« Good location, quiet, comfortable, fabulous breakfast! »

This was our first trip to Austin. We wanted to be central without paying the high prices of the downtown hotels, and since we were going with friends, we needed two rooms.. We were not disappointed with our choice. This is one of the best Best Westerns I've stayed at. With a car, it was just minutes from the sights and clubs of Austin. The room had a fridge and microwave and a very comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast had eggs, bacon or sausage, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, cereals and fresh fruit. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

« Good value, comfortable hotel. »

Great comfortable hotel, excellent hot breakfast. Nice, relaxing pool area. There's entertainment at the lounge area on weekends. Hotel had security measures throughout. We will stay here again without hesitation.

« Great place to stay »

Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there was plenty. The room was very clean. We needed a place to stay just for overnight and the best Western plus was a perfect place for the night. There is also easy access to the freeway and it was in a good location which made it easy access to a lot of different locations.

« Close enough to city »

This hotel was clean and a convenient location to the city and activities without paying the price of being in the city. Front desk staff was very helpful and the property was nice. There was plenty of parking.

    « Location and Value »

Located south of downtown Austin, but easy enough to drive into downtown. Close to the SoCo (south congress) area where there are shops and restaurants. Hotel is well kept, common areas nicely decorated. Would recommend to friends looking to stay in the area

    « Great »

Customer Service was awesome. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely use it in the future. The check in was easy as was the check out. The rooms were clean and the complementary breakfast was delicious.

    « So nice! »

We really booked this hotel because it was affordable and the pool looked nice. In addition, the room was comfortable and clean, the complimentary breakfast had many healthful and tasty options, and the service was professional and pleasant. My husband remarked, without my prompting, that he really liked the hotel. Based on this experience, I will give preference to booking with Best Western Plus in the future, and would recommend this hotel.

« BW Austin City Hotel »

we stayed in room 310 and it was a king suite. Enjoyed the "lots of room", comfortable bed, and the huge breakfast items to choose from. Appearance of the buffet items was good and the food tasted great. Excellent options for every taste.

    « weekend with grandkids »

We have stayed at this hotel 6 times over the past 4 years visiting family. It's always been a well run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. From the front deck to room services. Large rooms with fridges and microwaves. Very convenient access to the highway and only 10 minutes from Congress and downtown. The included breakfast is okay. All parking is onsite with well lit lots. The plus for this hotel is the attached bar. They have bands Friday and Saturdays and with pretty low drink costs makes for a nice evening.

« A lot more style than the brand Best Western would suggest »

Location: The hotel is right off I-35 so if you have a car it's pretty easy to get to and from downtown. Also a fairly short drive to the airport. Facilities: Very modern decor. My room was spacious and I didn't run into any problems. This hotel impresses you with how everything is laid out. Definitely could pass for a boutique hotel and not a chain hotel. My only complaint is that the layout can be a bit confusing at first. Breakfast buffet: Hot items like eggs and hash browns were appreciated. There is a waffle maker and pancakes. Oikos Greek yogurt in a fridge. Crowded though, so I recommend getting there early.

« Good, budget friendly hotel »

I came to Austin for business recently. Most of the other hotels were either booked or exorbitantly priced because of some other conferences in town. I settled on this after reading the positive reviews. I agree with what others have said. This hotel is great for a great price. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. The layout of the hotel is quite odd. They give you a map at checkin and you need it. You can tell the rooms are old but recently renovated. They were nice. The bathroom is small but doable. Also, there's plenty of free parking and the hotel is about a 15 min drive into downtown during rush hour. Overall, I'd stay here again. Don't expect to be able to walk many places from here but driving was a breeze.

    « Clean & Quiet »

Was in town for an athletic competition. Place was conveniently located about 15 minutes from venue (Circuit of Americas) and right off I-35. Room was quiet, didn't hear traffic noise (but on pool side of hotel not outside) and heard very little guest noise. Room was clean and well maintained. Only quibble was that breakfast wasn't served until 0630, was hoping for 0600, so made for rushed eating since had to be at venue by 0700. Slightly expensive.

« Best kept secret is a plus... »

For over 10 years of traveling to Austin for work and pleasure this is and has been my favorite place to stay. The rooms are modern, clean, quiet and reasonably priced. If doing business, they have several large conference rooms to fit any size meeting or event. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The fact that many of the same staff have worked there for years not only attests to how they make me feel welcomed and at home but how management must take care of them. Which leads me to the title of my review. Like all hotels in this very busy city, finding availability is always a challenge. For selfish reasons I had hoped it would remain off the beaten path but alas all things must pass so book early!

    3
    « Not too shabby »

I was hesitant at first but this place is pretty nice for the price. I would stay here again but you definitely need to rent a car because there's no uber. The room is pretty modern and staff is very nice.

« Great moderately price hotel »

We stayed 6 nights at the Best Western Austin City Plus. The staff was great. They were very friendly and accommodating, especially Larry at the front desk along with Tara, Alec and Jose. The rooms were clean and the location couldn't be better. About 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes to Soco, the area on South Congress Avenue, with plenty of shops and restaurants. Downtown Austin is about 20 minutes away. These times are by car as we rented one at the airport(that is another story/nightmare). Cabs are easily arranged through the front desk and inexpensive for the short hop from the hotel to Soco. If you are planning to see the Alamo which is about an hour and 15 minute trip, the hotel is located just off of Route 35, a straight run to San Antonio. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here the next time we visit Austin.

« Best Western Plus Austin City Hotel »

Made a one night reservation here because I wanted to see an jazz concert that was in town and did not want to drive back to San Antonio that evening. Front desk staff was very courteous at both check in and check out. Reserved a King suite which had living room with couch, bedroom, a full bath in each room, and a television in each room. Suite also had small refrigerator, microwave, and ironing board with iron. Complimentary breakfast has excellent variety of items to choose from. We were impressed with the automatic pancake maker they had in use. It made some very warm, tasty pancakes which required only a press of a button. We've stayed a several Best Westerns in the Chicago area but this is a first time seeing a pancake machine in use.

    « Good Hotel »

Great hotel for the price,Very clean, coffee 24 hrs a day front desk staff was exceptional, was upgraded to a bigger room at no cost, able to check in at 11:00 am. Pool area was nice. Pool needed to be vacuumed green allege was just starting to set in. Breakfast was excellent again staff was on point making sure everything was replenished.Hotel is about one mile from Congress St. great location. Bar attached to hotel was good stops serving food by 8ish.Whip In is right down the street within walking distance.Good food many beers on tap and great selections of wines.

« Great Hotel For The Price »

Stayed at the Austin City Hotel for a conference, and had great room and service for a very reasonable price. Location is right off of 35, which made getting there easy. Will stay again next time I am in Austin.

« Came to our rescue after staying a night in the hotel of hell. »

Staff were so friendly could not do enough for us. Room clean, breakfast very nice, pool & laundry excellent could not speak highly enough of this hotel. Were very imformative in helping get around, plenty of off street parking

    5
    « Much improved »

I had a number of complaints during my last stay, but I decided to give it one more try. This stay was great. Very comfortable and quiet room, good service from the front desk, and despite the number of people staying, the breakfast bar was very well stocked with lots of variety. And there was nice attention to detail in our rooms. Towels were ornately folded in the bathroom, there was a real ice bucket with a lid and real glassware rather than plastic wrapped disposable cups. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the ice machine on the second floor is freestanding in the hallway and not inclosed in its own closet.....we could hear other guests getting ice while lying in bed. Not a huge deal, but if that noise bothers you, it's worth asking for a room away from the ice machine. Overall excellent stay, and we'll be back.

« Great Accommodations for our Wedding »

This review is for a 4 night stay from 27OCT-31OCT. We had over 50 out of town guests stay here for our wedding which took place in the Sunset Valley area of Austin. This hotel is NOT what you imagine when you think Best Western. This hotel is recently renovated, very clean, and has a modern theme that set the perfect vibe for our stay. Although the hotel is somewhat of a large maze (while still being handicap accessible), it was the perfect resting place for the guests attending our wedding from out of town. From the cleaning crew to the front desk personnel every interaction with this hotel's staff was the definition of Customer Service. Although we did not have our wedding at the hotel, our rehearsal dinner took place in the Walnut Conference Room and was catered by Dagar's Catering. All of which was coordinated by Tara Fritz, the sales manager at the hotel. Tara was a pleasure to work with. We chose to book a suite for the Bridal party for pre-wedding preparations (hair/makeup). It was perfect for our needs and was very convenient to have two bathrooms. Out of town guests from cold weather climates loved hanging out by the pool. The bar was a great gathering place for nighttime cocktails. Free parking and close proximity (rideshare) to most attractions was a huge plus. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. The only complaint we have is with regard to the coffee at breakfast...it's WEAK. This hotel really hit the mark for our wedding accommodations and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else. And on a UT Football weekend where most downtown hotels were well over $200 the $135 price doesn't hurt either. Thank You BWP you were an integral part of a very happy and successful wedding weekend.

    « Super Nice! »

We stayed here for our daughter's wedding weekend. The rehearsal & dinner were actually in the hotel & it was top notch. The food was very good & the staff was quite attentive. The décor of the hotel was very tasteful & modern. Every area I visited was clean. The breakfast had lots of options & was very good. Some hotels don't have a lot of seating for breakfast, but this one does. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

    3
    « Just OK »

My daughter and I were in town to visit UT and attend Austin City Limits (ACL Fest). We chose this hotel based on availability and proximity to Zilker Park where the festival was held. It was a 4 night stay. I should first say that ALL the hotels in Austin were completely inflated due to the popularity of this two weekend concert. Which is sad given that Austin hosts a lot of events, so they are clearly taking advantage of visitors. It is a highway hotel, which I am not fond of but I have to say that didn't affect the stay, because there was no HWY noise. I was first shocked to find out that this was a motel layout. Outdoor rooms. Not ideal when you are traveling alone with a minor. My biggest complaint was the noise of the residents and staff. We were given the 'last room' which was 1st floor and near the pool and near a door. Despite the hotels claim of quiet time after 10P, I was awakened throughout the night and early morning. Literally felt like someone was standing in the room and having a conversation. Flimsy doors and zero insulation. One morning I threw open the door at 7A to confront the talkers and was shocked to see that it was their cleaning crew. Having a full on conversation in Spanish directly in front of my door. Not even trying to whisper or be quiet. The hotel front staff were nice enough and helpful each day in calling us cabs - they reduced my last night stay due to the noise (to $99 for one night) which didn't make up for the over inflated $199 the other three nights!! I did suggest they hang a sign that reminds guests that despite being OUTDOORS, there are rooms there and should observe indoor voices or be quiet! Breakfast is typical hotel fare - only ate that one morning. Starbucks within walking distance. Ample parking. Pretty clean but outdated. Close to South Congress restaurants and shopping. P.S. It was a $25 cab ride to Zilker park. All highway driving and tons of traffic in Austin, not as close as I'd hoped.

« Home away from home »

We just love this place! Clean, comfortable, safe, modern, well maintained and very competent and friendly staff. Hotel is very well located with easy access to restaurants and S.Congress Ave. We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed.

Love this hotel!! It's a modern 60s style hotel really good MOJO! Staff is friendly great bar with bands and nice breakfast buffet! It was awesome! Convent to downtown and easy access to the highway. I would definitely come back.

    « Awesome hotel »

Great staff. Very conveniently located. Close to Downtown, South Congress, and the airport. Great value. Much less expensive than the Downtown hotels, but only 1.5 miles away. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, even has a bar/restaurant in the hotel.

    « Best Western Austin »

We were on a girls get away to South Padre and stayed here on our return to FW. This is truly THE best Best Western I have stayed in. My husband and I stayed in four or give this past spring and summer, but none as large or with the offerings of this BW. Will definitely stay here when I stay over in Austin.

  • 4
    « Clean Room »

I have been traveling for business for years and this was my first stay at a Best Western. I was pleasantly surprised. Room was very clean and staff was professional. I would recommend this facility to anyone traveling to the Austin area.

    5
« Great place, just a little pricey »

Stayed here 10/14/16. Hotel was nice and clean. The best part was the attached bar/restaurant, which we visitied during the evening/night. Great live music, really affordable drinks. Just be careful if your hungry the kitchen closes @ 10 p.m. and no one bothered to tell us that. But I would stay again.

    4
    « Surprisingly stylish! »

Almost always stay at Hampton/Hilton Hotels on business, but this hotel was reserved with a conference block. Very cool retrofit of an older hotel, extremely comfortable and good interior design in a convenient location near S. Congress.

    5
« stayed many times, always satisfied »

I have stayed here many times often in the case of large events ongoing, ACL and X Games, etc. and this has provided not only convenient location, but really top notch customer service. All employees are courteous and helpful but let you enjoy your stay without being ever-present. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Austin for events when prices downtown skyrocket (more than usual) and you still prefer to be a quick drive away from the area. On the SE side so still offers good location if your event is at COTA.

    4
« Good City (nearly) Hotel »

Good comfortable hotel. Great rooms, good prompt service. Excellent complimentary breakfast Pool area OK. Did have a gym, but we didn't have time to use it. Bar and restaurant looked OK, but we didn't use them (other than for breakfast). Location good for travel (right by I35 intersection), a little further out of downtown that we would have liked, took us about 45 minutes to walk to SoCo area about 75 to downtown. Taxi home cost $12 (with tip)

    5
    « great stay »

the hotel is very clean and quiet. staff very friendly and helpful. it is also close to bus stops that will get you to downtown pronto.7-11 right next door for munchie runs or for those with bigger wallets a Starbucks just across the street from there.Several dining options within walking distance.Continental cilub a little over a mile away.Hotel fronts I 35, but you wont even hear it.

    5
« Best experience. Great value »

I am so glad we discovered this hidden gem. Close to all the South Congress and Downtown action. Beautiful renovations. Really clean rooms and hallways. Staff was like having a high-end concierge. Free breakfast. Pool. Very affordable when you compare to others near-by. We will be back. And will recommend it to our freinds and family for future visits.

    4
    « Great hotel »

Visiting Grandson at St Edwards so this was in a great location. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The young man on the front desk, Placido, was very helpful as we were checking out. Someone who stayed previously had apparently smoked in our room and the odor was very strong. After spending time around Austin and coming in late in the evening we let it go as we were staying one night and with a music festival going on we figured there probably wasn't another room. Placido made note of our concerns as we did not want to get charged a cleaning fee for someone else's lack of respect. NO SMOKING is posted everywhere!! Other than that, the hotel, the room, the breakfast area were all very clean. Good selection at breakfast.

    5
« Great place to stay »

This hotel went above and beyond my expectations. The room was clean, the staff was great and super breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. I am not sure if this was a new hotel or a remodel but they did a great job either way.

    4
« Makes Up for the Location »

This Best Western is a little further south than I had originally wanted to stay. It more than makes up for the location with its value and the attached resturant/bar. It was nice to have a place with ample parking attached to the hotel you were staying in that isn't over priced as the downtown hotels. The staff was helpful in getting a cab if Uber was taking to long, as well as pointing out different events that were in town.

  • 5
    « Can't really fault the place »

Good, clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff, plenty of parking spaces and a hotel within easy reach of downtown. The breakfast is a typical American affair and could perhaps benefit from a wider choice of bread and pastries, but that's just nit-picking. This is an excellent place and we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay.

