« Great hotel near the falls »

Enjoyed our two nights here. The hotel is pretty large and has loads of facilities. ATM in the lobby was handy. Loved the massage chairs! Breakfast was great, rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool and bar were great too.

    « Great Place »

It's a great hotel. They have care with the environment, the rooms are cleaned. In the lobby(big) they have an academy, a place for children play too. The location is very good being less than 200 meters from the bus terminal. Breakfast served from 4:00 am (usually the hotels serve from 6:00), but the only complaint is that it should have more varieties of fruit in the breakfast.

    « Amazing experience »

Really enjoyed visiting beautiful Igazu and staying at this lovely hotel. One of the best buffets I've been to in South America (been traveling and good simple yet tasty food isn't the easiest to find). The staff speak good English and have been so helpful. In particular Rodrigo who did so much to make my stay as easy and pleasant as possible. Definitely recommend.

    « A visit to the area. »

The hotel is well situated, close to two excellent chirascurrias, go either left or right. Our room was well serviced and cleaned daily by Susie. Breakfast is very early to mid morning, with a good range of food. Great view over the city from the restaurant. English is spoken at the Reception desk and the local travel advisor and arranger is knowledgeable. Close to the city bus station which will get you to the falls and bird park; about 30mins depending on the traffic. There is also a local market opposite the bus station selling locally produced goods on Saturdays. Taxis are readily available from outside the hotel or just around the corner.

    « Fantastic »

I stayed in this hotel for 6 days. I got a nice room at a really bargain price. The hotel was a bit away from the buisiness and cultural center but very close to the city bus terminal. This was very convenient for me because I was able to go to any destination by bus with timely assistance by the bus terminal staffs and the adjacent tourist office.

    « Perfectly average. »

Neither here nor there. Nothing particularly awful or amazing about the hotel. Breakfast had some nice hot options. Requested a double room and got two singles. Hotel room keys kept stuffing up and we had to have them coded again. There is a delicious Brazilian buffet restaurant within 100 mts to the left when exiting the hotel.

« Don't be fooled by Best Western - this hotel is very good! »

Funky, modern rooms with a great bathroom. Easy check-in; friendly staff. Very well-priced. Great kids/games room just off reception area. Breakfast room is huge on top level in second building with large selection. Down the street to the right is a fantastic restaurant with all-you-can-eat buffet.

    « Wow »

We were here to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary. The room they planned us in was amazing! Very luxurious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was available from 4 am, divers and tasteful. We had a great stay.

« Great and affordable hotel »

We spent only one night at the Taroba hotel but were pleased by our room: clean, great shower and comfortable bed. Hotel very well located (one block away from bus terminal with buses going to Iguazu falls or straight to the Argentinian side). Staff very helpful and multilingual (thanks Rodrigo for the advice on the restaurant, it was very good). Definitely recommended.

    « OK Stay »

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. It is in a convenient location close to restaurants. No problems with the staff, some of them spoke English. There is also a tour company in the hotel, next to the lobby, which adds to the convenience of booking your tours to the falls if you decide to be with a group. Our room and bathroom are a bit on the small side, and the hair dryer kept dying on us after using it for a few minutes. I love their breakfast selection and huge breakfast dining area which can accommodate many guests. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is located in a different tower than our room, so we had to go down the elevator to the lobby then catch the other tower's elevator up to the dining area.

« Good location and a fair price »

Very short stay but great location near bus terminal but a good walk to bars and restaurants. Friendly staff and some spoke English, a novelty for Brazil (outside of rio). Our recommendation is get a superior room in the 2nd tower.

    « Great Location »

My first impression of the hotel was how clean everything was. Thank you to our maid Andrea for ensuring everything was tidy and clean. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance or a short cab ride away from most things in Igaucu. The rooms were a great size and the towel animals were a cute touch. A great place to rest after exploring the falls all days.

    « Good downtown accommodation »

No need to be concerned about this Best Western being close to the bus terminal as it is safe to walk around. Just beyond the terminal there is also a large supermarket with virtually anything you need. Two doors down, the Katharina House can organize tours at a good rate, and provide beer and pizza. Back to the hotel itself, there is not much space around the double bed but there is one cupboard with a safe and there is a fridge and a kettle, but no mugs, tea or coffee to use with the kettle. The TV does have CNN in case you are missing news. The bathroom has a large shower but no bath. Breakfast is probably a highlight with a lot of choice, although I found the 'green juice' insipid.

    « Great Location! »

Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, just a half a block from the local and international bus terminal. Convenient to local bus trips to the falls--NO TOUR NEEDED!! Just down the street from the week-end food and craft market, we were serenaded by a local salsa band! Buffet breakfast that was second to none! And then some! This one is a winner!!

