Best Western Flora Inn

Breakfast hours were very limited than ever before. They used to accommodate earlier breakfast for hunters but not this year. Hospitality was worst in all the 20+ years I've stayed prior. Beds slope on sides making it difficult to get proper support and sleep.

Asked for checkin at 2:15 pm and was told they couldn't till 3 pm even though a sign on the checkin desk said checkin could start at 2 pm. The room smelled of smoke, was dirty (old wires/garbage etc). Toilet and Sink was made for kids. Toilet was not mounted right thus kept hitting the wall. Didn't flush properly either. No soap holder in the shower and the shower curtain was falling off the wall. Paint pealing of the walls in numbers places. Brought it to the attention of the staff and they couldn't do anything. Brought it to the attention of Best Western and they couldn't care less either.

Super easy check in & staff was very nice. The room was very clean & bed was comfy. I was also traveling by myself & did feel safe coming in & out & in my room. My only complaint was they do not offer late check outs. Hotel was pretty empty & I only asked for an extra hour & they wouldn't accommodate. Not a huge deal, but thought I would let others know.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good, room was clean. Comfy beds. It was a very nice hotel with a good value for the room. I had a very easy check in and out and was treated with care and respect.

The Best Western accommodations were comfortable and the service attendants kind and helpful. Since this was really the lone hotel close to the venue at which I was meeting with others, I had some reservations but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms included a fridge and microwave, which was handy. I would offer one suggestion: change the breakfast time from 7:00a to 6:30a. Other than that, I give Best Western a shout out!

After spending $1,000 for a stay of 11 days, we were told that our room had been sold to someone else THE DAY OF.We were in town for work and had to find another place to stay. Sad. They were also rude. Don't stay here.

We've stayed at this hotel many times over many years. It seems to get worse and worse each time. Unfortunately, it's the only hotel in town so we have dealt with it thus far. From now on, we will stay in the next town and make the drive daily so that we feel comfortable with where we are staying. We've dealt with issues such as holes in walls, bugs in beds, tubs that don't drain, tvs that don't work, dirty/dusty rooms, barely fixed problems. None of us feel comfortable enough to sleep here anymore.

This hotel does not clean your room or even give you clean towels even if you stay multiple nights. Do not book the most expensive room advertised with a kitchen. It is only a microwave and refrigerator.

Room, hall way and stairway smelled like smoke and weed. Breakfast items and coffee urns were empty or had very little left. Had to ask both days of our stay for them to be refilled. TV had poor fuzzy picture. Young girl that cleans the rooms also does the refilling of the breakfast items, with no gloves, while the front desk lady is just sitting there playing on her phone. New ownership and you can tell. Poor quality, poor customer service. Poor ownership!

We stayed here in Flora Illinois for 6 nights and found it to be clean and the staff to be polite and helpful when we had questions about the area. The parking was well lit at night and the property was well maintained. We will stay there again on out next trip to Flora.

Staff promptly helpful. Facilities are clean and functioning. Quiet and small town feel with great amenities. I feel comfortable and safe when I stay at the Lorson Inn. It just feels like home. I stay here always on my frequent trips to the area.

We traveled to this area to complete some business and needed somewhere to stay for one night. This hotel was clean and the people who work here were friendly. We had a good night's sleep and breakfast was substantial - a good start to our day! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Be sure to be a Best Western rewards member - you can get free stays quickly.

good location not really local for fast food options close and the gas station closes around 11 so no late night options. The local Caseys is about 2 miles away thats 24 hrs so not to far to be able to get some late night food

Exceeded expectations. We stayed for several days for a family matter and needed to extend. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was above average. Only negative for a long stay was no guest laundry, but that was minor.

This in the third time we have stayed at this location. It's not expensive and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. We certainly will stay here again in the future.

Even with no pool option, this is a great place to stay in this area. Personnel are very nice and helpful, it's clean, great water pressure I the shower. Fridge with a freezer is a huge plus for me. Beds are comfortable.

I had a great experience at this Best Western!! The room was very nice, clean and inviting, everything worked properly and was up to date. The staff was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable staying there.

Overall, the hotel was nice and the staff was friendly, but the blankets were super thin and the toilet was up against the wall and toilet paper was behind the door. It was awkward. Would probably come back if no other options were available.

