« Nice property, big breakfast, heated pools »

This was a great, no frills option for my family over Thanksgiving. Rooms are comfortable enough, typical motel style. A small refrigerator was convenient for cold groceries. We did not have a microwave. The big breakfast was OK - waffles, cereals, pastries, oatmeal, eggs, bacon or sausage etc. not particularly exciting food but the quantity and variety was nice to sop up some CA wine and prepare for a day of adventure. The kids loved the heated pool, and I also enjoyed the hot tub every night. I inquired and apparently they offer wine tastings on Friday nights this time of year. Location was suitable - Tip Top liquor store and even Seghesio is within walking distance, a nice path along the road leads to it. You could even stretch it and walk downtown if you had to. A short drive to Dry Creek Valley and many, many wineries.

« Surprisingly nice Italian winery themed Best Western »

Nice, affordable stay in the middle of Sonoma wine country! We were surprised at the amenities in the room (fireplace, jacuzzi tub, fridge, coffee maker, nice courtyard view, and balcony). The bed was comfy and overall, the property is quiet. The hotel serves daily breakfast, free wifi, is clean, and warrants a relaxing stay. The location is indeed a bit off the beaten path, a mile from downtown Healdsburg. I wish that the mile was walkable, but the streets are rather dark at night in this part of town and it felt unsafe.

    « Hot water please »

The room is very nice. It takes over 5 minutes to get any warm water for a shower. Letting the water run for that long, or more, is a waste. We are in a drought! I would think the hotel would fix this ASAP!

    « DOG NOISE »

If you go there for a special weekend retreat with your wife I would think twice. If you don't mind waking up at 7am with multiple dogs barking for at least a half hour. then thats ok. I had to call the front desk after 20 minutes and they didn't know what to do. Then when room service came in and cleaned my room Saturday they did not leave me any bath towels on hand towels. Went I got out of the shower Sunday morning and being awoke by dogs I went to dry off only to find that they had left no bath towels only 2 hand towels. Ever try to dry off with a hand towel?

« Try to stay somewhere else if you can afford it. »

This isn't the worst hotel you will ever stay in, but it's not the best, or even average. If you do stay here, try to stay in the newer building, as I believe that these appear to be nicer and newer. Our room and bathroom was a bit old. We stayed in the old wing, and our room directly faced the traffic and the noise. They had no other rooms we could switch to. The carpets appeared a little dirty, and the pillows were not comfortable-- I got a serious stiff neck and still have it 2 days later because they are too big! The final straw was when I went out to the reception desk to buy a bottle of water-- the ONLY machine that sold water (there are several that sell soda) was out of order, and I was told the closest place to get a bottle of water was 2 miles down the road. For a Best Western I think they could do just a little better.

    « Nice affordable stay »

Went with my girlfriend and I have no real complaints about the stay. Sure I wish it was a little closer to downtown, but a $6 Uber ride isn't terrible. The room was clean and had some nice amenities including the soaking tub and the speaker system that greeted us on arrival. The bed was quite comfortable and the temperature of the room was easily manipulated. If you wanna spend $100 more, go stay at the nice little inns but if you wanna spend that $100 somewhere else like at dinner, spend the night here and don't think twice.

« A very nice Best Western a mile from the center of Healdsburg »

We stayed at the Best Western Dry Creek, a 1.2 miles north of the center of Healdsburg. The town has great restaurants and tasting places, and is a super convenient location to Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley (mere minutes), and Alexander Valley. There were two buildings and cannot remember the name of them, but the breakfast was in the other building. Our room was actually especially nice. We had Room 334 -- Third floor room with two windows, each on a different wall, as the room was perpendicular to the end of the two parallel rows of rooms. Breakfast was your standard hotel free breakfast, acceptable. We did not use any amenities other than breakfast, as we were out each day wine-tasting. One item to note: there is a nice, really wide paved path that runs parallel to and between Grove Street and Healdsburg Ave, possibly originally part of the old railroad line whose tracks were alongside the path, so except for the first 50 feet or so, you can walk the entire way on a path into town.

    « Great central location »

We've stayed here often for wine country get always. Its close to town and in walking distance of a fabulous gourmet grocery store and a sort drive into town. In the heart of dry creek minute from many wineries. The downstairs court side rooms are great and allow you to meet up with friends and relax on the central court. Not a big fan of the breakfast

    « A few positive things... »

This is a wedding party venue. Travelers need to know this because, even though residents sign an agreement to keep the noise levels down after 10, it is rarely followed or enforced. The upgraded rooms in particular bump up against courtyard where parties take place. Easy walking distance to healdsburg. Lovely customer service, including breakfast attendants; however, bfast itself was mediocre at best. The room it is held in is incredibly loud when full. Whole experience was noisy. Although management was attentive and respectful, I would do my best not to stay there again.

« Convenient Location in Healdsburg »

We have stayed at the Dry Creek Inn several times when visiting Healdsburg, and have always been well satisfied with its accommodations. The rooms are nicely appointed, the breakfasts are ample with plenty of choices, and the location is convenient to many wineries, hiking at Lake Sonoma, and the Warm Springs salmon hatchery. We found it to be very popular and fully booked on week-ends, so usually plan our visits for mid-week.

« Decent hotel, good price, awful breakfast »

We stayed here for two nights and think the hotel is great value. The rooms are spacious and clean (other than when something fell behind the bedside locker and it hadn't been vacuumed for a long time). The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The diner out front is good. However the breakfast is terrible. The "omelette" was rubbery and smelt of margarine/butter substitute. Stick to the bagel and cream cheese option!

    4
« Bad weather but very good hotel »

We stayed here with a group of 18 people in March for the barrel tasting. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. They had a lovely patio and firepit which we could not enjoy because of the weather. A nice breakfast was included with our room. The hotel was in close proximity to downtown Healdsburg and the wineries. We would definitely recommend to friends.

    « Worth the money »

Stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of the wine country. Great location. At least 30 wineries within 10-15 minute drive. Many are small boutique wineries that have limited production and offer some really exceptional wines found only at the winery. It's also 5 minutes to the downtown square of Healdsburg, which is fun in itself. It rained all three days but its a really short distance from the parking lot to the tasting room. :>) The hotel rooms was fairly large and recently renovated. The bathroom is original and there is only so much you can do but the bed was great with nice furnishings. Got an upgrade rate by being BW rewards members. Breakfast was OK but since Healdsburg was so close we went to the Downtown Bakery and Creamery on the square for some delightful breakfast pastries. Great location and a wonderful get-away.

    « Poor customer service »

We went for my husbands birthday. Our first night there we were trying to enjoy a romantic evening in our room. Unfortunately there was a large Very Loud gathering in the courtyard right outside our room. We called the front desk at 2030 and asked "how much longer would the party be on going" the woman working the front desk was rude in the way she spoke to us about quiet hours starting at 2200 and at that time staff would . At 2130 we called again and asked can they at least ask the people to quiet down, woman at front desk said they would send the maintenance man to ask them. At 2230 my husband went to the front desk to complain and he reported that the female at the desk "she was so rude" The staff finally did something. We were up until 2300 and had to be up vert early the next morning.

« Great Deal in a Great small town »

Ended up coming back inland from the northern California coast due to rain and decided to try out Healdsburg after staying in both Napa and Sonoma. This is a great small town in the Wine Country and reasonable in price given the territory especially since I made the arrangements a couple of days before staying. The property is very nice and has valuable amenities like a free full breakfast and great exercise room where all the machines actually work. I understand that they have a wine tasting in the evening as well which I did not take advantage of since I had already been wine tasting on my way back from the coast. It is very close to the center of town where there are many great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Our Stay »

The location of the hotel was within a short walking distance to downtown Healdsburg. The walk was along a very nice walking and biking path that was well light. Our group felt safe on our foot journey. The hotel was low cost and was nicer than other BW that I stayed in. The setup and room design was similar, but the concept met my expectation in facilitating our wine tasting experience. The staff was kind and helpful, suggesting opportunities for us to enjoy during our vacation. The desk and house keeping staff, as well as the breakfast staff were very accommodating and professional. Overall I would recommend this BW Dry Creek. It was an affordable and comfortable experience for all of us.

    « Beautiful but overpriced »

Stayed there midweek for two nights recently, and must say our initial impression of the rooms, courtyard , and building, was very impressive. Rooms were large, but seemed to be lacking amenities for the price. Only one chair in a deluxe room, meaning that one person had to sit on the bed, or on a rather uncomfortable desk chair. Called the front desk for some information, (there was no room directory) and answered our question rather abruptly. Although we are Diamond Club members, were not recognized or acknowledged, and although this is really insignificant, reflected the attitude of our stay. Breakfast was very underwhelming, and basic. We will not stay here again.

    « May go back »

We stayed 2 nights last week. Check in was very good, Brian at desk was super. Room was on 3rd floor in older section. Had king bed, sofa bed nice bathroom, very clean. Outside of hotel is not the greatest, tried to be med style, but things used are cheap looking. Breakfast not so good Watery oatmeal, cheese omelette warm, waffles best thing coffees hot and good. Adels next door best place around, down home food and lots of it.

    « Great little Hotel!!! »

I've stayed here many, many times. They have update the hotel and my stay was even nicer this time. The rooms are super comfortable. The staff is so friendly & helpful. The location is incredible. The free breakfast is very nice & a great way to start your day. And the very best thing, the Location! You're right at the door of Dry Creek Valley and so close to some wonderful wineries. And of course, it's just a few blocks into town where there are world class restaurants. I highly recommend this Hotel!

    3
« over priced for quality »

I did not actually stay in a room at this hotel, rather went to a function in one of the halls they provide for events. I found the grounds and rooms that I did see were in need of an upgrade or refreshed. For the price that is charged, it is not worth it. The Healdsburg area has gotten to be over priced in general.

« First trip to Sonoma »

Seven of us stayed at Best Western Dry Creek Inn for four nights to enjoy wine tasting in Sonoma. The location is central for wine tasting, dining and shopping. The beds are super comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the gas fire pit in the evenings, recapping our adventures of the day and chatting with other wine lovers from across the country. The room rate was a good value and included breakfast, with some hot items. There is a restaurant on site and a local market with prepared deli items within walking distance. The hotel is close enough to the coast for a day trip to Bodega Bay, etc. If you are handicapped I recommend asking for a room on the side with the elevator.

« Best Western Dry Creek »

I stayed here back in September - as a recommendation from a family member. The hotel is very nice, staff very friendly and helpful, has a breakfast. Room was very clean and the surroundings were nice. There are 2 parts - the standard rooms and then rooms with a fireplace. The standard room price was a bit high for being a Best Western, since I stayed at the Best Western in Petaluma also and it was basically the same room - (just a bit nicer but not worth another $100 a night nicer). Also getting here was a bit confusing as if you are using a navigation system (Google Maps) there is an W. Dry Creek Road - which is 1 exit before this and it leads to the Madrona Manor. Not good to be lost at night time. When I called the hotel the desk clerk told me how to get to the hotel. She said that they have that problem a lot. Should have said something in the confirmation or on the web page. Oh and since I paid ahead of time through TripAdvisor - there is an additional charge of $4.39 for some hotel phone/internet charge - that the front desk said was automatic and that third party booking don't charge for it. Nice, clean hotel but don't know if I'd stay there again due to the cost of the room.

    « Great location! »

We've been staying at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn for several years now. You can't beat the location for restaurants, close-by wineries and easy access. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, clean, and have all that we need for the short time that we stay in the room. The 3-star rating is for the downward quality of the breakfast and "concierge" services. It was always a nice perk to have the breakfast included in the price of the room, but with our last stay, the breakfast did not vary - they have an egg serving that is shaped for an omelet, but nothing to put in it if you don't eat bacon or sausage. You can put individualized packets of "salsa" on it. They used to have cheese to put in the omelet, but not anymore. By the third day, we couldn't do the same breakfast again of granola, yogurt, and breakfast breads. When we asked the front desk for recommendations of wineries and restaurants, they couldn't tell us very much. They knew less about the area than we did...we usually like to get local recommendations and experience new venues based on these discussions. They just direct you to a sheet that lists restaurants in the area. Not very customer friendly. The price of the rooms have risen 25% since we started staying there, and we will have to explore other hotel options in the future. It's a great hotel for a stop and go trip, and knowing in advance where you want to go!

    « Good Best Western »

We went to a wedding at Mayacama and stayed at the Dry Creek Inn. It was one of the recommended hotels by the wedding party. The only negative was the 2-day minimum and our inability to be able to drive to Healdsburg from the Peninsula on Friday night. The check in was smooth, and the room was large and pleasant. My wife really liked the fireplace.

This was an excellent choice. Would stay here again. Very nice rooms and outside facilities ( fire pits, sitting areas). Easy access , Hope to visit again soon. There is a lack of public transportation.

« Lovely property at a great rate »

My sister and I planned a quick visit to Healdsburg to do a little California wine on the way north. This hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel is clean and very well-appointed. The location is very convenient to the highway and also to the lovely downtown and Healdsburg wine rooms. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and well set-up. Staff members were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Undoubtedly the nicest and cleanest Best Western I have ever stayed in. Will gladly return!

« Best deal, best location, better than any Best Western »

Great choice, proximity to wineries, quaint small town feel in Healdsburg. Glad we stumbled upon this place. Recommend room in Villa Toscana. Close to dining, shopping, 15 minute walk to downtown & Costeax's bakery.

    5
« Great place to stay in Healdsburg! »

We loved the Dry Creek Inn - everything about it. The rooms are great, the beds are comfortable, and the outside common space is wonderful. Your location near downtown worked well for us! We will definitely be back!

« Consistenly a great hotel for location and price »

Fourth year we have stayed here. Excellent location right off of Highway 101 and many wineries within 10 minutes in just about any given direction (if not closer)! When traveling with 3 persons, we have no choice but to stay in the older building with two Queens so we have a little more road noise, but rooms are always clean and comfortable. The newer building, which has "nicer amenities" according to the front desk clerk, only has King rooms available, but they also have patios overlooking the courtyard below, so if you can swing it, try and book one of the rooms "in the newer building." Regardless of room, they serve a very nice breakfast, which includes a few hot items (eggs and sausage or bacon ... it varies), along with cold cereal, hot cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast and assorted pastries. Popular hotel for wedding parties so book early if you know your dates!

    3
    « Great Room »

We had a great room with air. It was large and comfortable. It was a top end room. The faculties and atmosphere of the hotel were lacking. The location is too far from the town square to walk. I would happily pay a premium to be on the square. If I didn't need to leave the room it was great. I expected cleaner facilities.

    « Healdsburg delight »

We enjoyed our stay here on October 5th in the Villa Toscana section. Our clean and quiet (which we requested) room was relaxing. It was warm enough to sunbathe at the pool. Only one of the two pools was heated. After enjoying an incredible dinner in town, I thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi in our suite. My two recommendations would be that a larger TV was needed for the room. I would have preferred the TV sitting atop the dresser vs sitting above the fireplace. The distance and small size of the TV made it difficult to read titles under news stories. The only other suggestion would be smaller pillows. My neck is still bothering me due to the heighth of the pillow. A lot of hotels offer softer and smaller size pillows to allow guests a choice. Side note: breakfast is included in the price. We checked it out but decided to go to our favorite place called Cousteau. We only live an hour away in Sausalito but we like to spend the night when we have consumed wine. We will stay here again BUT I will bring my pillow from home.

Nice property, it looks nicer than your standard BW hotel. Beds were comfortable and rooms well decorated. Pool and jacuzzi were convenient. I would stay here again, good value for the area which can be expensive at other hotels.

« Villa Toscana makes all the difference »

Review update: 4 stars for the Villa Toscana room and for the way that Best Western handled our last stay. A few months ago, we had a terrible experience in one of the Casa Siena rooms. However, the manager reached out afterwards, and offered us a stay in one of the (nicer) Villa Toscana rooms. We recently had a chance to use the gift certificate. The two buildings offer an entirely different experience. Our 2nd-floor Villa Toscana room was quiet, restful, and had a mini balcony. We enjoyed keeping the door open and listening to the water feature in the courtyard. A sound system piped music into the bathroom (which had a blazingly bright skylight), and even the toiletries were nicer. We appreciate the way that management made our first experience right. We would consider staying again- on the Villa Toscana side.

    « Don't Stay Here!!!! »

There room key did not work directly after check in. When I went back to the front desk, I asked to speak with the manager about the problem. The manager was incredible rude to me and questioned how long I had the key, he wanted to check if the key was really not working and he was holding the new key over my hand without releasing it, as in a kind of keep-away gesture. He refused to compensate me for the inconvenience and stated he would only compensate me if the quality of the room was in question and he did not consider the room key part of the quality of the room. Then he followed me to my room to see if the new key worked. He was literally behind me and I could hear him sighing. I was uncomfortable after this happened and I wished I did not have to stay there the whole night.

« Pet friendly and affordable for the area »

We have stayed here several times it is an affordable option for the area the staff is friendly and includes breakfast. Rooms are large and comfortable, but you will need to drive to town as it is not located near the center of Healdsburg.

    5
    « Personal »

Very clean, comfortable, hotel. A favorite place for us to stay in Healdsburg. Breakfast is always more than enough to start the day. Room is clean and comfotrable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Look forward to our next visit!

    1
    « Appalling »

I can't explain how this hotel has received any moderately favourable reviews. It is right next to a highway, the layout is such that every conversation in the parking lot or hallway and every passing vehicle is 100% audible in your room. The facilities have the feeling of being built with paper mâché. You are in for a long night if you stay here.

