Best Western Princes Marine Hotel

We were allowed to check in early, jet lagged I walked into the room, dumped the bags on the floor. It's a little dated inside, but everything you need is there and it is SPOTLESSLY clean!!!! I looked out of the window and saw the sea view, at that very moment the clouds passed by the sun, blue sky appeared as if by magic and the sunshine came out. I just smiled. I decided to lay on the bed for a minute to rest, five hours later I woke up, nice comfy bed. I know Brighton and had no problem walking into the town center from the hotel (20 minutes). The 700 bus stops right outside and will also take you there in 5 minutes. They have car parking! This is a rare thing in Brighton, they have limited spaces , it's a bit tight. but it is free. Every member of staff was happy and super helpful. I will return to stay here again when ever we go back to Brighton.

We got the last room here, a twin. Nive vew of rear car park. Nevertheless, the room was a good size and the bathroom (no adjacent shower) was large, clean and tidy. Only drawback was the 60s throws over the end of each bed which did nothing for the room. We were allowed to check in early. The continental breakfast was extensive. Then we could not get out because some idiot had parked overnight in the parking prohibited areal Surprisingly good staff, particularly in the breakfast room.

We stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed the 30 minute walk into Brighton everyday along the beach. The man on reception was a delight when we first arrived (working night shifts) and made us feel welcome straight away with a number trick! The room was nice and clean. The only thing that lets it down is the very small and tight carpark.

Well situated on Brighton sea front. The staff were very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The hotel was clean and well maintained and my room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom. I would stay here again if I return to Brighton.

Stayed here last night and we were lucky enough to get a space in the car park which was great. The hotel is just over the road from the seafront and it is lovely to walk by the sea, either further into Hove or into Brighton the other way. Our room was clean and welcoming and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Andrea who looked after us in the lovely Bar area last night and again during breakfast this morning - she was so friendly and welcoming! The breakfast was very nice, with lots of choice. We had a great overnight stay in this lovely hotel and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years and always had an enjoyable stay. Staff have always been super friendly and helpful. The hotel has a free small, first come first served car park which is a bonus as parking can be an expensive nightmare in Brighton and Hove. Breakfasts are well worth having too.

The staff were polite, helpful & welcoming, the hotel was very clean and tidy, great see view & about a 10/15 minute walk from the i360 tower but a bus stop is directly outside. Our cooked breakfast was served freshI and we also had the option for a continental breakfast. My girlfriend & I highly recommend this hotel, we have already booked our next visit & we definitely will be telling our friends and family.

Lovely stay from start to finish. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful and it was nice to have table service for the drinks and the hot food. I would recommend having a sea view as that makes it even better! all good . Would highly re

I had a great stay, wonderful staff. Breakfast was excellent, my room was neat, very clean and tidy. They also upgraded me to a seaview room which was very kind. The 11am check was helpful as it was a very cold day so I could have a lazy breakfast at 9 and check out later in the morning. Many thanks

I stayed for work purposes including early starts and late finishes so I cannot comment about the daytime options. I can tell you that the rooms (and bathroom) are really spacious, decent bed/pillows etc and generally well kitted out. More importantly, the only person i had any real contact with was the night porter and he is an absolute legend. He is beyond helpful and really looked after me. He made sure I went out the door with a decent breakfast (list of options) and a cup of tea exactly when I needed it. Genuinly nice bloke. Overall, the hotel was spot on and I will be staying again.

Superb location on the water - just a minute to walk to the beach. Great friendly helpful staff. Location is very clean with brand new carpets. Very Comfortable. Quiet - slept very well. Great value for money.

Super easy check in. Lovely staff. Amazing location. Free parking (saved us a fortune and a headache finding a space). Ok the rooms were a tiny bit outdated but for that price still exceeded my expectations.

Great location, have stayed here twice before a long time ago. Staff make the difference, very friendly and happy bunch. Rooms decent size, parking tight but I always managed to get a spot. Nice 50 minute walk along front to get to pier area ..

Another lovely stay at The Princes Marine Hotel. We stayed in May and had the 'Sunset' room which was incredible with a large balcony and magnificent views. Unfortunately that room wasn't available this time, but nevertheless we had a lovely bright spacious room with a sea view. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, and actually remembered us from our previous stay which was very heartwarming. We particularly like Erika, one of the waitresses in the breakfast room who was so very friendly, happy and chatty. It was a real pleasure to have her serving our delicious breakfasts. We'll certainly be back to stay at the hotel again, it's a really lovely place.

Had a good stay just for one night, no space in the car park unfortunately but parked in the car park opposite. We got a sea view room which was lovely but can be noisy at night as on the main road. Room was clean & big, lots of wardrobe space, large bathroom, tea & coffee. Its a good 30 mins walk into Brighton but nice along the sea front.

Princes Marine had everything we wanted. Friendly staff, a really nice room, with all we needed, very comfortable bed and a good breakfast. Would definitely go back if we are in the area. Free parking as a bonus, too.

What a little gem. We had booked late and as it was a really good price, our expectations weren't very high. However when we checked in the lady on reception was really kind and helpful. Despite being early in the day, we were going racing, she assured us this wasn't a problem. There is a FREE car park. Such a bonus in Brighton. Our room was large well equiped and very clean so important. There is a nice bar. The Breakfast was exceptionally good. Everything was perfectly cooked. The waitresses were exceptionally, kind, pleasant and helpful. Definitely one we will return to. A big thank you

Hotel was wonderful. Made catching up with friends, all that much special. Thank you. Waking up in the morning, to the sound of the sea, seeing the view from our room. Staff always there to help you and always with a smile. What more could you ask.

We were initially anxious about this hotel as it was further away than what we wanted however, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly. We had a drink in the bar which was lovely and clean. Overall we had a lovely time

Stayed in this hotel just outside of Brighton, on the seafront , Sunday 23rd July for 1 night . It was suitable location for an event we were going to, at the county cricket ground- but also near to shops & food outlets etc. Great service all round, the rooms were ample in size , including a bathroom and all very clean & comfortable. Nice little bar attached, with some outside tables & limited food options … to be fair, plenty of choices of bars & restaurants nearby. The breakfast was pretty good, and served between 7:30 until 10 , so not too early for us . Although a small car park was to the rear - it was on a first come first serve basis , not a chance of us getting a space… but plenty of local parking, not as expensive as in the city centre. Will consider using this hotel again should we stay in Brighton

I've been coming here for many years and always found it good value, welcoming, cosy and friendly. I chose not to drive as local buses are good and the bus to Brighton or Worthing etc runs right outside.Plus its not far from Hove Station. Hove is on the doorstep and also the lovely beach and Hove Lawns. This hotel is a treasure!

Hotel was very clean and the receptionist met us with a smile. The room was ready early and we managed to get a parking space. The hotel is situated quite a walk from the town centre. We stayed new years eve so the price was high and we could of got it cheaper if we had booked on the day instead of booking early

Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is great - on the seafront and 10 minute walk from city centre. There are very basic services in the room: an electric kettle + tea bags & instant coffee sachets. No refrigerator or microwave. Carpet was a bit worn. Heating worked well, and there's a nice heated towel rack in the bathroom. Shower is very good. TV service is extremely limited - only BBC channels are available. Something was wrong with the WiFi during my stay. Intermittent and occasional internet connection only, and when it was on, the signal was weak. The bed had a thin rather firm mattress.

We have been using this hotel for a long time we have always been lucky to get a free parking space bus stop outside hotel .the hotel is reasonably priced service and food great we go for a cheap room then upgrade and get a great deal.

Lovely room, very clean. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower. Super views of the sea. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. Lots of car parking spaces but the narrowest entrance to the car park made parking a bit nerve wracking!

I stayed for 3 days while in Brighton and I really couldn't fault it! It was seafront, not too far from Brighton's action but without the hefty price tag!The room was spacious and comfy and the staff at Reception really friendly. And the breakfast area was cheerful and the breakfast food(included) really good. It was just such a great experience all round that I look forward to staying there again when I am in Brighton.

Very helpful staff, both reception and bar, couldn't do enough to help. Assisted with my luggage mountain both to the room and to a taxi at the end of stay. Very clean and comfortable room. Large bathroom, very clean with daily service if required. Lovely position on the seafront, far enough to be away from nightly revellers yet close enough to Brighton to visit everywhere - bus stop opposite. Have already booked for another stay.

Nice sea front hotel, about 30 minute walk from Brighton. Nice sea view room, large and clean. Some amenities could do with updating. Staff friendly and quick to book you in etc. Has its own car park but very narrow entrance if you are a nervous driver.

Virtually on the Seafront,this really nice clean hotel,works nicely.Car parking too,breath in as you drive round the back to the car park.Great Breakfast,if you include it and very good value.Varied choice of rooms,no restaurant,but you can order in and eat in the bar.Nice friendly staff

This Best Western is exactly what one would expect from the company. Confortable, clean and a reasonable price. The room was well facilitated with refreshments hairdyer and a box of tissues.. Would stay again

Good value hotel. I had a lovely sea room, really large. Was able to sit with my tea in an armchair at the window and watch the sea and promenade activity. Room was very clean and bed comfy. Staff were friendly. Free car park but very narrow to get into. Only real issue was my key never worked when I went to my room. Had to keep returning to reception from the 4th floor!

This is a really nice hotel. There is nothing fancy about it, but the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and efficient, the breakfast is superb and it even has a free car park (though I prefer not to use it, it is quite a tight fit!)

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the family rooms at the Princess Marine hotel and we were delighted with our stay. The sea views were breathtaking, the room very spacious and cleanliness throughout the hotel was high. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night despite it being very busy due to half term which made it more comfortable to sleep. Staff were helpful regarding directions/places to go and how to navigate public transport which made the trip more relaxing. Breakfast staff were lovely, friendly, welcoming and accommodating towards the children. We are looking forward to staying again and exploring more of Brighton and Hove. Thank you.

Visiting family and found this hotel very good value for money. Breakfast food choices very good. Sea view room clean and comfortable. Parking could be an issue as available on a first come first served basis. Local parking is available.

Hotel is in a great location within easy reach of Brighton either by walking along the prom or catching the bus from the stop outside. Rooms, we had a seaview which was of a good size with large bathroom, good size double bed,only thing was it's was a little tired needs updating. But was cleaned to a good standard, there was some traffic noise at times but the views made up for this. The best thing about this hotel is the cooked breakfast which was cooked to order using fresh produce of a very good standard well worth the visit. They do not serve evening meal but you can order food in and they provide the plates ect or you can eat out great places nearby to eat Does also has a small carpark which was an added bonus. All in all.would definitely recommend this for couples wanting to stay in Brighton.

It is a good three star hotel. Our room was a good size and had an ocean view. All the facilities in the room worked. We did not use the dining room. The only difficulty was the very narrow driveway to the parking spaces.

Very clean, all the staff were very friendly, nothing was to much trouble, bus stop either side of the road so easy access to different areas, would definitely recommend. lots of lovely restaurants up on the top road, Adelfia a greek restaurant is well worth a visit.

Great accomodation outside the hustle and bustle of Brighton. Great room with a comfy bed. Powerful shower with a bath and spacious bathroom. Spacious room for all your belongings including a luggage chair. 40 minute walk to the Brighton pier which is a nice way to get around and a bus stop across the road. Staff weren't extremely helpful or friendly and wasn't informed on how to get to my room. However all and all would visit again as everything else was fabulous

Having stayed at this hotel pre-pandemic my wife (June) and I decided to make it our first post-pandemic port of call for a weeks break. As before, we were not disappointed, .The location is just far enough out of Brighton to make it a nice walk to the centre ,and the hotel itself is excellent. Our room had a balcony and sea view and was very comfortable. We looked forward to our breakfast as a great start to the day....the menu is varied and the food beautifully prepared. The ladies and the gentleman who greet and serve the guests are professional and very friendly,which is important to the guests getting a great start to each day. We cannot thank them enough. The reception staff,who also manned the bar, were also first class. We thoroughly enjoyed or stay.

We really enjoyed our time at the Western Princes Hotel especially the hospitality from Dave on the front desk. A great host who saw to all of our needs. Ordered amazing food for us from Yummies pizza. Opened the bar if I wanted a drink and gave more of a personal service in comparison to service you receive in other hotels. He even dazzled us with some magic as we checked in. The room was huge, very clean & modern interior. Massive bathroom double sink long lit mirror. The shower system was right up my street too mega hot power shower. The hotel is set in the quite end of Hove just a stone throw away from the beach. The Morretti on draught is special

Whilst a more modest price for a Saturday night in Brighton than other hotels - the hotel could still have been a better experience. Car parking tight but overspill available on street nearby. Rooms a bit tired/dated but functionally ok

The customer service was excellent. Modern and clean room. Great value for money. Breakfast was nice with plenty of it. Bar service was spot on. There's a lift so no walking up stairs with a bad back.

On 2 occasions we booked to stay just 1 night at different hotels but ended up booking the 2nd night at BW hove. We've learnt a valuable lesson not to book anywhere else in the area. Staff were amazing, the rooms are nice and modern, spacious and they feel like a home from home. We loved our stay and would highly recommend

We enjoyed our short stay at the hotel and would certainly recommend it. Staff were helpful but wish we had been advised that there were problems with bus service, waiting for a bus outside the hotel which was not coming!

We stayed one night in the Best Western in Hove. We upgraded to a sea view room which was a lovely room. The bed was comfortable and the bath had lots of hot water and shampoo etc. The reception staff were very friendly as were the breakfast staff and the cleaners. I have rarely been in a hotel with such happy helpful staff. Will definitely be back.

Hotel is clean and well kept overall but quilt at end of bed was visibly stained and appeared dirty so did not use it. Room is comfortable with everything you need and staff are attentive and super helpful. Had problems with room key - if anywhere near your phone, won't work. No shop to purchase snacks, food, drink, but drinks, ice, and limited menu available from bar for a good part of the day - until 2:00. If beyond that, you have to go out or have food delivered. Breakfast is offered though. Great location, no AC, but room comfortable and fan provided. This hotel is better and much less expensive than other four-star hotels in Brighton and Hove. Recommend for the price paid.

Close enough to Brighton to get there in 10 min (bus 700 right in front). Far enough to be able to enjoy a seaview room without the crowds, the noise & the smell of chips (or worse) from the street...

There's a car park but its first come first served and i was lucky to find a place. That said this is close to the seafront and to Hove, its a stiff walk to Brighton . I was given room 2 very close to reception which was the special assistance room which just meant it was a big room and a big bathroom. I asked exception to close the intervening doors because of the noise from the wind off the seafront and other guests in the bar. After that it was fine and I slept really well.

Very happy with the whole expereince - terrace room meant a superb view and a bit more cool air coming in teh door at night. Really flexible with our early arrival and check in and great to have the car park!

Lovely hotel with big, very clean rooms. Hotel staff lovely, very helpful and friendly. Definitely would recommend this hotel. Excellent choice for breakfast, really well cooked all our breakfasts arrived at the same time. Planning to come back again next year.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last couple few years, and I will look to book again when I need another hotel stay in Brighton / Hove in the future. The hotel has a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, comfy rooms for the price, and I have always enjoyed the cooked breakfast in the morning.

The staff at Princes Marine went out of their way to accommodate our family. The hotel is great value, clean, comfortable and is in a perfect location on Hove seafront. The views are spectacular and there's a huge range of restaurants in the local area. We always recommend the hotel to family and friends when they come to visit. Thank you Jonathan and team, for looking after us and making us feel so welcome.

The rooms seem tired and need an update. The hotel itself is clean and tidy. All facilities are good. Wifi, tea and coffee, toiletries, hairdryer. The room we had faced the back of the hotel but was next to the lift which was noisy and the room was too warm. Tried opening the window and the net curtain rod fell down. We then had trouble closing the window. Didn't feel very safe to leave it open as it was a tilted window.

We've stayed at this hotel many times, mainly because its got its own car park, which is a great bonus so close to Brighton. Anyway we finally paid for an upgrade to the 5th floor. Had a mini suite overlooking the sea. The room was excellent, with a large seating area, great if you want to spend your time gazing at the sea. Well worth the money.

The hotel is situated about 2 miles outside of Brighton. There is a car park on site which is a squeeze which is free. Alternatively there is a car park opposite which is £10 for 5 hours. The hotel is very basic. The bed was very uncomfortable and mattresses need to be changed Paid breakfast in the morning which was nice. Staff friendly

We came for a party 3 sister's sharing a family room one double two singles. We arrived early and was very pleased that carpark had a few spaces left and could park easily. We expected to leave car and return later but, receptionist was so friendly and helpful and said there was a room ready, although on 3rd floor we were only too pleased to accept it On opening door we were very happy to see such a lovely, clean and spacious room, with the most perfect sea view, obviously we had paid more for this, it was perfect.. The noise from passing traffic is noticeable and did not really stop even overnight so although hotel is very quiet we heard no other noise at all, this might not suit everyone. There is ample space for clothes, a wardrobe and drawers, the room was warm so used the fan in wardrobe. This room was so nice, hotel staff helpful and such a good location too. We would definitely return..

Really happy with our overnight stay at this great location hotel. Staff were great friendly and knowledgeable,arrived early,no trouble early car parking. Room was all.that we could want,spotlessly clean,well stocked tea,coffee and biscuits, well stocked shower products. Breakfast choices excellent of continental or full English,or a bit of both. Would certainly stay there again.if in the area

Excellent hotel overlooking the sea front in Hove - lovely rooms , dining room & bar - whole hotel nicely decorated - all staff we encountered were great - gentleman on front desk was very helpful ( sorry didn't get his name ) great breakfast wonderful choice of hot & cold food & drink & very pleasant staff & a special mention to Seamus in the well stocked bar who kept us entertained - only criticisms wifi kept cutting out had to keep logging back in & car parking was very limited but once we managed to get a space we just left the car there & got an Uber or there is a direct line to taxi's from front desk they came in 5 mins & there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. Overall an excellent stay would definetley stay here again & highly recommend it.