We stayed while visiting family for Christmas. Everything was clean and comfortable, but the desk staff did not wear masks. At current count, more than 10% of Clay County residents have tested positive for coronavirus. Clay County is one of the 10 counties with the highest covid death rates in Illinois—which is why their frontline healthcare workers got a priority shipment of the Pfizer vaccine just three days after it was approved. There is a mask mandate active. And yet, every time we walked through the lobby (wearing our masks), the desk clerk was not wearing one. There is a partial plexiglass window, but it does not extend to the ceiling and does not run the full length of the desk, so it does about as much good protecting from coronavirus as the smoking and non-smoking sections in restaurants used to do protecting from smoke inhalation. It's bad enough seeing customers everywhere else in town—Walmart, Casey's, the pizza place—not wearing masks. It's infuriating to see it from staff. If they don't give a rat's for their own health, that's their problem, but for almost $100 a night per room, they can put on a mask for the safety of their guests. The reality is there's probably no hotel anywhere closer than Mt. Vernon or Effingham where you'll find hotel people smart or normal enough to take the virus seriously. But if you're high-risk, it might be worth driving the extra miles to avoid the plague.

We've stayed at this specific Best Western multiple times in the past couple of years, but this time was not up to par with the other times we've stayed. The entire second floor hallway wreaked of marijuana - thankfully our actual room did not smell bad, but the hallway consistently smelled like it. As soon as we stepped into the room, we noticed red stains on the floor (that honestly looked like blood at first, but I don't think it was.. still off putting though), dust all around the edges of the room, part of the cabinet/TV stand was missing a chunk of wood at the bottom, the bathroom had spots on the wall that looked like they had tried to "touch up" with the wrong shade of paint. The bedding appeared and smelled very clean and the breakfast was hot and delicious as usual. Thankfully they were booked up for the rest of the week, so we were only able to stay one night there. I'm not sure if we'll be staying there again, which is a shame, because it's the only hotel in Flora and we've always had positive experiences there in the past.

The overall appearance and cleanliness of the room was accommodating. Checking in was swift and convenient. Breakfast bar was poor. Bananas were brown. Not a lot of drink options for children. Friendly staff. Need more luggage carts for guests checking in and out. Overall decent.

I always want a place that is clean, fairly priced and friendly. Flora's Best Western is all that...and more! The rooms are always clean, their prices are great (and fair) and the staff is the best around! You won't find a friendlier place! Stay a night or two and enjoy the friendliness of this great, small town!

This was a very neat, clean and friendly staffed hotel for our visit. We had a king room and it was furnished nicely, had a desk, microwave and small fridge. It is a smaller hotel, 2 floors and about 25 rooms. Breakfast was included and was a nice variety including biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit and cereal.

Super clean and friendly. Never disappointed. Whether and overnight stay or longer this a perfect hotel for a individual or family looking to take a rest from travel. Any business traveler is welcomed anytime with a friendly smile and a comfortable bed and waking up to a delicious free breakfast

If you are looking for a well priced, clean and very friendly place to stay....this would be it! You won't find a friendlier, more helpful staff anywhere and their prices are very reasonable! It's not real fancy, but it's real clean! A great place!

This experience was great from start to finish. We were in town for a funeral and the staff was very accommodating. The were able to get us into one of the suite rooms and placed our other guests into two other rooms very close by. They also gave us a great bereavement rate. They were also very gracious and let us use the conference room free of charge for a reception after the funeral. The rooms were very nice and clean and all the staff was very kind. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in town!

We stayed here last night while in town for a wedding. The lady working the front desk was super nice! Our room was clean and comfortable. The bath towels were soft and fluffy. Breakfast was ok. They do not have a swimming pool. It was a little noisy-walls and ceiling were a little thin, but we travel with a fan for the noise, so that helped. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and would stay here again.

We were very impressed with the condition of the hotel. It looks new but is older. In very nice condition. Very quiet and there are a lot of restaurants in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much. We will stay again when we travel through the area.

All of the staff were friendly, capable and professional. We were well treated in all interactions with the staff. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was clean, the items stocked were very tasty, and the staff maintained the food and the area very well.

Neat motel close to our destination. Courteous and thoughtful staff. Floor is somewhat noisy on the second floor, but not a deal breaker. Close to fast food establishments and a travel mart. We would stay there again.