    3
« Relatively Affordable Hotel Option for Healdsburg »

Hotels in Healdsburg can be very expensive. Although this hotel was not inexpensive it was relatively affordable for Healdsburg so we stayed here. If you have been to a Best Western you know what to expect. We stayed in the newer building and I would recommend this as the design is nicer. Our room was large, had a fireplace, mini-refrigerator and a balcony. The balcony overlooking the interior courtyard was nice. We had a very quick check in. Breakfast is included although it is typical of this type of hotel chain, not my favorite. The breakfast area had a nice courtyard area where you could eat outside in addition to the interior room. Pool was OK, there are at least two that we saw. The hotel is right off the highway with very easy access. The hotel is located outside of town. There is a nice paved trail that leads to the town and we walked there everyday. It took about 20 minutes to walk to town. The first night we walked back after dinner but opted to walk on the road instead of the trail - not a good option as the road is not lit and we ended up walking in the pitch black until we thought of using the flashlight on our phone to see. The second night we drove. Check out was quick.

    « Wine Region Visiting »

I cannot really think of anything positive to say about this hotel, other than maybe the cost. It is located a good 35 minute walk from the town of Healdsburg, with nothing really very close. The room was shabby, tired and not particularly clean. The breakfast was a shambles - a complete and utter free for all with no particularly good choices of food, except maybe the waffles! The staff were not very helpful or friendly at check-in.The grounds were quite attractive and there are two swimming pools. Wouldn't stay there again, although as said, the price compared with a lot of Healdsburg hotels was reasonable, but it wasn't good value.

    « don't stay here »

What a farce...Brian at "reception" needs training...he was unprofessional and hardly pleasant...did not confirm how many nights we were booked, or told us anything about the hotel except the free breakfast. Mistakenly, someone in my party only booked us for 1 night, instead of 2, in the "fanciest" part...Tuscan rooms...little more than an expensive hotel...cheap furnishings...a skylight in the bathroom that woke us up, ugly "art". We were in Calistoga having a massage, and they called, starting at 2pm, that we had only one night, and handled our stuff, and moved us out of the room, leaving a charger, that a very unfriendly and uncourteous handyman found for us at the request of another nice woman employee. DONT STAY HERE!

« Spacous room, well maintained property »

The location was right off of the freeway but the room was quiet. There is a walking path that lead to downtown shops and restaurants in less than a 20-minute walk. Breakfast room was large with lots of choices. I was able to do a load of laundry, no charge for washer or dryer! The grounds were well maintained.

    4
« Great Staff, Wonderful Conference Space, and Good Rooms! »

I had a group of about 40 people that stayed at this hotel for a conference. The space was great, including a courtyard area just outside the conference room--perfect for people to step outside and see daylight between presentations. The hotel rooms were clean and nicer than I usually have when I book a hotel for a personal trip. The best part was how wonderful the staff was. They always had our room ready early, and kept the space secured after we were finished. They didn't complain or push us out when we ran a little long. Sarah, who I coordinated with to organize the event, was absolutely amazing. She answered all my questions, was always super flexible, and was available when I needed her. We received great room rates and the conference space was free of charge because of the number of folks we had staying at the hotel. All in all it was a wonderful experience. The only reason I'm rating it "very good" instead of "excellent" is because breakfast didn't blow me away (though they did have bacon!).

« Great location but could use a remodel »

We stayed at the hotel as part of a wedding party. The location is great-within walking distance of several restaurants and wineries. We upgraded the room but even so, it was quite small and much in need of a remodeling, especially the bathroom. Prices are very high in the wine country during the summer so we were prepared for that. Breakfast comes with the room fee which was nice.

    « Hotel review »

The hotel was very good. We really enjoyed all the seating areas around the hotel- many by the fireplaces. Also enjoyed having a fireplace in the room. We would have preferred having a bar that was close to the rooms. This hotel's restaurant/ bar was across the parking lot from a gas station- not very inviting!

    « two seniors »

We stayed here for our wine trip. Perfect location. Right off the freeway and close to many wineries. We're best western members and received a discount for our stay. I would suggest staying at the Tuscan Bldg...much nicer. Breakfast was very good. Nice selection of food.

« Great find in Wine country »

Were very positively surprised about the whole appearance of the hotel and the grounds. Did not expect this from a BW facility. Great room and great bed. The location was great with respect to easy access upon arrival as well as getting to downtown Healdsburg and to find nearby well known wineries.

    3
« Beware of Billing (Rate of Room) »

I was over-charge based on my reservation and it took a little effort to correct the hotel charge. However, each time I was at the front desk I kept hearing the same issue of being over-charge or incorrect billing.

    « Wine country sleepover »

Solid hotel for a couple of nights of stay when visiting the wine country. Easy to find, located near the highway exit, free parking and other expected amenities. Rooms were large and clean, breakfast was OK. Great location if you have a car, but If you want to leave the rental parked, do bypass taxi service (limited) and use one of the great uber drivers in the area. If you want to walk to downtown Healdsburg, it would take approx 15-20 minutes.

    5
    « Dry Creek Inn »

This is one of the best kept secrets in Healdsburg. Great value, nice property, especially the Tuscan Villa. There are two pools, a large spa, and relatively close to downtown Healdsburg and right on Dry Creek road for easy access to many great wineries.

Great location, friendly staff, reasonable prices, comfortable beds and great extras like yoga, free breakfast and evening wine tastings. Lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Very close to town and to fabulous wineries.

« A competent perch in a beautiful little town »

We spent three days here just ahead of the Labor Day weekend. The hotel is a typical California-style arrangement with open walkways and three levels. Rooms are clean but dated with adequate space but a miniscule bathroom. The hotel is convenient to US 101 and is well maintained. It has a beautiful Mediterranean-style courtyard that's open to guests. Breakfast is provided in a large common room that closes promptly at 10 am and offers a variety of options. Breakfast gets crowded and chaotic. Healdsburg is worth walking around. It is a besutiful, well-tended small town, convenient to Sonoma wineries.

« Great Price for Location »

The boutique hotels are extremely expensive in Healdsburg so this is a really great alternative! The hotel is beautiful on the inside and exactly what you would expect of a Best Western on the inside -- not amazing but clean and nice. For the average person who wants to do some extraordinary wine tasting in an beautiful town with lots of great shops, this is the perfect option.

    « Close to town »

The Location was good for winery tastings, the town of Healdsburg and if you wanted to go up to the casino. Breakfast was included and access to the rooms was secure. The cost for 2 nights was less than 1 night at the hotels or B&B's in town. Only a little more than a mile out of town. Unfortunately, the air conditioner never worked! It was set at 64 with the fan going all the time on high, yet it was cooler outside at 82 degrees with a breeze. The way the rooms were situated, you couldn't get a breeze through the patio door. The pillows were pretty hard, as was the bed. We left the room for not even 15 min and housecleaning came in, made the bed and put up new towels. I'm sure that's all they did, because we were not gone long enough to actually "clean" the room. With the room being too warm and stuffy, we decided to go for a swim. We went to the smaller pool that was nice and clean with no one in it, but it didn't have a Jacuzzi and it wasn't heated. So we went to the main pool, which was dirty ...... literally, you could see the dirt at the bottom of the pool; the Jacuzzi was even worse. It was all sudsy, which I thought was maybe from someone's bathing suit that detergent didn't get rinsed out of properly, but after just a few minutes in the water, we started to itch and had to get out. The Jacuzzi in our building was chained off. The next morning we went down for our complimentary breakfast, but unless you wanted continental, the rest was pretty sad. The eggs were dry and looked like they came out of machine; the oatmeal was so watery, it wasn't even appealing. Can't say we'll be staying there again any time soon.

« Average Hotel with Above Average Rates »

Fairly basic hotel with basice rooms which are clean. Building is very cheaply built thus noise can be a problem from neighbors, the gas station next door and truck traffic on the freeway. Friendly staff with decent basic breakfast. Really no reason to go out of your way to stay at this hotel unless you get a decent rate.

    « Business visit »

Arrived after 23:30 at Hotel. Spacious room with fireplace, clean comfortable. Good night rest, relatively quiet area. The breakfast room is very busy with a lot of movement. Basic selection of pre-cooked foods, could improve here. There is a pool which is a plus. Fitness room is very basic. All in all the hotel is ideally situated for both the business traveller and sightseeing visitors with a lot of nearby attractions.

« Quaint with an Italian Villa feel »

Our stay was just an overnight visit on the way to SF. Located off the highway, we found this little getaway just what we needed. Greeted by a friendly staff, the property was older but well maintained. Our room was in the Villa Toscana building and had a pretty courtyard view with a calming fountain. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and cozy fireplace. The complimentary breakfast included the usual bacon, sausage, and 'make it yourself' waffles. It got pretty busy, so get there early! The pools were clean and offered two options. Located within a short drive to Coppola Winery, this was a perfect stop. Overall, a nice visit.

This hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The breakfast area and food were both great. This is an older hotel that has been nicely refurbished. The only issue is the noisy window-type air conditioner. Most hotels have these and We wish they could be replaced with something like forced air.

« Good Hotel for the Money »

Stayed here for a destination wedding as this was one of the hotels that the bride provided. Hotel is ok. Rooms were very roomy and clean and bed was very comfortable. The hotel provides a continental breakfast each morning with the usual toaster for toast, waffle waker, cereal, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fruit, etc?..certainley nothing you would find in a nicer hotel The grounds and buildings were decorated like an Italian villa. Very nice pools. Property was very well maintained and landscaped. Only issue is that there is no bar in the hotel and the restaurant next door only had wine and beer and was basically a dinner. To get any type of liquor in a restaurant thou have to go into Healdsburg. Only reason stayed here was this was the only hotel available that the brides provided. Hotel was ok.

« Nice hotel for the price »

Nice rooms (albeit AC did not work well) with gas fireplace, clean and several nice pool areas gave this hotel a 4, especially when price compared to other hotels. Simple breakfast and wifi is included so no complaints. Near Healdsburg which is a fun town. Would return.

Really all was smooth and efficient, except for the breakfast craziness. Pillows were dreadful though. Locations good for wine country touring and close to fine dining. Easy access from freeway, quiet location and dog friendly.

« Service, Service, and more Service! »

This place was booked with +7 wedding parties. I thought, oh no. WELL, it is great to be wrong! Each and every time I asked a question or needed/wanted "something" the hotel staff was on-it in seconds. I had asked an events coordinator to see if towels could be brought to a hot tub. The staff had the towels there almost faster than I could get back to the tub! and I was NOT a part of the wedding events.

« Older unit, well appointed »

Nicely furnished and recently updated. Outside of building unattractive and painted "baby crap" mustard orange and interior walls have no sound proofing. Forced to hear "all" activities in neighboring rooms. Rooms are dark with low voltage lighting. Unable to read a magazine so bring flashlights if you want to read. Water extremely hard and little water pressure in the bath/shower.

« Great stay but not without issues. »

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western ? Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg, CA from August 9th to August 18th, 2016 during our wine country vacation. We chose the newer building called Villa Toscana. Its architecture is the Italian villa style with each room having a view of a center courtyard. The building and rooms are very nicely decorated and kept clean. Each morning there was a complimentary hot breakfast which was very good although very similar in food offerings each day over the entire stay. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Of course like any hotel property not everything was perfect. The doors going into each room where in need of lubrication, i.e. squeaked loudly each time you opened and closed them. The bath towels were one of our biggest issues. They often had large amounts of loose lint in them which ended up everywhere on your body, and I mean everywhere! If they didn't have loose lint they were the consistency of a loofa sponge. This Best Western does not have each guest write down the license number of the vehicle they are driving when checking in. While normally this wouldn't be an issue, if you lose or misplace your keys or remote start fob (OK I did), and someone kindly turns them into the office, there is no way to determine which guest they might belong to. Also, mentioning at the front desk that you have lost or misplaced your keys or remote fob will not cause them to make a mental connection, after someone has already turned in keys or a remote fob, and ask if possibly they are yours. At the time of our checking out no one asked how our stay was which I found unusual especially considering the length of time we were there. Despite these few items we did enjoy our stay, which with a little effort by Best Western, would have been more pleasant.

« BW DRY CREEK INN AN OK PLACE TO STAY ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE ON A BUDGET »

My dad and I stayed at the BW Dry Creek Inn on our trip to Healdsburg recently. Our accommodations were ok. We stayed in the older, motel part, not the newer more expensive part of this establishment. Pros and cons are as follows: Pros: -Good free breakfast, access to the nice outdoor lounge area and a fireplace on cool mornings -Great location right off of 101 and Dry Creek Road exit -Great people behind the desk, they were very helpful -Pretty good restaurant right next door when you don't feel like driving to one in town, serving basic comfort foods, sandwiches, chicken, steak, spaghetti, the usual all American fare plus beer and wine -comfortable, if very high off the ground, beds -free morning newspaper -free 24 hour coffee, especially good in the early mornings when it was quite fresh! -wifi was good -ac was on a constant mode that really worked for us with the surrounding air temp CONS: -no bar in tub for seniors to grab onto, slippery surface -quite noisy, could hear phone conversation in next room and in corridor noise was very loud also. Seemed to calm down at night which was good but very noisy during the daytime -bathroom was quite small. Lots of room in sink area, a lot of it seemed a waste of good space -no place to smoke (my dad likes cigars) Lots of cigarette butts by the fire pit, looks like people smoke there although I don't think you are supposed to, maybe after dark? -no room for table in the room. There was a desk and a HUGE chair for sitting, but a table would have been nice. Just not enough room I guess. I found it very hard to find a place to put my things Overall it was a fine place to rest your head at night but nothing special. If you are looking for nicer, and more expensive, accommodations you might try the newer part of the hotel on the other side of the office. I would recommend this hotel for those looking for a place who don't care if it is fancy and just want a basic place to stay at a good price (this is the older motel side, not the newer side).

« Great location, super friendly staff, wonderful town. »

2 humans and 2 dogs.We stayed for 4 days. Loved Healdsburg. The hotel is located a mile from town. And Big John's Market a block away.. Nice trail to walk the dogs just down the road. Our room was good size and the staff was supper friendly and very accommodating.

    « Wine Country Stopover »

Attractive property. Check-in/out personnel appeared disinterested. No information offered about the area. Traditional continental breakfast but expected better given the cost of the room. Breakfast room crowded and noisy. Mattress very comfortable.

    « Still Pretty Nice »

This is our fourth time staying at the Dry Creek Inn and they continue do a good job. This is the first time we have stayed in the "old" Siena building and it was very nice. Apparently it was recently remodeled. And given the price difference, we will be staying here again. The rooms in the "new" building have a fireplace and Jacuzzi which we never use, so why pay extra. Breakfast is typical Continental, but eating on the patio somehow makes it special.

    « Wonderful! »

Stayed for a family wedding in Napa. Quaint town. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. 2 pools, well maintained. We had a basic room, but it served our needs. Other family had a suite. Only difference was deep, jetted bathtub/separate shower and balcony.

    4
    « Easy acess »

This wasn't my first stay at this hotel but the location off off the freeway and a resturaunt across the parking lot is always a plus. Plenty of parking also. There are also some really nice vineyards within minutes of this hotel!

« It would be difficult to remember... »

When you spend a night (overpriced!! Because a lack of availability in the area..) is difficult to make it unforgettable...basic level of comfort and cleanliness. Old structure that needs some renovation. Another place (like many others, unfortunately) where the 'free' breakfast is way away from a decent one. Please, do it right or do not do it!

« Very nice big rooms, poor breakfasts »

My husband and I stayed here while we were in Sonoma for a wedding. The 4 stars are for the rooms which are spacious, have very comfortable beds, nice big bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs and separate showers, TVs, and electric fireplaces. The wifi worked well on the rooms. There are 2 small outdoor pools which are clean and have comfy lounge chairs. The only downside to our experience here was the poor breakfasts. So I recommend getting breakfast elsewhere. The breakfast room becomes a zoo and the food is poor quality.

    4

Great location for touring the area wineries both in Sonoma and Napa. Near town of Healdsburg for dining and shopping. Full breakfast included. Nice outdoor sitting area, easy parking outside your room.

    « As expected! »

After reading a ton of reviews, we booked a Villa Toscana room. While it is definitely not a fancy hotel, it's exactly like you'd expect from a "nicer" Best Western. Spacious rooms, clean beds, nothing terribly wrong. The bathrooms are outdated and small, but fine. Don't expect a 4 or 5 star hotel and you'll be pleased with your stay as we were :) Great location and friendly service. Even a cute courtyard to hang out in if the weather's nice!

    3
« Good location for wine tasting »

We were initially disappointed with our room as it didn't look as nice as the ones on the website. The original building is older and needs renovation. Our room with two queens was large enough and clean but faced the busy street. I would only come back if I booked a king room in the newer building which has a courtyard with a jacuzzi and a fireplace. The fire pit was a nice touch. The breakfast is standard and would be economical if you traveled with kids but is nothing special. The hotel staff were polite and courteous. We found the best thing about this hotel is it's location to wineries. Overall, this is an affordable, decent place to stay while visiting Healdsburg and the wine region.

    4
« Great place for the price »

You can't beet the price in the Healdsburg area. It is one of the better Best Westerns I have ever stayed in. The Villa Toscana building is much nicer then Casa Siena bldg. Only issue I have is that every time I stay there has been some maintenance problem with the bathrooms. The last time the jets in the tub would not turn off and the toilet was difficult to flush. They were able to turn off the jets but not fix the problem. Staff is nice and friendly.

    « Great Location! »

We stayed at the Best Western Dry Creek in order to have a great jumping off place to the Dry Creek and Russian River Valley appellations while not breaking the bank. The inn was convenient for me as a runner, as I was able to access Dry Creek Road and take a nice run past a number of vineyards (Mauritson is a good turnaround point for a 5+ mile run). My wife and I are also walkers, and we were able to walk to downtown restaurants and tasting rooms by accessing the greenway through the park off of Grove Street (just over a one mile walk to most spots - 1.2 to Healdsburg SHED, for example). Our room was very comfortable (my wife is still raving about the bed and how well she slept) and well equipped (coffee maker, hair dryer, closet space in armoire). For us, the wireless connection was tricky, but we figured it out (a quick call to the front desk might have sped that up). The inn provides an adequate serve yourself breakfast similar to what you see at many similar chains (bake your own waffles, eggs premade, sausage, cereals, oatmeal, breads, yogurt, etc.), which is available from 6-10am. The rooms do have outside entrances, and first floor rooms have drive up parking.

