    « Great stay! »

Stayed here with friends for a weekend trip and was pleased with our stay! I wouldn't say there's anything special about it, it's your standard hotel. Checkin went smoothly. We stayed in a room with two double beds that included tv, fridge, microwave, and a pretty nice sized bathroom. The room was clean, beds were made daily, and there were plenty of shampoos, lotions, etc. provided. Breakfast was a basic layout of eggs, muffins, potatoes, etc. We chose this hotel because it is close driving distance to many wineries which is what we were there for.

« Best Western Concordville, Glen Mills, PA »

This has been our hotel of choice over the last 10 years when staying in the area. Exceptionally clean, excellent staff, more than adequate breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The only thing that we would like to see improved is the bathroom ventilation. Exhaust fans would help rid the mirrors of steam from the shower.

    « Best Western-Concordville Inn »

Stayed here for a wedding. Friendly/polite staff at check-in and check-out. Room was clean and comfy, spacious bathroom. Bed was also comfy -- slept like a log after partying hardy! Found that the facility was a tad pricey -- $139 for a blocked off room. Daughter made her reservation after deadline and got her room cheaper.

    « A Real Find »

We spent 4 nights visiting family and stayed here. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The reservation team and front desk were efficient and helpful. The prices can't be beat. The breakfast is a step above the norm. Select your ingredients for omelettes, a real treat. We had a problem with our car battery and the hotel staff was very helpful in getting us back on the road. The hotel is located close to shops and restaurants. This is the place to stay!

« Best Western Plus Is The Best! »

This is one of the best values, and bang for the buck out there. The FREE breakfast was phenomenal, the rooms were spacious, and the staff super friendly. Free coffee and fresh fruit 24/7 just served to make my stay that much nicer. Incredible experience. Well done Best Western.

    « BW »

Hotel very clean, lobby clean nice appearance, breakfast menu good, food good. Helpful staff, chef very good, I have eaten at the restaurant in past visits and the food there is quite good. Even the ducks were friendly....they 'quacked' at me every morning and evening....the one was cute....

« One night stay over for wedding! »

We arrived by 1:30 and I knew ahead of time that check-in was 4;00 but I had requested early check-in so I was very happy when our room was ready for us. We had a bit of a ride so we wanted to be able to relax and get dressed for the wedding since the bus would leave at 4:00. Room was large and updated. we really had room to spread out. We had everything you would expect hairdryer, etc. The bonus was the light up make-up mirror! The only problem I had was that night, even though it got cool out, our room was very warm and stuffy. Air-conditioning just kept on coming on. In the morning I felt that the whole common area was warm, too bad they couldn't just open windows. The breakfast was wonderful, it included many hot selections.

« Hotel stay prior to surgery »

My primary reason for booking a suite room was to be comfortable prior to surgery the next morning. Upon entering the room the temperature was 65 deg. and the heat was not working. I called the front desk and was told the mechanic had left for the day. So, on a freezing night, NO HEAT! I also was not offered a suite room change.

    « Group reservations »

While this hotel may be fine for individuals, it has been a nightmare to work with the management for group reservations and group stay. I would not recommend it for a group! There were too many difficulties to list. Also, the pool is very dirty (looked a lot like the summer Olympics!) and the breakfast area was not well cleaned or breakfast items restocked.

« Best, Best Western Hotel »

Great Hotel. Beautiful clean room that made my business travel comfortable. The hotel staff was outstanding. Very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was great. I had a freshly prepared omelet prepared by a chef at their omelet bar. I want to express that I have stayed at over 100 different hotels in the last year and this was hands down the best experience. Thank you!

« Clean room and friendly staff »

Check in was quick and staff was friendly. The room was large, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Everything appeared clean and organized. I stayed for a wedding at the Concordville Inn and it couldn't have been more convenient. Breakfast was great and express checkout was really nice (just leave the key in the room and leave!).

« Beautiful hotel with great staff »

Wonderful experience during my recent visit in Concordville. Great Staff, Nice spacious rooms, beautiful surroundings, great breakfast buffet. The decor of the hotel included many prints from the famous Andrew Wyeth. Loved visiting the Brandywine River Museum close by. All of the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The Concordville Inn next door is also great. No need to drive to go to a restaurant or a friendly bar.

    5
    « Good value! »

Always pleased with my stay here. Great ambience---feels like it's secluded even though it's very centrally located and there's a lot of shopping and history and art/ culture nearby. Short drive to Chadds Ford and Longwood Gardens. Staff is very courteous and helpful...and rooms are pretty comfortable. The grounds are pretty...gazebo and ducks...unusual for a similar type of hotel

    5
« Fantastic Rooms and Employees »

The hotel staff went above and beyond by checking me in early and giving me restaurant referrals. The rooms were excellently decorated, beds comfortable, room was nice and dark(I work 3rd shift). The chef at breakfast was phenomenal!

« DO NOT GO IN THE POOL!!! »

First, the check in experience was horrible. The people working at the front desk were not helpful at all. They acted like they didn't want to help you. Like we were the enemy. Not a good way to start the stay. We only stayed there one night luckily. I had reserved 2 rooms through Expedia and was told that they only had one room for my reservation, but they had another room available. The rooms were decent. Your average hotel room. They were clean though, which I think is the most important thing. The breakfast was your average hotel hot breakfast bar. Nothing exciting. We booked our stay here because they had a pretty good rating and they had an indoor pool. I decided before we left Saturday morning that I would let my 2 sons go for a swim, well let me say I am very upset with my self that I allowed them to get into that FILTHY pool. I should have known better when we walked up to the pool and there was a clump of hair floating on top, but my boys ages 5 and 3 were very excited about swimming so I grabbed a towel and scooped up the hair. They both got in reluctantly. My 5 year old went under water and came back up screaming that his eyes were burning. I grabbed my 3 year old before he went under and got them both out of the pool quickly. We ran back upstairs to our room, my 5 year old screaming and crying the entire way, and I quickly put them in the shower to rinse off. I immediately went to the front desk to speak to the manager. Well, let me say he was a huge disappointment. He appeared and spoke like he had no experience being a manger. Never once did he say "I'm sorry that your son was injured", all he gave were excuses and acted like I was in the wrong. I asked to speak to the General manager, who was not onsite, and he said he would have her give me a call. I finally heard from her as we were driving out of town and all she said was that she was going to need more information. I told her I would send her the photos of my sons swollen red eyes and photos that I took of the unclean pool and the hair that I scooped up out of the pool and she said that wasn't necessary. She said she was going to check the chemical levels of the pool tests and get back to me. Shouldn't they check the levels of the chemicals before they allow anyone to get into the pool??? The pool doesn't open until 9:00 am. There is plenty of time for the very incompetent manager to walk downstairs before allowing anyone to step foot in the pool and check the levels. It takes 30 seconds. The pool water was very cloudy and there was a brown ring around each of the filters at the bottom of the pool. I am calling the Best Western Corporate office today. Poor service. I would never stay nor recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. They need to shut down the pool immediately and take it off of their website. I'm very upset with myself for allowing this to happen.

    « Great place »

This is a very nice hotel.Everything was clean, staff was very helpful and professional. Room was very spacious(had a suite) and clean. Had a microwave and refrigerator. Very quiet, and a morning newspaper to read. Breakfast was a variety of food and very tasty.