    « Excellent!!!!! »

Excellent hotel! Very well located, besides de bus station, supermarket only 3 blocks away, excellent staff, specially Carlos and the other recepcionists!!! All of them were super friendly and helpful!!! Breakfast was very pleasant!! We loved the room, the services... it was excellent!! ??

« Nice hotel for low cost budget »

I would recommend it for people that doesn't want to spend too much in hotel, is nice, and has good facilities and it is in downtown Iguassu. Food is terrible, is the worst room service I've ever eaten. I would never recommend to eat in the hotel.

« Great choice in Foz »

I really liked everything about this hotel. Location was very good, next to the zoo and with a supermarket three blocks away. They offer a very good and comprehensive breakfast, have a travel agency inside the hotel where you can arrange trips to the falls or ciudad del Este and the service is very good. Cleaning was excellent in the room, Rocio was amazing. Highly recommendable!

    « Fast & Nice - Thank you Morgana! »

Fast feedback was crucial for my experience, because Priceline gave me trouble with my reservation. Morgana fixed everything just in time for my trip or I would not have had my hotel room. Hotel location is very convenient close to the bus station to the waterfalls, and also to Puerto Iguazu on the Argentinian side. I highly recommend going both.

    « Perfection »

They serve a full breakfast and are within walking distance of the zoo. Even more convenient we were able to book a pick up from the hotel. Our driver was fantastic waiting for us at the airport right when we arrived. She was so friendly and full of great advice that we booked approval tours to the falls with her as our guide. Ask for Lurdes Visniesk! ? The hotel has all the accommodations you could need (gym, computers, pool). Also restaurants are on the same block!

« Amazing value and friendly service in Foz do Iguacu »

This was our final hotel stay in a three week journey around the Brazilian South East and South. It was the most inexpensive hotel we stayed at. It left a very good impression. Reception, room service and chambermaid were all extremely helpful and friendly - not just because they are Brazilian, but because this hotel seems to punch above its price-band in terms of professionalism. If there is one thing most needed in a hotel in a place like Iguacu it is good, reliable info regarding transport and other needs relating to the national park on the doorstep - this is why visitors come here. Desk staff spoke adequate to excellent English and all seemed to go the extra mile with helpful and unbiased information and tips. If there are any weaknesses, they would be: 1) Our room was paid for as "superior". It was clean and tidy but fairly basic - I would have taken it as standard. 2) The shower had good flow but was never very warm. Given that the interior of Parana state can get pretty cool in winter, a warmer shower would be nice. 3) Breakfast is the weakest point - lacklustre for a Brazilian hotel, though still more than adequate. English translations of cake names utterly hilarious! However, overall, the best value for a really clean place I have found in Foz - I have stayed there four times now. If we ever return, I think we will be back here.

    « dont stay in tower 1 »

This property has two towers 1 (old) and 2 (new). If you stay here definitely asked for 2 as we were really not happy with tower 1. It felt more like and old dorm room. It smelt and felt damp and was definitely tired and dark. Obviously any of the online pics are taken with a wide angled lens to give the idea the room Is larger. I was actually glad this was for one night as I would have moved hotels as there was loud banging most of the afternoon and then in the evening the other guests noise showed how thin the walls were. I am sure if your staying to do tours of the falls you can find another hotel in a slightly better area, I would. The breakfast held on the 7th floor in tower 2 was pretty good though!

« Excellent facilities and great breakfast »

We stayed for two nights when visiting the famous falls and found the hotel to provide all the necessary facilities. The room was on the smaller side but everything was clean and modern. We did notice there was a drainage problem with our shower spilling into the floor but housekeeping cleaned this up. There was a travel agency, gift shop, ATM, gym, games area and pool to add to the complex. A larger outdoor pool would be great but we were within the town boundaries. Breakfast was buffet and lots of variety. Good overall hotel.

« highly recommend, comfortable stay, good value for price »

Room is big and comfortable. Coffe and tea with electronic kettle are provided in the room. I think that the hotel is recently renovated, so very clean. Breakfast is excellent. Hotel is located very close to bus terminal, at one block off, just few minutes walking distance. We could easily take a bus going to brazilian Iguasu park. And next to bus terminal, we could also take a bus to Argentina. Nearby there is a big supermarket where we could prepare something to drink and eat for visiting Iguacu Park. Good value for price. We stayed at a cheap price, since it's winter season.

    « Nice and affordable »

Booked hotel for one night very nice, clean and very good breakfast. Check in was very easy. Staff very friendly. The kids love the heated pool, small but cozy. The only thing I didn't like was that our room was on the same floor of the pool and other guess were very loud while walking to the pool at 7am. Overall very satisfied with service.

    « Just OK »

We choose Best Western because of the quality we enjoyed at home but this one was just OK. Rooms are very small with just enough space to manoeuvre around the bed. Room card indicated that front desk had electric plug adapters but they point to the convenience store to buy one. Rooms are clean, thanks to hard working cleaning staff. Plenty of local restaurants within walking distance. Vendor at front door sells rain coat and water bottles for about half price or less. Breakfast buffet is good but located at 2nd tower so you have to go down through the lobby and then up another elevator to 7th floor.

