    « Comfortable »

On arrival at the best western at Ballina we were welcomed as if we VIPs, given clear instructions where our accomodation was, the availability of the restaurant and pool. Even though the cheaper accomodation was close to the main road, it was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended to any weary travellers, bookings were not necessary.

    5
    « delightful stay »

We stayed for a week and had a peaceful night every night. No noise from the road or other visitors. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff lovely and helpful. Resident dog a hit with the kids. Warm pool. Highly recommend.

« Central base to travel throughout Northern Rivers Attractions »

Very friendly staff, unit well set out and very clean. Made most welcome for our 3 day stay. Easy to find and very quite even though on the highway. Neat and tidy lawns and out door areas, so able to get out of unit to enjoy some out doors when at the motel.

« Great Food, Great Location, Wonderful Staff »

This was the last stop on our way home and we couldn't have been more satisfied. From the moment we checked-in we felt welcome and important. Because we booked direct with the motel, we were given an upgrade on the room which was very clean, extremely comfortable and quiet with a garden aspect. After hours on the road, we really didn't feel like getting back into our car to search for somewhere to eat, so we took advantage of the Terrace Restaurant where we had a delicious meal and excellent service. A continental breakfast tray was delivered to our room soon after that which was all we needed. Nick, Di and Jess are absolutely beautiful people who are naturally warm, friendly, happy folk... We will definitely choose this motel again whenever we are in the area and can highly recommend it.

« Great place to stay. Owners are wonderful »

Great place to stay. Owners are very welcoming. Will stay again. Fantastic restaurant which is not expensive. Room was extremely spotless with everything you need. Right on the edge of town but wouldn't stay anywhere else in Ballina. Will definitely be staying again on our next visit

« Room, staff, & value for money »

My wife and I stayed 1 night and found everything you want at a motel. Very freiendly staff at check in as well as dining room, Room was modern and spotless. Quiet, with a great pool (tried it) that closed at 8pm

    4
« Nice place to stay »

The rooms were nice and clean, close to shops and the big prawn. Staff have been great and very helpful and provided guidance and assistance on how to get to certain places Ate at the resturant food was nice, will come back for my next trip to Ballina.

    3
    « Nothing special »

Average motel. The room was clean but its age was obvious. Nice garden, dull surroundings. Few minutes drive to shops and restaurants. Good place to stay for a night but nothing extraordinary. We were informed we got an upgrade at checkin but the room looked pretty much like what we booked.

    5
« Ish I had found it sooner »

From the time we walked into the reception we were made fill like old friends. Extremely helpful, caring and couldn't do enough for us. Lucky for us they have 3 pet friendly rooms, which is fantastic. We had our meal at their restaurant and BEAUTIFUL. Entrée of brusetta followed by home made prawn ravioli with minted peas mmmmmmm, hubby had the lamb shank pie, unbelievable and both so different.

    2
« Comfortable bed but no plates in our room »

Clean room. Bed was pretty comfortable. Rate was a little high but it was a long weekend. We just turned up (wasn't available online but they had a room available) it was close to the local tavern, so it wasn't far away from a good meal. We couldn't have breakfast before we left as we didn't have any plates in our room...it was 4 in the morning. Would stay again

    « Ballina Stay »

excellent owners and staff amenities room location. Had to cancel two nights due to family illness and owners help me receive a refund. Highly recommend stay there if ever in Ballina. Good location to shops and cafes and pleasant to walk around.

    5
    « Simple but nice »

There is nothing fancy about the Ballina Island Motor Inn. But the rooms are spacious and very clean, the owners are friendly and the restaurant was nice. What's not to like? We thought it was the perfect place for "just passing through."

    5
    « Great value »

Clean, tidy, free wifi, pool, middle of town, cheap and cheerful! Old style motor inn with good upkeep, plenty of dining options nearby and excellent staff. Pool lovely and a nice surprise, easy to find location in middle of town.

    5
« Best place to stay »

New owners who have changed the menu a little. Still the best place to stay with large clean , quiet rooms , beautiful gardens and pool surrounds. The staff are friendly and the food as usual was excellent.

    5
    « Perfect Home Base »

We stayed here with our two children, and the family rooms were super. Great size, well equiped, very comfy beds and spotless. The Restaurant was superb - food was modern, fresh and very yummy. Something for everyone. Chef even came out to check how our meal was! Hosts are very welcoming, including Zach the dog! Easy drive in to Ballina or Byron. Great place to base yourself to explore the rest of the region.

