    « Excellent location »

You can't beat this location as a tourist. The staff were super helpful and booked tours and transportation for us. You are not anonymous at this hotel. Breakfast is included. We had room 501 which has a huge balcony with a view of the straight. Bring your own hair dryer if you really depend on one. If you are apprehensive about doing a turkish bath, use the one in the hotel where you can have a private appointment, which my husband and I did, so that we were there just the two of us. Rooms have bathrobes and slippers, full compliment of toiletries, and a minibar. No clothes iron. English language TV is very limited. If you are a light sleeper, plan to be awakened early by the calls to prayer taking place in the neighborhood.

« Fantastic location and staff »

Stayed here for 4 nights on a sightseeing trip with my sister. It is the perfect location for visiting the area and sites around Sultanahmet Square. I can't praise the staff enough they were fantastic and incredibly helpful in arranging tours and nothing was too much trouble. They made you feel like one of the family. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I would certainly stay with you again. Debra Wakefield Bahrain

« every location round the corner »

Lovely staff especially Alli and the lady assisting at breakfast very clean hotel. Sauna and Turkish bath which can booked for only personal use. Good food and walking distance to all tourists areas. Close to main airport

« Great location for visiting Hagia Sophia »

I stayed here one night in November on a stopover from Africa. My goal was to see Hagia Sophia. And wow. The Hotel is just a short walk from the Historic sites. And with a quiet neighborhood. The room is spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. Feels like family! I will definitely stay here again!

« Perfect place to visit Sultanhamet »

The staff and the service were excellent. The rooms are large and their style are great. The food was diversified and tasty. 10 minutes walk max from the most interesting places of Sultanhamet. I do recommend 100%.

    « Fabulous and Unforgettable! »

My husband and a couple friend of ours were immediately impressed by the impeccable customer service, the delicious, fresh food and the quaint, charming rooms of the Best Western Premier Regency hotel. Above all else, what we would really like to stress is that the friendly, helpful staff exhibited professionalism at all times of day and night, and really went above and beyond in their customer service. The location was an added bonus! We would most definitely return to this fabulous city in a heartbeat and when we do, we can assure you that this will be our hotel of choice! Enjoy!

    « Look no further...stay here! »

My wife and I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago with some friends and we cannot say enough good things. 1. The staff was excellent. Mr Ali, the chef, and the manager, the night time front desk staff, all went out of thier way to make our stay memorable. 2. Location is perfect. Walking distance to historic sites. Lots of restaurants close by. 3. Breakfast buffet was ample and delicious. 4. Rooms were cozy. We had a wonderful courtyard attached to our room on the first floor. When we return to Istanbul, we will stay here.

    « WOW everything »

Stayed here as a family in an executive room. Centrally located for all the famous sites, most within walking distance. The room and the hotel were very clean. The reason I rated this hotel 5 star is for it's staff, not going to single anyone specific as everyone we came into contact with were all great and always smiling. Would I recommend or come back? YESSS Thanks to all for making our stay so memorable.

« Absolute gem in the heart of the city!! »

My husband and 2 friends and I stayed here for 2.5 days and absolutely loved this place!! First of all location was fantastic a 5 minutes walk to many main attractions - Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque etc.. Staff - amongst the best I have encountered. Special shout out to the front desk reception Ali. Always went out of his way to help with recommendations to enjoy the city! Manager Emin and chef were also great - always smiling and helpful. Lastly the extras in this hotel were wonderful - Delicious free hot Turkish breakfast each morning, complimentary access to the Hammam spa. This place felt like a home away from home!!! Highly recommend this place to anyone. Next time I'm in Istanbul I will stay here!

« Perfect location and friendly staff! »

My boyfriend and I spent 2 and a half days in Istanbul on the way to a wedding in Jordan. We wound up choosing the Best Western Premier Regency because my boyfriend is a BW Platinum member and the reviews of the property were very good. Our experience with the staff at the Regency started after we booked our stay, we arranged to have an airport pickup which was very smooth and comfortable (especially nice after a 9hr flight!). The concierge was incredibly helpful - providing us with suggestions and tips for our daily excursions around the city. The most friendly and memorable staff member was the woman running the buffet breakfast in the morning - she continuously went above and beyond and her smile and friendly demeanour really made our stay quite enjoyable. The rooms were great - a bit dark (as we had a room facing the back side of the hotel, rather than the street), but very comfortable and served as a perfect homebase for our needs. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul!

« Great location and hotel »

Staff, facilities and location were superb. I have stayed at many Best Western Hotels and this is without doubt the best. The front of house staff were possibly the most professional I have come across outside of the best 5* hotel. Recommend to anyone.

