« Comfy stay for traveling family »

We were all comfortable, it was a convenient overnight stay on our road trip. Holbrook is a decent stop-over town but doesn't have much to offer as far as activities and restaurants, so the Best Western is particularly convenient with the breakfast option in the morning.

    « A sun stop »

We were Smowbirds on our way to Arizone to spend winer in the Phoenix area, It was late afternoon and we were westbound on I -40. We were tired and the low sun was hitting us head-on. So we ramped off at Holbrook to find a hotel. We saw the Best Western right away -- and they had a room for us. It met all our expectations. Quiet place, great sleep. Just what we needed. -- R & J

    « Friendly, Caring Staff »

There are many hotel options in Holbrook, based on the towns close proximity to Petrified Forest National Park. We were very happy with our choice of Best Western Arizonian Inn. Staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely care about our hotel experience during check in, breakfast, and check out. Rooms were spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Their location is walking distance to a couple of restaurants, Denny's is in the same parking lot and Mesa Restaurant is a quick walk away. It is a bonus to us to have a place to eat so close by after a long drive to get to the hotel. Breakfast was a hot buffet with eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal and some fresh fruit and prepared muffin and toast options available. Price of the rooms can't be beat! I would stay here again if I was in the area.

    « Great Value »

Clean, comfortable room with a small microwave a large mini-fridge. Not luxurious, but great value. We were there for Petrified Forest and it is great for that. Right off 40 and 180. Found a Safeway not too far away because we forgot toothbrush. Breakfast adequate. Plan to stay there again when returning to Petrified Forest.

    « Very nice! »

Given the great price, my expectations were modest. We were pleasantly surprised that the room was spacious, very clean, comfortable, very quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. We would not hesitate to return.

    « Fine »

Totally average chain hotel - nice clean rooms, good facilities. Service was rather slow at reception. As others have said, no elevators to upstairs rooms, so be sure to ask for first floor if needed.

« will never stay here »

I checked out his hotel the night before from the hotel I was staying in. when I got to this location, I saw an advertised price across the street at a competitor that was lower, so I went in this BW to see what kind of price they would give me. I knew the price, as I said should be around $76. The clerk offers me a room for over $100!! He gave me a song and dance about it being newly remodeled, free wifi, breakfast and the whole spiel. I asked if this was the best he could do. Yep. So I went to the parking lot and called the reservation number and inquired about a room at this location. I was told $ 76 and change. "would you like to reserve it"? HELL NO!! and give these thieves the ability to make a room key and possibly steal my stuff because I caught on to their scam. I will NEVER stay here myself and recommend NOONE stay here. EVER!!!

« Slightly Below Average Motel. »

Pictures were deceiving and we did not realize this is a Motel with doors on the outside of the building. No elevators either which is difficult for us older folks to haul our suitcases up the outside stairs. Rooms need some serious remodeling and the HAVC system and highway location made for noisy rooms. The breakfast room was very crowded and almost every table had wobbling issues. Food was barely edible with no choices for diabetic, vegan or gluten free persons. Would have liked to see fresh fruit instead of canned. Also there was no paper plates or cups so that food could be taken back to your room. Staff was also making a lot of noise clearing tables of plastic dishes, scraping them and washing them in the back room making it impossible to read the paper or watch the tv news. This is our 3rd disappointment with Best Western in the last year or so and I seriously doubt that we will return.

« Comfortable room and friendly staff »

This hotel is in a great location near to the highway. There is a Denny's next door and a fantastic italian restaurant minutes away (Black Mesa Restaurant). The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer a to-go breakfast snack bag if you are leaving before they serve breakfast. The building faces north so you can get away from the sun for most of the day. I have to go to Holbrook frequently for business and this will be the hotel I use from now on.

    4
    « Good for a Motel »

Whilst this is a fairly basic Motel, the staff were very helpful and we had a good size room on the ground floor. Parking was outside the room so very convenient. Breakfast was unexpectedly included and although it was simple fare it was not bad.

« Very clean, modern hotel with great location »

We stayed at the Holbrook Best Western Arizonian Inn for one night as part of our Route 66 adventure. We found the hotel really easily, it is in the northern part of town, on Navajo Boulevard. Check-in was slightly shambolic but our room, 251, was great on the second floor. It was very modern and clean with great facilities. There was a lot of free parking, and we parked right outside the room. There was a small outdoor pool but we didn't use it. We went to Taco Bell for our meal and had a bed picnic. The breakfast was great, and very popular. The staff were very attentive and kept everyone and everything moving.

    3
« OK for the money ... and one night only! »

Holbrook turned out to be a bigger place than we imagined and growing. This hotel is tired and the bed was small and awful (like being in a boat) with hard pillows too. The pool was closed which was a shame as the sun was warm. There is no safe in the room either. The breakfast was terrible - but Denny's is right opposite so we had a great breakfast - we recommend only booking a bed only option. Ok for one night if on a road trip and wanting easy access to the Petrified Forest, but would not recommend for any longer stay.

    5
« What a great place to stay! »

Great place! VERY clean. Good price. Free breakfast was very tasty and the staff was great. We have stayed in much pricier rooms and not had as good an experience as we did here. Definitely the best place we stayed on this particular trip. We will recommend it to our friends and will stay here again if in the area

    4
    « Will stay again »

We were driving to Phoenix, got tired and just stopped in. The staff was very kind and accommodating, even call the room to check if room was OK with us. Room was clean and the bathroom was newly renovated. Breakfast was handy and speedy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was the room price was a little high for what you are getting.

    4
    « Comfortable and Clean »

We stayed here two nights. One of our party was ill and the nice young woman at reception recommended the Snowflake Clinic. Really good outcome from that. The room was large and clean and the bed very comfortable. They offer your typical hot breakfast, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, etc. It was within walking distance of an Italian restaurant that had the Cubs game on. Awesome. It is also very close (maybe 25 minutes to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. There was a tour group from Holland who stayed here and they seemed pleased with everything.

    5
    « Best Western Trip »

This was one of the 4 Best Westerns we stayed in on our move to Texas. This was very nice and convenient. The staff was very nice in giving us directions to different eating places and stores. Our room was very quite and clean, with good hot showers. Breakfast was also good.

    4
« Nice place in Holbrook »

Visited here on a motorcycle trip through northern Arizona and the Route 66 region of Arizona. This property is on the route which meanders through Holbrook. While you're here check out the wigwam motel for the real deal Route 66 style!

    5
« Good place to stay in Holbrook »

We were here for 3 nights. We had a great stay. The room was comfortable and quiet even though the motel was very busy. The breakfast was good with a nice selection of items. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The internet was a little funky but not so much that I couldn't check emails.

    5
« Great Recommendation from Friends »

This Best Western was recommended to us by friends who have stayed at this motel in the recent past. They were pleased with this facility...and so were we. We travel through Holbrook, AZ twice a year and we plan to stay at this Best Western during future trips.

    5
« Nicely renovated Best Western with wonderful breakfast »

While traveling cross country with my poodle, I have usually checked out Best Western along with a few others who are frequently pet friendly. Since I have travelled with pets for years, I have stayed in many Best Westerns. This one is exceptional - excellent staff, superior renovations and quality of breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely stay here again.

    « bait and switch »

I made this reservation a month in advance. I even called to confirm ahead of time and let them know that I needed a ground floor room due to health issues. I called again the day of arrival and was informed that there were no rooms available of the type I booked available on the ground floor. To get a ground floor room, they charged me extra. Rude staff and would definitely not recommend it for this reason. Will say that it was a very quiet room.

    5
    « Relaxing and comfortable! »

Very nice hotel....comfortable beds, quiet and dark for sleeping, clean guest room, bathroom and hotel common areas, friendly, helpful and professional staff! Would recommend highly to others. Will stay here again if in the area.

« This is an update to my previous review »

While not noticed at check in, gradually through the night our room smelled more and more of wet dog. By this morning, it was pretty overwhelming. Pets are welcomed here, and most owners keep their dogs clean. Evidently, this was not the case with the previous guest. I wish this had been detectable when we were first shown our room. We would have asked for another room or gone elsewhere. This morning, I was not impressed by the hot breakfast which is part of the room charge. It was cramped and not organized well for an easy guest flow. Also, if you are a smoker (I am not) be warned that all rooms AND public spaces are No smoking. We were told honey could sit and smoke in the pool area, but it was locked.

    « Last Minute Find »

We had been planning to stay at Show Low AZ; but calling ahead every place we tried was booked. Finally we found the Arizonian in Holbrook. It turned out to be a very pleasant stay. Just what was needed after a long day in the car.

    5
« Best Holbrook has to offer »

My husband and I were in Holbrook for one night as we visited the National Parks. The Best Western Arizonian is very comfortable, convenient and clean. It had all the amenities we wanted such as WiFi, refrigerator in room and breakfast. I would go back in a minute and recommend it to other travelers. Great value.

    4
    « Great Hotel »

It was a very nice Hotel. Food was great for breakfast. Clean rooms. Nice workers. Over all a 9-10. Will stay as we return that way after trip. Great location and we will spread the word on the road and to our family and friends it is a very good place to hang you hat for the night while on the road.

    4
    « Better than expected »

This hotel was better than expected. We stayed one night after driving through and exploring the Petrified Forest Park. It's your pretty standard, smaller town Best Western. The room was large, clean. New tv. Didn't need the A/C, it was chilly outside. It was quiet, which I imagine varies as we weren't by the pool. Enough towels, water pressure was fine. Good hair dryer. Staff was very nice. Wifi included (thanks! I hate when hotels nickel and dime you for wifi). There's a Denny's on the property for food. We ate dinner and breakfast here. There is an included breakfast but we opted for Denny's, so I can't tell you how the breakfast is. The location is pretty easy to get to, it's on a main thoroughfare. This was a perfectly fine hotel, very reasonably priced, and suited our road tripping needs.

    « Love Holbrook! »

The size of the room was impressive! The layout of the room was a little inconvenient as the table was blocking the air conditioning. This Inn is at the far east end of Holbrook, but there are plenty of eating places in the area. The only problem we had, was that I had gone through Trip Advisor for booking on Priceline & if you book outside of Best Western's web site, you get the 2nd floor. As this is an older motel, this means going up stairs.

    5
« Lovely, easy to find property. »

Extremely clean, quiet and well located. Bathroom area bit cramped, but very modern and up to date. Would definitely stay there again. Pet friendly with good pet area tho not well pointed out, but bags supplied etc. Nice location for ice machines etc.

    « Hobrook Best Western »

I travel through Holbrook several times each year and whenever possible I always stop at the Arizonian Inn. The staff is always friendly and courteous, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Breafast is always hot and tasty as much as a hotel can make it. When you stop and stay there you wont be disappointed.

