Great place to stay in Bastia, a short walk down the hill to the centre of town. Hotel is very clean and modern, and feels very luxurious. Staff are helpful and really helped to accommodate our honeymoon request. Breakfast was a great selection of hot and cold food and we would recommend. Room lovely and clean, great air con and even had a kettle and tea/coffee. Bathroom was big with shampoo/shower gel and a large walk in shower. Would definitely recommend and we will return next time we are in Bastia.

Rooms were modern, thoughtfully appointed, and tastefully furnished. Our family of four got 2 connecting classic rooms. The best part was definitely the staff. So professional, so efficient, so helpful, and very kind, especially to the children. They were always 2 steps ahead - eg asking if we needed dinner in the downstairs restaurant, giving a small gift to the children to occupy them at breakfast, and asking if we knew where to park. We will be back in Bastia in a week and staying at the Best Western again. Highly recommend this hotel.

The view from the highest floor (room) is amazing! Comfy bed and Restaurant. Love the details, colors and furnitures too! A whole cabinet is in the room full of dishes and cutlery in case needed. Great ambience, kind staff (though language was a bit barrier), and delicious Breakfast! Oh, and cleanliness is Top! :)

About 20 minutes walking distance to town center. Room clean and reasonably sized. Quiet (room no 06). Do not eat there, half of the dishes were not available. Our choice (fish and Burger) turned out to be completely overcooked.

I come to this hotel for the last 14 years and I only saw it improving (rooms, lobby and the restaurant). Can be a bit noisy from street traffic, but all in all a very good choice in Bastia. I can recommend it without hesitation.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night from August 19th - August 20th and booked 1 double and 1 single room. The hotel is a 3 star but we felt we were in a 4 star hotel. It's so modern and beautiful. The rooms are great, spacious and comfortable. The AC is powerful. The staff is amazing. The breakfast is superb. This will definitely be the hotel we stay at in the future if we decide to go to Bastia again.

I booked one night in Bastia. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was good, there was air conditioning and good WiFi. The hotel also has a private parking upon payment. You can also park free along the road. The hotel is very close to the harbour. The breakfast was very good even though a little bit too expensive, at least for me. All in all, I recommend it for spending time in Bastia.

We arrived with our sick daughter from the boat. The staff was super friendly and gave us a studio where we could already enter at 9.00. Everybody wasreally nice. The studio super clean with fantastic beds and a great bathroom. Also airco which was needed cause outside it was 35 degrees

After several traditional hotels with poor WiFi and handheld showers over baths, the Best Western is a 'breath of fresh air'. Service was good. Excellent, extensive breakfast. And we got a late check-out before our early-afternoon ferry.

Nice and clean hotel, covid-proof and fresh buffet style breakfast. Friendly staff. 15 minute walk from de city center. One of our better stays in a hotel in Corsica. We used the parking garage off the hotel for 15 euros/day. Best to reserve in advance

We just stayed for one night at our arrival in Corsica and had a surprisingly pleasant stay. Hotel was recently refurbusihed and is nicely decorated hotel. Staff is kind and willing to help. The breakfast is amazing, the best one we had of all our holidays.

This may not be right in the centre of town but it really is only a 15 minute walk. There is a local bus also. If you are looking for right in the centre and not up for a 15 min walk this may not be for you. The room was great and had everything I needed and all the staff were very helpful. If you have a car I would recommend booking the hotels car park as there are lots of offices around here and there's big competition for the street parking places. Very happy with my choice and definitely recommend.

The staff as very helpfull, even our ferry was start early morning and they wait with breakfast even if it was 05am in the morning. Thank you for your kindless. The locationof the hotel is easy to reach the port side of the city of Bastia.

We stayed 1 night at the Best Western hotel and left with a smile on our faces. Both Madeline and Noureddine gave excellent customer service! We even decided to return later on in the week. When we arrived after having a long journey we decided to order something from the restaurant. There was a party happening which resulted the waiters being slightly stressed out. Noureddine helped his colleagues out by taking food/beverage orders. We think he deserves recognition for this. We look forward in visiting the Best Western once again in the future!