« Great value and location »

This hotel was a good location if you want to be in Foz do Iguacu, because it was close to restaurants, a grocery store, and the bus station. We had a typical chain hotel room that was reasonably comfortable, clean, and quiet. WiFi was variable and could be slow. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food and was quite crowded. It was nice to have a mini-fridge in the room and a clothesline in the shower. We booked online for about US $50.

    « Best location »

Hotel is located just 3 blocks away from the main bus terminal. very comfortable stay. Could take a direct bus to the falls. Around half hour ride and very cheap in comparison with the taxis which charge a bomb. The terminal gives plenty of info on the routes and the falls. Even the hotel reception desk is very helpful. Rooms were large and comfortable. B fast spread was decent. Could not get too many options being vegetarians. A bakery right next to the hotel served rice and we could mix it up with some paste we had taken along. around 4 blocks away from the hotel is a wonderful hyper market where we could buy water cans, do some good shopping and pick up cookies, chocolates etc... at very good rates.

« Best western, a great base to explore the falls »

My friend and I stayed here 2 nights and were pleased with the hotel. The staff were knowledgeable and approachable giving great tourist advice. There is also an onsite tour agency to arrange tours. The rooms were clean and comfortable. A good selection of foods for breakfast. Good facilities. Laundry completed promptly. Extremely reasonably priced and very good value for money.

« Great base for exploring the falls »

Stayed here for three nights while exploring Iguacu Falls. I honestly can't find anything to complain about. Free wifi with a strong connection, free use of computers and printers and the breakfast was phenomenal. So much choice and variety and it was all delicious! Everything was very clean and my room was more than adequate. Really lovely stay!

« Few days at the falls after working in Sao Paulo »

The pool was closed during our stay but we were able to use the one of a nearby hotel. The rooms were average. The location was good for the town and very close to the small zoo and a very good steak house. Breakfast on the top floor gave a good view of the town, which is located a fair distance from the falls.

    « Short stay »

Stayed here two nights for an excursion to iguazu falls. Comfy bed and a decent shower. Buffet breakfast was included and had a large range of options to choose from. The foyer area had a tour desk with with options to book a number of tours from here, however we had already booked our tour and didn't use this facility. The room was perfect for us. It's very close to major bars and restaurants.

« Close to All Public Transport & Nice Pool »

Considering I had a single room, it was good enough and tastefully decorated. The linen was as good as any 5-star hotel. The lobby is a bit chaotic, due to the number of groups that stay at the hotel, but it's pleasant and has lots of sitting area. I happened to deal with a lady called Karen who helped me with the room and put me in the right direction getting my car transfer. The local bus station is 2 minutes away, so it's easy to go visit the Paraguayan city of Ciudad del Este - for cheap shopping - or getting buses to Argentina or the Iguazu Falls, should you choose to. The outdoor pool is a bit small, but beautiful and a great touch, considering the heat.

    « Very good 3 stars »

This hotel have a friendly crew and all is tidy and clean. Rooms are spacious and everything works fine. It is not luxurius but is confortable. Excellent choice for people willing to have a good balance between price vs service. Special thanks to Graciela, Irmaci and Eliane for all their attention.

« Very good all round »

Our check-in was smooth with good baggage store and security. Our room was excellent - our maid, Roco, did a great job for cleanliness and presentation (we should have taken lessons from her in folding towels to make an elephant). The breakfast has a wide variety of foods and the coffee was surprisingly excellent. We booked trips to both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides of the Falls at the in-house tourism centre - this was very efficient and our driver/guide, Daniel, was helpful, timely and spoke good English. His advice on exlporing the Falls was spot on in terms of routes and timing. Highly recomended.

    « Nice one »

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and can't complain about anything. Great room, friendly staff, convenient location, reasonably priced, lovely pool and terrace upstairs. Although breakfast could have more vegetables to chose from but buffet is open from 4am!!!! Would highly recommend!!

    « Good location, comfortable »

Pros - walking distance to buses that take you to iguazu falls, good breakfast, great service. Our room was flooded before our arrival so they organised another room at a luxury hotel and free taxi transfer between the hotels Cons - very small rooms, poorly ventilated bathrooms

« Great service combined with essential comforts for a holiday in Foz Do Iguacu »

This hotel, located conveniently in the heart of Foz Do Iguacu, is ideal for a short stopover. It is very comfortably located with respect to all the attractions of the area. In addition, the hotel has an in house agency (Combo Iguasu) which helps with all of one's local touring needs. What is exceptional about this small and good value for money hotel is the quality of service - be it the assistance at the reception, or the housekeeping. I would like to give special mention to our room maid Meydyane, and all the staff at the reception desk during our stay.

