This is a great hotel with excellent shuttle service to the MOA and airport. Close proximity to the Mall of America and restaurants. Wonderful breakfast and family friendly pool area. Love this hotel!

« Amazing front desk staff »

This was my 10th straight night on the road staying in different hotels, and I was blown away by how amazingly friendly and helpful the front desk staff was compared to anywhere else I had stayed on my trip - especially Veronica. The hotel was very modern and comfortable with good sized rooms. The shuttle to the mall was convenient and easy to access.

« Great place to stay »

Love staying at the Best Western Plus MOA when I have meetings in the cities or heading out of town and need to catch a plane for a fun destination. The staff at the hotel are so accommodating and friendly, it is appreciated! So much enjoy the Italian Restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and some wine to end the evening.

    « Suite Experience »

My husband and I, along with our granddaughter, stayed in the one of two suites at this hotel, last Saturday night. I made my reservation in October, and specifically asked to be in the suite not facing the pool. Because I'm a travel agent, I'm very particular about details, and called the hotel directly on Thursday to reconfirm. I was told, yes, all was good. Imagine my surprise when we were checked into the pool view suite. I called down, and was told," oh, you booked through the 800 number, and we're sold out - there's nothing we can do." ????Okay - note to all - make sure you are calling the hotel directly to make your reservations. We decided we could live with it. BIG mistake. The hotel doesn't close until 11pm - and there were boys in it until at least 11:30pm. The sofa bed, wasn't - it was springs with a piece of foam - so, between the screaming and noise in the pool, and the terrible - the worst - sofa bed we've ever been on - no one got much sleep. The room - we paid over $200 to have this superior suite - was well appointed, except town lamp shades and scrapes in the wall. Housekeeping did a good job, and it was clean. The two bright spots were the breakfast ladies - very attentive, and tried to keep things going with a hotel FULL of kids and groups, and the attached Italian Restaurant - very good food and service. I would NEVER pay extra for a suite at this hotel again, and except for the location to the mall, would hesitate to return - unless we were bringing kids or having a party.

    « MoA »

Very impressed with this hotel. The kids absolute loved the pool area. We enjoyed watching with them play and chatting with other guest. I liked the morning brunch and work out room. My wife liked having the use of a laundry room. The hotel is right across the street from the mall of America and super close to the airport. I also liked the restaurant in the hotel. We ordered a wood fired pizza and ate out by the pool. Well-done Best Western Plus Bloomington.

    « Comfortable & Friendly »

Accommodations are comfortable. Food in restaurant very good. Staff most helpful and friendly. Quick shuttle to MSP airport. Easy walk to the big/huge mall. Will return if in the area. Lots of free parking if driving.

    « Fireplace room »

Nice shopping week get away for early Christmas shopping. The room is large and nicely appointed. The Bathroom however has the industrial toilet and is there like they forgot to address it and the wall panels (same area) just looks incomplete. Housekeeping is average to below. Really don't put a room back together (just make the bed, empty trash and change towels) Empty disposable cups remained. I didn't address with the hotel as it wasn't a major issue.

« Great place to stay »

We stay here every time we go to Minneapolis! Clean, wonderful staff and great breakfast every time we are there. Easy walk to the Mall of America and many other attractions or stores in the area. To relax, return to the swimming pool!

« Excellent Amenities and Service »

I highly recommend this BW property not only because of the amenities, condition of the property and proximately to Mall of America, but also because of the extremely helpful and pleasant staff. The bed in my room was the most comfortable bed I've slept in this year....even more comfortable than my own bed.

    « very nice »

after having missed our connecting flight at the airport and being up for 22+ hours, this hotel was such a welcome relief for us. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. They have a huge pool (which we didn't use) too and it's close to the Mall of America. They also offer free breakfast which is actually good and a shuttle service to and from the airport. For us it was a haven after such long and exhausting travel.

    4
    « Mall of America »

Location is within walking distance of the mall (2 blocks). The shuttle to the international airport and return to the hotel is only a 10-15 minute ride. Hotel breakfast provides hot and cold choices with fruit and beverages available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel has an Italian restaurant and there are several restaurants within walking distance, as well as the many choices within the Mall of America. The atrium with pool and hot tub area also provides a large shallow water play area for small children and a game and large table area where families can have delivery foods or foods brought in . Rooms are large and comfortable with nice amenities, microwave and refrigerator.

« Second time staying here not so great. Oh the noise!!! »

Checked into hotel on a Thursday, was great, got early check in, room was decent, but around 10:30pm I realized how noisy this place was. It didn't seem so noisy the first time, maybe because I had a pool view room, because this time it was a poolside room, but it is noisy here. If your a light sleeper this hotel is not for you especially not on a weekend. It seems like this is the place people come to party. Friday night 11:30 and it was really noisy people were having parties. Here's the kicker though, 11:47pm and housekeeping decides it's a good time to vacuum the hallway outside of my room. I knew it was going to be a bit noisy but wow this is on another level. The pool was so super busy tonight too, it seems like this is the place to be if you just want to rent a room and leave your children unsupervised. I still have one more night here Saturday night, I don't think I can take another sleepless night. Also the room has cracks of light coming through the sliding door so might want to consider wearing sleeping mask.

    « They Always Deliver! »

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have had an exceptional experience each time. The rooms are clean and don't smell like room deoderizer, the beds are comfortable, the hotel food is good, the entire place is clean and appealing and what really is amazing is that everyone on I've met on the staff is friendly, efficient, and make you feel welcome in a very genuine way. Highly Recommend!

« Clean rooms, awesome pool, just a few set backs. »

Massive hotel even though it is only 2 stories. The staff were friendly, they just did not go out of their way for you. Acted like it was a chore to get us the free shuttle they so happily told us about upon check in. However, the shuttle driver was very friendly. He even opened the door for us and held my hand as I got in and out. The room was nice but stunk to high heavens of something they sprayed while they cleaned. Thankfully the window opened so we could air it out a little. The maid service did a very nice job. The room was very clean. The pool area was awesome! Breakfast was just OK. It was nothing special but it was free. WiFi disconnected a lot, but again it was free. We might stay here again if the price was right. If there was another hotel within $20 of it we would stay there.

« Excellent Hotel for flying »

We stayed at this hotel because we had a 5:15 am flight and we live 5 hours away from the airport. This hotel kept my vehicle for a week and also shuttled us to and from the airport. It was great for this and worth the money compared to spending money to park at the airport, leave my vehicle at the airport all week, and driving to the airport. This hotel was worth it.

    5
    « Great Breakfast »

The breakfast is always ready on time, hot and filled. They have a great variety. The hot tub is awesome. The rooms are clean and I just love the lotion. Great place to stay and close to the Mall of America. You can walk across or take the shuttle.

« Excellent Best Western Property »

This is not the Hyatt, but it could be. I worked for Hyatt, Marriot, and Hilton and I feel this Hotel competes very well. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels over the years and I look forward to returning to this hotel. The rooms are great, the staff is friendly and accommodating. I do not swim, but the huge pools and hot tub look to be very nice indeed. The restaurant is very good. I eat there upon every visit.

    « Nice family hotel »

Our room could have used an update of paint from general scratches on the wall, but it was otherwise perfect. We had a two queen room with a view of the pool on the 2nd floor, and it was generously sized. The fridge was large enough to fit everything we needed for our family of four for 2 nights (i.e. Water bottles, chocolate milk boxes, apples and a large bottle of juice). The beds were very comfortable and the linens were clean. (No gross comforters). The bathroom was a good size with a full bathtub and large sink area with a storage ledge under it. (And the door didn't hit the toilet - yay!) The pool area was clean and the large toddler play pool was much appreciated. Our kids had a lot of fun splashing around and aiming the water gun and using the slide. The free breakfast had many options and the hot sausage, eggs, waffles and French toast were good. The walk to the mall is very short and safe. The pedestrian bridge is very close and has an elevator so it was easy to take the kids in a stroller. Our family loved the aquarium at the mall, the tunnels especially. Tickets are a little pricey, but you can re-enter all day. We ended up going through again at night and our kids loved seeing everything they remembered from the morning.

« Great Hotel for Families »

There is a lot that this hotel offers families and the shopping is excellent. The attached restaurant has good food but is a little pricey however the service is excellent. The pool area is clean and the waterpark offers a lot of fun for children.

« This hotel is an awesome place to stay and very convenient to the airport and Mall of America »

We have stayed at this hotel before and will do so again as we have been very pleased with the staff, cleanliness of the rooms and the nice continental breakfast. There is also a restaurant attached that serves very delicious food and also a couple of others within walking distance. This hotel is very convenient to the airport and has a shuttle to get you there. You can even leave your car there if you need to. It is right across the street from Mall of America for a unique shopping, entertainment and eating experience. Would highly recommend this Best Western!!

« Quick couple of days away »

We decided with rather short notice to go on a road trip and selected the Mall of America as our destination. We found the best western plus was very close, had vacancies the nights we wanted to be there and free breakfast! We booked online and during checkin asked for a poolside room which we were given at no additional charge. Poolside rooms allow you to walk right out your patio doors to the indoor pool. The pool was at a comfortable temp and the jacuzzi was nice and hot! Room was very comfortable not fancy but more than comfortable enough for us. Despite having a poolside room we had no problem sleeping in. Free breakfast was awesome! I love waffles! They also had eggs, bacon or sausage as well as cereals, oatmeal, all kinds of toast and yogurt. Coffee was kind of on the weak side but not bad for free. All in all we had a great time and will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

    5
« Friendly staff and great hotel with family »

This hotel offers a pool cover and heated specially designed for kids, opens early and close late. The hotel offers free filter water, so if you are traveling with family is a good advantage not to worry often about buying bottle water. The staff is friendly and willing to offer you help. We really enjoy to stay there, definitely we recommend it.

    3
« No handicap rooms nearby available? »

Aside from given the farthest room away which I had to walk to considering my handicap and that I was "promised" a closer room which I did not receive. all went well. The shuttle service was good. The Mall of America is close by but the shuttle needs to be used as walking there is not comfotable

    5
    « Well worth it »

So I cant think of a complaint about the place, its very clean and professional. For the proximity to ease to the mall of America the price is very reasonable. Worth mentioning though Im here with a family and we have 5 women with us so we needed more towels. Jokingly i asked for 10 (1 for the hair, 1 for the body, 1 for for the face... duh?) Alex from the night crew i would totally fist bump if i could. He hooked us up with a literal garbage bag of extra towels for our two night stay. Yeah would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to plan a trip to the mall here.

    « Airport Stay »

Hotel was excellent and convenient. Travel into the city for the NFL was easy, one train. Could walk to the Mall of America. Shuttle service to the airport was quick and efficient, 15 mins or less to Terminal 1. Staff were very helpful with transportation questions. Breakfast was ample, room was extremely clean and wifi was very good. Some noise from planes arriving and departing but was too be expected since it does list itself as an airport hotel

« Very Poor Customer Service »

I am registered disabled officially by the United Kingdom, I booked a room And no one told me that the room would be so far from the reception, front desk, I travel every couple of months, and always stay in a hotel, that the rooms are near everything, When I went to the reception to complain, I encountered the front office manager, i think her name was Shauna and I think she was working with someone else, not sure what his position was, when I complained about the room, he just laughed at me and made a joke about it, I did not find his response appropriate, when the Front Office Manager came off the phone, she turns round and said, tha I'm in the room, that I don't have any right to complain, she said why I never requested a disability room, but I was not told when I booked the room, that the distance from the room to the reception would be so far, like the distance from terminal 3 of Heathrew Airport to the plane, 20 minutes,, not quite but the room was very far, the front office manager was aggressive , rude, and threatened to kick me out of the hotel, yes I did request a reduction on the hotel rate , but the room was uncomfortable for me, being so far away from me, this front office Manager is not suitable for the job, argumentative, threatening, I'm a paying guest, I have a right if I'm not happy with the room to make a complaint, I fealt she dealt with the whole situation completely unprofessional , and she has no idea how to deal with guests, she should of never allowed things to deteriate to the situation, On the other hand I did speak to the General Manager , Mr Michael Lewis, who is a great asset to the hotel, he is professional and balanced, and apologised, for his sake and the hotel, he should tell the front office manager to resign, or worse, even though he apologised to me , it was too late, his staff ruined my stay,

« Great stay, Park and Fly, Shawna Front desk staff FANTASTIC »

I stay at this hotel whenever I fly out of Minneapolis. The staff is great, and Shawna the front desk clerk always has a great smile and attitude. She will go out of her way to help with your needs. The pool area is well done, and the the rooms are well designed for comfort.

    « Good Stay! »

Great location to Airport. Staff very accommodating to requests for early check in and room change. Room comfortable and quiet. Only downside was restaurant very mediocre. Would definitely stay there again.

    4
« Great for kids! convenience to MOA »

Pool is nice and large with a separate shallow area for younger kids. Rooms are typical but clean. Staff was very attentive and helpful to get us adjoining rooms. Convenient walking distance to MOA. I would stay here again.

« Clean, Comfortable and Convenient »

While attending the Ryder Cup Golf matches at Hazeltine Golf Course this was a great location as it is within easy walking distance to the Mall of the Americas and various freeway access points. The rooms were spacious and very quite. The breakfast buffet was very good and presentations were always fresh and tables clean.

    4
    « Very nice hotel »

Good price, nice clean rooms and great pool area. Everyone was very helpful. The drivers are all about service. We took a shuttle to Mystic Lakes Casino and got back to the Mall drop off at 11:00pm. They picked us up no problem.

    4
« Solid option, close to Mall of America »

Stayed for 7 nights during the Ryder Cup. The hotel is reasonable value for money and good for a short stay. The front desk staff are universally friendly, the breakfast buffet ok, shuttle service excellent and onsite restaurant is ok and convenient. Rooms don't have safes but safety deposit system at front desk works well.

