Best Western University Inn & Suites

The title of the reveals it all. The "girl" at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. And Linda in the breakfast room was friendly and made us feel at home. Also, it was great that the hot tub and pool as well as the room were all spotless, with newer furniture. Nice place to stay.

I adored this spot. It was quite a neat find. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and the pool was great! They even had cookies and bottled water set out for the football game goers. Will definitely stay again.

Everything was great upon check in. The front desk lady, I believe her name was Aliyah, was very sweet and kind. I had an issue checking in and she had to call her manager to the front for assistance and I was greeted by the sweetest lady, her name was Robyn. I absolutely adored talking with her, she was very accommodating. They even leave cookies out for everyone coming in. Would definitely stay here again. Rooms were classic looking and clean. The only problem I had really was finding the entrance to the hotel. 20/10 recommendation, stay here!!!

We love to stay at this hotel when we are in town to see our son. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. They are accommodating when we have schedule issues. The rooms are consistently clean and the staff is amazing.

I travelled alone with my infant for the first time and loved staying at this hotel. The room was comfortable and so clean! I requested a quiet area of the hotel since I had a baby and I got exactly what I needed. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They even helped me set up the provided pack-n-play in our room! The complimentary breakfast was the best I've ever had. I'll definitely stay there again when I'm in the area!

BW needs to implement a PM program as the PTAC unit barely kept the room cool enough and we had to leave it running 24/7 which wastes a lot of energy and makes it noisy at night,. The toilet wouldn't flush 75% of the time, so we had to remove the top to touch the unkept and filthy fluidmaster in the tank. Nice to see the laminate peeling off the bathroom door and always nice to see a dirty bathtub base and just unclean condition, so bring your own gloves, sanitizing spray and wipes because you'll probably need them. Batteries were dead in television remote and that's always nice to run into when sitting down to relax with no one down at the counter avaialble to help. The good thing is that the hotel is very convenient if your business is in Forest Grove and the unfortunate thing is that there aren't a lot of other options. The breakfast prep staff are very nice, and the food is above average; nice variety. In summary, after staying at the BW in FG several times in the last 24 months for at least 3-days or longer, my opinion has gone down from very good to good, to average, to poor, which is exteremely sad, as I had hopes that the management would make more of an effort to keep this facility from deteriorating below an average rating. The staff are very nice.

Great stay at a well maintained, slightly dated hotel. A great breakfast after a really comfortable and quiet night sleep. The staff really work to make the stay excellent. The pool is very well maintained and very clean.

Stayed here twice now with my grandsons. Rooms clean, they love the pool and the breakfast. I've always found the staff to be cheerful and helpful. I like being able to access my caffeine fix all day and the grandsons like the juice options.

Be careful when you book. I had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and was told I would be charged for one night only. I was charged $782.34 for the whole amount. Someone at the desk told me they would refund the whole amount due to the mix up. Now they can not even find my reservation. I have stayed there in the past, but do not think I will ever stay there again. Or any Best Western. Their reservation system leaves a lot to be desired. Even after I called several times.

By far, Best Western is the best hotel in Forest Grove. The rooms are clean & the hotel is only a few minutes away from Pacific University. I have stayed here multiple times over the last 6 years. The staff is always friendly & accommodating. Daily breakfasts are always good.

This Best Western was clean and quiet. Staff excellent, Friendly, helpful and professional. Some food and treats available in the evening and a great breakfast. Breakfast area very clean and lots of choices of food.

We've stayed at this hotel several times to visit our son at Pacific University. It's location is perfect and within a few miles of the school. The rooms are always clean, the staff is friendly and the daily breakfasts are a perfect start to the day. One of my favorite features is the 24 hour coffee machine and the fresh baked cookies at the front desk. They also have an indoor pool and laundry machines.

Very nice staff. Kids loved the pool. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Very accommodating. Clean & safe environment. Close to everything, hiking, schools, shopping. Definitely would recommend this location!

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-updated. They had great gluten-free options included with breakfast, which can be hard to find! The best part of my stay was the staff - every person I encountered was an absolute joy and I will definitely stay here again!

I live 30 miles from my place of work. We had very inclement weather…ice. Hotel is close to work and have used it many times for this reason. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. And very quiet.

Great location if you are visiting PACIFIC university, all the service and friendly staff you could need. I will stay there again. I wanted to personally thank the staff and management for allowing me to charge my electric rental car overnight. Thanks again

They have on of the best breakfasts I've had at a hotel in a long time. Hot food and lots of toasted goods, yogurt and cereal. Even options for gluten free and dairy free folks. Plus fruit juices and hot tea and coffee

We were visiting our granddaughter at Pacific University and highly recommend Best Western University!! The location near the campus was convenient and the breakfast and 24 hour self serve beverages was an added plus!

I've just got to say that if you are looking for good customer service, clean, comfortable and welcoming experience, book a room here, Jesse was a gem. Extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We had an extremely late check in. I kept calling to update our location, every time you called I was treated with friendliness, respect and courtesy. Kudos thank you for a wonderful stay!!!!

This was one of only a couple motels within the city so booked it! Very pleased. Granddaughter just started grad school and we surprised her with her older sister, Mom, and grandmother during a break. Will book same hotel when she graduates! Way better than driving from Portland. Fun little town. This hotel is easily found and so central to the school activities and living quarters. Clean. Quiet. Pool and hot tub, sauna, too, open 24 hours. The "kids" and their mom enjoyed those. So welcoming. And they always have cookies!

A bit hidden on the main street. The area a bit rundown and away from Portland and it's mess. The landscaping well done and maintained. Felt safe. The staff seems busy but places the customer first. Everything works. The room was comfortable. The breakfast had waffles, variety of breads, cereals, 2 kinds of eggs, sausage or bacon, potato bites, and biscuits and gravy. Regular or strong coffee, and 4 types of juices. Cookies in the evening. Coffee all day. Room temperature able to be adjusted to customer's desire. Hot tub, pool and I think sauna. I only used the hot tub. We stayed 4 nights. Elevator in the 2 story building. Great for access to the west and southwest destination from Portland especially for the coast or smaller towns south. Tilllamook. McMinnville was a great place to visit historic downtown and the Evergreen Aviation Museum. The hotel was close to a gas station (east of the hotel) that had the better price for gas. And for you Masons: the Grand Lodge is just around the corner, 0.3 miles.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Many choices for breakfast were available and the food area was well stocked and clean The only improvement that I would recommend would be is to use higher quality sheets.

My son and I stayed during a college visit and it was perfect. The room was spacious, updated and well-equipped, the breakfast had good selection and the staff was excellent. Especially with the current labor market, this property deserves big kudos for attracting and retaining great people! All in, we had a great stay and will definitely stay again when we are in town!

I was in town for some work. This motel was very nice and clean. The staff were friendly and courteous. It was hot that day and the room air conditioner was fantastic. It was a quiet area. The breakfast was very good with fresh eggs biscuits, gravy, bacon, waffles, fruit.

Best Western Forest Grove made my family feel so at home as well as spoiled on our recent vacation to NW Oregon. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious and kept well stocked and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Located in a more rural but had the coast, several wineries and breweries and Salem within an hour's drive.

Each staff member was friendly and helpful; our room was clean and comfortable; the shower was strong; the breakfast included a variety of hot and cold, healthy choices; beverages and fruit were available during the day and cookies in the late afternoon; parking was secure and easy. We look forward to our next stay here.

This was the best best western we've stayed in in a while. Staff was friendly, hotel and rooms were clean. Overall very satisfied with this location and service. Only issue was no pool towels but it was understandable as an entire baseball team had just been in there

She made sure all the food was hot, available, presentable. I was absolutely impressed. I approached her and gave her my biggest compliment. I looked at her name tag and memorized it. I do not know Kelly whatsoever. I am giving this review on my own, with no solicitation to make it. I loved my breakfast experience at University Inn and suites! I've already made recommendations for this hotel to many people based on my experience there. Please, if you've never been treated to an amazing hotel breakfast, then try this location. You won't be sorry.

I personally think the price of almost every hotel these days is a little high, but everything here was great. Hot breakfast, super sweet and helpful staff. Wifi works great. Pool and hot tub. Vending machines! Will be staying here again

Clean quiet room. Convenient location to Pacific University. The beds are comfortable, and the shower has good temperature and water pressure. The Wifi was a bit slow. The hot breakfast is below average - it is mostly precooked items that are simply heated.

Wonderful hospitality from staff at this hotel. It was a little hard to find as sign was hard to see from the street, I used Google maps and drove around in circles a few times. But- food was excellent in the morning with the free hot breakfast, Linda who served the food was awesome and the front desk people were super friendly, helpful and handed out free cookies and water! I did not use the pool/hot tub/sauna but they were clean and available. Room was super clean. I would go there again in a minute! Also Fern Hill Wetlands is very close- excellent place if you like to walk in nature, are a bird watcher or want to see Nutria that aren't afraid of humans ( between a beaver and muskrat, invasive species, in the ponds).

I was very impressed with the cleanliness, amenities and the yummy breakfast at this hotel. We were only there 1-night, but we were comfortable and well-taken care of. Next time we'll use the pool and jacuzzi. Highly recommend.

Comfortable, clean, and the breakfast has multiple gluten free options as well and many options for others. Also, there is a 24 hour swimming pool and hot tub, I was in town to visit family and was able to a pool party with all my little nieces and cousins ♥️

We spent 2 days at the Best Western University Inn & Suites while visiting Pacific University with our student. The hotel is easy to find, close to restaurants and a Safeway supermarket. and just a few minutes from the university. The staff was so friendly and courteous-- they greeted us each time we came in and seemed to be genuinely interested in the guests' experience. Breakfast (waffles, oatmeal, cold cereals, breads/bagels, eggs, bacon/sausage, biscuits/gravy, juices, coffee, tea) was well laid out and well supplied each day, and breakfast staff also greeted us each day and were friendly and nice. Our student will be attending the university, and this will be our "home away from home" when we come to visit. Top notch!