    4
« Great Value, Quick trip to Downtown Austin »

Unique hotel (in a good way). Couple of buildings combined, but very convenient. An old motel layout that had been cleverly updated to look and feel like a new hotel. Seemed upscale for a Best Western. Lobby sitting area was comfortable and quiet with a nice coffee/cappuccino/espresso machine. Enjoyed the independently owned connected restaurant/bar that doubled as a breakfast area. Breakfast food was above average and well run (automated pancake machine worked well). Staff was helpful and friendly. Very well marked common areas helped you find things quickly. Had room with King bed and sitting area. Bathroom was hot and AC took a few adjustments to get it right. Free parking just outside of downtown. Overall, very nice hotel, especially given the value.

    3
« Great Place , not crazy about the location ! »

I love BW hotels. Great beds. Big Rooms . Always smells nice and clean . Great Staff. Awesome breakfast . BUT , I need to be walking distance to downtown , so this location ( as with many ) dont work for me. . Pool is very nice at this property . Tip : ask for a ground floor room , so much easier . But never near the ice machine or the elevator !!!!!

« Great Stay in Austin! »

A group of 6 of us went to Austin this past weekend and had the best time. We can credit part of that with a great stay at the Best Western Plus on Oltorf. The main reason I picked it was the free parking lot. We rode down in a 40' motorhome and the parking is limited near the Austin downtown area. We lucked out with this Best Western. From the first phone conversation to the moment we checked out we were greeted with helpful and friendly staff. They have totally redone the hotel and they put a lot of effort into updating. The pool/hot tub area was beautiful, although we didn't utilize it. The breakfast offered a lot of variety of juice, fruit, biscuit sandwiches, bacon, eggs, waffles and fresh yogurt. The Blue Moon bar was fantastic and offered great bands that allow you to top off your night while staying "close to home". The restaurant closes at 10 so we never tried it out. Now for the only downside: not a comfortable walking distance to anything. We did walk to the bus stop about 15 minutes away, but decided we would not be walking back, as the entire walk there was downhill. On the upside, it's only a $10 cab ride anywhere you want to go. I would definitely stay here again, especially for the value-half the price of most hotels downtown. And if you sign up for the rewards program you get another % off, when booking directly through them. Clean room and comfortable beds.

    3
    « Not terrible »

Staff was incredibly helpful and nice, both at the front desk and on the phone. The room was nice and clean for the most part, but there were things in our room from the previous guest (something posted on the door, and a few toiletries). The beds were not particularly comfortable, the pillows were too firm, and the bedding was terrible. The blankets were slick and slippery and felt more decorative than practical. I slept under just a sheet for the two nights I stayed.

    3
    « Conveneint Location »

I have stayed at this Best Western many times over the years. There are a couple of issues that I have. The layout of the hotel: I realize that it is probably due to the fact that it is built on a small incline/hilly area. There are stairs throughout the complex and they don't all have ramps/ADA accessibility. There is one place where you have to go through 3 different doors (using key access) and go outside to reach the lobby. The outside rooms that face the pool can be quite noisy when loud patrons are in the pool area. All of their ADA accessible rooms only have 1 king bed. There are no ADA rooms with 2 beds...bummer. I do like the fact that this place is very conveniently located close to the downtown/UT area.

    2
    « Over priced »

I found this hotel to be poor value for money compared to similarly priced hotels. It had the feeling of a Motel with all the room doors being exposed to the outdoors and facing the pool. This meant that noise levels could be high as you hear all guests entering or leaving their rooms for the entire hotel. Also if any guest uses the pool (open 8am - 10pm) you will hear that too. My wife and I ended up suffering with many bites whenever we slept in the room. These weren't the usual mozzy bites you might expect in Texas, these were flee bites. I spoke with house keeping who said there is nothing they could do. Staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly.

    5
« Excellent stay, worth the money »

Looking for an excellent hotel that really has your stay and experience as their main priority.... well this is it. The staff will bend over backwards to make sure they can exceed your needs. Their rooms and beds are very comfortable. The hotel is centrally located in Austin to SOCO, 6th Street, and UT campus. You'll be please and with the service and will find value in your stay.

« Could be better, but they try »

This is an old motel that's been fixed up the best they can. Clean, modern lobby and some interior hall rooms but cinder block walls and dingy old rooms. The attached restaurant/bar is pretty gross so try elsewhere for a meal. Also, morning complimentary breakfast not too healthy - all carbs, prepackaged food, yogurt that comes out of a machine.

    5
    « Eat, sleep & swim »

Clean and comfortable room, quiet and with a view of downtown, large and varied breakfast buffet, refreshing pool, large cable TV, more amenities than I had time to use. We were pleased with the location and value.

    « Best Best Western »

Excellent hotel. Close to family and great restaurants on S. Congress Ave. Reasonably priced drinks at the bar and good live music. We will definitely stay here again. We stayed in room 140 and it was extremely quiet and dark Great for a restful night following a good time on on S. Congress.

    4
    « nice stay »

The hotel is a bargain based on the location. Food was Ok and they had live music in the bar. It not easy for a handicap person to get around due to stairs everywhere you look. I will stay here again the next time I need to stay in Austin close to town.

Lobby is really nice. Very nice rooms. Staff was nice and friendly. Rooms are clean. Pool is small but really nice. Breakfast buffet included makes this a great value. Good location, quick drive to downtown.

I have to Unfortunately report dishonesty of the staff. On charges of having smoked in the room we were withheld bail. 250$!!! I respect the rules of host even if I do not risk sanctions. i've never smoked in room as regulation the hotel. No one has warned us to Chek out, I discovered only four days later, when I checked statement. if you decide anyway to stay at these thieves, careful to check out. I will have a bad opinion of the Texan hospitality and I will take this in Italy. I am saddened by this

Definitely worth the money. Friendly staff, very good accommodations (room, fitness, pool). Great central location. Will stay here again. It's very close to downtown and there are great food options on South Congress which is probably less than a mile away.

« Super Close to the heart of Austin »

This hotel is close to downtown and to airport. It is a fine location- comfortable, engaging staff, great start with free breakfast. I really enjoyed walking/running through the area neighborhoods, and get a real feel for Austin! Close to parks, downtown, shopping and more. I wish I could have explored more!

Nice, clean, and close to the city. Breakfast was delicious. We were lucky enough to get a room on the third floor with a view of the city of Austin. Had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

We were moving my son in to his apartment in Austin, Texas for college and needed somewhere to stay over night. This was close, right off the freeway, clean, nicely décor, bar for unwinding after the move, breakfast, easy check in and easy check out!! We will defiantly stay again, when we come to visit!!

I just checked out of this hotel . I was impressed first with Placido the at the front desk. He was such a delight and so professional ,with answers to all my questions and with great ideas on what to do in Austin also the rooms were very clean ,I felt safe staying there because of the fine security this hotel has. All n all I gave it 4 stars the jacuzzi was not working and the water pressure was poor fix that and it would be five stare to me.

    « Pleasant Visit »

Good location, minutes from downtown. Nice pool area although the hot tub didn't seem to be working the nights we were there. Free breakfast which had a decent mix of waffles, pancakes, tacos and basics of eats toast bagels. Room was clean, however I felt like our ac only had two temperatures freezing or hot. Overall decent for a few days while visiting.

« Best Western Plus Austin City is great! »

Location to SOCO & downtown is awesome- driving distance but very convenient. View from hotel wasn't as good as we like, but that was the only downside. Hot breakfast changed daily which was great! Suite was nice, with 2 full bathrooms, great for families!

« Nice hotel near S. Congress St. »

We needed a hotel for just one night in Austin and picked this one based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. We had room 154, a handicap accessible, king room. It was good size and had an easy chair, desk, big TV w/remote, mini-refrigerator, and microwave. There was a long sink-vanity outside of the bathroom. The large bath had a roll-in shower, really nice toiletries, and ample towels. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We had complimentary breakfast with a large variety of "real" breakfast items, even waffles AND pancakes. Parking was free. We were right off busy I-35 and our room faced the highway but the room was very quiet. We were just a few blocks east of Congress St., the street with all the unique shops and restaurants. We thought this was a great place to stay and would stay here again on our next trip to Austin. There was not one thing to fault. Sandy (in Denton)

    « Great Stay »

Hotel was clean, modern and the staff were friendly and courteous. Beds were super comfortable. Pool was amazing. The best part was the complimentary continental breakfast : waffles, fruit, fresh yogurt, eggs, bacon, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juice. There was something for everyone. Perfect location to get to Zilker Park without getting on any highway. Going through neighborhood streets was part of the charm in staying there.

Services received from Hotel staff are to be commended, rooms are very clean, fixtures & amenities in room were all properly functioning, enjoyable stay with my daughter, perfect location to proximity to downtown Austin, breakfast food was excellent, Great value - will definitely return for another stay. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. The room was great and very clean too. The free breakfast was the best I have ever seen; a variety to choose from; the Texas shaped waffles were huge. Everything was great. Customer service was good. The remote did not work and service came and fixed it right away. Will definitely stay there again.

We have stayed here several times and keep coming back. It's consistently clean, prices are good, beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good too. It's an older hotel but has been updated. It's just a few minutes from SOCO.

This is a really nice place to stay but you needed a car (We didn't have one). Room was clean and comfortable and nothing we didn't like. Dennys restuarant over the road, and Blue Moon bar on the property. Very nice vibe, good bar service and band on Sat night. Breakfast nice but only goes till 9.30am. Bus stop not too far away but long wait between buses. service station over the road as well

« The BEST Best Western! »

We stayed here on a recent trip to Austin, and chose this location because it was conveniently located to where we would be going. That said, let me say this..."I'm impressed!" The decor is updated and contemporary, yet still welcoming. Our room was good sized, comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. It's also the BIGGEST Best Western I've ever stayed at. The only amenities we used were the wifi (which had a strong signal and stayed connected) and the complimentary breakfast. The breakfast experience was the only drawback to our stay. Breakfast is located in a bar/lounge/restaurant within the hotel, so I had high expectations. The reality was a line of people trying to get into the restaurant, which had the food set up RIGHT inside the door. So you have people running in circles getting plates/bowls to come back for food, people returning for seconds, people trying to exit...just a big mess. While waiting in line, we see all these "menu items" on the wall, like breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, etc. NOW I'm getting excited! BREAKFAST TACOS! Yeah...WRONG! Individually wrapped biscuits, scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon.and sausage. :-( What a letdown! Now I spot the obligatory Texas-shaped waffle maker. Score! One person in line ahead of me, and other finishing up. I'll wait! Big mistake. Those people were making multiple waffles. Really? How rude! {Wake up, BW...you KNOW we love our Texas-shaped waffles! Buy another waffle maker!} Then I saw something I'd never seen: an on-demand pancake maker...just press the number of pancakes you want and VOILA! That was pretty cool! The downside was that the waffle maker, pancake maker, and bread assortment with toaster were all in the same small, congested area, so you got jostled around while you stood there waiting. Now I have food...and there's nowhere to sit. All the tables are occupied. (This is a BIG Best Western!) {Sigh} Now I know why I saw so many people LEAVING with food...there was nowhere to sit. Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel. Just be prepared for the traffic jam at breakfast, and pick up a tray (they're on the shelf below the plates) to easily carry your food out of the restaurant and find a place to sit.

« Stylish Hotel with Easy Access »

Affordable, clean, and convenient location. We were first to arrive each morning for breakfast and were impressed by the quantity and varied food options. The small refrigerator in the room was a very nice convenience. Parking was free and easy. Unfortunately we had an issue with noise. Not sure if the doors/ walls are not sound proof enough, or if the other guests were just extra loud. After exhausting ourselves with fun on the lake, we return to the hotel greeted by maintenance shampooing, vacuuming and using fans to dry the carpet in the hallway outside our door. One night guests above us were very loud, which sounded like a pogo contest, and the second night guests in the room next to us had a karaoke contest. Next time we will invite ourselves to the party instead.

« Stay at Best Western Plus »

Nice stay at this hotel, but there are no other brands of BW in Austin, just only two . The A/C was not working, but the front-desk immediately attended although he cannot fix the problem, gave us 5,000 points.

« It was just ok »

Been all over and will rate this as ok. Not super clean. Beds are small and 6' off the floor. Pool was great but not at all ada friendly. Wifi stunk as bad as hallway which smelled a bit moldy. Probably wouldn't stay here again unless I had no choice

    « Simply perfect! »

Checking out today after the first stay of our 2016 vacation. What is not to love! ...Clean, has a feel of maybe a more 'high profile' residence or chain. The hotel sits right on the I 35 freeway with easy access both north and south, ample parking and a delight of a girl who checked us in. Room really nice and we'll appointed with all that you need including a more than adequate bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was amazing with everything we had ever had within in other similar hotel stays in America! Pool really nice and yesterday's brief encounter within her felt like a 'hot-tub' the water was so warm. Great sleep from the comfy beds and black-out curtains were welcome, particular'y after being up 27 hours from home to bed time. All in all a stay about to end without a single negative ...San Antonio the bar is set nice and high!

« Good stay at Best Western »

We had a great stay the this hotel. If your driving it is a good place to stay since it is on the highway but it is just a short trip downtown and well worth it for the money. The room was very nice. Great bed great bath and good internet. Hotel is clean and well decorated with good service.

« Great stay in Austin! »

This Best Western served the best breakfast that my children & I had on our trip to Fort Worth + Austin this summer of 2016. The pool was great; the room was beautiful and clean; the staff were very helpful. No complaints, other than it was a little tricky to figure out how to enter the hotel parking lot, as the entrances are from a one-way street or right off the highway/service road.

    5
« very clean hotel, excellent breakfast »

We stayed here for my daughter's tour UT visit. It is about 20-30 minutes with lights to get to San Antonio Street Parking Garage, but if you take freeway probably quicker. Very Clean hotel, excellent breakfast with waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, biscuits, fruit, cereal, granola bars, pastries, boiled eggs, coffee, juice, breads, cinnamon bread, bagels, etc.

« Close to downtown action yet far enough away from the downtown traffic »

Enjoyed our three night stay here recently. The staff was very welcoming and the lobby was classy - recently redecorated. This property is an old motel, but has undergone a renovation. The room was really nice - only one problem, which we addressed with the front desk on leaving. It wasn't a dealbreaker. There is a fridge and coffee pot, an iron, a blowdryer in your room. The complimentary breakfast was amazing! Something for everyone - fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, pancakes (with a cool pancake making machine!), cereal, toast, muffins. Hot bar was bacon, eggs, omelettes, flour tortillas, salsa. Good staff, great price. Parking is free. Short drive to the convention center - we saved $$$ by staying here!

    « Quick overnight stay »

Stayed one night here and was pleasantly surprised. Front desk was very friendly and quick. The decor of the entire hotel is updated and fresh while maintaining a little retro vibe due to the building itself. The room was clean and updated. My only complaint is that I didn't find the beds or pillows very comfortable. I didn't use it, but the fitness center looked nice and even the laundry facility was one of the nicest ones I've seen in a while. The free breakfast was excellent. I loved that there were sausage biscuit sandwiches and bean burritos in addition to pancakes, waffles, and the usual free breakfast selections. We had to leave early so it was great to grab them and go. The location is close to Congress Ave and other activities. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would definitely return.

« Nice restaurant and bar on premises »

We were attended to by a very helpful young man. I asked about a scenic area I had heard of and he was kind enough to print out directions to make our drive easier. Our room was very clean and was ready upon early arrival! Yay a pet friendly hotel with an awesome breakfast buffet to top it off. The hotel also has a bar and restaurant and on Friday night there was live music! Totally great place to stay! I cant wait for my next visit to Austin!

