Wonderful room, very comfortable bed. Great view of the ocean from the patio out the sliding glass door. Towels were also big and fluffy. Sea gulls played outside the patio the entire stay. I would highly recommend!!

« Ocean sounds and great Jacuzzi made this a memorable, but short, stay. »

Wish we had stayed another night. It was very relaxing after stressful 10 hours of driving down the Oregon coast. Dinner options were limited, but OK. The hotel was away from any highway sounds and the ocean dominated the atmosphere. Hard to find any fault with staff, breakfast or room. Glad we stretched our drive a bit to get to Brookings.

    « A welcome Get-a-way! »

We needed the Oregon beach experience for rest and relaxation and we got both! A great weekend! Rooms were very clean and well stocked, the internet worked fine and the breakfast selection was my personal highlight! Lots to choose from and delicious!

« Room was not clean and smelled bad »

The room smelled like a dog and cigarettes and there was a lot of noise from the room above us. I woke up with a sore throat and my eyes were almost swollen shut. At checkout I was given a $20 credit.

« We loved our beach view! »

It was our first stay in Brookings. We wanted to stay somewhere with a name that we knew. We are not sorry at all. Our ground floor room looks out to the beach. What a beautiful view! We can hear the waves crashing on the beach. The room itself is very lovely. We get breakfast in the morning too. We couldn't ask for more! Great staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Put this one on your list if you are travelling the coast highway.

« Great location and friendly staff »

Fishing on the Smith River with friends. Could have stayed closer to the river but this hotel is so much better than the others in the area. Hotel staff is outstanding. Rooms overlook the ocean and bed was very comfortable. I always stay when fishing the Smith or Chetco rivers.

    « Good Choice! »

Nice views at sea level! It's an easy walk to the beach and shops on the small wharf. There is a Dispensary within walking distance as well. The Oregon/CA State line is an easy drive. Call direct for the best info on availability. They serve a really good breakfast!

« Great place to stay »

Overall , amazing place to stay great views. The staff was amazing and good looking! I have nothing bad to say about this place. I travel all the time and have never been more impressed with a best western!!!

    « ROADTRIP USA »

We are on our ROADTRIP following the scenic route 101. We stayed for one night at this best-western plus hotel which is right on the Pacific coast. We had seaviews and we had great walks by the beach . Love the sunset. Great hotel our room was huge and we love the balcony.

« Pet Friendly and fluffy towels! »

We chose to stay at this hotel because a storm was coming and it is an ocean front hotel. Our room was on the bottom floor so we thought we would hear the upstairs people. But it was very quiet. Room was very clean and nice for a pet friendly location. Room has a small balcony outside the sliding glass door. We were able to open the door to enjoy the storm without any rain coming in. We really enjoyed our stay. And to top it off there were plenty of really fluffy towels!! Will stay there again next time we go north for a storm.

« Enjoy the beach in Southern Oregon »

Beautiful inn right on the beach. Open the door to the deck and listen to the waves all night and all day. Excellent room and staff is great. We will stay here again soon. We stayed in a pet friendly room that was spotlessly cleaned. Breakfast was an added treat as it was warm food and friendly service. I would recommend this motel to all my friends. We did not use the pool and spa but they looked great

    5
    « beautiful setting »

I was traveling up the coast & knew I wanted one on the beach. Called the Best Western 1-800 to find a dog friendly hotel. The price was a bit steep $200 but well worth it. Room was a nice size & faced the beach. It was dark but from the balcony you could see the waves. Next day: Breakfast was good. Then we took a long walk on the beach, Ollie chased birds, I looked for shells, driftwood & rocks. Found a variety of all. Front desk personnel were friendly & courteous.

« Perfect for our anniversary »

This is 1st class all the way. Our room faced south with a wonderful beach view. we were only going to stay one night, but wound up staying 4, "My wife made me do it". The resturant across the street was also excellent and they have an indoor poll/spa and a respectable buffet breakfast. It is also the shortest distance from Medford to a beautiful Beachfront hotel in Oregon.

    5
« Dog friendly on the beach »

This was such a wonderful place! We will definitely be going back. Our 2 dogs loved going for the short walk to the beach. It was so peaceful to open the sliding glass door and hear the waves crashing on shore. Absolutely beautiful!

    « Harbor Surprise! »

Have stayed many times over the years in Brookings, Or. either traveling through or staying in the area fishing. This hotel was new to us and could not have been better. Its a keeper! Large beautiful room, with amazing view. Immaculate and beautifully appointed. At the harbor with restaurants in walking distance.

    « Views »

Best place of our Oregon trip. Quiet room with balcony and nothing but beach views. Separate alcove for fridge, sink and coffee making. Good breakfast included. Centrally located with easy access to restaurants and great hiking. A nice laundry here too. Go here and listen to the waves.

    5
    « Very nice place. »

My girlfriend and I meet here once or twice a year to catch up on life and relax. We love this place and they always remember us at check in. Everyone is very friendly, always! It is very clean and you can't beat the view, rain or shine. The breakfast is really good, lots to choose from and the coffee is great!

    5
« not a bad room in the place »

The hotel has easy access to get in and easy access to sights and restaurants. Every room is looking out at the ocean and you can just walk out onto the beach. It makes it so accessible that even if you just have a few minutes between meals or other matters you can run down to the beach and enjoy. Great front desk people. Easy parking and room access. Clean and quiet. We enjoyed it so much we stayed a second time on our return trip back through Brookings.

    5
« I would highly recommend staying here! »

I am always completely satisfied when staying here. The rooms are always very clean and the staff is always helpful. I like that every room has a ocean view. The breakfast has a nice lay out and is very good.

    « Happened Upon It »

Hard to believe anyone is saying the rooms are not clean!?! Staying with our parents and both our rooms are very clean almost spotless. The carpets look new within last year or so, bathroom is clean and updated. Just an excellent place. Our room has a small balcony view of the ocean with the melody of the crashing waves a welcome sound for us desert dwellers. Plus the restaurant across the street has fresh California halibut at a very reasonable price. Very pleased with our stay! Highly recommended!

    5
    « Amazing location »

Stayed for 1 night and so pleased to find the ocean right in front of me when I opened the curtains. Room big and bathroom clean. Staff friendly and was able to check in early. Evening meal across the road at Sebastian's which was good and a fair price also a great little gift shop attached. Breakfast was good and plenty of selection. Would definitely recommend.

    2
    « Not recommended »

The upside to this hotel is the location, all rooms are beachfront. However, the room was not clean (bathroom sink and carpet both needed cleaning, enough said). The staff aren't particularly helpful. As a Diamond rewards member, automatic upgrades should be offered but was not; we also could not secure the check out time guaranteed by status. Overall, the lack of cleanliness is problematic for me. I won't stay there again.

    4
« Convenient, Large Rooms, Friendly Staff »

What's not to like? I have been meaning to review the hotel for a while and only after coming across some photos did I realize that I had never finished. We were driving down the amazing (seriously amazing) Oregon coast and chose to stay at this Best Western based on how long we thought we'd like to drive. There were solid reviews online and it worked out perfectly. The room was quite nice--large, with a lot of pluses like extremely comfortable bed, nice furniture, and a balcony overlooking the beach. Small bathroom, actually, but there is a hallway vanity. Dining options were limited in the area (could have done better homework on that!). It was near Easter so there a lot of families with many children, so it was a lively atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was helpful, if not luxurious. Staff, especially Monica and Kristina, were always cheerful and welcoming. Can't say we'll be back in the area soon, but this would definitely be our hotel of choice.

    5
    « My Happy Spot »

I come to this hotel every few months or so, just to get away from everyday life stresses. I love to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean and the boats. The sunsets are spectacular ! I leave the patio door open at night to listen to the sound of the ocean, so calming. I enjoy walking on the beach as it is right out the door.

    5
« Very nice property and good value »

This hotel is located beachfront (as implied by the name). I had a view of the water and beach from my small balcony and, although I didn't spend much time outside on this balcony, it was nice to have. I could hear the water as I was settling in for sleep, which was very soothing. The property is clean and the beds extremely comfortable with great bed pillows (very important to me). I chose a small room that had two queen beds. And, although this room was supposed to be small, I felt that it was a good size with a desk, 2 chairs, a TV stand with drawers and a wardrobe stool. The hotel has a breakfast but I can't comment on it since I chose to sleep in each morning. I also didn't use their complimentary internet. One night, I ate at the restaurant across the street from the property. The food was really good and reasonably priced for the amount of food given. I will definitely return to this hotel. .

    5
    « OCEAN VIEW »

We took a coastal trip to see the ocean & its beaches. Our room rate was very reasonable, room was comfortable, clean & fresh, and we were looking at the ocean out a large window - PERFECT! It doesn't get any better than this!

    4
« Best Western beachfront gem »

We stayed one night here for the first time while returning from a vacation trip to WA. It is a gem, right on the oceanfront and directly across the street from a good restaurant, Sebastian's. Very comfortable room and good breakfast for a decent price, all things considered.

    5
    « Fantastic View »

Absolutely amazing view right on the ocean. The room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Pancakes, bacon, ham....biscuits and gravy? Its like their competing with Dennys here. Very nice place to stay.

    5
    « Oh wow! »

This place is amazing! Friendly staff, nice pool, great free breakfast, but the best part of this hotel was the room. It was large, had a kitchenette, sofa, and a balcony overlooking the ocean! And it was reasonably priced. I highly recommend this inn!

« One of the best Best Western's that I have stayed at plus an Ocean View »

This is a great p[ace. The rooms to the north where I stayed for two nights was wonderful. The room was large and had a great balcony over looking the ocean. The room was clean and quiet, but if you leave the sliding door open a little you won't have any problems listening to the waves. The ocean is probably only 200 feet from the hotel. The front desk staff did a great job and the internet worked pretty good. Their breakfast there is top notch, and way above average for a Best Western. Their rooms are not cheap, but here you get what you pay for. Plus great food just across the street

    5
« Fantasic Location, great view - nice sized room and clean »

The hotel is right on the beach and is easy to find - several signs to direct you to the hotel. Check in was easy and the front desk staff were very friendly. Our room was on the 3rd floor - our building didn't have a elevator but it wasn't a problem for us. We did notice the hotels other building did have an elevator. The room was large - had a love seat plus a king size bed, nice coffee, microwave and refrigerator area too. We'd definitely return. Loved Brookings, OR - its a cute, clean town.

    4
    « Not quite a Plus »

This place does have a good beach front location but the facility and furnishings and breakfast were not on a par with several other BW Plus hotels we stayed at on our recent 24 day trip on the west coast. As an experienced traveler I would like them to remove the Plus rating and drop the room rate by $50 per night. Then it would be a fair value. The reason this will probably not happen is there are few other better choices in the area unless you are willing to pay something north of $200.

    4
    « Great Ocean View »

We spent one night at the Best Western Plus in Brookings, OR. The room was fine. The best part was the balcony and the ocean front room. Breakfast was not good. I'm not sure if I would stay here again.

« Great experience at Best Western Plus, Beachfront Inn, Brookings »

My wife and I had a delightful stay at the Best Western in Brookings! The property looks good and is well maintained. The staff members were professional and friendly. The view was very nice as we could watch the ocean. The breakfast was complete and offered many different choices including almond milk. This was very nice for those who do not eat dairy. It was a fine stay!

