    « Comfortable Bed »

This was the fourth time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel. Not much to add to previous reviews except two items. The hot breakfast is wonderful! Lots of food in a pleasant and very clean environment. Our room had only 1 chair and no table. This makes it very difficult for two people to enjoy a glass of wine or watch T.V. without having to use the bed. Otherwise the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. A microwave and fridge are included but only one person can eat at the desk at a time.

    « Stay and Fly »

Excellent hotel for stay and fly package. We were given a to-go breakfast consisting of a bagel, banana, and water. Shuttle to and from the airport. Left out van with the hotel for 7 days while cruising.

    « Heritage Inn »

This is a wonderful hotel. Beautiful rooms and easy access to the freeway. Only disadvantage is no elevator. So if you have trouble with stairs make sure you get a first floor room. It is right across from the mall and has easy freeway access but is still very quiet.

« Park n Fly Great way to go »

Used the park n fly. Had an early flight and got shuttled to the airport at 6 am. Shuttle was waiting for me, Driver pleasant. Hotel was nice and clean, staff friendly. If you have a lot of luggage I would request the ground floor....2nd floor in this case. Has no elevators,

    « Fantastic! »

Hotel has an odd layout with 3 separate buildings, but the rooms are fantastic - clean and high quality decor. Breakfast was fantastic - lots of selection and good quality. Beds are really high, but very comfortable.

    5
    « Professional & dog friendly »

Checking in, I was very impressed by the professionalism of the front desk staff. The beds were plush and comfortable. My biggest concern these days is how dog friendly a property is. The rate for having a dog with you is more than most properties...$20. However, you get a bag of goodies for it. And there are plenty of areas for your dog to go potty with an abundance of places to get potty bags. Upon leaving they gave me directions to a wonderful dog park.

    « Very Pleased! »

We recently stayed here 2 nights so we could go shopping and explore some city parks. From the first phone call onward, we experienced nothing but helpfulness on the part of front desk staff. They were even kind enough to allow us to have a couple of parcels delivered and held until we arrived. Check-in was easy and fast. Our dog loved his "welcome" bag of goodies and enjoyed coming by the front desk for treats! Staff here love dogs, and this is appreciated by the owners. There is a separate building for dogs and their families and it is in equally good condition as the pet-free buildings. There are exterior stairs to access the buildings but we didn't mind. Plenty of parking right outside, and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We especially liked being able to open the window for good ventilation. Breakfast was one of the nicest spreads I have ever seen at a Best Western. They even had locally-made granola and a selection of high-end teas! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this property and would love to come back if we have occasion to visit Bellingham.

    « Always a great stay »

We spend a couple nights there,,one going on vacation and one coming back. Friendly people and a great place to stay with shuttle to the airport. Bell is Fair is just across the street, Boston Pizza is close by and a

« Hotel stay near the hospital »

A very convenient, clean safe place to stay close to the hospital where my husband was having surgery. I would recommend this hotel that is 10 minutes away from St. Joseph's Hospital. They give a hospital rate on the room also.

    4
    « Convenient stop over »

We spent 1 night here on our way north. The hotel is adjacent to the freeway, which was really convenient and easy to find. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful during check in. Our room was clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed and pillows and plenty of room for our luggage. The linens were crisp and towels were sturdy and soft. The morning breakfast bar was well stocked with hot and cold choices, and very good. My only comment is that there is no elevator, and even though we were given a ground floor room, we had to navigate some stairs with lots of luggage. I suggest making sure of the stairs situation before getting your room.. There is plenty of on site parking, and a large mall is right across the street.

    « Family Hospital visit »

Our son needed some medical tests performed at the local hospital the Best Western Plus Heritage Inn is convenient to the hospital and is very quiet and restful. We had a nice breakfast prior to our check out.

    « Golf Package Deal »

About 20 of us did two nights on a golf package deal. The hotel was outstanding in every way, much to our delight. The location us adjacent to the mall and convenient to everything. The front desk personnel's reception was fast and friendly. There was chili and delicious oatmeal cookies for us as we checked in. Nice! The rooms we clean, comfortable, quiet, but the pillows were strange -lumpy! There was a generous full hot breakfast and too much to list. Very nice. Again, the front desk personnel we wonderfuly cheerful and accommodating. We will be back. J&A M. Edmonds, WA

    « Good choice »

Comfortable, clean, and close to the airport. Good breakfast and amenities. Used the computer/printer for my boarding pass. Room was clean and bed was pretty comfortable. Made the early morning wake up a bit easier.

    4
    « comfortable beds »

It has a very nice staff and comfortable beds. Close to the I5 and near to a mall. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. The breakfast was hot and the hostess was very friendly and helpful. The only concern was that the parking was a bit far from the room and I had to walk in the rain with my suitcases to get to it. Overall a restful, great stay.

    5
    « Pet-friendly gem »

This lovely inn, tucked away next to the freeway, is a traveller's dream. A cluster of buildings, with one specially designated for pet owners (by a stream no less), is surprisingly serene. Staff are excellent, breakfast well-stocked and hosted, and even our dog got a bag of travel items and treats when we registered. Wow!

    5
    « Great Stay »

WE stayed in this Hotel for 2 Nights, very clean and accommodating Staff. The Beds were wonderful, Breakfast was Standard, but good. The Hotel is in a great Location, close to everything ( Restaurants, Shops etc. Unfortunately the Jacuzzi was closed for maintenance. If you are a light sleeper, do not stay in the Rooms facing the freeway.

    3
    « Did the job »

This hotel was close to where I needed to be, and not too far for me to walk downtown, and to the various places I needed to go to get ready for a mountaineering course I went on. Breakfast was included. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free shuttle from airport. Room had a faint mold smell, which is why only 3/ 5 bubbles.

« More comfortable than home! »

My wife and I made a quick trip to Bellingham in order to check out senior services for her 96 year old father. We requested and received a first floor room. The front desk staff were quite friendly and welcoming and our check-in went very quickly. We were directed to the plate of fresh cookies and coffee bar. We found the king-sized bed to be very comfortable, even more so that the expensive mattress which we have at home. The front office staff was very helpful in responding to our request for directions. Checkout proceeded very smoothly. The hot breakfast was quite good and the breakfast room was kept neat and tidy. We will definitely return to this location in the future!

    5
    « comfortable and safe »

The location was convenient and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was super helpful and so nice. Kitchen staff for breakfast were accommodating and food good. We stayed 2 nights because after the 2nd night the rate was very affordable and the accomodations excellent.

« Less than an hour from the Canadian Border »

We were at a Friday conference in Seattle and decided to make it a long weekend, and go visit Vancouver BC as well. The conference ended late and so we booked a room north of Seattle so we can get a good start on Saturday and head into Canada early. The hotel is also pet friendly and that is another reason we decided to stay here as we were traveling with our dog. At check-in, we were provided a doggy goody bag: cloth feeding bowl for dry food, poopie pick up bags, and a dog treat. This location was fantastic-- close to the freeway, and have a few chain restaurants within a couple of blocks. When we got on the road Saturday morning, we didn't have any traffic (since we were out of Seattle) and it only took us about 45 minutes to get to the border-- with no lines. The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The area was very quiet. My husband has to have breakfast first thing in the morning and he LOVED the complimentary breakfast because they had bacon! He brought a plate to the room for me and I was surprised as well! We will definitely stay here again. If you don't bring a pet, it is very valued price. We paid extra for our dog but we didn't mind. Very comfortable stay.

    « Pleasant surprise! »

Even though it's right next to a freeway, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Ask for a creek side room in the same bldg as the lobby. The room was really clean and comfortable. There was an excellent Mexican restaurant right across the front parking lot. The front desk staff were really nice too, which is a huge plus to me.

