"Homelike feeling"
elianacms, 29 Janvier 2024

The hotel has a very interesting decoration, that gives a homelike feeling. The breaksfast is good, with options, with the time adaptable to our needs. The room was impecable, with lovely small details.

"The Hague - difficult to find VFM"
SirChrisHarrison, 25 Avril 2023

Hotels being incredibly expensive in the Hague, we went for the Best Western as we knew the standard. The room was very small. The sink was outside the bathroom - quite strange. So you had 2 waste bins in the room and none in the bathroom. The bed was excellent. The pillows small but larger ones were provided on request. The shower was really good and so too were the towels. Great to have car-parking on site at a reasonable price. Local taxis were surprisingly cheap!

"good value for a city centre hotel."
Michael B, 12 Mars 2023

Hotel staff were very helpful allowing me to change the date of the booking, after having to return home early the month before. Very friendly receptionist, who was also attending to the bar and cooking/serving the evening meals. Limited to just soup and Pizzas. car parkin cost €15 just overnight. Room was fair size and everything worked.

"Good size room and high ceiling"
Emily S, 01 Janvier 2023

I like the size of the room that has ample space to open a big suitcase on the floor. The bathroom is also nicely heated, and the shower strong and nice. Location was great and safe and easy reach by tram. My son and I even walked to the scheveningen beach from the hotel. Just one note on the rooms : you can hear footsteps from the room above yours.

"Clean and comfortable"
nihguv, 19 Octobre 2022

Clean and comfortable room with enough space. Clean and spacy bathroom/ WC with shower. Free wifi and kettle to prepare tea or coffee in the room. Relatively close to the city center. Helpful crew. definetely worth of the price I paid. The only negative point was that the windows in the room and in the bathroom cannot be openede to get fresh air inside. The AC in the room is of split type which (I think) does not provide fresh air.

"Very nice stay (through Social Deal)"
dirkhG8017IG, 29 Juin 2022

Very friendly staff, nice room! Good breakfast but rather busy breakfast room. Value for money through Social Deal :-) Good location to visit the beach in Scheveningen and the city center of Den Haag.

"Outdated hotel with defects"
Baetens_Joris, 24 Juin 2022

The first night I stayed in a room that you couldn't darken and you couldn't get out of bed without hurting your toes on a radiator. Then I took a shower but the water did not drain. After the delicious, yet simple, breakfast I went to the toilet and nothing was washed away here either. A window was also broken. After my working day I returned to the hotel and another room was provided for me. This room on the ground floor was small but everything was available. There was no fridge. There was no window to open and the drain smelled awful all the time. I could hear the residents of rooms on the first floor, very loudly, walking back and forth. However, the staff and service were very friendly and helpful.

"The cosiest hotel ever"
H4041QW_, 12 Avril 2022

I rarely leave feedback on places I have visited, but Best Western hotel really made me want to leave a comment here. People who work there are amazing, helpful and friendly. Any sort of question is solved within few minutes. They can call in the room if there is a need. Facilities and conditions are real from pictures. Breakfast in the morning among your family members make you feel like at home! Plus the food is delicious and there is a great range of meals for everyone. Definitely recommend!

"One Night in the Hague"
S7908IXsamuelv, 15 Février 2022

Perfect spotless room. With a nice balcony and spacious room. The personal at the hotel was very friendly. The breakfast was large and delicious with a lot of options. The free parking place was very handy. The hotel is placed in a nice neighborhood.

"Perfect hotel for a city trip to The Hague"
168AndrewH168, 13 Février 2022

Great hotel at a fantastic location. The hotel is situated near all embassies and perfect for a good walk to the city center. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were tidy and neat and the breakfast had everything we wanted. There are plenty of parking spots at the rear end of the hotel.

"Excellent Value for the money"
marichi50, 28 Juillet 2021

My husband and I just visited The Hague for the first time. The location of the Hotel was perfect for us, only two blocks from our son and daughter in law's apartment. The first room we were given had a beautiful view of the park and street but had no A/C. This room is the reason we are not giving the full 5 stars to the rooms. This tiny room needed tender love and care. The bathroom was updated but not the room itself. We asked for a change and it was done immediately. The next room was impeccable and tastefully decorated. Bathroom was updated as well. Breakfast was delicious and fresh with lots of options and staff was super friendly and provided great service. We recommend this cozy Hotel.

"Ideal"
OlgasChoice, 17 Octobre 2020

Perfect place. One of the best hotel mattresses I've slept on. Super clean room. Quiet area and lovely view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also a good place for travelling in den Haag and around (15 min from den Haag Centraal).