    4
« Excellent Chef & Restaurant. Owners very friendly »

Great location, close to most things. Easy to get back onto the Freeway. A very good restaurant, pleasant staff with the Chef coming out and asking everybody about their meal. Room very clean, ample space and up to date electronics. Downside - had to pay for Wi-Fi. The shower needed repairs as the water dripped all over the floor. The clothes cupboard had come off its tracks and was a bit dated - needed renewing.

    5
    « Such a lovely stay »

Stayed 4 nights in their family suite. Biggest family room we have ever had the pleasure of staying in at a motel. Cleanliness was impeccable, food was amazing (what you might expect from a great restaurant - not a motel). Staff were so accommodating and friendly. Will be staying here again in the future.

    4
    « Over nighter »

Great motel to stay. The rooms are spotless, beds comfortable and the room service excellent. We had steaks and it was best T bone I've had for sometime. The owners are very welcoming including the family dog. Would recommend this motel to stay.

    5
    « quite accommodation »

we went fir a drive south for a couple of days and found Ballina a very busy town. stayed at the best western back rooms very quite no highway noise and very nice clean accommodation. Went for a drive to look at the coast line and decided to stay for the night in Ballina. Very busy town music festival and awards. Best Western Motel deluxe room at back well away from highway noise excellenct clean accommodation not too far from centre of town .

    5
« Home away from Home »

Excellent home away from home quiet rooms at the back of the property. They are well appointed, free wifi is available throughout the property. The restaurant has good food and is well priced ,perfect for the business traveler or families.

  • 4
« Good place to stop »

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The people are extremely friendly and cannot help you enough. The rooms are clean and well kept. The food is very good and the value for money is great.

    4
« Fly in, Fly out »

An overnight stay for business, but the team were very professional and welcoming. Also used the function room which was well appointed. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely, as was the room service breakfast the next morning. The reception mascot (a border collie) was an added bonus.

    4
    « Reception open late »

Needed a room as we were tired from driving and noticed the reception was open, there was no issue booking in late large room, clean and comfy beds a little more expensive then I thought but was great full for a friendly and available reception

    4
    « Comfortable »

I was lucky enough to score a room upgrade - the motel is clean and comfortable with a nice looking pool (I didn't use it given it was winter). The room more than big enough for two. Nice toiletries, good water pressure on the shower and friendly staff. A nice stay

    4
    « Clean, friendly, comforable »

Reasonably priced, clean, spacious room and friendly helpful staff. After a long drive the bed was comfortable, the bath a welcome option and having the basin in a separate dressing area meant undisturbed use of toilet and shower/bath while making coffee. Restaurant food was reasonably priced and delicious. Would ask for a rear room next time, as traffic noise was noticeable but not excessive in the front room.

    3
« Not as good as it used to be »

The rooms at this property were always a bit middle of the road, but the restaurant used to make up for it - the foods was excellent. But on both of our last two visits the meals have been of a much lower standard than they previously were, and given that there are motels offering better rooms.....well, I suppose it's time for a change of venue.

    4
    « Comfortable business accommodation »

Stayed at the Ballina Island Motor inn on a recent business trip to the NSW North Coast. The room I had was comfortable for one person, with clean and tidy kitchenette and bathroom. Whilst on the main road I did not hear any traffic noise which was nice. Generally the room was very clean, tidy and comfortable and I would stay here again.

    « Overnight stay »

We were looking for a place to rest up in on our journey south from Yeppoon. We got there at about 7pm . Very clean hotel , unfortunately we were only there for one night . The bed was very comfortable, shower was great . Greeted by a very friendly dog and manager ! Recommended

    5
    « Splendid »

I came to stay here because of my daughter playing representative touch football. She had a gala day here and the hotel was perfect about five minutes from the fields she played on. The room was nice with appliances and big rooms I had my daughters friend with us who also was on her team they had to single beds in a room with a tv. In our room me and my youngest daughter. We had a queen size bed with a spa. My daughter loved the spa. We decided to go to the pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed because the cleaning machine had broke and there were wires around. The spa was nice but a little cold. It's location was great right across from a club. I recommend this to anyone staying in Ballina????????

