We arrived late to Barcelona. The free hotel shuttle picked us up as expected and on time. Check in was pleasant, even with tired kids, and the room was great - clean, spacious enough and we had a cool room configuration - a king bed and 2 twin bunk beds - perfect for our family. The staff was friendly, including the bartender downstairs. Great service - they went above and beyond to return my AirPods that I left behind in the room - housekeeping found my headphones and the hotel mailed them back to the U.S. for me! No fuss, no upcharge, nothing. I provided my credit card and shipping was $11 USD. Great experience, nice amenities, clean and super service!

We just had a brief one night stay before a flight the next morning, but it was a great place. Mahfud, who checked us in, was super nice and gave us a free upgrade and a couple of vouchers for a drink at the bar, which was open late. The free shuttle to the airport worked out great. The only strange thing about the room is that there was no door between the bathroom and the rest of the room, so anybody using the toilet was exposed. I'm not sure if every room is like that or just ours, but something to think about if you are staying with somebody that you may not have that kind of relationship with.

Lovely boutique hotel. Great service, especially Mahfud on the front desk. He was a realhelp at checkout, I have a bad knee. I had an appetizer platter for dinner the prior night, with Iberian ham on toasted crusty rolls with tomato …!very nice. Plus a delicious vodkas sour.

Clean but in an industrial area about 7 kilometre from airport. Parking is extra. Nothing of any interest nearby. Bathroom was clean and modern, beds comfortable and hotel quiet. More for the businessman. Just used it to stay prior to flight out and that we had to return our car to the airport. If we didn't have an early flight and car return we would have stayed in the city centre.

Comfortable room, friendly, multilingual, professional staff (shout out to Manuel at the front desk for being extra kind and helpful. He let me practice my Spanish and made sure we told the shuttle driver the correct terminal). Great breakfast and shuttle that both start early (5:30, I believe)! We took the 6:30 am shuttle and were standing in line to check in at the airport at 6:45!

We stayed only for one night and due to the free transfer to the airport. Even if it was for a short time the stay was great. Manuel received us in the best way possible. Rooms are clean and big. Staff is kind and professional . The transfers from and to the airport were perfect and on time. I will definitely repeat my stay if I need to stay close to the airport again. Gracias Manuel! Nerea

We have stayed at this Best Western before when travelling. I have also recommended it to friends and family. I find that have breakfast and the free shuttle very convenient when catching an early morning flight.

We stayed for 1 night to catch an early morning flight. The hotel as such was tiny but clean. We realized post dinner that air circulation or even the fan was not working and house keeping had kept the window open for this reason. It was very noisy outside and couldn't sleep all night. When we reported, the older gentleman at the front desk was very defensive and didn't look like they were interested in addressing the issue for future customers. Certainly not going to this one ever again. You pay another 10 EUR more for taxi, you will get a better hotel in the city.

Spent a quiet afternoon and night catching up on some zzzzz's before our cruise. Close to the airport and seaport and very reasonably priced hotel. Can't say about other places in the area, how close to other sites, but nice hotel.

Much better than you average airport hotel, clean rooms, comfortable beds, minibar & tea kettle in the room, an actually pleasant common space with outdoor terrace/bar and a tiny saltwater pool open from 7 AM to 11 PM. Elevators. Onsite restaurant. Shuttle drivers friendly and punctual but scheduling is not easy, especially on the pickup from the airport (on the way back you schedule with reception) and not available at all times of the day, notably not during midday so make sure it works for your flight schedule. About 10 mins to Terminal 1 when there is no traffic. They have family rooms too. Helpful and friendly staff. I'd stay again if I could make sure about the shuttle pickup in advance. esp with late-night arrivals.

I checked in your hotel again after 11 day. Mafu, Silvia and Alba were at the front desk. They are very kind, helpful and professional. They made me feel at home and happy. You have these great front desk staff and these are your good assets!

This is an easy gentle hotel to stay at. Front desk staff are pleasant and manage to work in English which was great because we had no Spanish. Outdoor bar area is nice. Never ate in the dining room but had excellent hamburgers and grilled cheese in both bar areas. Front desk staff informed us about the bus service into the city centre including the cost and that a credit card was needed for payment. All good things to know as the hotel is a ways out from the city centre. There is an interesting shopping/neighbourhood area just across the bridge. You can check in at 12 noon which is a real bonus if you are staying there after disembarking a cruise ship before flying. They have an airport shuttle which is pretty busy so book it early. We ran into a numerous guests all of whom where staying at the hotel on either end or both ends of their cruise. Even a couple from our cruise. Over all a nice stay.

I really couldn't believe the hospitality of this place not only was our room very clean and accommodating but the guy at the front desk Manuel was the one that made our experience. Left stranded at the airport at 4am because of an extreme lay over our Airbnb canceled us, tired and frustrated we somehow came across this hotel and Manuel assured us that everything was going to be okay. In those moments it's comforting to know you're in good hands. We were well taken care of. The room was amazing and so was the service 5 stars!!!!

Hotel Alfa, an unexpected oasis of calm and rest. After a long day of international travel we missed our connecting flight in Barcelona. Found Hotel Alfa online at reasonable price near airport. I called with questions and from phone call to lovely dinner to early departure all staff were helpful, kind and friendly. Our room was immaculately clean, as was the entire hotel. The decor was soothing almost spa like. The two gentlemen at the front desk were particularly helpful. The one that checked us in was welcoming and friendly and advised us on ways to return to return to the airport in the very early morning. Unfortunately I don't recall his name. The next morning at 4 am we were downstairs and Manuel at the front desk checked us out and offered us freshly made coffees, an Americano and a Cappuccino. He escorted us to our taxi and helped us with our luggage. We had expected a terrible night but Hotel Alfa and staff provided much needed rest, great food and drinks allowing us to arrive at our final destination looking forward to a long planned vacation. Thank you Staff of Hotel Alfa.

Really great place near the airport. We stayed here 4 nights after our cruise because the day after we were flying to Granada to tour the Alhambra and 2 days later flying home. But we had no problem getting around Barcelona. The Mercabarna metro station is close to the hotel, and the metro system is easy to use. The hotel's facilities are very modern, with good hot water and pressure in the bathroom and good room lighting. Noise wasn't a problem. Room was small with limited storage for clothing. There is a restaurant and a cafe (be aware there are no real choices in the surrounding area). The airport shuttle works well going to the airport, but you need a ride to get to the hotel (our cab driver returning from our Granada flight got lost and couldn't find the place - you might need to clarify the hotel is on the same street as the Mercabarna metro station. I would like to stay here again when catching an outbound flight after a short stay in Barcelona, especially if catching an early morning flight.

From check-in to check-out, the staff was super helpful, especially Manuel! He made sure we got a cab for a very early flight (when the shuttle wasn't running). They also helped me practice my Spanish!

This is a nice hotel but overpriced. There is an airport shuttle but what they dont tell you is only runs for selected hours. It's a 22 Euro taxi ride that was a surprise on top of a costly room rate and a fee breakfast. I think one would be better served at another hotel.

Pros: Hotel room was clean, hotel staff friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Front desk staff speaks multiple languages. Rooms are spacious. I prefer a wash cloth which wasn't provided but I had packed my own. There is access to bus line right in front of the hotel and for a couple of Euros took me to downtown Barcelona. There is a workout room but it is not spacious so you can't use the equipment properly. There is a restaurant and we dined for supper. Food was slightly better than average. Cons: Not a true king bed but rather two regular beds with a joining device running down the middle. It was not comfortable. Airport Shuttle hours are particular. Location isn't the greatest. Our room was at the front of the hotel and there was some sort of concert that lasted till 4 a.m. on a Saturday morning located across the open field in front of the hotel. Because this is an annual weekend occurrence, I suggest avoiding rooms on that side of the hotel on the weekend. Music is loud and this will affect your sleep. Avoid putting your login information in the smart tv in your room. The previous residents Netflix account was freely used as it had not been cleared.

Our check in at the Alfa was not pleasant. They told us at check in that it was going to be an extra $40.00 a nite because there were 3 of us in the room. Okay so we asked how much would it be just to get another room. They said 600.00. Really, but okay we get through all of that and complete our reservation. Then the lady said breakfast was included. All three of us herd her say that and yes we also speak Spanish so this is not a language barrier but the next morning a new person told us that was a mistake, breakfast is NOT included. We were in town for the Beyonce concert, and the room we stayed in was small even for two people. smaller than average. Also two in our party needed to work during the day so internet service was pretty critical. the very first night there was NO internet and there were no answers as to what the problem was, but there was no service the next day either. At that point they said it was down and they didn't have an ETA as to when it would come back up. There is nothing but trucker type restaurants near this hotel, so there was no place else to go to get internet and we bot missed very important deadlines and meetings. We were not happy! The hotel restaurant is good and thank God because the hotel is not lose to any nice restaurants. there is a toll booth for vehicles next door and you can walk to the other side, but it's all truck stop type restaurants with fried or greasy food options. Nothing we would eat quite frankly. It's far from everything so you have to either drive, uber or take the train to the heart of the city. I would NEVER stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel if you are visiting Barcelona. You want to be closer to everything, and this is not it. We so regret it because were were in a fabulous airbnb but moved to this hotel because we "thought" it would be closer to the stadium. It was a whole pain in the butt.

I'd definitely stay here again. This hotel was a pleasant surprise, exceeding some expectation I had. Close to airport, good for return home after cruise, and they provided Free airport shuttle (good value). All staff was great, shout out to Manuel for his hospitality. Nice room, clean and modern. You can trust the hotel description ads and photos here; again it exceeded my expectations. Value for money place, the kind I like. John

The room was very nice. But by far the best thing was our meals! I had the Hake for supper and OH MY I would travel all the way back just to have it again! I had many meals in the 10 days we were in the Mediterranean and this was by far the BEST meal I had. I hope to visit Barcelona again and without a doubt I will stay here for the food! We were coming from Pamplona via train. It was so easy to hop on the Metro to get to the hotel. It is an easy walk to the hotel. Check in was great-including a complimentary cava for each of us. We wanted to explore a little more before we left Spain and the front desk showed us where to go via the Metro. It was exactly how we wanted to do. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and amenities were fine. The shuttle for us was excellent. Pick up at 7 for a 9:40 flight- we were there in plenty of time. Manuel was very kind and helpful in the morning. Proximity to the airport was how we found it and we were glad we did.

Near the airport, clean, accommodating , very nice staff at checkin and throughout our stay. Nice river and park nearby. Manuel on the night shift st front desk in particular helped us leave at 3am, was very prepared and attentive with our taxi and luggage, and gave our daughters an activity!

This is a great hotel, however, Shuttle service does not run until 5am or 5:30am in the morning, so if you have an earlier flight a taxi is about $30. Also, food services on the site are not available between 4pm-8pm. So hopefully this will help you plan your trip accordingly.

You should know that the shuttle schedule is erratic. I waited almost 50 minutes at 10:00 am. When the shuttle finally arrived, it was completely empty. On our way back to the hotel, we picked up no other passengers. The trip to the hotel took about 12 minutes. I have no clue what the driver was doing that would have caused a 50-minute wait. The room was nice, but the walls are thin and my room looked out onto a busy raod. Ear plugs are a must!

We chose the hotel due to the proximity to the airport and free shuttle ( please note that the first run of the shuttle to the airport is at 5 AM, and the last one, I think, is at midnight: we use the first one ) . The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the staff was friendly. The only thing that bothered us, was the loud people on hallways, late at night, but who can control the behavior of the guests...

Beautiful hotel with shuttle service to and from the airport, state of the art gym with rope climb! Beautiful pool and sauna to cool off after a good workout. Excellent buffet spread every morning for breakfast, for lunch and dinner I ate in the city center to experience the cities cuisine. Hotel staff went above and beyond every day to assist me with plans to visit cultural centers around the city as well assisting me with a last minute flight booking to Granada for day trip so I can see the Alhambra! One of the best hotel experiences I have had and as a diamond member I have stayed at locations all over the world. Thank you!

Great hotel to stay at! Close to the airport, has a shuttle morning and evenings going to and from the airport. Could not hear any noice from the airport. Nice bar area with good snacks and a area were it is possible to work. Did not try the restaurant, food ordered of the bar menu was great! Friendly staff especially the nightshift Manuel was very friendly and attentive.

If you have a early flight, or like me a long layover for a day and then an early flight, this is the place to go. They have shuttle busses from and to the airport. Manuel ist the night manager, very very helpfull and greeted us with a coffee when we had to take the shuttle at 05.30 for our early flight. He and the staff are always helpfull, the bar is great, good food and over all a great stay. We very much enjoyed it.

Staff were nice. Room ok. ... but we booked this (airport) hotel initially to take advantage of the shuttle, the pool and the sauna. since we knew we were leaving early at 3am we didn't expect a shuttle to be available (though some hotels do have 24 hr service) and that cost 29 euro (though may be around 14 euro via BOLT app)..... but the shuttle FROM the airport to the hotel only starts AFTER 6pm and we only got this information AFTER paying.... so we had to hang around the airport till that time an got to the hotel around 7pm instead of earlier in the afternoon (though there is a Metro option 5 euro). The pool is a joke (3m x 6m approx) - it might be fun for kids.... the sauna was not even on (and they take time to heat up - so that was a no-go..... all in all it was not what we were "sold" by the info we saw on several sites. As such there were better alternatives where we could have spent our time...as such we feel the hotel could do more to be upfront with these details that can swing a visit from bad/good to great....

This is a typical airport hotel. It has everything equipped but the room size is small. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. The room is kind of noisy. You can hear other people talking in the bathroom. Front desk is very friendly and helpful. The airport shuttle service is good. The price is too high around Christmas. It is located far from the city. The only reason we spend one-night stay in this hotel is to get to the airport easily in the morning. Otherwise, there are many much nicer hotels in the city.

We had a huge fiasco in this hotel. We waited for their shuttle for 50 minutes. While waiting called them many times and they replied with lies such as it already left the hotel, it is on the way, very close etc. After 50 mins they told us ‘drive came and could't find you'. We went to hotel by taxi. They blamed us waiting in the wrong place but we proved the oppsite with the pictures. Briefly never rely on the shuttle of this hotel and they have disrespectful staff.

it was really so quiet after a 16 hrs flight. the staff at the desk and ate the restaurant was super nice they serve the best coffee. it was easy to find and there is free parking. all around great first stop in Europe

The hotel was cozy and the restaurant was good. They had just two persons for a line of customers waiting to check in. It took a long time to get to our rooms. I asked for help but was told they didn't have any more people to be able to help us.

Stayed here 1 night post cruise. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent room. Ate in both restaurant and bar. Food of high standard and fairly priced. Nothing in the immediate vicinity to explore (unless you are into fitness/cycling etc. when the possibilities are greater). One minor problem concerning late check-out (which was probably down to miscommunication between reception and cleaning staff) but this was quickly and appropriately resolved when pointed out. Would stay here again if in transit to/from Barcelona airport.

We stayed here at either end of our recent trip to Spain. Each time Danny at the front desk checked us in. He was friendly, efficient and patient, helped us practice our Spanish even though he had been busy up to the time we checked in. The rooms were minimalist but adequate and comfortable. We stayed on the first floor facing the main road on our way into Spain and on the third floor facing the Mercadona the second time. Each time the rooms were quiet in spite of traffic outside. We made our way to the hotel using the train from the airport as the shuttle does not start until 6pm in the evening). It was easy, efficient and cheap. On our way to the airport the next day, we took the complimentary hotel shuttle in the morning. Food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, better than what we had expected for an airport hotel (based on N American airport hotels), service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was also way better than the usual fare in N America. All in all, a great stay and good choice for an airport hotel in Barcelona

This is an extremely good hotel, with spotless rooms. Breakfast is of good quality. Convenient for the Airport. We were under the impression that the free shuttle bus to the airport was available during the day, but the service now has restricted times when it is not operating. Please check when bookings are made.

I mean, yes - you get shuttle to the airport. But could you pay for taxi and stay somewhere else? Staff was friendly here, room are made to look fantastic in pictures but are very basic with rock hard beds. Sower was good! Breakfast was Okey, nothing special but worked. If I wouldn't have really early flight, would stay downtown as there is nothing around this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel on Oct 23rd and had a terrible experience by the restaurant staff and cleaning crew. Restaurant staff took extremely long to seat me at a table when there were multiple tables open. I assume they were busy so I get it, no harm no foul. However, one of the restaurant waiters grabbed my food before I finished eating and began taking it as if I was done. Imagine eating your meal then having that be taken from you from the staff... They gently put the food back down after already touching the plate and apologized. At that point I lost my appetite and couldn't bear eating off of that plate again. In the morning of Oct 24th, the cleaning crew came straight into my room without knocking while I was in the shower. I had to yell out "Hola!" for them to recognize I was still in the room. This took place at 10am (an hour before checkout) and I was really caught off guard. Imagine if it this was you in the shower and a cleaning person (male or female) came into the room without knocking? This is a total violation of security. This was a terrible experience.

Nice and clean hotel. Great location for anyone flying out with a shuttle to airport. Last shuttle to airport though was at 10:30 a.m. Had a chance to visit El Prat just a walk over the bridge. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Food was terrible and overpriced, Signe up for shuttle only to be told that the bust was full at 4:45 am. They did probide a taxi service, Room temp could not go lower than 21 C and asked for a fan but one was never brought. Mold in te shower. Tiles were really slipery with insufficient bath mat. No english channels n TV

My son is a pilot and we decided to go standby to Rome from Newark NJ .Plane was full so could not get on .We were at the airport with our passports in hand and did not want to go home ..United to Barcelona had 3 seats available.When we landed needed someplace to stay and i am a best western rewards member and this hotel could not have been better .A free shuttle from the airport 15 minute ride away.The staff Manuel ,2 Silvias and Mafhud as well as the restuarant staff were so nice and helpful getting us around town .20-25 $ Cab ride to La Rambla ,and most everywhere we wanted to go ..You can also use Cabify app ..THANK YOU .Cant wait to return ..Thanks from NYC

Due to a strong chemical odor in the hotel rooms my family and I decided not to stay at the hotel. The concierge offered other rooms but they also smelled just as toxic. We believe the odor was related to cleaning products used in the hotel. We spoke with Ms. Ester, the manager and requested a refund, but she refused. She did not inspect the rooms herself and claimed the toxic smell was our opinion. This is blatantly poor customer service and lack of customer empathy. They should review the amount and type of cleaning product used at the facility as well as allow ample time for fumes to dissipate before guests occupy the room. They may also want to test air quality.

We were coming back from our Spain and France vacation and needed a place to stay for an early flight. This hotel is very nice and a good price. Manuel was very helpful and got us to our room quickly. He was a delight and got us on the shuttle list. Their is a free shuttle to the airport which is close by. The hotel was recently refurbished and it has everything you need for a nice stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Be patient with the shuttle service as the timetable in the website does not hold water. Even though the timetable says that terminal 1 is the first stop, it might not be, terminal 2 may be first stop, so be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes more than it is said on the timetable. Otherwise hotel is pretty good, rooms were decent. Pool is really small but still usable.

This hotel is in an industrial area but is close to the airport as well as the marina. The marina area also is the start of the boardwalk along the waterfront. We would take a taxi from the hotel to this area. We also ate many meals at the hotel restaurant over the 3 days we were there. The front desk staff is absolutely incredible and will take care of all your needs.

We had issues finding Uber and Taxi around 10pm when we missed the bus stop to get off at front of the hotel. We were 1.3 miles away and my 90 years old mom couldn't walk that far so I called the front desk and they only provided me the taxi numbers. First number was an automated system and all in Spanish. Second number was incorrect number. Third number no one answered and staff only said that's all they can do. Very disappointed. The hotel free wifi never worked. It was disconnected often time than connected. Restaurant staff were not friendly either, it was all business but breakfast buffet and dinner were not bad at all. Room was very clean and well prepared. The hotel is located in the industrial area across from Nissan building. No shops, restaurant or anything around.

I checked into this hotel, which I selected for one night because it was near the airport and they offered a free shuttle to the airport. However, this was the first hotel that did not allow me to check in early during my entire Spain trip. When I called and asked for a dental kit, they told me "Come get it yourself downstairs." The real problem with this location is that I was bit in my sleep by multiple bugs. I found dead ants in my bed the next morning. I took a picture of one but had to leave for the airport pretty early and didn't have time to go photographing every problem in the room that morning. I took a photo of my bite as well. I showed this to the front desk and they offered me a free breakfast at their breakfast buffet. I had about 15 minutes before I needed to head to the airport so I accepted. As I'm sitting to eat for breakfast a HUGE ROACH walks across the floor of the breakfast room. The hotel has been extremely rude to me and refuses to comp me for the one night I had there. This hotel is unclean and unfriendly. I do not recommend. In fact I won't ever stay at a Best Western again. What I would like is a refund of the amount I spent to stay at this hotel.

Please don't stay here at the Best Western Alpha Hotel in Barcelona, Spain. The front desk personnel didn't help me seek medical attention upon requesting help. The A/C and lights do not turn on without inserting the card key. Well, the front desk never informed me of their procedures. The manager Esther, told me I lied because upon requesting medical attention her shuttle bus never made stops at the hospital. “A big bold face lie” the shuttle bus was at the hospital when the taxi dropped me off. Long story, save your money and go elsewhere......

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Alfa and Manuel was so kind and helpful after a long day of train travel. The room was clean, comfortable, and had lots of space. The breakfast buffet was great and the airport shuttle made everything so much easier. Highly recommend this hotel!

Our flight was cancelled at 2am and with a young baby we needed a place to stay. After finding it difficult to book other hotels late notice and online we phoned hotel Alpha Aeropuerto, a best western. We were welcomed and attended to with excellent customer service from Manuel at this hotel. The hotel is clean, friendly, welcoming and has a free and punctual shuttle bus to the airport which worked well for us even though we needed a very fast turn around. The rooms are very practical and ready for welcoming tired travellers with well thought out features like the walk in showers, kettles, suitcase stands etc. And…. the breakfast was delicious. Thank you Manuel and the lady at breakfast.

We enjoyed 1 night stay with family before heading to the airport and flying to home. Btw, airport worked smoothly. The hotel restaurant daily many was perfect and pizza was crusty. 10min walk to metro which was great. Pool is a bit tiny to fit over 5 persons but still great phone.

After reading the reviews of the other hotels near the airport I chose this one. I took a taxi there from Barcelona city, was about 20€. The hotel was as I expected, nice interiors, clean and comfortable. My single room was very comfortable, and quiet. The only thing I missed were some shelves in the room where to put things (if you want to reorganize the bags etc) and also the shower missed small shelf for the shampoos and conditioner. These small things would make the room more practical. The area itself has nothing to mention, but the metro is some 5 mins walking so it's not really a problem to move around if you like. The breakfast was average. On the day of my arrival I was happy to have lunch as late as between 15-16. I took their shuttle in the morning to the airport and it worked well.

Stayed at the hotel, firstly was told only allowed one round of bread at breakfast, breakfast very basic not worth it. My son then left his Apple airpod at hotel after contacting them was told it wasn't found in room, after tracking them contacted hotel again to say that location was at the hotel told them exactly where in the room it would be to be ignored and not replied too. Very bad customer service would not be returning

We stayed here for our last night in Barcelona before heading to the airport early the next day. Great service, helpful and friendly staff, very clean. They secured a cab for our extremely early flight we had to catch. The only drawback was the limited hours for the restaurant.

