERE, YOU MIGHT GET MUGGED!!!!!

Doors to hallways were kept open all day and night. No security. anyone could walk in at any time. Reported a problem with water control on my bath tub. Wasn't fixed. Had to take a HOT shower. Not good. Shortest shower ever. Reception staff upon checkin were annoyed by having to deal with me. Just wanted to give me the key and get me out of there. Checkout was much better.

We needed a place to sleep; and that's all this is. Employees are not interested at all; the rooms were "ok" but smelly.. probably as pets are allowed in every room. No outside space except for the "pool area". The pool itself was disgusting; green and filled with debris. No swimming recommended. Would definitely ride further and find another accommodation if possible.

We left a day early and they would not give us a refund. The halls were dirty the breakfast area was dirty and juice machine was broken. Lots of people loitering in the parking area. Parking lot was very dark.

A stop on the way to Tahoe......walked everywhere. Great staff and room! The pool was closed but we didn't come to swim. Wanted to stay at the National but it has been "yuppied up" since our last stay and lost it's historic feel (and price!!)

We found trash and a cell phone under our bed. When we brought the phone down to the lobby we mentioned the trash as well and the staff member apologized and said they would talk to a manager about discounting our rate. When we checked out our rate was still full price.

Tidy property, well-located and easy to access. Clean and comfortable room. Limited breakfast options but certainly adequate and did include a few healthy options. Not surprisingly, most guests avoided the hot offerings - eggs appeared artificial??? A bit over-priced but that could be timing of stay too.

Disappointing stay at this Best Western. Have stayed in numerous Best Western properties across the country in the last 40 years and actively seek them out when traveling on leisure or business due to past positive experiences. Not a good stay June 16 and 17. Made reservations online several days in advance, noting check-in time was after 3pm. Arrived at hotel at approximately 3:20pm and was told "room not ready, come back in an hour". Really? After driving all day where am I to go in a strange town to kill time, and why should I have to with advanced reservations? Came back in hour and got room...disappointment for first time at BW. Room dimly lit. Microwave "beeps" every thirty seconds, and I thought it was because its clock not set..tried to set clock but unable, no instructions anywhere so I unplugged it for the day. Spider webs on bedside lamp, no hair shampoo in bathroom. Electrical outlets located adjacent to sitting area table won't hold electrical plug when plugging in items (phone charger, laptop, etc) so, basically unusable. Went down hallway to get ice...water all over floor, day old "rag" lying in the puddle. Just a mess. Went back to room and attempted to setup alarm clock provided on bedside table..found the "buzzer" alarm was inoperative, and there was no radio reception. Totally useless. Called front desk 6/16 for wake up call 7am 6/17 so I could get up/ready for scheduled business meeting...never got a wake up call of any kind on 6/17. Totally worthless offered service. Interior hallway doors propped open 24/7, not sure why, seems unsafe to have the access to hotel guests room areas uncontrolled all night, Again, I have never seen this before, it's a guest safety issue. Breakfast was good, nothing special, and no service personnel around when I was there on either day. Plenty of parking, we were unable to use the pool due to our schedule. This place needs a major renovation/upgrade of the property, and a staff with a little more pride and motivation. So surprised at all of the items encountered at this BW, never encountered anything like it with this chain. I doubt we will revisit this property.

We were looking for a nice hotel to spend a couple days in gold country and thought a Best Western would be alright. Wrong!The halls smelled badly, the pool was very green and the rooms were not clean.

Very comfortable bed, clean room and quiet! The room comes with a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. Staff was very courteous. Amador Inn also provide breakfast! I would definitely stay there again.

We selected this BW location by default. All other preferred sites were booked. This BW facility was far below other BW locations we have stay in during the last few years. The signage was new; all else was old and over-used.

Disgusting place. Dirty, stinky, terrible service. Nothing worked. Exterior door wouldn't lock, strange people just hanging out in the parking lot and management just ignored them. We left after being in the room just a few minutes and were so grossed out we had to immediately shower when we checked into another motel nearby. We wanted a refund but management refused. If this is an example of Best Western quality, we are never staying at another Best Western. Neither should you

We were staying in a less-than desirable hotel in Jackson and called to see if there were any rooms available the morning of a busy weekend. Fortunately, there had been a cancellation and the clerk happily booked the room for us immediately. She was sympathetic and wanted us to enjoy our stay, which we did. Well done, Best Western!

This is the second (and last) time I will stay at the AMADOR INN. The first time (year ago) they were remodeling and things were a mess. This time not so but things poorly maintained. Our faucet was broke. The poor area was messy and there were no towels. Front desk staff looked like crack heads. Breakfast room had poor choices and was way too small for number of guests.

When you first come up on the town of Jackson you see the hotel setting on the other side of a small river.Cross the bridge and the little river to the hotel to check in.We were welcomed for being members and giving directions and are room keys.Theres a beautiful pool and a Dennys Restaurant on site.Parking was a breeze and getting to our room on the 2Nd floor was awesome.Opening the room door and what a wonderfull site.room was nice and clean.they left the window open and a cool breeze was flowing in through the room.Everthing was in order and spotless.Changed and jumped into the pool.Nice and clean and after being on the road for 10 hours was wonderful.Went back up to our room and showed and changed and went to The golden Dragon north on CA-88 were it splits off of CA-49.Real good food.Had a real nice dinner.Went down to rileys and picked up some mics stuff we needed for the road the next day.Slept real good our room was over looking the river which was nice.got up the next mouring checked out the ladys were real nice and told us nice having you here and went to Dennys and got 15% off the bill foe staying at the Best Western WINNING.

About 15 easy miles from Angel's Camp and the Calaveras County Fair & Frog Jumping experience. Ground floor room - parking lot side was good for us near mid - bldg. door for easy entrance/exit and ice, breakfast area, et al. Very quiet once sun set. Love Best Western beds and pillows. Would stay here again. Easy walk to downtown.