We opted for a sea view and it was very nice to wake up to that. It is only a short walk to the beach.The room was spacious. Breakfast was ample and the staff were very helpful. Only negative which might put us off a future stay but didn't matter this time is that parking is limited, otherwise I might have gone for 5 stars. As far as 3 star hotels go it ticks all the boxes.

We stayed in the Best Western Princes Marine Hotel for a few days before the Easter weekend and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is in a great position, close to the beach with nice views over the lawns towards the sea. We stayed in a family room and it was much larger than in other hotels, with 2 proper single beds, a double bed and a coffee area with 2 armchairs. Some parts of the hotel felt a little dated and some of the decoration is probably best described as 'quirky' (see my photo of the mirror / TV / picture for example), but everything was clean and as good as it can be. Staff were helpful and polite and we'd be happy to stay again!

Disgusted to pull back the sheets to get into bed to find the bottom sheet soiled with brown marks and the duvet cover had blood stains, for £175 a night I at least expect clean linen? Receptionist moved us to another room and was apologetic

Stayed here for the marathon weekend. Room was really clean and the little touches like returning to a bed with throw cushions on at the end of a long day was lovely. Staff are friendly too. Will be returning to stay again

Stayed for two nights room only. The hotel was perfectly located for our needs. We were allocated a non-sea facing room on the top floor which had undergone recent refurbishment. The room was light and pleasant with enough storage space and a powerful shower (v. important). The bar was handy and served Birra Moretti which we like very much. We had a pre-dinner drink both nights. We cannot comment on the food as we ate out at the plentiful array of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Parking was tight. We arrived mid-day and secured a good space without difficulty. We didn't move the car until the day we left but parking was clearly an issue in terms of getting an on-site space. At the time we were there, there was availability on the roads. Not sure what it would be like in July/August. We would definitely stay here again. It was excellent value for money in a great location.

Great staff great stay no complaints! Would recommend anyone looking for good value for money, good breakfast (hot&continental). Worth upgrade for room with view on a good sunny day! Stones throw from beach, can't go wrong really

Stayed for one night when meeting friends in Hove. Friendly staff; good sized room and bathroom, with heating you can adjust to suit; comfortable bed with crisp, white linen. Clean and quiet rooms, with a small bar on the ground and a lift to all floors. Very reasonable price. What's not to like?!

We've stayed here numerous times over the past few years. Located in Hove, it's a 30ish minute walk down to Brighton. First come, first served car park is free which is great as it can cost a fortune in Brighton to park. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a lovely breakfast, all for a reasonable price. What more could you ask for! Looking forward to our next stay.

A very nice hotel with polite and helpful staff, conveniently located to shops and restaurants in hove, a bus stop right outside the hotel for Brighton town centre and back.will use the hotel again. In fact have booked the hotel again for December.

Sooo good to get a parking spot within a seafront walk of Brighton. Spacious family room with seaview at a reasonable price. A bit noisy if you open the window as it's on a main road but worth it for the view over the beach huts and beyond.

This is a great hotel with sea views at the front . Clean , comfortable with good facilities . Excellent customer service with friendly helpful staff . No restaurant service in the evenings at the moment but guest are encouraged to order takeaway food from other providers . There is a nice variety at breakfast . I particularly like the options of full breakfast or continental or just tea , coffee and toast .

Great value seafront hotel. Clean, well presented and comfortable for a quick stopover visiting family living in the area. Friendly check-in with unexpected upgrade to sea view with terrace looking out over the beach huts to clear views and chairs to enjoy the view outside if there hadn't been a storm. Compact but lovely room with tea making facilities and toiletries. Be aware of limited parking but it's clear in the info.

We have been staying at the Princes Marine Hotel over many years when having short breaks in Brighton and have always enjoyed our stays here. Good location, lovely promenade walk into Brighton. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good value deals often available out of season. Breakfasts are good. We used to always use the hotel restaurant for evening meals as the chef/food were excellent, but this is currently closed. We went to the local Marroccos Restaurant (just past the Sports Centre) on two evenings and highly recommend. You can also order in food to eat in the bar area of the hotel which is pleasant and comfortable. Although we didn't try it this time, there is a new restaurant/bar called Rockwater a short walk along the sea front in direction of Shoreham. Looked busy and popular when we walked by.

Had a room looking out to sea, nice size rooms, good service, easy walk to the beach, and nearby restaurants. Short taxi ride to Central Brighton too. There is also a bar at the hotel! Will definitely use again on my next trip!

We loved everything about our stay at this hotel. The staff obviously love what they do and this is reflected in the attentive and pleasant service they provide. From check in to check out it was all good. A lovely clean and comfortable room with sea view with all that you could ask for for a short stay. 2 comfy tub chairs, a desk with chair lots of options for lighting with side lights and main light. Radiators that work, a nice clean bathroom, telephone, T.V. Free WiFi, hairdryer, blackout curtains, full length mirror, a built in large wardrobe with shelving, and room service is generally available. The rooms with a sea view are definitely worth asking for, where the views across the Hove Lawns to the beach huts and then on to the sea are often spectacular with sunrise and sunset displays of cloud and and sea. Generous breakfasts, good service, and a fresh flower on every table and also in the reception area. In reception there is a brochure rack with lots of ideas of what to do around Brighton. The bus stop that can take you 2 miles in to town is just outside the hotel and immediately on the other side of the road for the return journey. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location with a fab view of the sea. We also paid a little extra for the balcony which was worth it. Clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast. Helpful and efficient staff. Easy to park. Only knocked a star off as the hotel does look a little run down from the outside and in a couple of the communal areas (entrance, lift) but the rooms themselves are clean and comfy.

One night stay for concert nearby. Charming staff in ALL jobs in the hotel. Great breakfast with service to match. Our room was pleasant, spotless and spacious. Free parking when available and superb bus service right outside.

With the smallest car park I've ever experienced, don't even bother trying to get in, or once in get out of it. Location is good Staff absolutely wonderful in fact flawless. Room a couple of hair issues other than that clean, and a lovely interior. Then could hear a rattling, I asked my husband was we near a train line. This noise continued. Had this when we went to sleep and then we realised we were at the back of the hotel lift. As soon as other residents were up and about the lift was in use and we just didn't rest. After having our planned day out we came back to the active lift. Please if you want to book this hotel inform them you do not want the room at the back of the lift. Receptionist did sympathise with us however nothing could be done we were stuck in this room for two nights. Hot Breakfast good quality, continental not great. Excellent selection of teas probably one of the best. A very mixed review, with mix feelings. Don't be put off by the cold, dated reception area (staff deserve a much better environment to be in) and hotel guests deserve to walk into something more welcoming. However walking into the area of where our room is lovely and welcoming and our room was lovely just unfortunately at the back of the lift. This was not a cheap hotel stay and was more than most places in the area.

The main issue here was the fact that the room was like a sauna when I entered, admittedly in unseasonably warm temperatures. The only means of regulation was to turn down (or off) the radiators which inevitably took hours to cool the room down. The bed was extremely comfortable, as good as any I have slept in. Likewise the room was very clean and presentable. The price was reasonable value for the location, the staff at check in and at breakfast were polite and helpful. Breakfast was served promptly and was excellent quality. Overall above average for a mid range hotel chain.

Check in Lady was very pleasant. Balcony is small, bed very comfortable. All 3 breakfasts were served with a smile and was of good standard. Thick bacon slices, scrambled egg and poached eggs were very nice. Cleaner was very nice.

I had a couple of different rooms due to having to extend my stay, both were ok. The rear view twin was dated. The double had a huge bed which was comfortable. My colleague had a sea view double which was a really nice room with a great view. The breakfast is terrible. If you don't get it included in your stay it's £15 which would be acceptable but you get a child's size breakfast.

Stayed here again as it's convenient for meeting various friends in Hove, Room is comfortable, shower is good, breakfast good, staff friendly. I will stay again on my next visit, opposite on the seafront is Rockwater a great place for coffee or a beer.

Had a lovely well deserved break with my wife ,we would highly recommend this hotel lovely sea views and only a 15 minute walk into Brighton, or get the bus outside into Brighton Town centre also nice pubs and restaurants with in walking distance

First impressions were not great as the on-site car park, apart from only having around ten spaces, was extremely narrow and cramped. On check-in I was informed that due to absence of the, presumably singular, chef, pre-paid dinner would not be served, nor any other food service available. Not a problem due to the hotel's proximity to other places to eat and refunding this was seemingly quick, but it's not really an issue you expect of a major chain hotel. Room decor was very dated and rooms clearly hadn't been altered for decades. Bed was softer than I am used to but otherwise allowed for a good night's sleep. Road noise with a sea view room was very noticeable, but not excessive. Bathroom was extremely spacious and having use of a full-sized bath was welcome. Plug socket availability was a little lacking, and a questionable plug-splutter brick was used to connect the lamp. These things are a bit of a safety hazard and shouldn't still be being used. There is no A/C here, so that could be a potential issue for summer stays as having the window open would expose sea-view rooms to the road noise of busy Kingsway, mere metres from the room. Although fairly expensive for a hotel of this standard, I can somewhat understand this due to the prime location on the seafront. Nonetheless, I suspect better would still be available for the price in other local B&Bs. With limited, cramped parking, no air-conditioning and unreliable catering, the Best Western offers nothing you couldn't still get from a cheaper, independent small hotel.

Perfect location with bus stops right outside into central Brighton (if you do not fancy the 30 minute walk), various pubs and restaurants close by, clean, comfortable, great breakfast and lovely friendly and efficient staff. The only downside (as is the case with the majority of hotels world wide) was the inconsiderate guests who think it is acceptable to make a noise and slam their room doors, late at night and early in the morning.

High standard of hotel at a reasonable price. Executive room (Sea, 51) was large and comfortable with a great walk-in shower and a fabulous view of the sea. The hotel team were polite, efficient and professional, stayed in the background until needed. The only downside was the very narrow entrance to the rear car park, I had a large car and only had a couple of inches on each side!

Great hotel and very good price when we stopped. I surprised my wife by booking one of the suites on the top floor and we were very impressed by the room.it had everything you needed in it and a good size. All the staff were very good and very helpful with anything we needed. The bar was very nice and food nice too. It's in a great position on sea front and about 15-20 minutes walk into Brighton along the front. We will definitely stop here again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. They helped us park up outside the hotel which was a bonus. We upgraded ourselves to one of the top floor rooms which overlooked the sea snd had a balcony. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of sockets to charge our phones, for the hairdryer etc. The room was quite narrow though and you had to squeeze past the bed all the time. The hotel was conveniently located to where we needed to be and this side of town is smart and lively with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops plus the beach and promenade. We are very likely to stay here again for our next visit.

Room decor was old, uncomfortable bed, bathroom door which got jammed each time it was closed. Laundry cart left outside bedroom door for 24 hours with dirty bed linen. Breakfast was poor, cold sausages, raw poached eggs. Half a roll of toilet paper.

Nice hotel, good location, rooms clean, Staff friendly. Breakfast well cooked, portion slightly small. Bar ok. Parking not good. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Decent value for money.

I stayed for one night at the Best Western Princes Marine Hotel it was clean pleasant and quiet during night. The bed was very comfortable the shower was hot and everything smelled nice. The room was tastefully decorated and furnished and everyone was protected and kind.

We stayed here after completing a London to Brighton Cycle Challenge on an extremely wet and windy day. Arriving at the hotel, dripping wet with bikes was not even a problem. The room was comfortable, the radiators were very welcome as we sat next to it to warm up, and to dry our trainers on! The beds were comfy, bathroom spacious and clean. Location was great, with a bus stop right outside for getting to the town. Would defintely recommend and stay here again :)

A really good example of Best Western hotels. Scrupulously clean, well appointed room with excellent en-suite. Friendly staff and good service.we upgraded to a front facing suite. The view was terrific

On arriving unexpectedly 3 hours before hour checking in time, we as greeting by 2 staff in reception with beaming smiles, and told our room will be ready in 10 minutes. We entered the room which obviously has lately been newly renovated. Absolutely spotless and nice size room and shower room. Breakfast was very clean and fresh, great variety, with service fantastic. Great location with parking at the rear of the hotel. We ordered a taxi to Brighton (with a direct line at reception) if nice weather you could walk but its roughly 1.5m to the centre or £7.60 in a cab. All in all fantastic experience, great location, great staff and very very nice facilities. We will 100% be returning.

This was my fourth stay at this hotel. It is located a walk from Brighton Centre but is on the seafront and so a little less noisy. Also not too hard to find car parking in the streets surrounding the hotel. (there is a car park at the hotel but has only about 12 spaces so don't expect a space to be free). The room was good - had a seaview with a small balcony - was nice to grab the last of the summer weather. Didn't use the restaurant or bar this trip so can't comment.

We booked the Executive Downs View Terrace room and it was well worth it. Huge comfortable clean room with brilliant views. Would definitely recommend it and would stay here again. It was a nice walk from Hove to Brighton from the hotel. There is a bis stop right outside hotel if walk os too far. Free parking which is always welcome. It is a narrow drive up the side of the hotel to car park but our 4x4 car managed it.

We found the staff at this hotel were friendly and made our stay very pleasent. The sourounding area is very also very pleasent. We certainly would recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Also we found walk to Brighton i360 was excellent.

We stayed here as we were visiting relatives in Hove - a great location with the beach opposite and a lovely stroll into Brighton itself. It's about half an hour stroll to the I360 in Brighton. The 700 bus stops right outside the hotel and is very convenient to take into Brighton or in the opposite direction - runs very frequently. The room was spacious with storage and tea/coffee tray. Spotlessly clean and was serviced each day of our stay with tea/coffee supplies refreshed. The staff were very pleasant. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as this was charged at £14.50. There are several cafes in the locality which do brilliant breakfasts for half the price - would highly recommend the Sunshine Cafe just around the corner. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the lift has to be the slowest lift ever, and the extortionate cost of breakfast.

We decided to visit old friends in England over a 2 week period.This involved staying for 2 or 3 day stays in 4 different hotels.The reason I have marked this hotel at 4 stars is because I believe that all Hotels should have ‘walk in showers' as standard. In fairness ,it was my fault that I did not request such a room with a ‘walk in shower' and the ‘Hotel' were excellent in resolving the situation.

We stayed for one night whilst visiting Brighton, I had booked a double for me and wife and a twin room for my daughters. On arrival at 2.15pm no parking on site but parked on street across road with no problem. We were allocated land view rooms on the second floor. Reception staff were friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean however I would say dated and in need of an upgrade. The carpet did not join up exposing underlay and the tv mounted on wall was a bit wonky ! I would say this is a good place to stay maybe 1 night, I thought it was good value for what we paid but with an upgrade of room it would be much better.

Take a clean and pretty hotel directly across from Hove Beach and Sea and then add the friendliest & most welcoming staff = a magical stay. The rooms are immaculate and nicely decorated. The breakfasts are filling and tasty. The location is right across from the beach huts and tasteful promenade. What more can you ask for.

We were looking for a hotel for an overnight stay, somewhere close to the centre of Brighton but the hotels were either insanely expensive or the standard was far from modern. That's why we finally chose Best Western, which turned out to be a good compromise, despite the fact that we had to take a long walk to the centre of Brighton (almost an hour, but a pleasant walk by the promenade, along the beach). Room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The downside was the lack of proper parking (only a few spaces in a tight parking lot, behind the building) - fortunately, we travelled without any big luggage, so we parked our car in one of the streets nearby (it cost only £ 6 for 24h). The breakfast was far below the standard you would expect from Best Western hotels: little choice of food and some platters were already completely empty despite we had our breakfast quite early. I hesitated between rating this hotel 3 or 4 (unfortunately, there are no halves). In the end, I am giving "very good" because the service was nice and polite.

Great hotel, just spent the bank holiday at Brighton for the Mod weekender. Room large, comfy bed, clean, really good food, bonus having free parking. It's a 40 minute walk into Brighton town centre but right outside hotel is a bus stop and catch the 700 bus in to town takes 10 minutes. We are already talking about going next year and using this hotel again.

A family room was a great size for our family (2 adults, 19 & 4 year old) - seating area was useful as extra space and sea view was lovely. Breakfast tasty and ample. Room was warm but a fan is provided. The road outside is noisy but you should expect that if you want a seaview so it was fine for us. We managed to get a parking space on our third day but there is paid parking on street across the road - this is free from 8pm-9am. We would definitely come back as the location is great - a 45 min walk to Brighton Pier and so much quieter than Brighton. Thank you.

I wouldn't have chosen to come here but was all I could get in Brighton that was less than £300 a night at relatively short notice (3 weeks prior) . Hotel itself is fine, clean, pleasant staff, big rooms but I think a Premier Inn is nicer. Had to pay an extra £7 for parking overnight although website does state limited parking we got there 10 mins after check in and it was already full. Plus every time we opened the door we were faced with piles of laundry bags or cleaning trolleys. It's the little things that matter especially when you've paid through the nose for a basic hotel. It wouldnt have botheted me so much had it been under £100 for the night. We also had a fuse blow in the morning but that was fixed straight away. There was no air con and winter quilts on all beds made it feel rather stuffy even with windows open. However a fan was supplied in the room. Noisy traffic in the morning with window open (we had sea view though which was nice) An okay stay if you can get it for a decent price. Think we paid 180 for a family room without breakfast. . Well overpriced for the standard Inn my opinion but supply and demand and all that. Brighton itself I thought was a bit of a hole.

Staff were caring and attentive to an extreme even down to room cleaner finding me a step to enable me to climb into the bath when she saw I was using crutches. Restaurant staff at breakfast were there to help me at the buffet without being asked. You don't beat that type of service.