    « a wonderful surprise ! »

Super location 5 minute walk to most major tourist attractions. Super clean in a historic ottoman setting at a fair price. Fantastic staff and hospitality. We are grateful for the wonderful days we could spend there. Congrats !!

« Location suitable for families and helful staff »

very warm, welcoming and helpful staff, good walking distance to Sultanahmet. Quiet location on street. Nice views from top roof restaurant. Good gym. clean rooms well decorated. Good options for breakfast.

    « Amazing hotel »

I've never been in a hotel as this one, the staff are unbelievable, Hudo, Ali, Abadan, Necati (bulgarian man). Firstly, I want to thank them to become my stay in Istambul unforgettable. About the hotel it is really good, very clean and confortable, even though it had some problem, with this staff the hotel would be good.

    « Best western hotel »

It's was nice to stay in this hotel the service is impeccable and l really enjoyed. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent stay thank you very much for the very kindly staff and for the excellent breakfast. See you for sure

    « Best Family Vacation »

We went to Istanbul for 4 days as part of our Summer Getaway, and I not even once regret chosing this hotel for our Trip. 5-7 Minutes Walk to Topkapi, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, 10 minutes to Grand Bazaar via cab. Staff was suberb went with their recommended tours and it was blast. They even called Cabs if needed, went extra mile to entertain our needs. Excellent choice of breakfast items which is included with your stay. Hotel is run and managed by 3 guys that I can think of, limited rooms which makes them pay detail attention to all their guest. Rooms are decent, stairs is the only thing which I think is not wide enough, but they have elavator. SPA facility is excellent. All in all great service was provided at this Hotel.

    « excellent hotel »

very nice hotel, excellent staff Ali is the best of the best. very clean Turkish bath thanks to all for the nice stay , we stay for 5 night and will come back this hotel very close to the historical area of Istanbul

    « Very bad hotel »

I booked 5 stars hotel but the hotel is 4 starts quality and very small also far away from the was not easy to find it..breakfast wasn't that was typical turkey breakfast and not that much varieties.. I asked the reception to weak up me twice but he didn't.. I don't advice you to book thier...

« Great stay, but not quite a 4 star hotel »

Overall: More like a 4 star and will be comfortable for Americans traveling in Europe. Some of the other local 4 and 5 stars in the area might be worth it if the price is right. Service: The staff is fantastic and hospitable attempting to make your stay easy and hassle free. They can tell you all about the packages in the area, where to go and what to do. The Room: It's a Best Western. If your more use to Hilton or Marriott's QC on 5 stars, then it is not that. But for the price, particularly if you get a suite, you will have a room that is larger than most, clean and comfortable. Size is an important factor for Americans traveling in Europe as many rooms can be the size of a closet. The suite I stayed in had a king size bed, full bath with tub with towel heater. Freebees & packing notes: Bottled water is free. They also have the usual free nescafe and tea. The room does offer nice white terry robes and the thinner slippers. Shampoo, conditioner and soap are the basic Best Western brand.. For picky ladies, I might consider bringing my own vs. say a Hilton which offers the more luxury type that make you want to try it out. Internet access: Very good internet throughout the hotel. It is assigned by floor. Food (breakfast): Upstairs has a decent view. There is an ample breakfast. It was not quite my thing, but had most of your basic grains (bagel and cream cheese, cereal, etc) and a host of dried fruits and local fare. Location: You are a reasonably close walk to all of the attractions. There are so many hotels in the area, that I wouldn't say this is the closest. Because there are multiple Best Westerns it is highly recommended that you get a business card. While cabs are easy to get, they get very confused between the 3 different Best Westerns if you're out late at night. Spa: There is a turkish bath in the basement. However, you are in Sultanahmet and two of the City's most famous are so close by. I would recommend you also try those.

« Friendly, helpful staff and a beautiful hotel. »

We are a well traveled family and have stayed in all sorts of lodgings. We can highly recommend this Best Western for its excellent location, knowledgeable & friendly staff, and beautiful and clean rooms. We would stay here again!

    « Awesome »

The hotel has a fantastic location and amazing staff. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and the hotel amenities are in great shape. We got great tips from the receptionists from places to eat, shop, all the way to helping us route our day for site seeing. The hotel restaurant and the restaurant next door are fantastic. Great breakfast too! Highly recommend it!

    « Friendly staff & good hotel »

Rooms are not very big and spacious but neat and clean. Staff is very friendly, food at the restaurant is good. Wifi is not that great and location of the hotel is pretty far from nearest tram/subway station

« Located in the heart of Old Town Istanbul - convenient to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque »

We chose the Best Western for its location, location, location. The room, itself, was ok. Traveling with our son, we chose a 1 BR suite. But the air conditioning was configured so that the vent was only in the living room (where our son was). In order to get air to the bedroom, we had to keep the bedroom door open, and the screen between the BR and LR open, which, of course, defeats any privacy. But the front desk staff was eager to please and accommodating. We appreciated the complimentary basket of fruit and daily water bottles..