Warmly greeted by an exceptional hotel service staff. Room was spacious, tidy and attractive. Really slept well on comfortable beds The hotel is easily located along the town's main thoroughfare. Plenty of parking. Really liked the free breakfast service. The indoor pool was also spacious and inviting.This is definitely the best place to stay when visiting Forest Grove.

I came here with my Christian friend and her dog and my dogs for a mini vacation. It was very nice and comfortable. Have traveled to Arizona, Idaho, Washington and Oregon with my husband and Best Western has always been are “go to” place when we check into a hotel to get rested from our traveling and driving.

I love staying here. The breakfast is awesome, the staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful, and there's a great swimming pool and hot tub. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there's coffee and tea available in the lobby at all hours.

We stayed while going to Northern Wa. We had our dog and the room was perfect. It was clean and comfortable I wound definitely stay here again. They have a free breakfast, and very nice staff. My only issue was that they insisted on seeing my husband's ID upon check in. I made the reservations, but our BW membership is in his name. This was frustrating, and I don't see the point, fortunately we were traveling together, if not I guess I would be charged for a room and have to go somewhere else. They were fine to take my credit card with my name on it. We have rarely had a problem with BW, they are consistently good and clean.

Very clean room, tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed! The warm breakfast and complimentary drinks were a treat! We will definitely stay here again given the opportunity. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was worth the money to stay here. It was close to the places I needed to go. The staff are really friendly every time I stay here and are willing to go above and beyond. It's not a large capacity hotel so they have time to do a little small talk and not brush you off to get to the next customer.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Best Western University Inn & Suites. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was quit and peaceful. The blackout curtains really worked! The bed was comfortable. The breakfast room was fully stocked when we were there.(Sept 2021) Call and check, because due to COVID, food service can change. The breakfast room was nice. Lots of food choices. Hot and cold cereal, yogurt, bagels, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs and sausage, coffee and juices. And of course the waffle maker! I always love making the waffle because I would never do that at home and it comes out perfect every time! They have a large indoor pool and soaking tub. We did not use them but it looked like some people were enjoying it. I recommend you stay at the Best Western University Inn & Suites.

First time staying here in about 3 years and is still a great place to stay and the staff is also fantastic as is to be expected. breakfast was back to the pre virus days when the world was sane. sure hope it does not revert.

Front desk billed me the wrong amount, charged my credit card even though I said I would be paying cash. Expected to leave them a good review with no exceptional or even warm customer service. Very poor compared to Holiday Inn which I stayed at the next night. Would not visit again.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel. It has breakfast from 6-10am included with your room rate and free parking. The in-room coffee is very weak. We had a suite and there is a door between the bedroom and living space. The air conditioners work well, plus they have a fan option that makes some noise to cover traffic and hallway noise without the cold. You can hear everything in the hallway and traffic noise. The staff is friendly. We booked an additional room for our son. They have him the handicap room on the first floor - room 135. It had a bathtub surrounded by a 10-inch stone rim I n the main room and a shower you can wheel into. However, the water must be getting on the rug because it smells very musty. I would not have stayed In the room, my son said he was fine with fans running. Our suite in the second floor was fine. Great location to Pacific U, Walmart, Safeway and more.

Our stay at the Best Western in Forest Grove was amazing! We would like to thank Kelly for starting our day off with a wonderful breakfast experience. She was very attentive and pleasant toward our family.

My kids loved that the pool was open late. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable and the rooms had good size. Its very close to the university which was nice for dorm room check in day. The breakfast was good as well just not lots of choices for Celiacs

We really liked the indoor pool and the refreshment bar that's available 24/7. Computer and printer available. I was able to print out tickets from my phone, first 10 pages are free. We stayed in the two queen beds suites.

Stayed here recently and it was very nice! Everything was clean and it was quiet. Breakfast was great. Only downside was the pool was cold and the hot tub was closed. Side note for constructive criticism, there was only one garbage bin in our suite, in the bathroom, could have used another one somewhere. Other than that, I would stay here again.

This is our second visit to this property. What brought us back (in spite of COVID and related trash) was the location, facilities and staff. The small-ish town of Forest Grove is home to a university, and is a very "friendly" place.

Never staying here, I tried to get my money back after I had cancelled my reservation within minutes of booking the hotel and I was told by the receptionist and supposedly the manager that I didn't call because it was never documented and couldn't get my money back. I was robbed over $200. I asked to speak to a manager and the front desk said they weren't available after the fact she told me she was going to ask her manager about my issue and then stated she could take down my name and number and she could give me a call back and never did.

My husband and I went on a 13 day road trip and stayed in 12 different hotels. This one was by far one of my favorites, mainly because their front desk associate was kind and caring and super polite on the phone. We had been driving for hours and were completely exhausted and he was just so nice on the phone and also in person when we arrived.

I stay at this hotel frequently for business. It is clean, staff is attentive, breakfast is excellent, linens are nice, it is a true jewell to the Best Western brand. The recent addition of an elevator makes it even better.

Very well kept, spacious rooms, coffee, tea and juices available 24 hours in the lobby, friendly service helped having a very pleasant stay at this motel. Large pool and hot tub provide an opportunity to relax. About 1.5 miles away one can walk through the college campus and enjoy eating at nearby restaurants.

e have never spent any time in Lake Forrest and we are glad we did. It gave us the opportunity to stay at this charming Best Western Hotel. The hotel is very attractive and the services were outstanding

First of all let me clear one thing up, they do have a brand new elevator. They didn't have one for years but they did put an elevator in and it is working. This hotel is a great clean nice safe hotel. The family thing that I think could've been better it would've been the bed. I think the bed has quite a few miles on it and it wasn't that comfortable, but other than that everything was perfect and very clean.

Nicest Best Western that we stay at. Service is great and everyone with a smile!! Our room was very clean and everything was in great working order. We use this hotel when we visit family and we will definitely be back again!

Stayed one night only thing wrong was the heater. The heater made a tick tick sound when it was on and we didn't know till 10 at night. So we turned it on warmed up the room and turned it off. Other then that annoyance it was a good little trip.

Great place to stay during COVID.The had regulations in place due to COVID and explained them. The pool was open for reservations only so they could clean after, a hot breakfast was provided with one family at a time to receive the breakfast. Coffee was provided all day which was great. We have stayed at other hotels since COVID and this was the best place we stayed.

My wife and I started her birthday trip with 2 night here to be close to some friends we hadn't seen in a while due to Covid. This property was perfect! Very clean throughout and every exchange we had with the staff was terrific. They were very pleasant and willing to go above and beyond for anything we needed. Will definitely be back!

My wife and I were on a 2 week camping trip throughout Oregon. Because of Covid-19, we were intentionally avoiding hotels. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a campsite on 8/29/2020 so we drove into Forest Grove to stay at the Best Western. It was 10:30PM on a Saturday night so we were cautiously thrilled to reserve their last room. Upon arrival, the front desk staff member had their face cover dangling from one ear and there was a hotel guest walking through the lobby without a face covering. When we checked into the room, I noticed food wrappers on the floor at the front door and crumbs on the carpet throughout the room and around the bed. There were chunks of food and greasy finger prints all over the front of the TV and remote control. The night stand had food debris on the surface and running down the sides. There was also food debris and greasy finger marks smeared all over the headboards. In the morning, I went into the bathroom to shower but there was no shower curtain or liner. Best Western states on their website that their cleaning protocols are enhanced during these times of Covid-19. They also provide a letter in the room with the same message. Unfortunately their attempts at making us feel safe missed the mark completely. I have been a loyal Best Western customer for 10+ years and have never seen a room this unsanitary during all my stays. It was a restless night to say the least and I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I am even questioning whether or not I will be a Best Western customer in the future.

The check-in experience was warm and friendly. The elite status recognition was greatly appreciated and the staff treated me like royalty! The room was very well done with modern furnishings and a very clean appearance. There were great restaurants nearby and I had to make some hard choices, but the Black Dog is worth a visit! I will definitely be staying at this location on my future visits.

We've stayed here for years, and love the place, but wish the morning staff would abide by what Best Western says are its rules and wear masks during the COVID era. It's what we were promised when we booked the trip. Both my wife and I separately complained to them about this personally, but they chose to ignore us. Traveler beware, and please University Inn, put those masks on like you're supposed to!

The room was absolutely disgusting sheets were used from the night before two towels left on the floor. Manager was so rude i will never use this location again. Also will be doing a yelp review i loved staying at Best Western in the past now i don't ever want to stay at another one again.

We love to stay at this Best Western. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast is very enjoyable with personal service. We love that the pool and spa are usually open 24 hours, however it was being repaired on our last visit. No worries, we will definitely stay here again when working in the area!

I stayed at the Best Western University Inn for the first time in August 2019 when I was dropping my son off for college. I am a rewards member of another large hotel and everywhere I go I always stay there. This time like I found the Best Western and It was the same price but closer to campus so I tried it. I have stayed three addition times since then and now This is the only hotel I will stay at when I am in Forest Grove. The hotel is very clean, The fresh baked cookies at night make you feel right at home, I loved the 24 hour coffee and juice bar. The breakfast every morning was consistantly great and the Staff was both incrediably professional and warm. They were all so helpful and pleassant. This hotel absolutely exceeded my expectation

All the staff was amazing. Everyone at the hotel was very, helpful, kind, and professional. We were very thankful to have an extremely clean room. Also, we enjoyed playing in the pool, hot tub, and sauna.

We were staying at a less expensive motel nearby and felt we had to change our reservations due to poor facilities. My wife reserved a room in the middle of the night from the motel we were staying in. When we checked out early from the motel, we later checked in to the Best Western University Inn & Suites and were warmly greeted at a clean and inviting facility. Our room was very nice and clean. All of the amenities were available and working. Overall, it made the total difference in our visit with family while in Forest Grove. Thank you!

Front desk service was less than competent. Unable to answer some basic questions. Double billed us on the stay and then hassled when we questioned the double charge and vague as to if the refund would be issued. Was there to visit family but will definitely stay elsewhere next time.

University Inn & Suites went out of their way to accomidate a large active group. There are not enough words to express my gratitude. Maybe a hug woudl describe it best. When in the area again this will be our first choice for accomidations.

