« Clean, bright comfortable room; friendly staff--enjoyed my stay! »

Room was clean and attractive; comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Great hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and sausage gravy. Had a lot of condiments including whipped cream for waffles!! Also had cold cereals, yogurt, fruit, bagels, juices, hot beverages. Was on first floor; no elevator. Could hear TV from next room through wall/adjoining door. Bathroom was great with full tub and shower. All non-smoking so place did not smell bad!! I had asked them to not spray (perfume) my room. Had ironing board and refrigerator. Could have used a few more plug-ins. Location is a little hard to find; no signage from main road. They need a big sign; even the building does not have a sign except for small letters on the door glass. I had to stop and ask where they were located. They are right next to Angus & Ale Restaurant; had a nice lunch there! Enjoyed my stay.

« Excellent reservationist. Very clean, staff extra friendly »

I have to give a great big shout out to Kristy Crisp at Best Western in Greenville NC who helped me book this trip for my wife and I to take my elderly parents to a special family event. Kristy Crisp is awesome and if you need a reservation call her in Greenville at the Best Western. This hotel in West Virginia was very clean, well maintained, friendly staff and easy access. Great views all around the town.

« A good hotel for business or pleasure »

We stay at the Berkeley Springs Best Western all the time. The rooms are clean and relatively quiet (especially on the 2nd floor) and the location is convenient to restaurants and other shops. The service is great. Our number one choice in the area always.

    3
« Decent beds but other issues »

Motel was average; not welcomed in a way that made me feel they were glad to have my business. Lamp in the room had plugs at the base that did not work. Five or six cats running around the parking lot that went around moving vehicles. When we asked about why we were told to feel free to take one home. No concern for the cats or the people in the parking lot.

    3
    « Average place »

We stayed on second floor in a family room with 3 beds. Room was clean enough, but had an odor to it. Quiet. Breakfast was okay, except the coffee machine was broken. I had orange juice instead. There were about 8 friendly cats in the parking lot to greet us when we departed. We arrived at night and drove past it once. The sign out along the road is down low - a little hard to see. We were looking for a large sign!

« Comfortable hotel, friendly, helpful staff, good coffee »

We chose this hotel as a decent hotel on a slightly more than halfway point to Richmond, VA. My traveling partner found it and was intrigued by the history of the Berkeley Springs (which we did visit briefly before we left the next morning). Hotel is a bit hard to find but once there, all was good. Small but nice lobby with a few good souvenirs and coffee available 24 hours. Good breakfast, tasty sausage gravy and biscuits, fill up the coffee mug for the drive out the next day.

« my stay in Berkeley Springs »

Best Western was nice other then the toilet seat,it was broken. told the desk, what nothing done. With handicapped wife, not good. Dangerous . Other then that all good. Yes I would stay there again. But check the toilet seat.

    « NASTY STAFF »

First, walls are paper thin. Could hear neightbors many rooms down. Second, the older woman who was running the desk on Sat 10/2/2016 was extremely ignorant and rude. I went to car after midnight so the security card had expired. Therefore, I went to front desk and asked to have it reset but gave the woman the wrong room number. She asked me if I "was dyslexic", I replied "EXCUSE ME!?" So she raised her voice above mine to repeat herself asking I was dyslexic. My first instinct was to put her in her place swiftly. 1 a.m. just was not the time. Its unfortunate since I will be traveling in the area looking to purchase property. I will be staying in another WV town. I did take a corporate comment card and will be mailing directly to them.

« Berkeley Springs Motel Review »

We enjoyed our stay here very much and would recommend it highly to any one coming to this area. The service is great and the food is great. The staff was very kind and helpful to us at all times. We would stay here again with no problems.

« Very clean and green! »

Our stay was pleasant! The room was very clean and we had a special "germ friendly": remote control which was a nice touch! The cleaning crew however did start cleaning rooms a little early in the am (8am). Other than that, our stay was pleasant!

    2
« Not up to best western standards »

This hotel was not up to the normal best western standards that i am a custom to. The cabel service was terrible the voice was 20 seconds behind on the picture. The walls were paper thin, the exhaust fan in bathroom was so loud the one in the room next to us was just as loud as you could also hear it. they left it on when they went out for hours. The carpeting and bedding was old. If you are allergic to cats don't go they have many resident cats that hang around out side the door. Parking is limited and with a party at the restaurant next door there were no parking parking spots left for the hotel guest.