    « Like Family »

We had a family of 8 stay at the Best Western Regency in late July 2016 and our experience was wonderful. The hotel staff made us feel like family. They took care of our every need and even took care of things we didn't even know we needed! My father had a health issue while we were there and the hotel staff went well out of their way to help him feel better. The hotel, the street and the neighborhood were perfect. We were at home the entire stay. The design and décor of the hotel were top rate, modern, luxurious and yet also traditional. We felt very at home and very comfortable.

    « Very good experience »

This was our first trip to Turkey and it was made special by our stay in Best Western Regency. I loved the street it is located at. It gives you a great local feeling. The location of the hotel is also important because, it is only five minutes walk from the main tourist attractions like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace etc. Tram station, which will take you to every corner of the city, is also right next to Blue Mosque, so very easy access from the hotel. Hotel rooms are very clean. breakfast has a very local touch, but a great variety of food available. Staff is very friendly, esp. the ladies, very loving and friendly. Coming to Turkey, stay here.

    « Another great stay »

So we traveled again this year through Istanbul and we stayed at the same Hotel from last year. Just like last year, we had a fantastic experience. They actually had reserved the same room we had last year, which was a very nice surprise. We had a king bed and a sleeper sofa and a bed chair. So all of us had a wonderful sleep. From the onset the manager was very welcoming and nice. This young manager had perfect English and unlike last year they did not push restaurants and trips on us, just simply helped my wife identify some shopping locations she was interested in. The room was very roomy for the 4 of us, super clean, modern and the internet was to the kids liking of and their YouTube habits. They even found a Pokemon Go to catch at the front of the hotel :-) Breakfast is very decent and filling. They could probably use a few more protein items, The location of the hotel is the best, we walked around, took a short train ride to the grand Bazar ( we could have walked). There are many good restaurants in the neighborhood to try. We had a great experience at a fish restaurant next door called Tria Elegance.

    « exceptional »

the hotel is excellent. the location is near the tram and the blue mosque. the rooms are new and very clean. all the staff are so nice and the breakfast is very good. I highly recommend this hotel for families and also 2 people. waleed

    « Perfect location »

The location of the hotel is perfect, it is a short walk away from the Blue Mosque and Topkapi palace. The hotel itself is clean and the staff were incredible, really polite and professional. The hotel were happy to close the sauna off for me and my wife, so we could enjoy in private. Would stay again when next in town.

« Amazing experience! great for families. »

We have just returned from Istanbul where we stayed three nights at the Best Western Premier Regency Suites & Spa. We are a family of four ( kids aged 10 and 15 years old). Let me start by saying that we had a wonderful experience at this hotel and we highly recommend it for visitors. If we visit Istanbul again we will definitely stay at the same hotel. We emailed the management a month in advance to request a larger room with a divider wall. The hotel emailed us back right away and this is exactly what we were given at check-in. The hotel arranged the tour of the old city for us. Our guide was very informative. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, from the cleaning lady to the breakfast lady to the guys at the reception. Their warm welcome made us feel as if we have known them from ages. The breakfast was so delicious and filling. I read comments about the breakfast not being "typical". Who wants a typical breakfast when visiting a new country and a new culture? For us we really enjoyed the very special breakfast and trying something different. Last thing I wanted to see is oatmeal and peanut butter! The other amazing experience we had is when we used the Hamam for the first time. We were not interested in the massage and scrubbing, we just wanted to try the Hamam's relaxing experience. The hotel let us use it privately in the evening. It was a nice privilege to go in the Hamam and sauna as a family without having to share the experience with strangers. This was priceless! The hotel is very clean and the beds are comfortable. Our flight from Toronto landed in the morning. The hotel was very understanding to the fact that we have not slept all night and let us check in early. We really appreciated the special attention we received and we highly recommend the hotel for its outstanding service and great location.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

Hotel was nice and clean. Good location, walking distance from Blue Mosque and Metro. Staffs were very kind, friendly and helpful. Amazing experience. Would definetely stay here again. Thank you so much for everything:)

« Excellent Hotel with Excellent Staff »

