BEST WESTERN at Historic Concord,Concord

    « Convenient Comfort »

Chain hotels are, generally speaking, a crapshoot. Not here -- no peeling paint, sagging mattresses, or sink stoppers that don't work. Not luxurious, but pleasant decor and good lighting. The staff are invariably friendly and helpful. And the rates are reasonable, too. You can't go wrong at the Historic Concord Best Western.

    « Just fine »

Stayed at Best Western Concord over thanksgiving with my sister. Convenient location near the highway, nice rooms, friendly staff and a better than average free breakfast. Overall a very good iteration of your standard motel experience. Nothing that would of make this stay stand out, but everything was very good. Would not hesitate to use this facility again.

« Nice place to stay in the area »

We wanted a place to stay that was near enough to the airport but not at the price of hotels closer. This worked out well. The price was less than half that of the airport hotels It is a two story building with about 3 entrances. Although rooms had sliding doors to the outside, you entered through an indoor hallway. Upon checkin, there were oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies available in the office that were delicious. The room rate includes a breakfast that you can get in the breakfast room or have delivered. I had mine delivered while my friend went to the breakfast room. I had ordered it for 8:30 am but there was a knock on the door about an hour earlier. The room had two beds, desk and chair, refrigerator and lots of room for clothes. The bathroom had a hair dryer and soaps, shampoo and conditioner. There was a tub in the bathroom. The room was clean. The location worked well for access to the airport which was about a 45 minute drive with traffic.

    « Historic Concord »

A friendly and caring staff. Great location!!! We were warmling greeted and offered cookies! The location is close to Minute Man National Historic Park which was the object of our visit to Concord. Easy to find. Grounds are well kept. And did I mention they offered us Cookies! The breakfast was abundant and fresh and well presented. Lots and lots of choices. The lady running the breakfast bar was friendly and constantly updating the food and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. We would certainly return if in the area again.

« An old fashioned looking motel with modern amenities and excellent service. »

We had large rooms on the second floor. All rooms are far from the highway and very quiet. Excellent staff and service. Free wifi and free computers with printers are available. Great buffet breakfast with an amazing pancake machine. Very good Italian restaurant right next door. We really enjoyed our stay.

    « Keeps Getting Better »

As a BW Rewards member, I am always inclined to stay at Best Westerns, and Historic Concord continues to impress. Contemporary interior design, clean rooms and comfortable beds would be enough to make me happy, but the excellent customer service I received on this most recent visit guarantee my repeat business.

« Good Rates, Nice Staff »

Recently stayed at the Best Western at Historic Concord while attending the Head of the Charles in Boston. I found the accommodations to be good; the room was clean and the beds very comfortable, and the cost was very reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful; I am sure we will stay there again!

« Full Breakfast, Full Service Motel »

After a long drive it was nice to find a room here. We had originally booked a room with one bed and then happened to glance into a room with 2 queens. The difference in room size was amazing. We opted for the 2 beds since we had lots of luggage. A dog in the room next door yapped for hours at night until the front desk went and took the dog to the lobby. They did step in when that real nuisance happened. The guest had left it in the room. The breakfast and the breakfast room were both large. Finding a laundry room we could use was great!

    5
« Going the extra mile »

This hotel was a wonderful hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. They went the "extra mile" helping us out with directions to our next destination !! Even, googling a map, with printed directions, that we could take with us !! And, after we left, we discovered that my husband had lost his car and house keys, and they, even, looked twice in the room that we had stayed at, and finally found them, and sent them to our home, with extra bubble wrap, so the car keys wouldn't get crushed in the mail !!! WE would HIGHLY recommend this hotel !!!

    5
    « Perfect! »

I stayed for two nights and was out most of my visit, but I loved the time I spent -- very comfortable and the high-speed internet was convenient. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and conveniently timed for a weekend.

    « Pricey, but Excellent! »

The room was very big and met our needs perfectly. We had read reviews about the famous breakfast buffet and when we actually got there we were incredibly impressed...it was presented wonderfully, and offered so many fresh choices. Bravo!

    5
« they do everything right »

I was a little hesitant about staying here because I usually stay in a slight more upscale hotel. But from check in to check out three days later they could not have done anything better. Staff exceptional, rooms clean and renovated, even the breakfast was far superior to most motel style buffets. Great staff on every level.

    5
    « highly recommend »

Who else gives you a cookie when you check in? Thats how meticulous the management is here. Well located, clean, good price, good breakfast. Walking distance to an excellent restaurant. All the others in Concord are excellent, but over priced and pretentious.

    5
« Excellent place to take the 4-legged children! »

Recently I needed to attend a meeting in the Boston area. Took my wife and our pups. Very comfortable and pleasant stay for all. Accommodations were excellent. Great place to stay if traveling with your pups. Even had a complimentary dog biscuit for them on arrival with a cookie for the humans!

« Clean and great value »

We had Business in Boston and we added a day trip to visit the Historic town of Concord. This Hotel was Very Clean with New decor and room furnishings. The staff was attentive and the breakfast was constantly refilled, featuring eggs, beakfast meats as well as pancakes and cereals, fresh fruits and cheese, yogurt, bread, bagels, muffins, coffee, tea and juices. A great value for the price and proximity to Boston.

    5
    « Perfect Stay »

If you plan to visit Concord, MA, this is the hotel to reside. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. The location is close to all the historic sites and many options for food. It sits right on the interstate that can take you to the city of Boston for a 30 minute ride.

    3
« Affordable stay around Concord »

The location is central to lots of places. It's close to the interstate and five minutes from Concord proper. The outside is slightly dated but don't let it fool you. The room is modern and seemingly recently renovated. The room is a smidge on the small side but clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was really good. Overall, a good stay in a central location. Front desk was helpful and kind.

    5
« The perfect place for us »

This hotel was the very best place we could have found for our stay in Concord. The staff was friendly and helpful. They offered us materials about the sites we wished to visit around Concord including maps and the interesting information. They introduced us to a list of good eating establishments. They even had homemade cookies. Their complimentary breakfast service was delightful offering a variety of menu items. They had an excellent workout room as well. The rooms were nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay in Concord and this motel was a great place to stay for rest and relaxation after a long day of visiting the historic and literary sites in the area.

    4
« Great Location for traveling around the area »

This was a perfect place to stay if you need a home base. Four of us stayed a week here and every day took a trip to a different area to site see. All the historic places that we wanted to see were within easy driving distance, from Gloucester to Nantucket. Learned to leave in late morning to avoid the most traffic but still it was very doable from the Hotel. The breakfasts were excellent and very good choice. I would recommend this BW at Historic Concord.