    « Excellent people »

I was surprised in seeing such a professionality and kindness of workers inside it. I have to thank expecially Guilherme (the turist agency driver, hoping him to become a guide one day) and Milton of the reception for his committment in finding my lost telephone. These two people have raised notably my evaluation, It is good to find someone glad to help and alwais with a smile on his face.

    « Great value »

This place is a mid range tourist hotel and is deservedly popular as it offers a wide range of services and amenities at a great price. Room was comfortable and spotless, breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied and staff were really helpful. Compared to other places I've stayed in South America recently this was well managed and a bargain. Highly recommend

« Handy for Foz bus station, but basic rooms »

I stayed here overnight while visiting the waterfalls at Iguacu. The Best Western hopefully providing some guarantee of quality. I was slightly disappointed with the room quality although it looks as if the hotel may have different quality rooms depending on the part of the hotel you stay in. It was very basic, but it was cheap and gave me the overnight sleep I wanted. What I can't fault is the breakfast service which started very early (4 am I think) and provided a great choice of foods to fill up for a day at the park ahead! Also worth mentioning that the hotel is very close to the bus station and for a few rand you can get to the Brazilian side of the park and back. Even speaking English it was easy to get to buy a ticket from staff there.

« Really a nice and inexpensive one »

Love this hotel when I step in?nice staffs?good enviorement and clean rooms?Close to the bus terminal? The best part is they make towels into lovely animals?which is really sweet and cute?Really feel at home when we check in? and beside every lovely towel there is a note?positive saying on it?will help if you have a bad day??

« Enjoyable stay in 3 star hotel »

We were on the 2nd floor in Tower two, and the room was well furnished, clean and comfortable, no complaints at all. Breakfast is served on the 7th floor, and was well organised, good service, and no delays. There is a swimming pool on the 5th floor, fairly public, and probably more for the kids staying in the hotel. Good wifi and a business lounge.

« very well located in Foz - nice staff - great rooms in newer part of the hotel »

We stayed 3 nights in the Taroba hotel. In the newer part which has nice and quiet rooms. Air conditioning systems in those rooms is also not noisy at all. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is absolutely great as it is a two minutes walk to the bus station with local buses to the falls (Brazilian and Argentinian sides) and to Paraguay. The breakfast at the hotel has numerous items but all rather tasteless. From our point of view an area in need of improvement. For lunch or dinner the Churrascaria da Gaucho is literally adjacent to the hotel and you get more than decent food at extremely fair price ($10 for all you can eat - drinks on top). Waiters and staff are fun there. Great atmosphere.

« Unlucky to be in Tower 1 insist on a room in Tower 2! »

We were booked in for 2 nights by Tucan Travel. Our room was in tower 1, very run down, air conditioning not working properly, and then I saw these large ants running over the fridge. Later the ants had moved into the bathroom and were all over the toilet . I accidentally killed a couple, they were still on the floor next evening after the room had been cleaned. In addition there now was a strong chemical smell, had the room been sprayed with insecticide? I think so because there still were some ants in the bathroom but they were moving very slowly. I didn't feel well that night and couldn't face any breakfast on the 2nd morning. The hotel has a Tower 2 which is very modern and comfortable. I saw into 1 of these rooms on my way to the pool, they looked stunning, a completely different hotel! Guess what though, we were travelling with a 2nd Tucan Travel group and all them were booked into Tower 2. I was very surprised as both groups were on the same type, level of tour and I could think of no reason why they should have these beautiful rooms and not our group. However this was typical of the way we had been treated all during our South American tour. I had been looking forward to the breakfast as this was a best western hotel and my previous experiences at a best Western were good. Not this time though, it was very basic, not much to enjoy. If you must stay at this hotel, insist on a room in Tower 2.

« Basic hotel in need of some investment »

Felt the hotel was rather old and tired. Furnishings were old. Noisy AC units. Only one socket in the room for charging anything. Breakfast was simple with little variety. Looked better online than in real life. Feel a 2+ rating is more suited than a 3 star.

    « Great hotel! »

During the carnival I trave to Foz do Iguacu for the third time and again stayed at Hotel Taroba. This hotel has very polite employees, great breakfast with a lot of tasteful options and its location is very good. There is a supermarket very close to it, a taxi service right in front, a company inside the hotel the offers payed shuttles to visit all the most famous sightseeings of the city and also other locations, such as Paraguay and Argentina. About the room it was very clean and organized when we got there, and our room maid Cristina made sure the would be like that until the day we left. Kudos for her who did everything so perfect and also for the nice animals she can make with towels (it could sound a bit strange but you'll understand if you go to this hotel :)). Not sure if I will go back to Foz any time soon, but if I will, I already know what hotel I will stay at again.