    « A sigh of relief »

After driving for hours with 3 restless kids we pulled in to your Motor inn at a ridiculous hour. Worrying it would be like most last minute stop overs we were ready for another long and uncomfortable night of "rest" and "what creatures are we sharing our room with tonight" before a long haul home. Instead We were blown away at how friendly & efficient the staff were and how homely, CLEAN & comforting your Rooms are. Our kids loved there own space (and the spa bath) and we loved that we could sleep easy knowing they were comfortable & safe. A definite stop over for all travellers at the Beat Western Ballina Island Motor Inn!! Thank you :)

« Very old but fine for a passing through motel »

Stayed here for 1 night with a family member as we had to attend a funeral. Rooms - beds comfy and linens nice and clean. However the furniture is from the 80s and badly needs updating. The bathrooms are as clean as they could make them however does need to be regrouted and re sealed. The carpet needs to be ripped out and new ones put in as there was a burn mark from an iron by the looks of it. Staff - very friendly and accommodating. We didn't use the other facilities but did have a quick walk around and they looked beautiful. All and all great for a short stay and would be great once the rooms are updated

    « Lilly's Garden Restaurant »

Top food and wonderful friendly service from this restaurant at the Ballina Island Motor Inn. Haven't stayed ar the Motel as local but have been to the restaurant on many occasions in the last 6 months and always the same great service.

    « Weekend retreat »

Stayed here for the first time last weekend and were very, very pleasantly surprised! Dianne and Nic were great hosts as was Zak:). We had really good food ( I had a really fresh Thai beef salad and the chef very happily adjusted for my allergies - thanks heaps!). The wine list was better than usual for this kind of stay - THANKYOU! Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfy..., my hubby and I would be very happy to stay again.

    « AVOID »

I am astounded at the reviews which are positive. This hotel is awful. The Owners/Manager's are SO rude it goes beyond comprehension. We were greeted with a total lack of enthusiasm and rudeness that is hard to describe. On entering the room, we were greeted by a plain sub-standard room. No facilities, no microwave and very dirty. We asked the owner to come down and sort out a few issues in the room. He came almost immediately. We had been in the room 4-5 minutes and he accused US of causing the damage. I asked 'how is that possible, we just checked in?'. He shouted, 'how would I know what people like you get up to, I can't say what you would do, are you stupid!' People like us, - clean, polite, quiet. Yes, I can see why we might be a problem! There were so many issues with this hotel. We were dining in the restaurant and were the only customers. We were asking the waiter about the area. A woman came in, wearing cut off denim shorts that left nothing to the imagination, braless and in a singlet top. I assumed it was some 'down on her luck' guest, no it was the owner. Barking out orders to the waiter, no concern for us, or even greeting us. It was so rude and really bad form. We asked for a quiet room. We were placed in the room closest to the exit/entry for a gravel yard. The yard is right next door. So from 6.30am large trucks were reversing in and out, right outside our window. The hotel was almost empty but the owners saw it fit to put us there, despite requesting a quiet room, in an email, on the phone and at check in. I truly would not stay at this hotel. Go any where else. Anything is better than this.

« Quite, clean and friendly »

We stayed here to celebrate a 25th Wedding Anniversary. The owners, Nick and Di were so very friendly on check and throughout our stay, They had also arranged for an area for our party of around 13, to have pre dinner drinks and nibbles. The rooms are quite large and lovely and clean. Dinner in the restaurant was definitely up to standard, no complaints what so ever. A lot of different meals, all cooked as ordered and served at the same time. While it was too cold to use the pool, it was very well maintained as was then outdoor sitting areas. I would not hesitate to recommend this property. Well done to Nick & Di.

« Quiet and convenient. Helpful and friendly. »

A very well maintained and managed motel. Very helpful management. No noise from nearby road. Rooms have been renovated and offer large bathroom and area for tea and coffee. Comfortable beds. Will stay here again.

    5
« Very friendly, clean and convenient »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Management is so friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, great for breaking your journey. Although dinner was not available on Sunday there is a Pub over the road which served quite good food and other choices in the Town centre. Will certainly stay again.

« One of the Best »

I am a Sales Representative, and I stay in many different locations around NSW. I am away every 3 weeks and stay at this hotel every 9 weeks on my regular run. Fantastic rooms, Awesome food, and definitely one of the best hotels I stay in.

    5
« Quiet location with very friendly staff »

We had booked a family room as we travelling with our eldest son and attending a wedding in East Ballina on Saturday afternoon/evening. We were at the back of the motel, a very quiet, two rooms (family unit). We had a meal in the restaurant on Friday night which was very good. Would certainly recommend to other travellers in the area.

