Best Western University Inn

We were visiting Fort Collins to check out some breweries, restaurants and the comedy club. This location was close enough that we could walk to a few of our destinations. Prices were fair, and for the most part the bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The only issue was that every time the heat came on, it was pretty loud; I woke up a few times during the night.

right across from CSU, not far from old town. easy walk to center for performing arts and campus. comfortable medium soft beds. the furtherest back section of rooms is quiet. parking was easy. they charge $7/night if you are not an elite member of BW

I was shocked to see a $7 nightly parking fee on my bill after checking out. The app does not display the fee at booking but instead it is hidden deep several clicks into hotel features. At minimum it needs to be under hotel policies and should be pointed out on the reservation page as well.

The staff was very helpful and informative. The location was perfect for visiting my son at CSU. T he room was clean and everything worked as expected. The facility was well maintained and has modern conveniences such as card key locks and good WiFi, but it is ready for a remodel.

Very Clean quiet place in a nice area! I was happy that I was able to leave my car fully loaded of valuables with no issues like broken windows and theft! My room was clean and comfortable and I was able to get a great nights sleep! The staff was very friendly and helpful- the breakfast menu was probably the most impressive I have seen from any hotel I have visited- Thank you Best Western Fort Collins for a wonderful stay!

This hotel's facilities are pretty average for a hotel of its kind, but they had outstanding customer service and the location is absolutely ideal for being close to Colorado State University for any events there. It is also within walking distance of so many restaurants downtown (to the north).

Keep driving don't stop. It will only get worse. Sleep in your car if you have too it's that bad! They charge seven dollars for parking! Their pet fee is twenty five dollars,there is no pet area they give you a map to drive to. Drive to another state first. This is a true and accurate review….Jim

Given that most BWs in the US are older, motel-type properties, and this property fell into that category, my stay was OK. The good - friendly staff, clean/comfortable room, and a decent variety at breakfast. And the price was right in that I was only in the room for 6 or so hours each day. The bad - my room was on the end - on Elizabeth Street. If street noise is an issue for you, you may need to ask for a room further from the streets. I'd certainly return if I'm in the area again.

Stopped in for directions after taking the airport shuttle. Very clean and comfortable lobby and wonderfully friendly staff. I watched how the woman behind the desk went the extra mile to help two European tourists with their credit card issues after she helped me find the restaurant I was to meet my friends at. Will definitely stay here next time I come through.

Where do I start? I guess I'll start with parking. $7 day, yes they charge you $7 a day just for parking. First time in 50 years I've paid for parking at a motel. I made the reservation on BW app. When checking out, it was almost twice as much! The didn't give me credit for BW points! We had a room with 2 queen beds. The rooms were designed for double beds so as you can imagine the rooms are quite small for the price you pay. Bugs in our room, towels at about 300 grit. They left us 1 bar of soap for two sinks and a tub shower. The occasional chair in the room was filthy. Under the chair had not been vacuumed for a while. Low speed internet, 9.6 at the best. Laundry was $2.50 a load to wash and $2.50 to dry, too expensive. Only two handicap parking spots and limited ADA rooms. Also the butt container for smokers in right next to the door that says “No Smoking”, it stunk! Now the good stuff. Nick in the breakfast room is a top notch employee! Very helpful and pleasant. Also its in the pretty part of town. Lots of trees and nice sidewalks for a stroll. Did I say Nick was helpful and very pleasant!

My family and I stayed for DCI Band event at CSU. Check-in was a very pleasant experience. The front desk gave recommendations of places to visit and eat in the area. The room was clean and met our needs. The entire complex does show some age. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again when visiting Fort Collins!

Had a great stay, wonderful staff, and delicious full breakfast. Local gourmet coffee available all day. Comfortable rooms and super convenient to CSU. Very close to downtown action and restaurants. Nick is a real gem and takes pride in keeping hotel spiffy and guests well-accomodated.

If your laptop is not American, you might need to get help from the staff to connect to the internet, and if you smoke and it's raining, be prepared to not have a single decent sheltered spot to have a cig. Other than that, the hotel is quite decent and well managed. I did stay there during an event at CSU and the prices were quite high.

This is a very sweet hotel! The room was very clean and prepared with everything we needed. Breakfast had all the usual offerings and the scrambled eggs were delicious. Nick the breakfast attendant was awesome and made our breakfast experience delightful! The hotel is across the street from the University and downtown is very nearby.

I stayed at the BW University during move out from CSU. Our room was very clean. The front desk staff member, Annabelle, was fantastic. It was nice to have a breakfast served. The breakfast staff member, Nick, was so nice and conversational. It made me feel very welcomed.

We were celebrating a birthday milestone and wanted a special evening at our favorite restaurant, Cafe Vino. We wanted a place nearby, so it would be an easy walk to and from. University Best Western is conveniently located across from CSU Campus, an easy walk downtown and a couple of blocks from Cafe Vino. We had an interior (courtyard) room with a view of the parking lot. The room (305, and is a ground room) was average king bed room, very clean, decor is pleasant. The bathroom: sonk area small, wet area large, working ceiling fan, towels were small and sandpaper texture, no grab bar for stepping out tub/shower. During our visit, front desk was vacant during check-in period a good 10 minutes with a line waiting to check-in. Sunday morning breakfast was probably ok for most, but if you prefer eggs think dried egg cordless that taste as bad as they looked. The cost was $277. The room, amenities and service in my opinion do not rate the cost. The pricing is above local competitors. The Hilton a few blocks further down the road is $50 cheaper for larger room with a view and concierge lounge access. Live and learn.

Overpriced for this BW, awful breakfast options, noisy, lacking in customer service. Rating way below what I expect from Best Western and I have stayed and numerous BW's. The only positive thing I can say is that it was close to Old Town Fort Collins, CO

The hotel is clean but worn. It's only claim to fame is it's proximity to the CSU CAMPUS. This last trip was for our son's graduation. The room was very expensive. We chose the hotel because parking is very challenging. What pushed us over the edge was the lobby computer. This thing was so old if you starred at it, it would freeze. In multiple attempts spanning 45 minutes I was unable to check in for our flight home and print our boarding tickets. The staff was apologetic but of no help. For the money they charge one would think they could invest in a new computer. Last year, they checked us in with the airline on their computer. This is not a new issue. Again the room was clean. The breakfast ok. The pool seemed nice. Just very expensive and a simple amenity every other hotel/motel has didn't work and hadn't for a long time..

Mice running around the room, refrigerator not in working condition and just run down motel not a hotel. Breakfast was nasty. Front desk was not helpful in mice situation had to leave in the middle of the night!! Don't stay there!!

We were a little nervous when we drove up and saw that this Best Western is an older motel/hotel. Even more nervous when we discovered there's no elevator! (Front desk was quick to assure us that help could be provided schlepping luggage up and down stairs, but we didn't need it.) But...we actually really enjoyed our room and stay. Our room was a 2 queen with a living area with a sofa (not a sleeper sofa, though, which was a bit of a bummer). We were pleasantly surprised to find newly renovated 1.5 bathrooms in the space, which suited our family well. The beds were comfortable, and the room was large, quiet and well laid out. The hotel is within easy walking distance from the CSU campus. Laundry facilities were really nice and well priced. We didn't use it, but the pool area looked quite nice. We will definitely consider using this hotel again in the future.

Dogs in the “no pet” areas/rooms (hello allergies), broken beer bottles in the parking lot, a couple making-out in the hot tub. EW! A placard in the room warning about carbon monoxide??? And this was in the ‘newly renovated' section. The staff was totally disinterested about any of it. This was supposed to be a nice night away for a personal holiday, but I will not visit this location again.

We have stayed here on multiple occasions over the last 4 years. Our daughter is a student at CSU so the location is fantastic. The first visit was good. Over the years, the condition of the property has declined. On our last visit on February 19-20, 2022, the room was clean but it smelled musty, the toilet seat was only attached on one side so it slipped around, and the bathroom sink faucet was not attached to the counter top. There is a sign posted on every door, no pets allowed, but we were kept up at night and woken early the next morning by a dog barking incessantly across the hall. While the price was good, the quality of the stay was not.

I have had the worst day imaginable and needed a safe and comfortable place to rest my head. I drove straight to this hotel to get a room and didn't realize until I looked that I lost my license whilst packing my car in duress due to a crazy person effecting me and I had a picture on my phone luckily of my license and the nice young man at the counter asked how I was as I'm sure I looked a mess from crying. I told him briefly what happened and not only did I feel the compassion from him he took such good care of me and placed me next to the office incase I needed anything. The bed is so comfortable, the bath was perfect to rest my weary soul and wash off the days crap I experienced. The room is clean and comfortable and I'm so grateful I landed here for the night. I did not get the man's name but he is working the night shift and I wanted his boss to know they have an exceptional being representing their hotel. Thank you for the kindness.

$100 plugs a night, $300 deposit. Run down rooms they say are remodeled. A very loud and dirty creepy environment. Staff doesn't communicate well with customers or each other. They lost my $300 deposit and I had to wait for it. Rooms were still dirty. Had heating and heater issues. Overall for $400 for a night it wasn't with it for my baby and wife.

We were very impressed with the staff during our stay. They rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and they had a nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. The parking is a little difficult if you are in the back building with a larger truck. However, it was very convenient to the university and within walking distance to several restaurants. We will stay here again the next time we are in town!

Great location and clean. Check in and check out was easy. We walked to the Downtown area from the hotel. Great coffee shop 1 block away. The hotel has a great location. There is also a grocery store about 3 blocks away and a Target where we got snacks and waters.

Staff was asleep for 5 minutes at check in desk before reliazing guests were there. Charged us for parking then said no room had to park on street which patroled for towing starting @ 8am, refused refund of parking fee. Water pressure was weak. Heater, water dripping, people outside were noisy all night. Horrible stay

I needed a one night stay with my dog while my floors were being refinished. This was totally adequate for that purpose. I was in a pet friendly room and don't know if the other rooms were similar. This was very basic but acceptable for one person and a tiny dog. I thought the $25.00 fee for my dog was a bit high plus a $100.00 refundable deposit, especially given there is absolutely no place on the property for the dog to do business. On the other hand, it's close to CSU and restaurants, the room was clean and the amenities were fine.

We arrived at almost midnight. There was a pleasant gentleman there to help is check in. The place was very clean and nice. The rooms were smoke free which was fantastic. The breakfast options were nice. We will stay here again when we visit.

We booked a room for our daughter to stay in while visiting Fort Collins. We gave the hotel a credit card, but the night she arrived she was told that we needed to fill out a form for the hotel to charge the card. Nothing was said about this at the time of the booking. I spoke to the manager on duty and told her that we out to dinner, but she snippily informed me that the only way for my daughter to get a room was by sending them photos of my credit card and my ID. This presents a host of privacy and security concerns, and shows a complete lack of customer service. The Best Western University Inn seems to think that the customer should endanger their own security to protect the hotel.

i requested for a 1pm check out. the peson at receptin guaranted me a late check out and said it will not be. a problem. I came back from the university at 12:30 after my test and all my stuff was gone. They had conveniently moved my stuff to the reception because supposedly no told them about the late check out. also the bathrrom areas was smelling damp and this place is so noisy. i could clearly hear each and every car passing on the road. difficult night and couldnt sleep. horrible experience will definitely not stay.

The hotel is in need of a complete remodel. Rooms are old, dingy and smelly. So many better options in the area for a similar price. The staff was nice but the hotel is gross. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere

I was appalled that I booked the hotel under my husband's name (using my credit card) and have always been the one to check in....EXCEPT at this Best Western. I was refused to check in and my husband had to do it. I have ALWAYS done the check in without problems. We were also told that there was a $7 per night parking, which is NOT mentioned on the website. There was also a $200 charge upfront damage fee that was NOT mentioned on the website. This hotel is catering to either college students or college age and allows unnecessary behavior. Loud noises at night. Would not stay here again. Outside trash cans were not emptied and were overflowing.

My daughter and I were in Fort Collins for a CSU Campus tour and stayed at the Best Western University Inn. The Hotel was very convenient for accessing the campus and exploring the area around it. The staff was awesome and went WAY above and beyond to help us get to DIA when the Groome Shuttle forgot us and left us in Fort Collins less then three hours before our flight. Without their help we would have missed our flight. We will certainly be back at the University Inn.

To start off they charge you almost $8 a night to park your car in their lot. If you pay with cash they take forever to get you checked in. The rooms are not cleaned very well if at all. There is no handsoap in the rooms. The room we stayed in smelled like paint and dirty feet. The bathroom fixtures (shower head, shower curtain rod, shampoo/conditioner dispenser, hot and cold faucet was switched around) were broken or falling off the wall. The day we checked out the room and hallway smelled like Marijuana. You could see underneath the doors.

I missed the charge of $7.00+ for parking. Surprised to see it when I checked out. Staff was friendly and location to campus and downtown is great. Rooms are a bit dated and traffic on College Ave is busy and loud, well into the evening.

Very safe area ..close to old town and sights I got a better deal by calling directly Used AAA and the very nice gentleman gave me a mid week rate ..upgrade and no parking fee ..we stayed a Friday night and graduation was going on ...lucky to even get a room ... But still expensive for what we got ...you pay for location The room was clean and everything was fine except the noisy fridge ..so we unplugged it Bed very comfortable.. amenities in bathroom Coffee maker and microwave nice to have .... Amazingly quiet for being next to a road ..lots of parking Nice little area to sit outside .. Good breakfast ... We were happy with our stay ..

Right next door to Colorado University which is where my daughter stays. So it was perfect. Easy to walk around town. Location was easy to find. Parking was right near room. This is a great area to stay for cheap. I'm definitely coming back.

Stayed here 2 to look at CSU with my daughter. Walking distance from campus. Close to downtown. Nothing fancy. Basic accommodations at a good price. Staff very helpful and friendly. Basic breakfast. Due to Covid it is served to you in a to go box. Would stay here again.

The shower is hot and the bed is comfortable. The lady that checked us in at night gave us our breakfast at that time. To keep in the fridge til morning. What a concept!!! Other Best Westerns should take note. Some of us that are handicapped with pets might not be able to get up and down to find breakfast between 6-9 in the morning. At the Boulder inn and the Best Western plus in Ogden--I never received breakfast. And the manager at the Boulder Inn was snooty about it. The room has artwork pictures from downtown and CSU. Nice fluffy pillows, pet friendly. The dogs even received a milk bone biscuit. As an artist--I found the rock sculpture of a stegosaurus in the shower Impressive. Also recycling container.

This property and staff offer exceptional customer service and adjusted their offerings during very difficult times. Thank you for your effort and making this a great stay for us. We will be back again.

clean, quiet, friendly staff, lots of parking. Great location. Close to Old Town fort collins. nice a/c. comfortable bed. breakfast was Ok usual free hotel breakfast. toilet was really low, like weird low. I have bad knees hard to stand up and sit if you know what i mean.

We were visiting our CSU student, easy access to college, old town and breweries. The front desk staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and had the amenities we needed. These rooms are very spacious as well.

I booked this property after reading the reviews and because it was close to my son's apt. It is a cheap old property. You will get what you paid for. It is a 1950 style exterior entrance. The room was cold and never warmed up. I took the bedding from the second bed to keep warm. The desk people were very nice but the property is dated.I left at 6a the next morning and went to another hotel. If you like camping , this will be an upgrade but bring a heater .

