    « Great Stop »

My husband and I stopped here one our way, and on our way back. It's a very nice respite from the road, with clean rooms, comfortable beds and clean bedding, and good dining options. We travel this route often, and plan to make this a planned stop.

    « A typical Best Western stay , no major problems .. »

The only bad thing we ran into was what building was what , numbers are not lit up , buildings not differentiated , we wen into 2 wrong buildings before we found the right one! Shower trim ring was loose on the shower nozzle too - Internet was blazing fast though!

« Best Western Baker City »

Decent property and the best between Ontario and LaGrande. The rooms are fine but everything is a little dated. The cost for Baker City was high. The breakfast is a sit down at the adjacent restaurant and was fine.

« Stopping off place halfway to home »

A very large room, exceptionally clean. Plenty of light for reading. Coffee maker and hair dryer in room. Very friendly, helpful staff at the front desk on both checking and checkout. The room comes with a voucher for a free breakfast at a nearby restaurant. I was skeptical about the quality of food we would get but what a nice surprise -- I had delicious blueberry pancakes and bacon and my husband had eggs, bacon, and hash browns -- all very tasty. We would definitely stay here again.

« Okay Place To Stay »

I stay here for work about once a month or so. It's clean but some rooms are older and the carpet kind of smells. In the past I've only ever had a problem with the sound of the train, obviously there's nothing hotel staff can do about that. My most recent stay I could hear a TV through the wall. My TV was also unplugged when I arrived, quick fix but kind of annoying. The hotel itself is pretty old but you can tell staff are doing their best to make it nice and enjoyable. I've always been impressed with how friendly the staff is. And housekeeping always leaves a welcome message on the note pad in the room which always makes me smile.

« wonderful stay in Baker city »

We found this great! The entrance was from the hallway but sense it had a sliding glass door we had direct accesses to our car. That was nice and saved many steps. bed was very comfortable and we loved the shower and it's set-up.

« PLEASANT PLACE TO STAY »

We enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of parking. Our room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was huge! We got a free breakfast at the on site restaurant because we were staying at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

    « Not a pleasant stay »

We have stayed at 26 Best Western hotels. Attained Platinum status over the last couple of years and this hotel stay gave me enough to get to Diamond status. In reading the benefits of Platinum and Diamond it says that we will get a welcome gift and upgraded upon availability. Out of 26 stays this year only once has someone recognized our status. However this hotel was even worse. We were given probably the worst room at the hotel. Directly facing the freeway and the noise of the truck all night gave us no sleep. We realize that we reserved a room without a microwave/refrigerator. However there were better rooms available and with these items. We needed some hot water for a medical reason and went to the front desk to have water heated by a microwave. We were treated as if we were asking for something special. At check out the girl at the desk couldn't even stand up to great us. She looked up and said "I didn't see you standing there". Printed out the receipt. We felt like we were bothering her. This stay was in conjunction with my 60th birthday. Very disappointing.

    « At least I got a bed......... »

I had to make a reservation sight unseen b/c it was 450 miles from where I was. I thought BW was a nicer hotel but this location was a bit "different". First off, the front desk staff (2) seemed more interested in their own happenings than those of the guests (at least me). Yes, I had motorcycle gear on, and I didn't act like an idiot when I was passed over 2x for another person that arrived after me. It shouldn't have mattered but it seems like it did. The place was like a 1950's dude ranch, clean but old. The room was OK, but like its surrounding, it was dated. Not worth the cash expended.....and I don't have a problem spending money.

    3
    « Could be a lot better! »

I got a great impression when I walked in, the gal that checked me in was great. Got to my room, #278, and had a dog barking across the hall non stop for the first half hour. Very annoying. Called the front desk and they got ahold of the owners to get back to the room. I went to their restaurant for dinner, not bad, but when I got back to my room, I was cold, as it was rainy and cold out. The heater in my room did not work. I was sitting right next to the heater, and it would blow cold for 5 minutes, then blow warm air for about 15 seconds, than back to cold. I have been sitting here with my jacket on for the last two hours. I am using my computer but can't sit at the desk because the lamp will not work, so I have to sit at the table, but there is no plugin close to the table for me to plug my computer in. Sorry, not impressed with this hotel. I stay at Best Western all the time, but every year when I come through Baker City, I will not be staying here again.

    « Great breakfast »

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The free restaurant breakfast was excellent. We had a menu to choose from so we chose eggs cooked over-easy with bacon and potatoes. They were cooked perfectly by the chef. There were about a half dozen different breakfast choices you could pick.

    4
    « Good, dog-friendly hotel »

As a one night stay hotel while travelling with our dog - the Sunridge was a great choice. The rooms are quite dated but the dog section of the hotel is very well situated and convenient for dog owners. There is plenty of open space around the hotel for dog walking et al. The staff seemed very accomodating with our dog. The hotel bar, Sonnys, served up some excellent local draft beer and very tasty pub-style food. The restaurant provided an excellent complimentary breakfast, with several menu choices as options. Baker City itself is a quaint little town but with all the necessary stores and conveniences. We would definitely stay at the Sunridge on our next trip south.

    3
    « Very Dated »

Really needs an update. I do not feel that this location lives up to the BW brand. There just so many things that need to be done to bring the facility up to snuff. Proper staffing of the restaurant for starters. It should not take a 10 minute wait at the cash register.

    4
« Best Western Baker city »

Nice hotel with restaurant right there so did not have to go far for dinner. Rooms are well kept and nicely decorated and the staff was nice, the lobby was all decorated up foe Halloween - very cute. We stayed one night on our travels and I would recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Beautiful hotel »

Hotel exceeded our expectations. A sit down breakfast in the restaurant was included, and the food was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and the hotel and grounds were beautiful and well kept. Will definitely stay again!

    3
    « Nice Stop »

We had just cleared both of the snowy passes and I was getting tired of driving. We found this Best Western and it seemed to be the best place in town. Nothing fancy but it was clean and reasonably priced. Only issue we had was the heater. It didn't work but we were able to stay warm with extra blankets provided by the property. Restaurant and bar are attached to the property and are convenient. Reasonably priced food and nice breakfast as part of room charge. We would stay there again. A little noisy in the morning from trucks.

    4
    « Nice place »

We found our room to be clean, welcoming and spacious. The linens were better than what is usually found. The front office staff were very friendly and helpful, even providing a ride downtown when unable to reach a cab company. It was a bonus having a restaurant on the premise. The food was excellent and a full breakfast was included in the price of the room. I would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Overall a Nice Stay »

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The manager I spoke with was extra thoughtful and gave us a nice discount in order to stay in one of the suites, which was helpful on the pocket book. However, although the room was really pretty nice, very good sized and had a private jetted tub, I would not have paid the regular price for the suite. It is extremely over-priced for what you get as it is still just a larger motel room. The room was basically the same as a standard room with a living area and the jetted tub as an extra. Some of the furniture was fairly outdated, but the room was pretty clean. I will say that the bathroom floor needed better cleaned and the chairs and carpet needed better vacuumed (dirty & dead bugs). However the housekeeper was very nice and always willing to provide service on our room and gave us plenty of towels. When you pay such a high price for a room, I would almost expect it to be exceptional, so just a little disappointed there. We were happy to see an indoor hot tub (as our private jetted tub was very shallow), but a little disappointed that the pool was outdoors so it was closed as of September. On a good note, having a restaurant attached and so close to walk to was really nice and the complimentary breakfast was not the standard as you got to choose from 7 or 8 different choices of a full breakfast meal. The choices were all great. Overall, it was a nice stay and we would likely stay here again, we just wish the price of all rooms were a little less pricey.

    « Don't look too closely »

Driving home from staying at Yellowstone and the Tetons, we picked this -- a Best Western is a safe pick, right? Nothing horrible -- but just don't look at the blankets provided. Hotels are covering blankets with two sheets to look like a duvet. I was cold and went to get the spare -- worn, pilled, just nasty. This prompted me to look at the one on our bed. Mistake! It was worse. Thin, just really grubby. Please replace these 1960s survivors. Not a life-changer, but I'd recommend a different hotel until they upgrade something as basic as a blanket.

    2
    « Could be Cleaner »

The room was a small, basic room. The carpet was heavily stained and dirty. The room had poor lighting and smelled like smoke. The sliding door to the patio was open to the parking lot when we checked in, and the view of the mountains was actually a view of the cars in the parking lot. The room was noisy. Fortunately, the staff was courteous and friendly.

    « Reliable stay »

If we stay in Baker City on our way to visit family, we always stay here. It's a nice, reliable stay, no complaints about the hotel (although the staff at the attached breakfast place is typically a bit unfriendly). Convenient and pleasant, though nothing special.

    4
    « Surprise »

The rooms are large and clean! Each room has a patio or balcony. They are pet friendly and have a decent area to walk your animals. Beds we're comfortable. Pillows were packed uncomfortably small. Frequented by truck drivers. Restaurant on site that is said to have "good food" but I wouldn't know because I wasn't ever acknowledged as a customer so I left after standing and waiting to be seated for 10 minutes. Poor restaurant service is Not against the hotel, but the restaurant is the only breakfast option through the hotel. Staff was efficient and friendly otherwise.

    3
« One night travel stay »

Spent October 3rd there. Older larger Best Western, good front desk, room not bad but pretty basic, usual sound issues in the room.Good parking, internet worked fine. A real bright spot was the bar and grill, serving good food in a lively atmosphere. However, the hotel was excellent value for money and would certainly return there.

    4
« Convenient to Oregon Trail Historical sites »

This was the second night of our long drive from Phoenix to Seattle and the Oregon Coast. We were not aware of the historical sites nearby and wished we had booked a second night. The best part of the stay was the free breakfast. Unlike most free breakfasts we have had in hotels, this one had a special menu, cooked to order and served at the table. We both enjoyed a delicious meal and a pleasant walk around the grounds. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Free internet that worked well. There were a few grocery stores and fast foods within walking distance. A great stop for travelers.

    5
    « Clean and comfy »

This is an old hotel with large rooms, big sliding glass doors, fairly newly revamped and very comfortable rooms. The staff we met, at the desk, restaurant and bar, were uniformly cheerful and helpful. They must be treated well to treat guests so well. One picky complaint: no breakfast buffet. Instead you receive a free breakfast voucher for the restaurant. There are 6 or 7 choices of breakfast, instead of the buffet. It's not the same!

    3
    « Biking »

A good average hotel. Beginning to show a little age on the outside, but overall worth the price we paid. The Food Service staff was excellent in both the bar and the morning breakfast which was included. Great value for the price!

    5
« Would stay here again. »

Happy to recommend Sunridge but do check out the room before occupying. Some are better than others. It's a big place with all kinds of clientele. The first room I looked at smelled terrible. The second was fresh and clean. Theresa and Reaganne were friendly and very helpful both on the phone and in person. Place is a little older but well maintained. We would stay here again when passing through Baker City.

    3
« Needs Refreshing but Good Value »

This hotel is conveniently located along I-84. It is a bit dated and in need of refreshing but remains a very good value. The staff is friendly. A breakfast is included via voucher at the restaurant on site. The rooms are quiet and comfortable.

    4
    « Nice Stay »

It was a very nice stay. The property is older and could use a bit of updating, but it was functional. It was a good place to stop and the property met our needs. The staff were very nice, including the waitress at breakfast. We stayed in the newer building, which is probably at least 20 years old. Everything worked, but a fairly basic level offering.

