Best Western Elko Inn

We stopped here overnight on our way to Idaho. We usually travel with our two small dogs so we look for pet friendly hotels which this Best Western is. This was our first time staying and had a great night. The room was quiet and clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel has a grassy area to walk dogs right outside one of the exit doors and near the well lit parking lot. Overall we had a nice stay and will keep this place in mind when we pass through here again.

The staff here is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is always great. the location is not far from the freeway and close to all the events held in the Elko area. Rooms are spacious and always clean. I also have to mention the pool. It's indoor and available everyday. Minerals used instead of harsh chlorine. I have been staying here at least twice a year for six years. I will not look for another place to stay.

Stayed at the Best Wester Elko for the first time and found it to be perfect for my needs. Used the pool and hot tub. Fitness center was a little disappointing as there are only 4 machine and no weights but made the best of it. Breakfast was also a nice option but I was unfortunately already at work prior to availability. I would definitely return to this property

The rooms are large, The beds are comfortable. Everything was clean and worked. The breakfast is not quite as good as I remember from a couple years ago but still very acceptable. Plenty of choices and they do have bacon. The location is good and close to casinos and restaurants. I approve.

After discovering we had accidently booked a room for 4 nights in a different town than we were staying in, Best Western was able to accommodate us with very little inconvenience to us even though the hotel and all other hotels in the are were already booked due to a large event happening in the area. AND Best Western in the other town willingly cancelled our reservation even though it was the day were checking in.

We take frequent trips from Idaho to gamble drink and eat and some hiking around. This BW has a great location and vehicle safety as well as hotel safety. Bug spacious rooms and comfort. Hotub is huge and open 24/7. Big indoor pool as well. 24hr workout with videos

We were driving all day and looking forward to fitness room, jacuzzi, and pool for kids. These were advertised on the website. When we got there, ceiling of pool room was caving in from water damage and all facilities were closed. The place had not been properly maintained. The breakfast was bad. No cereal for kids, waffle machine wasn't working and they were out of coffee. We got the bleep out of there as soon as we could.

Room was not thoroughly cleaned. Splatter on sink mirror. Bedsheet was torn. Toilet seat was broken. Tub drained poorly so standing in water for shower. Changed to Comfort Inn. Less money, much cleaner.

I almost always stay at Best Western, but this is the 1st time I have had my reservation changed without my authorization. The only room left was a King rooms, one King Suite that had a sofa bed. Because I was traveling with my brother I needed 2 beds. They switched me to a single King bed without asking. I had to call the night before travel to get it fixed. Even then I got a room that had a faulty door. They also charged me full price for the King suite never refunding the difference. Not very happy with my experience.

I was only in overnight, but I was so pleased with my room. It was huge, the bed was comfy, pillows were too. Bath/shower was clean and good water pressure in the shower. In the room there was a mini fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, tv, etc. The complimentary breakfast was comprehensive - eggs, sausage, breads, muffins, fruit, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, cereals, yogurt, waffle maker, etc. I wanted for nothing, even had a banana for the road. I could have stayed here for a week.

Motel needs updating. Bed was comfortable and the provided breakfast was quite good. Other than that, I was disappointed. Carpet and furnishings were worn and needs replaced. It was clean as well as it could be, regarding the furnishings. Next time I'll look elsewhere.

The hotel was dated and the bread was not very good. They ran out of food, and did not have as many options as other Best Westerns. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. Overall we would not stay here again.

Air conditioner and refrigerator was so loud they had to be turned off. The TV didn't work and I could make coffee in the room because there was no filter baskets. I respectfully reported these issues at check-out. I was told they knew about the TV issue and I should have called the front desk to “walk me through the corrective steps.” They also stated they were aware of the coffee filter basket. Stated, “yeah, we're having a hard time getting those.” I know this isn't a Four Seasons, but stuff should at least work. The customer shouldn't have to get out of bed to call the front desk to be “walked through the corrective steps” to make the TV work. To discover they knew of some of the problems, really made me angry. The person I reported the problems to, never apologized or made any offer of restitution. This BW location (Elko, NV) or any other will not see me as a customer again.

Kelly at the front desk was pleasant and provided excellent service for our Midnight check. Room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Would stay here again if traveling through Elko. Good value for the $

While on Business, stayed at the Best Western Elko Inn. Stay there was excellent. Hotel staf was extremely friendly and very helpful, room was very nice and very clean. All ammenties worked very well. Hotel was easy to get to and I-80 was easy to access the next day. At night, hotel was very quiet and peaceful

This was a good option for staying in Elko. Rooms were big and clean. Comfortable beds. Breakfast area had plenty of seats. Average options for breakfast. They have a nice grassy area for taking pets outside. They had pet rooms on the first floor which is much more convenient. Staff was friendly.

This was a half way stop on a trip to see family in CA. Staff was very friendly at check in and check out. I also had reservations for our trip back to MT and requested the same room as we were very happy with the loacation of the room and it fit our needs as we were traveling with a small pet. Upon check in on our way back I was given the same room.

dirty plunger next to toilet, super small towels that had holes and stains, dirty (ish) sheets (stains), tiny square (???) pillows, tiny TV that didn't really work, disgusting carpets, no sound proofing at all

I leave reviews in real time. Property exterior is fine, a little bit out of town, with a reception area that's clean and well appointed. I checked in (with no mention of my being an Elite Club Member of BW; sometimes they do, sometimes not, but I mention this only because Elite members typically get water -- needless to say, I didn't). Check-in was fairly quick, though I had preregistered. We were given a "pet friendly room," which I guess means a room on the first floor facing the parking lot. Elite members typically are supposed to get better rooms. Oh well. When we opened the door to our room, the beds were unmade. Clearly hadn't been turned over. Left my family waiting in the hallway and went back to reception. With no apologies, they moved our room across the hall (at my request), which means that at least we'd get some kind of view. The room is spacious and bright with a decent view of the distant mountains and passing trains, etc. But the lamps were unplugged (weird) and when went to make a quick cup of coffee, the coffee maker was missing the tray for the coffee packet to fit into. Mentioned this to the manager who happened to be walking down the hall, and she said she'd get right on it. 30 minutes later and still no sign (though she did look pretty busy). Also noticed that the room is missing a smoke alarm (wires are just hanging from the ceiling above the beds). Isn't that some sort of code violation? Will just count on there being no fire tonight. The beds are true queens and the room is spacious, bright, and clean. Will update as needed before we check out tomorrow, but so far, it's been pretty "Meh."

Our last night after a month long road trip landed us in Elko. The Best Western was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was the usual BW fare. It was served in a clean and friendly environment. We'd certainly stay here again.

The first room we get is unproperly cleaned, there is open ceiling tiles and leaking sielings in the hallway. The television doesnt work and the bathtub doesnt drain. We paid 140 dolllars for this. I truely think that nobodys should even think about going to this hotel.

I was not to happy passing through a few months ago. But this trip was great. The staff was professional and the room was awesome. Furniture upgrade to include the TV. The breakfast has improved and the lady running the kitchen is outstanding. As always the coffee is better than most hotels. The price to have our dog with us is reasonable, Comfortable bed and linen. Parking is amenable for our horse trailer. Another plus.

Our reason for this trip was a sad one: we were trying to find a cat who escaped in the area. The staff were so sympathetic and helpful and good-humored, and the room itself was so comfortable. And the breakfast: a waffle iron and biscuits and gravy, yes please!

Front desk staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good! great location, very quiet, very clean bathrooms. I would recommend this Best Western, if you ever find yourself in Elko Nevada!

Comfortable, clean, hot breakfast, courteous staff. At the east end of Elko, across from casino (once the Red Lion). Ice machine was broken when I was there. The front office put out bagged ice for customers, which is a sign to me of a staff that provides good guest service.

the room was clean, the beds were comfortable. the pool and jacuzzi was open 24 hours which was amazing! the breakfast buffet was your typical best western style. waffle. bacon, eggs. not great but edible to get you going in the morning. i would stay here again

My daughter was having a baby in elko. My other son is in a wheelchair. They got us right in. The rooms were very clean. The TV is kinda small but everything else was very awesome. The front desk very professional

We have been staying at this property for approximately the last 20 years. Our daughter moved from Sacramento to Denver about 25 years ago and we found it to be a comfortable stopping point. This trip we pleased to find that they added a breakfast burrito to the breakfast menu

Not recommended. Room not as advertised, paid for a large King. Room was sparsely furnished and was told I was paying for the square footage, not the furniture. Carpets dirty, lamp missing from one side of bed.

My family needed a place to go cause our pipes broke. We love the best western cause the staff is amazing, and it's so clean. We are always welcome to bring our dogs and that's where they got us. Our oets are às welcome as we are!

Really nice staff. Ironically the foyer was blocked off due to busted pipes but the ice machine at the far end of the first floor is still broken and the one near the desk was intermittent. Nice big parking lot if you are pulling a trailer. The breakfast is ok. The coffee is great. The remainder is so, so. Pet friendly, which I appreciate. A bit more noise than our last few visits.

Pool and hot tub don't work, breakfast was cold, stale and bland. The room smelled and was dirty. The bathtub was disgusting, I chose not to shower. Check out is at 11 but the cleaning crew starts knocking at 7 AM and continues to knock every 30 minutes until you leave.

The genuine care of the employees here along with a great breakfast, clean room, and homey reception area made this the best stay ever!!! The employees cared about their guests because they genuinely cared about each other. Such great camaraderie among them all made for a very peaceful, happy, pleasant experience.

Nice room, especially after a tough day. I had a room booked quite a distance but the hotel was closed when I got there. Best Western customer service was extremely helpful booking this room for me and taking care of all the details as I continued driving. I was greeted cheerfully and after a quick check in right to the room. The breakfast in the morning was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I also am sold on Best Western as a chain and try always to book there first. This I was very impressed with customer service after the only problem I have ever faced at Best Western. Highly recommend!!!!!

It was a wonderful stay. The price and room was exceptional. The staff were wonderful. The night staff and the breakfast staff were wonderful and the Breakfast selections were awesome. I would definitely stay here again.

Tub would almost over flow if you showered room had trash still in it no shampoo or conditioner in room electrical issues pool hot tub and fitness room out of service reported and nothing happened with room issues dirty room don't stay no one cares not even managers

Had to stop over in Elko due to weather. We have stayed here before on past trips. It is a reliable stay as far as price, service, etc. Breakfast is decent, and the pool is nice if you have kids that need to work off some steam. My only complaint would be that there is only one elevator located in the lobby. If you do not have a ton of luggage to move upstairs, then that will not be a concern.

Hope you don't want a tv with your room. I had to call the front desk to make it work, the worker acted like it was a well kept secret on how to get the tv to work. He came down and fixed it… but, who in their right mind wants to call the front desk every time they turn on the tv???? Ridiculous that they wouldn't have it fixed. Oh and don't ask for a room by a door. Even with all the blinds open to see that those rooms weren't occupied…. They still couldn't get my request right.

We were traveling from Reno to Salt Lake and last minute decided to stay in Elko to be more refreshed for the next day. Great stay, friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast, great rate. What more could you need?!?

This Best Western met two of the most important things I want in a hotel which are cleanliness and a quiet room. The bonuses are location, reasonable rates and extremely pleasant and helpful staff. There are many other hotel options in Elko but after staying here in 2021 there was no need to look any further for our stay this year.

Overall It was good Experience the Pool was enjoyed by my teenage daughter and my cousin and i enjoyed the hot tub before we went back and curled up. The Family Suite we were in was big enough we each had our own beds so no one had to share. It was GREAT!

Very good location. Many dining options nearby. Has one of the nicer pools at BWs we have used. Very pet friendly… be sure to visit the pet wall next to the lobby. Lobby was extravagantly decorated for Halloween, so it is anticipated other holidays will have similar recognition. Nice touch.

Friendly and pleasant staff, beautifully appointed hotel. The hotel lobby and breakfast room had nice fall decorations up making the place feel welcome which is great when you've been travelling for a while.

Traveling across America staying in budget hotels that are under $150 a night it is hard to find clean, nice sheets and modern look. The Best Western Hotel chain was the best. We stayed here in Elko and Arcata, both exceed expectation. We were traveling with our Dog!

Traveling from California to Denver. Nice place to rest our heads. Nice shower. Breakfast was available and looked good, we just aren't breakfast people. Staff was nice and friendly. Quiet environment.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting our family. It was quiet and conveniently located and had friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a gourmet breakfast this is not it but for a free continental breakfast it was good. The pool area is exceptional. The pool is just a little cold but not awful. I did have to take the kids out after about 15 min because their lips were turning blue and they started to shiver which is not typical of a heated indoor pool. It was enough time to keep them happy with the fact they got to swim so all good. If you are not a 50 pound child you may want to bring a towel from your room the towels they provide in the pool area are great sized for small children. The few staff interaction I had were amazing they were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are into quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly hotels.

My boyfriend and I were on the road nearly 7 weeks...other than a few weeks with friends or family we were in hotels each night. Some not so good and other's excellent. This was one of the better BW's and I was thankful when we checked in and saw the room and the facilities. Breakfast was refreshing as well...Hotel breakfasts get a little boring after a while. We stayed in BW's a majority of the time and some were very disappointing but not this one....Its so nice when traveling to find a comfortable and clean room that allows you a good nights sleep.

Very impressed with the front desk check in clerk. I had called in advance to check on vacancy status at this location. The front desk employee asked for my name but didn't require a reservation. When I arrived, the front desk clerk had my room ready and was extremely kind. Great service overall.

We were greeted by a lovely guy on reception, I had booked the room twice by mistake But he quickly sorted my oversight. the hotel was comfortable and breakfast was good too. Would recommend as a stopover.

The hotel front desk staffs were friendly. The room was clean and large with comfortable bed. Location was good, it was reasonable distance to Lamoille Canyon. We will stat again on when we are on the road. We recommend to my friends.

We are on a two-month vacation in the Northwest and the Elko NV location is another example of a hotel that has great staff trying to overcome short staffing and rundown conditions. Best Western needs a major updating of many of it's lodges - or sell to someone who can and will.

From start to finish it was a terrible experience. They couldn't find my reservation at first, then when they did they gave me a much smaller room than I booked and that took close to an hour to do. Then when I walked into the room it was obviously occupied, thank goodness the occupants weren't in there as I had my two young grandchildren with me. After that, the clerk at the front desk where I had to return after unloading all our luggage, was so stoned out of her mind she couldn't help anyone. When we finally got a room it was dirty. We had requested a cot since it was a smaller room and it took multiple times contacting guest services and finally the manager, before it arrived, with dirty linens on it. The shower wouldn't drain at all, air conditioning filters were filthy, room smelled, no toilet paper and the list just goes on and on. Don't ever stay at this location. I've stayed at many different Best Western locations, and this one was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. They obviously have real issues there. I've never written a bad review in my life, but this place deserves it!

This hotel is very outdated and very short staffed. When we arrive for our stay there were several laundry carts and bags full of trash in the hallway as we walk to our room. I was pretty disgusted with this with this site. Our room didn't feel clean to me. Not up to usual Best Western standards. The bathroom had been painted over with paint slopped up on the tile and the tile looked like it had mold on the ground I definitely did not feel clean in the bathroom. the bed was lumpy and the pillows were in disarray . The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It wasn't their fault that the hotel is in such bad condition. I think Best Western needs to update these older hotels in the western States. I am a loyal Best Western member but I will not stay at this hotel in Elko Nevada again.