    « Wonderful »

I attended a conference at this hotel and luckily was able to get a room there too. It is beautiful; the lobby, the grounds, the breaskfast area, everything is clean, well cared for and updated. There is a good size mini fridge, a microwave and a kuerig in the room with complimentary coffee and one tea. There were 4 outlets available to charge things My only complaint was the noisy heating/act system. It clunked on and off and woke me at least twice a night. I think the best part of this hotel is the staff. The desk clerks were more than helpful when I told them the ac unit was noisy they offered to switch my room to down the hall but I declined because I thought that one would be noisy too. I want to mention Kim and Roxann who both greeted me when I arrived and were very friendly to me every time I saw them; they asked if they could help me figure things out and seemed to enjoy their positions and helping people. These two especially deserve 5 stars. ??????????

« would stay here again »

This trip was for travel. (Longwood Gardens, etc.) Picked this hotel based upon other reviews and was extremely satisfied with our choice. An easy 15 min. drive to our destinations. All common areas inside and out were very cheerful and spotless. Front desk personnel were upbeat and very accommodating. The breakfast area was very roomy and provided a "cook your own egg" station. All breakfast personnel were very cheerful. Yes, I would absolute stay here again as this hotel has a very relaxing ambiance and the rooms have been updated. Another plus - restaurant/bar a quick walk through the parking lot. Our dining experience was very good. Thank you BW team for a great overall experience!!

    « Warmly recommended »

We enjoyed the hotel very much (we were at Oct-2016), the staff was very professional, the room was very clean, nice and wide, the breakfast was excellent, the hotel entrance is pretty nice. Alon and Orly Bineth Lifshits

    « Business meeting »

The rooms are very clean. Front desk was very helpful gave us a great rate. Free hot breakfast with special order for omelets. Coffee was exceptionally good. Looby was very clean and with marble ballester stairs.

« Fabulous Breakfast and Indoor Pool for the kids »

The rooms were clean and had amenities like mini-fridge. Probably the best breakfast buffet I have seen at a hotel of this standard. There were many choices to pick from. The pancake machine was down, but we enjoyed making belgian waffles, there were biscuits and gravy, good suasages, eggs, oatmeal, english muffins, and coffee!

    « A seven day stay »

For a family emergency, I had to find a hotel nearby my sister's home. For six nights, I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Concordville, PA. It turned out to be an excellent decision. Location is terrific. I was given an upgrade of a suite. Room was spacious, plenty of drawers, two large TV's, comfortable king size bed, fairly quiet, and plenty of free parking. There was always coffee available in the lobby. Friendly staff. And, for me, something really important ? I was able to open the windows (at least to a certain degree) and NOT have the air conditioning running full-time. I would hardly recommend this hotel.

    5
« Guest of the Week.... »

This was a great surprise. We had a suite upgrade plus a designated parking space. This was an excellent perk. We spent the day at Longwood Gardens then dinner with with our friends at one of our favorite spots, Byrsa. All and all, a terrific trip.

« Great Place For A Wedding Reception »

We have stayed in a number of Best Western Hotels over the years and this was the best. We were there for the wedding reception of a good friend. Our experience with this hotel was nothing but excellent.

    2
    « Terrible customer service »

I travel extensively and this is some of the worst customer service I have ever received. Aside from the manager calling me a liar for an issue that resulted from their clunkly online booking system, the stay was mediocre at best. I recommend you stay at another area hotel where the managers actually put their guests first and above their own personal insecurities.

« Good night and great morning »

Room was great and the breakfast was terrific.Wifi wasn't too good, kept going in and out but there was a wedding there so more young people on wifi may have slowed it. Location was perfect for our Longwood Garden trip and the grounds are beautiful.

    5
    « Near perfect experience »

From the friendly staff, to the comfortable beds, my stay at the best Western plus here has exceeded my expectations. The breakfast, inclusive with the stay, was a pleasant surprise. I could make my own pancakes or Belgian waffles or enjoy scrambled eggs or biscuits and gravy. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

« A Pleasant Stay in the Brandywine Valley »

My husband and I visit Longwood Gardens at least twice a year. Our usual hotel was full so we tried the Best Western in Concordville. We were not disappointed. The property is beautiful and the service is excellent. Our room was bigger than expected, modern and very clean. The breakfast was outstanding and WIFI easy to use. We will be staying here again.

« Stayed here for a nearby wedding. »

Great location, great hotel, missed the free breakfast :( The checkout was at noon which was perfect after a long night drinking at the wedding and the bar located steps away from the hotel. The bar being close was the perfect spot for an after party after the wedding.

    « Excellent »

Very best hotel. Great stay. The staff was great, the room was excellent. The overall appearance of the hotel was terrific. We used the pool and fitness room, the best. The breakfast was made to order eggs, excellent. Not the typical hotel continental breakfast but something one would expect from a first class hotel. Thanks

    « very nice stay »

Arrived on a Friday at check in time, a lot going on at hotel with wedding parties checking in. However, the hotel staff was right on top of things and got my party of 4 checked in quickly and efficiently. Room was more than we expected clean thru and thru and very comfortable. Great breakfast and the woman that runs it is very friendly and a great ambassador for the hotel. Loved her hopes she is still there when we visit in the future. Nice exercise facility and the pool has a little patio outside that people were using . Nice well cared for property with a restaurant and bar just behind and banquet rooms.

    4
    « Rock Allegiance »

The room was fantastic, along with amenities. The grounds were gorgeous, the pool was nice. Our beds were super comfy. Price was 10xs better than those that the concert partnered with and cheaper. Beware though, they put a hold on your credit card for "just in case" which can put a dent in your budget, but will eventually come off. Breakfast was good, a lot of choices and was tasty. Will definitely be staying here next year, just will plan a little more for the credit card hold!

    5
« Best Western Plus Concordville Hotel »

The best value in a complete hotel in the western Delaware County/Brandywine area. The staff - from front desk representatives to maintenance people to breakfast room servers to the manager - is uniformly excellent, friendly and caring.

    4
    « Nice »

Family trip, other reservation wasn't satisfactory, so came here instead. the hotel was close to good restaurants, not noisy, and was a good facility overall. Would definitely come back for any occasion.

    5
« Great Place- Will Stay Again »

The hotel grounds and lobby are maintained well. The room/bathroom were clean and up to date. The bed was perfect to sleep in. They offer pack-N-plays at no charge, and have complimentary newspapers at your door first thing in the morning. The breakfast is filling. You can make your own waffle. Close to Longwood Gardens.

    5
« Best Hotel Experience We've Ever Had »

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The grounds are gorgeous, the common areas are clean and attractive and our room (single king sized bed) was the cleanest I've ever been in and when I say clean I don't mean everything smelled like chemicals like most hotels do. I'm a germaphobe and I've never been so at ease in a hotel room! The front desk, housekeeping and breakfast attendees were all very pleasant. The free breakfast selection had amazing variety and included vegetarian and vegan options...even soymilk :) we were only there for approximately 10 or 11 hours, and for the first time in my life I actually wished I could have spent more time at the hotel!

    5
« A great place to stay in Glen Mills, Pa. »

Our group stayed at the Best Western Concordville Hotel for two days for a wedding. All of our accommodations met our expectations. The large bridal suite was just the right size. Our group enjoyed the use of the roof top bar for relaxing after the wedding festivities. The hot breakfast was fantastic both days and had something for everyone. I can easily recommend this facility of anyone planning a group gathering.

We have stayed here before. Room large and spacious. Free breakfast, eggs, sausage, bread, vanilla yogurt and granola. Waffles you can make. Pancake machine was broken. Food much better this time. Weddings both Friday night and Saturday while we were there but not distracting or noisy. Close to some things, Far from Longwood Gardens

    « OUTSTANDING »

Our second stay there. Perfect in every way. Spotless, accommodating, professional and friendly. We desperately needed early check in and our room was ready and waiting. You should be very proud of your staff.

