    « LOVELY HOTEL »

A nice hotel, and although on a busy road the rooms were quiet with good air-conditioning. Great spacious room with lovely en-suite. The restaurant and food were very good and the staff friendly and efficient. We would stay at this hotel again if we are in this part of Dortmund.

    « German Highlights »

We were in town for a wedding. The location was convenient to our locations, taxis available close, and the train station just across the street. The staff was helpful, although were not great with the English language. We had a triple room that faced the street, which could be noisy if the window was open. The room had been updated, was very clean and neat, had a refrigerator, safe, and very nice large bathroom with granite sink and shower.. The shower was large with a great spray! Loved it! We also had a single room facing the back which was quiet. That room did not appear updated and my daughter thought of it as a "dorm room". The shower was small with a small tub. The breakfast buffet was lovely, including the meats, cheese and fish, along with eggs, bacon, potatoes, breads etc. There was a really nice assortment of jams and preserves along with yogurt and fruit. The setting was in a very nicely updated dining area with windows, nice lighting, and good coffee and service. We loved our breakfasts here! There was a nice small bar with good service/cozy. I hope to be back to Dortmund and would love to stay here again!

    « Sehr Gut! »

Excellent hotel, good facilities and friendly staff. We had a large suite for 3 persons. Typical (bit ugly) German interior but very large, clean and comfortable bed and good bathroom. Price (in April) was very fair for the space, comfort and hygiene offered. A bit out of the centre of town but 200 mt from metro. So very convenient.

    « Very Comfortable Hotel »

Spent a weekend here as part of a package trip to see BVB Dortmund booked via Best Travel. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably spacious and those at the back of the hotel are very quiet (we slept with the window open one night and didn't notice any noise). There is some noise from the corridors as there is only one door between the room and the corridor but this was only really noticeable when the maids were doing their rounds at about 0930. There is a well-stocked (and very reasonably-priced) minibar and TV with the usual channels. Reception staff were friendly and spoke good English, the staff in the restaurant were less comfortable conversing in English but with the aid of a phrasebook we muddled along fine, and service was quick and efficient. The food in the main restaurant was very good, and breakfast was varied and plentiful. The hotel is some way outside the centre of Dortmund, but the tram-stop is only 80 metres away and with 4 trams an hour at a weekend, getting into the centre took only 15-20 minutes or so. This is a very nice hotel for its category that I would be happy to return to.

    « Great stopover hotel. »

We have been using the Wittekindshof for well over a decade as a stopover, in driving from the U.K. and onto Dresden and Berlin. We would never use anywhere else. The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable and the Staff make us very welcome. Dinner in the Stube is always good and there's plenty of choice at breakfast..Also parking for the car is free and safe in the hotel car park. We would particuarly like to thank Raj and Andreas for always making sure we are well looked after. Highly recommend the Wittekindshof to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in or around Dortmund.

    « Never been here »

But I will come back for sure. Rooms are big enough, bathroom is clean and good organized. He best is bed in the room, comfortable so I could sleep longer time than I planned. Breakfast was ok, good selection of different food, only scramble eggs were too dry as for my preference. Good location close to main street easy to reach airport. To get to city center you can take a taxi or take longer walk.

    « Danke jurgen »

Great place to stop for the football and associated stag do. Staff were lovely and welcoming as 14 English lads descended! Rooms are modern and very clean and well appointed. Rooms on the top floor seemed nicest with large balconies. Food and drink were good. The barman - forget his name - but very welcoming and good banter. Definitely recommend and definitely will use again next season.

« Top marks all round! »

Really nice hotel. The rooms are modern, well cleaned and well appointed and most importantly the bed and pillows were really comfortable. I stayed two nights on a business trip to nearby Hagen. The restaurant food is amazing. Quality of ingredients and choice are really good and great service all round. Happy staff make happy guests! Really impressed and would definitely stay there again.

« Great stay, close to city and the Phonix see »

Situated on a busy road, close to the Phonix see and the city center this hotel offers great service and a relaxing stay. Rooms well serviced, friendly staff and the food great. liked the close proximity tot the train station that made the travelling in and around the city easy to access. Albeit being on business the hotel made you feel as if you are on holiday. Great place to stay!

« Extremely friendly staff in a traditional hotel »

The staff were all very friendly and helpful in this very traditional hotel, more suited to mature visitors than younger travellers. The train station is within a few minutes walking distance for transportation and thus very accessable, The restaurant offered a good selection of quality foods but the bar was poorly frequented. The room was adequate but the shower was very small. Overall it was a pleasant stay but not really suitable for younger travellers looking for a good time

« Old fashioned rooms but good service »

I stayed there for one night and the first impression was good. The parking is easy and the reception hall is nice. However it is located along a busy avenue which is convenient if you don't have your window facing this street. Then the bathroom is 80s style. The free WiFi was not useful as the signal was too weak in my room. However I'd like to finish on a positive point: the staff is really nice.