    3
    « Best Western »

Good for the price. I would do it again for the price I paid- clean and in a good location -close to all the highways. Laundry service was down, although everything else was working, clean and in order

    « Two night stay »

In the area for two days for doctor visits. While this place is close to the Hospital and the doctors we found it not to be the cleanest place for the price we paid. The noise level outside early in the morning was a little too much at 6:30 am. The smoking on the first floor came up to the our room on the second floor. You'd think the smoking rooms would be on the second floor.....smoke goes up....not down...

    5
    « Excellent Staff »

We arrived late morning and the desk staff were excellent, allowing us to check in several hours earlier than published. The room was very clean and well appointed and had a small private terrace facing a wooded area. The outdoor swimming pool was well maintained and easily accessible from our ground floor room. Breakfast was also very good with pleasant staff to help out. The hotel is on the outskirts of Concord but has a great Italian restaurant right next door so no need to drive for dinner.

    5
« A BETTER "DEAL" THAN HE PLAZA »

Before you dismiss this review as hopeless naive hyperbole, understand that we have stayed at both. Our BW Concord room was larger, cleaner, more modern. Across the hall from us at the BW was a free self serve laundry, ice machine, bottled water, soft drinks and snacks. We awoke this morning to a free breakfast buffet that included eggs, potatoes rolls and gravy. Also cereals, bagels, fresh OJ, yougert and delicious coffee. We arrived in Concord earlier than planned and were waved into our rooms with a smile and two welcoming chocolate chip cookies. We had stayed here previously, so I had requested a particular room (ground floor, close to an exit) No problem. Reserved and delivered. All this for one fifth the cost of the Plaza...and without the attendant "airs" the Plaza delivers.

    5
    « Well Rested »

Clean pet friendly hotel. Great place to stop in Concord, MA. Easy access to Route 2 and Boston. We were traveling with our small dog and the hotel was great in making us all feel welcomed. Rooms were clean and quiet.

    5
    « A night to Remeber »

We spent a night here during my 50th High School Reunion. Excellent full breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately, I left an item in the room, but was highly impressed with the effort made to return it to me.

    3
« An OK stay before flying out of Logan... »

The staff are great - friendly and professional. Parking is easy and plentiful. Our 1 night stay would have been so much better had our "neighbors" not checked in at 11 pm and slammed doors off and on until 1 am. The location itself is quiet and it's an easy drive in Concord and the historic sights. I wish Best Western would get decent pillows.

    5
« A well kept property with outstanding staff »

We stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The property was beautifully landscaped, the rooms were clean and attractive and the staff was friendly, helpful and made us feel "at home".

    4
    « Good overnight stay »

Spent a night here on way to Vermont. Room large and clean, as was en suite. All rooms are non smoking but unfortunately the previous occupants must have been smokers as it really smelt of old smoke. I put up with it as only there for a night, but it wasn't pleasant. There is a swimming pool, which we didn't get to use. The breakfast was lovely...lots on offer including bacon and eggs. However, the breakfast room is really small and inadequate for the number of guests in the hotel. Waiting to find a seat was a bind. Coffee and tea, as well as water, available all the time . I'd book here again, but not sure I'd tolerate a smoke filled room again.

    5
    « Family and pet »

This hotel was a fantastic place to stay if you don't want to leave your dog in a kennel or "doggie hotel" overnight! The amenities of a balcony door to use to take your baby for a walk. I probably will come back here again soon.

    5
« Excellent Service at an Excellent Price »

This Best Western was clean, well appointed and nicely equipt for a very relaxing stay while I was in Concord, MA. There are little details that make your trip feel personal, and which you would not expect from a large chain hotel (cookie & candies in the lobby, relaxed and friendly staff.) I would stay there again with pleasure!

    « Needs Updating »

Fortunately, we stayed on the first floor as this place does not have an elevator. Unfortunately, the first floor didn't feel very safe. The sliding glass doors were unlocked upon our arrival. The vanity was very small and hard to work with. The beds were okay, but we were glad we were only there for one night. This could be a nice hotel if it was brought up to date.

    4
    « Good experience »

The room was fine. I didn't have time to use the pool or fitness center, but the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. I would recommend the hotel based on the staff working there. They are willing to help you out however possible and the cookies are delicious! The breakfast was fantastic too!

    5
« Very pleased with everything »

We were very pleased with everything at this hotel; checked in early, quickly by very friendly, efficient young lady. Received 1st floor as requested. Room was nicely & comfortably furnished, very clean, the bed was comfy. The breakfast selection was outstanding, everything was fresh & good. The location is perfect, about 5 min. ride to center of Concord therefore close to all Concord attractions. Will definitely stay here again.

    « Everything very nice »

Trying to eat light, we each ordered salads and then split a personal pizza which was more than enough food. Loved my panzenella salad, fresh, tasty . Spouse salad filled with Gorgonzola and cranberries. Our shared pizza was delish, with sausage and pepperoni. We had delicious cosmos and Bloody Mary's. Service was timely and friendly. Manager checked on us which is appreciated. Would recommend and go back but only here two nights and will be trying Asian gourmet tomorrow.

    3
« historic but nice area »

room was clean but small and the carpet is old. Breakfast was terrible, grounds in the coffee, which they fixed, but the eggs are powdered and the oatmeal was runny, too much water. The neighborhood is quiet at night, but don't try to sleep in, because its right next to a speed trap on the highway.

    4
« Nice hotel, but watch the room rate charges »

Very nice room, great location, but my $155 room rate (taxes included) somehow turned into $174 as they double-charged me for the taxes. Very annoying. Otherwise a great place to stay. The breakfast buffet is outstanding--just press a button and a minute later a hot pancake drops onto your plate. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, toast, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, and lots more. Just keep an eye on your final bill!

    3
    « Nothing Special »

We stayed here for one night while visiting the area. It was hard to find our room- the halls are very confusing. The rooms are clean and comfortable- this is just an average hotel. Breakfast was mediocre- the dining room is upstairs and very sterile. Food was very basic. Parking is easy- plenty of it. We ate at the grossly overpriced Italian restaurant next to the hotel.

    5
« Trip to Lexington and Concord »

We chose the hotel primarily for its location as we visited the Lexington sites one day and finisher with Concord on day 2. The hotel was fine, a little more expensive that we would have liked but that's because of its location. Everything was clean, service was great and the breakfast was ample and well presented.

    3
« Quiet and comfortable hotel »

Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel is a "standard" Best Western without a great deal of character. There is plenty of free parking round the hotel. However, we thought the breakfast rather disappointing. The hot buffet was very overcooked and dried out. The hotel is also some way away from the historic centre of Concord. So if you want just to walk out to dinner the nearest place to eat is an Italian restaurant, Papa Razzi, which serves good food but is also rather up market and expensive.