Even with having made reservations, we had to wait almost 1.5 hours before our room was ready. After a long day of travel (with kids and a dog), the last thing we wanted to do was hang out in the parking lot! According to a few of the staff I talked to, this happens all the time as they are shitet staffed. They need to limit the number of rooms they book until they hire more people! I felt really bad for the staff that showed up every day and work their tails off only to deal with grumpy customers (who can blame them, though?) because rooms aren't ready. My advice? Book at another hotel!

Too many guests and not enough staff. Long waits for any service, including check ins. Almost 2 hours. No exaggeration. Keys kept giving out because the hotel isn't investing enough into upkeep either. This hotel has potential, but needs more money spent on staff and system upkeep.

We have stayed here several times traveling with our guide dog. This is one of the nicest dog friendly hotels that we have stayed at. They have pet friendly rooms that are close to the dog walking area. The dog walking area is easily accessible, safe and well taken care of. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean, and the other facilities are very nice.

Staff were all very helpful. From check in staff to desk staff when we left. They were also very friendly and pleasant in greeting us. Rooms were clean. Pool was nice. Breakfast was great and served to us.

The staff is awesome, pet friendly, plenty of drive through parking when you have a rig. If you are hauling horses the Elko Fairgrounds are near by and take overnight boarders. Breakfast is ok, works in a pinch. Beds are great,

We like Best Westerns because usually we can count on a decent, clean place to stay. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was average - comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfortable. There were a few issues that we alerted to staff, but nothing that made us think we wouldn't stay there again. Good enough breakfast and location to quickly get out and on the road again.

This Best Western never disappoints. Comfortable beds and pillows, a great shower, a full breakfast with hot and cold selections and a sizable breakfast room. The staff here is GREAT. The rooms and public areas smell fresh and clean.

We travel lot all over the US and usually stay with Marriott, IHG, or Hilton, but out in the west hotels choices are sometimes fewer. Best Western is a brand that offers a lot of hit and misses. We decided to give BW Elko a try on a recent trip to northern central Nevada. Leah at the front desk checked us in. She was super friendly and very helpful. We stay in a first floor king room. The room was clean and very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Room came with a bigger fridge than most rooms I've stayed at recently. The bathroom was large and the shower had strong presser with made for a very relaxing shower. The breakfast starts at 4am for early risers and was hot and very good. We stayed two days and found both breakfasts very good and a great way to start the day. After two nights, we checked out with Teresa in the morning and she was friendly and helpful as well. Overall this stay was a great find for us whenever we are in the area again this is a hotel we will certainly stay at again - It was a great find.

Amazing friendly, helpful staff who actually enjoy customers and best of all their pets. The have a pet picture wall of all off their 4 legged guests. Spacious clean comfortable rooms. Will definitely stay again.

This is a great property and hospitality in true sense. The front desk staff to the GM, were all very friendly and ready to please you any way they can. Rooms are clean, breakfast is served with homemade muffins and they are tasty! We will be back to stay at this property next time or work brings us to elko. Best hotel in elko

Stopped here for a quick overnight stay while driving cross country. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pool area was very nice. Leslie(I may have the name wrong, I'm terrible) was super cool at the desk and gave me some nice dinner recommendations. Hotel could use a facelift but nothing regarding cleanliness. I'd definitely stay here again.

rooms was very clean and comfortable. Hotel was easy to find .front desk staff very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was nice a lot of choices. The kids loved swimming in the pool. Check out process was a breeze.

This was our first time traveling with our guide dog. The hotel is very dog friendly. Our room was near the door that led out to the outside dog spot. We had a single king bed and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious. There were dog treats and dog food for sale in the lobby.

The Elko Inn was the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at! Period! We had two rooms that cost us $1500 for the week. The beds were extremely hard. One of them had the mattress replaced, it was no better. Pillows were worn out and had to be replaced. Cover and sheets in room 124 were torn, shredded and or ripped. How could they rent a room that cost so much with such disregard to quality. Chair at the desk was broken and in need of replacement. When I mentioned it to the general manager, with a phony smile on her face, she admitted the hotel was in need of repairs. She stated with the Supply Chain problem due to the Covid Virus they were having problems getting the needed replacements. However if you read the comments left by others over the last two years you will see others claiming the same. On one morning of our seven night stay, the kitchen lady forgot to light the trays holding Sausage patties and cheese omelets. As a result the food was served at room temperature, how long this food was at the unsafe temp don't know. what I do know this was against health codes and very dangerous to serve. I told her so. She should have thrown this food away, which she did not. There was not hot water for the last two days of our stay, resulting in us unable to take showers due the sub zero temps outside.

A long-standing Best Western, it is still a good place to stay even though it is showing its age a bit. Slightly noisy with folks in the hall at 2:30-3:00 am [not workers getting up for work at the miens]. Large rooms are comfortable

This Best Western was very nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Pool was open 24 hours (my kids thought this was the best!). Breakfast was delicious with tons of options and there was a friendly kind staff member helping guest.

Great Staff and dog friendly. This is an older hotel with a few cosmetic items that need to be attended. The breakfast is decent and enough. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet, and spacious. Plenty of parking even for those pulling a trailer. When in Elko this is where we will stop.

Room was filthy. 2 out of 4 lamps didn't work. Shower curtain, carpet, chair were stained. Baseboards looked liked they weren't cleaned in 2 years. Heating/cooling unit only blew too hot or too cold of air. Refrigerator was hot. And the noise was horrendous. When u booked the room, instatared numerous times we have a dog. Upon check in, the woman who booked it, failed to book our dog.

If it weren't for our Best Western travel rewards, we would probably stay someplace else in Elko. We have stayed there many times and every room smells like dirty ashtray. Never got our rewards for one of our stays this year. Lobby is clean, comfortable, and always adorably decorated. Desk employees are usually helpful and friendly, with one exception. Great breakfast, though!

Rooms are very clean,staff is very pleasant. Breakfast was marvelous, and the BK lady was very accommodating.She makes fresh muffins each morning-an absolute windfall! My wife asked if she could make Nutella cupcakes-and voila-there they were the next morning. Internet is very fast and very reliable! 2 Dryer/2Washer laundry room is better than most! Ample parking ,lots of handicap parking, elevator to 2nd floor (rather rare in our experiences elsewhere). Bathrooms need to be updated, and have the tub walls properly cleaned in an area with hard water. My tepid overall rating is based on 1 factor alone. Hotel webpage claims "We have put stickers on the door lock so you know no one has been in the room since it was disinfected. All the staff members wear masks and gloves when needed. " Well.. actually few of the front desk staff wear masks, and those who do only cover their mouths, slipping the masks on and off,as it suits them. The (very pleasant and helpful) housekeeping staff goes around with masks dangling around their necks. Maintenance staff doesn't even bother with the mask stuff. There are signs in lobby and elevator stressing the need to wear masks,like it or not. Well..Actions speak louder than words (lip service in this case). As in much of Nevada, customers wear masks only when it suits them . Hotel exercises ZERO enforcement of the state ordered masking requirements.. There is NO enforcement of this hotel franchises claim to implementing "best safe practices." All in all, the usual "attitudinal outlook" . However business practices are NOT based upon the opinions or whims of staff. ( Elsewhere local stores (Walmart,Smiths, Albertsons, Raleys ) have a similar tolerance for customers who don't give a damn.) So....a very nice-to-wonderful hotel . More or less.

Nice and Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Rooms ok. Clean but hotel little out dated. We travel back n forth from California to Montana. Stay here alot . One night only. Dog friendly. The motel just needs to update rugs in rooms.

Very nice updated hotel with inside hallways and an elevator! Full hot breakfast as of Sept 2021, very large, quiet, comfortable, clean room. Full breakfast with served over a counter, excellent hot coffee to.o Enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it highly. The only negative issues were: at 8:30 am a male housekeeper walked down the hall knocking on doors loudly yelling "housekeeping" to verify who was still in their rooms. Very disconcerting, and if you were still asleep he would have woken you up. But we were up because breakfast ends at 9 am - so early a time for leisure travelers who might prefer to sleep in a bit before breakfast. Room was very clean but the back of the bathroom door was splattered with something that should have been wiped off before releasing room. (Covid cleaning protocols?) Service was rude to me at check in treated me like I was dumb I stayed another night in a diffrent room and had a diffrent lady with black hair told me somthing diffrent from the day before.pool was disgusting and hot tub rooms smelled bad and beds were not clean

The facility was nice, but the faint odor of dog was in the room and hallway. The breakfast staff was very good. Do not expect polite service from the desk staff. They are completely non responsive to any issue.

The hotel is very old. It needs remodeling really bad. The bed was nice but the bedding was horrible. They was ripped and sewn and had several stains. The carpets and bathroom floors were dirty. Cleaned bathroom floor myself. The toilet ran all night. Maintenance blamed the brand of toilet. Was given a room that had been smoked in and not properly re cleaned. I was moved three times.

This was the best breakfast we have had at a BW in 3 years. Outstanding service, a smile on every employee's face, very helpful in directions and restaurant recommendations. And just pleasant to deal with. It was very worthwhile to stay here. Quiet, clean, and we love the height of the shower spray! Great for tall people.

Great place to visit. Staff was extremely helpful and great! Breakfast was excellent and the staff was friendly and willing to take the extra step required if needed. Room was clean and slept well. Will be back soon to visit again.

This BW is very clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Our room faced the parking lot, and was still very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the room felt very clean. Free breakfast is good enough. Breakfast server was also friendly, like the rest of the staff.

Our family stayed overnight here. The rates were high, maybe it was because we booked it late in the day. We enjoyed our stay. Overall, room was clean, the breakfast fantastic, and the pool area/ hot tub was great.

If you're just traveling through Nevada to get to a different state, this hotel works for that purpose. Unfortunately, if you get a room not near the elevator, prepare for hiking to your room from your car and back and forth. Room was OK.

I usually have good luck staying at a Best Western. For being out in nowhere NV, this one was pretty pricey at $133 a night. Wasn't until after I unpacked I noticed the sheets on one of the two beds in my room. There were at least 5 large yellow stains on the white sheets. I was traveling with friends and decided to just use the other bed rather than disrupt our evening. When I reported it via Best Western's online review request, I simply got a form letter back from the manager there. She didn't address the issue at all. Pretty sad IMO.

Coming in at just under $200 after taxes and fees, I expected this hotel to be a lot nicer than it was. It has been slightly updated with the beds and furniture but everything else is very outdated. My main problem was the cleanliness. The overall appearance is not inviting and the room wasn't completely clean. The chair in our room had crumbs under the seat cushion, there were little garbage pieces and hair in the corners, and the bathtub had a lot of hard water residue buildup. Overall, it felt gross. While I didn't have any problems with the staff, they just weren't very inviting. I got a very weird vibe like that they don't enjoy their jobs. They weren't overly friendly, or friendly at all, but more neutral. From the moment I walked in, it just wasn't an inviting atmosphere. The two positives were the full breakfast which was good for a crappy hotel and the pool. The pool was a decent size and our kids had a lot of fun in it. For the price, I will never stay here again. We visited family and most likely will be returning annually to do so. I will find a cleanlier, friendlier, more updated hotel for the same price.

We have stayed here every summer for the past five years while passing through on our way to Montana. We've always had a pet with us. Unfortunately, the hotel has continued to go downhill to the point that we will no longer stay here. Room was not clean, especially the furniture. No one wants to change hotels after driving ten hours with a pet, so we stayed. Also, supplies were very low in the kiosk and the staff said the manager had been trying to order candy for two weeks. Really? No Amazon or WalMart.Com available in Elko?

This place is great. Price is fair, the building is older but clean. There are a lot of pluses to the older building. The rooms are really big, the bathroom has a great split, toilet and tub with sink and mirrors outside. Bathroom has a fan. Things were designed right when this was made. Hotel was quiet and beds were comfy. I would stay again. WiFi was fast and easy to hook up, fire stick did not work with tv, but it looked like someone else had theirs working. So may be possible. Interesting quirk, Christmas tree still up in the lobby.

It's a good, clean house with a terrific staff. After 4 hours or so on a Harley in 100 degree heat I staggered up to the front desk and was greeted by Terra, the front desk manager. Made to feel very welcome she helped me with a few special requests and made sure I was happy. I'll be back……..

We needed a close clean quiet quick place to stay a while coming from outta town to clean out old family storage. This did the trick! Affordable rates, clean room & facility, great & quick service, breakfast to make the day easier... Cool, comfy, inviting. Thanks for making a unfun task a little bit smoother by letting us rest our tired bodies in a great place! We would recommend this location anytime!

After a long drive from Sacramento, the quality of this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable room. The amenities were very nice. I would definitely consider using Best Western Plus on any future trips.

After 8 hours on the road with our cat (our family) we stayed here and it was just what we needed. We were afraid of ratty motels that take pets and this was the opposite. The room was nice and comfortable, and our cat loved the view of the mountains and the train. The room was also really clean - who knew pets had been there previously?!

This was a quick overnight stop, but I would have no hesitation in staying at this BW on a longer trip. The rooms were in good condition, the beds comfortable, etc. The staff was very good. The woman that checked me in was leaving for the day when I walked in. Since the other desk person was already busy with another customer, she put down her purse and took the time to get me processed, which would not have been expected. In addition, the person at the breakfast bar was outgoing and pleasant. She took my order for an omelette and invited me to sit down while she made it, then brought it out when it was ready. In that circumstance, again it was beyond what I would have normally expected.

This was once a nice property but now in need of cleaning and maintenance. The carpet and chair in our room was filthy. The phone in our room hadn't been cleaned in ages! The bathtub wouldn't drain properly. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Will not stay here again.

Great experience staying at Best Western Elko, NV. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast options were better than we expected. Would definitely recommend this location.

I left my last go to hotel because a front desk receptionist would not let me check in an hour early when I had just drove from several states away. Best Western went above and beyond and I hope you remain my new go to :)

I have stayed at a few Best Westerns across Nevada as I travel for work and have not been disappointed yet! By far the Best Western in Elko is the best one I have stayed in! The staff is friendly and really take care of your patrons.

I stayed here I while I was working in a small town 96 miles away. I liked the rooms and a lot of places to eat close walked to a few of them. Everyone seemed great and I was expecting a package and they were right on top of it when it showed up. The breakfast had some hot food choices and make me a low carb breakfast. I will stay there again.

The young lady at the front desk over night was very helpful. She met us with a smile and pleasant attitude. Very warm and welcoming. We were tired and she made check in a breeze. Thank you Shawnna we will be back.

I always stay here when in Elko. I have tried other hotels and always have gone back so I just don't try any place else in Elko. I have been staying here for 20 plus years. I've seen name changes but this hotel always exceeds expectaions.

Didn't have reservations and they were very accommodating. Nice room, reasonable price, great restaurant close by, and pet friendly (even though we didn't have our pets with us). We would definitely stay there again.

We have stopped at this best western many times and have always been pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the rooms. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Its a great halfway stop when we go on ski vacations!