We signed in for a room then went straight to dinner as it was late. After our meal we were dismayed to discover that we had been checked into a room that was not made up or cleaned. Took closed to 45 minutes to get us into another room and settled. Made a late night and upsetting, no relaxation.

The room was clean, and the staff was nice. The bathroom fixtures and paint job were less than professional but it worked. The breakfast was fine as well. They had a waffle maker which was done and they used Styrofoam plates which I was disappointed in.

We had an excellent experience because of the friendly and thoughtful staff, the very comfortable rooms, it was very convenient, and even the so-so breakfast wasn't half bad. I highly recommend this Best Western and can't wait to return.

The motel is a little tired. I had a first floor room with slider, But no screen. Air conditioner/heater was noisy. This is a clen older property. The staff is very helpful & friendly; the breakfast was EXCELLENT.

Really enjoyed the hassle free check in check out and they have great pet policy . Breakfast was good but hard to compete with a 15% discount at the on-site Denny s staff was friendly room we're clean .

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I have stayed in many Best Westerns for business and this was not one of the better ones. However, for the area, it worked out well and it certainly was priced correctly.

This was a business trip, it is a very nice location, quiet and clean. It is in a good location. The scenery is very pretty and green since all the rain has happened. I will book to stay on this hotel every time.

Too noisy, not the type of clientel i want around me. Pee on bottom of toilet from before. No communication with housekeeping. I reported the problem Saturday morning, got back in the late afternoon and beds were made, but still pee on base of toilet.

I made my reservation online on 01-03-17 for a 3 night stay beginning on 03-30-17. I had received a confirmation email and one the day before check-in. When I checked in, my reservation couldn't be found. 10 mins later, and after showing my confirmation emails, my reservation "suddenly" appeared. After getting to my room, while relaxing, 2 people enter my room using their key card. Call front desk and tell them what happened and am told they hadn't given my room to someone else. After telling them they obviously had, I'm put on hold then told the manager had accidentally given another couple my room. I was told they couldn't comp me for the night but would give me a discount and 1 free dinner at Denny's (me and a friend were staying in the room). Shower faucet was protruding several inches from the shower wall, exposing the water pipe. Water pressure was so weak I initially thought the shower was broken. The security door latch was broken and despite telling the front desk about it, it was never fixed during my stay. Despite having a "do not disturb" sign on the outside of my door, housekeeping came in any ways the first morning. Worst, and grossest of all, there were large clumps of someone else's black hair smeared on all 3 of the shower walls, obviously left over from housekeeping the last time they cleaned. Though when I checked out I had been given a discount for my stay the entire weekend was fraught with one issue after another. Will not be staying here again. Also, the beds have a sheet and a very light bed cover so if you get cold easily at night, bring your own blanket/comforter!

My stay was absolutely great! I came up here to go skiing with some friends and the hotel was welcoming ! We stayed 2 nights. The maid service was outstanding. We were surprise when we came back and had fresh towels and a clean room. The staff was great too . The breakfast area was clean and breakfast was filling. Overall a great stay! Definitely coming back again.

I stayed in room 220 of March 20 and 21, 2017. I discovered bed bugs in my bed on the second night. I reported this to management immediately. I was not offered any alternatives besides finishing my stay in the infested room. I have since developed itchy red bumps all over my body. Very disappointed

The rooms are very dirty. The staff is not helpful. It took them three tries to make a key that would open my room. Each time I had to walk back to the front desk to get a new key. It didn't seem to bother the staff at all that I had to keep coming back. The door knob on the entry doors were broken. If you can I would stay away from this hotel.

Broken lamps, faucets, tubs, phones and bugs on the wall. We were told the owner had changed and although some of this problems were fixed it was inconvenient considering I had purchased 4 rooms. Very disappointed

Came to visit the town of Jackson, and stayed at the best western amador inn, I found that they had several front desk girls, Cindy, sums, and Tess to be delightful, and so helpful, the housekeeping staff was great, rooms clean , breakfast was great and the the breakfast bar girl Carla was very nice, my stay was really nice , thank you, I would recommend anyone traveling to or through Jackson to stay there.

My room was filthy, transient workers in all rooms around us,smoking pot and partying all night. I felt the need to check my motercyle constantly. The trnsients made comments that it would look better in Mexico.there was dog poop right outside the sliding door of my room. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I travel often and I will tell everyone I know to stay away from best western ln jackson ca.

My stay at the Best Western Amador Inn, has always been the Best. They take pride in there work, and it really shows. Truthfully, they always make you fill like you are at Home. I have been staying in different Best Westerns Inn's from Fresno Ca, To Jackson Ca. I also have stayed in almost all of the other Hotels that are out there. The Best Western Inn (Franchise) has really done well, from my opinion.

This is a nice full service hotel in the old goldrush country of California and is close to Mule Creek State Prison if you have come to the area for the weekend to visit the kids. There are lots of old towns to explore where they have preserved the original downtown buildings and made them into nice restaurants, gift shops, etc. The check in was friendly and efficient. The grounds and lobby clean with free paper and cookies available. We got an upgrade to a king room with fireplace which is very nice for ambiance. The room is quite clean with new modern furnishings including microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Good size flat screen tv with premium cable. Wifi is excellent and fast enough to stream. Breakfast includes hot scrambles and bisquits with gravy. The pool looks good for when it is warmer out...not heated for Fall or winter use. There is a Denny's adjacent to property with a discount for guests. Various stores nearby. Only drawback was it's on a four lane hiway so could be noisy in some rooms and there is no good place to walk without driving to it first.

The carpeting is dingy, old and musty smelling. The pool is the dirtiest of any hotel I' have ever stayed at. Appears that management does not re-invest profits back into the business. but uses this hotel as a "cash cow" Additionally, the air conditioner broke while.the day time temperature was 96 degrees.

