Best Western Inn

I am always a bit worried about Inn's off the highway, but this was a pleasant surprise. The Inn was very clean, the room was large, with a nice seating area, very clean and comfortable bed. We parked right outside out door. The Inn is pet friendly and the fee is very reasonable compared to most. Close to restaurants, gas and coffee. Free breakfast. What more do you want for the price, which was also very reasonable. Would stay again without hesitation.

The hotel was nice, plenty of areas to walk my dogs with waste bags and trash cans provided, nice hot breakfast and beautiful pool. Non smoking room smelled terribly of smoke, but otherwise it was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating (except the evening desk clerk who seemed bothered that I was there).

Check was a little less than expected with room access, but after that a good value for the money and close to I95. Friendly cleaning staff and breakfast staff. Would perhaps used again if traveling south next year.

Clean rooms, outdoor access, takes animals, has a pool, Close by gas and Starbucks. Low price, great for a stop over, beds comfortable, Food was nothing to write home about. Had some eggs and hashbrowns no fruit just a fruit cup toast and waffle. Coffee was good.

Very nice clean place. Room, bathroom and kitchen area nice and clean. Parking is right outside the rooms. Restaurants within walking distance. Ruby Tuesdays, Cracker Barrell, Steak House and McDonald's.

We stayed here on 12/30/23. There is BLACK MOLD in the corners and along the wall and ceiling above the shower. There is also MOLD in the cooling/heater thermostat (see pics). I can only imagine what was on the carpet, so I wouldn't let our dog lay on the floor. And unbeknownst to us, the refrigerator wasn't working and we lost all our cold items - money wasted. We should have kept them in the cooler. PLEASE BE AWARE OF MOLD & HEALTH ISSUES at this hotel - there are other hotels just down the street. The regional manager and hotel manager need to acknowledge the health issues in the rooms & correct/fix them for future guests instead of ignoring guests.

The young lady at check in was soo polite & personable she didn't miss a beat did everything in stride with a smile & made sure we had the room that suited us. The room was clean temperature right on, beds were clean & comfortable with pillow choices, shower unit rather than a tub, my preference. Breakfast was outstanding something for every taste. The usual powdered eggs were done right (lol) sausage potato pepper scramble was yummy! There was a waffle station, yogurt, fruit cups, hot & cold cereal, the cinnamon bread someone had in the toaster smelled divine. And more.

Terrible experience with that Best Western. Only good thing, close to I-95. The train near by woke up us twice during the night. Late check-in after midnight. My son is in a wheelchair so I asked for a first floor room. The attitude of the lady changed and she told me she will take a 100$ deposit on my credit card. They charged more than that and 2 weeks later told me they never took a deposit, but it still was on my bill. The room was too cold so we turned off the A/C. The room started to smell mold but it was late and my son was sleeping. Not very clean either but it was just for one night so we didn't ask to change. Breakfast was just ok. Waffles machine didn't work well. Not the best place, just ok. The week after, I saw a new transaction on my credit card of 150$ without any explications and the deposit was still there. They never reach us to explain. I messaged the motel and they told us that we were lucky they only charged 150$ because we caused damage to the room, saying that the smell was coming from the mattress and they had to change it because of us!! They told us the room smelled bad because we put a diaper in the trash and still smelled a week after… They refused to pay us back. Then I found on other reviews that we are not the only one with that problem. DON'T GO THERE!

Stayed here on a Monday night on our way south. Pleasantly surprised. Our room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the room looked newly painted (no scuffs on the wall). This motel was very quiet. Breakfast had a good variety and was good but the actual breakfast room is a little small. Walking distance to restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Always a pleasure to stay here. Very accommodating staff and clean comfortable rooms I give it five stars. Close to all the amenities you might need. I have stayed here for several years for business and can count on the consistent quality time after time

I am happy to start to stay in your Best Western hotels and since the last fifteen days I was in Best western in Tampa sin Florence BestWestern and now in Fairfax BestWestern I hope I will stay in your hotels for the future as long as you provide the necessary promotional and BestWestern Reward points

I mostly travel with my dogs and am so grateful for for the majority of BW's being pet friendly. Not only are the staff at every location friendly, they are incredibly kind and observant. BW will always be my first choice when traveling.

This Best Western is average at best. The front desk clerks failed to thank me for being a Diamond Select member or acknowledge my loyalty to the brand. The room was clean and generally comfortable however it felt damp. Breakfast was also very average and food was not hot (eggs/potatoes). Cool at best. The price was very competitive but I may not stay here in the future.

The bed was comfortable, room was clean, and Staff were friendly! There are multiple restaurants within walking distance. I stayed 2 nights and felt safe and welcome. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Service at the front desk terrible. Made reservation online and the desk worker could not run my credit card or ask for a second one. She had no idea what to do. Immediately cancelled my reservation and left me without a place to sleep at 11:30 at night. Shady place to say the least.

Perfect location close to the interstate abundant restaurants and gas stations. Room was clean well appointed and had everything I needed. Sleep quality was great, breakfast in the morning at everything you could ask.

This hotel will stupidly charge you a pet fee for every room you book even if you only have one pet. Eight rooms, one dog, eight pet fees. Beware of this nonsensical ripoff. Find a different hotel if you are travelling with a pet. In fact, better to find a different hotel period. This hotel is very mediocre.

Room was comfortable. Plenty of room and quiet enough for rest. Planning on staying again on my way home. I was a little disappointed at the breakfast selections. I was in a bit of a hurry so I could have missed something.

I could look past the tiny bathroom where you can barely close the door and the fan/light combo that sounds like a 747 taking off, but I cannot overlook the dangerous hollow bed frames. We traveled with our cat who, being a typical cat, explored the room as soon as she was let out of her crate. She promptly slipped into the bedframe with no way of getting out except to call housekeeping to lift the mattress and box spring to release her. This happened as soon as we arrived. Obviously this situation is untenable. How could I let her out of her crate when I wouldn't be able to lift the bed to get her out? She spent a miserable night cooped up in her crate after travelling for 11 hours in a car and looking to another 10 hours in the car the next day. Customer service was useless. Do NOT stay here unless you're willing to deal with this dangerous issue.

Room was clean. Could have used an ottoman or foot stool. No outlet in toilet/tub room for nightlight. Hard to regulate heat. Fridge was ok. Loved being on the bottom floor and parking right outside the room.

A very nice to stay close to everything very well kept clean and comfortable rooms what more can you ask for, the items that they supply for breakfast are several items and are very tasty. The hotel is located right next to route 95 and next to several gas stations and convenience stores.

Clean, spacious, the room was ACTUALLY non-smoking and smelled great. The staff were pleasant and professional and helpful. And the FULL breakfast had many tasty options, giving us energy for a long day of travel ahead.

This hotel is vastly improved since the last time I stayed there. The room door worked. The room was lean, and no mold in the bathroom. All the appliances worked. The breakfast was fully stocked. The desk people were pleasant.

Best Western is a great place to stay it is quiet friendly and clean you can tell the sheets were changed smelled fresh wrinkle free looked so inviting to rest just love the rooms so clean will always stay there

This is a dog friendly Hotel. They charged only $20 for our doggie. You can't find that rate anywhere else. Believe me, I've tried! Bare-bones motel room but the bed was very comfortable and it was quiet. We slept very well.

There are just decorative/non-functioning curtains that hang down the side of the sheer curtains, forcing us to dress in the very small bathroom. Then there is the fact that a freight train runs practically next door to the Inn, one which went through, bells and whistles, well after midnight.

Stayed for an overnight while traveling I-95 with our furry friend (German Shepard). This was a great stop for the night, room clean, felt safe, pet friendly, slept well (except train horn in middle of night), front staff friendly. Breakfast was so-so, but for the price it was a good stop, would stop here again.

Check in was fast and friendly. Room was a good size. Bed was fine, but the sheet were old and gray. Located near i95. Plenty of restaurants and vice shops nearby. Free parking. Room was clean, but dated. Fine for 1 night. Didn't have breakfast.

My number 494221660 reservation for the 8th of November. complaint# CR5801145 i think. i am a 67-year-old man that had to use bathroom... RIGHT NOW. i was treated like i was a black bum on the streets and BEST WESTERN desk clerk refuse open the bathroom. (Combination lock) i placed my reservation on the desk. she still did not open door. (she's looking up my reservation) i yelled, “OPEN THE DOOR I AM PISSING ON MYSELF" half my load in my under wear. I never talked to the manager. they cancel my reservation. and send me in the streets with wet cloths; not knowing if i had money, was dropped off or out of town; WHATEVER. i will be calling elderly hot land and B.B.B to see what my right were to use of a customer bathroom. she did not let me talk to the manager, i only talk to her in a manner of a man ashamed to have pissed on myself. I WANT ACTION TAKEN AND MY BONUS POINT THAT I WOULD HAVE RECIEVE PUT ON THE BOOKS. i gave them time. they offered me nothing. This is how they treat their guest.

The rooms was clean, pet friendly and it seemed like a nice quiet area. We liked that there is a restaurant right beside the hotel. I was towing a boat and parking was a bit tight but we got it done. The front office staff were great.

Rooms are clean and look renovated, except for furniture. Comfortable, clean accommodations. Staff professional and pleasant. Microwave and coffee make within room; also coffee in lobby. Happy to have chosen.

I liked this place because it was quite and got a good night sleep. Plus it was close to work. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Florence. .... The hostess was very polite aswell . They are doing a good job.

Clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy on and off the highway. Needs more parking to accommodate large trucks and campers. Nearby restaurants add to the convenience. Checking in and out was an easy process.

We had some issues with the room cleanliness. The headboard was dirty. One of the lights did not work and the door barely opened. Some of my kids were unable to open the door due to it sticking in place. I had to pull it extremely hard to get it open and I am a grown man.

Everything worked as it should from beginning to end. The clerk was pleasant and efficient and was able to locate my rewards number. Was a great stay and the breakfast was top notch. Would stay again.

The hotel was clean but looked like it was half way through being renovated. The light switch was falling off the wall, bathroom hand rail looked like it was super glued to the shower and the mirror was melted. The floors are vinyl plank which is nice and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and it was in a good location but would pick a different hotel next time we are in the area.

We didn't expect much, but were so happy with this property. Crisp white bedding, looks like new carpets, and bathroom was immaculately clean. There was a coffee maker and shampoos in the room. For $89? Wow! And then breakfast in a lovely sunny lobby, super clean and kids we're happy with all the fun options for them. Not a hot breakfast but you had oatmeal, bagels, yogurts, and delicious coffee. Wonderful hotel minutes from 95.

The Best Western is a clean, comfortable inn with friendly , helpful staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equiped - iron, ironing board, hair drier, microwave, refrigerator. The breakfast is really well presented and includes most breakfast foods including "magtic machine" pancakes.

My room was spotless both visits and on my second stay rhe staff was super. My only complaint is the pool. Although it's obviously been vacuumed, at 6 pm it was covered with dead bugs, so I didn't put my face in the water. The outside shower to rinse off with pool towels was a nice touch.

The continental breakfast was "bare bones." The bathroom facility in the lobby was closed upon arrival and still closed the next morning. A disturbing odor was noticed in the outside area (not in the room). Bed was comfortable.

