    « Very nice stay »

Very nice stay. Quiet, clean and friendly. Good location and priced reasonably. Would recommend to travelers. Staff was accommodating, beds firm and clean. Shower was mediocre but overall happy with stay.

    « Reservation »

Tried to make reservation for family members, by the time I filed out all information needed the site timed out and I had start from the beginning. Bad web site design! Finally I vhose a different hotel.

    « Value for money »

We stayed for one night on a touring vacation. Room nice and clean, had a problem with WiFi, which was sorted out for me. good place to stay, plenty of eating places around. Very good breakfast, good assortment of things to eat and drink. Very well maintained breakfast room.

    3
    « nothing fancy »

This is an older hotel or appears to be. check in met with a less than helpful staff member, her clothes were wrinkled and appearance and manner were less than what you would expect. the rooms are clean but drab. The grounds were clean but also drab with no Holiday displays like surrounding businesses. The breakfast staff was friendly and helpful but others seemed to be ho hum about the job they hold. Hard bed.

    4
    « Clean, comfy beds »

My bias is toward cleanliness and comfortable beds. This property has both. I rate mattress comfort 8 of 10 and they have actual firm pillows along with softer ones. The room and property were very clean. The breakfast attendant was exceptionally positive and friendly which is great in the morning. They have a new coffee and hot water dispenser that makes the coffee fresh. It wasn't fantastic coffee, but it was fresh and hot. The breakfast food however was just mediocre. There was no real butter (instead a "whipped spread" which is toxic), there was no cream cheese. They do have the make your own waffles if you are into that. We had a second floor room at the back of the property which was quiet albeit dated. The floor shook and vibrated the bedside table lamp every time we moved around and I thought the folks below us were probably not enjoying that. The staff overall was excellent and very oriented toward customer service. This property is 20 minutes away from West Sedona and makes a good alternative at half the price.

    « Rails & Ales »

This was our first stay at this property. We requested a first floor room and booked a handicapped room as this property does not have an elevator. The hotel has a large parking lot to park right near your room which is great. The rooms all have outside corridors. There is a restaurant that is right in the parking lot in front called Plaza Bonita which we ate dinner at and watched the TV( Cubs baseball) in the bar area. Wonderful food and service and convenient. The staff was pleasant at check in. The room had a queen bed, a table with 2 chairs, a handicap bathroom with pull down bench seat in the walk in shower -although my DH managed to get water all over the floor, so be careful, and a refrigerator. The breakfast was good the next morning and the place was packed about 8 to 8:30am(because I went to go get coffee) on a Saturday, but we waited closer to 9am to actually go get breakfast when both of us were dressed/showered and ready and not too busy. There was sausage patties, a cheese omelet, & make your own waffles for the hot dish and cereal, mini muffins, yogurt, coffee, juice, water, milk. The pool and hot tub were closed for the winter, they are outside. Good thing I didn't bring my suit for the hot tub. Would be nice if they left the pool area open for just the hot tub, but they are behind a fence together. The weather was not too cold yet, so not sure why it was closed? There is one washer and one dryer coin operated in a little alcove on the outside by the pool for guest use. For a 1 night stay it was perfect place for us after riding the Verde Canyon train for their Ales on the Rails. The price was about what we wanted to pay. If in the area again we would consider staying.

    « Very Good Experience »

We stayed here one night while visiting local wineries and Jerome. The hotel is conveniently located on the main highway next to a Mexican restaurant. Check in was quick and friendly. When I asked for a quiet room, as a Best Western member, I was offered a free upgrade to a Casita in the back. It was a very quiet, large room. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and the TV/Internet worked fine. Breakfast had a reasonable assortments of eggs, waffles, cereals and breads, as at most moderate priced hotels. Who could ask for more from a Best Western?

    5
« Friendly and helpful staff »

The check in was smooth, and the lady at the desk was very attentive to our needs. The breakfast was great, and the lady taking care of the breakfast area was very friendly and brightened our day. Recommended!

« Just an average hotel. »

This is just an average hotel in Cottonwood, which I think is all there is in this town. The rooms were decent and clean. Our room was at the back of the motel, but we had noisy neighbors one night, and could practically hear their conversation just on the other side of the wall, that's how thin the walls are. There also seemed to be a lot of single males staying here, so I think this hotel must be where a lot of utility workers stay when they are in town. We would have liked to use the spa, but there were always men in there, and me and my mother never felt comfortable with that idea. I did not like it when the cleaning person took away my roll of Charmin toilet paper either. I would stay in another nearby town if I came to this area again.

    3
    « Cottonwood »

just ok. Good location but an older property in need of updating. Staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. There are not a lot of options in Cottonwood. Can't beat the location. Close to Sedona too. We took the Verde Valley Railroad trip and really liked Ol Town Cottonwood which we only a few miles away. We stayed in what they called a "Casita". This room was very quiet.

    « Comfortable »

The place was nice and clean. The Continental breakfast was pretty decent. If you need a place to stay for overnight then I suggest this place. It's located about the middle of town with plenty of restaurants close by to eat.

    4
« Quiet, comfortable and good location »

The location was very good for visiting the Sedona and surrounding areas. Nights were quiet. Breakfast bar quite busy with fairly limited seating. Easy parking. A complimentary small map of the area would be such a big help as the Hwy. signs don't always state: North, or South along with town locations.

    5
    « Really Nice Hotel »

We were in the casita at the back of the hotel, so was very quiet and was on 1 level. It was very nice and roomy, also had a patio. The breakfast was good, hot and cold items, also 3 choice of juices and coffee.

    4
    « Good Stay »

We picked this hotel because it was close to Sedona. Prices for hotels in Sedona are up, up, up. It was only about a 20 minute drive. The room was very nice. BW put us in the casitas. They were across the parking lot from the storied motel. Attached rooms were large, had microwave and fridge. Even a patio with enclosed walls. Breakfast was OK. Powered scrambled eggs, bacon, cereals juice and coffee. Will stay again if in the area.

    « Customer Service Lacking »

The front desk receptionists are outstanding and very professional. The general manager, Christine Carrillo, definitely leaves quite a bit to be desired in terms of professional courtesy. My family had to cancel plans due to a medical emergency. Unfortunately, we had booked through hotels.com and had to liason with them to cancel our booking. Hotels.com tried to negotiate and explain the situation on our behalf. Our request for cancellation and refund was rejected. We tried to call the hotel directly and explain the situation, and could even provide legitimate documentation as to the medical emergency. But Christine Carrillo feels neither the need to answer her office phone or return messages. Very, very disappointing establishment.

« Very Friendly Place to stay! »

Ended up here because road was closed going home, tried another hotel first saw the room and drove here. SO GLAD WE DID! Staff was incredible, room was clean and large. Great Mexican restaurant sharing parking lot, perfect place to stay!