« The best Best Western! »

Ok, straight to the point. Ask for Room 212. Corner room. Two big windows on two walls. King bed. Quiet--not adjacent to stairs or elevator. Not a huge room but felt like a penthouse, with those big windows. The two pools are both great, liked the non-heated one better. Seemed as if the adults were at that one, the kids/families were in the bigger one. Loved the white shutters on the windows in the rooms, nice change from hotel drapes. Very decent breakfast, if it's not too cool/warm there's seating outside by a fire pit. Ample easy parking, not far from downtown but too far to comfortably walk. Only problem was with AC but if we kept it cranked...and note there's a timer on the AC unit---make sure it's set for the full time so you don't return to your room and it's been off automatically.

« Tourist trap with hidden fees and surly staff »

Stayed here during high tourist season. While waiting to check in, several guests were complaining about various room and bill issues, and the staff seemed unable or unwilling to solve any of them. Once the frustrated guests left, they would comment negatively on them and roll their eyes. Definitely not a happy place. Checked in and given a room directly above the event center. Lovely balcony with table that was unfortunately worthless due to freeway noise. No one mentioned any of this to us until we lugged the suitcases up the narrow staircase to the room. We returned to the unhappy check in area to inquire about events and potential noise issues. We were initially told not to worry and dismissed. With some prodding, we eventually convinced someone to get up and check on events for us. They checked the first night only, and told us there was a meeting, but those tended to be quiet. They had to go back to check the hours of the meeting. It seemed like they just wanted us to go away. The bottom right hand side of our room door was bent backwards enough to let in sunlight, as if it had been kicked in at some point in the recent past. Later that night, there was a lot of noise outside the room. Several large groups of loud people had occupied the common area and were drinking. The next day, a different set of folks unloaded a "shade tent" from their truck and took over the entire area at 8am. Breakfast was good, but it was very difficult to get a seat. The room is not big enough to handle all of the guests. When we checked out, I was expecting to just turn in the key, but Best Western had a surprise for us - 70+ dollars in fees and taxes to add to the bill. This included local taxes at 30 a night, and a resort fee (ha ha) and a few other nickel and dime charges. All of the sudden our 200 dollar plus tax room nightly rate had jumped to 300. How nice. The staff was unable to print a copy of the bill for me to see, so they said they would email me a copy. We paid the bill and got our email a few hours later. On the way out the door, someone mentioned the free wine tasting the BW offered. We were surprised to hear about that. There are some nice things about this facility. Although it is located right off the freeway, it is close to the wineries. The room itself, minus the useless balcony, was also nice, and the breakfast was much more than the common carb fest. However, we left this place feeling as though the primary motivation is to maximize the amount of money they can take from each guest, while doing little or nothing to make people feel welcome. We believe that potential guests should know the real cost of the room before reserving, so that they can better judge whether it is truly worth it to stay there. In addition, the staff acted as though they were under siege and seemed unhappy to be there. We stayed at two other places in Sonoma/Mendocino during our trip. One a basic hotel room, the other a very high end suite on a beautiful property. Both were privately owned, and we were treated like welcome guests instead of unwanted pests. When we checked out of these other places, the cost of the room was exactly what was quoted. We stayed at BW because my wife used to stay with them in the past, and remembered the quality and value of her visits. We were both quite surprised and disappointed in our experience here.

    « A fantastic best Western experience »

The rooms were quite nice as far as best westerns go- there was an italien theme throughout the hotel. two pools and multiple hot tubs. the breakfast was however very standard east coast drab- if this hotel could upgrade it a little it would be an amazong place to stay in Healdsburg.

« On Par with the Great European Hotels »

Last year, my wife and I went to Italy and stayed at several wonderful hotels. We were impressed then. I did not expect The Best Western Dry Creek to be as fantastic as it is. No sooner did we arrive when the concierge informed us of free wine pouring from one of the local vineyards. The room was first rate. The pool was large and warm. I was very pleased with our stay.

    « This gem is a must-stay! »

If you're going to Sonoma Wine country, this gem is a must-stay! Beautiful landscaping, courtyard, fire pit and sparkling pool. The Tuscany style architecture is so charming, I felt like I had left the US. Room was larger than we needed, so that's great, and breakfast included. I have to give my beaming compliments to Sarah Krug for her assistance setting us up with an amazing wine tour. The limo service to exquisite wineries were fantastic. Her recommendations were perfect! We will definitely be staying here again!

« Great casual deal in wine country »

Best rates in a comfortable wine country environment very close to wineries and downtown Healdsburg. Take day trips to Sonoma Coast, Russian River, Alexander & Napa Valley; return home to Healdsburg to relax and dine in style. Great casual deal!

« The event room could be noisy »

There was an event room in the Villa Toscana building, and our room was right next to the event room. The walls are thin and you can hear everything that's going on in the event room. One of the nights we've stayed got really loud and we were unable to sleep. The staffs did not inform us about it in advance at check in, and we were so upset by this.

    « Wonderful stay! »

We loved the Dry Creek Inn! Stayed in 5 other hotels during this trip to CA. Each one was lacking something. This one had everything we could want. Great location. Clean, nicely decorated rooms. Free breakfast! Two pools. Very pretty outdoor areas. Guest laundry. Fridge in room. Everything was perfect.

    4
« Great value and decent location »

This hotel is a very good value. The location is great if you want to drive out to explore any of the nearby valleys. You can walk on a nice little trail to Healdsburg plaza but it is about a mile. I would definitely stay here again. Our room on the 2nd floor of the Tuscan building was very quiet and reasonably comfortable. I was not too impressed with the breakfast thought.

« Nice stay in Healdsburg »

The hotel is in a nice location. Right off the freeway and a mile on a nice walking path into town. The room was nice, king bed and soaker tub. The shower is a little small. Breakfast was fine, though very crowded. They have fire pits and a nice pool area. Probably pretty cheap compared to other area hotels. Healdsburg has great restaurants and a cute downtown area. We had a very nice stay.

    « July 7 through 10th, 2016 »

We had a good time. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but OK. There was what we believe to be a light shaft in the bathroom, which gave light with the electric light off, but couldn't be "turned off" so sleeping in with it didn't work. Minor weirdness.

    5
« Excellent hotel for value »

Nice rooms, pleasant exteriors. Friendly staff. Pool, spa, steam room and sauna. Easy access to Dry Creek Valley wineries and downtown Healdsburg (bring bikes and use bike trail to downtown - ask how to find).

    « We had a good time »

We were quite pleased with our stay. The room was big, clean, had a refrigerator and coffee maker, and the AC was working fine. The sink area had a lot of space to put down your own things. The bathroom had a good size and the shower was running fine. The wireless internet connection worked fine as well. We had a room in the top floor and even though we did not have any view it was quiet and nobody could walk on top of our room. The Tuscany style architecture gave the place some nice touch and we especially liked the outside sitting area with the open fire place, even though it was warm enough to do without it. The breakfast was ok and better than in many other American hotels but certainly nothing compared to what you would get in Tuscany. The check-in and out were quick and fast and the hotel personnel was very helpful with a recommendation for a restaurant in the downtown area. There is a nice path to downtown and even though the first 200 yards are along the main street you soon escape and can walk along the little creek to downtown which takes about 20 minutes.

    « "Winna getaway" »

The hotel is a little older, but the room was clean and the staff was helpful. Healdsburg is an adorable village and made an ideal to begin our Sonoma wine tasting experience. We highly recommend that you leave some time in your schedule to enjoy and dine in the town.

« Poor value, extremely loud, odd flooding bathroom, ants »

This was one of our least restful hotel stays in recent memory. It was extremely loud- there must not be much soundproofing. We could hear the conversations of people walking by (as well as the sound of rolling luggage), and we could hear every word of our neighbor's TV. People walking up the stairs near us sounded like a herd of baby elephants. The shutters didn't block out the light from the walkway. We each woke up half a dozen times. The bathroom was odd- ADA accessible, which is nice, but the floor was sloped away from the shower, guaranteeing the formation of a lake after a shower. There were no counters so we used the TV stand outside the bathroom as a makeshift bathroom counter. We also found ants in the bed. Something bit one of us- not sure if it was an ant- hopefully it was an ant and not a bedbug. We asked for another room but we told that the hotel was completely sold out. We know it's a Best Western, and we weren't expecting luxury. But we did expect a reasonable night of rest. Breakfast was extremely uninspiring. Two men almost got in a fight over the waffle maker. At least it was free- we would have been upset if it had cost $10 as the voucher stated. We took an apple and left for town to find food. As final insult, there was a "resort fee". The best part of the hotel is its access to the freeway (very close) as well as proximity to the town center (about 1 mile away). It also had a few nice seating areas, one with a fire pit. Free wifi and a mini-friedge were also nice.

    4
« Tuscan side quite nice »

This is a comfortable place with fireplace and giant jetted tub approximately a mile and half from the Healdsburg town square. There are several swimming pools and seating in the courtyard with outdoor fireplace. We stayed for 2 nights during an unusual hot spell. The ceiling height A/C has a remote control that is difficult to figure out... while keeping the room cool it kept cycling on & off. The staff were friendly and the breakfast room is larger than other BW plus it had both indoor and outdoor seating.

    5
    « Enjoyed our stay! »

Very much enjoyed our stay. Room decor, amenities and cleanliness were excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and satisfying (included eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, cereals, fruit, yogurt) which was a great start before hitting the wineries/breweries. Some a/c issues which we hope might be corrected in their future. FYI, the hotel location is right at the freeway entrance so there is traffic noise. Overall a very enjoyable stay and so close to all the wineries and Healdsburg square.

« Best deal in Healdsburg »

We stay here every time we go to or through Healdsburg. Rooms are large and clean, pool is great for an afternoon swim. Front desk is super helpful and friendly. Stay here and spend the money you saved on all the wonderful food and wine the area has to offer!

    5
    « Quick get away! »

Lovely stay. This hotel has 2 pools and 3 spa tubs. We stayed in the Tuscan Villa building and the review is based on this building. Had a small balcony to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Multitude of great eating options as well fancy grocery stores for high end picnic needs.

    4
    « Nice Stay »

This was a nice hotel in a convenient location. We faced a minor street, so had a little bit of road noise to contend with. The TV stations did not correspond to the TV listing, and some channels were missing, but we didn't really watch TV. Internet worked, but was a little difficult to log on--particularly with Apple devices. Room was comfortable but dated, the bed a little soft for my liking. Breakfast was ordinary but sufficient. Close to highway so traveling was easy, but a 20 minute walk to town center, so a bit isolated for that purpose. All-in-all a good hotel for a fair price.

    4
    « very nice »

Although I thought it was a bit pricey to stay in a chain hotel, the hotel was lovely, clean and the reception desk was competent in giving suggestions for eating in Healdsburg. I think that the area does not call for this kind of high price chain hotel.

    1
« Did not have a good stay »

I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are visiting Healdsburg. For $300 a night, I was expecting a lot more. Our room did not have working AC (95 during the day and 80 or so at night) and no movie channels. Only half of the hotel has amenities. The "hot" tub is the same temp as the pool. Also, the wifi connection was less than one bar and I had to use my hot spot the whole time. Pretty much everything sucked. I wouldn't pay $50 to stay here, but being in wine country they charge 6 times that. Not even close to worth it.

Pros: Good location only a 4 minute drive from downtown Healdsburg and the Dry Creek wineries. Clean room, mini frig and everything worked. Free breakfast Cons: Noisy, we were on the 2nd floor and you could hear everyone that walked by your room at night and in the morning. Breakfast (powdered eggs and make your own waffles). Your being charged 2X for the location. Conclusion: Unless you really want to stay in Healdsburg, drive an extra 20 minutes and stay near Santa Rosa. Much more value for your money.

« Great location for staying and touring »

The facility was clearly built by someone with taste, then purchased and converted to a Best Western. It has two sections, the three-story Casa Siena building and the two-story Villa Toscana building. The latter is superior, with an internal courtyard that includes a hot tub and a fireplace. It is extremely quiet and soothing. There is an exterior fire pit with tables where one can bring wine and cheese and have a private party. The manager provides a one-page summary, printed on both sides, of restaurants and taverns in the area. Extremely helpful. The downtown is small and very walkable, with all kinds of shops and eateries.

« Ants in the bathroom and in the bed. »

My daughter and I attending a family wedding in Heraldsburg CA Dry Creek Best Western Inn on 06/17/2016 and 06/18/2016. Although the staff cleaning the rooms were helpful, the office staff were confused about our reservations, there were moisture ants in the bathroom, and the rugs were dirty. When office approached with the matter a young staff person was not authorized to address the situation and stated "I am sorry". For $242 a night, I was disappointed.

« Great place to stay »

We had a room with 2 queen beds which were comfortable but made for very tall people. I am 5'3" and had to jump up onto the bed...too high off the floor! The room was clean and spacious. There are usb ports on the desk for charging electronics. I had problems connecting to the internet with wifi with my iPad. I had to call tech support for help. They mentioned it was a problem with ipads. The iphone connected ok.. A "clean remote" was provided with tv rather than the one that came with the tv. Channels could only be changed by pushing the up or down button. You could not put in a number and have it changed...very frustrating to have to change one channel at a time to get where you wanted to be! The complimentary breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausgae, pancakes, waffles, cereals, muffins, bagels, bread, juices, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and tea.

« Good rooms, beware "complimentary breakfast" »

This hotel had the worst "complimentary breakfast" we have ever had. After staying at some excellent bed and breakfast establishments in Sonoma and Glen Ellen, their breakfast suffered by comparison. But it wasn't just that; the food was bad. The eggs were a frozen frisbee which were then microwaved and stored over hot water. Sausage was underdone, waffles didn't cook, coffee was from a machine which used powdered coffee. Go into Healdsburg for breakfast.

« Great location and pretty grounds »

This hotel was a perfect "home base" for a 3-day weekend in Sonoma. The central location was perfect for our trips to the Russian River, Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys for wine tasting excursions, and the close proximity to Healdsburg couldn't be beat. We booked last-minute, and this hotel was by far the best value for the location. The room was clean & quiet , bed was comfortable, the free wine tasting was a bonus, and the pool areas were pleasant. By far the best amenity was the location.

    5
« Excellent hotel near plaza »

The hotel is ideally situated and represents a great value. It is walking distance to all shops and restaurant in Sonoma Square. Rooms are spacious although have a motel feel. Breakfast is excellent and parking is very convenient. Whole Foods and CVS Pharmacy are right in front for your grocery needs.

« Great staff and grounds »

We were in town for our son's wedding in Healdsburg from June 9-13. We had the pleasure of staying at Dry Creek Inn from a Thursday to Monday, as did many of our family and guests. We had a wonderful experience, the breakfast was varied and delicious, and the room clean and lovely. We especially loved that Dry Creek Inn is pet-friendly, so that we were able to bring our Shi-Tzu, who was a participant in the wedding. We wanted to give a shout out to Brian at the front desk. He displayed excellent customer service skills and we feel that he should be commended. He was: 1. Friendly 2. Had a can-do attitude 3. Patient 4. Displayed service with a smile 5. Made guests feel important by assisting with any problems 6. Proficient with the billing Overall, we had a positive experience at the Dry Creek Inn, and recommend staying at their hotel.

    « Deluxe King »

We recently stayed at this hotel for a family gathering for a wedding. The grounds were lovely, but the rooms could use some updating and added amenities to justify the price. While the room was a decent size, the room picture showed a couch, but it was really a small love seat. The bathroom was tiny, although we appreciated that the sink and vanity were outside the bathroom. There was no closet, but there was an armoire for hanging clothes, the ironing board was hanging on the wall exposed in the vanity area. There was a small fridge under the vanity sink, but it was full of standing water. The interior halls were dark and a little scary at night. On a positive note, the breakfast room was great, and the exterior and grounds pretty. It was not a terrible experience, I was just expecting something a little nicer for the money. Maybe "deluxe" does not mean what I think it means, or maybe I'm just used to the deluxe resorts at Disney and the Hyatt.

« Lovely property but worst pillows ever »

My husband and I selected this property for its convenient location to wineries and value for money - the hotel did not disappoint on these factors. We stayed in the Tuscan wing and while the room was a bit dated, it was spacious, clean, and had a balcony (nice bonus). The pool area made you feel like you were in Italy with the tall Cyprus trees lining the area. Breakfast was standard "free" hotel fare but was made more enjoyable by being able to sit outside in the lovely surroundings. However, the overall stay was marred by our inability to get a good night's sleep because of the pillows. These were the hardest, most uncomfortable pillows I've ever encountered and the sad news was that the hotel had no other options. We tried sleeping on folded up towels but that didn't work. If you like a softer, feather pillow, I highly recommend that you either bring your own or stop by a nearby Target/TJ Maxx and buy yourself pillows for your stay.

    « Fabulous Bed! »

It's always a challenge, when booking a room in a medium priced hotel chain (like Best Western) - that serves complimentary 'fast food' breakfast - to know whether or not they will have a good bed. Well, THIS hotel has one - great bed - VERY comfortable! Breakfast was, of course, as expected - lousy. However, because this hotel is located very close to Downtown Healdsburg, there is no shortage of excellent dining spots. We will stay here again.

    2
« Not up to Best Western Standards »

The rooms were poorly lighted. I was very disappointed in the lack of hotel computer. They had one hanging from the ceiling that wasn't very accessible. Overall a good value for the money but needs some upgrades and improvements.

    2
    « Not so impressed »

Room was good size and clean. Colour scheme of hotel , being yellow and red is pretty horrible. Breakfast was rubbish. Paper plates , plastic forks and food to match. Front desk weren't that friendly. I would like to say it was value for money but it wasn't. Could not recommend. Town is a 5 minute drive away and is wonderful.

