Best Western Hotel International

This was a very comfortable hotel in the wonderful Annecy which is a really beautiful place. Easy to find just 10 minutes walk from the SNCF railway station (turn right out of the station and carry on past the bus station on your R and walk for a few minutes until you reach the main road and the hotel is on the other side of the road) The hotel is very good with a decent restaurant attached to it with great staff who are very helpful indeed. I was helped by one of the staff there to find some places and he was really attentive. Hotel is good and a solid member of the chain and the town is just amazing with a very beautiful lake and mountains. You just have to visit there!

I stayed for three nights for vacations. I think the hotel is very good, and am happy to come back next time I visit Annecy. Pros and cons below: Pros: (1) I think the service by the hotel staff was superb. Friendly, and all speak good English. I got good recommendations about restaurants from a staff member. They let me borrow the electric plug converter which I forgot. I also asked to print bus ticket and they did it immediately. (2) Clean and well maintained building and the room. I think the room was spacious for the price. No issue with the room. There was a safety box, whioch is nice. (3) Drinks and coffee. I got my night cap at the bar and had the drinks outside a couple of times. I didn't try breakfast, which I remember was 18 Euros, but once I wanted to have a cup of coffee, and the staff member got one cup of cappouccino for about 2.5 Euros. Reasonable I think. (4) 5 minutes walk to the train station / bus terminal. Cons: (1) The hotel is located at the egde of the central part of the city, and a bit off from the center of tourism (old city of Annecy). About 10 min walk for me and I walk fast. For me 10 min was not an issue at all. I like that the hotel is more reasonably priced, and quiet.

The place was clean, the accommodation has a strategic position since it's far less than 10 min by walk and to the city center and to the train station. We found it to be a great deal for our 3 nights-stay.

Arrived at hotel to find it was a bit further out of town than thought, it is close to the train & bus station but the surrounding area is run down. Hotel itself is very nice, clean and presentable. Our room was on the 6th floor, 2 lifts to get you there. Room is trendy, small but clean. Excellent wardrobe space and luggage area. The shower and toilet are separate but small, sit on the toilet, and close the door it's very claustrophobic. Shower pressure is really good. Room is facing the main road, which is noisy from about 4.30am plus all night long, you have people shouting, and whistling it's definitely not from bars as there are none close by. Speaking of bars, the hotel advertises a bar which isn't open on Sundays and Mondays, our days for visiting. This isn't mentioned on booking.com only restaurant closure is mentioned. Complained to receptionist about it and basically it wasn't her problem staff need a day off (all day long when coming in and out of hotel 3 or 4 staff are standing around chatting and laughing, Best Western get these staff trained on bar you are loosing a fortune). Staff don't go out of their way to acknowledge you unless you have spoken first. Definitely won't stay here again and certainly would not recommend

3 star hotel without basic amentities such as lotion or razor when we requested for it over counter. They looked it up at counter, cant find it and that's the most service you would receive without even calling housekeeping to send it to your room. Overall, a basic stay with recent renovated room with basic amenitied. Hotel is walking distance to bus/train station and old town. Bar is never operating during our stay.

The toilet was so cramped it was hard to get up and sit down with the door shut. The WiFi connection system was hopeless - took multiple attempts to connect any device, and we couldn't get our Amazon Fire TV stick to work at all. The room was cold but the thermostat had a "capped" temperature so we couldn't increase it. Directions from the receptionist to the carpark were hopeless and misleading; the carpark itself was so narrow and cramped that it was difficult to manoeuvre, park, or to get into or out of the car once parked. The hotel is not in a nice part of town (industrial buildings covered in graffiti), and there was a lot of traffic noise. Not recommended.

Indeed one of the best western Hotel international in Annecy and perhaps in France. Great service, great personnel, great breakfast, great rooms. Very close to the lake and to the train/bus stations. Also accessible by car.

I had a great holiday at Best Western Hotel International Annecy. I followed the recommendation of the hotel's staffs and had good addresses for restaurant. The hotel is near the center and the highway. I recommend the hotel.

We were quite happy that we selected this hotel for our short stay. The reception was good, room was very clean, service was excellent. The breakfast was better than what we got in many other hotels. The only negative was the difficulty in parking. The garage door and the passage is very narrow and if you have a big vehicle, find somewhere else to park. The hotel is very centrally located.

This hotel is situated about 15 minutes walk from the Old Town and near the train station. We stayed here for 3 nights, check in was very efficient and the young lady explained in very good English how to get the car park which had very narrow ramps and was not very close to the hotel but we were given a discount by the hotel. The room was clean but the bathroom and separate toilet were very small, the wifi was good and there was a kettle and coffee. The TV was good with 2 BBC channels. We were there on Sunday and there was a big market going on in the town and on another day we caught the bus to Geneva, the bus stop was 5 minutes away. We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was closed Sunday and Monday, The breakfast room was very busy on Sunday morning but much less so other days there was a good choice of food but the 'hot' food was always cold.

This hotel is clustered together with other hotel groups, where parking is difficult. We managed to get a precious space about 50 yards away, which although near meant we had to drag our luggage along the street. The hotel itself was good. Nice room, comfortable bed etc….no complaints as we were only there for one night. Good buffet breakfast.

This is a terrible place to stay in Annecy. The neighborhood is full of people yelling at all hours, far from the areas that are actually pretty. Our room was tiny and we were woken up every morning by the sounds of traffic, construction or the heavily inebriated. Internet was pathetically slow. Staff weren't friendly. Shower pressure was anemic. Breakfast tasted bad. Beds aren't comfortable. Absolutely awful.

Best Western has a problem at some places. Located in a wonderful place to visit it does not need to be a perfect hotel refurbished, clean or even calm. The 5 stars go to the reception - young students who give their best and deserve it. The rest is from another time. Small rooms, beds with hospital blankets - not box spring beds. Completely out of time. Bathroom is small bu VERY CLEAN. Sleep: You hear next room‘s facilities, the neighbourhhod is loud. Elevators and common rooms… not clean. The restaurant closed. Uber eats… Since you are not in the center. To be honest: The staff is the only reason to stay and arriving late. The Management does not need to do anything because … it‘s Annecy! I hope they will do it one day!

A great hotel for anyone visiting Annecy. Close enough to walk to old town. Rooms were modern clean and minimal hotel noise. We went during heat wave and air conditioning worked perfectly. . A big thumbs up to the included breakfast. Really one of the best “free” breakfast I've had at any hotel.

We really appreciated the excellent price proposed. We also really appreciated the professional and friendly employees working there. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet experience. We would definitely stay there again if we visit Annecy in the future. Not too far away really from Lake Annecy and the wonderful old town of Annecy to find restaurants, bars and shops.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel . The staff were all so helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant on our first and last nights , it was excellent on both occasions . The breakfast was excellent with all sorts of choices . A lovely hotel to base yourselves in for a stay in Annecy . You can walk into the centre and the old town in minutes . There is an excellent cycle way alongside the lake and boat trips are available too .

The room was below my expectations for the price paid (193€ per night without breakfast). The junior suite was too small for 4 persons, the bathroom is ridiculously small for a 3* hotel. No shower caps, 1 soap for 4 persons! The top of the top was a notice on the wall “not to stay under the shower for a long time even if it is pleasant” Supposed to be a joke? Very silly. There was a coffee machine but no spoons, I had to use a crayon to mix sugar in my cup. This hotel is not to the standards of the BW chain that I got used to get worldwide.

I stayed here for 1 night during my visit to Annecy. It was during the covid times and the hotel maintained good cleanliness. This is close to the bus station Annecy sud(500 metres approx). It is also within walking distance of the old prison, lakes and has many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was available although I didn't take it.