« First Time in Austin »

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly, our room was clean and the breakfast offered quite a variety as far as continental breakfasts go. This was a great place to stay for ease of access to SoCo and downtown. The hotel is right off of an access road to the highway and at first I was a little apprehensive because of it. We didn't notice the traffic while in the room, so it was a non-issue. We would definitely stay there again the next time we come to Austin.

    « Family Wedding »

First time at a Best Western and we were very pleased with this hotel. We received a family rate and had rooms together, which was great. The breakfast was delicious and had a very nice variety of hot and cold meals to choose from. Our room was spacious with a nice size refrigerator and microwave, plus a coffee maker. We used the Cappuccino machine in the lobby many times - great! The pool was great too and a necessity with the hot weather in August. Great location to get around Austin The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel!

Great location. Terrific restaurant/hot breakfast. We usually stay at the La Quinta because we can leave our low maintanance dog unattended in the room. Not always the case at the BW. This location had a more liberal dog policy and it worked great for us. Definitely go see the Austin bats at sunset. Hotel was one of the chains nicer ones and we would stay there again

Just returned from the BWPAC hotel yesterday. It was an excellent stay. The staff is phenomenal. Larry and Placido. As well as others. I travel a lot and I really like this place. Breakfast is great. Blue moon bar and restaurant are great with a great staff also. Good drinks and reasonable prices all around. The property is very well maintained. Inside and out. I walk a lot and was glad there's stores and restaurants nearby. The hot tub wasn't working during my stay, which was a key reason in my booking. But hey. Things happen! I'll definitely return to this property on my next visit to Austin. Thank you ' s to the staff again. Excellent.

« Austin Best Western Plus hotel »

This best western plus is in a great location for getting around Austin. The breakfast was great and the price was a very good value. Our only concern was noise from guests attending a family reunion. We did not call the front desk about it but next time we will ask for an upper level or interior room. We would stay here again.

    « Small rooms »

« Great Place to Stay »

Wanted to stay in a place close to SoCo and my family, so we picked this Best Western. It is very convenient to all of SoCo's offerings. The hotel staff here is very friendly and helpful. We found the rooms to be fresh and clean. The beds and linens are so comfortable and everything looked brand new. We loved our room. We had a room that faced the pool. It was really quiet and close to the elevator and parking. They serve a full breakfast with lots of choices and hot and cold options. They have both a waffle and a pancake maker, eggs, sausage, bacon, omelets, cereal and much more. This hotel is green. They recycle. Always a plus. We really like this place and will definitely stay here on our next visit to Austin

« Great Place to Stay »

My family was helping my grand daughter move back to Texas and we needed a place to stay close by. We chose this hotel because of it's rating on TripAdvisor. It did not disappoint. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful from check-in to cleaning the rooms to checkout. The rooms were very clean and everything was really nice. The furnishings are new and the bed was fantastic. I wish I knew what kind of mattresses they use. Everything was in working order; AC, microwave, fridge. I was really glad to see that they recycle. The only thing that I did not like was the breakfast. I am one of those people that like organic, all natural food. They had a large selection of all breakfast items, most most of it was name brand GMO food. If they are serving organic, I would like it to be labeled so. They did have raw sugar. We will definitely stay here again when visiting my grand daughter.

    « I want to go back! »

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and loved it so much we were so sad to check out. The breakfast buffet was EVERYTHING and the staff were very friendly. The hours were decent and the food was well stocked up and I loved the variety! Breakfast tacos, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, 3 juices, coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit medley, pastries, I mean it catered to anyones breakfast need. I loved the idea of the bar/restaurant inside which came in handy for when you wanted a night out but didn't want the whole 6th street kind of scene. The bartenders were awesome and they even opened up the dance floor for my friends and I to sing a little karaoke. The pool was very nice to lay out at and I loved the fact that it went to I think 8ft deep. There is a hot tub as well and they have towels sat outside the pool area for your use so you can leave your room towels inside and not have to request more. I really wanted to check out the fitness area but I didn't make it lol. It did look small but nice and well kept. I didn't like the idea of pets not being on one floor or just in one area, and I don't know if that's the norm, but our room was next to someone who had a dog and my partner is severely allergic to animals so we were takin back by that. I feel like there was sort of a pet odor as well in our hall but it didn't alter our overall opinion of the hotel stay, just an observation. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it.

    « Nice place.... »

We stopped here overnight on our way to South Padre. The front desk staff was excellent.. Friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and was the small lounge and restaurant. The wait staff was also very pleasant.. Our room was clean and up to date. However, we found the layout of the hotel strange.. The elevators were very tiny... Yet the luggage racks that were so large,it was a tight squeeze.. You and the cart... no one else.. Plus, when you got off the elevator, you had to go up three steps to get to your room facing the pool area... Couldn't take the lugguage cart up the steps to drop off your luggage. Also, we found it very confusing to find our way around once you left the main lobby.. Wonder how handicapped people could get around... It was a nice place and I would stay there again, but poor floor plans...

« A great place to relax and regroup. »

I was traveling with my son through Austin and we decided to stop at Best Western on a whim to give it a try. Not only were the people at the front desk extremely helpful and friendly, but the room was immaculate, the pool very enticing, and the breakfast was as plentiful and as nutritious as it gets. My only regret was not staying longer!

« Very good for the price and location »

This was my first family vacation with my husband and our 1 year old daughter. When we got to the hotel everybody was sick of being in the car and we just wanted to lay out and relax... There was an issue with us trying to check in and we were in the lobby for an hour; and the kid behind the counter was very disrespectful and snide, making comments like "Maybe you should go to a motel 6." his name was Alec. We got to our room and settled in and it was very nice and clean, except our fridge didn't work the whole time we were there. Breakfast was super early for us (6am - 9:30am I think) so we only made it once but it was very average hotel breakfast, nothing extraordinary. The first night we found a cockroach in the tub and I noticed a dead one by the pool on our last night, but other than that I enjoyed it and felt very comfortable. Kid friendly and dog friendly (which my daughter loved). Ps. The maids were too bomb. The most friendly and nice people. We loved them and they did a Damn good job.

This hotel truly deserves 5 stars. It is extremely clean, the breakfast is unusually varied with real food, the grounds are well kept, the staff is friendly, and the pool area is wonderful. The air conditioning fan blew cold, but it was easily blocked by moving a chair between the bed and unit.

    « What a nice hotel »

This hotel was perfect! The location was easy to get to, right off of i35. It had a cute pool which was nice a cool on the hot days and nights. The room was perfect, the coldest a/c which was so perfect after a hot day of exploring and the beds were clean and so comfy. Everyone that worked at the hotel was courteous, professional and very friendly. The only subpar thing was the breakfast as it was very small and very crowded with so many guests. I would definitely stay here again though!

    5
    « Great Location »

We went to see the Bats and the 4th July Fireworks on the river, and this hotel was perfect. Easy to find and easy to get to the event. Rooms were clean and large. The breakfast was one of the best we have seen in a hotel of this category.

    5
« Very modern with spectacular breakfast! »

Private area though just off I35! Great rooms in modern design! Breakfast was so much better than any other continental included I've ever had! Easy access to South Congress shops and events. I highly recommend!

    « Terrible layout! »

I would not stay at this location again because of the crazy layout of the hotel building. If you have any sort of handicap or ailment like bad knees or feet, you'd only be able to stay on the first floor. The elevators are very small! Only one person and a luggage cart will fit inside. If you stay on the 2nd or 3rd floors, the luggage carts will only help you getting the bags from your car, to the elevators, because once you get off and through the next door, there are steps you have to go up to getup the rooms. Walking through the lobby is a series of up and down between flat spots and more stairs. The hotel layout is horrible! Every guest we saw had the same look of confusion as we did. It just makes no sense and it complicated. It's a maze! The staff was friendly but that was about it. If hate to see a fire occur in the hotel because no one could get out of there!

« Great hotel, great location »

We stay in alot of best westerns & this is one of our top favorites. We got a suite, which was in the back of the building on the top floor. We had a separate bedroom w/a full bathroom & a nice living area w/another full bathroom. That was a nice surprise. It was extremely quiet. The included breakfast was great, biscuit egg cheese sandwiches, breakfast tacos & a whole lot of other stuff. The pool area was nice w/lots of beach towels. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Great Stay »

My partner and I stayed here for the first two nights of a six-night stay in Austin. The hotel exceeded our initial expectations in that it was more sophisticated than what you might expect from a Best Western. Our room was large, clean, and had a nice view. Staff were very friendly and helpful: when the room we originally booked was unavailable, they upgraded us for no extra charge without hesitation; when we had a small issue with an adjacent hotel room partying extra loud late into the night, they addressed it immediately in a very professional manner; and they were always super prompt with taxi services. Breakfast both mornings were great, a full continental spread. Overall, we had a great experience, would stay there again, and would definitely recommend.

« Close to highway, and downtown. pleasantly surprised »

I just finished staying at this hotel for several weeks. The service is great, the staff is wonderful as well. Because of my extended stay I don't get housekeeping everday, so they call me every few days (will call my cell if im not in room) to see if I need more towels or anything else. free breakfast buffet is good as well. standard breakfast pool is in a good loc, and hot tub is great as well. i have 2 complains I stay at so many hotels, 1)that the door does not close on its own.most hotels ive stayed at have doors that close on their own, and ive done it a couple times where i come in and forget to close the door. 2) for the buffet, when they serve the butter in the morning, the butter is served frozen, and this is the single thing i cannot stand the most is frozen butter and is impossible to spread shower has good pressure as well.

    « Pleasnt Surprise »

This hotel is close to downtown and easily located. It is the largest BW Hotel, I have stayed in. The double rooms are only full sized beds and there is not as much room as usual in a BW room. The amenities are all there and a very helpful and caring staff. The pool area is very nice and offers a spa, pool and a wading area as part of the pool. I was given a website to check out in and was unable to obtain my receipt at checkout because I was unable to access it. Maybe confusing.

    « Outstanding staff »

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by fantastic staff. They took time to explain to us the best points of interest, and marked them on a map. They even called the room 15 minutes after we checked in to make sure it was OK. I have stayed in many hotels across America but this one had the most welcoming staff and it was clear that they wanted us to get the best out of Austin. Rooms are clean, tidy and we had room 107 which is feet away from the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. There is a 7 11 store next door and a petrol station. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which remain open until about 2am and a good prices. Reception can arrange for a taxi for you to get to 6th street which has the bars and music for about $12. You won't be dissapointed if you stay here.

    « Very Good Staff »

While in Austin to work with a company for 2 days I stayed at the Best Western Plus for 3 nights. While checking in I noticed 2 buses arriving with a youth group. All I wanted from my stay was a good night's sleep and I was concerned that might not be possible! After checking into one room which happened to be in the part of the hotel where most of the group was staying I went downstairs and spoke with Alec. Alec was very helpful. He made me feel like my concerns were his. He showed me a room that was a bit removed from where the youth group's rooms were. It fit the bill. Alec then helped me move my things to the new room. When I saw him later in my stay he asked how things were going. Alec made my stay very good! FYI the hotel itself is a little old but has been made over into a quirky hip manner. Sort of a very Austin fun feel.

« Very Welcoming and Convenient »

The staff was very friendly and can't beat the location. We got to and from our destination without any hassles due to having a convenient location. Hotel staff made sure everything we needed was available and in our best interest. Overall, great hotel!

Staff was great! The hotel is clean and really comfortable! I can't emphazise how great the staff was. During our check in they gave us great advice to tour the city and during our check out they call us to remind us the check out time 15 mins before.

    « gem on Austin's southside »

decent price, great breakfast, quiet room. We thought we had left something and called back. Larry took our number and checked with the maid staff and a few minutes later called us back to say they did not find it. The call back was unexpected and very appreciated. Moments later our daughter called to say she had found it at her house, so we had a very happy ending to the episode.

Hubby wanted to go to Austin and I was not going so i found this hotel and called to make sure of location rooms etc. The staff was super helpful and made sure he was checked in and taken care of in a very timely manner. Room was nice , location convenient and staff again couldn't have been more helpful.

    « Comfortable & Convienent »

I was suprised how nice and clean the interior of this hotel was. From the outside, it looks like an apartment complex but the rooms are roomy, clean and nice. This hotel is also close to downtown Austin and to the airport as its located right off I-35.

Great value, awesome hotel. The pool is good for little ones, loved the baby pool section. Breakfast was the best we have had at a hotel. Lots of options. Beds were comfortable. Close to many attractions. Friendly staff. We will come back for sure.

    « The Best Ever »

This is the BEST hotel I've stayed in since choosing Best Western hotels on my travels. Will definitely stay there again when in Austin, and just can't say enough about this hotel. The rooms were well taken care of, very clean and well maintained. Hotel is just off Interstate easy to access off and on highway. Rudy took care of me before I arrived and during check in. His attitude was awesome which is hard to find these days. You can't go wrong with this hotel, top notch in comfort and service.

« Dependable and Perfect for Every Trip »

Firstly, Best Western is one of my family's favorite hotel companies. The rewards programs have always really benefited us. This hotel in particular is a staple in our trips to Austin. We've come to know the staff and our way around the hotel. The pool and hot tub area is very well kept not to mention an 8 foot pool is always rare in hotels. The rooms have never left anything to be desired and sometimes we've been lucky enough to get an upgrade to one of the very spacious suites. The restaurant attached also does a great job of breakfast in the morning. One of our favorite things is to walk through Travis Heights, the neighborhood behind the hotel, and walk to Curra's grill. The houses are beautiful and the food is great too!

« Good location, good value »

This is a good hotel for the value and the location is good if you do not want to be in the downtown area. Downtown is only about 10 minutes away so it was not an issue. It is nice that the hotel has a restaurant/bar attached. The hotel uses the restaurant premises to serve breakfast. On Saturday evening, there was even a live band playing. A nice little plus! I did not use the pool, but it looked nice and clean.

« A really nice place to stay »

This is a really nice place to stay, plus the pool and hot tub was great after a long day in the sun. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. The Blue Moon Bar & Grill that is connected to the hotel was great food at good prices. Plus they had a awesome complimentary breakfast buffet. Would differently stay again if in the Austin area.

« Great place to stay »

This hotel was very nice. The internet and the television both worked great, the breakfast was nice, and the rooms were extremely clean and nice. I was on the Hot Rod Power Tour with a friend, and we stayed at several Best Western hotels...they were all very nice and comfortable. The staff was also very nice and friendly.

« Nice older property that has recent updates. »

Easy access off the freeway and well lighted parking lot. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Interesting layout as it seems the hotel was a very open concept at one point and now has security doors in place. I highly recommend you check in before parking as your room may require you to move your car to the back of the property.

« Great hotel; great location »

So glad we selected the Best Western Plus Austin City hotel. Location worked well since we walked, used busses and taxis for some of the time. The room was good sized for 2 people, clean and recently renovated. Beds, towels and linens comfy. Breakfast worked well, as did having a bar/live music on site. Pool area seemed nice although we didn't use it. Staff friendly.

« Another great stay with Best Western »

Sometimes you get to see how great a stay can be when you actually see a problem resolved quickly. We had a King Suite room and the AC in the room wasn't cooling. . After calling front desk within minutes maintenance was there to fix. ..unfortunately that fix didn't last long so we were given a new room right away. Every single person we dealt with from housekeeping to maintenence to front desk were very helpful.