Great staff, spacious rooms, breakfast options good, sea view superb. Location excellent - bus stop right outside to get you into Brighton. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If you're looking for anything resembling a lye in, go elsewhere. Vacuum cleaner on and being banged into the door before 8am, followed by a knock to make the room up shortly afterwards. I would have slept better on the roadside. Wall sockets were not working. About 3 spaces in the ‘car park' …2 star hotel with 4 star prices.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff went out of there way to make our stay comfortable. The weather was hot and as we were on the top floor our room was hot, even with fan! Breakfast was ok. Would stay again. Thank you all at Best Princes marine, who went above and beyond.

This Hotel is Great !! and the Team here even better. The room was spacious ( I was allocated room 34) and had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. There is limited car parking here but in the evening parking is free on the seafront. Breakfast was super and set me up fore the day. 10/10. I was so impressed that I am going back again, with my partner next time, in September, says it all really.

The hotel has obviously been recently renovated as every surface and furniture were ultra clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast excellent and the location on the sea front very pleasant. The hotel has on site free parking but it is cramped

Fabulous spacious room with terrace to see the sea. Very comfortable and extremely well looked after. Breakfast was included and was a reasonable choice served by friendly efficient staff. Electrics were a bit of a problem while we were there- no lift one morning but was rectified quickly. Nice location but in Hove so good step to Brighton attractions although really good bus service in the area and one that stops right outside

Great service from start to finish. It's a fairly basic hotel, but what they provided was exactly what we required. The breakfast wasn't amazing, but it was served very professionally and the restaurant was nice and clean. If back in Brighton area with friends this would be a hotel I'd check for availability.

Had a good 2 night stay at this hotel. Very clean. Good full English breakfast. The hotel is a little way from the Brighton attractions so it's a long walk to and back but a great location to be on the sea front.

This is very friendly comfortable place to stay. Hotel is well situation for exploring this interesting coast. There is a very good, frequent bus service that stops right outside the hotel. Good home cooked food.

It was walking distance in to Brighton, but there is a good bus service just outside the hotel. Taxis were plentiful in Brighton and cost about £10 back to the hotel. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The location is perfect with the Sea Front walkways just over the road and buses into Brighton just outside facilties for a holiday all round for everyone .Its all flat so no problems for a walk with push chaies etc..The hotel is well run and very clean and the sea view rooms are big with great views a no pressure stay with very good food at great prices to enjoy.

Small hotel on front 20 minutes walk from Brighton. The hotel is rather dated but the room was ok and the bed good. The onsite parking is hilarious. There is minimal first come first served parking and what is available requires skilful driving to negotiate. Suggest park on street at about £6 max per day. The cooked breakfast was good.

Was pleasantly suprised by location and parking nearby. Seaview from room lovely. However, room not ready on arrival had not been cleaned or bed changed. Had to wait over half hour in Reception after 2 hour drive. Bed was sloping to one side and headboard moving alot, especially next door !! Could have done with more towels. Breakfast poor alternative to buffet and came in drips and drabs. Small serving and not very tasty.

When we booked, this hotel was almost full. We managed to book a double and needed them to bring up an additional bed for our 5 year old child, however, although this was set up on arrival, there is an additional charge of £20 for this which I think isn't fair in this current climate. Check-in was done on-line with just a payment to be made at reception. Two additional key cards were issued at no charge. The room was clean and tidy as always and we had a lovely view of the sea. I didn't have a good night sleep but that's because I'm accustomed to a memory foam pillow for my neck which I didn't bring. I could have happily stayed in the room all day just looking out at the sea. Breakfast was ok, my little one didn't want her scrambled eggs on toast and we asked if we could change it to a few fried eggs with beans but we were told only one plate was included in the price. All in all, a good stay.

This is a good value for money hotel in a good position if you don't mind walking, a pleasant 20 -30 minute pleasant walk along the sea front. Very clean and comfortable hotel. The upgraded rooms on the top floor are better if you can get one with a small balcony. This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and would do again as we like walking.

I booked my room online for myself and my children. The family room was excellent and the services and staff were 10/10. They went out of their way to accommodate us at breakfast due to having a child with special needs.

The Princes Marine hotel is good value for money and has everything we need. Situated on the sea front and within walking distance of the town. Or you can hire bikes to get to the town centre. Always an enjoyable stay.

Once again, another lovely long weekend at the Princes Marine. A nice clean and comfortable hotel in a good location with a bus stop right outside for a trip in to Brighton (if you do not fancy the 20 - 30 minute walk!!) or, Worthing etc. A slight issue quickly remedied by professional and caring staff and a very pleasant breakfast - although on this occasion, a bit chaotic with the waiting staff getting themselves in a complete muddle!! Needs a bit of co-ordination going forward. Always consistently good however, and another booking made for later in the year! Thank you!

Lovely hotel in a good location on the seafront, very clean and comfortable rooms, excellent food in the restaurant and a very tasty well cooked breakfast. Good wifi connection and very friendly smiley staff. Our second stay at this hotel and will certainly be booking this hotel again the next time we are in the area

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff were most helpful and the cleanliness was to a high level. Bus stop is immediately outside the hotel where you can get the 700 bus into Brighton, which only takes approx 15 mins, so conveniently located. Look forward to coming back in the spring when we can hopefully enjoy it even more under a near normal service.

Only complaint would be lack of temperature control in the room but this was more than made up for by the comfort, cleanliness and views from the balcony/private terrace and windows. Service in the restaurant by Erica was fantastic and the friendliness and care from the reception manager (Christine) exemplary. A hotel we will use again.

everything about our overnight stay in the hotel was excellent. All covid secure measures in a calm and unfussy way. Staff polite and welcoming. Room with sea view and balcony perfect. We didn't use the restaurant other than for breakfast Well organised and good. food. Will definitely return.

I took 2 friends away to Brighton as our Paris horse racing trip was cancelled. I booked the hotel as a last min thing.i was very happy with my decision there was a small car park at the back of the hotel free to residents.do we parked free for the 3 days. We had a lovely spacious room number 39.lovely comfortable beds.plenty of tea. coffee hot chocolate biscuits fresh tales a lovely view of the sea what a great day we had friendly staff a a nice little breakfast room we couldn't have asked her anymore will definitely go again.

Check in online was easy. The hotel has hand sanitiser everywhere. The restaurant was well run and very clean. The hotel is situated close enough to easily walk to “the lanes”. Car parking is available for free. Prince's marine is a really great hotel. We've visited a couple of times. The staff remember us which is lovely and it's nice to see the same staff. The views from our room are wonderful day and night. Good soundproofing too

Our twenty four hour experience in Brighton and Hove was made really enjoyable by our stay at the Princes Marine Hotel. Not only was the car well cared for but so were my wife and I. We had a lovely sea view room and enjoyed the restaurant both for the evening meal and breakfast. Thank you.

Stayed in Room 50 (The Sea) for one night. Cost £115. Room looked bigger on the website, but was quite small. Booked it for the balcony as i am a smoker, but you couldnt smoke there so i had to go downstairs from 5th floor to have one. Comfy bed, good large tv, and the usual tea and coffee facillities. Bathroom was clean, but no air fan to disperse Toilet using smells. For an executive room I would have expected it. I did spot something black rushing around on the floor though, not a spider. More like a little black line. The Cooked breakfast for £14 was a joke. The bacon looked like it had only seen a frying pan, poached egg tasted like rancid water, one sausage, (i didnt have the tomato or mushrooms), and cheapest Beans i have ever seen or eaten. I am just glad that it was included in our price and that we didnt have to pay the extra for it. Car park was tight to get into, So be aware if you have a large car I would stay again, but would book a cheaper room and definately not have the Breakfast.

Hotel was located right next to the bus stop. It was very convenient and fast to get to the city center. Room we got was very big and spacious. We had bathtub in the room so we could make a hot bath after whole day spent on sightseeing. View from the room was stunning. Beautyful view on the sea was amazing. There was no airconditioning but we were provided with a fan. I really liked this hotel, definitely will be back.

Parking was on a first come first served basis in the small car park. This was not made clear at the point of booking on the web site! The staff were extremely helpful and polite and I cannot fault their service. All of the areas of the hotel I went through or stayed in were very clean.

I have stayed at Princes Marine many times - enough to know that Room 7 on the first floor is terrible. It was noisy particularly from the ice machine and the internet connection was intermittent and poor quality. I was particularly disappointed as I had specifically requested an upper floor When I made my reservation as I know that it is quieter and I have never had a problem with the internet on the other floors. I had a zoom call to make in the morning which wasn't going to be possible and the noise meant I couldn't sleep. I therefore took the decision to check out. The receptionist and night reception/security were extremely friendly and helpful but the issues were too great. I did get a refund of £1.90 in coins for the breakfast that I didn't have!

We booked a top floor exectutive room for 2 nights and found it very nice.This is not a plush type of hotel so don't expect that, but more basic plus !!. The breakfast was good and we had a evening meal one night which was also nice. We took advantage of the free car park , if you can get a space, at the rear of the hotel. A warning, the entrance is very tight indeed. It took us about 30 minutes to walk into the centre of Brighton and one night we took a taxi to the marina which cost us £14. If you want a drink at night and want a pub atmosphere there was a nice place around the corner up the side road.

A lovely hidden gem of a hotel with friendly staff who go the extra mile. Very comfy,peaceful and exceptionally clean. The food was scrumptious and plentiful. Look forward to seeing the team next year....

Really enjoyed our stay nice room with a sea view and balcony. The staff were uniformerly excellent. Positive friendly and welcoming. The freshley cooked breakfast was fab Located on the front close to some good restaurants. Was reassured by the steps BW has taken with regards to social distancing and reducing the impact of Covid-19. Happy to recommend

Staying at the Best Western hotel at the moment and have to say the customer service has been brilliant. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the rooms we're staying in are nice and well cleaned and maintained.

The room not worth the cost, no air con and if open the windows, dreadful traffic noise on main road, tried to park but no spaces in car park so told to park elsewhere then returned from car park 3/4 mile away to find all other guests parked on hotel front area, I questioned this with staff as I asked if I could park at hotel and was told I had to try elsewhere - I complained but was just told - I must have been told wrong info from colleague - not helpful when Id just spect £24 on parking for weekend and walked 3/4 mile back from carpark with a bad leg. Im a Fire Saftery Officer and complained about the two storerooms outside my room that had been left open - with big signs saying - 'fire door - keep locked ' only to be told by reception that its ok, its only the cleaners cupboard and where the towels are stored - its always left open ! So to sum up - not helpful with parking, rooms not up top standard of what I would expects and staff not aware of the fire regulations/safety for the hotel - definitely wont be stayiong there again. And if you go in the summer, take some earplus ( unless you like the sound of heavy traffic to relax you ) and you just get a desktop fan in your room rather than aircon so itll be warm i the room !

Like most of us holiday plans are different this year. I admit I had worries staying somewhere that other people had been! On arrival the staff were welcoming and reassuring with hand gel plentiful around the hotel. The rooms are not serviced unless you would like them to be, therefore reducing risk in the room. Staff wear masks at breakfast, with everything cooked fresh for you. There is a small bar that also serves food, although we didn't eat there it looked lovely! The bar staff were very friendly and happy to give us ice and an ice bucket for our room. Our room was perfect, very clean with two comfy chairs positioned in front of a large window overlooking the sea! A short trip across the road and you are on the beach or the start of the promenade to walk to the pier. There is also a good pub not far called The Better Half Will definitely return!

I stayed here for 2 nights last weekend and I had a great stay. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. I didn't have a sea view room but the views from the restaurant and bar were lovely overlooking the sea so I would go for a sea view room next time. Generous breakfast portions too. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Brighton and Hove. Thank you for ensuring I had a lovely stay for my first trip after lockdown and following social distances measures throughout the hotel

The room was very clean and quiet in the evening which meant we got a good night's sleep. The hotel has been fully kitted out for social distancing with hand sanitiser dispensers everywhere and all staff wearing appropriate face masks. As always, the full English breakfast was excellent and Jessica is a super waitress.

We stayed here in 2019 and were walking out of the room on our second day and the bathroom extractor fan was on fire, flames licking up the wall. MY Kids were crying and I averted disaster by managing to put it out with a wet towel. The fire brigade was called as the room was full of thick smoke. I had then had to NEGOTIATE a discount with the reception on leaving. The extractor was replaced but had possibly caught fire through dust accumulation. Happy to verify the fire brigade being called out as I am sure they keep a record.

Visited this place several times over the last few months for business purposes. Cleanliness, polite staff and food in the restaurant was simply incredible. I highly recommend this place. Also about a half an hour walk into town and as it's this is located on the sea front it's a pleasurable experience.

Spent two nights at this hotel over the last weekend. Friendly, helpful staff and very good choice of breakfast. Bedroom and bathroom both clean and included a selection of toiletries. Location good and overlooking the sea. Easy 15-20 walk to local eateries and short drive to the centre of Brighton. Great value for money and would definitely stay here again.

We had two nights at this hotel. Not much to look at from the outside, but a fantastic place. Very comfortable, very friendly, very welcoming. Good facilities and location. View over the sea and handy for visiting Brighton. Shops and faclilities nearby. Staff were excellent, particularly in the bar and restaurant. Food at the resataurant was absolutely superb. Some of the best cooking we have experienced. The best calamari this side of the Alps! Portions are very big, so beware of over ordering. Parking can be an issue, so refer to the hotel's website for more info.

Great place to stay whilst on the south coast. Courteous and helpful reception team including the night team. Lovely breakfast. Parking was good but tight. Had an evening snack in the bar and that was well presented and tasty.

Lovely seafront location, in easy walking distance to all amenities. Good sized, well equipped room and an excellent breakfast. Parking free but difficult, but large car park available opposite at a reasonable rate.

A very nice room overlooking the seafront with an enjoyable breakfast. Well looked after by all the staff. Safe car parking which is a bonus for Brighton and a bus stop right outside the front door if when you are visiting the centre of Brighton you dont need to worry about finding a place to park your car.

Close to the sea but it is a tight squeeze to the parking area. Not much street parking unless you pay. Room good, breakfast pretty good. Clean and comfortable, staff were good. Some traffic noise on lower floors

I pre-booked the hotel for a business trip on a special deal that was advertised on the Best Western website. My room was wonderful. It wasn't a sea view, as I didn't need that, but it was so spacious, clean, well-furnished and extremely comfortable. In retrospect I wished I had brought my wife with me too. The breakfasts are excellent with a varied choice and I also enjoyed the bar meal I had on two nights. With a nice glass of Merlot, the steak and ale pie with crisply cooked vegetables is to die for. I like the staff there too. They are very welcoming, efficient and courteous but without being 'in-your-face'. Because I was working into the evenings quite late, I missed out on the hotel's limited parking spaces, but on all three nights I was able to park quite easily in the bays on the main road very near to the front of the hotel, so it was reasonably safe, convenient and free of charge. The internet connection was faultless too. In terms of value-for-money, this was as good a hotel stay as I can ever remember and I stay in hotels a lot.

I've stayed here quite a few times now, this time I shared a twin room with my friend but have stayed with my children, my partner, and even on my own on previous visits; I've always had a very comfortable and undisturbed sleep staying here, and have always encountered very friendly helpful staff, Maria (I hope I got her name right) is lovely and really helped us out when we had to book another night unexpectedly, but a special mention must go to Dave the night security guard who is always eager to please guests and always friendly and helpful, nothing seems to much trouble for him, he's a real asset to the hotel. This time I didn't have breakfast or meals at the hotel but have other times and can highly recommend it. Will definitely be returning to this hotel again. I have stayed in others in main Brighton before I first stayed here but now it's this hotel for me every time. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel to get to main Brighton and reception also call a taxi for you if you prefer to go by taxi (which arrives in only a matter of minutes). Hove shopping is only a short walk behind the hotel too, George Street is the go to for shops there and there's a big Tesco there too if you need it.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and we were very pleased that we had chosen it. The situation in Hove proved to be excellent with a bus stop outside the hotel with a direct link to Brighton centre. The corner room we were allocated on the top floor (5th) had a very good view of the beach and surrounding area. It appeared that the room had been refurbushed and was extremely comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was good with a good choice of items and served by friendly staff. We also had one dinner in the evening which we enjoyed. If we visit the area again in the future we know that we would stay at this hotel again.

The Best Western chain offers reasonably priced rooms, and is typically reliable. Not so for the Best Western Princes Marine Hotel in Hove. Lovely view, but our visit was spoiled because our reservation--which was supposed to be a Best Western Rewards members bed and breakfast special, turned out not to include breakfast. Even though we are BW Rewards members, and booked online for this special price, the hotel treated our reservation as a non-members, room-only stay. We found this out when we tried to order breakfast. The hotel manager, in typical UK fashion, said there was nothing she could do, even though the member rate was still available online--£80 for room only; £85 for room + breakfast. Instead she offered to let us order breakfast at the reduced price of £10 each. Instead, we checked out. A call to UK Best Western customer service brought the same response; nothing we can do. So for their inability to correct the mistake and give us the breakfast we had already paid for, the hotel lost the £85 we would have paid for our second night. They probably don't care about that loss, since I'm sure they make their real profit during high season in the summer. Still, you'd think a hotel would want some occupancy during low season and retain the loyalty of Rewards customers.

I have been to this hotel a few times now, and it just gets better. There is a direct bus service into Brighton or Worthing from just outside. The staff are really friendly on reception and in the breakfast room. Rooms are clean and spacious, and the internet access is excellent.

We chose this hotel as our base for our families to stay as a meeting point to go on to family events over the weekend. It was just what we all needed, clean, and well-appointed- not too far to travel for the various family events

The Best Western is in a great location, our room was comfortable and spacious, quiet and we had a wonderful sea view on the 4th floor. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice from smoked haddock, eggs florentine/benedict, full English, omelettes, continental, fresh fruit basically the works! The staff were all exceptionally happy and helpful from the moment we checked in and throughout our stay. We were particularly impressed with the assistance provided to the less able guests, the staff needed no prompting but were helpful in a respectful way. Erica and Phillip were particularly attentive to us, however so were all the other staff. We look forward to staying in this hotel again hopefully sooner rather than later.

