With Louisiana State University nearby, our Baton Rouge hotel is a favorite for visiting students, faculty and staff. While the central city location makes us stand out, it's the southern hospitality at our Louisiana State University hotel that guests especially enjoy. Our proximity to the highway and the I-10 and I-12 split makes us a prime location for business travelers and those looking for quick commutes during their stay. Whether you are headed to a meeting or a plantation tour, it's quick to get there from our property. Baton Rouge, Louisiana is already known for hospitality, but we go above and beyond. Enjoy complimentary high-speed wireless Internet in each guest room, and a complimentary full hot breakfast buffet every morning featuring your breakfast favorites. A buffet of hot waffles, biscuits, gravy, fruits, pastries, cereal, yogurt and 100% Arabica coffee ensure your day is off to a great start. Our pet-friendly hotel has spacious rooms and suites available to accommodate families or those who just want a little more space with their four-legged friend. Numerous plantations surround our Baton Rouge hotel, and a tour is the perfect way to explore the culture and history of the area. The downtown area is full of excitement, with the Bayou Country Superfest® during Memorial Day weekend, a local favorite. The Blue Bayou, Dixie Landin and BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo are also popular. We specialize in extended stays at our Baton Rouge hotel, perfect for business travelers with Lamar Advertising, Clean Harbors®, Entergy® or Synergy® Home Health. Suites are more like small apartments, so business travelers with PreSonus Audio Electronic, Inc. , Southern Financial Exchange, Ben E. Keith® and First National Bankers Bank® feel right at home. FEMA workers are often here for weeks, and the sport court, fitness center and business center make long stays more enjoyable. Guests living within a 40 mile radius of the hotel will have an additional $300. 00 per stay authorization that will be released upon check-out if no damages or charges are incurred.

« Nice hotel and pet friendly »

The overall stay at this hotel was very good! Some minor things that maybe could use a little improvement would be an upgrade on the furniture . We had a suite which was nice. Some of the chairs had very visible stains in them which were unsightly. The shower curtain was very moldy and mildewed. The breakfast and the evening hors d'oeuvres were first class all the way!!! My overall stay with my family there was enjoyable. I would most definitely stay there again.

    « Poor check-in service »

The process of checking in at this hotel was abominable. The attendant want even at the desk for the first 10 minutes we waited. Then she strolled in carrying her cell phone, with no apologies for the wait. We wanted to use points for our stay, she didn't know how to use the system to do that. Had to call her manager and be told how to do it over the phone for another 10 minutes. Still no apologies for the delay. Finally get a room figured out, she gives us keys and walks away from the desk with no final questions as to whether there was anything else she could help us with. Then - the room had a broken shower curtain rod, non functional bathroom exhaust fan and a strong plug in odor diffuser when we walked in. Luckily our stay was just one night. Otherwise the suite was acceptable, comfortable bed. The breakfast the next morning wasn't terrible, but was pretty much the standard hotel breakfast plus grits.

    « Nice stay - great service »

Stayed there over the weekend to visit family. Room was pretty good but a little tight. Room was generally clean. A.c. can be loud. Used the gym - small but good. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly. Wanted to note the front desk agent/mgr that worked Fri, sat night and Sun morning. I'm sorry I didn't get your name but you were great. I was with FS and Ritz for 15yrs...you're a quality hotel person. And thanks to the bartender sat night and taking care of our group.

    « Comfortable and quiet »

Greeting/reception is friendly. Rooms are generous enough. We had 2 rooms each with a king bed so quite OK for single occupancy. Typical fit out and very suitable or our needs as were here for 5 days for a sporting event and needed a quiet place to chill. Staff do not "see" little bits of litter in passageways and filthy cigarette butts on walkways. Rooms are kept well but other areas need a general tidying up. Having said that, the hotel is good value and well situated. Hot breakfast is included in tariff. It's all quite good but shop around if you need a hotel in this area.

    « Thanks for nothing »

Got this room on Hotwire, big mistake, they go out of their way to make your stay miserable. I asked for a king bed, they give me two doubles in a handicapped room with no tub. Soaking wet carpet as the poorly constructed shower drains back onto the carpet. Bar is a joke, "happy hour" is basically non existent, slightly lower price on a small selection of mixed drinks, beer same price as normal. Bartender had as much personality as a wet noodle?? We went for a beer, when my wife asked him for a glass she was offered a large wine glass. Really? If manager says they were full she is not being forthright. As the clerk signing us in said she had a different room for us with a tub, then she went to talk to manager and came back and said she couldn't give it to us. Door key locked us out on 2nd day. No stopper for the sink. Phone not working 3rd day in a row. When I bring these issues up to the front desk clerks there is no apology, they just say it's an ongoing problem. Last chance to make it right on day three, I asked a manager if there was anyway she could give us any room with a bath? No those are reserved for customers that pay full rate. I tried. There won't be a next time so no need to reply to this very well thought out honest review.

    « Basic hotel »

I've stayed here previously and the room was very nice, clean. The full kitchen was stocked adequately with cooking utensils. This time the bathroom floor was not clean. There were random hairs on it. The glasses in the kitchen looked used. There was one pot to cook with. Stains on the carpet. I'm assuming it's because it's a hotel that caters to flood victims and they've had a lot of extended stays. The bed is comfortable though and the kitchen is perfect usually for cooking meals. Hoping things will go back to normal with this hotel soon. Staff are friendly and courteous.

« Rooms need major cleaning and updating »

I chose this hotel because it was conveniently located to where I needed to be early the next morning. The reviews were decent so I was surprised to find a less than mediocre room. The kitchen area was filthy! The bathroom was clean. I was in a non smoking room but I could definitely tell that there was smoking in my room at some point. The air conditioner cooled really well but was annoyingly loud. It wasn't a constant noise. It was really loud and sounded like it was vibrating and then it would stop. It kept me up most of the night. I was startled awake at 12am by a woman pounding on my door. I assume she was calling my room since she was on her cell phone and my room phone would start ringing. When I answered she wouldn't say anything. I called the front desk because I refused to open the door for fear of a scam. I was a woman alone in a hotel. I've stayed in many hotels all over the US and this was one of my worst experiences. I would have to say that location for my own personal needs was the best thing about my stay.