The hotel, 15-20 minutes' easy walk from the old centre of Annecy, is clean, comfortable and efficient. The welcome at the desk was excellent - in fact all staff have been unfailingly friendly and helpful. All rooms (standard and executive) are the same size. The “upgrade” only gives you a Nespresso machine, a phone induction charger and a larger TV, so may not be worth paying for. No rooms have baths - all have good walk-in showers. The room was comfortable and quiet. The bed was excellent, although lighting was too “trendy” to be much use if you wanted to read a book. The bedside lights were positioned at a bizarre low point. Wi-fi was good and free. The breakfast buffet was more than ample with plenty of choices of bread products, scrambled eggs and (French) sausage as hot options. All drinks were from machines, but the coffee was fine. Parking is a nightmare in Annecy. The hotel has a single bay for drop-off of luggage, but otherwise you have to go a nearby car-park, where the hotel has a special deal of 10 euros/24 hours (not bad). I would have liked the executive room to have more space and a seating area, but no such luck.

Best Western International in Annecy is very good hotel with great breakfast and all that you need in the room. The location is nearby rail and bus station, not far from the city center. The hotel's restaurant has good propositions fro lunch and dinner.

Great hotel accomodation was super the rooms were clean and tidy every thing that I would need was to hand. The coffee machine difficult to work. Lots of plugs and USB points to use the TV was massive but only french channels. Breakfast was more than enough for my needs it was hot and lots of choices. Considering we were put up at the last moment for a delayed flight no complaints from me. Staff very helpful

Unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences for me, first i had booked this hotel as i needed a spa badly, i was staying just one night in Annecy and needed to relax and booked it as it offered a spa with information and pictures on the website. As soon as i arrive (16h as the check in is considered late in comparison to any hotel in the world) i ask what time does the spa close the receptionist tell me that it is closed for construction!! I was very disappointed as my whole trip to Annecy was to relax as i travelled solo. I tell her that this info was not mentioned at all during the booking process she doesn't believe me and tell me ill check myself then tells me yes its true its not mentioned that its closed i will ask my supervisor tomorrow!!! Im leaving tomorrow already what will this benefit me?!! Anyways going to my room she tells me that the vreakfast is from 6.30 to 10.30am, i had booked breakfast so next morning i go at 10am and they tell me no today it ended at 10 not 10.30 as its a day off!!!! Again and again i was not provided by this info and the guy from the rest. Directs me to the bar and tell me that i can have coffee from the machine and drink juice and a croissant that was laying there on the bar!!! Excuse me i didnt pay breakfast to have this plus its the fault of the receptionist who didnt do her job properly! I go again to the lobby and explain this to the lady there then they decided to offer me the breakfast of the room service! Which again was a solution but not what i paid for. Not to mention that at night there was no hot water that they had to come to my room around 23h! How inconvenient is that? Then they told me its fixed but layer when i showered it was boiling hot water with no cool water at all. Woke up in the morning with the sound of hammer on the ceiling (i booked a queen size executive room, which was not queen at all so i was in the 7th floor). So finally this is all what happened just in one night at the hotel!

We needed on night in Annecy and there were few other hotels with space so we ended up at this this hotel. As a family of 5 we had to have two rooms. Both rooms were adequate, but unspectacular. The general decor was dated, the bathrooms were very small and you could not get in/out of the toilet if the room door was open at all. The beds however were clean and there was tea/coffee facilities in the room. The ground floor of the hotel looked considerably newer than the rest of the hotel, but we did not try the restaurant or bar. We were on the floor with the Spa and you could smell it, we also had rooms near the lifts and the stairs and this shows the lack of soundproofing. It was relatively conveniently located, within walking distance of the old town, but close enough to road in and out of town to be easy to get to and close to some parking options.

The lobby is small. The room is clean but small. Bathroom is also clean but lack of toiletry. Towel warmer and wireless phone charger are a surprise. We did have a quiet and sound sleep. Walking in the evening seems safe. We did not walk too far from hotel.

Very good hotel in comfort place. Near and cheap parking just 50 meters ( please, pay attention park your car under the trees... too much birds!!!). Good restaurant, with local and international food. The lake is not so far and safe walking in dedicated road between the center of the city. Small bar in the hotel sometimes with local rock/cover band ( very but very good band!) Business short trip, bur ver nice place.

We arrived after a long drive and had booked last minute. The parking and the spa were two of the reasons why we chose this hotel but it turned out that a) you pay 13.50 per hour to use the spa and b) the parking is across a busy road in a dark parking garage which you wouldnt want to return to alone. Also parking is only covered by the hotel until 8am after which time you have to pay. The room was scruffy and smelled funny. There was a hole in the door, the skirting was coming away from a damp wall and the balcony overlooked waste ground and had cigarette ends on it. Staff were curt and rude. Won't be staying again.

a 1 night sop over whilst heading south. The hotel is well located for a 10 minute walk to the old town and the lake. A nearby car park offer preferential rates for visitors. The reception staff were very helpful and even gave us a goody bag to sustain us on our onward journey

Location In the new town, 10 minutes walk from the old town. Easy to find. Had parking outside with just enough time to drop your bags & grab a map to the public car park nearby. The public car park was v good value. We paid €8.50 for 2 nights which is a discounted hotel rate. It's about 3 or 4 minutes walk from the hotel. We had bicycles with us. The hotel offered secure parking for the bicycles in the basement. Service Friendly helpful reception staff that all spoke very good English Room The room was very small. Nonetheless it was v clean, well planned My only complaint was a v poor hairdryer. Nice touches A bottle of water each day with the compliments of the hotel Overall You get what you expect from a Best Western. The hotel had lovely staff, offered good rates for parking & was well located. I would stay here again

room freezing in august and it wouldnt turn off asked man in bar for a large glass of ice and got a clear NO have a bowl of ice or nothing seal on bedroom window not working i wont stay here again and it wasnt cheap

We had one of the refurbished double rooms and it was clearly designed by a skinny young French architect. To say that it is small is an understatement. The toilet is wedged tightly between the tiny shower and the wall. The double bed is narrow, 140cm I guess but navigating around it requires some care. If you're north of 90kg forget it, you'll be banging into the furniture all the time. If you're under 75kg then in all other respects this hotel is great both in price and location and it's opposite the cheapest car park in Annecy.

I stayed in this hotel for only one night, on a road trip with my wife. I do travel a lot for business and vacations, and I decided to write this review because this hotel really surprised me. I booked last minute, few days before, as on a road trip we could not plan much in advance. I booked directly calling the hotel, and i received a very good rate. This was already enough, but when I reached the hotel I was even more surprised. I was welcomed by a crew of people, all of them estermely nice, gentle, but moat important they were very available to solve and answer to any request. To tell you the truth I was not expecting such a level of availability, mainly because in France it often or almost always happen to have to deal with people that tend to be very reluctant to help even when it is their job to do so. Well in this hotel, it was exactly the opposite. I had plenty of small needs and requests, I am not an easy customer, and they all did their best in any circumstances to help, always witha a smile. I would say the level of service I received in this hotel is much more similar to the one of a lux hotel. Breakfast was great, maybe just missing few vegies for vegetarians, but in general very good, and litle positive note for the nespresso machine, very appreciated by Italians like me. Rooms are not too small, but jicely done and efficient. Hotel is well positioned to reach the city center in 10 minutes walking. My compliment to the GM and the hotel especially for his very well trained and nice personelle

It was a nice experience altogether, the hotel was really good on many aspects, including location, design, accessibility, distance from train station and center of the city, service...etc. The only thing I had some difficulty with is the AC, tried to make it on "heating" to make the room a bit warmer but it didn't seem doing so!

Fantastic hotel, close to all amenities including parking. Really comfortable rooms, only thing was the alarm that went off at night, it wasn't for a fire thank goodness, so that disturbed our sleep, other than that it was absolutely great, staff was so friendly and accommodating when I made some last minute changes to the booking- they did this with no hassle! Highly recommend

Hotel situated in the banlieu of Annecy The receptionist was more than absent The people in the reception was more than absent ....at the arrival After a trip in the nice old town we went back to the hotel ......we whre supposed to have a junior suite More than awful place..... My daughter was tired and we decide to stay in the restaurant in the hotel. The food was decent but the service is very poor look like people working there likes to the there as a casual work .............or very temporarily work Sorry but the entire structure is to avoid

Parking arrangements were confusing at best , room was cramped, we were given a free bottle of Champagne between two as part of our deal but we were not allowed to take it from the bar to the restaurant to finish it with our meal, and we were told this very impolitely by a miserable waitress! The Spa facilities were not working and we had to work hard to argue for a small refund for this. We would never stay there again.