« Great Place To Stay In Sonoma Wine Country »

This is a great place to stay while visiting Healdsburg and enjoying all that Sonoma County has to offer. My sister got married May of 2016 and a majority of the guests stayed at the Best Western and everything went great and there were absolutely no complaints from anyone. The Tuscan side which was recently remodeled had terrific amenities including a beautiful bathroom, fireplace, flat screen TV and a very comfortable bed. For the price point and the location I cannot recommend this place enough. They also have a great pool, sauna and hot tub to relax in after a long day of wine tasting.

    5
« Wonderful stay at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn »

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn. The hotel staff was very helpful from check-in to check-out. Our room in the new Tuscan building was well-appointed, comfortable and quiet. The hotel grounds - pools, sitting areas and patios are an added bonus. And free yoga several times a week! Awesome stay!

    4
« Big Motel, Room Fine, Shower Not »

My wife and I stayed two nights here while attending the Healdsburg Jazz festival. We found the room spacious and comfortable. It was well equipped, except that there was no electrical plug within range of the only desk in the room! The shower was a train wreck -- pressure was weak and uneven, and it went back and forth from very hot to very cold. Parking is barely adequate -- when we returned from a concert around 11 pm, there were only two spots left, and one of them was blocked by shipping crates. I found service at check-in rude, better at check-out. Our room was pretty far from the highway, so the only noise was some pretty drunk folks coming in late and tromping around.

    3
    « Overpriced »

The most recent addition to the hotel was built more than five years ago, but it really didn't make it any more competitive, quality wise. It did add some more rooms to give them a larger number, but the room costs were much too high for what you got. The morning breakfast was almost exactly what has been available at 60% of the other hotels I've visited in the last two years. It seems that they think if they give you those little frozen cinnamon rolls that are about 2.25" in diameter, the breakfast is supposed to be awesome. It wasn't. Everything else they have is almost exactly what I get at a Hampton Inn for about 35% of the cost of this place. Not a great location, except it is near a local cafe, which is pretty great (see review) for breakfast. But downtown is over a mile walk, it's pretty close to Hwy 101, and there are no decent finer restaurants closer than downtown.

    5
    « Fantastic stay »

We were somewhat concerned given we had issues with our stay at the Sheraton Petaluma (a hotel 3 times as expensive) previously. Our check in was prompt and friendly. Our room clean and ready as advertised. A nice feature of the hotel is it's convenience to the downtown Healdsburg area; we like to walk so the mile walk was not an issue...there is a great path that keeps you off the street. The hotel has a few places for you to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather. Well managed property.

    4
« Very nice, but not quiet »

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast was good, but the construction of the hotel does not make this a quiet stay. I would recommend the hotel, but would inform that they need to expect that they will hear people walking in the hallways.

    3
    « Cost effective option »

Let's just start by saying there are two classes of rooms here. Ones that don't feel like the Best Western, and ones that do. Your experience will vary based on that. I've stayed her a couple of times before but my most recent was for a wedding. The staff was friendly and the room was decent. It also was the only hotel in town besides the Travelodge (don't ever stay there) that wasn't $600/night. If you're looking for more than just a place to lay your head, this isn't it. If you've got a lot going on and you're going to spend minimal time in the room, this place works.

  • 4
« Nice pet friendly hotel »

This hotel is in a nice setting in wine country. My pup was given a "doggy bag" (toys and poop bags) on arrival, which he loved. We did have one problem - we needed an accessible room, but they said they didn't have one. The bathroom door was too narrow for a walker, so the desk upgraded us to the Tuscany part of the hotel at the same price. Wonderful, caring staff.

    2
    « Last Resort »

This place is a desperate, last resort destination. They offer nothing of quality and have no concept of customer service. We checked in late on the evening of our stay, and my wife asked if there was an "up-grade" available. The front desk person said yes for $35.00. My wife replied that it is not unusal to get offered an up-grade when checking in late in the day, as that room will just go unused anyway. The motel clerk replied, 'Well you are just a STANDARD Best Western member, we only give upgrades to premium members, we stopped giving upgrades to other members a long time ago. OK, got it! There is a "resort fee" added onto the bill is ridiculous. The motel advertises a room rate then adds on a "resort fee" which is just another way of increasing the room charge; you get NOTHING for this charge. The free breakfast is a waste of time. The egg omlettes were cold and inedible, the bacon broken into small fragments so that you had to eat bits and pieces. The bacon was so greasy that it was inedible anyway. No effort is made to present an appealing meal, the motel is just trying to "fill a square" of offering a free breakfast. iF YOU CAN'T DO IT RIGHT, DON'T DO IT AT ALL!! All in all, a sad representation of the Best Western product. We won't stay again!!

    5
« The best location and they LOVE dogs! »

Beautiful rooms, 1 mile from downtown and all the shops. Big John's Market 1/2 block from hotel. The BEST market I have ever been in, and I am a world traveller. Two pools, outdoor fire pit and lounge area. Can't wait to return! Go out of their way to put you in the room of your choice. First floor for dogs, end of row.

    « Adequate accommodation »

3 night stay for family wedding in the area. Room clean. Affordable for that pricey area. Pools nice. Air conditioning dated so a bit noisy when used. Front staff great, helpful. Breakfast very generic, need several new toasters please. All in all an ok visit but not long term comfortable

    5
« Great place to stay »

We were extremely satisfied with the room, the grounds and surroundings. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and the grounds were lovely. They offered a yoga class on Monday morning which was lovely. Healdsburg is a wonderful little town to visit and taste wine.

    5
« Great place to stay with a lot of free offerings »

This was our first stay at a Best Western and what they offer for free was great for the price paid - free breakfast, free 1-hour yoga class. Very pretty venue. I would recommend for families, couples, solo travel.

    4
« Conveniently located in the Sonoma wine country, and reasonably priced! »

Whether you are in the wine country for pleasure or business, this hotel is a good choice. The town of Healdsburg, filled with shops and restaurants, is a short drive away. And, wineries are all around. We particularly enjoyed the new Comstock Wines, right up the road! The hotel is right off Highway 101, but you wouldn't know it once you are on the property. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. And, breakfast is included!

    3
« You Get What You Pay For »

I have stayed at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn many times. Great location to visit wineries in the northern Sonoma area. The older section where I stayed was supposedly upgraded over the years and a newer section has been built but costs another $60+. BUT, this time the carpet in the room was so dirty that when I walked to the shower there was dirt in the shower from my feet! Plus, the room was located near the soda machine and very noisy. The rooms were supposed to be all non-smoking but our room smelled of smoke.

    4
    « Terrific »

Charming hotel. Italian villa design. Free breakfast and upgraded rooms with private balconies and whirpool tubs. Great location although a mile from downtown Healdsburg. Only issue was hot water in shower. Would stay here again and would recommend

    5
    « What a very nice surprise! »

I began avoiding Best Western Inns a long long time ago. A friend chose this hotel to meet my husband and I for a cycling vacation. We had a very pleasant stay in a nice room. Breakfast by the fire pit and water feature. The super convenient location is right off the 101 but I did not ever notice the sound of traffic. We would definitely stay here again.

  • 4
« Reasonably Priced Wine Country Option »

We spent three nights and stayed in the upgraded room. The hotel is adjacent to the freeway, making access to nearby destinations very easy. The courtyard has several fountains that do a good job of masking any traffic noise you might otherwise hear. There are also several fire pits to relax around with plenty of seating . Breakfast buffet was what you would expect for a Best Western. The room interior was better than your average Best Western Motel room. It was very clean and it is a bit dated, but not so much that it impacts your stay. We had a decent jetted tub, a fireplace that worked and a built in sound system that played in the room and the bathroom. You have controls in the bathroom to adjust or cancel the volume if you choose. The private balcony had a nice bistro set that we enjoyed several times. For me, one of the most important things in a hotel room is the mattress. My wife and I both wish we could have taken this mattress home with us. We slept incredibly well on it.

    4
    « Value for money »

Stayed here after visiting redwood forest. No fuss hotel but excellent value for money. Nice diner next to the hotel. Lovely swimming pool which was an added bonus. Situated just off the 101 but no disturbance. Room was large and spacious and could not have asked for anything more. Close to the wine growing area so visited whilst returning to San Francisco.

    2
    « VERY TIRED FACILITY »

Stayed in upgraded section building. Bath not renovated in many years, 30 in. square shower with dirty grout, cracked tiles. Many children running free all day and evening. Fireplaces were restricted to minimum and antiquated TV programing package. Very poor Wi-Fi and cell phone service.

    3
« ok but dated and noisey »

This is an old and not very well kept property although it has some appearances of being upgraded. The rooms are not well insulated and you are able to clearly hear your neighbors phone conversation through the wall and other non welcoming noises, think bathroom noises. A fair price for the area but not worth another stay at all.

    4
« Best Western in Healdsburg CA »

Beautiful, quiet, close to interstate highway, close to gas station, good breakfast. In wine country with beautiful vineyards among rolling hills near Russian River in Solano County CA. Excelent restaurants abound.

« A Hotel Doing Good Business as an Inn »

Best Western - Dry Creek Inn. The two titles don't seem as if they should go together, but here it works. The large property has been carefully designed to feel more intimate than it is, and to have a wonderful Italian vibe. You get the coolness of an inn, with a nice hot breakfast included, but you also get the benefits of the larger property, complete with two pools, a sauna and a steam room (and exercise room). The sauna/steam room benefit is great - where do you see that at this price? The rooms are spacious and include a fridge, safe and plenty of room to do whatever you need. The location is excellent - near to wineries, but also to town for dining. You can't do better at the price.

    5
« What a great place to stay to hit the wine country and very close to town! »

Every time we go to Healdsburg it's Best Western with a real nice breakfast. I was hesitant to stay here years ago, but not now. The folks at the front desk are very helpful to newcomers and what the latest stuff is going on. You are only a mile and half from town and what great places to eat. Depends on the your timeframe you better make reservations!

    4
« comfortable place to stay »

we stayed there as part of a large wedding group. the hotel was clean and the facilities were good, two pools and a hot tub. our rooms were serviced promptly. the continental breakfast left a lot to be desired (if you like to eat real food). we did get a price break because of the wedding party but it was probably a bit on the expensive side for the value. internet and tv etc. but healdsburg is a tourist town...

« gorgeous seting and tuscan decor!!!! »

stayed here for 2 nights and wish we could of had more time on the grounds to enjoy them.(Family wedding in Geyserville up the road) Wonderful fire pit/fountain area outside breakfast room! a very great breakfast, w both hot and cold choices! The rooms were beautiful and spacious !

« Location with comfort and good breakfast. »

We always stay at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn and we always book the new Tuscan tower suite over looking the courtyard. The beds are wonderful. The room comes with a Jacuzzi tub and bathrobes. Its nice to be able to relax after a long day of enjoying the wineries. They have actually improved the breakfasts. They usually have hot scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage and fresh waffles, plus a large selection of cold options. Its a tasty way to make sure you have food in you before started a long day of wine tasting.

« You will be back. »

Month visited should say December February March and May! We take our son to UCSF and this is far enough away from the city and $500 dollar a night rooms! Great pools and hot tubs, some rooms have great tubs too. Reasonable rates , ask at the front desk for winery vouchers and enjoy the the local vineyards. Continental breakfast

    3
    « acceptable »

A reasonable price when considering the cost of other hotels in the area. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet. We stuck with the cold cereal for breakfast. i needed another blanket and it was promptly delivered to the room.

    5
    « Nice b ut pricey »

Motel is nicely maintained and updated with modern facilities including HD TVs. Only problem was having to stay in a smoking room because they had no more non-smoking. Maybe the motel should consider all non-smoking rooms. You could still smell the residual smokeeven though they said they used an ionizer to suck out the stale air, The room wa made palab le y having the air run all nice, which proved a little noisy.

    5
« Great place with great amenities »

We booked this hotel for a get away in Dry Creek to visit some wineries and were very happy with this property. The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms are top notch with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent with everything you could want and the grounds were beautifully landscaped with amazing seating areas. They even had a fire pit. The only draw back was that the elevator was out of service but it was under repair while we were there.

    1
« Disappointed in this hotel »

The "free" breakfast is free for two people. We were told the additional two people in our room would add $10 each to our room for their breakfast. Breakfast was horrible, low quality food items, rubber eggs, watery oatmeal, ugly looking fruit. The beds are super soft, sheets low quality, noisy air-conditioning. We left our phone charger plugged in to the socket near the sink. "They did not find it". Uh-hum, right. With so many motels, hotels, and B&B's in the area, would save our $180 for better stay.

    4
« Nice place, dog friendly »

First trip we have taken our dog on so dog friendly is important. We have been on the road nearly two weeks and have had great luck with Best Western and this hotel was no exception. We were given a little gift bag with dog toys and poop bags. The room was large and clean. The breakfast was included and typical hotel breakfast. Nice grounds and pools. Really the only downside was you do hear road noise. We just ran the fan all night, didn't even notice the road. I would stay here again.

    4
« Great value, good facilities »

Located a little out of town (short drive away) but a decent location near the freeway and a large up-market supermarket and a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Pools and hot tub were great for the kids and the breakfast was pretty decent too.

    5
    « Quick overnight trip »

As always, the room was clean, comfortable and while next to the road, we didn't hear any traffic noise until we opened up the sliding glass door, which led to a small terrace which was a nice place to have a cup of coffee. The staff is professional and helpful, even when busy.

    4
« last minute trip with our small dogs »

was a bit leery of a Best Western but it worked out fine. Lots of folks were staying here due to it be a weekend. Would be even better mid week. found parking no problem. they had two pools due to the size of the place. room was clean and quiet. breakfast was included and was decent. its a 1.25 mile walk to the square in Healdsburg but it worked off breakfast. A key was this was a dog friendly hotel as well.

    2
    « Very disappointed . »

Just returned home from Dry Creek Inn and my husband and I know what it must feel like to live under the freeway because the "quiet room " the receptionist gave us was #335 and got full sound from the freeway and off ramp ! There was no sleeping at all ! The whole point is to get away and relax and when the receptionist questions you about the need of a quiet room and in turn gives you the worst they have ? Sad because this property has a lot of nice amenities. The room size was good , bathroom small and plenty of HOT water , no makeup mirror ( ladies) , refrigerators , coffee maker in the room. The square windows in the room have shades behind the shutters for extra darkness although the windows with rounded tops do not . There are vending machines in the hallway and an ice machine in the excercise room . There are parking spaces designated for electric cars ( with charging station) . We were told at one of the local wineries that Dry Creek Inn was the town secret and we would enjoy it , I wish we had known about the freeway noise and that the receptionist had not given us such a bad room otherwise I would have given a better rating . If you stay ask for a room in the middle because freeway on one side and surface street on the other !! I would like a do over but with a quiet room !

    « Loved our stay »

We've stayed at several best Westerns and this has to be my favorite. Clean, comfortable, pretty property, and easy access to everything. The pool and sauna were lovely, and the fire pit outside was a plus for sure. Only complaint was the pillows, maybe bring your own if you don't like too high of pillows. But that's just personal preference. Definitely would stay here again!

    5
    « Wedding Party »

Think we got good rates here with our wedding group, so the price was great. There is one elevator, and not close to all the rooms, so if that is an issue you may talk to the front desk when you book your room to get close to it. Also having a room near the many stairways was kind of noisy too, but did not bother me. Good breakfast options, the usual fare along with waffles in a nice area with options to sit outside. Wine tasting in the evening was nice touch. Not much to walk to, downtown is about a mile away.

    3
« Nice stay in Healdsburg but they are better options »

This hotel has a lot of potential, it has spanish mission era charm, clearly was a non chain hotel purchased at some point by BW. Our room was comfortable and clean though the bathroom was very small with a tiny compartment for a shower. The room is better than the bathroom area. Comfortable bed and convenient location outside of town. Breakfast was silly busy with too many people in one space, hard to walk to/from table because of how close the tables/chairs are to one another. Food options were plentiful but not appetizing. My suggestion would be to limit the options and improve quality on those few items. The paper plates and plastic utensils gave it a high school cafeteria feel. Coffee was very good surprisingly. Wine tasting in the evening was very nice and featured good wines from a well-known winery. All in all and mixed experience but overall good value for $ given the local prices.

    4
    « improved- 3.5 stars »

We have stayed here several times in past and sort of resolved not to stay again, but learned of renovation and decided to chance it. Desk personnel are cast from same old pattern- impersonal. Rooms are substantially improved- brighter and with comfortable beds, clean and of adequate size. Street noise is annoying- take ear plugs. Good location, but parking a bit dicey when busy.

    3
« Could Have Been Better »

Overall this was a nice hotel. The property is nice with two pools and a restaurant right next door. The room was good but the toilet/shower room was in bad shape. It appeared to have not been remodeled when the rest of the room was updated. Had I know more about this property I would have requested a room on the backside of the hotel or one in the new building. Our room was on the side facing the front parking lot and was directly above the adjacent gas station. The station was noisy all night and if one was a light sleeper it would be a realty bgi problem.

    5
« Great value for the money and location »

We stayed in a Tuscan King and were very comfortable for and under $150. Budget hotel in a premium area The room was spacious with a fireplace, patio and great work desk with multiple outlets The shower is teeny tiny but if you're under 5'4" and 110 lbs you should be ok (I'm 6'4" and 260 lbs so it's a bit snug- no problem washing my hips which is about all I can get to with my hands by my sides) All in all, this is above and beyond what anyone should expect for Healdsburg at that price. If it's worth another $400./night for a bigger shower, there are other choices to accommodate you in the area

    5
    « Great stay »

Great hotel, great location, quiet, close to Wineries and close to beautiful town of Healdsburg. Great buffet breakfast included. Beautifully appointed room, very comfy bed. Easy to get on and off Hwy.