Stayed for one night whilst away for business. The room was clean and tidy and the hotel located a 10 minute walk away from plenty of restaurants. Breakfast was slight underwhelming, which was a disappointment. I would stay here again but probably skip breakfast.

I don't usually write reviews but really feel the need to as I feel Dave the night receptionist is very undervalued, I saw him deal with some absolute idiots tonight in such a calm manner, I have stayed a few times here and I have to say that Dave is the reason we love it here. His magic tricks are such a personable touch, we had to write this review as he really does always make everyone so happy including us, and he also remembered me from when I stayed 5years ago! Best receptionist ever ❤️ Always looks after us so well, nothing's too much trouble and makes everyone feel so comfortable, the only receptionist I've met that's not cold and robotic , so thankyou Dave! Also very nice rooms!

This was the fourth or fifth time we have stayed at the Princes Marine when visiting Brighton & Hove. Once again, a very good experience with a lovely room, excellent breakfast, very good value, attentive staff and extremely convenient for Brighton with a bus stop right outside! Add to this free parking and wi-fi and it can only be summed up as very good! We will hopefully be staying here again in the future!

I live in Spain and like to visit my grandchildren so 4 or 5 times a year I stay at the Best Western princess marine. I am welcomed with a smile every time Manu and Diana couldn't be nicer and there is Dave the night porter always greeting me with a joke. The owners are very “hands on” and do everything to make the guest comfortable. Beautiful rooms great breakfasts and excellent value. PERFECT

We had a lovely but fairly small double room with a very small balcony and a beautiful sea view. There were some fold up chairs to use on the balcony, which we used as the weather was so good in spite of the time of year. It was great to have free parking including some disabled spaces at the front and a lift for those with walking difficulties. The staff were all very friendly. Unfortunately the breakfast was disappointing - the item I'd ordered certainly was, but my husband loved his cooked 'Full English'. The coffee wasn't great and the croissants were burnt and disguised with icing sugar, meaning they couldn't be eaten with savoury fillings. The fresh fruit and meats were lovely. However, if they improve the coffee and serve what's advertised, not burning it, this would be a really lovely place to stay. We walked into Brighton and it took about 25 minutes. I believe there is a bus stop into town right outside. There is nothing on the sea front in Brighton with free parking. It's definitely worth a visit - and bag a balcony room with sea view if you can!

Really spot on. From the staff to the hotel. Made my short stay seeing my friends just that much better. We had some friends stay with us in the hotel and met some friends who lived nearby, to which the hotel was focal point. Could not think of any place better. Great service, great staff, great food. Could not ask for more.

Efficient reception, very good food for both dinner and breakfast and comfortable room with most amenities you might require including a non-slip rubber bath mat. The only downside for me was the limited parking and the narrowness of the entrance/passageway to the rear car park.

Parking the only problem, entrance to car park too tight for my car, hence had to park on the street. Good breakfast and a good basic hotel which is close enough to the centre of Brighton, too far to walk, but bus stop outside hotel.

We spent 6 nights at Best Western in Hove. Excellent in every way. Hotel lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn't be more welcomimg. Well situated hotel for travel around area (train and bus) and walks into Brighton. Coastal bus serviuce very good also.

This is my favourite hotel in Brighton as it is small enough to offer a friendly and professional service. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It is on the seafront so nice sea views particularly from the 5th floor rooms where there is a very small balcony. Unfortunately the breakfast service was very poor on my visit which spoilt the trip for me as it was one of the few hotels who still offered a personal service rather than the impersonal buffet service of the other chain hotels.

Previous encounters with the Best Western brand have not always been good and I level some criticism at this marketing group for not policing the quality of their member hotels more thoroughly. The poorer hotels reflect badly on the better ones. The Princes Marine Hotel is definitely one of the better ones and deserves a better reputation than Best Western, by association, gives it. We chose to spend a little more and selected a sea view room with balcony on the fifth floor. This was comfortable, clean and well furnished. There were even a couple of fold up chairs for the balcony if required. The bathroom was clean and the shower over the bath quite strong with plenty of hot water. Comfortable large bed although rather inferior pillows. Uninterrupted views of the sea were a definite bonus but with all upsides there is a downside - in this instance the very noisy road in front of the hotel. A stuffy room and little noise or an airy room with open window and noise throughout the night. Take your pick. What makes this hotel is the staff - efficient, friendly and very keen to please. And the standard of food prepared for both dinner and breakfast. The wide choice, quality and presentation of all dishes was excellent and we congratulate the chefs and the kitchen. OK, the car park is small and accessed via a very narrow entrance but it's free and with buses every 10 minutes right outside the hotel, leaving the car there once parked was not a problem. So thank you and well done Princes Marine Hotel for raising the Best Western profile with us.

Never stayed in a Best Western before so I don't know if this was typical but I was very impressed.a bit out if Brighton centre but all the nicer for it. Just 3 bus stops to the centre and a 10 minutes service. The room was large and comfortable the staff friendly and helpful.

Booked an executive room on line requesting a shower, not a bath. Had a phone call the day before arrival to say only free executive was with bath but could have a premier room with a shower. Accepted that but on checking out the bill was for an executive room even though we mentioned it on arrival. The receptionist did correct the bill when we explained it to her. Room was acceptable, had a full level access shower and would be suitable for someone who is mobility impaired although not a wheelchair user. Room got quite warm and unfortunately couldn't leave windows open overnight as the promenade road below is busy all night long so noisy. Closing the windows did remove the traffic noise. Breakfast was ok, cooked breakfast being served to the table. The cold buffet according to my wife was a little limited. Parking is limited as advertised, what isn't mentioned is the access to the rear car park is very narrow with high brick walls both sides, lots of evidence of cars scraping the walls. Drive with extreme care.

We stayed for four nights room only as we like a lie in rather than breakfast. Our room was at the back of the hotel on the first floor but the car park below didn't bother us. Our large room was well furnished and even had room for two chairs and a little table. It was beautifully clean. We ate in the restaurant twice and greatly enjoyed our food. Reception staff were polite and helpful. The 700 bus to Brighton stops right outside the door......couldn't be better and there are lovely restaurants 10 mns walk away.

My mother and I stayed here last weekend to attend a friend's wedding. The location is wonderful - right across from the beach. I have to say that all the staff were exceptionally helpful both before we arrived, and after we arrived. Our hotel rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were nice however we did have some issues. In my room the bed was uncomfortable and the springs could be felt through the mattress. Also the hairdryer is extremely old, located in the desk drawer, and you have to hold your finger down on the button the whole time to use it which is very difficult for people who have arthritis like me. The hairdryer's need to be updated. There is no iron or ironing board in the room. Also the Wi-Fi continually goes out as you move from room to room. As I went from my room to my mother's room or down to reception or into the breakfast room, the Wi-Fi constantly goes out which is a real pain and you constantly have to reconnect. There is parking behind the hotel but we barely got our SUV through the space. It is very tight. However there is street parking. In my mothers room, which was a disabled room, there is a wet room which was great, but the person before her must not have used the door in the wet room shower because the carpet was wet right into the bedroom. If it had not been for these issues, we would have given the hotel 4*. Great choice of breakfast items and if you book breakfast in advance you can get a discount. Very nice and helpful staff :-)

A lovely little hotel 25 mins pleasant walk from Brighton centre,free car parking,polite staff,room very clean,with lovely views over the seafront and sensible price,We would be happy to stay there again.

The hotel is easy to find, on the seafront at Kingsway. The room was large and comfortable but the window does not block any outdoor noise from a busy road and boisterous Sat night drinkers. Staff were helpful and friendly on check-in. Parking is limited but there is plenty of paid street parking. Not many sockets and none near the bed. Cleanliness OK. Storage very good. Clock radio provided but no hairdryer in the room. Extra duvet available, fan, radiator.

We have stayed at this hotel three times now, the staff are friendly helpful and welcoming. The room's are always clean comfortable, and fairly spacious with everything you could need. We have always been very happy with our stay and I'm sure we will be back.

Welcoming hotel with sea view and car park. Staff friendly, helpful and cheerful. The choice, quality and preparation of food excellent. This was our 4th visit to this hotel and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Princes Marine.

This hotel is lovely. We stayed for 2 nights whilst down in Brighton for a concert and as we found hotels in Brighton more expensive we opted to stay in Hove. About a 20 minute plus walk to Brighton or very easy and cheap to jump into an Uber. Hotel itself clean, comfortable. Lovely big family room with 2 double beds and 2 single beds. Friendly staff. Breakfast very nice and freshly cooked. Only thing is they could have done with some more staff breakfast time especially on the Sunday morning as it was very busy and we were waiting quite a while for service. We liked it very much and are staying again for a family wedding next May.

We really liked our room. It was clean, roomy and had lovely views to the sea. Building is quite old but nicely renovated. The location in the peaceful area a few miles from the Brighton centre was great. Service and food both ok!

The location on the advertisement clearly states in the first paragraph, that the hotel is situated on Brighton's sea front, it is nowhere near this hotel is in HOVE, we are fit people and it took us 1 hour to walk along the promenade to brighton its self, so don't be fooled , there is a bus outside the number 700 which takes 20 to get to the clock tower in the centre of town and after midnight there is only a skeleton service. The receptionist was very pleasant on arrival and departure, also the restaurant staff are very pleasant too. The breakfast was excellent cooked to order and very delicious too. The rooms are very nicely decorated. But to our horror very dirty some of the dust had been there for weeks. The phone didn't work i had to use my mobile to phone the night porter. The lovely receptionist told us that the bar was open 24 hours we came back to the hotel on saturday night, i asked the night porter for two glasses of red wine he point blank refused, we wasn't inebriated in the slightest, when i asked why i was being refused he said i us my disgresion , i did quote to him that the receptionist told me at breakfast time the bar was 24 hours. I went up stairs to my room and tried to phone the night porter to no avail permanently engaged tone so i phoned the mane number off my mobile and he answered. Eventually i got him to serve me . Absolutely disgusting attitude and servive. And i paid £227 per night for the privilege. I would never recomend this hotel to anybody. Definately over priced and mis sold in the discription on booking .com

Conveniently situated for the promenade into Brighton. Bus stop outside. Short walj to the main street of Hove and access to restaurants, shops and bars. Bus service very regular if you have difficulty walking. It is mainly flat ecxeot for the lanes in Brighton. Manageable hilly streets. Lots of lovely shops, pubs and restaurants.

Good location, friendly and efficient check in and all round good value for money. The rooms are very clean, with comfortable double beds, spotless bathrooms and good showers. Absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay in Hove or neighbouring Brighton.

I have just spent a week at this hotel due to work. The room was clean and comfy, be prepared for the ‘gulls chorus' around 5am ! Staff were friendly and helpful especially morning waitress's. One of the best breakfast selections I've had in a hotel chain of this level. I had a couple of evening meals and same as b'fast good quality and quantity. Well done to the chef. Car park free which is rare in Brighton. I would overall say good value for money and good experience

This is our second visit to Best Western Marine Hotel. We stayed in room 52, a fab comfortable room with a balcony & sea view. Great service, nice buffet breakfast. Free parking & a bus stand outside hotel which cost £6.80 for 2 people day return to Brighton. Its about 45 minutes walk into Brighton (either via sea front or Church Road). Good range of bars & restaurants in Church Road Hove within 5 -10 minutes walk. Love it in this hotel, near to all amenities & restaurants etc but far enough from Brighton to avoid the nightclubs. Friendly hotel staff & reception. Parking is free but limited, but cheap parking opposite hotel on Hove seafront. Opposite Hove Lawns & near Hove Lagoon.

Very nice room. Extremely clean and comfortable. The view is excellent. Choose a room with a sea view. If I were to return in the area, I would definitely choose this hotel. I also liked the fact that it was in Hove which is much quieter than Brighton.

I stay regularly (2 nights per week). The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Great location near to the seafront and bus right outside if you want to go to Brighton. Fabulous choice for breakfast. Competitively priced for area.

Group of 9 of us in 5 rooms in late June. Have to say that the rooms were in good order, all with adequate facilities and comfortable, The breakfast is really top notch. A wide choice including several fish options (the poached haddock with poached eggs is particularly good) and the staff waiting on at breakfast are excellent. Overall very good value and certainly recommended.

Good value hotel on the Hove end of Brighton & Hove. Visited on a weekend in June and the ‘party' had 4 rooms. All very clean / well equipped and value for money. There is a small free car park at the rear of the hotel. Staff all very friendly. The communal area's downstairs functional rather than enticing. A minute to walk to the beach and a good promenade to walk into Brighton.

My room had a great sea view, although that meant a bit of road noise, also some noise from drinkers in the bar below me. However I had a good sleep. Rooms a bit dated but fine. Staff very helpful. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

nice hotel,room and good staff but no atoasphere in the public areas (shame). small car park.we had a top floor room on the end with sea view and a small balcony and we found to be a bit crimped as the central ones are wider but very comfortable.

We stayed in one of the family rooms here for a few days. Very clean rooms, very good, helpful house keeping staff. Infact all the staff in the restaurant and reception were great.So helpful. Definitely worth getting the sea view. Very accommodating to elderly guests and they have a lift. Shower was ok but be aware it's not step free in some of the rooms but in the bath. Could be only the family rooms but worth stipulating if you need it. Restaurant is very good and reasonably priced for quality. They do have room service but a paired down menu. There is parking too. I would definitely recommend and stay again!

The hotel is quite dated but essentially was clean. The staff were helpful and polite. The food in the bar was excellent. The small window in our seaview room wouldn't close properly which led to quite a lot of noise from the busy main road overnight. The room was clean but in need of a lick of paint. The car park is small with a narrow entrance/exit.

Had a 2 night stay booked upon arrival at checking we were allowed access to the room well before the 15:00 check in time. Our room was on the 3rd floor but no problem with the lift booked a sea view and was impressed with the size and cleanliness of the room, appeared to have been recently decorated. All going well until and maintenance man tried to get into room to check for a ‘leak'. Slept very well but woken up by the light coming through the edges of the blackout curtains, the bed was very comforable, there was some road noise but this didn't bother us. Nice size bathroom - could have done with an extra shelf and hooks. Following day we got back to the room fairly late and noticed there was only one coffee cup (and this had been left in the bathroom!) so next day only one of us could have a morning cuppa. The location is nice – about 20 min walk from Hove station about 30 mins to walk into Brighton (good way to burn off those sea-side chips!) I don't think we had a great room rate as we went down to see the Elton John concert in Hove so think all hotels put up their prices as the hotel seemed very full. None of the minor points above would stop me staying again, i think i preferred staying in Hove to Brighton

We decided to spend a night here to try it out for a possible place to stay for friends or relatives that come to visit us. We had room 37 which has a great seaview. Bed was comfortable, room clean, shower and bath good and not to noisy at night with the main road below. We had dinner here. My wife loved her burger while I had two starters after having a roast elsewhere that day. Service was excellent and thank you to the lovely receptionist who gave us a seaview room. All in all a nice hotel. Glad to find somewhere close to us where we can recommend to relatives and friends visiting when our place is full.

If you arrive early enough you can get a parking spot behind the hotel although the entrance is rather narrow and spaces are limited otherwise you would have park on the street and pay. The rooms are simple but clean although the bed was a bit wobbly felt like I was sleeping on a water bed if I moved. Staff are friendly and helpful and check in and out went quickly. The breakfast was disappointing especially for the amount of money they ask for it. I would go to a cafe up the road next time for half the price. There is a good bus service outside the door but there are also a number of buses just up the road to the left of the hotel which are regular into the center by bus it takes 10 minutes. We took a taxi back from the center it cost around £7 in the evening. I would consider staying again if I was in the area.

A week away for a change of scenery from our Devon coast. The Best Western is close to the seafront in a quiet area of Hove and has a free, limited spaces, car park at the rear and a few slots at the front. Well worth trying to get your car in if you can and if you are like us and intend to use your bus passes to get about, the No 700 bus stops right outside the hotel and you can use your passes after 9.30 am. Super staff, friendly and helpful - too many to mention them all but Christine is a calm, professional influence on reception and Radek in the bar looked after us very well and was interesting to talk with. We had a lovely holiday but not everything was a bed of roses at the hotel. A phone call the day before we travelled revealed that they had no record of us - this was booked 3 months ago and luckily we had a reference number. We were upgraded to an Executive Room on the top floor which saved the day. Other little niggles included not getting the newspaper we ordered on day one and several problems with catering. A room service white bread sandwich arrived toasted, a toasted bap from the bar menu arrived with one of the main ingredients missing and the vegetables with another meal were hard and inedible. The breakfasts were superb and as well as the usual Continental, full English, cereals and fruit, it was possible to order some interesting combinations with bagels etc. Hove and Brighton are interesting places to visit. Brighton is very cosmopolitan and buzzing with people seemingly having a good time. Lots to see and do but sadly the coast and beaches are not a patch on those in Devon.

Sunny short break excellent hotel location brilliant parking cost on street at the side good value . Never stayed in Hove what a contrast to the hustle and bustle of Brighton The seafront straight across the road is a real bonus.

We have stayed on numerous occasions at this hotel as we have family in Brighton and have always had a good stay. The food is very good quality and reasonably priced and the staff are helpful and friendly. Well placed on the sea front in Hove with easy access to Brighton as well

Stayed here for 2 nights and I have to say I was really impressed with the quality of rooms that are on offer here. Beds extremely comfy and rooms with good amenities. Clearly a lot of investment has been made to ensure their standards are at the top. I've stayed here many times over the years and each time it's the best I've had tho the previous were faultless too. As always the food has been a high standard and the chef has remained the same for all the years that I've visited. I will be certainly returning here on my next visit to the area and can't recommend staying here enough. With fantastic sea views and Easy Access into Brighton this hotel is a must for me and very reasonable too. Keep up the good work all at Princes Marine !!