    5
« An Oasis in the Midst of Commercial Enterprises »

We had stayed at this hotel more than ten years ago and remembered liking it, so when we were planning a trip to Bellingham WA, we decided to stay again. The hotel is surrounded by lots of commercial enterprises, including the local mall. Despite the setting, you hardly notice the surrounding businesses. This is due to the fact that the hotel sits among trees, and there is a creek that runs through the property. It feels like an oasis in the midst of a commercial setting. Named the Heritage Inn, the décor has a traditional feel in its furnishings, which we like and remembered from our previous stay. This isn't to say the furnishings are old, quite the contrary, they are new while in keeping with the heritage/traditional style. A couple of bonuses for this hotel is that it is dog friendly, and it has one of the best breakfast buffets we've seen for hotels in this class. There were lots of choices and the buffet was spread out, making it easy to select your food choices without tripping over other guests. We will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again, should our travels take us to Bellingham WA.

    « Thank you »

We appreciated the cleanliness of your hotel, the smiling faces of the people and the wonderful breakfast. Although this hotel is next to the freeway, there was no noise, very quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. Very nice indoor hot tub as well.Thank you!!

    4
« Very clean and pleasant hotel »

Thus was our 2nd stay at the hotel, very clean and convenient hotel with quick access to I-5 and shopping areas. The staff was very helpful and rooms were clean. Excellent soft beds! I recommend the hotel to travelers and couples that want to spend a quiet weekend.

    5
« So pleasant we stayed an extra night! »

This hotel is tucked (oddly, but) quietly by the I90 and spread over three separate buildings. We were tucked in the 200 block where the pool and hot tub below were; across the parking lot (in 300 building) is the breakfast room. Superb breakfast from 7-10am, with great coffee and a quality assortment of fresh scrambled eggs and sausage prepared in the kitchen right beside the dining room. Our room was overlooking the pool (closed for the season), and very very quiet. Warning about the hot tub: we chose not to use it as it was completely over-chemicalled. The king bed, linens, pillows were high quality and the towels were thick and fluffy. The front desk staff were warm and friendly both nights and beat the price we found online using our AAA/CAA discount. After hours you can get a hot coffee, tea and some chewy cookies in the main office, which is furnished with modern furniture and a conference room adjacent. The property is located in the heart of the shopping district with no lack of services. Great stay! Great town! I'd go back in a heartbeat.

    5
« San Juan Cruise on the David B »

We highly recommend this hotel. Everything about our stay, the staff, service, accommodations, etc. was great. And the breakfast was outstanding. Easy & quick access to Squalicum Harbor. Upper floors but no elevator, which did not impact us.

    4
    « Relaxing stay »

We had a quiet room overlooking the creek. Conveniently located to shopping and the harbor. Our room had a connecting door to the room next door and we could clearly here the folks in the next room talking. Not sure if anything could be done about that. We enjoyed our little bar area, there was even a dining table and chairs in our room. There were "real" mugs and glasses in the room. The breakfast room also had real plates and silverware, very nice touch. I would stay here again.

    3
    « Freeway Noise »

The rooms are right next to the freeway. Staff is pleasant and helpful. I chose BW because of location. I was upgraded from a queen room to a king room - which was a plus. However, DirecTV did not work 100% and housekeeping skipped my room.

    2
« Not up to par »

Stayed two nights. Small room. Clean. Breakfast excellent and the staff person was just as good keeping things clean and food trays full. BUT: our room was not serviced after the first night so had to make do with allotted towels etc. Shower was dreadful. Chinese made fixture was not installed correctly and sprayed water all over the bathroom. Huge mess which we had to clean up. Not impressed and not up to our other experiences with BW.

    4
« Great facilities nice location »

This hotel is very different in that the rooms are divided into buildings. we were in the same building as the front desk, the breakfast room and laundry were in another building. The rooms are a good size, TV could be bigger, and the WIFI is good. Bathrooms are a nice size. If there is one draw back to this hotel is that it is located next to the freeway so you do get noise if you open your window. Great fitness centre and a nice pool.

  • 5
« Another wonderful Best Western »

We got here after camping for a week. Great beds, great coffee, great food! There is a little stream running through the inn, which was very cute. My son loves the blueberry waffles and bacon. Great tv service as well. Such a nice comfortable respite.

    4
    « College Visit »

Nicely appointed rooms, good selection of breakfast items, friendly staff. Spent a couple of nights while dropping my son off at Western Washington University. Great location, centrally located with easy access to highway and shopping areas.

    3
« Simple and near freeway. »

This hotel is more like a motel. You drive up then are instructed to drive over to another building. The room was nice and clean and had a big bathroom but being right next to the freeway - its noisy.

    5
    « worth the stay »

staff was awesome, friendly and courteous. the room was more than i expected. usually i have issues falling a sleep but the bed didn't cause that to happen. feel right to sleep, which is what we really pay for.

    5
    « Cross country trip »

Best Western has become the go-to hotel in our travels. We stayed a a significant number of Best Westerns across the country and plan to stay in them on the way back east. We enjoy the breakfasts and the professionalism of the staff at these locations.

    4
« Good Value at the Best Western Plus of Bellingham,Wa. »

This hotel is a perfectly fine hotel but know that it is situated next to a freeway and not within walking distance of anything you'd want to see, like the ocean or pretty scenery. The grounds and the room were nice and it was quiet when the window was closed. The staff was very nice and helpful. Most of all the bed was really good and it was a quiet stay. It was convenient to shopping which is helpful when traveling with family. It is also pet friendly.

    4
    « Nice and Clean »

This hotel was not planned for our holiday, we stayed at Heritage Inn for four nights and are very happy with this hotel. Staff are very friendly with great service and the shuttle driver has been great to us. Very clean and nice rooms. A great hotel to stay at while in Bellingham

    5
    « The best yet »

We generally choose to stay at a Best Western when we travel, this one was in our opinion the best one we have had the pleasure of staying in. Convenient to the interstate and shopping. Modern, clean, ample parking and a top notch fresh breakfast selection.

    5
« Pleased to stay here »

Very pleased overall. You won't be disappointed. If you don't have a BW card it is on the expensive end. Our room had everything we needed and even extra. The bathroom had a step up into it; it should have been illuminated with a night light to remind guests of that step up in the dark.

    5
    « EXCELLENT SERVICE »

We received excellent service. The staff were so helpful; allowing us to get into our room early as we had come in on the Alaska ferry. The room was VERY clean; new bathroom fixtures, fluffy towels, and very comfortable pillows. The hotel is downtown and close to everything. I definitely recommend it.

    « Ok »

Not good it has bugs in room and not clean needs better rooms but stuff is nice food is OK o but they do give u a dog bag care bag my dog loved it.as long she is happy me to but need to clean the rooms

    4
    « Enjoyable break »

Close to the shops and golf courses. Plenty places to explore with lots of choice for meals ,breakfast choices were good. Overall excellent service other than noise from air conditioning unit which we turned off.

    5
    « A Nice Place To Stay »

This was our first stay at the Heritage Inn in Bellingham and were very please with our accommodation. Our only complaint would be with the firmness of the beds and the extreme height of the beds off the floor.

    5
« Best Western Heritage Inn Bellingham WA »

Stayed here again for several nights in August 2016. Clean rooms, nice property, great staff. Only glitch was housekeeping missed one day- problem was handled quickly. Great central location just off I-5. complimentary breakfast is basic, but okay.

    4
    « The Place To Stay !! »

This hotel has 3 separate buildings very clean rooms and right off the Interstate going north from Seattle. I recommend asking for a room on the first floor as some of the 3 levels are walk up's. The dining room serves a hardy breakfast.