Shopping at Hamrick's was great and you need to try the Red Bone Alley restaurant on Palmetto . It is out of this world. They are very accessible from the Best Western. Front Desk attendants are very friendly and accommodating. We were there from Va. to meet family and friends from Florida to shop and have fun for a couple of days.

upon entering the room the overall appearance was clean. clean bed clean white towels and the furniture was free of dust. None of the furniture was broken, scarred or chips. The bathtub and toilet was clean and free of grime. My room was well clean!!

I honestly recommend this hotel to anyone. The prices are great and the staff is friendly and professional. I only stay here when I come to Florence South Carolina .. it's a must for me and my family since 2018

This Best Western is old and worn and not very clean. The door to our room was filthy, and the top latch lock took force to close. The bathroom door was loose from the upper hinges and would not shut unless you lifted the whole door up. Everything from carpet, furniture, counter, tiles etc was old, and in need of repair or replacement. Even the lobby was dark and dreary, “breakfast” area closed except to pick up a “to- go” breakfast bag and leave. Worst Best Western I have ever been in and in need of a major over haul.

I always enjoy my stay at best western Florence. Fallon and the other ladies at the front desk are always nice, housekeepers are nice too & always take care of my needs. Rooms are clean. Breakfast choices are perfect for something quick to start the day.

This Best Western Needs Up Dated. Carpets are very dirty , don't walk around in your bear feet..Room was old and wasn't very clean. Parking was good. Very close too many restraints and gas stations. next time I will spend the extra 20 dollars and go to a better hotel.

I should have gone with my first instinct to sanitize the room thoroughly before allowing my family to settle in. The room had an undesturbing odor. The room was a non-smoking room, but it reeked of a previous smoke smell and there were burn marks on edge of the tub/shower. We arrived at late hours(11p.m.) My daughter was really displeased with the room, yet I didn't want to reside to sleeping in the car.

The room was very nice and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a Cracker Barrel and a Ruby Tuesday in walking distance. We had no issues during our stay. The front desk went out of their way to get us the best rate.

Easy access to highway. RIght next to Cracker Barrel and Ruby Tuesday. Really great size fridge. Good beds, clean smell in the room. No lotion among the toiletries, which was a pity as it gets really dry in hotel rooms. Staff not wearing masks.

Appreciated the hospitality of the staff, especially after arriving so late at night. Couldn't have asked for more. The front desk supervisor, Fallon, was lovely to deal with in particular. Room was clean and spacious for a reasonable price.

BW...close to the highway, reasonable cost, extraordinarily friendly and competent staff. Our room was clean and updated, Could not have asked for better on our road trip from Massachusetts to Florida.

We went to Cracker Barrel and there were hotels all around. So glad we chose this one! It couldn't have been cleaner. That's important when you are traveling. Check in was easy although phone customers seemed to have priority over in-person check ins. Heartily recommend this hotel.

I was going home from a visit. I have been using BW for a few years now. And I can bring my dogs when I travel. I have not been able to bring them. The clerk was very knowledgeable in advising me on perks. It is appreciated.

Staff is very courteous . Location is right off I95 with many restaurants and gas stations available. Rooms very neat. Unfortunately, they only offered a bag breakfast rather than having a full breakfast.

We have stayed at this Best Western for years. We have traveled with our two dogs and this was ideal for them. The most recent stay there were numerous issues. Mold in the bathroom, no breakfast, pool closed and even vending machines broken. I don't know if these problems were Covid related or not but they were distressing. Maybe they will get their act together but right now I wouldn't recommend staying there.

This hotel could use a room update, but it was clean and sufficient for an overnight stay. It did the trick. Got a good rest, felt safe and there were many places to eat right nearby. Ruby Tuesday, Cracker Barrell and many other chains near by. There is a train track but we didn't hear any go by when we were there. I would recommend for an overnight stay. Woman at checkin was knowledge and helpful. Very helpful and told us everything we needed to know for our stay.

Have stayed at other Best Western hotels that's why we picked this but this was run down and dirty. Smelled of cigarettes but was non smoking room. Broken refrigerator and thermostat. No one ever picked up the lobby phone when we called. Couldn't use the pool no chlorine. Would not stay here again

The hotel served it purpose on our trip to Florida. . Easy in and out, reasonable price and clean. I have stayed at Best Western before and will stay again. The breakfast was in a brown bag and the room had coffee.

Clean, recently updated, VERY capable & friendly front-desk staff, non-"rip-off" pricing, a Cracker Barrel across the parking lot...we were SO glad we chose this venue for a family meet-up. We were disappointed that the advertised pool was locked-up/closed, but it was a short stay and not a deal breaker. Excellent value and great experience all-around!

If you need a place just for sleep and a shower, it works. Surface clean, clean sheets, no bugs (that I saw). Just don't look too closely at the shower or corners of the room. Did love that the place was pet friendly, though the rooms are fully carpeted so make sure your pet is house trained.

We were so happy to find a hotel. This was neat and clean and the service was very friendly and with a smile. All appreciated. Because of the holiday, it was nearly impossible to find a hotel at the last minute. So I was very grateful to find this and was willing to pay a premium. The cost was much more than I would normally have paid for this hotel. But again, it was nice, clean, friendly and it was AVAILABLE for us. Thank you Best Western!!!

We chose this hotel for it's location on our way home from Florida. First of all, if you liked the movie "My Cousin Vinny' then this is the place for you. Yes ,the freight train runs right behind it, whistle blowing and all! During check in , we were told there is a $100.00 deposit. Never any of the BW's we stayed in required that. The deposit is in case the non-smoking room was not left in good condition, if we smoked in it or used the room phone for outgoing calls. Why would we get a non-smoking room if we were on-smokers! And they should state that on their website. It could take up to 15 days for the $100 to be put back on your card. The young lady at the front desk was not the friendliest and parking was scarce. The next morning we went to the front office for coffee. We were told they don't do that anymore, there's a coffee maker in your room. I understand the Covid restrictions but again, all the other BW'S at least had fresh coffee & juice available in the lobby. I guess it's back to Wyndham hotels our next trip.

Everybody that I talked to while staying here was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Fallon checked us in and made sure that everything was in order, I was struggling to find a place to stay due to some travel limitations but she made me feel extremely welcome here. Overall a great place to stay.

We travel a lot and love rooms where you can park right outside your door and most hotels like that are horrible and this hotel was very good very clean and would definitely recommend anyone to stay there

This place is not the best. Rusty looking water came out of the sink. The beds looked clean but we felt like we needed to use hand sanitizer after washing our hands. It is located next to a train track. Only heard the train twice. If you are in a pinch for a place to stop then it is ok but take precautions.

Best Western Hotel in Florence SC exit #164 off I95 is not the best hotel to stay in. The lady at check in is not all that helpful and attitude seems to need some improvement. Then the hotel hit you for a $100.00 security deposit in case you cause damage to the room during your rest stop. The room is poorly maintained and the climate control system makes you either too hot or too cold, hard to adjust. Parking is abundant but I would say it needs more security lights. My wife and I checked in and then shortly thereafter decided not to stay. Well the hotel clerk did not want to reverse the charge on our credit card so we called BW corporate and they handled the situation very politely and professionally. This all points to the fact that not all BW hotels are worth staying overnight. A final observation, the hotel clerk did not even offer us another room after we indicated the issue with the climate control conditioner as I doubt she cared about our comfort or business

This location is poorly run and very outdated . Staff is very unprofessional . I am a rewards holder but will look for another location before I stay at the Florence SC . again. We travel from Florida to Maine and back each year and was very disappointed.

How can you make it more enjoyable? How about, you know, actually cleaning. This room was barely acceptable. There were stains on the walls, and something that looked remarkably like blood on the wall behind the nightstand. The carpet was FILTHY and the bathroom was barely acceptable. The doors, everything, just not clean. This is the age of Covid and cleanliness should be everyone's number 1 priority. 2nd, there appeared to be a drug dealer a couple of doors down, a couple of men sitting outside the door with cars coming that would stay a few minutes then leave. I definitely did not feel safe. The woman behind the front desk was minimally polite. I understand that the lobby was closed and I couldn't use the rest room while I waited but despite the fact that I told her I really needed to find a restroom as I hadn't stopped driving since Jacksonville FL, she was excruciatingly slow for check in, stopping a couple of times to take phone calls. I was so exhausted that I chose to stay but will definitely not be coming back. Plus, it was pretty pricey for the area. I stayed there because I had stayed at 2 other Best Westerns this trip and they were GREAT, I assumed that would be the case here. Guess who is the sucker on that bet :)

Rooms smell, Noisy outside, They require a Security deposit even when using a credit card. Lobby is closed apparently the owners decision as other hotels on the same street had their lobbies open. Very unfriendly desk staff.

Do not be deceived by the pictures. This hotel is rundown, not clean and unfriendly. Despite the condition of the room, we attempted to spend the night since we arrived late in the evening. However the hotel was so noisy we had a difficult time sleeping, which was made worse by our dog barking at the children running around outside our room after midnight. We ended leaving the hotel at 1 am and continuing with our drive home instead of not sleeping in an uncomfortable hotel room. The hotel was not accommodating, even after BW HQ got involved.

Traveling with my wife for leisure trip. Many rooms are convenient to parking on first floor. Good value, clean, convenient to local resources. Room was clean, bedding comfortable, tv stations have good options parking well lit. Breakfast options were the most limited we experienced over a week of different hotels, understand covid limitations but this needs to be improved as other hotels have done.

i made reservations at this hotel prior to leaving not wanting to take a chance on availability so i left ny to drive to florida. upon arriving late afternoon at this best western check in was super fast and was given my key. the breakfast was discontinued of course due to covid but a to go bag was provided in the morning. simple but not enough. room was SPOTLESS AND CLEAN. even did my own cleaning just for my well being and sanitized everything. plenty of food and gas choices at this location right off I95. area was bit seedy for me but it was for one night and i was in the hotel only.

Only upstairs rooms available and my husband is disabled. That left me to carry cooler and suitcases upstairs by myself. People walking around outside at night. It made me uncomfortable. We were told we weren't allowed to have pets, which was fine because we didn't have any, but there were cats walking around (which my husband is allergic to) and a dog barking outside our door. Front desk girl at check in wasn't in the office. Had to wait for her to come back, talking on her phone while she was rude checking us in.

This hotel is wonderful and Fallon at the front desk was so helpful! She went above and beyond helping me with directions and letting me get coffee. She even thanked me for being a rewards member and signed me up for a current promotion! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Service was great Fallon signed me up for the rewards very nice person the room was nice, locations was ok, what I liked best is that I was able to get a room without any hassle, my least is that little noise going on and fussing going on after 2:00 a.m.

Beware of noise ordinances! Dogs started barking at 7:10 am and finally stopped around 9am. We were traveling with two cancer patients who needed to rest. We love dogs but allowing them to bark, non stop, is very disrespectful to other guests who needed rest Or simply wanted to relax. Barking dogs beyond hotels control.