    3
« Good one night stay »

Good location. Desk staff at late afternoon checkin needed help. One person on desk on a Friday trying to handle multiple check-ins, phone calls, and walkie-talkie calls apparently from staff, was just overwhelmed. Not a pleasant experience for guests watching. Room was fully functional, a plus. But smelled musty until we opened door and window. Foam pillows smelled odd. Room was clean. We'd stay here again as we prefer Best Western to local non-affiliated hotels. The room was quiet and very comfortable. WiFi worked well.

    4
« Great place to stay »

I have stayed at this Best Western a few times for business and have always had a good experience. The rooms are clean, large, and quiet. They have refrigerators in the rooms, but no microwave. That would be my only complaint. As someone that travels sometimes for work I stay exclusively at Best Western whenever possible. I usually have a great experience with Best Western and this hotel doesn't fall short of that. The staff are always friendly and pleasant to interact with. I would recommend this Best Western for anyone looking to stay in this area.

    4
« Nice place to stay »

I was happy with my stay. The room was good sized and clean. The staff was good and very friendly. Everything we needed except maybe a microwave. Plenty of free parking. Nothing extraordinary, except maybe the friendly staff, overall a nice motel. I would stay here again.

    4
« If you have to stay in Cottonwood »

This is the best hotel in Cottonwood as far as cleanliness and staff. I did experience a cold water shower, however I believe this was just a rare incidence. They were willing to come look at it but I needed to get going so I took a cold shower.

    « Nice little motel »

We stayed only one night but it was pleasant. Staff was very nice and went out of their way. The other couple we were traveling with accidently left their "bed pillow" in the room after we ck'd out. We were about 20-25 min. down the road when she figured out what had happened. We drove back to The Cottonwood Inn & one of the housekeeping staff brought it right up... very nice! Our rooms were cool, clean & very quiet. Breakfast was the typical ... but plentiful.

    4
« Fine for the area »

I realize this is an area that is higher priced, especially on a Holiday weekend. I was happy to get a hotel, but paid a little more that I would like to. The breakfast was super, and the room was very very good

    4
    « Very nice »

We stayed two nights on a family vacation. The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a large selection for breakfast. A great location with many nearby sights to see. I would stay here again.

    4
« Good choice in Cottonwood »

Very clean and well lit property. Good Mexican restaurant right next door. This is an older BW with outside doors only...no interior corridor. Pretty good pricing for the area. Breakfast was awesome...one of the best we have had at BW. No fitness center. This property is in the heart of it all...so do not expect it to be secluded...however, it was quiet enough to sleep well...we were in the area to go to Camp Verde area; easy drive to all attractions. Love BW! Friendly staff.

    5
    « Great staff »

The room was very clean and nice very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. one of the better breakfast I have had at a hotel. The pool was very clean and clear and the grounds were kept neat.I would stay there again.

    5
« Good Night Stay for a Great Price »

A weekend getaway, we were pleasantly surprised with a very nice room it was clean, small refrigerator, small coffee pot in room and comfortable bed. Overall we enjoyed our stay, we planned one night and decided to stay an extra night. The price for the room was excellent and the free breakfast is well worth the stay. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are very clean and well maintained. We will stay at this hotel again. Thank you!

    4
« Nicer than I thought it would be »

I have to be honest. I'm used to higher end hotels. This hotel was recommended by a friend that lives close by. The staff were very nice and friendly. The room was nicer than I thought it would be. Plenty of room for 4 of us. The bathroom had a great fan so the shower didn't make the room hot and gross. Outlets are scarce around the room but we managed. Comfortable room with breakfast what else can you ask for? It was about a 20 minute drive to Sedona for hiking or dinner. Plenty of restaurants close by and of course a Walmart in case you forgot anything. The AC unit was great during this August visit. That alone made or day after hiking all day. I don't know how it compares to in town Sedona hotels but the price was right and it was a comfortable room. I'd stay there again just for the AC.

    5
    « A DREAMY NIGHT @ BEST WESTERN »

The best resort that you can find. Always have the best people working there. Nicest rooms and beds. Very good amenities and we feel like we are at home. We recommend to all our friends to try Best Western. They will be pleasantly surprised.

    3
    « Its a Room »

the hotel staff was great desk person and breakfast person did an excellent job. But in the bathroom if found hair in the drain of the tub, which was gross and probably I wont be staying there any more I will find another location to stay at

    5
« Convenient location with amenities »

Family members were pleased with superb breakfast and comfort of rooms. Location was convenient to all local activities. Staff was very pleasant and helpful with specific family needs. Location was very close to all the activities that were planned for the family.

    « visit for a funeral »

Sad trip, just needed a clean, comfortable room as the commercial says for another hotel. It was ok. There was a hair in my bed, so not so clean. Also, checked in late (after 11pm) and the woman working made me wipe my feet because she had "just mopped." Really, this is a hotel lobby, lady! So then, I had to leave a "damage deposit" of 150 a night on my card (more than price of room) and I said, "isn't my credit card the deposit?" and she said, "you'd pay 500 in Sedona?" What the hell does that mean? Does Arizona have a different way of doing hotels than anywhere else? I have never left a "security deposit" and felt like I might be in a neighborhood with a lot of pawn shops and bail bondsmen if that was the case. Luckily, it was not. The hotel was actually lovely. The pool and spa were pretty, I never used them. The breakfast was standard for this price point, but staff very friendly. It was adequate.

    4
« Great place to stay near Sedona »

We wanted to visit nearby Sedona for a few days and picked this location due to its easy accessibility to things we wanted to do. The Best Western Cottonwood Inn had comfy rooms, with great parking. Check-in was easy. The maid service was efficient and helpful. They had a great saltwater pool! It was close to Sedona and Jerome. They offered breakfast so there was no reason to eat elsewhere. There were many restaurants nearby for evening meals.

    3
    « Not great »

It was not the best experience. They were paving the parking lots the whole time we were their. We were told to park a couple streets over if there was nothing there. There was no hot water the last 2 days, but the manager did give us a discount for those 2 day. Other than that It was a clean room. Plenty of air conditioning in the hot weather.

    5
    « Casitas. »

We have stayed in both the regular rooms and in the casitas. All the accommodations are very nice. We find that we prefer the casitas for more privacy. The breakfasts are always very good. The food is always hot, and the area is clean. There is an attendant on duty to help in any way she can She is always very gracious.