    3
    « Your average hotel. »

This hotel looks very quaint from the outside and even in the lobby. However, I was a LITTLE disappointed once in our room (323). It was quite clean, with the exception of not looking like it ever gets cleaned under the fridge. The doors were a bit dated, the tub was almost non existent :(, the water pressure in the shower was hit and miss and temperature seemed to vary too. However- the towels were fabulous! The bed was comfy, nice size tv, a Keurig machine and our room had 2 luggage stands. However, heavy footed people could be heard next door. I was also disappointed that from a security standpoint, the building's (we were in one of the detached buildings) doors are unlocked during the day. The breakfast was not bad; eggs, sausages, waffles (incl a blueberry option) and misc cereals, fruits & yogurts as well. Coffee was not great. We used points for this stay but honestly, I've stayed down the road at the econolodge and it was just as clean and would choose there over here as far as best value for dollar.

    5
« The place to stay!!! »

Just perfect, beautiful area. First trip to Bellingham ever. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave. Lots of shopping and Restaurants very close, right there. Great second hand store next door. Went there for a wedding and I got my outfit at the Restyle consignment store. Staff at BWP was the best and eager to please your every need. Will definitely be coming back soon hopefully.

    4
« One of the better Best Western's »

We've stayed here a couple of times. Clean and nice rooms. The complimentary breakfast isn't bad either. My wife likes this Best Western and I do as well. It's pretty close to about everything. Per friendly

    2
« Not a Three Star Hotel - More like a Motor Inn »

This Hotel was sold to me as a three star hotel, In my books it is a 2 star. It consists of several buildings all separate from each other, right beside Interstate 5, traffic noise was very loud. Decor is from the 1990's, seriously needs to be gutted and redone. A/C was old and loud, our room had no bath tub or closet and to get to breakfast we had to leave our rooms building and go to the one next door.

    5
    « Christmas in July »

What a great stay! Not because it was free with my bonus points, but because it had everything a first class establishment should have. Friendly people, large clean rooms, and an out of this world breakfast bar. And did I mention that it was free?

  • 4
    « Bellingham Best Western »

The location of this hotel is close to the I-5 and Bellis Fair Mall if that is your consideration. Although there are chain style restaurants close by the better eateries are downtown which although within a 15 minute drive are not easy to find. Overall this hotel provides good value and the rooms are nicely decorated, clean, and well appointed. And quiet. The pool is very, very small and shaded. I would visit again.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

This hotel was very clean and helpful on finding restaurants and ride to and from the airport! There was many restaurants in the area that you could walk to as well, including a grocery store nearby. We loved the experience overall.

    4
    « Average everything »

seems this place is going downhill, aging rooms and snobby staff, crappy breakfast and way too overpriced for what you get especially with the exchange rate. special requests never met and keys stopped working

    2
    « Mold problem »

My room was on a lower level of the hotel and the entire hallway smelled like musty basement. My room itself smelled like mold. An old bedspread was thrown on a chair. I called the front desk to ask for a different room on a different level. Front desk woman said she'd call me back and never did. I won't be staying here again if I can help it.

    4
« Very comfortable rooms and good breakfast »

We stayed at this Best Western for one night. There is plenty of free parking. Check-in was very efficient and the staff were helpful and friendly. We were in rooms in the same block as reception on the second floor. Our room was large and very smart with very big bed and large smart bathroom. There was plenty of wardrobe space and a good TV with numerous channels. The coffee making machine produced delicious coffee. The curtains provided blackout. We had an excellent night's sleep with no noise at all. Breakfast is free and is taken in a separate building which is a bit difficult to find but when you get there it is excellent with a wide variety of choices of hot and cold options. Overall this is a very good hotel and an excellent option for a stay in Bellingham.

    5
    « Bellingham visit »

This is a very convenient Hotel just beside Highway 5. The Hotel is surrounded by trees which cut down the noise from the Highway cutting the traffic noise completely. The Hotel is kept in a very nice exterior and interior condition and offers a very nice hot breakfast with friendly staff. The TV gets high definition service with many channels, the rooms are clean and have a small fridge and Microwave, this is the place to be if you want a nice quiet stay.

    5
    « Quiet, well-appointed, and pet friendly. »

Driving up to the hotel, I was a little afraid that the freeway noise would make this an uncomfortable stay. However, the room was very quiet, nicely decorated, and large. Breakfast had a lot of choices, albeit nothing too exciting, but pretty good for a free breakfast. There was a big grassy area next to our room where we could walk the dogs, which made up for the location between the freeway and a mall. Nice hot tub and friendly staff. As my niece said, "Nothing sucked......5 stars!".

    5
    « Haggens »

I try and stay at a Best Western because I know what I want and what I can expect and most time I'm not disappointed. Thank for coming through. Great breakfast and good WIFI, ample and well lit lot. The fresh baked cookies are a nice touch.

« Best Western Heritage Inn Bellingham WA »

Very clean, comfortable and convenient hotel right off I-5. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Excellent staff & well cared for property. Rates were mid range- good value for dollars spent. Complimentary breakfast with good quality and selection.

    5
    « It was great »

It was a last minute decision. I call and the staff helped. The property was nice. The landscape upkeep was good (no weeds) the room was nice and everything was clean and worked, I am Gluten clean and they had food for me for breakfast. A very pleasent stay.

  • 5
    « Impressive »

I had not stayed at a Best Western for years and was pleasantly surprised by how upgraded this property was. The room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. The room had a mini fridge and microwave and Keurig coffee maker. They had nice touches like earplugs in the bedside drawer. (There's traffic noise from I-5) so that helped. This property has 4 two-story buildings, but no elevators). If mobility is an issue request ground floor. Breakfast offered many options and there was a sign that they offered some gluten free options. I liked that it is in easy walking distance from Bellis Fair Mall as well as other businesses and restaurants. I would definitely stay again! I experienced great customer service and they had a very competitive price for rooms!

    5
« Best Western Plus Heritage Inn, Bellingham, WASHINGTON »

A very clean, comfortable and well managed hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, professional and efficient. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the major highway but no so close that there is uncomfortable noise levels.

    3
    « gripe »

We are frequent guests at Best Western properties. the Bellingham store room rate is rather expensive compared with other BW establishments. Room is OK, breakfast is very good, but the TV cable package is terrible with limited public channels. there are a number of premium pay packages Location offers easy access to freeway and to Bellingham town Beds are raised and you almost need a stool to get into bed and I found the mattress a bit uncomfortable

    4
    « 5 For pets »

Great for staying with a pet and good value close to most amenities some you do not need to drive to and lots of places to walk your pet. Bellis Fair across the street - many restaurants all along Meridian my fav the Olive Garden.

    3
« Nice, clean and close. »

This was a nice, clean place. The room was small for the money but everything was very nice. We really didn't enjoy the 30 stair steps we had to take to get to our room but we had no other option. No elevator. The breakfast was good. The linens were nice. The location was close to the airport and interstate 5. There were several restaurants within walking distance. I do think it was way over priced. I have stayed at much nicer places for less.

    4
    « Bellingham »

Finally a hotel that had a Keurig! Bed was comfortable, staff was nice. Room was great. Breakfast was good. Had good coffee and eggs were actually seasoned. Best tasting sausage I have had at a hotel. Hotel is located right in a small strip mall and across from larger shopping area. It was easy to walk to restaurants in area.

    5
« Clean and close to Bellis Fair Mall »

We stopped here on our way north to BC. It was a little tricky to find but off of the main road, so nice and quiet, it is kind of in the back of a couple of small strip malls, but it is very updated, clean and quiet. The rooms were comfortable and recently updated. The Pool was not open when we were there but it looked like it was being updated. It was very acceptable for a good place to stay and rest up. It is less than five minutes to the Bellis Fair Mall, there are at least three places to have your mani and pedi done in the strip malls around the place, a red robins, mcdonalds and a pizza place all less than five minutes away. Good stuff, we have stayed here in the past and will stay here again.