We stay at best western whenever we go anywhere. We receive points and now get free room upgrades. They are clean and I feel like I'm in a safe environment while I'm there. They have a fantastic free breakfast and cookies at night that are fantastic!

Every single staff member that I encountered at the BW University Inn was friendly, courteous, helpful, efficient and, well, just plain surprisingly fabulous. The front desk always greeted us with a smile, the housekeeping was clean, and Kelly in the kitchen cooked up the best breakfast I've had in a motel in a very long time. Our room with a mini kitchen and sofa seating area was wonderful. The cookies were yummy and never in short supply. The coffee (including decaf) was available all day long. The pool and hot tub looked very clean and quite large, though we didn't bring suits. The staff was all-around terrific, but I was tremendously impressed that BW also hired a developmentally disabled young man who I saw working both days we were there. I appreciate that BW recognizes that people of all abilities need employment! Thank you!!!

Stayed to attend my 40th reunion from Banks HIgh School (1979)- Go Braves! Alot had changed- reception assisted in directions, food recommendations, and wished me luck! Had a great time, wished we had time to enjoy the pool but headed back home (7 hour drive) on Sunday. Thanks

So arrived on a thursday day evening for a all day meeting on friday, stayed friday night, left saturday. After breakfast. On the second floor no elevator, not so much an issue expect for the placement of the stairs at either end of this very long building. My room about 1/2 way down the hall was a lot of steps on the first floor to the stairs, then to my room from the top of the stairs. At the end of a long day on friday, i returned to my room for a shower before dinner, and my room had not been serviced. It must have been the mood I was in, but I my feeling were more hurt than anything I called the front desk and Jillian apologized and while the housekeeping department had left for the day (please note the difference between a motel and a hotel) she did offer to bring any needed items, and she was sincere in your efforts, I was still a bit sad and neglected.. On the flip side the room was lovely, and seemed quite large and well appointed. The bathroom was small but workable, and the HVAC worked without a hitch. The Morning breakfast was plentiful, and staffed by a delightful women name Kelli, who was attentive, friendly, and present. The breakfast was for me very good, fast becoming the standard fare for these types of lodgings. It was up and running and ready for hungry travelers by 6am. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours, so a 10:30 pm soak was enjoyed, the grounds will well kept, ceptin' for a “Barky” dog in the trailer park on the adjoining property, although that did not last too long. This location was very convent to lots of restaurants in the area. Overall i enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

This hotel seems to like to use a very perfumed cleaning product. The smell is so overwhelming it actually made me feel ill! We were considering staying more than one night here but ended up checking out and staying elsewhere for the rest of our stay.

Me and my wife are looking for a house and best western has great promotions and rewards. We were coming from texas when we started looking for hotels and when we say their deals we immediately became members and have continued to stay here whole we search for a house.

This hotel was clean and had an excellent breakfast. The pool and hot tub area was fantastic. Also it was open 24hrs! But what makes this hotel stand out is the excellent staff. Beds were comfortable.

I chose this hotel for it's location near a wedding venue. I knew nothing about it, but I knew it would be pretty far away from Portland. I had a bit of anxiety as we drove from the airport, wondering how this Best Western would stack up against the higher profile chains. From the moment I walked in, I knew my decision was solid. Everyone I talked to during the three days was amazing from the desk agents I encountered, the breakfast supervisor, and any body else I passed in the hallway. They were friendly, and it was like being surrounded by family. The bed was so comfortable, my husband and I are trying to figure out how to change our bed at home. The breakfast had something for everyone, and the person responsible for the breakfast made us feel like someone in the family was making the breakfast for you, and ensuring everyone had what they needed. My husband was thrilled with the 24/7 juice machine! We will probably never be back, since we have no family or friends in the area, but I recommend this location to anybody who needs to be nearby.

The service we experienced during or stay was excellent. The accommodation exceeded our expectation.The rooms are quite are access off a hall way, with no road noise. Great for car parking with easy access from the main road and you are able to park very close to the access doors for the buildings. We found the location to be safe. A great restaurant for evening meals was with in a few minutes walking distance. We will stay here next time we visit Forest Grove

We got a one bedroom suite on the second floor. I didn't really care for how the main door to the room are only able to open enough for you to get in. There's a metal stopper on the ground to prevent the door from slamming into the wall which could've been pushed back closer to the wall. Not sure why they may have left about a foot of a gap from the wall to the stopper. Other than that, it was clean and very decent for a 2-story hotel with NO elevator. Although, the pool and laundry is open 24/7. After hours it is nice and quiet. The staff was really nice and helpful.

Our experience was pleasant, the people at the hotel are the very best that you will find, and the hotel is convenient and simple but good. The location is the best in the city and convenient for us to access the various places we needed to go in Forest Grove and nearby Hillsborough.

The hotel was well situated. Room was cleaned. The staff was very kind. In particular, Rosa at the front desk was always friendly and helpful with her suggestions. The lady working at the breakfast tables was very pleasant and took pride in her job. In all, we had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Place is clean and neat. Great frittatas for breakfast. No tension between staff makes a calming atmosphere. Staff is more than accommodating. I look forward to the next time I stay at this hotel!

Everything was great. This is our 3rd. time staying at this hotel. Didn't use the pool or jacuzzi this time but in the past it was very relaxing and clean. The fresh choc. chip cookies that are served in the lobby every day at 4pm were delicious as always. Beds and shower were awesome. The fresh food breakfast was delicious as usual, thanx to Linda. Something about the waffles here taste awesome. From the time we arrived, Rosa (front desk) was so efficient, friendly, sweet and helpful. In this little town where I grew up, there are not many hotels and no others that I would recommend, but this one is great.

Stayed at a lot of hotels before and this is one of the best. Melissa at the front desk treated me like a king. Explained where everything was and pleaded I don't hesitate if I need anything. Rooms were perfect!!! Don't hesitate staying here!!!

Our room at this Best Western was everything we've come to expect--very very clean, spacious, and recently updated. The night we spent here was cool, quiet, and comfortable. We were especially impressed with the pool area; with redwood panelling, it was less of an echo chamber than most indoor pools. And the decor was lovely--nice faux lanterns around the hot tub, and the nicest patio furniture we've ever seen in a motel. Also impressive was the breakfast experience. Served in a very nice room and tended by a friendly woman who kept everything stocked and clean, and even took the time to greet everyone. Kudos to her! We'll definitely remember this motel when we're in the Forest Grove area again.

Though nothing spectacular as far as location or special amenities, The BW University Inn was super clean, a great value and staffed by friendly, competent staff. Our particular room had a window blocked by the front carport but it was clean, cool and comfortable...just no view or sunlight.

The toilet would not flush. Maintenance did come up did not fix it. I had to remove the back cover to fill the tank so it would flush. Airpods were taken from room. Were tracked, investigation pending

Nice BW and easy to find. Very welcoming when we arrived. Clean, spacious room however not very quiet due to the trailer court next door. Loud trucks back and forth throughout the night. Nice breakfast in the morning. For those on bikes, not enough room to park near the front door; still enough close parking that we didn't worry.

Breakfast choices and food temperature were excellent. Entire hotel interior and exterior were maintained beautifully. Front desk personnel were always helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to stay at such a well run property.

Great hotel. Stayed in one of the suites. Layed out like an apartment. Great office furniture. Couch not super comfortable. King bed was awesome. Television in the living room and bedroom. Loved the fact that there were lots of plugins. Xfinity tv carried all HBO options. I have two phones, two tablets and one laptop. Free breakfast Buffett is okay. Service was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Internet is kind of slow but not terrible. Location next to a trailer park. Make sure you don't leave valuables in your car. (Good advice regardless)

We had a great experience. The hotel was spotless and up to date. Breakfast far exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by Kelly, the breakfast ambassador. She was friendly and took a great deal of pride in her job. The breakfast selections were plentiful. Our kids enjoyed having so much to choose from. Kelly kept the breakfast area perfectly clean and replenished. It was a great way to start the day. If we are in the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Hotel was easy to find, parking was easy, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, beds were comfortable, really hot showers, pool and sauna were nice, breakfast had several good options for a continental, check out took 10 seconds

We have stayed in this Best Western for several years. It seems to be better everytime we're there. We always have a pet, and the staff is alwys first class.Breakfast is great and the hotel is very quiet!

Tournaments are always hectic, this hotel was clean, great staff & made our stay relaxing! 24 hr pool was a hit to get energy out of our teens & help them sleep well. Suites are spacious & offered a quiet place for adults to visit & kids to stay out of the halls & away from other guests not in our group. Close to restaurants & Black Rock coffee...highly recommend if you've never tried their coffee!

We loved our stay here. Very nice room, and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was perfect.. We had a mini suite which had a semi separate living room, with a loveseat, chair and coffee table and it's own TV. Also another TV where beds wers. Staff was great. Highly recommend

The staff was excellent from check-in to check-out. Very clean rooms and big fresh hot and cold breakfast options included. Great hotel for the money. The whole staff worked hard to make sure the hotel was clean and orderly. Would definitely return to this hotel the next time I'm in the area. Staff extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and clean. Great beds and linens that you can just melt into. The pool and hot tub very clean and a nice escape after a busy day. BW works nicely for us when we visit my mother-in-law, just a short distance from the hotel. I like that they have had handicap rooms available every time we have stayed there. My husband likes the freshly baked cookies that are available every afternoon/evening. The breakfast is more than you would typically get at a complimentary hotel breakfast. Hot egg dishes, breakfast meats, choices of hot and cold cereals, plus a variety of breads and pastries.

We had a really amazing time! The breakfast was really nice and the staff treated us all really well! The room was nice and clean and the room was a nice size! The pool and hot tub were high really nice and we enjoyed ourselves for sure! I would recommend staying here if you need a hotel near Forest Grove!

My second time here and am now a BW University cheerleader. First of all, shoutout to front desk clerk Melissa who is the sweetest young lady ever; bright smile and great welcoming attitude that can't be beat. I had to arrive one day earlier than expected and Melissa gave me a call when the room was ready (earlier than my expectations). I am actually still here (a week stay) and just loving it. Close distance to Pacific University, which I needed, more than ample parking, CLEAN room, excellent housekeeping staff, laundry room great, nice pool/jacuzzi, and WONDERFUL breakfast with the most accommodating staff (love those ladies). I'm coming back very soon and consider these ladies as friends. Thank you, BW!