I stayed at this wonderful hotel with my family for a week in July. We were given an executive room on the first floor, facing the street. Although the room was a little small for the four of us, it was perfectly fine. It was meticulously cleaned every day. Breakfast was nice and although it was a cold breakfast on display, it was a wide selection. The staff were more than happy to even make us fried eggs. There is no hard sell in this hotel and every single staff member was extremely helpful, always smiled and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived on the day when the military coup in Istanbul happened. It wasn't much of a problem for us and didn't spoil our holiday. The hotel is centrally located in Sultan Ahmet. The walk to the Blue mosque for prayers was a simple 2 min walk. The walk to the main tram line is five min, and everything you need is accessible. A perfect hotel in a perfect location I'd like to say a special thank you to all the staff in the hotel, especially Ali and the other gentleman in reception, the wonderful lady serving breakfast, who gave my wife and daughters a huge hug on the day of our departure. If I ever plan to go to Istanbul again, I would have no hesitation in staying here again

« Loved every second of our stay!!! »

I had in error reviewed another best western and just realized that so had to correct myself and give credit where it was due ! Every second of our stay was literally made pleasant by the wonderful staff who treated not only us but our kids as family. ! Would return there any chance I get !

    « Best Stay Ever!!! »

The guestrooms are beautiful, well appointed and very clean. The breakfast room is super cute, food very good and the service is the best by far. I stay we my family for 4 days and I must say that in such of short period of time the staff made me feel like I was at home. This hotel is located near all the main attractions. I recommend this hotel.

« Awesome service, great location & gorgeous/super clean hotel!!! »

Our experience with the hotel staff was very good right from the very beginning? At the moment we arrive to the hotel the hotel manager came to the main entrance to great us and help us with our taxi driver to make sure we had no communication barrier. We arrive at the hotel early morning from a cruiseship and they already had two rooms side by side with a small extrat bed as requested ready. We literally dropped our luggage hit to the restaurant right in the main lobby had a great lunch and then left the property and walked two blocks to arrive to the plaza where the famous blue mosque and the sofia museum?.all walking distance from the property. The rooms are immaculate clean the restaurant food is superb the service very personable yet top notch. I'll definitive recommend this hotel hands

    « Excellent »

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay in June 2016. All staff were beyond helpful and very service minded. The hotel is excellently located few min walking distance from Sultan Ahmed Mosque as well as Aya Sophia Mosque. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. The breakfast is very rich and delicious. Upon arrival, Mr Hudo at the reception gave us a detailed presentation of the area and suggested an excellent one day tour guid trip which we happily tried and were very pleased with. We also met with the hotel manager, Mr Emin, who personally welcomed us and made us feel at home. Overall we had an absolutely fabulous experience at the Best Western Premier Regency Sultan Ahmed hotel. On our future trips to Istanbul, we would definitely stay with them again.

« Back to old Istanbul »

We arrived in Istanbul having spent some time travelling from Australia through Abu Dhabi. A reasonably long 24 odd hours door to door. The checkin in process was pretty effortless- quick and simple, got A bit of on up sell for some tour companies but nothing un expected. They took us to the 1 of 2 rooms, the first was bigger but the second had a balcony so we went with that option. The room was clean, and bathroom spacious. Bed was comfortable as well. The hotel has a nice rooftop with views of the Bosporous and the city walls. Other nice options, included the Hamman Spa, Sauna and gym (treadmill was a bit dodgy ? but the rest functional)' Breakfast was okay, not my personal favourite type with a variety of cold meats, cheeses and olives and dips, I would call it International Continental with eggs The location was fabulous, right in the middle of the action of Sultanahmet, 5 minute walk to all the sites, 10 if you are walking a pregnant girlfriend. I would give it a strong 4 out of 5 for price, service, location, and quality.

    « Got a home in AlFatih »

Stayed with my young kids for five nights on end of May. Got a room on 3rd floor with a Jacuzzi and a nice view on a plum tree in backyard. To some, Hotel may be a small, yet it has a big ego. Staff were friendly and helpful. Offered access to facilities as Gym & Turkish bath, and city travel tips. Thanks to Ali & Hedo from reception for their unconditional help. Ms Abadan & Mustafa for delicious breakfasts and soothing Apple Tea. We will definitely go back again.

« Home feel hotel in the middle of old Istanbul »

I only stayed overnight in Istanbul. Wanted to have some dinner and have a little walk in the old part of the city. All these goals came to fruition very nicely. The location is spot on - the district of Sultan Ahmet, very old part of the city. But what my review is really about is the hotel's unbelievable personnel from a door man to a manager. They are so attentive to a guest's needs that initially it feels kind of "well, ok... what's next?" But then you quickly realize that these people are for real and all they want is to make your stay very comfortable and memorable. I had a good Turkish meal at night at their restaurant finishing it up with a Turkish-style coffee- a real treat. I do not think they have to do it. Normally, they serve regular coffee but my request was not left unanswered. Same the next morning, around 6 o'clock I went downstairs and ask for a cup of Turkish coffee. They brought it to me with a smile and cookies. I did not know all the names of the staff but Hudo and Canip were extremely helpful. Both are professionals in what they do but with a home feel attitude. My room was clean, everything worked, nice amenities. I highly recommend this hotel. -Igor

    « Lovely hotel »

Enjoyed staying here with two young children at the end of May. At check in staff upgraded to us to a bigger room - nice. The hotel is small with around 14 rooms... but it has a great personality. The rooms have a nice decor with all the necessary things. The bathrooms are decent. The staff are amazingly brilliant! The breakfast stuff go out their way to make you feel comfortable as do the front reception and concierge. I will definitely stay here with the family again. Thank you for making our trip a nice one.