    3
« Good for overnight stay »

PROS: Friendly staff, older but very well maintained hotel. Interior hallway which is well lit, good secure entries. Mattress is okay, not great, but not awful, does for a night. Breakfast is typical cold stuff and waffle maker. CONS: Holy crap, don't arrive to this place at night, you can barely find the place. You see the sign and are like...where's the hotel? There's no lights leading to the hotel and it's tucked away down the road and up a hill. However, the big negative are the walls, they're paper thin and you can hear everything.

« Great place to stop »

I recently stayed again at the Best Western in Berkeley Springs. I believe this was about my seventh time staying there. It is in a good location, you just have to search for the entrance. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is a nice addition to have a good meal before getting on the road again. There is an outside heated pool which I have not taken advantage of yet. The front desk staff have always been friendly and efficient in checking me in at whatever time I have showed up. The Best Western is always my first choice to stop at when I've travelling farther south from home!

    4
    « enjoyed »

Very much enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and the hotel was very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. The hot breakfast items were as good as any restaurant. I would definitely recommend any to stay at this Best Western. You will not be disappointed

    « Berkeley Springs »

Hotel is friendly with a great breakfast. Motorcycle parking under roof is a plus. Heated pool was very nice. Location is really good as this is always a stop for us while on the motorcycle while in West Virginia.

    5
    « Excellent and Reliable »

The Berkeley Springs Best Western is well-run and comfortable. We feel like it's our home away from home. The bedding is very clean and fresh. The room is spacious enough for 2 nights plus. The internet works and the cable tv offerings are extensive. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good and there is always hot coffee. I recommend this hotel hands down to anyone who asks.

    3
« Nice stop for travelers »

Upon driving up to property we were impressed with the rustic appeal of the location in WVA. Rooms were ok, nothing special, clean and simple decor. Outdoor heated pool was ok except rules of no food or drink seemed silly since it appeared to be a gathering spot for families. Also attached is a room they rent for parties but that didn't impede parking of hotel guests. While breakfast was included we didn't take advantage. Cute town around the area. Was perfect for a one night stay.

    4
« Best Hotel in the Area! »

I spend several hours looking for hotels in the area. This Best Western was exactly what we were looking for! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is traveling through the area and looking for a clean, safe and friendly hotel.

    5
« my stay at best western berekley wva »

the overall stay at this motel was excellent. the only thing is the coffee maker wasn't working. the ck\\leaning crew could vaccum better in the corners. other then that the room was clean and comfortable.

  • 4
    « Friendly »

Quiet motel with pool. The room was spacious, clean and the staff courteous and helpful. The bed was comfy and the air conditioner quiet enough to sleep comfortably. While the pool was murky the water was warm and soothing.

    3
« Nice room but dirty bathroom »

I've stayed here several times before and always had a good experience. On this trip though my husband went to use the toilet and lifted the seat and there were poop splatters under the seat. I also found a dirty toothpick on the bathroom floor. Gross.

    4
« Comfortable for overnight on road trip »

Decent place for a road trip. Nothing special, but clean, well lit, firm beds, lots of hot water, decent wi-fi, working fridge, microwave in breakfast area that is available throughout the day (and with tables to eat at), helpful staff, close to good supermarket -- actually, for a road trip motel to hit all those points does make it a bit special. Not dirt cheap, but full value for money. Didn't try the pool, but willing to believe that it would have been refreshing

    4
« Nice place to stay »

Quick stay at Best Western in Berkeley Springs, WV. Considered the price a little high for my quick stay, but my friend already had reservations. Joined Best Western Rewards program for a discount. A bit hard to find the driveway from my GPS. Nice building. Room was comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Actually had too many pillows, but more is better! Toilet ran, but fixed it. Good shower. Definitely would stay again.

    4
    « Go-to spot in Berkeley Springs »

Inexpensive with a decent restaurant right in the parking lot :) Seems a little strange that the pool is behind the restaurant, but I guess it works. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Spotted a raccoon taking a walk next to the parking lot.

