The hotel is located conveniently next to a tram and a bus stop that will take you to the center in 15 minutes. Staff is mostly friendly, very helpful. Rooms are clean, breakfast delicious, the burger at the restaurant was amazing.
I like this hotel. It's not the most central to be fair but the tram is literally just outside. There are a few restaurants Italian & Asian plus a McDonald's & small supermarket. Rooms are spacious & clean. The beds are more to the soft side rather than firm but not too soft. The staff have always been great with me so I have nothing but praise for them.
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 young children. The front desk staff reached out to us though email to confirm our reservation of the baby cot and everything was ready when we arrived to check-in, including the sofa bed for our older child. It was a very comfortable stay and the breakfast was amazing. My in-laws that were traveling with us were also happy with their room and amenities.
This hotel was a great value for the money. The room was clean and very nicely stocked. It has a towel warmer, scale, sewing kit, robes, slippers, and more. It did not have shampoo or conditioner though. The breakfast was the nicest hotel breakfast I've ever been to and blew the hotel breakfasts in the US out of the water. It's a little ways from the city, but we took a train without issue. There is also a grocery store directly across the street if need be.
The rooms are dark, floor plan not the best, furniture is outdated and the AC struggled to maintain a 75 F. The sinks in our 2 rooms drained slowly, their plumber seem to be lost at installing drain caps. But breakfast was superb, almost saved it all.
Really enjoyed our stay at BWP. Located in more suburban area but steps away from trams, bus stops & short walk to subway. Grocery stores also right across from hotel. Staff were super friendly & helpful. Front desk Lisa exceptional. We were there for friend's wedding and had special wedding party rate. Hotel exceeded any expectations. Nice bar / lounge area closes at 12am. Full hot breakfast from 6:30-10am. Very clean, very cozy hotel.
Always cleanliness is the first thing I think of staying at this hotel. It is also very convenient, safe and cosy stay with the staff and facilities. I like that even when traveling alone and having to go around to many cities, the hotel allows baggage storage and makes it very easy.
We chose this hotel mainly because the close proximity with the US consulate in Frankfurt. Very happy with our stay. Very helpful staff. Great food in the restaurant including several vegan options. Rooms facing the street are a bit noisy so ask fir a room facing the inner yard.
Stayed at this hotel over Christmas visiting family in Frankfurt. Good location with easy access to public transport and only 15 minutes from the city centre. The room was very clean, well equipped and a good size. Excellent breakfast buffet and very friendly and helpful staff.
For 200 Euro, its not what you would expect... but! its a nice place in a 'practical' location. We had the unfortunate chance to stay there in July when the Air Conditioning was completely OUT in the entire hotel. Not ideal. Maybe call ahead to ck if all systems are GO, before you GO?? :-)
Either your on a business trip or vacation this hotel is awesome and not to far from down town of innerstadt (down town), about 10 min lots of shopping great restaurants. Very easy to take either U-Bahn (subway) tram (trolley, cable bus) I bought day passes as it's cheaper and you can choose transportation means (not including taxi). Hotel staff are very helpful and polite and care about you as a guest. Breakfast buffet is AWESOME. Bar is a great place to unwind. The rooms are very nice with beds you can sleep completely in, coffee machine, tea. Big tv but unfortunately all channels are in German and foreign movies, series are dubbed into German only minus that you can't get in English. Overall I hade the best business trip and felt somewhat as home of STOCKHOLM sweden. I can really recommend this hotel and town. I'll sure be back.
The place has good and variety of breakfast. Big clean room and bathroom with well attention to detail of special request. Also help me reserve taxi to airport and allow me to check in early when the room is available late at night time when i arrive. The team lead check in counter lady, who station at night shift is nice and knows what she is doing. Thank you for a good stay!
Amenities and room decor were lacking. Service was always friendly. I would give a higher rating if the problems I reported were at least addressed, even if unable to be resolved. The location was very convenient to the train/bus routes, and very close to my meeting location.