I've stayed there couple times and it's first class...Good Breakfast Bar, Front desk very friendly . It has been enjoyable stay. Easy entrance and exit 80 miles east of St Louis mo. There is a lot of Country Living. Country side drive to Farm land and Housing .

The hotel was clean, good towels, and quiet. It is close to food places and Walmart. The breakfast is great for a smaller hotel! Check in and checkout was quick and friendly staff. The fitness room is always clean.

The hotel was very accommodating. We had a large group. They allowed us to use the conference room which was very helpful. At breakfast they kept the food coming. It was a full breakfast not just a continental. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.

It's also the only hotel in Flora. There are two other motel options, but I would never stay at them. The Flora Best Western Lorson Inn is the only place I will stay when I visit Flora. The staff has always been very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is better than you would expect. We really enjoyed their complimentary breakfast. Housekeeping was courteous and respectful of our items whenever they came in to refresh the towels and make the beds.There were a couple of lose tiles in our bathroom and the bathroom was rather small, but those are my only real "complaints" and this was my 3rd time staying here.

Nice hotel. Rooms were what you would expect from a Best Western - clean and neat, nothing fancy. Pizza Hut next door. Breakfast area is small and selection was somewhat limited. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful.

Most know that Flora is a small town but their hotel is is clean, comfortable, and very affordable. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor, comfort and staff. We will be staying again when visiting Flora.

This location was great. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. My room was clean and comfortable and every thing worked. I only stayed one night but was pleased with everything as well as the price. I have stayed in higher end hotels that were not as good.

The staff at our recent stay went above and beyond to make our experience excellent The hotel from the lobby to the rooms was extremely clean. Good coffee was always available. The breakfast didn't wow me but the staff kept the food hot and refilled it as needed. Staying at this hotel was a very positive experience.

I stay here quite often as I have family in the area. The place is always clean and welcoming. I highly recommend. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They provide a nice breakfast. I usually arrive late at night and they always greet me with a smile.

This hotel was a surprising find. Great value and was a very comfortable stay. Beds were nice and we had very clean linens and pillows. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and helpful. We have stayed here twice this year and will be going back in December. The staff here are top notch and always go above and beyond to make sure they make you feel at home. Hotel is extremely clean and rooms are clean and quiet.

I checked in the Best Western on Tuesday. The parking lot was generously sized. The outside of the building was immaculate. The lobby is well appointed, very clean. The person who welcomed me was nice, efficient. The room I got was again, nicely appointed, the bed was confortable and the place was surgically clean. VERY nice room at this price point. The wifi is free and strong. The room was quiet and I got a good night's rest. There is a Pizza Hut next door. I ate there - the food was good. There are many other places nearby to eat. Checkout in the morning was a breeze. I had coffee (good) but I left too early for breakfast, so I can't comment on this. This is a really good deal for any traveler.

The hotel is clean. Nice rooms and helpful staff. the only down side is there are only a couple of fast food restaurants around the hotel, so eat somewhere else before you get there if you are hungry.

Very enjoyable stay with fast, friendly check in, clean room, and easy location on/off highway. Seems fairly new. Close to everything as Flora fairly small. Breakfast was good with decent selections. Overall a great stay. Only issues were breakfast area is very small and a group from the same company all ate at the same time so there was no room for others. Ate in the lobby which could probably change out some lounge chairs for extra breakfast seating. Also room had very heavy carpet-fresh power and as others have posted, toilet probably could be replaced with more up to date. But would stay again if in the area as price was great, and it was extremely clean.

We stay in this Hotel once a year when we go down to see family and it never disappoints us. Great staff, hard working and very friendly. Rooms are always very clean and comfortable. Nothing is ever broken or in disrepair. Breakfast is included and there are enough choices-everyone can find something they like. A staff member stays in the breakfast room and restocks as things start getting used. They are very friendly they point out things so you know everything you have to choose from. If they see you looking for something they ask if they can help with anything. I was amazed-they even had almond milk in addition to skim, 2 percent and coffee creamer. Whoever the owner/Manager is-you should be proud! I've stayed at many best westerns and I like them better than Hilton's or other pricey Hotels to be quite honest. The cleanliness and helpfulness is unsurpassed.

Nice clean hotel even being the only major hotel in town. The staff was both friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast while fairly typical was good as well they had biscuits and gravy as well as waffles with a little more toppings than others.