The hotel room was very large and clean. This hotel has large in door pool with a very clean Hot Tub! The cookies warm and fresh! The Oatmeal cookies were especially tasty. It was recently remodeled. It has very comfortable chairs.

No worries here. This is a nice property. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of variety and all tasted good, and staff was pleasant. I would definitely stay here again. I recommend it. Room was very well taken care of.

First off, let's set the record straight once and for all: this property DOES NOT have an elevator. And, according to the “help,” it never has. Never will. In fact, we had originally booked the second floor/elevator side of floor with the promise, by the manager (Shalini) whom we spoke with on the phone and who refuted every other T.A. reviewer for this property, that they had an elevator available for guests. As you can imagine, we were relying on that elevator to transport our four large duffels and various other items (coolers, backpacks and so on) and when we learned from the desk clerk there never has been an elevator there, well, we felt deceived. Which is a politically correct way of saying we were lied to. Yes, the rooms were just fine ( beds were comfortable for sleeping), the breakfast buffet the same, but to fib about the availability of an elevator when we asked about it directly, especially when we had agreed to reserve a second floor room, was troubling at best and disappointing at worst. On balance, our stay was fine, but in the future (and perhaps thanks to this review), they will no longer represent they have an elevator. If you intend to book a room here and you don't want to carry your belongings too far, get a first floor room or find another hotel. We posted a photo of the steps/stairs you must take to the 2nd level with our review here on TA. You'll thank us later.

The hotel is very nice, clean, friendly staff, and complimentary breakfast. It's kind of a drive from Portland but we weren't needing to be very close to the city. It's near a lot of fast food restaurants and stores if you need groceries or other supplies.

I was in the area for a one week workshop at Pacific University and, being well past the days of staying in a dorm and sharing a bathroom, I was looking for a hotel. It is close to Pacific University, clean and friendly staff, but I was expecting more - perhaps an elevator and lights by the bed. There was an outlet to charge my cell phone overnight once I pulled the bedside table out from the wall. I did like the microwave and refrigerator in the room but housekeeping was a bit stingy with the toilet paper. The setup is that 2 rolls were mounted in the bathroom but previous guests had used both of them down to 1/4 inch or less on each. I didn't discover that until about 1 a.m. so got dressed again and went down to the desk and asked for another roll, knowing that probably wasn't going to work for me. I had both rolls off and housekeeping remounted both of them while I was gone the next day - yes, the one with about 1/4 inch or less, they kept in the room and didn't leave a spare. Additionally, this is a pet friendly hotel but I'm not certain what the rules are for pet guests as one night, I had a dog barking for a solid 1/2 hour.

Excellent Hotel and Service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Overall, I was very happy with the room and amenities for the time I stayed in the hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

The Staff really listens here. I called WHILE ON ROUTE.....no preplanning.....but they made it happen. My mother needed a Handicap Room on the main floor and we stayed over a weekend. The drive to the Oregon Coast is pleasant from here. JC

Can I just say that Melissa at the Front Desk is totally remarkable? This is my third stay at BW and it really does feel like home. This property is clean, spacious (including the parking), safe, and welcoming. Caveat - the beds are so comfy and soft that you may miss breakfast because you'll love sleeping in. All BWs should run their property like this one - it's reasonably priced and takes care of their guests. I'll be back very soon to see the staff whom I consider friends now!

Best Western Employee Angela made our trip easy. She was so very helpful and human! Rooms were clean and comfortable, amenities were very nice for a smaller hotel. Will stay there again when I'm in town.

From the service to the amenities, my experience was above and beyond any other experience I have had at the brand before. The rooms were clean, the staff was professional, and breakfast was delicious. I had my doggie with me and I was very impressed with the facilities and the pet policy. I will be staying at the Best Western University Inn and Suites again when I am in the area!

We stayed her for our first time, and ultimately its a very "average" Best Western - a few flaws though. Location - just east of downtown Forest Grove - but too far to walk to - so location lacks as you must drive to get anywhere. Also, rooms in back overlook a trailer park (with a few barking dogs). On check in we saw people with dogs and asked for a quiet room - so were put on 2nd floor (no elevator). However, people across the hall had left a dog in their room that was barking excessively. I contacted the front desk who stated while they don't usually put animals on the 2nd floor they did this evening (which means they probably do it often). It was so bad we were moved to a "Suite" (which is the same exact size as a regular room - just a different layout and IMO pretty poor design (no window in sitting area - all lights are florescent) so wouldn't rec'd paying for it. So kudos for front desk agent trying to fix it, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Breakfast was typical generic morning buffet found in all BWs. Parking free and plenty. Pool indoors with jacuzzi - but not overly appealing. Gym laughable - 2 machines squashed into a large closet size space.

The staff were nice, the breakfast was great - especially the biscuits and gravy, and the beds were comfortable. I like that there is an electric outlet by each bed for charging devices and that there is no limit to the number of devices you can have on the Wifi in your room. The parking, WiFi, breakfast, and coffee in the room is all included. Plus coffee and tea available 24/7 and cookies available after 4pm. These are great things. However, there is no elevator. So be mindful that you are taking the stairs with all your bags. But the worst thing is that when I pulled back the covers on the bed I found a long black hair. At first I thought it could be the person's who made the bed. I did not call to ask for the sheets to be changed or tell any staff member about it. But then the next morning when I went to shower, I found two more long black hairs on the shower wall. I have very short brown hair and had not use the shower yet. So then I started wondering whether the shower and tub had been cleaned and if the sheets had been changed. This left me with a bad feeling about this hotel. I can forgive a lot but not lack of cleaning. Also, I was thinking of commenting about how great the breakfast was anyway, but when the breakfast ambassador tells you that they get a $50 bonus from the company if you mention them by name, it looses its shine. I'd be ok with a slip of paper being handed to me at check in telling me about the bonus if I receive great service. But when the person hands you a business card with their name on it when they tell you about the bonus, I feel it is more a solicitation. I'm not sure I would stay here again not knowing if the rooms are actually cleaned.

This hotel is quiet, with friendly staff. The location is convenient. Even though I didn't use the pool or jacuzzi this time, I have on past stays and enjoyed them. The rooms are comfortable and quiet.

The housekeeping staff were amazing, they would come later in the morning so our children would not be woken up, always checked in when they saw us in the halls to see if w needed anything, and offered to make waffles when the breakfast room ran out. They were truly great.

We stay at the Best Western in Forest Grove, OR several times a year while we are visiting family. It is always comfortable and the staff are customer oriented. From the time we arrive at the front desk to the time we check out, everyone is friendly and courteous. We enjoy the pool and hot tub. Rooms are quiet for the most part and the beds are extremely comfortable. It is a nice home away from home. The breakfasts are a step above the ones we typically get at hotels, and the attendant is always prompt and greets us like old friends. It's also nice to have coffee and cookies available in the afternoon when we arrive. Overall it feels like a well managed hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Forest Grove.

We stayed at the Best Western in Forest Grove and had a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful without seeming phony. The hotel is close to many shops and an easy drive to the coast or Portland.

We traveled to Forest Grove to visit family. The facility and staff were excellent. They even upgraded the room for nothing. How cool is that. I loved the sugar cookies and the bed. We will stay here in the future.

This Best Western is with out a doubt one of the best I have stayed in! The staff is there reason for their success! We have stayed here multiple of times aver Holidays to visit Family in the area and are always very satisified with the Hotel and the service. Everyone should give it a try when visiting the area.

Staff was fantastic and the hotel is nice, but there is no elevator. If you don't want to carry your luggage upstairs (literally) ask for a room on the first floor. Getting out of the parking lot can be a little tricky due to traffic.

This was a very last minute stay so ended up at BW University. I had been told by several friends not to expect much from this property and was forewarned about no elevator, but was also told by other acquaintances that despite that, this hotel was great. So I was and am pleasantly surprised (I'm still here!) to find a clean, large hotel with decent amenities. Parking is ample and safe, well lit lot. Front desk personnel are nice and welcoming; it's so small that you feel safe as the front desk can see who comes & goes. I have a room on the second floor and it's large, overlooking the parking lot (this isn't a resort, folks). For the most part, it's quiet - the hotel can't be responsible for loud talking outside the door so other than some inconsiderate guests, I have no noise issue at all. Beds are comfortable and fresh, as is bathroom and its amenities. The tub is great! Deep, hot water, great pressure! Haven't done breakfast yet, but will do tomorrow. So it's safe to say I am very happy to be here and wouldn't hesitate recommending BW University.

Very Clean. Helpful staff. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows were awesome - firm but comfortable. Check in and check out were smooth and speedy. Staff were friendly but not intrusive and respectful.

All went well except for the call for reservations ahead . There was a mix up on which floor was needed for my wife. I will be sure to make sure the reservation needed will be clear next time. The over all experience with Best western has been good.

I chose this Hotel because it was close to where my son is going to school, and I am so glad I did. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. This will be my "go to" Hotel when visiting my son.

I was visiting my Grandson for his 21st Birthday. The staff was so eager to help with suggestions to find restaurants or just fun times for this occasion. My bed was firm for a good nights sleep. Clean so I felt comfortable. I've stayed here before and have yet to be disappointed Sheila B

The entire stay was overwhelmingly great! From welcome to goodbye. I would recommend to anyone. The breakfast staff was very helpful an friendly. Front desk staff as well. Made me feel right at home. Very, very nice experience. I would recommend to everyone!

We had a nice stay. Check in was quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and were were provided enough toiletries. I enjoyed the make-up wipes too!! It would have been nice to have 4 large bath towels. We didn't eat breakfast this trip but it was nice to know we had a backup in case our plans didn't work. Check out was no trouble at all.

1st time staying here. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was top notch as far as being updated and looking clean. No typical water damage that I see in many other hotels. The staff were terrific! They were super attentive. The breakfast was very good and a step above average in terms of what it offered. I would happily stay here again.

