« Peaceful Stay in Amstedam »

We stayed for two nights here, Our room was on the 8th floor, facing the main street. View was wonderful. The room was comfortable. Cleanliness was amazing. Quick check in and check out process. Breakfast was good, not one of the most amazing that I have had. Best part is the location -- Just outside the main city, not too far, but a quiet place. Tram no.2 stops just outside the hotel, which goes thru most of the attractions. Metro station is at a 5 Min walking distance . The only downside is that the hotel doesnot have a alcohol license

« Degraded in value and quality. Not worth it. »

I've stayed here on a number of occasions. Initially the stays were good. However over the last couple of months it's all been rather disappointing. The cleanliness of the duvet covers and sheets are debatable which is a big thing for me. The tv - recently a third of the channels weren't working. But in general I've found that on average a good number of channels aren't working. Some of the staff on front office are rude and even hang the phone up on you. Promises are made but not held up. I've only had breakfast here a handful of times and that was always up to standard. The gym is very very very small. And without a pool. The hotel does not have an alcohol license. There aren't any bars nearby but there is a supermarket if you want to purchase some alcohol. The tram outdoor takes you into the Centre. However there aren't any restaurants nearby apart from a Chinese place. I decided to not use this hotel but had already recommended it to two friends of mine. The had okay feedback so when I needed a hotel again I used them again. Nope big mistake. Well and truly done with this place.

« A very nice Hotel in Amsterdam »

I had room # 601 on 6th floor , corner room , the view was fantastic , the room had full comfort , nice and handy furniture , a long general manager desk to put all your staff . I had the feeling that this was a multinational CEO's office . The lobby was very modern .The restaurant cuisine was good and the breakfast flawless. Although it is located somehow far from the city center one can get easily there by metro and tramway Nr2

    « Recent visit »

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Exactly as it looks in the pictures. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. And although a little out of the centre, tram 2 takes just a short while and there is a stop just outside the hotel! Will definitely stay again on my next visit to Amsterdam! ... P.s the nespresso machine in the room is a god send after some late nights!

« Best by name, best my Nature! »

We booked this hotel on recommendation and they were right! The hotel was very grand looking, and so clean. Our room was lovely, and the espresso machine was an added bonus! The staff are brilliant, very attentive and informative, nothing was to much! The location is perfect, although not in the centre there are near by shops and restaurants and the tram is out the front and 15min journey takes you straight to the centre! Can not recommend the best western enough. Would certainly return if we visit Amsterdam again! :) Thank you for a brill stay :)

« Good value and parking »

Nice room. Metro at front door. Parking is very convenient and included in the price. They recommend a Lebanese restaurant close by which was excellent. Good neighborhood. A very friendly hotel and city

« Superb hotel but two flaws »

Brilliant hotel for comfort, cleanliness and most staff . It's a little way out but have a walk and there are so me lovely places to eat . But you do need to walk more than five months minutes away ! Transport links fairly close! Best shower ever and rooms feel very upmarket. Price was very good and made it superb value! So, why not top marks:- 1, rude lady in restaurant ! Very abrupt with us 2, breakfast was 15 euro and wasn't good value. Scrabbled eggs looked like chopped tofu, other hot food generally not up to standard. 3, no alcohol is served. Ok seems a bit petty and I am not an alcoholic but I expect to enjoy a beer with colleagues in two evening. However definitely staying here again!!!

    « 5 day stay in Amsterdam »

When we finished our Viking River Cruise in Amsterdam, we decided to stay for an extra 5 days. There were 7 of us and not knowing much about Amsterdam, we didn't know where to stay. We chose the Best Western because they could accommodate our request for three beds. It worked out very well. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The location was also a bonus. it was outside the busy-ness of Central Amsterdam which turned out to be very ok! The #2 Tram line stopped right in front of the hotel, making it very easy for us to get to where ever we were going for the day. And the public transportation in Amsterdam was great! We were also within walking distance of coffee shops and cafes. After the first day or so, we did get used to all of the bicycles - but be warned, and watchful - they are fiercely aggressive in their need to get to wherever they are going!!!

    « Lovely stay »

We stayed in this hotel during a short ciry break. We could not fault it. Really nice hotel with great staff and services. The breakfast is amazing. It is a short tram ride from the centre of Amsterdam but we didnt mind that. It meant we got to see more of the city.

    « Dry hotel »

So very difficult to review this. The hotel facilities were good, the staff very friendly, the rooms large, and overall very good value for the price. However for me personally it was a disaster. When I wnt to the empty restaurant on the first night, I'd ordered my meal and ask d for the wine list before being informed there was no wine or beer. Unfortunately there was nowhere close by so had about a ten minute walk to find somewhere suitable to eat. Returning from this excursion I intended to relax in the bar, but after getting back found that the bar also no alcohol, and returning to the room even the minibar was empty. I would strongly recommend this to non drinkers, but suggest that those of a more bachanalian nature avoid it

« amazing hotel with one tricky cons.. »

location of hotel is a bit far away from center (~25 min till Dam station), however Tram 2 station is literally in front of the building. there is a shopping mall over the canal; Lelylaan rail station with direct connect to airport ~10 mins walk away Room small but cosy, warm coloured; seems new. feel free to use Nespresso machine or to make a cup of tea! Bathroom is a masterpiece - big, luxury designed; interesting shower tube. BUT! lights turning on automatically when you come in and turning off in 20 secs I guess, so be prepare for finishing the shower in complete dark or run to the door to finish your makeup every 20 secs. very uncomfortable! Breakfast is rich, with fresh orange juice; variety of pastry; sausages, omelette, etc Overall hotel is extremely nice but lighting system in a bathroom is really annoying

    4
« Bit far from the Center »

We booked pretty late so the price was high. Still, very clean, big rooms and bathroom, very nicely decorated. Good beds. Our room was on a corner so quite view ... Breakfast has everything you need. Quite crowded but I thing hotel was fully booked. Uber to the city center costs about 11-15 euro. The hotel parking is also 15 euro/ day. Beter leave your car at the hotel and take the Uber or public transportation. It could be a challenge to park in the city and also very expensive.

    5
    « Amazing Atmosphere »

Stayed here with my partner, on a shopping trip to Amsterdam. Made to feel welcome from the moment that we walked in. Checking in is swift and we were in our room within minutes. We stayed in the comfort double and I have to say it was the best nights sleep we have had. The blinds in the room guaranteed no light entered the room until we were ready to wake up. The view was breath taking. The restaurant although has a small menu the food were amazing and well prepared. Buffet breakfast was great everything fresh and catered for all dietary needs. I would recommend to others and even stay again on my next visit.

    « I would give a rate 6 if that was possible »

Just in between the airport and downtown this hotel is a great option for those who are business travelers. Nice room, perfect bathroom, self check in, the hotel is practical, clean, modern and comfortable. I would definitely come back in the my next trip to Amsterdam.

    5
    « Amazing! »

Hotel was amazing, best hotel I've ever been to. The staff were lovely, the hotel itself was stunning and generally a fantastic experience. It's about 15/20 minutes on the tram to Amsterdam Central, but it's so worth the travel. Would highly recommend, Im definitely going back!

    4
    « Modern hotel »

I stayed there with a friend of mine for two days it is smoldering hotel with very friendly staff I loved it the room had very nice up to date gadgets I have two complaints the first is that I had to pay to park my car in the parking lot and the other problem I had was with the pillows they where lumpy and were not very comfortable. The rating would have been five if not for theses two inconveniences. I did not try the food d there so I have nothing to say about the food.

« Perfect stay for your trip away! »

Stayed at the best western during my 4 day visit to Amsterdam in late September, clean, modern rooms, great location. In my opinion i couldn't have chosen a better hotel to explore the stunning city of Amsterdam, conveniently located 10 minutes walk from Lelyaan station which is one stop from Amsterdam Schiphol airport this hotel is set in a quiet location on the outskirts of the city centre. A tram stop i located directly outside the hotel offering trams from early to late pm into the city centre every 10 minutes, we purchased a travel pass from the hotel reception for the price of 21 euros for the whole 4 day we was visiting the city, this pass allowed you unlimited transport on the trams, busses and metro in all areas of the city so not only travelling to and from the hotel was easy also travelling around the city to different areas and attractions was made easy. The hotel is modern and comfortable, rooms are equipped with coffee machine, air con/heating, large TV, free wifi (very good wifi), large shower, large comfortable queen size beds and a mini bar filled with various drinks and snacks (for an extra charge) the hotel also had bikes available to rent from reception, a restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner and also a bar, downstairs in the basement of the hotel there was also a fully equipped gym fro guests to use. the staff at the best western were very polite and always happy to help you find your way around the city, advise on things to see and do as well as make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If your looking for a comfortable hotel thats in a convenient but out of the hustle and bustle setting then this is the perfect hotel for you, will defiantly be returning to best western next time i visit the city of Amsterdam.

    « Celebration of 25th wedding anniversary »

This hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the city and surrounding area and offers excellent service. The bedrooms are spacious with a king size bed and the bathroom floor had under floor heating for added luxury! Breakfast is very reasonable priced and plentiful of dishes to choice from. Very attentive and friendly staff. Regular tram service just outside the hotel. All told a very happy experience.

    « Superb! »

I consider myself quite fussy but honestly can't find a fault with this hotel. We were fortunate enough to get a corner room with windows on 2 sides and views of the city. The room spacious with alot of attention to detail. Breakfast was worth paying the extra compared to prices en-route to the city centre. The no 2 tram stops literally outside the hotel and is a 20 min pleasant ride to the city centre past many tourists areas. All in all a great weekend + will definitely return.

« Clean, Quiet but no Alcohol License »

The hotel was very clean and very quiet. It is situated in a somewhat dull but quiet suburb of Amsterdam. However it is on a very good tram route directly in to the town although my children and I biked in every day via the beautiful Vondelpark which is not too far away and a lovely vibrant suburb. I never saw that many staff on duty but it didn't cause any concerns. We did decide to have a meal in the restaurant one evening but that wasn't anything to write home about and there is no alcohol served in the hotel!!! Would I stay there again...probably not as I occasionally like a drink in the bar when I stay in hotels. If this is not a problem then its a nice quiet place to stay.

« Tackling my bucket list. »

Great place to stay in Amsterdam. Close enough to enjoy old Amsterdam but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. It's right on the tram route, which is easy to use to connect with most of the must see sights. Good value and nice amenities.

« Super hotel and very quiet »

My husband and I with two friends have spent a week here. Super hotel and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I had a worry that it may be too far from the city centre but the tram literally stops outside. It takes approx. 20 mins to get to Dam square and it is a pleasant ride. The hotel was spotless and very well appointed, beds very comfortable and have never stayed at such a quiet hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and a great choice, cooked or continental. Cereals, fresh fruit, juices and any hot drinks. We ate in the hotel twice for our evening meal and found the standard very good and very good value compared to other meals we had in the city. Just wish we could have had a glass of wine with the meal, they do not have an alcohol licence and we weren't the only guests to comment. Would totally recommend to anyone wanting to stay near Amsterdam centre.

« Quiet hotel -well served by Tram 2 »

This hotel is comfortable, clean and serves good food at breakfast and dinner. It does not serve alcohol though. Some reception staff are not particularly welcoming and a request for milk/tea bags went unheeded in our case. On two of our three nights the tv did not work -and despite a request to sort it out -seemingly this was not something they could fix. The shower was great and the provision of good range of toiletries was a bonus. The tram stop to town is just outside of the hotel and the 15-20 min ride into town makes for a scenic tour in itself.

    5
    « ???? ??? ????? »

Very nice hotel worth it's price. Although not close to center, metro station is just in front can reach everywhere easily. I would like to thank Ms. Melis from the reception that helped us a lot with the babies. You are so kind !

    « Best Hotel »

Wow what a hotel. We stayed for 4 night's and I couldn't fault anything about it. The staff are helpful and friendly from the receptionist to the cleaners. There is a great choice for breakfast set in a very pleasant restaurant. We are already talking about going back before Christmas. I, personally find the location of the hotel to be excellent, just across the road is where you can catch a tram (Number 2) that will take you within 10-15 mins to where all the activities are. I highly recommend this hotel and will be returning very soon.

    5
    « Surprised!!! »

We had no idea what to expect on our first trip to Amsterdam. This hotel turned out to be perfect for us and our standards are high. Breakfast is perfect. Location is perfect especially if you want to stay outside the area of Central Amsterdam. The tram (very quiet) is just outside this hotel and it takes 15 mins right into Central Amsterdam passing the Van Gough museum and high end designer boutiques on the same line, as well as lovely views of canals and pretty houses. We love Amsterdam and me and my husband highly recommend this hotel. Oh, I forgot to mention, the airport Schipol is not far away.

« Good place to stay but.... »

The Best Western Couture is a new, nice and spacious hotel but it's too far from the center. There is a tram near the hotel but if you come for a short visit you have to take this fact in considarstion.

    4
    « Great stay »

What this hotel loses in terms of distance from the town centre , it makes up by excellence in hospitality We were there for 3 nights to participate in the Amsterdam Marathon. Staying slightly away from centre was both cost driven as well as noise driven. Here it was nice and peaceful and the tram stop was right outside the hotel. The tram goes to central station through the shopping areas and dam square. Very convenient . In fact at checkout we didn't tram/metro it , but rather walked 10 minutes to the leylaan train station which is one stop away from schipol airport Breakfast was good Rooms were nice and large, spotless clean and well appointed bathrooms The front desk was very helpful for travel arrangements, booking excursions, etc Well recommended

« Good hotel, rude receptionist »

The hotel was as expected for the amount we paid. However my stay there was tainted by a rude receptionist (a big blonde woman). I reserved a cake because I was celebrating my birthday weekend with my friends (by the way don't bother booking a cake with the hotel, they do not bake there and have to buy from outside). On arrival, I went to ask about the cake, but this woman was curt and unfriendly. She didn't seem to have an idea of what type of cake it would be nor did she offer any help. I let it be, but then I heard from my friends later that they also experienced the same frosty reception from her. I must say though that the other members of the front desk including the tall gentleman were super nice. We decided to avoid her and only deal with other staff who were friendly.

    3
« nice hotel but no bar »

stayed here for the weekend it's a lovely hotel a little bit out from dam square so make sure you bring your good walking shoes, didn't try the breakfast as I taught it was a bit expensive at €15 and there is plenty of places to eat which are cheap and cheerful

    4
    « Stars, stars, stars! »

Ordinary hotel but, it's Amsterdam and there was a broadcasting event when we were there in September so, every hotel was booked and we didn't have much choice unless we wanted to stay in a $500/night downtown hotel or a cheaper one.....at the airport. Very simplistic lobby, room O.K., staff unequal in their guest's service. The highlight: the tram in front! Expensive breakfast but, it's Amsterdam! How do they get their stars anyway?!?!

