Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge

Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge is right on large Lake Dillon, and we loved the beautiful expansive view and peaceful setting with no highway noise. Great sleeping on comfortable beds. This pet friendly inn has good dog walking areas including the long tracks along the lake. The breakfasts were excellent with extensive offerings both hot and cold and lovely seating with big windows facing the lake. The spa is large and very enjoyable. We look forward to returning.

Hotel is very clean for as old as it is. Everything worked in the room. Lots of families so it was quiet at night. Breakfast was good. Location is close to restaurants and both keystone and Breckenridge. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Beds and pillows were comfortable.

Second visit here (and same room - which was bizarre as we did not request this). Great little motel. Not fancy but doesn't pretend to be. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good breakfasts and hot tub - all You need for ski trip. Shame the pub next door has closed. Laundry is a great feature we don't see in UK hotels

Pros and cons: Cons, separate buildings so you walk outside to the office for breakfast. A bit dated. Bath fan very noisy, bathroom sink drained very slowly, mixed light bulbs in room--one yellow, the other very white. Plastic room keys rather iffy. $208 a night not cheap. Pros: nice breakfast included. Good lighting in room. Internet good. Fantastic scenery on Dillon Reservoir. Friendly, efficient desk clerk.

Nothing at all to complain about - most enjoyable. I would certainly recommend this hotel plus it's a great view of Lake Dillion. I can't think of more to say to complete 200 characters - very silly thing to ask before it can be submitted

This hotel was in great place across the street from Dillon Lake. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Rooms were very basic. They could use an overall deep cleaning and odor persists. Even though price is decent the hotel needs a major renovation.

This hotel is in a great location near any ski destinations, and the trail along the Dillion Reservoir! The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. The only complaint I have is that our first floor room seemed dark, but it was fine for a short stay. The staff was great. The breakfast was exactly what is expected at a continental breakfast, and was very convenient. We would stay here again.

My husband and I stay here several times a year. Great location and always very clean. old fashion place with ski lockers and balcony rooms. close to Keystone skiing. rate includes breakfast and they have some prepackaged danish if you just want something to go. unfortunately the great restaurant across the way closed “Arapahoe Cafe”. sounds like this area has planned new development, hopefully the best western is not impacted.

Excellent in every way. Service, breakfast, bed comfort, cleanliness, friendliness, and location. I've stayed there for over 20 years and can highly recommend it. They offer tickets to all of the major ski resorts, give restaurant recommendations and even know road conditions.

It's dated but rooms are clean and large enough and convenient for a family of 4 during a recent ski trip to Loveland. The rooms in Bldg 2 have a lake view but couldn't see it from our room in Bldg 3. Breakfast incl all the standard items but it gets crowded. Very close to the restaurants and shops in Dillon, you can walk to some of them and right across the street is a path around the lake. The rooms only have heat and are very warm in winter, too warm for our family, but opening the windows and turning on the ceiling fan helped.

Great location and value. Only a few minutes from Keystone Ski Hill. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good and staff is very quick to help with any issues. Hot tub is great and clean. Overall property is clean and well maintained.

Excellent stay at BW Ptarmigan!!! A pleasant, affordable surprise for a updated older hotel. A perfect location facing Dillion Reservoir, town and hiking. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds and warm shower. Particularly enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. Convenient free parking. Will definitely return!!!

Although and older property the motel is clean and inviting. All our interaction with staff is positive. They take pride in this property. The motel is conveniently located to the amenities we are looking for. A peaceful and relaxing stay.

After a quick and efficient check in, I received a room near the office and a little view of the lake. Rooms were clean and odor free, thankfully I could not detect any pet or smoke odors. Walls are paper thin and anything you say or do will be heard by your neighbors, including getting up at 2 am to use the restroom. Staff was helpful professional and the breakfast is better than most Best Westerns. I would stay here again and take a day or two longer.

Excellent location! Best bang for your buck. Plenty of small businesses to dine in and shop. State of the art Ampitheater on the shores of lake Dillion. Delicious breakfast that has everything you would want for a complete meal.

Great hotel with such a fantastic location. Nice walking trails by the lake and great views of the lake and mountains. Hotel is very comfortable and not too far from other amenities. Restaurant on site is very good.

We have stayed at the property several times before and although each stay was great, this one was the best. I called the property to make my reservation to make sure I could get a room on the second floor and in the back. The room was perfect in building 4, super clean with a view of the lake and mountains. The grounds were immaculate and this property is in the perfect loacation in Dillion. We'll be back!!

Ptarmigan lounge has a slightly rustic feel and has great quality. It is a great mountain stay for a reasonable price. Rooms are nice, the continental breakfast is great, and the service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

We love this lovely hotel. It is located at a perfect location, next to the lake and across the Dillon Amphitheater. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are super clean and the beds excellent. And they have a great breakfast. This is my 4th summer stay.. I love that they allow dogs and there are plenty of places to walk them near the hotel. Thank you for a great stay. And it is very well priced.

Nice motel and breakfast. Not cheap, but pleasant if a bit old. Could use USB outlets in room. No AC, but we were okay. Main problem is plastic key problems. When we checked in a guest was complaining that their key did not work. Same thing happened to us. I had to walk back to the office from Building 4, quite a distance. Clerk said I was number 3 that day with a key problem. She said maybe the locks needed new batteries. For $170 a night I think they should make sure all keys work, or give you a discount if a key does not work.

The Ptarmigan Lodge is a no-frills hotel with the best location in Summit County - right on Lake Dillon. It is always clean, the grounds beautiful and friendly staff. Did I mention the best location and view on Lake Dillon!

Always clean and comfortable, very quant with the best location. Biggest bang for your buck and the full complimentary breakfast is always excellent. I would highly recommend the Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge.

Stayed one night after a weekend at the Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival. Check-in fast and friendly. Room nice, although the view was limited because it was a garden level room with a view of the parking lot. Located right across the street from the Dillon Amphitheatre where we attended a free concert. Breakfast items good. A nice restaurant, the Arapahoe Cafe, located next to the hotel. We have stayed here before and would stay here again.

Older motel but very well maintained and in a perfect location very close to Dillon Lake and amphitheater. Went in the summer and they had flowers all over the grounds. They have benches and picnic tables.

In the year of 2023, I never thought I'd have to research if a hotel has air conditioning, but I guess I should have read reviews rather than looking at the overall rating. Thankfully, we only stayed one night, but I cannot believe the price of this hotel for not having air conditioning as an amenity (especially when the Marriott in Frisco wasn't much further and the same price). Yes, we left the window open overnight, and it was 44 degrees the next morning outside but still barely cool in the room. Our keycards also stopped working at night, and we had to hike down from Building 4 to guest services to have them rekeyed. And I say this someone who managed a hotel 10+ years ago, but in this day and age, key cards shouldn't have to be rekeyed anymore. The next four nights we stayed at a Marriott property without having to have our keys rekeyed at all so I know this Best Western's software/system is probably just antiquated. The staff were knowledgable, friendly, and polite. I probably wouldn't recommend staying at this property during the summer due to the lack of A/C (it was in mid 80s during the day and our room was very stuff, even with the window), but maybe it would be fine in the winter. Just maybe ask for a few extra key cards and keep one in your car just in case. Overall, it was fine for a one night stay, but if I had to stay multiple nights, I'd probably stay somewhere else. All that to say, none of this is the staff's fault, and they have to work with the property they have, but it's time for Best Western to invest some money in the property and upgrade some things!

We were so pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was right across the street from beautiful Lake Dillon. And there was live music in the amphitheater down the street complete with food trucks! (I guess they do this every Monday night.) The gal at the front desk was especially nice and helpful. Just a great experience overall!

This pace is AMAZING! Pattira at the front desk was wonderful when we arrived to check in. In the morning, the front desk person (Caroline I believe) was on top of everything and really kind and helpful. The breakfast attendant was on FIRE as he handled the busy crowd with ease and kindness. The housekeeping was perfect and so was the room. We can't wait to return

I can't even review the hotel itself, because the staff member my wife spoke with hung up on her mid-call after repeatedly talking over her. The price we were quoted on the phone was $50 more than the website price (we are members, there was no third party service, so the Best Western site price is what we should have paid). The woman my wife spoke with would not let her talk, just spoke over her multiple times and then hung up and did not answer when we called back twice. I have to wonder if this was a scam, since I've heard of surprise upcharges like that and it's Friday night so finding a room is tough. Very unpleasant experience at the tail end of a month-long trip that's been nothing but work and driving. We just wanted to sleep. Instead we spent half an hour in the car at a Kum & Go with my wife crying because she's exhausted and got treated like dirt. Won't be trying this place again. To be fair, maybe we got the one bad apple and the rest of the staff is great. Still very unhappy.

The room was too close to the stairs and locker room (building entrance) which caused a lot of noise and disturbance. It may be a good idea for the hotel to not book the rooms next to the stairs and locker room to allow for a better guest experience. Also, there was no way to allow the guest to control the heating in the room. Our entire stay we were extremely hot without any control, except to open the window when it was below 20 degrees outside.

Good accommodations with a very attentive staff, clean and comfortable rooms although a bit older decor. Overall, a good value for Dillon. Nice to have a hot breakfast in the morning. Good location to the Lake and nice views for a walk.

This place is very nice and clean. Very close to different ski and other winter activities. The view to the lake is amazing. Hosts are very friendly and helpful and always assisted with all my needs. The best experience ever.

Stayed here over New Year's 2023. Great location in Dillon. The hallways and rooms and lighting could use a bit of updating but they are comfortable. Bed and linens were awesome and I am a very finnicky sleeper. Doesn't appear to have air conditioning for those in the summer. We stayed on the second floor. Room seemed a bit warm and the thermostat didn't seem to have much effect-might be heat coming up from 1st floor. its baseboard heat so not that controllable. Bathroom was dated but very functional. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. minifridge in room and tiny microwave. Breakfast was good.

We had intended to stay in Frisco but, after having to delay because of covid, we saw the views of the lake from this hotel on TA and decided to book here instead. We were a little disappointed that our room didn't have a view but, otherwise, we were happy with our stay and it was reasonably priced. The view from the breakfast room is beautiful.

Had 2 rooms for our family. They were side by side which wasn't requested but was nice. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was spacious for 3 adults. Plenty of closet storage space and the ski/board lockers in each building were a good idea. Very lovely views or few steps walk to enjoy Lake Dillon. Can recommend.

Building is so old the noise from upstairs makes stay uncomfortable.The building needs a major renovation to bring it up to the standard of a modern hotel.So i would recommend anybody who needs a good night sleep do not stay.

I've booked three different stays, and I'm really happy that I have after our first stay. The staff is amazing, breakfast has a plentiful variety of choices, and they actually offer housekeeping without giving you a funny look. Moreover, they're conveniently located, making Breck, Keystone, A Basin, and Loveland within a few minutes drive.

Great hotel in a beautiful location, directly across from Lake Dillon. Courteous staff, clean rooms, amenities and property, all at a very reasonable price. Onsite restaurant is very good and the free breakfast wasnt bad. Definitely our pick in the area, and will stay again.

This hotel is right on the lake. There is a perfect trail right by the hotel. I was traveling solo with my dog and we went for multiple walks. Grassy areas all around. The hotel was comfortable, clean and exactly what I needed.

We stopped in Dillon while on our way to Glenwood Springs and found this Best Western lodge to stay at. The main draw was the price point, but once we woke up and saw the amazing view of the Dillon reservoir we were happy with our choice. We checked in around 9:30pm and right off the bat we were impressed with how laid back and quiet this property was. The front desk clerk was really nice and chatted with us a bit before giving us directions to the room. The building we were in had ski closets on the main floor for each room, and each room had a private balcony. Our room was located at the end of a hall and was a really decent size for being just over $100 a night. We got two beds, a microwave and mini fridge, and a bathroom with a tub & shower. It was also really well temperature controlled as it was around 6 degrees outside and we woke up at one point to turn the thermostat down because we were too hot. The hotel also offers a free breakfast in the morning including cereals, toast, eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit, and more. I was really impressed with this property and now I know that if I ever want to up past the Eisenhower Tunnel again, I have a good option to stay in Dillon. It's also just across the street from a shopping center with a grocery store and food options, and maybe a couple miles from the Silverthorne Outlets.

Completely blew our expectations out of the park. Location is amazing. Everything right there. The restaurant and pub are amazing. A must go. Can't wait to go back and be able to catch a show at the amphitheater next door. If you're ever in Dillon, Silverthorne, Keystone or Breckinridge, do yourself a favor and stay here.

Great staff, very clean room and facilities, extensive breakfast selection. Couldn't ask for more. The staff seem to be highly committed to the motel and are pleased with the way they are treated. There is a restaurant right next door that is open extensive hours and where you can have a meal or grab a beer throughout the day. The views from our room were fantastic.

Our room was clean and smelled wonderful! The beds were comfortable. The ceiling fan did not work, so the room was hot. Before our visit, Wes was unprofessional and disrespectful when I asked about the room cleanliness. He told me if I was worried about clean rooms, I should stay somewhere else. He refused to give me the manager's name. During our stay, other employees were WONDERFUL!!! Because of how Wes treated me, I would not return to this hotel.

The staff members ensure that your stay goes smoothly, and work hard to satisfy all guests. We feel more like friends visiting friends, then travelers. Surrounded by mountains and vast trails and adventures, your time will go by quickly.

The motel was very clean, A great view and a wonderful hot breakfast. The staff kept the breakfast very well filled and it was a very clean atmosphere. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

My family of four stayed at the Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge last week. We enjoyed the convenience of a fabulous breakfast served daily - much better than any other continental style breakfast we've had. The large hot tub/sauna room was an unexpected bonus that our whole family enjoyed. We extended our stay by one night the day of and it was no issue for the front desk staff to accommodate us. The location is unmatched. We walked down to the lake daily and enjoyed the playground at the marina across the street. Will stay here again if ever in Dillon.

We love the Ptarmigan! The location is perfect right on Lake Dillon, the staff is always very welcoming and the value is incredible. I don't know of another hotel in Summit County as affordable, not to mention it is directly on the lake with the incredible views and within walking distance of downtown Dillon! It is our go-to hotel for a quick weekend getaway from Denver.

Gal pal trip to high country from Virginia. It was absolutely amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay here! The room was perfect for us gals. The daily breakfast was always hot and tended VERY WELL!! Housekeeping was fantastic. Fresh towels, fresh sheets, fluffy pillows!!! You cannot beat the view or location. Ptarmigan Lodge is older, but it's so well maintained! Building 1 & 2 have some views of Lake Dillon. We loved the convenience of being next to the trail system. Breakfast was great with hot options and well stocked. Granola bars to grab in the afternoons. The grounds were beautiful with lots of flowers. No AC but newer windows that open kept us cool for sleeping. Rag even provided for clean-ups.

Very nice place, clean and comfortable, decent breakfast. Beautiful location with great views. A restaurant 50 yards away. Staff in the lobby was very helpful and nice. Minor negatives: The hotel consists of 4 buildings, lobby and breakfast room are in the bldg.1, hot tub and sauna (wonderful!) are in the bldg.2, we stayed in bldg.4, approx. 300 yards from bldg.1. It would be very inconvenient in a bad or cold weather. The room had no AC, only a ceiling fan. Again, not a problem at the end of September. Buildings are two levels with some stairs and no elevator. Definitely would stay again.