    « ok »

the hotel grounds looked ok. this was the first time we have seen a dennys on the hotel grounds. room was very nice. breakfast was as expected, but did not have to go coffee cups. had a problem, but check out was very good.

    5
    « Pleasanty Surprised »

This was the 4th and last motel my daughter and I stayed at on our 8 day road trip. Wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Room was quit comfortable, spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast was out of this world and a very attentive staff.Price was great! This motel topped all the others we stayed at. Highly recommend it.

    5
    « Excellent Experience »

This was an excellent hotel. The Staff was very friendly and helpful - the rooms are very comfortable, clean and they have free Wi-Fi which is a big plus. Plenty of parking and a Denny's in the same parking lot. This hotel is 100% worth staying at when in the area.

    5
    « Nice Room »

Had a very nice stay here. Room was large, bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. Breakfast was good. I would recommend this place to family and friends for a place to stay. Staff was nice and helpful in giving us the best directions to the petrified forest and painted desert. The only negative is we had to take stairs to the 2nd level with luggage in tow.

    4
« Surprisingly nice in Holbrook »

Since Holbrook is basically in the middle of nowhere and has a small population, I did not expect much, but my experience with Best Western properties has generally be good. This far exceeded expectations, with helpful, friendly staff throughout our stay of two days. The room was comfortable, beds very comfortable, internet speed was probably the best I've experienced in a hotel in the past 10 years!

    4
    « Great welcome »

Get the impression this is a family run hotel and no bad thing very welcoming , swimming pool very cold ,room clean but no room safe , breakfast was as good as any on our Route 66 trip small town but everyone welcoming

    5
« Very convenient and comfortable stay. »

Very nice property, next to Denny's. Easy to get to downtown, access to highways, auto services closeby along with local restaurants. Hotels breakfast was good with a variety of hot items and fresh fruits.

    5
    « Route 66 Charm »

Well maintained old-style Route 66 property with friendly, helpful, professional staff. Definitely a throw-back, very basic, but charming value. If you're looking for the Arizona retro experience, this is it.

    5
    « Great Stay »

This was a very comfortable place to stay. I have absolutely no complaints. The room was clean, everything was in working order, very quiet over night and breakfast was adequate and provided in an efficient and clean environment. It was a convenient in and out for a one night pass through stay. I would definitely use this hotel again.

    4
    « Overnight stay »

We have booked in the Holbrook for one night while traveling the 66 route to Phonix Arizona we arrived a 3pm requested a disabled room which we where given ,We also tried the hot tub and pool around 4.30 pm it was empty so we had the pool to our selves room large and comfortable bed this is our 3 stay in a best western over the last week and price paid was good

  • 5
« Nice place to stay. »

I love Best Westerns and this one is really a nice one. They have lovely, comfortable rooms and their breakfast is served in their restaurant on china plates with a breakfast buffet type set up. Marcie was at breakfast and made sure to keep coffee cups filled and help everyone there.

    5
    « Peaceful and restful »

WE were very pleased with our hotel choice. Nice room, very comfy bed and it was quiet even though we were near the highway. we will definitely book Arizonian Inn next year for the same event. Great restaurant about a block away was so convenient too.

    3
    « Poor breakfast »

Room was ok but don't expect a good breakfast. Breakfast room was messy and appearance of food was not appetizing at all. Meat and donuts were cut into tiny pieces that made me feel like they really didn't want us to eat much. For the price of the room and I was told that breakfast would be a buffet type I was very disappointed.

    4
« Best Western Arizonian Inn, Holbrook »

The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful and polite. The room was comfortable and close to the interstate and restaurants. The breakfast had great options and was "hot". It was also pet friendly which put this hotel on the top of our list.

    4
    « Good but expensive »

Very clean and well-maintained hotel, but the price was unexpectedly high for a non-tourist town. This was a one-night stay to see the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest (20 miles away), and I was a drop-in. The Breakfast room was pretty small, but the food was good. I would recommend this hotel, but I would suggest finding a better price deal online.

    5
    « A Pleasant Surprise! »

AAA got this one wrong! This hotel is rated a 2-diamond,, but it certainly deserves 3 diamonds! First of all, the whole facility is very highly maintained and clean as a whistle! Our room was also very clean and the bed was especially comfortable. The bathroom and sink/counter area were plenty big enuf and the shower worked great. The lighting was wonderful throughout the room and the Internet worked perfectly. All things you would expect from a 3-diamond facility! There's a Denny's restaurant right across the parking area which is a quick walk. Also, we wanted to thank Tamara for assisting us with our check-in and Marcie for completing our check-out. Both were very polite, efficient, professional and helpful. Overall, this was a Pleasant Surprise!

    4
    « Good value »

While this venue is not exciting, it is certainly better than acceptable. The bed is good (#1 for me) it is clean, large rooms. Fair but hot breakfast. Well worth the money. Location is good. Denny's right near for a good dinner if you are traveling.

    4
    « Pleasant Experience! »

The staff were very helpful and courteous on our 1-night stay just passing through Holbrook on our way back home. There was more than enough variety and quantities of breakfast selections and the gentleman working the breakfast nook was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean. The only drawback was we weren't asked if we'd like a Kingsize bed. We were in a double full-size room and the mattress was a bit uncomfortable.

    3
« Reserved room not held as per reservation! »

This is an OLD MOTEL! The room has been upgraded as best as they could but no matter how much lipstick you put on a pig... it's still a pig. Quirky door threshold 2 1/2" step up, tripped going into room with bag. Breakfast was better than expected! NO 1st floor King bed avaliable as requested.I should have been notified by you when I made reservation NOT when I arrived. They were glad to charge me an extra $15.00 for a 2 Queen bed room on first floor!!!

    1
    « Horrible »

Me and my boyfriend stayed here on the 9th and this was one of the worst hotels I've ever been in. The room did not get cleaned we folded back the covers to the bed an there were little black hairs all over the sheets, toe nail clippings in the bed black and yellow marks on the sheet. I would not waste my money.

  • 3
« Fine but ac didn't work in our room »

We have stayed here two times and it was comfortable the first time. Our 2nd stay our room's air conditioner stopped working during the night (90-95 degree temperatures outside). When we told the front desk about it in the morning the clerk apologized but she offered no discount. We were a little surprised at that.

    5
    « Excellent! »

Beautifully remodeled rooms with all the comforts & amenities...comparable to Hampton Inns that I typically favor. The room was very quiet even though the hotel was full. The lobby is staffed 24 hours for safety and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The full breakfast buffet was excellent. Also, the Denny's opposite the parking lot is extremely convenient for other meals, and the waitress who served us was delightful and extremely helpful.

    5
« Best Western is Our Favorite Hotel »

We rarely travel now due to health problems. We have always preferred Best Western because of the service, cleanliness of the room, friendliness of the staff, and the wonderful breakfasts that are prepared. Plus, most of the Best Western hotels are located near restaurants where we can enjoy lunch or dinner.

    4
    « Good 1 night stay »

My family and I spent the night here after exploring Petrified Forrest NP. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the room was. The service was good too. I requested a crib and they had it ready within an hour of check in. The only reason I didn't give the hotel 5 stars is that most other hotels I've stayed at include the crib for free. This hotel charges $20 for a crib. Overall, a nice night and good breakfast in the morning.

    5
    « Great experience! »

I called ahead to reserve a room for my husband who was on the road and spoke with Dakota who was very helpful and professional. My husband was very pleased with the check in and room. He made mention of how well done the breakfast was and how cheerful the girl at the front desk was and that she was also keeping the guest tended to during breakfast. For my husband to rave about a stay means that it must have been a good experience.

    5
    « Awesome Service! »

I was very happy with my room at this location, it was clean and updated, quite and I felt safe. Breakfast was a full breakfast which was good. Coffee was good and staff was super friendly! Easy access from interstate and good parking.

    5
« Wonderful room and service »

Venita and Marcy were particularly helpful in the breakfast room. The room was spacious, clean and had a microwave and frig. The breakfast was hot and delicious. The TV clicker was a germ free. This motel definitely met the standard for the chain, which is not always the case since they are franchises.

    5
    « Very nice »

This hotel was very nice. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It was up to date with newer furniture and appliances. A nice surprise was the heat lamp in the shower area. Great shower too Room was near nice, clean, blue pool. Lots of parking and very friendly staff. Only negative is that the breakfast area is very small. There were a lot of guests in there and we were bumping into each other trying to get food. Good breakfast though. Very good for the rate $89. Would definitely stay here again.

    5
« What one used to expect! »

This is my second experience with Best Western within a month, finding a meticulously-kept, old-school motor-hotel. Totally clean, recently updated and wired. Great beds and bedding. Hot breakfast (mediocre). My one complaint: this hotel has good contracts with construction/trade outfits. They get the main-floor rooms and skate smoking codes. I could go into further detail, but the situation is self-explanitory.

    5
« Best place to stay in northeastern Arizona »

Perfect location to explore northeastern Arizona. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good complimentary breakfast, comfortable room and bed! Great value, wish I had spent more nights here instead of Sedona.

  • 1
« NOT toddler or pet friendly! »

If you are traveling with toddlers or children in general and/or a dog, do not stay here. It is not child or pet friendly and the staff are rude and don't care to accommodate. All they want is your money. We will NOT return or recommend.

    4
« Nice hotel for the price! »

Very nice, clean room, good location. Nice outdoor patio area. Get to use the restaurant right next door for your complimentary breakfast, was very good. We went there for supper, since it was so convenient. Great lasagna!

    3
    « One Night Stay »

Stayed here on our way to Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The location was convenient and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. We were charged $10 extra for a room on the 1st floor. The toilet in the bathroom is oddly short. The TV did not work in our room when we arrived and waited about two hours for it to get fixed. Overall, I think I would choose a different hotel next time.

    5
« Truly An Excellent Hotel - 5 star experience »

We loved this little hotel. It seemed like we got an experience that sometimes even 5-star hotels lack. Beautifully decorated and best service. I'm very picky and I have to stay that the hotel was very clean. I was impressed. We had stayed here one time and we were happy to repeat the pleasant experience again.

    4
« Would stay here again »

We stayed in a room on the second floor, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, air conditioning was working, the breakfast was good. No complaints, really. I would stay here again. We wanted to swim in the pool after arrival. It stated that it was a heated pool. When we dipped our toes in it, it was icecold. No pool time for us. Not a big deal, though.

    4
    « August »

Good experience. Comfortable room. The staff made us so welcome. The location was good and was close to the national park (Mesa Verde) we visited. I will stay at Best Western again. I just wish their breakfast would offer more healthy food and less sugary stuff.