After arriving at 19h on the ferry, it was a short trip to the Best Western in central Bastia. Its a nice hotel that features everything you need. Modest but very clean, nice roos and a very nice staff. The hotel is very calm! They have a closed parking garage which we appreciated a lot. The attached restaurant served standard but good food. We highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Bastia

This hotel is a 15 minute walk to downtown Bastia. Be careful for some reason the GPS makes you drive around in circle even though it is straight up the street . Nice rooms . Indoor and outdoor (gated ) parking . They have a good selection breakfast buffet I believe it is 12 euros . Easy location to get in and out of Bastia .

This hotel is not in a great location and the room are not great, carpet and very basic bathroom that made me dizzy! The hotel staff is not welcoming and it is a bit far to walk to the port with a hill to climb up and down everytime you need to go back to your room. A lot of fast moving traffic in front of the hotel so quite noisy if you have a room facing the street.

The Hotel was well placed in the city center. Friendly staff, room was comfortable and had a large terrace. We were very lucky and found a parking spot around the corner. Street parking was free and we did not have to use the paid hotel parking. A definite bonus was the little mini-bar fridge in the room. These are not common in Corsican hotels. The nearest beach was a 20 minute walk away.

Great location in Bastia if you need to catch an early Ferry. Has great secure Ferrari freindly parking (you do need to book this in advance). Plenty of workers type bistros for lunch within a couple of minutes walk. These however close in the evening however no big deal as it is only a 15 minutes walk to the centre. It is however up hill all thec way back.

A good 20 minute walk from the ferry terminal up a steep hill.A ten minute walk from the train station. Receptionist on arrival was very helpful. Room was comfortable. One big failing hot water connected to cold water outlet in basin. Do when you turned the cold water on you hot water burning your fingers which would be quite dangerous if a child had of used the tap. When we advised the receptionist she said it would be fixed which it wasnt. She showed no sympathy and there was no apology from her. It still wasnt fixed by by the time we left the next day. This is why we gave it three stars.

I have to admit that it wasn't like "Love at first sight ", but once we got to know the place, the staff, I simply felt like home. The room was cleaned properly, the receptionists were kind and helpful, breakfast was pretty OK. The only thing I didn't enjoy that much was probably the location, I mean it was only the fact that sometimes I didn't fancy that walk back to the hotel when it was too hot. The hotel isn't that far away from downtown, but it's summer time and that says it all. All in all, we had a really nice stay, it really seems that they want to provide a good service to the people and that's something to be appreciated. Thank you!

The hotel is nice, comfy for business, but not really for family vacation. In case you have a rental car and a access to the open terrace on the third floor you ca fit your family here for a vacation. The rooms doesn't have a terrace and no fridge in the room. But again in case you ask, you will get help from the staff and you will be sorted out with ice and fridge from the bar. The personnel is nice and very helpful if they understand what you need. The breakfast was good, but missing in variety, (more involvement/ creativity from the staff will be necessary ) especially if you stay longer. Location is good for fit people, close to the center but in hot weather is a struggle for less fit/ older people if you return to the hotel. Overall excellent for businnes and with personal improvements(rental car, help from the reception/bar ...) good for family vacation.

if you're looking for a typical Mediterranean atmosphere, you'll be disappointed for sure. but if you're looking for a very confortable, clean, AC, modern (and still very welcoming!) place to stay in Bastia, you found the right spot! oh, and you pet will be welcomed too!!

