Best Western The Plaza Hotel

Clean, comfy. We were upgraded to the tower, which was nice. We could hear the highway but there was a general white noise from the hvac that blocked it nicely. Curtains cut out a lot of the light. Elevators fairly fast, nice and quiet. Breakfast was surprisingly good for this type of place! Lots of choices and everyone was happy, even our picky eater. Good choice for an airport hotel.

"If you dont want to stay here, you can leave" Tony the manager responds to me, after I provided some feedback on my stay. I stayed here 4 nights in March. There is a preregistration form which does not include any information on the airport pick up. This is a pretty important data point for an airport hotel. I had to call to get the information. I suggested to Tony that he might want to add that info in. "we can't add any info, because it is different depending on what gate you arrive" True, but when you call the phone number at the BW, it explains that and it gives you instructions to call or use the courtesy phone. Why not simply provide that info on the intake form? For some reason, the digital sign on the pick up bus, does not say Best Western, it says "the Plaza". I had no idea that they named this BW hotel the Plaza. The BW Plaza is not some famous brand that the average customer would know. I almost missed the bus at the airport. Skip the Plaza, and just write BW. Checked into my room. Was not cleaned, found a number of long hairs on the toilet. The staff moved me to a new room, which was upgraded. But that made me wonder, if I have Platinum status, should I have been upgraded in the first place? Im sorry to say, Tony, was somewhere between dull and rude, not able to understand feedback, and ended up prematurely cutting off the conversation, and suggesting I check out of the hotel on my 4th night. This was a civil conversation, but he was simply unwilling to listen. Poor reflection on the brand.

Close to HNL airport. Clean and comfortable room. A bit close to H1 (can hear highway noise). Friendly staff. Included breakfast (very basic, but included). Convenient airport shuttle bus (can be hard to get a seat in the morning back to the airport). This is a strange one.....only one bar of soap in the bathroom. Had to use it for the sink and the shower. Would stay here again for a layover.

It's a great place to stay. The staff is very polite respectful, professional and caring. Internet connection is good. Breakfast is pretty standard. Staff is hard working. Customers can get much higher value if they change their carpet the only thing I found that needs to be fixed is the carpet.

Noisy, no elevator to take bags to 2nd floor-had to take up the stairs ourselves (one kind employee helped us, but not his job), motorcycles zooming by all night, close to airport, room clean, but a little insecure-outside entrance.

The fantastic staff are the real gem of this property. Everyone was working hard but extremely friendly and welcoming. They provided suggestions for nearby food and helped with bus stop locations. The breakfast was fantastic and wifi worked fairly well. Noise from the nearby highway might be a problem for light sleepers, but didn't really bother us. Great value.

Thank you to the workers at this hotel who answered the calls from my family in Alberta trying to assure my niece got up in time to meet her airplane flight. They were helpful and kind. We didn't get any feeling at all that we were imposing on them. They really went above and beyond with their service.

This hotel was very close to HNL. It was very clean and had a pretty good hot breakfast. Eating places were close by with a McDonalds next door. It was a very clean hotel and had free shuttle service to and from the airport. When you call for shuttle it is there in minutes. It is a very reasonable priced hotel.

This hotel was clean and staff was super friendly and helpful. I was stuck in Honolulu on my way home to the Big Island due to mainland flight delays. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was!

We liked this hotel: friendly desk clerks; great coffee bar; ideal location and a timely free shuttle to the airport. However we were surprised to find a large mound of long black hair behind the bathroom. We reported this to the desk clerk who commiserated that she also would find this to be gross. But made no effort to offer any compensation or credit toward our having to walk around it during our stay. I think that BW could have helped to amend this with us. And they need to supervise their housekeeping quality control better.

Staff was very friendly and professional. Rooms were very clean. Had an excellent view of the mountains and airport, which is great for an aviation buff. Will definitely be staying here again. Thank you again.

Our stay was good! Front desk had nice helpful staff. Room was good too. Very happy to have stayed with this Best Western. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a nice selection. I had Melon and good coffee.

We flew in from Molokai the night before to catch a flight to the mainland the next day. We walked here from the inter-island terminal. We arrived at the hotel at about noon (too early to check in). We explained that we were early and asked if there was any way we could check in early but the staff said we could not check in ‘til 3pm. We did not have a car rental so we just sat down in the lobby for 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Finally, we went and asked if we could leave our suitcases with them while we went for a walk. They then told us we could check in if we wanted (it was about 2pm). But they saw us sitting there the whole time and didn't make any effort to accommodate us knowing it was inconvenient to just be sitting there waiting! The rooms are average and adequate. From the looks of it, a lot of airline employees stay here. They have a nice pool which we used. There were a couple of places within walking distance that you could eat at so it wasn't a bad location if you are simply in a “holding pattern” until getting to the airport the next day to fly home or another island. The area is mostly industrial/commercial. The breakfast room is quite lovely and the buffet is excellent. The free shuttle makes regular runs to the nearby Honolulu airport.

Stayed at best western for one night on September 15th, great stay but far from amenities, no stores close by for souvenirs, excellent pool and water was hot, so we're the patio leading to it, wear shoes or feet will burn, served breakfast in the morning with various assortment. Staff very helpful when we asked for directions, room very nice and clean with big screen t.v with lots of channels, vending machines all over plus a water dispenser on 7th floor. Smoking area on 5th floor if you smoked or vaped, all accessories needed in bathroom, very large room, plenty of storage and drawers.bed are kind of on soft side.

Friendly Aloha service from the time we are picked up by shuttle to when we check in and check out. You feel so welcome by all! Great hospitality that keeps me and my family coming back. Mahalo from Alaska

Our flight arrived to late for us to make the drive to Aulani, so we booked a one night stay at this hotel. We called for the airport shuttle and it arrived within 10 minutes. Very friendly and helpful check in staff and shuttle driver. Our room on the 7th floor was clean and nicely air conditioned. Black out curtains were wonderful, and beds/pillows were comfortable. Only complaint about the room is the proximity to the highway. We could hear traffic all night long so it's a good idea to have earplugs with you. There is a buffet breakfast that is delicious and plenty of seating. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again directly before or after a flight.

One of the worst rooms in the worst hotels I've ever experienced. Simply don't go there. We needed a room near the airport as we had an early morning flight. I chose the Best Western because it was more expensive than the alternative just down the road. We were in room 111 which we were assured was quiet, as we had requested. Our room was accessed by going through a security gate out of the hotel which I thought was odd. Our room door opened directly onto the road with a wire fence open to the road. There was a young man with a trolley waving his arms and shouting to his invisble friend just a few metres from our door. Turnin into the short path to our door we were greeted by a massive bag of rubbish and towels. Opening the door and looking around the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was new. The washbasin was in the hallway across from the bathroom. This had drain flies, a sign of stagnant water in the drains. The aircon even when set of the lowest fan speed roared like a jet engine. This was useful in blocking out the road noise in our "quiet room". The view from our room was of the smoking area and a parade of dogs defecating on the grass. Looking over this delightful vista was the highway. There are no restaurants nearby but McDonald's was next door and IHOP across the street. A different vagrant swore at me as I entered McDonald's and there were some pretty shifty looking characters inside one of whom was talking to all assembled! I quickly ate my meal and headed back to the room, double locking the door and placing our luggage against the door. This hotel advertises that the breakfast in included. We were abruptly greeted with the words, "Room number?" "Name?". "Find your own seat and clear up after yourself!" Had she had a bad night's sleep, clearly not a people person! The "restaurant" and small "breakfast buffet" was the most spartan and depressing I have ever come across. The hotel also allowed dogs into the restaurant! Food was self served onto cardboard plates with plastic cutlery and beakers. So in summary avoid this hotel. There is a cheaper and much better hotel just along the road. I certainly wouldn't ever return.

Water pressure was weak. It is hard regulate the temperature of the water. To be fair, I didn't request to be transferred into another room where there is better bathroom. I hope they will update their rooms. The service was good. They accommodated my request to pick our luggage at a later time.

Hotel is close to the airport, but nothing else. Convenient if you don't have a car and want to use the hotel shuttle and the local bus services to get around the island, but area itself has no tourist attractions in walking distance. Excellent full range breakfast.

I loved the location next to the airport. Waikiki is where all of the very expensive hotels are with shopping and sightseeing, but I liked where we were at. It wasn't near as expensive. Hawaii is already overpriced compared to the mainland, so be prepared.

Staff was super friendly. Coffee shop is amazing the lady there was so sweet! My only two probably was waking up in the middle of the night to a roach crawling on me!! I get bugs happen, but the fact I was on the 11th floor and still had them crawling in my bed is gross. Also being charged 50 dollars more than what my reciept said!

Very friendly service throughout. Nice breakfast and pool. Rooms were a bit outdated, but it was alright. Cleanliness could have been better at check in. Cleaning staff was always very nice and accommodating when we asked for something. Lots of food within walking distance.

Very clean. Convenient to the airport. Free shuttle. Really good breakfast. Walking distance to restaurants. It is not quiet, being near the H1 and the airport but the AC in our room was loud enough to drown out most of the traffic.

Stayed July 6th 2023 -1 night. We requested 2 adjoining rooms. When we arrived, the door between the two rooms would not open. Maintenance arrived and drilled open the lock. In addition, there was a towel on the floor full of cat litter +. The rooms were dirty and there was a gap between one exterior door and the floor that easily allowed insects to come inside. The wall air conditioner also had a very loud sound, that would prevent a restful night's sleep. We were graciously moved to two other adjoining rooms by the pleasant front desk staff. The two rooms, that we were moved into, did not have any of the above described issues. Unfortunately, our 45 year old daughter was awakened early in the morning, by a large insect climbing up her leg in bed. Therefore, I highly regret staying at this hotel and would never recommend it.

This hotel is badly in need of renovation. The air conditioner vent rattled with every passing truck. The room we had was practically on top of the interstate and very noisy. Fortunately we had brought earplugs. My husband went to the lobby to get coffee but ended up buying it because he did not find the free breakfast. The room lighting was good. There is no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner. If you do not have a car the choices are very limited.

This was a solidly decent 2-star hotel experience. Big Pros: Nicely decorated lobby. On-demand airport shuttle from airport and hourly pickup to airport. Super close to airport. My room was CLEAN- no specks on my Lysol wipe clean. AC worked great. Big Cons: No daylong restaurant or bar. Only food service is 7-9 am. In the middle of a freeway strip, so the only places to get food within a walking distance are a McD's and a (very nice) convenience store. Uber Eats delivers but there werent too many closeby options even considering delivery. Neutral notes: Standard BW. Breakfast was somewhat supbar (for BW) and inconsistent quality. Mostly great staff. Tip: the only 24/7 drinking water dispenser is on the 7th floor.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights, long enough to visit Pearl Harbor and then flew to Big Island for the remainder of our vacation. Rose was so friendly & welcoming and was able to quickly answer our questions about getting to Pearl Harbor, good places to eat and the hotel-airport shuttle. The next night we had a lovely conversation with Rose and Beau about Hawaiian culture, food & attractions. I just can't say enough good things about them!

I would never write a review but this hotel went far above and beyond for us. They were quick and efficient with excellent service. Rooms were nice spacious with many accommodations. The shuttle service was excellent and even came back to the airport when we had left a phone behind and saved us so much trouble. 10/10 would recommend and book again.

Not much options. Only good option was the waffles. Trash overflow at some point and we didn't know where to put our trash. Premade sandwiches and burritos have no taste. Ran out of other stuff and had to find someone to replenish

Very friendly staff. Need bigger selection for breakfast but overall very good food. Internet was fast. rooms were clean. Nearby shopping and restaurants and conveniently located by the airport with free shuttle to and from.

Very courteous and polite staff and personal. Close to the Honolulu airport. The breakfast was decent and very clean. All the bathrooms were very clean even the ones accessible by the public. The shuttle to the Honolulu Airport was done very politely.

We stayed here January 2023. The hotel is dated but clean. Although the bathroom in our room was clean, the paint was bubbling on every wall. The housekeeping staff was friendly and do a great job. However the front desk staff was not rude but not very friendly either. We booked our room two weeks or so before our arrival. Nothing was ever said or noted on their website about construction being done in the rooms neighboring our room for our entire stay. It's loud. Very loud. The construction and the loud noise that went with said work started at 8am every morning. So there was no sleeping in on our expensive Hawaiian vacation. We went without water for several hours on one of the days as well. The breakfast is too carb and sugar heavy. There was little to no fresh fruit, no vegetables, and what little protein that was offered came in the form of heavily processed meat and egg white microwaved sandwiches. McDonald's breakfast was better than what was served here. If a hotel is going to do this kind of construction while guests are booked in the neighboring rooms, then inform them of it at the time of booking. I would have reserved a room else where as I did not pay full price for a loud substandard room while on vacation. This should have been my choice to make not a multimillion dollar hotels choice to make for me. I will not recommend Best Western nor will I stay here again. There are to many other hotel chains that are friendlier, more quiet, with better food, and that offer a better rewards program. Why would I ever stay at a Best Western when there is better for the same price?

I had an early international flight out of Honolulu so chose to spend my last night in Hawaii at the Best Western the Plaza. Rooms are fairly basic and a little dated, but a decent size and comfortable enough. Check-in was friendly and when I mentioned the ice machine outside my room was making a very loud noise it was attended to very quickly. There are a few fast food options nearby if you need to grab dinner - I wouldn't recommend walking the area alone at night though. I also had to walk to the airport at 5:00 in the morning (about 20 or so minutes) as the shuttle service hadn't started and I figured I wouldn't be able to get a taxi or Uber for the short a trip. Overall this hotel serves its purpose pretty well.

Arrived at midnight for seven hours of sleep before moving onto the next island. There was several people in the check in line, but they brought another person up to the desk to keep things moving. Room was nice enough. There's was a partially drank water bottle left in the fridge left by the previous guest, but clean otherwise. Bed was really low to the ground, Mattress was okay. Bathroom was small. Shower temperature kept changing throughout shower. Breakfast was pretty good. The shuttle back to the airport was very full. Overall, a good spot for some sleep before catching the next flight. It's very close to the airport, so that makes getting there very easy.

I enjoyed my stay & was really happy on the parking prices & no resort fees. I was given a deluxe room & enjoyed the bed & the spacious area in this room. Front desk personnel was awesome, they were very welcoming & got me a good deal.

Great hotel with all the needed ammnenities! Breakfast was great, staff was very helpful. Rooms were spacious, a bit dated but it had everything I needed. Would stay here again during transit & great part was free continental breakfast & free airport shuttle!

The room seemed clean upon arrival, but after stepping in a sticky and identifiable substance, my mind was changed. The beds were like sleeping on a couple of sheets on top of a piece of plywood in the shower, was the worst shower experience I've ever had, which was the water pressure equivalent to a leaky garden hose that kept constantly going from hot to cold.

We stayed here overnight on our way to/from New Zealand. The hotel is very convenient and only minutes from the airport via the free courtesy minibus. Even though we requested and received a “quiet” room on the opposite side of the hotel from the freeway, we still heard the freeway noise all night. The windows in the hotel are single pane aluminum and urgently need to be upgraded to modern windows that don't transmit the noise. However, that would be a very expensive retrofit. This is just a very noisy location! Both rooms we stayed in were clean, fairly large, and had a comfortable king bed and a decent size bathroom. However, the room furnishings, fixtures, and paint take us back to 1970's Hawaii. The mini-frig and microwave were nice pluses. The buffet breakfast and the exercise room were also nice amenities. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We recommend this hotel for an overnight stopover but not for a longer, relaxing holiday.

This hotel exceeded our expectations, we are family of three & we spent our thanksgiving week in hawaii, they gave us 2 beds with a nice view, love all the amenities, variety of choices for breakfast they even have a to go box in case you want to eat breakfast inside your room or bring it with you in your car as you head out to your destination. It's 30 minutes drive to kualoa ranch, & 45 min drive to polynesian cultural center, 5 min drive from the airport. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

This hotel is spotless and so mand beautiful. It is near airport and provudes shuttles almost all day. Ken is one of the shuttle drivers and i have walking issues. When ewe arrived he ;oaded and delivered our luggage to the room and when we left did the same in reverse. They have an awesome free breakfast and rooms were spotless and comfortable. It has handicqp accesable rooms with roll in shower. We will be staying there again on our return from Molakai and flight to mainland.

Great place to stay if you only have a layover in Honolulu! There are many eating places in walking distance, the staff is extremely helpful and shuttles run to the airport. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Best Western overnight and it was excellent. The staff is amazingly friendly, the room was large and very clean. I would definitely stay there again and would book for a longer vacation stay if it were close to the water (even though there is a very large clean pool). They have late check out and free, on time, shuttle service. I have stayed at other Best Westerns but by far this one is the "best"!

Staffs are super nice ! Nice location and after returning a car , I can walk to the hotel by 15 minutes. Breakfast was not too bad . Free shuttle from airport!! There was a short story happening when I check in. At the beginning, they arranged a room to us which was same with the picture what I saw in the website, but was not in the main building . Old equipment, smell so terrible, close the freeway…. I tried to talk to the front desk , what happened and I need to switch a room . Rose was so nice to help me to resolve it and she talked to me it was chosen by myself. Actually, I do not have any idea…. Finally, I paid extra $15 each night to change a room ( same I saw in the website but in the main building) It was my third time to book hotel from Best Western! 每个员工（前台/清洁）超级友好！ 早餐选择少，但是美味. 靠近机场，还车方便. 店里的超市很早就关门（好像7:30PM). 如果一开始没有给我安排那个莫名其妙的房间，我会给四颗星！

Our flight came in at 1130AM and the hotel was helpful in giving us the room early. They also let us check out and keep the luggage in storage. The shuttles were prompt and friendly. The only missing item was a water cooler.

I always stay at Best Westerns & appreciate the free breakfast. Parking is always convenient although sometimes charged for. Inquire. Rooms are always clean and staff friendly and helpful. Joined BW Rewards years ago and thankful for that option.

Conveniently located near the airport and away from traffic. Small hotel with pretty decent amenities. I utilized the gym that was clean and equipped for such a short stay. Appreciated the friendly staff all around.

More expensive than the usual Best Western but it's a pretty good hotel, obviously well located for airport access. Pros: • Good sized rooms, we had 2 queen beds and a good working desk and an armchair. Bathroom excellent size • Fridge and microwave • Everything in good working order • Comfortable new pillows, comfortable beds • Sparkling clean • Friendly staff at reception • Onsite shop selling snacks, milk, wine, beer, some other supplies. Expensive but handy. • Our room had a view of the runways • Quiet • A/C works well Cons (not biggies) • No USB ports • No coffee in reception • Bit of a rabbit warren, lots 12 stories and lots of rooms • Breakfast doesn't start till 7 – who offers free breakfast at an airport hotel and starts it that late? Most do 5am. We had to leave by 6am so didn't get breakfast

Exceptionally friendly ands helpful staff, including the front desk personnel and airport shuttle driver. The room was nice and clean, and everything was perfect. Staying at this airport hotel the night before my early morning flight, rather than rushing to the airport from my home in the very early morning, was a great decision.