    « Problems »

Any place in Healdsburg is expensive; we know that having previously lived in Sonoma County. This Best Western/Dry Creek (obviously privately owned at one point) is right on the cusp of being a good place to stay. The architecture is great and there are some amenities that are in the plus column, i.e., two pools, hot tub, sauna, rooms with jetted tubs, etc. However, as someone who has worked in commercial property management, I was surprised to learn we were in the "updated" building (which, as an FYI is not in the main villa styled 'big house'). Our room was far from being updated. Yes, it had the jetted tub, it has a small patio, the room could be made to feel more open by opening the levolurs between the bathroom and sitting area. We checked in at the designated time (3:00). We were shown to a room at the end of a breezeway. Before even walking into the room, we could clearly hear the music from the event being held in the event/patio area on the floor below. And we walked into the room, we were hit with a reeking Clorox smell. I immediately called down to the desk and requested a different room. First, I was asked if I wanted to know when the party would be ending. That was immaterial to me especially given the stench of Clorox. We were moved to another room which was on the first floor, "furthest away from the party"being held on the same floor as we now were. This seemed to be a good solution. We turned on the AC only to have it not work. Called the desk and they sent someone over to fix the problem. One which they must have happen often because we barely had voiced our problem when they knew what we were talking about. Ok! Got the AC going! Next problem up, the in-room jetted tub. Worked great the night before and then suddenly I couldn't get the jets to stop. Another call to the desk. Maintenance sent again. Another "tricky" problem for turning off the jets. On our checkout day, we were taking luggage out to the car and returning to the room. I kept hearing this faint noise. It turned out that the magnetic locking system must not have been working. I could open the door from inside and see the green flashing light on the outside indicating the door was unlocked. From the outside, with the green light flashing I tried my card again. No difference. The green light kept flashing and you could still open the door/close the door. I've worked with magnetic doors before; this is not a difficult problem to solve but I am on vacation. I am not there to tell them what processes should be in place for preventing problems like these. Another somewhat unrelated issue is, while sitting on the patio, I noticed something that looked like a half smoked cigar. When looking closer. I could tell it was a partially smoked roach (NO, no the one you could pull the legs off). I honestly have no problem with this and I am completely sure it was left by a guest. However, the fact remains that no one discovered this. At $296/per night, there is no way I would stay here again. With all of the fees included, spending $339/night for this kind of experience is unacceptable. So, back to my initial comment: the building in which we stayed was considered "updated"-- if this is supposed to be 'new' building, I know I would not stay there again". As I mentioned initially, this hotel is posed to offer a great rate (sure as hell better than mine at $296/night) but Best Western needs to step up to the plate and provide the services they say they do. Additionally, it is unacceptable that there are no two king beds in one room. Hello! Some of us who have traveled extensively, are accustomed to that choice being available. If this is the "updated building", I cannot even imagine what the rooms in the villa look like. I would say the rooms in the updated building are acceptable. They are not worth $296 per night. Best Western wants it's cake and wants to eat it too. They want to be in the Valley and offer less expensive rooms-- good. Along with that, however, comes the responsibility of offering *exactly* what you say you offer. Nothing less.

« Convenient and good value for area: very comfortable beds, breakfast, pool, fire pit, clean »

Fifteen seconds off 101 exit, and set back from Adel's and the gas station, the Dry Creek Inn is quite nice and feels less urban than its surroundings. The beds are uncommonly comfortable and otherwise rooms are clean and as expected. Noise can be an issue but only modestly so. The grounds include a breakfast room (included), an outside area with a fire pit, and an outdoor pool accessed from the parking lot. Parking is ample. Wifi, though a bit slow, is included. Location is convenient for the activities in the area; Healdsburg is a one mile walk.

« Not your typical Best Western »

pay a little more and stay in one of Villa Toscana building with a courtyard view, jacuzzi and fireplace, a great place to jump off to all the lovely wineries and charming Healdsburg. Great value for the price. Has nice jacuzzis and pool, great romantic getaway!

« Great Location for Bike Riding the Wine Country »

This best western really surprised me with a very comfy bed with lots of great pillows. The grounds were really nice with an outdoor fire pit to sit around at night and pools to enjoy the sun. The location was perfect for biking riding through the wine country.

    « Excellent »

We have stayed here many times and it is a great place stay. Very clean. Staff is friendly and breakfast has improved over the years. A little noisy from 101 being so close, but no overly so. The room are decent size and the beds are comfortable.

    4
    « Good relative value »

Conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown, quiet, spacious room. While not as luxurious as the significantly more expense downtown hotels, offers some nice amenities (pool, spa, steam, sauna, nice outside seating availability).

    « Back Again »

We have stayed at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn several times now and are very happy with it. The staff has always been very pleasant, friendly, and helpful, and the rooms are neat and clean and quite large. We choose the older Sienna section since it meets all our needs. The motel makes a nice stopping point between the Los Angeles area where we live and Humboldt County where we go to visit. It also gives us the chance to visit Dry Creek Winery, of which we are Wine Club members.

    « Getaway »

We had great getaway from the huddle and bustle of San Francisco. The property is Tuscan style with beautiful gardens, fountains, fire pit, fire place. There is a big wine growing area in and around Healdsburg and we did some great exploring of the area. We had a fabulous time.

    2
    « Unacceptable room »

We were given a room next to the exercise room. For hours each day we could hear the running, shouting & tv use in the room next door. The hotel refused to give us another room. The room was also very dark and poorly lit, with a window that faced a stairwell on the first floor.

    4
    « Surprisingly Nice »

A group of my girlfriends and I stayed here for a girls weekend getaway - it was a surprisingly nice! I personally don't typically stay in any Best Western myself so my expectations was rather low to begin with. However, the room was spacious and clean. It had a view of the nice courtyard downstairs. For the price we paid, I thought it was a good deal! It also included a continental breakfast in the main conference room where it had an array of breakfast pastries, bagels, waffle maker to make your own, cereals, juice, coffee, tea - everything you need before u start your day in the wine country. :) I would definitely come back n stay again.

    3
« pet tolerant, not pet friendly »

I am glad to be able to bring my dog with me, but this hotel is more pet tolerant than pet friendly. No place for dogs to relieve themselves. We had to walk down the neighborhood to find grass . This was a bit much, when the hotel charges per pet.

    « Lipstick on a pig! »

Don't let the title fool you. This is a very positive review of the Best Western Dry Creek Inn. The hotel was probably built in the 1970's and it shows on its outside appearance. However, they have done a wonderful job on the inside of the rooms - at least the one I stayed in (335). Although it too was original, they have updated the bed, linens, tv etc with really high quality. The bathroom was older fixtures but it was spotless - very clean. So was the carpet in my room. Plus the actually room location around the side was excellent. The front staff were great and the free breakfast hit the spot. They have pools and a small work out room as well. Perhaps most impressively was the price. It was quite reasonable for the area. Lastly, it was about a 15 minute to downtown Healdsburg which was perfect on a warm April evening. I'll be back.

    4
« Good Price for this area! »

We stayed here when visiting family in the area. Since Healdsburg has become SF north it has become very expensive. This hotel was a great price when comparing to the area. It was clean and had nice rooms. Breakfast was the usual quick bites. All in all this place was the best deal in the area.

« Good bed , cheap it is ok »

The positives are a bed that is comfortable for a few nights, it's inexpensive , It's a bit of a hike to walk into town but 7 bucks for a taxi is not big deal Breakfast is something I would prefer not to do again, paper plates , plastic forks etc , Staff all friendly and helpful

    1
    « Has location »

This is not our first stay here, but will be our last. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is just horrible. The toilet seat was broken. I had to wait nearly 10 minutes for the show water to get warm. You can barely step into the shower without being on top of the toilet. The cable TV was working only sporadically. We stayed upstairs, have stayed downstairs (much more preferable) but bathrooms are the same. This is a great place for families with kids; which is what we see mostly. No bargain for the price.

    4
« Good Quality Room in Healdsburg »

Good quality room (this was clearly not a Best Western originally) so nicer than expected for the brand...room had fireplace and jetted tub. Breakfast was ok, but limited hot food selection and no non-meat protein choices. Front Desk staff could use an upgrade in the professionalism department but they did meet all our requests appropriately.

    4
« Most convenient Hotel in Healdsburg »

The Dry Creek Inn is an easy on / off from the 101 Freeway in Healdsburg. Plus it is the largest and most eye appealing Best Western in Sonoma County. The Italian / Tuscan theme is genuine and not tacky. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is more than adequate.

    « great hotel - must stay »

My husband and i had a great experience at this hotel. We were looking at a couple of different options but this one had the best rates, best reviews, best price and great location. We will be staying at this location again next year.

« The Best hotel in Healdsburg »

We have been to the Dry creek area every year for the last four years and this was our first time staying at the Dry Creek Inn. From the moment we arrived we were treated by a friendly, smiling staff. The check in at the front desk was done quickly and efficiently. Our stay was in the Villa Toscana building room 510 on the second floor. The room was beautiful and spotless on our arrival, which was a delight for me, working in healthcare. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. The little patio area overlooked the piazza and we were lulled with the sounds from the water fountain below. Even when the hotel seemed fully booked we never had an issues with noise. I had called the front desk requesting a hair dryer within two minutes one was delivered to our room. The next day we noticed the sound level on the TV remote did not work. I left a note for housekeep asking for a replacement since we did not want to disturb the occupants in the rooms next to ours. That afternoon when we arrived back in our room we had a new remote. Breakfast in the morning had something for everyone. From eggs, bacon, fruit, pastries, waffles, oatmeal, cereal and other choices. The staff in the breakfast area kept everything clean and always refreshed. Walking around the hotel we were always greeted cheerfully by the staff, which made us feel like they wanted us there. Our four day stay went by so quickly we decided we would like to extend another day. At the front dest we spoke with Eric, the front desk manager and he made the magic happen . We were allow to extend and even stay in our same room. WOW can you say GREAT customer service ! In the evenings we enjoyed sitting by the fire pits, relaxing with a glass of wine and socializing with other guests. We can't say enough great things about our stay here. Even when we were wine tasting and were asked where we were staying, the winery staff would tell us oh " that is a popular place" Thank you to every one At the Dry Creek inn for making our Birthday celebration stay a wonderful one. What a great place!

The Best Western Dry Creek Inn was a perfect jumping off spot for our Healdsburg adventures. Our family of 5 was very comfortable. We appreciated being close to downtown. Good breakfast. Convenient location.

    « Barrel tasting »

The Tuscan building is the nicest best western I've ever been too. Jacuzzi was private and nice. Fireplace adds a nice touch. Could hear fountain all night. We would definite go back. Breakfast was good and front desk was helpful with dinner recommendations.

« Very nice room in the newer Tuscan section, but loud ouside room all night. »

I stayed here a couple of years ago and was impressed by the room, but not so much the breakfast. This visit the bathroom seemed a little tired. The toilet would not initially work, but I found that the water to it was turned off at he wall. The bed was very comfortable and I was ready for a good nights sleep, but all through the night and into the morning, people talking loudly passed by the room. I finally gave up about 5 AM and got up. I was one of the first to breakfast, expecting only the basics, but instead found a greatly expanded offering, eggs, bacon, waffles, toast and muffins, yogurt , juices and coffee. Would stay here again, but I would try to get a room where there is no walkway outside the room.

« Vacation stay in Wine Coutry »

Rooms are nice in size. Doors open to the outside which takes a little getting use to. Hopefully they have security checking at night. Breakfast is nice although the same daily. Rooms are way short on electrical outlets and a little dark on the inside. narrow parking spaces close to the rooms. larger ones are a longer walk. Only one elevator. Would recommend but needs updating main sleeping area.

« Nice area for a quick stayover »

Stayed over one night when traveling to SF. Very nice front desk staff, beautiful grounds. Definitely one of the nicest Best Westerns I've stayed in. Nice fitness room, great large breakfast room. Only improvements I would make are some added amenities in the room like makeup remover wipes and softer towels!

« Great location and good value »

This was a first visit to Healdsburg and we got very lucky in finding the Best Western Dry Creek Inn. The hotel is easy to find and has a great location with a wonderful 1 mile lit walkway to downtown Healdsburg just nearby. Also a great market just across the road in case you should need anything. Our room was clean and comfortable, but we would upgrade to the newer part of the hotel in our next stay - for just a small increase at this time of year you get a much nicer room with a balcony so you can sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine!

    5
    « Beautiful grounds & nice room »

The Via Toscana rooms & building are very nice & better than expected! Wish it was not raining & cold, as we had planned to use the outdoor patio/fireplace area. I was not aware of the spa. It looked so tempting, however I forgot to bring a swimsuit. Plan to return for a future stay!

« Great location and value »

Have stayed here now several years in a row on our annual trip up the coast to Mendocino. Hotel is well appointed, clean, quiet, and a solid value in wine country. Would highly recommend it for short stays and a good home base.

    « When in Rome »

Last year the wife and I traveled up to Healdsburg on a whim after we were Sonoma'd out and we were so impressed that we thought we'd spend our entire yearly wine country pilgrammage in Healdsburg the following year. The one thing that remained the same though was staying at a Best Western. We've stayed at the Sonoma Best Western for 5 years, which i a hidden gem, and we thought it was only appropriate to stay at their sister property. Best Western Heealdsburg did't disappoint. First off the staff is amazing. I called prior to our arrival to make special arrangements to surprise the wife for our engagement anniversary and the staff made excellent recommendations and assisted with the plotting. The grounds are amazing with firepits and flowers. The little things like flowers and te cold water station didn't go unnoticed. The location was key, only a twenty minute walk to downtownn, next to a cafe, and easy access to the freeway. BTW if you don't fee like walking Lyft is more prevalent than Uber in town. Brreakfast was meh. But honestly what are you doing eating aat the hotel in this town. Also, th hotel coffee was surprsingly bueno. Let me sum it up by sying this. I'm writing this review on the flight home and we're already planning ou next trip back.

« Great Value and Great Surprise »

We really loved our stay at the best western Dry Creek Inn. We had a nice room with a King size bed, fire place and Jacuzzi tub and a patio that led out to a beautiful courtyard. We sat there every night enjoying a glass of wine. It was so pretty with water flowing and many plants, trees and herbs surrounding you. Even the complimentary breakfast was good, you had many things to choose from eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, different fruits and coffee, teas and Juices. It really helped to start your day in wine country. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect stay

« Great location and value »

Good size and nice rooms. Clean facility. Some road noise. There are two outdoor pools and an exercise room. Nice breakfast variety. Well worth the nightly lodging fee. Excellent location to downtown Healdsburg and wineries.

« Great value and hotel »

Wife and I stayed a few nights here to enjoy wine country and had a great experience. It's about a 5 minute drive from town center or maybe a 20-25 minute walk. There is a paved bike path on the left approximately 100 yards south of the hotel that you can use if you choose to walk. We walked to town in the rain with our dog and it was not too bad, although we are active people. There are a few wineries closer than town and a TON within a few minutes drive. One block from a coffee shop and an awesome natural foods market/store. The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms were recently remodeled. It is basically a motel so you may get a little neighbor noise but nothing so much that it caused an issue. We chose it based on price point and location (and dog-friendliness) and had a great experience.

« Nice pool and hot tub noisy room »

The room we stayed in was on the third level and faced the highway which made the room very noisy. Everything was clean, but the water in the shower would not get very hot. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor fireplace in the 'Tuscany Villa' side were very nice. However the pool on the main side wasn't as clean and the second hot tub was out of order. The free breakfast offered scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, along with cereal, coffee, toast ect. Location was not walking distance, but still close to main shopping district in downtown.

    « Not a happy camper!g »

As Best Western Rewards members, we were very disappointed that once again we have been relegated to a poor room. After speaking to Eric, the manager, it was very clear that it doesn't matter what you request on line. He told me to call directly when I have a request (so what is the point of an online reservation?). He tried to convince me that Marriott (we are gold elite members of Marriot) and Best Weastern work in much the same way. When I disagreed with him, he turned his back on me and conveniently found himself turning to someone else. This would never have happened at a Marriot property. My husband and I have stayed here many times. So it was a quite a disappointment that during our last stay about two months ago, our online request for a certain room was not honored. Upon arrival we were told that rooms are assigned on a first come first come first serve basis despite what we had requested. Fast forward to today, we arrived at 3:30 in the afternoon and were given a room right on the Main Street. I immediately expressed my disapproval with the room and requested that we be changed to another room. Surprise! We were told that they were sold out and couldn't change anything. I reminded the staff of their first come first serve policy which they had enforced on my previous visit. I told them that there was an empty room near I ours and according to their policy we should have been reassigned to that room. This time I was told that it couldn't be changed because they did not know how many people were staying in the room. WHAT??? That question is asked every time a reservation is made online, on the phone or in person in the lobby. The "policy" is just being changed to fit the circumstances that best fit the hotel and not its loyal customers. It is now 9:15 pm. The previously mentioned room and a number of others on the same floor are still empty and I'm still listening to the traffic noise and the dog barking in the next room. This is a hotel that does not respect its loyal customers. Such a shame.... We will be looking for accommodations elsewhere for our bimonthly visits.

« Nice hotel, affordable prices for Sonoma! »

Spent two nights and loved the accommodations! Only a short, probably 5 or 10 minute, drive to the square which is especially convenient. Didn't have breakfast here, dined elsewhere, but would definitely stay again. Also, loved the fact that it's located right off 101 which is nice when touring wineries.

    3
    « Simple and Convenient »

Stayed here one night earlier this week while on a business trip. Room was Ok but it was a little noisy since facing the main road/Adele diner. Bathroom was dated and some fixtures were not in the best shape. Breakfast was ok. Nice fire pit and lounging area on the property. Conveniently located by 101 and provides access to area wineries.