We usually try to stay right in the middle of where we want to be. BUT, traveling in a car -- and with Frankfurt the first stop -- We wanted something that'd be fairly easy to get into and out of. And keep this in mind -- parking in Frankfurt is expensive. So -- we decided to stay a couple kilometers outside the immediate downtown. Was great. This hotel is very nice. If you are from the US and thinking old school BW, think again. BW in Germany -- very good hotels. This one, no exception. There's bar/restaurant onsite if you want to wind down after a long day. There's also a very good restaurant across the street -- (Thought VERY WARM in the late summer at least) -- The hotel has AC, too -- which CAN be a luxury when traveling in Germany. It's truly easy to navigate to the main places you want to be.. We took light rail 18 to downtown.. 5 or 6 stops is all and there you are! So simple. and it's cheap. Buy a DAY PASS.. instead of paying each time.. I can't say enough about this place. The front desk was also eager to help and they pointed us in the right direction for the transit, etc. ONE KEY PIECE OF ADVICE -- while they do have FREE parking -- which is advertised -- it's VERY limited parking. They DO have a garage for 12 Euro a day -- which is still a bargain compared to other places especially downtown. But if you want truly free -- you have to be lucky. We were. Hey, it's dessert! for that price. and more.
I don't suppose that I was really expecting that much when I booked in for a one nights stay at this establishment a few weeks ago. I was, nonetheless, very pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. This started with driving into the tight underground car park - the entrance is really a squeeze for someone driving an Audi Q7!! Inside it was relatively empty and ultra bright and clean. There was good signposting to reception where check in was managed very efficiently by some very friendly and polite young ladies. My standard room on the first floor was modern and functional. There were two single beds, a flat screen TV, small arm chair, safe in the wardrobe and free WiFi (which worked). I also appreciated the large designer bottle of water. The separate bathroom had a good quality walk in shower with all the usual toiletries. Everything was sparkling clean. By the way the public rest rooms were also sparkling clean. I don't recall the last one I used which also offered a mouthwash and other potions and lotions. Breakfast was a really good buffet style affair. It was quite late so there weren't so many guests. For 9,00€. You can't complain. I had chosen this hotel for it's proximity to the US Consulate General. I don't think that I was the only one doing that. So for me, the location was perfect - on this occasion.
I stayed at the Best Western for 8 nights. I was travelling for work. Check in was easy and I was lucky that my room was ready by the time i arrived. Staff were friendly but not very well informed to be of much help when it comes of how to get around in the city. The room was nice and clean when i check in but housekeeping was poor during my stay. I have noticed that the duvet cover on my bed was never changed at all and my room was not vacuumed. It looked like they just emptied trash cans and made the bed and that was it. Breakfast was very good. I loved it. However, the WIFI did not work over the weekend and I could not believe the hotel did not have a back up plan to help guest getting online. I had to buy a sim card since I was there for work and I needed to have access to email. In terms of location, it is far from the shopping streets and the old town but a short walk to a tram station.
I did not expect my stay to be this comfortable. The hotel is located in the beautiful area and has super clean facilities and very nice staff. The hotel surprises you with delicious breakfast. I recommend this hotel 100%
The Hotel is pretty much what we expected, clean with polite and very kind persons at reception. The real nightmare was the waiter at the bar. My colleagues and myself (5 people) were chatting and drinking in an outside table. We ordered 4 rounds of beers when we asked if was possible to have something to eat. I know that in Germany is not use to bring chips or olives with the drinks, that's why we asked TO BUY something. The guy answered very shortly (rude) that the kitchen was closed. After that one of my colleagues told us to have in his backpack a small package of chips to share. When the waiter saw us “eating” the chips he came back YELLING that we were not suppose to eat our own food. He literally destroyed our evening! Some of us was almost shocked, while the waiter was yelling at us he came physically near to the table almost threatening us. One of us tried to calm down him, speaking in german but he continued even more loud, despite we were clearly uncomfortable with this situation. It's not hard to understand why this bar is always empty while the other two nearby are full. Sorry for the hotel personnel, but I will ask to my company to not consider this hotel anymore!
Every was great. The fact that there was no hot water during my stay is just bad luck I guess. Otherwise, the room was nice, breakfast appropriate and parking was easy. Would definitely go again when the hot water issue is solved.
Clean, spacious rooms, great breakfast and only a few tram stops to the centre of Frankfurt. Great little Italian restaurant just down the road too and lovely cocktails in the hotel bar. Stayed here as part of a large wedding party and they accommodated us all well. Good email communication prior and customer service whilst there.
