« Far from city center »

Stayed for a couple of nights in October, and arrived Helsinki with Ferry in the evening. The hotel is far from sea and city center, so I stuck in the bad traffic. The room was clean, but small bathroom and water accumulated on the bath floor, due to some kind of probable problem in drain. Breakfast was good. There are a couple of bus stations near hotel if you do not have car. The staff were friendly and helpful.

« good time in Helsinki during FinBuild »

Hotel is not spectacular but ok, friendly receptionist, with the tip to safe money for to become member, Gym with modern equipment, big Pool, located between Airport and Fairground, great restaurant, extraordinary breakfast

    « so so »

+: Staff was polite and helpful Room was good Breakfast was good Swimming pool was quite large Sauna was nice -: 25-30 EUR to get to the Helsinki center is a bit too much Spa was not working on Sunday and all booked one day in advance. Therefore specially choosing this Hotel because of the SPA, we had to still go and book SPA somewhere else.

« Not nice place for long term staying »

Hotel is not business class, it is located like in the middle of nowhere, not nice room design and small shower. In my opinion price is not adequate to service. Breakfast as well is medium quality, not big choice. In the price of the room is included only swimming pool, if you want to use gym, you have to pay additional costs

    « Best BEST WESTERN »

Although only one day stay- it has been outstanding. The hotel is close, but not too close to the Vanta Airport. It is in a very green location. We arrived early in the morning, nevertheless, got our room from a very efficient and friendly receptionist. The room was clean, functional and close to the elevator. The breakfast was splendid.Good to know that there are hotels like this one!

« 2 night stay with our dog. »

We had a short stay here in Helsinki before going to the Baltic countries. It was a very nice room, big and well furnished. The bathroom though was very very small, therefore we only give 4 stars, because it was really annoying with a bathroom so small. We had breakfast included wich had a wide selection of everything you need for breakfast. We had our dog with us and there is good places nearby to walk the dog.

    « Stayed one night »

An average hotel, the room was clean and tidy, right size and the breakfast was ok. Nothing special but a good hotel if you are just looking for one night stay. Location is not that bad if you travel by your own car.

« Good proximity to airport »

Stayed here for one night and had an early morning flight. Checked in late, but the lady at the desk was lovely. She helped to arrange an airport taxi for me because my flight was very early, and the price of the taxi was reasonable. Despite missing the continental breakfast I still got breakfast which was included in the price. The price was reasonable (I had a twin room), and included quite a bit. The rooms were very clean. Not the best place to stay if you need easy access to the city (there are bus routes but it isn't very frequent and is about 20mins from the city centre). It is good if you have a car or if you need good access to the airport, though.

    3
    « Good service »

We got the room with good price and therefore the stay was ok. The location is not very good. Breakfast was good and had quite big choice. Be ready to pay for car parking during working hours! The hotel needs some renovation.

« Good Property just on Outskirts of City »

The property had well appointed rooms.Good location near Park and just few minutes outside city.Rooms are small in size . It has a good swimming pool and Sauna and also massage. The property is suitable for business travellers more than tourist.

    « Good enough »

It's a typical chain hotel with good standard all along but with no real wow-factor. Rooms are fresh and comfy, staff is competent and the breakfast is great. The location is well outside the city center and it's not the best option if you want to explore Helsinki. If you like us are looking for a convenient overnight stop between the airport and the roads leading to south-western Finland it's a great deal for the money. The pool and sauna will give you the relaxation you need.

« Bad for the Business Traveller »

While I appreciated the selection at breakfast, that did not make up for the poor wifi connection. This made it impossible to conduct any business. It would constantly disconnect and I ended up taking a taxi to a coffee shop to get wifi. They should not advertise wifi as a main selling point if they don't have a reliable connection, or I would have stayed elsewhere. Additionally, the bathroom is small and it's impossible not to leak water everywhere, there is a good deal of mildew and mold in the shower, and the shower curtain is hung in such a way it is impossible to shower without having the gross fabric stick to you the whole time or bumping up against the moldy tiles. (And I'm a small person at 5' so I can't imagine how normal people fit comfortably in here.) The room was clean, but I was a single person and they gave me two beds stuck together to form one big bed with a crack in between the place where the beds are attached. I would have just preferred one bed to the two weird attached beds. Overall, I will look elsewhere next time I'm in town. Not a good experience.

« It depends on your goals »

This hotel is very nice, but it is not for sightseeing. If you want to be in the City Center, you can find something closer. But anyway there is a bus station (bus 63) close to the Hotel and you can easily get to the Town. On the other hand, it is close to the Airport. About the room: it is cozy and clean, everything is new, there are a lot of lights (usually it is dark in hotels and not enough for makeup)))), there is a hairdryer, ironing-board with iron, even heated towel rail. There are kettle and cups, coffee and tea in the room. All these things make you feel very comfortable. But there were no toiletries in my room (only soap), I didn't ask for them because I always have mine, but you should bear in mind if it is important for you! A Wi-Fi works very good. There is a fitness center and SPA in the hotel, but I didn't use it. A breakfast is ok, nothing special but pretty good!