We really enjoy the stay, surprising by the quality and service that they offer. Nice breakfast service & good restaurant quality menu options. Spa a really good way to relax and enjoy. The location it's pretty good near the train station and not far for walking from the downtown . In general Annecy it's a beautiful quaint city with nice options for to do. Not far from ski resorts and Switzerland. Highly recommend to stay in this Best western in particular.

The hotel is quite nice, located just outside the historical center (you can reach the main city monuments in 5-10 minutes by walk), perfect to arrive and to leave cause you can avoid the lake traffic. The rooms are ok. The only problems are - soundproofing=>the hotel looks recently renovated, but you can here all the noises come from the other rooms/corridor - air circulation=>I was waked up by terrible cigarette smells coming in from outside/other room Fair price for Annecy

Good location next to main station and 10 walk to the lake. Nearby car park offered by hotel (free from 7 pm to 9 am). The room size a bit small with separate bathroom/toilet. Comfortable bed and fast WiFi. Quick check in/out. Helpful staff ( special thanks to Galiwani) Provide us lots of info and tips.

The location is near the bus station. The hotel has a restaurant attached and the menu looked very good and reasonable. Stayed only one night as we booked a bit late and had to split up our stay in other hotels.

We've been staying in this hotel for 5 days and it was a wonderful stay. Reception : good, most of the staff are really super kind and very polite, however there are always some exceptions. Restaurant : breakfast/diner - I would like to say thank you to Marie(femme avec de lunettes) - I always observe staff at the restaurant(due to my experience and education) and she was the best one there! Super kind, smiling all the time, helpful and doing really good service! Room : VERY clean and nice ! SPA: very nice tubs and good way to relax! And thank you for the champagne ;) So, I strongly recommend this place! And the location is nice, it's like 3 minutes from the gare/bus station, so if you want to visit cities that are next to Annecy like Geneva, Chamonix - it's the perfect choice !

We had a great experience and the staff was kind n friendly enough to provide us 2hours extra than the usual checkout time. Location is at few minutes walk from lake annecy n old town. Good place to stay :)

We stayed here for four nights from 30/09/2018 to 04/10/2018. We booked this hotel as part of a mini-break package. Due to our transport arrangements we arrived in Annecy a few hours before the 4pm check-in time. We decided to ask if we could leave our bags at the hotel until our room was ready but the receptionist said she would check to see if a room was available and checked us in immediately. We were very grateful for this. The room itself was a corner room, with views in two directions. It's not a hotel you'd book if you wanted incredible vistas but you can see mountains beyond the city. The location is a good one - 5 to 10 minutes walk from the bus/train station, 10 to 15 minutes walk into the heart of the Old Town, supermarkets and some restaurants close to the hotel itself. The room was spacious, very clean, the decor simple (a hotel room for business travellers maybe more than holidaymakers). It was exactly what we needed however. There were tea/coffee facilities, complimentary mineral water, a substantial amount of storage space. The en-suite shower and toilet were in individual rooms, which was nice. Both were very clean, the shower was good quality. Complimentary toiletries were of a high standard, very nice aroma too. Customer service was excellent - friendly, courteous, helpful. Every time we walked in through the front door and went to the lift we had a greeting and warm welcome from the people at the desk, which was a nice personal touch. We tried breakfast on our last day, as we didn't have time to go out, but it was a little disappointing. Although a hot buffet is advertised, there is very little choice of hot food. We didn't feel the breakfast was worth 12 euros per person at all. We were surprised that the staff working in the breakfast area were not quite as friendly as the rest of the people working at the hotel. All in all, however, we were very happy with our stay. We felt the quality of the accommodation and the friendly staff made this an enjoyable experience and good value for the room price.

Before going to this hotel we had read a few negative reviews, but it was in the 'short break' that we booked with Easyjet; we, therefore, had low expectations, but it was better than expected. However the decor is tired, rooms and bathroom small and not very well cleaned, staff friendly/helpful, restaurant food good, but the same menu all the time. On going to bed one night, the sheets having been changed,we discovered dark grey stains on the under-sheet of one of the twin beds. We contacted the reception and they found us another sheet, but it was for a double bed, hence didn't fit the single bed - we had to fold it in half! As the receptionist was the only staff member on duty he had to go back to reception, so we had to make the bed ourselves! We spoke to the duty manager, the next morning, related the story, and she was very apologetic and offered us complimentary breakfast - this was a gesture of customer service, which we accepted, but my feeling was that we really should have been refunded the room charge - other hotels, I know, would have done this. From the hotel it is an easy walk to the centre, about 10 minutes. The car parking arrangements the hotel has with the secure car park (about 2 minutes walk away) are very good, and inexpensive; park your car, get a discount ticket from the hotel when you take the car out again, which gives you free overnight parking - the daily rate being euro 8, or part thereof. On the whole it sufficed, but I wouldn't go back there again.

Arrived by car as traveling europe, we arrived early so could not check in. It was easy enough to find. We parked outside the hotel and it was free due to it being Sunday. Not a bad walk into town, you can walk down the road and follow the river, about 15 minutes. Rooms were comfortable and reception were always helpful. Annecy itself is beautiful, i would return to spend more time here as only had one night

I was offered a room upgrade - the room had a living area, a bedroom and two bathrooms. However, the room smelled moldy, the drape support was falling, the toilet smelled like sewage, one of the lights in the toilet was out, one of the mirrors was cracked with a corner missing, and the shower was clogged. There was serious construction and loud noises at the hotel in the morning, leaving an even worse impression when I was packing to get out of the hotel. The location of the hotel is also at the edge of the town, and there is no view from the room. Annecy is known for its beautiful canals and view of the alps, but you'd only see a parking lot from the rooms. The staff was polite and eager to help, but many of them didn't speak English. It's not a major problem, but I usually expect international hotel chains to have English-speaking staff. While the staff was very apologetic about my experience, I don't recommend staying there until the hardware issues are fixed.

It took a quick view of the room to try and exit in disgust and book something else on airbnb. there was no room to open my large luggage, the filth was on the beds( personal body hair on both beds, as well as yellowing stains on pillows), wall, curtain and of course floor. the drape support was falling, the balcony door was opening less than half and hitting the bed on the inside, and the humidity made the entire room smell like mold. in less than 10 min we were back at reception checking out. Nobody bothered to ask why... they even made a face when i told them i'm not willing to pay the state fee of 3 euro... riddiculous, they should be shut down.

Very Very Claustrophobic rooms with poor air conditioning. Very old building with blockage sinks and toilets. the good thing about it is the location where it is few minutes walk from main attractions in the city.

This hotel was ideal for our needs with car parking in the garage. Nice walk to the old town along the river ten minutes. The rooms were clean and tidy maybe a little cramped but ideal for an overnight stop would come back Annecy is beautiful

I booked this hotel for an overnight road-trip stopover en route to Italy from North England. I tried to check in at 2pm, explaining that I'd been driving for 20hrs and was really, really tired and at the second time of asking, I was given a room earlier than the normal 4pm check-in. The room itself was a decent size, modern, very clean with everything that you'd need. The bed was too soft for my liking, but I was so tired, I'd have slept on broken glass! Shower was OK but the shower tray leaks over the floor. Complimentary pastry and bottle of water in the room was a welcome addition. Annoyingly, the restaurant / kitchen was closed so no food available on site, but there are plenty places to eat close by. The small bar is OK with a reasonable selection. Staff are friendly enough and speak English. There's very little on-site parking but there's a multi-storey car park over the road. Reception have printed maps on-hand to get to said car park. €10,20 for overnight parking isn't outrageous, but obviously it's a hidden cost of your stay if you're driving.

Slightly out of town, but an easy walk to the old town and bus terminal (much cheaper than hotels in old town) Staff were helpful, rooms clean, modern, etc Breakfast was good, bar area was pretty good for a hotel If you get a chance go to the restaurant L'Azimuth 45 round the corner, great reviews on TA and you will not be dissapointed, it was excellent.