For sure the staff are what make this hotel stand out. From the moment they answered my call to ask for the shuttle to pick me up, to the friendly check in experience, to the caring front desk staff who made sure I knew the details of the bus ride to Waikiki, to the housekeeping staff who pointed me to my room, to the staff at the breakfast bar, and even the driver who dropped me off at the airport when I left- all professional, courteous, and smiling genuinely. The room I stayed in was in the building surrounding the pool- it was clean when I got there and the air was running. The amenities were modern and functioning. I agree with some comments about the noise from the expressway, but that didn't bother me much. I still got a good night's sleep. The gym on the 12th floor was well equipped. Breakfast was decent, with basic options including a hot egg and cheese sandwich. Location close to the airport was excellent.

Not a nice area but close to airport. Loud street noise and could here everything happening in the hallways. Pool closed at sunset so kids were unable to even use. Grab and Go breakfast was a bottled water and granola bar so less than vending machine quality. Would not stay here again.

We had two nights in Honolulu and wanted to see a lot while we were there. I can not say enough about the convenience of staying so close to the airport when our time was precious while in Oahu. Our stay at the Best Western was excellent. Their shuttle picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. Our room was clean and the breakfast was great. We were able to drop off our rental car the night before we left and walk back to the hotel because it was so close. Also, we did not have to pay a resort fee at the Best Western. Last, but important, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Clean, friendly hotel. Conveniently close to the airport. Free airport shuttle with space for luggages. Great continental breakfast bar spread. They have amazing waffle makers for perfect, delicious waffles every time. Family friendly. We would stay here again if we had a layover in Hawaii.

This hotel was close to airport and they provided free shuttle from airport! They had very nice breakfast the next morning! Close distance to some food and shops which was a nice walk. They kindly called us a taxi in the morning to take us to the cruise pier.

Front desk needs more training and empathy towards disabled people. They are plastic . . . friendly on the outside but seem to have split personality. They don't say what they mean and don't mean what they say.

So turns out these guys can double your rate in the middle of your stay simply off of the fact that they can squeeze more money out of the military. Don't sign up for the rewards program because after 65 days of staying the stated there was no rewards because it wasn't a “qualifying rate” IT WAS MORE

The Plaza was exactly what it claims to be. We had no complaints. It's an airport hotel,… not a resort. It's a convenient stopover. Courtesy shuttle was great. Front desk staff friendly and professional. Our room was clean. We were on the highway side, and heard traffic, but the a/c fan ran and we slept fine. Great selection at breakfast buffet. We'd certainly return on a layover.

Loud… had to check in for breakfast and the lady was not kind… rooms need renovated old and seemed “dirty”. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Breakfast sandwiches were pre-made which is fine but they were not hot. Lots of people trying to get breakfast and the way it was set up did not have a good flow very hard to move around

If you need a hotel near the airport for one reason or another this hotel is a perfect solution. The room was tidy and clean staff were helpful, food options around within walking distance and the biggest asset is the complimentary shuttle service which saves a lot of headaches.

Overall, terrible hotel. When I first checked into the room, I noticed there was pee on the toilet seat. That pretty much summed up my experience here. The windows are very thin so the road noise was very loud making it difficult to sleep. The shower temperature would alternate between hot and cold which made the shower experience frightful. The breakfast the hotel offered was cold, already microwaved, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. They were pretty much inedible. More than half the guests were military so it looks like this hotel just preys on the government's money and could care less about the quality of the stay for those that are forced to stay there.

We booked this because we needed 1 night near the airport between connecting flights. The room was located under a highway overpass and was incredibly noisy. We rant he AC to cover the road noise but that was deafeningly loud. Interent dropped out repeatedly. I was disappointed considering the price.

Since it is an airport hotel, breakfast starting time should be cater for the first flight of the day, not 7:00am, a lot of customers miss the breakfast on the day, a takeaway pact is given, which is very basic ( a bottle of water, an apple, 2 muesli bar ).

Our room was quiet enough even with the highway next door. I have rarely had a negative experience with BWs and I must compliment The Plaza for their welcoming and helpful staff. We arrived early and were accommodated very quickly and cordially. The pool area was a nice size and everything was clean. Very little shade around the pool was a slight drawback but it was a palm tree lined area that was very pleasant. They have an airport shuttle starting at 6 a.m. and it isn't far. There are fast food places and other dining close by and of course there's uber eats... Recommend it for any traveler needing close airport access.

The Best Western Plaza Hotel is by far and away the best of the three airport hotels near the Honolulu Airport. Here you will find a friendly staff with an efficient bus service too and from your flights. There is an adequate morning breakfast provided. Airport hotels have a purpose. This one meets all expectations.

Nice hotel for the price. Convenient for families traveling with children. McDonald's next door. Starbucks , L & L, and pizza across the street. Pool is clean and inviting, overall a good value for the price.

My trip was mostly business and a day off to relax at the hotel. The location and price was ideal to where i was needed avoiding the tourism areas and the rush hour traffic. Places to eat within walking distance to affordable optional online order take out. Overall, the staff was attentive to your stay and provided a clean environment during the recent post COVID !9 in Hawaii.

The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. This a great place to stay as long as you aren't wanting a resort type atmosphere. The complimentary breakfast was a great start to the day. The room was very clean and comfortable The location is near the airport and their free shuttle is handy. Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona are very close by. It's about 20 minutes to Waikiki and down town from the hotel

We had an unexpected layover in Honolulu and when Delta Airlines offered this hotel, I was suspicious. My experience with hotels near airports is mixed. BUT, this hotel was a welcome travel oasis. It isn't just for HNL layovers. The hotel was filled with fun loving families, travelers to Pearl Harbor and beyond. Our room was quite, comfortable, and clean. We were without out luggage but the hotel provided toothbrushes and offered anything else we needed. The large breakfast room had good coffee and a nice selection of cold and hot self-service options. Another highlight was the proximity of the hotel to the airport. It was a very pleasant morning and rather than ride the shuttle we opted to walk the short distance to the Delta terminal (not having any luggage helped). I would definitely stay here again!

While this is an older hotel, it was very clean. Staff was great. On the way out we were going to miss breakfast at the hotel and they had grab bags for people like us. I'm not sure thrash we would want an extended stay there but for a short trip, We definitely stay again.

When we arrived at the hotel, it took as an hour to check-in because the employee at the front desk was helping another party. However, she noticed how many other guests were waiting to check-in but not once did she call for help/assistance from the other 4 people who walked in from the office and noticed the long line of people. Truly terrible customer service. They need to learn to smile more and be more customer friendly. And they say people from the east coast are rude!!!!

This is a very nice property located a mile from the airport. Our room was clean, modern and had everything we needed for our stay. The room was very spacious but the bathroom was very cramped. My only concern about the room was the maid service. The first day of our stay, we went out for the day and when we returned, our room had not been serviced. Was advised that we had to let them know at check in if we wanted service. Most properties you let them know if you don't want service. But they quickly took care of the issue and all was good. for the rest of our stay. The hotel has a parking garage which was reasonably priced. All of the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The property has an on-site store with good hours , pool and an on-site laundry with plenty of washing machines and dryers. Breakfast was complimentary and was average. Would have liked to have seen more hot selections such as eggs or sausage. The rooms had nice views of the city.. My only issue with the property and it was significant for me is the lack of a 24 hour shuttle, which in my opinion, is a must for an airport hotel. Our flight left very early and we had to take a cab to the airport because the shuttle had limited hours. We had a good stay and would stay here again if we were in the area.

Best western plaza at the airport near HNL The staff was competent, friendly and understanding. The accommodations met our needs. The hotel is conveniently located to Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam and the Navy Exchange/Commissary. It is also close to the bus route and many fast food eateries, e.g., McDonald's, Starbucks, L & L Drive Inn, Blimpie's, Dunkin' Donuts, IHOP, etc.

We had to find a last second place to stay due to our flight being rerouted. The good: the staff were friendly and very helpful. The bad: We were in a jamb but were not allowed to stay in one room as a family 2 adults 4 kids. They made us get two rooms at a cost of almost $500 for one night. Location- right next to the freeway and industrial type area. Outdated- place is need of freshening up especially paying that kind of money. Breakfast- awful options. Prepackaged everything.

It's a pity there has been no attempt to lessen the noise of the 3 levels of highway right next to the hotel. In fact Amazing this hotel even received permission to be built. There can't possibly be a room that could be recommended. They must be better hotels!

WiFi didn't work in my room, although it did in other areas of the hotel. I notified the staff about this several times, but they never seemed terribly concerned about such. Otherwise, things were fine.

Stayed one night with my wife. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Two minutes from the airport. Shuttle came in just a few minutes. Good value for the money. Will stay here again!

I cannot say enough about the staff at this Best Western! Laura, Sharon and Harold were FANTISTIC! As a woman traveling alone with a 1 year male Labrador, the staff went way beyond what would be expected! To be helpful, thoughtful and kind. From helping me get a Taxi from the quarantine area, to the hotel, to helping me get back out the next morning with my dog, to complete our journey. A very stressful time made much easier do to all of their willingness to help.

My Bondi building had 8 hrs of electrical generator repairs there no power, elevators, water, internet, etc. Spendt the day until 4 pm checkout target than be at home'trapped". BW D ONLY 1.2 MIKE'S AWAY.

It's a bit difficult to rate this via stars. The lobby is large and clean, the hotel check in and out is clear and quick, the staff nice. The breakfast buffet is limited, but it does have yogurt and cereal, oranges and apples, instant oatmeal, wrapped sweet muffin, juices, so not great, but better then some hotels. The hotel room we were in was comfortably large with two supportive beds, and clean, Except for the tub. I have noticed this before, the hotel is so concerned with the virus, that they clean the sinks and counters and desks with extra effort, but forget the normal cleaning things. We ended up cleaning the tub/shower ourselves, as we didn't notice until the morning we checked out. We notified the front staff on check out, and she was apologetic. She got us to the airport outside the every hour on the hour shuttle service, so while that dinged them, overall, I would stay here again.

I have stayed at better Best Westerns, but this one is alright. The thing that really sucks is that you have to pay to park on the property. Yes, even guests of the Best Western has to pay. To me that is extremely wrong that even staying there the guests have to pay. But, they make themselves feel better by having you pay half rate.

Hotel is located near Honolulu airport. Location was fine & service is average. Room was clean, didn't use the pool. Didn't like their breakfast offer at all, need improvement in free breakfast category and printer!

We arrived late into Honolulu and missed our connecting flight to Kauai. It was late and being exhausted decided for our closest option since to get to the hotel in. The hotel is like stepping into a time warp. 1970? Thank goodness the room was exceptionally clean and we were able to get some sleep before heading back to the airport. The rooms are extremely noisy due to the location next to the freeway. The shuttle runs every hour. Seriously? The hotel is 5 minutes to the airport and should be shuttling people every at least on the half hour. Nope. Got to the airport for an additional hour waiting there for our flight.

We enjoyed our stay! The staff was amazing, our room was comfortable and clean! Location of course is prime! Overall, we were satisfied with everything at the Best Western ❤️ we will be back for sure.

The hotel was ok. Pillows could use an update but beds were decent. The room was clean at arrival but the maid does not come often, I was told every 3 days but it was longer than that. The most annoying thing we had to deal with was never having enough towels. Our reservation was for 4 guests, the room had 2 towels and 1 washcloth when we arrived. Everyday I had to ask for towels, sometimes twice because they'd never bring them for 4 guests! When maid service took away dirty towels they were not replaced daily.(dirty towels must be left in the hall since the maid doesn't clean daily). I wondered if they expected us to share towels or especially washcloths since we reserved for 4 guests but no one seemed to remember that no matter how many times I said it.

Our family (Dad, Mom and two sons (12 and 10)) needed a hotel to spend the first night in Hawaii after a long day of travelling (>16 hrs). The check-in process did not go well. It took over 1/2 hr. because their credit card scanner was not working and our card kept getting blamed. Later that evening they confirmed the problem was on their end. We only spent one night and did not want to spend longer.

I stayed here after flying overnight into HNL and it did the trick. The hotel is very close to the terminals and easily is within walking distance. We were put in the older part of the hotel and had our doubts from the outside. The hotel is surrounded on two sides by highways and overpasses that are very loud! The room was clean and surprisingly modern despite the age of the hotel. The AC in the room was loud enough to block out the road noise. With it off the room wasn't terribly loud though either. The bed was comfortable though and I slept well! The Plaza is ok and of the limited airport hotels near HNL it is probably your best option.

My boyfriend and I missed our flight back home and had to last minute book a stay overnight before our standby flight the next morning. Best Western was a mile away from the airport so we decided to go with that. For it being last minute, I was happy they had a last minute room for us. The only slight complaint is I feel it could have been a little cheaper but I know these are covid times so I happily took the cheapest room. In addition, they provided a complimentary shuttle in & out of the airport which was SUPER convenient. We also was happy with the complimentary breakfast which saved us money the next morning. Our room was comfortable & pretty big for a standard room. Overall pleasantly surprised with our stay. Thank you Best Western for making our stressful situation better! Will recommend.

I'm local - not a tourist but I would not recommend this hotel at all. The floors were filthy - I mean, absolutely disgusting & I had to wear my slippers inside because of the filth. Internet is extremely slow & problematic. I experienced lots of connectivity problems/interference during virtual business/work meetings. If you need to depend on the internet at all during your stay then you should not stay here. The sliding glass door from my room was extremely difficult to open/close & does not work properly. This created issues when I needed to let my dog out to potty. The only good thing about this hotel is they do allow pets but you're better off with an AirBnB if you have a dog/cat. Breakfast was crappy which is mainly due to covid & is somewhat understandable. However, if you're providing fruit then it really needs to be ripe enough to actually eat & with the exception of one apple it wasn't. The front desk workers cannot properly communicate the total cost of the stay. I asked repeatedly if the amount I was given was the total with all taxes/fees/etc & then was charged extra both times (I added on an additional night partway thru my stay). I like to know exactly what I'm paying in advance & they weren't able to give me accurate answers from multiple employees. Also, when you reserve the room in advance they don't actually charge your card until you're at the hotel which makes check-in take even longer. The price I was given on the supposed reservation email turned out to be only about half of the charges for the original 2 night stay (email confirmation said $~360/front desk told me repeatedly the total would be $511, and then I was charged $535 for the original 2 night stay). When I added on one extra night I ended up being charged more than $810 total (despite the front desk assuring me the total would be no more than $780). It's a small amount of money in the end but it needs to be communicated to the customer properly every single time. Kama'aina get half off the parking fees but that's it. So, $15/day instead of $30/day for parking. The noise is very loud & there are lots of gaps around the doors/sliding doors which let extra noise seep in & the AC can't keep the room cooled properly. This hotel is extremely overpriced for what you get. I don't really recommend it unless you have literally no other options.

I have stayed here numerous times over several years for work related visits. The staff has always been helpful, friendly and courteous. The location is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Will return again.

Originally I picked this hotel as it was near the airport, with free shuttle service and I wanted a quick place to rest after a long Trans-Pacific flight. I'm so impressed, though I'd stay here again even if I was spending a few days in Honolulu. The staff are fantastic--friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable--nothing fancy, but the price is 1/2 that of a Waikiki hotel. If you just use a hotel to sleep, this will do the trick! Best of all for the budget-minded, The Bus stops right outside the hotel and $5.50 gets you an all-day pass. It's about an hour to central Waikiki, and even shorter the other way to Pearl Harbor. On the downside, not a lot of restaurants nearby you can walk to at night. I didn't expect a lot out of this hotel, but was very pleasantly surprised.

When I checked out of my room, I left my Kindle e-reader behind, by mistake. The housekeeping staff turned it in promptly. Originally I had planned to pick it up 3 weeks later when I returned to Honolulu, and they agreed to keep it safe until my return. Because of coronavirus, my plans changed, and I did not stop over in Honolulu. I called the housekeeping manager to explain the change in plans, and she worked with me to send it back safely to me at my home in California. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I'm sure you can imagine how differently this could have turned out. I'm very grateful to the hotel staff and would definitely stay here again.

Honestly, I was not expecting much but the hotel seems to have gotten a nice renovation and the rooms look brand new. While it is still a Best Western, the room looks refreshing and I love the bed. There are both a mini fridge and microwave inside the room. The WIFI (free for Best Western members) also works very well. However, the window remains extremely dirty and they need replacement. I also want to remark on the shuttle service, which was quite good. I was picked up quickly from the airport (although the airport should have better signs), and on my return, they have a shuttle to the airport every thirty minutes twenty four hours a day. I still think they ought to have a better airport hotel in Honolulu but will have no issue coming back to this Best Western in the future if I have a short layover.

Clean and convenient place if you need to be near HNL Airport or Kaiser Permanente. Very quiet. Nice store in the front lobby if you need snacks, toiletries and beverages. Clean room, not cramped for space. A bit expensive to me, but you pay for convenient access to airport I guess.

We have stayed at the Best Western Plaza Hotel twice now, wanting to be near the airport for a morning flight out. The hotel is clean, the rooms are very nice, comfortable beds, and a good breakfast in the morning with a good selection of foods. Staying at the Plaza Hotel enabled me to turn in my rental car the evening before my flight, catch a shuttle back to the hotel, get a good nights sleep, and then good breakfast, before catching another shuttle to the airport for my flight. It beats trying to fight Honolulu traffic early in the morning. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and accommodating.

Kind staff, clean room, free transport to and from airport. BUT, this motel is located in an industrial type area with freeways right beside it. Horrible location. Loud noise from freeways. Nothing nearby for good food and just concrete and buildings and parking yards for surroundings. Really horrible if you expect more than just going to sleep. It's Hawaii, right? I would not stay here again. Better to pay for a taxi to someplace nice with plants and tropical feel. If you only need a quick airport crash pad, it is suitable, clean, nice staff.

We spent the night here while stopping en route to Australia. It is everything that they advertise here on Trip Advisor. It is nice and close to the airport. The shuttle picked us up about 15 minutes after we called the hotel. There was a good and hot breakfast buffet with real scrambled eggs, fruit, pastry choices, etc. We used regular dinner plates, coffee cups, and metal eating utensils, not plastic, foam, and paper. Although it's close to the airport, we never really heard airplanes. Ask for a room as far away from the freeway as possible. It is a very busy road. The pool was not in operation, but they offer to take you to their sister property so you can use the pool there. We stayed here before (in July, 2018) and we will probably stay here again.

Our family had an early morning flight and wanted a place near the airport. We thought with a free breakfast and shuttle to the airport this hotel would be a good choice. But unfortunately there were several problems. First, there was no place to park the minivan while we unloaded passengers and luggage, there was only one slot for a compact car. Once inside there was confusion at the desk about the booking being prepaid through a third party service. After that was cleared up, I was given a room key and went to the room. When I unlocked and opened the door, there was a man lying there on the bed. He gave me a surprised look and I apologized and quickly closed the door. The front desk clerk apologized and gave me a different room, but there was no mention of discounting the room or any other accommodation by way of apology. We could not take advantage of the free breakfast because we had to leave at 6:00 a.m., and breakfast wasn't available until 6:30. I would never go back there.

