Best Western Hotel Bremen City

One of the very few hotels where we can honestly say we would NEVER return...........its located in a very unwelcoming area, its very dated and unwelcoming - it didn't offer any evening food and we had to venture outside to find something to eat.........its only redeeming feature - and that wasn't enough to change our overall feelings - was the breakfast

The hotel is currently undergoing renovation work so the reception is a tiny desk in a cubbyhole with painter's fleece on the floors and a bunch of electrical wires snaking over the floor. Nor is the location the nicest in Bremen - close enough to the main station but dreary and feels a bit dodgy at night tbh. BUT: the staff were all so lovely, the breakfast (€16/pp) was beyond what we expected (excellent selection of warm and cold, refilled quickly, even gummibears!) and the family rooms are really excellent value for money. Tonnes of space, very quiet, separate bedroom, kitchen, very clean. No parking on site but public multistorey car park just across the street and hotel guests get a discount. Wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

We had to check in at 15:00, 2 rooms booked, everything was payed in advance. Arriving by 15:00 they tell us that one room is ready and the other will take 30 minutes, so I went up 30 mins later and had to wait another 20 minutes, just because the supervisor saw me waiting in the hall,otherwise it would have taken longer. At the reception they just said sorry and they couldn't even explain because the english level was not to keep a conversation, only one lady could speak English well, but she couldn't be there during all my stay, ofc. We stayed 3 days for business, and because they didnt give me the room at the time I lost one meeting. Also, 2 days after the stay they came to clean the room and took one cigarette from my pack that was on the table, not difficult to remember when I had 3 left and after arriving to the room I had 2 left. The curtains had some old spots like from the last century. The rooms are super small, feels like in a cave, but ok, I'm not a princess. The cleaning is ok, I asked for one more towel because they provide 2, and never got it. The breakfast buffet is 15€ but very few options, so I recommend to cross the street and have an amazing breakfast in the bakery for 15€ per 2.

Nice staff. Otherwise the whole hotel need a BIG renovation! Looked like they havent touched the surface since the house were build. I recommend to spend a little bit more money and get another hotel if possible!

I had been confused by the mixed reviews here for this hotel but then we stayed with our family of 5 in both a business apartment and an economy single and it really was a tale of two hotels. The business apartment is great. Such good value, spacious, well equipped and in a much nicer and quieter part of the building than our single room. It was like a different hotel. The economy single had a comfortable bed, great curtains and I liked working at the desk. However, it was very loud with window open (and stuffy and hot with it shut), there was zero soap or anything to clean my hands, the tea and coffee making facilities included no coffee and the shower had hairs on the walls and the drain so clogged with hair it didnt drain. I couldn't use it as so gross. They did service every day but didn't clean anything. There was a 20 euro price difference between the rooms so def upgrade if you stay here. The parking was annoying. We stayed two nights leaving for a day trip in the middle. We used the recommended car park and got the discount ticket for it. However, instead of 9 euros a day, it tried to charge us 18 for the first day (so we just paid the regular 13 euros) and the final day, it only discounted to 10. The staff were indifferent and not helpful.

Visited the hotel in June 2022. First the good things: the location is very convenient to reach the train station and city center. The beds are confortable, the room is clean, internet is stable and fast. The filter coffee at breakfast is really really great. The bad things: If you have a room facing the street forget about sleeping. I am not very sensitive, but this area is frequented by a lot of young folks who like to party all night long. The hotel MUST invest in better windows. The service is so so. I asked to refill my handkerchiefs and shower gel, they just filled the handkerchiefs. If you are aged 60+, you are possibly fine with the design of the interior. Do not worry about the missing air condition, it rarely gets that hot in Bremen. I will definitely not come again, there are plenty of options in Bremen in this price range.

So bad. Worst Western Hotel. Beds are hard and uncomfortable. Service so non existent. Cleaning every 3 day? Due to covid? More like saving money. A frige non working in the room. Try to get something from the machine in the reception? Not working. So terrible bad. If you come to Bremen. Choose another hotel.

5 min walk to the train station, and 10 min walk to the city centre. Slightly noisy at night on Fri/ Sat but decent sized rooms with facilities. Shower was very good. No early check in sadly. Would recommend this hotel for a quick hassle free visit to Bremen

Very well situated hotel (500m from main trainstation / 500m from main historical square). Decor typical of 3* hotel (not for design lovers...) Had a perfectly clean single room (with a desk). Unfortunately no air-conditioning which turns out to be problematic as it is now very hot every summer in Bremen and they only provide thick blankets / noisy surroundings. Did not try breakfast. Overall good value for money

very close to the main station and the old city. very suitable for families and it is available in normal hotel rooms as well as apartments. safe area and worth visiting. I have been there several times with friends and family including chidren

They offer big room and with available furniture. The location is only 3 mins from center station. 1 min to old town. Convenient and high class choice. Worthy to spend your budget. A good choice in Bremen.

This is really a good hotel, we got a family apartment that was spacious, clean and quite. Everything perfect then, except one (small) detail, that is the bad smell coming from the shower. Nothing deadly, but a little bit annoying.