    3
    « Decent 3 night stay »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Bloomington for a 3 night stay during our visit to Mall of America. We had driven from Canada and arrived at the hotel roughly 2 hours to the stated check in time. We asked if we were able to check in and the friendly receptionist told us our room was ready and checked us in. Within 10 minutes we were in our room. The hotel only has 3 floors and we stayed on the second floor. They had 2 elevators but our room was located on the other side so the walk was quite a bit - not a big deal. Our room was located at one of the back entrances and we just used that door if we needed to. I suppose the layout wouldn't be great for anyone with mobility issues. Our room was standard. It was clean and had everything we needed. One of the downside, and it wasn't really that big of a deal was the shower head. The bathroom looked very updated but I think they should have changed the shower head. Hardly any water were coming out and it took forever to rinse yourself. Again, it's a minor issue. Location of the actual room wasn't bad. It's a little far off from the elevator like I mentioned but we had no problem using the stairs. We were on the second floor so no big deal. Plus our location was in a quiet area. Hardly heard any noise except for other guests that would walk by. Our stay also included free continental breakfast. Each morning a few items differed and you had choices between eggs, sausages, bacon, empanadas - theses changes each morning. You also receive a variety of breads, spreads, juices, water, tea, coffee. There's also a few options for cold cereal and oatmeal as well. There's also a small variety of fruits (apples, oranges and bananas). They also providea little grab bag for anyone on the go which includes a botted water and an apple, and you're free to add whatever else you would like - which I thought was pretty good! The breakfast room has seating area but the later you go, the busier it is. We typically went around 8 am and by the time we finished, the area is busy and the line up can get quite long. Our 6 year old daughter also used the pool facility. Because of the time that we went, the hotel wasn't very busy. A few children were playing around the pool, but was never crowded. She loved it and it's enough for little children. The hotel also offers free shuttle to the Mall, which we never used, but nice to know they have it in case you do require their services. Hotel location was good. It's right across from Mall of America. You can definitely walk there through a skybridge that goes through the Radisson Blu parking lot. It's roughly a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the mall. Overall this hotel was not bad. A little pricey for our stay however, we do realize it's at close proximity to the mall so we get why. Parking is free so that part is good! What we were told we owed is what we paid, no hidden charges or fees.

    « Great location »

Very pleasantly surprised. Did not expect this quality of a hotel from BW. Clean nicely appointed. Shuttle driver very knowledgable of the area and recommended the on site restaurant which was very good. I definitely would stay here again. Very close to the airport.

    4
« Great location and good sleep »

I stayed at Best Western Plus Bloomington for a work conference. Easy check-in with helpful staff. The attached restaurant was very good for a quick bite and it was within walking distance of Mall of America. Location is easy on and off for freeways and reasonably priced.

    5
« Close to the Mall of America... »

Great hotel... and great location... just across the street from the Mall of America. And only 3 miles from the airport. They have a shuttle bus that will take you to the Mall or to the airport. All of the staff that I encountered were very nice and very helpful. Redd Rosa... the Italian Bar and Grill that is attached to the hotel is also really good. I would highly recommend the Chicken Marsala. It was absolutely delicious. I was traveling on business.. and unfortunately was only able to stay at this hotel for one night. It is a wonderful place to spend more time. They have a nice indoor pool... and a hot tub. The complimentary breakfast has a lot of choices.

    4
« Easy Access to Mall of America »

Front Desk helpful with requests. Unable to meet some requests due to hotel being completely booked. Hotel has 24hour shuttle to/from airport and shuttle to Mall although the mall is an easy walk (approx 1/2 mi) in good weather Room was clean and comfortable and the bed comfortable enough. Didn't like the pillows because they were lumpy and didn't support the neck. Pool area is attractive and a fun environment for children. All in all a positive stay and would consider using again.

    5
    « Super early breakfast!!! »

REALLY appreciated the super early breakfast bag they had ready for everyone with a very early flight!!!! Hands down choice for any stay with an early flight! Staff was very helpful in relocating our room, as well.

    5
    « Very obliging »

We turned up as early as our plans had changed but no problem, they let us check in very early. Clean and tidy and polite staff. Very handy for Mall of America and the airport. Breakfast was pretty in though eggs could have done with some flavour. I'd stay here again without any problem

« Best hotel in the Twin Cities »

This has been the best hotel I have visited in the Twin Cities. The hotel staff was very friendly the rooms were very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The only few little things were that I read on the website that you are able to order room service but there was no menu or information on how to do this in the room so we just ordered Green Mill instead. Also the rooms were a bit pricey for a Sunday night with nothing going on in the area but it was worth it overall great hotel.

    3
    « Decent »

Had 2 rooms for our family. Stayed 5 nights Been here before a few years back and liked the close location to mall of America The breakfast is decent and goes till 10 am They have the best apples I've ever had available all day long My problem was they only ever cleaned one of our rooms and we had to call numerous times for our second room to be cleaned which it never was We had them being clean towels and night and after asking a few times had them come back to at least take all the wet towels and garbage away That was a real annoyance for us. And a major fail on behalf of the housekeeping.

    4
    « Great Location »

We were travelling through and stayed one night. We found the location good for access to the M of A as well as getting back on the road in the morning. Check-in/out wad very easy. Our room was good, clean and all amenities provided. This is a large hotel so the walj to the breakfast area gave us a little exercise. We found the breakfast to be standard with a large sitting area. Although we didn't use it, the pool area is nice and would be great for those with children. The hotel provids a mall shuttle although it is an easy walk down the street and over the overpass.

    5
« Great place to stay while at the MOA »

Comfortable beds, great breakfast, helpful staff - at check in & the complimentary shuttle to the mall drivers. The pool & hot tub are wonderful and this is the only place we stay when going to the mall with or without the kids.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

Best Western Bloomington is a beautiful hotel with many amenties. The indoor swimming pool is especially nice with a water toys/play area for children and families. The breakfast is superb. This hotel is close to Mall of America and easy access to highways to most any other site to visit.

    « Our Favorite Hotel! »

My family and I have stayed at this hotel three different times and each time we have loved it! Love the rooms, service, pool area, location, and the breakfast :) we will for sure be returning every trip to the cities!

    5
    « Shopping spree »

Very nice hotel! Just few minutes walk to Mall of America, breakfast was good but the dining area was too small compared to the size of the hotel. The shuttle service was always available and ready to drive you anywhere you liked, the drivers were great especially one of them (don´t remember the name). There was one thing I disliked, it was the bed, it was way to soft! Everything else was good.

    5
    « Perfect Location »

Great location! The Mall of America is directly across the street. St Paul / Minneapolis area are a half hour drive away. (Even though we didn't use it,the train station is walking distant away from the hotel. It is located within The Mall of America) Hotel is very family friendly. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Nice size indoor pool with hot tub and splash pad for small children. We stayed in a room with a pool view. It was a great location for us. After a long day of touring the area and shopping it was nice to relax near the pool. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Numerous hot and cold items to choose from. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again.

    5
« Great Place, Convenient Location »

The hotel is on the backside of the Mall Of America - you could easily walk to it in under 5 minutes. The hotel was clean, quiet - there were a lot of children and we were in an upper poolside room - you barely knew others were staying there! The pool area is big and the zero depth is fantastic for kids. Overall, a great stay!

    5
    « Great Place »

I'm happy we found this place. Airport shuttle, a short walk to the Mall of America and a clean affordable room. Friendly Staff and a free breakfast and WiFi. I'll come back next time I'm in Minneapolis!

« Excellent pool area for small children »

If you are traveling with small children (age 5 & under) this is a great place to stay if they enjoy swimming pools. The hotel has a separate shallow pool that our granddaughter (age 3) thoroughly enjoyed. It has a small slide, buckets that drop, and a waterfall. She was able to play and not have to be held or constantly attended to by an adult. Put on a flotation device and enjoy!!

    5
« Excellent hotel and location »

Would definitely stay at this hotel again! Not only was the staff friendly, hotel as a whole was clean and nicely decorated, room was clean, beds were comfortable, a good breakfast, and reasonaly priced, but it was across the street from the Mall of America, close to the light rail which we took to the Vikings game and close to the parking and bus to the State Fair!! All around a very good experience! Highly recommend!

    5
    « Worth the trip »

The staff at the Best Western is wonderful. My check in was the best experience ever, the staff was quick, efficient and just generous in welcoming me to the hotel. The breakfast was what I expected, great! Fresh Coffee in the Lobby! Clean breakfast area, very clean hallways and I enjoyed a quiet night's rest. I love this hotel and will stay there in the future.

Pros: Hotel staff cheerful and helpful. Room comfortable and clean. Airport Shuttle very convenient. Easy to walk to Mall of America. Great pool area if you have children. Con: No tea, only coffee in room.

    « Minnesota Nice »

My daughter and I stayed here 3 nights while taking my grandson to school. The front desk, wait staff, and room cleaner (clean fairy) and shuttle drivers were wonderful, helpful and proactive. One night I was coming back from the MoA alone and couldn't get into the van. Other times I didn't have a problem because the first step was lower. I took a cab and when I got back the van driver and night manager insisted I be paid back for the ride and the tip!!! Unheard of, I could not believe it. It may not be the The Ritz but it was more than adequate and Minnesota Nice from start to finish??

    « Good place »

I stayed here about a year ago on a work trip and saved it on my TripAdvisor app. It is a good price hotel and is right next to the Mall of America. It is a 1 minute drive away from the hotel. I always Park in the Macy's parking lot because it's the easiest and fastest way to get into the mall. The hotel is pretty clean that's why I like staying here. The staff is always nice as well. I did not have any kids with me so I should have picked a room away from the pool cuz there's a lot of screaming children from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. I will probably be back here again for another work trip in the future.

    « Nice stay »

We stayed a single night in an oversize double queen room which has two queen beds and a pull out couch. Could sleep 4-5 comfortably. Hotel is clean and has some nicer granite upgrades and amenities. Free hot breakfast with a lot of choice although the coffee was tasteless. Our room faced a lawn area while other rooms face the parking lot. Fridge and microwave and keurig in the room. Quiet. Did not use the pool. Right next to the Mall of America. Easy freeway access and close to the airport with free parking. I think this hotel is perfectly nice for visiting the mall or staying near the airport but cost $30-50 more than I would expect to pay without a downtown location and some luxury.

« Exactly what we were looking for »

We stayed at this hotel for an evening while visiting the Mall of America which is about a 10 minute walk across the street. We called the hotel upon our arrival at the airport and they promptly sent a shuttle, that took 5 minutes or so to get us to the hotel. Check in was both quick and cheerful. We had an interior facing room which opened on to the pool deck, this would have been great if the children were with us. The room was clean and quiet, the wifi was more than adequate. We fund the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The shuttle dropped us off at an LRT station for our trip downtown the next day. Overall we were impressed with this hotel.

    « MOA Vacation2016 »

Decent hotel, great check-in staff. Poor air movement in the room. A/C showed to be blowing at 65 degrees, but the room was stagnant with no air movement and it was humid. The pool was nice, my kids enjoyed being able to go from the room, out off the patio to the pool area. Very convenient for me too! I would recommend with the caveat of knowing the air issues in the room (I stayed in the month of August). They also took care for a security issue within a few hours...so that was great!

« Comfortable stay but no wifi all week »

I stayed here as I was attending a week's conference at my Head office which was near. The staff were pleasant and helpful and also the shuttle service was good. The breakfast was OK and the tea and coffee was good. The only think that was not great was the fact there was no wifi in my room. When I first asked about it, they told me the area where my room was had an issue, but the wifi worked elsewhere. They were going to get somebody to fix it the next day. Well, the next day became the next day and so, which meant I did not have wifi all week in my room. I require wifi in my room as I travalled from England and I need to contact our offices from 5am in the morning due to the time difference.

« The most comfortable beds of all time! »

We loved our stay here, and especially loved how comfortable the pillow top mattresses were! We loved how nice the staff was, and the biggest breakfast dining area we have ever seen at a hotel that offers free breakfasts. The pool area was very family orientated, and we wished we had our grandchildren with us! We enjoyed the hot tub too!

    « Great hotel ;) »

Vacation 2016!!!! It was a compete success thanks to this hotel! The entire staff was very helpful..and always pleasant and polite. Our rooms were cleaned daily and we had no worries about any items being removed. The only problem was continuously having to enter the wifi username and password because it'll always bump us out of it. However there is also an indoor pool which sadly we didn't get to enjoy nor the breakfast seeing that we were constantly on the move. The hotel is a plus if you plan to visit mall of America. The hotel shuttle is also a plus even though the mall is a short walk from the hotel. Loved it and definitely plan to return. :D

« Across the Street from Mall of America »

The hotel is across the street from the Mall of America. Short walk about 5 mins. There is a sidewalk and a bridge to cross over the street. There is two restaurants which are Ihop and Chevy's. Better choices at the mall. The hotel is clean and the staff were very polite and friendly. We are not big breakfast people but we did enjoy some coffee, juice and toast. They had many choices of hot and cold items. Eggs, sausage, bagels, breads, cereals and make your own waffles. We didn't use the pool but it was indoor and had several slides for the kids. Check the hotels website under specials to see if they have any. We used our AAA discount for a better rate.

« Loved the Hotel, can't trust room service. »

I liked the hotel very much but I accidentally left my dress shoes there and called 2 hr after checkout to tell them I left my shoes. Room service was already done for day and went home. Front desk wouldn't even look in lost and found for me. Left message for room service and they never called me back. Basically, they swiped my shoes and pretended they never saw them.

« Nice location next to Mall of America »

Nice location next to Mall of America, actually walking distance to Mall, train. We checked in on Monday and never got back in the van until we left on Friday. Breakfast is included, just average, nothing special. Has your typical waffle maker, some egg beaters, bacon or sausage, toast or cereal. Rooms are nice but average. Staff is friendly. There is large indoor pool and play area that families love with many rooms poolside.

« Visit the Mall of America »

We chose this hotel because it had airport shuttle service and was within walking distance to the Mall of America (MOA) It took 14 rings (!) from the MSP Terminal 2 airport hospitality desk to summon the hotels shuttle service. They promised a 'be there in ten' and they were. The walk to MOA is about 1/4 mile using a sky walk over Killebrew Dr. with elevators on each end. Then, a short walk thru the Radisson Blue parking garage to the Mall.by the Macy's entrance. There is also a hotel shuttle to MOA. Our room was spacious, well appointed, comfortable bed, lighting OK, etc. Except that it was on the ground floor right near the pool locker room. With people coming and going we had to keep the drapes closed for privacy. That put us in a nicely appointed room with no natural light. Sort of like a great equipped cave. At this time of the year there were many families booked. Many, many children of all ages, sizes and noises. This made things crowded at the large breakfast area. Since we were being picked up in the morning by fiends, we did not have breakfast there so no comment on food, etc. But what I saw was like other BW + offerings. I was told by the assistant manager that indeed this was family favored hotel. Had we come after school started and during a week day, the scene would be quite different. The pool was quite large and inviting. The Wi-Fi service, excellent. The house computers and printing facilities service also excellent. Our bill had been slipped under the door the morning of our departure and all was in order. Fastest check-out ever! All personnel that we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. They were all fine examples of "Minnesota Nice". We would go back but we would follow the assistant managers advice.

    « Another awesome stay! »

We just returned from 4 days at the Best Western Plus, Bloomington Mn. From check in to checkout, it was perfect. My Grandchildren loved the mini water park that was geared to the younger set. It is located a short walk from the Mall of America, there is a great Italian restaurant on the property as well as others nearby ( TGIF, I Hop). It has an awesome breakfast each am from 6 to 10. It changes daily and is a great way to start the day. Thank You Best Western Plus for making our stay nothing short of fantastic. We will be back soon.