    5
« Great Hotel, away from the city centre »

We stayed here as it offered secure parking (15 euros a night) and it was a excellent hotel. We arrived at 11.30 and were able to check in straight away. We would stay again, even if we didn't need parking. Our breakfast was included in the room rate and was excellent. 20 minute tram journey into Amsterdam was very easy, a 48 hour pass was 12.50. Thoroughly recommend - especially if you need parking

    5
    « AMAZING »

This hotel is amazing! It has all the facilities you need for a short stay in Amsterdam. Rooms immaculate, staff very polite and knowledgeable, location perfect with a tram stop directly in front of the hotel which takes you straight to the centre or the other way to the airport!

    5
    « Lovely »

Great hotel, with excellent transport links in the form of a tram stop right outside the front door for access into town. Room was clean, fully stocked with extras including a hairdryer, iron and board and coffee machine. Includes a wonderful bathroom and flatscreen tv. Staff are friendly and accommodating, especially as we had our hotel changed last minute due to overcrowding at the Kings Court. They dealt with it quickly and efficiently and so it did not affect our trip. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend.

    5
    « Wonderful Hotel »

One of the cleanest, most ultramodern and most comfortable hotels I have ever experienced. Located in a quiet residential and commercial area, it's a pleasant 20 minute ride on the #2 tram to all the excitement. From the airport, take bus 69 to Antwerpenbaan and Laan v. Vlananderen where you can get the #2 tram towards Centraal Station. The entire trip takes less than 30 minutes. The area around the hotel is mostly residential apartment buildings and there are two supermarkets in a courtyard a few minutes' walk away. There's also an ?Action? market there where everthing's a bargain. Walking east from the hotel, along the tram route takes you to the Woest restaurant which is recommended. The real highlight of this hotel is the wifi. I clocked over 34 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload which is the fastest hotel wifi ever experienced. The lowlight is the satellite TV. Aside from being extremely sluggish, several stations (including CNN), could not be accessed during my entire stay due to being ?scrambled.? No one at the hotel knew why, although there were interesting theories expressed. But TV notwithstanding, you probably won't find a better value or a more convenient location outside of the city center than this hotel.

    5
« Excellent hotel with tram stop at the front door »

Our room was clean, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. They let us check in early as our flight arrived at 9:30 am. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Amsterdam.

    5
    « Amazing stay »

This hotel was perfect ! It had everything me and my partner needed and more. I have not stopped recommending this hotel to family and friends. Firstly the staff were excellent, they could not do enough for you. The hotel itself had everything you would need from free computers and printing, beautiful big spacious rooms with a lovely big rainfall shower, a smart t.v in your room, everything you would need in regards to toiletries which was amazing as me and my partner only travelled with hand luggage and decided it would just be easier to buy some in Amsterdam but there was no need and a lovely restaurant which served delicious food. Also being only a tram away from the city centre was perfect. Please don't change a thing, i cant wait for the next time i visit and Thank You for an amazing stay i may even book again for our anniversary

    5
« nice view and god service »

I stayed at the best western Hotel in Amsterdam for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The room was cozy and we had a really nice view. Our room was in the corner which means that half the room was surrounded by windows. I can definitely recommend staying here!

« Excellent hotel, close enough to the centre but out of the noise »

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great location. This hotel is based a bit out of town so you dont have to put up with all the noise. It is on the 2 tram line and takes 20mins to get to the centre so no big deal. Really clean, spacious rooms with black out blinds. Bathrooms are big with great rainfall shower. Didnt try the breakfast unfortunately. Well priced too.

    5
    « Perfect Choice »

I agree with many of the comments made about this property by previous reviewers. Yes, it is a bit outside the city but the tram stop is extremely close. Tip: buy a multi-day tram ticket that allows unlimited travel. It is much more economical than paying for each tram ride. My husband, daughter and I found this hotel to be very comfortable and quiet. One reason we chose it was we could book a triple room (3 single beds) which was not an option at several other hotels we considered. We loved the Nespresso machine and the housekeeping staff was quick to replenish the capsules when requested. I also agree with the reviewer who said the 15 euro charge for breakfast was excessive. We took advantage of the Lidl and Albert Heijn supermarkets located less than a 10-minute walk away, where we were able to get fruit and bakery items for the morning, as well as wine for the evening (there are actual wine glasses in the room). There are two desktop computers in the lobby which can be utilized by guests and came in handy for planning our day's activities (much easier to see the map on a larger monitor). We stayed three nights and did not have any complaints. Would definitely book again.

    5
    « Great hotel »

We stayed at the hotel as a present to my partner for his birthday and it did not disappoint. The hotel was brilliant, located right on the tram line to take you into the centre. When we arrived our room was upgraded free of charge which was beautiful. Would highly recommend staying here again.

    4
« Good hotel, bit far from centre »

?The hotel is located in quiet suburbs of Amsterdam. We liked it however distance to the centre needs to be taken into account when booking. It is 20-25 mins by tram to the centre (Dam) or 25-30 mins to Central Station. Transport links are good - tram 2 runs frequently to the centre and a stop is opposite the hotel entrance. It is 10 mins walk to Lelylaan Train station which has frequent trains to Schipol (10 mins). There is no reception desk as such and you use self-check in kiosk both to check in and out. It feels a bit impersonal but works ok. We had a double room which was smartly furnished. There is automatic mini-bar which is charged for room. Unfortunately there is no fridge available, you can use a small drawer shelf underneath the mini-bar to keep things cool. There is iron and ironing board in the room if you need it. There is a safe which is free of charge. We liked that there was usb sockets in the wall as well as one UK type socket on the wall in case you forgot charger or adaptor. There is Nespresso machine with supply of tea and coffee capsules. Room was cleaned daily and to good standard. Bathroom has underfloor heating. There is supply of usual toiletries available as well as hairdryer. There is restaurant if you would like breakfast or dinner. We felt that 15 euro/pp for a breakfast was bit steep especially if you stay several days. There is no kids eat free offer that you see in UK hotels, or any discount for children. You can have breakfast for much less than that in the heart of the city. Or for a fraction if you get stuff from local lidl/albert hejn (next to hotel) We would use in the future.

    5
    « Fantastic hotel »

Absolutely great hotel! Would highly recommend. Really close to the centre by tram. The stop is right outside the hotel but away from the noisy city centre. Rooms are refurbished up to an excellent standard for the price. I would have happy paid double the rate we did. Would definitely stay here again!

    5
« Excellent choice for 2 or 3 days in Amsterdam. »

What I liked: 1. Within 100m of tram stop. There's a tram about every 15min to & from Centraal which can be reached in about 30min. 2. Our big triple room with great view of the city. 3. Very clean room with large flat screen TV. Complimentary drinking water. Sufficient tea / coffee sachets. 4. Clean spacious bathroom, hair dryer, sufficient toiletries. 5. Efficient, noiseless airconditioning. 6. Speedy check-in & check-out. What I would have liked: 1. A convenience store or supermarket nearby. 2. Somewhat lower tariff. What I didn't like: 1. No fridge.

    4
    « Three night stay »

This is a very good hotel. My wife and I visited Amsterdam for 4 days (3 nights) and booked this hotel on line. It is a little out of the hustle & bustle of the City Centre but is superbly served by the number 2 tram line. The staff are excellent, anything you want to know, they will try to help, and generally succeed. Massive thank you to all! The hotel seems very quiet, the rooms are spacious, plenty of storage & a free safe. Good lighting, and en-suite shower room. Hard to find complaint for the money The only gripe I would offer is that the hotel has no alcohol licence, ( I assume it will get one); and therefore there is no bar or real social area. Not that Amsterdam is short of such areas! We didn't use the restaurant for meals or for breakfast.

    3
« Could have been better »

Hotels in Amsterdam are not cheap, and this was in the lower segment of the "ok" hotels so we chose that. However, it's still not cheap, and we expected more than what we got. The room was very nice, but the cleaning could have been better. The glasses in the bathroom were so dirty I didn't even risk using them. The carpet next to my side of the bed was soaking wet for the first 2 days of our stay - probably had been cleaned or something. There was also dust here and there, and in general I was not impressed with the cleaning. In the morning we got a big surprise when the breakfast was not included in the room charge. We were not informed about this when ordering, and was very surprised when we had to pay €15 per person for breakfast. If pre-ordering it was €12.5.

    4
    « Perfect »

Very clean, modern, everything was perfection. I'm a business traveler, so not up for surprise. The breakfast buffet was very good, worth the price. If i had to complain, it would be about the WiFi, a little slow. Close to the Metro which can get you downtown in 20 min.

    5
« Great value for the price »

The hotel was clean, nice size room, quiet. It is a little out of the tourist area but the tram stop is right across the street and you can easily and cheaply get anywhere in the city. Ice was available at the bar in the lobby. We took a cab to the airport, but others took the team and said it was easy.

    « Great Hotel »

Stayed here for 2 nights came on a girlie holiday! Great hotel very clean and fancy great for the price. Great for the price. It's about a tram and train journey from schiphol airport coasting a couple of euros, and from dam town about 20-30mins get on and off right outside the hotel ( tram 2). Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend staying here, out of the town but very easy jump on and tram quite area. ( if you do stay here get a GVB pass this allows you jump on most trams and buses to go wherever you want covers travel while you there) trams stops everywhere!! Great place would go back to this hotel ??

    « Light and shadow ! »

We had a mixed experience in this hotel. We liked the location, very close to the tram station and a 15 minute ride downtown. We liked the restaurants close to the hotel. We liked the staff of the hotel...very friendly ! We didn't like the size of the room ( a little small if you have a baby bed in there ), the dust we found in the two rooms we checked, the non-working food vending machine (instead of a minibar) in your room, and the HORRIBLE breakfast buffet. This buffet is a 15 euro rip off ! It was so bad we didn't even bothered to try the restaurant. All in all more shadow than light.

« Excellent hotel out of city centre »

20 minutes out of centre of Amsterdam with regular tram (number 2) stopping outside hotel. Very modern, clean rooms and excellent bathroom. Good free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was really good with an extensive choice. Loved the fresh orange juicer!!! The only slight negative I have is with regard to the fabulous Nespresso coffee machine in the room (I have a smaller model at home). It's too large and only 3 pods left each day for 2 people. If they are going to the expense of providing this type of machine why are they limiting capsules. The reception desk gave us more without question but I feel one should not have to ask. Overall a fantastic stay, brilliant staff and very good value for money. I would definitely stay again.

    « Business Trip »

This is a very friendly and clean welcoming hotel. Breakfast very good and the bacon yummy. Evening meal very good but also nearby restaurant (Woest) in walking distance very good too. Room modern, big bathroom lovely shower and plenty of desk space and seating. Very nice coffee machine came in handy. Car parking available and reasonable. We had a very enjoyable stay.

    « Well priced »

This property was well priced and nicely presented. Clean rooms. Breakfast is expensive. Coffee in the lobby came with a charge. I would have given this place a higher rating if they were a little more accommodating. Let me quickly explain. We came from Canada and our flight was delayed 24 hrs. When we received word from the airline that the flight was delayed we immediately called the hotel. Note there is a 6 hour time difference. They were nice enough to not cancel our reservations, but they charge all three rooms the first night because we were a couple hours passed the 24 hr deadline. Zero compassion that we've lost an entire day and the €120 per room was distasteful to say the least.

« Three night break on the tram route. »

There were a number of reasons for choosing this hotel. Its location outside the centre means that its charges for car parking is reasonable, some places in the centre charge 50 Euros a day. BW charge 15 pd day in their secure on site parking lot. The hotel is set right on the #2 tram route with a stop right in front of the hotel. We bought two 48 hr tram tickets for 25 Euros and enjoyed unlimited travel around town each day. Reception was friendly and efficient, the room was a typical clean modern pattern with an excellent bathroom shower and all the usual fittings. The buffet style breakfast was also very good with a very wide selection of items available from a cooked breakfast through various pastries and bread options, fruits and cereals. Option for coffee were delivered by a machine that dispensed a variety of different choices and I was very happy with my morning coffee each day. The only, but fairly major, failing was the total lack of alcohol on the premises, no bar, no wine or beer options for dinner and a tea-total mini bar. No fridge in the room but a small draw below the automat mini bar. No room to store or cool any significant number of items. Over all we were very pleased with our stay and the staff were very good, always friendly and helpful.

    « Excellent hotel »

The hotel was excellent with very helpful staff. It is a little far from the city center(around 30 mins by public transport) but the tram stop next to the hotel is very convenient. The area around is very nice with restaurants and a decent coffeeshop within a 10 minute walk.

Good and clean hotel. A little far from he center but easy transportation. The manager of the hotel was very nice and helpful .my husband had an emergency and he solved the problem for us I recommend the hotel

    « Four night break »

Did a lot of research on where to stay in Amsterdam. This hotel although quite a way outside the city centre seemed to meet the bill and most certainly didn't let us down. The room was of a good standard extremely clean and spacious. We had four good night's sleep in a lovely peaceful room. To make our experience better the provision of a kettle rather than the coffee machine would be better as I only drink tea and the water from the coffee machine wasn't hot enough. In addition we were provided with fancy teas and only one English breakfast which once used was replaced with rooibos tea (horrible). The hotel doesn't have a licence at the moment so no alcoholic drinks on site. This wasn't a problem as there was a lovely bar 5 mins walk away. We could have breakfast on site but at 15euros each felt this was a lot steep. Again 5 mins walk away opposite the Drovers bar/restaurant mentioned above there was a superb deli which provided a good breakfast to have in the room at a fraction of the price. If we visit Amsterdam again we would definitely use this hotel again, getting into the city centre was a breeze on the no2 tram (stop directly outside the hotel).

« First visit to Amsterdam »

The hotel was relatively easy to find from the local intercity station from the airport. About a 15 minute walk. The hotel is modern, only recently been built. We had a comfort room and was a good size, plenty of space. The room was well sound insulated and whilst the hotel was busy, we did not hear a thing. The local tram (number 2) has a stop outside the hotel and you can go all the way to Central Station. Generally a great location. Down side is that the hotel did not have an alcohol licence, not sure why and the breakfast is very expensive. We found a local deli which did a great breakfast m, far better value for money.

« A Good Value Hotel A Bit Off Center »

Location is a bit off. It is a few tram stops from Amsterdam Central Station. The tram stop is just in front of the hotel. The tram ride was about 25 minutes. The neighborhood is very quiet and a bit far from action. Staff were friendly and ready to help and offer information. Room was neat and clean and reasonably spacious for 3 of us. Wifi was fast and free.

    5
« Great value for money »

The hotel is perfectly located near tram stop which means good connectivity to the centre and the hotel has lovely rooms . Service was good and I enjoyed the breakfast too. The staff was also friendly and always ready to help us in exploring the city, making books etc. All in all it was a very pleasant experience staying in this property .