« Helpful Staff, Nice Accomodations »

Was helped greatly by Dolores at the front desk after a long and stressful day of driving and encounters. I was a late arrival without a reservation, and Dolores got me settled in a nicely-appointed and clean room while at the same time the hotel appeared very full. Breakfast was nice and staff was very pleasant. I gave a great review because I travel a lot and don't usually have a reservation due to many circumstances. I have often thought I chose a good hotel, based on reviews and name and appearance but have had the room and other accomodations to be greatly lacking. This time the choice was rewarded with a good night's sleep in a clean and well-functioning room :-)

« Comfortable hotel in Berkeley Springs, WV »

The town is charming...and this hotel is a comfortable and quiet place to stay. It is located only a few blocks away from the mineral springs and many little shops and eateries. Very friendly front desk staff... and a quiet place to sit outside for breakfast.

    3
    « One Man Show »

Unacceptable treatment of one person to check in-check out guests, prepare breakfast for a full hotel, answer calls, make reservations, assist guests, do the laundry and ...... "Modern Day Slavery". Wonderful and friendly front desk people. VERY MUCH overworked and underpaid.

    3
« Friendly staff great breakfast however rooms reek of unclean animal odors. »

Feel so bad about having to write this review as Delores at front desk is so kind and friendly and the hotel visually appealing from the outside and with a clean pool and nice breakfast in the morning. However I need to mention the room and hallways during my stay with my wife. The overwhelming odor of animal dander and moldy stench was completely overwhelming when we entered our room, which we had changed as the first room had the same reek. The rugs are so old and worn and I have since found out the hotel is pet friendly (meaning their is bound to be animal accidents on the rugs and floors and hallways) so unless you tear up the rug or steam clean a moldy unclean stench of reeking foul animal odor is what you will get when you stay there. This is not a mild smell and actually attached to our clothes, and we were so disgusted we left after one night and cancelled our second nights stay. Thank God we are not allergic to animal dander because I am sure if someone is allergic it may hinder their breathing and they may have a unhealthy reaction to the stench emitted from the rugs floors and hallways at this hotel. If this was repaired I would give this place 5 stars. However the odor was unvelievable, I cannot fathom how anyone who works there does not know this and any owner could ignore this. Also our room had a nest of yellow jackets hornets directly out side our window, that couldn't get in as our windows were sealed but again as I mention the stench and odor I may have risked hornet attack then to breathe that foul air and odor. Sorry guys I wanted so much to love your hotel as the other 3 best westerns we stayed at were all u like this one being clean and comfortable. Please fix this disgusting condition cause I am sure no one stays more then a night after enduring the first and feels as played as I do having stayed there.

« Thanks for another great stay! »

Our 2nd stay as we pass through to the Outer Banks on annual family vacation. 2 adults, 2 kids. This is a great stop to break up a long drive. Positives * Clean * Friendly staff * Outdoor Pool (no hot tub) * Free Breakfast * Free computer/printer in lobby * Very good wi-fi Things to note: 2 story, no elevator, if you have mobility issues request bottom floor room Pet friendly (not something I like but we had no issues) On-site restuarant, we didnt use but there is Dairy Queen within walking distance NO gym but you may use the health center next door for $4, great facility Breakfast area very small but your room has a table so you can take it there Mcdonalds/Food Lion grocery store/Sheets gas right down the road Suggestions Carpets in room need upgrading Some Towels need to be tossed, many had noticeable stains Breakfast area needs someone constantly servicing, trash bins full so we had to leave dirty plates on table Room 118, Sink/tub drains draining a bit slow and toilet seat a bit wobble, needs changed out Overall, great stay and we will return

    « Not great! »

We arrived late, and when we checked our bed for bedbugs (which we always do), we found a dead beetle on the mattress. When we brought it down to the front desk, we were told that stink bugs had been used to kill off the ladybug infestation they had, and this was a stray! No offer for any deduction of room change.

« Best Western Berkeley Springs, WV »

I recommend this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable; the staff very friendly and helpful; and the pool perfect. The restaurant was quite good with a large menu, a lot of specials and a great selection of craft beers.

    4
« Just what we needed »

Since we travel with a pet, our overnight options are limited. It's good to stay at a pet friendly hotel like this one. They even have a heated pool, a wash-off area. and a nice restaurant. Their breakfast was healthy and enjoyable plus the location is convenient for visiting this historic town.