Area is absolutely beautiful, the facilities are dated, & bathrooms need to be updated, especially the low, low toilet & bathroom vanity… Breakfast was very good & convenient… Adjacent to the hotel, there is a great restaurant, & close by there were other cafes…

Wonderful hotel right next to the reservoir with some great amenities including a sauna, hot tub and guest laundry. Only concern is that there is no air conditioning. The breakfast was very satisfying and the staff was stellar!

Our previous stay here was not a good experience but this one was quite different. Main difference was that we had an upstairs room (bldg. #3) so there was a balcony and a lot more light,as well as the Wifi working this time. Comfortable beds, no issues. Breakfast had a variety of choices, but the scrambled eggs were disgusting and the bacon was barely cooked. Bagels, yogurt, fruit, and more were more appealing.

Was in a room upstairs with a balcony, which was a wonderful place to unwind. We were surrounded by trees, and could see wild life around the facility. Room was very clean and roomy. They have a steam room, and Jacuzzi. Close to the lake, and nothing is far away from the location. Plenty of free parking. Breakfast was very good, and well attended to, good selections available.

No air conditioning. Loud concert going on in amphitheater right across from hotel. Could not open windows due to after concert noise. Older hotel that has been updated. On the bottom floor could hear walking above us. Not worth over $200 we spent for one night.

We highly recommend this little lodge. We came to Dillon, CO for a wedding and stayed at this unique lodge for 2 nights. We had a nice, clean, comfortable, quiet room and all the amenities you would normally find at a hotel were available. It was a little odd that it lacked the usual heating/ac/fan-only unit found in bigger hotels, but given that it's a smaller lodge in the mountains, where a/c is usually not needed, we didn't find this to be a problem. The room had a ceiling fan for cool air circulation, and it was an unusual treat to find we could open our 2 windows to let in fresh mountain air (we were on the top floor of a 3-floor lodge). Another nice and unexpected treat was a private balcony with 2 chairs, a little table, and a door which you could leave open, again for fresh air. Finally, if you go during ski season, another added bonus would be the ski lockers in your building where you can lock up for ski gear and not have to take that to your room or leave on your vehicle. Very cool! If we're ever back in this area of Dillon, CO, we would stay here again. We think you'll be delighted too.

Lovely location, the picturesque Dillon lake was within easy walking distance and it is near enough to Silverthorn if you wanted to shop at the towns outlets. Brackenridge is also nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The complimentary hot breakfast good. All in all a good place to stay, good value for your money.

This is a cute little motel and our room over looked Lake Dillon. Walking distance to several nice restaurants and free hot breakfast. It was a warm night and the hotel does not have A/C but do provide a box fan. It is also pet friendly.

We keep going back and every time we are impressed by this hotel. It is a modest, super clean, extremely well ran hotel perfectly located on Lake Dillon. The location could not be better, with the amphitheater across the street, the lake less than 100 yards, and with many restaurant options. The rooms and beds are very comfortable, even offering a safe (hotels don't do that anymore) the wi-fi was excellent. They offer a full breakfast. The property is super clean and there are flowers all around the property. They accept dogs. And the staff is professional and very friendly. Love love this hotel..

Great hotel with friendly staff, well stocked breakfast variety, great views, location to marina and amphitheater are second to none. Situated close to two restaurants, Arapaho Cafe and Pug Ryans, which both serve good food.

Well-maintained rooms and grounds. The owners are continually making enhancements. Great location right off the rec path. This is our go-to place to stay. Clean, comfortable rooms and walking distance to brewery and restaurants.

As I type, it's over 80 degrees F outside, and this hotel has no A/C. Also, I'm using my cell data because the Wifi isn't working. The horrible temperature is the reason for my low rating. The place is old, but clean. The bed is not uncomfortable. The one staff member I met was intrusive but friendly. The property smells of cannabis. I really don't understand all the high ratings.

Anna and the entire staff we encountered went out of their way to make our stay a positive experience. The room was comfortable, the food at breakfast declicious and of course, the scenery is beautiful Colorado!

This is a well maintained older property. Ask for courtyard or Lake Dillon views. Take the breakfast out onto the picnic tables overlooking Lake Dillon. Great location. Right on the bike path and park. Has lockers for skis.

This was our first visit to this Best Western. It's a little bit older than other area hotels, but the price was very competitive. You can't beat the location, as it is practically right on the lake and bike path, etc. One of the drawbacks from being older, is that it didn't have an elevator or USB ports. It didn't have too many (accessible) electrical outlets, either. The actual bathroom (tub and toilet) was very small. It was also pet-friendly, which we did not appreciate (evidently overlooked it when booking). There are a couple of good restaurants nearby. Overall, we had a good stay (2 nights). It was quiet, very clean, and very reasonable.

For being a basic hotel, this one is great! Breakfast was basic, but nicely varied with many thoughtful extra touches. The location is wonderful with the marina and many restaurants just a short walk away. Beds perfectly comfortable and the rooms were very clean. (We booked two.) We enjoyed the spa pool, too. Would recommend!

this is where i always stay when i go to summit county. dog friendly and comfy rooms. Great location with lake Dillon right out your door. breakfast is fresh with plenty of options. & as long as the lobby is open there is coffee and granola bars to grab

The room was clean and the breakfast was good! The lighting outside at night was a little questionable, though. The hot tub was also in a different building, amd the rooms were motel style. Easy to get to and a pretty view. Close to local food/shopping.

I stayed here in May, one of the slowest months of the year in this area. While the room was clean and the beds were comfortable, I could not believe how noisy it was. I was in Building 4 at the top of the stairs, I could hear people's voices in the hallway, and the worst was how the front door of the building slammed every time someone came in or left. I can't imagine how bad it would be during the busy season. In addition, it doesn't look like i has any a/c so I imagine it would get quite hot during the summer. I actually had to open the windows to get it to cool down enough so that I could sleep. I wouldn't stay here again. When I'm on vacation, having a quiet room to sleep is of utmost importance.

Older facility but very nicely equipped. Office and a couple rooms face the lake. Rooms are large with everything you'd need. Friendly helpful staff. Comfy bed. Great housekeepers. Great breakfast including boiled eggs, powdered scrambled eggs and bacon. Lots of other choices too. The young man in charge of the breakfast did a super job keeping everything stocked and clean. Good restaurant on the B/W parking lot.

Old fashion hotel with ski lockers and some with balconies. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Great location- close to ski resorts, restaurants and shopping. Can walk to Arapahoe Cafe! Rooms have a frig and microwave. You won't be disappointed!

Nice room with a view of Lake Dillon. Comfortable bed. Stayed in building #1 so close to lobby and breakfast area. Great continental breakfast included in room rate. Easy walking distance to 2 local quality restaurants. Great place to stay for a skiing get away.

Breakfast buffet was great. There was a lot of food too. View was amazing. Price was very affordable. Hot tub was clean and hot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Perfectly located. BBQ restaraunt in parking lot has great food also. And very good prices. Especially on the beer and appetizers during happy hour.

From the scenic views of the lake and the mountains to the pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly staff - we couldn't have asked for more! A favorite of our group was the breakfast! We felt spoiled with the options. We were able to take many scenic walks without driving anywhere. Close to everything in both directions. Honestly, we had a fabulous stay. The Best Western Ptarmigan in Dillon, Colorado, is the best kept hotel secret in Colorado. Excellent rooms, breakfast, internet, service and location, it is the perfect spot for a solo escape or a family vacation.

Selected this hotel after going through various hotel reviews for the area and was very happy with the choice. We planned to ski 2 days at Copper Mountain but the hotel by the ski area were too expensive. First off I have to comment that this hotel is very convenient for several ski areas - Copper, Arapahoe, Keystone, Breckenridge (all within a short drive) and even Vail is only 30 minutes away. The outside of the hotel looks a bit dated but the rooms are not - they are clean, warm and with comfortable beds. Parking was plentiful and the walkways and driveways were cleared (of snow) before 7.00am.The breakfast area was crowded at 7.00am but that was likely just the ski/boarder crowd heading out early. The breakfast itself was good with a couple of hot dishes, plenty of coffee, and toast, muffins,and pastries available. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance (that we tried - may be more) - Arapahoe Cafe & Pub (which is pretty much in a corner of the hotel parking lot), and Pug Ryan's Brewery.

We've stayed here several times in the past and never been disappointed. They do everything very well here. All staff are competent and friendly. Breakfast is very good and staff are very attentive to keeping food items stocked. For other meals, the Arapahoe Cafe and Pub next door is fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Great location for access to ski, lake and fishing. The Arapaho Cafe/Pub is right next door with great food and drinks and other places within walking distance! The breakfast was well done and serviced constantly when low! Plus they have to go boxes! Maid service was the best we have seen anywhere!

Great location, fantastic service and good food. I'm coming to this hotel every year for the last 7 years, spending between 5 to 7 weeks when I ski in keystone. After skiing often I take a walk around the lake, and enjoy good meal in local restaurants.

I had low expectations because this hotel is one of the cheaper options in the area that allows pets. I was pleasantly surprised! The room itself is not very updated, but it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was a mini fridge and microwave in our room. We had views of the lake, and there were great walking trails steps away from our door. Our check-in process was smooth - we got into our room early and the staff were very kind and helpful. We were impressed with the breakfast options - there was something for everyone and plenty of healthy choices. Overall, would definitely stay here again and would recommend to families, people traveling with pets, and anyone looking for a clean place to sleep in a great location.

Good breakfast to start the day. Rooms were nice and clean. Restaurant across the parking lot was great, superb trout and soup/salad. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, even helped me retrieve left-behind item.

We stayed at the Best Western Ptarmigan for near a week and it was a perfect base. It's close to 3 nordic ski areas, Keystone, Frisco and Breckenridge [we tried Keystone and Frisco, each twice, and both were outstanding]. There are inside things to do/see [e.g. museums] nearby in Breckenridge and Frisco when the weather doesn't cooperate, and Dillon/Silverthorne has a wide assortment of restaurants. The best one we found though was right next to Lodge, the Arapahoe Cafe. The lodge staff are very helpful and breakfast [a buffet] was fine. We hope to return.

We had a great 6 night stay on our ski trip. Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge is a 2 minute walk to the Summit Stage bus stop. The stage will take you to Keystone, Breckenridge, Dillom, Silverthorn, and a few more paces.

What a wonderful place in this busy city. Great location, a short drive away from stores and restaurants. We had one of the renovated rooms with a kitchen. It was very clean! It did not have AC and it was hot when we were there. Front desk provided us with a fan and that helped a lot. A short walk to beautiful Lake Dillon. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. I would definitely stay here again.

All the staff at Ptarmigan Lodge are super courteous and do everything to make our stay the best experience every time. We stay may be 40 days a year and love the location on Dillon Lake, the facilities and warm friendly greetings every week. Hot tub is great, internet is reliable. Paths and parking lot always kept clear of snow. Ands rooms are sanitized. Great hotel, Great Value, Great experience.

Room was awesome but breakfast was even more awesome!!! They had almost everything for breakfast!!!! Bacon, eggs, bagels, cream cheese, danishes, cranberry juice, clementine, bananas, apples and more!

Amazing hotel to stay at especially if you're riding at Copper Mountain because there's a great sauna and big hot tub! A nice big kitchenette room to be able to make food in. Right next to beautiful lake to catch a sunrise at!

We stayed for one night while visiting family in town. It's a good location for the summer -- directly across the street from the amphitheater, so that's something to keep in mind. The place is kind of dated, but the price is good. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Our biggest problem was that the key (which opens both the outside door and the room) did not work!! We had to go back to the office three times (while there was ice and snow) to report this.

Picked this hotel since it was close to the ski areas that were available on the Epic pass. Also, compared to hotels in Vail, this hotel was a great deal and only a 30 min drive or so to Vail. Like others have said, our room was very warm and the thermostat did not really do much to cool the room when we lowered the temperature, so we just opened two windows to cool the room down. Breakfast was ok, but the area for Breakfast is very small, so many people were taking there stuff to go. They also ran out of some items and had to wait for the host or hostess to bring out more. They had lockers for our skis that were free to use, so that was a plus. Would I stay here again? Not sure. Maybe next time I would spend a few dollars more to get a place that would be more modern.

This was the most expensive and lowest quality hotel in our 20 day trip. It was poorly maintained with outdated TV. Could not control temperature in room. Front desk said “open window” when we called about 80 degree room temp (30 degrees outside).

We always choose this hotel when staying in Dillon. Allows us the ability to ski several resorts from a central location. Great staff and quality rooms. May not be the fanciest place but always clean and friendly for skiers.

This is a really nice hotel. Very quaint, clean, and comfortable. Staff very friendly, and breakfast was good. I have no complaints at all and would definitely stay there again. The room was cozy and the lodge had a great vibe!

My daughter and I stayed here for our early season ski trip. It's location is perfect as it is within 15 to 30 minutes of many ski areas. There are many restaurants and stores within a few minutes drive. The hot tub is huge and it was a must for us after a day of skiing. Of course, the free breakfast is fantastic. Finally, the room is clean, shower is hot with enough water pressure, and the bed is comfortable. It is the best deal in Dillon.

Room was clean and spacious. We had 2 queen beds. Included a frig and microwave. Breakfast was included but only had coffee. great location- close to restaurants and skiing. A great value. Already booked our next stay. A hidden gem.

Great place to visit. Came for Arapahoe basin. Easy drive to the mountain. Very convenient. Felt safe. Staff was friendly. I came alone, so I would highly recommend this for family get aways. I wouldn't bring a significant other unless you are romantically invested. Easy walk to the lake. View is amazing.

We have been retreating to Ptarmigan for many years... I've lost count! These are good people providing a predictably quality experience. The view of Lake Dillon with the Ten Mile Range as a backdrop is incomparable. Comfortable rooms, great staff, good breakfast. You know they are good people..No Turnover!

This was our first trip to the Lake Dillon area, and we read many reviews. The BW Ptarmigan was clean and had everything we needed at a reasonable price for our family of four. Front desk staff was courteous and breakfast exceeded expectations. Only downside were the pillows and older decor, but we weren't in our room much - we were enjoying the beautiful outdoors of the area. Great value for the price.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It is conveniently located to Breckenridge, Vail, Keystone, A Basin and Silverthorne. The staff was friendly and personable. The room was clean and quiet . Walking distance to a brewpub and restaurants.

We have been coming to the Ptarmigan Inn for a fall girls' trip for 18 years. The location is fabulous and the staff is so friendly. Everything spotless. There are so many choices for breakfast. At night it is nice and quiet.

Although I had noticed the Ptarmigan Lodge on previous visits to Lake Dillon, this was my first experience staying. Although this property is older, it is well maintained. The view of the mountains and the lake was spectacular. I will stay here again on future trips to Dillon.

This Lodge is right across from Lake Dillon and SMACK DAB in the middle of SUCH fun places; Frisco, Silverthorne, Vail etc is all right there. CLean, Comfy, Really good "continental" breakfast that is WAY better than usual. The Balcony rooms are super for coffee and goodies on a crisp clear morning. Will definitely be back. REALLY nice staff too!

