    « Nice Enough »

    Nice hotel . Good pool area of you want some chill time weather permitting. Gym was good for a hotel, outside drinks/dining area was nice. Rooms were not huge but clean and well maintained, good that had plug sockets for uk/Europe/Swiss.

    « Good for company meetings. »

    This hotel can be used for company meetings. The rooms are comfortable also if not so big. I have been here for two nights for a company event, the service was in the average as well as the food. Globally the service is good also if could be improved. The view outside is really nice, the swimming pool is not big as it seems from the picture but for fun it is enough.

    A hotel with good proximity to the airport, free shuttle bus service, poor breakfast, clean rooms, but difficulties to communicate in english at the reception. I arrived at 09:00 my room was empty and i asked to give a priority and to clean it before 13:00 (4 hours later) in order to be ready for a conference and the answer was the check in is after 14:00! I insisted and finaly my room was ready.

    « Comfortable and convenient »

    We were not expecting much from this hotel reading the reviews, while some friends had stayed a couple of years ago and were similarly unimpressed. So it was a pleasant surprise - great location just 10 mins from the sporting event we were attending but with fabulous views of the lake and vineyards and a warm welcome despite a lot of us descending en masse! Rooms are bright and modern and very spacious - we overlooked the pool and lake so there was little traffic noise, although the air con can be a bit loud. Nice modern bathroom and comfy bed too, and as a bonus managed to find BBC1 on the TV to watch the olympics late at night! Breakfast on the first morning was a bit chaotic with food items running out and few staff to clear tables but to their credit, it was much better on the following mornings. The pool and gardens are lovely, although the pool is very cold! There's also a small but well equipped gym. You can have breakfast and dinner on the terrace enjoying that lovely view. The restaurant is good - excellent choice at breakfast and has some lovely items on the menu for dinner but is very expensive; budget about £25 for a main course alone. Drinks are also pricey but you will do well to get served and this is my biggest gripe - there is a nice bar but it was never manned when we were there, so we had to go back to the restaurant to get drinks. Looks like they do a lot of conference business and this would be a major issue at any of the conferences I've ever attended!

    « A tiny bit disappointed in the room »

    Practical location of this hotel, close to the highway, not far from either Geneva, Nyon or Divonne in France. It has a nice garden, a spacious terrace where food and drinks are served, some climbing and play stuff for kids, a beautiful view on the lake and the mountains and free parking (and free shuttle to the airport) Our standard room was on the first floor and a tiny bit of a disappointment, because it was quite small. But it was clean, I liked the (fake?) wooden floor, the bathroom was efficient but no toiletries nor shower cap are provided except for the fixed soap dispenser. The aircon works well. It switches off if one opens the window (very efficient :-) We had breakfast outside at 8 o'clock in the morning. It was still relatively quiet (I think the families and their children come later) and we were welcomed with a friendly smile. The bread and croissants were fresh, the tea good, the espresso not so good (and only 1 machine = not enough = waiting), fruit salad that was awfully sweet and I think sweetener or sugar was added. What I did NOT like is the fact that any outsider can enter the various hotel floors and have access to corridors and rooms. Nobody needs a room card to access the lift or the stairway. We tried to have diner outside on the terrace but staff was overworked and did not pay us any attention. We decided to drive to the next village, Commugny, and have some Italian food at the local pizzeria. If you leave the hotel grounds/parking, turn left, at the end of the road (roundabout) make a right turn and drive all the way down towards Commugny. Pass the little village, but keep on the same road, the pizzeria is on the left with free parking in front. There is a big shopping mall on the other side of the highway, "Chavannes Centre". You can take the car or walk there. I think it opens at 9 o'clock in the morning and in case you are interested, Manor restaurant offers breakfast for 6 Swiss francs (6 ingredients plus a hot drink of your choice). Overall a pleasant stay.

    This hotel is comfortable for a business stay over. The rooms are clean and practical. I found the staff to be a bit hostile when not been able to speak French. The food was good and service average. Nice clean hotel, has a shuttle to airport.

    In a city that boasts so much wealth and fine hotels, this hotel is an anomaly. Situated half-an-hour away from the city by road, you need wheels to get here. Driving through idyllic Swiss countryside, the first view of the hotel, a grey cement fortress against green farmland, is not flattering. It sets the tone for a very practical facility that offers no frills. The reception staff deal with my check-in with the efficiency of clockwork and without a glimmer of a smile. Your room is tiny. Mine had a view on the car-park. Breakfasts are spartan and dinners will cost you a small fortune. The only redeeming factor is the view from the restaurant that overlooks the lake, and if you're lucky Mont Blanc. If you are organizing a large meeting, as I was, the conference facilities are superb. There is a large shopping mall within walking distance and a free shuttle bus to the airport. You are pleased to leave.