    3
« Don't book online. They don't like it at the front desk. »

I booked two rooms here months in advance. I found the best rate online at Bestwestern.com but actually called the property itself to book. I was traveling from Vegas with a buddy of mine, it is a twelve hour drive so I knew we would be tired. I requested quiet rooms away from the pub. I did not ask for a balcony, I did not need a kitchenette, I just wanted a quiet room. The overly friendly front desk girl quite kindly put us in the nosiest, closest to the highway off ramp and pub rooms they had. I asked to see a map of the property and could see right away this was not going to be what I asked for. I did not want to raise a stink in front of my buddy even though I was choked about the room placement. I was quite smartly told those are the rooms I got for 'booking online'. What a load of garbage. I must have phoned and reconfirmed 4 times. I even called on the way up from Vegas. Smart butt check-in is all I can say. Room itself was small, clean, but noisy from all the semi's coming off the highway to this truck stop kinda town. Included breakfast was very good as was the wait staff there. I don't know about the other options in town but beware of getting a good deal online, even if it is from there own website. When you see the nice rooms with balcony's and fridges etc..know that is not what you are getting and bring some earplugs, later.

    « Great Breakfast/Cookies at check in »

It's all about the food for my husband - for me clean and quiet. This hotel offers both. They have a nice outdoor courtyard. We were just there to sleep so didn't get to check out the area. The location is convenient to fuel and the interstate. We would return.

    3
    « New owner(s)???? »

I tried to book 2 nights at Sunridge but could only get one and that turned out to be a good thing. There was NO hot water in about half of the hotel on a Saturday morning & that included us. I think there was a large wedding party/guests staying there. Imagine that. The manager was very understanding and knocked a good amount off our rate. The advice to get breakfast "to go" was excellent. I hope that they can resolve some of the issues like only some of the rooms having a fridge & microwave. Most travelers expect that from Best Western.

    4
    « Great Breakfast! ! »

Great Breakfast! ( they offer breakfast from a menu) Large room with all basic things you need! Very clean! Not much to see in Baker City itself, so hotel is suit for one night stay . Hotel is located next to highway 80 and about 1 mile from downtown Baker City.

    4
« Great place to stay. »

This is a great place to stay if you are in the area. The breakfast was great (service at the restaurant not so much) The breakfast is a full breakfast so before you hit the road in the morning be sure to check it out.

    3
    « Getting old. »

Used to stay here while traveling between WY and OR. Now will continue down the road. The rooms and furnishings are getting old as the building in general. Still has a nice pool, and the restaurant serves good food. Busy with lots of truckers.

    2
    « Old, dirty, run-down »

This hotel does not deserve the four star rating that it has currently on trip advisor. There were six in our group. None of us slept more than a couple of hours due to the uncomfortable rooms and the insane amount of outside noise that goes right through the walls. This hotel is busy because of it's convenient location just off the highway, not because it is a good hotel. With a massive overhaul and serious updates, this place might be worth another chance, but as it stands, never again.

    3
« Always have good luck with Best Western. »

Decent motel. Room was nice, except for stains on carpet and fan in bathroom didn't work. The other couple with us had to ask for a replacement remote control for the tv in their room. Nothing earth shattering, but don't usually have issues with Best Western. I would still stay there again though.

    4
    « Consistently good stay »

Once again, we stopped here on our way to Idaho, this time staying with points, and once again it was a good stay. We stayed just around the corner from the lobby, but there wasn't any unusual noise. We were on the second floor and had a balcony. It overlooked the truck parking lot, but still, it was nice. The room had a microwave and a fridge, always nice and again, the free full breakfast was great. The only drawback, and it's a consistent one, is we couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work. We've had problems there in the past and it is still the case. We will most likely stay again the next time we come through town.

    4
    « Lots of rooms/handy »

If you're heading towards Stanley Idaho and can't make it in one day this is a good spot to stop. Easy access from the highway and the hotel has a decent restaurant. We headed into town for dinner. It is close to Safeway if you need to stock up and gas stations are nearby.

    4
« Nice hotel, convenient to Highwy »

We enjoyed our stay. It's a very large complex. Our unit was in the back building with a view of a field and distant view of the freeway. No noise. Service from front desk was helpful in reassigning a room. Although we didn't get the room we reserved, we did end up with a King bed and refrig/microwave. It was on the ground floor and some ways from the pool area although the room we reserved was near the pool. Teresa, front desk, resolved the room issue. The room was light and airy. The building did not have luggage carts although the front desk offered to send one. We managed without as most of our luggage pieces had wheels. The breakfast was o.k. My husband had the std. eggs, bacon and has browns, which he said were good. I had the french toast and it was not so much so. It was made with whole wheat bread and just not appetizing. Would select something else next time.

« On the Oregon Trail »

We spent one night here on our way home. Our first floor room was very nice, clean, larger than in most motels. It opened with a sliding door onto a patio, a large lawn and view of the pool about 150 feet away. Nice, quiet view. No screen on the sliding door though, so if you want privacy or fresh air ask for an upstairs unit. The motel has a restaurant attached. It was not well staffed and a big disappointment. Our dinner was not worth the price. Also went there with our complimentary breakfast voucher, but left after waiting in line for 20 minutes with several parties ahead of us. Very disappointed.

    4
« Nice stop near the freeway »

Great location to get on and off the freeway. The hotel has clean, rooms with comfortable beds. The decor is dated. There is no elevator to the second floor. The breakfast is from a menu in the restaurant, you order one of six choices. The quality of the food is much better than at Best Western breakfast buffets. The breakfast starter and blueberry pancakes were suburb.

    4
« Traveling with grand kitties »

I travel early in the am so, I stop before check in time.. The young lady gave me a voucher for a beverage at the restaurant while I waited 30 minutes for my room. The pet room did not smell, which is a nice plus. The water pressure was great as well as the comfert of the bet.

    2
    « not worth it »

what more can I say.... not worth the price, AC does not work, restraint very slow and employees don't know how to handle a small busy time, no regular coffee, if you want coffee packets then Bimart sales them. Check in can't get your reservation right, be sure to recheck your reservation after you check in to make sure it is still has the correct number of nights. And most of all the beds are very hard and the pillows are very small and hard as well

    5
    « Great Layover »

This is a great layover with easy access to the freeway, gas stations and several places to eat. The facility is clean inside and out and their dog friendly rooms are very clean! They have the dog friendly rooms to the back of the facility so there is easy access to grassy areas without lots of pedestrian traffic. Staff is efficient and friendly!

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

After several days away from home in SLC with uncomfortable beds, we were so thrilled with the comfortable beds and pleasant staff at the Best Western in Baker City, Oregon on our way home! Thank you!

    3
    « Passing thru »

My husband and I were passing thru and stayed in Baker City. It was a very clean and quiet stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel staff was all very rude minus Ragan. She was so helpful and informative and definitely the nicest person who works for this Best Western.

    4
    « Definitely Dog Friendly! »

After we spend a long day on the road, it was very nice to have a warm and friendly greeting when we checked in. We were traveling with our dog and they gave us a little bag with treats and doggie clean up bags. The room was clean and comfortable. The best part was the made to order breakfast that was included with the reasonable room rate. We were able to get our breakfast to go and have in our room. Not having to either leave the dog alone or take turns while we each had our breakfast is a treat when we travel like this.

    5
« Great stop on a road trip »

We stopped here on our way through to Utah. This hotel was slightly dated in the rooms but the grounds were beautiful and the pool and sauna were lovely. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of pillows. Breakfast was included and surprisingly was a full breakfast at the restaurant next door. Interesting to note there were about 10 Tesla power stations in the parking lot.

    5
« Always fun in Baker City »

The Best Western Sunridge Inn is a great place to stay. The pool is wonderful on a hot day or a soak in the Hot tub on a cool day.. The rooms are clean and quite. And the Hotel is well maintained. The Staff is always friendly and helpful. We travel out there each year with a whole group to enjoy the beautiful scenery and historic sights.

    « Nice hotel »

Reasonably priced. Clean, very comfy bed, staff friendly and accommodating. Made sure all of our special requests were honored. Voucher for attached restaurant for breakfast was a welcome change go the normal buffet!

    5
    « Great stay »

Had a fabulous stay at Best Western Sunridge Inn. We were there for a wedding and the front desk/shuttle bus driver went above and beyond their job description making it easier and more convenient for the wedding guests. We also appreciated the free hot breakfast. Thank you! Well done!

    4
« Kind of good experience »

We stayed 2 nights, as usual front desk friendly and efficient. Our room was super clean as in the past and nicely cleaned for our next night.Only complaint is the heater is so loud it kept waking us up.I enjoyed the pool,it's heated and always super clean, disappointed the hot tub was broken our whole stay. The grounds are always very pretty and we'll taken care of.We usually eat at the restaurant on site, but unfortunately this time it wasn't good.we were seated first along with another couple, only 2 in the place.10 minutes before she came back for order except she took the order of the couple who came in behind us first! We could hear the entire ridiculous conversation in the kitchen about our order which she told me they didn't have avocado, but I got to hear the whole dilemma from cooks & staff in which they did have avocado.it was very annoying their banter & remarks.so definitely didn't eat there again even with free voucher.

    3
    « Cautious »

The room was clean and tidy. I would suggest if you have a sliding door make sure it locks! Our room someone had removed the locking mechanism on the first floor sliding glass door. Gave us a creepy feeling. To their credit they sent the maintenance man and he replaced it, but it still did not give us a secure feeling. Beside that the room was fine.

« Pleasant surprise in the middle of eastern Oregon, we stayed twice! »

First time on the trip North and made sure to stop coming back home. On first stop, Reyna (sp?) asked all the right questions, AAA, Military, or senior discount and promptly got us a great room in building 5. Quiet, well appointed with min fridge and microwave. Building 5 is away from the main complex & pool area so it is quieter. A good restaurant associated with the inn that also was the place to get the included breakfast, which was from an actual menu and served to you. No standing in line for the waffle maker. The second stay on the way back we also had Reyna and check-in just as fast. The room was in building 4, a little smaller and no refridge or micro. I asked them about that and it was a random thing of which rooms have or didn't. If you need those items, be sure to ask when booking or checking in. Both rooms had comfy beds and great showers. Both buildings had a washer and dryer room, so assume all buildings did. Wifi worked well in our rooms. A well run business. As we were walking out of breakfast, I said to my wife I was going to mention to the front desk that the bathroom faucet leaked badly when on. A gentleman about 15ft in front of us turned and asked which room and then says he was maintenance. We told him and he was at the door in 10 minutes to repair it!

    « like an oasis »

Just off the highway, with a shell station, Telsa charging, hot breakfast, quiet rooms, friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating. Second stay because of business and will stay again either business or pleasure.

    5
« Great hotel, pool and restaurant. »

My room was quiet and perfect for me. Right next to the freeway. The pool was warm and pretty good sized. Don't miss the great restaurant and bar adjacent. My only complaint was the rather slow internet.