For the price, you'd expect it to be closer to other top brand name hotels and because other hotels are higher priced, most families pick this one. But honestly for $35 more, you get a better hotel, more spacious, more amenities and less dirtier. And don't have to worry about the highway or airport noise that they don't tell you about, just that they are conveniently located, that means were nosier. I would suggest anyone deciding to stay here really look, price other hotels, we had a 7 night stay and checked out after 2 days to go to a different hotel. Not worried about the convenience of being located to an airport if that airport keeps me up at night. Lobby staff was nice, but the room was small, you cannot close the bathroom door without stepping all the way in. Just not spacious and roomy enough for us.

Loved our room, was surprised how nice it was, better than many Hyatt rooms we have been in, and room 1020 is a corner with large windows and amazing views of the Airport and city , no beach but then I see the beach every day, we enjoyed all the lights at night. The airport is right next door but we did not hear a thing.

This has to be the absolute worst hotel I've ever encountered at any price . I see from other reviews that the elevator issue is not a new one . The management rationalizes that a part needed to repair the elevator must be obtained from the mainland . Flights arrive on this island continuously with capability to deliver needed repair parts . In this instance the part is apparently being brought over from the mainland on a canoe . The staff makes it sound like the customer is being done a favor by being assigned a room in the courtyard area , be prepared to encounter full blast freeway noise . The room was expensive and had we known how this experience would turn out , there are multitudes of infinitely better places we would have booked . I have a feeling management is constantly on the defensive in these reviews because there is so much to criticize about this horrible place . I really tried hard to find one good thing to write about this establishment but there is absolutely nothing I can compliment .

Really loud road noise- find another hotel! We stayed at this hotel to help facilitate the trip back to Dallas. It was awful. I usually do not write negative reviews!!!Save yourself and your hearing!!!

I stayed here on my return trip with an overnight layover. This hotel is much nicer than the airport hotel down the road and only for $10 more. If you're trying to decide where to stay, stay here and not there. You won't regret it.

Arrived on 2/5 only to find out that one of the 2 elevators was down and has been down for the entire time that I was here. Trying to get down to the lobby in the morning especially is terrible, you will literally wait for 20 minutes or more as the elevator not only is trying to pick up people leaving/checking out but also the cleaning teams are trying to get from floor to floor. Sometimes when the elevator finally gets to your floor it is to full to even get on, so you wait again unless you want an aerobic workout doing the stairs. Our room had roaches to greet us upon entering. Parking can be a bit tight if you return to late as there are not enough parking spaces. There is a fairly decent free breakfast each morning and if you join the Best Western club you can get half price on your parking. I would not recommend this location if you want the resort feel as it is located under a freeway under path. 10-15 minutes ride to Waikiki. Pool and gym if interested but truly more of a overnight hotel. If you really want to be close to the airport this is your place, close to all car rentals Could be good place if you are on a budget, but definitely not a resort vibe

As other reviewers gave noted, this is the closest hotel to the airport. Don't stay here and expect a resort hotel. We were flying back from Asia, the on to the UA east coast, so used this hotel as a one night stay over. The property is worn but serviceable. Had an 11th floor room and had no issue with noise. My photo shows the rooms to avoid if you do not want freeway noise! Maybe they are cheaper? Rented a car from the airport and returned it before staying over to avoid the parking fee. (Walkable). The breakfast, other than the eggs and coffee, was good. Elavators often took a few minutes and staff was friendly. So if you need a stay over hotel this is suitable. Don't expect a resort setting.

The property is a dated, but what makes this hotel work for travelers is the airport proximity. If you're coming in late, it's a good place to recharge before beginning your travels. Coming in from the US east coast we checked in at 9 PM, but if felt like 2 AM. Having a free shuttle to pick us up and the next day drop us off at the rental car agency was extremely helpful. The breakfast is priced at $18.95 for non-guest, included with say. A good assortment of food items and they offer an "on-the-go" option as well. If you're staying longer, the units around the pool might be a better option.

We stayed at this property one night upon arrival from the mainland. We called the hotel and the shuttle arrived very quickly. We were given a large room on the 12th floor. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast. Due to an early-morning flight, we were in the queue when the breakfast room opened. The hostess was very nice. The chefs were waiting as the crowd was huge. That being said, we found a table and were able to enjoy a hot breakfast. We used the shuttle to return to the airport. There was a queue just outside the front door. Again, the driver was helpful and the ride back was quick. We would definitely stay here again if we were in transit.

You might as well save your money and sleep in your car under the freeway! Rediculous location under the freeway! No sleep, no rest, NO comfort! Hotel should be torn down--because i can tell that the owner is not going to spend a few million to soundproof it! If they continue to book rooms as is, they should charge like fifty dollars, and let ALL the customers know that this is just a place next to the airport where you can put your luggage in a room, watch tv, snack, BUT NOT SLEEP!

We stayed here overnight during our trans-Pacific layover. Free wheelchair accessible transportation to and from the airport. Breakfast was included. No restaurant for dinner but there are a few places walking distance right around the hotel.

We needed a hotel close to the airport with shuttle service. We were happy with our stay and staff at howl and shuttle were pleasant and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Although adjacent to the highway and airport after awhile you don't notice the noise. I would stay here again if in the area.

this hotel did not meet our expectations, the key I should have picked up on is the price. however we chose it due to it's location to the airport and the free shuttle. I will never stay there again. the only pluses I already mentioned. Cons: old outdated, dirty carpets, rooms are small, so only 2 (supposed to be double beds) more like twins. these rooms should have a single queen bed only. multiple layers of paint noted. corners dirty, no water pressure, if you turned on the cold water then your shower was cold. if you just used the hot then it was too hot. this hotel acepts pets, it allows pets to use the grass are that is around the pool as a place to do their business!, they provide pick up bags and signs that say pet waste causes disease1 but no enforcement. what a joke. the pool are is loaded with flys! I wonder why. this is a health issue and the Hawaii department of health should take a look at this. I will be notifing them. hepatitis A is a concern. the breakfast items were all cold. do not be fooled. if you don't want to stay in the Wakiki madness stay near Ala Moana. run from this Best Western.

If you don't expect too much you'll be ok for one night. Cleaners keep this place spotless but still very old and carpet has musty smell and building looks like old 1950's motel. I would not stay here if you are in honolulu for more than a day. It coasts around $20-30 to waikiki by Uber for one way and end up coasting more than staying in Waikiki area. If you're flying out next morning yes this place will be fine since they have free shuttle. Several rent car places are walking distance so since we stayed 2 nights we just rented a car for a day and returned it on the same day so we didn't have to pay $30 parking fee. Breakfast is pretty bad but workers were working really hard so we don't run out of food. There was McDonald across from this place and few places to eat. Just for one night you'll be fine.

From the map, it looked like the beach was walking distance, this was not true. After the initial disappointment and renting a car, we enjoyed our time in Oahu - Honolulu. Need mattress toppers and update coffee machines.

Well what can I say myself and husband stayed here for our honeymoon and while it's close to a highway and the airport we found the staff amazing breakfast was yummers and the transport links to the island are just out of this world. We only needed a place to end the day and start the day as we like to go and explore and the staff where amazing and helping us plan things to do. When we wanted to start the day later we went by the pool and relaxed which was nice regardless of the noise, the fact you had places to eat right at the back of the hotel was good as well. If you want a place close to the airport and away from the hustle of waikiki then you should stay here. Each person is treated as a part of their ohana. Mahaloe best Western

This is a great hotel. It's away from Waikiki traffic and close to the airport. Yes, its close to the freeway so you can hear traffic. What we do to counter the noise is carry our noise makers (got them from amazon for under $50 and they fit in your luggage or backpack). I recommend reserving a bigger room if traveling with several pieces of luggage (we lave lots of luggage because we are usually there on business). If you travel light, the smaller room may suffice. Parking garage is like all other garages, tight. It costs $30/night but cost us $15/night because we are Gold Crown Members. Breakfast is included, usually count on scrambled eggs, oatmeal, rice, mini pancakes, fruit, etc. They alternate between Portuguese sausage and sausage links, with bacon once a week. Also, if you go early, you can usually get right in. If you go with tourists, you may have to wait for a table. But its not usually a long wait. The bed slept good. TV can suck because the signal breaks up on some channels (but most people don't even use the TV while there). Housekeeping is extremely polite and friendly and cater to whatever you may need. Mercy took care of us most of the time (we were in room #805) and she is the BEST!!! The only down fall to our last visit was on our last day. We waited thru 6 elevators before we could get on along with a cart full of luggage. Evidently, as it gets closer to the New Year, it gets more and more crowded. But its all good - we got out without too much delay. We will definitely be staying here again.

Overnight stay as we had an early flight. Arrived early & no problem with storing our luggage while we looked around Waikiki. we walked from the airport - easy 15 minute flat walk. Check in easy. Hotel is very close to freeway & you can hear the cars. I slpet better than I expected, but it may be worth asking for a room away from the freeway. We left to early to have breakfast. Used the shuttle to get to the airport & it was very effecient - leabing every 30 minutes. Would stay again for an overnight

The only good thing about this hotel is it's efficient shuttle to/from airport. Otherwise be ware that half the hotel is actually a horribly insecure motel with no elevator to second floor. So if you have luggage, do not allow them to put you by the pool on 2nd floor. There are secure gates around this section of the motel, but BW actually props them open so anyone can enter and we saw zero security on premises. I am visibly a sick person who has trouble just walking up stairs and they didn't warn us, ask if stairs were ok or offer any help on getting to our rooms with no elevator service and we had 2 50-pound suitcases. It was a nightmare, but there are few choices near this airport.

Me and my family was staying in this hotel for one day on December 23, 2019 during our visit to Oahu, Hi. Though we prefer to stay in ocean view room, but, we booked this hotel, because we arrived in Honolulu Airport at about 11 PM and this hotel is very close to Airport and hotel have free Airport shuttle. After arriving and collecting our luggage, we called the hotel and they directed us the location,where we should obtain that shuttle. when we arrived, we found that shuttle was already there (though they informed shuttle would arrive between 5 to 20 minutes). Shuttled driver helped us for lifting and placing our bags in shuttle as well as deporting at hotel. It was about 5 minutes drive from Airport to hotel. At hotel we need to wait for few minutes for check-in but process was very smooth. We got room at 12th floor (heights level of that hotel) and we also want the same. There were 2 elevator in that hotel and as a result we had no problem to reach our room. Room was nice and well decorated. TV with cable, freeze, coffee maker, microwave, free wi-fi and climate control were available in the room. but, in climate control system, they have only scope for cooling the room, but, no scope for heating. For raising temperature inside room, need to stop the climate control system and room temperature will rise naturally. they have one computer and printer in the lobby. Guest can use it and print required documents in black and white free of cost. This hotel provide free hot buffet breakfast from 6 to 10 AM in restaurant adjoining to the hotel. after that this portion use at restaurant for this hotel. Breakfast quality was very good and varieties items were available to it, which were in my opinion better than average. Free shuttle from hotel to airport was also available every half an hour. Guest should inform at least 10 minutes before. They have also car parking facilities but, they charged 430 per day for general guest and $15 per day for Best Western members. Our overall experience of our staying was very good and we recommend this hotel for staying near Honolulu Airport.

You aren't spoiled for choice at the airport for an overnighter, but as we were away early we needed to be close and this place seemed to fit the bill. The shuttle came really quickly after we called from the airport on the courtesy phone and we were quickly checked in. We were located more on the motel side in 205 which we got to be carrying our cases up two flights of stairs. The room faced the road opposite and to be honest didn't look in the safest of places. The room itself was fine, decent bed, storage space and bathroom. No safe though which would have been useful. View from the window was into the pool complex. We had a reasonable nights sleep here. The shuttle runs every 30 mins and we were on the 5.30 shuttle. Breakfast is complimentary and starts at 6, so we missed this, however they do a grab and go bag which they hand out from 5.30.... but the shuttle went at 5.30 so we couldn't get that either. I did ask but the staff were very inflexible with this. There is a small shop in the hotel for groceries, alcohol etc. Overall for what we paid $180 I didn't think it was great value. The location is good though and for one night it is what it is. HNL could do with some more options though.

We found this hotel on Expedia.ca. Reasonable rates and clean hotel. Very accommodating for late flight from Vancouver Canada with a free shuttle to/from the airport. Helpful and welcoming reception. Excellent buffet included in the morning from 6:30 am. Some hotels charge up to $40.00 each and serve it in the lobby. This hotel has a full on buffet in a restaurant setting with lots of tables and chairs. Great staff and non guests even come there for breakfast and pay it's so good! Loud if you're at the pool due to access to main overpass and highway. In our room we didn't notice. We returned for a late return flight for a reasonable price. They'll store your luggage too. Uber to cruise terminal the next morning was $12.00 Taxi from cruise terminal was $25.00 Would stay again. Great for an overnight or late night flight.

I always stay here during my recurrent airline training. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star is that they stopped serving dinner on property and there can sometimes be noise, but I keep coming back. My last stay was quiet. Staff is friendly. They offer a shuttle to the sister property where you can have a sit down meal.

Located close to the airport and served by a 24-hr airport shuttle, this hotel is a good choice for travelers with late arrivals or early departures. The staff were very warm and friendly and did their best to make us feel welcome. Breakfast buffet was tasty and varied with selections running from waffles and pastries to scrambled eggs and sausage links. We had a large corner room on the 11th floor (1105) that felt very spacious. The bed was firm and about average for comfort. The bath was also about average size, but the tub/shower was tiny and old. Unfortunately, the memory that might stay with us the longest is the noise from the Nimitz Fwy., which was right outside the window. The rooms come pre-equipped with earplugs to help address this problem, but this solution won't work for everyone.

Room was clean . Quite a bit of road noise even on the 10th floor due to elevated highway ( Nimitz Hwy ) right alongside the hotel . Bed comfortable and nice clean bathroom . Breakfast was good with multiple food choices . In keeping with the Islands of Hawaii the price for lodging and for breakfast was rather high . This hotel appeared to be one of the better deals in Honolulu. Free shuttle to the airport was an added plus . Area itself - immediately along and under the Nimitz Highway - does not inspire a person to want to go out and take a walk . Shares the problem as in all of Oahu - homeless and panhandlers everywhere. Can be a bit daunting!

Rooms are adequate and clean. Very quiet for being near the airport. Free Shuttle is an excellent service to and from the airport. Front desk staff are knowledgeable and prepared to provide information and pamphlets for restaurants and local attractions. The surprising highlight of our stay was the free breakfast buffet! James who worked the food area was wonderful! There was Gluten Free bread, reg bread, pastries, real scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. Soy milk, real half and half, and real butter were also available. It was a treat! I have had breakfasts at five star hotels that were not this good! Our gluten free kid could eat without a worry! Thanks for everything!

Was a central location for all we did. Great place to stay,friendly staff, close to Airport, good breakfast. Comfortable and affordable. The only downfall was having to pay to park your car after you already are paying to stay.

Everything about my stay was excellent. I needed a place close to the airport for an early morning departure, and was delighted by the ease afforded by each employee at every step of the way - from the phone call for a pick-up at the airport to check-in, additional services requested at times, to the quick check-out and ride back to the airport. The window even opened for air flow, which was a big plus. The entire staff held an attitude of helpfulness and excellence.

Very good breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage and lots more...diamond member so upgraded to a large room (no suites in hotel). Our room was on 7th floor and very quiet. We got a free cot. Hotel hallway and carpet is dated and needs an update but pool area is lovely with lots of palm trees. Great for our needs we arrived late and have a cruise the next day. Staff very friendly and polite!

My friends and I stopped here overnight on the way to a cruise departing from Melbourne. The free shuttle from the airport was easy. Check in for me was fine although my friends who arrived around 10pm had a few problems. I would have given the hotel a better rating if there had been a restaurant on site. However there is a shop that sells snacks and sandwiches. The room was comfortable. We could have used a few more charging outlets. Free breakfast was included and was tasty. The return shuttle driver was very helpful. It leaves every half hour.

We stopped here on our way from Australia to mainland USA. This hotel is close to the airport. We called the hotel on the courtesy phone near the exit of international arrivals. Driver was helpful and pleasant. Check in was early which was greatly appreciated after a long flying day. We were allocated a room on the 10th floor which overlooked the pool and looked towards the direction of the north shore. The room was a standard 2 double beds. The bathroom was small and tight. The area had a few eateries. McDonalds was right next door. I must say that the hotel is close to the highway and is noisy. We did sleep but were woken up by rather loud motorcyclists who obviously like to hear loud tune their bikes make...not my cup of tea! All in all I would say this was a good place for a brief stay.

Stayed here for a night before I left to spend the rest of my vacation in Hawai'i Kai. The airport shuttle was convenient and prompt pick-up when we arrived. Breakfast buffett was great, many options and staff kept items well stocked and fresh. Rooms were comfortable and there is noise due to the hotel being so close to the airport, but that is expected and did not deter us from having a pleasant stay!

The hotel staff were ver gracious. The service was excellent. The room was spacious and clean. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel was quick and timely. The hotel and the room were clean and everything functioned as one would hope for.

I selected this location in regard to proximity to a conference venue. The reception staff was terrific! The room was adequate but there was NO way to adjust the very cold AC unit! The hidden fee charged at at arrival was an unwelcome surprise. $30 parking fee was reduced 50% only by registering for the Rewards Program.

No, not noisy. LOUD!! The freeway is next door which produces massive noise. That, together with a loud airco unit makes it almost impossible to sleep. Outdated room, but with renovated bathroom. Was it really that loud? My apple watch registered over 85dB.

Room old building on BW was renovated and clean. Espl the bathroom. The a/c was weak- but room was very quiet and comfy. Staff was very kind and caring and precise. Everything is spic and span. Food at breakfast buffet was great- and free- what more can you ask for. Wifi also good.

Hotel is older and dated. Staff ties to make up for it and the place is ok. Clean and if you need a quick place by HNL this is it although the value isnot that good. Free shuttle is helpful saved renting a car

The location is truly near the airport. That is the ONLY plus. The entrance to the hotel is sketchy. The rooms facing the highway are not only noisy, but dingy and poorly decorated. The entire hotel looks tired. I did not see the courtyard where the pool is, so I have no comment there. I hope it is nice and clean because I saw kids headed there in the elevator.

We needed a place to crash before flying home and preferred a hotel with airport shuttle service. Although BW is not a 1st choice when we are traveling, only 2 hotels offered an airport shuttle. Pros: Large room, comfortable bed, expansive breakfast included, reasonably priced, shuttle service. Cons: Despite the room size, the bathroom is tiny and I'm not sure you would have enough room to bathe a child. Second, due to its location, the rooms are very noisy so crank up the white noise app on your phone or wear earplugs. Despite the drawbacks, I would stay here again pre-flight but would look elsewhere to use as a base to explore Oahu.