I booked here with my father, specifically asking booking.com to find me two rooms for two adults. They recommended me a Junior Suite in this hotel. I checked the website and discovered that it had one double bed and a sofabed - I have slept in sofabeds in other hotels before and been perfectly happy. When we arrived, the sofabed turned out to have merely a thin foam pad to sleep on - no sprung mattress, and was so small that both of us had our feet hanging off it when we lay down. It was completely unsuitable for anyone aged over twelve or so. We complained to the receptionist who was absolutely uncaring and unhelpful - you booked the room, screw you. I ended up having to find a room in an entirely different hotel at considerable expense. I would have sued either booking.com or Best Western but it would have been not worth the money, so I will content myself with writing this review and making sure nobody I know ever stays at a Best Western.

Location was within walking distance for us to the centre. The staff were really helpful & friendly. We only had breakfast in the hotel once during our stay (on our last morning) but for the cost we should have had it more, it was €12 per person per day & there was plenty to choose from. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment. We were given a room on the top floor which had recently been renovated. The other room we had booked (we had 2 rooms for our party) was on the 5th floor & was also recently renovated. Both had air con/heater and a patio door with a small balcony. Tv in the room & free WiFi which was good enough to stream Live UK tv. It was a very busy weekend when we visited & there are 2 lifts which were slow & small. Rooms are soundproof for outside noise but not for other guests who like slamming doors!! Bed was comfy & large. Enjoyed our stay & would stay again. At checkout we were given water & biscuits for our onward journey which was a nice touch. Clean rooms & the bathroom shower was good. Parking is a pain. They do have a partnership with a public parking area where reception will give you a discounted ticket & it is only a short walk away but it was difficult to pull up near the hotel to unload the luggage. There is parking outside the hotel that seems to be restricted to a few minutes which presumably is a drop off location but people were parked there all the time for longer than the restriction.

Stayed here on an overnight business trip. Staff friendly and helpful and appeared genuinely welcoming. Room was clean and adequate, but very dated and very much in need of a facelift. No fridge or mini bar which on a hot summer evening, means not even able to keep water cold to drink. Restaurant was good and again staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast also good. No parking at the hotel, but nearby -we were lucky to find a spot on a busy evening but had we not, then I am not sure where the next nearest parking-would be. I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

I stayed here whilst attending Annecy Animation Festival. I booked through the festival site and it was very expensive for what it is (almost 600 Euro for 3 nights!!) so unsure if this was the usual price - it was also a twin room. However it is located near to the centre of town/old town, perhaps a 10-15 minute walk to the Bonlieu where you can then take the free shuttle (if going to the festival). The room was nice and clean with all the usual amenities you would expect. The staff were very friendly and check in/check out was a breeze. The breakfast buffet wasn't the best in terms of selection and quality so only had it the once and not sure its worth the 12 Euro. If you are looking to stay in Annecy for the festival I would say its good option in terms of location, comfortable basics and hassle free so you can get on with the festival. I would try to get a booking as early as possible to hopefully get a cheaper deal as it's not worth paying as much as did, but alas Annecy books up sharpish!

We spent 7 nights at this hotel. The hotel is in a good location. If you travel by car even though there is no free parking you do get a discount in a car park only a few minutes walk away which is very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and special mention to Sam the barman who alway had a smile on his face and was very friendly. The location is good and a lovely ten-15 minute walk along the river brings you to the old town which is lovely and lots of good bars and restaurants. The downside to this hotel is the size of the room. We stayed in a triple room and also found it to be nothing like the photos on the website. We did go and ask to change rooms but they said they were all the same size. The wardrobe was definitely only big enough for 1 person, not three, and a couple of shelves, just wasn't enough room. I understand the Hotel has just been refurbished which was okay but even though our room had a sort of balcony there was no furniture to sit out there with. All this was very disappointing. Breakfast was okay but could be more varied .

We booked a double room on the 1st April. However, when we entered our room, we couldn't help noticing that the room (room 410), despite its name of "double room", looks exactly like the "single room" of your hotel on the booking.com website: the area of the room looks more like 15 m2 than 20 m2; the bed can't be desribed as "a large double bed" by any standard. So we went downstairs to explain to the staff at front desk that there might be a mistake, that they might unintentionally gave us a single room instead of a double room. To our surprise, the man at the front desk, Mr. Ben, as I clearly recall his name, instead of expressing a single sense of regret, simply told us that "it is normal that people don't get what they saw on the advertisement, I can do nothing about this, but you can go to complaint on a website if you want." I have to say this is the most unprofessional and rude attitude I have ever met from a hotel's staff. I was too shock and confused by his words to even continue the conversation at that moment.

We stayed here for three nights and explored the town and nearby mt. veyrier. Its a good location to walk from sncf train station and to and from the gorgeous centerville along the beautiful river. The neighborhood is less touristique and therefore you can find cheaper restaurants nearby. The turkish grocery story next door has a huge olive bar and great traditional sweets. The hotel was quiet and even though there were works going on it was not disturbing. We stayed in one of the new basic rooms. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small as is normal in this part of the world. Toilet is separate from shower / sink. We paid 11€/per person for an hour in the spa. There are two rooms, one with three single tubs and one with a larger tub and a single (the single tubs are big enough for a couple to share). The hammam was just a tile room...not sure it gets used much. The sauna is large and very nice. Aurelie was very patient and helped us utilise our BW travel cards which was a bit time consuming and she was very kind throughout the process.

Very disappointing. Hotel in state of disrepair with wall paper coming off the walls, dark depressing rooms. Nothing like the photographs. Cancelled 5 night booking after 1 night and transferred to the Novotel which was superb.

Good food in restaurant. Limited menu but fish was exellent. Nice and friendly stuff in reseption. Tiny room but it goes if you have only small pagages and need only bed and shower. Good beds for sleaping-

Although renovations are going on at the hotel, this did not disturb our visit. The rooms were quiet and clean. It was a comfortable stay - staff very friendly and helpful. It was also just a short walk from the centre of the old town and to the train and bus station - so a great location.

The price is OK, good rooms, good breakfast, still in walking distance from main train station, mall, and the lake. good deal. and very close with the walking track near the river to the market. strategic location.

Check In 4.00pm??!!! Totally ridiculous. Hoteliers generally - not just this particular operator - have got to start providing a proper service and treat their customers, who are their clients properly, and start fulfilling their side of the contract; I want value for my money, and that means a proper stay, not just a few hours (most of which are spent asleep) for my hard earned cash! Back to the hotel, which is undergoing refurbishment (long overdue), it is really a 20 year old (or more) business hotel/motel, located on the outer edge of Annecy albeit very convenient for the railway and bus station (c.6 minutes walk away). Uninspiring and it has no atmosphere. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The room, whilst clean was just that, clean and basic. We did not use their facilities which are advertised on the site (nor were we 'encouraged' to by the front of house staff either), as we spent all of our time in the very enjoyable centre of Annecy. That made our brief stay enjoyable, and yes we would return to Annecy, but probably not this particular hotel.

This is not the first time for of trying Best western hotel group in euorop and they're as I had seen from low level group. many of the staff need to be developed in the reception skills, support for the guests. having a smoking break after I had asked to collect my luggage isn't a good habit. no worker, helpers for taking the luggage even is not a good strategy at all. Drilling works starting from the morning and no one has informed that there will be a modifications work from this kind is even enough to expressing to me that I swear that this is the last time I'll have to book with best western ever.

I know well BW hotels and hence was expecting a lot more than what we got.. I booked a triple room with my two teenager boys and was expecting some sort of a suite, we got just a double bed with an extra sleeping on a convertible sofa.. Service almost inexistant, no parking - you have to pay extra for it!-, no breakfast, nothing... Well if I had to go back to Annecy, I would look for a different place for sure!