    4
    « Great stay. »

We stayed overnight in the family suite. A king bed for us and two single beds for our children. The hotel was up to date and very clean. The staff at the front desk especially the one who checked us in are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Berkley Springs WV.

    4
« Nice hotel for traveling through »

We have stayed at this Best Western at least once a year for the last 6-7 years when visiting for a annual family picnic. The hotel and room are always clean and staff is very friendly. Includes expanded continental breakfast which is great before hitting the road in the morning. There is an outdoor pool just outside the front door across the parking lot. Free Wifi and parking. This is the only chain hotel in the area. We will continue to stay here annually.

    4
« Nice for the price »

The hotel is about 5 minutes outside of Berkeley Springs. There is an almost hidden entrance but my GPS got me here with no problems. It is clean and quiet with decent amenities. Breakfast every morning, heated pool and there is a restaurant (Angus and Ale) that shares the parking lot. There are also other places to eat on the road as you approach the longish driveway to the hotel. There are no elevators. It was not a problem for me but I did overhear an elderly guest who would have preferred to not walk the approximately 15 (split) stairs. The front desk staff were pleasant. As you exit the hotels driveway, a left turn takes you to Berkeley Springs. A right turn and 10 minute drive takes you to Capacon State Park. I learned that there is a fee to enter the beach side. Kayak rental is a short drive from the beach and costs $10 for 1 hour, $5 for half.

    « Not A Good Visit »

We stopped at this hotel because it was one of the only chain names that we recognized in Berkeley Springs. They were sold out for the night and the one guy cleaning rooms on our floor didn't finish cleaning rooms until almost 7. We also failed to see or hear a vacuum at any point during that cleaning which might explain the food crumbs on the floor in our room. Also, women's hair found in bed, on sink, and a note that appeared on the mirror while in the shower written in the condensation some days before on the mirror that said "I love you" which means the mirror was not cleaned ir cleaned well in who knows how long. The beds were very old, springy, stiff, and lunmpy. The toilet was one of those almost completely circle seats, which I hate, vice the elongated ones. Lots of disappointment. The hotel was in a safe area with a nice restaurant in tbe same parking lot though. Not all bad.

    5
« A nice way to end the trip »

This was the 5th hotel on our journey. It was the most comfortable room wise as far as a/c unit. The room was large, bed comfortable. It is off the highway, so traffic is minimal. Breakfast was plentiful. Small breakfast room but the outdoor seating was nice in the morning. Enjoyed the outdoor pool. Only drawback I can mention is that the room did not have a microwave.

    5
    « Great Get Away »

We come to this hotel every summer, sometimes twice. It is relaxing, the rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and the breakfasts aren't bad. The area (Berkeley Springs is cute and fun with no crowds.

    4
« Nice stay and economical »

Another nice stay at a BW. They have provided good accommodations the last 3 times I stayed at one of their sites. I hope it continues because they offer great rates which has included a full breakfast in all of my stays.

    « Amazing find! »

This hotel was an amazing find for us roadtrippers!! We didn't have a set plan on where we'd end up for the night and found this through the hotel tonight app. It was clean and comfortable. The people were so friendly. We got up early to swim in the heated pool which was also very clean!

    4
    « Great Staff »

First time in Berkeley Springs West Virginia. At the check in Delores was one of the most helpful employees I have ever worked with, very kind and very caring about my happiness. I would would stay here anytime. She went above and beyond her duty to accommodate me and help me out during a very stressful situation with work. Thank you Dolores.

    5
« Stop on way to North Carolina »

Great place to stay, staff was very helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. Planning on going back in the near future for an extended stay. Interesting town with lots to see and do. Only concern - the sign at the roadside entrance does not say Best Western.

    4
    « Great Value »

The room was nice, very clean and the people were friendly. The continental breakfast was great! Above and beyond what you get at most hotels. They could have used a bigger staff though. We had to wait in line at the front desk to ask for towels that night for at least ten minutes. Also, in the morning, the girl running the front desk was also in charge of the breakfast station. She was running around like crazy. I felt bad for her. She was trying to check people out, change trashcans, fill up the maple syrup, etc.

