Best Western Plus Forest Park Inn

Quick trip to Gilroy and San Jose, room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hot and tasty, and it changed daily which was nice. Plenty of restaurants and convivence stores local as well. Selection of TV changes was also a nice feature.

The receptionist was really nice, I got a ground floor room, close to my car so I didn't have to carry all of my stuff far. Nice feather pillows. The bed would have been really comfortable, and I really wanted to lay down on it, but an injury prevents me from laying down. That is reflected in my rating for sleep quality. It was not the fault of the bed, it seemed wonderful, soft and comfortable.. I looked at it longingly.

When we initially arrived, we wanted to kick off our shoes and relax in the room... which wasn't really an option due to the dirty gritty state of the floors. Seeing chickens outside the entrance and being woken up by roosters was interesting. Left the first day after check-in around noon and came back at night to... the hotel room exactly how we left it (undone bed, trash in can, etc). I've stayed at expensive hotels and cheap motels and I always came back to a made up room, so this was an unpleasant first. By the last day of the trip, my child was coming down with something and since checkout wasn't until 11am, we thought we'd sleep in a bit. Such wasn't to be the case since shortly after 8am, the staff was banging on the door to come clean. After quickly going over to tell them to knock it off, they left and I thought I could try to get the kids, and myself, to sleep for a bit longer... but there's nothing like having to repeatedly get up and tell the staff to stop banging on the door every few minutes to really start the weekend morning in a sour mood. I spoke with the front desk at checkout and apparently, this is policy. Haven't stayed at any other hotel in Gilroy before, but I'm sure *any* of them will be better than this place.

OMG, there is some problem with the sewage system and the place is toxic level rank. I have never, ever smelled a worse stench than this. Similar to a landfill I think. It is literally painful and absolutely disgusting. The ac helps in the rooms, but the smell is still there. Call ahead and find out if this is resolved before you book. It's truly horrific. Also, don't drink the water. It cannot possibly be safe.

This was an awesome hotel to stay at. However, customer service was lacking when an error was made in reserving the room and the hotel refused to make it right. This was very frustrating. Refunds should be given when reservations are made less than 24 hours in advance.

Air conditioner cover fell off onto the floor. Security lock on the sliding door was coming unscrewed. Tub drain corroded, detached, and sitting on the edge of the tub. Tub water handle pulled completely off when turning on the water.

These rooms are very fairly priced and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and clean. There is no nasty musty odor in rooms like you have in other hotels. The breakfast was good enough to start your day not just muffins and juice.

Overall, breakfast was good several options, eggs, bacon, and even pastries. Room was comfortable and dark at night including the Keurig machine. Tried the hot tub and pool. Hot tub was very nice. Could've use some towels. Fairly centrally located, overall worked for the night would stay there again

Home away from home, monthly for 31 years. Only get's better. New and updated going on all the time. Beds are ultra comfy, linens the tops. Last visit had a new sofa in room. Breakfast was great, fruits, and new granola / yogurt option along with all the rest of the breakfast spread.

Room 326: Need to clear rooms of bed bugs. Based on looking at hotel reviews after my stay, seems like entire 3rd floor near room 326 are infested with bed bugs. Not sure if I or my 5-year old son was bitten, but wife have sensitive skin and was bitten by bed bugs. Hotel wasn't my first choice as I wanted a more modern and updated hotel, but was recommended by a family member. Regret my stay here and won't be staying here again.

The room was pretty basic but had what we needed and was clean. Keurig was nice to have and the family enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Sadly we didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked nice!

The hotel was great and the staff was amazing. The hotel is very centrally located and close to food options. Anytime anything was needed the staff was more than happy to help you out. 10/10 will stay again!!!

Great establishment, definitely an asset in helping bring the Best Western brand back to glory. While I did want to speak to someone to iron out a particular issue, they were reasonable in escalating to the proper channels without it becoming an issue. Thank you! This hotel is probably one of the better [as in cleaner & SAFER] than the other options we looked at in the the area. I have no qualms about booking again in the future.

I have lots of pictures. No AC reached the adjoining room so they just stood up a fan to blow hot air in there! Which my 5 year old kept wanting to play with. Kicked in bathroom door, Hole in ceiling over shower. Cracks all over the sink. The room is very small and feels filthy! Could not wait to get out of there. Also males arguing in the parking lot the night we were there. Room was not ready at 3:00.

Room was clean. They have breakfast every morning. The room was easily accessible. Plenty of space in the parking lot. AC unit worked good. Small fridge was cold. Decent restaurants not to far from the hotel.

The Forest Park Inn is a magical place with amazing, energetic and attentive staff. Free breakfast is included with your stay and is comprehensive with cooked, cold, and grab and go items to suit all needs and purposes. There is a free library with books to take, a heated pool, hot tub, spa, gym, laundry, and secure building to accommodate your every need. Weather staying a night or a month, this is definitely the best value and service for your dollar! I have been known to travel a good deal and I wish every place I booked was as much of a pleasant surprise as this was.

Stayed two nights. Hotel is pricey compared to those around. Expected more at this price, but property is quite aged and fittings are old fashioned and worn, example shower tap and Aircon is still using casement. Service is a letdown. They don't provide room service/ housekeeping when I requested for bath towels and toilet rolls, instead was told to get it from front desk which is another block away. Have not mentioned that this is winter/December and front desk is not linked to my block.

The staff was very kind and helpful with my check-in. My room was quiet and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast lounge had hot coffee with real cream and sugar and juices. I was happy to see that the breakfast had a couple of hot healthy choices along with pancakes, fruits, cold cereal, breads, pastries, and yogurt but disappointed I filled up on a plate full of fruit and breakfast burrito. I didn't have room to try anything else. Next time... I will start with a plate of pancakes!

This place was very family friendly and worked great for us and our kids in the family suite! The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had something for the adults and the kids and the attendants were great at keeping everything full.

Good position, personnel very kind, amazing breakfast , room are spacious, parking free, lobby Nice, near the outlet of Gilroy , near all restaurants for diner, near Walmart for food, and ice is available,

There was a bunch of black mold on the ceiling near the bathroom and in the bathroom, the sink was severely cracked, there was a big rust stain in the bottom of the toilet and the last day the bathtub was backing up and there was hair that did not belong to us and other debris floating in the backed up water. When I told the front desk they were not shock and no apology. Mayur Patel The General Manager is not responding to my email. I have notified the Health Department.

My family and I stayed here for one night. We were in town for a wedding and this Best Western was 20 minutes away from the venue. Check in was fast and front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. We didn't get to enjoy the pool or jacuzzi but I do want to share that in the morning I noticed that the people who were by the pool the night before left trash and there was a soda can floating in the pool so it made me not want to take my kids to the pool. We stayed in a suite and the bathroom doors didn't work properly, one of the doors wouldn't lock. Overall the room was clean. Breakfast had a good variety of selections. My favorite were the mini omelettes and potatoes. There was plenty of seating and area was kept clean. Breakfast staff made sure to keep items well stocked. I would stay at the hotel again if I was in the area.

We would stay there again - Good customer service and room was clean and comfortable. From the time we arrived at front desk, where we were greeted with a pleasant and easy check in. Housekeeping was helpful and wanted to please. The property was well kept, with the exception of pool area. Someone had left food on the tables and it was there for most of our stay, that would be my only negative comment.

I've stayed here several times a summer over the past 4-5 years for work. Absolutely no negatives at all. Reception is friendly and professional. Rooms are quiet and spacious. Love the balcony for fresh air. Rooms have always been ready when I check in, clean and comfortable. Key always works. Refrigerator and microwave always work. Shower is pathetic, but that's California requirements I'm sure. WiFi is great. I'm always out too early for the breakfast. Ice machine reliable. Convenient parking. Very easy access from Hwy 101. Nice to just walk over to Black Bear for supper. This BW hotel could give lessons to a lot of others!

We were there for six days and the service was good. We arrived a day early and they made every effort to give us a room. The next morning the desk lady was great and moved us out of our room and let us go into the prescheduled room. It was clean, nice and quiet. You could hardly hear anything. The cleaning staff was very accommodating. Front desk personal friendly and great suggestions for places to go to eat and shop. Great out of the way shops, reasonably priced.

Just okay not worth what the charge was per night would rather stay elsewhere especially with kids and due to covid . the food is not great I would rather go to mcdonalds which is not prefer since its best to get the food that is offered especially since I imagine thats added to the charge

First our key did not work and when it did work, the bathroom had not been flushed and looked disgusting like if had not been clean for a long time. We were switched to another room when I reported the problem. The new room looked fine but I got itchy in the blankets and found black speckles in between the sheets. Had to removed the dusty speckles. They had good coffee, fruit, pancakes for breakfast. Eggs and potatoes were not good. You have to ask for towels; they only put two large towels if two people staying and one miniature shampoo and conditioner. Don't expect they to your room. You have to ask them if you want your room done. Bed was comfortable and I wish sheets did not created itchiness . Location was great and not noisy.

On business trip and this was the hotel recommended by our travel program. Hotel was clean and easy to get to. Only complaint I have is a lot of items are not in operating order such as my toilet, soda machine, ice machine. There are some that are working just have to travel a bit to find them.

i always stay here. Very unhappy this time. The lobby computers were not working..When I inquired at the front desk, i was told that they have not been working for 3 months. Not good. The staff at the front desk were very nice, as usual.

I was most impressed by how quiet the hotel was. It's right next to a busy road, and you couldn't hear the traffic at all. Restaurant within the same parking lot was a nice bonus. Room was clean and staff was excellent.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Forest Park in for a couple of days when visiting family in Gilroy. It is very well located, near Hwy 101, and restaurants are close. The room was a good size and the service was always helpful and friendly. Standard breakfast with some eggs, toast, coffee and cereal for the kids.

I stayed 4 nights here for a convention not far from the hotel. The rooms were small but clean. The front desk staff were friendly and very polite. I had a 3rd floor room that faced the back parking lot that was told would be "quieter". The sliding glass door to the balcony offered no buffer from the sounds coming from the parking lot below. We could hear the conversations as if the slider was wide open, it wasn't, i checked multiple times. I woke up at 11pm one night to a dog barking non stop in the hallway and its owner yelling repeatedly for it to stop. Which it did about 5 minutes later. Another night i woke up to 1am laughing and singing. Drunk people coming back to their room i guess. I had no problems with the location but was told by locals its not an area you want to be out after dark in.

Terrific older hotel with great art in the halls & balconies for each room. The place was so quiet despite being close to the Interstate. There is an excellent restaurant adjacent to the property too.

Everyone from the front desk to breakfast staff to housekeeping showed genuine kindness and thoroughness. They were attentive and informative! I would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone visiting the garlic capitol of the world.

This Best Western was very close to the freeway with easy access, yet it did not seem to be in a busy, noisy area. Very pleasant entry that had elements of a nice hotel. Well designed for both security and easy room access at the same time.

Manger was very rude told me if I didn't like what he was doing to call 1800western. 2 nights in a roll bathroom toilet was clogged and would not flush. Maintenance went took me a plunger told me to do it myself. Had to ask for another room at 11 at night was moving my kids and myself. My 8 year old watched a couple have sec in the hot tub. Horrible experience overall

Front desk, maintenance, and cleaning staff were so kind and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and breakfast. We are thankful we could bring our dog with us. Location is so convenient and the weather was wonderful (thank you, Gilroy!) We will be back!!

We decided to drive an hour south of San Francisco for saving on hotel costs. Gilroy is in a nice distance, located at Hwy 101. We checked in at the Best Western Plus Hotel. This turned out to be a really good choice. The rooms where nice and large, The breakfast place was large, the visitors had the ability to seat nicely distanced for COVID protection. The empyees have been wearing their masks properly. This place was really great, we would choose it again.

Hot tub was not working , but the pool was heated . Halls and rooms were clean. Shower did not have a lip or edge so water got all over the bathroom, but thats the only negative thing. I liked the balconies that come with each room.

Desk employees were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Asked for a extra blanket and it arrived soon after. Bed was so comfortable. Hotel right off the freeway. There was also decaf coffee pods in the room. Restaurant next to hotel is excellent. They had a great breakfast menu.

Super helpful staff. Convenient location in town. Get a map if you don't know the roads, as some don't go through. Some nighttime noise from late night drag racers on surface streets and Highway 101. Boys will be boys.

We had a room with a fireplace which was nice during the storm. Halls are freezing so wear a sweater. And parking lot is large but not for trucks or semis regardless of what whoever answers the phone says. This hotel is nice and breakfast was good but we won't return due to staff and the wait breakfast staff talked to my husband.

I had a bad experience. My tv in our room would not work. We had not audio at all. We had one light fixture not working next to our bed, and our Refrigerator was not working at first come to find out it was unplugged in the back.

We were totally satisfied with this hotel! Front desk asked if 3rd floor was ok and at first I wasn't excited because you always have to take the elevator/stairs, but there was a skylight the entire length of the hallway and it was so light and airy! Plus our room faced the west so we could enjoy the beautiful fall sunshine on our veranda. Beautiful room and the separate toilet/shower area was nice so the sink and mirror could be used by others (we traveled with our 19 yr. old daughter). Good breakfast and would stay here again if we are in the area.

We were amazed at how large, clean, and nice the room was. Modern and comfortable. Had microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker.. It all looked brand new. Black Bear Diner was next door and made food to go.

I stayed here with a friend for the Norcal Renaissance Faire Oct 15-17. We had 2 queen beds on the 3rd floor. Clean spacious room. Comfy beds. Lovely shower. Super reasonable prices. Staff was personable. The breakfast was okay and convenient. All around great experience. Would stay here again for sure.

Loved staying here. Pool is 3-4 feet deep and perfect for families of kids, big enough for games, deep enough for laps, warm enough to swim at night! Salt water! Crystal clear not over chlorinated. Hot tub was hot and big and delightful. Night time swimming under clear Gilroy sky. Breakfast was adorable. Pancake machine, nice muffins (not the crummy packaged kind), reportedly the eggs and sausages were great. Good coffee! It's rare we actually *eat* the free breakfast but this one was fun and great! QUIET safe hotel. Folks were settled in by 10, and there was a new baby next door but rooms are quiet enough that earplugs blocked it out totally. We got a great room on first floor with a cute porch and a view of the pool and just LOVED it. Bathrooms were new and clean, bed mattresses had sanitary covers on them, sheets and covers were fresh, pillows were comfy, not too hard not too soft… air conditioning in the room was perfect temperature and machines were quiet — not that loud AC that makes freezing wet air. Internet fast enough to stream Netflix from iPad (bring an HDMI connector!) and TV—awesome. Kids had fun watching movie on new big TV. Fridge was big! Microwave clean. Front desk staff adorable with cute cookies at check in. I love love love this hotel, we will be back!!!