The hotel is close to the airport; perfect for a quick business visit in the area. They offer shuttle service from/to the airport. Rooms are clean, modern and offer all the necessary facilities. There is nothing around the hotel, but it is perfect if you need to be close to the airport. Many Companies are in the "zona franca", so ideal for business purposes. Did not give better vote because the restaurant was disappointing.

Arriving in Barcelona late in the evening, this is an excellent choice offering a shuttle service from the airport. There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel for convenient transportation to the centre of Barcelona. Nice, clean and quiet rooms. Great and friendly staff in the reception.

The hotel has a new booking system which is slowing things down considerably. To be fair, of the two people in the queue in front of us, one was checking in to 11 rooms and the other needed 5 rooms but there were only two people on Reception to deal with this. There was no communication about why we were waiting so long. We only discovered it when the people behind us in the check complained about the situation and got this explanation. A no time were we offered a drink or somewhere to sit without losing our place in the queue. I hope the rest of our stay gets better but until they get the check in system sorted out I will not return

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the shower amazing! The room was smaller than expected, but still accommodating. Hotel was on a bus route, so were able to take the bus into downtown, only 2.40 euro. Hotel is only 15 minutes from airport. Very popular with cruisers. I met other people that did a pre-stay there before their cruise.

Used the hotel courtesy shuttle to and from airport which worked to schedule and was 10-15 mins drive to terminal 1. Very nice check in experience. Having only booked a single room and expecting a such i was surprised to have a large king bed room. Very comfortable with bath and rainforest shower head. Plenty of toiletries provided, room smelled fresh & clean. Black out curtains aided good sleep and kettle, tea & coffee provided. I look forward to staying again in October.

A fantastic airport hotel. It had a modern boutique feel and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Our room was included with our flight purchase so we chose to end our Airbnb a day early. So glad we did. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Shuttle service to the airport started at 5am and they were right on time.

From check-in to check-out the staff at this hotel were wonderful. This was a short one night stay as we headed out to the airport early the next morning. Our rooms were very clean! The lobby and bar was clean and welcoming. I recommend this hotel

Stayed one night in order to catch an early flight. The room is spacious and neat but faced the logistic warehouse. Staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel provided a schedule shuttle bus service between the airport and the hotel when it was booked. Unfortunately, on the day of the arrival at the airport after returning the rental car, the shuttle bus was no where to be found after waited for half an hour. We only realised that the schedule was changed to very limited timeslots after we called the hotel. We then waited for another two hours before the shuttle bus arrived. Good for a day to catch an early flight.

English speaking and professional front desk staff. Hotel was quiet. There were numerous police stop by for their afternoon coffee so that should say something about the service. There is a bar / Restaurant on the property that was clean. FREE shuttle ride to the airport that left on time with a courteous driver. Would recommend this property to anyone needing to fly out the next day. This hotel is not in a tourist location where you can walk close by to see the sites. There are a couple of bars and restaurants around the corner in the warehouse area.

The hotel was nice. Room clean and comfortable. If you go to the airport before the shuttle runs know you will pay 30 euros even though it is only a 10 minutes drive. They did not tell me it would cost more to get to the airport which is very close than to get 20 miles across town to stay closer which u thought would be less expensive. The bar staff was rude by American standards.

We stayed for one night, just prior to flying out of Barcelona. Hotel is clean and nice -- better than I had thought it would be. Nice people. Not a high end hotel, but very doable and comfortable. The bathroom was small, but the space was utilized extremely well. One thing to note if you are taking an early morning flight as we were -- staying here doesn't lesson the time it takes to get to the airport. Although if you leave at 5:00 am or after, they do have a shuttle which saves $$. Only drawback: not real soundproof....

We stayed in the hotel after a our flight back home got cancelled by the airline. As we couldn't fly back the next day we extended our stay another night and worked remotely in the hotel room and the lounge/bar. What could have been a really stressful situation turned out to be an extra holiday due to the friendly hotel staff who even gave us a room upgrade and the relaxed atmosphere in the lounge where it was possible to work and even have video calls while drinking a cafe cortado. After the flight got cancelled we had dinner in the hotel restaurant which is open quite late, breakfast buffet (until 11) and even lunch from the bar which is open all day - prices are absolutely reasonable and the food and coffee was good. The hotel is not in Barcelona center, but in a good location close to a metro station to either the airport or the city. There is a little outdoor area, a sauna, fitness center and even a pool. They also have an airport shuttle service which we used to get to the hotel from the airport. It's not running all day, but the staff was super helpful in explaining an alternative (short walk and direct metro connection)

Been there cause we have an early flight the next morning, was not a bad choice for an early flight. Pro -They also have the shuttle service to the airport for free of charge but need to book in advance with the staffs and please come on time. -Good small clean room Con -There's quite nothing around the hotel so, it's really an airport hotel -There's a room service but there's not really a menu in the room so we need to go to the elevator to take a picture and came back to order then when we order they said the menu is old menu but somehow we ordered it through so, food was good though.

For my job, I travel all around the round world every day, so I use to sleep in different hotels everywhere. I've stayed in this hotel on the night of the 8th/9th and I was really impressed by the warm welcome, you have an amazing staff! A special thanks to Mahfud, who made me discover the establishment overall, from the restaurant to the gym room without forgetting the swimming pool and the free drink ;) The room is nice and has a comfortable bed and all the necessary needed like some bottles of water and everything in the bathroom. By the way, I really appreciate the soap dispenser in the bathroom, I prefer them to the classic soap we find everywhere. The free shuttle between the airport/hotel and hotel/airport is really appreciated but if you could extend a bit the last shuttle from the hotel to the airport at 12h30 instead of 10h30 for the people who make their check out at 12h30 to could take the last one, it will be perfect :) If I have to advise just a "little" thing, you could maybe add a box of tissues in the room which could be very useful. Otherwise, a very good client experience. I will definitely make this place my favorite place to stay in Barcelona close to the airport. Thanks again and see you soon :)

The shuttle bus service to and from the airport was a life saver, and the driver was very helpful in making sure I was on the right bus as at 11pm at night after a hectic evening I wasn't sure of anything any more. Last minute stay for work, even though I turned up really late in the evening the gentleman at the desk was very helpful in helping me arrange travel for the morning. Even was able to get me a plug adaptor, as I forgot to pick one up in the short notice of my stay! Room was lovely and made up well, clean and all the amenities you could need, even a plug socket near the bed! Sad I couldn't spend much time, but at least I know somewhere if I visited on a more leisurely trip.

Every single aspect of my stay at BW Alfa exceeded my expectations: At check in, Dani was as helpful and kind as you could imagine. The room was impeccably clean, functional and beautiful. Honestly, it looked brand new – it had all the essentials, was tastefully decorated, and felt spacious. The shower was downright luxurious. Check out was a breeze, shuttle was right on time. Could not have been happier; BW Alfa Barca is definitely a real value. I'll only stay here when I'm in Barcelona...

We really enjoyed our short 1 night stay here, check in was fantastic allowed us to arrive early, free shuttle bus was fantastic, rooms were quite small but very nice and modern. Food was just ok. Gym facilities and swimming pool were fantastic, the sauna was not on which was a tad disappointing but overall would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We didn't get to use the amenities in the hotel, such as the gym as we arrived around 10 pm and had to leave again at 8 am. The breakfast buffet was excellent, wonderful choice and very fresh. I would go so far as to say the best we've seen. Great customer service from everyone we encountered. We would definitely stay again. Free shuttle to the airport was also a plus. It didn't appear to be in walking distance to anything, but public transport is close.

Hotel was very comfortable and clean with a nice style. Location was ok, about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station. Taxi to the airport is a set €29 so if you have an early flight, either take the metro if possible or stay closer to the airport. The hotel has a bar and restaurant on site which was a huge plus considering there were no restaurants open in the El Prat area nearby.

Shuttle was well arranged, also taxi for next day well arranged by staff reception. We arrived late in the evening due to delayed flight. Restaurant was closing, we could quickly order some food and ordered two pizza en and a ham sandwich. Pizza's were very bad, hard and tasteless for 15 Euro a pizza. Ham sandwich OK but nog worth 9 euro. Bad birthday for my son. Hotel knew, nothing was done. Room simpel but OK.

Very nice airport hotel with free airport shuttle in the morning starting at 5 am until 9 am and then again later at night. Shuttle ride was about 15-20 minutes. Book the shuttle at the front desk. It is nicer than some best western hotels in the U.S. Spacious, clean, good beds, great shower. Front desk staff spoke English. No free breakfast but it is available. We didn't eat there. Location is great only for easy access to the the airport. Otherwise, it is in an industrial area with warehouses. The metro station is close by though.

A couple of issues: Even though the hotel name indicates close proximity to the airport, it is actually quite a distance away, located in what seems to be an industrial/warehouse-type area. There is a free shuttlebus from the airport, departing at intervals I was unable to find. And as far as «find» is concerned, the bus departure point at Parking G can be hard to locate, but there is an excellent video on the hotel's website showing the way in great detail. The receptionist and the night manager were really great, making check-in a very pleasant experience. The room was very nice and clean, perhaps even better than expected, and the price was very reasonable. Free wifi (speed around 10 mbps) is available. There is a restaurant and a bar on location, and again, prices are reasonable and the menu is perfectly fine. In summary, this is an excellent choice if you arrive late in the evening and need a comfortable place to sleep prior to going on a cruise.

We booked this hotel mainly because it had a shuttle service to and from the airport. On arrival, we were told there was no shuttle at time I called hotel. We were advised to take metro or 25euro taxi. The next day it was a 5min. walk to Metro underground to get into the city. Instructions from front desk staff was correct. When we tried to book shuttle, again, to return to airport, we were told again..no shuttle available. At this time we discussed our frustrations with the shuttle availability with the front desk staff. We were immediately offered dinner hotel vouchers, for our taxi ride to hotel, then told they would book a taxi return to airport and pay the bill. Our “free” dinner for two was excellent. Our “free” taxi was waiting for us when we departed the hotel the next day. All in all, we liked that we weren't right in the middle of the main city, as in our previous trip to Barcelona. Accommodation and Price were better. Nice breakfast included with room. Easy walk around corner of hotel to take out restaurant with inexpensive decent food.

The hotel shuttle from the airport runs a certain times. Was waiting at the airport for two hours come to find out when I landed they stop doing the shuttle. Even when checking out I felt force to check out early because of the shuttle times so I had to wait at the airport almost 3 hours to catch my flight. The website needs to communicate more on the shuttle. Other than that great hotel, location is decent if your just staying the night in Barcelona, the bus is right in front of the hotel to get to downtown.

For transiting overnight, this hotel is the perfect choice for early morning flights; next time we will stay longer. Easy access to Barcelona city center by city transit; room service was excellent and the food was delicious.

I booked this reservation in June through Priceline. In July I had to reschedule/cancel my trip because Americans are not being let into Spain. I contacted Priceline and they couldn't do anything because the hotel is closed. It took until today 9/14 to hear back and they refuse to allow the refund even due to the pandemic currently happening. Their hotel is still closed. I am not sure how they expect me to go to a country I am not allowed in. I can not even get a credit of any sort. This is the worst customer service I have ever had.

Flights to/from Barcelona were cancelled so I went online to cancel my fully refundable booking with this hotel only to find I was denied the option of any refund. I tried calling the hotel but nobody answered, so I rang the BW reservations team who advised I had passed the 6 month deadline for cancellation, which was 6pm on 6 Oct 2019. I queried this as my documentation said cancellation had to be made by 6 Oct 2020! The gentlemen double checked and said that it was my misunderstanding and 2019 was definitely correct. How could this ever be the case given booking wasn't made until Jan 2020! He didn't know and passed me on to the BW Customer Services team who checked their records and advised instead that the booking had been made on non-refundable basis! I logged on to my BW account and read them word for word what their own system said, and this clearly stated booking was refundable provided cancelled “before 06.00pm hotel time on 06-Oct-2020”. As I had requested cancellation on 29 July this surely qualified for a refund?! The representative tried to call the hotel to discuss but was advised the hotel is currently closed due to Coronavirus concerns. I was told they would need to investigate and get back to me. In meantime I agreed to email them a screen print of their own system (Which apparently they couldn't see!) and my booking docs, which I did same day. Two weeks passed and nothing further heard so I rang again. After running through the same issues and arguments, I was advised BW were unable to provide a refund or deal further until the hotel, which is still closed, reopens. Even though they couldn't tell me when this might be! This is despite BW now agreeing (after receiving my documents) that I did actually book on a refundable basis. I refused to accept this and was promised matter would be escalated that day to a senior manager for resolution as representative had no autonomy to deal himself. In meantime I was asked to provide a copy of my CC statement to prove payment had been made as apparently BW don't have record!. I did this immediately and subsequently received an email confirming the matter had been escalated and promising a response the next working day. Guess what? 5 working days later and still no further communication. Accordingly I rang customer services again, only to be told there is nobody available who can deal, that is despite first being told the case handler was in the office and I was being transferred! I was once again promised a management call back and an email confirming this, both to be received later that day. Surprise, surprise, 24hrs on and nothing heard. Don't get me wrong all the BW staff have been friendly and polite and conversations civilised, however, right now it doesn't feel like I will ever get the refund I am due. Has a genuine mistake occurred (that for some reason nobody wants to deal with) or are BW continually getting me to send info they should already have and then failing to respond, purely a delaying tactic until they can come up with another excuse not to pay. Or indeed, given I have seen at least one similar review posted on this hotel site, is Best Western's refundable booking policy at this hotel a scam? From my experience to date, all I can say for sure is beware!

My wife and I had to cancel our flights and stay in Barcelona due to COVID-19. I attempted to cancel our reservation 2 months out and was unable to do so on BestWestern App. Customer service was very nice and said that when I booked the stay in Oct 2019 I had already past the 6 month cancellation period. I checked online and Traveladvisor shows the hotel to be closed due to COVID concerns. Poor customer service.

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to our departure from Spain. Restaurant on site but we did not eat there. Room service was relatively inexpensive and good. There is a nice pool, water was of a good temperature. Free shuttle to the airport, schedule at front desk the night before. My biggest complaint was that the room was way too hot for sleeping. I found this true of most of the hotels we stayed at in Spain, we stayed at 4 of them and just one had the ability to make the room cooler. It was 24 degrees C and we usually sleep at about 20.

Their listing said they provide an airport shuttle .. but in foreign countries this usually does not materialize. I followed the signs that indicated hotel bus, waited about 20 minutes and low and behold the BW shuttle appeared. Hotel was clean, front desk helpful and waiter in the restaurant attentive. Great for my overnight connection.

Far too hot: 24 degrees at night. All reception could do was turn off the heating, which of course made no difference as it was the air conditioning that was needed. In addition despite requesting a quiet room at time of booking, they assigned us a room facing a road used frequently by heavy goods vehicles. The inadequate double glazing did not keep out this noise. Finally, the airport shuttle only departed at 08:15 and 09:00, a whole 45 minutes separation, forcing us to get up 30 minutes earlier than would normally be necessary. All in all, hardly any sleep was obtained.

We flew into Barcelona in the morning from another part of Europe, and had our flight out to Australia on the same night. We just wanted somewhere we could relax, have a siesta and a shower before our long flight. Great location near the airport, short shuttle bus transfer. Quiet room, clean, modern and a short walk to the bus stop to get into the city. Staff were friendly and the price was reasonable. It certainly met all of our needs.

My wife and I stayed at Best Western Plus Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto multiple times over the past few weeks. We love Barcelona, and enjoy visiting the many sights and attractions available to see in the great city. We also embarked on a weeklong cruise that departed from the Barcelona cruise port. The hotel's proximity to the El Prat airport, Metro station and the A21 bus make it an ideal location for people on vacation like us. Don Luis Tobias, the General Manager, and his wonderful staff are always ready to help traveling tourists like us with logistics such as storing luggage, arranging transport to the cruise terminal and providing valuable information on "how to do" things in Barcelona. The hotel is only one of four hotels which offer complimentary airport shuttle service. The shuttle driver, Fran, was particularly helpful to us. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We always enjoy the paid breakfast at Mercat Restaurant. The lunches and dinners are always very good, and reflect the magic of Catalan cuisine. We stayed in one of the suites on the second floor, and enjoyed the extra space and amenities of our room. The windows are sound-proofed to the point where one can hear the drop of a pin. I'm sure in the coming months and years, Best Western Plus Hotel Alfa will be seeing more of us!

I saw the good reviews from TripAdvisor and booked a room at this hotel close to the airport as we were supposed to land late at night. They charged 54€ per night, plus 12-14€ for breakfast (so overall the price was the same as other hotels near the airport). The Hotel, provided a shuttle bus, the last one was scheduled to leave from the airport at 00:30. We called as soon as we landed at 00:15 and called to make sure were were going on the right direction and get on the shuttle. The guy at the reception which receive the call wasn't helpful at all, the way he replied sounded like we should give up on the expectation to get the shuttle bus and find other way. We ignore his attitude and tried to reach the shuttle bus stop, and eventually got on the bus. Our plan was to wake up the next day and go get our rental car at the airport early in the morning. Unfortunately, as we were about to go to sleep (2 am) we discovered a bed bug on our pillow and another one who was crawling out of the mattress. We called the front desk right away and the guy didn't seem surprised. We were shocked! He gave us another room, which didn't seem much better from the other one. No bugs but a nasty smell of some herbal medicine kinda smell. Needless to say, that we didn't sleep much and the whole experience ruined our small vacation to Barcelona as we were in constant fear of having bed bugs eggs in our suitcases and clothes. One good note, the breakfast was ok. And a lady at the reception in the morning after said they've been running a pest control and will continue to do till the situation is totally resolved. And offered us a total refund.

Stayed here for new year's eve due to an early flight. The hotel is ok...but just okay. A bit disappointing for a best western plus though. My biggest issue was the condensation in the room!!! It was horrible!!! The water from Windows was dripping on the floor, so bad that it woke me up at night! When I've mentioned this to the receptionist...and she only cared to ask me to pay the city tax! So be aware and check the window for mould!!!!!

This is not an airport hotel despite its name. You have to walk over one kilometer through the parking structure to get to the shuttle. When a shuttle finally arrived there was more than 30 people waiting but a shuttle had room for 12. This turned into an ugly scene with my 81 year old mother and two kids being forced out by some other travelers who were saving seats for someone else. When I called hotel I was told that shuttle is run by a contractor and the hotel does not control it. After waiting for an hour we walked back with three kids and my elderly mom to the taxi stand. The cost of taxi was 30 euros as this is not close to the airport at all. When I mentioned this situation at the check in I was told that if we arrived earlier there would not be a problem with a shuttle. So I guess it was all my fault for not arriving at the right time for the shuttle. He did mention that if there is a problem with a shuttle they reimburse for taxi but when I asked for reimbursement I was told that in my case I will not be reimbursed because I arrived at the wrong time. This all seemed crazy. Don't stay there if you are looking for a convenience of staying close to the airport.

Stayed in this hotel before, got a bit better service then...hence still 4 stars from me. Took a taxi from airport night time, basic charge 20 euro. When I checked in reception staff forgot to provide me wifi password, ok not a big deal and they made other mistakes in general etc room did smell of drain however it was well-equipped and clean.

Reception late at night was welcoming and unfussy. The relaxed atmosphere in this hotel stems from staff courtesy and friendliness. The neat, centrally sited bar epitomizes that feeling, and offers sensible, high quality snacks. The hotel's own shuttle service to and from El Prat airport is a valuable part of the overall attention to guest comfort and convenience. Rooms are well appointed and spotless.The breakfast buffet is of high quality and variety.The hotel tariff is below that of a well known city centre hotel of inferior quality. One oddity, however, is that bar and dining staff said that their gratuities are pooled, and are added to the guest account at checkout. That in fact did not happen; we insisted therefore on contributing a gratuity in cash to reception, at appropriate pecentage. Taxis to the port are speedily arranged by reception, given the hotel's unobtrusive liaison with taxi services. All in all an impressive and highly pleasing experience after transatlantic flight and pre-cruising.

We stayed at this hotel prior to an early morning flight at the end of an extended trip through Spain. The hotel proved to be an exceptional value. This hotel was surprising on many levels. The decor and class of the hotel was far nicer than a typical option close to an airport. The breakfast was superb. The coffee was fabulous. The rooms were modern and comfortable and the staff was exceptionably nice and helpful. They also have a complimentary shuttle to the airport. This was seriously one of the better airport hotels that we have stayed in. To give you an idea, our prior hotel stay in Spain was a 5 star option and we still felt this hotel was suitable.

Modest property, very good value for money. Has a complimentary shuttle bus from Barcelona Prats (the primary airport). Barcelona Metro has a station at the airport, so transportation to and around the region becomes economical. Hotel was under construction when we were there, so it may be even better now. Complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival was a nice touch.

The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived mid-morning after a cruise and much before normal check in, but we were able to get in our room shortly after arrival. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Location was excellent for airport access and the free shuttle was on time, quick, and much appreciated. There are a few restaurants nearby but maybe too far without a vehicle. However, we had breakfast and a late lunch at the hotel's restaurant and it was very good. Our experience staying at the Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto was entirely positive and I would recommend it highly.

This is a perfect place for an overnight airport stay. There is a regular free shuttle bus between the hotel & both terminals. The hotel is simply decorated but has everything you want for a comfortable night's stay. There is even spare bedding in the wardrobe if needed. The staff are very friendly & helpful. We had a bar meal – beef burger & chips - & it was the best I´ve had in a long time. The breakfast was buffet style – plenty of choice & tasty. We will be staying there again for sure as it is certainly good value for money,

We stayed here post-cruise as it was convenient to the airport. Such friendly and helpful staff, very reasonably priced and so many thoughtful extras, even a suitcase scale in the lobby next to an airline schedule monitor. Upon arrival we received a voucher for a glass of bubbly at the bar, chocolates in our room, together with a little handwritten welcome note. Nothing was too much trouble. Also free shuttle to the airport, about 15 minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this location after our cruise, we wanted to be closer to the airport. The location is convenient, if you want to be close to the airport. However, it is far from all other activities. The breakfast is excellent, so many good qualities and choices. Internet and wifi was great. The shuttle to the airport was very convenient. We also appreciated the fact that we were able to check in a 9 am with no extra cost.

The hotel is very convenient for those who start or end their cruise in Barcelona: It is located on the way from airport to cruise terminal. After the flight, you can take the free shuttle, and in the morning leave for the port by taxi (13-14 Є). If you prefere to stay for a day or two in Barcelona, you catch the half-empty bus # 21(stops near the doors) and after 30 min you will get off at Drassanes, where Rambla starts.The advantages of the hotel itself are described in most reviews. Do not neglect breakfast: varied and delicious.

Although close to the airport, this hotel was difficult to locate. Public transportation by train was also problematic. The price point is good but as a tourist, I was challenged by the lack of amenities available, i.e. a converter, ability to change the room temperature, etc. I was also displeased with the limited transportation to and from the airport.