I stayed at Best Western Hotel Bremen City 23-25 July 2019 for a business trip. Ups of the Hotel!!! At the breakfast they have quite enough space for the guests and everything was fresh and kept fresh. They even drew a cute face on the egg which makes the day :) The guy at the room service fullfill my demand right away. People at the reception were very polite and helpful. Downs of the Hotel!!! It was too hot 36-40 C during our stay (very surprising for Bremen) and there was no air condition in the room. My room was looking at the inner gap of the hotel and guests kept speaking loud during night (Asian guest don't know which country) and all the noise was in my room. This made me hard to fall asleep. Other than that it was OK.

We stayed here in June 2019. Staff were very helpful. Check in and out was easy. Room was very comfortable and the pillows were AMAZING. Breakfast was good and the location is great for the city. Parking was secure.

I was blown away by the size of the apartment I was given. Huge, comfy and very clean. Great big bathroom with bathtub and well as a living area and kitchenette and a massive bedroom. Bright and airy and very clean. Great place to stay.

This is a very good hotel perfectly placed, close to the train station and close to city center ( about 7 minutes walk). The breakfast was much better than I thought with great variety and "eat all you can". The rooms are clean, fairly large, there is a fridge you can use and some pillows you can choose from... There isn't anything important to fault so for the asking price this is a great, great option to consider. Enjoy !

Location is very good, walking distance from main train station as well as to the old city center. Easy and quick reach also from Airport, by taxi. Lighty and spacious room, flawless wi-fi, nice and attentive staff. In the morning a very nice breakfast let you start the day in the best way. Anytime soon again.

Hotel is situated near the train station and shopping area so that is a good thing. However when the evening started it became very clear that it is best to stay in your room since the area where the hotel is situated does not feel safe at all. shady figures roaming the street and approaching you offering things you don't want. I am a huge fan of BW but i will not book this specific hotel anymore.

I enjoyed staying at this BW hotel in Bremen. Walking along the sidewalk, its entrance is easy to miss. The reception desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I had requested a room on the first level close to the elevator, and received it. Room: One level up with the elevator, down the hall, up 5 steps, and there was my guest room for the next three nights. The window which opened faced the back of the hotel-quiet. The bed was a single but adequate with night table and light, and extra socket-for charging ones communication devices. A comfortable chair doubled as desk chair for working area sockets and usb ports. A mini bar and safety deposit ---can't remember if there. A closet to hang up clothes. Of course a television and phone was in the room. Bathroom: My bathroom space was small. But while showering you didn't feel cramped. Breakfast: What can I say, YUMMY,,,,,,.. that alone would help me to decide to stay there again. The BW in North America offer a good breakfast, but I prefer the German style of breakfast items, so this buffet suited me just fine. Good choices of beverages, cereals and yogurts, breads, fruit, some vegetables, cheeses and of course deli meats. Plus a few hot dishes eg. Eggs, bacon/sausage, fried potatoes etc. The dining room is very large with 1/3 of the space as you enter and the other 2/3 a few steps up, where you will find all the food items. I usually sat in the upper level, one row away from the bank of windows. The hotel staff does not make you feel that you had to leave the breakfast area quickly, just sit back and enjoy your yummy breakfast. While there, I recognized one of the staff, a woman who used to work at Hotel Hanseat (now the Hotel EdelWeiss) and she remembered me, we had a nice chat. Disappointed: Bathroom: The space around the toilet could have been a little larger. Again, no facecloths are provided.

I visited Bremen with my fiancée for a short Christmas break. The hotel was a cheap option at around £60 per night so I wasn't expecting the Ritz but was pleasantly surprised and would recommend to anyone who's just after a short stay and somewhere to use as a base while exploring the city. The receptionist was friendly and helpful on arrival and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. The best part was that there was no noise from outside, although the cleaners in the mornings made a fair racket banging around as they tidied rooms. Not a deal breaker though! Breakfast was a great selection every day of cooked sausage, bacon and eggs along with a full continental buffet and cereal. Coffee was on all tables and a coffee machine was available also. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant though so breakfast is the only meal available so near in mind you'll have to eat out but there's plenty restaurants and food outlets within yards of the front door. We parked in the CONTI-PARK hillmanstrasse multi-storey car park. It's a 60 second walk from there to the hotel and is secured with metal shutter doors so the car's safe. Although the car park says it's 13 Euros per 24 hours, the hotel receptionist will give you a discount ticket whenever you need it, reducing the total to 8 Euros per 24 hours. The hotel itself has no parking so this is the best option. Overall, I'd recommend staying here. Although if you're looking for a classy hotel with all the trimmings, perhaps somewhere else would be better. But for a bed, breakfast and friendly service, it can't rally be faulted.

the hotel is just across the main railway station where you can connect to all regional and local trains and buses if using public transport. it's also nearby restaurants and 20 minutes walk to the city center where there are more shopping and food establishments. for cultural sightseeing, the sites are also average walking distance. you can borrow different amenities like flat iron which they immediately lent to me. breakfast is your normal cold and hot choices. though the bacon that time, though it looked tender , but it tasted so ,, so salty, i never got to eat it . i hope it was only on that day.i liked how they prepared a thermos of coffee on the table. being a coffee drinker , it's something special for people like me. being a month before Christmas, the restaurant was decorated like the Christmas markets outside. it sets you in the mood for the German tradition.