Had a wonderful time. The hotel shuttled us to different locations so that a rental care was unnecessary. Location was central to many things. Atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. I will definitely bring back family.

My visit started awesome at checkout and only got better from there! Amanda at the front desk was absolutely amazing. My room was AWESOME!! The Redrossa Italian Grill that is hooked onto the hotel is superb. All in all my visit to this hotel was perfect and I couldn't ask for better. :)

« Excellent Kid friendly hotel. »

Perfectly located right across Mall of America. Highly satisfied with the kids mini water park! Decent price for quality of hotel. Attendants were rather attentive to the pool area for routine checks & cleanliness of the hotel. We typically are highly satisfied with staying at Holiday Inn Express hotels for mini vacations because of quality & price & especially the free breakfasts! At this hotel on the other hand - continental breakfast was fairly bad - powdered eggs, not much breads & fruit selection either. Best Western offers too small of a menu for the size of hotel they are. Due to this reason, we decided to have breakfast at Denny's that is located 5 miles away from Best Western. Easy resolution!

« BW Mall of America »

We like to stay here each time, the breakfast is good and the pool is great. They keep the rooms up to date and in working order. The staff is always asking if you need anything. It is a great place to stay.

« Close to Mall of America! »

Great location, excellent services offered. My grandchildren loved the two pools and the hot tub. The shuttle service to the airport and Mall of America was comfortable and convenient. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious but the hotel needs to upgrade to chair height toilets and replace the tiny kid-sized toilets that are difficult for persons with challenges rising from a seated position.

    4
« Excellent hotel and location! »

Our family stayed here for 4 nights in a 2 queen. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The bathroom is small with only a vanity but we made do. The pool area has 2 pools, a kids one with small slide, water mushroom and 4 dunk buckets. The second pool is a large pool more geared to adults. Didn't use the hot tub but looked to be a decent size. The free breakfast was above average offering hot and cold items. Biggest plus is it is directly across from the Mall of America . Would absolutely stay here again!

    5
    « Great Family Hotel »

The pool and breakfast are great for the family. It is nice that they use a saltwater system to keep the pool clean, you don't have the chlorine smell on you after swimming. The hotel is right next to the Mall of America as well in easy walking distance.

    « What service? »

Both stays told to go outside in 90+ weather to get to our rooms which were easily reached by airconditioned inside halls, room lighting to dim to read, NO suitcase racks in room, 3 Kuerig Coffee makers tried NONE worked, put on hold 8 minutes/never answered our call from the airport for the shuttle

    « Great Hotel! »

Stayed at this hotel twice within 7 days. Great hotel right across the street from the Mall of America. Very safe to walk back and forth, even late at night. Very nice pool area with a kiddie water park and small arcade in pool area. Nice big, clean rooms. We had 1st floor poolside with nice balcony. Step right out to pool area. Good complimentary breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. IHOP, Chevy's, and TGIFridays restaurants all in parking lot and within walking distance.

Recommend to anyone with children. The pool area is perfect for my 9 and 12 year old grandchildren. The food is great at the restaurant. Can get it all in one location. Wouldn't stay anywhere else! It is very easy to find from the airport and very easy to get back on the freeway. The also offer packages for Mall of America

« Good hotel, but some issues »

I stayed here from 19.-21 July and from 29.-July 2. August 2016 with my family (two adults, two kids. We are from Norway). I booked this hotel through Hotwire. We saved 60% on Hotwires Hot Rate offer. It was easy to find out wich hotel I was getting. If you have not booked through Hotwire before it works like this: See the location (area), amentites, hotell standard, but not the name of the hotel. Pay and then see the hotel name reveiled. I believe this hotel was taken over by Best Western a few years ago. Nice and clean rooms. Family oriented. We got a double queen room. TV had poor picture and the fridge made annoyning sounds, just like an alarm in the distance. Otherwise good. We did not a have room by the pool area and was glad about that since it was full activity there until 11 PM. Bathroom clean. Poor water pressure in the shower though. Huge pool area with one slide and some cool stuff for the kids. Hot tub and a bigger pool. Great for the kids! They do however need to consider having some showers in the pool area. There is a sign (not very visible) where it says that everyone needs to shower before swimming. There is a bathroom with one shower in the hallway, but nobody uses it. In order to keep the pool clean it seems they are using some sort of crazy chemical (not chlor). Our son got burn feeling in his eyes after taking a swim. I saw other kids struggeling with the same problem. I myself also experienced this. The breakfast is typical for an American hotel and we knew it wasn't going to be a tremendous meal. We have staued a dozens of American hotels and know how it works. Two-three warm dishes, bread, yoghurts, cereals and cream cheese. Compared to most hotel breakfasts in Europe the American hotel brekafast is quite poor. I know this may seem offensive to write, but if you have been to a European hotel (especially Nordic hotels) you get what I'm talking about. The breakfast area was over crowded most of the days during our stay. They do need to have a bigger breakfast area at such large hotels! We had to take our breakfast at IHOP and Perkins two times. The two women working in the breakfast area did a good job keeping the area clean and nice! WIFI worked okay during our first stay. During our second stay we had to log on every time we used the Internet. Our devieces didn't log on automatically. The hotel admitted this was a problem. I said we didn't have this problem during our first stay, but they said it had been a problem for a long time. They have to adress this asap! Poor working WIFI in 2016 is not acceptable. I know this is a I-country problem (Industrial country problem, means that compared to other problems in the world this is not a huge one). Used the laudry rooms several times. Worked great. Cheap. Remember quarters! But all in all this is a good hotel I would recommend to anyone. But the small drawbacks needs to be taken care of before I can give them full score. Especially the WIFI problem.

Close to Mall of America, one blue line light rail ride away from downtown Minneapolis, awesome pool area, and good hot free breakfast. What more could you want? The bed was super comfortable and it even had a minifridge in the room to keep my drinks cold!

« Mall of America Trip DO IT! »

My daughter age 14 and I planned a trip just to the Mall of America. I didn't want to mess with parking there so we stayed here...walked a few times, easy and safe about 15 minutes to inside of mall. And used the shuttle which was nice too. The hotel has kind front desk people and very helpful. We stayed in 1205 I mention this because it's close to a door and close to the pool and not far from the breakfast area either...downside some noise from the door area but nice. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The pool is a good size. We missed out on the hot tub too busy. :( but after shopping it was good to swim and sooth our aching feet! The breakfast and waffle area is great. BUT the downside it was always busy the whole room was smooshed with people and a line for food too. It wasn't a huge deal we took our food back to our room. But they could definitely have a bigger area to sit and eat there. That was my only complaint. Great place to stay for sure. Parking was ample and felt safe too.

    « Great Hotel »

Wonderful place to stay. Awesome staff, great room. Love the fact its close to the Mall of America and other restaurants. This trip we stayed in the suite. We really liked it. We found it pricey, but it was a nice treat and a change from the regular rooms. Would definately stay again.

    « Great hotel! »

This hotel was excellent for our family. The location is fantastic - only a 5 minute walk to the mall and if you don't feel like walking - they offer a shuttle 24 hours a day! We never waited more than a few minutes for the shuttle on our way to the mall and only waited 10 minutes for them to come pick us up when we were done. ALL the drivers were friendly and engaging. Walking to the mall - you end up by the LEGO store, but when you take the shuttle - you are dropped off at the front of the mall by IKEA - so plan accordingly! The pool area is awesome! A great splash pad for the kids, a large pool and a large hot tub. There was also lots of tables and chairs for people to sit at around the pool. There were always towels available as well which I greatly appreciated since that is not always the case at hotels! Breakfast is from 6 to 10 am. It is very busy, but we always managed to find seats. The hot food was changed every day - including pancakes, bacon, sausages, eggs, potatoes etc. Food was okay and gave us a good start to the day. I am very happy that the hotel offered water dispensers by the ice machines! That is a great perk as it was very hot outside each day and not having to constantly buy water bottles was appreciated! WE would definitely stay again - staff were excellent, very clean, great location, great pool!

    « Many amenities »

The rooms were clean and ours had a fridge and microwave. The pool area has a nice zero depth area for young children. The staff at the front desk were extremely nice. The hotel was conveniently located close to MOA and also offered a free shuttle there as well. There was a language barrier between myself and the housekeeping staff which made it difficult to get our message across but a call to the front desk was able to get the things we needed.

    « cross country trip »

Stayed at 7 different Hotels during this trip and used CAA tour books and internet to pick kid friendly places to stay. Would highly recommend this hotel for location to Mall of America and breakfast provided in the morning. The kids were able to find friends in the pool area to play with and because the pool was open late they were able to stay in it until bed time. They want to return to this hotel if we travel to this area again.

« Very Good Family Hotel: Pool, Location, Food »

A family friendly hotel that gives you everything you'd need on a vacation to MOA. The two pools fir the needs for kids of all ages. The location right next to MOA allows you to walk or shuttle or drive to do your shopping or enjoy the Nick Universe rides; or, catch a train into MSP for a Twins or Vikings game. And the breakfast is tasty, with waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. The biggest negative for us is the size of the dining area: It's simply not big enough. Most people take their food to their rooms, and that shouldn't be that way. And the menu seems to be the same every year. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay on a MOA trip!

    5
« Great location close to airport »

Great location for very early outbound flights. Disappointed that they did have breakfast to go till after 5am. Many flights are already boarding by then. People were great, room as great. Be aware to get a room away from the fabulous pool area if you need to sleep. I will consider for my next vacation spot. Indoor pool area fabulous for kids and family.

    « an awesome experience »

can't say enough good about this hotel. we stayed in a room with a fireplace - totally unexpected. decor was incredible. Mall of America was directly across the street, so extremely convenient. The hotel also had a water park for the kids, which we didn't use, but it wasn't noisy at all. Only inconvenience was that it was about the furthest room from the front desk/restaurant that you could possibly get. Airport shuttle was great also. Thanks!

« Great for families at the mall »

Stayed here before going to Nickelodeon Universe the next day. The pool area was great! There is a large pool, a shallow kid area with a slide, fountains, etc., and a hot tub. The room was clean and had a microwave and refrigerator, the bed was comfortable, and there is free wifi, free parking, free breakfast (mediocre but fine for us), and a free shuttle to the mall. Veronica was very kind and helpful at the front desk. They sell $16 tickets to the Crayola Experience at the desk as well. We will definitely return next time we are headed to MOA!

« Good Hotel with easy access to Mall of America »

If you are taking a trip to Mall of America with children and would like to avoid driving, this hotel is perfect for you. This hotel is across the street from Mall of America and also offers a free shuttle to the mall for those of you who might shop too much to carry your bags back to the hotel. Pros: 1. Lots of parking. 2. Only two floors of rooms, though I would recommend taking the steps if you are on the second floor when you can. The elevator is pretty slow. 3. Smiles greeted us each time we needed to go the front desk. I really appreciated the help we received from Veronica, who took time out of her busy day to talk to our 8 year old about his upcoming visit to Nickelodeon Universe. If you need help fast, ask for her !! 4. Pool area was great for the kids. Pool was good sized as well. 5. The beds and pillows were on the softer side, but all were comfy. 6. Due to having two different reservation numbers, we had to switch rooms after our first night there. Both rooms were spacious and clean. The rooms are good sized as well. 7. And if you need to go to Mall of America, you can either request the shuttle, or it is about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the Mall, depending on the speed of the walkers. If you take the shuttle, you just call the hotel when you are ready to be picked up again from the Mall. Cons: 1. Breakfast is served each day from 6-10 AM. We went at 8:30 AM our first day,and the breakfast area was packed. It was your basic continental breakfast, but nothing outstanding. This comes down to remembering you are getting a free breakfast, so don't expect to have a 5 star meal. The second day we went to the IHOP about a block away, and walked past the breaskfast area about 9:00 AM and again, it was packed. If you want to avoid big crowds, you might want to arrive before 8:00 ? 2. If you are sensitive to light at night when you are trying to sleep, avoid the pool side and pool view rooms. There is quite a bit of light that comes in the curtains. However, the kids love the pool views. The second night of our stay, we didn't have a pool view room, and it was much darker (yay for me). If you can sleep in a brighter room, the pool side rooms are nice, as they have patios or balconies. 3. Dining at the RedRossa, which you can get to walking thru the hotel lobby is not something to put at the top of you to-do list while staying here. You can find better food and be served much quicker, eating at the Mall of America. We went to dinner at 5:30 PM on a Monday night and there were 3 other tables with customers and it took us 45 minutes to get our food order for 3 people from the time we sat down at our table. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and when/if we go to Mall of America again, we would happily stay here again. The cons listed in my review only apply if you don't like big crowds during breakfast, don't like a lot of light at night when trying to fall asleep and if you would like to have your food served within 15-20 minutes of placing your order.

« On the Mall of America's Doorstep »

This location is prime! Located directly across from the Mall of America and offering free shuttles to and from the Mall as well as the airport, this Best Western Plus has all the conveniences of being attached to the mall at a significantly lower price. A continental breakfast is included and a restaurant is attached serving lunch and dinner. The breakfast includes fresh waffles (with several topping choices including strawberries), potatoes, sausage, yogurt, cereal, toast, and scrambled "eggs". I use quotes because these were clearly not fresh eggs. I'm quite certain these were powdered eggs- of the just add water and heat variety. Even with that being said, the breakfast includes more than most continental, and it is included. There is a centrally located pool and hot tub including a modest slide for the kids. Subsequently, noise from the pool can be heard faintly in the rooms, however a strict 11:00 PM closing of the pool keeps disruptions to a minimum. There is also a fitness center with two treadmills, two eliptical machines, a recumbent bike, and a weight machine. Each machine has a television attached and the room is kept nice and cool. The fitness room also has a stack of clean towels, a basket for used towels, as well as a water cooler. The rooms are clean, spacious, and modern and the beds are soft. Too soft for me but my wife loved it. This hotel is a great value and I highly recommend a visit.

« Great Place next to the mall. »

This is a very good hotel next to the Mall of America.. The rooms are nice. they are roomy and have a mini fridge.beds are comfortable, bathroom is nice. Wi fi is good. you can watch Netflix on it. Hotel had a nice pool. It is a salt water pool. main pool is 5' deep there is a nice hot tub. There is a splash area for younger kids. like most hotel pools it is a swim at your own risk set up and parents need to be there to supervise the kids. and it can get load. They pool area also had some arcade games and vending machines, also tables you can sit at out side the pool area. There is a gym just outside the pool area i did not use. They do provide a nice breakfast that includes Belgian Waffles. they also have hot items such as Sausage, breakfast potato's and eggs. nice selection of fruits and pastries and items to toast. Watch the hot cups and lids they do not always fit right. Several coffee and tea choices as well as milk and juice. When you go to the mall take the hotel shuttle. It is quick and they will give you a card to call them ans be picked up when you are ready to return. Also allows you to take the Metro downtown if you so desire..