This was half way to Yellowstone and looked like best place to stop. I've stayed at Best Westerns before and they are usuall dependable for one night stays as clean and safe. AFter this stay, I recommend that any drivers from CA take an extra couple hours and stop in Twin Falls ID. A lot nicer hotels to choose from as well as best places to eat. How this Best Western has good reviews is a mystery. Our room was just gross. Smelled like cigarettes and the carpet was filthy. I keep my bag zipped closed so nothing could jump in. The beds were not uncomfortable but the whole place just felt dirty so not restful. On the plus side, the check in people were super nice and, although we didn't eat it, the breakfast looked decent as we walked by. We slept and got out as quickly as we could.

This hotel is a very friendly and pet friendly place to stay. Even with COVID-19 they offer a nice breakfast that is plated for by staff behind a partition. You can then eat there or return to your room to eat. I got back on the road feeling the most refreshed I'd felt on the entire trip.

In our 3-week drive around the Pacific Northwest this property had the best COVID practices of any hotel/motel that we stayed at, hands down. Really enjoyed the pool, which was heated to just the right temperature. The breakfast buffet was exceptionally done with the best variety we saw anywhere (and a server too!). The knock on the place is its age. Key cards have to be jiggled to get into one's room or even side entrances. Also, someone keeps propping open a side door which could pose a security risk at some point in time. Parking is more than adequate but I'd love to see a few more shade trees. It's pet-friendly with a small area to walk a dog. It's location isn't too far from the main highway and also not far from the state road to the state line/Duck Valley reservation. The scenery in nearby valleys as well as on the road is superb. We were here to visit a friend but Mother Nature shines a smile on this area.

I would highly recommend this hotel for a business trip or if staying as a couple for a couple days. The staff overall is nice & courteous. The room we stayed in was very nice. They have a pool & spa both being sanitized with the salt method so not highly chlorinated like some & they are very positive. It's close to the highway and yet far enough away from I-80 & not downtown. It's a little older but is being well maintained. I am gluten free so the only thing I could eat was some of the Cheerios but my husband enjoyed them. (They prep the cereal ahead of time & cover each w seran wrap) The manager is very nice & tries hard to please & understand.

It was our last leg of a great road trip and it was so disappointing to end it on this. The positives? The desk agents were nice. Their gym was open. They have a large indoor pool (bigger than most). That's all the positives I have. I don't know where to start. Even my dog didn't want to stay here. After a very long drive, I took her to the back area to go potty. There were no bags in the dispenser. There were cigarette butts EVERYWHERE. My dog refused to go there. When we walked to our room the overwhelming smell of air freshener was so bad it was difficult to breathe. We figured out why as we turned the corner and discovered a large garbage dumpster (yes it was INSIDE) under the stairwell completely full and overflowing so much that there were stockpiles of garbage surrounding it. Then it took 4 attempts to get into our room. Not only did the key card reader NOT work outside by our room exit but it didn't work to open the room itself. We had to get new keys twice. The carpet was dirty - you could tell that right away. There were dark brown (God knows what) stains on the only chair. Everything was outdated. Upon our departure (which wasn't soon enough) the next day, there was a huge staff meeting in the lobby! Really?? That's where you hold your staff meetings? I honestly will NEVER stay here again or recommend it. If you give it more than 2 stars, your standards must be pretty low.

We have stayed here many times and it just keeps getting more run down. This time rear doors wouldn't open with room card, AC was noisy, and at 10:30 PM everyone in the hotel was awakened by a shrieking fire alarm that sent everyone out into the parking lot for 30 minutes until fire dept shut it off. And they charged us and our dog $170!

My family was passing through late Friday 8/14 early morning 8/15. We were on our way to UT from CA. We called ahead to see if you had anything was available. Joe was awesome. We talked to Joe on the phone. Joe was at the front when we got there. We really appreciated the kindness and hospitality. We will for sure stay there again if we are passing through again. Our hotel room was super dated and dimly lit with old soiled carpets, worn out furniture, non-working refrigerator, finicky TV remote, broken sink fixture, and the toilet seat had a long black hair on it when we walked in. I realize now that staying at a Best Western is a crap shoot. I've stayed at some great ones, but this one was bad. While the front desk staff was personable and the beds were adequate, I would not recommend this place at all.

Staff was efficient and friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids in the room above us were not supervised. They were jumping on the beds and floors and screaming until 9:30PM. Hard to get to sleep at 8:30. The breakfast was cold watery scrambled eggs, cold soggy French toast. I did not enjoy it at all.

Arrived to a masked, friendly, welcoming from day attendents. Room was not available, as expected , so we spent the morning looking around Elko, shopping for our camp supplies. We were let into our room 2 hours early, and found the room cleaned, sanitized and welcoming. Furnishings were newish, and sparse, but also adequate. Given all the issues, we are glad we booked here. We feel as safe as possible from staff. It is the arriving guests that do not heed call for social distancing or use of face masks as requested, or required. They are my concern with pandemic in full spread in this county.

The pool was large and warm. The hot tub was refreshing. The staff answered all our questions about restaurants were open for dine in. They allowed us to park our motorcycles under cover at the front door of the hotel.

We found this hotel to be clean and taking covid seriously with all precautions being taken. Room was big and well maintained, staff seemed jovial and willing to engage. The GM at property was very welcoming as well and offered us discounts to nearby restaurants which was nice. Very beautiful best western indeed.

Arrived at hotel around 6:30 AM exhausted from driving many hours. Stopped at the Best Western the exterior looked nice. Amanda the desk clerk that checked us in was very helpful. When we got to the room pulled down the sheets to lay down first thing we saw were stained sheets and hair in the bed. I called the front desk Amanda came to the room and witnessed what we saw. She moved us to another room. Those sheets were worn and stained too but no hair. Being exhausted we laid down for about 3 hours. Looking forward to a shower before getting back on the road. Well, NO HOT WATER and the tub wouldn't drain. We decided we'd had enough my son didn't try to shower we left. On our way out the desk clerk “Sterling” very rudely said my GM said you can have a 10% discount that's all you're getting back. She treated us like dirt. I called Best Western customer service to report the poor room condition. After customer service contacted the GM at the property she said the Head Housekeeper said there were No hairs in the bed. I give up the bed sheets are stained and worn thin. The shower didn't have Hot water. My suggestion DON'T stay at this hotel find another. We called Holiday Inn Express but there were no rooms available until 11 AM. I wish I had read the reviews before staying at this miserable excuse for a “Best Western” unbelievable.

Excellent service and very friendly managing couple. The difficulties caused by the recent virus issue were overcome with preparation the night before of an excellent sack type breakfast. We shall stay there again.

My first trip to Elko. Overall the hotel was fine. Don't have anything to compare it to. The shower never had hot water which wakes you up but would have been nice. The staff was friendly and were attentive during check in and any time walking through the lobby.

Very efficient and helpful staff. The rooms are large and clean. Just what you would expect from a Best Western. It's walkable to the Convention Center. The beds were from and comfortable for 3 nights. Planning on returning next January for the Cowboy Poetry Gathering. They even had a Cowboy poet for breakfast! Speaking of breakfast, theirs seemed to be the same as you would get in any US hotel chain these days. Coffee was only OK. This is a great choice if you are staying in Elko. No casino smoke!!!

We enjoy staying at this location because the staff are always welcoming and personable. The pool is open 24 hours which is great when you arrive later in the evening. The breakfast is great, there are many options if you are a little hungry or a lot hungry.

We were in Elko to help a son move to town... we had two large dogs with us... this property welcomed the dogs, made travel with dogs easy... with treats... It was the Cowboy Poetry gathering... they decorated the halls with sayings... The property was clean, well maintained... This is a place where travelers and contractors stay... they take care of both groups... The breakfast was great... made in their kitchen... I note that the manager visited the dining room talking to guests about their experience... These people care...

Comfortable. Safe. Good location. Nice, helpful staff. clean. Good restaurants nearby. I usually stay at this hotel when I am in Elko. The Mexican restaurant just down the road from the hotel has good food and drinks.

We had to have the staff come in twice to clean and it still was not satisfactory. The first for a sticky floor and the second to take out some empty beer bottles that were missed. The kitchenware was also poor and we bought our own pan at Albertsons to cook in.

We were very happy with the accommodations ....... other guests shared our opinion as well. We had the best nights rest at this location of our entire trip. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. We were treated kindly by the front desk staff. Our room was large and well appointed. The hotel was quiet, although it was not very full. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean. We were sorry we arrived so late because the indoor pool and hot tub looked inviting. The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of choices like fresh cut fruit salad, biscuits and gravy, sausage casserole, oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, cereal, waffles and pastries and breads. I would stay here again!

I've had the opportunity to stay at the Best western three times in the past month. Every time I've been very pleased both with the service and cleanliness of this hotel. It is centrally located and convenient to downtown. The staff is always very pleasant and the breakfast is delicious. I will be back!

We just needed a place to stay for one night. We have two Border Collies and often we have trouble finding hotels that take dogs and aren't too expensive or run down. This hotel was a great price, allowed dogs and had great amenities. I loved the pool. I could swim at any time I wanted. There was easy access to take the dogs out when needed. I would definitely stay here again!!

Wowza ! .... if you're a fan of Best Westerns, this is one of my favorites .... I've stayed in BW all across the states & I will ALWAYS stay here when in Elko. GREAT staff, GREAT cleanliness, extremely helpful management and tasty continental breakfast ! (Hot choices as well as standard toast/cereal/fruit...biscuits & gravy, casseroles etc.). On the night we were there, they had a customer appreciation thank you continental dinner - complete with beverages & desert .... and it was very tasty & filling ❤️. This location has quite a few workers/miners that stay here, so they are really geared towards customer service: breakfast starts EXTRA early (04:30) and it was nicely quiet after about 7pm. If you want clean rooms, good beds & a restful night at a good price - STAY HERE.

Check in was quick and easy with a friendly and welcoming staff. The lobby had a refrigerator with drinks and microwaveable items such as Marie Calendars pot pies, hot pockets, etc. at a reasonable price. This was a welcome surprise as I really didn't want to go back out to eat. The room was older but updated. Everything was clean and the breakfast room was well stocked.

Staff was very friendly, room was big and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. WiFi worked well and we enjoyed the fitness room. I would definitely stop here again on the way to visit our granddaughter in Missoula!

Amazing hotel...would definitely stay here again. Was in a great area and the amenities were awesome. Indoor pool was great and was in walking distance of great food and casino. Rooms were nice and staff were great.

We decided to stay at BW-Elko that morning. I called and got a reservation with no problem. This is important because we have a dog. They found my information from previous stays and getting the reservation was very easy and quick. When we arrived all the paperwork was waiting for me to sign and verify. They ran my credit card and we went to the room. We had stayed there before so it was what we expected. Tazoi looks at the rooms as "home" so there was no anxiety there. Plus other dogs outside and in the hall relaxed him.We got up for breakfast in the morning and our checkout paperwork was under the door. After breakfast we hit the road again well rested and fed! Thanks Best Western!

The hotel is nice. It was clean and the breakfast was good with lots of options. I have an Apple laptop. I could not get on the internet. The front desk staff was very helpful and we tried for 1 1/2 hours to get the internet working for me. The told me that this happens several times a week with Apple computers. They had me on the phone with their service provider and they could not help. They say it is something internal to the hotels systems. After giving up and going to bed the idiot who was out of country support called me at 2:15 am to ask me to try the computer. Yes, I was asleep. No, my computer did not have internet. Nice hotel, great staff but a totally worthless internet access if you have something other than a Windows/Android system. I travel between the SF Bay Area and Salt Lake frequently and will not stay at this BW again unless this issue is resolved.

Pleasant, clean, quiet property with very friendly staff, big room, and easy access to town and freeway. The free breakfast was good, and the fact local businesses and contractors use this hotel means breakfast is available from 4 a.m.

Arriving after an 8 hour drive on a very hot day, this place welcomed us with a friendly staff person who quickly checked us in, a beautiful, sparkling clean HUGE swimming pool (big enough for lap-swimming!) and hot tub, very well equipped exercise room, a very clean and decently sized motel room, and nice green grass right outside the door to accommodate our pooch. Not to mention dog biscuits on the front counter at check in. The breakfast was very much better than most motel fare, with fresh cut seasonal fruit, fresh berries for the waffles, and seriously good scrambled eggs with peppers. The management at this motel shows attention to detail in many small ways, obviously they take pride in their establishment. We will always stay here when passing through Elko.

Son and I passed thru Elko on our trip and were able to sleep well. Staff was helpful and friendly. They had just cleaned the carpets and the floor was still wet, nice that the place is clean but disappointing that there was not an indication that the room's floor may be wt.

Hotel was clean, staff friendly, room was generally nice but the carpet had several huge stains so didn't want to walk on carpet barefoot. Breakfast was nice and fresh.Internet was supposed to be fast but it was a little slow and don't like to use most hotel internet as it's always open.

This is a very nice hotel, just what you want after a long day of driving. The staff is friendly, breakfast staff were very accommodating. The room was large and very quiet. The hotel is a easy on and off from the freeway with gas stations nearby. Breakfast had lots of choices, nice way to start another day of driving.

The stay was very pleasant. I requested the carpet to to clean and the room to be on the ground floor. And they steamcleaned the carpet! My baby was able to crawl around the carpet, so that was very nice for us. The sofabed was comfortable enough for my 3 year old to sleep on. No problems from us. It was I nice stop for us. Breakfast was from 4-9 am We came at 8:45 AM and there were no eggs left, but the cook with a little coaxing made us more scrambled eggs. So the early bird gets the worm. If you want bigger selection for breakfast come at least 45 minutes to 1 hour before the end of breakfast. I would come here again, if I we stay in Elko! It was a pleasure.

Check in was fun, very friendly fellow who seemed to enjoy meting new people. Room was Large, with both fridge and microwave. Breakfast had many choices, including fresh fruit which I really appreciate. It was located on the edge of town Away from the casinos, which I also liked.

This is an attractive hotel in a convenient location in Elko, NV off of I-80. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and the front desk manager was happy to give us all sorts of advice about where to have dinner, what to see and how to get around. We were given a nice map of Elko to help us out. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated. It was clean, but the bathroom could've been a little cleaner for me. Part of it was age, I think, but it seemed like it could be scrubbed a bit. And there was a faint smell of "dog" in the room. We were on the first floor, and I know that it's a pet-friendly hotel, so that makes sense. However, my bed was so comfortable, it didn't matter that much to me. We didn't use the pool or exercise room, but we were amazed that they were open 24 hours, which is a great option! Breakfast was fine--the usual Best Western fare. I would stay here again if I were passing through Elko--the friendliness of the staff and the good bed made for a very nice night.

Room cleaning staff was excellent. Cold weather but warm inside. We had a pet so appreciated their care. Breakfast was good assortment but there was lots of noise as the hotel was full for Cowboy Gathering. Did not appreciate a staff member adding to the noise by reading poems and involving those trying to eat in her entertainment.

Checking in and checking out was a snap. Room was neat and clean and it was affordable. Room was quite and the bed was very comfortable and the lighting over the bathroom sink was bright enough to put on make up.

