    « Excellent »

My stay was great, the staff are friendly. The view from my room was incredible. I will be sure to recommend this hotel to my friends and family. If I should return to Fort Myers in the future this is the hotel for me.

    « great view. »

really enjoyed my stay. the view is amazing! i spent most of my time on the balcony soaking up the view. the ihop breakfast was a joke but it was free ... but what do you expect. def will be staying here again when back in fort myers.

« Great service, beautiful view »

We arrived late and had a jammed door at the room, could not get in. Night security came and stayed with us until we were given another room. Restful night; spectacular view of large river in the morning. Pleasant walk in nearby riverfront park after breakfast. Enjoyed seeing waterbirds scramble for their breakfast also. Very satisfied overall.

« Great view for the money »

When we booked our reservation, we were not familiar with the area. When we checked in, I was pleasantly surprised that the room had a private balcony with a beautiful view overlooking the water. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. I was also pleasantly surprised that instead of the usual crappy breakfast in the lobby, they gave us vouchers to use at the adjacent IHOP. All in all a very good experience that was better than I expected. I will definitely stay here again, the next time I am in the area.

    « peaceful nights »

two night stay was great---don't ask for waterfront room--almost all are waterfront---no need to pay extra--there is a restaurant on the premises 3 Fishermen Seafood Grill & Bar---very good also a IHOP restaurant which you have a complimentary voucher for breakfast with your stay at Best Western

    « Average hotel w/Great Views! »

East Tower rooms all face on to the river--a lovely view. Rooms are very clean, staff is courteous, and everything is well worth the price. Ample parking. Breakfast is at the iHop across the parking lot, but there are in-room coffee pots (no tea.) Internet is free.

« The rooms in this hotel are very dirty and very poor service »

Do not stay here. The bedding in my room was dirty. The carpet was dirty and not vacuumed. The bathroom floor was not cleaned - I could see dirt marks on it. The room smelled moldy and musty. The service was terrible. I was told I should talk to the housekeeping manager in the morning.

    2
    « What a disappointment »

Based on previous reviews I stayed here. I found the staff to be extremely unhelpful and the property had an overall unclean dated appearance. Though the location is ideal I would never stay here again. I never had a room smell that badly and when asked for assistance it was basically rejected. What a disappointment.

« stay in North Ft Myers »

the hotel and staff was very nice , it was very clean , nice view , comfortable bed , it was a quick stop on a business trip , you get a voucher for breakfast at the IHOP next door , I was seated and given my menu , upon presenting my breakfast voucher I was rudely told that I couldn't order from the regular menu and was handed a menu with 7 item choices on it , portion size was that of a kids menu , Hotel is great , go eat someplace else for breakfast

    5
    « Great view »

The rooms all have balconies overlooking the river, great sunsets !! The hotel has been updated and has proven to be an easy, safe, and clean place in North Ft Myers. We have stayed here multiple times over the past several years.

    « Nice view »

Some of the rooms are remodelt. Some of the rooms are near the fish restaurant. We always took a room with "view". The room is clean and good for a short trip. The vaucher for a Breakfast is a nice gimmick.

    « would stay again »

Room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful, view from balcony was great. Pool was awesome and combine that with two good restaurants on site and I would stay there again. Good bargain.

    4
    « Room with a view »

This hotel fit my criteria at many levels - water view, free breakfast, clean and comfortable. The price was good as well. Rooms are large and we had a nice view. Two restaurants on site. Good location - easy in and out.

    3
    « Poor internet »

    Already talked about inoperable wifi, but treated like second class citizen by IHOP, they contracted breakfast location, definitely will not stay here again, and will be noted in my Trip Advisor rating.;

    « Unfriendly Neighbors »

The AC until went out in my house on a Friday night I could not get the parts needed until Monday I made reservations to stay at the Best Western. When I tried to check in I was informed that I could not check in even though I had reservations I was a resident of the county

« Best Westen water front fort myers »

Great place to stay and would love to stay there on all of my BMX trips. I have a team that travels the United States and by far one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. The property was clean and the customer service was EXCELLENT !!!!!!

« Best Western Waterfront Stay »

The room was adequate size. The bathroom needed cleaning. There was a strange odor in the room. For the money, I would stay somewhere else. The people were great at this facility, but the value just wasn't there for what's available in the market.

    5
« nice Hotel to stay at »

the room was nice , It was nice to get breakfast included at the IHOP restaurant right next to the hotel . The Staff at the restaurant and the Hotel desk was very friendly and helpfull. We would Stay there if ever in the area again.

« A week in Ft Myers Hotel »

very nice place, nice location, grounds and facilities clean, outdoor pool heated and clean, not 'over chlorinated'; only complaint was they skipped cleaning my room 2 times in 7 nights... I had 'do not disturb' sign out till about 10:00 am each day, but that should not have been the excuse.

    « Beautiful Room »

We took a short trip to Fort Myers Waterfront to tour the area attractions. Upon arrival the new front desk employee (don't remember her name, just moved to area from Miami) was very pleasant and helpful with information for our visit. Our room was in the tower and was updated very nicely. It had new carpeting, fresh paint, great bed and bedding, a very large bathroom and a small area with microwave and small refrigerator. We had a balcony that opened with a new table and two comfortable chairs. This Best Western had a beautiful view of the Caloosahatchee river from our room. There is a pool but we didn't have time to use it. Our room rate did include breakfast at the I Hop on grounds. Overall it was a great two night stay.

    5
    « Leisure »

Loved the view in the west tower. Loved the complimentary breakfast. May return in spring for 30th anniversary! Recommend hotel. ?? could live in it just for he relaxing view. Surrounded by everything.

    « Great clean place »

Love the view and the restaurant was very handy. It was nice not having to leave the hotel. The room was clean and specious. We enjoyed walking out on the dock and swimming in the large pool. I would very much recommend this hotel.

    4
    « GREAT HOTEL »

Arrived the night before Hurricane Matthew. We were prepared for whatever we faced. Hotel was super nice and did not break the bank. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. We ate at 3 Fisherman two nights during our stay. A bit pricey but the food is delicious. The view of the sunset on the water was beautiful and I enjoyed sitting out on my own private balcony. We were there for a Perfect Game WWBA Showcase tourney so our time was limited in the room; but was very enjoyable while there. You can't go wrong with this property; small property but worth it.

    « Excellent Value - Amazing Views! »

We traveled to Fort Myers to attend a baseball tournament. We are so happy with our decision to stay here. The rooms are spacious and modern. The views over the river are incredible! There's a restaurant on site with live music and water views, the pool is waterfront and the free breakfast at the IHOP on site. Just a great value for the price we paid. Jessica at the front desk was was very accommodating to all of our needs and is the reason why I took the time to write this review. Thank you, Jessica!

    5
« Awesome Place To Stay »

I travel for work, and this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. Location and amenities are excellent!!! The food at the 3 Fisherman's Restaurant was unbelievably good. I had the Cheese Grits with Shrimp and marinara.