Over the last several years I have made the Best Western brand my hotel of choice when travelling both on business and pleasure as this trip happened to be. My wife and I elected to stay an extra few days in Honolulu after our 11 day cruise. Normally I will check out where the BW location happens to be but did not do it this time (my biggest regret). Since we were using our pts (the price was right) but location was not. The hotel is a great fit for those travelling in from the airport but not so much if you are wanting to be in the downtown or beach areas. Bus ride almost an hour, 'cheap but not so convenient'. Taxi fare $35.00 to $40.00. Hotel is dated, and if you are a light sleeper between the highway traffic and air traffic can be tough to sleep or stay a sleep. Front desk staff great to deal with as are housekeeping. Breakfast is provided but nothing to rave about. Hot and cold items but limited selection. There is free shuttle to and from airport. Hotel does have an outside pool although we didn't use it does look well kept. For those smokers, there is a place outside by the pool. Again, location, location, location!

My stayed was good at the Best western. Af first the room we stayed was too noisy from the highway. The service desk was so kind and quick to changed our room to a more quiet room. It made our stayed more enjoyable and pleasant.

Comfortable room, bed sheets were surprisingly soft and silky, room was spacious and clean, and breakfast buffet was hot and tasty. They constantly brought out fresh food and tables were quickly cleaned. We were spending less than 24 hours on Oahu and this place was conveniently located super close to the airport and provided us with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again. The added perk is you don't have to pay those ridiculously expensive resort fees!

I stayed with Best Western in Honolulu for a month, and the service was phenomenal. Breakfast was amazing, staff were extremely friendly, and problem resolution were prompt. Highly recommend to those visiting Oahu.

Rooms in the courtyard are expectedly noisy from the highway traffic, but the noise is partially drowned by the air-conditioning unit. Rooms are spacious, although the bathroom has no sink. Front desk staff are helpful. Good enough for an overnight stay near the airport, specially because they have free airport shuttles (use a US sim to contact them once you're in the HNL airport) & free breakfast

The desk staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was good and a good sized room. However, the pillows were uncomfortable, there was poor air conditioning and no locker for valuables. This hotel is very close to airport.

Great experience at the Best Western near the Daniel K. Inouye airport in Honolulu. Ms. Mena and Mr. Dujon provided outstanding service and were very caring and sincere. Rooms were kept very clean and comfortable.Location of the hotel is very central to everything.

My wife and I traveled to Honolulu for a wedding and stayed at this hotel. The hotel is located near the airport. You would think that the hotel being so close to the airport that you would hear the planes come and go, but it was relatively quiet. So that was great. We stayed at this hotel for a week and the staff was awesome. The breakfast in this hotel is one of the best I've had by far. I would not hesitate to book a room at this location.

Stayed at Best Western and for that brand and image I had $170 is high price, but I must tell you, place was a way better than what my expectation was. Property is clean and seem as it was refurbish not so long ago. Still the rate shall be around $100, but I guess market is the king! I did not have breakfast so I cannot say much about that. Driver from shuttle was on time and friendly, check in smooth so what else to add, next time you are to stay around Honolulu airport, there goes your choice.

This Best Western is walking distance to the Honolulu airport, which we did with suitcases, but also has a shuttle service. It is centrally located in Oahu, four miles from Pearl Harbor and has.parking facilities. Their breakfast buffet is well worth the stay and the breakfast “manager” is a five star gentleman!

If you need a hotel close to the airport that offers a free shuttle and a substantial breakfast included in the price, then this is the place to stay. If your looking for a quiet relaxing hotel, this is not the place. Convenience is what this hotel offers. It does have a nice pool, and is walking distance to some fast food places, but it's close enough to the freeways and surface streets that there is a constant drone of vehicle noise.

The staff was friendly a speedy check in and check out. The rooms were clean. Overall i would highly stay at the hotel again. The employees were very friendly and welcoming. The lobby area was simply but very modern.

I gave this property a 4 on service because of James at the Plaza Cafe and his staff. Having breakfast in the cafe every morning with an amazing host made us want to keep coming back. James shows his aloha to every person that walks in to the cafe and he engages with his guests and pays attention to detail and knows you and the reason for your visit by the time you leave. Security and Housekeeping were amazing and very helpful during our 4 day stay and they were very prompt and friendly. I'm sad to say that front desk for me was a disappointment. I expected to see the Aloha Spirit as they cater to many diversities including locals. I can honestly say that 3 people out of the entire front desk staff during my stay were friendly and very helpful. If I didn't see those 3 I dreaded going to the front desk. The one name I remember is Rose. She was not helpful nor friendly and just stared at her computer screen while I spoke to her. I greeted her with a smile and hello and she just looked at me as if I was bothering her and asked another girl who was friendly to help me validate my parking ticket, which btw I had to keep validating daily. When at the gate calling for help to let me out seemed like a chore for whoever was on the other side. It was the same thing everyday, you need to pull another ticket and validate at the front desk. Or repeatedly telling me what I've already heard and took up time that I needed to be at the hospital instead of wasting on trying to get out of the garage. Other than that and being locked out of my room late at night, we enjoyed our room along with going to the cafe every morning, speaking with the friendly housekeeping staff and security it was great. Mahalo Nui!

This structure is located very close to the airport. They also have a free shuttle that you can call to take you there. We stayed here because we had a very early flight the day after so it was one of the only options. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy the included breakfast because of the early leave.

We were moving to the Island and were not going to get the house we wanted for weeks. The Best Western The Plaza hotel was a cost affordable option that really delivered. Their Breakfast restaurant was outstanding and stayed open until 10am. All of the staff was the friendliest and you can actually see how extensively they deep clean each room Between guests. Despite being outside Downtown, its location makes it easy to access the airport and avoid a lot of traffic while you're cruising around the island. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in Hawaii: this one definitely gets my highest recommendation for cost, comfort, and ease of use!

Rude Staff, Parking arms didn't work, room key didn't work multiple times. Room amenities didn't work including AC and after a week I am still bandaging up some sort of bug bite I got there. Don't stay here if you want to enjoy Hawaii

My husband and I have stayed at this location on several occassions for business purposes as it provides easy access to the airport however we will NOT be staying here on any future trips. We were extremely disappointed with this past trip. First issue, as a rewards member and frequent guest at this hotel, one would assume a higher level of customer service towards returned and loyal guests. Staff at the front desk lack personable skills and do not fit in the hospitality business. It always seemed as if we were a bother to them from their socializing among other staff at the front. Secondly, each reservation were made with specific request for a king size bed and have failed to accommodate this simple request not once, not twice but at EVERY visit. Lastly, the accommodations in the room was below standards. This past visit was tragic as we were without hot water. We were annoyed to come back after a long day to a cold shower. In addition, the TV service on local stations kept freezing the screen or would constantly lose cable signal and disconnect. Needless to say, we are so disappointed with the lack of Aloha Spirit from this hotel and hope they improve their services in all aspects.

James is absolutely amazing. He is very attentive to the guest needs. He is friendly and always so pleasant. He is always keeping the dining room area looking nice. He makes my day each day I get breakfast!!! Marci is also very pleasant and greets you as you enter dining area.

Super close to the airport which was perfect since we landed late in the day from the East Coast. Shuttle service available as well which is very convenient. Great breakfast buffet and the staff working breakfast were incredibly hospitable and attendant to every guest. Fast wifi. Clean rooms.

We've stayed here many times as we travel btwn mainland & our homeland of American Samoa many yrs. Soooo convenient & great! Just need more spacious parking stalls. The parking spaces near back street need to be monitored, please. Always full.

Great hotel and staff everyone was so sweet and kind. Especially our house keeping Amalia she was amazing very polite always smiling and attentive. Over all I'd recommend mostly for the customer service! The hotel itself was nice and clean lots of amenities and great breakfast area.

My wife and I spent one day and two nights at the hotel. We chose the hotel for its proximity to airport and Pearl Harbour. We had a very good experience. Greeted by very friendly staff ( this was our experience in all of Hawaii!). We stayed in one of the lower two- storey (furthest from the highway) buildings that surround the pool as many mentioned that highway noise is an issue. Was very quiet back here and I would suggest your request a room in this area for the quiet. 10 mins to Pearl Harbour. Many options within walking distance for a casual meal. Good value for Hawaii which is generally expensive.

Seriously overpriced for a seriously outdated hotel. $195 for a hotel room that's brings "redrum" to mind is outrageous. The hallway is a frightening orange. The thermostat is so ancient, I had doubts whether or not it worked. I went there only because I missed my red-eye flight. Its proximity is the spider's web for tired, weary, unsuspecting travelers. MacDonald's and a gas station are your only choices for a hot meal--day or night.

Absolutely loved staying here. Location was perfect as well as amenities. This hotel offered breakfast buffet style absolutely enjoyed the food. Only issue was the toilet gave us issues every other day. They could also invest in comforters the sheet were thin, but other than that nice clean hotel with respectful and polite staff! I'd stay here again!

Located one mile from the airport, rooms have been recently renovated. Restaurants are located within walking distance while full breakfast is included. Staff was friendly and super helpful. On site convenience store had prices comparable with off site locations. There were no interruptions in free WiFi service. There is some freeway noise in rooms facing the highway but otherwise a good stay. Did not get to use the pool.

The Best Western Plaza is the perfect hotel location for someone who needs to go to the airport. A free shuttle service is provided. Breakfast is provided, including a take away option for those leaving before the buffet opens. My room was quiet even though it faced the airport. The proximity to the fast food restaurant next door was convenient and an easy walk. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Right next to the airport so its easy to get to. The people and the housekeeping is reliable and exceptional. The included breakfast is always a full breakfast of average quality. The highway is a bit loud, so it might be hard to sleep if you need perfect silence. Parking can be tight to navigate, but thats a side effect of being in Honolulu.

Staff was friendly enough. Rooms are what you would expect of a room with 2 beds, nothing fancy. Caution-it is sooooo loud. They give you ear plugs to help with the noise. Small bathroom, nothing to write home about.

Service was good. Check in process was easy, convenient shuttle to and from airport. Room was clean, breakfast was good and staff was very accommodating and nice. Would recommend it for anyone that needs a hotel close to the airport.

This airport hotel exceeded our expectations. Location is perfect to spend your first night after a late night arrival. Use one of the 2 courtesy phones at baggage belt 24 and call 05 for the free hotel shuttle. It took the shuttle only 3 minutes to arrive. Friendly driver and very nice front desk staff. We got a corner room in the back of the building. It was a large spotless room with a comfortable bed, a mini fridge and microwave. Good wifi. The bathroom is as in most hotels of this kind: nothing special, but it worked well for us. A lot of people have complains about the noise of the highway and the planes. We don't. Of course one can hear engines now and then, after all it's an airport hotel, but the noise was not disturbing. We enjoyed the free breakfast with eggs, sausages and much more + good coffee. Alamo is just one block away, so we walked to pick up the rental car the next morning. There are also more car rental companies in the street and Mc Donalds is just around the corner. The hotel has a large covered parking with ample space (1st hour is free). We spent also the last night of our vacation in The Plaza because we had an early flight back. I recommend this hotel for short airport related stays.

We just PCS'd from Fort Riley, KS to Schofield Barracks, HI and decided to stay at Best Western since not only do you accumulate points but they also have the breakfast buffet, accept pets and have very well experience working with members of the Armed Forces who PCS. Les was the military liaison and the main person who I talked too when I booked my trip, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to PCSing and helped me and my husband out a lot with valuable information that we had not known since this is our first time PCSing. I felt that my family and I were good hands staying at The Best Western Plaza Hotel. I had one time put in a suggestion for improvement to our room door since fly's and bugs kept crawling under our door since there was a gap, and literally within the same day of me putting in my suggestion the maintenance man had came to fix it! We had stayed there for 65 days and it was just a overall great experience.

We stayed in this Best Western Hotel three times during the month of July. We used Honolulu as a base for trips to American Samoa and French Polynesia. It is quite close to the Honolulu airport and has a shuttle that runs back and forth to the terminals. The property is convenient but not a luxury property nor is it meant to be. It was perfect for what we wanted for our time in Oahu—close to the airport, reasonably priced, and fairly close to restaurants, coffee shops, gas stations, and tourist destinations. We did have a car and parked it in the hotel lot for which there is an overnight charge. There are a number of busy highways around the hotel, so there is traffic noise. However, it was more of a white noise and did not bother us. You can request a room away from traffic, and the property also does accept requests for morning early check in with an extra charge.

Stayed at BW on our way out transferring from Hawaii back to mainland... Our room, a pet-friendly, family room, was on the backside first floor, so it was rather noisy, especially owing to the rather loud & obnoxious a/c window unit. Aside from that, we found the staff to be super friendly and accommodating, especially our housekeeper who was extra attentive to our cat. The breakfast buffet is generous with fresh fruit and a good selection of brekky items, and James, the server guy, is so friendly and just a happy influence. Also, the hotel is within walking distance to many good eats and the main airport terminal. Overall a nice place to stay.

top notch customer service. good proximity to the airport and my school location. great maid service, Mrs Mercy was very helpful and took care of all room needs. the mini mart staff showed southern style hospitalitiy and were very help full. receiption staff where also superb. great pool and airport shuttle service.

Place was decent. A lot of military staying here for temporary house waiting to be placed. Everyone was friendly the room served its purpose to have a place to lay my head at night. If I would have know how loud it would have been because you're right on the freeway and a 25 dollar ride away to the beach I would have stayed closer to the water. The only down fall was not for me but seeing a service member checking in and military had them rent a car and to be told it's $30 a day. That I felt was wrong just because they came out of pocket. I think since they have some kind of deal with the military that needs to be worked with them and not the service members.

The upgrade to a spacious corner room did not help. Room is still quite dated, with e.g. only coffee making not tea and an old style bathroom. Good bed and wifi though. Yes full breakfast included, but in all dimensions limited; next to pancake station only 2-3 hot dishes, few breads, 2 yoghurts and fruits. Definitely not the promised 4 stars. Shuttle good (2 x per hour schedule, plus on call from airport). And a courtesy one expects from an expensive airport hotel, storing your luggage for an additional 2 nights (for our return to Honolulu from Maui), was rejected with 'we have only small storage. We only do this when 2nd stay is also with us. Go use the expensive airport paid storage'.

Chosen for the proximity to the airport for an early morning flight, I would suggest looking elsewhere if you want a good nights sleep. If the noise of the freeway doesn't keep you up, the air conditioning, which you cannot control, blasts constantly. The fan is controlled by a central system and you can only adjust the temperature. It is seriously like being on a plane, constant white noise. They supply free ear plugs, which is nice, but not a good sign. It is far from restaurants or anyplace heathy to eat. They are surrounded by cheap eats and takeaway places. There is a little shop in the lobby, which is convenient. The staff is friendly. But if you can spend some extra money, I would recommend it.

We were on the 6th floor (I think). The hotel is showing its age but is clean. Dinning facilities on site, although we only had breakfast in the dinning room. Transport accommodation good and staff very willing to help (like when I left my Ipad on the plane and had to work through the system at the airport to retrieve it). Worth the money.

Currently staying at the Best Western Plaza hotel near the airport while house searching as my husband has been stationed here. It is a great location as it is near the highway and has a McDonald's, an Ihop and a Dunkin Donuts just beside it. They also have a shuttle that goes to the airport. The prices of the rooms are reasonable and they offer complimentary hot breakfast every morning. There is a nice pool located outside with plenty of chairs to lounge on and soak up the sun. They have free wifi and have a computer and printer downstairs located in the lobby for guests to use. It has been very convenient as my husband has had to print a few things for work. Our room attendant Mercy has been very kind and helpful. She keeps the room clean and always makes sure we have fresh sheets and towels. And if she sees us in the hallway she always asks if we need anything. Overall our stay here has been pleasant.

We recently did a one night stop over at the Best Western Plaza Hotel after arriving by plane at 9:30 p.m. The location from the airport was excellent, and easy to find. We did not want to pay higher prices for just a place to sleep and rest up before beginning our adventures. This hotel offered everything we needed for our extended family of 21. The rooms were clean, large, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great night's sleep. The pool looked nice although we never used it. Free wifi, ample parking, friendly and helpful staff, and a wonderful included buffet breakfast got our vacation in Paradise off to a wonderful start. Plus, theres a McDonalds right beside the hotel for a cheap late night snack.

We stayed at the plaza twice.On our way to Austrilia and on our way back to Denver 2 weeks later.Had a good room and good service both times. They were accomateing to our needs. Recently remodeled pool area and restraunt . Pool was finished.

I'm finally home from my vacation stay in Hawaii. While my family was there we decided to stay a few days at the Best Western Plaza due to location and convenience and of course a good price. I have to say that I do not normally take the time to write reviews eventhough I would like to I just never get around to it. But this is one I wanted to sit down and give a great review. Ok first off right when I got off the plane I found it very easy to take a shuttle to the Hotel. The shuttle service was wonderful picked me up and took us right to the Hotel. The customer service was excellent, every employee was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were so clean and nice. Really it had everything you would expect to have in a hotel room. I was very pleased and felt quite comfortable. The maid was very accommodating and very nice and would clean the room perfectly each day. I will recommend to stay in the highrise part of the hotel and not in the rooms on the outside perimeter. This is just my opinion of course. I did read reviews that said the Hotel noise level is very loud due to the surrounding airport and freeway traffic but I did not find it loud at all. We had a lovely sized room it was big and spacious with 2 beds and nice size closet and bathroom. My favorite part I know it's silly but was there complementary shampoos and conditioners. They smelled so good, very tropical and fruity. I usually bring or buy my own and am quite choosy in what I put in my hair but I loved and looked forward to using these every night. It conditioned my very tangled beached tossed hair which I was at first pretty sceptical. I even took some extra samples with me to our next hotel. Ok so here is the best part of the hotel (even though all the things I mentioned are still great), was the complimentary breakfast. Wow, what a breakfast buffet, each morning was a treat, they have so much food and an amazing variety to offer guest. My family's favorite was the individually fresh made waffles and fresh yogurt parfaits. We had an amazing waiter/ buffet server who greeted us with a friendly aloha every morning and made us yummy parfaits. So if looking for a place to stay keep this one on your list. It was so convenient for parking and right in the middle of Honolulu, close to freeway access and airport. Excellent stay than you Best Western Plaza

Good options for the price. Inclusive breakfast was helpful when traveling with a family of 4. Staff was all around courteous. Hotel was 5 mins or less from airport and car rentals, which helped with early flights. I only wish they offered suite options at this location.

By far the best room attendant that I've ever had. She was so sweet & always kept a smile on her face. She made sure that we had new towels and sheets every morning. She kept our room spotless! She's was outstanding!

We had to unexpectedly stop over in Honolulu on our way to Mainland USA and the hotel was very accommodating. We had two inter connecting rooms that were clean. Fridge and microwave came in very handy. The included breakfast was amazing. Also a nice pool area for the kids to burn off some energy.

Room service was great. Cleaned daily by name Mercy. She was so friendly and accommodating specially after my surgery. She provided all i need to be comfortable. Front desk was very helpful also.....................................................