"Pls avoid Staying at this hotel"
sddam, 13 Septembre 2020

The hotel experience we had is by far the worst we have had for more than 2 decades in any hotel around the Globe! The staff was extremely non friendly. Root would be too positive a description. We have been traveling around Netherlands and been in multiple hotels prior to the one Night stay over in best Western. Nothing Can describe the non warmly welcome, the enemy like treatment, the atmosphere unbrlievable negative. Not only to ourselves but also what we picked up from listening to staff conversations to fellow guests. The postive notes would be that hot and warm water was working fine. The 220 volt also was flawless in the rooms. Imagine a stay in a prison correctional facility and you get the ghist of what the staff would be like. But most correctional facilities are teaching the staff basic human attitudes. Not here. The attitude was like the typical Karens you come across in the public space. Except that the agegroup is probably in the twenties so there is Maybe a future for beeing less friendly? Assume that management Will take action so that a future stay cannot be Ruled out. We stay hopeful that corrections Will be made ! Fingers crossed! Soren

"Greedy, non-human, non-COVID situation friendly"
J2518DBrobertac, 28 Août 2020

I wish the option of no star at all exists. This hotel is the most greedy, non-human, horrible place that I have ever heard about. I did not even have the chance to go there because I needed to make a cancelation. I made a reservation, which I would pay only in the day itself. However, my husband required a cancelation because I was having Corona symptoms and I did not want to put the hotel in risk. They charged us for a cancelation and for a booking that until then had not even been charged. After explaining to the Supervisor of the hotel the only thing they kept saying was: "but this is our policy and you have to pay". Place like this makes me feel sad and understand why business like this wont last another epidemic.

"Everything you could ask for"
69rupertd, 24 Février 2020

I got in late and was met by Lotta, Julia (and later Angelo). They explained, when I asked about food, that the kitchen was closed that they could cook some soup for me. It was awesome and such a nice gesture. They were friendly and made me feel at home. Seriously they weren't exaggerating about the soup, ask for it!

I thoroughly recommend this charming hotel in a smart area of Den Haag. The staff at reception on arrival and during my stay were very helpful and efficient. The room is very comfortable and clean with a comfy bed which is important to me. There is a room safe and a hanging area for clothes. The room is air conditioned with a hot towel rail in the bathroom. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh. Overall an excellent choice which I strongly.

"Very Central hotel"
MartinC2691, 09 Octobre 2019

Stayed in the Best Western Plus in The Hague for a week in October 2019. The hotel is very well situated in the centre if the city. Shops, restaurants, bsts etc ate on your doorstep. Room very nice and staff were excellent.

"A Little Gem"
sacw, 02 Octobre 2019

Recommended by friends to stay here and didn't regret it! Easy check in by nice staff. Large room with dito bathroom, two small balconies- very nice! Perfect cleaning. Buffet Breakfast in room near lobby, very nice view and a good selection of bread, jams and cold cuts. Scrambled eggs, bacon and other warm food available as well. Possibility to have fried eggs appreciated! Missed fresh juice! Very good coffee and tea from easy to handle machines. Marije very efficient and nice like the rest of the staff. I really recommend this hotel in such a great location and will be back next year for Prinsess Dag!

"Very nice stay"
Resort39101487787, 16 Septembre 2019

This hotel has a good location, not too far from The Hague historic downtown. Nice rooms and amazing breakfast. Very good service and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend going there for a business trip.

"A warm welcome and great customer service"
Badgersniff, 05 Septembre 2019

I stayed for one night at the Best Western as part of a business trip. Having arrived by train the hotel is a pleasant 30 min walk away or 10 mins in a car. On arrival reception staff were welcoming and i found my room and the facilities to be clean, tidy with everything working as it should. The free hotel WiFi did its job albeit occasionally dropping out but nothing problematic. Breakfast is buffet style with a good selection of fresh produce, some wonderful breads and freshly cooked eggs. Cereals, fruit, yogurts and a friendly face in the kitchen. We found ourselves with a couple of hours to spare from booking out till our afternoon meeting. Staff welcomed us into the dining area where we continued our business with a coffee 'on the house' followed by a snack lunch. The staff were engaging and most helpful. Food and service was great so no complaints from me and i would use this hotel again without a doubt. Highly recommended.

"Good Location"
DaiseeH, 01 Août 2019

It's a renovated place. Good value for money. If you plan to walk or bike for the most part, this location is excellent. We had a family room - a good sized room with a queen bed and a separated queen sofa pull out. Not the best, but teenagers don't care :) The value for money was excellent for the clean welcoming room Breakfast is standard. It's hot, nutritious and will keep you going till afternoon Staff is good. Fluent in English.

"Amazing customer service"
California_Jane789, 31 Juillet 2019

We loved the hotel, especially the customer service. Thanks to Joyce and especially Zarina we were able to see a lot in a short time we had in the city. Zarina gave us detailed instructions on where to go and how to get there. Both ladies were extremely friendly and professional. I am going to recommend this hotel to all my friends.

"Great breakfast"
Bosdotter, 12 Juillet 2019

I was happy to find a large breakfast with a wide selection to choose from. The room was large, and big enough for our family of four. The tram and bus stops only a few minutes from the hotel, and it only takes about 12-15 min to get to the city center.