I always look forward to going back to Flora and staying at this particular Best Western. EVERYONE (caps for emphasis) is so helpful and cheerful. The rooms are so clean. The halls and entrance and dining area spotless each and every time. Terry, the manager, is a gem!

We stayed here recently while in town to watch a concert. We really didn't know what to expect being in a smaller town but this place was great. All staff was super nice, everything was clean and well maintained, beds were comfortable and you couldn't beat the price. Only thing they lack is a shuttle back and forth to Johnny and June's!! Lol. If we ever come back into town we will stay here again for sure.

We've stayed here many times over the past dozen years or so, visiting family and en route to and from Florida. Service and value has been very consistent. (One knows what to expect.) Recent facility upgrade has improved general interior appearance. Rooms have gotten new bedding, TVs, etc. Convenient location on U.S, 50 but quiet. Great free breakfast. Clean and tidy facility. Employees very friendly and helpful.

The only reason I can see this hotel being rated at 4.5 stars is because these people have never been to a 4.5 star hotel before. In my opinion, this hotel is extremely dated. The carpet in the hallways and rooms are dirty and need to be replaced badly. The heat/AC unit in the room was old and difficult to set a comfortable temp. It was more of a guessing game with a hot/cold dial. The walls and doors are thin...you can hear EVERYTHING. There is 1 luggage cart for the entire hotel. I would seriously suggest you bring your own TP if you're going to stay here. The TP provided was rougher than a cob, as they say in southern IL. :/ I would not stay here again.

This Best Western is just what it's supposed to be....clean and comfortable. Check-in to check-out was fine. Breakfast was the standard with no frills. We would stay here again if in the area. Recommend

My only small complaint would be the speed of the Internet. It was somewhat sketchy at times, but all in all it was adequate for my needs. I will definitely stay again when I'm in town.

Very clean. It's always enjoyable when I come to this hotel. The staff are genuine, helpful and hospitable. You always feel welcomed.The hotel is located on Hwy 50, right off the highway, so easy access. Surrounded by easy take out restaurants. Very clean. I would describe this hotel as a home away from home. It's a small town so they know true hospitality.

Thanks for being so accommodating. We stayed over thanksgiving weekend and were very pleased. The front desk staff is wonderful and the breakfast is good and plenty. We always stay here whenever we are in town.

Consistently great service, excellent breakfast, clean rooms. ALWAYS my first choice when traveling to this area. Love the homemade biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Have stayed here at least half a dozen times in the last 5 years, and every experience has been positive.

Great breakfast. The room was a little small but the breakfast was great the the staff very friendly. The food was well stocked. The desk clerk on checkout was great. Will stay here again when we are back up that way.

Would recommend this hotel to future guests. Checkin process was quick, staff friendly. Very good area with good outdoor lighting when arriving late at night. Bed was comfortable and appreciated the extra blanket provided in the room.

We were at the Best Western with a team of 12 year old Little League baseball players. The staff showed patience with the kids who did get a bit loud at times. They were always giving them encouragement as they left for the games. We appreciate the hotel GM allowing us to use the conference room during the stay for the kids to eat before the games or hang out in during the rain delays. Everyone in Flora showed professionalism and top notch hospitality.

This is a nice hotel-not fancy but I experienced no problems during my stay. The rooms are nice, the AC works well and the bed was very comfortable--also the staff is very pleasant. I will definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the Lorain Inn in Flora, IL was perfect. We were in town for a family reunion and I believe we had most of the rooms. We were greeted with a Welcome Gift and red carpet service that continued throughout our weekend. Very clean rooms and shared facilities. The staff was helpful and friendly.

My husband and I travel to visit family in the area at least a couple of times per year. This is always our hotel of choice even though it's a few miles from where we visit. We love the location, the friendly service, the cleanliness and of course, a lovely breakfast. Our most recent trip was to attend a family funeral and they were booked up for the second night of our requested stay. They put me on a waiting list and called me promptly the next day to share that they had a vacancy and we could stay in the same room for the second night as requested. The staff is always friendly and caring. Always our choice of hotels.

ok stay, would stay again if not able to determine a better motel near by. staff very good, lobby very good, room clean. bed and pillows just ok, shower head great, towels did not dry well. carpet in room could be replaced. sink missing dispense nozzel.