« Great pool for kids! »

This is a great, small 2 story hotel within walking distance of Mall of America. The hotel offers shuttle service to and from the airport and to and from the Mall. You just call when you're ready to be picked up, and they are there in minutes. Our room was on the first floor facing the pool, which was perfect for my two grandsons. No walking the hallways in wet swimsuits - just in and out the sliding door. The attached Italian restaurant is really good - the fresh bread was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was good and offered different items daily. Would definitely stay again.

Best hotel for families, highly recommend poolside room. best Westerns can be good and not good. not reliable brand for me but so happy we stayed there and we will be back again next time. We come to the mall a couple times a year

    « Great water park for toddlers/kids »

For the last couple of years I was able to let my toddler enjoy his birthday here. We had a poolside room and there is a sitting area next to the pool. He was able to run back and forth from the pool to the room, like toddlers do,which made it so convenient for us.

This is the second time staying at this hotel across from the Mall of America. Attached to the hotel is Red Rossa Italian Grill and Bar and Chevy's a short distance away. Red Rossa Italian Grill and Bar food is very good with a limited food menu. Each time I've been very pleased with the service and location. The hotel offers a free shuttle to nearby attractions, including the metro which for just a little money will take you across the city, including Target Stadium. Parking is easy and free and the room includes a free breakfast. There is a large dorm sized refrigerator, microwave and coffee in the room. I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Not worth it »

I've stayed here several times before and it has been just okay. This trip I had a late change in my travel plans and had our agent book me a room here as I was arriving at 10pm. I got my confirmation and filed it away. My flight in was delayed so I didn't get to the hotel until after 11pm. When I arrived at the front desk I was informed that my credit card was declined when they ran it at 6pm so they canceled my room and coincidentally they were also sold out. I asked why no one even called me. She offered no explanation and no help in getting me a room. My travel agent said it is standard procedure to contact them in those cases. I also checked with my credit card company and they have no record of the declined charge. So I drove to the nearest Marriott and they found a room for me. That's what customer service is supposed to be about.

« Great for business and familes »

Very nice best Western plus, beautiful pool area perfect for families and a nice meeting space for business meetings. The rates were good. The location had a lot of pluses plenty of places to walk to and of course the mall of America was right across the street. Would recommend this to travelers and business people alike

    « FANTASTIC »

Walking distance to Mall Of America and very safe. Eagan Premium Outlet is only minutes away. Easy access in and out of the motel to Hwy 77 North and South as well as driving through the back roads. Huge variety of restaurants minutes away not including the restaurants at the Mall Of America. The Light Rail is located across the street at the MOA.

« First time at Best Western and first time in MInnesota »

Staff is very professional and accommodating. Veronica gave great customer service even before I arrived and Monique took it from there upon my arrival. I recommend to all my Minnesota travel clients. I arrived extremely early and although check in isn't until 4pm, my room was available and they let me check in before noon. I truly appreciated their assistance.

« Short Stay but Worth It. »

Our family was very happy staying here while awaiting friends before our trip out to South Dakota. Staff was pleasant and their new beds were "awesome" (quote from my 8 year old son).We stayed here both coming into to Minneapolis and leaving.

« Great room! Awesome service. »

We stayed two nights and decided to add a third. Leah at the front desk went above and beyond by getting us the same room we originally had, after initially saying we might have to move rooms due to bookings. The cleaning staff cleaned our room and was very polite. The cleaning staff even cared for all of my daughters' stuffed animals and dolls by lining them up in a row after making the bed. Kids loved the pool! Under two minutes to the mall parking lot. We will be back again!

    « Another Great Stay! »

Got to the hotel right around check-in time and figured it would be a wait judging on the amount of cars out front, but they made check-in a breeze. The room was great, had two queen beds and a sofa in it, defiantly splurge for that one over the regular double queen the extra room/seating area you get it totally worth it! Overall we had another great stay and will be back again soon!

« meh, it's close to the airport »

Very large hotel, busy with people coming to and from the Mall of America. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. We chose this hotel for the last night of our trip because of its proximity to the airport. The pool is fun for kids; splash park and swimming pool, along with hot tub. Breakfast buffet with hot choices, cereal and waffles is provided. Some of the choices did not look appetizing; dried out bread for toast etc.

    5
« Great place for kids »

This our second family trip here, it is the perfect place for kids under 6 to play in the water. Our poolside room was super convenient and clean. The breakfast that's included was also great. Lots of choices, kids liked the waffles and fresh fruit. It is a 1 minute drive across the street to the MOA. We will definitely come back in the future.

« Great Location and Excellent Hotel »

We stay here every time we visit the area. Great property and staff! The hotel is very family friendly if you are visiting for fun or also great for business trips. The breakfast is great and makes things super convenient. The location across from the mall makes things even easier if you plan to do any shopping.

« Great hotel, DID go again, a week later!!! »

location was fabulous. Easy on and off highways. Close to Mall of America Pool is FANTASTIC!!! JACUZZI is huge and lovely. Restaurant adequate ( it is convenient, which makes up for other deficiencies). Parking is excellent. Many options for type of room: close to pool, or far away from pool. Bathrooms lovely.

    « Excellent stay »

I enjoyed this hotel very much. It is a close walk to the mall and there are a few restaurants within walking g distance as well as an on-site one. The pool area is great and so is the exercise area. It was very busy at breakfast and the line was always long. The first day we were there we got bacon and egg and cheese omelets which was great. The other days got sausage patties and 2 of the days we received regular cooked eggs, but the last day we had gross scrambled eggs which tasted as if there was dirt in them, very gritty. There are other options on the buffet but if you are allergic to wheat then you have very limited options, which sucks. This is why I am rating it a 4. The last day there I had one bite of egg for breakfast and that was it. The first day I had a pile of bacon and some eggs and a yogurt and felt satisfied. The second day I had sausage and eggs, yogurt was all gone and never refilled. The third morning had sausage and plain eggs again yogurt was gone and we already discussed the last day. My advice to whomever reads this is give your people with a wheat intolerance more options. Very disappointing. I would stay here again because of the pool area for the kids but definitely will be bringing my own breakfast for me as you feel you do not need to accommodate everyone at your hotel.

« Great hotel next to Mall of America »

My wife and I took a weekend get away and had a great time at the Bloomington Best Western hotel. Everything about this hotel was Excellent. Breakfast was just ok would like more to chose from with a little better quality. Over all we had a great stay.

« Close to mall of America »

This hotel was excellent for anyone wanting to go to the mall of America. Easy walk to get there. The rooms was very clean all the workers there were very friendly and helpful. Only problem we had was noise. People were very loud at night when walking down our hallway. One night around midnight I had to finally open my door to ask these kids to quit playing in the hallway which they did. The plane noise was bothersome at night sometimes which we are light sleepers. The breakfast was good.

« Stay near the MOA »

Room was lovely, spotless and well supplied. Breakfast area was large, clean and had a good selection of food for all. Staff were helpful and nice. Restaurant looked nice, shuttle bus was handy but MOA only 7 minutes walk.

« How can you beat a hotel across from MOA »

This hotel is in a great location. How can you beat a hotel that is right across the street from MOA?? If you bought too much at the mall, they have a shuttle bus. The Staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean. Swimming area was great! Couldnt beat the free breakfast buffet either. Highly recommended!

    « Great hotel, horrible staff/shuttle. »

Great hotel. We checked in later on a Monday and had an early flight on Tuesday. The front desk recommended an early shuttle to get to our gate on time. We had a great warm breakfast before departing and made it to our gate well before our departure time. On return, I called the number to have the shuttle come pick us up to return to our vehicle at the hotel. I called at 12:00 on the dot and was told the shuttle was on it's way there already, should be there in about 5 minutes and he had plenty of room for myself, my wife and my two toddlers. Even better, no wait! At 12:08 I called because I was on the wrong side of the street at MSP and needed to go back underground to get to the other side. I could see the van when I called and was told she would call and have him wait for us. At 12:12 when we got up on the other side he was gone. We literally had just run through the entire airport from gate to the curb, with 2 small children and all our luggage/carseats to catch this shuttle that had left. Frustrated, I called the hotel again to ask what happened and she said word for word "We have destination guests that were too impatient to wait and the driver decided to leave. He should be back in 20-30 minutes." So apparently we did not matter when compared to these other "destination" guests. And the shuttle did eventually come back, 44 minutes later. The hotel is less than 15 minutes away and they have 2 shuttles. You would think they could be back and forth a little faster if they coordinated better. Needless to say, we won't be back and we will recommend others go elsewhere as well. Great hotel, horrible shuttle service.

    « Location »

My husbond and I spent two nights in an Executive King room, one of the corner rooms facing inwards. We felt a bit claustraphobic, due to the fact that the room lacked contact with the outside, but the room was huge and had all the comforts one would expect from a property like this. But be aware, the rooms facing inwards also has the noice from the pool all day untill about 11 at night... The breakfast room gets a bit cramped, especially during the last hour, but they have all you need. Selections of eggs, waffles, cereals, fruits, bread, bagels, sausages, etc. Parking is free, and there's a free shuttle taking you to and from Mall of America at your own wish.

    « Clean and Friendly »

The place was clean and the staff were all friendly. The pool area looked fun but we did not swim in the pool. It was indoor and looked fun and clean. Our room was quiet but the walls are thin as when a neighboring room flushed their toilet, I heard it. The hum of the wall unit drowned out outside noise so we slept well. The beds were comfortable and clean. There really didn't seem to be a whole lot of options as far as breakfast is concerned so we went to the free breakfast buffet at the hotel. The first morning we had egg and cheese omelets that were okay. Also, some bacon which was good and make it yourself waffles that were good. There was also two or three varieties of cereal to choose from along with some pastries; muffin, bread, bagel, and maybe a doughnut along with a toaster to toast whatever you want toasted. The second morning the scrambled eggs were absolutely horrible. I overheard someone complaining about them and he said they were 're-hydrated' eggs. They were mealy and flavorless and just horrible. Instead of bacon like the day before, sausage was offered and the sausage was just your basic round patty that was okay. The rest of the stuff was basically the same with the same do it yourself waffles which were good again. There was a variety of teas and coffee offered along with milk and juice. It took me awhile to figure out how to use the waffle machine so I kind of wish some basic directions were posted on the wall. A guest who had used the machine before me helped me out which I was very thankful for her help.

    « Great but Perfume-y »

This hotel is a great budget hotel for a trip to the Mall of America (It's literally across the street). Breakfast decent, pool large if a bit noisy (don't get poolside room if you want quiet), and clean rooms. However, the hotel uses some type of cleaner (carpet maybe?) that has an overpowering strong perfume/potpourri smell. Why they don't go scent free is strange to me...

« Still a nice place to stay. But starting to look worn a little. »

We have stayed here since it opened and always find it comfortable and very convenient. Just noticed that the room we were in was starting to get a worn look to it. Not that fresh and new feeling when you enter, which is understandable since its been there for a while now. The breakfast was still good, but really crowded with the bar section now. Staff were pleasant. I would still recommend it. But may consider some of the newer places opening up the next time were in town. Didn't use the pool but the kids there seemed to be having fun. Found it to be nice and quiet too.

    « Phenomenal Experience »

Our family stayed at this hotel based on a previous Best Western stay. The proximity to the Mall of America and the Lite Rail to the ballpark were large factors, however, the kid friendly pool area ended up making the whole trip for our family. Highly recommend over and over again

    « Great stay »

I would live to give this hotel five stars. We had a great stay. The pools were nice. Easy access to Mall of America. Two problems. At check-in...My husband and I reserved the rooms but my parents paid for one room and we for the other. Even though I was standing right there with my parents, the desk clerk would only give us room points for one room because the points program was set up in my name but someone else was paying. Not really a big deal but a little irritating because we have stayed at several different BW on our trip West and this hasn't been an issue. Second. Both mornings we were at this hotel, the maid knocked on day one at 7:30 and day two at 7:00 a.m. Asking if we were ready for service. The first day was a sleep in day. The second day we were leaving and were up but the kids were sleeping. We then took our stuff to the car and came back up to check room and the maid already had the room beds stripped down. Love the efficiency but if checkout isn't until 11:00, give people a chance to go back to check for forgotten items or use the bathroom... Other than those two issues, five stars for family friendliness and make sure to use the do not disturb sign...

« Two night near mall »

We spent two nights right across the street from the Mall of Americas. This is a really nice Best Western. It has a huge pool and water play area in the middle. Our room was on the first floor and had a private patio right beside the pool area. We could sit out there and just watch the fun all around us. For people with small children, this was perfect! The breakfast is better than most laces and had a large eating area. You can't beat the location and they have shuttles to the mall or airport.

« Great value for money and close to the mall »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It provides basic breakfast which was okay (don't expect too much about the variety of food though). We went there because of the perfect location and close to the mall. It was a really convenient experience as the hotel provide free shuttle service to customers.

    5
« Great value, fun experience for family »

We loved the proximity to the Mall of America (our primary destination), the shuttle service to and from the mall, and the wonderful toddler swimming area! The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and roomy, and our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. What a value for the money!! We would definitely stay here again.

« Family vacation / Kansas City Royals / Mall of America »

Took the little one to the Mall, she had a blast. The favorite part of her vacation was the splash park inside of the hotel. Saw the Royals play at Target Field. It was a great experience and the locals were great. Rode the light rail to the ballgame, stopped at Minnehaha Falls and walked around in the rain. We all had a great time. Also stopped by the Minnesota Zoo. The zoo and amenities are fantastic but we wound up there on "School Day At the Zoo". Holy cow. Not the fault of the zoo, but WOW. I would avoid that if possible. Great town, great place to just kick it foe a few days.

    5
« Really good experience. If you are going for the mall, this is the hotel for you. »

Booked this through Hotwire. Based on the hints and some research on bidding travel message boards, I was pretty confident this was the hotel I was getting when I purchased it on Hotwire. I was correct. There is a sky bridge just down the road to the mall. This must be new-ish and really adds a great deal of value to the hotel. I know the shuttle runs to the mall, but we didn't take it. The desk staff was helpful. I asked about transit, and they suggested I take their shuttle to a nearby train station instead of taking the MOA station for cost/convenience. We ended up driving instead, but the knowledge was helpful. I asked later in the evening for menus of "non-chain" pizza places. They had six or so stapled in a stack, ready to go. Pizza Luce was great, btw. Free delivery! The pool area is big and well maintained. We used it the first day for our one year old. The little kids area is nice, but it does get crowded. They have an area with several tables nearby and it looked like based on the pizza bucks several large groups had used the area/pool for a weekend family get together on Saturday night. Not a complaint. Just observation that it seems like on weekends it gets busy. It is very loud in the pool area. It opens up to the hotel rooms, but our room didn't overlook it. So I don't know if you could hear it in the rooms. Free breakfast was good, but Sunday morning it was packed. However the breakfast area is as large as I've ever seen. It seemed well staffed too. Strawberry syrup for the waffles was a nice touch. Very positive experience. Definitely a family friendly place, but I could see people who wanted to do a big shopping making this their first choice. You could mark your car at the hotel and never move it until you want to leave.