    5
    « great ocean view »

Great location, close walk to the beach, all on the motel property. great staff personnel, helpful and fun. The room was large, and the balcony view of the Pacific Ocean is unmatched. A full breakfast was offered, good selection.

    « A Great Find »

This lodging establishment is the reason to visit Brookings, OR. Located on the ocean, it has easy access to a lovely, wide beach. And our king room was modern, spacious, comfortable and best of all the bed faced the ocean so we could leave our balcony door open and hear the sound of the surf and the gulls. Great way to fall asleep and wake up!

    5
« A little spending, but worth the extra money »

Front desk staff was friendly, polite and very helpful. The rooms are modern and up to date, very clean, with great views. Amazing access to the beach, the amendities are the best, bathrooms are well stocked and the balconies give a great placve to relax.

« Best Western Brookings Hotel »

Elite location with great overall staff. Breakfast amenities is average. Receptionist service was excellent except for one Receptionist Employee. View and access to the beach is unparalleled. Surrounding restaurants are varied and offer some excellent choices.

    « Wonderful Hotel »

The Beachfront Inn in Brookings, Oregon is the place to stay!! The location is perfect, the beds super comfortable, the staff most pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean. We will stay there again.

    « With dog »

Beach is beautiful. Walk at low tide to go thru key hole. Don't eat at the local fish and chips. Might as well have been from the freezer. Overwhelming wet dog smell in our room. Funky it mostly clean hotel/ motel. Beach views with minute walk to the sand.

    4
    « Ocean front »

We were traveling up the Oregon coast with our dog and this facility is pet friendly. The room faced the ocean so you could open the door and hear the waves. The room was clean and was an easy walk to the beach. Location is nice and would stay here again if back in the area.

    5
« Oceanview meant oceanfront! Beautiful views! »

This is a 3 level hotel. To get to the 3rd level I had to walk up steps. I had a kitchenette with an oceanview. Clean and private with small balcony. It was really an oceanfront view. Perhaps they call it oceanview because I had to lean out over the balcony to see the sunset. Not sure but it was a terrific full on view of the Pacific Ocean. The breakfast was decent with regular stuff including some cut up fruit. When I arrived I asked where I could find dinner and there's a steak/seafood place across the street. The entrees were a little pricey but it was a very comfortable place to relax, eat, and walk back to the room. The front desk staff were friendly upon arrival and when I departed asking different questions because I wanted to go back. The housekeeping staff were helpful when I forgot my food in the fridge after checkout and they let me back in (after checking with the front desk first) to get my leftovers. I want to go back and stay here longer.

    5
    « We'd stay again »

We had a pet friendly room. Our experience was wonderful..staff, location the whole stay was very nice. Beach access was very easy , nice quiet, and peaceful stay. Very popular place you definitely need reservations for the weekend.

    5
« Right on the Beach! »

My favorite place to stay in Brookings. The rooms with whirlpool tubs that overlook the ocean are down right amazing. You can keep your window open all night and enjoy the sound of the water. We are repeat customers!

    5
« Great place, wonderful country »

The room was immaculate, comfortable, the beach easily accessible, and we were glad we stayed there. The restaurant, Sebastian's, was across the street and extremely convenient and the food was good too.

    5
« We would stay here again »

This hotel is right on the beach. We had an excellent view of the ocean. We walked the beach both in the evening and again in the morning. The hotel staff was very, very friendly. We always try to stay someplace with a breakfast, because my husband is an early riser and I like to sleep in. This breakfast was by far the best we've ever had at a hotel.

    5
    « Comfort and location. »

This is as expected a good quality BW accommodation. The bonus is it's position in a quiet part of Brookings close to the harbour and overlooking the sea. Our spacious room with queen beds was nicely furnished;it all looked fairly new. We were on the 3rd floor with an awesome view of the ocean-just waves, beach & grass. There was a balcony-though only small with just room for 2 chairs-the prefect place to enjoy the scenery. Note there is no lift so heavy cases could be a problem for the rooms on higher floors. There was a complementary breakfast with a decent choice of hot & cold fayre. It was a bit of a scrum as everyone seemed to appear at the same time so be prepared to wait if busy. Staff were all very helpful. Highly recommended.

    5
« You get what you pay for »

Simply a great stay with a great view! Everything was good. From our balcony, you only see the beach, ocean and a part of the Inn. Nice large, comfortable rooms and the outside pool was heated for comfortable swimming (till the fog rolled in). Better quality breakfast than at most places.

    5
« Best place to stay »

Best Western Brooking, OR is the best place to stay. Everyone helpful there, rooms fabulous, right on ocean. You can build a campfire at night. Just all around GREAT!! Have stayed here the last 4 years in a row for days at a time. Nothing cheap about hotel, worth every dime you pay.

« Mattress too soft, brown water in shower »

Overpriced, mattress too soft, water coming out of the shower was brown. The view from the room was good of the beach. Staff at front desk are friendly. this is crazy that there is a minimum of 200 characters that I need to fill in here to write this review.

    5
    « Always a comfortable retreat! »

Great views and walks just a step away, nice little balcony's to enjoy the sounds of the waves as we slept, clean rooms and staff always helpful and friendly. King bed, non-smoking room, nice towels...what else can I say?

    4
    « Amazing Personal »

The staff was accommodating and helpful.Rooms were clean and beds were so comfortable. Loved the close access to the beach and restaurants. The harbor was in walking distance which made for a perfect adventure. Added bonus there was a small street fare going on.

    4
« Nice hotel in an amazing location »

A number of other reviewers have commented on the price. It's true that the rate for this Best Western is more than one would find at other properties, but I think it's important to take note that the hotel is literally right on the beach where you can see/hear/smell the waves lapping at the shore as you sleep. That kind of beachfront location doesn't come cheap, so just know you are paying for the view as much as for the hotel. There is a heated outdoor pool and hot tub which we enjoyed upon arrival. Our room was on the 3rd floor, but there was an elevator with outside access to the parking lot. There is ample free parking. The property technically has "outside" doors, but we didn't notice once we were in the room. The room was large with a seating area, mini fridge and microwave, and a small deck with an absolutely amazing view of the water. We had the hotel's hot breakfast the next morning, that was pretty standard for a free hotel breakfast. There were those curious hotel style scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. We ate dinner at the restaurant across the street from the hotel (different property) and it was pretty underwhelming, but convenience is king when you have been on the road all day. It was fine, but I would definitely recommend going elsewhere if you have the time and inclination.

    4
« Nice room with a great view »

My husband and I stayed her for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a very musty smell which made us have to leave the sliding glass door open and the bathroom door closed. Breakfast was OK. The private beach was wonderful! We will be back to stay here again.

    5
    « Happy days »

Love Love Love staying at the beachfront Best Western. Very dog friendly, Beautiful views and lovely beach to walk with my four legged best friend. I will gladly stay here again. The staff was kind and helpful and everything was very clean.

    « Million Dollar View »

We booked a room at the Best Western in Brookings Oregon with no great expectations. We planned on bringing our dog and so we reserved a room in the pet friendly section of the hotel. As our stay approached, we decided to leave the dog at our vets boarding facility because of a recent surgery. We were unable to switch the room for a non pet room, but were assured that it would be clean and pleasant. It turned out to be one of the best hotel rooms we've stayed in on the coast. So comfortable, clean, literally right on the beach and an amazing view of the ocean from the room and balcony. I don't have much to say about the town of Brookings, but the hotel was great.

    4
« Ding, Roar, Crash; Ah: Zzz »

As I lay here in the room, after a great night of sleep, (5am, 3rd floor), listening to the gentle Ding of a buoy, enjoying the rushing Roar of waves as they Crash on the beach; my heart is thankful for the relaxing "Ah" this brings, as I also listen to my wife's "Zzz Zzz" letting me know we got it right. The motel is overall average for your typical chain, has three stories, no elevator, is clean, service has been good, the key is however location, you'll get the point as you rest in your average motel bed, listening to the awesomeness of power just outside room. Before turning in we ate at a seafood Bar and Grill across the street, not bad, a little pricey for the meal, but was convenient, not having to drive after a few adult beverages to cap off a well spent day.

    5
    « The Perfect Experience »

This Hotel is fabulous, The staff is Awesome and the view can not be beat, King room on the Jetti side is fantastic, Separate bathroom sink area, coffee bar with microwave is wonderful and a separate seating area and chairs on the deck. A wonderful experience

    3
    « Okay »

My wife and I stayed the night of Sept. 11th in room 406. The room has a balcony and a nice view of the ocean. The king size bed is located under a vent which contains a heater which kicks on and off throughout the night. This is a handicap room and the bathroom is large with a separate shower and tub. A little dust was observed on the lamps. The free breakfast was good. Overall, for the money ($234 plus tax) it was a little disappointing.

    « Great location, great dog-friendly hotel »

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully located dog-friendly hotel in Brookings. This hotel is truly ocean front. Our room was on the first floor of the southern-most building, just steps from the beach and the designated dog area. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and we were grateful to housekeeping for keeping our room clean and fresh-smelling. The breakfast room isn't huge, but the food is ok. There is a decent restaurant right across the street, and many more up towards the harbor. We would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Best in Brookings »

Title says it all. great location, friendly staff, nice pool and hot tub, clean rooms and nice breakfast. It's so nice to leave the screen door open and listen to waves crashing on the shore all night long. Step out of your room to the beach!

    4
    « Brookings »

Big hotel on the north end of Brookings, OR. Off of US 101. Check in smooth. Outdoor pool & hot tub. Plenty of parking. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, stove, bar sink & dishes. Breakfast. Better than your standard fare! Third floor room overlooking Pacific Ocean. Big, bright & clean room. No elevator. Wi-Fi good. Expensive for the area. Clean. Quiet. 3.5 foot balcony. This is my first experience with Best Western. They seem to be predominant along the Oregon coast. This hotel is overpriced!

    5
    « Oceanfront Room »

This was an excellent hotel. Our room was right at the ocean access and the view was gorgeous. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean with nice decor. Friendly staff and great breakfast.

    « Ocean beach vacation »

Ocean view and balcony are a bonus for this location. Excellent breakfast included bacon and ham. Good pool and hottub. Grounds could use some garden areas for ambiance, and bed mattress and pillows need to be upgraded.

    « Loved this place! »

We loved Brookings and also loved this hotel. It was Reasonably priced, had an awesome beachfront view, and a great breakfast display. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a must stay if you are in Brookings! Many great places to eat in town as well.

    5
    « Fabulous Hotel! »

We spent a night here and it was amazing. We had a top floor room looking out on the beach - an amazing view - I highly recommend this hotel. The room was big, clean, beds were comfy, shower was great. Only issue was someone smoking pot below us - I should have reported it to the front desk but I did not know this until we had left Brookings and my husband mentioned it to me. Very sad that people think it is ok to do this in a non-smoking hotel.

    5
    « Very nice! »

Great views, super clean and updated rooms. Front desk staff are awesome! The rooms are steps from the beach and very close drive to redwoods, the port, and close to Brookings' restaurants and shops. We will book this hotel again in the future. The free breakfast was pretty solid.