Stayed here for a few nights back in August. We got the first room right in front of the reception area so we got alot of foot traffic and noise. Breakfast was decent, enough food to fill you up and decaf coffee. So no complaints there. Pool was empty, towels were available, so enjoyed that. The room next to us, was having a party, with loud music, guitar playing and singing. They had there balcony door open and some people were outside. So it was really noisy. By husband had to complain to reception who then asked them to stop and keep it down. In the morning as we were checking out, we found out that a man had parked his motocycle next to our room's balcony (which is right in front of the entrance) but someone had tried to break into his motorcycle and steal it. Whoever did it, ended up breaking it and it wasn't drivable. The poor guy was so distraught. We are pretty much in the middle of nowhere and he couldn't get any help. Obviously this affected our view of the hotel's safety.

We found this hotel to be quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was also good with eggs, sausage, waffles, bakery and cereals. We would stay here again.

Excellent location in a nice historic town. There several hotel options, newer and nicer but more expensive. I stay here a couple nights a year and will continue as I know the product and never been disappointed. Right on the main street / highway 49. a block or so away from the historic district. Good value good place to stay

Basic average hotel with very clean and comfortable rooms that have a small fridge and microwave; along with coffee maker. Hotel is conveniently located just outside the Historic Town of Jackson on Highway 49. They also have a pool which we did not use since we only stayed for one night. Also approx 15-20 mins drive to the mining towns of Sutter Creek, Ione, Plymouth, Amador City and wineries. Discount rates available for AAA Auto Club or AARP members.

Nice affordable hotel in the Gold Country. When in the Jackson area I always make it a point to stay at this hotel. Friendly staff and good breakfast. In the middle of the Southern Mines of the Gold Country.

The place is being remodeled. It was so different than when I stayed last. They have changed owners. I would recommend this hotel for business and leisure travelers. They are super close to shopping centers.

It was just an ok stay, at least the beds were comfortable. When I asked for extra towels, the clerk was more concerned of leaving her boyfriend that was visiting her at the desk than helping me with towels. The next morning at breakfast, instead of feeding the guests, the staff had to eat first. It happened the 2nd day too. The rooms were OK, but the service was clearly not. I will stay here again, only because its convenient, but the Management needs to watch their employees of their bad behaviors.

This is the best hotel around, and I always stay at this place. It is the most relaxing,fun,enjoyable, and the most comforting place to stay. The employees at this hotel are the most wonderful individuals. Each of the employees are always willing to help if needed, and they do make sure my stay is the best one. Pool was inviting. Breakfast was nice.Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. They are remodeling rooms. We stayed in building C which is right next to Denny's so that was nice. it was friends night out and we sure had fun

This hotel is about what you expect from a Best Western hotel. It is a reasonable room for a reasonable price. This particular one had a couple of standout issues: The room was in nicer condition than I expected with better quality furniture and amenities. It appeared to have been recently renovated. Both rooms I was in appeared that way. And both were very clean. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner, while noisy did a great job of keeping the room cool. On the downside, I had requested a room away from the highway and the front desk person was unable to determine if the room assigned to me was on the highway side or not. (It wasn't ). I got moved to the non-highway side, but the road noise was still bad. Bring ear plugs. The remote control for the TV did not work. Two odd things: 1) there we a lot of smokers at this hotel. People were smoking everywhere and there were cigarette butts all around. It smelled like smoke out side and in the hallway. The room was a non-smoking room and was de-odorized, but it also smelled de-odorized. 2) people could not seem to park in the lines at this place, so parking is difficult at night when it is getting full. When I walked out in the morning, the first several vehicles outside the door were all parked crooked over the lines. The parking at this place fills up at night even though there are a lot of spaces, so taking up more than one space is really inconsiderate. If you have a larger vehicle, you may have trouble parking here. Breakfast was typical for chains of this class. Overall, it was an OK place to stop for a night. Nothing to rave about, but not bad.

Attractive room, air conditioning excellent, quiet overnight. Shower head somewhat difficult to adjust. Reservation request for ground floor room not met, being post op total knee replacement negotiating stairs can be difficult. Clerk acknowledged omission and was apologetic and provided bottled water and snacks. Appreciated discount and proximity of Dennys restaurant. Spouse enjoyed complimentary breakfast very much.

Hotel staff was kind, interested, and helpful. The room could have been cleaner and maintained better. Restaurant nearby. Breakfast was above average and staffed by hotel personnel. Overall experience was okay, but could be alot better.

We arrived here at 19.00 hours on the Sunday of Labour Holiday. We were travelling with family and took 2 rooms. At reception we met Ms Awesome who waved repeatedly and wished us an Awesome time. Quaint but tiresome and not worth much. On check in the couples were seperated and I had the long walk with bags to our room. On ariving the key opened the door but the safety lock was on and someone was in there. Back I drag the bags to reception to a disbelieving dark haired girl who promptly rang the room to find out she had put people in the room booked to us and made a big big thing about apologising to them for the disturbance. Not a shred of any apology to me for the inconvenience and shock her foul up caused to me. So 227 was crossed out and 211 was scribled down on my room card and I sweated some more humpimg my backs out and up the stairs once more after all this seemed to be "my fault". Settled in and tried to sign into the wifi and looked at the card remembering Ms efficiency saying she had it on a sticker on the card. A quick call to reception asking for it sparked another international and federal incident she screamed its on the sticker again and again to my wife. The room was fine. The place gives a free breakfast but the room is a joke and not just full but heaving. All the food was gone at 845 as was the tea and milk. We gave up and went to Dennys next door. Plenty more awsome well wishes. They need a decent receptionist big time. Room good but I would in hindsight have preferred the holiday inn given the above.

We stayed after a concert at Ironstone Vineyard in Murphies, comfortable and clean if a little tired room. Well equipped with everything you normally expect. The pool is fine although by the car park with towels and decent seating. The staff were helpful and the breakfast adequate.