    5
« Best Best western hotel »

They are there to help anyway they can and they will accommodate you anyway possible, I have stayed here many times Pillar and Rachel are the best, they have made sure that I get an upgrade whenever possible and this the only Best Western that I have stayed at that shows concern and I stay at over a 100 BW a year. I have stopped using BW, because none of them care, but not this one they will always be my number one when I am in town

    3
    « Nice but noisy »

We have stayed at this BW several times over the past few years. Some upgrades to the rooms have been made. If you are looking for a quiet sleep, forget it! Walls are very thin and you can hear everything the people are saying in the next room. Doors slam shut very hard and are metal making loud bangs at all hours. Staff are good and very courteous. Breakfast is better than most hotels.

    5
    « Serendipity »

We found this place by accident, after discovering that everywhere in Sedona was already booked. Everywhere but one room for $200! We decided to try Cottonwood, and found this Best Western. Two queen beds for $100 seemed reasonable for tourist season, so we stayed and got a great night sleep!

    4
    « Cottonwood Hotel Value »

The BW Cottonwood Inn is a conveniently located, high quality facility with reasonable rates. It is close to local attractions like the Verde Canyon Rail Road and river rafting adventures, as well as the historic and quaint mining town of Jerome.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

Visited Cottonwood, Arizona on business last week and stayed overnight at the Best Western Hotel. Had a king bed with very nice furniture, nice bathroom and the room was very clean. Staff was very helpful and provided a 20% discount because both my cable TV and WiFi were not working. The outage was not the hotel's fault, it was the cable company, but they accepted the blame. They also provide a hot breakfast. Would recommend this hotel and will stay again if the opportunity arises.

    4
« Typical Best Western, Well Run, Very Clean »

Well located Best Western in the center of town and an easy one minute walk to a good Mexican Restaurant. AIr conditioning worked great at 110 degrees outside and a nice little fridge added comfort. Be aware there are no elevators and lugging luggage up two flights of stairs at 110 may not be for everyone. Very quiet room though on the second floor made up for the lugging. Good place to stay for a couple of days....we skipped the breakfast but what a mistake, as the place we chose to eat two minutes up Main Street was awful. ZB

    « Cottonwood Inn »

I travel a lot with a small group on motorcycles and after a day of riding it is a great relief to hit the pool and hot tub and this Best Western did not fall short. Pool area was clean and well maintained. The room was clean and very comfortable. We try to say at Best Westerns when we ride because we feel we are welcomed when we arrive.

    3
« Decent place to stay for a stopover. One scary Incident. »

We booked a room and was lucky enough to be provided a room in the casita rooms. These rooms are separate from the main hotel and are like mini cottages. The rooms were dated but managable. Unfortunately there were no extra pillows or blankets in the room so if you need those, you must call the front desk for them. The other weird thing was that there was only one garbage bin for the entire room. Not something you would think about until you actually needed one when in different parts of the room. Wifi was pretty strong in our room, which was probably the furthest you can get from the main lobby. I was streaming netflix at 8pm so kudo's for that. There is a microwave, small barfridge and a coffee maker in the room. One very scary part of our trip came at 8:30 in the evening. We were settled in and halfway sleeping because we woke up early to get to our destination, and had to wake up early the next morning. Our locks were engaged on the door (both deadbolt and security latch) and somehow someone from outside managed to get the deadbolt open. When they tried to open the door, the security latch luckily stoped the door from opening further. Whoever it was that tried to open the door realized we were in the room and they prompty closed the door and went away. After calling the front desk to inquire about this incident, all they said was "sorry that happened, we thought the room was empty". No other explanation or re-assuring words were provided as to what happened, and what to do if it happens again. Makes me believe the coordinationg and bookkepping of this place is a bit suspect if they can't keep track of which rooms are occupied or not. Breakfast was basic continental with some warm items such as oatmeal, a waffle maker and scambled eggs. They do run out of the items quickly, so if you really want something, you may have to wait your turn in line to get it. The breakfast room is also quite small. I estimate maybe 6 - 8 tables. I'm guesing it's usually adequate during the weekdays, but on busy weekends, it can be hectic. It's a pretty good location in Cottonwood. You can walk to resturants and grocery stores (if required).

    4
« Great location, nicest in the immediate area »

Hotel situated near center of Cottonwood, easily accessible. Has nice pool, clean rooms, large parking area. Older building, but refurbished nicely. Breakfast good, breakfast room too small. Could use more shade in parking area and around pool. They don't give you toiletries but use large push button containers of awful shampoo, body wash and lotion.

    4
« Good value, good breakfast »

The staff was professional and helpful at check-in. Breakfast was good--had more items than expected, including waffles, scrambled eggs, cereal, and other items. Rooms were about as expected size wise and cleanliness.

    3
« Not the best of the Best Westerns, »

but if you are Ok with an average hotel on a main street with loud kids in the pool, dogs on the property, steps to the second floor, motorcycles without mufflers, a tiny breakfast area that is hard to get a seat in at what we thought was a higher price, I would suggest booking a casita instead of a standard room. They are at least away from the main complex and though a few dollars more, quieter and more private.

    5
« Awesome Breakfast, lovely lodging, excellent pool! »

We stayed here for a week long training in Sedona. Very easy to drive up to Sedona for the classes, much more affordable to sleep in Cottonwood. The staff is so helpful and kind, and very quick to address any problems. Some weekends kids fill up the pool on Saturday night, fun to watch them. It is a big pool, with a fine spa also. The washer/dryer units were convenient, if noisy. Great convenience to do laundry and soak in the spa. And the Breakfast!! Another one of those complete, hot, tasty Best Western Breakfast Buffets. Really deeply appreciated by those of us getting on the road quickly, thus you see a lot of truckers spending the night here.

    1
    « Nightmare in Cottonwood »

The worst hotel I've stayed in for many many years. Checked in at a lobby with unsavory characters hanging out. Room with dumpy furniture and lumpy beds. Floor with depressions that you could easily twist an ankle on. Breakfast room that made it totally unappealing to eat. Left at first light, no shower, because the bathroom didn"t look clean. Don't be fooled by Best Western "Plus" There is nothing plus here!

    2
« Not the 'Best' Western »

Basic accommodations, not up to latest BW standards. Noisy hotel next to a busy road junction and gas station. Good position for other restaurants and shopping in Cottonwood. Limited parking. Poor breakfast facilities (Note Dennys is across the road)

    3
« Expected better for the price »

After going to two other Best Western hotels that were very good with the breakfast with the full breakfast buffet I just felt that it could have been as good as the other two especially since this one was a lot more expensive.

    4
« nice room, quite, nice grounds, good coffee & morning breakfast. Very polite staff. »

Cottonwood is a nice place to visit - In Old Town, eat Italian at "Nick's Steak & Crab" - great restaurant. Town is growing and in a nice position to visit other areas for a "day trip" - Flagstaff, Prescott, Jerome & Sedona.