    5
« My FAVORITE place to Relax »

Awesome place to stay!! Right on the beach, best views on the southern Oregon coast (even when foggy). Great staff. Best place to go to unwind, relax, and just enjoy friends, time with your dog, walk the beach, and/or read a book with the sound of the waves in the background....

    4
« Beautiful view, very nice room with kitchenette, but three stories without an elevator »

We got in late and the desk persons were very helpful and considerate to tired travelers. They were completely full but gave us one of their best rooms (I'm a BW Gold member, if that matters). The ocean view was amazing; we could hear the waves from the room, although the sliding door was well insulated for sound so it wasn't very loud with the door closed. The only problem we had is that the room was on the third floor and my knee was acting up. Of course my knee is not their problem, but an elevator would have been very helpful. So if you have a lot of luggage or have any other reason not to want to climb stairs, you'll need to request a first-floor room. I don't know if they will guarantee such requests because I didn't ask. This hotel seems to be a destination in itself rather than just a place to sleep, so the prices tend to be high (for BW) during their season. I stayed on points but it would have been about $170 for cash.

« Great Room, Pet Friendly »

We always enjoy staying at the Best Western in Brookings, and this was the first time we took our dog with us. The room was very spacious for our big puppy and they had an enclosed balcony that allowed her to go out of the room.

« Awesome beachfront location... We'll be Back! »

Great rooms facing the ocean, extremely clean with Jacuzzi and many extras! Not too pricy for the peak of vacation season. Awesome southern Oregon Coast with views that can't be beat... Don't miss this one!

    « Super staff! »

I made a reservation for the wrong night. I arrived a day early from my reservation. Staff was able to accommodate us. We had a nice room with a view of the beach. The breakfast was one of the best we have had, both in terms of quality and range of selections. We would definitely stay again.

    5
« Relax to the Sound of the Ocean »

The reservationists are very efficient and friendly. The K Suite was clean and comfortable. The in-room Jacuzzi tub with a view of the beach and ocean was relaxing and refreshing. I love the fact that the rooms all have patios or balconies to enjoy the ocean view and fresh air. I appreciate the many amenities like the mini frig, wet bar, the double sinks in the bathroom, etc. The bed was large and comfortable and sleeping to the sounds of the waves is a plus! The restaurant and gift shop right across the street are wonderful. This is my favorite "go to" often place. Plan to be back very soon!

« Ocean front balcony, nice view and sounds! »

Nice spacious room. Jacuzzi tub with ocean view. We were able to watch lots of bonfires on beach from our balcony. Left sliding door open during night and enjoyed sound of ocean. Staff friendly and helpful. Good restaurant across the street. Couldn't get tv to work.

    5
« FRIENDLY, CLEAN, GREAT LOCATION »

This was a business trip for me but quickly turned into a wonderful experience. The hotel and staff met all expectations for friendly, clean, helpful and restful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone travel through the Oregon Coast and Brookings, Oregon.

    « Summer road trip »

Clean Large room Beautiful view Bon fires allowed and seeing them dotted along the coast line each night was enjoyable It did appear that although there were animal and smoking restrictions they were not enforced. We love dogs but happened to be in a building that had signs posted everywhere there dogs were not allowed and we saw many pets being taken into the building and rooms which could be a problem for anyone coming in a room after who might have allergies No complaints with our room - did not seem to have any "wet dog" smells lingering Being on a road trip it was nice to find laundry facilities here. Very clean and reasonable in cost

« Good Best Western in Brookings Harbor OR »

This is a class operation in Southern Oregon Coast. Although the summer tariff is high for a motel, you can pay a lot more at a very expensive facility and not get much more in quality and service. The staff was pleasant, the location right on the beach outstanding, the room was large and had all the amenities (wi-fi, refrigerator, microwave, TV hair dryer, etc.) They accept dogs with $10/night charge. People on the desk even pushed a button to open the front door if they saw you coming. They even went out of their way to arrange an extra night if we wanted to stay. We were on a three-night getaway from inland Oregon where it was very hot. However, the coast has highs from 65 to 80 even when it is 100 inland. The pool looked good although we did not use it, a plus for families with young children.

    5
« World class hotel and service »

The Beach Front Inn is always a fantastic place to stay! The staff is awesome, and the hotel is super clean. Would rate this a 5 star is we were giving stars. We don't get away often. When we do we head for the Beach Front Inn. You can't beat the view, and the beach just steps from your room. Some may feel it is a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny!

« not as good as usual? »

smell of dead sea lion rotting outfront of windows really took away from visit this time the paint smell outside front doors made it impossible to air out room son has asthma so not our best this time was a bummer

« Beautiful location, friendly staff, very nice room »

We were only able to stay one night at the Best Western Plus Beachfront Inn in Brookings, but wish we could have stayed a week. We had a beautiful beachfront room with a deck on the third floor. The view was so nice, we had dinner in our room overlooking the ocean. We left our sliding door open all night to hear the waves breaking on the beach. This was the nicest Best Western Plus hotel we have ever stayed in and will definitely return. The room was spotless and the entire staff friendly and professional. This is truly a "gem".

    3
    « Motel grounds/beach access need attention »

Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Security on site. Motel grounds/beach access littered with garbage/dog feces. Dead rotting sea otter on the beach that no one was tending too. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The pillows are not firm and do not provide enough support. Overpriced considering it is a motel.

    5
    « NICE with a vew... »

This was a great place to stay at the beach. They do allow pets, in certain rooms, as we had a dog with us. The property was right next to the beach and all the rooms have a view of the beach and ocean. Our rooms were clean and standard with amenities that you can read about on their website, tripadvisor or any other booking site you may use. The small deck was nice too. The AC was not working properly but we kept the sliding glass door open (with screen) to let in fresh ocean air and to hear the waves. The pool was heated, which was nice, and the hot tub was enjoyable too except for the loud bubble jets. They do offer pool towels that you will not find in the room, you'll need to ask for those. The breakfast was continental style with other hot items available in chafing dishes (pancakes, eggs, bacon...). They serve Boyds coffee which is my favorite restaurant coffee. The property is next to Brookings Harbor where you'll find several restaurants, shops and a seasonal flea market on Saturdays (May-Oct). You're also minutes away from other shops, local eateries, brew pubs (Oregon is the best for micro/craft brews), beaches, etc. A very nice place and one I will return to again on another visit.

« One of the best "Best Western" hotels we have even stayed at. »

We had just a great stay at this Best Western, great views and a very clean hotel, right on the beach. We stayed in the building right on the beach, and had a nice time. The only thing that needs improvement, is the "free" breakfast, food is very limited and sometimes the hot.

    3
« Lovely views. Uncaring staff. Noisy neighbors. »

The balcony was truly wonderful - - clean, large enough, great view. I heard our neighbors until 2:30 a.m. and the ice machine/elevator very often. Front desk staff very difficult to communicate with. Breakfast staff very helpful. A different room....and staff with a smile and helpful attitude would have made for a 5 star rating.

    5
« Ocean view, Great loaction »

Great location, on the beach, clean rooms , very friendly staff, free parking and breakfast - eggs, bacon, ham, etc - was better than I expected . Hot tubs in the room facing the ocean, how fun sipping champagne watching the waves come in its a best western , so prices are fair for what you get. I would stay here every time I am in the area

    4
    « Quiet town »

We traveled to the Oregon coast to enjoy some peace and quiet. We liked the room and balcony where we could hear the sounds of the ocean. This hotel is very close to several very scenic beaches. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. There are 'No fires on the beach" signs, but it's not enforced at all so be prepared to have all of your belongings and room smell like campfire if you want to keep your balcony door open.

    5
« Brookings OREGON Best Western »

We arrived late on a Sunday evening...Monika was most helpful giving us a room that was unsecured and THE LAST ROOM. We loved the walk on the beach that was just outside our room. The room was comfortable and cozy although there was no air conditioning.

    4
    « Never Disappoints! »

This hotel is awesome. The front desk staff never disappoint, they are always friendly and cheerful. The rooms are clean and every room has a view of the ocean. Would recommend this for anyone that visits Brookings.

    5
    « Loved it! »

Great view. Great location. Right on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Everything in room worked. Breakfast ok but better at Sebastian's across the street. Convenient to variety of restaurants. 3-5 min from town. Close to Redwood NP.

« Fabulous ocean views and easy walk to the beach »

I'm not a big fan of Best Western, but this was the only property I could find that guaranteed ocean front views from every room. Room 605 did not disappoint. Large comfortable, clean room. Great view, adequate balcony, quiet yet able to sleep with the door open to hear the surf all night. Big, bright lobby. "Hot" breakfast was nothing to write home about but enough to get us on the road. A decent restaurant, Sebastian's, is an easy walk across the street. So many properties on the coast don't have elevators, but this one does. Nice not to have to schlep stuff up and down stairs. If we return to Brookings, this is where we'll stay.

    5
    « Awesome Experience »

This property is located right on the beach, and the view is glorious, even from rooms that do not face the beachfront. My second-floor queen bed room was spacious and well-appointed. While many hotels only allow one to crack the window for a bit of fresh air, this room had a screened sliding glass door that opened fully to let in the scent and sound of the sea. The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcomed, and when I left an item behind in my room, it was mailed to my home within a week. It's no wonder there's rarely a vacancy available!

    4
« Ocean view, dog friendly »

Stayed only one night on our travels. Very nice large room, ocean view and on the beach. Room was very clean and comfortable. Quiet and slept wonderful. Enjoyed walking the beach. They provide breakfast so I asked when we checked in if one of us could get breakfast and bring it back to the room as we had a dog which isn't allowed in the breakfast area. The woman who checked us in said no problem and she was very sweet. In the morning when my husband went to get breakfast it is posted that no food or dishes could be brought back to the room...

    5
    « Great location »

We stayed here for a couple of nights on a road trip and couldn't have picked a better spot. The hotel is right on the beach with balconies all having a view of the ocean. The pool is lovely and warm, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend if you're driving down the coast.

    « Brookings »

We found this delightful for our final night of vacation! The view was wonderful, except for the morning fog (not your fault)! The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, & reasonably spacious. The breakfast was very good with plenty of food & a wonderfully large room to enjoy it. Everything worked very well & easily. Missed having a freezer in the refrig. though.

    4
    « Good beachfront hotel »

We picked this property based on trip advisor ratings and had a good experience. Stayed 4 nights total. After looking around town it appears this place had the best location and beach access of all the properties in town. All rooms face the ocean so not a bad view from any room. We were on the first floor but wish we were higher. There are about 100 rooms in 3 different buildings and breakfast is served in the main building. Breakfast room was crowded at times and the counters with food backed up frequently. Not a 5-star hotel but great location with good rooms right on the beach. If going to the Brookings area for leisure and want beach access, this is the place to stay.

    5
« Amazing view, comfortable room »

We stayed in an oversized room with a great view of the ocean with our dog. Small refrigerator and stove/sink with dishes are provided in case we wanted to prepare food en suite. Very clean room and we especially loved that housekeeping came in and made bed/changed out towels etc. while we were having breakfast (they may call it continental, but it included eggs and meats and was very plentiful!) so when we went back to the room after breakfast--voila--clean and tidied for us. Went out to the beach in the evening to enjoy a small campfire which was really fun. So peaceful and beautiful with the soothing ocean waves to lull us to sleep each night. Will definitely make this our "go to" place throughout the year!