Upon arival at 2.20 p.m. our room was not ready and it took until 4 p.m. It had issues i.e. had not been properly cleaned. Reception, who seemed honestly concerned, agreed and gave us an upgrade. They also offered a partial refund for the waiting. However when, as requested, this was done through Hotels.com it was reneged upon by the manager. I awarded a 2 due to the excellent breakfast. I think that the staff on the day did honestly do their best to rescue the situation and I was happy with their efforts in the end so its a shame that they were let down by the manager. If I had been given the decent room in the first place I would have given a 4. Nearby there are Casino's where you can get food in smoke infested eating areas but if you want a better environment and good food and service we were very pleased with a Basque restaurant (Toki Ona) a short walk towards the centre - the steak was large and good.

The ADA room we were assigned was 70 slow painful steps away from the elevator and was very difficult for us. Apparently there is not a transport chair available at this location - or at least that's what we were told. If you aren't an "able-bodied" ADA room requestor or if you don't use a wheelchair, be forewarned that you need to ask in advance if your room is anywhere near an access door or the elevator - otherwise, be prepared that you may have a long slow walk every time you leave or enter your room.

I was quite delighted by our stay at the Best Western in Elko -- much nicer than I remember BWs generally being, but also not uncomfortably fancy. The breakfast was great (for me as well as the other members of my family), the beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet. The only downside was that even though I had called to confirm that we'd have NO down bedding in our room, there WAS down. Apparently they have recently switched "all" their bedding to artificial down -- not real feathers. So when I went down to the front office to request a change before we headed to dinner, the gal said it was just tricky, but to check the label just in case they'd missed a room. After dinner I went back and discovered that indeed, they were real feathers not new artificial ones. This isn't the end of the world, but it makes me sneezy and headache-y and I wish hotels would check FOR their guests when they know an allergy is present (so I didn't have to be as exposed). But, since probably there will be gradual improvements as they find which rooms were initially missed, I doubt this will be an ongoing issue. In every other way it was a great experience, and a comfortable stop while traveling across the West.

Let me start by saying this used to be a very nice property, and could very well be again. The lobby area and breakfast room are fantastic - and the front desk staff are very nice, accommodating and well trained. The breakfast is one of the best we have had at a Best Western anywhere. Super yummy and fresh! The rest of the property, however, needs some attention. It just takes a little bit more effort to pick the weeds, replace dead trees, don't use old, broken furniture in tucked away areas (like near the pet area). Clean up around the dumpster (there is an abandoned shopping cart hanging out there). The rooms, especially the pet rooms, need a complete makeover. The furniture is beaten up, there are stains on the chair and ottoman and the carpet has long needed to be replaced. It's sad to see a once beautiful and well maintained property start to fray around the edges. We travel often through Nevada on business and want to continue to stay at this location!

We tried to make reservations in Cody, Wy. We knew there were 2 there. Not listed on your web sight. They did not answer their phones. While in Cody we saw them. Had to stay at a Roadway. This was a problem for us

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff. Nice clean spacious room. I loved the beautiful, patriotic Christmas tree in the lobby. The breakfast was the basic hotel breakfast, well done. I enjoyed the stay. Was very grateful for the fast check in. Very helpful staff.

This is a nice hotel at an affordable price. Clean spacious room, comfortable bed. Had everything we wanted. One of the few hotels we've stayed in that did not have traffic noise. Nice pool and whirlpool. Included a good hot breakfast. I'd stay there anytime. Internet worked as it should.

First time here and we were very happy with the service and the staff. They gave us a great place to go for dinner and it was very good. Also served a great breakfast and good selection of food. Staff was excellent and very friendly and efficient. Comfortable room.

We were traveling to Wyoming, and this was a good stop over to rest. The indoor pool is avail 24 hours, as well as the spa! WE stayed over the weekend, so they had extended breaskfast hours of 4am-10 am, which was great for a before swim meal for the kiddos and after swim meal, LOL! It is also hard to find a hotel that allows up to 6 people in 1 room, but this one did! We booked the family suite, 2 queen beds, and 1 couch pull out (pretty good size too!) The lobby staff was kind, love that they still had their Christmas tree up, but decorated it for Easter :) Breakfast was decent, and well stocked. Pool was clean. Matresses in the rooms are firm, but sleepable.

This property started out as a beautiful Best Western Plus at which we one time stayed. For whatever reason, it is now just a plain Best Western but not clean, worn out and in need of a complete renovation, both inside and out.

We stay in Elko a couple of times a year. This is by the the best place we've stayed. They have the best complimentary breakfast but the quality could use some consistency. The indoor pool is great and well maintained. The front office staff is amazing.

Great place to stay in Elko. Right in the middle of town. Staff is super friendly - the manager stopped by to chat while eating breakfast. Check-in was fast and easy and check-out was a breeze. The free breakfast starts at 4 AM!!

The facility (room, lobby, breakfast, pool, workout room, etc.) are all above average. However, the manager, altho a very nice guy, seems to be more concerned with saving a nickel than taking care of his customers. For example, he told me a couple who were supposed to check in three days ago, did not show up. The next day, the wife called and said her husband had a heart attack. Nonetheless, the manager charged her for the missed stay. Legal? Yes. What I would expect as a customer? Absolutely not. During our stay, the internet was down for over 24 hours. Why? The router needed to be replaced and the manager bought a cheap one.

Excellent service from Steve at check in & after. The rate was excellent for the quality of the property. Clean spacious room & the King bed was really comfortable. We did not use the pool or work out room but we would have in our younger years Very nice big indoor pool & hot tub. Breakfast was very good. Much better than the usual. Would recommend this property

Front desk was more than helpful. They even price matched what I found on line. Fresh cookies for bedtime, coffee, tea and hot chocolate available all the time. Excellent hot breakfast starting at 4 am

Hotel rooms are clean and large. They have a pet area with bags and a trash cans...my only problem is with the guests who do not pick up their pet waste. We are fortunate to have hotels that allow us to bring our pets while traveling, don't ruin it for the rest of us. Coming down off my soap box I would stay at this hotel again while traveling through Elko. Easy location to reach and lots of parking.

The people are the front desk were very helpful and friendly. We were stuck in Elko because of a storm so we didn't have a reservation. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was okay. Our only complaint was we could hear people out in the halls.

Great staff at checkin, good size room. Laundry a plus. Comfortable bed, good shower but water only lukewarm which was not nice. Breakfast was ok but hot items were often empty. Great staff but a few issues.

I felt so loved here! Everyone was so friendly! Made us feel right at home. Hotel was nice and clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fabulous with the staff coming around to check on us. My only recommendation, and it's minor, is to have a designated smoking area for staff that is somewhere other than right by the front doors. Other than that this place was great! Will stay again for sure!

The front desk was welcoming and told us about a Customer Appreciation Dinner that was being held that evening. We went and were treated to burgers, French Fries, fruit, a number of fixings for the burgers, chips, and cake. We met Denise, Sales Manager, who visited each and every table with friendly conversation. Mentioned to her a couple of our concerns with our room and she was eager to hear and address what we said. Breakfast the next morning was very good. Our room was adequate but for a handicapped room, we thought the bed was too high and there needed to be bed lamps that had outlets in them for CPAP machines. etc. These were the issues we mentioned to Denise.

Nice place with nice people. Good breakfast, large swimming pool and adequate gym (everything worked). Good access to rooms from good car parking, central location just off highway. Quiet rooms. Internet a bit slow and ideally needs a bit of updating but still our favourite stay of our 10 hotel trip! (Along with BW Williams).

Highly recommend this hotel. This particular Best Western is well staffed with competent and friendly personnel. The morning breakfast I ate were potatoes, biscuits and gravy, self prepared waffles from a griddle, and cheese omelets. The dining area is staffed with two cooks and they are excellent. I swam everyday in pool and utilized hot tub. The area was clean. I would book this hotel again.

For the money, this hotel can't be beat. It is a newer facility that is very well maintained in a convenient area of Elko. Our pet friendly king bed room was gigantic with clean, new furnishings. The staff were the friendliest - making sure to greet each guest in the dining room.

This hotel offers the basics but nothing outstanding. The desk had no outlets within each. The desk chair was broken in the low position making working at the desk (and I sat on a pillow) uncomfortable. The bed was firmer than I like and the bedding was thin. No tea bags in the room, nor lids for coffee cups in the room. Mine workers stay at this hotel and were noisy the two nights I stayed here. Nice fireplace in the lobby. Breakfast was standard, nothing outstanding to mention. The hotel is situated perpendicular to the highway so there was no road noise. It felt like it was in a safe location. Shopping nearby.

Far enough off the freeway you don't get road noise. Many guests (miners) were up and out before 6 a.m. and never disturbed us. Clever black colored washcloths for make up removal.. AC does cycle on and off. Could use a rubber mat in the tub/shower. Breakfast was terrific - in addition to regular menu we were offered great breakfast burritos on our east bound stop and home made coffee cake west bound. They definitely need a tip jar for the kitchen staff - they were awesome. Very friendly staff. Guests seemed to pick up after their pets.

this is a very good BW. I am a Diamond Member and stay in BW's about 40 nights a year, and this is definitely one of their better hotels! I would give it a 5-star rating except that I reserve that for ultra-expensive hotels that offer super-luxury such as Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons. however, for a midprice hotel comparable to a Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn, this is definitely a Ten on a scale of one to ten. It is exactly what I want in a mid-price hotel. Clean, quiet, all the amenities. This was my 2nd stay. And I WILL be back again! A nice hotel in a NICE town.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Elko Inn, coming back from road trip to Colorado. We are Best Western Platinum members and have stayed in a lot of Best Western hotels. This one is the best by far. The facilities are modern, up to date and immaculate. The staff are exceptional, especially Denise Goff, director of marketing who greeted us as we arrived and was still around during breakfast the next morning. She was genuine and enjoyed interacting with all of the guests. We were checked in by Steve, who was a high energy hoot. He made sure we were well treated and satisfied with our room. The breakfast was the most complete, and best hotel breakfast we have ever had. The food selection was amazing. The night we were there, the hotel presented a complimentary dinner; a first for us. We will definitely stay there again and would even go out of our way to visit this fabulous hotel. If you are in Elko, or just passing through, you are missing a real treasure if you don't stay at the Best Western Elko Inn.

It was very easy to book a room over the phone. Booking was able to get me a discount card and 10%room discount under AAA. It was very comfortable, with an excellent breakfast included. I will be back!

I was traveling last week to visit the Ruby Mtns. & Lamoille Valley and couldn't have asked for better service ( Entire staff- especially Leah), accommodations & amenities. Check in was quick and allowed for upgrades and/or select room locations. My double queen room was immense with very comfortable beds, modern television with full suite of channels, spacious bathroom and solid walls to mitigate noise. The two story hotel has wide hallways and many rooms are pointed away from the parking lot to further reduce noise intrusion. And they provide a full and wonderfully diverse breakfast starting at 4:00AM - Fantastic value for the $$$

I've stayed at the Elko BW several times over the past several years and it just doesn't get any better; in fact it just gets worse. My last stay was the last straw. This property is going downhill pretty quick. . . The place is tired, the carpets are filthy, and the rooms often have a lingering 'odor'. While the halls are getting a facelift, what is desperately needed is new carpeting or at least a good carpet cleaning in every room. While I can't say for sure, the carpet might be the original carpet that was in the place when it was new more than twenty years ago? While the beds are clean and comfortable, the place needs to be redecorated, carpets replaced, the shower heads also need replacing, and the toilets are not up to anything but flushing the toilet tissue, and even then it can take two flushes. Additionally, the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers often don't work or they are empty. Oh - and BTW: the price for a room has not gone down in line with the property. The hotel still seems to be very busy and is often booked solid. There are better places to stay in town for the money.

Friendly staff nice rooms awesome location. The pool is nice breakfast is always really good. Every Wednesday is customer appreciation day free dinner! Really like that the breakfast starts at 4 AM sometimes we have to leave early and it's nice to get a good meal.

When planning our trip, we routed ourselves through Elko, Nevada. In 1995, we last traveled through Elko and stayed at this Best Western with our two sons and our furry family member. Our experience then was great. This time our stay was very nice. While the hotel is a little older, it is still in good repair, updated since our last stay, and clean. The front desk staff were very professional, the room was large with two queen beds that were very comfortable, the parking was just outside our room, and the breakfast was okay. Overall, for the price, we got our money's worth.

Staff was very nice, breakfast was good, also I loved their pool. The hot tub was large enough for several people, and the both were open 24 hours. The room in the other had some maintenance issues. Light bulbs missing, wall plugs not working, hair dryer not working, and the internet kept kicking us off.

Steven and Kimberly were very helpful and accommodating and suggested a great restaurant. I huge indoor pool is a bonus. Good location and quiet. Lots of safe parking. Breakfast was ok - enough to do the trick and get us on the road.

I stayed at this hotel overnight on the way back from South Lake Tahoe, CA to Sandy, UT. It is conveniently located in Elko, NV. I got a good night's sleep at this hotel. The free breakfast the next morning was great.

Diamond select memeber, no welcome or any kind of hi how are you. Then tried to deny awarding me points for my paid stay. Claiming I don't get points for booking this room. Had to argue to get any kind of resolution. Rude, didn't know how to use the system and overall terrible customer service. Lady at desk in the morning didn't say a single word while checking out, clearly strung out on meth and coke as her eyes were bugged and constant sniffling. I always stay at BW but will avoid this one in the future. Bed was comfy tho.. shower was awful.

This hotel is very nice and conveniently located. What makes it truly special are the people - from the front desk, housekeeping, breakfast coordinators to Alan the General Manager - they are friendly, welcoming, helpful and always smiling. They treat you as a VIP and go out of their way to assure that your stay is exceptional! I highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed!

Good experience. Rooms are clean and bed is soft without being too soft that you sink into it too much. Standard TV and micro-fridge in room. Breakfast is mixture of hot and cold offerings such as sausage, waffles, cereal, ect.

We checked into the Elko best western, which is definitely the nicest looking motel in town. We were processed quickly and efficiently upon arrival and sent off to our room. When we arrived in our room we first noticed two not great items, including empty Kleenex box, and food scraps under the bed. We called the front desk to replace the Kleenex, the phone was never answered. We eventually went to the front desk and made our request...we did get a fresh box a half hour or so later. The next morning we went to breakfast...we were quite unhappily confronted with the loud playing of Fox News from a big TV set high and center in the dining area. A few notes...first, I am sure why we need TV with breakfast...I enjoy talking to my wife. Many others are also familiesf trying to carry on conversations with their members. Second, Fox is not exactly neutral news...its a rather right wing slant on current events, which I find rather offensive. I am not suggesting that the motel offer equal time to CNN...if they have to bombard their patrons with loud junk news, why not consider something more neutral, like CBS or NBC?? I assume that either the motel gets a fee for this or they are expressing a political view. Either which I find offensive. While I am guessing the that this best western is not company owned, based on this rather unpleasant experience I plan to avoid all Best Western properties for the foreseeable future. Too bad, as I have usually found best western to be a very reliable brand. Not good to mix business with politics!!

This is my go to hotel when traveling from Colorado to California. The staff is wonderful! They have great cookie at night and on Wednesday night there is an appreciation dinner. The manager actually sat down at my table and asked how my stay was going.