Plumped for this hotel as it was cheaper than the hotel at Sutter Creek. Good location within walking distance to a nice, compact town with shops, banks, a couple of bars, cafes and a restaurant. Staff great. On day 1 one room had not been serviced, when we told reception they could have not been more apologetic and did it straight away. Pool area very pleasant and we stayed an extra night. Ate at Denny's because of discount. Would stay here again.

We stayed here because my mother saw a deal and booked it without talking to us first. It was ok until we got into the room. It was clean but when we turned the covers, there was hair in the sheets. There were people literaly living next door also, with their music blasting like they owned the place and 15 min after we checked in, my husband went to get ice and there were bloody towels by our door like we placed them there. It smelled like smoke in the hallway but thankfully not in the room. The breakfast was ok but when your trying to get out of there quickly, it was sufficient.. we will not be returning in this hotel.

Enjoyed the stay, got to gamble at Jackson Rancheria Casino took in local Jackson area. The Casino was excellent. The Best Western was ideally located for travel to casino. Visits to downtown Jackson were made every day to see various highlights. Did not get to visit Kennedy Mine.

I had a really good time with my family. The front desk was very nice, and gave some great information about the area. Our room was spacious and most important it was clean! We went night fishing at Amador county lake, and visited the historic park there. Downtown historical Jackson had great gift shops and small cafes. The swimming pool at the hotel was gated which is very important because I have 3 small daughters. I had a great time wit my family.

I used my points to stay at this hotel and it was nice. Everything was in working order and clean and the breakfast was swell. The checkout was fast and the service was great. Everything you would expect of a Best Western.

Decent place to stay in area. Breakfast room is way too small and too few tables for size of hotel. Crowded and hard to get a round tables. Housekeeping didn't make up our room. No apologies from management. Was made up rest of time during our stay. Room is good sized.

Very impressed and delighted to receive such good "care" both checking in/checking out and being given a room that suited or needs perfectly. Liked layout of the room, with separate sink from rest of bath area; enjoyed the generous sized refrigerator; especially loved the round table and two, comfortable chairs, affording us the opportunity to eat our deli-take out food and watch TV together... a feature that often decides if we are going to stay, it's that important to me. Quiet and roomy, it truly was like a home away from home and I would have been happy to extend my "visit."

My Family and I stayed at this Best Western and just loved your stay !! the staff where very helpful and friendly. our room was great close to the pool and felt really clean. my kids enjoyed the waffles in the morning and the different toppings (Yumm) .

The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner was perfect. My husband and I are looking to retire in Amador County and we stayed here while checking out homes and the nearby towns. Amador Inn Best Western in Jakson was centrally located and easy to travel to and from right on corner 49 and 88.

The facilities are kind of sad. Rooms faced a busy highway. Very small pool in a tiny gated area. Room was ok, but definitely not worth the price. Staff were uncaring about customers - not one staff I encountered was friendly or helpful. The internet was problematic.

I choose to stay at Amador Inn each time I am in Jackson as it is just a few minutes away from the casino & eateries are close by. The staff is very helpful & the breakfast has a good selection. I would definitely stay here again.

I enjoy staying at Amador Inn everytime I come to Jackson, There is plenty to see in the area. The casino is just a few minutes away. There are several eateries in the area. The cafe I like best is Thom's cafe just a few minutes away from the motel.

Good value for the price. It is a bit on the older side but everything is in good order. Good breakfast selection, nice small pool, plenty of parking. As a bonus there is a Denny's right here (sharing the parking lot with the hotel), in there same architectural style so it almost appears it is a hotel restaurant. We visit several times every year and keep coming back.

the staff here have always been friendly. Breakfast can use an upgrade, but it it right next to Denny's the pet friendly aspect is wonderful, our pet is very much part of our family . The service staff is very friendly. the pool area could had a few towels - but it was a very warm day and the area was comfortably clean... can not say enough about the staff - GREAT people!

While the rooms are good size it wasn't a clean room. Several tennis shoe footprints on the wall plus other markings. Only stayed one night while on a road trip to Lake Tahoe. Several bags of trash, empty pizza boxes, etc. by the doorway on our arrival and still there the next day when we left.

After staying at this property at least 6 times in the past 6 years, we will definitely not be staying again. First, the property allows smoking, and although they have nonsmoking rooms, they can't keep them from also smelling like smoke. Second, and it was more pronounced this weekend, things aren't maintained very well. The ice machine was broken and had a sign on it (how old we couldn't tell) that is was being repaired. The air conditioning in our room only worked part of the time. Not all of the outlets would work either. I don't know who they paid off to get a Diamond rating for AAA. When I requested late checkout (I'm Platinum level in Best Western Rewards) I was told I could checkout late for a fee of $15. I was only asking for an hour! No, please spend your money someplace other than the Amador Inn.

Too cheap to provide good amenities. Only basic tv stations. The WiFi connection is awful. They promise free WiFi but sometimes can't even connect. Parking sucks. They let big trucks take up several spaces and let people block parking including the disabled spot. Only 2 disabled parking spaces.

This Best Western is very reasonable for the area which can be touristy in the summer months. I was a little disappointed that the young lady that checked me in wasn't more welcoming. A gentleman was printing something off the computer in the lobby while I was checking in and as soon as the young lady gave me my key, the man asked if she would fax something she said yes and disappeared and she must have come back and given him his papers but I never heard her say anything and when I was done on the computer, she wasn't at the desk. I like the way the motel is set up because there is easy access to the lobby, pool and Denny's. My room was a good size with two beds, a mid sized flat screen TV, a fridge and small microwave. There is a work desk with a lamp. The vanity is in the bathroom. One thing I don't care for in the bathroom (and I have been in several motels that are doing this) the light has the sensor to automatically come on and turn off. When you are older and get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and the bathroom light comes on, it can be jarring and make it harder to get back to sleep. (in my opinion) Also, the TV wouldn't mute, I had to use the volume down button. It was about 100 degrees outside yet the very inviting pool had a Swimming Pool Closed sign on the gate. Not sure why. There was a guest (I think) washing their car right by my room window. First time I have seen anyone at a hotel or motel do that.