I can't knock this hotel as they catered for us with all other options exhausted. Our group is big and once again after several reminders yet another hotel out of beer within an hour of our arrival. Only the very expensive stuff left but no bartering on the price considering our spend was nearly €4000 in total. Food, rooms, and service were good, hotel what you'd expect from Best Western but something wasn't quite clicking. Maybe a recent renovation disturbed the karma. Town centre a 10min walk but incline is fairly steep. Bastia is a typical island port town, busy and vibrant... Good parking under hotel and reception staff very helpful throughout our stay. As a group that has spent an awful lot of money over 20 years cycling in France, there seems a touch of complacency creeping in as highlighted at this hotel. Recent trips to Spain and Italy have exposed that. For an individual or small group this is the perfect hotel...it's quiet location ticks a lot of boxes. For a big group it just didn't quite hit the spot after 120miles cycling across the island from Ajaccio

We stayed here for 4 nights in the end of May during our 10 days' trip to Corsica. Our room was spacy enough, very clean with comfortable bed and shower. Wi-Fi was supergood. Personnel is friendly and helpful - nothing to complain. The Hotel is located on a small hill in 10 minutes' walk from the city center. It was not a problem for us, but if you are not in fit, it's better to rent a car. Also, our room (#303) had a road view, so it was a bit noisy, but it was bearable. As for the breakfasts, yep, it's 11.50 EUR per person, but they are so plentiful and tasty that you won't find anything better at the same cost, believe me. It was a very good stay and I would rate Best Western as a 4 stars hotel.

Spent two nights. Below are my observations: Clean Helpful, English speaking front desk staff Good sized room and bathroom Sink had problems draining Toilet ran all the time WiFI required repeatedly logging on Ground level room on second night smelled terrible, like automotive fumes. I was grateful to wake up the next morning. Restaurant had only one person serving tables and struggled to take care of everyone. Limited menu and was out of pizza FYI, location is not in the center of tourist area and involves a walk up/down a hill. No restaurants open nearby in the evening. You must walk to the tourist zone. Parking is an extra charge. 5 euro per night in the surfaced lot.

We arrived without a reservation on a cold and wet evening and were welcomed and given excellent prices for three rooms. The rooms were large, comfortable and modern, and even provided facilities for making a hot drink, something that is unusual in Europe. Sure, the bathrooms were pre fab style, but still roomy enough, modern and very clean. Highly recommended. I would suggest eating elsewhere, however. We ate in house as it was cold and wet outside and we were tired. The food is obviously reheated and not prepared freshly on the premises (apart from the simple salads). Food was tolerable but overpriced and not particularly inventive or reflective of Corsican cuisine.

Have been there for one night after arriving by the ferry. Parking is good if you get a place inside the garage (8€), street parking is maybe difficult, depending on the time of the day and season. Rooms are Best Western standard, you know what you get and won't be disappointed. Breakfast is worth the money, the offer are wide selection of all kind of stuff including local things. Checkin and checkout was pretty fast. We walked down the hill to the city center to have a dinner. It not that far, takes about 15 minutes.

This hotel is not typical best western standard. It appears to be an ibis hotel with a new name. Rooms very basic with pre fab shower rooms small windows . Food was dreary and seemed to consist of microwave ready meals. Boring breakfast. The shady terrace was no more than an outdoor smoking area. The hotel is up a very steep hill and a long walk from the main square and old port. Not a good choice if you are a tourist and really suited to business people overnighting. Only positives are friendly staff comfy bed and noisy but efficient air con. Our room was described as a suite but was just a normal room with a sofa bed. On a busy road with bright lights outside shining at windows.

Clean and quiet room, good shower, coffee and tea, but no refrigerator. Cold drinking water with lemon, is provided in reception for free.The hotel is a bit out of the centre, but it is walkable and a bit of a climb when it is hot. There is a free shuttlebus from the city of Bastia, that starts at the trainstation (10 min. from the hotel) and brings you to the citadel. This can help! The hotel has a small terrace at the street, to sit outside if you like. At 5 to10 min. from the hotel, a bit farther away from the city, there is a big supermarket Leclercq, and even closer, there is a good bakery. We did not try the buffet breakfast in the hotel, but we tried the express breakfast at the bar (6 euro per person). Do not do that, it is a joke! We only got a very small glass of juice out of a bottle, so not fresh, half of a cup filled with hot water and 1 tea bag, and 4 mini-viennoiseries per person. If we asked for some more, or just some baguette, a very rude barman answered us, that we had to make a choice, only the 4 mini-viennoiseries or baguette and that we only payed 6 euro per person. When he went away, a kindly lady who had heard the discussion, brought us some extra mini-viennoiseries. Bad experience. So, the following morning, we made our own coffee and tea in the room and went to the bakery for big croissants and big butter biscuits.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room is basic but provides most things to make a pleasant stay. Bed comfortable and choice of soft and firm pillows. Only disposable cups available so taints the tea and coffee. The walk into the port area is a quick down hill walk. Hot and up hill return. A pleasant stay.

