« A clean hotel 15 mins from the airport. »

When I arrived there had been a problem with my room booking, not I might add the fault of the hotel. The receptionist was extremely helpful and even though they were fully booked she checked all the no shows and found me a room. The hotel was clean the food very good, the room was basic but acceptable. This is a good budget hotel.

« Nice hotel, near to the airport »

We stayed here for one night, since we had to catch a flight from Oslo in the morning. Getting to the airport in the morning was convenient, took about 10 min (we had a car). Oslo is a bit far, about 40-50 min by car, we went there to have dinner. Other than that everything was good, the hotel is comfortable and modern. Would recommend if you need to stay near the airport.

« Only stay here if you are on your honeymoon! »

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. Courteous staff, good food, kettle in room, plugs by bed etc etc. BUT there is literally nothing to do - no gym, glitchy internet access. It is situated in the middle of nowhere, next to a motorway, nowhere to go..It is Norway so the drinks are expensive.and a taxi into town is prohibitive. I wouldn't stay here again unless I had plenty to occupy me in my room!!

    « Great Hotel!! »

We visited the hotel for a family wedding, it is truly the best hotel we have stayed in. Fantastic service from the staff, free tea & coffee 24/7, the best ever breakfast in any hotel I have been and very good evening meals. We will come over again if only to stay there.

« Good location for airport »

The hotel is conveniently situated just off the E6 and about 15 minutes drive to Gardemeon Airport. There is plenty of free parking available. The hotel has a breakfast buffet, evening meal buffet and bar. The breakfast buffet was good and the evening buffet was plentiful with a salad bar, 2 choices of main course and 3 different dessert - the price included coffee. Although the price was a fixed price there was plenty of choice available. The room had a flat screen tv, clean en suite shower room, 2 easy chairs and tea and coffee making facilities. The only negative was that the 2 single beds were very narrow.

    « Easy airport access »

We stayed here prior to returning our hire car at the airport at the end of our holiday. Rooms were comfortable and clean, but there was only 1 electric socket - nowhere near the mirror - and the air con didn't seem to be working. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and fresh.

« Nice hotel, however steap prices on dinner »

Stayed here one night for business. Nice enough hotel, modern and nice room. Staff were polite. What lets it down is the dinner buffet, which is OKAY at best. However not worth 249 kr, which is expensive even by Norwegian standards. If you're here only for a layover, then I'd recommend staying at an airport hotel, though I know the hotel has an airport shuttle service.

« Great base for exploring Oslo »

A very reasonably priced hotel with all the conveniences one would expect from a modern hotel. It is very clean with up to date furnishings. The staff is helpful and the breakfast (included in the rate) has a wide selection of delicacies. If so desired, making a sandwich for lunch from the breakfast buffet was more or less expected. A staff member even brought out a plastic bag for packing it. For us the main advantage was the easy access to Oslo by train if you have a rental car. The train goes from Eidsvoll Verk, 6 km north of the hotel, on a frequent schedule and takes about 30 minutes. For seniors the fare is about $6 each way per person.

    « Great hotel!! »

We had a layover in Oslo on our way to Paris and we stayed here. To start off, the food was amazing, the staff is very friendly.. especially --Christer and Siv and who arranged plans for us to do when we had a couple of hours untill we had to leave for the airport. I would really recommend everyone to stay here when given the chance.

« BRILLIANT Stay: Luxurious Breakfasts, Beautiful Scenery, Super Cool Rooms »

They went crazy with the breakfast thing. I've been to many a Best Western, and threw down many a stale pastry with my nose pinched and eyes closed, but this place inspired me to see hotel breakfasts in a whole new way . . . it showed me how perfect things could really be, which will make booking hotels a greatly saddening experience from now on, as I can never really experience that again. Let me explain. There was damned caviar . . . for what, I don't know, but its very presence brought tears to my eyes. There was freshly baked nutmeg bread, salmon so iconic that I could probably name the river it grew up in, heavenly slices of watermelon, cantaloupe, and orange; I wallowed in these meals with years of repressed joy beginning to bubble in my throat, and grabbing a chef by the arm, I whispered, "Thank you." On the very last day, they all gathered around the breakfast buffet, putting away plates and cups after another hard day. I praised their work to the highest of standards and asked if they'd be doing this forever. One said, "If people respond to it well, then yes. This hotel is the experimental starting point for the new Best Breakfast line by Best Western. We're glad you loved it." Come to Norway. Even though Norway sucks, come here for this hotel.

