« Nice hotel, good restaurant, some TLC would help »

I was surprised to read the recent reviews of the Cremona Palace Hotel in Sant´Abramo because my experience was so much better than what the last reviewers wrote. My colleague and myself had booked to hotel on a very short notice since all hotels in Parma were booked out. I had room 217 and paid 76 EUR for the night incl. breakfast. What we liked + Very friendly service - the service staff tried to cancel another booking I had and gave me a special discount. + Large restaurant with good atmosphere. Friendly service and good food + Very fast free Internet + Large free parking + Large rooms with good beds What we did not like - heating is only forced air (Air conditioning) and it was difficult to get the room to a normal temperature - water pressure too low so the shower is hardly useable - noise level is higher than usual at night - breakfast is OK but nothing special. But I believe this is good Italian standard since I have had much worse breakfasts in other Italian hotels. Most things provided are sweet and neither bread nor sausage is really of a good quality. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in this region.

    « Amazing »

Fantastic hotel. The staff were outstanding down to the smallest details. My room was impeccable, truly no complaints. I stayed for 2 nights. I had awesome (and tasty) breakfasts in there every morning. Highest quality drinks and food; a remarkable home away from home. I will definitely stay here again next time. Well done Best Western Hotel!

« Horrible & freezing night. Unacceptable for a Best Western Hotel. »

Two stays in this hotel within the same week. The first was simply OK, in general but as the second one was horrible, I'll concentrate in the second one. After a trip into different Italian areas, we came back to this hotel, chosen as our operational basis. Knowing that we would arrive later evening, we called them early that same morning to inform them and everything seemed OK. Finally, we reached the hotel at 23,15 h. There was one receptionist who was very kind from the very beginning, supposedly watching our tired faces, after a long car drive. When reaching our room, I noticed the air conditioning was not working (August night, around 27 Celsius degrees). Call reception and first symptoms that something wasn't going properly. No other chance that go down again and ask him what happened. Only answer was there was a general malfunction in the system and that he was alone there. Only option then was to change the room. Come upstairs again, check the new room and the air conditioning that was working to ask my family to change the room, with my son, already sleeping. Change the room and after 5 minutes, we noticed that the air conditioning was working properly but impossible to readjust the temperature and fan control. Furthermore, the mini bar was only filled with one Coke and one Fanta. No water, at all. Come down again and this time, really upset. The receptionist was now really nervous and he contacted with somebody, to whom he explained the situation but apparently without any solution. He offered me the possibility of another room change but he should check it first. I accepted and came back to my second "frozen" room, where my family was already sleeping, all with extra sheets, due to the 21 degrees. After 15 minutes, nobody appeared and I renounced to do anything else, being my family completely frozen but asleep. Next morning, I was optimistically awaiting some comments / apologies from somebody at the Reception Desk but nothing happened. In view of this, I decided not to fill in the Hotel Complaint Book, paid the bill and explain this story here, for all international readers. Being a usual customer of Best Western, I consider this situation as completely unacceptable and we will never sleep in this hotel chain, again, if possible. Let me also say as a conclusion, that breakfast was really poor. Rooms were, as usual, big and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and last thing was the ridiculous management of the pool, owned by a external Club, which required an extra payment and a complicated trip to get in.

    « Very Disappointed BEWARE »

As a regular reviewer of great hotels and service it's a shame i have to do my first very poor review! I booked this hotel on route to Ancona via Booking.com. Unfortunately I broke down in the gottardo tunnel and informed the hotel at 10pm that i wouldn't be able to make my reservation. I would expect a small cancellation fee, but to charge the whole cost of the booking i think is despicable given the circumstances. Despite calling the hotel again and explaining the situation they were off hand and showed no understanding of the situation. BEWARE if you have to ever cancel this hotel they will not listen or give any empathy. Stay well away!

    « Excellent place »

Loved my stay here. Breakfast was good. The Manager was very helpful in giving us directions to the main attractions in Milano. He advised us on where to part before taking the Metro to the Duomo. My car GPS did not take me to #62, but we eventually found it using the cell phone GPS.

    « Great room »

Friendly staff on arrival, sorted rooms while we had a drink outside as we were early for check in. Nice cool reception area. Rooms were in second floor, very large and clean with a nice bathroom, all fairly modern looking. Nice balcony with table and chairs to chill. Hotel is about 15 minutes from Cremona centro, it was booked for me and as a rule I always stay as central as possible,so this was different. I thought it would be ok as the hotel has a shuttle bus service but it didn't work out that way,the bus was parked up and out of action, so taxis it was, costing around 20 euro one way. I didn't get time to try the pool which is a separate building. A decent choice for breakfast, latte macchiatos and fresh chocaupain croissants doing the trick for me. The bar is fairly limited but had enough choice for the few times we used it as we were heading into Cremona for food and drinks that evening. Good value for the room alone, very quiet so a great nights sleep! Would recommend if you don't mind being out if the city centre.

    « Great Hotel! »

I have to admit it was one of the best rooms I ever slept in!!!! Amazing king size bed with memory foam mattress, massive bathroom, very clean and well organised!!!! The only 'minus' was the breakfast; not as good and as reach as expected from an hotel like this!

    « Won't have a return visit »

This hotel is basically aimed at people having conference meetings etc. The room was fine and it was clean but that's the best I can say about it. There was no bar facility as such for a drink on the evening. We did get 2 glasses of wine but there was no tonic for a gin and tonic. The breakfast was not good for me as a fussy eater, it was extremely basic and the hot water machine wasn't working so the waitress was not happy that I needed hot water for my tea pot and had to boil a kettle. The receptionist however, were very friendly and helpful.

    « Terrible bed! »

If you can't get a good night sleep, there is no way a hotel is worth it. The bed is as hard as cement. I recall this hotel used to be alright. Not anymore. There is also something wrong with the bathrooms, if you're taking a shower, you can tell when the room next door has flushed the toilet, or if they have decided to take a shower too, your shower immediately turns colder. They made my stay pretty unpleasant. I'm definitely not going back.

    « Cremona palace »

Hotel is not close to Cremona. The Cremona palace is anything but. Poorly maintained property and the breakfast was lacking to put it mildly. We were disappointed in the property and found it very difficult to locate. We would Not suggest the hotel.

« Nice business hotel, recommended for short business stays »

Staying with Best Western Cremona Palace Hotel in Cremona was as expected, nice and smooth. Excellent communication for coordination before my stay. The hotel is new, clean and the quality of service is awesome. Though it is 7 km from Cremona center the hotel staff provided as needed a shuttle bus service, free of charge. Suitable for business and short stays, the hotel is well designed, the breakfast was complex and internet was free (though not that fast) and available in room also. I loved the white doors. Well isolated, the room was quiet, no sounds from neighbours were heard. The SPA requires going outside from the hotel. The pool at SPA was clean. The fitness room was well equipped. The sauna is a bit old, and during my stay was on maintenance. Definitely recommended!