    « Brilliant hotel »

This hotel is lovely! Stunning rooms and bathrooms (especially the bathrooms) lovely breakfast, easy check in and check out, far enough from the centre of amterdam to be quiet and a short tram ride to the centre. The tram is right outside the hotel... even better :) will def stay again

    « Enjoyable Stay »

We arrived at 11.30am on a Monday morning, and the lady at reception happily checked us in which was fantastic as we were not expecting this. The room was on the fourth floor. The room was emaculate. Mini bar within the room and a walk in shower. Decent sized TV too which you can use your Spotify on and YouTube as it's a smart TV. We knew that the hotel wasn't near the centre but this really didn't bother us and liked getting the tram. It was €21 for three days unlimited use. We brought these from the train station which is a ten minute walk and the train also takes you straight to the airport. The number 2 tram will take you into the centre and is every 10 minutes, up until midnight. I believe the number 5 is free and we saw this often in the city centre. The receptionists are incredibly friendly and approachable and definitely would give credit to the cleaners. There is even a mini gym with a games room which we discovered on the first day. Lidl is also about a five minute walk away. The fresh bakery was amazing! Loved this hotel. If you want somewhere quiet to stay and still be within tram distance of the centre then this is the place for you. Tip: keep your bag safe with you in the city or anywhere for that matter as we had money stolen in the centre. Luckily we had decent insurance!

« Very good hotel for business trip »

Very quiet, clean and good rooms. A little bit should be improved on the service but overall was ok. Easy accessible if you are going to move a lot in Amsterdam. I really liked the check in and check out process :)

    5
    « A perfect experience »

Other than the perfect location (right outside the city center & quiet neighbourhood with a tram stop right in front of the hotel 20 min to the hotel) The staff are so accommodating, efficient, professional and they are simply happy people! The rooms are clean , tidy, and elegant Service and overall stay will definitely be. 9/10 Thanks to the hotel for making our stay amazing and will definitely come back to this hotel again !

« Good hotel slightly out of the centre. »

Very good and clean property, we enjoyed staying in this hotel and although it was slightly out of the Amsterdam centre it was not very far approx 15mind by tram. Food was good and the rooms are very nice and comfy. This hotel is relatively new with a new check in innovative system, definitely recommended.

« The second for the price of one »

I wasn't supposed to stay at this hotel but found myself here because the Golden Tulip at Sloterdijk was overbooked. This is an OK hotel. The rooms are modern, the staff friendly. The breakfast was good. All OK, except it's in the not the hotel I expected to stay in and it's not in the part of Amsterdam I wanted. How did I end up here? Well, it turns out the same folks own both hotels. I suppose they were doing me a service by booking me a room here when they had sold my reserved room at the other hotel, and they paid my taxi fare to this hotel, but they did not pay my taxi fare back to Sloterdijk, where my meeting was the following morning. You can tell I am still a bit sore about this. Sorry, Couture, you weren't what I was looking for.

    5
« Brilliant hotel for a competitive price »

The location of the hotel is a bit far away from the city centre, but that means it's very spacious and modern unlike the city centre ones. The tram 2 stopped right outside the hotel, which meant getting to and from town was very convenient. We got a 4 day GVB unlimited travel ticket which was brilliant value for €21.50 from the airport, then got the 69 bus to Antwerpenbaan. From there just walk a minute towards the tram lines and get the 2 tram towards Central Station or "Naar Central Station", then get off at "Delflandaan" which is the stop outside the hotel. Everyone speaks English so ask for help from the friendly locals if lost. The lobby was modern and had internet access everywhere. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was a standard double but very spacious with a little table and 2 chairs too. The bathroom was modern and the rainfall shower was great too. Toiletries were provided. The cupboard had an ironing board and an iron, the coffee machine served coffee and tea, however there was no mini fridge which was slightly annoying. Overall, this is a 4 star hotel you get for the price of a 3 star. Facilities are great, breakfast however is expensive even if you book it the night before at a discounted rate (€12.50 each). There is a lidl about a 2 min walk away which we used to buy breakfast Top tip: Access to google maps is highly recommended. Buy a local data sim if your phone carrier has high roaming charges, but google maps saved us so much hassle.

    « Faultless »

Just outside of the main part of the city but on a main tram route, this hotel was an absolute gem. Modern, clean, well equipped and quiet. It was a nice touch to have a coffee machine in the rooms and free fresh fruit in reception. Staff were very friendly although the self service check in means you don't have to talk to anyone if you don't want to. We loved the tram ride through to the main area, so this hotel was perfectly placed for us. We would definitely stay here again.

« Best hotel ever, with a great price »

This hotel has everything a family needs for an enjoyable trip to Amsterdam. There is a tram stop located outside the hotel, it takes roughly about 15 minutes on the tram to get into the centre. The staff were very helpful and the room was a lovely temperature and size. There are also supermarkets and cafes close by. I would highly recommend staying here.

    « Excellent »

Everything was at it's best... The room was large and clean and we had everything we needed. It was also very quiet. The self check-in / check-out facility was convenient. The luggage room was very helpful. The lobby was very elegant. Breakfast was the same every day, but very complete. The bathroom was very large and very well equipped. The hot mirror in the bathroom is a clever thing. Tram nr 2. ii is 10 steps away.

« Friendly staff, well maintained, brilliant »

The hotel is very well maintained and clean. Staff of all levels were very helpful and made our experience easier -Good points- Good location as the tram (2) line is right outside the hotel and €20 will get you a 96hour pass, and will run through good areas like Rembrandt square and to central (red light district). The tram also runs past the Bulldog if you fancy a 'smoke' and good food Very clean, as staff were constantly keeping the hotel fresh and clean to the point where it would always feel like the hotel had been newly built Comfy spacious rooms and quality beds! Free tea and coffee in the rooms Staff will allow you to lock your luggage in a room in reception either side of checking in/out Thank you for your services

« Short break with friends, great hotel »

Stayed a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend with friends, spotless, modern and clean throughout. Staff very helpful excellent breakfast a short tram ride into the town centre which stops just outside the hotel. Would definitely recommend.

« Well run hotel, good staff »

The hotel is on the out edge of Amsterdam, but don't let that put you off, the hotel is on a tram line which goes to the centre of Amsterdam. Hotel is clean and the beds are nice my trip was for a Martial Art seminar, so I need some where to relax after a day in the Dojo, that's what I got. the breakfast was a simple buffet but with a large range of option, and a fresh orange juice machine which provide a lovely fresh juice. The evening meal were good, but no alcohol did mean it would not be the top choice for a Stag/Hen Party, which could be seen as an advantage.

« Laundry issues, staff reluctant to help but otherwise very good »

I would've unhesitatingly given this hotel 5 stars, but for the laundry issues we had. Our bed had hair strands in it and when we complained at night, the staff member on reception started questioning us about what time we had checked in, implying that we should've pointed this out earlier in the day. (We couldn't have done that because we were out sightseeing and were only getting into bed at night!) This staff member continued to be reluctant to help stressing that it was late at night (11pm) and no housekeeping staff was available and that it wasn't his job to manage housekeeping issues. We had to say that we would have check out at that very moment before he agreed to change the sheets- only to bring a stained one as replacement! We finally received a fresh, clean sheet after more conversation!! I also found a long hair in a fresh towel the next day! Seems to be a general laundry issue. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful and well connected, and has everything going for it but more than the laundry, it was the attitude of that staff member that ticked us off! Hope they learn some basic hospitality rules from this review!

    « NICE HOTEL »

Spent 7 night in that hotel. Including breacfast it is expensive, as every hotel in Amsterdam though. It is a modern and clean hotel. The rooms comfortable, clean, modern, nice big beds and beautiful bath. Although it is away from city center, the number 2 tram's station is in fact out of the hotel's door, so find a sit and enjoy the city. If you are in Amsterdam for vacations you will not need any other tram line than number 2 anyway. Depending on the busy streets it could be from 15 to 30 minutes, but its not as bad as it may sounds. Also the airport is not far away. Peaceful and quiet neighborhood, but not lots to do around. Two tram stops before the hotel were a few markets, restaurants and bars. Cleaning services very good. Nice breakfast but for the money you are paying for it could be renewed every now and then. As well the very busy days the breacfast buffet could be more clean and the staff more helpful. The hotel's staff could be more polite(with some exceptions). Overal it worth a visti if you want to avoid the busy and most expensive neighborhoods. Note: Book a room with view in the canal

    « Best hotel »

We stayed here for 7 overnights. Even if it is not in the Center by tram 2 in 25 minutes you get to the Amsterdam Centraal Station. The hotel is very good, clean and modern. Cleaning services every day. Photos in advertisements reflect reality. Very comfortable beds and in the living room there's a coffee machine made. Staff are English speaking and friendly. At the the check-in you receive a document with a set of information(hotels rules, etc.). You can check-in and check-out. Does the room where you can leave your luggage. From the Schiphol Airport the hotel can be reached by train in 10 minutes (in direction Amersfoort Vathorst Sprinter) and you stop in Amsterdam Lelylaan (first stop) and then 15 minutes walking. Or by bus 69 (direction Sloterdijk) and you stop in Antwerpenbaan. You walk 1 minutes to Laan van Vlaanderen and you take the tram 2 (direction centraal station) and you stop in Delflandlaan. The hotel is 2 min walking. From the hotel you can purchase tickets for public transport for 24, 48, 72, 96 hours. The hotel is a smoke free, this rule violation to draw a penalty. Also, you can't order alcoholic beverages, but 5 minutes walk there are two supermarkets. Tram line 2 you go to almost all the points that is a must to be visited in Amsterdam (Van Gogh Rijkmuseum, museumAmsterdam Museum, Vonderpark, Centraal Station, Beginhof, etc.). In conclusion, it is worth staying at this hotel and if I go back I will stay here again.

    « Bad experience »

Far from city center but tram 2 stops in front of the hotel. No pubs o restaurants nearby. Not a 4 stars. Very poor cleaning and rude reception staff. Just in case of emergency. Too expensive for the service.

« Nice hotel in quite location »

Nice property situated in a quite location. Away from busy city. Well connected. Tram 2 ,stops in front of hotel, connects all landmark points / stops and frequent. Clean, spacious , nice rooms. Well maintained and maintained daily during our stay. Helpful staff. 20 minutes from Airport, costed around 30 Euro. Tram takes approximately 25 minutes to Amsterdam Centraal station. Museum district , DAM and other places are 10 to 20 minutes tram travel. Not many restaurants nearby. Couple of super markets with in walking distance of 5 minutes.

    « Lovely clean hotel. »

Stayed here for two nights. Very reasonably priced probably because it's about a 25 min tram ride from the city centre. But the tram stops right outside and the metro is a 5 min walk. The room was excellent and so was breakfast. Recommended.

« The best hotel i got in my europe trip »

CONS 1.The hotel far away from the places where all the fun is. 2. Nothing to do around the hotel except 1 restaurant. 3.Strictly no smoking policy. 4.Breakfast was ok. PROS 1. The tram station is just in front of the hotel and tram is a very quick and cheap mode of travelling. 2.The view is fantastic of the water canal system of Amsterdam. 3. Smart Tv was great , we enjoyed dancing to our local punjabi music on youtube and the sound system is great. 4.Bathroom floor was heated which feels great in february. 5.Very big suite room. 6.Staff was very helpful made us understand the map , helped us buying tram tickets . 7. Will surely visit again.

« Excellent hotel, but too far from the city centre »

The hotel is very modern and stylish, the rooms and bathroom are of a good size and well decorated and very clean. The breakfast is excellent, a real variety and lots of choice, although very busy! There is a tram stop outside the hotel which is convenient to get into the centre as it is too far to walk, but we were only there for 2 nights and it is about a 40 minute trip into the centre - so we wasted a lot of time on the tram. I have stayed in the city before and it is much more convenient, especially if you are only there for a couple of nights, and the cost of staying in the city is really similar to this hotel. Overall, a nice hotel, but I would not stay here again purely because of the inconvenience of being so far from the centre.

    « The hotel doesn't sell alcohol ! »

We booked a two night stay which I regarded as expensive. The location is near to a tram that's all I can say really? The staff have no customer skills. They said they have no licence and could not sell a glass of wine but there is nowhere walkable to go to eat drink or shop! My daughter asked for some pizza in the restaurant and was told that she could take it to her room as that menu is room service only ? I asked for a jug of iced tap water and was given half a glass of Luke warm water. The following water I asked for a coffee in the reception area, the member of staff poured some espresso rather than ask which coffee I would like, it was actually latte that I wanted. some staff training needed, sort a licence and the hotel should be clearer on their website. when I complained I was told the manager was off duty til Monday and I had to ask her to take a note of my name as she wasn't going to offer.

« Great Hotel with easy access to the city »

After having previously booked an incredibly expensive hotel for our 3 night trip to Amsterdam I had a rethink and booked this place. It was perfect for a family of four. The rooms were spacious and clean and althought the location was out of town the tram stop right outside made getting in and out of the city centre really easy. I would advise buying a tram ticket from reception (17 euros for 3 days) for unlimited travel. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but bought supplies from the local Lidl supermarket and sampled the wares at Staal (a local cafe - highly recommended).

    5
    « Awesome »

Hotel is very modern and the location is ideal out of the city but with a tram stop right outside which then only takes 25mins to get to the city. Awesome breakfast buffet with a huge variety. Great value for money and the staff are very friendly. Will stay here again.

    « Fabulous hotel! »

What a fabulous hotel ,although located away from city center yet extremely well connected with a tram starting right outside the hotel. We had booked 2 rooms this August, and to our surprise we were upgraded to Executive suite for one of our rooms. The room was extremely beautiful, clean, huge with a separate tv room and huge bathroom. 2 complimentary water bottles were provided, as well as a nespresso coffee machine. The breakfast for 12.50 euros per person (pre booked rate) was excellent with a very good spread- eggs, beans, amazing freshly baked croissants, vegetables, fresh orange juice, meat cold cuts and a lot more. The hotel provided free print out service. They helped me book my Rijkmuseum tickets as well. Restaurant serves dinner but very limited options for vegetarians. Tram 2 which you can take right outside the hotel takes you to dam square within 20 mins. Overall, superb stay. Negative- no bar permit yet .

    « Perfect City Break »

Stayed at the Best Western for 4 days. We travelled to Amsterdam by train and picked up Tram 2 to our destination. The tram stops right outside the hotel. I agree it can be quite impersonal as you can do your own check in and out and wouldn't have to speak to anyone. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as thought 15 euro per person quite expensive. There are lots of cafe's on the way to the town to have something to eat at half the price. We had a meal in the restaurant on our last night which was lovely and fairly priced. Our room was lovely and was on the 8th floor we didn't hear any traffic at all despite being right next to the motorway. We would definitely pick this hotel again. We tended to walk into town and get the tram back. We hired a bike on the last day. 15 euro for a day hire plus a 50 euro deposit per bike. We loved cycling round the town. We loved Amsterdam the people are so nice and friendly. Not sure what the city is like at night but is certainly a great place to be during the day.