    5
    « Seaside dream »

Many motels claim to be on the beach, but this one really is. Every room has a view of the Pacific and the motel is just a short walk across the lawn to the beach. The Pacific is a little cool for me for swimming, but a walk on the beach was refreshing, and watching campfires on the beach at night brought back great memories. The room was well appointed and comfortable, breakfast was a little above standard. I highly recommend this motel for visits to the southern Oregon coast.

    5
« Right on the beach! »

What a wonderful place! We had planned to stay 2 nights but enjoyed it so much we extended our stay another night. From the friendly, helpful, professional front desk staff to the clean, spacious room, our stay here was wonderful. All rooms have a balcony facing the beach with sliding doors so you can hear the surf & smell the ocean. The room has a fridge, micro & small prep sink. The beds were well made & very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy & there was a nice sized closet. The free daily breakfast was great, lots of variety & attentive staff who kept it well stocked. An added benefit was real dishes & cutlery, no paper or plastic. I would definitely recommend the Beachfront Inn!

    4
« Good all round hotel »

We've stayed here a number of times while driving the coastal highway, always reliable and clean. Some good restaurants less than a block away, and a short walk to the beach. A nice breakfast , cooked to order is a nice touch.

    « Excellent Time »

Had a great stay. When got in room we immediately opened sliding door to hear the ocean. And kept it open until leaving. So peaceful hearing the waves coming to the shore line. Found excellent places to eat. Went to a couple different beaches. Had a fantastic time.

    5
« A warm beautiful place to stay »

The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and equipped with everything we might have needed. The view was amazing. I can't wait to stay again. Each room has a balcony that looks out over the ocean. What a beautiful relaxing atmosphere.

    5
« Listen to the Surf! »

We enjoy staying at oceanfront Best Western hotels along the coast, and Brookings has one of the best views, even from the first floor. Here we stayed in the direct oceanfront building (the other buildings are farther away) and especially enjoyed the balcony. The beach is right there, in front of you! We stayed 2-nights and enjoyed walks on the beach each morning and evening. Breakfast at the hotel was very good, and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant across the street was not good, but Zola's delivers awesome pizza. We give this Best Western double thumbs-up for location and value..... where else can you listen to the surf all night?

    5
    « Top notch experience. »

The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the beach front. The breakfast was first class-even included fresh fruit salad We ran out of Kleenex in the room and a staff person arrived immediately with a new box for us

« super beautiful coastal stay. »

We have stayed at Brookings BW before. It is exceptionally clean, and the location could not be more perfect for the beach experience. This time was no exception, even though the coast and ocean was socked in from fog. Nice room, good internet, and Seattle Best coffee in room, comfy bed! A winner!

    « Rave »

My husband, 2 teenage grandsons & I stayed at this BW+ in mid-July. The check in clerk did a great job of finding the right room for us -- near (across the hall) to the elevator for me and in addition to the two queen beds, there was a sofa-bed for one the second grandson. Very well appointed room and the view was spectacular. My only negative comment would be that it would have been nice to have had a king bed since my husband and I are both big people. That said, I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

    5
    « love the ocean »

The ocean so close you can fell it! The sunset is like no other. If you love the beach and fabulous sunsets, don't miss out on any opportunity to stay at Best Western Beachfront Inn........Also great food within walking distance.........Dan of Central Point,OR

    « Quilt retreat »

Hotel was excellent location. The view from our room and the patio were excellent. A quieter fan would have been great for cooling the room at night. Hotel was great!!! Walks on the beach are very accessible and a great way to unwind. Was a little concerned about the fires on the beach at night but it never seemed to be a problem.

    3
« Nice place on the beach »

You can't beat the location of this Best Western. Pros- location, restaurants nearby, clean, comfy bed. Sliding patio door with screen. Cons-you can hear the folks in the room above walking around and using the bathroom. Not a full service motel. Small balcony, you couldn't even turn the chairs to face the ocean. Breakfast was not very good, but free.

    5
    « Great family place. »

Went during 4th of July weekend. Place completely booked. Full of families staying for the weekend. Awesome location. Right on beach, walking distance to many restaurants and harbor. Everyone on staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Breakfast is pretty good. For the entire hotel completely booked, the grounds were kept clean, pool towels were abundant, rooms were cleaned well. We have been coming to this hotel for nearly 30 years. We are on our third generation staying at this hotel. What a great experience. I love coming here. I highly recommend this place any time of the year. One of my favorite places to stay.

  • 2
    « Aging and expensive »

Our stay here was OK, but nothing special. The motel is aging and the housekeeping staff are not very observant of the guests needs when making up the rooms. We also thought the price charged for a room was excessive, considering the quality of the rooms. Perhaps they feel they can charge more because of their location to the beach.

    5
« What an amazing location and view of the ocean »

The hotel and it's location are amazing. The hotel could use air conditioning. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. It is very relaxing. Another benefit is, the hotel is pet friendly.

    « Brookings Bestest Western »

This hotel is in a wonderful location right on the ocean. Great views and plenty of nearby food establishments. The rooms are great. We had one with a jacuzzi and it was great sitting in the tub staring out at and listening to the ocean. Check in was fast and Monica and Veronica were very friendly and professional. This hotel is dog friendly also-we usually bring ours but went solo. They have a wing of rooms where pets aren't allowed. Great idea-no pet smell and noise. We just love this place and will be back many more times. Highly recommended.

« Best Beach Hotel in Southern Oregon »

We had a great stay, wonderful weather and great view on the sunset. We will definitely visit this hotel again! If you want a great hotel at a good price visit this hotel. For a costal hotel in Southern Oregon this is the best beachfront hotel around. And if you want to fish for the day it's just a walk out the front door.

We would recommend that everyone stay here at least once in a lifetime! Seriously, it is a great stay.! It is easily located right off highway #101 on the Oregon Coast highway, and a beautiful location to view the ocean. Great choice for a leisurely stay.

    5
    « Comfortable »

Customer service at check-in was great. The rooms were comfortable. They provided breakfast which had everything you can imagine. They even accommodated a guest who had an allergy issue. It was directly across from Harbor. Walking distance to restaurants.

    « Great place! »

The hotel was booked full for the 4th of July weekend. But the staff handled everyones needs and a wonderful time was had by all. Good Job, Dave and Monica and the staff at Best Western Beach Front Inn!

« Ocean View, Sound of Waves »

From the very pleasant, fast check in to our speedy checkout, our night at BW Plus Brookings was perfect. Our spacious room was tasteful and quiet. The bed was comfortably firm, but not hard. The pillows were excellent. We used the good guest laundry that had lots of machines available. Above all, we appreciated that the balconies were non smoking so we could keep our door open or sit on the balcony and enjoy the amazing view. The cooked breakfast was sufficient. We consider this hotel to be good value for the Oregon Coast. We did not find a restaurant that interested us open in June near the hotel, but there are options a quick drive nearby.

    « A return visit »

When staying in Brookings OR we wouldn't consider staying any where else. We have always enjoyed our stay and the hot breakfast. Right on the beach so, how could it get any better. We have never had a complaint to register while staying here. Best accomodation for the money most anywhere.

« Perfect in every way »

It was true elation to walk into my room and open the balcony door. The most beautiful ocean beach singing her song. I was frozen in my own little world of joy and awe. This was a dream come true and every day since I left I want to go back. From check in to check out and everything in between it was perfect. Staff, rooms, food and service all perfect. The beach was lovely for our own little fire. Please treat yourself to this great property.

My Husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary in Brookings. We love the Oregon Coast and chose it over some of the other places that couples might go to. We were amazed: Beautiful rooms, Quiet, refrigerator and microwave in the rooms, friendly staff, Beach right outside our door. Loved our stay!

    « Great Value »

Best location and quality in Brookings Oregon. Ocean views and access to beach are perfect. They offer a full buffet breakfast with plenty of seating. You can walk to the harbor and beach...and they are pet friendly!!

« Nice Room and a Fabulous View! »

We don't normally stay at Best Western (primarily because we have points with another chain), but we were pleasantly surprised with this property. We requested a handicap accessible room and were pleased to see that it was directly off the elevator. The view of the ocean from these rooms is incredible. They have a nice breakfast offering with very hard working staff constantly clearing and cleaning the breakfast room. I was disappointed by the attention to detail in tidying our balcony though. There were towels, cigarette butts and a lighter left on our balcony - so much for a non-smoking room.

    4
    « Room with a view »

This is my go to place when visiting relatives in the area. Arrived around 2am. Called ahead to inform them of late check in. Ring the intercom to get assistance. Dog friendly. Picnic tables, grassy area, and private beach. Imagine waking up to the refreshing sound of the ocean waves and the view of the spectacular Pacific Ocean. Price = $175

    5
« Nice cozy place on beach »

we had a very nice stay , windows open all night sound of waves hitting sea shore was wonderful, the sunset was great. could not ask for more, I would recommend this Best western to any one traveling this coast. We are a older couple and old or young you will enjoy the lovely beach.. The rooms are well done and you can move in them not tiny at all.

    5
« Can not beat this place. »

Great location, great furnishings, friendly staff, all make this a first rate facility. The views from the room are spectacular, look right out on the beach. Comfortable bed. We found this by looking for Best Western and were not disappointed.

    5
« Nice room with great view of the water! »

My wife and I stopped in Brookings for the last leg of our trip down the coast. The Best Western Beachfront Inn had been recommended to us by some friends in Oregon who spend time on the coast. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a great view of the beach, which we spent some time walking along. The king bed was comfortable. We didn't use the pool, but some families seemed to be having a good time there. The breakfast, which was included, was ample and had a good range of selections. We'd definitely stay there again.

    5
« Beachfront, great view, great breakfast »

This is the third or fourth time we've stayed here. All the rooms have beach views. It's easy to access and have a walk or watch the sunset. The breakfast which was included in our stay was EXCELLENT. Scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. Then you can toast your own bagels, or toast. Juices, yogurt, V-8, instant oatmeal, dry cereal. And, all the fixings: salsa and cheese for your eggs if you like, some fruit, some fruit salad, coffee, tea, cocoa. For a free hotel breakfast--top notch! There's a pool that's outdoor, and a decent size, but we did not partake. Coin operated laundry, large parking lot, and a quick drive to the Hungry Clam for dinner--what more could you want? It is a bit more pricey than the average Best Western, but it's worth it!!

    « Stay here! »

From the energy of the staff the moment you walk in the lobby to the quality of our king spa room, this place is one of the nicest Best Western properties we've stayed at. The room was clean, all amenities worked including the Wi-Fi. The bed was very comfortable and Seattle's Best coffee in room. The spa tub was hands down the nicest and most comfortable one we've used. There was a window above that you could look out of while in the tub (or even open if you want that fresh ocean air.) There was a sliding glass door with a small balcony overlooking the ocean. Truly an incredible sight. The breakfast was organized and fresh all made of great quality foods. I highly recommend this property!