This hotel was a very well-situated one, being a very short walk to the railway station, and a relatively short one to all the attractions we wanted to see in this captivating historical town. The room was fine and the breakfast was good indeed. We had no complaints about this hotel but if it had any shortcomings, they might have been by way of a certain impersonability on the part of most of the staff. They carried out their duties adequately though did not quite exude the kind of welcoming warmth that one finds in good hotels more often than not.

I visited Bremen the first time in 2002 and I stayed in this hotel. Nice building with old forniture but with many signs of decadence. Now the room are renoved, as well as somoe of th common areas and the hotel is vry good. The quality of the rooms and of the sevice improved a lot and the stay is more enjoyable. very often there are special offers and packages at convenient prices. I recommend it

The hotel needs to be updated. In our room there was a window that couldn't be locked correct. That gave a long noisy and interrupted night. Finding your way around in the hotel was a challenge too. We had to change lift to arrive at our room on 2nd floor. The beds where very used and really not comfortable anymore. A refurbishment of the hotel could really help. On top of it all - the reception staff forgot to smile and be helpful - maybe they where “tired” too, like the hotel itself. The breakfast was good, so my score is keeping it a little away from “Terrible”.

Lovely hotel. Good location. Helpful staff. The only down fall is the noises drunk folks make from the evening to 5am. If your room is facing the restaurants, McDonald's then you're in for a treat. You will hear drunk people talk loud all night. Nothing the hotel can do, I asked if I could change room? No. I accept the noise the trams, passing vehicles make. But the drunk people - no way. I had to close my hotel room windows and I could still hear them. The hotel needs to invest in a better sound proof windows to stop the noise the drunk people make.

I have never stayed in a Best Western Hotel before and for some reason I had it in my head it was going to be one step up from a Travelodge. Well how wrong was I? This Hotel was perfect maybe because it had just undergone a refurbishment. Our room was lovely it had a bedroom area, separate hallway with bathroom leading off. In the bathroom there were soap machines for the shower & sink but as usual no hair conditioner, my pet hate! There was a hairdryer which I didn't use as I have given up on hotel hairdryers, (I take my own)they are never powerful enough or have a Nozzle to style your hair basically they just dry it. In the bedroom there was a floor fan in case it got too hot with the windows shut. I need to have a very dark room to sleep and I wasn't disappointed, it was dark & quite enough with the windows shut. Pillows are a very personal thing, I found the ones here very strange never encountered them before & don't want to again! There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but you could help yourself in the reception area by the lift. I have medication that needs to be kept cold there was a fridge in the room but we couldn't work out how to get it on, so gave up. We are both Gluten Free, Pescatarians and we had plenty to eat at breakfast, it was excellent they even gave us not just one type of GF bread but 5 plus GF oats! The buffet breakfast had fruit, cheese, cold meats, olives, tomatoes, gherkins, tea, coffee, juices etc., The only thing I didn't like was the milk they use in the coffee as it takes over the coffee with a distinctive taste but I know a lot of hotels use it:( The waitress was fantastic she got you anything you wanted, excellent service. On our last day we left our luggage in the secure holding room, went sightseeing then came back for it later, very useful. We parked our car park behind the station for 5e x 24hrs, just walk through the station and the hotel is across the road on the left, by doing this you avoid the city centre congestion charge fee. This hotel is situated within easy reach of all the tourist attractions, I would Highly recommend it. The only thing I would change would be the pillows but no Partner had no problem with them so different for everyone.

Good location, rooms are not big and bathrooms are very tiny. Don't travel any hot heat wave season as hotel doesn't have a/c. Rooms feels like a sauna. Breakfast is good many choices so that was good thing. Rooms are clean.

My room was a suite where I would be comfortable for extended period of time. They offer the best breakfast buffet, espresso machine available all day long free, electric shoe polish in the foyer. Parking is not free but available at a discount rate across the street. This hotel is located very close to train station.

It's located between the old town and the railway station on a quite busy road. The receptionists are really kind. The room is not that big, but it is well arranged; the bathroom has a window. WiFi speed more than acceptable. The breakfast is the best that we have had in Germany so far, there's really everything you'd fancy. It has a big bicycle garage with a room dedicated to the bicycle washing.

Location is very good, opposite the main railway station and if attending an event at the Messe - easy walking distance to that and the main city square. The hotel and room has a dated feel, my own room had yellow walls... but I was one of the lucky ones with aircon as some colleagues had rooms without (and Bremen was 30c at the time). The breakfast room had no such aircon and was horrendously hot due to very nice large windows.... breakfast was good. Check in staff nice, but hotel was busy so was some wait on check in/out with only 2 staff on the front desk

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We requested an anti-allergic room and received a very nice room without carpet and fully clean (no dust!). We stayed in room 214. Everything we needed, we got. A spacious room, good beds, an even bigger bathroom with shower. Best of all: the location, right where you want to be to discover Bremen. Breakfast was included and was delicious! I had gluten-free, vegan options! We booked rather late and paid around €80/night, a little too much price/quality wise. We parked our car at the parking next to the hauptbahnhof for €4,50/day. Overall happy campers ??

