"A Mixed Experience"
loves2travelandmore, 21 Février 2024

This Best Western is conveniently located for exploration of Apalachicola and St. George Island. The staff is outstanding--friendly does not do them justice. The hotel is somewhat dated and room entrances are on the outside, facing the parking lot. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and while there is no road noise, there is not adequate soundproofing. We were sandwiched between two rooms that housed very noisy occupants who talked, sang, played music, and played guitar--all loudly. They would also stand outside in front of rooms in order to smoke and was really just outside our door. I have no idea if alcohol was involved, but it very discourteous. I was reluctant to complain directly or via the front desk because of fear of damage to my vehicle--parked directly in front of our room. I did notify the front desk in the morning and received a heartfelt apology and assurances that they could have handled the matter if they had been notified. But, as stated, I did not want to risk some retaliatory measure against my car. Breakfast was pretty good, though the eggs were over-cooked the second morning and the orange juice was thin. The waffles, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, bacon/sausage, etc, provided plenty of choices. I loved the staff and hated the noise, but if we return to the area would consider Best Western--and request a quiet room, if possible.

"Very nice one night stay"
IrishChief, 17 Février 2024

The room was very clean and large. The fan in the bathroom a little loud but not an issue. Breakfast was sufficient and nicely maintained. Front desk staff friendly. Upon check out, Marion Jacobs was so friendly and helpful and a joy to engage with.

"Clean and comfortable."
Deano65, 16 Février 2024

Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. Staff was helpful and courteous. The room and hotel was clean and as expected. The breakfast room was small but clean, and all of the regular hotel fare was available. If visiting town we would consider stay here again, and would recommend.

"Getting old and it's showing"
Joy C, 13 Février 2024

Very friendly staff but this Best Western Inn is old and it's showing. The handrail on the exterior stairs to get to the 2nd floor was so wobbly, I was afraid it would fall off. The bathtub had black mold in the corners that calking had been put over. The mattress was comfortable but the sheets were not a nice quality. The towels were nice & white but some were very thin & others thicker.

"Friendly staff, convenient location"
DayTrip26841013345, 12 Février 2024

The Best Western was conveniently located along the highway. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was located next to the ice and vending machines so it was a bit noisy as guests used those resources. Room and bed were comfortable.

"Head housekeeping Tiffany will steal your belongings."
Always T, 10 Octobre 2023

I had $1500 on the dresser along with some clothes. When I returned everything was GONE. The head housekeeper Tiffany stated she accidentally put my clothes on her golf cart and went home. (She did return them later on. Yet she Denied she took my money of course. I did enjoy my stay for the most part just wish I didn't have my money stolen.

"Great Clean Hotel"
elegantlimousines06, 29 Septembre 2023

Great Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Full Breakfast which was wonderful. I will stay there again. Booking was easy. Room was brand new. A great choice for business or pleasure. Pleasantly surprised. ...

"Great customer service!"
beachlfgirl, 17 Septembre 2023

Our stay was clean, cool and comfortable! We spent one night on our way to Gainesville. I left my pillow when we checked out on Thursday morning. Called the office and spoke to Tiffany at the front desk. She located and mailed my pillow home, The package was on my front porch when we arrived home on Saturday afternoon! Thanks for your assistance!! Sure we will be back soon!

"Second report at this hotel"
Susan M, 28 Juillet 2023

A few years back I had reservations and problems with the previous owners. Last year I decided to try again and was pleasantly surprised that there were new owners. That trip was excellent as was this last experience. New owners, new management, and a very happy customer!

"Apalach inn in Apalachacola Fla (Best Western)"
Dream46883, 21 Juillet 2023

only a couple choices of inns in small town and this one is best of the 2. good breakfast (hot and cold selections - avg quality. clean room with wifi and overall an ok stay. friendly staff and good area

"May be best value for area but not near town or restaurants"
Jim S, 02 Juillet 2023

We stayed in this property after reading the Tripadvisor reviews for others in the area. The room was relatively clean and maintained but not new. The breakfast was nice and well attended to by an employee. Would have like to see some variation in eggs besides the egg white/yolk circular formed patty. The front desk was helpful and mailed my postcards even though the mail pickup at the hotel is spotty. There were bugs and wasp nest near my room 105 entrance and at one point a wasp got in the room. I managed to kill it but it could have surprised us later if I hadn't noticed it. The pool looked clean and well maintained although we did not use. There is an outside pair of washer dryer for guest use, but did not use. My biggest issue is that the location is about 2 miles from town and any restaurants. Going west there is nothing for 20 miles or so.

"Nice location with good layout and bathroom facilities"
Michael M, 13 Mai 2023

Nice place to stay if you want to explore St Georges island and the Apalachicola town. Friendly staff and good breakfast. One drawback for some seniors is that there is no elevator to take bags up to the second floor rooms.

"A good, clean Best Western at half the price"
nmhoosier, 11 Mai 2023

The Apalach Inn is still a good, typical Best Western, where you usually know what to expect. The staff are friendly and our room was clean. It is not updated or modern but it is fine for a Best Western. Our rooms there have consistently smelled of mildew, although that it typical for many places in the humid south in our experience. The breakfast is a typical motel "free" breakfast, and Donna, who takes care of the breakfast room, is a highlight. In our experience, based on traveling throughout the country in retirement, this particular Best Western is quite overpriced. It would be reasonable for the quality at half the price, but we paid over $180/night, with taxes, on non-weekend nights. Apparently the motel is quite booked with construction crews on most nights, which made for difficult parking occasionally. Because of the price, we will rethink our next trip to the panhandle and will likely not return after 20 yearly stays. My 4* review is based on the service and cleanliness, but I would give it 2* based on value or price.

"Recent stay"
Rhunter1117, 24 Avril 2023

All areas of this hotel were very clean and well appointed. From the lobby to the café' and especially our room; very nice place to stay! If I had to say anything that could be better, it would be the breakfast. The eggs and sausage links had bee setting in the warmer for a while and weren't as fresh as i would prefer. But, overall this place was awesome.

"A Cautionary Tale"
Holly M, 17 Mars 2023

I rarely leave a negative review but the stay here was disappointing. I was left shaking my head at all the rave reviews and feel obligated to provide balance. The location was just outside the hub of activity. That has pluses and minuses. You need to drive to the town center for restaurants and shopping... and parking there can be a bit challenging. But we knew that going in... no complaint there. The room... #211... upstairs on the second level with an outside entrance, was a plus for us. HOWEVER, when we opened the door upon arrival, the stench of frebreeze or floral-scented cleanser was overpowering. Neither of us are particularly sensitive to odors but this was literally choking us. We had to prop open the door for the first two hours. There was virtually no other way to ventilate the room. Underneath our room, opposite the base of the stairs, was a room with 4 young men. They honored the 'no smoking in rooms' policy by stepping outside to smoke but, guess what? Our room above them, with our door propped open, drew their smoke.... both tobacco and weed. Now we had a floral-weed-cigarette smell floating into our room. Bathroom lighting was poor; Bathroom door actually rubbed against the toilet when opening or closing; Toilet tank lid was cracked. Just an overall poor impression. We couldn't get the refrigerator to cool. Unfortunately we had placed food in it the first night thinking it was on. We noticed it immediately though and turned it to high. We figured it would go on and we'd be fine. The next day, we added a couple of other things to the fridge and found that it had never gone on and that the tray had filled with water and seeped all over the food. Still wasn't cooling. We were leaving so we reported it to the desk and hit the road. The best part of our stay was the friendly, helpful breakfast staff member. What a lovely person! For the price, $403.92 for two nights, midweek during the slow season, it isn't worthy of the rating. We have stayed at Best Westerns before and we will likely stay at Best Westerns again... but I'll keep a better eye on the reviews.

"Very nice stay."
lsgirl, 02 Février 2023

We stayed at this hotel because our first choice had no vacancies, but were very pleasantly surprised. The check-in person was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well-appointed. Even the free breakfast the next morning was surprisingly good! It is a little bit too far from downtown to walk to any restaurants in Apalachicola.

"Better on the inside!"
Kathleen K, 18 Janvier 2023

It's an old style motel. However, the room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets were crisp. The lady checking us in was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was the best I've had at a Best Westen in years, and the woman setting up the breakfast was super helpful. We've stayed at other hotels in the area, but this will be our go-to from now on.

"Good spot"
ngbtn, 01 Décembre 2022

Good location on the highway 98 as you come in to Apalachicola from the west. Just outside the historic district. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is somewhat like the old motel park in front style. Okay breakfast each morning. Sometimes heard folks in the neighboring room.

"Love this place"
Derek B, 02 Juillet 2022

My only regret was we got here so late and had to leave early. So kind and accommodating. We got some frozen meals at the piggly wiggly up the road cause it was late and everything else was closed already. We forgot silverware and the kind lady at the front desk got us covered. We had to leave early and they even provided us with some warm food before their start time. Felt like family almost and not just hotel guests. Adding this hotel to the great stops list. We will definitely be back.

"Easy to find"
941ellym, 14 Mai 2022

Room was clean, breakfast was provided and was fair. Air conditioner was loud but needed to drown out the road noise No complaints to speak of. Don't go on a Sunday if you want to eat dinner. All but one of the eateries in town closes on Sundays.

"Good place to stay while traveling through"
soerenrasche, 12 Mai 2022

We had a great room and good breakfast. The other guests were very loud which made it a bit hard to sleep. ( I know that is not the hotels fault) all in all it was a good stay. The room was well maintained and the pool looked nice

"Good stay to explore the surroundings"
Memorx, 12 Avril 2022

Clean an modern room. I liked the stay here. Also the personel were excellent. Claire at the Front desk was verry friendly and helpful. We‘ve also tested the pool area. Everything was working cland clean. Wifi and ac was available and working.

"Nice place to stay"
Anna G, 11 Avril 2022

We loved Apalachicola for its quite charm. And the hotel was part of it. Motel-type, no common corridor which is safer in Covid times; very spacious, clean and convenient room. Nice mattress and pillows, good shower. There was a problem with water (no water!) one morning but promptly fixed. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Worth the money!

"Good location for one night"
GolfUMK, 29 Mars 2022

As a Best Western rewards member we've seen many of different places. Unfortunately this one at the Forgotten Coast needs some face lift. Nothing to complain about cleanliness or the friendliness of the staff, but reception, rooms, breakfast area, outdoor pool should have a refurbishment soon, even sooner if one considers the relative high room rates. Not sure if we would stay here again.

"Did not live up to previous reviews "
debh2u, 26 Mars 2022

First, I will say the room was clean and the bed comfortable, but that's where the good news ends. Plumbing is a problem - toilet leaks/runs, sink drains slowly, hot water takes 5 to 7 minutes to warm up. The building is dark and the room dingy with black counters and tub. Air conditioner loud. Breakfast so-so. Old building with a fresh new sign is still an old building. Won't be staying here again.

"nothing special"
PegH561, 23 Mars 2022

This hotel is right on highway 98. It is a walk-up. The AC is regulated on the unit and not on a wall thermostat. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom (toilet.tub area) is very small. Sink out side the toilet/tub area is a plus. There was a light bulb out in the vanity area and the sink and tub drained slowly. We were given keys to a room that was occupied, a bit unsettling.

"trip to FL"
GJG-13, 23 Mars 2022

Was a nice hotel except that like the 2 other Best westerns I have stayed in over the last month it had NO Internet access for my lap top. Contacted hotel staff and they said they did not know how to fix it.

"No Complaints!"
Pat M, 18 Février 2022

Spacious room, good wifi. Breakfast offered good choices and variety. Refrigerator only had one shelf along with the rust and needs replacing. Comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. I would definitely stay here again.

"Quiet getaway"
jchittenden, 01 Février 2022

Very down home experience. Friendly staff, friendly guests. Our favorite A very quiet hotel. Friendly staff and friendly guests. We stayed for two nights. We have traveled a road the entire US; always staying in Best Westerns and this is our favorite!

"Perfect place for a stay in Apalachicola"
nmhoosier, 03 Décembre 2021

This motel is just what you expect for a Best Western, clean, quiet, reasonably priced, with a good breakfast. It is not fancy, but the price isn't either. Check-in was easy and friendly, and although I saw no masks anywhere, they did have a barrier at check-in. We particularly like the ability to park right outside of our door, which makes loading and unloading very easy. The breakfast is quite good for a motel, and Donna makes it more special by greeting you and constantly ensuring that everything is clean and well stocked. She's a gem, and every Best Western needs someone like her. The Apalach Inn is our go-to place for our yearly visit to Apalachicola.

"Friendliest Staff EVER!"
Jay S, 15 Novembre 2021

I was blown away by how friendly every staff member that I came into contact with was! The hotel is older - you can tell - but the rooms were very clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good and offered a lot of choices. If back in the area, I will be staying here again for sure!

"Good Value in the Forgotten Coast"
Joel A, 28 Octobre 2021

Hotel was clean, comfortable beds, rooms renovated, location convenient with lots of parking and a nice pool. The breakfast attendant, Donna, was exceptional, keeping an eye on the inventory levels, making recommendations, and cleaning up after each guest vacated their table. We have 60 hotel nights this year, mostly in three star hotels with breakfast, and Donna was by far the best. My only recommendation is that I would like to see a better selection of cereals, maybe corn flakes and Raisin Bran. Otherwise, about as good as it gets at this price point and hotel level.

"Weekend Getaway"
menglehardt1976, 11 Octobre 2021

Everything and everyone was outstanding love this hotel and the area great boating fishing and restaurants would definitely stay here again this is our fourth stay at this hotel and rates for the area is very reasonable

"Clean & nice"
FSU-Steve, 08 Octobre 2021

We visited Apalachicola, Florida in October of 2021. We spent 1 night at the Best Western there. The location was close to the middle of town . The service was good and the room was very nice and clean! If we return to Apalachicola, we will stay there again.

"Much needed getaway!"
S5927JMkathyl, 10 Septembre 2021

Enjoyed our short getaway in this quaint small town. Best Western rooms were clean and updated, staff was friendly and informative. The hot breakfast was a bonus. The pool was crystal clear. We would stay again.

"Awesome hotel, great breakfast, wonderful staff"
FlanFamilyTravels, 22 Août 2021

Out of the three Best Westerns that we stayed on for our road trip down to the Florida panhandle this was stars above the rest. Right from the beginning the staff was so friendly and helpful. I didn't realize it was an outside access hotel and the front desk staff switched us to a ground for room since we had several young children and we didn't want to carry all of our items upstairs. Very secure and nice location. Quick 20 minute access to nearby St George Island and the staff was also friendly to give us several tips and information about the island. Close to a CVS and other downtown attractions. Hotel room was very nice and modern. There was some caulking and ceiling wear in the bathroom but honestly as long as there's no bugs and the room smells and looks nice I never complain. Breakfast was also over the top and the lady was so friendly and helpful. Very small and nice motel. Would definitely recommend again and if you were going to state George Island this is an awesome place to stay. It sure beats the parking difficulties with all the other small ends in downtown area.

"Great location for quick beach getaways"
Highjacr, 09 Août 2021

We took a family fishing & beach trip. Good location between Cape San Blas and St George. They have boat parking, clean rooms, great pool area, fantastic complimentary breakfast and great staff. We will be going back. Only complaint is the internet is not reliable.

"Great Experience But Not So Great Internet"
Lanamama1, 21 Juillet 2021

This little motel was great for the area. Just a short 8 minute ride to St. George's Island beach and just down the street from what appears to be the center of Apalachicola. The rooms were nice, clean and comfy. The AC was a bit loud for my liking but not too bad. Luckily we had our hotspots for the internet because for some reason (maybe weather was a factor), we simply could not get it to work. We did not bother to contact the front desk since we had internet on our devices anyway. The breakfast included hot and continental options and the breakfast attendant was by far the best hotel staff I have ever encountered in the 47 years. Glad we stayed.

"Wednesday night stay"
Craig A, 14 Mai 2021

My wife and I stayed here Wednesday night. It is a nice little hotel off HWY 98. Only about 5 minutes from downtown. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Even with Covid restrictions they offer a limited breakfast.

"Short stay"
Tgilk2012, 08 Mai 2021

Location, price and pool— Perfect place for a long weekend. Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and the grab and go breakfast was nice to have if you didn't want to eat right away.