    « Taroba hotel »

location is excellent. supermarket near by, public bus stop near by. good price. good breakfeast. The night clerks(girls) at the front desk can speak English a little bit. You can arrange your tour at the front lobby no problem at all.

    « Value for money »

Nice hotel in nice location. Very clean. Good breakfast. Small outdoor pool. Computers with free access. Bed was really comfortable with memory foam pillows. Staff were helpful. I can't complain about anything. Can't believe how cheap it was.

    « Depressing »

The hotel is clean, the window in our room was blacked out which made it kind of dark and depressing! Staff couldn't help us out with a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine or an adaptor for the plug which was a bit disappointing. Breakfast is served in what seems to be some old conference room in a random part of the hotel and there is absolutely nothing going on in Foz do Iguassu so I wouldn't spend more than a day there to see the beautiful falls and get out.

« Convenient location and modern hotel »

Great staff - very helpful. Excellent location close to the supermarket and town centre. Tourist office in the lobby is very handy for booking tours to the falls. Good breakfast, Modern hotel. We had a private double room with en suite. Would stay again.

« Solid hotel for the right price »

I spent a couple nights at the hotel after choosing it based on reviews and price. I got it for R$100 / night online, which is a much better price than the R$522 walk in price for a single room. The room was basic, which is fine because my goal was a clean place to sleep, not a fancy room to spend my time in. After reading reviews about how loud the window air conditioner is, I think part of the issue people experienced is that their windows were not closed all the way, so they could hear everyone else air conditioners also. Mine wasn't silent, but it was much better than trying to sleep with all that humidity in the room. The game room is a good place to hang out, especially for families with kids. The workout area is sufficient, or if you prefer there is a large academia (gym) around the corner - I didn't investigate the price to join for the day. To get to the hotel from the airport, you jump on the bus (line 120) for R$3.20 and take it all the way till it stops at TTU bus station. Exit the bus, go to your right to exit the bus station and then take a right and walk about a half block to the intersection. Cross the street straight ahead (gym is in this corner) and then take a right, go one block - walking past the Poker Pub, and take a left (Brazilian Steakhouse on the corner is decent for R$29.50 (R$32.50 on the weekend), but there is better) and the hotel is on your left a half block up. As for location, it is close to the bus line, but really any hotel on along the Bus 120 route is a good location. There is a supermarket 3 blocks from the hotel: exit the hotel, go to your right, go one block past the bus station and you'll see it. Food is very inexpensive. They also have a buffet for R$26.50 / KG, much better on the weekends than during the week. I had no issues with WiFi in my room like some of the other guests' reviews, but had difficulty speaking with the front desk staff in English - which is to be expected since I am traveling in a foreign country. Others said they had a great experience, maybe it was just who was on staff when I stopped by the desk.

« Good location and perfect staff »

This is a great hotel with everything you can need while here. They have a decent breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, albeit not fancy/super new, a pool, and are 3 blocks away from the bus terminal and huge supermarket. But it's really the staff that makes this place amazing, especially Gleika who had immense patience helping me out and spoke wonderful English (something you'll come to cherish around here). Would definitely recommend staying here.

    « Nice hotel »

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Taroba in December 2015. The hotel was adequate for our needs but the front desk staff was exceptional. We worked with Gleika and Alberto both who spoke English perfectly and who were so helpful with restaurant suggestions, made sure our tour pickups were on time, arranged for taxis and directed us to the closest grocery store. Their service would make us want to return to this property again. Our room was simple and somewhat small but it was clean and the A/C worked well although it was a bit noisy (but not terrible) as it was a room unit. The bed was comfortable but there was very little storage space so we had to live out of our bags rather than unpack. Our room had a digital safe, flat screen tv, small refrigerator and the entire hotel was non-smoking. The free internet worked well. There was no self-service laundry but you could send items out for a fee. The hotel had no ice so we had to buy bags at the grocery store each day. Our view wasn't much as it faced the next tower. Breakfast was included in our room rate, it was surprisingly just ok. Having heard that breakfast in South America is the important meal of the day, we had expected somewhat more. Most of the foods offered were carbs (breads, cakes, cereal etc) with a limited amount of cheese and meats although there were eggs each day. I had researched many hotels in the area and have a feeling this one was one of the better options. Overall this was a nice place to stay but the service really makes it stand out.

    « Good Hotel »

We stayed here around Dec 25, 2015. for 2 days This is a good hotel with good rooms. We specifically enjoyed the game room, as we had several children. When we stayed at the hotel, a lot of the restaurants close to the hotel were closed due to Christmas. Therefore, we had to go far to restaurants that were open. The breakfast was good and in a large room. The pool is very small and therefore, do not expect much.