We arrived here feeling weary on the last night of a cross-country road trip and did not have high expectations due to mixed reviews and the fact that we were traveling with our small dog (sometimes the rooms for travelers with dogs are not as nice). But we were so pleasantly surprised! The room was spacious and clean and so was the bathroom. Our ground floor room faced the pool and it was a little crowded, but we couldn't hear anything through the windows and weren't bothered at all by noise (plus the pool closes at 10:00 pm). Although it was 100 degrees, we stayed cool. We slept well and would return to this property again.

Wouldn't recommend!! There was Food in AC unit. The Shower was disgusting and drain wasn't glued down. We found strands of hair in sheets. Splattered soda stains on floor edges. The staff wouldn't bring extra towels.

The room was immaculate and comfortable. A full breakfast was provided with three options- omelet with sausage and bagel/muffin, waffle, and one other plus lots of good fruit. The staff in the breakfast area was very accommodating and courteous while following covid guidlines. This hotel is a great value. Highly recommend.

I stayed two nights at the Best Western in Gilroy, CA. I paid extra for a room with a fireplace and whirlpool tub. First night: As I climb into the whirlpool tub I engage the drain stopper only to find out it is not attached! Lots of glue in multiple attempts to glue the stopper in place but I easily lifted the piece out of it's misery and left it on the side of the tub. Next I tried the shower-easy enough right? Nooooo! The Shower head is blasting water at a velocity to peel your skin away from your bones and there is no way to control it or adjust it because...wait for it...the shower head is attached with black electrical tape-not even duct tape but electrical tape! I was afraid to move it for fear the entire head would come flying off and give me a concussion! Not to worry, I managed to take the dermis exfoliating shower with the electrical taped shower head weapon and found the towels to be nice and crispy clean-crispy is a delicate way of describing these sandpaper drying rags they proclaim are towels. Next, on to dry my hair...wait..what ? The blow dryer doesn't work ? No way! Yup...the only item I didn't pack because the hotel had one, didn't work! Luckily I had family staying in the room next door and I promptly went there and stole their hair dryer (they're boys- who needs a hair dryer?) We were there for two nights. According to the representatives at the front desk, I should have requested room cleaning service when I checked in for more than one night. What the hell? Was their a sign advising that ? Noo! I have been checking into hotels for 40 plus years and never have I had to request room cleaning service. Imagine my surprise when after a long day of being away from our rooms, we return at 9:00 p.m. to find them n the same deplorable shape we left them in? All used sand paper towels lying in a conveniently neat heap, the single trashcan for the room overflowing with trash, two broken hair dryers, drain stopper lying beside the tub and the electrical taped shower head waiting for revenge. I called the front desk and of course, the representative said I was welcome to come and pick up more towels because, wait for it...there was no one to deliver these items to my rooms! Well, I survived my stay at the Not-So-Best-Western, and was told politely to call corporate for any type of reimbursement for my Not-So-Best-Stay. Still waiting for that call back!

The room was clean, but outsated. The water smelled like sulphur from the bathroom sink, the bathroom handle fell off, the bath was way too small and hot water was a long time comimg. There was garbage and broken glass all over thr grounds and parking lot. The desk attendant had the personality of a dead piece of wood Vending machimes didnt work. The heat in the room sidnt stay proper temp. I stayed in hotels half the price that this one charges fir s fraction of what this one costs. If you just wantba place to crash and dont care what price then check this one out. Otherwise this establishment will disappoint

Great location in Gilroy, close to restaurants & highway. Checkin was smooth, found my room easy in the back part of the hotel. Room was large with 2 queen beds & a bathroom equal in size. Spent a quiet night & next morning there was either a grab & go breakfast or a hot breakfast that was being set up. Seems like a very well run place, enjoyed my 1 night stay & the grab & go breakfast was good.

Plenty of hotels to choose from in Gilroy. However, if your visit takes you to the area of town around First Street, this is the best hotel in the area with easy access to this part of town, the freeway, shopping, vineyards, parks, and the road to Santa Cruz. (Beware if the Black Bear Diner. My last 3 visits there were very poor. But there are plenty of other great places to eat.)

My only two complaints (for this location) are about Bookings.com not communicating my booking fast enough, and housekeeping not respecting the "do not disturb" sign in the morning. On the bright side, their interruption was not too early, and canceling the Bookings.com reservation was fairly quick and easy because of the very helpful female associate at the front. All of the employees I interacted with were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again

Found bed bugs on bed!!!!!! Was very late and had to sleep like that (after inspecting all the sheets and all) so I let them know next morning and all they said was "sorry, I'll let the manager know". Was expecting a little more than that. Maybe they are used to clients complaining about this. Be aware!!

Nicely landscaped, full amenities and clean room. No breakfasts right now but a to go bag available at the front desk on your way out. Clean, quiet with ample parking. Big Bear Diner right in front walking distance.

If you are just looking for a place to sleep, this hotel is OK. Other than that, my experience was pretty bad. The grab bar in the shower came off in my hand, "breakfast" was a paper bag with a juice box, an orange, and a granola bar. They won't make up your room AT ALL, not even clean towels, if you are staying more than one night. And, don't ask to watch a movie - we were told that that wasn't a feature of the hotel, even though there are literally four pages of PPV movies listed on the TV screen. I have family in town, so I'll be going back to the area often, but I'll be trying out one of the other hotels next time.

Pool was closed due to County Covid response rules. Okay I get it, but they could've noted that on their page so you could see it! They have a section up top, "Our COVID-19 Response and Policies" with 3 items, none of which is the pool. You have to go to their "Front desk news" section, like that's the first thing I'm interested in going to on a site... Tripadvisor has a section too about cleanliness, etc. No mention of the pool! I mean yeah, the pool would still be closed, but at least we wouldn't have been looking forward to jumping into it on a 110 degree day after a 6 hour drive! Imagine that disappointment. The room fridge is more just an insulated box, doesn't even get cold. At all. Got them to agree to a late checkout, but then key stopped working before we could get back to our room to do so and had to get another from them. Also to go to the office to get water as the Coke/Water machines on both floors didn't work.

This hotel was absolutely perfect! From the decor to the amenities. We had no issues whatsoever. We have stayed at BW for the last 4 nights and this was by far the best. Cannot wait to come back. The rooms are extremely spacious! Well designed.

The rooms were mostly clean, but many things were broken, Vending, ice machine. Hallways were dirty, maid service was incomplete, or just passed over. The day manager not helpful, and had a chip on her shoulder. (Probably shouldn't be in the service industry.)

I use this hotel whenever I am traveling in Gilroy area. Always clean and comfortable. Staff is eager to please and friendly. Food in breakfast lounge is plentiful and well prepared. Good selections that vary each day.

The 2nd room they transferred me to had the same problem. The shower stream was also very light in my original room. They did not comp my room but offered additional points for the inconvenience. Stay elsewhere until they fix the problem!

Accessible ground floor room w/ TWO beds: Reported BROKEN door lock IMMEDIATELY, yet would not change room. Dirty walls. Loud slamming EXTERIOR door right next to us-SLAMMED ALL NIGHT! EXTREMELY OVERPRICED FOR run down loud fwy traffic area w/ all night restaurants & drunks outside. Curtains did not cover windows & had to tape shut on ground floor room. View of parking lot! Dim lighting, Manager then YELLED at my disabled teen traveling with me. I spoke to him about & then he tried to justify his poor behavior. Will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! POOR MANAGEMENT & POOR FACILITIES! I'M AN ENGINEERING & TECH WRITER! I KNOW WHAT GOOD PROPERTIES LOOK LIKE.

This is a great modern hotel. I love the free breakfast. I love the layout of the rooms. Just wish they had some sort of activity such as... indoor swimming pool, or a gym. I also like that there is a black bear diner in the same parking lot. And it's right off the highway.

The hotel gets better every time I stay here, their new Breakfast Bar is great & expanded seating area. I look forward to staying her again on all my business trips to Gilroy!! The rooms are clean and accommodating, the staff is friendly and helpful

Rooms are big and fireplace is cozy. Not all rooms have fire places but worth in in the cold weather. I slept like a baby and had nothing but good friendly service, Black bear dinner in the the same parking lot was not only convent but delicious.

Loved this BW property. Room decor fabulous, bed cozy, amenities great. Has a nice breakfast, friendly staff and a outdoor pool. Pet friendly but we saw several dogs without leashes. Please when you see a dog loose please report to office. Our dog and I were attacked in Nashville last year and had to have her front leg amputated. Help me spread the word. We're off to our next BW!

As a pro road guy for a living this place is a 10 in my book! Front desk staff are ALWAYS polite and friendly! Rooms are clean well stocked and Quiet. Pool, Spa and fitness center are great! Breakfast is always on point also.

Dog friendly and convenient location for an annual Christmas party. Nice big parking lot, plenty of areas to potty dogs. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but it looked like it was good. Also is next door to Black Bear Diner.

The main reason we chose this BW was because it was a pet friendly facility. I had my reservations about how clean it would be. I was delighted! The room was clean, no smells, and there was even a gift bag for our dog. The complementary breakfast was great, lots of breakfast options. The pool area was clean. The work-out room was ok, it served its purpose. Every single staff member that I came in contact with was polite and greeted me. I would definitely stay with there again.

I enjoyed the Property in Gilroy the Best Western Plus Forest Park Inn. The service and employees were helpful and nice the property is very pleasant and the rooms are well decorated and spacious. Overall stay was very comfortable.

I was the wedding photographer for a couple that had me travel up to their wedding day. This hotel is a great value and in an excellent location as its close to everything. Black Bear Diner is right next door and has excellent food. Thank you Blessed Beyond Belief Photography

breakfast was fine except for the lady that stood behind the wall. she stared at us like we were taking things we should not have.. when the work crew came in she left and did not bother them. but when we were there she stared us like we were taking everything. I did not feel comfortable with her in there and this was the first time I felt like this at a best western.

I have to say as with any room, the main issue is light under the door. Luckily we had a hallway because of the placement of the bathroom. Great room, had a balcony though we did not use it, only issue was broken ice machines. Mattresses were amazing, it was little things that didn't mar the experience, but there are no fans in the bathroom. And the toilets are low. Great that it has laminate wood floors. But overall it was worth the price.

I worked remotely from this hotel for a week in June. The front desk staff was pleasant and jovial. Our room was clean and we were able to sleep with the windows open since we were up on the third floor with a little balcony. We were very impressed with the offerings in the breakfast area, which was being quietly remodeled and expanded during our stay. While the menu wasn't terribly different from most other hotel breakfasts, it was at least changed up a bit each day so that we didn't have to have the exact same thing every morning! We'd stay here again, for sure!

This Best Western 3-story hotel was a joy. Easy to find off a main street. The room and the grounds were very clean, modern and in very good shape. Lots of parking all the way around the hotel. The breakfast is included and good. Eggs, potatoes, a pancake machine, cereal, muffins and good coffee. The dining room is medium size, does fill up. Go early. However the seats turn quickly. Needed a roll-a-way bed. The guy delivering the bed was waiting at the door before we could get there from checkin. The pool and hot tub are beautiful and well maintained! We felt safe the entire visit. Right next to a Black Bear diner. Highly recommend!!!

We always have such a great experience at Best Western and had the best one so far at this location! Bed and pillows were very comfortable, room was clean, comfortable and newly renovated. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly.

Close to the highway, we found it easily. On arrival, this BW has a welcoming appeal. The staff, front desk and house keeping, are efficient and friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean. We looked for, but found no shower cap. Outside of that, the room was well appointed including a usable desk with plenty of outlets. Everything worked as it should, even the in-room heat and a/c which could be turned off completely.

i did not have a reservation but the desk attendant was super nice and offered me an excellent rate. He also told me all about the location and things to do in Gilroy. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

We stayed at Gilroy on a California road trip. The Best Western provided a clean and comfortable base. It was popular on this Saturday night. The Black Bear diner is at the end of the parking lot and was the highlight of our stay. There was unfortunate noise from other guests late at night and early in the morning which can happen at any hotel. The noise did seem to travel along the corridors and between rooms / floors. We even had phone calls into the room which were distracting, but we assume made by another mistaken guest. There was no safe in the room but that didn't seem a problem. Our room facilities were fine although the shower was tired and no longer an adjustable jet.

Stayed one night for business. The hotel is close to the 805, but you cannot hear the freeway from the room. The rooms appear to be newly renovated in the last few years. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower head in room 301 seemed to leak more than it sprayed out. It probably should be fixed.

Our stay wasn't too bad, there is a Black Bear Diner about 200 ft from the lobby. That is the only restaurant within walking distance. It is less than an hour drive to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The price was good for booking on the day of our stay on a holiday weekend.

Very restful place to stay. Restaurant in same parking lot. Beds are comfortable. Onlhy negative is the lack of maintenace crew when you need them. Morning of departure the sink was totally clogged and maintenance did not respond at all. Had to shave and brush teeth in lobby restroom.

Right off the highway, near fuel, and food. This place is really nice! The staff is really friendly, and the rooms are very clean, and look new! Lots of secure parking too! This is a great place to rest when on a road trip!

Stayed here earlier in Aug 2019 for 2 nights - arriving at 5pm we were allocated the room on level 2 of the hotel wing with close proximity to the parking and elevator access. The room was huge - with a huge tv with cable, microwave, a mini fridge and a clean bath with shower and a balcony. The built in closets were superb for storing our shopping from the outlet malls. The best part was the aircon that worked perfectly during our stay. The hotel is fantastic - very huge and very centrally located. We gave the black bear diner a try and the service and food was excellent. The complimentary breakfast at the hotel was very basic and the coffee not so good so we gave both a miss on our second day. The swimming pool was popular during our stay though we did not use it. Overall a fantastic hotel - highly recommended.

Everything was perfect in this hotel. It exceeded our expectations. The lady from the reception was lovely, the room was very big and pleasant, super clean, large bathroom, cute balcony. We did not try the swimming pool, but it looked nice. Breakfast was simple, but perfect for hitting the road the next day. The location next to the outlets makes it a place we will come back and visit more. Thank you.

Perfect stop for our long road trip. Across the parking lot from where we stopped for dinner and staying at the Best Western was a no brainer. Checked in after booking online and was effortless. Would stay here again anytime.

The hotel was undergoing painting and remodeling in the main entrance but the staff was very accomodating and apologetic.The hotel was nice but while we were at the pool, people were jumping the fence to use the pool in their clothing! We told the staff but nothing was done. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

We stay here everytime we visit our family once a month. We enjoy the location and Black Bear Diner in same parking lot. Rooms are clean and nice upgrades. A.c. works great and kids love the breakfast and pool.

Reception was officious rather than friendly. Room was spacious; beds were comfortable. No TV blaring during breakfast. Very clean. Minor annoyances: there was a fitness room, but heaviest weight was 20 lb; there is a warm breakfast, but bacon was papery, omelets stacked and lukewarm ... the door connecting our room to another was locked but let in too much noise ...