Well-maintained family-run hotel. Great housekeeping and front desk staff. We always enjoy our stay here. The location is perfect: walking distance to restaurants and right across the street from the Lake Dillon RecPath.

The Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge was an excellent place to stay in Dillon, CO. I originally was going to stay in Breckenridge but found the Best Western in Dillon for less money. I went to Dillon to hike in the mountains, and this was a perfect place to basecamp! Wonderful hikes were very close by. There is a very good restaurant right next door. The lodge is right on the lake with views of the mountains. There is also a bike/walking path going around the lake! This is a also a much quieter town than Breckenridge, So Glad I stayed here!!!! Already planning a return visit!!!

Great property and scenic as well. The rooms are nice and the staff is wonderful. I always stay here while in Colorado even for a short visit. It's no wonder they are so busy. Plan ahead! There is a lot to do in the area!

Lovely location right on Lake Dillon. Although the buildings and rooms are a bit dated, it only adds to the charm of a Lake Lodge. Staff was friendly and professional. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and although there's no A/C, open windows and ceiling fans did the trick. My only complaint, because of open windows, was the noise from nearby rooms and decks, but most people were courteous.

The hotel has a great location right by Dillon reservoir, the staff is very friendly and sedulous. The hotel is very clean and they have a nice breakfast with fresh eggs and bacon also the landscape around the hotel is beautiful.

Good value, beautiful location. Rooms were clean with nice amenities Great TV and it was easy to operate. Right on the lake, with picnic tables so you could eat and view the lake. Bike and walking paths across the street. Restaurants near by.

We have stayed at this hotel a few other times with no issues but always in the front (office) building. This time we were put in Bldg #4 and it was a tremendous difference. First of all, it was a struggle to get the door lock to work – every single time! The room was DARK and depressing, even with all the lights on and the curtains opened as much as possible. There was no heat (assume the system hadn't been turned on for the season even tho it was only 35 this am!) The TV and wifi connections were the worst we have ever experienced at any hotel much less a Best Western. Even the TV shows were interrupted with “no signal” for minutes at a time - repeatedly. Forget trying to load photos (such as on Facebook) on our phones! Perhaps Bldg #4 is too far away from the source but then they should correct that problem. Beds and pillows were not all that comfortable and I hardly slept at all on either of my two nights. The location is the thing this hotel has going for it. And it was clean. Otherwise it is old and badly in need of renovations. Even with past successes at this hotel, we will not be returning.

We liked the location on Lake Dillon and saw the SUPERB ratings. Who could ask for more as we love the trail to bike around the lake. Mark my words, this place is dated, has dirty carpets and needs a MAJOR facelift. I am truly disappointed. Don't even know how sleeping will be as we back up to a pretty busy road. The front desk person was lovely, but I just can't get over the room quality so I had to post this review. Good luck to all.

We have stayed at this hotel previously and it is a terrific value; lake views, pet friendly, across the street from the lake, the amphyitheater and the bike path plus there are 2 great restaurants across the street and we had free breakfast w/ great options.

We had a harrowing trip to get here late in the evening in a pouring thunderstorm and were lucky the Interstate was closed just after our exit to get here. This property is so charming! I just loved our room the minute we stepped into it. Our own comfy little home for a rainy night. We borrowed a portable fan from the front desk but ended up not needing it. The beds were very comfy. I laid down for a minute to recuperate from the drive and almost fell asleep. I only wish we had of had more than one night here to enjoy the room and the area. Next day, the Interstate had opened back up, but there was a big mudslide about a week or two later that caused people to spend the night in one of the tunnels or in their cars. Glad we didn't get caught up in that. We will DEFINITELY be back to this property and to check out Dillon more in-depth. The Arapahoe Cafe just a short walk across the parking lot made for a very convenient and pleasant outdoor breakfast before check-out.

I have stayed here many time over the years and have always had a pleasant stay. It is centrally located to many things to do winter and summer. I may have submitted another review stating "terrible" that was a mistake on my part. Things were "EXCELLENT".

This property is right on Dillon Reservoir and has the best views in Summit County in all 4 seasons. It's so convenient to all ski areas including Copper Mountain but we love this area most in the summer

Excellent location! Lake Dillion is just across the street. Nice walking trail along the lake. Walking distance to several restaurants and the Dillion Marina. There's a concert venue across the street as well .The Hotel is an older well maintained property.

We stayed here for one night on a longer road trip and I wish we were staying in Dillon longer. This hotel is just across the road from Dillon Lake and the walking path around it. There is also a good cafe in the parking lot for dinner. Check in went smoothly and front desk staff were nice. We were in one of the buildings further back, but we actually had a view of the mountain tops from our window. The buildings are definitely older and dated - the stairwell was very narrow and hallways a bit dark. But otherwise, everything was great. No AC, but we knew this going in, and even in July, we did not need it. Temps were mild. I also couldn't get over the price. I think the base rate (Pre tax) was about 118 for the night we stayed. I can never find any hotel room for that cheap anywhere, and this was a prime location! Parking is convenient right in front of your building. There is also laundry and walking paths throughout the property. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our time in Dillon and the hotel was great. Nice breakfast, good choices, loved our balcony and room. We had dinner at the Araphahoe Cafe which was delicious and right next door to the hotel.

This property is situated so that you can enjoy the area with ease - right off the trail around the lake, across the street from the amphitheater and next to the great Arapahoe Cafe and Pub which we would highly recommend. Although the property is older is very well kept and clean. We enjoyed sitting out on the picnic tables enjoying the beauty of the lake when not on the go. Breakfast choices were great and the staff very helpful. We were aware up front that there is no AC but also know it is quite common for the area. Our stay was warmer than usual so we packed a small fan in anticipation. In spite of that I would stay again for all the other positive aspects of the property.

If you're looking for a decent hotel at a good price, this is the place for you. It's a basic hotel with average beds and bathrooms. What sets this hotel apart is the location right on Lake Dillon. The price is reasonable. We got rooms during spring break for $143 a night. Grocery stores and restaurants are minutes away. Breckinridge and Frisco are just down the hill about 10 minutes away.

Our family “took over” Ptarmigan Lodge for our 4th of July getaway, our first large family gathering in 18+ months post-Covid. There were 15 of us spread out over 5 rooms and we all had a great experience! We were walking distance to everything- the marina, the park, the lake for fishing, and great restaurants! The hot tub is HUGE and perfect for a large group! The rooms were spacious and comfy and, my favorite part of all hotel stays, the bathroom was GREAT! Huge shower head and hot hot hot water. The breakfast was perfect for babies, kids, and adults.

BW Ptarmigan lodge is conveniently located right on Lake Dillon Reservoir in Dillon, CO. Excellent hiking and water sports within walking distance, and a lovely view of the lake right from the property. Lots of activities, restaurants and shopping close by, and a music venue for seasonal concerts right across the street! If you want a more remote experience, back country hiking, fishing and camping are just minutes away. Everything you hope for in Colorado is right in the back yard! Perfect location for convenient access to skiing at some of America's premier ski resorts, and all at an affordable price. Daily breakfast serves a hot breakfast for dine in or healthy options for take out on your day's adventure. Property has an indoor swimming pool and hot tub.

The best hotel in the area with very good breakfast, nice people working there and close to Lake Dillon and bike trails. It was my last night while coming home from the trip. Healthy breakfast was a nice surprise comparing to other hotels.

The hotel is across the street from the main beaches of Dillon Reservoir. They have rooms that are pet friendly so it's super convenient to go for walks with your dog. The rooms are fairly typical of a Best Western. My room was a bit cramped. The main thing to consider is the weather during your stay. While typically people in the area do not need AC, you should consider how cool the room needs to be for you to sleep. During my stay, the highs were in the mid 80s. The room didn't cool to below 75 until morning. You have one ceiling fan and windows to cool the room. Also, keep this in mind if you have a dog along. Their pet policy requires your pet to be with you and stay off furniture.

This hotel is right on the gorgeous Dillon Reservoir. There are 3 different buildings. If you were there for skiing, they have nice ski lockers on the bottom floor of building 3. The shower was great, but the bed was a little spongy.

All we can say is wow! To begin with we came to Dillion to attend a wedding. We asked if the hotel could arrange an early check in. We were in our room by noon! The first thing I noticed was how clean the room was. Looking out the window I wasn't sure it had glass, it was that clean. Even the towel bar in the bathroom shined. As for amenities, there was a small porch with a couple chairs, a refrigerator, a microwave, a flat screen TV, extra pillows, extra towels, and a ceiling fan (no air conditioner but you are in the mountains. and the windows open, so who needs air conditioning). Check in and checkout were as smooth as silk and the front desk personnel were both professional and personable. Breakfast was also exceptional, as good as I have had while eating in a Marriott Concierge area. I have stayed in hotels across the country in excess of 750 nights. I rarely, if ever write a review, but this place was available at a very reasonable price, and is steps from Lake Dillion. It's an older property, and may not have had significant renovations recently, but they are not needed.

Pros: great location, beautiful views, up to date (for the most part) rooms, clean, safe, very pet friendly, good coffee, great parking, huge hot tub. Cons: No AC in this century, I didn't even know that was a thing. If it is late June- end of August do NOT book this hotel, you will be miserable. Last night the low was 55 and we sweated all night in the room even though we got the fan they offered. If they put in AC I would definitely rate this place as a 5 star. Breakfast was nothing special.

We stayed for one long miserable hot night and couldn't take it so we left. This hotel is right on beautiful Dillion Lake. It is old and not handicap friendly. The rooms are very clean and bed comfortable but this in no way makes up for it's other shortcomings. They do not tell you there is no air. There is a window to open but it faces the main walkway so we had people walking past our room constantly, talking loudly and peeking in. No ceiling fans. It was miserable. The toilet was not handicapped height, no grab bars in shower. If you are looking for a good rate, clean room and comfy bed, I recommend it but be warned about the other issues.

My wife and I love the Ptarmigan. Its right on the lake and being downtown Dillon, it is close to everything! The property is beautiful, the rooms always clean and comfortable and the staff always friendly. We stay here several times every summer to enjoy the lake and escape the Denver heat. We love it here!

Gem of an old school motel that sits adjacent to Lake Dillon with views of snow capped peaks. Just a few steps away from a quaint log cabin cafe with excellent food and service. Near Breckinridge and Vail.

Best location to stay in Dillon, we travel with a dog and couldn't find a better place that takes care of our dog as much as us. The best breakfast in a Dillon hotel. (and it's free!). This Hotel is next to the Dillon Amphitheater. Just walk across the street!

Beautiful premises, super clean, excellent customer service and the lake view from any of the hotel rooms it's unbeatable. Their breakfast was exceptional, with fresh juice, fruits, egg, bacon, etc. and they even had late check out available. Was by far the best location of Best Western I had stayed across US.

We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room, the large shared hot tub, and especially the wide range of breakfast offerings. The staff was very courteous, cheerful, and helpful. Check in and check out were a breeze.

This hotel is actually a series of buildings that are all a quick walk to Lake Dillon, but not right on the lake as it appears on the map. It's also an easy walk to restaurants, which was nice. The hotel is dated, and we had to open a window for air. Everything was clean and comfortable, though. The breakfast was above our expectations. Be aware that this is at a very high altitude.

The staff were very rude and unprofessional. They were dishonest about being booked up. They also would not help us when were locked out of our room. I would never go to this hotel ever again. There are much better hotels in the area. I would recommend looking elsewhere

2nd visit in 2 years. Love the location, the view, the breakfast. Great staff! Really missed the hot tub this time but we understand the reason closed. We skied 4 mountains so this location is unbelievably convenient. Will hopefully be back in June!

Front desk person very unfriendly & refused to provide an extra blanket for our son. Carpets desperately need replaced & building really needs to be upgraded. The pictures on internet are very deceiving.

Nice place to stay, not real fancy but clean and good location. Good value with good restaurant close by. Breakfast was good for takeout. Staff was friendly except for arrival at night. Rude request for mask a simple offer of paper mask would made a nicer welcome. After 10 hour travel with last hour in snow had to go back to car for mask. I will definitely go back again next time I am in area any season. All staff were nice after check in.

Both front desk staff I spoke with were polite and very helpful, explained everything I needed to know very easily. The hotel is horribly outdated, feels like old Vegas, zero thermostat control, overpriced

Stayed in a unit with a kitchenette for our Summit Cty ski week. Very clean units, comfortable beds and convenient grab and go breakfasts with lots of options. Close to everything in Dillon. We had a wonderful stay.

Overall the facility was good, exterior could be better but it was ok, nothing fancy. Room was good, thermostat did not work too well but we got by. Having a ceiling fan in the room was really good to have, it helped with the issue with the poor functioning thermostat.

Great location with a view over looking Dillon Reservoir and the snow capped mountains in the foreground. Lobby and room were clean, staff was friend, the breakfast was a made to order grab and go sack. Plenty of shopping and food choice conveniently located within walking and a short drive. The nightly rate was very affordable.

This is my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at, you can't beat the location and I like how the rooms are separated into separate small buildings/ lodges. They have everything you need from a good breakfast, WiFi, spa and a welcoming team who make sure your stay is comfortable.

Yes, this review is a contrast to the others, but to each his own. I am staying here presently and dismayed at the very core. This is a self-serve HOSTEL, not a hotel, charging hotel prices without declaring the scale backs under the guise of COVID. This place reaks of penny-pinching in every way possible. Breakfast is all cheap package grub, no joke here. The items are likely the cheapest they could acquire in bulk. I wouldn't eat any of it. There is no daily cleaning as one would expect from a "hotel". Moreover, you don't even get a cleaning if you ask for it. You have to throw your own trash, clean your own bathroom, and make your own bed. If you want towels, toiletries, sheets - you have to go to the reception, stand in line and get it. This is NOT a hotel, it is a HOSTEL! They are using COVID as an excuse, but I don't buy it because it seems it is COVID-related only when it saves them money. The room is antique, literally speaking. The TV, microwave, thermostat, coffee machine - all seem as if they were never replaced since the 90s. No joke, if you don't believe me, find it out for yourself. Carpets are old and nasty. I am not sure what people were smoking when they called this place clean. I am not nit-picky, trust me, this place is just not par with expectations of a Best Western.

This is a clean, nicely priced, not fancy hotel with all the basics, nice 'grab and go' breakfast, close to wonderful restaurant and close to the shuttle bus stop, with super friendly staff. We'll be back.

This was our second time staying here for a ski trip on the Epic Pass. It's a convenient drive to Keystone, Breckinridge, Vail and Beaver Creek. It's also close to Copper Mtn. This place is comfortable, with nice views of Lake Dillon and an all around great value. We had a large quiet room. I was impressed with their breakfast offerings (due to COVID), far more than we've gotten at other places, and even included hard boiled eggs. You fill out a menu paper and they pack it for you to take back to your room. They seemed to be handling the whole COVID thing very well. It unfortunately means no room service (we didn't want it anyway) and no hot tub (missed that). We are looking forward to returning next week for another stay.

This is a nice hotel in a great location next to Dillon Reservoir. Nice rooms. Clean, well maintained bathrooms. The only complaint is that the beds need to be replaced. The mattresses are broken down with low spots and very little support. As a result, the sleep quality is extremely poor.