    « Outstanding hotel »

Having just returned from a stay here for the second time, it has to be said that this hotel is excellent. We arrived at around 7am after a long night of travelling and wasn't looking forward to hanging around until the official check-in time of 2pm. To our surprise and complete delight, the lady at the desk checked us in to a free room and we went straight to bed - outstanding. The place is modern, clean, with everything you need and some nice views. The TV has around 100 channels, with a wide variety different languages (yes, I went through them all after visiting The Rookies one night...). Housekeeping will tidy your room and restock everything, every single day (towels, coffee pods for the coffee machine, etc.) - as long as you press the cool 'Please Make Up' button. Look, it really is a nice, quiet place, with helpful staff. If you want to be left to do your own thing, this is the place to be. All encounters I ever had with the staff were pleasant and resolved quickly. To address some of the negative points here... most of the bad reviews are from people who obviously expect to be waited on hand and foot. Poor location? The hotel is situated around a 15-minute walk to the beautiful Vondelpark, which takes you straight through to the main parts of Amsterdam - we made a point to walk through it every day. It's also right next to a tram stop, and being a little out of the centre means you get all the calm you could desire. No bar, but who actually cares? You're in Amsterdam! Most bars stay open until at least 1am, there are coffee shops on every corner, and you can just buy it in the supermarket a 2-minute walk away. Top-notch place and simply wouldn't stay anywhere else in Amsterdam.

« Ok hotel but NEVER book a tour with hotel »

The staff were friendly, rooms clean and beds comfortable. When I went to book a tour to Bruges they took my money quickly and gave minimal instructions... Like "They don't pick you up, you go to the office outside central station somewhere there, look around for the ticket and bookings sign and the tour commences" Wrong!wrong! Wrong I was told to be there at 10.30 ....... Wrong time. When I got to the place the tour had left!! No refund available and about $98. I am furious at the complete lack of knowledge of the tour booking staff member I encountered and an expensive lesson I learnt!

« Impersonal, Poor Location, but Good Rooms and Great Value »

A tall, modern hotel with nice rooms, located midway between downtown and the airport. For the price (I paid around 100 euros) this is a very good deal if you don't mind being in the middle of nowhere. Check-in is automated--unless there's a hitch. The front desk doubles as an ersatz bar, and it's clear the clerks would rather serve at the bar than check in guests--though they were helpful when needed. And we had two small water bottles awaiting us in our room, which was modern and new. Rooms like ours have a very narrow cabinet instead of a closet, and there are some packaged slippers inside (though I don't know if they charge you for opening and using them). Instead of the usual dresser there is a low bench with several small drawers beneath it. Next to the bench is a counter/desk with a wall-mounted TV above it. Our room had two chairs by the window. Wifi is free but unsecured. The bathroom is fairly spacious with a good-sized, glass-enclosed shower stall equipped with both a rain head and a spray-wand. Instead of a fridge or minibar you get a small vending machine. Beds were firm. Since the hotel is a high rise, views get better the higher you go, but since you're quite a ways from downtown, it's mostly just a ubiquitous city-scape view--though certainly a nice one. Breakfast is 12.50 euros if booked in advance, 15 otherwise. And there is a plentiful selection, with more than the usual number of hot items. The breakfast room is large and attractively furnished, though a bit cluttered and dark. Public transit from the train station is easy: catch the #2 tram, ride for 20-25 minutes, get off at the Delflandlaan stop (announced on screens in the tram), turn around and walk back half a block, cross the street, and you're there. Coming from the airport sounded trickier, but easier than getting back to the airport, both of which apparently require a combination of long walk, bus, and train. Getting to the airport by public transit ended up being so complicated and hard for the desk clerks to figure out and explain that we opted simply to pay 35 euros for the 20-minute taxi ride. In sum: value-priced, modern, new, with nice views and a good (though paid) breakfast, but impersonal, with less than the usual amount of storage space, and located a ways from both downtown and the airport.

    « Great value! »

Super clean and convenient to get to from the airport. Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds, a big bathroom and a fabulous view. Very comfortable beds, with a clean modern design. Numerous outlets for charging your electronics, and ample closet space

    « Modern, lovely hotel »

We only stayed for one night so we had no experience with the housekeeping. Everything went smooth from check-in to check-out. The parking was very practical and affordable. The bathroom was very modern, the beds were quite comfortable, and the room comes with an espresso machine that gets restocked daily. The reception can help you with a variety of things as explained in the welcome brochure. The tram stop is right outside the hotel. Walking towards the city centre takes about an hour and takes you through the Vondelpark, which is a great place to walk.

« Superb hotel, easily accessible, large room, highly recommended »

We stayed at this hotel for a week on our last trip. Although hotel is not centrally located but its easily approachable by tram and bus. The tram station is just outside the building. The hotel has self check-in kiosk. The room was quite spacious and beautifully decorated with modern furnishing. So was the bathroom. Services were mechanical - Check in/check out at kiosk, a electronic panel for housekeeping and do not disturb, mini bar was like mini vending machine. Everything was so smooth that we actually did not interact with any of staff other than in the restaurant. The breakfast served was good and delicious but repetitive every day. A little variation in menu is really appreciated. Overall we had a very nice stay and we are definitely a comeback guests.

A lovely hotel with a comfortable room. Really appreciated the warm bathroom floors and the great breakfasts. A fair way to travel to the attractions but there is help as there is direct access to busses and trams. Buy a transport card.

« Personally not for me.... »

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during July 2016. The good: -Well sized rooms; -Modern rooms and bathrooms; -Close proximity to public transportation; -Within walking distance to a supermarket and pharmacy; -The room has a safe; -There is a coffee machine in the room and the hotel provides nespresso packets; -Access to computers and printers. The bad: -Location is about 20 mins from city center; -Minimal closet storage; -No bathrobes; -The hotel does not provide the usual cotton wash towels/bath rags, only disposable washcloths; -Uncomfortable mattress and euro sized pillows; -Hotel staff are not very personable; -Limited thermostat control in the rooms; -Housekeeping did not seem to clean the rooms until very late afternoon; -The hotel does not have an alcohol license; -There is no turn down service and they do not provide bottle water, apart from two bottles that are in the room when you initially check-in. Tips: -Travel with your own electrical converter if you need to use any small appliances (flat iron etc) that you carry with you. -There is a tram that stops outside of the hotel and you can purchase tickets from the hotel receptionist (you can purchase day passes or 4-day passes and this includes bus and tram transportation).

    « Really nice hotel »

We've been here in June for a business trip of a few days. This hotel is very cool. The rooms look amazing and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a very nice and big shower. You could also set-up your "Do not disturb" sign from inside the room, simply by pressing a button. We also had dinner there, and the food was very tastly. At breakfast you have lots of choices as well. I'll defintely come back here :)

    « A Favorite Stay! »

The Best Western Premier was awesome! The three person room was very comfy and they actually had three nice beds instead of a lumpy pull out! The bathroom floor was mildly heated for a delightful bonus and the room and entire hotel just sparkled! The tram had a stop right in front of the hotel so it was so easy to get around Amsterdam. We just looked for the number 2 tram! I missed not having a refrigerator in the room though. Very nice hotel and a great price!!

« Good breakfast, unpersonal computer checkin »

We had booked two double bed rooms for a weekend of two couples. By Taxi the hotel is just 12-15 Minutes away from the Amsterdam Central Station. Checkin is on online terminals, where even the room key card is programmed. It might be practical, economic and modern, but I prefer it the old fashioned way. Mind you, there is an actual front desk - but they ask you to use the checkin computers. The rooms are spacious, with modern design. In our friends room the cables for the tv and lights were not properly hidden so it looked a bit odd - as if someone was too lazy to finish the job properly. The bathrooms got really hot - because there was no air ventilation in them and the spotlights in front of the bathroom mirror will heat you up. There is a rain-showerhead, which is cool (even though it's not mounted straight - again: lack of attention to detail). One major downside: the hotel does not serve alcohol. So far, so good. But in the rooms they don't even have a fridge where you could store even a can of your own. Instead they have little vending machines (where you would expect a little fridge) where you can choose between coke/water/other softdrinks. The bicycle rental is pretty cool. It's about a half hour ride into the city. Along nice canals. I can recommend that over a ticket for public transport. Breakfast is very good with a huge buffet with freshly squeezed oranges (again, a machine ;-) this one is great!). Good beds, tight curtains, good tv and air con in the rooms. My résumé: for this price you can get better hotels if you book early (which we didn't). On the other hand - amsterdam is expensive and this hotel is definitely not terrible to stay in ... If this makes any sense to you... ;-)

« Lovely place to stay »

This is a small hotel from the outside. Transforms when you go in. You have about six kiosks for self check in and check out. You really do not need to engage with the reception for check in. The rooms are fairly big - good enough for two to stay. There is a tram station right outside the hotel which takes you to Amsterdam Cenntral in about 30 minutes. The airport is about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. All in all a good place to stay in with courteous and polite staff.

    « A very good hotel »

My husband and I went to stay in this hotel for my 60th birthday the location is excellent as the trams run from just outside the hotel, the shops in Amsterdam are to die for, the transport services are so great very efficient, we took spending money however a lot of that went on food, overall the hotel ticked all my boxes. And when we go back again I will stay in this hotel again, the bed was very comfy.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

This hotel is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at while traveling in Europe, Great hotel for the price!, Only downside is that the hotel is located a bit out of the city but would definitely recommend this hotel!

« Random location and no alcohol license! »

First to say, this hotel is pretty cheap. However the room was very adequate and good value for the money. But the hotel doesn't have an alcohol license which seems crazy! There was a good Lebanese restaurant down the road but is more of a restaurant than a bar. If they get there license back then it would be rated 5

« Great place to Stay »

This hotel is quite new, clean and the decor is pretty modern. Location was very safe and convenient, though it is a little far from central there are tram and bus stops right outside the hotel which take you to all the tourist spots . Staff was helpful. Our room and bathroom was very spacious, clean and had all necessary amenities. They also had a nespresso machine in the room. We had a great stay overall.

    « A very good hotel »

The hotel was very good, the room was big and nice to relax after walking all day. Espresso machine in the room. Breakfast was very good. Just outside the hotel there is a tram station to city center.

    « Awesome rooms »

Stayed for 3 nights and although not smack bang in the middle of town its only a few minutes walk along the river to the train station which goes directly into town. Room was amazing- big, great view, modern, and it had a coffee pod machine and a mini vending machine! Breakfast was very good and staff were helpful.

Excellent stay with very helpful staff that couldn't do enough for us.Great breakfast and reasonably price plentiful evening meal in the restaurant.Tram stops outside the Hotel which takes 15 minutes to Dam Square.

    « Great hotel »

This is a great hotel situated in a good location. It is well decorated and very clean. We were able to check in early which was great and we used the self check out which was very quick and easy. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel which has the number 2 tram which goes right to Centraal Station. It is around 15 from Dam square. We got a 72 hour ticket which cost 17 euros. The taxi from the airport is around 35 euros. The only slight niggle I had was that we were hoping to get a room service breakfast on our final morning before going to the airport. The welcome book in the room said you can have it between 7 and 11. I called at 7 as we were leaving at 8:30 and they said we couldn't have it as it would take too long to make and we should have ordered it the night before. I have never known this before. Other than this everything was brilliant.

    « Very good hotel »

very good hotel , place 10-15 min with tram no. 2 to the dam station. in the room there are safe air-condition and nespreso machine. the hotel has good gym club and parking that cost 18 euro per day we get a room in the 10 floor and you can see a good view

« Nice new hotel, reasonable price, well connected to city centre with tram line 2 »

The hotel is a modern and comfortable **** hotel Although it seems a bit outside the centre of Amsterdam, the Vondel park is in walking distance and the city centre can be quickly reached by tram The hotel is very affordable for a nice hotel in Amsterdam

    « Large room with a view »

Booked this hotel direct and got a premium room on top floor that was so large and gave us a fantastic view over the city. Breakfast was included in the deal and this was plentiful with a lot of choice. Room was large with a great double shower and bed was very comfortable. Tram 2 stop right outside hotel into city centre. Got a 4 day pass at the airport and this proved valuable for using public transport. Hotel was not in the city but this did not spoil our enjoyment on the 30 minute journey into city. Would recommend to stay.

« Fantastic updated room with a large gym »

Spent a few nights here while traveling on business. I did not use the restaurant but the room amenities were nice, albeit space was tight. Walking distance to many restaurants and a large park for running and exercise The exercise room was pleasantly large with free weights. Internet was quick Booking through TripAdvisor had issues at checkin but from what the Hotel clerk told me its common with their new booking platform

« Definitely would stay there again! »

Very big comfortable room, modern design. Amenities like coffee machine. Free Wi-Fi with good speed. Breakfast was expensive, but it has a discount booking in advance. We did it and found amazing, with great variety. Location a bit far from city center, but it is on a quiet neighborhood and the tram line just in front takes you to the main touristic places from Amsterdam (and has the Centraal as final station).

« Exceptional at what it is »

Back in the states, Best Western is nothing to call home about. But this hotel is amazing! Everything is optimized and works extremely well together. From the moment you walk in and use the automated check in, to arriving in your well appointed room, to checking out just as effortlessly, it's all super smooth. I appreciated the small details of design and comforts in this room. A 4 star experience for sure, and at a great price. It's no surprise they are almost always fully booked. Will be returning on my next trip to Amsterdam! Highly recommended.

« Good out of city hotel »

Hotel location outside city but easily accessible by tram from central station, metro station 5 minute walk away, Hotel clean and welcoming ,good food in restaurant open from 6pm till 11pm, good choice of breakfast, would definitely recommend this hotel

    « A very nice hotel »

A very nice hotel, looks luxurious. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. Located in a quiet area, quite close to the center - Tram line 2 is 20 meters from the hotel, and in 10-15 minutes you get to the center. The beds are very comfortable, more than my own bed at home :) The hotel has free wifi with high bandwidth in the rooms. There's a (very) small shopping center about 300 meters from the hotel, which includes 2 supermarkets - LIDL and Albert Heijn. There was no refrigerator in our room (I don't know if it's like that in all rooms), but they have a large one in the lobby floor where you can put your things (we didn't use it). The shower has a luxurious look, but it may take 3-5 minutes to get hot water there at times.

    « Lovely Hotel »

ROOM Superb! Lovely large comfortable bed. Gorgeous marble bathroom, free wifi, well furnished, large TV, lovely views. LOCATION Good - right next to tram stop (about 20 mins to central Amsterdam) FACILITIES Breakfast nice, there was a bar but it did not serve any alcohol which was a shame AREA Loved Amsterdam, would recommend The Cat Museum and the Ice Bar I would definitely stay here again

    « Great few days »

The room was well set out. everything appeared to be new and there was enough storage for 2 with ease. The bathroom was well finished with a great shower. The espresso machine got hammered with reception more than happy to provide refills. The Hotel has automated check-in but staff on hand if you are not a fan but it was fairly simple process, The staff were always happy to help and always 2 available so no long waits experienced as have done in other hotels. The location was ideal in that it was a short hop from airport without being in flight path, the tram into centre stopped outside and took approx 15 mins to get you into the main attractions and if you turned left when exiting the main doors there was a Lidl and takeaway just around the block meaning breakfast was cheap with fresh fruit/croissants/rolls/meat etc on offer which was preferred option as breakfast at the hotel was a little steep. The hotel can provide a 24hr (or longer) card for public transport that starts when first used so can be used following day that is valid for trams/buses/metro like an oyster card and costs 7.50 per person that is perfect for hopping on/off to explore the city...... Remember to scan onto and off of trams etc or the card assumes you are still on a tram if you forget and will not work on next attempt. The not so good - there are bikes for hire but suggest you look elsewhere as they are very heavy and not in great condition.