We had an early morning departure out of Barcelona and decided to stay at this Best Western Hotel. It was an excellent choice as the staff was very friendly, the rooms were well appointed, up-to-date, and very clean. They had nice little lounge & offered us a champagne cocktail there. They also had a restaurant, but our schedule did not allow us to have dinner or breakfast there. They did have great shuttle service to the airport which worked out perfectly for us. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here a couple of nights. Bar man very friendly and no fuss made when ordering off the menu as food did not suit. Airport location for quick access to main tourist sites. Metro and bus stop close by and takes you to all the hot spots. No shops near by but petrol station across road has snacks and water cheaper than hotel prices. Bedroom was clean and spacious. Have given 3 star as walls are thin and you can hear people talking. Someone decided to ignore their alarm for over 30 mins at 0300am and then when they got him and his wife decided to have a loud conversation. Some people are very inconsiderate

We stayed at the hotel between flights for 4 hours. I like the ability to book a short stay, but beware we waited 45 minutes for the shuttle at the airport and then there was traffic, so it took 20 minutes to get there. The hotel is sufficient for a short stay, but would not be happy here for a longer stay.

Stayed one night before cruise. Used taxis from airport and to port. Room 101 on first floor. Large room, comfortable bed and good condition. Snack bar open till 1am and restaurant for breakfast opened at 5am. Had breakfast that was well laid out buffet of hot and cold food. Good quality. Only problem nearby was a band with drums, trumpet etc playing and it seemed outside. Was still playing loudly back of 3am. Would use again , if no band playing

The Best Western Barcelona Alfa Aerpouerto is a decent hotel, close to airport with shuttle service. The hotel is clean and rooms appear to have a recent upgrade. There are no aminities nearby. Zero. The hotel restaurant is the only option. The food was minimal. I was disappointed considering the fairly good feel I had with the hotel in general. Almost like the restaurant was run independent of the hotel. I stayed one night and it served its purpose. I think I would shop a bit harder for a hotel next time as the train puts you directly in the airport there is no need to be close to the airport to make connections. Also a bit pricey but a decent hotel.

2019年10月に1泊しました。Barcelonaに立ち寄った時には最終日、必ず1泊します。無料で空港まで送迎してもらえるからです。今回は市内から空港までL9の地下鉄で行って、空港からタクシーで行きましたがなんと30ユーロ（チップ込）もかかりました。スペイン広場から空港に向かうのと、同じくらいのコストです。空港から向かう時もHotelからの送迎をお願いしましょう。 ホテル周辺は何もないので、空港で調達しましょう。なおホテル内に売店はあります。ホテル前から既報の通り、市バスが走っていました（利用していません）。室内はきれいで、安心して過ごせます。バスタブも広くて利用価値大です。またシャワーのお湯の出具合も良好です。シャンプー、ボディソープ、ボディーローションがありました。またお得意様ということでチョコもプレゼントされました（笑）…写真の通りです。TVに日本語番組はありません。また館内に夜１１時まで利用できる小さなプール、サウナがあります。コインランドリーはありませんでした。翌日、早くに出発を予定される方にはぜひ、お薦めホテルです。 It is highly recommended for tourists to leave in the early morning at Barcelona. Because it is possible to use the shuttle from the hotel. It took about 15-20 min. fro the hotel to airport. Unfortunatelly, I had to pay 30 Euro as the taxi fare from the airport (arrival level) to this hotel. So, I recommend to use the shuttle service from the airport even if we have to wait for the pick up long time. In the hotel, there is a mini store and swimming pool with sauna. And the room is very clean. There are no stores and restaurants around the hotel at all.

We really enjoyed our time here! Emanuel was great, so nice and thoughtful. There is a direct bus to the city that stops in the Ramblas area and a shuttle to the airport. I recommend this hotel, especially if you arrive to Barcelona in a late flight.

We enjoyed the convenience of the shuttle to and from the airport. The staff was helpful, the room was quiet and sparkling clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable . We would definitely stay here again should we be traveling through BNC!

This is a perfectly decent hotel and it's surprisingly quiet, given its location in Fiumcino, very close to the airport. Breakfast is extra unless you book it, but is buffet style and very good in terms of the range of items available. WiFi is good and there are 2 computers with internet access in reception if you don't have a laptop/smartphone. Staff were really helpful and spoke very good English.

I booked this room about 3 weeks before my stay. Within 10 minutes I realized I got the date wrong. I contacted the hotel, admitted my error and asked for a change in dates which they agreed for another 35€. The hotel was non refundable so I kept the reservation for obvious reasons. When I arrived I asked if they would waive the fee. They said no but they upgraded me to a suite. I said I didnt want the suite but rather to have the fee waived, they refused. Internet was slow, lobby was pokey, and the "suite" was the same as any other average hotel room I have stayed in in Europe.

This hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the Barcelona El Prat airport. It provides clean and comfortable rooms with good amenities at a reasonable price. A big plus is the free airport shuttle provided by the hotel. (The shuttle starts operating at 5:00 am. If you need to leave before that time, a taxi would cost 25-40 euros, depending on the terminal you are going to.)

This is a great hotel if you need to be close to the airport. They have an airport shuttle and their website provides a video on how to locate the bus stop at the airport. We called them when we reached the bus stop. We stayed only for one night because of an early flight the next day. The room was nice and comfortable. Enjoyed the shower as well. Heard no noise from outside or the neighbours. Since the hotel is in the industrial area, we ate dinner at the hotel. Too tired to venture far from the area. We weren't the only ones because it was pretty busy. You can either eat at the restaurant or at the bar. The bar served burgers, if that is what you're looking for. The food at the restaurant was okay. The waiters were very nice. The reception staff provided good service and check-in was quick. They also recommended when to take the shuttle in the morning so we didn't miss our flight. You will need to tell them in advance when you want the shuttle the next day, so they can document it on their list of passengers. The hotel's location and shuttle makes it perfect for morning flights.

A few comments tips for other travelers using this hotel for a one night stay A. Airport shuttle from Terminal one - there's a bit of construction going on but follow the signs down the steps to 9 numbered bus stops. These are stops for both offsite parking and hotel buses. B. Dinner They tell you that you are in an industrial area with no place to eat. But it's an easy 20 minutes walk to lots of great restaurants in El Prat de Llobregat across the river. Safe and very lively on a Friday night with families. C Breakfast I ate at the buffet hoping for good coffee but it was a machine that made burnt espresso. Lots of rich meats and dessert cakes but I did find yogurt and made tomato bread. Gas station across the street may be better option with their coffee and roll special per another guest. D Airport security in BCN. I'd advise leaving early on a Saturday at least. Security is very slow and quite a few people missed flights. Pleasant staff. Nice rooms. Loved the shower. I'd select it again

I stayed at the BW plus hotel alfa aeropuerto on my last night of a week long stay in Barcelona. My stay was based on the hotel's location near the airport and the shuttle service. My room on the first floor was very clean but dated. The bathroom was the hit of the room. Large and nicely decorated. I like to get out of hotel rooms and walk, but the area the hotel is in is next to an industrial park and very busy with traffic. There is not much to see or walk to in the area unless one wants to walk toward the shoreline (quite some distance). The salmon dinner that I had in the hotel restaurant was good, but not overly memorable. The first wine I ordered was not available. Luckily, my second choice was available and very good. The breakfast buffet was quite small for 10.90 EU. I could not find any granola on the buffet. The ham was pretty dry and stiff. Also, this hotel cost me more than my hotel I had in downtown Barcelona. All of the staff were friendly and helpful during my stay. Overall, I'd stay here again when needing a hotel close to the airport to catch a flight, but I enjoyed hotels where I could walk around and enjoy the sites.

This hotel on airport property or very nearby, and has a shuttle to take you to your early morning flight. Good breakfast to start the day. Very nice room. Great choice for the night before flying home.

I was only for 3 hours in the hotel, because of a stop over in Barcelona! My flight was delayed, but the night manager organised that the shuttle bus was waiting for me. Finally he invited me for a beer, what is not usual in this days. Therefore I would give my personal thanks to Manuel Fernandez who understands the needs of his clients. The driver of the shuttle bus was also very kind! Excellent service and once again many thanks to both of you! I hope your management appreciates your great job! As an American traveller who does not speak Spanish, I was grateful that the staff spoke excellent English. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was beautifully laid out, and very tasty. The room was clean, cool, with a comfortable bed. The shuttle to the airport was on time and organized. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who needs a quick trip to the airport in Barcelona.

We stayed here 5 nights because our return home to Florida was delayed due to hurricane Dorian in early September. We wanted to be near the airport and this hotel was only a mile away and had a free shuttle to and from the airport. . While the location is not in the City Center, there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel and in 25 minutes we were in the tourist area. The hotel was lovely and, without exception, every staff member was courteous, professional and accommodating. Our room, although on the small side, was clean and had everything we needed. The towels were big and fluffy, the pillows and bedding very comfortable. We did not have a car and there was a very limited choice of places to eat near the hotel so we ate a lot of our meals at their restaurant. We enjoyed every meal we had there. I can't honestly think of anything negative about this hotel. It is a great value and I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel which was close to the airport and cruise terminal. The staff are all very helpful, and the rooms well appointed. Due to the location, eating choices are limited so we decided to eat in the hotel. The food is ok, both the evening meal and the breakfast were well presented and tasty. the breakfast was a buffet affair. Overall a good hotel.

I'm currently at the Best Western Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto and challenged by the constant interruptions to the Internet service. I have had to make several trips to the lobby to reconnect, which is quite annoying. I'm also disappointed by the location and it's relationship to the Metro station as well as its location in an isolated industrial area. Finally, and these are small gripes, the room temperature cannot be adjusted so it's either ice cold or extremely warm, the market choices are limited, the rooms are not sufficiently sound resistant, and the amenities require significant assistance, i.e. telephone, beauty mirror, room door lock, etc. Although the price was decent, remember, you get what you pay for.

We had the best stay during our short visit. We received a warm welcome from the very professional and humorous Manuel Fernandez. We were pleasantly surprised by the fantastically modern interior of the hotel and rooms (love all the lights). We immediately felt at home and Manuel was very generous. This hotel comes highly recommended for those looking for something close to the airport. We will be back!

The rooms, staff, location of the hotel were great. We used the free shuttle to the airport which was convenient - just make sure you sign up for the shuttle when checking in. We used the pool with my grand daughters after a day of travel. The rooms are modern and pleasant. We had two rooms and their is a pull out cot which added a third bed - very convenient.

Wonderful hotel. The outside made me a little skeptical yet as you pull in and walk inside, its modern and beautiful. Clean hotel, friendly front desk agents, and great price for the rooms! Been at 6 different BW during my 3 week long vacation, this is my favorite property!

I booked this hotel very last minute as we were staying in calella with a check out time of 10:00 but our flight wasn't till 21:40 and my daughter was very poorly, we needed somewhere for her to rest before flying home. Booking and check in was very efficient Staff were very helpful Room was immaculately clean and beds very comfortable Location is great for the airport Local shop and restaurants , pharmacy and bank are just 5 minutes walk , out the hotel, turn left then left again through the turnstiles Free shuttle to airport was brilliant We would definitely recommend and return

We just needed a hotel for one night. Hotel itself is nice and clean, reception staff friendly and breakfast is nice, omelettes made to order which is a nice touch. Breakfast is 10.50. We got an email with the times the bus could pick us up from the airport but the directions weren't adequate. Basically you come out of arrivals turn right and walk down to the very end, the airport shuttles go from there. It is an 8 to 10 minute walk. As a result of the directions from the hotel we missed a shuttle as we couldn't find where it was going from and had to wait 40 minutes for next one and got eaten by mozzies while waiting. Anyway nice hotel, airport shuttle needs better directions.

This is good and clean place, but for one or two nights. The location is not quiet, some windows have a view on the road with a lot of trucks. There are no restaurants nearby, except inside the hotel. You have to walk 20-25 minutes to get some shops and restaurants. Our room was clean. Bathroom didn't have useful cosmetic sets (shampoo, body lotion, shower gel, etc.), there were only liquid soap and body wash fixed in the wall. Reception service was good. Airport transfer was pretty useful. But driver arrived later than scheduled.

Stayed here for the last night of our holiday to be close to the airport and for that job this hotel was very good indeed. Our free bus was waiting outside at 9am as arranged and took us (via a little detour to drop off some other travellers at the other terminal) straight to our departure terminal. Excellent. Downsides, although its well connected for transport (bus 21 stops outside the door and Mercabarna is 600m away) those journeys in to town both take a good chunk of time and are not interesting. You see a bit of the docks on the bus but that's after a massive industrial area. Nothing offensive but its valuable holiday time being spent looking at industrial stuff. This may be more a criticism of the area of the hotel but you may find you can stay near El Prat station and still have access to the airport but also get in to town in 12 minutes to Sants on a proper train as opposed to 25-30 on the bus. May not be a big thing, that. But a little Barcelona day trip the afternoon before felt like an age particularly as some of the route was congested on the highway. Otherwise fairly satisfactory, it is high quality and modern and quite well equipped with a pool, restaurant and bar. Room was air conditioned although this looked like it was on a timer and stopped after a while so it was still too hot for my liking. So not the perfect stay but certainly up to the job and convenient enough.

The room is quite spacious, bed was actually pretty wide and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and had all the necessary toiletires and a hair dryer. soundproofing of the rooms are not very good. They provide sauna/swimming pool services till 10 PM, there is a small shop and a restaraunt on the ground floor. I liked the idea of flight airport-style board in the lobby. Check-in and check-out very fast. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to and from the airport - very quick and convinient. For me - its a great option to have rest between the flights, but you have nothing to do in or around the hotel.

I am sorry to say but there was not a single thing I was satisifed with. The menu presented a really narrow choice of dishes, at very high prices. The bread served at the beginning was at least a week old, you could break your teeth biting it (I didn't dare). I ordered the seasonal salad, it came as a mix of vegetables, all you can imagine, plus a piece of boiled egg and a big piece of canned tuna (it looked like someone just took half of the can content and put it on the plate); the main dish was chicken breast with potatoes - the waiter assured me there are some side vegetables served as well. I received 4 slices of the chicken breast, some potatoes - both of them pretty ok, but also a half of a grilled mushroom, a slice of the grilled eggplant and the slice of the burned slice of the corncob. Not too much as "vegetables".... The dessert (creme brulle) was not any better, the surface was burned to the extend you could feel like you are eating coal. The red wine (I ordered only a glass so it was served from the opened bottle) was very sharp in taste as if it stayed opened for too long. The description of my experience is pretty lenghty but truly it was one of the worst culinary experience I have had in my life! Dear Hotel Management - please do something about it. This is disrespectful to your guests who expect better quality when eating in a 4 star hotel, and they pay over 30 € per one person per dinner. Surprisingly , the breakfast was really good! Maybe you have different cooks for the morning and for the evening? The thing is there are no restaurants near the hotel so if you want to have a quick dinner you have no choice but to eat in the hotel.

This hotel has lovely staff. We had a long day of traveling and the main desk took care of our shuttle for the next day and anything else we might have needed. We went to a very clean and comfortable room, exactly what we needed.

Great hotel. Only drawback is it's not close to anything. Onsite restaurant is fantastic and even catered to my daughter's nut allergy. Nice breakfast in the am. Reception was slow and took a while to check us in. Smallest elevators I've ever been in.

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel Alfa before and after a cruise. The hotel was extremely close to the airport and included a free shuttle. When the shuttle was full when we needed to get to the airport the hotel staff called a taxi for us and covered the cost. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They were ready and eager to answer questions and help us make our way through the city. The hotel was very clean and updated. We ate at the restuarant for dinner, which we thought was a bit pricy for what we got. Breakfast, however, was buffet style and was a wide spread of breakfast meats, cheeses, pastries, and even sparkling wine for mimosas to start your day. It was definitely worth an extra few euros. The only downside to the location is that if you want to explore the city it is a 20 minute ride on the bus, metro, or by taxi. All stops are close to the hotel and the staff happily helped us find our way. If I were to cruise out of Barcelona again I would definitely stay here!

Very nice Hotel but close to nothing. They do have a restaurant on the premises. Little expensive but there is nothing else around. The hotel clerks were very friendly. They had a small store inside with snacks and things if you needed anything.

This Best Western had everything that you needed. Rooms were clean and property well maintained. The breakfast they have there was wonderful. Lots to choose from and very reasonable! Recommend to have your breakfast cat the hotel. You can take a bus right outside the door to take you right into Barcelona. Bus is cheap to take as well. So just keep in mind you do need to get transportation from the hotel into Barcelona.. about 20 mins. The hotel rate was very reasonable, the best we found for a 1 night stay..

The outside and location doesn't look like much, but it'd the inside that counts. The staff was great and the room was clean. The food in the restaurant was very good, both dinner and breakfast. Shuttle to airport was prompt.

The hotel is rather close to the airport -- we took a taxi from airport to hotel and paid EU20. The hotel has a shuttle service which was very good and convenient, but be sure to ask about the timing because you may have to wait awhile. The room and furnishings are old, dated and far from amenities. The only reason we stayed here was because we had an early morning flight. However, the pleasant and helpful staff members made a difference.

We only stayed here for one night, the night before our flight home the next morning. The room was very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. We also had lunch there and it was equally as good. I would definitely stay there again!

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The room was adequate and clean. The two single beds moved and creaked, even if only sitting on the bed or rolling over in bed. The bathroom has recently been renovated, but the rest of the furnishings are old. There must have been water leaking from the bar fridge, because the surrounding furniture was damaged. It is a 12-13 minute ride from the airport to the hotel and it seems to be located in a light industrial area. When we arrived at 3:30 pm, the kitchen was closed and there were very limited offerings available until 8:30 p.m. We ended up taking the shuttle back to the airport to get something to eat. I know it's Barcelona, and restaurants often close from 2-5 pm, but this is an airport hotel that is serving travellers making their way from point A to B at various hours. Although customary, no food service between 2-5 at the hotel doesn't make sense. I realize that Best Western is a budget hotel, but we've stayed at much better BWs in other locations. We actually paid almost 50 Euro more for one night at this hotel than we paid in the centre of Barcelona at a fantastic boutique hotel. It was helpful to have th shuttle to and from the airport.

I sometimes use Airport Hotels for convenience, but I'd even use this one for more than one night happily. It's a great hotel for its budget, conveniently located with a Euro20 taxi ride into Barcelona. Unlike many airport hotels the room was quiet, and spacious. The hotel is well laid out and offers a spa and facilities, late arrival welcomes, etc. There is a shuttle to the airport. Manuel Fernandez welcomed me on my arrival, and couldn't have been more kind and helpful. Five stars for budget and location.

My wife and I used Best Western Plus Hotel Alfa as our home base during our recent visit to Barcelona and Costa Brava. Yes, it is primarily an airport hotel, suited for the needs of the business traveler. But as tourists, we were pleasantly surprised that the hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and location. Although the hotel is situated relatively far from the tourist districts of Barcelona, public transport is convenient to the hotel, and within half an hour, one can be in the heart of the city. The A-21 bus stops a few meters away from the entrance to the hotel, and the Mercabarna Metro station is a short 600 meter walk. Overall, I would rate the hotel "above-average" in terms of comfort and cleanliness. The staff at Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto will accommodate your every need and request with a smile. Our room was smallish, but adequate. Our bed was quite comfort, and there was nothing that distracted us from getting a good night's sleep. My only criticism is that only one of the two lobby elevators was functional during our entire stay at the hotel. The Merkat Bar/Restaurant has an excellent selection of local and international cuisine, and is reasonably-priced. The daily buffet breakfast is well worth the $10 Euros. The complimentary airport shuttle service is a godsend, and operates between the hours of 5 am and midnight. My wife and I plan on returning to this Best Western hotel during our next trip to Barcelona.

We chose this hotel because it was the best value hotel at the time of booking. It was for an overnight stay while waiting to join a cruise ship. The hotel has a free shuttle bus which ran on time to the posted schedule. The hotel also offers a special rate for those guests joining a cruise though we did not know this at the time of booking so could not avail of the discount. Arriving at the hotel around 20:30hrs we found that the hotel had no electricity but were advised that it was expected back on in 15 minutes. We had to climb stairs to the 4th floor brining our luggage with us. After being let into our room, our key cards obviously didn't work due to the power failure; we sat in the dark awaiting the lights coming back on; after 20 minutes we went back to reception for an update and were again told about 15 minutes. We could not avail of a meal, so waited in the bar area until the power returned. After an hour we returned to the 4th floor of the hotel still without power. The power returned around 5am over 8 hours after checking in. The room was noisy with passing traffic so all in all we had a disturbed night. Breakfast was meager and on the cold side. On checking out we were charged for our breakfast, maybe naive, we thought after a disturbed night and no power as a gesture they might have thrown breakfast in, nope. We never even received an apology for the conditions at check in or throughout our wait in the bar. On checking out there was still no apology. It is difficult to rate this hotel on this stay alone but if we found a better rate at an adjacent hotel we'd probably opt for the other hotel.

Nice budget hotel with shuttle service from airport. Check in was very easy, no problem, staff was nice. Room was nice bit outdated and bathroom was a bit smelly...but overall would stay there again for overnight, friendly staff, clean room, good transfer to airport

We arrived early to the BW Plus Alfa, and they were able to get us in our room. That was a wonderful service because we had been traveling all morning, and we were anxious to get settled. We ate an early supper in the bar area and the hamburgers and French fries were really good. A real person did our wake up call and the shuttle was very prompt and got us to the airport in plenty of time to take our international flight. Thank you, Best Western.

Stayed here for 1 night only, was handy, close to airport, they have shuttle service which was very good, very well organized. Room was nice, clean and "kind of modern", bed was ok. Would stay there again for sure.

Hotel is about 15 min from the airport. Very difficult to find the exact location for pickup of shuttle transfer from airport. Hotel is very worn, rooms are very basic, carpets are stained, walls are dented and unrepaired. Poor wifi. Some rooms are next to a rail line.

The hotel location is very convenience to catch early morning flight. The shuttle run well. The reception staff (Manvel Fernandez) was very nice, even offered us a cup of coffee while we were waiting for the shuttle.

This hotel is 15 minutes away from the hotel (if you take the free shuttle). If your flight is early in the morning and you have to be at the airport very early this hotel is for you. They have a free shuttle, which you have to book in the reception, from 5 in the morning. The hotel is nice and clean, has a hair dryer, kettle and mini bar.

This hotel was just fine for our needs. We needed a place close to the airport as we had to head there at 5:30am. They had a free shuttle service as well. There is much around the hotel however. We could have taken a bus and metro to downtown but that seemed a little complex for me with two young kids so we took a taxi. Pricey, but worth it. The rooms are nothing exciting but we slept and made our flight home.

Stayed in this hotel 2 times recently, both times were overnight stay, had to catch flight in the morning. Reception staff was really helpful, both times.. Room was clean and tidy, walls a bit thin (have had worse)...Would stay here again.

Five minutes away from airport, bit too far from city centre which concerned me but bus stopped right outside, €2 and 15mins to Barcelona. Metro five min walk away. Rooms spacious and very clean. All hotel staff were friendly and efficient, gave us good ‘tourist' information.