    « Great R & R »

Got late into the Hotel about Mid Night (flight Delay) Stayed 4 Days Thurs-Sunday. Views were excellent and Room Clean. Had Fridge and Micro Wave. I-Hop Breakfast was very good (Daniel waited on my great service weekdays) for a couple bucks and tip upgraded. 3 Fisherman had a couple pops and nice dinner with the family. Amber our waitress did a great job and should be recognized. Stayed in the west Wing 5th Floor

    « My stay »

Great place, kind, thoughtful, clean, pretty, good food available on site. Great view, nice room, large rooms, large bathrooms, clean pool great views. Easy parking, easy access, nice landscaping, easy commute to downtown Ft Myers, Fl.

    3
    « OK not great »

Staff is good. The room was very clean. However, the bed was as hard as a rock. My wife even complained, and she prefers a firm bed. The pool had a chain lock on the gate at 8:00 PM. It is a good location, but the hotel is old but updated.

  • 4
    « Hidden Gem »

Great place to stay, great views large rooms. Ft. Meyers little secret. Do not be fooled by the NO VIEW, I think only four rooms are blocked. I try and stay every time I am in that area. IHOP is always a plus as well

    3
« Great location but Needs better Housekeeping »

we booked a standard room with double beds for my family of four. two adults and two kids. our room had a nice view of the waterfront and garden. the seafood restaurant on-site was great, good service, excellent food and great view. we had lunch while the kids were at the pool next to us. our only compliant was the housekeeping. right after we checked in, I wanted to take a shower and found some hair in the tub that I had to clean myself. also found some hair on the bathroom counter. that same night we went out to visit family and came back late directly to bed. next morning while my kids were playing on the bed we found a very disgusting bug (like a small cockroach) under my pillow. I took the bug to the front desk and the clerk didn't care that much. I asked for a late checkout for the next morning but she didn't authorize it. If we go back to that area we will not stay here.

    4
« Older but very nice »

Some rooms have better views than others but the sunsets are gorgeous back by the pool. The staff is the friendliest ever and you get breakfast at IHOP. They have a special menu he for the hotel but still plenty to pick from. The resteraunt next door was great! Very good food and prices.

    5
    « great weekend »

We went on TA for the reviews first...we agreed with many reviews...the staff was excellent...IHOP is in the same parking lot for your breakfast...you get vouchers. The pool was clean and overlooked the river...we saw dolphins on two occasions, very cool. it is close to downtown fort myers. lots of shopping and great restaurants. it was only 10 minutes. It was very easy to get to the beaches from there also. Rooms are outdated...but really how much time do you really spend a lot of time in it.

    5
    « Excellent hotel! »

Jessica at the front desk was WONDERFUL. She was incredibly accommodating as soon as we arrived helping us check in a little early. Breakfast IS included, they're in conjunction with the ihop in the shared parking lot. There's a menu to select from and items can be added for additional cost. We didn't get a chance to eat at the onsite restaurant, but it looked good and was fairly busy. The pool is great, wonderful view of the river. There's a dock off the back, our friends picked us up and went out boating, super easy if that serves your purpose. The rooms are huge and had Pantene for the hair care which was a nice surprise. Overall, will definitely be rebooking on a return trip to the area.

    4
    « Weekend Getaway »

We planned a last minute weekend trip and had no problems getting a room. We were very happy they accepted pets as we always travel with our dog. She is an English Bulldog and just like our child. The rooms are very clean and the one we had very spacious. The view from balcony of the lake was gorgeous. The facility itself is a little older but has been kept up well. We truly enjoyed our stay and would return if we come back to the area again.

    4
« good place to stay »

This is a very nice hotel. The staff is very helpful. The location is in a good and convenient area. The rooms are a nice size. The bathrooms are excellent. Our room had a walk in shower of a good size. I think all the rooms have a balcony.

    1
    « Bad customer service »

Won't take reservations from locals!! They cancelled my reservation and ruined my plans. Will never recommend to my friends and family visiting. They didn't even offer to help with another of their hotels around the area.... just bad business

    5
« Very nice hotel for the price »

Very large, clean, updated room and bath. Large balcony. Very nice pool with an 8.6 ' deep end, excellent views and convenient to everything! Pet friendly without over charging. Very friendly accommodating staff.

    2
« Not worth the money »

Spiders on ceiling, stains on walls, floor tile in bathroom filthy. Breakfast vouchers at I Hop have a limited menu and the servers there do not want to wait on you because they think that they won't get any gratuity.

« We love staying at this hotel. »

We have stayed at this hotel a few times a year for twenty years. The owners take great care of it. Every time we visit there is something that has been improved. We love the view of the Caloosahatchee River and the well kept swimming pool. The seafood restaurant on the property and the IHop next door add to the convenience of the property. The rooms are large and well furnished with comfortable beds.

    3
    « Crob »

This is probably the hotel with the best views in Ft Myers. There are many rooms right on the water. Although the property is somewhat dated, it is very clean. Havent tried the restaurant and there is no complimentary breakfast. Overall good deal for the money.

    4
« We enjoyed our stay very much »

We have stayed at BW Waterfront Fort Myers several times and always enjoy the view and the 3 Fisherman restaurant (happy hour drink prices and fish tacos...!) The front desk staff are friendly and efficient. On our last couple stays we were happy with the added benefit of the included breakfast at IHOP as we have always eaten there anyway. We look forward to our next stay.

    5
« Mom and me mini vacation »

Everyone was so nice from front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and restaurant's. The view from the balcony was nice as well as the pool! The beds are very nice for a good night sleep. This Best Western is older but in great condition, and very clean.

    5
« Would definitely come back! »

We stayed 2 weekday nights. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our 4th floor room was bigger than expected, very clean with a really nice view. It was quiet with tons of food options close. Nice pool easy parking. Would definitely come back.

    4
    « Relaxing business trip »

I was on a business trip to the area and didn't want to fight the crowds so we opted to stay here. Good choice. The room was clean and comfortable with a good A/C and nice bathroom. It's an older hotel, typical of many BW, but well maintained. Pool looked good though I didn't swim and the private balcony, which you can actually access, was nice with an awesome view overlooking the river to the south. Free Breakfast was provided by the IHOP next door and was good with nice service. Overall a very pleasant stay and good value for price. Reason for 4 stars was 2 small dings. 1- a FEW of some type of very small ant or gnat type insect that we saw in our room, didn't bother us though. 2- room not as quiet ( walls between rooms) as it could be, not a problem on our trip because hotel was not very crowded this time of year, but could be more of an issue with a full house. Best recommendation is that I'll definitely stay here on next trip to the area.

    5
    « Pet friendly! »

I am very excited to have found a place where I can bring my pets with me to stay! They allow up to 80lbs and are very accommodation. Other great perks are the free private pier and Ihop breakfast included!

    4
    « Beautiful View! »

It got a bit noisy at times, but there was a wedding party staying in the hotel. However, the view alone is worth it! The restaurant on the property has good food too. The front desk person, Jessica, was VERY helpful, friendly, and professional.

    5
    « "BEST" Best Western »

Very beautiful hotel, by far one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Great views, staff is excellent. Josh and the maintenance man went above and beyond their duties to make sure my stay was very comfortable!! All I can say is that the hotel was very nice and clean, comfortable beds etc.. But more importantly Josh and the maintenance man bent over backwards for me to ensure a great stay. Didn't want to leave.