« Excellent Hotel, Clean and Modern »

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and found it to be very comfortable and quiet. The appearance of the hotel, room and amenities is modern and clean. It's located outside the city center but conveniently on the Tram #2 line which takes you into the center in about 15-20 minutes. The tram stop is right outside the hotel. Location ensures that you're away from the hectic surroundings and noise of the city but still close enough to it to be convenient. Check-in is automated but there is staff available to guide you through the process. Wi-Fi was free and fast. The room is a good size with a large bathroom and nice sized shower enclosure. We had a corner room with lots of window space and light. The blackout blinds were excellent. The furnishings were modern and in great condition. It had a Nespresso coffee maker with assorted coffee pods for use as well as different teas. The room was very quiet and the king sized bed was comfortable. Breakfast was your standard offerings of cereals, breads, sweets, juices, and hot selections of scrambled eggs and bacon, sausage. It was well stocked and plenty of space for sitting. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed what the hotel had to offer, we would definitely stay here again.

    « Great hotel »

Stayed in this hotel for 5 nights with 2 mates and couldn't fault it. We arrived at around 10am and were able to check in straight away. Room was clean and modern with TV and wifi. Tram stop literally outside the front door, tram 2 took you to Central station in about 15-20 mins and run about every 20 mins, last one coming back from Central about 12:15am. Breakfast was really good with loads of variety but sometimes some of the things were left empty for a while before being refilled. Other than that spot on, would definitely stay again.

« Lovely hotel - Great for access to city »

Initially I was a bit worried when I booked the hotel that it was too far from the main attractions, but failing to find another more suitable, I went with my 1st choice. I have to say that I am glad I did. A short ride from the airport by shuttle bus, the hotel is in a residential area with a Lidl & Albert Heijn supermarket just around the corner. There is also a Chinese restaurant at this shopping complex. Check in was quick. The room was lovely, modern & clean with mini bar & tea/coffee making facilities. There was only herbal teas available, tho I'm sure if I had asked I could have got English breakfast tea, but I wasn't too bothered. There's no fridge, but the bottom of the mini bar vending machine does have a drawer that you can keep drinks cold in. The tap water in the room is also suitable for drinking. I was staying in a twin room on the 4th floor overlooking the car park. The hotel was very quiet, I did not hear noise from any other guests or the road/trams running outside the hotel. Plenty of sightseeing brochures & discount vouchers in the lobby with self service check in facilities/ bar and computer terminals. Breakfast was available for a surcharge, which we chose not to have. We were able to buy tram tickets from the hotel reception which enable you to travel on buses/trams all day. The journey to the main attractions takes 15-20 mins depending on the time of day. I think I would prefer this option if I was to go back to Amsterdam than staying in the hustle & bustle of the city centre. I would recommend this hotel for value, location, cleanliness & comfort.

« Clean Modern and Secure »

Excellent hotel in a city full of tourist. Nice to be away from the noisy nightlife in this peaceful haven of a hotel. Ultra modern and secure. Highly recommend. A little out of the city, but easy to get to via public transport. Late night will require taxis or bikes.

« Great hotel with friendly staff and great facilities »

I stayed in this hotel for three nights in June as part of a trip across Europe. We had a twin room and the room was very spacious for two people. The bathroom was modern and clean and the hotel supplied toiletries. The restaurant had good food and was reasonably priced. There is also a fitness room with some cardio equipment and weight machines. There is a tram stop right outside and it takes about 15/20 minutes to get into the city centre. Would definitely stay here again next time I am in Amsterdam.

    4
« Great hotel not far from City Center »

Clean, comfortable, modern rooms. Nice location...quiet, but not far from City Center..The tram (#2) is right outside of the hotel and very easy to navigate. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the attitude of the staff. With the exception of Joann and another gentleman, the staff is not very friendly. No greeting upon check-in and it seemed like it was an effort for them to answer any questions. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

« On the edge but not out of touch. »

My two sisters and I spent a really lovely long weekend in Amsterdam from the 11-14th June, and we used this hotel as a base. I had read reviews of this hotel before we booked, and as the only downside seemed to be the lack of a bar, we went with it. The hotel is situated in what I would call the suburbs of Amsterdam, but despite this, getting to the center of Amsterdam is as easy as jumping on a No. 2 tram which stops outside the hotel every 15 minutes. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes, and if you get a multi journey ticket, just a case of hop on and hop off. The hotel itself was wonderful, a lovely clean modern reception area, with self check-in facilities. If you are like us, a bit backward with computers, there are staff in the coffee area who will help with check in if required. We each had a room to ourselves, our own preference, and each room was spotless, fresh and modern. One of my sisters got a room on a corner and it seemed at least twice the size of the other two rooms, but even these rooms were large. The en-suite shower rooms were to die for!!! We booked B&B, and breakfast didn't disappoint. Every kind of breakfast was available, with buffet style hot and cold food, several breads, cereals, fruits, tea, juice, and coffee, and much more. You could have an evening meal when the restaurant opened at around six o'clock which you would pay for separately. The staff were helpful and pleasant at all times, and nothing was too much trouble to them. It was really nice to be greeted with a smile each time we spoke to or even just passed a member of staff. All-in-all staying at this hotel went well towards a vey pleasurable break in Amsterdam and we would here again in a heart beat!!

    « Could be better »

On the plus side, the hotel is modern and nicely decorated, our room was impeccably clean, there was a coffee machine and also a set of toiletries in the bathroom. On the minus side, service was pretty blunt. There are computers where you are supposed to check in on your own but since in our case it was not functioning a receptionist did help us but was not especially nice. Same with employees once we stored our luggage for a couple of hours and had breakfast. Speaking of which it was very basic and did not stand out with anything other than fresh bread and orange juice. Also, many mention in their reviews, which I consulted beforehand, that the location is perfect; however, it takes at least half an hour to get to the central station by tram. So not that perfect to me. Last but not the least, I requested a room with a view in advance, depending on the availability of course, but we got 4th floor (out of 12 or so) and a view on a parking lot instead... which I cannot complain about as such but still... All in all, I expected more from a 4-star hotel and for the price.

    4
« Great alternative to staying in the city center »

Excellent quality hotel. Very clean and air-conditioning works well. The number 2 tram line is right outside the hotel connecting you to the main city attractions in 15 minutes. There is really not much near the hotel if you are looking for bars and restaurants but the close proximity to the city with the tram overcomes that.

    3
    « Value for Money »

Hotel is 25- 30 Mins Tram ride from the city Centre. Museum area fall in between and will take you around 15 mins to reach that area. Rooms are decent, clean and noise proof. You can get a tram to the hotel ( stop is just opposite the hotel ) till lat night. Frequency is after every 6- 7 mins. They have a common reception and cafe. They don't alcohol in view of approval which is awaited. Checkin was ok, I had to come again in evening because checkin time is around 3 PM.

    5
« Comfort, space, tranquility, in a good location and with a great breakfast »

Despite being located in an avenue, the rooms are very silent. There is a tram stop in front of the hotel, in 15 minutes you are downtown. Room has plenty of space, bed is very comfortable. You can prepare your own espresso in the room. Self service check-in, easy and efficient. Breakfast is great, lot of options ! We also had dinner one night and the food was delicious! Wifi was excellent.

    « Excellent hotel »

This is a stylish 4 star hotel. It is in a quiet area of the city, with a tram stop at the door. We were in the centre of the city in about 15 minutes. The hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Our room was large with a large bed, large flat screen TV, minibar, safe, large dressing table/ work surface, hostess tray, coffee maker, ironing board and iron. There was a small table and 3 chairs were provided. Dressing gown and slippers also. There was a rain water shower and also a hand held shower in the large shower room, which had a large work top. Toiletries and hairdryer were provided. The lighting was excellent in bedroom and shower room. The hotel has free wifi throughout. The reception area is stylish and comfortable with layered lighting. If I was going back to Amsterdam, I would stay at this hotel.

    « Typically Best Western »

Another excellent Best Western property. Located quite far from the happening areas of Amsterdam may be the only negative, otherwise the rooms are very modern and well-furnished. Overall, a very good experience.

    3
« Fairly nice but a little disappointing »

This Best Western had a very nice room, and everything seemed new and was immaculately clean. The room was spacious for Europe. However, our mini fridge was not working, the hotel cannot (at this time) serve wine, beer or liquor, and the food in the restaurant was just "acceptable." Additionally, the hotel is outside what are considered the boundaries of Amsterdam. Happily the tram is just outside the hotel, so transportation is fairly easy, but it does take 35 minutes to get to the Central Station. One good thing is that Museum Square can be reached directly on this tram line and is about halfway to the Central Station (18 minutes). The taxi ride to the airport is about $32.00 USD. The staff are helpful when you finally get their attention, but do not acknowledge your presence if they are working on something else. In all, it was okay, but not great.

    4
« Good hotel and quite good location »

The hotel seems to be quite new. We had a nice and quite big room, the beds and pillows where great and also the breakfast. Because of the Tram station right outside of the hotel and going directly towards the museum district, city center and also central station, it was also very well located. We will definitely be back!

    5
    « Amazing hotel! »

I could not fault this hotel one bit! The rooms are immaculate, the breakfast is amazing! The TV's had English channels and English plugs were in the rooms which were a bonus as I didn't take an adaptor! Right outside a tram stop that takes you every where you need too go, we got the pass from the hotel too get into the city, takes about 10/15 minutes! Did not hear any traffic from the outside which was amazing! Will be staying here again! Amazing place!

    5
    « Satisfied with location! »

The hotel is very accessible, not within Amsterdam Central but just a few minutes away through use of tram as it stops right in front of the hotel. You can purchase the tram pass at the concierge. The hotel is clean with comfortable bed/pillows and situated in a quiet and safe area of Amsterdam. However, there's no restaurant or convenience store nearby which didn't bother us at all since most of the time we're out and within the city central. It is also near the airport & took us less than 15mins. via cab. Will definitely consider staying in this hotel again. The only downside that we encountered was the way the receptionist assisted us upon arrival. I inquired if there's any available phone charger outlet that I can use since our room was not available yet when we arrived and she was not aware of the locations of the usb power chargers. Had to discover it myself and didn't feel that she was willing to help. Likewise, requested for a bucket of ice one night as there's no available refrigerator in the room and was told that I have to go down the reception area since there's no one to bring it up. I find it odd and that was the first time that I encountered such response out of the various hotels that I've stayed in different countries that I visited.

    - good location, the tram line 2 stops right in front of the hotel and takes you to the city center in 15-20 minutes & is also close to the airport, 10-15 minutes with a taxi which costs 35€ - friendly & helpful staff, also no waiting time at the reception luckily although it was sometimes really crowded - really nice & spacious rooms, it even has a Nespresso Machine included! - supermarket 'Lidl' is only a few minutes walking distance away (5 minutes approx.) in case you need anything - reall good value for money!!

Comfortable, clean, wide, safe american style hotel near by Metro and Tram. You can go there around 20 min from Central station by Tram line No 2. And from the hotel, you can go convention center by Metro directly. There were no restaurant around there, but you can go to supermarket near by Hotel (2 min walk). Good for business trip.

    « nice break away.. »

I wasn't sure where to book when looking up hotels for amsterdam. I booked this one as the reviews were good. it was a very pleasant stay. easy access to the city center via the tram stop outside hotel, although from airport there is no direct tram or bus to this hotel best option is to take train to central station and then get tram straight out to hotel. this will cost alot less than € 40 taxi fare from airport to hotel...

    « Great rooms »

Absolutely great rooms but not a cosy hotel and the surrounding area is horrible. Hardly possible to find a proper restaurant in the area but if you like staying close to Ring 1 then ok. Possible to get on the tram just outside the hotel which will take you to city center in approx 15 min.

    5
    « Contemporary Hotel »

very euro modern! there was no alcohol license in the bar. There is a tram access infront of the hotel to get anywhere downtown amsterdam. The shuttle to the airport is bogus. There are no late night food or drink options in the immediate area.

    « Perfect hotel - Perfect trip! »

Me and my friends have just stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend. Arrived Saturday and left Monday evening. I have to say the whole experience was brilliant. We arrived in Amsterdam at around 9 and thought we were best heading straight to the hotel just in case, we must have arrived around half ten/ eleven (After taking a couple of wrong turns) and the hotel was able to check us n straight away. This was exactly what we needed after the journey to get to the hotel and the early morning flight. The room was small but it had enough space of the 3 of us so can't really complain, there was 3 of us and we were able to get 3 proper beds. Not like a double bed and a couch or something like that, we tend to go away together and this is the first time in a while we have all had our own bed! The bathroom was excellent, the shower was amazing! Three was plenty of space and nothing to complain about with the bathroom. There was a safe in the room as well and it was really easy to use, as well as an iron board and iron which we did in fact use. One of the best parts was the smart TV! So when we were shattered after a long day we came home and watched Netflix with a cup of coffee from the fancy coffee machine which also comes in every room! Breakfast was great, plenty of options and everything I had ? except the eggs but you can't really win with eggs ? was great. My friends agreed as well because we were able to each morning have a very fulfilling meal. Love the breakfast cakes as well, only tiny but enough for that sweet treat in the morning. And they also did good ol' fashion crispy bacon, as well as freshly squeezed orange juice. We were definitely well fed for a morning meal which meant we didn't need to worry too much about lunch! Our flight home wasn't till late so we checked to see if we could get a late check out, the latest was 3PM which didn't work for us but it was available. However the hotel has a really secure bag room, they marked each of our bags and we have to hand in a slip of paper that matches up to get them back. As well only the staff have a key so people can't just wander in. So even a great experience checking out to be honest! I can't recommend this hotel enough, it was perfect for us and we had no issues, we were on the first floor and never heard any noise from outside and it's actually not that far from the airport. There is a tram stop right outside so I recommend using that to get into the city centre, I also recommend buying a 1, 2 or 3 day travel card, it's a LOT cheaper than paying each time and we used the trams and metros a lot. The city is gorgeous and this is the perfect spot to stay. I can't thank them enough!

« Ticked all the boxes »

This was a perfect hotel for our two night stay in Amsterdam. Completely renovated the large, modern rooms and bathroom were excellent. Nice large bed, very comfortable and a great hot shower. All the necessary toiletries were provided including an in-room coffee maker. The wifi was excellent. Travelling from Australia it was our first stop after a very long journey so we appreciated arriving to friendly staff and a great room. The tram stop is literally right outside the hotel and only takes about 15-20 minutes to get to central station. It's a good ride allowing you to see the busy Amsterdam city. Other reviews are negative towards the breakfast, however we found it to be excellent and plentiful. The choice of hot and cold including pastries was extensive, providing us with a good meal to start the day. In fact it was the best breakfast of all the places we stayed in the Netherlands. Our only regret is that we didn't stay another night or two. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Location plus! »

Just the best location with the number 2 tram stop right at the front door. Very comfortable rooms with excellent facilities even a coffee maker in the room. Plenty of choice in the breakfast buffet and after a busy day sightseeing it was great to have a tasty meal in the restaurant. We would stay here again.