I stayed here 3 nights on business. The complimentary breakfast was available as early as 6:30 am and was fantastic - eggs, waffles, fresh fruit, cheese and meats, yogurts, cereal, pastries... you name it! My room was clean, with a nice window and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet at night. Mini fridge in the room. Shower, no tub. I read that the front desk has some converters for their sockets if you forgot to bring one. The bar/restaurant area has a very comfortable, low key atmosphere with very friendly staff. I walked to the old town area from the hotel, but it's a little over two miles. it's easy to take public transportation there if you don't want to walk.
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Room was a nice size, beds were like sleeping on a cloud :-) Breakfast was perfect, with waffles, omelettes and fried eggs made to order, and plenty of sweet and savory toppings and breads.
Booked on line. But this hotel charges upfront. Anyway checkin was quick. Hotel location is good. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff were courteous. Very good complimentary breakfast, free Wifi is quite fast. One thing queer about this hotel is that the water kept in a nice bottle is free only for the first day\\night. Further we need to buy. Staff when queried, curtly said it is policy.
Stayed there as I had a new the next day in the same part of Frankfurt. The room was OK and the breakfast. The staff were helpful. The only downside was that there was problems at the checkout with the computer system and it took ages to checkout. Otherwise OK with on-site parking and garage parking.
We recently had a family appointment at the US Embassy in Frankfurt and stayed in this hotel. It has easy parking - and is within an easy walk to the Embassy. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean. The restaurant was nice. We enjoyed the stay. Has a great breakfast buffet.
The hotel is a great deal for the money and the staff and extras they provide make it feel a bit like mom is taking care of you. The hotel is also conveniently located near tram 18 that takes you directly into the heart of Frankfurt.
I have only positive things to tell about this hotel. Super friendly staff, clean climate controlled rooms and bathroom superb breakfast and locked + tagged luggage room. Good connections to the city. I can highly recommend this hotel!
Staying in this hotel is alway great. I come here every two years to take a training in of course the Consulate of Frankfurt and this hotel is walking distance to it. They offer great breakfast, clean rooms, and parking space for the vehicle. Recommend.
I was guest at this hotel on several occasions in the period 2008-2014 since my employer always booked the hotel. I always stayed for 7 days. The hotel is close to the airport and the center of the city. The rooms are clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast is versatile even picky eaters can have something different every day. in summer the bar offers nice atmosphere when one does not like to go downtown
The rooms are spacey and clean and the A/C works too. The breakfast buffet has everything you will need, but I had to ask the staff to restock things that were not available; I would have wished that they did this themslves until waiting for a guest to make them aware. The only real down side is the limited parking space available.
Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Great air conditioning but windows open also. The staff are amazing. The bar staff are brilliant. Remembering us on a daily basis. Highly recommend staying and eating and drinking here. Absolutely amazing
We stayed here for business at the United States consulate . It is literally 5 minutes by walk. Thoughtful polite efficient staff and easy straight forward parking underground . High speed wireless. Near the Subway as well !!! This was our first trip with our small infant and the hotel was extremely accommodating Generous breakfast Free FAZ and financial times daily Will stay again for sure!!!!
Was dubious about staying at a Best Western, but Best Westerns in Europe seem to be a lot better than many of their counterparts in America. This was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. Not a stray hair to be seen. Breakfast is included and offers a respectable variety. No, it's not in the most dynamic location, but there isn't all that much to see in Frankfurt in my opinion. I actually walked about 45 minutes to the Alstadt area of town to shop. I love to walk, so I could get just about anywhere in town on foot. I did take a MyTaxi (local version of Uber) a few times. I would definitely stay at this hotel again upon visiting Frankfurt.
This is the second time I have stayed here, the rooms a well appointed and clean, the hotel restaurant across the road serves great food and the hotel atmosphere seems to always be good. This hotel is great value for money
I had a great stay at the hotel! Nice atmosphere and nice room with a good bed and shower. The Hotel had its own garage which is a big plus. Hotel is maybe a little far from the city centre but if you don't have any plans on visiting it this hotel is perfect. Breakfast was offered enough choice and the staff was friendly. Depending on your reason of visiting this hotel can be recommended.
By chance I ended up at this hotel. It is not so central compared to the city center, but I can strongly recommend this as an alternative. Very nice staff, pretty and clean rooms. Fantastic good breakfast.