Having stayed here previously, the view was the best part this time. Unfortunately this stay we had excessive noise from stairwell stompers and other guests' children running around the hallways and stairwell area. Staff very friendly and attentive, no hot tub due to COVID. Breakfast items listed could have used more descriptions- burrito was merely mystery meat in a tortilla. Favorite room amenity- heated bathroom fan and room ceiling fan. Overall will stay again- better than most other hotels in this area for the price.

Great location. Awesome view. Right next to town center. In 10-25 minutes proximity to 5 different ski resorts and other places of attraction.. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Clean, good decorated rooms .

They do a great job here and hopefully they can open up the sauna soon! I always stay here when I'm not in my RV up in the mountains! They are very friendly and the location is awesome! Right next to beautiful Lake Dillion!

Snowboarding with friends before a big trip coming up in a few weeks wanting to get a couple of days in to get a feel for the resort we will be going to. Beautiful look out over lake Dillon made the scenery a sight to see while we were there.

The location and atmosphere at this lodge is absolutely wonderful this time of year. The snow, Christmas lights and friendly staff made our stay especially nice. Cozy rooms, great amenities, balconys with spectacular views and spacious bathrooms add to the whole package. Never a bad time here!

This lodge is pretty close to keystone resort and is the cutest place with nearby restaurants, bars, and most importantly (for us) dog-friendly. Parking is easy, and it has a nice view of Lake Dillon - it's also very close to the amphitheater if that suits you.

Right on the lake and the bike path around the lake! Close enough to Keystone Ski Resort and Arapaho Basin. We had dinner in Frisco and breakfast in Breckenridge. This is just the perfect area! Over 9,000 feet up in the snow-capped mountains of the Continental Divide!

Stopped here to spend the night on our way to Utah from Ohio. Check-in was easy. The room was a little dark but sufficient. We usually try to stay at Best Western or Holiday Inn Express when we travel the U.S. The to go breakfast was nice. Just go to the office and order what you want from what they offer. We paid $104.99. We knew this was a high rent area. We were tired from driving and just needed to find a place.

We were traveling cross country and enjoyed this overnight. I'm sure skiers enjoy this place. Ski lockers were the first thing we came to when entering the building door. Buildings are situated on the side of a mountain overlooking Dillon Reservoir so you awaken to a beautiful view of the lake with mountains in the background. Above average to-go breakfast arranged like room service. Pick items and quantities from a list and bring it to kitchen area to have order filled. Much better than having a bag full of items that don't fulfill you dietary needs. Good value since this was the off season.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were impressed with how clean and up-to-date everything was. We had an upstairs room with a balcony, which I would highly recommend. Our room had been had been updated nicely, with newer carpet, large flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and everything was spotless! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Overall, it was an excellent stay and I would stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

We stayed for one night in October 2020. Check-in was quick but we then had to drive to another building to get to our room. The building was a bit dated but nice enough and clean. The room was also a bit dated but just fine for what we needed. The area of Dillon/Silverthore is very nice with lots of stores, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The main hotel building overlooks a beautiful lake with mountains in the background. I was very impressed with the continental breakfast process. Because of covid, they have you circle all the things you want on a sheet of paper. Then their team builds a quick to-go bag with your breakfast!

We picked this hotel because of the location to the lake, it is right across the street. Check in was easy and fast. We did get a room with a kitchen so we were in building 2 which is the building that faces the lake. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. It was nice to open all the windows and let the air in. I would stay here again. They did not offer room cleaning due to covid but that was totally fine with us. They did offer breakfast, where you picked your items on paper and handed to them and they got what you asked for. We felt very safe here.

We stayed 3 nights. Upon arrival we were greeted by a exceptionally clean room! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spotless. All employees wore masks and were very concious of covid rules. We will stay here again if we are in the Dillon area.

The Best Western Ptarmigan is located very close to the Dillon reservoir in a beautiful setting. You can just walk out the door and stroll through the paths along the lake or sit in the park almost in front (although the show venue is current unused due to COVID it is also open for anyone to visit). Being in Dillon also allows quick access to other cities around that have many attractions such as Breckenridge, Frisco, etc... Even in summer there is a lot to do with so many parks and trails to explore. The room itself is good with a balcony with enough space. The only problem we had was with the shower that got 'stuck' in either hot or cold. One would have to move it all the way to hot to get it to warm up and then it would be too hot. The opposite happened if you tried to cool down the water: it would be unchanged until you got to totally cold water. It improved while we were there so we assumed the room has not been used much... The breakfast people need some medals: they were awesome implementing the new process.

This place didn't look like too much from the outside but it was great. The location was awesome. Gorgeous view of the lake and easy access to walking trail. Room was big with a desk and a table, which was nice. Bed was comfy.

Comfy and mediocre for price.. clean. King room in 4th building. Bed was a bit soft, decor was nice. Trip advisor info was wrong...No air conditioning, so had to use very loud box fan from the office they gave us and keep windows open. Would not be good if it was a hotter night.

A great location, plenty of parking, adjacent to Arapahoe Cafe with its excellent food, and so close to Lake Dillon bike/walk paths, amphitheater. Very clean, really comfy bed, and good job of keeping an older property updated.

The hotel sits right across the Dillon Lake so it was very convenient to take a leisure walk when you have time. Check-in and check-out process was very convenient and the staff were very friendly. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable with clean sheets. Plenty of towels for all. Complimentary toiletries are provided and our double-queen room also had a good size refrigerator, microwave and TV. There was a small appliance to heat up the coffee cup. Ice bucket is in the bathroom which you can use with the ice machine in the hallway. We loved that instead of giving us a pre-selected grab and go breakfast bag like other hotels, we were given a list of breakfast items we can choose from which we hand back to them and they put all these in the bag. Selections range from yogurt, fruit, boiled eggs, granola bar, cereal, muffins, milk, or juices etc. There is a restaurant in the adjacent lot called Arapahoe Cafe and Pub which serves good food with great ambiance. We would return to this hotel but the only deal breaker is that there is no airconditioning in the rooms. You either get a room with a ceiling fan or a box fan. The ceiling fan though is located on a corner of the room which is unusual and does not really help in my opinion to give you ventilation. They also advice that you can crack your window open to let the breeze in but it is a safety concern for us. Dillon gets chilly at night but still it became muggy that we woke up many times throughout the night. It made it an unpleasant experience. We missed the part about having no A/C when we booked and none of the reviews mentioned it. This is still a great hotel as long as be forewarned about having no A/C if that is important for you.

We had a very good stay here. Check in was very efficient. Room was nice and had a bit of a mountain view. We were missing some toiletries and they were replaced when we went to the lobby. The walls in Building 3 were fairly thin so you could hear your neighbors. It's an older property so not sure that can be fixed. The lodge was next door to the Arapahoe Restaurant and Pub so we ordered take-out and the food was very good. The "grab and go" breakfast had an substantial menu and filling our order was very efficient. We would stay here again.

We had a very good stay and the property has a great lakefront location. Rooms were very quiet (we faced the courtyard) and everything worked great. We will be returning! Thank you to the hotel for maintaining the safety requirements during these times!

This lodge was very comfortable, very quiet and staff was helpful. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the website and the info at the desk advertise a large spa hot tub. It was closed to anyone's use, while pools and spas at other hotels in the area were open. After a 12 mile ride around the reservoir, we really needed the spa. The breakfasts were okay considering the virus nonsense- it was provided in a to go bag. The restaurant next door was open for breakfast.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and check-in. The lodge has changed only slightly since our first stay here in 1983 when traveling through Colorado during an interstate move. We always said we would come back and we finally made it for an anniversary getaway. Love the setting on Lake Dillon and within walking distance of excellent restaurants. Our room in Building 4 was large with a comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the balcony with a small view of the lake between the trees - perfect place for coffee as the sun was rising. We will definitely be back...and we will not wait 37 years this time! :)

This was a very clean lodge near Lake Dillon. The building is a little old, but the inside is very nice and the staff were quite friendly and helpful. Even though the traditional breakfast is not served, they provided a very extensive list of breakfast items for takeout at no charge. Overall, a very good value!

We just returned from three nights at this sweet spot along Lake Dillon. During this difficult time of Covid we felt the managers/owners did a really great job of making us comfortable. They did not provide housekeeping during the stay but you could exchange towels, get more supplies, coffee, etc. Everything was very clean. Very comfortable beds, in fact I am going to contact them to find out what mattresses they use as we are about to buy a condo in Dillon. This is an "old-fashioned" motel, but the location can't be beat. Check out the incredibly authentic Mexican restaurant nearby.

Where else can you stay on a beautiful lake setting in the mountains for just a little over $100 a night .. outstanding value ! In addition it's family run and they're very covid conscious using masks, breakfast to go, and no daily housekeeping. They have a very nice garden area with lots of beautiful flowers and chipmunks. We stayed in building 4 with a balcony and nothing beat coming back after being gone all day to a nice glass of wine sitting on the balcony. Finally there's an adorable restaurant The Arapaho right on the premises with outstanding food and ambiance!

My wife and I stayed her for four nights at the end of July. Compared to other similar styles of hotel, we found the Ptarmigan Lodge to be an ideal option during COVID19. Although the hotel isn't offering a hot breakfast right now, the "to-go" option is great - particularly if you are planning on hiking. Granola bars, oatmeal, PB&Js, yogurt, muffins, coffee, juice, water, etc. are available. The location of the hotel also lends itself to enjoying the outdoors easily. Easy access to trailheads for Lily Pad Pond, Buffalo Peak, and Ptarmigan Peak; plus walking distance to several good restaurants and right on the lake. On this stay (our second) we booked a slightly more expensive room with a refrigerator. The room was in building four and had a very nice balcony on the second floor. Overall, I think these rooms are newer and nicer than those in the main building. The only downgrade I have for this room was the toilet and its VERY slow flush...we had to hold the handle down for a good 15 seconds to get the desired result. We are already looking at our next opportunity to stay at the lodge again later this summer or fall.

When we arrived they told us the pool & hot tub were closed which needs to be on the website, the staff was very friendly, this is a pet friendly resort so expect lots of barking in the am! There is no ac in the rooms which was fine just a little noisy with windows open. Our last 2 nights were beyond miserable with horrible neighbors, we called the office several times, then when we went to the office the lady just said oh & walked off in mid conversation! I was a paying customer so that was not how you handle it, when we ask to move they offered us a downgraded room, we had food to cook so we couldn't take the downgrade! We finally got some sleep on the last night but 2 days of slamming doors, arguing & more was miserable!

A very nice property in a good location. We enjoyed the lake view. While we did not need the A/C even in late July, we would have preferred better controls of the A/C. The rooms were good sized and very clean and very comfortable.

Beautiful location! The hotel is right on the lake and near the park. We had a great view of all this with the mountains in the background from our room. While the hotel is older, it is very well kept up and the beds were comfy. Caroline at the front desk was so friendly and helped us find places to see and a good restaurant. The breakfast choices were the best we've had on this trip and we stayed at 5 different hotels. They had lots of good choices (considering COVID) and happily bagged them up for us. Everything seemed very clean and masks were required (as they are all over Colorado right now). We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again!

This was obviously a different business that has been converted to a Best Western location spread out over several buildings. Not many have a view of the lake. We had a ground floor unit with a permanently-locked door in the middle to the outside. Be aware there are is no AC. The lake is within easy walking distance but we probably would have chosen another hotel for the night.

Once again, I stayed at the Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge in Dillon, Colorado. As usual, Caroline at the front desk was very helpful, friendly and interesting. The hotel looked charming with many beautiful flowers. The hotel is very convenient to paths for walking and bicycling. Great for dogs too! Weather in the 70s, cool at night. I'm sure I'll stay here many more times in the future.

I have stayed here many times in the past. It was nice to see that they were very busy. I just was not impressed this time with some of the facets of the place and felt they lacked the service they once had. Room was really quite nice, if a little dated.

Really liked this motel. Centrally located, older but kept up. Sack breakfast but that was okay. Bed was comfortable. Ceiling fan worked fir keeping room cool. No view of lake from building 4. I probably would stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights. We asked for a room with a view of the lake or mountains. The woman at the reservation desk said we had great views of the mountains, but upon checking into our room, the best view we had was of the parking lot and the intersection of the street. The mountains were visible, so very far away. The traffic was loud, and sitting on our small deck, we could only see cars, lots of cars. Very unhappy with this hotel and we will not stay there again. Also, we called prior to our visit to see if the hot tub was working, and they said yes, but when we checked in, the hot tub was closed.

We were in building 2, which has rooms with kitchenettes. Perfect for our cycling and kayaking vacation, and for social distancing. This property has an incredible location on the lake, and is clean and well-kept. The staff did a great job dealing with the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, and we really enjoyed our stay. I'm sure we'll be back.

I've stayed many times at this cozy hotel overlooking Lake Dillon and this time was just as comfortable and totally in compliance with current pandemic regulations. Great location and nice option of takeout breakfast!

This is a great choice for a hotel in Dillon. There isn't any air conditioning and for that reason I feel it's a bit overpriced for what you get. The staff stated that we were not allowed to have a microwave but I stayed at another best western in Denver that had a microwave. I'm assuming their reason was due to covid. They also would not heat up an English muffin apparently due to covid. The breakfast options were great though and I felt everyone took our safety seriously. The beds were comfortable and decor was nice.

The Ptarmigan Lodge is designed like a classic Colorado ski lodge. The hotel and its rooms are clean and spacious, with many, including ours, featuring a balcony with views of Dillon Lake. The front desk service was fast, friendly, and efficient despite the COVID-19 screens and other protective measures in effect. Masks are required to enter all businesses in Summit County, including this one.

Amazing view. Disappoint because they offered Healthcare employees discount, and it was precisely why I took vacation time choosing Best Western, but when we arrived, no discount. Please don't advertise it if you don't willing to apply it. And, no air conditioner. Please don't stay in Best Western in Summer, you will sweat a lot.

Nestled away, across from a beautiful lake is Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge. It's an older property that is well maintained with updated rooms. They are dog friendly and have a perfect dog walking path inside the hotel grounds. The beds are comfortable and they offer Direct TV. Right across the street there were people fishing at the lake and there's a really nice walking path along the lake. The office staff have always been very accommodating and sweet. Its close to skiing and golfing at Keystone too. You won't be disappointed ♥

We had two rooms for our group. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Location near Arapahoe cafe was great. Also could walk around Dillon lake and got to check out the ice castle. Breakfast was a little higher quality than similar hotels that I have stayed at. Bacon was especially tasty! Great value!

We had a wonderful stay...room wasn't too hot or too cold, just perfect. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good as well. We'll be back next year. We had a lovely view of the lake. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We stay at this hotel about 50-60 nights a year for snowboarding for the last three years. Great clean rooms and beds, Easy parking, Great complementary breakfast, internet and super big hot tub. Close to the slopes. All the staff make us feel so welcome. It's really our home from home.

We stay at hotels to sleep... there was ZERO ability to sleep with all of noise upstairs - banging suitcases or bags on stairs, slamming doors all night/morning. There was no attempt to discount our stay, so we cancelled the 2nd night.

We stayed here while we skied Copper and ABasin. View over Lake Dillon is fabulous. Breakfast was simple but did the job, hot tub was amazing location was great between the two mountains. Within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, we would recommend the Arapahoe Cafe which is almost in the parking lot to the Best Western, there is a red door on the side that goes down to the basement where they have daily homemade specials, get there before 6 or there will be a wait.