We got the most horrible room of the hotel, the bed was in a funny shape because it usually hosts old disabled people? The bathroom was so small we could not even dry ourselves in there after taking the shower, the shower itself was so small that yu cpuld only stand up straight without any movement. The next day we got another room after our complaints, this room was fine!!! So make sure to ask for a proper room when you check in :-)

first the positive things. Check in ran well, staff are nice and the location is great. for a non-vegan breakfast is certainly very large and tasty - although it is not exactly fancy -. it was not good for me as a vegan. it was veggie Thursday and then there was only vegetables and two spreads in earnest. meanwhile there are so many veggie sausages, vegan cheese and so on, I wonder why it did not exist. veggie and vegan are so close together. that was still ok, that there was no vegan sausage but I asked for soy milk for my coffee. The answer was there is only lactose-free milk. Well, that's cow's milk, too. Not even selling soy milk today is unacceptable. And just for the price. I paid 156 euros for 2 nights. for a miserable single room. I will not be back.

We stayed 2 nights and the room was a suite with loads of room. It was clean and tidy with no clutter. Superb location for old town centre and windmill and very near railway station. Friendly Staff and superb breakfast! Definitely try the banana smoothie!!!

Stayed for 2 days for business visit to Bremen and chose this because it was close to train station (500 m away). First time I stayed at <50 euro hotel but was surprised by service, bfast spread for the value. I paid 95 E for 2 night and surely recommend if traveling alone. Their free bfast cater to my need of eggitarian low carb diet. Only complain I have is that elevator did not work and shower area was super compact. Not recommended for well built adults especially the room I booked 12 sq m room, choose bigger rooms with equally big bathroom. Value for the price.

This very average mid range hotel comes at a budget price. Rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. The wifi signal is good and breakfast (included) is excellent. The location is very handy for trains and buses and I would choose to stay there again.

The room allocated was quite decent in size and facilities and was clean. About 5 minutes brisk walk to the platforms on the station so a useful location for an overnight stop. Friendly staff and no problems to report.

The hotel is located close to the city center and the tram stop. Easily reachable from the airport as well. The personnel is friendly. My room was very good. Breakfast buffet was perfect, with lots of fresh fruits as well. Only issue I see is that it might be rather noisy since the hotel is located near a busy street with lots of traffic. It took me a while before I could get to sleep due to motorcycles, trams, etc. Also I woke up very early in the morning due to the same reason.

The location of the hotel is good, close to station and old city. But the hotel needs repair, clean, simply furnished and small room, good and tasty breakfast, tasty coffee. Free WI-FI. I was hoping for more comfort

Okay option in Bremen and puts you within walking distance of both the train station and the center of the city. The room was more spartan than other Best Western hotels I've tried but it had a solid bed and a small TV. The bathroom was not charming but it was clean and had plenty of hot water. There are many simple dining options nearby but walk a little further and you'll have better restaurants. It's pretty much your average decent hotel option and at the price I was quite content.

This hotel is quite ok in a good location with friendly staff clean rooms albeit somewhat old fashioned furniture. WiFi doesn't disappoint with up to 80mbs down and 20Mbs upload. Breakfast is nice and they have a little of everything.

We stayed here from 12 September to 15 September. Perfect choice.It is very near to the FlixBus station where we alighted - just across the road .There were some roadworks going on at nite but when we closed the windows we are not able to hear the noise.As it was closed to Autumn the weather turns cold therefore we are able to sleep with windows closed. There are many Asian shops and restaurants close and next to it.However if you need to do self service laundry all you need to do is to go to the reception and pay 3 Euros and they will provide you with a card key and some washing powder and you could use the washer and dryer in the other service apartment building . The main train station is only few mins away from the hotel.As Bremen is a small city you could walk to most of the places by foot. Sanoor and also the main market place is also nearby. The room is also huge but the standing bath area is a little small .The breakfast selection is very good and we enjoyed ourselves each morning with the nice coffee provided .Water and coffee are also provided at the reception waiting area at certain time . To the airport you could take the tram from the stop which is 3 mins away from the hotel and it's only a 15 mins journey which cost lesser than a taxi. The front office staff are also very helpful and speaks good English . Would certainly choose this hotel again when we next visit Bremen .

Nice Hotel, No Restaurant or Bar available only Breakfast Room with a very nice and large Breakfast Buffet selection Rooms are simple furnished and well maintained and clean. Bathrooms are extremely small and if u are above average in body size its difficult to take a shower since the shower cabins are extremely small and with a large body size u might move the water tab handle and turn change the water temperature while turning around in the shower.