My daughter and I stayed here on a trip to attend a track event at CSU. Their coach recommended this hotel due to its close proximity to the field house. It is literally across the street and we could've walked if we wanted to. It was decent. We had a room with two double beds and plenty of pillows. A basic breakfast is provided. There were a few little things that made it not great: the bathroom light was burned out which made the morning make-up application for two women harder, the room heater's thermostat didn't seem to work, which meant either a cold or boiling hot room, and the walls were fairly thin. We were in an adjoining room and could hear the people next door very clearly. The best thing going for it was friendly staff, not being too expensive, and the close proximity to where we were headed on campus. If you expect luxury, this is not the hotel for you.

We had the opportunity to spend three nights at this property while in town on family business. We stayed in the back building with hallway access. It was very quiet, clean and well maintained. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient in sign in and out. The breakfast staff kept it well stocked and clean, The cleaning staff did a very good job in our room. Would stay here again

My wife and I recently spent seven nights at the Holiday Inn University in Fort Collins. We have stayed there a number of times over the past several years. We find the facility to be clean, comfortable and well maintained with a friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed the facilities including the very nice indoor pool and the clean, efficient guest laundry. Although the facility has been in operation for a long time, it is very well maintained and kept up to date. The facility is conveniently located on south College Avenue literally across the street from the Colorado State University. There are lots of shops and eateries in the immediate area. We certainly will be staying at this facility when we next visit Fort Collins.

Drove up for Thanksgiving with my son. Most businesses closed due to 20 inches of snow and the hotel thought ahead and provided complimentary sandwiches for lunch for those who didn't have family nearby when all the restaurants were closed. Really felt like home away from home having this hotel care about their guests so much.

Bed bugs - handled graciously, but ick factor remains. Were supposed to stay two night with five rooms. Found bed bug morning after first night. Checked out to stay at another hotel. Staff was apologetic, refunded all five rooms. Later that day recharged four of the rooms. Bad business.

My in-room coffee maker didn't work properly: it leaked water outside of the cup placed below the coffee filter basket, resulting in less than a half cup of weak coffee. Also, the body wash dispenser didn't dispense body wash, but not because it was empty - it was completely full. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told that the dispenser is a Best Western design & won't be replaced unless Best Western hotels receive a lot of complaints, which I was told they have. This is one of the most ridiculous excuses for a non-working hotel amenity that I have heard. I was not offered any credit toward my bill for these inconveniences. These are the reasons why I won't stay at a Best Western again.

We travel a lot with work and the first motel we try to book is Best Western in what ever town we are assigned. They are very accommodating to our needs and all the best Western s where we have stayed had been very welcoming.

Upon completing my survey for this hotel I had let them know that is very likely I was bitten by bedbugs at this property. I received a generic email response from the hotel thanking me for "completing the survey". I replied to the email asking if they actually read my survey, I've received no response. I am 80% sure that they bedbug bites occurred at this property. Be diligent! I usually do a better job of checking the bed. I was tired at the end of a long week of travel and I was off my game. It could have been worse, but a huge inconvenience having to handle my luggage with care upon arrival at home to ensure I did not bring any of the bedbugs home.

We ahve a daughter attending CSU and htis is located in the perfect location for us to visit her. Campus is across the street, old town about a mile away. We have stayed at this location many times now and have never had a bad experience. The staff are super friendly, room is always very clean, check in is very quick and the best western mobile app is amazing.

Best location in town. Perfect setup for traveling with my small dog. Close designated pet area. My dog loved the green space of Focus Park across the street as well. Breakfast service had much to chose from. I appreciate the very friendly professional front desk staff and cleaning staff. All greeted me and my dog with a smile.

Staff treated me with friendliness and kindness. I found them willing to accommodate any need and went beyond expectations. Everything was very clean and well kept both in the room and in the front lobby. The free breakfast provided a good variety and was refreshed often.

From the first greeting to the phone call telling us we had forgotten something, this was the best chain hotel experience I have had in a very long time. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet kept filled and food was fresh and very good. The big thing that impressed me was the friendliness and hospitality from every single person who works there. I will return if I am lucky enough to visit Fort Collins again.

Excellent location and attractive property. The pool and hot tub were perfect for our grandchildren. 2nd floor rooms are only accessible by stairs. Sufficient parking. Breakfast was adequate and food kept coming out fresh even close to ending time as many guests eat at the latest time possible. Front desk was very friendly.

seems to have had a light renovation but the attempt to update and make it feel like its competitors falls short. The breakfast room is awkward and breakfast is minimal. Our room was tiny and depressing. The bathroom was microscopic. The towels were very rough. Bed linens were tired. Cleaning service was not exactly thorough. Location is pretty good, and they do have parking. Night reception was a bit abrupt (and I think a bit wasted). Our room was very noisy; we had what was likely the worst room in the place, under a stairwell and with garbage bins right outside our door, so plenty of noise from other guests and motel staff. But also the plumbing was messed up so that anytime we or an adjacent room used a faucet there would be violent banging in the pipes when the faucet was turned off. Rather startling though I suppose with time you could tune it out.

The check-in was expedient and friendly, and I was given a nice nightly discount upon request. There was plenty of no-charge parking. Beware there are no elevators if you are physically challenged. The room was very clean and facing a side street. Small fridge, coffee set-up and free daily bottled water (2) were in the room. The bedding and mattresses were good. There were plenty of towels. Oddly, the toilet suddenly made bizarre bubbling sounds at 10:15 PM the first night with no provocation, and then it promptly overflowed onto the floor. We had not flushed anything or recently used the toilet at all. It was snaked and cleaned promptly, but the plumbing in this room was questionable even after that (sink and toilet). The A/C was so loud and rattling that we opted to open the window instead. The ongoing traffic from College Blvd., even facing a side street, and the train engineer's obsession with the horn was not good. I can't imagine a room actually facing College. The noise from the room overhead was like a herd crossing. The breakfast room was clean and there was plenty of great coffee and decent breakfast fare for all tastes. The gym's treadmill was broken, and after myself and a maintenance guy tried the usual problem-solving issues, the last I saw him he was going to be dismantling it with tools. The water dispenser was empty and not functioning either. Since the room was relatively small, I ended up leaving as it was not going to be comfortable trying to do anything with him in there as well. The pool looked great, but the Jacuzzi water appeared unclean to me. If you are there for a vacation (we were not), it is very well located across from part of the CSU campus and the quaint area of downtown. Upon the morning of departure, the cleaning staff were banging around right outside our door and making it obvious they wanted us out, even though it wasn't even 8:00 AM. I finally had to tell them we were not checking out yet. The desk staff were friendly and overall the price was right. We had stayed here years prior, and it seems to have gone downhill somewhat. Like anything, there were positives and negatives. I would personally not consider the facility above three-stars due to the comments above.

Had a couple of nights here. Very walkable to old town Square, only 15mins. Room was clean and spacious. Really liked the fire pits outside, we made good use of those. Didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

There is nothing better than being greeted and treated like a person of importance. This visit was one of my best ever just for the mere fact the staff person that helped me was as helpful and as friendly as they get.

This hotel is priced nicely and located in a central area of Fort Collins. My teenage daughter and I had room 203, which is on the top floor, facing the parking lot. Not much of a view but we didn't stay there for the view. It's got 2 double beds so I wouldn't want to share the bed with another adult but the beds were pretty comfortable. It's got a fridge and a microwave and looked like it had a door for a possible connecting room. The room was pretty clean- it could use an update but was still clean. It was pretty quiet at night, except for the train and it's horn at 10:30 PM & 5:30 AM. The breakfast was OK- scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, mini muffins, bagels, toast, fruit, oatmeal, and the coffee was pretty good. I'd stay there again if ever in the area.

The layout was very unique. Pool separate building, lobby/breakfast a separate building, courtyard setting with 2 internal parking lots. We didn't want to go outside and walk across 2 parking lots so we didn't use the pool. It did have a picnic/dog park area. Breakfast was good but felt uncomfortable due to breakfast lady stopping what she was doing to watch me look over tea options, trying to decide if I wanted to make a cup.

Had an amzing stay at Best Western University Inn. Origially only staying 2 nights and ended extending for 2 more nights. They wee incredibly accomodating and made us feel absolutly welcomed and safe.

I believe in their great customer service, the pillows in this occasion were the first I'd experienced some neck pain but it was tolerable. The location and breakfast and great hot shower made up for it. The staff was friendly as was expected but Annie was amazing overall. Thanks Annie!

Room and Hotel were clean and updated. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Air Conditioner worked fine. Shower was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with a lot of options. Coffee was good. Great location next to campus and Old Town.

We stayed two nights on the 3rd and 4th of May. This hotel is very nice and centrally located. We like that they had dog friendly rooms. The breakfast in the morning was good. They had a great selection, more than we thought would be there. The kids really enjoyed the pool. Overall, a good stay.

Situated near CSU, this Best Western is clean and comfortable. Parking was easy (they have to give you a pass due to college students repeatedly trying to park there) and check-in was quick and friendly. The highlight for us, as a late-spring snow fell, was the indoor pool and hot tub. Very relaxing. Our room had two decent beds, a small bathroom, and was very clean. Complimentary breakfast was standard BW fare, and there are lots of food and grocery store options nearby. I imagine a lot of families stay here while visiting the university, and I never felt like I was staying at a party hotel.

It was cold and snowing so the indoor hot tub was greatly appreciated! So warm and cozy! We loved staying at this Best Western - it was close to the cute little downtown area and the university. We were able to park right outside our room too which is always a plus. The coffee in the coffee bar was excellent too! Your best bet for clean, quiet, welcoming and convenient stay in Fort Collins.

Very friendly staff. Several family members and friends stayed here and it was nice to see fellow guests. Best of all, I realized when I arrived home that I left my jewelry bag in our room. Karina, the manager, found it in our safe and returned it immediately the next day. We SO appreciated her help!

For a prospective CSU parent, it doesn't get better than this. Across the street from campus, it is so convenient! Breakfast was fine, the room was fine. Staff was friendly. The indoor pool and spa looked great but we did not have time to enjoy it unfortunately.

We stayed at the Best Western University Inn because we wanted to be close to CSU. The location was perfect and the hotel was really nice for the price. Staff went out of their way to help with anything, which was appreciated. We will definitely stay here again when in Fort Collins.

First I think people should know which category the hotel is. Fancy high end, middle nicely decorated and the most common, and lastly budget hotels. Some Best Westerns are in the middle category and seem fancier and new and some are in the older lower category. I believe this falls into the budget lower category. That being said being a budget hotel hasn't hurt them. They are top notch with guest services, they have a good clean well done breakfast with real food, and they keep their rooms clean and beds replaced. If you don't need fancy, but want a good family or just a very reasonable place to go, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel/motel. They have the option of pets which are the outside rooms and non-smoking no pet rooms which are inside. It is directly across from CSU and we walked over to the college daily since it is hard to park. I will stay here again when we come back to town to see our child at school. They also rent bikes and getting around this town is super easy as you are right on the fantastic bus line they have. No car necessary once you are in town. This was the top rating for this type of hotel. And on a side note we had two other budget hotels we had to stay in and one we left before we checked in because it was so dirty and the other we left early as the staff and accommodations were substandard both of which were rated well by other patrons, so I have a hard time with the reviews. fantastic location, no sitting area in room, large refrigerator with microwave, good cooling system.

This hotel is great. It's within walking distance of a lot of colorful local independent businesses, bars and restaurants. It's also close to biking/walking trails. There staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They also have a big pool and a nice gym for getting a workout in.

Close to downtown Ft Collins. Lots of restaurants working walking distance. Good continental breakfast, comfy clean beds, gym, pool, and hot tub. A great place to stay in Ft Collins. It's my go to place!

Staff was superb! Clean place but older but very close to train tracks and on a main street so it was too noisy for me. Location is wonderful for the college. Literally right across the street and pretty close to downtown. Probably a 10 minute walk to downtown.

The hotel did not appear as I expected a BW to look but it was a very nice place, very comfortable bed, very good hot breakfast, help staff and great location for a meeting on the CSU campus. Best place I could have been and felt lucky to have gotten a room there. I highly recommend it.

Everyone we encountered, front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast, were all delightful and genuinely happy to help. The room was spotless and seemed updated. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Fort Collins!

We stayed here as a group for a CSU football game, 4 rooms in all. The staff is awesome and incredibly nice - front desk, housekeeping, all of them. Check in was a breeze and we were able to check-in early before the game. The room was clean, comfortable, and as upgraded as can be for an older hotel. The location is amazing to be able to walk to/from stadium for game. We will stay here again for game days.

The check in was easy, and the staff were friendly. I was in the back building for four days. The room was nice, heat worked well, bed was comfy, towels were thick, and location to the university can't be beat. The pool and exercise facility were great. The rooms are loud. You could hear people talking in the corridor and in the next room. There were also inexplicable thuds and bangs during my stay. A few times I was awoken by a thud, or by someone running up the steps outside my room. Maybe the other buildings were better. I will stay again during the off season, but would not pay the Summer cost. I would not recommend the back building it if you sleep lightly. Overall I had a good experience, but have trouble recommending the facility if you need a quiet room.

I stayed here to drop my daughter to CSU. This is very near to CSU and on College Ave, So you can walk to CSU and other nearby restaurants. Also the rates are reasonable and with very good and helpful staff at this place.Nice Breakfast with gluten free options available every morning. I wanted to extend my stay at this hotel but oculdnt since they were sold out and late in the night the front service desk lady Megan tried helping me get room at other nearby hotels by calling them herself and asking for lowest rate possible.She also advised which are better hotels and which are not.Overall I am very pleased with this hotel and their service, Highly recommend.

The check inn was very easy and fast. The gal at the front desk had the keys ready so it was as simple as signing the paper and we were set. There is no elevator to access the second floor that I saw. If you have accessibility problems request the first floor. The gym and pool are is very large and spacious. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The one thing that was not great is they have dispensers in the shower for shampoo and soap. The soap was gone. I wish they would use the small bottles that you typically see. It seems like when I stay at a hotel with dispensers something is always gone. The room was very quite for a motel. The breakfast was fantastic for a continental breakfast. Very friendly staff all around...

I stayed here for a couple of nights and really liked the location right next to CSU. The staff were also really friendly and I liked the breakfast - although I missed dark bread. Overall I'm happy with my stay

We visited this Best Western because we were taking a tour of CSU. This is an excellent location for touring the CSU campus. We could walk from the hotel to the admissions office. Also, close to the downtown area. We found everyone who worked at the front desk and breakfast area during our stay to be so friendly. It was apparent they all enjoyed their jobs and loved helping people. We will definitely return here if my daughter chooses to attend CSU.

I cannot say enough great things about my stay here! I stayed 3 nights for business and was pleasantly surprised. All the employees were super friendly when I arrived. The make your own breakfast burritos each morning were delicious. They replace the water bottles in your room for free each day if you drink them (AHHHMAZING). Super convenient location to EVERYTHING (restaurants, kinkos, shops, downtown, etc.) I was a little nervous at first about the “motel” feel but I stayed in the east building which doesn't have room access from the outside (there's a key card secured building entry). The computer and printer were available 24 hours for free for guests. Overall, really pleasantly surprised and would stay here again anytime. Highly recommend!