« Help when we needed it »

After our car broke down on the highway just outside Ballina we just wanted to get some dinner and find somewhere to rest. Our breakdown service organised for us to check in to the Best Western Ballina Island Motor Inn. I can't speak highly enough of the assistance given to us by Dianne especially given the time of night we turned up. She even called before the restaurant closed to make sure the family got a feed and organised for our caravan to be stored onsite whilst our car was being repaired. We would happily recommend this facility for the transient traveller or for longer stays.

« Good value for an overnight stay »

Had the economy room. Pretty nice room. Parking out front. Had dinner at the restaurant. The food was top notch. Easy check in and check out. Not far from the freeway but far enough so not much noise from traffic. Easy to get in and out if you are looking for an overnight stop.

    5
« Outstanding Accommodation and Service »

I recently stayed at the Ballina Island Motor Inn and was amazed at the quality of the facilities, rooms, meals and service - outstanding 5 star +. Di and her team were awesome - nothing was too much trouble. An ideal spot for a conference, family holiday or wedding - beautiful!! I will definitely be coming back and booking this for my work conferences!

    4
    « Good Choice »

We were a walk in couple for one night.Greeted warmly by the front desk, economy room was clean, bed comfortable and convenient. We ate on the restaurant, staff very friendly and as encouraged chose the freshly caught fish of the day..it was fantastic..and a first ever ordered for my husband. Only downside..the serving size was too small for the $30 price, and as we had ordered a double sized salad to make up for the chips we didn't want the salad serving was also not large.

    2
« Quite rude individual by the name of Nick »

Very basic generic motel ,no microwave, crockery, cutlery and overpowering scent in the room, very arogent and rude service by an individual named Nick. This detracted greatly from our experience hence we will not return.

    4
« Clean comfortable and reasonably priced »

The rooms here are all ground floor and you can drive you car up to the door like an old style motel.Perfect for travellers or those just staying for a few days. It is very reasonably priced. The rooms were very clean, well presented and the bathroom was spotless. Plenty of tea and coffee and room service is available, Whilst this isn't a resort hotel you would head to for a long holiday - it does have a good swimming pool, a bar and restaurant and is not far from central Ballina. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend if you are on a budget and working as it is quiet, clean and very comfortable.

    5
    « Great find »

My sister and I were stuck one night as our original accommodation in Byron Bay fell through. This happened at 10pm and after lots of driving around and calling different hotels we found this one. We were welcomed in at nearly midnight by the hotel manager and her dog Zac after calling up to enquire about a room availability. We greatly appreciated this as it was well out with the normal reception hours. All staff were very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.

    5
    « Definitely coming back »

We enjoyed a lovely 3 day stay at the Ballina Island Motor Inn over the Easter Weekend. The owners and the staff were lovely and very helpful. Our room was great value, quiet, comfortable, clean and included everything we needed. The motel isn't far from the heart of town which was handy. We ate at the in-house restaurant - really enjoyed the food and also had breakfast delivered to the room one morning (partner said was delicious). We came up for Bluesfest and it was nice staying away from Byron Bay township which was packed out. We didn't have to deal with queues for restaurants, coffee or parking issues, so it ended up being a very relaxing weekend. Getting to the festival didn't take long, so I would recommend anyone going to future concerts to do the same thing. Zac the dog is the best !!!!!! Looking forward to staying here again in future.

    5
    « Great value for »

It was Easter weekend and every hotel I looked at was ridiculously expensive. This motel was a great value and was a clean and comfortable motel. Staff was very friendly. Free Wi-Fi which was great as many hotels charge for Wi-Fi.

    5
« Would definitely stay again »

Room was clean & comfortable, staff very pleasant, we travelled as part of a group & there was a large covered outdoor area we could sit & have a few drinks together, we enjoyed a meal at the restaurant, plenty of on site parking

    5
    « comfortable and quiet »

Very clean, comfortable beds, nice and quiet unit away from the road, excellent service with breakfast delivery and food was hot too. Did not try restaurant so cannot comment on this service. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Would happily stay again if in this area.

    « Couldn't fault it if I tried »

Absolutely great service when we arrived and checked in Great size pool and outdoor seating area Room was great for what we needed (stop over on long trip) Non slip mat provided in the bath - great when you have kids to bath/shower Parking at the door Quiet - surprisingly considering you are on the main road into Ballina Owners made all the family feel welcomed including my 3 year old daughter

    4
    « Good value, quiet »

The motel was quiet when we stayed midweek and we couldn't hear any highway noise from the rear apartments. Rooms were generally clean and spacious. The couch was very old, uncomfortable and worn and could do with an update. Swimming pool was excellent. Air conditioning in the main living room worked well. Overall good value.