« Great place to stay in istanbul »

This Best Western Hotel was very well situated in old town, so that all the main attraction were within walking distance- the blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cisterns, and Topkapi Palace. The hotel was very quiet, clean, great included breakfasts, but it was the staff that went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful one. We would highly recommend staying here.

« Location ideal and friendly »

Stayed four nights before our cruise. Was an excellent decision. Ideally located, close to all the key tourist sites in the old town. We walked everywhere, even to the grand bazaar. Nice rooms, friendly eager to please service. Good morning breakfast. Good restaurants nearby. If we return, we'll definitely stay here again.

« Great Staff, Value and location »

If you want to know downtown of Istanbul, this is a great hotel. It's a small hotel, clean, and staff that will make you feel like home, the location is perfect, it's walking distance from main sites as blue mosque and Aya Sophia. I traveled with my family, wife and 3 kids (11, 7 and 2), loved the hotel and if I come back I would definitely picked this hotel again. Unfortunately I had to interrupt my trip, and the hotel manager was so nice to reimburse the nights that I had to cancel,

« Great Best Western in Istanbul »

We stayed at this Best Western in Sultanahmet in Istanbul and enjoyed every aspect of the visit,The rooms were quiet and comfortable and the staff were exceptionally helpful. We would recommend it to all travelers.

« Excellent service clean comfortable »

The regency hotel is a very good hotel! It's super clean and staff are very attentive and friendly. Good breakfast with great coffee! Great location with all the attractions walking distance and lots of shops and cafes around the area. Really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.

    « Weekend vacation »

One of the best hotels I have been in. Nice room, very good service. Good breakfast. The location of the hotel is very central which is good. I will definitely come back here. Thank you very much for everything.

« Average hotel, great location »

Room was quite small, location was excellent, view was n/a as there was a building so did not have a view at all. Service was average, room was cleaned daily but towels were not great, some had marks although they were washed, bedsheets were not changed daily but beds were made daily. Free breakfast was really terrible, food was rubbish, boiled eggs were old, gave me a tummy ache. Omelette was made on request but the taste was not very good. Breakfast buffet was very odd, having dry fruits and weird items that were not really breakfast material. The guy at the reception called HAMZA was very good, very friendly, he helped us a lot with information and things to do in istanbul, apart from him, they were okay. Spa was small but okay, we went as a family as it was so quiet, there was no one there, sauna room tiny but does the job, then into the Turkish bath which was a nice first time experience for us.

« Family vacation to Istanbul »

We went for a week vacation to Istanbul and stayed at the Best Western Premier Hotel. The location is great, it's close to all the major sites and resides in a quiet part of town. We rented two rooms since we had five people in our group. The junior suites are very spacious and nice, some of the other rooms are a bit small as expected. It's a nice little hotel with only 16 to 18 rooms, the staff is great, they are extremely helpful and nice. We were very scared due to the recent terrorist attacks but the hotel staff reassured us to stay calm and gave us great advice on when and where to go. The hotel has a nice cozy feeling and the staff is like family. The breakfast is small and different, not like the typical American breakfast. I'd highly recommend this place for any traveler.

    « Great location. »

We visited the hotel before leaving on a cruise out of Istanbul. The hotel is very nice and clean. It is very close to all the historic sites. The breakfast is excellent, there is a lot of variety and everything is fresh. The restaurants near by are all tourist traps.

« My Excellent Stay at Best Western regency »

I visited Istenbul for the very first time on week-end 4th March 2016 till 6th March 2016. The hotel is located at an amazing location, can walk almost anywhere. I could hear azan from the blue mosque while in hotel so could easily go for regular prayers at the mosque which is a 3 min walk...prayer mat was available for my room. Breakfast good, lots of choice and amazing. Would specially like to mention breakfast host Abadan Muradova, who is an amazing person. Very helpful and friendly. Hotel manager Mr. Younus ( Eunce ? ) came for a friendly chat on breakfast ..a very smart and intelligent person. Was planning to buy a good dslr....and discussed with me on camera models and prices ( on seeing my dslr ). :) . We had a standard room on the 5th floor. I could go on top terrace any time easily to photograph sun set / rise , blue mosque , hargra Sofia and the sea. All staff very very helpful. I will definitely stay here next time with my family. Stayed March 2016