« Friendly people, fantastic location, and very comfortable »

We will return! We stayed here 1 night on the way to our vacation city and so enjoyed everything about the Beachfront Inn and the Brookings/Harbor area that we made last minute plans to return again on our way home. You can't ask for friendlier more helpful people from the minute you check in all the way through staggering in for free breakfast in the morning. The location is everything you want when visiting a coastal town; on the beach and just steps from the harbor. The 2 rooms we stayed in were both well equipped, comfortable and clean. We're already planning a vacation here in the near future so we can take advantage of all that is offered for a longer duration.

    « Graduation 2016 »

From beginning to end this hotel was spot on! The booking process was easy and uncomplicated. I let her know I would be arriving late which was not a problem. I received a call about 8 o'clock that evening, checking on my status. She let me know the office closed at 11 o'clock but that I should ring the bell at the front door and the night clerk would let us in. When i arrived at approximately 11:45 pm she had stayed open to let me in. The check in process was easy. All rooms have ocean or beach views and anyone who has been to the Oregon Coast can appreciate that. . They are clean, modern and well appointed. The breakfast was adequate with a variety of selections. Direct beach access where you can spend the days playing on the beach. At night build your own fire and look at the stars while listening to the waves crash upon the shore. Truly a gem, this was my second time staying and will most definitely stay again.

Had a very nice room on left side of beach. Family suite with 2 queen beds. Beds were ok. It was pet friendly and my mother and I stayed there with 2 dogs for 3 notes. Yorkie & Border Collie who are both very well trained as well as crate trained. We brought our own wire crate, but I wonder what other people do as I did not see anyone else bring a crate and there were quite a few other large dogs present. I was a bit concerned when our dogs kept smelling the carpet, but I guess that is expected when you are staying in a pet friendly room. Also, there was a large wet spot on the carpet when we first got our room, but I didn't notice until I took off my shoes. Maybe the hotel should have some rooms with crates, but not everyone crate trains their dogs. One other small thing, maybe when they update someday they could change balcony railings. We sat outside quite a bit after day on beach before going out to dinner. Would be nice if there was a better option that didn't block view when relaxing. We did see a whale..., so it's a great place to relax and was nice to be right on beach. There was a WHOLE lot of drift wood on the beach. Maybe they clear some of it at a later date. I think next time I stay here we will go without pets and stay in one of the other rooms closer to beach that is not a pet friendly room. They looked like they had great views!

« Excellent place to stay »

I stay at this hotel every week and have never had a reason to complain. The rooms are clean, very courteous staff and the view of the ocean is excellent since the hotel is on the beach. The best place to stay in Brookings, Oregon.

« Stay at the ocean »

Very nice rooms and an excellent view of the ocean. We had a good hot breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. We were on the third floor with a balcony so we were able to sleep with our door open letting us hear the ocean while we were awake.

    « Beautiful Views »

Have stayed here with the family, just with spouse and by myself. Love the views from the corner suites. The hot tub rooms are great. Having the ocean within steps of the rooms is a very big plus. The restruant across from the hotel is ok, but the gift shop has the most amazing fudge on the coast. Great get away spot on the beach. Will be visiting again soon.

Staying here 5/31/16. Beach front with balcony. $200 a night with AAA. Jazuzzi tub wth view of ocean. King bed room 229. Animals can't stay in this building But they do except animals. I just don't know where they put them. They have full breakfast. Looks like food all around us. Seafood and prime rib across the street.

« Wonderful dog friendly hotel »

This was our first visit to the best western beachfront inn. We were thoroughly impressed. Sometimes when you book hotel that is dog friendly and you have two little fur babies, you are left with a room that smells and doesn't seem as well cared for...this was not the case with the beachfront inn. The room was immaculate and the views were unforgettable. I slept so soundly with the pounding surf and the smell of the ocean air. We will definitely return.

« Always satisfied with Best Western! »

I love this hotel. You can't beat the location. I have stayed her twice and both times I was extremely satisfied. The breakfast was ample and tasty. The beach access was awesome and Brookings has great weather! I can't wait to go back!

« Gem By The Sea »

I started staying at BW again in June of 2016 & that was in Alaska so I thought it was a one time good experience but I was wrong. I had read the reviews on Trip Advisor before our trip & had decided to stay here & I was not disappointed. Front desk offered to show us 2 rooms so we could decide which we would prefer-she even took us there as opposed to just giving us a key & looking ourselves. We chose the king room which was a little further from the water but our building was by itself & was very quiet except for listening to the pacific ocean which we left our patio door open all night to do just that. Our room was large with a love seat, chair/ottoman & desk. The room was nicely decorated & very clean. The breakfast buffet was included with the room which was standard buffet but they had bacon on it was the first I had encountered on a buffet. This is the third BW we have stayed at on this trip & they have all been wonderful but this was my favorite. BW has definitely stepped up their game.

« Great location, clean & comfortable, a little noisy. »

The hotel is located right on the ocean, with views of the ocean and beach. When we checked in, we asked if they had cookies like the Best Western in Florence. They responded that they used to but providing cookies is passé. Too bad, we think cookies is a nice touch. Room is good standard Best Western type?clean and well-maintained. Not-well sound proofed, were awakened by people walking around in the room above us. It was nice to see security patrolling the hotel property at night. Breakfast was regular Best Western breakfast. There were plenty of grassy areas for us to walk our dog and easy beach access allowed us to walk him on the beach.

    « A Window By The Sea »

A very nice motel with great water views. The rooms are quite large and very quite with parking right in front. The breakfast was good too. It is removed from the highway by about a five minute drive, but easy to get to.

This is a nice hotel with a great ocean view. The room was clean and very comfortable during my 2 night stay for business. The amenities included a substantial breakfast and internet. I would definitely stay here again when in Brookings.

    « Great View »

Great ocean view and free breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub. Rooms have plenty of space with a small kitchenette and sitting area. I believe every room has an ocean view. The ocean is within a few hundred feet of the hotel. Great area to walk on the beach and on boardwalk in this area.

    « Coast Visit »

As one of our favorite places, it was so good to return to Brookings. Any time we visit Brookings, without our RV, we stay at Best Western Beachfront Inn. Our accommodations are always very comfortable and the staff professional and friendly. We will stay here again and recommend this location.

« Nice clean hotel in a nice location »

Great view of the ocean from the rooms facing west. The place is relatively new, so things look and are nice. Did not spend much time other than to sleep, so did not get a chance to check the place out.

    3
« Great location - but that is about it »

Yes, every room has an ocean view and access to the beach, and the price is fair for the area. The only reason I can't rate it higher is because of the sub-standard service. We had quite a bit of luggage and asked for help carrying up the stairs (no elevator)....after 10 minutes, my husband gave up waiting and did all the trips himself. The breakfast is the usual green oranges, stale cereal, and Costco pastries --- skip. On the plus side, The Bell & Whistle Cafe is minutes away and they have terrific coffee and lovely staff. Also minutes away, is Zola's Pizzaria. We didn't have the nerve to try their mac&cheese pizza...maybe next time.

« Great hotel with access to the ocean »

This hotel from the time it was built has hired wonderful employees. The view of the ocean from all rooms and decks on the property is grand. Very easy access to walk on the beach and explore the nearby fishing boats and small restaurants and shops. A great cup of coffee each morning and more!

    « An enjoyable stay »

We use Best Western because invariably it is a good experience. Our stay was no exception. It is right on the beach and within walking distance to the harbor. All the rooms have a view of the ocean and the hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. The bed was comfortable and it was great to fall asleep hearing the surf. Even though we were on the third floor we did miss having privacy curtains.

    « Get away weekend »

It was great. Their website said pets welcome, so I didn't think to mention I was bringing my dog. The front desk was very accommodating. They didn't have a pet room available, so she said they would just leave me in the room they had for me. Very nice staff. I will definitely go there again.

    4
    « Good location »

Good location with beach view and easy access. Very nice room and local dinning within walking distance. Very comfortable. The pool and in room jaccuzi were very nice. The morning breakfast was great and well attended.

« Great, cozy get away »

We reserved the oceanfront king room and had amazing views of the beach and ocean and were lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves just outside our sliding glass door. We saw whales and osprey and enjoyed walking the nearby stretch of beach. The front desk staff was super friendly and efficient and let me have a late checkout so I could sleep in a little and enjoy a run along the Chetco River. The rooms were clean but the deck could have used a little wiping down (hello seagulls!), but over all it was a lovely stay. Unfortunately, (or not), we did not get up in time to try the breakfast that was included. We were on wonderful vacation mode!

Wonderful!! Excellent!! Got to take my dogs!! Great rooms with ocean views, balcony. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast is out of this world. Really, really great place to stay. We had an oceanfront room and it was awesome. The room was big, the beds were comfortable, the shower was perfect. The view from our balcony was the best. We have been to this hotel numerous times before and it never disappoints.

    « They Did Good! »

We've stayed several times at this hotel. Always outstanding friendly people and the views are OMG! I don't think it' possible to get a room bad room here. If you want some sand and ocean time this is the place - you won't regret it.

« Beach Views from Every Room »

This is an outstanding property. Every room has a view of the ocean and access to the beach is easy. The rooms are clean and well appointed with wonderfully soft beds. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had trouble with our microwave and within two minutes of our call two people came to adjust the problem. Breakfast is everything from ham, eggs, biscuits and gravy to dry cereal and toast with lots of fresh fruit available. The coffee is excellent. This is any easy place to recommend. We stayed three nights and would love to return.

    4
« The draw is the location and the view of the ocean »

This property has an enviable location with all rooms some kind of view of the water. We stayed in Room 311 w/2 queen beds. Positives: location, beach access, clean and nice staff, pricing was decent for April ($135 per night), nice breakfast options. Negatives: Worn around the edges i.e. walls banged up in places, Light seepage around door, a lighted smoke alarm directly OVER your bed, needs a mat at front door due to sand tracking into carpet.

    « relaxing and beautiful »

My friend and I meet here every year to catch up on our lives. We love this place, the beach, motel and employees. Every one is kind and helpful, the rooms are very clean. They try and give us the same favorite room every year and let us have the room as early as possible. Stay here and you will be happy you did and you will come back!!

    « Great place! »

Quiet, away from the road, right on the beach. Everything works and is clean. Staff is great. WiFi and hot breakfast included. Wifi pretty quick. Breakfast good, not great. It is a little old. Some cheap materials and some patched damage. Minor stuff, just enough to keep you from saying wow, what a nice place. But I would be very happy to come back.

    5
« Every room is beach front! »

We love this hotel and have stayed here several times. It is very rare to find a hotel on the coast where every room has an ocean view. The rooms we have stayed in are big and spacious with sofa, chair, ottoman, table with two chairs, king size bed, refrigerator, and microwave. The bed and the chair/ottoman face the slider and thus the ocean view. It's a quick walk to the beach from any room. The beach is quite large providing space for nice long walks. Don't miss out on the spectacular sunsets. There's an adequate restaurant and bar across the street, but we enjoy going into town. A free breakfast is served at the hotel. There is a RV park right next to the hotel which makes for an ideal way for large groups to gather fairly close together.

    « Loved This Place!! »

We loved this hotel. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Lots of space to spread out for our family of 4. Very comfortable beds - even the pull-out sofas were GREAT!! Memory Foam queen sofa beds. The view of the ocean was amazing. Can't say enough good about this place. Good breakfast in the morning also.