« Yearly Mother Daughter Getaway »

When the 1 year Anniversary of my father's passing was coming up I suggested to my mom that we go away for a few days so she'd have something to lift her spirits. We decided on Bellingham & stayed at the Best Western Heritage Inn. Just returned from our 5th year of our annual Mother/Daughter getaway staying there. Absolutely one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The most wonderful helpful staff, any request we had they were happy to fulfill it. Always those extra personal touches, emails a couple days before your arrival saying they look forward to your visit, check in staff very friendly & professional. Beds are soooo comfortable I wish they fit in my car. Rooms are clean, free wifi, each room comes with microwave, fridge & coffee makers, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Shopping & Bellis Fair Mall within walking distance. Have also stayed there before flying out to Vegas & you can pay less to leave your car at the hotel & catch their shuttle than it costs to park at the Airport. Been going there for 10 years now & couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.

    « Excellent hotel »

Much better than average in this price range. Great location near shopping and I5. Rooms tastefully appointed , and staff very friendly. Breakfast better than usual at this price range . All in all hard to do better.

« Great all around hotel at very reasonable prices »

This hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood. The breakfast is first class. They also have pool and fitness facilities. The rooms are clean and spacious. Overall, we had a great experience at this Best Western Hotel.

    « Good value »

We stayed for one night in February, 2016 and were impressed with the value. There was free wifi, the room was very large and equipped with a microwave (which we used to heat up dinner), fridge, in room coffee and tea etc. The bed was comfortable and we slept soundly - no noise from surrounding rooms. We were on the second floor and had to walk up a long flight of stairs which wasn't an issue for us but might be for some people. The help-yourself breakfast was served in another building, a two-minute walk from our building. There were hot and cold items (scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, juice, coffee and tea) and staff were on hand to replenish as needed. Excellent value for the money.

    « Impressive! »

It had been many years since I had stayed at a Best Western and I was pleasantly surprised how upgraded the brand has become and how nice this property was. The guest room was nicely decorated with amenities like free wifi, a selection of toiletries, hair dryer, and a Keurig Coffee maker as well as a mini fridge and microwave. Another nice touch was there were earplugs available in the bedside drawer, since there is some I-5 highway noise, but otherwise I did not notice noise from other guest rooms. Breakfast offerings were varied and there there was a note that gluten free options were available. I found the staff to be knowledgeable and friendly. The only drawbacks are there are no elevators, but there are only 2 floors in each building. Another current drawback is the pool is not working and is under repair, but there was a nice hot tub available. The rates were reasonable. It is steps away from the Bellis Fair Mall. I would definitely stay there again!

« The room had a bad odor »

The free coffee was good along with breakfast it's close to the mall the bed sheets looked clean but there was a bad oder in the room which was on the ground floor of building c. The sink was slow to drain

    « Wonderful lodging »

I stayed here 3 nights after traveling from Texas. Stayed here because of proximity to the Alaska State Ferry terminal. This is a wonderful place, so clean, free breakfast, free wifi & very quiet. I requested a 1st floor room & was given one. Parking is convenient. There are 3 separate buildings for the rooms. This is aesthetically more pleasing than 1 large building. Nice landscaping. Free breakfasts. Guest laundry is convenient. The housekeeping ladies are superb, very nice & friendly & very thorough. Pet friendly & quiet. The only negative is the closeness to the freeway & the traffic noise & while this didn't bother me, it may affect others.

« Great property, but handicap unfriendly »

It is very unfortunate that the property did not have any elevators. Unless you enjoy or don't mind having to go up and down stairways, it can be annoying/bothersome. The breakfast room is in a different area which makes it somewhat inconvenient to get to if you are staying in another building. The waffle batter were never properly made the 3 days we were there; the waffles always came out uneven and lumpy. The breakfast hardly replenished food items and seemed too eager to put away things, especially during the last hour. The fitness room isn't large and doesn't have a variety of workout machines; however, you are still able to get a good workout with what is there. The pool was being renovated and was closed. The check-in/out staff are friendly and helpful. The huge plus about this hotel is that it is located within extremely close distance of the mall, other shopping outlets, restaurants, and parks.

« Early morning yelling in the hallway »

Based on the reviews I was really looking forward to my stay here. The lobby is cozy and had fresh appointments. The room itself was clean and quiet (even considering the proximity to I-5). However - it was probably the worst bed I've slept in in years, and I travel quite a bit. Tossed and turned all night. Then in the morning beginning around 8:30 the cleaning crew could be heard in the hallways - literally yelling from one end to the other. I'm an early riser, but I had a very late arrival the night before and was looking forward to sleeping in. Running the vacuum cleaner in the hallway at 9am on a Sunday is not acceptable. I am in Bellingham every couple months and will not stay here again.

    5
    « Excellent location »

Very clean, comfortable property. Perfect location as it is right off the I-5. Perfect for shoppers who visit Bellis Fair Mall. Ideal location for families as the rooms are very spacious, clean and beds are very comfortable. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Lots of variety of food. Spacious rooms. Has meeting space onsite as well for small groups.

    « I would Stay Here Again »

Nice Hotel, easy access to I5 highway. Close to huge shopping mall, short drive to the Outlet stores. Staff were friendly and knowledgable. Breakfast was enjoyable and close, some items changed daily.

    « Pleasant stay »

This hotel was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful, professional and courteous. Cookies are to die for. And, always great to have a full breakfast before you start the day. I will definitely return

« Best Western Plus Heritage Inn »

My wife and I drove cross country to Ct and back from Alaska and we stayed at Best Western hotels coming and going. Best Western Plus Heritage Inn was very clean, had a great continental breakfast, and was very quiet. Most importantly the air conditioning worked perfectly. We will stay again on our next road trip...

« My favorite place to stay in Bellingham »

With my daughter in college in Bellingham, we visit quite often. We've stayed at a couple of places there, but the Best Western has proven to be the best for our needs. Breakfast, comfy beds, close to shopping and a quick hop onto the highway to get to WWU!

    5
    « Resort-Like Atmosphere »

I chose this hotel while engaged in a business trip to British Columbia. I chose Bellingham based upon proximity to the closest border crossing. Although my stay was only one night, this property left me wishing I could stay longer. I thoroughly enjoyed the unique multi-unit hotel that gave me the impression of a resort-like property. I was close to a variety of restaurants as well as shopping venues. My room was spacious and comfortable. The amenities were fine as was the excellent breakfast in the AM. I want to come back to explore the Bellingham area and would definitely return to this hotel.

    « WWU visit »

Time to check out colleges reviews were good. Should have booked room via trip advisor it would've been cheaper than the Best Western page. We got a king bed mini fridge, Keurig maker with 2 coffee 1 decaf, and one tea and a microwave. Being over 6' its nice to take a shower and not have to crouch like most motels little more water pressure would've been nice. Full breakfast was awesome scrambled eggs hard boiled eggs, bacon , yogurt , fresh fruit, waffles, pastries, coffee, tea, juices, cereals, oatmeal, etc definitely a nice spread. They have a hot tub inside and a exterior pool that was closed. Would definitely stay again BUT book through Trip Advisor

    5
« Friendly, convenient and helpful! »

We recently stayed at this property as we had an early morning train to Seattle. They charged just $30 to leave my car there for a week AND they drove us to, and picked us up from the train station for no extra charge! Nice breakfast included in the stay. We will definitely stay there again!

    5
    « Wonderful & Refreshing »

Enough route to Vancouver, BC I had the good fortune of choosing this unique property. I really enjoyed the resort-like look & feel as I checked in. Plenty of parking, restaurants & shopping nearby but hotel maitained it's Quaint feel in spite of all the nearby activity. Room was spacious & comfortable. Kuerig coffee maker was a welcome bonus as was the delicious hot breakfast in the AM. I really enjoyed this place and would love to return.

« Good breakfast room, fresh linens, extras »

This hotel was comfortable and very accessible from the freeway. There are many stores and restaurants surrounding the property. The outdoor pool is under construction, but the hot tub was nice and enclosed in an atrium. The fitness center was clean and modern. We were impressed by the breakfast room. There was plenty of seating and a wide selection of foods. The hotel is situated in several buildings and there are a lot of stairs. Our room had a smallish bathroom with a shower only. The beds were taller than we are used to. We appreciated that cookies were offered near the lobby area. The setting is pretty with a stream running through.