    5
    « Top Notch »

Even though the Best Western Plus Concordville is not close to my destination, and there are hotels that are closer, I have chosen to stay here whenever I am in the area. It surpasses the others. The grounds are lovely. The lobby is beautiful. The room is attractive and comfortable. The breakfast is ample and delicious and included in the room fee. It is good for solo travelers and would be ideal for families with the park-like grounds and resident waterfowl, the game room, and indoor pool for the children and the exercise room for the adults. The staff is friendly and determined to make my stay perfect, and it is.

    3
    « Great Hotel-not so great staff »

The hotel is great the staff on the other hand not so great. We were there for a wedding and the staff was grumpy and even made a comment of how it "was not a great night" based on the fact that two wedding parties came in that night and he was the only one working I guess. I also have been charged 3 different rates currently waiting to see what the final one is!

    5
    « Excellent review »

This hotel was a total surprise as it was terrifci and the people were simply great. Everything was above expectaitons including the breakfast which was presented via chefs that were friendly and cooked as requested.

« This Best Western shines! »

Beautiful Hotel never looses its sparkle and welcome! You are wise to check for a vacancy at this hotel first! Beautiful grounds, picture perfect! Delicious restaurant within feet of the hotel. Busy highways on each side but once on grounds you will be happy.

    4
« Very hard to find »

The directions given on the website of the hotel were very misleading and we drove past the road leading to it twice before finally locating it. The picture of the inside of the hotel looks more spacious than it actually is.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Beautiful hotel! Had a great time staying at the hotel. Lots of amenities, including a great pool. Breakfast was the only weak spot I would say but more so because of the options. I would have preferred more fresh fruit. The rooms were great and the bed was very comfy.

« Clean, well furnished, polite and helpful staff, great location, only one concern... »

This hotel is very nice! My husband and I stayed recently for 3 nights. We were very comfortable in our room and the complimentary bfast was good. Location was quite convenient for us. My only concern was with the pool area. Honestly, to me, it looked like I'd walked into another hotel---a one or two star hotel. The water was clean, but the decor was cheap and tawdry looking. Not what we expected for such an otherwise lovely hotel. and the lighting was not clear in the pool area. I used the sauna which was OK. A nice feature. All in all, a good place to stay! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and return.

« Great place, Excellent service »

My niece Evaniz and her husband Nelson had their wedding reception at Best Western Plus Concordville Hotel, Glen Mills. Many of the guests, specially family members stayed at least 2 nights, I stayed 3 nights. Everything was perfect beginning to end. Beautiful wedding reception, genuine hospitality, great service, delicious and well presented food, caring staff, great customer service and so, so clean. This truly was a great stay away from home and sharing with the family was so special!! This is the first time that I complete a review but I had to do this one because in reality this Hotel truly excelled in their service.

    « Relaxing and upscale »

The room was the last on the hallway, and it was ideal location as it was quiet. Breakfast was awesome with lots of choices. The general look of the hotel and the amenities are upscale. If you want a nice hotel in the Brandywine valley, look no further!

« Great spot to stay »

Was debating on whether to stay here or another hotel minutes away. Glad I stayed here. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding especially with the made-to-order omelette station. « BEST IN THE HEART OF BRANDYWINE »

The arrival at the hotel is tranquil after driving to get there, it's welcomeing us home. Meg Rowe runs a tight ship at the hotel. Her concdern for guests comfort resonates thru the staff. The front desk staff Shawn Biley, Danuelle, Sara and Annie were very provfessional processing us into the home away from home. Our rooms were impeccably manicured with all amenities and quite. Ther was a family in the room next to mine with a young child and the only time I knew that was when we departed our rooms one morning at the same time. This reflects the quite of the rooms. Breakfast was delicious and all items were hot. and fully stocked.

« The hotel exceeded all expectations »

Great value & location. I blindly booked this hotel for 1 night and decided to return for a second given the great experience. The staff was helpful & friendly Hotel grounds and property were clean and quiet. Variety for breakfast was huge! I travel for a living and would return without a doubt. Keep up the good work! Mahalo!

The hotel was beautiful and the staff very helpful. My room was modern, clean and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was also very good, especially with the made to order omelet station. Yum! I would definitely visit this hotel again.

« Excellent Stay Following a Wonderful Wedding! »

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel following a wedding reception at the Concordville- Gold Ballroom. The Best Western is conveniently located across the parking light as you walk along a brick walkway that is well lit. Our room was perfectly chilled (AC) and the bed was super comfy! Perfect ending to a night of dancing! Thanks! Zak & Laura

« Great hotel just outside of Philadelphia »

A lovely hotel with friendly staff. We stopped here on the way to Washington. The double queen room was perfect for our family - two adults and two kids. The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was amazing - we stuffed our faces! They could have better oj, however, and the cappuccino from the machine was not good. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars - I would give 4.5 if I could. Would highly recommend.

    « Sure thing »

This hotel is conviently located, comfortable, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is great. We come here 2 or 3 times a year with friends and/or family to visit the area. We love Longwood Gardens along with the history of the area and the scenic countryside. One day we will venture into Philadelphia, but we will stay at this hotel.

    « Absolutely Wonderful Time »

We had a flight cancelled and needed a place to stay and Best Western Plus Concordville Hotel was one of the few place anywhere near the airport that had availability - In short, this is an outstanding hotel, beautiful, clean, friendly staff, well maintained and an outstanding free breakfast. If I'm ever in the area, I will definitely stay there again.

« Great Value, Beautiful Place »

We were surprised to drive up to this elegant hotel with a green lawn, geese, a pavilion and fountain. The interior has a curving marble staircase. Not your typical BW hotel. Everything was upscale including a chef who made eggs to order at breakfast, excellent staff looking after your every need and constantly cleaning, and a lovely, spacious bedroom. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The adjoining restaurant is also upscale (and not cheap) but offered a lovely dining experience. I used the Business Center, the fitness area and the lounge. All great. The only drawback was a not super friendly check in clerk (everyone else was amazingly personable, friendly and hardworking).

    « Democratic National Convention »

Our entourage of 20 people stayed here for 5 days. The hotel is very well managed, very clean, the desk, cleaning staff are remarkably courteous, professional and quiet. This hotel really goes out of his way to provide it's guests with quality service, discrete tones and lots of space to move around or not move around. The rooms are spacious, cleaned everyday unless you don't want it. It's about 16 makes from the airport, but hire an Uber for around 23.00. Well worth the stay.

This is our second visit to this beautiful hotel. It is a five star in my opinion. Great location for our needs. Clean and the beds are comfortable , breakfast outstanding. The grounds are pretty with flowers and a fountain in front and flowers at every entrance.. very pleasent place to stay.

    « Overall Great »

The hotel and food were wonderful. I loved the terrace bar. It was a great way to wind down. My room was clean and the staff was great. Other than the loud AC unit causing a restless night sleep, I would have given stellar review!

    « great value »

Rooms were clean and modern looking. free breakfast is one of the best I have had in my travels The only negative was that the room air conditioner was a little noisy when it turned on. Definitely recommend this motel.

« Elegant hotel, beautiful grounds. »

Comfortable beds in a large room. Large, open area for breakfast with omelets made to order. Restaurant and lounge/bar close by. Shopping center across street. We enjoyed the Brandywine Museum of Art on the river several miles away plus other Historical areas.