    « Same Best Western »

I wasn't shocked to find our room and stay to be less than nice. The shower head was plugged and needed up dated, no toilet paper, air conditioning was loud. Breakfast was cold and poor selection. Just wasn't impressed with anything.

    « Shopping trip »

We decided since we were so close while visiting Iowa that we would do an overnight and check out the Mall of America. This hotel is just across the street from MOA so that made it perfect for us. Check in was quick and efficient and front desk was very pleasant. We were given a room with 2 queen beds. Beds were comfortable but pillows left a little to be desired. They were all soft and squishy. No firm ones to be found. They were also a bit on the small side. If we were to stay here again I would definitely bring my own. Room has a mini fridge, microwave and kcup coffee maker. Would have been nice if the pantry had milk bottles stocked in it. I had to go to the attached resturant to see if they had any. $3.18 for a cup of milk but I had run out so I really had no choice. I will definitely be more prepared. Breakfast the next morning was good. They have waffles and some other hot items. Plus pastries, bagels and breads. The coffee was goods. They also have a nice selection of teas and juices. Also liked their hours were from 600 till 1000. Definitely recommend this place.

    « Great Property »

I had never stayed in a Best Western Plus before and was unsure of what to expect. Desk check in was fantastic with nothing but professionalism by the staff. The room (1111) was found to be extremely nice and very clean. The breakfast was rather crowded with lots of running and screaming kids, however this was not the fault of the property. ( Bad and non caring parents) Had a very nice short walk to the Mall of America and after, we ate diner at one of the many establishments in the area. Overall, we had a very nice stay at this establishment.

    « Terrible Service »

We arrived late evening having booked the room thru a discount website No where and I mean no where is there any indication that to do park and fly you need to book a room at full price. In fact the courtesy shuttle to and from the airport was included in all descriptions. I politely stated that would generally imply a car is sitting somewhere since guests generally don't walk there. But anyway, I asked quite politely for the night MGR to honor our parking request and we were told buzz off basically. I reapproached her in the am and received her same general rudeness. Whatever. I parked at the airport and will ensure our family reunion block of rooms never happens again. She won the war but very much lost the battle. If you want to make discount booking guests feel like second class citizens don't offer rooms to those sites. All I will say NEVER again.

    « OK Stay.... »

The hotel is located directly across the street from Macy's at Mall of America. To access the mall, you need to walk a couple of blocks (basically, the length of the mall) to a skybridge ? the walk is less than 10 minutes. I thought the hotel was conveniently located and offered a nice variety of cold and hot breakfast foods. The shuttle service to the airport (and there is one to the mall) is a nice amenity. Our room was clean and quite spacious (Rm #1027). My husband (the architect) thought the toilet was quite far from the wall and the shower was backwards?but hey, that's the kind of eye he has! Wi-fi was reliable and signal was strong. Anyway, I think I would have given more stars if the hotel was less like noisy. There were several incidents where people conversed in the hallways (as late as 10:30 PM). You could hear absolutely everything ? people walking, people talking, showers running?and at one point, the front desk was banging on a door down the hall from us, the walls are paper thin!! It was very disruptive, especially if you are trying to get a good night's rest before an early rise.

    « Good place »

A great location, easy to get to. A couple different restaurants within walking distance. Right across the street from the Mall of America. We used the park and fly feature and thought it was a little spendy. That being said, their shuttle bus drivers and all front desk people were very accommodating and efficient. Probably won't stay there again because of the price.

« Hotel is the BOMB »

We came here for our family trip this year instead of going to South Dakota. We have no regrets. Our children (5yo, 3yo, and 18 months) are loving it! Clean hotel, clean rooms, newly renovated, updated look, kid friendly pools, friendly smiling staff, and super close to the Mall of America. I'm a stickler when it comes to the look of a hotel and my husband is super frugal... this hotel met both our needs.

« A nice place to stay if youre visiting MOA. »

I booked this hotel as it was the cheapest option at the time of booking. My intentions while staying here were to stay with my fiance for the week (she is an American citizen and i am not) and the hotel definitely helped serve that purpose. However, the pool did not seem to be filtered correctly and after seeing a doctor my fiance has found out she unfortunately got thrush from the chlorine. Other than that everything was spot on.

« Nice stay; very active place »

Not sure why so many families were present this weekend, but it was very busy in this facility. Despite the busy, I enjoyed my stay. My room was far away from the activities. It has an indoor pool that is very respectable (not a giant bathtub) and very good for the kids. Room had everything I needed and they services it well. Enjoyed my stay.

« Nice Place! but dont even think that breakfast is good for one second. »

It was awesome that you had cheese omelets, bacon, and French toast as hot breakfast items. It sucked completely that the bacon had no flavor, and was soggy. The hard nasty cheese omelet things were gross. They looked like omelets but tasted like the water they were steamed with. The steamed soggy French toast was very gooey, and also tasted like the steamed Bloomington tap water. All that hot stuff got thrown away. Looks nice but is an absolute waste. Kind of like like putting cheap hand driers in a bathroom, nothing to wipe hands on, but we have these nice hand driers which do nothing, but we checked the box. Sorry folks, your breakfast sucked. Go eat it and honestly tell me what you think. Also the foreign music coming from the kitchen didn't add to my fine dining experience either. Not trying to be a butt, you asked. So, if my point isn't clear. You can advertise a hot breakfast, but your food leaves much to be desired. I ate the raisin bran, but that's another story. The cereal was compacted in to the dispenser, I made a mess trying to get it out. Most people would ignore it, and move on to something else when the cereal didn't come out, I however held it open and grabbed a spoon and chipped my bran out. your dispensers don't work when you mash the cereal in there so you don't have to fill it all the time. It only makes people irritated in the morning, and it annoys people when some guy is banging the crap out of the cereal dispenser trying to get some raisin bran because he don't like steamed bacon. Have a great day, I know good help is hard to find! Joel

« Visiting the Mall of America Stay at this gem of comfort and convenience! »

I wanted to take my 12 year old son and his friend to the Mall of America. The Best Western Plus made it easy to get to the mall and we just called when we were finished. The poolside room was so nice just walk out the patio doors into the relaxing pool area. There is a little water park for little kids, nice pool for the older kids and adults. The hot tub melted away the stress of the day. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable! I strongly recommend stay at this wonderful Hotel!

    « Pool Playground »

Very nice place and popular for families with children. The room furnishings were very modern and looked good. We decided not to use the pool area and went to the mall instead. The Mall of America was within walking distance, we spent a few hours there and ate dinner there. The only negative was breakfast. Our omelettes tasted like they have been sitting in water, neither of us could finish ours. The sausage was the same, I suppose they added water to keep them from drying out, there was a lot of liquid in the pan. Even with the shortfall of breakfast we enjoyed our stay and would visit here again.

« Okay hotel, great location! »

The staff was very nice and helpful. The only complaint that I have about the rooms is the bed spreads are very itchy and thin, I was freezing!! But it was so nice to be able to walk to the mall of America and close by restaurants. We didn't get to try the restaurant on site but boy did it smell good!!

« Kids and Family Friendly »

This hotel was all around excellent. The rooms were clean and updated with modern decor. If you informed the staff that you were staying there with a child they would give you a room with the balcony right off the pool area. These rooms were great because the balcony opened right into the pool area so wouldn't have to leave your balcony but still be able to watch your kids play in the pool. Even thought the pool area was noisy, when you closed your balcony door you could not hear a sound. The pool area was great because they had a play area for the kids separate from the regular pool area also a jacuzzi. It also had a very mini arcade for kids to play. When I traveled during Chicago Public Schools spring break it was great because the pool area was not crowded, also everyone was very respectable and did not allow their younger kids to fill up the jacuzzi, which is so common and annoying. I love the free breakfast the hotels offers, especially when you are traveling with a family, eating out can be very expensive so it eliminates having to pay for breakfast every morning. They have a wide variety and the staff always keep the eating area clean and the food stock full. The self made belgian waffles were a hit. The front desk staff were very friendly and they have much needed and appreciated complimentary shuttles too and from the airport as well as to and from the Mall of America. The location is also great because if it's a nice day outside you can walk to the Mall of America, its literally right across the street. Overall great for traveling with family.

The hotel was just awesome and the fireplace suite with a pool view was great. The room was very nice and clean. A super place to hang out with family, and with my dad's age, the balcony pool view seating was so nice. I would recommend this hotel for any family gathering. The pool area was outstanding. This hotel is a great option for anybody wanting to stay close to Mall of America.

    « Good hotel/value for the location »

« Just what I was looking for »

Was picking up a friend who flew in from out of town. It took 6-7 minutes to drive from here to the airport to pick her up so once the plane landed, I left and met her at baggage claim. No need to park. We ate at the Italian Restaurant, very good pizza. Walked to Mall of America. This hotel is very accessible, clean, helpful and affordable.

« Nice option in Bloomington »

Nice hotel in Bloomington near the Mall of America off of highway 77. Room was updated and had a neutral scent. (no discernible scent- which is good!) Bathroom was nice and updated. I liked the lemon scented soaps. We went to the attached restaurant and that was great also if you are looking for Italian food. Bed was comfortable. There is a nice pool area for kids.

    « Nice »

The first 2 nights were great. Nice pool, good breakfast. But on Saturday night a large fight ensued in the hallway with a group of 20 to 30 african american men and women with their kids watching. One female was screaming, banging on walls. It was ridiculous. Besides this one incident, the hotel was great.

    « Great staff »

This is my second trip to Minneapolis and I've stayed here twice. This location is walking distance from Mall of America and that's very cool. The hotel has a wonderful indoor pool and hot tub. The pool area even has an area that's just for kids. Amanda from the front desk was super helpful and goes the extra mile for her guests. She was super!! With what this hotel offers and the locality to the largest mall in America, it's a no brainer. Whether you're here for business or pleasure this is a fantastic place to stay.

« Excellent service, clean, close to Mall of America »

The staff gave us excellent service. Provided free shuttle service to/from airport. King size bed comfortable. Great pool with whirlpool and play area for children. Provided fresh fruit snacks in lobby during afternoon. Use of computer/printer, fast internet speed. If ever in this area would stay again. Within walking distance to Mall of America. I enjoyed the decor of the hotel and room.

    « Highly recommended »

Very nice, clean, quiet room with comfortable bed. Nice restaurant with excellent food. Within walking distance to Mall of America or shuttle service available. I didn't use the pool, but would be a great place to stay with children in a room overlooking the pool area. Very friendly, polite, and helpful staff.

« Peaceful and very clean »

Very nice property located directly across the street from Mall Of America. Rooms were extremely clean and quiet. Never waited longer than 15 minutes for shuttle service. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. My only complaint was that I was denied checking out an hour later than the 11am check-out, as I was attending a conference on-site and would have preferred to so on the lunch break.

    « Fantastic »

Great hotel, great staff. Great pool, kids love the splash pad, water temp could be a bit warmer. Breakfast is very good nice selection. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic! Good location across from Mall of America.

    « Great Staff - Mediocre Room »

The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel room itself was mediocre (had trouble heating it, and water temps were low, and toilet didn't completely flush--left fragments of TP lingering in the bowl). The Redrossa restaurant food and staff were awful.

« Mall of America Trip »

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western during our trip to the Mall of America. It was a very pleasant stay. The staff, cleanliness of the rooms, pool area, and restaurant all exceeded our expectations, especially for the price.

« Great place if the MOA is your destination »

Have stayed here before. Consistently good. Great pool area for kids, breakfast, Wi-Fi and shuttle to the Mall all included. Clean, nice staff...its a yes for me every time. Only 300m walk to the Mall. Attached restaurant is also very good. If not, IHOP and TGIfriday are across the parking lot.

« Great Spring Break Getaway! »

We stayed here for 2 nights while in town to visit Mall of America. The hotel has been updated recently and was very clean and nicely decorated. Our family loves our 2nd floor poolside room, because the kids loved going out on the balcony to look at swimmers. The pools were very nice for our kids ages 8 and 4. The 2nd night we were there though, a sports team and their families were being very rowdy in the children's pool. They were doing things that were very dangerous and the little kids couldn't play there. The parents said nothing. It would be nice to have someone from the hotel at least monitor the area once in awhile on nights that are busy. Breakfast was included, but wasn't the greatest quality. Eggs and sausage were not good. Otherwise the hotel was very nice. We will be back!

    « Spring break stay »

The hotel was pretty good. The pool area was clean and enjoyable. The breakfast area was well stocked. Very close to the MOA. The room layout is awkward. The bathroom really needs more shelf space and the shower had very little water pressure. Overall a good hotel for the price.

    « mall of america »

Just your average hotel but close to moa. The pool was cold and had a real "salty" taste and the breakfast was so so they ran out of waffle mix and the eggs had a different taste to them and they never refilled the yogurt or doughnuts.

    « Nice Place! »

We stayed one night and enjoyed it. We had a bit larger room, 2 Queen beds with a pullout couch. It was clean and comfortable. The pool area is nice. Larger pool for older kids and adults, cute zero depth entry for littler ones with a small slide and some water sprayers. Adult pool had warmer water than small kid area, but could've been warmer. Hot tube was nice. I wish we could've got a lower level poolside room. Really handy for those who intend on enjoying the pool! The breakfast was OK. It was horribly congested with limited seating (they did open a conference room for extra space). They did have waffles, cereal, bacon and some cheese omelettes. Along with a selection of juice and breads.

    5
    « Excellent! »

This was a great deal. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable enough. The pool was spacious and the kids enjoyed it. If it's not raining or snowy the walk to MOA is very short and doable. If you have tons of packages you might want to try and catch a shuttle back. Breakfast was crowded but lots of choices that were decent (yogurt, fruit, fruit cups, cereals, breads and pastries, belgian waffles, coffee, tea, juice, water...) Staff was nice. Room was cleaned everyday. A room by the pool would be convenient, but probably noisy and would smell of chlorine. We had a room on the 2nd floor close to the pool but not right around it and it was perfect. Parking was free as well!

« Great place for kids! »

We took a family trip to Mall of America and were looking for a close hotel with a pool and free breakfast. We had a 2nd floor pool view with balcony. We loved the waterpark but the pool was a little cold. Great location to MOA. The pool is open until 11 and we found it pretty noisy. Perhaps if it closed earlier that would help. We did not use the shuttle as we were so close, easier to drive IMO. The breakfast was okay. Super crowded. Okay selections, no bacon, limited pastries, and no fruit (we noticed apples off to the side our last day). We would stay again. Great location, great pool for kids of all ages!