"Friendly hotel in a quiet area"
Adrian L, 07 Juillet 2019

The hotel has many things a business traveler likes - convenient parking in the Streets, a familiar atmosphere due to the fact that it is located in some modified residential houses and a friendly area away from the standardized sleeping bunkers. Rooms are renovated in current design. For a one night stay a good value Proposition.

"Can do better"
mindfulmimilux, 21 Juin 2019

I stayed here for two nights on business. I admit it wasn't my first choice but nothing else was available in that area. I stayed in room 202 (2nd floor) which is a normal size but has a huge balcony. The bathroom is tiny and shower and toilet are very close together. Some features are not well thought through. No sink in bathroom but in the room and faucet totally not made for that kind of sink. This room is quiet but some colleagues stayed in rooms street side and it was noisy. Room had airco but some rooms don't. The floor above is wooden and this very noisy. Some of the staff was really friendly, one receptionist lady couldn't care less. Breakfast at 12,50 was OK but nothing special.

"Unfortunately"
Jan W, 15 Juin 2019

Unfortunately. I thought fixed hotel, call directly, save them the booking.com premium. Wanted the "better" room, we know the hotel. Prima was arranged. Reservation in the mail. OK 2 days in advance a mail: we had not paid. ?. Ok prepaid and mail answered. Upon arrival "no reservation". Mr. looked at the screen for a long time. Reservation was on paper next to him. System issue. I asked internally or externally. Ok, could have room 1, "great room" "Could I leave the suitcases in advance?" I'd rather not, be too many, OK. Whether parking could also be arranged. OK. would I have a place too? The Germans have more skill in that. We are coming back from a nice day. No parking space. At the counter. Two ladies pay more attention to the screen and the length of their nails than to the customer. Yes! she came out. Error, I solve it tomorrow. Park twice. No problem, her responsibility. Room disappointing, a lot of noise from the road, bathroom without ventilation, bit cramped. Sleep well. Breakfast fine. Day out. Return no parking. Also not double, a car was already double. Ah. Whether I could place it somewhere next to the building. True? She could just let go of the computer. Going outside if I could drive him through a narrow garage, quite tight. There were still crates in it. But the computer was still more important, she inside. Another attentive employee responded and took the crates away and kept an eye on it. Okay to bed. Until the middle of the night, almost in front of our window, some young ladies were busy chattering. The single glass did not stop sound. This all happened at the same distance from the possible night porter. During a conversation during breakfast we shared our experiences with an employee. She recognized it and thought it was a pity involvement. We checked out, complained and did not have to pay for the parking space. Ready. Sometimes the person could break away from the screen and look at us. Nice. Such a nice hotel what a shame. Could be our regular hotel if we went to The Hague again. A pity, a hotel is more than a building. Unfortunately

"Thankful for late checkin, but room was terrible."
Alex P, 22 Mai 2019

We got to Hoek de Holland quite late 22:00 trying to get a late sailing, but the ship has already gone. Searched 4 local hotels but all were telephone call for reception and none answered. Searched for a know name to try get some sleep and found a Best Western. Great.!! Even with 24h reception. But then things started to fall apart. During check-in they requested a 100euro security deposit because we were a late check-in. Receptionist explained the e100 would be return in cash in the morning. This was no good to me as we would be on a ship in the morning and needed it to be refunded back to my CC. Night receptionist did not know how to do this, neither did day reception who had to wait for a manager in the afternoon to do the refund. Stating new proceedures..!! Very poor. Took my email address and said they would confirm refund by email. Never happened..!! We got room 306/8. This was supposed to be a twin room. The room was so small that the beds were fully together with no means of separation. The beds themselves were small 2/3 singles with an over-sized materess topper, which made the bed unstable and made me and my sister feel as we were about to fall out of the beds. There was barely 30cm between the side of the bed and the bathroom door, to a tiny bathroom. Very uncomfortable to walk by. The bathroom was reasonably tidy, but rubbish was still in the bathroom bin and some human sputem on the shower wall. I washed this off quickly so my sister would not throw a dickie fit. This was not a twin room, at very best it was a single. Extra cost for parking 14euro and 14euro each for breakfast. Altogether a very poor and expensive room. I would have expected far better from a Best Western hotel.