« Great hotel while visiting the falls »

The Hotel was a good place to stay while visiting the Falls. We stayed 3 nights and had a lovely stay. The room were a bit small but it was clean and the cost was within our budget. We have to say the front desk agent Gleika was wonderful and it seem that she was always on duty. Her English was amazing, and she was very helpful in finding some good restaurants nearby and cheerfully answered other questions we had about the area. Glieka should be highly recommended. She definitely made our visit more enjoyable with her can-do attitude and pleasant disposition.

« Perfect place to stay in Foz do Iguaçú »

I had a pleasant stay at Best Western Tarobá, the service was perfect particularly Luana and Rosimery that were always very kind and helpful. The hotel is well located and you can reach all important landmarks within walking distant or through a short bus ride.

« Great location, average in other aspects »

Good part first: good location, clean, stuff are all very friendly and smiling, large and comfortable bed, decent breakfast buffet, there is very good grill place next door serving excellent buffet. Not so good part: our room is much smaller than expected, had like 40cm or 50cm between the desk and the bed for one to squeeze through. Hairdryer was faulty so an electrician had to be called to replace the wall mounted hairdryer. Bad part (for me): the air con was old and SO noisy, a realistic description will be like hearing a lawn mower running outside your window. If you are a light sleeper like me then I'd day stay somewhere else.

« Insane value and nice hotel »

I do not know how I found this hotel on such a great deal. I booked this hotel for $32 a night. It was clean and the room was very nice. You also got a full breakfast. The location was good and parking was free. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The pool was very small but adequate. The water was a little dirty when we visited.

« Excellent value, excellent location »

A very good 3* hotel, clean and tidy, with modest sized room, but perfectly acceptable. A central location within a stones throw of the 'bus station for The Falls, the Itaipu Dam and some reasonable shopping places. No frills; great value for money.

« Location and breakfast buffet »

The hotel's close proximity to the bus station is great if you are planning to take public transportation to the falls and from the airport. There is shopping within 2 blocks and open market shops about 4 blocks away. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of foods. From fresh fruits, cold cereals, turkey, ham, cheese slices, several breads, cakes, eggs, pancakes or waffles, and a hot meat, surely, everyone can find something to eat. The rooms were what you would expect for a Best Western in Europe or South America in this price range. The rooms were clean and towels were folded like you get on a cruise trip, that was a pleasant surprise. The internet in the room was not very reliable; however the internet in the public spaces was great. They also have several computers that are available at no charge and printing is free too. We didn't use the pool or the game room for the kids.

« Keen staff, all services and good location »

Initially the English was an issue with the counter staff for me, but then a more fluent person arrived, and it was easy. The rooms are good, friendly staff, interesting location and next door to the BBQ grill place that's quite superb.

    « best hotel we've stayed at »

we've been in Brazil for 5 weeks now and have stayed at a variery of hotels. The best western was by far the nicest. great clean rooms, nice breakfast with loads of variety, pool table'nothing negative to say, if we ever came back this would be our first choice.

    « Not what expected »

First of all I would like to clarify that my review is on the Tower 1 part of the hotel (old part). The room was very small, here was no space where to open my luggage. Additionally the Windows are so thin (and only 50% covered by glass, the rest is just aluminum panel) that is like you have them open the whole night. Not to mention the rumors from the corridor... Breakfast was good (and fabulously already available from 4am!) but in the tower 2 on the top floor. The furniture are a lot 80'-90' style. The staff was always nice and friendly.

« Inexpensive but adequate nothing fancy »

Good central downtown location. Reasonably close to airport, about 30 mins and 45 mins to the falls. Rooms are small. Lots of noise coming from adjacent residential buildings were we stayed in the mornings. Good breakfast it is definitely worth it. No coffee maker in the room. There is a tour desk with English speaking ladies. Nearby Churrascaria and Pizza places.

« Outstanding Value and Service! »

Modern, clean newly renovated rooms with extra touches like animal towels from Graciela and Cecilia made me smile as I walked into my room each day. Lots of space for putting clothes away or storing items. Refrigerator in room. BREAKFAST was fantastic! I looked forward to it each day. Bus transportation to the airport and the falls is nearby. Crossing the border to Argentina was reasonably close, but not hassle free. Helpful front desk staff , especially Alex. A very service oriented hotel. They go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. Even the cleaning staff offered to help with my baggage. Nice area for late check out guests. Great WiFi and spacious business center.

    « worth the stay »

Excellent value for money, good location, great staff even when the power went out for 20 minutes. Restaurants close by, safe parking. Not much of a view out of our room but hey, made for sleeping not gazing.

« Perfectly nice hotel but small rooms and pool shut »

Perfectly adequate hotel for the money, we had two triple rooms for myself and five friends. Rooms were very small but clean and well equipped. Breakfast was ok, lots of choice. Location is great, 2 minutes walk from the bus station to get to the falls. Everything was ok, but nothing special. I was also surprised when I checked out to be asked to pay 10% service charge in addition to the bill, I have never been asked to do this at a hotel, and wouldn't expect to tip a hotel especially when our experience was so average. However, it was made clear that this was optional and there were no problems when I declined to pay.