The amenities, staff, cleanliness, convenience, well, EVERYTHING about this place was just GREAT. Close to shopping, dining, fuel, entertainment, with a friendly staff, well equipped rooms, and a great breakfast dining room with unusually GOOD FOOD. The breakfast variety of foods was amazing, well stocked at all times, clean, and a VERY attentive staff. From arrival to departure, a GREAT experience!

This property is everything you would hope for in a Best Western... clean, quiet, up-to-date, conveniently located, etc., but this five-star review is completely a result of the the amazing service and compassion of the staff at Forest Park Inn. My family and I have traveled world-wide yet our experience yesterday was unparalleled. We were in town for a wedding and this hotel had been recommended by the Bride's family (Gilroy locals). Yesterday, we found that my daughter's precious teddy bear was missing (she's not very big; only about 6".. the bear, not my daughter!). We suspected that, because of her small size, she had inadvertently been swooped up in the laundry. Sandy, the manager on duty, and Cesar, the head Custodian, put out an "APB" for the missing bear. Soon we felt that the entire staff was on the lookout for the missing bear. It was tough, but after several hours of nothing turning up, we needed to leave; but Sandy assured us the search would continue. Sure enough, about three hours later still we received a call saying the bear had been found and that she was none the worse for wear, and definitely cleaner, after going through the washer and drier. Again, we cannot thank Sandy, Cesar, Aurora, and Rosalba (in the laundry) enough. Not only did they rescue the bear, they did so with grace, compassion, and a sincere desire to help. These are not traits which are taught and not often found, so we are so appreciative of encountering them all in one spot, and from so many, at the Best Western Forest Park Inn.

This facility was amazing! Their employees know how to make guests feel special. Great rooms, amazing breakfast, exceptional staff. Would highly recommend to everyone. Will definitely stay here again!! Thx BW for a great travel experience once again!

This hotel was great for our weekend getaway. The location was perfect, gas stations nearby, restaurants within walking distance and the scenery around the hotel was very pretty. The room was clean and very nice, more than what I expected to see and didn't have anything wrong with it. Housekeeping was very quick to deliver extras and were very nice. All around great stay!

Out of every hotel in Gilroy, this is by far my first choice. I stay here often and always stop in for breakfast in the mornings. The beds are super comfy and big tvs with direct tv with all the movie channels.

I am a Best Western Rewards member. I have been for many years. The hotels are always to me 5 star excellent. Always friendly staff to assist me, clean and nicely decorated rooms. Free breakfast with a good variety of items to choose from. ALWAYS great value for price!!!

This was my second time staying here in a month. The first trip was great! The room was spacious and clean. The second trip was not so good. The room was small and dirty. The bathroom was not cleaned well and the shower still had hair in it from the previous guest. I was disappointed my second visit

I was very pleased with the staff and service, the pool was great especially since it was so hot. This was a repeat visit since I had stayed in past and was pleased. If I travel to the area again I will stay again.

Horrible cancellation policy even though it said free cancellation when booking! Emergencies happen and can not always be avoided. I am really disappointed in the response when I did cancel at 0500 AM! Be more understanding!

I had booked a reservation at another motel in Gilroy that proved to be a truck stop. It looked like a rent by the hour motel for horny trickers. I quickly left and did a Safari search for...anything else. The Best Western was suggested so I called them and booked a room. What a wonderful surprise. It was fantastic. The price was reasonable and the accommodations were much, much better than my highest expectations. The front desk was both professional and courteous. The room was clean, modern and...everything worked. In the morning there was a free continental breakfast with hot eggs, fried ham, coffee and everything one might want for breakfast. I would return there is a minute! Well done Best Western.

I had a convention in a town about 20 miles away but, since I prefer BW Hotels, I chose to stay at the closest one which happened to be in Gilroy. It was a good choice. We have another convention in Hollister in 2 years. If I attend, I'm sure that I'll stay at this hotel. Having a Black Bear restaurant on the property was a plus. After my travels, it was nice being able to not have to look for a place to eat.

We stay here all the time and its a fabulous place to stay. They have redone the rooms and its gorgeous. The breakfast they have is really off the hook, you don't need to go anywhere because they have it all. thank you for a great stay

We traveled to Gilroy with our granddaughters to go to Gilroy Gardens. This hotel was very convenient to that location. We found it to be clean, safe and close to a restaurant that was perfect for children. There were lots of repairs going on, but none that inconvenienced us. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will stay again!

I reserved a stay at BW for three days. My Three children and my boyfriend traveled from WA and we had such a pleasant experience at BW. First, the cleanses of our room and everything that I asked for was provided. Staff went beyond to meet our needs with extra towels, room service, etc. The pool has amazing! I cannot leave out the breakfast, food was delicious. Thank you and definitely will come back to this hotel anytime we are in the bay area.

I been traveling to Gilroy for many years and I try to always stay at this property. The staff there is extreamly friendly and have always made me feel welcome. The room are nice and the beds are comfortable. They serve a hot breakfast which is included with the room rate. I would recomend this hotel to anyone traveling to or thru the Gilroy area.

rooms were not very nice, it was noisy and seemed like an extended stay. Broken tiles in the shower, and the room smelled, the halls smelled like people were cooking food in the rooms. The exterior doors slammed every time they were opened or closed.

While the room was great, BF was great, my issue is with the meeting room which has not been fully renovated and I was charged and Transient Occupancy tax for I room that I did not sleep in. I believe this to be a misapllied tax.

The Best Western Plus Forest Park Inn in Gilroy was a very pleasant, clean and quiet place to stay. Cudos for the multiple sockets and USB ports on both sides of the bed. The shower could use some updating and the “carpet” should be replaced with flooring for a cleaner, updated appearance. The staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurants and mini mart within walking distance.

Beautiful comfy place to stay, with plenty of other restaurants, fueling stations, and quick shop stores to chose from. We will definitely stay again in the future. The theme was enticingly forest and definitely a go green!!

The staff is super friendly, the grounds and rooms are excellent. We slept well in a comfy bed. We enjoyed the location as we didn't want to be right in San Jose/Santa Clara. I would recommend this hotel easily to anyone.

I booked a last minute trip to this hotel in November. It's located right off of 101 and about 5-7 minute drive to the Gilroy outlets. It's also really convenient that a Black Bear Diner is directly by the hotel. The front desk was friendly, check in took no more than 10 minutes. Another great plus was it does have a complimentary breakfast, which has a great selection. We got a 2 queen bedroom that was your normal size. It's newly renovated with hard wood floors. Each room has a balcony with a chair, which looks nice if it was a little bit more warmer. Bathroom was clean, the only negative is the toilet backed up upon the first time of use. The water just overflowed. Parking is really accessible but it does fill up at night. They also have a outdoor pool but I wasn't able to use it during my stay.

In addition to the usual good quality of Best Westerns, as well as its dog-friendly environment, this one was only a couple of blocks from a Tesla Supercharger station, so I was able to juice up the car before we left in the morning.

We usually travel here annually to have holiday with my kids. They take dogs (a plus for my two mini pins). However the atmosphere has been changing, there seems to be more clientele that is a bit shady. Which added to some noise at night. Their staff though are very friendly and seem to care.

We stayed here for one night to visit Gilroy Gardens holiday @night. The hotel was easy to find and looked clean and nice on the outside and the lobby. The staff member who checked us in was friendly and helpful. We arrived about an hour before check-in time and were able to check-in immediately. Our room was good sized, clean and had nice modern decor. The bathroom was large and the beds were comfortable. The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, and flat screen satellite tv. The breakfast the following morning had both hot and cold options including a made to order self serve pancake machine - something for everyone in the family. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the Gilroy area.

I booked a family room yesterday and my son saw 2 rats in our room late in the night! Staff put a mouse trap in the room. Upon our insistence, we were given 2 separate rooms, one opposite the rat infested room and another on the third floor. However I could not sleep thinking about the possibility of rats in the night! Also hard mattress and thin walls. The breakfast was excellent however with many choices. I would not recommend this place. No response from management for the discomfort and anguish caused to my family.

The hotel was easy on and off access to the highway. Checking in process was very easy. Hotel room was very large and confortable. Morning breakfast selections were very good. Staff was extremely helpful.

Our room was located on the third floor, close to the elevator and close to the buildings exit/entrance. Our room was clean, comfortable and healthy. We had a few minor problems: the toilet stopped up twice and the bathroom faucet was leaking a small amount of water, drip by drip. Our drought condition has created a water shortage, so the wasting of water through the faucet's drip-by-drip of water becomes a concern. Fortunately, the hotel has maintenance staff on duty 24/7. They fixed the toilet stoppage quickly and said they would fix the faucet problem once we left. We found the breakfast buffet to be quite good, staff was there to replace the breakfast items and keep the tables clean and healthy. Our room overlooked the parking lot, with the balcony providing a secure place to view the surrounding landscape. Because of the variety of plants and trees, we saw many birds going from place to place, and, for us, it was interesting to watch the bird's movements. Overall, we are glad we stayed at this hotel; all the staff were warm and friendly, our stay was restful, the room was quiet, and the breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. And, yes, we will stay here again if in the area.

The staff are very friendly and efficient. We arrived on Thanksgiving day and the printer was not working so the staff had to handwrite check-in documents. There was a large group ahead of me, but the staff got us all checked in very quickly. Great job!

We really enjoyed this hotel! We got a king fireplace room with the jetted tub, and it's a great room! Love that it came with a desk, balcony, sitting area, refrigerator, microwave, separate sink in the room, away from the bathroom. I requested a second floor room near the office when I made the reservation online, and they accommodated me. I felt safe here, and the building where the rooms are is locked to the public. The breakfast was really awesome as well - the seating area was clean and large, they had eggs, biscuits, ham, cereals, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, pastries, muffins, and bagels, etc. Definitely a step up from the usual free continental breakfasts. I read reviews that said the breakfast area gets really crowded around 830-9, so we went as soon as we got up, before getting ready. It was around 7, and there was only a few other people in the room. Made for a pleasant breakfast! If you want to bring breakfast to your room, they don't have trays, so you need to bring the trays are in your room. There is one under the coffee maker, and another under the ice bucket.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The only one problem was the hospitality lady being rude to my daughter but not others. She did nothing to her except ask about juice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a pet friendly hotel very clean rooms no smells from previous pets. The hotel staff was very respectful,helpful and courteous!

The hotelroom was nice and big, it even had a balcony. Had never heard of Gilroy before, the smell of garlic was all around. When you get used to it, it's fine. The kingsize bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good and had enough choice to accommodate everyone.

Always comfortable and safe and staff always respond quickly and do so with a smile. I stay here regularly every September through October and have for several years. This hotel always exceeds my needs.

Very nice hotel close to the freeway, shopping and more. We had room 218 which was very large and comfortable. Extra wide door into the bath. Balcony with two chairs and a table except no nice view. It overlooks the parking lot and an empty field. The room had a large comfortable chair, ottoman, desk, fridge and microwave. My only complaint is the stair wells are very dark. There is only one light in the stair wells on the second floor. The first and third floor stairs are not easy to see. There is an elevator, but we usually take the stairs. Breakfast room is large and comfortable. Hold about 50 people. Normally BW has waffles you cook yourself but this one had pancakes. Did not try them though. Also had either sausage, bacon or Canadian bacon; mini omelettes; cereal; bread and pastries; yogurt; fruit and more. Reception area is very large. Cookies in the afternoons, coffee and water all the time. Lots of windows so it is bright and cheery. Comfortable sofas and chairs with a fireplace. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

This property was very clean and well maintained. Our room was very clean and all amenities worked. Great selection of TV channels. Felt very safe and secure during our stay. We had friends staying at another hotel across the highway and this was not the case at their hotel. I will be staying here again on our next trip.

It was a one hour drive on 101 from San Francisco Airport. For some reason my booking which was through Booking.com did not appear on the screen of the reception desk. However later the booking was found and then was a smooth checkin. The two queen bed rooms are large enough and comfortable The hotel is very convenient for going to all the shopping outlets in the vicinity. All within 5-7 minutes driving distance. The rooms are comfortable. I was allotted a room on the ground level ( 1st floor) and very near the car park. Its a great location to visit the attractions nearby like Monterey , Carmel etc. The hotel breakfast was good and the spread though not very elaborate is sufficient. The checkout was a very smooth process.

On the edge of the "city" Gilroy and within walking distance of the "Gilroy Premium Outlet". Friendly reception desk that is located in a separate building. As a result, the reception has no "connection" with the rooms and guests in the separate building. This gives a somewhat "distant" feeling, and ensures little involvement from the reception with the guests. Quick check-in, after which the search start for the right room in an unclear building that has strange corridors and wind blowing through. The provided map helps a little. Room spacious and well cared for. Balcony with table and two chairs that is mainly occupied by pigeons. 2 Queen size beds, desk, fridge (defect), microwave oven, office chair and TV with enough channels. Enough wall plugs to charge all electronics. Bathroom complete with enough towels. Washbasin separate from bathroom and with coffee app. Wardrobe with large mirror. We had pool view but unfortunately the pool that was closed for 2 days without any notice. (a new resin / wax layer to provide slipping). For breakfast you have to go back to the reception building. Breakfast is sufficient but there is no longer any replenishment the last 20 minutes before the buffet closes and 10 minutes before the end one already started to clean up. Because of this, you cannot have breakfast in peace. In the evening, "wanderers and the homeless" wandered through the rubbish bins. Next to the hotel is the "Black Bear Dinner" restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests also use the hotel parking spaces. Price / quality for the hotel is ok but we had a somewhat "lost" impression. Location is ok.

I have been returning to this hotel for 10 years The rooms are clean and very nice. The price is good. And the breakfast is amazing. I love this place. It's in a good locations close to the outlet stores, pacheco pass and other tourist fun places

The Forest Park Inn is ideally located for exploring Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, and Santa Cruz—all within an hour's drive. There is plenty of free parking and an adjacent restaurant called the Black Bear Diner, which serves decent American comfort food. The rooms are spacious and clean. I even had a balcony with table and chairs, though it just overlooked the parking lot. Nothing exceptional about the decor and amenities, but no major complaints either. Overall, I had a good experience, I would consider staying here again if I'm in the area.

This hotel it in a great location we have stayed here several times and will stay again. Just blocks from the outlet mall and great restaurants. Hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for a night between SoCal and SF and it was the perfect stop. Pool was pleasant, close proximity to the Outlet shopping for my teenager, quick breakfast before hitting the road the next morning. Wish I'd realized there was a fitness center on site, though.

Convenient location if you leave SF direction south. Large and clean rooms. Breakfast buffet not really worth being mentioned, but we found good coffee places in town (i.e. on 1st street). Used the laundry machine and dryer. Diner next door and a Seven11 just across the street.