    « Staff are lovely, lobby and dining are nice but rooms are awful. »

    I recommended this place to a friend as i had dined there before and found the place downstairs really lovely and expected the rooms would be of similar calibre. Well, after the first night she had to cancel her booking and change hotels. Her room was so small she was unable to completely open her suitcase. Truthfully, it is ridiculous how tiny and cramped the rooms are. Also the bathroom is like something out of a cheap motel room. Very small and basic. I have stayed in other 3 star hotels that have been far better than this. She transferred to a 4 star in the centre of geneva for not much more in terms of cost and the location and room was superb in comparison. I would avoid staying here unless you have no other options.

    I was assisting to a business training at the Hotel Best Western Chavannes De Boigs and I was disappointed with the choice. It's not a good modern place neither a well maintain classic place. Service is not good, some people collaborative but others just simple rude. I don't recommend it unless is absolutely necessary.

    Isolated location, not too far from either Geneva or Lausanne, and the hotel takes full advantage of that. There are no restaurants nearby so the hotel's restaurant is and ok even if rather pricy choice. The rooms are clean but the communal areas need some upgrade. For example the carpet in the hallway was stained and looked dirty :( The original invoice was wrong so I had to pay extra 90CHF...

    Stayed in this hotel as part of Veena world tour and stayed only for one night. Breakfast is very basic, rooms are very congested and small bathrooms. They do not provide any tea/coffee facility in the room. Very far from city center. They provide free wi-fi. Also a shopping complex is nearby.

    I have mixed emotions about this hotel. When you are looking at this hotel, it is probably because it is close to the highway and close to Geneva or Nyon and because there are not many other options available. If you are looking at this hotel for a nice holiday hotel: there is not a lot to do in the near area and the hotel is mainly populated by business people. The outside of the hotel looks like an 80s bunker. The inside they luckily upgraded. Now it looks all fine and clean, but you will always see that you are in a hotel which was designed to serve the purpose of efficiently housing guest and not to offer the best possible stay to guests. Rooms are fine for sleeping, but standards rooms are too small to enjoy staying in there. Compared to the typical hotels, this one offers a large terrace outside and even a small pool. You also have a lake view, but it is not a spectacular view. Inside the hotel you don't notice that you are almost on the highway. Around Geneva the demand of hotel rooms is often higher as the supply. Because of this reason, my company had to pay the highest rate I have ever seen for a 3 star hotel room. Management. The hotels management has a view attention points to look at. When I entered the hotel and got my room, the room wasn't cleaned (it was already 21:30 when I tried to check in). The intern assisting me was actually made for hospitality; he apologized and made sure that I got a cleaned room, even though the hotel was fully booked. Great guy. The checkout in the morning was an absolute disaster. There were 3 ladies handling the checkout and it was a mess. They seems to have problems everywhere: the method, the bookings, the accounting, the payments and the machinery. The ladies had to help each other and phone for help. I had to wait 45 minutes before I got checked out; in that 45 minutes the 3 ladies helped about 10 different guests to checkout. My apologies to say this, but the management should be ashamed of themselves. If you know that your clientele are business guests and you dare to ask for 275 USD / 250 EUR for a typical 3 star room in a hotel on the highway, then you should at the very least be able to process your clients smoothly and correctly. These business guests really don't try to check out at 07:30 because they were already awake and have all the time in the world. When it was finally my turn, the lady didn't even offer any friendly response. No ?how was your stay' or apology for the wait. It is 2016. There are many hotel chains in Europe which are literally better in everything and ask for way less money. The fact that the demand is very high, is not an excuse to not invest in your service. There are plenty of hotels which can check you out and make you pay in the same time as you are paying at the petrol station.

    « Worst hotel in the last months »

    The worst hotel working with the peolpe. The transfer is a lie; tão days that they simple don't appear and don't say anything, putting me waiting for 1 house for each time. And dont even say sorry. First and last time. And they did't changed de bed in the first day!!!

    « Staff say rules more important than customer service »

    Staying at this hotel for a work event. Was pleasantly surprised with the views and lovely, efficient management. As the desk forgot to ask me for a credit card deposit I ordered food from the restaurant without thinking (no room service by the way, you have to collect your tray yourself). At first the reception tried to stop the restaurant from giving me the food, then when I insisted I eat the food before it went cold and would pay afterwards, they absolutely could not trust me to wait until morning to give my credit card details in person at the reception, despite the fact I was booked in for another 2 nights. When I challenged the receptionist on her rules she told me the rules are more important than customer service. Seems Best Western has indeed re-defined customer service but not for the benefit of the customers.