We spent one nite here while our kitchen was being remolded. We brought along our dog, and stayed in one of the King "pet Rooms". Great bed, quiet. Easy access on the first floor. Very good Bfast options. Wonderful and,knowledgeable staff. (all shifts and local phone contact)

Spent three nights in a 2 queen suite. Pretty straight forward hotel. Comfortable, quiet and close to Pacific Univ for visiting the campus. Good breakfast in the morning. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Good location. Clean. Nice room. A little over-priced for the area, but wanted the location. Could hear kids runnin in room above, but luckily they slept through the night. Good options for breakfast. Easy check in and out. Friendly staff.

While visiting friends booked a pet friendly room on a whim. Short stay, checked in a 10:00 PM and were back on the road by 9:00 A.M but a very nice facility. Nothing bad to note. There was a large empty lot just out the door to entertain the dogs and McMenamin's Grand Lodge is just down the road for additional walking and site seeing opportunities.

Wonderfully attentive and friendly hotel staff will make your stay at this hotel a great experience, We came to the area for a family wedding and selected it because it was close by, but were thrilled at how GREAT it was! Rooms were great, everything works, extremely clean, staff is so attentive and the breakfast was wonderful. You could certainly spend a lot more money for a stay but I am not sure that you will find a better overall stay!

Visited Portland at a busy time when most hotels were full and prices were high. The Best Western in Forest Grove was a bit of a drive, but a nice hotel at a reasonable price. Well maintained, clean, big rooms, cookies when you check in, nice people, etc. Breakfast was included but I didn't take advantage of it. Short walk to Mcmenamin's Grand Lodge which is a nice place for dinner.

My family stayed here this summer. After an early am departure my daughter's realized they had left their swimsuits behind in the closet. We called the same day and were told nothing was turned in, so they weren't there. I followed-up with the location and again was told, no nothing was there. I emailed and never received a reply. Very disappointed.

This is a fine hotel. No complaints at all. The breakfast lady is particularly excellent. Watch out for spoof websites. We accidently made our reservation once through what we thought was Best Western but ended up paying almost twice the normal rate.

Hotel staff was pleasant and courteous. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Location to the wedding is why I chose this hotel as it is centrally located. Breakfast selection was above average.

Love this hotel because it is close to Pacific University. We have stayed here a number of times and have found it always clean, beds are comfortable, and staff are friendly and the free breakfast is great.

I stay at this hotel on a regular basis. It is clean, quiet, and I always get a great night sleep. Conveniently close to Pacific University. Only downfall is the internet is poor. If you need to connect, plan on going to a local business or to the college and use your student's.

We have stayed here several times and have noticed that there may be some general updating needed, and certainly maintenance issues should be addressed. For instance, in our room, the shower curtain was in shreds - it was ripped and should be replaced. It's crazy that they allowed guests to stay in the room with a shower curtain in this condition. The bathroom fan was useless. It did nothing to keep the humidity down and the bathtub drain was so slow that when we were showering, we ended up standing ankle deep in water. We heard a lot of "thumping" from the room above us, which was annoying. The same breakfast was served every morning, but it was very good and there were a lot of choices. Mostly, we found the staff to be very helpful, friendly, and courteous. I just think that the lack of overall maintenance is showing in this aging hotel.

I have never had such great service. They really care. The location was perfect for me. Only 6 minutes to Hillsboro and so much cheaper. It is a straight shot and traffic was not bad even during rush hour.

Normally I don't stay at Best Western because the BW's of the past weren't very nice. However, this establishment was quite impressive considering my past experiences. I will totally stay at another one IF it was anything like this one. I would totally recommended this location...

very good place to stay. Only surprise was absence of an elevator which required lugging luggage up stairs. Breakfast was adequate and was served after the usual closing time from adequate leftovers. The person managing the breakfast serving was very helpful. Pool is open 24 hours. Overall a great place to stay except for the minor inconvenience of no elevator.

Nice staff, friendly, warm, and kind. Great food and nice room! Paring is easy, 5 min from Pacific University, Pool for kiddies, and just a nice place to stay that has everything you need. I will stay here again.

Great location if you're visiting the university. However, parents beware—this two story hotel does not have an elevator, which makes it an awful choice on move-in weekend. Be sure to request a first floor room. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and well-maintained. Freshly baked cookies available in the lobby in the afternoon are an unexpected treat.

The room was great and the staff was amazing. The breakfast choices were extensive and yummy. Sadly there is no elevator so if you need one you should ask for a ground level floor. Other than that yes!

Room was clean, comfortable and pretty quit. The pool as refreshing and really enjoyed the sauna and Jacuzzi after traveling for days. The people at the customer service desk we all helpful and informative and the breakfast in the morning was truly appreciated and pretty good.

This hotel has a very friendly, professional and helpful staff. They went out of their way to ensure our group had everything we needed and our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was very good, and the staff actually can out of the kitchen to make sure everyone was satisfied.

Six of us in my family were in Forest Grove, Oregon for a family wedding. This hotel was chosen because it was close to my daughter's home and to the wedding venue. Also, I needed a room for accessible accommodation. It fit that need, but I didn't need a full suite with Jacuzzi tub which I cannot get in and out of. the staff was always very courteous and helpful.

We are finding the Best Western has been working to improve the product all over the nation. We travel a lot (2 TO 3 Months a year, by car) and end up is a Great variety of towns and small city's. Best Western is in the top two of the accommodations we look for.. Always been a good value

The location of this hotel wasn't great and there was no elevator, but the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and responsive. The back side of the hotel overlooks a trailer park and we asked to move because of some yappy dogs under our window. The staff was very helpful accommodating our request. There was a good selection at breakfast.

The location was the main reason we stayed at this hotel. We found it to be very clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed. Not fond of the sink in the main sleeping area instead of the bathroom but that was the only downside for us and that wasn't a big one. The breakfast was very good with a good choice of food.

We flew into Portland and drove down to this area to stay the night. We were beginning a road trip, but wanted to rest up before we got started. This place was affordable, clean, and friendly. One thing I really loved was the indoor pool. It was open 24/7! You never see that these days. Most hotel pools close at 6 or 8 or dusk. It was nice to be able to go out to eat dinner, and then get in the pool with the kids until late in the evening. The other nice thing was that we had the pool all to ourselves! The rooms were nicely sized and clean. No issues at all with the accommodations. The staff was friendly and ready to help with any questions at all. Overall it was a nice, enjoyable stay with no stress.

We found this place in the Portland, Oregon, area. The staff was great from check-in and check-out to the housekeeping staff. We also had a dog, and they were great with him. Forest Grove may not be the cultural and happening center of the universe, but the staff made up for it.

This is a great hotel to stay if visiting the West Cities of Portland. If visiting Portland City Center is a bit far but for the price and amenities it is a great location. A McMennamins right next door and the drive from the Highway 26 to the Hotel is absolutely beautiful.

Everyone we encountered during our stay, was very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. We will be in Forest Grove frequently during our daughter's time at Pacific University and look forward to staying at the Best Western. We always seems to get the same room, which is nice. It's kind of like, returning home :-) The location is perfect. Mid way between campus, food, shopping and medical providers. Very centrally located. The delicious breakfast is free for guests and one of the many perks of staying at the Best Western.

This was our first time staying in a Best Western. We were impressed with how nice the staff was, how large, clean and comfy the room was including the bed and how generous the breakfast was. This was definitely value for the money. Because we have relatives in the area, we will be back again!

We stay at this hotel every time we visit our son. this hotel is always clean and quiet. The beds are very comfortable, and the shower is always hot. If there is a problem, the staff is always very helpful. The free breakfast has a lot to choose from (I'm gluten free and my daughter is vegetarian). We have never used the pool or the work-out room.

Great pool and hot tub. always clean and pleasant atmosphere. Greatest hotel breakfast experience ever. Forest Grove can get very hot in the Summer but the Best Western has great AC. within walking distance to the Grand Lodge for food, drink, movies Frisbee golf etc.

All the personnel were most friendly and helpful. The gal who is in charge of breakfast is fantastic in every way. We are in our 80s and she anticipated our needs with a smile. The evening cookies really hit the spot. Having cocoa available is the only place we have experienced this....and it is special with the cream topping provided be the gal (I wish I remembered her name) from the breakfast room. Both my husband and myself use a cane which the personnel made everything available for us. THANK YOU

This Best Western was a great place for me when I was traveling for a conference. The staff was super friendly at check in and my room was really nice and clean. Bed was super comfy and the internet was fast. It was also great to have a pool, hot tub and steam after a long day of meetings open late at night. In the morning the breakfast was great and had wide variety of options and was tasty. If my business travels ever take me back to the area I will certainly stay here again.

Stayed two nights during a conference. Room was very quiet, A/C worked great, water hot, staff very helpful and friendly. Slept very well. Breakfast was average, nothing special just the usual like most places these days.

At check-in, we were offered chocolate chip cookies... a great start. The room was clean, but we had to ask for more towels. The breakfast is above average with eggs, waffles and continental breakfast findings. We were traveling with our infant daughter and the staff fawned over her and were very friendly.

Had a wonderful stay at this motel. Very accommodating staff. The room was very comfortable & with 90 degree heat the air conditioning worked to perfection. The breakfast served in the morning was one of the best we have experienced in our motel stays. Definitely would stay again!

Our child attends college in town and this is the best hotel near Pacific University. We had our dogs and they put us in a room on the first floor near the doors..it was wonderful! Breakfast was as expected. We only dealt with the lady at the front desk upon check-in. She was very helpful and kind. Hotel was more expensive than I expected for Forest Grove but if you want a hotel near Pacific University this is the best option.

Fantastic stay. The only 2 things that could improve is the WiFi strength and more options for workout equipment. Rooms were spacious, clean and well kept, pool &hot tub great. Full hot breakfast with options for everyone.

This hotel is in a great location when you have a child attend Pacific University. We have stayed many times now and the hotel is always consistent. Our last stay the lady who serves breakfast, believe her name was Kelly, went out of her way to provide us with the best service possible when we were arrived 30 mins after service had finished. She did not make us feel rushed and could not have been kinder.