    5
    « Very Pleasant Surprise »

My husband and I travel through Holbrook at least 10 times a year but had never spent the night. This time it was necessary due to unforeseen circumstances and we loved this place! In the future we may plan on stopping more often

    5
« Pleasant Last Night on the Road »

Exhausted after many days on the road and intensive sight-seeing, and only 5 hours from home, I stopped at this hotel for the night. It was one of the nicest rooms I've been in and the breakfast had real food--no fake eggs! Every employee I met and with was extremely nice. I did not need anything special, but I felt confident that they would have taken care of any problems & questions efficiently & competently.

    4
« Everything Awesome except the BED! »

Stopped here one night on our way home from traveling. Great price, room, breakfast, people, property is clean and well kept. But oh my the mattresses on our beds spoiled the stay. They were hard, cheap, and there wasnt an extra sheet or mattress cover between me and the bed, only one thin sheet. I just cant sleep well on a hard bed with inadequate protection between me and whoever else slept on the mattress.

    3
« Good stay in comfortable hotel »

Stayed 2 nights here while visiting the Petrified Forest. It's motel style and we had a room on the 2nd floor. Room was large and spacious and bathroom was nice. Inevitably as it's motel style there is the noise of people passing your room and noise on the metal stairs too...can't be avoided. Breakfast was fine though the room was small and crowded. Staff were attentive. They informed us of an online survey and requested we give them scores of 9 or 10 which was a bit much, I thought! If they had said "we hope you give us a good score" I would be fine with that but it was a 9 or 10 they wanted. It has to be earned in my book! I think that kind of promotion is a bit alien to our Irish culture and it took us by surprise. Overall our stay was good here and convenient for our visit to the forest.

    « Pleasantly surprised. »

Staff was very courteous, especially Betty in the breakfast room. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Very convenient location as we were visiting the Petrified Forest and The Painted Desert. A great place to stay as we made our way to Clarkdale, AZ!

« On the way back home »

We decided to stay here on the way back home. It was a very good deal considering it is a Best Western. The room was very clean. The water in the shower was very hot. They have a coffee pot and microwave. I didn't look for the fridge because we didn't need it. The ac works great. We arrived after dark so I did not let my son swim in the pool. The breakfast tables have plugins. Breakfast includes many choices: waffles, egg, sausage, delicious cubed potatoes, cereal, milk, orange juice, apple juice, variety of pastries, oatmeal, fruit and yogurt, english muffins, jelly, butter, and of course coffee. Staff was very friendly hotel is peaceful.

easy to find, traveling through, staff was very good! Felt they went outof their way to make us comfortable. we were on the second floor and had one flight of stairs to walk up but was okay Breakfast was good, there is also a ptio right out side the breakfast area so you can eat in or out doors..

    « Real Butter!!!!! »

Thank you, BW Arizonian, for friendly, professional staff, updated bathroom fixtures, and splendidly maintained breakfast service. The coffee at breakfast was honestly the best we drank on Route 66. Parking here can be tight, what with U-Haul trailers taking up to four premium spaces apiece. And the lot is shared with the busy adjacent Denny's. Travelers who want a spot near their assigned room should arrive early. We ended up having to park closer to the road, away from the building. No biggie for our family, but if folks have a lot of unwieldy luggage to schlep back and forth, it might be a hassle. This BW is a great, pet-friendly option.

    « Pleasant Rest Stop »

We stayed overnight at the Arizonian and were pleasantly surprised at how good this hotel is. At the front desk the staff was very helpful and efficient. Our room was in the pet section of the hotel. The room was totally redone recently. It was very spacious with two queen beds that were comfortable. There was a larger than average mini fridge and a microwave. The bathroom area had a separate vanity space. The television was also new. We were able to sleep with little to no noise during the night. There is a nice pool at the hotel, but there's no fitness center. They serve a hot breakfast in the morning with lots of choices including coffee and tea, hot and cold cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, juice, toast, and pastries. Some items were better than others. My oatmeal was good. What impressed me the most was service from the staff. After we were in our room, we got a call from the front desk asking if everything was to our liking. The breakfast staff was welcoming and efficient. We were glad we had chosen the Arizonian. In the morning we were rested and fed and ready to continue our journey.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

Nice room and a good breakfast. The staff also were on the mark with recommending local restaurants. This was the best of the three motels we stayed at during our recent trip to Texas. Coffee pot in the room is a make or break factor in my selection of rooms. This one passed.

« No Adequate Air conditioning »

Hotel staff are very nice, but were unable to fix the air conditioner. In July. In Arizona. In 100+ heat. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The staff provided a fan at our request and offered to put us in another room, but only hours after we had unpacked and taken our showers and were too exhausted to relocate too another room.

« Still better than most even with a couple of problems »

Great location and price. Property kept up even though it was probably built in the 70s. Rooms we spacious compared to newer properties. It's a two floor motel with only stairs. The ladies at the front desk were extremely professional, polite and welcoming. They changed us from upstairs to down stair with no question. EASY and fast check-in. Room and beds were adequate. I've had better beds but I've had many more that were worst. Frig and TV-newer models. Now the problems. After I had settled in I noticed there was no bathroom door. Went to call them but the phone did not work. Call from my cell to ask if that was how all the rooms are now. She was surprised to hear the door was missing and offered to move us to another room. We declined since we had settled in. Breakfast was good and attendant very nice and kept everything filled and clean. Will definitely stay there again!

    2
« Not the best BW »

Best feature is the location with quick access to highways and Petrified Forrest. Built like a motel with outside access to all rooms, no elevator to second floor. Room was clean but very dated, older furniture. Breakfast was skimpy for a BW and the seating area was very cramped.

« Great one night stay on our way to the Grand Canyon »

My father, 14 year old son and I spent a night here on our way to the Petrified Forest and on to the Grand Canyon. The office staff were very nice. It was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was surprisingly good for a free offering. There is a Denny's next door if you prefer. A typical Best Western property. Not a lot of frills but a good deal for the money.

« Up to Best Western Standards »

Our stay here was on the way to the Petrified Forest the following day and this was a very good location. This is a pretty typical, good quality, Best Western. When you book a B/W, you can almost be sure you will be ok. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was large, clean and well maintained. The mattress was a little too firm for our tastes but for some people, I'm sure it would be fine. Pricing was good and that is always nice. This includes a free breakfast and it was nothing special but decent. Enough to keep us going until lunch time. We would stay here again if the need is there.

« Alternative to crowded Flagstaff »

We selected this Holbrook property because it was available and less expensive than hotels in Flagstaff and Winslow. It is located in a well-traveled part of town, with easy access to the Interstate, but without the noise. They were in the process of some remodelling (and concomitant noise), but it wasn't too bad. The breakfast room was pretty crowded, but they had outside seating. Staff were eager to solicit ratings of 9 or 10, not necessarily a bad thing I guess

    3
« Just what we expected »

Everything was fine. The women who served breakfast were delightful. The rooms were slightly stinky, like they used to be smoking rooms, but they were clean. Great proximity to Petrified National Forest. Pizza Hut is a great dinner option - ask about specials - our entire family ate for $10

    3
« Clean and Well Managed »

Holbrook is a few minutes from the Painted Desert National Park, consequently the little town with a long history dating back to the earliest settlements in north east Arizona is an overnight destination for many families and seniors on the Park route. The inn is an older structure (but not nearly as old as many others in the area). It's two story but has no elevator. We asked for and received a first floor room for $10 extra. That was not advertised or notified until actual check in. Why not just charge an extra $10 for the lower deck. Some people prefer it; some HAVE to have it; some don't care. Nevertheless, the room was comfortable and very clean. The A/C was not exactly ice station zebra in a high desert topography....but sufficient. Bed comfortable. Storage area plenitiful. Bathroom small but serviceable. Parking is plentiful in front of the motel. The BW Arizonan has a free breakfast every morning. For those so inclined there's a DENNY'S right across the parking lot....we chose the latter. There are also several eateries along the main corridor in Holbrook that offer solid ranch hand hearty food and/or mexican. With I40 running right thru the center of Holbrook its overnight accomodations are oft sold out and in demand. A reservation in summer season would be wise. The price (including the kamikaze $10) is very reasonable. We'd stay there again (on the first floor)

    1
« Below average stay plus over priced rooms. »

Messed up our reservations, noisy AC low quality breakfast, dirty swimming pool, not worth the high price. Ice machine not working, Not enough parking for vehicles plus crowded parking areas, carpet stinks.

« very good as always »

We have always had very good results with Best Western hotels and this was no exception. Highlights were the Premium bedding (mattress & pillows), excellent hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit, hot and cold cereals), large clean room.etc. The area was quiet, not too far from the main highway.

    5
    « Nice hotel »

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and we got more than we expected. A very good room and very friendly staff. About half an hour after check in we got a telephone call and were asked if everything was okay or if there are any questions. Never had that before! The breakfast was really good with eggs, sausages and fresh waffles. Overall a very pleasant stay.

    4
    « Mostly Comfortable »

We expected noisy rooms since there was parking right outside - but the rooms were quiet. The rooms were clean and large. The vanity area was outside the bathroom but separated from the rest of the room. Appeared to be a well-maintained property. They advertised a heated pool, but the heater was not turned on and the water was very cold. The facial and toilet tissues were extremely poor quality - if this is an issue for you, bring your own. The breakfast area was very much too small.

    3
    « Average »

Spent a night on our way to California. Rooms are not the cleanest but just ok. Saw some spots on a bedskirts and hair in a bathroom corners. Ceilings are so low that in a bathroom we all got a feeling being in a box. Also stone floors in bathroom are not the best idea especially when you are pregnant and getting out of shower. Breakfast was just ok but absolutely not the best. No gym. Pool was ok but was very cold even with 105 heat outside. Overall - just average, ok to stop for a night.

    5
    « Great staff »

Personable at check-in. Called room to see if they could be of further assistance. Breakfast staff very attentive. Clean tables throughout breakfast serving time. Food replenished regularly. Food kept hot. Cheerful staff at desk and breakfast. Easy and fast check-out (platinum level).

    « Good Hotel »

This hotel was a very pleasant stay. The staff were some of the friendliest we have meet in a long time. The hotel itself was first class and very pleasing. The rooms were large and very comfortable. They were clean and very relaxing.

    3
« Not pet very friendly »

Even though they claim to be pet friendly the pet area is on the opposite side of the rooms they allow pets in and it only consist of a small rocky area. They also state that there will be a $100.00 charge if you allow your pet to walk on their grass. The beds are not very comfortable, and the room a little small.

    3
« Not up to par with other Best Westerns and over priced! »

We were really disappointed in this property. Small, cramped room. Bathroom door hinge broken, so you couldn't close it. Roll away bed terrible. Beds too small. Breakfast area hot and crowded. Paid $103.00+$15.00 for roll away bed. Staff is very nice and very professional.