    We had a very nice stay at this hotel and were impressed with the hotel and the quality of the service staff. This hotel stands out in Europe as a top quality conference centre.With the use of our GPS, the hotel was easy to find. The room was above expectations especially size and comfort. We had dinner at the restaurant and the server went above the call of duty in meeting our wishes with a relative simple meal. Great place to visit.

    I stayed here because I was visiting an international school nearby. But I guess it would be a good option for Geneva if you have a car. The receptionist were super friendly and helpful. I also liked the breakfast.

    « Don't trust them for booking a taxi »

    We stayed at the hotel stranded due to a flight cancellation. The hotel booked us a taxi with the company Royal Transport when they knew that we could not use our airline voucher with that company. The taxi's business card states the name of the hotel, so we can only guess that the hotel sent us in that vehicle to us on purpose in order to be able to charge us for their special taxi. The taxi driver told us that it was the second time that happened the same day, but he did not care to ask us when we got into the taxi, he only told when we arrived, at the moment when told us that he would not take our airline voucher. He made us pay in cash instead.

    Hotel is very nice and super clean. A great view of Mont Blanc and the lake over my room. Also, the hotel is fully equipped, so most of the needs and services are provided very fast and very professional. Restaurant serves different variant of dishes, and serve hot and fresh... Thank you and next time, I'll visit Switzerland, I'll stay here again. Great competitive value of hotel.

    « Decent hotel but very inconvenient location »

    I was staying at the Best Western Chavannes for 12 days for a business trip. First off, it is very close to the airport, around 15-20 minutes or so will get you there. There is a free shuttle hotel service avaliable if you arrange it in advance. I had a decent room since it has a beautiful balcony overlooking Lake Leman. However, the room was relatively small, with a very compact work desk which can barely fit a dining tray. The room can also use a bigger TV as I think it was only 23" or so. The washroom and closet was located in another section of the room seperated by a door which felt a bit cramped. Amenities wise, it doesn't have anything in the room unless you request for it. It is advisable that you bring your own slippers as the hotel does not provide any. The hotel has a nice restaurant at the lobby which has some expectational cuisine for dinner. Breakfast is mediocre at best since it has a very small selection. The most inconvenient thing about the hotel is its location. You won't be able to find anything near the hotel. The closest mall/shopping centre is the Manor Chavannes which is just across the highway, but it will take you 20 minutes to walk over since you will have to walk to the underpass to cross the freeway. Beware that the mall closes by 7pm if you are walking over from the hotel. Overall, it was a decent hotel for the rates that is offered for Switerzland standards. This is a good hotel if you have a car to get around, if not, you will be stuck in the hotel most of the nights.

    We stayed here for a night as part a group Europe tour itinerary. The room was spacious(2 adults and a child) with a separate bed for the child. Three of us did not feel cramped for space for us and luggage. They can do better with tea cups and bathroom towels though. Since we reached late in the evening and left post breakfast(the spread was good) did not go around or had any interaction with the staff.

    It was nice staying at Best Western ,the hotel hospitality was great, the workers at the hotel very cooperative and friendly. The hotel room are clean,the food also good ,the room some how small but cover the need to stay for few days.

    Very nice hotel, 15 minutes from Geneva by car. But reachable by bus and train too in about 20 minutes all together (bus station to train is 5 minutes walk from the hotel). It is at a very quite place at the lake. Very nice staff. Pet friendly. Good breakfast. Nice bar and restaurant.

    This was our second visit, having stayed in July,,,,,we noticed a difference, sadly not positive, the plastic cups and spoons in the bedroom were not what we expected, we mentioned this to the reception and they made a note and assured us that we could have porcelain in the future. The pillows were feathers, but once we mentioned to housekeeping about allergies, they gave us two foam ones, taking two days to get two! Still excellent for parking, and for getting to Geneva, Lausanne, etc, well situated on the motorway. The room was small and the bathroom tired, so another difference from the July visit. However the room cost for Geneva, was excellent, so guess one can't have it all!

    Lovely friendly hotel. Amazing views from terrace and some rooms. Close enough to Geneva for day trips and only 15 minutes from airport. Front desk staff very helpful and professional. Restaurant offers light meals too. Wonderful walks in area as well as the opportunity to explore the small villages nearby. Room very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. Shuttle service to airport is well managed and very helpful.

    « Worst Best Western »

    Stayed with a large group of friends. Very disappointed with the cost saving measures ie. plastic disposable cups for tea making facility in rooms, wall mounted soap gel and very thin bath towels. Restaurant staff had attitude problems and were continually having to be asked for items that had run out at breakfast. Reception staff were excellent as were the shuttle bus staff. Hard to recommend.