An older but clean and well-kept hotel near CSU campus and downtown amenities. Desk service was was very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely appointed and the mattress was fabulous! I've never slept so well in a hotel bed.

Our room backed up to a busy train track that was about 100 feet from our window. When the trains passed by, it felt like we were in a train station. It was VERY noisy. That was our main complaint. The room was large and the bathroom was a good size too. The room was clean but the furniture was a bit banged up. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were average..a 5 out of 10. There was a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room and that was nice. All in all, it was just an average hotel and experience for us.

We called to see if a room was available closer to downtown Fort Collins after reserving near I-25. Megan, at the desk, was so friendly and helpful arranging our next two nights. And she was equally pleasant in person the next day. The Inn is right across the street from the Colorado State University which has a beautiful campus to explore - along with the not to missed Trial Gardens just down the street. The Inn is close to downtown and old town. The breakfast is one of the best with something for everyone. And just a block away is Nick's Pizza, (5 stars). There is nothing negative I could say about this place. Especially the personnel.

We just spent one night at the Best Western University Inn. We came up from Denver to see our alma matter play CSU. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was great; we were able to park at the hotel and walk to everything (although we may have taken an Uber or two). While we were not in the room much more than to sleep, I thought the room was clean and well appointed (had a microwave and small fridge). We were in a non-pet room and didn't notice any trace of a pet being there, that was a plus for us since we were worried that rules may not always be followed.

This was a great place to stay for our mini vacation. We were able to find the hotel and stay for our neice's wedding and walk almost everywhene we had to go. Nice staff and the rooms were clean, the bed was great!

I took classes at csu and stayed at this hotel. great to walk to restaurants and campus. beautiful trees and landscape across the street at csu to look at when eating breakfast on the front patio. took a walk there after dinner. Nice place.

The hotel was well situated and the hotel staff were very nice, helpful and accomodating. I was pleased with the hotel and my stay there. My only complaint was that the pool was did not appear to be clean.

A number of great restaurants are within walking distance of this hotel! I stayed three nights and slept well in this clean and quiet hotel. The free morning breakfasts were very good. The shower has easy temperature control and good water flow. The TV has a nice selection of stations. The room has refrigerator and microwave. The room is very comfortable and cozy. The staff is very warm and welcoming. In short, this middle aged hotel with remodeled rooms is a great place to stay.

This is a friendly hotel located not too far from the Rocky Mountain Nation Park. We weren't ever too far from the next day's excursion to another mountain adventure. I was surprised though at the business of the city and found some of the drivers too aggressive, blasting their horns at us at intersections and cutting us off when they passed. It looked like a smaller town on Google Maps and that is one of the reasons I chose this hotel. It is a college town and that may accounts for the aggressive driving. The city didn't slow down much in the evenings either.The staff were great and the pool, pool area and hot tub were outstanding. Also bonus points for the wonderful breakfast selection. I had to deduct a point as the air conditioning made a strange noise like a distant siren, not the normal constant white noise that they normally make. Ear plugs were provided in a drawer by the bed. I normally wear earplugs to sleep anyway so it didn't keep me awake.All in all we had a wonderful vacation in Colorado seeing some of the many sites to see.

We went to Ft. Collins for an overnight stay with friends. This hotel was exactly what we needed: a clean place to sleep and close enough to walk everywhere. Will definitely stay here again if going to Ft. Collins. Also, staff was very friendly at check in - the only time I needed to interact with them.

Always a nice and convenient place to stay. Clean rooms, comfortable bed and quiet. Safe location. Nice walking area plus many things close by car too. Breakfast 6 - 9:30 daily with a nice selection (eggs, meat, potatoes, pastries, fruit, hot cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, tea). Also has "take & go" bags available. My room also had a microwave, coffee/tea pot, and refrigerator (larger than what is usually in a motel room). Nice sized swimming pool, hot tub, fitness room along with bicycles for rent. Laundry facilities available if needed. Also a courtyard type sitting area.

A bit high priced for what it is. Walls are paper thin, so if you end up with a neighbor that lacks respect you might be up all night. AC is wall mount and controlled. Ours was loud as a train and the AUTO mode did not work. We ended up leaving after one night and went to another hotel as the noise from the neighbor prevented us from sleeping. If you get good neighbors this would be an okay place to rest.... you take the chance though....

The place is clean. AC worked well. Breakfast did the trick, nothing fancy. Pool was a plus. Great location only a few blocks from busy Old Town Fort Collins and all of its bars and restaurants. I would recommend to a friend that was not looking for a Hilton experience.

We stayed here because our first choices did not allow dogs. Room was tiny and bathroom could not have been smaller. Room was old and dated and pillows were incredibly small. In the morning we headed to the lobby for coffee and breakfast. Right in the seating area of the lobby was dog poo left behind by a fellow traveler. Not what you want to see before eating. Staff at the front desk just sat and talked and you couldn't help but overhear talk of one employee's love life, it was awkward. I can't believe I wasted $182 on my stay here, I have paid less in downtown Chicago for a much nicer room.

My family of four stayed at Best Western University Inn at Fort Collins on a recent trip to take a tour of CSU. It was an excellent choice. The employees were friendly and helpful; they gave us very helpful guidance on places to eat and generally how to get around Ft Collins. The room wasn't 5 star, but it was clean and comfortable. The location is superb, much more convenient than anything else we could have chosen. We were able to walk to campus so we didn't have to fuss with parking permits. We will definitely make this our first choice next time we are in Ft Collins.

This hotel was convenient to downtown, helpful staff, very clean, huge rooms, nice breakfast- overall very satisfied. I loved that they had bikes to rent to hotel guests. I would definitely stay Best Western again!

Our room was very nicely decorated and very clean. Everything was working as they are supposed to, including the air conditioning. We like the nice king-sized bed with very comfortable mattress with plenty of pillows and cushions. The room was very quiet and we slept through the night very well. The breakfast had plenty of options and everything was very fresh and tasty.

Clean and quiet near CSU with pool, spa, laundry, fitness center, and meeting room. A few restaurants and bars are nearby. I would recommend a room in the back, but all rooms look to be well protected from road noise on the busy College Ave.

We had a short stay at this hotel, and although the room is average, it served our purpose well. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown and right across from the university campus. While the room is average, it served our purpose well. Staff is very courteous and helpful, WiFi worked great and a very nice bed. Overall, for a short stay, this is a great hotel for a reasonable price and in a great location.

Good hotel, nice size rooms (had a room in the back building which was a bit dark, but ok). Rooms are kept very clean. Bed was good. Breakfast excellent and somebody was around constantly to replenish the buffet. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Eating places within walking distance and if we needed a cab, the front desk would call. Nice service!

If you're looking for a hotel that is directly across from the CSU campus, this is the place. It's a great location and the hotel is good overall. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Our room (1 king, ground floor) was fine, although it seemed dark, small, and a little dated. I did not feel that it was a good value for the money, but I guess that the location mitigates that to some extent. They have bicycle rentals which is a nice service.

We stayed at the University Inn in mid-June 2018 while visiting Ft. Collins. The staff was very helpful. We arrived early and the staff moved quickly to prepare our room. Our suite room was large, clean, and well appointed. There is a pool and an exercise room. The hotel is adjacent to CSU and a short trip to the Old Town area. We will stay here again.

Love this hotel!! Staff was great, so friendly and helpful, especially K. at the front desk. Room was spacious and very comfortable, the bed was a dream. Pool and hot tub are very nice, and this seems like a great place to bring kids. Breakfast was great and the lobby is cute. Excellent location near the college and next to coffee shops, etc. I will def stay again when I come back through Ft Collins!

Loved the Best Western. What do they say, location, Location, location? Can not beat it... right across the street from the University. Our room for four of us, 2 adults and 2 teens was a bit tight. Wish that we could have has queen beds. Pool area was awesome! Hot tub was super hot. The separate building was great. Breakfast was good! Waffle bar was a hit! Maintenance crew did awesome!! I dropped my necklace down the drain by accident and they were able to retrieve!! Awesome job! Would stay here again!

Stayed here for the first time for 2 nights for CSU orientation. First the location is great. Never had to move my car and could walk right across the street to campus. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Room was comfortable and the bottled water was very much appreciated after traveling all day and not being used to the altitude change. The free breakfast was very good but keep in mind the area is very tight with not a lot of seating. Front desk staff very nice and welcoming. My only complaint was the air conditioning was not working very well and was loud. This will be our go to hotel for the next 4 years while our student attends CSU!

We have now stayed here twice for week long visits (while taking out dog to the CSU veterinary hospital for treatment). We had two different rooms (both in the pet-friendly front section of the hotel). Both rooms were well laid out and impeccably kept. The breakfast here is very good - it changes slightly day to day (which is nice when you are there for a while). Besides the waffles, scrambled eggs, meat (bacon or sausage), potatoes, hot/cold cereals, pastries, hard boiled egg, yogurt, etc - they offer grated cheese, diced ham, salsa and warm tortillas to make your own burritos. The breakfast area was very good for business people as well as tourists. Coffee is always available - and it is good coffee. Dazbog. We liked the coffee (available in different blends) so much that we bought some at a nearby Dazbog shop to bring home. There is a nice dog walk area in the back section. The whole area is landscaped with gorgeous flowers. There are fire pits and seating areas also. The indoor pool is lovely - and even though it is glass enclosed - it doesn't get horribly hot. It is perfectly inviting - and has a hot tub section to the pool. The workout area is adjacent and has more machines than some of the other motels in the area. And, it is appropriately air conditioned for comfort and safety. The staff (both front office and maintenance) was very helpful and friendly. I always felt very welcomed. The location is excellent. It is both near CSU and restaurants. Yet it is very quiet in the room.

Good location, The room was clean ( 3 waste baskets), The bed was comfortable, TV acceptable (could have used a printed channel guide), Vanity nice, Shower was poor as they had put in an adapter to raise the shower head for very tall people and that removed almost all of the swivel of the head. Had to stand in the middle of the tub to be in the spray instead of having it spray on me. Breakfast was the usual powdered eggs and semi raw bacon, dry cereal, reasonable coffee / tea. I would go back.

The location, room, service, breakfast and staff were excellent. We heartily recommend it for at stay in Fort Collins. We biked around Fort Collins for 3 days and were able to enjoy the lovely bike paths directly from the hotel. And, it is directly across from the Oval at Colorado State University.

Staff was very friendly and prompt. Rooms are small and need some updating, but clean. The air conditioning did not work great and was very noisy. Enjoyed the outdoor area with fire pits. Breakfast was good. Biggest disappointment—-the pool was very cold! Kids were looking forward to swimming more.

The staff were so nice and helpful. I love that they have bikes available, and the location is great for exploring Old Town. I was able to spend some time in the pool, which is in it's own separate building kind of like a greenhouse. Very relaxing. Nothing extra fancy, but I slept very well, the rooms are clean and it's nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. Decent hot breakfast too!

We loved our stay at Best Western University Inn in Fort Collins! On May 21 we brought 50 SkiMeisters (55+ aged skiing group who also bikes and hikes) for a 3 night, 4 day bike/hike/brewery tour. The staff of bwui went out of their way to provide a great experience for our members! They were most friendly, helpful and flexible allowing us to use the conference room, making copies for us etc. The location was wonderful, close to old town, the university and we could start 2 of our bike rides right from the hotel. The breakfasts were wonderful as well! A special shout out to Ellen Rotunno with whom I worked to reserve the rooms for the group. She was exceptional! The committee also spent 1 night pretrip in April at BWUI as we scouted out the bike and hike trails. We received many compliments from the members about the hotel and staff and this should be the first of many trips back to Fort Collins and BWUI!

The rooms are clean, good service and a nice breakfast. A convenient location to things to do in Fort Collins. It is a central location to go difference directions in town. Also restaurants are close by that you can walk to them.

Easy check in, friendly and professional staff, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast!!! Close to our training site and close to many activities and places to eat at night. Found some of the best cookies and cookie dough, go to a museum, plus was able to tour a brewery and ride on a cool slide. Would recommend Ft. Collins as a place to relax and visit.

Affordable, clean and very friendly staff. Wonderful complimentary breakfast. Bring your swimsuit for a jump in the pool! Rooms have all the amenities you may need. We were here for our daughter's graduation from CSU and the location could not be beat! It is in walking distance of the ceremony and, for us personally, was in walking distance of her apartment. Just perfect!

The lodging is simply basic. The front desk staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast is the basic standard at most hotels, but the breakfast area was not well thought out and dysfunctional. Our stay was for a graduation event and the value of the room/property did not justify the rates charged. The convenience to CSU is the benefit.

The staff was the best, allowing early check in after I had been on the road 12 hours. Also located near college and Old Town, with easy bike rental. Will stay here again the next time I am passing trough Fort Collins.

This was my second visit to this property because of its central location and that I remembered enjoying it so much the first time. It was just okay this time. They had started some minor renovating which is always good. I hope they do something about the loud fans in the bath areas. YIKES! I am also hoping that they find a way to improve any outside conversations that take place at night. They have a great property here but at the same time, if people are conversing, it tends to amply and bounce off the walls and into rooms. Otherwise, I love the area location and I think it's a very good value.

The staff, Sarah Vicek, manager and employees, Conor and Sam and others, were very considerate and friendly. The room was comfortable and breakfast good, coffee not so much. The woman who works in the dining room is very nice and helpful. If you need to use the laundry, you will love theirs. It's the nicest and biggest laundry have ever seen at a hotel! We were there for an emergency with our dog and wanted to be close to the Colorado State Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Best Western is very close and convenient.

Nice staff, room was clean . We stayed in the section with interior doors , which was nice and you could tell remodeled. The front desk was nice and friendly. The breakfast your standard, fresh fruit ( banana and apples) , oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs cereal, waffles etcc.. Great location across the street from CSU. College street has a lot of restaurants and stores .

Good value hotel - clean, attractive, everything working well. Substandard breakfast with watered down coffee, cramped, noisy dining room in the lobby area, 1-1/2 inch round cinnamon rolls, fewer selections than competitors.

Rooms are really clean and their breakfast was the best on the road trip so far. Staff was really nice and accommodating. When checking in with a dog, they give you a little package with a milk bone and a poop bag. Nice touch. I read about it being loud in other reviews but that didnt stop us from staying there. There were ear plugs in the bed side table - not sure if thats because they were aware of the noise or if it was just a free thing they give? In the middle of the night we did hear a train, it wasnt that bad but its a thing. Its across from a college and close to some bars/restaurants, so everything is pretty walkable. Rooms are smaller than your average hotel. Overall, I dont have any complaints.

This is the only hotel I stay at in Fort Collins. The rooms are always spotless, and the staff always go above and beyond to make sure that guests are happy and comfortable. The housekeeping staff is on point, and the front desk staff are always prepared with directions, restaurant recommendations, ect. No other hotel staff anticipates guest needs like these folks, they're awesome!!! Also a short walk to downtown or CSU with reasonable room rates that includes a full hot breakfast buffet. Hard to beat!!

I stayed recently with my daughter and the staff was so helpful and nice. The pool was my daughters favorite part, very clean and up kept. The breakfast was delicious, and they even had honey and lemon for my soar throat. What hotel does that?! I will most defiantly be coming back to stay. Its also in a great location from downtown Fort Collins, so we could easily walk to any restaurants and shops.