"TERRIBLE"
sharplanin, 17 Mai 2019

The breakfast was very poor, the supermarket is too far, if you want to drink a water after 10-00, you may buy only a small bottle at the reception for 6 Euros. My room was very small, so I had to hang up the suit on electric teapot. My room was on the first floor, in front of vehicle parking and all vehicles that came into the parking flashed to my rooms by the lights. It was so noisy at the room that I heard how the guests are warking. The staff at the reception spoke English very poor. I ordered two rooms but the second person was sick and I called to the hotel to cancel the second room reservation, at the reception they told that it's OK, don't worry, we will take no charges for that, just come to us. When I arrived I asked them one more time - do I have to pay something for the second room cancellation - at the reception said no, just pay in cash for your room now. BUT at the check-out they took from my credit card the payment for the second room when I didn't have time to discuss besause of the flight early flight in the morning. MY RECOMMENDATION - NOT RECOMMEND. You may ordered better hotel for the cheapest price. I offen travel to Europol, and I will NOT RECOMMEND to ALL MY COLLEAGUES from ALL OTHER COUNTRIES - NOT RECOMMEND

"NOISY ROOM"
maxinemorgan1015, 08 Mai 2019

first night we were there we had been checked into a very small double and noise from single glazed window with traffic below was disturbing so we requested a room change and were allocated a room at the rear which was bigger. The room however had a whirring noise at night which could not be isolated and wasn't air conditioning which we switched off. The lift also was noisy which made a loud screech when it reached the top.

"Awesome staff!"
Wander66761985897, 20 Avril 2019

Staff is amazing. They happily ordered cabs for us to get to dinner. They brought us blankets to keep warm while our family enjoyed some drinks outside. They actively seek to make their guests feel welcome.

"small friendly and clean hotel"
GrandTour24108499010, 12 Mars 2019

This is a small but great hotel. We stayed in the main building where the rooms are newer. It was clean and tidy. The breakfast was delicious and freshly made - presented nicely every morning. Any request made was immediately dealt with or done for us. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. The rooms aren't too big but for us it was enough for business trip. The location is great not on a major road so not noisy but close/walking distance to shops and restaurants (5-10minutes)

"Excellent choice"
tudorv467, 23 Février 2019

Very clean, pretty large room, comfortable bed, pretty good and diverse breakfast , 80 eur by night with taxes , I think it is a good choice for this city in compairison with many other location. Surelly I,ll come back if needed again

"Just fine for a citytrip"
Ronald R, 08 Janvier 2019

Nice, classic, hotel near the centre of The Hague. You can walk within 10 minutes to the centre. We booked an economy room. The room was situated on the 3rd floor, reachable with an elevator but we took the beautiful stairs. Room was quite small but tidy and clean. Bathroom is clean and good. Coffee and tea are available in the room. Breakfast is good: enough to choose from and very divers. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Overall a good place to stay for a good price. WIFI is good and free, also on the 3rd floor. Parking your car is €12,50 a day at the back of the hotel, secured behind a gate - only for visitors of the hotel.

"Could be better"
TWanKin, 07 Juillet 2018

OK hotel. Spacious rooms, no floor carpet and pretty decent looking. Just 4 km away from the beach. Down side is the noise. One can hear people walking on the stairs, banging doors, noise from cars outside. Light from the corridor is flooding the room via gaps on the door.

"Quirky Hotel "
graham_s121012, 08 Juin 2018

Stayed here for one night whilst on business, the main part of the hotel has recently been renovated and my colleague stayed in one of these rooms however I was in the building next door which hasn't been renovated and therefore showed it's age compared to the main building. The room itself was clean and comfortable however breakfast isn't worth the extra money as the selection is very poor.

"beware"
awood747707, 01 Juin 2018

make sure you view your room size before confirming your price and booking. the hotel is situated close to the city centre useing public transport with frequent trams and buses. The area is very peaceful and you can relax in a small park across from the hotel or it is pleasant enough to sit out on the hotel frontage

"Best choise between center and beach."
Jan W, 21 Mai 2018

A nice refurbished hotel. Not to small, not to big. Comfortable rooms which are brand new. Breakfast is good. Situated between beach and city center. For a very good price. The staff is very friendly and the in and out check is very fast.

"Brand new refurbishment, great staff, great price!"
David R, 16 Mai 2018

Lovely little hotel which has just been refurbished from top to bottom in a modern contemporary style (but has still kept the exterior old world charm). Lot's of super helpful staff, wonderful breakfast, and in a great location for the World Forum (not so close to the City centre), and the international embassies. Quiet location, so peaceful at night, and the hotel itself is spotless. Highly recommended for a more boutique hotel experience compared to the "big chains". PS: Fast free wifi too!

"Den Haag Best Western"
obecht153988, 07 Mai 2018

We, my friend and I stayed at the Best Western Den Haag during our visit to the Netherlands and were very pleased. It's about a 5 minute bus ride to city center but there are parks and a wonderful shopping district close by. We had a great view and the entire staff was amazing! They treated us like old friends and were so helpful with anything we asked.

"charming family-like atmosphere"
WorldTravelOne, 07 Février 2018

The rooms are spacious and the hotel consists of multiple villa-like buildings some with a street between them. We crossed a street to get from our hotel door to the part of the hotel where the breakfast room is. Our room was recently renovated and had nice floors and new tiles in the bathroom. Part of the room was still untouched by the renovation, so it was a mix between the seventies/eighties and ultramodern now. The staff was helpful and pleasant. We would stay here again.