+ great location near city centre and railwaystation + good mattres + nice, big room + very clean + tasty breakfast + spacious bathroom - a little bit noisy (2nd floor) especially on monday morning - late check-out not possible (not even for an extra charge) - if some ingredient (like croisants) ran out at the breakfast, they did not make a refill

My wife and I spent 3 nights with a prepaid reservation. After arriving by FlexBus from Amsterdam, we had only a short walk down the tramline which was undergoing road repair. Check in was efficient with an English-speaking clerk and we were soon on the elevator to our 4th floor #414. The efficient bedroom featured 2 twins put together with 2 woodblock nightstands. A wardrobe to the side connected to a long counter for a desk with 2 cushioned chairs, then a refer, hot pot for coffee/tea and 2 bottles of spring water. Two more woodblocks were sited under the fixed wall flatscreen(cable with CNN and BBC). The adjoining bathroom with shower was fully outfitted and included a towel heater. The room was clean and serviced daily, no AC but had a pedestal fan, and good secured Wifi. The 1st floor's 6:30AM hot breakfast buffet was outstanding. We shopped at the Edeka supermarket near the station and walked the 1 km to the Centrum's Raadhuis area several times. This hotel was quiet and ideally situated for restaurants and walking access both from the train station and to the city's UNESCO sights.

Hotel itself was good After midnight they started construction work on the street below (probably coz silent tram traffic hours) Construction noise made this 3-stars, the hotel itself deserves better. They provided ear plugs in each room luckily. Plus and minus: + good service (incl. luggage storage room) + good breakfast + free wifi + clean room + cheap price (under 40eur incl.breakfast) - construction noise at night, for some time

Very kind and helpfully the young men in the front desk! Good badroom and comfort bed. Breakfast was oke not wow but is worth it with the price! The only problem is, outside the hotel they have a big construksion so they closed the street, instead of go straight we have to turn around!

the few good points: staff at front desk was friendly and helpfull walking distance to train station and city centre The bad stuff The room was very small, the pictures are misleading. The shower was built so a lot of water would leak into the rest of the bathroom. The wifi had some outages and when it was working it was just for basic thing and not even watching some youtube video's. The complementary bottle of water was empty when i arrived. The room wasn't cleaned even with the tag on my doorknob. The shower of the room nextdoor was loud enough to wake me up. The bed was in between 2 walls which isn't the best thing to sleep for someone tall like me

Very good location near to the station and the tram. Surrounded by food outlets of many kinds and very near to the centre. Comfortable room, varied breakfast with unlimited good coffee and the wi-fi worked well.

We stayed at these lovely hotel apartment and we find that rooms clean and well equipped Managment very good specially the top managment No Air-conditioning at room but weather lovely at BREMEN so you don't need it when you open the windows, only if you have kids you need to asked the managment to lock it

We have stayed at hundreds of hotels over the last few years. This ranks with the best of them. The positives: friendly and accommodating staff, clean property and room, good water pressure in sink and shower, good room lighting, comfortable bed, good linens, close to Hauptbahnhof and many restaurants, quiet room as long as you keep your windows shut otherwise you'll get the noise from the train station, large room and bathroom, breakfast that is unbelievably good with so many items to choose from you'll run out of appetite before you get to try everything, secure bicycle storage in attached parking garage. The only negative is the poor air conditioning. The hotel controls the a/c settings as far as temperature and fan speed remotely so you can not adjust anything in your room. We ended up opening the window for a while until we couldn't stand the noise any more from the train station. Recommend that you not stay here when it is warm outside. Not sure why these hotels don't put ceiling fans in the rooms if they want to limit use of their a/c. You'll get a good night's rest here when it's not hot outside.

We had an one night stopover here. The 'comfort' room was lovely, well appointed, clean and attractively laid out. For a 1 night stop it was great. The nearest secure car park was only a 3 minutes walk and the discount of €4 off the overnight price of €12 was generous. For a longer stay the road noise outside would have been too much - we were at the front of the hotel - but it died down about 11pm and only started about 6am (the trams stopped running) Plenty of places to eat nearby, or a short walk away is the riverfront with a wealth of restaurants to choose from. It's worth visiting the old town and walking around - but beware of pick-pockets! Breakfast was really good too!

This hotel is in the heart of Bremen which is good if you wish to be in the city,the rooms are clean with free Wi-Fi which is standard in hotels. Breakfast is 6.00-10.00am and is very good their is a good selection of foods to choose from. Their is no hotel parking but plenty of parking nearby which is sub-surdised by the hotel.

We only spent one night at this hotel en route to another destination, and we chose it purely based on its location. It's about a 5 minute walk to the altstadt and only a little farther to Schnoor. The hotel appears to be in an older building. It has discounted parking at a garage about a block away. The neighborhood itself was nothing special - it's essentially across the street from the Hauptbahnhof so it's very busy. There were lots of standard fast food options nearby. As for the hotel itself, we were pleasantly surprised when our room turned out to be a suite - really a small apartment with a mini-kitchen and separate sleeping and living spaces. The bathroom was spacious and seemed very newly remodeled. We would have definitely enjoyed spending more than the single night.