Perfect location if visiting CSU because depending on where you are going on campus, it may be a shorter walk from the hotel than from your parking space! This hotel seems older but they are doing a great job of trying to update and also keeping the place clean. Our first room had a toilet that wouldn't work and the gal at the front desk did her best but since maintenance wasn't there we moved to a different room. She was very nice about offering to help us move and also was SO apologetic about the inconvenience. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was free and had good choices! We were able to walk to the Lory Student Center in 10 minutes. Great location but my favorite part was the staff—they were all SO friendly and nice!

If I had noticed earlier but sink had hair in it and had been there so long it was stuck, wouldn't wash away. Wrote GM email that a.m. but no word after 2 days. Room was in back of property which is quieter than street side. Didn't partake in breakfast, it was no parking near there and quite a walk from way back room on chilly a.m. Checkout clerk didn't ask how my stay was, so I terminated the rest 4 nights.

Good clean stay for the night with friendly service and quiet surroundings. Close to campus and pretty much anything else you need to get to in the immediate Colorado State University vicinity. Good restaurants close to hotel also. Free parking and breakfast is included. Pool available, too.

We were traveling to Denver for a wedding and this hotel was one the bride suggested. Everyone was friendly and caring. The front desk even called the room once we got checked in to make sure we were happy with it. Plus the breakfast was wonderful and convenient.

Nice accommodations. Checkin was effortless. One bed was too soft, but overall a good value. Not too noisy. Breakfast was convenient and nicely presented. Ample parking and keyed access to the rooms. Felt secure. It is located right across the street from the University and just a few blocks from downtown. A good location to get around the town.

All the employees that I encountered here during our stay were kind greeted us with a smile and helped us get the best price without any argument. And the breakfast was great the best I've ever seen or had for FREE at a hotel

Beautiful pool room for family to sit and visit in. Pool needed vacuuming. Lobby staff very friendly and helpful. Jacuzzi in tub in room needed cleaning as put sand into the bathtub. Good location with an IHOP right next door. Breakfast was pretty standard.

Close to Old Town Fort Collins, extremely friendly staff who are willing to go the extra mile to make sure guests are happy, fresh hot breakfast, clean room, fast internet. Nothing to complain about at all!

If you need to go to Colorado State University for anything, this is in a good location. Older motel but very clean, very friendly help and very comfortable beds. They even serve a breakfast. Good pricing.

Notified staff at 1am of noisy upstairs neighbors, front desk did nothing to address the problem or the malfunctioning heater and odor in room. The location was good as it was easy to maneuver around the area, but would never stay here again.

Was a very nic clean room office personnel was very hospitable. Was fairly close to CSU Veterinary. Would recommend this motel to people only problem was I had a long pickup not a lot of room to park tho the was a small parking lot in back

Our stay at Best Western was super. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. They thought of everything. There were many amenities. The only thing we needed was a cork screw and they had one to borrow.

This is our 'go to' place in Fort Collins when we come to Colorado for Thanksgiving or other holidays. Great amenities, pleasant and easy staff. We booked on-line and then followed up with a modification to the reservation, and then upon arrival had to change it one more time to add another person. No problem and everything was easy and straight.

I will not return to this hotel. The location was good but there was a good side (the front of the hotel) and a bad side (the back, which bordered student rental housing). The doors outside our room slammed. The wall was so thin we heard entire conversations between the woman next door and the person with whom she had on her speaker phone — in fact, we were able to hear breathing on both sides.. The bedding was below average with very thin sheets. The room was otherwise clean. The tub filled with water during the shower even though the setting was on ‘drain'. Our experiences with Best Western are done, we will not be using them again (this was our second bad experience in a Best Western).

Stayed here four days while my dog was undergoing testing and surgery at CSUVTH. They offer a discount for guests who have pets being treated at CSUVTH. It is very close to the hospital and the inn staff is very kind and helpful. Because my dog cannot climb stairs, they were able to accommodate us in a ground floor room. One day I was without a ride back from the hospital with my medium sized dog and was trying to figure out if I could get a cab or use public transportation. The front desk manager offered to pick me up in the inn's van which was so appreciated and saved me and my ailing pet a lot of stress. The inn is an older style remodeled motel with rooms all opening onto the outdoors (as opposed to opening onto an interior hallway) which in cold weather can be “bracing”! Room size, particularly the bathroom, is on the small side but adequate. However, the room was very clean and comfortable and very satisfactory. I plan to stay again at the end of the month when we return for follow up care at the hospital because the convenience, cost and very helpful staff outweigh the minor drawbacks of the inn.

The room was definitely not big enough for 3 people. The bathroom was very small and the room itself was dark and outdated. It's a perfect location for visiting a student at CSU overnight. We had to change hotels mid stay because it was just too small. Our son was recovering from surgery and between the outside noise and room size it just wasn't working. The hotel staff was a pleasure to deal with but it just didn't work for us.

I gave this hotel a very good because, for the price, it is very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable, had all i needed. This is an older hotel that has been remodeled and the improvements have helped a lot. Older plumbing I think, because there was a loud noise in our rooms in the older part of the hotel. So not sure can help that. The breakfasts are great and it is great to just walk across the street to CSU campus.

Great location, You can't get much closer to Colorado State Campus then this! In addition to great amenities, like large pool area with retractable room, great fitness center and common areas. The rooms and beds were small and noisy location next to the road. But location, amenities and service was well worth it!!

I work remotely for Colorado State University and must visit Fort Collins at least once per year. I stay at this hotel every trip. The location is perfect for visiting the CSU Campus, the rooms have everything I need and the staff are terrific.

When we arrived we were expecting snow! Rain in the night before and 6" of snow on the car at checkout. Everything was great and the breakfast was out of sight! Went to visit old family friends in the town from fifty years ago.

The hotel/motel was an excellent choice for us. We could walk to the college and our granddaughter could easily go from the hotel to her classes. The location is the best part of the hotel, but we were very pleased with the staff. The rooms are small, but we were able to have the room we needed,.Breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast - not great, but okay.

Nice, clean efficiently run, very friendly hotel at a perfect location for University visit. The University is across the street, restaurants are walking distance, excellent transportation possibilities. Very safe, crime free environment

This hotel is conveniently located across the street from Colorado State University. It is also a short walk or bike ride to the historic downtown. There are two buildings with rooms. One is connected to the lobby & all the rooms have outside access. The second building is a short walk to the lobby but the rooms are accessed inside. Neither building has an elevator. The hallways can be quite noisy with college students. The breakfast includes eggs, bacon, waffle station, steel cut oatmeal, cereal, & a variety of breafs

Nice facility in a collage town. Hotel is older but was nicely remodeled. There is a second story so be prepared to carry bags upstairs which was not hard to do. The beds were soft and worn which made for lack of sleep. Other than the bed situation the facility is nice and staff was great.

Very clean cozy and quiet. Close to nice eateries. Parking free and private. Breakfast is nice, you have to walk outside to get to lobby which is fine in nice weather. Didn't open exercise and pool until 8:00am, would have liked to work out before starting my day. King room too small but double queen is fine.

This hotel truly is amazing. The staff go out of their way to make sure you feel as at home as possible during your stay. This has always been, and will always be, my hotel of choice in Fort Collins!!!

Love this little University Inn. Close to CSU and Old Town. Nice staff, good amenities. Not fancy or pretentious but I like that! The fitness center and pool area are lovely. You can rent bikes right there or go for lovely walks through campus or Old Town without having to drive. Love to stay here.

This was a rewards night well spent! Check-in staff was terrific. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The location could not be better, with easy access to restaurants, bars and the university campus.!

The best and only place I stay when I travel to Fort Collins to visit my CSU student. Love the convenience with its close proximity to the campus, the hotel is always clean, the rooms are comfortable, the complimentary breakfast has a great variety, the employees are always friendly and its relatively affordable compared to other hotels in the area.

You could not ask for a nicer location, property or staff. Sarah is fabulous and will help you with any questions you might have. Staff is fantastic. Have yet to meet one that was not delightful. Have been staying here since 1979..

I recently spent five nights at this property which was an absolute pleasure in every respect. I was involved in a conference hosted at Colorado State University. The property was convenient, well-maintained, conveniently located to a selection of restaurants, opportunities, and the University community. I will definitely stay there again on future trips.

Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely use this hotel again. It is really convenient to the CSU campus. I used another hotel a little further away and the staff was not friendly and the security was not there. The maid service left my room open(not sure how long) but management didn't seem to really care. I did not feel this way at all at the University Best Western. I stayed their during the first RAM game and the area was a little hyped up about game but the staff was always making themselves present and making sure everyone was taken care of.

This place is a great value and the location is perfect. It is comfortable and clean. We like grabbing a quick breakfast in the lobby before walking to Old Town to meet friends and family. Bike rentals are also handy!

The hotel was our base for eclipse viewing earlier this week and we enjoyed the walking to find dining and exploring Ft Collins. The only negative was the full parking lot when we returned after the eclipse.

We stayed at BW to give a seminar at their conference room. The room and service was great but this is about an outstanding employee at BW. Kaylana, the front desk employee, checked us in, found our seminar supplies, showed us the conference room and gave us a convenient hotel room all with a great smile and an amazing helpful attitude. Then the next morning as we went to set up before the seminar, she was there again at the front desk, made sure we had all we needed, then set up the coffee and water for the conference attendees. Later I saw her carrying hotel supplies across the parking lot AND helping to clean rooms, again, with a genuine pleasant attitude. If BW doesn't already know it, she is an incredible asset to your hotel. Normally we see 3-4 different people covering her duties at other locations and not usually with the I can do whatever you need attitude. I would hire her in a heartbeat.

We stay here because it's so close to the University and the prices are reasonable and it's a great walking area. We will continue to stay here for the convenience, price and comfort. Thank you Best Western!

The room was clean, bed comfortable, but average room. Room could use refreshing. Poor water pressure in shower, all small hard pillows, noisy air conditioning. Best location for my sons college. I would come back.

Great breakfasts and front desk staff member Sarah couldn't have been more helpful. Beyond that, poor quality towels, no instructions on how TV works, no instructions re where things are (e.g., Laundry, ice, etc.). Shower head can be adjusted if you are 6'5" or so. Down at the heels with price point at a high. Bed - still recovering a day later from some of the worst sleep ever (including what they call pillows).

Very nice comfortable hotel with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Across the street from CSU. Nice bikes to cruise the campus and downtown FOCO. We have stayed in this hotel several times now while visiting our daughter in college. Very conviently located to shopping, good restaurants, green line shuttles/trains and major amenities.

We stayed here for our son's wedding reception along with many family members and friends. ( we used a total of 18 rooms) The breakfast area provided the ideal am gathering place, the breakfast was great and the staff was accommodating. We also used the conference room for a welcome party and it worked out great!

Stayed at the Best Western before starting school at CSU, and it was the perfect place to stay! It's right across the street from campus and just a short walk from Old Town Fort Collins. Staff was very friendly, always went out of their way to help, and had great recommendations for what to do in the area, especially Conor, Sam, and Corey.

After staying downtown at the Armstrong Hotel the previous night, I was looking for a more reasonable hotel rate. This hotel had a super friendly staff. The location is perfect, only a couple blocks from old town. I will now be staying at this hotel when I go visit Fort Collins from now on. Great experience

Very Clean. Comfortable bed. Nice pool and hot tub. Close to downtown and university. Can walk, uber, or drive to downtown depending on your desire. Breakfast buffet in the morning. Built so the rooms are off the major road and it is quieter.

We very much enjoyed staying at the Best Western University Inn. The close proximity to CSU campus and easy walk to downtown area was perfect. Hotel staff, facilities, breakfast was all everything you'd expect from a Best Western and more! This wasn't a five-star resort, but it was exactly what we needed for our conference in town.

quite an expensive week in Fort Collins - Noone was able to say why, however stayed here for location and paid similar to other hotels. Room was the usual hotel room with amenitites. Used the pool which was indoor and a good temperature, clean and hot tub incled. Used laundry which was the largest and nicest laundry room I've seen. Carpark in was plenty, wifi good and breakfast was also provided which included real scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon. An added bonus was the real cofree mugs which the lovely breakfast lady advised we were welcomed to take with us. It was so nice to have a coffee in a real cup instead of paper or polystyrene. Overall a good stay and wouldrecommendthishotel.

The staff was great and always helpful. We also enjoyed the use of the conference room for some unplanned gatherings and the staff were glad to allow us to use it as it was not already booked. In general a great launching place for activities at CSU campus and Old Town via bicycle.

The staff, amenities, full breakfast with awesome steel cut oatmeal made correctly, the pool, fitness center, laundry and location...i.e. walking distance to all that's exciting and wonderful, makes up for the aged property/room product.

Not even the friendly staff, free coffee & WiFi could make up for the musty, dark room with its roaring air conditioner and rotting woodwork in the tiny shower/toilet room. If you don't mind paying $149 a night for just a bed with essentially 35 thread count sheets because you can walk to town in 10-15 minutes, then this is the place for you. Amenities included two bottles of water, one bar of soap, in-shower dispensers of dial soap and shampoos, and two make-up remover pads. The water pressure in said shower was a step above a slow drip. Our room had a fridge and a microwave, but the thought of eating in there would be a good diet plan for me. My mom and sister also made this trip to a family wedding. My sister's room needed to have the toilet plunged. Grossed out yet? Well, on the plus side, the room wasn't dirty and the staff was very nice at the front desk.

We come to Ft Collins every other July for our Cru staff conference. We have been staying at the Best Western University Inn across the street from CSU. This Best Western is a great value. The morning breakfast is above average for an included breakfast. Our group pretty much takes over the hotel for more than a week, but the staff are always incredibly helpful. Marcela did a great job with our room, which was packed with luggage and bikes for three people. We look forward to coming back again in two years.

We stayed at the Best Western because we had a group rate, and it is in a great location to access CSU. It is likely good in the winter, but I would not recommend it for summer if you need air conditioning. The unit in our room was really loud, and affected the ability to sleep well.

We stayed for two nights over July 4. Although it was a holiday, staff was attentive to our needs and our stay was great. We appreciate them going out of their way to serve us--especially on a holiday. I booked this hotel because we were attending a friend's wedding and they had reserved a block of rooms for wedding guests. I'm glad I booked with Best Western University Inn.

Great location across the street from CSU. Older style hotel/motel. Room was quiet, clean. Bathroom sink separate from shower/toilet, which was convenient. There was even a separate sink in the shower/toilet area. Staff was friendly and helpful in both the front desk and breakfast room. Breakfast was more than adequate for us (eggs, potatoes, tortillas, waffles). Rate was reasonable at $135, given the location.

I understand that early check in is subject to room availability so I followed up my initial request with a phone call early on my day of arrival to check in. The front desk person, Corey, assured me that it would be no problem if I checked in anytime between 10 and 12. I made my plans based on this information and arrived at the hotel at around 10:30 and was informed by Brandon that Corey was mistaken and that no rooms were available at that time and I'd have to wait to check in until one was and he didn't know when that would be. I was finally able to check in at around 1 PM after spending 2 1/2 hours wandering around the city. I mentioned to Brandon at check in that I wanted to use my $70 of Best Western $10 per night bonus credit and provided him with the appropriate code. He provided me with a receipt, however on check out 3 days later I was informed by Kevin at the front desk that no such credit was applied to my bill and that Brandon must not have done the paperwork correctly. Eventually Kevin was able to make a readjustment but again I wasted a lot time and had a lot of aggravation because of staff errors. In addition, I was surprised by how dangerously slippery the tub surface in my room was. There were no traction anti slip strips and no rubber mat to provide safe footing. I called the front desk that evening and was informed that they'd look for a rubber mat and if they could find one they would deliver it to my room. When I did not receive a bath mat that evening, the next morning I made another request to the person at the front desk and did receive one a half hour later. The initial oversight and delay in fixing this hazardous condition was unacceptable and along with the misinformation and billing mistakes were the reasons for rating this hotel much lower than my ratings of my previous stays at other Best Western hotels. On the positive side, the breakfast lady was very pleasant and helpful.