« Comfortable, clean and consistent »

I would recommend this hotel to anybody traveling and looking for a place to stay in the area. This was my second stay there, and it was as good as the first one. My place of work and my co workers use this hotel a lot and I have never heard of a disappointing experience.

    « Outstanding !! »

Outstanding service, clean rooms. To top it off great breakfast prepared by a chef. A variety of food & drinks. Thank you for your effort to make it a pleasant stay for us in Pensylvania..The kids loved taking pictures with the ducks.

    « Clean, and a Great Night's Sleep! »

This hotel is well-maintained and very clean. The rooms are nicely-sized with appropriate floorplans. The staff is friendly. The only thing I would recommend altering is the breakfast experience: it is crowded and the buffet itself is laid out awkwardly. Because it is held in a foyer, it is noisy and there is some annoying traffic as people vacate their rooms.

« Customer Service was HORRIBLE »

I have never been so unhappy with the running of a hotel in all my life. I frequently travel and stay at a range of hotels. The experience of checking in for a Bridal Party was horrific. Brides room was not ready until 15min prior to her wedding on the grounds of the hotel. They requested her to come to the desk to check in. Unacceptable. She had been available to check in all day and her room was not available until 445. just a regular suite.

    « Beautiful hotel »

I live 10 mins from here but my home AC died during a heat wave and I am not the type to tough it out.....I have driven past the sign for this place on route 1 and didn't think it would be anything special. Boy was I wrong! The place is beautiful. Very helpful staff at the front desk, spotless room. Room was very large, very comfy. The bath products were from bath and body works, nice scent! I spent a cool comfortable night! The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with the omelette station in addition to the usual cereals, toast, fruit, bacon, etc. I was a little disappointed when the AC was fixed so I could go home! I have found a new hotel to recommend for out of towners!

    « Definitely a PLUS! »

This has been one of the finer PLUS hotels. We love the location close to Longwood Gardens and nearby Philadelphia. All the staff were friendly and helpful. This is our first visit to a BW that has an omelette station and a yogurt dispensing machine. Both were fantastic! My omelettes were made to order and tasted great. The breakfast spread overall was the best that we have had. The living area in the queen suite was enormous and we wish that some of that space would actually be part of the bedroom instead, especially when the wall TV in the living room was not big enough and clear enough. With that said, the beds were very comfortable. The hotel grounds were well kept and pretty with a pond and a gazebo. We didn't have a chance to try the restaurant next door. Next time!

    « Sophisticated and Pristine »

My four night stay at this location was warm and welcoming. I was traveling alone on business and felt like I was at home, due to the hospitality that was provided by the staff. The desk staff was always cheerful. Shawn, in particular, was friendly, witty, and had a willingness to assist in making my stay a positive experience. Billy was also professional and attentive, always wearing a smile. An extensive breakfast line was included in the price of my stay. The breakfast chef was respectful and wanted to please by cooking omelets to meet your personal satisfaction. The breakfast staff was alert to the needs of the clients, making sure breakfast items were stocked and removing individuals dishes, as soon as they were empty, in order to provide a clean and clear area to relax. The custodial staff was constantly cleaning, yet the odor of unpleasant cleaners was not experienced. The grounds-keeping staff was outside every morning tending to plants, grounds, parking lots, and overall outside appearance of the hotel. Overall, the interior was one of sophistication, while the exterior permitted a sense of tranquility and relaxation. My room was clean and modern with a marble bathroom. Water pressure and temperature of the shower/bath was excellent. I appreciated the facilities availability to workout, swim, and sauna. The Inn/restaurant had delicious, upscale meals for a great price. Once again, presented by friendly, attentive staff, willing to meet all requests. I found the location to be quite convenient to the town, yet in a setting that did not make you feel that you were in the center of local business traffic congestion. The best asset of the hotel/inn is the relaxing experience with attentive personnel. I was surprised that the inn/restaurant/lounge was not within the hotel structure and required you to go outside to access it. However, it was worth it and I ate there, most evenings. If a wedding is occurring on the grounds, the festivities may create limited parking, so one needs to prepare in advance, if parking close to the entry is a necessity. All in all, I definitely recommend this place and will gladly return there, if the need arises.

« Lovely hotel in near Longwood Gardens »

This was our third stay at the BW Concordville, and it did not disappoint. Even though there was a wedding going on when we arrived, with the wedding party being photographed, we got the same great friendly and efficient service at check-in. The room was clean and so nicely laid out. Even though the wedding party was a young one, and there seemed to be many guests, we slept soundly all night and did not hear any signs of them until the morning. This BW has a little shop with cold beverages - alcoholic and non - and some snacks. The prices are totally honest. The lobby is lovely and a nice place to sit and relax. There is a restaurant right there of decent enough quality - steaks and chops type of place. VERY, very nice place to stay if you're visiting the area.

« This is not your father's Best Western »

My past experiences and expectations of Best Western haven't been terrible but honestly haven't been that great. Well this past visit changes all that now. I stayed here recently for a business trip and was just utterly impressed with everything. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful and when you walk in, the lobby is just exquisite. I believe they have just done a major renovation and boy does it show. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size and like my room very clean. The breakfast area is spacious and really has a lot of options. They even have a person there making omelettes of your choice. That this breakfast option is included with your stay is an added bonus. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely plan to stay here on my next visit and highly recommend it!

    « Spacious and Comfy »

Stayed in a room with one king bed. HUGE room with space to almost live like you do at home. Nicely remodeled with comfy furniture, good bed, decent pillows. Ask for a room away from the front of the hotel if you don't like road noise. I thought my window was open but it was just a window that did not filter sound too well. Big breakfast daily with tons of choices includimg eggs made to order! Friendly staff and good location, about 20 -30 mins from Philly Airport and easy drive to NJ and Delaware. Game room for kids on lower level along with laudry room and nice workout space. Would stay again.

    « Beware Of The Duck/Goose Feces »

This is by far the most beautiful Bestwestern that we have ever stayed at. Set on a hill overlooking a pond with lighted fountain. Your breath will be taken away when you walk in the main entrance. Rooms are awesome, service is incredible. Breakfast is perfectly set up and they even have a chef to make you a custom omelet. (He is a very serious man, no smiles, no talking, but great omelets) Two problems to be aware of: 1. If you are coming off Route 1 onto East 322 you can not make a left turn into the hotel. You must go to the next red light and make a u-turn. 2. There is an enormous duck & goose population inhabiting the pond area. Don't expect to take a walk around this beautiful facility without stepping in feces. Ask for a room facing the pond/fountain if you want to see it at night because you will not want to walk around after dark.

    « Best western Concordville »

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, very clean and exceptionally quiet. Breakfast was included and was also excelant, included an omelet station and more than enough options to satisfy anyone. This is a great property in a nice area and I highly recommend it.

« Good access to Philly »

The Concordville Hotel is an excellent property. It is convenient to both Philadelphia and Wilmington. The facilities have been improved and upgraded. The service is very good. During the week a chef is available to prepare omelettes at breakfast.

« Excellent Hotel and Breakfast »

We took a trip to Phila. & Longwood Gardens and stayed at the BWP Concordville. This was a good location for both areas. The hotel has clean updated rooms and a good hot breakfast with eggs to order. It is about a 40 minute ride to Phila and a 15 minute ride to Longwood. There are ample places to eat in the area as well.