    1
« Will Never Stay Here Again »

Rude staff, very unprofessional, wanted to pay cash for my room and met with resistance since they had "a card on file" when I made the reservation, and I commented that does NOT mean I automatically want to pay with that method, and then found an erroneous charge on my bank card later that evening and during my stay trying to get it reversed, I was told 3 different explanations by as many people as to why the charge had been made and none of them made sense or were satisfactory. I had to insist it be removed. The room was clean with the exception of the carpet with seams ripping apart and it was so dirty it turned my socks black. The walls were extremely thin and I could here the gentleman snoring next door. This was a very disagreeable experience on many levels. I would never stay here again nor could I in good conscience recommend to anyone else.

    2
    « Very Poor Internet »

The best place to get a strong internet signal was at the pool. In your room the internet signal would come and go to the point it was gone more than when you had a good signal. Staff told about it but no improvement was experienced. Also the restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch because they have a staff shortage. So after a long day of driving you need to search for another place to have dinner.

    « Great value, a real jewel »

Though it's just off the interstate and Main Street, the motel is another world. Rooms surround a central pool and well kept garden. Clearly the owner takes pride in the facility. Comfortable beds. Free breakfast (order off menu) is included in the already bargain rate.

« Nice stop in Baker City »

This Inn was very reasonably priced with a senior discount. It was a little dated, but our room was big, clean, and had a separate vanity area outside the bathroom. The bed and linens were comfortable. We received a breakfast voucher for the adjoining restaurant. The made-to-order diner breakfast was a wonderful change from the "free" buffet breakfasts with little variety from other hotel chains.

« good place to stay in Baker City »

Spent two nights there a week apart and, both times, got a nice clean room and comfortable bed. Easy access from interstate and easy access to downtown from the hotel. You get a voucher to have a full breakfast in the attached diner.

    « We don't care. We don't have to »

Way over priced. Resort area, but please. You need to up your game. Very disappointed! Workers did not seem to care one way or the other. uncomfortable bed, the room smelled funny and the internet connection was awful. Never again!

    « Very nice room! »

I liked the room and it was clean and comfortable, but no fridge or microwave. I was planning on heating up a sandwich I had purchased along the road earlier. They have a restaurant adjacent for breakfast, but I didn't stop in, as I was in a hurry to get on the road.

« Great Best Western Hotel »

When traveling and we stay in Baker City for the night we always stay here. Our room was very large and we had a jetted bathtub, which I love. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. We had a ground floor room which opens to nice lawns and there is a good sized pool. It is nice to have a restaurant and lounge on site. The complimentary breakfast choices are perfect for most tastes and it is restaurant food, not a self-serve breakfast room. I highly recommend this Best Western.

    5
    « Great value »

This seems to be a slightly older motel - which is a good thing. The rooms were spacious and clean. Even though we were on the freeway side the noise was completely blocked out. The bathroom has counter space. Included breakfast is in a real sit down restaurant on site and is ordered off a menu. Check in and out was attended by courteous staff and was efficient. The overall price for the night was reasonable. Easy access to charming Baker City. Not sure you could ask for much more in a small town motel. We were very pleased by the stay.

    « Good budget hotel »

For a budget hotel this one is pretty decent. The room was large and clean. A full breakfast in the restaurant next to the hotel is included. There is no elevator. The rooms open into an internal hallway which itself has an unlocked door open to the outside. Therefore it's not as secure as a hotel where you have to enter through the lobby to get to the rooms, but better than the room opening directly to the outside. AC worked well. Our room faced a large parking area full of semi rigs and RVs, and the hotel is next to the freeway, but noise was not a problem. Some rooms face a nice internal courtyard so that's an option to ask for although you might experience some noise if you have some partiers hanging out there.

    « Comfortable Stop-Over »

We have stayed at the Sunridge Inn 8 or 9 times over the last few years. The most recently was this past weekend. Out of the available motels in the area I think this is easily the best. The place is clean and comfortable and has most of the amenities you would expect at a modern motel. The beds are very comfortable. The swimming pool is a nice one and a welcome refreshment after a long day of travel. The motel also has a restaurant that is connected called the "Sunridge Restaurant", guests of the motel are able to use a voucher for breakfast that allows you to order up to a certain dollar amount for breakfast. This certainly would allow you to get whatever you would expect as part of a "continental breakfast" at other establishments. In sort of a weird quirk that I have observed almost every time we have been there, the restaurant management seems uneven. The wait staff has been universally helpful and mostly attentive, but the dining room often has tables that are left un-bussed for significant periods of time so it can have and often we have had to wait extended periods of time to pay our bill. So, I guess bottom line is that I would recommend this motel to anyone traveling through this part of Eastern Oregon. I think it a great place to rest and recuperate after a long drive, but it isn't a dream destination either.

    « Whew! »

This was the last night of our vacation! Very nice place to stay. We were ready to head home from there. The pool was great! We had become used to getting our walk out in the pool. It was very refreshing. We went to Sonny's for dinner. My burger was plenty and good! Glad we stayed!

    « Always a great stay »

The rooms are very comfortable and clean. All items in the room work well. The staff is always friendly with a big smile on their face. I will always choose a Best Western if one is available in the town I am staying.

    « Baker City OR »

Hotel is ok, has a nice bar area. Beds and pillows were not as good as other Best Western locations, Pillows were horrible! Had to sleep with my sweatshirt as a pillow, no options for thin pillows only huge thick pillows. The breakfast option in the restaurant. is a great idea, and food was ok, however this is the second year in a row we stayed here and got the same waitress both years, not sure why she even works here if she hates her job that much. Would not even say hello either times we stayed, never came back to fill coffee cups or get us the requested items we asked for. The original wait to be scene at the table was unacceptable. She would not even smile yikes!

« Breakfast puts it above average »

The room was clean but basic. There were rooms with glass doors to the courtyard and some rooms with great balconies overlooking the gardens but since I booked online I got the cheapest, most basic room they could give me right next to the Interstate. and I felt slighted. They have great rooms and this is a lovely hotel but booking online, they will not give you one. Very dog friendly. What puts this at above an average rating is their great, restaurant cooked breakfast at the onsite place.

    3
    « More Than Adequate »

Our room was nice and big and clean with lots of room to move around. GREAT desk set up - a chair on each side of the desk so two people could work on it at the same time. Was great for us because we both have a laptop. The bedding really needs some updating and the bathroom sink would not drain. Another bonus was 2 luggage benches - yep, so neither of us had to put our suitcases on the floor! The internet worked great. One big drawback was NO fridge in the room. The breakfast was included in the room rate. It was in the regular hotel restaurant. The staff seemed unorganized and the noise from the kitchen was unreal in the restaurant - dishes being banged around etc. The food was okay, but wow, the serviced sucked big time. Why can't they have the hotel guest breakfast set up in a separate area as a serve yourself like many other hotel do? I have mixed feelings if I would come back to this hotel again or not.

    3
« On the way but just okay »

These beds were not the quality found in other Best Westerns. Their location is convenient and breakfast is freshly prepared. The restaurant dinner was average. I stay here because it is on my way to somewhere else, not because I love it.

    4
« Nice hotel, would stay again »

I stayed here one night while passing through Baker City on a motorcycle trip recently. The room was good, everything was clean and up to par. The restaurant was good, the free breakfast was a plus. Actual breakfast in the restaurant! The pool looked nice, I didn't try it or the hot tub. I had a nice balcony that looked over the pool area with a couple of chairs. The only problem I had was the bed was too hard for me. Otherwise it was a great place to stay. I would definitely stay there again.

    5
    « Very Nice Place! »

This is not a typical best western, but honestly I like it better. You can tell it's an older building but has been thru a total transformation. Rooms are very nice with balconies on each room and large rooms. Beautiful landscape around entire place. There is a really nice bar and restaurant on grounds with great food and service as well. I will definitely find my way back here.

    2
    « Internet needs improving »

Internet was terrible for 3-4 weekends running and they don't seem too bothered about fixing it. Work was paying otherwise wouldn't have kept going back. Other than that it was satisfactory. Staff generally friendly and the pool when not full of kids is nice.

    4
« Great location if you are traveling with pets. »

Excellent location and they have excellent rooms if you are traveling with pets. Excellent staff, the entire facility is well maintained. There is a pool for relaxing. The restaurant and bar are very well managed with excellent options. The only thing not up to par was the internet service. The signal strength is weak and the Wi-Fi would drop.

    4
    « Good nights stay »

Stayed here for one night. Our room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool with our grandson. The hotel was busy, but didn't fee that way. Breakfast served in the morning was excellent. Not often do you get "served" a free breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were awesome.

    3
    « Okay stay »

Booked through aarp Expedia - check in ok -staff efficient not overly friendly. Passed rooms with lovely balconies or sliding door to outdoor seating -our room did not have either -faced the interstate with traffic noise able to be heard ALL night quite loudly. Went to do our laundry -one washing machine for the whole complex! The setting of the hotel -gardens, pool etc were lovely, breakfast had the best waitress ever who was so attentive and efficient, room was good , clean and well equipped.

    « recommendation »

we have always stayed at the best western in baker when we go over there. The staff are always nice and helpful The rooms are always clean, If you need anything they try to help you out. They have fresh cookies and coffee in office.

    5
    « A Real Gem »

This hotel was really a nice surprise. I was not expecting much in such a small town, but the staff was excellent and the property itself well maintained and comfortable. The hotel actually gave a feeling of being on vacation or at a resort - more than just being at another overnight stop. Highly recommend it!

    5
    « Best Best Western »

One of the best Best Western's I have ever stayed at. The attached restaurant had an excellent menu and good food; the complimentary breakfast was very good. Lovely garden setting, attractive pool. One could stay at this hotel and not have to go anywhere for food, recreation, etc.

    4
    « A Little Oasis »

This hotel was clean, well maintained, quiet, and the pool area was like a little oasis surrounded by the desert. Our room faced the pool area and the lights that came on after dark made it seem even more enchanted.

    4
« Comfortable and pleasant stay »

We had a very comfortable stay at this motel. It appears to be a slightly older complex of buildings but the rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom had a counter with enough room for our things. The shower was good. Our room was on the freeway side but had sufficient sound blocking so we were not bothered by traffic or any other noise. We thought this was a very good value and reasonably priced.

    3
« Budget priced rooms. Convenient for a traveler on Interstate I-84. Good for an overnight stop. »

Room was large and clean with double beds, a desk and a large round table. Excellent shower. Had two suitcase stands. Amenities rather poor. No water glasses in room. Two coffee cups but a Micky Mouse coffee maker. Have seen much better. Beds were comfortable but the bed pillows were awful. My travel companion finally went out to her car and got her own pillow. The battery operated fire alarm on the ceiling went dead and proceeded to chirped the rest of the night. Made it difficult to sleep. The desk clerk gave us a $25 discount as compensation. They had a business computer in the lobby. Totally outdated. Still had Windows XP. Extremely slow. Could not make the printer work. Gave up. Free breakfast from a special menu in the adjacent restaurant. Nice perk.

    4
« Clean and very animal friendly »

We stayed at this rustic little hotel on a trip with 4 cats. The hotel has special rooms set aside for people travelling with animals and is very welcoming to them. There is a great restaurant attached (but no room service), which serves good food and has a nice ambience. We were pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable our stay was here. It is missing some of the little conveniences provided by other pet-friendly hotel chains like Residence Inn, such as kitchen, separate living and bedroom spaces, etc. However, it was comfortable and the staff made us feel very welcome. The hotel is right next to the freeway for good access during a long road trip.