I got a great deal on the room and saw the great reviews, but was not sure what we'd get for such a low price. The room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, location is convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

Our stay in Colorado was amazing. Fort Collins has an amazing downtown. Beautiful city and super friendly people. Great location across from the university. In a tree and landscaped community, unlike the warehoused, asphalted surround, freeway environment. Walking distance to transit and restaurants. I will stay again.

This hotel was chosen by the bride & groom for all the wedding guest to stay, including the bride & groom. With the help of Conor at the front desk...and other staff members, we were able to surprise the bride & groom for there wedding. We gathered around the fire pit... Had ALL our needs met and got help with odds things that happen on wedding weekends! Great help... Super comfy feeling hotel and professional " family feeling " staff. Thank you again Conor..... They were kind and professional, providing much information about the town. It is close to he town, as well as the university. They welcomed my dog with treats, and let me tell you, my dog was stoked about that. It was great to bring him along to tour colleges. The train can be loud, but I'm a heavy sleeper so I didn't notice it when I was asleep.

Greeted with a smile and had the same experience during the entire stay. Here for the Front Range Football Officials Camp and the Best Western handled us very well. Friendly staff from the front desk, breakfast and housekeeping. Room was well appointed and clean. We were in the annex which is away from the road. Older hotel that has been remodeled. Breakfast had hot and healthy items as my wife and I always go healthy and the hot oatmeal and fruit was great. Right next to CSU and a great place to stay!

The air didn't work at all. The train was beyond loud and the hot tub was broken. So all in all, I sweated, didn't sleep and didn't even get to chill in a hot tub. Not my ideal situation for a business trip.

This is an OK place to stay for a quick visit to Fort Collins. I spent 2 nights and found the staff very accommodating and friendly. I was with several other people and most everyone was satisfied with the property and location. Good value. Cleanliness could be improved in the hallways. Breakfast was ordinary, eggs, bacon, bagels in the lobby. I am not a huge fan of that but it eliminates the cost of full service breakfast if you are on a budget. I had the suite in the back building, nice spacious room. Plenty of 110v power outlets for your phone, tablets and gadgets. For the $ I would consider staying here again for a short business trip.

We had a very nice suite for $139 a night. Two bathrooms and two TV's. Everything was so nice. I wanted to steal the pillows. I slept so well. The grounds are clean with a fire pit outside that was so fun in the evening. We met other guests and had some laughs. I'f I'm ever back in Fort Collins, I will stay here for sure.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. But...This is a motel not a hotel. I'm used to staying in BW Plus and this did not compare. Rooms are showing their age and have a few updated features, but they should be seriously remodeled. The main advantage is that CSU is right across College Ave. from this hotel. The part of the hotel in which I stayed was the second floor of rooms closest to College Ave. I cannot speak to the rest of the rooms. There was no way for handicapped people to access the second floor rooms. No elevator or ramps. Room rate change because of graduation was excessive.

The Best Western University has the best location in Fort Collins! It is located across the street from Colorado State, on a major street but part of a nice residential neighborhood a short walk from downtown. Though they have convenient free parking, no car is needed. While the the rooms are not luxurious, they are very comfortable (especially in the East Building) and come with a refrigerator, a microwave, a safe, and two complementary bottles of water. The breakfast area was smaller than I expected, but seating was always available and it was kept very clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good with decent variety considering the small space. I saw coffee and fruit out in the lobby even at non-breakfast hours. The staff was very friendly and pricing was fair. If I am ever fortunate enough to have the opportunity to return to Fort Collins, I would definitely stay here again!

Front desk folks were great, breakfast was great, great service, great location, would stay there again. Didn't use the pool but it looked cool. Very central low traffic area good parking had rental bikes which looked like fun if it weren't for the 6 " of May snow. Cheers, Dan

older hotel but well cared for...no problems and breakfast was great...queen beds in the rooms would have made it more comfortable when traveling with kids...the pool area is very large and very sunny....looks well cared for also.

Noise largest negative factor but staff was amazing!We were thankful for the girl working in the evening! She helped us so much to get comfortable and even to understand our surroundings for the next day.

We went out to watch our kids run the Colorado Marathon, and the hotel is in close proximity to old town Ft. Collins, close to the race finish, shopping, restaurants, etc. Great food, friendly service, and wonderful shopping! The rooms at the hotel were neat and clean, friendly staff, and wonderful location! Definitely would stay there again! Thank you!

In a recent stay, the toilet in our room backed up. The hotel staff quickly made amends by giving us another room and discounting our room rate. There was no argument, just apologies from the staff for our inconvenience. Terrific work!

The location was nice with easy walking distance of nice restaurants and a quick drive to the University. The room felt a bit old, but was comfortable. We had two large dogs and the room was a little tight, but overall a decent place to stay.

The coffee was not the typical weak thin brew. It was very good at all times of the day. The breakfast was the best I have had in motels in the many states I have visited. It was better than many chain restaurants.

I have stayed here years ago. Looks like they ugraded. Front desk people were nice. Clean, safe neighborhood. Easy walk to restaurants. The only thing I'd suggest is getting a second floor room. The people above can be heard trapsing across the floors.

This is a clean and comfortable place to stay. It is located near old town Fort Collins and CSU. Helpful and courteous staff. Breakfast is just OK, but that is typical of a hotel in this price range. Have stayed here many times, and will again.

The staff is amazing and the location is hard to beat. They have bike rentals at the hotels that are 15.00 a day (only can ride during the day, no light) . rooms were nice but staff made this stay. This hotel is right across from CSU and close to the downtown area.

My first trip to Fort Collins, I was very happy with my stay at Best Western. Very convenient and close to everything. I was able to walk every where I needed to go. Will definitely stay with BW Fort Collins again.

Even when it is late at night, the staff is willing to go above and beyond in helping and being pleasant. No task is too small when asking for help. In particular, Conor who was working one of the nights we were there, was extremely helpful so we could be prepared for a presentation the next day.

Bad sign: earplugs provided in every room. FoCo is not a loud place-it is just that this hotel was so cheaply built that with the window barely cracked open, on the top floor, every word of passing conversation much less ordinary traffic noise is clearly heard in bed. Our neighbor in the next room had no privacy--speaking in normal voices we heard every comment. Same with folks talking in the hallway when they arrived at 1 am. Not their fault. Asking about it at the desk the receptionist said the walls are paper thin; use the earplugs.

We visited Ft. Collins for our son just before his birthday! it was the march 24-26, and we had an absolute blast in Ft. Collins! Also we loved the hotel staff, they were all very happy and helpful! Connor checked us in, and he went above and beyond to accomodate us! Also the rest of the staff were great as well! Millie and Elizabeth did a great job on our rooms too! Also Karina, Heidi, Ellen, Amelia, Sarah are great upper management. And Gayle and Victoria worked extremely hard in the kitchen! And even the maintenance workers were friendly, Josh and Jesse! We definitely loved the hotel, and we are already planning our next trip back!

This hotel is a good value for those seeking inexpensive lodging near CSU. The staff was friendly. The breakfast bar had lots of choices, including a breakfast burrito option. I didn't care for the coffee but there is an Aloha coffee shop next door. The in-room wifi was inconsistent. Probably not good for watching a movie or doing a lot of work.

Conveniently located right across the street from CSU and within walking to Old Town in Fort Collins. Friendly staff and clean rooms. This is the best hotel with the best value and location to stay at when you are visiting CSU.

We stayed at this motel on March 3rd & 6th on our way to & from the DIA. Sarah was wonderful in making sure that my car was safe & sound while we went to the airport & came back on the 6th. She was a gem in helping us. Conner checked us in & was so nice & friendly & made sure we had everything good to go on the 3rd . We came back late on the 6th and between Connar, Corrina, Millie, Sarah, & Ramario, we had had a wonderful time. Ramario made sure the breakfast was good & hot and delicious. Corrina & Millie were the best & treated us old ladies so well!! Will stay again for sure. We slept good, ate good, & had a great time.

Great for CSU visit. It's right across the street! & exploring Old Town Fort Collins was also within walking distance. The mall & Cinemax a few mikes down the road. The staff was awesome! Friendly & caring. Definitely will stay here again.

When things aren't like you expect it is easy to get frustrated while traveling. This hotel is pretty average but the service was Superior. The manager took our frustrating situation and turned it around. I will definitely give this hotel another try because of the amazing service. Also, the best breakfast at any Best Western I have ever been to.

The staff is very nice and friendly! We arrived very early and very tired from our flight, so they allowed us to relax in the lobby while we waited for the first room to become available. The room was very clean. The only "complaint" would be the pillows, too fluffy and lumpy, not good for someone with neck pain. But overall, a good place to stay, and we would stay here again.

We have stayed at this motel several times in the past two years. It has always been a very good experience. The staff is always helpful and very accommodating. We stay here because they are pet friendly but even if we did not have our dog with us we would probably stay here.

We stayed here while visiting the Vet Hospital. Our stay was very cozy, room was quaint and clean and pet friendly of course! Continental breakfast was very good and convenient! The University was actually right across the street, so we took several strolls through the campus during our stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone with a pet or visiting the university.

We lived in BW University Inn for about 6 days. And we were so happy to be stay here the whole week. They have a good location and excellent environment. The breakfast here taste really well and the staffs are kind and nice. We will choose here again if we come to Fort Collins again.

Best parts about this hotel are the great location, both for CSU and Old Town. It is literally across the street from CSU, and about 6 blocks from Old Town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, great breakfast in the morning, nicely maintained pool and hot tub.

We stayed with a group for a family wedding and the location was great, easy walk to downtown. In the front section the upstairs rooms were a bit nicer but for the price and location, would recommend the hotel for sure. The breakfast was better than I anticipated and the staff went out of their way to help in anyway.

You can go up a bit, and you can go down, but this place is the best. Walkable, service excellent, higher end amenities than I would have expected. Gym, Pool, moderately ambitious breakfast. Great value...but more.

We were happy with our stay here while visiting our son who goes to CSU. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was well above average for this type of continental style (the eggs had a good seasoning, the OJ was very cold, etc.). The room was clean, the location is perfect if you have a student at the school.

Whenever I am in Fort Collins, and have to spend the night, this hotel has always been my first choice. Their rooms are clean, the personnel is extremely nice and helpful, and most important, their breakfast items are delicious. One thing I only discovered recently is that if you are a university personnel and you have your ID, or if you work for a government agency, they will give you a discount. This is yet another for me to always go best Western!

I was visiting relatives and needed to be reasonably near my cousin's apartment. I have stayed at this Inn several times on my visits to Ft. Collins. It across the street from the University which is a pleasant place to walk. The nearby Poudre River canyon is nearby as is the charming little town to the south, Loveland, with its statue park. The motel is very friendly and accommodating and I was able to get a ground floor room which is helpful with my bad back. The breakfast was very good and the place is quiet, making for a good night's sleep.

My son attends CSU and I have stayed at this Best Western many times and always have had a great experience. Friendly staff, upkeep of the rooms and amenities great. Use the pool, hot tub and laundry facilities. Very good choices for the free brekafast, both hot and cold.

This was a perfect hotel to stay at while visiting CSU and the Fort Collins area. we were a little hesitant picking a hotel in the area because it was such a small town and we weren't looking to spend a fortune. but this was well worth the money! the pool was amazing with the atrium style glass and our room was cozy and the bathroom was very nice. everything was clean and smelled good which is really important. not one time did i walk into the lobby and not receive a welcoming greeting from a staff member. the breakfast was hot and so good and the lobby was a great place to relax. Heidi and Brett checked us in and were probably the nicest people i have met in my entire life. they gave us a map and suggested places to visit and places to go for dinner and raved about Fort Collins. we definitely will return to this one!

Very helpful staff. Coner assisted at check in, was very cheerful and ready with great restaurant suggestions. I opted for cafe vino, great choice for party of one, check it out. The heat and air are operated by separate units. Heater was a little stifling or chilly, tough to find a comfortable sleeping temp. Furnishings seem pretty recently updated, but it is very obvious that the place has been there awhile. Still... BEST place to stay if you enjoy walking or busing the downtown area.

This Best Western is uniquely located, especially if you are visiting or have to work at Colorado State University, but also if you feel like avoiding to use your car to look for a restaurant in downtown Fort Collins. It is kind of pricy for what it offers, but the employees at the front desk are very kind and ready to find solutions to your requests.They were even able to get me a free ride to the closest mall!

I was very satisfied with the hotel itself. It's not a luxurious or fancy building but it's super affordable and the staff was terrific. I only gave them a five because they placed me in a room that was pet and smoke friendly. I am highly allergic to pets. When I entered the room I smelled a weird scent. I couldn't tell what it was but I felt perhaps it was in my head. The next morning, after a sleepless night as a result of my breathing problems, I told the staff if they could check out the smell and it turned out it was (like I mentioned) pet friendly. Well I was really angry. But they game me a new room, granted me a free bike rental, and refunded me $25.00 of my room fee. The difference in smell, atmosphere and air quality was 100% improved. In the end they came through. I just wished they would have made the pet room issue clear in the first place.

Loved the area. Very close to old town and lots of stores and restaurants. I read reviews about noise level, but we did not hear anything disturbing as previous reviews had mentioned. Very close to the University and there is lots to do in the area. We loved the indoor pool and spa. Breakfast was perfect for us with lots to choose from. Overall, our two night stay was excellent. Only complaint... parking is a little tight.

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Our room appeared to be recently remodeled. There was an outdoor fire pit that we didn't have time to use. Bike rental available. Walked to Old Town & felt safe

My son and I were visiting from California to tour Colorado State University campus. Hotel was very conveniently located to both college and downtown restaurants, etc. The staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and fun...overall great experience!

The hotel is probably in the best location in Fort Collins - close to the CSU campus and within walking distance of the historic Old Town with all its fantastic restaurants and coffee shops. The facilities were recently upgraded and the service is excellent. The best breakfast for a hotel in this category.

The personnel at hotel are friendly and helpful. The housekeeping was very good. The front desk were knowledgeable and helpful. The pool and exercise equipment were well maintained. Parking was secure. The hotel is near all activities in Fort Collins (across the street from Colorado State University). The breakfast was very good (hot and cold).

I have stayed here three times in the past two years and it has been very good in most ways. The location is terrific, the staff are very courteous and helpful and the hotel offers good value for the dollar. However, the breakfasts are the same every day and very plain and unexciting, especially if you stay for multiple nights. Also, despite advertised as a smoke-free property, smokers locate themselves at doorways around the property and it's very difficult to avoid a wall of smoke entering and exiting buildings.