    4
    « Clean and pleasant »

Staff at this location are quite friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nicely furnished. Very quiet and was able to comfortably rest. Plenty of parking and close by to restaurants. Breakfast was nice and had a decent selection. Would recommend this location to others.

  • 5
    « Deluxe breakfast »

It advertises a deluxe breakfast and it certainly was. There was so much choice. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely and you are offered a complimentary cookie when you check in, along with a map of the area and a comprehensive list of places to eat. There is an ouside pool and gym, a hospitality tray in the room, which includes a packet of biscuits and toiletries in the bathroom. They do all they can to make a guest feel welcome.

    4
« Pet-Free Rooms are on the Second Floor »

This is a clean, well-kept older property that accepts pets. If you want a pet-free room, you need to request one on the second floor, but be aware there is no elevator. Our room had a funky free-standing closet with doors that creaked loudly. The bathroom was uncomfortably small, but there was a lot of room for toiletries. The outdoor pool was very nice. The complimentary breakfast was the best I've ever seen in this type of hotel, with a wide array of choices, and even included almond milk. There are a lot of tables, and two employees were kept busy restocking and tidying up. I found the staff to be very helpful and personable, especially the fellow at the front desk (who I believe was named Matt.)

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

Friendly staff, nice pool, especially if you get a room facing the pool. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices. The location is great because it is off on a side road with a near by gas station and Italian restaurant.

    5
« Darcy is the best! »

Darcy was friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to please her guests! She went above and beyond to help answer all of my questions and her hospitality was what made my trip a great experience! And...cookies!

    4
    « confortable »

hotel is just off route 2 near the rotary, so not in center of Concord. is very convenient to everywhere. today's visit was one of several I have experienced over last 5 years. quality is consistent. nice breakfast. rooms quiet. comfortable. one can park outside room most of time. rooms have wifi. property is well-maintained. two restaurants next door on one side, gas station on the other. 24 hr coffee at desk, often there are cookies, and there is a computer nearby for guests. pool is in center courtyard, quite attractive.

    5
« Excellent Stay With No Surprises »

Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast included. This is an older motel that has been spiffed up. It has all the marks of being extremely well managed. Front desk staff was young, well trained, and very much on top of things (students?). It is conveniently located. We had a very nice stay and would certainly stay here again.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

Very nice rooms, well kept, clean, spacious, great breakfast and really nice helpful staff. Beautiful location too. It was easy to find and an easy walk to see some beautiful homes. It is an easy subway ride into Boston downtown.

    4
    « Comfortably satisfied! »

Very nice people, very clean, nice breakfast, quiet ... what could you ask for more?! A bit expensive I would say but there is nothing cheap around Boston area so ... Hotel getting a bit old but again, very well maintain and clean so can't complain. On route 2, so straight 16 miles to downtown Boston, so easy acces...

    5
« Convenient to Walden Pond »

This hotel is clean, and incredibly convenient to Walden Pond, which is where I visit frequently. And free breakfast! The room was quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will come back here many times in the future.

    4
    « Lovely pool »

I stayed here for one night with a friend. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the room was spacious and very nice. On a hot summer day I especially appreciated the free outdoor pool, which I was able to use alone both in the evening and in the morning. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices, but the quality was not quite what I had expected. Also, I would have appreciated real tableware instead of the disposable ones.

  • 4
    « Convenient Location »

Very friendly and helpful staff. Maps provided for eating and historical places. Rooms were clean and we were able to check in early. No elevators for second floor rooms. Pool outside was very nice. Rooms had basic amenities with large flat screen tv. Fresh cookies at check-in time and coffee and infused water in the lobby. Great Italian restaurant right next door. Close to main highway. Great one or two night place to stay.

    5
« Great stay in Concord »

When we arrived the guy on the front desk was very welcoming and knowledgeble of the local area. The breakfast had a wide range of items available and the serving staff were cautious and helpful. The staff who cleaned our room during our stay did a great job. I would certainly return to this hotel again.

    2
    « I expected more from a Best Western. »

Our room was clean but antiquated. The room and bathroom need to be updated desperately. No frills, no decorations, a plastic bench to hold toiletries in the bathroom. I was very disappointed but stayed there on advice from a friend who suggested the Italian restaurant next door - which was great!

    5
    « Very helpful personnel... »

We traveled to Concord for my Mom's Memorial Service and arrived earlier than we thought we would - had adjoining rooms. The staff got the rooms ready in no time for us - very nice of them!! The rooms were spacious and fit our family very well. My grandson used the pool and liked it alot. We had dinner next door with the rest of our family in the area. Good breakfast, comfortable beds and a great location.

    5
    « Greatvalue »

We stayed in room 259 overlooking the pool. Room was very clean, very spacious, comfortable beds, quiet when windows closed. Staff is very helpful. Best free hotel breakfast buffet I have experienced - real eggs, organic oatmeal, large choice of teas, fresh fruit, filtered hot and cold water, newspapers. No chance to try the pool because of rain. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

    3
    « Good. »

This is one of only 2 options in Concord, and is priced accordingly. It is a perfectly nice Best Western, just a bit overpriced for the actual space. The location is very convenient, although not located in the historic downtown of Concord.

    5
    « Wonderful! »

I recently booked this hotel while my daughter attended her orientation in Boston. I liked the proximity to Boston (25-35 minutes depending on traffic.) I arrived way too early to check in, but the staff were friendly and explained that it wasn't possible to check in since all the rooms were booked the night before. They graciously gave me a map and directions to some places I could go for lunch downtown (5-10 minute drive.) I went and had a bite to eat at Helen's (also really good!) I stopped at the grocery store and went back to the hotel, but was still too early. I was exhausted, so I just hung out in my car for a bit. When I went in at 2:30 and asked again, they not only had one ready but they upgraded me to a King Suite. They did ask ahead of time if second floor was OK because they didn't have an elevator. I accepted that one and headed up to the room. It was comparable to some of the hotels that cost 4 times as much in which I had stayed in Boston! The bed was super comfortable, air conditioner already set to a comfortable level, desk, chair, armoire, and the dresser with the tv also housed a mini-fridge. The coffee maker had a small pot and not the single brew cups one that I have had before. I don't usually sleep well and even worse when I am away, but I fell asleep and stayed asleep all night! Breakfast had a variety of items and has many gluten-free items (eggs, bacon, cereal.) I didn't have time to use the pools but took a picture from the second floor. I try and give the best opinion I can of a hotel because I trust the honest reviews on Trip Advisor and used those posted by others to book hotels. I cannot find anything bad about this stay. It was clean, had a balcony with chairs if I wanted to sit outside, and I rested well. I highly recommend it! Trish at the front desk was really nice!