    5
    « a great,pet friendly hotel with all the perks,breakfast,romantic spa,outdoor pool,great staff,free paper ,close in »

excellent very clean, pet friendly, excellent staff, and a very pretty location, the breakfast area is in one of the seperate buildings away from the office so you don't feel rushed. They have a bunch of breakfast staff to look after all your needs.Great hotel real clean ans spacesuss rooms, right close to the mall and restaurants, awesome mexican right next door.

    3
    « Clean but Noisy »

I arrived to the hotel for one night stay on a recent Friday evening. The front desk staff were friendly, if a bit slow. They gave me a room on the first floor of the main building which was average size and clean. Beginning at 2am, there were people partying loudly throughout the hallway, slamming doors, etc. Despite complaints, the disruption continued for a few hours. Breakfast was typical, including eggs and MYO waffles.

    5
« Staying at Best Western Hotels »

I always enjoy staying at this hotel when I come to Bellingham for business. The hotel is always in top shape and the staff is very professional. Last time I stayed here I watched a duck kayak from one end of the creek past the hotel. It was hilarilous (s)he was moving at full speed and swerving from side to side. I have stayed at other hotels and this one is the best.

    2
    « Not a good experience »

We were given a room on the 4th floor and there was no elevator. I think check-in staff should ask a customer if 4 flights of stairs without an elevator is going to be a problem. Our room was not clean. There was a big black hair in the bath tub and a pee smell in the bathroom. The bed linens were so old they were grayish/yellow. It was not possible to tell if they were clean (I wasn't willing to smell). We had very poor reception from the DirectTV in our room (408). Breakfast was excellent! Very good choice of items and very well presented.

  • 5
    « Best Western Heritage »

By far, the best Best Western we have ever stayed at. We keep going back. Frankly, the service and rooms are far better than some 4 and 5 star hotels that we have stayed at. The staff is always helpful and pleasant, the breakfast is excellent with many items, there are apples and newspapers in the lobby, and fresh baked cookies every afternoon by the coffeemaker in the lobby. Close to the airport, a major mall, and several stand alone stores and grocery stores.

    4
« Mixed feeling but room was charming. »

I think the stairs to get to the room are a bit creepy at night but the room was charming. It is an older hotel but was comfortable. The hotel is divided into separate buildings but it is easy to drive around.

    5
« One of the best!! »

We had two visits to this hotel a week apart, each visit was excellent. Firstly we used their shuttle on a number of occasions and it was really useful; from the airport; to and from the downtown Budget office; to the Greyhound depot. On both visits the staff, both drivers and office, were really great; nothing was too much trouble. We left a case while we toured, very safe. We were even recognised on our return. Both rooms we had were wonderful, spacious and well appointed. The TV coverage was excellent too, able to watch plenty of hockey!! There were all sort of shops close at hand including a Thai restaurant where we ate 3 times, yes it was that good and the helpings were large too. We often rate the BW hotels on their breakfasts!! There was only one BW that would beat this one but that hotel changed hands a couple of years ago and their breakfast really went downhill (we actually use a different BW in that city now). Beside the wonderful choice of food the crockery and metal cutlery was glorious; paper and plastic do nothing for us!!!

    5
    « Enjoyable »

Location was great, right off of Interstate 5, Rooms were of good size, breakfast area had good selection of items, near shopping (walked to the Bells Fair Mall), service people were friendly and helpful. Only drawback would be if you were on 2nd floor and there was no elevator. Will definitely stay again.

    4
    « Weekend in Bellingham »

We stayed here while visiting family in Bellingham. The hotel location is convenient to all of Bellingham and you can use Meridian to get anywhere or use the Freeway. The traffic noise was not bad, we had a room facing away from the Freeway. Very good breakfast, complementary.

    5
    « End of a long trip »

Flying in from New Zealand we were tired and a little brain dead! The driver that picked us up at the airport and the sweet girl that checked us in were so kind and helpful. A good nights sleep in a lovely room with a view of the creek, and a hearty breakfast made this a welcome place to stop overnight.

    4
    « BW Heritage Inn »

This is a little gem in Bellingham. The hotel is very clean and the staff is so friendly. The beds are so comfortable and hard to leave! A complimentary breakfast is a nice way to start the morning. A great stop off of the freeway!

    5
« Comfy beds, friendly staff »

We always stay at Bestwestern PLUS Heritage Inn in Bellingham when we go. The staff is always friendly, when we use the complimentary breakfast, it is always plentiful, delicious and has lots to choose from! It is located near the Bellisfair Mall, a short hop onto the highway to get to the Western Washington University and not far from Vancouver, BC.

    3
    « Good service »

Good service at the front desk. We have stayed here before and the room was much better than this time. Needs some upgrades in bathroom area. Front desk staff are excellent and could not have been more helpful. Hotel is in a good location in the city and is close to mall and dining places.

    5
« I am impressed by the polite & caring staff, simply the best ! »

I am considering spending more time in the USA at the Best Western PLUS Heritage Inn, Bellingham, Washington Andrew, Cory, Ferber (sp) ? , Robert, and many more staff made my experience at this BW peaceful and healing, which is what I needed to rejuvenate my mind, body and soul. : )

« Excellent hotel for a great price »

For a hotel as a stop over you really can't complain. We used this hotel on our way to the Canadian boarder. It is really reasonably priced, a great location as its a couple of hours outside of Seattle and perfect if you are wanting to head over the boarder. There are plenty of restaurants about and a fairly decent shopping mall about a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was excellent and really for the price you can't complain, it's much nicer than a budget hotel and yet not much difference in price.

    5
    « Spring Break »

The hotel was easy to find, staff was super helpful and they were thoughtful about offering a choice between lst and 2nd floor accommodations and since I had knee replacement, that was important. They were very friendly and helpful with our dog.

    5
    « Very Satisfied »

Nice surprise to find a well kept and clean hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and well cared for.. Located close to the freeway but without the noise. Many restaurants choices located close by and many within walking distance. Awesome visit!

    « Always the Heritage Inn . »

staff always friendly & helpful clean comfortable rooms, quiet ,bathrooms clean & tidy easy access on & off the freeway. close to shopping (Bellis Fair Mall ) restaurants nice amenities- pool (seasonal), fitness room, business centre.

« Hotel by the Interstate »

This hotel's location is a catch 22. It is close to the mall but also right beside the interstate. Hotel was clean, staff were very friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Get price through Hotwire. Our room was on the second floor and right beside the stairs so not very quite but after major shopping sleeping was not an issue. The beds were sooooo comfortable and lots of pillows to chose from. The out door pool wasn't opened but looks nice for the summer. The pool and the hot tub are on the small side but if you want a quick dip it would work. The apprearance of the hotel was wonderful. Would definately stay again....even with the noise.

    5
« Top flight as usual »

Consistently 5 star. Friendly staff, efficient check in and out. Shuttle to airport (with park n fly rate). Breakfast in a large comfortable room. Above average fitness facility. Several restaurants within walking. Wifi was strong in our room. Mini fridge and microwave. If you are flying out of Bellingham this is a nice option

    5
    « great stay »

Great staff, nice room modern and pretty, wonderful bed so comfortable, and great breakfast, soy milk available for us with allergy. lots of shopping and restaurants close by. No complaints, will stay there again.

    2
« Motel Quality at Hotel Prices »

Maybe I just got a bad room, but for $150 US, I got a pretty dumpy room in a building that just had stairs (no elevator). This hotel is near the mall in a restaurant area, and multiple buildings make up the property. You need to check in and then drive to your building. The room was old, poorly laid out, and noisy. There was a connecting room door and so much noise coming from the adjoining room (I think they had a humidifier or a CPAP machine). Thank goodness I had ear plugs. The one thing that was okay were the beds. They were comfy. I would NOT stay here again. I'll go back to the Springhill Suites by the airport next time. It's waaay nicer and waaay cheaper.