« Great hotel on beach »

This place is right on the beach at the harbor in Brookings. It's clean and has an excellent full complimentary breakfast. The king bed was comfortable and there is a small balcony that opens up to the beach. The room was spacious with a small couch and desk. The heated pool and hot tub were great. The staff was nice. We had a room above us and the stomping of that guest got very annoying as we didn't have the same hours awake/asleep as they did. Would ask for top floor room next time. No elevator so you have to lug your bags up and down stairs. Close to town being at Harbor so it was convenient to go around and come back to room as needed. The weather was abnormally warm during our winter visit and the room did not have AC, being so close to ocean. The room was equipped with a plugin fan that was kept in closet which we used and it helped cool our room a bit. Would absolutely stay here again.

    « Great stay »

Beautiful views, rooms are large and clean with lots of amenities. Staff is very accommodating. Large breakfast area, staff keeps the food coming and everything clean and tidy. You have plenty of beach to enjoy, even if weather is bad you can enjoy it from your balcony. Our stay was a last minute idea, weather was supposed to be raining, but were greeted with clear skies and sunshine. Brookings is usually sunnier than some areas. Would definitely recommend this property. We have stayed here many times and never been disappointed.

    « Setting is amazing! »

Second floor. Ocean front. Never closed balcony door. Very picturesque. Ordered dinner to go from Sebastian's across the street. Very large portions. Calamari, shrimp and salmon were very fresh. In room jacuzzi a definite plus. Will definitely return.

    « Clean Beautiful Room »

We have stayed here several times and while it is probably the most expensive place in Brookings it is well worth it. They have pet friendly rooms and it seems most every room has an awesome ocean view. The rooms are spacious and clean and there is plenty of parking This place gets our vote!

    5
« Great spot on the beach »

A great location right on the beach just south of the Chetco river. Nice updated rooms with a great view of the Pacific Ocean and food and shopping located close enough to walk. Access to beach at your doorstep and after your exploring the hot tub or pool provide relaxing benefits.

« Probably the best in Brookings, but not a "great" property to stay for a few days. »

I often have occasion to stay at Best Western properties and many of them are very, very nice. This hotel has an okay location on the south end of Brookings. It does have a beach view and access to the beach ... but it's a very small beach area by Oregon coast standards. We booked a three night stay at this location based on the Trip Advisor reviews and the only thing I can figure out is that this place is the best that Brookings has to offer. Which sorry to say, isn't saying much. Perhaps we just had a bad room ... although the nice person who checked us out said we were in the best building. The problem was we were on the first floor surrounded by dog owners who apparently left their pets unattended for long periods of time as we heard yelping/barking for most of one day. The bed was so uncomfortable that I ended up sleeping in a chair. The wifi was also not working most of one day. Because the property was full, I did not complain or ask for another room as I'm sure there wasn't a lot left to offer. I also thought things were on the chintzy side ... as in only two towels, limited pillows, no fitted sheets, no extra blanket, no fan/air conditioning available ... hard, hard mattress. (We did get more towels from the office). Again, little things that if I was only staying one night probably wouldn't have left me feeling meh about the whole experience. Three days of being uncomfortable is not a great vacation. Now the good ... the people who work at this location were very helpful. The rooms are very clean and are spacious. They do offer a breakfast and based on how many people were partaking, it must have been pretty good. We did not try the food and dined at the place across the street. (good food, good service and good value).

    « Ocean Front Hotel »

We enjoyed the view of the ocean. The hotel was close to stores and restaurants and the pool was clean. They accommodated our reservation even though I had made it for the next day by accident. The double queen room with kitchenette was comfortable and big enough for our family of 5.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

My family and I stayed here about ten years ago on a trip on the Oregon coast, and we stayed here again, hoping for a similar experience as we remembered. It was just as good or better than we remembered the first time. Great hotel, great staff that was very accommodating, and a really nice location on the beach. This is NOT a 5 star luxury hotel, nor is it meant to be. It is a really nice, clean comfortable room with easy access to everything. I you have ever been traveling, for business perhaps, and stayed in a suitable hotel, and thought to yourself..... hmmmm, wouldn't it be cool if I could just open the door to my room and walk right out to a cool beach, and not really in the terms of a "tourist stop"... then this is that place. No disappointments for us at all.

    4
    « Ocean side rooms »

This is our second time we have stayed at this motel. We enjoyed both stays, requested and received top floors both times. From the top floor, you can look out over the ocean for quite some distance. Staff both times have been very helpful for both of our stays. The breakfast was decent, dining area was clean and spacious. When we return for our vacation, this is one of the motels that is a must "stay in" for us.

    4
    « one night stay »

This hotel is convenient and well advertised, but all Best Western's are... Clean and well maintained. Got a room with a view of the ocean and was right next door to a great restaurant. I felt the price was high for the area but when you stay on the coast I guess you have to expect it. We have stayed at B/W before and paid less for the same quality...

    5
    « Excellent days »

I was only supposed to stay here for two days but ended up staying for about six days, loved to have stayed longer. The location of the hotel very close to the coast and the friendly and helpful staff made me want to stay for more days. I will be revisiting this place again in the future.

    5
    « Only hotel,right on the beach....great Staff! »

Rooms overhead can be a bit noisy...and limited handicapped access...but great staff...more than willing to help! Dog friendly...which is a big plus to a lot of people. I'll be back....especially since they went out of their way to put me close to th front desk and my car...very hard for me to walk.

    4
« Lets get the breakfast right »

Based on what just happened to Chipotle. The cereal was stale and needed to be replaced. While having breakfast my friend selected cereal it turned out to be not crunchy as a cereal directly from the box. Lets get the breakfast right The room was very good but the sounds from other rooms woke me several times as other patrons walk the room about and walk way in front of the room. People's discussions could easily be heard in my room.

    5
    « Great Ocean View »

Very nice and clean with great service and an amazing ocean view. We stay every year as we travel up Hwy 1. The staff are courteous and helpful, beds are comfortable and room is clean. Great overall stay!

Best Western Beachfront is a lovely hotel with a great view to see the ocean. I have never had a bad experience here, and the staff are always friendly. I enjoy the large hot tub and heated pool. It's nice that I can bring my dog with me as well.

« Beachfront truly means easy beach access and ocean view! »

Sometimes the term "beachfront" leaves you disappointed on the Oregon Coast. Like when you have to walk down 300 stairs on the face of a cliff to get to the water. Or your "beachfront" room doesn't have an ocean view. But at this hotel, you get easy beach access and a great ocean view from your room and balcony. The only negative I can think of is you can't walk directly from your sliding patio door out to the beach. We go out the front door and walk to the end of your building, and then we're basically at the beach. But this is no big whoop. The first floor is actually about a half-story above ground level so that's why you can't just pop out to the beach from your balcony. Rooms on all 3 stories have balconies. Oceanview balconies are a must on the Oregon coast because the weather often dictates that you're only going to enjoy the ocean from your room with a cup of coffee or glass of wine in your hand. The heated pool and hot tub/spa are outdoors. This is a plus in my opinion because I can't stand the smell of chlorine in those overly steamy unpleasant indoor pool rooms. And kids will swim in any kind of weather as long as the water is heated. Hot breakfast and wifi are free. Rooms have new carpet, new bedding, granite, fridge, microwave, little kitchen sink, and coffee maker. Now that Brookings is getting some good restaurants (e.g. Oxenfre Public House) I will stay in Brookings more often. I give major kudos to this hotel because they've hit everything on my list of "criticals." The only other beachfront hotel on the Oregon coast that comes close to this is the Overleaf Lodge in Yachats. But the Overleaf doesn't have a pool open to kids. (The pool is in their quiet spa area upstairs.) And there's no sandy beach at the Overleaf. It's built on a flat, smooth rocky landing, which is beautiful too, but no fun if you want to build sand castles or chase waves. I digress. Back to the BW Beachfront Inn. It nails everything that a beach-combing family of 4 looks for on the Oregon Coast, except maybe the price. We paid $164 during spring break. I have paid more for less elsewhere on the coast. Going forward, I will try to shop off-season deals. BTW, hotel tax in Brookings is only 1%!! This surprised me and made me like Brookings even more.

    3
    « Beachfront »

Traveled on a busy spring break, so hotel was full. Our room had a great view of the beach. Very rocky beach. The bad part was when we got into our room is smelled very bad. Almost like a locker room at a gym. Smell never left. I think the room was just lightly cleaned before our arrival and it was rushed. Too bad because otherwise the room was pretty nice. Breakfast was crowded and limited. Even though I would recommend this hotel - the higher the floor, the better the view. Brought pizza back to the room from a place down the street.

    5
« Great location for seeing whales! »

We haven't ever stayed in Brookings before, but definitely plan on coming back. I always hope to see whales whenever I go to the coast . We were so rewarded!! We were going to dinner the first evening and I realized I needed my raincoat so I walked back into the room to grab it. I looked out the window and immediately saw whales, yes, more than one, spouting. I watched for several minutes and saw so many whales spouting, spy hopping, and rolling in the waves. It was so cool!! Every room has an ocean view. Definitely worth the stay!

    « Over-priced but good location »

The hotel is right on a small beach in Brookings, Oregon. It's made up of two buildings of rooms and is close to a few small restaurants as well. Location: The beach it is located on is very small, but still a fun place to walk in the evenings. Beware of the bonfires on the small beach at night, as the smoke often goes towards the hotel rooms - meaning you cannot leave your windows open at night to hear the sound of the ocean (which is actually very pleasant if you have an ocean view room) Dogs: We brought two dogs with us which was really nice, but if you do not like dogs or are allergic don't stay at this property. They only let dogs in one of the two buildings, but there are careless dog owners that do not pick up after their doggies. Room: We had a ocean-view king room with a jetted tub. It cost over 200 bucks for the night which I thought was a bit over priced. The large jetted soaking tub in the room was very old and dirty, and had a couple small dead insects around it. I'd suggest the hotel up its housekeeping operation. The rooms were decently appointed though, not too old but not too modern either. The hotel is a good option if just stopping for a night, I wouldn't suggest a long-term stay.

    « Beachfront Beauty »

Our trip to the West Coast was for business. This hotel was very accommodating, even upgrading out room to an oceanfront room vs. oceanview. Very clean and well trained staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Perfect oceanfront view »

We had an oceanfront King room, the balcony is right over a nice sandy beach. The room was clean, comfortable, and fairly large. The staff was great. The free breakfast was a full on buffet, so that was a huge plus. Overall, this place was perfect and I will definitely stay here every time I visit Brookings.

    « March 2016 »

The location of the hotel by the beach is spectacular. If you have a dog being on the first floor was very accommodating, but the second floor view is awesome. Room 100 is very nice and is right next to the pool so if you like peace and quiet that room may not be to your liking.

    3
    « Pretty isolated location »

The location was apparently on the shipyard and next to the RV park. Really poor location and worth checking it out before booking. Nothing in walking distance nearby for eating except Sebastian's, which wasn't as bad as some of the reviews I have read - friendly service and fresh if sub-average food.

Wow!!! Our room faced the beautiful ocean. We saw one of the best sunsets while sitting on our deck and enjoyed a campfire on the beach just outside our room. This was 5 stars and then some. The staff were fantastic and so friendly. Breakfast was a nice spread. Definitely a great way to spend an evening after driving through the redwood forest.