Great location just off the interstate. Several restaurants nearby that you can walk to. Easy if you have a dog, small area to walk area but is sufficient. Rooms were somewhat quiet. Check in staff was very nice and accommodating. We needed a bottom floor which they were able to give us.

We were heading home from the Keys and we always stop in at this Hotel. Plenty of room for my truck and boat trailer. They like my dog. I always get great service and we like the early bfast. $th year in a row!

This location isn't very nice. Room was dirty, pillows horrible & no blankets just bed cover. Rugs were dirty. Also breakfast was very limited and was not very good. Waited at front desk for 10 min before someone checked us in.

Not our best experience at the Best Western chain, mostly due to cranky front desk staff. It was Christmas Day so we understand they would rather have not been working. Not very helpful when we needed to find a place for dinner. Room was OK. Could use an update.

We chose Florence as a good first night on a trip from Pennsylvania to the Keys. Reasonably price, clear, and a good breakfast. Very convenient to I95. The check-in and was quick and the personnel were very helpful in recommending good restaurant for dinner. I would stay here again.

We stayed at others in Florence and a friend recommended best western and we are glad we switched to best western. We will not try any others in the future and will definitely give our recommendation to others

Fallon at check in was great. Super friendly & welcoming. Told me about the area. The room are spacious with comfortable beds. Everything was clean, breakfast selection is good and staff are friendly. Will stay again and recommend.

While driving back from Florida we stayed at the BW in Florence South Carolina. The hotel is very close to the I95 but far enough not to get the highway noise. It is very well located near many restaurants and gas stations. The room, staff and overall hotel service including the breakfast were excellent. Would recommend

Fallon at the Front Desk helped us throughly without any contingency's. It made our stay with our service dog wonderful and we can't wait to come back in the future! A must stay off the 95 exit! 10/10

I will never stay in this town again. Train tracks right by the hotels and roaring through town blowing their whistles. Staff at this hotel was very inattentive - made mistakes at check-in, no-one around at check-out, breakfast items 45 minutes late coming out initially.

Snow-bird traveling south to get out of the winter storms I stay in Florence at this best Western for years I think it's very clean the staff is excellent the kitchen for breakfast is excellent food also very clean I would recommend everyone or anyone to stay at this best Western I love it

Perfect place for an overnighter, clean and well maintained. The wonderful beds gave us much needed sleep. The hotel is pet friendly at a very reasonable price. The friendly staff seems to truly enjoy their jobs. We will definitely stay again!

The room key card and internet didn't work our entire stay. Staff made excuses the problems were our fault. Upon checking in our room had been cancelled and I was charged. She said we must have booked with a 3rd party to create the issue but I booked thru best western website. Will not be back here.

Our BW experiences overall have been very satisfactory. This particular BW (Florence, SC) was trashy - no attempt to clean up the cigarette butts and other trash outside, a less-than-caring attitude from the staff.

All of the hotels in the area were about the same star level and price so we figured as long as it was clean and we felt safe we couldn't go wrong. That was the wrong assumption - it was neither - your best bet would be to chose somewhere else. There is definitely a cleanliness issue. Booked and paid for two rooms for our travel party of 5 and ended up all staying in one because of the poor condition of the second. The smell upon entry was so horrendous we couldn't move past the doorway. In the room we did stay in the amount of hair remaining from previous occupants would leave you to believe it had not been cleaned. While it seems some aspects have been remodeled other things have gone into disrepair. Stains in toilet, water damage around mini fridge, etc. The poor plastic excuse of a swing bar lock leaves safety into question and the parking lot was allowed to be a party area for the room below us. At least 7 people coming in and out of ground floor rooms with pitbull dogs smoking weed late into the night. Luckily it eventually started to rain. The rain also pooled on the stairs leaving to dangerous conditions especially for my mobility limited mother (we asked for a ground floor room but could not be accomodated). They definitely need to do better with the prices they are charging.

There are numerous chain motels at the Florence intersection and I cannot recommend this Best Western. The decor was shabby (although the place looked clean) - however, I got bitten three times by bedbugs. Breakfast was a typical BW offering.

Stayed here overnight while on the road. Am disabled and requested an accsesible room. Very clean. nice decor. Good size bathroom with a tub but enough handrails to get in and out of tub safely. Both regular and hand held shower heads. Hotel had a portable shower seat in the bathroom to use. Right next to Ruby Tuesday restaurant and very close to couple others. Nice breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, waffels, cereals, breads etc. Staff very helpful and friendly. Normally dont stay at this chain but will consider them in the future. Next time we sleep on the road while going to visit our son will stop at this hotel again.

While staying here I had a minor problem that the OWNER of the hotel personally took care of. Kaye (Sp?) went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Once here, you can walk to dinner. Great location right off of Rt 95. Will definitely stay here again!

Friendly staff and good dinner choices real close. Very clean, and I looked close! The bed was ok. Breakfast was like any other Best Wester, but the layout here was excellent. Most places everything is all together and it gets crowded, not here. The food was spread out and well taken care of. If you are a light sleeper you will not enjoy being real close to the train tracks, didn't bother me. All hotels at this exit will have the train issue. I'll gladly stay here again.

Front desk employee was very friendly. The room was very clean and the beds were very soft. The only thing that was off was I reserved through Travelocity and optioned for the pay when you arrive which they did not wait for me to arrive. They took the money out around 3pm and I didn't get there until almost 9pm. The only reason I mention this is because I was having a horrible bank day because Disney world was holding up almost 800 dollars of my money that day and I just about had the money in there. Had to have hubby put some extra into my checking account just in case.

Had problems with check-in manager didn't want to give me the rates i was given when i made my reservations and at check out i was told that 1 room was not paid for when i paid for 2 rooms at check-in. Other than that my stay was very good.

Room upon entering looked promising. Once all unpacked and showered we pulled down the covers to discover worm-like bugs crawling around. Being just a few I caught them in tissue and flushed them. Attempted to climb back into bed saw more... moved the pillow and they were everywhere!!! I called the front desk and they asked me to catch some and bring them down to the front desk!!!! What!!!! And she says have all your things packed and we will move your room... we did. We were assigned another room. We payed for a king and they moved us to 2 queen beds. Told us the room was in the other building. It was not! Back to the original building we go! Now it is 11 pm and we had traveled 14 hours prior to this ! No elevators and very hot and humid outside! We checked every inch of this room for bugs and decided to stay in this room although we have to sleep in separate beds! We attempted to sleep but we both kept feeling as though bugs were on us. The only reason we stayed at this hotel is because we had our daughter and grandkids with us in another room (which we also checked for bugs) the breakfast was simple and just ok. Trying to locate plain half and half was a challenge. They had all the flavored ones covering up what looked like 10 or so plain ones... when the girl dug down to find them she told my husband that he should do the driving and not me! Rude! I didn't know I would have to dig my way to the bottom for half and half and quite frankly the rude comment was just not necessary! We travel very frequently and we do believe that this is one of the absolute worst experiences Ever!!!

On line I seen where the room was in the price range of $70's but they would not match the price. By this time I could not get a room anywhere else in this area. Sort of had to pay their asking price. Not right. Normally Best Western will meet the price.

WiFi wouldn't work and the owner couldn't get the problem fixed. My keys stopped working randomly and when I called to get my itemized receipt to file my expense report the GM refused to send it to me saying because I used a third party I had to get it from them. I booked the hotel through our business travel agent, Concur, not expedia or orbitz. Staff just doesn't seem to really care. My room was pretty clean but smelled a bit strange.

I had already made this trip once before and Florence was the first overnight stop after driving 12hrs from Florida. This facility is easily to arrive at getting off I-75. The front desk staff greeting me promptly and friendly. My reservations were in order and because I was traveling with my father-in-law, the had our rooms next to each other. Also on the first floor to help accommodate him.

I stayed here one night on my way to Florida. It is right of I 95. This is an older style motel with outside entrances, on two levels. None the less, the room was quite comfortable, well kept and clean. The staff were professional and friendly. There is a Ruby Tuesday restaurant right across the parking lot, which I found very convenient after a very long drive.

The room they initially gave us stank of strong cigarette smoke and was very shabby. Plus there was a party going on in the room next to us. We immediately notified the desk and they changed our room. No cigarette odor but had a mildew odor, there were stains on the ceiling and the room just didn't feel "clean". We stayed here last November and it was so-so, but this time it was horrible. We will never stay at this facility again. I don't understand how corporate Best Western allows this use of their name associated with this very low quality hotel.

Try to find Best Western Locations if you can..new to us..have used other companies in the past but BW has been nicer and many times less expensive Wish we had list of available locations and proximity to Interstate highways.

My family stayed in two adjoining rooms and people in both rooms were bitten by bugs. One caused an allergic reaction and required medical care. The rooms were surface clean but old and grimey. The sofa mattress was encased in a clear plastic bag which made sleeping for everyone in the room impossible because of the constant crinkling sound. The A/C unit was loud, but not nearly as loud as the multiple trains passing by 50 yds from the front of the hotel. The train tracks and crossing are in very close proximity of the hotel so expect to hear the train blowing its horn throughout the night. There are much better options while traveling I-95. We will never make the mistake of staying here again.

Where to start? Hair in the shower and on the bed. It was a smoking room. Not what we asked for. The ceiling paint in spots was worn bare to the sheetrock. The metal outdoor stairs were severely rusted through.

Do not stay at this hotel. Worst management. Stayed there for three nights for a outdoor show at the Florence Center and two of them my room was left open all day anyone could have walked in while we were out. reported to Front desk person and manager. Both basically called me a liar. then someone changed my room rate in the computer and they tried to tell me I was wrong.

This is the first time we've traveled with our dog and we are so pleased with how this Best Western Inn accommodated us. We were put on the first floor so that walking the dog was convenient. The room was clean as a whistle and very comfortable beds, towels, amenities.

Although we asked for a pet friendly room, there was no evidence that a pet had stayed there before; the carpet and sofa were spotless. The motel offered plenty of grassy areas, complete with doggie bags and disposal bins. The only reason I didn't rate the stay excellent was because the walls could be a little bit thicker.

Sink didn't drain, front desk didn't seem to care insisted the sink did have a drain. Room stank like an ashtray and the heater was noisy. Breakfast minimal but ok for a quick snack not a full breakfast. (They didn't claim to have full breakfast)

Easy on and off 95, we were headed home and just needed a room for the night. I was tired of sleeping on a mattress softer than ours at home. The room was fine, clean and nothing extra, the price was fair and the staff went above and beyond! We would stay here again.

We stay at this Best Western each time we travel to Florida. Always a good experience. Restaurants within walking distance and very nice staff. Pretty good breakfast and clean outside area except for the pet owners that even though bags are provided, they choose not to pick up after their dogs.

I am not an outdoor motel person and I have had bad experiences with Best Westerns in the past however, his hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed. The location is within walking distance to restaurants.

Long day driving, needed a place to crash for night....just a little sketchy, not terrible, but probably wouldn't stay for an extended period. Noisy because everyone was just staying for a night, so there's a lot of early morning car door slamming. Room was ok at best, breakfast was barely adequate hotel fare. For a quick flop it's ok, for an extended stay, pay more.