This should be a 4 star review. The hotel has a great breakfast, though the dining room is small, and a really nice gym and pool. Service was good and parking pretty easy. It's also in a nice location and surrounded by some pretty trees. However, staying on the third floor with a western exposure was a nightmare. First, the common areas of the hotel were open to the outside, even though entrance is on the interior. That made for a ridiculously warm third floor. We had a suite that had one window A/C unit for two rooms. It was a sauna when we arrived and stayed that way until late in the evening. The unit just couldn't keep up. Why would you turn the A/C off in a room the day someone is checking in, when it can barely cool one room let alone two? So that was a problem. And the baggage carts need a serious upgrade, though they do match the ancient elevator. This should be a 4 star experience, but only earned 2 from us.

I recommend booking through Best Western membership club for family vacation or business. The Best Western reps were very helpful with finding location suitable for me in finding the best price available in perrfered area. I would advise to become a Best Western club member to obtain best discounts or deals were applicable.

Room is clean. I really like how they replaced the carpet with laminate. Was a quiet place to sleep. Staff was friendly and professional. The lady at the front desk handled what seemed like a difficult customer and then kept her composure for us. Plenty of parking. Feels like a safe area to go to/from your car. The lobby was decent size with comfortable furniture. Breakfast is consistent with other BW Plus hotels. Coffee was good compared to other BW I've stayed.

My first time staying at this Best Western and the cleaning was either skipped or horribly done. The Bathroom has a lot of hair all over the floor from the previous guest/s, the edges of the flooring is very dirty, the outside of the tub is grimy, there was stuff in the toilet and not cleaned, there were drips of "something" on the bathroom floor, the pillows had hairs (small and long) on them from previous guest/s, the flooring wasn't vacuumed well there was dander all over, the corridor hallway was extremely dirty and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. On top of it being very dirty when I got in my room around 4pm the cleaning crew were still cleaning surrounding rooms (this late in the day???) they were slamming the doors all around. Not a peaceful place to stay at all and I am extremely grossed out about how dirty the room is. I will NOT ever be staying here again.

We looked for a place to stay in gilroy on our way from Yosemite to Monterey. We arrived in the evening and there was only a suite left but the price was reasonable so we took it. We are never disappointed with best western hotels. The room was very large with great bed kichennate and a gas fireplace . We're large bathroom . The only minus was at breakfast. The breakfast room is quite small and since it was weekend it was full and we had to wait like 10 minutes for a table and than in line to get food ( although that wasn't a problem to those who came half an hour later) the food was ok. Pancakes cheese eggs sausages fruits breads muffins and more. The location is 2 minutes drive from the mall.

Friendly and helpful front Desk Staff specially Vincent, clean room. Hot Coffee and cookies in lobby. When called front desk for extra towel we got them in less than 5 mins. One of the best Breakfast we had at any of Best Western Plus Hotels.

Stayed in this Best Western on a business trip I was scheduled for 5 days of staying at this hotel .an I checked out on the second day. First checked in went to my room there was personal items of previous people had to call front desk to get a different room one of my business associates also came on the trip she found somebody's garbage under the bed. The hotel is very noisy door shutting never again only positive side was the breakfast and I got to see the girl the front desk was polite the lady and the breakfast I was really really nice my only positive notes of this location

Front desk supervisor was extremely helpful. We had a young child when we drove in from Sacramento and we had to change him before we went to Gilroy gardens. She worked everything out so we could have a slight early check in. She's very helpful and the entire staff was courteous and kind. Definitely will stay there again!

The best things about this place is everything around it. The location is great and there is a good breakfast diner next door and a coffee shop a block away. This is an old hotel. The elevator's interior is wood so that should give you an idea. The rooms are clean and its quiet.

I love this facility it was clean and my room was superb. The price is very good and amenities are superior to all others. The only problem is the key didnt work so well. The elevator was not working. I got to 3rd floor via stairs with all my luggage and couldnt get into room as key was bad

Most of the outlets in the room did not work and the one that did had an outlet expander with all of the lights and the air conditioner plugged into it! All but one ceiling light were burned out or not functioning. When I requested management I was told they were all on vacation.

It was ok. Room was good at first glance, but Needs updating. Stains on chairs and other things that just made me think yuck. Looked clean till I turned on the tub and saw hairs that were not our own. Room was extremely warm even with it being a cool evening and air on. Was on the second floor. Also bathroom does not have a fan. Very odd. Also halls very noisy. Heard kids running up and down halls the whole time. Continental breakfast was a Barage if people!!!! Didn't know where the lines started or began! Grateful a Black Bear diner was in the parking lot. Decided to breakfast there instead. Balcony was nice to have though. Most likely will be booking elsewhere when we return for a weekend at Gilroy Gardens. Wish I took pics.

Very nice staff in all areas, exceptionally busy hotel tho well maintained. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Loved the balcony in the room. Gives the feel of open space. Got good solid, quiet, peaceful nights rest

Beautiful place but the hallways were way too noisy. Had to sleep with a pillow on my head and the noise still woke me and my family up in the morning. Doors opening and slamming constantly. Lovely and comfortable room.

One of the main reasons I like BW is that they usually have the two room option with 3 queens, one being separated by a door. Great when you have a large family of both sexes OR Dad snores!! Free breakfast for those that are not picky. Restaurants near by. Quiet room. Pleasantly surprised.

Great value, good food close by, I make my living on the road and wish I could take this place everywhere I go. Sandy , Miama and all the front desk crew are as good as they get!! If you are traveling through the area or vacationing here, you won't go wrong! Keep up the Great work!

Clean enough hotel. Hard wood floors in guest rooms and tile floor bathrooms. Only patch of carpet was next to the bed. There was a large amount of dust throughout the room especially the shelf under the sink. Check in was quick and easy. Everything worked and was up to date.

Generally an unhappy experience... Parking lot in back was a little disheveled from construction. Lot security light was out, Worse, the rear entrance door lock was jammed open allowing unfettered access from the rear lot to the hotel. Advised front desk but it was still open when I left to check out the next morning. Room was adequate but a little grubby. Good marks for a clean bathroom and hot shower. Poor attention to detail - clocks were off, no welcome items. AC unit was loud and woke me up from a sound sleep in the early AM. TripAdvisor should really repossess their banner in the lobby. For about the same rate, stayed in much better properties right before and right after this. Seemed like a remedial training site for entry-level staff. Not a fan.

Stayed 2 nights after a 11-hour flight to SFO, most of all because we planned to shop in the nearby Premium Outlet. Payed 130$/night for a king bed room, ended op with a free upgrade to a big suite with all the anenities you could expect. Our room was quiet at the end of the building on third floor, there is a lift though. Clean room, a bit dark, brown colours dominate the room. The bathroom had 2 sinks and a big jacuzzi. Another sink as well in the room. The only thing missing was a safe. Breakfast had it alll, scrambled eggs, bacon and so on. Great coffee.

Toilet was clogged, would not flush, and fridge was out of order. The crib had pee smell and stains. The room was noisy from upstairs. Andthe internet username and password never worked, kept saying invalid username/password! Please provide genuine credentials, not fake ones to prevent your guests from using up your bandwidth!

Easy in and easy out, clean. Not a stellar location. Good service staff. Awkward layout but I kind of liked the open air stairs. Parking is sort of limited and the surrounding streets have lots of medians and traffic in the AM. Surrounding restaurants are limited to fast food and black bear diner

I enjoy staying here as it is most always a good experience! I must say if you have any issues, the staff take care of things for you. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The access to the freeway is near but not noisy from cars. It is good value for the price.

It was a nice hotel. The elevator was broken and the shower head was horrible although the bathrooms looked remodeled. They said they would fix the elevator next week which was not helpful for my stay on the 3rd floor but hopefully they get it done.

A great place for your money's worth! The hotel is convenient if you are planning on going to Gilroy Gardens and the premium outlet. Parking is free in their parking lot. And the place seems overall safe. The breakfast is pretty good, they had eggs and bacon.

This hotel has so much to offer...beds are comfortable, clean rooms, great / breakfast (excellent variety) , free parking / wifi and most importantly...AWESOME staff!! They also share a parking lot with Black Bear Diner (which is another plus). Will return every time I need a hotel stay in Gilroy!!

Rooms very clean. Bed (King size} was very comfortable. Lots of parking and easy access to all the amenities.Close to the Outlet stores and lots of good restaurants. There is a Black Bear Diner right across the parking lot. Slept in so missed breakfast but it looked great. Much better that coffee and a sweet roll!!!

We have stayed here a number of times over the years and had experienced a decline it the up-keep and personnel . This stay has seen a major turn around in the over all experience. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay in a great room. We look forward to staying here again on travels to the Bay Area.

This hotel is located very close to outlet and this was the main reason for us to choose it during our drive to SF. The room is good space, BW standard, what bothered me was the air conditioning noise at night, it was cold in late December. Breakfast was ok. From this hotel you can reach Monterey area in less than 1 hour.

Always comfortable, free internet, next to the Black Bear restaurant. Good night's sleep, easy off/on the 101. Handy to large shopping mall, gas stations, and very attractive exterior. Thank-you BW for a pleasant stay.

This Best Western had everything necessary for a trouble free stay at a great value. The staff were efficient and friendly. The check in and check out was quick and easy. The rooms were clean and quiet with amenities helpful for a quick overnight stop. The breakfast was excellent and well supplied. We were very pleased with our stay and the price was reasonable.

Although I informed reservation desk that I was traveling with two dogs, they neglected to include this in their initial quoted price and I was unpleasantly surprised with a $40 fee added my final bill. I really don't see how two dogs add up to a three hour increase in maid service or other costs. Next time I will stay at La Quinta where pets are free.

I have stayed at this hotel twice so far. The beds are very comfortable and both times the hotel has always been clean. We will be making this our go to hotel when we are in need of one for this area.

You get what you paid for. It's not a five start hotel but it's exactly what you will expect at a typical Best Western hotel The location is outstanding since it's right off the freeway and the outlet is just minutes away..

Stayed for Labor Day weekend and they were at capacity, quite full with people coming and going and many of them being happy families. This was not my first choice but turned out to be quite convenient to Gilroy Gardens as it was our first time visiting the park. Rooms were comfortable, we got two. They are nice and spacious however the description is quite a bit over embellished. The rooms we booked came with a fireplace and jacuzzi which is true, for the price I was hoping something like a bed and breakfast but the jacuzzi is regular tub sized and the small fireplace is right under the television in the middle of the room. The pool is very clean, very nice especially in 115* weather that weekend. It was greatly appreciated and my toddler let out a huge sigh of relief, It was a bit crowded but it was pleasant. Didn't get to try the larger jacuzzi outside but it looked quite inviting. People stayed out swimming past 10:00pm but it did get quiet eventually. Breakfast in the morning was PACKED and the line went out the door. The smart people would take their food to their rooms (if they had trays it would make this a lot easier). On one of those days I was hoping they would make more French toast when they ran out, since it was about an hour before finishing time I asked a staff person if they would be bringing out more and I was told it wouldn't happen. I was left craving French toast and that I think would have made my experience a bit better, especially after the long line and waiting for a table in the breakfast area. It was overall a nice stay, housekeeping has nice and welcoming staff. It is super convenient to stay here to visit Gilroy Gardens or the outlets and very family friendly. Having Hungry Bear Diner right next door is super convenient and it was pleasant having a clean and temperature controlled pool. Mostly quiet if you stay by the pool and you meet some nice and friendly travelers too.

This place was terrible. Looked nothing like the picture. Felt dirty, had a bad odor. You had to walk quite a distance to get to breakfast, and more than half of the doors didn't work. Rooms were old. Would never stay here again. Couldn't wait to leave!

Myself and BFF take an annual trip shopping at the Gilroy Outlets. This is our point of destination to sleep! We have been coming here for at least 10 years and haven't even considered another hotel. Close to everything that serves our purpose. SHOPPING! We schedule our 3-day trip and includes visiting local restaurants. This is the best place for the value and quality...breakfast is great too. Can't complain about breakfast included.

We had such a hard time getting towels !!!! We had the family suite, there were only 3 of us and apparently they hold up to 10 because that's how many were in the room cross from us, They checked in right in front of us and the hotel was aware of how many there were, We called for more towels as soon as we checked around 3 and had to go back to the lobby at 10pm that night to ask again. The following day ,,, believe it or not the same thing happened, a call no towels and late that evening a run to the front desk, I think the 10 people across from us had the same problem because they did laundry till 1am . The laundry room has no door and was right next to us, there should be a cut off time for laundry but maybe they were washing towels !! The breakfast room is way too small to accommodate the hotel and they don't even look at keys. It looked like a group of street people fighting over food ! WE paid over 200 a night for this hotel, so not worth it !! They must have new management because it has gone downhill very quickly.

This is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are clean, and the pool, Jacuzzi and breakfast room are all very pleasant; we enjoyed a relaxing evening and time there, but for the rude and unhelpful demeanor of one of the desk clerks. The management needs to enroll Sandy in a course in customer/client relations, or failing that, dismiss her. She makes clients wait for 11 minutes while she deals with some computer issues, (on 2 occasions) and will not deal with customer needs without rude and blaming remarks. She does not represent the company well.

Overall great experience staying at this hotel would stay again soon The only downfall that I am not happy about is this location does not offer any smoking rooms which is not a huge problem but a little bit of inconvenience

My husband and I stayed here Wednesday through Friday for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I booked a "whirlpool" room with a fireplace. I have to say that the room was nice! The floors were laminate and the fireplace was "brick" and came on by flicking a switch. It was right outside the pool area and we had a great view of the sunset from our patio. With the palm trees it looked a little like a tropical paradise. Downsides: Probably with no fault of the staff, the card keys didn't work the first time out and their was no blow dryer in the room. It took me almost 2 hours to get a blow dryer after I let the front desk know. I'm glad we weren't in a hurry on Thanksgiving morning. The mattress in our room needed to be replaced and the pillows were really uncomfortable. The first night the staff must have been working late because they went by our room with their carts until 11pm. It sounded like a truck was coming through the room. Okay, now breakfast: Very good! They had "omelets" and fillings to add to them; fresh spinach, cheese, salsa, bacon, ham and sausage. There was a made to order pancake maker, plenty of cereal, bread, juice and fruit choices. Since we have relatives in the area we will stay there again. Hopefully the downsides were a fluke and we'll have a better stay next time.

We just stayed overnight, room was average, it was clean which I feel is very important. Evening staff was nice, morning staff was not friendly, breakfast staff was very nice. Good breakfast, overall I would stay again. Lights in bathroom went out in the morning so had to leave door open, toilet didn't work well. Other than that it was fine.

Perfect stop. Large rooms and great for traveling with our dog. Liked the deck feature. Breakfast was awesome with lots to choose from. Didn't get to try the pool or hot tub but looked inviting. Thanks!

above expectation, check in a breeze, super friendly, only problem experienced was the heater, either too hot or too cold and it kick up dust, came home coughing. Overall was excellent and too bad it wasn't part of Wyndham, otherwise I would it regularly all over the US n' elsewhere too.