    5
« Clean hotel with excellent customer service »

My sister and I stayed for two nights. Upon our arrival, we found that the AC was not working properly in our room. We called the front desk, and within a minute or two, a kind gentleman came up to look at the unit. Within less than 10 minutes, he found another room for us...and problem solved! We were extremely happy with his prompt service. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was okay. I would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « pleasant experience »

I am so happy that I stayed at the best western hotel Berkeley Springs inn. The staff was happy and helpful, especially Angela and Dolores. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was very good. I will definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Good »

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was good and had many choices. Located on a Quiet street. Restaurant is fairly priced and good food. Not a lot to do in this area, but a good place to relax.

    4
    « A Hidden Gem »

Keep your eye out for the Best Western Sign so you can make the turn on Southridge Road or you may miss the turn. The motel is not visible from the road. There are small arrow signs directing you up the hill. We decided to stay in a motel rather than bunking with family on this visit to the area. The motel has all the amenities that you would expect in a higher priced chain: four pillows, flat screen TV, granite counters in the BR, coffee pot, curved shower rod, wireless internet. We stayed two nights. I was pleased to see that the wi-fi connection stayed over the two days. I did not have to login every time I wanted to use it. The breakfast included protein, scrambled eggs and sausage gravy which was nice in addition to the usual breads, muffins, bagels, waffle maker, juice, and cereals. The bathroom sink stopper was not attached to the lift rod, so when I closed the stopper, I could not open it. It was fixed shortly after I reported it.

    3
« Nice folks but the rooms need work »

I see many positive reviews of this hotel. Maybe my room was unique, but I doubt it. First off, the folks are very nice. They have a motorcycle wash and parking area which is a cool amenity. My room was an odd contrast of clean, well maintained bathroom and relatively tidy room offset by stained and dingy carpet and furnishings. The chairs had been spot cleaned and looked awful...time to toss those. For almost $100 a night, I will look elsewhere next time I'm in the area. This is an obviously re-worked older facility that has a lot going for it but needs more work.

    2
    « Noisy »

There are not too many hotels in Berkeley Springs so you are limited. If noise does not bother you then this is your hotel. We had a room on the first floor and about 4:00 am in the room above there was noise and squeaking of floors. Definitely did not have a relaxing sleep.

  • 3
    « Pet Friendly wish I knew »

When we made our reservations the hotel said they were not pet friendly, when we checked in they now are, this would have saved us a lot of money for this trip. The hotel was nice and the staff friendly however you could hear the people next door and on the upper level.

    4
    « Great Choice »

Passing through Berkeley Springs, WV on our way home from PA, we decided to stay the night and head back in the morning. We checked Trip Advisor and found a great rate and good reviews for this hotel and decided to place a reservation using the Trip Advisor app. Everything worked out great. The hotel sits back off the road and is a little hard to see at night. There is a little sign near the road that shows you where to turn and the GPS was working. You turn into a little service type road that takes you to the top of the hill where the hotel is located. Our host, Dolores was charming and delightful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and consists of Belgian waffles, biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and sausage as well as pastries, yogurt, and bagels. Coffee is available 24/7 in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again while in Berkeley Springs.

    4
    « Great Little Getaway »

The Town of Berkeley Springs is fascinating. Off the beaten track, a little eccentric, interesting history, and wonderful people. Everyone we passed stopped to speak to us - people rich in knowledge about homeopathy. The Cacapon State Park is absolutely beautiful and our next trip.

    5
    « clean, great experience »

This hotel has very friendly accommodating staff. The maid service staff was very friendly and looked professional. They allowed me to check in a little early since they had a room available. The breakfast was a hot breakfast and good. I would change the start time to 6 am during the week. The rooms are big and the beds are comfy. We had 6 rooms for our team and all were very good.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

We always stay at the hotel when in Berkeley Springs. Rooms are always clean, and beds are very comfortable. The on property restaurant is really great - food (especially the steak) are truly excellent.

    4
« Terrific Staff, very nice hotel »

Upon check in, Delores was very helpful in providing names of places in the area to dine including the on site restaurant. After dinner we had a great time chatting with her about our experiences on our trip. Our room was clean and comfortable, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

    3
« Know your job or leave »

We have stayed at this hotel many times and most of the staff is very good however we encountered one staff member that was informed the internet was not operating and did not put out the effort to resolve the problem or even inform guests that the problem could or could not be resolved. Many guests need the internet to communicate with family or business. I guess this staff member had many more important tasks to perform or just did not have a clue how to resolve this issue. I suggest you train this staff member on how to resolve this issue when it arises so she can get back to the more important tasks she needs to perform when internet goes out and the guests can't communicate to their family or business associates and this staff member could care less.