    « Repeat visit still a treat! »

Our second time here, and again enjoyed it. The pool area us a plus, the beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. This time around we walked to the mall using the nearby skywalk. It took us just about 5 minutes, and most of it was sheltered, so even on the snowy night of 3/23/16 the walk was fine.

    « Great stay! »

Excellent property. The breakfast was kept full and fresh and the choices had something for everyone. The poolside room was great, my wife and I enjoyed a bottle of wine on our patio while the children, (ages 11 and 14) swam, then we all enjoyed some awesome Carbone's pizza, (best in the Cities) on the patio keeping our room "pizza free". The wifi was amazingly strong, we had four phones and a tablet going all at once and there was never a hesitation of connection. We've stayed at Radisson Blu and considered the new JW Marriott but being able to walk into the mall from our room isn't worth the extra money when the BW gave us a larger room, poolside, free breakfast, great wifi, and convenient parking for a lot less money.

    « Loved staying here! »

We had such a great visit to Mall of America. The hotel is right across the street. They have a shuttle available every hour. Room was very clean with comfortable beds. Microwave, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. They kept everything stocked up considering they were very busy. The pools were awesome. Loved the zero depth for the little kids. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    « AWESOME STAFF! »

We arrived during what seemed like a very busy check in time and the three ladies at the front decked ROCKED IT! Shawna checked us in and and she knew what she was doing and she did it well. She was efficient, but told me everything I needed to know and set my shuttle up for the next morning. We had a 2:30AM shuttle to MSP and I wish I knew their names, but the man who worked over night that checked us out was so nice and the shuttle drive who drove us there was also the same who drove us back to the hotel after our trip and he was very pleasant to talk to. I like a driver who will talk to me and he did just that! Overall the whole place was great, the hot tub was nice great place to relax before a day worth of travel, the park and fly works awesome with the shuttle and I have never been one for Best Westerns, but this place is beautiful and well taken care of!

« LOVE THE STAFF AT BLOOMINGTON BEST WESTERN »

The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel was booked to the Max with dance competition teams, and they were able to maintain positive friendly attitudes. It was GREAT! And if you become a Best Western Elite member, you get to pick two items on your stay from the store...my daughter loved this!

    « Mall of America »

The hotel is very clean with friendly staff. Room decor made you feel like you spent way more for the room than we did.The pool side room was great since we had a 3 year old. Very convenient to Mall of America. I highly recommend Best Western Plus Bloomington Hotel.

« Best MOA hotel for kids »

We stay here every year with grandkids at least once a year, usually more often. It's our favorite hotel in MOA area. PROS: 1. We always book a poolside room (worth the extra $) for convenience; just walk out your sliding doors and you are in the pool area. Pools close at 11 pm and open at 8 am so minimal noise during the night. 2. Beds are firm and we loved them; others might not. Linens are fresh and luxurious. Nice sized bathroom. Air and heat worked great (early March - ran a/c most of the time due to sauna atmosphere in adjacent pool area). Free wifi worked fine. Room is kind of dark, could use better or more bright lighting. 3. Front desk, housekeeping & van drivers were all pleasant and hardworking. Kept their smiles even with difficult guests (not us!). 4. They have a small snack & sundry area next to front desk with amazingly low prices! It really saved our lives when we all four got itchy rashes from the saltwater pool the last night and miracle of miracles -- they had liquid benadryl for sale (and not outrageously priced). We really appreciated that. 5. Breakfast was okay. Kids loved the waffles. I will never understand why so many hotels serve the "fake" eggs; they are awful. Better no eggs than these. Free coffee, tea and fresh fruit available all day. 6. Pool area - what can I say? It's the reason for the high ratings. Relaxing and refreshing. Kids pool with water features, huge swim pool and large hot tub. Poolside rooms with patios are a plus. 7. Across the street from Mall of America/Nickolodeon Universe. You can walk a quarter block outside to catch a skywalk there. Or you can use the free hotel shuttle, but beware that you have to stand outside about 1/4 block from the Mall to catch the shuttle back to the hotel (no fault of the hotel's... That's just the setup for hotel shuttles). If it's cold or raining, you will feel it (you can't call for shuttle until you are outside in the waiting area). After first day standing out in the cold, we found it was easier to just drive and park our car at the free covered parking ramps at MOA. 8. In addition to RedRossa italian at hotel, there is a TGIFridays and IHOP within walking distance; of course, there are also dozens of restaurants in the MOA. 9. IKEA is just on other side of MOA. Can't walk but it's a quick 3 min. drive. 10. We also spent a day at Waterpark of America, also just a 5 min drive from the hotel. CONS - (they are minor, as we overall love this hotel) 1. This is definitely a family hotel, but their tv/movie selection in room needs improvement imo. For tired, worn out kids, there are no disney or cartoon channels (just Nick, which shows 70's sitcom reruns in the evening). And no movies to purchase on tv?? Strange. 2. Pool area was always out of towels in evenings. They did their best filling it up, but it seems that at least half the time we had to "drip" all the way back to our room and then use our bath towels (signs say not to use bath towels... So not sure what we were expected to do??) 3. Breakfast - go with real eggs or no eggs at all.

« Mall of America visit »

I selected the hotel based on the Nickelodeon package deal. We enjoyed the proximaty of the hotel to the mall. My 6 year old daughter loved the pool area. The only down side was we couldn't do the park and the mall in one day - I would have preferred to stay 2 nights, would have been nice to have a good rate to reflect a 2 night stay!

The only issue we had was with billing, but it was handled immediately. Our room was clean and comfortable. We ate dinner at RedRosa and it was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. I wish I would have booked a poolside room.

    « Always First Choice »

My family and I travel to MPLS several times a year, and we always try to stay at this hotel. Walking distance to MOA, light rail to get to airport or downtown events, plus a 5-10 min drive to Eagen outlet mall. Hotel well maintained, cleanliness always good, kids like the pool area and the attached restaurant/lounge adds convenience.

    « Hotel »

We used the shuttle from the hotel to go to the Mall of America and also to return. We enjoyed the stay very much. It was too cold to walk to the mall or we could have done that. The breakfast should have included more adult cold cereals like corn flakes.

    « Very nice »

We stayed for four nights over spring break, and we really enjoyed the pool area, although the large pool was freezing! There is a separate kids pool, and the hot tub is fairly large. There was an issue with the pool towels not being replaced on a timely basis, so we had to start bringing them from our room. The room itself was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The hotel is right across from the Mall of America and next to restaurants. The wifi is free and works great. The breakfast is fine although nothing to write home about.

    5
    « Stay-cation with little kids »

We love this hotel/ pool for our toddler and baby. We stayed pool side and it was perfect for us to keep the toddler busy in the pool area and easy access to our room for anything we needed. Loved staying on a Sunday night as it wasn't quite as busy.

« Wonderful Place To Stay »

Second time we have stayed here. Employee's are all so kind and helpful. Very clean and quiet. Pool area is large with plenty of tables and chairs. It is a little more money than other motels close by but the pool area is worth the extra to us.

« Great Value, Clean and Convenient »

We stayed overnight enroute to a southern destination. The shuttle bus to/from the airport and also to the Mall of the Americas is SOOO convenient and also very timely - 10 minutes maybe. We used this service a lot. The room itself was spotless, comfortable and quiet. The onsite, ITALIAN restaurant is also convenient and very good> The complimentary breakfast also has a lovely assortment.

« Not a bad experience but nothing special »

My husband and I visited this hotel for a family "after Xmas" gathering. We reserved a block of rooms about 6 weeks in advance with the hope we could all be grouped together. When we checked in, we were spread out all around the pool area. What's the real purpose of requesting a block of rooms if they can't be grouped in one area. The breakfast was barely sufficient. The "egg" product was unappetizing both mornings we went to the breakfast area. Very limited selection of pastries and fruit.

« Fantastic Fly and Stay »

If you can get room for $125 park and fly this is the way to go. Rooms are unbelievably nice compared to other hotels near airport. Really awesome pool with play area and arcade for kids. Shuttle was painless both ways. Breakfast buffet is typical hotel breakfast.

    « Check-in Fiasco »

We arrived at 130 and were told that the next wave of rooms available is 3pm, so they gave us a coupon for the restaurant and we went there. Returned 10 min. before 3- original girl was leaving- new girl said the room was not available and to check back at 3. In the meantime, a long line formed. My husband got in it and I sat with my young kids. He got up there about 320 and room was still not ready, so he asked that we get a different room. they put us in a room that supposedly cost the same $180 as the king executive suite that we booked. We got a 2 queen bed with sofa- definitely not worth $180. My husband went down to lobby after looking for other places to stay and they said our room was finally ready. This was about 430, so we switched rooms. I still don't think we had an executive room. We had a king bed with a pull out couch on a corner so there was more space to the room, but it was not a suite. My husband called the manager and LM on Sunday. We decided to stay and at about 520 went to the lobby to get shuttle to MOA and a couple told us they had already been waiting about 30 min. We waited 30 more min. and shuttle never showed and decided to go back to room as the mall closed at 7pm. Our whole first day was wasted. The staff should have told us when we got there at 130--"your room will be available after 4pm, so if you'd like you can take the shuttle to the mall and then come back and check in." That would have been nice because we could have done some of our shopping then. Instead we had to cram it all in on Mon. I called the GM and LM Mon. night and asked that he call us back or take $100 off of our bill for many reasons. He never called back. That room was not worth what we paid for it on either night. On top of that we could hear the pool noise both nights. The TV picture was not great either.

    « Everything you want! »

I loved this hotel. The pool was stellar, having a restaurant on site suited us, and the room was lovely. Nice staff and helpful with airport information. Great location for shopping and the airport. I have nothing negative to say at all.

    « Very accommodating but... »

They certainly have their park and fly setup dialed in, very impressed with that. Used the coupon and visited the Italian restaurant for dinner. Decent food, okay prices for the Twin Cities. The room was huge and very modern. It was number 1100. Right next to the vending machines on one end and on the other side the pool women's bathroom. Very noisy due to it's location. Bathroom sink drain was broken and I had to reattach it. Will stay again for the park and fly ease.

    3
« room was really nice but not the lobby. »

Like i said the room was really nice and the pool was OK, but the lobby was not the same i expected and the breakfast was not a lot of options. What was nice is that the mall is close by. And if you need to go to Ikia is near too.

« Shopping and Swimming fun »

Nice hotel, nice shuttle service to mall, large, clean rooms. Breakfast bar could use some variety. This hotel was PACKED! They only had one room reserved for us, but we managed to squeeze seven of us in one room. They brought in a large roll away bed that could sleep two kids.

    « Park and Fly »

We love the hotel and the staff is always friendly and helpful even if a mistake is made. The close proximity to the airport and Mall of America is usually why we choose this hotel not to mention that a great lady also manages it!

« Great location, great rooms bad breakfast and housekeeping »

The location is awesome and the rooms off the pool side area are awesome and a Is great for having small pool parties and family fun! However the breakfast was terrible! I work at a hotel in the kitchen and I know what is good and what's not. When I stayed there the breakfast hostess had no hair net on the hash browns weren't done all the way so they were soggy and the eggs they were serving were meant to be used on a breakfast sandwichs and even the bacon wasn't crispy and yummy overall very unhappy considering breakfast was one of the things I was looking forward too. Good location great hotel bad food quality. Felt like they were feeding prisoners not guest ????????????????

    2
    « Not so great »

The Lobby is awesome and the staff person was really pleasant and friendly. Our room was extremely from the nearest entrance. Definitely needed a closer entrance and of course we had to park the car quite a way from the entrance. The room smelled of stale smoke and the bathroom was dirty. There was mold in the show. YUCK. The edge of the carpet was super dirty and the curtain was broken. Not staying there again.

« If you are going to the Mall of America, Stay Here. We are Repeat Customers »

We stay at this hotel every time we go the The Mall of America. It is very close to the mall, clean, and it has a great breakfast buffet (you can even make your own waffles). It also has really nice pool. The best rooms are the on the inside, with a view of the pool (totally worth the extra cost). The pizza delivery in the hotel is good, too. It is not the fanciest hotel ever but I really like the quaint feeling of it. I know there is a Waterpark of America hotel but this is more intimate. I can see the kids in the pool from my room, I don't have to search all over for them in the waterpark. We go to the WI Dells so I get enough of that there. You cannot go wrong with this hotel.

    5
« We've already got stay #2 on the books! »

Very good. The beds are fantastic and the breakfast is good. We had a few issues when we called the front desk after booking our second stay, but a few days later an employee named Mike had us all squared away and made sure we were more than happy to return!

    « Pleasantly surprised! »

« SLOW Cleaning leading to late check in »

Don't know if they were overbooked or short staffed or what, but this is off our list of places to stay around the Mall. We arrived at around 3pm to see if we could check in and were told that our room wasn't ready yet. No big deal, they took our luggage and stored it in the office and we went to the mall. We bowled, had a early dinner and our boys hit the rides. We got back after all that and still our room was not ready. So now we are told it would take another 45 minutes. So we sit in the lobby for about 35 in actual time with others waiting also. The staff was good and we were compensated for our aggravation, but there are too many other options around the Mall to make this kind of blunder and get a repeat visit. So we will try another place next time.

    5
« It's the management that makes the difference between good and great. »

The hotel is clean, the breakfast is good and as of today, this may be my "go to" hotel when going to Minneapolis. Did I mention the beds are probably the best I've ever slept in and the shuttle service is excellent? I look forward to our next trip this upcoming May and cannot say enough nice things about the accommodations.

I made a last minute decision to stay at the Best Western Plus Bloomington because of weather and found that the accommodations and service were great. It made my business trip a pleasure. It is the perfect location for picking up people at the Airport and spending at the Mall of America. Looks like a great place for family fun.

    « Good hotel - Great dining - Overall - AWESOME! »

We stayed at the hotel for two nights - one on either end of a trip with a flight. We picked the hotel because of the shuttle service to the airport and the long-term parking. The hotel shuttle to the airport was prompt. The restaurant on-site was wonderful - great staff and amazing food. Hotel desk staff very helpful. We didn't use the pool, but it looked good. Our room was very very clean both times. Some of the rooms are getting a little worn, but only a little. Overall, an awesome stay. Would stay here again for sure!

We were at an event for my son and this was the team hotel. I was not expecting much from a Best Western. We were pleasantly surprised! The pool was amazing and the rooms were great. We had a room on the first floor with a door out to the pool area. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept great. They have a good hot breakfast. And they are right across the street from he Mall Of America. Good experience all around!