Although not in the old town, it's a short and easy walk away from it which is a good compromise between convenience and price. I was also able to find free parking at a nearby lot. Comfortable bed, adequate room size for my trip (2 nights in September), although I can see it being a bit too tight if you're there to ski. Quiet, I was able to sleep with an open window with no problem. Staff is friendly and helpful, and I did not have a problem with my poor French - they speak English.

This is my first time at this location and Im sad to say that this hotel is not for me. The bed is horribly uncomfortable, the room gets extremely hot, (I dont believe the AC works.) The internet quality and cell phone reception are extremly poor. My wifi as well as my cell calls constant fail. The breakfast is very limited and the restaurant service moves to slow to replenish the food in the morning. I spent 15 minutes just for them to refill the food and they were that full of people. Also they failed to mention that their restaurant is closed on Sundays. The only saving grace for this place is their spa which is affordable and the location is near old town. I probably wont stay at this location again.

Nice enough hotel. This was clean and staff were welcoming. The spa services were a little limited especially for massage timings. Room was tight (3 beds) but we expected this. No complaints. It was good enough.

Overall, this is a very basic hotel - nothing too special. We were three people & were given adjoining rooms each with its own toilet/shower (in separate rooms). The double bed room had no spare space to move around. However, in both rooms was ample storage space. The hotel was a little tired & I noticed that the area around the door knobs in the toilet room were not exactly clean. I wish the people at the front desk were more helpful & could give us tips about making the most of our visit to Anncey. We didn't know, for example, that in order to rent bikes, we'd either need to reserve ahead of time or get to a bike rental place early, consequently, we did not rent bikes. We had a basic breakfast, which considering was in France, was just ok. I'm glad we did not take the buffet as it would have been over priced for the money. It is located in a semi-industrial area a short walk to the old-town. Parking was about a 5 minute walk away in a garage that was super tight on space. I would try to book a nicer place in future.

Situated on a busy roundabout. Lift available to all floors- on exiting the lift the corridors are dark and require some attention but the room was very clean and well presented. Bathroom and toilet were separate, the bathroom was of adequate size but the toilet was quite snug. Plenty of storage space available. Tea and coffee making facilities available and a complementary bottle of water on arrival - further bottles required payment. Breakfast was extra - we did not try the breakfast choosing to go into the old town and purchase something ourselves. An underground car park is available - chargeable- this has limited spaces which are quite small. The hotel does have a bar and restaurant available which we did not try.

I spent one night there. The hotel is good, the breakfast is good as well! The room is correct, there is the air conditioning, the bathroom is a little bit too small and the toilets too. There only 2 plugs and they are on the floor on the other side of the bed, too bad!!

The pictures looked great when I booked and I had every confidence but I was really disappointed when we got here. Our room was really small and tired looking, the bathroom was also very small but the separate toilet was the biggest joke, so small it impossible to use with the door closed! If our room was anything to go by the whole place wants smartening up, including the broken Best Western sign outside the front entrance. Annecy is a lovely old town but we'll be staying in the IBIS next time.

We booked a juniorsuite with balcony and we did get a room slightly bigger than a normal room with 2 chairs made of leatherlook plastic. The balcony was not small but had no furniture at all which you would expect. The room was 247 Euro and not including Breakfast. Room was modern decorated and looked fresh so not bad in that aspect but being called a juniorsuite I do expect more. Internet did work but not very good. We adjusted the A/c to 10 degress and at 21.40 in the evening it was still 23.5 in the room, I put my termometer outside and it did show 22,3 so its actually cooler outside but to sleep with the door open at night and let the light in at 3 in the morning is no option! When we woke up the temp was 22,6!!! So our sleep was not the best. Breakfast at 12 Euro was ok. We parked in their garage which was possible with our rented Fiat 500 but not with any car bigger than that. The walk to Downtown was about 15 min.

Having visited Annecy several times I chose the Best Western Hotel International on my recent trip due to the attractive price. The venue is a tired looking from the outside but it looks like there is an ongoing refurbishment program beginning with the rooms. Location wise it's around 5 minutes from the train station and 10 minutes from the old town. The room we stayed in was large with a great shower and tea/coffee facilities. View wise you'll be looking onto the back of various blocks of flats. There is a spa available 10e for an hour, we features several spa baths as well as sauna and a very fun 'tropical shower'. But for a similar 70-80e price point, there are plenty more central options that would tip Best Western Hotel International given the choice.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the centre of the old town but is only 3 minutes walk from the bus and train stations. Our room was small on the 7th floor. The bathroom was also small and the separate toilet was no more than a box. Breakfast was €12 so we did not have it. It was adequate but poor value and not what I expected for a Best Western. The staff were friendly and helpful and the towels were large and fluffy.

the hotel is quite good even if it could be a lot better. the room had a new and nice bathroom. The room is a mixt of old and new, with a comfortable bed but a little wardrobe. one of the wardrobe at the entrance was broken and without the middle shelf. I went to the fitness room but the cycle was not working and the room was not very warm. the breakfast was really good, rich and well organized. the staff was ok and professional

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the historic centre. The parking garage is under the hotel. The spaces are tight but it was ok for us. Our room had been recently refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. The room was a reasonable size and the flat screen tv had international channels. Shower only bathroom with separate toilet. The rainwater shower was excellent. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Good wifi. The breakfast buffet was an extra 12 euro per person and we did not have it. The hotel was good value. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quiet despite warning that it might be noisy due to the refurbishment work.

Really small rooms, minuscule bathroom, everyone smokes inside the rooms so the whole hotel smells like a Las Vegas casino (without the fun !), uncomfortable bed, tiny parking lot (20 spaces) that can only accomodate smaller cars. No AC despite what they advertise. When asked about it, we were told 'just open the window'. The area the hotel is in is a little skechy in the evening, but nothing too bad. The one thing we enjoyed was the breakfast buffet. Very good, with a pretty nice selection of pastries, breads and local products.

Exactly as in the title of this review. Plus all the personnel has been very kind and attentive. We had the junior suite, 2 adults, 1 5yo and 1 4mo baby. The room was spacious enough, although the toilette was a bit small. But all seemed to be new in the room so ok. We chose not tho have breakfast at the hotel, since we didn't feel like spending an extra 11 Euros per person for a breakfast buffet that I had not seen. Personal choice. Didn't have time to go to the Spa either (price ask is 10E per person per hour...) and they also have a restaurant and a bar. Only remark is the garage, it is narrow and difficult to drive around if you have a car bigger than a fiat 500. Location not super nice, but in 5 minutes you are at the old town. Nice stay. Recommended.

Such a mistake staying here even though after checking in everything in my body told me to turn around and leave! Get in the lift, smells of a rotten corpse, no joke, like you have lifted up a manhole cover totally disgusting. The room also smells, with the smell wofting through the toilet. The staff pretend nothing is wrong just a slight smell and that the manager/maintenance person has gone for the day but will be back, wait for it.... two hours after check out!! Disgusting!!!! Don't ever stay here, even the air con doesn't work, the gym is terrible, and would you eat in a restaurant that smells of raw sewerage well obviously not! Staff here should be ashamed of themselves for checking in guests, best western should be closed down and the local council should be involved as this must be a health hazard. Love to here from the management, noted above they are not available during my stay. Finally I would like to mention hotels.com who never mentioned the smell of excrement that comes free of charge, thanks hotels.com.

The wifi is good. The evening check-in staff too. That's about it for this place, which has cramped rooms, terrible noise insulation, ugly color scheme, and is open during a massive construction project, for which there is a lackluster apology in the elevator. Just. Don't.

The hotel is of a very standard quality and slightly out of date although toilet and bath cabine were very recently modernized and of Good quality. Of the two rooms we reserves one was ok the otter one very substandard. Heating not okay lights not okay bed not okay. 80 euro's is not a lot of money but it certainly is too much for a room in that state. The location of the hotel is perfect , close to the very nice city centre and lake side.