"Much needed short beach trip"
clkennedy444, 07 Mai 2021

This hotel is always great. We have stayed here a few times and service and room quality is great. Location is close to town and beach and fishing. We will definitely be back. Hopefully soon. Highly recommend

"Great ADA bathroom!"
KCsew, 07 Mai 2021

Able to park in a spot next to our room door which made getting our things in and out of the room very easy. Loved the look of the modern bathroom. Toilet had features to make it easy for a mobility challenged person to get on and off safely. Large shower chair with side extending beyond the tub to transfer easily. (photos included)

"Comfortable stay . Friendly, professional service. Charging stations for electric cars"
Mme_X, 04 Mai 2021

Quick summary: our room was clean and comfortable, with the amenities of a good Best Western property. Friendly, professional service. No elevator, so visitors with mobility problems should ask for a ground floor room. We stayed in room #201, which has two very comfortable beds (fine for me - a little distance from the snoring husband.) To note: no elevator, but the stairs are manageable for most, but should be noted for those with disablities. The room has all the amenities that have made us fans of Best Western affiliates -- comfy beds and pillows; microwave and fridge; good work space on a work desk; good bedside reading lights. Storage for your stuff includes three drawers in a chest. This room has a comfortable des chair and a "sitting" chair. The closet is an open rod, which makes me squirrely if staff comes if staff comes in the room - both less tidy-looking and I prefer to keep my private stuff to myself -- but there are fewer staff visits during COVID times. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination (thank you! I love a tub at the end of a long day.) I can't promise that they will offer these in the future, but the room had complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Spotless housekeeping. Wifi worked well. Good HVAC. Friendly, professional staff throughout. Good COVID practices on the part of the staff and how they manage the hotel. I sympathize with the management during COVID times when a signature amenity of the BW chain has been complimentary breakfast - not easy to do and still maintain good covid practices. We were offered grab-and-go muffin and instant oatmeal that can be made in the room, as well we bottled water. (Thanks especially for the oatmeal.) Nice looking pool area, although we did not use it on our visit. 'Nice to see the forward-looking practices - there are charging stations for two electric cars. Bravo!

"Average"
Jon H, 24 Avril 2021

Decent hotel but it is a quite dated property. It was clean and relatively quiet, but a large lizard could have easily made it into our room based on how the door fit (or the lack of weatherstripping) . No elevator for the second floor, but the stairs are easy. For the quality of the property, it was overpriced.

"Customer Service at its BEST!"
Chattahoochee02, 20 Avril 2021

While everyone at the hotel were very professional and polite, MaryAnn manning the desk at night brought it to a whole new level. We were there for a funeral and MaryAnn helped us after a very long and trying day. Thank you so much for your kindness!

"Weekend trip"
sonographer22, 04 Avril 2021

Very clean. Extremely nice people working there. Just outside historic district. Quick 5 minute trip downtown. Just an extremely nice community. Quiet and well kept. Anyone we ran across was extremely nice and welcoming.

"Apalach retreat"
Denmark G, 11 Mars 2021

Great location to tour Apalachicola, ST George, Mexico Beach and Panama City. Good landscaping, rooms, breakfast and friendly staff. Will recommend to friends and hope to return someday soon. I do wish it was a pet friendly.

"Clean, Comfortable and felt at home"
Culture705376, 11 Février 2021

The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Shower clean and great water pressure. Internet was quick and all in all, I will always stay at best westerns. Staff was friendly and made sure my stay was comfortable

"Fabulous Stay"
sas1330, 01 Février 2021

Apalachacola is a great region and this hotel is a wonderful place to stay while visiting. Staff is super friendly, and helpful. Hotel is spotless, rooms are updated and. Dry comfortable, excellent location. Definitely would stay again!

"Pleasant surprise"
LSL0826, 25 Janvier 2021

We booked last minute on a weekend road trip and were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Everything in the room looked to be brand new. Extremely clean and the front desk staff was nice as can be! Looking forward to visiting again!

"A very pleasant stay"
Richard U, 05 Janvier 2021

This Best Western is well-maintained with recently remodeled rooms that are very attractive. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly as well as very helpful. We have stayed here in the past and will be doing so in the future.

"Excellent Stay"
l0sttraveler78, 11 Octobre 2020

Clean, Sanitized and very comfortable Everyone was friendly and helpful. Bed was great, and it is quiet which makes for a great nites sleep...They follow all protocols for COVID so you can feel safe staying here. Grab & Go Breakfast is also good. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

"Wonderful even through COVID!"
638janef, 16 Juillet 2020

My husband and I were anxious for a getaway but apprehensive with the threat of COVID in our state. We decided to return to this hotel due to our very positive experiences in the past and were not at all disappointed! The cleanliness of this hotel was at a new level and every safety precaution was taken. Despite this, we were met by the kind and helpful staff and enjoyed our stay as much or possibly more than usual. We can't wait to go back!

"Nice hotel and friendly staff"
gwenysmith, 13 Juillet 2020

We had a great stay here and everything went well despite the Covid changes. We will be back on our next beach trip. Donna and Kristina took care of us and made us feel at home. My family was very happy and we felt safe.

"Clean & comfy"
AngieFite1967, 05 Juillet 2020

My first thought when I entered our room was clean! It was nice to feel comfortable in a hotel room. After we had been there about 30 min, the desk clerk called to see if everything was good. The beds were super comfy. The pool was nice too. I would stay here again. Thank you BW!

"Hidden gem"
Sean-Paul H, 28 Juin 2020

Perfect family friendly hotel within 30 minutes of the beautiful beaches of Cape San Blas and St. George Island. Located in a friendly small town. Staff is helpful and the room and pool were super clean.

"A fine stay in Aplach"
skippydg, 25 Juin 2020

We had a dandy time at the Aplach Inn. Easiest place to stay in the darling area. The place was calm and the pool was pretty nice, though we did zip off to St. George Island for the beach. Quiet place too!

"Great Staff--Clean Room"
elizabethmU977ZY, 03 Mai 2020

The staff here were super friendly and kind. We were traveling during the COVID crisis. The rooms were updated and clean. The one issue is the rooms were damp. That is not unusual in this area with high humidity and so close to the ocean. This was an older property that had been updated well and was very clean. But for some reason these concrete, cinder block buildings are always damp. Byt he time we left after several days, I was so hoarse I could barely talk. This always happens when I sleep anywhere that irt is damp--happens often for me in Florida beach areas. Newer hotels seem to do a better job of building structures that keep the dampness out. That said, this was probably the best hotel/motel in this area.

"Convenient"
Peter T, 12 Mars 2020

Right on Highway 98 on the way in to Apalachicola. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, ample breakfast. Coming from the UK I was surprised how much use was made of single use plastic both in the room and breakfast.

"Good time"
Willhodum, 11 Mars 2020

Great hotel the staff was great the lady's at the front desk and manager were fantastic. But the area needs more inexpensive restaurants. Hopefully some new places will come to town.but it is a pretty nice town.

"Clean, convenient, reasonably priced"
nmhoosier, 28 Février 2020

This motel is our usual place to stay when visiting Apalachicola. There is nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean, they are gradually replacing all of the carpet, and you can park in front of your room if it's on the first floor. The rooms are large and typical of Best Western motels. The breakfast is quite good with a lot of options and is overseen by a wonderful woman who makes sure everything is stocked and clean. This is such a nice touch. It is not inexpensive, but if you need a place to stay while touring the area, it's perfect, and it is less than the fancier places in town. If you want a southern-style place to lounge and sit on the veranda, this is not the place for you.

"A bit pricey"
18winz, 20 Février 2020

Upon arrival I noticed there were two floors with no elevator, I had a lot of baggage to bring to the room so I requested a lower floor they said they did not have any available however the front desk was accommodating and said they would try to get me into a lower floor the next day. When I get into the room the bathroom fan was running and there was a very overbearing scent of some type of fragrance almost trying to cover up odors. I stayed for four nights and every now and again there was a smell of urine in the room I'm not sure if it was the carpets but I think that's what the heavy fragrance was that they were trying to cover up. The bathroom had no shower curtain. I couldn't use the refrigerator because it was warm and I didn't know how to turn it on. The room was very clean which is a super plus for me. The pillows were not very comfortable but I always bring my own. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was typical. The hotel was a little bit noisy with the guests coming and going and slamming doors and car alarms going off. the rooms could use a little more updating the furniture and television set was fairly old. Overall the staff was friendly the room was clean and parking was ample.

"Had value, nice"
E9742SFronb, 12 Février 2020

Nice hotel just a couple of miles from city center. Clean room, excellent check-in and very good breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was very good. The hotel was along side the road but the rooms were very quiet. We will stay there again.

"Best Western Apalach Inn"
Richard U, 10 Janvier 2020

This Best Western is a very pleasant facility that offered a clean and comfortable room at a reasonable cost. The breakfast offered was what you usually find in a BW (one of the reasons we stay at these facilities) and the breakfast area was nice.

"Great place to stay!"
bcmcelroy1, 07 Janvier 2020

This is a very nice place to stay. We have stayed here several times in the last few years. Good breakfast. Nice bed and pillows. I did not have a reservation because we never know what day we might arrive.

"We really enjoyed Apalachicola, Hotel was decent"
DiverM, 30 Décembre 2019

We stayed here for a visit to Apalachicola for the first time. There is a lot of history here. We walked most of the town in a couple of hours on a 5 mile walk. You will likely want to drive to downtown if you don't want to walk a mile to get there. We did walk from the hotel. Breakfast was good and the service was good as well. The hotel was a bit on the pricey side when we went for what it was but we enjoyed everything anyway. When selecting the hotel I noticed it was close to the water and that was part of my reason for the selection however the water is not directly accessible so that should not be a consideration.

"No elevator, rooms smelled like a meth lab"
sanibelcats, 26 Décembre 2019

This is in FL, where there are lots of elderly. I can't believe they don't have an elevator. I have bad knees, and the desk clerk did offer to carry my bags for me when she got a chance, but that didn't help me get myself up and down the stairs. Several of the rooms had recently been repainted. As I approached mine, I started getting strong whiffs of solvent. The room was even stronger. I turned on the bathroom vent and waited a few minutes. I started having trouble breathing, so I went down the stairs and complained. The desk clerk put me in the room next to mine, which was even WORSE! And she admitted when I went back down stairs (remember there is no elevator and I'm a senior with bad knees) that she knew that that room had been painted at the same time as the first one I had been given. At that point my knees were in agony, and I was definitely having trouble breathing. I was exhausted, I knew there were no other rooms available anywhere near there, and I was furious. All of a sudden the clerk was able to put me in a room on the first floor without fumes. Why didn't I get that room when I first requested a first floor room, explaining I had difficulty with stairs?

stayed here during a trip to the panhandle area. nice, clean easy to access. convenient parking. nice breakfast and very nice and helpful attendant. easy check in/out. close to restaurants. fairly quiet, comfortable beds. would stay again if in the area.

"Needs Updating "
addtraveler10101, 16 Novembre 2019

Old school style motel. Clean inside, but in need of updating. You will be about a mile from downtown Apalach. The front desk gals are a joy, and the breakfast buffet server keeps the food hot and fresh.

"Nicest People Ever!"
lorettal715, 08 Novembre 2019

We travel a several times a year, in the Southeast. We have never been to a more friendly hotel. All the staff that we encountered was exceptionally nice, friendly, helpful! Check in and out was easy and all the ladies was super sweet! Breakfast was tasty- hostess was very friendly and helpful. She was eager to answer questions and helps us find our way! Rooms-very clean, beds comfy, housekeeping when above and beyond for us!!! Overall, a great place to stay!!!

"Nice find"
Barney P, 23 Octobre 2019

We have been to Apalachicola a half dozen times in the past 3 years and this was our first stop at this property. Glad we did. This property will be our base whenever we return. Low key, good service and a cut above what the rest of the area has to offer.

"Comfortable hotel for everyone"
MilaZommer, 22 Octobre 2019

It was a wonderful place in small town Apalachicola. The place was nice, very clean and very welcoming. The room ( with 2 beds) was big, comfortable with nice bedding and all you may need on the trip. The breakfast was very good with big selection from fruits to pastry, omelets and even waffle . We did enjoy our stay and grateful to friendly helpful stuff.

"Would Definitely Return"
Teri H, 13 Octobre 2019

Every person we came in contact with who works there was friendly and over-the-top helpful! The hotel is older and has been updated here & there. We were quite comfortable & pleased with our stay. Breakfast was good, similar to Hampton in, but a little less variety. The woman responsible for getting breakfast items stocked kindly went out of her way to help with any needs/issues we had. Definitely a place we'd return to if ever in the same area.

"Return Trip!"
638janef, 11 Octobre 2019

My husband and I enjoy mini trips to Apalachicola and always book this hotel. It's conveniently located and very quiet but best of all it's immaculately clean. Offering a full hot breakfast as well as a well maintained outdoor pool, it's no wonder it's so popular!

"overnighter for early appointment in port st joe"

The hotel was clean staff was very nice and helpful. The was large enough for my moms power wheelchair. the parking lot was well lit. The pool looked very welcoming we did not use it. I would stay again.

"Recommended!!"
thebunyons2010, 06 Octobre 2019

Great place to stay for any occasion. Greeted by smiling front desk clerk, kitchen attendant is awesome, and a great continental breakfast. . I recommend this place for your upcoming vacations, getaways, etc...

"Very Pleasant Stay"
Jackson285, 27 Septembre 2019

Best Western has a reputation for high standards and this hotel did not disappoint. Even though it is probably a former Days Inn it has been redone and freshly painted. The rooms are nicely appointed. The front desk has pool towels. There is a fitness room and the pool is old but lovely. Breakfast is included but the food lacks taste. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay again. Free Wifi

"top rate"
Buzde, 18 Septembre 2019

nice property, clean everywhere! Beds were first rate and the showers were great--convenient parking and uber friendly staff! Stayed here maybe 10 yrs back for the first time---will stay again when in the area

"Good stay...almost"
Clara C, 16 Septembre 2019

Amenities were good. Staff was gr8. Decor was nice. BUT, room 105 had mold on the ceiling in several spots. The ceiling was painted white, but the mold could be seen under it. My husbands allergies were exasperated by it. But, we didn't realize what the culprit was initially. Then, we looked up and noticed the mold. In their defense, we didn't report it. In everyone else's defense, no one should have to deal with mold or mildew in a hotel/motel, period. I recommended the staff inspect the ceilings in each room and rectify the issue appropriately to prevent anyone else from being sick.

"Clean room"
jimcL8021JP, 28 Août 2019

Service was good and the breakfast was ok. The room was really clean and it looks like they are renovating rooms. I would stay here again if in the area. Wish it was closer to water and town.they do have a decent pool

"Excellent place to stay!"
903sherrib, 19 Août 2019

Very well decorated, immaculate, plenty of room and the beds/pillows were super comfortable! India at the front desk was absolutely wonderful and gave great local recommendations. We had zero issues and a great stay.

"As good as it gets"
biztravel2, 12 Août 2019

We stayed two nights over a weekend. This is an old motel so except AC having trouble staying cool and being noisy, drains not draining, hearing people and cars outside in the parking lot, etc. The room was clean and had new furniture with a small refrigerator and microwave. They use too much cleaning solution in the room and it left a strong smell. The staff were very friendly, especially in breakfast room and cleaning folks. Most of the guests were construction workers and some of them with family so the breakfast room was crowded, especially late in the service time. The food and coffee was fine, similar to a Hampton Inn. There are no real choices in the area for nice places to stay so this is probably at the top of the list.

"Nice place to stay"
EZinn, 07 Août 2019

We were here for 3 nights while visiting family. The staff was very friendly at check in The rooms were clean (a bit old) The breakfast was OK. Pretty standard for a hotel Cleaning staff was friendly Pool looked nice but we did not use it Will stay here again on our next visit

"Great price"
RiverRat229, 15 Juillet 2019

Clean comfortable and good amenities Definitely would stay again. Rooms seemed recently remodeled. 2 minutes drive to downtown. Free Breakfast which was good. Pool was clean and had a little picnic area.

"Clean, friendly well maintained Inn"
Andrew P, 27 Juin 2019

Just stayed a couple of nights but was very pleased with the cleanliness, general upkeep and the friendliness of the staff from the front desk, housekeeping and even the attendant at the breakfast area. I'm not sure if I'll ever be back in that area of Florida but if I am I will stay at this Inn.