This is the best hotel by far they are LSU cater survey we're prepared hot breakfast every morning consisting of grits hash rounds oatmeal gravy biscuits danishes toast Bagels sausage bacon eggs orange juice apple juice cranberry juice coffee cereals and milk they have so many different type of rooms here with kitchenettes in the evenings that cater sausage jambalaya gumbo shrimp crab corn bisque eat red beans rice and all of this is complementary with stay here the staff is very hard-working they have a variety a staff I was very pleased the outside atmosphere was beautiful the sky is beautiful the scenery is beautiful I am a flood Survivor I've stayed weeks I've seen lots of things and in it all I see a brand new smile from each staff member every day that I've stayed here my kids were picked up right in front of the hotel what a blessing if I had to do this again I could do it knowing that I have Best Western Richmond Suites to return to my hats go off to the management the staff and also the guest go LSU looking forward to the rest of the season not to mention I never had to do this before so at first I didn't understand the way the reservations and bookings were with FEMA or the are ready rooms that were reserved because they are LSU catered with pre-seasoned bookings already in place but once I was able to understand and catch on to how a hotel is Ren I was even more at peace I love you guys and Best Western you're very hard-working and dedicated may God bless you for being so patient and understanding with us to God be the glory into the ladies that fix that breakfast and cook those meals I love you the most lol just kidding I love u all not to mention I met a lot of nice people and made a lot of friends in this Baton Rouge historical flood

« Hotel did not meet past experiences »

Hotel has major housekeeping problems! Past experience was always good but not this time. Bathroom tub and toilet were very dirty. Breakfast selections are very good! Biscuits, eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, oatmeal, waffles, pastries, juice, and coffee were available complimentary. Really enjoyed the breakfast. Bar area was clean and were appointed. Hotel Lobby was clean. Major problems with cleanliness of room. Were told because of the recent flood in Baton Rouge area, a substitute cleaning service is being used. When you return to room and there are not towels, no extra soap and no extra toilet paper, it does not make for a good feeling about hotel. Had to call first night just to get toilet paper. Second paper holder was empty!

    « Nice »

I had such a great experience in my past stays, absolutely didn't want to leave! Absolutely great rooms. I stayed in almost every style room. The kitchenettes were my favorite. The rooms are like apartments, which made my month stay worth while. I am a flood evac, and my family consists of 7 all together with only 1 out -of-state at school. I was able to keep every together and happy. I really think they spoiled as once we got settled in and got along with swing of things. I'm a very picky person and I love to clean, but I could not have been more pleased with the upkeep and the standards that set and upheld here. My standards were met. My kids even had a bus to pick them up and take them to school here. What A blessing! My hats go off to the staff here. They had a lot to deal with and they kept it 100%!! Awesome breakfast, and I'm not talking about a couple of morning danishes and coffee, We were catered each morning to go into a buffet-like- style breakfast with hot grits, shredded hashbrowns, oatmeal (cooked) bacon or sausage, eggs, gravy, biscuits, self-made waffles, danishes, yogurts, choice of fruit, bagels, raisin bread, cereals, juices (more than one) and coffee. Not to mention each day of the week there is a Down South entree prepared at 5 pm complimentary ! Wow the Chef John Folse crab corn shrimp Bisque is my favorite YUM YUM YUM ! LSU catered hotel that stays booked up , but fortunately for us they FOUND THE ROOM FOR " THE DISPLACED SURVIVORS of the GREATEST Historical FLOOD in BR. TO GOD BE THE GLORY ! GO L>S>U looking good . Y'all I really enjoyed the stay, WAIT A MINUTE IM STILL HERE L>O>L loving it ! Mey a lot of nice people here Also . The staff are HARDWORKERS and DIDACATED TO THE JOB !

    « Wonderful »

The staff was friendly from check in to check out. I love the location and the facilities were great. The current location has families living there due to the flooding in Louisiana. The staff has done a wonderful job keeping up the facility even with this challenge.

« Glass Half Full? Glass half Empty? »

I stayed at this property while in BR for business. Tough to get a room anywhere due to the recent flooding, which has many folks still living in hotels while they get their homes back in order. I was surprised that this place could get me a room for two nights. Of course, with a crowded hotel, many problems crop up: late or overdue housekeeping, overfull trash cans, supplies low or out on some things, etc. I'm happy to say, that if you take into account what this hotel was up against, they did a pretty good job of taking care of people. While in the lobby, I witnessed one long-time guest complain about the 'attitude of the housekeeper' who brought them fresh towels. Really? You have time to complain about someone's attitude when they hand-delivered fresh towels to your room? How about understanding that they are handling the needs of a hotel with 100% occupancy and your request for fresh towels might not be at the top of the list. The manager and clerk handled the complaint well, apologized for it, and asked what the guest wanted as a remedy. Clearly, she was bucking for some sort of monetary reward (payoff?) for being so disrespected. Rather than come right out and tell the manager this, she simply asked what the manager was going to do. The manager apologized - again - and thanked the guest for letting her know about the incident. I left for my room before the resolution was evident. If all you have to complain about is the attitude of housekeeping staff, yet your home is in ruins from floodwaters, where are your priorities? One other thing: due to the fullness of the hotel, many folks brought all their vehicles to park there (those that were temporarily there due to flooding). This caused a bit of a nightmare for guest parking. However, the hotel was clear on exactly where your illegal parking would get you towed (fire zones) and was willing to look the other way if you parked illegally, but NOT in a fire zone. They worked together to give all a chance to have their needs met. Back to the hotel: Quiet building, despite being full, landscaping nicely done and trash was regularly picked up outside. I had a suite and didn't get any housekeeping done during my two-night stay, but I didn't need any. Room was clean, everything worked, and I had no complaints at all. In fact, the complimentary breakfast was beyond my expectations. It beats paying $10 for the same breakfast around the corner. Location of this hotel is good. Close to Interstate, plus close to other major roads, and to many restaurants and not far from University. Great staff (albeit busy folks!) and decent, clean rooms.

« The worst staff that does not give any service »

Nightmarish. Worst staff I have experienced in my life. They are racist, combative, argumentative and basically horrible. Every issue, from precharging my card for the wrong amount ,to going in my room when I'm not there is not addressed. The mgr refuses to explain why my card was charged before my arrival The issue of why someone let my dog out of the bedroom was met with.... well if that's true which insinuates I'm a liar. After asking the front desk, Sr housekeeper and housekeeper who was in my room .I can't get a response. The Sr housekeeper was extremely nasty and said since I had a pet who is a service dog, I could change the sheets myself. I informed her for 166.00 a night they could do their job. She let my dog sit in the hot sun on the balcony waiting for service until I asked them when they will return. The first housekeeper was equally rude walking away in the middle of a question telling me to speak to her supervisor if I needed something. This hotel forgets guests should have service instead of acting like a request is an imposition . I was given an outside entrance room which was promised to be changed today. When I asked again, I was told that's not possible. I would appreciate an explanation from the general manager as to why there is so little service for things that should be a given. I was again overcharged, this time for a pet fee when I had shown the service dog ID upon checking in. When I asked the front desk to remove this from my bill, I was told I had to prove it to them before they will adjust my bill. Even though the rooms are large and grounds are okay when the trash is picked up.....the staff makes you feel so unwelcome with the worst attitude

    « Much Nicer than I Expected! »

I had the opportunity to stay while in Baton Rouge for business. This is not anything like what I remember BW to have been years ago. I stayed in the suite, with full kitchen, fireplace , and separate work area. I had a flat screen tv to watch while cooking, another to watch while falling asleep. I can't wait to stay there again!