This was a wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The superior room was very comfortable and well maintained. It was very clean ( compliments to the staff). We really valued the air conditioning. We enjoyed the 10 minute walk into the centre of Bastia where we could access all that this town has to offer.

It's actually quite a long walk from the centre, especially on the ascending way back. The rooms are well equipped but the curtains don't prevent the sun light from entering the window, which is bad for your sleep quality early morning.

Comfortable hotel. Located a bit away from the city centre though. 10 minutes on foot from the railway station, where the bus to/from the airport stops. This is not a big deal if there is no luggage, otherwise the way to the hotel is a bit uphill. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the city, citadel. The room was good, with all needed. A complementary bottle of water and a tea kettle are in the room. Wifi works very well. Good breakfast. Nice, efficient staff. Check-in time is 16:00, I came at 15 and something and was ready to wait in the lobby, but the room was available and I got the key without any delays.

We spent 3nights, 4days at Best Weatern in Bastia. The stuff was kind, the hotel is clean. So, I won't say that was bad because it wasn't however I will mentione same 'small surprises'. Surprises which by the way, didn't hurt me but lets say that its worth to be pointed out: - parking spot: you need to pay 8eur for a place in the underground parking and/or 5eur for outside parking. - breakfast: no diversity! Every morning the same thing: a kind of ham, a kind of salami, a kind of cheese, boiled eggs, jams, butter and some pancakes. Coffee, tea, water and ok, 2 types of bread. - after cleaning, in the room persist a bad smell - I think because poor quality of the detergents. So, yes, I see things to improve and easily! The hotel is located east (and uphill) of the city centre. So you need a 20-30 minutes walk to get there. Driving the car in town at the end of pm is impossible. The hotel is nice, very clean and well kept. Happy with the stay.

We stayed there for 3 day and 2 nights. It was a good and comfortable stay. Breakfast spreads was nice. The rooms are exactly shown in the pictures. They have spacious room n tea kettle was provided in the room. Over all it was a great experience.

This hotel is located up the hill a bit from the centre of town, but it was good to have the 15 minute walk each way to dinner. Good to find an electric jug in room to easily get a coffee/tea. Good garage for bikes. Easy 5 minute drive to ferry terminal for morning ferry after early breakfast.

A late night check in after long day so not in the most favourable review mode. Nonetheless the staff were welcoming and helpful. Excellent free wifi throughout the premises and the rooms were clean, comfortable and furnished in a modern style. I would guess they have viewed the Ibis format!

Comfortable room with wifi, room safe, kettle, air conditioning and even an umbrella! Bathroom was a pod-style and clean with a decent shower and hair dryer. Reasonably good sound insulation, although I could still hear the lift. It's not far from the town – a 10 minute walk downhill past the station to the main port, however, it is a steep hill and walking up took a lot longer. The hotel was fine for one night and we chose it because of the underground car park (at €8 a night) and because it was easy to find. We didn't eat at the hotel.

Hotel is located on outskirts of Bastia, but as town is small you are 15-20 minutes walk from main attractions. We had difficulties finding parking lot for our car as almost all lots were occupied. Hotel itself is quite standard. We had to pass breakfast room on our way to ground floor rooms- bit strange. Wi-fi was working OK.

we stayed only one night. the staff was friendly, the hotel as such quite run down. the bathroom was clean, even though it was a plastic cabin in the room. the bed was mediocre and the carpet quite old. i wouldn't really reccomend the place except if you need to just spend a night to cath a boat next day. garage was 8 euro and breakfast would have cost for us an extra 45 euro for four people. all in all paying 200 euro for staying for one night in a 3* hotel is really steep.