    « Great hotel stay »

We stayed only one night. Stayed in room 129 across from the pool. Didn't use the pool. The room was spacious and the AC worked great. Liked how the bathroom had wall disperser for body wash and shampoo. Water was hot to. Continental breakfast was good, they had eggs, sausage, waffles u can make, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, toast and biscuits with gravy. The room is small but we were able to eat at in the lobby area.

    3
« average but very clean »

very dated lodging, but free breakfast and clean rooms with good housekeeping service. front desk service was spotty, but ok. Questionable folks lurking on grounds. Next time, I will stay somewhere newer.

    3
    « Just OK »

This hotel definitely has some wear but they do keep it clean. I would say a 2 star. One of the doors would not open and members of our group was out for 1 1/2 hr before they were moved to another room. The front desk was unattended for long periods of time. When my group went through the breakfast line, the worker mentioned that she didn't realize she would have a large group, even though we had our reservations for 2 months.

    4
    « Pleasantly Surprised »

Best Western never disappoints - Great little place in this little town. Rooms were clean, breakfast was great and the staff was always helpful. Slept like a baby both nights in spite of the fact it's on a busy corner. Street noise was not an issue. Didn't give a 5-rating cause there's always room for improvement but they probably do deserve it.

    3
« Clean, standard room with excellent breakfast included. »

I had a king size bed, comfortable, clean. Plenty of room, tub and shower. Exterior of building showing some minor signs of wear. The "free" breakfast included was really good. Location excellent for Old Town Cottonwood, Clarkdale, and Jerome. Easy access from I-17.

    5
    « Centrally located »

It was right in the middle of all we wanted to see and do. The room was clean and inviting. If I return to Cottonwood, I would certainly stay there again. Breakfast is excellent, good variety. The best coffee around. And that is important to us.

    5
« Good hotel well worth the price »

Check in was very easy and they went out of their way to help us. Was way early due to needing to get ready for a wedding in Sedona. Would recommend this hotel. Breakfast was on par with other hotel chains. Rooms were clean and ready for us.

    5
« Great Place to stay »

This Best Western is a great place to stay.Cottonwood is a great town to visit and if you like to do wine tasting this is the place to come. Lots of things to do and the neighboring town of Clarksdale has a great Copper Mueseum. The location is close to Jerome, Sedona, and Prescott.

    4
    « Comfortable, clean, quiet »

The front desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Dinner was at the restaurant next door, convenient and good. The laundry facilities were easy and accessible.

    3
« They are trying hard except for the breakfast coffee »

Everything was fine...an old hotel but my room was clean and recently remodeled, the bed good, very nice and helpful staff. My only gripe concerns the breakfast. The offerings were okay with eggs, breads, yogurt, cereal, etc. BUT....there is no excuse for offering only coffee from a vending machine. It is terrible. Not drinkable. I had to walk over to the gas station convenience store next store for a decent cup and I was in a rush anyway to make it to the birding and nature festival. If I stay there again I will bring my own coffee maker. You should do the same. Oh, yes. Bring earplugs too. The fan/heating/a/c unit is extremely noisy.

  • 5
« Nice place to stay »

We stayed here on our way to the Grand Canyon. Not disappointed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating at check in and with all other matters. Room was clean and up to date. The breakfast was above average and the breakfast staff was beyond friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    4
« Great Hotel, Mediocre Breakfast »

Staff was great. Everything in the room was well thought out. Everything worked. A fan in the bathroom! Hallelujah! Nice decor and function. But the breakfast..... They need to serve REAL butter. Even McDonald's and Denny's do. And the flaked and formed sausage. Better to skip the meat than serve that.

    5
« Home away from home, when in Cottonwood »

Highly, highly, highly recommend this hotel. Ask about the Casitas, king size beds, secluded from the rest of the hotel rooms. The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. We stay here at least once a year and bring a group of friends with us. The hotel is very clean and centrally located to visit Jerome and/or Sedona.

« Just What We Needed »

We were looking for clean, safe, inexpensive lodging for one night and that's what we found. Nothing fancy, but we weren't expecting it. My only complaint was that the pillows were much to large and firm for me. Everything else was just fine. Check-in was easy and accommodating. The best thing about our stay was the server at breakfast. Jennifer was so helpful, cheerful, and delightful. She was just what we needed to start the day on a positive note. We found the breakfast about average except for the addition of warm donut holes and to-go bags as well. Nice little treat.

    « Touring »

Staying in Cottonwood was near Sedona but more peaceful and less expensive. It was convieniently located near the freeway and stores. Old town Cottonwood was interesting and there was a nice hiking area along the river.

    « alright »

There aren't whole lot of options in the area. Average hotel but awesome breakfast! We didn't get our television to work, which was ok. I told the front desk when I checked out. I guess there's some tricky button you have to hit before it will work- so make sure you call the front desk if you have problems. :)

« Nice place in convenient location »

This is the second time I have stayed here. This is a good location for the entire area, with food and stores for the stuff I always forget. The staff was very helpful. The only issue I had was logging onto their wifi system. Apparently iphones and ipads don't talk to their system sometimes. The front desk put me in contact with Best Western tech support, and Brian was quite helpful. After that, I had no issues.

    « Nice Place »

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Sedona and other places in the area. Nice and clean. Had a good free hot breakfast every morning. Good location near stores and was centrally located for the areas we planned to visit. I would stay again. The only thing I could say negative about the place is that I had made my reservations over a month in advance for 2 rooms. While I did not specifically ask that the rooms be side by side you would assume they would have been either next to or adjoining rooms. We were about 3 doors down from our other party, which was not a big deal. But I guess you must be very specific if you want your rooms together.

    « nice place »

This was a nice place to visit on our trip to Sedona. Would stay here again, the price is right..and It's close to a few fast food and other places to eat.. Air conditioning worked great and check out was a breeze.

« An older hotel in very good condition »

Since we were visiting the Sedona area during a busy time, we chose to stay in Cottonwood at the Best Western. I was a little dubious about this motel before we went because the rooms all open to the outside, but we felt totally safe while we were there. Everyone we saw were tourists that had the same idea that we had--stay out of the Sedona melee. We rented the family suite ($150) since my husband snores (loudly). If I want any sleep at all, we must have separate bedrooms. The first bedroom is the typical hotel room with a nice bath with tub/shower. The second bedroom opens from the first. This room is somewhat smaller but is large enough and has the same bath as the first. Everything was super clean which is the most important thing to us. The breakfast was excellent the first and third morning (eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, milk, coffee, and cereal). The second morning we went to Randall's up the street because food consisted of super think sausage patties and egg rounds. If you are there for only one day, go to Randall's. This is a breakfast!!