I spent 1 night here while on a business trip. The hotel service was very good. The food in the ground floor bar/restaurant was very tasty and prepared in full sight of diners. Breakfast was typical continental and good. The gym is quite small.
One afternoon, when I returned to my room I noticed that my alarm watch was disappeared with my slippers. I did not find them. I reported to the housekeepings foreman, who came with housekeeperman to my room. He told then, that those are in my luggage. I opened luggage and those were there ! Why in earth ? In the evening I later saw that the nice present from hotel manager was stolen from my side table !! He had taken it to himself. And I did not get the similar one from reception, as manager was off-duty. I become really angry. Besides I bought Fanta from the drink automat in the same floor and it was really bad. I looked the last drinkable date and it was over 2 months old, in August. So a little tip to you. If you visit the hotel, keep always " Don´t disturb " outside your door or be at present and watch after housekeeper´s work. And put a little valuables in your safe in the room.
Situated right at the metro, supermarket, good eateries and a nice neighbourhood for a good walk in the evening. A good and simplistic breakfast, being a vegetarian pretty much eat the same thing for 5 days (lol). Rooms are comfortable and cozy, and a good front desk. They have a room downstairs to freshen up, incase you have checked out early but have a late evening flight. Very helpful and courteous staff.
Nice, clean, quiet rooms, friendly service, very accommodating to early check in (thanks!), excellent breakfast buffet. Location was good for our purpose, parking available at no cost, good restaurant.
I stayed at this wonderful Best Western when visiting Frankfurt for business. Even though I was only there only for one night (plus some morning time) i can genuinely say - this hotel is truly fantastic! Here's why: 1. Located literally 5 minutes walk from the American embassy. If you need to go to city center it's one line away from Hauptbahnhof. 2. Kind staff - as a start check out is at 12 (and not at 11 like most European hotels). In my case specifically I've asked for a late check out due to a morning meeting - without thinking twice the lady from reception already gave me a 'minimum' of a half an hour extension. How thoughtful! At the end I did not use it but I cant ignore nor forget that gesture as it is not to be taken for granted. 3. Awesome breakfast - also included ice water (especially for Americans) rich varieties of veggies, eggs and ham. 4. Awesome dinner with great service - the waiters (especially Walt C.) didn't stop checking if the guests need something, wonderful service and not typical for german hotels, just wow!!! Needless to say that the food was really in top quality, very fresh and tasty! 4. Room - great comfy bed, even though I had a twin bed - it was still very comfortable. Full amenities included a robe and slippers. The room was quiet enough to sleep in even though my room was located straight on the highway. 5. Tea varieties - here I was seriously impressed - usually in hotels they kinda give you samples of a few tea types they pulled out of the big saving pack. Here I literately found all kinds (you know because all the hotels are using them) which was really amazing to find! I only had one kind since it's the only one I like but that's my point exactly, the variety is aimed to all flavors which is something I really miss in hotels nowadays. Would I come back? Absolutely yes!
A large group stayed here over a long weekend for a rugby tour in Frankfurt. The hotel was excellent and the staff first class. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms, beds , showers all excellent and the service was not lacking for anything. The restaurant and breakfast offerings were also really good. I would recommend this hotel anytime.
Clean hotel with spacious rooms, good breakfast, plentiful TV channels and fast internet. The room is well-outfitted with plenty of outlets, lights, sitting room furniture, hot water heater with tea and coffee, an iron with ironing board - everything you need to be comfortable on a business trip. I thought it was particularly thoughtful that they turn the shower nozzle against the wall so you don't inadvertenly drench yourself when you turn on the shower! Internet was fast but a bit temperamental - the system prompts you to log in too often on handheld devices, and sometimes it takes a bit to get the log-in screen to pop up on your computer. ATM is nearby at the gas station just 50m away, McDonald's is down the street, public transportation is right across the street, and a grocery store just 300 meters away. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. 60 or more channels on the TV in multiple languages and a nice radio/speaker in the room if you just want music.