This was our 3rd stay in BW + Alfa Hotel in Barcelona within last 20 days.The location is perfect ( close to airport with convenient free shuttle). The property has renovated bathrooms with quality amenities.We are impressed with the service, cleanliness and the atmosphere of the hotel. The restaurant has very balanced menu and excellent food. The housekeeping kept our room 411 spotless and tidy. All staff are friendly and well trained how to service this very busy location. The hotel is clean, tidy and everyone from the reception staff to the housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Situated a five-minute walk from a metro stop - which is on the same line as the stop for Camp Nou - the hotel provides a great location for visiting the stadium and exploring further afield into Barcelona. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus which takes the stress out of traveling from and to the airport. Ideal for families as the hotel is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona centre to be quiet and peaceful, but near enough to the centre to get to and from easily. The metro is ideal but a taxi from the centre only cost 15 euros if the subway isn't your thing. There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel gates. The hotel has a small shop where you can buy water, sweets, beers, and essentials you may need. the bar area is small but very comfortable with sofas and a TV and serves food up to 11 pm. There is a restaurant in the hotel that offers a different menu as well. Breakfast is served from 5.30 am to 11 am and offers a wide selection of both hot and cold options. There is also a min-bar in the room which isn't ridiculously priced. I would definitely stop here again if visiting Barcelona.

Stayed here for transit only. There is a shuttle bus available for free, make sure you got the schedule to avoid long waiting in the airport. Room is ok for a transit hotel, complete with all its amenities Also a bus stop for going to the city. Overall, nothing to complain for a transit hotel

This hotel rated itself as a four star hotel. But in my opinion, the facilities, the room quality, and furnishings are really no more than 3 star category. It is really just a motel in an industrial zone, where truck drivers stay. I had a couple hours to kill before my shuttle bus ride to BCN, and wanted to use their two fitness machines shown in hotel photos. The front desk staff pleasantly told me they were out of service....oh well.

I contacted the hotel prior to our visit to find our where to catch the hotel shuttle & received a prompt detailed outline describing where we should go from either from Terminal 1 & 2. Suggest you do the same if you're not familiar with BCN. BTW It is a little bit of a walk from the luggage pick up to Parking G 2here the shuttle picks up Terminsl 1 travellers. It took approx 15 min so I would guess a cab fare could be significant. There is really nothing in the area, we did not try to go downtown because we were fatigued from travel & have visited Barcelona In the past. The hotel has a very good appearance, the hotel desk ckerk checking us in was pleasant, efficient & helpful. The hotel provides 2 vouchers for 2 glasses of vino. We had some nachos in the bar which were extremely disappointing, With all the delicious cheeses in Spain, I feel the nachos could have been more tasty, the tortilla chips had a melted Velveta type cheese sparsely over the top & that's it. We are now going to try the main restaurant & are hoping we have e better results. Btw, The room is comfortable, clean & modern, we were quite pleased there. The Pool is small however it's indoors & enjoyed on this cool evening.

Receptionist- Sílvia was most accommodating by listening to my needs by making certain my request was met. Her customer service skills is an asset to the Alfa Aeropuerto. Because of her personal attention, I will definitely return when I have an overnight in Barcelona!

This hotel is located close to the airport and is ideal for an overnight stay prior to an early flight. It is not close to downtown so it really is an in transit accommodation. I would rate the hotel as excellent. Modern, clean, nice rooms and a very good restaurant. Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful. Value for money is again excellent

The Best Western Barcelona Afra hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport. They have a free shuttle that runs every 30-45 minutes. The breakfast buffet looked good, and they give everyone a welcome glass of Cava. The staff was welcoming and friendly for the most part. The location is next to the local bus stop with nothing else around, and it takes 30 minutes to get to downtown on the bus. It also cost us 25 Euro to take a taxi from the Barcelona Sant train station to the hotel. Next time, I will stay closer to downtown (Gothic, Gracia, Eixample districts) and close to a Metro stop for the multitude of restaurants, markets, and culture, and for inexpensive and convenient transportation to anywhere in town. We had a triple room, which was very small and awkward, looked dated, had no desk, and a damp & moldy extra pillow in the closet. The hotel was fairly inexpensive, so maybe this is to be expected for the price. Earlier in our trip we stayed at a Marriott in the Gracia district, and the location was ideal.

The Best Western Plus Alfa Aeropuerto is a bit of a surprise as airport hotels go. First of all it is IMPOSSIBLE to see the see the hotel sign when approaching from one direction, even when your GPS says "You have arrived at your destination". You must turn your car around 180 degrees and then the sign "ALFA" reveals itself. Hotel's reception staff is friendly and helpful. Each guest receives a coupon for a complimentary glass of sparkling wine in the hotel's bar. Nice touch. Rooms are quiet - no noise from the street or from approaching / departing planes. We ate in both the bar (lunch) and restaurant (dinner). The restaurant serves excellent food, if a bit on the pricey side. The bar's menu offers less expensive, but more casual, choices.

I stayed in this hotel during my transit in Barcelona. Check in and check out was smooth. Both the time the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Room is decent size and modern. The reason I gave it 4 star and not 5 are two. 1) the central air conditioning was closed so ac in the room was not working hence had no ventilation in the room.they do have windows . 2) the bathing area is small and hot water flow from the shower is very slow. All in all would like to stay here again if need to.

Though not in the centre of Barcelona there was a bus stop right outside the hotel which cost about 2 euros each way into the centre. The free shuttle bus was great getting to and from the airport. The hotel was very quiet

It was close to the airport which we needed and their free airport shuttle was very helpful. The only things we didn't like about the hotel was the restarurant didn't open for dinner until 8:00 pm, so the only option we had for an early dinner was room service. They were quick, but there were only a couple choices and it was just ok. Our room was a nonsmoking room, but we kept smelling cigarette smoke coming in from some where. The hotel was clean and the staff were nice that we dealt with.

I have stayed here several times when I had an early morning departure because of proximity to the airport. The complimentary airport shuttle runs frequently. Rooms are on the small side. The restaurant is overpriced and the few times I ordered the food was not good. A few snacks and toiletries are available in a small shop near the front desk. Not a good choice for visiting the city but one of the best options if you need to be near the airport.

Clean, tidy, and super comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to assist and the overall experience was just great. It's a bit removed from town, but a perfect spot close to the airport. Recommended 100%

The staff and services were very very good. They were friendly, helpful and appeared sincerely happy in what they were doing. The food in the restaurant was excellent and so was the breakfast. Best of all they actually paid for a car to transport us to the airport in the morning. The bus to downtown was right outside the hotel and the taxi back was about 15 Euros. Highly recommend this property.

I had meetings in Girona and as there was no direct flights from Ireland at this time of year I decided to fly into Barcelona and commute. I arrived after 8 pm, rented a car and headed to the Alfa Aeropuerto. Check in was easy and the staff very friendly. My room was clean and warm and had all the amenities required, Power sockets, Kettle, tea, coffee and UHT milk. I went to the Bar and had a beer, but following a big meal at the airport decided not to dine, even though the menu had a nice variety that seemed reasonably priced. After my beer I decided to retire for the night and I had a good nights sleep. Shower was great and the continental breakfast had plenty of fresh options. Again all staff encountered were friendly and welcoming. Check out, was simple and friendly. I would defiantly stay again in the circumstances I had been in.

I was looking for a hotel for the night to catch an early flight out. Found what looked like a reasonable price in a hotel for a woman travelling alone. What also sold it was the free shuttle from airport to hotel. Well try and get hold of this place to try and find out where to get the shuttle - impossible! Ended up paying €25 for a taxi to get to a hotel in the middle of an industrial estate next to a motorway! Also promised was free tv and Wi-Fi. TV in Spanish BBC world not available at all,so that was a no go. Wi-Fi very patchy and trying to watch a movie in my device was maddening. Then there was the promised restaurant, if noted from previous reports to avoid the veal so forewarned I was there at 20:10 to be told it was full , now beat in mind you can't go anywhere else. I was told it opened at 20:00! They have a sort of shop which I got a couple of dried up sandwiches,and various other unknown junk food items as I was starving. Good thing was there had pre mixed bottles of gin & tonic which helped the dried up sandwiches go down. The aircon was preset at 26 degrees I tried to turn it down no luck so I called reception who said to turn it off as the whole hotel has the same temp. Opened the windows until it was bearable and I could no longer stand the traffic on aforesaid motorway. Wake up call was on time ,a free bottle of water and 2 cups of tea or coffee were in the room with as kettle. Breakfast was continental in extreme coffee,juice and 1 pastry for €5. I did however get the mysterious shuttle bus back to the airport. There was a strange language barrier when I tried to complain about trying to use it to get there. I gave up only to pleased to be ripped off by the airport for good and drink! Hotel was clean room small but adequate, no shower gel etc normally available. Would I go again nope I'd rather save my money and sleep in the airport!

Our family used this as a stop off after flying in to Barcelona and before spring to ski in Andorra. There is a convenient shuttle bus from the airport which is easy to use. There is a car park in the rear of the property behind a barrier. Just ask staff to let you out. The hotel is actually about 6 Kim's from terminal 1 but very close to the airport Although no real noise. It is located in an industrial estate zone so nothing going on at night nearby. I little difficult to locate by car but once there all was fine. Staff were welcoming and efficient. The bar area was good with wide range of bar food and there was what looked like a good restaurant with wide quality menu. Rooms were clean, modern looking and functional with good shower room. Family travelled into Barcelona before my arrival. They took the metro and bus which was easy. Good for a transit stop and surprisingly nice hotel in this industrial park area. I would go again if I needed a stop place for a night near the airport with good links into the city. Booked on Booking.com.

Stayed in this hotel last year in December, only 1 overnight stay, hotel has shuttle service however I arrived late to Barcelona airport so decided to take a taxi (18 euro), probably overcharged me so be aware of that! Hotel staff was very helpful, room was big enough and "modern". Would stay here again I think.

A big thank you to Manuel, he is a very welcoming and kind hearted man. As I arrived he helped me work out my full journey for my early morning start. Without him I may have missed my flight. Stayed here one night. Hotel was good, friendly reception staff, easy check in in the evening and out in early morning. 4 stars only because I think shuttle service from airport should be organized a little bit better. Overall nice say and would stay here again.

the free Shuttle Bus worked like CLOCKWORK with no hitch. we had expensive takeaway leftover lunch. Both the Bar and the operating Kitchen refused to use Microwave and heat the container for us. I approached the Front desk and a new Trainee named "MANFRED ESSONTI" went beyond his duty and helped me heat up the food in the STAFF KITCHEN. really a nice gesture. morning breakfast was great .

Great airport hotel that was clean, modern, comfortable, friendly, and great price. We spent 1 night. Took cab into city for dinner. Shuttle was on time at airport (call ahead). I liked how they reserved the next days shuttle for you to ensure your spot in the van. Shuttle takes about 15-20 min to BCN depending upon which terminal. Highly recommend.

Airport hotel is located in an industrial park. There are no restaurants or bars in the surrounding. The subway is close : 10 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable. Hotel provides a free transfer to the airport.

Free airport shuttle and continental breakfast near airport. However first room they put me in had no wi fi was very small and had no bathtub. After speaking with front desk moved to nice room twice the size witbathtub and wi fi. Clean and good customer service. Too far from downtown made it inconvenient. Pool and sauna.

My mother and I recently stayed for a quick trip to Barcelona on our way home from Europe. Manuel Fernandez welcomed us at almost 3:00am after a delayed flight and was eager to give us information about exploring the city the next day. He was wonderful! The room was comfortable, clean and very inviting. The next day we took a short bus trip, the stop is just right outside the hotel, into Barcelona. We were able to get to and back from Barcelona city center with great ease. We will definitely be back next time we are in Barcelona. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so comfortable, easy and enjoyable.

I had originally booked the hotel as an overnight stay for a flight the following day. The death of a friend necessitated a change in date of travel. At that point I realised that I had unwittingly booked a no-cancellation package. The Agency suggested the only recourse would be directly to the hotel but were not optimistic. The response from the hotel's Esther Sole, however, was very sympathetic and I was able to transfer my booking to a later date. I took the free hotel bus from airport to hotel. The receptionist was polite and friendly and very helpful with advice and guidance. I had a light dinner in the restaurant. The menu was interesting and varied and I chose an anchovy dish with garlic tomato bread that was attractively presented and delicious. The wine list was modest but with a good selection. Again the service was courteous and friendly from the Maitre d' to the table waiters. The room was comfortable, well furnished and spotlessly clean. A hand written note of welcome was placed on the desk. The overall impression of the hotel was of efficiency, courtesy and an unusual level of discreet friendliness form reception, through restaurant to transport staff. Altogether a pleasant experience.

I ended up at this hotel after my flight back to New York was cancel. By the time the airline dropped over 150 passengers here they were able to accommodate everyone in a very short period of time. The service at the front desk was outstanding- they help me out to dial up the airline number to rebook my flight. Rooms were extremely clean and I loved the complementary tea/coffee. The food at the dinning room was beyond my expectations. The breakfast was beyond good and the variety of bread, hams, cheese, fruits, etcs was to die for! Overall, it is a great place to stay. Things to improve; bigger dinning room (only because the food is amazing and people take long time to eat it). Minus- is not in Barcelona Centro but totally close to the Prat airport. To improve: Perhaps the outside can have a coat of paint- but don't judge the book by its cover because is clean and beautiful inside :) Thank you for making my already overwhelming flight a great extra nite stay in Barcelona - ! We stayed one night after a late arrival and before an early morning departure. The front desk manager, Manuel, was excellent. He provided excellent instructions for the shuttle when we called upon landing and his warm hospitality when we arrived to the hotel was outstanding and very much appreciated. He attended to all our needs and was very efficient checking us in and setting up the shuttle service the following morning. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent service!

first and foremost i would like to thank all the staff at this hotel - from the shuttle bus driver to the cleaning crew - unfortunately i only had the pleasure of staying one night in this hotel but i would return again willingly just to be treated the way that we were - from the moment we checked in we felt so welcomed, the receptionist who dealt with us on check in and check out was a lovely girl called Dina - she gave us so much information and made sure that our 24 hour stay in barcellona was going to be a seemless and positive experience and without her tips and advice we would not have been able to have done half of what we achieved in such a short space of time BUT EVEN BEFORE WE GOT TO THE HOTEL, A RESERVATIONS MANAGER CALLED Esther Solè made sure that my every question was answered within minutes of sending an enquiry via their customer service website - she was exceptional and her information was precise and to the point - we had the pleasure of meeting with her on after dinner and she delightfully offered us a glass of Cava on the house as a final and beautiful touch to this magnificent stay but the star of the show was Rafa, the Maitre in the hotel restaurant - he showed us the fixed menue choices for the day even at an early hour the morning we arrived and also told us about the alla carte options - we had no time to eat in Barcellona so opted to just keep going and eat in the hotel in the evening to maximise our time in the city..........we MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE AND SO DID THE OTHER DINERS THAT HE ALSO TREATED WITH GREAT RESPECT AND COURTESY. we had such a nice fixed menue meal that he altered to suit my no gluten requirements by swapping sides on the main course and cheese instead of desert - every day the menue changes and comprises water but not wine and the cost is only 19.50 euros plus obviously whatever extra drinks you desire - the plates are abundant and the service impeccable and quick but the kindness and the friendliness of the staff is what makes this whole environment special, this is simply an airport hotel, located on an industrial estate out of the city BUT you get into Busy Barcellona in 20 minutes on a bus that with a stop that is situated just outside the hotel, cost of bus 2.20 euros and the hotel is so quiet unlike the hotels in barcellona that are situated in the chaos of a bustling city - within 20 minutes you are in the airport via the FREE HOTEL SHUTTLE BUS - booked the night before and the rooms are spacious and clean, there is a fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee and complimentary water WE TOOK A LOOK AT THE BREAKFAST BUFFET AND IT IS TO DIE FOR, THEY EVEN PROVIDE CAVA for a buks fizz and you can also opt for an express breakfast - the full breakfast whichis so varied and delicious costs 10.90 euros and the express option 4.90 euros. I cannot say any more than this as perfection is the only word that truely describes the service, the staff and the stay. I hope to return to barcellona soon and evertime do i will stay at this hotel - nothing can top this. We stayed at the Best Western in 2015 and recently stayed again after arriving at the airport. After a day of flying we were tired and decided to eat in the hotel dining room. I never have high expections for restaurants attached to hotels but we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the service we received at their restaurant. The restaurant had nice cloth tablecloths and beautiful glassware and dishes. The best part was our bill. It was really reasonable for the quality of the food we ordered. Since the Best Western is in an industrial area with very limited availability for restaurants we recommend you use their dining venue, you won't regret it! We did use the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. It is quite a walk to the pickup point and as others have mentioned you will probably wait 20-30 minutes for pickup. This hotel is very reasonably priced so don't hesitate to book it when arriving or departing from BCN.

This hotel was so pleasant and the staff was so helpful. We had an overnight flight and we were horribly jet lagged. They allowed us to get in early and, when we left, they held our bags for us so we could finish our visit with no hassles. They called cabs for us to go places, and generally made our visit easy. The room was clean, efficient and the bed was comfy. The restaurant downstairs was a nice place to relax.

If they replace the carpeting on the second floor I would rate it a 5. Sufficient but small room, close to airport, free shuttle service and The food and beverage was quite a surprise. I was not expecting something to this nice from the best Western. The restaurant is over the top.

Not expensive, close to the Airport, free shuttle, comfortable room, tea/coffe machine, very kind staff! I travel frequently to Barcelona. It was my first time in this hotel. I enjoyed the night before my trip to France.

This hotel is just like a best western would be in the United States. I'm not sure why it has such high ratings. The carpets in hallways are old. The bed is clean. Food is terrible. It serves the purpose of an over night stay of you are catching a flight.

We arrived at this hotel later than planned due to a flight delay and then farce with the car hire company art he airport. We had a cranky, hungry, tired baby with us too. Check in is from noon according to Best Western when we booked over the phone. We arrived into the car park to find the barrier ticket machine didn't work so we had to keep pressing the button until reception let us in. We gathered our baby and a couple of bags and walked into reception where we stood for what seemed an eternity whilst a lady on reception dealt with other people. We eventually got seen and gave our name. We were told, probably around 12.20 by this time, that our room wasn't ready and would be "5 or 10 minutes". I ventured therefore to the car for our suitcases leaving my wife with our baby in reception. As I approached the revolving door with our cases, the sensors picked my movement up far too soon meaning my suitcases were trapped on the door. We sat waiting for the snooty lady on reception to tell us our room was now ready, this did not happen. So just before 1pm, an hour after we should have been in the room my wife approached reception again to ask how long it would be. We were then told our room was ready! So the receptionist, seeing we had a fidgeting, tired baby had just not bothered to tell us that the room was ready until we'd asked. Not a good impression. We went to our room in the third floor via the lift. The room was okay, the bed was comfortable to sleep in but this "Riverside" hotel was on the edge of some sort of warehousing and industrial site. My son was getting hungry so we decided to Google restaurants near our hotel and ventured into the industrial type area where we believe the restaurants were. We crossed the road into what seemed to be a large Indore fruit market, it was enormous. However when we saw some fresh fruit my son could eat we weren't allowed to buy it without a permit. I think this must be a big wholesalers or something. We returned towards the hotel and passed what looked like a restaurant. We walked on and what it appeared to be was a worker's bar on the right and canteen or something on the left. There appeared nowhere to eat for a baby at all. Additionally no one seemed to speak English even though one would think Barcelona was a tourist city and most would speak it in some form. I don't speak Spanish/Catalan and had no intention to ever visit Spain, but the wife wanted to visit friends further north in Ginoa so we flew into Barcelona and opted to stay in the hotel for a couple of nights and explore the city. We walked across the river along a really busy road to find somewhere to eat. What I will say about Barcelona is that I've never seen so much graffiti anywhere, it was on walls, shutters, buildings, just everywhere. We walked for what seemed like forever before we found somewhere where we managed to get my baby a sandwich and a supermarket to but him some fruit and returned to the hotel. . As my wife pushed the buggy through the revolving doors it trapped our buggy so clearly it is not right. We got to our room and i held my baby as he stood on the windowsill to look out towards the city. The large window was slightly ajar, so I tried to close it only to find it was broken and didn't close. We took my son to the pool for a dip, the sauna didn't work on either night we were there, or certainly wasn't switched on. The pool was adequate for a baby but I can honestly say my in-laws pool is bigger at their house, it wasn't very big at all. Also the room it was in was cold and draughty and there's no changing facilities you have to dress at the poolside in the draught, not ideal for a baby. Additionally as you walk past reception and open the glass door to head towards the po, the room smelt awful, unclean and musty. Anyhow we then took my son back upstairs to our room for a bath before bed. The bath takes ages to run. We then put my son to bed. What the hotel like to.mention is the river close by, what they fail to mention is the train line too. As our window didn't close properly, we heard the trains in the evening and all night there were lorries coming and going through the barriers 100yds away. There were also other industrial machines all night making a racket. On the second night there was lighting and heavy rain which was extremely noisy due to the window not closing! When we checked out on the Wednesday we were told the money had already been taken the day before, but we're not offered a bill to tell us what was taken and what it covered. For example it's about 9 euros a day to park in the secure car park which is clearly not secure when the security barrier (the clue is in the name!) didn't work and no one asked us who were were when we buzzed to be let out. In theory anyone could have stolen a patron's car and just buzzed and been let out. The only good point was a gentleman on reception who was pleasant, unlike the young lady with the glasses! So in conclusion. Some of the staff don't seem bothered. It's beside a noisy 24/7 industrial estate. The revolving door tries to squash you. There isn't secure parking although they charge for it. No one outside the hotel seems to speak English in a tourist resort popular with travellers from England. There's no where close to eat We spent 2 nights with friends after this stay then booked a different hotel for the last night near the airport, report to follow. Both my wife and I agreed that the second hotel was much better, nearly half the price but just didn't have a pool. It was, however adjacent to a large shopping centre so ideally. Over the two hotels I would certainly not recommend staying in this one again!

Took over an hour for shuttle pick up, and location of pick up very confusing. Bath area appeared not cleaned at all--hair from previous occupants in shower and sink. Bed was comfortable. Staff was a mix of great and not so great--the males were great, females needed some lessons in common courtsey. Restaurant food good, but part of staff--female waitress very rude and impatient.

The room was nice and clean, nothing special but certainly comfortable. The bathroom had a nice bathtub with good water pressure. The restaurant staff could have been nicer and the food quality could have been better as it was just average. Do not get the Faux grois as it wasn't very good.

We spent the night here, very nice staff. Comfortable room, nice bar area. We had great service there & in the restaurant. We watched nice young man handle 2 difficult customers very well, van service was efficient. The little store is a plus we didnt need to use it but nice it was there.

Perfectly fine airport hotel. Nice rooms, staff, amenities. Bus stop right at the entrance. Metro is a 10 minute walk. Free shuttle bus to airport. Be careful of ordering taxis at the hotel. They overcharge and I suspect split the extra with the conceirge. Otherwise very nice for an airport hotel.

If you're looking for a convenient hotel to the BCN airport, consider this option. It offers free airport shuttle, a complimentary glass of cava at check-in, apples at the reception desk, and clean, comfortable rooms. The rainhead shower was probably the best we enjoyed during our 2-week trip, and the bar offered decent selections of wine and beer. If you care to venture into town, the city bus picks up just a few steps from the hotel door. Front staff friendly and able to give advice & directions in English.