    « Good location »

This hotel sits close to the water and has easy access to a paved path along the oceanfront. The hotel takes dogs and there is ample grassy areas to walk the dog besides on the beach. There is a small mound with grass and sand between the hotel and the beach, so if you get a pet friendly room on the ground floor, the view of the ocean is restricted.

    « very nice views »

Easy off and on to highway system. Beach front views. A very relaxing place to enjoy the waves and air. Very nice clean rooms. The staffing is friendly. They have a full breakfast well stocked. They have a gift shop across the street.

    « Excellent Oceanside Hotel »

This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel in the past year. Great location, with view of a fantastic view of the ocean. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are lean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel for travelers who travel along the Oregon coast. If we are in Brookings, OR again, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Very nice, clean, friendly staff hotel.... Beach access - drive on - was very cool. The deer walking around the property was a pleasant surprise! Very nice family restaurants near by.... Including an Irish pub with live music - great food and cold Guinness!

« Warm February stay at the coast »

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Best Western Beachfront Inn. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a view of the ocean. The grounds are immaculate. We spent the afternoon sitting in lounge chairs on the soft grass (not much beach after the tremendous storms we've had) watching the ocean and the sunset. Great walking area, very safe.

« Fantastic ocean view, great friendly, professional staff. »

The room was spacious with a fully eqipped kitchen area. The balcony had a million dollar view of the Pacific ocean. The lobby staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I am a local and if I need a place to stay I will come back. I will also refer any friends or family to do so.

    « Love this place »

Best Ocean front views, close to great food and allows my dogs. Always a bit pricy but worth it. I always stay in the medium non smoking rooms in the newer building. These are so under priced make sure to snag one of these rooms

« Good value, good people, good service! »

The hotel rooms are comfy with awesome ocean views, while the friendly and helpful staff make sure everything is clean, in order and eager to make your stay the best. Always a smile when you check in and out! You can't go wrong staying here except if you book to late!

« Beachfront Inn Brookings, OR »

Excellent lodging and service. Great views and service. I had heard good things previously, but had opted for motel nearer my business destination. This was along a detour route and I thought I would give it a try. Lucky detour! Also pet friendly.

« Love the scenery and Sebastians »

The restaurant across the street is legit! Sebastians has a great menu and watching the ocean while you eat is awesome. The scenery off of the balcony is beautiful and the ability to listen to the waves crashing all night is amazing. The close proximity to the ocean makes for a quick walk to the beach. The beach has lots of rocks so it's not to easy to wear sandals but it is easy to walk on in shoes. There are seals and surfers in the tides and occasionally you can see whales. The port area is cool and you can watch them pull in crab/salmon/shrimp and other seafood. The staff at the hotel has been friendly and the check in process is easy. There is a heated pool and hot tub though just getting your own Jacuzzi tub is much easier.

love the location and the rooms the view and the sound of the ocean i sleep like a baby . the breakfast was not the best compared to other best western. but looking forward to my next stay their. the price was reasonable ,room was clean the only bad thing was a barking dog that was not suppose to be in that building. a must stay

    « Beautiful Beachfront Property »

The rooms were absolutely perfect for a relaxing ocean stay. Very clean and surprisingly quiet. We left the sliding glass door open at night so that we could hear the ocean waves. We were pleasantly surprised at how close the room was to the beach. A delightful place!

    « Beachfront Inn a great getaway! »

The location of this hotel was excellent! The sound of the ocean gave us much respite and a good night's sleep. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our only concern was the lackluster breakfast; powdered eggs and mushy melon bowl. But we would go back, but probably eat breakfast out.

« Wonderful place to stay. »

This Best Western is my favorite place to stay in Brookings, OR. The price, room accommodations, staff and facilities are excellent. I've stayed here during the summer and the pool is great. Breakfast is wonderful, well stocked and great choices. The hotel staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I love the fact that all rooms have an ocean view with a balcony. Best of all this place is pet friendly.

    5
    « A wonderful spot »

This hotel is at the harbor with the added bonus of having the beach out the back door. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was a bit more in cost than I expected in January but was very nice. We opted for the cheaper room that wasn't as close to the harbor; however, that put us closer to the beach.

    5
« When in Brookings OR this is the place to stay »

Located in Oregon's Banana Belt. It doesn't get much better that this. Close to the Ocean beach, Boat harbor & many fine restaurants & shops. Excellent breakfast. All rooms have ocean view. They have Electric Vehicle charging station plugs available for Electric Cars too.

    4
« The most amazing location »

This hotel has the best location in Oregon! Its not expensive. Its great value for money. They don't serve food in the evening. The breakfast was the worst we have ever had in the US. However I would stay here again because the sound of the waves overnight. the access to the beach was amazing and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Customer Service was good. A real gem.

    4
    « Stormy Weather »

We were not able to keep the sliding door or window open because of near by smokers stinking up the area. but over all the hotel and the staff are very nice. The hotel is in a great area of Brookings with lots of great places to eat. It is right in the area of the charter fishing boats and whale watching trips.

    4
    « The Room »

Located just a few steps from the water of the Pacific Ocean, this hotel is wonderful. The ocean tide is steps away from the room balcony. The view is totally unobstructed and by leaving the door open a bit, the calm sound of the ocean soothes the mind.

    5
    « cost of room »

The cost of room was very expensive. We were hoping when we had a night reserved we would be able to spend 2 nights but with the cost even with the discount was too expensive. The service was good and the bed was very comfortable.

    « Anniversary Stay »

We came to Brookings to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. Stayed at the Best Western like we always do..nothing but good things to say about the hotel and the staff. Went to O'Holleran's for the best steak dinner EVER. Great celebration...can't wait to come back.

    « Love this hotel! »

Beautiful ocean views! This hotel is very clean, especially considering that we have always stayed in pet friendly rooms. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The heated pool and spa is open year round. If you travel with your dog, this is a great place to stay with the beach and grassy areas right there!

    5
    « Always a great stay »

From the minute you check in until the minute you check out, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. The location of the rooms in respect to the ocean cannot be beat. You will feel as though you need a boat as close as you are to the water.

« Great view from all rooms »

It was a very nice and comfortable hotel that welcomed our little dog for a reasonable fee. How nice to open the sliding glass door and listen to the waves hitting the shore. The bed was very comfortable, the free breakfast had hot eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy. We walked next door for a very nice 37th anniversary dinner.

« Fantastic Hotel with a Fantastic View »

I only stayed one night here, but I wish it was longer. The rooms were big, clean, and the view of the beach was amazing. Brookings is a cool town, but you could not leave this hotel during your entire stay and still enjoy it. I also want to throw out a big thank you to the cleaning crew and front desk for taking the time to call and notify me that I had left my Ipad there. Hats off to you for your honesty and hospitality. I would highly suggest this hotel.

    « Must stay »

For the location and price of this hotel you cannot go wrong. We have stayed here twice in the last 4 months and enjoyed both stays. Be sure you get the room with the jetted pool. We didn't get it this trip because we dint realize that every room doesn't come with one.

« Amazing! And they love pets »

This property was amazing! Every room has an ocean view, and you can leave your room and walk out on the beach. They allow pets, and I've never seen a hotel be so happy that you brought your fury friend with you. If you bring your own firewood you can have a fire out on the beach! I love this property and I can't wait to come back! Also must try Zolas pizza only a short drive from the hotel!

It was perfect for our needs. We were passing through on our way north. We had to come up the 101 since I-5 was closed due to storms and snow. We had never been this way before and found this hotel with our iPhones. It was quiet and clean and met our objectives.

    « Amazing as always! »

Ask for room 125, you won't be disappointed! Breathtaking view, right on the water. Very comfortable bed. Love the Jacuzzi tub. Enjoyed every bit of our stay. We didn't want to leave the room, and really there's no need!

    « Clean and friendly! »

The rooms are clean. We had a wonderful view of the ocean. The staff was helpful and happy. The round the clock coffee is always great too!

« Best hotel on the southern oregon coast »

It's always nice to stay at this property, because it is on the beach. Every room has an ocean view and close beach access. It even better now that there is breakfast. If you want to hike or play on the beach, it's right there. We have seen whales on this beach over the years. The weather is the best on the Oregon coast. The rooms are nice and clean. A little pricey, but right on the beach.

    5
    « Wonderful Beach View »

All rooms face the beach, which can be walked and enjoyed. Extremely comfortable bed and overall room amenities. Hot breakfast of anything you want. Quiet heating system in the room. Refrigerator works very well - it has a sink and nice counter for our food and snacks, microwave (all rooms have this.) Hair dryer works great. Actually, no problems at all! Staff throughout the office and cleaning staff were all more than helpful and friendly.

    « Heartbroken »

I have been coming here since I was a little girl, and every time was amazing. Till now. I brought my mom and our dogs to stay 4 nights, and started having problems right away. I put the no maid service sign on the door when I first walked in, and got a phone call 11 am the next day, waking us up, asking if we want maid service. I said no, I will take care of the trash and making beds, we absolutely want no maid service at all. And please don't call us before 3 pm at all, we sleep late. 5 minutes later they call back waking us up asking if we want calls forwarded to our rooms. I said we are trying to nap and no, like I said no calls before 3 please. The next day, the coffee maker was leaking bits of charcoal from the filter into our drinks, so I called the front desk and asked if I could bring the coffee maker to the office to exchange, due to our dogs and not wanting them to get loose or make noise (I didn't want to disturb other guests). They said sure, and then they sent the housekeeper to knock on our door, and the dogs got out and were running all over the hall, I was not happy. So I called the office back and told them I asked if I could bring it myself for a reason. So they told me the maid will meet me in the hall so the dogs don't get disturbed. Finally they were working with me so I felt a little better about that. Later that day when we got back from lunch I discovered the maid had cleaned the room even though I had asked for them not to. But I let it go. The next day we get back from the beach to find the maid leaving our room after cleaning it yet again. I mentioned we had asked for no service, she apologized and said her note said only after 3 pm, so the front desk didn't listen to my request the first time. Then, my mom discovered her bag of groceries was missing. Which had her applesauce she needs to take her meds with. So I called the front desk and told them the maid had taken the bag, and explained I was pretty upset given the fact all this could've been avoided if they had listened to ANY of our simple requests, yet not ONE of them have been met. Her response was guests often put the no service card on the door and then request service. Implying it was me, yet my mom witnessed me stating very plainly no service. While I was on the phone with her, my mom left to go track down the maid and her applesauce. Which had to be dug out of the garbage on the maid's cart. So my mom comes back and I tell the front desk my mom got her stuff back, and we hang up. I then get a phone call from the front desk, accusing my mom of lying about the grocery bag. Saying it never left the room. My mom doesn't lie, and I watched her walk in the room with it. So her response was then it was in the garbage in your room but it never left the room. The head house keeper helped my mom track down the bag and dug it out of the trash for her. I was bawling, and so hurt that we were being treated this way, this was my favorite place to stay, plus I was spending $700 of hard earned money there. She never apologized, no kindness. Nothing. The only thing she offered was to let us stay till 2pm on our last day. I told her I would like the name of who I can speak to get one nights rate taken off our bill considering every day they have ignored every one of our needs. She said I could speak to Valerie in the morning. When I called Valerie, I told her everything, and she also didn't have a single kind or understanding thing to say, her response was I spoke to the general manager and we will take $100 off of your bill. I am appreciative of that, but she didn't say a word about the accusation or any of it. Even when I told her I was crying yesterday. That it ruined so much of our vacation, and I was hoping for at least one night taken off our bill if not more. And when I went to check out Valerie had nothing to say, finally I said I think the worst part is feeling like no one cares about how bad this had made me or my mom feel. And her response? Hope you have a safe drive home. Not one person there has shown kindness or acted like they value our business. I thought this motel stands for customer service, that they appreciate and want our business. I was clearly wrong. And I am very hurt. I am the type of person that never returns items, doesn't ever send food back, I was raised to treat everyone with respect and I have worked customer service before. The fact that I am writing this review speaks a lot, for I have never been treated so badly by multiple staff in my life. I don't feel they made it right or took care of us. My hurt hurts. This is not the vacation I had hoped for

« Experience at Best Western Beachfront, Brookings, OR »

We have returned to this hotel for the last 3 years. The best part is the view of the ocean from every room. Additionally, it is clean, staff is attentive and prompt. Other services/amenities such as free wifi, heated pool and spa, pet friendly, array of breakfast items, including hot food, direct access to beach, vending in each building, close access to restaurants, harbor, etc.