    5
« Best breakfast and pool in the wine country! »

Whether you drive up for 1-2 nights as a staycation from the Bay Area or are enroute to another destination, you will not be disappointed. They often offer coupons to stay in the main hotel or the more upscale section, both with access to the pool, jacuzzi and hot breakfast. Convenient location to Hwy 101 and wineries or biking roads. The beds are all new and the MOST comfortable I have ever seen! Simple restaurant is next door. Great restaurants and wine tasting in town 1 mile away. I will return for sure!

    4
« Simple, Convenient & Better than Expected »

Nice hotel right off the freeway in wine country. Good location for restaurants, etc. Rooms are nice although access is from outside (not enclosed). Nice fire pit to have a glass of wine in the evening provides opportunity to share wine country stories with fellow guests. Small Continental Breakfast included. Would stay here again.

    « Wine fun »

The hotel its self ..not bad...lovely fire pit to sit around, and the evening was beautiful. Went to the hot tub and enjoyed talking with other guests...however went to leave and there were postage size towels to dry off with and no robes in the room...also being in the wine country there was no wine opener.nor glasses to drink from. Overall a nice place to stay for one night

« Great trip to wine country »

This is a great location. I have stayed here one other time. It is so convenient to all the wineries in the area. It is a fantastic value for the money. The rooms in the newer portion of the hotel are as nice as any you can find.

    « Exceeds expectations »

We generally like Best Western Hotels, but this location is a cut above some. The staff is friendly and proficient. The breakfast room is clean and welcoming. The grounds are tidy and well maintained. There is a good coffee shop, "Adele's" steps away, and a gas station on the corner. Freeway access is nearby, and the town itself is charming. This hotel offers a fitness room, swimming pool, hot tubs, and sauna. The rooms with two queen beds have been recently refurbished.

« Good motel for the location »

Motel was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and a good value for the location. A lot of people complained about the cleanliness and quality of this place in their reviews so I'll admit I was a little worried before coming here but everything turned out just fine. I think the other reviewers could have been looking for the Hyatt/Ritz at Motel 6 prices. It's a Best-Western, it's cheap, it's older and it's NOT a 4 or 5 star hotel so don't expect to get those amenities so if you come in expecting a clean place to stay you'll get just that. It is better than staying at some bug-infested hotel or a crummy motel and the staff is very friendly and helpful even when there is a long line of people waiting to check-in. They have a free breakfast buffet, which I didn't try since there is so much great food in the area so i'd rather not have pre-made waffle mix and I'm really picky about my coffee but I heard it's decent from others at the hotel. They have a heated pool, hot tub and charging stations if you've got an electric car. The location is in a weird part of town next to a gas station, small wineries and other B&B's but Healdsburg isn't that big so you'll get to the center of town in 5 min, Napa/Sonoma/Alexander Valley in about an hour and Santa Rosa in 15 min.

    5
« Great wine country location »

This is the second time we've stayed at this location, both times were enjoyable. Recommend the terrace area, very quiet and the rooms are new. Breakfast was typical BW. Hot tub was nice, laid out so it was segregated from the pool which limited kids.

« bang for your buck »

I was happy that they didn't have a min. night stay. Was able to book a Sat. night at short notice. Good location for wine tasting. Free parking. Breakfast was just ok but included. Big rooms. Big bathrooms. Dog friendly.

    « Good Value »

We stayed two nights. The room appeared to have been updated in the recent past. The beds were comfortable. There was good water pressure. The WiFi was fast and stayed connected. We were there on a Groupon which for our stay made this an exceptional value--a savings of almost 50%. The free breakfast was not very good except for the fruit, yogurt and waffles. But a free breakfast is not why we stayed here. This was the first time I had seen a pancake machine. It was interesting to push a button and two minutes later have a pancake drop out. It was thin and tough so I only took a couple bites.

« Visit to wine country »

This place is AWESOME. Rooms are cozy and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast daily. We will come back to stay next time we come to Healdsburg. The prices are very reasonable and you are close to everything. Great Tuscany feel :) Thank you all :)

« Good value friendly hotel »

Healdsburg is a growing destination and hotel prices are high for the size of the town. Dry Creek Inn is a great value choice for the location. Service is friendly and it has all the amenities you would expect from a middle range hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, even if the fitout shows some age. A good place to stay.

    4
« Great price, excellent value. »

Try and get in the new building as Casa Sienna is older and a little dated. I was in the older building but walked to the new building for the daily very good breakfast. Nice spacious breakfast room. 2 heated pools and a good fitness room. Some of the best front desk staff I have ever dealt with. Super friendly and very accommodating. I was on a Groupon and it was a great price but I was treated as an honoured guest. Dog friendly hotel. The grounds are very well kept and the 4 or 5 fountains were a nice touch. Central location for dining and wine touring.

    2
« Watch out...good location and good price but !!!! »

The hotel is old and needs updating. The carpet has not been cleaned in years. My white running socks were so filthy after just one night that i threw them away. There were bugs on the desk each morning as we used the WiFi. Hopefully they will not one day appear in the beds. This hotel is in a great location and the people there are very friendly. They do what they can....the price is right but you only get location, location, location.

    « 5 Star Service! Clean, Stylish & Reasonable! »

This place is the whole package. Friendly helpful staff..even helped us with a rebill so my friend could charge the room I paid for in advance. Got us adjoining rooms which made it almost suite-like so my 2 friends and I could socialize yet not share a single bathroom. Incredibly clean, well kept and convenient. Don't miss th he free breakfast. Good and not fancy so you can move on to your wine tours! We'll be back!

    « Good Choice »

Good location in Healdsburg, motel with upscale feel. Since it was winter the fireplace in the room was nice, although not very warming, but the room heat did a good job. Decor is beautiful. I feel the room was clean. There was a special security gate restricting access to the rooms to roomkey holders. Breakfast adequate, coffee good. Crowded place it seems . Outdoor pool and patios. The place met our needs for wine touring ( location wise). I would recommend.

    « Hotel review »

Rooms clean and breakfast good. Location near Big John's is convenient. Only complaints were TV reception was poor at times and bathroom floor too slick for someone on crutches and I was in a handicap room.

    4
    « Comfortable, clean place »

Good things, beds were very comfortable and a nice shower. The room was larger than most. The woman at the front desk was pleasant, but not very helpful. The other staff were very nice though. I am not sure if I would stay here again, but also not sure I wouldn't...it was just ok.

    3
« Noisy, limited parking and breakfast choices »

Pros: Less than 10 min drive to town center. Reasonable price. Had rooms available for the same day booking. Cons: Thin walls and roof lets all noise though. Lots of drunk loud people Difficult to find parking close to your room. Limited breakfast choices, staff was no help. The guy at the door was more of a bouncer than host. Slammed closed the door exactly at 10am.

    3
    « Needs Work »

We were hoping this hotel would be with in walking distance of this pretty little town but it is definitely not. Some may find it more convenient to the highway but the intersection is a very busy one. We stayed in the newer part which is still under construction or perhaps just being repaired but it ruined the view from our balcony and we were not very excited to step out and see workmen peering back at us. The room was a little tired and dark but comfortable enough. Breakfast was good.

    3
    « Wine tasting tour »

Have never been to the wine country for a multiple tasting tour. Not that we indulge regularly but such a great time of year to do a road trip. Reviews were average to great for this property. I give them an average rating. Rooms are dated, but clrsn. They need to update at least lighting so that there are not cords hanging from the wall sockets across the wall. Need lamps that you can plug into instead of unplugging the lamp so you can use outlet to plug in electronics of own. Bring a multiplier if you stay. Breakfast is great when it is offered. Really appreciate this feature for many establishments. However, reheated eggs, sausage, dry muffins.... Nothing really fresh. Fruit was good. Coffee good. We will go out to breakfast next time.

We've stayed here before but I didn't remember it being so tired-looking and in need of an update. Room was clean but dreary, not inviting. Clerks at desk seemed uninvolved with guests. Was not initially greeted on arrival. When we had to change rooms, I had to come down to get the new key, they did not send someone up, even through there were two people at the desk.

    « Great location but... »

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a great time. The breakfast was very good with a large assortment of food and drinks. Our room was comfortable but my husband is handicap so we had room 105. Well 105 shares a wall with 103, the 24 hour fitness center and it's TV which hangs on the wall. The treadmill is also next to the wall. At 10 pm a couple began their 45 minute routine with the TV blaring. I asked them to turn it down which they did but the banging from the treadmill is loud. Staff is friendly and rates are reasonable. Would stay again, just not in 105. Also, for wine tasting and you don't want to drive try Kim's wine tours. We had Jeanette and she was great, very helpful and knowledgeable.

« Weekend of Wine Tasting in Sonoma County »

I am largely a fan of the Best Western Brand of properties, especially the Plus. This is not a "plus" property but is still OK. The location is great if you want to be sort of in the center of Alexander and the Russian River Valley and still close to Healdsburg. The price is definitely much cheaper than staying down town Healdsburg. I requested the newer building and it was very nice. They have a great free breakfast and a very nice pool if you go in the summer. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel that shares the parking lot as well (I did not try it so have nothing to say about it). I would stay here again.

« A Great Hotel if You are Hard of Hearing »

This hotel is in a great location for visiting the wineries in the area and the staff is very friendly but the rooms located across from Adele's Restaurant and the busy highway can be a challenge. If you stay here, ask for a room with even numbers if your room is in the wing that holds the lobby. These rooms face an inner courtyard. The odd numbered rooms face the restaurant's parking lot and highway. Let me give you a couple of examples of just how thin the walls are in these rooms. At about 7 AM I could hear a small baby crying in the next room. Even worse, later that evening, I could hear how babies are made. More soundproofing, please! The wall-mounted heating system above the window is a mixed blessing . When it starts up, as it does every 40 minutes or so, it sounds like a 747 jet engine coming to life. Well, at least you don't hear those other disturbing noises while this is happening. Those in the know ask for one of the rooms that cost a little more, have a fireplace in the room, and is in the back area of the hotel. You should too.

    « Just worn out »

We have stayed here several times over a few years. It never seems as nice as it should. The rooms feel worn out. There are never enough places for people to eat breakfast; however, the staff is friendly and suggests that it's all right to take food back to the rooms. However, the location is close to vineyards and within easy driving distance to cafes and coffee shops on the Healdsburg Plaza. It is much more affordable than other Healdsburg hotels and is okay for this price.

    « Ugh--don't eat the breakfast »

We paid for an upgraded room. It was ok, comfy bed, although the shower is the size of a closet. They tout a hot continental breakfast, stay away from the "hot" stuff--frozen scrambled eggs microwaved and dumped in a warmer, same with the bacon/sausage. We had a room on the ground floor, and whoever was in the room above us was up early every morning moving around--ceiling doesn't buffer the noise.

« Enjoyable Stay with Pleasant Staff »

Everyone was very helpful and professional. Location was great as it's only about a 5 minute drive to downtown square. If it were not so cold on our stay, it would have been a nice walkCheck in and out was easy and quick without any issues. Our room was nice and relaxing. The only issues were that the air vent in bathroom looked dirty and eggs at breakfast were clearly powdered eggs.

« Not recommended for the disabled »

Not at all set up for people with physical limitations or who are short as the beds were very high & the pillows way too thick and uncomfortable. Also, the tv didn't work at all, although one of my family members did get it replaced & the printed guide to the channels didn't match the channels on the screen. The bathroom was set up poorly with no place to set anything. There was just a tiny wash basin, although the room was huge.

« Nice location and great price! »

This hotel is in a great location. Only a few minutes to drive downtown. The downtown area had plenty of parking. The hotel sits directly off the highway (you won't notice it's there) but also on the road leading to all the Dry Creek Road vineyards. Very convenient. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The door to the room opens directly to the outside. Some of the other reviews touched upon the tub and fireplace. Our bathroom also had a separate shower. It seemed as if all the furniture was brand new. It is nice they offer breakfast, but grab a tea/coffee/drink/ or fruit and head out to a real breakfast place.

« Lovely time in Healdsburg, CA »

We enjoyed our three nights at this hotel. The ambiance was great and the amenities made the stay memorable. Out room had a fireplace and jetted tub and the bed was extremely comfortable with high quality linens and bedding. Overall, this was a very nice stay.

« Lovely hotel in beautiful area »

Stayed here between Christmas and the new year. It's a pretty hotel and from what I can tell, even more pleasant in the summer. There are two pools and very nice outdoor seating areas that we could not take advantage of due to the cold weather. I enjoyed the hotel enough to return. We did not have a deluxe room, but the standard room was great. Very nice, comfortable bed, air conditioner and heating unit in the room. Blow dryer, coffee maker with complimentary coffee, iron/ironing board, refrigerator, safe, desk, free wifi, plus extra outlets on the desk for computers, tablets and phones. Breakfast was included. I eat a plant based diet and the choices were limited, but my partner enjoyed the eggs and bacon immensely. Did not see nut milks for coffee/cereal. If you're a vegetarian, it might be disappointing. However, there is a market walking distance to the hotel (Big Johns) and they have everything you could possibly want. With a refrigerator in the room, it's all good. There's a fitness center. Two treadmills, one elliptical, one stationary bike, and a weight machine that allows you to work legs, chest, abs. There's a bathroom with shower in the exercise room. The lobby serves complimentary coffee/decaf/and tea all day. The staff, with the exception of one person was super friendly and helpful. Anna, in housekeeping went out of her way to be helpful and kind. There's a gas station next to the hotel, as well as a restaurant, which we did not try. The location is great. Very close to downtown. Perhaps not close enough to walk, but it's a short drive. It's close to the freeway. The hotel is pet friendly. I saw several families with dogs. The style of the building is a Tuscan Villa and it's well decorated to match. It's one of the most attractive Best Westerns I've stayed in and I've stayed in them all over the country and the world. For all that it offers, it's incredibly reasonably priced, especially with the Triple A discount. I recommend it.

« excellent hotel and great value »

Spent 1 night here with my family on our way through the Russian River Valley and to visit the Armstrong Redwood State Reserve near Guerneville. This hotel is led by people who care about customer experience: the free breakfast was excellent, the rooms are large and clean, and the hotel is right near the Interstate, which allows for convenient departure and arrival. The price is affordable too, highly recommend!

    « Always a pleasant stay »

Great location and pleasant rooms, particularly the Tuscan Villa section. Within easy walking distance of a good coffee shop, restaurants and wine tasting rooms downtown Healdsburg. Easy access to the highway, hiking trails, cycling and wineries. The outdoor air compressor on the balcony of the Tuscan rooms is irritating and it takes a while to heat the rooms when outside temps are low. Hotel staff are very pleasant and it has the best included continental breakfast I've seen at a hotel.

« Take the dogs, get great value and enjoy the Russian River Valley wines. »

Ask for a Toscana Room - the newer section of this Best Wester - with fireplace & jet tub. Dogs allowed! Good value allowing sufficient budget for nice meals & wine tasting. We dined at Valette & Willys - both good. Hartford Family tasting room in Healdsburg was nice as well as a few others off off Dry Creek. Loved the Pinot Noir tasting at Ferrari Carrano which has beautiful grounds! Nice value priced Best Western with jaccuzi, sauna & steamroom. Breakfast included.

« Beautiful large clean comfy rooms! »

Our room was great...it was large, well decorated, clean, and had nice comfy beds...I wish all motel rooms were exactly like this one! The bathroom area had a nice sliding door that either makes the bathroom sink area part of the room, or, if you want privacy, one just slides it shut. Hotel service was also excellent...we asked for extra towells and they brought them to our room within five minutes! They promote a "full" breakfast however, although nice, is not really that special. Their breakfast has all the regular motel breakfast stuff, but they just add sausage (or bacon) and that yellow stuff they call scrambled eggs. Coffee is instant coffee.

    « Nice hotel »

We have stayed in this hotel in the past and chose to stay again on this trip to California. The room was clean and comfortable, but the price seemed a little high for the room we were given. Much nicer room on our last visit. The breakfast is great and the staff was very friendly.

« Clean, very good value »

We stayed 2 nights at the Dry Creek Inn, Healdsburg, CA. Extremely nice staff, clean rooms, animal friendly, even gave us a treat bag filled with doggie toys. VERY comfortable bed. There was no designated "doggie" area that I could find but there was plenty of walking areas nearby. Pretty quiet considering the location near the freeway. Breakfast had typical choices but was clean and well stocked. Room was clean and nicely furnished.

« Big Room, Very Clean »

We had two rooms for a family trip. Both were very clean, big and had very comfortable beds. The complimentary breakfast was very good too. I will go stay there again. The price was very good and we were a short drive to downtown.

« Remodeled and Updated Upscale Chain Hotel near Downtown »

The Dry Creek Inn has been completely updated with new carpets, beds, bedding, furniture, and bathrooms. There's a large desk, armoire, couch, king or queen size bed, big TV, refrigerator and chest of drawers. Guest laundry, fitness center and a large heated swimming pool are conveniently located in the innAdjacent to the Krug Event Center, which is owned by the Dry Creek Inn, a large breakfast area can accommodate up to eighty people, plus outdoor gardens, fire pits, extra seating, and ample parking. Minutes to US Highway 101 and hundreds of wineries and five minutes to downtown where you can spend a whole of money for a fancy hotel. Down the street is Big John's Supermarket that specializes in local foods, organic or not, wines, cheeses and every grocery item you can image. They also have large food bars and buffets that enable you to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner.

    « Disinterested »

Best Western is VERY convenient to the 101 and Dry Creek Valley Road. It is also close to Healdsburg's best grocery store, Big John's. Wild Sage, a really good deli is across the street and Adel's, a classic short order restaurant is next door. It is a 20 minute walk to downtown Healdsburg along the relatively newly opened walking and cycling path along Foss Creek, which begins just across Grove Street. The staff at the Best Western (front desk and breakfast room attendants) could not have been nicer. The hotel, itself is a bit of a let down. It is tired and close to three busy streets. The lobby is no more than that, a lobby. Rooms are arranged over three floors in two separate buildings with exterior corridors. It is of light construction, so if you are up for it, stay on the top floor. The room safe did not work during our 4 night visit. Four times the receptionist reported the fault to maintenance, but no effort was made to repair the damaged safe. here is only one waste basket in the room (in the bathroom) and no provision for recycling. The Fitness Facility is miserable. Small, dark, poorly equipped and rarely cleaned or maintained by the looks of things. Healdsburg lacks competition in the mid to low end hotel inventory department. Best Western just does not have to do more and stays pretty much sold out. Sad.