    « Pool was a life saver »

We arrived on motorcycle on a stinkin' hot afternoon after a great ride from Enterprise via the edge of the Hell's Canyon. Two things were great. 1. The pool was perfectly heated. A little breathtaking on entry and a sound of retreat for the boyz but nice to float around in to cure the heat stroke. 2. Lower rooms have sliding patio doors that are 10 feet from the parking spots. It's nice to have your car or your bike close enough to not have to worry about creepers in the night. Over all a typical good Best Western. No disappointments. No surprises.

    5
    « Sunridge Supercharge Stay »

This hotel is like an oasis in the desert! The pool and adjacent landscaping are most comforting and the room and restaurant were excellent. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip on this route

    5
    « Very nice »

The hotel is standard Best Western so was very nice. We were able to back our car up near our sliding glass door to our room making loading and unloading very easy. The room was very nice with comfortable beds. Bathroom was nice and room was up to date. We had a drink at the bar and their free breakfast was inside of the restaurant was the best free breakfast we ever had. We were allowed to order off the menu?? In all, this stay was worth it. Very friendly employees.

« Love this cozy place! »

I don't understand the knit picky reviews, this place is cozy, clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We ate at Sonny's Bar & Grill with our party of 6. The service was great and the food was wonderful from the steamer clams to the French dips. No, this is not a 4-5 star motel but I think it's a solid 3 because of the amenities, service and cleanliness. I have stayed at many nice resorts all over the world but this cute little gem is worth staying at if you are looking for a place in Baker City.

    3
    « A night at Sunridge Inn »

Air conditioner was disruptive as it cycled on and off during the night. My wife was served smoked salmon when she ordered fresh salmon. She was served white rice when the menu stated that her entrée was to be served with wild rice. The server seemed not to even know what wild rice is.

    5
    « Great Place »

Reasonably priced older motel. Well maintained buildings and grounds with a restaurant and bar on site. Large outside pool protected from public ways. Very clean and well maintained rooms fully stocked with supplies. A great place to stay when visiting Baker City

    2
« Looks nice but looks can be deceiving »

This place looks nice but needs some work. The room I stayed in the cooler fan sounded really bad made a loud clunk when it turned on and shut off. The WiFi did not work at all, I was told it was hit and miss it was a total miss. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was good.

    5
« Great Place To Stay. »

This Place for the money is well worth it,the rooms are big,the beds are great, luggage racks,Sundries and the shower very clean,Wifi and Television worked great(HBO) and Breakfest was just what this guy needed to get thru the next days drive.

« Really enjoyed our stay »

Very accomodating at the front desk as we were on a motorcycle and asked for a ground floor room which she quickly switched for us. We were able to park right in front of our room which had a patio door. We had a king room which was spacious clean and very comfortable. Carpet and microwave could use an upgrade and we were unable to get wifi in our room. The outdoor area there is really nice, pool is outdoors as well as a nice outdoor patio to have a drink or eat. Food at the restaurant was really good and breakfast in the morning gave you 6 or 7 menu options which was a pleasant surprise.

    5
    « Lively and fun! »

My husband and I with our Golden retriever Maggie enjoyed our stay at the Sun Ridge. The pool facilities and hot tub, which were nice and clean, were just what we needed after our nearby hiking trip in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. We liked that the pool was outside and the grounds had a nice layout where everything felt close enough. We especially enjoyed the hard working, friendly, and accommodating staff at the bar, they had great desserts too. I also loved that they offered Barley Brown's pallet Jack a local IPA made in Baker City. The breakfast was also surprisingly good for complimentary because you are able to order off a menu rather than the typical lackluster buffet. We also appreciated the onsite laundry. We already decided we would love to back and next time bring our kids who would love the pool.

    5
    « A lovely place for families »

I loved the layout of this Best Western property. Five separate buildings with a good sized pool in the center. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was delicious with six menu options. Coffee and juice included. Service was fast for breakfast and dinner.

    2
    « Unsatisfied with amenities »

The staff, as at all Best Westerns I have frequented, were fantastic. The amenities on the other hand were not functioning making the stay unenjoyable. Lastly, the breakfast is served through a voucher to an adjoined café and that was the worst part of the stay. The employees were understaffed and overworked and their unhappiness made the clientele very unhappy. Literally everyone in the café was unhappy with the experience.

    3
    « never again »

we had rode motorcycles all day and were looking forward to the pool... however when we got there, it seems that all the kids in town were in the pool.... young ones and screaming all night... restaurant food had been depleted so when we ordered, we were told no more so we had to have alternate meal... service was slow, got salad during our main meal, not before...

    « Baggerdude »

This property was a good location with restaurants and gas stations close by and right off the highway. Very nice rooms and it was a great value. Our motorcycle group was on the road 16 days and this was just the kind of place and price we look for.

    2
    « Reservations? »

Made reservations late through AAA's app. Get to the motel having paid when making the reservation and the clerk is about on breakdown as other employee had left and people like us showed up expecting a room. She finally made a phone call and found us a room. We had a problem with the toilet and my hubby was already in bed so waited until the morning to request maintenance. Then went to breakfast next door. Came back probably an hour later and it still wasn't fixed. I even told a room attendant so we judt checked out. This was the worst experience at a Best Western. Breakfast was good but service not so much. I had a dirty fork after a long wait to be seated. I asked for pancskes instead of hsshbrowns and a biscuit and would have thought I asked for the moon? I was told I could probably only get one, like it was too much to ask. The food was good and indeed I hot one pancake. I've been to many restraunts where you can swap. I had to a sk for the beverage that was suppose to come with it. Probably a bad Friday night Saturday morning. I worked the industry when younger and you don't treat the guest like this.

    3
    « Good value »

They offered a free sit down breakfast which was really nice. The dinner was much to be desired but not many places inBaker City to choose from anyways. Nice heated swimming pool but room was average. No microwave or fridge. I have a kiddo that takes a bottle at night so I had to use the staffs microwave. There is a small play area for the kids and a dog spot. Overall it was a good place for one night.

    4
« Nice place to stay! »

Really enjoyed the patio/courtyard/pool area! It was like an oasis on the long road that is I84. Trees for shade, kids in the pool, and drinks/dinner outside in the fresh evening air. Great stop. I could make that a destination in the future!

    3
« Needs better organization all the way around. »

Made reservations back in January, unaware that this two story hotel had no elevator. Called back a week later and requested ground floor rooms after finding out no elevator. This was rather important as two members of our party were over 80 yrs old. Arrived and found out all rooms were on the second floor. After reading thru our reservation notes, at the very end it said no, in regards to second floor rooms. The girl at the desk informed us they had no other rooms so we kept those rooms. Luckily the older people in our group did ok on the stairs but it was tiring for them at the end of the evening. Had dinner at their onsite restaurant. Upon checking out the next morning, we were all informed of a room charge, which was in fact the balance of the previous nites meal. We were surprised at the charge as we had paid for our meals that nite. We showed the woman at the desk our receipts and she did credit our accounts for the meal amounts. Then arriving home, there was a message stating the restaurant had no copy of our meal receipts! We had to fax them our meal receipts as proof of payment. Requested a followup response from them. Called them ourselves and was told the restaurant did find our receipts after all. Between the room issues, and then having to prove that we had in fact, paid for our meals, staying here again is not in my future.

« Enjoyed our stay here »

This hotel is set up much like a resort with rooms opening to the center courtyard. The pool and spa are in the courtyard surrounded by grass and landscaping. After a long day of driving it was a treat to relax in this setting. Hotel guests receive a free breakfast at the hotel's restaurant which is a nice change from the typical breakfast offerings at hotels.

    5
« A gem at the end of a long day »

Distance from our home to the hotel was just right. The appearance from the outside is a little weathered but inside the building and court yard, it is all good. The landscaping in the court yard is pleasing to the eye and a really good feature of the hotel. Service and menu in the restaurant were excellent. The breakfast on the day of departure was the best I have had in a hotel in a long time. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.

    4
    « Positive »

The motel is within easy access of the freeway. Excellent service. The pricing of the rooms is quite satisfactory. Facility well kept and attractive in the center area. We would plan to stay in the facility the next time we were in the Baker City area.

    5
« A very Feel at Home experience »

I stay every Thursday night at the Sunridge Inn and have enjoyed doing so for two years now. The staff is always attentive and helpful. Sonny's Lounge offers great socializing, drinks and dinners. It also has a very nice outdoor seating area during the summer months.

    5
    « Repeat stay »

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times as we can always count on a quiet, clean room and a restful night's sleep. It is located conveniently right off of the freeway and also has a very good restaurant attached. We definitely will stay there again when we travel to the Northwest to visit family.

    « Fantabulous! »

I had originally booked a room at The Geiser Grand Hotel for the Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally, received a confirmation code through Booking.com months before the rally. When I called a few weeks before the event, Geiser Grand said they didn't have a reservation for me. After a few days of going back and forth between the two companies Geiser Grand wouldn't honor my reservation because I booked two nights instead of three. (Keep in mind they NEVER contacted me to tell me this nor was this communicated to me about my reservation.) With only a few weeks before the rally and everything in a 50 mile radius sold out, I contacted Best Western Sunridge Inn. They took my name and in less than a week there was a cancellation so thankfully they were able to accommodate me, I was able to go to the rally not to mention the room was 1/2 the price of The Geiser Grand. Huge thank you to BW Sunridge Inn for their follow through and professionalism, the entire staff was friendly and courteous.... they will always have my business whenever I'm visiting Baker City and I will highly recommend them to anyone.

« Great place to stay »

When you first arrive, the grounds are beautiful, then you walk into the reception and are greeted so friendly by all the staff. They all go out of their way to accommodate you and make sure you are comfortable and having a good time

    4
« Low End of "Very Good" Rating »

Stayed for two nights at the BW Sunridge Inn. The property is conveniently located just off I-84. It is a large motel with very well kept grounds, and more watered green grass than you usually find in this area. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and co-operative. The building was somewhat dated but the room (dog friendly) was a good size however without either a refrigerator or micro-wave which was unexpected Beds were comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. Bathroom was large and clean. The lobby is pleasant with comfortable seating and free coffee in the mornings. There is ample parking. There is a dog charge of $15 which is expected, but it is charged for each nights stay. We did not participate in the free breakfast but the menu looked good We would definitely stay again at this Best Western in Baker City.

    4
    « A pleasant stay and a great value »

This was not a place on our radar. But as we wound our way back to Northern California for a wedding after visiting Glacier National Park, we discovered there was an Oregon Trail Interpretive Center just outside of Baker City. The Sunridge Inn, although clearly an older property was well priced and conveniently located. Our room was clean and comfortable and the outdoor pool was refreshing on a hot June afternoon. The included hot breakfast in the inn's restaurant was a bonus.