    4
    « A pleasant overnight retreat »

We needed somewhere to break our trip up and Ballina was closest to the halfway point. My wife has mobility issues and while we normally go for a spa room we found they were already booked but was very pleasantly surprised to find all rooms have a bathtub, albeit a short bath but long enough for my wife to rest bones and soak her pains away. Being a little out of the CBD we tried the on site restaurant and was treated to a delightful meal in pleasant surrounds, almost a romantic getaway for us. Overall while the motel shows signs of age it also shows signs of a welcoming invite to future stays. Thank you all.

    1
    « Sticky Carpet »

The WiFi network was to just too bothering to use during my stay at Best Western. The WiFi would continuously cut out seconds after going through the painful steps to log in. I just about needed a pair of binoculars to see the tiny TV. The bathroom floor looked clean at first until I had a shower and stood on it with wet feet, only then I noticed the dirty pool of water on the floor. My feet also got stuck to the sticky carpet. Just not good enough!

    5
« Fantastic Staff and great food »

Right from the start our stay was wonderful. Vicki is amazing, so friendly, professional and helpful. Room is great. Food in the restaurant was very good indeed, and great value. Definitely can recommend to anyone for any reason.

    5
    « Second stay »

Last time we stayed we ate in the restaurant but this time we didn't arrive until late. Bummer, the restaurant alone is worth it to stay here....but. Reception is welcoming, rooms are comfortable and clean, beds good, shower OK. Over to the restaurant for breakfast - waitress was happy and friendly, food well cooked. They have a new coffee machine and were only learning how to use it so offered a free cup of it was no good (it was excellent). A gray stay again, we just need to plan our arrival for earlier so we can eat in the restaurant again.

    5
    « Modern and convenient »

We stayed two nights at this motel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The exterior was neat and well-maintained. Our room was very usable, clean, neat and comfortable. Although on the main road, we experienced virtually no road noise. Our room (like most) overlooked the courtyard and pool, with parking right outside our room.

    3
« Nice Motel Freindly Staff »

Room is clean and well presented. The only un cool thing was The room was so hot when we arrived it took a very long time to cool down. They supplied a toaster electric jug tea coffee but No plate to put your toast or no knife to butter it? Certainly not a deal breaker I just found it frustrating buttering toast on a bench top with a spoon? The facility and staff was very helpful otherwise

    4
« Good, Clean and Friendly »

Good service Clean room and facilities Convenient location, close to the Bigb-prawn Good for the price I'll stay again Yes¡ We stayed in a room with spa it worked perfectly wifi, TV, the pool is good also the outside spa¡

    5
    « great access »

we had the disability unit and was a great unit and suited our needs well. Hubby has a few balance and this disabled facilities helped make our stay our great one. plenty of room, clean and easy to access from main road into Ballina. not far from down town.

  • 3
    « Decent value »

Surprisingly quiet on the main road close to the Big Prawn. Friendly staff, good food in the restaurant. Bed a bit sagging on the side but not unbearable. Parking tricky if you have a big vehicle or a trailer. Good basic accommodation, happy to visit again.

    4
« convenient location, east steps to restaurant »

Just a few minutes from the icon Big Prawn. And very close to shopping center and restaurant. I do recommend the Poly Thai in there. It's the only one that opens on 27th Dec! For the motor inn, as we just passed by and did not stay long in there, no chance to go swimming in the pool. Anyway, it's a good price.

    5
    « Where is Everyone? »

This is the best food I have eaten for a long time and my family eats out regularly. You know the veggies are great when it is the 1st thing your 4 year old eats. Had stuffed tomato, olive and feta chicken. 100% worth every cent and it was not over priced! Staff and chef were so welcoming. Congratulations on your restaurant! When in Ballina again, we will return.

    4
« Very good for the price »

Next stop on our road trip and this place was better value than Coffs Harbour (imo) We had a queen room for $155 and it was far away from the highway which was appreciated. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable enough for 1 night. The motel was easy to find and the fact that most rooms faced into the gardens and pool area made for a pleasant environment. The furniture is a little worn but that is really a minor complaint.