Rare case when hotel does not fail. We were looking for a suite or apartment to have separate room for toddler to sleep separately. We got perfect apartment with high rooms, about 3m. Well equipped kitchen, sofa, table, different chairs, bathroom with bath. Kitchen equipped with normal size fridge that is able to store bottles wine bottle height, while without deep freeze zone. Bath is toddler friendly. Apartment is very attractive and safe for small kid to walk around, family guys will understand what that advantage means. One easy to fix issue was smelly cupboard, don't know why, sure it is fixable while we did not care. Sofa for kids is not comfortable, good that we did not care because we used travel cot. Basic travel cot provided by the hotel. I would advise hotel to replace default cot mattress with something better. Breakfast is not strongest part of this hotel, I would say it is perfect 3 stars level or average 4 stars. We were fine with the breakfast due to luckily we found good coffee and were able to make few sandwiches, someone could complain if they want something delicate. Kids chairs available. Hotel location is perfect, not noisy, close to public transportation, old town and train station. We would visit this hotel apartments again. Recommended.

Very noisy, dark room, thanks to an outstanding view of a building wall in 2 m distance, trouble with the WiFi which worked only with frequent interruptions, and then stopped at all, I was happy to stay only two nights

The Best Western Hotel Bremen City is conveniently located in the city centre. The hotel staff was not the most cheerful and forthcoming, but helpful enough. The rooms are divided between the main hotelbuilding and the building next door, and the next door rooms are larger 'extended stay' rooms with a tea kitchen and a living room. The standard of the rooms are decent and the cleanliness was also good. The one warning for this hotel is the noise! The trams/trolleys out in the street keeps the beds shaking and the walls are thin enough to hear people breathing in the hallway. Bring earplugs.

Nothing special. It's ok for a cheap hotel, but not for these prices. Internet is not working properly, and the staff didn't care too much about our complaints. Rooms are quite OK, albeit small. I wouldn't return.

The sound isolation is very poor. Sounds from the neighboring bathrooms and especially from the hallway can be clearly heard. ( My neighbour was well educated as he washed his hands after using the toilet.) Am I too pretentious by expecting the WiFi to be good enough to run YouTube videos? Other than these, dust that can be found on many objects, even on the shelves which can cause minor discomfort to some. The pros would be the following: tv, fridge, water boiler, close to the city center and public transport, friendly staff. In my opinion it does not live up to it's price.

I spent 2 nights here with my boyfriend. The hotel is nice, tidy, comfortable and quite close to the city centre. Unfortunately no vegan options for breakfast with the exception of bread, jam and juice.

Nearto the transportation centre for trans, buses and trams. Pleasant check-in. No frills. Quite large room and bathroom. Everything within walking distance. Good sound protection. No qualms on recommending for a short city break.

I was for the first time in Bremen and in this hotel. It has very conveniant location nearby main railway station. It's very simple and quick to come from the airport by the tram number 6 and it's about 150 meters from the station. I got the apartment room in the building close to the hotel, which had dining room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Everything clean and in good condition It was non smoking, quiet apartment with safe, tea/coffee facilities, and, of course, with TV set and hair dryer. The breakfast was very good, with big choice of hot and cold meals, including smoked salmon, different cheeses, breads, pastries, fruits etc. etc. The staff is very kind and hellpful. The beautiful old town with the marvellous town hall, with huge cathedral and the famous Roland (the symbol of town's independence) is about 10 minutes walk, so is the walking area with big department stores and many other ones. I also enjoyed very much some smaller, picturesque quarters, like Viertel and Schnoor. I can propose the hotel Best Western City to everyone, who is coming to Bremen-

I had a nice spacious apartment room for a good price. Unfortunately the new (3-days) WiFi system didn't work so well. I trust this to be improved soon. The location is great as you are close to the tram, railway station and major squares with plenty of restaurants nearby.

We (family of 4) stayed in one of the apartments next door to the actual hotel and thought it was great. Short walk from the railway and tram stops and only a 5-10 minute walk in to town. Apartment room was very large, bedroom also a good size and nice bathroom. Not much of any kind of view from our room but didn't bother us. All the staff we met were lovely, very polite and helpful and all spoke exceptional English. Breakfast was of a good standard, choice of meats, eggs, cheeses and also some Salmon along with cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc. We also noticed that they did gluten free bread if required. It has to be said that there were a few street drinkers and beggars around the street the hotel is situated on but it's kind of normal in any city around the main station and we never felt harassed or intimidated by them. All in all we thought it was a great hotel, we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Me and my family, we spent just one night at BW in Bremen after visiting some amusement parks in Germany, as our flight home was in the morning only. The hotel was truly amazing! Actually, we stayed in apartments located in a few steps from the main lobby. They have another entrance, are very spacious and functional, with a small kitchenette, tea/coffee facilities, an en suite bathroom and many other things that make you feel very welcome indeed. As to breakfast, it was as plentiful and rich as expected for a 4-star hotel. Moreover, I booked through the hotel's website in advance and the price was more than reasonable for this kind of experience. The location is very central, which has its downside, as no free parking is available. However, there is a multistorey parking almost in front of the hotel building where the guests enjoy some discounts. All in all very much recommended!

