"Large bath hotel with warm, noisy rooms and average food"
Ortwin, 10 Février 2023

This is a nicely located bath hotel. It is a bit old fashioned and focussed on relaxation. Lift is slow, bar closes at 11 pm sharp (even when it is full) and wifi is very lousy, so not a hotel for business people. Breakfast is okay with a very decent choice. Dinner (buffet) was not so good. Room is sufficiently large with a bit of a small shower. It has a nice balconyz, but no control on the room temperature and can be quite warm during the night. Walls are thin as I could hear the alarm or toilet of my neighbours. Hotel service is good as is cleaning and all the people present. A nice hotel for a spa and tourist experience. Not so much for business people.

"Business stay"
Baddggerr, 07 Décembre 2019

Stayed here during a business trip. Room was clean and nice and big size. Bathroom was clean but a bit small. The room was not warm. Bed was soft but not so good for me. Room had good equipment and a nice TV. Overall it was a good room. Breakfast had a little to few choice but Coffe was good!

"No Air Conditioning!!"
turbobird, 05 Juillet 2019

Hotel is older and dated.. insufficient power plugs, and worst: No Air Conditioning in the entire Hotel. This is Unbearable in summer. No Air Conditioning in the entire Hotel. This No Air Conditioning in the entire Hotel. This is Unbearable in summer.

"Best Western - Bad Mergentheim"
rjs808, 20 Juillet 2018

Outstanding hotel in a great location. Plenty to do in town or stay on site end enjoy the garden/park, pool, sauna and outdoor lounge. Great value, well worth the trip. Staff was extremely helpful, great service with a smile!

"Wonderful stay, exceeded expectations"
CapitolTraveller, 26 Juillet 2017

We stayed here for 4 nights in July with my toddler. We had a junior suite and it was lovely. Spacious, nice bathroom, great balcony and view of the park. Staff were lovely and patient with my daughter, food at breakfast and dinner was top notch, price quality ratio extremely fair. Especially for German and European standards access was easy, with elevators and spacious facilities and room. Do take the paid reserved parking if you need your car close by as the free parking gets full. Absolutely recommend and will stay here again!

"Nice park, but still a disappointing experience: mediocre level of this hotel, even lacks airco"
GinnegapLeusden, 11 Juillet 2017

Looks high-end from the outside and name 'premier' sounds promising but after two night stay for business (booked by a host company) I would not book again myself. Room is okay but lacks airco or ventilation, which is rather weird in such a hotel with American name. Catering is also not their strong point. Buffet diner was so mediocre we went for a restaurant in Bad Mergentheim town the second day. Breakfast is okay, to be fair. Lunch? Not possible, we found out much to our surprise. 'No demand', I was told at the desk. Maybe it's an idea to get a decent kitchen staff and turn the whole kitchen around? When we wanted to go for a swim in the hotel pool it was filled to the brim with children. School-swimming. Not just an hour or so, but all afternoon. Apparently guests come second in this hotel?

"An easy stopover"
sglt, 13 Mai 2017

I needed a stopover to rest during a longer road trip and spontaneously stopped at the Best Western late at night. I did not have a reservation and was very gently welcomed by the night team, check-in was quick. I left right after breakfast the next morning which was sumptuous and good. Very friendly staff.

"Comfortable Hotel - Old Style"
Peter-die-Grosse, 19 Octobre 2016

My wife and I stayed in the Western for six nights, our reason for visit was to have a wellness week using the "Solymar Therme" , A very up-market Spa with fantastic modern facilities, well recommended. The Hotel is easy to locate however parking can be a problem, We parked on the side of the road adjacent to the Hotel but with one eye on the need for a parking ticket which one would normal have to buy from a machine. We never did but was never issued with a parking fine, The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms are large ,nice modern bathroom and small terrace. View of the Kur Park and the fountains and the regular concert from the Wasser-spiel which was delightful. Breakfast was super, every thing you could wish for, good coffee and you could order a full English (Bacon, Eggs etc) if you wanted to. The area is quiet and peaceful You can just walk to the town across the park where you can find restaurants and shopping areas. The town is not exactly swinging and there is little choice of German Restaurants. However for me there was a black cloud on the horizon. At breakfast time, a time which i consider the most enjoyable time of the day. There was for the whole week, a guest who had brought his dog into the breakfast room and was feeding it under his own table. Now I like dogs, but they have a place in life and place is not around you at breakfast time, or in fact in the restaurant at all . It destroyed for me the clean, hygienic image of the hotel, Dogs were even forbidden in the Kur-Park!!!! Sorry it was a no-go, Even with this event, we had a nice week in the Western and would certainly go there again.