    « Nice hotel »

This was a nice hotel at a good price. The highlight of our visit was that the housekeeper, Maydyana, actually made our towels into different animals - a dog one night, an elephant the next, a Christmas tree also. Very cute. Made us feel at home.

    « Great hotel »

This hotel offered service with a smile from all staff, especially Alberto and Glika, who also spoke great English. The room was very comfortable, clean and we had plenty of space for all our luggage. Beds were wonderful. There are lots of things to do at the hotel which we unfortunately did not get to enjoy because we were always too tired from our tourist excursions. Great location to restaurants and shopping. The breakfast offerings were vast and no one should ever leave their hungry. The small touches like folding the towels creatively and the quote box at the restaurant were very welcome. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

    « Comfortable, good location »

We really enjoyed our stay in Foz and found the hotel to b comfortable and clean. Nice helpful staff who arranged a taxi excursion for us to visit Argentina for the evening. Met a wonderful group of people who we've kept in touch with. We didn't use many amenities of the hotel. Breakfast was good quality and lots of options. Thank you - we would definitely return if we come back to Foz.

    « service with a smile »

The staff were very helpful at all times, especially those on check in and Alberto. The room was adequate for what we needed and we appreciated the attention to detail, particularly the towel "dog" wearing my glasses on our second night. Breakfast was tasty and we had a great view across the city.

« Small but safe and comfortable »

The room itself was very small, just a single bed and hardly enough room to spread open my big suitcase anywhere, but I managed as I wasn't spending any time in the room other than to shower and sleep. Room was clean and the price was still good for what you're getting. Surprisingly high tech hotel, with sensor lights everywhere to save power, and indeed your hotel access card is used in your room to turn power on as well. Breakfast was included, starting from 4am I believe, well organized large facility that handles lots of guests efficiently, decent selection of hot and cold food items along with juices, tea and coffee, pastries, etc .. Good concierge service in the lobby to help you organize your stay in the area, transport to airport, etc. Overall good value for the money. PS - only "complaint" or more of an observation I guess, they were setting up Christmas trees in the lobby already, in Mid October!!

« Sehr schoenes Hotel - 3 Sterne absolut gerechtfertigt »

reception und service top, rooms (not too) small and very clean, // you can play poolbilliard, table-tennis and use the business-center for free // special thanks to ALBERTO from the check-in/out - he is very friendly and helps in any situations with a smile

« Very nice and comfortable staying »

Very good breakfast and service. Excellent position, very close to the bus terminal to reach either the airport and the main attractions of the region. A special thanks to Alberto because of his kind support and indications. Very recommended hotel!

« Good location but room not clean »

Hotel is well located few mins walk from Bus main station (to the falls and airport). I made reservation 2-3 month before arriving. I arrived to hotel after midnight and had a quick checking. Reception area is very nice. Room was fine but LOT of hair all around (mostly in toilet and shower (i mean lots!). I told reception the next morning and they said that they make sure it will be clean until im back from falls but all hair were still there! Hotel key to room NEVER open the room at first attempt (9-10 times until worked!) and every day i had to go down to reception to get the key card fixed! Safe in the room is a good bonus. WIFI worked well in all hotel areas. Breakfast was under average but OK. As a vegetarian i didn't have any hot option (scramble eggs are in the same pot with meat!). the first morning i tried to tell the waitress which don't understand English but the next morning i asked again for Veterinarian omelette directly from kitchen and got it :-) All kinds of cakes were too dry for me, coffee is bad.Good fruits but Fruit juice are mixed with too much water so it was tasteless for me. The hotel has inside touring desk which can ,make reservation to all attractions and airport. I found it expensive (bus station is 5 mins away) but i do recommend to use them for the trip to the Argentinian side of the falls as driver take the passport in border while you sit in Van. its worth it.

    « I had an amazing stay »

I stayed in the new tower. I've been allocated a room that was definitely larger and much more beautiful than the one I thought I would stay in. The staff was very helpful and polite and you can have a good laugh with them. Hot water was on at all times, the AC working at all times. Don't be a grumpy tourist, go there with a smile on your face and that will do wonders. Trust me ! You'll stay in a great place which offers great value for money.