« Great hamam and friendly staff »

We arrived 5pm on Christmas day.. for about 4 days.. When we arrived that night we were immediately greeted by a nice gentlemen called feteh. He was the night receptionist. He's mannerism was lovely and checked us in as swiftly and gave us all the information needed. He spoke very good English and was such a nice man :) whenever we saw or walked past in the evenings he would stand before you and always greet you and ask how we are etc etc.. The hotel located our rooms together as we asked to be together. The hotel is like 3 mins walking to arasta bazaar and trip advisors top rated restaurants too. Your close to everything. We used uber to get around for just the malls but for the sultan ahmed and aya sofia hamam we walked it's like 5 mins walk. The hotel had nice spacious rooms.the shower pressure is good. The cleanliness is OK for a luxury hotel. I did find a dead fly in the window seal and never was cleaned. But the room service was daily and there's plenty of staff to help clean and set up rooms. The bathroom is nice but again lacking a bit on cleanliness as I spotted mould around the corners.. these are just minor things for me only because it's a luxury high end hotel. The only down side was the breakfast.. I thought it's continental too but it was turkish style which is fine but I think if you are the type that likes a whole variety for breakfast then not ideal. There are no croissants.. no Danish pastries.. no proper hot breakfast only hot items were scrambled eggs and borek. . Put together in one dish. And toast if you used the toaster. The rest were fruits.. yogurt cereals and cold meat.. these are not kept cold so do come early.. you won't find and much. The best thing about the hotel was location location location... there's restaurants and cafes everywhere so you can eat out. There's the bazaar which has nice food too. We never had dinner in the hotel always outside. There is a lovely restaurant 2 doors down left to the hotel.. a few steps only. It's rated highly on trip advisor too and says " hassle free zone" on their decorations. This place serves fresh food the adana was so lovely. The hamam was perfect in the hotel.. we used all facilities.. you can use the hamam privately with your family.. and fitness place was excellent too. Overall.. it's not the mariot or park plaza or even hilton breakfast style but it's in a great location excellent staff service and everyone spoke good English so communication was absolutely fine. Try opt for higher floors we were on the first floor and could hear the ringing from reception and walking and shuffling and talking too. So just be on the best side and go up high.

« Charming small hotel with great staff »

Our family of four had a great stay here on our vacation. Hotel is lovely, and ideally situated for touring historic Istanbul. Could probably have given a fifth star, but held back for a couple of reasons: 1 - Despite the impressive room description "Executive Suite King Bed", which is their largest room type, the accommodations were seriously cozy for a family of four. NOTE: some of these rooms have an interior partition wall, and some are wide open "suites"; be sure to send the hotel your specific request in advance (learned this the hard way). 2 - Light sleepers take note, between the restaurant-lined street below, the impressive early morning calls to prayer from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and the not-exactly-state-of-the-art soundproofing, be sure to bring white noise and earplugs. These are nitpicks, more than anything. The staff were delightful, the breakfast was a treat, and the hotel is beautifully appointed. Would stay again.

« Nice small hotel very close to main attractions »

We stayed here for 2 nights and very happy with service. They have plenty of selection for complimentary breakfast. Very close to blue mosque and not far from tram station. Plenty of restaurants in same street. Highly recommended. One thing I would recommend for tv channels with family of children I did not see much selection of cartoon channels but their wifi is complimentary with good speed.

« Wow!! This is a superb choice! »

Traveling in Turkey on a holiday with my wife. Tour guide set this up in the old city near the Blue Mosque and Sophia. It is British in style and very service oriented. Rooms are large for a European standard and very nice. Breakfast is complimentary and great. Headed to the free Turkish bath next. If you go to Istanbul, this is a top pick.

« friendliest staff, great location »

This location is fantastic for the most visited sites in old town. As soon as I walked up I was greeted by staff (even before I walked in). I was upgraded as I checked in, and the room was beautiful and had a pretty nice view of the street and you could see the water as well. The bed was comfy and the room was rather spacious for a European hotel. The breakfast spread was large with cheeses, meats, olives, fruit and pastries. They did have regular drip coffee, but if you ask for Turkish coffee the awesome staff is more than accommodating.