We stayed at this hotel because my husband was in a golf tournament near by. Because of this we wanted to stay three nights if he was to play in the practice round but we wanted to be able to cancel one night if he didn't play the practice round. So I made the reservations by phone - one night with a cancellation capability and two with no cancellation. They wanted to charge me $12.99 to book by phone but didn't tell me that until I had booked. Then when we did cancel, they wanted to charge me another $12.99 but again I wasn't informed of that until I tried to cancel. I protested vigorously and the charges were dropped. My advice it to try to book on line to avoid these charges and the hassle of protesting. The hotel itself was older but had been refurbished very nicely. It was clean, the rooms were large, the staff was very nice and the breakfasts were first class. Forest Grove seems a bit depressed economically and there seemed to be only one restaurant nearby for dinners. We did go to a neighboring town for dinner one night and that was just fine. I recommend this hotel but not the booking service.

This is a great place to stay. Friendly staff and clean lobby. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. They had a good continental breakfast. Everything was well stocked and clean. It's also very close to the Pacific University. Would recommend staying here.

Hotel is very nice. There is a limited selection for area, so price is high. Rooms are spacious and nice. Very comfortable. No elevator makes it difficult if you are on second floor. Overall it is very nice.

This is one of the cleanest, friendliest hotels ever. We have travel all over the world and the USA and this is the best. Our host upon arrival was Erica, what a kind and gracious young lady who we found out is going to college to work in the dental field. a most pleasant lady. On leaving we checked out with Cindy, a wonderful person. She was very accommodating and kind. The food service was excellent and plenty to eat of a variety of most delicious delites. Our kids and grandchildren live in Forest grove and for sure we will be back to stay here once again.

The first thing I noticed upon arrival is that the front doors to the hotel are not handicapped friendly. They do not automatically open, and there is no button to push for handicapped accessibility. They are just the good old-fashioned, open by yourself kind of doors. Second, there is no elevator. That was a major shock. The third shock was the size of the bathroom. I have never seen anything so small. The door almost hits the toilet when opened, and it does hit the shower curtain rod when open. Pictures included. The fan, which turns on automatically when the light is on, is really just for show in my opinion. It does nothing. I promise that when you get out of the shower, the mirror will be completely fogged. The complimentary breakfast was really sub-par. We only ate it the first day because we hadn't planned enough time for anything else. We went elsewhere every additional day we stayed. With that said, the rooms were large and clean, and the hotel itself was well kept and clean. I happened to go back to my room one afternoon before housekeeping had arrived. When they did arrive, I told her to only deal with the bathroom. Roughly an hour and a half later another knock came at the door asking if everything was OK. Since I had just laid down to take a nap not only did I not understand the purpose of that, I found it was rather unnecessary and completely annoying. The hotel staff wasn't overly warm and friendly, but I wouldn't say they were rude either. Maybe the word I would choose is nonchalant. If you choose to stay at this hotel, keep all this in mind. If you are hauling a lot of luggage I would suggest asking for a room on the first floor. If I return to the area I will stay in Beaverton next time.

What a nice little hotel. Nestled in quant Forest Grove, OR.thos wad my second time here and this visit was even better than the first. They have been really working on the hotel and it shows. It was great last time. But this trip it just had a different feeling. It just felt clean being in thier. There is a great Hawiian restaurant about a mile away, the McMenanins Masonic Grand Lodge who has fantastic spirits and local sourced food. You will enjoy this place.

Best hotel in Forest Grove. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms and great location. We have stayed at this hotel for work and we have been staying here for over four months. If you need a hotel in this area, this is the place to stay.

Booked two nights to be near the Banks-Vernonia Bike trail. The room (and hotel) was clean and in great condition. Staff members were helpful and friendly. The (K) bed was firm and comfy for our taste. We chose a room upstairs, away from the stairs and away from road noise -- room was quiet. The typical in-room air conditioner was not as loud as other hotels that we've stayed in -- so we were able to sleep well. They put out warm cookies in the afternoon. I would stay there again if we were in the area.

Although the hotel and the room were nice, because I have bad knees and because the type of room I wanted was only available on the second floor, the fact that they didn't tell us that there were no elevators was a real issue, both checking in and out.

Stayed here when traveling to OR for wedding in Forest Grove. We allowed a few days for sightseeing. Rented a car and drove to hotel from PDX. Nice central location for day trips to Columbia River Gorge Scenic Drive, Pacific Coast (Haystack Rock and Cannon Beach), Mount St Helens Volcano Nat'l Monument, quick day in Portland. Clean, friendly employees, acceptable breakfast to start you off in the morning.

This was as close to being a "10" hotel as I have stayed at in a long time. All security features worked, quiet(outside and room to room) , wi-fi was quite good, most all employees dealt with were very good, exception being a morning breakfast hostess was not up to standard(abrupt and not to friendly especially as where to place unmarked containers of waste after meal. I am probably a little picky but when compared to the rest of the facility not up to standard. Yes this was a place to stay, great service and if you can use city streets not freeway very easy to get around.

Was a good experience other than the cycling of the HVAC unit, woke me up often thru the night. Otherwise was a good experience. Mainly needed a clean place to stay for the short time we were there for & it suited that need well.

I was surprised to find no food except for breakfast and a couple of vending machines - so, if you need to eat in the evening or have a quiet drink in the bar, you'll need to take a walk. There's a small pool, sauna, hot tub and exercise room. Otherwise, pretty standard. I used public transport: there's a bus stop nearby. One way connects to the TriMet train terminus and that'll take you to the airport for $2.50 ...you cannot argue with that!

I spent one week at the best Western Hotel in Forest Grove Oregon. The staff were very friendly, and the room availability was great. The room was clean and nice. The hotel was quiet too so resting came easy. Breakfast was very well done as well. Plenty of variety, and quality was excellent. If I am in Forest Grove Oregon for business again I definitely will return to the best Western University Inn

Stayed in a suite which was large and comfortable. The pool was very nice as was the hot tub Excellent breakfast - we are from a different time zone and had trouble getting up in the morning in time and they went the extra mile to get us breakfast on two days that we were there. I washed my laundry in the guest laundry and the dryer ended up not working, so they dried my clothes for me Everyone I met that worked there was gracious, friendly, and very helpful WOuld recommend!!

In a good location. Easy to get in and out of. Was very quiet at night. Parking can be a bit tricky after dinner hours. Safeway grocery store is nearby. Mc Donald's, Jack in the Box, and several other restaurants are nearby. Prime Time sports bar is also close by. Walmart is right down the block.

Excellent staff - friendly, helpful, and efficient. Clean room. Beautiful pool - not cold!! Wifi kicked us off and we would re-enter password each time. Not that big of a deal. Had our dog along - a bit of a walk out to field for pottying. No grassy spots right by the hotel. Again, no big deal. Breakfast was SO good!

Just recently stopped over on the way to Seattle, Washington. Hotel was clean and service was good. Front desk people were very nice. Breakfast was complimentary and was just right. Pool area was clean and was stocked up with plenty of clean towels. Would stop here again.

Very nice, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. The pool looked nice and clean however I didn't go in. We had a queen suite. Microwave, mini fridge all nice. I was impressed the hot water was nice and hot. Not lukewarm like at some places. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here in the BW in Forest Grove because we flew into Portland and were on our way to the coast. The motel is in really good shape, clean, friendly staff, and nice rooms. We had 2 Queens. As an early bird I liked the 24 hr coffee maker -- a machine that does the coffee, ... not some old stuff from the day before. At 6 am they started breakfast (at the time of my visit hot and cold breakfast, nicely cared for fresh apples and bananas, yoghurt, waffles, oats, etc. -- should be doing the job for any kind of traveler. Motel is accessible via several entrances including the lobby. I have no complaints and would stay here again. On a side note: the fitness room is just equipped with a tread mill, and one other machine, I think a step trainer but I am not sure. I personally was looking for some weights or that type of machine but that's missing. My only point where I see improvement. Forest Grove is pretty tiny and not many restaurants in the area. Pizza Schmizza seems to be the place to go if you like pizza but we didn't this time. There's a Safeway supermarket close-by if you want to buy your own dinner. So, yes, I would stay here again but the reason for us was that we did want to leave Portland downtown on our arrival day in order to have a good start to our coast trip the next morning. We spent the day in Portland downtown and cam to Forest Grove for the night. I f you have a doggie,... we saw several at the hotel that day and they are pet friendly.

This hotel provides everything you need when visiting Pacific University. Beds are comfortable, breakfast is provided and there is usual ample parking. We shall be using this property for the next four years!

Pros: Overall rating is Excellent. The check in speed is fast. Coffee and Juice is accessible all day. Breakfast has bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle, yogart, apple, banana, bread, muffin, cheerios, etc. The room including the bathroom is clean. The swimming pool and the hot tub are in good working conditions and there was only our family during my visit. Cons: The bed is a bit soft and that applies to all BW hotels. May be just personal preference.

Very well run property! Very helpful checking in, including wi-fi hookup, great breakfast and very clean unit. The location was also very great for us, not to mention Forest Grove being a nice little town.