Comfortable and clean room with a good breakfast. A quick get away for President's day weekend. I booked the hotel the night before and this was the only hotel that did not double their price for this busy weekend. Such a plus that this property is pet friendly and a wonderful location. Looking forward to a Summer stay.

I was very pleased with this facility. All staff were welcoming, courteous, friendly and efficient in their efforts to help their guests feel comfortable. The facility is well maintained and clean. I felt very much at home in the comfort of the hotel. My expectations were exceeded during my stay.

As usual, we had a great stay. Anna and her team run a great lodge, clean, good breakfast, great jets in the hot tub. Good location for access to the slopes. Good facilities in the room. Easy to walk to local restaurants.

This hotel was wonderful! It's rare to find the hospitality that we received here during our stay. The breakfast even though we arrived 30 minutes before they closed breakfast was still hot and fresh and they were still bringing fresh food. I was shocked most places it's cold and left over if you come that late. Also the front desk was incredible and friendly. Would stay here again.

Hotel is a great location to ski areas with pet friendly perks. We stayed in the first building while the rest of our party was in Building 2 and 3. Rooms were very noisy including floor vent heating which made loud tapping noises all night.

Have stayed st the Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge many times over the last 25 years and have enjoyed every stay. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. A very good location about a 2 minute walk to the summit bus stop. 1 minute walk to the Arapahoe Cafe & Pub. And a short drive to several ski resorts, shops, and restaurants.

Close to everything. Rooms were very clean and roomy for 2. The internet worked very good, The hot tub was clean and hot after a day of skiing. The heat was working good and was easy to set. Quiet and good parking.

We visited this property on a weekend in January to see the Ice Castles. It is really convenient to downtown Dillon and you can walk anywhere from the property. It is an old time lodge style property with separate buildings. Each pod of buildings has lockers for ski equipment at the entrances. Directly in front of the property is Lake Dillon. It is difficult to imagine a better location if your purpose is anywhere near Dillon. However, in all honesty we found the rooms and the property to be really dated. The breakfast was served in a tiny room that was really uncomfortable and could not hold the number of guests. The breakfast itself was really basic as well. We found the beds to be uncomfortable and the pillows were strange tiny squares. For $200/night for a basic room it was definitely lacking overall.

It was a nice place, quite noisy early when skiers are leaving.. lots of banging from the lockers and doors. We stopped skiing a few years ago. We understand that this hotel has a lot of skiers. May not stay there during the winter.

One of the best values in Summit County and centrally located among the ski resorts. One of the very few hotels that I've been at that you can actually see/talk to the owners daily. Though an older hotel, the owners seem to take pride in the properties maintenance.

We had a great time discovering Dillon, Co. This Best Western is hidden off the highway and faces a beautiful lake. The room was clean and had a kitchenette, parking was accessible and safe. The morning breakfast was also clean and good. Brewpubs and restaurants, we tried a couple, are close and were good.

Great place to stay, very friendly and attending personnel. I have being staying at this place since 2006 for my ski vacation and they always provide superior service. They always willing to help with all possible needs and problems.

Another great stay at the lodge. The location is simply outstanding. Right by the lake. You can see the morning mists rising as you walk to breakfast. The food is good with plenty of variety. After skiing check out the large hot tub and especially the sauna, my favorite. It was a great value for the location and what amenities you get out of it.

We stay at best Western every chance we get when we are on the road, for the most part they are very accommodating. Good breakfast great staff and usually willing to help you in any way they can. We love our rewards program. Thank you

Amazing view - friendly staff- comfortable amenities that could use some updating. The walls are a bit too thin so you can hear you next door neighbor but put in ear plugs problem solved. The breakfast wasn't impressive but the price and location made up for this.

This is the second time I stayed here. First time a year ago for price and availability and this time because I had such a positive experience the first time. Wonderful location on Lake Dillion, maintenance of the property is Disney-like, squeaky clean everything, nice touches like accent walls white ceilings in rooms, solid surface vanity tops, window in shower, wonderful hot tub, attentive staff, and comfy seating in lobby. This property is so well cared for. So refreshing compared to interstate-side alternatives (and I normally seek out Hilton or Marriott). Skied at A-basin. Wonderful.

We have stayed here a few times. While the other times were issue free and enjoyable, we noticed a few new little touches that were great. The new pictures on the walls actually seemed to brighten the rooms a lot, which was a nice touch. The location is great with it being close to everything but out of the way of the main trafficked areas. It sits right next to the lake which provides awesome sunrises and sunsets. You can even walk down to the dock since it is so close. If you like to fish, there ARE trout in there and I caught a few just tossing a spinner around for a few minutes. The city/town has construction going on right there but it is such a low traffic area it doesn't hinder you at all. The hot tub is large and the area has always been clean when we used it. The staff, to include the room attendants, are always nice and polite. The breakfast is what you'd expect from a continental breakfast. Waffles, eggs, sausage, yadda yadda yadda... the ladies seem to always make sure there is enough items out and refill quickly. The only thing that I dislike is the amount of space in the breakfast area. It is small and can get crowded. If they spent the money to add an addition to that building to enlarge the seating area this would be, hands down, the best budget hotel I have ever stayed at. With the location, the cleanliness of the rooms and the service, it is already a huge step above 75% of the hotels I have stayed at across the US, to include those that cost twice or three times as much. Don't change too much, ptarmigan, you're doing all the right things for a hotel.

Our stay at Best Western's Ptarmigan Lodge was indeed memorable but not for any good reason. First the good news, the location is beautiful. Unfortunately, my good news stops there. We were traveling with our licensed therapy dog. Notwithstanding, as some hotels have issues with dogs, we book our rooms via the app Bring Fido. Bring Fido only list hotels and motels that are pet friendly. We booked, 100% prepaid and received a confirmation for, a pet friendly King Room at Best Western's Ptarmigan Lodge. At check-in the front desk representative, Patira, who has a soft, sing-song voice that betrays her aggression and anger, refused to honor our reservation. She repeatedly insisted that the manager, Caroline, tried to call me numerous times that day to explain that their only-friendly rooms are restricted to double bed rooms (I'm over 6'5”…a double bed is simply not a good choice). My response was to pull my phone from my pocket and show her that I had not received any such calls. Her response was an escalation in her anger and stubbornness. I asked her to honor my reservation as booked and as fully prepaid and confirmed. I even showed my dog's valid therapy license – nonetheless she refused again siting Caroline as the holder of all decisions in this matter. I asked if she could reach Caroline to help resolve our impasse. She flatly and angrily refused. It was late, I was tired and getting angry now too so I quickly signed-on to Bring Fido to book another room at another hotel and just call my prepayment as a lesson learned and sunk cost. Because it was late, no other rooms were available within a reasonable distance. I did stay and paid the price. As expected I did not fit in the tiny bed and awoke with significant back issues that lasted for days. I did make one last request to Patira; I asked her to ask Caroline to have Ptarmigan Lodge removed from Bring Fido as they are not a pet friendly location so other travelers do not have the issues we had. She angrily and resentfully barked that those decisions are made by Best Western and not the local franchise owner – so, call Best Western with your complaint! In summary, Best Western's Ptarmigan Lodge confirmed a room, took my money for that room, and did not honor the booking. Added, their pet policy is a highly restrictive limited to just a few rooms that are the least desirable, least comfortable, and least book rooms in the hotel (all confirmed by Patira at the front desk during check-in).

Great spot just across the road from the lake. This place may have some years behind it; however it is well-taken care of. Consisting of several buildings with nice grounds and a fantastic breakfast located in a relaxing area conducive to good conversation with windows looking out to the beautiful surrounding area. This place had friendly, helpful staff, clean/comfortable beds all at a fair price. We are looking forward to our next visit!!

We were right across the street from Lake Dillon. Older property in very good condition. It was a great value and pet friendly to boot! Breakfast was standard fare, but tasty. Proximity to Breckenridge and Keystone for hiking was great.

We stayed here out last night on the trip. Had we known how great it was we would have left the Westin Aspen sooner. Awesome continental breakfast, waffles, eggs, bacon, yogurts, fruit,anything you could think of was offered. The scenery out the front door was amazing of Dillon reservoir. Minimal dog fee , room was spotless, comfortable beds and pillows, I highly recommend!

This hotel is an older property, but it was well maintained. They have several buildings, and we were in an upstairs room close to the office. Our room was small and a little cramped. Our door opened onto a outside walkway that overlooked the parking lot. You could see the lake, but the room was not a lake view room. There was no elevator in our building. The bathroom was small, but there was lots of counter space. The best thing about the hotel was the location. It was far from traffic and the interstate, so it was quiet. They served a fairly nice breakfast including bacon on the day we were there. The breakfast room was tiny, and there were way too many people at breakfast. This hotel was probably built before hotels served breakfast, so they just created a little room for the purpose. The price was very reasonable.

I stay at this Motel any time I'm traveling between Utah and Denver. It's absolutely breath taking to look out at the mountains and the reservoir. It's a destination in and of itself. I've met people from all over the world at breakfast. After breakfast, as the reservoir is just across the street, it's a great opportunity to take a walk around to enjoy the beauty before continuing my long drive back to Utah.

Place was clean. Good service. Great continental breakfast. Location was ok, thanks to google maps. Friendly staff. Older place but very well maintained. Parking lot was just refinished. Quiet place. Only negative was separate building from office. Not a huge deal.

My family and I stayed here in early October. The accommodations looked the same, maybe even a bit better than what you see online. The hotel is not new, and this is most obvious with the carpet in the rooms. But you don't book this place to hang out in your room. The proximity to activities in Dillon, Silverthorne and Frisco is why you book this place. We biked around the lake in mid-afternoon and although a little chilly, if you have the right fall biking gear, you will be fine. The bike route is right across the street from the rooms. Breakfast included eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals and pastries. The breakfast room was a little crowded when we were there but you can take a plate to go. Staff on site were very friendly and helpful. Lots to do in the area. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Dillon. Only downside was the room didn't have a microwave and we actually needed one on this trip. We were able to use the one in the lobby. One last thing: this is a very pet-friendly hotel. They don't overcharge for a pet, and your pet will love the location. For non pet owners it's also good to know that they only allow pets in certain rooms so you could probably request a non pet room if you're sensitive to this. For pet owners, it's probably wise to indicate that you need a pet-friendly room when booking online and/or call the front desk to ensure your reservation is for a pet-friendly room.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge in Dillon for our 30 th anniversary get away. We read reviews for this lodge and the negative ones said there was no air conditioning and it was hot. We thought that since our trip was the end of September air conditioning will not matter. We were wrong. The room was HOT. The problem was not that there was no air conditioner but that the thermostat was set on 75 degrees and you couldn't change it. Way too hot for us anyway

Great hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast with many choices, comfortable beds, beautiful views. We always make reservations for the following year before we leave. We can't wait to get here every year and are sad when it's time to leave.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and are always well satisfied. It is located a few minutes from I-70 very near Dillon Lake. It is a very quiet location. Beds are very comfortable. The hotel has been around awhile but is very well maintained. Breakfast area can be crowded if the hotel is near full.

We discovered the Ptarmigan Lodge about 15 years ago and just love it! We try to stay at last a couple nights any time we are in the area and always ask for a room with a view of Lake Dillon. The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. The breakfast has a nice variety of good quality food and an employee is always making sure there is a supply of everything. The dark roast coffee is very good! You can walk to the restaurant next door to eat an evening meals. The only negative thing is the garbage truck they empties the bins outside the restaurant at 5:00 in the morning.

Room size is nice, comfortable beds and breakfast was very good. Only hic-up we had was the heat was not on in the building, but that was taken care of quickly. Would stay again. Check-in and out was a breeze and the ladies at the desk were friendly and helpful.

This property has an excellent location across the road from Lake Dillon. The facility is definitely older and the open closet, bathroom fixtures and permanently locked doors to the patio outside our room show that. There is NO air conditioning. It was CLEAN and met the basic needs. They do provide breakfast (juice, breads, bulk cereal, eggs and link sausage and waffles). This property is several separate buildings. There are no elevators to the 2nd floor rooms and the scope of the property makes it unfriendly for handicapped users. The front desk workers were friendly.

This hotel was very convenient to local restaurants, the highway, and shopping. It was right across the street from Lake Dillon with gorgeous views. The exterior looks a little dated, but is in good condition. The interior was just fine. Hot breakfast had very good selection. Only complaint is that the beds were so rock hard that I couldn't even sleep.

We only stayed one night to break a long drive. Check in was friendly and efficient, room a little dated, but comfortable and clean. The location is lovely with the option to walk around the lake, and good views. There's a restaurant more or less adjoining, but we found a brew pub a couple of minutes walk away (Pug Ryan's) which I would absolutely recommend for food and a drink. We'd have no hesitation in staying here again

Stayed three very enjoyable nights at the Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge. Everyone we encountered at this lodge (Front Desk, Cleaning staff, Others) were very friendly, helpful and professional. The location and scenery is beautiful (with lake and mountains) and the hotel grounds are kept up extremely well. The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The full breakfast was outstanding and the internet was always available and fast. Although we didn't use it the hot tub appeared to be well kept.The hotel was the perfect base for enjoying the Summit County Colorado area. There were good restaurants within walking distance. Overall a wonderful place and great value.

This is a lovely place to stay . It is very close to the reservoir and there is a dock you can fish off of.The views are stunning. My favorite thing was photographing the hummingbirds on the beautiful flowers on the porches.Unfortunately we got into some wild weather and that cut our fishing short. Love this place.

This was a great hotel for the money. The staff was exceptionally friendly, nice rooms, wonderful breakfast with views of Lake Dillon. Many very good restaurants are close by. I would highly recommend staying here.

Yes, it's a little dated, but very comfortable, a great location right on the lake, and a great value. Easy to find, with everything you need close by - including a great little cafe next door. Bike paths and walking paths everywhere.

This is just a great place to stay. Front desk personnel are really awesome and put in time to give you the best stay. The place is scenic and relaxing. You can take great walks through the area, bike or just visit the nearby towns of Frisco or Silverthorne. The budget mall is close by with some great stores and there are restaurants galore. Rooms are very nice, cozy and perfect for couples or staying by yourself. prices are reasonable and such a great ambience. Breakfast here is delicious!

My wife and I spent a night here over Labor Day. The hotel is located basically on the Lake, close to the Dillon Farmer's Market, Amphitheatre, and numerous restaurants. This is not an "upscale" property, more like a traditional motel. It is an excellent place from which to explore the area. The only downside was that the breakfast wasn't as good as some of the reviews had mentioned. Relatively small dining space (with some extra picnic tables outside) and limited food options. Mostly cereals, meat, and some fruit. We opted for the Arapahoe Café and were not disappointed. Overall, I would stay here again.

This was a terrible experience. There was no air conditioning in the room so you had to leave the ceiling fan on and the window open. Other guests would smoke marijuana outside the room and the smell would come in through the open window. Our room never got below 75 degrees at night which is not comfortable sleeping for me or my spouse. Terrible experience

The room was clean but for the price, I paid the rooms should have an air conditioner. I realize they are in the mountains (I live in the mountains), but it is August and it still gets hot and the air gets stale in the room. There was a fan in the room in the far corner so it did nothing for most of the room. The staff was friendly and although I was not impressed with the breakfast I must admit the bacon was cooked superbly. Burning up in the room and having to pay the same price or higher than other places that have AC, really makes it hard to say this place ie better than average.