    « Perfect location!! »

First you can get a shuttle from the airport which is very convenient. This was one of the best sleeps I have had a hotel, because the rooms are big and so is the bed. The rooms are new, very clean, quiet and staff are super friendly. The tram stops right outside the hotel and takes five minutes to downtown. Great restaurants at many of the stops before downtown that are better quality and better prices.

    « "Super Hotel" »

10 steps out the front door you could get the Tram, around the corner is a store ,coffee in the room free, don't like room service can have food delivered, nice breakfast, several languages spoken and just an all around nice place to stay and relatively inexpensive!

    « Great stay! »

A brilliant hotel which has an excellent connection to the number 2 team which stops outside the hotel. The rooms are modern and clean and the staff were helpful and spoke great English. The breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. Free wifi and free printing which was great for printing our boarding passes. We walked 10 mins from the hotel to the train station and got the express train to schipol airport. From leaving the hotel to being in the airport was 20 mins. I'd highly recommend!

    « Fantastic Hotel »

This was our last stop after two months in Europe and it was one of the best hotels we stayed in. The service was second to none, the room was brand new, huge and so clean. The bathroom were fantastic! Although it's slightly out of the centre of Amsterdam, it doesn't matter as the tram stops out the front and the railway staiton is only a short walk away. Can't speak highly enough of this hotel.

« Are you looking for a great location to stay in Amsterdam »

This hotel is in great location near Tram 2 15mins from centre, its spotless and great views from upper floors and what a great breakfast and of course good value. Also book direct with hotel as they are cheaper than online companies

« Probably one of the best options at Amsterdam »

Our stay at this hotel was better than expected. To be honest, it was more than good. The hotel has everything you need: it is very clean, modern, very quiet (no noise at all), nice views from the rooms, free WIFI, friendly and polite staff, etc. The only inconvenient could be the fact that it is a bit far away from the center of the City but it is not finally a problem since you have a train stop just in front of the main door. Taking the train (nº2), you can reach the center of the City (Dam Square) in just 15 minutes. The round trip is around 7 euro? if I do not remember wrong and you even can take the tickets as much in the train as in the Hotel´s reception. The breakfast is very good as well. In short: very recommendable hotel and probably the best option, especially if we consider the economic issue? Congratulations to the Hotel and its staff!!!

    « Great hotel »

I highly recommend this hotel, worth every penny. Great location- 7 minutes on the tram to the dam square. The tram stop is just outside the hotel. The hotel staff were really helpful and sorted out a tram map and tickets for us. We got a taxi from the airport(very expensive-47 euros!) so would advise the train which is underground in the airport. We arrived late and didn't book anything so had no choice. We got the train on the way back (only 3 euros each!). The train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, it's not hard to find either. Hotel is super clean- rooms lovely and big, modern and everything you want inside. Breakfast basic but nice. Hotel staff all very helpful and friendly- some more than others. Only down point- No alcohol is sold in the bar.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 days.Nice, neat and spacious rooms .Check in was very fast by Laudy. She was excellent to help us in all our questions to see the city around, and our trip to Antwerp !!Breafast was good, especially the fresh orange juice.Though located far from city centre, but tram no2 outside the hotel takes you to Central station in 20 minutes !!Good place to stay !!

    « Great! »

Such a nice hotel; lovely staff, great breakfast, yummy dinner (not pricey either!) comfortable beds, just an overall pleasant stay :D. Tram stops right outside the hotel, so getting to places is rather easy.

    « Second time I stayed and again...great! »

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel and once again the stay was fantastic. The only thing I would say is that they had a gentleman on the check in desk who seemed incredibly disinterested in life in general which was a real shame as we were in great spirits and would have enjoyed some friendly conversation.

    « Fantastic Trip »

We decided to book this hotel and stayed over the Valentines Day weekend, was exactly as the pictures if not better..Modern, clean and functional hotel with friendly staff. The location of the hotel although a fair distance from the centre is very easy accessible via the tram link that stops directly outside and run on a very regular basis. All in all a fantastic stay and would most definitely come back

    « Great Hotel »

Stayed here for 3 nights, our first trip to Amsterdam. It might be a bit out of the city, but is has excellent tram service. Using the tram in and out of the city, we were able to have a look at other districts, which we did. We ate out in Restaurants we would never have found without the tram service. One tip though, if you are going, do not use the Airport taxi's to get there, either pre-book or use the train then tram. We were ripped off when we arrived, however, the Hotel booked us a Taxi for our return and the cost was very reasonable. The breakfast in the Hotel was varied and plentiful, the rooms are very clean and spacious.

« Easily accessible and value for money »

Great hotel! Tram stop to central Amsterdam is just at the doorstep. The hotel is quite new and the room is quite spacious. There is a Nespresso machine in the room and they restocked the coffee everyday.

    4
« New facilities and clean room »

A little bit far away from the city center, but with very new facilities and the room is quite clean. Nothing could be complained, they also provide some free capsules for a very great professional Nespresso machine, which means a lot if you like need good coffee everyday.

« New, clean, quiet hotel »

Booked a room two nights based on the review on Trip Advisor. Happy I did! While it is not in the center of town, the tram station is right outside the hotel, making transport very easy in/out of the center. About 20 minutes each way. The hotel itself looks quite new. Upon check in there were a few computers set up where you check in yourself - very easy and practical! We were done with the check out process in 2 minutes. The room was very clean and spacious, which is why we booked it as our previous rooms in Amsterdam center were quite small and older. The bathroom was very large, with a nice shower. I had emailed the hotel a week before the stay and asked for a very quiet room which they accommodated. The room was very quiet and we heard no street noise nor any hallway noise. Very peaceful sleep on comfortable beds and clean new sheets. We had an instance where the TV wasn't working and the A/C unit was a bit off - when I called the front desk someone was at our door within a couple minutes. Lovely staff, very sweet and kind. One girl in particular but I cannot remember her name- maybe Janine? She was from S. America if I recall. This really made our stay very pleasant! I highly recommend this hotel that was extremely reasonably priced, well placed with public transport, clean, quiet and excellent service for anyone looking for a great experience.

« A great stay with excellent accimidation »

Outside the city center but tram number 2 stops right outside of the hotel and you are in the city in 20 minutes, advantage is that tram 2 stops directly in the museum district, main entertaining area and the flower market. Parking on site and daily rate allows you to enter as many times as you like. Great rooms, we had a nice city view. Only downturn is that the hotel had not received alcohol license and could not serve alcoholic drinks. Close to supermarket and plenty of places to eat within walking district, we had tram pass so just five minutes to good restaurants and bars. Recommended.

    « Stylish Comfort »

First of all, I arrived early morning from a long flight from New Zealand and I had a tour to get to. It was also raining. The hotel is very easy to get to rom Schipol and the tram is on the front steps. The staff immediately offered to let me book in and off load. They guided me through all the travails of getting to know public transport. The location is very quiet and the room was very spacious.

« One of the best hotel I've stayed at »

We atayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre but tram station is just outside the hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Free wifi with good internet speeds. A bit disappointed that they don't have laundry facilities. They only have a laundry service which is expensive.

    « Thanks Joanne »

As every 2 weeks, I booked at Best Western Premier Couture in Amsterdam. Located very close to my office, this hotel is modern, nicely decorated, quite massive though still human. Wide rooms, big TV, Nespresso coffee machine in the room. I thank Joanne in particular, as my check-in is always the best when she handles me. It's fast. She's smiling. She warns me about the room. She really is part of the general "good service" experience.

    « Delightful »

The hotel is a little outside the city center of Amsterdam, but tram is nearby. Hotel room was clean ,quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

    4
« Good standard of hotel »

Stayed 2 nights here when visiting Amsterdam. We chose this hotel because of the good transport links, and the good value room rates. The hotel itself is not in the centre, but this was a positive for us as it was peaceful location. Check in was flawless using the self check in machines. Room was spacious with nice views. The bathroom was particularly good - lots of room, a great power shower, and lovely heated flooring Breakfast was decent, although it did get a little crowded, with lots of irritating people pushing in front, but the selection of food was very good. The only thing that would be useful in the room is a fridge or mini bar. I would happily pay to rent one, but this is simply not available. Overall, if visiting Amsterdam, I would stay here again if there was a good deal on the room rates. Transport links to and from the airport and centre of Amsterdam were excellent.

    4
« Great location for Amsterdam trips »

Tram line 2 right in front an 17 just max 10min walking distance. Rooms on top floor big, bathroom modern and overall clean (apart from loong black hairs on the sheets first day) and although right at the motorway thanks to noise-reduction windows still quiet (when shut). We did not have breakfast, couple of good and cheaper alternatives in max 15min walking distance. Good value for money, would go again.

    3
« Good hotel in unattractive neighborhood »

Well outisde the city center in an unattractive neighborhood. The hotel serves no alcohol, so bring your own or buy your own at the supermarket nearby. Restaurants nearby are unattractive either. Chinees opposite is bad. The hotel is not bad at all.. Beds are excellent and rooms are good. Also. parking in hotel garage is fine (15€).

    3
« Functional and useful hotel »

The hotel is a large, standard, comfortable, modern hotel a 25 minute tram ride from the centre. The stops are immediately outside. On arrival we took the train from the Airport to Central Station and No2 tram to the hotel, about a 45 minute journey. The surrounding area did not appear to offer much in the way of facilities but, as we spent most of our time in the city, this didn't matter. The buffet breakfast was a useful start to the day!

    5
« Good Location with Comfortable Room »

We were little apprehensive when booking this hotel since it seems little far from city center on the map but suited my budget, but trust me I'm really glad we booked this hotel. Hotel is just 20 min from airport via Train + Metro and is in a quiet neighborhood, Reception staff was really courteous and checked us in without any hassle. Room was spacious with comfortable bed. Bathroom was quite spacious with heated flooring, good quality toiletries and high quality fittings. Free High Speed wifi connectivity and Nespresso machine in room were great convenience. Frankly proximity to tram makes this hotel as an ideal base location. Best part I liked was the connectivity to city center via Tram 2, its right opposite the hotel and get you to city center within 20 mins and run until quite late in night. Hotel also offer rental bikes at decent rates if you are in a mood for stretching your legs. The buffet breakfast spread was excellent with fresh juices and good quality coffee, they even had a fresh orange juice extractor at your disposal. Overall a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this property.

« Overall pleased with experience »

This was a new hotel for me, chosen because of cost and ease for getting to and from train station. Some communication mix up on arrival as one room offered rather than two, but that was down to language slip up not a hotel error. Very speedily sorted by staff member on duty. She informed us that hotel was fully booked and advised time to avoid breakfast next day as it would be busy. We were given free upgrades so in a lovely big room. Excellent bathroom (shower only but that suited me perfectly, my friend would have liked a bath tub). Room had everything needed, although the promised bathrobe was nowhere to be found. Bed comfortable but a few marks on the bedsheets which really should have been noticed. Hotel is south of Amsterdam central but easy to get to from airport via train-first stop before Amsterdam Central station (make sure you are not on a city express otherwise it wont stop). If you download a map in advance you will be able to walk form station to hotel. A very easy walk of 10 mins perfectly Ok even with a suitcase. Otherwise there is a bus. Also tram stop outside number 2 takes about 15 mins to centre. Nice trip through the suburbs. Very convenient stop for Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. Hotel has main roads around two sides, so no views really. Noise was not an issue. Breakfast I found was the usual hot and cold choices and somewhat processed. Pity there was not a choice of nice Dutch cheeses. My pet hate of coffee from a machine. Proper coffee please for a 4 star hotel. Took a bit of time replenishing items but the staff were all busy. Very friendly and helpful staff and if anyone has read my previous reviews I am pleased to say the arrival staff member smiled and we were asked if everything had been alright on leaving. We felt like valued customers.

    « Lovely hotel »

Stayed here for a couple of days with my boyfriend after receiving a recommendation from a colleague. For a reasonably priced hotel this place is wonderful, cannot fault it at all. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff are polite and helpful and there is a tram stop right outside which takes you to Amsterdam Centraal. There is also Amsterdam Lelylaan station is an easy 10 min walk away and is convenient for the airport. Be careful at the airport if you're getting a cab - we were led away by a guy in a suit offering cabs, luckily an airport worker outside spotted this and took us to the official taxi rank. Although I'd recommend just getting the train - cab cost us 35 euros and its only about 15 mins drive, if we'd known how close Lelyaan was we would have definitely jumped on the train. Beware on a Sunday though if you're buying tickets from Lelyaan they don't have anyone working in the station and the machines only take coins!

    « Top Hotel »

I booked this hotel based upon the cost and its location. This hotel will not be to everyone's taste due to its location. Set in a quite suburb in sout-east Amsterdam, easy to access being 12 mins from the airport without having to go into the centre (check travel Amsterdam travel app and maps for route), #2 tram stops right outside the hotel giving you a 10-15min ride to Dam Sq/Museum Quarter, 20mins to/from central station (traffic dependant) and plenty of opportunity to connect to other tram routes. Ideal to base yourself from. We were able to check in with ease at 10am so this was a great start to our trip. Rooms were clean and very comfortable (the best nights sleep I've had in a hotel) and extremely quiet; no noise from AC or other door along the corridor and the decor is both modern and funky and the 3 pin plug socket is a useful addition to the room just in case you forget a travel adapter. Breakfast provides plenty of choice and is constantly being refreshed giving you a great start to the day (TIP - go for it included in room rate or book to get reduced rate as €15 may disappoint), and the gym is basic but free if you wish to use. The best assets to this hotel is the staff 5*. Great communication pre visit, reception were helpful, professional and efficient at check in & out (no hassle), provided addition coffee pods/tea bags and milk, assisted with information/questions; breakfast staff polite and effective, house keeping thorough and discreet. We were able to securely store our bags on day of departure in the storage room. The hotel in room information book says one day The Best Western Premier Hotel Couture wants to be the best in the city, well you are on the way there. If we come to Amsterdam again this hotel will be a first pick, and recommended to anyone whom I hear are coming to the city. Thank you

Very modern and up to date. Across the street from tram station (line 2) which makes it convenient to downtown Printed hotel key ourselves at kiosk with self checking. Good breakfast buffet. Staff stored our luggage after checkout. Not too far from airport.

Spent 2 nights in May 2016. Room was large, bed comfortable, luxury linens, heated bathroom floor. Very relaxing stay. Breakfast buffet was extensive. Loved the machine that made fresh squeezed orange juice as you watched. The tram stopped just outside the door.

« Good Hotel, Good Location »

We chose hotel because of its reasonable price and good reviews and were pleased with our choice. This is a modern hotel in a quiet location, it's located in a recently developed area on the outskirts of Amsterdam but is very close to the stop for Tram No. 2 and also a bus stop. We didn't use the bus but found Tram No. 2 to be very convenient. It runs frequently, going to Centraal Station via the museum quarter and Dam Square. The hotel staff are friendly and quick to help with the self service check-in and with information. Our room was well equipped, clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our 5 day stay. It's a hotel that we'd be happy to use again and recommend to others. TIP. We got a better rate by booking on the hotel's own website rather than using the Best Western or other booking sites.