The area did not feel safe. Needed a good night sleep after a long drive and that didn't happen. Very nosy and not comfortable. This hotel does not worth the price . staff at the reception not friendly, The room had a smell of cheap cleaning products. . Place needs a make over. Never again. The worst Best Western I ever stayed at.

Needs and update for sure stains in the ceiling place is run down but clean and the price was right for overnight stay and up and gone back on 95N the breakfast was your standard waffles scrambled eggs sausage.

I'm not hard to please. I just want a clean room and a comfortable bed and they did great on both. We even slept in because the king sized bed was so comfy. Usually I can't sleep at all in hotels because beds are to uncomfortable. We are very pleased with our choice and the affordability.

Breakfast was great and attendant very personable and helpful. Toilet not thoroughly cleaned and little toilet paper/no extra roll left. Sink drain very slow to drain. Room otherwise clean and nicely appointed.

Driving down to Miami, convinient stop close to I95, 5 minutes. The room spacious and clean. The issue is the poor sound insulation of the rooms, you can listen your neighbors snoring. As a “on the road” hotel there movement all night long, these means that a excellent sound insulation is a must. Breakfast ok, a more or less standard.

We made a reservation using Priceline and were SO disappointed!!! The rooms were absolutely terrible! First one had bugs everywhere, second was horribly dirty and smelly. The employee was apathetic to our concerns but eventually said she would refund us. Do not not not stay here!! If we could, we would warn everyone walking in. We paid $15 more for the Hilton 5 miles down the road and it's perfect.

When we decided to make Florence, SC our stopping point on our trip back home, I started looking for a Best Western with available rooms. I have found them convenient, clean, comfortable and fairly priced. The Florence property was no exception. The staff was pleasant and very efficient. Got the exact room I requested. This is not a lavish room/hotel with all the bells and whistles, but more than adequate for a single night, on the road again stay. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Free breakfast was the typical fare, a decent way to start the day. If Florence is a good stopping spot for you, I recommend the Best Western.

I booked this motel sight unseen ahead of time. Do not believe the pictures posted on the website. These motels/hotels on I 95 are used hard, but some are maintained. I had called and asked the employee if I could use a coupon from the rest stop for our stay and she had said "yes" just bring it in when you check in. I brought it in with me and was told by the same employee, I had her name and she remembered talking to me (Heather??), that she would not honor the coupon because her manager Chris had announced to them at 6:30 don't take anymore coupons. I said to her I spoke to you at, and I pulled out my phone which had the call time, 5:18pm and you said you would honor it. Then I get this, "actually we don't have any rooms available." I'm at a loss for words because I had given her a credit card to hold the room and she had specifically said it would not be refundable. The other woman at the desk says to the other one, we do have rooms and she has a reservation why can't we give them their room? Other woman, "well I'll just have to call Chris". Meanwhile I'm trying as hard as I can to not get upset as I'm exhausted from driving and we had driven to this point from Miami. No answer from the manager. Finally the one woman says I guess we can give them a room...REALLY!!! What the heck is wrong with this place?? If I hadn't been so tired I would have left and continued driving but I knew that would have been a poor choice. We were given a room on the ground floor next to a room with a couple who were having domestic issues and fighting all night. The walls were shaking and the man kept going outside and revving his SUV engine while his wife/girlfriend yelled at him thru the car window. We heard everything! The room also had a broken lock so we put the table in front of the door in case someone tried to break in. Definitely not a safe place! The room was fairly clean which was a surprise but next time I'm staying somewhere else. This is probably my 7th bad Best Western so I think I'm pretty much done with staying at anymore of their hotels independent or not.

Overall, I'd give this hotel an incredible rating. I've been staying in Florence for quite awhile on long and short term construction projects. This hotel, and its staff, are by far the most accommodating and friendly people I've met compared to other hotels in the area. The service I've been given has been top notch, and the amenities at this particular hotel have been fantastic. I would recommend that anyone staying in the Florence area for long or short term reasons, give this place a try first.

Lobby area appealing and check in uneventful with nice staff personnel. Accommodations were not acceptable. Yellow tape covering one exterior stairwell with damaged/missing step. Room smelled moldy and of stale cigarettes. Dead roach in threshold. Floor in room dirty.

i stayed at the Best Western in Florence, SC on October 3, 2018. The lobby was very nice and the desk clerk was very pleasant. When I arrived in my room, I noticed the room seems a little stale. I checked the AC and it was on heat. It was 80 degrees in South Carolina when I arrived. I went to the bathroom and noticed a stain of some kind on the floor near the toilet. I grabbed one of the bath towels and wet it and wiped up the bathroom floor. It was completely black. I did not take my shoes off in the room and left the next morning without showering. I would not recommend staying in the hotel unless they get a better cleaning staff.

Tremendous location off of I-95--Exterior was very inviting as well as the lobby. We had a great lady named CHRISTIANA who greeted us- interacted in a most positive, caring, sincere, AND professional...Her demeanor was that of a sweet Southern Pecan-later to learn she was the property GM. WOW - we were impressed actually leading by example and a fine example CHRISTIANA was thee lady. But the caption above saw one stairway with a complete concrete step missing-out-gone AND the other stairs leading to the second floor were ALL in need of repair--serious repair. Perhaps some maintenance would avoid a serious mishap--filing down the rusted steel noses of each step--many were sticking up and easy to trip on going down--Our advice, "Don't get a second floor room if you don't want to risk possible injury." The room was clean-in order but a gap between the door and floor made it easy for "Southern bugs-pests-possibly rodents to enter in the night. Breakfast surprisingly good. Parking ample and well lit...All in all it was Christiana that alleviated the negatives...This property NEEDS ATTENTION!!

Good parking for truck and boat trailer. No need to back up. Parking lot can has drive-through convenience. Good restaurants nearby. We did not get to use the pool, but it looked great. If possible, ask for a room NOT next to the stairs. People leaving very early in the morning woke us up because our room resonated with the sound of feet landing on the steps.

The location was a plus for selecting this hotel, however, we requested a handicap room with a king size bed and found the carpet very sticky. The bottom of our socks were black! Neither of us felt comfortable walking barefoot in the room. Will not be staying here again.

I've stayed here many times now the hotel rooms a very comfortable and very reasonably priced a very good value in my opinion close to gas stations restaurants and shopping and other activities and right off of 95 and the breakfast is very well prepared.

Our room was clean and everyone we came in contact with was a pleasure. Can't beat the location, as it was within walking distance to a variety of dining options and convenience stores. The Front Desk and Guest Room Attendants were friendly and personable. The breakfast buffet was awesome! Would definitely recommend and the next time we visit the area, will stay again!

The staff and the hotel itself both were nice. This area apparently has an issue when there is a lot of rain. We were unable to shower because the water was discolored. The manager did give us a room discount even though she had no control over the issue. Shexstates that the county is responsible for gludhing the system after there is heavy rain.

Hotel was Ok but quite not what we expected. The room and the Hotel was renovated but shower and bathroom small and not a good room for more than 1 or 2 nights! We didnt enjoy the room or stay in Florence!

We had an unexpected extended stay in Florence and after some research made a reservation at the a BWINN. Front desk staff was accommodating with our request for an early check in. Housekeeping staff and supervisor Stephanie made sure our room was ready and any issues we had were quickly resolved throughout our stay! It was a great experience!

Have stayed here twice this year on our way to Florida, both times a very good experience. Sought out this hotel because they are pet friendly. However, unlike some pet friendly hotels, these rooms are very clean and look as if they've recently been updated. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Have not had any issues with reservations. King bed rooms are available. Wi-fi worked well. Complimentary breakfast is your average fare, but again, in a clean, well serviced environment. Outdoor pool available. Plenty of parking close to rooms. Cracker Barrel and Ruby Tuesdays within walking distance. Only thing that's a negative is a local train track nearby, which might be a little noisy for those who turn in early, or sleep late. Not a busy train line, and did not hear any trains throughout the night. Otherwise, this moderately priced hotel is on our "go to" list.

This Hotel was awful inflated prices because of local car show room was very dirty and they have bed bugs need I say more. I have given them time to make this right by me and they have failed...don't make the same mistake I have find another hotel....

Best Western has a consistency problem. Some of their hotels are very good and a great value. Others simply are not. This particular Best Western falls into that latter category. it's not a horrible place, but it should be much cleaner, the staff could be much more friendly, and the bathrooms seriously need updating.

I stay here frequently for business and am never surprised because it is always a comfortable and pleasant experience. The staff treat you like you are family - smiling, welcoming me back, asking about my trips. I always feel safe - which is extremely important to me as a woman traveling alone.

It was only one night stay at the hotel and we had a very terrible experience. My son and I were bitten by bedbugs. After he had a bad allergic reaction and it spread all over his body. I just uploaded one photo, but have an evidence of multiple bites in every part of his body. I called the hotel and tried to speak with the Manager. The front desk lady said that the Manager was not available and asked to leave a call back number. I was never called since April 7th 2018 and the hotel keeps ignoring my requests. Please avoid this hotel by any means if your health does matter to you. My report will go to DoH because the hotels have a responsibility to keep you safe under common law.

After a long trip the Best Western was a welcome haven. Comfortable room but the breakfast area was congested. Did need to contact Reception to obtain amenities for the washroom. Overall not a bad hotel to enjoy a quiet evening. Ruby Tuesday on site for easy to walk allowing ability to stretch legs

On Saturday March 31st around 9pm I checked into the BW in Florence, SC on our way home from Florida. We drive Philadelphia to Florida often and stay at lots of hotels along I 95. This may have been the worst hotel ever! We were assigned our room and as always I inspect the room before bringing in my belongings. I was disgusted to find MULTIPLE hairs on the top and bottom sheets of BOTH beds. I immediately returned to the front desk and told the woman at the front desk (Harley) of my findings and requested a refund. She was very sweet and apologized and told me that she was new and she did not know how to refund the prepaid payment. She told me she would tell her manager and have her call me the next day. I did not receive a call on Sunday so I called the hotel on Monday and was told the manager would be in later in the day. The person took my contact information at that time. About 5 hours later I had still not received a call so I again called the hotel and asked for the manager. At that time I was told the manager was not in her office but was on the property and AGAIN gave my contact information and was told she would return my call. I called the hotel for the 3rd time on Tuesday 4/3 and after being on hold for 10 min was told to call right back because the desk clerk could not transfer the call. I called back and finally spoke to the manager, Christiana Black who said she had not been in the last few days and seemed unaware of the situation. I asked for a refund and even after explaining my findings she did not offer an apology but did say she would refund my money when she got a chance. I am a BW member and have stayed at several BW locations. I have never had issues but rest assured I will NOT be staying here ever again! Best Western should be ashamed of this property which resembles more of a Super 8 or Motel 6. I regret not photographing my findings but I was in a rush to get out of there! On a side note, I also stayed at the BW in Yulee FL earlier that week and that property is VERY well kept a pleasure to stay at!

Right off I95 so easier access. Very comfortable beds-rooms. Internet is easy to connect to also. Hotel has good breakfast choices and friendly staff! Very convenient to many restaurants....pool for warm weather use....great place to stay!