"Name says it all!"
Juanita S, 21 Juin 2019

Name says it all! Best Western is the best. Very good accommodations, great staff. The pool area was great. Our grandson loved it.Very friendly staff. Very close to excellent restaurants. Will definitely stay there again!

"A good overnight stopover"
Bungaymike, 14 Juin 2019

Everything as you would expect from a BW hotel, tidy, comfy, well located. Nothing brilliant just a very good place to stay. Just a short drive from the waterfront where most of the towns restaurants are located, this hotel hits the spot.

"Mildew and Overpriced"
Passport36498099321, 22 Mai 2019

We checked into our Room late at night and were unfamiliar with the area. Our room smelled so bad like mildew. The front desk gave us a can of lysol, which did not help at all. It was horrible. We got out of there first thing. It was the Worst hotel/motel room.

"GREAT MANAGEMENT"
jamkib, 11 Mai 2019

We were checked in fast. Adequate parking. Clean comfortable room. Good wifi. Easy access to most areas nearby. Adequate choices for breakfast. Had left behind personal belongings. The Manager graciously took responsibility to mail it to Canada, at my cost. This was sincerely appreciated. Would stay again.

"Best Western Appalach"
John G, 07 Mai 2019

This motel managed by the Patel family for many years exceeded my expectations in many ways. The front desk people were very efficient, friendly and helpful . Donna had the breakfast buffet ready on time and stocked up. She kept it spotlessly clean and had a friendly greeting for everyone. The coffee was very good quality and available all day as were a selection of teas and a flavored water(lemonade) that was refreshing after a hot day. The room was clean, neat and the room cleaners were prompt, fast and friendly. I would recommend Best Western Appalach to anyone visiting the area. If you have trouble with stairs, let them know as they don't have an elevator.

"Nice Place"
mr_guns, 06 Mai 2019

Asked for a pre-registration request and they took care of me. The staff was very friendly and helpful with area information. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. WiFi was good and needed it since T-Mobile was not very good in the area. Breakfast was what you expect from BW. I will stay there again in the future.

"Very Clean"
Scarlett P, 30 Avril 2019

The Best Western, Apalach Inn is an older hotel but the staff keeps it very well maintained. Our room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. I only wish the breakfast lasted until 10 to allow more time after sleeping in. I would love if all hotel rooms would get rid of carpet and go to laminate flooring. Overall, I will definitely stay in this location again. Some of the best seafood restaurants, wonderful fishing, and beautiful beaches on the coast are in this area. I will recommend it to friends.

"Great budget hotel"
MelinaHinton, 27 Avril 2019

Room was spacious and comfy. Staff were helpful. Drove right up to handicapped accessible room for impaired guest. Only there for one night but more than adequate. Breakfast was included and more than enough choices. Finally got my waffles!

"Older Hotel But Nicely Maintained"
Jolynn H, 21 Avril 2019

This hotel is older, but clean. Liked that the toilet area was separate from the sink and mirror. It had a nice magnifying mirror. Pretty large room. There is no elevator so if you are on the elevator you need to carry your luggage up about 15 steps. Front desk personnel was very nice. Breakfast was fine.

"Very Pleasant Stay!"
drekka2019, 09 Avril 2019

I had a great experiance with Best Western of Apalachicola, FL. I only book this Hotel Facility when I'm in the area, been doing so for years! I highly recommend the Hotel. The staff is very friendly. The area is quiet and the complimentary breakfast is outstanding. My overall stay at this facility has been great whenever I'm on town.

"OFF the beaten path"
Matt M, 07 Avril 2019

This Best Western is a little older, could use some upgrades, has had some heavy use since we have been there in 2016, lots of contractors helping out with storm damage, they are nice, professionals, but they do smoke on the staircase which kinda ruined our privacy, we like to keep door open on cool evening , furniture in room is a little worn and dated, price is quite high compared to other BW a short drive to Crawfordville.

"Great stay in a lovely spot!"
Kathyindenver, 02 Avril 2019

What an excellent property--lovingly cared-for, managed, cleaned, maintained, and priced. This is THE place to stay in this area. Terrific breakfast, outstanding desk crew, beautiful rooms, excellent beds, nice gardens in a quiet location. Restful and beautiful!

"Nice place to stay."
Islandiver, 19 Mars 2019

This hotel is good. It is not the Ritz Carlton, but it is nice. It's very good considering it's a best western. Room was clean. The vanity lights in the bathroom were nice and bright. You could actually see nicely. Also had a nice attached to the wall magnifying mirror. Mattresses were comfortable. Nice checkin/out crew. Good nights stay for a reasonable price.

"Comfortable, convenient and handicap friendly."
SciDancer, 10 Mars 2019

We enjoyed a very comfortable mobility accessable room. Excellent breakfast and housekeeping service. Very helpful front desk to guide our tour of Apalachicola history. The location was perfect for day trips to East Point, Carrabelle, Wakulla Springs, and St. Marks.

"didn't like this place"
Paul K, 02 Mars 2019

I did an extensive search and located this place for a stay while doing some fishing in the area. The reviews were pretty good. The place was disappointing. It's on the outskirts of town so to get to all the restaurants you will need to drive. The place was packed with individuals working in the area with trucks and equipment. I appreciated them being there getting things sorted out after the hurricane but they woke me up every morning as they would congregate outside of their rooms and smoke and talk on the phone at 0700 every day that I was there. Then they would jump in their trucks and you would hear back up beeping and revving then they were gone. Didn't appreciate the wake up call or cigarette smoke. Since all rooms open directly onto the outdoors and these guys were inconsiderate there was no avoiding this. The rooms are somewhat dark and dingy. One review said the place was fairly new (?). That's hard to believe. Not my cup of tea. I will find some other place next fishing trip.

"Our First Stay in Apalach"
Sharon H, 09 Février 2019

The room was a little pricey, but probably due to limited hotels to choose from, but a nice room, updated vanity, very roomy and king bed was comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. Room was clean and if we pass through this area again, we will put this on our list to stay.

"Great newer place to stay in Apalachicola"
JoeP227, 20 Novembre 2018

Of course it's clean and well-kept because it's fairly new. But the staff was fantastic and very helpful with things to see in the area. And the hot breakfast was excellent and well attended to. Just a short drive to downtown

"Great room, great price"
michaelb6052014, 07 Octobre 2018

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Included a microwave and fridge. The staff was friendly and helpful and efficient. There was a lovely pool and a large deck. There were numerous breakfast items to choose from.

"St. George Trip with Fiance"
shinobi1800, 29 Septembre 2018

This hotel was very nice and remodeled and in very nice looking conditions and room was very clean and nice and with all new remodeled bathroom and furnishings , the hot breakfast was very big and nice and more than expected , the hotel was also motorcycle friendly and arrived late at night and offered to let me park up front and leave the bike under the main awning and camera view which was very nice and offered much peace of mind and everyone was very nice and helpful and definitely would recommend this place to friends and family and we will definitely use this place again in the future and just felt very nice and fancy for only 99$ that night! Thanks Best Western! Michael C. II

"Located on the outskirts of town, fairly reasonable accommodations."
William G, 15 Septembre 2018

This location is near fast food restaurants, grocery stores, but a short distance to Apalachicola's great Seafood eateries and historical downtown district. The front desk personal are very nice and accommodating, even let us check out at noon instead of 11 o'clock, so we could go on another tour that morning. It has two floors with outside entrances and parking. There is a noise element in the early evening from the parking, but to be expected with this older set up. The room was exceedingly clean for a tourist area. Stayed in 204 and must commend the maid as everything was perfectly clean and arranged. Large King room with a smaller couch for seating, nice screen television/cable with a desk/ WIFI. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens. In room coffee maker, ironing board/ hair dryer and small fridge/ microwave too. Nice larger vanity section too. The shower/ tub toilet was separate which was nice for privacy. The carpet is dated ,but appeared clean. Wish they would have had better towels. Nice upgraded toiletries a plus. We enjoyed the muffins and pecan pastries, as well as the waffle and fresh coffees in their breakfast area. Would recommend for a quick stay over to the area. Your may need to have the a/c turned down a bit at first to cool off the room, but in no time was comfortable.

"Reasonable rates for a good motel"
Donna H, 10 Septembre 2018

This is my first stay here and I'm very pleases. They were reasonably priced to be so close to the shore. The room was very clean with two queen beds a fridge and microwave. They had a nice breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay again if I have a chance.

"One More Time"
ateach, 26 Août 2018

We have stayed here 3 or 4 times in past years, and it looks a bit different this time - for the better. Our room was a handicap one on the ground floor. Please note that even though this hotel has a second floor, there is not an elevator, just stairs. Our room was large with a comfortable king bed, a sofa bed, cocktail table, desk and chair, a stand that holds the microwave and small fridge. The carpet appeared to be fairly new. The bathroom was wheelchair accessible with plenty of grab bars. However, it had a tub/shower combination, not a walk-in shower. They did provide a large portable bench for the tub, which I didn't use because it would have filled the tub area, making it difficult to get into the tub and sit down. A small shower seat would be better. The hose on the hand held shower head needs to be longer. The soap, shampoo and towels were great. Every part of the room and bathroom was very clean and the AC worked fine. Our room was on the pool side of the hotel. On our stay, only one man used it, so it was quiet. There is a deck type seating area next to the pool with tables and chairs. That area is nicely designed and stocked with plants. The facility only has one ice machine, which for every stay we've had at this place has been a problem. At the time of our arrival around 4pm, we were able to get a small ice bucket of ice for our room. When we came back from dinner, there was no ice and we were told at the front desk that it was probably due to someone filling their cooler. The next morning, the ice machine still had no ice. I think that after years of having this unaccommodating issue, you'd think they would get a few more ice machines or figure out how to restrict the ice vending so that ALL guests get ice when needed. The complimentary breakfast was meager compared to other hotels we've stayed at. Yes, they had the standard waffle machine, the usual juice, coffee, terrible bacon, mini bagels, hard boiled eggs, packets of oatmeal, cold cereal, and more. The woman attending the breakfast area kept it well stocked and clean. However, she kept to the back room and when she was servicing the area, she never smiled, didn't greet guest or offer to help. Not the best way to start the morning. Check-in was cordial and fast as well as check-out. Overall, I feel it is a little overpriced, but still a decent place to stay one or two nights. It is in a very lovely area and the town of Apalachicola is a hidden gem with a few great restaurants and a wonderful history.

"Apalachicola Vacation"
Linda W, 21 Juillet 2018

Very nice hotel. Staff was very pleasant, especially Christina at the front desk. Breakfast was very good everyday and the ladies that served us were all very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this location.

"Eh won't go back "
Marsha N, 14 Juillet 2018

Well we needed a place to stay for two nights and this was the only place available. Walked in and it was a musty smell we decided we would deal with it for two nights. The bed was uncomfortable, we did have good a/c tho. The pool did need to be treated it had a green tent to it. The breakfast consisted of eggs (they were gross), bacon, biscuit and gravy (I didn't try them). There was pre packaged oatmeal you could add water to and cook it. We are use to staying at a Hampton or Homewood Suites so maybe that's why we didn't enjoy our stay. To be honest I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless it's the last choice.

"Clean room, quiet"
Pam M, 27 Juin 2018

Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Front desk clerk friendly. Breakfast had hot items like eggs, sausage, gravy & biscuits. NO elevator--had requested a first floor room when we made the reservation, but evidently it was given to someone else since we didn't arrive until 9:00 pm and we ended up on the second floor. I would have thought a Diamond Select member would have gotten the type of room reserved. Also, only newspaper available was a local paper. Seems like for a hundred dollars a night, they would offer something a little better.

"Depends on the room, depends on the staff"
blaklys, 22 Juin 2018

Upon check in, we had a positive experience with the front desk staff. Wish I could remember her name, as she went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed (she was the dear lady who was vacationing the following day with family at Disney) . Our first room was clean, if not somewhat musty smelling. Clean, comfortable bed, sheets and pillows. Air conditioner was updated, quiet and icy cold, fabulous shower. Breakfast was fair. Coffee tasted watered down. I like that Tuvia (stevia) was offered, but even when I used double coffee packs in room to get a better cup, the coffee was as if drinking coffee mixed with tea- weak, boiled water. Scrambled eggs were rubbery, hard boiled eggs were cooked properly. We had another room when we came back the next day. The room smelled cleaner, but the air conditioner was terrible. It was old with a retrofit thermostat. We ran it for at least 2 hours with no change in temperature, very warm. It was stuffy, and the A/C was noisy. We asked and got another room. It was slightly musty with another noisy air conditioner. A/C kept us up all night, turning on and off with noise each time. Pillows were ALL mushy flat, not like our first room, which offered soft and firm pillows. We've lived many, many years in very hot, humid climates, so we're not adverse to heat, but we also know when A/C systems are tired, in need of repair or replacement. Our third night, we asked for another room, which was as good as we experienced the first night. Upon check out, as we headed out for a long day, I asked the first desk person for a bottle of water. Apparently bottled water for paying guests is an expensive commodity at Best Western, unlike Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, and other hotels who graciously offer bottled water, because the front desk lady grumpily informed me to get a cup of water or purchase it from the vending machine.

"Quiet location, very large room – value for money"
Jay K, 05 Juin 2018

Lady at front desk was very helpful - We got there late and needed to use laundry and have dinner, she helped us with number to local pizza and change and detergent for laundry. Room was large and clean. Sink out side the bathroom helped us 3 girls get ready a bit quicker. Aircon was very loud but it didn't bother us that much. Basic breakfast but good enough.

"one nite say review"
Othgrod, 29 Mai 2018

Overall stay was good. Clean rooms with the exception of some mold under the fridge. If I stayed longer, I would have requested it be cleaned or replaced. The price is a bit much for the location but this is one of the cheaper hotels and its a good value for the price

"Apalach Inn as must !"

Very nicely updated and quiet Best Western in Apalachicola. Wonderful small town off the beaten path. Room and service was excellent. Tasty breakfast hot food bar with a good variety. Will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

It's usually true that staff can make or break a visit . This is true of the jolly lady on reception " Christine " I think. B dot Com had messed up our bookings so she sorted it all out , marvellous. Nice clean room and a good breakfast made the visit.

"Excellent"

Great facility inside and out. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was located right by attractions we wanted to see and experience. We will definitely book the hotel again if we travel back to the area. Great time and memories.

"“Pleasant motel on the outskirts of Apalachicola”"
tiggersuki, 04 Mai 2018

Good location just outside Apalachicola. Room had comfortable beds and a good shower. Good little laundry area. Price good. Area worth a visit as this is such a nice little historic town, but here you are a bit far to walk in. Breakfast not up to much. Stairs often had food rubbish on them overnight, but staff were quick to clear up when told

"Much better than expected"
vrl007, 02 Mai 2018

We did not want to stay at a B&B in the Apalach area and this was the only chain option. We were very pleased with the simple but very clean accommodations. The clerk checked on us to see if everything was ok after we arrived. All was good: clean updated bathroom, newer TV, Wifi working, newer bedspreads. The breakfast was as good as we've seen even better. We'd stay here again.

"quality and value"
michaelaR5653FL, 29 Avril 2018

Everything was in good working order. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall, very good value for the price. The location was especially good for me and very easy to find.

"Good stay"
sunseaadventure, 16 Avril 2018

One night stay on a road trip. Hotel is conveniently located a short ride from town (one road, straight in), which made it a better value than hotels/B&Bs in town - but you'll need the car. Easy parking in town, though - so not a problem. Hotel is clean, check-in and out was easy, no complaints at all. If you are looking for a comfortable stay in a cute town this place fits the bill.

"Older hotel but very clean"
HarryLeland_nc, 02 Avril 2018

This hotel is out of town. It has all the little things that are lacking in other places. The breakfast was excellent and the attendant was very attentive. My wife and I thought that it was one of the best breakfasts we have had in a hotel.

"Great Hotel!"
Candela C, 27 Mars 2018

First time to stay in a Best Western, and I do not regret this one. It was neat and clean in every corner!!! The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly, and the amenities were nicely maintained. I particularly enjoyed having my coffee in the morning at this great patio area (see pictures)— great hotel all the way around.

"Pricey For the Location"
Charles M, 27 Mars 2018

New property about 1.5 miles out of downtown. Two floors without elevator. If I had it to do again would have booked in town. Bid $105 on Priceline.Good price for Apalachicola. Found this area is just plain expensive. Large room with two queen beds. Good work area. Excellent bedding and toiletries.Table and chairs. Fridge, micro, coffee maker and flat screen TV. Helpful staff. Great hot breakfast.Pool. Supermarket 1/2 mile away.