Have stayed at this hotel more than 8 times over the years. Close to the airport, and away from the Waikiki traffic! I stay here when working in Hawaii, and having parking, and no traffic to deal with is a big plus for me! The staff is very kind--and for this trip especially Emy from housekeeping. Great job! This time they upgraded me to a corner room (ocean side). Very large and quiet. My wife travels with me, and it is in close proximity of busses and the Navy exchange. It has been remodeled, and they have a real complimentary breakfast in the morning. Planning to go back in November because they are within the Government per diem rates. They also offer shuttle to and from the airport.

We recently moved to Hawaii with the Navy and needed a place to stay while we found housing. Everybody here is amazing. Mercy is the best! So sweet and nice! Front desk is knowledgeable and helpful too!! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

If you need to stay near airport without car, this hotel would be one of the great choice. Breakfast is included but a few choices only. Complimentary shuttle bus to/from airport, 30mins/round. We were literally here just to sleep for one night in between flights so we weren't overly bothered about staying in a luxury hotel, especially given hotel prices in Waikiki. We called the courtesy van upon collecting our bags and it arrived after about 15 minutes and took us to the hotel which was nice and close. Check in was quick and easy so were in our room within minutes. We were on the second floor facing the highway but there isn't an elevator for this part of the hotel so we had to haul a couple of very heavy suitcases up the stairs. The room was comfortable and functional, but the noise from the highway was pretty loud. I wouldn't normally be pleased about a loud airconditioner, but the noise from the A/C helped to drown out the noise from the highway. I did wake through the night a few times due to traffic noise. Aside from the noise and lack of stairs, it was a perfectly OK hotel for a fair price. The complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning was great, had all the basics and they were all done well. There is a gift shop/convenience store within the hotel which was handy for picking up some last minute souvenirs. The courtesy van runs every 30 minutes (on the hour and half hour) back to the airport so that made it easy to plan our check out time. If you can somehow avoid the rooms facing the highway I'd give this hotel a big thumbs up, especially if you're wanting to stay close to the airport.

First time here. The is older, but looks like it was remodeled. Lots of well lit covered parking. The room was nice, and ours had a nice view of downtown, Diamond Head, and the ocean! One of the best breakfasts of all the Best Westerns we have stayed at. The staff was really helpful and friendly. All in all, a great place to stay!

We stayed one night at the Best Western Plaza to see Pearl Harbor before flying on to Maui. It's very convenient to the airport and the shuttle service was prompt to pick us up. It is also convenient to the Honolulu bus system that got us to Pearl Harbor in no time. The rooms are appropriate for a 3-star. We did not have any issues with interstate traffic noise (our room did not face the interstate) and the breakfast was great. However, the best thing happened when we were leaving.... As a complimentary service, the hotel will hold your bags after you check out. We checked-out and visited Pearl Harbor. When we got back to the hotel, we get our bags and started to load into the airport shuttle. That's when my 9 year-old girl realizes she left her travel pillow on her hotel bed... We're tired after the day at Pearl Harbor, the long flight to Hawaii, and the new time zone. This is the straw that breaks the camel's back and my daughter starts crying over a travel pillow :( We ask if was returned to lost and found, but the housekeeping staff had already left for the day. I believe every manager in the hotel then mobilized to find that pillow. Some went to our room to look for it. Others were looking for the key to unlock the housekeeping room where lost/found items are kept. They were frantically trying to locate this travel pillow. By now, we had already held the shuttle up for 15 minutes. I told my daughter we're going to have to leave, but I'm sure they will find it and we can have them ship it to our house. She had tears coming to her eyes, but shook her head okay. Due to the roads at this location, the shuttle turns right and then makes a u-turn to get to the airport. After the u-turn, we're driving by the hotel when I see a manager holding the pillow up in the air and running after the shuttle in his dress shoes and tie. The driver gets on the radio with the manager who says he's getting in his car and will meet us at the airport terminal to deliver us the pillow. The driver unloads our bags but he won't leave. He tells us he's staying here so the manager will see the shuttle and know where we are. Five minutes later, the hotel manager pulls his car over and comes running over with the travel pillow. I try my best to give him a great tip in the middle of the airport drop-off, but he would not take it. He runs back to his car and shouts for me to give it to the driver. Just imagine if every hotel had that kind of dedication to customer service.

I booked through Expedia without paying .Expedia canceled and made a new reservation which I paid for. I arrived at hotel and checked in. Swiped card for incidental charges. Internet did not work despite my asking for help from front desk. Checked out A charge of 233 shows up on my account despite having reservation canceled by Expedia and having email showing reservation canceled. Plaza refused to refund the 233. I will highly against using this hotel .

Great stay for an affordable price. Service was great, excellent and professional staff. Shout out to Ms. Mercy from Housekeeping! She was very helpful and kind. The location of the hotel is close to many if the Honolulu attractions.

Excellent location for seeing Oahu with rental car and proximity to airport, cruise ship terminal, Waikiki. Excellent full hot and cold breakfast options included. Looks tired from the outside, but was very well appointed inside, and had little noise from the airport near by.

Stayed at the Plaza after flying into Honolulu on the way to a cruise. The hotel is close to the airport, next to an elevated section of freeway, in a fairly industrial area. The facility itself was a bit dated, but OK in general. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Complimentary breakfast had a fairly common selection of items and was served in a restaurant on the property. My only complaint is that you couldn't take a tray of food back to your room, had to eat it in the restaurant. Other than that, comfortable stay which allowed us to continue on our way with minimal hassle. We would stay there again when on the way to somewhere else!

I love the pool and the gym. The rooms are clean and kept well every time I return from a long day. I placed a review before, but I forgot to add that the room attendant Mercy is very courteous and professional. She asked me to place a review here on whether or not I liked the service. Good service deserves good praise.

As our flight into HNL was arriving in the late evening, we figured we'd save a few bucks on car rental, parking, and hotel rate (over Waikiki) by staying at The Plaza. Once we landed and picked up our bags, we used the courtesy phones across from carousel 24 to arrange the shuttle. They sent a shuttle right away, which met us at the median across from carousel 20. After the 5 minute ride to the hotel, they greeted us by name and had our room key ready to go. Check-in took 1 minute. We hit the hay and awoke early for breakfast. It was buffet style; not super huge but just enough variety and the food was decent. We took the shuttle (every half hour) back to HNL in the morning to grab our car rental and head into Waikiki. Definitely would recommend The Plaza as pre- or post-Waikiki hotel; not as a base of operations for an entire trip, but definitely a good transition hotel. And all staff were incredibly friendly.

This hotel was perfect for me and my two sons. It was close to Pearl City and Waikiki. Breakfast every morning. Awesome staff. Loved our room housekeeper Mercy. She took great care of us. We didn't come to Hawaii to stay in our room so this was exactly what we needed at a great price. Would certainly recommend to others.

We opted to stay here because it is close to Pearl Harbor and next to the airport so if you have an early flight like we did this is your place. I did not like that they charge $15 for parking each night even though we are members and $30 without membership. It is out of the crazy zone of downtown and Waikiki so parking should be free here. You can walk to a lot of places including Big Kahuna Pizza. It is right next-door to McDonald's if that's your thing. It is tricky to drive in and out of that hotel so good luck with that. The rooms were spacious compared to Honolulu closet standard, but the bathroom was smallish. The place was clean but they needed to wash the terribly dirty windows. The noise was not as bad as I expected; I did not need to wear earplugs. They had the typical Best Western breakfast spread and it was satisfying. Steal cut oats for me and I am good. The breakfast staff was remarkable at keeping food items replenished and cleaning tables so there was always somewhere to sit. All in all this is a good value hotel —drop the parking charges and it would be a great value.

This BW is an older facility. It is busy with families, solo travelers and military. I stayed for about 14 hours on route to Japan. My room was clean and the bed was comfy. My view was westward over the highway and distant mountain. Yes, the highway was loud but I was tired and slept well. The hot water was plentiful for a shower. Breakfast was generous with hot eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, fruit and baked goods. Hotel staff was very kind and upbeat. The convenience store morni g staff was unfortunately unpleasant. The store had nice island delicacies and souvenirs to throw in your suitcase as well as small sandwiches and sushi. Best choice in the HNL area of you are time contrained and do not want the hassle of going into Waikiki. Best for a bed to flop in and a warm breakfast in your belly.

The main pro of this grand 12-storey hotel is its location near the airport despite the noisy and busy traffic of the N Nimitz Highway. This hotel offers a free & efficient 24-hour shuttle: Just call the hotel as soon as you pick up your baggage at the airport.Upon check-in, the hotel charges a deposit of $ 30 on the credit card but remains elusive on the terms of return. In case of dispute, do not hesitate to request the inspection of your room before check-out. Breakfast is included in the price of the room (which is not always the case in the US) but breakfast it is unfortunately not very good: Muffins are not fresh and are the remains of the day before. Yogurts come out from a dispenser and their taste is not good. The common areas of this hotel are ageing old with old carpets. Any guest would expect the worst when entering the room, but once in the room, we are pleasantly surprised because the rooms are clean, spacious, well renovated and the bedding is of good quality. The double window glazing does not provide optimal isolation from the incessant noise traffic of N Nimitz Highway of but makes it more or less bearable. If you have a light sleep, make sure to bring earplugs, The outdoor pool is situated in a very and unpleasant place, since located just under the very noisy North Nimitz Highway bridge. Take also into account that the very intense road traffic around the hotel severely limits walking around the hotel. This hotel to be recommended only for one night.

Hotel is modest and clean. Friendly staff. The buffet breakfast surpassed our expectations. There's a free shuttle to and from the airport, just give them a call once you've picked up your luggage. The hotel is in an industrial area but they did a nice job of making it feel more like a resort. Tip: Request a room opposite from the highway.

Here is where you find people who shine. The staff here is remarkable! Hotels can buy new furnishings but people make a business exceptional. Every single person we passed was kind and brightened our day starting with our personable shuttle driver, Ronel. You couldn't tell he dealt with Honolulu's crazy traffic every day. Ralph at the desk had an easy smile. Maria in housekeeping was bright and cheerful in the morning and James at breakfast greeted every family like Ohana. Breakfast had delicious variety with frequent refills and an assortment of beverages. There was sausage, eggs and waffles (with all the toppings) for me and fresh fruit, yogurt and breads for my wife. Our room had a 180 degree view. It is in an industrial setting to be sure but it did have a distant ocean view and I loved watching planes landing at the airport. With all the windows I expected noise as other reviews noted but the air conditioner's white noise and very comfortable bed gave us a good sleep. I have arthritis and my only problem was the toilet sits too low for me. I managed. We had what I considered a great rate for Honolulu. There is a pool but not a hot tub which would have helped my arthritis but we knew that in advance. Mahalo!

We don't normally use Best Western hotels, but opted to stay here for one night in order to be close to the airport. Pros: - Very close to the airport with free 24h shuttle service - Outdoor pool, albeit with a view of the noisy freeway - Comfy beds - Free Wi-Fi Cons:- - Very dated but clean hotel with a slightly gritty feel - Noisy location under a busy freeway - A long way from Waikiki beach or anything else of interest - Not particularly cheap

Nice staff and pleasant enough room but the noise from the highways outside was horrendous. The rooms are only single glazed, so had to use earplugs to get some sleep. Decent breakfast. Very handy for the airport and a first class shuttle service and driver available.

They never could quite get us the number of towels we needed. Hotel was clean, but nothing special. If all you need is a room, this hotel is ok. Staff was nice and willing to help you. I thought that in Hawaii Best Western would have better accommodations.

I could not have asked for a more pleasant stay. The staff was always friendly and caring. My room was very quite except on the last day when they did some work in the suite next to me and the tree trimmers were working on the grounds outside the windows.

We stayed overnight as we had an early flight the following day. Having dropped the hire car off late afternoon we were looking to enjoy a meal in their restaurant but were informed they don't do dinner, only breakfast. This isn't made clear on the website. However we caught the shuttle provided to the Honolulu hotel that is paired with the BW and enjoyed dinner there. We arrived as it opens at 5pm and it filled very quickly so get there early. The shuttle next day at 5.30am was great and only a 5 min trip to airport. Check in staff helpful. Hotel is clean and bedroom fine for overnight. Would stay there again.

This is a nice hotel. Proximity to the airport came in handy. Staff were good and very helpful. Room was very clean. Parking is very tight and costly. Every so often you would hear the planes during take off or landing.

The hot breakfast was quite good. The dining room was full but the manager worked quickly to find a table for me. I was very disappointed that the pool was closed until noon, which was check out time. I was offered a shuttle ride to a sister hotel's pool but that wasn't very convenient. The hotel is right next to the freeway so there was quite a bit of traffic noise, but I was able to sleep. The TV had poor reception. The location is very unattractive but fine for a one night stay after a long airplane ride.

For business, it is out of the Waikiki crush. Safe and comfortable with a few amenities, even the airport within a short walk. The breakfast was always a highlight of the day and all staff does an outstanding job.

The staff at this Best Western is hands down the friendliest and most knowledgable that I have ever encountered! Even the housekeep staff was more than happy to offer advice on places to eat and visit for a newcomer like myself. Mercy did an exceptional job of taking care of my every need during my stay and I'm grateful for the aloha spirt that she constantly greeted me with in-passing by the elevators. Thanks so much to you all! I absolutely recommend this location; aside from the friendly staff, it has a central location close to the airport, Pearl Harbor, and the main highway that will easily give you access to anywhere on the island that you would want to go and see!

We stayed in this hotel for awhile due to military move and our experience was great and amazing. No complaints at all.First its near the Airport, everything is accessible, less hustle to deal. The staff are so amazing and very professional. Complimentary Breakfast was great and the staff working there James and Techie were very nice and friendly.. They always made us feel like we're just home. Thumbs up and great job to these two. Thank you to our room cleaners Ami and Marcy for keeping our room clean and tidy every day. They worked so hard and i admired their dedication to their job. Well done to all the staff in this hotel.

The Plaza Hotel is a high rise hotel conveniently close to the Honolulu airport. It is clearly an older property (probably 50+ years old) and while many finishes have been refreshed, the ambiance remains that of a mid-range 3-star hotel. Check-in was professional and efficient. Although we had reserved a standard king bed room, we were upgraded to a “deluxe” king room (a larger room at the corner of the building). Our room preferences had been noted and honored. That deluxe room was very spacious; the decor was comfortable rather than luxurious. There was a refrigerator, microwave, a small side chair and a desk with an adjustable chair, but no in-room safe. The bed was comfy with a thick, soft mattress pad. Lighting was abundant, as were electrical outlets. Highway noise from the Nimitz Freeway penetrated the single pane windows, however, even though our room was on a back corner of the building relatively far away from the freeway. For us, it was more of a background gray noise rather than an annoyance. The hotel is oriented perpendicular to the freeway so there are few rooms truly on the back of the building facing the airport (rooms 1217-1219 on our floor) but those rooms are directly across from the ice and vending machines (not enclosed in a separate room or alcove) which I'd consider to be a much greater noise problem than the freeway. The breakfast buffet was very good, including oatmeal and four cold cereals, scrambled eggs, pancakes and make-your-own waffles. The breakfast meat was unlabeled and were peculiarly dark cubes, possibly Spam. Seating was abundant. Fresh fruits included apples, oranges and melon but no bananas. A number of local and chain restaurants are within walking distance but nothing suggestive if fine dining. The surrounding neighborhood included a car dealer and light industrial buildings but felt safe for walking in the evening, The fitness center was relatively large with a variety of equipment. There is an outdoor pool, surrounded by additional low rise rooms (many of which could have problematic highway noise). The airport shuttle was efficient, but not quite free. I really dislike signage suggesting recommended tips, but there is one posted in the bus, suggesting a per-item tip. Bring lots of dollar bills, but don't expect those tips to actually translate into meaningful assistance with handling your luggage. All in all: a good but not great hotel. The basics are solid (sleep quality, room features), and the included breakfast buffet is a big plus. It is a good choice for a short stay between flights.

We stayed at this hotel last night when arriving from a long night! Free shuttle from the airport. Use the phone next to the caroussel 24. When you have called, go outside caroussel 20 in the center area behind the green line. There is a shuttle bus that says Best Western on it. Check in process was quick and easy. No issues. Staff was friendly. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Took a shower this morning and the shower doesnt drain, it must be clogged with other people's hair and filth. See picture attached, that is with the drain wide open. Would recommend employees to have that looked at. Other than that, I strongly suggest this hotel.

The airport BW is really convenient. If you get the rooms away from the road, you can really enjoy your sleep. The bus line is rt outside, and there is an option to take the shuttle to the airport terminal to catch a shuttle to Waikiki. You can also have a cheap tour of Pearl Harbor- by Uber or taxi- only 2mi from this hotel. If you want fun in chinatown- it is only a bus ride away. The Ala Moana Center is about 30 to 40min by city bus for $275. The pool area is noisy but all faciilities are clean, staff are super professional. Great for a business trip.

I was visiting to visit the oldest bar in Hawaii. When I made the reservation I was told to call them from the phones at the luggage area. I found out they were gone because of construction. I told them and didnt know that. I called and they arrived for pick up within 10 minutes. It was a short drive to the hotel. The rooms have fridge and micro in them. There is a small store there but the prices were high I thought. If you go out the hotel and turn left and go to the corner and then left(5min) there is a mickie D;s, shell gas station, Ihop, and Dunkin Doughnuts. Across the street there is a Airport market, sushi, 2 bbq's and starbucks. Pop st shell was 2.09, at hotel 3.39. There is no restaurant at hotel but they will shuttle you to another of their hotels for one. Break had Waffles, S Eggs, meat, cereal, bread and bev.

We've been attending the annual event here at Hickam field and Best Western continue to impress with government rate, reasonable price for leisure and the services is always top notch. Even though I was recommended by my peers to stay at Hale Koa, but I chose this one because of the services, and convenience of location to all other area of interest, local eateries were among the best one. Will always come back to this one for years to come.

My husband and I are staying for one night enroute back to AZ. The FREE shuttle is wonderful and arrived in a few minutes after our call to the hotel. Because our flight arrived early in the day....10:30 we were not able to check in so stored our luggage in a secure area and had lunch at a near by IHOP. We want to especially commend Beau at the front desk who was so kind, understanding and did everything she could to help us. Once our room was ready we checked in and were delighted with how lovely, clean and comfortable the room was. It is close to the highway but our room was far away and up on the 12th floor so was very quiet and provided us a good night's rest. If you need to stay near the airport we recommend this hotel with the highest regard. The pool area is very nice and there is very good store on site with beer, wine, sandwiches, etc. They also offer a free breakfast every morning starting at 6:30.

This hotel was perfect for our late night arrival to Honolulu. We were on our way to Waikiki Beach. Instead of paying more than double the price for our first night in Waikiki, we decided to stay near the airport at the Best Western. We used the complimentary shuttle to the hotel and used the shuttle the next morning to return to the airport to get our car rental. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding with eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt bar, waffles, pancakes, pastries, juice and coffee. The breakfast is in the onsite restaurant, so I would recommend bringing money to tip the outstanding staff in the breakfast area. I didn't catch the waiters name, but he was so friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great start to our vacation Best Western!