Up visiting relatives and found myself in the middle of major rainstorm. Easily found the Forest park inn. Front Desk staff was very welcoming and helpful and quite efficient, and there was a line waiting. Property is a bit worn in places, but well maintained. Elevator in my building was broken for a bit, so we had a wait until maintenance staff could repair it- that was a worry. Room was spacious and clean with all the usual amenities. Bed comfortable but a bit high, as with most BW's. As with many hotels, the lighting was dim especially in the bathroom( putting on make-up is a challenge!), but lots of plush towels to make up for that inconvenience? My biggest complaint was that due to the age of the building there is a real noise problem- thin walls so you can hear people in hall, showers in next rooms, etc. Breakfast room is large and selection is varied and well presented. Standard fare. Good parking close to rooms.

Rooms are very nice, staff is the friendliest I've ever encountered, good dinning right next door and the outlets are within walking distance. Can't ask for anything more ! I stay here often and for a good reason.!

We have stayed at this hotel several times with a bicycling group. It works well for us, considering price, restaurants within walking distance, and jacuzzi after a long ride. We expect to stay here again on future trips.

I stayed one night in the summer - my daughter had a camping event in Mt. Madonna with her friends, and since I had to drive her there but didn't care to Camp, I reserved this place. There are so few decent places to pick, and this was the better of the group. I was floored by how much hotels in this area went for, though. People don't stay in hotels just to go to the Gilroy outlet, do they? I was very pleasantly surprised. The outside, with its bad paint job and totally retro reception desk, made me worry at first that my choice was going to go horribly wrong. But once I got into the room, it was an entirely different experience. The room was no frills but very nice and modern, the shower/bathroom just fine. For one night, this was all I needed. It was fine. Breakfast is in a room next to the reception. All the processed, microwaved food came out - you're not going to get anything freshly made here. The food is plastic. But hey, it's free. And it's Gilroy..... This place would do so much better to update the reception area by modernizing it a bit, and most importantly they need to repaint the outside instead of this dreary color that makes it look worn out. And all those curtains just look hideous and they stand out against the paint job.

Very clean place and very friendly staff. Very helpful and accommodating. And having free breakfast included was a plus! The location was perfect also. Places to eat and shops down the way. This was on overall great experience!

Was Satisfied overall with this hotel. Was great for a big family group and a nice pool area for the kids. Was also close to everything anyone would need; gas stations, the freeway, nice restaurants, & a variety of stores.

We usually stay at Best Western but this hotel was not up to par. Our Sink was cracked, mirror dirty from last guest, shower did not work and the tub did not drain. We were very disappointed to find our room in need of better attention. We have never experienced this a other Best Western Hotels.

This is the second time I have stayed here and I have enjoyed them both. This is a cute little hotel that offers reasonable prices with a good deal of comfort. The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. The parking lot offers ample space, even for larger sized vehicles. It located not to far from the main road. There is easy access to the freeway from here as well.

I am working at the renfair in Casa de Fruita and wanted a clean quiet and fun experience for myself and my teen daughter. The pool and breakfast made this perfect! The front desk goes above and beyond as the are always kind and helpful.

Stayed here overnight on our way back to San Francisco. The parking was free, the hotel was well located for the major roads and Gilroy Outlets. Reception check in was quick and friendly. Our room and the building was clean and well equipped. The décor seemed to reflect the ‘Forest' name of the hotel as everything was very brown and green and a little dark. Beds comfortable and linens nice and clean. Breakfast included in room rate and was more than adequate for all tastes. A little dark and dated but clean, friendly and fine for our needs.

The bedroom was fairly large, as was the bathroom. The breakfast included a large selection: scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, yogurt, cereals. I found a place to sit with no problem. The towels were a touch scratchy.

I always enjoy my stay at this Best Western! It's always comfortable and clean. I feel safe here as well. I go to the Bay Area for medical treatment and I stay here along the way. Conveniently located close to the 101 freeway.

The room was clean, comfortable, and convenient for us. The breakfast was good. It was good to have a refrigerator and microwave, The parking lot was crowded, busy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again if I have business in the area.

The rooms have fridge and microwave, which helps since there is no room service. The breakfast has many good options, though I wish it were available about 30 minutes longer. The wifi works well, and the TV offers more channels than most hotels. Conveniently located. The rooms are nice and in good condition. I really like the mattresses and pillows here. I stay here fairly regularly for business and keep coming back.

Vacation time with my family. Wonderful time at this Best Western in Gilroy. The room was clean and comfortable bed. The only problem was the jets in the hot tub did not turn on. The sauna was great as well as the staff.

The room was spacious and clean but a little dated. The bed is comfortable. Free wi-fi. TV stations are very limited unless you want to pay to watch. There is only one elevator which only worked part of the time. Since my husband has very limited eyesight so using the stairs is a definite challenge for him. The breakfast area is too small. It is hard to get to the food which was just average. There are not enough tables so my husband and I had to sit in the lobby to eat our breakfast. We were lucky to even get those seats.

Great place ! Staff are great very friendly ! Clean rooms and nice beds! We felt safe and nice and quite! We cone here 6 times a year to visit family and enjoy resistants walking distance too! See u soon!

During my interest research, this hotel was one of the top 3 in the area. It seemed like an upscale motel to me. All the staff were excellent. The only problems were the elevator was out of order upon arrival and our room was on the 3rd floor, bathroom light went out during our stay, and while the breakfast was great, it was soooo crowded in the morning, breakfast staff kept up well though,

Black Bear Restaurant was not good. A very expensive Denny's. The hotel hallways are not air conditioned during the summer. I stayed when it was 113 degrees outside which made the hallways hot,sticky and stinky. Gilroy is known of garlic. Lobby coffee was terrible.

Presumably you're going to the outlets, the amusement park, or are simply looking for a stop on 101. This Best Western is centrally located to all that mainstream Gilroy has to offer... 2 blocks off 101 and half a mile from the outlets. It's walking distance to your typical strip mall food (Chevys, Black Bear Diner, McDonalds, etc) and several gas stations as well. The front desk was very friendly and the property is nice. Theres a pool, hot tub, and sauna, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fruit). Also way above average coffee is available 24/7 in the lobby. The rooms were clean and had private patios. Well stocked with mini fridge, iron/board, coffee maker, desk, etc. and a nice big TV. My only complaint is that the bed wasn't comfortable. The mattress was old and had cranky springs, the pillows were small and lumpy, and the bedding was scratchy. It wasn't enough to make me not want to return; everything else was awesome and I slept well enough. But they might consider investing in an upgrade there. All in all I'd definitely recommend staying here, and think it was worth the price, if you're not a picky sleeper :)

I need a hotel that was efficiently located, safe, had comfortable and clean rooms. Best Western Plus Forest Park Inn in Gilroy was my first choice. I have been here on numerous times. Once, I came with my family on a short vacation. They felt comfortable and safe. This hotel had everything you could want for the right price. I will come here again and again.

The Hotel was average....if your looking for a place just to rest your head and move on I guess it would be ok....its not the cleanest location. The staff is definitely not a 3 star....i would say more like a 2 star on a good day.

She was not professional,rude. Poor old lady made you want to call corporate. No.sense of kindness. Told her you could mote with honey than you can with viniger, was so happy to have other front desk person help me. SMH

Had a lovely time here with my little boy and friends. Rooms were clean and fresh. Hotel staff exceeded my expectations with room cleaning and even giving my little one a dollar after the vending machine ate his! Definitely recommend this place!

Required handicap room which was located next to outside exit door. Folks stood in outside door to smoke, talk, visit and didnot shut door. Morning Help stood inside of door holding it open and talked, smoked. Weather outside was great! Plus when calling to get more towels (we had 2 bath towels, one wash cloth, 1 hand towel, drinking glasses (there was 2 in room) front desk said they'd deliver them in about 30 minutes. That was OK but after an hour, had to recall and was told "very busy, will take a while." They came 45 minutes after second call. We will probably stay there again simply because it has a wheel in shower for wheelchair.

We stayed here with our kids to get the packaged deal for Gilroy Gardens tickets-they're cheaper at $37 each with a one night stay. We had needed 2 additional tickets and when she rang up my purchase, she charged me $171 rather than $71. I didn't catch it until we were home and I saw my account. It took many phonecalls back and forth between the bank and hotel before it got fixed. The staff was apologetic and courteous regarding the mistake. The suite we booked was clean and quiet, it was perfect for a one night stay. It came with a mini fridge but it wasn't plugged in prior to our arrival. Those things take forever to get cold so if you plan on using it, ask the desk to plug it in prior to your arrival and turn to high.

I've stayed at several motels in Gilroy and the one I prefer is the Best Western. I have never had a bad experience here and the staff is the best. I will continue to use Best western as my preferred choice.

I was truly surprised by this inn. The beautiful greenery gave it a relaxing feel before I even walked in the door! I was greeted cheerfully. The service was friendly. Room was bigger than I expected - we even had a small patio! Everything was clean and quiet. I was just looking for a place to stay overnight and this was more than that. Breakfast was adequate with a few extra touches. I would definitely come back here!

Out of the motels in Gilroy ca, is like the 3rd best motel, or at least the best in the western Seriously, is the best of the affordable ones I come for work every Monday and leave Saturday I sleep better than I would in my house

Cracked sink, holes in the comforters, I'm positive the sheets were not switched out prior to our arrival, had a smell when you turned on the AC,toilet ran ALL NIGHT, those were not queen sized beds. Also the room was just dirty. It was not worth the money. I've never stayed at the Days Inn but I'm guessing that would have been better or equal.

Clean, neat, friendly, no breakfast was great I would recommend this to anyone. It was great to stay away from San Jose, which was crowded and loud....this place was convenient. We even enjoyed the garlic scent.

Good location right off Highway 101. Two restaurants within easy walking distance. Friendly staff greets you...and they are efficient in providing directions to room and parking. Appears to be utilized heavily by workers for the railroad, construction and power companies (vehicles parked t night) and families. Families with kids can be a challenge in the breakfast room...limited seating.

Clean, friendly hotel off 101. Only stayed one night, but the hotel fit our needs perfectly. Breakfast in the morning was a little noisy and crowded--appears everyone came to the dining area, for the included breakfast, at the same time. Check in, parking, check out easy. Room clean and quiet. Black Bear diner across the parking lot was good for a quick dinner and breakfast.

Great place to stay in Gilroy. Very clean and neat hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I travel through Gilroy again I plan on staying at the Best Western Plus forest Park Inn. Thank you to the staff.

The hotel is very nice and clean. Breakfast is great. The suites have a queen bed in the second room, but no TV or HVAC. Great for staying with children, but a waste for less than 4 adults, save your money and get a regular room. We will return ourselves.

Hotel was very nice as were the staff. Nice clean rooms, comfy beds, good breakfast options and nice heated pool with hot tub and steam room. Convenient for Gilroy Premium Outlets and nearby restaurants. Lots of free parking.

This is a real clean and nice place to stay. Right off the freeway, but no noise in our unit. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was good with a lot of selections. They even met us with a cart for our baggage so we did not have to look for one.

We love this Hotel, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff is wonderful, and the pool is great---even if it is a bit small. The shuttle for the Garlic Festival is awesome---and so is Frankie! See you next year!

Hotel was very nice as was the staff. Room and beds were very comfortable and everything was squeaky CLEAN. Overall a great experience. Breakfast was hot and hearty (but didn't have much GARLIC in it) after all we were in town for the GARLIC FESTIVAL!

My family and I stayed here before we went to Gilroy Gardens. Nice rooms, comfy beds, good breakfast options and nice heated pool the kids enjoyed and nice spa too. I would stay here again. You can find cheaper hotels in the area, but we thought it was a good value for what we received.

Stayed here in June to break up a long drive home from Santa Barbara and enjoyed a very clean and comfortable room. The staff is friendly and efficient and offer excellent customer service. Beds are very comfy, room has mini-fridge and microwave, coffee maker. We did not have breakfast so can't comment on that. The pool was a saving grace as it was over 100 degrees!!

The bed was amazing! Loved the blackout curtains and the great AC Allowed us to relax during summer where average temps were 105-109. The room was spacious allowing us to meet with other guests in our room. Loved the large shower head.

We had booked this hotel for 2 nights via telephone. Upon arrival the front desk informed us they had no record of the reservation and they had a group bus arriving that evening that would fairly well fill all their rooms. Even so, the clerk worked diligently and found a room with a king bed and a patio just off the pool area. There is a Black Bear restaurant across the parking lot that is quite adequate. Great time!

In town for a wedding which happened to fall at the same time as the annual Hollister Motorcycle Rally. This drove the nightly cost much higher than usual (all area hotels raised their rates). This also increased the number of bikes in the parking lot. Overall it was not a problem. The hotel is well located and clean. The breakfast is better than other similar hotels.

Family and I stayed here in June. Love that they have balconies and non carpeted floors. ( at least the room I stayed in). Pool area was nice, hot tub was relaxing and there was even a sauna! Had a minor issue in our room, staff was quick and courteous taking care of the issue. Would stay here again.

Very clean, quiet, and friendly hotel. Excellent breakfast menu. One of the best Best Western's we have stayed in. The pool was very clean and was at a temperature where you could enjoy the water. The room have private balconies which allows you to sit outside and enjoy the a conversation or just reading. We would recommend this Hotel.

Excellent place to stay for business or pleasure. Upgraded to a suite with my rewards membership. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Food is close by and can hop right on the freeway. Great hotel and staff.

This is a very hotel with an excellent hot continental breakfast. My only problem was flooding in the bathroom while showering due to shower curtain not reaching the floor in a handicapped equipped shower.

I loved the staff, very friendly and helpful. I loved the hotel, great ambiance and presence. The room was okay. There were a few issues with the cleanliness. (Mold in bathroom, weird white splatter in the floor, sticky handles, staining on the valance, loose wall sockets, and dust shooting out of the A/C). However, I would recommend this hotel to others for the rewards program alone. It's also close to the Black Bear Diner which is a great restaurant.

I originally gave this hotel a four star for cleanliness but I had to take away a star because of management's argumentative attitude. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hallways and rug in the room was not clean. The bathtub was dirty and contrary to what management said, the ice machine on the first floor was not working during my stay in September, 2016 and again during my stay in June, 2017. Tried to speak to three of the room maids and they did not speak English. The breakfast was ok, nothing great. The eggs were terrible on all days but Tuesday. They need to bring back the waffles and do away with the pancake machine. The pancakes are rubbery. The breakfast staff was not friendly or helpful like the crew in September.

The motel is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. The full breakfast was 5 star. Disappointed there was no DVD player and the pool was still dirty at 7:30 AM from all the activity of the day before. I don't know when it was cleaned, didn't follow up

I usually like staying at Best Western hotels but this one missed the mark. The rooms and hallways were not very clean and with no AC in the hallways, even the rooms were a bit uncomfortable. The staff were nice but this hotel really needs updating. Pool area was ok and breakfast was just ok too.