We decided to book this hotel for a 1 night stay because it is close to the airport. We arrived at Barcalona airport and took an Uber. It took approximately 15 mins and costed 17.42 (Euros).Check in was smooth and the desk clerk very pleasant. The room was clean and tidy. We ate at the bar..Chicken and Veal burgers. It was tasty and to our liking. The next day we checked out and the hotel was happy to keep our luggage for free as we ventured out to the city before our flight.The lady at the front desk was very helpful and accurate with maps and directions. She showed us how to get to FC Bacelona football stadium, Sagrada Familiar, La Rambla and Guell Park. This hotel is about 10 mins walk to the Macarbara train station which is a few stops away from Camp Nou( FC Barca Stadium). It is also 15 mins from the City Centre. There are no food places or shops located walking distance.You must take travel out of the area.The hotel also offers free pick up and return to the airport with their shuttle, but you must book ahead of time. I will recommend staying at this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if ever i am in Bacelona.

Arrived at 4pm today. Phoned from the airport and the free shuttle was there as promised after 15 minutes. Super friendly and helpful young lady on front desk. Room was modern and very clean, with coffee maker, mini bar, TV etc.. The bathroom also very modern with large walk in shower and monsoon shower head. Bus to city centre stops right outside every half hour, costs 2 euros 20 cents and takes 20 minutes to get to the bottom end of Ramblas.. Got back at half ten and had a drink in the bar which had a nice atmosphere with a TV quietly showing the football. I've booked a shuttle to the airport tomorrow morning and if that goes smoothly then nothing really not to like.. And all for 75 euros.. Would definitely stay here again.

I was on an early morning flight and wanted something close to Terminal 1. Everything at the hotel was as promised. We were dropped off right at the terminal on the departure level and it only took about 7 minutes to get there. The van was punctual and the driver both in the evening and in the morning were attentive and helpful. I would definitely recommend the hotel if your purpose is to simply get to the airport.

This hotel is only 15 mn away from the airport (between 20-25 euros at night). The service is very good as people working there are extremly helpful and nice. The room we had (a suit > 125 euros / night) was perfect. They even prepared a bed for our 1 year old baby. Spanish food was good in the restaurant and a parking is available if you rent a car (don't have to pay if you use the restaurant). Nice swimming-pool too with showers and towels provided if you want to relax ! We had a perfect stay there.

I was here in the summer of 2018 with my family. This hotel is very nice. Clean rooms, swimpool. place is excellent near by barca city. Parking for cars. Th man at the reception named Manuel Fernandez was very very friendly. When we checked out he gave my kids color pencels and he printed out some drawing pics they can draw. He gave us also water and drinks for the trip because we were deiving back to Amsterdam. I will deffinitly come back to this Hotel.

Excellent airport hotel. While a bit far from the airport, it was well worth the travel. Large modern rooms with great bathrooms/shower. Well appointed dining room with varied menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Commodious bar with large lounge area. Perfect for resting before long transatlantic flights!!

This should pride itself as the best hospitality outfit in Asaba, and beyond. Top notch services. It is always hard to get such service in this part of the world. My only problem with the hotel is that it is always fully booked, hence, I advice that you do a pre-booking before arrival

We finished our trip to Greece in Barcelona. We toured the city of Barcelona from this hotel and since the Taxi strike was in full force, we were happy to find the bus stop was right in front of this hotel and the subway station was within walking distance. Our room was very clean with crisp, pressed sheets on the bed. Our room on the 4th floor was quiet. Because of the taxi strike, we did not feel comfortable eating dinner in the city - we did not want to take the subway at night so we ate at the hotel. The food was ok, but we were thankful the hotel had a full restaurant for our convenience. We were disappointed to find the hotel computer/ printer was not functioning, so we were unable to print our boarding passes. The shuttle to the airport was on time and efficient. This hotel was perfect for our needs and I would rate this hotel a B+. I would recommend this hotel.

This is not a place to stay in Barcelona if you decide to visit as a tourist, it is more a business hotel- to stay for couple nights. It clean but nothing excessive, very average. But we were impressed with service provided by Manuel Fernandez; he is definitely makes improves the image of the hotel.

We decided to avoid staying in the city of Barcelona on our last night of the trip. We arrived back in Barcelona late Saturday afternoon and were leaving mid day on Sunday. We booked the best western Alfa as it looked clean and had a restaurant we could eat at. We did also pay extra for breakfast which was totally worth it. The shuttle was in an awkward spot at Terminal 1 but we managed to find it after asking at the tourism desk. The shuttle area isn't marked very well but if you stand and wait, the bus is labelled well enough to know. When we arrived the check in was quick and simple. I would recommend letting them know your departure time to ensure you know what shuttle to get when you leave. The room was very clean and updated and the beds were comfortable. There is a little market downstairs where we bought snacks to tide us over until dinner. My personal feeling was the dinner was a bit expensive for what you got. However, I didn't really care as it was one night and there isn't much around to choose from. The breakfast was so worth it. Hot and cold foods, mimosas, cold water and coffee. If you are looking to get into the city then this would be a hike. However it is possible and I'm sure if you wanted to spend the money you could take a taxi in (hopefully they are not striking). Overall a great and painless way to spend our last evening.

We had to stay at this hotel in Barcelona the night before our departure back home. The hotel has a shuttle service which is convenient. The mattress of the beds in our room were hard and uncomfortable. We would not consider this as a 4 star hotel. We give it a 3 star. We would not stay at this hotel again.

I booked this hotel via BYHOURS as we had an 8 hour stopover in Barcelona. They offer 2 options - a 3 or 6 hour block. I picked the 6 hour option, beginning at 8am. I had a really good first impression because I had initially booked for the wrong day due to some problems with my browser loading properly. They let me change the date with no extra charge and minimum fuss. However, I was sorely disappointed when I got to the hotel. We arrived at 9.20am (couldn't find the free shuttle)and were told that we had to wait till 10am, usual check in time. I find this unacceptable. If we are allowed to pick an arrival time and it's only for a maximum of 6 hour stay, we should be able to get in the room at the chosen time. Moreover, they advertise that they have a free hotel shuttle but neglect to let you know where to find it at the airport. After 18 hours on a plane, traipsing around Barcelona airport fruitlessly for an hour is not great for one's mood. Until they are really a hotel you can book by the hour, I would give this place wide berth.

As this hotel is located in an industrialized zone, away from the center of Barcelona, and close enough to the airport, it is more of a transient hotel where red-eye passengers and crew stay, than a charming place. This being given, we still hoped to get a good room and a good night sleep and requested a quiet room on a higher floor: We were, however, given a room on the first floor facing the busy road! As we asked for a change: we were first shown a room in the back on a higher floor, which unfortunately had a strong sulfur smell coming from the bathroom. We then were shown another room, without any bad smell, but with a broken window... Too tired to continue, we put up with the smelly room, hoping the smell would subside with the window opened which it did (the bathroom glass door doesnt close totally as it is a sliding door) The internal pool is on the small side, and a bit cavernous but the restaurant is nice . There is also parking, short and long term, which costs about 6 euros per day. The best point is the free shuttle to the airport, which you have to reserve the night before.

This is a very good hotel to stay in. It is near the airport and they do provide airport shuttle service. I really like the three front desk clerks that checked us in and provided me with information concerning how to get to center city Barcelona. The three ladies were all professional, friendly and courteous. I appreciate all that they explain to me in English because my Spanish is not good at all. The rooms are nice and the bathroom is great. Good design. They have a very good buffet breakfast with champagne if you like. Dinner is very good as well and the service is great. If you are interested in getting to ride the Hop-on Hop-off bus in the center city; you can purchase your tickets at the front desk. you have three ways to get there; by city bus, taxi, or the metro. The bus stop is right near the hotel as well as the metro line. There is not much to go to that is in walking distance of the hotel. Like a Tapas. There are warehouses near by and I think it will be locked up for passage of cars and people at certain times. We all had a wonderful two nights stay and we appreciate their service!!

Perfect service and very friendly team. The facilities of the hotel are good specially if you are in transit. Very convenient! Free shuttle to the airport that is a plus. The breakfast is good and well served.

We were a group of 29 who checked in around 7pm and had to catch our flight the next morning at 7am. Hotel made last minute arrangement at check-in to order an airport shuttle big enough for the group (their normal shuttle sits only 13). Morning of flight, we forgot one of the bags in the lobby and the hotel staff brought it to us at the airport. They swiftly responded and really saved us a headache. We truly appreciated the service rendered. We got to enjoy the restaurant and the pool that night. We were able to use the computer and printer for all our travel details. The restaurant did not disappoint; I had a delicious bacon and brie sandwich and the cocktails were good. Great staff and excellent service. Thanks to the staff for taking great care of our family!!!

The rate was ok,but the services were not as it should be. Rooms are ok.The cleaning system must be reviewed.The location was ok and not complicated. Well you get what you pay.For one or two nights it is not a bad option but not the best.

Convenient, modern hotel near Barcelona El Prat airport. Though the distance from the terminal to the shuttle bus is long, it is a few minutes (complimentary) shuttle ride from the airport to the hotel. Staff/management are friendly & go out of their way to be helpful. Please be advised the elevator is ridiculously small and it was not possible to get a small travel wheelchair into the elevator with the foot rests on! We had to take separate elevators for my husband & his wheelchair & me with our luggage. Once we got past the elevator experience, we arrived to find the room contemporary & comfortable. The restaurant/bar was nicely decorated and busy. We both really enjoyed our dinner. Our server was terrific and food delicious. We chose the 3 course prix fixe menu with salmon salad, local fish and flan with wine. If it had not been for the elevator and shuttle issues, I would have rated this property excellent based on the level of service provided....

My husband and I stayed here when we had a very early morning arrival in Barcelona (2:00 am!). The staff was wonderful in helping us make our reservation. Upon our very late check in they were ready for us, and check in was smooth and easy. I speak intermediate level Spanish but the staff communicated with us in fluent English. The room was clean, updated and comfortable and the WiFi was great too. We appreciated the little amenities in the room like the soap. In the morning was enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant. The breakfast was a little expensive for being a pretty basic continental breakfast but we appreciated the convenience. Also, the price of the breakfast includes Champaign. Finally, we used the airport shuttle which was right on time. Again, staff was courteous and helpful. Overall we could not have asked for more for the price. The hotel also had some cool amenities which we did not use like a bike rental. Definitely would recommend!

This was an excellent location for the early morning flight because it's close to the airport with free shuttle. They have a restaurant onsite and snacks available including pizza, sandwiches and drinks until 1:30am At the bar. The staff was extremely helpful & always smiling we had a very early morning flight out Manuel Fernandez was super helpful made our morning a breeze. We will see you again one day.

On our way home from Barcelona, our flight had technical issues and we were put up at Hotel Alfa by United Airlines. The complimentary airport shuttle from the airport was a nightmare of a wait (we stood on the curb with 10 other guests for over an hour...apparently the shuttle runs every 15 minutes?) BUT on your way back to the airport they schedule your pick-up time and they were spot on and even a tad early. The on-site restaurant service was great! The waiter and his assistant were so friendly and nice and the food came out promptly and steaming hot. Another highlight of the hotel was the front desk staff, both ladies we interacted with were, again, very nice and helpful. The room was basic and a bit on the small side. 2 double beds weren't quite what my husband and I were hoping for, but learning this was more of a transient hotel where red-eye passengers and crew stay, it made sense to have double beds over queen beds in the rooms. The bathroom had been recently renovated with a nice shower and good water pressure. Overall, we would not choose to stay here, but given the circumstances, it did the job just fine.

Stayed here while in transit for 12 hours. The bus picked us up on time (I had called the hotel while waiting for my luggage in the airport to confirm). 10 minutes drive to the hotel. The room is modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel itself is also very nice. We eat at the bar which was a little on the expensive side. All in all, I'd recommend this hotel for its location (to the airport) and comfortable rooms.

Place is better than the outside suggests. Rooms are clean without your typical “lack of maintenance” deficiencies. Front desk staff are quick, knowledgeable and to the point. Food/drink not cheap though, I'd say that's my only negative.

I missed my flight and it was convenient to spend the night over there. The staff is friendly. Room was very basic but not bad. Breakfast and food in general is fine. Prices are more reasonable in comparison to other hotels near the airport.

My daughter, granddaughter & myself stayed at the Best Western Aeroporto Alfa Hotel recently on a short stopover. While it seems like the hotel is not very close to the airport, it isn't far. We arrived about 4 a.m. & thanks to the efficient front desk staff were settled in very quickly. The hotel lobby is very nice, the restaurant serves very good food with helpful & friendly waitstaff. The elevators are quite small compared to American standards. We caught an Uber to downtown for $25, but a cab back from the same spot was only $17. Barcelona just may be one of those places where Uber isn't a bargain.

We reached the hotel at 6.30 a.m . The Gentleman at the reception was really helpful. We were requested to take our breakfast in the meantime.He gave us our room by 7.30 a.m , inspite of the check-in being at 12.00 p.m. This hotel has an option of early check-in and late check-out. He also helped us with planning our day out. The rooms were clean and the service was excellent. It's very close to the airport and they have free shuttle service which is on time. However, it is not close to the city. It's good for travellers having an early flight.

Make no mistake, the hotel is located in a commercial area with a free shuttle to the Airport. However there is a Metro station within walking distance that can get you to downtown Barcelona without any traffic to worry about. The hotel facilities may need some refreshing but the staff is excellent. It is recommended!

About 15 minutes drive from airport with a free shuttle for all but the early morning hours. Nice hotel with an excellent restaurant. But access into central Barcelona is about 25 minutes by taxi and there are no restaurants or shopping within easy access. As an overnight airport hotel it is an excellent choice.

I left my glasses in a room. The staff here, especially Esther Montero, moved heaven and earth to get them back to me. When the shipper lost the package, Esther held them accountable and made them pay me for a replacement pair. I cannot speak highly enough of that service! Truly wonderful and a well-deserved five stars.

It was a good place to stay overnight. Their is a restaurant and pool. Unlike Best Westerns in the states the breakfast is not free. The food in the restaurant is good but a bit over priced especially for Spain. Make sure you find out where their airport shuttle picks up at the airport.

I selected this hotel to stay at because it had an airport shuttle and was not too far from town. We only had a couple of days in Barcelona before picking up a cruise ship in the port. We got in late but the shuttle came and picked us up. Note that the shuttle picks you up in front of terminal 1 where the it's marked hotel shuttle pickup. Terminal 2 has no such area, I had to call the hotel a couple of times to get it figured out. When we arrived at the hotel we were lucky the small restaurant/bar was still taking food orders otherwise we wouldn't have been able to eat dinner since this hotel is not near any restaurants (but they do put on a great breakfast). We used the bus to take us into town (M21 just outside the hotel), it dropped us off down near the harbor where we picked up the Hop on Hop off bus. We also used Uber to take us from downtown to the hotel and to the cruise port. Note do not expect downtown bus services to be running on May 1st (their labor day). We were stranded downtown on May 1st because of all the labor rallies and demonstrations. We had to walk outside the area and get an Uber to get back to the hotel. Heating and cooling of these rooms are done by season. Our room temperature could not be regulated since they don't turn on the AC until May and heating is done via the buildings heating so you can't turn on the heat. One last thing thermostat is in Spanish, and so are the TV channels. The hotel is comfortable, but the amenities in the room are sparse and the hotel clerks are friendly and helpful.

My sister and I recently stayed at your hotel and flying in late from the UK. Was super easy to catch the free shuttle from the airport and on arrival all staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms were great and really enjoyed the late check out as well as the sauna. Would definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in Spain

The room, the food, the drink -- indeed the total experience -- is one we cherish during our stay, and one we look forward to with great anticipation as we plan our next visit. Already, we have set the date for our return. We have traveled much, over the years, and have found that this hotel sets the standard for excellence which we so rarely experience as we make our way around the world.

We were initially looking at Air Rooms at the airport for a couple of hours rest and a place to shower before we go on our 16hr flight home but there wasn't much info online on Air Rooms about early check-in (930am for us as we had to get off the cruise ship) and it seems more expensive. Chanced upon this hotel as we expanded our search to airport hotels; what made us choose this hotel: 1. complimentary shuttle to airport so we only need to pay for the €25 taxi fr cruise terminal to hotel as compared to staying in a city center hotel 2. Economical Room rate as in actual fact we will be using the room less than 6hrs 3. Check-in time indicated on Agoda is 8am which is perfect for us. It would have been pointless if we can't do a morning check in as our flight is 630pm same day. Even though we indicated 2 guests, we got a room with an extra rollaway bed. Room has TV with English channels, kettle for hot water, comfortable beds, free wifi and a decent size bathroom. Our room is on L1, we can hear cars whizz by but the roads are generally quiet on a Sat, so everything is perfect for us. Would recommend this to anyone who has a relatively same day late flight after their cruise. I can't imagine hanging out at the Barcelona airport since morning whilst waiting for an evening flight especially if home is a long way.

I flew into Barcelona on a Sunday night and landed around midnight. My flight back to the US was scheduled at 11AM the following day and in an effort to save money I thought it would be best to sleep at the airport. When I landed I was so exhausted and tried to sleep at the airport but with all of my stuff it was so stressful. I called numerous hotels near the airport that offered shuttle service but all claimed to be fully booked. On a whim, at 2AM I called the Best Western which is 10-15 minutes from the airport. I spoke to a very kind young man who told me there was one available room left. I took it immediately and took a taxi from the BCN airport to the Best Western where the young man very kindly and with a big smile helped me secure a suite for 70 euros that night. The room was so comfortable, clean, and had all new amenities. The next morning, I took the 8:30AM shuttle directly from the hotel to the airport. Thank you so much to the gentleman who took pity on me at 2AM in the morning and offered me a great deal on a wonderful room!

The hotel is about 5km from the airport of Barcelona and provides free shuttle services to both terminals and also both ways. The hotel's interior is tastefull decorated and it offers all amenities. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. There was a little 24h-minimarket next to the reception and the restaurant offered Spanish fare (e.g. tapas) but also hearty international snacks (pizza, burger). The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed staying here!

You get a complementary airport transfers by shuttle service from the hotel. If you inform the hotel in advance, they can tell you how to take their shuttle from Barcelona airport. The hotel is located in a very secluded place and there is nothing in and around except some industrial warehouses. The property is neat and clean, depending on what negotiation you have done, you get the complementary breakfast, which is very basic. The hotel rooms are average sized, hotel has a hot water swimming pool, which is nice to relax. The Subway station is 10 mins walk to travel to various tourist spots of the city. The bus stop is right next to the hotel. The advantage is the location due to good connectivity from the city and airport

This Best Western is absolutely great.After checking in we received complimentary Champagne, We enjoyed it on the patio. The room was great, modern and spacious, as well as the bathroom. We had an excellent dinner in the dining room. In the morning we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast including Champagne. The hotel has free shuttle service to and from airport Very convenient. We certainly will stay there on our next trip to Barcelona.

I used this hotel just to stay one night as it was my business trip to Barcelona and my flight back was quite early morning. In order to avoid traffic jam I have chosen this option. So I drop into late evening and stuff was helpful...they arranged my shuttle to the airport which is nearby. Room had plenty of space, everything was in order, bathroom better than expected. So if you have short business trip and early flight back this is a perfect choice (at least you'll be able to sleep a bit longer).

We stopped here on our way for an 11 day cruise and again on our way home. It was the beginning of our trip in Europe and we were very impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the room was clean and comfortable. It was the best place we stayed in the 16 days in Europe.

I arrived at 4 a.m. in Barcelona's airport. The transfer to the hotel was very short by taxi and the chicken at that late in the night took almost no time. They found my name right away and off we go to the room. Very convenient indeed. As I woke up late I missed breakfast so I can't have an opinion on that field. The staff was indeed very helpful, they paid for our cab back to the airport -where we were taking the next plane- since we didn't fit in the shuttle bus. Everything very clean and decent as one would expect. I will indeed repeat in this hotel next time I have a stopover at Barcelona.

This Best Western was truly outstanding. The room was absolutely great, bright and modern. We enjoyed a glassful champagne, courtesy of the hotel. We had a wonderful dinner, and breakfast was outstanding.

Flying into BCN at midnight and out the next day at 5am, I needed a place close to the airport with a bed for 4 hours sleep. Found this hotel on internet, best price, gave it a try and hit the jackpot! They allowed me to leave a suitcase for four days to pick up upon return, knew my name at entrance and were friendly and efficient. The reception person said, "Only four hours? You won't get to enjoy the executive suite for very long." I thought he was joking, but for some reason, they gave me the executive suite! On my return, they knew who I was, and of course the shuttle was free to come back and pick up my suitcase. So that was four bus shuttle trips, one-night stay in executive suite, 4 days total of holding my suitcase, all for 63€. Nice going, staff. You get my vote for best service ever for my traveling needs.

We came to Barcelona for the first time and were extremely happy with our stay here . From the beginning Daniel in the front desk showed superior hospitality , he was willing to help us in any way, and was happy to answer the many questions we had about Barcelona . The first impression and the rest of our stay was fantastic . All the staff was great . They all help us with transportation arrangements to France by train , making everything much easier for us . I would easily recommend this hotel for any one going into the Barcelona . It's close to the airport and and it was just a few minutes in taxi into the center of the city. Rooms were great . Free shuttle service was also superb . I will definitely come back here if we come back to Barcelona . Great first impression for sure !

Hotel was clean and beautiful. The staff was both accommodating and friendly.They served an excellent buffet breakfast and had gluten free options on hand. A bus stop outside of the hotel was a short ride from popular local spots.

Good quality accommodation, reasonably priced.Restaurant was nice, their Whisky Sour is very potent!! (good if you want to embarrass your children,,haha) It was quite far from downtown (20mins by bus) and the pool was not that great.

I missed my flight home and had to boom somewhere close and affordable... Firstly I was surprised to find a free shuttle bus. It ran every 45 mins and was on time. On check in the staff literally could it be more helpful. All information provided, an adaptor for my phone and a complimentary glass of fizz! As I was hungry and tired I went straight to the restaurant. As it is an airport hotel I was expecting microwave standard food or frozen pizzas.... big mistake! The food was fresh and really tasty.. waiter incredibly attentive and friendly. The room was a single but it had a large single bed.. I have stayed in doubles with beds of a similar size. Room was a little cold but soon warmed up. Plant of tv channels and you can change the language to English on USA or UK programs. Breakfast is standard and Apple however the cooked items were all cold, shame. Also the bar has a cocktail list but the staff don't know how to make them.. I had a big glass of alcohol! Not great. Overall the staff are excellent, food is really good, facilities are fine bed comfortable. I would 100% use this place for any stopover in Barcelona in the future.

I was coming back from outside Barcelona on Saturday and flying out early Sunday. By U.S. standards the price was low and everything worked out even though this hotel is pretty far from town and a long drive from the airport. (Everything is . . . the airport is really out of the way in this city, but well connected to center of Barcelona, especially convenient by aerobus). The property is decent - modern construction, clean and new. and, I noticed an odor when I came in, but after smelling it later outside it was clear that it is the surrounding area -- maybe industry, maybe the river. A highlight of my stay was a sun-rise jog along a nice path beside the Llobregat. (The hotel rents bikes for this purpose, too, by the way.) Despite making the most of their odd location, this hotel is in the middle of absolutely nowhere. I did figure out the #21 bus from near the Parallel stop, but it was a long, long ride. There is actually no traffic on the route, and a bit of cool scenery (huge port from a distance, Montjuic cemetery). This is not the place for a long st multi-night stay. For a quiet night before or after the airport, it's an option. The shuttle was efficient, there is even an indoor pool and sauna tucked in the back, and also a bar/lounge that came alive at about 1 am. (I heard it from my room which was right near the bar . . . not insanely loud but perhaps ask about it when you check in, and check it out because it sounded fun.) The clientele at the hotel seemed pretty mixed in age, nationality. I guess everyone needs to get to the airport on time. And the free shuttle was fine for that.