« Very patchy, must be better options in Foz »

Booked a Superior Twin room but were shown to a Standard room in Tower 1 which was very shabby indeed and small (furniture all chipped, marked and old, bed covers stained, tiny and very basic bathroom...). It seems that eBookers hadn't requested the Superior room we had booked but despite us being able to show the Receptionist the booking, his attitude was very negative and we were very much made to feel like it was our fault. Eventually (no idea why it took so long) we were given a Superior room in Tower 2 which, although still not large (even after we had the irritating 3rd single bed removed that took up all the free space in the room) or luxurious, was acceptable, if quite noisy (poor soundproofing especially from chairs being dragged across the breakfast room floor, so don't expect to lie in!). Disappointingly the advertised swimming pool was a building site and when I enquired about this, I was not told that the pool next door was available for guests to use as I now note from the Manager's comment in a review below. Tea and coffee is not complimentary as per the hotel literature although when I argued the point I was given coins by reception to use the vending machine (I only did it once, however, as the coffee was sickly sweet, as is the Brazilian wont!). I spent 4 days of our 8 night stay working at the hotel and used used the Business Centre for the first day but for some brilliantly impractical reason best known to the hotel designer, it is located in the same, large (echoey) room as the TV and childrens' play area, so when there wasn't actually football on TV, I had to put up with squealing toddlers kicking balls around whilst their inane mother's made loud cooing noises for literally hours on end! Fortunately the hotel wifi was very good so I was able to work from our room the rest of the time. On the plus side, the location is pretty good, in town with a bus stop across the road and the terminus less than 5 minutes' walk away and with some good eating options near by. Both nearby churrascarias were good. 'Churrascaria Barracoa' is slightly more upmarket but the meat is as good if not better flavour-wise in 'Churrascaria do Gaucho', so much better value at nearly a third the price! A caipirinha nightcap at Katarina's bar just a couple of doors down became a most agreeable habit too! Service in the hotel was patchy to say the least but most of the staff were friendly and helpful, notably Gleira on Reception who was fantastic (she even fixed my hearing aid at one point!), Sandra in the breakfast room who's daily greeting and smile did as good a job of helping me come to as the coffee, and our room cleaner Angelica who attentively cleaned our room (and made animals out of towels!) and went out of her way to suit my schedule on the days when I was working all day in the room. It is really only because of these few exceptional staff members that the hotel gets 3 stars from me. Breakfast was good with a variety of fruit, cakes/pastries and hot food but tables were not cleared away quickly so you often have to take a dirty table or sit at the back of the room far away from the food. Would consider staying here again but would definitely look for other options first.

    « Stay Away »

Hotel did not provide the room that I had reserved. I had reserved a room for three, and instead was given a room for two occupancy with only a king bed. Hotel room did not have hot water, Cold showers! Noticed a few roaches on the day of checkout.

    « Definitely a surprise! »

I've stayed at other Best Western hotels in other countries in South America, and this one has taken the cake. For the price of $61 USD for the night, you cannot beat this hotel. First of all, our purpose in visiting Foz Do Iguaçu was to visit the waterfalls, of course. When we went to ask for a tour, they graciously guided to a public transportation bus depot one block away (their tour had already left for the day), and at R$2.90 per person on the bus, the value couldn't be beaten. We saved possibly R$130 by taking the bus rather than taking a cab. The bus was not seedy nor dangerous, ride confidently. It took us 40 min to reach the waterfalls. Ride the same bus back to the hotel. That same bus passes by the airport; we will be riding the bus again to the airport, so that will be another R$50 saved. Had we known, we would have the bus from the airport to the hotel! So, I'm giving you this information so you can save some money. Bus Line 120, to get to the hotel from the airport take the one that is bound for "Centro" or "Downtown", the stop is the last stop in a big bus depot. Onto the hotel... For the money spent, this hotel should've been lesser quality; it is not. You can expect to find a hotel that can easily charge you $150 USD a night. The bathroom was clean, our king-sized bed comfortable, and the design of the room was very clean and white. They offer a free breakfast buffet and free wifi. Can't beat it. Book it, you won't be disappointed. On the corner, to the right of the hotel when exiting, you will find a very reasonably priced Churrasqueria (Brazilian roasted meats and buffet); we ate there and it was very good.

« Convenient hotel in Foz »

We booked a trip to Foz Do Iguazu and stayed here. We found it to be clean and tidy and our room was adequate for the three of us. We found reception staff to be really helpful. We tried to organise a tour to the Argentinian side of the falls but we were told there wasn't one going that day so reception ordered us a car and driver Alex who drove us there via the border crossing and picked us up later on, this actually worked out the same price as tour would of been as there were three of us. Breakfast was good.

« Convenient location and good value, loved the breakfast »

Overall it was a good stay for good value. The hotel is 1/2 block away from the main bus terminal in the town. From the bus terminal, you can take a bus to the Brazil airport, Brazil Falls and Argentina. Also, amazing breakfast is included in the price of the room. The only bad experience I had was the check in process. I checked in at 1am and the check in staff at night does not speak much English. I booked 1 king bed and 1 twin bed room through tripadvisor, instead I got a room with 2 single beds. In addition, the toilet flushing was broken when I checked in, but someone came and fixed the problem within 10 minutes. Pool is under renovation when I stayed.