    « Outstanding Hotel »

So happy we stayed at the Best Western Plus Austin City, Texas Hotel. The hotel was spotless and very attractive. ALL staff...from the staff at the front desk, housekeeping and staff at the breakfast buffet were very professional, caring, attentive, and wonderful. They couldn't do enough for us. This hotel is convenient to airport, highway, and the city of Austin in general. It did not disappoint!

    « One night »

Lots of parking. Funny shape and lots of odd hallways. Room seemed clean and had recent renovations. Locations awesome to get most places quick. Would recommend for sure. Didn't try pool in courtyard but it looked inviting. They let me check in early. Some elevators are very old, slow and tiny but they get the job done.

    « A bit overpriced »

Nice hotel but perhaps 10- 20% overpriced. Freeway access is good. Location for sightseeing compared to other BWs is good. Very clean, comfortable, and a nice variety of free coffees in the lobby. If I were not dedicated to BW I'd probably have stayed somewhere else due to the price, but I wanted a BW within 10 minutes of the capital.

    « Best Western Austin »

Was visting Austin for a wedding, and a group of us thought we were on to a winner at the Best Westin Plus. Pool gym location, not all that great on any of these. Room was large and facilities were good. bit dated, I've stayed in a few best wetting and they are usually the same. Gym was small but had enough equipment for the basics. Free parking was good. Breakfast was fairly average, better off exploring for something better in town. Must hire a car to get a round, this hotel is not really located near anything. We split a car between three and was awesome to see the sites. recommend staying closer to town for a little bit more.

« Cheers for a great hotel option. »

A convenient location for easy access to downtown Austin or beyond. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Our room was very quiet and the beds were wonderful. All the staff---from those behind the desk to the cleaning people---were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious with fresh fruit and many different options. The buffet was kept orderly and clean continuously. We highly recommend this place.

    4
« Very Convenient for Austin »

I don't like paying city centre prices and was touring Texas with a car so this hotel seemed a good choice. We actually stayed here a couple of times on this trip, both sides of a side trip out into Hill Country. Both times met with a very friendly welcome. One time our room was not quite ready, but they have a big lobby with a comfortable lounge area that has soft chairs, a tv and a machine that gives free and decent coffee. The hotel has obviously been expanded over the years as some rooms are straight off the car park while others are inside with a carpeted corridor. Rooms are good enough, clean and serviced quickly in the morning although beds are not of the newest. TV has plenty of channels and wifi is fast in the lobby and in some rooms. One of our rooms had patchy coverage but that is not unusual. The hotel is very conveniently placed on the road system but even when we had a front room there was no traffic noise. Also for foreign visitors like us I discovered the Conoco gas station next doors has pumps that accept foreign credit cards. This is useful because a lot of new pumps don't nowadays and it is a nuisance to guess how much a rentacar might take. Recommend this place to tourists, really convenient for travel in any direction into or out of Austin.

    « affordable and comfortable »

Clean, affordable, comfortable (for the most part). I was given a handicapped room, which was not the best as far as very low bed, no tub walk in shower that water easily found it's way across the floor. I asked to be put in a different room, they were sold out and once settled in this room didn't force the issue for my other 3 nights there. Overall a decent place, close enough to downtown and free parking certainly beats hotels DT that charge to park.

    5
    « Great Location »

Enjoyed our stay. Good location near the lake and near Congress Street restaurants. Off of freeway but never heard any freeway noise. Allows pets, and pets fee the most reasonable I have seen, did not take advantage of pet owners as many hotels will do. Would definitely stay again! Rooms very clean and nice size, good pricing.

    5
    « Excellent Visit »

This hotel is wonderfully run. The staff is helpful and cheerful. The rooms and grounds immaculate. Unscented products are used for room and linen care and that is wonderful. There are no awful perfumed smelling anythings. And, everything works!! The breakfast is outstanding with plenty of food groups other than sugar laden junk. A comfortably great place to stay.

« Excellent Stay in Austin »

The Best Western Austin City Hotel was excellent. The hotel was clean and quiet, the rooms were great and the pool was amazing for me and my 3 year old. The staff was excellent at check in and check out - everyone was helpful and nice. Convenient location to South Congress and South 1st.

    4
    « Exceeded expectations »

This type of hotel, next to the freeway and a little bit outside the city center, is not always up to a high standard. That was not the case for this one. This Best Western is nice, the staff pleasant, and the facilities were recently updated and refreshed. Rooms are clean, and the materials used in the rooms are nicer than you would expect. I'd stay here again, next time in Austin. I rated value as 'average' only because it was a bit pricy for a Best Western - but it was a lower cost than the typical big chain big city hotel.

    5
    « A good choice »

I was very happy with my one night stay at this hotel. Onsite bar/restaurant, good warm breakfast, a nice pool and hot tub area. Room was very comfortable, updated and clean. The bed could have been a little more comfy, but I still slept great.

« Great in a lot of ways, but not all »

I really, really wanted to love this hotel based on the TA reviews I read. This hotel hits the mark in a lot of ways, but definitely has an issue which may not be able to be fixed. Stayed here for UT graduation for three nights and didn't get much sleep. Was on the 2nd floor and the room above would squeak like a broken box spring every time the person in it walked around, which, unfortunately, seemed like all hours of the day and night. The hotel is older but refurbished, so it could be in the construction. Couldn't ask for another room as the hotel was sold out due to graduation. Nonetheless, there are a lot of positives if you hit the jackpot and get a quiet room. Refurbished interior, comfortable beds, free toiletries (even makeup remover), hot breakfast with a very decent selection each day, fresh apples in the lobby, free coffee every day, free movie channels, free internet and parking, and an excellent location just far away from the madness of Downtown but close to the highway, south Congress and university area. Though I will agree that they need to keep the breakfast open a little longer each day. I did mention the noise issue when I checked out and the manager was very pleasant about it and discounted my stay. I did not expect that but it was a kind gesture given my lack of sleep all three nights.

    « Great hotel »

Close to all, cabs were inexpensive. Close to SOCO. Easy to great good restaurants. I liked this property as it is A Best Western Plus! Great Mexican within minutes, fgo to Curra's! Bar none...the best. Go to Continental Club on tues night at 7 for Toni Price. She is amazing.

« This is 3.5 of 5--above average, but not a top tier property »

This little hotel is on three stories high and try to stay on the top floor because of the noise factor. We were under Elephants! I find it hard to believe that many people on weekends seem to forget that people are in the lower rooms! Road and hall noise are not a problem. The hotel is clean and the rooms are large and modern. Nice property. Breakfast could use a little work, but it is OK. The staff at breakfast is not English speaking and needs to smile a bit more. Parking is adequate and safe. The location is great for south Austin venues and we will use it again when we can't get into our "regular" places. We have had to stay in a number of Best Western's lately--they are doing a good job.

    3
    « Graduation stay »

The location was good. The rooms were rather small. The breakfast needs improvement. They really need to keep the breakfast area open until 10:00 a.m. and not 9:30 as it is presently. Housekeeping was very good. Room was always found clean and refreshed. The lounge/bar area was loud and noisy and the menu items need some improvement. My son had ordered a wrap and I ordered chips and salsa. The chips and salsa never showed up. I was too tired to complain as we had just arrived from a long drive. The access from the room to the lobby was a little confusing and convoluted. The balconies were not "real" balconies but just look-out windows.

    3
« Great location for University of Texas »

The location of the hotel was great. The rooms were clean and had plenty of room . The wash basin was in the room rather than the large bathroom which was a little different. They had a large refrigerator and Microwave and nice LG TV. The room comes with a nice full breakfast..and you can make your own pancakes and waffles!!! The waffles were terrific!!! The price was a little higher than i would have expected but it was during UT graduation and we were lucky to get a room. The other hotels were also higher priced this week. Also there is free wifi

    « graduation 2016---U. T. Austin »

I have stayed here before and that is why I come back. Trip plans seem to always change somehow: front desk staff very helpful to our change needs, info on site directions excellent, down to traffic congestion.

« Small room, but clean. »

The room was extremely small for the price paid. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. However, the room was difficult to get around in without bumping into each other. Unhappy with the price paid for the small room.

« Seminar stay was surprising in Austin, TX »

Since we don't normally stay at Best Western hotels, we were surprised by what the Best Western Plus @ 2200 South I 35 on May 20, 2016. My wife had a seminar at the hotel, and after check-in, we were surprised by the layout and roominess offered at this hotel. The room was nice and clean, and although the bathroom was smaller than we are used to when we travel, this room was sufficient for what we were here in town for this time, for a good bit cheaper than what we normally pay at the major hotel chains. Given that it was sort of a last minute reservation, and would have stayed longer if rooms were available, but since it was University of Texas' graduation weekend, there was none to be found. Also, the manager of the property allowed us a later check-out, on request, since we were there for some training at the hotel. However, the room and location was all that we needed for this trip, and since the nearest Starbucks was 2 blocks away, the location was ideal. One thing of note:the whole time I sat in the lobby on Friday afternoon, the traffic on I-I-35 heading north, was bumper-to-bumper the whole time we were there. In fact, when we arrived at approximately 9 PM the night before, traffic was still fairly heavy in the area, and while heading back to Houston around 3 PM Friday afternoon, Hwy.71 was extremely heavy until we passed the airport, around TX-130, the toll road that heads from east of San Antonio on I-10, and stays to the east of Austin, bypassing Austin. Once all of the roadwork is finished, it will be a nicer drive.

    « Exceptional »

I don't usually write reviews on Trip Advisor but in the case of the Best Western Plus, Austin City Hotel I make an exception. Pretty much everything about this hotel was great during my recent stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well presented and the bedroom I was allocated was extremely comfortable. I did not eat in the bar in the evenings but breakfast was good. However, what made my stay especially enjoyable was the staff on reception, Alec, Placido, Amy and Larry. These guys deserve a medal as they could not do enough to help me and ensure that my stay was a pleasant one. I stay in hotels regularly and most far more expensive than this one but this was of the best I've stayed in for a long time. Thank you guys

    « clean, well priced,and comfortable »

This hotel was clean, well priced, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was far above what you normally get in complimentory breakfasts. Start my morning with a good cup or coffee and I am a happy girl.

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

This was my first time staying at a Best Western Plus and I must say that I was very impressed. The property appeared to have been recently updated so everything was new and modern. The internet worked well and the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. My only con was the old style AC system in each room that was very noisy.

    4
« Great hotel right outside the city »

Just ten minutes from the airport and another ten to downtown , the location was great. AAA got a nice discount too. Not your regular free morning breakfast. Many selections. All good. Our room was clean and comfortable. There is a pool that is surrounded by rooms. Nice and private.

« Southwest Fuel and Convenience Expo »

Well kept, modern updates, with more than enough amenities! The rooms were silent to the adjacent rooms, and even outside noise (and this hotel is right on the interstate). This made for a very comfortable stay and excellent night's sleep!

« Good, convenient Austin motel »

This appears to be an older property that has been well maintained. The room was outside entry, average size. I really liked the fact that the bed wasn't covered with a 50 pound Duvet! It had a normal weight bedspread, which is much more comfortable for me. I also appreciate that the motel is 100% non-smoking. The breakfast was excellent with more good choices than most motel breakfasts. The location is right on I-35, but we weren't disturbed by any road noise. The price was reasonable compared to comparable properties.

« After a bad La Quinta Experience, Best Western Plus was Delightful in every way. »

The most outstanding feature of the Best Western Plus was the amazing staff. They were all helpful, pleasant, funny and genuinely committed to my "good hotel experience" The younger members of the team, Placido, Amy, Alec, Larry etc provided top notch service mixed with humor and personal interactions that made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The hotel was clean and the rooms were very comfortable. I will certainly return to this hotel on my next visit to Austin.

    « Nice hotel »

Very convenient, updated, modern hotel. Close to highway but very accessible to downtown Austin without going on the freeway. Close to SoCo area which has trendy shops and restaurants. Pool area looked very nice, wish we had gotten in earlier to enjoy the pool. It is a FULL hot breakfast included. Pretty much anything you can think of, they have it. This makes it a very reasonable cost since you don't need to buy breakfast. For our family of three that was a nice savings. Front desk was very helpful giving us a map and directions and helpful hints.

    4
« Good place to spend the night on the road north. »

The room was clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi fast and reliable. There's easy access to I-35, but it's also close to Congress Ave. so if you're spending the night, you'll also be able to take in some of the atmosphere. I appreciated the recommendation of Magnolia Cafe ("Sorry, We're Open"), which looks like a throwback to the 60;'s.

« Great place and good location »

I have to say that was really surprised at the quality of this best western. This location is easy to get to downtown just minutes. The breakfast was awesome. The staff was very very nice. The rooms were nicely furnished and up to date. The courtyard with the pool was very inviting. I would certainly stay there again in the future.

    5
    « Nice place! »

Clean and updated, his hotel is fairly centrally located for all things Austin. The lobby is very modern and the front desk staff very nice and accomodating. Our pool view room was easy to get to (some reviewers complained about difficulty with that). It was very clean, updated and welcoming. The mattress was great, the room was quiet at night, except for the birds! Breakfast was good with lots of choices (loved the Texas shaped waffle maker!). The pool and hot tub were fairly well maintained, just had some leaves and tree debris. I would stay here again next time I go to Austin!

« Great beds, staff - short drive to downtown »

What a great place. The beds are very comfortable, room was immaculate and well appointed - staff was so friendly. The added bonus - breakfast! It was far better than any buffet offered at other similarly priced hotels.

    5
    « Overall Great for the $ »

This was one of the less expensive places to stay in the area, I wasn't expecting much. I enjoyed the bar area and the breakfast, I travel a lot, Best Western isn't usually on my radar but the last two that I have stayed at have been pretty nice.

    4
    « Comfortable and quiet »

This is a good location if you're going to downtown Austin for any reason. I had a king bed in a room that was very comfortable and the breakfast area in the hotel was well-supplied with plenty of cereal, fruit, eggs, bacon, juice, and waffle and pancake batter. The only drawback is there are few good restaurants in the immediate area. It can also be tricky getting back to the hotel if you approach it from the west, so if you're driving make sure you consult a map of the surrounding streets. Otherwise, it was a really good, reasonable choice for a few days' stay.

    « Great Hotel - Horrible Mattresses »

Beautiful Hotel. Very modern décor. Beautiful courtyard and pool - which is large for a hotel pool. Very clean. Awesome full breakfast. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. Mattresses were very uncomfortable. We could feel and hear every spring.

« Good place for the price »

The room was nice & clean. Friendly staff. We had an outside room so we were woken up a couple of mornings by the sound of a saw from the neighbors. Other than that, cant complain. We went to the hotel bar one night and had a few good drinks. The best thing about this hotel was the location.

Great hotel! The location was great, not too far from anywhere we needed to be. Used uber to get around. The hotel was super clean, the rooms were comfortable and the staff friendly. Best Western is always my "go to" hotel. The guest rooms are always clean, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The beds and pillows are always comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is always inviting and the coffee is very good. The location in Austin was excellent and the bar had very nice band. Perfect way to wind down my day. I highly recommend Best Western in any city you are visiting.