Stayed 4 nights here while visiting family. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very quiet location. Could use some new mattresses and air conditioning unit didn't work real well.

This hotel seriously is lacking in amenities. Rooms were ok (carpets were sticky -- like they'd been cleaned but soap residue not completely removed). Rooms were ok -- not bad, but certainly not great. The bathrooms in the guest rooms are dim and the toilet sits very low. My main complaint is breakfast -- the breakfast area is insanely small for this hotel and it was not well stocked. It's so small that the items (there aren't much of them) can't be stacked on one wall, they're randomly located throughout the very tight room. I'd pass on this one.

Love this hotel. It is cleaner than any other in the area. Competitively priced and has a nice breakfast and very comfortable. Breakfast was from 6-10. We went at 9:30 thinking there wouldn't be much left. To our surprise everything was well stocked and tasted good. People are very friendly and accommodating. This is the only Hotel I will stay at down here. Have never been to a Best Western that wasn't very clean and comfortable. It's a name I trust.

I changed my plans at the last minute and ended up staying here. It was an older hotel and the decorating was somewhat dated, but my room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was typical of a Best Western. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Reasonable accommodations are hard to find in this area. This Best Western is clean, but showing it's age a little bit. My AC was a bit on the noisy side and there was an intermittent knock in the plumbing in the bathroom, but overall, this is a good place to stay!!

I spent two nights here while in the area on business. My project was actually 25 minutes away in Olney but I choose this hotel based on reviews and the extra drive was well worth it! The hotel is clean and well maintained, the rooms are large and very nice. It is comfortable, reasonably priced and an all around excellent value. I would definitely stay here again and I normally don't stay at Best Westerns.

This was a great motel, very quiet and comfortable. Rooms were a nice size. The morning breakfast was very good...eggs sausage biscuits and gravy waffles cereal, yogurt and much more.The staff were very friendly.We plan to stay there on our return trip.

In all honestly the Best Western really is the ONLY place to stay in Clay County. The beds are comfortable, however the walls can be thin so noise carries very easily. I grew up in Flora and walking in the staff at the Best Western treats everyone as if they are family. Everytime i would walk down the halls and see a staff member they would ask how I was, Good Morning, Happy Thanksgiving and so on. I could go on with the positives however there are a few negatives. The breakfast with the exception of the waffle bar is just so so. Biscuits that are cold and hard, and eggs that are the variety you get at McDonalds isn't exactly what I call a good breakfast. The gravy with the biscuits helps out a lot and as I said the waffle bar is fantastic. They lay out cookies every night for guests as well. I highly recommend the Best Western for any traveler who needs a good nights rest.

This place was simple and small- nothing flashy, but felt like I was taken care of in a clean, up-to-date hotel. Breakfast could have been a little better- no water or hot tea, only juices and milk that I could find. The breakfast area was small, but this is a small hotel in a small town. It is dog friendly, but I didn't see areas to dispense of my dogs droppings so I used the giant dumpster they put all of heir trash in. It was convenient for me, but I didn't want that smell in the trash right next to the entrance door.

My husband had a singing engagement in Carmi, IL. He wanted to stay at Best Western. This was the closest one. I was not happy, because it was 45 minutes away, not a Bestwestern Plus and in a small town. I was pleasntly surprised. We stayed in a suite. It was spacious, with a seperate seating area and kitchen. The room was decorated well and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very pleasant.

Very clean rooms and accommodations at a reasonable price. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and willing to assist in our special needs requests. The town itself lacks adequate decent dining establishments, but a Pizza Hut is located next to the hotel, and a McDonald's across the street. Parking is close to the front door and is safe with good lighting. The rooms and hallways are quiet and obscure noise. The hotel was full, but we heard nothing outside of our room. We did not hear any children or noise in our rooms although we had family with many children in the hotel because we were attending a family funeral.

nice clean hotel inside and out. we were in town for a funeral, and was so happy to find this hotel. we will stay again if in the area, or when we travel we will stay at a best western ,no complaints about this motel, other than the sink is not in the bathroom. we would of liked the sink in the bathroom but overall good place to stay.

I needed the extension cord behind the night stand and that area was filthy. Dust build up behind that table was horrendous and there was also a used tissue back there. Refrigerator did not cool well. Bed was like sleeping on a board.