    « Wonderful Visit »

Stayed 2 nights mid-week while attending preliminary rounds of the International Organ Competition at Longwood Gardens. I live less than 50 miles from this location but didn't want the hassle of driving back & forth, especially at night. My room was exceptionally clean, quiet & comfortable with a nicely done updated look & feel. I especially appreciated the front desk accommodating my request for early check-in. I didn't have time to use the gym, pool or sauna but went downstairs to check them out & was pleased with what I saw. Spacious & clean. My visit was enjoyable, relaxing & I'm glad I made the decision to stay the 2 nights rather the commute back & forth. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

    « Very Satisfield Customer »

We had stayed at this Hotel in the past, and were totally satisfied. This visit was the same. Everything from beginning to end was wonderful. Great location in the Brandywine Valley area, very accessible to all attractions. Highly recommend.

« The Best in the area »

It has what the best hotels offer; excellent staff, clean comfortable rooms, complete breakfast including omelet table, free wi-fi, indoor pool and workout center. Close to quaint towns west on Route 1 and multiple museums. While traffic can be heavy in the area, there are multiple major roads to travel to the PA and NJ Turnpikes.

« Fishing Seminar Part II »

After the fishing seminar (refer to my review of Harrah's Atlantic City) we decided to visit some relatives in PA. We were originally booked for one night but stayed an additional night. We had a great time. The room we stayed in was on the smaller side but we could see the upgrades that were done since the last time we were there. The complimentary breakfast is always good. Especially on the week days when they have a made to order omelet station. All of our requests were taken care of promptly. The young man at the front desk, Tyler, was a joy to work with. I would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Could have been a 5 »

Could have been a 5 if not for trouble with toilet. Ended up having to use a plunger myself. Staff came to investigate and eventually brought a plunger, but left and said he'd be back as he had people needing to check in downstairs. After several minutes (it's after 10pm), I used the plunger myself, eventually gettting the toilet to flush. I didn't hear back from the front desk and the plunger was still where I placed it outside my door in the morning. For a hotel this size and quality, there should be more than a single person on staff at night that can handle more than one issue at a time.

« Best of the Best Westerns »

I remember staying in Best Westerns years ago. They were ok. When I told someone about this hotel, they said "Of Course, it's a Plus." Well Plus or not, the family that manages this hotel seems to get that continuous investing and updating pays off. It was as clean as a NEW hotel. You know how with some hotels there's sort of stuff in the corners? None of that here. You know how with some hotels the mattresses are mushy and uncomfortable? Not here. Clean, fresh and comfortable. We stayed 4 nights, but by the time we saw the hotel in person and tried to add a night, it was fully booked. That's the trouble with Trip Advisor - news of these great hotels gets out : ) I'm taking the time to post this review because they deserve all of the accolades they receive. Great stay in nice grounds. We were at Talen Stadium a few of the days, and then also in central Philly. Great location. Great hotel. OH PS 1 and 2. 1. It was quiet! Love that. 2. The chef who makes made-to-order breakfast was so nice and tried to make sure everyone got exactly what they wanted.

    5
« Beautiful grounds, great breakfast »

What a great value for such a nice hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the interior looks high end, the work out facility has lots of equipment and plenty of room. The pool has a patio that you can walk out and sit. But the breakfast included with the room was outstanding. A chef is there to make your omelet to order and the sides of sausage and bacon was excellent. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Convenient and comfortable »

We stayed here while visiting a relative at the nearby (one block) Maris Grove retirement community. It was easy to access, the rooms were good, the breakfast was excellent, and the proximity to Maris Grove was the cherry on the sundae. (Cheaper that the other hotels in the area, as well.)

    5
    « Great Hotel »

    « Felt very welcome »

We are looking at hotels in which to plan a social even in 2017. We were very impressed with this facility and will be making our decision on a hotel very soon. The location is a bit east of where we want to be, but we are considering choosing this site very seriously because of the fine accommodations.

    « Nothing special »

I think it is best to avoid this hotel during the wedding season! Our group stayed in this hotel as we were guests at a nearby wedding, and we found out that there were 2 weddings happening at the hotel at the same time! As we arrived at 1 pm we were told we could not check in until 3 or 4 pm! They offered us a place to change and refreshen as we had to attend our party at 3 pm. When we came back to the hotel it was after midnight and we were booked into our room. Little did we know that the toilet was blocked! So every time we needed the toilet we had to take the elevator down to the first floor! But then in the morning they also closed this toilet off for cleaning! We were told to check out at 11, but at 10 am they knocked on our door, woke us up and they wanted our room! Honestly I don't understand the check in at 3 pm and check out at 10 am? Really? The hotel has a beautiful design, the rooms are nice and spacious - but the staff were not very friendly.

« Our go to place when visiting family and friends. »

We moved out of Delaware County many years ago. When we would return to visit family who still lives there, we found very few options close to Delco other than the dusty and dirty airport area. Finally we went out on a limb and decided to try the Concordville Inn even though it is a good 20 minute ride (with traffic) back to the Glenolden area. That was a good 15 years ago at least and it was the best decision we ever made. We have a preferred floor we like to stay on and they grant our request every time. The accommodations have always been clean, comfortable and quiet. Everything you need in a hotel room is provided; microwave, fridge, coffee maker with supplies, plenty of good quality pillows, etc The showers never run out of hot water and there are always plenty of towels. The complimentary hot breakfast with made to order omelettes (Monday - Friday) are always delicious and the same chef has been preparing them for us for as long as I can remember. It is nice to see his familiar face, and he always greets us with a good morning smile. One recent stay I left my brand new cell phone behind (imagine the panic) and it was overnighted to me and they did not charge me shipping costs. In a day where "nothing is for free" I was grateful for the favor. The location of The Concordville Inn is perfect for those visiting Longwood Gardens. Highly recommended!

    « Good value, comfortable »

Best Western Concordville proved a convenient and mostly comfortable stop for our visit to the Western Phila. suburbs. We enjoyed the indoor pool, free hot breakfast buffet and comfort of our fifth-floor suite. Our only criticism was that some other guests let their children wander the hallways and pool unsupervised, and groups of kids can be noisy at times. However, we would stay there again.

    « BEAUTIFUL »

« Best Best Western Ever! »

We often stay at Best Western Hotels, and they are always fine-to-very-good. But this one is by far the best, a luxury hotel! The room was beautiful, spacious, spotless, and so comfortable. The cooked breakfast is the finest kind, and all of the service was gracious and prompt.

    5
« Best of Best Western »

I often stay at Best Western hotels as they are consistently reliable: attractive lobby decor; courteous, friendly, and helpful staff; clean rooms; good continental breakfast; and competitive rates. The Concordville location surpassed any I have previously stayed at. The landscaping in front with the gazebo, ponds, and resident waterfowl was delightful. The lobby was beautifully appointed and the front desk staff was gracious and welcoming on every shift. The room was was furnished with standard hotel furnishings, but the bathroom had a modern flair. Although I didn't use them, there was a fitness room, a game room, and a heated indoor pool downstairs. There was plenty to choose from at the continental breakfast, and the chef made my omelet perfectly. I am so glad that my travel plans worked out that I could stay around the Chadds Ford/Concordville area, and that I stayed at this Best Western. I have already booked another reservation here.

    « Almost perfection »

We have stayed here many times and we love this place. The only thing that has changed that has disappointed us is the free breakfast was very good the first time and maybe even the second time we stayed. At some point maybe a year after we first stayed which was maybe in 2013 the eggs and waffles were no longer matching the rest of the experience. Other than that just that our room refrigerator did not have a freezer. Small detail but one that I look for and use whenever I travel.