"Family-Friendly Accomodations on Florida's Forgotten Coast"
phunkylady79, 23 Mars 2018

There are not a lot of choices of lodging in the Apalachicola area, which is what led us to choose this Best Western. Upon arriving there with my family of 6, we were pleasantly surprised by the clean, cheery appearance of our rooms, friendly staff and very nice pool area. We had booked two connecting rooms, one with a King for my husband and I, and one with 2 queens for the kids. Both rooms were clean with all the basics you would expect from a chain hotel, and everything was in working order. The pool area featured a good-sized pool with several tables and lounge chairs. We used the pool several times during our 2 night stay, and while it was a little cold, the kids still loved it. We were there in Mid-March. If you go Dec-Feb, I would not be expecting to use the pool, since it is not heated. We had the free breakfast the hotel offered all 3 mornings. The main items were a little different each day, and my family enjoyed the variety. The coffee tasted great, and the woman running the breakfast area was friendly and efficient. While this hotel is slightly out of town, it was just a short (10 minute?) walk into town, which I enjoyed each morning before the rest of my family woke up. The location right outside Apalachicola and only a few minutes from Eastpoint, Carrabelle, and Port St. Joe, was perfect. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

"Great Night"
STTfan-77, 02 Mars 2018

This Inn is a great example of a clean, well kept motel. It is definitely an older complex, but it has been updated. There was a sparkling clean bathroom, flat screen TV, clean and nicely folded linens and bright lighting. Our heat/cool unit was new and put out clean air. If you are assigned a second floor room, they will make you aware of steps to climb. Call early for the main floor.

"Beyond Our Expectations!"
Gigi S, 25 Février 2018

Remodeled and very clean rooms! Guest service staff very friendly, knowledgeable. Breakfast offers plenty: fresh fruit, bakery, organic teas, an assortment of hot and cold cereals, yogurts and waffles for children. The breakfast area is very clean - overall a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend any traveler to stay at this hotel. Priced competitively and a little more than a mile to downtown Apalcahicola. We will definitely be back!

"Night before st. George Island"
Tom H, 23 Février 2018

Several couples rented a house on st. George Island. We arrived in the area the afternoon before. The Best Western is a prefect location for the stopover before going to the island. The front desk was friendly and quick to get us all checked in, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar in the morning was very adequate and we'll managed. There is a nice seating area to relax outside and share a bottle of wine. As it turned out, we left a small cooler behind, they called us and held it till we could retrieve it. Nice to have proactive customer service!

"Dream Stop"
douglasc676, 14 Février 2018

Booking our room - easy. Front desk personal extremely helpful in getting us a room in Crystal River the next night then coming through when we decided for 2 nights, plus making sure we got first floor. The breakfast had 3 hot choices plus all the other goodies and waffles. Beats the heck out of Days Inn.

"Nice surprise in the 'forgotten coast' area."
CenTex08, 13 Février 2018

We spent a couple nights here while searching the 'forgotten coast' for sea shells. No shells but found Apalachicola to be a quaint little town with a historic background. The Inn is well maintained and is nicely decorated, comfortable and quiet. Staff persons were very pleasant.

"equal to or better than some hiltons and mariotts."
PHILIP L, 13 Février 2018

Wow. For such a small hotel in a relatively out of the way place, this hotel was great. Very clean, comfortable beds, good shower. The owner keeps the place in great condition. The furniture is not 'modern.' But that's ok. This is a very comfortable place.

"Great in all the important ways"
hillis06, 06 Février 2018

We were taking the "scenic route" from southern Florida to New Orleans, and this was a good stopping point. The room was spacious, very clean, and reasonably priced. The staff was all friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

"Best value for your money"
USNA73, 25 Janvier 2018

This is an above average Best Western. It is the only chain hotel in town, so a little pricey for a BW, but better than the local mom and pop motels. This BW has probably the friendliest staff of any I have seen. Their attitude seems genuine as opposed to your typical put on. The rooms are clean and well stocked. It was in the 30's when we checked in and the heat in the room had been turned on before our arrival, which is unusual in this area. Usually the HVAC is off and you have to wait for the unit to heat or cool the room. Breakfast was very good and a staff member was assigned to the room to insure all items were restocked in a timely manner. Again, unusual for a hotel in this price range. It is a small hotel by BW standards and the sign out front is small also so it is easy to miss, but once found I think you will enjoy your stay.

"Wonderful motel! "
Judy B, 22 Janvier 2018

We have stayed here two different times and find it to be a lovely, cleanmotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommend! Apalachicola is a great little town and fun to visit! Good breakfast too!

"PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!"
jimbo121212, 06 Janvier 2018

Wasn't expecting such a nice room for $100. but the room was clean, big, had a couch, flat screen TV and the room was warm. It was 40 degrees and I was surprised to enter a warm room. Christina at the front desk was cheerful, helpful and most accommodating. It's not a Marriott or Hilton but hotels in Apalachicola are limited and this one exceeded my expectations.

"Great place to stay"
Mbaber43, 06 Janvier 2018

Great place to stay. Room was clean and comfy. Convenient to shops and stores. The staff was excellent. I was very satisfied with my stay. The first time this week that I had 5 star service. I will stay again

"Spacious and comfortable rooms, a bit far from town center"
Jarimalla, 18 Décembre 2017

If the Apalach Inn was located a bit closer to the town center it would be downright wonderful, though that is probably the biggest reason you can get a very spacious room for a very reasonable price. There seems to be only couple of taxis in town and getting a ride can be cumbersome and time consuming. The pool is small and the water is downright hot after a long sunny day. Excellent value for an overnight stay and very good location to explore the beautiful surroundings of Apalachicola.

"Good value"
charlescW9055WB, 07 Décembre 2017

This room was a good value. Amenities and service were excellent. Very friendly staff. Adequate housekeeping service. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast room was very nice. Not very crowded this time of year (December 2017).

"Great in every way"
paul75hw, 06 Décembre 2017

SUPER nice people. CLEAN room and grounds. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend 2017 and wish we had stayed longer. Great BREAKFAST. Everything worked as expected. We were traveling through the area and noticed 2 motels in town. I am glad we chose this one.

"Very marginal"
631waynef, 26 Novembre 2017

Poor front desk service. Room A/C noisy and smelled of mold when it came on. Room cleanliness very marginal, needs update badly. Bed was say too soft. Like sleeping in a hammock. Fairly nice breakfast each morning.

"Bad electronic door lock and no ice machine working on second floor"
TS67SS, 12 Novembre 2017

overall the stay was fine, the little aggravation of the door key having to be reprogrammed 5 times was real annoying and the fact the second floor ice machine did not work at all was a real turn off, but I would stay here again and hope to get a room that the door lock worked better.

"Attractive, Clean, Friendly, Great Value"
mckaren_11, 12 Novembre 2017

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at the Best Western Apalach Inn. We nearly missed the turn-in because the building and grounds fit into the landscape so well. Our room was spacious, with a nice dressing/bath area (we enjoyed the whirlpool tub). The staff could not have been nicer, and the breakfast choices were extensive (from small omelets, to waffles, to yogurts, to build-an oatmeal---I wish I had had room for more!) A great value!

"Enjoyed Our Stay"
Sarah R, 07 Novembre 2017

Passing through the area for one night. We enjoyed our stay at this local motel. Check in was efficient & friendly. This is a two story motel style building. We were on the first floor and were able to park our car right outside our door. Our room was spacious & clean. The bed was very comfortable. We were pleased with this Best Western and would stay here again.

"Florida vacation"
B5662MXmichaels, 05 Novembre 2017

Great hotel sitting in the right location for our trip around the Gulf of Mexico. Service and breakfast were more than expected for price and area of this hotel. Staff were more than professional in all areas.

"Apalachicola"
paulbV420YQ, 31 Octobre 2017

Not a lot of choices in Apalachicola. I've stayed at this BW a few times as well as two other properties here. This one meets my needs the best. Not very fancy but adequate. Desk clerk this stay was outstanding. Only issue this trip was rate. Definitely out of season date but rate was closer to in season for a hotel without a lot to offer other than basics.

"great hotel"
nicholasgK6528CO, 30 Octobre 2017

Clean and well maintained hotel with great workers, large parking lot well lighted, nice outdoor pool, also great free breakfast. Very close to beach, fishing, site seeing, restaurants, and attractions. Would stay again next trip to area.

"Good value stay in Apalachicola"
586jackv, 25 Octobre 2017

This property is clean, well maintained and comfortable. We will visit again. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, as well as helpful providing information about the Apalachicola area. I would recommend a stay in the area at this facility.

"Best place to stay in Appalachicola, Fl"
Joan H, 23 Octobre 2017

The location is minutes from the downtown. The staff is friendly, kind and so caring. They went out of their way to help me and make my stay pleasurable. There is a full hot breakfast; scrambled eggs, meat, etc. The room is clean and beds were very comfortable. Price is very reasonable.

"Great place to stay."
Doris W, 20 Octobre 2017

We have stayed here now twice and we love the hotel. The staff is super nice. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The pool is wonderful and we love the little deck. It's a good value as well. We will be staying here again.

"all expectations fulfilled"
globalJuergen, 20 Octobre 2017

a nice Best Western hotel, very friendly Service, spacious, quiet & clean room with well working A/C and WiFi, clean bath with nice shower, good complimentary continental breakfast, relatively close to town center

"Noisy"
carribeanmystic, 20 Octobre 2017

This hotel is located close to street and noise is definitely a factor. Also price for room was a little steep for off season. The city itself is beautiful and worth visiting. Would visit city again but stay somewhere else.

"We enjoyed our four night stay."
Englishlakedistrict, 15 Octobre 2017

Travellers in the 'Forgotten Coast" area will be aware that there are far fewer hotels than in most parts of Florida, so choices are limited. This one is not a BW Plus and is more akin to a good standard motel in appearance - with its two storey design and parking outside the rooms, and all doors facing the parking lot. The check- in was very friendly and we found the twin-bedded room clean, tidy and fresh smelling. I believe they have recently been refurnished. There was a decent fridge and a microwave, free, fast wi-fi and a super, generous-size pool area nearby. Complimentary all- day coffee in the lobby was to our taste. The breakfast was fine for us, but may disappoint those expecting more choices. The lobby PC was desperately slow and the printer would not print anything (maybe needed a plug-in?). It is around a mile out of downtown down the main road which is mostly quiet. We enjoyed our four nights here.

"Basic place to stay"
sjhb07, 22 Septembre 2017

At the end of the day when we were prepared to go to bed, we found "spots" on the bottom sheet and trash cans that had not been emptied. Ended up sleeping on a top sheet. The breakfast was very basic.

"Not A Best Western PLUS"
Ria W, 02 Septembre 2017

The room was basic, breakfast was basic, and I have always disliked parked cars next to the hotel doors reminiscent of cheap motels. The AC wasn't centralised so it was noisy. I guess I've stayed in too many Best Western PLUS hotels, and I should be fair and not compare this one to the others. The room rate was too much for the average room we received. However, to be fair, this BW was clean, and the rates would be better than the expensive ones offered near the water for the limited budget travellers.

"Best Western is the best!"
jcaroltyd, 01 Septembre 2017

This is a very good place to stay. The location is really good, you are just minutes away from the center part of the town, and a short drive to St. George Island. The room was IMMACULATE. I have stayed in 5-star hotels that were not as clean as this location. AJ the Manager was very friendly and professional. Briana and Christina at the front desk were very helpful with tips on seeing attractions. Mary kept the breakfast bar hot and fresh. And last, but not least, Miss Benita kept our room spotless. I would stay here again, and definitely recommend this hotel to my friends!

"Good Basic Place to Stay"
JB02, 30 Août 2017

For this area this was a good hotel. The door faces the parking lot so you get some noise. The room is basic. They were clean. Checking in and out was easy enough and the staff was helpful. It comes with a mini-fridge, microwave and Wi-Fi.

"Not Fancy, But Fantastic"
jlechtm, 28 Août 2017

I travel to the Big Bend of Florida as often as I can to explore Apalachicola National Forest. And this hotel is my go-to every time I'm there. Staff is very friendly and helpful (and Christine at the front desk when I checked in was a standout among an already great staff). For a discount hotel in a small town, it was a great experience. Clean and comfortable with a surprisingly good breakfast bar. Only complaints: No elevator to 2nd floor and the door to my room did not fit well. Everything locked and was secure, but I could see wide gaps all the way around it. Even at full, cold A/C, the room was still warm (I'm assuming because a lot of the cold air escaped around the door.

"Great place to stay"
269claudiae, 16 Août 2017

It's a very nice and clean place. It was renovated and updated recently. The staff was super nice and helpful. Will stay there again any time. It is not far from the town center. The price is good too.

"Very nice place to stay."
chippewa1972, 14 Août 2017

This is a very nice hotel to spend the night or more. The room and grounds were very well maintained. The staff was very nice and professional. Upon checking in there was no ice. The front desk girl went to the second floor, no ice. She then went to the kitchen to get ice for me. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel . We will stay here again.

"Great place"
raymondmclaughlin, 04 Août 2017

I spent a night there last week and was pleasantly surprised from the time i drove up until the next morning when I left. First impressions were clean grounds and lobby. Sam checked us in and couldn't have been more pleasant. Upon our departure I met Mr. Patel to let him know about our experience and let him know he was running a good show there. Thumbs Up!

"Okay for quick stay"
markwE6307WR, 28 Juillet 2017

This hotel was pretty good. Room was large - 2 queen beds, table, 2 chairs, desk and chair, TV and full bathroom. Could have had more drawer space, but otherwise, good accommodations. Location was very good.

"Jewel on the Forgotten Coast"
Dorothy S, 21 Juillet 2017

This is one of the best BW I have stayed in. I am a Gold level BW reward member, so have stayed at quite a few BW's, including 3 multiple day visits to this hotel since 2010. It is consistently excellent. Clean, every staff member I have encountered is friendly, efficient and helpful. Convenient to grocery stores, downtown Apalachicola (short drive) and St George Island and a free FULL breakfast!!

"Great place great value"
chippewa1972, 16 Juillet 2017

Well run hotel. Great staff and breakfast. I am sure you could go some where else and pay more and not have as nice a stay. I do not know why I need to post two hundred words when I have said ever thing that needs saying in the first two sentences !

"Management is rude"
jasonrK2010TL, 16 Juillet 2017

Toilet overflowed water pouring all over floor while trying to stop the water the toilet lid which was cracked broke into part fell on floor and broke more. I went to front desk was gave plugger and towels, I had to clean everything up no one offered. I am being charged 150 dollars for a toilet lid that was already cracked. The general manager was very rude and hateful to me on the phone she hung up on me. Also there was black mold growing on the wall behind the toilet. And the door lock on our room was broke. Do not stay at this hotel!

"Best deal in Apalachicola!"
Esther33_13, 15 Juillet 2017

Rooms are large and spotless. The outside is spotless as well. Parking for recreational vehicles along with water hose. Nice pool with deck. Shower has hot water and plenty of it. Breakfast was good. It was the first time I ate the 'eggs' in a hotel because they tasted like real eggs. We will be returning to stay here frequently. It is our place to go when traveling to Apalachicola!

"Great place"
653ivys, 14 Juillet 2017

Have been staying there for several years. Always enjoy staying there on the coast in historic Apalachicola. The staff is very accommodating and very friendly. Very good beds and a real nice shady deck and pool area. Good hot breakfast at 6 o'clock in the morning.

"Great Experience"
robbieb265, 14 Juillet 2017

The location of hotel was great. The hotel staff were so helpful. The breakfast each morning was very good. The room was clean and the cleaning staff got us extra towels as soon as we asked. No waiting. This hotel gets a great rating.

"LOVED APALACH INN"
melissarO5108JU, 10 Juillet 2017

Very clean hotel!! Breakfast was amazing. We had bacon, sausage, eggs, bisquit and gravy, waffles and many other items. Staff is super friendly as well!! We will be returning to this hotel on our next visit to Apalachicola.