Location, location, location. Seafront beautiful and only steps away. Stroll the promenade and sit at the seafront cafe with a liquid refreshment of your choice. Transportation a breeze, able to travel throughout Sussex with a reasonable bus pass. Walking distance to shops and churches.

The hotel offers a great view on the sea and is very close to Brighton (10 minutes by bus in front of the hotel). Our room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view on the sea. We really appreciate our stay and would like to thank you all the staff especially Manu at the reception !

We stayed a few nights as we were at a family funeral. Parking was limited on arrival late evening as a few cars had taken disabled spots with out having badges. Reception did you eventally get them to move their van but be aware that general parking is limited and if you work on the roadside, it'll need moving first thing. All rooms were large and nicely decorated. Our double bed was two single beds put together which made it very uncomfortable for a couple. The shower was quite weak but usable. Plenty of storage and nice sized TV. The huge lift was brilliant for all our family and bags. There is work going on at the front of the hotel at the moment which from around 8am we could hear some slight banging with. We were mostly up by then but if you are wanting a lie in you may want to ask about this. Breakfast was nice and plentyfull. The porridge was lovely. Coffee was rather weak. The most annoying part of breakfast was that some of the staff really struggled with English and ordering food was often slow and you had to keep repeating yourself over and over. Don't want to sound a grump but being able to understand and speak English to a certain level should be a pre requisite. Generally, staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We did find that booking on the phone was way more expensive than online, like a third in price! Overall, for the price paid eventually online, the hotel was good. While there are areas they could definitely improve on, I would still consider staying there again. I would definitely insist on a double bed where it's one large bed as some are and some are two single beds. The Ginger Pig restaurant/pub around the corner is outstanding for evening meals so check this out, we didn't have evening food and drink at the hotel so I cannot review this.

Loved the location and the room was fantastic, as we had a superior room with a balcony. The staff were friendly and very efficient. We had an overcharge on the room which is taking time to rectify but other than that no complaints.

The location of this hotel is excellent, close to amenities and many restaurants, and free parking a big bonus. Beautiful sea view from our very comfortable room. We chose not to eat at the hotel as so many restaurants and beach bars on the doorstep.

It seems that booking.com only publish positive reviews. We stayed 2 nights ; the first of which was an absolute shocker. There is a serious issue with plumbing noise and we had no sleep at all. They had no hesitation in changing our room in the morning( whilst still charging us ). A staff member old us that this is not an uncommon event when they forget to trigger some sort of control device !! Otherwise the hotel was fine but I think guests should have access to some sort of warning that this event might happen to them. Booking.com did not share our review -- we hope you will. Have been here several times and will continue to do so. Rooms are clean, comfortable and warm. Breakfast is excellent. Bar opening times very flexible. However, what makes this place unique is the staff; all, without exception, are friendly, professional and helpful. Just love the place.

I have stayed here many times over the past twenty years and it has always proved to be a very friendly and courteous family hotel. All the staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is as good as possible. Excellent breakfast and bar menu together with very good restaurant food variety. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with wi-fi and tea making facilities.

We stayed here for a weekend visit and were pleasantly surprised at the quality. A large room and bathroom with a great view over the seafront. A limited number of free parking spaces are available but the access is quite narrow. Breakfast choice was good and the staff all pleasant. As the seaview room looks over a main road there is some noise intrusion, but overall a reasonable choice for a short stay in Brighton and Hove.

From outside the hotel looked very plain and small. It is located right on the seafront main road a d has a large car park which in Brighton is a real bonus. The interior was smart a d well presented. The check in process was quick a d efficient. The room was clean, smaft and spacious so very pleased indeed. Reasonable priced food and a pleasant bar. Dedicated lu lic free phone to taxi service and a five minute drive to Brighton centre. Very inexpensive so we will be using this hotel again on our next visit. All in all a good deal. indeed

We had one night in Brighton & Hove to catch up with family and friends who live there. This hotel is warm, comfortable and good value, the main plus being that it has a private "off road" car park which is free, on a "first come" basis. We had a nice room on the 3rd floor with a sea view which was wonderful as the weather was great. The only down-side being the noisy main road immediately outside the front. If you want quiet then book a rear room and sacrifice the view. There was a very good breakfast with really friendly and helpful staff.

We've stayed here a number of times of the years and have never had cause for complaint. It's in a nice location in Hove so not too far from Brighton (about a 30 minute good paced walk) but there are bus stops close by of you prefer. A decent number of pubs, shops, eateries nearby and literally 2 minutes from the beach. The hotel has always been clean and the staff friendly and welcoming. It has also has limited free parking which is a massive plus point in Brighton and Hove! Good breakfasts too.

The hotel was very nice with a nice large room. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, especially Dave, and the room service was great. However parking is extremely limited at the hotel and is a first come first serve basis. The breakfast also took quite a while, with only one server as the other two, apparently one who was in training, just stood there. This was annoying as we needed to get moving and found the two staff standing around very unhelpful. Otherwise a great hotel!

Had a wonderful night here, booked Hove so we weren't in the busy area of Brighton. Hotel is around 3 miles from the main pier but it's a lovely 40min walk along the sea front. Parking is also free here so we saved a good amount of money rather than parking at an NCP in the centre. Car park entrance is incredibly tight though. Uber from Brighton centre to hotel back in the evening was only £7. The room was 4th floor, sea view, amazing. Massive room, 3 singles and a double, big bathroom with two sinks, Hugh tub,Large wardrobe, large TV, seating area, just perfect. Carpet seemed to be new, felt luxurious under your feet. Breakfast was the icing on the cake, a buffet for cold items and then made to order hot food from full English, poached eggs to pastrami bagels, they really have thought of everything. Service by the girls at breakfast was also excellent and their knowledge on food allergies was second to none. Only slight negative was the shower pressure wasn't great up on the 4th floor and the head kept slipping down due to it weight. I like a powerful hot shower lol We can't wait to come back, was lovely to walk onto the beach after breakfast to get some sea air

Room 53 was excellent - highly recommend - the room was very large with a sofa area and panoramic sea views. Will definitely book this room again. We didn't use the restaurant in the evenings but the breakfast was very good.

For a one night stay we were looking for a quality hotel in a convenient quiet location on the sea front with comfortable contemporary room and appetising breakfast for a sensible price. This is exactly what we got here. The car park at the back of the hotel is very small, difficult to get in or out when full, but just outside overnight free street parking was available. Will definitely stay again

Good location, tastefully furnished room along with the corridors on each floor. Well equipped and comfortable bed. The food was a cut above the rest, refreshing menu with daily specials too. Great to see a chef taking pride in his work, spending time creating the individual elements of the dishes, instead of offering something that is quick and easy to produce. Excellent value too, definitely worth paying a visit just for the food! Again the cooked English breakfast was the best I've had in a long time, Tasty sausage, bacon cooked as it should be without any white residue... The half tomato core removed, little touches that makes it all the more enjoyable. Parking is limited on site but adjacent public pay and display very close by. Staff polite, helpful and well presented.

My Mum and my Auties came to Brighton to visit me and I've booked for them a room at the Best Western Marine. Everything was perfect. The room was so comfy and with a stunning sea view; staff is lovely and Miss Diana at the reception is just amazing, so helpful and very professional. We also had a three-course meal and we really enjoyed every single dish. Many compliments to the Chef Pasquale which is very attentive to every detail and make sure that everything is great. My family was so pleased with their stay and for sure they will come back here next time. We really recommend this place!

Great staff, wonderful location and parking. Ideally located with a sea view on the Kingsway at Hove. With beach huts in front of the hotel, it's a 20 minutes leisurely walk into the Lanes area or a 10 minutes stroll into the restaurant area of Hove. I'd highly recommend staying here especially with a young family and for all those who wish to explore Brighton!

I have reviewed this hotel before but after my last visit I feel as if I have to update my previous review (For The Better) the staff across the board have a 100% commitment feel about there attitude to looking after their guests. we ate in the hotel for bar snacks and dinner food was presented & cooked well produce was of good quality,bar prices are still competitive with outside venues.Basically had a great stay and will be going back. just read one of the questions below Ref. sleep quality ours was excellent apart from one night fire alarms went off at 04:00 turns out some idiot was smoking a cigar in his room,i don't know how they dealt with it , but this person should the following morning be asked to leave the property we all know the rules.

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal at The Channel View Restaurant located inside the Best Western Princes Marine Hotel. We booked using a Groupon voucher a great deal for a three-course meal for two. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and we were seated on time. Our waitress was amazing, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely lovely, freshly cooked and very tasty, compliments to the chef. We would gladly return and pay full price for a meal. We would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Return visit to this hotel, stayed here about 18 months ago. There have been some recent changes and redecoration that I'm told is still ongoing so it's good to see the owners investing back into their hotel. Reception check in was quick and hassle free and the friendly staff make you feel welcome. Rooms of a good size with comfortable bed, large tv and seating area too. Bathroom has ample towels and unending hot water. I ate in the bar in the evening and couldn't fault the food. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and continental buffet to help yourself to. Again the staff were friendly but but overbearing, greeted, seated, order taken, food delivered, checked all was ok and then they just said to let them know if you needed anything else. Check just as good as check in. Limited parking at hotel, but on street is free to park overnight, just make sure you pay during the day. Will definitely go back.

We stayed here to visit some friends in Hove so didn't need to be near Brighton but is close enough if you want to go into town easily enough. We've stayed at the Grand and others before but you honestly can't go wrong with this hotel if you want something clean, comfortable and warm and ever so reasonable value for the money. Unfortunately our stay involved a quick trip to hospital but the reception staff (Manu and colleagues) were so sympathetic and understanding to us and showed kindness and compassion. We made an effort to speak to our chambermaid who was again very kind and friendly. Also the lovely barman who looked after us with some snacks and drinks one night. A real family feeling. We booked this through BW for a break between Xmas and New Year. The hotel is in a great position looking directly out to the channel. Room was a good size and far better than the one we had In Cassis France. Facilities were also good. Breakfast buffet was good and food cooked to order well presented, staff were efficient and friendly.

We visit Brighton every year at Christmas to be with our son. This hotel is one of the rare ones with a small car park, which saves you money. The hotel itself and staff are absolutely fantastic. Rooms are nice and big with cosy comfortable beds, with ensuite facilities. Has its own restaurant with fantastic food. Bus can be caught right outside the front of the hotel for £3.30 return into Churchill Square. Couldn't ask for anything better.

Extremely comfortable hotel and such value for money. Bedroom was large and the double king size plus and a good night sleep was had. Warm room and very clean. Staff most obliging. Unfortunately did not have time for breakfast but what l saw looked good.

Our room had a fabulous sea view. It was clean and comfortable with loads of places to put your clothes if you were there for a while. The bed was large and just the right degree of softness. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with loads of choice for cooked food.

The room size was bigger than expected and the bed was 10/10 comfy!The restaurant was lovely and all members of staff were very welcoming and friendly!! Although I do live in Brighton, I would definitely stay here again ☺️

Enjoyed the stay here. Could not fault the staff and service. Had all that we wanted in our room. Very comfortable and easy to walk to the shops and other restaurants and pubs. All in all we would certainly book again. The only issue was the access to the rather limited free car parking area is quite narrow - so watch your wing mirrors!

What an amazing visit!!! Me and some friends visit Brighton occasionally and can never decide on where to stay, but after tonight we will come back here time and time again. Host Dave is amazing, attended to our every need (from 2am till dawn) no matter what! Comfy and spacious rooms and power showers. Hospitality at its finest. Spent a great couple of nights here at the weekend and were very impressed with the hotel. We had a sea view room which was spacious and very clean and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The Breakfast Menu was very varied with lots of choices in fact I don't think I have stayed any where with a better selection and the food was delicious. The Hotel has a good welcoming bar and car parking at the rear which is why we chose this hotel and so glad we did. Look forward to returning in the near future

Stayed last night and was thoroughly impressed with everything. The hotel staff were friendly, polite, helpful and above all, competent. The bedroom was very spacious, recently refurbished to a very high standard with all the mod-cons - definitely 4 or 5 star quality! Being quite a demanding customer when it comes to food (I am gluten free and dairy free) I was a bit concerned that breakfast would be limited but the hotel were great and able to provide me with a lovely cooked breakfast including poached eggs (as opposed to some establishments that only serve scrambled eggs as it is made from liquid rather than from a real egg!), gluten free bread, soya milk and all the trimmings. AND, they have free car parking for customers. AND a lively bar. What's not to like?!? Highly recommended.

We stayed here as a family in three sea view rooms. The views were amazing, the rooms spacious and clean, the staff friendly and helpful. With freshly cooked breakfasts. What's not to like? Ideally situated for the beach and buses into Brighton.

Firstly the good points.....the room was clean, spacious and the bed was really comfortable, nice linen etc. Bath room was ok, plenty of hot water and towels were nice too. This would be a great room for anyone on business , there was a desk, sofa and tea/coffee etc. This wasn't a sea view room, but if you stepped out onto the balcony you could see the sea. The hotel is right on the seafront and there is limited parking, although we didn't take our car this time. The negative points of this room being it was next to the lift, during the night the lift was noisy and made the bed vibrate so this did disturb me a bit. The bar area was ok, functional but not very relaxing in my opinion.. We didn't have breakfast but it did look very good and looked freshly cooked. The hotel was further out of town than I realised, but that's my mistake and would take about half an hour roughly to walk it. On the whole, this hotel is fine for an overnight stay, reasonably priced just shame about the noise of the lift .

Me and my boyfriend stayed there earlier on in the month for our anniversary, the food was lovely, the rooms were so clean and comfortable with lovely staff! We had good time at this hotel and we will definitely be coming to stay again!

I have been staying at this hotel, situated on Hove sea front, during the week for work for a number of years now. It's so good I have friends join me and we stay over the weekend! Ask for a sea view room. The staff are always incredibly helpful and friendly, and the food is amazing - just look at the menu! Sea front is across the road, lovely for evening strolls, or jump on the bus, which stops right outside and go into town.

Just returned from our first visit to wonderful Hove. The Hotel was fantastic, The beautiful sea view room was spacious, and comfortable. The food was superb and delicious, and the every member of staff was helpful, friendly, and polite. Looking forward very much to our next visit - can't wait!!!

Staying at The Best Western in Hove. Ideal location on sea front with easy walk into Brighton along promenade. Lovely room, friendly staff and superb food at reasonable price in restaurant. Wine good value too (£18.95 for a very nice Sauvignon Blamc). Highly recommend.

Away from the bustle (and noise) of much of Brighton, this hotel in Hove faces the sea and has a smart and welcoming ambience. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-appointed, with a clinically clean en-suite bath and shower, plus a generous supply of complimentary toiletries. The Channel View Restaurant for dinner and breakfast is quite superb, judged on the quality of the food. The breakfast menu offers massive choice for all tastes. Dinner in the evening provides a splendid choice too, including much fresh local fare. Each course is a picture on the plate. Excellent presentation, complementing the quality of food on the dish and a credit to the Chef.

We had a gorgeous family room looking out at the sea view. Room was spacious, more than what we needed. Clean and tidy. Staff helpful and polite. We were so busy exploring that we didn't get use all the facilities the hotel provided.

The hotel is right on the seafront, near great restaurants in Church Road in Hove. It's not the prettiest building from the outside, but I really liked my room on the top (5th) floor at the back. Big, comfortable, clean and completely quiet. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful and I wanted to stay on for longer!

I Stayed with a friend for one night. It's a good 30-40 minute walk from the hotel to the pier and the shops and restaurants but we enjoyed the walk and were fortunate to have lovely weather! Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Room was lovely and clean and we enjoyed our breakfast in the morning. Will definitely stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Our land view room was very spacious and cosy with a good sized television - all very good for the price. Bathroom was perfectly clean and modern. The staff were helpful, speedy and welcoming. We did not eat at the hotel as the breakfast was unreasonably priced for us students. The walk to Brighton pier was about 40 mins which was not what was advertised to us on the website.

This 54 room Boutique hotel is across the road from a lovely beach - right on the English Channel. It's quiet and very pleasant and it has a small FREE PARKING lot right behind the building. It's recently undergone a complete update and renovation so the rooms are nicely done and clean and new. There is a restaurant and a bar on the street floor and from our experience they are well managed, reasonably priced and the food is nicely done and service very good. Our room for our 6 night stay was referred to as a "Family Room". It was large. We had a king bed and two single beds. We were located on the front of the hotel with direct views of the sea. The bathroom was large, well equipped and appeared to be brand new with a large tub/shower, heated towel rack and lovely amenities. The hotel is only 5 stories high and the elevator is large and newly redone. THIS HOTEL IS NOT AIR CONDITIONED. However, we were there in early September and we found it quite comfortable. On one night, we kept the windows open, but there was a lot of street noise and we found we really didn't need the ventilation. Overall, we'd rate this a four star hotel and it's quite well priced as well. Enjoy your stay. The owner and his son were working in the hotel most of the time. They were quick to respond to nearly any request.

This was myself & my wife's first trip away with our 4 month old baby, and I was a little nervous about staying in a hotel with her. The hotel & staff couldn't be any more accomodating to us though, firstly we arrived late and there were no car parking spaces available. Whilst we were looking for one, the receptionist came out and very kindly moved his car out of the way so that we could park, which was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise. The room was large & had an excellent view of the sea, and the travel cot provided by the hotel was excellent also. We were made to feel very welcome essentially, and I couldn't recommend the hotel more.