« Animal Friendly Oasis in the midst of desolation with a GREAT breakfast »

Although this hotel is older it has been well maintained, clean and smelled fresh. The staff was accommodating and ready to please when we arrived. Freshly baked cookies awaited us in the lobby, which seems to be the norm now-a-days, but still a nice touch The grounds are impeccably cared for and provide a beautiful oasis in the middle of a desolate and otherwise dry landscape. The room was very clean and spacious with a nice veranda with slider access and 2 chairs to sit and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the wildlife (human & animal alike). We would recommend this as a stop off point, and we would stay there again. The pool in the summer is inviting, and the breakfast included, offered a variety of choices that all looked fantastic. The bacon was thick, the eggs were done to perfection and the hashbrowns were real potatoes. The blueberry pancakes, french toast, oatmeal, yogurt, etc, also all looked great. I guess the best way to describe the food was down home and ample portions. The best hotel breakfast of that type we have ever had, which is notable I think. Drawbacks/Notable: 1. There are NO refrigerators or microwaves in room, so be aware. That point was disappointing to us, but not a deal killer. We were told that they are upgrading as funds allow to get into the 21st century. 2. The pillows were small and super firm/tall which unfortunately provided a grand neck ache, but the bed was very comfortable otherwise. 3. Pet friendly 4. No elevators, so if you have a hard time climbing stairs make sure and reserve a ground floor unit

    4
    « Well maintained »

This is an older hotel, but I must say it is fairly well updated, maintained and clean. It is reasonably priced and very convenient for travelers. The provide breakfast in the attached restaurant is a welcome alternative to the traditional breakfast buffets.

    3
« Ok value but low on ammenities »

Rooms are clean and decently maintained. Property feels a bit older. Staff seems nice enough. Rooms in the back building don't have balconies/patio areas. No elevators! Important to know if you have a lot of luggage. There is a small play area for children - slide and swings. Good for an energetic child who has been cooped up in a car. If your looking for a basic place to stay then this is it.

    3
« Decent hotel for the price »

When visiting family in Baker City, I always stay at the Best Western Sunridge Inn because other choices in town seem less appealing. The rooms are large and clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located close to the highway, so traveling is easy. I do not recommend the restaurant, as the service is horrible and the food is mediocre. Fortunately there is a decent restaurant adjacent to the hotel and many to choose from in town.

    4
« Nice comfortable stay after a long day of driving. »

I travel a lot and stay at Best Westerns to earn points and take advantage of their promotions. Because of this I have been able to purchase and earn travel cards. I had two rooms reserved for my family and paid for them with a stack of travel cards. The young woman at the registration desk was so patient and dealt with me an all of my travel cards and was so nice about it. She made the process very easy considering how much extra attention I needed just to get me and my family checked in. They even made sure that we got joining rooms.

    5
    « great value »

This hotel is nicer than some that have the higher BW rating of "plus". The room was great - comfortable king bed, desk, chair and sofa; the kitchenette had a counter w/sink, microwave and refrigerator; the bathroom had a counter w/sink also and plenty of bath supplies. The outdoor pool was great! The free breakfast was freshly cooked to order in the restaurant. Our dinner left a bit to be desired as it included overcooked peas, carrots and lima beans and an unimaginative lettuce and crouton salad. However, we highly recommend this place as it was very pleasant and a very good value.

Disappointed in this BW. A Hot week and NO in room refer or microwave. We've never been to a BW that doesn't have basic appliances. Motels even have refer's in them. The bed was comfortable though. As far as BW's go, I've stayed at worse, but have stayed at a lot better properties as well. We'll try someplace else next time we are in the Baker City area.

« A Bit Older but well maintained, Restaurant is a bonus »

Our room was very nice, traditional furniture and clean. There was a little balcony overlooking the parking lot and a truck stop that was really having a lot of activity, some type of benefit going on. The rooms are numbered crazy here for some reason. There are restaurants close by, Sumpter Jucnction and the motel has it's own Restaurant and bar on site. The hot tub was being remodeled but the pool was heated and very nice. My only concern was that the guys at the bar are sitting outside and can easily look over into the pool area. I felt like that was a little creepy. I had my grand daughter with me and it made me uncomfortable. Instead of the usual breakfast you get a coupon to go to the motel restaurant for breakfast. They have a special menu for motel guest to choose from. After being on the road for nearly two weeks and eating continental breakfast everyday it was a nice change. I would certainly stay again. Maybe build a taller more secluded fence on the bar side BW.

    « Awesome »

Great staff, Great breakfast, Great Lounge Great Hotel I like the rooms have sliding doors to sit outside next to pool and close to your car so you don't need to walk down hallway with bags. The lawn was clean with no trash and everyone was really friendly. Every things was very clean in the room also. They have coffee ready for you when you check out. Business are close to deliver food if you choose. Lounge is fun and clean with outside seats also.

« Great stay in comfortable, friendly place »

Very pleased with our one night stay on our road trip through the West. Beds comfortable, rooms clean and roomy. Breakfast at the restaurant very good and included. Staff friendly and helpful. Grounds and landscaping make this a cut above your typical Best Western.

    « Oregon Fun »

We are traveling to the west coast and this was a great spot to stop for the night. Friendly front desk. again we were a bit early and they gave us drink coupons to use in bar area while room was finishing up. our room was on first floor and sliding door was right at the parking lot. They offered a coupon for free breakfast in the diner on the property very delicious

« very nice hotel etc »

this place reminds me of what a resort was before there were resorts. had everything except for spa service. hotel, rooms, pool, restaurant, bar and lounge and very nice grounds. all were kept clean and the staff was professional and helpful. only issue i had was that there was no conditioner in the shower. i have very long hair so that's a problem.....for me, not most people. but i feel if you offer it then it should be fully supplied. other then that this place was great.

    « Excellent Highway Accomodations »

I would definitely stay here again! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the employees were friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the free breakfast, which is in a restaurant! I highly recommend the Sunridge Inn!

    5
    « A Great Stay »

The rooms, lounge (sports bar), swimming pool, and the hotel staff makes this hotel the best stay in a great little city on our way to Portland. The free breakfast that comes with in the room is served in the restaurant.

    5
    « Clean, good breakfast »

Slept comfortably; good shower; good breakfast included in the restaurant (blueberry pancakes, French toast, bacon, etc.); free wifi...only complaint is the loud shower from the other room can be heard; laundry room; ice machine...next what appears to be a truck stop; Starbucks nearby in Safeway

    4
    « Eastern Oregon Oasis »

The Sunridge Inn in Baker City is a welcome oasis for an interstate highway traveler, rooms are large and parking is convenient. This place gets a lot of business travelers during the week so if you need to stay in Baker make a reservation. There is a lot of history in this town, if you have time go to the local museum, see the gold nugget at the bank downtown, and for a good steak go a few miles up Hwy 30 to Haines.

« Great place to stay in Baker City! »

Way above the average Best Western! Garden and landscaping around the pool is lovely. The staff in both the hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful in every way possible. Good rate with AARP discount.

« Lost some of it's mojo this visit... »

We always stay at this BW, but this visit wasn't as nice as in the past. First, there were no cookies waiting for us upon check-in. The excuse, the kitchen is too busy! Second, no wifi in the room. The excuse, the service is down. Third, we asked for a quiet room. Instead, we were given a room on the first floor. We had to turn on the airconditioner to block the noise coming from the room above us. Finally, our server in the restaurant was too busy to be friendly. I suspect the restaurant is understaffed. Our complimentary breakfast was very nice and our room was very clean.

    5
    « Great! »

It was very pleasing to stay at a motel that was so clean and made us feel welcome! I got a referal for your establishment from a lady in a city about 60miles away who said she stays at your motel everytime she comes to town without exception The breakfast was excellent ! We had an exceptional waitress who made our day much more pleasant! Thank you!

    5
« Great Room for the Price »

We got in late after 12 hours of driving - was pleasantly surprised, the pool was still open and the lobby was friendly. Our room was really nice and we had a door to the pool. We did not get to stay for breakfast, but the coffee in the lobby was fresh when we left.

    3
« Average rooms but free restaurant breakfast & on-site bar »

This is a very popular Best Western with average, somewhat older rooms but an on-site bar and a free restaurant breakfast included. The included breakfast is pretty good with regular sized portions, free coffee, and good service. Be sure to tip the servers even though your breakfast is free! There's also an outdoor pool which is very nice. Missing some of the in room niceties. Toilet was older and less efficient. Overall though a good bargain. More motels should have this kind of breakfast. A great improvement over the typical Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn type continental breakfast.

« Our repeat stay as good as the last time »

We chose this hotel to serve as a base camp for us for three nights as we were riding our motorcycle trike and wanted to explore more of the roads in the area. We have stayed here several times before. This time, we met Raeganne, our receptionist, who was very friendly and gracious and helped us get moved to the proper ADA room (275 in Bldg 5) for us as the first one they put us in (207 in Bldg 1) was not going to work for my husband who is in a wheelchair and cannot walk. Room 275 had two queen beds and adequate bathroom/toilet area. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were so-so and hard to scrunch into a comfortable shape. We do pack one feather pillow for my husband just in case and we were able to adapt o.k. Even though it wasn't a roll-in shower arrangement, the tub had a hand held shower fixture so I could still help wash my husband's hair. Frig/microwave very handy for us and worked fine. Had trouble with the coffee maker for some strange reason and housekeeping staff were on it to replace the unit. The quality of the coffee packets -- below average and almost not worth brewing. The guest laundry was close to our room and very convenient for us to use. Even being close to I-84, we did not hear freeway noise. Only draw backs to this room location was it was the furthest away from the lobby and restaurant. And, their sidewalks had lots of unevenness between pavement slabs, highlighted in yellow, so you had to take care to watch your step and not trip. Didn't make for smooth passage for my husband and we often skirted the place and went around on the smoother paved areas. One evening they were serving complimentary sugar cookies in the lobby for a nice treat. Not sure if they do this every evening? I also enjoyed the landscaping and flowers in bloom. I have comments about the Sunridge Restaurant and will write up a separate review of that experience. The breakfast vouchers were good for select menu items. Portions were very generous, too. We got faster service ordering breakfast to go vs going to the restaurant. Worth the extra $1 to us to avoid a long wait and the noise.

    « Nice place. »

This placed allowed us to pay cash for our stay and hold a credit card for any issues. Nice place although showing its age. Mattresses were hard. My child said it was like they took plywood and spray painted it to look like a mattress. Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast at the onsite restaurant. I would stay here again.

    2
« lack of support service »

Room was nice with plenty of space. Problem was the support service: 1. Telephone did not work 2. No internet service (second time in six weeks at this facility Same excuse used six weeks ago. Would advise anyone looking at reservations to carefully check on internet and phone service.

    « Billiam16 »

Older Hotel, but nice staff and very comfortable bed. Great location near I-84 and convenient to downtown Baker City. I'm pretty sure I stayed here over twenty years ago and they have done a nice job of keeping it up.

    5
    « Outstanding Evening »

We stayed here enroute back to Portland, OR. The hotel was very nicely laid out. Even though there is a freeway and railroad tracks nearby, our room was very comfortable and quiet. The hotel restaurant and lounge both provide excellent service and great food. We will definitely stay here again.

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

Great Hotel. Clean. Well maintained. Every room with a patio or balcony. Nice pool area. Beautiful landscaping. Great restaurant on site with a good breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay here again. Our only complaints were that WiFi wasn't working and we were not told that when checking in. The description also stated the room had a mountain view. It was more of a noisy freeway and garbage container view. But overall the stay was great.