« Overnight stay in Arizona »

Stayed at this Best Western after driving for as many hours as we had energy for after leaving the Grand Canyon after sunset. Very pleasant staff, Charles held the room for us even though we were arriving after 23h00. Hotel is a bit exposed and shares its parking with the iHop. Breakfast was nice and as expected except there was no waffle making pan. A pleasant stay.

« What a let down from a brand I trust, Best Western »

Hotel has issues with A/C units. Arrived and unit was off in room, room was hot as hell. Most hotels I travel to will turn the units on to cool them down for arriving guests. With a 24 cancellation policy they know who is coming. Two hours after arrival, room still not cooling down. Spoke to staff that they need to have units serviced, they said they would get maintenance on it. Front desk girl arrived with two guys, not in any kind of uniform to fix A/C. Front desk girl had to show them how to reset the system. I had to help them use the drill before they stripped out the screw heads, these guys had no clue what they were doing. They said that would fix the problem, it didn't. The unit was cycling on before this just not blowing cold. I think this is a known issue, but management doesn't spend the money to have them fixed. I booked a pet friendly room hat happened to be the farthest away from the pet walking area, someone was really thinking here. I have stayed at 50 different Best Western hotels over the years and this was my worst experience. I will drive farther next time just to not stay at this hotel.

    2
« Pricing changed upon arrival »

Beds were not very comfortable, and we called in to see what the price would be which went up $15 upon arrival. As the semi attentive staff member put on a good show of claiming ignorance about the cost of the mediocre room, we were too knackered to put up much of an argument. Breakfast is in a crowded nook, which you can escape by going right outside. Left the place unrested.

« Neatest Suite Ever for Large Families »

We stayed in room 160. It had two bedrooms, a living room, full kitchen, & laundry. The sofa folds into a bed as well. We are a family of 3 with grandparents in tow. This room worked perfect. Only drawback was one bathroom for the entire room though. This was liveable though . . . we just had a schedule for the restroom. Pool was nice. Staff was fabulous. The maintenance, housekeeping, front desk, breakfast staff . . . no one left anything to be desired. We would definitely stay here again. This is not a fancy place but it is clean. Free breakfast was very good too.

This was our second stay at this particular Best Western hotel. The reason we chose this place again was that our first experience was very positive. The staff is very professional , friendly and very helpful. The morning breakfast is very fresh and good. The rooms are very clean and well maintained and nice to sleep in.The facilities are kept up very well and the location is close to everything.

« Pleasantly surprised; this is five-star luxury for a two to three-star price! »

While continuing on my West Coast drive, I stopped for the night in Holbrook, and originally intended to stay at the Historic Wigwam Motel on the western side of town. Alas, it had been already booked for the night, so my next choice was either the Quality Inn or the Best Western, both on the east end of town. As a Choice Rewards member, Quality Inn would have been my first choice, but that changed with my bad experience with another Quality Inn the night before in Clovis, NM. (See that review, too.) Anyhow, I decided to try the Best Western and was pleasantly surprised from the immaculate lobby and breakfast room, but the biggest surprise was the room itself. Where to start? Every component of the room was brand-new from the textured sheetrock to the carpet. This was not just slapping on new paint - this was a complete rebuild. Every piece of furniture was in brand-new condition from the TV cabinet that also holds drawers, the microwave and a mini-fridge, to the nightstands, even the sofa. All looked like they had just been freed from shipping plastic wrap the day before - no kidding! The bathroom was an even greater surprise. The vanity was brand-new black composite countertop like Corian, and the faucet was a Grohe BauLoop (yes, I looked it up), and it's worth about $125 on the market, definitely not the $25 faucets I've seen in most 'remodeled' motel rooms! The bathroom floor was constructed out of marble tile and the shower walls were real slabs of sand-colored granite. The tub shower controls looked to be quite expensive, far beyond that of other motel chains, even those of new-construction Comfort Inns (Medford, OR 2015) or even new-construction Hampton Inns (Fairbanks, AK 2013). The room also has a central HVAC, which normally only occurs in larger, pricier hotels. Never have I seen one in a small-town Interstate-side motel! I travel extensively for work as a park ranger for the National Park Service, and I have NEVER seen a motel so luxuriously outfitted and lovingly cared for as this Best Western in Holbrook, AZ. Kudos to the owners and especially the staff of this hotel. It is clear that they care deeply about their business, and may it stay that way for years to come! I only wish I could give them more than a "Five" rating!

Felt very welcomed, the gentleman in the complimentary breakfast is wonderful. Internet a bit slow. Plenty of outlets for your charging needs. Rooms are clean & very comfy. Easily located off the highway. We checked out all of the other hotels there & we liked this the best.

« Good location, nice hotel »

With the exception of the decreased water pressure, from the hotel being sold out Saturday night. Quiet room. After driving all day from Texas, this was a nice rest. Denny's was adjacent, so we didn't have to search for a resturant.

This hotel is very nice place to stay while in the Holbrook area. They are friendly, have nice comfortable rooms and quiet location. « Rt 66 Best stay in Holbrook »

This was my second overnight stay at this property in less than six months. The grounds are well kept, there is ample parking, a restaurant across the parking lot, easy access to I-40 and Route 66 tourist sights. You will not be disappointed.

« One night stop over in Holbrook »

We stayed in the Best Western Arizonian Inn on a one night stopover on a road trip from Abiquiu in New Mexico to Phoenix. The hotel fitted our requirements. The room was clean and quiet, the bed comfortable and the TV and internet worked well. The free breakfast the next morning was above average for this type of hotel. Checkout was a breeze as the bill was sent by email as showing paid first thing in the morning.

    « Look elsewhere »

Outdated hotel. Our room was small, bare minimum. It did what we needed it to and nothing more. "Hot breakfast" was biscuits and Danish with coffee. Would not stay here again. The pictures are misleading. Just a good location, nothing else.

« Very Good Best Western »

We've stayed at the old Best Western by the railroad tracks (which has changed hands) and would not get much sleep as the trains came through all night long. This Best Western however, is very good and VERY quite. The room was well done and comfortable. The host is friendly and helpful. Had microwave,Refrigerator, and Direct TV. They have a nice breakfast service with waffles, eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, cereal, etc. There is plenty of parking for large vehicles such as RV's, 18 wheelers etc.

    « Very nice room »

We called expedia in error and they booked us a room that was pet friendly and the front desk person was able to find us one at no extra charge. Room was very clean and had plenty of room. If you have a large vehicle you might want to park on back side...tight quarters.

    « Nice Suprise »

I was surprised at the quality of room for the rate and then breakfast was complimentary as well! I was lucky to get a room near the pool which was quiet because it was at the end of the block on the 2nd floor. A good choice if available. Service and reception at check in/ out were great! The only downside was a dog left in a car overnight parked a few doors away. Not happy with this barking at 10.30pm and 7am but this is down to the owner not the hotel. Just one of those things.

    5
« Great place to stopover and rest »

Very pleased with the stay. The room was exceptionally clean, the staff was very professional. Thirty minutes after checking in, I received a call from the front desk just to make sure everything in the room was fine and that I didn't have any questions. Breakfast buffet was fine, the woman working the breakfast was extremely friendly and nice.

    « Relaxing evening »

After a long driving trip and visiting the Painted Desert Nation Park a nice room to rest in was just what the doctor ordered. I enjoyed also the phone call from the hotel staff to ensure the room was to my standard and if I needed anything, That was great so did not have to leave my room and talk with the staff at the office.

    « Another great stay »

This hotel is another great example of the BW franchise. Attractive and well cared for exterior, friendly staff, clean, quiet room, very comfortable bed, nice amenities including flat screen TV, mini-refrigerator and microwave, great breakfast. Consistent quality. Highly recommend Best Western and the Arizonian when traveling Highway 40 and visiting Arizona.

    3
    « Good, but... »

Accommodations were typical/standard. No complaints there. However, room was not truly ready when we arrived, so they said they could "upgrade" us for a fee o $20. Seems to me that since it was hotel's fault, there should have not NO upgrade fee.

    2
« HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH FRONT DESK - NICE HOTEL »

THE FRONT DESK IS INCOMPETENT AND THAT IS COSTLY! Unfortunately this is a nice hotel, but I have to give them a low rating because I was charged for a no-show because the person that I called at the front desk told me that my reservation was cancelled, but it was not! I called at 12:48 pm on 5/28/16 and was told it was cancelled, that I did not have a reservation for 5/30/16. The front desk called us on the morning of 5/29/16, as we were checking out and asked if we were going to stay on the 30th. We told the gentleman that we had already been told that it was cancelled. He said ok, they would not charge us. As we were driving home from vacation I checked our messages on our home phone and the hotel had called us there to check if we were going to show up. I called them and said we had already confirmed twice that we would not be there and would not be charged. They confirmed again that we would not be charged. HOWEVER, we were charged for a no-show and the hotel manager has been non-responsive to my requests for a refund. I had exact times I called and names of some of the people that my husband & I talked to, yet they are not helping us. DON'T STAY HERE! There are other nice hotels in Holbrook and even if they cost more - it's cheaper than being charged for an extra night!

    « Vacation Trip »

Excellent hotel for such a remote spot on I-40. The room decor was up-to-date, fresh and quite clean. The room was well insulated from ambient noise. The location allowed easy access to the freeway. A Denny's is located on the property, which was convenient for dinner. Marcie, the desk clerk at checkout, was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.

« Solid Hotel in Holbrook »

We stayed here on a trip between the Petrified Forest and the Grand Canyon....apparently others did too as we ran into some of them at the parks too! It's a basic motel but I was happy with the stay. The room was in working order and clean. The breakfast was a bit chaotic - too small of a space for the number of guests but otherwise a good stay.

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

Stayed just 1 night as a stop over on a drive from Albuquerque to Phoenix. Only have good things to say about the hotel, room, and staff. The free breakfast was pretty good as well all things considered. Would definitely return if driving through town.

    « Good value for the $ »

Overall a very good experience. Room was immaculate and all staff professional, polite, and wanted to be certain everything was in order in the room, and at breakfast. Free breakfast with more than enough choices to satisfy. Only negative factor over which the staff has no control, the building planners and designers designated an area that is far too small to accommodate a busy time at breakfast. Very little room between the serving area and seating creating congestion at the breakfast bar.

    2
« training for the office staff »

the front office staff was very un professional and in total confusion when I checked in . Never given any info on breakfast and in what room it was in. additional stay for another day was never given to the next day staff so I was totally disturbed by banging and yelling at front door way too early next day. Had to make additional trips to the front office for info that they should have had on file the previous day the walk to the front office which was a good distance from room was in the rain and cold. Not enough parking so I had to park a great distance from my room the night before in another hotel parking lot. 9 am breakfast if way too early to shut down the breakfast which was actually gone by 8:45 am

    « Good Experience »

We were there for a family graduation and the hotel is a little older model, very standard. The lobby and breakfast area are quite small and crowded. No pool or rec. area that I could see. Breakfast very good, beds very comfortable. TV channels are limited with cable choices, but overall very simple and quick place to stay for an overnight trip.