    3
    « Hotel Room »

How excited we were to be there for a family reunion. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The bed was infested with fleas. The staff was very efficient in moving us to another room which then had a red ant in the bed that bit up my legs during the night when I slept.I hesitated to report it but then I found it and showed the staff member a picture. Perhaps there were other bugs that came out in the night I don't know. The souvenirs I will take home are the bumps on my legs. The staff was very apologetic with this problem. I was compensated completed for this. We continued to participate in the family gatherings. Best Western needs to follow its own policies. Others might have had a great stay but it is very challenging to sleep comfortably after several days of being bitten by a hidden un-welcomed guest. And no we did not bring any animals with us on this trip.

    « Waterfront - good »

For the price it is a nice hotel to spend a day or two maybe three but that is it, Parking was awful you have to place you vehicle way too far. Elevator helps and convenient but it is slow I mean slow.

    5
    « Excellent hotel!!! »

We stayed here 4 nights and this is our second time staying here. We would definitely stay here again! Very friendly staff, great waterfront view from our room, free breakfast at IHOP next door, tons of cable channels, very clean, in a safe neighborhood, and a nice sized updated room. Great value for our money!

    4
« Best Western on the Water in Fort Meyers »

Great place to stay, beautiful view from our room. Restaurant is good. Breakfast at iHop was awesome. Room was clean, staff was friendly, we were close to the Edison Ford Estate which was a primary destination. Holiday Vacation Places will be happy to recommend!

« Great River view from my tower balcony! »

I agree with many of the positive reviews for this Best Western(BW). The 3 highlights for me: the river view from my 4th floor balcony room, the included breakfast at I-Hop, and the polite Front Desk person (Ms. Voorhis). The Reception Desk is in its own building near the I-Hop and the rooms are in two separate towers with a seafood restaurant sandwiched in-between. There seemed to be only one elevator for 6 floors in my tower (West) -- so there was a bit of a wait at times. My 4th floor room had sliding glass doors to a nice balcony with a sitting area overlooking the pool and a very nice river view. In the room was a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen TV, and desk. The bathroom was unusually large for typical BWs. For breakfast at I-Hop, I presented my BW coupon and was handed a BW menu that included a choice of eggs, hash browns, pancakes, toast, tea, coffee, juice. Having waiter service was nice when compared to a typical BW buffet-style breakfast. Before arriving, I had to call for directions because my GPS would not recognize the North Cleveland Ave address and sent me to South Cleveland Ave instead; however, Ms.Voorhis was able to give me clear directions politely while handling guests checking-in -- she was the only one at the Front Desk for both checking in and checking out times while answering the phone and guests' queries in a remarkably efficient manner -- very notable in these days of declining customer service. I was going to stay at another nearby BW but I'm glad I chose this one with its riverfront location.

    4
« Fine hotel, nice rooms »

The Best Western Fort Meyers at the Waterfront has been one of the best 'Best Western' hotels we have visited over the years. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are king-size and more. Most rooms (floor 3 and above) have a nice view over the water from your own balcony. Breakfast is served at the neighboring IHOP and of a good quality, even without paying extra.

    3
    « July 4th Fireworks are awesome »

We stayed two nights over the 4th of July holiday -as we have in years past. The rooms could stand some renovation but the view of the fireworks over the river cannot be beat!!! They are not over to the locals except on New Years Eve and July 4th which is a shame...

    1
    « Worst stay ever »

We had issues throughout our stay beginning with check in. We initially arrived before 4 and our room was not ready. I can understand that as check in is not until 4, so we went and had a late lunch. We came back around 4:30 and the room was still not ready. The man at the front desk initially told us we would just have to wait. After explaining that was not acceptable to me, he switched our room to one that was ready. The next morning, we had ants in the bathroom and around the refrigerator/microwave area. Maintenance came to spray and while it helped, we still battled ants. That same night, when we returned to the room, the AC was not working and we had to sleep in the room at 80*. Maintenance attempted to fix, but was unable to do so. Day 3 still had the room at a toasty 80*. The front desk was unable/unwilling to switch our room for the duration of our stay. They're only solution was to switch us room to room each day. We made the decision to checkout and go to another hotel. Then the battle was getting out of our reservation without penalty. It was over an hour before that was resolved and we were assured that we would not be penalized for early checkout. The manager also agreed to comp us for the one night with no AC. Even though the issues we faced were resolved, no guest should ever have to experience the problems we faced.

« Great Stay Except for ant and roaches »

Was in Fort Myers for a family reunion. The stay was great, staff fantastic, pool was warm, they even had a deal with the I-Hop next door for free breakfast. The only issue was that the beds were a little hard and the bathroom had a lot of little ants (there was no food in that area), and a few roaches. The rooms should be treated for pests on a regular basis.

    « 4th of July 2016 »

This is a wonderful hotel. It is older and has charm has been renovated beautifully. The staff is very nice and helpful. This place is very clean. They have made several changes and improvements since our last visit. Larger deck/dock to walk out on or to fish from. Including breakfast at Ihop with your room stay.close to everything.quiet and relaxing with great views of the river, downtown Ft Myers.

    5
« returning again for the view too »

Back for another visit, and never disappointed. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. Rooms have a good waterfront view. a small park is right around the corner, and people can be seen on the small beach and fishing pier. There is a good restaurant, of if you prefer - a pancake house is across the parking lot. The property shows that it is well cared for.

« Average hotel with nice view of water »

My wife and I stayed here for one night before we headed to Fort Myers Beach. This is your average hotel with normal accommodations. The rooms all have a balcony that overlook the river, but since it is directly on the water there were little flies and bugs everywhere so you could not enjoy the balcony. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but it is very dated and did not look to clean. Since my room was not ready BW gave me a coupon for free drink which was nice, but I drank my free beer and left the restaurant quickly. One thing that was good with the stay is that the free breakfast with your stay is to the IHOP next door.

    5
    « Great stay! »

Clean, roomy, and a perfect "in-between' hotel. Stayed a couple of nights before flight out and everything was great! IHOP breakfast that's a short walk. 3 Fisherman on site with wonderful staff and a large (and clean) swimming pool.

    5
    « Very Pleasent »

This was the second time here. I love this place for the price. Friendly staff and lovely restaurant. Arrived real late this visit but still room was clean and nice, and updated from visit prior. I was pleasantly surprised.

    5
    « very nice stay »

the room was very clean and warm to be in. I had a problem with the remote twice ,called the front desk, they sent someone within 10 min. The next morning we went to the I Hop for a free breakfast that was also very good. We will be back next year.

    4
« Great Place To Stay »

Wonderful views, comfortable room, average breakfast. We would stay again. Right on river and great price. Dinner at seafood rest. was very good. The breakfast at Ihop was very limited. Would like more choices. Bed was comfortable and micro and fridge were nice amenities.

    5
« Excellent views, Service, and location! »

We stayed at this hotel while vacationing in Fort Myers Area, and the stay was wonderful. The hotel is an older hotel that has undergone extensive renovation. The rates were extremely competitive, and the amenities were awesome! For breakfast, they give you coupons for an Ihop that is on the property. There is also a very nice seafood restaurant on the property as well, we did not eat there, so I cant offer any review on it. If you are in Fort Myers, I highly recommend this hotel!