Nice Hotel, near Airport by taxi or by Airport bus. Only 10-15 minutes distance. Nice and clean - quiet rooms with clean bathroom and shower. Restaurant and breakfast very good and pricelevel is acceptable.

Unfortunately my last night in Barcelona was the worst. I stayed in one of the best hotels and then I stayed in one of the worst – across all my travels! The issues: After spending nearly an hour taking the train from the city to the airport, it was another hour before I got to the hotel. I waited over 40 minutes for the shuttle to come. By the time we stopped at another terminal and made the ride to the hotel, at least an hour had passed. I saw at least 2 other hotel shuttles – Tryp and Barcelona Airport Hotel – twice before the BW shuttle showed up. The driver made no attempt to help with my bag. My check-in was a bit longer than I'd like but with eventually 3 staffers behind the desk, only one was checking in the guests. Reactive versus proactive assistance. I asked about shuttle service for the morning. The front desk representative seemed surprised I needed a shuttle, as if I didn't just get off one to get to the hotel. It would have been nice if he asked as part of check in and told me I needed to sign up. Second, I got to the room and remembered I needed an adapter. I went back to the front desk, only to learn they didn't have what I needed – despite advertisement of having adapters if needed. They had an adapter for USB but that meant they didn't have what I needed to charge my computer. Thirdly, I found my room to be cold. After playing with the thermostat which was in Spanish and I only speak a little, I called to the front desk to learn they had to control it from the front desk and then I could adjust. That helped but when I tried to make it warmer, I couldn't. And finally, I had to call the front desk to get the wifi password. Imagine if all these things were supplied or info shared at check in, how much time I and they could have saved. Other challenges: Could not find one English speaking channel – not even the BBC or other kind of news. The shower and heat seemed to be motion activated. The shower water had some warmth but didn't seem to get to the temp I really wanted until I got in. The shower floor was slanted and slippery. The same was true for the heat in the room. It seemed to kick “on” when I started moving in the room. The hallway carpet was stained and dirty. On the positive, the front desk rep and driver the next morning were pleasant. Unfortunately, by then, I was DONE with this hotel and ready to start my journey home. I would never stay at this hotel again, even for one night before an early flight the next morning.

If you want to sleep and rest, this hotel is not for you. Isolation is crap - you will spend your night delighted by next door neighbor's talking (I guess why French neighbors spent all night talking or singing), showering, watching TV et all. If neighbors get some sleep, you may still listen to front door cars, buses and people talking outside, and also cars passing by the street in front (as it is close to Mercabarna, cars and trucks never stop passing by). Therefore, will never pay a penny at this hotel I f your mission is getting some rest

Stayed here for one night only as it suited us for onward connections to the airport and to the terminal port as well. Parking is easy (€9) but what made this hotel extra nice was the fantastic front of house gentleman who checked us in on 28/12. Really friendly and approachable and very helpful with our small dog. Because they were so lovely and friendly we decided to stay for dinner and that was also great, it made 24 hours in Barcelona very easy! I had fairly standard expectations so this place exceeded them, really clean comfortable rooms, Nice bit of landscaping outside (however it is on a very busy motorway, but you get that when you stay somewhere to be close to an airport) Great work!

We stayed 4 nights in all - 1 night and then 3 nights a week later - Room was spotless, staff in all areas were lovely and very helpful - Rides to and from Airport were great - even at 5am Christmas Day -Food in bar and restaurant very nice - Sharron

When you travel you need to find the place that makes you feel at home. Hotel Alfa does this for me. I enjoy their warm greetings and friendly smile. I appreciate how they make you feel. It was happy they remembered I have stayed there before. Hotel Alfa has Shuttle service to/from the airport and the bus station is right outside their door. The train station is about a five minute walk and easy to get around on. If you are going to Barcelona give Best Western Hotel Alfa a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

The staff was so friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was great. I splurged and had a nice meal downstairs. The food was extremely good and service fantastic. I can't say enough nice things.

Booked 2 rooms for a week end of February/beginning of March 2018. Got an email saying my reservations were cancelled due to invalid cc.NO WAY, went online as they directed to put in a NEW cc, they said that was invalid too????? The hotel said they tried to do a "pre-authorization charge" for ENTIRE AMOUNT and said both cards were invalid. They automatically cancelled my reservations. I called both credit card companies, they said there had been no activity at all and I had the funds available. I went back on the hotel site and they had jacked up the nightly rate to $1600.00 per night. They just didn't want my reservation for $500 per night. When I called them back, they said they were "sold out". But I saw the new exorbitant rate - rooms WERE AVAILABLE FOR THAT RATE. Too shady and I wouldn't want to stay there now anyway.

Chose this hotel because I had a morning flight. It served its purpose. Beyond that, it is pretty ordinary and is nowhere near anything that a visitor to Barcelona would want to see. I had stayed at a hotel in the Barri Gotic that was only slightly more expensive but infinitely nicer. The only thing I real DISliked about this hotel is that, on a very windy night, the windows didn't have a full seal. As a result, there was a whistle/whine all night long. Not helpful for a good night's sleep!

Was on a Delta flight that was canceled from Barcelona to JFK. Delta had 2 properties to put us in, and this property was "supposedly" the nicer of the the two. Well I can only imagine what the other place is like. This property is rated a 4 star property, no clue how. Upon checking in, I asked for a king/queen bed for one person. They said that they typically do not do that. Well, when I got to the room on the 3rd floor the room was hot and very stagnet. I tried to turn on the AC, did not turn on. I went back to the front desk and they said they would send the maintenance guy. He arrived and said nothing was wrong, even though there was no air floor. The front desk offered to move me. Now they placed me on the 4th floor. Same issues, called down to advise. They seemed so confused. The front desk agent said they they have to turn it on at the front desk. If I could called Delta to move hotel, I would have, but there was 2 hour hold time. After having a wonderful 12 days in a 5 star resort, this is how Delta ended my vacation. So I decided to suck it up and shower and go to sleep and just get home. Well then, more issues, absolutely no water pressure and the hottest the water would get was luke warm. I certainly was not going to call the front desktop again, that literally gets you now where. So to sum up this review, if you are desperate and need a basic room with absolutely no frills near the airport, this is the place. Otherwise, there are several more guest centered properties in Barcelona.

We stayed one night in the Best Western Plus Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto-- the night before we left Barcelona to fly home. I was impressed in every way--customer service, amenities and food as well as cleanliness and decor. A very comfortable stay! We are a family of four. Since each room has two twin beds, we had to reserve two rooms, but it was well worth it!

I don't think anyone expects five-star service at Best Western. If your goal is to have room for a night, to sleep well, have hearty breakfast and to take a hot shower, it's fine. I just wish they had better quality shampoo, conditioner, and a body wash. Our hand soap dispenser ran out the next day, they didn't have toothbrush nor toothpaste, water was no complementary. There was instant coffee but just one.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at... were given 3 room keys before getting room that was serviceable... one was flooded from water streaming from ceiling above, and one smelled as if there was a dead animal inside; restaurant is terrible; fuse blown as we were getting ready to check out... no lights, no elevator, pitch black for 30-minutes as we are scrambling to catch a plane; place is old, run-down and filthy dirty... I could go on but these are the primary low-lights

Good clean hotel with friendly staff and an adequate restaurant, but isolated location; the free airport shuttle does not run 24-hours, and for early flights an expensive taxi is the only option to the airport

Very clean, fashionable room and comfortable beds. The room has enough storage places and almost feels like home. The bathroom is spacious and nicely designed. The breakfast offers MANY kinds of food - English breakfast, many sweets, pastries, fresh fruits, salads, ham, cheese, many kinds of bread and a very good coffee. They offer you shoe polish, bath sponge and dry tissues for free. They also have a minibar in the room. The receptionists were very friendly and professional. We came earlier and we had our room in a minute.The bus station is in front of the hotel and if you ask any driver they will announce you when you arrive there. They also offer you a free shuttle to the airport. The lady who took us to the airport is very very kind. Thank you for everything. I had a wonderful stay!

Excellent lunch and dinner was great ! Very low price for stay , free full breakfast and shuttle to airport ! Breakfast buffet was like being on a cruise ship but with better food ! Only thing missing was a shuttle service from Cruise Port to Hotel !

The food is fresh, flavorful and reasonably priced. Cappuccino was very good and unlike Cruise ship did come with biscotti and chocolate. Lunch sandwiches were large and full ham and cheese toasted and tuna on banquette both good. Reasonably priced glass of red wine. Dinner, ah, fresh warm bread excellent. salt cod was best I ever had. Gazpacho was delicious. Octopus was tender large portion, very flavorful well seasoned . Fresh fruit for dessert. I would never have expected such wonderful entrees at hotel restaurant .

Although the name is a bit misleading...it's a few miles from the airport...this modern hotel does have free shuttle service to the airport, a business station in the lobby with a computer and printer and a charming outdoor terrace attached to the restaurant and lounge. Rooms were small but had everything you could need from a minibar and coffee station to hairdryers and bath amenities. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. But the big surprise here was the food...from excellent sandwiches at lunch to the best veal chop I've ever had, this hotel eatery delivered! This is a good choice if you have a late-arriving or early-departing flight.

Stayed in this hotel for a night. Arrived late at night for an early morning flight. No-one there to help with the luggage, place smells and the mattresses are I think from the 19th Century! The bathrooms have been upgraded but I think they forgot to change the mattress!!! Every time you turn, you wake up from the nice of the springs. Don't think would stay there again :(

A lovely Best Western Plus. Very modern. Great lounge and restaurant. Staff were awesome. Beds super comfortable. A little out of the way to get to but they have a free shuttle to and from the airport.

Only had short 8-hr stay from 1-9AM, but request for corner room on high floor was honoured (room 403) and beds/pillows very comfortable. Room overlooked busy road with traffic light junction so traffic noise was evident but we were too tired for it to be intrusive. Ultra modern bathroom had good powerful rain shower + separate showerhead, but 2 soap dispensers contained disappointing mousse. Toiletries comprise only a small sponge, comb, tissues, and shoeshine - does anyone use these things as I rarely see men with freshly polished shoes these days? Showergel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc., would be much handier bearing in mind restrictions on such items in hand luggage. Luckily, we had remnants of toothpaste tube with us so at least we could clean our teeth, but everything else was in our hold baggage which had been checked straight through from Malaga to Birmingham! Buffet breakfast contained a wide variety but hot options (sausages, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, etc.,) should be kept on hotplates instead of being lukewarm-cold, and bacon needed crisping up. Two types of fruit juice but peach juice was watered down with fizzy water whilst orange juice seemed fine. Hotel was chosen because of its proximity to airport and free airport shuttle that runs between 0530-0030hrs (every 30 or 45mins depending on hour), but be sure to book at Reception beforehand. Flight delay meant we missed it on arrival and had to pay €20 for taxi (minimum cost after midnight), so beware! Friendly, obliging staff.

A 15-minute one-way shuttle ride stretches the definition of an airport hotel. The shuttle is free, but as other reviewers have commented, finding the pickup point is challenging. Barcelona's Pret Airport has two terminals, and they are not close to one another. Outside Terminal 1, the hotel shuttle stops across the street in an area where vans park perpendicular to the curb. Outside Terminal 2, the van stops along the curb on the same side as the Terminal, between terminal building 2B and 2C. The stop is not marked. Walk right when leaving 2B and stop at the end of the curb before you would have to cross a driveway to reach 2C. The hotel served our purpose of an inexpensive place to spend the night between arriving at the airport one evening and leaving on an international flight the next morning. Dinner at the hotel was satisfactory. There are no other restaurants within walking distance. We paid for our room with Best Western points, and breakfast wasn't included. We bought juice and rolls from the small shop at the front desk. I don't think there's a quiet room in this hotel. It's in an industrial area, and the street in front is busy with truck traffic day and night. The rear is a parking lot, where semi-trucks were parked. As noted by another reviewer, their arriving, departing, and idling would be noisy. Our room faced the street. There are nicks in the paint in the corridors, where luggage and housekeeping carts have hit the walls. The color scheme is dark. The bathroom fixtures, while modern, are not new. The shower didn't work well. The design of the sink was such that it was impossible to close the drain. The water drained through a narrow slot, which was also impossible to clean. It made one wonder how sanitary it was. If you plan to go into Barcelona, a bus runs every half hour from near the front of the hotel. I can't guess how long it would take. But if you're going into Barcelona, you'd be better served to take the Aerobus directly from your airport terminal and stay in a hotel in the city. It arrives in downtown Barcelona (Placa de Catalunya) in 30-35 minutes. From there you can reach any part of the city via Metro. The positives about this hotel: The front desk staff members were friendly and helpful. There are walking and bicycling paths through a nearby marshy area to the coast. The hotel has bicycles to rent. For our limited need of an overnight stay without going into the city, the hotel served our purpose. For others, there are better alternatives.

This is a great Hotel for one or two nights stay if you need to be close to the airport. We found the hotel to be clean and the beds and pillows to be very comfortable. The free shuttle was great and saved us the $20 cab ride. The breakfast buffet was very good. I stayed at three different hotels on my trip and the breakfast buffet and dinner restaurant here we're by far the best. If you have dinner in the restaurant try the sliced veal. It was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. This hotel is airport convenient but quite a distance from the tourist activities.

This is a very comfortable hotel, close to the airport that has a free shuttle for guests. The staff are very helpful and it is possible to catch a bus into Barcelona and back without much difficulty. Very good

Located in an unattractive industrial setting. 20€ cab ride from airport. Shuttle was a no-show. We called the hotel several times to ask where it was but no one answered (or answered and immediately hung up.) We just needed a place to stay overnight in between flights. Room itself was ok, if tired, but hotel common areas were depressing. Bar was over-worked, curt to the point of rudeness. Limited food offerings. Even the grilled cheese and ham was tired. Grim stay. Could not wait to leave. Shuttle service back to airport in the morning was the most polite and helpful thing about the entire stay. Don't forget to reserve a place!

Very convenient to airport. Shuttle service was great. Look for the Alfa Best Western shuttle van. The logo is not he same as Best Westerns in the U.S. Hotel room was very nice but elevators seemed to work when they wanted to. I ate at the restaurant and the seafood soup was delicious and the steak was ok. Hotel is too far from the tourist areas but they do a great job providing maps and options to visit all the attractions. I just needed a place to catch my flight the next day and was very satisfied. I even left an item in my hotel room and the housekeeping ran down in time to get it to me before I jumped on the shuttle.

Just an ordinary airport hotel, but we found the reception area and room clean and pleasant, and the buffet style breakfast was very good indeed. Reception staff helpful. We used the shuttle bus to and from the airport - call the hotel when you arrive at the airport and they will advise you where to wait and approx how long you'll have to wait - in our case not long despite an 11pm arrival. You'll need to book your shuttle bus departure back to the airport in the morning also. By the way, it seemed usual practice to tip the driver - we weren't expecting this so she missed out as we had no change.

Room was beat up and definitely in need to renovation. Elevator sucks. Restaurant and breakfast buffet were more than adequate, however. Friendly staff. Convenient shuttle to the airport. Only reason to stay, close to airport.

The room was simple and clean. While there is a restaurant on the premises, the menu is VERY minimal. The do have a bar onsite, they have their own menu which is different than the restaurant but that too is minimal. In order to pay at the restaurant/bar you need to have euros so you must exchange at the front desk and then pay in euros for the meal. The hotel is clean and quiet but, the location is away from any sights. The location is in an industrial area and there were no local shops or any place to eat so you must either take a taxi, bus, or metro to get to these places. The airport shuttle was welcomed and ran like clockwork, so that's good.

The people who work here are the hotels big plus point. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant for the evening meal is very good with the breakfast being adequate. The room was awful though. It was not much larger than a prison cell. The desk was useless as a desk as it was taken up with a TV and a coffee tray/kettle etc.. There was no socket at the desk to plug my laptop into either so I had to unplug the kettle and move it out of the way to enable me to use the socket. The bed was on castors and every time I moved, it moved and the castors squeaked. The trim was peeling away from the edge of the shower cubicle and there was a window inside the shower cubicle. When sleeping I was woken each time someone in the room above decided to flush their toilet or have a shower as the noises from their ablutions were easy to hear. My room was situated at the end of the corridor next to the stairwell and I knew every time anyone came up the stairs - the walls must be paper thin. Though I commend the hotel for trying to keep the place clean, sweeping and vacuuming in the corridor at 10pm is not good for assisting my sleep either. I have to say I was very glad I brought my own pillow though as yet again the hotel pillows were those horribly annoying soft things that allow your head to sink into them. The thing that annoyed me the most was when I came to check-out. When I booked the hotel 8 weeks earlier, I paid in advance. Or at least I though that had happened. It was booked, payment requested, credit card details entered etc.. However at check-out they staff said the bill was still due. So I have had to pay again. Now I will have to speak with accounts and get them to trawl through CC statements to see if the original transaction did go through. All in all, nice staff, good food, horrible hotel and terrible booking procedure.

3 night stay with the personal advantage of being a 15 minute walk to my place of work. Staff very polite and extremely helpful. Comfortable clean room with all facilities expected. Restaurant has excellent choice for a short stay, you would have to stay over a week to consider the same thing twice. The value was exceptional for the 3 course set menu. Has a pool on the top floor but I didn't use it so can't rate. Not 5* hotel but above average for economy business travel.

Had a quick stop over at this hotel recently. Its about a 15 min drive from the airport on a large industrial site. Hotel is modern with a small indoor pool plus a bar and a restaurant. We had the A La Carte lunch deal 19.80 euros for 3 courses. They offer a free shuttle service back and fourth the airport which is good.

Hotel was ok. Far out the city but there's subways and bus nearby. Breakfast was nice and staff were nice too. The pool and gym was nice but it's kinda weird to walk at the lobby with your swimwear on especially when there are lot of people there. The other entrance for the pool was closed when we were there.

Stayed overnight for easy access to the airport, a little farther from the airport than I thought but nonetheless convenient. You would not want to be staying here as a tourist visiting Barcelona due to it's isolation. We used the shuttle bus to and from the airport, we only wish there was signage at the airport that indicated a list of buses that would have allowed us to know we were indeed waiting at the right place to catch the shuttle. Thankfully a kind local called the hotel for us to confirm pick up and that we were at the right location to wait for us since the pay phones in the airport would not accept our credit card. Upon arrival the staff was friendly and efficient, we were in our room extremely quickly for which we were grateful since it was so late and after a long journey with kids. The room was simple and modern and the bathroom was beautiful and spotless. The only criticism is that I found the floor quite dirty and as such dirt was tracked from our feet into the bed. The room was quiet overnight, we could hear a young baby next door at one point but not too loud. Departure was fast and convenient and the staff again were kind and warm.

The hotel was nicely situated close to the air port and one bus ride (no:21) to the center city and La Ramblas. The rooms were very comfortable. The service both at the check in and restaurant was very good. The front desk was very helpful with our questions with respect to directions getting around.

This place was so clean, the staff was very friendly, and the shuttle to the airport was very appreciated! The restaurant offered a great dinner, and my room was so comfy and quiet. There's no outdoor pool, but they did have an indoor one!

We chose this hotel for the last night stay in Barcelona during the trip. After a day-trip in the city, we picked up our luggage from the last hotel, then took a bus from the railway station. I am not sure if they still have the same line of bus to the airport direction, but the bus driver was nice enough to let us get off the bus just steps away from Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto. It is a typical airport hotel, quite close to the airport and provides free shuttle, so there is no worry on the traffic next morning for the early flight. Everything is to the standard, staff are friendly. One perk is this hotel has a pool and sauna, and not many people go there. We had a very good rest before heading home. One thing need to notice is that don't leave the hotel in the last minutes. The shuttle might not go directly to the departure terminal. One we took went around a long route to pick up a full load of migrant workers just arrived before getting to the departure. We were not in rush but we had to crawl over with our luggage to get off.

We stayed when visiting Barcelona overnight. The hotel has great facilities including a swimming pool and a free airport shuttle bus. Breakfast was also brilliant. The hotel is 25 mins from the centre of Barcelona but there is a bus stop outside the hotel that will take you to Las Ramblas for 2.15 Euros.

I arrive the hotel very late, with the help of very competent staff I was able to get to the room very fast. I was disappointed with the general aspect of the room specially the bathroom were doors and equipment in bad shape and falling apart. It's not worth the price we pay.

Not as close to the airport as it appears on the map. Requires a taxi ride of circa 20 mins. Hotel is basic and clean. Hotel is at the commercial port and there is nothing else near it. The AC didn't work in the room and very limited options to eat.

We had to stay overnight in the airport area and selected this hotel. We do not regret our choice as it was very convenient and fast to get here by a shuttle bus (free), hotel provided us with a room placing there an additional bed for our child. The service is good, efficient. The night was very quiet. The breakfast is very good too, lots of fruits, juices, and other options for kids. Overall, it was not very expensive.

It's a nice hotel but it's in such a dead area. All industrial and you're cut off from everything. The bus and metro are nearby but otherwise it's cut off. If you're in town just for the night and are headed to the airport the next morning then fine. During the night, we heard every factory and car on the road. We heard anybody talking loudly in he hotel and the beds squeak when we move. I personally won't stay here again unless it's for a flight out the next morning. Left the hotel with a headache. They have a pool and restaurant.

The pros: 1. Very clean and spacious rooms. 2. Close to the port of Barcelona. Perfect for beginning of cruise tour. 3. The food was tops. The cons: 1. Location is not the best. Seems to be in/around an industrial zone. 2. Again..the location was too far from airport and the city. It made touring difficult and expensive. Carry euros...I can't stress this enough. Dollars not widely accepted and if they do accept prepare to be ripped off with the exchange rate.(Not just at hotel) Overall, good, clean and decent hotel. Perfect for short stays(2 nights max) and business trips.

Stayed here after a flight was canceled. The staff spoke decent English. The beds were small but comfortable. Like most Spanish hotels, the king bed was two double beds pushed together. The complimentary airport shuttle is great, it runs every 30-45 minutes depending on time of day. Make reservations or else you may not get a seat. The indoor pool is very cold and does not have anywhere to sit. we had to stack our towels on the ground. Hotel bar and restaurant had good variety and good food.

I spent 12 hours here on a layover. It's a good option with the free airport shuttle every 30 minutes. Beat to contact hotel or read up on exact directions to get shuttle bus...2 terminals here and know where you need to go before arrival! The hotel is basic and in an industrial area. I do not recommend for anyone visiting for more than a day or if you want to visit the heart of Barcelona. But for a quick nights rest it was suitable. I did not use anything other than the room and shuttle. The room is simple and was comfy. The bathroom looks like a nice remodel recently but not the cleanest. No food anywhere nearby, but there is a small restaurant in the lobby.

I had a short stay in this hotel, which is placed in a industrial area, close to the airport. In general all the facilities were ok, but to be fair, as I paid 120€ for one night and 10€ to use the parking, I had the feeling that it was quite overpriced. For me the main point, that I consider really not good is the bathroom. The floor of the shower is very slippery, and you have a step to get out from the shower. The way is design, from my perspective is making easy to fall to the floor, and hurt a lot because you can easily hit with the step. There is no rail to get out from the shower, which is just unacceptable. The mixture of the surface (some sort of Slate, board) with the foam, the step, and the lack of any point of support to hold makes a very dangerous combination. I would really advise to have a look on this.