    3
« Everything is acceptable, until when we were ready to leave the hotel. »

Everything was very nice and above average for the price range. But this hotel did offer NO paperwork of any kind, even when you INSIST on having one. I've stayed at different BW locations and they ALL offered a print-out receipt, both upon checking in and out. Not at this location. When I asked for one at the front desk upon checking out (to make sure that I wouldn't owe anything that wasn't not expected like late check out or room damage), I was repeatably denied. I asked the front desk clerk to speak to a Manager on duty. Denied. Last time staying here. I don't stay there for free. Does it cost them too much to provide a one-page receipt to the customer especially when the customer specifically asks for one, like other BW locations? If that's too much to ask, then you don't (and won't) have my future business. Now go save a few pennies on that piece of paper, BEST WESTERN Plus Richmond Inn & Suites-Baton Rouge.

« dishonest management team, glass in carpet from sliding glass door being replaced due to rock hitting it from lawn mower »

First of all I came into town to visit family. I was put in a room where my foot got cut open due to glass chards being in the carpet from the sliding glass door being replaced due to a lawn mower throwing a rock and breaking it. Then they moved me into another room, then next day the told me they were sorry they didnt get all glass out of carpet and what had previously happened. They offered me a free night and then put me in a room with a tv half the size of the one I was in before, the patio was dirty with cig butts pilled in the corner and the bathroom was old with dust and dirt particales on the floor and dead bugs in the bathtub, there for I could tell this was one of the rooms that had not been renovated and I guess since I get a free night for spending $500plus at the ER the night before I get put in the room that they would not occupy anyway due to the condition. At that moment I went above the asst manager to the GM. I sent pictures of the condition of the room they transferred me too and never got a response. At that moment it was about 2-pm and we packed our things and went to the Double Tree across the hwy. Later come to find out they had fraudulently charged my amex for not only the night that was suppose to be free in which we didn't even stay but they still charged the card without letting me know. I had stayed there 3 nights when this happened on the forth night and the moved us to the "free night room". in which we left due to the condition and disrespect. however they charged us for that 4th night that was suppose to be free and we didn't even stay past 3pm and also let them know we were leaving and we checked out and paid for our 3 nights. it was a few days later we had charges on our same card for the room that was suppose to be free and we did not even stay in. Of course we disputed it and our ccard company reversed the charges. This was a complete disaster. Not to mention my wifes I pad dissapeared, in which we forgot in the room but they said they never found it. Yeah Right! Such a terrible Management team that can ruin the success of a nice hotel. LSU Alumni owns this particular hotel in which I hope after contacting corporate they can get some good honest employees. I should have filed a law suit but I'm blessed in the way that money is not an issue. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only thing they have going for them is the breakfast! Let me add that I travel for a living working in the southeastern region and stay at hotels 75% of the time.

Lovely suite with a little kitchen, a comfy living room, a separate bedroom with a luxurious bed, good closet space, bit mirror, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi and a separate standing shower. All in all, it was great. I wish I could have stayed another day, just lounging in the room.

The staff was very helpful. I learned I was 2 stays away from Diamond Elite, and i was upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. The room was Great !!! I was too tired to go down to the bar, and even slept through breakfast. But, the bed was so comfortable. A great stay, Thanks.

    « Last minute stay »

We were in town for an emergency and needed a last minute hotel room at 10:00 at night. I have stayed at this BW before so I called them. They still had me in the computer and booked a room right away. The area is safe. The rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was tasty with good options. There is a nice pool and a bar off of the pool area for lounging at night. No complaints at all. Great hotel in a moderate price range.

    « Great Value »

Enjoyed our 1 night stay here. The hotel is well kept, clean, and the room spacious enough. The location is good with lots of options for restaurants or delivery. We really enjoyed the inside bar near the pool where we were able to order a drink, have the complimentary happy hour appetizer and watch the Olympics. Pets are allowed and the grounds are still very nicely kept. Definitely a good experience for us as we were just passing through Baton Rouge. We'd get one of the suites if we were staying for more than a night.

« To attend Engagement Party for our Neice »

We came to Baton Rouge to attend an Engagement Party. We were greeted and assisted well at check in. All check information was in order thru booking.com. They gave directions to all amenities, pool, bar, breakfast, office area, and buildings and room sections. They were helpful in direction to the campus and the building we would going to that evening. We had two rooms reserved so I took a quick run thru the men's and things looked good. When I got to our room I inspected it correctly. Bags were left at the door. Lights were turned on one at the time to see if surfaces were clean and dust free. Pictures were taken then beds were turned back to inspect sheeting and mattress with lighting. Beds were found to be clean and mattress fairly new and firm. Pillows clean. All surfaces clean. Windows free of hand prints. Kitchen area and appliances clean, stain free and not spots in sinks. Bathroom appears to be very clean in the drain areas of sinks and tub have been cleaned of dirt and water spots. No dirt and stains noted on floors. Room decor suited well. Very comfortable roomy area for three female to prepare for an evening. This room was above and beyond my cleaning means and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

« Best value for your money in Baton Rouge »

I've stayed at many hotels and hosted clients at many hotels in Baton Rouge. This is by far the best value for the money. The rooms are modern and clean. The pool and bar are clean and nice. I would stay here again.

This was our second year in a row staying here for 6 nights. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed in the same room last year and was in need of some furniture updates this year. The breakfast was very good and the hotel in a good location.

« Best Breakfast in town! »

Great staff very caring, nice rooms, and an amazing breakfast! Very close to lots of restaurants and stores. They also have a basketball court that was lots of fun. I will be staying here every time I go to Baton Rouge

    « Not What I Expected »

Breakfast was wonderful, but not enough seating. Watch your bill if you have pets. It should cap out at $100 per stay. They tried to charge me extra. The air in the room was "humid". Sheets felt damp but not quite wet. I found the grounds in places held water when I would walk my dog. The air conditioners leaked causing puddles of water. The coffee pot in my room had water in it. Housekeeping took it to clean and we never saw it again. Wifi is ok at BEST. They gave us a password which we didn't need. I found that very odd. Beds were comfortable. Staff pleasant and friendly. It is a non-smoking hotel and there are cigarette butts everywhere.

« Nice hotel, exceptional staff »

Long term for work. Spotless hotel, well cared for. Staff was helpful and responsive to requests. I had a large suite that met all my needs and enjoyed the friendliness of the entire staff. Good restaurants and shopping close by.

    « Passing through »

Passing through on our way to Florida beach vacation. Very impressed with the hotel and pool. The main office building was decorated like old plantation Louisiana. We really enjoyed the stay. We were very impressed that it was so conveniently located to the interstates but could not hear the traffic.