It was a good pick on our part!! The greeting from the front desk was more than welcoming, a little friendly bantering with efficiency!! And cookies were baking! Room was clean and comfortable, comparable price. A couple restaurants to walk to, we chose the J&R Grill which was in a nearby casino. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was the usual fare.

We stayed here again on an annual road trip through the West, arriving in the late afternoon. The lobby offers cookies and ice-cold water, which was especially welcome after a long day of summer driving across Nevada. Every room has a minifridge and microwave. The hotel is undergoing renovation, but don't let it deter you. When I awoke the next day after a good night's sleep, a crew was quietly removing the hallway wallpaper and prepping for a paint job. Breakfast was a good selection of yogurt, cereal, eggs, and make-your-own waffles -- an excellent value for the room price. If you want strong coffee, head to the Cowboy Cafe downtown, next to McAdoo's Cafe (also recommended).

Phenomenal travel experience. You must try it out. Great customer service and nice facility. Hot breakfast, snacks all day long, and even a guest appreciation day of the week. No other hotel can beat that.

Heading back from Lake Tahoe to Salt Lake City we stopped here for a night. We had our daughter and 3 grandsons with us. We stayed in the family suite or Parlour Room on the second floor. It was very spacious and VERY clean. It was just the right size for 6 of us. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was well appointed. Unfortunately for the breakfast attendant the rest of the crew never made it to work. She did a pretty good job trying to keep up with a room filled with hungry guests on her own.Hopefully management will give her a nice perk!! The indoor pool was great for 3 rambunctious boys. Big thumbs up for this place. Eat dinner at Girabaldi's down the street. Best Mexican food and service in town!

The breakfast was fantastic and the ladies serving breakfast we're quick to make sure everything was stocked. The rooms weren't anything special. The front desk seemed to be understaffed making the one person working seem a little frazzled. I stayed with a few others for work and all of our bills got messed up. Some were double charged and some were not charged at all. One person had their room given away. It was a decent hotel just a lot of baggage to go with it.

We are BWestern members so look for a BW hotel when we are traveling. This hotel is in the midst of renovations and need it. It is very dated. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Pool badly in need of repair ... hot tub didn't work and pool area had garbage on the floor - someone should clean it up periodically. A nice feature - they will meet the price of another BW you have recently stayed at if you can produce a Bill.

We stayed here on our way home from CA back to MN. We checked in around 8:30 in the evening. It was fast and smooth. They staff was nice. It is a pretty basic hotel. We didn't need much though. Just a bed and a shower. My boys spent an hour or so in the pool area. Again nothing special but it was clean and for them the pool was fun.

It appears that they are trying to complete a minor facelift in the halls by removing wallpaper and then spakling/@repainting. The GM says that the work is mandated by Best Western. The room was clean and comfortable and no problems with any plumbing fixtures as mentioned in another post. The breakfast had a lot to offer with limited seating and earlier-than-usual hours (4am-9am on weekdays.. till 10 on weekends). The oatmeal looked a bit more like spackle they were spraying on the walls than food and the apple juice tasted like Medicine. The other food was good Now for the bigger issue and the reason for a lower grade. They had no keys for the rooms.... none. If you left your room you would have to ask the front desk to send a runner to let you in. The problem is... not once did anyone ask for ID and validate that the room was mine. They said that their key encoder (their ONLY ONE) was broken. For a place this size you would think they would need two. The indoor pool was nice... and big. It wasn't well heated but it was nice on a hot day. The pump for the hot-tub was broken but it was 100 outside and there was no desire for a hot tub for me.. Overall it wasn't a bad stay but it could have been much better with some pre-planning by management. Why rely on only one key coder? Also, subjecting guests to the smells of (real) spackle and paint is a bit rough and a bit avoidable but closing off certain parts of the hotel while working in that area. If back in Elko, I'd give this place another shot with the understanding that a number of these issues should be corrected. It would also have a bit higher grade if they would have offered a bit of a discount for all of the hassles.

Bring earplugs for sure- very noisy fan unit on wall, but too hot to leave it off. Not much choice of dining nearby, it was basically like staying in vast parking lot. My children complained that the pool felt unclean. Included breakfast was good and the staff in the breakfast room were kind and helpful.

This motel is way overdo of a makeover. The new, brightly lit Best Western outdoor sign is the only bright spot of this motel. Everywhere you look it is devoid of any characteristics welcoming road-tired guests. All the colors are brown and it just feels gloomy. The carpets smell bad and look as if they haven't been cleaned in years, especially as you journey through the hallways. The bath fixtures are extremely difficult to use as the knobs are all but frozen into their last position and the water sprays and drips badly in every direction from plugged shower heads. The filthy outdoor concrete walkways around the motel need to be pressure washed and the parking lot could stand resurfacing. On the good side, the staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast was okay, and the rooms were large with a comfortable bed.

Large room, clean, indoor pool, hot tub jets not working, modest fitness center. Totally decent place to stop (it's half way between Sacramento and Jackson). I watched the staff (especially Stephanie) work wonders for guests, including being kind to our kids and accommodating a large group of firefighters. Recommend.

we stayed there for one night , with four young kids. the room was big and comfortable. breakfast was good, nothing special. the check inn was fast and easy and the room was clean and tidy. it is a good place to stop if you are on your way.

I am traveling with my kids. Not only that we were put at the very far end of the hotel when it wasn't fully occupied we woke up into a painting job with my son feeling bad due to the smell. When I wrote about the room at Hotels.com feed back they apologized but it did not help when before 7:30 am the corridor was with brown paper all over and smell of paint. So managment: when you see a parent with 2 kids put him in the nearest room to the hotel canter (food, laundry, pool). Wait with construction for after check out and before check in or close the floor for until the end of construction. Beside that, it is an oldish hotel with a hot tub that is not working.

Nice friendly welcome from the guy behind the front desk. Rooms are arranged on two levels. There is a lift adjacent to reception but not elsewhere so if you decide to park nearer to the farthest rooms it is necessary to carry luggage up a flight of stairs but not a problem stairs are nice and wide. There was some maintenance in recovering corridor walls during our stay but not an issue it was nice to see the ongoing refresh of circulation areas. Rooms are of a good size with comfortable beds and nice clean crisp linen. The normal below window AC units were very quiet compared to the norm. Breakfast was very much the norm for complimentary fare with cereals, hot offering and pastries. The food is laid out around the room in various areas whereby it is not necessary to queue. However there is plenty of seating and a far more relaxed atmosphere than many we have come across. By chance the manager came across and asked if everything was OK with our stay which was nice to see. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

The suites are roomy, have newer appliances and televisions and are comfortable. However, they are not laid out very well. Also, the kitchen does not include basics such as paper towels, etc. Other than that, it was a good stopping point during our trip.

My daughter birthday was so fun everyone was very nice I had to explain to the check in lady at the front desk what was going on though she said she has never done a swimming party before and they gave me the wrong room key but fixed it very fast .We ordered pizza from Pizza Hut because we get a discount but I had to explain to them what was going on and were to bring in the pizza the room was very easy to set up and take down the kids had fun swimming it made her day special thankyou!

We have spent nightly stopovers in Elko on a regular basis the last few years due to the location and variety of affordable options. This time we spent another $10 and upgraded a bit to the BW to give it a shot. We have stayed at BWs before and have never been impressed....that all changed at this location. That was $10 well spent. Let's see....quiet, easy highway access, large rooms, comfortable beds. Employees that actually care if your stay is meeting expectations. Lots of staff available. Actual managers (or assistant managers) available to talk to. One of the best breakfasts I have ever experienced in this price range. Multiple people manning the wide open breakfast area to handle requests, refill bins and keep the nice breakfast area clean. They were doing a great job (as opposed to the usual situation where one worn out worker disappears behind a door for 40 minutes at a time while the breakfast room goes to pot). Clearly this is an older property, but has been well updated and it is extremely well cared for. If I had to ding the hotel on anything, it is the archaic shower device, which I would guess is on their list for future upgrades....regardless, that will not prevent us from coming back. A budget hotel with employees that care? Well, you'll find it here. Worth the money.

Nice location, good rooms, good rates. We like to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before hitting the road. The eggs and sausage were hot, there was a good selection of breads, bagels, cereals, yogurt and fruits to choose from.

Traveled here on business during the week. Property is clean and easily found from the highway. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable and clean. Breakfast was standard cereal, juice, oatmeal, ect along with waffles and a disappointing hot dish that was a premix of diced potatoes, peppers, scrambled eggs and tomatoes. First Best Western I've stayed in that didn't offer these ingredients separately for those who don't like tomatoes, peppers ECT.

We had a great stay at this Best Western, the room was clean but the bathroom sink faucet was hard to turn on. It looked like a older property but it looked good. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was very good. We booked online and the price was right.

We had a king room, nice and quiet despite the hotel being quite busy. We enjoyed using the pool and fitness center. We stayed on a Wednesday and the staff had a customer appreciation dinner. They had a chili cook off with three chilies, what a fun idea!!!!! The hotel is a short car ride to downtown where you can explore restaurants and galleries.

This property is easy to locate, quite, exceptionally clean, good value, and within easy distance of all services. I've stayed at other reviewed properties in Elko over the years, but this has been my go-to for quite a while now. I stay here when traveling between California and Utah. Great value, especially if you are in a position to take advantage of paying in advance. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are immaculate. Generous hours for breakfast - particularly for those who are EARLY risers. Parking lot is well lit.

Clean room, good service, pet-friendly room, a good sleep, and best of all, one block from the ice cream parlour! Friendly staff at this hotel. Get off the road for a good sleep here at the Best Western.

While on our way to Las Vegas for the Glass Craft and Bead Expo, we opted to stay in Elko so that we could dine at The Star (but that's another review)! We chose the Best Western Elko. While the management was fantastic, and the facilities were older, but clean, the business next door decided to clean their parking lots at 2:00 am! While I understand that this is beyond the control of the Inn, it was a bit annoying. We spoke with management the next morning during breakfast and she stated that she was going to talk to the owner of the business and see what could be done, as we were not the only guests to comment on the issue. My only caution to readers of this review is to check to see if the issue has been corrected, OR make sure you have a room that is not facing The Boot Barn!

Had everything we needed staff was very friendly, very clean and comfortable beds could tell they were updating things, a variety of breakfast items pool and hot tub were clean grand daughter loved the warm cookies every evening

We keep returning to this hotel and it does not disappoint. What is most noticeable is the excellent service, and special mention this trip to Denise and Patsy. They were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The most recent change is a coffee corner in the dining room. What a nice addition. It is out of the way of the main hot breakfast area and easily accessible. The breakfast choices here are always plentiful and good. Thanks for making us comfortable along the road.

Great hotel and staff. We needed a place to stay after along day of travel. We happened to end up here, and we are very happy about it. We even stayed there again on our return trip back East. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I find Best Westerns to be a mixed bag, so rely heavily on Tripadvisor reviews before staying in one. Elko is the only reasonable size town/city midway between Salt Lake City and Reno. Considering its size, there are a lot of hotels in Elko. The Best Western consistently is one of, if not the top ranked hotel there. The Best Western is not one of the newer hotels in Elko. But, from the time you enter, it is obvious the property is extremely well maintained and as importantly, you feel welcome. There are posters in the common areas featuring quotes about the importance of customers. It isn't lip service. All of the employees we encountered clearly embrace 'the value of customers'. There was a line waiting to check in when I arrived. The busy clerks regularly reassured us 'it would not be long' and encouraged us to have another delicious warm cookie! The evening we arrived they were having a complimentary 'Customer Appreciation Dinner'. I've encountered this once at another Best Western. Although certainly not an every night occurrence, it was nice not to have to get in the car again to figure out where we wanted to go to dinner. I believe it was the manager who circulated through the room to greet us and chat it up with those who wished to be engaged. It was clear she cared about your experience at the hotel. She mentioned we would see her again the next morning at breakfast (and we did). The hotel is easy to find on the main street, close to the middle of town. It is L shaped with the indoor pool/hot tub/fitness center in the front, so I think very few rooms get much street noise. We were in the back, on the first floor and did not hear people moving around above us or on either side. The room was quite spacious and immaculately clean. There were plenty of towels and the wifi was good. The bed was comfortable and there was a small fridge and microwave. The heater was a bit noisier than we would have liked, but we were quite comfortable with it turned off. They had a nice business center tucked behind the stairwell. The computer was easy to use and the printer ready to go. They did not charge to print off a document. Breakfast was usual Best Western fare. They open it at 4 or 5am as many of their customers work in the mines an hour away. Therefore, breakfast ends earlier than some places. It was a fantastic stay and a good example of how one location of a franchise can shine head and shoulders above its other locations. We would plan a trip to stop over and stay there versus going 1-2 hours more along our way (and that's saying a lot for us!)

The room was spacious, great bed and pillows. Early breakfast for us early risers. Breakfast has a nice variety of food, hot and cold. The coffee was really good. Good value overall, nice staff. Thanks to all staff there.

Traveling through and got a room walking in. Very reasonable. Large room, clean indoor pool and hot tub. Good luggage carts to take in our suitcases. Good hot breakfast included. Hotel was quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

This Inn was clean, comfortable, and a nice place to overnight on our way to ski Sun Valley from California. The staff was friendly and the rates reasonable. Most importantly the place was quiet, very clean and comfortable as I slept well. Parking is available out from the lobby.

Our room was very clean and well appointed. The location was excellent for attending an event at the convention center and within minutes of most everything else. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was bountiful and included freshly scrambled eggs and delicious biscuits everyday!

Stayed on 1/16/18 100% non-smoking. There is truck parking but only if your truck is lower than 12ft. You can park next door in the Boot Barn parking lot. James at the front desk was very informative and helpful! Nice clean room. They gave me a "pet" room but I couldn't tell the difference and there was no smell. Amenities included a Mid-fridge, microwave, coffee maker. TV had a good selection of DirecTV channels In the bathroom they had soap and shampoo dispensers. I'm not a big fan of these, and not a deal breaker, but luckily I bring my own stuff. They also had a built in hairdryer. Free full tasty hot breakfast!! A few casinos down the road. I didn't have any time to try any of them out. Best Western is slowly becoming one of my favs! I stayed with them again, at a different location, the next night.

I went for cowboy poetry with a friend. When we checked in the manager was outside smoking along with his tattoo d girlfriend. He looked as if he just came out of recovery. He checked us in with no smile. I tried to make him laugh , he looked dazed . The room was not very clean shower was still wet ? No toilet paper. Also a weird fountain frozen out front. Odd management However. They had plenty of parking.

I have stayed here a number of times and it has always been nice. It's also pet friendly. They try to do a great job. They will also get you to where ever you need to go. Close to a selection of food.

Our overnight room (#102) was a surprisingly delightful room with wonderful bright lighting, a very comfy bed, very clean and even a Carbon Monoxide Sensor! The Internet worked great and the TV had more channels than you could ever hope to watch! Two suggestions we had were to fix the loose lamp on the right side of the bed and the sneaky shower head that squirted directly on the floor outside the tub! We would definitely stay here again!

Arrived late, staff very helpful. Room was very comfortable, with a pleasant temperature, and good beds. Had a great night sleep, workout facilities and pool was nice. Checkout staff very pleasant and helpful.

Overall things are clean and nice. I love that they were pet friendly. Free breakfast is always nice so we don't haveeave and stop to eat later. I only wish that all best westerns were pet friendly. Thank you.