Nice comfortable clean motel with Ruby Tuesday located next to it! Large parking area enabled me to get in my walking steps! Location of this motel is excellent since it is close to I-95. Gas station located within blocks made it easier to fill up my car on route to my next destination.

After a 10 hour drive, we were looking forward to a quiet room and a good nights sleep. We received neither. A traveler with a large dog was in the room next door to us. This poor dog barked when he heard something outside, which included the train across the road from our hotel. I am not blaming the dog in regards to the train. What I find the reaction by the desk clerk unacceptable. I phoned to complain about the dog and was told he was probably scared but she would call the room but they were probably out to dinner. The next morning at checkout I again complained and said that it was probably the worst night I had ever had. She promptly ignored my complains and we checked out. I will never good at this hotel again...especially if we need a good nights sleep.

WE called ahead to make sure we could park right outside the room rather than walk through the hotel. Heather was very helpful and professional on the phone and also once we arrived there. The rooms was clean and comfortable and just what we expected from a Best Western.

Florence is a half way point on Hwy 95 for us heading to Florida. We stayed at this hotel twice. The first time we had a room near the front of the hotel and thought it was great, the room was clean, staff was professional and breakfast with coffee was an added pleasure. Which made me not question booking it for a second time. I booked the hotel though the Best Western web site. We requested a king bed non-smoking room. When we arrived at first the front desk clerk said she was going to give us a room with a Jacuzzi, but then that changed for we were told someone had smoked in the room. So then we were going to be given a room with two beds. I questioned this since I had booked a specific room online and the front desk clerk tried to tell me that I had booked this room through a third party entity. Initially I argued with here but we decided to go to the room. The room was in the back of the hotel, not only did the décor look tired and old the room smelled like smoke!!! In fact we noticed that there were cigarette butts on the stairs as we left the room. I called Best Western customer service and they confirmed that I had booked the room through them and they said they would call the hotel. The hotel supervisor moved us, we ended up in the very same room that we had received the previous stay. Must say the Supervisor was very attentive, she even called the next day to make sure we had a nice stay. Breakfast with coffee was again a pleasure.

We enjoyed staying at this Best Western that was just off of I-95. Everyone is extremely courteous and willing to help. Breakfast was good. We appreciated the early start time for breakfast so that we could get back on the road.

Great breakfast. Very clean room . Overall fantastic stay . Only problem was the neighbors. Staff manage to handle the problem correctly and accommodate all of my needs. I will go to this hotel again.

This is an older facility which has had some refurbishing. Reservations were made well ahead of time but upon arrival were given card keys to a room that had not been cleaned from the previous traveler. Obviously there is no cross reference done between check outs and rooms cleaned. The room was small but did have all the amenities advertised however, we ran out of tissues and there was no extra toilet paper. Bathroom had small pieces of toilet paper on the floor. The vanity area is outside the bathroom which makes for a very small bathroom. Complimentary breakfast was marginally ok and crammed into a very small area adjacent to reservation desk. This is a two story building with access to second floor via outside stairs. There are two restaurants across the parking lot. Would I stay here again, probably not and definitely not longer than one night.

Looked for reasonable price, easy off/on and here it was. Great staff especially Alleon Kiruen who was monitoring the tasty egg and sausage breakfast setup. Will look for BW when I travel. Room was clean and smelled fresh with expected toiletries.

I booked it online through my Best Western account we were a little disappointed that they did not have a king non smoking room available that is what I requested. We had to take a room with 2 beds. The shower was ok but the shower head seemed to very high. I should have paid more attention when making the reservation I try to always book at a smoke free facility. The staff was was friendly and as helpful as they could be.

The staff was great. The room was clean and stocked. The only issue in my room was the infrared heat bulb in the bathroom had been replaced with a regular bulb. I used my BW reward points for my stay.

I stayed with my family one night as a stop for a longer trip. Good service, easy check-in/check-out, clean, wi-fi, acceptable breakfast (there might be more options, but it is the standard), and other services we did not used.

The price is very reasonable. Hotel is right off I 95. Ruby Tuesday is in walking distance and food has been consistently good. The staff has always been very accommodating. Breakfast is included and offers many choices.

First, the people there couldn't be nicer or more helpful! The clean room had two very comfortable queen beds and were attractive. Everything worked just the way we needed it to! The breakfast was well presented, and included everything you'd expect from a nice hotel breakfast bar: eggs, sausage, waffles, Danish, etc. etc. etc. It is conveniently located just off the Florence exit of Rt 95, so no extra time driving. And, there is a Ruby Tuesdays right next door for dinner, so you can park at the hotel and walk over easily. Lots of other places to eat too if that's not your taste. Overall, its a great place to stay, and ticks off all on our needs list.

We've stayed at the Best Western Inn, Florence, SC, many times and always look forward to stopping there because of the consistent quality of care. Thank you, Mrs. Black and staff, for always making our stay a pleasant one.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, although one smelled a little funky. We were traveling with our dog which stayed in one of the rooms. Front desk person first gave us one of our rooms with a broken lock, and when presented with the situation, insisted it ws operator error. The family huddled in the other room for 30 minutes until the front desk person came and satisfied herself that the room couldn't be accessed. Then she gave us another nearby room.

We stay overnight on our annual trips south for the winter and our return trips in spring. We are always pleased with the cordiality and professionalism of staff. The hotel is pet-friendly plus it has the amenities we need (e.g., free wi-fi, cable tv). The included-in-price continental breakfast is excellent.

It was a cold, drizzly afternoon and I was ready to be off the road because the weather was getting worse. The staff greeted me with warm smiles, checked me in quickly, and made me feel like I was coming home.

Tub tile was cracked and missing. Hard water stains on jets. Other than that it was very nice. I had a wonderful time with my husband. It was a relaxing time away from our jobs just to relax and recharge.

Only spent one night hre on my trip, but it was the best night. Very comfortable motel, Beds are great as is the shower head!! Breakfast had lots of good choices and being next to a Cracker Barrel for dinner is a plus. Pet friendly with a place to walk the dog. Good choice in the Florence, SC area!!

Went to best western. The first issue was that the tv was connected to the light switch, so when you try to turn the lamp off the tv goes out too. I had to untangle cords and unplug some stuff just to keep the tv on and have that particular light off. I don't normally get smoking rooms but there were a smoker present. After they kept complaining about something biting them we finally turned on the lamps & found bedbugs crawling on the white sheets. And let's say it went even more downhill from there. Bc some were getting bit & some weren't, that led us to pull the sheets off. There was an some artificial rose petals, an old sock & used rag from a previous stay under the sheets & blood stains on the mattress cover. We pulled that off & there were food crumbs & more bedbugs on the actual mattress. We pulled the mattress off the box spring & there was a freaking rusty blade under the duster. We started packing our stuff to leave. And had to move the mattress out of the way from where we removed it. And what do we find? A. Used. Condom. It really felt like a huge joke. Bc it seemed like no one has literally touched the room - ever. Go to the front desk & the attendant was not concerned at all. She didn't seem the least bit surprised. She fed some stupid lie abt informing her manager so they could call orkin to come spray. I will never stay is that trash can ever again. And if any of those bugs come into our homes, they will have a bigger issue. I'm wouldn't even use best western's parking lot to make a U turn in. Disgusting. And i will be calling dhec & keeling the pictures. Save your money & go elsewhere.

The only thing nice about this place was the staff. They are friendly and helpful. Everything else is AWFUL. I never even write reviews, but this was insane. The room was not clean. Who knows when it actually even was cleaned last! Trash stuffed behind furniture, stains all over carpet, dirt in tower and tub, stained towels and sheets - I could go on and on. This place was down right disgusting and I would never suggest anyone staying here - EVER.

Best western was not too expensive!! It was nice and there was a clean smell. If ever needed again I would most definitely go back to a best Western in Florence. Staff was great made me feel welcoming.

Sorry to report my worst experience in a motel in over 50 years of travel. Blood stains on sheets, front desk couldn't change sheets at 10 PM. No one to watch the desk. Paid over a week in advance and our type room, nonsmoking king wasn't available at check in. Forced to take smoking room with king bed. Everything was filthy in the room, disgusting. Almost left and begged another place for a room at any price, should have, double paid. Breakfast was decent except for powdered eggs. The price was very low compared to other places, but even then, the value was far worse.

I waited in the lobby about 10 minutes for someone to show up and check me in. I reserved a king bed only to be told they have no king beds. There was a spider web in the bathroom. The bathtub stopper didn't work. Tried calling the front desk, only got busy signal repeatedly. Noise outside door constant. Plumbing noises very loud. Need I say more? Stay somewhere else.

Great place to stay... the staff were exceptional. They were very accommodating and extremely friendly. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. The only issue we encountered was the breakfast... the eggs were room temp and the sausage and gravy was cold. I was also traveling with a young woman who is gluten free and they had no type of gluten free breads for her, fortunately we brought her bread with us. I would recommend this hotel for a stay, if they had heaters for the food.

Tiffany, Victoria, and Christiana are absolutely wonderful, they always make me feel at home and always look out for me! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Great customer service for the price. Will always be a customer.

Check in was very fast and they gave me a 2nd floor room that I requested. Once I got in the room, there was no running water. I immediately called the front desk and was informed it was being worked on. It was corrected very quickly. A bus full of people had arrived, and I expected it to be very noisy. That wasn't the case at all. It was a very quiet night and the bed was extremely comfortable. It's located near several restaurants so it's very easy to get some dinner near by. The highway entrance is just across the road. Perfect location.

This is a regular Best Western, not the "enhanced version" with all cookie-cutter features of most Best Westerns. It is clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. If you are using Hotel Coupons the address is not listed only the exit from I-95 South (unless this has been updated) so turn left after the exit. There are many restaurants withing easy walking distance, especially Ruby Tuesday's. The only downside that afflicts all motels on this strip are the train tracks that run parallel to the highway, a few feet away. And there are several freight trains during the night as my wife remarked to me.

Stayed here several days while visiting a relative with health issues. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was typical hot and cold items available at most hotels and the attendant was a delight to talk to. The train going by every evening was a surprise but not really annoying. Being close to our relatives home we will consider staying here if we are again in the area.

This hotel was very clean and, beds were comfortable, staff was extremely friendly and breakfast was very good. Will stay again. Great location off I-95. We have stay here before and the have upgraded the rooms.

Check in staff was very friendly. Access to malls and restaurants was great. Check out staff had no personality. We were blocked in in the parking lot by a woman begging for money. Didn't like that at all.

The room had a very clean and fresh look after a recent upgrade to the facility. The staff was cordial, efficient and friendly. The friendly part is particularly pleasing after a long day on the road. I would definitely stay again. Everything worked well including the Wi-Fi. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet. A Ruby Tuesday right beside the hotel was a real bonus. Would definitely make it a point to stay here again.

The Best Western was a nicely kept, clean room with amenities. There was a fitness center and pool which we didn't use. We could walk to two restaurants, Ruby Tuesdays and Cracker Barrel. They were both next door and one building away. The breakfast at the hotel included both cook food as well as eggs and breakfast meet. The are was kept clean and tidy. The only negative if you have mobility issues was it was two stories with only stairs, no elevator. I would imagine you could request a ground floor room.