    4
    « Great Location »

The views are amazing and the location is great. However, the rooms are very plain and the pillows/ bedding could use a little improvement. Breakfast is available and adequate - most of this worth the amazing views

« Virtually on the beach »

We had a premium view beach front king room. It was virtually on the beach and the sea was roaring due stormy weather, which we wanted. staff was friendly and casual. Room was large with a sofa and a chair facing the water, bed was comfy. Beach is rocky and interesting. Good wifi. Breafast was included and was ok.. There is a restaurant very near by but ratings were not that great... We drive to town (5 mins) to get alternatives. Overall a good experience and we will likely stay tomorrow on our way back home.

    « Beachfront Perfect »

The view, the staff, the room, everything was wonderful. The evening and morning views were so great. The room was very comfortable and clean. The elevator made lugging stuff much more convenient. Our dog was with us and there was a great dog area for him. The maid service was most helpful also.

    « A little bummed »

We have stayed here many times and always appreciate the location and the staff. This time was a bit different of an experience. We had multiple issues with smoking in our area, with cigarette smoking both outside our balcony and also outside our entry door. Apparently the smoking areas are on the parking lot side outside the entry doors, as there are ashtrays on the walls. I could not go in or out of my room without walking through a cloud of smoke, when we opened our balcony door people were smoking on the lawn area- maybe it was unique to the people lodging at this time, however it definitely impacted our enjoyment of being at the ocean and having our doors open to enjoy the ocean. If there is not a clearly designated smoking area I certainly cannot fault the people that smoke.

« Best spot in Brookings »

We were on a road trip and got this recommendation from my brother who travels to Southern Oregon frequently on business. He said it is the best place to stay in either Brookings or Crescent City. It is a very nice spot, right on the ocean. A bit pricey, but big rooms and a good breakfast.

    5
    « Absolutely wonderful! »

My husband and I were totally satisfied with our accommodations. The setting right on the beach was gorgeous and the restaurant next door recommended by the staff offer excellent seafood. The breakfast was good even though we would have preferred healthier choices i.e. non-fat, plain yogurt, vegetables and vegetable juice (tomatoes, fresh spinach, kale) in addition to the usual eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage, sweetened yogurt, fruits and fruit juice. We had a nice view of the ocean from our room, bed, and balcony. Very nice stay. Breakfast was available. Not restaurant quality of course, but sufficient to get the morning started. « Ocean view, awful bed. »

Staff was very pleasant and gave us recommendations for places to eat in the area. The room was dated, but very clean. We had a king jacuzzi room, the jacuzzi seemed clean and was against an ocean view window, but we didn't use it. Another sliding door to a small balcony facing the ocean, truly a beautiful view and just steps from the beach. Waves nice to sleep to, view nice to wake up to. Unfortunately the bed was really uncomfortable, but even worse, the pillows! They fell completely flat. We could've dealt with the mattress, but the pillows made for a terrible night sleep. FYI - No Elevator.

    « Great Beachfront Respite »

Visited Brookings, Oregon for the first time with family this year and found the town very appealing. This hotel has large rooms that all face the beach right out the sliding doors to a deck you can relax on. This is an ocean washed pebbly beach with large driftwood laying about. The room rate includes a great full breakfast buffet and juice/coffee/tea bar. Also a nice slightly heated swimming pool to enjoy after a full day of golfing, fishing, or sightseeing. Very accommodating reception folks and convenient place to stay in the harbor of this great town. Stayed two nights.

    « Beautiful Ocean View »

We were told by the desk clerk we had a best room at the hotel...room 230. Our room was beautiful....king size bed facing the sliding glass doors which opened onto a balcony and a beautiful ocean view. The room had a couch, chair, ottoman, desk and chair. The beach isn't that pretty...lots of driftwood, rocks and stones but beautiful to listen to. We left our sliding glass doors open all night so we could hear the waves....beautiful sunset viewing too. The room had all the amenities you could want including a complimentary breakfast. The hotel recommended the restaurant right across the street which you can walk to. The food was good and there was seating with an ocean view. We loved this hotel and would definitely return.

    5
« Best on the Ocean »

Fabulous location, friendly staff, clean and attractive rooms. If you want to hear the ocean roar, go there. It isn't fancy, but it has everything you need for a beach stay. And the weather was even great while I was there last time, which doesn't always happen.

    5
    « First Visit »

I Prefer the North Building (Has elevator) and is only 50 Ft. from surf line with great views---Surf sound is predominant--- Room 330 is excellent---Quiet---very comfortable---This property is often booked up in advance---get reservations---Breakfast is like all B/W Plus properties----Parking is in issue if you arrive late in PM--- Beach access is by path between North Building and next older building----Check Trip Advisor for Restaurant ratings in town---Some restaurants haven't a clue about what makes good clam chowder here---some smaller restaurants can be a delight---others can be a disaster- Some serve very small portions but charge for large portions--Does any restaurant in Brookings know how to make coleslaw???-there is only one really great fine dining venue in Brookings, OR. This is a very excellent Motel for quality, location, and consistent service. Brookings' restaurant industry needs to follow their example.

« Super nice, go now »

Every room has a great view. The staff is really nice. The waves were big at times so easy walk down to the water to watch. Lots of boats to watch because you have a harbor right next door. Pick days with sunshine. Balcony is small but enough room to sit on. There is a laundry room on site. Great place for kids and dogs. Breakfast was only adequate, nothing special. I would stay here again,

    « Perfect getaway spot »

We were there two weeks ago and cannot imagine staying anywhere else on future visits. Efficient staff, fresh coffee always on in the lobby. Right on the ocean. Complimentary breakfast. Nice comfy room. In room fridge, pets welcome, good walking on the beach or pavement. Reasonable rates especially now in the off season.

    « Best Western Beachfront Hotel/Brookings, OR »

Excellent in every respect. This hotel and its staff go out of their way to make sure each guest feels great and enjoys their stay. We stayed four days and having a pet friendly room is simply the best as we bring our little dog everywhere we go. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable and the staff was delightful.

    « Great hotel »

This hotel sits right on the beach front with all rooms directly facing the ocean with spectacular views. The rooms look like they have been recently updated and are very large, clean, and comfortable. A private balcony overlooking a sunset cannot be beat. The staff and service elevate the experience as they were all extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. This is a very well managed property. Cons: Swimming pool is in serious need of rehab. Although you shouldn't complain about a free breakfast, this one was sub-par compared to the other free breakfasts offered by competitors. Overall, a great experience.

« Nice Ocean Front Property »

This is a nice ocean front property with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The only complaint is the Best Western bed, which is way too hard for us. If you like sleeping on plywood, this place is perfect! We'll be back because of the location, we just limit our stay to 2 or 3 nights because of the beds.

    « Incredible »

Incredible...... The views, the rooms, the rate...... There is nothing but good things to say about this place. Walk the beach, leave your patio door open for the views and sounds, just sit back and enjoy it all. There is not one room that does not have an ocean front view and beach access within a 100+ feet of your room.

    5
« Not sure what this means »

Excellent location with a short walk to the beach with great views. I loved not walking down long stairs to get to the beach. Clean, modern, good bed, good internet, good TV. and a great breakfast. I loved the area of the hotel with walks along a boardwalk if you can't walk on the sand and beach. You can hear the waves from the rooms. Very dog friendly. Excellent staff that helped cheerfully.

    5
    « Room with a VIEW! »

There's not enough to say about this room! It was large and well appointed and looked out directly onto the beach. Slept with the door open and listened to the waves all night. Will definitely return.

    5
    « A very nice weekend »

A very nice stay. The view from the room was wonderful for watching the high surf and rain. As it is right on the beach, we were able to zip out when the rain stopped or watch from the chairs on the patio or from inside when it was rainy. It is a large facility and seems to have everything a tourist might need and it is right by the marina and lots of restaurants and activities. I look forward to my next stay.

    3
« Great location right on the beach! »

I'm really undecided on how to rate this hotel. The location and view are fantastic! I could watch and hear the waves come crashing in and see the fishing boats from my room. The staff was very friendly and efficient. In fact, there was a mix-up with my reservations and they solved the problem quickly and efficiently. However, the room was on the small side and the bathroom felt very cramped. I don't recommend their breakfast -- my eggs were lukewarm, they had cheap paper-thin-sliced bacon that was under-cooked and the pastry wasn't very fresh. They could use a lesson on food service from the Best Western Plus in Eureka. The second morning I was there, I went to a restaurant for breakfast. I do recommend this hotel for it's location, which is right on the beach and for it's staff.

    4
    « nice »

Very nice place to stay with great views from room. Try to make reservations before going during the season, this place is popular and worth it. On the beach, open the sliding glass door and there it is, the beach, complete with great view of the sun setting.

    « wonderful location! »

This hotel is in a perfect location, right on the beach. You can listen to the sound of the waves while you sleep, take a walk and watch the sunset. First time on the Oregon coast and this was such a treat, I had no idea this hotel would be so nice when I booked it online. I will return again for SURE.

« beautiful coastline, room is on the beach, dog-friendly »

My sister and her husband have been coming here for 20 years. I now know why. The BW rooms all face their private beach - just walk out the door and you are on the sand. We kept our sliding door open at night to hear the waves crashing and smell the fresh salt air. This is the most dog-friendly hotel we've stayed in - from pick-up bags on the way to the beach to the warm welcome received in the lobby. Great breakfast too.

The hotel is an excellent value. Our priority was a quiet room with a great view and they delivered. Our stay was very quiet and peaceful. The grounds are well kept and tidy all over. We were very impressed with the clean, relaxing atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. Great overall stay.

« Best Hotel in area »

The hotel is beachfront with a nice span of beach for walking, great views from rooms, comfortable beds. Convenient restaurant across the street with nice selection of meals for "Seniors". Although we didn't use it, there was an outdoor pool and spa.