Over the last several years I've stayed here anywhere weekly to every other month. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's neat to come in and be welcomed by name. I'm a light sleeper and they always make sure I have a room away from the hustle and bustle.

The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Also super close to stores and restaurants. The breakfast had a good variety, just needed more fruit. We will definitely be staying here again

The room was very nice and was adjoining. Breakfast was very good with many options. Complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, and cookies were nice in the evening. We had a pet friendly room that was very clean. Not a Big grass area to take pooch however. Def a good experience.

I only give this hotel a poor rating bc the pool and sauna area were not secured. The gates were unlocked and/or rigged to stay unlocked and/or open. This is a major safety and security risk. It is unacceptable that this hotel is not protecting the guests security and their children's safety in the pool area. There also appeared to non hotel guests using the pool and sauna bc of this!

I recommend this place it was centrally located to everything. One thing I do recommend is to make sure you book early. My brother tried to book the same hotel and it was booked. Plus nice pool the kids enjoyed handing out in the pool area.

This was a very nice and very clean place. We had the "Family Room" that had 2 queen beds and it was fine. The morning breakfasts were good and we all enjoyed our stay. Our room had a small fridge and also a small microwave.

Clean, Friendly staff. Cookies and coffee offered in the afternoon. Nice pool, warm hot tub. I had requested a bottom floor near the pool and that is just what I got! Great breakfast. Had a Black Bear Diner right next door and who does't like that? Great place to stay while visiting Gilroy Gardens. My only complaint would be the people above us were heavy footed, but that can happen anywhere.

Our room was very clean & comfortable, free wifi, breakfast, fridge & microwave were a plus . We were pleased with the breakfast selection even though the dining area was filled with guest on a bus tour; however the attendant was very attentive to refilling food & supplies. This location is near the highway & several restaurants.

There was a tour group that occupied the dining area however, the attendant was on task replenishing food & supplies. We would definitely recommend this establishment!

Other than the very bad bed and the not good toilet the stay was very nice. Room was very nice and very well cleaned. Best Western need to do a hotel chain wide toilet upgrade, these old style low to the ground with high water level is no longer the way to go. Time to do a update.

This is the best Best Western Hotel that I have stayed at. The facility looks brand new. The rooms are comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. Having a Black Bear Restaurant next door is also a plus. Good food at reasonable prices.

Nice hotel, priced fairly, low rating given for sleep quality due to location of family suite above us. Lots of noise, next to high travel area of elevator, ice machine & laundry. We will definitely stay here again, just in a quieter room!

This is actually the third time I have stayed at the Forest Park Inn, but the first since it was acquired by Best Western. I enjoyed my previous stays, but I noticed the room now had wood flooring instead of carpeting (which made it feel cleaner to me). Breakfast is included, eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, cream cheese, coffee, juices, fresh fruit, yogurt.

This was a pleasant hotel with friendly people, the pool is outdoors but nice. The weather was great when we stay and we enjoyed the experience . There was the garlic thingy going on and it was great to have a nice place to rest after all that fun

Found this place and fell in love with it. Caring staff and clean rooms. Good stopping off point between San Francisco and Salinas. Visited the Steinbeck Museum in Salinas and did some shopping at nearby mall.

Friend and I accompanied our husbands on a business trip in Gilroy and enjoyed our stay. Had nice meals in San Juan Bautista and Moss Landing not too far away. IF you are in to outlet shopping, there are plenty of paces to choose from and the hotel is close by.

We spent one night here, while in town for a friend's birthday. It was a good choice. It is close to 101, making it very easy to find. Check in was straight forward & efficient. My room requests were honored, which I appreciate very much. Although I will say the front desk clerk could have been a bit warmer. But she did her job. We had the basic king room, 3rd floor, end of the hall It did not face the freeway, and we could not hear road noise. Our balcony faced a tennis court and parking area. Our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The curtains did a great job a blacking out the room so we could sleep well. The room was a decent size with a king bed, 2 night stands, a desk & chair, TV, dresser, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron & board, closet & luggage rack. The bathroom was spacious & included complimentary toiletries. Water pressure in the shower was great, with plenty of hot water. I made a cup of coffee & I'm sorry to say it tasted terrible. We didn't try the included breakfast since we were meeting friends, but I'm sure the coffee there would have been better. Check out was easy, and I could have used express check out, but I like to see my bill before I leave. My only real complaint is I sure wish people could learn to close their doors quietly. It was the only noise that disturbed us, and it happens at pretty much every hotel. People just let those doors go flying shut, & it's pretty loud. It would be great if folks could be reminded at check-in to hold the door & close it gently, since the doors will slam shut otherwise. We didn't get a chance to try the pool, but it looked inviting. We liked this Best Western and would stay here again.

The rooms were nice and bedding comfortable and clean, bath room big. Room had microwave and refrigerator. We had patio room. Pool and hot tub clean. Breakfast was good with serval options (eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, fruit , pancakes, juice, coffee, yogurt, cereal), pretty crowded but found a place to sit and eat. Black bear dinner in same parking lot. Plenty of parking for hotel.

Stayed here while visiting Gilroy Gardens. The hotel was convenient to 101 and was clean and comfortable. The rooms were on the small side and there were some sign of wear around. Breakfast was good and varied. One complaint is that they left the doors at the ends of the hallways open to the outdoors all hours so the hallways were cold in the mornings.

We paid $150 for one night and it was worth it. I wouldn't pay anything more than $150. It's not anything fancy, but It has a modern bathroom and new carpet. It does not look old. The pool was cold. It was supposed to be heated. My kids had fun swimming anyhow. The hot tub temperature was accurate. The hotel is right next door to a restaurant. We were able to walk across the parking lot to the restaurant for dinner. The breakfast at the hotel was great in consist of eggs, pancakes, bagels, and danishes. The lobby also had fresh cucumber infused water and cookies. Great place to stay.

Forest Park Inn is a great place to stay if you are in the area for business or pleasure. This hotel is conveniently located in south Silicon Valley and near many tourist attractions such as golf courses, Monterey/Carmel, camping, lakes, hiking, biking and many restaurants and outlet shopping. The hotel has many amenities and is excellent for couples and families including a tennis court, fitness center and a pool. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

This is the third time I have utilized this Best Western location for the one nite stay needed, before traveling back to Southern Calif. It has a very convenient location to US 101. I have also used my AAA membership for a small discount that almost cancelled out the occupancy tax added and not quoted to my bill. I had multiple family members stay the same night and they put our rooms near each other on the same floor even though we booked reservations separately. If you stay here ask for a "quiet" room on the 2nd or 3rd floor, not one with a freeway view balcony, especially if you like to sleep with the slider opened for fresh air. I have not experienced any negative issues involving room cleanliness or comfort. I have never used the Wi-fi provided here, so I can't speak to the complaints listed on TA. The TV has been upgraded to an HD provider with enough channels to make your head spin. The small microwave, fridge & coffeemaker come in handy (check to see if the fridge is cooling and not turned off to save power). Check-in is pretty quick and easy, the quaint water feature at the entrance will come "alive" at night. Staff is always courteous and professional. Parking is free and the lot well lit. I have always felt safe staying here. Some of the bargain cheap hotels nearby are in kinda sketchy looking locations. Just saying. The complementary buffet breakfast is just OK. They used to have those make it yourself waffle stations, sadly now replaced by a "push button" pancake machine. Is this a BW directive? The processed egg patty tasted better once the very nice attendant brought some salsa from the kitchen. I like my bacon crisp so I opted for the sausage links. I thought two years ago the had hot breakfast potatoes. They need to add some, really! The pastry, bagel, rolls, bread selection was ample and well laid out with some gluten free options. They had a good variety in the cereal dispensers for the kids. Fruit flavored yogurt in the cooler, yes! The OJ dispensed from the juice machine was really good- not too tart & no pulp. I recommend you arrive early, especially if you have a large group,as this location has a small by comparison dining room. The hours posted were 6:00am till 9:30am. I like to have a relaxing morning breakfast experience, that means getting there before 7:00am (there is a TV mounted above a fireplace, but the attendant could not get it working) I enjoyed the quiet. If you want better, or you oversleep and miss out, the Black Bear Cafe is steps away. I have yet to eat there, but check them out on TA and decide for yourself. The constant presence of law enforcement as regular customers has to be a good sign. After checking out, the easiest way back to the 101 freeway is out the ally to the left of the Black Bear cafe making a right onto Murray and getting in the outer left turn lane. Turning on to Leavesley Rd. Both South and Northbound entrances are from the right lane. if you pull out of the Hotel's main entrance you can only turn right taking you down toward Monterey Rd. and over a RR crossing. Then navigation back to the freeway gets into industrial areas, frustrating.

This motel was clean, comfortable and just minutes off the 101. The staff was helpful, the beds very comfortable,check in a breeze and there was a restaurant just across the parking lot. I found their complimentary hot breakfast one of the best I've had with fresh scrambled eggs and sausage along with the customary cold items.

We stopped at gilroy on the way from san Francisco to l.a, stayed one night. The room is big and clean. And we used an AAA discount. Parking is free and breakfast is included. The staff is friendly. There is free wifi (not the greatest)

Very nice hotel and i doubt there is another any where close to as nice and friendly staffed. Fitness center is great, pool and spa great too. If i had a tennis partner i would have used the court. Always a pleasant stay at Forest Park Best Western.

Was a nice location, close to everything, and the pricing was nice for the stay. It is an older hotel, so you will hear the floor above you, and the people in the rooms besides you. The grounds are very nice, and the surrounding area is enjoyable as well. Take the third floor if you can, or else it sounds like elephants are staying above you.

The BW Plus Forest Park Inn is a great place to stay. It is convenient for shopping at the outlets and a more economical option than the San Jose/Santa Clara area without a loss of quality or amenities.

I was out of town for 9 weeks painting a bridge for the state with Caltrans ,with a crew of 15. The Best Western was and is my choice for hotels from now on Par Excellence. My wife and I, now will seek Best Western out on our travels.

Took our grandkids to Gilroy Gardens for the first time.Would stay there again,we will seeing as we bought season passes for 2017.Great location,great breakfast and great room..We had the Suite and the kids had their own room.The only way to go.

Room was ideal for our cat but there was a mix up about when staff would come to do house cleaning. It was easily resolved by talking to staff. However we felt it is not a good value at $20 a night for the cat. A $10 fee would be more reasonable especially if your pet is very well behaved and you bring a scratching post and flushable litter, etc.

We had an executive room which was very large with plenty of space. We had new carpeting and partially updated bathroom. We enjoyed the complementary candy, bottle water, coffee and tea left in our room along with a large closet, microwave, and refrigerator. However,our sliding door to the patio was sticky and our view of the tennis court contained mattresses. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed cookies and coffee upon check-in. We also enjoyed the cool water upon check in with limes. This location is very cosy and reminded us of "bear country". There are statues of bears, water, a green exterior and walking distance to The Black Bear Restaurant also very bear themed. That restaurant has large portions however similar a Denny's. The staff was professional and friendly. The breakfast area was kept clean and had a nice variety of breakfast items. This location had many visitors yet it was quiet and well maintained. This location is a short drive to the Gilroy outlets and near a gasoline station.

I really loved staying here. The staff was so nice and always updating the place. New beds and linens were being put in the rooms as I got there. Comfort was number 1 for this hotel. I also loved having a balcony, makes a big different when you have a long stay. Thank you Bestwestern Gilroy

Had a wonderful 3 night stay as we came for a special family event. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is included and pretty good! Staff was very pleasant! Beds ar very nice, ice machine and soda machine available They have a nice exercise room too! Great for families or couples to stay.

Overall it was a good trip and convenient for the purpose we were there. The beds were a good size and the pillows were comfortable. The pool wasn't large, but it served it's purpose. Although, one of my granddaughters stepped on something in the pool area and cut the bottom of her foot.

My husband and I were delighted to have king room with a couch and fireplace. The room was very large and comfortable. We didn't use the fireplace but did enjoy the couch and roominess of the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. I would stay at this location again, and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

perhaps my stay at BW grosvenor at SFO clouded my views of what cookie cutter stay at BW should be. The bed/room here at BW is adequate and clean but the downsides are wifi signals is poor even on block nearest to reception. The breakfast fare is nothing to shout about ie omelette and salty sausages (which is bad for health esp. those w heart conditions No complaints about reception. location is very convenient being near to Gilroy shops. The drive here from SFO amidst heavy traffic is a pain unless your stay here is en route to other places in southern California BW should go visit BW Grosvenor at SFO and up their game here!

The room was clean and the service was great. The room had all the comforts you expect like a desk, chair to watch TV, hairdryer and such. It also serves breakfast which is one of the reasons I pick this hotel, but the room was very worn and dated, and the bed was uncomfortable My husband end up sleeping on the chair and we both had sore backs after the first night.We had a 60th Birthday party to attend and a long ride home afterwards. We were disappointed.

Not much of a best Western guy but a good nights sleep it's the heck out of a high-priced option. The service was first-rate only complaint was the Internet was down or computer not functioning correctly. If back in the area I would not hesitate to stay there

The hotel and staff were great, and as usual, we look for Best Western because they take dogs! They were very accommodating because we arrived at the end of the day and they did find us a room, even though the sign said no vacancy!

I am working in south San Jose and needed a quiet place to stay that was close and a good value. The Forest Inn met all my needs and I love the big parking lot and how quiet my room was. Also every room has a balcony. Thumbs up, I am staying a second week even though there are other hotels closer to work

My wife and I stayed for three nights at the Best Western. The location is good if you are hitting up the outlet malls. The rooms are nice with current amenities. The walls and doors seem paper thin as we could hear people slamming doors and talking throughout the early morning hours. The beds are very firm. The breakfast area was good. Nice selection of warm and cold food options.

we stayed at this hotel for 2 nts Sept 9-11, 2016 and very surprised of the big renovation from fifteen years ago. room 202 had an excellent location by the door, the bed was heavenly, all the amenities of the hotel, especially the microwave was an added bonus. love the continental breakfast which should be full breakfast. Mike, the manager was very helpful and answered all questions we have.

This hotel needs to be updated and freshened up. It is in poor shape with no decor on elevators and common areas. Overall all furniture is worn out and needs updating. Great location, it is to bad they advertise this hotel as a plus when it most definitely is not. More like a minus

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Forest Park Inn and for the price it is a good place to stay. It has seen better days and the common areas are old and worn, the elevators are very old, and the rooms could definitely use an upgrade.

We stayed for one night recently after seeing Lumination at the Gilroy Gardens. Felt very safe in this location. The location is two lights from the 101 Hwy and within minutes of all of the restaurants and shopping a person could need or want. The front desk staff was very nice and checked us in promptly and made a change in our room with no hassles. The King room with a fireplace was very clean and comfortable! We will stay here again if the need arises!