« Best I could find in town »

Overall the room was clean, I felt safe. Check in was smooth and the fellow that checked us in, (Charles I think his name was) was very pleasant. The bed was very lumpy and probably needs to be replaced. Room 158 if any one reads these things. While the breakfast was free, the hotel staff was very attentive and Marcy (I hope I got the name), was very helpful, better than a few Dennys I have been in. Overall a good value. Only 4 stars for the lumpy mattress.

Excellent motel has a new Dennys right in parking lot, the staff are very friendly, a member of staff called our room an hour after check in asking if every thing was alright which you don't even get when staying in a four star hotel. The free breakfast is very good, make your own waffles, there were sausages scrambled eggs toast muffins and more, staff in the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel

    « Took a chance »

As I was driving back to L.A., I decided to stop in Holbrook to rest. To my chagrin, there were no vacancies in the entire city of Gallup that night, so I was going to be grateful for anything I could find in Holbrook. This hotel was quite pleasant, quiet, and comfortable. It was also reasonably priced after the AAA discount. The desk attendant was very thorough and helpful. Should I find myself in this area again, I will definitely stay again.

    « 1 nights stay »

The hotel is newer and the housekeeping staff should be proud, they keep a very clean room, which shows how hard they work. They were polite when we passed each other. The young man in the breakfast room was also kind. The woman who checked us in was the only unpleasant part of the stay. She went out of her way to be unhelpful and disinterested. She is the only reason I don't give this place a perfect score.

    5
    « Good Value »

Hotel staff friendly, professional, efficient. Our room was clean and quiet. Breakfast room a bit small and chaotic, especially when travelers from tour buses converge. Roomier alternative is Denny's next door.

    « Holbrook AZ Review »

We have kids going to college out of state and this is a regular hotel for us both heading out and returning home. The staff is courteous and helpful. In fact, if you are passing through Holbrook, AZ this hotel is a good stop and right next door to Denny's for the evening meal. Also, you know the hotel is good when it is frequently sold out so make sure you book ahead because we were sorry when we didn't!

« Great place to stay »

The room was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. When I got to my room, they called me at the room and asked if the room was satisfactory. That's good customer service. The property looks to be well maintained. When I checked out, the person at the desk was very friendly and wished me a safe trip. I would recommend this place to anyone.

« Good road trip stop »

We stayed here on a trip to the Petrified Forest National Park. It was close to the park entrance. Very clean, quiet, nice place to stay. Even though the place was full every night I never heard anyone. Beds were very comfortable, just like home!!

    « Good for a nights stay »

Your average hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. No problems. Safe and secure. We were on a Bike and the only choice was a Denny's across the parking lot. It was food. Would recommend a stay there if you're passing through.

    « Surprisingly Good »

Holbrook is the closest town to Petrified Forrest and I wasn't expecting much driving through the town and up to the hotel. But the bed and room were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was hot, and the staff were really friendly and informative. It was also very quiet on the second floor. Had a great nights sleep ready for the next day of long driving. I'm picky about room cleanliness and noise. So this is no feint praise.

« no plastic real dish »

the rare place serving with no disposables but impressively using real clean dishes, utensils...quite pleased. The bed sheets were thick. The room had a strong smell of re-freshener spray so I had to air out by opening the window and fan

    « Great Staff »

After checking in, someone called the room to ask if my expectations were met. In all my stays at various hotels, I've never had anyone do this. I was impressed. Kudos to them! Also the front desk was very helpful in recommending a great local restaurant.

« Enroute to Durango Co »

Best Western was outstanding however Holbrook was very depressing. Economy seemed to be quite devastated. Panhandlers abound. Town very scary. We did find a very good Navajo/Mexican restaurant. Great food, very reasonable. Hotel is very safe..

« Great place, better than most »

The front desk was very helpful and friendly, gave us a great tip for dinner: "Romo's". The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable, maybe the best we've had one this trip; for sure it makes the top ten ever. The breakfast was included. It was surprising varied and good. Fruit, cereals, eggs, potatoes, juice, the gambit and more. We would return.

« Very quiet and Denny's near by »

I enjoyed staying for two night, it was very quiet. All the staff employees were friendly and make you feel at home. I had nice breakfast, talking with Marcie. I don't mind staying there again. :) Gotta stay here at Best Western Arizona

« Best service ever, and clean, too! »

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The hotel itself was an older building, but everything was very clean. The bedding was new and spotless white. Never had better service. It was as if each employee was the owner, they were so concerned if we were happy with everything. Very friendly and looked like they enjoyed their jobs.

    « Perfect. Holbrook AZ. »

Kudos on customer service. Marcie and Patel were so gracious. As was the gal at front desk. We would stay again. Room and bathroom were Clean, plenty of towels. No complaints at all. Breakfast food was fresh and coffee was good. Good value for the price. Personally I don't care for their stiff sheets but everything was immaculate. No funny smell in the room if you know what I mean. High marks.

« Great stay after a day in the petrified forest »

We stayed the night after visiting the petrified forest. Room was clean, quiet, and we had a great bed. Shower and TV worked well and the room had a good-sized mini-fridge and microwave. The front desk staff, Michael and Betty, were very friendly and gave us some really helpful information about travel routes, places to find the kind of food we were looking for, etc. The free breakfast had lots of choices and was good too.

    « Stopover »

Needed a place to stay on our way from the Petrified Forest National Park to Las Vegas. As we were not keen on the idea of staying at a roadside motel, we chose the Best Western Arizonian Inn as the name of the hotel chain is familiar to us and because other reviews mentioned the recent renovation. The hotel rooms were indeed quite new, spacious and clean and we enjoyed a comfortable night. The staff at reception were very welcoming and friendly. We could park our car in front of the room and went for dinner at Denny's which is conveniently located on the hotel parking place as well.

« GREAT PLACE TO STAY!! »

All employees were courteous, very pleasant, and very efficient. They answered all our questions and gave advice on what to see in the area. Our room was very comfortable and super clean. Breakfast was good, but not over the top. Very pleasant stop on our trip!

    « Such a good stay »

We arrived to Holbrook late afternoon after spending the whole day driving and exploring national parks. All we needed is a place to lay our heads down and a shower but we got so much more for our money. The hotel is just off the main road and offers free parking. Looked very neat and tidy and cleaned from the minute we arrived. It is well looked after. Check in was very easy. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. The bed was sooooo comfortable, had a very good sleep. Breakfast is included and is really good as well. Loved it. The service was absolutely spot on. We got a call from the reception 8pm if everything was Ok, if we need anything and to have a good night. During breakfast they look after you, kind and friendly people. Marcie was the kindest person ever. Would stay again and recommend!

Very nice hotel the room was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. We ended up staying 2 days because of the weather and were not sorry we did. The room was clean and the beds were good. We met 2 ladies who knew the area and gave us some things to see.

« Great value beware the comfort »

Overall the Best Western hotel was just okay as a place to stay. My fiancee and I traveled on a weekend getaway and stayed here as I've had good experiences at Best Western hotels previously. The hotel staff were great and so is the price for a night. On the downside, the Internet speed was lacking compared to previous experiences and the bed was not at all comfortable. Neither of us were able to get much sleep as we kept waking up and trying to find a better sleep position. I kept having a spring (i'm assuming) jab my lower back which caused for a very sore back in the morning. Would not recommend it if you can afford another place nearby.

    « Positive Experience »

We had a very positive experience when we stayed here recently. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff also made a great recommendation for a place to have a nice dinner.

    « Best Western Holbrook »

This is a very clean and modern hotel on the old route 66. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was hot with plenty of choices of thing to eat. There is a Denny's restaurant in the parking lot and several dinning places within walking distant. This was our 4th time at this Best Western Hotel and we will stay there again.

    « Very good property »

Bulletin: make reservations when possible, this place fills up quickly. Fast and friendly check-in. Nice room and generous bath. Very, very clean. Quiet. Feels very new/renovated. Good breakfast. Good wi-fi.

    5
    « Welcoming »

The staff are so sweet and welcoming, the breakfast was so fantasic. AThe room was very clean and so was the parking lot. I know it sounds silly but you can tell a lot from a hotel about the parking lot and the people hanging around. I cant get over the sweet staff, they were so great!

« Great location, friendly staff »

We chose to stay at this hotel because of its location. We were driving up from Phoenix and were going to Canyon De Chelly, then proceeding West on I40. This hotel was perfectly located for us to do Canyon De Chelly as a day trip, stay the night and be on our way West. What I didn't realize when I booked the room was how close it was to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. We didn't arrive here until late afternoon, but because it is so close, we were able to go to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert (had not planned to go to either) before sunset. When we checked in, we told the front desk how we were a bit cramped at our last hotel and asked if we could pay for a bigger room. What we didn't expect was for the larger room to be like an apartment. We had 2 bedrooms, a living room with a sofa bed and fireplace, a huge full kitchen and a washer and dryer! The only issue we had was that our heat wasn't working (My mom might have written a review also, if so, she probably mentioned the heat as well- don't want people to see 2 heat issues at the same time and think this is a problem in multiple rooms). Anyway, I called the front desk to let them know and someone came to fix it within 5 minutes. Not only did they fix it, but when they came, they brought 2 space heaters for us to use while they fixed it. It only took them a few minutes to fix, but they let us keep the space heaters just in case. This location is perfect and the staff was awesome! Definitely recommend to anyone staying in the Holbrook area and will stay here again.

Clean Property, friendly and welcoming staff ! Quiet location. Great breakfast ! ( special thanks to Breakfast lady Betty ! ) This location is on the quite side of the town which I always prefer. The italian restaurant and Denny's are very close.

    « Perfect Stay !! »

I always stay at this property and never got disappointed. My 2 night stay was great. Nice clean and quiet room. I believe this property should be considered BW Plus. Tamera at front desk was awesome.

    2
    « Poor Experience »

We requested a main floor room and no attempt was made to honour that request. Front desk staff could care less about satisfying customer needs and just said there were no guarantees of requests being honoured. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke.