    « beware of location »

Ask not to have a room by the gas station. Rooms by the pool seem more quiet but those opening into parking lot facing the gas station next door were terrible. Strange people smoking by the gas station trashcan just a few paces from your room is not a sight I want to see on my vacation.

    4
    « Clean and comfortable »

As a family of 5 the hotel was able to provide a roll away cart to enable all of us to stay in one room. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the use of the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of variety. The town has a large number of restaurants to choose from.

    5
    « Just outside Sedona »

If you want to visit Sedona, it is very expensive. This hotel offers reasonable prices with a convenient 25 minute drive there. Sedona is very compact with limited parking, so it was nice to go back to a more 'open' town for the evening.

    3
« Average experience at an average hotel »

Good choice if you want to avoid overpriced Sedona area. As others mention, the staff here is very friendly, including the kitchen staff. Rooms on the back side are quiet. Our room was somewhat dirty (carpet and bathroom) and the swimming pool was really, really dirty -- not what we hoped for when traveling with kids. Breakfast was okay but the powdered eggs were inedible.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

Our stay at the Cottonwood Best Western was comfortable and pleasant. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the room was very clean, and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The hotel is a good place to come back to after a day of sightseeing in Jerome or the Indian ruins in the area. Cottonwood itself, the old town, is very nice too.

    4
« Nice alternative for the expensive Sedona hotels »

We stayed here for two nights when we visited the Sedona area. This is a typical classic BW motel. The rooms are spacious and maybe a bit outdated. Wifi Internet was really fast and connection went very smooth. Rooms were clean. The breakfast area was busy and chaotic during peak hours. Cottonwood is a nice alternative for the crowded and expensive Sedona hotels. It's just a 20 minute drive from Sedona and the town has a nice vibe and some really good restaurants. Check out our reviews on restaurants for some suggestions.

« Loved staying here - great breakfast! »

The parking lot was a bit tight & very full when we arrived late in the evening the day we arrived. Luckily we found a spot. The spa was broken, so we were a bit bummed that we couldn't use it. The breakfast was fabulous. They had real oatmeal in a crockpot and that was so exciting. Typically, Best Westerns have just packaged breakfasts, so the oatmeal was a bonus. Definitely a great breakfast experience than what I was expecting! I would definitely stay at this hotel again! Very reasonably priced considering how close to Sedona it is.

    4
« Great standard hotel. No complaints. »

Nothing to complain about. Friendly staff, great size room, AC was cold, shower was warm, bed was more than comfortable. Obviously not a 5 * but great for a typical best western. Walking distance from a good Mexican restaurant.

    4
« Great location to explore Sedona and surroundings »

Great value hotel for exploring Sedona and its surroundings .Better priced than hotels in Sedona. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi, breakfast included-OK and pool. It was quiet until about 7 am when you can hear the guests upstairs. Gems to see: Lowell Observatory, Oak Creek Canyon, from Sedona take Hwy 17 north & Hwy 179 south. Hike the Broken Arrow trail to the Chicken Point in Sedona.

    « 2 night stay »

We stayed 2 nights at this best western. Check in process was smooth and the employee was pleasant. The room was a typical best western room, nothing fancy but it was clean. My parents stayed there also and their room spelt of smoke pretty bad, she called to notify them so they would not charge her and they did offer to switch rooms, but my mom declined. The hotel was full while we were there and I wish the breakfast room would have been a bit bigger, but we got by.

« Decent hotel for the Price »

The Best Western Cottonwood is about a 20 min drive from the heart of Sedona and a quick 10 minute drive to Jerome if you are planning a trip out to this area. An affordable hotel if you don't mind driving out to these spots. Located in Cottonwood next to the Plaza Bonita this cute little Mexican restaurant. The rooms are decent I mean in my honest opinion nothing fancy. The beds literally felt like I was laying on the springs with little to no padding at least it was something to sleep on. If you are a light sleeper this might not be the place for you since the walls here are quite thin. I could hear people walking outside and through the walls. The staff were very friendly and I am a sucker for free hot breakfast. The lovely lady working during breakfast was so charming and was working so hard to make sure that everyone was satisfied with their breakfast. She was so sweet and her help was greatly appreciated. Our last night though we had an issue with the ceiling leaking and our bathroom flooding! Apparently the room above us was using the bath and there may have been problems with the piping or what not but we did call the front desk and they came to help us right away. Although they could not move us into another room since the entire hotel was booked the leaking eventually stopped. It really wasn't that big of a deal to me since they sent maintenance to come in and check the problem and the staff cleaned up the area. If any of our items though were water damaged then it would have been a different story. On the negative side in terms of compensation if you book your hotel through a third party site and not directly through Best Western they really can not do much to make up for the inconvenience. So for future reference maybe the next time we decide to book a hotel we can be selective on how we do the booking and choosing what third party site we use. The hotel itself was fine a lot of families with children and older couples during our visit. I think that in terms of my preference I would rather stay in a hotel closer to the heart of my final destination thinking of what activities I like to do hiking etc bc now you have to take into account having to drive an additional 30 min to and from your hotel.

    « Better Than Expected »

I was surprised at how clean and organized this older Inn was. The staff was very helpful and helped us with tickets for the Grande Verde Railway tour. I would definitely stay again. In fact, the next day we brought friends that were staying in Sadona to have dinner at the Mexican restaurant that is attached.

    3
« Basic 2-star hotel that does not disappoint »

This Best Western is clean and functional for the price. The front desk is courteous and efficient. The free breakfast is basic but plentiful. So if you want a decent room at a reasonable price that is 15-20 minutes from Sedona, this BW definitely deserves consideration.

    3
    « Friendly Staff »

Clean, convenient and roomy enough. I would definitely skip the breakfast though! I frequently stay in Best Western & this was hands down the worst breakfast i've ever seen them offer! Go to Denny's down the street you'll Thank yourself later.

    « Perfect »

Like so many people that visit the Sedona area we stayed in Cottonwood which is much more affordable than hotels in Sedona. Our Best Western was located across from the tourist office and right beside Plaza Bonita restaurant where we had dinner 3 nights in a row!. As Platinum club members we were able to get an upgrade to a Casita which is separate from the hotel, on one floor and includes an enclosed patio. The room was large and comfortable. Wifi worked great. Breakfast was good. The only minor negative was that the pool was not available during our stay. Too bad that something like this could not be communicated when you reserve online. In spite of this, we would stay here again.

    3
« Decent value, avoid Sunday night stays. »

We unfortunately found out that refuse pick up is around 5AM Monday mornings - not a pleasant way to wake up, so avoid Sunday night stays. Otherwise the accommodations were fine. Definitely older buildings - you can feel people walking around - but the room was clean enough and the staff were very friendly. Short drive from Sedona is a plus.