    « Hidden Gem »

While Best Westerns have historically been a bit "downscale," this venue has always impressed and continually works to upgrade its facilities. I've been staying here nearly 20 years now. It isn't downtown on Healdsburg Square, but it is easily walkable, especially now that the bike path has been extended nearly to the hotel (about 50 meters away?). A MUCH more affordable than anything in town ... so you can spend your $$$ on food and wine!

« Convenient for wine tasting but room was lacking »

My family stayed at this hotel to do wine tasting at nearby places. We were excited by the Tuscan feel of the hotel we saw in photos and thought the hotel must be "better than the average Best Western." While that's true, we found our room and section of the hotel disappointing. I suspect the Tuscan feel was layered on top of an older hotel. If you look carefully you can see evidence that the hotel was perhaps outdated and a remodel makes for what you see today. It would be an overstatement to say this is like "putting lipstick on a pig," but the pictures I'm including show some of the lack of attention to detail in the hotel improvements. If you stay at this hotel be sure to ask for a room in the section of the hotel where breakfast is held - I.e. Not in the section where reception is located. Our understanding is the reception area rooms are less impressive. Because it was raining during our stay we did not get a chance to use the pool or seating area with a fire pit. However, both looked quite nice for relaxing. The breakfast included with your stay is pretty good and includes waffles, pancakes, eggs, and pastries. If you're looking for an affordable place to use as a jumping off point for area wine tasting then this is a fine option, but don't go into your stay thinking the hotel is the least bit luxurious. Also he sure to request a room in the newer section of the hotel.

    « Great Stay »

Beautiful rooms, less than 6 minutes away from downtown Healdsburg. The facilities were clean, the staff friendly & helpful. Selfishly I'd rather keep this gem a secret but they definitely deserve the props. My friends and I loved this trip and will be back again for our next wine club pickups!

« Good price and decent room in H'burg »

The hotel is a rather pedestrian Best Western, located right off of Highway 101. Fortunately, it is also adjacent to a quiet street that goes right into downtown Healdsburg and its parking area, so the hotel is really very convenient to dining and shopping in Healdsburg. It is really too far to walk into town for dinner, particularly in winter when it gets dark, but the drive and parking are easy. We stayed in a Tuscan room over a weekend. Maybe we were lucky, based on other reviews, but we had a quite nice room and a pleasant stay for a good price. The reception was pleasant and ably staffed, and both check-in and ?out were fast and easy. After reading through their room information, we requested and received a winery map. Again, after asking, we received a few tasting vouchers (usually good for 2-for-1 tastings) at a couple of wineries. A pleasant exchange with the staff went a long way. The so-called villas on the Tuscan side undoubtedly are much nicer than the other section of the hotel, which is a bit more squeezed in with smaller rooms. The rooms on the Tuscan side (2-story with an elevator) are arranged around a central courtyard with a hot tub. The pool and hot tub for the entire hotel is in an area adjacent to the parking area, and it was always busy with lots of kids (the hotel appeared very full based on the parking lot). Our room had a small patio with a small table and 2 chairs. The patio looks out onto the courtyard, but it also looks out onto the walkway or patios for the other rooms, so there is no privacy on your patio. There are security doors at each entry to the Tuscan complex that you access with your room key. There was a small entry area to the room that was adjacent to the outer section of the bathroom, which consisted of a double vanity and a large whirlpool bath. There was a pocket door to the interior of the bathroom, which housed a toilet and tiny shower in a closet area. There was not much privacy since our pocket door was broken and there are louvers from the vanity/tub area into the bedroom. Fortunately, we were just a couple and the lack of privacy was not a big issue. There was a king bed with 2 nightstands, a safe, coffee maker (no tea), chair with an ottoman, a dresser area with a small refrigerator, and a desk with a chair. Amenities were fine, including robes, a couple of free waters, and free WiFi (at least with Best Western membership). There was a large, fully operational TV, and a gas fireplace. The room was definitely showing wear and tear, but it was functional (except for the bathroom pocket door). We found the bed very comfortable, and had no issues with noise from rowdy guests on either of two nights, despite our stay being over a weekend. We even slept with the sliding glass door to the courtyard open so we could hear the soothing murmur of the fountain outside in the courtyard. We did hear a few people get loud, but just for a short time, so we could understand if there was a wedding party in the courtyard, it would be very loud in all the rooms. Outside the Tuscan block, there was a nice firepit and table/chairs that made for a cozy gathering place in the evening to talk over a bottle of wine. On the Friday night we were there, there was a wine tasting at 4 or 4:30 in the Tuscan area, although it did not seem well publicized. As noted in other reviews, the breakfast is merely adequate. There is a large room in the Tuscan area for the entire hotel, so it gets very busy with lots of people and kids. It is the usual continental style offerings with coffee/tea, juice, muffins, bagels, a waffle machine, a pancake machine (that wasn't working), yogurt, fruit, and pastries. The hot offering was the same both mornings: instant scrambled eggs and sausage links. One morning was enough for us, so we skipped the second morning and had lunch in town. All in all, we could recommend this hotel for its price in wine country, realizing that you could get unlucky with a noisy party, particularly on the weekend.

    « Luxurious midweek stay »

Landed at the Dry Creek Inn during a NoCal job search. Got a beautiful spacious king room with fireplace and jacuzzi, plush linens, beautiful courtyard. Quiet and great price due to the off-season (November). Staff was friendly and complimentary breakfast had lots of variety. Convenient location right off Hwy 101 makes it minutes from anywhere in Napa/Sonoma wine country. Wild Sage Delicatessen across the street provides wonderful deli-style meals and bottles of wine. Healdsburg is one of my favorite cities in the area, full of restaurants and shops. I will stay at the Dry Creek Inn the next time I am in town.

    « Large, comfy room »

Delighted with the king-size bed with extra area with a love seat and desk. Plenty of outlets. Loved the external opaque sliding door between sleeping area and bathroom. It allowed a soft, diffused light for our sleeping hours and added privacy. Next to Hwy. 101 with easy access to downtown Healdsburg. Good value with on-site restaurant and full breakfast.

« A little taste of faux Tuscany in California Wine Country »

I am not sure why this place earned such negative reviews from others. As a frequent guest of Best Western, I would rate this hotel as representative of an unusual, but good representative of the chain. The room was clean and comfortable. There are two buildings, the older three story building and the newer, "Tuscan" building. I requested and was assigned a first floor dog friendly room. The dog charge was a whopping $30, but paled in comparison to the $50 for the Tuscan building. My dog got a few toys and a collapsible water bowl for her fare. The breakfast was Best Western ordinary- lots of carbs, bagels, waffles, etc. and horrible scrambled eggs

« A Little Noisy, but Otherwise Fine Place »

Check-in was quick and easy. Wi-fi was very good. Never used TV/cable. Noisy neighbors could easily be heard through the thin walls. Breakfast area nice and roomy with plenty of seating. Menu items were a tad limited, but most common breakfast items available and good quality.

« Good for what we needed »

Really basic hotel, nothing spectacular, but it worked for our needs. Can't speak to the price as we were in town for a wedding and this was the hotel they had picked for the guests so we got a group rate. Regardless, it was really nicely located with some great wineries close by and not far from the center of Healdsburg. We walked home one night and it was pretty long - wouldn't recommend the walk, but you could call an Uber. The room was comfortable enough, a good size, and clean, but we weren't there for the hotel. It's the motel style place so your window looks out onto the walkway which i hate, but again, we weren't there for the hotel. Not sure if other rooms have different views. Breakfast was good though, eggs, meats, breads. Nice to have that included so we could start our day and not have to think about it. Since this was the hotel for the wedding we didn't look around at other options, but if we were to come back, I might stay here again for the price and the location.

    4
« Good hotel for the price »

Our stay in the Toscana building was exactly what we were looking for - a comfortable, clean place to stay while on a wine tasting trip. This hotel might not have the ambiance of some of the other Healdsburg hotels, but the location and price were spot on (we were more interested in spending money on wine). We will definitely stay at this property again if we visit again.

    « Thanksgiving weekend 2015 »

Go off season and stay in the Villas instead. Rates on Travelzoo as of 12/1/15 go to around $90, versus over $180 with taxes. Much nicer stay in the Spring and the town of Healdsburg is lovely with plenty of wineries near by.

    « Good value but..... »

Takeaways: 1 Old wing of hotel is getting decrepit 2 Front desk needs much more training just to come up to average. 3. Cleaning staff must learn how to knock on doors- and not just walk in 4 Staff has to learn to keep their word if they are going to give it. Not doing so makes them look incompetent. 5 any rooms near the lobby up to the maids service area- should be avoided 6. Cleaning staff needs to learn what silence or do not disturb means 7 Breakfasts are so blah they should give up. Especially with a captive restaurant next door. 8 They need a dedicated poop spot for pets. 9 The cleaning staff looks disheveled and slovenly- not an image you want to give to guests. They should adopt a dress standard similar to the front desk - which while not spectacular is much neater and presentable. Compared to some of the other hotels in the immediate area this Best Western is a good value - although pricier than a lot of the other Best Western's I have stayed at. My expectations however, were that this one would be at least as good as most of the others. ANd I was kind of disappointed. I travel Best Westen almost exclusively simply becasue they usually treat me and my service dog right. Here all the way from checkin to check out it was just a little bit off on everything. CHECKIN: There were at least 10 people in the small lobby and more piling in every minute. Instead of triaging the situation the clerks in front did the "standard" meet and greet with everyone- taking all the ime in the world- thus making for an annoying wait. It would have been far simpler to take one person and put them on map and information duty for those of us who wanted it, and simply rapidly checked in everyone else. SO I got to hear the same standard spiel 4 times before I got to check in- I had mentioned i was bringing my service dog, but they acted surprised and just a little curt - yet when i later walked around the grounds there were at least 5 other families with dogs - as pets. When i went back later on that afternoon and asked them where the dog area was, the people on the desk- "Oh we don't have one - just walk around or you can use the back corner of the lot. This became the most non pet friendly encounter i have had at a Best Western. It urns out there were no poop bags, or places to curb the dog except everywhere, which I saw happening. It was kind of unsanitary for dogs just ot pee and poop anywhere but they did. On the second day i mentioned that it was kind of weird they didnt have poop bags and the desk clerk on the second day brought out a "pet bag" full of dog goodies including poop bags a water dish etc etc which was very nice and more in line with what normally see happening at Best Westerns. He was surprised the first clerk did not give me a welcome bag or any poop bags or anything. Anyway the room was king of old and tired - not enough light or electrical outlets, and the ones they had were in strange places- ie a light right behind the tv, a single ceiling lght in an unprotected socked as you come in, and only that ceiling light worked from the switch. The room was musty, but otherwise had enough basic space, with a n ottoman chair,. The bedspreads had some smudge marks on them - but i didn't worry about it- you may. The bathroom was subdivided- one side for washing up and one side for showers and toilet. The toilet side was as cramped as a telephone booth. If anyone was sitting on the commode and someone else opened the door it would take the first person's knees off. Also my bugaboo is mold since i have allergies to it. Well it was there around the tub, in the cracks on the floor etc. 5 minutes with bleach would fix it but i guess they had better things to do. Also the shower was installed backwards. The hot water was on the right and the cold on the left -- makes waiting for hot water interesting until you decide to try the controls the wrong way. There is no fan in the bathroom so moisture builds up and flakes the paint off you can see all this in pictures. In fact there is no heat in the bathroom so you have to go to the front of the room - crank up the heat - wait and when the whole room is too hot to stand in= then the heat works its way back to the bathroom- not their finest moment. sofar so good- all minor quibbles i find almost everywhere i go- best western or not. However the real kickers came with the trying to sleep. The whole room was vibrating and i called the front desk and they said that these huge industrial grade washing machines were on the other side of the wall. I asked why in hell they would even put people in such a room - no answer. - it was literally like trying ot sleep on a HUMMING, vibrating table. When i asked if they could move me- they could for an upcharge ---= not good business. SO basically do not stay on either the first or second floor of the old wing in any room on the side near the lobby, Once you get on the other side of that you might have a chance. Did they bother to tell anyone on check in ?? no. Did they seem to care once i told them- No. They said they had rooms in the new wing available for about 50 dollars more but they only had one bed -- none with the two beds We like.. Since i was basically there for family and friends and didnt want to spend much time in the hotel i just let it go - but after two nights of no sleep being vibrated to death - i am kind of crabby - so take this with that in mind. Free breakfast is worth exactly what it costs. IF you don't like pork you are totally out of luck for decent protein. The eggs look like pebbles and could only have come from prepared eggs or dried eggs - You couldn't cook them any worse than if you burned them. The rest of the meal was nothing but sugar fat and other carbs ( muffins, bread, coffee, more muffins, pancakes, waffles, sugary drinks - some yogurt -which is nice but also has lots of sugar.) I tried it once and gave up and ate in Healdsburg the second day. With so many excellent restaurants less than 2 miles away you would think they would try harder. The cleaning staff decided it was ok to just walk in and they did- we were getting dressed so if they saw something they can't unsee they deserve it . We told them we would be 15 minutes or so getting finished - and were - and then took off for a few hours. When we came back the room still had not been cleaned and they waited again until we started to get changed to barge in. This time we said yes go ahead clean it - which they did, but the vacuum still left pieces of stuff on the ground, and the cleanup was rather perfunctory 5 minutes in and out -jeez. Further they straightened the dirty bed cover rather than replace it. If you choose to do a job then do it well, don't justify bad work because you don't like the pay, the boss, whatever. Television had no closed caption so nothing you can do with one sleeper and one awake except suggest earplugs or stare at the ceiling. There were not enough outlets around the room or light and some of the decor was literally pinned together. One of the throw pillows on the bed was torn at the corners and had safety pins holding it together. This place could be so much more and i get the sense they might actually want to try and get there- but they are a long way from excellence as it stands. Finally- we left and my wife left a mouse in the room. I calledl 2 hours out on the road and asked them to go check before the next people moved in. The person that answered lsot and found told me she would check and call me back. -NOTHING. when I called back lost and found was "closed" I talked to the front desk and was told some one would call me a soon as hey checked - NOTHING- I called back the next morning and they did not check until i actually got the manager who checked lost and found and will check when the other people move out- so far no call back - its like deja vu all over again . Just lots of missed opportunities for them to shine where instead they chose the opposite.

    « Perfect match for the non-picky »

PREFACE: I am a firm believer in spending on experiences and not hotels. We almost never use amenities due to our trip itineraries but appreciate the time saving conveniences a hotel offers. Notes: This was a clean place to call our short vacation home away from home. The location was convenient to wineries - the whole reason one comes here, right? The free breakfast was sufficient and wifi was "fast" though you did have to login over and over again due to timeout. We stayed in the newer Toscana building while there was a cheerleading group there for competition so things were a bit loud outside at the pool with adolescents about. That, along with inaccurate tv service (we were supposed to have HBO but got Showtime ... no biggie) are the only minor changes complaints. Recommend.

« Good Hotel, Convenient Location »

We prefer B&Bs in wine country, but due to the Wine and Food Affair weekend (which we weren't aware of when we booked), there were limited options. I had read some negative comments on TA after we booked, but didn't think they were warranted: 1. complaints about the breakfast - folks, this a Best Western, not a quaint little inn. The breakfast selection was ample. If you don't like powdered eggs, go for the yogurt. (The bacon was perfect!) 2. Police cars - I was concerned about this, but there's a diner in the same parking lot area and they had made a stop. Pros - very clean rooms, comfortable beds, walking distance to downtown Healdsburg (a little over a mile along the Foss Creek path, great if you like to walk; a $5-6 Uber ride back), perfect base for Dry Creek, Alexander Valley, and Russian River wineries. Cons - pillows weren't as comfortable as the rest of the bed. Also the staff wasn't as knowledgeable as they should have been re: shipping wine home. (It seems like an obvious inquiry to a hotel in wine country.) They gave us two options - one wasn't even open on Saturdays. We later learned about Fitch Mountain Packaging (which was fantastic.) When I provided the person at the front desk with their info for future visitors, he said thanked me, but said he had never heard of them.

« Wonderful service for wedding block »

We recently had a block of 30 rooms reserved at Dry Creek Inn for our son's wedding guests. From the first contact with Sarah Krug, group coodinator, to our guests' stays at the property, the service was outstanding. Sarah was responsive when guests needed to modify room stays ahead of arrival and kept me in the loop when changes occurred. The room block contract was very clear and provided a nice alternative to the need for guaranteed rooms booked that other hotels had in their contract. When we needed a place to assemble our Welcome Bags, Sarah gladly offered their lobby. The front desk staff then noted the number of bags to be given out per room and happily handed them out as our guests arrived. And the Welcome Bag handouts were handled with no extra charge- tough to find in trendy Healdsburg. Our guests said their stay at the property was perfect. Front desk was happy to provide suggestions for transport into town, things to do and having breakfast included plus a wine tasting was a welcome treat. Only criticism we head was the breakfast room was a bit crowded and loud in the morning. Thank you all at Dry Creek Inn for making our guests feel right at home when they were away from home.

    « Just ok.. »

The front desk needs training on customer service. The office is closed at night and doesn't reopen until 7:00 am. This is a large motel and very surprised about the closing. Have never stayed at a Best Western that didn't have the front desk available at night. The breakfast was not very good and everything seemed to be microwaved. The waffle maker was the best part. For the price their maybe better options available.