This was our first time staying at the BEST WESTERN University Inn & Suites. We were in Forest Grove in order for my daughter to register as a freshman at Pacific University, with another reservation set for her move-in date in August. Our arrival was on Sunday, and the hotel seemed to be about 1/3 to 1/2 full. Our check-in was smooth and we were given a room on the first floor. There were two rolling carts for self-service luggage transport just inside the door of the lobby. A small seating area with a fireplace, coffee bar and an open door to the breakfast room were all visible, as well as the indoor pool and spa. We walked to our room and passed the vending and ice machines on the first floor, as well as a very small fitness room with a bike and treadmill. The property appeared to be clean - the pool room especially. When we entered our room we noticed a heavy, cleaning product scent, but everything seemed in order. When my daughter went to see about adjusting the fan speed on the AC unit she noticed dog poo on the floor. ( Maybe the cleaning person could smell something, but couldn't find the source?) Having three dogs ourselves, we weren't too freaked out by this, but I decided to take a photo or two and mention it (versus removing it) at the front desk on our way out to get somethng to eat. I showed my photos to the front desk clerk who apologized and immediately offered a new room. I told her we'd not eaten all day and were going to get something, then we'd be back to switch rooms. Upon returning the same clerk apologized again and gave me the keys to a new room. We returned to the original one to gather our things and moved to the new room. Upon checking it out we found it was missing a hair dryer and nightlight (the other room had them), so I mentioned it and received the items before tucking in for the night. Once in the new room we settled in and slept well. We kept the AC's fan running all night for the white noise, which I think helped a lot as the hotel is on one of the main streets running through Forest Grove. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During our visit I noticed these things: 1. The bed was very comfortable with lots of squishy pillows, cozy sheets and a light comforter. 2. Having a microwave, good sized (3.2 cu' - guessing here) fridge, ironing board and iron were all really nice. 3. The 32" LCD TV was OK, but the feed to it (satellite or cable) was coming through as analog versus digital. I found that curious. The picture wasn't very sharp. Maybe a setting needed tweaking, but it was like that on both the TV in the first room and the second one. 4. The AC/heating unit worked well, and we liked the white noise of the fan on all the time feature. 5. Despite being next to the breakfast room, we didn't hear much noise first thing in the morning. Good sound proofing other than when the shower upstairs was turned on. 6. The bathroom had a phone on the wall. Not something you see much these days. 7. Desk and chair, but no table with chairs in the room. The lamp on the desk has two AC outlets, but no USB ports in the room to charge devices so bring your own! 8. No alarm clock, but the light on the front of the microwave showed the time. We used our iPhone alarm so it wasn't a big deal. 9. The room furnishings seemed to be a bit more dated than the breakfast room and entry. 10. The hot/cold adjustments to the water in the tub were a little tricky to figure out something more than freezing, but not scalding. I was sucessful, but my daughter never did get it figured out. 11. The free breakfast was very generous. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs, several kinds of fruit, waffles (make your own), yogurt, and more. The breakfast room was clean and housed about 10 tables, a TV and a computer workstation available to guests. 12. The indoor pool and spa were very clean. I didn't bring my suit, but if you do visit this property, you probably should! 13. The parking lot is small and tight. If you have a large vehicle or are towing a trailer, you may find it is tough to park here. 14. There are two floors and NO elevator! 15. There is a loose tile in front of the coffee bar in the lobby. I stepped on it and felt it wobble under my feet. Super Glue should fix that... I'm just sayin'! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- In conclusion... Finding dog poo in my room wasn't good. The move to another room was an appropriate response, however the hotel's customer service could have been better in offering to help us move rooms. (Maybe she was there alone though?) I did ask the front desk clerk if I could expect an adjustment to our bill and she said she would mention it to her manager who would have to make that determination. I was asked upon check-out about my stay (by a new front desk clerk) and told her about the incident. She said that she had seen the note on it and she too apologized for it. 24 hours passed before I received an email receipt of my bill for this stay. My credit card had been charged the full amount. Later I received a confirmation email of my pending August stay with the hotel in an amount quoted at the time of the reservation over a month ago. A few minutes later, another email with a 20% discounted rate for the August visit. About an hour later I received yet another email from the hotel's manager explaining that a 20% reduction in my future stay had been taken off for the inconvenience, with phone numbers if I cared to contact her. I never received any direct communication from the manager, nor did I receive and discount on the stay as completed. Now I find myself wondering if I should cancel my discounted stay in August and book elsewhere? This hotel's location makes it ideal for my purposes in Forest Grove, and I had hoped to build a long standing relationship with the hotel for future visits. It is the nicest option (except for maybe McMenamins Grand Lodge which is a bit funky for us with shared bathrooms...) for places to stay around the area and I find myself considering them. In truth I think that if I hadn't been wondering: "What else didn't get cleaned?" all night long, and that if my current bill had received an adjustment instead of a stay I've yet to take, I'd be happier with my stay at the BEST WESTERN University Inn & Suites. The bottom line is that I give it a 3 out of 5 rating based upon the perks of the comfortable bed, quiet room, and excellent free breakfast. If we'd not found 'ugh' in our room, I'd probably boost that rating. NOTE: I did have to shop around for the best rate - using the BW website and calling the property directly to ask about a Pacific University rate, I actually found the best rate was the BW site for a non-refundable purchase. Even at a discounted rate, the prices can be high for this hotel at peak times when Pacific is in session.

This hotel is the nicest in the area. Great location for business at Pacific University. Safeway and WalMart close. Staff was very nice. Pool was clean but very old. Spa was nice and very clean. This place is old and shows it. Breakfast was horrible. I can not recommend it. The room was nice but cleaning staff needs a lesson on cleaning.

Very clean property. Great staff who are concerned to make your stay pleasant. Nice pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. Close proximity to Pacific University and the start to the Oregon wine country. Ten miles from high tech companies in Hillsboro.

The hotel is a nice place to stay. Very nice staff with a great breakfast included. It was a comfortable and clean room the only downside was there was no elevator in the hotel. Kelly along with all of the other hotel staff workers were excellent. We would recommend this hotel. The pool and hot tub also being available at anytime was also an upside to this hotel.

My family had an excellent stay here at BW in Forest Grove. Rooms were clean and staff was helpful and courteous. Location was close to restaurants and stores for our convenience. Definitely will recommend to my friends and family who would want a place to stay in Forest Grove.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always found staff helpful and the hotel clean and well kept. This is a great hotel for families with children. Has an exercise room, inmdoor pool and hot tub. They also make fresh cookies at night!

Could not have been a more enjoyable visit to the area. My husband and I came to see our grandchildren and our son who was graduating from college. We have stayed at many, many hotels. This is one of the TOPS. Stayed for 4 days and the staff was excellent. We know the area pretty well so we did not need directions. All the staff always had a smile on their face. Room was excellent. Very clean. Shower was excellent. Will be back for sure

Welcomed by friendly staff, hot coffee, and fresh cookies. A great way to start. No disappointments throughout our stay. 24 hour pool, one of the better continental breakfasts we have experienced. Easy check in and check out. Good parking.

Renetta is a rock star! we have stay at the best western university since mid may, and Renetta at the front desk was very professional, very helpful and a true asset to best western. we would definitely stay here again if Renetta at front desk is working!

Great hotel with wonderful, comfortable beds. Clean and all in working order. Friendly staff. Keep up the good work. Just make sure you monitor those rowdy youngsters who got the hallway wet and wasted cookies on the carpet. Their mothers and fathers should keep better track of their kids or teach them some manners. Overall stay was good and would stay again and/or recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

We wanted to visit with a very old friend of 60 years+ who lives in a retirement home, but had no knowledge of the location. The Staff at BW were most helpful with providing a local map and instructions. This allowed us to spend more time with our friend. Also, we have two high school friends who live in Forest Grove, who we have not seen in years, and with the help from the staff, were able to quickly find their home and spend quality time with them. The breakfast featured an in house cook who was most gracious and helpful. Her breakfast was real quality and everyone visiting enjoyed the breakfast, which featured a wide variety of choices. The cook featured two types of scrambled eggs for our selection, not found; usually. The staff were well versed and most helpful.

I can't say enough wonderful things about your staff! Renata at the front desk was a joy to deal with. She went above and beyond to be helpful, she even took money out of her own wallet to return money that the soda machine had chewed! Who does that!!! She was truly exceptional and answered all my silly questions! The room was perfect, quiet well maintained and very comfortable! The breakfast was also very good, well stocked and clean! I didn't get the women's name at breakfast but she was lovely also. I would 100% stay there again if my travels take me to the area.

This is an OK motel, nothing more. Among the least inviting of the BWs we have stayed in. Property and rooms are a little worn, though not shabby. Does have a nice indoor pool. Staff were reasonably helpful but young and inexperienced. Breakfast was good though not great. Multistory motel with NO ELEVATOR! This is in rural Oregon and it is among the most expensive BW's we have ever stayed in. I guess this is the best you can do in Forest Grove OR.

Best motel in its price range. Excellent staff. We have stayed at this motel every visit to Pacific University (over two years, now). This will be our only choice until our daughter graduates in two years.

The staff was polite, and helpful. They helped me find a grocery store for a quick necessity. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar had really good food. Disappointing the pool was broken.

Had a recent short notice business trip to Hillsboro. When I looked for hotels the prices were close to double what I paid to stay in downtown Seattle. High tech? The Best Western University Inn in Forest Grove was. A reasonable alternative just a few minute drive from Hillsboro. Not the same level as aHilton Garden but a nice clean room. They offer mini fridges in the rooms. Unfortunately mine didn't work.

Just minutes from Hillsboro situated in the midst of Oregon wine mecca. Close to everything the area has to offer. Beautiful country roads meandering through winery land. Couldn't believe how many of my favorite pinot noirs are are grown around at the surrounding vineyards. The hotel was more than what I could have hoped for. Updated rooms with premium linens and towels, a large indoor pool and spa, even a sauna. How awesome is that! Staff was super friendly and helpful, the manager greets the guests in the mornings and all the staff say hi. A complimentary full hot breakfast provided and completely stocked until closing. Thank you for a wonderful experience I can't wait to be back. My thanks to the crew at the Best Western University Inn & Suites. See you next time!

Hotel staff was friendly and inviting. My room had a strange smell and it gave me a headache the entire time I was there. It actually made it very difficult to sleep. I asked a co-worker who was also staying at the hotel if their room smelled and she said it did. I didn't have a trashcan in the room, so I put it in the sink in the living room, thinking the maid would see it and would give me a trashcan and take care of it. She didn't and I still didn't have a trashcan until the night before I left. I ended up throwing my trash out myself prior to getting the trashcan. I wouldn't stay at a BW again if it were up to me.

good location, good hotel, it is close to my customer. it is my first priority hotel I want to book but sometime fully booked. this is not good. anyway I am happy when I stayed in this hotel. I will chose this hotel whenever I am on business in this area.

It is a great hotel except the price is a little high. Being a college town with limit accommodations makes it easier to jack up the prices. I really wish they had better deals being that most parents who come to stay already have a large college tuition they are paying.