Driving south to Florida, Florence SC is about half way for us. We decided to spend the night at Best Western on Lucas Ave. the room was average but clean and comfortable. The pool was open but the water too cold to use.

We have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times a year for the past 10 years we have travelled back and forth to florida. It has been consistent in the quality of the units and the friendly style of the staff.

We only spent one night and the king bed was okay. Be aware that this property is right next to railroad tracks. The train comes by between 10-11pm. We were lucky that it did not run by here the night we stayed. Shower rod was falling down. Breakfast was terrible. Drains in the room were very slow. Not worth the price

Very convenient just off interstate, resturant in walking distance. I was towing a boat, nice parking and walk to dinner. You do not hear the trains from this hotel, request to stay in the back. I was very pleased with the room, you can use coupon book for a lower rate.

Wee travel up the Eastern Coast 3-4 times a year. This is our go to place when we return home. The staff was friendly, quick and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean.

I've never stayed at a Best Western before and chose this one based on the positive reviews. The room rate is very reasonable and the pet fee was affordable. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and service was very helpful. There was also a simple but nice breakfast available in the morning. In addition there were Cracker Barrel and Ruby Tuesdays restaurants next door - within walking distance. I plan to stay here again and would recommend it to my friends.

I spend one night while traveling south on highway 95. The staff were friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast was perfect with acceptable choices. It has different restaurants nearby. The gas station is just across the street.

Each of our stays there have been getting worse. We've been there maybe 5 times in 2 years. The staff is wonderful, but the building is visibly aging. This last visit we had an encounter with a roach. I'm beginning to put BW on the same level as Days Inn.

Was concerned it might be noisy (we were on the first floor), but once we shut the door - never heard a peep from anyone. Spacious room, comfy beds, clean, very good internet (we streamed a movie on the iPad). Breakfast standard fare.

I have stayed at this motel approximately 20 times while on business in the past two years and have always found consistency in the service and accommodations. The trips may be hectic but I can relax, feel safe and get work done due to the high speed internet service.

Dated hotel but our room was clean, bed was great, little pricey on what we are used to paying at other Best Westerns we have stayed at even with a military discount.. Not bad for a nights stay, but be aware there is a rail road track in front of the hotel and I was jolted out of a good sleep by a passing train! Even though we were in the back part still could hear it, as far as Breakfast was not to bad, eggs were a little bland not much of a taste to them but rest of items were good, parking was not bad, staff was friendly, over all a decent place to stay for a night.

We enjoyed our experience with BW except for the breakfast. The eggs were ice cold and the sausage gravy was barely warm. Everything else was great the room was clean, plenty of towels. The ice machine on the 2nd floor was out of order.

It was a dated hotel, the breakfast items need to be more of a selection and resupplied more. The bed was too soft. The Hotel was easy to access from the interstate and the staff were polite. Overall, it was fine for a night but I would not be staying there for a longer length of time.

It's an easy off and on 95 but there are other hotels on this strip that afford their customers better rooms at a similar price. Bedding was a little stained and door to rom was very difficult to open. The bathroom is small but the shower was fine. There is a coffee maker and microwave but they do gjve you a pretty nice breakfast, especially if you're a traveler on the go. The rooms are motel style, meaning that once you check in, you enter your hotel room by going back outside.

We are on the road a lot, putting about 30 thousand miles on our car every year. Our hotel experience is quite important to us, because a bad one can ruin the whole day. Our stay at this Best Western was one of the good ones! We were greeted by friendly and efficient front desk staff which set the tone for our entire stay. Kookie checked us in and we were very impressed by her. Our room was was clean and the bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep. Breakfast had many choices and the coffee was actually better than most. What more can you ask for?

Drivig from New Jersey to Florida can be tireing. A lot of my friends said - no problem you can do it in one shot - the answer is no. Therefore on our way to Sunshine State we stop for one night at Florence SC and we chose Best Western Inn. It was quiet and we had a restful night before hiting the road again. The rooms where clean, beds comfy that is all you need... oh almost forgot - there is a complementary wi-fi and beakfast (wide variety; from cereal thru eggs and bacon and waffles)...

This was a last minute trip and last minute booking. We had traveled all day and did not know when we would stop. As midnight rolled around, we ended up in Florence, SC. The night staff were very courteous in getting our room and applied our rewards points. The rooms were recently renovated and very clean. My wife thought the sheets and blankets were a little old, but we slept through the night. The breakfast was great as there were fresh coffee, fruit, eggs and even sausage and waffles. The staff were even more awesome as they were very professional and accommodating. This place is well worth the last minute stop.

Staying here while family member in hospital. Front desk got us quiet, dark room, #228. Its a perfectly fine room, renovated, clean, the staff is nice. Pool area clean. No riff-raff hanging around. Can walk to Cracker Barrel. (The Ruby Tuesdays is awful though). Breakfast is fine, expanded continental with waffle maker. Great if you just want to sleep, grab quick breakfast & get back on I-95.

I have stayed at this BW for years. It has always been clean, comfortable, and safe. The facility is clean and in good repair. The staff is well-trained, professional, and pleasant. I count on this BW every time I pass through Florence, and I tell my friends about it if they're heading towards Florence.

Our first stay was in Alabama and it was really good except for the front desk attendant. We asked about the location of the pool and she didn't even look up but told me it was down the hall BUT didn't tell me it was closed. The rooms were nice and I enjoyed the rooms not being accessible from the outside. Tonight we are in S.C. The attendant was nice and accommodating. Someone was smoking marijuana. The power went out for about an hour due to a storm and the police lights are still flashing in the front lot. Perhaps this one needs a little updating (outside entrance), more staff available and some on grounds security. This one is more expensive and not as nice for a few reasons.

Best Western has updated their sites. Clean, well maintained, friendly & helpful staff. Did not expect to stop but am thankful that I chose BW. Made my unexpected stay over a blessing. Thank you BW for a stress free stay.

I stayed here last week and wasn't at all disappointed. It's nothing fancy, it's an older Best Western, but it appeared to be fairly recently renovated. It was clean and comfortable with a friendly staff. My only complaint was the exterior access rooms. I did not pay attention to this detail online, and kind of figured that Best Western had converted to all interior rooms as most brand have, and was disappointed in this feature. Even so, it was a good stay.

On our frequent trips between Maryland and Florida we make Florence our usual stop as it is half way. Usually staying at another motel in the area that has slipped a little, we chose to try a different motel. Best Western exceeded our expectations. The beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms were clean and all of the plumbing worked as expected. I hate to have a sink that leaks and empties water while I'm shaving. Loved the height of the raindrop shower head, but the fan in the bathroom needs to be a lot quieter. Breakfast was sufficient, but due to an electrical problem with one section of the breakfast area, scrambled eggs were not available. Waffles, cereal and hard boiled eggs were still available though. Would like to have seen danish and yogurt items as a part of the menu. Cindi at the front desk was very professional, helpful and pleasant when I called to make the initial reservation and I had the chance to speak with her as we checked out. Will definitely stay at this location on future trips.

Felt we made a good choice when we selected this motel right off I-95. Best Western was our motel of choice and we were able to find a Best Western where we wanted to stop driving for the evening. Our check in was very professional and prompt, and we felt we were offered our room at a fair rate. The Ruby Tuesday restaurant next door was very convenient and we did not have to drive. Food was good, but we were disappointed in the alcohol law for that area that prohibited Sunday sales. Our breakfast at the motel Monday morning was very good and the service was excellent. Keep up the good quality and service of rooms and breakfast.

The Best Western in Florence, SC represents excellent value. The hotel is not brand-new but is very well maintained. The staff, especially the front desk staff, is courteous and very attentive. We forgot some important toiletries on our trip which the front desk provided gladly, and for free. The free breakfast spread is extremely good, especially compared to their competitors. The rooms are clean and attractive -- a little on the small side, but not bad by industry standards. Beds were heavenly and the temperature control was perfect, despite a brief area-wide power outage.

Simple motel/hotel. Near lots of places to eat. The room was well decorated, bed comfortable & room was very clean. Breakfast is much more than just continental. It is a full breakfast & very tasty. The lady who maintains the breakfast area keeps everything well stocked. She is a lovely person. The whole breakfast room ... tables ... counters etc were kept very clean. We would stay again. Very cozy and clean. Breakfast food was a little scarce, we ate around 8:30 and the hot food was mostly gone. Room was very clean, roomy and cozy and nice peace and quite during the night. Very impressed with BW's consistency.

When traveling with my dog, BW accepts pets if available. When I know my schedule, I do call and make a reservation. Rooms is not always available, so I do suggest making a reservation. The room doesn't smell of pets from previous pet stays.

Every spring and fall I travel I-95 from New York to Florida. I need a safe place for me and my dog that is close to gas and food from I-95. This stop was perfect. It is by far the best pet-friendly hotel I have found in the last 6 years.

We found this hotel and room to be very clean with bright colors other than the humdrum browns. Staff were informative and friendly. Breakfast could use a little help with more healthy items. It was very convenient for us to have a nice restaurant beside the hotel to have a nice meal and a glass of beer to unwind from a long drive.

We stayed one night on our way from Florida to NYC. As we entered, the room was extremely hot. The AC was very loud. There was a cigaret burn on the sheet. Also there was food left in the fridge. Very close to train trucks.. The breakfast was good, had nice variety.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night in what was supposed to be a smoke free room that smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and the bathroom was not very clean. While the staff were friendly they did not go out of their way to address our complaint about the odor in the room. A weak apology and reluctant offer to move us to a different room.

We were traveling north from Florida and stayed here based on other Trip Advisor recommendations. We will definitely stop again on our travels as we make our snowbird trips each year. Room was good sized and comfortable. Breakfast was good but special commendation to Allean who took care of it. She was like a whirlwind and it was the best kept breakfast area I have experienced. Everything was clean, refreshed and inviting. When she wasn't taking care of that, she was sweeping the front door area and generally making sure everything was well run.

Stayed here overnight on our way from NY to FL. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and hotel is pet friendly which is important to us because we travel with 2 dogs. There is a Ruby Tuesday next door that is open late for dinner and a cracker barrel for breakfast or you can eat at the hotels free breakfast until 10:00 which has the usual breakfast items. Fastest check out and check in I have ever had and the front desk associates were friendly and efficient both in the evening and morning. Would stay here again for an overnight stay. The room was a little high priced though for the area and the military rate was more then the best rate.

The Inn is easy to get to off I-95, has clean rooms, good lighting, TV, Internet Access, refrigerators and microwave, and excellent showers. the price is lower than most of the other, similar properties. The breakfast is average, but has all the expected dishes, such as scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and then the toasts, bagels, etc. There's also a selection of cold cereals. Front staff are friendly and efficient. HOWEVER, the rooms are not very sound proofed, so if you're a light sleeper, you'll hear the train coming through, which sounds it's horn at a nearby crossing . . . several times. After the about 11:00 PM one, I finally fell asleep, so don't know if the train keeps that up all night or not. And forget sleeping through the early birds leaving in the mornings, even if they're not driving trucks with bad mufflers. Just the slamming of doors of the units is enough to make sure you don't oversleep. Still the value is there, and absent the noise issue, it would be an excellent place (because of the price) to stop on your way through Florence.

had me in my room in no time - since this was a road trip coming back from florida to buffalo ny it was stressful driving a uhaul truck. i checked in and was sound asleep in no time. the bed was comfortable. i thnk the bathroom (toilet/shower area) could have been a little larger but overall great experience.