    5
« Unique hotel and resteraunt »

We have stayed here before and enjoyed. You do need to plan a little more time for breakfast, since it is not the traditional breakfast I the hotel lobby. You have the complimentary hotel breakfast in the restaurant so you place an order and then wait for your order. The food is good and made to order.

    4
    « First-rate, Bargain! »

Clean, well-kept, and up to the standards of Best Western inns, friendly and helpful staff, and a hot breakfast in their restaurant included! Several two story buildings arranged around a courtyard/pool. Moderate price for such a good hotel.Would definitely recommend!

    5
« Good value, great staff »

On our trip across the USA this Best Western stands out for value and great staff. The full breakfast, which was included in the price of the room, was excellent. We would happily recommend this property. This is what good value is all about. The staff were friendly and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. There are some 4 and 5 star hotels who could take lessons from these people!

    4
    « Very good breakfast! »

The breakfast at this hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Instead of going down and serving ourselves eggs and sausages kept in a heat warmer, and cold cereal, we were given a voucher for myself, my friend and her 2-year-old daughter to go to the hotel restaurant. We were given a choice of about 5 or 6 meals, from which my friend and I both chose the Early Bird Breakfast, and my friend got her daughter pancakes off the kid's menu. My friend kept raving about how good the pancakes were after taking a bite of her daughter's, and my eggs over hard and sausage were both very good. Our server kept our coffee filled and hot.

    2
    « Not worth it »

The staff are friendly, however the rooms are nothing to brag about. Free Wifi as advertised has been down for 3 days with no other accommodations, which when coming to town for business that would have been good to know when booking the room. I would have gone elsewhere. The fridge was unplugged upon arrival and for the third day is still making a bunch of noise loud enough to wake me over the AC fan. However a fridge was needed so there is no turning it off. Sound travels horribly through the doors. Parking is nice. Breakfast options are nice. But Wifi when traveling on business is a given and getting horrible sleep every night is frustrating.

    5
« Always Stop Here Even When It's Too Early To Stop »

Sunridge Inn has managed to accomplish that oh so elusive quality of feeling rustic while providing every amenity. I literally plan my cross country trips so that my first night eastbound and my last night westbound are spent here. It's an excellent value and they accept pets!

    5
    « Passin Through »

Beautiful place, well kept and manicured grounds. Lots of open areas with the pool and other open spaces. Restaurant and bar on grounds. Plenty of parking no matter what size your vehicle is. Can't go wrong here.....

« Best stay in a long time »

Room comfortable, clean, beautiful - the breakfast was awesome with efficient staff. Pool area was pretty with flowers and landscaping. A pleasure to pull in late at night and find such a wonderful place.

« Pet room smelled like a kennel »

If you are looking for pet friendly. This place has it but the room we were in smelled like a kennel on a bad day. Room was like a motel 6 but twice the price.Sonny's bar made up for it though. Good servuce, drinks and music. We will likely come back as it is in the right place along our route on our annual pilgrimage from the desert

« Nice big room with view of the gardens »

No elevator so we booked a ground floor room. Fair amount of noise from people walking around above. Roomy bathroom. Clean. Full Breakfast included at in house restaurant. A fairly long wait but it was a holiday weekend. Spotty wi fi.

    5
    « Holiday Weekend »

Excellent service from internet reservation to check-out. The check-in was quick and staff is very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable and the micro/fridge came in handy. The on site lounge provided very good appetizers and meals at fair prices. Servers were very outgoing and enjoyable. The weather was great and we did not need the heat/air very much. The little bit we did use it was adequate. Breakfast is at the on-site restaurant and the menu selection is very good. Select a lite or a full breakfast meal. Check-out was quick and, again, very friendly staff. We'll be back here again and would recommend Best Western.

    « Beautiful Baker City »

This property was an older property with new revisions to rooms and surrounding buildings. Very nice to have restaurant and lounge/bar to rest for the evening. My room was a bit small, but great for a good night sleep.

    5
    « Recent stay »

wonderful place to stay We have always stayed at this motel when we are in this area. the motel continues to upgrade their facility. the grounds are beautiful in the spring and summer with may flowers and plants by the swimming pool. the only reason we would stay someplace else would be if the motel was full and we couldn't get reservations

    2
    « no wifi »

Decent hotel with good staff, good restaurant and bar. Clean and quiet room with decent decor. But, the experience was ruined by no reliable wifi for the entire time I stayed there. Kept expecting management to get it fixed and it didn't look like any serious attempt was made to fix the problem.

    5
« Comfortable Room, Amazing Breakfast »

Although we've traveled past this city countless times, on our latest trip we decided to stop at this conveniently located hotel which had decent reviews. It exceeded my expectations on every front. Even though it was an obviously older hotel, it was clean and well cared for. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the water pressure was wonderful, and the amenities were great. But the breakfast was what made us decide that this would be a regular stop on our frequently traveled road trip route. There were generous servings of bacon (or sausage) and eggs, hash browns, french toast and other classics all served in different combinations on the menu. It was delicious and hearty enough to satisfy my family with teenage boys. And 400 miles later when my son realized he left his cell phone in the room, the staff found it and kindly held it for us so we could grab it on our return trip. Well done, BW Sunridge Inn!

    5
    « Great breakfast! »

This is a normal Best Western hotel.Clean, nice bed,big bathroom with great shower head, but what sets it apart is the great breakfast in their restaurant that comes free with the room! Also the main desk staff that work very hard to make you happy!Would be glad to stay here again.

    4
« One of the best in Baker City »

Staying five nights, the room was good sized, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly, a complimentary hot breakfast with a selection of 7 entrees served in the adjoining restaurant. Toiletries are provided by a wall mount dispenser. Only downside, internet connection is very slow and/or limited. Hot tub/spa was out of order, as it was being renovated.

    3
« Just fine for what it is »

When we booked our room online we were led to believe we would have a fridge and microwave, this apparently isn't the case as there was nothing in our room. Apparently they are not provided in every room. This is not the hotel's fault as it was a third party site, but why not provide a fridge/micro in every room? Not much soundproofing, I could hear just a bit much from adjoining rooms. Not to mention the people talking very loudly in the hallway at 2:30am and then again at 4:30am! I will never know if they were the same group both times but it woke us both up regardless. There were three, yes three, locks on the door. Which is unusual but kind of a plus in my opinion. The hotel/rooms have a cabin-like feel. Very clean but we wouldn't consider them updated. The handwritten welcome note from housekeeping (complete with two smiley faces) was a nice touch. Tall people will have no problem showering, the shower head is super high and has great water pressure. Appreciated the little basket of toiletry amenities. Good included breakfast at the restaurant next door. It was just fine for a one night stay.

    4
    « Friendly helpful staff »

I've stayed at this hotel for 6 weekends now and every time the staff have been friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located about a 30 min walk from the main town centre but it has a great bar and restaurant within the hotel so if you want to stay in its all there. It has a heated outdoor pool which was great for a lazy afternoon. The hot tub was not working in May but should be up and running by July. The rooms are large and clean with a fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Overall a very comfortable hotel and I'd be happy to recommend it.

« When in Baker City »

Sunridge is consistent, good bang for your buck, nice restaurant & lounge, and staff are friendly. No close-by attractions to walk to, so have to drive. Right off the freeway so easy to find, but also have to deal with 18 wheelers that often run their rigs most of night (refrigeration types).

    5
    « Clean Room & Friendly Staff »

Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and took great care of us!!! Would definitely stay again and recommend as a place for others. Restaurant served great breakfast from the hotel voucher!!!

    4
    « Friendly Staff »

This was a pleasant place to stay in Baker City with an attached restaurant, where the complimentary breakfast was served. The only downside was the lengthy wait to get served at the restaurant apparently due to a shortage of staff. The pool looked inviting, but did not have time to enjoy it.

    4
    « Good stay »

Good stay. Room was clean, bed was great, nice shower head. Free restaurant breakfast was great. WiFi in our room didn't work, I had 4G for my phone so not an issue for us. Sliding doors and patio were nice. Pleasant staff. We would stay here again. Oh, not all rooms have a frig and microwave so be sure and ask ahead of time if you need them.

    4
« Long day on the road »

Have stayed here before and found things the same. Staff helpful and room was fine. Hotel will need an exterior face lift before long. Time to dress up. City is on the move and this is good to see, new business's are a sign things are getting better in Baker City. Hotel right beside the freeway so easy off and on. Did not hear any highway noise and this is a good thing.

    4
    « Clean, friendly, & affordable »

Staff was friendly and helpful. Amenities in the room were well planned. The restaurant next door was convenient and good food. The beds were a little hard. Room was very clean and neat just the way I expect it!

    « Traveling through »

We travel back and forth between Washington & Arizona every year and we always stay at the Sunridge Best Western in Baker City. It is an easy distance to drive from Seattle and they have great rooms and price. Plus, it is a great place to stay if you have dogs. No extra charge for pets. They have a nice restaurant and we usually eat there. Also you get a voucher to eat breakfast there.

    3
    « OK to stay »

This Hotel has a great Location right of Interstate 84, but the Hotel needs some mayor updates, ie. the Bathroom and the Bedroom need a good deep cleaning, Stains on the Carpet and on the Chairs, painting the Walls and refresh the Hallway the Carpets. Also the Window lock did not work, fortunately we traveled with a Dog, therefore no worries.

    5
« We truly enjoyed our stay at Best Western. It was the best »

What a great adventure we had at Best Western. It was great. The beds were great and the food was great. We played cards and had a great time, even though the men won more games than the women. All in all it was a great time.

    « Quaint »

This hotel is not a modern marvel, but it is nice! Friendly staff, good breakfast and has a restaurant on site. My room was clean, spacious and has a little outside deck to stand on. If you are traveling and need a place to lay your head down for a reasonable price then this is the place. This hotel is also located right off the main street so you have access to restaurants, shops, etc.

    4
    « very good value »

We weren't expecting much, but the room was big & clean, the breakfast was far better than most. If you get a room overlooking the courtyard, you will be getting an even better deal (we overlooked a parking lot....) The courtyard is pretty.

    4
« Friendly service. Clean rooms. Bad pillows »

Stayed here on my way from Aspen to Seattle, the hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and the shower was hot and had good pressure. We didn't use any of the amenities like the pool/hot tub etc, but they were available. The hotel restaurant and bar serves breakfast and dinner, which was convenient and good, however I might recommend Barley's Brew Pub for dinner and a beer - 5 minutes down the street. The only reason I didn't give the hotel a 5star review is because their pillows, I would highly recommend using your own. The pillows were meatballs, small and very round, perfect for a sore neck in the morning. The beds were also very squeaky, any movement at all the bed was creaking.

    5
    « Great - fun place »

BW Sunridge is a great place to stay for family - on business or pleasure. The pool, hot tub, food, staff, location, convenience of computer in the lobby - everyone representing Best Western extremely well. The pillows are great - shower too - the room was a nice sized room on the second floor. Great view, quiet, cozy. Saw 3 mule deer in the morning - Everything was great - the bed, the pillows, the heating/cooling system is quieter than most, and all in all, it was a great value.