Room was quite run down. Bathroom was not clean (hair on the floor when we arrived.) Old sandwich left in the refridgerator, Security door at the bottom of the stairs would not lock. I could open it without a key. Several cars parked in the lot next to our car with people going to houses located next to the motel. Auto drove in, opened garbage bin, dumped garbage, then drove away. Staff inappropriately dressed. No security guard visible. We are BW members and we will NEVER stay at this location again. We do not recommend this location and we are surprised it had a rating of 3 or above.

the rooms are decent, clean, and updated. staff is friendly and good price. unfortunately, there are often rowdy people... we were kept up until nearly 3 AM with few drunkards being load right outside our room door and up and down the hallway. the girl at the front desk tried to deal with them and they finally quieted down after threats of calling the sheriff. so we cant really fault them for the way other guests behave. the ac worked great (it was quite hot that weekend) and we appreciated the in room fridge. its really the best deal in town. anything cheaper is scary, anything better is too pricey!

Got the room next to the pool, top of steps from the parking lot. Our building shares and faces a 24 hr Denny's. Due to loud talking, kids riding skate boards and bicycles at midnight in front of lobby, it was hard to get some sleep. We tried opening our room window, we needed some air, but so much noise outside by BW guests and folks chatting it up outside Denny's, we just couldn't sleep until the noise calmed down 2:30 -3 am. First night, toilet ran slow, kind of on the verge of backing up, but didn't until the next night. Other than the noise, the backed up toilet and the thread bare wash clothes, things were fine. Staff was nice. Breakfast decent.

Good place to stay for the night while driving from Yosemite to Tahoe on a long drive. Breakfast had regular options. We checked in after midnight without any issues. Checkout was speedy. Overall satisfied.

Great location and great staff. On our way home from Yosemite and it was a perfect place for our one night stay. Staff was extremely accommodating. Would suggest to anyone driving through the area with a need for a hotel.

Rates were reasonable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping did not clean our room one night. No towels, no coffee and trash was still in the waste basket. However, the night clerk was very helpful and made sure that we received our towels and coffee. Breakfast is average. Overall, we would stay again.

My family of 5 booked a trip to Jackson. I reserved two rooms close together because we have 3 children, 1 is disabled. When I confirmed my reservation, I was told the rooms were close by and given the actual room numbers. When I arrived, our rooms were in 2 different buildings opposite the parking lot and the room numbers were changed. My room was dirty. No A/C. Everyone was sorry, but they were booked. We won't be back to save a buck.

by the time you figure the dennys discount with the free breakfast i have to rethink where i have been staying when i overnite to be with my little boy. i stay when too tired to drive he loved it and so did i excellent staff

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights with a car group. It was the first time we have said in Jackson and were very pleased with Inn. We were treated well by the staff and the breakfast consisted of hot and cold options. We enjoyed that.

I've stayed in this hotel 15 + times over the last year. Nice enough but weak housekeeping. No hot water on my most recent stay. In the past there has been old used coffee cups left on counter, dirty windows and full trash bins. Great staff, great gold country location and quiet.

Was disappointed as I have stayed in Best Westerns in the past. I guess for the money it was OK, but would not stay there again. Rather dingy and needs major updating. Close to eating and the small downtown area. Good location and was easy to find.

We stayed at this hotel for two nites and I was very impressed! It's right on the main road with a Denny's restaurant right next door! We just walked across the parking lot! The bed was very comfortable and the room was huge! They serve a nice breakfast downstairs complete with waffles, eggs and sausage! We will definitely stay there again!

A friend of mine and I were attending a car club event in Ione and the Best Western Amador Inn, in Jackson, CA, had reserved blocks of rooms at a special rate for the attendees. The Inn is centrally located with a Denny's on the property and gas stations close by. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and well taken care of, the beds are comfortable, the climate control works albeit the Inn is getting on in years as the carpet and furnishings show their age. Although we had a non smoking room the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke so bad that I had to hold my breath until I got in the room and every time we opened the door the smoke would follow us in until the climate control got rid of it. We had a very good rate of $85 per night and an excellent hot breakfast was included. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the Inn has a pool.

We had a great time, check in was fast, they were expecting us, 50+ riders. Best Western also owns the Denny's next door , we were given the opportunity to use the banquet room for our dinner time and after dinner meeting. We will be back.

The Amador Inn is close to many antique shops in Jackson, and has several good eating places close by. Also the area has many great attractions. The accomodations are excellent, with a good breakfast room, and excellent staff.

Check in on Friday to find a something very disgusting on our vanity as soon as we walked in the room. I contacted the front desk to let them know of the object and someone came right away to remove and clean the area. It turned out to be a sausage. It was in plain view so don't know why house keeping missed that one. The room was loaded with fragrance to cover up who knows what, so we opened the window to air out the room. We went about our day and returned in the evening. When my husband took off his shoes the floor was sopping wet. Put a towel down and the rugs was filthy. Climbed into bed and I got an overwhelming smell of urine. I check under the covers and saw nothing but then pulled the sheet off and there was a huge ring of urine on the mattress!! I phoned the front desk, they had no other rooms and all help was gone for the night. We did have a second bed in the room. Sophia was very apologetic and said someone would take care of it. My husband spoke with the front desk in the morning and asked that they clean the room as it was very dirty and to remove the mattress. Also let them know the floor was very wet. I spoke with the front desk also and let them know how horrified and disgusted I was to have gotten into a bed with urine. She said they would shampoo the bed. I asked that the bed be removed. When we go back the mattress had been flipped and the urine smell was still very fragrant.They finally sent a gentleman to see what I wanted and I asked him to remove the mattress from our room. He agreed it was very fragrant with urine and removed it. To make a long story less long, we were told by management they bent over backward to please us, we were probably the ones who got the floor wet and dirtied the floors. Anyone else would have removed the sausage. Michelle said I talked to all her help and I agree but let her know nothing was done. She let us know we could stay somewhere else next time. We have traveled many years and have never had a room this dirty and such poor customer service. I called Best Western Corp. offices and let them know this motel is not a good representive of the Best Western name. We will never stay there again and will read reviews prior to booking. Lesson learned.