    Was at this hotel with my wife for a family friends wedding, our party was quite large and we had about 10 people staying at this hotel. Rooms were large and decent enough, toilet facilities seem a little simple and old but very clean. No real complains about the hotel and front desk was quite friendly. The restaurant served excellent food I must say, however the staff needs to be educated on the arts of swiss service. A particular waiter named Choukri or Choufri was extremely rude to us and ignored many of our requests and talked to us in a very condescending way. The F&B manager needs to up their training for the staff regarding this aspect. All in all a decent hotel with a quiet environment.

    « Fab hotel, staff rather unhelpful »

    My family and I recently went to Switzerland for a martial arts competition, and stayed for a week in this hotel in a twin and a triple room. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the airport to the hotel, and it takes around 15 minutes each way. It is very useful as there is a train station in the airport and it costs around 6CHF for a return to Geneva from there. When we first arrived the shuttle was gone and we had to ring the hotel to bring it back, but it wasn't too bad and the driver was very nice. The hotel is extremely well-kept! The general areas are always clean and tidy and there is free wifi throughout the hotel (instructions on how to connect are in the foyer and the rooms). The rooms themselves are spotless. They are cleaned and stocked up every day by the staff, who do a very good job. In the rooms there is heating and air conditioning, and the window opens too (although quite a few of the rooms face the motorway so it can be loud with the window open). Most of the views are lovely as there are mountains all around, but some rooms do overlook the carpark which is a slight downside. There is also a hairdryer, glasses, a kettle and a TV (the kettle is equipped with coffee and tea and such). The TV has many channels in different languages and there is a guide as well. The only downside to the rooms is that there is not very much space to store clothes. There is a small wardrobe and bedside tables but we had trouble in our triple room finding enough shelves for our clothes! The bathrooms are wonderful too: great shower (most rooms don't have baths but some may do) and the towels are changed regularly. The facilities in the hotel are pretty inclusive: there are conference rooms, business rooms, a sauna, dojo and gym as well. Unfortunately we had a problem with the sauna and dojo as the staff said it had been "booked" for the next three years by a man who was staying in the penthouse suite! This was a major problem as a lot of people needed to use the sauna to prepare for the martial arts competition. However this was eventually sorted after we spoke to the man in question and he agreed to let us use the sauna. The restaurant in the hotel serves delicious food that is very well presented. It may seem ridiculously expensive but it's not: the prices are the same all over Switzerland, it is very expensive to live in. Judging from previous reviews there was a problem with the free breakfast, but it is in fact very good! Most of the previous reviewers seemed to have gone to the wrong breakfast room: there are two. One is for large groups and has a selection of pastries, cheese and cereal, as well as juice and coffee and the like. This must have been where everyone was going. The other breakfast room is for everyone else and is right at the back of the main restaurant (in the "l'Observatoire") and serves eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, yoghurt as well as pastries. This is not free ONLY if you sit in l'Observatoire!! If you take food and sit in the main restaurant you will not be charged! I think this is where the confusion is. The only downside to this hotel is the staff. Most seem friendly and helpful when you first say hello, but if you have an issue of any kind they become rather less helpful. The sauna situation took a long time to resolve because the staff originally refused to tell us why we couldn't use the sauna and then proceeded to try and direct us to one in France! It was only when we requested they then pay for us to get to and use said sauna (because we specifically requested the sauna before we came to the hotel and they said it would be free) that they actually mentioned the man renting the sauna. Another issue we had was with the shuttle bus one night. We went out to dinner in Geneva and rang on the way back to request a shuttle bus at around 10:10pm (bearing in mind the shuttle bus runs until 11pm). The receptionist on the phone said the shuttle bus was already at the airport, but we wouldn't be there for another 10 minutes so we asked them to hold the shuttle bus, to which they said they would try, and if we missed it then they said to ring and they would send it out again. We got to the airport to find we had missed the bus, so we rang (like they told us to) and they said the driver had left for the night! This was at 10:30pm so there was no reason why we should not have had the free shuttle bus! Instead we had to pay over 60CHF for a taxi to take us back to the hotel, and when we asked at reception about the bus they refused to refund us or even apologise that the bus driver had left half an hour early! We were not pleased at all at the attitudes of the staff. However, other than the staff's unhelpfulness the hotel itself is a really great hotel. Just make sure you don't have any issues as they won't be resolved!

    located outside of Geneva but the hotel offer courtesy bus to and from airport where we got a train into the city and for Switzerland prices the fair was very reasonable although it's a very shot trip. The staff are friendly and helpful, Room was small but very clean and modern with big comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities, wonderful shower, English TV. Be aware there are different grades of breakfasts the express is just cup of tea/coffee and croissant, however I think this was reflected in the price we paid but I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

    Not enough staff at breakfast. Congested breakfast room layout. Coffee machine erratic. Room safe broken. Internet access unreliable Pool freezing (August!) and concrete surround rough and painful. Airport shuttle service much appreciated.