« Beautiful property, on site dining at it's finest »

We did the park and fly at this hotel and it was amazing. We ate at the restaurant on site, RedRossa Italian Grille. Delicious food, great service there and the prices are incredibly reasonable. We didn't use the hotel amenities as we were heading out on vacation with an early flight so we arrived, ate and slept. The shuttle to the airport was perfect; quick and painless. When we arrived back, we simply called and they came within minutes. The room was very nice; clean, comfortable and large. We ate breakfast and you simply can't leave and find a better deal.

This hotel had the most friendly staff. The shuttle to the mall was a perk we didn't expect but is the way to go. The rooms were quiet even though the hotel was full! Would recommend for all parents with smaller children.

    « Another day »

I loved my king suite. It was nicely decorated, up to date with wood floors with ceramic and granite in the bathroom. really nice. We stayed on New Years so the kids could enjoy their pool area. They ran out of towels as soon as they were put out. The staff was stressed and it showed, they were rude to several people I heard them speak to. The staff in RedRossa was very slow and We had to ask for water several times. I will definitely have to visit during a less busy time of the year.

    3
« Great Pool, Rooms Need a Good Cleaning »

My husband and I arrived at 5:00 p.m. on New Years Day and were told our rooms were not yet ready but had to check back later. We spent hours on the road traveling that day with our one year old child, two more adults and two more young children. We are not familiar with the city and do not like driving in the city so we went to the restaurant to eat and continued to check on our rooms. We got into our room at approximately 7:30 p.m. after waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes and our child started fussing. We only got one room at that time and were told that we should have the other one shortly (they were supposed to be next to each other) and the front desk would call when our 2nd room was ready. We took the kids swimming had one person wait in the room for the phone call. I went back to the front desk to see if the room was ready after we did not get a phone call and the cleaning lady had moved a few doors down now. When I arrived at the lobby a couple just walked in and were in front of me. They were given the room next to ours. I was told they had rooms available but on the opposite side of hotel and 2nd floor or we could wait for a closer room but they couldn't tell us if there were even any closer rooms. As it was 8:30 p.m. and the kids were tired, we took that room. Just a little upset that the room next to ours was the same style room we asked for but was given to someone who just walked in the door instead of people in the hotel waiting for rooms. Not a big deal but the front desk made it sound like they were doing everything to get us a room next to ours and we would have next available room. Busy holidays and weekends they should have more cleaning staff to keep up with the demand of people coming. They seemed a little short staffed. The next day we spent at the MOA and when we returned at 4:00 the cleaning lady was just getting to our room. In our room there was a red stain on the carpet by nightstand, the grout in the shower was filled with scum and mold and the shower curtain had mold on the bottom. I used 5 baby wipes to get some scum off the walls and then I gave up. I also used 4 baby wipes to dust the room. I know that they were probably busy New Years Eve and the rooms may not have been cleaned the best but this looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month or more. There was also a stuffed animal by the bed from previous guests. I am not one to complain, I usually just clean the room myself with what I have and suck it up. This being a Best Western Plus and we have stayed at many and they are our favorite, it is lacking compared to the others we have stayed at. CONS: Hallways were very cold after coming from swimming pool. Never any towels so had to walk to room dripping wet. Heater was very hard to find a comfortable temp. Either too cold and too hot. PROS: Loved the pool, great for kids. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good and loved the shuttle to the MOA. I am a believer in second chances so I would probably try this hotel again because of the location to MOA, breakfast and pool.

« Great location- great kid's pool area! »

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus in Bloomington, MN. The location was wonderful and it was nice to have a shuttle to the Mall of America... I would have liked it better if the shuttle took you to the door rather than to the shuttle area where we had to walk in the rain to get into the mall but I don't think this is the hotel's fault; it's most likely the way the mall has them to do it. Still, it was convenient and was a nice option on days my husband had to have the car for other things. The room was nice and the beds were some of the most comfortable that we've had! The breakfast was nice with waffle makers and other hot items as well as fruit and cereals too. My little boy LOVED the kids indoor water park area- it had a special pirate themed slide, water spouts, sprayers, zero entry and other water features; we spent many, many fun hours just playing there. We would definitely visit this hotel again!

    « Hotel was Awesome »

Hotel was amazing, pool was excellent as well as the pool play area. restaurant has great pizza, pasta and salads. Front desk staff was very helpful on every occasion. Shuttle tback and forth to the mall was timely and room was clean clean clean.

« Would stay here again in a heartbeat »

We stayed here for a fun family weekend, and we enjoyed it so much I'm sure we'll do it again next year. The rooms were clean and quiet, all the staff were friendly and helpful, the kids enjoyed the pool, and we loved the easy walking distance across the street to the Mall of America. Also, the free breakfast was a lot better than we've had at many other competing hotels.

« To many Broken Things »

Stayed at this Hotel previously and brought the family this time for a trip to MOA. The only good things are the pool and the breakfast. The room was in need of some repairs. The door to the mini fridge was hanging by one hinge. The room had no toilet paper holder! We had to open up a new roll and unwrap it by hand. Staying here previously I remember the room having a stand alone tissue holder but this room had nothing. Large red stain on the carpet by the mini fridge. All the vending machines in the pool area do not work, lost a few bucks on each one trying to get the kids and ice cream snack. After the previous stay where our honeymoon wasn't special and this stay, we wont be back. We stayed at a different hotel the 2nd night of our trip and was $30 cheaper and everything was better than this place. Look around, this hotel needs some work.

« Happy with my choice for this vacation stay! »

This was a great choice for myself and my family for our vacation! The shuttle service to the mall was so convenient! I chose a pool-side room that worked out perfect for the kids!! I would definitely stay here again and tell others to choose Best Western Plus also!! There were no issues at all for myself and my family!! Every one we talked to was very pleasant and very helpful!!

    « Nothing Special »

I stayed here because they advertised as a Plus motel. They only different than a regular Best Western is they had new decor in the rooms. This is an old motel remolded. Heater didnt work and they didnt have a competent staff person to fix. Breakfast area is so small there were lines into the hallway. I will never stay there again.

    « OK »

The hotel was OK. Great location & friendly staff. However, they seem either very understaffed or possibly poor direction, not sure. The pool area was great -- the kids loved it ! However, there were hardly ever any towels available. Tip: Bring your own if you want to make sure they are available. The room -- was not bad. For the 3 nights we were there, housekeeping never came in our room. I did stop a couple of the girls and ask for clean towels, they were very friendly and gave their apology for not getting in our room yet. Looking down the hallway - they seemed to have a lot of work on their hands. However, our trash was overflowing and by the third day - was a bit annoying ! The internet did not work. I called the front desk and the girl gave me the number to Best Westerns IT center ? I felt this was something the hotel staff should be doing. I did call and they had to reset a router within the hotel, seemed kind of strange. The shuttle was a nice service, will take you and pick you up at the Mall. A big suggestion would be better organization at the front desk. These girls seem to work their rears off. The phones ring none stop and they are still expected to great customers. They do a good job - but it seems like there should be a person they just answers phones while the other 2 deal with incoming guests. The only real stand out for this hotel is the location - It is great. Pool comes in second best - ...

« Great location for Mall of America »

Located literally across the street from the Mall and right on the main road system that leads to the Interstates. Hotel has good rooms, a fine restaurant and other facilities e.g. swimming pool etc. Staff in the restaurant were brilliant. There did seem to be too few peole looking after the rooms as the dirty linen etc cluttered the corridor for some hours and we had to ring down for towels when we arrived. The staff we met, however, were charming and helpful and the price was very reasonable when you think of where it is located.

    « Basic services lacking »

Let me start by saying that I am very easy going but I feel the need to review this hotel negatively after too many disappointments during our 4 night stay. This is our second stay at this location and I must have been satisfied last time to return but won't make that mistake again. I booked on expedia and paid on average $147 a night. We were given the worst possible room since every person who would go for the continental breakfast would have to pass by our room in the morning making it very noisy and hard to sleep in. Apparently the hotel was filled when we asked at check in and could not get another room which conflicts what we heard later when chatting with staff. Day 1, our room was not cleaned. Apparently when we put out the do not disturb sign at 8 am and then removed it around 10 when we went out all day we were flagged as not to have our room cleaned. Day 2 when we returned in the evening after a full day out our room was not cleaned again even though we did not put out the sign. We went directly to the cleaning staff and tipped them to clean our room when we went out for dinner which they did but did not replace toilet paper or towels. Had to make a trip to the front desk for those. On the last day our room was cleaned but again no towels. Went to the desk again and were given damp ones. They could not provide dry ones for some reason. Internet is sketchy and not always available. Bedding is not a duvet but sheets and a blanket. Breakfast is decent with hot food provided. Good location right across from the mall. Would not recommend for the price.

    « Good stay »

Clean modern decor. Next to Mall of America. good breakfast.Nice pool. Cleaning staff everywhere. Easy check in. comfortable beds. Good water pressure. fine shampoo and soaps. Nice fitness center. All in all a satisfying stay. I would recommend BWMOA.

    « Showing it's age »

We've stayed here several times but this last will be our last. The hotel needs attention and more employees. Lots of issues in our room including stained walls and ceiling tiles, bathroom fan broken, furniture with noticeable chips/scratches, tub that won't drain and a shower with horrible water pressure. Too bad because it is a good location.

« Will try a different hotel next visit. »

Not sure what to think. There are many, many hotels in this area, and my family travels quite a bit, so we have stayed at many hotels. That being said, I didn't really like this hotel. The pool was freezing, and despite the fact that a wristband is required for entrance to the pool, nobody is there to check or supervise. People were carrying glass bottles and glasses in the pool area. The "hot" breakfast food was lukewarm. We had several security issues at check in that I won't elaborate on, but let's just say that we will stay somewhere else on our next visit to the area. The staff is very nice though, that was a plus. I wish I could give this hotel a good review, because the staff at check in was so nice, but I just can't.

    « Best employee service ! »

Booked three rooms for two nights each. Registration was smooth, employee's were very cordial. Rooms were nice and spacious (pool view rooms) they all had sliding glass doors with small veranda overlooking the pool 2nd floor. One of our rooms, the heat would not work. Office Manager Becky Hamilton was so excellent to deal with. She went over and above to make us happy. Kudos to a great service! Pool was nice for kids and adults. Very spacious. Very clean. Great staff!

« Have fun No worries »

From the wonderful staff to the clean rooms and great amenities you won't find a better place to take your family. We were a family of 7 adults and 2 children and NO complaints. How often does that happen?

« Good value near airport and mall »

This hotel worked well for my purposes, 1 night solo in transit. Close to the airport, and across the street from the Mall of America. Would be an especially good fit for those that are coming into town for purposes of shopping, especially if with kids as the pool is large and busy. The room was comfortable and clean though nothing fancy. Staff friendly, cannot comment on breakfast but it is included. Overall seemed a very good value, would stay here again if looking for a hotel near this location.

    « It was ok »

We stayed here on a recent trip to the MOA. It was cold in the room and the heat was not working properly, good thing we were only in the room a short time! I haven't been to many hotels where I would rather shower in my own versus the hotels, however this shower was gross, there were multiple hairs left in the tub and long black hairs on the shower curtain. For the price I would probably choose a nicer hotel next visit. They do offer a great complimentary breakfast!

    5
    « Great Family Hotel »

We stayed for the second year at this hotel. It is a great place for kids and adults. A room by the pool is the best. We sat on or "porch" and felt like we were outside (our stay was in December). The breakfast is very good and you are within walking distance of Mall of America.

    4
    « Wonderfully surprised! »

We chose to stay at this property due to its proximity to the MOA. The room was clean, quiet, and safe! I know the hotel went through a renovation recently, but the rooms are on the verge of being frumpy/worn. Perhaps time to give the rooms a little more TLC! Parking was great--ample spaces in a safe lot! The only let down was breakfast.. very, very disappointing. Overall, great value!

    5
    « Bring your Family »

This is probably one of the best hotels that I have stayed at ever. There is a pool for kids that isn't deeper than 2ft that makes pool time so much more relaxing. The kids love it and I love it!!! Also, they have probably the most comfortable beds and linens that I have experienced at any hotel!!! Also its located right across the street from the Mall of America.

    « 2 and a baby »

Traveling through the area with the family for Christmas, booked on hotels.com for a decent rate for a family on a budget and was within walking distance of the Mall of America. Restaurant in hotel and free breakfast that was quite expansive. The pool area was huge and had a nice kids area. Only complaint was we were put in a handicap room and it was not very convenient for my husband or child. Also at 8:30 AM housekeeping came around pounding on the doors to see if rooms were open...no cart look like they just got into work with their personal goods and were pounding on our door...but otherwise a nice visit and clean rooms.

    2
    « no heat/dirty »

no heat and used shampoo bottle and towel in shower. Also had not emptied the trash cans. When they fixed the heat problem then they left a mess in the shower that we had to clean before using. There was also no toilet paper in the bathroom

    3
« Very nice, but loud »

The hotel and room was very nice, however, the rooms were quite loud...specifically, the hair dryers. We were leaving at 3:00am for a flight so we were hoping to get a good nights rest but we were kept awake most of the night from hair dryers and general hall noise. We did the park-stay-fly package and that went well.

    « Great hotel,staff, breakfast and pool »

Great hotel. Clean, modern and very friendly staff. Wonderful pool for small kids and adults. Very close to the mall of america, but they offer a shuttle if you need it. We go to this hotels whenever in the twin cities area.

    4
    « Comfortable, Clean, Close »

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and very close to the MOA. The shuttles to MOA were VERY convenient. The pool area stays open later than most so it was great to be able to relax in the hot tub after a long day at the MOA.

    5
« Walking distance to MOA »

From the moment I checked into this hotel until I left, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming! The front desk took care of my needs, the shuttle bus drivers were very helpful, the bartender in the restaurant was attentive and the cleaning personnel was very thorough. My room was clean and comfortable. The pillows on the bed were outstanding! Plump and soft! The bed was a little saggy in the middle but still was comfortable for one person. I had drinks and food in the restaurant. Happy hour is from 3 to 6 and prices are great. Food was good. This hotel is next to the MOA and you can walk or have the shuttle drop you off at the other side of the mall. I did both depending upon where I wanted to shop. Price of staying at the hotel was very reasonable for the great location next to the MOA.

« Close to Mall of America »

We stayed here for one night during our visit to Mall of America. It was the right choice because it was close to the mall and the hotel provided shuttle services to the mall for 24 hours. Good breakfast, great service and good location.

    4
    « Shopping »

Right across the street from The Mall of America. Hotel provides shuttle rides to and from the mall and airport. Very quiet, nice room. Has nice pool area for small children. I did walk to the mall, l would not walk if it was cold. Restaurant on site. Nice breakfast area. I will be staying here again soon.

    « Great Stay! »

We loved our stay! Awesome shuttle service to and from the mall. The hotel was extremely clean, and well decorated. The breakfast was great. All staff were friendly and made you feel welcome! Overall, a great place to stay, I recommend this hotel to anyone going to the area! We will definitely stay here again!