Very quiet rooms, with a nice smoking place in the backyard. Room and toiletries were clean. Close to a Tram station. Around 25 mins from the center. Breakfast buffet was very rich, the breakfast staff were helpful, helped us with our morning coffee :-)
We stayed here several nights because my husband was on a business trip and it was great. We arrive via car and there are two lots. Underground parking costs 10 euro a night and the open lot in front of the hotel is free. There are limited spaces and fill up at night. I also saw a lady park and then grab her groceries and head to the apartment complex next door (her car didn't move for 2 days). It is not a great location for downtown Frankfurt travel but the 18 tram is right outside and brings you very close to the city center. We used it a few times and it is pretty easy to navigate. Traffic in Frankfurt is pretty bad so I suggest using public transport. The check in was very quick and easy. The room and bathroom were quite large. Thee is a mini-bar in room (nothing complementary). There are some great toiletries in the bathroom and the shower was large (for European standards). I was even able to take a comfy bubble bath. There were bathrobes and slippers in the room also. The beds and pillows were the most comfy I've slept on in a hotel. The room was very quiet even though we slept with the window open. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful spread with lots of choices and the waitstaff were fairly receptive. Local dinning options are limited in this area. There is a great Italian restaurant about 300m away and the restaurant right across the street (very limited seating). There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel that always were busy. I had the misfortune of coming down with food poisoning after eating there on our last night though. Despite that, it was still a good stay at a great spot.
Good hotel, convenient for Consulate visits, clean, good breakfast. Clean bathroom, restaurant inside, different other restaurants around. Check in: ok. Parking cost $ 10 per day. We were 1 hour late after check out time and Hotel did not charge us- that was kind!
Stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful when I had questions concerning bus/tram/train routes. Free breakfast was a plus as well. No complaints.
Stayed here for 5 days for business meetings. The hotel is comfortable but the food was outstanding. Many people in wheelchairs attended the conferences but the meeting rooms were not accessible and people had to use a speacial lift that continuously broke down so they had to be lifted down the stairs which was not great. Internet was terrible and it kept disconnecting which was frustrating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had to pay a deposit for the mini bar which was unusual.
Stayed here whilst on a road trip with my boyfriend around Europe. The staff were all very lovely and helpful during our stay. The room itself was nice, and the breakfast buffet was delicious! There is a tram station very close so easy access to the main city. Managed to get a parking space, we must've arrived at a quiet time. Not a bad word to say about our stay!
Worn off mattress makes you roll to one side. Generally clean. Bathroom fixtures need some work done. They lock the minibar and expect a fee to issue a key which is hilarious. I can see why but it sends a message of mistrust. It is convenient if you have business at the US Consulate. Also a short ride with public transportation to the city center. The front desk staff is accommodating and professional. A typical business traveler place.
The room was spotless and the bed was a delight to sleep on. The rooms have literally everything you need and most of the staff are polite and helpful. The only minor glitch is that room service and the restaurant closes by 12 so you'd need to have euros in coins available to use the vending machines if you need a drink, late at night and don't have access to your minibar.
Been there for 3 nights during the Automechanika Fair. Clean, good food, polite and helpful staff, great location, very well connected. Fresh towels on daily basis, good working free wi-fi, nice parking, pleasant front and back garden.
If you have appointment at the US Consulate, look no further as this is the perfect accommodation! Here's why: It's only 10 mins away from the Consulate. Bus & tram access is less than 5 mins walking distance Free wifi (it was of decent speed) Free breakfast (Great and delicious spread) Consistent and good pressure on hot water Big and spacious room and bathroom Clean rooms Confortable beds ( Had a great night's sleep) Courteous and helpful staffs Coffee/tea making facilities Safe facilities in room
The room was very clean, with newly appointed furnishings, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and also pretty up-to-date with quite new fixtures. Overall, a great place to stay, with very friendly staff. (Note: If you park in the parking lot it's free, but if you park in the garage underneath there is a fee).
I was in Frankfurt for business for this stay. Rooms are very nice and well - kept and there is air conditioning, which I am told is not in available in all German hotels as the weather does not get that hot. I kept my windows opened, so did not even use the air conditioning, but it is there for those who need it. The location is more residential so there are not as many options for dining or shopping, but the large commercial downtown is only a short train ride away. The daily breakfast buffet far exceeds what you would normally get in the US, but that is generally the case in Europe. The staff at the front desk and in the dining are were excellent.