    « Amazing Hotel »

This hotel is a perfect base for couples wanting to expore Amsterdam, its outside the centre but easily accessible via number 2 tram. The hotel is clean modern and very friendly, with free wifi. The rooms have coffee machines and spacious with lovely bathrooms. Would definately recommend this hotel and amteram to anyone wanting a short break and we will definately be back

« Badly organised breakfast, dreadful check in and check out »

As a best western this hotel is not the worst! The positives, the room was very comfortable, the bed was good - I had a great nights sleep. The room was quiet despite being beside the lift and the shower is very good, when there is hot water! The negatives 6.30 pm no hot water, so I had to have a lukewarm shower. It was fine next morning. So only shower in the morning. Secondly breakfast is a bun fight! Queues for coffee, queues for orange juice, badly laid out configuration with things in corners, so queues to get food hidden in corners. Not enough cutlery. Having battled through all this and got a table I had worked my way halfway through breakfast when I decided I wanted something else from the buffet. I left fruit, coffee , orange juice on the table to get it, came back and everything was gone so is had to queue all over again and start collecting breakfast again. So frustrating. But the biggest no no for this hotel is their check in check out system which is dreadful and completely customer unfriendly. It took me about 15 minutes to check out. I had an extra charge it asked me did I accept it without showing me what it was. The system takes ages (at least 4 or 5 minutes) to change screens. It is absolutely terrible. You completely need to leave 15 to 20 minutes to check out and in. My colleague had changed his booking and that was now classified as two bookings. Absolutely nightmare. Avoid the hotel if you like efficiency. Also not a good location, so not somewhere you can walk around.

    « great hotel »

loved this hotel its very stylish we had a bedroom on the 10th floor. nice size modern shower and has a kenco machine flat screen tv iron ironing board and hair-dryer. we had a nice view from the bedroom. The only drawback for me was the bed it was a very big bed but was hard and uncomfortable. It is a bit out of the main centre but the tram stops right outside the hotel and goes right through the city to the central station.we had breakfast there and found that we had lots to chose from. it was buffet style.you can fill up for the day and not need to eat until later. The staff were all very helpful and polite Its very clean has the internet and a gym.One thing it doesn't have at the moment is a bar but will have soon If you are not worried about being a bit out of the centre then you will certainly enjoy staying here

    « EXCELLENT PLACE,AMAZING HOSPITALITY,GOOD LOCATION »

I booked this place looking at the positive reviews from fellow travellers on Tripadvisor. We were alloted a room in minutes as soon as we checked in.The rooms are cosy and spacious. The front office staff especially Mr Agni was very polite and helpful. They even helped us order Pizza from outside when we demanded food when their restaurant was closed. Now for the location. We had a drop to the hotel in our package ,so reached hotel directly from schipol airport. There is a Tram service to the main city every 15 minutes which takes you to central and all Museums and attractions. The trams are Much Better than the HOP On and Hop off bus services available from central. The trams run well past midnight and it is absolutely safe to return at late hours from the other attractions to the hotel. There is also a Metro Station and A Train station at walking distance from the hotel, just in case one wants to go to other places too..A LIDL store ,a turkish Restaurant and chinese restaurant besides an ATM are within walking distance from the hotel. The Food at the hotel is Top class, not to mention the useful Room Nespresso Machine. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for all tourist including Indians.

    « Lovely hotel »

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. The service was excellent and the location is great, it's quiet as you are outside the main city centre but you are right next to the tram and the motor Way.

« Great stay lovely staff! »

Stayed in March of this year and couldn't have picked a better hotel. Very stylish lobby area with gorgeously refurbished bedrooms, all very modern. The standard room was very like an executive room in other hotels, if not better. One of the best four stars I've stayed in. Jenny on the front desk was very friendly and accommodating and gave us an umbrella when it was raining! Brilliant service.

« Out of city centre but ticks every other box. »

If you are a party animal and are visiting amsterdam for its wild night life this hotel is not for you. If you, like me are visiting amsterdam to tour and experience the culture then best western premier couture is perfect. Although not in the city centre, a ride along the train from central station to lelylaan station is about max 15min. A tram can then be taken to dekinderen straat which is the first stop from lelylaan and then a 15min slow walk on a straight road to the hotel. We only did this trip twice a day. Leaving the hotel and then returning in the night. We were still able to experience the night life of amsterdam but got back around midnight which suited us fine as we are more interested in touristy stuff rather than getting home at early hours of the morning and then sleeping half the day. The hotel would have gotten a 5 star if not for the location but in Amsterdam it is impossible to get a clean livable hotel in the city centre for less than R6000 a night. Other than location this is equivalent to a South African 4 star. It's new, modern, has a Nespresso machine and is luxurious. Staff are friendly. Just a short walk down the road one and stop at one of the many cafes or restaurants to get something to eat if not eating in the city centre. It is also quite close to schipol airport. Amazing hotel for the price we paid.

« Too far from city centre »

Hotel was lovely and clean, very modern. Room and bathroom were big and the shower is amazing. The website says its 10-15 mins by tram to the centre, more like 30, which is disappointing. But the tram #2 stops right outside. Day staff were friendly and helpful, night staff not so much. They completely ignore.

    « really good hotel »

this hotel is excellent, big rooms, really great equipt. location is also good, tram station is by hotel an with tram (2) you can go direct to the central station. breakfest is average. my only complain is regarding hot water in the bathroom, it was not always available, in three day stay two times there was no hot water ( 6.45 am and 5 pm).

    « Amazing »

I stayed here in February with my boyfriend, I was abit apprehensive at first, but oh my what a surprise. I've never had a more comfortable stay, coming back in August and bringing my family! I highly recommend this wonderful hotel. Easy to get to, easy to get around Amsterdam with the tram right outside, there are Handy takeaways and a Lidl just around the corner, and also a great metro to get to the airport for when you are coming and going, the rooms are beautiful, the bathroom is the most luxurious thing I've ever seen, the only downside I would say is the breakfast price, €15 a day seems a bit pricey to me but other than that it was great. The staff was extremely helpful in explaining the tram tickets and how to get to and from places ?? and for the price, it's a wonderful all round hotel

« Comfortable and quiet stay »

Check-in was easy and was accomplished via a kiosk when you walk into the lobby. We had an issue with the room we were given and the staff rectified it immediately. The room was cozy...the bathroom had heated floors and slippers were provided as well as a Nespresso machine. One big plus is that the room was a true double bed, as opposed to 2 single mattress pushed together. We didn't avail of the restaurant. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Amsterdam.

Well appointed, quiet rooms, excellent breakfast and attentive staff. Ample parking at 15€ per day. Tram stops right outside but allow 30 minutes to Dam Square. Dinner service but no alcohol licence and no bar so may not suit everyone.

Beautiful hotel. Very Clean.rooms are modern and spacious. With complimentary tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast buffet had a good tasty spread. Excellent location- the tram stops right in from of the hotel . Hotel staff are very helpful. Highly recommend.

    « Lovely hotel »

Recently stayed here for two nights on a city break. Very impressed with the hotel and the staff who couldn't do enough for you. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Powerful shower and heating in the room. Only downside was the Nepresso machine didn't work, but this is only a minor thing. The hotel is quite far out of the city centre, but is easily reached by the number 2 tram which stops right outside the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

« Modern, great hotel next to tram station »

This hotel is relatively new built and located around 15 minutes by tram from the city. The tram station is situated next to the hotel. The hotel offers international four-star-quality. I liked the stylish dark colours of the room. Breakfast contained everything for a good start to a city trip. Check-in was professional. Great hotel for a trip to this amazing, bustling city.

« Great Value for Money »

Amazing!!! Is the word I would use to describe this hotel. The decor, the staff, cleanliness, price was all on point. Definitely hoping to stay again! Hotel was about 20 mins from town and about 30 min from the airport but that didn't bother me. Also paid change 2 use public transport which lasted 3 days. Great hotel!!

    « Best Western »

Booked this hotel at very short noticed and was pleasantly surprised , the hotel was a bit out of the way from Amsterdam centre, about 20 mins to Central Station, but it had an excellent tram service just outside the hotel, very handy. The hotel room was very clean.

« Lovely hotel, Poor customer service »

The hotel itself is lovely and modern. The rooms are clean and the bathroom has a decent hot shower! However customer service is poor, we stood for 15 minutes at the front desk just to be ignored by 2 members of staff who didn't even acknowledge our existence (these were night staff) also our safe broke but the member of staff sent up insisted we must have the wrong code when we definitely didn't - this never got fixed. Tea/Coffee, water and the towels used were also rarely replaced and the bar downstairs barely sells anything.

    « Amazing »

Modern hotel. Spotlessly clean. Polite and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious. Comfortable beds, mini fridge, lots of storage and a nice shower. Gym and Games Room (we played pool every evening). LIDL and another super market just around the corner. Stored our luggage for us. Breakfast was average and very expensive. Although, the bacon was amazing. Tram Stop right outside the hotel. Takes about 20 mins to get to Dam Square. We bought 96 hour tram passes for 21.50 each, bargain! Should I visit Amsterdam again, I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for a really nice stay.

    « Lovely »

I have had two really good stays at this hotel now. The hotel is fairly luxury and has everything that you need. The beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms are large. We had room service one night the food was really good and presented nicely, at a reasonable cost. I would definitely return for the third time.

« Liked it so much we stayed a second time »

I booked his hotel at an extremely reasonable internet rate for three nights, and found we were upgraded to a modernistic and spacious corner room. The staff was cheerful and friendly. Terrific pod netspresso coffee machine in the room and you can get new pods downstairs if you use up your daily allotment. The tram into Amsterdam Central is right outside the door, and one of its stops is the museum area. The front desk sells the economical three day passes! Couldn't possibly be more convenient. When our planned Beussels trip was cancelled, we rebooked this hotel for an additional two nights after first going to The Hague. While not nearly as economical as our previous booking due to timing, it was great to return to familiar territory. We bought their breakfast buffet only once- it is a food cornucopia but frankly would have been too pricey to buy regularly. Cohere is about a five blocks walk to The train station stop that gets you out to the airport. Why stay for twice the price in the central city when you have all you could want here?

« Top Notch Hotel for the Price »

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Although breakfast was not included with the booking, the room has a Nespresso machine and free coffee pods. The location was quiet and convenient (only a 15-20 min tram ride on Line 2 to Central Station and a 30 min taxi ride to the Airport). This hotel is perfect for the last leg of our 2 week trip.

« Nice Hotel, Quiet Area »

This was my first time in Amsterdam, and all the hotels towards the center were way too expensive. Then I found this hotel. The hotel is in a quiet area and the Tram 2 is right outside of the hotel and takes you into the city within 15 mins and very reliable. Hotel has free wifi, clean modern rooms, a restaurant but I only ate breakfast for 15 Euros which wasn't bad. Hotel also sells the Tram passes at the reception desk. I enjoyed my time in Amsterdam, gave the hotel 4 stars because I feel the front desk staff could be a lil more friendly and helpful the tourists.

« First trip to Amsterdam »

We were fortunate enough to get some free flights from KLM and picked this hotel via our travel agents. We were not disappointed, our room was a large one on the 9th floor. Lovely, modern and bright with all facilities, coffee and tea making, toiletries, television and everything you could wish for. Beds and towels were changed daily. We only had breakfasts there but this was a buffet and there was everything you could ask for. The dining room was bright and airy, and staff were friendly and efficient We will definitely stay there again.

« Enjoyable stays on two occasions in March and April 2016 »

Stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of a vacation trip to Europe. We selected it because of price we were able to get online, online reviews, convenience to Schiphol Airport, and ease of access to downtown Amsterdam. Hotel is located on a tram stop on line that leads directly to Centraal downtown and easy walking distance away from a Metro station that will tie you into the train network for quick access to Schiphol. Well built quality hotel high quality furniture and fixtures in rooms. Only negative I have is the breakfast price/value. What you get is not worth the 15 euros in my opinion and I would recommend you seek other options elsewhere for that.

« Fantastic Value for Money »

Very pleased with my stay here, the staff we're very friendly and willing to help. Our room was very modern and clean! We had complimentary tea and coffee and toiletries, our room had its own vending machine which came in handy a couple of nights. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice; toast, cereals, fry up options and fruit with tea and coffee options. Travel to the city centre was very easy, the tram stops right outside the hotel and takes you straight to the centre with 20 minutes. I would recommend to stay outside the city centre because you find great restaurants and bars which are a lot cheaper. The tram takes you to all the main attractions; Amsterdam Sign, Amsterdam Museum, Van Gogh Museum and Dam Square. So definitely would recommend that. Overall I am very please with this hotel and would definitely recommend.

« Great location, no alcohol licence »

This hotel is one minute from the tram that takes 15 minutes straight into town. It was clean and comfortable, the room was just fine. Breakfast was nice, but they didn't have any decaf coffee, and when I asked for some she said, just take the normal coffee and add more water ???? There is nice coffee including decaf capsules in the rooms, and they will give you more if you require them. Never ate in the restaurant in the evening, no bar either. We would still use this hotel again, it's great value for money and in a great location, if you don't want to stay right in town.

« Top choice in Amsterdam »

We avoided the crowds in the red light district and this was the perfect choice. The room we had was spacious, modern, and most importantly clean. If they had a good breakfast restaurant, this would have rated a 5. I would stay here again when I go back to NL.

    5
« Top Quality and Great Location »

No faults with the hotel bar the fact that they can't serve alcohol. Room was spotless and we'll maintained. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is ideal - tram stop just outside which takes 20 mins to Amsterdam Central.

« Girls weekend away :) perfect hotel! »

Me and the girls stayed here recently for 4 nights, we had two in 1 room and three in the 2nd room. Both rooms were very spacious and clean. The rooms were very up to date and modern. There is a light u choose to put on your room to state whether you would like the room cleaned or if you want to not be distributed, they have a coffee machine in the room which was lovely & also a vending machine (bit gutted ours was not working for whole time we were there, BUT when mentioning to reception they advised it was the whole hotel and they were happy to bring up any snacks/drinks) to be fair it probably saved us some money it being down ;) we choose to have breakfast here one morning and I was pleasently surprised due to the price, lots of hot food to choose from & also fruit, cereals, crossiants etc..... The location of the hotel was perfect for us as there is a tram stop right outside the hotel on both sides and when going into town only takes about 10 mins. The staff at this hotel are so pleasent and couldn't be any nicer, on our last day we stored our suitcases in the luggage room wich was locked and unlocked by a member of staff which makes u feel safer about your luggage being stored. On the way home a woman who worked on reception even ran after our taxi as she thought one of us had left our phone there (wasn't ours but lovely of her to check and run after us) the staff at this hotel are perfect and the manager should be very proud :)) thanks for a great stay! Xx

« Excellent hotel with easy access to city centre »

The hotel is excellently located, not far from the Schiphol airport and with a good connection to the city centre and other attractions by tram No.2. The room was very functional and well serviced and the receptionists were really friendly and welcoming. If you are taking public transport from the airport, it would be the best to go to Amsterdam Lelylaan, change to metro to Heldingstraat (one stop), then walk (or one stop ride on tram No.2).