    « Best Best Western »

Needed to stay in the area for an important family event. BW Concordville is often booked to capacity, so we were happy that we got a reservation. The room was renovated since our last visit and it was a wonderful surprise. Beautiful, spacious bathroom - double sinks, built-in storage, step up glass door shower...good lighting. The room was large, freshly decorated with good open area. We were very pleased with the accommodation, and always, the entire hotel and its services.

    3
    « Nice Property »

The hotel is located on a nice property, and has a retaurant located right behind the hotel the food was resonably priced and good. Room was smaller but nicely decorated. Was clean, but musty smelling. decent free breakfast. Has issues with the pool during my stay so were not able to use as much as we wanted. UNFRIENDLY staff at desk, nice housekeeping. Close to some nearby shopping.

« Fairly large suite, poor quality breakfast »

I recently stayed here for a weekend due to an event in the area. The hotel staff were pretty friendly and accommodating. The property was clean and well maintained. We reserved a suite which was a decent size and definitely larger than many suites in other hotels I have stayed in. It consisted of a fairly large bathroom with a sitting room that had a pull out couch, desk, TV, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Then there was a door that lead to the bedroom which had a king size bed and a TV and dresser. It was large enough for 4 adults. The hotel boasted about their free breakfast but it wasn't much at all. It consisted of eggs that seemed to be either instant or made from egg beaters, potatoes, and some unripe fruit. The coffee taste stale as well so we really didn't eat much. Despite the disappointing breakfast, this hotel is a pretty good deal for what you pay.

Stayed 4/8-9 at the hotel with a number of other people for a reunion at the Concordville Inn on Saturday. From the get go all of the staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are modern and very clean. I had a number of special requests and they met them with a smile...extra chairs, ice buckets, etc. We all had an excellent stay and from a very picky person I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough.

This hotel was a last minute pick. I never thought about Best Western to be so Great. The hotel was clean, the staff was courteous. When they said there was breakfast included in our price we didn't expect the selection offered. From cold cereal to fluffy warm eggs and sausage. The game room was perfect for the kids. The indoor pool gave them something to do. The grounds look like a picture book. After hours there is a nice lounge where you can relax and the restaurant was perfect since we didn't want to go out. I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Unfriendly bathroom »

This is a very nice hotel, but in trying to be trendy they put in bathroom sinks that sit on top of the counter. These are difficult to use if you are only 5 ft. 2 in. Also towel rack so close to cabinet it is difficult to hang towel. Food in adjacent restaurant was only fair despite its elegant appearance. Appitizers overcooked.

    5
    « Suites are HUGE »

If you're traveling with a family or group, a suite at this hotel is the way to go. Everyone gets their own space. Completely worth it. The décor is a little bit dated. But the rooms are clean. Oh and the walls were very thin. This didn't ever pose a problem for us, but I did notice we were able to hear everything going on around us.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

Clean with pleasant staff and a good free breakfast. Have stayed here several times while visiting daughter at college and have always been pleased. « Hoping For Better »

This hotel is listed as mandatory for soccer players families to stay at for an upcoming soccer tournament. First game is at 8am. Breakfast starts at 7:30. We must be at the field for that time. If we must stay at this hotel, shouldn't we get breakfast? Wouldn't you think they would start earlier to accommodate the traveling families that day? I'm hoping for better.... Maybe management sees this and recognizes the need to begin earlier that day. Fingers crossed. It would make for a much better experience at this location.

I would highly recommend this hotel, the hotel itself is beautiful; the staff are great; the amenities are amazing; the bathrooms are huge. We stayed for the convenience of a soccer tournament but this venue is great for wedding (one was going on during our stay.) The grounds to the hotel are beautiful...We will stay here again for sure if the need presents itself

I've stayed there multiple times and it is always first rate! The omelet bar in the morning is to die for!!! The staff, amenities, and overall appearance are all top shelf. I highly recommend this resort to anyone and everyone I meet.

I loved this Best Western! Recently renovated, the room and whole décor of the facility is excellent. When I returned home, I checked into the availability of a Best Western near Havre de Grace,MD for my wife and I to go for a weekend getaway in May. Thank you for a relaxing and comfortable night to make my business stay more relaxing.

    « Always A Pleasant Stay »

I usually book boutique hotels when I travel, but when in the Brandywine area I most frequently opt to stay at the Best Western in Concordville. The staff is professional and accommodating. The rooms are clean and sufficient for an overnight stay. It is also in a great location for shopping and dining at Terrain, browsing The Shoppes at Brinton Lakes, and a reasonable drive to Longwood Gardens.

    « Great Experience »

Best in the area and reasonably priced. I have stayed in several hotels in the area and this is top of the line. Great location, great people, great food. When I was checking out the location priority to attending my reunion I met Meg in the hallway and she took time out of her busy schedules and showed my the location of the ballroom and discussed the activities scheduled for the evening. I told her then that I would return and have stayed true to my word, and it was not a hard decision to make. My father was doing well on his chemo treatment; however, he took a turn for the worst. but we're trying to get him back to where he was. Staying at this facility is the best decision I've made and worth every penny, This is my first choice and I will return! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, at work, 702-455-4306 or my cell, 702-234-1185.

« Revived and Well rested!!! »

My husband and I enjoyed our little oasis at the Concordville Best Western hotel! There is so much to do there from competing in games to swimming in a heated pool or relaxing in the sauna or working out in their weight room. The room service was superb! I ordered a prime rib sandwich with provolone cheese and horseradish mousse that was to die for. My husband said his burger was top notch! Food was hot along with courteous service. Our family joined us for Sunday brunch. Karen our waitress was kind and attentive to our requests. We're already making plans for our next visit.

    « Beautiful and comfortable »

Knowing that Best Western usually offers a pleasant stay when travel, we booked a room at the Concordville Hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel itself is "grand" (marble steps and lobby, fountain in lobby, etc.) and the room was very nice and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Tyler, who checked us in when we arrived. The complimentary breakfast was good - a wide variety of traditional foods, plus an omelet station where you can order your own favorite combination. We would definitely stay here if we're ever traveling this way again.

    « Very relaxing stay! »

They have very quiet and relaxing rooms. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The free hot breakfast is very good...chef does a great job. Rates are reasonable. Overall, a nice place to stay. Restaurants and bar across the lot. Food at the lounge was very good...great service.

Great room at a great value...close to shops and eateries...our go to place when visiting this area. We enjoyed the breakfast that came with the room...hot eggs, homefries, and sausage links. I made my own waffle with their waffle station which was fun! Great cup of coffee and lots of choices for fruit.

« One of the nicest BWs we have stayed in in the US »

I have often wondered what made a BW a BW+ but this hotel deserved the +. Very nice building inside and out. Quick check-in even though we were a little early. Good breakfast and the omelet station was a definite plus! Nice restaurant but portions were too big, a senior menu would have been appreciated. Nice big room, comfortable bed, fridge and microwave. Housekeeping didn't replace coffee, coffee cups and plastic cups every day but replaced towels even when we hung them on the towel rail. Not a big deal but I had to go to reception a few times to replace. Also had problems with the TV a few times. Engineer told us to unplug for several minutes and then reconnect which was pretty simple but it would be nice to have this info in the room. Nice look and sauna but a clock would have been nice. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

« Better than the average bear. »

Beautiful location and property. Amenities galore... nice people. Bed was hard, walls thin ( I could hear the guy next door OVER my own husband and teen snoring). As the hotel cannot control the level of sound made by a human snoring, overall, a nice hotel and will likely stay here again.