    3
    « Good Value but needs to be updated . . . »

The price and the location were the only two factors that made this hotel an enjoyable experience for our visit. The internet was out until after 10:00 p.m. on our date of arrival. The room's decor was decent but definitely could use updating and a good cleaning. Noise from other guests was definitely a factor. We will most likely choose not to stay at this facility, again.

    5
« Nice, Quaint and Pet Friendly »

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel. I have stayed in a hotel room and a suite. The hotel is very nice and in a perfect location with lots of shopping, restaurants, drug stores and gas stations within 0-2 miles. It is easily accessible to IH 10 and very close to LSU. Every room we have occupied has been clean and updated with no issues. The free breakfast has a lot of great choices. The bar is also a fun hangout and every night they have a free local food dish to sample. We have not used the pool area but it looks fun and clean. The basketball court is nice. I have used the fitness room and I enjoyed the convenience. A big bonus of this hotel is the pet friendliness. Not only that, but the grassy areas are well kept with no weeds or sticker burrs. A huge plus.

    4
    « nice hotel »

Very nice hotel, best BW I have stayed in, maybe ever. Nice amenities, breakfast was great, complimentary food, the only opportunity for improvement was the pool, hopefully they will rectify this problem

    3
    « Great Front Desk! »

Exterior signage for entry could be better in identifing the entry. Lobby and front desk staff were great. Rooms are old converted appartments, we had two rooms for our group, both were damp but clean. I had to sleep on a couch bed, the couch itself was badly stained. Breakfst was a disaster. Understaffed for the buffet, food items were constantly out.

    4
    « Good location »

The location was good for us, as we had a car, and could drive to any location in the area, but would be restrictive for those without transport. It was well laid out, and the pool was in a central courtyard, with hotel buildings arranged around it, there was also a sports court for basketball. The complimentary breakfast was good, with a choice of hot and cold items, no continental options though, but we found the choice sufficient for our needs, and as it was a help yourself buffet, you could have as much as you wanted. Free parking arranged around the buildings, made it easy to park close to your room most of the time.

    4
« Noisy room otherwise Great Value »

Don't let them put you in an outside room in 'B' Building next to I-10. The interstate highway traffic is very loud. Receptionist didn't tell me and I was too tired to request a change. Otherwise a great value, rooms clean and comfortable, great breakfast and lounge looks nice (although did not get a chance to visit).

« Wonderful Place to Stay »

The Staff is very friendly and will do their best to meet your needs. The breakfast is fantastic and the dining area is always clean. They have now added a night time evening reception in which they serve a hot snack, which is an added bonus. The location of this hotel is wonderful for getting around the Baton Rouge area.

« Best Best Western Experience »

We've been doing quite a bit of traveling the last two months. Stayed at a Best Western in Oakley CA 6 days -- very good hotel. Decided to take advantage of BW's $50 promotion this summer so booked our next hotel stay at a BW in Fresno CA -- it was an old hotel & just a so-so stay. Then a couple of days ago we stayed at a BW in Tuscaloosa AL -- another good stay -- nice room, good people at the front desk, standard breakfast. THEN we stayed at the BW Richmond Inn in Baton Rouge. Have to rate it a 10+++ --- best Best Western of all. The people at the front desk were great & recommended a Cajun restaurant (Parrains) that totally satisfied my hubby's craving for Louisiana seafood. Our room was large & the amenities offered (fitness room, pool, outside area) were A+. But above all, the breakfast spread was as good if not better than what you could order at a restaurant. Eggs, home fries, grits & oatmeal from scratch plus the standard waffle maker, pastries, juices, etc. A totally great experience, wish we were staying in the area more than one night. Thank you! p.s. They are very dog friendly. ????

Our hotel clerk was Alexis. She went an extra mile to give us a first floor room with parking and breakfast room nearby. We had wonderful service from everyone we encountered including the dining room personnel. We had real cutlery and cloth napkin. Thank you for the very pleasant stay.

« Beautiful suite, full kitchen, fireplace »

This suite was SO comfortable and classy.... I wished we were staying more than just one night! It's full size fridge and cooking area and dishes make it very appealing for longer stays. The bathroom supplies and set-up were "female friendly" with separate make up remover towel and a little chair by the make up mirror. Nice touches.

Room was clean, smelled nice good size and beds were very comfortable. Offered free continental breakfast and was very good. plenty of parking spots and free. Staff was very nice. We would recommend staying here.

« Not impressed but OK »

There are numerous buildings as opposed to 1 main hotel. It is difficult to get luggage from the parking lot with the cart due to the steps. The breakfast bar is in the main building, therefore you have to move between buildings for access. Not difficult for those you do not have trouble walking. Rest of hotel is just about average.

« MY STAY ON VACATION »

It was a great place to stay, very nice people and very clean Best Western to all my friends and family. I would definitely stay at this Best Western again on any vacation to Baton Rouge, Louisiana I go on. It was a great place to stay.

    « BEST BW EVER »

Outstanding Hotel.....Big room, great price, great price, best of the best in the BW Brand. Far superior to anyother BW we have ever stayed at, we have stayed here twice in 9 months. Good food, better bar, super rooms with great size and plenty of room. Highly recommended.

    « Great Place for a Getaway!! »

Hotel was really clean and nice. Rooms were a little dated but still nice. We had a king suite with a full kitchen and living room with a private bedroom. The staff was super nice and pool awesome. Breakfast AWESOME! Breakfast area was a little crowded but we expected that. We stayed there Memorial Day weekend. Very large concert happening nearby for the entire weekend. We decided to stay here, because we had already been here and it was close the the concert. Since we had tickets for all 3 days, it was the best place to stay. There is a small pavilion when you can bring your own small pit and hang out there with your friends poolside. Kim was behind the front desk for most of our stay and she went above and beyond to make our stay there great!! Definitely will stay there again and would recommend it to everyone!

« Best Value in Baton Rouge »

We visited the BEST WESTERN PLUS Richmond Inn & Suites-Baton Rouge for our third and last time. Our daughter was volunteering the last year and this was our hotel choice for whenever we visited. I would say that I am sure there are nicer hotels in Baton Rouge and I am sure there are less expensive hotels in Baton Rouge. However, I think this hotel has to be the best combination and best value in Baton Rouge. You get a two room suite, a decent pool, a bar with great happy hour and free hors d'oeuvres, and a quality breakfast. The hotel is centrally located with easy highway access. We had an issue with our bedroom air conditioner right after we checked in, and the maintenance man came and replaced the hotel within the hour. The staff has always been friendly to us. We will miss coming to the Best Western Plus Richmond Suites.