A decent hotel for really short stays, but a bit overpriced. We booked a superior room with extra large beds. The price was 120 euro, breakfast excluded. We got a room that looked less than 18 sq.m. with a module plastic bathroom, like in a trailer. It must have been much cheaper than making a normal bathroom... The bed was nothing special, but ok for one night, especially that we are now travelling with our own pillows. More important was that the room was really clean. The view was on the parking of the nearby block of flats. There is no parking available on site, but there is a garage. When we arrived, it was full, so we had to find a place on the street. Luckily, we found a free space some 100 meters away, otherwise the area is pretty crowded with cars. As to the location of the hotel, theoretically it is not too far from the center, but on practice it is located in the middle of nowhere, as there is nothing of any interest around. What i did really like was the staff at the reception. After we checked-in they really helped us a lot to order pizza into the room and with other questions. They were polite, patient and helpful.

We chose this hotel based on price/location and staying for just one night. The rooms are ok-ish, small but with a comfortable bed and coffee/tea making facilities. The bathroom is a prefabricated very small shower unit, very much like what you get in a cabin on a ferry. The hotel has an outdated feel with carpets everywhere. There is only a very small outdoor seating area (for smokers) right next to the entrance and the road. Outdoor parking available at a fee. Even if it was just for one night, I wish we would have stayed somewhere with a bit more character and atmosphere.

My ranking may be a bit harsh but I was disappointed by my stay. The hotel was not too far from downtown but this was a good walk uphill; the room had small cheap showers, and I found the staff to be too unaccomodating (although not unpleasant). May be ok for business travelers for a short stay but not for a vacation.

Modern, but somewhat small room. Good breakfast. Garage is available, but there is also plenty of free street parking nearby. Friendly staff and good housekeeping. Not a typical vacation hotel, but since the location is fairly close to the city center it is still a good alternative.

Atfter arriving with the ferry at 8pm, we have chosen this hotel to spend one night before venturing deeper into Corsica. The hotel is very clean, functional and calm. It was a very could decision to stay there and I can only recommend this hotel for staying in Bastia!

Hotel is at the top of a very steep hill but parking available underneath hotel for 8 euro. Room was quite cosy with a travelcot provided by the hotel. Bathroom is a small cubicle. Bed was comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. 10 minute walk into centre of Bastia.

This Hotel offers everything that one needs, comfort, efficiency and friendliness, without the price tag that "kills" your budget! It is close to the center of town, but still a bit away from noise and the smell of cars. If you don't need a super big room, this is a great place to stay for a short vacation or a business visit.

Nice hotel in Bastia, approx. 1 km from town center (downhill going and climbing up on return); no services in the near. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms but no refrigerator in room. Good service, rooms were clean and with all comforts. Quite position with no traffic during the night. Excellent breakfast buffet, even if a little expensive (but it's a classic in Corse...). Good room "sur la cour" was quiet. Large with pleasant decor. Breakfast was adequate. Extra blanket and heater available when central heating has been turned off for spring. The staff could be less arrogant, not that I care.

Good location for car ferry service. Staff was friendly and hotel is very clean. Location is within walking distance to town and the hotel provides parking. The staff helped us a great deal with the ferry schedule and were quite accommodating.

We stayed there a few night in July 2015. The hotel is about 15-20 minutes of walk from the core of the city and restaurants, with a steep hill to walk upon return from the city. The hotel is well located to reach Cap-Corse or St-Florent surrounding area. The hotel is clean, comfortable, good service, quiet, plenty of parking (indoor and outdoor are different price) and as well, possible to park in the surrounding steet without a problem. They have a paid breakfast buffet in the morning, decent quality with a little terrace outdoor to relax for a coffee... Going back to Bastia, I would consider staying at this hotel again!