This hotel has a great location and the breakfast is very tasty with lots of choice. However the wifi was VERY POOR and for this reason I would not stay here again - which is a shame as everything else was good.
I traveled to Frankfurt recently for business and I stayed at the Best Western IB Hotel Friedburger Warte, it's a nice hotel but very modest, staff are friendly except for one guy that I forgot his name on the front desk, he was a bit rude with me ! my room was nice, clean, I didn't try their breakfast as I was fasting but I did try one of their room service meals, it was good not very yammy but good! the hotel is not in down town but it's next to the tram/bus station where you can pick tram No 18 or bus No 33 to go to Zeil down town for 2.80 euro. there's a big supermarket just cross the street so if you need to purchase some goodies you're in the right place ! anyway I would recommend it but don't expect a luxurious hotel, just a modest clean one :) ah by the way, I booked a taxi for my last day to take me to the airport at 4:00 AM and when I checked out at 4:00 AM the front desk guy said there's not reservation for me !!!! I'm assuming the rude guy forgot to put my name on the list O-o! luckily the other guy called a taxi and I got it in 5 minutes (the Egyptian guy was very friendly and helpful)
pros : perfect location , suitable room size contains most of the necessary needs , public transportation just 5 min walk , several super markets around the area , a very helpful staff and a very good breakfast . Cons : No English channels , the WIFI is below average
Love this hotel , a good breakfast and free parking . Perfect location if you have early appointment at the US consulate . 500 meter away. very nice bar , front deck very helpful . Very good breakfast in the morning , lot of choices.
Lovely clean and bright hotel. Close to tram which was 15 minutes from the city centre. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was great. Hotel was very clean. Beds comfy. Toiletries supplied. Room lovely with air conditioning or you can open the window. Very enjoyable stay.
Wifi was HORRIBLE, absolutely horrible. The bed was comfortable, but the rooms were very hot, as the hotel-wide heater was cranked up when it wasn't that cold outside. Breakfast was really delicious -- good selection and fresh food. Bar was good and had a nice selection of items and snacks. The bathtub was a hazard -- elevated and high-sided, I'm young and still afraid I was going to slip. Don't get me started on the terrible gym - one bike, one treadmill, and one multi-weight machine, with no water accessible.
This review only accounts for the Hotel's breakfast! The breakfast was delicious and the service was very professional and kind. Everything went smooth with our reservation. We got served good coffee (even though it was filtered) and the juice was freshly squeezed! There was a wide variation of warm and cold food, the bread was delicious as well as the fresh fruits (at least 6 different kinds). Also à la carte orders were included in the breakfast so we got pancakes (french) with chocolate, which were excellent (taste and presentation). We also really liked the professional, attentive and nice service. Breakfast was around 15€ per person, which is average in Frankfurt. The Hotel itself looked really nice from the outside and inside. It is located in Frankfurt's north, but there is a bus and tram stop right in front (12 min to the city centre "Konstabler Wache") with buses / trams leaving every 5 min. If you around and want some good breakfast, this is a good place.
My wife and I were there back in August. We landed at the local Airport and drove there. We were exhausted from Jet lag and hunger. I drove an parked in front of the door and parked my there. I went inside and registered. Vladimir was the hotel clerk. I got a room for two nights. He saw how tired we were. He took our bags upstairs, and refused a tip. What a great guy. We slept for a couple of hours and then called room service. Pina brought it up and it was great. My wife had prime rib and mashed potatoes, and I had a club hamburger. It was a cheeseburger with a fried egg. It was delicious. Then we got some beer from the mini-fridge. The next morning we got up early and went to breakfast downstairs. It was a breakfast bar, included with the price of the room. Ken was the morning clerk, and he was great. He mapquested Sellrod for us. This is my wife's ancestral hometown. We found the place and stayed a while We drove back to our hotel room, and went down to the fine restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was pricey, but top of the line. My wife had ribeye again with a great salad and dessert (Apfelkuchen). We partook of the Apfelwein (The Hessian drink) with dinner. After dinner we had coffee, and played gin rummy (after we moved outside to the covered patio. Please do yourself a favor. Great staff. Great food. Great drinks. Great drinks.