Nice clean place with pool and great breakfast in the morning. Starts at 4AM until 11AM. We stayed at a Best Western Plus in Bozeman and were totally happy with it. The boys were so happy with that place that they insisted on staying at another Best Western. They got to swim and were happy.

Good place to stop on the drive back from SLC to San Francisco. It is near the rail line but this didn't bother me. Beds are okay. Staff was very pleasant. Please place the gluten-free option sign in a place where it is noticed in the breakfast room. We just assumed it was not available ( our mistake as we didn't ask) but we saw it near the cereal as we were leaving. Place seems good for families with kids.

I was able to book online in a few minutes with their website-the staff at check in was super friendly and helpful and check out was just as breezy-the room was clean and didn't smell weird like some hotels do which was cool

At 11 PM I had a health crisis, and the young man at the front desk directed us to the nearest E.R., where I spent half the night. The next morning, the young lady at the desk went out of her way to help me get hot water to make herb tea. (The first attempt didn't make the water hot enough, so she made a second and successful attempt.) The hotel room was nice, but what will always stick in my mind was the kindness of the staff when I was feeling so bad.

On our way to check out we saw people having sex in the hot tub! The door to the pool and hot tub area is glass and looks directly into the hot tub. I tried to talk to the girl with the dark red hair and she wouldn't even listen to me so I took my family out of there without even checking out! My kids are 3 and 7 and this is supposed to be a family friendly hotel?

The many small issues: Breaskfast was terrible. The gravy was so watery it was like a thin soup and the eggs tasted bad. There were no smiles and both staff memebers acted as if my checking in was interupting their social time. The room wasn't cleaned. There was a thick layer of dust everywhere except the area under the tv and the table and the sheets had stains. There was no soap or shampoo and when I called the front desk her angry sigh was extremely audible over the phone and the soap and shampoo never came. The unforgivable issue: PEOPLE WERE HAVING SEX IN THE HOTTUB!!!!!! I'm horrified to think I almost brought my granddaughter! This happened AFTER BREAKFAST!!! I will NEVER stay there again!

As usual, Best Westerns have the best beds. For me anyway. Breakfast wasn't fantastic, but was well presented and tasted good. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, especially the late night shift lady who helped me out with personal products since my luggage was lost for 4 days. An older hotel, but well maintained and close to everything you need. A very pleasant stay and the rooms are very sound proof and I wasn't disturbed by outside noise.

We had a long drive home from Moab to Cali so at the last minute we decided to split it in half and spend a night in Elko NV. Best Western Plusses are one of our "go to" hotels but there wasn't one around so I booked this hotel. That was a great move. This is a Plus quality property at regular BW prices. Excellent room with good mattresses. If you have a dog with you see if you can get 154. It is the perfect pet room. Anything in the 150 / 140s would be good. Have dinner at the La Fiesta Mexican restaurant a few blocks away. That was great. This was a nice stay all the way around.

Facilities and rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and concerned about our welfare and travels. The breakfast was much better than the plastic fake food found at other higher priced lodges!

This hotel was amazing - staff members bend over backwards to exceed expectations. They even served us a free "customer appreciation" dinner - included beer, wine, pop, coffee and two types of cookies for dessert. Breakfast was great too. Rooms are roomy and very clean. Hotel is well-maintained. I love that they have decaff in the lobby in the evening and I like their flavoured creamers.

This hotel was overpriced and overrated on another travel site. It needs updating. I was thoroughly disappointed I paid $149 a night and they offered dial shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast wasn't even worth being free, awful. The hot water in the lobby was cold for tea. The only amenity worth giving a high rating to was the comfort level of the beds. The pillows could be replaced. The way the room was set up was inconvenient and the television was tiny. They hike up the price when there's an emergency on the highway and Your stuck in this awful town so you don't have a choice because everyone is looking for a place to stay.

I was very satisfied with everything. Was, especially, happy with the service and the friendliness of the employees. I had driven into Elko and was thinking of looking around for the hotel I would prefer. I looked at Yelp, prices and some hotel chains I had stayed in before. The attitude of the people at check-in was outstanding, so, I decided to stay at Best Western and was glad I did.

Unsupervised kids in pool & spa. Running up & down hall. The breakfast food was cold any the coffee tasted burnt. No one but kids could get to the waffle maker. The worse part was dirt coming out of the jets on tub.

Found this Best Western hotel convenient, well kept and comfortable and pet friendly as well. Just what a traveller needs. We recommend this hotel for those passing through and for those needing a multiple nights stay.

Very nice, clean rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was good, not great, but adequate. Exterior appearance is only so-so, but I don't really care about that. For some reason hotels in Elko are expensive and this is the best value I have found.

On our way home to Colorado from Crater Lake, we stayed at the Elko Best Western. Nice hotel. On checking in, the desk clerk was courteous (but a bit clueless regarding restaurants) and there were baked cookies (yippee!). The property feels new-ish and is well maintained. The room was rather typical of similar hotels. Of major importance to me is cleanliness. It was clean. Nice. It fit our needs for the night. A side comment: the desk clerks were young and appeared to be new. They were clueless about places to eat. And took no initiative to try to find places. A travel hotel like this should have some dining recommendations.

This property is easy to find, on the Idaho Street hotel strip in Elko. It has all the usual amenities I expect with a Best Western, including an excellent breakfast, good rooms and a pleasant and efficient staff. We will use this hotel again.

the room was very clean comfortable bed and very quiet away from the higway noise there is plenty of space to park since we had a long hallmark trailer we had no problem finding space with in the hotel parking lot. clean breakfast room and very nice indoor pool.

Pros: Fast, friendly check in. Good breakfast. Cons: View from our window: vacant field with trash blowing around. No comforter on bed. Nightstand lampshade shattered. Room lighting a mixture of blue bulbs and yellow bulbs. Shower head clogged. Very slow internet, less than 1 mbp, useless. Have to sign in constantly to wifi. $118 seemed high for this.

We stayed for one night at this property & had a good experience. Hotel & the room was clean. Even though a bit dated, everything worked great & the bed was comfortable. The staff is friendly & willing to help if you forgot anything. They even price-matched online. This property does allow dogs which is great. My only complaint though is to not allow them in the breakfast area. Some guests hold their dogs & bring them right up to the food buffet.

Have stayed at this hotel a few nights multiple times, housekeeping could use a bit of help with standards of cleanliness. Upon arrival bathroom was a bit dirty, hairs on tub and floor. Carpet seemed to not have been vacuumed even after staying for 3 days same trash on the floor upon arrival and departure.

Easy reservations online. Easy freeway on/off from I-80. Large no hassle parking area adjacent to hotel. Check in fast and professional, very helpful, all rooms are interior rooms located in several hallways with upstairs/downstairs and elevator. Room was well appointed and clean, everything worked as it should, lots of convenient electrical outlets. Bed was large and comfortable, pillows very comfortable. Only problem we had was there was only one luggage stand in our room and we had two large suitcases to unpack. Called desk and requested an additional luggage rack for us to us but was told "none were available", but that they would bring us an extra chair to use as a luggage stand instead. No one ever brought anything to our room or called. In room Wi-Fi worked good and connected easily, working well. Breakfast next morning was pretty good with an above average selection of items, but were out of several items we were interested in. Was told by staff that "additional refill of items was imminent" (we were waiting for eggs and ham) so we waited...never came while we were there so we ate other items instead. Also, if you don't get into the dining area early it can be difficult to find seating, we had to wait for a table, even the bar area was full. Check out was fast and professional. Overall we were impressed with our stay and the property and plan on returning when in the area.

Traveled here with our dog as a stop on a larger road trip. Decent room but slightly funky smell, short walk to a large park for dog- walking, and a short drive to the main downtown area. Didn't try breakfast or the pool but the 24 hour services are a nice amenity.

The first room they had me in was dirty. The carpet was stained with pet urine and wreaked. The room freshener was overwhelming. There was hair on the sheets and the television didn't work. They moved me to another room, however the air freshener was still unbearable. No offer to help me move my suitcases from one room to the other and no offer to refund any of my money. Bill was incorrect at checkout. AAA discount not included.

We stayed here one night on our way to Salt Lake City. The room was outdated but spacious. The bathroom was a bit weird. Breakfast was not good and all the plates and cups were disposable which made it feel even cheaper...

The tv guide in guest book was outdated and could not find channels listed. had to get guide from desk. The cleaning woke us at 8 am to clean our room. The desk said We should put out do not disturb sign. The price for the room was much higher than howe Indiana . Total $93.73 in howe and 133.37 in Elko. The Elko rate was with a $10 rewards discount.

We've stayed here many times, but it seems not as nice as before. Room AC is very noisy, refrigerator also noisy, and it's maybe minor, but bathroom soap has been replaced with wall-mounted soap/shampoo dispensers that are hard to reach and don't work well. Pretty annoying, and as usual the morning coffee is horrible and they have an unpleasant cable news channel always running.

Really enjoyed the comfort of the bed. The breakfast was the best one in two weeks of continuous hotel stays in Nevada in different places from my recent work trip. Was excited to see the hotel had upgraded to direct tv since the last time I was there.

Air conditioning doesn't condition the air, but does do an excellent job of making the walls vibrate all night. The bed was nice if you like theme park rides. Pillows should be upgraded to those suitable for a king bed, as opposed to a crib.

The breakfast personal were standing around doing nothing as most of the breakfast stations were empty or nearly empty. They did not seem to care about their customers. Had to ask for the fresh fruit to be refilled, no spoons for dry cereal,only one yogurt left, no eggs in the tray and no pastries. I asked about the pastries and they said they were frozen. Trying to figure out the TV remote was a nightmare. I didn't know you had to have a PHD to figure it out. Took me over an hour to figure it out. None of the channels that were listed in the room hotel book matched up with the actual TV channels. The young girl who checked us in to our room was all business. She never smiled or welcomed us to the Best Western. The checkout lady was great. Asked how are stay was and how they could improve on their service. The room was big and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

This hotel is very clean and organized employees are very frendly and respectfull I recomend this property if you happen to be in the elko area...but dont forget to call ahead or go on line and make a reservation because this property is full almost all the time

This hotel is very attractive from the outside, and the hotel lobby is also very nice. Good hot coffee and cookies in the lobby, which were appreciated. Wonderful swimming pool and hot tub. Nice, large room. The breakfast was outstanding - actually fresh items, not made and frozen weeks ago.

Stayed here twice while driving to North Dakota from California. Our first night we had a King and the room was nice and clean but had a lingering smell of old cigarette smoke - the kind left behind when a smoking room in an old hotel is remodeled to be a non-smoking room. After a bit, the smell went away (or we got used to it). Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good, and check-out was at noon which is always great for us since we are not morning people. On the second night, we stayed in a room with two queens. The beds were really comfortable, and the room was clean and without the smell we encountered during our previous stay, so that was good. However, we were on the road when we made the reservation (had previously planned to stay in Idaho, but changed our plans and decided to stay in Elko again), so we called to make the reservation rather than making it online. We were quoted a price over the phone before we told the person on the phone that we had AAA and BW rewards memberships, both of which gives us a 10 percent off, but neither discount was applied, nor were we charged the amount quoted on the phone. My husband tried to explain what happened at the front desk, but they had an even different price in the computer. That made three different prices and still no discount was applied to any of them. They did adjust it, but not to what I thought it should be and not worth trying to argue with them over. Lessons learned: always make your reservation online so you get the price in writing with appropriate applied, and stay at a different hotel chain the next time we stop in Elko.

Stayed here for one night on our way up to Idaho. Check in was quick and professional, however when we asked for good pizza restaurant we were told that Dominos was the best. Ick. But, other than this, the room was clean and big and there was plenty of grassy areas for my doggie to do his business. And they provided doggie bags as well which was a nice touch. Close to the Red Lion Casino and other downtown shopping. Would stay again!

They helped book our next nights stay at the Station House Best Western in South Lake Tahoe for an even cheaper rate than at Elko. The breakfast was warm and fresh and the serving room had lots of seating, some are so small and crowded.

Always well-maintained facilities, friendly staff, and quality breakfast. The only negative thing I can find on which to comment is that I wish there had been more than one elevator because my room was on the far corner of the property.

They never clean the rooms one night I was there all they do is they make the bed and then they leave the room they don't wipe down the surfaces or vacuum they didn't even mop the bathroom floor one time

In our 3000 mile trip across the western states, Best Western is the only place we will stay from now on. We've tried the rest, and Best Western is the Best. All the others do not compare with the quality of service, amenities, and comfort.

If you are not a pet-person, ask for a room that has not had pets in it. Lingering odor of 'dog' when we first opened the door. Staff cheerfully changed our room. Conveniently located; very efficient & friendly staff and very good breakfast.

One of the better pet friendly places to stay. The Room was clean and everything worked except some issues with fan. There was a large grassy area to walk the dogs. The breakfast was great, lots of variety and the food was good. Staff was helpful.

Plus: pet-friendly hotel. Minus: walls, floors noisy. Popular with families so if you are placed on first floor, ask for a 2nd story room. Hotel Staff need to be prodded to remind guests that the hallways are not running tracks.

The rooms are large. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast room is big and breakfast selection is more than in other hotels (e.g. Cappuccino). Pool (heated!) and hottub are open 24/7. Lobby sells additional items for very reasonable prices (e.g. V8 or Gatorade for $1). Staff was very friendly and helpful..

Stayed here twice on the way to Canada and the way back. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool is a good size and our grandchildren loved it. The breakfast is plentiful and the staff work hard at keeping the food fresh and ready. We found all of the hotel staff helpful and friendly.

The staff was helpful. The breakfast was excellent! The room was satisfactory. The location is excellent, right off the freeway and on the main street of Elko. Be sure to go downtown and see all the old hotels and the old casino with a polar bear out front.

First work trip to Elko, and I had my kids and wife with me. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was good, and my kids loved the pool. They asked if they could come back with me on my next work trip here.

Staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience, start to finish. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and clearly take pride in their hotel. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and modern and the bathroom looks like it was recently updated. The pool and hot hub were amazing -large, clean and well maintained- and also appear to be pretty new. There is also a workout room and a lovely sheltered outdoor patio area with a fireplace for cool evenings. The breakfast was very generous -hot dishes as well as cereal, toast and pastry choices. Again, the staff was very visible and friendly. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I travel to Elko on business a lot and have stayed at the Best Western Elko Inn several times. I find the rooms are clean & comfortable. Sleep quality is not great only because I have difficulty sleeping in a strange bed. When I am there for more than 1 night the second night's sleep is excellent. Also, the hot breakfast is nice and much appreciated! before getting in the car and driving on to my next destination!

Comfy place to stay for business, the rooms are comfortable, the pool and hot tub are great. Free continental breakfast is better than most Hotels. The staff is great and the whole place actually real quiet. Wi-Fi a little slow though. All in all is give BE a big thumbs up.

I had no problems with this hotel, except toilet was slow to flush and the tv was very small. Breakfast was great, room was clean and quiet, the pool and hot tub was kept nice and clean, and open 24hrs!!