BW FG offers a Pacific University discount for the annual luau so we always stay here when attending the luau. The rooms are always clean and are spacious, free breakfast with good selection and free coffee are major factors in our deciding to always stay here, in addition to close distance (5 min. drive) to Pacific University. There are less expensive options in nearby Hillsboro, but the quality of service, convenience and comfortable accommodations at BW cannot be beat.

Lost my wallet with significant amount of cash in addition to credit, debit cards and ID. After an awesome hotel guest found and returned it to Jordan at the front desk he went out of his way to return it to me in tact and quickly! In this day and age what an awesome reminder of all that is good in life and humanity! Best Western University Inn and Suites hires top quality, honest and ethical employees that only add to the overall wonderful experience of staying there. One of the best hotels I have stayed at they do not have a elevator so if you can't do stairs request a room on the 1floor thay have a great breakfast and a hot tub that the water is hot not Luke warm like most hotels the room was nice and clean and as we had a suite we had a TV in the bed room and one in the sitting room don't for get to ask if they offer any discounts on the room when booking they won't offer them you have to ask the only thing was they didn't have any information book or paper that have the TV channels listed or near by place's to eat at or shop at they do have a Walmart near by that you can walk or drive to it is only a few blocks away

Great location for visiting our grandchildren in Forest Grove and a few came over for a swim. The room was large and clean with a small refrigerator, microwave, desk (free Wi-Fi) and an easy chair. The free breakfast had quite a variety and plenty of nutrition to get you through to a late lunch. We had a couple of glitches through the main desk, but the person was new. We have stayed here several times before without any issues. You can pay $150 for 2 in a King bed. You can pay even more for a room with a Jacuzzi.

Convenient to get toand from if you are in the area for Hillsboro business. For the value, it far exceeds any of the other chain properties in Hillsboro that all overprice themselves because the IT companies are usually paying for it. Great sports bar with very quality food and comfortable pricing just a couple of blocks away and...again...much better than the chain stuff you're engulfed with when staying in an overpriced metro area.

I have generally good luck with Best Westerns, but this place's staff really stood out, from the housekeeping crew, breakfast staff to the desk staff. They were all so helpful and friendly and made the stay very pleasurable. The breakfast is excellent and the staff was great, especially Kelly, who joyfully went out of her way to make breakfast great and help with everything that she could. The building was well maintained and tastefully decorated. We didn't have an opportunity to try the indoor pool or hot tub but they looked great too. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

What was explained as a short staff resulted in a below par stay, in which the room was not cleaned and product not replaced after the first night, the gym restroom was unclean and the paper towel dispenser broken so that the roll sat in a puddle of water on the sink. Front office staff was either unable or unwilling to offer compensation for the inconvenience.

Great value for the price. Free internet, parking and breakfast. Comfortable stay. I would recommend staying on the second floor in case you are sensitive to 'heavy feet' above. The exercise room is very small (treadmill, bicycle, and a bench to do crunches. We made use of the pool, Jacuzzi and sauna.

My wife researched on line for a hotel close to where I would need to be for a business meeting. There were very few options in this remote location but I was so thankful she chose this one. They told me there would be a continental breakfast but they had everything to choose from, eggs, bacon, waffles, etc. And it was actually very good. The staff was kind and attentive and the rooms were clean and well tended. I would stay here again.

Be aware when booking this property that there is NO elevator to the second floor. My husband has trouble hearing and did not understand when we checked in that we would be on the second floor with no elevator but 20 steps straight up. It was challenging.

My husband And I made an unexpected trip to see family when my grandmother became ill just before Christmas. We were unable to stay with family due to the holiday and some "septic" issues, so we needed an affordable room that would also be comfortable for my 6'3" husband with a back injury! Kaylee found us an incredible rate, made sure we had everything we needed and made a difficult situation so much easier! Her kindness and exceptional customer service enabled us to have a truly Merry Christmas- the housekeeping staff made sure our room was clean and well stocked and our room was lovely! So happy with our experience here and will definitely be back!

My husband, step son and I stayed at the Best Western University Inn & Suites in Forest Grove for a family get-together. We enjoyed the friendly service and comfortable bed at the hotel. I was especially pleased with how quiet the room was. We will definitely stay here again.

The room was just what I needed. The staff were very friendly. The internet was faster than what I'm used to in hotels, that was nice. I found the bed to be comfortable but was on the soft side. The breakfast was nothing special but it was fine. My only complaint is that the running water was quite loud through the pipes in the walls which was a bit annoying when I was trying to fall asleep.

Me and my wife came here to visit family but wanted our own space. This was a Beautiful hotel, and a pretty city. Lots to do, and the Service was amazing. The front desk lady Cindylou was very nice and helpful. will Deffinatly come Back again.

I cant say enough good things about BEST WESTERN University Inn & Suites, Forest Grove, OREGON. Everyone was helpful and kind. They made my family, my kids and I feel very welcome and at home. The check in was very easy. My wife asked if we can check out late and they took care of us. This is the best Best Western in the country.

Traveled with my family for the 5A state championship in Hillsboro, but found almost all of the hotels in the area were full. Found this little gem in Forest Grove, and enjoyed it far more than we expected to. The place was impeccably clean, and the staff was excellent. My kids loved the pool, and the hot tub was great as well - both very clean as well. I would absolutely stay here again. The city of Forest Grove was pretty cool, and access to OR 26 was easy, and quick trip to Hillsboro. Cheers!

This Best Western is in a little town in Oregon. I think it's the only name brand hotel there. The front desk staff were very caring and helpful. They even upgraded me to a queen suite. Really nice looking big indoor pool that I did not have the pleasure of using. Breakfast had plenty of items and was kept well stocked. I would reccomend this hotel to my co-workers and friends if they needed a place to stay while in the area.

The staff at this location are extremely friendly and go out of their why to ensure you are happy. Even the young lady who handled breakfast was so polite. Everyone was the perfect with speaking nice conversation, providing information and recommendations (outside the hotel). I would have stayed longer if I'd been in the area.

I stayed here for Pacific University Family Weekend. I personally did not find the property up to the standards of other Best Western Hotels. This is actually an older hotel though the owners have kept it well maintained. The Pros--- Close to Pacific University Large Room The Cons- If the hotel is full, so is the parking lot. 2 story building and no elevator which is a problem if you have a heavy suitcase. There was a lot of empty space in the King Bed room, maybe so they can bring in rollaways? A comfortable sofa which makes into a bed makes more sense then leaving a space the size of two rollaways unused. Though there is plenty of room for luggage! There is nothing fresh about breakfast---everything is full of preservatives and artificial ingredients. I have food intolerances and the only thing I could eat was an english muffin and peanut butter. The jams are loaded with high fructose corn syrup, as is the syrup. The eggs, well lets just say I question whether there is an egg in the mix, as the packaging has a long list of ingredients. This hotel is fairly expensive for a Best Western, though when you are almost the only game in town, you can charge what the market will bear. I booked through my husband's Corporate discount website and the hotel would not give me Best Western Points. Typically on arrival our account is credited. Smoking is allowed outside the front door, and one must walk through the smokers to enter and exit the hotel. And, the employees smoke outside which means there is usually someone outside smoking. Would I stay here again, probably as it isn't bad, and it is very convenient to the school.

Great time in Forest Grove for Family Weekend. Love to stay @ Best Western, as it is close to the University and the rooms are very nice. The breakfast provided is great and makes a nice quick bite to eat before getting out to explore for the day. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

I have never seen a more helpful group than this staff in Forest Grove. They really go above and beyond to make your stay great. The facilities are nice and the rooms are great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Booked through Booking.com, needed to cancel, have cancellation email from Booking.com. This hotel charged my card for two nights anyway and now I am caught in the middle of these two Giant corporations. The charges for two nights exceed $225 and neither company will give me an immediate refund. I have to wait at least five to seven additional days to satisfy booking.com policy of giving best western adequate time to response and reverse their error. My money is held hostage by both parties. Gotta be a better way to reserve a hotel room!

I cant say anything negative about this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable, and rooms were quiet. It's really nice to have a variety of breakfast items to choose from, and its all included.

Room was clean, staff very kind and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. The pool was open 24 hours and our children loved it. Had a convenient smoking area for those who smoke. Very happy with our experience.

Stayed for a wedding weekend, chose it over the McMenamin's next door to ensure a private bathroom. The hotel is fairly updated and clean. The breakfast was good and had more than enough options. The staff were very nice but seemed understaffed. On one day my room was not serviced until nearly 7 PM. The plumbing also needs updating...my shower and sink did not drain properly. There is not much around, so probably your best bet in the area. It is on a very busy road so cannot walk to anything directly.

I stayed here w/2 adult sisters & my mother (in the same room!) for 5 days; as we were out West for a family wedding (in Forest Grove, OR) We all flew in from different parts on the East Coast (so we don't know the area) & right from our arrival we were welcomed by friendly, helpful & courteous staff. Each day we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, extra little "snacks" they offered & lots of the staff's time and effort helping us find places to "tour", eat & anything we needed to make our stay pleasant & enjoyable. The hotel is clean, updated and has a fantastic team of employees. I (We) would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stay here often during work travel and really enjoy my stay here. The rooms are clean and have updated furniture and flooring. They serve a great breakfast and the staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel to guests.

I made a mistake in booking our reservation. The receptionist worked with management to correct the problem, even though it was my fault. We had an excellent room and a very pleasant stay. Everyone was cordial and helpful.

The room had a improperly working toilet. The outside heat pump unit was very dirty. poor price fro an poor motel. location is not within the portland oregon area and still the price was extremely high. Will not stay here again. Will be calling Best Western headquarters customer service and complaining about this motel.

Spent a week at this hotel while on business rooms clean and a good breakfast was provided, made use of the indoor pool which was a nice size and the jaccuzzi was good and the hotel is nicely situated for local bars and restaurants.

Our 2 night stay was wonderful! From the time we arrived to the time we left, the staff was great. Food was excellent in the Continental breakfast area. Our room was swell. The bed was wonderful. All in all, we had a most delightful stay in Forest Grove.