The hotel itself is well placed for walking to and around the city, plenty of good restaurants around as well as bars. I found the room to be very comfortable with all the usual attributes I associate with a three star hotel. The bar was a bit spartan and underused but then there's so much choice elsewhere. I can't praise Mohammed and Aurelie enough for their help on arrival, they went above and beyond to make our stay a success, thank you so much. Overall I would definitely visit again

The hotel is well located away from the main tourist orientated centre of Annecy but close enough to find the charms of the area a short walk away The room was clean, the bed comfortable and basic amenities available in the room, extras such as bath robes were available on request Annecy is a place where I am likely to need to stay again and I would use this hotel again

This was the most disgusting experience we have ever had in a hotel ! On the first day, there were two lively cockroaches in the bathroom welcomed us. The next day another two in the room joined the chasing and hunting game. With this room rate (€225 for 2 nights) and the name Best Western, this was definitely unacceptable. This one star was only given to the breakfast. Food was fresh and local. Plenty of choice. We will never come back !

No toiletries in bathroom on arrival. Coffee / Tea making area not always replenished. Also no guidance as to how best to use equipment in exercise area, when we went nothing seemed to work, ie no electrics. Otherwise very happy with the room and excellent breakfasts although, with longish legs I found it awkward to use the lavatory in any comfort!

Terrible location considering the beautiful town of Anncey!! All staff unorganised and rude! Ordered a cocktail and they had no straws!! They were promoting the cocktails they hadn't got a clue!!! There was a constant noise all night like running water very annoying! Want be going to a Best Western again!

Came to annecy to rest and relax and saw some nice pics of this hotel but...HELP!!! Nothing like the pictures, staring from the receptionist that was a little desorganise about parking, what im saying if you only have 20 places why can't a client reserve a place if threre are numbers in it and paying for it?? Not hard but imposible for then, then when i got to the room it was sooo cold in there, turn of the AC and grab the blanquet in the closet, Surprice!!!! Sheets darty, called room service and a lady came to change it, but guess what? I HAD TO HELP HER DO IT!!! If i knew i wold of ask for a job there, going to the shower so small but its ok i'm little my self and once again, the rubber on the side was so darty that i took a shower with my thongs shoes, then the night arrive and so much noises comming from the room uptairs then i stared reading comments here where the manager say that we should ask the reception if any problem so, i did and the guy sais i see what i can do, as i saw he did nothing cause next day after a HORRIBLE night there i decided to leave the hotel and not stay the second night, oh i left my tootbrush to see if the cleaning person can used it to clean up that shower.

Within walking distance of town, reasonable room, restaurant disgraceful for a group. We stayed there for five nights and were given set meals. Three vegetarians in the group were initially forgotten about, in spite of the hotel being notified in advance, then offered main dishes with no protein. The final straw on the fourth night was being given mushroom risotto made with meat juice. Others in the group said their meat/fish dishes were very poor also. Suggest if you stay at this hotel you plan to eat elsewhere since there are many good cafes and restaurants in Annecy.

We stayed two nights as a stop over driving down to Lake Garda via the Alps. Annecy itself is one of the most beautiful places in Europe I have been and is well worth a visit. The hotel tho was a bit of a let down. It wasn't quite what was expected and details regarding parking could have been clearer I.e. It's limited in terms of quantity and the size of vehicle I.e. No room for 4x4's..... The menu didn't look too exciting and wasn't very child friendly.

We were lucky to have a good weather early September, which can be otherwise in other years. For us, it was not a problem to walk along the river towards the town centre for an afternoon, then back to the hotel to change and go out again for dinner and back. But nearly half an hour one way is a bit much to call it "a good location". If you like to walk (or run), there are nice paths along the lake. Next time I would choose somewhere nearer to the town centre.

We really enjoyed our stay here even if for just one night. The staff was very professional and kind, the room spacious, quiet and very clean. Very good breakfast. The city center can be reached by a nice 10 minute walk.

Stayed here for 3 nights at end august. Hotel recommended a car park which have us a cheaper rate and was nearby. The location was easy to find and just out of annecy centre. Easy to walk into. The reception were friendly and helpful. The room was ok. Spacious and bed was comfy enough however there were some stains on the walls which need attention and the air con did not work at all. As it was 34 degrees outside this was a massive bug bear. Breakfast was not included in the room rate but we chose to have it for €10 a person for 2 of the days the selection was good and staff were attentive. Overall the location was fine if u don't mind a bit of a walk but the room needed a little attention.

Stayed at this hotel as I was required for a wedding in the region; the hotel is very near to the train and bus station (Approx. 5-10 mins). The check in was swift and courteous and the room clean and comfortable. I decided to opt for breakfast at 11 Euros per morning, it's your standard continental breaky with pastries, bread, cereal and the like. I never used the bar or spa area so cannot comment on them. The main town and lake are a maximum of 15 minutes away, and there you will find a wealth of beautiful buildings, scenic vistas and restaurants serving delicious local food (tartiflette and fondue are must haves whilst in this part of the world!) Highly recommend the Best Western for convenience and comfort.

I stayed at this hotel with family for two days in summer. Went there to visit the beautiful city of Annecy. Spent most of the time walking outside, enjoying the city. I appreciated the nice location and good service, polite and professional staff. Rooms are be bit tiny, but didn't matter much for me since I didn't spend much time inside.

We chose the Best Western for our motorbike trip. Very good welcome desk, friendly staff, parking garage affordable and within a few walking minutes your at the famous city center. Breakfast room comfortable and breakfast buffet extensive. We will definitely come back when visiting Annecy again.

We visited Annecy at the end of July 2016. We took the night train from Paris. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the train station. Its about 10 mins and 15 mins walk from the city center and the lake respectively. The room was clean and they served breakfast (about 13 Euro pp). I liked their breakfast. Many different kinds of cheese I hadn't tried before. The staff are helpful and the people at the reception desk speak English. The only drawback is that the wifi was a bit erratic. But I would definitely recommend this to budget travelers.

We stayed at this hotel in July 2016. The hotel is walking distance to the old town as well as close to shops and restaurants. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant which was good. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the beds were comfortable. I asked if I could check out an hour later as I was feeling sick that day and they charged me 10 euros extra...not sure if that was necessary, but I paid it none the less. Overall the hotel is fine, though not sure if I would want to spend more than a night or two here.

We stayed at the best western in July 2016 & it was fantastic. The bed was HUGE and was very comfortable. It was only a 5min walk into the middle of town & you were within walking distance to everything you needed. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Between Annecy train station and the city centre. About 10min walk to city centre and 15min walk to the lake. The room is spacious. The toilet and bath were separated. Both neat but quite small. Staff is friendly and can speak English. They are very helpful too. Breakfast spread is OK.

Touched lucky staying here after not having a booking. This hotel ticked the necessary boxes, the rooms where pretty basic with plenty of space for clothes, a safe and all aspects of the room where clean and there was parking which was charged at a reasonable rate of €10 per night but only park there if you have a small car. The car park is an underground car park which is very cramped and very tight so if you have a large vehicle you may find it very difficult to park your car. Breakfast was a bit pricey at €11 per person but it was buffet style and was perfectly adequate. The only complaint during our stay was that we spent a day in Chamonix and when we returned our room had been left open by the cleaner, it was only through pure luck that all of our belongings hadn't been stolen and when I pointed it out to reception they seemed unconcerned by this which was disappointing. All in all a very pleasant stay at a very pleasant hotel where most of the staff where friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location near walking green path to sights of interest. Friendly and helpful staff. Bad air conditioning, desk gave me a fan it was so hot, could not feel fan 2 feet in front of me, staff seemed fully aware of air issues. Good but standard breakfast. Crappy internet using web proxy that 2 of my devices had an issue with.

Myself and family stayed there for one nite from half way journey 9 hrs drive so the hotel we weren't impressed with it room were cramped and not very clean and no breakfast available and location was nice we won't return there in the near future .

The Best Western in Annecy was a modern, clean hotel that is located just a few blocks from the old town. An easy walk gets you numerous restaurants and cafes in old town Annecy. Mother staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Parking was available in an underground garage a block away for 15€ per day. When we return to Annecy, we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night on our way to the south. We are only too pleased that we arrived early and that we could spend time trying to negotiate our car into a suitable bay in the car park. Unfortunately we were unable to book a table in the restaurant as they appeared to be catering for a coach party. The old town was a 20 minute walk away where we had mediocre meal.