    5
    « Business Trip »

Excellent on all ways. Staff was courteous and attentive. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Security was evident in that all outside doors were secure and needed key card to access at night. Fitness center open 24 hrs!!!

    4
    « Great Hotel »

I return every time I'm in the area. Great service and comfortable beds. The whole purpose is to get rested enough to do another days work, and I do !! And they have real oatmeal - not just the package kind !

« Great place to stay when visiting WWU »

After trial and error we've settled on this as our hotel when visiting our daughter in Bellingham WA. The rooms are always clean, nicely furnished and we like the breakfast. The grounds are nice and the location is great for my husband when he goes running in the morning. We've always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. We've stayed here more than a dozen times.

    5
    « A+ Accommodations »

We asked for, and received, a room that was removed from any designated 'pet rooms'; it was up 2 flights of outside stairs that could be slippery if they are wet and there are no elevators so be aware if you have mobility issues. There are 3 separate buildings and our room overlooked the creek. The hotel is just off the I-5 so you do hear the droning of trucks on the freeway but it is not enough to interfere with a good night's sleep. We could not have been more pleased with what we received. When you open the door to your room and go 'Wow", you know they have done something right. Our room was very spacious and extremely well-appointed. I'm not sure if it was recently remodelled but everything (from the amazingly comfortable king bed to the tiled bathroom floor to the ceiling pot lights to the furniture) looked brand new. The tiled bathroom (tub/shower) is actually one step up from the main room (be careful at night) and is very large. The coffee/fridge/microwave area is set up almost like a mini-bar with a Keurig coffee-maker, glasses, coffee mugs, real cream, overhead cabinets and its own sink. The flat screenTV is wall-mounted in a recess and is connected to Direct TV and its multitude of channels. Breakfast is served only in one of the 3 buildings but you won't be disappointed if you have to walk there. There is lots of choice-scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit cups, yogurt, juices, milk, coffee, pastries etc. etc. We will definitely be back. One of the nicest BWs that we have stayed in. Highly recommended.

    4
    « Great Stay »

Great staff and clean rooms. The hotel complex is layed out in a few buildings. 3 stories high. Easy access off the I-5 and Meridian Way. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. A strip mall across the street and a block from Bellis Fair Mall. Has a outdoor pool and hot tub, exercise room and a continental breakfast..

    4
« Nice breakfast and great value »

The breakfast is good and the price is cheaper. fitness center is amazing. The surrounding is very convenient. I took my mother and she enjoys wondering around the shopping mall nearby. Room is very comfortable. But a bit noisy as it is close to the road. Oh, the only bad part is that the wifi is not stable.

    4
« Clean, quiet, great location »

We travelled to Bellingham to do some shopping. Hotel is clean and in a great location, minutes from Bellis Fair Mall. Rooms were very spacious. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and spa-like! Nice continental breakfast. Worth staying at!

    5
« Excellent Stay and Fly Hotel »

Used this hotel as a stopover prior to an early morning flight to Maui. We utilized the hotel for a Stay-Park-Fly package and were well served in service to and from the airport. Our ride to the airport was excellent and timely. However the gentleman who picked us up upon our return back to Bellingham took back roads back to the hotel vs. using the freeway. I would estimate that it took 2 or 3 times longer to return than our initial trip to the airport. Our flight was 3 hours late which didn't seem to present a problem to the hotel but it certainly didn't require the use of back roads at 12:30 AM. There was no traffic on the freeway either. Long story short. The room and stay were great. Perhaps suggest to the driver that you would like to get there (airport/hotel) quickly both directions to ensure a speedy trip.

    5
« Comfort, Clean, Great Value »

We expected a clean decent place but got even more. The room is large enough for two people to also do yoga. The rooms are quite and there are laundry facilities which are great when you are on road trip. They serve breakfast and you can't beat the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    5
    « Good Value »

Staff is friendly and helpful. We even got good suggestions for things to do in Bellingham. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfy. Breakfast offerings included healthy options. A hot tub! What more could you ask for?

    4
« Pet friendly, decent brekfast. »

Stayed here before, went back again! Pet friendly with a dog welcoming package makes it not so bad to pay another $20 for the dog. King bed room has a huge King bed! Brekfast can fill you up, eggs, sausages, waffle station etc. Great location, went to Mt Baker skiing from this hotel one day, went shopping in Tulalip another day.

    4
    « Great Northwest Visit »

Over the past ten years I have stayed at this Hotel 3-4 times. I have always enjoyed my stay but this trip was just a slight bit more enjoyable. Everything about the Hotel was a little brighter and the staff was extremely helpful. The cleaning staff was very good and responsive to any additional needs. A very pleasant stay!!!!!

  • 5
« Great hotel, friendly staff, nice breakfast! »

The title says most of it! One thing is there aren't lots (or perhaps any) elevators, so if you don't like stairs, and don't get a room on the first floor, you will have to hoof it to the second or third floor. You probably need the exercise like me, however, so this is actually a good thing! I'm sure they put the handicapable on the first floor, so this shouldn't be an issue for them.

    4
    « Great Night Out »

Booked the room for a quick getaway with my husband. Walked across the street for dinner so no driving involved. Comfortable rooms, only objection was that there was no bathtub, but the shower was very large. Next time I will ensure that I get a room with a tub, wine in the shower just isn't the same.

    5
« Excellent stay, staff and location! »

Arrived into Bellingham late night of Jan23rd. From our shuttle driver (friendly and helpful), to the front desk young woman (same friendliness), to the breakfast staff , to the cleanliness of the room and to breakfast, I am inspired to give this rave review. Everything was perfect, thanks all!

    3
« Decent Hotel in Bellingham »

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to help us set up an extra bed, which in this case, turned out to be a inflatable bed. The free breakfast was good, and had a fresh waffle maker as well as eggs and sausage. The great thing about this hotel is that they allow pets, which makes it easy for us to travel with our 2 small dogs. There was plenty of space for them to cavort outside and pet guests receive a welcome kit, which was cute. Overall, this was a great stay for us in Bellingham. It was close to the mall and plenty of restaurants were within walking distance. My only complaint was that noise from the hallway was easily heard through our hotel door. Fortunately, our neighbors were pretty quiet.

    5
« No complaints. Top of Class Accomodation »

Stopped for a night after seeing a concert at a local pub. The room was clean. Service great. Priced well and included breakfast. I would go back before looking at other options. And if you are going to the Bellis Fair mall, it's right across the street.

    3
    « College graduation stay »

Once of the last rooms available in town...turned out to be clean and comfortable. Allowed dogs, which was great. Check in person was nice and quick. Comfortable average motel type place. Great for its purpose.

« GOOD PLACE TO STAY »

we stayed a night at Best Western heritage in bellingham . it was a good experience. it is clean and the staff is very helpful. only thing that was a bit confusing was to find our room! it has two or three seperate buildings . But it is a very nice hotel to stay. i will go again.

« Best Western Plus Bellingham »

We love this hotel. The staff is always friendly, the facilities are clean and well maintained, we come away believing our business was welcome and appreciated. Very convenient location, ability to park and fly with free transportation to the airport is greatly appreciated.

    3
    « Perfectly acceptable »

It's a pretty standard older best western. Conveniently located right next to Bellis Fair Mall. The beds were comfortable & everything was clean. There were no elevators to our room and the hotel had an odd set up with many different buildings that seem disconnected. Breakfast was pretty standard with hot & cold options and it was fine.