    5
    « Enjoyable hotel »

We enjoy the Best Western and really like the renovations and breakfast. The hotel staff are excellent. We needed to change our bed choices and they were able to accommodate the change in minutes. The new breakfast is very wide in the offering and very convenient.

« Great time and friendly people »

My husband and I went to Berkeley Springs for a baby shower and what a great time we had. Hotel was next to the shower and the food was great there. The breakfast at the hotel was awesome and very nice friendly people at the front desk. The place was very clean and the pillows were wonderful!!!

    5
« Great value, pleasant experience »

This Best Western is by far the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed in. The beds were very comfortable, comparable to a Hampton Inn or other better hotel chain. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful in recommending places in the area. The complimentary breakfast was a hot breakfast with all the quality items you would expect. The hotel was clean and well maintained. I have stayed here twice in 2016 and will stay again. Good value

  • 2
« Dated property, be prepared »

The property needs a remodel. The bathroom door and walls have been repaied several times, the WiFi did not work, the towels smelled burnt and were rough, they missed my wake up call, no AC near the workspace, I saved money by staying here, but at a price. If you need a room in Berkeley Springs, be prepared for a just-barely acceptable experience.

    4
« Comfortable stop on the way to Grandmas »

Hotel is always comfortable and safe. Restaurant next door is very convenient. Would recommend staying on the 2nd floor to avoid hearing people above you. There is no elevator - so pack light! Free breakfast is a plus.

« Impromptu visit to Berkeley Springs »

On the spur of the moment we decided to visit the Springs with our dog. We didn't know the area, and the folks at the Cacapon State Park recommended the Best Western. While not in the town of Berkeley Springs, we clocked it at 9 minutes outside of town. Place was clean, staff friendly. DELORIS at the front desk was delightful!

« Typical Best Western...Forget the Hot Tub Experience »

Booked this location because we wanted a hot tub in our room. The good points...tub was filled when we entered the room and the tub was clean. The bad points...only one set of jets functioned. No temperature control. You cannot drain the tub on your own. The tub is literally feet from the bed so the whole room feels like a sauna after you use the tub. Tub motor is noisy so unless you plop the cover back on after use, be prepared for a constant motor noise. Luxury hotel and romantic setting, this hotel is not. Reminded us of a truck stop location. Staff was super friendly. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room was clean. Breakfast area rather small and typical BW crap breakfast which we have come to despise the older we get. TV was great with a relatively good selection of channels. As BW Rewards members with BW as our go to hotel, this place ranks in the average category. We have had worse, and we have had far better. For the area, this place appears to be very welcome respite compared to the other "stuff" we passed coming in.

    « Quick nice stay »

Room was spacious, clean, tv newer, and breakfast was good- eggs, Belgian waffles, sausage, etc. the hotel was quiet. Decent price & short drive to the state park/spa. I would definitely stay here again should I find myself in the area. The town is quaint and has a few dining options.

    « Very nice »

I gave this a 5 star rating because it's a great hotel for what it is. It's not a luxury resort but the hotel is very clean and comfortable. I stayed here for a weekend and really liked the staff and the rooms were modern and very nice. There is a breakfast included in your stay, and the hotel is in a very convenient location, really enjoyed my stay

    « Clean! »

We had just spent 5 nights at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, One night at a Clarion, and one night at Champions World Resort in Florida. We stayed here to wait out the ice storm that we had been driving through almost the entire day. This place was by far, the cleanest place we stayed in the entire trip. It even out-shined Disney! That's something to be proud of!

    « Good reliable quality »

The Berkeley Springs Best Western has it all figured out. I have stayed at this motel numerous times and can count on it for good service and a clean and comfy room. I only wish the internet speed was faster. Apart from that this is my favorite weekend getaway.

    « Great Hotel! »

The staff was soooooo friendly and very helpful! We had a very clean room and were able to get 3 rooms all together which isn't always possible for our bunch. Great breakfast which was included-hot and cold buffet!