We stayed for 4 nights during the TdF. Service was poor. It is unfortunate because location is good ( walking distance to old town and lake) but personnel at hotel lacked the ability to assist with the most basic of questions- eg where is the closest supermarket. Also, rooms were not ready upon arrival despite folks communicating arrival time to the hotel and an individual showing up in advance of the group to ensure the rooms were ready. Rooms were not cleaned well and are a bit dark and very basic. This is despite the hotel going thru a bit of a renovation.

The hotel was clean, room was comfortable but a bit small. Terrible, extremely small parking garage and difficult to deal with parking on the street. The location was very poor. Took about 15 minutes to walk to the old city and not great neighborhood. If you are going to Annecy you want to be much closer to the old city. The staff was friendly and helpful which was nice.

Prices outrageous compared to the poor quality in all respects of this hotel. We asked for a quiet room 4 months in advance : message had never been read... The garage is so small that you need a shoe helper to access.

Good hotel close to city rooms are good and clean staff are very nice and helpfully and the food is great. Great selection for breakfast. Wifi can be very slow but over all a nice hotel great location................. .....................

The room was not for 4 adults.The linens for individual beds were small and put out of bed all time.Horrible mattresses. Bathroom not good,small,very poor cleaning products,not prepared for 4 persons. Very,very bud beds.

I stayed here one night and was hoping to have a good night's sleep since I had been working hard the past week at another conference center with a bad bed and small room. For 140 euros, I was underwhelmed and should have picked a different hotel to stay at (although there aren't many good hotels in Annecy looking at TripAdvisor). I would not stay here again as the value is not worth it. Location: It is farther away from the downtown area than the other Best Western in Annecy (which also has one more star I think than this Best Western). It is a 15 minute walk to the downtown area and not much is around here. I did stop by the neighboring Arabic supermarket since I couldn't find an open restaurant here. If you are here as a tourist, I would stay closer to the downtown area where you will find more attractions and restaurants/bakeries. This hotel seemed to have a lot of tour buses stop here for the night. The young man who checked me in was pleasant and spoke English. The lady next to him was stern and not very nice when I asked her some questions. Restaurant: I was unable to eat here because they said the restaurant was full although most of the tables were empty. I guess they had a lot of late reservations. The menu is very limited though anyways. The hallways do smell musty given the old carpet as other reviewers have mentioned. Free Wifi is slow, but at least free. Room: You have to put your room key in the key holder to turn on the lights. The room was a decent size, bathroom small with a separate toilet room. The shower had good water pressure and was clean. The bed was too hard and felt cheap. The linens felt damp when I laid on them. The pillows were the cheap kind and too soft. My view was of the busy road so traffic noise was an issue at night while trying to sleep. I didn't expect a fridge given the hotel rating so there isn't one if you're expecting one, but there is the usual safety lockbox which I did use. One of my biggest issues is that there the AC was extremely loud because a panel was loose. I called down to the front desk to ask if someone could fix this or if I could change rooms. The answer was that the repairman had left and there was nothing he could do except to tell me to turn off the AC (thus making the room muggy all night). Minus points here as the noise was extremely loud and not the white noise that you can sleep through usually with ACs. Breakfast: Your usual middle of the road breakfast but with more choices than a Hampton Inn in the US. There were hardboiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, cereal, fruit, 2 cold cuts, 2 cheeses, and yogurt. It was included in my hotel room price.

The rooms were nice, and inside free parking was available. Everything was clean and comfortable. We left too early to try the breakfast, but did eat dinner in the dining room and it was OK. The price was reasonable considering that Annecy can be expensive.

Perfect hotel for visiting Annecy. Cheap and cheerful, basic and clean. About a 5 minute walk to the town. I'd recommend it and would stay again. Beautiful town. You have to hire bikes and cycle around the lake. It's amazing

Had a wonderful trip riding to annecy at the beginning of the month culminating in a four day stay at the best western annecy. This is a lovely clean hotel very friendly staff and great rooms with pretty good facilities including a great shower which was good after a hard days riding. Made full use of the jacuzzi and sauna although one wasn't working due to maintenance but that was no problem. The monsoon shower was awesome! Breakfast was great too! Just be aware that breakfast is extra at 10 euros a day and also the parking is extra at 40 euros for four days parking for 4 motorcycles which was unexpected at the time but not bad for 4 bikes. Also there is a tax to pay when checking out but that was only 4 euros. Overall a great stay with great amenities and lovely staff going again next year!

The hotel was very good for its location... room was big and clean ... good breakfast... very helpful friendly stuff ... speaking english perfectly so it is good for non french people ... i really enjoyed all my time in this hotel ... near to halal food restuarants and beside it turkish supermarket for halal food for muslims

...it's not the best Best Western I've been. I think they're renovating, but at the moment the balance quality/price is under my expectations: structure is old, room style and furnitures are really old, walls unpainted since a lot of time, elevators buttons working but broken. The very good aspect of the stay is the personnel, they're really gentle and professional and can provide a lot of good suggestions to enjoy the city. I did not tried the restaurant, but it was always full of persons: good sign.

It really smells bad, hallways and elevator. The menu in the restaurant is only one dish, no ironing board and iron needs to be borrowed. Staff impolite when asking for late checkout. Meeting room is OK. Room 507 has a view of the train station and mountains at the very far back. I just walked 3 blocks to the train station so well located. You can take an easy walk to tourist area. Supermarket next to hotel. Internet works well. Bathroom is too small. Bed is big and comfortable.

On arrival we were greeted by a smell of raw sewage, not a great start but there was maintenance going so perhaps there were attending to it. Next, our room - we were given a room that smelled of smoke, clearly not the hotel's fault but it's meant to be non-smoking and I know other hotels who issue fines and make people aware of non-smoking when they check in. Perhaps, culturally it's more accepted that people smoke in room designated as non-smoking. Either way, as non-smokers this was not great. They changed the room immediately which was good and I stress again, not the hotels fault for th bad habits of a previous occupant. The rest of the stay was average for a 3 star, nothing special nor did I expect anything special. Given the lovely town, I would have opted to stay a little more central for slightly more per night. We picked this hotel due to a conference recommendation. Annecy is a small town and this is in a neglected part of it though. The smell of sewage stayed throughout our stay and during day 3 of our stay, it even permeated into the hotel room. I can only describe it as either ammonia or sulphur. The bathroom was recently refurbished which was good, the rooms are still outdated but functional and clean. Woud I stay here again? Definitely no. I just think that the town and the centre has so much more to offer and for an extra EUR20 per night I would opt to stay somewhere else, more central. Best Western, sort out your smelly problem!

The room is so small. On my nightstand is it difficult to find the space for my watch and my phone. The room desperately need to be renovated. The bathroom was renovated recently. The bed is very uncomfortable and our double bed has two single mattresses pushed together. During the night you can hear noises from the pipes and a lamp turned on itself twice (then we unplugged it). The hotel is near the entrance of the highway. It is the only street of Annecy which I do not find charming. There are so many hotels in Annecy which I wonder why someone should stay here. I do not see any reason to.

Nothing superlative about this hotel but nothing bad either. It's close-ish to the old town (5-10 minute walk depending on your level of hustle), the rooms are clean but nothing fancy, the parking is available but tight, the service was prompt and friendly, the price point was decent. Definitely a solid option for exploring Annecy for a day or two, but your hotel will fill more of a utilitarian role. Have fun...Annecy is a beautiful town.

Stayed here for a few days - the hotel is walking distance away from the TGV station and from the old town. The rooms were nice, but a little outdated. All rooms had wi-fi, which was fast and reliable. The food was also good.

Conveniently located just a few blocks from the main train station and shops, it is also just off of a motorway exit allowing for convenient and easy access. Abundant parking available, surprisingly friendly staff - it's now on our budget hotel list for our annual visit to Annecy for Christmas shopping!