A pleasant and comfortable place to stay. The bed was very comfortable. Service was great. Breakfast included and catered for all tastes. Unfortunately the pool was not currently operational.Would have been great to have a swim after a long days drive.

Pros: good breakfast (no, not made to order eggs), but just about everything else. clean room and large tub/shower area. Problem free wifi. Ruby Tuesday in parking lot. Con: train travels close by. woke me up but not a reason to override the pro's. Not walking to do any shopping.

Great location off I-95. Nice room and pet friendly. However rooms need to be deodorized after use. My room had a cat there prior to my stay. The odor was unmistakable. Didn't complain because I was there for only one night after driving all day and didn't want to change rooms.

Each March year we travel the I-95 corridor to and from home. This hotel has the best value, cleanliness, selection for continential breakfast and friendly, courteous and professional staff. Ms. Allean Kirven (THE breakfast lady) is a joy. She makes breakfast time a pleasure, very very, clean. The beds are absolutely heavenly!! A good solid, satisfying sleep. We have stayed there for the past 5 years and will continue to do so. This is a well-run establishment.

We stayed here for one night on our way to home. Check-in was quick, and all the employees were friendly. The room was neat and clean with a microwave, refrigerator, TV, as well as a very comfortable king size bed, with an adequate amount of pillows. Like most moderately priced places we stayed, the bathroom could have used some updating; but, in general, it filled our needs. The breakfast was adequate with enough selections to get one started first thing in the morning.

The room and service was average. The mattress quality was excellent affording us a comfortable travel night sleep. It was great to have our two doxies with us Minimal noise was a very good factor. Walking distance to restaurant.

We came here passing through on our way back to Miami after Thanksgiving. Rooms are all facing the street. Not clean. Bathroom had a used soap with hair on it. Carpet wasn't vacuumed, drawers were dirty and tub is in the middle of being fixed so they left the faucet to be installed on the side of the tub as decoration!

To the wonderful staff at Best Western in Florence sc.. you saved us twice this past weekend! At the moment my husband and I are living in different states do to work, so this past weekend we decided to meet up half way so we made reservations on hotwire with the roadway inn, I drove from virginia and he drove from Florida, once my husband got there he was very disappointed with the hotel and the room, he said "it wasn't somewhere you bring your wife to have a romantic weekend getaway at"! He immediately got on the phone with Hotwire and cancelled the reservations, at that point we were in need of a place to stay, not knowing the area we went to Best Western because it was right across the street. My husband went in and had no problems getting a room, the lady's at the front desk were so helpful in our time of need. The vibe of the Best Western was just amazing compared to the other place, the room was clean and comfortable and it was very quiet. We enjoyed our stay it was a much needed getaway! After checking out and I was on my way home I felt like I was missing something, I had a necklace with me but didn't have it on, I tried not to freak out till I got home and could look through my bags, nope didn't have it now I'm crying because I would never see it again. I had my husband call BW they said they would look in the room but would have to wait because it had guests already they would call back if anything. So now I'm like it's definitely gone for good! But happy ending to happen, the amazing staff at Best Western call back and they found my necklace and have sent it back to me! I can't thank you all enough for all you did this past weekend for us!

Our room was clean and comfortable. There was only one minor bump, a train that passed at 11pm. Other than that, this hotel is right next door to a Ruby Tuesday's which was perfect after we got in at 9:00pm. I would definitely use this as a stop on our way back home.

The Motel was very clean and had comfortable beds but our experience with the surley person on duty at the desk was not something we expected to have to deal with after a long day on the road. This is my second bad experience at a Best Western and I will never stop at one again.

The hotel is well maintained, the breakfast is good, and the bed is comfortable. This value-priced hotel is convenient to main roads and the city of Florence. The staff was exceptionally professional during a very difficult time owing to weather. I will stay here again as the need arises for a hotel in the area.

Came in from the coast to dodge the hurricane. Picked this place with an app, it was available. Quite surprised to get an remodeled room. The staff here has been great considering 10 inches of rain and 60 mph winds. They have been doing their best to keep us comfortable despite no power. All the restaurants in the area are closed, so they put breakfast food out so there would be something to eat. Great job!

The apartments were in the old village with a bus stop just outside and buses passing by every few minutes into the centre and also to marmaris finishing at about 1.30 in the morning. It was also a nice 15 minute walk which was nice at night when it was cooler. Rooms are roomy and a little dated but didn't matter to us because it was only a base and somewhere to sleep. Rooms were kept fairly clean and towels were changed regularly and if u needed more you only had to ask the cleaners and they would give them to you . Staff very friendly nothing to much trouble. Plenty of sun beds and 2 nice pools all kept clean and tidy and washed down at night. The food and meals were nice and not to badly priced. The view from the apartments was lovely and the apartments are situated in a quiet location with a shop that sells most things just around the corner.

Staff at desk wouldn't look up my BW rewards points (the next BW we stayed at did and we qualified for a free night). Room was average. There is a freight train that runs nightly at 11pm and 3am right, and I do mean right, in front of the hotel. Breakfast was disappointing. All the usual stuff but only hard-boiled eggs, no meat, no warm oatmeal, and a lousy selection of fresh fruit. Too bad.

Motel is showing its age. Service was good and room was clean, but we had ants and spiders in our room. This was understandable because there was a huge gap under the door which led to the outside on the ground floor. This motel seriously needs an upgrade. Breakfast was not even close to beakfast I have had at other Best Westerns.

This motel is nice and everyone there was very nice. My problem is that after leaving I noticed a duplicate charge. So I was charged the same amount twice. BW said they had only charged me once to call the credit card company. We were with a big group and it may have been a little confusing for them but they will not give me my money back and 325$ is a lot of money to take from someone.

This Best Western has the worst check-in and breakfast I have had at a Best western. Room was clean and check-out was fine, vending machines did not work. The dinning area was small, but was clean. Variety of food items were limited, and some items were cold and you had to use the microwave to heat them up. Property was clean, room was average. did not use or see the pool area. It is right off I-95 which was easy to find and has convenient store across the street.

We loved everything about this place close to 95 places to eat shopping and very quiet the rooms are very comfortable and the great breakfast that was provided loved it all we'll keep on stopping every time coming back from Florida.

I would recommend this motel to anyone. The staff was most helpful and the motel is very clean. The service was excellent. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The pool was clean and the outside appearance was also clean.

We travel to Maryland several times a year and we almost always stay in Best Westerns. This is one of our favorite locations, because of the location and the staff. We like that Ruby Tuesdays is next door and several time we were traveling with some sort of trailer and they always are able to accommodate us.

Horrible service, bug infested room, and breakfast if you only eat carbs! Thumbs Down. The property in Richmond Hill is 1000% better. Gal at check in did not even want to be bothered. Never checked my ID, I had to ask her to look at it and then I offered my CC card, she did not want that either. Carpets were wet and gross under bare feet, probably tried to remove the bug infestation that way. Good luck staying there and double lock your door in the evening...did not feel safe.

have stayed at this location multiple time. Good location. Have never had a room dirty but room was just not up to par for me. Didn't seem like housekeeper put much effort in cleaning the room. May or may not be back. I do like this location because you enter your room and no hallways to deal with.

We stopped here on our way to FL..the desk people were busy on the phone and customers waiting to check in were waiting a long time for service..us included. The clerk was nice and trying to suggest a room away from the front section of the Motel where moving men and much noise was going on. The room was a huge disappointment..the air conditioner was broken and the room wasn't too clean. We complained and they did accommodate us to the front of the motel to a better room. Breakfast was good but that transfer of rooms gave us a bad taste there.

I stopped in because I was TOTALLY lost and needed directions to my final destination, a small coastal town. Even though I explained I would not be checking in, the front desk staff went above and beyond in their efforts to help me. Christiana cheerfully provided me with a highlighted map, verbal directions and a big smile. Should I ever get lost in that area again, I will definitely consider this Best Western! By the way, the lobby and all that I saw was clean and pleasant.

The motel was fine and the staff were very helpful in anything that you needed.As a business trip it was very homey,the problem was a occastional train at night but all the motels in the area also had the same issue.Resteraunts were within walking distance.Traffic wasn't to bad at certain times of the day.Overall stay was very pleasant.Would stay there again for business or pleasure.Thankyou,Leon Johnson

I've stayed here in the past and the hotel always lived up to the BW standards I took for granted when I booked. This time I know I'd never go to this hotel again. Along with things not working properly, there were ants in my sister's bathroom and BED! My 1st bad experience with BW. Is it because they are independently owned now? I stayed at a wonderful BW PLUS the same week - same BW quality I've always experienced and the price was perhaps $10 more than this one. Go with the PLUS!

We were not satisfied when we first checked in to our room. As soon as the door was opened, we could see cereal on the floor near the door. Inspection of the bathroom revealed feces on the front of the toilet. The room had a stale musty smell. I went to the front desk and was promptly given another room. This room was satisfactory and served its purpose of providing a roof over our heads. Then, during the night, we were awakened by the passing trains.

Hotel was in good shape. Clean and comfortable. Beds slept well. Front desk and room staff were friendly and helpful.Am I over 200 characters now? Price was high compared to other accomodations along I-95.

Everything at the hotel was excellent especially the empolyees. Its a little pricy , but worth it. The breakfast was average at best. The pool was very nice and the king room was huge. I would come back if I was in the florence area.

Very comfortable and an excellent value. Room clean and bed very comfortable. Ample parking. We travel with our dog and this hotel accommodates pets without a problem. Decent spread for a quick breakfast before you get on the road starting at 5:30 AM.

Old style Motel but location was excellent (just off I-95). Breakfast was weak--they also need better coffee. Would have liked to have been offered more healthy choices--and/or COOKED eggs. Overall, good value for the money complemented by very friendly staff.

All staff were extremely helpful. Room was very clean and bathroom was so large. Variety of different restaurants within walking distance. And it is close to the interstate with easy off/on access. I would definitely recommend this to friends.

A friendly, professional staff and improved breakfast with a clean make this a place I will return to. For dinner I would recommend Quincy's less than a quarter mile away. The buffet is excellent and reasonable.

My room was okay, however one of the lamps did not work, the jacuzzi wasn't clean and my a/c was really sluggish. We've had this room before this spot was renovated and it was nice but we had some of the same issues. We were moved to a sister hotel as an upgrade right down the street which was very accommodating on BW'S part. I would stay again just check everything first. I was tired from a long commute so I didn't check everything up front.

When we travel to and from Florida we always try for Best Westerns. Consistent quality, service and comfort. Best Western Hotels are located conveniently to the highways along the East Coast and have always had friendly helpful staff. Being "pet friendly" is also a plus as we travel with our (very clean) cat.