« Best Western Exceeded my expectations »

I don't normally stay in a Best Western; some are nice, others so-so. However the one in Berkeley Springs had good ratings and the Inn by the Berkeley Springs State Park was way too expensive. So my granddaughter and I tried it. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, comfortable beds and pleasant atmosphere. The free hot breakfast bar also had a satisfactory selection. The staff were warm and friendly. I recommend highly.

    « Pretty Nice »

We booked the whirlpool room for a romantic get away. We could not control the jets and the tub had to be drained and filled by staff ~ Keep this in mind if planning to use the hot tub in room. The breakfast was not great, maybe ok but it was free. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

« Clean, Flesh and Good breakfast! »

Everything was more than expected for the money. No bad smell in the room or in the hallway--Smelling in the room had been the most concern of my trip at most cases. Looks like it was remodeled not a long ago. Also, it was pretty decent breakfast!

    « Very Pleased »

Very clean, excellent staff. Can't beat the value. I would recommend to anyone who wants a clean place to stay with helpful staff. Not a lot of frills but it's not that type of hotel. Close to shopping, about 2-3 miles from tourist shops and the springs.

    « Berkeley Springs, WV »

Very good service, but could not get internet connection. Tried to get assistance from hotel staff, but was unsuccessful to get connection.Tried to use nearby restaurant wifi, but that failed as well. Had a good time time otherwise.

« Friendly, clean, and helpful »

We stayed for a nearby funeral and made last minute reservations. One of our two rooms was dated but both clean and comfy. Breakfast was hot and tasty if limited. Deloris at the front desk was extremely helpful.

« Best Western Berkeley Springs »

Have stayed at this BW before- comfortable stay, friendly helpful staff. The turnoff from the main road is easy to miss though. A nice restaurant next door. Would recommend it if in the Berkeley Springs area

    « Not a Spa Suite »

Whatever they call a Spa Suite is just a regular room with one bed and a hot tab with better/stronger jets turned off permanently. Because the hot tab is always on, the humidity in the room is quite high. But the worst part is that the hot tab turns on automatically like every 15 minutes even at night so we couldn't get a good sleep. There were other issues with the service. There weren't any body lotion although I'd think it's now a standard. The bathrobes were very old and teared up and one didn't even have a belt (how do one wear a bathrobe without a belt?). The refrigerator was set to such a cold that a water bottle we put in overnight froze completely. We paid quite a bit extra to stay in this ?suite? and it was a waste.

« Very welcoming and friendly hotel, but beds uncomfortable. »

We really did have a delightful visit in Berkeley Springs with my brother/sister-in-law staying at the Best Western Berkeley Springs Inn. The view and setting were lovely, the staff very accommodating and friendly and the facilities very clean and up-to-date. My only complaint would be the beds. Probably one of the worst hotel beds I've been in for awhile. Dressed nicely but so hard and although supposed to be a queen, was no more than a full. But everything else was so nice I still recommend the Inn highly - I just encourage the Inn to consider updating their mattresses.

« Decent Rate and Free Breakfast- Needs an Update »

We made reservations to stay here en route from Michigan to Virginia, to visit our children. I was fooled by the Trip Advisor Award on this hotel. I recommend driving by and staying at the newer Marriott Courtyard in Winchester if you want a nicer place to stay. I thought we would be closer to the Springs, but actually a few miles away, and you need to drive there due to busy road. Our room was large, but very old and when I tried to adjust the heating unit, which by the way, is a separate unit, not central, it fell off the wall! Well, that revealed filthy filters...ugh! When I mentioned this at checkout, the response was " oh, I guess we should clean it." Also, although we paid for 3 persons in our room, when it came time to shower, I had to go to desk for enough towels, and there was no recognition of this being kind of inconvenient at 6:45 a.m. I will not stay here again.

« Spent an overnight to visit the spa »

I met friends to go to the spa for an overnight. The room was clean comfortable and the desk staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Free breakfast was quite good. I plan to come back. The restaurant next door (Angus and Ale)was also excellent

« Comfy, Cozy, and Clean »

A well thought out hotel with many comforts. There is a fan and heat lamp in the bathroom, a "clean" TV remote, 4 fluffy pillows on each comfortable bed, no icky comforters, electric outlets at the lamp base on the bedside table for easy phone charging, and a quiet heating system. I really enjoyed my stay here.