    « Really good »

Great pool area, big clean and modern rooms, nice staff, ok breakfast and free cookies at arrival was great. Best hotel we had on our trip this year (we went to NY, Boston, Niagara Falls Canada and Washington). Concord is a very charming little city. Nice residential areas with beautiful houses - and calm, green and cosy streets. Great to be close to the many historic tourist attractions. The video at "The minute man visitor center" is a must see. Gives a perfect introduktion to the local history that made a big difference for the entire USA.

    « Well Maintained - Functional Classic »

Very pleased with stay. Building and grounds well maintained. Staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms were good size. Pool was in great shape. The breakfast was great , full breakfast. I enjoy taking early morning walks, hotel is 2 miles from downtown Concord, 3 miles from Minute Man National Historic Park , site of the "Shot Heard around the World". Had a great morning walk followed by the wonderful breakfast and a dip in the pool. One thing I would change is pool hours , currently 8-8 , I would change it 8-10.

    « What a nice surprise »

This is an old motel remodeled into a nice place to stay. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bedding really nice. There was a refrigerator and a high def tv. The small bathroom was nicely remodeled and had great storage to stow make up and grooming aids. Would definitely recommend and rebook myself.

« Quiet place to rest »

Likes: rooms were clean, nice amenities, it's quiet, the rooms have a sliding glass door to a mini patio for each room. There is a washer and dryer (only 1). The staff was always friendly and cheerful. No charge for parking or internet. The breakfast was a full breakfast. Eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, fruit, cheese, pastries, breads, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices, cereal and milk (thought I saw almond or soy milk too). There was a fridge in my room and they have a shared microwave near the vending machine on first floor. It is next to 2 restaurants that were good (although the curb appeal wouldn't do them justice). I stayed here for work but there was plenty of places to go to see things for vacation. This is an older hotel but it was well maintained.

    4
    « Pleasant Surprise »

The establishment has made nice upgrades to this older hotel. The location and the hotel was quiet. The lobby and room was very... clean. Extravagance isn't always necessary if you're getting late. Although further away from the conference site, I didn't experience the problems getting there that my colleagues did who were closer. The only negative were travel size pillows and walking up stairs although there was help on the latter. I would come again.

« Don't judge this book by its cover! »

From the online photos and when you drive by, this may not look your standard fare hotel. It looks dated and is at crossroads of the highway and there is no elevator (2 stories) but it was a really great stay. We used it as a base for college visits in Waltham which was quite pricey by comparison. The front desk is super friendly and helpful, the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Plus it's next door to (walking distance) to a really great Italian restaurant!

    « Family Stay »

Hotel is good except for the very overgrown bushes outside that hamper use of patio area. Also, front desk did mess up reservation, so be sure to confirm all details (floor level and adjoining room, if important) when making reservation.

    « Great Stay »

For a budget friendly spot in one of the nation's premier historical areas, there is no better place to stay! This BW should be the model for BWs everywhere--especially the welcome with warm cookies and the scrumptious breakfast that has something for everyone. This is also a fabulous place for anyone traveling with a well-behaved pet!

« Pricey, Dated Property but, Not Bad »

I thought the overall cost of the room versus the age of the property and convenience to Boston was a bit much. It is close to Minuteman National Historic Park but a bit far out to make it convenient to Boston, especially considering Route 2 traffic. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom, though small, was updated, kept very clean and restocked daily.

great location for a few days adventure, near Walden Pond, downtown Concord, near bike trails and National Park. great restaurant next door, pricy but top quality food. Downtown Concord is a nice place for a stroll as well as Lexington.

« Quality hotel close to Concord town »

Best Western Concord was very pleasant, nicely priced, with quality breakfast and exercise area and swimming. It's close to concord with a good price. I also liked the Italian and Asian restaurants just across the street.

« Perfect Location, Terrific Hotel »

This hotel is located right in the middle of so many historic sites and a very easy drive into Boston. The hotel itself is clean, friendly and modern. The breakfast is phenomenal! A fabulous place for families to stay when visiting the area!

« The hotel room could be in any 4 star hotel »

This Best Western has a dated exterior, but what a pleasant surprise when we entered our room. We were in a 2 double bed room. It is much larger than your average hotel room, very well decorated, and had all the amenities you would want: nice TV, lots of channels, movies, good internet connection, coffee maker, refrigerator. This room looked like a 4 star hotel. There were several microwaves on each floor, but not in room. The breakfast buffet was generous and typical. The hotel was full, but quiet. Even though our room was on the first floor by the pool, we did not hear anything while the kids were playing in it. It has a nice patio with small table and 2 chairs outside the sliding glass door. The bathroom was clean and modern. There was a vanity outside of the bathroom, which is always nice. The room had a chair, side table and desk, dresser, and large side bench. We will stay here every time we visit our daughter and son in law in the future (they live in a small apt.). The staff was outstanding in their customer service-free cookies everyday. We stayed here 4 nights. I wish all hotels had this standard. The beds were great! The location is just minutes away from everything in Concord. There is an Italian and Chinese restaurant next door, and a gas station on the other side. The Italian restaurant had bad pizza.

    « A Fun Place to Stay! »

EVERYTHING you could want was available, service was excellent and the facility was clean and updated, thank you ! The staff went out of their way to provide anything you needed. Special consideration was also made for our pet which was appreciated.

    « Nice stay! »

We stayed at this hotel in June. It was in a nice area, with two great restaurants next store. The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. They serve a free breakfast in the morning that was good. The bed was comfortable and the room was a nice size and clean. The grounds are immaculate. We will stay again when we return to Concord.

    « honest traveler »

We like this location when we come to the Concord area. It's a nice central yet private area with a really good restaurant next door as many other reviews mention. This Best Western is older and dated in the rooms and definitely needs updating. Our room smelled like a dog lived there, but the fact that we had a sliding glass door I was able to open it for fresh air. It helped and we got over it. I didn't feel the need to complain to staff as the room over-all was clean.

    « Great stay! »

I really enjoyed staying here. The room was clean and quiet. Matt, the front desk person, answered so many of my travel questions. I felt really welcome. The breakfast was good, and the room was large enough to accommodate many visitors. I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Wonderful stay »

This motel is right off Route 2, and all the rooms have sliding doors to the outside, yet this is the quietest hotel I've ever experienced. We had a pleasant and lovely stay; it is convenient for driving into Concord and seeing local attractions. We would definitely come back.

    4
    « Decent stay »

Stayed a few days for business. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. The property is older but they do a good job maintaining it. Rooms are clean and comfortable and even come sith a small porch to sit out and enjoy the view. Breakfast was well done area was clean and they keep a close watch to keep the food well stocked.