    5
« Great Value & Close to Sedona! »

I brought a group of 12 to hike and play in and around Sedona. We chose to stay at the Best Western Cottonwood Inn because it is only a few minutes to drive to Sedona and the price was about half of what they're getting in Sedona. The only negative comment I have is that the wifi is slow. Other than that everything form the service to the cleanliness of the rooms and property was superb. I will definitely go back!

    3
« Close to 'Sedona and Jerome for a much better Value »

We were given some advice from another traveler to stay in Cottonwood as an alternative to Sedona. We belong to BW rewards program and I read some nice reviews on Trip advisor and booked here. It is a very good value. A nice surprise was the washer and dryer. The down side is that all the King size beds are on the second floor. The Motel does not have an Elevator and outside stair case and walkway. Front desk staff are very pleasant.

    5
    « Great stay »

Perfect Location near Sedona and Jerome. Great and friendly service. Very accommodating for a very reasonable price. Simple room but comfortable, clean and Wi-Fi. Pool looks fun but We were there during the cold season.

« worst mistake of my life »

Booked because of hot tub. Hot tub not available, (was not informed until after arrival making it too late to cancel). Paid more for this room than other places were charging and got a lot less. NEVER staying at a rip off place called best western again.

    3
« Room was just "OK" »

Main enterance door was mechanically dfficult to open. Fridge was set too cold which ruined some leftovers. Internet was not "high speed" Over all the room was just "OK" Now the stupid survey says 'The review must have 200 characters minimum' , so I guess I'll type some meaningless blather until I meet this ridiculous requirement.

    3
    « Spacious rooms, 2nd rate breakfast »

The Cottonwood Inn was convenient for our trip to the Sedona/Jerome area. It was conveniently located to great restaurants and the rooms were large and clean. The best things on the breakfast menu were the waffles and boiled eggs. The rest of the items had little flavor and/or were greasy; even the oatmeal was inedible. I'd stay here again, but stick to coffee and toast.

    4
    « Decent accommodations »

We stayed here for one night to avoid the over priced hotels in Sedona. This hotel was within 30 minutes of Sedona. Older hotel in need of updating but appeared clean enough. Shower was adequate and contained the typical amenities of shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Receptionist was extremely nice and greeted us as BW members. It appeared to be quite full so led me to believe it is a popular destination for a lot of folks wanting to visit the Sedona area. One critique would be the morning breakfast. It wasn't up to par with what we have experienced at other BW. There was an attendant on duty but she wasn't refilling things as they ran low (or empty). And the fruit appeared to be canned fruit salad not fresh fruit cut up. The one bright spot was warm donut holes! But unfortunately there were not enough for everyone. In spite of the breakfast shortcomings I would stay here again for the price which allows for more shopping in Sedona!

    4
    « Sedona Marathon Stay »

Nice location and property was in decent shape...nice staff...good breakfast...quiet nights, We stayed at the Cottonwood Best Western because it is in a great part of town and and easy drive to Sedona for the Marathon Event.

« Much more agreeable than high priced Sedona »

After pricing out the ridiculously priced hotels in Sedona we opted for the Best Western in Cottonwood. ($89. per night) We got a clean room, hot breakfast and a courteous staff. The things we are interested in seeing are really closer to Cottonwood anyway. Also, two the the very best restaurants in the area (Nic's and Bocce) are in Cottonwood. Sedona is a fun place to walk around but not the place for us to stay.

    5
    « Highly recommend »

The motel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to help with a problem. We would stay in this motel again and will recommend it to friends traveling to Cottonwood Az.

    « Worst Experience Ever!!! »

Lobby reeked of smoke. No one at the desk. Clerk came out and I told her we had reservations for 3 rooms. She asked for IDs from each person. I showed her my father's ID and said he'll be in the Handicapped room. "I don't have a handicapped room" she said. I responded that we wouldn't be able to stay there then because he's in a wheelchair. She snapped back at me "I didn't say we don't have them, you don't have one reserved." I said that I made the reservations a week ago and was assured that there was a handicapped room. "I don't know why you're getting so upset", she snapped again at me. I said, "I think we'll just go to another hotel since you've messed up our reservations." Her response was "Well, we don't want you to stay here anyway!" When my son saw how upset I was, he went back in and she lied to him and said that she didn't say that. On top of that, the manager came from upstairs and said that she didn't hear her say that either - and she was not even around when we had the conversation!! I will never step foot in another Best Western in my life after that experience or recommend one to anyone!!

« Staying in Cottonwood, Ax »

Very nice place to stay ! Staff was excellent & very pleasant & helpful...needed a room for my Daughter & family from Hawaii, but hotel was full/sold out for the 2 nites we needed. At the end of the day they managed to figure something out & provided a room for them, allowing my entire family to stay at the same motel. Really cool !!

« Best Western Cottonwood Night Manager's Inappropriate Behavior »

This motel was horrible. We checked in on Saturday (12/26) and were supposed to checkout on Tuesday (12/29), but left after one night. While we were out to dinner, someone entered my brother's room and we returned to find feces smeared on the toilet and bathroom floor. After the feces was cleaned up by housekeeping and my brother was at the adjacent Mexican restaurant trying to unwind, the night manager and housekeeper entered his room without his knowledge and any justifiable reason. I was in the room next door and witnessed this. I called my brother to inform him that they were in his room. He went to the Lobby and I met him there to discuss with the night manager. She kept insinuating that it was me who entered the room because I had the other key even though my husband and I were with my brother during the timeframe the incident happened. She kept saying that she could enter any room at anytime she felt it was necessary. Then she threatened us a minimum of three times that she was going to call the police and have us escorted off of the property. This without me getting a chance to say a word, so there was no need for her threats. This morning when I checked out, I spoke to the day manager, she was very apologetic for the night manager's behavior and didn't seem the least bit surprised by my accusations. Today I contacted a friend who's been a hotel manager for a major hotel chain for 20+ years and she said I should have called the police on the night manager. When we book a room, we are entitled to some privacy and especially not be threatened by hotel staff. We've never had any incident like this before and we've never written a review before, but last night was bad. Having said all of this, we will never stay at any Best Western again and I plan on taking any and all legal steps necessary to see that this night manager is held accountable for her inappropriate actions. On side note, while we were packing up our car this morning, approximately six police cars were in the parking lot for another issue and towed off a minivan on a flatbed tow truck.

« Pet fee ridiculously high »

Hotel was fine. Pet fee was ridiculous. $20 per night, per pet, plus taxes. $90 for 2 night stay. Never again Best Western. I have stayed at many hotels with my dogs, and never paid this much. Staff was very friendly and polite. Breakfast was OK.

    4
    « Good stay »

My one complaint was the pet fee. $20 per pet, per night. Outrageous. Wont return to any Best Western. Room was clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was ok. No street noise, but other guests were rather noisy.