    3
    « good except for 3rd shift »

nice hotel nestled midst a couple hotels full of crackheads. clean hotel, nice beds. 3rd shift failed to run off local drunks who kept me up and breakfast at Ihop instead of continental was very inconvenient. I had to take my service dog into ihop and listen to locals say negative things about it.

    5
    « Wonderful View »

This hotel has an amazing river view! The hotel is clean and updated. The pool is nice. We will stay again. My only complaint is we could hear the trash pick up very early in the morning. The location is minutes from the mall and a lot of restaurants.

    5
    « Pampering Personified »

This facility is over 40 years old and they have done an excellent job with a, formerly, basic hotel. It is not a five star property, but it is clean, comfortable and has beautiful views. The Caloosahatchee is brackish water at this point so salt water creatures can be spotted here. I sat on the balcony and watched a lone dolphin cavorting as I sipped my coffee one morning. The river runs east to west so you enjoy the benefit of both sunrise and sunset views. The staff is excellent. They are engaging and caring without being obtrusive. All you have to do is ask. They will cheerfully go the distance to make your stay pleasant. You are given vouchers for breakfast at the IHOP next door. The breakfast servers are definitely morning people-upbeat and happy to serve. The Three Fishermen restaurant, attached to the hotel is pricey and the quality is negligible at best. Fried items are over battered and fried dry. The Chart House, opposite the hotel on the other side of the river has comparable prices and far better food. You can't go wrong here.

    « Great view & stay!! »

We stayed at the BW Waterfront over Memorial day weekend for a total of 3 days. The view was great, beds were very comfortable, staff was very friendly and the room was clean. What else can you ask for :). We really enjoyed our stay and the included daily IHOP breakfast for two was a great plus. It was very nice just sitting on the balcony, overlooking the pool and Caloosahatchee River. Highly recommended!

    « Great View (mostly) »

Hotel was easy to find and check in was flawless. We had room 621 in the west tower. The room was large, clean and appeared recently refurbished. The river view was very nice with the exception noted below.Shower was hot and had good flow. Breakfast was next door at IHOP, service was quick and the food (limited menu) was a nice change from the typical waffles. Elevators available. Con: Room 621 is directly above the restaurant and the exhaust fans push the cooking odors up. The wonderful view of the river is seen over the roof and the pigeons that roost here. We will use this hotel again but now know to request a room at the other end of the hotel.

« Great location on the Caloosahatchee River »

This a very nice property! We stayed overnight May 24, 2016. We had a ground floor room in the East Wing which had a beautiful view of the river and pier. We had lunch at the on-site riverfront restaurant and bar. It was very nice and the food and drinks were great. We had dinner about half mile away at Cactus Jacks - highly recommended. But back to the hotel, check in was efficient and our room was ready early. The room was large and clean and the TV had the Best Western signature sanitary remote control. The bath room was clean and tidy. Every room has a patio or balcony so even though smoking isn't allowed in the rooms smokers have easy access to the outdoors. Access is easy off I-75 and parking is plentiful. Every room comes with breakfast at the on-site IHOP (limited menu for guests but better than a serve yourself buffet). Price for all this was very reasonable. I've always been a Best Western fan and this hotel represents the best of the brand!

    « Beautiful view »

What a great hotel. I had a waterfront room that overlooked the river. I could not have asked for a more relaxing place. I was visiting for a business trip so having a nice view to come back to after working all day was awesome! The staff was fantastic and the breakfast was unbelievable.....they give every guest a voucher for IHOP next door. That was brilliant! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling. It's very affordably priced and in a great location.

    « A great experience »

From start to finish a great experience. I was in Cape Coral, Florida to photograph the local Burrowing Owls, and as always I enjoy staying in the Best Westerns for their exceptional service and comfort. I highly recommend this hotel and location while in the Ft. Meyers/ Cape Coral area of Florida.

    « Nice view , solid hotel »

This property has a riverfront location , friendly staff, and good restaurant. The breakfast with the room is at the IHOP across the parking lot. It consists of a choice of abt 6 items. A nice change from In house serve yourself breakfasts that most chains provide. Suggestion, get a room on an upper floor so you can enjoy open curtains and sliders but not sacrifice privacy. The bird watching was excellent while we were there. A pleasant stay overall with a great view

« Great time for all... »

we had a wonderful stay. clean rooms, great service, great poolside restaurant and bar. minutes from downtown Fort Meyers, sunsets were great. You are right in the middle of everything. we highly recomend this hotel.

« Many Times at This Hotel »

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20 years. My children live on the other coast so am usually alone on Mother's Days. It is easy to get to from I-75, and every room has a waterfront view, It has become a yearly tradition for me!

    « cleaning is lacking »

the staff was friendly, the rooms are in need of a spruce up and deep deep cleaning. rust on shower walls and nooks and crannies are full of years of dirt. the room was to be non smoking but the people below were smoking and the smell came up. you can hear neighbors and then a group of 20ish males were hanging about the halls at 1am and drunk and loud

    3
    « Okay »

I'm confused! What free breakfast? My room cost $13 more per person for my limited menu breakfast. Also room 615 is one of the smallest rooms I've ever stayed in. There were ants in the bathroom. The window will was covered in bugs and dust. The tray in the fridge had tomato sauce blobbed in it. No towels at the pool. Did I stay at the same hotel? Not really worth $140 a night. However, the view is awesome!

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

For the money, the overall stay was exceptional. Clean and comfortable. Nice view. Convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Two minor issues we had were taken care of promptly and professionally. Nice pool and restaurant/bar on property. Free breakfast at IHOP next door. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful View from the patio deck, all friendly staff with smiles and very talkative. They take pride in their work. With a great tasting Seafood Restaurant . Also a swimming pool over looking the river. One morning I had the experience of watching the dolphins swim around in the river. Once in a lifetime opportunity to see this!

« Huge rooms with great views »

We spent 2 nights in this hotel in conjunction with selling our house. Huge room with 2 queen beds and lots of space to roam around. The restaurant - Three Fishermen - is fine and the breakfast is a limited menu at I-Hop which is good value. It is also walking distance to other restaurants and to a small beach. In all a very pleasant stay.

    5
« Excellent Views and Value »

The views from the hotel room were magnificent, both day and night. The hotel has an agreement with IHOP which shares a parking lot with the hotel. A short walk and your eating items off a limited menu,(HOTEL PAID) but enough choices to start your day. A regular menu is also available for purchase. On Sunday there were Sailboats doing trials right in front of our windows. It was great just sitting on the deck, tea in hand, and watching the boats and waves. Would return again in the future.

A little mix up at check-in but the staff fixed it pretty quickly. Very accommodating and the view is amazing. We had a first floor room that opened up to the court yard. The staff were very friendly.

Large room with great balcony overlooking river. Good, convenient location. Was not expecting breakfast however, were given coupons for adjacent IHOP. If using GPS use North Fort Myers for town or it may take you to wrong location.