"Fantastic Stay"
William T, 09 Juillet 2017

Fantastic stay and great for a quick getaway. Super nice staff, clean and convenient! We also enjoyed the pool and complimentary breakfast while we were visiting and we're satisfied with both. Turner Family party of 5

"Trip to Meet Up With Family"
D4448YOcarols, 09 Juillet 2017

I do not usually stay in a Best Western, especially one with only exterior entrances (just a thing with me) but this hotel was wonderful and I absolutely would recommend to anyone visiting the Apalachiocola or surrounding area. The staff is wonderful, the hotel is extremely clean and it just was a pleasure staying there. Thank You.

"Clean Quiet and Friendly"
Rob C, 08 Juillet 2017

The hotel was clean, quiet, and friendly. Easy check-in and out. No problems. It was on the edge of town and the town is small and nice. It's close to St. George Island which has great beaches. The cost was also reasonable, internet speed was excellent, and the breakfast was enjoyable.

"Surprisingly Impressed"
Sara R, 02 Juillet 2017

We have visited Apalachicola several times, but mostly for day trips. We were familiar with the location and look of the motel when we booked it. I excepted a clean and comfortable stay, but nothing over the top. I was very pleased to find a very attentive staff who obviously care for the property and the guests. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff sought us out to make sure we were satisfied. The other public areas of the motel (pool area, breakfast area, and lobby) were always clean and well maintained. Additionally, we were wrapping up a vacation where we had camped and were hauling a camper with us. The hotel had extra long parking spaces that were perfect for our needs. We will certainly visit again!

"Nice stay with informative check-in."
Unity-Eagle-68, 25 Juin 2017

We had a very friendly check-in which included some tips on where to eat that evening. The property was clean, but somewhat dated. Entry to each room was from outside doors with parking directly in front of your room which always leads to some noise, however, it wasn't a problem. Typical Best Western breakfast. We would stay here again.

"Staff was nice but room had mold!"
shebap2017, 24 Juin 2017

The hotel staff was extremely nice. However the room we were in had mold on the ceiling and wall. It appeared there was an attempt to conceal it with paint but of course it went through the paint. We were moved to another room but we found that others in our party had the same issue. They moved us but others canceled and went somewhere else.If it weren't for that I would have given them a positive rating.

"June 19, 2017"
158lyndaf, 19 Juin 2017

Just finished up week long trip with family and there is NOT a poor enough review that I could write here! Bed bugs and broken air conditioning unit that turned on and off all night and still did not cool the room in the Florida heat! and the noise was intolerable and we were NOT able to get any sleep in this overprice fleabag of a hotel! Buyer beware unless you enjoying sleeping with Bed Bugs? If so this is a MAGNIFICENT place for you.

"Bad Luck or Bad Karma?"
stevenkI9299VL, 19 Juin 2017

My wife & I stayed two nites in 2017 (6.14 - 6.16). While our visit proved an unpleasant one we nonetheless could honestly recommend the Apalach Inn to other travelers who might not fair as poorly as did we, for the facility was, overall, in fine state, housekeeping friendly & attentive and there just aren't many motel choices in Apalachicola. Upon 10pm C/I we had to maneuver past our two, male neighbors in abutting room, friendly they were, living large on the balcony walkway and, in part, precipitated our request for a room change the next day which was kindly granted. At C/O, the "General Manager" stated we should've notified nite desk clerk who would've remedied. I'm guessing they were aware of their habits as they were extended stay (work crew) and then such suggestion is unrealistic for we certainly would've drawn their ire for having called the desk. As well, the one clerk on duty was a younger woman. Unless military trained, a mature man should always be on PM duty in hospitality environment. We also smelled vermin (skunk) in the bathroom at C/I. It came & went, leading us to think it was not recent and then no cause to change rooms that nite as we'd arrived late, though, the day clerk did say we'd gotten the last room on arrival. When informing that AM clerk, she denied the odor in claim someone had been smoking though didn't investigate fully. My wife & I, both born before Johnson Administration, know the difference between residue of cigarettes and smell of skunk. Our new room was made available ASAP and at 4am this guest awake to sound of TV. Those suite doors don't muffle much. Nobody's fault. I was annoyed but guests have a right to watch TV anytime they want so I never considered call to desk or knock on source room door. But packing to C/O discovered that the adjoining room had been unoccupied. The GM apologized and stated I shoud've phoned the desk but as I believed the room occupied I of course felt I had no right to complain as the volume was not excessive. She said all rooms are regularly checked but wouldn't give an explanation otherwise. I requested a partial comp, she offered reward points even as we aren't members and would have to make another BW purchase to realize a return. Some unfortunate, unusual events experienced at the Apalach BW that we believe the innkeeper could've prevented but at least made less painful at check-out with something more than 'sorry' + points offer.

"Good, Southern hospitality"
1951traveler2014, 18 Juin 2017

My husband & I spend 1 night at this hotel. It was very well kept and the room was very clean. Good bed, We had a problem with the TV remote and someone from the front desk came up and fixed the problem. They were very sorry for the inconvenience. Good breakfast, just your basic cereal, yogurt, waffles and biscuits & gravy. I would highly recommend this-a great value.

"Lovely Hotel and Friendly Staff"
388candacem, 17 Juin 2017

Lovely little hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Made me feel right at home and that they were glad I was there. Complimentary breakfast was above and beyond expectation as well as the all day fresh coffee in the lobby. Clean and comfy room, comfortable king sized bed. Clean and well kept grounds all around the hotel. I visit this little coastal FL city often and this will now be my home away from home!

"Relaxing Stay"
C679LHkennethr, 16 Juin 2017

Great place. Friendly Staff, Clean Motel! Clean Room. Pool was nice. Internet worked well. Rooms are quiet. Ample Parking. Staff was very helpful giving directions to local attractions and restaurants.

"Pleasant, quiet and clean"
Celticgardener, 14 Juin 2017

A little out of the center of town, but easy to drive in and park so not a problem. Two story hotel, nice little pool, the usual amenities. Have obviously tried to make things look nice with lots of potted palm trees and landscaping. Everything fresh and clean. Staff very friendly, cheerfully allowed us to check in early since we arrived sooner than expected. Wifi worked well. Not inexpensive, but reasonable value.

"don't pay cash"
John C, 12 Juin 2017

Don't pay cash. They'll likely charge your card anyway. I was told by the check in staff that they would not, but sure enough they did. Now I've paid double my bill and I'm having to work with my bank to get the money back. I complained and was told a manager would call me back but they won't. I was also told when I complained that they receive a lot of complaints about this issue. Please someone at corporate read this and give my damn money back.....thieves.....

"Unexpected Wonderful Stay"
Jennifer A, 11 Juin 2017

Our first stay on the forgotten coast. Stayed for 3 nights!!!! The last BW that we stayed at was not pleasant. I will say the staff, front desk with lunch and dinner suggestions, Miss Benita in housekeeping, and the lady that took care of breakfast. Everything was clean neat and excellent. Our only complaint is the day we left all the fisherman got the ice!!!!!

"Clean and Convenient"
SusanRJ, 10 Juin 2017

This hotel was just right for a few nights stay in Apalachicola. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was too. King Bed was very comfortable. Convenient location within a few blocks of downtown area. Would stay here again. Good value for the price. When I checked booking online they only had a room for Friday night. I called hotel directly and was able to book for both Friday and Saturday night. Nothing fancy, but very adequate. No frills but we didn't spend much time in the hotel as we were out and about exploring the area, enjoying the local history, seafood and St George Island. Convenient to have coffee and breakfast on site. Also, very quiet - no traffic noise!

"The hotel is quite nice but problems with guests"
Carlos C, 08 Juin 2017

This is like an old style motel but has been updated. Quite large and comfortable room. Nice breakfast room and the server did a hell of a job. The breakfast was good given the price range of this hotel. Some negative points: - The receptionist checking us in was not welcoming at all, did not acknowledge our BW diamond status, did not offer the welcome points or package. - During our stay there was a large group of construction workers that looked like tramps and behaved accordingly. They dried their wet and filthy clothes on the handrail in front of their doors. We woke up from loud yelling and shouting that lasted for half an hour until they were gone.

"Best place to stay!!"
Pakarate756, 07 Juin 2017

The rooms are clean, the air is cold. We always oversleep because the beds are so comfy. Quiet hotel!! We will continue to stay here every time we are in the area. There is so much to do in the area. We just love it.

"Great hotel"
John A, 04 Juin 2017

Fantastic location well within distance of everything, yet in a nice quiet area without any hassles, plenty of parking and the hotel staff was very informative and helpful and knowledgeable of all area eateries

"Home away from away"
23christelt, 01 Juin 2017

Home away from home. We loved our stay. The hotel was a very short drive to St George Island. The breakfast was awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We felt safe and at home during our stay. We have already booked another stay for July.

"family vacation"
O2176YMmarkc, 31 Mai 2017

The hotel was clean and modern. The staff, from the desk to the kitchen lady to the Custodial staff were all very polite and treated us as if we were the only guests there. They went out of their way to accommodate every little thing I needed. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was a good quality grind "screaming hot!" Ice Machines worked very well and the pool was clean and well kept. Internet signal was good but it did drop signal a few times causing me to have to log on to my office again to finish my work.

"Great family run Motel"
armyveteran, 22 Mai 2017

We stopped here on our way home from Callaway Gardens in Georgia. This is a very nice, clean family run inn. Close to downtown, and the rooms have microwaves, mini fridges, and are quite spacious. The staff are super friendly, and steered us to a great seafood restaurant. " Up The Creek Raw Bar". The Inn is a perfect place to stay when visiting Apalachicola.

"Great value for the price"
JonathanDowe, 21 Mai 2017

It's certainly a great value for the price. Rooms were clean as was the pool and common areas. It has standard BW decor and includes a hot breakfast. When you're traveling through or looking for a quick, cheap beach weekend getaway (and not looking for anything fancy), you can't go wrong with this one. Families should feel very safe.

"Outstanding staff and facility"
197chuckl, 16 Mai 2017

The staff of the Apalach Inn was professional, helpful, sincere, and caring! They made an extra effort to help me secure a room on a very busy, booked up weekend. I was needing overnight accommodations while on a business trip. After searching all over town, there literally was "no room at the inn" anywhere. The room I ended up with was one that was already secured by a group's block of rooms. Because the staff really cared about my situation, they called the other group's contact and found out that one of their rooms was not going to be needed. They released it and I got a room. This process took time and effort. I want the staff to know that I recognize that and truly appreciated it!!! They also maintain a very nice, clean facility! The hot breakfast was nice. I would suggest offering both bacon and sausage with the scrambled eggs. Great coffee and the fresh fruit was a nice touch. The breakfast area was very well maintained and had a very nice presentation!

"Nice Hotel"
Eliot60805, 15 Mai 2017

BW was as expected, which was generally clean and comfortable in a descent sized room. It was a little pricey considering the distance to downtown. Breakfast was generic. Overall though, a good experience.

"A lovely town with a first class hotel"
Happybeckie, 14 Mai 2017

We used this hotel as a stopover on our journey to New Orleans. Christina or Christine (apologies forgotten now) that checked us in was really helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a large bathroom. We went and sat around the pool for a few hours which was lovely. We ate just down the road at the Chinese restruant and got some snacks from the gas station. We were up early and raced into town to see the sunrise which was a fantastic experience. Dolphins were frolicking in the water as well. Breakfast was good for what we wanted. The waffle maker was good. All in all a great place to stopover.

"Best Western Apalach Inn"
387indy, 14 Mai 2017

Best Western Apalach has the standard chain decor. The staff is good the hotel is modern, the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is included in the price. Apalachicola is not big, but the Best Western has you close to everything.

"A great hotel, staffed with even better people."
Thomas T, 13 Mai 2017

Enjoyed the stay here. Located just out of town, allowing me a pleasant walk back into town for dinner. An easy walk to stretch out. The staff recommended what turned out to be an awesome restaurant. I highly recommend a stop here for the night.

"Nice Hotel"
Mark N, 06 Mai 2017

We were on our annual trek to Apalachicola for a kayak race. Our favorite B&B was full so we ended up booking a room in the Best Western based upon other reviews. We were not disappointed. This is not a high end hotel but the room was clean, staff was helpful and they had a decent breakfast. This is definitely a good place to stay.

"Have spent time here several times while traveling."
Tecumseh_13, 05 Mai 2017

This hotel is clean, quiet and beds are comfortab le. The staff have been very helpful especially when we couldn't get the TV to work. They have a nice breakfast lay out but I think it used to be better. However, they offer a lot. Would definitely stay here again.

"Convenient and Renovated"
Robert S, 05 Mai 2017

We've stayed here on several occasions over the years. Recently, there was a pleasant surprise: we noticed that the rooms had been renovated. Definitely a plus. It's a small facility, but the pool is always refreshing. The breakfast selection is mediocre, but there are plenty of fine options a mile or so away in the business district. ( Not easily walkable ... but there's a decent Chinese restaurant nearby for lunch or dinner. )

"Wedding trip"
monter282, 01 Mai 2017

Location was convenient to attend the wedding on St. Gearge Island. There were not many motels in the area to choose from. Food places were abundant. Only problem was getting there. GPS helped to carry us immediately there, but travel between the I-10 and there was confusing.

"I was in Apalachicola for eight days attending a boat building school ."
thomas k, 01 Mai 2017

I found this property to be comfortable and friendly. My reservation was totally mishandled by HOTELS.COM but this aggravation was quickly resolved by the front desk. I would advise all travels to stay away from HOTELS.COM

"Only hotel in the area"
carlottaf429, 22 Avril 2017

This is a bed and breakfast area so the Best Western was the only hotel option available. If you like Inns ir Bed and Breakfast places I suggest the Gibson Inn. However, if you are accustomed to hotel stays then you only have the one option.

"Best Western- good work!"
AnacoTraveler, 20 Avril 2017

The Apalach Inn is just off Hwy 98 on the edge of town. There is some highway noise but not excessive. We had a friendly, efficient checkin and received our requested first floor ( typical 2 floor motel with stairs). The have a medium sized pool at the back of the property. The room and bath were medium sized with full suite of standard furniture, pleasant decor and tropical art. The room had a medium flatscreen with average channels, large refrigerator and microwave. Local calls, internet and breakfast were complementary. The breakfast was a good enhanced continental style with eggs, meat, bisquets and gravy in addition to the usual fare. The bath had very good towels and good toiletries. Good bed and linens with a typical motel HVAC. it is an excellent value as most BW's are.

"Excellant value"
F3643BBroberte, 19 Avril 2017

Have stayed in this hotel every spring for 10 years. Always well kept, friendly staff and good value for the price. The breakfast is very good. A good location for exploring the Apalachicola area. We will be back again next spring.

"Clean"
maspain2112, 04 Avril 2017

This facility was an older building but very well maintained. The rooms were clean. The staff friendly and very accommodating. Continental breakfast was what you would expect. Very close to Apalachicola.

"It is an Affordable Option in Apalachicola, Florida"
lesliemc, 02 Avril 2017

This place works because this is an affordable Best Western (predictable, simple) hotel located in Apalachicola, Florida. It has a nice pool area to sit outside, and a simple breakfast bar in the morning. Wi-fi, free breakfast, clean comfortable room with microwave and refrigerator, 15 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to the historic district, and it costs less than $150 a night! Good choice.

"Very clean well appointed rooms."
Anne W, 27 Mars 2017

We stayed here for 3 nights when we were there for my son's wedding. The room was very clean and had nice furniture. It was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is included and is very good. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed.

"Great Experience"
420lelaw, 27 Mars 2017

I have stayed at this hotel twice now. The rooms and hotels are very clean. My only complaint would be that my room had a little musty smell that went away the longer I stayed. The breakfast was good and filling. My only complaint would be that the room where breakfast is held is a little small. It is somewhat hard to love around to get your food.

"Quick One Night Trip to Apalachicola"
VTScarratt, 17 Mars 2017

The Best Western Apalach Inn was a very nice place for a one-night stay in Apalachicola. The room was very clean and quiet, and the bed was especially comfortable. Morning breakfast was offered and was quite nice, with usual fare of hot and cold foods, and a few extra touches not usually offered, such as pecans and cherries for the waffles. Nice touch. This motel is located slightly out of the busy downtown, but within a few minutes drive. Motel employees were very nice and helpful. Our clerk had just baked chocolate chip cookies. Warm and delicious.

"Very nice people"
BAILEY3106, 28 Novembre 2016

We just stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was clean and very near the downtown area. The breakfast included was a plus with Mary being so welcoming. Her attention to food that was presented perfect.