Stayed in a Best Western last week in Manchester and payed £15 for a dry burger and frozen chips. Just had a plate of food worthy of an award here for under £13, plaice and beetroot, bloody delicious. Room is very nice and staff are very friendly. Car park is a bit small but there is a public car park near by

We normally try to stay at Best Western Hotels if there is one in the area if it is in the right location and this one is in a great location just across the road from the Beach in Hove and about 2 miles from the centre of Brighton with a bus stop outside the front door every 10 minutes. We had a front room 4th floor bedroom with a fantastic uninterrupted sea view ( room 37) it was a good size room for a 3 star hotel with a large bathroom and a good shower. The breakfast were first class with plenty of choice on the menu and cooked fresh to order something you don't find in many hotels these days with their heated buffets. We had booked on a bed and breakfast basis only but we also had two dinners during the stay and both times the meals were very good. There was plenty to do in Brighton with the Lanes to visit, the pier, the Volks railway the oldest in the world which runs from the pier to the marina which is the largest in Europe. The only drawback at the hotel and the reason I didnt give it 5stars and excellent is the car parking is limited and the entrance is narrow which some might find it difficult although I have a large estate car and it was fine. However there is adequate street parking very close by if no spaces are available. Well worth stayying if you are visiting the Brighton are and nore reasonable cost than the 4 and 5 star hotels although the Brighton seafront.

Second year and booked for third year clean comfortable rooms and great staff the night porter is a gem Little bit out of Brighton but we enjoy staying out of the crowded centre opposite beach with nice walks and a bus stop right outside the hotel for town also a very reasonable taxi service breakfast great too just review the quality of the ham on the eggs benedict - not nice but when I asked for it to be changed for bacon they completely replaced with no fuss Great hotel for staying in Brighton.

This hotel is positioned in Hove and currently undergoing refurbishment. The downstairs is a little drab but upstairs was lovely. The bright newly decorated corridors and the lovely rooms have been finished to a high standard. We had room no 3 which was a family room. It was bright and spacious with a very large double and two singles. It was very clean with a good sized bathroom. It boasts a lovely sea view which unfortunately we missed as the circus was in town and obscuring it. It was hot in the room and could have benefited air conditioning but the hotel did provide a fan and it was August! I would say that it is a half hour walk into Brighton with lots of restaurants nearby. There is a bus stop outside the hotel. There is a car park which was bigger than I thought it would be by reading the reviews but a very narrow drive into it. You can park on the road opposite to the hotel with is free from 8pm-9am. We would definitely stay again.

The Hotel staff are excellent and available at all times of the day and night.The hotel is in a good location, facing the sea and close to lots of bars, restuarants and ameneties.The rooms are modern, well equiped and nicely decorated.

The hotel is in Hove around a 15 minute walk into Brighton. We had a rear room over looking the car park so didn't have the sea view but also it was quite quiet. Think budget accommodation which is nice and clean and you won't be disappointed.

The hotel met our expectations, the breakfast was good and the staff were simply lovely. It is a pleasant walk away from much busier Brighton, there are many restaurants and various shopping facilities nearby. We had an exceptionally good and freshly cooked fish and chips in a little place across the road - Chippy Chips.

We had sea view rooms: a good size with modern bathrooms, clean and seem recently decorated/refurbished. All the staff were pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Coastliner bus stops outside and runs every 10 minutes in the day (plus a night service) for getting into Brighton or westwards to other towns. Good Continental breakfast, or pay more for full English. Restaurant had good evening meals with food and drinks at sensible prices; bar prices also sensible. Range of restaurants a short walk back from the sea. Sea view side is on a busy road: take earplugs if this is likely to bother you.

We had a delightful stay in this hotel in Hove . Staff are all incredibly welcoming and friendly . Would like to give a special mention to Dave the Night porter who went out of his way to make our stay so enjoyable . We enjoyed your card tricks too . Lovely room with balcony and sea view

Last week I stayed at the Princes Marine Hotel Hove with my son for a four night break. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. We had a large sea view family room on the third floor with a good view and although you could hear the traffic, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The breakfast was excellent and also some good evening meal choices, although limited for a gluten free diet. The hotel had a unique feel and the restaurant staff, especially Philip and Jasmin, were friendly and obliging. A very enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

The room was relatively clean, soap scum and hair on rim of sink (side facing taps), hair and scum between cistern and seat on toilet. Only found one really helpful staff member, English waitress. Asked for warmed milk both mornings, despite different requests (Hot & Warm), always came boiling. No consideration for the disabled (I am a blue badge owner), they only have 2 disabled bays, and my request prior to arrival regarding this was not answered. Not possible unload at the door as the drive through was permanetly blocked by Renault SUV. When reception was asked why a non blue badge user was in a disabled bay, she said she told him it was OK as he was leaving that day. Various price differences in the bar, especially if you paid cash. Restaurant food was nothing to write home about, I require and requested well cooked vegetables so they are soft due to problems swallowing, completely ignored. Had fish on both occasions, Sea Bass soapy, didn't flake as it should, Cod in beer batter, mushy no flavour and served on newspaper reproduction on a board, why, what is wrong with a plate? No I won't be returning

Nice hotel a couple of miles from town center which was ideal for our stay. I would advise anybody that is given room 10 to ask for a change immediately. We were staying for four nights and were woken up at 8.30am every morning with banging and drilling. Except Sunday but still the downside was we had been kept up late with noise on Saturday night. You can hear the toilets and hand dryer from the main hotel toilets from room 10. We were also woken with seagulls through the night but this is expected staying beside the seaside it was the noise from the toilets and staff that was frustrating. The positive was that Maria on reception was extremely welcoming and helpful unlike her colleague who was very blunt.

We stayed at this hotel last night and we do not have a bad word to say about it. The staff from the restaurant, reception and bar were lovely and very helpful. We had breakfast and the two that served us was brilliant and had customer service on point! We had a sea view room on the top floor,it was very clean and spacious. Definitely recommend this hotel and the price is very reasonable. Just wished they had more parking but can park across the road for a small charge. Thank you for a lovely stay ??

A good value for money hotel in Brighton! Great location and excellent breakfast! Had a twin room at the back - WiFi included, managed to park, (rare in Brighton!) Was able to check in early. Would definately return!

Stayed here for a Saturday, Sunday weekend break with friends We booked it a number of months ago as found a good deal. Arrived early Sat morning hotel has a small car park and was not surprised it was full, but you can park on the road in front of the hotel for £5-10 a day which thought was very reasonable and didn't bother moving the car just put another ticket on for the Sunday. The location of the hotel is about 2 miles from the centre of Brighton which we walked and wasn't a problem and we all felt the quieter location was worth the walk. We did have a taxi in on Sat evening and was £10 so was ok. Checked into hotel late afternoon with no probs had a good room with sea view which had been recently refurbished so was very good. All very friendly staff. Had breakfast in the morning which was excellent choices from cereals, full continental and a number of cooked options. The full English I can vouch was very good.... Would definitely use this hotel if visiting Brighton certainly ticked all the boxes.

Sadly stayed only one night between family visits in the South East. Arrived early and got parked in the very tight car park. Our room wasnt ready so we were upgraded to sea view. Lovely comfortable room on 3rd floor with great view of Hove Lawns and sea front. Nice toiletries and very clean. Friendly very helpful staff. There is a small bar with TV and small outside seating area. We didnt have an evening meal but food looked good. Good quality selection of hot & cold food at breakfast, and friendly, efficient staff. Public areas very clean. Bus stops regularly outside hotel into Brighton where a day pass is under £5.00. Also parking opposite on sea front £5.20 all day & free overnight. Easy reach of Brighton without the hustle and bustle. Pubs and restaurants in Hove a 5 -10 minute walk away. Looks average on its external photos but lovely inside. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time we're coming to the area.

I can hardly find words to express how much I love this hotel. Perfect, beautiful sea views in many room - especially on the awesome 5th floor. Amenities like a palace, but with a personal touch that makes it feel like hoe; extremely friendly and family run. I stayed here after being in hospital due to a broken hip. The staff could not have done more to help me in every way. Then yesterday I booked a room again for last night as a treat. - hip now- healed and better than ever again. Well, I knew that the facilities at this hotel would be great and did not ask any particular room - NEVER expected to be put up in this most glorious of rooms room on 5th floor with the most incredible bird's eye sea views and fabulous perfect amenities, even exceeding the standard of the other lovely room with sea views that I had stayed in before. Talk about doing the EXTRA for guests .- I do not think that in the combination of being immaculate and so very friendly and helpful that there is a finer hotel on this earth. Best in the world!. Fit for a Queen! even though I am just a very ordinary person. I thank you Best Western Princess Marine with all my heart. I am so overcome. I fell asleep early on the wonderfully comfortable bed -and now have woken before dawn - just waiting for the beautiful dawn and sunrise. Rosie Swale Pope MBE

This hotel is the perfect don't judge a book by its cover From the outside it does not look much but when you get inside this hotel is brilliant The reception were very friendly We had a room on the 4th floor the bedroom was very big with plenty of room we had a brilliant sea view The room had everything we needed and they even supplied a fan for us The bathroom was very big as well Breakfast was very good with a good choice The car park was small so we parked across the road outside the hotel it only cost about £5 a day we did it all on the app so didn't even have to leave the room There is a bus that stops right outside the hotel so it's easy to get to the centre of Brighton

Great location, with a lovely walk into Brighton centre. We were very impressed that there is a car park which offers free parking with your stay. The rooms are really nice...comfortable and clean. Very helpful staff and manager. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and plan to return!

We stayed here on Friday and Saturday for the annual Festival. Chose a room on 5th Floor with balcony and sea view. Fantastic!! Room was small but very clean and quality linen and bedding. We did not try the bar or the restaurant (for either dinner or breakfast) so I can't comment. The hotel is convenient for Hove and Church Road restaurant and bars. There is a car park at the rear but if you have a large car, you might struggle to get in as it has a narrow entrance. Having said that someone had managed to get a big SUV successfully. I would definitely recommend the top floor of this hotel but I cannot really say about the restaurant and bar. If you have time, I would suggest going to Church Road some 5 minutes away, where you can have a lovely breakfast at one of the many cafés. I will definitely come back!!!

I'll start with the car park. Not many spaces and very narrow entrance. Be prepared to park on the road (metered). Checking in easy, room and bathroom large. Decor tired but comfy enough. Breakfast was ok (full english) but nothing special. Food and drink as you would expect, expensive however, staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. Good location.

This is a 3 star hotel and is worthy of a higher grade. The room and bathroom are both large. Quality of the bedding is good, although the bed is a little firm. Cleanliness of the room and bathroom was excellent. The management and staff make an effort to ensure a good level of standard is maintained. We only had breakfast in the restaurant but again the quality of the sausages and bacon was good and good size portions. The hotel is about 2 mile from Brighton but a 700 bus stops right outside the hotel. We had a lovely time in Brighton and would stay at the Princes Marine Hotel again.

We booked it last minute, so it was a bit pricey. I liked the room it was a fair sized room with a King sized bed and a big enough bathroom. We chose to have the sea facing room with a balcony and I liked the balcony and the view from it. The staff were friendly and check in and check out were easy and quick enough. The bar downstairs also lent us champagne glasses for the night which was v kind. The cleanliness was a bit slack and there was dust everywhere, on the furniture and the little smartphone dock was smothered with dust. They have free parking which was great.

Lovely hotel, very clean and spacious. Had a really nice homely feel to it! The staff were lovely too very friendly! The sea view was amazing and I would 100% go back think another trip there is on the cards!

Very generous sized rooms - this was very convenient as we we were on a cycling trip and there was no other secure storage for them. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was OK but not as good as the long list of offerings suggested. Convenient location on the promenade.

We were room only but everything was clean & beds were comfortable, room was a good size (32) we were at the back of the hotel above the car park & I imagine at the front you would get road noise.we didn't have breakfast in here but went to a cafe up to the left as you came out hotel think it was sunshine & arts cafe 4 out of the 5 mornings & even ate in restaurant (sini) next door to it both were amazing & everything good quality & freshly cooked. I would return to this hotel if in the area as staff were all lovely & helpful.

Hotel itself is we maintained and the rooms are modern and a good size. Don't let the outside of the building put you off! The one big let down with this hotel is the parking. What they don't tell you is that it only has about 15 spaces, and they are accessed from a very tight one way alley down the side of the hotel. If it's full then you will need to use the on road parking. Whilst not expensive, it is no return within 4 hours, so if you are staying multiple days and not using your car, you will need to drive around a bit to park

Family of 5 traveling from America. Starting off, the parking is completely awful. The small.. and by small I mean don't even try, parking lot behind the hotel is bad, very bad. I watched 2 cars hit the wall and a small building from our room. Luckily it was so packed with the maybe 10 spots they had, I had to park on the Main Street in front of the hotel. Cost was a little over £5 for 11 hours. NO AC, so if it's warm or you have an ocean view, be ready. The sun makes it bad. They do offer a little desk fan. The smell of marijuana was a little unappealing also and with the no AC it makes it stale. We walked to Brighton boardwalk, about a 35 min walk. Again, if you like bums, wannabe gangsters and drugs... that's the place for you. The beach right out from the hotel is nice and a lot more family friendly and there are a lot of places to sit and watch the water and boats. But other than that, would not recommend the area. This is the UK and locals may be used to the no AC, so for some, that may not be an issue. We are from Florida, AC is our life.

There is a limited car park but I managed to have the last available space, a lot of hotels on the front don't offer free parking so this was a great bonus and saved me £70 parking in the Lanes. The room was 5/5 - modern, a good size, fantastic light, lovely views, all the appliances you could need including a fan as there was no air conditioning. Best room I've been in in Brighton. Customer service and staff were helpful and friendly without being over the top. Note that the centre/ pier area is 40 minute walk away from this hotel. I hired a bike for £1 on the front and it takes less than 8 mins to cycle. Plus there is a bus service outside the hotel. Great stay, I would return.

Stayed at this hotel as we were visiting to go on the i360. Hotel was clean and comfortable but didn't feel like it had much character. Staff did their job but that was it , no chat or smiles just did what they had to do. But the hotel did it's job and as I said was clean and comfortable so nothing to complain about.

The hotel doesn't look too good from the outside. Public areas not great either. The corridor outside my lift by my room on the 3rd floor, was full of housekeeping stuff which looked like it had been just dumped in the hallway. Thats why I was surprised to find the room was good. Goes to show that first impressions can be wrong. Bed was comfy and clean. Enough pillows and very nice bathroom, even though the water pressure is a bit low. Car parking facilities are atrocious. If you can squeeze past the protruding walls, which you can only achieve when the car is dead straight. My rear,front and side sensors were on red and continuous noise all the time and sadly my wing mirrors had to be folded to avoid the brick walls, so no help there. Anything wider and believe me there are many wider cars, will not make it. Then you have to negotiate a 45° turn which took me at least 10 turns, into a single very tight and very short drive, only to find that there were no car parking places. How can you reverse back into a ten turn, no wing-mirror tunnel. Not possible. So I did a 20 point turn and eventually made it out of the nightmare, but only to find that car parking had been allowed in the drive, and front of the hotel, so there was nowhere to stop to unload the car. I parked down the road in a bay as there was nothing else nearby. A long walk to the hotel. Luck was with me the following day. When I went to get my car in the morning the majority of cars in all the bays had been clamped. Mine hadn't, thanking the Universe. Oh thought I should end on a positive note. The staff are lovely and helpful.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and 2 teen+ kids. We had 2 rooms, ours was a double room with sea view and balcony on 5th (top) floor. Nice tidy room, as said with small balcony which was handy as the room was very hot. Although on a main road, the traffic noise was not too bad for a bank holiday weekend and did not interrupt our sleep. Bed was not too bad (probably due a new mattress soon though) but pillows were very hard almost solid. Kids twin room was on the 4th floor and looked out on to the car park. Again the room was clean, spacious and a lot cooler than ours. Fans in both rooms helped. Facilities in the rooms were good, kettle, tv etc. Staff polite and helpful. Car park is quite small although we did manage to get a space. Parking almost opposite by the bowling greens was very cheap. We didn't eat in the hotel as the breakfast is quite pricey at £12.99 per person. Spitfire cafe on the beach was very nice and quite reasonable for its location. Brighton pier quite a walk but the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Would I stay in this hotel again?? Definitely :)

Another excellent stay at Best Western Princes Marine hotel. Located on Hove seafront this hotel has a friendly atmosphere. The staff are all helpful. The hotel is light, airy and clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food is top notch. Sea front rooms have beautiful views but be aware that they get hot and you need to open windows which then leads to traffic noise. Rooms at back are also nice. Fans and portable fridges available on request. Parking is no better or worse than other sea front hotels in Brighton.There are designated disabled spaces, some parking through a narrow access at the back then pay parking on sea front and adjoining streets. Once you park in car park you could leave you car and travel via regular seafront bus into town or along coast. One of the few sea front hotels to have lawns opposite rather than just concrete esplanade. Great for walks. Bowling green nearby, croquet, tennis courts and King Alfred leisure complex. This hotel is always upgrading its facilities and is about to open two ground floor disabled rooms. If they are up to the high standard of the penthouse rooms conversion they will be extremely popular. This hotel is going from strength to strength. Special thanks to Philip, head of the restaurant, who takes pride in anticpating your needs and providing great service. The owner is often on hand and very amenable to any requests.

Stayed for three nights on business. The hotel is perfectly clean and tidy and the staff friendly enough. The main observation I would make is the hotel feels like it is stuck in the 1980's, not a criticism as such and probably a reflection of it's English seaside location! Parking wasn't an issue although had to park across the road on the Promenade (free from 8pm to 9am), this would have been a problem if there on holiday. I ate in the bar one evening and the food was fine and would happily eat there again. Room spacious and comfortable and the shower powerful. Would stay again if on business but not somewhere I would take the family for any length of time primarily because of it's location. The hotel is located in Hove which I hadn't realised appears quite run done and primarily made up of apartment blocks unlike Brighton a mile or so down the road and hence there were very few places to eat / drink nearby.

the staff room and room was very nice, parking was a problem, we did get blocked in, we did have problems with noise from the room next door. the night porter, David was very helpful ,and tried to resolve the situation.. the breakfast was nice, good quality produce..we did need 2 shuffle cars so we could get ours out the next morning. I would say you cant walk into Brighton, but a taxi fare is about £10.00 each way, I would probably stay again but that is thanks to the staff I would say...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I booked here for my aunts hen. Everyone was impressed with their rooms, and breakfast, for the extra £12 was well worth the money. Rooms comfy and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Nice and very large clean room for 4 people with a ocean view (#27). Lots of space for luggages. Small sofa and chair near window. Large and clean bathroom. Comfortable beds (mattress a bit hard). Very good hot and cold breakfast, with fruits and yogurt. Appetizers at dinner time just ok.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Clean, big rooms. Staff are extremely attentive. No one cannot stay here without meeting Dave the night porter! Dave will ensure you have a smile in your face, with his magic tricks, jokes and stories, absolute asset to the hotel, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, we have booked to stay here again, in July.