We enjoyed stay at this hotel because it was clean, had a complimentary free breakfast, free 24 hour on call airport shuttle, and staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to watch planes coming in and going out too. While there was some traffic noise, you would not hear much from airplanes.

I stayed at the Best Western Plaza Hotel when my husband was unexpectedly airlifted from our trip in Kauai to Honolulu for further medical treatment. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the hospital he was at. It was actually a delightful place to stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, there were several restaurants within walking distance. I ended up venturing out to do more things on Oahu when my husband was napping in the middle of the day and the Best Western was always nice to come home to. I also had a surprisingly beautiful view of the mountains. If you are sensitive to highway noise, do not stay here at it is literally right next to the highway. However, I found it to be great white noise for sleeping. I think if you also want to take advantage of Honolulu's beaches, this would be a bit of a trek for you. For me, it was perfect.

Very close to the airport, free shuttle was prompt. All staff were friendly and helpful. We were at the back of the hotel, away from the expressway, so traffic noise was minimal. Better than usual hot buffet breakfast with plenty of seating. We were able to catch a bus to old Honolulu (about 30 minutes) and Waikiki (about 40 minutes) right opposite the hotel. Front desk staff gave us change and advice on buses to catch. All bus fares are $2.75 each trip (get a day Pass for $5.50), or $1 ($2 Day Pass) if aged 65 or over. All bus drivers we had were good, and stop announcements are announced along the way.

This Best Western Plaza Hotel - Honolulu has both location close to the airport and an excellent shuttle service. The shuttle service runs 24x7 with dispatch by call-in from the airport, which I used after dropping off my rental car (with a gas station about 1 block away.). We used the 5am shuttle to meet our 7am airplane. The staff is friendly and helpful.

My room was clean and well kept while I stayed here. The amenities and proximity to the airport are why I stay here. I have been a member of Best Western since 2014. This location is one of the best I have stayed in.

I arrived late but was greeted by two awesome individuals, Raymart and Beau. Both were cheerful, very professional and quick. Really made my stay start off with a great impression! When I got to the room, it was beyond my expectation as it was a lot larger than I expected and very nice and clean! I really expected a lot less for the amount they charge but was surprised to say the least!

With less than a five minute drive this location is great for anyone spending a night or two or stuck with a layover. The breakfast has many Great options very delicious. McDonald's and Starbucks is within walking distance. The staff were very polite and patient.

The hotel was close to base and easy access to downtown. My Housekeeper, Ms. Mercy really did a good job. My room was always clean and on time. Thank you for giving me excellent customer service. I will definitely stay there again.

The rooms are adequate. The decor plain. The noise was tolerable given the location. If you need to stay near the airport this is a good choice. The pool hours are too short. The breakfast was outstanding & the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Being close to the airport is the main advantageous feature of this property. The room we were in (number 117) was old but serviceable. It could use modernization. It faces the pool area so curtains need to be closed most of the time. Hotel is next to highway so location is noisy. So noisy that most people could not sleep with such noise but we were exhausted from an overnight flight and got our 5 hours of sleep before our next flight.

Staff was awesome, very helpful. Rooms clean and pool is perfect area. Breakfast included, courteous staff and breakfast stations are awesome which was my most favorite part of the whole stay. The waffles were amazingly scrumptious. Waiter was very helpful and all the breakfast stations and made you feel very welcomed.

Excellent kind room service and front desk staff Mercy did an outstanding job taking care of my room while I was here. I will absolutely be recommending this hotel to family and friends who plan to visit in the future.

Hotel is 5 min from airport and adjacent to the freeway. If it wasn't the road noise keeping you awake, it was the air conditioner. Cars racing by, trucks, motorcycles- there's a reason they supply earplugs. Has 70's decor, old and run down. There are many better. Due to plane problems, was assigned to us by airline so had no choice but to grin and bear it. Only positive was it was clean otherwise they'd have no stars. Not sure if there are other wings to this hotel but freeway side is terrible

I was there because I got ill at the airport and no flights were available employees friendly I would come back to best western again if a flight gets canceled I would definitely tell friends about it

Staff to include front desk, concierge, restaurant,and house keeping were extremely friendly. The house keeper Mercy, went beyond mmy expectations and ensured my stay at this facility was comfortable. The staff at the restaurant knew exactly what I wanted every morning for breakfast and ensured I had my daily coffee and croissants. The front desk was very patient and informative about local activies and eateries. Highly recommend staying at this facility.

This hotel isn't fancy, but they do try to make sure you're well taken care of. Our bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean. Breakfast is served from 6:30 - 10:00. It is complimentary for guests. Others pay $13 for children and $18 for adults. It is a buffet, but there are waiters checking to see if you need anything. The selection was very good: breads and pastries, fresh fruit, oatmeal with toppings, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles (even coconut syrup!), yogurt with toppings, cold cereal, juice, milk and coffee. It is located very close to the airport. It is also a short drive to the naval base. Expect to hear noise from the highway right next to the hotel. They charge for parking in their parking garage; get your ticket validated at the front desk so you won't be charged again when leaving the garage. The parking garage gets crowded. They have a nice fitness room with weights and cardio equipment. There is a small store by the lobby where you can buy souvenirs, snacks and amenities. Staff has been friendly and helpful.

Great service overall. Also room service was very accommodating and did a great job keeping my room tidy. Room Attendant name Mercy. She respected my privacy and also having a bad experience in the past with Room Attentants taking things from my room that didn't belong to them.

This hotel's only real merit is that it is close to the airport in Honolulu. It is also 40 minutes from Downtown and located on the main Nimitz Highway into town. There is also a busy overpass just above the hotel - the noise level would be a huge deterrent to staying here again. They do not serve dinner - but offer a shuttle ( but you can walk it in 7 minutes if you can stand the noise of the traffic ) to the Honolulu Airport Hotel where the food is modest if varied. Breakfast is served at the Best Western and although the restaurant is austere the food was varied and of a reasonable standard. The staff were all warm and friendly in true American style, but the rooms were modest - with carpets that could not conceal their overuse. There was also I adequate bed linen for keeping warm overnight. At US $ 209 a night this cannot be described as good value for money .

.....from the airport, but almost - perhaps a 5 minute taxi. We stopped in Honolulu for an overnight before connecting to the Big Island and this property worked out very well. Nice full breakfast in the morning after a long day of travel the day before. Would definitely recommend if you need an overnight stay before a connection. Rooms may be a little dated but were definitely clean.

In addition to a fab location, the entire front of house deserve a mention as they went above and beyond to make my first visit to Hawaii and stay with them a very memorable and pleasant one. I had initially planned to use taxis for my entire stay but was shown how the public transport was easy and very convenient for the places I'd mentioned I'd like to visit whilst on the island. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of choices whether it'd be continental or waffles or eggs or fruits or even oatmeal. Reasonably priced in comparison to staying in Waikiki. Free shuttle from airport also. Will definitely be returning and staying here again.

Stay was pleasurable and enjoyable. Except for the side of the bed if not careful would slide right off. Could not get enough pillows, they were to soft. But other then that its was clean, helpful staff and pRking was available. I would stay again for a discount..loll It was an 8 out of 10.

Close to HNL. Hotel needs a major upgrade. Highway noise is deafening due to close proximity to H1. AVOID the building parallel to frontal road.Fast food food restaurants in walking distance. Hotel has a small store with food/wine/sundries etc.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and also the convenience of dish various shops that surrounds the Best Western. The staff was very pleasant and intended to my needs.

The shuttle picked us up promptly even though it was 2 AM. Front desk person was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Very comfortable, clean, and updated room in “the tower”. Excellent, plentiful breakfast, too.

I have stayed at this hotel twice while in Honolulu on business. The hotel is just a five minute shuttle ride from the airport, and both times I used the shuttle it was on time and the drivers were very personable and friendly. My room on the sixth floor was very spacious with plenty of outlets, nice TV/Desk work area etc., and everything worked fine. The hotel is adjacent to a major street and elevated highway, however in my room on the sixth floor, and about half way back away from the highway, I heard no traffic noise. The HVAC System worked well and was very quiet.There are a few restaurants near by as well a couple of fast food places. There is also a fairly well stocked store in the lobby of the hotel. Overall my stay (12 hours) was fine and I found the convince of the hotel being near HNL a bonus. I will stay here again if in the area on business and would recommend it to anyone. While my only interaction with the staff was at check in and the shuttle, both were positive.

I stayed here for the night as I had a flight to Melbourne the next morning. It was awesome having the shuttle to transport us to the airport that early in the morning. Also, having the McDonalds right beside the hotel was great for grabbing something in the morning.

a very nice hotel witha large garage, near airport, big room , very closed to rental car . I spent 2 days very well . Clean room, closed to freeway , so in fee minute is possible to go in pearl harbur or in downtown . Very good for family

We had an overnight transit stop at Honolulu airport before flying to Kona the next morning and opted for the Best Western. The location is great, about a half-mile from the terminal. It is easy enough to walk if you know where you're going, but there is also a free shuttle that runs approximately every 30min. The room was fairly spacious, clean and comfortable, with cable TV and good free Wifi internet. The main criticism was that there was a lot of road noise, as it is situated very close to the elevated Nimitz Highway and there is no double glazing to block the sound. We kept checking the windows to make sure they weren't open as there was so much noise entering the room. We woke up to road noise quite a few times during the night. The hotel has a small and poorly equipped fitness room which we didn't even bother trying to use, instead opting for an in-room cardio circuit session before our flight. There are a number of decent restaurants about a block away, including an IHOP, Dunkin Donuts, Big Kahuna's Pizza, and Ninja Sushi. In the morning, the hotel served a reasonable, free breakfast buffet. For an overnight transit stop, I thought this was a pretty reasonable hotel.

Mercy was my cleaning lady and what a pleasure she is. She keeps my room clean and stocked. She was very nice and sweet. Any time I needed something she never got upset or frustrated with us a family of 4 two big teenagers and 2 adults. I would return and recommend this hotel because the breakfast was great, they have parking , clean rooms with no odor and my girl Pretty Mercy. Thanx

This 12-story hotel is very close to the airport and has a great free airport shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. The staff was very nice, our room was spacious, and there was a very good free breakfast! In addition, you can walk to several fast food restaurants or an I-HOP nearby. HOWEVER, the very noisy Nimitz Freeway is on two sides of the hotel and literally right above some of the rooms located around the pool. Be sure to ask for a quiet room in the back of the hotel! Our room, #1120, was very quiet. It was located in the back corner of the hotel on the 11th floor with big windows (you could even see the ocean in the distance), but the freeway was front and center when you looked toward the mountains! The hotel was a good spot for an overnight stay before a flight, but I would be very careful about the room location! See the attached pictures rather than the professional ones.

Yes it's close to the airport but take the extra time and stay somewhere else. The hotel is literally underneath the freeway. We chose this because we had an early morning departure but none of us slept so we'd have been better off to stay further from the airport. The only way to block out the traffic noise was to keep the loud window A/C running and the room smelled a gym locker. The front desk staff and shuttle drivers were all pleasant but the

The hotel has been given a superficial refresh without actually updating anything. Stains everywhere in common areas, bad smells, very noisy. The airport shuttle was nice, but we paid SO MUCH less to stay at 4-star hotels the remainder of our trip. This was not a food value.

As the hotel is close to the airport, we went there before our long-distance flight. They offer an airport shuttle service and told us to phone to get picked up from the airport. The number didn't work, so we had to take a taxi. On telling this inconvenience and additional expense, we were just told that usually the number worked. No "sorry" or anything similar! We knew the hotel was close to the road, so we had to keep the window shut. But this was only possible with the air-conditioning turned on. We could hardly sleep, because it was so loud! 185 $ for not sleeping is too expensive! Don't go there!

I stayed several days in this hotel. My stay was pleasant. The highway was a little noisy, but I didn't mind it, because I don't sleep well in silence. If you want to cancel the noise, earplugs are furnished. The staff was very accommodating and Mercy was a top-notch room attendant. She gets 5 stars. She came back when asked and was quick to replace towels and change linens when needed. Thank you!

Booked a room as we had an early flight home the next morning, front staff were pleasant enough but that's were it ended. The fridge did not work and there was crap all under the toilet seat and bowl. Booked for 4 and there was 3 towels and the air conditioner sounded like a 747 jumbo taking off. The staff that came and cleaned the toilet and brought the towels were pleasant and apologetic. Give this place a miss as there are better options elsewhere.

My family of 4 pcs moved to Hawaii and we chose the Best Western to stay in for lodging until we could move into housing. We had a 2 double bed room during our stay. It came with a small fridge and microwave, which was nice. Our room service was amazing! Mercy took care of us during our month long stay, she would go above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed even if she didn't service the room for the day. She cleaned our room thoroughly. She is a very sweet and personable women. I appreciated all her help. There is a small store and restaurant downstairs for convenience and a laundromat as well. The only reason I and giving 4 stars is because of the noise of the freeway. It can be a bit loud unfortunately. But other then that the hotel staff and our stay was great. I definitely will stay here again and I would recommend to family as well.

We stayed here for 10 days and had a lovely room with plenty of light. Staff were very friendly. Close to the airport and to other destinations. Other restaurants in the vicinity. Only criticism is the location of the gym on the 12th floor so if you are in the rooms directly below it can be a bit noisey.

Awesome location for a quick turnaround to the airport. There are enough stores and restaurants near by for a different atmosphere if your choice is not the hotel restaurant. We stay here often and we have seen so many positive changes throughout this past year.

I stayed here for nearly two weeks while in Oahu on business. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location perfect since I was working on Hickam Field. I appreciated the guest laundry facility. I would stay here again.

This hotel is very conveniently located close to the Honolulu airport. The shuttle bus service is phenomenal. We didn't wait any length of time for the bus and the driver was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel had a comfortable bed and was clean. There was some traffic noise but not too bad.

Hotel is located near the airport and 20 min st the most from downtown Honolulu or Pearl Harbor. Staff are friendly and professional and house keeping is accommodating, Mercy was the room attendant and she was incredibly helpful. I plan on returning anytime I need a place to stay.

If you were a newlywed couple intent on a luxury-filled and memorable honeymoon destination at a resort on the beach...well, that isn't the Plaza. IF, however, you are a business traveler intent on finding a comfortable place to stay with easy access to the airport and freeway, then I encourage you to consider The Plaza Hotel by Best Western. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice sized desk for setting up an office away from home. Nice pool. The hotel has its own dedicated parking garage, so your rental car is always close at hand. The restaurant associated with this hotel offers breakfast every day, and evening meals several nights a week. On those nights where the chef has the evening off, The Airport Honolulu Hotel (sort of a "sister" hotel to this one) takes over evening meal duties. The two hotels are about a leisurely 10 minute walk from each other, and there is a two-way shuttle service running continually between them. The food at both hotel restaurants is tasty; the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and attentive. Sharon, the desk lady on duty when I arrived, was very helpful and ready to answer any and all questions. Myrna, my room attendant, was dillgent in her duties, ensuring that the room remained clean, comfortable, and well stocked with coffee pods. When I return to Honolulu on business, this will be the place where I'll stay.

Our flight back to Melbourne was cancelled so we were put up at this hotel by our airline for five nights. Yes, five extra nights in Honolulu and all paid for - it was hard going ;) Pros - close to airport - free airport shuttle - bus stop across the road. Very easy to get to Waikiki, Pearl Harbor or North Shore. The bus system is excellent and a day pass is only $5.50 - hotel restaurant food is delish and staff very friendly. We definitely looked forward to breakfast and dinner each day. - our room was super clean and freshly decorated - in-room coffee pod machine was great and provided a decent coffee. We did buy some fresh milk as they only had a dairy free powdered option in the room - the pool area was a good place to relax and get some sun. Cons - nothing drastic, the reception staff sometimes gave the impression that we were interrupting them when we approached the desk. They were mostly friendly but I think they were just super busy. - as this is an airport hotel, it can be a little noisy from the nearby freeways and airport. Being the plane nut I am, I didn't mind. We still slept really well. I would stay here again for the convenient location. I really love staying at Best Westerns because they are usually consistent with great amenities. Tips - IHOP, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, convenience store and other take out food places nearby. Safeway, Longs pharmacy and other eateries only a 15 minute walk away.

This isn't the most perfect hotel on the island, however, it is very convenient to the airport if you have an early morning flight. It is clean. It is comfortable. The staff are great. I recommend it.

I am currently staying at the hotel. Earlier today, while i was taking a nap, someone or something opened my door and slammed it real hard. That woke me up, so I ran out to see who it was, no one was there. Took a nap again, woke up at 5 pm, my door was wide open, even after shutting it tight and locking it. This is creeping me out.

We stayed here one night as we got into Honolulu late. I suspect that is pretty routine or this hotel. It is along side a multi level highway. You can almost reach out and touch it :-) It is, what it is. My only complaint I that we pre-paid for a king bed room in the main hotel, but when we got there late they had already assigned us a room with two very small beds tucked right under the freeway. They remedied the situation but it didn't leave me with a good impression.

It close to airport with free shuttle the rooms are clean and comfortable we had an upper floor with views of the mountains and the airport.there is a MacDonald next door where the food is good and there is a servo that has a good supply of everything you may need

We had a late flight into Oahu and a cruise starting the next day, so this was a good choice. Older hotel but clean and well maintained. Close to the airport with shuttle that came soon after we called for it. Also located in close proximity to the tangle of expressways north of the airport, so there is some highway noise. Efficient check-in, comfortable bed, good shower. Would stay again in similar circumstances. Can walk to McDonalds for McBreakfast.

We left a non-disabled friendly hotel downtown and came here. Glad we did! Very pet friendly, large rooms, great staff all the way around. The location is great. Easy to get downtown and to all the great spots without dealing with downtown traffic. The food was excellent- reasonably priced and nice portions. Get the spaghetti and meatballs--Fabulous(Cheers chef)! Amenities (pool, laundry, convenience store, and parking) are easy access and very nice. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

I definitely recommend this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful to me when I asked questions about the surrounding area. My room was very clean and well kept. Everyday that I stayed, the housekeeping staff would check on my room and ask if I need anything, Plain and simple...this hotel was way worth the price.

I did book the hotel due to the proximity to the airport. The hotel is okay, staff is friendly. You need ear plugs (provided in the room) when facing the highway. The room was okay, only the carpet in front of the window was completely wet. The hotel doesn't offer continental breakfast (you have an menu but the offerings doesn't seem to be good).

I had forgotten about the international dateline, arriving a day before our reserved date. They accommodated us with a wonderful room at a price close to our reservation price. Being that it was 2 am, we were most grateful that they helped us out. Everyone was sincerely nice and helpful. We will definitely stay they again if need be. One small item, I do wish they had a shuttle to down town, as taking a taxi was most expensive. Also, it is important to note that there is a shuttle to and from the airport. This is important because the Honolulu Airport closes at about 11pm and there are no taxis anywhere to be found at the time at night.

I cannot articulate how pleasant my stay has been, while here at Best Western! Amalia has been my room attendant since 10/12 and her service has been exceptional. I felt my space was respected and my requests were honored! I will be here two additional weeks, but I'm sure she'll continue with great hospitality! Thanks Amalia for all that you do!