« Forced to find another hotel late at night. »

We live locally and needed a place to stay overnight because of a flood in our condo. We had mold removal and drywall demo going on. We booked Best Western. In the hotel lobby we found out that it has a policy in which they will not rent to locals and we were left to look for another place to stay. It was late at night and we were tired and sleepy as we left the best Western lobby to find another hotel. Plus we had to wait 5 business days for our money back. In the future we will never patronize a best Western hotel

    3
    « Okay Stay »

Pier was unusable. Booked this hotel so we could fish on the property. There is a public pier next to the property but very crowded. Initial room was a joke. East Tower overlooks a roof. Ask for the West Tower. Nice Pool and great view if you get a good room. Front desk was professional and nice but for $900 for 4 nights I would have expected more.

    4
    « A very pleasant location »

Our first trip to Fort Myers, we have stayed at Best Western locations in the past. I reserved an accessible room, and had a first-floor room, right next to the pool and restaurant between the two towers of the hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and all the rooms have balconies overlooking the Caloosahatchie River - very pretty! The only drawback is that because of the proximity to the restaurant, we had to draw the balcony curtains in the evenings. Recommend a lighter-floor room if you want to have the view all day!

    4
« Nice older Best Western »

This is a "Good-Nice" older Best Western that overlooks the inter coastal water way. I have to say that our room was very nice and spacious, however the bathroom looked to be in disrepair. It had mismatched ceiling tile, paint flaking off of ceiling tile grids, and some stains over the shower that appeared to be cigarette burns. Other than the bathroom, this is a place that I would stay at again.

    « Awesome View »

We stayed at this hotel for five nights, although it's an older hotel the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the river view from our balcony was just beautiful. All of the staff that we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. It's a great central location to all of the beaches in the Fort Myers area, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

    « Helpful Staff »

Thought we made a reservation 5 months ago. Unfortunately, never pressed "send" Arrived at the hotel only to be told that tee Cass no reservation in our name. The receptionist (Rochelle) was extremely helpful in finding us a room (with a view) at a price that was not exorbitant. She was even able to give us a room next to our friends who did have a confirmed reservation. There was a great pub with good food overlooking the river and the pool. Very comfortable beds. The only downside is that the bathroom really needed redecorating and the blinds and window in the bathroom needed cleaning. All in all, a very good place for a stopover on our eYes to Sanibel

« Short stay for Spring Training »

Booked this hotel through an agent in UK. It was a few bucks cheaper than hotels closer to the Jet Blue Stadium. It is as the name says on the waterfront, lovely views. Rochelle could not have been more helpful, sorted out a good quality taxi for me from the airport, found a cheaper alternative when my friend and I wanted a cheap cab to a local brewery. Both cabs - Excellent. 3 Fishermen Restaurant was very good indeed, didn't try IHOP but It was sure busy. Room was spotless, OK so the bath taps and fixtures maybe looked a little tired, but it was a good clean room with a very comfortable bed. Air con was noisy... But I've had far worse. Overall a very good stay. Also it proved to be a good place to lose your mobile phone! I managed to mislay mine in their computer room whilst printing off my boarding pass, realising my stupidity 3 hours later I return to find some kind soul had handed it in. Very honest Access to and from is a little tricky for those of us not used to doing U turns off major highways, but otherwise it is very conveniently placed for Jet Blue, (Red Sox) and Sarasota (Orioles) Oh and there's a good craft brewery just down US41 (Old Soul) and whilst the general area looks as if some of the places had seen better days, it's not badly run down and untidy. It's a little way out of town so you need a cab to get to the watering holes. Overall, very good indeed

    « View »

The View from the Balcony was spectacular . Was able to obtain early check in , so I could enjoy the Pool , before heading out to the Red Sox Game at Jet Blue Park . Food at the Lunch Place was good . Free Breakfast at IHOP included . The Pool and the view made the Hotel , otherwise , not the most spectacular fanciest of Hotels . Could use a Jacuzzi by the Pool area and while the lounge chairs were comfortable, could use an outside couch and cabanas

    « Average Hotel »

Needed a place to stay while attending a Spring Training game and wanted to try something different. Location was about 20 minutes from the stadium, which wasn't bad at all. Easy drive to and from game. Hotel has two towers which are both located right on the Caloosahatchee River. I had a king bed room on the 5th floor, both towers have 6 floors. View from the balcony was outstanding and very peaceful. Room itself is nothing special. Bathroom seemed outdated with some rust spots on tub/shower bar. Bed was very comfortable. Nice flat screen TV with DirecTV service with a lot of channels, which was unexpected, but much appreciated. Wifi seemed to work pretty good and parking was easy and close by. Neighborhood did not seem that bad, however I did not explore much nearby hotel. Check in was very quick and the front desk women was extremely friendly and nice. (Sorry, can't remember her name). Free breakfast is included at the IHOP, with a limited menu, which is right next door. There is a seafood restaurant located at the hotel, however I did not find there. Overall pretty good stay, no issues.

    « what a view »

Beautiful view and very nice facility. Older but very nicely updated and maintained. Rooms and baths are spacious and very clean. closets with doors are a nice plus. Very comfortable with a big balcony and gorgeous water view. Pool is big and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. The adjoining seafood restaurant is casual with very good food and the complimentary breakfast at IHOP was quick and sufficient, with a decent selection of good food. We had a great time and there were no problems. Overall a very enjoyable. I come from a long Hospitality industry background at 4 star urban hotels and for what this hotels does, it does it well. Thanks!

« Great place to stay »

This was out fifth visit to this property and we thoroughly enjoy it. It is right on the water...the manatees and porpoises come in each morning and they are so close you can almost touch them. Restaurant a little pricey and not associated with hotel, so no room charging, but food and menu are excellent. Staff outstanding!

    3
« Nice location but overpriced for what it offers »

Pros: right on the water; high quality mattress; good family-style restaurant on the property. Cons: expensive; inadequate sound-proofing of rooms; cheap towels; refrigerator and air conditioning generated noise all night; and breakfast coupon for IHOP next door provided no healthy choices. Last note: access to the hotel from the road is awkward from the south, because of where it is on a two lane highway. When you leave, it's easy to go south but a little tricky to head north.

    « go anywhere else »

We heard a lot of noise from the restaurant below, the exterior hallways were slippery/greasy & dirty. This property is old and needs to be brought up to 2016 standards. All rooms in our building seemed to have the same view, which was the restaurant below. Call us crazy, but we expect a rental property to be as nice as or nicer than our home, or why go for a getaway? This property was not, and we would never stay at this particular property again.

    « Nice Hotel!!! »

Hotel was very nice, clean and friendly. Minutes to I75 and Beaches. Cost was the factor for me. I should have researched the hotels. This was a recommendation. A few miles towards I75 there were cheaper hotels. Free breakfast helped, but still I think 162.00 a night was too much. When I return next March, I know I will. I will check other places first.

    4
« Nice view of the water of Fort Myers »

Although the rooms are located in two block towers, the views of Fort Myers and the water are quite pleasing. The pool looked large and inviting. Our room was typical of a motel, but good quality and clean. The popular restaurant next door is convenient for dinner and the vouchers for breakfast at the adjacent IHOP were a plus.