We stayed here for only one night having flown into SFO from London England we arrived around 6 pm totally worn out, we got a great welcome and the clerk had noticed our request for a quiet room and placed us perfectly on the top floor at the end of the corridor. The room was spacious and very clean and well furnished. We had a great welcome here and the only thing I could say is that perhaps the corridors etc are a tad dated and dingy but the room was great. BReakfast was very good as described and set us up for the day. IN order not not be In Bed by 6.30 we went to the Black Bear diner next door and had a drink and a snack and it was full of locals very welcoming and I can highly recommend it.

Great place to stay. Clean. Easy Check-In, Easy Check out. The breakfast was great. The location was perfect, since it was located fairly close to the 101. The staff was welcoming and courteous. We all got a restful nights sleep.

The Good: The location is great 15 mt drive from Gilroy Gardens. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Outlet malls across the street. Rooms were clean (the rugs could use some help). The front desk people were amazing, nice and helpful, they let us check-in early and brought us a pack-n-play 2 mts after requesting it. They also put us in a quiet room like we had requested in our reservation. The breakfast was pretty awesome too: oatmeal, granola, yogurt, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, pancakes, cereal, all sorts of cold and hot food. Not amazing food but way better than some cold pastries and coffee like most hotels. The pool was clean and well maintained. The Bad: The carpets really need to be replaced or cleaned. The location, again great for Gilroy Gardens but for some reason there were homeless people who wandered around the area looking for cigarette butts. Not scary or bad just weird. Overall I would stay here again and we are looking forward to it.

These folks really know how to make the place look good, on the surface. The outside grounds are beautiful. The rooms offer basic Best Western fare. Multi story building with an elevator. The rooms facing the highway are Super Noisy, especially on the higher floors. Parking can be difficult if you have a larger rig or tow a trailer. There is a Black Bear Diner in the same parking lot and it looks like they are affiliated with the hotel (but don't expect any discount at BBD). Too bad the restaurant doesn't provide the hotel breakfast because the free buffet breakfast the hotel provides is pretty poor. The stuff "looks" good, but doesn't tastes good. The staff appeared to be elsewhere, uninterested in guests. Pretty obviously not interested in being there. Reflective of hotel management no doubt. If you are a BW diamond elite, don't expect anything that you normally experience at other BW Plus locations. They just don't give a "you know what" here. Forget about a free suite upgrade, even when they have multiple available. Expect some double-talk and a sales pitch from the counter person if you ask. I will be sticking with Paso Robles or Salinas BW's when I need to be in this region. Families traveling will find this location at least as good as any other. Nice pool for the kids and real food & shopping close by.

A friend and I stayed overnight, and have stayed here twice before. Each time the stay was very satisfactory. The location was convenient, the room was sizable, clean and well equipped. The A/C was satisfactory, but wasn't great at cooling the whole room evenly. There are numerous restaurants, gas stations, and a "Premium Store Outlet" very near.

The hotel is outdated which is ok for us.But the room so dirty, the curtains and carpet so dirty. Breakfast is good compare to other chain. They have waffle maker, sausage, egg , bagel,toast and oatmeal. very close to outlet and gilroy garden theme park I will not stay here again.

Located close to shopping, restaurants, wineries, national parks, great for cyclist and hikers. Close to freeway and the cookies were a nice touch.

This hotel is upscale! Two solariums as you come in the lobby! A breakfast room that looks like a restaurant. Our room was very nice..a suite actually...It pays to be a Rewards member. Even got our free gift at check in! Room on second floor was very quiet! No problem sleeping in! Even had a balcony with two chairs. All the amenites were nice and worked. Beds were real comfy. Miama at check in gets 5 stars! Thanks to Chris (kris?) also. Absolutely no complaints!!! A little expensive, but if a Quality Nite's stay is what you want, it's worth it! Breakfast was pretty good for the continental thing. Gets crowded, so come early. The Black Bear Diner is across the parking lot and it is very good. Not overpriced either. Would come back again in a heartbeat.

We stay at the Forest Park Inn in Gilroy because they have a shuttle service leaving every 15 minutes that drops you off and picks you back up after you are finished near the front gate to the Garlic Festival. Sure beats trying to find street parking.

This hotel has very good lobby ambience. Our room is clean and comfortable. And, it has a spacious balcony to extend our rest other than the bed. We enjoyed their breakfast a lot. Front desk stuffs provided great service.

I chose this hotel because I had stayed here once before on a business trip, and was very happy with the hotel and staff. This time, I was taking my granddaughter to Gilroy Gardens, just 10 minutes away, and again, I was pleased! They honored my request to be on the first floor and close to the pool. The breakfast was ok, comparable to most other 3-star hotels. Very clean, comfy beds, working internet, clean pool (only 4 ft at deepest part), and nice, helpful staff. Will definitely stay again for business OR pleasure!

We have stayed here on a number of occasions on our travels through the Bay Area due to convenience to our route and enjoyed this facility . During our last two stays, approximately 10 months apart, we have seen a continued decline in the maintenance and quality of this establishment I am sorry to say. It appears that there new carpet was installed in the main corridors and the exterior has received a new coat of paint. Unfortunately the the new carpet is very dirty due to lack of maintenance. The exterior grounds, parking lot and in particular the entrances to the building were full of trash. In another example of how things have deteriorated is that the early morning desk person was also responsible for the breakfast buffet and could not be at the desk when caring for the food etc, at the breakfast area. In fairness to the hotel we had a nice room which was clean and met our expectations for this hotel. It was extremely quiet and the bed was comfortable contributing to a good nights sleep. The breakfast had a variety of food items and they were freshly prepared, give credit the desk lady for that. My review is extremely critical of this establishment as I feel it is a shame to see this facility in this condition. It has an excellent location and was a few years ago an out standing place to stay with a management and staff who took care of the facility as well as the guests. Get your act together or that Plus rating will soon disappear. Rooms on the top, 3rd, floor are very quiet. Rooms in the leg of the "T" with even numbers starting with X16 face pretty much face northwest and you can enjoy looking directly at the sunset over the hills from the balcony. Also the even number rooms are away from the pool side of this wing. Hope Management see the light and gets things under control!

I am totally happy with this place. Opted to stay here for the Garlic Festival and I am glad with my choice. Up until now I thought the Nicollett Inn in Burnsville, MN was an exceptional place to stay. This place ties it. Excellent restaurant right on the property, conveniently located for the surrounding area. Rooms were well maintained and clean. My only mark against them would be the lack of towel bars in the bathroom. Granted I can stuff it back into its cubby hole, but that lengthens the drying time. Staff at the front desk was polite and friendly each time I had gone in there. Yep, next time I come for the garlic festival this is the place to stay.

I stayed the night at this hotel for it's location. The room was clean & quiet, the staff friendly and breakfast had a good selection. I was here for business but if you have the time the Outlets are nearby.

My bed smelled like dog. The upholstery on the chairs was visibly stained. We threw towels on them before we sat down. The carpet was reeeeaaallllllly dirty. Apparently, it is pet-friendly, so they have that going for them. But, for me, I don't have pets, so the dog smelling mattress and stained carpet was gross. My luggage had dog hair on it. It wasn't even that cheap, so it totally wasn't worth my money. If the rooms are in that bad of shape, they should cost less.

We had a small family reunion and reserved two rooms, requesting they be close together. We got them right next door to each other and that worked out great. The rooms were big enough for the whole group to sit and visit. We also used the pool and hot tub.

The room was small for my taste & compared to other rooms I've ventured to. It was clean, but older. It's average and I would recommend if you're staying in Gilroy because it's one of the cleanest/safest ones in that town. Be careful where you stay because some of the hotels/motels their are used for drugs.

We stayed at this Inn for its location to Gilroy Gardens and its easy access to the freeway. It turned out being an excellent Inn and we would stay there again with no hesitation. Inn and room were clean. Staff was helpful, and we really enjoyed the pool.

We stayed one night in this hotel, the bedsand pillows were very comfortable. The room was clean and well kept. The bathroom was nice even though the toilet was slightly crooked. The staff was very friendly and efficient.

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Forest Park Inn in Gilroy. The hotel is located conveniently to Premium Outlets and a short driving distance to Gilroy Gardens amusement park. The room was excellent! It looks newly renovated and clean: hardwood floors, comfortable beds, refrigerator, microwave, fireplace, TV. The room was specious and had a balcony (third floor level). We like that the entrances to the hotel halls/rooms were only available through the swipe of our electronic key. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay. Additional plus is 2 min. walking distance to Black Bear diner restaurant. We really enjoyed food there. We would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again when we are in Gilroy!

It was ok, we have no complaints. As always with Motels, the rooms could be cleaner. But it wasn't that bad. The few staff members that I came in contact with were pleasant enough. The woman in the Breakfast room was really nice. The kids swam until night time and got good and tired. Its close to the outlets, which is a plus if you're going to shop.

Took friends here to go shoooing the next day. Booked King bed rooms but was told that as we had booked with hotel.com the only rooms available were disabled rooms on the ground floor. Noisy air con and fridge and next door to door leading out to car park which guests leaving from 5.00am continuously let slam. No large pillows but 3 cushion size pillows. Vagrant came into breakfast room and helped himself to everything before arguing with supervisor that he was a guest. Plenty of options for accommodation - look elsewhere. Response from management was not an apology but still inferring that the problem was ours.

We stayed here for 2 nights to attend a wedding in San Martin. There were virtually no vacancies in Morgan Hill, so we drove a little farther south to Gilroy and were glad we did. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is laid out so that it is easy to get a quiet room. Nice amenities. Black Bear Diner a short walk across the parking lot. Reasonable rate for the area - but I think this area is overpriced compared to many hotels in Silicone Valley.

WE really enjoyed staying here on our journey through California. The place was clean, had coffee and candy at the front with hot cocoa for my son. The room was nice with a pool and the breakfast was amazing!!!

If you are ever looking for a motel in the Gilroy area, be sure to consider the Gilroy Best Western just off Hy 101. It is attractive from the front lobby to the amenities of the room to the great pool and grounds. The room lighting is great with special above bed LED ceiling lights that are separately controllable for each side. The shower is modern and has great pressure and flow.

Located just off hwy. 101 with plenty of services if needed. The Inn is comfortable, clean and has a large bathroom and vanity area. Beds felt good (not too hard). There is plenty of parking, which also includes a restaurant on the premises. The complimentary breakfast is more than adequate and filling. The pool area is small, so if its a hot day it might be best to take a cold shower instead. Keep in mind it's a stop over Inn to other attractions in the region, and can be noisy (people & vehicle traffic). Big tip: Get a room to the far NNW wing; it's quieter. Not a bad place to stay overnight passing through. P.S. If you like garlic you're in the right area.

When there is a choice of motels I will pick Best Western, I find service and rooms excellent. The rooms are nicely appointed and also having a fridge/microwave in the room.The outside is well maintained, love the hand held shower/hose. No problems and I have used this motel in various vacation spots.

Stayed on third floor. Room was spic and span. Had a fireplace inside and a balcony. Had no issues with loud guests, although the door closed with a bang as did other doors on our floor. Continental breakfast was just that, a continental breakfast. But it was convenient since we had to leave early for the airport. The lady working the breakfast area kept everything fresh, well stocked and clean. We enjoyed having the Black Bear Diner within short walking distance. They serve southern food and being from Texas it was nice to have a taste of home. I recommend the bread pudding! The pool was ok but the whirl pool needed cleaning (algae build up) and the sauna is in need of severe attention.

I was a guest for 2 nights. The first night was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I asked for a quiet location on the third floor, and was placed next to a tour group guest ( Chinese group). They were extremely loud and slamming doors until 1pm in the morning. At 2am in the morning, someone came knocking on my door and this person did not appear to be a guest...but the worst part was at 4am when the tour guide of the Chinese group came around to the doors and started banging on the doors - wake up call next door to us. It was a horrible experience. I reported all this information to the front desk in the morning and I was informed that they have groups of Chinese tourists every Wednesday and next time, I could call the front desk if there were any concerns. I paid over 180 for that night and it would have been appreciated if I was not charged for this horrific experience, but the offer was not made....the second night was good. It felt like it was a nightmare. It is highly unlikely I will stay at any BW hotels....

We as a family expend three nights at this hotel, we really love our stay and planning to visit this hotel this weekend. We enjoyed the pool. The hotel offers hot breakfast, free parking, It counts with very helpful staff. Its room are very clean and supplied with shampoo, body lotion. The guest that we met were nice. It is a quiet hotel.

Nice rooms, service good, but grounds need better maintenance and pool area needs furniture and cleaning of area and pool. Gilroy is an unfriendly town and some of this is reflected in the staff attitudes. The Black Bear Diner in right across parking lot and Chevy's across street for convenience and Great Outlet Mall just down the street. Nice fitness center

Great location - easy highway access yet no highway noise. Restaurants very close and Shopping Outlet stores are nearby. Pool seemed heated! Breakfast was OK...Black Bear Diner was across the parking lot. Looking forward to my next trip.

The room was clean and well kept. The continental Breakfast was typical of most Best Western Motels. I booked the room the day of my stay, using the BW app. The value of the room was one of the best in the area.

This is a very nice best western , very clean . We were in the back higher floor which was very quiet. The breakfast is make your own pancakes , oatmeal, cereal , yogurt, fruit, bread etc. The standard stuff. There is free coffee and tea in the front area all the time. We found the front desk friendly and helpful for eating places. Gilroy is the garlic capital ... So be ready for the smell of garlic . I would stay again.

Room, on top floor, was fresh, clean spacious and comfortable. Just stopped over for outlets on road south, couldn't be better located. Breakfast described as "Continental ", wish all continental breakfasts were as adequate. Good value, pleasant staff.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, especially for the price. Wifi connection was good. They also had a nice breakfast in the morning to start your day off, although I think there were a few construction guys in there eating that I don't think were staying at the hotel.

Our room had a terrible musty smell. The wallpaper was torn in areas and the bathroom needed a paint job. The carpet was dirty. The beds were nice at least. The lobby area and breakfast area were updated and looked nice. We will not be returning to this hotel.

This is an older property but well maintained. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, but the halls and elevator need a facelift. This is a convenient hotel, near the 101 and next door to a good diner.

This location provides everything I myself and crew members need in a comfortable, clean, and accommodating place. Kris and Sandy are top notch in the service they provide and are very professional. Checking in is always easy when I know there behind the desk!

I have never had a bad experience at this hotel. The staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you have what you need and that your stay was a good experience. It is in close proximity to two restaurants, one is in the same parking lot at the hotel, the other one is across the street. It is also close to the freeway, fast food, if that is what you like. Shopping is also short drive.

Took a trip on a road we had never traveled. Had planned to go back home but it was too late. Stayed here.....have stayed here in the past and is always good. Breakfast is yummy. They have an automatic pancake maker which was cool....no fuss with pancake or waffle batter...just press a button and done.