« Home from home - beautiful and comfortable »

We have just arrived home from our 7 night trip to Istanbul this wasn't out first visit to Istanbul, however was our first trip to this hotel and can definitely say that when we visit Istanbul again this WILL be our hotel of choice and we would highly recommend it. From booking confirmation to arrival I found the hotel easy and pleasant to communicate with. We booked our airport transfer and arrived at our home for the next 7 nights and 8 days to be greeted by the most loveliest man I have ever had the privilege of being acquainted with - Hamze - he greeted us with the biggest smile I have ever seen and took us through our check in procedure which was quick and easy after our delayed flight. Throughout our stay there was nothing that was too much trouble for any member of staff at this hotel they truly were there for our every need. When we left in a morning they gave advice if you needed it and always wished you a nice day - when you arrived home you were always greeted with a smile and how was your day and they actually seemed interested in what you had done that day. They rally do care about you and your stay with them and it's also the little things that make this stay even more amazing! After a long day out on Thursday we decided to eat at the hotel and it was scrummy! We only had soup and pizza but it was fault less. Yummy in our tummy We had breakfast included and we did have breakfast the first 2 mornings and the scrambled eggs were divine the only reason we didn't continue to have breakfast was because there was simply to much yummy food we had to try each day On a bit of a sad note we were subject to a tourism scam, however, I have to say that this had nothing to do with our hotel and yet the hotel dealt with this immensely well and put all of my doubts to one side and revived my holiday and my love for what is a fabulous beautiful city and the general manager Ali was just amazing he took the timeout of his busy schedule to talk to us and make sure we were OK. This hotel really is a home away from home whilst we were there we never once referred to it as going back to the hotel we were going back home. There is nothing negative I can say about this hotel, it's an absolutely fantastic location being about a 5 minute walk to sultanahmet where you find the stunning Hagia Sophia and blue mosque and about a 10 min walk to basilica and a 20 min walk to the grand bazaar area. I now love this hotel as much as I do Istanbul and it may be a few years before we return but we I'll most definitely be returning one day to this hotel. You won't be disappointed with a stay at this hotel.

« A Terrific Hotel near incredile historic sites »

This hotel is in walking distance to the the famous historic sites like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, and Topkapi Palace. The hotel rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included free of charge, and was absolutely delicious. Excellent quality ingredients, and the view from the breakfast room is over the Sea of Marmara and the beautiful architecture of the Old Town. Fatima and Salih in the breakfast cafe are wonderful hosts with a great sense of humor. We absolutely enjoyed our stay!

    « Old City Charm »

The Best Western is located on a great street, lined with shops and restaurants. Breakfast was outstanding - our room comfortable and spacious. The staff were so helpful especially Sethi. Istanbul is an amazing city with so much to see and do.

« Comfortable stay, great location for business »

This is a clean and comfortable hotel located a five minute walk from Sultanahmet -- close to the action without being noisy and touristy. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good; lots of fresh options.

« Most friendly hotel Ever »

Initially selected this hotel due to the comments. I do confirm that the hotel is very acceptable as building but its charm comes from the personnel who is the most friendly and helpful team ever seen. Special thanks to Abodan the most adorable waitress. I do recommend this hotel for the following reasons: 1- near the most attractive place in Istanbul; 2- very calm; 3- Nice food; 4- Sona and Hammam available for couple; 4- Personnel amazing Cheers.

    « Great experience!! »

Three couples, all family, spent 4 days in Istambul. Great location, just a couple blocks of most significant landmarks. Compared to other similar European hotels, rooms were spacious and comfortable. The most outstanding feature is the people. What a friendly and nice group. Always ready to serve with a smile. My wife needed some juice which was not on the shelf and immediately they sent one to a nearby location to get it. The front desk and all the staff really impressed me. Always ready to give you information, make arrangements and have good suggestions. Great job!

« Good Hotel and Good Location, Family friendly »

M.Shareef from Saudi Arabia, The service was excellent as was the front desk and all the staff. The rooms are large as are the bathrooms with plenty of closet space. For a small hotel they have an excellent spa with massages, sauna, steam and Turkish bath. The location is walking distance to all the major sites and around the corner from the Four Seasons. Would definitely stay here agai, walkable distance 1000yards from either Topkapi Palace or Sultanahmet Mosque. breakfast was more than simply continental, and dinner at the hotel proved tasty. the staff was friendly and always ready to help. I would want to stay there agai

« Where you want to be in Old Town »

Can't say enough good things about this small hotel in the old town area of Istanbul. The service was excellent as was the front desk and all the staff. The rooms are large as are the bathrooms with plenty of closet space. For a small hotel they have an excellent spa with massages, sauna, steam and Turkish bath. The location is walking distance to all the major sites and around the corner from the Four Seasons. Would definitely stay here again.