« Solid and as expected »

Look, it's not the Ritz Carlton or even a Hampton Inn, and to compare it to a Ritz would be unfair. It's a Best Western. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. It was perfect for our overnight, and we could probably do a couple more nights easily if needed. It's not soundproof, but it's not overly noisy. The appliances worked. The bed had a tiny squeak upon lying down but otherwise was firm, comfortable, and quiet. The HVAC was steady, not intermittently noisy, and comfortable. We've been here three times in our travels through the area and would gladly return. Glad we found the restaurant thirty feet away, too!

« Great bargain for the money!! »

We spent 2 nights here. It was quiet, the King suite we had was huge and updated. Bed was wonderful, mini kitchen great, and nice clean bathroom with great water pressure! Be sure to eat at the Angus and Ale across the parking lot! We thoroughly enjoyed out stay!

    « Most Unpleasant »

Since I travel for business and pleasure a great deal I can say that the Berkeley Springs Best Western has the least professional manager that I have ever personally encountered. At morning check out I showed staff the picture of the LARGE bug in my bathroom. She told me she would have the manager call me. Two days later he did finally respond telling me that the unpleasant problems that I described to him were irritating to him. Also by letting him know that the air conditioner was not working in the room, smoke smells were experienced in a non smoking room, there was a bug on the lobby floor and four weeks of dust, hair and particles under the coffee supplies I was blackmailing him. What was I thinking!!! I should have enjoyed the West Virginia charm more. You all come back now....yah hear.....NOT!

« Ok for one night »

The hotel is Not in a great part of town. It's old and somewhat redone. The staff was nice and friendly. Garbage strewn in parking lot, feral cats, poor signage. I would stay somewhere else next time.

« No Regular Coffee on Sunday Morning »

No elevator, no lids for cups, and no regular coffee on Sunday morning. They ran out but couldn't go to a nearby grocery and buy some. Box springs are old and dirty and the bed spreads look like they are from the 80s.

    « Apple Butter Festival »

We have always stayed at the Berkeley Springs Best Western for the last 14 years that we have attended the Apple Butter Festival. The hotel is fine. Our rooms are always clean and comfortable. The internet was a bit slow, but that is not a big deal. We had adjoining room and one room had a slow draining sink which was annoying, but not major. We did not report it to management because we forgot to. Overall our experience was fine and we have already re-booked for next year.

    « Main Stay »

We attend the Apple Butter Fesitval each year. It is a good location that is just far enough out to miss all of the high volume of people and traffic, but yet close enough to get to everything. We book for the next year when we check out.

« Complimentary earplugs should be a consideration »

People writing other reviews make remarks about the lack of an elevator. This is nothing compared to how easily sound travels through the walls. We were forced to listen to other guests tv's, a party that lasted until after 11 pm, conversations, doors slamming, you name it, we heard it. The only exception was that we did not hear people using their bathrooms. I don't know why this was the case, but you can be sure we would've checked out early. The beds were great, but we didn't get much sleep. The breakfast is very good, but could not make up for how awful the sound problem is. We were on the 2nd floor and had a queen suite near the top of the center stairs.

    « Good night's rest »

The room was clean and arranged in a very appealing fashion. Having a restaurant directly across from the hotel made it even more appealing after a 7-hour drive. The only drawback was the continental breakfast. With it being a weekend, the serving times were fine but the lack of room to accommodate entire traveling groups and families was disappointing. My husband & I went elsewhere for breakfast.

    « Excellent facility »

Easy to find. Excellent, friendly service. Breakfast very good. Basic, clean room one would expect. Excellent value compared with experience at another facility that offered too much and charged too much. Felt comfortable and safe.

    4
    « Worth the money »

Hotel wasn't the easiest to find but once we got there everything seemed clean and room smelled fresh. Breakfast wasn't the greatest and neither was the restaurant. But everyone was friendly and our stay was worth the price compared to other places in the area.

    « Best Western...Best Bargain! »

For the past 5 years we have spent some time at the Best Western Inn at Berkeley Springs. The cost, breakfast, location, and pool are wonderful. The restaurant next door is great. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

    « Restfull night's sleep »

Very well located in country atmosphere. Quiet place to rest after an hectic driving day. Older facilities compensated by excellent staff. Building could use a little refreshing. The location is very nice.