« Best Western Sunridge Inn, Baker City, Or »

The Hotel was very clean. Staff very professional. There is a Restaurant on site. We got to choose from a complimentary breakfast menu and had a really good breakfast, that we got to go to eat in our rm. We were very surprised at the large portions they serve! The Rms do need upgraded; but are very clean. Thank you Housekeepers for all your hard work! All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

« Business travelers: choose BW over the Geiser »

In order to escape the monotony and anonymity of business travel, I tend to eschew the chains whenever possible. I stayed at the Always Welcome Inn once, and it was great, and especially affordable. I stayed at the Geiser Grand Hotel once and thought, at many points, that I was going to go mad with rage at the downright mean customer service. (ONE OF FEW positives is that it's walking-distance to Barley Brown's, where you can drink away your emotions, though this tactic may backfire.) I came to this unassuming interstate BW on Sunday, expecting the usual bland experience I'm used to at chain motels. BUT! I was happily surprised and impressed! My room was spacious, updated, with an "always on" option for the AC fan (weirdly, a must for me), and had a deck overlooking a well-maintained courtyard with an awesome pool and huuge area to lay out poolside. Yay for them having an on-site restaurant/ sports bar with outdoor seating in the sun or shade. (And Barley Brown beers on tap! So there, Geiser!) My server in the restaurant was super duper nice-- couldn't ask for better service-- what up, Alyssa B! And I will tell you the truth now: I ordered a freakin' Ribeye... at a motel restaurant... (I am a Portland foodie/ snob, maybe you've heard of us)... why did I do this?!... Alyssa told me it was amazing... I believed her... I rolled the dice-- BOOM! One of the best steaks I've had in For-Ev-Er. For the Free REAL Breakfast that's included with your stay (!!!) there's a huge diner attached to the hotel, with sassy waitresses who are so sweet and accommodating... and quick on the draw with that pretty dang decent coffee! Man, I have to tell you, I have never written this much about a Best Western before. But this place really gets two thumbs way up from me! I'm a fan! It's the only place to stay in Baker, as far as I'm concerned. Oh! PS-- I travel with my dog, and they could not have been nicer to us. There is expansive room to roam and play, with real grass, and dog bags, and dog areas, and all that stuff-- my pup loved it! NOTE: both the literature and the hold message on the phone say that this place has a 24-hour spa. Maybe they will fix it/ remodel it one day, but for now, it is not open. ANOTHER NOTE: there is no elevator in this 2-story property.

« Great jumping off point for local activities »

Beautiful well-maintained grounds create a park-like atmosphere. Definitely a step above the average Best Western.Friendly service and a warm fresh-baked cookie upon check-in. Best value in the area plus a free breakfast in the adjacent restaurant. Yummy blueberry pancakes and a sweet waitress was a great start to our day of touring historical downtown sites and the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. Nice touches in the room like refillable body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower and a balcony. Very comfortable beds but the pillows were not so good.

    4
« Good Quality for the money »

Spent 1 night. Room very comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast had good options for hot meals. In the first floor rooms you can hear the people walking above you. Second floor rooms are very quiet. I would stay here again.

« Great rest spot for traveling in eastern Oregon »

I was in Baker City for a few days, exploring the area for a potential bicycle/camping trip for my friends later this summer. I have a new puppy and an adult dog. Both were welcomed and there is great place to walk them adjacent to the property. The room was spotless and in good condition. Restaurant, bar and pool too. Internet access included. I'll stay there again!

    « Lovely motel »

We've stayed here several times in the past 20 years. This motel is well kept, and with oasis-beautiful grounds and an adequate restaurant. However, it hasn't kept up with the times as our room lacked WiFi (even with extra charge), and we missed a mini-fridge common in many rooms now to cool drinks for travel

    « Another great stay! »

I was in town for my daughter's wedding, my parents live in Baker City and this wasn't my first stay at the Sunridge but it was my longest stay ( 4 nights). They are always consistent and pleasant to work with. The room was great with plenty of space. It was clean and had everything I needed. The bed was comfy. I made a request of the front desk on the day of the wedding to please have my room serviced early as I had to run errands and then come back and change for the wedding. This was taken care of with no problem. the breakfast included is at the attached restaurant so much nicer than a little breakfast room with yogurt and toast your own. We in fact reserved one of the rooms at the restaurant and had the morning after breakfast for 15 with great service and food.

    5
« Best place to stay with my little dog »

If you need a pet-friendly hotel, this is it! Sliding glass door to the outdoors and walking area close by. So convenient for pets and for bringing suitcases in through the sliding glass door. Have stayed at other hotels in Baker, but this is my favorite.

    5
    « spacious room »

My family enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I was worried about having a clean non-smoking room. The whole building was non-smoking, so there wasn't an issue with smelling smoke. (There were 4 or 5 buildings on the property.) The free breakfast was fabulous, but it was made to order at the onsite restaurant. If you are in a hurry, but sure to call ahead and get your meal to go.

    5
« Great place to stay »

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Baker City. The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable and the free made to order breakfast was great. we would definitely stay here again.

    « Free Internet??? »

Stayed here one night after visiting the local sights. The room was nice, the bed comfy, free hot breakfast included (from a menu in the restaurant) BUT internet never worked and no elevators (only 2 floors). Free internet not working . . . major disappointment! Don't say you have it if it doesn't work in ever room day and night regardless of the number of guests!

    4
    « Overnighter »

Hotel staff was very friendly when we arrived. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no fridge or microwave, but they did have rooms with them for extra $$. My biggest complaint was we couldn't get on the Internet at all.

    « Room - Good, Breakfast Experience - Poor »

The room was fine - comfortable, reasonably clean. Breakfast was very unorganized. Slow service. Poor management of incoming guests. We finally left when our order was not taken. It was disappointing. We had a schedule to keep and did not want to wait on and on. It hurt our experience at this location.

« Pet Friendly and Clean »

I was so pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the room! Also, I loved that the room was ground floor with a sliding door directly outside. This was very convenient, since we traveled with our small dog. Breakfast was good, although the restaurant service reminded me more of a Mel's Diner. But, to be fair, the staff probably doesn't see many tips since the breakfast is included with your stay. We left a tip that is equal to what we would normally leave for a breakfast. I would encourage you to try to take a few cash dollars for this...it's easy to forget. I would like to see microwaves and refrigerators in ALL rooms. Bed was OK. Pillows too hard for my taste.

It was a very good experience. Other then not having a fridge in my room everything was great. Breakfast was good. Everyone was friendly. Am not happy with having to write so muh. I am a person of few words.

« The most comfortable beds! »

We always rely on BW for the great beds. It is a bonus that this BW provides a proper cooked breakfast. So much better than the other option of self-serve breakfasts. We were offered a very spacious room and had parking very convenient to our room.

    « Exploring »

This is good hotel for staying in Baker, if you are exploring the area. The staff is friendly and well prepared to meet the needs of their guests. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. We would stay there again, if we travel back to Baker.

    « Good Stopover »

This was a reasonably priced, clean, a little dated, hotel that we stayed in on our way to somewhere else. It would have been quiet except the A/C unit above us kept dripping on to ours all night long - water torture! However, when we reported it the front desk clerk was concerned and responsive and was going to get maintenance to fix it right away. Very friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast was included and was served in their full service restaurant and was very extensive. In fact, we couldn't finish the huge delicious pancakes. Their onsite bar was a fun place and served tasty appetizers or full meals. Would stay again.

    « Everything GREAT! »

Check in was quick, room was very good. Everything clean, bed comfortable. Quiet room, if only some guests would make an effort to close doors quietly. (no reflection on hotel) Attached restaurant had good food reasonably priced with friendly servers. Complimentary breakfast was made to order. Overall a great experience, will be back.

    « Good location »

Different set up compared to other places. They have several 2 story buildings, no elevators. The room was clean and had good wifi. Pet friendly with an area to walk your pet. But when I asked if the rooms had refrigerators I was told it would be an extra charge, I needed one so I had to pay extra. I have never had a hotel charge for a refrigerator except in Las Vegas. Not a lot of choices in the area but they were clean and pet friendly just a little high priced for what I've paid for comparable hotels.

    « Great hotel »

Super clean hotel; great location. Was worried about it being so close to the freeway, but heard no freeway noise. Rooms are very clean, nice and big. We didn't take part in the breakfast, so can't comment on the food. But the rooms are great. Highly recommend.

    « Friendly/relaxing place »

Great service and good food for it to be included into the stay price! Excellent room and wifi. It was a nice place to stay with my family. It's the only place that I will stay while in Baker City. We will be back!

    « Very good value »

This hotel was very clean inside and the price includes a full hot breakfast in their restaurant. We had a minor problem with our TV on the first day, but the staff came right away and fixed it. I am very picky about hotels, and this one was updated (inside) and super clean.

« Best stay in Baker »

We stayed here for the Harrell/McKenzie Bull and Quarterhorse Auction. It's a great location, close to everything in Baker City. Make sure you include a trip to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, about 8 miles out of town to the northeast. Rooms are clean and bright, plenty of facilities available. They offer a great free breakfast too, with seven or eight different choices. Free coffee is available in the room, but also in the lobby from five until ten each morning. Our only complaint during this stay was the non-availability of internet service in the room. Some rooms in our building (#4) had spotty service, but we were not able to get any service at all. The lobby and staff were not able to remedy the situation, other than by offering another room, but we were not inclined to move. Limited TV channels, but acceptable. Another highlight for some potential guest was the Tesla Charging Station next to the hotel parking lot. Overall the best place to stay in Baker City.

« Rating Best Western Sunridge Inn »

For some reason the room was very cold and heater didn't help. Finally found extra blanket about 3 A.M. Breakfast was excellent and the wait staff were great! Our dinner there was also very good. Like being able to walk to a restaurant. This would be a great place for a family in the summer when the pool is open. Also, the nearby Interpretive Center is very well done - something for everyone.

« Great value, fun lounge »

I stay at the Sunridge every Thursday night and have done so for the past 18 months. An always friendly staff greets me and checks me out the following morning. The restaurant/lounge always serves great food in a very timely manner. Lounge staff is fun and the locals are always interesting to visit with. :-)

    « Don't stay here! »

The room was dirty and the service was terrible. They screwed up my morning wake up call. The person at the front desk was extremely rude. This is my first time staying here but I will never come back again!

    4
« Best of the Limited Decently-priced Options »

There aren't a ton of options here, and being right off the interstate this is a popular go to. It was a fairly average in terms of quality of the room, etc--but it was cheap, quiet, and clean which are all positives in my book.

    « Nice stay. »

A five day trip and it was nice to get back to the hotel and get some sleep. I had my own Wi-Fi, so I can't speak to the speed or connectivity. The room was warm when I needed it warm and there was no noise.

« "Best" Best Western Ever! »

If you want a totally "no hassle" hotel stay...this is the place! Very clean rooms that are spacious with super comfortable beds. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and professional. (Great cookies in the lobby at night!). The restaurant is excellent...highly recommend the prime rib if available! We choose this location each year on our business travel to the West coast! Great, great hotel!

    « New favorite hotel »

We loved our room and the sliding glass door that led directly to our car and the giant field to walk our dog. We even had free yummy breakfast at the Sunridge restaurant. We needed a crib for our 10 month old and they brought us a very nice, new Graco folding crib and extra blankets. Just remember to put the Do Not Disturb sign out or housekeeping will come by at 10 and at 11. We will definitely stay here again.