« We keep coming back »

We've stayed at this particular Best Western several times on trips to Boston. We like its location, about an hour and a half from our home, and only about a 15 minute drive to Alewife Station for taking the T into the city. The price is right, especially with our government employee discount. We've found the front desk, breakfast room, and cleaning staff members to be friendly and helpful on each of our visits. There is plenty to do in the Concord area (Walden Pond, Revolutionary War historical sites, several nature preserves), which provides a nice balance with our busier times in Boston. We always have at least one meal at an Italian restaurant right next door, Pappa-Razzi, and we've never been disappointed. With a microwave and mini-fridge in the room, vending machines and an ice machine right down the hall, and an ample breakfast buffet in the morning, it's possible to be frugal meal-wise for at least a couple meals a day. There is a fitness room, a laundry room, and an outdoor pool, but we haven't used any of those amenities. The grounds are nicely landscaped, and the location, just off route 2, is convenient and easy to find.

« A bust for a business traveller. No chair (in the entire hotel) is high enough to comfortably type on a laptop. »

The location is fine and it justifies its 2 1/2 star rating. But anyone who needs to spend time at a desk with a laptop, should stay away. When I called the front desk to ask for a suitably high chair to type at the desk I was told that all the hotel chairs are the same. No solution offered. Now I am stuck for a second day with my elbows bent up so I can type on my lap top. I cannot return.

« Nice place to stay »

Our room was very nice and clean. The room had been updated and the bed quite comfortable. Breakfast was good with a nice selectionDinner at The Studio on Rocky Neck in Gloucester. Beautiful! of hot and cold foods. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

« Review of Best Western Hotel, Concord, MA »

We were very satisfied with our stay here. The room was lovely, comfortable, and clean. We had a wonderful night's sleep. There was a large selection of food to choose from for the complimentary breakfast. We will definitely stay there again on our way through Concord.

    « Looks Are Deceiving »

Great hotel and friendly staff. The exterior of property was initially a concern upon arrival; however, once I was greeted by the friendly staff and entered my room all was forgotten. The room was extremely clean. I typically stay at Hilton properties during business travel but the room rate was very reasonable with two great restaurants next door.

« My second stay here, and I would return again »

I stayed at this hotel just about two years ago when I was in the area on business, and this is my first trip back to the area for business since then. I was impressed then, and am still impressed. The location of the hotel is very pretty and convenient to the highway. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly-clean. The entire building is spotlessly-clean. The breakfast buffet is very good. The rates are reasonable. I will stay here again the next time I am in the area.

    4
    « Quiet and clean »

My 2 children and I stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms and halls were very clean. All employees were nice and helpful. Especially Cody at the front desk. The breakfast was great and lots of space. They have bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, bread and bagels. Also fruit, yogurt and of course juice and coffee. Oh and also really good oatmeal. My advice would be to make sure you have a car. The taxi from BOS Logan airport to the hotel was over 100 dollars. The town of Concord is cute with little shops. The only pool is outside and was ice cold when we were there. So didn't get much use out of it. The beds were small, we had a room with 2 doubles. Also the beds in our room were not very comfortable. I didn't mind because the cleanliness of the place was wonderful.

« Comfortable and quiet for a quick trip »

I needed a place to sleep during a recent trip to Massachusetts, and the Best Western at Historic Concord met my needs. I was working nearby, and it's hard to find reasonably priced hotels in this area - let alone many hotels at all. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, free wi-fi reliable, and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included in the room rate, but since I had an early flight at Logan, I didn't have time to eat here. For people staying longer in this area, this hotel is close to the historic American Revolution sites in Concord and Lexington, and there's easy access to Route 2 for traveling to either western Massachusetts, the T at Alewife (red line), or into Boston. If you're traveling north or south, the hotel is about seven miles east of I-495 and 10 miles west of I-95/Route 128. Two restaurants are within walking distance: a sushi place and Papa-Razzi (Italian).

    4
    « Functional not fancy »

This is one of 2 hotels in this historic town. This hotel is pretty drab but it was clean and served its basic function. The employees are on the ball and accommodating. Here you get what you pay for and no more. The location is not very desirable or scenic.

    4
« Clean, Quiet, Convenient and Affordable »

We had a nice stay at the Best Western in Concord MA while visiting the sites in and around Boston. The hotel being an older property was clean, quite and affordable. Our room had comfortable air conditioning that worked and a clean bathroom. The complementary breakfast had plenty of nice offerings. My only criticism is that the warming plates could have been a higher temperature keeping the food warmer. The parking area and pool were kept clean. It is located near the historic sites and was an easy drive into Boston. I would recommend this hotel as a nice place to stay.

    « Excellent budget hotel. »

I stayed here because I had work in Belmont (20 minute drive from here at rush hour). There are no hotels in Belmont so in the past I have stayed at pricey "budget" options in Cambridge. This is a much better hotel at a much better price in the suburbs. It has clean, updated rooms, good temperature control, and offers everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Examples: 1) free, onsite hot breakfast served for 3 hours, with free newspapers. (Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, toast, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, coffee etc. etc) 2) coffee maker in the room as well as free cookies in room and in the reception room 3) a fridge and a microwave which were really handy for keeping and heating up doggybags from restaurants :-) 4) gym 5) balconies that overlook the parking lot, but are pleasant because the adjacent woods is full of songbirds. 6) outdoor pool, although it wasn't warm enough to use it in May. 7) free, strong Wifi The hotel is also next door to a good and popular Italian restaurant that is large enough to be able to take you without reservations. Finally, the hotel is 100 yards from Rte 2 which is a more pleasant commuting route than many, and can take you to I-95 very quickly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is really nothing else the hotel could do to make it better for guests other than update the bathrooms, but that would put the prices up and there are already too few reasonably priced options. The only actual con is that unlike in Cambridge you cannot wander the neighbourhood and see all kinds of interesting sights. However, Cambridge is only 12 miles away, so if you are looking to save money, this is a very good option. If you are working, especially in the suburbs, this is an excellent option.

    « Visiting Mother »

We stay at this motel every time we visit my now 96 year old mother who lives in a small apartment in Concord, MA. The motel is convenient, clean, and seems to be quite full no matter what season of the year it is. The chocolate chip cookies at check--in are a plus!

    5
    « Convenient and Comfortable »

The hotel was in a great spot...close enough to Boston and near enough to 495 so I could make a run to NH and Maine. Room was nice, bed was comfortable but I wish they had queen-sized as the beds are sized for one big person or two smaller ones. Still, I had a great night's sleep both nights...rare for me at any hotel. Fair price, too, as I was up against all the Boston-area college graduations. Nice outdoor pool (didn't have time to use it). And located near many historical sites (Lexington and Concord). Would happily stay here again!