High floor facing the airport/runway perfect for spotting all departures easy to see, Hickman arrivals all turn short again though you can still get them from the room, windows open as well..........McD and dunkin doughnuts next door

We have been here for few days now and have received nothing but awesome service! The food and beverage staff has been so nice. The food is very good! I had the sweet bread French toast with coconut syrup and it was so delicious. Dinner was great. There are many items to choose from even for the kids. James was very nice, he talked us through the menu to make sure we all got exactly what we wanted for dinner. He definitely made us feel at home! We've had housekeeping come to our room everyday, even on the weekend. Our housekeeper Mercy makes sure that our room is always stocked and clean. We really appreciate her hard work. She is really good at what she does. Everyone here has been so helpful and friendly. I use to work In the hospitality industry and I am absolutely amazed by how well this hotel is staffed and run. I am so glad that we chose to stay here.

We ended up doing a stay-cation do to a misunderstanding. It turned out very enjoyable. Breakfast were on target and roo service was very good a good mention for Ms Amalia who always maade sure our room was cleaned and properly supplied.

Great hotel with cheap price for Oahu. Pool is really mellow and nice. Just pretend highway noise is the ocean. Convenient to hit north shore and Waikiki area events. Very comfortable room with king bed. Plenty of space. Cheap parking compared to other hotels and no resort fee that I noticed. Great way to be close to airport and still be able to be mobile all over.

We were sent here by our airline when our flight was delayed by 14 hours. We were given a large, spacious room on the 10th floor. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to nap and shower while waiting for our flight. There is a large, beautiful courtyard with a pool. McDonalds is directly next door and there is a convenience store and restaurant in the hotel itself. Nice and close to the airport. Our room had views overlooking the mountains. Although the rooms seem a bit dated, this hotel is more than adequate for short stays, or for people who plan to be out and about enjoying honolulu!

We stayed at this hotel for one night before a flight. It is literally across the road from the airport. Great location, but there is nothing special about the hotel. The room was fine and clean. It was expensive for one night and almost made me want to stay closer to Waikiki Beach for the price. There was a shuttle every half hour to the airport. We were running late and the shuttle driver was nice enough to take us to the airport to make it in time for our flight.

We stayed here for 4 nights and we loved it. Families who traveled with their pets are welcome.They have a swimming pool, laundry and 24Hr shuttle. They also served breakfast and dinner. The location is close to gas station, restaurants and relatively close to a major highway although its a little loud at night but its tolerable. The staffs are friendly and very welcoming. Our assigned room attendant Ms. Mercy took care of us for the duration of our stay. She is professional and showed us the unique style of Hawaiian hospitality. Hotel was decent. Kids loved the pool. Close to the base and to different restaurants. They gave us food vouchers to use at the restaurant at the hotel. Our room attendant Amalia was Awesome. She was very nice and polite!

I would definitely stay here again. I normally need a hotel really last minute and best western is always booked so I'm sure that says a lot about the comfort here. I finally got to book a room here in advance and the stay was great.

One night stay after a seemingly never ending day of travel from the UK. Really convenient for a quick overnight stay being 5 minutes from the airport. Road noise is a real problem here, sometimes it feels as though the card are driving through the room with a surround sound that most home cinema systems would be proud of. Not too surprising I guess as it is built under a flyover. Room was mostly clean but had a stale smell and some debris in the bath. So in summary, does what is says on the box but not the best for sleep quality.

This hotel is near the airport and right on Nimitz freeway so a little noisy. But, the room is larger than hotels in town and you can avoid the traffic nightmare for the most part. Some good local restaurants within walking distance, don't let the industrial area fool you

Yes, I would recommend this hotel to a friend and his/her family. The house keeper "Mercy" was very friendly and she did a good job in cleaning our room daily. We stayed here for over a week now and two more weeks to go with no issues. Great services and also good location to stay for military PCSING or TAD.

The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and had us into our rooms well before check in. The WiFi was flawless. The pool and surroundings were clean. The dinner menu was very good and our food was served promptly and prepared to our liking. The only downside to this hotel is it is trapped in the center of a freeway system. However, it is very close to the airport and if you have business and aren't sight seeing this is an excellent hotel.

Mercy is always so sweet and it's always a pleasure to see her. Mercy goes above and beyond to make sure we're happy with our stay here. She is a very hard worker, we always look forward to seeing her every morning, even if we don't need anything. we love her!

Best Western is conveniently located right outside the Honolulu Airport. Close to the Navy Exchange & many good restaurants. For us, it was right in the middle of everything. Equal distance to every destination we went to, which was perfect. More importantly, it is located just about 15 minutes away from Tripler Hospital (which was the reason for our visit to Hawaii in the first place). The service we received at the hotel was good too. The room attendant, Amalia, was great with our housekeeping services. We always came back to an extra clean room. The hotel itself was great, but it was the first hotel I've been in that doesn't have balconies. But it's okay... it's safer for the kids that way. It's right next to the freeway & the airport, but the sound of the vehicles, bikes, planes & helicopters going by made it more interesting, most especially for my son. He's so used to hearing them back home, so he enjoys the sounds. Every time he heard a bike or helicopter go by, he'd push the chair to the window & just stare at it as it goes by.

I was expecting a little more from this hotel when I decided to stay here for the first day of my Hawaiian vacation. I chose this hotel based on its proximity to the airport, which was very convenient when I landed in Honolulu after a 12 hr flight. However the hotel is a little bit rundown and is located right next to a large busy highway, neither of which gave a very nice first impression. The hotel is close to Pearl Harbour, but far from the city center & nice beaches. My room was quite nice though, with a great view of the surrounding hills & forests.

I want to express my great appreciation to the Front desk agent, Maam Carissa. I missed my flight at night & I needed a hotel to stay. That time I forgot to bring my power adaptor which I needed to charge my phone. Without any second thought Carissa offered to personal power adopter. It really saved me from worrying. Thanks Carissa for doing the extra mile service.

Came here for a PCS with my family, and had to stay at this hotel for over a month. The rooms were very comfortable, and spacious enough for long term stays. Wish the refrigerator was a little bigger. The hotel is very military friendly which we love. The restaurant downstairs was perfect for breakfast every day or an occasional dinner. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. We loved our room attendant, Amalia!

We stayed here while waiting for our housing to become available and we enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is located within walking distance of several restaurants. Although the hotel restaurant was a little pricey, the food was really good. We were traveling with our dog and they made it really convenient by putting us in a room that allowed easy access outside and to the designated pet areas. House keeping was very attentive. Whenever Maria was working she made sure we had everything we needed. She was awesome! Overall, we had a great stay at the Best Western.

This Best Western is very near (like ON) the highway. Very loud outside but did not notice noise on the inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. We only stayed for one night before boarding the cruise ship but I was happy with the hotel. If I wanted to stay in Honolulu for an extended period of time I would book something closer to the beach but this hotel was fine just for the night.

We stayed here for a night before catching an early international flight. This hotel is only 5 minutes away from airport with free hotel shuttle, which scheduled to leave hotel on every 30 minutes (we are supposed to get there 10 minutes earlier) We got a corner room which was a lot larger than the regular BW hotel room. The room is comfortable but the downside is that it was located next to the freeway so there were plenty of street noise. There's a restaurant and a convenient store on site. If you are looking for food options passed 9pm, IHOP and L&L Hawaiian Grill are within 5 minutes walking distance, also there's a McDonald which opens 24 hour right next door. Our wait time for check-in and check-out took longer than expected because there's only one staff at the front desk.

We were stuck for a week trying to get back on a military flight and this hotel worked well with our changing schedules without late fees and cancelation fees. The Internet was great, pool, restaurant on site and so close to the base. We had a wonderful room attendant Amalia who always cleaned super fast and was kind to the kids. We stayed on the 8th floor of the new building and had zero issues with the room. The front desk was always helpful and courteous. Thank you for supporting the military lifestyle!

The Plaza Hotel is conveniently located only a few minutes drive from Honolulu International Airport. We stayed there for one night after a late international arrival and early departure of our domenstic connecting flight. We arrived so late that the regular shuttle service was not running any more, but after calling the hotel they arranged for the shuttle to pick us up anyway. The staff at reception was really nice, check-in and check-out was uncomplicated and quick. Our room was clean and spacious with a large and comfortable bed. We did not have breakfast as we had to leave rather early in the morning. For an overnight stay in transit the hotel was just what we needed and I would absolutely stay there again.

The hotel provided us with excellent service from check in to check out. Mercy brought extra blankets for my children without us asking and was very attentive to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Entire staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Amalia kept our room clean and was willing to work around our schedule. Hotel is close to airport so noise is expected but was not too bad on airport side. We asked to move our original room that was near the road because noise was terrible. Desk staff was understanding and changed our room quickly. Not a luxury hotel on the beach but just fine for traveling and exploring the island.

Staying for over a week with my Army Daughter who is PCSing had a great stay and an extra clean room thanks to the greatest housekeeper ever Mercy!Also front desk and all the other Hiusekeepers were just as friendly!

Over priced, old room, staff not friendly. no lift for second storey, no offer to assist with bags from staff. ground floor room reserved for guest with pets....dont worry about families travelling with young children, pets are more important. gets kids to lug bags upstairs. room facing busy road. better of sleeping in airport than pay the rates you have to here....btw, no breakfast stay elsewhere

We chose this hotel for its closeness to the airport and courtesy airport shuttle. There were no reservations for the shuttle. You show up at the time you want to leave and they take you to your airline. We were awarded a special room with many windows that was large because we are diamond members. The room itself was nothing fancy. We were so close to the airport that we could see it from our window. However, we couldn't hear it. We had to leave too early in the morning to take advantage of getting their free breakfast, but having just arrived in the late afternoon from the East Coast, we were up at 4:00 a.m. anyway, so we chose to walk to the next-door McDonald's to eat. McDonald's is open all of the time, even at the early time we went to it. We had no issues with the hotel at all. If you stay at this hotel, it will be fine for the night.

The staff was very accommodating, the room was in great shape, updated and clean. Location is right at the airport for convenience but maybe not for a long term vacation stay unless you are renting a car and can drive to local tourist areas. The room was much quieter than expected due to the businesses of the hotel.

Place really needs a facelift. Hall carpets are worn and tattered but the rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Price is crazy high for this quality of hotel. Hotel is noisy no double pane windows for this place so bring earplugs. Contrary to most Best western, breakfast if not included but they do make good eggs benny. The staff is courteous and friendly. It served our purpose since we were picking up our car at the airport the next morning so the “free” shuttle was well appreciated. But there is a big sign in shuttle that suggest 1$ tip suitcase. The driver is very helpful and courteous so I would say suggested tipping is in line with the service received.

She does a very good job and is always helpful and cheerfuland she is very professional in her job and is a great employee and they are glad that they have her working here.a always has a smile and a great attitude.

Last minute trip to meet up w family. Wanted to stay close to base. Nice clean hotel, friendly staff and right on the bus line for easy access to other locations! My housekeeper was Maria and she was excellent. Very friendly and took care of my needs very quickly! Only downfall is that it's right next to the highway so at times it does get a bit noisy but it's only during certain times of the day.

Stayed here on a business trip. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and conveniently located near Pearl Harbor. The room was clean, comfortable and a perfect base of operations for my visit. The restaurant is good, the food is tasty. Service was quick and friendly. The hotel staff was friendly and pleasant. This is a good place to stay if you visit Honolulu. Location: Excellent for a one-night layover. The complimentary shuttle between hotel & airport was efficient and drivers were friendly & helpful. Room: Very clean and bed was comfortable. However, A/C could not be adjusted. I overheard that some rooms are too hot and some are too cold. Mine was too cold but the comforter helped. Front counter staff: Not too friendly, slow but got the job done. Restaurant: Was going to have breakfast there but waited for over 5 mins and there was nobody around. No wait staff and no host. So I was afraid the service would be slow too and went to MacDonald's, which was just next door. Service there was excellent. This hotel is located very close to the airport and highways. I requested a room away from the freeway and higher floor and was granted what I requested. I thank the person who set aside a quiet room for me. I am a BW Gold member but received no recognition for loyalty because I booked my room through a 3rd party. Not that I care about the free bottle water and the snacks, but I think staff should at least recognize my loyalty for choosing BW over other hotels even I didn't book directly. The front desk staff specifically said that since I booked through Expedia, they don't recognize the membership. It was a bit blunt and disappointing. Other than that, the stay was excellent for a one-night layover.

Had a very pleasant stay for 2 weeks at the best western plaza hotel. The beds and pillows could be a little softer though. Try not to get a room right next to the highway though, you can hear traffic 24/7.

This hotel is convenient to the airport at Honolulu, especially with the free shuttle taking you to and from the airport. It is ,though, a bit run down (rugs) with out-of-date decor. The nearby McDonald's is useful for a quick snack before crashing and trying to recover from jet lag. Ok place to stay in between long flights like between the mainland and Australia and New Zealand (a stop over....)

We stayed one night at the Best Western after arriving in Oahu in the late evening after a long day of flying. It was a perfect place to get a good night's sleep prior to picking up our car rental at the airport, doing a visit to Diamond Head and then driving to our final destination on the North Shore. We found our room a bit dated but clean and comfortable, and was a reasonable price. The shuttle from the airport was quick and convenient. The hotel was located so close to the airport we actually walked back the next day to pick up our car rental. There was breakfast at the hotel restaurant but there was also a number of restaurants within close proximity.

Staying one night as a layover, hotel is clean, staff is friendly and easy to work with. Shuttle to and from airport. 12 floors with bottom 5 floors for parking, great view of city. Cons not particularly close to anything other than the airport, $40 to taxi to Waikiki which I thought was pricey (but has nothing to do with hotel other than distance from town). Overall this is a clean hotel for a layover but I would be disappointed if staying for a vacation.

Throw-up in and around elevator- couldn't be cleaned up until maids were off break; other elevator wasn't working; no stairs until 3rd floor; loud parties on our floor-nothing done; filthy, disgusting

Stayed for last night on Oahu as we had an early flight out in the morning to NZ. Our room was clean, quiet. The staff made us welcome. We had been staying down in Waikiki and then moved out to friends at Pacific Palisades Due to the wet weather and congestion on the motorways early morning decided to Move to hotel near the airport. Could recommend this hotel if you are in transit, handy and with shuttle service. Will stay at this hotel again, for sure.

From April till July, we are staying at the hotel till we can move into our home. This place makes us feel at home when we get to see our room attendant Grace. She is like family to us. Every day my 2 boys and baby girl enjoy greeting her and getting blessings from her. She takes care of us and preparing our rooms neatly before we get back to the hotel with a long day of traffic, work, school, and stress. Thank you Tita Grace!

Highly recommend The Plaza Hotel if you are PCSing to Hawaii or just visiting in general! We have been here for nearly a month (arrived 4/28) and will likely be here another month. The hotel and staff are extremely accommodating to Military and their families, and have made the transition easier. Our room attendant, Amalia, is fantastic in every sense of the word. She is professional, helpful, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable of the area when asked. Our room always looks pristine when we return from a day of exploring. Employees like her are hard to find! Our stay at The Plaza Hotel has been wonderful and thanks to AMALIA for going above and beyond! I hope they appreciate her as much as we do! Also, there are many food options within walking distance of the hotel. Mcdonalds, Jamba Juice, Big Kahuna, Ninja Sushi, L & L Barbeque, Ihop, and many more. However, if you are looking for breakfast options I HIGHLY recommend eating at the hotel as their breakfast is 10/10. We will be recommending The Plaza Hotel to any and everyone!

The room is tidy and gives you more than enough amenities for a great stay. Amalia is awesome. She does a great job cleaning rooms. I noticed this when I met her as she was leaving my room. She was nice and courteous. All workers were knowledgeable and reliable during my visit. I will be staying here again if I were to visit Oahu.

This lovely hotel was our home for 60 days; perfect view, pool, walking distances to mcdonalds, dunkin donuts, ihop, starbucks + jamba juice, sushi, korean bbq n etc..The plaza is not a 5 star hotel, but from the front desk to the housekeeping staffs are the super friendly and very accommodating to our needs. Love the cleanliness of our room thanks to Mercy for making us feel at home and always checking in on us. Thank you Mercy and Staffs.

My family and I have been staying at the Best Western for two weeks now, and so far we've had a great experience. This location is near highways, which allows easy access. There's a handful of good eating location at a walking distance. Staff here is great, they're friendly and professional. Our housekeeper Amalia is wonderful. She's always helpful and taking care of our needs. She makes us feel at home during a time where we're under some stress with moving from the mainland to the island. Overall we're very satisfied with everyone and everything here.

This is our second time staying at this property. The first time we stayed was for 45 days straight three years prior due to a military move. This hotel does so much to welcome the military and their families to the island. They not only give you free parking for the TLA program, but also meal credits for the onsite restaurant. Our second stay was this one for 10 days as we are moving away from the island. Imagine our surprise when upon walking into the restaurant for dinner the first night, we were greeted by a hug from Techi, who remembered us from three years prior! The staff at the restaurant for our first visit was amazing and they continued to be for this stay as well. James, Michael, Techi, and Ramon in the restaurant all remembered our family from the three years prior and greeted us like we were long time friends. It blew us away that they remembered us! The food in the restaurant is great and well priced. The breakfast offers very large portions, as well as the dinner! The menu has changed a bit from what we remember but everything was delicious. I have worked in the hotel industry for several years and this is great food at a great price for Oahu standards. The rooms are nice and clean, and I believe they may have been updated since our last stay. Our housekeeper ( Zeniada?) was always sweet and cleaned our room with great attention to detail. We will always recommend this hotel to friends moving to the island. Everyone at the property greets you kindly and genuinely feels like they care about you. the property does have small issues, like the parking being tight and it being a bit noisy from the highway noise. But to us, it is still the best service you could find and that definitely outweighs the negatives to us. Mahalo Best Western for making the beginning and ending of our time in Oahu so easy!

The workers are very customer friendly, especially Beau and Raymant. Hey, they were able to put up with me and that's saying a lot. The Hotel is near all the military bases and the airport with easy access. The parking is a bit of a bite. But it worked for me. I would recommend it and would stay there again. Checking in and out was a breeze. This time I had the floor with all the party-ers but I could have gotten a less convenient floor. Considering all the traffic and guests, the staff just manage to do an amazing job. Again, Beau was super. Hopefully she will be on the desk when you check-in.

We stayed here 3 nights while we had a look around Honolulu before going to the west coast of the island. The shuttle service to/from the airport is good and the hotel is right next to a bus stop where you can catch buses to all the major sites. For $5.50 you get a 1 day pass. The room was clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly. The only slight negative, which the hotel can't do anything about, was the road noise next to the pool area which was quite loud.