Over the last 40 years I have overlooked many areas that area lacking , I draw the line when management fails so greatly that the guest and the hotel are forever damaged ! Food handles handle trash , then food without any hand washing !! The GM does not have a grasp of customer service !!

I have stayed at the hotel a handful of times over the past 2 years.. It is ALWAYS a pleasure to stay here! The staff is amazing and the hotel is always in great shape. Location was great. Close to CSU campus and old town. Staff was very courteous and helpful.Bed was comfortable. It was quiet, despite it being close to the street, so you could sleep. The rooms were clean. it was a good experience and I will return.

The road construction on College Ave is a pain -- making it hard to even access the facility. The roofing and other improvement underway were also something of a distraction. Nevertheless clean, comfortable, with good wifi and a pleasant staff.

I recently stayed at the University Best Western and was pleasantly surprised. I arrived very late after a long flight into Denver. Zack at the front desk was extremely helpful and personable. When I attended Colorado state my family would stay here when visiting and I am happy to say the quality of service is still top notch. Thank you!

My wife and I have always stayed here when we have to spend the night in Fort Collins. The staff there is very friendly and their breakfast items are great. The location of this hotel is great. It is at a walking distance from old town and many restaurants.

Well here i am giving a Best Western 5 Stars. We stayed here for a week to attend a conference at the University right across the road.What makes the Best Western University Inn stand out is the wonderful staff. Adam, Sarah, Heidi, Jesse, Ramiro, Myrna and other staff all went the extra mile for us, whether showing us different rooms at our request, adjusting my bike, helping with luggage, answering questions or bringing something up to our room. Yes, it's still a budget hotel so do not expect luxury; rooms are tasteful but basic. But there were many "extras." Amenities included a generous breakfast, coffee in the lobby, nice indoor pool with hot tub, small gym, guest laundry, microwave and fridge in the room, and even a cute mosaic in the shower. There is also a fire pit that was under renovation during our visit, nice landscaping, and some outdoor art. I really enjoyed renting one of their cruiser bikes that was very convenient and fun for getting around on campus or in the neighborhood (they gave me a discount for renting it all week, and helmet was included). Ft. Collins is very bike-friendly. I rode to nearby scenic Lee Martinez Park and enjoyed the bike trails and creek views. Ubers are also readily available.

We were very pleased with location and room size. The room was very clean except for the carpet. Going barefoot made our feet black! Management was kind and thanked us for the info. The staff is most cordial. Breakfast was good, better than most. Super location even with street construction.

This is a very nice Best Western with friendly and helpful staff. However, due to the road construction on College and the refurbishment going on at the hotel, parking is a nightmare. Also, not all of the rooms have been refurbed. It is best to wait until the construction is complete.

This hotel is in the process of renovation, but we still enjoyed our stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly, it has a nice place to do some laundry, and they even have bikes to rent for exploring the beautiful trails throughout the city. It is right across the street from the University of Colorado, so we rode bikes all across the beautiful campus. Adam was especially helpful getting us a room at the last minute. We'll stay here again on our next visit.

This hotel is in bad shape and under construction. The parking is too crowded and inadequate. Rooms have old, dirty, damp carpets. Beds have old mattresses and sheets/covers are clammy because of poor a/c. The title of this review says it all. Staff were friendly and one was really helpful, but that can't make up for a facility that is as bad as this onel

Over the past few years, we have stayed at this Inn about 8 times. Great location to the campus of CSU and walking distance to town. The only negative is College Avenue always appears to be in a construction mode, either one entrance is blocked or another, but BW can't control that.

OK, so I've stayed at the BW University before and always found the service to be excellent and personal. While visiting Thanksgiving 2015, I asked the concierge if there were a particular type of yogurt available; it wasn't but he was johnny on the spot with it the next day. My latest great experience with BW University was being helped out by Adam, who very graciously made my reservation and was able to work within the dates I would be staying as well as my budget. Kudos to Adam and THANK YOU! I highly recommend this location for your stay in Ft. Collins, it's close (within walking distance) to the Old Town area and they have bikes for their patrons to use. Have fun in Ft. Collins, CO, check in with Adam and take advantage of those bikes!!

Friendly, convenient, and not intolerable. The carpet and mattresses badly need replacement. Not even up to Super8 standards in this regard. Breakfast was ok and staff are really nice. Less than a mile from downtown and across the street from the university.

The Best Western University Inn is the place to stay for students, visiting faculty, and parents. The staff is so friendly. Amelia is a leader in taking care of client's needs. "It's all about the students", she has said. She also practices this every day. The pool and hot tub are fantastic. It is pretty good place. Room is excellent and clean. nice staff. breakfast didn't have many options to chose from but it was good enough for satisfaction. It is a good place to chill. Rooms are outside and easy parking in front of your room.

We visited this hotel on a trip to the university veterinary teaching hospital. Upon arriving the gentleman at the front desk was able to switch our room to a pet friendly room with no problems. He also assisted us when we realized we had forgotten to stop and grab some milk for our toddler. The room was decent quality, nothing fancy just a standard budget quality room. I did appreciate that ear plugs were provided in the night stand drawers, I am an incredibly light sleeper and could hear the child in the room next to us crying as well as a train whistle numerous times throughout the evening before putting the plugs in. We stopped into the lobby for breakfast and it was fantastic, my kids loved the waffle station as well as the sausage and eggs. I also appreciated the grab and go breakfast option! During our stay we received some difficult news about our dog and had to check out a day early. The young lady at the checkout desk was very accommodating and made sure that we were credited back for the night we were unable to stay. The location of the hotel was easy to access even with the ongoing road construction in front of the university and during the remodel of the hotel. Overall we were pleased with our experience.

First of all no complaints about the service and the typical breakfast. The breakfast room is the tiny lobby though. The carpet was really nasty and I wouldn't take my shoes off. It needs to be replaced. (Rm 302) A road is directly behind our room and the exit door is right in front. Didn't get any sleep all night. Our queen beds were not comfy as advertised. They were broke down and needing replacing also. Other than the gross carpet our room appeared clean. That and the service were the only reason for 2 stars. There is major construction on the outside of this building. One can only hope they'll also do the inside. Someone said the far building was the quietest... Not true! Although the front building seems like it's on an even bigger road. They supplied the room with ear plugs if that tells you anything! It'll be a very long 14 hour drive home to AZ today! ??

We stayed in this hotel last summer and found it to be adequate for our needs. We needed a place to stay in Fort Collins this summer so decided to try the Best Western again. After making reservations, the manager sent an e-mail warning that there would be some minor noise during the day from work being done on the building, which was very thoughtful. When we requested a slight reduction in room rate, she readily agreed, which was also very professional. However, over the 5-day period that we were there, several little things bothered us. First, the breakfast scrambled eggs were served with salt and pepper even though some people (such as my wife) cannot eat salt and dislikes pepper (whatever happened to letting guests add their own seasonings?). Second, the TV reception was terrible; the sound was very low and the screen had lines across it. Third, the internet speed was very slow. On our fourth day there, there was no hot water for showering at 11:30 AM nor at 10 PM; only after calling the front desk at 10:30 PM did we get hot water. Last, I don't know who designs these rooms, but it is very helpful to have towel racks on the bathroom walls to hang towels (there were none).

Stayed one night with my family of four as a stop before going to the Rockies. Loved the location right next to Colorado State campus and close proximity to downtown Fort Collins. Very clean, newly renovated, friendly greeting at desk, big window in our room with nice view, and roomier than usual. Plus, Fort Collins is such a lovely town!

I called to make reservations today for next week and was directed to Adam. He was very courteous, polite, and knowledgeable. He asked questions to get me the best rate which was very acceptable. I would recommend this hotel based on my phone conversation.

Due to severe weather my 3 hr flight turned into a red eye. I arrived a bit earlier than check in but Adam at the front desk did everything to accommodate. He went above and beyond to find me an available room. I will be returning! Well done Best Western!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an incident where a room next to mine had someone yelling and banging on the door to let them in. It went on for sometime. When I called the desk they said they were aware of the problem and working on it.

Reservation clerk Adam was great ! He was helpful with getting 2 rooms close together and double beds. We needed to have a second room for 2 high school friends coming to CSU for a Track and Field event at CSU, then a room for the parents that was close. Adam was courteous, helpful, and very pleasant on the phone. The rate was great and competitive in the area for a highly recommended motel in Fort Collins. I used to live in Fort Collins and travel there at least two or three times a year. BWUI is always my first choice! Everyone is super helpful and accommodating, I should know all their names by now but I can say that Adam always works to get me the best possible rate! The rooms are tasteful and clean. Last time I used the pool for the first time during blizzard-- that was neat! Best of all it's walking distance from Old Town so you can enjoy an evening out without having to fight for a cab or risk driving.

Have traveled to Fort Collins on numerous occasions for doctor appointments, had stayed at a couple of other motels over the years. Once we stayed at the Best Western University Inn, we have not stayed anywhere else. Clean rooms, good continental breakfast. and very friendly, accommodating staff!! Adam was especially helpful, and made making a reservation very pleasant!!!

The hotel isn't "bad" but maybe it was just bad timing. The outside of the building and surrounding streets were being renovated. The carpet in our room was very dirty. We did inform the staff upon check-out and hope it will be cleaned before the next guests check in. Breakfast was good with many options. The fitness center was just enough as long as many people don't want to use it at the same time. Staff was friendly.

This hotel is located in a prime spot for visiting Fort Collins and CSU. Many wonderful restaurants and shops are close by, and CSU is just across the street. The room was good, the pool nice and breakfast hearty, but the best part was the attitude and extreme helpfulness of the staff. We had everything we needed.

Everything about our stay was great. The room was awesome. The front desk staff was welcoming of our dogs. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. The pool was fun and in a good location. We would definitely return.

Our two night stay in Fort Collins was very comfortable. Clean rooms and friendly staff! Jonathan at the front desk was very helpfully when I went to the lobby to use the computer and printer. Construction was being done on the exterior of the hotel but it did not disturb us at all.

Unfortunately there's a lot of construction happening around the hotel so it's tough getting there. We were given the pool room which if you can get it you should. It's a huge room. There was even a walk in closet! The pool is right next door so yes the room smells like chlorine but overall nice large room. Morning breakfast had good selection of waffles, eggs, sausages and yogurts. Had to take away a star because they were supposed to call when our room was ready but never did.

The courteous, helpful staff really made my stay comfortable. Any problems I encountered (slow internet) was managed with patient know how. In addition, they dealt calmly and professionally with an unruly group of a loud and belligerent traveling softball team and their parents.

When I need to spend the night at Fort Collins, I never think twice before booking a room at this hotel. The staff is very caring and professional. Most important, the general manager. Karina Vick is a great person. If you have any issues ( booking. etc), she will take care of you in less than one minute. Will always recommend this hotel

Very clean, friendly staff, and CSU campus is across the street. Nice pool. Close to places to eat. The beds were average to me. We stayed in the interior room section - there is also a motel-type section. There was 1) road construction along the front and 2) some hotel remodeling. However, none of this really took away from the stay. I thought a little pricey but so convenient.

This is a very nicely kept hotel with a unique layout and it is within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and great nightlife hot spots!! The staff went the extra miIe to make sure I had a great experience. I definitely plan to use this property again!!

The facility is under construction so the exterior mess is understandable. Since the street is also under construction, entering and exiting the premises was challenging. There is not enough parking now. Hopefully there will be more available when construction is complete. The hallways smell musty but not the rooms. We saw a very young and rough looking crowd were staying there at same time we did but it was remarkably quiet throughout the night. Breakfast included assorted options and quality of food was surprisingly good. Front desk staff was outstanding even though they appeared very young.

I got to this hotel pretty late at night and didn't get to check out all it had to offer, but my room was extremely comfortable and the location right across the street from the CSU campus was great! The hotel is under construction, which is pretty noisy and would make parking inconvenient (I didn't have a car, but it seemed that the parking lot was pretty impacted by the renovations.) That aside, they had good coffee and a tasty breakfast. Most of all, the front desk staff -- Heidi, James and Abby -- were AMAZING. They were all sweet and helpful and made my trip a lot easier.

This is a cute, comfy hotel in a terrific location across the street from the CSU campus. It's undergoing extensive exterior renovations to the "back" building. The front desk is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Our room needed a rework on the shower head (way too tall and nonadjustable).

Great location, however room quality average and back area under renovation makes it not worth the money. Parking was also an issue, when we got back from dinner there were no empty spaces anywhere at the hotel.

This hotel was dirty, old, and no parking. Yes it looks like they were in the middle of updating the exterior, but what about the rooms? The smell was horrible, no towels, no soap. We had to ask the front desk for these items. The heater in the pool was out, so the water was cold. The staff was not friendly and the breakfast area could you a daily cleaning, especially the waffle maker.

The entire staff was very considerate and helpful during my stay. They went above expectations while I was there. The room was clean and I had no issues while staying there. The location of the hotel was great for me as almost all of the activities I attended (Graduation) were nearby and didn't involve much travel.

The location is perfect for events at Colorado State; it is literally across the street. Service was friendly, and the breakfast was actually quite good. The room was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. The pool was closed for emergency repairs while we were there. The only other issue was that the room was not well sonically insulated, so every do closing near us and people talking outside of the room were annoyingly loud. The wifi was free but very slow.

The room was very clean. The hotel staff, Heidi, James, Victoria, Amelia and Zak were super helpful, courteous and friendly. Saturday evening, after my nephew graduated, James shared graduation cake and cookies with us. The coffee and breakfast was delicious and nutritious!

We are so happy that we found this AWESOME Best Western University INN in Fort Collins, Colorado!! The Staff here is AMAZING!! Sarah at the front desk could not have been nicer and more helpful with local directions, suggestions and information!! Heidi also at the front desk is so upbeat, friendly and more than willing to assist you in any way possible! Olga and Miguel have done a PHENOMENAL job making sure our room was immaculate and comfortable. Holly who also works at the front desk is equally as special in making guests feel more than welcome!

The property is tired. Many rooms have exterior doors and others down long narrow hallways. Room itself was nice but no soap, some lights not working. Exterior is under construction which was a mess to say the least. Staff was OK ... students, so you can only expect so much. Bottom line - decent price for a great location, average quality.

Spent a few days in the Denver area hoping to do a lot of hiking but ended up not being able to do so because of snow/sleet/rain. Decided to stay in Ft Collins for the night, and when we asked at the front desk if a room was available, we received extremely helpful and friendly customer service from the receptionist. She offered us a fantastic room rate based on all the circumstances and was extremely pleasant and helpful. Someone had smoked in the room, even though it was a non-smoking room, but with such great service, it did not matter for one night. Even though the hotel was full, it was fairly quiet. One train came through during the night, which was pretty loud. Beds were pretty darn comfortable. Lots of good choices for breakfast items. Overall great value for the price!

A good value although next time I will be sure to request a non-adjoining room if I don't need one because the walls were thin. Other than that, the location of the hotel was ideal to downtown, restaurants, university and a good value.

Clean and comfortable room, great pool, and wonderful service from the staff when my travel got complicated by a sudden need to spend a day in another city. All the amenities worked, and the staff went out of their way to assist with airline check ins, etc.