"Traditional but modern for a nice stay"
TripMember04282015, 20 Janvier 2018

The Hotel is located in an old building but the property made an effort for modern interior design and the final effect is very nice. Breakfast, when not already included in the hotel rate, can be purchased at reasonable price and both variety and quality are good for a nice start of the day. During my stay I had the occasion to appreciate the kindness of the personnel that - in fixing an issue I had in my room - went beyond my expectations.

"Great 2 Night Stay"
Greg B, 24 Décembre 2017

Great place to stay, not far from city + easy bus ride into city to see all sights. Coastline was an easy tram ride out for Mussels and quick dinner. Petit is an easy walk to small eclectic group of local shops where the restaurants and food/wine was great. Its was nice to be in a smaller hotel that was owner/operated.

"Never again!"
sh0rtbreakqueen, 27 Août 2017

Normally stay with my son and his family nearby, but this time it was more practical to choose a hotel. On arrival I was reasonably happy until I took a closer look at the bedroom and bathroom. Honestly the place was so dirty I could not accept the state of the room I had been given. I immediately informed reception, and the lady manager went to look and accepted that the room/ bathroom were unacceptable, and did have it all cleaned again, to some extent. I was very uncomfortable there even after the dusting etc had been done and can only say on the positive side, that the bed was very comfortable. The ladies on evening duty on each of the three nights I was there, were charming and helpful, but were responsible for everything in the bar and reception. Not my happiest hotel experience, and no advertisement for Best Western, which I thought would be a good omen. Never again.

"Pleasant stay in an impressive neighborhood"
JoranQuinten, 08 Août 2017

Booked one night with my wife at hotel Petit. Rented bikes to explore the sights of The Hague (recommend this!). Parking at the hotel is tricky, I would recommend parking nearby. We stayed in a deluxe room with sauna and jacuzzi, which was very warming after returning to the hotel drenched from the rain. Checkout time is 12.00, so we enjoyed a morning run through nearby Scheveningse Bosjes and relaxed or muscles in the sauna afterwards. Breakfast is ok, but not as varied as I would like. Staff and service were helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and tidy (with complementary Haagse Hopjes) and great atmosphere!

"Great Comfort and Value"
Kevinjm48, 30 Juin 2017

A very conveniently situated hotel for the world forum and surrounding area. Pleasant neighbourhood and nearby tram route to city. Comfortable quirkily decorated rooms that are peaceful. Very helpful and accommodating staff, great coffee and nice breakfasts.

"Average Hotel"
RomanovTraveller, 31 Mai 2017

We took a quadruple room. Not quite accurate as it was two double beds one of which was a 'pull-out' sofa. There was a patio which was filthy. The cleaner clearly did not feel like sweeping up. The price (€165.00 plus taxes per night) did not include breakfast. The room was not cleaned until we complained. The Hotel was not central - needed to walk a long way to get into the centre. I am not sure we would stay again. It was extremely expensive for a mediocre 3 star Hotel with cleanliness issues. The bathroom was fine. Also, there was no air-conditioning so the room was very stuffy at night.

"Great "
Anna M, 16 Mai 2017

The hotel is great as well the localization in the Hague. We got a room with a great bay window and we loved it. The room was very clean, spacious. We loved it's decorations and the overall look of the hotel. The service very kind and friendly.

"Pet Friendly, ...Dog Approved"
JonathanA_stuttgart, 13 Mai 2017

The Best Western Hotel Petit, while conduring up images of a chain hotel in the states, this was nothing of the sort. The building was a beautiful brick structure with historical elements found in facets such as the stained glass windows and wooden shutters. The location is walking distance to the Peace Palace in a safe, quiet neighborhood, which seemed mostly to be surrounded by foreign embassies. We were given a upgraded room with a large bath and sauna, but our favorite perk was a doggy gift bag. There are no shortage of hotels where dogs are permitted, but it was nice for my boy Bruno to get a treat bag during Check-in.

"Wonderful stay"
yvonnevaneijden, 18 Avril 2017

We had a wonderful time in hotel Petit. The rooms are very nice we love the breakfast and the staff is very sweet. It's located in a very beautiful neighborhood close to the peace palace all in walking distance. If you like to walk you can walk to the beach and downtown, but you also can take the street car. We absolutely loved it and we will go back one day....

"Great support by the petit team!"
Didi v, 10 Avril 2017

we were very happy when we saw the Hotel Petit - the surrounding buildings of ambassadors around the globe, then the beautiful interior of the house built 1898 - and then the great support by the Hotel staff: parking the car, getting the internet connection, handling the tricky elevator, getting bus tickets to the city center or the beach. We will come back!