Me and my wife's 21st wedding anniversary.tryed to get a room in olney,they were all booked up.came to flora got the last room.this is a great hotel,very clean,great breakfast.compared to other hotels conteninal breakfast.our back tire on my motorcycle,almost blew out on us.I asked for 1pm checkout,cause sonic law can,t make till 1230pm.they said no problem, that is what business is all about.caring about your customers.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and I am always SO pleased with it. It's clean and the staff is THE best, and their rates are great! I would definitely recommend this hotel! You will not be disappointed!

Highly Recommend this hotel. I have stayed there on 3 different trips in the past year. The service is excellent. It is starting to feel like my home away from home and look forward to each new visit.

Although out in the middle of nowhere, an excellent place to stay with very friendly and accommodating staff especially at that late hour. I recommend this place. It wasn't very far off the beaten path, but just what we needed before returning to Hot Springs Village, AR.

The hotel is clean and fresh. It appears to be recently updated. The bed and pillows were plush. The breakfast included hot items like sausage, egg patties, sausage gravy and waffles. They also had pastries cereal and yogurt. The price was great.

Fast consistent internet connection. Great rooms, neat and clean. Outstanding breakfast bar with great waffle bar toppings. Clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed 3 nights and will stay there again in future when in the area.

This is the only very good motel in Flora. The others were much older and not as modern looking and did not show they were connected to a modern brand motel. We would stay here the next time we visit this area.

Flora Illinois is a nice place to get away from the hustle bustle of the city. It is very rural, very laid back, very casual place. There are historical sites to visit and larger towns to experience shopping, movies etc. that are well within short travel distances.

Very pleasant, professional staff; very, very clean. Continental breakfast was great and offered a very nice variety of choices. Whether just passing through or staying over and/or recommend to others would gladly stay here again.

After a long day of driving it was easy to find the hotel. Was pleasantly greeted upon arrival. Clerk even enrolled me in special frequent stay special offer. Room was quiet and the bed comfy. No problems.

I have been staying at the Lorson Inn for years and it never fails to impress me. This is probably the nicest Best Western franchise you will ever stay at. Book your room ahead of time, it is often full due to it being the only quality hotel in the area. Staff is great! Many recent updates to the hotel itself.

Very nice motel with a few fast food restaurants near by. Room was very clean and smelled nice. Bed was comfortable and had plenty of plug ins for electronic chargers. Breakfast had more to offer than just the regular motel waffles,fruit,and breads. I would definitely stay here again at this motel with the friendly staff

We've stayed here several times over the years. Good location for travelers using US 45 and US 50. Several eating options very near plus service station and a WalMart, CVS, etc. . Rooms and public areas just updated. A well-managed, small modern motel with friendly, helpful staff. A good value.

Always a pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff is excellent! I have had better mattresses, but this was quite comfortable. Breakfast is pleasant and the hotel is clean and well maintained. If you walk outdoors, you will also be pleased.

Best Western has done an excellent job updating this hotel. The room was stylish and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend that you heat up your biscuit in the microwave before eating but other than that the breakfast was great.

Our family of 5 was in town for a wedding and was very pleased with the Best Western. All employees from front desk to breakfast staff were friendly, pleasant, and very helpful. The room was nice and clean with plenty of space. We called ahead and they had a roll away in our room when we arrived as we requested. The shower had great water pressure. Room had everything we needed and wireless worked well, too. The breakfast was nice with waffle maker, a station to make a sausage and egg biscuit, (even had gravy) a fridge with yogurt, cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, and much more. Waffle station had fresh fruit, chocolate chips, whip cream, etc. We would stay here again if back in Flora! Thanks for a great visit!

We've stayed here before and have never been disappointed with the lodging. Fairly priced for a 19 year old BW that has been well maintained --- and is currently being upgraded with new furniture, flooring, etc. Nice breakfast room with eggs, sausage, pancake or waffle-maker, cereals, etc. "Secured" WIFI, flat screen TVs, etc. Quiet location on US 50 at north edge of Flora. Good value. Pizza Hut, Burger King, Subway and McDonald's nearby plus a CVS and WalMart.