« nightmare at the bestwestern »

Good Evening My name isJamie Franklin, I was a guest at your facility on May 20, 2016 at 8:30 pm. Upon my arrival I was greeted by what has to be someone in training, because the level of service I received they had to have been in training. I refuse to believe that you train your staff to be this rude and disrespectful. After what seemed to be a bad dream I went to my room to find that it indeed was not a dream and in fact the room was worse than Steven Spellberg movie. The air was filled with a damp mildew odor, and if that wasn't enough beverages were left in the refrigerator from previous guest. I assume the house keeping staff are all in training as well. While I was in AWE!!!!, I quickly discovered that the odor and the left over beverages was not the only problem at hand. The coupe de gras was when my husband went to the rest room to find that it too was not properly cleaned but had no shower curtain. i assumed that shower curtains were part of the room accessories but clearly it wasn't. It was validated by the service desk representative who informed me that I would have to wait until the next day to receive one. Never in my travel experience have i received such a low grade level of service. when one thinks of the Best Western you think nice, friendly environment with a peaceful nights sleep. that is one of the many reasons we chose your hotel. However, my thoughts are out dated, what I endured was not warm and friendly in fact it was down right horrid. In short to recap my experience; rude front desk personnel, a very unkempt room with NO shower curtain leaving me with the notion that the Best Western has either gone down in their standards of living or has lost respect for their customers. Which one applies to you Sir/Madame.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

Very Clear. Great Service. Quiet room. Larger rooms. I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always been satisfied. The staff is helpful and always there. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Location is next to freeway, but noise is not bad. Very easy access to any place in city

« You can't go wrong with this hotel »

For the money I spent this was a very nice hotel. Actually nicer than other hotels I've stayed in the area that cost much more. The fitness room was neat and well equipped. The breakfast buffet was also full of great choices. I choose to eat a healthy breakfast and I had plenty to choose from as well. Last but not least the room was very nice. Great bed and bedding, good desk and chair. I do a lot of work from my room. I had time this trip to take a dip in the pool. Again, very nice and welcoming pool area. Well done.

    « Exceptional! »

Very nice! Impressed with the size of the room. The breakfast was wonderful. It was so nice having the selection, and very unusual to have the china plates and silverware rather than the throw away plastic.

    « Quiet, well-kept rooms, excellent breakfast. Property well-maintained »

I have stayed at this property before. Always excellent. This time I ended up in a room close to IH-10 side of the property, but did NOT have any noise problems at all. Room well-maintained, clean. This property does excellent complimentary breakfasts! The cook makes homemade grits among the other standard hot breakfast offers of scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, etc. All Staff efficient, friendly. Highly recommend.

« Stay for LSU graduation »

We love this hotel, having suites with a full kitchen allows more family time and saves money! The hot breakfast is always good, the service great, a nice pool and hot tub, complementary appetizers in the lounge area during happy hour. The location is convenient to LSU as well. It's our geaux to place in Baton Rouge!

« Above average for econo lodging! »

It's not the Hilton but for it's category of lodging this hotel fits the bill. It's not high end but neither are the prices- but you can expect a comfortable stay with options of double queen beds and 2 full baths with separate living room. Not bad for the price. Especially if you travel with pets! Breakfast is provided with the room price- Large selection to choose from if your not a picky eater! Would stay there again.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Accessible to interstate and Town Center shopping. Friendly and helpful staff. That really sums it up, but review requires 200 characters so I had to add characters in order to offer comments for this hotel.

    « Totally Impressed! »

Jennifer, You have an exceptional property and a wonderful staff. I arrived prior to check in early Tuesday morning after driving 8 hours from Florida. Ms. Alexis partnered with housekeeping and made it possible for me to get a room; thus, I was able to freshen up, prepare for, and drive to a 12:30 p.m. meeting. The room was more than acceptable. It was clean, fresh, and attractive. The following morning after eating an outstanding hot breakfast, I unknowingly attempted to dispose of my tableware. Ms. Tina saw me, approached me, and gently coached me to simply leave everything on the table and "we" would take care of it. I am not a "feely-touchy" person and tend to self manage pretty well. However, these two interactions by your team members were so impressive. There attitude and professionalism brought great credit to your leadership, operations, service experience. Now, I have been a Hilton Honors VIP for 13+ years. I became a BW Rewards Member last month at your Smokey Mountains property. I haven't stayed at a Hilton hotel since! These types of employees are ones who should be retained, recognized, and developed because they LIVE THE BRAND! Congratulations and well done.

« Poor Service, Outdated, Dirty »

We were promised a king size bed when we called in to confirm our reservation, but we got 2 double beds upon arrival at 8 p.m. We were told we were bumped since we used Priceline. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone! The only thing good about is was the breakfast food. Even the ladies who work in the food area weren't friendly or courteous. There are so many other nice places to stay so don't waste your money!!!! Brian and Sara were the two nicest employees in the entire place. Thank God for them!!!!

« Nice Room, Gracious Staff »

I arrived with no room reservation because Chase Suites down the road didn't keep the reservation I'd made previously. I was irritated, and the staff's kindness - including a free drink voucher for the bar - made me glad I'd ended up at Best Western. They were super cool about understanding our situation and all of the staff - the manager, the ladies behind the desk, and even the bartender - were helpful and friendly. The room was nice (we had the two room suite), and the breakfast was delicious. The grounds were nice with a pool and basketball/volleyball court that looked well maintained (we didn't use them because we were busy). We'd stay here again for sure.

    « quality »

I am always happy to get home and see my children. We all look forward to staying here. For the price everything is great. They can swim, Play basketball, watch movies and play their games via the wi fi. We all look forward to the breakfast. And when its bed time, We love the beds.

    5
« Great hotel at a great price! »

Enjoyed my stay and looking forward to staying again in the future. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The one thing that could be upgraded was the internet service. It was spotty at best.

    1
    « dirty room »

The first room was unmade with dirty sheets on chair. Second room had stale odor, hot and the mattress cover was torn up and stained and balled up under a pillow. Never Again, We love Best Western and the quality was certainly not the standard of the Best Western majority. The General Manager was in but refused to talk to us and sent her secretary that said I'll give you 10% off - sorry you didn't get a clean room, but it happens. She said several other remarks - Horrible.

Great place especially for people traveling with a dog. Good location with a superb restaurant within a short walk.. Nice to have a bar on the premises and free hors d'oeuvres. Two rooms allows for maximum comfort.

    « Nice »

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are nice even though the paint is an ugly orangy-peach color. The furniture and bedding is comfy and clean. We stayed in a suite that was perfect for us and two grown sons. They had their own bathroom and living room. We brought our little dog and were impressed that there was a place for her to potty along with doggie bags for clean up. There was jumbalaya at happy hour which was pretty good. The breakfast was a good spread - bacon, grits, biscuits, hashbrowns along with cereal and breads. We will come back to this hotel when our daughter graduates from LSU.