"Lovely people run this hotel!"
Dominic T, 15 Mars 2017

The manager of the hotel - Emma - is absolutely delightful, helpful, and very welcoming. The hotel is located in a peaceful neighborhood next to a lovely park. Brigitte, who works at the reception is charming and also exceptionally helpful. The hotel is a peaceful place to recover from a long day.

"Surprising Upgrade, Wonderful Staff"
Maura4u, 02 Février 2017

When I checked in at reception, the staff realized they'd made a mistake, having anticipated my arrival the following day. Since my intended room was already booked for the night, they upgraded me to their Ambassador Room (a mini suite) equipped with jacuzzi tub and dry sauna. The welcoming staff was most accommodating, keeping me in the same room throughout my stay at no additional cost. A surprising and very pleasing experience, indeed! If you enjoy the more intimate experiences of European hotels, check this one out.

"Going to Den Haag, I would stay again."
beecomm, 02 Janvier 2017

The hotel did fit our requirements. Visiting a daughter, we only did stay there to sleep. Thus a good bed, cleanness and a easy way to get to the center was essential. The staff was friendly. The building and the atmosphere, I liked most.

"Nice hotel"
WW54321, 29 Septembre 2016

It is located in a very nice area in The Hague. This area is a bit far from The Hague center station but there is a tram station, very closed to the hotel, that can take you to the center station in 15 minutes. The hotel rooms are clean. They have a very weird, so slow elevator. I found the staff not very friendly. The hotel has a good price compared to other hotels in The Hague.

"Poor"
ColinF6, 19 Septembre 2016

The friendly reception was the best aspect of my stay. I had a tiny room at the top of the house, heavily intruded by eaves. The single bed was tiny and uncomfortably positioned. The 'lift' was a steel platform on top of a hoist - you need to hold the button down all the time and if not it stopped between floors! It didn't feel too safe. The buffet breakfast €10 was a rip off - poor quality coffee and a slice of bread and jam should cost half as much. They try hard but this place needs serious tlc and a review of its pricing policy. Not recommended, sadly.

"Welcome at friends"
salamander82, 09 Septembre 2016

I love this little cozy hotel very much. We stayes their for one night only. The building is amazing, a tipical dutch house. The ladies who work at this hotel are more then friendly. They tread you like friends and welcome you like you do it at home with your friends. The staff is very freindly and helpfull. The have parking tickets prepaired at the check in desk and you can even rent really good bikes with them. The hotel has a nice outside patio for a coffee or breakfast. The rooms are lovely furnished. Every room is unique and modern / comfortable equipped. By bike it took as 10 mins to go to the beach or the city center of Den Haag. Thank you very much!

"Most enjoyable"
Carlos L, 02 Septembre 2016

This is the third time I stayed at Hotel Petit and I am most pleased with the building atmosphere, friendly staff, beautifuly surrounded by gardens and canals, comfortable rooms some of them with wonderful views, spacious showers and very good breakfast that offers the possibility to taste poffertjes one of traditional Dutch delicacies which I have not found at others hotels in Holland.

"People make places"
Legobump, 17 Août 2016

My room was small, it was at the top of 3 flights of stairs, I even arrived to a locked door. All my dealings with the staff were great. Helpful, friendly and willing to help. From breakfast to a beer, or an offer of coffee. All in all 100% from the staff. My room was fine. A single bed, a desk a bathroom, I didn't need anything else, and the view in the sunshine was amazing. A nice area, a good location and great staff, and I'm sure the updated rooms are great. A special thank you to Hannah, so nice to take 5 minutes to chat and say hello. I'm sure all the staff would be the same. A very nice little hotel with a really nice team.

"Very Run Down with Excellent Service"
Laura B, 26 Juillet 2016

The staff at this hotel were wonderful and the breakfast was quite good. However our room was the worst by far of anywhere we stayed in Europe. The room was dingy and stuffy. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the bathroom old and drab. The carpets and furnishing all looked somewhat worn and dirty. I have only given it an average rating because of the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. It is a shame the hotel is in such poor condition.

"Den Haag accomodation"
Bernadette M, 28 Juin 2016

Marvellous top class accommodation, spacious and equipped with every comfort including jacuzzi and sauna. This hotel is located in a vibrant neighbourhood - park beauty and bus at front door. This home away from home really is a brief trip to city and beach and just around the corner from the Peace Palace.Owners warm, welcoming and generous.

"Lovely clean hotel, with extra care for details."
Cimpoies D, 22 Juin 2016

The hotel is located in a very nice and quiet area, stayed there for 3 nights, in a lovely room, very clean, with a lot of care for details. The room smelled very nice, it had a wonderful view to a small park and lake. The staff was very helpful.

"A friendly hotel in one of the most beautiful parts of The Hague"
gert866, 09 Juin 2016

Nice small hotel in the embassy area of the Hague. People of the hotel are very friendly. Room with a good shower and good bed. It's an old villa, so nice big windows to open. All in all we had a very pleasant stay!