« Good hotel just outside of the downtown Austin area »

I needed a hotel for a Saturday night for a sightseeing trip just prior to a convention at the end of April. All of the hotels in downtown were ridiculously priced, and since I was paying for this on my own, needed something a bit cheaper. Found this on hotels.com and with good reviews from TripAdvisor, I booked it. Price was reasonable, location was good and the room was clean. The good - the hotel is very conveniently located to the downtown area, Ladybird lake and park (which I went to on Sunday) and has a bar/restaurant attached to it. The room was small, but very clean. I have generally found Best Western's to be clean and this one was no exception. I don't really like hotels where the doors open to the outside, but I knew what I was getting into and the area seemed very safe. I did have a problem with the toilet not flushing properly, but since I was only in the room for a brief period of time, I didn't have the time to let mgmt know ahead of time. I let them know when I was checking out and they thanked me for the heads-up. Wifi was fine, didn't really use it that much since In wasn't in the room much. The free breakfast was ok, it's your standard fare for this type of hotel - scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, breads, etc. Not great, but does suffice. The price was very reasonable and I'd definitely stay here again on another trip to Austin.

    5
« Well maintained and managed hotel »

I had a good stay at the hotel. The staff was good and respectful, the property was well maintained and it has a number of conference rooms. Complimentary coffee machine was awesome and I see number of guests using it. Good restaurants closeby. Will come back again

« great place to stay »

This was a great hotel. It was very convenient to get in and out of downtown Austin. The hotel staff was very friendly. The offered a very nice breakfast in the morning. I would recommend staying here as an alternative to some of the pricier hotels in the city.

    4
    « Wonderful Staff »

The staff was super friendly before & during our trip. Great selections for breakfast and we loved the hot tub. Our room faced the courtyard/pool and was relatively quiet. There is a cool restaurant attached to the hotel, but is independent. They have good food at reasonable prices and play old rock songs. If we have to travel through Austin again we will definitely consider this hotel again.

« Best deal for the price »

Excellent location in South Austin. Near many hotspots. Pool looked great, but we didn't have time to use it. Breakfast and fitness center were pretty good, but left a little for the wanting. Certainly best deal in the area!

« Thoroughly Enjoyed My Stay »

This is only the second time I've stayed at a Best Western Plus but it definitely won't be the last. A rather large group of friends checked into this hotel and the front desk staff were great. We had multiple rooms under one name and some rooms were staying longer than others; the front desk was able to sort everything out and did so with professionalism and positive attitudes. My room had modern decor, the beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. This hotel provides complimentary breakfast and it was great. The layout of the breakfast area is a but funky and can cause the line to get a bit cramped but the food was amazing. This hotel has a fitness room, pool and jacuzzi. While I did not partake in the fitness room or pool, the jacuzzi was amazing. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed my stay.

    « Best Western Austin »

We like Best Western so booked this as it had breakfast and free parking for one night. Luckily we only stayed one night. I found the check in staff cold and not too informative. The room was very nice however and breakfast quite extensive. It being on the highway, it was difficult to get in and out.

    5
    « Great location »

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very convenient for the trendy South Congress area of Austin. Our room was very comfortable, internet speed was good too. I was concerned about possible highway noise but this turned out to be no problem - we slept very well. Overall great value.

    « highly recommend! »

The staff was outstanding. I loved that the hotel was near the South of Congress area. Entry to the hotel was a bit challenging due to the one way entrance, but once we figured it out all was great. The hotel was in wonderful shape and extremely clean. I would definitely return.

The Wifi blocks work VPN and remote desktop access. I was unable to work from my hotel room. If you are here for pleasure, you will enjoy it! If you need to work from your room... beware! Otherwise, the rooms were clean, the service was amazing, location is great! There is a lovely liquor store around the corner that sells all kinds of great wines and rare beers. I recommend this place for leisure only, not for business travellers that need access to remote machines of secured VPN... they block it all!

    « Clean, friendly, convenient! »

Our stay here was excellent! The hotel is one of the cleanest we've ever stayed in, the breakfasts are top notch for a hotel in this price range, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We loved the location just on the fringe of activity, allowing us a little downtime in their bar that has a neighborhood feel to it. The 10 minute drive to any district was well worth the decision to stay outside the downtown area. When back in Austin, this will be our first choice of places to stay!

« Great staff and cocktails »

Great location, 20minutes from SOCO, clean, comfortable room and lovely pool to cool off in. The staff, from reception to the girls in housekeeping were efficient but also very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

    « Good night's stay »

Jack and I, and two friends reserved 2 rooms for an overnight stay, for our sightseeing the next day here, and had a good night's stay. We had been sightseeing in Fredericksburg all day, and drove to Austin (but had a bit of trouble finding the hotel!) You could see it from one side of the highway only. We had a King room, with a huge walk in shower; our friends had a double room that was very nice, as well. We ate a late supper in the adjoining "Blue Moon Cafe", and were entertained by an Open Mic Night. It was fun listening to music! The next morning, we enjoyed a very nice breakfast before we had to leave.

    « Convenience and Comfort »

The only problem was figuring out how to actually get to the hotel in the dark. I could see the hotel but not the road to access it. Once I found it, the hotel was comfortable and pleasant. It has easy access to St. Edward's University and is one the same side of the highway, which is nice. The room was comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was top notch.

« Good location no frills »

It's a very good, very clean and comfortable hotel just 2 miles of the downtown, where you would have to pay 3 times as much and have aggressive service (and pay $30 day for parking). The restaurant staff is great; the food is OK though - well if you enjoy live music you may like it better :)

« This place exceeded my expectations »

Last weekend, we spent two nights at this hotel for a family wedding. The bridesmaids were in the suite next door, and we stayed in the next suite making final preps for the wedding. The suite was very nicely attended with premium bedding and linens. The suite was basically two hotel rooms with a French door in between. This meant that there were two baths, two tvs a king size bed and a couch and a desk in the other. There was also a nice sized refrig. Housekeeping was very accommodating, waiting until late in their shift to clean our room and on the day of check out, finding an ipad and jacket that I left behind. A young man contacted me and helped me to arrange to have it shipped to me. My daughter went to breakfast and gave it a thumbs up. The room was affordable and nice, but the people were the true treasure of the Hotel. Each and every staff member was ready and willing to meet our every need. It was delightful. Finally, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Austin.

We love this hotel and always stay here when visiting with our son who attends college here. It is close to campus and extremely nice. Staff are always very friendly and professional. Rooms are very nice and clean and the breakfast buffet is wonderful with lots of options. Love the free 24 hour cappuccino machine too!

« Great Location and Price »

Second time we've stayed at this hotel. It has a great location on the south side of Austin and S. Congress is just a few blocks away. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is held in a restaurant on site. We will stay again.

« Great value, great location! »

This was our seventh hotel at the end of a twelve day business trip. We were impressed with the hotel grounds, comfortable pool area and adjoining restaurant, the very welcoming, friendly, helpful reception and housekeeping staff, interesting lobby decor, easy access to the highway and low price compared to our other lodgings on this trip.

Perfect overnight while attending a wedding at Kindred Oaks. Hospitable desk clerks, easy access to room, and great location, Nice breakfast with long serving hours. Everything you might need is close by, so don't panic if you forgot something or the weather changes...lots of options to fill any needs...also next to a convenience store and many area restaurants.

    « great value »

The hotel was in a good location to make day trips to LBJ ranch, Fredericksburg and finally to Gruene and San Antonio. It was also convenient to the downtown area. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient and the price was right. Would stay there again. Included was breakfast. Also the adjacent restaurant and bar served $4 Margaritta that were great.

    « Great hospitality »

The evening desk clerks were exceptionally helpful. We needed help with getting our luggage to the room, and Omar offered to help us. Amy gave us some wonderful suggestions as to where to eat in Austin. They friendly service made our stay most enjoyable. Cheese and fruit in the lobby when we arrived. Coffee and tea available 24/7. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Free breakfast with hot and cold food. Free parking, right off the highway and easy to get to the heart of Austin in 10-15 minutes. Reasonable rates. Next time I'm in Austin I will definitely stay here. Recommend you give it a try!

Friendly staff, easy check in/out and hot breakfast made for a great stay. Looks like they have been updating the rooms from my last visit. The room was clean and comfy. Great place to book when I stop in Austin.

« Best Western Austin City Hotel »

We have stayed at this hotel both times we have been in Austin. The main purpose of our stay was to attend the MotoGP at Circuit of the Americas. We really love this hotel. It is in a very convenient location for both downtown Austin as well as the Circuit of the Americas which is an easy ~20 minute drive. Highly recommended for both value and convenience. The free breakfast is really good and will save you some cash by not having to go out for breakfast. Also has free parking as well.

« Nice hotel for an overnight stay »

Pros: Conveniently located on I35. Recently updated, contemporary style. Very nice, large pool. Pretty awesome breakfast! Friendly staff. Hotel was very quiet at night. Cons: Not a lot to do nearby. The restaurant (bar) attached to the hotel is not what I would consider kid-friendly, and the closest restaurant was, unfortunately, Denny's. The hotel is pet friendly which is normally fine, but I think there had been a lot of cats in our room. The smell was pretty bad.

    « Fantastic Stay »

We booked this hotel for SXSW and to be honest we didn't have the highest expectations given it was only a Best Western. We were really surprised with the quality of the property and the kind staff upon check-in. It really did exceed my expectations. This is a solid 4 star property with Texan hospitality. We had a suite which we were graciously upgraded to which gave three very untidy girls a lot of space to be the pigs we are. All the amenities are great with a nice pool and hot tub. Wifi is free and the Blue Moon bar was probably my favourite place to go. On the first day I was so hungry, I ran in the second they opened and they cooked me up a great meal without hesitation. It's on the interstate so I'm sure there are more convenient places to stay if you wanna be downtown but with the help of Lyft and Uber, it was more than great for us. I'd recommend it 100% for SXSW as the rates are probably some of the more reasonable.

    « Great hotel! »

Stayed there last weekend Saturday and Sunday nights. The hotel is very nice and really close to I-35 which was great to get around. The room was very nice. The hotel staff was vey nice and very accommodating. Had a free buffet breakfast that was outstanding that was in the onsite restaurant. I would definitely stay there again.

    « Great Downtown Motel »

We spent a recent Saturday night here. This motel has been updated and had modern decor. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. There was a bowl of fruit near the front desk and ice water to greet us. The room(a double) was small but adequate. The bathroom was beautiful with tile floor and shower surround. However, with three adult women in one room, the addition of a sink and counter outside the bathroom would have worked much better. The actual bathroom sink and surrounding counter area were very small and a few shelves or cubbies under the sink would have been appreciated. The hair dryer was located in a bag inside the hall closet. We enjoyed our stay including the free breakfast which was above the ordinary and served in the adjoining restaurant. The outside of this property was beautiful with huge aloe vera plants. We were within a few minutes drive of restaurants and our church for Sunday services.

« Best Western is great! »

The front desk was wonderful in getting us a room ASAP when we had checked out of our other hotel. Would definitely stay here again!! The other hotel we stayed was dirty and very smoky. We did not know the area was very seeded. Thanks God Best Western came through.

    « A Great Big Texas Welcome! »

I was pleasantly surprised at the friendly helpful staff from the minute we walked in the door. The breakfast was the most complete I've ever had included in my stay and the room was very clean and well appointed. The staff seemed very concerned about the quality of our stay. Nice place, I'd stay again in a heartbeat! Plus - so much cheaper than hotels nearer to UT campus - give it a try!

    « Outstanding Value »

The hotel was in a great location. Right off I-35.Was generally not much more than 5 minutes drive to most downtown destinations. Less to S. Congress St. Large onsite free parkiing lot. Suggest room not facing I-35. Good complementary breakfast buffet. Excellent value. No complaints about anything. Would definitely stay again.

« Nice buy noisy hotel »

Nicely decorated and comfortable hotel just outside downtown Austin. WIFI is free and at a good speed - v important. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the hotel for you. The first room they put me in was next to the laundry - banging and shouting. Then they moved me to a new room with screaming kids in the next room, not the hotels fault but indicative of the noise level. At 2am several drunken groups of guests wandered down the corridor shouting. Breakfast is basic but included free - restaurant food is below average.

« Great location and comfortable »

Booked this last minute as I arrived in Austin a day early and my other hotel had no vacancy. Very well located for a $6 Uber to downtown. Clean and quiet. The staff was very warm and friendly. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

    « Incredible! »

Went to Austin for a long weekend and stayed at Best Western. It was incredible!! Such a beautiful room and friendly staff, and there is a great bar and grill connected to the hotel. We ended up eating there two nights. The hotel was within walking distance of everything that we planned for the weekend, so we didn't take the car anywhere even once. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Austin!

« Best Western Plus Austin City »

Very nice hotel for the price. Much better than average free breakfast. Courteous, professional staff. Good location, easy to find, and close to downtown attractions and restaurants. The bed was a little hard for me, but my 22 year-old-daughter found it comfortable.

    5
« Great location, comfy bed »

At first, the layout of the room seemed a tad awkward with the French doors to the bathroom, but we were used to it by the end of the stay. We had a room away from the highway, so it was nice and quiet. The bed and pillows were REALLY comfortable. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Austin.

the front desk was helpful and the employees in breakfast bar were VERY good at their jobs. Was somewhat confusing to get to hotel. I would recommend this motel to anyone coming to Austin. Had difficulty finding an outlet for the coffee pot.

« Best Customer Service EVER »

For the second year in a row, I organized and managed a large room block of people from our city who work in our exhibit at the SXSW Festival. We are a little complicated in the fact that various team members are coming and going all week long. And, to complicate things further, our initial reservations have to be made through SXSW rather than directly with the hotel. Here's the deal...no matter what mistake might have been made in communication between SXSW and the hotel regarding our room block, the Best Western Staff at this hotel is friendly, patient, accommodating and all creative problem-solvers. Specifically, Alec is our guy. He has taken personal interest in our group both last year and this to help me make sure that everything is as seamless as possible for the members of my team. He makes me look good in front of my boss and other leaders from my city. I really appreciate him! In additional to Alec (who typically works afternoon/evening), Larry now also has two years of history with us. He's usually on mornings and also does a great job. Kudos to the management of this hotel. Obviously, this is a pleasant place to work...the same people are there two years in a row! From Alec and Larry to the rest of the front desk, and servers in the restaurant/bar, and housekeeping...this hotel is really the best, consistent customer service I've ever experienced - and I travel a lot. When I am in Austin for personal travel or on other business than SXSW, I now choose this hotel just because the service experience really is that awesome.

« This was a pleasure trip. The property looked great! »

The room has good lighting with refrigerator and microwave. The TV was good. There was a desk for computer use, also seat was good. The bed was very, very comfortable. It was easy access to the outside entrance.

« Stepping up their game! »

This was the third year in a row that me and my crew have stayed here during the two weeks of SXSW. I must admit that we were not impressed the first time we stayed but this year was very good. Rooms are getting upgraded, they are comfy and very clean. There is plenty of free parking for our truck and the free hot breakfast is a nice extra. As Austin hotels become more and more expensive during peak times, the Best Western Austin City is a great alternative to downtown hotels costing twice as much.

    5
« Good location and excellent breakfast »

We were in Austin for just one night. The location of this hotel made it very easy for us to get right back on the Interstate and continue on our travels. This was our third night at a Best Western and it had the best breakfast of all three. I was happy to see a bowl of cut up fresh fruit in addition to the usual breakfast fare.