« Mouse in our room.... still waiting for a manager to contact me. »

From what I could find, there are no really nice hotels in Holbrook. Best Western seemed to be the best one around, so that is where we stayed. We paid to upgrade to a bigger room, 160 which was very spacious. My son is reading Harry Potter, so he was thrilled to find a pretty large closet "under the stairs" in the room. I think the space is probably used for storing suitcases or something, but perfect for an 8-year-old to read a book in. The Master bedroom in the back of the unit was very spacious and comfortable. Although, as I was settling in, thought I saw something scurry across the floor. I checked the room over and did not see what I was looking for. (thank goodness) In the morning as we were packing up, I noticed a cork that I was saving that must have fallen out of my bag. All of the edges of it were gnawed away by a mouse. I took the cork to the office to let the staff know and they agreed it was done by a mouse. I have called many times to get a response from the manager who does not seem to return phone calls. If going back to Holbrook, I would look elsewhere.

    3
« Nice decor, average BW »

The rooms have been redecorated, but the beds seem to be the same. Breakfast was crowded and there wasn't much selection. The attendant seems pretty unhappy with her job. Though the hotel is away from the train tracks, it was still pretty noisy. The service was average. Decent value, but nothing special. Not bad for the area.

    5
    « Holbrook, Az »

Very nice staff and convenient location. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice restaurant down the street, within walking distance. Located near Petrified Forrest and Painted Desert made this a great place to stay at a very reasonable price.

« When the going gets rough »

The people at this Best Western are really customer focused. We ended up getting a large suite for the four of us so we could get a good night's sleep. The room, 160, has a living area, full kitchen and 2 bedrooms and a free washer and dryer. So far, so good. The problem was that it was in the 30's and we didn't have heat. One call to the desk and they brought portable heaters and had the problem fixed within minutes. That's really good service. They recommended a great restaurant and even shared some of the local history and geography with us as we were checking in. Would we stay here again? You bet.

« Rude staff, bad breakfast, do not stay here »

The breakfast was awful. No clean plates, food offering was scarce and picked over, no milk for cereal, no napkins, clerk would not replenish. Put what was left away right at 9 AM, ignoring customers in the breakfast room. Clerk would not give adjustment, all were rude and told me that only the GM could make an accommodation for us. The GM lives in California and is rude as well. She refused to make any adjustment and did not apologize. She insisted that we arrived at 9:30, after breakfast closed, which was false. She was in CA! When I called to ask about a room, clerk told us it was his last room, he had to charge more for it and that all the other hotels in town were full. When we arrived, the other hotels were mostly empty and the price BW charged us was $15 over the BW website price. They gauged us by telling us a lie. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

    5
    « Great beds »

We spent the day touring the Petrified Forest and Painted Dessert so we were really tired. We had booked a Motel 6 but left immediately to look for another hotel. We were greated with friendly smiles and got a room with 2 new beds! The room was beautifully decorated and some of the best beds we've ever slept in. On check out, Betty informed us there was a free hot breakfast included. She was so pleasant and friendly, I want her superiors to recognize her as a great ambassador. A really great experience.

    « Helpful, friendly staff »

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Petrified Forest National Park and were very pleased. The staff at the front desk and in breakfast room were diligent and stayed on top of things. We enjoyed the breakfast and found our room comfortable... So much so that we booked another night when we drove through coming from points east a week later. Thanks especially to Marcie and Patel in the breakfast room.

« Friendly staff, new clean room, great value! »

Very satisfied with this motel. Betty at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. We arrived early and she accommodated us with an early check in. The room was newly renovated, clean and quiet. A good value, we'll be back! Tripadvisor says I need to type more words, so I'm typing more words...

« Clean, safe, but service lacking »

Was charged an extra night that still hasn't been resolved after 3 phone calls and 2 weeks. Housekeeping ignored the do not disturb sign twice (after I was already out of my room for the day). I did feel safe at the location and the room was fine. It was clean and everything worked so no complaints there. Just need improvement on the customer service aspects.

« BETTER PLACES CLOSE BY »

After a long drive and a late check in [8PM] my room had been given away....I was placed in a 2nd floor building in the far portion of the parking lot behind a Dennys. The hotel apparently was in update mode but I didn't se it from my view...had an old fashioned room, 2nd floor no elevator, and room in fair condition, The worse was the attitude kf the female check in attendant...couldn't be bother to help...finally after almost five minutes while her ,ale counterpart was still servicing another customer she said OK -I'll check you in:..I left at 0530 am and as I drove down the street I saw multiple other hotels, local and lower level chain types...if I am in the area again...I';ll use one of those. Also recommend the hotel updates it;s cancellation policy....24hrs in advance is a little much for people who are traveling across country. You generally don't know of a problem 24 hours in advance. 4PM/6PM day of arrival seems more suitable

    3
    « Pricey remodeled motel »

The remodel job is nearly finished and they did a fair job of it. We had a second floor room; there is no elevator. The price of a room is high for an older motel that isn't that special. We had some plumbing issues and a rag was left by housekeeping. This motel is about a mile off I-40. Parking is easy and there is a great Denny's across the lot. The breakfast was good and the staff are friendly. The bed clothes were made-up with too many layers.

    3
    « Average stay »

Traveling through and stayed here one night. The room was clean and very quiet. My only complaint is that the shower head was such a efficient water saver so it was difficult to get soap washed off!! Other than that- average stay. Second level has only stairs- no elevator.

    4
« Nice place, pet friendly »

We have found Best Westerns to be a good place to look for when traveling. This Best Western was quiet, clean and pet friendly. About 30 minutes after we checked in the front desk called to make sure the room was ok and if we needed anything! Rooms had great beds and were nicely furnished.

« great stay in Holbrook Az »

Fine pet friendly hotel. Helpful staff and clean and large rooms. Breakfast was great. Plenty of parking and overall very quiet. Would definitely stay here again. This hotel has quality to offer and they make it available to everyone.

« As good as it gets »

The staff was native American and very friendly. Rooms were recently remodeled, quiet, and clean. I received a great referral to a local restaurant. This is a great place to stay if you are in Holbrook. For the remote location it was a very pleasant surprise.

    4
    « Nicely renovated »

Spent a night there. The room was nicely renovated with new carpeting and completely redone bathroom. Staff was friendly and couteous. Bed was very comfortable and generally got a good nights sleep. My only complaint would be the very heavy comforter that was used, but that seems to be a trend now with all hotels. All in all I felt it was a good value

« Decent place to stay. »

I stayed here for one night on March 6th. The room was clean, and the free wifi worked well. Front desk staff was friendly. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room was small. I wouldn't want to eat in there if it was too crowded. The only complaint I would have about my stay would be the washcloths and the towels, which were worn out or like mild sandpaper. Overall, this hotel is fine to stay at.

    1
« Not a Place You Want To Stay Over Night. »

Over Priced With Poor Service. Don't Waste Your Money With This Out Of Date Motel. Pool, Carpet, Sidewalks, Windows, Bathroom Dirty, Ice machine not working. Never Again. Front Desk Personnel Was rude and unfriendly. Breakfast was on the low cheap end.

    « A clean hotel in a small town »

A nice surprise to find this on I-40 and Route 66. Very clean friendly staff and great breakfast. Express checkout. Convenient to Route 66 stores and near multiple fast food and convenience stores with gas and diesel.

    5
    « Absolutely no complaints! »

This is a very well-maintained property. Clean, spacious rooms. Wonderfully pleasant front desk staff. Some may complain about having to go outside to get to breakfast. Some could point out it isn;t a gourmet breakfast. But when you consider what you're paying, it really can't get much better than this. At least, that was our experience.

    5
« Pride and it shows »

This Best Western is an older motel with doors which open to the outside, but have been given immaculate care and attention to detail on the exterior and interior of the rooms. The owner of this property clearly is very proud of this motel -- it shines. Denny's restaurant is located on the property and serves good food with good service and cheerful wait staff at very reasonable prices. The breakfast area is very nice and the selection is extensive -- from eggs and sausage to the expected breakfast options, and the coffee is unusually good for motel fare. The rooms were nice size with a semi partition between the bath/vanity area and the bed to allow your roommate to sleep in. Note that the motel television does not receive PBS and with the final season finale of Downton Abbey next Sunday PBS fans will be sorely disappointed if they check in that night expecting to watch it (I mentioned this to the front desk staff). Easy access to I-40.

    3
« Holbrook, AZ Best Western »

Room was tired and worn out. Commode seat was loose. The "FREE" breakfast was weak and the sausage serverd was burnt and of dubious quality. Most items were already out from previous customers. We should have gone to the Denny's nest door. We reported the loose commode seat but no effort was made to correct it. We have stayed at Best Westerns before but this one really lacked in basic amenities such as soap and shampoo. The in room coffee was ok. The refrigerator did not really cool. The parking was ok.

    4
« OK place to stay »

Weird way the blankets were put together. Two sets of blankets between sheets to much for comfort so pulled off top and the bottom set was short sheet and uncomfortable all night. OK place to stay but no restaurant nearby.

    « Terrific Stay »

We had stayed here before a few years back and decided to try it again. What a pleasant and wonderful surprise! The hotel has been renovated and they did a fantastic job!! And the internet is super fast. Great place to stay if you are in the area.

« Super nice staff and clean facility »

The staff are the greatest ambassadors of this motel. They were friendly and pleasant to work with. They went out of their way to accommodate our special requests we had with putting our freezer cakes in their freezer since the motel refrigerator did not have a freezer.

« Good place at a Great price »

So if you are going to try a chain hotel in your travels - you usually cannot go wrong with Best Western. And this is no exception. For the price, location and amenities this is the one to choose if you are in the area looking for a place. The hotel is located outside the downtown area and close to getting on freeways. Not much around this place other there is a Denny's right across the parking lot. Checkin was easy, staff was friendly, room was clean (we were on the 2nd floor), bed comfortable and it felt good to swim a little in the pool after a long day (kinda small but no one else in there and kicked out a couple of laps). Has a good breakfast in the morning - typical BW fair - little bit of fruit, yogurt, eggs, potatoes, waffles to make, pastries, coffee, juice etc. We were there for a few nights and each morning entrees were slightly different. Nothing fancy but works well to start the day. We stayed here as we wanted to visit the Painted Desert & Petrified Forest - about 30 minutes away. Would definitely stay there again.

    « Arizona road trip »

I have stayed in a few Best Westerns in my time but this is more like a motel than an Inn / Hotel. To be fair, the room was spacious and clean but it was a long way from reception and apart from a Denny's, the only other place to eat was a Mesa bar about 2 blocks down which luckily had a good meal menu and beer / spirits selection at reasonable prices. You could tell by the people in there that it was a local meeting place. For me Holbrook is somewhere to simply stop over at on the way to somewhere else as there is nothing to see or do there but it is well positioned for the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. Not recommended for tourists really - sorry

« Great place to stay »

We found this hotel to be a great place to stay on our trip. The Room was nice, clean and relaxing. The front desk staff and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was hot with a great selection of hot and cold items. We would stay here again.