Stayed here for one night to catch an early morning ferry, its no more than 15 minutes walk down the hill. Room was adequate for my needs, hotel has parking that you pay for but you can drop off at a layby out the front. Would use again but only for 1 night if catching a ferry.

Nice hotel, good size bedroom, excellent shower. Helpful,staff. Good breakfast selection. Only downside, hotel at top of hill! Parking difficult, however hotel has underground car park, 8 euros per day.

It is obvious that this hotel was originally an IBIS. The layout of the rooms correspond with normal IBIS rooms. I assume that after renovation during 2010 the hotel went under Best Western management.

This hotel is a great standard and was a great value. Nice comfortable room, very clean, air conditioning, excellent service, nice buffet breakfast which was extra for us, all at a very reasonable price. Our only concern is that it is up a steep hill from the center of old town and the port. We walked with our luggage, but if we had to do it again, we would opt for a taxi or the bus to get up the hill with luggage.

We have stayed in Bastia for the last two years the night before we get the morning ferry. The location is 5-10 minutes walk ( downhill) to the square which is buzzing with out door bars and just round the corner from the Old Port which is really nice. I would recommend getting a taxi back up to the hotel and the cost was €10 - with a 6 & 4 year old this was money well spent. We had pre booked parking but forgot to tell them we had a roof box so we couldn't go in the underground car park. However the staff were very helpful and rang around the guests so we could use the secure above ground car park at the rear. The rooms were really very nice indeed with the only gripe ( probably my fault) was that I couldn't get the air con set right and the room was too hot for me. We left early in the morning so I can't rate the breakfast. Would I stay again? Yes I would

Clean and quiet hotel, comfortable bed,friendly and helpful staff,good breakfast for 11,5 per person or 5,50 ( not exactly shore anymore of this price) for express breakfast,8 euro per day for hotel parking, but you find parking spaces near the hotel, good quality for the price of one night, it is on a hill quite far from the city centre by foot but if you have a car you can find a cheap parking in the centre, so the location was no problem for us, I did not like the design of the bath room which is made like a cabin (no tiles), and you have to make some noise to close the door, and therefore you sometimes hear the others guests or room maids in the morning. We would stay at this hotel again.

We have been using this hotel for the past 7 years before catching the ferry back from Corsica. The big attraction for me is it is a fairly short walk (down hill going, up hill on return) into the centre and has a secure underground car park that is not that easy to find in the centre of Bastia. There is also a very large supermarket a very short walk away. The rooms are clean and functional and had good air conditioning when we last stayed there last September. We are back again as per usual this September so I hope the recent AC problems reviewers are reporting has been sorted!

We stayed for four nights in July. The location suited us, about a mile from town with parking on the roads around the hotel or in the small garage on site. It is not really good for walking into town especially in the summer heat as it is too far and uphill pretty much all the way back. Hotel was clean and check fast with English speaking staff. The room was fine but the air conditioning was dreadful. We stayed in two different rooms during our stay and one was as bad as the other. Wi-Fi worked well. Ok for a short break in cooler weather!

On arrival at the railway station we took lunch before attempting the long and steep climb up to the hotel. Once we'd booked in, we walked down to the old port and the Citadel and stayed out the rest of the day, taking a taxi back to the hotel. The following morning we knew that it was a long way down to the ferry terminal, so we ordered a taxi (€12). The hotel itself was modern and had every comfort we expected from a Best Western hotel. Efficient lift between Reception and our room. The Wi-Fi worked excellently – a very good breakfast. Receptionists very helpful. Even a kettle in our room!

Stayed at this hotel 2 days ago when temperatures were very warm. Don't think reviewers have had same issue but obviously our air con was broken. Was staying in third floor executive room and have never had such a hot room !!! Glad I was only there for one night - just unbearable. Apart from that the hotel is fine - clean, good location and lovely staff.