    « Paperthin walls,small and uncomfortable mattresses »

« Great place to stay »

We stayed here for a week while visiting the Boston area. The location is great. Very easy access to Lexington and Concord historical sites. About a 35-45 min drive to Boston attractions. One bit of warning - traffic is HORRIBLE during rush hour in this area. Nothing the hotel can do about that but be aware of the time of day. As for the hotel itself, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was pleased with great wifi speed. The free breakfast offered was tasty and fresh each day. The rooms are a little small if you have family but they are certainly workable. A couple of things to note - this is a pet friendly hotel. My wife has pretty severe pet allergies but it didn't seem to bother her too badly but we booked this place "blindly" through Priceline so that was something we weren't aware of when booking. We just had to deal with it. The biggest issue for us was noise. The rooms are not very well protected from sound. In fact, as I walked down the hallway I could hear pretty much all conversations coming from inside the rooms. Also, we were awoken several nights by a dog barking in the room across from us and by kids running unsupervised through the hallways. I would definitely recommend having a fan or some kind of noise maker if you are a light sleeper. But, overall, we enjoyed our time here and would definitely consider staying again.

    5
« Very friendly staff- comfortable rooms »

We stayed here initially because it was in close proximity to where we needed to be. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, rooms, beds, breakfast, etc. The staff was great and very friendly.

    « Very nice »

Stayed one night visting historical sites. Very clean, comfortable bed, very good breakfast. Very quite no problem getting a good night's sleep. I would recommend this to you any time the staff was very friendly.

    « Continuity »

Stayed here many, many times and the staff evidently does not have access to that information in their software. Disappointing since service is very good and staff very friendly. Very convenient location for us and great restaurant right next door.

    3
« Nice staff, average room »

We stayed in an average style motel room with wifi, coffee, microwave, small fridge. The room was on the smaller size and not updated and the sliding doors are old and heavy to open. If you like to sleep with fresh air, the lock on the slider screen isn't stable.

    5
    « Update of a Previous Review »

I was not pleased with a previous visit, but returned this week, and am glad I did. Staff was very helpful from my booking on the phone straight through checkout. As I was leaving I mentioned that I had not accepted the check-in gift bag, as it contained granola and peanut butter crackers, and I am allergic to peanuts and almonds. The receptionist told me that I was due an additional 150 points if I did not take the bag. So, more points, great experience, happy traveler!

« Low cost, nice breakfast, convienent location »

I was attending a function in Concord, MA and the Best Western was almost the lowest cost place to stay in the area. They offer a free breakfast and it is not just donuts, coffee, and juice but includes eggs, potatoes, sausages, bacon, French toast, pancakes, organic oatmeal, plus the usual juices, coffee, milk, and cold cereal. Maybe more?? They had a person working the breakfast room continuously so it was always resupplied and clean. If you are visiting anyplace around historic Concord this is a fine place to stay. There is a very nice Italian restaurant next door and a number of others close by. We ate at the Crossroads Café.

« Pleasant, convenient, but a tad pricey »

This place is an 80s-era side-of-the-road two-story motor hotel, with an outdoor pool and excellent free cookies in the office. It's kept impeccably clean. And the staff is friendly. Since there are few other choices in this neighborhood, they can charge a premium on room rates. But if you're into seeing the historic sites around Concord (Walden Pond, the North Bridge, Minuteman Nat. Historic trail, etc.), as we were, this place is pretty handy and especially convenient to Highway 2. A somewhat upscale Italian restaurant is immediately next door, while an Asian restaurant is nearby. Aside from those, we had trouble finding dining options close-by. ONE ALERT FOR MOBILITY-CHALLENGED PATRONS: though the Best Western has an ample free breakfast for guests, it's housed in a meeting room on the second floor. And there is no elevator. Since two of the three people in our party couldn't climb the stairs to the upper floor, the hotel provided Styrofoam boxes in which to "collect" food, which I could then carry back to the room. Not a great solution, but it sufficed for the two days we were there.

    5
    « A good stay »

My room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Everyone at the hotel was very nice. Breakfast was delicious. I have no complaints. The hotel is a convenient location for travelers in and around Concord. I have been happy with this hotel and am a regular when I visit my family in Concord.

    « Dependable excellence »

This hotel has consistently delivered an attractive, comfortable, clean, quiet room. Easily accessible parking and right on Rt. 2 to get you where you want to go. What more could you want? Oh, how about a fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie on arrival? Yes, you get that, too.

    « Great hotel/great location »

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for the Tough Ruck event. The staff was extremely helpful, especially the night before the race when they realized that we were leaving before the breakfast was open. They made us bagged breakfast! The breakfast included with our stay was fantastic. So many choices not just a few bagels/muffins but eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, fresh oatmeal, fresh fruits in addition to the usual continental breakfast. The price was a steal compared to most of the hotels in this area. The location was great. It was close to all the local historic sites in addition to the access to the highway. The hotel was quiet. Our room was clean and had a balcony to sit out on. I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers to this area.

    2
« I can only rate our experience which should have been better »

It started out good. The lobby is compact but clean, with friendly and efficient service, coffee for the weary, and cookies to welcome new guests. Our room was clean and serviceable with a comfy chair, desk, and plenty of lighting. They put out an impressive breakfast which includes eggs, pancakes, potatoes, bacon and sausage, etc. HOWEVER we did not get maid service and were stuck without fresh towels, and the toilet kept running after every flush. We had to get up in the middle of the night to go adjust it more than once. It ruined the good. I'm sure they usually do better but this was our experience.

Best Westerns generally have average reviews. This hotel is under very good management. Stayed 2 nights on business. Room was clean and comfortable. If you would like a very comfortable, well run place to stay where you are treated like family, stay at the Best Western, on rte. 2 in Concord, MA. When we visit family in the area and for years, we always stay here and have watched how the owners are constantly improving the accommodations and the experience. It is a pet friendly facility, which makes suitable arrangements without imposing on guests.

« Hidden gem - don't let the exterior design fool you! »

I was very pleasantly surprised by this property in every way - had to make last-minute business travel plans and found this hotel online - good proximity to my meeting location on the west side of Boston, great rate and great reviews - so I booked it. I had a great experience - very friendly staff, very comfortable and well appointed room (awesome water pressure in the shower - a rare thing these days!), and VERY clean. Complimentary wifi was great. Excellent breakfast with several hot and cold options. Loved the retro feel and architecture (reminded me of family vacations as a kid in the late 60's and 70's :-) ), combined with all the upgrades and quality furnishings one would want for their hotel stay. It is independently owned and it's clear that the owners, management and staff take great pride in the property. I enjoyed it - definitely a place I would stay again and recommend to others.