"OLD BUILDING & SLIGHTLY OUT OF THE WAY LOCATION"
Ianfung, 05 Juin 2016

Stayed for 2 nights at the old building and water was dripping from the false ceiling! So naturally changed room and they put me on a ground floor room at the building next door. The room has much better decoration and even have a small patio area outside: very nice! Parking is free on the road opposite ( 50 m away )....

"Hidden Gem"
BeckaBKK, 28 Mai 2016

I booked this hotel for 1 night when everything else around the Hague was fully booked, I ended up extending my stay to 2 weeks because I liked it so much. I said in the Suite that had a spa bath, sauna, his/her sinks, king size bed, mini bar. The hotel only offers breakfast but are more than helpful in directing you to the nearest restaurants or assisting with food delivery. It is not the most modern hotel but it has a certain charm and warmth a lot of other hotels lack. The staff were very warm and welcoming as well. There is onsite parking, or you can get a windscreen parking permit from the hotel for €10 per day. There is free parking just across the road which is great if you have a car. Parking in Holland costs a kings ransom! Overall this quaint place is highly recommended for all types of travellers. It should be noted there isn't 24/7 onsite reception for those looking for last minute late night check-ins.

"Just nice"
PaddyKar, 18 Mai 2016

This is an old place with old style charm. The staff try hard for you and are friendly. The room is good for a weekend trip but a little cramped for longer term travellers with bigger luggage bags. The bed was firm and comfortable but we didn't like the pillows ( we thought they were small and soft and, to be fair, we didn't enquire about changing them). The bathroom was very big and the shower was good. Breakfast was good with a wide range and fair priced. Restaurants and shops are close by. NO on-site parking and kerb side parking is metered. Free parking is about 400 metres away, which we used, BUT there are 3 sets of nesting ducks in the canal on the walk back to the hotel and they are a real entertainment to watch. All up - just nice

"Comfortable hotel, nice location"
Helen S, 16 Mai 2016

Our room was three floors up, in the eaves of the hotel. Steep stairs not suitable for all but a lift available. The room was clean and comfortable with en suite shower room. Mini bar (which we did not want), tea and coffee making facilities though powdered milk. Comfortable bed, good desk/dressing table area. Bar area in the breakfast room, Friendly staff. Free wifi but slow. Location a nice area but a fair step into town. Asked for public transport info as bus stops outside of hotel but was told to ask for this when I wanted to get somewhere. I wanted general info to plan where I could go and how to get there.

"Warm Home away from home"
Linda H, 07 Mai 2016

Hotel Petit makes its guests feel as if they have a home in Den Haag. Staying there is truly enjoyable. This was my 4th or possibly 5th stay and I would stay no where else. The location is superb and it is in a quieter area near The Peace Palace but well located for anything one would wish to do in The Hague.

"Small but comfortable hotel"
Glenda_E_J, 12 Avril 2016

This is a small hotel of only a few rooms but dont let that fool you, its a very charming small hotel. their reception is very friendly and helpful, we have made a last minute and he is very helpful to see what is possible. The rooms are old but they have made sure it holds the best western standard of cleanliness, comfortable sheets and bed. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and we even extended another night.

"Enjoyed every minute of our stay"
Kira_UA, 06 Avril 2016

Great experience overall, very recommended. Location: located very close to the Peace Palace, and walking distance to Hague central part. There is street parking right near the hotel that is free after the midnight, so we payed just a couple of euros for couple of hours till the midnight. Area is very nice full of historical buildings from Netherlands golden age occupied by embassies. There is a nice tiny park in front of the hotel. Staff is super friendly and nice. We were checking in with a small dog and they made this time really special for us giving our pet a very special and warm welcome. Elevator of the hotel is a fun and unusual experience. Our room was large and very cozy. Furniture in excellent condition, everything working properly. There is a mini bar in the room and tea/coffee making facilities. As I said in the beginning - great hotel, very recommended, super pet friendly!

"Tiny basic hotel, nice service"
Tim V, 23 Mars 2016

Me and my partner stayed here for one night. The hotel is very small, and located in and old house just outside of The Hague city center. The hotel is easily reachable with public traffic. The neighborhood, is very silent and green, and is only 10 minutes away from the city center. The room was nice, had all the basics you expect from a simple hotel room and was nicely furnished. The information folder on the desk in the room was little bit outdated (some information was not updated in a while). There was a lot of information about the neighborhood and the city itself available, which was a nice addition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us a discout coupon for a local attraction we wanted to visit. Also in the morning of check out, we needed a little more time, and I called the reception to ask if it was ok to check out 30 minutes later than the check out deadline. This was no problem at all, and it was free of charge (usually a late check out will cost €20). We did not have breakfast in the hotel, as we thought that €10 per person for a simple continental breakfast was a tad overpriced, and we enjoyed our breakfast elsewhere.