We've stayed here before with our old car tour. Hotel has made some upgrades and it's a great place to stay as it's convenient to a lot of places in the Gold Country. Breakfast is the usual hotel fare, but it's hot and always has plenty of food available.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Nice rooms with comfortable beds. Very reasonable rates. Located in a pleasant community with lots to see close by. Recent rooms upgrades made for a comfortable stay.

This place isn't the Ritz but if you are looking for decent affordable rooms located within walking distance of Jackson's historical downtown area and an easy drive to Amador wine country this place could be just what you want. Stayed here before a sporting event property is located just off Highway 49 and could be difficult to get into depending on traffic and your direction of travel. Once we made it into the parking lot the staff was efficient at getting us checked in. Room was a bit dated but good sized with comfortable bed and came with a nice surprise – a gas fireplace. The breakfast room was busy the next morning but the staff kept things stocked, good simple fare but just what we wanted. We'll be back next time we are looking for affordable lodging in the area!

This is a typical lower-end Best Western, right on the Highway 49. It's super convenient to the Jackson casino, and a short drive to wine, apple, and historical touring areas like Sutter Creek and Apple Hill. It isn't fancy, and it won't impress a date, but it's adequate and clean. My husband and I had our dog with us and they accommodated us in a first-floor room with a sliding door that opened to the parking lot. We were able to park our car right in front of the room, and when the dog needed to be walked, it was easy to take him to the grassy area between the lobby and the Denny's Restaurant next door. The king bed was hard as a rock and I woke with a bad neckache, but on the plus side, the room was spacious enough for the large dog bed. The breakfast, like most Best Westerns, is unhealthy and barely edible (even the yogurts have HFCS), so I just grabbed an apple. I was there in the spring and the pool was not open for the summer season yet, but I couldn't see using it anyway, unless you had very young kids-- it's basically just sitting in the back of the parking lot and doesn't have any charm. All in all, I would stay here again if I was looking for a budget place and traveling with my dog.

Well let me tell you something if you like beautiful country side and even majestic mountains,well that's what you will see as you drive to Jackson,California. When I arrived in Jackson we figured we might want to get a room before heading up To the casino, The best western Amador inn, Most of the hotels in the area. Where starting at about 130$ we sat in the parking lot and went on line. It was the first time we got our room within 5 to 10 minutes. The lady at the front desk was very nice,the room we had for76$ was very nice. But the best of the whole place was the breakfast,they offered a great one to. And when checking out the manager was at the front desk was very professional. This is for you and your crew Michelle, excellent service you All get a ten thumbs up. Keep up with the good work.

The Amador Inn is a nice hotel that include fireplaces in some of their rooms. A very nice and romantic touch especially after a long days drive. The rooms are fairly large and the bed was very comfortable. Actually, no complaints for the price we paid. Will stay there again if the occasion arises.

Bed were comfortable. Location in the Sierra Wine Country is a plus. Great Internet reception and I had cell phone reception. Booked 7 weeks earlier requesting a ground floor but got 2nd floor. Room was clean and I enjoyed my stay. You get a 15% discount at Denny's next door.

My family and I enjoy staying here at this hotel because it is an relaxing and quite place. Each staff member at this hotel are wonderful individuals, and always happy to help me and my family when needed. There is never any problems with the rooms or anything else at this hotel ever. I am always happy to visit this hotel, and see ever staff member too. They brighten up my day and evening with each stay. My family and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. I arrived late and this is on a dark Mountain Road. It's right next to a Denny's, and shares the same entrance, which made it easy to find once I knew where I was going. The check in staff was friendly. My room was right next to the check-in desk which meant that I heard the staff and their friends and all their conversations pretty late Into the Night. Conversely, since it's right next to the breakfast room, I heard everyone who came down to breakfast in the morning through my door. If I stay here again, I will ask for a room away from the front desk and breakfast room. Breakfast was adequate. It was the standard make your own waffle, an assortment of toasts, cereal , however the eggs and sausage didn't look right. I took them anyway, and tried them in the room, and they also didn't taste right so I just tossed them. Overall it was was an adequate stay.

Great hotel, I recommend this to anyone look for a hotel in Amador county. The staff is great and the rooms are super clean. The breakfast room is great also the hotel offers 15 percent off in dennys across the parking lot. The manger was the most helpful and nicest person I met during all my stays at hotels

I would like to commend the staff at the Best Western in Jackson, CA. My husband and & needed a little getaway, so we chose to stay in Jackson. The historic downtown has so many unique stores to shop at plus you can't go wrong with having a ton of wineries withing 15 minutes of this hotel. Our room was very clean, breakfast was great & the biggest plus was the manager Michelle who was outstanding & her staff. I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We can't wait to see you all again soon!!!!

Good price point for the value received. Can't beat the staff's attention to your needs and their professional attitude. Have stayed at this property for over 20 years without a major problem and have always felt safe! New upgrades only enhance the value. Recommend the National Hotel within walking distance for great food & drink!