    « Family Fun! »

We love your pool area and all of the fun water features in the children's pool. Our grandchildren had an absolute BLAST!! The RedRossa Italian Grille has a terrific menu. All six members of our party ordered a different dish off of the menu. We were pleased beyond WORDS at how fresh and perfectly prepared our selections were delivered. I would recommend that the hotel indicate on its web page that the RedRossa Italian Grille was open on Thanksgiving Day for a reasonably priced buffet. Had we known that, we would not have gone elsewhere to dine.

    5
    « Wonderful Experience! »

We were greeted by wonderful front desk staff who made us feel very welcome! Our shuttle to the Mall of America was very nice. Very nice rooms, modern and updated hotel with a wonderful breakfast area. The restaurant/bar is absolutely beautiful! Nice pool area for the kiddo:) Would definitely stay here again!

    « Lily's 1st birthday »

We had my daughter's first birthday party poolside at this hotel. Family and friends came and had a good time. Everyone noticed how busy the place was being it was a holiday weekend. I was very impressed with how clean and tidy the common areas and rooms were. Raquel was very helpful making sure we had everything we needed. she had plenty of other guests to help but made an extra effort to take care us. She went the extra mile. We will definitely be back because of her.

    5
« Great place to take your family »

Huge pool and shallow pool with water features, large hot tub all in a large central court area with natural lighting so you feel like you are outside. The breakfast was comprehensive with eggs, meat, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and waffle makers. Easy walk to the mall, frequent shuttles available to the mall and the airport. We will definitely come back to the hotel.

    5
« Send the kids to the pool »

Ok, so when on vacation it might occur that the parents would like some time together without the kid(s) in the room. Since most hotels don't provide kennel services for children it can be challenging to get rid of the brats in a safe, temporary, and legal manner. Well, this place is great. You can get a room overlooking the pool and send them down there...theoretically you can diligently watch over them from the balcony but nobody is going to call the police if you chain the door and cuddle under the covers for a bit. Plus the kids will love the pool. And you can easily walk to the Mall of America if that twiddles your mug.

    4
« Nice Hotel / Excellent Location for MOA »

Reliably good experience. Clean, comfortable room. Our room was on the highway side but we had no issue with traffic noise. We were also near the stairwell with lots of hallway noisier. Pool is very good for children - always crowded! Poolside rooms are available, which is nice for families. We have stayed there before when visiting Mall of America. Hotel has a very good, on-demand shuttle option, or you can make the 2 minute drive to Mall which has a free parking garage.

    2
    « Sheets are dirty »

We checked in today and when my husband turned down the covers there was popcorn in the bed. We phone the front desk and someone came about a half an hour later and changed that bed. I was surprised that they did not change both beds. How do i know if the other bed is clean? The sullied linens were left on the floor.

« Mall of America trip »

This was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at and the staff was outstanding. The rooms were spotless and looked brand new. The shuttle service was fantastic. The hotel was within walking distance of the overhead walkway to the Mall of America if you did not want to take the shuttle. This was a great experience and I will definitely stay here again if I return to Minneapolis.

    « Great Place »

What a nice place. Came up for a Twins game and stayed here with my husband and our two little kids. The pool was nice and fun for the kids to play in. The hotel was clean and very well taken care of. The breakfast was nice. It was close to and easy for us to get everywhere we wanted to go.

    « Wonderful Stay »

My husband had a training in Bloomington and I wanted to do some shopping, so I tagged along and stayed with him two nights at this hotel. He had the car, so I took advantage of the shuttle service. It runs every half hour and goes to local places-- nobody else was going when I went, so I got a solo ride to IKEA. The location is convenient, has free parking and free internet. LOTS to do close by-- the Mall of America and IKEA. Our room was VERY clean, comfortable and nice. The pool area is pretty awesome. There's a regular pool, a pool with fun kids stuff (spouts and slides) and a large, well designed hot tub. Breakfast was hot and delicious-- they had three waffle makers going, so there wasn't a long wait on them-- and plenty of other options. I *highly* recommend the restaurant (Bellarossa) attached to this location. We ate there the first night because we didn't feel like getting out in the rain. Their mozzerella sticks were delicious, pizzas were tasty (and rather large for a single person)-- but my favorite was the Chicken Marsala. It was SO good. So very good that we ate there once more before we left because my husband wanted to get it (I ordered it the first night). Overall, maybe one of the best hotel stays I've had. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and everything was immaculately clean.

« Great place to stay »

I recently stayed at Best Western Plus in Bloomington MN. I found the room clean and the staff very helpful and eager to please. The attached restaurant was delicious and fun. The complimentary hot breakfast was an added bonus. I highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

    4
    « Convenient to MOA »

Able to easily walk to MOA, comfortable bed, clean large room and nice staff. Good breakfast variety for a continental breakfast and dining area light and clean. The only real negative was the shower. There was not much shower pressure and it actually decreased a few times as if someone was flushing a toilet somewhere or something.

    4
« Very comfortable stay. Excellent staff. Outstanding Breakfast. »

I highly recommend this hotel. The beds are very comfortable, rooms and bathrooms are roomy, staff is helpful and friendly. And breakfast is definitely outstanding with lots of choices. It is convenient to the Mall of America and to the metro, which we really appreciated. The Mall is about a block away. The shuttle to and from the airport was prompt and courteous. The only thing that could be done better is to explain the "incidental" fee a little better. We arrived late at night and maybe didn't understand. You will be charged $20/day for possible damages. This fee isn't refunded until 5-6 days after you leave. Very nice place overall. Recommend.

« Yearly Trek to Minneapolis »

I have stayed at this Best Western a couple of times and have always enjoyed my stay. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. This trip was for a conference and I wasn't to pleased with the breakfast selection. You would think that the cook staff would have put a little effort into the breakfast items, but this was not the case.

    « Business Trip »

This hotel is wonderful. Very clean and staff are helpful. I would have given it a 10 but the lounge could use some customer service training. The food was great (I recommend the Salmon) The pool is wonderful for the kids with lots of room and tons of fun pool amenities. Location is perfect across from Mall of America.

    4
« Convenient, Clean, and Met our needs »

We selected this property due to its proximity to MOA, restaurants and access to 494 and 35. It is a located beside MOA, accessible by a walkway. The attached restaurant has a great menu selection, features friendly, efficient service and has 2 happy-hours! A complimentary breakfast is offered each morning with a decent selection of items, including fresh fruit. The pool is perfect for very little children, with a splash area and fountains, and good for play or wading, but not suited to lengths, if that's your preference. A hot tub is also on site. Our poolside room was surprisingly quiet, and we enjoyed the easy access via the patio doors to our "deck". We would recommend this hotel if you are traveling with family and plan to use transit, visit MOA, or want a relaxing, stay.

« What more can you ask!!!!!! »

Stayed during the 2015 Columbus Day weekend. The room was adequate with free wi-fi and an indoor pool that is "enclosed" of the hotel. The bedding was comfortable to sleep and relax. The hotel serve breakfast during the morning hours and does have a restaurant on the property. There are nearby restaurants like IHop, TGI Fridays, and Chevys (Tex-Mex Restaurant). You can also walk on over to Mall of America to eat and/or shop. They also provide shuttle service to the mall and to the airport (which is only about 10 minutes away).

« Great Location, Clean Comfortable Room and a Great Breakfast »

The location of this Best Western is perfect if you are in town to visit the Mall of America. Also it's extremely easy to get to, right off Killebrew Dr. At check in the desk staff was very courteous and helpful. We asked about the shuttle to MoA which was clearly answered and they were very clear in explaining the location of the breakfast room, pool area and such. Both of the shuttle drivers to and from MoA were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and well appointed for a hotel of this class. Large flat screen tv, microwave, refrigerator. We were pleased to see the commercial toilet in the bathroom as too many times we have had toilets in rooms that seem to barely flush. We did note the water pressure in our room was a bit low, but we managed alright. The complimentary breakfast was above average. We were impressed that they had 3 waffle irons and a dispenser for the batter with pre marked cups. Other wise the cheese omelets were as one would expect as were the sausage patties. The breakfast potatoes were cold, that was the only downside that we found. Otherwise the breakfast was above par compared to other hotels we have stayed at. The only down side we noticed was that sound really carried in the hallways. So it was a bit noisy in our room, but it quieted down early in the evening so it really didn't end up being an issue. All in all Best Western has impressed us again.

    5
    « Mall of America »

I heartily recommend this hotel if you are planning on a visit to the Mall of America. It certainly has that "resort" feeling to it. The rooms were larger than normal and the free breakfast was the best! It also provides free shuttle service to the mall.

« Bloomington Best Western Plus Hotel Stay »

My family and I stayed at the Best Western Bloomington Hotel during a recent vacation. We were planning on spending time at the Mall of America. The hotel was amazing for the price. The quality of the establishment and services and accommodations was very impressive for the price. The WIFI was very responsive and the breakfast was quite filling and good food. The Mall was a short walk from the hotel and they had a shuttle available which we did not need. I would recommend this facility to anyone, especially families with children and the pool is really nice. The rooms are extremely comfortable and quite.

    « Mall of America »

We loved our room at Best Western. The room was very open and roomy. Loved the fact that it was right by the Mall of America and it was a pool side room too. I liked that the room had a keurig. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

I read reviews before selecting this hotel and some were not the complimentary. I think there is a herd of chronic complainers walking around this planet who are never satisfied. But, my stay was very satisfactory. The place was clean considering the number of kids in the building during my stay. It was MEA week so that was expected since the Mall of America is right across the street. The light rail station is nearby and the lady at the front desk was very good in giving me directions to the station. The cost was very reasonable and the low water use toilet actually did its job in one flush. Even though my room faced a very busy Cedar Avenue the noise from the road was actually very low. All in all this is a hotel that I would stay at again. There are several nice eating establishments in easy walking distance.

« Over and above the call of duty »

The staff of this hotel went above the call of duty. We stayed at this hotel for a brief vacation and time at the Mall of America. Our toddlers were up all night during the second night of our stay. The staff, especially the front desk girls were very supportive as we cleaned up and even after check out were asking us if they could help in any way.

    « Great Experience »

Extremely helpful staff. Lots of shuttle destinations and a great location near the MSP airport and just across from the Mall of America--with access to the Metro rail and local bus service. Great indoor heated pool area.

    « VERY NICE »

I have stayed in this hotel twice now. I love the location as far as being close to everything, the rooms are very nice with the most comfortable beds and the staff is very helpful with whatever you request. The pool area is AWESOME! Some hotel pools and hot tubs leave much to be desired but this Best Western has a nice large pool and a wonderful hot tub that is always hot and clean.

    « Awesome! »

We checked in for one night. We chose this hotel based on location (close to train station) and cost. I don't know what was going on in Minneapolis on a weekday, but hotel costs were crazy high. We arrived early so we got one of the rooms that had just been cleaned, but it was quite far from the lobby. Our room was amazing!! We had not booked a suite, but that's what we got. The sitting room had a dining table for 5 and there was a pull out sofa and easy chair. There was also a TV in that room. In the sleeping area, we had a large, comfy king sized bed, another TV and easy chairs. We were disappointed that we weren't going to spend a lot of time in our room, it was that nice. We went to the restaurant on site for happy hour. They offer a very good variety and their HH prices are great. Our food was delicious and the beers were cold. Breakfast the next morning was pretty good, too. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to the mall or in need of the train. The only issue we had was with the shuttle. Instead of taking the guests (5 of us) to the mall and to the airport first (about 5 minutes away), we went south to Eagan to pick up 2 people who were shopping at the outlet mall (about 20 minutes away). We had a concert to get to and a 45 minute train ride ahead of us, so we were kind of concerned about being late.

    « Comfortable and Clean »

Nice stay during my conference. Easy with no hassles. Room seemed exceptionally nice for the money. Conference room (for the annual Minneapolis Airline Show/Sale and Get-together, put on by the Northwest Airlines NWA History Center) fully met expectations.

« Great Location - Close to Mall of America »

Excellent front desk persons , but shower head and sink very weak stream, beds comfortable, good breakfast. I would stay here again if price was right. Reasonably accessible to nearby highways. Colors a little on the darker side.

« Close to Mall of America »

Stayed here for a night while traveling. Close to Mall with on demand shuttle service. Room was clean and big. Desk staff was efficient, although not overly friendly. Shuttle driver friendly. Breakfast was good. No complaints.

« Hotel has horrible water pressure. »

This hotel is next to the Mall of America but has inadequate water pressure for a reasonable shower or for even brushing your teeth in the sink. The rooms are fairly nice and clean. Beds are good and no bed bugs. Front desk personnel seemed preoccupied in getting you processed and out of their hair. Overall, the location is great but with this inadequate water pressure for a decent shower it is off my list for a return stay.

« Great Home Base for Mall Visit »

My wife and I stayed here for her visit to MOA. Can walk right across the street and be there is minutes. Plus its not far of a walk to the transit station into downtown Minneapolis. Rooms were fine, nothing overtly memorable about them.

« Great place to stay »

The hotel is very updated. If you have young children the pool is a very cool place to play. You may want to get a room away from the pool though if you want more quiet. Overall my family enjoyed this hotel very much. It is close to Mall of America and you can get a shuttle from the hotel there. We will return again to this hotel!

    « Many good things »

This is a very large hotel with a courtyard pool complex. I had minimal interaction with the front desk people, but they gave me a map with the wrong room marked on it. I would have wandered forever, but ran into to the shuttle driver (great guy) who helped me find the room. The room was huge and clean, with a lot of nice amenities. Breakfast was a slightly better grade of American chain hotel dismalness. They do have sausage and eggs in additional to the chemistry experiment waffles and pastry. All the 'dishes' are paper, but at least they aren't styrofoam (see my Travelodge review). Excellent shuttle to the airport.

    « Moderately Acceptable »

We missed our flight and needed an overnight stay. The airport offered us a traveler's rate and we called and were offered a good rate at this hotel. Unfortunately, that seems to have given us second class standing, as we were given a downstairs room poolside, with loud families outside until 11 pm and zero privacy should you wish to let in some sunlight in the morning. They wouldn't move our room due to the special rate. The pool looked like fun if you're a family or if you're young and want to stay up late. But for a weary traveler, it wasn't ideal. Other rooms would likely be quieter if you don't get the special rate. The room itself was comfortable and the staff efficient. In a pinch, it would do.

    « Housekeeping is non-existent! »

We left our room this morning to go to a meeting. One small knapsack was left sitting on the foot of the bed. When we returned this evening, the room was not cleaned and there was a note left that said "Sorry I could not make your bed do (sp) to your bag on it. Thanks" There was dirty dishes from room service last night that were not taken away. Room wasn't vacuumed, and needless to say, the bed wasn't made. I would never stay here again. The competition a block away is much better.