    « excellent value »

Apart from a problem with the first room allocated ( had not been cleaned) our overall experience was excellent. The motel is situated just off I 12 and although close to the interstate was reasonably quite. Room was excellent value, with kitchenette, lounge area and bedroom (2 televisions). Nice area and close to restaurants and other shops

    « Great hotel! »

Very friendly staff. Felt like a much more expensive hotel. Wonderful environment. Nice quiet relaxing lounge with a very friendly bartender. Could use a better cooler for colder beer but otherwise perfect. Will stay here again if need arises.

« Spacious rooms and dog friendly »

The nicest Best Western we have stayed in yet. It had a full kitchen and separate lounge area. Very spacious and at a great price. Our dog was very comfortable and there were dog areas with poop bags provided. We arrived late at night and check in was a breeze, unfortunately we slept past breakfast so can't review. Overall, was perfect for our needs and we would stay here again if ever in the area.

    « Really nice hotel »

I / we have stayed here on 2 different occasions. Both have been first rate. We will stay here again if we need lodging in Baton Rouge. Great bed. Large room. Excellent amenities. Everything worked well. And the breakfast is excellent. Thanks

« Blocks "adult" content on the wifi »

Very serviceable low-end motel with the exception of blocking "adult" websites. Do other chains do this? It is disappointing, archaic and treats guests as infants. All this while serving an unhealthy breakfast near their attached bar. If only Best Western would get their priorities straight, stop censoring their web access, I wouldn't be looking to stay elsewhere.

    4
    « Great stay. »

We stayed there overnight on Good Friday. They had a Easter egg hunt. I found an egg and won a prize of 25% off of my next stay. They also served at the bar a complimentary bowl of seafood gumbo. A great touch to our stay. The breakfast in the morning was excellent.

    5
« Excellent Property - safe location next to great dining. »

This is a very nice Best Western. The breakfast is good and it is walking distance to some fabulous dining. It is next to a brew pub that has at least 100 beers on tap. It is clean and you will be safe walking around. This is definitely my go to property in Baton Rouge.

    3
    « INADEQUATE HANDICAP BATHROOM »

Handicap bathroom has very slippery shower stall. This is not what you would call adequate footing for a handicap accessible bathroom, especially when used by elderly handicapped. Also the hand held shower nozzle was not in working order.

« I wish I had more reasons to come to Baton Rouge! ! »

I do a lot of research before I book a hotel room. This hotel was great. No parking fees, breakfast, a basketball court, swimming pool, complimentary happy hour snack, and I got 2 coupons for a free bar drink! Staff was super helpful, hotel was quite, and in a great location. The bed was very firm but I didn't care and neither did my boys. I maybe a Best Western fan after this!!!

« Comfy Beds - fast wifi - NO BACON »

Perfect hotel for business travel - breakfast was well presented and had the usual assortment MINUS BACON. Just a thought here - if nobody serves those gross round sausage frisbess in their own homes maybe you should skip them in the breaky lineup. Never once have I woken up and thought to myself "you know, if only I had a few sausage frisbees in my belly I could really make something of this day."

    « $1000 and a Soiled SOFA BED....Unprofessional and RUDE »

The night front desk attendant Debbie was rude and unprofessional. She made sarcastic remarks such as "I wish you could count" in response to me asking for a certain number of towels. I awaited a call from the Front Desk Manager Gary Gillette all day on 2/29/16 he didn't call I had to call the hotel. He didn't care much about his rude employee as much he cared about not refunding my first nights stay for my almost 1K worth of rooms. I really thought that the guests mattered but I guess my money mattered more. I am now awaiting a call from the General Manager Jennifer Holmes. I had to switch rooms at 2 AM in the morning after a 7 hour drive and then experienced a soiled sofa bed. It was suggested by DEBBIE the night front desk attendant to move again to another room. I had to get another room due to the disgusting nature of the sofa bed it was soiled with a liquid substance. It was late and I didn't want to move my small children again. But no one really understood that. I was also told by DEBBIE that the hotel was fully booked and I knew the following day that I would not be back until it was late from our event. I was told to leave the hotel at midnight after DEBBIE got irate and unprofessional with me. It is obvious that this hotel needs to have workshops on conflict resolutions and working with diverse guests. USATF has a corporate contract with this hotel chain and I working diligently to have that contract reviewed and possibly eliminated. It is an Olympic year and I am former professional sprinter and I have traveled numerous times and I have never been treated with such lack of professionalism. More reviews to come from myself and other coaches that stayed at the hotel.

« Best sleep and Super quiet »

This hotel was so nice, This has got to be the best hotel I have been in during my trips home. I am originally from Baton Rouge, now reside in Texas and my hubby and I sometimes require privacy and this hotel gave us all that and more. The staff were friendly from the beginning to end, very helpful and inviting. The fireplace was cozy soon as we walked in, Bonus. There is a full breakfast with meat, a real breakfast. The parking lot is well lit and we were able to literally park right outside our window and because its next to the freeway, was no problem hardly any interstate noise. There's a Happy Hour with reasonable priced drinks and hors d'oeuvres, which to me was a small meal. My husband and I will definitely be returning to this hotel, Now the only thing my small complaint was that my room did not have a tub, I really wanted to soak and relax., but it was still an Awesome stay.

    « Visit to LSU »

This hotel met and exceeded all of my expectations! The suite was very nice and the personnel were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our visit. « Business Trip »

Overall the hotel was pleasant and staff were helpful and friendly. The amenities were excellent. They breakfast was well prepared and kept fresh. The hotel lounge/bar was nice and provided a relaxing atmosphere. The pool was nice and they even had a small basketball court. I would advise to request a room facing the pool and/or away from the interstate to help reduce noise levels.

    « Pleasant surprise »

This is a fully serviced "Oasis in the Bayou". We never expected the quality this hotel represents at the value pricing. This is the way it should be, but seldom is. we will be back to enjoy the pleasant, clean, quiet rooms. We highly recommend this Best Western location to all passing through Baton Rouge.

    « AAAA very nice »

The best sleeping bed I have ever slept in, in a Hotel. Very friendly staff and pet friendly too. They give you a ball for your dog to play with and a blanket for him to sleep on. Very professional staff. Clean room, nice bathroom with double sinks and a tile shower. Sit down breakfast that was very good.

    « great midpoint stopover »

for the price and value, this hotel was much better than other hotels we've used as stopovers when making trip between San Antonio, TX and Huntsville, AL. Breakfast offering cut down time it would have taken to stop some place else before getting back on the road.

« Quiet, Clean, and Convenient »

Quiet, Clean, and Convenient. Very Helpful staff, and our room was great. Nothing too fancy, but NOTHING was shabby. As someone once said, "it's not the presence of great stuff, it's the lack of bad stuff".

