« Simple room but very soft mattress and not so quiet in the night but free parking 20 min walk into the city centre. »

Location Hotel is quite well located, just on the outskirts of the city centre in a residential area. Depending where in the city centre you are headed , it's only a 10 - 20 minutes walk to the centre. Nearby is a supermarket, cinema and some restaurants. Bars & shops as well. Room Room on top floor was quite a simple room, a notch up from Ibis but similar set up. The bed was soft , one of the softest mattress I have slept in. It's ok but a bit of shock when your home mattress is firm. It offers these 4 pillows that aren't very soft so it's a bit mis match plus they lay the duvet all the way to the back under pillows. which seems like they can't be bothered to make a bed right but then that just might be their standardised way. Behind bed in centre is a convenient lights main switch plus either side are tiny bedside tables with lamps and Flexi-lights. Ok for reading but they aren't right over the bed etc. Plus a phone on one table . No nearby plug sockets. A jazzy arm chair comes with a small table and then there is a very small desk where lamp exists and two EU plug sockets. Facing the bed , to the side is a TV with 28 or so channels from all over Europe. It's seems standard cable but good selection. There is an open wardrobe with coat hangers , luggage rack with kettle and some teas/coffee plus a safe - not large enough for laptop but money, tablets and phones all fit ok. The bathroom reminds me of IBIS hotels design, very poky with a shower cubicle - they use a combined shampoo / shower gel dispenser but best western does include a mini body lotion item , vanity set and odd face towels by the brand Bhuvana. There is a hair dryer plus EU sockets The room has a large radiator , as well as a air conditioner unit. Windows can also open but quite noisy as main road is outside. Overall I slept ok but the mattress is so soft, the room is clean but overall quite small and simple for BW. The noise which can be heard throughout did wake me up a few times- both the road and other guests. One thing to say is a odd un welcoming smell as you walk in but that is not that noticeable after a while. Facilities The hotel offers free secure WIFI for multiple devices. It worked fast and was well. There is a bar and restaurant but did not use these but looked nice and colourful. Breakfast is charged at 15 Euros. I did not try since the supermarket a 2 min walk was a cheaper option. There is also free parking but it's not a very orderly car park ram packed too hard to park but I guess I was there with last free place at night. Decor in the hotel is colourful and it is very clean. They do offer some vending machines both drinks and snack items at reception. There is also some conference rooms. The hotel does offer a small elevator and they offer some airport luggage carts for you to use for your bags. Staff Staff are very pleasant and helpful. AsIi arrived the car park was explained to me as too full so told which streets to park nearby which are free during the day- was a bit disappointing to hear as this was one of the reason I booked hotel was for free parking. Later though when i was about to move car from directly outside (which is free after 9pm-9am) and asked staff which streets to go for, I was told a space became available and staff were keen to tell me. Overall check-in and check-out was fast and staff did so in a friendly manner. Overall the hotel room is ok but felt slightly over priced. Walls are also thin so you hear you a lot during the night including the road outside. It was quite a convenient location but I think I would try somewhere else if I come to Eindhoven again. Somewhere more quieter room as I am a light sleeper, plus the mattress was just too soft for my back. It was a last minute booking so perhaps the £62 rate is higher than their normal rate for a Thursday night.

« Quaint but Noisy with AMAZING Breakfast »

The reason I am giving a four is because of the lovely staff at the hotel. We were received in true Dutch fashion, with smiles and politeness. Everyone on the staff was very helpful, it is not a nice, only because of the noise level of the hotel, although the street was pretty quiet at night, I could hear my neighbours very distinctly. Since this was a work trip and I needed to sleep to be fresh and ready to perform my duty the next day, the fact that the walls are so thin and you can hear your neighbour is a bit of a downer. There are no mini bars and no iron. The breakfast on the other end is awesome. It is buffet style with a lot of great choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel for vacationers.

    « Never Again »

We booked a two bed room but we got a one bed room. Terrible night with my adult son sharing a small bed. Room was smelling badly...Breakfast poor quality and too expensive for the selection of breakfast items. The only positive to mention was the hotel staff, the lady at the reception really tried to help to get the room we booked but no two bed room was available.

« Good accommodation and location »

Great hotel! Clean with friendly staff. I didn't eat here so cannot comment on that, but the rooms were very good - long comfortable beds and bedding, some Brit TV channels for that downtime, clean, tidy and presentable. Location is perfect for a 15 minute stroll into town.

« Efficient convenient - but be careful with the shower »

The Hotel is close to the Center.. Easy to reach.. Has free parking opportunities And a Restaurant inhouse, more in close walking distance...as well as a super market. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the shower which changed temperatures from warm to extreme hot within seconds So i continued with a cold shower to be on the safe side

    « Eindhoven in between get-a-way »

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful both at check-in and check-out. located about 10 KM from the airport was easy to get to by car, there is bus service available, but not sure where the stops are. The hotel advertises that they have bicycles available; the city as a whole is the most bike friendly place I have ever been. There is designated bike lanes all throughout; their preferred method of getting around Bravo!. The area has several places to eat and a couple grocery's all within walking (biking)distance. We traveled to Amsterdam 1. hours and 20minutes away, the roads are well maintained and easy to navigate. Also went to Brussels, an easy drive to get there as well 1 hour and 35 minutes.