"Nice Hotel but showing its age"
teaki78089, 16 Septembre 2016

I stayed here on night in the room 426 (possibly a Junior Suite but I had booked a Superior room for 129 EUR incl, breakfast) What I liked + really friendly staff that cares about the customers. I have written this is some reviews before but I really felt in this hotel that they take customer service to the next level + Nice room with large sitting area + Large balcony + Separate bathroom (with separate shower and bath tub) and toilet... what a plus + Above average breakfast in a nice atmosphere + Large restaurant with several levels and a large outside sitting area + Free parking with enough space + Fast free WiFi + fast elevators + large surrounding park around the hotel + near the public transport system + there was some classic concert playing the evening I was there in the garden. Very nice. What I didn´t like - the hotel shows its age at several places and the outside building is quite ugly. - the view from my balcony was so unpleasant that I didn´t use it. Especially the large glass wall that is supposed to keep pigeons out of the balcony really is destroying any atmosphere - the mattresses are really old and are so heavily used that its hard to find a good sleep - no air conditioning - the hotel seems to be frequently used by bus tours for retirees. Therefore you have loud crowds of laughing female (and male) that keep you awake for some while. Also the buses seem to have problems to park so are blocking the only street that is leading to the hotel completely. I recommend to stay here if you are in the region.

"Normal stay "that works" but average style"
Tobi2902, 09 Août 2016

Stayed 1 night for business close by. Average hotel, rooms are big but very old fashioned. Could need some renovation and modernisation. Limited parking, on street only Drinks & food in evening ok but nothing special. Breakfast average at best, no fresh fruit only can fruit. Average customers seem to be on the older side, not a hotel where lots of young people and families stay.

"Nice Town"
Lisa C, 05 Août 2016

We stayed here for 1 night, en route to Prague from Frankfurt. The town that the hotel is in is picturesque and there is a lovely park that runs behind the hotel that is great for taking a walk. The room itself was clean and reasonably sized with a modern washroom and a small balcony. There is no air conditioning in the rooms so it was quite warm at night. We ate in the hotel's restaurant for dinner and it was delicious. The breakfast buffet has a great selection and we were quite satisfied with it. There is free parking but when we were there, there were also at least 2 conferences so we had to park on the street; overnight parking on the street is free but we had to get a ticket from the meter after 8:00 am.

"Nice stay"
Tanya L, 25 Juillet 2016

We stayed there just for one night. Hotel location is good, 5 min to local palace (Schloss). The room was big enough with a balcony and a park view. The bathroom was clean. The indoor swimming pool needs a bid more cleaning (the tiles, water is ok) and there is a lawn where you can lay and catch some sun after swimming. The restaurant has a good choice of food. The waiters are not always attentive (you won't get a cushion until you really ask). The dinner was tasty. The breakfast has a variaty of fruits (important for me) and everything else as well. The hotel has a free parking.

"Ok hotel"
philosion, 27 Février 2016

The hotel is pretty ok. The room is well appointed and includes breakfast and a terrasse. They have a spa which is also ok and clean. Lobby bar is quite spacious and good. The only thing I don't like is the hotel as such, it makes an "old" impression like something from the 90ies.