The staff is very friendly, but the rooms smell so bad, the beds are very uncomfortable, and the room was not clean... We tried finding another hotel to stay at for the night. The complimentary breakfast was AWEFUL ... thank goodness they offer a discount at Dennys right there in the same parking lot. The building is not secured at night... overall I did not like this hotel and would not recommend it

I have to say anytime time I am in this area , and I need a place to stay. This would be the place to stay. They always do a great*job keeping the looking great, Clean linen and coffee always kept. Over all I Say, This is a very well kept Hotel.

My room was not cleaned, We were gone all day and came back at 10:30pm to find the beds still unmade and the trash still in room. I was questioned on what my expections were for the cleaning of the room. What? Try doing it. They do have a very good breakfast. Also offer a 15% discount at the Denny's next door.

Upon check in we were upgraded to a larger room with a fireplace, at no extra charge. Since we were only staying here for one night for a Fire Academy Graduation we looked for the best rate. We were tentative because of the remodeling that was mentioned upon booking. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend this Best Western.

Dirty environment, false advertising with free breakfast, room was really dirty (e.g. hair in shower curtain...good morning). Great location for access to Kirkwood Resort. They seriously need to upgrade to keep up with Holiday inn express down the road...

This hotel needs to update everything. There was a homeless person roaming the halls digging through trash that was obviously just left in the foyers and halls. There were no locks or security system at all. Anyone could and did enter the building and roam the halls. Very unsafe. This hotel needs a complete overhaul.

I booked 2 nights at this hotel as my husband and I were attending a church retreat. We arrived Friday night and checked in. Took all our bags out and headed to the room. The outside appearance of the hotel is very scummy. The walls have been stripped and the carpet looks horrible, there is a combination of a smoke and carpet glue smell (which gave me a headache) I thought to myself I hope the inside is much better, however we were unable to get in as the card was not opening the door. We were already running late to the retreat so we decided to take the bags back to the car (such an inconvenience) and later when we returned we would advise the front desk of the card issue. We returned around midnight and there was a shift change as the earlier employee was no longer there. I advise the young lady that we were locked out and they room key was not working. She asked me my room number and quickly gave me a replacement card. I looked at my husband and he looked at me in confusion and also in disbelief as she didn't ask for any form of identification or even what our last name was to verify the room was in fact ours. I asked her "would you like to see my ID" to hint her that this is what is expected to help secure the safety and belongings of a guest but she quickly responded "oh no its OK" SUPER red flag! We got to the room which was beautiful inside. We even got a nice fireplace. No complaints on the inside of the room. That night we were unable to sleep there was loud yelling in the hall and a man and woman were fighting, cursing and throwing things. Soon after you could here the police arrive and after 15 min it seemed the police took care of the issue. Even though things quieted down; I was not able to sleep comfortably, as I was worried about the whole giving a key to a random person and to top it off the fighting going on in the hall which did not help. In the morning I made it a point to tell the front desk of the key issue and also about the fighting in the hall. They advised they called the police and that there is nothing to worry about. Regarding the employee giving me a key without checking my ID she said she would tell her manager as that is against the policy and she excused the employee by saying "she must have been busy" I went to the second day of our retreat and returned for a midday nap and when we get to the room the key is no longer working. At this point i was annoyed. We walked down to the lobby and asked for another key. Went back to the room and the key is STILL NOT working. She gave us yet another set of keys and asked if we had been putting the keys next to our phones because that sometimes ruins the card. We advised that my husband had in his wallet and it has not been near any cell phones. She also gave us a cleaner for the key reader on our door. Got back and used it and everything else was fine. I get a call from Michelle, the manager and she tells me for all my hassle she would give me a discount. I was unable to hear her well on her message so I called her back and left a message on Sunday. Monday no call, Tuesday I decided to call her yet again. Jornet, front desk staff answers and I explained that I had called Sunday and did not get a call back so I was calling. She got offended (seems Michelle is her friend so she took offense to me telling her she never returned my call) I was driving so the phone was on speaker and I had my Friend in the car. I advised Jornet that its OK I just would like to receive a call back. She said Michelle was on a conference call in another room and that she was out sick on Monday but she would tell her. So i said OK please let her know and she suddenly cuts me off as I am speaking and says "YOUR NAME" and I said excuse me you are being rude! At this point I am upset. I tell her its rude to talk over someone especially after they have had such a horrible stay at their establishment and I yet again got cut off and she rudely said "YOUR NUMBER" so i pointed out to her "look you are doing it again" She then said "I do not have time for this you need to give me your name and number and I am not gonna put up with this" I gave her my info and also asked for the corporate office number. She said "I do not have that" i asked then can you call me back with it and she said I will have Michelle call you and hung up on me. Less than a minute later (mind you Michelle was supposedly in a meeting) Michelle calls me back and asked how she could help me. I explained I was calling her back and also I was now upset with a new issue which was her employee being rude. She says "well I heard you on the phone with Jornet" I say "really how odd as she told me you were in a conference in another room" she tells me "and I heard you Curse" I said excuse me?? I know you are lying as I do not even curse! what did I say" I asked and she stayed quiet and she said well anyhow fine you didn't but you were rude. I admit I did have a higher tone as I was being attacked by Jornet but NEVER did I curse and I was so upset she lied. The call ended quickly as she began to get loud with me and telling me she doesn't care and would not talk to me. I advised I would be calling corporate and she responded "be my guest" I ask her for the corporate number and she and someone in the back laugh and before I knew it, once again I was hung up on. I Google it myself and called and made a formal complaint. I have little to no faith anything will be resolved as Michelle seemed so confident she could talk to guest this way. As I was reading many reviews of this hotel and I see her name on some negative low rating reviews where people say she is very rude; I begin to understand why she is confident...she has gotten away with it many times. She must be related to the owner. Corporate says they are a neutral party and that they need to send the complaint to the hotel to hear their response and how they will resolve the issue and I think to myself wow! No wonder she was also confident in saying "be my guest" when I said I would call corporate. She truly has no regard for customers and their needs. Instead of training her staff to be friendly and compassionate of others when they have had a horrible experience she is teaching them to be rude and get sway with it by lying on guest saying they cursed. Just such a disappointment. My friend and I both STILL cannot believe what I have gone through with these two woman. I always stay at Best Westerns but this is the WORST literally the worst treatment I have ever gotten. So astonished by this behavior. PLEASE save your money and the hassle of dealing with this type of professionalism and disgusting treatment. Regardless if she is friends with her employee or not she needs to teach them that wrong is wrong and teach them to be courteous and friendly.