    5
    « Restful night »

This hotel is located in a lovely location looking at the river. Great place for Rest. The room was very clean and quite large. Even though it had doors directly to the outside, it was very quiet. We would definitely book and room here again if we are ever in the Ft Myers/Cape Coral area.

    « best western..waterfront review »

very nice and affordable...Pool area could use a hot tub The food was pretty good at the restaurant...the I HOP was convenient but the menu selection for the coupons received is probably not worth the room rate increase of 20/night

    2
    « Awful Experience »

The hotel room was not inexpensive. The lobby was not in the building we stayed in. When we checked in to our room, there was a terrible grinding noise. This was at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. We wanted to rest for an hour before we had to get ready for a wedding that we were attending. I called the desk and she said that she would find out what the noise was. She wasn't even aware of what was happening. I had to call back and she said that they were sanding above us and hope to be done by 6:00. There was no rest as the noise was awful. The front desk said that they were sorry but there wasn't anything that could be done. There was no accommodations, room change or refund of any kind offered. I would not recommend staying there and would think twice about staying at a Best Western, given a choice.

« Would not stay here again unless security and insect control improves »

I am in a wheelchair and rented a beach wheelchair and found friends to help me to go shelling in Sanibel. I left some of my best shells on our patio behind a chair and touching our patio door. My shells were stolen. Staff told me that there have been quite a few thefts recently. But there was nothing they could do about it. We also had over 100 sugar/ghost ants in our bed under the strip of fabric at the end of our bed. After complaining I was only refunded $60.00. After a weeks stay I was very disappointed in this "resolution".

    5
« Nice location in Fort Myers »

Stayed in the Fort Myers area for a couple of days/nights, found this location which was in a perfect location for us on the Cape Coral side of the river. Was pleased to get a ground floor room (which I don't usually like) that looked out on the Caloosahatchie. It was surprisingly quiet for a ground floor room. Although we gave up some privacy it was cool to sit out on the patio each evening with a cocktail and watch the river go by.

    « Wedding Group »

We had about 10+ rooms in the hotel and view was amazing by the water. The price was good for it to also include breakfast. The size of the room was also great, didn't feel small and we had people in & out of our rooms but never felt crowded. I personally would stay at this hotel again without a doubt. It was also clean which is very important to us. Elevator is slow but overall no issues with venue.

    « We'll Definitely Return »

Spent 10 days here to get out of winter weather. Not really sure what to expect, but were we pleasantly surprised. Th counter staff was competent, professional, and friendly. Our room was on the fifth floor and, of course, overlooked the Caloosahatchee River. The view was stunning. The room itself was large, clean, and easy to live in. Not once did we feel cramped at all. Plenty of towels in a large bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping attended the room daily, so it was always like we just checked in. Mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, free internet, breakfast included at the adjacent IHOP and great views. We'll be back for 2 weeks in 2017.

Really enjoyed our giant room and the lovely view outside. The room was super clean and really quiet. There are elevators. Breakfast is done next door at the IHOP on a voucher system and was pretty good. We ate at the other on-site restaurant, the 3 fisherman and it was gross. I sent my food back. Anyway, it was a really nice stay and the location is super close to the edison/Ford homes if you are going there.

« Great place to stay- clean and remodeled! »

We stayed here for two on our way to Sanibel. This Best Western was great! Rooms have all been remodeled and the hotel and grounds are well kept. Our room was in East Tower on the 5th floor. Room was clean, large bathroom and great balcony with Southern exposure overlooking the river/bay. Actually could layout and suntan on the balcony as the sun was great! They have a nice pool which was warm and never too crowded. The hotel staff and cleaning/maid service were all very pleasant. In fact, we had to check out early after booking 3 nights and the front desk could not have more accommodating and only charged us for the two nights we stayed. There is a small, but nice fitness center on property too. There is a restaurant on site, "3 Fisherman Seafood", which we did not eat at, and is probably the one thing that I would change at this hotel. The restaurant is located between the two buildings by the pool and has a gorgeous waterfront view/dining. However, the place always smelled "fishy" when we walked by and never saw more than six people eating in there during peak times. We asked another couple who ate there if they liked it and they said it was "so-so" and would not go back. The one day we were by the pool we had a drink at the bar. When we told the waitress we would not be eating, she "snatched" our menus and marched off. I think a good "chain restaurant like TGI Fridays, or a Trader Vics would better serve this place. There is an Ihop right in front to the hotel and we ate there twice. Excellent food and of course the best pancakes in the world. Also, the Best Western gives you free breakfast coupons for each day of your stay-very nice! We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Very clean, and affordable.

    « Couples »

Our overall stay here was just acceptable. Some of the staff were friendly, others were not. The first room we were given on the first floor felt like we were in a box with no view of the water, which is one of the reasons we picked this hotel on Priceline. Good thing our TV was not working so the Maint. guy got the girl to upgrade our room, so now we have a view, but our frig hums all not and does not work. Noise level outside was not good. I don't think we will stay here again, but if we are in the area again we may come to the Fisherman's restaurant on site. That food was excellent and our waiter was nice. I think this is a 2.5* hotel....not 3* as advertised online.

Very good location, all rooms facing the river, 6 floor building with elevator, two towers, free parking, spacious rooms and bathrooms, nice breakfast at iHop, close to downtown Fort Myers whit a lot of bars and restaurants. Close to Edson & Ford estates and Mc Gregor boulevard

« Great Location and View »

I had to book near downtown Fort Myers for work and this was the nicest place within my budget. Staff were courteous and quick with both check in and check out. My room included a large balcony overlooking the river and downtown. The room was clean and contained a microwave and mini-fridge. I used the breakfast ticket at IHOP one morning and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and that I was not treated poorly because I had a "free" meal ticket. I never used the Wifi, pool, or attached restaurant so I cannot comment on them. My only complaint is my own fault. As a lone female traveler I prefer to stay in hotels where the doors open into a central interior hallway for safety reasons. The doors here open outside and anyone can access the elevator. However, I felt mostly safe as the area was nice enough and well lit.

« Great Views & the price is Right »

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. They have had all the rooms made over. Clean & Comfortable. The views form the balconies are very nice. The hotel breakfast (included) is at the Perkins Restaurant next door. The voucher they give you is for a limited but very nice breakfast. There is even a sailboat rental next door. I paid $135 for an upper floor (The views are better there). That is an incredible price for this time of year. (January) I will stay here again & again.

    « Nice stay »

Room was large, clean and comfortable. It was also very convenient to other local business. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a great view of the river and a private balcony to look at it from. The breakfast was at IHOP next door and was included with our room (we had 8 different items to choose from). This was better than any other "hotel" breakfast I have ever had. A very nice stay.