« great hotel, great location »

a wonderful smaller hotel maybe 1000yards from either Topkapi Palace or Sultanahmet Mosque. breakfast was more than simply continental, and dinner at the hotel proved tasty. the staff was friendly and always ready to help. I would want to stay there again

« Great small hotel at great location »

This is a great hotel, and very well located in central area just next to all main sites in Istanbul. It is only few hunderd meters from Agia Sofia, Topkapi and Blue Mosque. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and confortable. Breakfast buffet is very good. The only not so good item in buffer was "american" filter coffee, but fortunately you can get good espresso or Turkish coffee just by asking. A special feature in this hotel is private spa. The spa department consist of both Finnish and Turkish sauna (Hamami). The spa is small, but due to that, it is always reserved for private use with no extra cost. At least when we visited, we got the spa for ourselves almost each time we asked, which was almost every day. Very relaxing thing to do after long day in sightseeing. And if you want, you can spend time in small but well equipped gym just next to spa department.

    « Friendly reception. »

What a welcome. I booked the coach ride along with the hotel from Expedia. We were the first passengers to be dropped off. Great welcome which makes us feel at home. Hamza upgraded our room which was appreciated as room size in Sultanahmet run small. They have a pretty good exercise room as well as the Turkish bath and sauna. I looked it over but because we were busy outside and did a ton of walking I didn't actually use it. Since it's more of a boutique hotel the breakfast is modest. The waitress was very attentive and they fried up our sunnyside eggs the way we like. Lovely deep yellow oaks. One really feels at home here. We walked to most attractions, Grand Bazaar, Egypian Spice Market, Topcapi Palace as they are nearby Most gifts and souvenirs we just bought nearby or in the Arasta Bazaar only two blocks away. Taxis are fine and reasonable but We didn't use much as the walking was the way to enjoy the place. Weather mid October was super at 20 high.

« Excellent service, clean room, location not best for young people! »

As soon as I arrived at the hotel and informed ekai that i was there for my honeymoon with my wife, he upgraded us instantly, and that set the tone of the stay throughout the stay. every request we had was fulfilled swiftly. Even the night manager was a very pleasant guy who genuinely enjoyed hearing about what we've done for the day. Only downside (which wasn't down to the hotel at all) was the location, although very close to the main attractions, i wouldn't suggest anyone looking at enjoying the istanbul night life to stay in sultanahmet and you'd be better off staying nearer to taksim.

    « Very comfortable stay »

My wife and I stayed there for one night before boarding our cruise ship. The desk clerk had spent years in the US, so he understood our interests and gave great advice. The location is superb- within a five to ten minute walk to the Blue Mosque and other sites. The room was clean and comfortable. It was not a suite- it was a fairly standard room. For one night it didn't matter.

« Great Place to Stay for Tourists in Old City »

The hotel was a great experience for first-time tourists in Istanbul. The location was perfect--very close to the Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome, and Blue Mosque with a rooftop view of the water. You can walk to pretty much anywhere in the old city from here. There were also a lot of restaurants, bars, gift shops, and dessert shops near the hotel. The restaurants get competitive for your business at night but if you ignore them they won't bother you. The hotel staff go out of their way to make you comfortable--things like providing maps, tour recommendations, phone calls, trips to and from the airport, umbrellas, dry cleaning, converters, printing services, and more. The big breakfast every day was great too. Lastly I would recommend their spa--I did the Sultan's massage which was half Turkish Bath and half therapeutic massage and loved it!

« OK Hotel but very pricey, hence the mark down »

Room with balcony with view over roofs to Sea of Marmara. So called honeymoon suite. Reasonable size for older style hotel & reasonable appointments(except no top sheet on bedding, just the blanket!). Staff service was good & helpful but pricing was quite over the top from 249euro to 349euro/night over the 4 nights stayed! I feel we were ripped off by Best Western. Friends were staying for 60- 160euro cheaper in equivalent hotel nearby(no quitet the same balcony view though).Didn't like the Turkish style breakfasts which are quite ordinary considering that this is supposed to be an International style hotel.

« Best of the best! »

This was a great hotel and a great experience. Everything was more than we expected. The food was very good and the service could not have been any better. The staff was excellent and the room was perfect. Excellent view and service. If you have any question they can help you for everything and they can organize some tours and private guide. Would recommend this hotel to everyone:)

    « Very good indeed »

Haven't really got anything negative to say - we stayed here for two night on arriving in Istanbul from Brisbane. The room was lovely, had everything we wanted/ needed - tv, air con, fridge and a good bathroom. The breakfast was amazing, such colours and choice made for a great start to the day.

« Fab room, wonderful staff »

Our ovrall stay in Istanbul was enhanced by the level of service we received from the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and someone who went the extra mile was Fetih (night reception),information supplied, arranging for the shuttle transfer we had arranged to pick us up at the hotel rather than the meeting point. The room was a delight, spacious and immaculately clean and tidy with a bowl of fresh fruit waiting on our arrival.

    « Nice »

This simple hotel is in an excellent location. It was clean and the service was very friendly. There is not much more to say about it, but for a short stay (arrived late at night, checked in at the Four Seasons the next day) it was more than adequate.