Homeless people in parking lot, Drug use in parking lot. Very dirty - feces in bathroom, stains on pillows and furniture. Lights burnt out in room. After checking out was insured would not be charged - not the case, took 3 days to get charges reversed Left without staying and would never go back. DO NOT STAY HERE - EVER. This place should be stripped of it's Best Western name.

The Amador is a good hotel for business and personal use. It is under pressure from working crews trying to rehab the Butte Fire and is going through renovations, but the staff is friendly and helpful and the room was OK. The beds were not great. They need to spend some money to rehab the rooms. Otherwise it was a good choice and a good value.

All I have to say is BLACK MATTRESS! Oh and rude, Loud, Laughing construction workers at 5:00 AM. The loud laughing lasted until 7 AM and there were still people hanging around until. I'd only go back here if I had to. The Casino costs more but worth the cost.

The good: Very reasonable rate. Room was reasonably clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good: eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles, fruit, juice, yoghurt, coffee. The bad: left some expensive ski gloves in the room. Called within one hour after checking out. Desk clerk was indifferent to having someone look for them. Stopped by that evening, and surprise, no one found them. I guess they don't pay the cleaning staff enough to be honest.

This hotel is perfect for staying at, and the employees there are all so very wonderful individuals. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, and see you all soon again. It is a nice ride to get to Jackson and Jackson, Ca. is a nice little city. We enjoyed the casino down the street. You have Denny's in the same parking lot and continental breakfast is offered. What more can you want.

Very nice stay even though all the halls are getting new carpet. the Staff were very friendly, and helpful. My room was redone recently and was very nice. There was a slight issue with cleaning, but the staff took care of the problems, and were very nice about it. I cannot say enough about the staff. We checked in on Christmas Day and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and enjoyed our Week-End. I would highly recommend this place for a comfortable week-end get away. Not real plush, or fancy, but nice....

Nice clean rooms Internet work well and easy to access. Breakfast was OK had eggs and sausage and the usual cereal fruit etc. Doing some remodeling in the hallways a little messy but that is expected.

Gave us a room that was under construction and unusable. Receptionist was horrible, offered no help. Our reservation guarantee meant nothing. We were stuck with three adults and a sleeping child, late at night with no place to stay and no offer to help. No other rooms were available. Best Western disclaimer of 'independent' ownership means they wipe their hands of responsibility.

i love this place. althought i think that they should lower the price especially when your staying here more then a week. the free food is great.plus internet.but need more rooms. and yeah thank you best western

This hotel is great because all employees are willing to help in any way they can. It is most comfortable, and beds are so comfortable. I will be staying again very soon at this hotel. I think that your hotel wus really cool to stay in. I could go up an down the stairs in my whelchair dooin wheelies and stuff. We always choose this hotel when traveling to Jackson, CA. The owner has always provided a clean, quiet room at a fair price. They have recently upgraded their breakfast service and it was great. They are in the process of remodeling and that is why I gave the room just an average rating. We weren't sure if they were finished furnishing and equipping the room we were given -- it seemed some items of furniture and kitchen supplies were missing. The room and bathroom were clean! We will be staying there again in early December.

Motel staff was very friendly and helpful. All was fine, except they are redecorating the hall ways which were cold and open to the outside. Nice place and no other issues. The breakfast was average, low on eggs almost out of bacon, without choices. The motel was very busy, taking care of fire response crews, but there were no service issues.

The Hotel is undergoing renovation so the Halls and some rooms were a mess. There was also an odor in the room when I first entered it. Once the heating/cooling ran the odor was gone. I was missing a light bulb in a lamp and the towel rack was loose in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. You also get a 10% discount at Denny's on the property. Once renovated a higher evaluation may be warranted..

Everyone was great at this hotel. For the price I paid, you couldn't beat it. The rooms are very clean, the breakfast was amazing! I will be working in the area for the next few months so this will be my home away from home for awhile. See you all soon!

Love this hotel!! Clean and staff is SUPER friendly!! The area is full of fun things to do like gold mine tours, gold panning lessons and CAVE excursions. It is a nice getaway from the hustle & bustle with some quaint shopping.

The hotel was ok but was in the middle of a remodel. The corridors were not done yet and smelled like cigarette smoke. The breakfast was good. The pool was too cold to swim in but location was good. This place will be ok when they finish the remodel. An outdoor hot tub would have been nice to have.

The best hotel to stay at, and very relaxing. Everything in the room is in working conditions. My stay was so very wonderful. The staff is super nice, and help with anything you may need. The breakfast is good, and this hotel offers discounts for denny's as well as rewards for staying in this hotel.

We have been rewards members with this chain for many years. We use Best Western Hotels often. My rating is towards the Amador Inn scalping people. They had rooms available Sept. 09, although the going rate was $120.00 dollars. On a Wednesday evening in Jackson, CA?

After a very long and cold bike ride we arrived and was booked in quickly. First impressions were not good as the hallways are in the midst of being decorated. On entering the room we were pleasantly surprised with a big spacious room and bathroom and also a kitchen fully equipped. Everything was clean with toiletries available. As we were tired and it was late we ate in Denny's next door you can get discount for breakfast staying at the hotel. Breakfast was good with yummy pastries. The plastic cutlery needs to be changed as can't cut the bacon! Only negative is close to road so can get traffic noise but we were so tired so didn't affect us.