"Elegant Peaceful Scenic"
Robin R, 28 Novembre 2015

I visited this place on a business trip for a week. It took me some effort to reach this hotel on a Sunday night with very limited accessibility to cabs from the station. The staffs are polite and helpful. Rooms are big enough and well lighted. Breakfast was one catchy feature in this hotel with dozens of salads, cereals, fresh fruits, breads, and the menu goes on. The place was very peaceful and chill even in April with view of the Ku Park. You can just walk across the park and reach the townhall where you can find restaurants and shopping areas. The hotel also rents out cycles and its worth a ride in the park and roads. the parking area is just decent for a dozen of cars. The only issue I faced was the housekeeping staff kept my windows open and that invited a few bees in my room. I had to call them again and chase bees out in the evening. Hehe.. But 4 star for a wonderful experience.

"Relatively Large Rooms & Good Breakfast."
Steve N, 08 Octobre 2015

The hotel is pretty nice & the rooms are large (by European standards). The Breakfast buffet is large & varied. The hotel overlooks a public park where orchestral concerts are played in the afternoons & evenings. Parking is a little tight, though. There are 2 elevators for guest use and the only stairway (non-emergency) was from the lobby to the restaurant level. The hotel is a short walk to some grocery stores, if you prefer. They also rent bicycles. I would certainly come back.

"Just great visit"
Ronnie H, 30 Septembre 2015

We arrived to this hotel after we search for thermal Baths so we picked one who close down. The only thing that was quit curious is many old guests were there, it because the whole trend in this hotel is health, and it with local spa they have some salt baths and also the food and restaurants in hotel is great. The hotel is quite and all around with green and gardens. We enjoy the local thermal.

"Great hotel with great food"
matuskopalocko, 08 Juin 2015

This parkhotel offers not the possibilities for excelent stay in beautiful village Bad Mergentheim but also great german and also i ternational beverage with the offering of the best local wines. The asparagus soup or lamb steaks are the most delicious I have ever seen and eaten. I recomment to visit the hotel restaurant for a familly or bussiness diner or lunch. After great food you can go to the big beautiful park full of green and breath fresh air.

"Very good"
philj, 04 Juillet 2014

Got a very good 3 night stop deal with breakfast. Good quick reception staff & a very nice large room with a bath. Free parking outside but the free WiFi was slow. Good breakfast & helpful staff. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. It was 29c when we were there but the rooms dont get too hot. A good pool & sauna which was hardly ever used. The hotel hires out good quality push bikes & electric ones as well. The town is a 10 minute walk away through the very well maintained park. We enjoyed our stay & would use the hotel again.

"Posh but at a price"
Emily H, 31 Décembre 2013

We stayed here as part of a big road trip last year. The hotel is very nice with an enormous lobby and lovely cocktail bar. The pool and spa were fantastic and very clean. Our room was huge with bath robes provided and a huge bathroom. The bathroom mirror was the size of a small London flat! Big tv, big bed but all bought and paid for. We paid a lot of money and got what you would expect for that sort of money. So, you do get your money's worth but I wouldn't say it's a bargain. Overall, we were glad to have splashed out a bit as it was everything we expected. Thumbs up!

"Great Location, Wonderful Rooms, Quirky Wifi"
Gordon G, 22 Août 2012

Intended to spend only one night here between Wurzberg & Rothenburg while touring the Romantic Road but the rooms were so nice, the price was great and the breakfast was so yummy we decided to stay two. They didn't have any family rooms but they did have two side by side rooms that worked great for our family. The rooms were quite large by European standards and the hotel was a short scenic walk from the town square which had some wonderful beer gardens and numerous little stores for your every need. The pool downstairs was nice and basic and there is an adjoining courtyard in which you can lounge between dips. There is also a nice steam sauna and a few sunbeds just off from the pool area. The hotel is situated in a nice little resort area with spas and walks and cafes all around. There is apparently a waterpark nearby but it was closed when we were there so we never went looking for it. Breakfast was a full buffet with a wide assortment of baked goods, meat, fruit, veggies, juices and coffee. We all loved it. The only real downside to the hotel was the sporadic wifi connection which never worked in the rooms and was a little hit and miss in the lounge area across from the lobby. The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful whenever we had questions. Next time we decide to tour the Romantic Road we will make this hotel our base for a much longer stay, despite the daily drive back and forth.