« Right on the Waterfront »

The location alone is five star. Right on the Caloosahatchee river. We had a second story room and had a perfect view of the water. There is a restaurant between the hotel and the river and I can see that some people might have their view blocked by that building. The restaurant is in the middle so ask for rooms at the end - probably the west end. We had a king room and it was a good size. It had two closets - one of which was mostly filled with the minifridge and microwave (which was a good thing - when we closed the closet door you couldn't hear the fridge. There was a desk, a hard back side chair, a dresser with a flat screen tv and two nightstands. The bed and pillows were ok, you certainly don't get the quality there that some of the pricier hotels have. Included in the price is breakfast at the IHOP in the parking lot. This is much better than the breakfast included at some hotels. You order from a limited menu. Food there is OK. We had two problems during our stay. One is the noise. The hotel is next to highway 41 and the road noise was high as we were in a room closest to the road. You also get noise from the restaurant's entertainers, from the parking lot and the normal door slamming and plumbing noises. So bring ear plugs. The larger problem was that our door was hard to open and close. This lead to us returning to our room twice and finding that the maid had not closed the door to where it locked. The second time it was actually ajar. We've traveled a lot and I don't recall this every happening once, let alone on consecutive nights. We had called the desk the first time so we were pretty surprised it happened again. As fantastic as the view was I just am not sure I would return to this hotel. I think the security issue overrides any of the positives that we had.

We spent three nights here while on a visit to Florida and a very good experience. The front desk staff were smiling whenever pproached the desk and were most helpful. It was a dark and stormy night... we got a room just in time to see a storm come in over the river and we sat on the big balcony and storm watched. The room was spacious and super clean with good pillows. The staff were friendly. There is a sea food restaurant and a IHOP which was very convenient. You get a food vouchers for two free breakfasts. I suggest the rooms on the 4th floor or higher especially if you use your balcony due to the food smell and noise from the restaurant is better. There is a outdoor pool and exercise room and a nice small beach and parkette by the river.

I stay at this hotel at least once a month on business. When checking in the last time ,Jackie was great. Sometimes when checking into hotels the front desk always seem to say my room number. Not Jackie , perfect! Thank you Jackie, I look forward to seeing everyone next week.

    « Eh okay »

My cousin and I stayed here for a week in December. The hotel was located in a weird area and not really Fort Myers. It looked kind of scary from the outside. There is breakfast included but it is at the IHOP next door. Not bad but we didn't know that it would be at the restaurant. The view of the room was beautiful because we got to see the pool and the waterfront. The room itself wasn't great either especially the bathroom. We both agreed that we would probably not stay here again.

It wasn't a five star hotel, but it was nice to stay in for a week. :) Definately has a great view of the bridge and city, and if i can remember correctly it's dang close to one of my favorite hometown restaurants...IHop! :)

    « Family Visit »

Great visit to see family. We stayed at the Best Western on the waterfront for 4 nights. Price was excellent and staff at the front desk was friendly. Our only issue was that the room size was tiny. Bathroom huge and bedroom small. Location and view of the water were great too. Located next to many eating establishments. Found a great ice cream shop within walking distance. We revisited frequently (DD'S ).

I Had a 2 night free stay certificate. The room was newly renovated. check in was smooth and I was given 2 coupons for free breakfast at IHOP. Waking up overlooking the pier was beautiful. Will definitely stay again when I come back to Fort Myers. Thank you for the awesome service.

« Not living up to the promises »

We booked a superior river view room which also was supposed to be over-sized. The issue was that we got placed on ground and second floor. I.e it was not even possible to see the river from the first floor. The explanation given was that the superior was not connected to view but to size. We felt slightly fooled and emailed manager as none was onsite. No reply was given and upon check-out the new clerk at desk explained to another guest that the rooms on 5&6th floor was superior view whilst 1st floor was standard. So paid more but got no response from any reaponsible person. In addition the breakfast at Ihop was chaotic. Too many guests, too few seats. You get what you pay for was our conclusion.

    « Before Christmas »

We planned this overnight stay to go around down town Ft Myers and the Hotel was very close to everything. We had the free breakfast at Hi Hop which was pretty good. Everyone was very nice. We had a coupon we needed to use and the clerk at check out was very helpful to be sure we got our discount

« Right on the Pier »

I love the location and the fact that guests are able to advenure into the water activities and visit the pier for fishing. I didnt make it to the bar thats attached but it looks really nice and had lots of people. Checkin was simple, very nice facility and nice people. I like that the breakfast was at Ihop. There is a limited menu but its great to feel as if you went out for breakfast and yet your room is next door. The lobby is detached from the "towers" where the rooms are. Though this is great, I like having a lobby be close to the rooms preferably centrally located. The rooms are pretty nice and have grand views of the water. The hotel is a nice stay.

    « Enjoyed our get-away »

We have stayed at this BW several times. This was a little get-away to visit the Ford & Edison Christmas display and the location is convenient to that. We always eat at the 3 Fishermen restaurant on site and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable. The water views from the rooms and the restaurant are the main reason we return. The only real downside is the traffic noise, but we are aware of it and choose to stay here anyway.

    « Forget this spot »

I am so disappointed in this Best Western. I would not recommend this. Stayed 3 days. Room was nice. Lovely view! The customer service - nil. None. We got 2 key cards and every single time we came back to the room, our keys would not work. Mind you, we each had one. Neither would work. I was so annoyed by the 3rd time & asked, "can you tell us why our cards never work?" Front desk gal states, it's how you store them. When you put them by anything magnetic, such as your cell phone or whatever, it de magnetizes them. Now this was an an old excuse in the years the key card was invented. We travel often. Not only do we know better than to store our card by such a device, this simply does not happen in any other hotel we stay in over the years ... It was not just us! Other guests were expressing to us they had the same issue. Aside from this issue the front desk service was simply "all attitude". I have not experienced this kind of attitude, "I don't care what's going" since I was a 13 year old brat. We experienced 2 couples making complaints only to be told, 'that's the way it is" ... Absolutely NO customer service.

    « Waterfront Stay »

This is a great older Best Western on the waterfront in FT. Myers. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean. I would definitely stay here on my next trip, and would highly recommend to my friends and business associates!

    « Staff »

The staff were very friendly and professional and went out of their way to be of assistance. The room had a wonderful view of the water and we saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets and a dolphin or two! There were several places nearby to eat and breakfast at the adjoining IHOP was great.

« Great river/sunset view from private balcony »

The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the staff is very pleasant, the room we stayed in was clean and large - and the view was fabulous. You also get breakfast vouchers for IHOP and there is a seafood restaurant on site that my seafood loving husband thoroughly enjoyed. An excellent value - and very dog friendly with dog walk area. We will stay here again!

« Need to change their policies! »

You can't stay here if you are a Florida resident!! All the rooms are waterfront with a beautiful view. They are very spacious and have a large patio. Rooms are updated very nicely. I am a former travel agent of 20 years and I have never heard of a hotel restricting local or same state residents!! I am very unhappy about that.

Hotel sits on the river and the view is beautiful. Rooms were spacious, well appointed, clean and the beds comfortable. They had started giving a free breakfast coupon for IHop next door. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

« Convenient, but not luxurious »

One of the best things about this hotel is that the a/c works well, it has a nice view and an IHOP next door, which is very friendly and predictable. For my sister and husband, their stay was 4 weeks so they got a great discount. And they take pets.