What ever you do God forbid you ask for ice! If you call room service get ready to pay for ice, I was told, and that's after two phone calls. Apparently your supposed to know which number on the phone you need to dial to get any department. There was nothing anywhere in the room giving any details. Went down to the restaurant to ask, and was promptly ignored. Naked guests running around the 4th floor,really. Very expensive cab ride every time you wanted to visit Barcelona. Tried the city bus, but is so far out of the way it only comes by every half hour. Buffet breakfast was mediocre at best. Also had to have our key redone three different times. Kept getting locked out of our room. Maybe for a business trip but as a tourist hotel find something closer.

First of all I should have done more due diligence on researching a hotel. The building and furniture we're good ! After that you are on your own !!! The hotel staff are very poorly trained and there is always a line at the front desk as they do not speak English, luckily my Spanish is pretty good. Two days here and so far no housekeeping service, apparently they are waiting on us to complete our 3 night stay, before they clean the room ! When asking for the ATM baxnk machine the Manager told me it was in the back, after searching for 20 minutes and bothering several employees as I searched I gave up and went back to the front desk and asked someone else. I was then told it was not in the hotel , but to go out the front door and in four minutes it would be on the t left and it would be on the street, It took 15 minutes and I found it ! I also found a plaza with many restraunts and stores , with a full breakfast or lunch for what you pay at this hotel for coffee and a crussient . Yea !! In conclusion a nice hotel run by a Very poorly trained staff and that includes the Manager. Only the girl cleaning downstairs in the lobby would make eye contact and greet you daily. All other employees made it seem as you were bothering them. I almost forgot the bartender in the evening , very rude and hung out with the six local police that were in the bar every evening drinking in uniform. So we bought our six packs of beer across the street at the gas station and drank in the hotel patio !!! We were sorry to bother the paid help !!!

Very nice hotel. Rooms were modern and bathroom was nice and clean. Front desk workers were friendly and spoke English well. Comfortable beds also. No wash cloth or hair conditioner, but that might not be the norm in Spain.

If you are looking for an hotel close to airport (15 - 20 min) than this is good enough. If you have a car than there is no problem. The city is easily to get to by car. The room is OK and the food is OK.

Very nice and clean room. Bathroom is very contemporary, love the full bath and shower. You will forget that you are in Europe. To add to the positive reviews, I used YELP To locate an excellent restaurant about a half mile away. Nice walk. La Moreneta has very patient staff (helped me figure out what I wanted). Our room had a fridge, which I made sure of when booking. Nice king bed, air conditioning. Just wish the restaurant in the building was open two hours earlier for every meal. I would recommend this hotel.

Every time I have to stay overnight in Barcelona I stay at this hotel. It is one of the best hotels that offer free shuttle to and from the airport. The hotel is clean, the staff is very attentive, have a decent bar and good restaurant. Do not stay at this hotel or another near the airport as a matter of fact if you wnat to go to the city for a stroll. They are far from the center and there is not good public transportation

I was very impressed by this hotel. It was clean and provided all the amenties of a 4 star has to offer. They also had a bus right in front that would take you to downtown to Plaza de Cataluna. The hotel provided free airport shuttle to and from the hotel. Which saves money. I will certainly plan another visit at this property again in the near future.

The staff was truly exceptional and the service great. The fitness center was absolutely pathetic and they would be better off without one. Stationary bike was terrible, step machine was very bad and weight unit was very poor as well. The breakfast was wonderful and a self service buffet. The room was ok with a sink that wouldn't drain properly. I should of took pictures of the fitness equipment as I'm sure Best Western would be appalled by the poor quality. Great staff and average or below average hotel.

This was a clean, modern hotel very close to the airport. The airport shuttle was quick and convenient. The metro station is a little difficult to get to from the hotel, including parts near the highway without sidewalks. However, it is only about a 10-15 minute walk. It was great that with our booking, wifi and breakfast were included. The breakfast was a good combination of typical breakfast food and local flavors! The only issue we had during the stay was that it was quite warm during the trip but the hotel did not have the air conditioning turned on for most of the hotel. We were not able to open the windows because they did not have screens, so it would allow bugs to get in. The staff was not very responsive to the problem but eventually moved us to a floor with air conditioning.

We had the complimentary airport pickup and have booked it for our return trip tomorrow. Female driver very professional and careful. Smooth checkin. Room quite modern, and clean. We loved the lunch in the dining room. White linen table cloths, complimentary champagne....lunch goes until 4 pm. We decided to have our big meal at 1:30 and we chose the prix fixe for 15 eruos. Even though the menu lists sausage for today (Wednesday), the waiter said we could chose the meals for Monday or Tuesday, but just not Thursday or Friday specials. Complimentary cheese croquettes and a bottle of water before the meal arrived. Plates were piping hot; my husband had the burger (with no bun included). It was accompanied by lots of fries and a nice green salad on the side. Mine was salmon steak which was tasty, but had bones. It came with grilled vegetables which were very tasty, and no potato which was fine with me. For dessert, I chose the chocolate volcano cake with lemon ice cream....just delicious!! Waiter and server very friendly and professional. We plan on having the buffet breakfast tomorrow morning.....it actually starts at 5:30 a.m., so if you had an early flight you could still enjoy it before leaving. I think it is around 9 euros. There is a very small pool, with nice warm water and a sauna to use. No chairs around the pool, but it is very small. I will test it out later!! It looks like a nice menu of tapas both hot and cold, and reasonably priced wine in the bar and lounge, which we will try later tonight.

This is an excellent hotel that is reasonably priced and fairly close to the airport in Barcelona. There is a complimentary shuttle to the airport that starts at 5AM, and that was perfect for us to make a 6:25AM flight with no difficulties. Upon arriving at BCN we learned that the shuttle makes a run to the airport every 30 minutes for pick up at the hotel shuttle lot, which is a bit of a walk from the airline check in counter. But for departures they drop you at the terminal, which is nice. Rooms are updated and comfortable with great showers, but other than foam soap there are no other bathroom amenities, so plan to bring shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. VERY nice front desk staff. Bus to downtown is 5min walk, 10min to subway. Subway is 24hour so you can stay out late on Las Ramblas and get back to hotel whenever.

Hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere in an industrial area, not close to the airport as their name might suggest. At checkin we had to wait too long before it was our turn and then the guy started telephoning. Bad impression on the very first day. The lifts are tiny, just 2 people with luggage will barely fit in, and I don't even mean overweight. Room not only had paper-thin walls, but there was apparently housekeeping working late at night AND early in the morning, every day, as we always met them in the hallway with their heavy equipment. They are really loud, like banging the beds agains the thin walls that make your head vibrate when you're in bed on the other side of the paper wall. In every other normal hotel you do this work at noon after checkout time, not when guests are sleeping!!! Room cleanliness was OK, but minibar fridge was really filthy. Bathroom was in good and clean condition. Good thing was that payment was after the stay, at checkout. The hotel's own free minibus airport transfer is a nice service, but the long drive shows you once again how far it actually is from the airport. Since 2016 you can take the metro L9 to Mercabarna Station and then walk to the hotel, but it's not too fast either.

I was able to get a great rate online ($56.71) which included all costs except the Barcelona room tax (1.15 Euros). Room was pleasant, if basic. Design: modern, cubist. Refrigerator. I didn't eat here except for purchasing a couple of snacks from the Mini-Mart adjacent to the check-in desk. Be aware, if you are a light sleeper that the hotel is isolated in an industrial/commercial zone. Truck traffic all night. Also, no nearby restaurants. Barcelona metro (Mercabama stop) is accessible, but it is about a 1/4 mile walk. Wifi was slowish, but not difficult to connect to. In the lobby they did have a computer for email, and printing boarding passes. Also a display showing outgoing international flights and their status. If you want to use the airport shuttle to the hotel, you must call and arrange in advance. No way at airport to contact (no courtesy phone). Sign up for the shuttle to the airport when you check in.

3 night stay - no problems at all. Clean & comfortable. Hotel staff excellent especially Mr Ruiz on reception who assisted us when the free computer/internet for on line flight reservations failed to work. Bus route 21 to central Barcelona every 30 minutes from just outside gate. Just remember to signal to driver that you wish to board as they will drive off without picking up if you don't Only used restaurant for buffet breakfast which was good with plenty of choice.

We booked here because of the shuttle only to find out that it would not be running during the time our flight check in required us. So we would have been better to stay in town at the hotel we had previously stayed at that was right on the N 17 bus line (which we were told runs all night ). Otherwise the hotel was fine though pricier than the nicer boutique hotel we were at downtown.

Walk away if you are trying to book this hotel. The hotel gave my Spanish trip a perfect the lowest point. I can't type how much I resent myself of staying here and wish how things could be all different. 1. No heating This hotel shut off central heater in march, regardless it's 50 or 40 degrees outside ( 8 or 6 C). If you feel cold, oh well, good luck, there is no heating for you. Please try to survive. Do they try to save money or just simply don't care about customers while it's 8 degrees outside with a pouring rain and no heat in that room. This is a pure hell. 2. No hot water I have to requested to change another room when my room simply just didn't have hot water. There was a warm water option, but not hot. The faucet was burning hot but the heat was not passing to the water. The housekeeper came and told me that's the temperature, if I leave it on, it will get warm. The reality is- Nope. It didn't get warm after 15 mins of wasting water. Oh well, did you just lie to me? Good job! 3. Shower is leaking water from the wall gap I don't know did the hotel mean to design the shower gate to be useless or the bathroom is mean to be a swimming pool. During the water wasting time ( see point 2 for reason), the water came out from the gab between the wall and Glassdoor, completely turn into bathroom to a little pound. Good luck for people who are easily to slip and fall, get a good lawyer. 4. Phone was down Yes, how did I found out? Well I try to communicate with front desk that there is no hot water, I realized that phone was already busy. I have to dress it up and go down to the front desk to request a explanation. 5. Service revenge call in the middle of the night After exchanged a room and showered with not hot water in the middle of the night, I finally was able to fall asleep at 2 am. And front desk called me at 5:30 am for a wake up call. First of all, I didn't order any wake up call, why the hell in the world you decide to call me in the middle of night unless you mistaken me with someone else which is not the case. I ordered to take shuttle at 5:30 pm. I looked at shuttle sheet, it was at the bottom of the registration based on timeline of the day. There is no way they could mistake a pm with a am. The simple explanation is this is a revenge for demanding hot shower. This is a hotel with pure hell experiences. I would not recommend anyone who try to get a good night sleep here. Cause you will suffer and you will end up having a horrible headache just like mine!!!!!

Found this through Trip Advisor and it the reviews justified its selection. Easy to catch the hotel shuttle bus from either Terminal 1 or 2. The wait, though, can be up to 30-40 minutes depending on when you land and get to the shuttle bus area. Once arrived, the check in was easy and flawless. Rooms were ready ahead of normal check in time and the staff was more than happy to accommodate our needs. Rooms spacious for European Standards and well appointed. Housekeeping flawless and quick. Hotel Staff recommended taking the local bus to Las Ramblas, which turned out to be both a bargain and very efficient. Bus leaves every 20 minutes. Return bus equally easy to catch, and the drivers are often bi-lingual and helpful to warn you of the drop off kiosk near the hotel. Breakfast very well stocked and varied. Typical higher end buffet style breakfast with fruit, cereal, hot beverages; cold cuts; eggs; bacon; ham; sausages of various types and from different countries. Coffee exceptional. Dining Wait staff very good. Decor very relaxing and easy on the mind.

We were able to check in before time and get started with seeing the city and they were nice enough to show us how to catch a public bus and where to get off at to see the city of Barcelona. We loved the free shuttle to the airport from here.

We recently stayed in this hotel. I don't really know how they have 4 stars. First of all they offered free transfer which was the main reason for us to book it. Of course our plane was delayed and we wasn't sure we can make the bus so as soon as we landed we called them up. They said they can't wait for us and we need to get a taxi. Probably that is fair enough. But when you are abroad you just want to make sure you are not in some greedy can drivers' hands. Anyway we arrived at about 1 am. Still queue for check in. The room was really minimal and not too clean. We booked a double room and got a twin. But the real problem was the lack of soundproofing on the floor we stayed and that early in the morning the other guests were shouting and the chambermaids were hoovering. So we didn't have much sleep. We decided to have breakfast at 10 (it is available till 11). By the time we got there barely anything was available. We asked the waitress she said "it finished". All in all for a 1 night stay maybe, but probably it is worth to take a taxi or aerobus and go to a proper hotel in the centre of Barcelona.

We spent just one more night in Barcelona and needed to be by the airport. After a lengthy search, we selected Hotel Alfa for its airport shuttle (saving almost 25 Euros), proximity to the airport and on site restaurant. Not realizing we needed to schedule the shuttle to pick us up (in the states, am used to just having them on a loop), we grabbed a cab for the quick ride. We were met by a very friendly staff. Our first room, while nice, was far too hot (no AC). They were extremely accommodating and moved us to a cooler floor, which was most appreciated. Rooms are small but do the trick- great modern bathrooms too. The restaurant was definitely well-deserved of it's accolades but I wish they opened prior to 8pm. I understand dinners start later in Spain but given the dinner took nearly two hours and we had an early flight, it would have been nice for even a 7pm opening. Breakfast in the AM was most impressive- one of the best I've seen to date. All in all, would stay again if I need a hotel close to Barcelona airport.

We needed an overnight hotel prior to our cruise and we found Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto. We called the hotel for the shuttle upon our arrival at the airport and it soon arrived to pickup us and our mountain of luggage. The tall palm trees that welcomed us as we arrived gave us that "on vacation feeling". The front desk staff was courteous and efficient. As we stood at the desk we noticed a pitcher full of ice water and lime slices to welcome guests ~ totally refreshing. The lobby was very clean and shiny with glass, stone, and chrome decor. The lounging area had chairs and sofas (not sink in cushy, but easy to get out of comfortable) which made a nice area to wait for other members of a group. The elevators were small ~ it held me and 2 large suitcases. My husband and son took the second one with their luggage. Our room was efficiently designed, not huge but adequate for us to comfortably move around. The twin beds were pushed together to form a king with the sheets tucked in to form the twins ~ great since it prevented by cover loving husband from uncovering me. The mattress was firm but unbelievably comfortable as were the pillows and the big body pillow. There was a mini frig and coffee maker in the room. The closet area had shelves on one side from floor to ceiling. The shelving area containeed extra bedding and a room safe. The bathroom was small by some standards but wonderfully arranged to seem spacious and was also decorated in glass, stone, and chrome. The shower had a wonderful rain head. A tray on the counter held a bathing sponge, shoe shine sponge,comb, and shower cap. NOTE: the sponge is necessary because European hotels do not always have washcloths. We were hungry and headed downstairs to the bar which offered pizza and a few other choices between the time that the full restaurant is closed. The restaurant closed at 4 PM and would reopen at 8:30 PM for their dinner hour. The pizza was great as was the very cold beer. We could have also opted to purchase snacks and sandwiches from the little convenience store located by the desk. A buffet breakfast was available for purchase between 5:30 AM and 11 AM. It was very good with fruit, croissants, eggs, cold cuts, cereals, and a variety of coffee strengths to mention some of the offerings. We would have loved to hang around longer and enjoy the pool and sauna they advertise but our transfer coach had arrived and we were off to see more of Barcelona. Definitely a hotel to consider if you are here.

We chose this hotel as we were departing the next day from Barcelona. I want to ensure that whoever books is aware that this is not in Barcelona and not close to transportation for it but it is a great alternative for staying near the airport. The town el Prat is just a 10 min walk across where we had a fabulous meal on the main street at the brasserie. The staff at the hotel was super friendly, the restaurant and other facilities very clean. Would stay there again. They also offer a shuttle to/from the airport

They have complimentary airport shuttle service, which will save you approximately 30 euros one way. Their food service includes a Restaurant and a "Cafeteria". The "Cafeteria" is not what it typically means in the USA. It is just a more informal dining area next to the Restaurant area. The food selection is excellent and was delicious. We patronized only the "Cafeteria" and were very please with it.

This is a handy hotel for the airport at Barcelona only trouble is it does not live up to normal best werern standards as I've stayed in many , service was poor food menu was poor and once received was of a poor quality , reception service was a joke , waited over 25 mins to get my room card changed as it didn't work initially ( wife was sat in the corridor with our bags all this time) so would not recommend this hotel and shall not be using best western for a while

Hotel is located very close to the airport and has a free shuttle service to the airport. It is also close to a subway station (about 5 minute walk). We disembarked from the cruise ship and took a taxi to the hotel for 28 Euros. The hotel provided luggage storage for us since it was too early to check in. We then walked to the subway station and got to the centre of Barcelona in 15 to 20 minutes. We bought a 10-trip ticket for 12.5 Euros. The ticket can be used by multiple people and is therefore a great value. We had a great dinner in the town before returning to the hotel. We had a nice room with double bed. Amenities were basic and not luxurious. The room was clean, quiet, and had a nice view and the bed was comfortable. There was, unfortunately, no coffee maker in the room which I took for granted in most hotels. There was only hair/body liquid in the shower in a big dispensing bottle. There was no hair conditioner. Front desk staff was very helpful. There was no bellboy service. All in all we are happy with the experience. I recommend this hotel to those who is happy to settle for a little less luxury for a good value. The location is very convenient for us.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and professional. The bed was extremely comfortable. They hotel however needs to upgrade the inside interior walls as they looked poor. Paint and appearance needed help. Worth a stay.

Stayed 2 nights post cruise and pre flight home to Canada. Room on the small side ,bed very comfortable. Area very industrial and nothing for tourists. There is a bus #21 very close and will take you to the bottom end of Las Ramblas. More convenient to take a taxi. Will cost 17-20 Euros. 4 of us shared so this wasn't too bad. Breakfast buffet is very good,cost just under 11 euro.Very convenient on pre flight morning. Shuttle,you order the day before and chose time.It was prompt and appreciated! Would stay here one day pre flight ,but if staying to tour and see Barcelona would chose to stay closer to down town.

Stayed one night before Mediterranean Cruise... Very clean.. Bathroom fixtures were great. No facecloth only 1sponge for 2people. We had to ask at the front desk how to turn on the lights. (Card key) We went down to the bar for a drink. Asked if we could get a light snack and they made us a toasted cheese sandwich which was nice because they were closing the grill. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

We were looking for a convenient overnight hotel close to the airport as we were flying in on the Thursday and returning to the airport the following day to meet up with other family members. After reading mixed reviews I was not over confident that I had made the right choice. It was apparent that it was not on the "doorstep" of the hotel, but required a shuttle bus, however this was free and frequent so I wasn't over concerned. So, after ringing the hotel from the airport, we were given easy to follow directions as to where the bus would pick us up. Basically, out of the doors and turn right, 150 metres down the path. We easily spotted the white mini-bus with the Best Western logo on the side. The driver was polite and helpful. The journey was about ten minutes. Once at the hotel check -in was efficient and speedy. Our room was very clean, free wi-fi too. All required toiletries provided plus more! We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant, which was not busy, although it didn't open till 8pm and we would have preferred a bit earlier. We chose the 3 course set price menu. (I think it was €19 pp) The quality of the food was excellent, way above our expectations! The service too was polite and attentive. We enjoyed a quiet and comfortable nights sleep Now the breakfast experience which from previous reviews I was very unsure of. It was superb! It was hot, it was plentiful, it was fresh, it was constantly being topped up and being a buffet one returned as often as one wished. I have noticed a mr Tobias responding to trip advisor reviews and when I saw the gentleman at reception I just had to speak to him. I have never met a member of staff so conscientious and concerned for the well being of his guests, it was a pleasure to meet him. In summary, this hotel did perfectly for us the job required, a decent, well priced, accessible hotel for a relaxing first night stopover to start our holiday. All the staff we met were courteous and efficient. I recommend this hotel!

Hotel Alfa aka best western hotel alfa aeropuerto Barcelona We arrived late-ish at the end of a longish travel day and they were serving dinner until 11 pm. Had a perfectly adequate 19.5 euro prix fixe dinner just in under the kitchen closing. A welcome convenience as we were there b/c we were in transit between arriving from Granada and flying home to the US next morning. (Total length of stay: 12 hours). The room for 3 (traveling economically with our adult son) accommodated the third on a v. cool sideways murphy bed: much more comfortable than the foldaway or couch option. Room was v. small, which for a transit night was fine. More importantly, it was beautifully designed in every detail, which we appreciate, three architects traveling. In particular: the bathroom! Wow. Best designed bathroom ever. Clean lines, elegant shower, nicely detailed/thought through. The lobby had a number of amusing design features. I think my only objection is their promotion of themselves as the closest to the airport. A quick Google search suggests otherwise although the airport shuttle worked perfectly. It just seemed like the longest 5 km ever.

Nice decent sized room. Restaurant very nice with attentive & friendly staff. The breakfast buffet, though a little expensive, had a very good selection & variety. The staff at the reception could have been a little more friendly.

I liked my stay at Best Western Alfa in Barcelona mostly because the staff were so friendly and polite. The room was not spectacular but it was clean. The restaurant was also clean with nice food. It was very close to the airport and thats what made me choose this hotel. I did book a room (online) with a double bed and got two singles next to rachother... i could have asked to be moved to another room but i didnt want to make a big deal out of it. The downside is that the pool that was advertised in the pictures of the hotel does not seem to exist... not in the way it was shown. There was not glass ceiling above the pool and it is a very small pool. It was not the best hotel experience but i would recommend the hotel to others.

We're arrived in Hotel Alfa Best Western in Barcelona. We've drove from Canne France to Hotel Alfa Best Western located in Barcelona, and first impression was Hotel in this industrial location? It was a little challenge to find this Hotel because we never expected to have Hotel around Industrial area which we saw so many Big Rig drive by. That was our first impression, however, other than first impression of this Hotel, it was quite nice to stay at this Hotel. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and we used bus (21) to downtown everyday to enjoy the city of Barcelona and bus stop is right front of this hotel. Plus facilities of this hotel was very good, room was very modern, breakfast buffet was tasty, kind of small, pool, sauna, tiny gym was OK (better than no pool, sauna, and gym). Staff (Emaniel) was very friendly and knowledge around this area. Overall, we did pretty satisfied with stay in Hotel Alfa, just be careful if you're driving to this Hotel, like we said, never expect hotel in this location of Barcelona.

stayed here one night between flights. directions to place of pick up for shuttle at terminal 1 were confusing. just follow signs for G, or ask someone how to get there. you leave the arrivals hall out door G, cross a long elevated hall, then take the elevator downstairs. do not take the first elevator down while still in the arrivals hall. once you leave the elevator, turn LEFT (website says turn right). walk past motorcycle parking until you see a row of angled parking where the hotel shuttle vans are waiting. it is across the street from the car parking garage. this hotel's van is white (as most of the vans are). the sign stating that it is for alfa aeropuerto is very small; either i missed it or the van never showed up for the 9:15 PM pickup. there are some other words on the van that may have caused me to think that the shuttle was not the correct one. regardless, i waited at the shuttle point from ~ 8:45-10:05 PM. i diligently checked every van that pulled in. it was an extremely frustrating experience to say the least, especially when i had been up well over 30 hours by that time. i was about to give up and return to the arrivals hall to search for a taxi when the van showed up. and i almost missed it at that time....the driver is supposed to walk up and down the loading area, announcing the hotel name; i am certain that she did not do this for the 9:15 pickup (if she actually arrived). i would not have missed the shuttle if she did the announcement. the room was fine, the bed nice and firm. the combo soap/shampoo product did not lather very well; i used my own shampoo. it appeared that there was AC? it was hard to tell--all automatic, could not adjust, and never came on. i slept with the window open; was a little stuffy, and noisy in the morning, but thanks to exhaustion and ambien, i slept well. the breakfast was good--self-serve espresso/coffee machine, breads/rolls/sweets, eggs, cheese, meats, yogurt/fresh and canned fruit, juice. i will be returning to this hotel twice more on this trip, so will add more comments if i feel that they might be useful.