I've been to the hotel for three weeks back in August 2014. We arrived on 3rd of August and we allocated our rooms. I've been there with some other fellow students from my university, since we were participating in an intensive programe that held in Frankfurt university. Once we allocated the rooms, we requested access to the WiFi but the staff informed us that we are cannot use the WiFi connection without paying a daily or weekly fee. To be honest, prior to our arrival we have been informed from our tutors that the hotel will have WiFi and we can work from our room. Instead, the staff mentioned that we cannot use the WiFi. On the other hand, i have to say that the staff was very friendly and willing to help us. We were always asking for some new places to visit in Frankfurt and the staff was really friendly and helped us to find some new places to eat, drink and have fun with our friends. In addition, the breakfast was GREAT. You can find everything you may need on the buffet every morning or even ask the waiters for something different. Finally, the rooms were really good and we enjoyed our visit in the hotel. I would consider another visit to the hotel (even if i don't know the price for the room, since our university paid for the rooms).
So i had stayed in this hotel from 29 of Jan till 02 of feb. First of all this is not a four star hotel nor in how the room is fit or the personal behaviour. The big problem is that when i have made the check in they ask me for a deposit of 850 euro. BE SERIOS what are their problem. After a short discussion with the reception they get a deposit of 580 euro. I have to tell that the room was a prepaid so there is no reason to charge a deposit with this amount. In the room you will found the refrigerator closed and you are kindly asked to go to reception make a deposit of 20 euro and after that you will received a key. They did not charge me with 20 euro but they did not refill the refrigerator during my stay. When i checked my account i found that they did blocked the amount but they cash the amount. I have a short discussion on the phone with a lady from reception and they keep told me that it is a blocked amount even that i have told them that it is not like this. Also they can not tell me when the amount will be unblocked if it is so. I will not go there be sure of that
Seriously, what on Earth gave these people the idea to call this a four star hotel? This was the smallest room I've ever had in a four star hotel, and the first time I've seen a four star hotel with a shower only. It's right next to a busy main road, and the windows aren't adequately soundproofed. The furniture was chipped, the TV image distorted, the bed lightweight and not fixed to the floor so when you sat up leaning against the headboard, it would slide forward. The shower was a disaster, as the shower head could not be fixed and kept tilting down pointing straight at the back wall making it difficult to get any water on yourself. The breakfast buffet was mediocre, at best. Parking. The booking website promised free parking. When I arrived, I was told that this applied to the outside parking lot only. However, the outside parking lot only had about 20 spaces, all of which were taken. There was no parking to be had on the street either, so the only remaining option was the hotel's parking garage - for which you were charged. Oh, last curious thing: the elevator. Despite being reasonably new (after all the sign said it was built this century), it only had a single call button, no UP or DOWN options.
Something was wrong with hotel 's Internet. In most (but per the desk employees, not all) of the rims. Each day they told us it should be fixed by day's end; each day it was not. One clerk told me, "our tech doesn't know what the problem is, so he is trying different fixes each day". Ummm, no. It's 2015, get a different tech. Or at a minimum, inform your guests upon check-in - and give them a discount. I had to wander out to coffee shops, none real close, to use internet. Ridiculous for this price/class of hotel in 2015.
Very warm welcoming, our room was very clean, we found the bed very comfortable for our backs. The room is maintained very very well, the same goes with all other parts the hotel, such as stairways and elevators. Breakfast is very reach, fresh fruits and veggies to choose from, hot dishes available as well; in addition there's an indoor pub, and another place to have a nice dinner. The hotel is located as far as 10 to 15 minutes of driving from the city center. We found it worthwhile. The only negative point is the poor WIFI signal, it's ok to surf while exiting to the corridor, but a different issue if you want use Skype.... We will return to this hotel!
It does not look as good on photos as it actually is! I was pretty impressed. Breakfast is amazing: they got a plenty of choice for drinks and food, and all delicious. The restaurant downstairs (Fresh Line) is a super cosy place with good food and an amazing manager ( Walt) who will make your day no matter how bad you feel! Special thanks for making our stay memorable. The hotel offers everything you need, and they even have ironing board and an iron in the room which is a big PLUS! Most of the hotels I have ever stayed do require to call front desk for ironing facilities. The rooms are basic, but again, offer everything you may need. A plenty of room for one person at least, despite the stereotype that European hotel rooms are tiny. This one is a great place to be especially if you have business with the US Consulate ( right across the street). There is a big supermarket, pharmacy, and a gas station within walking distance from the hotel, so when everything is closed on Sunday, you get to go to the gas station and get stuff. i would definitely go back to stay there again.