One night stay, hotel on the seafront. Easy to find with parking at rear. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good food and decent Wi-Fi. Great location a couple of miles from the pier and centre. Would stay again if in the area.

A definite 5* for the staff in a good hotel, very friendly and welcoming. & I should especially mention Dave, the night porter with his quizzes, jokes and great company while you have a late night drink! A rear-view double room for £130 on Saturday feels a bit pricey, other rates are available, but the bed was very comfy and there was not a peep from the other residents. An excellent night's sleep!!! & breakfast was excellent. Thick bacon and local sausages! A definite one to return to

A good sized room with a clear sea view, clean, well equipped, good price and large breakfast. Philip the breakfast manager, was efficient, friendly and great at his job. All the staff were professional, and friendly. The free car park although small is a bonus in this area, bus into Brighton stops right out side or it is not too far to walk if you enjoy walking by the sea.. Perfect hotel for a weekend away at a good price.

What a lovely hotel I cannot complain about anything. I visited with my daughter and grandkids for mothersday and the family room was amasing. Large ,comfortable huge bathroom ,two sinks ,large tub ,sea views my grandkids kept smiling. Large TV with Netflix so kids loved that Staff 5 star they are so friendly and helpful all of them such good customer service We had breakfast here and again Wow good amasing but the creme de le creme is Philip who runs that restaurant with finesse what a lovely man. So attentive such quality service, a rare quality experience in all the hotels ive stayed in He's a credit to this hotel so are all the staff Thank you for a delightful stay will definately return

Was here for one night payed almost £160 for the night! On arrival I had to wait 10 minuets whilst the receptionist continued her conversation until she acknowledged me!! The room was ok bed was very comfortable, the walls are very thin!! Had a group of women chatting for 20 minuets in the hallway at 02:45 which was interesting!! I'll book the premier inn next time a better value hotel

Stayed here for two nights. The breakfast was excellent and the room was large and spotless. However the room was a bit dated and could do with refurbishment. The only reason I didn't give the hotel 5 stars was it was so noisy at night. I could hear other rooms going to the loo, pulling their flush and even turning on the taps! Maybe it was just the room I had but it would put me off staying here again.

This hotel was booked by my employee for business. I was told that car parking may be difficult but I found space to the rear of the hotel. Checked in to a friendly receptionist. The rooms was very clean and bed was super large. Had food in the restaurant in the evening I can ??% recommend the Pork boasts, was delicious. Good wine and friendly staff. Would recommend this stay in Brighton. Plus it on the front so convenient for the beach!

We've been staying here for a number of years and gave never had a problem. Thus stay was for 2 nights following my completion of the Brighton Half Marathon. We had an executive room with sea view which was very clean (and very warm! ) and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was also included which was great both mornings! We stay here as there is free parking at the hotel which you can't get in Brighton, although it is on a first come first served basis. It's then approx a 40 minute walk into Brighton or there are plenty of buses. Staff were all very friendly! We will definitely be back.

Went to Brighton to see the best band in the world Franz Ferdinand, absolutely brilliant the entertainment value & the songs were intoxicating so different shame it had to end. Well we searched & searched for a hotel in the vacinity of the Dome Theatre to find a hotel with parking, we couldn't find one apart from those that offered you a voucher to use the local car parks or other arranged facilities after making a room booking. The average prices for overnight parking varied between £18.00 & £26.00 bloody rip off. Not the hotels fault its the Council that sets the tariff but add the car parking fee to the overnight stay without breakfast and you realise that youre on a looser. £3.60p per hour starting price to park near the Grand hotel on the road. The rooms in the Brighton hotels in the centre are overpriced, they are not even appealing and most do not even offer breakfast. Some of the hotels offer rooms with shared bathrooms how out of date is that especially if others sharing have been in the curry house! We decided to book into the Best Western as they offered parking and a full english breakfast. We have stayed in the Best Western chain hotels before and found them clean, with private facilities that are suitable for an overnight stay. BUT, there is always something and this time it was the two paving slabs that the hotel staff had dressed up as pillows. We had travelled for 2 hrs to get to Hove, asked nicely to go for a walk for an hour as we were early, then return to the hotel and book in. Great, the cleaners had done the room and the reception staff allowed us to move in. We had a cup of rosy lee and decided to walk into Brighton along the sea front which was approximately 3.5 miles. Easy walk on the level, cold wind but dry. We walked around the Lanes shopping district which is full of different shops, pubs, restaurants, cafe's and takeaways. You can buy clothes and other items here that you wont see elsewhere as there is such a vast choice of retailers, and historical buildings,great place to spend a day or two. Enjoyed a couple of pints and a sunday roast then went to see the greatest band on the planet. The show ended around 11.00pm went for a pint to calm down after the gig then got a taxi back to the hotel £8.00. The hotel was warm and welcoming and we were ready for bed as we had been mozying around for 17 hrs. THIS IS WHEN I REALISED THAT THERE ARE PILLOWS THAT YOU WOULD NOT EVEN REST YOUR WEARY FEET ON. These two were flat and hard with no life in them at all, infact they even hurt my head and ears when I first laid on them. I called the reception and a man asked what the problem was, i told him and asked if he could replace them with two different ones. He said " i will look" five minutes later he knocked the door and offered me a choice of ordinary seat cushions which he had gathered up from the reception seating, bless him! I said surely you must have spare pillows in this hotel? He said" I have checked the linen cupboard and we have none" I told him that I am not sleeping on those items and I will have to make do with what I had. Eventually after what seemed like hours I got to have 15 1/2 winks but woke up with an aching head. Never again I'm taking my pillow away with me every time, just like Franz Ferdinand my pillow is the best in the world, BUT unfortunately for one night I had to grin and bare it sleeping on paving slabs because a major chain hotel did not have any spare pillows!

loved it! went there for my sons graduation at The Brighton Centre a few minutes away. The staff were outstanding, the evening waitress was polite and amazing, the 2 breakfast waiters were so friendly, couldnt do enough for us, loved them. The food evening and breakfast was fab and we all enjoyed it very much.The room was big and clean.Interested now in trying more Best western hotels, but this will take some beating

We come to Brighton on a regular basis so we try many hotels and this hotel is one of the best I would definitely recommend it. It is clean, efficient staff and very convenient also good value for money. I can't find any faults to complain about

We had a 90th birthday celebratory meal and Philip personally waited on us from beginning to end. I have NEVER experienced service like it, just astounding attention and detail. Dealing with each person individually, attentive, listened to our needs and I couldn't have asked for more. Helped make it even more special as he made it such a stress free experience (had my 2 young kids with us). I hope he gets to hear how amazing a job he does and frankly you should be/work towards a top end establishment as you certainly put the work in. Not to forget the chef as the food was fab too. Hotel owner- get some decent hand dryers in the loos!!! ... and give Philip a pay rise.

We decided to eat in as the menu lo led food rather than head into town for dinner. Best decision we've made In years. I can't remember the last time we ate out so well. Worth going just for the food. Italian chef has been there 15 years and clearly loves what he does. Very reasonable price, can't rate highly enough.

Stayed January on a Saturday night. Got a bus into town for £1.60 right outside the hotel. Walked back along the seafront 25 min walk. Hotel was nice. Room was hot so turned off the heating. Breakfast was lovely full English included in booking. Parking very tight and not much (We got the last space)

Room was good, and receptionist and bartender were nice. Not impressed in the morning, had to wait for a very long time for my cooked breakfast, and no apology for it being late, and was not offered any toast The evening meal was adequate, albiet a wee bit dry, the chicken wings were supposed to have sauce on it, but failed on that point

Absolutely loved staying in this hotel the breakfast was lovely the staff were great and the condition of the room was excellent. Will defiantly be staying here again in the future. Located very well to the seafront and has lots of attractions and restaurants around it too.

This hotel met all the requirements of a comfortable stay a good bed and pillows. Everything was adequate and more than expected. Tea/coffee facilities provided, great TV size, carpet flooring, bath and excellent shower over bath. The only downside was that breakfast is not included and there is a shower curtain not screen.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. My wife and I visited Brighton a few months ago with our two young kids (5 + 1) and stayed at the Princes Marine Hotel. We used to live in Hove so know the area well. We stayed in one of the large family rooms on the top floor, which had an outside terrace and therefore worked perfectly with the little ones. We were lucky enough to have great weather so we were able to sit out on the terrace and enjoy a few glasses of wine overlooking the sea, whilst still being able to see the kids asleep in their beds :) Great cooked breakfast (and family friendly) in the morning, which filled everyone up for the day. We couldn't recommend it enough for a family visit. It's the perfect hotel if you're looking for somewhere a few minutes away from the city centre but don't want to feel like you're in Ibiza on a Saturday night - ha.

The room was clean, albeit rather small, and the usual accoutrements were all present and correct. The breakfast was good but the choices were somewhat limited. The staff were friendly enough. 'Adequate' best describes this hotel - neither more, neither less.

Very comfortable and spacious room with a balcony and sea views. Only stayed for one night as we were going to a party and wished we had booked for two nights as our stay was lovely. The car park was free and the price we paid included a very good breakfast. Would recommend the bar food.

Room, bed, bedding and the complimentary hot drinks were as you might expect. No room service available on a Saturday Evening. No staff attempted to go that extra mile to make it a memorable experience; that said the waiter at breakfast was charming. The room and facilities were overpriced for what they were but adequate for a one-night bolt hole stay.

We paid very little for the room so didn't expect too much. It was a good size, clean enough and the bed was comfortable. The shower had very little power which was annoying. As the hotel is 30 minute walk from Brighton we probably wouldn't stay here again but that is not a reflection on the hotel itself but on its location.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a family room inbetween Christmas and New Year 2 adults and 2 sons ages 12 and 5 years We had a very large family room with a double bed and 3 singles Spotlessly clean throughout our stay Sea view too ?? Every staff member we spoke to from chamber maids to front of house were polite , helpful and friendly We had a look at the newly built top Floor luxury rooms too. Well worth the slightly higher price for the lovely decor and balcony overlooking the sea Breakfast was great. Hot food cooked to order and all served with a smile We visit Brighton and Hove a couple of times a year and will definitely be coming back to this hotel. Only wish we d found it sooner Slight downside is the limited on site parking but we did manage to get a space at the end of day 2. 5 min walk to Hove and all its cafes shops and restaurants. Literally on the seafront making the 15/20 minute walk to Brighton very easy too. Room 39 was our room number and we will Definitely be asking for this one on our next visit

Stayed here 30th December for 1 night for a friends birthday. Cannot fault it really other than the fact that it is a bit dated and drab looking. Very clean, comfy room and great staff. Really good price too including breakfast which was fab. Would definitely stay here again.

We chose hove because we thought parking would be better than a hotel in Brighton itself. Nit was a nightmare last year in Brighton. We were surprised there was room in the car park. The hotel was very friendly, warm and welcoming. We had a basic room but it was very comfortable and warm and clean.

We stayed here to visit Brighton for the Burning of the Clocks parade on 21st December 2017. Hotel just outside Brighton but well positioned with just a short bus ride into Brighton. Room, service and food very good.

This Hotel really did exceed our expectations. Great value for money and with a car park on-site. Very clean! Staff friendly and efficient. Well priced meals. Opposite the beach, Bus Stop outside the Hotel. We will definitely be back.

Stayed for one night over Christmas to visit relatives. Were hardly in the room but found it comfortable and quieter, and better value, than what we could find in Brighton. Breakfast was excellent, spilt for choice and all well cooked.

Location good for transport links to Brighton or Worthing. Hove itself has a lot to offer. The staff were knowledgeable about local amenities, and there were plenty of leaflets on nearby attractions. It was useful to have a bath in addition to a shower in the room, and the shower was powerful and hot. The bacon at breakfast was very tasty and the quality and presentation of the food was very good.

We had a very enjoyable 3 day stay in room 50 with a small terrace and lovely sea view. The room was comfortable, bright and clean. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a bus stop right outside hotel and the 700 bus which stops every 10 minutes takes you into Central Brighton. We will be staying here again.

Nice if impersonal hotel. It is always a struggle to book the correct room for some reason. I think they use a call centre for bookings and the staff arent clear about the layout of the hotel. Staff are pleasant though

A great hotel with lovely clean rooms. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was huge and very clean. Only thing lacking was fridge in the room. The TV was a good size. The room was lovely and warm. We had the sea view room which was spacious and very cosy. Parking is first come first serve and we didn't get a space. However, after 8pm you can park for free on the street until 9am which is a bonus. I must say a huge thank you to the night porter. He was so accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Very cheerful. He was the perfect end to a good night. The front of house gentleman was also very welcoming and polite. Staff are lovely and the food is good. Will be returning soon.

Don't want to be too complimentary as it might make it more difficult to get a room next time! Lovely room, excellent bed (pocket sprung mattress), very clean bathroom, delicious cooked breakfast (and hot which is always nice), will definitely be back!

Comfy bed, friendly staff, great location for a morning stroll down to the piers, considering the price absolutely no complaints! Great free parking spaces round the back, we were probably lucky to grab one though as there are only 10-15 available. Didn't have any meals or breakfast so can't comment on the food.

Great sized and comfy room staff are nice, only draw back breakfast was very small, I had full English tiny portion, the wife had continental not much choice, far too expensive at £22! Overall will return but will opt out of brekkers....

We stayed here for 2 nights in November — we were going to the Old Market to see a band that we like and decided to stay 2 nights. Nice people on Reception, and we were able to check in early and nab a parking space. Room was very clean, comfortable and with double pillows on the bed! Spacious bathroom with cosmetics etc Breakfast was very good - great service and nicely cooked Full English. Only 5 minutes to Brighton Churchill Square using the 700 bus —- stop just outside the hotel. Didn't use the bar nor the restaurant for dinner .....but looked fine to us. The only slight criticism is the speed of the lift!! Recommended and we will use again perhaps for a weekend in spring or summer.

Has parking! Always a great start to a quick 2 day break, hotel does exactly what it says on the tin, clean bedrooms and bathrooms, comfy bed, softer than ours at home but perfectly nice. We didn't eat there at anytime but did have a quick drink later in the bar and that was reasonable, the bar and breakfast area double up, so no separate comfy seats but hey it's Brighton go out eh! About a 30 min walk into Brighton from here with teens in tow, enough to stretch your legs or walk off dinner on the way back. Would stay again.

Most impressed with our stay I asked for top floor double and with sea view and that's exactly what I got !! Clean tidy and bright . Breakfast excellent . Staff friendly and efficient Private parking but get there early and leave your car and use public transport bus 700 gets you to the pier or thereabouts . We used that popular world wide taxi company max price I paid was £7 and a few pence ps bus leaves from right outside the hotel !!!

We came here because we were going to the Brighton Centre for a show and needed somewhere to stay the night. We arrived early but were allowed to check into our room and were lucky to get a parking space. Our room (although not huge) was plenty big enough for the 2 of us and was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was lovely and the heated radiator was on so we had lovely warm towels to use. We knew this was a good 35 minute walk into Brighton but there was a bus stop outside should anyone not fancy the walk. The weather was kind so we ended up doing the walk 4 times! We had a full English breakfast the next morning and it was beautifully cooked. Service was excellent. Overall a great place to stay!! Would definitely return.

Room very comfy, car parking could be a problem. the restaurant had the same menu for each night we were there. Not such a good idea. handy for bus stops etc.Staff very helpful.Beds very comfortable. Sitting area rather nice.

I stayed here a few nights in October 2017. I was slightly put off the first night when I was given a room that was already occupied and I had to explain to the female guest I was not trying to break into her room! I was also put off when I ordered the soup of the day and was told it was minestrone and then found pieces of chicken floating in it. Otherwise the rooms were adequate and clean, the breakfast was good as were most evening meals (apart from steak which wasn't very tasty.) The real downside is the location. It's too far away from any decent restaurants or evening entertainment.

Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It doesn't look much from the outside but our room was very spacious and very clean. Bed was comfy and large window made the room bright and welcoming. Great views of the sea as well. Lovely big bathroom and can't find any fault. I can't comment on the restaurant/bar as I did not use them but checking in and housekeeping were great. As noted in the guest information pack, an iron and board was available on request which we were given with no problems when asked. Would recommend and use again.

The outside of this hotel looks plain and average, almost like an small office block. However behind the frontage and average reception area there is a comfortable hotel with smart modern spacious rooms at a reasonable price (outside of high season). Breakfast was acceptable with the usual choice one would expect from a 3 star hotel. Evening meals are okay too, with some good daily specials. The big plus was the free car park and closeness to the beach and Hove promenade.

Just teturned from 2 nights at the Best Western Princes Marine Hotel. Large room with a terrace and sea view. Really clean and very pleasant. Staff very helpful. Very good value for money stay in a great location.

A smashing hotel - really deserves an extra star! Lovely spacious room which was very clean and well equipped; lovely sea view from wide window. Very good food from the restaurant. Staff couldn't have been more obliging and helpful - made everything very enjoyable and welcoming.

Always use this hotel when we are in Brighton, central to most things, Easy half an hour walk along the seafront to town or bus service right outside the hotel if needed. Free parking is always a bonus. Staff are always polite and helpful, if you have a problem, tell the staff and it gets dealt with, they cannot help if they dont know something is wrong. Breakfast is very good too.