Very comfy room with a great bed. No micro but a refer and coffee maker. Friendly, helpful staff and lots of trees on the property. Several buildings so more like a resort with paths and trees. There are ski lockers for each room at the entrance to each building. Only a couple of minutes walk to the lake and it was very quiet at night. Would definitely stay there again.

I cannot say enough good things about the BW Ptarmigan Lodge. The family running it are total professionals and yet so warm and friendly. The location is perfect right across from Lake Dillon. The rooms are good size and very well decorated. A very comfortable, relaxing time!

My wife and I stayed here on 8/14/19, having driven from Estes Park to Leadville to Dillon. The gal manning the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. She pointed out the computer which allowed me to print out our Boarding Passes for our flight from Denver to Orlando the next morning. Our room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable. All in all, a fine place to spend the night. In addition there was a restaurant abutting the property. We enjoyed our stay at the Ptarmigan Lodge.

Situated across from Dillon Lake, the location was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, bike paths, walking trails, and the marina. The staff was very accommodating and made sure my elderly father was well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again.

I am looking forward to returning to this hotel. I was in the front building overlooking the lake and it was beautiful. You are close to many amenities and have easy access to the highway. The breakfast had a nice selection and the front desk employees are full of great information and are very nice, There is not any air conditioning, but the hotel will provide you with a fan and the front windows slide open and have screens. I was there in August and was comfortable with the fan on and the windows open. The only reason that I gave the room 4 stars is because it is a pet friendly hotel and I was allergic to something in the hotel room.

In an upscale area, but tires were slashed and people were climbing into the balconies to access the rooms. No nighttime security to stop this happening. Rooms were nice and property was pretty. But it is not worth the risk for us to return. We will choose another option when visiting next time.

Very quiet, convenient, CLEAN room. Beautiful view of the lake. Comfy bed with luxury linens. So glad we made the choice to stay at the BW Ptarmigan. We walked to Pug Ryan's for dinner (very good, accommodating our vegan diets easily). There are several other restaurants within walking distance, as well as a beautiful multi-use trail.

This is an older hotel but the facilities are continually updated and housekeeping is excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We keep coming back due to the outstanding location right on the lake and next to the rec path.

I always stay here when I visit Dillon. The view and location is phenominal and you can't beat the price. There is a wonderful seating area out front, which is just across the street from Lake Dillon. It's the perfect place to have breakfast al fresco in the summertime. The rooms have been updated and the environment is peaceful. I love this simple little slice of heaven.

A classic motel that has been very well maintained and in the best location in Summit county. Incredible views, with direct access to the Dillon/Frisco/Breckenridge bike trails. Right across the street from the Dillon outdoor amphitheater. Breakfast was similar to other breakfast offerings at other motels but the eggs and bacon were home made. Best value in the valley..

Sweet hotel located next to Dillon lake and their amphitheater. Dog friendly, great breakfast, good prices.Clean rooms with comfy beds. A true gem. The lake is only a 2 minute walk, and the Friday's farmers market is down the block. The grounds are full of flowers. There are tables down the hill where you can eat your breakfast or just sit and watch the world go by. The staff is friendly and sweet. And the prices perfect.

Well Breckinridge is a little bit of a drive because of traffic and I am biased because I don't like huge crowds. However, this hotel was the perfect location as others have shared. Right across from the amphitheater, the lake, the roooms are nice, they have a laundrey facility, indoor jacuzzi, and walk right next door to one of the better breakfast restaurants, a 5 minute drive to tons of decent restaurants in Dillon or Frisco. 5 minutes from a multi-plex cinema if it's a rainy day. Plus very reasonable pricing especially compared with Breck. Plus plus plus, easy access to the expressway for a number of different scenic drives. Made the right choice in staying here.

This is an older hotel which has been refurbished. It consists of several buildings and is across the street from the lake and a walking trail. We spent one night here and found it clean and comfortable with everything we needed. There is a small balcony, but because of trees, we could not see much of the lake. This did not matter, since we went on a walk along the lakeshore.

We were in Dillon for the July 4th holidays and extremely enjoyed our stay @ BW Ptarmigan Lodge, as we have in the past. The service and staff are outstanding as is the facility itself. Great location for fishing, sightseeing, hiking, boating, biking and did I mention fishing. Great entertainment across the street in the Amphitheater, as well as great restaurants with a few minutes walk. Always a pleasure to be there and will go again.

We stayed here in July and really were pleased with everything. Our room was clean and quiet. The beds were just right and we slept well. The staff suggested we have dinner at the restaurant almost on the parking lot, and we did, good suggestion. We sat outside overlooking the lake, for our tea time refreshment, very nice. We will come back here❗️

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We had a wonderful experience. Here are our thoughts: Strengths: 1. Amazing location that overlooks Lake Dillon. Absolutely great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Lake Dillon has a great walking and biking trail. 2. Located next to Dillon amphitheater. 3. Located near great restaurants. 4. Very friendly service at front desk. 5. Clean rooms. 6. Comfortable beds. 7. Hot tub was large and well kept. 8. Quality continental breakfast. 9. Nice size mini fridge in each room. Weaknesses: 1. Loud plumbing. We could easily hear the showers starting in the rooms near us. This was somewhat annoying when trying to get to bed early. 2. No AC in our room, but it was not a huge problem with cool nights and ceiling fan. 3. No fitness room.

We stayed in room 208 (I believe) which was a wonderful ground floor location with great hiking nearby, the lake directly across the street for you to stroll around, and walkable to lots of cute restaurants and bars. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. It's a pet friendly property with very low pet rent nightly. I believe it was $10 a day.

This hotel is a great value. Close to so many localities that you could use it as a base for exploring the area. The breakfast options (included) are amazing, the hotel area is beautiful, there is a children's park within walking distance.

Hotel itself is dated but clean and our room was nice with a balcony and chairs. Bed was comfortable but the location of the ceiling fan in the corner was very odd and not useful. The hotel has 4 separate buildings, happy our visit was during nice weather. Hotel only has a hot tub, no pool. Continental breakfast isn't overwhelming but decent. Highly recommend walking next door to the Arapahoe Cafe to eat. Across the street is Lake Dillon and the amphitheater which I could imagine being loud for guests in the main building.

I love the location and quiet area where this Best Western is. Everyone is helpful and kind. Although this is an older hotel it is super clean. There grounds are beautiful. I feel very safe in this area.

This property is wonderful. It's just steps away from beautiful Lake Dillon. I don't think any lodging is closer. There was plenty of parking close to the room, and this was a night they were at full occupancy. The room was well-appointed and immaculately clean. It wasn't huge, but they made smart use of the space. The hotel was no restaurant, but there's one just steps away and many more nearby. Checking in, the customer ahead of me made some silly requests, and the person behind the desk handled her very graciously. My check-in was very fast. The breakfast was the best I ever had from a hotel without a kitchen. The scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked and got rubbery. If I'd been eating at someplace like a Denny's, what I just said would have been a negative comment, but in this case it's a compliment. Normally, hotel eggs can't be rubbery because they're powdered. This place was serving real eggs. Rubbery real eggs are a million times better than any powdered eggs. Often the sausages at hotel breakfasts have a chemical aftertaste, a weird mouth feel, or both. These sausages had a pleasing flavor and an appropriate texture. I also had my pet with me and had no problems. It was a perfect stay in an amazing place. I already have a reservation to go back.

This Lodge shows its age a bit, in a charmingly retro rather than off-putting manner. The beds were comfortable, but the squarish pillows took a bit of adjusting. The breakfast offerings were mostly fresh, although the skim milk, even deeply chilled, was definitely on the wrong side of its serve-by date. The big draw is the location, just across the street from the fabulously scenic Dillon Reservoir, and this makes the room rates, on the whole, a terrific bargain. You are also in the heart of prime ski, hiking, and mountain biking country, as well as during the summer season, one of the highest bona fide sailing venues in the U.S.

Not as fancy as others, but great location. Rooms are fairly simple an clean.. Can be noisy, so you may want to get a fan. People that work there are super nice - especially those at the front desk. This is where I always stay in Summit County

Well maintained property in spectacular mountain location. Service from all staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and fairly quiet. Desk chair was fabulous. Electric heater accessory and "the rag" were helpful to dry out ski equip. Very close to ski resorts A Basin, Loveland, Keystone and a few others. Breakfast choices were better than average.

After booking through Priceline and having my credit card charged in advance, we drove through heavy snow and arrived at the Ptarmigan Lodge past midnight. They did not have our reservation, or had given away our room, and they had no rooms left. We tried to reach a human at Priceline for over an hour, but were left on our own to find another hotel at 1:00 AM. Awful start to our vacation.

This Best Western was quite a surprise. The rooms were motel rooms, but there was a nice common area, great breakfast and HUGE hot tub. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. No, I didn't get a wood-burning fireplace at a lodge in Keystone, but I did get a comfortable room at the end of a day skiing. Had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel was pretty good overall - nice setting near the lake, decent rooms and excellent service. However breakfast was problematic - the area is very small (about 10 tables), there is hardly room to move between the tables and the buffet area (you keep bumping into people), and the breakfast lady is too busy bringing out stuff - there's always something missing. Moreover, there just arent enough tables for all guests - so every morning people find themselves eating while standing or sitting on the sofa in the lobby area.

We've been staying here for years. It isn't fancy, but has everything you need and the location is spectacular. And the people running the place are great. I've never had any complaints. 4 out of 5 because it isn't fancy.

This hotel is a great value for the area. It is quite noisy. We have stayed in building 1 and 4 and you can hear everything outside your room. The building 4 room was considerably larger than the building 1 room. Beds were decent, staff very friendly, breakfast was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Best Western.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 13 nights at the end of our USA trip while we were snowboarding. Positives: - We were able to check in an hour early - Spa and sauna on site - Bus stop less than a minute walk away - Snowboard/Ski lockers available for free - Free, warm breakfast - Short walk to the lake - Affordable laundry - Mini fridge in room - Good vicinity to the supermarket/grocery store - Friendly staff - Thorough cleaners Negatives: - Sauna is on a 1 hour timer which was never switched on so when we went it was always cold - Breakfast area is extremely small for the amount of people in the lodge. This often meant we missed breakfast or had to wait for others to finish. This was an almost daily occurrence - No card lock on the laundry room but there was for every other part of the building/s - The cleaners didn't speak English so it was difficult to communicate what we needed - Thermostat in the room didn't seem to correspond to the heat coming out - Very minimal light in the rooms This isn't so much a complaint about the hotel itself but I was woken almost every morning at 6am by kids yelling or stomping in the hallway. A suggestion would be to put couples/adults on the top floor and those with kids on the bottom or in a separate building. Overall it's an affordable accomodation option and in a great location. I would stay here again provided there weren't any cheaper or similar priced accomodation closer to the mountain.

I enjoy staying here because it is quiet, has a hot breakfast, and a great view. I have stayed here several times. It has a nice hot tub and sauna. It is reasonably priced for families. I try to stay here for ski season and in the summer.

The Ptarmigan Lodge is a great Best Western in the perfect location for skiing all the Summit County ski areas. The owners/managers are great people - truly fun to visit each time. The facility is always in great shape - with improvements each time I stay.

We spent 5 nights at BW and was able to ski Vail and Breckenridge. BW is conveniently located in Dillon across the street from the reservoir. The facilities are well maintained for its age and the beds are comfortable. This is the best priced lodging in the area. The AARP rate was really nice. Weekends are more expensive. There is a small fridge in the room but no microwave; in room safe and Free Wi-Fi and parking. The on site sauna and hot tub were great to soak our tired muscles and bones after a long day of skiing. Towels are provided in the sauna/hot tub area. The best deal is the free daily hot breakfast - scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage, muffins, pastries, bread, bagels, coffee, waffles, yoghurt, etc. Fresh fruit includes bananas, orange, and apple. They also offer hard boiled eggs. We saved some of the hard boiled eggs, muffins, and fresh fruit to go, which were great to have on the ski slopes.

A very nice hotel in a great location between keystone,breck,abasin and copper. arapohole cafe next door is a great restaurant. you do have to walk outside to go to breakfest,hot tub and office. But it is a easy walk. they even have lockers for your equipment. The breakfest is good,but the room is small and crowded. My only complaint was i asked for a restaurant recommendation from one of the night clerks,she said the computer was in lobby go look it up on trip advisor. everyone else was very nice. I would defintly stay here again.

The Best Western Ptarmigan in Dillon Colorado is one of the best key secrets in the industry. The rooms are comfortable, the beds wonderful, excellent breakfasts and superb management. The cost value of this hotel far exceeds the norm. I stay in hotels all over the world but the value of this hotel exceeds almost all. The location is ideal, with easy access to both summer and winter activities.

Within walking distance of brewery and restaurants. Comfortable room and above average breakfast. Friendly staff and free parking. Four separate buildings so possible short walk outside to office/dining area.

Stayed here after a day in Breck, only a quarter mile from the Ice Castle. Hotel is nice, shower gets hot, plenty of pillows. The heat works! Maybe a little too well but nothing that can't be adjusted. Beautiful view that backs up to the mountains. Check in was a breeze. During ski season, finding a restaurant without a wait there can be a chore but overall a great place.

The location is great since it is close to Keystone and Arapahoe Basin ski resorts. The breakfast was good and similar to other hotels I've visited. My main complaint is the beds were not very comfortable, and is why I didn't give this hotel a better rating.

We have been coming here for years and it is easily hands down the best and friendliest place to stay if you ski Keystone or Breckenridge. Spacious rooms, great breakfast and they even have ski lockers if you don't want to leave them on the car. For dinner try the Arapahoe Cafe right on the corner.

Hotel met our expectations. We stayed there during the last week of December for a ski trip to nearby mountains. Only about 15 min drive each way during peak times. Room was clean and well presented. Lots of variety for breakfast. Nice hot bubbly hot tub .. but be warned that the tub is accessed via exterior pathways, so you need to dress warmly to get there and back (there is a connected shower, so we showered an dressed there)

Great view of Lake Dillion which is frozen over in Dec-Jan and was beautiful!Staff courteous and efficient. Good breakfast with stay. Easy access to other experiences in the region. We stayed four nights.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. However, the temperature was way too hot and the thermostat on the wall seemed to have nothing to do with room temperature. It was very confusing trying to find the main office to check in but once we were there the front desk person was very friendly and helpful. It was a nice place to stay at a reasonable price, especially for this area.

We booked two rooms here for a family event at nearby Breckenridge. Check-in was seamless and we found our rooms in good order. This motel has, I think, four seperate buildings with several rooms in each building. None are interconnected so one must go outside to get to the office if one is not staying in that particular building. Both rooms were very comfortable, well-appointed, and very clean. Lots of windows made for a bright room, and otherwise the lighting was, to us, a bit too dim. Nice bathroom and shower. The only observation that is a bit negative, is that the breakfast room, on the one day we were there, was FAR too small to accommodate all comers. The food was good, but even the service area is small, and there were insufficient tables and chairs. Because the motel is composed of several separate buildings, if snow and ice are present, the walk to the breakfast building can be downright hazardous! We enjoyed our stay here and would book again if another occasion arises.