    « Great stay »

We always return to the best western while in glen mills. Very nice furnishings and marble everywhere in the lobby. Nice touches in the rooms and great pillows. Breakfast is OK. The eggs appear to be the powdered type and the biscuits were quite hard this time. Great waffles and pancakes - custom omelettes made to order M-F. The restaurant up the Hill is fantastic!

    « Great Stay »

Second visit to the area and returned to the Best Western Plus in Concordville. The bed is very comfortable, lots of pillows to chose from, the water is hot and pressure is great; the staff has always been pleasant and helpful. The restaurant behind the hotel has a bar/lounge area as well as a formal dining area. The staff in the lounge are friendly and make you feel welcome! Enjoy the snacks and cheese/crackers while having a beverage and the food is fantastic. This is my hotel of choice when visiting the area.

    « 2015 New Year's Eve Gala »

The 2015 New Year's Eve Gala was fantastic. The food far exceeded our expectations - it was truly excellent. The band was top notch and kept the crowd on the floor all night. They catered to all tastes. The ballroom is beautiful and the service was 5 star!! I'll be back again next year with even more friends. Getting a Philly soft pretzel as we walked out the door at 1 a.m. was just the right finishing touch. We all made memories!

    « High Value »

We had a memorable stay at the Best Western Plus Concordville. First, the room and bathroom were luxurious and welcoming. The room art, furniture, and window treatments were over the top. Also, the chef prepared breakfast and fitness center are always excellent. This is based on my numerous stays at this hotel. This hotel has the best fitness center with a variety of weight machines and cardio equipment. Also, the fitness center is spacious and clean. The overnight rate was reasonable and a great value too.

« New Years Eve Gala »

This event was far more than I expected it to be. The gala was a 5 star event from start to finish. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The appetizers were over the top! From the crab cake station where they prepared freshly made cakes to the oyster/shrimp bar which was ice cold and very plentiful. The lamb chops were tender and very tasty. The drinks just flowed many stations where you didn't have to wait. Courtesy and professional was the key words to express how much we enjoyed the bartenders. Our surf and turf meal was beautiful. A large lobster tail and tender filet was the highlight of the night. The dessert table was huge and yummy. Last but not least (for sure) was the Midnight Hour band was fantastic!!!! Many thanks for a great and memorable evening. We had a blast! Jeanette Iacobucci

« Beware of wolves in sheep clothing »

We arrived at the hotel and got our room rather quickly. BUt that was about the best I can say about the hotel. the service was horrible!! The front desk personel , the manager ,and cleaning staff. I got yelled at when I complained about no coffee for us when we arrived. There was an empty desk beside the check in desk that could be used as a coffee bar. Her excuse was there are too many Christmas decorations. We stayed for 2 days so that we could visit Philadephia with my mother during the holidays. After being in Philadel[hia all day we ordered room service from their restaurant. The Restaurant is fabulas!! Unfortunately we received our room service in a plastic bag like we order fast food. REALLY! There was not a table in our room so we eat in bed. I think eating with a crumby bed. What Class!! When I got home I was missing my phone charger.

    « 2015 NYE GALA /bathroom problems/Cust service »

My Gf and I went to stay at the Concordville Inn Best Western for the 2015 New Years Eve Gala We got a king suite. The room was clean. It has a fridge, microwave, hot tub, tv, comfortable bed with clean sheets/comforter( see photos) Nice spacious area for the suite. The Bathroom was a major problem. For starters- the hot tub doesn't work (see photo) We wasted 30 min trying to figure it out and gave up trying to turn it on and when i called front desk they said none are working due to remodeling, but they still have instructions on door and no sign stating that the hot tub doesn't work. The bathroom very dimly lit. shower is darker than most closets. no light inside bathtub. Two out of the six light bulbs were not working (see photo) Bathroom sink fixture knobs were on completely backwards. It was very annoying(See photo) Bathroom wallpaper a little dated(see photo) No bathroom. ventilation which is a huge problem which could not control any odors. I was surprised that the wallpaper wasn't all coming off from the moisture. That could cause potential health issues with mold allergies. The customer service seemed to have gone downhill For starters when I called the front desk and ask for towels, I was put on hold for 10 min after I started to mention how many I would like. I finally gave up and called back , the front desk gave an attitude like ?Yeah you were telling that long list of what you wanted?..? Needless to say he was a bit rude. When he finally took the order on how many towels( and types I needed) The housekeeping showed up at my room. When I knocked on the door, I was greeted by a housekeeper that wasn't polite or chipper. She seemed like this was a bother and she acted like she wasn't interested in being courteous. She sure perked up after I gave her a tip though. As I experienced last year the TV volume is still set maximum of "15" which is too low to hear - and even harder the AC/Heat is. I think they do this because of thin walls? Well what's the point of a television if you cannot hear it! Its not very fair at all to the guests, especially my gf who is hard of hearing. And its so far away from the bed that you would need to sit up close to hear anything. It ruins the experience. The Best Western needs a lot of work for it to be recommended. The gala has its own problems Too many people to a table ( 12 for only a 6 footer) No where to put anything. We were all bumping into each others elbows. Too many place/glasses and nowhere to put anything else. The band was great( Midnight Hour) but I noticed there were 2 tables at the front close to the speakers. It might have been a bad experience for them being so close to them( hello ? tinnitus?)I hope I never get seated there if I come back. The dinner was served a bit too late and the filet mingons were all not well done( I had to ask for them to fix that) Also , I know people who work in catering and they left too many dirty plates and dishes during the gala. It was dirty dishes everywhere in the lobby where the bar is. That wouldn't have happened anywhere else Be forewarned of both the gala and this BW.

    « So much fun! »

We stayed at the hotel for a mini-vacation. My son loves the pool and the game room. The pool is sparkling clean and the perfect temperature. The breakfast buffet has an omelet station, tons of breakfast meats and plenty of kid friendly choices. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

« Best Western Plus Concordville Hotel »

The best overall value in the southwest Philadelphia, PA/Wilmington, DE suburban area. Superb attention and support from the staff even during the recent Christmas holiday. Another benefit is being a very short walk down the driveway from the Concordville Inn restaurant and its excellent snapper soup.

« BEST HOTEL WEST OF PHILADELPHIA »

The hotel's grounds are impeccabily maintained and like all other things "First Impressions make the Best impressions" statement is true about this hotel. The staff greets guests like famiy rather than "Heads on the Beds", Meg Rowe runs a tighjt ship and her staff exudes her care for the guests from the check in to the check out. When I have friends coein from out of state we stay there because of the close proximity to the historical and cultural sights of thw Brandywine Valley, Philadelphia and all things in between.

    « Quite nice... »

I stayed at this place for just one night: The hotel is clean, the rooms are modern and large and the staff is friendly. By American standards the breakfast was spectacular, especially the fresh omelettes were a delight. The Spa was not so impressive. First of all there were no bathrobes for the guests so you had to redress in the spa area. Also there is no shower in the front of the sauna. So people would probably use it and then jump into the pool afterwards without cleaning themselves. I would really urge the management to fix that problem. But that is my only complaint, so I'd definitely come back.

    5
« Good Hotel and Wonderful Breakfast »

The hotel is a very reasonable value and comfortable hotel in the area. What makes it great is the omelet chef and the breakfast. You will not find any better in the area. The price is reasonable and competitive for area.