    « Clean and friendly »

If you are towing a trailer it's difficult to find parking due to hotel and diner sharing the lot. Otherwise, comfortable and clean room, spacious. Good breakfast with hot food. I have a fear of bugs so rate this very well on that count. Hot shower and quiet area.

My wife and I have stayed here several times and it has always been a pleasant experience. We would recommend staying here to our friends who travel in this direction. The rooms are always clean and kept up, it is quiet, the breakfast is good and the staff are very courteous. We will stop here again.

« Good people, good breakfast... Value for money »

All employees were very helpful. Esp the person who was serving breakfast was very nice and polite. Good breakfast. Nothing to complain about the rooms or food. Value for money. But there are no cell phone signals in the room i stayed (At&T). Of course it's not the fault of the hotel.

The suite was great, clean, roomy with very friendly staff. There was only one tiny waste basket and even though there were three adults staying for five nights, our request was denied. Only one waste basket per room. These are not cheap rooms.

    « Terrific hotel »

The front desk staff, both at check-in and check-out, were very professional, friendly and kind. I especially appreciated how security-conscious the staff member who checked me in was. There was a group of men in the lobby waiting to check in, and she was very general about the location of my room and didn't say the room number at all. I really appreciated her attention to that! All the staff that we ran into were friendly and kind, going out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place.

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

We found this hotel by billboards on the interstate. Had been on the road for 2 days but were stopping early so we could go to the Petrified Forest the next day. When we walked into our room, we were so pleased with how nice it was. It was spacious and had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed. It would have been very easy for us to stay there a little while longer, had we not had a show to go to.

    4
    « Very nice room »

I stayed here for 2 nights, I spent a day at the Painted Desert/Petrified Forest National park. The room was very comfortable and clean. The layout of the motel is a little sprawled out so my walk for breakfast was a little long and brisk, but the breakfast was very good. If you have issues walking you will need to make sure the staff knows you need a room closer to the lobby. There is a Denny's right next to the motel if you are looking for a meal that you don't have to drive for. The motel was a good value.

We have stayed at the Best Western Arizonian on three occasions while traveling from California to the Midwest. The rooms and property are always very clean, with comfortable beds, staff is always polite and go out of their way to make your stay there exceptional. The hot breakfast is always fresh and plentiful with choices to suit any appetite. This is the only place to stay when in Holbrook AZ. This place gets a 5 star rating in my book.

    « Excellent staff »

Comfortable beds, friendly and efficient staff made my stay enjoyable. I was greeted in a warm manner and immediately shown to my room. It was clean and warm in spite of it being 10 degrees outside. It was great to have the restaurant adjacent to the rooms so no one needed to go outside to get a delicious meal. The breakfast was excellent.

« Friendly staff, fresh decor, clean rooms »

Great value. We usually stay at one of the marriott brands but they have nothing here. Chose this location as they advertised renovated rooms. Someone actually came by our room this evening to make sure the room had been cleaned and if everything goes as okay. The attendant at breakfast checked to make sure everything was okay. If I came back to this area would def stay here again.

« Busiest hotel in Holbrook »

This hotel seemed to be the most popular in Holbrook. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms weren't the biggest but it worked for a night. Check in and check out was friendly. Breakfast was ok nothing spectacular. Room was clean. The parking lot seemed almost full. And the ice machine was down but it was freezing the night we arrived so not surprised. Per friendly which was a plus for us. Overall it wasn't a bad place to rest our heads for the night.

    « Taken advantage of....Traveler Beware »

We attempted to stay here on a cross country trip. Showed up and was informed that my reservation was for the next night. Even though I booked it online for the same night (double checked to be sure.) It was late at night, well morning 1:30AM local time so we were trapped. The desk clerk offered a room with 1 bed when we needed 2 beds for double the price that the reservation was for and was rude and otherwise un-accommodating. Needless to say we felt very trapped and taken advantage of, being in the middle of Arizona and a long way from the next town. We asked that our reservation be canceled and clearly stated that we would not be there the next night since we were headed down the road. I checked a couple day later and I was charged for a no show. Shady, how can you be a now show when you were there. I have tried to contact the hotel management and they do not have the decency or professionalism to return my call even after multiple attempts to reach them. Further more I can no longer recommend any Best Western properties as the corporate office also refused to help resolve the issue. A cannot even begin to describe the frustration and disappointment with this situation. Don't even think about staying here, I suggest driving on through Holbrook or stopping long before you get there.

« If I could give them negative stars I would CROOKS »

I booked a room on Expedia with the tag of Showlow and after booking it gave us the heads up of our Holbrook reservation. We immediately called to cancel. They told us they could not refund us our money for the room and that we'd have to call expedia. So we did. Expedia went to battle for us trying to convince the front desk that we had literally booked the room 5 minutes prior. They refused to refund our money and now I am a days works worth of money out. Thanks Guys, my wife and kids are super happy since you know... you robbed us of part of our vacation money. They acted like they did us a favor by refunding us the second night... because holbrook is such a "happening place" that of the many open rooms being booked for 5 minutes lost your business money. BBB here I come. Thieves. DO NOT LET THIS PLACE ROB YOU.

    « Unhappy cancel experience »

We made reservations for two rooms, but due to the weather in that area, we had to take the southern route. We called to cancel our rooms the night before arriving only to be told that we didn't cancel within they're 24 hour time frame! Oh my, give me a break!! It was 25 1/2 hours and we were in a different time zone! They agreed only to cancel only one of our rooms as a courtesy! So, we will pay the price for NOT driving in bad weather, however please consider staying somewhere else on our behalf! Customer service is NOT a priority at this hotel!!

« Well worth the money. »

Very nice motel, but when they say pet friendly, they should really say, we will put the fear of god into you if any damage is done by your pet, and we won't give you a receipt except by email after checking the room and then never sending a receipt.

Spent the night on our trip back to southern Az after the holidays with our Golden and cat..very pet friendly and the staff are exceptional...convenient Denny's next door and the room was extremely clean!! Would stay again and reccomend..Only down side (I feel) was the room rate..did have to pay pet fees as well..

    « Overnight Road Trip »

We stopped at this hotel on the way to Vegas. I was very impressed with both staff members that I encountered. They were very friendly and courteous. Our room was very comfortable and clean. There was plenty of space and a nice sitting area. My only disappointment was the mattress on the bed. It was very soft and needed to be replaced.

« Excellent highway hotel in Holbrook »

Booked as a regular close-to-highway hotel in Holbrook but found it to be one of the best on the whole 5 week trip to the USA. Handy to highway, good service, OK breakfast and an extremely comfortable bed.

« An older but comfortable Best Western - that loves dogs »

We are on our way to Scottsdale, Arizona and needed a place to sleep before the 4 hour trip down the side of the mountains toward Phoenix from I 40. The Arizonian Inn is right off I 40 and it is dog-friendly. We had a comfortable room with 2 queen beds, a refrigerator, a microwave, free Wifi and free parking. There is an outdoor pool - but it was closed in January (of course). There is a Denny's restaurant that shares the motel's parking lot. The TV has lots of cable channels, including HBO and ESPN - but, surprisingly, NO PBS. We wanted to watch the first episode of the last season for Downton Abbey -- and there was no PBS channel ... There was a good and free breakfast - eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal and coffee ... My dog enjoyed this place, but the dog-walking area was a little far from our room. She cost $20 extra for the night's stay. This an old, classic 2-story motel building. It's clean, quiet and comfortable - and the staff was super friendly. Too bad about no PBS ----

    « Lack of privicy »

I am a Diamond member of Best Western, just to let you know how often I stay at a Best western. I stayed at this hotel Jan 3 ,2016 because most of the reviews were positive. The room was nice and comfortable. I got in late and placed a "do not disturb" sign on my door before retiring. At 8:30 there was a loud knock on my door by housekeeping and I told them that I was still in the room. I called the front desk at 10:30 and requested a 12:00 checkout and it was granted. At 11:15, housekeeping just opened the door and came in with me in my underwear and my wife almost nude. All this time the "do not disturb" sign was still on my door. I called down to the front desk to complain and got no apology. They said they had no record of my calling for a late checkout, that I must have given them the wrong room number. I pointed out to them that their phone system identified the room the call was coming from and asked for an apology. They said they would let housekeeping know. I pointed out that since she was management, maybe an apology was approiate from her. There are too many hotels in this part of the world to have to put up with no privicy and rudeness. I wil not stay here again.

    4
« Clean, modern, and pet friendly »

The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet, and very modern. Pet friendly with $20 pet fee. Stayed one night while traveling cross country. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay. Not much going on in the area, but okay for an overnight stay if you are passing through.

    « Not the Ritz »

Staying here because you need a nights sleep before moving on the next day is a good value. Rooms clean, bed was decent, and fairly quiet after 10pm. Recommend getting a room away from the dog area, unless you are a person that has to travel with the dog. Denny's out front was Denny's, nothing to write home about. Didn't eat here for breakfast.

    3
    « I'd go somewhere else »

The hotel would have been fine except the bed was just terrible. It was hard and bouncy. I've never stayed in a BW with a bed this bad. While I usually stay at Best Westerns, I will look for another place when traveling through Holbrook.

    5
    « Great Experience »

Had a great experience at the best Western. The room was spacious and clean, great reception and service, Betty was professional and truly welcoming. Breakfast was abundant, yet all white flour products and lots of sugary food.... Nowadays we would expect from such a chain some whole grain bread and maybe some vegetables or cheese...

    1
« Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in »

Room was freezing, beds should have been replaced years ago. For the price it was a rip off, would have been better off staying at a 3rd rate motel. Will never stay at this hotel again or recommend it to any one.

    2
    « Smelly Heater »

Not suitable for children, hated that when me and my kids woke they had black stuff in they nose, they felt kind of sick to, morning breakfast this guy is just starring at you like if you are going to steal food all the way till you are done ughhhhh...

    « Avoid this property »

Although the location was convenient, this aging property is only adequate. In future I will look for an alternative location or hotel chain. The non-smoking room had a distinct odor of smoke. The barking dog in an adjacent room went on for at least 45 minutes. The TV didn't work. Find an alternative hotel.

« This Hotel Does A Lot of the Right Things »

At $80 its a very good value. Nicely Updated / Clean Rooms with 42" LCD. Stable and fast WiFi. Kinda small but nicely updated breakfast area. Jesse and Mikaela ( Im not sure how she spells her name) are professional and very good staff.

    « 1 night stay »

This was a very clean and quiet room. The TV was new and had great reception not like other places I have stayed. We had WiFi in the room also very nice. The breakfast was very helpful because we wanted to be on the road early in the morning. The food was good and fresh. Great tasting sausage and eggs.

« Very clean, very quiet, friendly staff »

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay. The motel seemed recently remodeled and was wonderfully clean. The front desk staff were friendly. I was traveling alone and felt comfortable and safe here. It is a nice, modest hotel. I would stay here again.