    « PERFECT :) »

PERFECT!! My fiance and I had arrived rather late due to driving in from Houston,Tx. We were both very very tired but the two young ladies at the front lobby around 9:30pm, were GREAT! That caught my attention, Knowledgeable and very friendly. Gary was also very helpful. He helped get my reservation going and answered all of many questions I had. Excellent service from the front desk staff overall! If I ever come to visit the city again, I would MOST CERTAINLY stay there for all visits.

« Best Western Plus was great! »

    « Weekend in Baton Rouge - Jan 2016 »

I was VERY impressed with the cleanliness, and high level of customer service at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with such respect and kindness. The staff truly wanted to ensure my comfort during the duration of my stay. The full breakfast and cocktail hour were certainly wonderful parts of my stay too. I was in Building D, and I did hear some noise, but nothing excessive, and nothing that lasted longer than a few moments. I intend to make this my normal hotel to stay in for future visits to Baton Rouge. Right off the interstate, VERY close to great restaurants, and 10mins from my alma mater LSU....WONDERFUL HOTEL! They really are a shining example of how hotels should be. The Best Western organization should be very proud of this staff and location.

Nice appearance of facility, the staff was very helpful and courtious. Adequate parking available. Hotel has nice amenities and has been upgraded. This property was the quietest over night that I have ever stayed in through out my travels. Did not experience noise either out in the hallways in the middle of the night or road noise penetrating the room. Just wonderrful!!!

« Hotel of Choice in BR »

This was our third stay at this hotel in the last 18 months. We travel mainly for swim meets and the rooms are spacious for our family of 2 or 4 depending on who comes. We've stayed in the suite and double room and both have been wonderful. The staff each time has been attentive, polite and professional. This is always our first choice for overnight stays in BR.

    « Wonderful Stay »

I had a great stay at the best western, everything was an A+ . My check in was very quick and easy the front desk attendant was sweet as a lady bug she explained everything to us and quickly but us in the desired room we requested at check in. we also had an broken mirror I called the front desk and spoke with the same worker that checked us in to advise her that our mirror was broken she noted it and said she would make sure we wouldn't be charged, minutes later she called back to make sure everything in the room was okay and nothing else was broken. Nice room will be staying here again !

« I consider Best Western my home away from home »

Whenever we travel, our first choice is Best Western for many reasons. 1. When we are on Pleasure trip, we can take our pets with us 2. They have a wonderful laundry facility available to their guests. 3. Their breakfasts, etc are always delightful 4. Most important you know you are going to have a great room. 5. The employees are always very helpful.

    5
    « Great Stay »

The rooms were huge, the service was great and the beds were awesome. Definitely a great find for a great price. They offered a full service breakfast buffet. With the two room suite, we had more than enough room for five people. Having two bathrooms was an awesome bonus!

    « Updated Bathrooms & Amazing/Full Breakfast »

Updated bathrooms with tile shower (no tub in our room). Funny pattern curtains were the only thing I could find "out of place" with our stay. Breakfast had a lot of options: eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, grits, oatmeal, bagels/toast, fruit, juice.

Outstand Staff and lodging except for the broken shower faucet. My wife is a quadriplegic and could not use the roll-in shower without assistance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone because of the courteous staff and outstanding services. The free breakfast is the best I have ever seen anyplace.

    « Just Don't Look Very Close »

This hotel looked like it was going to be great when I found it and parked. Then the issues started before I even got to my room's door. First, the suite's door's are located outside while the others are contained within a building. This doesn't necessarily mean something bad, but when it's very obvious that the area isn't cleaned regularly it becomes an issue. Second, opening the door to the room greets you with a mildew-y smell. Like the room had flooded and only the carpet was changed out. Third, all the corners of every room had dirt in them, especially the bathroom. Fourth, the sheets the cleaning staff swapped out for the second night stay had dirt on them. How did they not notice it?! Fifth, the breakfast looked like it was going to be awesome. Then I poured some apple juice and tasted it. It was very sour. So I threw that cup away and got some orange juice instead. Same issue! I could see one maybe getting old, but two different drinks with the same sour taste? Apparently this hotel doesn't take cleaning very seriously at all. Definitely wouldn't stay at it again.

    5
« Great hotel (and Pet Friendly) »

This was a great find! I found myself in Baton Rouge without hotel reservations and with my dogs. I looked up pet friendly hotels in the area of LSU, and this one came up. The price was great even with the $20/night pet fee. It was much cheaper than another hotel I looked at that was much further away. The property is in great condition and it's very pleasant. There's a courtyard around the pool and a sports court. Also a fire pit table in the pool area. The breakfast was definitely one of the nicest free breakfasts I've had at a hotel (& better than many I've paid for). They also had free appetizers at night with a very reasonably priced bar. I will definitely be staying here again for my next Baton Rouge trip. The only downside would be the freeway noise from our room, but a little noise doesn't bother me, and it's convenient to have it so close to the freeway.

Richmond Suites Best Western is my favorite place to stay in Baton Rouge. Great location and amenities at a reasonable rate. The breakfast far exceeds those offered by competition. I've been staying at this property since it opened and rarely ever stay anywhere else because the quality is consistent and the perks like snacks in the bar are appreciated.

    « Nice hotel »

We have stayed at this hotel many times. It's in a great location, convenient to shopping, LSU and restaurants. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and the hot breakfast is very good. When we go to Baton Rouge, this is the first hotel we look for availability.

« Love, love Best Western! »

Always consistently the best value in accommodations. I always feel very safe and relaxed staying at a Best Western. Their staff go out of their way to make sure you have the perfect stay. I don't consider any other hotel !!

« Great pet friendly hotel! »

My husband and I stopped in Baton Rouge on our way from Florida, we stayed in the Presidential suite and it was by far the nicest best western I've ever stayed in. The price was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again

« EXCELLENT Pet friendly hotel »

We stayed in a truly awful Ramada pet friendly hotel in Biloxi/Ocean Springs earlier in the month so we were very surprised and PLEASED when we got to the Best Western Plus and the accommodations were far superior. Not only did they have BOTH reservations as requested with no issues, they ended up giving us a better rate based on my Dad's military service. This hotel, in addition to being truly pet friendly!(they provide puppy blankets and treats and umbrellas to walk in the pet area if it's raining!), is EXCELLENT. It was clean, the beds are very comfortable (I wanted one for my house!), and it's very quiet and located near a lot of restaurants and a Starbucks so we didn't have to go far for the morning back-on-the-road java. My mom and brother were too tired to go out and eat so they ordered in from a choice of many places, and were pleased with their food as well. The breakfast was excellent the following morning, and the showers had plenty of hot water and very clean, and they will provide extra towels if you ask. . I've stayed in very expensive, top rated hotels that weren't this comfortable or nice. I will definitely be staying here next year when we travel to FL again - in both directions. The staff was very friendly, answered all our questions, they only charged one 20.00 pet fee even though we had three dogs (unlike the other place that gauged us for 3 fees even though they were all in the same room). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great, safe, comfortable place to stay in Baton Rouge.