Hotel mediocre, i was staying there for 4 days (4-8 december). The heating system was not working:(:( and the only solution proposed was to install an electric heater in the room.... as they said there was no other available rooms...(no comment). the problem of the heating was confirmed also in other rooms... my advice is to run away from this hotel until the maintenance works are closed. bye

Good location - the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the old town. Cozy room with a very comfortable bed! Good bathroom that separate from the toilet and coffee / tea kit. Good free Wi-fi connection. Paid parking is near by, we arrived on a weekend so there was a free parking by the hotel. At the departure we got a bottle of water and some biscuits, which made a pleasant feeling. Good value for the money.

We all learnt very quickly that coach parties are treated 2nd class our so call dining room. Was a Conference room no windows and away from the main restaurant...one evening we all got given cold tomato soup waiter said it was gapazio but it wasn't. There wasn't really a choice of continental breakfast one croissant was put on your plate no fresh fruit, no toaster, pre pack rubber cheese and ham.2 types of cereal past its sell by date.evening meals were such dire, lady in our group was a vegetarian all she was given all week was cheese omelette wasn't made with proper egg it was like rubber and burnt. She was crying out for some fresh veg or fruit but not helpful at all. Wifi near reception. TVs in room are a no no if your British .....location ok for town, I wouldn't recommend after dark.Also the bar was not always manned. ( they lost good custom) from our group. Overall coach party try another hotel pity amazing place and stunning lake

Room was decent and reasonably priced. A short walk from Annecy station. Breakfast was nice. Not much to add really, shower was fine and we only stayed for the one night. Staff were really friendly and were happy to help with directions and maps etc

We stayed here for five nights. The room had much space, was clean and the staff very friendly. The delicious breakfast tasted very good. There is a possibility to park the car in the garage. The price is fair. Tout était bien.

Comfortable bed and a good location, the room was clean, but the buffet breakfast was average and overpriced. The staff are not really helpful in this hotel so If you do not expect quality and help it could be a good choice for only one night.

Great hotel and good service, but worst service ever with getaroom.com. Never book a hotel from them. i booked a hotel with cancelation option, something getaroom.com couldn't help me with when i need it. great hotel, good service and perfect with parking facilities in the basement.

- in my original Junior Suite, the TV was all in french (so much for international), i dont stay in hotels for the TV but i dont like to 2nd guess the news at the end of day, this BW (US brand) had no CNN (did not think it possible). i complained, the technician said the TV was different in some rooms (so much for the TV station guide), after 2 nights i asked to be moved to JS room and yes this had french/english/german/italian/chinese etc. TV. - the toilet was very small and separate from the bathroom, like at air ports, instead of a hand luggage sizing template, they should have a box in the foyer, to test customer comfort to defecate in less than 1x1 M. there was a great deal of wasted space in the remaining suite, mostly dominated by 2 big steel chairs. -the underground garage is only suitable for compact cars, its pillars have been marked by numerous car impacts, on the 2nd parking occasion, our rental car was seriously damaged by a hit and run driver. the hotel had surveillance which was not working, good for the hotel, bad for paying guests victims of criminal damage. -on the final bill the 'local taxes' are described as 'Total Exempt' with the corresponding value added into the total ?? -some of the staff should be taught the difference between a smile and a grimacing laugh, it really 'winds you up' and gives the impression of dont give a damn

Just a short stroll from the old town and the lake and the only city hotel I could find with a car park. I read an earlier comment that the car park spaces were small but if your car is less than 2 metres high and you can drive there is no problem. We've stayed here a couple of times this year, the spotless rooms are small but have everything you need and this time we even had a view of the mountains - just. The town centre has dozens of restaurants to suite every taste and we haven't used the hotel restaurant but its there for anyone who doesn't want to leave the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is excellent value for money, we'll stay again.

The hotel is located a bit away from the main city but you can walk in 10 minutes to the old city. The rooms are clean, the beds very comfortable, the morning breakfast buffet was very good, well worth the price. The parking at the hotel is limited and very narrow, but they gave us directions to the nearest parking garage and it was fine. 5 minute walk back to the hotel. The price is decent and the staff could not have been friendlier,English was no problem. We enjoyed it and would return. The WiFi was also free!!

This is an awful hotel with no consideration or effort made to accommodate any situation. We stayed 1 night with two children under 6 years old and were given a room with connecting rooms. In most hotels this is a room side by side with an interconnecting door - but not in this case. This hotel gave us rooms opposite each other at the end of a corridor. There is an external door that shuts these rooms off but the two rooms are no way connected as they have heavy fire doors which no 6 year old, let alone a 4 year old can open. When we asked reception to change us so we were in one room together they couldn't accommodate us. Instead they suggested we keep the heavy doors open.... This was a great solution and one we had suggested with doors stops. But the hotel didn't have these so 'ripped' up 4 pieces of cardboard and we were to make do with these!! Honestly I was gobsmacked!! We then gave the hotel 4 hours to sort the situation. Thinking customer service is pretty hot in hotels we were extremely disappointed with he best western staff. Yes, they had brought door stops (2 of them) but they hadn't tried them out. Within a minute the doors had closed on themselves. At this point it was gone 10pm and our boys were very tried and we needed to get them to bed. Luckily we had our own Aerobed (inflatable) and pillows. We rearranged one room to accommodate us all and whola we are now in as a family!! I have to say this is an ABSOLUTE disgrace and poor advertising from their description of an adjoining room. If I had known this was the case I would have never booked it in the first place. However the customer service was unbelievable- rude and loads of pathetic excuses. I will not be returning and will definitely not recommend this chain of hotels!!! By the way I have NEVER had the incline to write a review but this has been such an awful experience that I felt it had to be done and shared!!!

My expierence there was so awful that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The room was so little that I couldn't open a door without blocking the "corridor", the WC wasn't working, the only plug I could see it was in the bathroom and it worked sometimes, the bed was extremely uncomfortable... I also need to say that the pictures shown are false in the sense that the rooms are considerably smaller than there. I hope to help someone not to go there.

We very quickly learned that as a member of a coach party this hotel treats you as a second-class guest. Your meals have to be taken in a windowless room away from everyone else. Breakfast comprises a minimal choice of continental breakfast elements such as two cereals [one past its best for crispness], no fresh fruit, one pre-packed cheese [Emental], two cold meats and rationed to just one croissant each. Our three course evening meals were absolutely dire and irrespective of what each course consisted of it was inevitably served on stone cold plates.

A little disappointed with this property. The location is OK with approx 10 minute walk to the old town (15-20) to the lake itself. Our room was rather small (twin beds) and the bathroom was VERY small. No fridge/mini bar in the room which was disappointing. The staff were friendly enough but the bar was not aways manned. If driving - they have a car park but the spaces are extremely tight! I probably wouldn't stay again but it wasn't all bad. Annecy is an amazing place by the way! The lake is stunning (when the suns out).

Stayed for 7 nights and had excellent sleep! 10/15 mins walk from the old town and lake. Room was a good size, especially for a city hotel - yes the toilet and bathroom are separate but that is not an issue. Room was very clean. Comfy beds and good air conditioning. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Definite bonus was the tea/coffee tray and kettle in the room - the only thing was on a couple of days we had to ask at reception for extra coffee/milk as ours was not restocked. Our room had a small balcony which we were not expecting! Would definitely recommend. Cannot comment on parking as did not have a car. Very convenient for coach/bus/train stations. There was a safe and hairdryer in the room which were useful.

Initially we were accommodated in a standard room, but the second days we changed the room into a "family room". The rom was fine, no noise, good temperature, good WiFi. Only a few suggestions: they could add a mini fridge for the family room (it would be useful), as well as a little microwave oven. We parked over the bridge, 600 m far, and we walked to the center without any problems

Comfortable room enough large for a small stay. Air conditionning is running very well. At the desk all the employees are happy to help you in any cases. Good restaurant but the hotel is closed to the old downtown so in 15 minutes you will have the surprise to walk along the small river of the city and to seat in a small restaurant to eat a typical meal of the region like a "fondue".

Hôtel bien situé à quelques centaines de mètres de la vieille ville. Perfect service and information from the employees. Very good food if you are tired and do not to go in the down tiown at some hundreds meters. Enough large room, some with balcony.