    « Family Friendly »

This was a nice family-friendly hotel. The hot breakfast offered a good variety to choose from, and the dining area was clean, nicely-spaced, and comfortable. The showers had very good water pressure and the room had plenty of mirrors (outside of the bathroom), which made it easy for my daughter and me to get ready at the same time. The Papa Razzi restaurant next door was convenient and yummy too!

« Very modern, clean, and comfortable »

I had never stayed at a Best Western before. This hotel was very clean, comfortable, modern furniture and entertainment equipment, excellent room service, and wonderful breakfast. The main office clerks were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for touring and travel within Concord, Lexington, Acton, and not far from Boston. There are 2 restaurants on sight. No need to drive anywhere when you first arrive.

« Safe, clean hotel near Boston »

This is a safe, clean hotel just outside of the Boston, MA area. While some aspects of the hotel are old, the breakfast was good and the accomodations were very clean. The ice maker did not work on the first floor and the noise of the showers from the other rooms was horrible.

« A good choice for our needs. »

It was the closest lodging available to where I had to be, and I got an excellent discount through Travelocity. Room was large with 2 double beds; bathroom could have been larger but it worked out OK. (We were 3 adults and a toddler in the room.) Facility was clean and kept up well; our room was very clean, with linens and towels changed daily. Breakfast room is very large and comfortable; food is presented attractively; food quality is so-so, but there is a lot to choose from.

« Great experience at the Best Western in Concord! »

We were visiting Concord to go to my grandson's 1st birthday party and needed a convenient, clean, & comfortable place for one night. My daughter, who lives in Concord, recommended the Best Western...and it did not disappoint! The place clearly has been upgraded, The rooms had tasteful decor, king beds, microwaves & small fridges in the room, with a terrace. We particularly enjoyed the free breakfast, in a large size room down the hall from us on the 2nd floor, filled with a huge variety of breakfast food, both hot & cold. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!

« Store bought sliced veggie platter. »

You ever show up to a cocktail party "fashionably" late? Yeah, me too. It used to be because I was cool and most likely had other social commitments to attend to...but now, it's most likely because i'm busy chasing a toddler around the house. Anyways... Back to the party... So you arrive, and you head right for the potluck buffet table only to see that all the good stuff has been completely devoured. What's left....you know it.....the "meh." The super stale mixed nuts... The vegan tofu "faux"-guac And my personal favorite... The ever-so-thoughtful store bought sliced veggie platter....with ranch...mmmm... Don't get me wrong, it's the ranch that makes it...but the whole thing is just plain sad. Dipping some genetically modified bleached nitro-veggie stick that was picked, sent to china for processing, and shipped back into a mixture of oils, fats, and preservatives while pretending to laugh at "that girl from logistic's" horrible jokes. My point? Sometimes you just gotta suck it up and pick the best of the worst options. Like The Historic Best Western here. I had to do some time here after an acquisition. The front staff is hospitable and very nice. But the place is just dead inside. Old. Dirty. And well....ugh.... As the only hotel in the area, this place truly is, in my world, the store bought veggie platter....with extra ranch. Processed.

    « A Good Best Western »

Located right off the highway, the Best Western is easy to locate and close to historic Concord. The older property has been nicely renovated, including upgraded linens, granite countertops in the bathrooms and modern furniture. The front desk staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and the TV was easy to operate. Complimentary hot breakfast included bagels, biscuits, pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee and juice. This is not a four-star hotel, but it is a very comfortable place to spend a week.

What a pleasant surprise ! With the options so limited in the area we didn't have high expectations for the "vintage" looking motel. While this is technically a motel, this inn is first rate. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and pleasant with well kept, inconspicuous furnishings. I could adjust the heat to my preference. The breakfast was surprisingly good and provided wide choice --I had biscuits and sausage, very well cooked--and it was both free and delivered to the door at the time I specified. The staff was helpful; when I needed information about reaching Amtrak in another city they made the phone call. Given the moderate cost, I strongly recommend this to all.

    « Excellent basic accommodation »

Scrupulously clean standard motel-style rooms in a facility built in the 1960's. Very nice and efficient staff at the front desk and an unusually generous breakfast buffet are included. Nothing fancy, but a great location and basic comforts. There is no elevator, so if you have mobility issues, request a ground floor room.

    « Historic Concord »

Great location and rate. Clean room and comfortable bed. Internet worked good, no problems. I have stayed here many times this year. If you are working west of Concord this is a great location for your commute, against traffic and it is just a few minutes drive from the Concord Town Center with all the historic Revolutionary War and Literary sites. Good restaurants all in walking distance from Main Street.

« BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK »

Have stayed at this hotel many times and it always makes me feel almost like home. Great staff, good spacious clean rooms, plenty of shelf space to work, good walking/ route (go out front door and turn left and turn left again when you reach road and go as far as you would like), reliable internet and as good a breakfast variety as any Best Western.Give them an "A" for the price you play.

« Best deal in MA »

quiet, friendly, clean and great location, can't beat price, free-parking, good restaurants in walking distance and public transportation to Boston. Stayed here for 2 months while my condo was being rebuilt from winter storm damage.

    « Close to everything »

If you are going to stay in the Concord area I would recommend this hotel. It is very close to downtown Concord, which is about a 5 minute drive away and the North Bridge site. You are about 10 minutes away from the Minute Man Visitor Center and 15 minutes from Lexington depending on traffic. I found the staff here very helpful in a restaurant recommendation and also directions. My room in the back was large and quiet and I was impressed with the variety of items they had available for breakfast. The only thing I would caution you about is that if you are coming west from 95 you might drive by it. It is slightly off the main highway on a parallel road so you have to pay close attention when you get near it. There is also construction going on so leave yourself some extra time. I thought it was a good value for the area.

    « A good place for a short stay »

Adequate rooms and breakfast. Good desk staff. No problems. Located next door is Pappa Razzi pizeria where we had one of the best meals of the trip. Hotel is located right in the middle of the historic freedom trail. I would recommend it to any person interested in the civil war of independence to stay here and follow the trail

    « Old style motel. »

We booked this hotel as we wanted to stay close to Concord. My first impression was one of an aged, old-fashioned motel, like the ones we had stayed in when we first visited the US twenty years ago! The welcome at reception wasn't exactly warm and friendly but we were offered cookies. Our room was on the second floor facing the main road. There was a balcony but it took a while to figure out how to open the door. There also seemed to be a long list of safety/security warnings about locking the door. The outdoor pool looked nice but the rain meant it was impossible to use. The furnishings were a bit dated but well-maintained. There was plenty of storage space and the bed was comfy. We were able to park the car close to the room although we did have a lot of luggage to carry upstairs. The bathroom was on the small side. We had dinner in Concord which is only a five minute drive away. Breakfast was served in a room on the second floor, the restaurant in fact looked like two bedrooms knocked into one, it seemed very dark and depressing. The food wasn't too bad, the pancake machine was interesting to watch! The coffee was very good. The hotel is handy if you want to visit Concord but if you are looking for charm stay somewhere else.