Chose this hotel for our three night stay in Bremen based on price and location.Situated 200 metres from the rail station and a few minutes walk into the centre.We had room 101 which was a good size with a comfortable bed.The room had a fridge and tea/coffee facility and hairdryer in bathroom.Plenty of hot water. Reception was quick and easy and staff were always helpful. Great breakfast in the morning, self service and linen changed daily. Only downside to our stay was the noise from the trams constantly passing made for a disruptive sleep.

I feared the worst when I checked into the hotel and was directed to another building. However, this was adjacent to the main hotel and my room turned out to be a mini apartment, complete with sitting room, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. The shower was nice and powerful, and the bed comfortable with decent pillows. As other correspondents have mentioned, there's no air conditioning but this was not a problem as the weather was not too hot during my stay. It was a bit noisy outside the hotel but this was not really surprising given its proximity to the station. Breakfast was back in the main building and was buffet style, with a good range of hot and cold items. The staff were helpful, and the rate including breakfast, was a very reasonable £46 per night. The location was very good - 5 minutes from Bremen Hauptbahnhof on foot and slighty further to the Altstadt.

We were upgraded to a comfort double which was adequate for our stay of 2 nights. The reception staff were excellent as were the breakfast staff. The breakfast had plenty of variety and although very busy, never seemed to run out of anything. This hotel is 200 meters from the railway station and is within walking distance to the old town. The only let downs, only very minor, were that there was no air conditioning, although we had a fan which was good enough and there was no safe

A low budget good hotel but do not have any air conditioning system so warm in the summer. The hotel supply a fan since the windows are against the street. The hotel has been developed in different stages so a bit messy to find the rooms but in general a good hotel with a good location

A fairly basic hotel without aircondition. But, friendly staff, an arrangement for parking nearby (€8 per day) and a very convenient location made it well worth a visit. Fortunately the night I spent there wasn't too hot. Still I kept the window open, which caused some noise from passing trams and late night partygoers. The room was otherwise good with a nice bed and a good bathroom. 5mins to the Central railway station and 10-15mins to the interesting Old City. Great breakfast.

Descent hotel very close to the train station, within walking distance to the old town. We picked the apartment , so we had to go out of the hotel and go to another building next to it. It was spacious one, clean, everything was ok. There was a kitchen but not equipped one. The only thing one can there do is tea/coffee. Breakfast served in a main building was very tasty and full of choices. Breakfast room was crowdy around 9AM so expect little waiting for a table. Extremely helpful staff! Public multilevel parking is 200m away. Hotel will give you a discount card - one day rate is reduced to 8 Euro.

I visit Bremen for my business needs. And look for apartments with kitchen facility which is very rare to find in Bremen. This hotel is at a very strategic location. 2-3 minutes walking distance from Central Station and bus station. Trams are easily accessible. Surrounded with many food outlets as well. Apartments are spacious with modern amenities. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Breakfast is also very good with multiple options. Wifi could be improved though

Excellent place to stay. I chosed service apartment. I had to shift 2 times from apt to apt due to lack of availability of rooms, however, i found both rooms were comfortable and according to the current hotel standard. Very good room service. Good yummy breakfast throughout my stay. I miss it !

We stayed 4 nights at the Best Western Bremen City. The Location is really good, just a few minutes' walk to the main station and about a 5-10 minute walk to the shops, old town etc. Our room was a good size and it was clean and comfortable. It had a TV, fridge and a reclining bed with remote control which was really good. The room didn't have a safe but valuables good be left at reception. The Wifi was strong and fast enough. There was no aircon in the room and it was quite hot so we had to have the windows open. Our room faced the main street and there was quite a bit of noise with people shouting in the early hours of the morning. We found that fans were available on request but while we were out one appeared in our room before we could ask so that was good and the fan helped. The bathroom had a really good, powerful shower. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of hot and cold food. The was also coffee at reception. The staff at the hotel were excellent, very helpful and friendly. It's easy to get to the hotel from the airport, we took tram 6 from outside the terminal and you can either get off at Herdentor or the main station. Considering the price and the location we would stay at the Best Western again.

Mixed feelings gave me this hotel. The start on Thursday at the reception when the room was not ready at 13.30 was clearly not guest friendly. And waiting one hour I had to go myself to stand up and ask if now a room was ready. And it was. Probably 30 minutes earlier. The style of the receptionist was to say the least not friendly. The elevator is extremely slow and when I got to room 515 I did not know where to go. The elevator went to floor 5 and 515 is on 6. So I asked another one and got room 104. Although we had booked as a group of 7 we all got totally different rooms, small big and bigger. Mine was small but good for the 3 nights staying there. Breakfast is perfect and lavish. The hotel is a 2 minutes walk from the centre and really has a good and cheap offer to park your car 50 meters away in a well secured parking garage. (only 8 euro 24 hours). All in all recommendable but staff at reception could be a bit more friendly. Good wi-fi.

Stayed here on a business trip found the room to poor, damp musty smell in the room breakfast selection is poor. Hotel gym is very good and also the pool but you have to pay to use the pool which is disappointing. I hand to leave early and although giving 48 hours notice they still charged me which I was annoyed about and for such a reson would not recommend business travelers to stay. Would rate it as 2* hotel.