The hotel is located easy to find off of 101. Its near alot of things and a gas station across the street with reasonable prices. Property was clean but old. Lots of updating needed in the main areas and hallways. Carpets especially. However they may need to be changed but they were clean. Whole hotel was clean and tidy. Rooms are HUGE! The king bed was dwarfed in the room. Plus it was relatively quiet. Didn't hear anyone outside or in the adjacent rooms. Again....rooms were very very clean. Bed was super comfy. So bottom line..... Would I stay there again....yes. Would I recommend to others....yes.

This hotel has a great location. Close to the freeway and close to the outlet mall! The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable and large and the facility is spotless! Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to this area.

breakfast was good and the time frame worked for us, but allowing our pet dogie was excellent! the first floor access for pets was ideal for us. the convenience of taking the pet out in the evening was a bonus. we will return to this hotel.

This hotel is old and needs to be renovated. The walls are paper thin and if you need sleep make sure the people next door are not party people. The carpet is old and burn stains. The ceiling in the hall way was dripping water and this was on the first floor. The comment after I mentioned it was. Oh we will call maintenance. (with no big hurry in contacting them).

Nice hotel with good easy access location. Property was clean and provided an excellent stay during local Morgan Hill soccer tournament. Rooms were quite and enjoy the breakfast variety each morning. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler visiting the Gilroy area

Reserved a double-queen room late in the week for an overnight soccer weekend. Price can be more reasonable, yet not overly priced compared to others. As other reviews mention, the outside of the hotel is dated and the interior currently is under renovations, this makes it deceiving at check-in. I anticipated less and expected something not to be right. But the service, cleanliness of rooms, comfort of beds, wireless internet working effortlessly, and a morning hot breakfast constantly being replenished by staff, proved me wrong. One very minor issue, We checked in late and found TV remote needed batteries. Being late at night, took some time for replacements to arrive - understandable. My family and I enjoyed the quality of service and cleanliness of hotel very much, when in this area again will plan to stay here.

This hotel has easy access from Hy. 101, and is one of the best we have stayed in in several years. It has very pleasant external features, even a cute mini-creek in front of the lobby with real live singing frogs. The room we were in was really nice and was a good size, with a balcony. All the features worked and the lighting was good as well, which is appreciated by us who are in our 70's.

Very clean and attractive Best Western. Only 10 miles to Mission San Juan Bautista. Just down the street from the outlet mall. Was traveling with my 9 year old son. We got a room with two Queens. It was clean and we had no issues with the room or the bed. All in all a great choice.

Nice property. Room was clean and well appointed. 2 minor issues; heater had a hard time getting the room warm, it was 50 inside and 45 outside when we walked in and the room refrigerate made a high pitch sound. I unplugged at and all was good. Good stay, nice breakfast. I would stay there again.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years or so and while there has been occasional issues, the staff were usually able to resolve any problems. This visit was problematic due to the spotty internet. The trip was unexpected and as a grad student I had to take my work with me. There was enough planned down time to do homework, but right off the bat I had issues with the internet. I called the number the desk gave me, but they were unable to resolve the issue. I could have moved everything up to their business center, but my level of frustration demanded I just close my laptop for the moment. I was told there were going to reset the system. I'd hoped that would take care of the issue, but it did not. I was not due to fly out until the next afternoon and had hoped to spend the morning of departure with family, instead I was up at 3 am getting an earlier flight to get home to finish my homework. I guess I should be grateful for the people in the hall at 2:45 am who woke me up as my alarm didn't go off, but the late night noise the night before from people in the hall and the heavy footed tromping above my head the night before was quite unwelcome. And seeing people smoking on their patios after just signing my life away acknowledging that this would incur a fine made me shake my head, especially as the smell was not tobacco. This probably won't prevent me from staying here again as it is very convenient for my family and an affordable option. I would like to suggest a designated smoking area that is convenient for those who have walking difficulties. This would maybe prevent people from smoking on the patios and balconies.

The hotel is close to the highway but far enough away you don't have freeway noise. The breakfast was fine and no charge. Room was clean. Hotel is being refurbished. This did not interfere with anything. Pool is heated.

great hotel!!! I had to work in santa clara for the superbowl but I chose to stay at this hotel. I had stayed here a couple times before- it's in a great location near the outlets of gilroy, staff is super friendly!

Close to the highway, this hotel was convenient for a one-night stay. Not much noise from the highway but we could hear the people above us. Ask for a room on the top floor to limit the overhead ruckus. Some renovations are ongoing and here's hoping they include new beds and pillows as the ones in our room were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok and it's nice to have a few hot choices.

Toilet seat wobbled and people above stomped around, but breakfast was great and check in and out was quick. Beds weren't as comfortable in this room as the room I had last time. Had dinner at a restaurant across the parking lot, and that was pretty good.

Rated AAA 3-star, this hotel needs to be downgraded to 2-star. The list of problems are extensive. Stairways were littered with caked mud from workers' boots. Sound insulation from the room above was lousy (stomping sounds late at night). Cigarette butts littered areas outside public doors. 25-lb dumbbell missing in fitness center, as well as non-functioning water cooler and no towels. The hotel apparently has corporate contracts with utility companies, and so heavy equipment in parking lots started up loudly at sunrise. The air conditioning stopped functioning and needed to be "rebooted." The overhead light in the bathroom stopped functioning on the morning of our check out.

The hotel itself is unassuming from the outside but very welcoming. The room we had was very spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable, unlike many other hotels we've stayed in lately. My only complaint is the noise. We are in a pet friendly room, which happens to be next to an entrance door which slams shut each time someone comes into the building. It also sounds like a herd of elephants is in the room about us. I'd suggest asking for a room on the top floor. If you have a pet(s) and have to stay on the ground floor, make sure it's not next to one of the entrance doors...or bring earplugs! Other than that, really nice hotel with friendly front desk staff.

Ok so the only good thing about this place is they allow our furry friends. & the room is semi nice, hardwood floor. BUT THE WALLS ARE SUPER THIN! You can hear everything & everyone so clear as if they're all in your room. So guess who got no sleep? -_- & it wasn't just at night, it was in the middle of the day as well when I was trying to nap, but guess who only got a 5 minute nap? -_- The beds are really hard & the pillows are really small. So you can imagine with all the noise going on & my little dog, she was also bothered at the noise. I loved having her with me but I hated that neither of us got any sleep.

We traveled with family member and requested rooms to be separated (had enough family togetherness on the long drive). The front desk clerk "teased" us about this twice and said he was going to call our family member's room and tell them we didn't want to be near them. I don't care what you call it, this kind of "teasing" or "giving you a bad time" is completely unprofessional and rude. Second, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations. The corridor to our room had the walls scraped and prepped for painting. PLEASE, Hotel Management, please recognize that this is a shock to your guests who are expecting a peaceful night's stay, not a construction zone. When checking in, you should have let your guests know and discounted the rooms 20% just to soften the shock. It's completely unacceptable to do that to your guests and still charge them full price. Though the rooms were otherwise nice and the breakfast was good, these two missteps in management and customer service were completely unacceptable.

We use this hotel when we attend events in the area - we've always been more than satisfied. It's locatted close to where we need to be, there are plenty of restaurants in the area and it has excellent freeway access.

This hotel makes me feel like I am on vacation, even though I am always here to work. I teach in the conference room in the evening and staying here makes it so I have no "drive to work" at least on the day of the class. The hotel has such a pleasant outdoor feel to it, it seems like you are in some beautiful forest setting. Sometimes I get an upgrade to a suite with a fireplace. The breakfast is always hot and good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool spotlessly clean.

Gilroy is a pleasant little town nearby to San Cruz and other beachy destinations. I found a super saver for this hotel and fell in love with it. Will definitely stay here again although will probably never find that kind of savings again.

Have stayed here several times for business. Very comfortable Hotel. Clean large rooms , Great pool / Hot tub area. For some reason it reminds me of being at a Hawaiian resort. Must be the Grounds and large Hallways. Best hotel in the area. Good rates also. Excellent staff and customer service. The restaurant in the parking lot "Black Bear Dinner" is way over priced. $16.00 for a cheese burger and fries. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

We Stayed here on our way to San Francisco from Calabasas for one night. It was very clean and the rooms were spacious! The staff were lovely and friendly. We didn't get up for Breakfast so cannot comment on that. It is a really nice setting and for £88/$125 it was a good price. We ate at the Applebee's right next to the hotel, although there were a few places to choose from, there is also a Walmart right next to this hotel too if you need supplies! The room has a microwave and Fridge and the TV has cable with an excellent selection of channels! Free Parking.

Great Room! Breakfast can be Improved! Great stay and nice place for the value. Black Bear Diner in Parking Lot... Great Dinner! The staff did everything o accomadate our needs and make sure we had everything we needed. We had a service dog and they made sure our room was ready early as requested and also gave us a late check out . Also if we needed more time they were willing to give us more time for check out. The front desk lady was so nice but I forgot her name. SORRY! The only thing was the Breakfast was not acceptable like other Best Western Hotels. Thank You foe everything!

I booked a suite with 3 queen beds for 5 of us. Value for money since we were only staying for 1 night and will be off in the morning to monterey. The suite has 2 rest rooms and 1 bathroom. No heater in 3rd queen bed room. Hotel was beautiful from the lobby area to the rooms. Toiletries were of quality. Breakfast was adequate. You cannot get to rooms without going outside as the rooms and lobby were not connected. It was very cold on the night we arrived so we literally have to run to the next building with our heavy luggages. The beds were comfortable though. Would recommend this hotel to any traveler.

I would have given 5 for the room, but it is on the 2nd floor. I have a small dog and having to take the elevator down to take him out will be a challenge. But the room is beautiful. The fireplace is a really nice touch. And my husband is thrilled to have a couch! The man who checked us in was pleasant and efficient. So I will add more after my good night's sleep.

Everything was almost perfect. If only the wi-fi was as good as everything else. Room came with a microwave, fridge, HDTV, coffee machine, dryer. Beds were comfy, decent amount of blanket material. My only issue was I didn't know how to activate the shower in the bathroom. I resorted to just using the bathtub.

This is a great place to stay. Close to the outlets. There is a restaurant in the same parking lot, with another one across the street. The staff is great and goes out of their way to your stay a nice one. I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for one night only, for business and I just needed a place to sleep. The room was clean and had refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, TV, Internet. All worked fine. Breakfast was what you expected from Best Western.

If you travel with your pet, don't stay at this hotel if you are looking for a well appointed, odor free comfortable room. We stay at Best Western Plus hotels frequently as they are 'pet friendly'. Although the hotel has specific rooms designated as 'pet friendly' as some guest have allergies, you cannot tell the difference between the types of rooms. This hotel 'pet friendly' room provides vinyl floors, below average furniture and they smell like a pet grooming facility. We will never stay at this hotel nor recommend it.

If you are looking for a economical hotel near San Jose (20+ miles north) this is an excellent choice. No traffic noise. Near shopping. Easily $50 to $100 less than staying in San Jose. Morning traffic was light and easy going north. I would stay here again.

Clean, quiet, good breakfast. Nice diner on the property, too. Price was right! Stopped here on way home to L.A. during a rain storm at night. Had to get off the road, too dangerous. Was pleased with this Best Western, would recommend as a good reliable stop for the night.

This was the first time we stayed at a Best Western Plus hotel. We chose it because of the fitness center. The bathroom amenities were better than a regular Best Western, the room was larger, and the bed more comfortable.

This was our 2nd stay at this Best Western Motel. We like its location near US101 and restaurants (Black Bear Diner). The rooms are clean and comfortable and during our recent visit, the rooms were being upgraded to wood laminate flooring. Our room was recently completed with the new flooring and it was nice. The hallways were cold, but it was cold outside and some of the outer doors were being left open. Otherwise, a very nice stay and I would recommend this motel to others staying in the Gilroy area.

This hotel was excellent for the cost and in a great location. We reserved a room with a fireplace which was very roomy and comfortable. We used the fireplace each evening. The facility also had a tennis court which we used.

Our fourth stay for our annual girls' shopping trip! Very comfortable, quiet room! Enjoyed having that 3rd queen bed! Nice having the microwave too! Will definitely stay here again for our nice stay! This location is central to shopping, plus walking distance to Black Bear diner and Chevy's for dinner!

The room was nice and clean and comfortable, but the breakfast leaved a lot to be desired. The saving grace was that there was a resturant across the parking lot that served breakfast as well as take out dinners if you wanted to eat in your room.

Great Place to stay. Walked in with no reservation and they found me a room and even got me a corporate rate. couldn't be happier. Room even had a fire place!! Located in the same parking lot as the Black Bear Diner. I love that place. If you find yourself in Gilroy this is the place to stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst touring the West Coast of the US. It was the third Best Western Plus hotel on this trip, the most expensive and very disappointing. We had most expensive and the poorest value. The room smelled 'musty' it looked dingy and there were cigarette burns in the carpet. The windows in the lobby area and in our room were filthy. The breakfast room was far too small for the number of guests staying, so we ate our breakfast in the seating outside the dining room. We were there on a Sunday morning, the toaster wasn't working, I was advised by the hostess I could make toast in the waffle maker, but another guest was at that moment trying to wrestle her waffle out where it had glued itself into the waffle maker, so I decided against that. There were no muffins, 3 pastries left, not replenished, and the the fruit consisted of only apples. On this same trip we had stayed in Best Western Plus hotels in Goleta and National City San Diego, both of which I would recommend without reservation, sadly Best Western Forest Park Inn was not in the same league, either in terms of cleanliness or decor. We would not choose to stay here again. Sorry.

This property was fine. It's what I used to expect of a Best Western Plus Property. The parking was pretty tight but everything else was fine. Sadly, most Best Western and Best Western Plus Properties are no longer this good.

Best Western likes to say that they are updating their hotels. Well I have stayed at several lately and all of them have been like flying in a 20 year old plane. Kind of gross and don't want to touch anything. The room was dated. The internet was down. There were several spiders that I had to personally exterminate.

This place was affordable, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and very nice. We loved the hot tub and the free breakfast as well! Overall, it is a an above average budget hotel that is comfortable and welcoming.

Great place to stay, wonderful facility, nice filling breakfast with many choices, friendly staff, easy freeway access. Stayed here for a weekend to attend the Holister Reneissance Faire which as about 20 minutes away.

The A/C blows strongly onto one of the beds in a double queen room. Don't know if it can be changed due to the design of the system and room size. Carpets very dirty, but they do allot of business so it's busy. Definitely a 'Plus' over a regular BW

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel: amenities, location, and price. The bed linens make the bed soft and comfy. The bathroom was spacious. The buffet breakfast, included with the room, was generous. The hotel is conveniently located off the 101 Fwy and walking distance to local restaurants, Everyone in our group enjoyed the stay. We recommend this hotel.

Terrible bed, air conditioner old and noisy. Door had been shaved on the jam side and unpainted. Had to ask the housekeeping staff to make up the room 2 of the three days we were there. Difficult to communicate with housekeeping, did not speak english.