    « Expected More, Disappointed »

When checking in, I presented my military id as my form of identification. The manager then asked if I had a "regular id". What he meant was did I have a driver's license so that he could copy my address, but asking for a "regular id" suggests disdain for military service and we were disappointed by his choice of words. When we arrived in the room, we found our toilet clogged which caused us to wonder if it had even been cleaned before we arrived, and a large gap under the door which caused a lot of noise to enter the room from the parking lot, which our room faced. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, and made showering a chore due to the time it took just to rinse off soap and shampoo. The breakfast bar was not continually stocked, and caused us to go elsewhere to buy food after waiting for them to restock breakfast items. Part of the reason we chose this property is because it included breakfast, but we didn't receive it as we should have. Upon checkout, we were denied points on our Best Western rewards card because we booked through priceline. We normally stay at other properties, but we chose this property because we were in the area for a wedding and were on a budget. Our experience here has caused us to re-evaluate that decision and stay where our patronage is appreciated for all future travel.

    « Ok »

The check in experience, could've been better. The rooms and elevator were very small, but clean. Breakfast and Wifi was great. Water was hot in the shower. The trip was for SXSW, but definitely wasn't worth the $248 a night.

« Stay at this Best Western Plus »

The staff was very helpful. We lost our car keys and they did everything they could to help us. Yes, we found the keys but in the mean time they called a taxi to pick us up and bring us back. We are senior citizens. I will stay here again. Check it out when you are visiting Austin.

    « Excellent Location - Excellent Standard »

Having spent literally hundreds of nights in Austin over the last 25 years, at a variety of hotels whose standards have really slipped in recent times, I'm happy to report that this BW Austin City Plus is superb in every respect. Comfortable rooms, fun music-themed decor, clean rooms and public areas, excellent value, great amenities like the pool and hot tub, varied hot breakfast choices each morning, ice water and coffee always available in the lobby, computers and free printers in the lobby area, and "darn nice" and friendly staff. Overall it was a real pleasure to stay at this location for several days. We prefer the pool facing rooms to ensure we didn't risk highway noise. It's also nice also to be on that side of I35 near Oltorf and the Travis Heights neighborhood. This makes access to South Congress and downtown really easy so you can avoid the I35 altogether on your visit.

    « Felt like home »

Beautiful room in a well maintained hotel. After putting miles on walking to absorb the Austin sights, sounds and tastes coming "home" was so relaxing. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. You have everything you need to hit the pavement well rested, full from the extensive complimentary breakfast. At the end of the day relax in the outdoor pool or spacious hot tub, or have a nightcap in the hotel bar. Need a mid day recharge? Enjoy a cup of coffee in the lobby or nap in your cozy quiet room. You can even do a load of laundry-they have every amenity you need! A 20 minute walk down the hill to South Congress or $5 Uber ride to SoCo, Rainey or Sixth St.

    « Great visit »

I stayed here for four nights during SXSW. This is a fantastic hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and were accommodating when I asked to check in early. My room was nice on the third floor. It was kept extremely clean by the staff. Breakfast was much better than most other hotels with breakfast included. If I were to come back to the Austin area I would stay here again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place near downtown Austin.

    « The BEST PLUS »

JMJ If all hotels were like this!!! Great place to stay. Service was exceptional, when we came in the lobby there was cold water and fresh fruit. Nice touch. Checked in late and the staff was as fresh as a daisy Our room and all the hotel was as clean as could be! The hotel has been added on so it's a little tricky getting around but it's easy to figure out. The pool and the beautiful waterfall were so well maintained! The hotel is attached to the Blue Moon Grill and because we were in late we wondered if we could still get something to eat. The burger was one of the biggest and best I've ever had. In the morning, the free breakfast is also set up in the Blue Moon Grill. I wondered how good could it be in a bar/grill? It was wonderful! Great selection and the area was as clean as can be! Even the women's washroom was fancy and spotless. This hotel Really has it's act together and I can't say how much we really enjoyed it! Stayed at another Best Western Plus in Texas and it was nice but not up to this level! If you read other positive reviews about this hotel-believe them!.

« Great Hotel a short cab ride from central Austin »

I booked this hotel because of it's proximity to the Austin Convention Center and its reasonable rates. The hotel lobby and the room were clean. The staff was friendly and super helpful when I needed tips on getting around Austin. There is an attached restaurant that doesn't appear to be affiliated with Best Western even though the entrance to the restaurant is literally in the lobby of the hotel. It was a decent place to grab some food and some cheap drinks. I don't think I'd eat here if I had to drive to it, but it was fine for what it was. Parking was free. The wifi worked very well and was also free. I was easily able to work on documents that were in the cloud and even play some online games. The AC cooled the room very quickly. A cab ride to the Convention Center was approximately $10 one way. I tried taking an uber back but ran into surge pricing. Even with that, it was still cheaper to use the free parking at the hotel and a taxi than paying for parking downtown during a big event like SXSW. If I'm in Austin again I would book this hotel.

« Great price close to but not in the middle of Austin »

Affordable property just a few blocks away to South Congress Ave and the fun areas of Austin but affordable because it is right next to I35. Choose a room that is not on the ground floor. Our room was 129 and was right next to the laundry, elevator and an exit...not quet

    « A stylish motel/hotel in South Austin--but not on S Congress »

I wanted to stay in S Austin and not pay a lot. This place had very good reviews, so I went for it. I usually stay in places with interior hallways, which I thought this had. But, surprise, it is more like an updated motel, with rooms opening to the outside. That said, I liked it. The room was pretty small, but that was OK. Furnishings were comfortable. The lobby is very nice, as is the interior courtyard/pool area. Staff was very friendly. The whole place has a certain style. It is attached to the Blue Moon, where they serve a fairly decent dinner, have live music and poker on some nights. The free breakfast was basic but better than at some Best Westerns (like the one in west Fort Worth, which is pathetic). The location is convenient--right off I-35, not far from S Congress, downtown, university.

« Clean rooms and friendly staff. »

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful when I checked in. They answered questions about the Hotel and also everything I needed for getting around Austin. I had a Queen room and it was on the smaller side but perfectly adequate for a solo traveller. The wifi in my room worked really well. I had no trouble doing usual internet activity on a laptop and phone. There were plenty of easy access outlets for charging devices in the room. I didn't have to crawl under any furniture or move anything to get my laptop, tablet and phone all charged up for the next day. The bathroom water pressure was adequate and there was plenty of hot water even though I was showering at a peak time. The bathroom supplies like soap and shampoo all had a pleasant scent that I was happy to use. The food in the attached restaurant wasn't very good but the drinks were great. And based on the prices the quality of the food wasn't surprising. My only tip would be to mention that some of the rooms open to an inside hallway and some open to the outside either to the ground floor or an external walkway. If that is something that concerns you, you may want to contact the hotel and find out what type of room to book for each type of entrance.

« Close to Downtown and Airport »

We were staying for 2 nights with our family before they took a flight home. This hotel is close to the airport (10-15 minutes), and also close to downtown and other activities. The staff did a good job. We enjoyed the breakfast. There was a good selection of items, and they were fresh. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again in the future.

    « Excellent Stay »

From check-in to checkout the service was fantastic, friendly staff who work to make your stay a pleasant one. The free breakfast was well stocked with a large variety of items to suit everyone. As an allergy sufferer I found the rooms to be clean and fresh with no sneezing that usually comes with hotel stays. Location is great with quick access to highway and downtown Austin. My only regret is I didn't get to use the pool!

    « EXCELLENT AUSTIN HOTEL »

Once again this popular, and conveniently located, Austin hotel continues to impress. Rooms are nicely decorated, the beds are very comfortable, flat screen TVs with lots of cable options. Housekeeping at this hotel is outstanding! The rooms and the entire property are kept spotless. Lovely courtyard area with pool and jacuzzi for your relaxing. Hotel staff is very accommodating and service oriented. The adjacent restaurant, the Blue Moon Bar and Grill, offers tasty comfort food in a lively atmosphere with a good staff, serving all your favorite alcoholic beverages. Lots of convenient well-lit off street parking. Always, highly recommended!!!

« Parking is only problem »

This hotel is an outstanding value. The service is great and the hotel itself is very clean and nice. The beds were extremely comfortable! The only drawback to this particular location is the parking. The attached restaurant/bar is evidently a very popular weekend spot and the customers there fill up the parking lot. There is no reserved for guests only spots, so if you arrive late to the hotel it is possible you will not find a parking spot at all. We had to wait on a bar patron to leave...literally followed her through the parking lot to her spot. Other than that, this hotel is great!

« Great Price for Great Hotel »

The free breakfast was phenomenal. The offerings were so amazing. They had it all, and for FREE! The staff was so helpful and friendly, at all times. The look of the hotel was very cute and nice and so affordable! The only thing I would complain about was noise, but I would stay here again.

    « Dec stay »

Beds were not the best, clean but on the hard side for me and the kids. Rooms are small but comfortable. Heated pool would have been nice. Enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was a little different every day but very good. Staff was always friendly. Attached restaurant was yummy. Internet worked well. Easy to get to our destinations.

    « Wonderful experience »

Everyone we encountered from check-in to departure were helpful, cheerful and thoughtful. The rooms were excellent and there was no heavy perfumed smell at any time. The linens smelled fresh and the room smelled fresh and everything was spotless.

    « Ok hotel but ... »

The hotel overall was decent and the breakfast was quite good, but there was always something that was lacking. For instance, the water pressure in the shower was ok, but the sink and toilet lacked. The rooms are not sound proofed at all and you can hear everything from all around you. Further, the beds are terribly uncomfortable.

    « Austin 4-C Conference Stay »

The hotel was older, but the room was upgraded and comfortable. Getting to the room was a challenge with my luggage due to the need to navigate through several doors and stairs. The hotel was only an $8 Uber ride from downtown.

« Great rates and close to everything! »

Great stay start to finish! Called in advance of stat to add my rewards number to the reservation. Front desk was extremely courteous and helpful. Also reserved me an interior corridor room (*Tip: these are much safer rooms when staying at any hotel). Check-in was a breeze and the agent at the front desk (Larry, I believe) was very helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. I would definite stay at this hotel again. It's in a great location, right off of 35 and close to all the the South Congress and East Austin fun. You can go back and forth over Oltorf without having to get back on the always congested highway. There's a convenient bar and grill that provides room service attached to the hotel and a 7-11 right next door. I think they are dog friendly as well.

    « They get it right...well done »

I stay in hotels over 200 nights per year so do not write a review unless the hotel is exeptionally bad or exeptionally good....I am happy say the Best Western is in the latter group. The location. .well ok'ish..on a highway so not a lot to see...but the fun and music of 6th street is only 2 miles away. The staff....Polite, warm and helpful from reception to the cleaning staff. The room..Modern and very clean with beds that are super comfortable, plenty of power access points and complementary toiletries that are not the super cheap rubbish so many hotels go for. The Breakfast. ..Great..can not fault it..everything from hot food, fruits, pancakes, yogurt you name it....additionally there is a good bar if you would like a beer, or food. Overall they have got it right..at a price that is responsible. ..well done to the Management and Staff.

« Nice place to stay when on vacation »

We really enjoyed this hotel! We were so thankful to have chosen this hotel for our 4 nights in Austin. The room was very nice, as it had recently been remodeled with new, modern decor. the bed was very comfortable. We asked for a room with a view of the pool and we were upgraded to a king size bed on the second floor. We loved hearing the waterfall by the pool, and even slept a couple of nights with the window open. The room was equiped with a microwave, refridgerator and a hair dryer. The Breakfast was good, they changed it up a bit on different mornings. There was plenty of room in the dining room, as they use the restaurant next door to serve breakfast. The hotel staff were all very nice and friendly and the hotel lobby is really pretty, and inviting. There is a Starbucks and a convenience store on the corner adjacenent to the property.

    « It's a Motel not a Hotel »

I have been a business traveler for over 20 years. For security reasons, I always book rooms in hotels, not motels, since motel rooms are accessed from the outside, which is a safety risk, a particular concern for women traveling alone. I will say the staff was very understanding about my concerns when I arrived and discovered it was a motel. They revealed they do have a few rooms which can only be entered from inside. But if I hadn't asked, I probably would not have been told. I don't think my fears are unfounded. When walking through the buildings, there are a maze of doors which can only be opened with your room key. Apparently security is an issue. That said, my inside room was clean and recently updated. There is renovating going on around the buildings. And the staff was very understanding and went out of their way to make me a happy guest.

« Austin Marathon and Half Marathon »

This hotel has consistently shined on all fronts for the 4 years that I've been staying here. Larry at the front desk is such a welcome site each time we walk in. Not to mention the reassuring feeling of seeing him behind the desk throughout the day. Special note about this year's stay. A fantastic young man at the front desk that checked us in should train ALL employees on hospitality. Ohmar was so pleasant and hospitable without sacrificing an ounce of professionalism I immediately asked if he was going to be behind the desk all weekend because I (we) thought he was so wonderful. He wasn't but I soon found out the entire staff was fantastic and attentive to our needs, The room staff were equally wonderful. The hotel offers a fantastic complimentary breakfast bar and it is full of a wide variety of breakfast items to suit all guest cravings. There are not enough superlatives to describe our stay at "our" Best Western Plus Austin City Hotel.

« Nice hotel for the price »

Overall I must say that it was a great stay. The water pressure in 322 was terrible. I reported it , but it was never resolved. The beds are nice and it's all upgraded décor. Great value. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Delicious Breakfast! »

My room was on the third floor. It was a bit strange how the hotel was set up. You had to go down some stairs in the lobby to a door leading outside. Then go down some stairs out there to get to the elevator to go up to the third floor. The room was clean and quiet. There was a nice large fridge that I used throughout my business trip. I used the microwave one day and it worked well. The room had a nice comfy chair with ottoman that was great too. Breakfast was the highlight of my stay. Each day there was a different hot item. One day it was premade cheese omelettes. Another day was breakfast burritos. The next day was biscuits and gravy. There was also a waffle and pancake maker, along with other standard continental breakfast fare.

    « Clean affordable »

I liked the rooms they were clean but low water pressure and old tubs. Beds were not the best but better than others. Friendly staff. Little short but tolerable. No biscuits and gravy. I would stay again

« Good value for business traveler »

I spent three nights at the Austin City Best Western Plus while attending a conference in downtown Austin. The hotel has great access to downtown, both by I35 and Congress Avenue. The room was quiet and clean, the staff attentive without being pushy. The hot breakfast was good and had enough variety for most travelers. I was a winter traveler so i did not use the pool but my view of it from my window was nice.

« Great for for families and first time visitors to Austin »

My family and I went there and stayed in three seperate rooms. All the rooms were nice and clean, and had all the amenities listed in their website. The hotel offers coffee and hot chocolate all day from a modern coffee machine in their lounge area. They also offer free breakfast in the restaurant/bar attached to the hotel. The breakfast was good. They offered scrambled eggs, bacon (thin), sausage, Texas-shaped waffles, cereals, pastries, juices, coffee, tea, and condiments. Only things that was different from other Best Westerns that I have stayed at in Texas was that they didn't have biscuits and sausage gravy with their free breakfast. The employees were all friendly, and I even spilled a whole cup of hot chocolate all over the lobby floor and the front desk clerk immediately clean it up. I was very apologetic and he did not make me feel bad about it and was very courteous. They are also a dog friendly hotel and charge a fee for dogs to stay there. I very likely stay at this Best Western again.

« Would have been 5* with better breakfest »

Hotel was great, just what we thought we would get. Our only problems had to do withhotels outsourced restaurant that was also their room service and breakfest room - neither of them were really that good. Guest laudry was nice suprise. Balconies were quite odd / funny detail. Some rooms have them, yet there is only window to open in the room and notice that use of balcony is forbidden in the danger of eviction... Staff was great and we enjoyed our stay - would come again.