Only stayed here one night during a quick city trip. We had arrived early in Bremen and were not leaving till the following night so the luggage storage was great for us, dropping our bags off in the morning before we checked in later and also leaving them there until the following evening after we'd checked out. Being a light sleeper I'd requested a room at the back so was disappointed to be given one facing the quite noisy street. However after a visit to reception we got an alternative room near the back which was much better. The room which was in the annex was big and nice. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection and plenty of seating. Coffee available in reception in the morning and on the first floor during the day. Very close to the station and a 10-15 min walk to the centre or a few stops on the tram. And with pleasant staff and good WiFi would definitely consider staying again if in Bremen.

Best Western hotels usually don't cause any surprises, positive or negative ones so if that's what you want when travelling, this is the chain for you. However, this time I was pleasantly surprised because instead of the standard double room I had booked, we got a spacious apartment in the annexe building.The apartment had a big living room, a bedroom, a kitchenette and a bedroom. Positives: excellent location, close both to the railway station and the city centre; a lot of space, very good breakfast, I appreciated the surprise of getting an apartment Negatives: wifi not very good, no plates or utensils in the kitchenette, the reception staff was quite indifferent (I wanted to print my boarding pass, the printer didn't work and the two ladies just didn't have time to fix the problem). Bremen is a great city easily reachable from the airport in a 15-minute tram ride!

Small but comfortable and clean room, friendly staff and a very good breakfast with lots of goodies to choose from. Centraly located right down the street from the railway station. Short walking distance to the city center and main tram/bus meeting point in front of the central station. Good free wifi.

Stayed for 1 night easy to find. We flew in to Bremen got the Tram no 6 just outside the airport exit on the right hand side, the tram stopped right near the train station and just down the road from the hotel. Clean, tidy, fairly quiet as we are used to complete silence but could cope with the tram noises in the street below. Very central. Would definitely stay again.

Our train was cancelled last minutes so me and my friend were stuck in Bremen for a night. DB payed for our stay at Best Western as compensation for the delay. We got nice rooms and free WIFI and breakfast.

Breakfast has been remarkable with a great selection of fruit/ cold and warm dishes. Not so remarkable the room which was small and the bed single (I have always got a double bed, even on single occupancy in my previous best western experiences). Price was reasonable ina December weekend so overall I had a comfortable stay here.

Good hotel, very close to the Hauptbanhof and close to Airport. Ideal position to start visiting the city. Good breakfast and friendly staff, all you can find in in a hotel while traveling without time to waste.

Good value for money. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the railway station 5 minutes, 10 – 15 to the center (town hall square). Single room just spacious enough, with very comfortable (rather soft) reclining bed. I just did not like my reading lamp touching my pillow. WI-Fi worked well. Only disadvantage of my room facing to the street was noisiness / squeaky noise from the tram. The breakfast was excellent starting from 6:00 (hot buffet starting at 6:30) wide, fresh choice. With great real coffee selection, also very extensive choice of the tee bags including Japanese green tea Sencha.

Friendly staff, spacious room, GREAT breakfast buffet. The buffet had two lines, one line has traditional German breakfast items (meats, cheeses, vegetables), and the second line has English breakfast items (eggs, fried sausages). The coffee is GREAT!!!

As usual with Best Western hotels, this hotel has a good quality-price ratio. The room was nice, not too big, but good for one person. The bed was excellent as was the cleanness of the room. The location of the hotel is very central in Bremen. Easy to reach from the airport by tram (< 15 minutes), easy to reach the shopping district (< 10 min walk) and easy to reach the university by tram (also < 15 minutes). The breakfast was very good, the main downside to my particular room was the noise coming from the street, including the tram... If you can live with that, this is one very good hotel.

This hotel is on a main street just a few minutes' walk from the main train station and close to the town centre, so very handy. The desk staff were friendly and helpful and the room itself was surprisingly big, which us always nice. The single bed was comfortable enough, despite a slight slope form one side to the other. It's not the newest hotel, but it was clean and I was also on the other side of the hotel from the main street, which made for a quiet evening. Breakfast was typical European mixed buffet; the food was good and there was plenty of it. I'd certainly be happy to stay here again.

We spent two nights in this hotel recently and enjoyed our stay. We travelled by taxi from the station as we were not sure where it was, but it was in fact only five minutes walk away. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are bright with comfortable beds and well-equipped bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of food on the buffet, including several varieties of fresh fruit. The hotel is in a safe area and within 10 minutes walk of the old Square.

The hotel is somehow basic but very confortable and well located for visiting downtown and any other purpose. Parking is no problem, plenty of public parking facilities around. Good restaurants (check the Benton's) are at walking reach.The staff and the services are OK, may just a fitness center would be desirable

We stayed overnight at this central, clean hotel. It is located very close to the Hauptbannhoff - and not only a short walk from the old city. We stayed two persons in a nice large room with good beds and free wifi. The breakfast buffet was fine and solid.