    5
« Very comfortable and quiet »

We have stayed at the Ballina Island Motor Inn about 4 or 5 times now on our trip from Sydney to Central Qld. The new owners are as pleasant and helpful as the previous owners. The rooms are spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. Although the motel is not in the heart of town, you do need a car to drive to town, the benefit is there is not a lot of nearby noise. The motel is on the main road into town but every time I have stayed there our rooms have been at the back, so very quiet. I think you have to ask for an Executive room though - the standard rooms are on the road. There is a nice pool. There is a pub within easy walking distance down the road for dinner. We have never had breakfast at the motel, instead we have gone for the $10 bacon, eggs, toast and coffee deal in town. I have stayed at other places in Ballina but this motel is just far superior to any of the others.

    4
    « Arrived late. »

Checked in late (a bit after 9pm, I think) and was given a discount on the room. The room was lovely with beautiful cool air conditioning which allowed for a great night's sleep. The only issue was that there was no listing of the wifi connection username of password as promised in the written spiel. However, this information was provided on request via phone in the morning.

    5
« Could have been more helpful »

I attended a Navy reunion in Ballina and found the current and new management delightful to deal with and very helpful in doing their bit to make certain i had the best time possible. Will happily recommend The Best Western to anyone.

    5
« Great motor inn and great town »

Have stayed here quite a few times over the last few years, most recently Saturday. Location is awesome with everything you need close by. Rooms vary from budget to four star, all are clean and comfortable. Nice grounds with pool, and parking at door is handy. Staff are excellent, restaurant food is delicious. Just changed hands, so hope new owners don't change anything.

    5
« Very comfortable pleasant overnight stay »

One night break in journey. Very pleased with room. Quiet and restful and very clean. Very comfortable bed. Great swimming pool. Friendly reception although rather unusual not to be asked for name and contact details when I checked in and receipt not given when requested. Highly recommend for holiday or night stay.

    5
« Great place for overnight stay- clean, friendly, quiet and great dinner »

Stayed for one night. Room was very clean with plenty of space and bed was very comfortable. Nothing was a bother for staff. Arrived just before 8 pm so was able to order a room service dinner which was brilliant- tasty and nothing like the typical meals of old when you stayed in this type of motel 10 years ago. Appreciated the quietness also and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

We had to pay $120 for overnight and not happy Jan with our room they told us it was the cheapest in town for a four star motel but it was a 2 1/2 star and you will not get any cheaper in town. We were the only couple in the motel for half the night and one other car in the morning. We went for a drive to find a place to eat and all the other motels were full and their tariffs were $90 to $110.

    « Awfull »

Very disappointing, the foyer and outdoor area looked great, rooms were terrible, they were smelly and dirty, hate living with cockroaches, the smell from lounge was sooo bad you wouldn't risk sitting on it, we were told we could pay an extra $15 and be upgrade from the standard room to a better one, which we did I would have hated to see the standard rooms if this was the best they had. The entrance to the motel was confusing, we ate in the dining room the service was good but the food was not, breakfast was great but I would never stay there again.

    « Fantastic property »

This is a great property, amazing pool and surrounds. Lovely owners. Super easy to find, ample parking, easy to get back onto the highway on the morning. We will definitely stay again when on our way through.

« Wonderful accommodation and excellent service!! »

Just I came back from Ballina, after a short family holiday, and I would like to highlight about our stay at the Best Western Ballina Island Motor Inn. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortables. Aircon worked perfectly. Bathroom and facilities were over our expectations. The pool and spa were great! Great located, just 10 mins from airport, close to shops and beaches. All staff, owners included, were extremely helpful, warm and friendly, just what we need during a long weekend in a full accommodation! Definitely, I highly recommend this motel, it has covered all my expectations related quality and price!

    « Good Cheap Stopin »

The rooms were pretty average but very cheap. The restaurant had a fantastic menu (wife loved the desserts) and the staff and management were very friendly and provided excellent service (the kind you would expect from a quality restauraunt). Great short stay. Would not plan a holiday stay here but passing through Ballina on the road to and from is a good idea. :-)

    « Sensational restaurant »

The rooms are pretty standard, but clean and comfortable. The bed is not new but very comfortable. Reception service was great and friendly. But the restaurant is where this property stars ??????????. Entree was superb, the wine list was good and really competitively priced (unlike most restaurants), main was not quite as good as the entree but still 8/10. The rooms are good enough to earn another stay, the restaurant was good enough to guarantee a return.

« Good for a short stay, quiet. »

Stayed at this motel overnight whilst on business. Good sized room and bathroom; excellent to see little bottles of bathroom products not a wall dispenser - a nice touch, great towels. A little dated in interior but clean and comfortable. Excellent country style breakfast - very good value. Good WIFI (free) access. Had a room at rear of property - very quiet. Will stay again.