"A small but very nice hotel in e very ice neighbourhood"
PieterJV, 15 Mars 2016

Hotel Petit is located in a very nice area in The Hague (Statenkwartier). It is not big but full of history. Though the hotel is rated as a three star hotel, the rooms have all the amenities you could wish for (coffee maker, even a small fridge). Public transport close by (tram, bus) which will bring you in 10 minutes to either the city or the train station. And in five minutes to the beach! The best shopping street of the Hague (Frederik Hendriklaan) is a five minutes walk away.

"Fine hotel in Jugendstil neighbourhood"
JWG_080353, 28 Décembre 2015

My handicapped partner and I stayed for one night at Hotel Petit in order to attend a function around the corner. The hotel dated from the Jugendstil period - not exactly a time frame that handicapped people were extensively catered for. We got room #1 at the ground floor - no stairs, except for a few steps at the entrance. Breakfast was not included, and the hotel was a bit pricy for what you got, but otherwise OK. The significant "minus" were the beds, with very soft mattresses which were a pain to get up from the next morning.

"What a place! Excellent that exceeds all expectations!"
Lizza D, 28 Novembre 2015

I'm a habitual tripadvisor user but until now i never made the time to write a review but this place has absolutely inspired me to! Never have I stayed in a more welcoming hotel and I have traveled a ton for business/pleasure! Set in a charming, historic mansion on a picturesque pond that is close to everything you need in The Hague but still quiet would be enough of a reason to give this place high marks. The well kept, attractive, clean rooms with nice views and comfy beds/pillows would also be enough but what makes this place a five star review on top of all of this is.....the staff. They go above and beyond any expectation to make your stay not only seamless but exceptional. They are thoughtful and caring on a level that is just beyond words. Seems like a lot of superlatives, I know but Im serious! This place is an absolute gem! It also gives the feeling of an inn-boutique hotel-bed and breakfast, doesn't feel corporate at all, feels like a dedicated family-ran place and run it with great passion and dedication, they do! Highly recommended! A++++

"Beautiful area but really small"
A K, 14 Novembre 2015

2 nights in November 2015 with late arrival. Reception empty. Very dark at midnight and no good description were there room was. I needed to go out and find the room in another building. Big quite cold room at street level. Enourmous smell from towels, probably to much washing softener. High price and no comfort. Would not stay here again.

"nice but rotten customers policy"
Solène G, 13 Septembre 2015

It's not this hotel's policy to show concern and interest in their clients, even a returning one. I was rushed into hospital on the day of my booking, I phoned, emailed... sent a proof that I was really hospitalized, no can do, even a rescheduling of my trip didn't change anything, they simply charged the room even if I had booked through BestWestern and with a flexible rate... It may be a nice hotel as far as settings go, but it certainly has a rotten customers' policy. So if you book there make sure you have extra insurance to cover your stay.

"Excellent stay in the city of peace and justice."
shyh1, 14 Août 2015

The staffs were friendly and very kind. They just provided us the new double bed mattress which was perfectly comfort. The location is calm, peaceful and beautiful place. Good size quiet room with tea and coffee facilities. Good location for attending the World Forum.

"Pleasant stay"
muchtocee, 05 Mai 2015

My family and i stayed here for one evening. Just a short get away. We chose the location based on a previous stay. Den Hague is a lovely town, on the waters edge, beaches with a small boardwalk, and lots of places to ride your bikes. It's only about a 30-40 minute drive up to see the famous flower gardens of the Netherlands. I had booked 2 rooms for my family of 5, upon arriving, our rooms were in 2 separate buildings, this was not going to work when you have young children. However, the staff was quite accommodating and upgraded our room so to place us side by side. She then informed me, if I had booked directly with the hotel online, or called, that we could have been placed in one family room(which I would have preferred). This is helpful to know for future visits. The rooms were clean and spacious, one with a street view, the other with a small patio. A lovely garden out front allows a spot to sit and have a cup of tea. Breakfast is served in the morning, at a fee- we opted not to have breakfast, the price wasn't fantastic(though free for children under 15) The upgraded room had wonderful amenities, even a sauna in the bathroom! Along with bath robes, dvd player with movies to choose from, and a coffee maker in the room for expressos. Parking is provided street side, they do have a VERY small parking lot on the premise for about 2 cars, so more thank likely you would opt to park on the street for about 10euro. Location is key, as mentioned, walking distance to the beach, close to the city center and several restaurants nearby. Overall a good stay, I just wished I would have known about only needing to book one room for our family, would have been quite helpful. Oh and I do believe they also have bikes you can rent- from the looks of them, they were in good shape.

"So so hotel in The Hague"
N6174CXmicheleb, 17 Avril 2015

Good location but average/small room. Bad Internet service in the room, dim lighting, sloppy housekeeping. Towels not changed, even when left on the floor; took three days to replace lightbulb; very nice breakfast, although they charge 10 euros/day/person, which is rare in Europe. Price was good. It's rated as a 3 star hotel but .....