"Great Hotel In Apalachicola"
863marki, 26 Novembre 2016

Great Value! We stay here every year during Thanksgiving and it's by far the best value in Apalachicola. This Hotel is clean, close to town and reasonably priced. Breakfast is great too. I highly recommend it.

"Clean...comfy...and reasonably priced"
Fred W, 22 Novembre 2016

We had a very nice stay here. Our room was very large with a nice sitting area. Restaurants are located nearby. Breakfast was very nice with hot and cold choices. Excellent service and a friendly staff.

"Best Bang for the Buck...Modernized rooms...Clean"
dayvcrocket, 19 Novembre 2016

This is my second stay here...My go to Hotel in Apalachicola. The Staff is so friendly here. I like the Free Hot Breakfast. I left a flash drive in the TV...watching Videos. The Housekeeper found it and turned it in to the front desk. The owner called me to let me know...I was half way to Pensacola Beach by then. They were so kind as to mail it to my house. So Nice...Thank You-Thank You-Thank You. Love their Heated Pool.

"Diving for Venomous Lionfish"
TRex245, 16 Novembre 2016

Scuba Divers beware ... this Best Western is very nice. They even have area for trailer parking, a clean neat pool and an almost "Oriental Rock Garden" by a doggy relief area. Bill Parsons and I asked for a ground floor pull up so we could carry 12 scuba tanks into our room without expiring (we are not young men) and they took care of us. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, room was clean and we will return. You can't go wrong on this location in Apalachicola!

"Great stay once we found it!"
C N, 14 Novembre 2016

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Apalachicola. The room was clean and well appointed. The GPS had a hard time finding the address so we kept going until we found it, but once there, enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was well appointed and clean. We enjoyed our stay. One quirky note: instead of the ubiquitous Gideon's Bible in the drawer of a dresser, there was an Indian Holy Mans book instead. Guess the Hindi influence is being passed around in their own way.

"Decent Inn Just outside of town"
rbrown406, 09 Novembre 2016

We found the room to be spacious and very well equipped with everything we needed. The check in / check out did not go as smoothly as it should but we survived. The breakfast was typical free breakfast but was okay. We liked the location just out of town but only a few minutes to get to restaurants and other things in town.

"First Time In Florida"
NewProvidencePink123, 07 Novembre 2016

We traveled by car to Florida and made many stops along the way. We had a really great stay at this Best Western. Our room was very nice and clean. Everyone was very pleasant. We had a very comfortable stay.

"Great location"
ybrowning, 06 Novembre 2016

We were given a room on the ground floor, which was perfect. Property has 2 floors. Doors exit directly to parking lot for easy loading and unloading. We stayed 3 nights. Staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants. Our room was very spacious and clean. All parts of the property were very clean. Breakfast room was large and clean. Lots of choices for breakfast, including hot items that were fresh and hot. Nice pool and deck area. Would definitely stay here again.

"Good value, nice place"
Doris W, 30 Octobre 2016

This is a great value and a very nice motel. We loved the little deck next to the pool. Nice staff, clean rooms. It is very convenient to the downtown area though a little removed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here if we are back in the area.

"Exceptional Concern"
Danpie, 27 Octobre 2016

A great hotel with an extremely caring staff. The greeting as we entered the Inn immediately made us feel at home. Rooms were clean and in excellent condition. Front desk made a follow up call approximately 30 minutes after checking to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Breakfast hostess ensured that the food was hot and fresh. At checkout we were asked if there was anything that they could have done to improve our stay, very impressive. Received email from Inn manager a week later also asking for feedback, indications of a caring staff. Highly recommend when in the area.

"Great experience"
Tkasey, 18 Octobre 2016

My experience was great. I am looking forward to visiting again soon. The staff was wonderful. Great breakfast also.Super clean !!!! The day stall is five star and always willing to answer any questions and helpful with directions and reccamendations!!!!

"Great stopover in a lovely little town"
Stuart M, 17 Octobre 2016

Another very good best western. Easy parking and check in, good wi-fi, good sleep quality and a good breakfast. Had a lift and the staff very helpful. Not close to public transport and a little way out of the town

"October Stay"
Stanley H, 17 Octobre 2016

Our experience with this Hotel was that it was very clean and its staff very friendly.. There was a small drive to downtown but only a few minutes. We found the breakfast had a nice variety and all food was fresh and well supplied. We would stay here again.

"Evacuee Destination"
ardvrk, 11 Octobre 2016

Mrs. Patel was a life saver! After driving from Central Florida with no rooms available along the way, we were desperate. At 2:30 pm she managed to clear a room she was holding and we had two nights at the Apalach Best Western. She was gracious, helpful and understanding. The entire staff was equally friendly and helpful under what was a very busy and stressful few days for them. Particular props to Sam Henry who also was at the front desk. Always smiling, a great sense of humor and she even baked chocolate chip cookies for guests checking in! Room was clean, bed comfortable and hot breakfast all you could ask for. We want to come back under better circumstances.

"Evacuee Destination"
John H, 09 Octobre 2016

With Hurricane Matthew driving us out of New Smyrna Beach we found two rooms for one night 345 miles away. After driving 6 hours we found a nice little motel just outside of the downtown Apalachicola and we were greeted by Mrs. Patel who was more than gracious on our check in. She had a room available on day two and offered to accommodate 4 of us in that one, which with this emergency was greatly appreciated. As it was a second room did open up and we spent the weekend eating oysters and exploring the area instead of looking for alternative lodging. Mrs. Patel really went out of her way to accommodate us and when we come back for more oysters this is where we will stay. John Hunter, New Smyrna Beach

"Great Stay"
Raymond M, 08 Octobre 2016

Second time visiting BW in Apalachicola FL and can't say enough good things about the hotel and staff. Hotel is clean and staff efficient and caring. Breakfast is excellent, better than most with plenty of variety. Rooms are spotless. Made use of the Fitness Center on our last day there only because we didn't know it was there. Pool area is very nice with lots of tables and lounge chairs available. Beautiful deck area but needs some sprucing up and maybe a few more chairs along with picnic tables. Look forward to our next visit in 2017.

"Best Western Apalch Inn"
Debra D, 04 Octobre 2016

The hotel was clean. The pool was beautiful. Had a hot breakfast. The staff called the room about 1 hour after check-in to make sure everything was satisfactory. Nice touch. Would recommend this hotel. Right off the highway. Easy access. Had a Chinese restaurant right across the street that you could walk to or would deliver food.

"Excellent staff and breakfast but a little worn"
Jill M, 03 Octobre 2016

This is not a hotel for anyone seeking perfection - hotel looks older and worn, but the staff make up for it. The staff is helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast is first rate. The bed very comfy. The hotel is one of the cleanest - just too much Fabulosa used.

"Beautiful place"
653ivys, 30 Septembre 2016

Enjoyable stay in a beautiful place on the Gulf Coast. Comfortable rooms and a really great hot breakfast. Very nice pool area and adjacent deck with lots of shade. Have stayed there several times over the years.

"Clean, Comfortable and Welcoming"
Gary E, 28 Septembre 2016

Friendly employees. Warm, welcoming owners. A real family feel. The rooms have extremely comfortable beds with lots of pillows. Ours had both a writing desk/dresser and a table. The hot breakfast was a real bonus.

"A Wonderful Experience!!"
Gaylagt, 26 Septembre 2016

When I arrived, I was very pleased with the appearance of the hotel. It's beautiful plus well maintained. I go into the lobby and find a nicely decorated room that was not overly decorated or cluttered. The desk agent was very pleasant, professional and helpful. When she told me my room was on the second floor, I mentioned that I should have asked for a first floor room when I made the reservation, but forgot. She changed my room to the first floor. That made a huge impact as I have difficulty with climbing stairs. My room had two queen beds and was nicely updated and renovated. It was also clean and well maintained. The beds were comfy and I actually slept well and I have chronic pain! That was truly a big deal for me! The sink had plenty of counter space and the toilet and shower were in their own room with a fan. The fan is another big deal for me. There was a desk with a good lamp and chair. The lamps had working outlets allowing me to plug in my electronics. The tv was a flat screen and new. I never heard a peep from the rooms on either side of me. I also got to enjoy the pool and the nice deck. I came with a club (antique cars). They gave us a reception-"Happy Hour " and we enjoyed a variety of wines and hors d'oeuvres. Wow! I don't ever remember another hotel doing that for our club! The breakfast was excellent and the "breakfast ladies" kept the food coming and kept the area clean. All the staff were helpful, kind, sweet and pleasant. There is a card in the room to write any maintenance or housekeeping issues. I tested them out by writing two small things that didn't bother me at all. (I also wrote on the card how I loved the room). When the club returned that afternoon,I went to my room and discovered the two items were fixed. Wow! Talk about service!!! I absolutely love this hotel!!. Our club members who planned the tour did a great job, especially booking this hotel for us!! I also found out from them that none of the other hotels in the area wanted to work with them. Our group was fairly large and we booked around eighteen rooms. The hotel employees handled everything with ease. I highly recommend this hotel!

"Comfortable hotel"
KVJ166, 26 Septembre 2016

Stayed here for one night on a road trip of The Panhandle. We received a warm welcome from the receptionist who was very understanding when we locked ourselves out of our room and then subsequently managed to deactivate our keys. There were various family members hanging around in reception when we arrived, not particularly professional in my opinion. We were invited to attend a drinks reception in the afternoon but did not partake, plenty of other guests did though and seemed to enjoy it. Room was spacious and clean, we had one king size bed, I can't get used to the small pillows that are sometimes used in the US! Great facilities in the room and good wifi. We used the laundry and had a laze around the pool whilst we were waiting, it was probably the cleanest one I have encountered on this trip. The town of Apalachicola is about a 5 minute drive away, too far to walk to, we went out to eat in the evening and upon our return there were lots of guests - contractors working away? - loitering outside the rooms smoking and drinking which was slightly intimidating. Continental breakfast was good, plenty to choose from, mind the coffee machine, there is a stand to place your cup on underneath the tap, my cup toppled over and I burnt my hand on hot coffee as I attempted to catch it. All in all a good hotel.

"Very Clean with Large Rooms"
Jane F, 14 Septembre 2016

We were pleasantly surprised when we checked into this hotel. The room is very large with a huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Everything is clean and tidy, and the pool and surrounding area are very inviting. The breakfast was very good and staffed to keep it well stocked and immaculate. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

"Don't judge a book by its cover"
ExpatAgainandAgain, 28 Août 2016

This place surprised me. My wife booked it and upon arrival I wondered what we were in for. Reception was ok, fast and efficient, but you could tell it was an old hotel, maybe beyond its prime. Well, the rooms have been redone and they are large and spacious with comfortable beds. Four pillows to a bed and lots of room to stretch out and move about. Bath was a little small but clean and with all the soaps, creams, shampoos and the like you're need. Pool was god too. There was shade and lots of chairs and tables. Breakfast was ok. Nothing very special but a good selection of hot and cold. Paper plates were a bit of a turn off but we aren't in Europe anymore so the environment is less of an issue in this culture of convenience. Overall a pleasant surprise. Too bad it isn't closer to down town, but it's still good value for this part of the world.

"Great Stay"
Lola C, 27 Août 2016

We were down for a wedding and stayed at this hotel for one night. I would stay there again. The hotel was clean, quite, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The fridge worked great and so did all the other appliances. Check in and out were quick and easy.

"BW Appalachicola"
Theodore F, 27 Août 2016

Great experience as with all the Best Western hotels I ve stayed in. they were waiting for us on our very late check in. The front desk had us in our room quickly. The hotel was quiet. The bed was comfortable.

"Very good experience!"
grnnyflnf, 26 Août 2016

We really enjoyed staying at the Best Western during our short stay in Apalachicola. Our room was spacious and clean. It was quiet (after reading reviews, I was expecting a loud AC unit but it was not). We stayed while the Olympics were on and the TV was great - lots of channels. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We did not have a chance to hop in the pool but it looked inviting. We also did not get a chance to enjoy the breakfast but look forward to enjoying that next trip.

"One of the best motels in Apalachicola, Florida."
DBRX, 24 Août 2016

This is a very well kept up Best Western Motel. About $115 per room. Each room has 2 queen size beds or 2 king size beds. Price is same for up to 4 people. We have stayed here at least 10 times in the last 15 months. Free breakfast; and it is very good. Free WiFi.....Staff is very friendly. Rooms very clean. I highly recommend it.

"Clean and quiet. "
Dueltravelers, 23 Août 2016

"Four of the most pleasant days on Gulf coast"
charlottemK3040BB, 09 Août 2016

We(3 of us) came to the BW Appalachinn for some R&R,also previewing a few properties for sale. The checkin clerk was nice, very quick indeed. Our room was clean, quiet, cool, good air conditioning. The breakfast was better than some at other hotels. plenty of food, nicely layed out, large dining room. The attendant was cordial and efficient keeping food perfect. We will stay here again when we come back for the music and scallop festival, in September.

"Family Guy Visiting Family"
Dennis B, 02 Août 2016

I stay here 3 or 4 times a year to visit family. The beds are compfortable which to me is very important. The place is fairly quite. Rates are not too bad. They do need to work on the breakfast items but I doupt they ever will. Healthy vibe has not reached this area as of yet. Probably never will.

"Weekend in Apalachicola, FL on the "Forgotten Coast"."
Roger W, 01 Août 2016

Wonderful property to spend time at whether for a few days or longer. Very clean, well managed and quiet. Nice pool area gives it that Florida feel. Excellent seafood restaurants nearby which of course includes the famous Apalachicola Bay oysters. St George Island and the Gulf of Mexico is a few short miles away. And the shopping in historic downtown Apalachicola is wonderful.

"Great place!!!!!"
Mirjam W, 31 Juillet 2016

Great place to stay. The rooms are nice and big and they were clean. Breakfast was very good. Best Western is really the best place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel. Beaches in this area are very nice. Specially st George islands.

"Cleanest and friendliest stay !!!!!"
misstkasey, 26 Juillet 2016

First of all I will start by saying that this hotel was 5 star all the way around!!! From check in with Miss. Brianna to eating my breakfast in the morning with a very nice and clean breakfast area due to Miss.Mary. I also want to mention the great personality of Miss.Benita. Superb at her job!!! As well as Miss.Brianna and Miss.Mary. I cant praise the hospitality of these staff ladies. The food was surprisingly very good and loved the selection. Just one hint to whom ever the biscuits were to hard other wise they looked amazing!! Poured that good ole sausage gravy over them and they softened up. Miss Briana always had a smile on her face when I ask for towels or whatever I needed.Very courteous!! I dont who the management are but keep up the great work. Even the cleaning lady Miss Benita was nice while asking for x-tra shampoo. Can you believe that? lol I would highly reccamend and visit this hotel again Hands Down!!!!!

"Serves the purpose when you have the kids with you"
C M, 23 Juillet 2016

I stayed here 1 night with 2 children. I think your perspective here depends on what you are accustomed to. Here is the good news: the staff is very friendly and willing to be helpful. The room appeared clean. However, the side chairs in the room had big spots where there was an attempt to clean something-- the large unsightly stains left from the cleaner looked gross. I understand it's difficult to keep upholstery clean, but these just looked nasty. The biggest turn off was the smell of the room. The air freshener was so heavy we all sneezed through the night - and none of us has allergies. Why did they make it stink so bad? The bed sheets are scratchy, Which was unfortunate at the end of the long day it too for us to get there. Breakfast was fine. The A/C units are so loud, you can hear the ones from other rooms when your own kicks off. The staff was very kind, the food was so-so. Skip the eggs. If we go back again I would consider staying here with the kids, because none of the BnBs are family friendly. But, I did call grandma and tell her not to go here when she comes to town to visit family. She can do better without having children with her.

"Great motel"
John M, 18 Juillet 2016

This was our first stay at a Quality Inn and we were very satisfied. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. We would recommend this motel to anyone for a good, convenient place to stay.

"Great Place to Stay!"
CCandPB, 17 Juillet 2016

My husband and I had to find a hotel at 2 AM due to travel complications, called this hotel, and spent one night. Impeccably clean, the staff is very courteous, even printing out MapQuest directions because smartphone rception was poor in the Florida panhandle...

"Best Western Apalachicola"

Nice,Clean Hotel with warm Pool and nice Breakfast. Only Chain Hotel in Apalachicola.Sadly it wasn't possible to open the windows. It would be great if it would be possible to hang your beachwear on a rack for drying after a beachvisit. But overall nothing special.