    5
« Great place in Bellingham area »

This was our 1st time at this hotel and we would stay here again. The room was relatively quiet (we had specifically asked to be away from freeway noise) and had a comfortable king bed and was reasonably spacious (room 405). It's close to Bellis Fair Mall and easy to get on the freeway to go into downtown. My only caveat is the breakfast - if you like bacon and eggs, fine. But if you are vegetarian or vegan, not great. The oatmeal had no texture or taste and there were no whole grain breads. But that is minor - overall I rate this breakfast better than most.

    « Gem »

Pleasantly surprised. The hotel is tucked away just off Interstate 5 exit 256 in Bellingham close to Canadian border crossing. The hotel is located in 4 separate buildings all nicely appointed and maintained. There is an outdoor pool, enclosed hot tub, and exercise room. Rooms on the second floor have no elevators but are located within an enclosed hallway. The rooms also are nicely appointed and maintained. The commercial Keurig machines with Starbucks Keurig cups were a nice touch, especially for coffee lovers. The breakfast room was comfortable and well supplied/maintained by the staff.

    4
« nice motel but hidden pet fees »

I have stayed here before and did not have added pet fees. When this motel was selected on the internet, it advertised "pet friendly" which I thought meant pets were ok in the advertised rate. When checking in our "$89" room became $121.76. I may well have selected a different motel if those extra fees were advertised on the website.

    4
« excellent place en route to bellingham airport »

Our family needed a place to stay in Bellingham en route to our vacation in Maui. This hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the fitness facility was excellent. The breakfast was convenient and provided a variety of items. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shuttle to and from the airport was great. We would definitely stay here again if in a similar situation again.

    5
    « A good place »

Several years ago, I found myself spending a lot of time in Bellingham, thus I found this hotel. The location is great, with nearby shopping and freeway access. It is close to downtown, and their shuttle is up for trips to transportation hubs. The staff is knowledgable and friendly I recommend this place if you stay in the Bellingham area.

    4
« Very comfortable; good service. »

This was a very convenient spot for some last minute shopping before I crossed over the border for an extended stay with family in Vancouver. It is not always easy to cross the continent with a dog and find satisfactory lodging. The woman at the desk was very agreeable when I asked for a ground floor room close to an exit and she also put me close to the breakfast room...less time away from my pup. One reviewer complained about cleanliness and this was not apparent to me. The entryways are many and those did have some leaf debris. I have the same coming in under my outer storm door at home so this didn't bother me. There are convenient places to eat all around and if you are in the mood for Mexican, you can simply go a few steps beyond the hotel.

Close to shopping, great restaurants and activities. The rooms were clean and the bed dreamy. It has a great work out area with lots of windows and a yummy breakfast included in an airy and open room.

« Always like the hotel »

If. the Best Western Heritage is avaailable we will always stay there. The rooms are spacious, decore is excellent, the service is very good, breakfast is also very good. We also request a room away from the highway so it is quiet. We had stayed there a lot.

    « Nice stay, a bit pricey .... »

I was here for 3 days and it was a very nice stay. Very clean room with a comfortable bed with excellent service and a great breakfast with real eggs, ham or sausage with all of the breakfast extras. You pay for it all though. But, not many inexpensive anything in the state of WA.

    « Recommend this hotel »

We use this Best Western all the time for park/and/fly packaage when traveling on vacation. The shuttle service is excellent, as is the hotel service staff and amenities. An added bonus if you like to shop - it is across the street from Bellis Fair and an on site \\mexican restaurant is absolutely the best.

« The BEST Best Western »

We really enjoyed our brief stay here. The King bed was superb, the staff were friendly and helpful, the buffet breakfast was excellent, and there was a very good, yet inexpensive Mexican restaurant a stone's throw away. A very convenient location, just across the street from a big mall, and just a ways down Meridien St. From an excellent pot shop.

« Nice Hotel for the Price »

The hotel is a good value with comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast. My only real complaint was that housekeeping was incredibly loud (cackling, swearing, yelling, etc) every morning for hours on end. Despite this lack of consideration and blatant rudeness, the rest of the staff was nice. Our room was directly across from their laundry room, so try to avoid this.

    « Very impressive »

Even though this hotel is positioned adjacent to the expressway, it still sits in a lovely setting and you do not hear any traffic noise. I appreciated the cleanliness and decor. The front desk staff was very helpful in assisting us in resolving a mix-up on the date of our reservation that we had made through an online service. He went to some trouble to help us resolve the problem and provide us with a room.

« Off the fwy far enough to be quiet and no trains »

This is a good hotel for the price...but lots of stairs...and I didn't see any elevators...the exterior doors require your room key, which is fine...but they make a loud noise when closing that can be heard the full length of hall as there is one at each end, only a problem I guess if u r a light sleeper. Very generous breakfast...just the typical eggs cooked to oblivion..and I like eggs for breakfast!

« Best Boutique Hotel in Bellingham! »

It was my first time staying here over the Thanksgiving weekend and my experience was superb start to finish. The young lady who checked me and my husband in, I think her name was Sam, was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was cozy and well decorated with a huge king sized bed that was a nice touch. My favorite amenity was the Keurig coffee maker in my room that came with a great selection of coffees and teas. The hotel is spread out over three buildings but with fewer floors and rooms per building it really made the whole experience feel more private and intimate. The location is very quite yet only a couple blocks away from a huge shopping mall. Having stayed at the other "boutique" hotels in Bellingham I can assure you that this is the best and most affordable!

« Good location near Bellis Fair Mall and Bellingham Airport »

We stayed at this Best Western location near the Bellis Fair Mall, Walmart, restaurants and a free shuttle trip to and from the Bellingham Airport. Breakfast was good and included hot items & a waffle maker. We will definately stay at this hotel again.

    « A really nice pet room »

This best western has one of the nicest pet rooms we have stayed in. The room is very nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed, as well as a comfortable sitting chair and desk. We felt spoiled, and our pit bull did too, with the welcome doggie bag and coupon for $10 off the $20 pet fee on our next stay.

    « Perfect shopping location. »

I stayed for 4 nights and was able to walk to most of the venues I was interested in. It is right across the street from the Bellis Fair Mall as well as many other stores, including Costco, are an easy walk away. Also the I-5 entrance is 1 minute away for that 30 min drive to Cabela's and Tulalip Outlets Mall. There are plenty of restaurants in the area to please any taste. The only downfall of this location is most of the rooms are located in separate buildings on the property so if the weather is inclement that can be a bit of the hassle moving from building to building, but they do provide umbrellas.

    « Clean hotel »

The hotel is clean and comfortable. There are no elevators so if you get an upstairs room be prepared to climb the stairs. Check different Web site to get lower rates as they very. They serve a breakfast but I did not try it. There are many restaurants within walking distance.

    « Nice Place »

Overall, our stay was excellent. The only problem were we requested a lower level room, which we had, however, it would have helped if check in would have told us there was a ramp on the other end of the building.

    « Clean Comforatble »

Nice hotel, stayed here many times. Easy access to Highway - close to shopping and food. Reasonable rates. Breakfast is standard fair - nothing to write home about, but will start you off on the right foot anyways. Friendly and efficient staff.

« Fabulous location for shopping in Bellingham »

Fabulously located when shopping in Bellingham. Mexican restaurant right across from hotel is awesome too. This hotel was clean and very friendly staff. The breakfast was fantastic too. The room was big and very comfortable. Enjoyed the whole experience.

« One of my favorites »

Let me start this off why I'm taking off a star: The surrounding area. Location is great for highway access, but the way they treat you and how the rooms are appointed, you feel as though you should be distanced from the locals. Anyhow, the good. Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, soft/thirsty towels, 3 unique buildings with separate floor plans. I stay here for business every so often and they treat me as if it were my home. I will return

This hotel has staff that makes you feel like family. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast! The WiFi and television service is great, they even have fresh baked cookies in the evening.

« Excellent customer service & totally comfortable »

The service and care that I was given was excellent, they went out of there way to make my stay great. There had been some delays in my travel so it was not a planned stay, but ended being one of the highlights of my adventure. the room was perfect, I slept like a baby & the breakfast was so convenient and good.