« Nicest and best Best Western »

Very nice place. Front desk people very friendly. Very welcoming lobby with water and newspapers. Nice breakfast area and very good selection of food.First Best Western I have ever seen with a bar area and snacks. Excellent location off the highway but rooms are very quiet. Very clean rooms and pet friendly with a pet walking area to the side of the building. Looks like a nice pool area which we did not use. We would definitely come back here again.

    « Great Deal! »

Looking for a great deal with quality service, convenient location, and full breakfast? Best Western Plus is the place to be! I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Pus for the conference I attended in Louisiana Baton Rouge. What made my stay great was not only the great deal I received but wonderful customer service and I received.

    « Weekend trip »

I love staying at this hotel. The rooms are huge, it is quiet, beds sleep good. Had the best water pressure for a shower I have ever seen in a hotel. The breakfast was great. Is in a great location close to LSU stadium.

    « Not what I expected »

The room had a musty odor and the furniture had large dirt/water rings. For that reason we did not use those items. The buffet staff was not welcoming, nor very pleasant or helpful. I will not stay at a Best Western in Baton Rouge again. I will instead stay at a Hilton hotel.

    « Always a top choice »

Travelled to Baton Rouge hoping for a beautiful weekend with the family. Rain, more rain, heavy rain, ugh! Friendly check-in, warm comfortable beds, clean room. A wonderful stay. Love walking into a room that is clean and doesn't have a "trying to cover cigarette smoke" smell. Always looking for free Wi Fi, a good free breakfast, and not have to go broke to get them! You've got it here!

    « Great Stay »

I checked into the BW Richmond and was greeted with a warm welcome. That night from 5-7pm they had complimentary seafood gumbo for all of the guest in the bar area. The staff was extremely friendly, and even called my room after check in to make sure everything was acceptable. We were on a road trip, and were pleased that the hotel had a laundry room (only $1 a load). The hotel also had a basketball court, fitness center, and pool. The property was well maintained and clean. Free hot breakfast in the morning. The area was safe, and there were restaurants close by. Overall a pleasant stay, and would recommend.

    « Awesome guys trip »

My brother and I brought our sons to an LSU football game and very much enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and the pool area was very clean. We even got in a few games of basketball, but our favorite part of the stay was the free hot breakfast! The choices were great and the food was excellent. We arrived late on Friday night and the TV was not working. I called the front desk and within 45 minutes, the repairman was in our room! This exceeded my expectation, because I thought it would be the next day before he would come. I would definitely stay again.

    « Quite and Comfortable! »

Hidden one block off I-10/S. College, this quaint place is surprisingly quite. The lobby is pretty and comfortable. Full American Breakfast was delicious; scrambled eggs, grits, oatmeal, sausage, cereal, pastries, coffee. Hot tea selections limited to a good quality Earl Grey and Passion Herbal; and this was the one time I didn't bring my own Scottish Breakfast. The separate buildings make it a great place for families and groups. The pool and a small basketball court are in the middle where everyone can gather. The fitness room is there too. Lots of fresh air! My room backed up to the interstate but my room was perfectly quite. I slept like a rock. The corridors and rooms smell fresh and clean. Wall paper and paint is up to date. All plumbing worked well. Very roomy rooms. Comfortable beds! Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant lounge in the lobby.

    « Poor customer service »

The hotel is what you would expect, but the staff from the manager on down is extremely blind to issues by the customer. I had a major issue with my bill and could not get Gary, the manager to return my call or meet me at the front desk to get it resolved. I would not stay there.

    « Better than Best »

This hotel suites are like a Condominium , so much room comfortable bed, loaded with Amenities, added plus..A real breakfast buffet..very large pool..Balcony suites..the best by far as for a Hotel. If you ever in the area do stay here. One little con is that there are no elevators to the second floor , but the corridors are secured and inside. If I come back, this is my first choice. Very nice staff.. Good job Best Western at this property

« Do not stay here! »

There were bugs in the bed, asked to move, that room was extremely hot and had a strong odor. Was told would move again, but never heard back from front desk. There was no microwave in the room, was told would get one delivered. Did not happen. Was promised some type of compensation. Did not happen. Management will not return calls!

    « fair at best »

room a bit malodorous...tv internet problems all week and actually not available for one day of stay. Good location and value okay. Pool hot tub in good repair. Breakfast adequate especially for kids....did run out of coffee often and seemed to have no procedures in place to keep it flowing

    « Excellent motel »

This was a great hotel with a great staff and was an excellent value. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You will experience true "Southern Hospitality" here. Is that 200 characters? Okay, nine more.

« Very comfortable and pet friendly »

Traveling with two large dogs for the first time and could not have asked for a better experience. The front desk clerk welcomed us with a toy for the dogs and happily answered all of our questions. There is a nice dog walking area, and the rooms with the outside patios were perfect for both man and beast. We made it a point to reserve a room for our return trip.

« Excellent price and excellent hotel »

I was amazed at what I got for such a great price. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the internet speedy, the fitness room above average, and the breakfast delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

    « UNATTENTIVE DESK CLERKS »

Don' let the first impression fool you! The staff seem to be attentive and tell you they will check things for you; but my persona experience shown this to be a false hood! First night we had an A/C problem, hot air and a very hot to touch unit. Front desk said someone would be there in 10 min. The time was 8;45 pm. He came at 9;30 pm. He was there until 11;20 pm. He said if he knew it would have this long he would have had us moved to another room. We are seniors and usually retire earlier than midnight. Considering the late time of needing this service; changing rooms was the logical solution. Our 2 nd night stay was to be same rate as first. Upon check- out we found it to be almost double and no AAA discount was given. Desk clerk said she would have to get a manager she couldn't fix it. This seemed strange to me since they can upon check-in. My first night had shown this discount so they should excuse for not giving it to me. I have called this hotel upon my arrival home and told them that I had had no response from anyone. They again assured me that a manager would contact me. It has been a week now, and still no response. I'm calling this passing the buck. My feelings as of now, no more Best Western Plus for me. P.S. Just what does that PLUS mean???

    « WOW! »

This is by far the nicest Best Western that we have stayed at. Very professional staff, immaculate property, and very close to the interstate! There is plenty of things to do and see in the immediate area, and we will definitely be returning to this property for another stay when we have more time!

« Geared for Long Term - Good for Pets »

Seems to be a good set up for long term stay with reasonable kitchen accommodations. Great area for pet exercise and elimination. Friendly staff. No luxuries but good basics. Spacious room - could be cleaner. Our puppy grazed under the bed, to our dismay. Not sure what all she found there.