    « Lovely hotel »

Booked this hotel for a few nights, friendly staff, decent accommodation and reasonable price. Well located for city centre and locality, would stay again. There was free parking which is unusual for a city centre hotel.

    « Ideal »

Stayed in a single room for 2 nights 5th August. Quick check in and Chantal was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful with advice. A credit to the hotel, just a shame I never saw her again to say thanks. A friendly face is always helpful especially after I'd got lost finding the hotel. Travel from the airport is easy, take the 400/401 to the station and change to a 17, 7 or 173 all on a day ticket costing €6. The problem came when the guy in the bus station said get off at Plaza, however, this stop doesn't exist anymore. Lucky for me I had a very helpful bus driver who when I asked where I was 20 minutes later informed me it had been renamed Heistatt previously The Plaza and the bus was on a round trip so she could take me back past the hotel. The room was adequate in size, toiletries provided, clean, TV with English stations, good storage and a safe. No complaints there. Supermarket 50 yds away, buy breakfast there and save money. Bus stop outside the hotel. It was a 25 minute walk to the centre/station and 10/15 minutes to the main drinking street full of bars which are reasonably priced. I did find they were full of stag parties and mainly males out drinking. It's a lonely walk back to the hotel late at night and although wide roads not very well lit up. Word of advice, beware the bikes they seem to have right of way over everything and there are plenty of them. All in all a great hotel and I'd certainly stay again even if a little out of the centre.

    « A functional hotel »

This hotel is stated as a four star but I found the quality less than I would expect for a four star hotel. The bedroom was adequate for sleeping and had a very efficient Air Conditioner, which was needed as the room I had faced the road which was busy especially during morning and evening rush hours. The shower pressure was very poor: if someone ran any water anywhere else in the hotel the temperature changed from OK to very cold then very hot. Showers took twice as long due to these changing temperatures. The bedroom had been recently refitted and decorated quite tastefully and the bed very comfortable. Whilst it stated on the room card that meals and extras could be put on the room card, I was told that because I was in a "big" party ( there were about 40 of us that it was too difficult to charge things to the room card. Cash or Credit card payments only for meals and extras. The breakfasts were very good, a good selection of cold and some hot foods but the fruit selection was rather less that I would have expected in a fruit producing country. Staff were very polite. The free WiFi was also good. For the price I would not stay there again.

« Small rooms but well equipped »

Visited here as part of a large tour group. Rooms were better than expected although on the small side. Good facilities with hairdryer etc. Could have done with better toiletries but other than that - rooms were good. Breakfast was a fairly typical European option, staff were very accommodating to the coeliac in our party though which was very much appreciated. Gluten free Bread and sweets were provided every breakfast to accommodate.

    « Functional and clean »

The rooms were clean (apart from the common, but unwanted build up in the corners of the en suite). The ensuite was a good size but the bedroom small with shelves and a hanging rail rather than drawers and a wardrobe with doors. Reception staff were friendly, but not the breakfast lady who was reluctant to refill the buffet items as they ran out. Breakfast was OK. It included cooked items, meats and cheeses and yoghurt, and fresh fruit items (but only melon and on one day, pineapple, in a prepared state). A value hotel, but not a luxory one by any means.

« So much for not so much! »

We spent 4 days in Eindhoven during the Design Week. It was a bit far from the events, but as a young couple, had never found walking and public transporting difficult. Price was just a little higher than a hostel, but very clean and warm! (which is a point, at wintertime) The overall experience is very positive. We found the great trailer truck picture kind of humorous above our bed!

    « nice place »

Nice place. Clean. Breakfast food could be better but had everything you needed. The employees were very nice and all spoke English. I would recommend this hotel. The parking was limited and the signage for the parking needs to be closer to the street you turn on.

    « Luxury at it's best »

Personally my best stay in Eindhoven for my office conferences which is again in the next building. The room facilities are good, the overall ambiance and the view through window facing the down town is very good. I was thoroughly enjoying the stay. Few remarks, few of the staffs were a bit racist. They treated us differently than the locals. Not all the staffs but few of them. The food is relatively expensive considering the value. Otherwise, I liked the hotel at it's best with free wifi and situated very close to Eindhoven train station.

    « Between 3 and 4**** hotel »

The hotel is located close to the center, offering free parking in the backyard. Rooms are nicely furbished, regular standard. However the breakfast choice is not what you expect from 4**** hotel and then also the service you get is not exactly worth the asked price.

    « Very nice »

Before under Mercure brand, this Best Western hotel is located 15-20 minutes from the Eindhoven Airport. Quite clean, very fiendly staff. Quick check in and check out. Delicious breakfast. 20 minutes by foot to the city center.