« easy access to airport and city...decent value »

staff were great and very accommodating, breakfast buffet every morning was a treat, lots of variety , travelled with 7 year old , so pool was a bonus for her. Morning we left had proper size taxi arrive so our dog crate and puppy travelled to air port easily.

    « Basically almost OK. »

Good location close to my office, friendly staff, clean enough, good breakfast selection. The biggest minus was temeperature in the room. There was + 26 when I arrived. I adjusted A/C to cooler, maximum fan and target to + 21. After the too sweaty night in the morning there was still + 25. I also wondered why there was extra bed made even though I booked a room for one. Now the sofa wasn't available.

« An almost good nights sleep »

The hotel is located neatly just outside Helsinki center in Haaga area. Buss connections and the train station just a short walk away. The hotel has a great lobby and the reception service is excellent. There is a pool, sauna and day spa. The gym is also great but the price 10€ is too expensive. The room were I stayed was nicely decorated with only some flaws. The shower door was broken inside of the shower. And the pillows were horrible to sleep. Breakfast was amazing. With great selection of Finnish cuisine and international dishes.

    « Very pleasant stay »

Nice and clean hotel, good breakfasts and very helpful staff. Swimming pool is a big plus. In my last room I did have a capsule coffee machine, but not sure if this is a standard. Quite far away from the city, nearest shops are about 1500m. away. Restaurant is quite expensive.

    « Value for money »

Nice, clean hotel. Excellent and friend servive. Good restaurant. Basic breakfast. quite far away from Centrum. Basic rooms, clen and spacy. Nothing to complain. No reason to avoid comeback. Recommended for this price.

« Not bad but not perfect either »

Positives: Receptionist was really helpful. The hotel is not the newest one but it's relatively well maintained. Large windows with nice view. There is no metro but you can use buses 63, 42 to get to the downtown in 15-20 minutes. Negatives: I didn't like the bathroom, it was rather smelly. Even though we asked for a breakfast box because we were leaving early in the morning we didn't receive anything. They just forgot.

    « Weekend seminar »

Everything worked ok. Location is only not good thing of this hotel. Had to come by bus to the train station. Swimming pool ws very beatiful and the water warm. Staff was very kindly. On sunday we had lunch brunch.

« Quick and positive experience »

For a quick in-and-out business meeting in Heksinki, you want things to be ... quick. In Haaga everything was quick, the check in, payment, order in the restaurant, breakfast and checkout with taxi ready outside. And not once missing the beat of guest service. I don't always understand Fins, but at this hotel they understand a business traveler with no time for waiting - still with high expectations.

« Good hotel for business travel »

Location is good enough when you have business in that part of the town. Room was clean and bed was good. The hotel was very silent and breakfast started early enough (often they are too late and you have to leave with no breakfast...). This is a good place if you need a peaceful plece to work and sleep.

    « Great! »

A very nice hotel in the outskirts, but just 12-15 minutes by bus (No. 42, 63) from Kamppi or Train Station. Very cosy. professional staff. The rooms are big with all necessary facilities. Good bathroom, fresh towels. Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Perfect breakfast with a good selection of cold and hot dishes, smoked salmon, fresh fruits, desserts, yogurts, nuts, porridge, etc. Highly recommended for a stay at Helsinki.

« Feels like you should be happy to stay here »

I do have this problem with Best Western - consistency. This is a good example, you arrive queue, get served by a surly receptionist and go to your sparse room. Everything works, but is tired and slightly broken. For example, empty the sink and your feet have a shower - not because the pipe is broken, its because its been plumbed into do that! Dinner is a farce - there are few members of staff, so you end up queuing just to get a seat ( not helped by them closing off half the restaurant, assumingly to make their lives easier as it does not help the customer). The whole feeling is this is a hotel that does not care - as long as they are getting paid for people staying why do they have to try. There are better hotels in Helsinki at a similar price.

« Good value for a business trip »

Stayed 4 nights while on a business trip. Hotel is not central, located on outskirts of the city, not much happening in the immediate locality so evening dining options were limited unless heading into town. Hotel restaurant was ok. Room was ok. Comfy enough for the price. The desk was fine for getting work done. Hotel is easy to reach by taxi from airport ( about 15 mins). If it suits you to be based in this part of town then Haaga is a good value option.

« Hotel close to new airport train »

This hotel is a bit outside the city centre, but there is a bus stop very close to the hotel, from where there are several buses going directly to the main station. It is also a short walk from the Huopalahti train station which serves the airport. The hotel is a standard chain hotel with all conveniences you would expect from this type of hotel. The breakfast buffet has a good variety of hot and cold food.