    « Door left open »

My door was left open all day by house keeping staff. I was woke up many times by ice machine outside my room. View was nice and the restaurant was good. I said here because it was close to a event that I was at for four days. Next year when I am back for the same event I was stay at a different location.

« Do not book this hotel »

I booked this hotel through Hotwire and was looking forward to my stay. After a VERY long day of travel we arrived around 11:30 pm. I found out that the hotel cancelled my reservation because someone else had come in and offered a higher rate. There were no available rooms within close distance available that night. We managed to find one room in a different hotel. I called Hotwire the next day and visited with an agent. She contacted the hotel and the manager he said that I had called the day before and cancelled--an outright lie. The Hotwire agent was going to put us on a 3 way call to resolve the problem they hung up. Also, as we were waiting in the lobby to see what we could do for a room another couple came in to report $400 stolen from their room. THINK TWICE before booking with this hotel.

    « Excelent location »

Stayed 3 nights in October and enjoyed the location just next to the river. I had a room on 6th floor with a lovely view towards Ft. Myers. Location is fine with a short distance to downtown Ft. Myers and Edison museum. Fine pool area overlooking the river, and several meal options in the area. Check-in is fine, friendly and quick. Only spot is the breakfast deal which I didn't find attractive. Your better of paying the regular price at the restaurant.

« 8 day stay in Fort Myers »

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to our friend's condo. We loved having IHOP and a seafood restaurant on the premises. We loved the grouper at the Three Fisherman and loved Danny at IHOP. We had the best view of the river and the manatee as they came to visit. We will stay again when we come down. You are close to everything, Sanibel beaches, Naples and Marco Island and even visited Sarasota to see family. Loved downtown Fort Myers with the quaint restaurants. Very nice staff at the registration desk. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Liked the coffee maker and mini frig. Great value. The pool was great and we were the only ones there when we visited.

    « STAY AWAY! »

By far the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel. I have been in and out of hotel rooms for the last 5 years for work and have never had anything close to this occur. Stay away from these people. They are liars and thieves. After my stay I noticed an extra $150 charge on my credit card. I called the hotel and spoke with someone at the front desk. She advised me this charge was for smoking in my room but their was no documentation of it and that I would have to speak with someone in management regarding it. For the next three days I called multiple times a day, left several messages for a member of management but never received any type of communication in return. I called the customer service number due to the lack of response. Customer service created a file regarding the situation and sent it to the hotel for them to respond to me within a specified time. Two days later I received a call from the manager (Ashley) at the hotel. She told me that charge was for smoking in the room and that they would keep the charge as is. I informed her that I don't even smoke, how am I being charged for this? Their was also no documentation of it according to the front desk staff and customer service. She stated it was documented in the house keeping files and the other people don't have access to them. Regardless, I don't smoke! After beating around the bush and not coming out and saying it she finally stated that it was for smoking marijuana in the room. Members of staff supposedly witnessed smoke coming out of the room and when they went in the next day for cleaning it smelled like smoke. She also stated that I was lucky that they didn't call the police. At this point I am obviously very angry because this in no way shape or form happened. I said if I was smoking in my room then why didn't the staff say something or come to my room? She said that the staff wasn't supposed to confront people in that situation because it could be dangerous for them. Fair enough! Why didn't you call the cops then? I wish they would have because if they did then none of this would have occurred because I don't smoke...anything! They also could of called the room and said something so there wasn't a physical confrontation. Their was never any mention of me supposedly smoking or being charged for it when I checked out or at any other time. After 10 minutes of arguing about it she said she would split the charge with me and only pay $75. That's great, that's better than $150 but not for something I didn't do especially when they cant provide any documentation or proof besides the staffs word which is apparently more valuable than their customers word. She also offered to compensate for the incident on a future stay. Right...because I will ever come back to this hotel. Now you know... if their are illegal activities going on at their property they wont do anything about it or call the cops. Real safe environment to stay in! However, they will charge you for something you didn't do without saying a word to you about it. Congratulations Best Western! You just lost a customer for life over $150 and a lying staff!

    « What a suprise »

Stayed at the Best Western Waterfront in Ft Myers. Great price, nice balcony, beautiful view, and really nice room. Best deal in Ft. Myers. I will stay there the next time I am in Ft. Myers. I was staying at the Hilton Garden Suites. It was $55 more and had no view, or balcony, and I needed my own pillow. The pillows at the BW were great. It was a surprising experience.

    « Quick get away »

We wanted a quick get away from the terrible New England winter. My husband and I stayed 3 nights. We loved our room and the patio with a lovely view of the river. The furnishings could use updating, but everything was very clean. I would definitely stay again. Staff very attentive and friendly. It is a great location overlooking the river. The restaurant on the property was great! We ate there twice!

    « GREAT VIEWS...GREAT ROOMS! »

A great place to stay. Staff is professional and personable, rooms are clean and comfortable and plenty to do around the area. Restaurants...shopping...all readily available no matter which way you turn from the hotel. Make sure you get the Waterfront view, if possible!

    « Great Service! »

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast at ihop every morning was a great benefit. The seafood restaurant was delicious and so convenient. My son loved being able to fish and be right on the water. This was a great place to stay and will stay there again when we are in Ft. Myers.

    « Best Night's Sleep! »

I spent one night here. I had a wonderful view of the water from my balcony. The room was spectacular! When I arrived it was clean, welcoming and spacious. This is a great location close to everything, and there's an IHOP literally next door. From check-in to check-out the staff was super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Fort Myers area.

    « Tired and Worn »

Very nice and helpful people at the front desk. The view of the water is great, the pool looked inviting. That's the good part. The rooms and rest of the facility are tired, worn and less than one might expect for $99 per night. Plus the entrance is very difficult to navigate unless you've been there before, otherwise you find yourself crossing the bridge to another town and coming back to try again.

    « A Room with a View »

We spent 2 nights at this hotel on our visit to Florida. Good large room and bathrooms. For the most part clean but carpets felt a little sticky in places. The best part about the room were the great views out to the river, the best wake up views of any of the hotels we stayed at :D Nice little gym which we made use of each morning. The swimming pool looked good with towels provided but we didn't actually get time to try it out as we were visiting friends in the area. Lots of restaurants close by including an IHOP immediately next to it and a seafood restaurant next door which we didn't try. Would be happy to stay here again.

    « View at a resonable price »

We had a nice room with a great view of the bay at a quarter of the price of most water front properties. The hotel was still being upgraded on the outside but the rooms were nice and the view was great.

    « Snooty Rat Hole »

Stay away! Unless you want to get out of your shower and have the bathroom floors instantly turn to mud, that's after sleeping in a funky smelling room( who knows what was on the rest of the floors) then paying for your breakfast next door because there is no breakfast area here. Then dealing with a snooty front desk person who everytime we mentioned something her response was well you had a view of the pool and river. Who cares about watching grandparents with grandchildren in the pool. Or anyone for that matter. 0

    « Fort Meyers reuni9on »

Hotel views and rooms very good for the money. Staff was also very good and helpful. Value for the money was also very good. We stayed 5 nights. The only thing we did not like was the condition of the elevator area outside the rooms in the east tower where there were bird droppings and other droppings. The inside of the elevator was also dirty and the elevators were very slow.