Great hotel, not sure the location is that great, but worked for us because the restaurant we were dining at was within easy reach, but some distance from the excitement of the Brighton city centre. The room was with a sea view and was large, nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was included which I could jot fault. Parking was free but a little tricky to access the car park because of the narrow access, so if you have a large car, could be problematic.

Outside appearance very uninviting. Limited parking on a first come first served basis. If carpark full you have to pay for daytime parking in street or nearby carpark. Entrance to carpark very narrow. When we arrived received a warm welcome. Standard double room was a very good size and very clean. Very comfortable with comfortable chairs. Dining room a little dated but excellent breakfast. Hot items freshly cooked and good variety of cereals, yogurts etc. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location with bus stop outside hotel which ran along the coast.

Hotel was lovely and clean and our room on the 5th floor was nice but a bit tight around the bed and no sea view which was sad as it was a special occasion . However the room was clean and the staff couldn't do enough for us , friendly , helpful fab well done . Down side as a chef the cooked breakfasts where not good . The sad thing was they had lovely ingredients . The continental was lovely , but the cooked was prepped and cooked early and not to order . The eggs Benedictine was stone cold , the pouched eggs and ready mad sauce cold and English muffins . The egg and bacon cold and bacon over cooked . And it was such a shame as they had wonderful free range eggs and maple bacon . Never mind it didn't spoil out stay thank you guys xx

We stayed for one night. The impeccable bedroom was well-furnished with a proper dressing-table, good lighting, lots of wardrobe room, and an excellent bathroom. The breakfast menu was one of the most extensive we've come across. For instance, apart from the usual full English offering, there were kippers, a variety of egg-based dishes such as scrambled with smoked salmon, omelettes, eggs Benedict and Royale. Really rather surprising in a mid-range hotel. And perfectly presented too. Not a great deal of parking space at the hotel, but there's a large car park only 50 yards or so away across the road. It's is free between 6pm and 9am - ideal for an overnight stay. There were lots of spaces.

We have stayed at the hotel a number of times when visiting family nearby and have always enjoyed the experience. All the rooms we have stayed in have been of a good size and occasionally when we can treat ourselves to a more expensive room, those on the front provide great sea views. The greatest asset of the hotel is the staff. From Reception to restaurant, bar and night porter. They are all very welcoming and enhance the stay. The rooms are clean, the food is good and although there is some parking on site, there is plenty of parking nearby. Its a great location for getting into Brighton

Stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend. The hotel is well situated, just opposite the Brighton and Hove Promenade. Lovely stroll from here to the Pier/Brighton Centre which is about 45minutes in total. Buses available frequently. The price we paid was not as competitive as usual for a Best Western but I understand the rates are higher on weekends. We had a Seaview executive room on the 5th floor. The room itself was quaint and had a small balcony. The room was not very spacious but well maintained and well equipped. The issue we had was the heat! It was uncomfortably hot in the room and no air conditioning. You cannot open the window due to the noise from the main road and although a fan is provided, it is again really noisy. That, coupled with the fact the pillows and mattress were awful, did not make for a good night's sleep. Seriously, the pillows felt like bricks! Parking the car was challenging. Although I'm grateful parking is provided, it is limited and a very tight squeeze! People were blocking each other in and it was mayhem at ons point. Breakfast was very reasonable. Buffet continental and cooked items can be ordered from an extensive menu. Overall, it was a pleasant stay but the lack of sleep was not ideal.

Stayed here several times now and it's always clean, tidy and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is good with friendly service. Probably the best asset in the hotel is the night porter (Cornish). Nothing is to much trouble. If you need an early sausage sandwich before the normal breakfast service starts it's not a problem. Served with a smile and a pot of tea at 6.20 am. One of life's characters.

From the get go the service was warm friendly the room was booked via Booking.com and we were given a back room. That was fine but we payed $10 and opted for a sea view upgrade Whilst it was on the front it was very quiet. AND we could open the windows (bonus for fresh air) Excellent The room itself was clean comfortable bed and excellent shower (that is all we need) The restaurant was unbelievable Apart from great views over the ocean the food was extremely good It quickly became obvious an entrée serve was more than enough and delicious to boot. The breakfast was very good too with choice of lots of fruit cheese cold meats fresh croissants Good start to the day. If there was anything negative it would be the access to the rear car park. We had a hire car and the drive through to the back was far too narrow and the parking limited. We ended up parking under the verandah by the front door which was OK with them

Excellent hotel, everyone was happy, room was good, food was very good, drinks were a little expensive but then you are basically in Brighton, would recommend to anyone.The parking is probably the only issue, but you can park for £5. Per day if you don't use the car.

Stayed for the august bank holiday and had a lovely stay the room we had was recently refurbished basic but had all you needed and the shower was powerful and hot ,stayed room only so could not comment on breakfast , across the road from the beach and about 10 mins from the centre taxi fare about eight pounds each way but there is also a bus stop outside the hotel , free parking but not many spaces do first come first served and it's very small the entrance next to the hotel is very narrow and not for the faint hearted ! Overall a good value hotel with friendly staff had a sandwich the first day we arrived and it was lovely would stay here again

I've stayed at this hotel twice before as it's near to family when I've visited Brighton, however, it's not a great hotel - just an ok one. The hotel is about a 45 minute walk from the centre of Brighton, but it's location on the seafront is nice for a stroll. We were fortunate enough to get a parking space in front of the hotel (which is free), but were blocked in by other guests/staff on a few occasions which we had to mention to the front desk. It would be better if they restricted cars parking in front of the hotel where there aren't designated spaces. There were 3 of us sharing a family room (1 single and 1 double), which was spacious enough for a brief stay. With more luggage in the room it would have become a bit of a squeeze. We had a sea view room, which even on a gloomy day was pleasant. However, during the night the room became unbearably hot (the weather wasn't at all hot when we stayed). Opening the windows meant enduring the noise from the busy road below so in the end we had to settle for one or the other. There was a fan in the room but this was also noisy to have on at night. We had breakfast during our one night stay. The breakfast didn't open until 8am, which in my opinion is a little late even for a Saturday. There was plenty of choice of fruit, yogurt, pastries, meats, cheeses and cereals. They brought toast and hot drinks to the table, as well as the option of a cooked breakfast (including pancakes/scrambled eggs etc).

Booked for one night on a Saturday. The price hike for weekend is an absolute liberty, nearly double the price at £180 night! For that price, I would expect something exceptional. This hotel is NOT exceptional. It is tired, the room I had was tired. There is no a/c and because of the road noise it was not possible to have the window open. The desk fan provided helped. The parking round the back requires a very narrow car to get to and is very limited. The staff on duty were very friendly BEST Western? Hmmmmmm..... I understand that during Gay Pride Week the week previously, that the local prices were hiked considerably, how fair is that? There should be a law against this sort of profiteering.

been going back to the hotel for a few years , we don't bother looking at other hotels , anyone who complains about parking , should either pay extortionate parking fees or park on the road and be charged , instead of parking your car and not having to worry about it , the staff are excellent , the food is great , and the hotel is not far from Brighton's centre 3 miles which means its quite , and if you walk it doesn't seem like you've walked 3 miles , as far as I'm concerned I'll always stay at the hotel when I go to Brighton , and Dave the night porter is such a laugh and very helpful

excellent hotel with good facilities, free parking is a bonus in Brighton/hove. If you can stay a Sunday night the price is very reasonable, weekday/Saturday charges are too expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as always.

Stayedv2 nights for a wedding we were attending the staff were very friendly and helpfully . We had a meal at the hotel on the eve of the wedding as it was pouring down and didn't want to go out it was that bad we didn't expect to be honest the quality of the food but it was fabulous .we sent compliments to the chef as everything was cooked to perfection and presented lovley

While the Princes Marine Hotel may not be the most architecturally beautiful buildings along the Brighton and Hove coastline, it's definitely worthwhile choosing to stay here. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Phillip (the restaurant manager). The breakfast offering was simple, but included all the usual items from a continental breakfast. The hot meals are also tasty (even if the full English doesn't include black pudding). The rooms are clean and very comfortable, with plenty of space. The rooms we saw came with large bathrooms, cable tv and simple coffee facilities. The hotel also has free wifi which seemed to work well. Location wise, this hotel is close to everywhere you'd like to visit in Hove and an easy bus ride into Brighton - the bus stops are right outside. If you're in need of somewhere to park your car, the car park can often be full and the side driveway is quite tight - you may need to be brave. There is pay and display parking on the beachfront directly opposite.

I stayed at this hotel very recently, on business for 2 days and I absolutely loved staying here, from the friendly, helpful staff especially Philip in the restaurant who was always at hand for suggestions what to eat and also for the local Brighton Gin which was pretty amazing. The room on the 5th floor was spacious, well presented and very clean. The evening meals were sublime, the 1st night I chose calves liver which just melted in my mouth and cooked to perfection. The 2nd I chose lamb chops, cooked pink and rendered down beautifully. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for either a business or pleasure stay.

Have stayed in several of these hotels and although consistent, do not represent good value. Food & drink I had was OK but expensive for what it was. Breakfast was OK. Room very comfortable. Good view of Hove beachfront.

As a reunion weekend my husband and I and friends wanted to stay at the same location. We were very lucky and each couple had a sea view room. The rooms were spacious and equipped with the usual accessories. Iron and ironing board available at reception. There was no air conditioning, bathroom extract did not appear to work and wash hand basin did not drain freely. Breakfast was fine as was the prompt service but staff attitude needs attention. Room attendant was very pleasant. Inadequate parking for size of hotel. Price considered high.

Stayed here for 2 weeks and was more than pleased. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent. Breakfast was cooked to order served hot and dinner was better than most 5 star hotels I have stayed in. The bed and pillows could have been more comfortable but all the in all it was a great stay. Well worth a visit.

Our family of four spent two nights at this hotel and it was lovely! We had a sea view from the first floor and we were lucky to have some clear, sunny days while we were there to enjoy it. The room was spacious and well laid out for our family, and we found that this hotel was pretty close to most things. We spent time at the seashore, shopped along nearby George Street and ate fish and chips at Wolfies. Most of the classic Brighton activities are a short cab ride away: the Pier, the Lanes and the Pavilion. All are easily accessible on foot once you get into Brighton. A nice place to stay!

Absolutely delightful staff who could not do enough. Comfortable clean hotel. I will definitely return. Well done to all! This hotel is great value compared with others in central Brighton. Good bus services run into town from right outside the door every 15 minutes up to Midnight.

We had a Seaview Room. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and well decorated (including en-suite). Great view over recreational green and promenade beach huts to the beach and sea. The only downside was traffic noise when windows were open. If you don't mind the view and you want a tad more peace ask for a room at the rear. Excellent breakfast (buffet continental and/or choose cooked items from menu).

We had read plenty of reviews and were not expecting more than advertised. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, and we could not control the room temperature nor open the windows, so we didn't sleep well. It is a pleasant little place in a nice location, but we came away a little disappointed.

Visiting a grand daughter in Hove we decided to stay at this hotel on Hove seafront . Found a space in the car park and checked in . Very nice large twin bedded room at the back ( view ok not the sea ) two comfortable easy chairs . Good tv on wall . Spacious bathroom with nice fluffy towels . Our only meal there was breakfast . Good buffet with fresh fruit , cereals , yoghurt . Etc . YCoffee and toast came very quickly . My husband had a very good full English and I had scrambled eggs with mushrooms. Extremely good . Would certainly stay again !

Bit of a mixed bag - hotel is right on the front and we had a fabulous sea view. There was a slightly unkempt air about the place (worrying stain on the base of the bed was unsettling and should be dealt with, place mat my husband was given at dinner was dirty which is sloppy work). Maybe it's a staff shortage - we noticed that Lenka was working in the bar until late on, then back on duty when we went to reception at 8am the next morning (and she was still smiling). No air conditioning which is fine by me, open a window if you need to, traffic noise did not bother us. For a small hotel the menu was good and the food when it came was very good, recommend you stay for dinner!. Takes about 40 minutes to walk from the hotel to Brighton pier but a bus stops right outside the hotel if you can't be bothered. Didn't do breakfast, took porridge pots and had breakfast in bed. Parking area is definitely challenging, especially if you have a larger car. They have padding on the corner of the wall so there must have been many scrapes. Get there early before all the car spaces have gone.

Little changed since my last review in 2016 Cheerful and polite staff with decent size rooms and a very good breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Reception area is a little drab. The huge lift must have been the prototype for the new aircraft carriers. Lets hope the seaborne models move a little faster. Negotiating the parking access and area requires significant skills - and courage No aircon. Beware of the heat on the front of the building on hot days

We were meeting friends who live in Hove and stated one night. Friendly staff room nice and clean and we had a sea view. The breakfast menu looked very good although we didn't have any. The only downfall is that there is limited parking, first come first served. We were lucky and got the last space

The room was clean, there some mildew in the shower but noting major. Daily cleaning service was good, reception staff friendly. Free Wi-Fi which worked in the room. We drove down from glasgow so free on site parking for the time we were there was a real bonus. Good location next to bus routes and lots of cafes/restaurant within a 5 -10 min walk. We never ate in the hotel as we wanted to get out and about but it always smelled good. The big let down was the mattress and pillows which were absolutely rubbish and made for a crap night sleep. We did stay am extra night because the location and parking was good but, we are looking are forward to getting home to our own bed. We would stay again, but only if the bed situation improved.

Came to the area to visit family nearby and booked this hotel as it is on the sea front. I wasn't disappointed as we were on the 3rd floor and had brilliant views of the sea.The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, however I would have preferred a buffet breakfast rather having to order hot or cooked food. I would definitely return here.

As we were visiting at the Hove end we came here. A very good position on the sea front, some half of the rooms face that way, they might get hot in V hot weather but were OK on our visit. Free but limited parking less than 20 places?, first come-first parked. The 700 route coastal bus stops outside, both for Brighton centre or up the coast for us bus pass users. Breakfast free and Ok if a bit shambolic, good choice but the full English appeared the best option.

I stayed here for 5 nights with work. In short the hotel is fantastic and let me tell you why. Checking in was very simple and the staff greeted me with a smile. I was given a room with a sea view and you can not get better than that. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Brighton, literally 300 meters from the sea. It has free car parking in the rear which is a massive bonus. A lot of the hotels in Brighton don't and parking is expensive in the area. My room was lovely, the decor is a little dated but it adds to the charm. The bed was very comfortable, with good quality sheets. There were tea and coffee making facilities with good quality coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. I point this out as this is a hotel that does not skimp on quality produce but at sensible prices. The tv was of a good size and has all the usual channels. The bath room was a large size with a bath and shower that had plenty of power to it. I had breakfast each day. You have two choices of the continental or this with a cooked option. There were rolls, croissants, cooked meats, cereals, cheese, fruits, melon, fruit juices and all the cooked options. Basically plenty to choose from and again at good prices, I just had the continental as it was more than enough for me. I chose to eat in the restaurant each night and the food was some of the best I've had at a hotel. I've tried the beef burger, Caesar salad, lasagne and salted caramel brownie. To be honest I was expecting standard bland food but it was really tasty, full of flavour. They clearly have a very talented Chef as I'm picky when it comes to food but I ate the lot! Overall I've had a fantastic stay at this hotel. I'm in the area a lot with work and I will definitely be staying here from now on. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms in the penthouse, the room was excellent with a small balcony and sea view. Service was very good at all times and there is the added bonus of using the free car park ( if there is a space). Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed for two nights in room 11 on the first floor which overlooked the tear car park, not a problem as no noise from the sea road. Room was spacious, large bathroom - only complaint was towels were very small and thin but reception soon provided extras. Free parking which was a bonus, the bus stop is right outside the hotel which meant getting into the town was easy. Breakfast was included in our rate - excellent choice. Helpful friendly staff. We would certainly stay here again as it was good value for money.

I stayed here to do the London to Brighton bike ride the next day - I wanted somewhere to get my head down with an early start. Every time someone used the plumbing in an adjacent rooms, the noise was very loud, the walls did not seem to insulate the sounds of the drunken guests returning at 2am and still singing dancing, and generally being very loud until 5am. Trying to leave the hotel for my ride I was met by one of the night staff who complained to me about the 24 hour bar, noisy guests, an accident at work where he had fallen down some stairs etc etc Probably the worst nights sleep I've had in any hotel, perhaps I was unlucky - I would bring ear plugs as a precaution!

Stayed here for just one night on a budget but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the newly refurbished room allocated on the fifth floor. It was at the rear of the hotel but still enjoy that lovely panoramic views over the South Downs. Although it's a good 40 minutes walk from here to Brighton town centre (or 10 minutes in a taxi), the hotel is in a quiet location literally opposite the Hove seafront - literally two minutes walk across the road. The hotel staff were courteous and attentive and the breakfast was certainly hearty and varied with a number of cooked options including my favourite kippers and poached eggs! They also serve a number of gluten-free options which suited my partner. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

No nasty surprises. Friendly, helpful staff, a clean, spacious room. The beds could be a little better but they weren't terrible either. The breakfast was absolutely excellent - one of the best I've had in a hotel in Brighton (and we've stayed at the Grand more than once!). It's a fair distance from the centre of Brighton but can get a bus right outside the hotel and a taxi was under a tenner.

We arrived for three days bringing an elderly relative with us. We were shown to impeccably clean rooms with a large bathroom with bath in one and a great, spaciou disabled room with all facilities for our relative. //All staff were very amenable and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend staying in this hote and have never been disappointed over the years we have been coming. The service was and always is beyond our expectations. We could have been at The Grand for the care we were shown.//The food was absolutely delicious and when we asked to change the menu to our liking (and make up a brand new dish), the chef did it with no fuss at all.//The waiting staff were incredibly courteous as were the bar and Reception staff, in fact everybody.//Whoever is managing the hotel, I congratulate you on your efforts. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.//We will be back, definitely. Oh yes, the beds were incredibly comfortable and I slept like a log. Wonderful.