    « 1pm »

in cottonwood az, this is the best hotel to stay in. overpriced for most Best Westerns but its the best on in town. we've stayed at super 8 for less money but not as nice as this place. But that's not saying much.

    « clean safe »

Clean and safe had two queen beds, convenient to downtown, can take a cab or its a 3 mile walk to the wineries. adequate towels, a little coffee maker in your room and a fridge in your room. They do have breakfast daily

« Yikes! Cut our stay short due to unwelcome guests. »

I grew up in a Military family that counted on the comfort and cleanliness of Best Western Inns but an insect problem made us flee in disgust and hotel suggested that we must have brought the bugs with us!

    5
    « Very clean place »

We enjoyed our room and staff during our one night visit. We have seen many BW and this was close to the top of the list. Hopefully when we make it back, we will stay again. Staff was very friendly. Clean CLEAN room.

    4
« Clean, Courteous, Great Breakfast Selections »

All the Staff was very courteous and helpful. Lobby and rooms were clean and orderly. There was a fridge in the room which was nice to bring leftovers home from the great Mexican Restaurant on property. Lots of pillows on the bed. I liked that. NOTE: No Elevator. STAIRS ONLY to the second level rooms. Rooms are accessed from the out of doors (not inside the building hallways). Pool and jacuzzi are seasonal so I did not use this trip. I liked that the tv had some good free movie channel choices. For some reason, my iPhone 6 Plus had challenges with the wi-fi dropping off and corporate having to reset the router 4 or 5 times. Great breakfast selection choices including hot protein options such as sausage and hard boiled eggs. Biscuits and gravy, sliced oranges, hot & cold cereals, waffles, toast and bagels, juices, coffee and more. Something for just about everyone. Felt it was a bit overpriced and then after the fact, the breakfast somewhat made up for it. I will definitely return.

    5
« Very nice place to stay »

Unlike exorbitant pricing at Sedona, just half hour drive from Sedona, this place is nice accommodation for the price. This is the second time I have stayed at this location, no issues with any request or stay itself. Breakfast has enough veggie options.

    4
« Great place to stay »

Very comfortable room in center of town close to many restaurants and shopping. Older, but well kept up. Very friendly and cooperative staff. We were there on a sold out night and there appeared to be adequate parking spaces. We were out very late into the morning and when we returned there was an open parking space in front of our room. Did not take advantage of their breakfast because of being out late. Great place to stay and we will return.

    « Room With A View »

I stayed 4 nights at the Best Western in Cottonwood. I had a king room on the back side of the hotel. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. A bonus was that it had a view of the red rocks (in the distance) and the foothills. Breakfast was included and was filling. In addition, the breakfast selection changed each day! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. A most enjoyable stay,

    « hot water »

after being without hot water for the first 26 hrs of stay the inability of staff to adjust the bill to reflect conditions upon checkout is inexcusable. the failure of the promise to have someone who has the authority to make adjustments call on nov 26 is worse.

« Exterior may put you ff but rooms are fne »

If you walked up to this motel you may be put off by the abandoned swimming pool at the rear but the rooms are nice and clean and the girl on reception was friendly, although she did give us a bum steer when recommending the best steak in town at Niic's Italian Steakhouse in Old town Cottonwood. Probably the poorest steak i have ever eaten in the States. Take a drive over Mingus mountain from here. Spectacular views.

    « A Great value at a well-kept property! »

Our stay of 3 nights at this Best Western was very comfortable. The Casita unit was clean, nicely appointed and a good value, given it's' proximity to Sedona. The staff was most accommodating upon our arrival, even taking our reservation without a credit card because we were driving at the time. If your travels include Sedona, avoid the high priced hotels there and stay here. It's only 15 minutes away. Highly recommend this property!

    « Best Hotel Find »

We searched for a hotel between Jerome and Sedona Arizona. This Cottonwood Best Western was the perfect find. While it's located at a busy intersection, the hotel is clean, convenient, and cost efficient. Will surely return when we are in the area.

    4
    « Nice and Quiet »

Spent one night after our Verde Canyon Railroad adventure. This is a very nice hotel, very clean and very quiet. The room was large with a very comfortable king size bed. Definitely a place to stay when we return to Cottonwood. Close to the downtown area, but far enough away to avoid any noisy nightlife. Would be 5 stars, but their "free breakfast" did not look appetizing to us and we chose to eat at a local fast food restaurant.

    4
« Decent place to stay »

We've stayed here on a few occasions when we've been in Cottonwood. Although it's a drive into Old Town, there aren't many hotels closer. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The front desk staff is friendly. We had an issue with our air conditioning unit, and they contacted maintenance immediately. They moved us to another room while they worked on it. Disappointed in the breakfast offering.

« Halloween night out in Jerome »

This is the second year in a row e stayed at this Best Western. It is so close to Jerome and love it that Randall's restaurant t is right around the corner from the hotel and I would recommend it to everyone that stays in cottonwood.

    « Best Western Cottonwood »

Nice clean hotel. A bit out of the way for Sedona, but reasonably priced. The only complaint were the pillows were round, soft but round, and the receptionist was in a big hurry to share her information with me. It was after dark and no one else was waiting behind me. Very strange, I thought.

    3
« Older hotel, a bit outdated, but was just fine »

When we first checked in, we weren't sure about this place. It's clearly an older hotel, and the doors face the parking lots and have a walkway right in front of the windows. So, there's no privacy unless you close the blinds. The interior was clearly older, and a little on the shabby side, but otherwise the room was clean. We felt perfectly safe staying there, and the price was the best in the area. Free breakfast was fine, nothing great, but not bad either. Overall, I would stay here again, just don't have high expectations.

    4
    « Group Visit »

Had a block of 7 rooms. Rooms were ready on time and located all together which was awesome! Other hotels don't often go out of their way to make this happen. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Even let us take over for a late night game night!

    « Average hotel »

Good location. Small bathrooms. Clean rooms. Did not like the breakfast buffet. Did not like that the rooms were accessed from the exterior. Nice looking outdoor pool. Helpful front desk staff. Maintenance man carried our luggage to the second floor as they do not have an elevator.

    4
    « As Expected »

This hotel was pretty much as we expected. Most importantly the room and property were clean. and front desk staff were courteous. Bathroom was very small. Price seemed a bit high, but was likely in line with similar hotels in the area. Free breakfast was a bit disappointing. I'm not really picky about breakfast but thought the oatmeal was too lumpy, raisin bran was stale, and coffee was terrible.

    3
« Good place to stay in Cottonwood »

Not a lot to choose from in Cottonwood, AZ. Hotel is old but pretty well maintained. Bed and pillows are comfortable and rooms are clean. Try to get a casita room if one is available. Hotel is conveniently located at the main (89A) intersection in Cottonwood.