I'm not quite sure why all of these people are posting such positive reviews. The rooms are motel style, which means no interior hallways. Which is fine if you don't regard safety as a major concern. Too many college kids throwing parties during my visit. This wouldn't be a problem if the front desk had responded accordingly. The rooms are rather outdated, but I wasn't expecting much as it is a budget level hotel. Thankfully the front desk staff is courteous enough to assist with most issues, just never was able to curb party noise. Still does not help the fact that the hotel it's self is in need of a little TLC. Nice place to stay if your on a budget, need to be close to campus (literally across the street), and don't mind noisy college kids.

Holly was the most friendly and courteous staff member that I have experienced and I have even been to Disney recently. The room had so many amenities than you can imagine. It had a large refrigerator, microwave, full sized iron and board along with a small but powerful hair dryer. The shower even had a full size shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers. Great location. Most comfortable bed.

A very nice, clean, comfortable hotel. Hotel is very well kept up and maintained. Located right next to CSU campus, so very convenient for anyone visiting students or on campus for work purposes. It's also located within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, and shops.

I am a 20 year Hilton Honors member and will exclusively stay at Best Westerns from this day forward. The rooms were bigger, parking was free, the rooms had more amenities and a faster internet. The staff was far more accommodating than Hilton.

I stay at this hotel when I am in Fort Collins for work. Nice location and always available. Breakfast is pretty good and the beds are comfortable. They were doing some updating and construction to the exterior of the hotel but there was no added noise of inconvenience

I rode my harley to fort collins to see the sights. This hotel is close to all the restaurants, nightlife and brew pubs. I did not have a reservation, but the staff was very friendly and check in was very fast. My room was very clean and king bed was comfy. Breakfast was good with all the bases covered. Eggs,sausage,coffee,oj,cereal,fruit,etc. I look forward to staying there again this summer. Mike

If you keep in mind that this is not a five-star hotel, this is a very comfortable, conveniently located base-camp. Great restaurants and entertainment are within walking distance or a short drive and it's directly across the street from the CSU campus (obviously bringing it's own issues). The staff is friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. I loved the availability of bicycles as a means of local transportation. My only suggestion to the management would be to provide some fresh fruit at the breakfast bar.

I look forward to staying at the Best Western University Inn each time that I do. The facilities and the staff are incredible. They take care of my needs. The staff goes over and above to make certain that the guests are comfortable and satisfied. Heidi stands out as an incredible example of a great representative of guest service. I don't feel like a customer when I stay at the Best Western University Inn, I feel like a guest. The staff is so welcoming.

This is a Ram Family partner & the closest hotel to campus. However - it needs some attention. The mattress (King) was basically a large dip; we had to climb out. Nice to have windows that open, but screens would be have been good to have. Also - no towel rack next to the sink - you can drip into the shower area or leave a damp towel on the counter next to the sink. They are undergoing some sort of construction (which they were very clear about up front) but it does greatly limit the available parking. A wash for if the easy access to pick up our son from his dorm on the N side of campus balanced the 'enh' room. Note that the people there were great; they let us check in early so I could deal with a bad sinus headache.

I came to the best western after a horrible day and the amazing young woman at the front desk changed that all with her warm smile and inviting attitude. As someone who travels A LOT it is so refreshing to meet someone who is actually kind! Her name was Holly. So right off the bat I was blown away by their exceptional customer service.Then i even had the pleasure of meeting the nice laundry guy who was just as helpful as Holly! His name was Miguel. And as i was about to leave I ended up locking myself out of my car and yet again another wonderful staff member came too the rescue! The maintenance man josh who then helped me out promptly. After this experience I can Gladly say that the Best Western on college ave had one of the most helpful and friendliest staff that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting!!! ( If this rating would let me put ten I would )

A friend and I are planning on attending CSU this fall and are staying at the Best Western on campus. The staff are amazing and helpful. Holly and Josh were both especially helpful and amazing! The staff at this hotel is above average, they go out of the way to make sure your stay is great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is directly across the street from campus and just down the street from all that is happening, can walk everywhere!

Super cute little hotel right across the street from the University of Colorado. Beautiful views & great location - far enough away but very close to downtown & all the excitement. There was construction going on at the hotel, but when they are done, it'll be even better - adding windows that open in the rooms will be a nice touch. The people working there were so friendly & helpful & the rooms were super clean.

This hotel is perfectly situated across the street from CSU. It is just a couple of minutes from the Oval and was within walking distance from Old Town. Holly at the front desk was extremely helpful, wonderfully accommodating and full of knowledge and recommendations of places we should visit on our trip. We will be back!!

Endless coffee/tea at the lobby. Good breakfast and close to school/downtown. I stayed at the Best Western University Inn on 3 occasions for business. I liked that there was someone at lobby desk around the clock.

Front desk staff was efficient and friendly. We visited on Easter. We were surprised to find Easter eggs scattered around the property when we left the building on Easter morning. We didn't have any children in our group, but it was fun--almost magical--and showed the staff's commitment to guest satisfaction.

Nice, clean room. Great breakfast area. Convenient microwave and refridgerator in my room. I has a situation with a wine bottle that required prompt attention since the contents of such bottle was needed. The corkscrew was stuck in my bottle of wine , so instead of calling the fire dept (jk), I called Holly. Fast forward, we are using our "girl" power (physical and mental) to get into this wine. Holly even called her grandfather for help. How sweet, now I really need a drink, her grandfather must think I am a lush. Always thinking safety first, we attempted to open this bottle. So here is a free DIY for a stuck corkscrew. Hammer scissors past the stuck corkscrew into the cork. No this does not fix it, it actually pushes the corkscrew into the bottle then back into the neck of the bottle where it is lodged again only higher. At this point, I am so deeply over it. Wine or no wine, I am tired. I thank her and head back to my room where my friend opens the bottle in 2 seconds. I am sleep in 10 seconds.

I stayed here with a group of 20 High school students while we were in town for an exchange program. The staff of the hotel, from the front desk to the cleaning team, was wonderful and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The rooms were spotlesss and the breakfast was varied and fresh. It is an easy walk to downtown and the CSU campus. I definately recommend staying here!

Only selfish, inconsiderate, lazy people smoke in a non smoking hotel room. Fortunately, none of the staff at this BW are any of the above. Late arrival, discovered someone smoked in our non smoking room (I am allergic, and it reeked), but the staff graciously and quickly moved us to another room the next night. Fine hotel for the price. Breakfast is adequate, and staff solicitous of likes and dislikes. Great that they use recyclable paper goods. Pool is clean. Dog friendly and very accommodating. Very nice, polite, bubbly staff. Would stay here again.

Like the title says, I'd stay here again. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful; not disingenous or anything. Breakfast was provided and did the job for a business trip. The hotel's location was great--right across from campus, and only a short walk from old town, where plenty of restaurants and shops were located. My only complaint was the WiFi speed. Not once did my connection--for phone or computer--go above 3 of 5 bars. Otherwise I'd stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights to see CSU. The location is really great. Room was fine. Beds fine. Pillows so-so. Bathroom was really small but I liked that the sink was outside. We were in unit 215. The towels were nice. There is a train that goes by but all the hotels around the area hear it. Breakfast was pretty standard. The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast area were all really nice and helpful.

Service was excellent, all of the staff were extremely cordial and helpful. A shot out to Gayle, Heidi and Olga! Thank you for an excellent stay! We were visiting our daughter at CSU and the accommodations were perfect. Breakfast was very well displayed, clean and of high quality!

It is about what you expect from a best western. Fairly clean but it does have a smoking smell even though the entire facility is non smoking. Fortunately that smell was only in the hallways. Not the room. Will stay here again due to proximity to CSU and friendly staff. Be sure to request a room on the east side of renovation. If you are a CSU parent ask for the discount.

Highly recommend staying at this BW! An older hotel that has been updated very well, friendly staff, better than normal hotel breakfast, super friendly staff. Teen boys loved the pool. Easy walk to downtown!

I am so pleased by the customer service that I was offered by Heidi at the Best Western in Fort Collins. I was so frustrated by Priceline's customer service, however, once I was put in contact with Heidi, all my frustrations dissipated. She is so wonderful and understanding! The staff here truly understands customer service, but especially Heidi. It's so refreshing to feel appreciated as a customer, especially when it's a business trip.

We had two rooms here for two nights while visiting CSU and the location was great - walk to everything. Heidi and Corina and someone else at the front desk staff were so warm and helpful that it really made us feel welcome and taken care of. That makes such a difference in how you feel about your hotel IMO. We ended up leaving something in the room and Amelia found it for us and Heidi quickly arrange to have it sent. We stayed in the back building which was nice and quiet, nothing fancy but perfect for our needs and very comfortable. The pool area looked fun with a large indoor pool looking out at College Avenue. I'm so glad we chose this hotel because of the staff and the location.

a couple weeks ago I woke up on the couch to the desk person zach asking me what he could do for me. I don't even remember how I got there I had a lot to drink but he was patient and under standing and told me that the hotel was full cause of groups but even when they didn't have a room he still let me hang out til the cab he called came. I wish I could have stayed but it makes since they could be full since its a good area close to campus and downtown. I looked into the swimming pool and it seemed nice (lots of plants in it. I recently visited on a business trip. The staff was exttemely friendly and helpful, even offering to help with directions and restraunt suggestions around town. I forgot my room key when going out for a run and when I stopped by the desk to get another, they were super friendly and even gave me a bottle of water. The room was nice and clean. As a young woman in my early 30's traveling alone, I felt perfectly safe staying here. Great location. Close to Old Town.

walking home drunk and stopped in to ask for cab ride. used the bathroom and the front desk worker zak was friendly and gave me a cup of coffee while he called the taxi for me. I was treated well even though I wasnt a guest. I'd definitely stay here or recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western and had a great visit! The property has obviously been updated and is beautiful and clean inside and out. We were able to easily walk to the downtown area to enjoy the bars and restaurants and enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and by the fire pits in the back. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, including Heidi, Holly, and Elizabeth, and they even had a welcome packet for our dog with a cookie and a nice little grassy area for him to do his business. We would definitely recommend and will visit again!

I stayed here while visiting CSU. Great location because it allowed me to walk everywhere on campus I needed to go and not worry about parking. Also gave me a good feel about the type of neighborhood CSU is in. Definitely stay here if you are looking at the school. Rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the pillows were not the best and the walls are very thin. It was easy to hear everything from the room next to me. It's a little creepy to wake up at 7 am to the voice of a child when there aren't any staying in your room

i asked the front desk many times to quiet down the party next to my room. all they did was call the room, never even came over to ask or investigate. they offered to move me to a different at 2 in the morning. why would i do that?

People very friendly, clean hotel, next to CSU. Traffic a little loud. Breakfast was good, heated pool, very safe area. Per friendly. I would recommend this hotel as comparable to the others in Ft. Collins at an excellent value.

My 4-night stay here was entirely pleasant and greatly contributed to my mind-set that everything else that was to happen in Ft. Collins would be equally pleasant. There are enough specialized employees that had a pride in their area who were continuously maintaining it to keep it that way. Receptionists were friendly and flexible; Olga kept my room welcoming with every light bulb working, clocks accurately set, and thoroughly clean. Breakfast had a wide variety menu that was replenished frequently until closing. The location was convenient to the many tasks I had to accomplish. Excellent!!

This hotel is situated next to the CSU campus and we were able to walk to the campus each day. It is only a mile or so from Old Town. The hotel staff is great. Good service, great breakfast, and located in a prime area of town. Bad news- no capital investment in this facility for years. You can see daylight streaming in from your door frame. Black mold in the bathrooms. Window in the shower/tub freaked out my 18 year daughter. Beds are old and we did not get the Queen sized beds we requested. The pictures on line indicate the property is in good shape. Not so when you get there. I think the infrastructure is a discredit to your wonderful staff. Please update as I would love to make this the place I stay when visiting my daughter. By the way, the rate was not all that great when considering the condition and safety factors.

This is a great place to stay. Staff is attentive and very friendly. We especially enjoyed Heidi at the front desk, and Ben at the breakfasts. Easy parking, clean and well-equipped rooms, lovely pool and workout areas. Overall, a totally pleasurable experience.

The Best Western in Fort Collins was extremely accommodating. I had a hotel block set up for my husbands 30th birthday party that had several out of town guests, and they did a great job getting s good and affordable pricing, as well as quality service. They were very helpful in coordinating payments, as there were several per room. I would definitely recommend using them if you have a group coming to Fort Collins!

For several years, I have returned to this hotel because of its staff and the location. I have stayed here because of it is closeness to the doctors I see and also have returned for pleasure and business trips. Without fail, the staff here, both permanent and temporary, have been consistently fantastic! They help you enjoy a comfortable stay. The rooms have always been clean, the breakfast more than adequate and the staff is competent and kind. In particular, Ben, Elizabeth, Heidi and Katrina are the kind of people that make this hotel stand out. Count yourself fortunate if you ever find yourself staying at this hotel.

We came to visit at a busy time of year and weren't able to book a room with enough beds online. When we got to town the staff at the front desk were so wonderful and accommodating and they found us the room we needed and even let us check in early. They we're wonderful. I spent two nights at Best Western University Inn, along with many members of my extended family who were in town for a funeral. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to us during a very difficult time. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the fitness and pool facilities were in excellent condition.

I was at Best Wester University Inn while visiting CSU. Excellent overall quality, loved the breakfast, room internet was very fast and everything was clean. This hotel is in front of the Colorado State University, you just have to cross the street, Whole Foods is 15 min walking (that is important for me), downtown around 20 min walking. Plenty of cafes and restaurants on the street.

We stayed here for the location (I had business on campus). The location was across from campus, but also walkable to old town. The hotel itself was really nice--there was a pool and a hot tub, fridge/microwave/iron/hair dryer in the room. The room looked clean and nice. Parking was ample; check in was a breeze....but no maid service. We started getting buried in old wet towels and trash. Would have been nice to have the beds made and get fresh towels.

We had a nice stay here. In walking distance to old town, great pool house, excellent breakfast service, too. Holly who works there was extremely helpful and gave us a great room. Would stay here again for sure.

We needed a room on Friday night to catch a concert in Old Town. This is a great, reasonably priced option in the area. In the summer you cod probably walk to Old Town but we use an uber since it was still winter. The room is exactly what you need, it wasn't noisy at all, and everything was very comfortable. Heidi, who checked us in at the front desk, was amazing. Very welcoming, helpful, and really funny. The continental breakfast was great and there were a lot of choices. The pastries are made by a local Muffin Man, and they were fantastic. Holly, Abby, and Ben also made the stay worthwhile and we appreciate all that they do!

Our first stay at University Inn Fort Collins was excellent. I was here for my doctoral program residency at CSU. Holly provided outstanding service at the front desk and Ben put out a great breakfast. This is an older property that has been updated and the room we stayed in had everything we needed. Clean sheets and bathroom, all amenities needed. Full bath plus extra sink and vanity made it easy for two people to get ready at the same time in the morning. Will definitely be back!

checked in very late, left very early,,,was wonderful to find this comfort and cleanliness at this value in exact location we needed. 2-1/2 bathrooms was nive luxury in that my wife and I were travelling with our 18 year old daughter.

Good value for money. Convenient to CSU and short walk to downtown Old Town. Clean room, decent decor. Basic TV, wifi (speed was good), decent hot breakfast 6-9:30 am (sausage patties, scrambled eggs, hash browns). Rooms divided amongst 3 older separate buildings, so it's an odd set up but blends well with the neighborhood (almost too well because it's not easy to spot). Downsides were: 1) the night clerk when I checked in forgot to give me the building access card (separate from room key) or even mention this was needed to get into the building and 2) walls are paper thin (fortunately the people around me were not partiers). However, most of the staff were on the ball and very helpful.