« Great Place to Stay »

After issues with our first accommodation I phoned Best Western who were able to cater our 5 night stay. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was great and the hotel was neat and clean. A shout out to Alec at reception who was super helpful on check-in! Would stay here for sure again if I'm ever in Austin.

    « Beautiful place »

I have to say that this hotel is great. Very peaceful even in the middle of Austin, meaning you can rest and don't feel sounds. The accesibility of this hotel is good, with a big parking lot space for you to locate yorself around it. The check in was fast, something you want anytime. Place is good for everyone to stay form roadtrping to businessmen. Have a nice stay.

« Didn't seem so great this tome »

    - I lost several lbs starting about 2 hrs after eating the "free" breakfast. - thin ceilings, movements of other guests easy to hear while trying to sleep. - many good attributes including outdoor pool, residential location etc but unfortunate overshadowed by the first two points.

    « 2/14 Weekend »

Best and most affordable hotel in Austin. Although check in was at 3 Larry was able to accommodate me in my room an hour earlier. Far enough to be out of traffic but close enough to get downtown/6th st. The avg uber price was about $5 one way. Great hotel great staff good bar/grill (Chad the bartender was great!!) will definitely be booking here for my stays in Austin.

Hotel convenient to Downtown and easy on and off IH-35. Restaurant/bar on property. Staff very helpful. Plenty of parking. This is a former Quality/Comfort that has been remodeled. Rooms have microwave and mini-frig.

« Lovely Place to Stay and Accessible »

This is a comfortable, quiet, clean hotel with an excellent and friendly staff. The beds are comfortable. The hotel provides easy access to many Austin sites. They serve an excellent free breakfast. The Internet access is free. The refrigerator in the room is large enough to hold drinks for several days and snacks.

    « Very Impressed »

I was there for two nights for a conference downtown. The hotel was very nice. The one issue was that our doors over looked the pool and it was a maze to find our room. The room was nice. The breakfast is AWESOME!! It is in the attached restaurant and the main entree was a little different each day. If I go hack to Austin, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

« Great stay, no worries »

Clean, comfortable, great staff, convenient location. Working south of the city during the day, the commutes were fine, yet, able to get in and out of the city in the evening w/o a problem. Looked at more upscale options in town and comparable options near work, but, glad a settled on this location.

« Great stay at the Best Western Plus! »

I had a great stay at the Best Western Plus. In the past I had stayed near Austin North and I far prefer this area. The rooms, location and facilities were excellent, but the best part was the staff! They were very friendly and helpful when I was checking in and they went the extra mile to make sure I got back the belongings I accidentally left in my room. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Austin. Thank you Alec and colleagues, you are doing a fantastic job!

« Good Hotel, very modern »

Very modern urban feel, the hotel was beautiful and had a great location for Austin. The rooms were clean, nice, and comfy. The breakfast was very good. The restaurant inside the hotel was great with a full bar. The only weird thing is I had to go outside the hotel from the lobby to a side entrance to get to the hall with my room.

    « Super clean/ Wonderful find »

We didn't know what to expect based on reviews and the very reasonable price. Our room was spotless when we moved in and spotless the next day after housekeeping left. The room is large. The beds are comfortable. There's a lovely neighborhood behind the hotel (to walk your dog if you bring one.) And btw, very reasonable rate for a pet stay. The pool is pretty and larger than expected. The breakfast is okay. Big fridge. HBO on TV. Microwave. A Starbucks a block away. A short drive to SOCO or 1st St or downtown and what I've heard about the hotels near UT, this would be an excellent alternative!!!

« Nice rooms, very good breakfast, a short ride to the Capital and LBJ library »

We were visiting the LBJ Presidential Library and stayed here on 1/8/16. The hotel is about a 15 min drive to LBJ and 10 min. from the capital (add 10 min. during rush hour). It is easy to get to from the highway and there is plenty of free parking. I'd suggest that once you exit the highway you get into the far right lane as the entrance comes up quickly and the road you exit onto is one way. We stayed on the second floor with a view of the pool. The room was clean, good sized and quiet. I'd recommend an interior room (facing pool) to avoid any possible highway noise The room and interior of the hotel are smoke free but there are exterior smoking areas, including one by the pool. The front desk staff was fine both at check in and out. The hotel connects to the Blue Moon Bar and Grill and this is where breakfast is served, The breakfast was a notch better than most BW breakfasts. The hotel is an excellent value compared to ones closer to the capital. Overall, we had a good stay and would stay here again.

    « Very nice hotel »

This hotel is clean and has excellent service and I would definitely stay here again. The location is very center to where I had business with and also to restaurants . I gave 4 stars for the experience I had.

    « Average »

I concur with a lot of the common good and bad points seen in past reviews. The hotel is a short uber ride from down town which is convenient. The lobby looks nice and the rooms are clean and reasonably well equipped. The staff aren't overly friendly, the included breakfast isn't great and the layout of the hotel is confusing. I also resented the fact that our room was on the ground floor outside of the secure part of the hotel. It felt basically like a motor inn with cars coming and going from right outside our room at all hours. The room didn't smell great and I noticed the bed comforter smelled like wet dog. I absolutely detest hotels that allow pets, even more so when they skimp out on the cleaning of the smell and/or mess that they leave. I asked for a late checkout which the guy at reception agreed to but didn't bother letting the maids know. We were also locked out of the secure part of the hotel after 11am as our hotel keys must have expired. No co-ordination from reception what so ever but no surprises because they really didn't sound like they cared when/if I left. The attached bar is also pretty average in terms of food, service and clientele. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

    « Stylish and Convenient »

You'll definitely see what the "PLUS" means when you check-in to this hotel! The rooms are filled with modern decor and design; and makes you feel like you're in an upscale hotel even though the rates are very reasonable. Located a mere 10-12 minutes from the airport; it's also very convenient to to downtown Austin and UT. Some rooms are on the small side but I never felt cramped or anything like that - although, it was just me. Rooms have a nice size fridge and microwave in them which was nice. The front desk staff was very accommodating - although, there were some times where I thought they were a bit short with some of the guests over the phone. My only negatives were: the property is kind of like a maze making it difficult to find your room at first; and their wifi was REALLY slow.

    « Another great stay »

This is a warm inviting hotel. The staff are all very professional. Good breakfast with eggs and yogurt, clean rooms, 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Computers and printers for use. Newspapers and fruit complimentary. Good security too with card use at all entrances.

« Comfortable bed, noisy fridge »

A good location, and the bed was comfortable, however the fridge was making a sound all night which woke me early and didn't enable me to sleep again that night. As I was sharing a room and my friend was fast asleep I did not wake him to attempt a move to a different room.

« Needed a step stool to get on the bed, otherwise, great »

The hotel was just over the river, which could be a hassle in traffic, but most often was an easy few minutes to downtown. The breakfast was good--burritos, make-your-own waffles, fruit--good stuff but nothing fancy. The room was very clean, perhaps to the point of feeling like a hospital: thin blankets/sheets, very high bed (I actually was too short to get in without some help--lol). Overall, very good, great price and value. Good service. A solid choice for Austin.

    4
    « Great service »

All employees were very welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to welcome us upon arrival and suggest places to go and restaurants. The location was fine; a short walk from SoCo. The bed was rather uncomfortable, though. That's my biggest complaint. But then, I've come to expect that from hotel beds.

    « Austin, TX »

Came into town for an overnight trip and needed a place to stay. Booked the Best Western Plus as I have stayed in several of their facilities in other locations. Great location, food and staff. Would visit again.

    « Very nice »

This hotel is in a great location, it has great amenities and the complimentary breakfast included much more than cold cereal and toast. There is a restaurant/bar inside and a convenient store on the corner.

    5
    « GREAT BREAKFAST TOO »

Everything was great, and that huge breakfast saved some money in town. Not sure why I have to type 200 words though. I enjoyed the Texas beauty outside with the landscaping. And the location was perfect. 35 and close to town. Yes, i had a great experience.

« Beautiful hotel, great experience »

This Best Western was one of the most attractive hotels in which we've stayed. It is evident from the front lobby to the breakfast area through to our room that a concerted effort has been made to make you feel welcomed with the beautiful and inviting décor. Breakfast was first rate, our room, aside from being well decorated, had an extremely comfortable bed and crisp, clean linens. The front desk personnel were courteous and polite. We did have a minor problem which didn't really affect us but the manager appreciated the fact that we let them know on checking out so that it could be rectified for the next guest. We are also very big into walking and it was nice to know that we could walk into the city and back without any concerns. My only disappointment was the fact that we weren't staying longer.

    5
« Clean, comfortable, and centric »

This fine hotel is clean, well located (8 miles from airport and close to SoCo). It is comfortable and modern, with a nice lounge-lobby. The staff is friendly and attentive. A full breakfast is included. The lay out is a bit different, but that does not affect the quality. I highly recommend.

    4
    « Nice stay »

We had a good time here. The front desk employees helped and advised us well to make the most of our 2 days in Austin. The room was clean, bed comfortable enough, and location was fine. With a little walking, and public transit, you can get everywhere. Only thing they lose a star on is the breakfast. It was fair, but the food wasn't fresh (my bacon this morning was super dry!) and everything besides the fruit wasn't fresh. It's okay though. We still enjoyed our stay :-)

    « Overrated »

The location of this motel in the middle of Austin sets it up to provide a nice experience for a visit to the city. Unfortunately this motel did not enhance the quality of our visit. We found the staff to be very unfriendly and unhelpful to the point of being rude. The motel itself is very disconnected. It is not very handicapped accessible at all entrances. We had to hunt to find a door that did not involve stairs. The elevator is so small it can hardly contain a very small cart and two people. We found the breakfast menu contain several choices, more than the usual, unfortunately the quality of the food was terrible. I had to finally go to the old standby, cold cereal. All in all, the value is not there for this motel.

« Great location for visiting Austin »

Older hotel that has been completely redone. Nice breakfast. The location was perfect if you are visiting the city. Easy access to downtown locations. Would stay there again when in the area. Was winter so didn't use the pool but it looked very clean and maintained.

« Great value, but a car is a good option »

Right on the interstate & a good neighborhood, but all the action is 1.5-3 miles away. I'd stay again if I had a car and really wanted to save over pricier spots. We needed 2 rooms so the savings was worth it. The breakfast was consistently better than other hotel buffets & staff is solid.

    « Austin Trip »

I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff were great, the room was excellent, the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up! The included breakfast was very good and served in an actual dining room. I was traveling alone and what really impressed me was the security, to get on to my floor you had to have a card key. I felt very relaxed and safe. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Excellent stay »

I stayed 4 nights at this Best Western Plus in Austin while visiting family during the holidays. I chose this hotel because it was the nearest to my son's home and place of work, but now that I know its quality I'll always stay here. I also appreciated the location, which was convenient to downtown and for other activities. The hotel was clean and well-appointed and the staff was especially attentive.

« Best Western Plus Austin »

What a super fine time we had in Austin for 12 days. We spent all 12 days at the Best Western Plus. Highly professional staff; in a perfect location; great breakfast. We were upgraded to a suite by the office manager, when he realized that we were Platinum members with Best Western. The suite was wonderful; 2 tvs and 2 bathrooms. You can't beat this place for service, quality and and reasonable rates.

    « Not Really a Review »

Everything in the hotel was great. The check-in person was probably the most friendly motel employee I've ever had to deal with. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable hotel bed I've ever attempted to sleep in.

    « Very good »

This is nice hotel, value for money, spacious, comfortable, clean. It is close to the airport - left the hotel by taxi and 18 minutes later we were through security and sitting by the departure gate. The breakfast was really good, especially the scrambled eggs, plenty of juice, everything laid out well, not too busy.

« Nice hotel with great restaurant and courtyard - STIFF Bed »

Very friendly staff. Excellent restaurant/bar. Beautiful courtyard with pool and hot tub. Beds were STIFF, room was small, and long door sweep kept door from operating easily. If you don't mind a small room with a very stiff bed, then this is a great hotel. The courtyard/pool area is very nice. Hot tub, fountains, pool, lounge chairs, and plenty of areas to relax. Restaurant has great food, they deliver to your room even though they are a separate business, and their staff is equally as friendly as the hotel staff.

« Enjoyable Stay but Confusing Hotel »

We stayed here to earn our Best Western points and had never been to Austin so we didn't really know if it was a good location. Turned out to be okay as it is very close to public transit. The room was fairly small but that was okay. The hotel has a confusing layout and we couldn't find our room when we first got there. The pool is in an interior courtyard which has outdoor corridors off of it. The front desk was very pleasant and welcomed us when we came and left. The biggest downside was probably the noise, we could hear the wind and rain, as well as any one who walked by our room quiet clearly.

« Great hotel, boutique feel. »

Loved the hotel, reasonably priced, doesn't feel like a best western. Location is PERFECT! 5 minutes from S. Congress, and in a great neighborhood. The bar/restaurant attached is great, food is good, the lounge is really fun. Great bands most nights, low key. Drinks are weak is the only comment!

« Good value and great property »

This is a great hotel and if you plan on spending a bit of time in South Congress then it's in a pretty good location, It's a pretty easy 2 mile walk to Congress bridge which was fine for us. The hotel has a very modern feel and the staff are very good. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was much better than average with lots of choice. There is also coffee available in the lobby 24hrs a day.

    « Great hotel--convenient and a good value »

I really like this hotel! I've stayed here 3 times--twice for business and once for fun. It's convenient to downtown and a great value compared to downtown hotels (even once you factor in the cost of parking a car at the convention center or other pay parking lots). The interior is cute and clean. The rooms open both on the interior and exterior. While exterior rooms can be convenient to parking, when traveling alone I prefer interior. Once I was given an exterior room, and simply asked for it to be changed to interior, which they did at no charge. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The free wifi and breakfast are also something I look for in a hotel. The breakfast is an actual hot cooked breakfast, usually omelettes or breakfast tacos, plus breakfast meats and eggs, plus all the other regular "continental" things you might expect like pastries, cold cereal, etc. The restaurant/bar where breakfast is served will also provide room service during regular hours. I haven't used the pool or hot tub, but I have enjoyed the pool area as a place to relax, read, and make a phone call. The neighborhood is safe and a pleasant place to walk or bike; there are also a couple of nearby convenience stores within walking distance. This place is a great value.

    « A night in Austin »

I was very surprised by how nice this Best Western turned out to be. When we first checked in, the gentleman at the front desk gave us a map and some tips on where to go based on our interests. He was very knowledgable, helpful and kind. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good! The menus changed every day and there were lots of options. The location is kind of weird; you can't get anywhere downtown without a car. All in all, we had a nice stay and I would do it again.

« First time to Austin, TX »

This hotel is one of the best Best Western hotels that I've stayed at. The location is perfect to the highway as well to multiple locations and restaurants near by. This was my first time in Austin and didn't have much idea of what to do, besides friend recommendations, but the front desk staff was very helpful in providing information of multiple places along downtown to see and experience. They definitely made this trip worthwhile.

The hotel is very convenient to downtown, and the Lady Bird Lake.