« Perfect in every way! »

Lady at check in very kind and helpful with showing us where to park, eat and where our room was. You park RIGHT in front of your room and when on first floor you have sliding glAss door access to your car. Room very spacious and very clean! Our room was not old or musty smelling as previous reviewers hAd said. We ate at sonnys and had very polite prompt service. I got spaghetti n meatballs, salad and garlic bread for 9 dollars! Large portions. Slept like a baby, nice and quiet. Had our FREE hot cooked to order breakfast in the sunridge restaurant with once again great service. We will be back and have saved Baker City in our Garmin ??

    « A Good Nights rest »

We had just traveled six hours and the last two hours over the mountains on packed snow and ice. We saw a couple of cars spin out and slipped & sled ourselves, so was more than happy to get off the road when we seen the "Best Western" sign from the freeway! We wanted a hotel close to the freeway, a good bed and a good nights sleep and that is what we got! Plus a free breakfast in the morning - Bonus!

« stopped in on our way through »

We checked into this hotel as it is in the A A A book..A very nice surprise, the front staff were very friendly, and efficient..The room is large, with 2 very comfy queen size beds, fridge, microwave, free WI-FI, flat screen t.v. and coffee maker.. And everything is sparkling clean. We will definitively stay here again..

« Big rooms, comfortable beds, great quiet sleeping. »

Big rooms, comfortable beds, great quiet sleeping. The heater was quiet. The beds were comfortable. The rooms are quite large. The people are friendly. We had a very pleasant stay. We left a lot of luggage in the car and it was safe.

    « Great customer service. »

Sadly we weren't able to stay here but Sarah the front desk manager took very good care of us when we had to cancel our non refundable, made online at some other websites reservation. We had to cancel due to family emergency and she took care of it right away and was very kind. I'm very much looking forward to getting to stay here with that kind of service.

    « A pleasant stay. »

Hotel is located close to the freeway. Very clean, and you can park your car adjacent to your room for added security. Staff were great. The restaurant was really good with a nice selection of home cooked meals at reasonable prices. If you have the pancakes for breakfast you better be hungry - 2 the size of the plate - Tasty. We will be back!

« Great deal in Baker City »

We stayed in a clean pet friendly room with reasonable rates and a complimentary cooked to order breakfast. Great place to stay if you are in Baker City, we would stay there again if in town! There are also plenty of places to eat nearby and it is close to historic downtown Baker City.

« Top notch BW motel »

One of the best BW motels and a favorite of mine. Friendly staff and a nice bar that serves food from the restaurant. A great value traveling during the winter months. Don't pass this one up. Highly recommended.

« Excellent last minute hotel »

I was so thankful for bestwestern.com. We had to book this hotel at the last moment because we were originally going to stay at the super 8 close by. Upon entering the super 8 we were bombarded with the smell of pet feces and something I could not quite figure out. We tried to cancel our reservation and find something close by. We chose bestwestern and were so thankful we did. It is very, very clean. The staff was helpful and so was the agent with bestwestern.com. And added bonus was the great free breakfast and the fact we could not smell any pet odors at all!

« Nice place to stay »

We have stayed here before, and its always nice. the staff is nice and helpful, everything is convenient, the rate is average for a Best Western. I would recommend this motel to any one traveling through or to Baker.

« Warm stay after a bitter cold day »

After watching our Granddaughter play soccer in LaGrande, we like to travel back part way to Baker City. Thus, we enjoy staying at this hotel location and the fact it has a restaurant and lounge on property. Our only complaint is that the rooms are terribly outdated and thus they have somewhat of a musty smell.

    3
    « Average »

This Best Western is only average even compared to their other locations. Rooms are old and this one doesn't even have a fitness room. They offer $8 pass to the YMCA. The front desk person wasn't very nice. The only saving grace for this location is their restaurant. I wouldn't stay here again.

« Nice Place to Stay with Good Food »

I stayed here on a late night trip, rooms are good but not clean. Food and restaurant are excellent with awesome staff. Chairs in room have nasty stains on them. But bed and bathroom was clean. Staff t check in were great and check out was okay.

« Great Place to Stay »

Older Hotel, but lovingly cared for and updated. Beds super comfy. WiFi good connection. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was good. There was also a South West Breakfast Burrito, I personally didn't care for but everything else was great. Would have appreciated the Bacon or Sausage Choice added for those not caring for Burrito. Excellent place to stay. On this trip we stayed both coming and going on our journey. I highly recommend this stay!

    « BW Sunridge »

It is more like a follow up on previous review (months back).I would stay here next time in town, nice property, friendly, professional employees. This time I choose a cheaper room around $80 just to see...to my satisfaction was OK less fridge and microwave, did not look much for them, did not need them. If you gone a stick around for few days get a room with a balcony and mountains view, it is worth the extra money. At check in you still get a $2.50 off drinks (one time coupon) at the property restaurant, very convenient, no driving and steak is good. Same goes for breakfast, same place ,a free meal voucher. There are 6-7 options on the menu, found one that I like but you can always order more from the regular menu. Interesting concept. Several other restaurants, truck stops and fast food close by.

« One night stay during road trip »

This hotel was great. Excellent customer service and amenities. The staff was also helpful in finding places to eat nearby as well as potential nightlife places around the neighborhood. Our stay was only for the single evening but we were treated as valued customers. there was also a complimentary breakfast available in the am but we chose to sleep through it.

    3
    « Dirty/dusty/moldy AC »

Although the room was otherwise comfortable (but ugly), the Heater/AC unit made my nose plug up so bad that no antihistamine or decongestant could remedy. We got no sleep at all. The staff and restaurant was great and we really liked the grassy areas and paths. If they fix the ventilation system, we would stay there again. The bed was comfortable and everything else was clean.

    « Comfortable stay »

Comfortable hotel in a really interesting little town along the Oregon Trail, this was my stop for the night on my drive from Park City, UT to Seattle WA. I was very pleased with everything (free breakfast from the restaurant, which was quite tasty! Far better than buffet-style!) except the internet, which I found slow and lagging in my room (building farthest away from the lobby). Luckily, I'm not constantly tied to my computer/phone, so it didn't bother me too much, but it would have been the cherry on top! Small amount of TV channels, but plenty of complimentary coffee and tea in-room.

« Great value stay and convenient too »

The Sunridge Inn is a regular stop for me. Each Thursday night I look forward to a comfortable and clean room at this Best Western in Baker City, Oregon. Besides having very comfortable beds, the restaurant and lounge on site offer very good food and libations. The staff is top notch all the way around. You can't go wrong choosing this property during your travels

« Two Spiders in my room! »

If you like spiders in your bed and on the wall, this is the place for you, and it is not even Halloween! The exterior of the hotel has unlocked doors and bad rust on the metal supports for the balcony.

« Good Place To Stay Off The Interstate »

This is a very nice BW with a good staff. The room was clean and the bed firm. They had good fitness equipment, and the breakfast was good. It is a quiet place to stay and the room cost was reasonable.

« Decent place but WiFi was very slow »

Spent one night at the Sunridge while visiting Baker City. We didn't have a lot of interaction with the front desk staff other than a brief visit to check in and out but they were nice and efficient. While we didn't use the pool it looked nice. The grounds were well maintained. I visited the bar/restaurant and it was good with a decent selection of beer & food. Our room was spacious and clean (paramount importance). The beds were comfy. Breakfast is provided by a restaurant on the property. I wasn't a fan. I prefer the breakfast buffets offered by other Best Western's and other hotels. You only get a few choices at this location on the house and if you want an egg, a yogurt and say a piece of fruit you need to order ala cart. While the quality wasn't horrible it seemed more like cafeteria food to me. One thing was bad ? the WiFi in our room. We brought our tablet with us and attempted to watch a TV program on demand. It was a 1-hour show. After 2-hours or buffering and more buffering we broke out the phone and finished the show over the cellular network. I'm not sure if their equipment went bad or if it is old and needs updating. Had the WiFi been good I would have rated the place 4 stars. All and all I could recommend the place with a forewarning that the WiFi is suspect.

« Nice place to stay »

The staff was courteous and informative. They were busy so check-in was a little slow, but they did not rush me through check-in and gave attention to each customer. We went mid October and believed the Halloween decor to be overdone and somewhat gross. We could choose whether to keep our downstairs room or to have a fridge/microwave and move upstairs so that was a little disappointing. We kept our downstairs room because we had a lot of luggage, but really appreciated the sliding glass door that we backed our suburban up to and unloading was easy. Overall nice place to stay, would stay again.

    3
    « Good Hot Breakfast »

The carpets in the room were dirty. I wore booties. The bed was hard. The room was very cold due to hallway door propped open. The hot breakfast was good. It was in a restaurant on the property. They didn't offer substitutions on the breakfast.

    « Great Value »

This property is dated but well maintained, clean and comfortable. The staff here are exceptional and willingly go to great lengths to make sure the guest stay is enjoyable. The property is located close to the freeway with good access. There are two connected restaurants on the property making it very convenient for the pass-through traveler. The property is also located a short distance from downtown Baker City providing plenty of opportunities.

« Great place to stay in Baker City »

Very clean and quiet place to stay. TV, refrigerator and micro wave in the room worked great. My 2nd floor room over-looked the swimming pool. Enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the free breakfast at the on-site restaurant as well as the complimentary cookies at check-in. Professional & friendly staff. Great value! I'll be back.

    « Meets expectations »

    « Good value »

Nice room, nice pool area, friendly staff, 12:00pm check out is nice. The free hot breakfast was much better than others I have encountered. The only minus is that the wi-fi signal was very weak. I would definitely stay here again.

« Fantastic breakfast ...Tesla charging stations in lot »

Just spent the night at this hotel. Having driven thru this area quite a bit, it's nice to know there is at least one good hotel in town. The others usually look old and run down. Room was on the larger size and I guess you could call it rather outdated. Still nice and clean though. Walls were a little thin though. Bathroom had the shower and toilet in one room with the sink right outside. Beds were very firm which we prefer. The hotel's center court area with pool was actually very pretty and almost tropical looking. Highlight though is the cooked to order breakfast. You're given a voucher at checkin that's good for free breakfast for each member of your party. You are given a choice of several different meals. Our choice was 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, hashbrowns, English muffins and glass of apple and orange juice. Clearly a $10 plus meal for each hotel guest. Not sure if it's actually on hotel property but counted 8 Tesla charging stations right outside the restaurant window.

    « Annual Trip »

Dog friendly with $15 non-refundable charge. We have a big German Shepherd. There is a grassy field area to let your dog out. Good complimentary breakfast in their restaurant. Great shower. The military discount was very nice, cheaper than the senior discount. Current or retired ID required. Easy off and on the freeway.

    « You won't sleep well »

Rock hard pillows are a problem. Super firm beds.. Bring your own pillow, get a big headache or skip the hotel. Ontario is only another hour or so down the road. Walls are pretty thin. Breakfast at adjacent restaurant is OK. Good Mexican restaurant in town, El Erradoro.

    5
    « Excellant Hotel »

The Amenities were very good Easy access from the Hiway.....I liked the idea that it has a full service restaurant and your Breakfast is included with the cost of the room. We also did not have to go looking for a restaurant for dinner - it was right on the premises. Not having the usual "Continential" breakfast was a big plus in my mind. It was a pleasant stop in the road after a long trip. Sorry, but it is hard to come up with 200+ words for this review We enjoyed it, it was great and so on and so on.