« Good location and good price for the quality received »

The rooms are recently renovated, all very good for the price, full amenities in the bathroom, comfortable beds and well insulated against noise. Not a luxury hotel but quality for price and accesible location with parking. The lighting could be improved in the rooms, it was impossible to see much. Staff are very attentive, clearly well trained . I would return to this hotel if travelling on business.

    « Not anymore - fake 4 stars - unhappy service »

It's a fake 4 stars. The hotel look old and sad. Just a resume of my experience: - The TV was 'dead' - when arrived the room was very cold - during the evening the Wi-Fi was out of service Very unkind services: - at 10.30 I asked for a coffee and a croissant, the receptionist immediate told me 'it's not possible, the breakfast close at 10'. Then I saw that on backside of the bar, they had a table still full of croissant and cakes. I did not ask it for free, I was going to pay, and especially I was hungry, why this unhappy behavior??? - I asked the possibility to stay one extra hour in the room, they wanted to charge 25€ (the hotel was almost empty). - after my check-out, arrived to the airport unfortunately I saw that I forgot some documents in the room, I called the hotel to ask to send the docs with a taxi (of course at my charge), the immediate answer was: 'it's not possible', even they did not care if I could loose my flight, I had to come back to the hotel to pick up my staff. I travel a lot for business, this is not my first 'best western', but surely is the worst, they did not respect the basic rules to treat the customers, it was a very unhappy experience. In Eindhoven there a lot of better hotel than this.

« Not much value for money »

This hotel is very expensive for what you get. The rooms are pretty outdated and our bed was very small. The wifi doesn't work properly. They wrongly charged us a tourist tax, even though we both live in Eindhoven, the personal responded very unfriendly when we pointed that out. The breakfast was very expensive so we skipped that. Would not recommend.

    « 3*hotel with very good breakfast/restaurant »

We came for the event there and all prices for accommodation were increased that day while some good hotels were full. This is 3, not 4 star hotel. have you seen the bathroom there ? I felt like I am in student hostel on the way to my room from elevator. Small elevator, very narrow corridor and etc. I liked the restaurant and especially breakfast there. It is really nice . Smoke salmon, bacon, cheese, fruits, good choice of tea and coffee. I have not found fried eggs there what was strange while they have got omelet and boiled eggs. 10 Euro for taxi to City centre or Philips Arena. Nice. If you need something not expensive and not far from the city centre with the good place to eat this is the place for you.

    « Long stay »

The hotel is abt 15 minutes walking distance from d train station and all d shopping area, it has a bus stop just across d road and a supermarket which is very good. The hotel overall was very average rooms were very small for a family of 3. No Mimi bar in d room. Breakfasts was d same everyday no much selection of food ( scrambled eggs, hard boil eggs, breads, fruits, n some ham n cheese) we paid 14 euros x person for breakfast. House keeping staff change d linen every alternate days however in all d days I was there many a times they forgot I had to rush breakfast to remind them. ( I was there for 4 weeks) D staff at d help desk n reception were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel for short stays.

    « Nice hotel. »

Stayed to see the stranglers with a party of about 80. A comfortable hotel, which seems very popular. Breakfast staff were a little "slow" to respond, and the food was OK. About a 15 minute walk into the shops. There are however supermarkets and food outlets near the hotel.

    « Comfortable stay »

Stayed in Hotel Mercure, eindhoven for almost three weeks. Friendly staff and neat and clean rooms will take away all the points, though the rooms are not that big. Breakfast menu is almost the same everday. Decent location, with bus stop just in front if the hotel. Very friendly reception staff who guides you the route to nearby places of interest. Overall had a pleasant stay.

« Not far from town centre, what there is of one. »

Stayed at this hoptel as a place from which to travel to Maastricht for an open air concert. Rooms are OK, but nothing special. Staff can be a bit off, and downright rude in one case. Rarely is someone on reception, and they will not change money for you, always coming up witha different excuse. Breakfast was good, except coffee machine which kept breaking down. Good as a hotel to use before going to somewhere interesting.

    « just right for a weekend »

Nice for a stopover hotel. Rooms compact but since only used for sleeping not a problem. Nice bathroom with everything your require. Nice helpful staff. Great free wi fi..... We had a really nice dinner and would recommend. Aldo a great breakfast buffet style. No complaints here.

    « It Works »

The Mercure Hotel, Eindhoven was a decent enough place if you are traveling on a bit of a budget. Pros: - Nice location - Friendly staff - Good breakfast - Right next to the bus stop Cons: - Poor Wi-Fi - No air conditioning if its a warm day Not a bad place to stay. Message me if you have any questions.

    « Good »

This hotel is placed close to Eindhoven city center. You can reach it with a 1,5km walk. I was there one night in May 2015. I think it's a good hotel and I would suggest it for visiting Eindhoven or for work purposes. - Staff is helpful - The room is more or less in line with Mercure standards even if a renovation of the bathroom could be a good idea - Didn't try the restaurant but it looks good - Breakfast buffet is very good - The parking lot is free and this is a very good point A good place