The rooms were clean and fresh. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The staff at the front desk was very pleasant and friendly. They helped out at check in and check out. The breakfast was okay but needed some seasoning and a little warmer. Great selection of items. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Will stay at this Best Western again. Love it.

« Adequate motel/hotel for an overnight stay »

Stayed here twice in November 2015...heading out & coming back for Thanksgiving vacation. The first stay wasn't so good...the plumbing in the shower/bath had been disassembled (probably for a fix or upgrade), and was unusable (literally...all the handles & spigots had been removed & were laying on the floor). Also, the room was in "cold storage"...heat wasn't on, etc. The manager waived our pet fee to compensate. On the trip back, it was "as expected"...room was fine, etc. This isn't a 5-star motel/hotel...it's definitely a 3-/4-star place. But, when you need to crash after a long drive, there isn't anything else for almost 100 miles in either direction...so it fits the bill.

    3
    « Bed sloppy »

I really do appreciate the renovations, they are awesome. But on this particular stay the bed was sloppily made and the pillow cases were too small and extremely wrinkled. The ends of the pillows are exposed, so I think they need to purchase larger pillow cases.

    3
    « Not high quality »

Room was below average in comfort. Shower did not work well. Needs an upgrade to justify cost of room. Over, all I would stay here again if all other hotels were full. There needs to be some attention given to breakfast . Food was just warm and quality was below average.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is what I expected. I did not have any material issues. The front desk recommended a good local restaurant, and the breakfast staff was very attentive and seemed to enjoy working.

    4
    « Courteous Staff »

The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They even gave us a discount because they had to call us back on the reservations so that was a nice surprise. Very clean hotel with a decent breakfast. The hotel is a little older and could use a little updating, but you can't beat the friendly service so that went a long way with us.

    5
    « Good quality accomadation »

We stayed one night at the Arizonian Inn. After a long drive it was great to have a friendly welcome from the receptionist. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely return to this hotel if we are in the area again.

« Good place to stay »

We had an easy check in with friendly staff. She gave me a National Parks brochure on the Petrified Forest which we wanted to stop to see the next day. We had their upstairs suite room which had a separate living room with a refrigerator and microwave TV, a chair, desk and chair and a sofa that made into a bed. Down the hall the bedroom had another TV and large closet. The bathroom was off the hall. The breakfast had eggs, sausage, assortment of rolls, cereal and more. The breakfast staff were friendly and cleared dirty plates quickly. The entire place looked clean. I'd recommend the place as a good place to stay.

    5
    « Great Stay »

The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, beds very comfortable. The front desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly and courteous. Very good breakfast choices. All staff contributed to our positive experience. Thumbs up to all, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

    « Great room »

The room was very nice, clean, spacy, no noise. Breakfast one of the best we had on our trip. Like scrambled eggs, waffel, flakes Nearby there is not much, Safway at the beginning of town (other side). Good situated for petrified forest or on route 66.

    5
    « Breakfast »

Night check-in clerk said the breakfast was not to be missed. She was right. Oatmeal, waffles, juices, coffee. King-sized bed was comfy, room was spotless, but what else is there to say? Nearby restaurant called Mesa Italian was surprisingly super - highly recommended!

the hotel has some age to it, but rooms are clean and good for the price. also the staff are excellent they will do anything to make stay enjoyable Its nice there is a Dennys next door. the stairs are bad for people with trouble walking up stairs so try to get a 1St floor room if you can. « In the Heart of Route 66 »

Stayed one night on our way to the Painted Desert and to take in the Route 66 sights within Holbrook. There was a lighting storm, which is part of monsoon season which felt like a scene right out of Universal Studios. We hung out on the balcony and enjoyed the experience. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast had many options and was well cooked. Holbrook is a great town if you are a fan of Route 66. There are several great sights to see including a saloon which rivaled Dodge City for one of the toughest saloons in the United States

« Excellent accomodations and super friendly staff »

Upon entering to check-in, I was met by three smiling faces! I felt as though they were waiting for our arrival. Michael, in particular, was very helpful in suggesting a restaurant which we were able to walk to. This was great since we had been in the car travelling for hours. While eating, Michael came into the restaurant and upon seeing us came up and said hello! Breakfast was good but the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Holbrook, AZ.

    « Helpful Courteous Staff »

Stayed one night on my trip down Route 66, Out of town a bit, but since the town isn't too big it wasn't bad. Front desk and other staff friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. WiFi service and cell service was very bad. So don't plan on checking facebook or do any streaming.

« Nice Best Western on Historic Route 66 »

A friendly staff gave a us a good feeling as we checked in. A very clean hotel. (They were scrubbing the outside landings as we arrived.) Quiet and within walking distance of several restaurants. A very pleasant clean room, good internet service. Tstaff was extremely friendly when we checked in. We received a call shortly after checking asking if all was OK. At breakfast the staff was interacting asking people how there stay was. Was a very nice place to stay.

    « Ripped off »

I travel for business every week of the year and sometimes find out in the evening I have to leave the next day. This hotel chose to rip me off for the 2nd day after I checked out. Wouldn't surprise me if they then rented the room out. Even though I have to be in Holbrook, AZ for business 6 times a year with staff and book 24 hotel nights I'd rather drive to Gallup rather than be ripped off by this hotel again. The manager should be ashamed if that's how they chose to treat Best Western diamond members - real nice.

    « A Friendly Stop »

The staff works hard here to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Marcie in the breakfast bar was pleasant, cordial and helpful. She seemed to be genuinely interested in people's trips (let's face it - no one comes to Holbrook, most just travel though). The rooms are big and clean.

« Great Night at Best Western »

Instead of driving straight through to Lake Havasu Arizona, we stopped in Holbrook. The Best Western was a great stop. Clean, friendly. The only thing wrong was no elevators to second floor. A lot of older people and it is hard to carry luggage up the steps when you have both knees replaced.

    5

From courteous welcome by friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast with a lot of prepared food options we had a great time during our stay. This is very close to the Interstate easy on/off and a Denny's right on the property (not affiliated)

    « Great Motel,Great Price »

Great motel, the front desk woman was very nice and friendly. The room was recently remodeled and was like a suite and very very clean. A very large room, lots of room,a microwave, small frig, large bathroom, separate area for the sink and a large counter space. There was a great Mexican restaurant right down the street, can't remember the name. Not much else in this small town except a great motel. We had a very quiet night's sleep and the mattresses were very comfortable. The next morning we ate Breakfast right there. It was very good, with a great variety of food. The oatmeal was fantastic. The price was very reasonable and worth every penny. Would stay there again and probably will on our way to Lake Havasu City Arizona this January.

    3
« Too expensive for a budget motel. »

You need to upgrade your bedding. Our other motels all had nicer beds and nicer bedding and they were budget motels like Motel 6 and Econo Lodge. The maids need to clean the hair dryer including the plug and the bathroom outlet in addition to cleaning the TV remote. The eggs looked like half moons. I don't know how you get eggs to do that. The toilet is too close to the wall so that you bump your knees with the door. It could easily have been place closer to the shower to avoid this.

    4
« One night in Hobrooke AZ »

The room location was great. We could park our car right outside our door to unload and load luggage. Nice room. Newly remodeled. Had dinner at Denny's right next door, convenient. The only negative was the breakfast. The room was small and crowded. Not enough places to sit. Tables too close together. Noisy. Hard to get to food. Needed to wait for coffee. Another guest told me where to find the disposable cups. The gal working there was polite and helpful, but obviously needed help.

    3
    « Pet Room »

I would have preferred a room on the first floor for convenience but the motel was unable to provide one. We have been staying at this motel because it is a pet friendly motel and we have always been very satisfied with the rooms and service.

« Quick one night stay, great service, good hotel. »

We were traveling back from Albuquerque to Las Vegas and stopped in for the night. Hotel was clean, and service was great. The only issue we had was that the Wireless Internet didn't work. Due to being tired, we didn't report it or worry about it. We were on vacation, and it wasn't pressing for us to be online. We enjoyed the restaurant in the evening for dinner, but at breakfast we had dirty forks and knives. Overall, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

« POT LUCk! Nice Hotel and good staff! »

A very pleasant surprise in a rather small town on I-40! We never travel on a strict itinerary and often find ourselves looking for an affordable, clean and nice hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at the Arizonian Inn in Holbrook AZ. Staff was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a pleasant and restful night along with a good complimentary breakfast. « Better Than Average »

This hotel is better than average but does not stretch to Very Good. However, Good was not an option. It was, however; a pleasant surprise as it far exceeded my expectations for a stay in tiny Holbrook, AZ. Almost all categories below have to be upgraded to Very Good because it was better than average and good is not an option.

    5
    « Nice all around »

We enjoyed our stay here in the small town of Holbrook. The staff was helpful and quick to assist. There is plenty of food near by. They share a parking lot with a Denny's. The beds were clean and so was the bathroom.

« this place was ok »

Our room was clean and comfortable and cool. we did have a fridge. The staff was friendly. They had bottled water and snacks at the desk for a fee. Our last best western had a big container of ice water free on our arrival, which was much more welcoming and did not cost the hotel that much. To get ice out of the ice machine, you have to put your room key in the slot. This took a while to figure out. Breakfast was fine.

« Hotel is okay, Staff not so much »

We had reserved a king room and after driving 12-1/2 hours were told at 3:00 P.M. we would have a significant wait. Had to demand a different room (Queen) in order to be given a room in a timely manner.

« The Location could put you off but it's OK! »

We stopped here for one night on a Titan Tour after visiting the Petrified Forest & Painted Sands, it's just a short drive away. We did actually have a pleasant stay and a decent nights sleep (no noise) it was really just a bed for the night but this a motel really not a hotel as all rooms lead off of the car park but saying that there was no noise at all. This Best Western is situated among a line of motel type places all looking very similar and the whole area looks pretty desolate & bleak. This location/motel is fine for a one or two night break or just passing through but any longer I'm not so sure. Situated within the car park is a Denny's diner, unless you wish to drive his is the only place for an evening meal within walking distance but we had a very nice dinner with very pleasant staff in attendance and if you show your room card you get 10% off of your bill. Next morning we had a free 'hotel' breakfast near reception but we were on a tour with 27 of us and we really did fill the place, could do with a few more tables & chairs. Not a brilliant breakfast but there was some cooked on offer & cereal & pastries with coffee & juice. Plastic disposable cutlery & definitely DIY. There is an extremely small swimming pool with a few sunbeds.

    4
    « Nice place »

Stayed one night passing through. Was clean and front desk quickly checked us in. Breakfast was good. A Denny's was next to the hotel if the buffet at the hotel was not to your liking. Over all nice place to stay Near meteor crateor and the petrified forest.