Breakfast was very good--many choices. Room had a strange unpleasant odor---very uncomfortable. The room accommodations were sparse and unattractive especially in view of the cost. For the same price at other hotels the room was much more comfortable. Recommend that the price be lowered. Would pay no more than $75.00. The location is good if one is traveling on the north/south corridor. Overpriced.

This year we did a route change and decided to go through Florence, SC. We haven't been this way for a while. Since our last stay at this hotel it has been completely renovated. The rooms have all been redone. It was a pleasant surprise. Very nicely renovated. The location of the Best Western is right off the I95 and next to Ruby Tuesdays which is quite convenient. After a long day of driving you don't feel much like driving somewhere to eat. There was only one problem with the room and that was the refrigerator was not working properly. We advised the front desk as we were checking out and she thanked us and made note of it. There is nothIng bad about this hotel, we will stay here again.

This little hotel has a big heart. The staff is friendly and outgoing and the newly decorated rooms make you feel like your paying twice the amount that you are...great place for a night, best place to stay in the area if your touring or going to the races, no one will be disappointed with their stay here.

Although the room we had was clean and well prepared, and the bed was comfortable, the fact that the train running right past the hotel a few yards away and blowing their horns several times all night ruined the entire opinion of this location. Had we known this would happen, we never would have booked there. We needed a good night of sleep as we were traveling. We'll never stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at the BW Florence several times and we were always pleased with the service. On this occasion we forgot two pillows. I called the hotel and the person on the front desk, Jakay was extremely helpful. Mackay walked me through the process to get our property returned and was very courteous and professional. As I said we were always pleased with the hotel but this time they went the extra mile to help us. As to the place, it accepts pets and is always clean and comfortable.

Right off I-95 so very convenient overnight accomodations. Rooms are comfortable and continental breakfast easy to enjoy before you hit the road! We have stayed here the last 4 years on way to Florida

Never having stayed at this Best Western in Florence before we were quite surprised. It is difficult to find a decent motel to stay with a dog and many charge a fee for the pet that is more than the room itself. This Best Western was a great find. The two girls at the front desk (evening and morning) could not have been more accommodating and extremely nice. Even with a sold out evening the receptionist held a room for us. The very last room. The rooms looked recently renovated and were clean. With a pet you could never stay at a Marriott, however, the Best Westerns are perfect for a restful and economical stay and where you know you are welcome with your family pet.

Love Best Western Hotels, they are very reasonable and the staff are friendly. The breakfast was included in the price and you could eat all you wanted. The rooms were roomy and clean and the beds were so comfortable.

We have stayed at this best western a few times. Its very clean and the staff are so nice!! Next door is a Ruby Tuesday that you can walk to. Nice little bonus. The free breakfast was great. Kept very clean, and the young woman made sure tables always cleared and cleaned. We look forward to staying again.

This is a gem! Its just off the I-95 corridor. Beautifully renovated. The accommodations are well above norm for a 1-2 night layover. Very, very comfortable bed. Morning breakfast is extensive and fresh. Pet friendly. Highly recommended. We WILL be returning.

Room is clean! Everything works,staff is very helpful. Coffee is on 24hrs! Near all the eateries you could want. Great place to lay your head after a long drive. Lounge is clean so I'm looking forward to breakfast to start the second leg of my trip.

We stayed here for one night because it was listed in the hotel.com coupon booklet as #1 in Florence on Trip Advisor. When I later checked Trip Advisor it was listed as #17 in Florence. The room was not clean, there was a cat crying all night which kept us up as did the bites in bed (bed bugs?) I got no satisfaction when I complained to Best Western customer care. They really don't care.

i got a great deal and it was clean and had everything i needed. unfortunately, the Wifi wasn't working but i didn't report it until i was leaving because i had a busy day. they offered a discount and i appreciated that!

Right off I-95, Newly renovated, very clean rooms- you can smell the fresh paint. The Staff are helpful and friendly, they allow pets, which is hard to find. Continental breakfast including waffles!!!! The new coffee machine they have is spectacular and makes a nice robust coffee, unlike all other watery hotel coffees. Ruby Tuesdays right next door to make it easy for dinner and drinks after a long day on the road.??great for families!

Traveling with my husband and service dog. Very clean room and the most comfortable bed. Quiet just off 95. Easy to get back on the highway. Breakfast was average. No eggs or bacon. Staff was friendly and helpful. Many chain restaurants nearby.

While we like Best Western we are just not big fans of rooms with outside entry. The room was somewhat pricey but the breakfast and the hotel staff were both excellent. The 2 queen beds were very comfortable. We were able to get Dinner nearby.

This was a real nice place to stay while we were just traveling through. Great value, and great personnel!! There was a free breakfast with hard boiled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, waffles, toast, and the regular stuff.

Staff very friendly. Had a newly renovated room this time. Beginning to show signs that ownership doing a great job updating property. Outside entrances to rooms but is a safe area. Security present. No problems. Ruby Tuesday next to hotel.

4 square pillows on the bed. I had my own pillow, but it was raining and I didn't want it to get wet. Parts of the room had not been vacuumed. This hotel did not live up to other Best Westerns we have stayed at.

Wonderful place to relax either way your going , north or south. Very convenient on I-95..Convenient restaurants, fast food or nice dining. A great choice of fuel stations to choose from, just a great place to break up a long trip...

Front desk staff helpful, pleasant, property undergoing renovation but very clean, nice new fresh look to our room. Good breakfast offered , great coffee, and adjacent to Ruby Tuesday was great for dinner too. All in all, a short but pleasant stay, we will stop again!!

Best Western has just updated the furniture in the rooms & lobby & it is nice & clean. It also is very pet friendly which we look for on our yearly trips back & forth from New Hampshire to Florida. They have a good area to walk a dog around. We have stayed at other hotels in the Florence SC area & there was only pavement to walk our dog or an area around the shrubs which was not very big. This is very important to us and we will only stay at the Best Western in Florence now. They were ale very accommodating when I requested when I booked our room that we be on the first floor & near the rear of the office building which makes it easier getting in an out with our dog. Thanks Best Western!

This is your ordinary motel by the highway, except for one thing. The front desk staff was unusually alert and polite. As it happened, my wife left her special water pillow behind as we continued south to Florida. We called within days and they kept the thing in lost and found for three weeks. When we stopped on the way back to pick it up, they once again were cheerful and eager to please. Wow.

Clean rooms, helpful and efficient staff, free breakfast. Being brought up-to-date. No decent restaurant adjacent, but a good selection of chain restaurants nine minutes south at the next exit. Florence is midway between home and our Florida destination, making this a convenient over-night stop which we make annually. Avoid the adjacent Ruby Tuesdays, however. Simply poor in every way.

drapes/curtains coming off rod/hooks and had to be clipped by us to passers-by could not see in; tub didn't hold water very well; fire alarm needed batteries and beeping in the middle of the night. But I like BW hotels as you can depend on cleanliness of room.

We stopped here for the second time,in December. Very convenient location off of I-95. Standard room with extra sofa. The water pressure was the best I have ever experienced in a motel, and ditto the very comfortable Serta King mattress. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was standard continental fare. THere are plenty of restaurants nearby. Off season mid week we could have used a hotel coupon you pick up at rest stops to lower the room price considerably. As it was, we paid about $100.

Stayed the night of 20 December. Both check-in and checkout were extremely slow and tedious as staff did not know how to process Best Western Rewards travel card, but the very worse thing was that we were given a top floor room that had not yet been renovated and the next day I found that my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands had over 40 bedbug bikes. Yikes! I advise you to avoid this place until renovations are completed. In addition, the value is not there for the amount charged. Go elsewhere.

Well-equipped pet-friendly hotel with friendly, competent staff and excellent continental breakfast. Conveniently located to I-95, with adjacent restaurant and nearby filling stations. I stay here each year when headed south from colder weather.

The manager of this motel is excellent. She has a wonderful staff and they make you feel very welcome. The breakfast is plentiful and good and restaurants are close by. It's my favorite stopover when I trave I-95.

Fight on the second floor disrupted our sleep. Train blew its whistle at 2 AM to let us know it was passing even though the building does not move and is not on the tracks!! HVAC system was not full functional. Rooms are being renovated and room selection was limited.

Exterior doors & noisy clientele make for little sleep. Things in room left broken, even though fix would have been easy (toilet paper dispenser, for example). People at desk were nice enough. Older property.

Terrible. Will not stay here again. We have stayed in several Best Westerns over the years but never one like this. Dogs barking, people yelling at 6 in the morning. Dingy room. Beds were clean and breakfast was good. Needs a BIG up-date. When we complained to the staff it was just passed off as nothing. Our problem not theirs. Value is not there. We paid less at a Hampton Inn the night before.

Staff were very friendly & helpful - hotel was going thru remodeling and I'm sure when it is finished my experience would be much better. On my next trip south I'll give this hotel another try as it's very convenient on off to all routes south.

Check in was fast and easy, but room smelly (urine?) and a bit run down. Seems clean though and updated bathroom and vanity area. Unfortunately, much different from previous Best Western stays. Just staying the night on a road trip, but would chose a different hotel next time.

Overall the cost of this stay was more than the value of the lodging. Fan in bath was very loud, bed was too hard, carpet was damp, and a chair in the room was still wet with varnish. A pair of trousers were stained and had to be thrown away. when I complained to the night person at the desk while checking out, she simply said "sorry about that. Complain to Best Western when they contact you. Food at breakfast was inadequate--hard boiled eggs and a sausage gravy that was only tepid.

Read the reviews of the hotel and decided to try the property. I was very pleased with the comfort of the bed, friendliness of staff, and the price. They give a AAA discount and military discount that made it very affordable for me. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was outstanding, staff was great, room was wonderful. Just find out what the local train schedule is. This is nothing the Hotel can control, and this applies to ALL the hotels in a 3 mile radius, the Train that comes through at 3am likes to blow his horn for an hour.

My dad and I were in town for hunting. We stayed at the best western on west Lucas and the staff was amazing! We left early to go hunting and checked out about 5 am around 10 after hunting I realized I forgot something in the room. The front desk lady helped me and gave me the keys to go look when I couldn't find it they went over and beyond helping me get it back..... And the manager Christiana was amazing as well as she was the one who found my stuff for me!!! The room was nice and clean!!!! And perfect for us two to stay for our father/ daughter hunting trip!!! I thank all the staff for a wonderful stay and for getting be back my left items! Also very convenient for food!!!!! Places to eat everywhere!!! Great coffee and breakfast too!!!

there was a strong fragrant odor in the room[ such as strong insect spray...there was an insect on the wall and a roach in the bathroom..we slept with the lights on to discourage any insects my wife wanted to leave but I convinced her to stay because we just drove over 12 hours and were very tired

This was the second time I have stayed at this motel and have been pleased both times. The location is perfect just off I-95 with a Ruby Tuesday and Cracker Barrel right next door. The room has been clean, comfortable and quiet. I have been in non-smoking faciltiies before that smell like old smoke but not this motel - the air was fresh and the carpet was clean as well.

Newer furnishings. Refrigerator didn't work. Breakfast was OK. Very crowded at breakfast and no place to sit and eat. Staff was pleasant. Room was clean. The type of place you want to stop for the night on your way. Ruby Tuesday next door.