« Wonderful Find in Concord MA »

We were taking a trip up to MA to check out the fall colors and had booked this hotel for our stay in Concord. We stay at alot of hotels and we can't say enough good about this one. We were greeted in a way that really made us feel special and welcome. Our room was clean, well designed and very comfortable. We had just stayed at a 'nice' hotel in Martha's Vineyard that could learn alot from BW Concord. The breakfast was great. To top it off, a man who works there saw that my hubby was having a hard time lifting one of our bags and ASKED if he needed any help with any others. This hotel is a jem, wish they were all like this.

« Great deal in a great city »

Clean, reasonably priced rooms, laundromat service, great free breakfast, plenty of free parking, outside city center. Easy access off busy highway 2 or Elm street. Friendly staff. Other much more expensive stays in the area are available, but none will be any cleaner or more convenient.

    « Good value »

Had business in the area. Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent front desk staff. Helped me find a place for a late dinner. Actually listened to what I was looking for and gave me several options, which were great, in a time/place that had limited options.

« Best place to stay in Concord MA »

This is the best hotel experience as the rates are reasonable and the stay is comfortable with professional service by all staff members. We were here as a group for the Head of the Charles and this hotel was perfect.

    « Perfect location »

This Best Western is located right off the main highway and is very close to the heart of the historic sights. I've stayed at many BW hotels and this one rates very well. I requested a room on the side of the hotel facing trees and it was very nice. You don't want a room on opposite side facing parking lot. The 2-story property has rooms with balconies or patios. Front desk staff were helpful and personable. Breakfast was served in a large room. Although busy when we went, it was still accessible to food as stations were on sides of large room. It was more than just continental....with eggs, bacon, potatoes served hot! They also had usual bagels, muffins, breads and waffle maker, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

Of they many motels and Hotels I have stayed at around the world this would be one at the top of my list. They staff and the cleanliness of the place is really outstanding. Having the location close to Plymouth Rock and easy access to Cap Cod works out very well

« Great place to crash »

We were not in Concord to savor our accommodations. Rather we just wanted a place to crash after touring the historic sites of Concord and Lexington. The Best Western was perfect. While the public areas were a little dated and threadbare, the room was updated and very comfortable. The breakfast was great with eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. Would stay there again for sure.

    « Excellent accommodation »

Only spent one night here but really enjoyed out stay. Room was clean, tidy and secure. The included breakfast was excellent. Free wifi too. Have no hesitation in recommending this establishment. We didn't use the restaurant next door but decided to drive into Concord and ate at the Ninety Nine Restaurant, which has a varied menu and excellent food. We chose this motel as our overnight stop for visiting the Orchard House (occupied by Louisa May Alcott - author of Little Women), the Minute Man museum to the east of Concord towards Lexington, and the North Bridge Minute Man site which is west of Concord.

« great value for proximity to airport and minuteman park »

This property worked well for us for the last day of our three-week New England car touring. We needed an affordable place within a reasonable proximity to the Boston-Logan Airport. Because the hotel is so close to the Minuteman National Historic Park, we were able to re-visit it as well. It would have been to walk the streets of the nearby Concord and Lexington homes and visit the various American author's home. Great proximity for both. For the airport, gauge your drive there based on time of day and day of week. It was a piece of cake for us because we flew out early in the day on a Saturday. It is comfortable enough to spend a few days here. We had a room facing the pool. Quiet. However, to get to Boston without a car, one would have to figure that out because the closest T station is a ways away. Rail does connect. Just not as easy as being near a T station.

« A good lower cost option for Concord-Lexington Area »

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, most recently in October 2015. Overall, a good lower cost option for close access to the historical sites in the area - the drive down Elm Street in Concord (on which this hotel is located) is amazing with gorgeous old colonial estates. The breakfast at the hotel is one of the best, the rooms are a bit dated, and there was a bit of a musty odor - could use an interior update, the grounds and outside are nice. Staff was friendly and everything worked. If you are mainly looking for a place to sleep while in the area, this is a good option.

    « Great accommodations »

We needed a cat-friendly hotel while moving our daughter's possessions and cats to Boston. The cats led us to book this pet friendly property. The room rates were far better than those in Boston, the property is kept immaculately, rooms are nicely decorated and maintained. Decent breakfast buffet of the typical type that you see at many properties. The staff at the front desk was great and very helpful with our many questions. We needed help and advice on how to park in Boston, and on how to use public transportation. A special shout out to Cody, who gave generously of his time on our dilemma; if you are not from the area, it's difficult to drive or get around in this city. Cody came up with some creative solutions for us. Thanks, Cody!

Nice clean well decorated room. The front desk employees were very helpful as we were trying to decide what to do on our short visit. Located close to many historical sites. We were very pleased with our visit including the nice free breakfast.

    « Great Accomodations »

This stay was recommended to us by the staff from the Concord, New Hampshire Best Western which was also an excellent place to spend the night. We liked the Papa-Razzi restaurant next door that had excellent service, food and reasonable prices. The breakfast room at the hotel was also excellent with a variety of hot choices, i.e., sausage gravy over biscuits, scrambled eggs, links, pancakes, waffles and all that accompanies it. The bed and bedding were very clean and we would stay there again if we travel that way.

    « Better than I expected »

We didn't have big expectations of the hotel but we found it better than we thought. It is a budget hotel and not luxurious.. but it was clean and the staff was quite friendly. The restaurant Paparazzi next door was a plus. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Tip: Great nearby restaurant... "80 Thoreau". Expensive but elegand and delicious.

    « Humble yet satisfactory »

There are not many hotels in Concord. The Best Western is not fancy yet it is comfortable. Upon checkin there were two attendants who quickly moved through the paperwork for all three travelers in our party. My room was on the second floor facing the rear parking lot. Upon entering the room there was a strong stale odor so quickly opened the patio door to air out the room. Actually left the door open all night as the parking lot was relatively quiet. Bed was comfortable and pillows provided good support. Not a lot of counter space in bathroom but shower pressure was good. Complimentary breakfast is served in large conference room with good variety and quality. Free wifi has strong signal.

Stayed three nights. This is a great place. Helpful, friendly front desk. Nice clean room. Comfy pillows and bed. Better than usual breakfast food in nice large room-- two kinds of eggs, fresh pancakes, sausage and bacon, fresh fruit, hash browns, and then the usual other offerings. Clean laundry room. Beautiful poll area, though too cold to swim. Fairly convenient to Boston at a better price. This is THE place to stay in Concord.