Elko is the only "major" town in a nearly 200 mile stretch on I-80 in North Nevada. Nearly every hotel, even small, have a casino. So if that's not your thing we recommend this place. Large clean room, off the highway and great fresh made breakfast buffet. They are right there preparing it, no mystery. Excellent cut fresh fruits, eggs, meats, and we lucked out as they has biscuits and gravy that day which were great!

It's quite difficult to get up t go to the job at 4 am. The bed in my room is sooo wonderful. They have a stone waterfall in front and it's very nice. The owners grandfather built it himself. They have a pretty fair choice of breakfast goodies but the eggs and meat have something in it that upsets my stomach.

I stopped here during my travels for down I-80. The hotel seemed very nice from the outside and the price was reasonable. The room was okay, the attention to details seemed to be missing, the lamp shade was torn, the blinds didn't want to close all the way. There seemed to have been a recent remodel in the bathroom with paint and other spots remaining on the floor and bathtub. The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean and crisp. The breakfast was interesting, apparently pumpkin spice waffles are occasionally an option here. One piece of advice, don't try and make you're own gourmet coffee with their coffee maker, it will overflow and possibly burn you. Good choice if you're looking to stop somewhere after a long day of traveling.

We had a great stay. Front desk was great, beds were comfy, breakfast was good and we love that the pool and fitness center is open late!! The hotel is in a really easy location to find right off the interstate and it is close to the event center we went to go to and also restaurants and casino's.

We stop at this hotel every year and they are a dog friendly hotel. There are several grass areas around the hotel for your dogs to roam. Rooms are comfortable and the service it great. The only thing I wish was better is the breakfast.

We have stayed here many times over the years on hour return home from Montana. The room is always clean, the bed comfortable. The walls are thin so one hears traffic in the hallways and loud voices in adjoining rooms -- tolerable for the one-night stays we have. Service is minimal but the staff reasonably friendly.

Very nice hotel easily accessible from the freeway. The initial room booking was incorrect, but the receptionist was able to resolve the problem. The hot, steam table breakfast was decent and had a good variety of items.

This is a clean quiet BW close to anything you may want in Elko. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The only problems we had were slow internet and fuzzy TV reception. There is not gambling here so it is very quiet. Very good pizza place just down the street.

There were ants in my room on the last night I was there. Immediately left the room and asked to change. They did not have another room available and didn't even have bug spray. So, I put everything up high and dealt with it.

This is nice facility with friendly staff. We found the beds to be great and there was no distracting noise, even though the hotel is on the main street of Elko. The evening clerk was very helpful in locating the local Basque restaurants in Elko. We used the pool and the hot tub, and found them nice and clean. My granddaughter complained a little about the amount of chlorine in the pool, but I didn't find it a problem. We had some minor mechanical difficulties in the room, but since it was a Sunday evening, there was nobody available to work on them, and they were minor inconveniences. I reported them in the morning, and the day clerk thanked me an added points to my loyalty card...since they often don't find out about problems in a timely way. The full breakfast was great. The scrambled eggs were pretty darn good for being prepared in advance. The breakfast was nicely presented and closely tended to keep everything fresh.

This place was the worst. Didn't have any other choice-other hotels were all booked. On my way wih the family to Park City Utah for some fun and we wanted to stay a night to rest before we continue with our trip. I pretty much made a mistake an learned from it- never again. There is nothing abou this place that I liked. What can I say it's BW

We stopped here after visiting Yellowstone and on our way to San Francisco. We were very pleased with the room and service. Pool was excellent. The hotel had a large breakfast area and lots of selections...even Strawberry waffles.

It was 100 degrees in Elko; the air conditioner in the room did not work despite repeated assurances from the staff that it had been fixed. There was no internet service. The room and the property were dirty. I was charged $150 per night for a room that was worth maybe $39.95. Our company will NEVER book another room with a Best Western property.

We stayed here with our dog driving from Michigan to California. Very convenient stopover--comfortable room, nice area for walking dog, easy on/off I-80, and lots of restaurants for dinner. Hotel breakfast was above average, with very helpful staff.

We stayed for 3 days, while visiting relatives in Elko. Hotel is on Idaho St (main drag), close to lots of shopping, casinos, but also not far from city park where we thoroughly enjoyed 4th of July fireworks show. No restaurant on site, but not a problem, great local eateries to choose from. Parking is great, luggage carriers available, clean rooms; all in all no complaints what so ever; and our family would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel for road trip stop over. It was clean, quiet and the rooms were updated and beds comfortable. For the price, it can't be beat. Breakfast included and was typical for a hotel - waffles, juice, coffee, eggs, potatoes.

A good quality Hotel in a town which is mostly a "stop off" en-route to somewhere else. Our stay was marred by a minor, but these days an important, matter, failure to be able to provide an adequate internet service and an "off-hand" approch to the problem.

Clean great location friendly staff would highly recommend this motel to anyone willing to pay the cost. The hotel was one of the best Best Western motels we stopped on I80 and I 70 across the country. Not all were as clean and personable.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was adequate but could have been better. Though I didn't do too much interaction with the staff, they were all helpful and friendly. If ever I know of some one traveling on Interstate 80, I'd recommend the Elko Best Western.

Checked in late without reservation. Front desk gal was eager to help and worked things around so she could find a room to meet our needs. By joining BW we got a nice discount and stayed in premier suite. Most comfortable bed of our 14 day trip (among multiple hotels). Room was absolutely spotless.

The manager and staff of Elko BW were exceptional. We had an issue arise (not related to the hotel) and the manager, Alan, went out of his way to accomodate us. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast could be improved but we did not stay there for the breakfast.

This hotel is quiet and has an enclosed parking area and lawn in the back to sit out on if you feel like being outside. It is a family oriented venue-no casino on site. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and you can bring your pet. There is room to haul in a large trailer if you need to. They provide fresh coffee in the lobby to take a cup with you for the road. I like staying here and have many times.

This is a great location in elko if you are traveling through and was very clean and comfortable. Quiet rooms updated baths and wi-fi were all very nice. I will stay here again when traveling to the West coast.

Good motel for a one night stay in Elko NV on our way back to California. No problems with hotel except someone at front desk really did not know the restaurant scene. Recommended a Basque restaurant with only two Basque items on menu; Also said it was within walking distance--5 very long blocks in very hot weather. We found a good restaurant on our own--one block away.

We drove 10 hours and our first stop to have fresh baked cookies to greet us! I cant tell you how this makes a tired 11 year old boy feel very happy Granson !! Then a swim in the pool to get ready for bed. Nice room to sleep in and very clean.

I made my reservation for Aug 19, as we are planning to be in the area for the lunar eclipse on Aug 21. The clerk could not figure out how to send my confirmation via email, but manually gave me the number. On June 21, I received an e-mail asking how my stay was. They reserved the wrong date and charged me $128 for the room that I am fighting to get back due to an employee's mistake.

A welcome and friendly reception after a long day's driving down from Yellowstone/Teton. Rooms are larger, tho I prefer to have one bed rather than two joined together! Clean and comfortable. Good complimentary breakfast too.

The hotel staff was friendly. Hotel allows pets, there was an order to the room, I would not have stayed if I knew about the pet policy. The hotel was quiet. Refrigerator in room worked. Air conditioner worked. Breakfast was adequate.

We stopped by on a Friday night with no reservation and the friendly front desk staff was able to find us a pet friendly room. The breakfast was great - loved the coffee machine especially! Will definitely stay here again!

In Elko this hotel stands out. Breakfast exceptional. Stall excellent Book early.. We stay here for the Elko mining show every year. Prices are higher early June for that show. Has everything you need and central location.

Traveling from Ca to Mn and stayed here for one night. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was in need of a remodel as bathtub lining was cracked and had come off in big chunks, leaving a clean but icky looking bathtub. Breakfast was good, biscuits and gravy, bacon, breakfast burritos, waffles, etc. Room was also quiet.

Very nice, well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, free WiFi, fridge, micro, new tv's. Indoor pool is large and goes to 6 ft depth with piped-in music and is open 24/7. There is also a Jacuzzi. An exercise area is adjacent with tv. Our desk clerk Sue was very helpful and accommodating and got us signed up for the rewards program which immediately earned is gift cards. Breakfast buffet is the best I've seen. Coffee available goes from regular to cappuccino and lattes to hit chocolate. More variety on cereals and breads than usual. Waffles were crispy outside and soft inside and choice of plain or banana nut. Hot foods were fresh and tasty and they have a commercial toaster. We complimented the lady managing the breakfast at how good and appealing it was.

Nice Hotel. Nice location: Downtown Elko. Helpful staff. Comfortable room. I thought it was too expensive. The Best Westerns I have stayed in in Oregon have had a person cooking eggs at the free breakfast which was much better.

The outside of the hotel looks like it was remodeled recently. This is not the case. The halls were not air conditioned and they whole place smelled of smoke even though it is bill as a smoke free facility. I filled out BW survey after my stay and they called to get details. The TV remote did not work, so my husband went down to the office and they gave him new batteries, still did not work. Bathroom door had water damage and was peeling from the bottom as was frame around the door. We stayed at a different place on the way home. Will never stay here again.

We stayed here for a night while on a road trip. The regular rates are a little high, but I got an excellent government employee rate. The location is very convenient from I-80. On the good side, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and check-in was quick and smooth. The room was quite large and we found the beds comfortable. The wifi worked reasonably well. The room was surprising quiet, and it's always nice to have a fridge handy. It's an older property that has updated decor. Pool is open 24/7, but we didn't use it. There's no restaurant on site, and unless you want fast food or a bit of a hike, you'll have to drive to eat--not something we wanted to do after 500 miles in the car. Breakfast is included, but pickings were somewhat slim by the time we checked it out at 8 am. The cooling system was noisy; without it, the room was too hot. Our bathroom had no shampoo and a dirty towel had been left on the shower rod. The remainder of the room seemed clean enough, but these seemed to me to be signs of sloppy housekeeping. When we mentioned the missing shampoo, the person at the desk apologized, gave us some, and made note of the room number, which was a good response (we hadn't yet noticed the towel). If I pass through Elko again, I'll definitely consider this place.

Enjoyable stay at a clean, friendly hotel. The suite room was perfect for our family of 6. Hotel pool and hot tub was nice respite from long drive. Fitness equipment could use updating. The hot breakfast was filling.

Quick review as we depart our one-night stay with two cats to say how much we appreciated the good room layout (#148), good coffee at front desk despite the complicated coffee/hot chocolate machine in the breakfast area giving the staff trouble. Everyone on staff that we passed smiled. I am writing with special gratitude that everything in the business center actually worked--the PC could be figured out even by this loyal Mac user, paper was in the printer, and I could accomplish my task without running to the front desk for help. Sheets crisp and clean, bed comfortable, TV news accessible, air conditioning worked. Only "complaint" -- the window screen was broken where someone else's pet had evidently tried to escape, so we could not leave the window open those 4" that our cats so love to look out and sniff their surroundings. Pool looks terrific--large--hot tub alongside, but we didn't have time, darn. Wi-Fi excellent. So glad that we used TripAdvisor for ratings to find this gem. My husband used Yelp for our dinner at Luciano's--very nice, good Italian food, waitress Mariah particularly lovely.

Stayed here before. Knew the quality. Price is right. BW is always my first consideration for many years. They are not always available in some of the locations that I travel but their prices are nearly always comparable to other similar lodging in an area.

I stay at this location every time I am in town. Some of the long time staff has become like family. They treat you with the utmost professionalism and make you feel comfortable and welcome. I will continue to stay at this location in the future. I have been a repeat member for at least 3 years and have and no reason to change where I stay. I would recommend the Best Western Elko to any one interested in an affordable and customer friendly experience.

Upon my arrival, the carpet was unkept which created doubt about the room itself. When reported to the staff, they informed me that they would let housekeeping know my concerns. No other accommodation were offered or suggested.

The rooms are big and clean, the hotel is clean and has nice pool, breakfast area, and workout room. The staff was friendly as well. The pool is full size and inside, and also has a hot tub. Some of the rooms have hot tubs as well.

Home made cookies for guest, breakfast buffet with a broad selection of both cold and hot food, very nice in door pool and sauna, pleasant staff, comfortable beds. We got a one bedroom suite; but, the price was a little more than what you might pay elsewhere for just a room with two beds. We had a full size, kitchen, not a kitchenette. Fantastic!

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and polite. The breakfast was the norm but hot and plentiful as well as varied. The lady at the front desk at check in time was very helpful and accommodated our need for a first floor room and was very prompt at replacing a missing light bulb in our room.

I stayed here twice with my dog. The most recent time was horrible. First of all, they put all the people with dogs in one hallway which wouldn't be a problem if the hotel wasn't packed and most of the dogs there were either loud barking dogs or aggressive towards my dog and I in the hallway and outside. I had a giant dog lunge and snarl at my dog and I as we were walking outside , the owner almost lost control of it and I had to jump back and pull my dog back to keep us from being attacked. When I asked to move rooms, the hotel refused. They said they'd go knock on the doors of the rooms with barking dogs, so I told her which rooms. But since the dogs didn't bark while she was in the hallway for a moment she didn't do anything and the barking and scratching on walls continued off and on throughout the night making for a very restless night of sleep for both my dog and I. I understand designated rooms for dogs, but putting them all together is a recipe for disaster on a busy night. Next- the fridge and fan in the room make a horrible creaky sound that indicate they both need to be serviced. Finally the worst part of all- I was using the hot tub when the maintenance people came in and said " don't worry we won't bother you , Just testing the chemicals in the water." I say okay.. then they bring in bottles of chemicals and I ask if they're going to apply those while I'm using the tub and they said " no we aren't allowed to put chemicals directly in the tub." Then they proceed to dump chemicals into the filter of the hot tub which flows directly into the hot tub. I watched as milky and hen blue chemicals were poured into the direct water I was in. Then she turned on the jets to "run it through the lines" within a minute my nose, throat and eyes were burning so bad I had to leave. Never staying there again. Didn't get any sleep, and didn't even get to relax in the hot tub that I specifically chose that hotel for. Major disappointment for a Best Western.

My two small dogs and I have stayed at the Best Western Elko several times and we have never been disappointed. I will stay again when I travel in this area. The pet area is conveniently located and my dogs take care of their needs. Pet bags are available, but sometimes need to be refilled. That is not an issue for me, as I always carry bags with me.

The hotel does not have a check in/out process when their electronic systems fail. Needless to say they were unable to see room inventory or reservations. My family and I had a reservation for a double queen bed room as there was three of us traveling. The hotel staff assigned us a single bed room as they had no idea what rooms where left or reserved.

We stayed one evening in the Best Western. The staff was super helpful and accommodating. We were scrambling at the last minute to find a hotel and the staff was incredibly amazing and provided us a room. It was clean and convenient.

We stayed for one night during our drive from the Bay Area to Denver. The room was large, clean and reasonably priced. Check in was efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

The price was high compared to other local motels. The pet area was great. Breakfast was nothing special. Our bathtub did not drain for hours. Staff was friendly and helpful and the location was central to many shops and restaurants.

The use of Bestwestern has been convient and pleasent. It is good feeling to be able to stop at a Best Western motel and know that all the needed things are there ready for a person without having to worry about it

Amazing place to stay! Staff is super friendly and helpful. They offer free cookies to guest and when they noticed I was in a bad mood from having a rough day they baked me a fresh batch! Nice pool and hot tub open 24 hours. Super comfortable beds! Mine was a pillow top! Great breakfast in the morning they had eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, waffles, French toast stick and more! Definitely would come back!!