You can't beat this hotel's location. Very close to Keystone, Breckenridge and A-basin. We use this hotel to avoid the horrible traffic on I-70 from Denver. Beautiful grounds right on lake Dillon. The hot tub is ideal after a delightful day on the mountain. The breakfast is super handy too. We will be using this place for years to come!!!

This hotel is perfectly located for the Dillon area and offers excellent value! I have stayed here numerous times and will continue. The cont. breakfast offers many options and is generally staffed early. As a bonus you have a nice view of the lake as well - again very well managed and comfortable.

Hair in both beds. Hair in shower. Smoke alarm battery needed to be replaced, so it beeped all night. Will not recommend this hotel. Huge floor plan. Nice updates but they need to learn how to clean. Will not be back.

We had a great stay. There was a great view and walking area at the lake. The endless coffee was great on a cold weekend. We had hoped to use the sauna in the morning but it didn't open until 10am so we were bummed about that. The room was pretty small but perfect for what we needed. The little kitchenette area had everything we needed and more. The staff through the whole stay was friendly & helpful.

I reviewed this hotel following 2 1-night stays a couple of weeks apart 3 years ago when arriving at, and leaving the US from Denver International. We enjoyed our stay here so returned on a similar basis this year - ie 2 1-night stays just over 2 weeks apart. We were not disappointed as the 2 rooms to which we were allocated were generously sized, comfortable, and clean. Again breakfast was fine, and the reception staff were accommodating, helpful, and welcoming on both occasions. We did not meet any other staff. This time the weather was more seasonal and in all respects we were very happy with our stays. We consider that given the comfort, amenities and location (right across the road from the lake) this hotel is really good value in the shoulder season (cannot comment on any other time) and it also has the benefit of a very pleasant pub / restaurant in the grounds. We were delighted with our return visits and would certainly recommend staying here if seeking accommodation in this area.

My wife and I stay here every year while attending a Fire Chiefs Convention in Keystone, Colorado... We always enjoy our stay and it's only a five minute drive to the Convention Center... We'll stay here again next year.

Having stayed here on our last visit to the US some 5 years ago I thought it would be a good place to end our holiday - not so. Obviously primarily a ski resort, it's seen better days. The décor was dated and shabby and the outer lock on the door of our block (4) not only didn't work but after 2 reports and 2 lockouts the lock mechanism actually fell off altogether. (To be fair it was fixed by the time we returned from dinner). The lock to our room wasn't much better. The bed was comfortable but the room was too hot, even with the windows and outer balcony door open all evening. There was no way of making air con and the only salvation was a ceiling fan. The thermostat on the wall was showing over 80 degrees but as it was hanging off who knows. There was coffee making but unlike other hotels this trip, there were no tea bags. I used the laundry facilities which were adequate, but only 1 of each for the size of the complex. There was free breakfast, but one look made us decide to go to the on site restaurant instead where we had better food. The view of the lake and it's position is its one saving grace, but as we couldn't see the lake from our room, little consolation. When I checked out there wasn't even anyone around and I couldn't be bothered to wait.

This Inn has a location that can't be beat, right next to the new city amphitheater and marina, and an incredible view across the lake. There is a pub next door although I haven't been to it. Picnic tables with umbrellas in front are perfect for relaxing. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast room is large enough to accommodate everyone, a rarity in motels. And it has a breakfast that has most everything you could want (except potatoes, I miss my potatoes!!) The hot tub is fantastic, large and at 103 F, ultra clean, perfect for ending a day. The upstairs, or downstairs, is only a half flight up or down - in building four anyway. Upstairs rooms have balconies with chairs and a table. Nice!! Shopping is close by, A large City Market, Liquor Store and fast food places. The Information Center is a mile away. The hiking/biking path is right in front and it takes you as far as Breckenridge or as close as the Blue River trail. The only problem was probably our room (414), a terrible shower head and a tub with a drain stopper that didn't work. I'm thinking if I complained, at least the stopper would have been fixed? One thing to keep in mind is that there are four buildings, Only one has lake views. It is almost 200 steps to get to the breakfast room from bldg four. I wear a pedometer. Our room had a fridge but no microwave. Would I stay here again? You bet. In fact, this was the second time.

Anna and Caroline and all the staff members are extremely friendly. They do everything they can to make it a pleasurable experience. The The breakfasts are amazing. The egg dish is kept up with steaming hot eggs at all times. The rooms are very accommodating, with very comfortable beds. We can't wait to return here again next year for 14 days.

Booked this for a quick stay on my way to Denver. Appears built in the late 70s or early 80s. Normally this is a turn-off for me but not this place. Very charming, very well cared for, and squeaky clean! The main lobby is modern and the breakfast was the most comprehensive and comfortable I have ever experience. I would go out of my way to stay here again!!!

Somewhat rustic and a bit creaky, but good security features and nicely placed beside Lake Dillon. However, there was no air conditioning to the rooms, just an overhead fan, and the night we stayed it needed it!

Nice clean motel lodge, comfortable and affordable. Breakfast with a view is included too. Nice staff. My husband enjoyed the nice hot tub. Grounds are attractive and well maintained. Walk to the lake, was a big plus!

My husband, son and I just stayed at the Best Western Ptarmigan for one night. We wanted to see the Dillon area. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location could not have been better. It was virtually on the lake. The view was spectacular. We were within walking distance of the lake, trail around lake, the town of Dillon and the many places to grab a bite. It was perfect. Our room was large enough for three adults with room to spare. It was clean and nicely appointed. The breakfast was not anything special but was adequate for a quick bite. We would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area.

Stayed here on our way to fly out of Denver with our dog. It is adorable! It's a little dated, but everything was impeccably clean, it's across the street from the most gorgeous reservoir, and several restaurants close by. They offer pet friendly rooms and the staff was super accommodating when there was an issue with our reservation through Priceline that somehow didn't communicate that we needed a pet room. Breakfast was good as well. Quiet and in a beautiful setting. Would love to stay again!

The staff was very friendly. The location was perfect. The hallway carpets looked a little dingy, but in the rooms were clean. Loved the ceiling fans, since their is no a/c. You can ask for an additional fan, but wasn't needed. Breakfast was plenty too! Waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, fresh fruit and juices. Bakery galore! Nice stay!

Very well located in Dillion. VERY helpful staff and amenities. Highly Recommend!! Breakfast was very good and the staff continually kept the counter stocked and clean. The grounds were very accommodating with large lawn area, and access to the lake.

Very nice older hotel, well maintained, with some views of Dillion Lake. Very good parking availability with easy access to rooms. Closest hotel access available to Dillion City Center and lakefront. Good breakfast with some nice views from breakfast eating area. Most rooms require some ability to negotiate a few stairs. Very quiet with good beds.

Large rooms with lots of parking close to the building. We had extra towels and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, there were two waffle irons but the breakfast area is not very large so it has limited seating. We have been staying at this lodge since 1985 and have always had a good nights rest. For the skiers, there are lockers for your equipment as you enter each building, each locker is assigned to a room and has a strong dead bolt on it.

Pros - friendly staff, GREAT location, good rates, attractive buildings and grounds. Room was clean though rather dark decor.Breakfast area a little small but attentive staff and great food. Clean coin-operated laundry with one set of appliances. Restaurant/bar adjoining. Cons - requested non-pet room and assigned room in one of the apartment-type buildings adjoining the drive-up style main motel building rooms. Stairs up and down to rooms, dim light hallways. Room had secondary door directly onto patio/lawn but it and all others in building had been disabled. Many customers with dogs. Appears all drive-up first floor rooms allow dogs as numerous doors were open and such seen in doorways or walking close by on well groomed grass doing their thing. Should one be traveling with a dog this is the location and get drive-up room this could be a 4 out of 5 rating but since I was not had to go with a 3 out of 5. Had great expectations with multi-night booking that just did not work out for me but give this facility a look if traveling in the Dillon area.

Let me start off with the management of this property are very nice and professional. There is nothing they could have done to make my experience at the hotel better. The hotel is old and in need of an overhaul. The bathroom has old wood trim and appears to be 30-40 years old. They now supply 0.7oz size toiletries. I didn't know they made them that small. The rooms don't have AC, they are dimly lit, and the walls are paper thin. The bedding is drab. I felt this hotel was just depressing and I checked out after one night and went down the street to a newer, modern and bright hotel for less $.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Yes it is an older property, but it is kept up well. You don't get a view of the lake from every room, but for us that was okay. No AC, so I am glad it was cool while we were here. Breakfast was the typical hotel fair. Very quiet due to being off the highway, which was a big plus for us. All & all I would recommend staying here.

Had a couple of nights here and as always with Best Western it was extremely good value. The rooms were well positioned , clean and very comfortable. Breakfast as always in Best Western were very good. Recommend yes and would certainly come back.

Patirraa at the Best Western in Lake Dillon, Colorado, surpassed any hospitality I have ever encountered -- she deserves huge recognition for this as hotels with a low price are generally not so 'gracious' you could say. She single handedly changed my whole demeanor with her sheer kindness, compassionate presence and wonderful smile! She was dedicated to helping the people ahead of me with finding a room that fit their needs and was very gracious when checking me in as well ( mind you, at almost midnight on a busy Saturday...!). It's genuinely a breath of fresh air to have a real conversation with someone who truly cares about each person's stay that walks in. Right next to the lake and marina. Nice amphitheatre with free shows. Good sound proofing in pet friendly rooms. This is the closest you will get to the lake which is why it is a little more pricey than the other hotels.

Friendly and helpful staff. Wesley was always willing to give us information about the area and attractions. Room was very clean and comfortable. There was a beautiful lake and Marina right across from the hotel. Great location in general. Had free concerts in the amphitheater. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

So first of all, going from sea level to over nine thousand feet above that in one day is a big deal for a south Floridian. The clean and cozy room accommodations of the Best Western were a great way to acclimate. The location is phenomenal. Right in front of Lake Dillon. We called in advance to make sure we could have a room facing the lake. It was granted. However not sure if that was a compromise for AC, but that was the one thing lacking for me. To my surprise it was in the 40s and 50s in the morning and then warmed up to the 70s in the day. I thought for August it would be warmer out but it was a blessing in disguise because it was tolerable to sleep without AC. However some sort of fan or ventilation should be considered by the Ptarmigan Lodge, but until they figure that out just open your window. For us it was quiet, clean and the customer service was great. Housekeeping is great too. Breakfast is included and there is plenty of food and options. You can go as healthy or unhealthy as you'd like. Or like me, somewhere in the middle, freshly made waffle and a couple hard boiled eggs. LOL There's a place to sit outside and eat too. The room is old school, not modern, but kept well for the most part. I bring my own toiletries but they provide mini shampoo/ conditioner and soaps. The towels were fluffy and the bed was firm but comfortable. There is mini fridge and a decent size tv. We were out and about most of the days, so the accommodation were plenty sufficient. We were able to print our boarding passes in the lobby check in area complimentary. I would stay again.

Great place to stay in Dillion Co. Great location by the lake. It's next to a great restaurant The Arapahoe Cafe. We have enjoyed the place multiple times. Just wish the cars with tarps would park else where.

Ptarmigan lodge is a rustic hotel hard on the bank of Lake Dillon Reservoir, Dillon, Colorado. The locale is just steps from the town street market on Fridays. A few steps further is the brand new Dillon Amphitheater with live music every weekend. Great restaurants within walking distance. Year round beauty and just off the 205 exit of I- 70.

Located in a scenic and busy tourist destination, this hotel was beautifully landscaped to enhance the beauty of the location. The reception staff and experience was superb and the hot breakfast was perfect!

The Best Western in Dillon, CO was a good value. It was clean, All staff was friendly, breakfast was typical for a hotel. Close to the water but most rooms did not have a view of the lake. It was quiet....beds a little old but the bathroom was updated. Overall a good stay.

Hotel is spread out over several buildings. Grounds are well cared for. I had booked ahead and requested a balcony room with a view (see photo). This hotel does not have A/C but did have a ceiling fan in room. We always bring our own box fan, so with two fans, was very comfy for sleeping in July. Beds great as always at BW. Breakfast area was small, but we arrived a few minutes before it was to be served and had no problem getting a seat. There was seating outside as well. Would stay here again.

After reading other reviews, we selected this hotel as the best option for our stay in the area. It was the right choice! While the hotel is older, the staff, cleanliness and location were great. Other reviews talked about the lack of air conditioning and noise however, we were there in August and never needed air conditioning. The only noise we noticed was a concert at the outdoor amphitheater on the lake and a little from the deliveries to the restaurant behind the building we were in. The sauna/hot-tub area was wonderful after a long busy day. The town is very nice and I would prefer to stay there over the much busier towns much of our event took place in. I am a very selective person when it comes to hotels and am always leery of older hotels but this was the perfect choice and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone.

Not exactly what I would expect for a best western hotel not being your standard best western , more like a quaint motel on the lake. The hotel was clean and we enjoyed our stay. Check prices on other lodging in the area and this is a good place.

My sister and I stayed one night. It was most difficult for one on a Walker. Many steps, no ramps. Heavy doors. Bathroom unsafe. No grab bar in tub or toilet area. Tiny no-slip pieces in slippery tub. Breakfast room too small. Poor front desk agent Barbara give unclear instructions to room. Cannot recommend this.

This was a last minute trip and an awesome one at that! We got the last room and were able to reserve it for 2 nights. Good breakfast, just a little cramped in the area they have it. Rooms were nice. No air conditioning which I thought would be a problem but turned out fine since it cools down so much at night. We enjoyed the huge hot tub also. This hotel is within walking distance to two nice restaurant/bars and the town just built a new outdoor amphitheater. Free concerts on Friday/Saturday nights. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful place to stay in Dillon. We enjoyed the lake directly across the street. The outside patio areas were great. Room was large and very comfortable. Beds and pillows made for a good night sleep! Breakfast was very nice. Something for everyone!

The room was hot, dark and nothing more than average. No AC and dull lighting. Felt more like camping then a hotel stay. Not alot of restaurants and one closes at 2. Pretty views from the lake if you cross the street. Good place to stay if you like camping. Staff is nice, breakfast good.

We stayed one night on our way west. I found it kind of charming in a retro kind of way. Yeah, the property has some age but it has matured well. In good condition. Yeah the plumbing may be a bit slow but it works fine. The tub drain kept up with the shower. Clean and comfortable are expected from me so no extra point there, even though it was. The room was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. The climate control was central so you couldn't hear it when it was running. It kept the room comfortable. Too quiet for my wife who requires some kind of white noise. You can't please everybody. The best part for me were the gardens. Beautifully groomed and attended. As a passionate gardener, I really appreciated that. Did not use the hot tub but I looked at it. HUGE! Breakfast was standard hotel fare but it was good. I may have been a bit generous at a full 4 rating but it deserves more than a 3. I would probably stay again.

