    « Fine for 1 night »

    Had to spend an overnight in the area for a hospital appnt and all other hotels nearby were full, so booked this one. Had read the reviews so was a bit apprehensive! It was ok, the Hilton its not, but rooms were very clean, beds very comfy and hot strong shower in the morning. It's not like a normal hotel so to check in you need to go into the restaurant and ask for this & manager comes to check you in. There is no soap or shampoo etc so take your own. The restaurant is brilliant value and food really lovely - puddings amazing! The saving grace here is the warm welcome and brilliant staff here. They worked so hard and were cheery and smiling right to end of the night.

    My Mum treated my Brother and I to dinner on Thursday night, before my Brother travelled back home the next day. We chose The Titan, as the restaurant has never let us down. Surprise surprise, it did not let us down! Thursday night is "free sundea day", if you go for a Big Plate special. Both my Brother and I opted for Big Plate specials. My Brother had the 20oz Megosarous steak, while I opted for the Chicken New Yorker. My Mum had the "pensioners special", which is starter and main or main and dessert for £4.99! Great value. Our food was as usual, cooked brilliantly and the portions were great. The staff were attentive without being too pushy. Another great night.

    Eat here many times, as usual the quality of food and service was Fantastic. Reading some of the other comments, I guess those people are just unlucky, yes sometimes you have to queue to get served and yes it can be very annoying but you know what to expect and until those in charge change the system then that's what we have to deal with. Yes I'll be back

    Very busy when we arrived but to be expected as it was 6pm on a Saturday night. Food was fine but service questionable, staff don't appear to communicate as there was a mix up with the order and our table was in need of a good wipe. This place is non consistent with service as everytime i've been I've had a different experience, some good some bad and some very bad!

    Was very busy, modern. Dinner was lovely. Good decor, amazing choices. Filling dessert. Offers colouring books for children. Toilets clean. Thought the food was going to take forever cause it was so busy but was actually pretty fast! Would recommend.

    First impressions are very poor as there is a locked door and a bell to ring. You can't hear the bell ringing but it does. Once you have a person to speak to things improve as they are all friendly and welcoming, from the reception to housekeeping The room is very small but has everything you need and was clean and comfy. Staff in the joining restaurant are cheerful helpful polite and efficient. I would stay again You really should have a manned reception instead of a notice to ring a bell. Have you ever had a visually impaired guest? What would they do?

    glad that I was only in this establishment for a matter of hours as it was similar to the heat in a sauna. rooms are basic and although matching the price, I would not recommend anyone staying here. yes give this one a wide berth.

    We arrived at the hotel yo find the reception unmanned and a note telling you to Ho to the bar and find someone in the bar to come and check you in.....different, but actually Mandy (a lovely local gal), was quite prompt and efficient. Now, the rooms were clean and very tiny, we had a double room that was extremely small for two people. The restaurant the Hungry Horse/ Titan was adequate. Good location, great access to the highlands from clydebank.

    shocking hotel, unmanned reception poor service,, smelly room and room not serviced.No staff when needed had to go looking in pub. And no one answering phone when ringing reception.No socket in bathroom for shaver.

    OK, so this place is not expensive and in that way is good value for money. BUT rooms are tired, I had to ask for towels, there was no cup in the bathroom and the shower was stone cold in the morning. Food was filling - but of the pile it high, sell it cheap variety - you get what you pay for - not Cordon Blue but filling and good value. The bar/restaurant was packed and noisy - lots of kids and families - that s#the local market so not complaining> Arriving at 7.30 after a long day the last thing I wanted to be told was the=at there was a 45 minutes waiting time for meals - but credit where its due mu=y meal arrived in 10 minutes. Was supposed to have wifi but it didn't work

    « Worse than Fawlty Towers! »

    The worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Arrived at 5.00pm on Frid eve. Found the reception which was just an old desk but no one there, just piles of dirty linen. Finally, managed to find the guy, who couldn't work the computer and didn't know anything about the advertised wifi. Said we weren't booked in when we were, managed to sort that out. Dreadful room, so small you had to climb over the bed to get to the bathroom. Breakfast, was an odd experience. No cereals, not heard of those and do you really want milk in your tea?.Cold fried eggs. Asked for brown toast but got white. Remarked on this when it arrived, to be told, "never mind, looks like it's got a tan on it!!" This place was so awful, that it actually became hilarious. Only plus was, we found an amazing Italian restaurant in a converted chapel down the road.

    « Sketchy Hotel and Clientele "Avoid at all costs" »

    We had booked this hotel because it was close to the airport and thought that with the Best Western brand it would be adequate. WRONG! The front desk was not staffed, the halls were dark and the lights only went on when there was motion and the room had a strange odour. In addition, the clientele appeared to be of questionable character. For example, when we were walking in the parking lot, one guest suggested we take any car and just use a screwdriver to hot wire the vehicle we wanted. Although it was late in the evening and we had paid for the hotel through Travelocity, we left the premises and checked in at another hotel. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

    The single rooms are very small but do have Wi-Fi , tea making and free parking. The location is good for access to the city Centre or airport side of Glasgow. The Hungry Horse restaurant serves good value meals. The breakfast starts at 8.00 and needs to be ordered so don't plan to leave before 9.00am. Low cost hotel for the area and OK for 1 night if on a budget.

    All in all it is a very nice place to stay. Only 3 miles from the airport. Great taxi service and not expensive. Close to coffee houses and shopping. Best fish and chips are at Allan's snack bar on store street.

    This is barely a hotel, more like a flophouse. The front desk was not staffed. The check-in was messed up. The room was not the one reserved. Your complaints will fall on deaf ears, then you will be lied to.The room was a shoebox and very plain. It smelled of mildew. Stay Away from this place!