    2
    « Business trip »

The sauna was a bit difficut to use. There is a gym in the same building and they are using same sauna aswell. In restaurag the menu has been same for few months now. There was lots of noice in the yard, goz they where rebuilding something.

    2
    « Disappointed »

Nice and friendly service personnel both at front desk and in restaurant. But - had to wait a loooong time for my burger in the restaurant, and it wasn't tastier for that.... - TV is said to show one(1) Swedish channel - the public service SVTWorld but was actually the commercial TV4! - regulating (lowering) the temperature in the room was not done by the display for the heating/cooling system but by opening the window and turning down the radiator. Cost me a night of sleep to find out after consulting the (friendly) front desk next day.

    4
    « Gluten-Free Friendly »

I spent only one night in this Hotel, but i enjoyed a lot the swimming pool and the rooms. The amazing thing was to have a gluten free menu for the dinner and a gluten free buffet area for the breakfast. I strongly recommend it.

    « Dirty, dirty, dirty... »

The whole room was dirty. Hairs everywhere.. In the bathroom, the sink, the floor, on the beds... and also mold in the shower!! going to the receipton of this big hotel realizing this is a general problewm in this Hotel!! The whole carpet dirty as well! Not only the dirt of one day.. more than one week or months. Nothing has been clean. At least breakfast was okay and the service was friendly.

« Equipment lacks service and maintenance »

Not too good an impression after a few days stay in this hotel. Washing sink in the bathroom doesn't flow well, almost obstructed, plus water leakage from the ceiling of the bathroom, and also seals and corners of the shower place not clean... All of this does not provde anything like an excellent impression. Not to mention the light system not working properly, not able to switch main light off. The worst thing is that room clean-up personnel is obviously aware of the issue, but does not communicate on it as it is not resolved spontaneously. Maybe some kind of "not my job" syndrom ? Breakfast is acceptable but dinner food is not outstanding, especially the red meat that is not worth its price. Internet works well.

« Good hotel, a short bus ride from the city centre »

I stayed here for 1 night in September 2015. I was a bit nervous about staying further out from the city centre, but in the end this didn't pose any problems - there is a bus stop 2 minutes' walk away which goes to the main Helsinki Train Station. As others have mentioned, you can buy a ticket on the bus, so it's all very straightforward. Of course, the other benefit is that the price at this hotel is often much cheaper than staying in the centre city! The hotel is also very close to a beautiful park, if you want to go for a nice walk :) Breakfast was included and was excellent. Room was a bit small. but absolutely fine - plus it was very clean and warm! Overall, would recommend if you are comfortable with a short bus ride into the city, especially if the price is much cheaper!

« A bit out of town. But great if you have wheels. »

I stayed here for three nights whilst exploring Nuuksio National Park. The booking was part of a special deal booked through Expedia. It was 30 to 50 Euro cheaper than equivalent offerings in the city centre. I found the hotel easily guided by Yoda, the Force and my Tom Tom. The check-in was smoothly done and I was quickly ensconced in my room. The he room was a large twin. The bathroom was smaller than a sardine tin. Both were clean and we'll maintained. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning effective and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was included else I usually go for something good locally. The fare was the standard hybrid Scandinavian coffee, breads, cheese, porridge and crispbread with English bacon, sausages and eggs. It was hearty but suffered from the usual dryness you get in overheated buffet service. The dinner restaurant however was much better. The fish soup and fish fillets I had on 2 nights was well done. The waiters were very good too. In summary, it is a bit of a distance from the city. However, if your business included small car then this hotel is worth a look in.

« Nice and peaceful hotel! »

Beds were really nice! Breakfast was superb! (even gluteinfree bread and options) +free sauna & swimmngpool. Hotel was nice and quiet! Free Wlan There was parking fee in front of hotel, but street (only 20m away) was free.

« Ok location, basic rooms. Good pool & sauna. »

Location of this hotel is ok but not very close to Helsinki city center so own car recommended. Affordable rates & ok/basic rooms. Breakfast ok too. Good for business travel and especially if you have car to get around. Hotel has nice big inside pool & good sauna. This is part of hotel school so lot of trainees.

    4
    « Great Food »

Not great for a quick stopover as taxis are expensive and its 3 buses from the airport but great for a shopping trip or on-going train journeys as 1 short bus ride. You can pay on the bus too so worries about going a ticket. Not much around the hotel apart for their great restaurant. My room was spacious and clean with a minibar, iron and all-in one washing dispenser. The pool is a good size, not too cold and the Sauna a great place to talk although don't be surprised by the nudity as apparently a proper Sauna is done in the nude! The best facility is their restaurant. The food is amazing for dinner & breakfast. The starters are as large as the main and everything I had was very tasty.