I was staying in this hotel for a business trip and stayed for four nights. It was such a good neighborhood. This hotel is access able by train, bus or taxi. Free WiFi service in the rooms, nice bed and extra large TV. You will find guide maps at the hotel counter. Morning walk is enjoyable and after that you can find a nice free breakfast with a lot of fruits. You can get all the services of a three star hotel here. Talking about location, there are many parks and sites to visit nearby.
My wife and I reserved a double room for one night due to our early immigrant visa interview the next morning. Hotel accomodations were good, great location for access to the US Consulate. Only complaint was the breakfast, lots of variety and options, however, breads and some of the breakfast meats i.e., salami and fruits were not so fresh. Appeared to be leftovers from day before. Eggs, bacon, sausages, juices and coffee were fresh and really good.
It is obvious that this hotel has little management oversight or quality control. It is understaffed and poorly run. There is no effort to do more than the absolute minimum, from the quality of the linens to the condition of the hotel. In short, it's a dump.
From the minute we checked in this location has been wonderful! Great front desk service, wait staff, buffet breakfast and room accommodations. We choose to stay on the 4th Floor Quite Floor and was perfect. The beds and pillows were comfortable and our view was very nice. The hotel bar in the evening was a great place to unwind and the bar staff took excellent care of us. Great location, located by bus and rail and taxis are available to get you into the villages.
It has everything a busy business traveler would need- clean, comfortable bed and sheets; close easy, access to transportation; tasty food; restaurant; small gym. Everything is pretty basic but it's reasonably priced and in a great location.the staff was helpful.
Hotel according to BW standards: clean, good breakfast, silent area, free parking, nearby ALDI, tram to city center. What else could you ask? Friendly staff, English speaking. Easy airport reach by own car or taxi.
I am not allergic to mold, so I could handle mold growing in the shower (room 203) for a week. Though it is a non-smoking room, the smoke wafts in from the courtyard below where people stand outside to smoke and housekeeping likes to open the windows to 'air the place' out and let the smoke in; cranking up the A/C (saving grace! yes! they are air conditioned!) helped. The room service food was un-eatable. The soups are good, but unless you want the company of fruit flies sharing your meal, it's best to eat downstairs or down the street; the restaurant food was very good. The worst of the entire experience, however, is the level of noise in that hotel. I never had a full night's sleep. The glass doors at the hallway exit to the stairs slam loudly and the room doors also slam, though not as loudly as those metal doors at the stairs. We happened to have a maniac staying at our hotel with angry laughter seeming roaming the halls and smoking outside. Earplugs blocked his noise, but the slamming doors woke me all night. The positives: Service is remarkably good. The staff is friendly and accommodating - they can probably make more money working a nicer hotel because the service they provided far outshone the accommodations.
This is a mediocre hotel for the price. It needs an update. Showers have no shower curtains and are very slippery when water goes all over the floor. They advertise free wi-fi, but it only works very spottily and rarely in the evenings. Elevators are slow. The location is good if you are visiting the nearby U.S. Consulate, but otherwise not a very convenient place to stay. The restaurant is very good though, better than you would expect from such a hotel.
I stayed here from late March to late June 2015 while I was in Frankfurt for work. I had a great stay. I got to know the staff well and they were always helpful (and happy to speak English). In fact they made the stay. Over this amount of time I watched them interact with hundreds of guests and they were both professional and welcoming. Wifi was not always good but I also wasn't paying an extra 25.00 euro a night as I did at one of the more expensive chains where I started my trip. The breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit and healthy options. My favorite treat for dinner was the cheeseburger and fries which was better than most hamburgers at home in the U.S. On many nights after work I would ride the bus into downtown Frankfurt to walk around and sight see - a short easy trip - about 15 minutes - and also walkable. The TV was nothing to write home about (unless you know German- but there were 3 English news channels) but I found out that this has to do less with this hotel than the way the German companies offer their packages (of about 5 hotels I stayed at in Germany none offered much more than news channels in English). I had a standard room and the bed was comfortable. Within a five minute walk were several restaurants and grocery stores and drug stores. Definitely would return to this hotel.