I thoroughly enjoyed a very comfortable one night stay @ Best Western Elko. After reading a few bad reviews, I still decided to go-ahead and book a room via Hotels.com. My review are as follows: * Room was clean, comfortable king size bed with a great flat screen TV. Tons of cable cannels; who ever wrote they were limited was just wrong. Super soft towels. * The free hot breakfast has real eggs and great coffee (3 different kinds of coffee) full lay-out of pastries (more than Hampton Inns), FYI, I choose to refill my to-go cup of coffee with the Best Western cafeteria espresso coffee in lieu of stopping at Starbucks, it's that good! d) THE friendliest staff, who ever wrote a review of them being harsh is just wrong, I found these people super sweet, just couldn't do enough for you. e) As I have mentioned above, the past reviews giving the Best Western Elko anything but raving reviews is most probably competition trying to slander f) The Best Western Elko Inn is number one on Tripadvisor and "Excellent" rating on Hotels.com for a good / legitimate reason; its a great stay, Enjoy, I did!

Room was updated and the maid service did an excellent job of preparing the room as well as cleanliness. Overall, the staff does a great job. Breakfast was good with a variety to suit most everyone. We will plan on staying at the Best Western Elko the next time through.

As usual, this BW never disappoints. Sue and the staff are professional, courteous and friendly. Check in is a breeze. The super spacious rooms are always very clean, bedding is wonderful, towels are thick and thirsty. Breakfast is average and could use some improvement. We always travel with our dog and the pet station and walking areas are always nicely kept. We will always stay here when coming through Elko!

I stayed with my mother in a two bedroom suite with a kitchenette during our road trip west. The only positive was that the beds were moderately comfortable. The negative was everything else. The entire place was filthy- dirty fingerprints on the light switches, splashes of something on the walls, attempted paint repairs on the walls in different colors, moldy ceiling in the bathroom (like a leak must have happened) filthy floors (white socks turned black) and the couch not only had stains all over it, but it was ripped to shreds by something. Not only that, but someone at the hotel thought it would be a good idea to book a party of children in the suite on the second floor. And lest you think the hotel didn't know about the party, they had signs up outside the door and down the hallway leading to it. Neither my mom nor I were able to sleep because the walls and floors are paper thin. And this is after I requested to be on the second floor and was told suites were only on the first floor. When I informed the hotel staff of the less than optimal stay the next morning, I was told, "sorry, but suites are only on the second floor." Customer service is lacking - as is a proper cleaning staff. Stay away!!

This place is great! Staff is wonderfully helpful and the place is really clean! Breakfast was really good and had staff right there to help you with all of your needs! Rates were awesome and if they stay that way we will be quick to return.

This place is great! Excellent room and awesome breakfast! The breakfast burrito was delicious and the coffee was great. The room was clean and big enough for our family. The pool was a great surprise too (open 24 hours!)

I can't speak highly enough about the good folks at Elko Best Western! My eighty-six Y/O mother and I found ourselves stranded in Elko over the Easter holiday weekend. Happily, we booked an additional night in our spacious, lovely room. The complimentary breakfast was beyond expectation, but the staff was absolutely over the top! Particularly John, who was kind, efficient & had terrific suggestions for everything from tire pressure to great eats! Thank you BW Elko, for making our bad luck situation into an actual "holiday"!

We have stayed at this Best Western many times and have never had any complaints. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The room always clean and bed extremely comfortable. Their large indoor pool first attracted us to this hotel. Their breakfast bar has everything, but this time we were disappointed they no longer had turkey. sausages. We always highly recommend this hotel to friends.

The staff are very nice. The rooms are dated but clean and roomy. Breakfast was ok...healthier options would be nice. We were assigned our room but when we went to open the door, there was already someone in it. It seems that someone had sneaked in and was occupying the room. He quickly left when he realized we were checking in. The staff was extremely apologetic and gave us another room.

Our room had a king bed that did not come close to using up the space for the second bed. Easy check in, I just drove in a was given the CAA/AAA rate with me card and ID. Room 152 is close to the exit and gives you a easy in and out. Pet friendly.

The grandchildren loved the pool. Best place in town for a stay with children. We travel through Elko often and have stayed several places. This is my new favorite stop. Very helpful staff all the way around.

The room was clean. The phone didn't have anything numbers or calling information. It was random picks to be able to use it. The tv selection had cable news channels but NOT FOX NEWS. I don't want a hotel chain choosing where I get my news

Well there was a wonderful supportive bed, but that was it. The room wreaked of pet urine. The tall lamp did not work and the bathroom was in disrepair and falling apart. An electrical box was sticking out of the wall and moved when you plugged an item in. Tried to report upon checkout but no clerk was up front to report to.

I was in Elko for a convention and decided to stay near the convention facilities. The Best Western was just down the road from the Elko Convention area so I picked it. I was truly surprised with the quality of the rooms and the facility itself. Elko isn't exactly a large city so I figured it would be somewhat backwards in amenities but I was pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival the night shift gal was working very hard helping a customer on the phone but kept us in mind since we had just arrived. She worked both our check-in and the phone without making either of us feel like we were being ignored. The front area had nice fresh cookies and hot coffee. Both were a great, the cookies for the kids traveling with us and the coffee for us adults...ok we like the cookies too... Anyway, after waking up early I went on the hunt for some more fresh coffee and found and awesome Breakfast spread. 3 types of eggs, bacon (yes real bacon) and sausage (turkey for the health minded folks). Of course there were all types of cereal, both hot and cold, along with make your own waffles. All in all it was a great breakfast and saved going out to buy a good meal. If you're traveling through Northern NV and are stopping for the night in Elko, or just visiting, I'd highly recommend the Best Western.

I needed a dog friendly place. The room was comfortable and clean and had a microwave and fridge. Climate control was efficient. It was quiet. The free breakfast was tasty. Most of all, the dog was no problem and there was a dog exercise area. It wasn't fenced in but it was safe. They gave us dog treats at check in. The rate was good, too, less than $100 per night.

Stayed 2 nights last week in two different rooms on non-sequential reservations, both were on the second floor and in great shape minus loud heaters. I slept with the heat off and then needed the room warmer in the morning for working/conference calls and the in-the-wall heater is minimally effective and loud. Breakfast was good and checkin/checkout was quick and without a hitch. Staff were nice and professional. This hotel picks up some minor noise from the busy street out front, but is set back nicely and is also away from the interstate. All-in-all, fairly quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great hotel. A very unexpected gift in the middle of no where. The staff was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations for dinner. The breakfast was better than expected. All in all a great value and enjoyable place to stay.

Treated very well by staff at this location. Beds were comfortable but a little tall, we had a king..Breakfast included was better than most hotels. Cookies at front desk. Felt secure at this location. Gas stations and restaurants nearby. If you cant do stairs, ask for a 1st floor room or a room near the elevator if your on the second floor. Only saw one set of elevators near lobby. Pet friendly, have a grassy area and pet stations.

This motel was a great value at the price we've typically paid, for a cleaner, more spacious room with superior breakfast and larger than usual pool. Super friendly staff. Elko wasn't our destination but I am glad to have stopped in overnight.

We will not stay here again. Not clean. Terrible bathroom and shower. Water ran all over the floor. Noisy heater. Door was difficult to lock. Dim lighting in room. Staff was okay. Reservation was ready for us. Overpriced.

I enjoyed my stay and will use Best Western again. The staff was courteous and helpful. The food was good and the rooms were very clean and pleasant. The grounds were very tidy and it was close to town. The property was very clean and well maintained.

This hotel was older, but very clean and very quiet. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were as well. It is located very close to most of the local area restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was awesome and i enjoyed it very much.Additionally, the room was okey and it met my expectation althoguh there were no room sleepers for my foot.The receptionist was kind of rude hence i couldnt enjoy my two days stay at best western elko in.

The room was fresh and clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked the roomy king size. Although we did not use the refrigerator, it was nice to know it was there if we needed it. I noticed we had an ironing board and iron and also a hair dryer. These things are good to have on hand. The receptionist, Sue, was especially friendly.

We go between Salt Lake and Sacramento several times a year and the Elko Best Western is a good mid-way layover for those who just don't want to make the 10 hour drive. (8 hours if you fly very low!) Well kept facility and a nice breakfast before getting back on the road in the morning.

I enjoy getting away on the motorcycle for long weekends, and I always plan a few trips a year to Elko in the spring and fall. I ALWAYS stay at the Best Western Elko. Biggest indoor pool in Elko, with a Jacuzzi. Rooms are always nice and clean. Good central location, within walking distance of local eateries. Had an issue with my A/C unit...told the associate at the front desk (Patsy) and she had the unit replaced within the hour. Both Patsy and Sue were awesome, helping me secure reservations at one of the better eating establishments in Elko, the Star restaurant. Lots of parking, and motorcyclists are welcomed and can park under cover at the reception area. Breakfast is par with other hotels, i.e. if you are in a hurry to get on the road, you eat here...if not, you eat out.

I stayed there last night. The hotel tries so hard to make your experience good. Patsy greeted me and checked us in. Later when I was walking my dog I heard Patsy call my name from across the parking lot. She had been leaving for the night when she saw that I hadn't fully closed the trunk of my car. So she went back to the hotel and looked up whose car it was and then went to look for me to let me know that my trunk wasn't secure. This is not only great service, but consider that she was leaving for the night and took the time to help someone else instead of going home to her family. In the morning I arrived at the front desk to check out earlier than I'd said and my "to go" breakfast bag was read to go already. Patsy was there again with a smile even though she'd worked through the night because a coworker wasn't able to make it in today. In terms of the room, my room was large and comfortable. I love that they have the kind of tv remotes that can be cleaned - that's always kind of a gross part of staying in a hotel. The air conditioner blew so hard that the curtains floated in the air all night. Also, it did make some noises that woke me during the night. But overall it's a good deal for the money.

We arrived late and were very tired from traveling all day. We had not made a reservation in advance and was happy the front desk girl said they could accommodate us. The room was very nice. The mattress was firm with good pillows. So we had a good nights sleep. We had breakfast the next morning. It was more than good and filling.

Best Western Elko Inn is the nucest hotel in Elko. The room was spacious clean and quiet. What more could anyone ask for. A great nights sleep, rest and relaxation helped make it an extra enjoyable trip.

My boyfriend and I stopped here after a very long drive for work. The woman at the desk, Sue, was so sweet and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Very professional and definitely recommend.

We stopped here on our way to Idaho. The room was great and the hotel staff was excellent. We were advised of the restaurant just down the street at the casino. It was a great tip because the restaurant was excellent. Would advise staying here when you are passing through or even for a few days.

Needed more cleaning. Carpet had some debris. Had to request TP twice since the room attendant left none, embarrassing and uncomfortably. To make things worst it was a room for someone disabled. I am not disabled, and did not mind the room, but housekeeping needs to pay a love little more attention and detail to these special rooms. The pool ran out of towels completely and had only one manager at night checking and attending guests. The is a need for another staff member at evening/night time. One is not enough, especially when events are going on. Breakfast was pleasant. Location of hotel is convenient.

We actually stayed here twice on this trip. First time we didn't have a reservation as we were not sure where our travels would end that day which is a little scary when you are traveling with your elderly mother and two dogs, so it was nice to end up with a good room and the next morning a great breakfast... so we booked a room on our return trip. An extra special thank you to Patricia Sanchez who was very helpful with my Mom's needs at breakfast.

The front desk girls are awesome they helped in every way they could, the rooms are super clean quiet. My boys loved that we got a room with a window facing the train tracks and they loved it every time they seen the train go by.

The room was large and comfy and clean-the desk people were all friendly and helpful. They had an ad on their sign that offered a discount for the second night's stay and we asked about it. they said it had expired a few days prior, but they actually gave us the discount anyway. Very accommodating.

Very nice accomodations, as we have come to expect from Best Western. Upon our request the staff gave us a recommendation to a Mexican restaurant. It was outstanding, and when we returned we told the staff member at the front desk how great it was and to keep on recommending it. We were just passing through, so it was very pleasant to be referred to such an excellent restaurant.

Wonderful stay here at this spacious, nicely remodeled motel. The lobby is very welcoming and warm, and the staff have provided a single serve Keurig coffeemaker in the lobby for guests to use upon arrival. Our room was huge, very clean and modern, comfy bed, etc. We especially appreciated the large grassy area for our dog, an unusual amenity for most hotels that allow pets. The inn is located along a busy street but is set back far enough that traffic noise is never a problem. Very helpful staff and and a terrific bargain.

Stayed at the Elko Best Western on my trip to Stockton California to visit and stay with my friends for a couple of months. The rooms at this location are nice and comfortable and there breakfast is very good.

A superior Best Western, updated, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The beds were firm, the room decor attractive, and our room--a double queen--seemed extra big. The desk staff was efficient, friendly, and helpful. We liked our room so much on the way to California that we asked for the same room on our return and the woman at the desk made sure it was there for us. Breakfast is now pretty much the same wherever you stop, but the biscuits were fresh and hot and the eggs were not little lumps of yellow ceramic. And if you have a dog with you, this is a great place, as there are rooms in a wing adjacent to a large and well-landscaped grassy area at the far end of the motel. Highly recommended.

Room had major plumbing issues. Had to fill wastebasket with water and use it to flush the toilet. Tub would not drain either. Woman who stayed in room above us complained of same issues. Refrigerator was turned off before we arrived which allowed freezer to defrost and carpet was soaking wet. Cable system did not carry Fox News!!! Had some other news network (OANN) running in place of Fox.

Everything was in order, no surprises. Liked seeing rooms allowing pets, for some of us, they are like our kids. Parking was not crowded, breakfast was a good send-off. Check-in and check-out was simple, not complicated.

We have stayed in Elko before and the reason myself and all our family members stay at the Best Western Inn is the place is clean and I cannot say enough times how friendly all the employees are. I could just be walking down the hall with my therapy dog and any employee will ask how I am doing and is there anything they can help me with.

The room was very clean and the people were very friendly.The lady who served breakfast was especially friendly and helpful. Her name is Patricia Sanchez. I hope she is working the next time I come there! It is really nice to have a lady like her to give the guests such a nice welcome!

We were very pleased especially with the team of people who worked for this motel. The maintenance man was there in 2 minutes when I called because I could not work the shower. He was patient and showed me how to work it. There was a whole soccer team there and the breakfast room was really crowded. Logan was working the breakfast room and he really deserves credit for being hard working, very polite and gracious and doing an excellent job.

One of the best muffins I ever had. Also had oatmeal and juice. Room was nice and clean. Had the added pleasure of encountering a family of deer just across the parking lot in this hotel. Was told the main floor was full and there was no elevator, so had to lug luggage up a flight of stairs. If you are disabled, I would only recommend staying here if you have a ground floor reserved.

We appreciated the military discount and the free hot breakfast which made our stay even better. The room and general premises of the hotel were clean and inviting. The employees were friendly as well.

This is definitely one of the nicest Best Western motels we have stayed in. The rooms were large and clean, the beds were wonderful, and the breakfast area was large with plenty of room to get the breakfast items. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and seemed sincerely happy.