I stayed at this again again because I stayed there two times in 2015 when I had surgery on my eyes. They offer hospital rates for out of states people who come and have surgery in Fort Collins. I stayed there this time because my wife was having a surgery and I did not think twice before booking there. Even the employee remembered me from last year, which made me happy. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. They have great staff and the rooms were clean. no disturbances at night

This New Years Eve, my girl and I decided to hit Old Town with both of our parents. Needing 3 rooms last minute to avoid the risk of a dumb decision and a DUI, I crossed my fingers and reached out to University Inn.... I was surprised when I not only was able to get 3 rooms, but 3 rooms on new years eve for LESS THAN the WWW advertised rate! Although the hotel is a bit outdated, the staff and cleanliness was second to none!! This was our 3rd stay for the year there, we have watched as they worked over the year to enhance the guests stay experience and I think they are finally there! What a great group of people in a great Northern Colorado town! Thanks to the WHOLE staff at BWI University!! You guys help make our new year kick off fantastic! See you guys soon!! Directly across the street from Colorado State University and on the border of Old Town Fort Collins, the Best Western University is in a great location for prospective CSU students and parents, tourists, and business travelers who have time to explore downtown Fort Collins. We stayed seven nights during the Christmas holiday. Several issues arise during our stay which were promptly resolved. Issues included: 1) clerk would not allow a 1 pm early check-in although it was obvious the cleaning staff had cleaned some of the rooms. After driving for it two days, a check in two hours prior to the normal 3pm would have been lovely. Unresolved. 2) a sign at the front desk on 12/23/15 stated there would be no housekeeping on 12/24 or 12/25. When my husband questioned this, the clerk stayed "we pay our cleaning staff $5.00/room and we r going to give them two days off." What is perplexing about this directive us that it is so different from what we experienced at the Fort Collins Homewood Suites last Thanksgiving. Then, a note was left in our room the day prior alerting all guests that housekeeping would be available up to noon on Thanksgiving Day. This, so the staff could spend 1/2 of the holiday with their families. Guests were offered the choice of either no housekeeping on Thanksgving Day or of having cleaning for be prior to noon. We choose the latter. In contrast, our experience at BW University offered no alternative. At least not until the mandate was questioned. Heidi offered to come in to n 12/24 and clean our room. We deferred 12/25 cleaning and asked for extra towels from the front desk. Partially resolved 3). Ants. On day four of our stay and likely due to the severely cold temperatures (2 to 12 degrees in the morning), we were overcome by ants in the shower and bathroom. Maintenance came promptly and sprayed after housekeeping cleaned. Resolved. 4). Breakfast. Was generally quite good. Would Recommend adding bottled or pitchers of ice water and hot chocolate to the drink offerings. Not everyone is a fan of coffee, milk, or juice with breakfast. Suggestion. 5). Lobby bathroom. Lights on 12/30/15 were not working at all. Clerk notified and issue resolved promptly. Resolved. 6). Ice and snow. Whike the front parking lot and sidewalks were salted, it would be better to also have the back parking lot cleared during weather that includes ice and snow. Unresolved. 7). Security. Although provided a 2nd proxy card to get into the door for the 300-400 rooms, this door was often found to be unlocked during our 7-day stay. For the security of all guests, it would be optimal to keep all doors (except the lobby) licked and secure at all times. Unresolved suggestion. Overall, a good stay at BW-University that could have been great absent of the aforemwntioned.

VERY pleasant front desk folks. Price is very reasonable. Clean, roomy, close to campus, breakfast was nice. Only down side is we could hear conversation of people in next room -- happily they went to bed at a reasonable hour.

Stayed here due to the cheap price and location to downtown strip. Uber was only $5 to get where we wanted and we ended up walking back because it was so close (we were the tourists) Hotel was very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and fresh.

The last two times I have stayed at this hotel there were loud construction crews, apparently working at and staying at this hotel. They were loud and boisterous after normal work hours. They were hanging out on balconies, drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, and throwing pistachio nuts shell on the common sidewalk.

Let's start this one by saying this is an awesome hotel, a little unconventional but a great place. It started out a little rough they had just got new door locks and my key wouldn't work but Holly and Jess went out of their way to to make sure that everything worked got my door fixed, and that I was taken care of. The staff here is awesome the room was clean and awesome! I would recommend a stay here to all my friends.

My family got a chance to stay at this great hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday. The staff was sweet and accommodating and they were able to get us two adjoining rooms. My girls had a ball in their own hotel room! The next day, with snow everywhere, we got to relax in the sunny warm pool area. The roof lets in soo much sunshine. It was like therapy!! The other nice thing about this hotel is the location. We were super close to old town and hardly had to drive in order to have about 100 restaurants to choose from!! The rooms are clean and cute and we had an overall great stay! Also, there is a hawaiian restaurant next door that roasts their own coffee! We are definitely going to be staying at this great place for our next holiday too!

My stay at the Best Western was pleasant with no real complaints (although the back building does feel a bit like a dorm). Nothing exceptional just reliable service and a problem free room and stay. The Best Western is conveniently located for access to the University campus and is walking distance to Old Town (good for finding restaurants at night). I'd certainly stay here again as service and amenities were within reason of the price paid.

We stayed here when we spent Thanksgiving with family that live in Fort Collins. All of the staff, both front desk and housekeeping were friendly, professional and went out of their way to make sure our stay was more than satisfactory.

This lovely hotel, directly across from the CSU campus, was the most delightful surprise I could imagine! Staying for three nights over the Thanksgiving holiday, I could not have been more pleased! When I made my reservation, Heidi was very congenial and understanding of my concerns as a woman traveling alone. She gave me a beautiful room (loft and lovely interior design) near the lobby. The housekeeping staff was exceptional also, respecting my privacy and yet making sure I had everything I needed. The price was an absolute steal, especially since it was over the holiday. I would HIGHLY recommend this treasure, in the center of Fort Collins, to anyone and everyone (and I have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world!)!

The location is the number 1 reason why we stayed at this hotel. My parents have stayed here before, so I knew what to expect with the outdated rooms. The staff is friendly, so that is a plus too. For staying a night or two, the outdated rooms are acceptable--there is hot water and clean rooms, so that is all you need when you are only sleeping there.

My co-worker and I were in Fort Collins for a residency at CSU. We could not have been happier with our stay. The employees in particular were terrific! We were in our room at odd hours,but they were always able to get our room service done quickly. Both Holly and Ben were two employees who went above and beyond! Holly helped us look for restaurants that were open late and always had a fresh pot of coffee ready for us.... we're coffee addicts so we were in the lobby often. Ben was extremely welcoming at breakfast with a smile, restocking the assortment of breakfast goodies they had available. We hope we can visit again soon. The hotel was conveniently close to the university but also not too far from downtown and some restaurants.

Stayed at this motel for conference at CSU. Great location within walking distance to campus and restaurants downtown. This is a motel so all doors to rooms are outside. Rooms have been updated and were clean. You can hear the trains come through at night so if you are a light sleeper you may want to use the provided ear plugs but for train buffs it was soothing. Would definitely choose again.

We stayed here to visit our daughter at CSU. The pillows were the most uncomfortable we have ever had !! We all had neck aches the next day ! The blankets were like sheets so really there weren't blankets. The temperatures got down to 40! The employees were very very nice but ...

The location of this BW is central to the fun & action in Fort Collins. It is an easy walk to the restaurants, breweries and shops. Chris was especially helpful ensuring our reservation at the other BW was cancelled appropriately so we could secure a room at the University Inn. When inquiring about transportation to a planned-ahead brewery tour, Amelia suggested the hotel shuttle. Our shuttle driver was very helpful and informative, offering to show us locations of other attractions and making helpful suggestions for additional night life adventures. Dining area was cozy and had a friendly atmosphere. Would stay here again, when in the area.

Chris was so helpful in giving us accommodations for my Mom's limitations. He also helped us with a discount at IHOP and several other items we needed for our stay. He is pleasant and very interested in helping the customers enjoy their stay. It's what we needed after the kind of day we had up until then

Older property that has been freshened up. This is a 'drive up style motor inn' with no interior corridor if that matters to you. In the winter, it might. The property was clean and sleep quality was good. The staff was great and breakfast was adequate. The location overcomes some of the cons as it is across the street from CSU and close enough to downtown to walk to eateries. I'll use this property again if duty calls.

The place is just a little bit shabby. Tile in the bathroom was damaged. Landscaping in parking lot needs some work. Also, there was no grab-bar in the shower, which is a problem for us octogenarians.

I was working outside of Greeley and met my wife in Fort Collins to get away for a day or two. The only room left when I made a reservation was a suite. The suite was extremely roomy and in a quieter corner of he hotel (it is on a main road). The room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. It should also be said that I am a tall guy (6'3), and the shower head in the bathroom was actually tall enough that I didn't have to duck to get my hair wet which is a huge plus! We also ended up walking the campus which was nice, especially their garden. All in all we would stay here again.

This is a throw back building that has been updated very well and the hotel offers service like one never finds anymore. In other words VERY customer service oriented and responsive to ALL needs of the guests. The location of this hotel is ideal if one is visiting a CU student. Our dog was treated better here than some hotels treat their customers!!! Highly recommended.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom needed a towel bar by the sink. Staff members Chris, Holly and Becky were very friendly and helpful. I rented a bicycle from the Fort Collins Bike Library on site for about $10. I was impressed that steel cut oatmeal was available for breakfast along with fresh fruit! Junk food was also available. I will definitely stay at this Inn in the future. :)

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff, walking distance to Downtown Fort Collins. Has a pool, although it was under service when I stayed there. Breakfast was great and even though I'm sure there were a lot of people who ate it, still offered everything and wasn't a complete mess, which is an accomplishment!

Located near CSU, this is the perfect place to stay if you want to walk to Old Town . Rooms are clean and comfort,but a little small. Refrigerator and microwave for n room. Nice shower. I liked having the safe in our room. Nice hot breakfast in the lobby. Front desk woman was extremely friendly and heslpful.

We have a daughter who attends CSU each and every time we stay @ the University Inn we feel as if we are coming home. Granted there are more plush, larger hotels in Fort Collins yet, we appreciate the intimate ,friendly atmosphere - where we are remembered/greeted each time we enter the lobby. I would just like to say that I very much enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. Holly, the front desk person, made me feel welcomed right away, and after a long day of traveling, it was nice to see a friendly face help me get settled in. Thanks again guys, keep up the good work.

This Best Western is the BEST place to stay in Ft. Collins! Not only is the hotel very comfortable, but is well located so you can walk across the street to the CSU campus or walk to Old Town..They also have bikes to borrow if you want to travel that way! Nice fire pits in the back with seating are a wonderful touch for the cool evenings. They have a great indoor pool and hot tub. The work out room is nice too! Their continental breakfast is the best in town.

We stayed here during a visit to the CSU campus with our 17 daughter. I thought the property was very nice and clean. It's not fancy, but the rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable and the place was quiet. However, by far the best part was the people. Rebecca, Ben, Heidi, Colton and Heidi all went out of their way to make us feel at home. Rebecca allowed us to check in early, and Chris went out of his way to talk to my daughter and share his thoughts on Fort Collins as a relatively new transplant. You can tell the management has worked hard to create a nice family-like culture, and if really shows in the way they treat their guests. The location is great. We didn't use our car the whole time, either walked or used Uber to get around. The campus is literally across the street, and Old Town is a five minute walk. I can be a picky traveler, but the hospitality was terrific. If my kid goes to CSU, I'll never stay at another hotel.

Nice hotel to stay at for a night after a tour of the CSU campus. comfortable accommodation. Decent breakfast. facilities were fairly updated and taken care of. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Pool and hot tub were well kept and enjoyable. I would stay here again.

Over all, a quality and friendly place to stay. It felt safe and, though an older establishment, it was well cared for and managed. The staff were more than accommodating and it felt family-like. There were even bikes available to tour the town and makeup remover cloths in the rooms. There were extra touches that meant the management cares about the guests.

The staff was extremely friendly and this was a nice hotel for a one night stay. It was more of a motel style and although it's located on a busy street, it was very quiet. The room was ok, just average but clean and the shower could use some TLC. It was within walking distance to downtown and Old Town Square with restaurants, bars and brewpubs. This hotel is a good recommendation if you are on a tied budget and location is a priority.

I wanted to like this hotel, the location is great and the staff is friendly but it's such an old dog of a hotel. Photos you see are of the lobby which has been rebuilt, rooms have had minor updates. We stayed in the "pet free" part of the hotel so you think if would be nicer, however it was in bad shape. Lobby is nice but the room itself had a worn out carpet, hard bed, and ac wall unit that wouldn't get cold. Made it really hard to sleep. Hotel was very noisy as well, a problem probably made worse by the super thin worn out carpets, double doors that banged on every entry, and doors without closers so people slam their room doors shut. Didnt get cold with the ac on and it was only 70 degrees outside, and couldn't open the windows. I'd hate to see how hot it gets in the summer. If you want to sleep I'd avoid staying here.

This is a huge complex but it seems as though they have no trouble filling it up! Overall a nice place with a great breakfast! Room was clean and noise was almost nonexistent. The carpet looked like it could have used a good cleaning, but otherwise, it was a nice location and close to the university (right across the street). Lighting around the area was good and they also offer a huge pool.

older rooms great breakfast and pool and location bathroom is very small and in poor condition tv had no sound for 2 channels and no repair was made after i complained right downtown and campus edge and parking was easy could walk to many places and restaurants

This hotel is an older style of hotel with open balconies. Many times these type of hotels have seen their days and should be replaced. This hotel is not that way at all. Ownership has taken such pride in maintaining and improving this hotel with all the amenities. I had a very nice stay and would not hesitate to return or recommend it to others.

I had selected this property because it is a convenient stop for our road trip. Most of the rooms have outside corridor, but I was happy to be offered a room in the back building where they did have inside corridors. And although I would usually want a higher level room, I accepted a first floor unit so we would not have to haul our luggage up stairs. The room was quite spacious, but because it is old, there were very few electric outlets. Also, we had to be extra careful when we realized that our room door would not automatically close tight, which could be a real problem if one was not careful. They also have a new big flat screen HDTV, but unfortunately there was no HD programming. The reception was actually so poor that it reminded me of watching television back in the 70's.

The Best Western has a great customer service good breakfast and great rooms expression to the front desk Heidi and Chris if I were to come back I would make sure heidi is working she treated me like a true guess

The toilet appeared to be backed up. I called the front desk asking them to send someone to fix it. They told me they would provide me with a plunger for me to fix it. I did not appreciate this. I indicated that maintaining their property was their responsibility. The key cards for entrance to exterior and internal doors were difficult to operate. The room was fine, clean. The bed was comfortable.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, the pool was cool and the outside fire places were so much fun to sit and chat outside with. The staff was always friendly, especially Holly, who even brought out scones to us at the fireplaces. I've stayed at other hotels in other locations since this stay and have yet to find customer service as outstanding as Holly's and the rest of the staff here.

Heidi and Chris had excellent customer service rooms are excellent breakfast was great gayle was very kind.the landscaping is top notch. Love the location The location is perfect for a night in old town.