« Lived up to the reviews! »

I am a "Marriott" gal, but after reading the reviews on here, I decided to give this place a chance. I'm so glad that I did! We traveled here from Tennessee to have Thanksgiving with family. Excellent facility ! Easy and helpful check in. Great beds. Spacious room. Outstanding breakfast with an omelette chef during the weekdays. Unfortunately, I became ill on Thanksgiving morning. The staff were so helpful in getting me directions to an urgent care facility. They were so great about giving us supplies and letting me rest in the room without being disturbed. They also delivered a roll away bed to our room so that my traveling buddies did not have to sleep with the "sick one". I'm very impressed with their attention to detail and we will definitely stay here in the future.

« Relaxed, confortable, home away from home. »

Comfortable and conveniently located off Route 1, close to shopping, restaurants, and Brandywine River area attractions, we enjoyed our time in the hotel. A super feature of this hotel is the fabulous included breakfast. Impressively competent chef Tony cranked out delicious omelets promptly to order. Wife and I stayed Monday and Tuesday with two other couples. Hotel staff was pleasant and responsive. Sergio (and others) at the front desk were outstanding in handling our group's somewhat complicated reservations. The hotel was quiet - no wedding revelers as another reviewer experienced. Our fourth floor "Executive King" room was fine: large, clean and mostly comfortable. I would have appreciated a newer mattress, wife thought it was fine. The humongous bathroom had a Jacuzzi bathtub, though the desk staff seemed surprised that it worked. Apparently the hotel is in the process of disabling/removing these formerly stylish attractions, and does not advertise them as a feature. One of our friends was upgraded to a large-apartment-sized fifth-floor suite. Could serve well as a permanent 2BR home! For me and my allergies, an absolute requirement of any place I stay is an absence of pets and smoking. This place fit the bill -- pet free (service animals excepted), and smoke free. The hotel has a good stand-alone restaurant and bar. Monday evening, we partook of the happy hour prices and freebies . Pleasant and friendly place. It you are visiting area attractions, it might be worthwhile asking about package tickets for sites such as the Brandywine River Museum and Longwood Gardens

« Great place to stay »

You normally don't think of a Best Western as being a high class hotel, this place is an exception. The place is usually booked solid on weekends due to having banquet facilities and hosting weddings. The grounds are beautiful with fountains and gazebos. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place.

    « A most inpressive Hotel »

I travel a lot for business and this was a great hotel. Looks, services and amenities were all top drawer. I Will be back. This WB+ looks more like a resort than a hotel. Lobby is white marble and has plenty of parking. The restaurant is separate and very good also. Overall, my best ever business stay. I must reevaluate and apologize for my underestimation of the Best Western Franchise.

    « NOT JUST A HEAD ON A BED »

This hotel is truly one of the gems of the Best Westreen chain due largely in part to the professionalism and inspiration of the General Manager Meg Rowe. She continuauly instills in her staff and exudes the care and comfort to we travellers. She went above the requirements to make us feel like guests in her home rather than just "Heads on the Beds". The grounds of the hotel are dressed in the seasonal attire now being Autum very "Fallish" and neat. The rooms are clean, quite and all amenties and operating equipment up to fully stocked and operational. Being nesteled in the Historic hub of southeastren Pa it lends easy access to Philadelphia, Wilimington and MANY of the Revolutionary War and other Historic sites, great reasturants.

« Not worth the price »

Atrium lobby and freebies were nice but room facilities need work. We chose this hotel because of closeness to airport and need to return rental car. The room was spacious but dated, bedside light burnt out, no cups in bathroom, bar sink had no water, and tub had mold around it. Some road noise too. Room values a little farther out from Phily are much better.

    « Comfortable in Concordville »

Returning to a hotel where you have previously sayed has its perks. The comfort level was appreciated and the breakfast very much enjoyed. The rooms were still beautifully cleaned and we actually used the pool and sauna this time! The comfortable warm indoor pool provided a gentle workout with a comforting warm up in the sauna afterwards. Pool towels were actually soft and large enough to use! Unfortunately, the heating system is still very loud and I woke up several times, even with earplugs. That is the only disappointing aspect of this property but it must be a design flaw. We will return, it's a beautiful place near Longwood Gardens.

« Business Trip and 1st time stay »

I stayed at this hotel for one night on business. I had heard from several coworkers who had stayed there before that this was the "best" Best Western. I definitely have to agree. We arrived in the evening and the drive up definitely makes you think you are not at a Best Western. The hotel is situated off the road on a small hill. Once we walked into the lobby, we were all impressed. Beautiful marble staircase leading to the second floor. Front desk staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. My room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also a nice size. The room was clean and well taken care of. Bed was comfortable and I had a good night sleep. The hotel was very quiet. Breakfast in the morning was very good. A lot of good choices along with an omelet station. Impressive for a free breakfast. I definitely would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

    « Beautiful Scenery »

This hotel was a wonderful surprise. The property was gorgeous: there were 2 gazebos, 1at the edge of the pond. There was a small walkway to a sitting area over the pond and a tiny waterfall. Inside the lobby was stunning. The room was large with a microwave, fridge and safe. It was spotless, we did not have a musty odor as some people stated! There was an indoor pool and sauna. Breakfast was included and there was something for everyone, even an omelette station. The staff were all very knowledeable and friendly.

    « Allergy haven. »

If you have allergies, do not stay at this hotel. It reeks of mold and mildew in the hallways and room. Our allergies were at full peak at this hotel. We stayed for two nights and the whole time we were stuffed up and unable to breathe. We found out that this hotel is over 50 yrs. old and it shows. We were in a king suite and the room had many issues. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open without putting something in front of it. The vanity was very low and looked liked it was made for a child. The carpeting is old and worn. The pillows on the king sized bed were tiny (five small pillows) across it. The sheets were very scratchy. At least the mattress was comfortable. The heat/AC unit sounded like a jet engine every time it turned on. Luckily, the bed area had a separate door to close so we could get some sleep from the very noisy heater. We had to call the front desk at 12:30 in the morning because some people in the room two doors down were drunk and running up and down the hallway waking up us. This continued for about an hour until they were told to stop. The WiFi in the hotel is a joke. Most of the time all we could get was one bar on our phones/computers. We kept getting dropped from the network. It didn't matter where you went in the hotel, it was the same everywhere. The only positive we can say it that the breakfast was better than most hotels. The chef does a great job cooking you an omelet to order and there are more choices of items than most breakfasts. All in all, the hotel needs a makeover in the rooms. The smell was the worst part that made our stay unenjoyable.

    « 1st time stay »

This was our first time staying at the Inn. The lobby is very elegant with a warm welcome. The team members that we encountered were very polite and attentive to our needs. « Great stay »

The Breakfast was fantastic, tasty and large variety. The rooms were clean and very quiet even though there was some kind of kids group near us. The hotel is beautiful but finding the front door for reception to check in was difficult in the dark Needs more lighted signs around the restaurant at the entrance from Route 1 to find which road takes you around the front.

    3
    « Okay »

Okay service and staff. Lobby looks great. Shawn could have been nicer. He has a bad attitude and doesn't seem interested in giving good customer service. He doesn't seem to get along with his coworkers and they don't seem to like him either.

    « Reviews are deceiving »

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for girls night out. Almost all the reviews were outstanding and most people really liked the hotel. I will mention the good first. The location is ideal. It is directly across the street from upscale shopping. The hotel grounds and landscaping are beautiful, however, the hotel accommodations were subpar. The rooms are in need of updating, the heater was extremely loud and we killed a bug in our room. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Unfortunately we would not stay here again.

« I love Breakfast and the Staff »