    « Vacation Stay »

Very comfortable. The personnel at the Best Western in Cottonwood were very warm and friendly. The were interested in our well-being and displayed that attitude. If we are ever in Cottonwood again, we will look up the Best Western there.

« Not what we expected »

We stayed at the Cottonwood Inn after riding the Verde Canyon train. The desk clerk was friendly and courteous. We couldn't get the TV to work, and it took the clerk several minutes to fix it. There weren't a lot of available stations. The place seemed a little rundown and not up to Best Western standards. The breakfast room was hot, and the food was mediocre at best. The attendant was not very attentive.

    4
« Great room - Front desk could use some work »

The room and breakfast was great! The front desk staff could use a little bit more customer service skills. Every time I walked into the lobby no one made eye contact or said hello before I said hello. Overall great stay.

    5
    « Excellent hotel »

Check in/out was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was of a good size, was clean and comfortable. This is a good base for exploring around Sedona and Flagstaff but with a cheaper price tag. Breakfast is included and is the usual Bread, bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit, cakes, jams, etc along with fruit juice, tea and coffee We didn't use the pool because it was too cold but the hot tub was a nice temperature but not too many bubbles, most of the jets didn't seem to work. Towels are provided for pool use. My only complaint is that there isn't a safe in the room. Would I stay here again? Yes Would I recommend to a friend? Yes

    4
« Nice stay while waiting for a train »

We stayed two nights in Cottonwood in October to ride the Verde Valley train and visit the area. The hotel is your basic Best Western but the desk clerks are some of the nicest and most helpful people. Also, there is a service station next door if you are a decaf drinker like myself. The fellows working there would make a fresh pot during the evening hours if asked. Overall, it was a good stay. The TV may be a bit tricky to use. Our room was well maintained by the cleaning staff. Breakfast was fine but if you are picky there are other options available nearby. Wifi was very good. The restaurant next door seemed popular but we were not impressed. Then again, we are not avid Mexican food people.

    4
« Not up to par for a Best Western »

Our room was clean and the mattress was firm. The spa, however, was terrible. The water was lukewarm at best and the jets were like a child's bubble pipe. Travelers who are tired need an invigorating spa! The shower was good.

« Felt like I was in a commercial for this Best Western »

We stayed at this Best Western recently and had a very good experience. The room was spacious and clean, and it smelled fresh. The towels were thick, the bed was comfortable, and we loved having the little patio, refrigerator, and microwave in our casita. My daughter appreciated the free wi-fi. The complimentary breakfasts were tasty and varied. The location of this Best Western was handy for what we wanted to do. The employees were friendly and helpful to us. For instance, they gave us several good suggestions of restaurants and described how to get to them. I almost felt like I was in a commercial for this Best Western!

« Great Stay at this hotel in Cottonwood. »

A friend from Texas & I stayed at this hotel in Cottonwood. It was way cheaper than staying in Sedona but not that far to drive to. I called to make sure they could get us on the first floor because I use a walk. KiKi was very helpful when I called & asked. She was a delightful young lady. She was able to let us check in a little earlier & put us at the clear back of the hotel which was really nice to be back there away from the street noise. I've never stayed at this hotel but I certainly will on any future trips to Sedona. The breakfast food was very good and warm which our food in Flagstaff was cold.

« Pricing doesn't match quality of motel. »

Stayed one night to ride the Verde Canyon Train. That was really fun!!! The motel is not what we expected from Best Western. It was a $140.00 out the door with taxes/fees and not up to standards. Older style motel with no charm. It's just basic. No U.S. Today Newspaper. Choose somewhere else.

    « Needs updating. »

This motel is decent, but the room we had needed updating. The carpet was patched and worn looking. The location was good for us, close to Sedona and Jerome. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the rooms could have been cleaner. I will look for a different hotel on my next visit to this area.

    « Decent, Basic Motel »

An older Best Western, but a stopping place for exploring Jerome, Flagstaff, Sedona, and various Indian ruins. The inn is nothing fancy, but does the job. Good breakfast, friendly service. Avoid the Mexican restaurant near it, though. Lousy food there.

    « Warm Welcome »

We were given a first level room that fit our needs! They welcomed our last minute addition of two grandsons. The pool was lovely and the spa was warm! There were many clean crisply folded pool towels! They were in walking distance of more than one eating establishment. The Shower was wonderful and we were able to refreeze our cooler pads for the lunch cooler. The boys slept well and loved the breakfast menu. All in all we will be back if ever we come to Cottonwood again.

    « Clean and comfortable! »

Most hotels you receive two pillows on a bed, not here! There were like four pillows per bed and good pillows too! Very clean and comfortable! We will definitely return to this hotel when we visit the wineries!

    « 2 miles from Old Town »

The hotel is clean and functional and we slept soundly. The staff are very friendly and Cottonwood Old Town (with interesting bars and wine tasting shops) is within easy reach. The air-con was a little noisy and the decor a bit dated and the breakfast area small in relation to the hotel's size, but I would be happy to stay again. (We had dinner at Nic's Steak and Crab House. Very Good!)

« Basic and in need of an update »

There were positives to our one-night stay. The towels were soft, fluffy and clean. The sheets were washed. The sink and counter were clean. The toilet looked new. The TV was new. The room looked like it was recently painted. The rose bushes in the landscape were in bloom and maintained. The staff was friendly. But the negatives were many: the curtains were falling apart. The blanket was very tired from many washings. When I tried to turn on the heat a burning smell came out of the wall unit and set off the smoke alarm! We stayed the night with the system turned off. The tub had been recaulked many times, yet there were pockets of mold at the corners and between the tiles. The carpet was starting to fray. The breakfast had a choice, but served on paper plates with no fresh fruit except for canned fruit cocktail. Looked like the place was big on trying to save money. The price was inexpensive, but maybe ok if you only require a clean bed for the night.

« It's a good place to stay in Cottonwood »

Bottom line: We'd stay here again At our most recent stay at this hotel, our room was one of the casitas which are located in a separate area across the parking lot from the two-story hotel buildings. It's a nice very large room with a king bed, nightstands, a chair with ottoman, a nice desk, dresser with large flat screen TV, a little "bar" with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker, a closet with a door, a vanity outside of the toilet/shower room (located around the corner from the main room) and a walled-in private patio. The hotel's breakfast room is off the lobby and has quite a few tables. It's not an elaborate breakfast, but it is adequate. The staff are very nice and are good at remembering and welcoming repeat customers. This hotel is our first choice when we are looking to stay in Cottonwood, but is sometimes booked or requires a two-night stay on the busier days. There is a really good Mexican restaurant right next to it, as well as a convenience store.