We stayed here one night after an amazing 7 day cruise. Before leaving on our cruise we had stayed 2 nights in another hotel in the city center and loved it. We chose this hotel because it was advertised as being 4 star and near the airport (which is, in my opinion, very far from it). The front desk staff were very accommodating as we arrived pretty early for our check-in. They asked if we required a complimentary shuttle to the airport which we booked right away. What we didn't know is that the taxi we took to get to the Alpha probably costs the same thing to get to the airport from any city centre hotel. Yes the room price was cheaper and it seemed quiet but once you got in the room the flaws started showing. There are commercial grade soap dispensers (like you see in public bathrooms) in the bathroom and shower, which clashed horribly with their contemporary design (showing signs of wear and tear). The complimentary items in the bathroom included a packaged sponge that I was not sure should be used to wash myself or the floor with (see attached picture). The travel size tissue package had already been used and not replaced, and there was also a shoe shine sponge and hair comb (which were thankfully not opened). I will refrain from talking about the water drainage issues and ceiling stains, but they were present. The free wi-fi was very picky and would drop our connections constantly, it was ridiculously annoying. I was trying to upload pictures to Facebook and to my Dropbox and I kept getting error messages. I gave up trying to talk to my kids by video chat and waited till we got to the airport the next day. There was a safe available in the wardrobe for our use but we would have needed to ask the front desk a key for (it was not digital and unpractical). The cherry on the sundae was the fact that they seemed to have a nice restaurant but it was not open between 4:30pm and 9:30pm. When you have an early flight the next day you don't want to go to bed late on a full stomach! With no other places near to get something to eat they offered us a choice of 3 kinds of cold sandwiches or 3 types of pizzas. I have a friend who also has a room booked there next week and I have warned her to look for something else if she can.

This hotel is nice and have a good location in Moscow but needs some improvments for some rooms the staff is good and friendly but they need to learn more english they do their best but still need practicing . Room service the most bad thing in this hotel . Everything avilable in this hotel you do not need to go far away from it.....

We missed flight had to stay in best western hotel Alfa for one night and were surprised how nice it was. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathrooms are modern and beautiful. Food was very nice too! Service was excellent! It's located pretty close to airport and they have shuttle service. If you would like to go to Barcelona you can take a bus or taxi. It will take about 15-20 minutes to centre of Barcelona. However there is nowhere to go if you would like to take a walk. We would stay there again and recommend it.

We only stayed one night between flights. Room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the shuttle bus was very convenient to use. There is not much nearby in the way of restaurants etc, but you expect this at an airport hotel. The food in the restaurant and the breakfast is certainly sufficient.

I stayed here overnight after a flight delay. I suppose geographically it's close to the airport, but after the 20 minute shuttle bus ride it didn't feel like it. Hotel exterior and lobby and bland and poorly decorated, but the rooms are clean, big enough and the beds are OK. Breakfast was awful- nothing hot, diarrhea colored coffee, pre-packaged cold cereal for 10 Euros.

You get what you pay for and maybe less. If you want what they offer on website you may not get. what can I tell you about this hotel plus they should advertise that breakfast is extra. Very nice front lobby beautiful surroundings these palm trees and banana trees in the courtyard near the cafe are lovely some very nice places to just walk and think. Here are the good things breakfast is delicious although it is very expensive for a buffet especially when American hotels offer the same breakfast with your stay for complimentary. The water for the bathtub was very hot however the showers did not work the blow dryer in the room did not work the air conditioning is slow and rattles as yet we were able to eventually the room however electricity does not work without the card in there so very slow rolling down the room in August 2016. Website says that the pool is heated however it is not ... it is extremely cold this was refreshing after you get used to it specially after walking Barcelona all day in the August Sun in the city however it was an extremely cold pool not heated. The pool area is extremely dangerous to walk around esoecially the steps. As my husband slipped down the stairs and when I reported it to the office but they were just surprise and they didn't do anything did not make a report for him. I had to get ice from the bar so that I could help the swelling go down. I was a little bit surprised by the response from the staff when he hurt himself especially because they were so friendly when we arrived and they gave us a room right away even though it was before check-in. The beds were hard as rocks but however everything was clean towels Linens sheets very fresh and there was no problem in the room especially with cleanliness of the room. But The shower didn't work which was dissapointing. I Was disappointed when the blow dryer didn't work and there was no replacement from the front desk I had to dry my hair overnight and air dry it in the morning not my preference. The staff seem to be very good at working and keeping things clean i saw a lady clean the front and sweep everything whilel I ate breakfast in the morning she seemed to be the hardest-working person on this day. She was very impressive. The guy at the bar was so wonderful on Friday August 26th when we checked in and made me a delicious espresso and was so nice. I expected that the name and quality to be congruent with the Best Western quality that I receive in the United States of however I was mistaken it is not the same qualities that Americans are used to with Best Western so beware of that it is inexpensive close to the airport so you get what you pay for it's an average at best hotel.

We spent one night in Hotel Alfa, we felt welcome by the staff. Everybody was very corteous. Food at their cafe was delicious! Highly reccomend it. Very close to the airport also there is a bus stop at the corner to get to town it's only about 20min.

Got to the hotel @ 6am to spend a day in Barcelona Spain. Was able to get a room relativity quickly :). The young lady @ your front desk was polite , Kind and helpful. rooms were clean and comfortable. WE decided to tax a Bus to town (2.15 Euro's) and about 23 min. it was a direct run. and dropped us off in town by Not far from World Trade center. Had a shuttle to the airport and a wake up call . had a Nice time. would go back again

The staff here (ex - Sylvia) are WONDERFUL! So helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. The only problem is that this hotel is in an industrial area snd a 20 Euro taxi ride from downtown. But the rooms are great (really new and clean) and the food is good!

The Mercabarna wholesale market of fruits its just in the back, you can see it from the window and walk 50 meters to the main gate. Subway station is 800m from the Hotel and brings you to downtown or airport. You can rent bikes to seightseen in the river near by. Room is well decorated and modern for a business travaller. Breakfast is typical for an European hotel, nothing extra. Free shuttle bus to the Airport. I think it was overpriced as a 5 stars Renaissance in down town was charging the same.

We went to a trip to Barcelona. Sightseeing and beach was the aim. The o the other was to find a airport close hotel. The first surprising service was a fee free transfer from the airport. We weren't able to check in in the early morning but it was no problem to find a room for dressing and storing the luggage. After a long day in the city we approached to the hotels and our room. All was clean and very comfortable. The third bed we needed was prepared and we had a sweet silent dream. Thank you very much for the great service!

this is a clean hotel offering shuttle service from airport. we arrived at a busy time and had to wait several minutes for the shuttle. The service at the hotel was above average. Good hotel for price. not close to any attractions or good food

I've been in the hotel only one night, i made it my final destination before my return flight to my country, because it is close to airport and also they have Airport shuttle, so I guarantee my ride to Barcelona Airport, the hotel is nice I couldn't take pictures because I was very tired the room is nice and clean, the stuff are helpful nice I like to thanks them all

I stayed in this hotel for one night only, as I needed to take a flight early on the next morning. I had the possibility to reserve the hotel by phone: really useful. They have a shuttle that leave on every 30 minutes that have to be reserved. They leave you in front of the departure hall. I will return in case

For our last night in Barcelona after our cruise, my cousin and I chose Best Western Alfa Aeropuerto. I must say we were pleasantly surprised. While the airport hotel part may be a bit misleading (you have to get a free shuttle to the hotel---more about that later), its still a nice little hotel, especially for the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had or any information we needed. They also gave me change for 20 euros so that I could ride the bus into the city center. The air conditioning worked well (which was nice after another hotel we stayed in pre-cruise) and the room was clean with a nice big bathroom and walk-in shower. The hotel would be perfect except for the location. However, if you are willing to ride a bus or take a taxi into the city and spend more for transportation, its worth looking into. To be honest, I would consider it next time just for the air conditioning! The hotel offers drinks and snacks for sale (high priced of course) and there is a restaurant bar that you can order and room service, though we never tried either. Concerning the shuttle: The hotel is about 15 minutes or so from the airport. This was the biggest issue I had with the hotel. I don't mind getting a shuttle to the hotel and the shuttle is free, which is nice. The problem was that we had to wait over 30 minutes in the hot sun for the shuttle to finally come around. After a flight from Athens, we just wanted to get to our room and relax! Other shuttles were coming around every 15 minutes or less but we finally had to call to make certain when the shuttle was coming. Once we got into the shuttle, it was a quick ride. For the return trip in the morning, be sure and let them know in the morning what time you leave and they will schedule a shuttle for you to leave for the airport. Bottom line: Great price, not-so great location unless your willing to travel via bus/taxi. Good air conditioning and clean rooms with a good-sized bathroom.

Needed to stay overnight for an early flight. We were exhausted. The room was great. The bathroom was so nice. For a best western...it was fancy. They have a shuttle to a different from the airport. Little mini market in hotel.

Room was clean, perfect for resting and recharging before going on a cruise! They also have a restaurant and bar downstairs which is great bc there's not many options for food nearby. And the food isn't bad either! I had a goat cheese and pepper pizza and it was great. It is a little loud outside so don't plan on sleeping with the windows open. It was also a little hot in the room too. There is a free shuttle from the airport to this hotel because it is not directly. The shuttle comes around every 30 minutes or so, but there is no timetable, so you just kind of have to stand outside the shuttle area and wait, but it will come I promise. Taxi fee to the port was like 27 € if I remember correctly. Good option for convenience.

This hotel is close to the airport, provides an airport shuttle, has a cafeteria and a restaurant and a swimming pool and sauna. Although the area is more industrial, there are walking/bike paths along the delta and El Prat Park. Bikes are available to rent from the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful.

We were there to sleep before travelling to Menorca island and the service as a whole is perfect for the needs we had. They have a free shuttle service that takes us to the airport (in check-in they tell you what time you need to reserve), a great breakfast buffet, very friendly staff, nice and spacious rooms. Additionally the have a little shop just behind reception in which they sell bath related items (cream for shaving, ), souvenirs and chocolates. Recommended.

It all starts at the airport. Hotel Alfa profiles itself as an airport hotel, but it isn't actually connected to the building (not even close!). So one needs to use the free shuttle service. Finding this is a challenge. The signs at the airport are clear enough. But once at the shuttle bus place there's no time table and no assigned parking spots. Guests have to randomly run around to check if the shuttle bus that stops belongs to their hotel of choice. The shuttle bus from the Alfa Hotel had a story to tell. Literally! The "check engine" light was on all the time. Also the "oil" warning was on, requesting the driver to stop, immediately. When I said something about this, the driver simply replied the warning lights where broken rather than the engine. Still, if the engine really breaks down the vehicle will loose braking power and steering power and that's frightening. Even faulty warning lights should have been checked right away! Aside from this, the Hotel Alfa is a decent place. The inside looks modern and clean. For a remote hotel (it isn't close to the airport or the city centre) it offers a lot of services and facilities. My room (#401) also looked modern and clean. One thing that needs improvement is sound insulation, because I couldn't just hear the people in the other room talk I could even hear every sound of their smartphones! When a PLING sounded, I thought it was a message arriving on my phone while in fact it was the neighbour's phone. Breakfast is very relaxed: it's available until 11 am, so one can sleep in late and still enjoy breakfast.

Stayed here for 2 nights, very nice stay, room has everything you would need, fridge which is stocked with drinks daily, nice bottle of wine left in our room as it was my friends birthday, beds comfy, very close to public transport, bus stop right outside the hotel that will take you direct to Barcelona, staff are lovely and helpful, would stay here again :)

Hotel was nice. Staff very friendly. Stayed for 13 days on business Room was spacious , clean and comfortable. Hotel is not in the greatest area but there is a bus just outside the door of hotel and a metro stop 10min walk . My only complaint was restaurant is open 12-4p and 830p-11p. For non Europeans dinner times might be too late and nothing around hotel as far as dining options

Hotel was good but no where to go near it. You could however get to the main part of Barcelona, Las Ramblas etc by using the No 21 bus with the bus stop right outside the hotel or a 10 minute walk up the road to get onto the metro.

This hotel is not a really fancy one. But the location is good! it is close to the airport. you can get to the airport by free airport shuttle. The room was quite good, clean, and comfortable. Wifi was free and quite fast!

Hotel was reasonably priced and close to airport with free airport shuttle. Bathroom was nice and clean. Ate sandwiches at bar area and they were ok to good. there is not much in the immediate area so without a car restaurant/bar is really only option. We would probably stay there again if we needed a hotel close to the airport.

Hotel was nice and staff friendly, not all staff could speak English. Shuttle bus and wifi was very good and free which was a bonus. Breakfast was included in the price we paid (€10 approx) but not much hot left only bacon which looked greasy anyway. Opted for dinky crusty roll with ham and cheese but ran out so 4 dinky rolls had to feed 3 of us. We asked for more but they said they had ran out. No other options unless you like thick white bread or cereal with milk (not chilled so quite warm). No croissants left either. We ate in the restaurant €19.50 for a set menu (3 courses) which was nice but if you opt for the normal menu it can be quite expensive.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel before taking a morning flight out of Barcelona. After reading some of the reviews on trip advisor we were surprised to find the hotel so nice and accommodating. The staff were all efficient and friendly, the room was very nice with modern fixtures and large for a European hotel. The shuttle to the airport was efficient and on time. The restaurant was fine.

A great experience, and excellent hotel,very friendly staff, in particular Manuel Fernandez could not have been more helpful and kind towards us,other staff we had dealings with included Srta. Estel who again was more than helpful,this made for a truly brilliant three night trip. Thank you all.

Great price, close to a Metro Station, Great connection to Airport via Free Shutte Bus. Restaurant has a good variety. Pizza is a must. Staff is good and speaks Spanish and English fluently. There is a market near the hotel. Will return to this hotel definitely.

Stayed at this hotel for one night pre cruise. Easy check in and check out on departure. Reception desk staff friendly and helpful. Our room was nicely appointed, very clean with a good bathroom and very good water pressure. WiFi worked very well. Although the hotel is in an industrial area, if you go out the hotel, turn left and walk about 5 minutes to where the market area is, you will find quite a few bars and restaurants to eat in. Some of them stay open 24 hours a day!! We did this as we didn't want to wait until 8.30pm for the hotel dining room to open. Although we didn't eat in the hotel, the menus and pricing looked very acceptable. The Airport shuttle service definitely needs to be improved. We had to wait for 45 minutes from when we called the hotel, which on a hot day, with nowhere to sit or shelter from the sun, is not acceptable. Shuttles from other hotels arrived 2 or 3 times whilst we were waiting. This seems a common complaint for this hotel. It would be better not to offer the service if it cannot be improved. Next day, the taxi from the hotel to the cruise port cost 30€ (no hotel shuttle available). Overall we had a good stay at his hotel and would use it again, especially if the shuttle service was improved.

We needed a hotel to stay at for 2 nights while we waited for our Cruise departure. The Best Western Alfa met our needs in two ways, it had a convenient shuttle from the airport and there was a bus stop into downtown Barcelona right in front of the hotel. The hotel itself was not a usual airport hotel, it was over 20 minutes away in a totally commercial and truck stop area and isolated from any services. Hotel did however have a good restaurant that opened late in evening and had passable food. If you need a good inexpensive airport hotel in Barcelona, give the Best Western Alfa try.

Rooms are very nice and the Restaurant was very nice too. Stayed here for two nights on business and ate in the hotel restaurant both nights. The food was excellent and staff very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers a free bus to Barcelona town and transit from the airport very helpful.

Located in an isolated part of Barcelona. Far away from shops and restaurants. Very disappointed in food service within the hotel. Food service staff were unfriendly and uninterested in their customers. An icy wecome to any and all that ate there. Very tiny guest service area.

We finished our transatlantic cruise from Tampa to Barcelona, and were looking for a hotel to fly out the next morning. Many of the downtown hotels were booked, so we decided on the Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto in order to make sure we made our flight out. We were dropped off at the airport after our tour of Barcelona, and called to get the shuttle. Unfortunately the shuttle wasn't marked very well -- it said "FONT" in big orange letters, and "Alfa" on some papers taped to the windows of the shuttle. We were expecting to see the "Best Western" logo, so we missed it once, and almost missed it again. Partly our fault, partly their fault. The hotel itself doesn't look like much from the outside. It is in an industrial area near the airport. Once we got to the hotel, checking in was fine. We got a room over the kitchen (124), which was a bit noisy until around midnight. Fortunately our white noise apps covered most of the noises. However, consider asking for a room away from the over the kitchen. The room itself was very nice. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very modern. I went down and looked at the pool and sauna; would have used them if I had more time. We wanted to have an early dinner due to our morning flight. No dice on the restaurant -- it started serving dinner at 8:30pm. I know that Spain eats late, but not all hotel customers are from the local area. They did have food for sale next to the front desk. There was also a gas station with some groceries and sandwiches for sale, which were actually very good. Other than that, you are pretty much landlocked in this hotel. One item of surprise was that there is a subway station about 800 metres from the hotel. With enough time, one could stay at this hotel and use the subway system to go to downtown, restaurants, or even the airport. Definitely worth remembering for later trips to Barcelona. The staff were all friendly, spoke English, and were always smiling.

We needed a hotel near the airport so we could return the next day to meet friends. Seemed to fit the bill. We assumed it was close to the airport and a shuttle was provided. Shuttle directions were good and we found it right away. 20 min. drive which you could have never have found on your own. Hotel is in the middle of a commercial area, nothing of interest close by. Spent the evening having a drink and dinner in the lounge which was very nice and reasonably priced. Room was nice, very modern bathroom with tub. Good buffet breakfast was extra. Easy shuttle back to the airport in the morning. (Must be reserved)

Nice, inexpensive hotel outside of the city. If you take public transportation, you need to allow about an hour to get to the city, but the price makes it a good option. The bus stop is right outside of the hotel. Friendly, helpful staff.

I am not sure if this is a feature of the hotel to make sure no one is late for the morning airport shuttles but trying to get close to your partner in the provided king bed (i.e. two singles push together) was impossible. Any amorous approach towards my wife resulted in an ever-widening chasm between the easily shifting beds. The fear of falling into an abyss of dust-bunnies, or the remains of previous bed users tempered any thoughts of "last night in Spain" fireworks. Perhaps it was his knowledge of what was not going to transpire that evening which made the bartender so deadpan when I asked him to uncork a bottle of wine for our planned soiree.

Tried to book this hotel for my parents through "Gala Hotels." They provided me a reservation, room, confirmation code, and charged my credit card--only to then later email and state I did not have a room or reservation. They would give me a room at another hotel once I replied. I replied within ten minutes but they said they could not give me a room at that hotel for the rate they quoted. My parents meanwhile went to the lobby at the Best Western Alfa Aeropuerto and said the hotel looked great and the staff was amazing. I would recommend they stop using Gala Hotels as a booking agent.

I chose this hotel as I had an early morning flight for a day trip to Switzerland. Check-in was straight forward and the staff extremely friendly. Great facilities for food, small shop, wi-fi and printing. The shuttle service which I used a few times was excellent and always on time. The room was well equipment and the bathroom was of a high standard. There was quite a bit of road and train noise with the window open but that was to be expected close to the airport and at night was not a problem. The only issue I had was that on the last morning I woke up with about 14 insect bites on my face, arms and legs. I did not have the window open so these can only have come from something in the room. Unfortunately this turned what was an enjoyable stay into a disappointing one.

The rooms are comfortable and modern to be expected of a best western chain. However, it's a airport hotel, they should focus more on it providing better shuttle service to and from airport. The pickup is a short walk away from carpark G, which is where all the hotel shuttles pick people up from. On our booking form, it told us to call when we reached, not giving us the place. After the 5th call, someone finally pick up and gave us where the pickup was, shouldn't this information be readily available on the site ? I'm lucky I had a local SIM card, but imagine if other won't have it, it'll be a nightmare just to call in. The pickup isn't sheltered, so you're at the mercy of the sun. We waited half an hour before it arrived. The hotel is 10-15 minutes away, the front desk knew we arrived, why couldn't she send the shuttle earlier. The fixed time reasoning is nonsense because we left at a very odd time when the shuttle finally arrived. He didn't wait for anyone else after he picked all of us up. That's my only complaint, as an airport hotel, their focus should be ease of transferring guests to and from the airport.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night as we had the previous night booked for us through work. On arrival to the hotel we was greated by a lovely man on the reception. He was very friendly and very helpful. We arrives 4 hrs early than the recomended check in time and they gave us access to the rooms straight away. They explained where everything was and explained about the shuttle service. The kind gentleman pointed out to us that there is a metro station down the road. About 15 minute walk. We dumped our bags in the room and went out. The room was warm but we just turned the air con up so it was cooler. It was a basic room but it was exactly what we needed. The room was clean. The only down side was the floor was very worn. The bed seemed comfy and the bathroom was clean. When we returned in the evening after a very long day we was able to skype our son back home using the wifi in the lobby. The staff were very kind to let us do this and we ensures we didnt interupt any other guess. The wifi only worked in the lobby as noted in the handbooks in the rooms. We had a few drinks and got food in our room as we were very tired. Staff were lovely. They took a while to serve us but they were brilliant. Food was very nice also. The next day we checked out and the staff were very kind. Later that day i realised i had left my bording pass on the bed. The staff did everything in there power to help me. Highly recommended place to stay.

I would rated this hotel very high because room and hotel facility are fantastic. It included free wifi that is stable and fast. My problem was with hotel shuttle. The hotel shuttle gave us a spook. We were waiting at the designated stop for almost 45 minutes and still no show. I asked the other shuttle driver and told me that they arrive every 15 minutes. Well not in our case. We went back inside the airport terminal and called the number listed on the website but it was busy. I even asked the staff at the Tourist information to dial the number for us and it was really busy. I asked them too about taking a taxi but told us that taxis don't go in the hotel's neighborhood. That was just frustrating. So we have no choice but to wait for the shuttle outside again and thank goodness it finally arrived. The feeling when you're waiting for something and you don't even know when will it arrive or arrive at all is simply awful. The hotel should provide a working phone to call when you arrive the the airport.

This hotel is listed as an Airport hotel but the taxi cost more than when we took a taxi from the airport into the centre of the city because we were charged an airport surcharge. It took us about half an hour at 4:00 am with not much traffic. The hotel is very nice and has a lounge and restaurant on site which is good because it is located in a commercial district with no restaurants nearby.