"Unable to cancel reservation even with the hotel FULL."

Tried to cancel reservation due to flying privately and weather problems, but unable to cancel with a 6 hour notice...Breann at the hotel said they were full for the night but still would not let let us cancel ....called the Best Western Customer Service, they said the hotel had the final say.....Lesson....Book Direct and ask what the Cancelation Policy is.....Don' stay at BW Apalachicola, FL

"Nice Stay"
Robbie M, 09 Juillet 2016

We were very pleased with our recent 3 night stay here. The room was very clean, plenty of room. The bed was comfortable. The pool was nice and clean. Nicely decorated room and lobby area. The breakfast was good, meat and egg choices each morning. Waffles were above ordinary with fresh fruit toppings available each morning, as well as chocolate chips and pecans. We had one issue with the door lock and the front desk responded immediately. Would certainly choose this hotel again if in the area.

"I would stay there again"
Gillian R, 08 Juillet 2016

Nice place very close to town which is a great place nice shops and places to eat. If you are planning to visit other cities it can be a long drive, Port St Joe is very close and well worth a visit. Mexico beach is another place well worth a visit wonderful beaches.

"Pleasant Surprise"
wade466, 05 Juillet 2016

I was referred to this hotel by a friend who stayed there once. I scheduled a weeks stay hopeful of the outcome for my family to have a vacation that would be our first in three years. Though the stay was not without issue, as most vacations are, we experienced no problems that were caused by the facility or the employees. The staff was excellent. The rooms were clean. The lady who cleaned the rooms, can't remember for sure but I believe her name was Melissa, each day took special measures to please us and our three year old started to look forward to finding out what humorous twists were used to make her dolls appear to have had a special day in the room while we were out. My wife spoke with her several times and she was so sweet. Mary, who handled the breakfast buffet, took time to make sure all things were stocked up and tried to provide assistance to help deal with my son's severe dairy allergy. All other staff members we spoke with were always helpful and smiling while helping us. It was a great stay, very much in part, due to the people working there. Thank you so much.

"Typical motel experience "
churchlittle, 03 Juillet 2016

Rooms open to outside. So you could park right outside room. Beds were pretty comfortable. We stayed on a Friday night and it was very quiet, even though rooms were all booked. It's definitely nothing special but was clean and safe. Only complaint would be our air condition cut in and off all night and was loud.

"Apalachacola Day Trip"
Elaine C, 27 Juin 2016

We were very happy to find this hotel at the last moment. We were unable to book in Apalachacola so decided to check it out. Mr. Patel was most gracious and welcoming. He had a good personality and sense of humor I would agree the breakfast is better than we have had in some chains. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Very pretty courtyard. Thanks again!

"Vacation Stay"
Dawn0422, 27 Juin 2016

Great employees and great place to stay. The check in and out process was very easy and they had great breakfast everyday. The pool was very relaxing and temp was perfect. I would highly recommend Best Western a place to stay.

"Best place around!!"
DirtyBirds180, 23 Juin 2016

We stayed here for 3 nights on our 14 day trip. This was by far the best hotel. The rooms were excellent, pool was great and the breakfast was the best around. You feel you should be paying for it. It is commentary and they had waffles, homemade breakfast burritos, eggs, cereal, breads, fruits, drinks. Really the best around.

"Best bet in Apalachicola"
yvrkids, 22 Juin 2016

This is for us, clearly the best of a bad lot of accommodations in Apalachicola. We have stayed in a variety of other lodging options in Apalachicola, and they are of uniformly poor value. The Best Western Apalach Inn is clean, simple, straightforward, with a good breakfast. The only downside I can think of is the noisy air conditioning units.

"Older Hotel, Small Pool"
Diana C, 15 Juin 2016

There are very limited places to stay in Apalchicola. The hotel was very clean, the free breaksfast was better than average, and the help was very polite. We stayed for two days eating in the local restaurants and visiting St. George Island State Park.

"Best Western"
Neil E, 15 Juin 2016

The Best Western in Apalachicola, Fl. was a great place to stay and very close to town. The staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean. Didn't use the pool so I can't comment on it. The parking spaces are small and could be a little bigger for pickup trucks.

"Hard Work Reflected"
angooredcow, 12 Juin 2016

They work hard. They try hard. And, it shows! Sam, the exuberant, enthusiastic, extroverted, and effervescent receptionist checked us in with no problems. What a great personality for the job. Another super person on the staff was the breakfast lady. Every spot and spill was immediately swiped away. She even swept the floor because it did not meet her high standards. The breakfast food was delicious and changed everyday. One morning, there were burritos with meat and beans in addition to the other breakfast foods. Fruits, breads, sausages, eggs, pastries, waffle batter, coffee, juices, and utensils were continually replenished by this industrious lady. She was continually working. She never sat still. At this Best Western, we could pull up our car to our room. We loved it because we could retrieve forgotten items more easily. It made it convenient to get in and out of the car to the room. We could also keep a closer eye on our new car. The owners of the SLK Mercedes Benz parked next to our car must have appreciated it too. The room was large and clean. Everything was immaculate. We slept well like babies. This Best Western should take pride that every aspect of the hotel reflects the work, tears, and toil invested. The staff, in particular, were outstanding.

"Great place for a couple of days in Apalachicola"
HowieLL, 06 Juin 2016

The hotel's about a mile out of the town, coming in from Pensacola; you just drive past so no problems there. Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel is a good Best Western Standard; comfortable, clean and well appointed rooms and a good breakfast. It had a good small hotel feel and was really peaceful, very quiet at night. All in all a tremendous value location for seeing Apalachicola and St George's.

"Nice place to stay"
USNA73, 02 Juin 2016

While traveling along the Florida panhandle we decided to spend the night in Apalachicola. We chose the local Best Western over some of the more pricey B&B's in the area. It is a small BW that sits back off the road on Hwy 90. The room was very clean and quite, the staff friendly and accommodating and the free breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was that the pillows were not of the best quality and all the same. Normally with a King you get two pillows of one firmness and two of a different level. Here all were extra soft. They reminded me of old feather pillows where all the stuffing moves to the ends, with nothing in the middle. Other than that it was a very good stay. Just ask the desk if they have any firmer pillows before retiring.

"Clean Cool Room from Tripadvisor"
rogersober, 30 Mai 2016

Booked on Tripadvisor and am really pleased with the price and service. The room key took s couple of times to program which was a bit frustrating. Location and a good AC had us Comfy for the holiday except for the toilet and bathroom door which barely opens or closes. The breakfast was good and varied by day. The door scratches and peeled handrail paint are normal usage but could be spiffed up periodically. Restroom design flaw is a big drawback so get a good room price.

"Best Western Apalach Inn"
Michael Y, 28 Mai 2016

I needed a quick one night stay, so I booked this Motel the night before. I was not disappointed. The Motel was just fine. Clean, convenient, friendly staff. Good breakfast. I rode a motorcycle and the staff allowed me to park it under the front awning for protection. Recommended.

"Clean, cool room and a great free breakfast"
Tgswamps, 23 Mai 2016

Stayed here 2 nights and were worried beforehand about the conditions we would be encountering. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room and everything worked well, including (very important in Florida) the air-conditioning. The pool was inviting and clean, but the best surprise was the quality of the breakfast. Lots of options both hot and cold and could not have asked for more. Staff very friendly and helpful too.

"Good Hotel/Value"
CDukeshier, 23 Mai 2016

This hotel was pretty good and a great value. It isn't very far from the town and is easy to get to. The staff was very friendly and the beds were like brand new. I will definitely stay here again. I did a have a problem getting into my room and reported the issue with the card reader. It was more annoying than anything but didn't hinder my trip.

"Clean and reasonable priced."
dayvcrocket, 21 Mai 2016

This place has a nice heated pool that is a joy to swim in. A shaded outdoor deck is adjacent to the pool. Rooms are clean. Breakfast at 6:30-9:30...they had sausage patty's...biscuits...sausage gravy...scrambled eggs...waffle maker...cereal...danish...fresh fruit...the works.

"ok but out of town"
Stephen D, 11 Mai 2016

no taxis available in this area and a twenty minute walk into town but there is a good brewery with a great selection of ales of good quality but it does shut early, 6pm in hte week, 7pm weekends there and an EXCELLENT oyster bar

"leisure"
Marcus H, 10 Mai 2016

Clean nice and friendly staff. Good location for our plans. Eggs would have been better choice for breakfast but food looked fresh. Sinks in room could be enclosed with shower for more privacy but overall experience was great.

"Great Experience In Apalachicola, Florida"
James L, 29 Avril 2016

Great value. Very clean room with an extremely comfortable bed. Just a few minutes drive to downtown and historic district. We love Apalachicola. It is a charming, well preserved bit of late 19th and early 20th century Florida. The locals call it the Forgotten Coast and it is well off the beaten path. Outstanding eateries, an excellent microbrewery, and many interesting shops and stores.

"Apalachicola a unique town"
mikewalters2015, 28 Avril 2016

We reserved the Best Western because it was a good location on our trip from Houston, TX to Tampa Fl. We were very pleased with our discovery of Apalachicola a unique town. We had a great dinner at "Up the Creek". Walked around a town that was rich in history and an old town of Florida. And a recommended visit to St George Island was excellent. One can spend a day or so seeing (exploring) this town and island.

"Pleasantly Surprised"
Daniel I, 26 Avril 2016

The room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. The grounds and pool area was clean and nice to have. Breakfast area was nice and updated. With doors to the exterior you have to deal with hearing nature a little bit but nothing to complain about here. Overall great stay!

"Great place to stay!"
rscumbie, 25 Avril 2016

This motel had good ratings, so booked it for our anniversary weekend. Upon check-in Sam was most helpful and professional. She was knowledgeable of the area and gave us a map of the area, highlighting some favorite places to eat and visit. We had a handicap accessible room. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the towels were thick. My husband said the TV didn't have many channels worth watching. The internet was spotty at times. We did not have the opportunity to use the pool. Breakfast was good. There were hot items every day along with cereal, bagels, muffins, and fruit. All in all, a good stay. I would recommend this hotel.

"Great Value and Location"
Deborah B, 18 Avril 2016

I chose this hotel for my stay due to the price and location. I found the staff friendly and helpful; the room clean; and the bed was very comfortable. It was a great location for the photography trip I was on. The staff told us about a great park for our sunrise and sunset shots, and we found it close to many great restaurants and areas of interest to photograph. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Forgotten coast!

"Better than expected!"
Tonya S, 18 Avril 2016

My husband , two kids and I stayed for the weekend and we all were very pleased. The beds were super soft!!! We enjoyed the breakfast and the fact that they provided a picnic area for my family to have a small bar-b-que cookout. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I know we will be back very soon!

"Surprisingly Nice!"
KATHRYN M, 10 Avril 2016

Very nice staff, helpful with restaurant choices, and very friendly! Rooms were clean and comfortable. TV could use a better system, but it worked okay, no real problems. VERY quiet at night! Good value for the money!

"Passing through on the way to st. Pete's Beach"
hagz70, 04 Avril 2016

Staying one night with family. Easy to find, rooms are large with comfy beds great staff and property is in nice shape. Outside pool and picnic area are nice also. Would definitely stay here again. Also the continental breakfast is really good, Belgian waffles eggs, biscuits and gravy fresh fruit ect. ..

"Nice place to stay"
Kevin B, 30 Mars 2016

When you are on a trip with 5 high schoolers, ANY place that is clean and comfortable is great. The Apalach Inn was really nice. It was quiet, comfortable and the staff was very nice. Breakfast was OK (I'm not a big fan of egg wraps, but that's just me.) I'd recommend this place to anyone.

"One night at Best Western"
Dan A, 30 Mars 2016

We were three couples, two of them coming from France; one of them has its first experience with Best Western. All of us agree on the exceptional quality of the welcome and quality service, especially from the front desk employees.

"Excellent Hotel"
CPExpress, 26 Mars 2016

The hotel isn't so much to look at but it is on a shady lot with lots of trees. Nice, safe hotel with large, nice, modern rooms. Lots of outlets and good internet. Close to St George Island. Apalachicola is a quiet, sleepy town with not much to do.

"Excellent "
breadbuilder, 25 Mars 2016

This is a very nice hotel. We arrived late and were treated with the warmest reception. The receptionist gave us directions to a wonderful local oyster place and restaurant. Our room was exceptional with nice bed and plenty of amenities. In the morning breakfast was great. We enjoyed the stay and would stay again in a heartbeat! Loved apalachacola....

"Nice place but out of town"
drrot, 24 Mars 2016

Had an issue with the GPS and cell phone not working right. Was an hour off and made itreal long to get there. Desk lady was very helpfuf pointing us to good places to eat and have a drink to unwind. wish it was closer to town tho.

"Great place to stay"
andrewz28, 22 Mars 2016

This was on our route and it was the perfect place to stay. The price was good for the location. The staff was very helpful with advising places to go and the best places to dine. Very informative. The facility looks like a comfortable place. Only thing I would improve on is the pool and deck area since this needs some attention. Perhaps powerwash the area and clean it up. Not an issue for us since the weather is still too cool to use the pool.

"Nice choice"
Anne W, 22 Mars 2016

I would happily return to this hotel when I next visit Apalachicola. It was a great value, a good location, friendly staff and very clean, welcoming breakfast area. My bed was not as firm as I prefer, but I slept well anyhow.

"Acceptable, efficient"
Marilyn T, 20 Mars 2016

The rooms are a bit dated, but clean. The bathroom appears to have been updated. Internet works if you ask front desk for help. My cell phone didn't work there. Breakfast adequate, but selection and variety good.

"Clean, spacious and close to the center, lovely saff"
Tessavanweelie, 18 Mars 2016

Best hotel we had in the US in this price range. Clean and spacious rooms, good internet, comfortable beds, fridge and 2 minutes by car from the center. Staff were very friendly and helpful, tasty breakfast and even though it was quite busy, we hardly heard any noise from the neighbors. The only point is that the ac in our room cooled for just a couple of minutes and then switched on/off with a loud bang, so during the nights we put it on "fan". There is a pool and a washing machine and dryer; also a little gym. Will definitely go back when we are in Apalachicola!

"Clean room, friendly front desk folks"
woodframes, 11 Mars 2016

I stayed one night last week and the hotel was fine, nothing special to note. The front desk folks were very friendly and made a really good recommendation for a lunch spot. There are few hotel options in Apalachicola, this is likely as good as it gets.

"Good value, but a little bit hit and miss."
MandM29, 09 Mars 2016

On the plus side, the hotel is well situated for exploring this beautiful coastal region. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, the staff are friendly and the breakfast was above average although not as spectacular as some have suggested. On the down side, the air con is noisy and the sound insulation not great so the noise of air con from adjacent rooms can be intrusive. The hotel also suffers from an old fashioned motel design with open walkways outside the upstairs rooms. Unfortunately not everyone is as 'mindful' as might be expected and the design lends itself to people being woken late and early by other inconsiderate guests. Given the cost of just $112, without ever being exceptional, the Apalach Inn would have warranted an 'excellent' in terms of value for money however the 'sound' issues do need addressing.

"Love to stay here"
Stacie H, 08 Mars 2016

We stay here when we have to come into town on business from time to time. It's always clean, the breakfast is good, people are friendly, bed is comfortable, close to town. I needed to stay later in the room than check-out time, and housekeeper was very accommodating.

"Nice Room, Great People"
TechyD, 04 Mars 2016

I picked this place because the other choices seemed awfully high for a small town. I was also familiar with it from other visits to the area. It always appeared clean and well kept. I wasn't disappointed. Friendly and helpful front desk personnel that asked if I qualified for a discount; I did (AARP). The room was large and recently updated. The bed and furnishings were of better quality. LED TV with good channel selection. Hot breakfast including waffles, sausage, pre-made omelet things, muffins, Danish, cold cereal.......the usual but a bit above average. Excellent place for short term stays.

"Guys road trip to eat oysters"
Richard H, 03 Mars 2016

This Best Western has been updated & well maintained. Staff is both competent & friendly. Location is within walking distance of downtown. We enjoyed our visit & would likely return. The town has several good Oyster restaurant s & nearby beaches below Carabelle have drift wood for our air plants. The Episcopal Church close to the Best Western is a delightful parish with a fine Priest.