« Not up to modern standards »

I stayed three nights here to visit a friend from college who lives in Canada. I never say his room, so it might have been different from mine. Mine was small and not conveniently furnished. The "closet" was tiny, barely big enough to hold an upright ironing board and hang a couple item of clothing. Maintenance was not up to snuff although everything worked. The hotel is divided into three buildings, one of them separated from the others by a street. This separate building is where the breakfast bar is located, so it's just about inevitable that you'll walk across this street unless your room is in that building. Next time in Bellingham I will stay elsewhere.

« Good service, nice rooms »

Have stayed multiple times at this property. Best place to stay I have found in the area. nicely appointed. I would recommend getting a room on the 'creek' side as the highway can be noisy. Good location with yummy Mexican restaurant on the other side of the parting lot. Decent complementary breakfast provided.

    « BEST IN CLASS! »

Attention all hotel brands! If you need to view what it takes to be a first class motor inn you need look no further than Bellingham Washington's Best Western Plus Heritage Inn. From the moment you walk in this hotel property radiates its' pride in accommodating guests. Rhiannon was managing the front desk and she exemplified everything positive that hotel owners would want from their primary guest contact assocate.

    « Great Afforable Place »

Close to the mall for shopping. Adjoining rooms are available. We asked 1st for them but upon arrival we were not put in them. The front desk moved us to rooms kind of close together but not joining on the first floor.

« Best Western Heritage Experience »

Excellent hotel, excellent service. We have stayed here numerous times, and have never had one complaint. They recognize repeat customers, and acknowledge if you are gold, platinum members, etc.. Have fresh baked cookies in the lobby every afternoon. breakfast items are varied. The rooms are furnished very nicely. Location is close to the airport, and they provide a free shuttle 24 hours.

« The Best Bed Ever »

I have to say, this is the most fantastic bed I have ever slept on, it was perfect. If you are in the area and would like a fantastic nights sleep, this is the place for you to stop. Very quiet area, very clean rooms, pleasant staff. A great experience overall.

    « Business trip »

Comfortable room with Wifi and breakfast was good. The building I stayed in was quite noisy with freeway near by. The staff were friendly. The strange thing is there are three buildings and breakfast is in basement of building furthest from office.

    « Quality night's sleep in Bellingham »

Very comfortable night's sleep in great beds and an amazing breakfast buffet with hot items. Interesting format for the hotel -- it's in three separate attractive buildings so as not to overwhelm the area.Umbrella stands with large blue umbrellas are at each exit in case of rain.

« Great staff made it »

Missed options for the ADA rooms. No grab bars in shower. Not roomie for wheelchair or walker. Room above very noisy. Only queen bed avail. Staff were very sweet and attentive for both our visits and had a birthday card waiting in our room.

    « animal friendly »

I show cats and I have always had a good experience with our cats while staying at a Best Western. I really appreciate the breakfast and the cats love playing and settling in. Best Western has become their second home. The staff is very helpful, especially the housekeeping who have to rearrange their schedule to accommodate the cats.

    « Excellent stay »

For this level of hotel, we had a great stay. Arriving late at night, we were checked in quickly. The room was spacious and quiet, with a very comfortable bed and wonderful, fluffy towels. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was a fairly typical American hotel one with hot and cold options. The only negative to the whole thing was the Fox News blaring in the breakfast room?definitely not my preferred way to start the day.

Great place to stay with beautiful rooms. Hotel staff very friendly with a big welcome smile. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Easy to find and close to interstate .. we were given a list of restaurants and places of interest.

    « Great quick stay »

Super helpful check-in staff, clean rooms, easy location to other things in Bellingham - restaurants, etc. I would stay hear again. We came in late and I messed up my reservation but the employee at the front desk was very helpful and courteous when fixing my mistake thank you!

« Spacious rooms and convenient location »

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location makes it very convenient for any trip to Whatcom County. I was surprised by how spacious the room was and admired the array of amenities: fridge, keurig, microwave, DVD player, internet, etc. The room was very clean and the bed was also very nice. The only thing I noticed was that I did hear some of our neighbors, however I didn't figure out if it was coming from the hallway or the rooms next door. I would also suggest to the staff to add more fruits to the breakfast buffet. There are a lot of carbs and they could definitely offer more healthy options.

« Best Value for money »

We stay here every time we go to Bellingham, whether to fly out of just shop and the location couldn't be better. Combine that with the value for money and friendly staff plus very comfortable beds and great breakfast it couldn't get much better.

« Comfy, Quiet Rooms & Great Location »

Friendly staff, excellent room above lobby with no traffic noise. Room was big, shower was walk-in, beds were comfy. The hotel is split into smaller buildings, the layout worked for us. Parking was easy, the walk to breakfast was close, and the mall across the street has plenty of food options. Excellent experience, will stay here again.

    « So so »

Wasn't told up front about a pet fee that was charged PER NIGHT. The handle on the closet door fell off when I opened it. I had a sore back after sleeping in their bed. On the upside, it was clean, quiet, and the staff relatively friendly. Bathroom was kind of cramped with the door covering the entrance to the shower.

« Breakfast and staff good; accessibility not so much »

Met some staff in parking lot and voiced our concerns about accessibility (before we even got out of the car). They didn't seem to understand how this could be a problem, but tried to be helpful with limited success. Odd-shaped room made moving around with a walker difficult and use of a mobility scooter impossible. Parking lot is well above room access and it's a long and uneven walk from handicapped parking (with an incline) to the room. Toilet was not ADA -- it was very low, making it difficult to get up and down, even with grab bars. Single grab bar in shower was not placed in a position to be helpful (need one opposite the seat to be able to pull oneself up). Shelf in shower is not accessible from a sitting position. On the plus side, there were lots of plugs / power strip for charging electronics.

    « Wonderful hospitality! »

I stayed here for 4 days this past week. We had a medical emergency and I needed a hotel room close to the hospital. They not only gave me a discount, but they allowed me to check-in well before the normal time, so we had somewhere to rest. For four days, they shuttled me for free over to the hospital so I could spend the days with my husband. I have never slept in such a comfortable bed. I'm trying to figure out what the model of the bed is so I can purchase one for my home. The breakfast was very good. They also have a coffee station that has delicious coffee, flavored creamers, and my son loved the apple cider. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Every time I called the front desk to add another day, or ask for a ride somewhere, they were so gracious and so kind.

« Last minute reservation turned out to be a nice option! »

My daughter was moving up to Bellingham for her last year of college. I had forgotten to reserve a hotel room in advance and was frantic one week before move-in day. The hotel we usually stay at was booked, so I called the Best Western to see if they had rooms available. I'm so glad I picked this hotel! The rooms are modern and clean. The halls were quiet and the noise from the next room was barely audible. My husband didn't hear anything and I only heard very low tones. The breakfast room was very spacious and the choices were wonderful! Scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, cold cereal, toast, bagels, pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, cocoa and tea as well as juices and milk. The staff was very friendly as well!

« Comfortable Stay at Best Western Plus Heritage Inn and Great Customer Service »

I generally make reservations in advance for the night, but this time I was a "walk in guest." Customer Service at this hotel is amazing. She quickly let me know she had a room with a very good price; got me checked in; and also gave me some waters and breakfast bars as I am a Best Western Member. The room was nicely laid out. The bed is a bit high but for me since I am taller it was nice and very comforable. It was a quiet room and I slept soundly. Internet connection is very good. Its close by to restaurants and shops. There is some construction going on in the area, but other than having to take notice of it when driving to the back building, it did not disturb my stay. My key card for some reason always had problems opening the "common entrance" door to my floor. But with trying it several times it worked. I felt like winning the jackpot when the door finally opened though. The place does not have elevators, so take note that one if on the 2nd floor or higher has to take up the baggage by stairs. It worked for the night I was staying there.