We stayed here both on arrival and before departure from the airport during a recent visit. On arrival we used the courtesy phone (just a couple of carousels down the hall from our bag pick-up) following the clear instructions for the hotel. We were given clear directions (over the crossing, go left until green curb) to the bus, which was with us within minutes. It was driven by a friendly, helpful and informative young man. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist, and our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good night's sleep - followed by a leisurely, delicious breakfast. Hotel was very convenient for car rental pick-up. Equally pleased during outward journey. We arrived early, but our cases were taken from us, we sat by the pool, and our room was actually ready for us ahead of time. The evening meal was every bit as good as breakfast had been. There is, indeed, traffic noise, but it did not disturb our sleep at all. It was more intrusive whilst sat at the pool. Would definitely use this hotel again if visiting Hawaii in the future.

I only stayed here one night...and was glad that it wasn't more. The staff made a vague attempt at being friendly, but wasn't very convincing. As I struggled to pull my suitcase over the unevenly stone tiled floor, TWO staff members stood watching, and didn't even bother to ask if I needed help. The room was clean, but there is mould growing around the tap and border of the bath. Breakfast was more or less disastrous...don't be fooled by photos of beautifully displayed fruit. None of that...just a drab dining room with tired looking waiters. I ordered a coffee with hot milk, but received a bowl of pre packed 'milk' and about 10 minutes later a separate cup of Luke warm milk. The food was tasteless and so greasy (as in a layer of oil floating on the omelet). I get that this is a budget hotel...but even so, it really was quite grim. The only good thing I have to say is that their Wifi is free and acceptably fast.

Even though this is next to a freeway, the room we had was exceptionally comfortable and quiet. This was our last night in Hawaii, and Best Western provided us with a very nice night's stay. The shuttle was very prompt and we were able to easily make our flight. This is probably the best Best Western property we have stayed throughout our travels in the U.S.

Was booked for 10 days; stayed 7 before returning home. Room a bit noisy as it faced the highway - ask for a room not facing highway. A/C ran a bit loud it seemed, but didn't spend a lot of time in the room - picked for price and location to where I was working. Nice store in lobby with drinks/snacks - very friendly. Laundromat on site - was expensive for convenient. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

Having arrived at 20:00 after a 24 hour journey, I didn't have the energy to rent a car and drive to our final destination. The Best Western Plaza Hotel is ideally situated close to the airport and with a shuttle bus to take to back and forth when needed. i only stayed one night, but the room was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It wasn't particularly cheap at £206 (around $300), but August in Hawaii! What did I expect. I'll recommend the Plaza, but only as a stopover at the airport.

We stayed at the Best Western Plaza Hotel when my husband and I were in the process of getting our house in Hawaii. We stayed from March 16, 2018 - April 24, 2018 and our housekeeper Maria was such a ray of sunshine. She always made sure we had clean towels and always went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed! I will miss her smilingly face in the mornings, as she brightens anyone's day she comes in contact with and you can tell she enjoys what she does and is SO good at it! She definitely deserves a raise! Thank you best western staff for having us and a special thank you to Maria! I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family when they come to visit! This was a basic, no frills hotel but we only needed a one night stay so decided to save some money. Still was $169/night through Expedia. Clean room, standard size and it was surprisingly quiet. Our room looked to the back of a factory of some sort but it was a Friday night so no activity there. They have a pool, small but surprisingly pretty with bushes/trees all around instead of a tacky fence. The restaurant is open for breakfast early but is not open for dinner every night which was not advertised on their website. We got into the hotel at 7pm starving and found that out. They did have a pleasant Shuttle driver that took us over to their 'sister' hotel 5 min away. That meal wasn't very good at all with terrible service. This is an Industrial area around the airport so nothing else around except a McDonalds to go and eat at. It is the closest to the Pearl Harbor Memorial which is how we chose it. Small gift shop with overpriced food items (4.99 for a pkg of Goldfish crackers).

I stayed in this hotel for 31 days while I waited for Military Housing. Overall, it was a decent place to stay. The driver of the shuttle van was quick to pick us up and very friendly. The front desk staff is very knowledgeable, and helped with correcting my reservation. (I booked using the government rate and not the TLA rate). And our housekeeping lady, Mercy, was super friendly and thorough. The wait staff at the restaurant were always cheerful and helpful. Here's our stream of conscience: - The king size bed was dangerously comfortable. More than one day disappeared because of a surprise nap. - Our TV was upgraded from a 36in to a 55in, which was super nice. - The refrigerator and microwave were standard sizes for a hotel. - The bathroom had one vanity and bathtub that was just a little too shallow for a nice relaxing bath. - The pool area was rarely crowded and had a decent size. Chairs and Tables and clean water. But quite a few ants... - Complementary WiFi allowed for four devices. Which for two technologically immersed people is about half as many as we needed. - The location was fairly convenient. Hickam is about an hour walk or 8 min drive, and the Pearl Harbor NEX was about the same. - The floor would get wet whenever it rained, which I found really weird. - Parking was free for guests, and the garage is floors two through five, with six through twelve for the rooms. - There were two elevators, and no choice to use the stairs. There was no service elevator, and the two elevators they did have were slow. Especially at rush hour. - There are four washing machines and four dryers on the first floor, but they are $3.25 per load, each. - There was a free gym on the twelfth floor. It's not real big, but there are some free weights and one bench, two treadmills, and some other things. - On Tues, Wed, and Thurs, the restaurant is closed, and guests are directed to Airport Honolulu Hotel's restaurant, which is honestly better. It's just a 10min walk... - The number of homeless people right outside the hotel is a little concerning.

Not too far from the airport and a few miles away from Waikiki. Housekeeping did an extraordinary job with the rooms. Also, not that far away from JBPHH and the Arizona Memorial. Would gladly stay here again.

My wife and I stayed in the hotel, after long travel, we received good greeting from the front desk, she is very helpful and considerate, thanks, the facility is good and clean. Very near the airport, easy to return our car rental.

Imagine my dismay, after my last experience, when I learned we'd been booked into this hotel to attend a work training. My room was in the main tower (as opposed to a room off the alley like last time). We were checked in by Beau at the front desk. Best Western couldn't ask for a better representative. My room during this stay was WAY better - clean and updated. Still a little noisy but tolerable (this is an airport hotel after all). I wouldn't recommend this property as a base for your Oahu vacation, but it's very convenient when you need a location close to the airport. This was a very positive experience. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. If I could give half stars, I'd rate this stay 3.5.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times, and each time, the hotel benefits get worse and worse.The staff is a hardy bunch of friendly people, but I have a feeling this is a case of management cutting the corners for a profit. Out of 4 nights, 3 times we needed the staff to change towels. We are not talking about a spots—some of these towels looked like they were used in a crime scene clean up. Parking prices are just like those in Waikiki, but this hotel is not near Waikiki. They used to have an outside company that provided a shuttle service to the NEX, and that was great because while I was at work, my wife could take in some shopping. Maybe the management should do something like that. If you are looking for a hotel with a friendly staff, and away from Waikiki traffic, this is a moderate hotel with normal Waikiki prices. They used to offer all you can eat crab on Fridays, bar, and dining everyday, but that too Iha's been cut back.

Would recommend anyone to stay here when you can get something comparable in Waikiki or another neighborhood. If you're just there overnight and want to be close to the airport then it's ideal otherwise would not recommend.

A convenient place to stay (nothing fancy) if you have to stay overnight to change planes at Honolulu airport. Unfortunately I had to wait at least 20 minutes for the shuttle even though I used the special phone in the baggage area and was told it would only be five minutes. I had to go back and make another call and was told the shuttle driver was busy dropping people off and was on his way. Going back to the airport was quick and easy since they don't have other hotels they need to stop at. Most of the people I saw walking around the hotel were wearing military uniforms since it is near Pearl Harbor rather than close to other tourist sites. It is a very standard older hotel but my room was spacious and the bathroom was clean with a hot shower. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning worked great! I was wiped out from an overnight flight and was so grateful they had a clean room for me just after 10 am when the housekeeping staff showed up. Even though the black-out curtains were difficult to arrange and I had to use clothespins to keep them shut, I managed a nap. The planes weren't too bothersome and there wasn't a huge amount of street noise despite the nearness of the freeways. The location is very industrial so I can't say much for the view. My other complaint is the lack of free breakfast and the very limited restaurant hours. The fact that they didn't even serve dinner the night I was there was a problem for me because there are only a handful of small restaurants close by. My experience with the staff was positive—someone even brought me an extra blanket right away when I called the front desk late at night! There is a local bus route close by that goes to Waikiki Beach but I didn't take it since the weather was terrible. If you want to save money it is much cheaper than taking a taxi!

We'd booked into the Plaza Hotel as we were returning from Maui and were heading back to Australia the next day. Location and cost wise this seemed like a good choice. Our flight was landing at Waikiki airport at about 11.30am and I'd booked a tour for 1.30pm. We collected our baggage and rang the hotel to request the shuttle bus. We knew it should only take 10 minutes or so to arrive. Half hour later still no shuttle so we rang again. About 10-15 minutes later it arrived. The driver said he'd only received one request, the last one. We arrived at the hotel, asked for a taxi and left our bags to check after we'd returned from our tour. No apology until we checked in later. The hotel's quite nice and we liked our room. Could do better.

Very enjoyable and quiet. The rooms were nice and clean. The cleaning staff, Kat, was very sweet and pleasant to talk to. The restaurant had good food although a little pricey. The facility had laundry right on their property which was helpful as I am out here on business and I only brought so many pieces of clothing.

It located near the city. All staffs are much supportive. It can be easily reachable by all type of transports. No problem stay again in the coming future too. It will be lovable for all age types. Nice decorated.

I stayed at the Best Western/ The Plaza Hotel. I had great service there. Thank you to my room attendant Mercy! She does a great job with cleaning the rooms and has a wonderful cheerful personality each and every day! I really enjoyed my stay there. Thank you!

Opened my window and could see the freeway about 20 feet away. I could hear the noise when I opened the door. Nice view lol. Hotel did move me to another room on the side of the building. Like most places I have stayed in Hawaii for business staff kinda treats you like you should be glad to be here. It was outside of downtown which for me was good because the traffic here is horrible. Parking was $30 per night, a lot of guest park on the street when possible. Fast food is the only nearby option. The hotel restaurant was decent. You might enjoy the pool if you can stand the noise from the freeway right next to you. Don't fall for pics, there's not much to view unless you in a high floor to not look at the surrounding warehouses and businesses.

We stayed at this hotel when we were coming in from Virginia, my husband was assigned to a ship in pearl harbor. Our stay at the hotel was about a month and a half. They helped out a lot with giving us meal vouchers to help with our expenses. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The house keeping lady who took care of was amazing, due to my family's crazy schedule she would let us sleep in and take care of our room later. Amalia always made us feel right at home. Also on Tuesday to Thursday we would go eat at the sister property down the road and they have a super friendly waiter named Tim. We enjoyed when we had on of his tables , he was always friendly and always on top of things. the downfall of this place was the parking. We had a mid sized SUV and they have very limited parking for a bigger sized car.

This poor excuse of a hotel had one thing going for it - the location right beside the airport. but sadly, it is in dire need of an upgrade and a thorough cleaning. The rooms on the eighth floor seemed above all the noise of street level, until we woke in the morning and noticed cars racing right past our window on the adjacent freeway-hmm

I have never been to Hawaii before and was there for medical reasons. I found it very easy to commute from this location to Tripler AMC when needed. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds made for a great night sleep. The cleaning staff didn't miss a beat and the staff in the lobby were quick to help. I did run into some trouble making my reservations via phone in regards to how I felt I was being spoken to but this was minor. Great place to stay.

We only got a day rate as we fly out at 10pm that night. First thing I notice was the attitude the front desk lady showed the 2 US military personnel that checked in before us. The front desk person was very short and blunt with the officers, and she was the same with me. As I checked in, she called the maid service to inform them to clean our room right at 6:00pm (remember; we were on a day rate). Just a little hint to me that I needed to get out right at 6:00pm. When she found out that I was a Platinum member, her attitude completely changed, offering me to stay longer at no charge, willing to store my luggage while I went for supper. Her change in attitude was offensive, why treat people differently based on status. All in all the rooms are dated, very noisy, the little store was very overpriced, and I didn't even want to eat in the cafe. The hotel is completely encircled by freeways and right next to the airport. I travel a lot, stayed in a number of Bestwestern Hotels in my travels, this was one of the worst. I was happy to leave the hotel.

Has a 24 hour shuttle to the airport and the rooms are very clean. Our room attendant was Mercy and she did a fabulous job keeping the room very clean and well stocked. Many things are within easy walking distance but a car will be needed to get to the beach. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Honolulu, especially if in the military.

First, if you are military you have to make reservations with the military liaison. This is so they can rip off the government by charging a rate near your TLA limit. When I explained that I would be paying out of my own pocket he gave me a lower rate to include (pet fee, parking and tax). When I checked in the military liaison seemed surprised and confused at the rate he gave me. After explaining myself again he decided to change my rate to exclude pet/parking/taxes costing 16% more. Not having another place for my family to stay I felt trapped and forced to accept the new terms. Upon checking in I learned, the hotel allows a local homeless man with an apparent mental health instability to wander the lobby, courtyard, and mini mart to make purchases. We shortened our stay from 10 nights to one leaving the next day. Changing the terms of our reservation is unacceptable, especially when your family is in the middle of a PCS move. Also allowing the homeless to wander the property freely is a matter of safety for my children. I will not recommend or stay at a Best Western again.

I chose this place because it was by the airport, and we only needed one night until rest of our family got here. The free airport shuttle picked us up quickly. Check in was easy, nice young men at the front desk. The room was on the 12th floor. The hallway walls and carpet looked a bit scary, but the room was very nice and clean. No marks on the walls, carpet looked clean everywhere, furniture looked good ( no dings or scratches). The bathroom was a bit small, but very clean. The bathtub/shower tile grout and caulking were good and clean. And the bath towels were clean, white, and fluffy; not at all worn out. The beds were kind of small (full size), but, hey, there were 2 of them, so we each had a bed! And they were comfortable. Loved the sheets! Since we had the whole evening to find a place to eat, decided to go to Waikiki. So easy to get there and back on the bus which has stops, both ways, right out the front door of the hotel. And cost $2.75/person each way! The most annoying thing about the place was the traffic noise, which I started to notice as I was laying in bed, in the dark, at 5:00AM (my bio clock thought it was 8:00 o'clock because of time difference). But I did not notice it at all the night before when I went to bed at 10:00PM, because my body thought it was 1:00AM and ready to sleep. So if you are looking for something to bug you, the traffic noise could. But not a problem for me. Good place.

If you get into the troll kings court up high in the tower it's not so bad, but if you are in the courtyard with the troll peasants the road noise from the overpass will keep you up, every Harley on the island will be sure to rev their engine as they pass on the lower road under the overpass to let you know how loud they can be.

I need to give a big shout out to both mrs Annie and mrs Rowena for being so great and taking care of all our needs. These two have been the best house keepers we could ask for. Been here for nearly 60 days and they both have been so great to me and my family. The rest of the staff from the front desk to the restaurant have all been great I would recommend this hotel to anyone based on the staff...

We stayed here from Feb 14, 2018 until Feb 17, 2018. What can I say the traffic noise was unbelievable. There are three different highways beside, above and further above. My husband who has hearings aids could not sleep because of the noise. The room was clean and adequate, bed was good, shower was hot. They advertise an onsite restaurant but the hours are limited. No dinner service during the week, but you can take a shuttle to another sister restaurant. We did that once meal was okay. We did eat breakfast on site, which was very good. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Out door pool closes at 7:00p.m. no exceptions so therefore if you wanted to be outside in the fresh air you sat at or near the smoking table that was more than full. But the biggest disappointment for us was our rooms were on a second floor addition. Thus the noise problem we faced the freeways and there was no elevator. So staying in Hawaii at various places for 2 weeks we hiked a lot of bags up a full set of stairs. I must say for the price IF we every go to Honolulu we wont stay there.

Let's sum it up this way - it's not a tropical vacation resort, but it's perfect for a quick overnight either on your way through HNL. We overnighted here and caught the early morning flight to the Big Island. Convenient to the airport - convenience shuttle so no need for Uber or rental car. Several restaurants within walking distance. Older hotel, but clean. Mattresses are not the best we've slept on, but okay for 1 night.

The Hotel offers great service. We experienced no issues, great housekeeping (Amalia), good food and excellent service from James the waiter and a very helpful from desk. Highly recommended for new Military personnel to the island, very short commute to your new station.

For an overnight stay convenient to the airport, this hotel can't be beat. Unfortunately, it is located near a busy freeway, with noise all night so good rest is out of the question. Rooms are clean, bath is laughably small, decor outdated, dining so dreary a short walk to McDonalds was the better choice. The room rate is high for the quality so plan on adding a cab or bus fare and go to a better option away from the airport.

I only used this hotel for one night when leaving from our stay on the north shore. It has a shuttle to the airport and most rental car returns are right on that street. So you can check in, return your car, have dinner in their restaurant and take their shuttle to the airport for your early morning flight. Room was clean. Front desk service was fast and courteous. Restaurant was pretty good, and open 6:30 am to 9 pm. This is not a place you would want to spend your vacation. It is right by the noisy freeway and in an industrial area by the airport. There is no parking in front of the hotel for check in. You get one hour free in their parking garage to check in..then they charge $3 an hour or $30 a day to park. There are a few restaurants within walking but not close to anything else

Average room, noisy location next to freeway and industrial section of town. Way over-priced for average accommodations. We chose it because of free airport shuttle. Other Best Western across the country much more pleasing.

This is the closest hotel for in Transit passengers at HNL. You could even walk to this hotel. It has clean rooms and reasonable prices. There is also a McD, BK and iHop next door when you are really hungry.

We had previously stayed 31 days at the Airport Best Western as part of a military move. We had an amazing experience, our room was fantastic and spacious. When moving again we decided to stay at the same hotel, difference being we had a pet now. The pet rooms are incredibly tiny, as a family of 4 our space was limited to say the least. The "pet friendly" rooms are also right next to H1 and the noise kept our cat extremely nervous and jumpy. We were given ear plugs at check in to combat the noise for ourselves. While we made this doable for the week we needed to stay, our biggest issue arose when our bathroom ceiling (which already had obvious patchwork) began pouring water from the ceiling. Water from holes now formed, from our ventilation fan, and from the heating light inside the shower. It was coming from our upstairs neighbor, and when notified maintenenaces solution was to have them turn their tub off. We were told to go about business as nornak and not given an option to move rooms, despite being an obvious electrical and health/air quality issue due to mold. If you are given a typical room in the tower, yes I would recommend this property as a conveniently located hotel, near the airport and BED among other locations. If you are looking for a pet friendly option, I would not put money towards a room here as it was fairly miserable at best.

Location is good for a couple night stay. Must have a car. No place in the area to walk unless your destination is subway or mcdonalds. Good food at the restaurant for breakfast. Reasonable priced items in the on site store.

The bathroom was not cleaned well. The toilet interior parts need repair. There was a hole in the shower area near the spout. We were there because the hotel i pet friendly and we need to get out dog away from the noise of the New Years eve fireworks. We paid a premium price because it was the eve and though we should have at least a decently clean room for the price.