« Basic and NOT an airport hotel »

The hotel was basic, the breakfast nice, the room comfortable without straying into luxurious or stylish. The main problem was that we assumed the hotel was an airport hotel, as advertised by booking.com and the hotel itself. Arriving in after midnight to the airport, we had no other way of getting to the hotel than the taxis, who didn't immediately recognise the hotel or address, which was slightly unnerving. Then, £58 later and a 20mins drive encompassing one wrong turn, we arrived at the hotel at last. Needless to say, the outrageous price for the journey almost outstripped the cost of the hotel itself. To add mild insult to fairly minor injury, the walk to the Dal train station the next day ended up being along a road with almost no footpath.

« Overnight stop between flights »

We had to get a taxi from the airport (NOK 750) because our flight arrived too late to get the shuttle. It was a 15-20 minute taxi ride. We had 2 rooms which were both fine. The breakfast was very nice and the shuttle back to the airport the next morning was good (NOK 70 per person) - although you're supposed to book it 24 hours in advance (we didn't but still managed to get it).

« Dismal location, bad dinner food, NOT an airport hotel, not friendly »

Cons The location is dismal. While not advertised as an airport location, it does come up as one of the closest hotels to the Oslo airport being 15 minutes away by taxi. The site advertises a shuttle, but the hours are minimal - so we were forced to use a taxi each way. The taxi fee one way is 750NKR. Basically, a round trip in a taxi to and from the airport costs more than one night at this hotel. There is LITERALLY NOTHING to do, eat, or see near the hotel. The food for dinner (again, there are not alternative restaurants nearby) was awful and overpriced - for $20usd/person we were given no choice other than boiled potatoes, meatballs, and sauerkraut. Additionally, the receptionist could not find our reservation for several minutes. We did not find her pleasant in any way. Thankfully, we had everything printed out and remained calm. There is no air conditioning and opening the windows results in a lot of road noise. Pros The wifi was free and strong throughout the building. The breakfast buffet was MUCH better than the dinner buffet.

« A nice hotel to spend the night »

I spent three nights at Best Western Letohallen Hotel in juli 2015, and it was for the most a quite nice stay. I arrived a bit early, but was still allowed to check-in. I got a room in the old building, situated right above the outdoor terasse, which turned out to be a quite noisy affaire during the evenings/night. There's no air conditioning in the old building, and the room was quite warm, but because of the noise outside, I had to keep the window closed to be able to sleep, even with ear plugs. But enough about that; the room was a quite large, had a single-bed, a small desk, a mirror a wardrobe and two comfortable chairs, not to mention a quite nice TV (not too many channels thought). The bed and linens were very comfortable, and apart from the noise outside I got a good night's sleep. There's no minibar, so there wasn't any place to store drinks. The bathroom was of normal size, had lots og space around the sink for toiletries, clean towels and a proper shower. The breakfast buffet is pretty appetizing, but for someone who eats gluten free - very disappointing. There's bread, crackers and crumbs all over, and they've situated crackes ABOVE the fruit, meaning that all the fruit is contaminated with crumbs, unsuitable for someone with celiac disease. A god tip for the hotel would be to keep all the gluten-containing food (breads, crackers etc) separated from the rest of the food. Apparently they had gluten free bread, but what I was served looked and tasted just liked regular bread (someone else in my travel company gave it a try), and the server seemed to have no idea what gluten free actually meant ("I think this is gluten free!"), so I didn't dare to eat it. At dinner, I asked what was gluten free, but didn't get a really clear answer ("I think this is gluten free..."), and there was cross-contamination with cutlery all over the buffet (pasta salad next to regular salad, using the same spoon for serving), meaning that eating dinner was a quite risky business (not to mention quite expensive (300 NOK) since I couldn't eat half of what was there, and there was no gluten free dessert). The others in my travel company said that everything was delicious, and I trust them on their word, but it's disappointing that a hotel doesn't have better routines for guests with food allergies/intolerances in 2015. There's a nice bar/waiting area by the reception, with comfortable chairs - a nice place to sit and chat in the evenings. The hotel allows animals, but be sure to mention that when you order. There's nice outside areas to walk the dogs, and plenty of parking (free), so it's definitely a nice place to stay if you bring dogs. :) Be aware that the hotel is situated quite far from the airport, so you need some form of transportation to get there, and if you need a place directly by the airport, this isn't the place to stay.

« Along way from Oslo Airport »

Disappointing. This is advertised as an airport hotel! NO WAY.... Firstly the taxi driver had NO CLUE where this hotel was, we were driving around and around passed mid night!!! It was a 25 mins drive from the airport. The receptionist was asleep and therefore forgot my early morning wake up call... But she did remember to book my early morning taxi. Clean, small room - nothing more to say. I would not recommend this grossly over priced sleeping machine.