We have stayed here before but this time we were disappointed. We met friends from Denver. Our floors were creaky. Lots of noise outside and had to open windows-no A/C. Biggest disappointment was after showing our Gold Reward card we did not receive our BW 10% discount on a $246.00 bill. However, we did receive our $20.00 BW card for summer promotion. We love BW! This is the only one we have stayed at that is lacking in great customer service. The view is good, when there are no events across the street and the fencing is down. It is always clean. We can tolerate most things but good customer service really makes a difference when looking for a place to stay. Not sure about staying here again.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The location on the lake is gorgeous. The room was roomy and nicely decorated and very clean. We walked to the lakefront in the evening and again the next morning. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. The price was not bad for this area. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: The woman who checked us in (early, no less!) was absolutely wonderful: friendly, helpful, and efficient. This hotel needs to hang on to her! Though a 1980s hotel, the rooms were recently renovated. The bed was comfortably firm with nice linen, and kudos to the housekeeping staff for having conscientious cleaners -- the bathroom was sparkling clean! The ceiling fan worked well, and with the windows open, we were comfortable. However, we were on the first floor, which is actually below ground level, so the rooms were probably cooler than those on the second floor. Cons: The room had a refrigerator but no microwave; not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have a microwave. Poor soundproofing -- the folks above us arrived late and for the next 30 minutes we could hear EVERYTHING as they settled in. It was exactly like being in a basement room -- who knew a toilet flush could be so loud? Since we needed to have the windows open, we could hear all the conversations above us (the second floor rooms had balconies), people coming and going from the parking lot, as well as a few toddler meltdowns. Despite the noise issues, we liked our one night stay. The location, the staff, and the clean rooms are enough reasons for us to return to this hotel in the future.

Very quiet and peaceful and with the quality that Best Western offers routinely. Very popular all year round so reserve early to get the room size you want. Great breakfast offerings for a full meal. Rooms a little small and dated, but adequate for my husband and me for the 2 nights we were there.

Excellent stay. Very clean, and roomy. Nestled in among pines trees, only two stories. The Arapaho's Cafe next door is awesome. Concerts at the amphitheater on the lake were a plus. Plenty to do but coming back and watching the sunset on the lake was priceless. Old Dillon reservoir and Frisco are a must.

We only stayed one night but we were very impressed with the location, hotel grounds, customer service and breakfast. Our room was nice, and would have been perfect on upper floor or facing the grounds. The young lady who checked us in (manager?) is a great asset to the hotel!

We happened upon this hotel after driving for awhile. What a great find. It is nestled right in Dillon. It has the most amazing views of the lake and mountains nearby. There is a great park across the street with a walking/biking path around the lake and a great playground for the kids. There is enough within walking distance we left the car parked and stayed a second night.

Comfortable beds, full kitchenette, windows that open for cool mountain air, friendly staff, working WiFi, great complimentary breakfast - the best we had anywhere on this trip. Loved the price too! Nice location easy to access and close town and lake. A local restaurant/ pub on corner. Ski storage. Pretty flowers. Soft bed and pillows, choice of two kinds of pillows, four on each bed. Clean. Nice hot tub. Good breakfast, eggs, meat, fruit, juice, coffee, waffles, bagels, toast, yogurt, tea, ect. Some of the buildings allow pets. Cable TV

Made reservations three months in advance and even Called to confirm. I understand that they can't always honor room choice but not knowing this hotel we wanted the lake view upon checking in our view was of the balcony a short hop across the courtyard. Meaning no view at all. The hostess argued with me about when I made the reservation and when I asked to cancel. No service whatsoever ever I'm a frequent best western member but not liking this one

No complaints here! The hotel is basically a campus of 3 or 4 buildings (can't recall the exact number) -- If you don't mind a short walk to the spa/sauna building it's a pretty decent place! I haven't stayed in a better Best Western Hotel. The room was in very good quality (with a balcony I might add) and breakfast was stellar! Put simply, I needed a cheap, decent place to stay while I was on a solo ski trip. This surpassed that need by a large margin.

Drove to this hotel/motel, to find it was in a beautiful location. We stayed one block off the main building, but excellent location within walking distance of good eats and drinks, Good reception upon arrival given room quickly. Room was clean, well laid out with fridge. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was hot and cold and good, if a little slow on refilling. Wifi was excellent, would recommend.

We booked this place on Priceline, literally as we were rolling into town. Our decision was heavily based on a 3 star rating. Let me be clear, it was Priceline's rating, not the facility. Upon arrival, it was clear this was no 3 star hotel. It is dated, as one review said. Our room had no air conditioning, something it needed this 1st week of June. The ceiling fan was quiet at low speed but we needed more than that so we turned it up, only to hear it make an assortment of noises. Can't complain about cleanliness. It is a pretty setting, right across from the lake. Biggest gripe is that we were expecting more than what the hotel was, an issue I'll raise with Priceline.

Old, dirty, terrible customer service. Booked a King dog-friendly room 5 months prior to stay but told when we checked in that we didn't request dog friendly. So we had to take the last one available, which was 2 double beds right by the front office, even though we checked in just after 3. No a/c so had to keep the windows open bc it was so hot, and there were constantly people walking by the room and standing on the stairs in front of it talking forever like it was a hang out spot. Deadbolt didn't work on door. Filthy mattress and carpet. Hot breakfast food was gross. The worst of it is we were told we get lowest priority bc we booked with points. We booked with points bc we stay at so many best westerns and are gold elite status! Best western should take their name off this place. Then we had a $99 pending charge on our card. We asked the office what it was for but the new girl in there didn't know. She called us back stating that the girl that checked us in already told us it was for incidentals since we had 2 dogs. 1. No she didn't, otherwise we wouldn't be asking. 2. Even if she had, does she have to be such a hag about it? Just tell us what it is. She didn't even explain any of the amenities, let alone that charge. The only good thing is the view of the lake and mountains, but there was a huge ugly construction fence blocking it. Will never go back

We spent three days there celebrating anniversary. The good points were that rooms were clean, breakfast better than expected and friendly staff. Location is great. The bad points were there are four buildings and we were in building four which had no view of the lake. There is no air conditioning and our room was a little hot in early June when temperature was no higher than 70 degrees. There is no micro wave and toilet paper was thin single ply. I was told you have to call motel to see if lake view room available. I would not stay there again without lake view room.

Older hotel that has been kept up / updated. Other lodging in the area may be just as good but location, location, location. From the hotel parking lot you can walk across the street and down the hill to the lake. Water maybe 300' from hotel. View out the window was the lake with snow capped mountains in the background. Breakfast was decent. Staff was friendly.

The lake view is spectacular! Room was comfortable. Appreciated microwave and refrigerator. 2 luggage racks made unpacking and repacking much easier. Hot tub temperature was perfect! Wonderful breakfast with lots of choices.

we were on our way back from Nashville and wanted to get thru Denver to pick a place to stay, chose Dillon and called ahead for resv. drove in and WHAT A VIEW!!! ended up staying 2 nights. nice facilities.

this lodge is an outstanding value and is in a beautiful location. the facilities are clean and everything is functional. the staff is pleasant and helpful. the breakfast is comprehensive offering a wide variety.

Great views of the lake, centrally located to many amenities (marina, dinning, amphitheater, ski areas, shopping) very clean, and such a wonderful staff! Couldn't ask for a better place to stay on Lake Dillon! So nice just to walk down to the dock, sit in the hot tub, or tables out front and relax!

My husband and I stayed here several years ago and just loved it. I don't believe they've made any updates since we stayed previously! The biggest issue was the bed. It was old and uncomfortable. On the positive side is the personnel are nice and The Arapahoe Cafe is easy walk.

Love the setting as the hotel is in different buildings, nicely situated,on lake Dillon. Each room feels more private. There is a hot tube and laundry facilities. All buildings are only two floors. The hot breakfast was fresh and delicious with great choices. The front desk staff was warm and inviting. We would definately stay here again.

Location right across from beautiful lake dillon! Easy access to everything in Summit, quiet and comfy. Would definitely stay here again, pet friendly is a big bonus. Staff was accommodating, affordable and nice!

Love this place. Wouldn't stay any other place when in the area and we come a minimum of once a year. Can always count on excellent service and accommodations. We highly recommend the Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge to all our friends and family.

An older hotel with different buildings but nicely remodeled. It doesn't have elevators. But a great stop for skiing and nice getaway for the views! Clean rooms, a balcony with chairs to see the views! Great hot tub and sauna although a shor cold walk. Well worth it! Great stay!

Our favorite place to stay in Summit County, Colorado. Have stayed here often and will in the futures as well. Have observed nice upgrades and good maintenance over a 15 year period. Plan you next trip here.

We stayed here on our way to Utah and it was a great retreat. Clean room, amazing location right next to the lake and the staff was very accommodating. We also had a balcony with seating. They do also offer ski lockers and complimentary breakfast. Great restaurant within walking distance.

Good value near ski resorts. Acceptable breakfast. Good wifi. A number of amenities that we did not use. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Arapahoe pub next door was a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

The Best Western surprised me. It didn't look great from the exterior, but the room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was renovated and nice. The complementary breakfast had eggs, bacon, waffles, and was an actual breakfast versus just a few cereals and muffins thrown out. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for five nights during a recent ski trip. The place is not fancy but it is clean, quiet and has great management. We realized at about 8pm, that our refrigerator was not working. I put in a call to the front desk hoping that something could be done early in the morning. Within about 15 minutes a courteous maintenance man arrived to check it out. He agreed with our conclusion and in about 15 more minutes, we had a brand new refrigerator! The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was fairly large for the price. We were on the second floor of our building and there were no elevators. This was not a problem for us, but might be a consideration for others. They have a good breakfast including eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. We will return next year!

This hotel is right on Lake Dillon - beautiful in summer or winter. The rates are excellent for the quality of the hotel . It is not one of the newest hotels , but it is always superbly managed and clean. The hotel is actively managed by the owners and it shows !! Better than most of the BW plus hotels !

We have stayed here since 2008 and it is a great value. Can walk to several places for dinner. Meet new people in the hot tub and breakfast is excellent. Walks along the lake are great to loosen up before hitting the slopes.

Been going here for years. Comfortable beds, clean, great staff, very good breakfast, beautiful location by Lake Dillon, lockers for your skis. It's great for summer and winter. Arapahoe Cafe, next door, is delicious.

I booked this as our flight from the UK meant it would be too difficult to drive to Steamboat, somehow I had forgotten that we still had to go through the Eisenhower tunnel! Luckily the weather wasn't too bad although we were still tired (on UK time) when we arrived. I chose this rather than the modern chain hotels closer to Silverthorne, and would probably do the same again if I wanted that location. We were in a block away from the reception, room was fine, albeit very hot so we had to keep the windows open all night. Some noise from other guests in the corridor. We didn't use the hot tub, but did eat in the hotel pub and had the free breakfast. The pub was very disappointing, would not recommend. Breakfast was good, for free! A varied menu, but not much space so everyone competing for seats! I know a lot of people stay here to ski locally, may consider for future trips; we tend to stay in resorts to ski in/ ski out such as Steamboat Springs or Snowmass as this trip.

For booking last minute, this was a good find. Typical hotel room. The only thing I would like to point out is- you have to walk or drive to the continental breakfast, and walk outside to the hot tub. Of course during nice weather, this isn't a problem at all, it isn't that far. January, we definitely had to drive to breakfast. Hot tub is big, but they close at 9:30, which is a little early in my opinion. Other than that, we would book again.

This is an older property located across from the waterfront (reservoir) in Dillon, CO. It is an older property but clean and pleasant. The buildings are old wood frames and there are several of them with a handful of rooms in each one. Rooms 101-106 face the waterside (across quiet street)... the others do not. The floors creek in the rooms but all in all - we had a pleasant 2 night stay here.

Although this motel is on the older side, the rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. The view of Lake Dillon is great. We were able to walk to the Dillon Ice Castle which saved us from parking problems. The price of the room was a great value for a ski town in winter. Very good restaurant next door. I would go back.

The room has all the necessary modern amenities such as a hair dryer, safe, iron and board, flat panel television. The bedding was typical, nothing luxurious. During the season, the place is at full capacity with a fair amount of noise when the guests come in late after partying. Location cannot be beat in Dillon as it is right at the center of the town.

The hotel was great. The only criticism is that the place is a little worn out. It is great for skiers looking for a nice place to stay near the slopes. It has a lockers for the skis, large hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was standard fare offered by most hotels. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and friendly.

This was our first time skiing and we had the most wonderful time. This hotel was amazing. Right on Lake Dillon. The staff was very friendly. Our stay included breakfast! I've never had the breakfast like I did here, so thank you! Ski lockers are also included for those who need them. The hot tub was wonderful to use after a day of skiing. There was a sauna, but since it wasn't in use it was cold (and would take a while to warms up). The area was quiet and you are literally minutes from Loveland ski basin and Frisco, and seconds drive to Silverthorne (where they had coach, Nike,etc. outlets). I would definitely stay here again. We are wanting to bring our children next year. I have already recommended a friend who is currently booking a trip for February because she was so inspired by the fun we had on our trip.

This hotel was a great place to stay while visiting the local ski areas. The hotel was quiet, the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. This hotel also has ski lockers for your skis which is a nice extra. The cost of the room was very reasonable.

Dillon Colorado is most spectacular. Love staying at BW on Dillon lake, All seasons with beautiful scenery. Close to everything. Don't stay anywhere else! The hospitality is always top notch with making ur stay warm and welcoming! Thanks BW!

Rooms and bathroom are good size. Even have use of a ski locker. Staff is super nice and helpful. Location is convenient. Beds are ok, breakfast offered lots of choices and is good! overall we had a great time and will stay again.

This hotel is a bit off of I-70 but it is worth finding. Friendly staff and clean room. And much quieter than being next to the highway. Even better there is an excellent restaurant next door, the Arapahoe Cafe.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this budget motel. The location is right on the lake and we enjoyed breakfast with stunning mountain views. The rooms were very nice and had been upgraded. Appreciated the mini fridge and desk, table and chairs even for a basic room. Breakfast was better than average for this class of hotel. Plenty of parking. Near several stores and restaurants. The only minor complaint is that our room was next to the exterior stairs and it was very loud. We'd stay here again.

This hotel consists of 4 2-story builidngs. Rooms are clean, location is great. The only complaint I would have is the breakfast. It's kind of terrible, more than usual for this type of hotels. We end up buying breakfast elsewhere. I'd say it was a little overpriced, but we stayed during the Christmas weekend. We booked it with couple friends, and we end up staying in different buildings.Hanging out in the lobby wasn't convenient either since it was in another building altogether.

The room is sweet and comfort. The location has beautiful surroundings and convenient transports. I prefer to stay there for several weeks if possible :) I will stay there again if I visit Dillon again.

This is a nice property with a fabulous view of Lake Dillon and upgraded rooms. Great shopping and dining, and the ski resorts are close by. Only problem...walls are RAZOR THIN. Even with the best ear plugs, I heard every car, every scraper, and every conversation from 6:30 am - 9:30 am.

This hotel is WAY overpriced for what it is. It's a $200/night motel and not a nice motel. It's all around average. Would be a good deal if it were $100 or less. The rooms are standard, not super clean. Our smoke detector went off at 7am. The breakfast area was so crowded we finally just gave up and left. The heater was so loud it kept us up most of the night. Overall not a great experience. If you can get a deal it's not a bad place to stay but I would not stay here for the high prices at the time.

great location, close to Lake Dillon, about another exit to Frisco and 15 minutes drive to Breckenridge plus a few minutes to Keystone and Silverthorne. older facility but they keep it clean, plenty of space room and very clean bathroom. good complimentary breakfast. close to restaurants and grocery store.