"Convenient stay in Apalachicola"
William S, 03 Mars 2016

This is an attractive hotel in a residential area just west of Apalachicola. Since is is along a busy road we were initially concerned about road noise but found that to not be a problem. Clients should know that the motel does not have an elevator. Rooms are spacious and we found our bed comfortable. The front desk was cordial and helpful. The breakfast selection was varied and more than adequate.

"Wonderful."
donnamb6669, 25 Février 2016

Our three night stay was wonderful. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated, the beds were very comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly and they have the best complimentary breakfasts we have ever had at a hotel.

"My Feb stay at Best Western. applachicola, fl"
N279LRdavidr, 22 Février 2016

Excellent motel. I'll be back........ One of the cleanest and nicest motels I have stayed at. I will definately return here. Thanks Everything was in excellent shape; parking lot very clean and large enough and very close to the room. I always specify a first floor room as I am disabled........

"Gateway to Saint George Island Island"
Dart S, 20 Février 2016

We enjoyed our stay at the Apalachicola Best Western I'll tell you initially I thought it was quite a humble abode but after entering the place and talking with the front desk we were surprisingly charmed by its atmosphere it has probably the best continental breakfast we've ever had at Motel that included breakfast . the Apalachicola area and St George Island is an outstanding location for a wonderful, Florida experience we recommended highly if you want to see old real Florida at its best

"Nice Stay"
568audreyk, 20 Février 2016

Great place to stay. Nice location to city. Good price. Breakfast is good, but not a lot of options for people who are gluten free. Staff is really friendly and had no issues checking in. this is a nice area

"Great beds; good breakfast; Free Internet!"
Margaret B, 19 Février 2016

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. WiFi was free and easy to use. Staff was friendly and considerate. Breakfast was very good as it included hot and cold options, and they had milk for us milk drinkers!

"short trip"
Christie G, 15 Février 2016

The hotel was very up to date for being in a small town. Sam at the front desk was the greatest and made check in so easy! We will be back to stay. Hope there are rooms when the seafood festival is in town.

"Pleased"
Curt P, 08 Février 2016

This is my second stay at this hotel in the past year. It is a clean, nice, well managed property. Quite and restful stay. Location is just on the outskirts of the town and not with in comfortable walking distance of downtown historic area but that is only minor concern.

"we liked it a lot - super service"
Isabel S, 07 Février 2016

we got a corner room and it was huge - beds were very comfortable - breakfast was good. rooms were very clean and it was very quiet as well. we forgot our phone and figured that out in the late afternoon - so we phoned up and they found it - we picked it up with no problem at all - super service at the receiption on this day and also a superquick efficent check-in would be great if hotels would adapt to offer at least one hard pillow as well and if there would be the original remote controll in the room for adapting the TV (e.g. brightness, timer ...)

"The beds are hard, but the room is clean, the staff are friendly, and the fridge/microwave was a nice touch."
submart, 05 Février 2016

There isn't very many hotel options in this town of just over 2,000 people. We stayed here to get some shut on our way home from a road trip. Pros: 1. Friendly staff 2. Clean rooms 3. Fridge/microwave in rooms 4. Breakfast included (i.e. hot items too such as biscuits, gravy, and omelets). Cons: 1. Rock hard beds. . . ouch. 2. Had a gym . . . but all three items were not functioning well. 3. Location . . . outside of the downtown but really close to IGA grocery store and a burger king. 4. Apalach doesn't have a lot of food options late at night. Bring dinner food from wherever you are coming from. 5. Not a smoke free hotel. The lobby smelled. But they had some smoke free rooms and we stayed in one.

"a little disappointed"
metooboohoo, 05 Février 2016

I love the Best Western chain of hotels. I dont think I have ever had a problem, unlike some other chains like Choice hotels. I tuess I should try to figure out which has the newer styling in the rooms with the larger bathrooms. I will learn to ask if it has entry through the lobs instead of on the street, which I think are not as safe.

"Great Stay at5 the Best Western Apalach Inn, Apalachicola, Fl"
Anna H, 03 Février 2016

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It met our expectations over and above. It was quiet, clean, and the large bathroom was great. We would definitely make this our place to stay when we are in the area

"Great night"
Motocycling, 31 Janvier 2016

Stayed for 1 night and got good sleep and rest. The lady at the reception was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel was very accommodating for our motorcycles. Breakfast was fine with typical selection of hot and cold options. Would return again.

"Best stay on a 2 week trip for the money!!"
smitty2016, 26 Janvier 2016

This is a wonderful place to stay. Clean and has a super breakfast. Has laundry if you need to do that on a long trip. The town is wonderful, the room was nice, and the rate was the best~ Loved the folks running it too. We took a 2 week trip around Florida and will be back to The Best Western for sure!!! Thank you!!!!!

"Great Price, Clean Room, Very Good Breakfast"
ShirleyMaine, 26 Janvier 2016

My sister and I were looking for a reasonably priced room for one night. The Best Western Apalach Inn was just right, price-wise. The check-in was smooth, from the pleasant greeting at the front desk to the directions to local sights. Our first floor room (requested by us) was neat and clean. The 2 beds were very comfortable and there was no noise from other rooms in this relatively filled hotel. The breakfast was included. Usually that means doughnuts, coffee, juice, and other simple foods. Not so at this hotel! I had an omelet, sausage, biscuit with gravy, hashbrowns, juice, and coffee. Other choices were waffles, muffins, toast, English muffins, cereals, yogurt, and fresh fruit. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner and her husband. A really nice couple who aimed to please in their establishment. Very nice!

"Great staff"
Jeff W, 24 Janvier 2016

No hassles. Everything I could ask for except no freezer in the mini fridge (refreeze ice packs for wife's shoulder). Staff was great. Close to town. Found it online while driving around Florida. Really enjoyed the area.

"Lovely stay"
MezzyMay, 20 Janvier 2016

Although this Best Western is located a short drive from the town centre, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our welcome on arrival was most gracious. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was more than adequate. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay. We enjoyed wandering around the town's showing area and and had lovely meals at the Tap Room, and Up the Creek. A great spot to be based at to explore the local beaches and St George Island.

"Renaud's visit of 1-15 & 16- 2016"
N279LRdavidr, 18 Janvier 2016

This was an extremely nice motel. Everything was way above average. The breakfast was supberb for being free. All the food was very enjoyable. I will defenitely come back here again. Thank you very much.

"Relaxing stay"
Guy P, 10 Janvier 2016

Very comfortable surroundings. Good value for the amenities. While being an older hotel, upkeep and renovations have made it a very nice place. Fast WiFi and variety of TV channels. Didn't get to use the breakfast.

"Probably best in the area"
DublinFamilyTraveler, 06 Janvier 2016

Older property. Kept clean, but in desperate need of updating/refurbishing. The bathroom especially was showing its age, with cracks & stains, etc. The separate cosmetic mirror was an old-fashioned (but probably original), but nice accessory, The Wi-Fi was pretty slow. Even with an upstairs room at the rear of the building road noise was definitely perceptible. However, it was almost drowned out by the loud A/C unit. Which worked well, and did an admirable job at keeping up with the humidity. There was a good breakfast selection, but very limited seating. Good biscuits. Overall, for the price, it was acceptable.

"Bit tired but good for the price"
Starviagera, 04 Janvier 2016

A bit tired but clean. Nice size room. Unfortunately the lights went out early in the morning and they didn't have an emergency generator. Can't pack, can't have breakfast, no internet. Nothing to do but wait until there was enough light on a dark rainy day. They still use bedspreads which are very unhygienic, as they are not changed for every guest. Noise level-Nice and quiet Reception-Friendly Breakfast –normal prefab continental, Waffles but no electricity Light for reading –Good Bed – Comfortable Air Conditioning-Good if a bit noisy. "Nice stay"
Julie S, 04 Janvier 2016

The lobby was very nice and clean. The staff was courteous and prompt with checking us in. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The wi-fi worked every time we used it. The showers had good water flow.

"Nice and quite hotel"
Fred V, 11 Décembre 2015

This hotel is located in the small town of Apalachicola. It's along the main route through town but that didn't really disturb me, not much traffic on this route. We got a room on the second level and there was nothing really to crack down on. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean as far as I could tell. The shower had a nice marble/granite finish which made it look like a higher class shower than usual. The staff was very friendly when we were checking in. In the morning when we were checking out there was another staff member at the front desk. He was talking to an elderly woman who had some cell phone issues, she wanted to know where the closes Verizon store was located. Considering the nearest store is about 25 minutes away in Port St. Joe the guy at front desk offered to help the lady with her phone since he had a similar. Very nice customer service!

"Comfortable Stay"
Clairemary50, 09 Décembre 2015

Arrived late and the receptionist helped us find a wonderful restaurant. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and hot! Highly recommend this Best Western if you are passing through the area.

"Enjoyable Stay"
Pamela L, 06 Décembre 2015

This hotel is excellent. All of the staff were great, polite and very helpful. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable. SAM was extraordinarily in making us feel welcomed. THANK YOU SAM! The breakfast is GREAT! I recommend this hotel. GO PACKERS!

"Our stay at Best Western motel in Applichcola,FL"
N279LRdavidr, 04 Décembre 2015

This was an excellant motel.. We will be back next month around Christmas day. I likey everything about the motel, except the haqndicapped parking space. There was a car parked in the space that did not have a handicap license plate or a handicapped placard in his windshield. I need a handicapped parking place. This motel only had on parking place for handicapped stickers. Thanks

"Great Place to Stay"
Dan S, 01 Décembre 2015

It's like home away from home. Its always a pleasure to stay at this place. Ajay is a wonderful person at the property. Highly Recommended. I will stay here all the time when I am in the area. Great job.

"Best Western Apalach Inn"
Tricie C, 29 Novembre 2015

This is a small town and no choices of Marriott or Hilton brands. When we come up to see family, if we stayed the closest we have been is East-point or St. Joe. The Best Westerns in our area I have not heard anything good, but do not know personally, but I was still uneasy. We had a nice clean room, comfortable bed and the staff was great.

"Surprisingly Good"
Brevard2015, 28 Novembre 2015

The staff were very accommodating (managers, housekeepers and breakfast cook). The rooms (we had 2)were wifi equipped and had great microwaves, fridges etc). The only drawback with the fridge--no controls to turn up or down. The air-conditioner powered off and on frequently but temperature remained somewhat warm.

"More Than Adequate"
Rephar, 26 Novembre 2015

This is an older, but refurbished property. The room had two comfortable queen beds and was very clean. One thing that bothers me about older motels is that when air conditioners are located under the front window, the window drapes often blow up and flap in the air, and the flapping drapes restrict the air flow. This place solved that by putting a baffle of sorts on top of the air conditioner that held the drapes back so that the air flow would not be impeded. Thanks! The staff here were friendly and helpful; the area was quiet; and the breakfast was good. I'd stay here again.

"Not as near beach as we expected or hoped"
ThurlbyReviewer, 15 Novembre 2015

Staff were friendly and breakfast was OK, tho there was little change each day. Breakfast area kept very clean and tidy. Room was a good size but why do motels so oftén have the wash basin outside the bathroom? It seems strange to us. The fridge door opened the wrong way so it was awkward to use. It was impossible to watch TV other than sitting on the bed, would have been nice to be able to sit in chairs to watch. The pool was too cold and not screened enough from the road. The gym only has 3 pieces of equipment. It was about a 15 min drive to the public beach at St George's island and further to Indian Pass. It took about 30 mins to walk into town, which we did as we both wanted a drink. This is a great area to visit and we spent 5 nights at this hotel but we feel it only warrants 3/5.

"Most Enjoyable Experience"
dorothycb, 13 Novembre 2015

Our stay at this Best Western was very pleasant, everyone was very courteous and helpful, rooms were immaculate. Food was so good and a wonderful selection. We would recommend this particular Best Western while visiting in the area, close to restaurants, beaches, and attractions.

"a gem"
Earl P, 01 Novembre 2015

This place is humbly great. Its setting reminds us of Hawaii, particularly Hana area. It's surrounded by subtropical greenery, except for a vacant lot next door, where this hotel was formerly located. I don't know if the owner still owns that property; I hope so.

"Quiet stay"
Jimmie M, 28 Octobre 2015

Excellent hotel. Quiet, short drive to beach. Friendly helpful staff, easy check in and out. Nice breakfast. Hotel great for business in the area. Computer as well as coffee tea in lobby until 10:00 pm. Owners very accommodating to your needs.

"The Best of Apalachicola, Fl"
Bob34141, 26 Octobre 2015

The Price is right, the breakfast was great, the accommodations were fine, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel, for anyone coming to this scenic old town. The motel is located on the main street, but in a quite area, which makes it easily accessible to the shopping and restaraunts.

"Always a pleasure"
Christi K, 25 Octobre 2015

We have stayed several times over several years at this Best Western. It is always a pleasure because the owners and staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and taken care of. It isn't that things don't go wrong but it is because the staff immediately responds to correct or enhance any situation that makes a difference.

"Great Value - Clean Rooms"
louisr256, 20 Octobre 2015

I always stay at this hotel when visiting Apalachicola. The rooms are clean, it's quiet and it's a lot cheaper than staying at the Gibson Inn. It's less than a two minute drive to the heart of Apalachicola.

"Absolutely good choice for stay in Apalachicola"
beranj, 20 Octobre 2015

Rooms were very clean and quiet. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot, so they must do a good business. Breakfast is included, and had a lot of choices. Everything was clean and nice in the breakfast area. Front desk employee was also very pleasant. Good price for the accommodations provided. You are a 5 minute ride to the center of town. We stayed and looked around for the morning, very charming town. A definite "YES" recommendation. JB 10/20-15

"Good Value"
Ragrizz, 20 Octobre 2015

The hotel must have been recently renovated because everything was new and clean. The staff was also very friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and things to do in town. It's only a mile or so from downtown, so the location was good. The only drawback is there are few restaurants in walking distance. Overall, it was a great value and I would stay here again.

"Great staff, very comfortable room."
Gregory M, 16 Octobre 2015

The staff was great and accommodated us well. We wanted a room on the second floor and Brianna also suggested the backside of the hotel for more quiet as well. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small though. Everything was very clean. The breakfast had a pretty good variety of items.

We had been traveling for hours and started calling around for a place to stay several hours prior to arrival. Every hotel was booked. We ended up calling the Best Western direct after being told they were full. We had a wonderful gal who went out of her way to make sure we got our room. I'm terribly sorry I can't remember her name, but she was a woman of color and had very long hair. She was terrific!

"Very Nice and great people"

The original place we were staying was such a dump we backed out of the reservation. We were able to get this room on a Saturday night and it was wonderful. The room was spotless, lady on the desk was great and overall it was a great experience. I would recommend the hotel any time you are in the area.

"Nice stay"

The rooms are a bit dated but everything was extremely clean and in good working order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given a choice or a room in the front or back of the motel. We chose the back and it was very quiet. Close to town.

"Good location"

Nice clean hotel but slightly overpriced particularly given the very quiet season. Not many other hotels around so that's probably why they bump up the prices. Short drive into Apalachicola town with lots of superb bars, restaurants and tourist shops.

"Very good experience"

Great location, just minutes from downtown where there are some of the best Seafood Rsts around. The pool is outdoors. The room was clean, comfortable and had mini fridge and microwave. The breakfast offerings were much better than expected and enjoyed. Our check-in and check-out was flawless and thanks to Christine, who was on duty, we were able to hook up to wi-fi after a few unsuccessful attempts on our part. She also suggested Seafood Rsts. to try. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and it's location is perfect to all attractions in the area and will not hesitate to return.

"Best Western Apalach Inn"

Can't imagine a better or more enjoyable experience. All of the staff were quite pleasant and very helpful. The hotel was centrally located for easy access to restaurants and tourists attractions. The staff gave us suggestions on places to go and things to see.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the excellent breakfast that was offered here. I would recommend this for anyone needing to stay in Apalachicola. My husband & I enjoyed our stay. We visit here yearly & are sure to stay here again.

"Clean quiet comfortable rooms"

Only a couple miles from downtown and room was very clean and staff friendly and welcoming. Older style hotel that allows you to park right outside your door. We like to be able to back up to room as we have dogs in our truck and that allows us to keep an eye on truck and make sure no one bothers dogs and no barking occurs This hotel does not accept pets but our dogs are used to staying in truck and they are comfortable there.