    « Fantastic Hotel, 4 star accommodations at a 2 star rate! »

We chose this location based on the recommendation of family, as we were attending a wedding, and this was in close proximity to the venue. Before booking I read several reviews on Trip Advisor that concerned me, however I went thru with the booking. Let me say, I was very happy I did.. Upon arrival, we were received warmly by the very friendly staff. The gentleman at the check in desk, immediately noticed an issue with my reservation. It appeared that we had accidently reserved a handicapped accessible room. He immediately offered to change it to a standard king room. He even offered the choice of floor. I had picked the top (third floor) and he warned me that this room faced the Interstate (I-35) and noise may be an issue. I was very impressed that he was so thorough with me in helping selecting a room. He provided me with a map of the property and instructed me to the best way to get to my room This property has many stairs throughout and can be difficult to those who are handicapped. However, there are ways around without the use of stairs and there are elevators. Upon entry to the floor, the hall was well lit, clean and recently refurbished. (I did notice a very slight mildew odor in the hall). My room, was very nice, exceptional in fact. One of the cleanest hotel rooms I have EVER stayed in. I tried to find something on the floor or a surface not 100% but I couldn't it felt like I was the first guest to stay in the room. The hotel should be very proud of their housekeeping staff, as during our week stay they did an excellent job keeping our room neat and orderly. The overall room size was about average to most I have stayed in. This room came equipped with a king bed, 2 night stands (2 drawers each), with lamps with power outlets, a chair, an ottoman, an end table with a lamp with power outlet, a desk, with a lamp with power outlet and a desk chair. A dresser with 4 drawers, and included an integrated, microwave and refrigerator. The rooms amenities includes, microwave and refrigerator (which was HUGE, by most hotel standards), coffee maker and supplies, Iron, Ironing board, Hair Dryer. The room was very tech friendly, with multiple places to plug in devices. (I travel with a power cord so that's not much of an issue). The hotel provides free WiFi, however no wired options are available. Access to the WiFi is thru an access code provided upon check-in. The WiFi service was fine however required you to enter the access code each time you took the device outside the coverage area, which was sometimes annoying. I am a proponent for in room safes? this hotel does not provide in room safes. (my only suggestion for this property) Besides that this property is security conscious, you will need your room key to access most doors on the property. There are security cameras placed in the hallways and in other various locations. There are Fire Extinguishers located thru out the building. The building is NOT sprinkled, nor is there an in room fire alarm system. There are CO and Smoke detectors in each room. The HVAC system is the old familiar thru the wall unit. However, the unit was new, and may have edged out my previous review of the Berkeley Hotel for coldest AC. The placement of the bed vs AC also pushed a nice breeze over the bed.. For me, it made for a great night sleep! The bathroom was a standard hotel bathroom, again the room was spotless and housekeeping made sure I was amply supplied with toiletries and towels. My wife complained that the water pressure in the shower was lacking, which I kinda agree with. It was average, but could be a bit stronger. Adequate hot water for showers, I did not draw a bath so I can not evaluate. This hotel provides free breakfast. The breakfast was nice, clean well stocked and maintained during the morning (06:00 to 09:30) Usually consisted of scrambled eggs, and two other sides (which changed daily), hot fresh waffles (in the shape of the state of Texas!) yogurts, cold cereals, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. I thought the breakfasts were great, for a freebie (better than most!) My only complaint would be the coffee. The property uses a coffee syrup / hot water dispensing system, which makes for a LOUSY cup of coffee.. My second suggestion.. switch to brewing real coffee! Top tips: If road noise bothers you, DO NOT stay in any room facing the Interstate, there are times it did get quite noisy (and I live off a major truck route, so I'm used to the noise and I was awoken twice.) There is an expresso / cappuccino machine in the hotel lobby lounge area (It's well hidden, and I didn't notice it till I was leaving?) Location: 10 min from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. 3 min from South Congress and the SoCo area (Excellent food and shops) and South Congress is a good alternate into Austin, when I 35 is backed up (7 min to downtown) Summary: Great Value, Excellent Service? I would not hesitate to stay here again

    « great location-great value. »

Good bang for your buck. Clean-perfect location if you are renting a car and don't want to pay high parking rates at downtown big name hotels. Easy access to downtown as well as surrounding area. Would go back again.

    « Comfortable & Clean »

What I liked: This hotel looks like it has been recently renovated. The staff were friendly. The room was very comfortable; I loved the bed and pillows. My room faced the pool area so it was quiet. The fitness room was adequate for a quick workout. I didn't use the pool or hot tub. In the lobby they have an expresso machine. What I liked less: The breakfast was just OK. The location is convenient, but you have to drive to get anywhere. There is a Starbuck's across a very busy street, but that is about it.

    « Beautiful hotel. »

Wonderful atmosphere and spacious, clean rooms. Good service. Delightful staff. Perfect pool area for the family to have fun! I always appreciate a clean hot tub. I would come back over and over! Everything I want when I need to take my family somewhere other than my home I found here.

    « Best Western City »

Clean hotel, friendly staff. The pool is really nice and big. The only thing is there aren't a lot of places to eat close by. The price is good for what you get. Also a good place to hold a conference. The price is good.

    « In for a wedding..good location »

This was a good location for what we wanted to do. We were able to quickly drive to so. Congress st, 1st street, and this really good brewery about two miles from the hotel. The hotel itself seemed to be newly remodeled and had a decent bar that is independently run adjoined to it. Because of the time difference, we weren't able to make it to breakfast. able to make it for breakfast. The downside was that it was a bit loud and beds weren't too comfy, but that's only a minor complaint. I enjoyed the on sight bar-the IPA was super good. If you stay, walk down to Whip In on the same side as the hotel-yum!

    « Clean. Comfy. Value. »

Stayed here 3 nights. Clean room. Comfy beds. Plenty of parking. Great hot & cold breakfast items. Adjacent restuarant /bar has food, drinks and entertainment. I saw the pool and hot tub but i did not use it. Looked clean and plenty of chairs. Hallways are like a maze. Very pleased. My siggestion.....have bottles water for guests to take for the day.

« Ecomonical place to stay »

The included breakfast was more than I expected. They had a good selection of hot and cold items and the menu varied daily. We had a room toward the front of the hotel and it got quite noisy the traffic on I35 is loud so we couldn't keep our windows open. Room was remodeled and clean.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Overall a very comfortable and clean hotel. The Blue Moon had good food and cheap drinks. The breakfast was nice. The location was close to South Congress and had free parking. staff was friendly and efficient. All in all a nice place to stay. Pool and hot tub area was clean and looked very inviting.

    « Nicely Decorated Comfortable »

Nicest Best Western I have ever stayed at. Convenient Location. Nice bar/restaurant that seemed to have patrons from the area not just the hotel. Decent food. Good service. I was upgraded to a spacious suite with 2 bathroom facilities due to my Diamond Elite status. Very nice place.

« About 5 minutes from downtown, room was small but clean, staff was great »

Good: Stayed in room 124. The room was on the small side for two doubles but clean. Not the best bed I have ever stayed in but not the worst either. Plumbing on the shower was lose but workable. Check in and out was quick and easy and the staff was friendly and helpful. There are lots of places to stay in this area, pick your price and location. The breakfast was good... I would stay here again... Bad: The Restaurant / Bar advertises music every night... the night we were there... no music.. Drink prices a steep and the drinks are watered down.

« Clean, fair prices, good location »

My daughter wanted to go to RTX this year and we chose to go with this as a less expensive alternative to some of the downtown/convention hotels. It was about a 10 or 15 minute drive with traffic to get to the convention center and local hotels during the conference. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and the attached restaurant was very good. It's conveniently located for trips into downtown Austin and for other area attractions. The restaurant also had live music every night of our stay which was pretty cool.

    « GREAT STAY »

I really loved the cleanliness of the room. The staff was very professional and nice. The only thing I didn't like was their complimentary breakfast. I would suggest that you allot enough time to stop elsewhere to get breakfast. They also don't offer free happy hour as other hotels do, but overall it was a great stay !

« Lovely hotel and reasonable price »

Hotel was very clean, had a beautiful pool area and all the extras we expect from Best Western like breakfast, refrigerator in room and a quest laundry room. Bed was great. Starbucks was across the street which is a biggie for me. It was 20 minute drive from the Drag of the University of Texas and easy access to all places. I am ready to make my reservation for the next time we visit our granddaughter at the University of Texas.

    « great stay »

Excellent choice for business or pleasure travel. Close to Congress Ave boutiques and restaurants. A short trip to 6th ave for night seen. Hot tub was great after walking all day and pool area was great for couples or children.

    « Very cool - great location! »

We were very pleasantly surprised with the high-end vibe of this hotel. The location is just a couple minutes north of 6th street which was perfect for us. The pool and hot tub area is very lush and well-manicured. The bed was very comfortable, but like others have said, the pillows are a little on the small side. We will definitely book here again the next time we are in Austin.

« Very clean, great deal for the proce »

The renovation looks great and the staff is super nice. Rooms, common areas and pool are very clean too. We wished the pool and hot tub were open later though. Breakfast in the morning is a little hairy and congested but I'm not sure if that's the hotels problem (poor buffet layout) or the customers (slow moving). Since the hotel is about 2 miles from downtown it would be nice if there was a shuttle a few times a day to center city. That's the only real downside to the hotel, far from downtown and not walkable. I'm surprised they don't have a shuttle to the airport too. Most hotels do and it's an important amenity many people. Overall though, very nice.

« Annual Conference in Austin »

I visit Austin, TX one time a year for an annual conference. They moved it to the Marriott this year but the price for a room there was ridiculous. I found the Best Western Plus on my search for a better priced hotel. I almost waited too late because my options were limited. The Best Western Plus had good reviews and a price I was looking for. I was a little skeptical because I have stayed in some nice BW and I have stay is some bad BW. I booked it and took a chance. I am pleased to stay I was worried for no reason at all. It was easy access from the airport because you get to the hotel before you get into city traffic. When I first go there they were having a problem with the AC in the lobby, so my worry was through the roof. Check in was quick and the staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Key in had and on my way to the back side of the hotel. As I entered the hall my room was on I quickly realized the AC problem must have been limited to the lobby. It was fixed by the next morning by the way. Hallway was clean with a pleasant smell. I entered my room to find a modern looking room that was very clean with a Mini fridge and microwave. Not sure if this hotel has been recently upgraded but it did not look warn at all. I had a king bed. The room had a desk with lamp. A sitting chair and ottoman that was very comfortable. The bathroom was your average hotel bathroom. The bed was alright, not great. I need to stop and say I sleep on a memory foam at home so my opinion may be unfair. This is a spring type mattress. I didn't hate it but could definitely tell the difference. There is a pool area with a large hot tub. I did not have time to use the pool but walked through a couple times. It looked very clean and well maintained. I will talk about the Free breakfast because I want to end on a positive note. The breakfast leave a little bit to be desired. It is a full breakfast. The taste is just not there. Everything was just real bland. The first morning they had eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Nothing really had any taste at all. The next morning they had items to make a breakfast burrito and I passed. I opted for the waffle iron. Again it was OK but nothing to write home about. Don't mean to be hard on them because I started by saying it is FREE. Now to the positive. The cleaning staff are some of the best of any hotel I have ever stayed at. I called the desk to request some extra hangers but they did not come that evening. The next morning I asked one of the staff directly, well actually 2 of the staff members because the first did not speak enough English to understand what I needed. Now that I think about it maybe it was me. Anyway I had extra hangers in 5 minutes. It is a shame what you pay for a hotel these day and after the room has been cleaned you find some area that they cut a corner or simply forgot something. Not at this hotel. Each day when I would return, the room was absolutely spotless. They even pulled up some tissues from the box and formed them into a flower, everyday. This is called being thorough and taking pride in your work. Something that has been lost in the majority of the US workforce. So hats off to you ladies. It was so nice to come back to the room knowing it had been cleaned with such high standards. Took very little time to start finding my way around. I will not only stay here again, I will only stay here in the future, when visiting Austin.

    « Pretty great »

Great value , nice and clean. Friendly helpful desk staff, and a $10 cab ride to downtown. We walked for a few block to the bus stop and caught the bus in to the city ($1.25), which was easy to do. Breakfast included was pretty good- lots of sweet stuff , but it is the states after all. Pool and spa were nice for a quick dip. The bar/restaurant had live music each night until late. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Austin.

    « One night stand »

in town for a lecture, I wanted something affordable near the capitol. the room was uber comfortable and the service outstanding. beware, however, that each room's a/c unit is the 'old fashioned' type that will cycle on and off all night long as the temperature is maintained. that's a deal breaker for me, unfortunately. i really wanted to like this place totally, but..

    « Easy ACL Access »

A very nice hotel just off I35 with very easy access to Zilker Park for ACL. They happily took our bags early that morning before the festival and allowed us to park our car for free before checkin. We then grabbed an Uber ride closer to the festival and back that night. Very reasonable prices and a good complimentary breakfast each morning at the attached restaurant.

    « Room not ready »

Checked in at 8:30 PM and our room was still being cleaned. Not too excited about that one. Also, I felt like the A/C was underpowered. Didn't cool down to our liking. Compared to other Best Western Plus hotels, this one was lacking.

    « Great Place »

This was an excellent choice. We were staying in town for our son's wedding and this hotel was close to the venue. The beds were awesome, full breakfast was good, clean and very helpful staff. Would highly recommend this to anyone staying close to downtown Austin

    « Great stay! »

We were only in Austin for a couple of days but very glad we stayed here. Our booking was through agoda who actually messed up (and we were told the hotel had had problems with them so be warned of booking with them!) but Alec who was on the front desk was very helpful and sorted everything out for us. The room was clean, modern and comfortable and we also went down to the pool in the afternoon which was also nice. Could have done with a bit of a clean but it was just nice to sit out. The hotel was also close to downtown which was perfect, we got an uber to the up and coming east side for about $7! The best thing about this place I have to say is the 'Blue Moon' restaurant next door. The live music (which starts at 10pm every night) was absolutely fantastic! Seriously, doing Austin proud! Would highly recommend all round.

« Great location, very good property and great staff »

My company is working on the south side of Austin and the location of the hotel is perfect for access to downtown, Congress Street and the airport. I was warmly greeted by Oumar at the reception desk. The parking lot, lobby and hallways were very clean, updated and safe. My room was in the rear of the property and was quiet, clean and well appointed. Breakfast (hot and cold) was well proportioned with eggs, Canadian bacon, waffles and cold items such as cereal, fruit and yogurts. I had booked for only one night here, but have extended my stay because of the quality of the property and pleasantness of the staff.

« Awesome Home Away From Home »

I have been staying at the Austin City Best Western for several years. If you want to stay in an atmosphere where every one is happy you are there, this is the place to stay. I have had to spend 3 and 4 days at a time here and am always treated with the same kindness. the housekeeping is excellent and the staff are always eager to make your stay has comfortable as possible.

    « Great Remodel »

This hotel has been completely remodeled. Very modern. Everything from the rooms to the pool area was very nice. Plan to stay here again. Hamburgers in the bar were wonderful. We had a room overlooking the pool.

« Great Place to Stay »

This was a clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, comfortable bed, friendly staff, close to downtown, decent breakfast--that was free, and very clean, private pool. Will stay here again. Price was very reasonable for Austin.

This is an awesome property. Stayed only one night due to schedule, but it is updated, clean and the staff are great.I only wish we had allowed more time in our trip for this area. Would easily stay here again.

    « Simply the BEST! »

My husband and I attended ACL weekend one and when I was searching for hotels everything was pretty much booked or overly priced. I came across this Best Western Plus and was a little apprehensive; why was it not booked and overly priced?? I booked it, we arrived and I was blown away with how friendly the staff was and how clean and cozy our room was! We'll definitely stay here again!