« Great hotel, Less than helpful staff »

I never thought I'd stay at a Best Western, but it actually came recommended by a friend. The hotel itself (okay, yes it's a motel), is actually nice - the room was very clean, the breakfast was great (muffins, waffles, pancakes, eggs, cereal) and wine tasting was a plus! However, the front desk staff leaves something to be desired. They were very UNhelpful with answering our questions about town and how to get around. Apparently there are only 3 taxis in the town (2, depending on who you ask) with wait times of 1-3 hours. Ubers are also difficult to come by and the hotel doesn't offer a shuttle service to downtown (I'm not even sure they know what shuttle service is - they were confused when I asked). We booked this hotel not knowing that transportation to the vineyards would be tough. We ended up booking an uber (an hour wait) which arrived at 2 and he was kind enough to take us to 3 vineyards and stop the charges while we went in for tastings while he hung out in the parking lot. The wineries mainly closed at 5 so we were only able to hit 3, but it was fun regardless. Walking to town is easy - about a mile down a walking path (it's dark at dimly lit at night), but otherwise fine. This hotel was well worth the money, but not sure I'd stay here again if I were to head to sonoma/vineyards on another visit.

    « Very nice accomodations »

The property was well maintained. We stayed in one of the rooms with a fireplace and tub with a small balcony overlooking the pool area. There were several nice outdoor areas to lounge. Our room was very clean and comfortable.Breakfast was served downstairs which consisted of coffee, juice, eggs, bacon and pastries.

    « Nice, but not a 5 star »

This was a nice solid motel, but basically standard accommodations. It had a nice pool and hot tub area, and the morning free breakfast was above average. The workout area was pretty skimpy, though. I'd stay again for the right price.

« Surly front desk staff makes guest feel unwelcome »

If you are put off by front desk staff who make you feel unwelcome, then you may want to stay at a different hotel. I reserved my room at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn through Priceline, looking forward to a restful bed in the middle of an 800-mile drive. The front desk claimed I had reserved a Smoking room, which I would never reserve, and then tried to upsell me into a more expensive room. She deflected the Smoking room issue as my problem with Priceline, when my confirmation email from Priceline said nothing about a Smoking room. This front desk staff person was either poorly trained and managed, or is in the wrong job for her character and capabilities. Either way, management of the Best Western Dry Creek Inn is doing customers a significant disservice by having someone in the position of greeting guests who is more interested in creating unnecessary conflict and power tripping than in providing the simple service of checking in a road-weary guest to the room reserved.

« Worked for our group trip »

Six couples booked rooms here for a one night stay when we were in the area for a dinner event. We didn't know to request rooms in the newer building (Villa Toscana?) so we were all in the older 'motel'. Clean, and functional, but a bit long in the tooth. The included breakfast was actually pretty good. We all had plenty of options, including scrambled eggs and bacon, (self) made waffles, a pancake machine, muffins, yogurt, fruit, coffee and juice, etc.

    « Very misleading advertising »

Their advertising on the internet makes you think this is a hotel since they describe themselves as an "Inn". The photos make you think it's in a lovely wine country setting. It's at a corner between another motel and a gas station - a major highway and a side street. I call this a Motel. Dark and dreary hallways - lighting doesn't come on until dark and our room (233) was in a dark little crevice of the motel. The room was awful - old and out dated - hideous views and loud, dirty A/C unit. We asked for a better room when we checked in and were told there were none. Yet we saw many empty rooms as we walked down the hallways. Most other rooms had proper bathrooms and sitting areas. We did not. I think this is what they give to people who use hotel booking sites. UGH! It should be walled off from the rest of the motel or used as a storage area. Upon checkout, I complained. There was a gentleman standing behind the clerks who quickly vanished when he heard me. I know he was the manager. Then the clerk told me the manager was not in yet and to call him or email him the next day. Bogus! I was so sorry we had booked this place because I was looking at another closer to Sonoma and should have done that instead. The free breakfast was awful - typical microwave food - not even worth eating. That room was so small and cramped that it could not accommodate it's guests. Hard and lumpy mattress on a metal box frame. I kept banging my feet into it when I got into bed. One of the worst disappointments in a hotel stay. We even talked to a different manager who contacted us regarding our survey and they still did not apologize for the awful room. Pathetic!

    « Somewhat Disappointing »

The pictures on the website make this hotel look quite charming and interesting. But, it truly is just a motel. It is so close to 101 and major streets that our room was pretty noisy in the early morning. We picked this place because the hotels right in downtown Healdsburg are so expensive and I thought this was close enough to walk into town. It's actually about a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the town square and shops and restaurants. And, normally a walk that distance doesn't both me, but the street was unlit at night and made for a rather precarious walk into town. We took a cab back. On the plus side, the room rate does include a free breakfast of pastries, yoghurt, scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage, etc. Service was friendly.

« Overpriced Best Western in Healdsburg »

Villa Toscana is best for rooms facing the courtyard. Rooms are clean but quite dark. AC packed it up at 9.00pm. Tech came to fix it and removed the air filter who was absolutely plugged with filthy dirt (2' thick!!). Guess it had never been cleaned. Could not fix it. Had to move to another room at 10 pm !! Do not eat breakfast there. It is one of the worse I had in all BW. As to the staff both on check in and check out I think they should try to get a job where they don't have to deal with customers.....I doubt I will ever go back to this overpriced hotel.

    « A great group retreat! »

Our group held a weekend retreat at the Dry Creek Inn and we had an amazing time. The facility is well designed with fountains and seating areas in abundance. The rooms are modern and with great taste and the personnel went above and beyond!

    2
    « Disappointing »

Hotel was not close to the town as described. The rooms are clean and up to date, but they are so dark. This is truly a motel. The breakfast was disgusting--all packaged foods of poor quality. I have decided I am not staying at any hotels in the future that offer breakfast and don't have an official restaurant.

    3
    « A More Upscale Best Western »

This hotel is a slight step above most Best Western hotels I have stayed in. The Villa Toscana building was nice. I had a large room with an interior courtyard view. I stayed at this hotel because it was recommended by a local resident, and it was convenient for the purpose of my visit. The breakfast was mediocre. I went to breakfast in the dining room once, and that was enough. The air conditioner was erratic and a light in the bathroom would turn on by itself at odd times. The hotel is not that expensive and worth the value.

    4
« Good Value in Healdsburg »

Villa Toscana is the superior building. First floor rooms open out directly to the spa. The reconstituted eggs at breakfast are abominable. Rooms are nice, but the location is a little far from the center of town.

« great motel in a great town »

we love Healsdsburg, and this is a very nice motel in a good location at affordable prices, It can become an important element in an enjoyable trip to wine country. One of our favorite times to visit is in the fall. When the colors change in the vineyards, Sonoma County is even more beautiful than usual and it usually is very beautiful.

    « Dont do it »

This hotel i very run down. Ive stayed at BW before at different locations and have been pleasantly surprised to have an amazing, clean, bright, and comfortable room. This was the opposite...disappointing at best. Fruit flies here and there, dark, humid and dingy room with a tiny bathroom and cheap towels. The towels will exfoliate your skin, which is probably one food thing. We had a king bed, And the room seemed fairly clean. Breakfast was typical. This hotel feels more like a motor inn. Quite the contrast from such a picturesque town. The rates are overpriced. I canmot see how a room is over $90 a night. The service was good. But we met people who also were devastated with the accommodations. My advice, if you cannot stay at a 4 star in Healdsburg, stay at one in Santa Rosa. The drive is better than staying in a dump. Btw the travelodge accross the road looks even worse. Dry creek inn- renovate, PLEASE.

    2
    « Don't do it »

Total disappointment. The only good thing was that it was clean. Rooms need renovating. Staff not very friendly. Three police cars in lot and people being evicted next door. Breakfast mediocre. Great location though.

« Over priced for the value »

Cons: *Hotel way over priced - its not a luxury nor boutique hotel by any means *Even though we had three guests in our room, they supplied only two towels and one hand towel. We had to call every day for more. They were very quick to respond with more towels but why can't you supply based on number of guests to eliminate frustration. *Front desk staff was just short of rude. When I asked to change rooms because the shower was not working, the lady said, "have you reported it? have you reported it? have you reported it?" three times. *The soap and shampoo were very cheap. Glad I had my own. Also one tiny bar of soap for sink and shower. Not good. *The shower did not work in our room. We called to report and maintenance did come quickly. He got a tiny stream to come out and said it was fixed. We asked for a new showerhead. He could not supply it that night but came back the next day to install a new one. It worked perfectly after the replacement. *The walls are very thin and you can hear voices and noises through the walls. Halls were noisy until well after midnight. *The a/c did cool but roars like a truck engine all the time. Very old system. *Free breakfast...OK, but you probably want to consider going elsewhere if you want more than a bagel. The breakfast was second rate at best. Very chaotic situation and not clean. *The TV sound was awful. The volume has a control on it so it will only operate in the ranges they have designated. it was either too loud or too low. Healdsburg has a great downtown area with some good restaurants. Highly recommend Boci. This hotel has a nice location with adequate parking. Too far to walk to downtown when its dark and you don't know the city. The front desk staff was unable to recommend things to do in the city. This hotel is WAY overpriced. It is by no means a luxury or boutique hotel.

« Disappointment, to say the least »

This stay was probably the biggest rip off I've had in a while. Not only was the hotel nothing like pictured, it was a building badly in need of updating. We actually circled the town a few times and couldn't believe this is the same place we booked. If I had known, we would have stayed in Sebastopol where we had stayed at a Best Western before with far better service. Unfriendly staff, ugly hallways, scary actually, especially at night. Exterior hallways are exposed to the parking lot and accessibility is very poor. We chose to be on the first floor so we could have a patio. I would never sit on the patio as the furniture is so uncomfortable. In fact the inviting courtyard furniture is old and run down. The cushions desperately need replacing. My husband actually killed a mouse in the corridor. Now we live in the country, so mice don't offend me much, but when I'm paying over $200 a night, I expect much more. This was totally not worth the price and solidifies the reason I hate staying in this hotel chain. The room had been updated, but a tiny shower next to a jetted tub was not worth it and if I had known this was what I was getting, I would have spent the money toward a nicer spa room in a number of other towns in wine country. The breakfast was mediocre. Again unfriendly staff. Kind of sad. Good thing we only had to deal with one night here. I think the courtyard has a lot of potential if it were taken care of and the corridors were not so creepy.

    « Meh »

Nice staff, hotel needs a renovation. Pictures over-advertise what is actually the premises. Check-in and check-out were easy, parking is free and readily available. Room carpet was dirty, beds not highly comfortable. The breakfast was a cattle stampede with mediocre food. But again the staff service was impeccable.

« Don't Stay Here if you need rest! »

Don't bother being upgraded to the Tuscan Building on a weekend night. So many groups stay here for weddings etc and they party in the courtyard all night. We stayed in room 401 and the party was right outside our patio door until 2:00 am. According to the front desk the noise is supposed to stop at 10:00 but it doesn't! After repeated calls to the front desk I finally gave up and put in ear plugs.

    « Great! »

Beautiful rooms, very spacious. Stuff not that friendly but I did appreciate that they could check us in super early (11am!) The rooms was great, beds super comfy with lots of pillows and spacious bathroom. Skipped breakfast as my friend said it was very appetising. Would stay again as its a beautiful area.

« Drug deals going on in the parking lot, bugs, run down property. »

Absolute nightmare. We were planning on staying for a few nights to enjoy the regions wineries. Our first room smelled like sewage, and after attempting to take a shower, I was standing in a large puddle of sewage in the tub! I called the front desk and spoke to Hanna who told me she was very busy with guests checking in, and she would have to get back to me. Later she called back to the room and in a very curt rude tone informed me that a maintenance person would be there at some point to "take a look". All we wanted was a clean, sewage free room. I asked if we could please switch to another room because the smell was very offensive. She said only if I paid an "upgrade fee". Unbelievable. She refused to provide another room without us paying until I walked over to the lobby and with a few other customers in the area I asked her again if I could please have a clean room sans sewage. She then said only after we removed all of our belongings from the old room, and have the maintenance person inspect to see if we damaged the room! I am a world traveler, and I can tell you I have never had a hotel employee treat me in such a disrespectful manner. We left the next day. I will not be staying a Best Western again. In Healdsburg there are so many BETTER places to stay that are much better located, do not have the drug lords and homeless running the parking lot, and keep the facilities clean.

    « Very Nice »

We only stayed one night on a one week trip to SFO and back by car. Cycled the area and left to carry on to our next destination. The hotel is beautiful rooms are nice. Our first room had a strange smell they quickly gave us another room no problem that room was good. Would stay in this hotel again. Not too crazy about the downtown area of healdsburg most of the restaurants are small plates so if you want a meal it was difficult to find a nice place to have a full meal. Ended up at a pub type of restaurant in order to have a full meal instead of small plates.

« Beware of Casa Siena rooms! »

When we looked on the website, all the promotional photos showed the lovely courtyard and amenities in the Tuscan y building. Little did we know that when we booked a "deluxe" king room, it was in the Casa Siena building, which is basically an almost-upscale motel. NOT the lovely wine country inn depicted in the website. So when we inspected the room, and saw that it was dark and had a view of the freeway and parking lot, we promptly when downstairs and asked to be moved to the Tuscany building. The clerk at the desk refused, saying the rooms in the Tuscany building were all booked for the 3rd night of our stay, but if we wanted to move for tonight and tomorrow only, we would have to move to Casa Siena motel building on Saturday. I had no interest in having to unpack tonight, only to have to re-pack up all our clothing and personal items and downgrade for the final night of ur stay. To add insult to injury, I just went on their website and they show availability in the Tuscany building for Saturday night. We would never have picked this hotel had we known we'd basically be paying wine country inn rates for a basic, one-star motel (Casa Siena building). I will never stay here again.

« Typical modern Best Western - which means nice »

We have stayed here on 3 occasions now. Rooms are modern and large and clean. 1.1 miles from downtown, so a little long to walk to dinner, but there's a great local cab that was $8 each way. It fact he was at the curb when we came out from dinner, very nice. Get number from front desk. Hotel has a very nice large pool (and a smaller, original one) and spa. There is complimentary wine tasting 4-6p THU/FRI.

    4
« Great Location to downtown Square »

Hotel was clean and we were able to check in early. Great location for downtown Healdsburg shopping and wine tastings Breakfast was not up to Best Western's normal standards. Go east breakfast on the Square at Costeaux French Bakery. yummy!! They do breakfast and lunch.

« Nothing like the pictures. »

The pictures made this hotel look amazing. The hotel room itself was very clean and on the larger size. However, the hotel is hard to navigate. It is off of a busy highway. The fire pit was fun but, not as idyllic as the pics suggest.

« Best Western Healdsburg, Ca. »

Pleasant, large rooms, clean, stayed in mini suite of Tuscan inner court area rather than the main rooms on the front of hotel...Would definitely stay there instead of lower priced rooms. The mini suite is definitely a nicer stay...

« Great location to wineries and downtown Healdsburg »

October rates in the wine country are SO expensive but I found Best Western about one week before our trip and cancelled another hotel I booked in a not so ideal location. Glad I did! Awesome location to downtown, gas, grocery store across the street and the highway to get to the wineries! Very nice breakfast however the dining room was a bit small and crowded depending on when you go to eat. Great romantic rooms! We had a balcony and would hit a couple wineries come back to the room for wine, cheese, bread and fruit lunch. The shower was small though but loved the two sinks and big bed.

« clean, comfortable, affordable stay in wine country »

spent 4 nights at this hotel. this is not a posh wine country getaway but doesnt pretend to be. room was clean with good shower. beds were comfortable. pools, hot tubs etc available but didnt come to the dry creek valley to hang out at the pool! the location of the inn perfect for access to the wonderful wineries of dry creek, russian river and alexander valleys. healdsburg square with its great restaurants and tasting rooms just a short drive (or long walk/ uber) away. big johns market one block away for snacks and forgotten items. no hassles with check in/ check out. friendly staff. service extended to mailing a beloved but forgotten sweater after check out. this attention to customer service demands a special thanks to the housekeeping and front desk staffs. if you are looking for a clean, comfortable affordable headquarters for sonoma county wine touring that also throws in a hot and varied breakfast , you found it at the best western dry creek inn.

« Nice rooms and location for the price »

Excellent location for planning to hit local wineries and a quick drive down the street from downtown Healdsburg. Room was clean and seemed recently refurbished, as did some of the hotel exterior. The staircases, hallways, and elevator give the impression of a lower-quality, outdated hotel and the ever-present smell of cigarette smoke from people lighting up just outside their rooms was pretty gross. Try to get a room facing away from the main street, as it sounded like we were in a truck stop in the morning. Though the pools are awkwardly placed in the middle of the parking lot, once inside the area, they are clean and pleasant.

    4
    « Nice hotel. »

We enjoyed our stay, room was clean, bed was comfortable, bath in good repair. Hotel staff was friendly and pleasant to talk too. Breakfast was pretty much standard, hot and cold, but had better at other best westerns.

    « Great Value »

We stayed here with 2 other couples for a quick trip. The rooms were very nice and very clean, bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was helpful and knowledgable about the area. We had a great stay only complaint was the free breakfast, not worth the trip to the breakfast room.

    3
« Best Western, Best Avoided »

Hotel pics are old and hotel is tired. Mold on tub control, did not drain, shower curtain had holes in it. Well known by locals to not be in the building away from the fire pit. Add stated robes for guest but not in our building when we checked in. Disappointed and the front desk was rude and unhelpful when we asked.

« Best Value in Wine Country »

You can't beat this hotel for the price. It is clean, beds are very comfortable and staff is friendly. Breakfast is included in a very large room- plenty of tables for everyone. The location is just minutes from downtown Healdsburg- try Willie's Seafood and Raw Bar. Beds and pillows were so comfortable- great night's sleep. Only minutes from Ferrari Carrano- a must on your winery tour list. What more could you ask for?