Great value. Clean. Spacious. Comfortable sleeping. Breakfast available. Inexpensive bottled water. Easy to get to. Would stay again. Business or pleasure if pleasure in the area. Currently under construction, no carpet in hallway makes sounds from other patrons more audible. Once the construction is done, I'm sure it will be a quieter space.

In a low population such as Flora, there are only about three hotel/motel opportunities available. The Lorson Inn is really the only choice. Great staff, more than adequate rooms, and not even more choices at their breakfast bar make this the only real choice when in the Flora area.

suites are very nice - noisy if next to the elevator - staff is excellent, internet slowed way down around 9 PM - also if you need to print something on the computer in the lobby, it is not connected to a network nor is there a spare jump drive to print from - so very limited with what I needed to do -

Stayed here one night passing through the area. The hotel is in the process of updating. The lobby is nice, inviting and clean. The front desk clerk both at check in and check were very friendly and thanked me for my business. I reserved a King Suite for about $90 and it is a value. The room is large including the bathroom. Plenty of space to feel at home. The room was very clean and quite. Also the temperature was consistent and the blower wasn't too loud. They do offer a free breakfast but I left early so did not have an opportunity to try it. Overall if in the area again I would stay at this hotel as it is a nice clean hotel with friendly staff and reasonable rates.

The hotel lobby and rooms were very clean. Many of the rooms have been remodeled and include a refrigerator and microwave. The baed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and were helpful in finding local restaurants to dine in. For a small town hotel the overall quality and cleanliness of the hotel was a nice surprise.

Always are pleased with our room and haven't had any bad experiences at the Best Western in Flora. It's the only place to stay in town. We have stayed there many times over the years and have always had a pleasant time there.

The Lorson Inn is a very good motel. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They serve what I would call a buffet-style breakfast which is included with the price of the room. All-in-all, the Lorson Inn is a good place to stay when you visit Flora Illinois.

stay here twice a year winter and summer and never had a problem. beds are very comfortable, extra fluffy pillows everything worked..(have stayed in places where it did not). Already booked for summer stay.

This hotel is very clean, up to date,and the staff is friendly. Great value for the money. I came to Flora with my wife, sister in law and brother for a family funeral. Our stay was very comfortable and the breakfast was good too. My brother paid 20.00 more on one of the "discount" sites. I booked my stay on the hotel's website. I would stay here again.

Staff are all friendly, great breakfast. They cater to the hunters during hunting season and are very accommodating. Rooms have recently been updated including beds and décor. Internet service is great. Home town friendly with hometown atmosphere.

On Family business and was extremely pleased at the Lorson Best Western. The staff were over the top friendly. The Hotel was very clean, cutely decorated for Halloween. The breakfast fare was more than satisfactory, from sausage biscuits and gravy, sausage patties and eggs and do it yourself Belgian waffles, with OJ, Milk, coffee, cereal, pastries, all unexpected from this Hotel located in a rural area.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times over the years for work, and have never been disappointed. There are not many hotels to choose from in the area, and this is a very good choice. The rooms are clean and updated, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The free breakfast is OK, but perhaps a little below average, and could benefit from a few more choices. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I needed a room in the area.

This hotel was very nice. The rooms were updated and very clean. The continental breakfast featured a variety of foods and beverages. The hotel is in a great location. The internet was easy to connect.

I regularly stay at this hotel. Never have I encountered a dirty room. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Pizza hut next store, very convenient for the family who enjoys pizza. Wal-Mart about half mile West. Burger King within walking distance. McDonalds, subway across the street.

Very nice hotel, clean and newly remodeled. The people are very courteous. It was close to where I was staying which made it very handy. The breakfast was OK and in a room all by itself. Overall, I was impressed the minute I opened the door to the time we left.

This particular hotel is my number one choice. When visiting family in Southern Illinois, this is a great location for me. Always peaceful and relaxing at this hotel and I always feel at home. Great staff and wonderful breakfast. I've always found it to be clean and the internet is easy to connect and fast. I love this hotel.

My wife and I had another enjoyable stay at this Best Western Inn. The room was very clean and quiet and the breakfast was tasty and filling. This is an extremely clean motel and it is located close to several eating establishments. I would recommend this Inn to anyone wishing to stay in the Flora Illinois area.

If you stay in a motel in Flora, there's not many to choose from. This is easily the best one in town. Hot breakfast, convenient location and friendly staff. It typically has clean rooms as you expect.