« value for money and comfort »

Was there last summer for a little 4 days Amsterdam trip. The hotel is located a little bit further from city center, but reachable with tram 2. Tram stops just right accross the hotel. Comfort beds and pillows. Nespresso machine is the best service in the room :) .

    5
    « Fantastic. »

This hotel is just a 15-20 min tram ride outside of all the goings on in Amsterdam. Very easy to get to from the airport. I advise to buy a travel card from the station. Its location was perfect with trams running late into the night. Tram 2 takes you to all the places you need to go and the stop is literally outside the hotel. VERY modern hotel, spotless, the staff were brilliant and the WIFI was always good. The room was spotless and we even had a great view of Amsterdam, very quiet hotel with no stupid behaviours going on. THE BREAKFAST was amazing, pretty much all you could ask for, so definitely get that included. They held our bags for us as we was early to check in and held them on check out for us to explore the city without our bags. AMAZING HOTEL!!

    « Really nice hotel! »

Stayed here last summer, as we(my husband and me and his twin brother) visited Amsterdam for summer trip. The 3-beds-room were spacious and comfortable. hotel amenities were great esp. the nespresso machine :) . Hotel is located a little bit further from the city center, but tram stop is direct in front of the hotel. So, it's totally convenient. The front desk staffs needed more smile. It wasn't a nice sight, if you checked in a great hotel like this, just to be welcomed with no smile at all.

« Not inner city, convenient transport »

We booked this hotel initially on previous reviews and price. It is not in the middle of the city but only 20min by tram which stops right outside. Hotel was of very good standard, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and beds made each day. We went with the breakfast option - good selection in the buffet

    « Quality stay »

We recently stayed here in 2 rooms for 4 nights. The hotel's location is convenient for the main sights with the #2 tram literally stopping outside the building. We bought a 96 hour travel card at the tourist info desk at the airport for 21.50 euros. There are several options for travel to & from the airport. We used 69 bus then #2 tram to the hotel on arrival, but the intercity double-decker train to the airport on departure. Breakfast was the best we have found and luckily was part of our deal. As a vegetarian the options were superb with the freshly squeezed orange juice machine being a particular favourite of our party. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are quiet. We stayed on the 8th floor in a standard twin & comfort double. The comfort rooms seem to be dual aspect as are corner rooms. Both room were of a good size, the comfort bathroom was enormous! Bathrooms are well equipped and staff were very pleasant. Wi-fi was easy to use. Would definitely return and recommend.

    « 2nd time visiting, very disappointed! »

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel. The first time was great, no issues, loved the room. This time however, we arrived early so left the bags in the store room, this was fine except the woman on the desk wasn't very friendly at all. When we came back to check in, the same woman at the desk was very rude and slow. There are self check in computers (which she pointed out) but as we had cash we had to wait for her to check us in. She was very ignorant when telling us this after taking a good while to check in the people in front of us, knowing we were waiting on her, proceeded to go over to the self check in computers and completely ignored us and the queue forming behind us. The guy in the office wasn't even going to come out to help until I caught his eye, and at that barely said anything to me, not even an excuse for the wait or a thanks. On a plus side the hotel is lovely, and the tram stops right outside the door. No alcohol license but that didn't bother us. The only saving grace was that we were greeted by a lovely guy on the check out, and had no problem storing our bags for the day as we had a late flight home (he is the only reason I gave it a 2 rather than a 1). I don't think I'd consider staying here again when I go back to Amsterdam.

« Perfect in every way »

This hotel was a short and easy tram ride from central station and very easy to get to the train station to go to the airport. The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. The room is very spacious and the beds are so comfortable. The bathroom was huge and very pretty. I would love to stay here again.

    « Beautiful hotel »

Stayed in the Best Western Premier Couture for a long weekend. Upon arrival check-in was very quick thanks to the self check-in desks in the reception area. We booked a triple room and were very happy with the size and presentation of the room. The facilities were great and the rooms very well kept. The hotel itself is a bit out from central Amsterdam but there is a regular tram service which stops right outside the front of the hotel.

    « Excellent hotel »

My girlfriend and I visited in February over the Valentine's weekend. The hotel is just outside the centre, with direct tram/bus stops just a few hundred metres from the entrance. If you're driving, the hotel also has parking. The room was very spacious and kitted out, very clean, big TV, nespresso machine, stunning bathroom and shower etc as well as climate control in the room and opening windows! To top it off the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay again next time we visit.

    « 2 nights stay »

Great hotel very well connected with the town centre as well as with the airport. Nice modern clean and spacious rooms and also very modern public areas. Helpful and polite staff. The only issue was no alcohol license so unable to purchase and alcohol. Local supermarket and Lidl within 5 minutes from the hotel. Would definitely recommend and come back.

« Good all round choice »

As a first time visitor to Amsterdam I was weary of this hotel as I knew before my visit that it was out of the city centre, that proved to be a real positive. To start the hotel was an easy journey from Schiphol airport. We got a 3 day Amsterdam travel card for 25 Euros from tourist information at Schiphol and never had to think about fares while there for bus, tram, metro, train or ferry. Train from Schiphol to Lelylaan is 7 minutes and a straight forward 10 minute walk to the hotel. After that, the No.2 tram from outside the hotel made travelling Amsterdam a doddle, it was about 25 minutes to Centraal Station but the journey was an excellent way to see the city and get your bearings. Hotel itself is very new and modern and everything within reflects that - automated check-in, good free wi-fi,modern furniture in rooms, UK / usb plug sockets in room, Nespresso coffee maker and decent bathroom. There's nothing flash, it's a bright new 4 star hotel for the price of a decent 2 star in the city centre. No contest. Only gripes would be that there's no alcohol licence for the bar at the moment (Lidl 2 minute walk away so no great loss) and we got marooned without food one night only to find room service stops with the restaurant at 10pm. However the Rijksmuseum area is only 10 minutes on the tram with restaurants everywhere. I thought long and hard about choosing this as my base but wouldn't think twice about recommending it

    « Brilliant hotel »

Myself and a friend stayed in this hotel last Tuesday for 3 nights and it was brilliant. The hotel was lovely, the staff were really helpful and friendly and the rooms were really nice too. The tram was right outside the hotel and it was really easy to get into the centre. The only thing I would say, which has no part in the hotel is be careful if gou haven't booked transfers to and from the hotel as if you get a taxi there are quite a few unofficial ones. If you speak to the airport staff they can take you to the official taxi rank right outside the airport. Apart from that I would definitely recommend going to Amsterdam and staying here! I will definitely coming back with my partner!

« Great hotel, would stay again! »

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights with my partner as a surprise for his birthday. On arrival the hotel looks lovely and modern and has a large reception area. Check in was ok, the tall blonde receptionist is quite frosty and not very welcoming which is a shame as everyone else I spoke to on reception was very helpful. I had asked for a room on a high floor as this was a tower hotel so we could appreciate the views. We were not disappointed as the room had great views and windows on 2 sides as it was a corner room. The room was lovely and modern and the bathroom was spacious and had all the usual amenities. Unfortunately the bed was not clean as it had a few hairs on and also some dirty marks on the sheets. I went to reception to let them know and they said a housekeeper would come and change it. When the housekeeper arrived to change it he was half way through and noticed the new sheets also had dirty marks on. Apart from this, everything else was clean and throughout our stay the room was cleaned when we needed. The hotel is on the outskirts of central Amsterdam so we purchased a tram ticket for 72 hours from reception. The tram stop is right outside the hotel and they run frequently. It isn't too far away and a nice ride through the different areas, we sometimes got off at different stops to explore. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each morning which was a hot and cold buffet with lot's of choice. The staff were nice and friendly too. Overall this hotel was great and I would definitely stay again. I think the location and transport links are great and the rooms are very comfortable and the perfect place to come back to after a long day in the city exploring.

« Best hotel experience in Amsterdam! »

I was bummed I could only book 2 nights here and then had to transfer elsewhere. They have great service! I got there early in the morning (9:30) and I was able to check in right away and go to my room. They even upgraded me for free! Awesome!! The hotel was nice and quiet, great room service. They are right next to the tram so it was VERY easy to go into downtown Amsterdam and to get back. They sell passes for the tram right at the hotel so you don't have to worry about where to buy them. I will definitely stay here again. Great value, great service!

    « Modern hotel »

Stayed for long weekend. Hotel is located in mostly quiet section of Amsterdam. The room was a decent size with modern amenities. Bathroom was modern in design and fixtures. The WiFi was flawless. Customer service was standard, but didn't engage with them other than check-in/check-out. Dined out in Amsterdam and/or stocked up on snacks from Albert Heijn, so can't comment on the quality of the restaurant. The Tram 2 stop is right outside hotel. However, if traveling to Schiphol from this hotel, I suggest the nearby subway stop over squeezing on the Tram 2, which can get crowded as it makes its way into the Amsterdam Centraal Station. From the hotel, walk up the street to the Heemstedestraat subway stop (about 2 blocks), board an Isolatorweg bound subway, get off at Station Lelylaan (1 stop) and exit the station. Proceed across the street to NS train station & look for the yellow machines, buy a ticket to Schiphol (your GVB pass won't work on NS trains), and take the NS train that stops at Schiphol. Overall, pleasant stay in a modern hotel with easily accessible transit options.

« Lovely hotel, great transport links, fabulous stay. »

High rise hotel. Room was beautiful, fabulous views. Close to all transport links. Not in the centre of Amsterdam, it's located in the fashion quarters, plenty to do around and about if you like shopping. We got a travel card and used the tram to get into Amsterdam city centre one day then as the weather was crisp and dry we walked in another, stopping off at all the little towns and the fabulous vondelpark. Didn't,t eat at the hotel but the food smelt delicious. It has no bar and doesn't serve alcohol but we found a lidl around the corner that sold wine.

« Modern but terrible customer service. »

I am still currently at hotel but since the customer service here is so terrible, I just couldn't contain myself and wait before reviewing. Now a lot of reviews you read will have you thinking you found such a great deal and yes the rooms are nice and bathroom is very cool but besides that there is nothing to rave over. Not once but twice we were denied room service delivery of food because and I quite " This is impossible, we are too busy"... now we all know how much room service can rack up so it's mind boggling they deny the service. Under arrival documents it says to ask front desk 24/7 for needs yet they refuse to help and we kept finding ourselves after a long day of walking around the city having to head back downstairs to the front desk for everything even when asking if it can be sent to room, again "This is impossible". Another gripe, I work for the coffee company they use in their rooms, so I know about machines and capsules. I asked on my way back in tonight at 11pm mind you for specific capsules I wanted since it was denied earlier and one gentleman at the front didn't understand, so another young Indian looking male came forward and barked orders to him to which capsules. He must of overheard the conversation of me referring to colors to help the guy give me right capsules since he didn't know, so when I asked him verbally for one type after saying I work with the company, he makes the smart a*s remark under the ASSUMPTION I didn't know what I was talking about and says "well if u work for the company you should know this color is decaf." Uh hello genius, I know this!!! I drink decaf and regular caffeinated, due to health issues, I cant drink too much! Must be such a shocker that you work in the hospitality field and never ever heard of this?!?! So ridiculous, I might sound super petty with this review but while on vacation especially in a different country, I except courtesy at my hotel after a long day to relax not headaches and wannabe comedians. Management should retrain on customer service experience, expectations and proper etiquette. Also they DO NOT OFFER SHUTTLE TO CENTRAL AMSTERDAM LIKE YOU MAY SEE IN OTHER REVIEWS, VERY MISLEADING. However the #2 tram is accessible and about 30 mins downtown.

    « Superb hotel! »

Very clean hotel with all the facilities you might need. Breakfast is amassing, it might sound a bit expensive, but trust me for Amsterdam it's not! The tram station is right in front of the hotel. Quiet area with a really nice park nearby. Will come back I'm sure.

    « A good hotel »

We stayed in the Best Western Premier Hotel Couture for three nights and enjoyed our stay. The room (9th floor) was spacious and comfortable and had an excellent shower room. The staff were all helpful when we needed to speak with them too. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Amsterdam, but it is easily assessable on the Number 2 tram and only takes 15 minutes (depending how far into town you get on/off of course!) The only main downside of the hotel was the lack of a bar that could serve alcoholic drinks! There was a notice on the reception desk which explained that it was due to licensing laws - it wasn't a deal breaker, but was disappointing to not be able to pop down to the bar for a drink before going out or perhaps if you come back early after a meal. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to others. An additional note: I emailed Best Western to ask about transferring between the airport and the hotel - they sent an excellent reply advising that from the airport, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station and from there take Tram 2 (direction: Nieuw-Sloten, stop: Delflandlaan). Very helpful!

« Very good standard but limited facilities »

This is a quite new and modern hotel. It seems they fell foul of local licensing laws and don't have a liquor licence. This means the bar and the restaurant only sell coffee and soft drinks. Not a serious problem as there are supermarkets nearby that sell alcohol, but it is inconvenient especially if you have dinner in the hotel. Strangely the room mini bar does appear to offer beer. Perhaps the local authorities are unaware of this loophole? Starting with the good points, the bathroom is spacious as is the shower cubicle. This has a fixed rain forest style shower head. Not my preference but it does the job. The room had two single beds pushed together to make a king size double. The mattresses are firm and supportive. Unfortunately the bottom sheets are too small to tuck in so can end up tangled around you if you are a restless sleeper. The two single duvets are tightly tucked in by the hotel cleaning staff. You effectively have to pull the duvet out and remake the bed before you can actually get in it. It would be far better if the duvets were not tucked in, much more user friendly. Instead of a kettle you get a Nespresso machine, an unexpected plus. So much nicer than the usual instant coffee. Air conditioning is controllable. Unfortunately mine kept randomly resetting itself to a much colder temperature than I wanted. The hotel staff were unable to fix this so I ended up leaving it switched off overnight rather than risk ice cold temperatures in the morning. The worst problem with the room was the LCD panel controlling the electronic "do not disturb" sign. This glows blue and at night it effectively becomes a night-light which can't be switched off. Some people might like this but I found it hard to sleep with the constant blue glow. Hotel maintenance did tape some paper over the panel for me but the glow still shone through. There is plenty of storage space but just one small drawer. Most of the space is in the form of cubby holes. Not much use for putting clothes as you have to rumage around for what you want. Some of the spaces are at floor level, useless as you need to be on your knees to use it. Drawers would be much better. There are no desk drawers to keep odd items (plugs, leads, receipts, etc). Food in the restaurant has a good choice of meat and fish dishes at a reasonable price. Portions are generous. But the meals all come with the same side dishes (chips, veg, and salad). Rather boring, so I could only face eating there once (the food was good however). The breakfast buffet is very good and well worth the extra cost. Good choices of hot and cold items. Location is OK. A tram stop near the hotel will take you to the centre of Amsterdam. There are also a few restaurants locally. The Chinese restaurant is especially good.

    « Good experience »

The hotel was great location with a tram stop into city only outside the front doors. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping was of a very high standard. Breakfast selection was very good especially continental aspect. Only one flaw i have was that was there were 2single beds with single duvets in the room.

« Short but lovely stay »

We have recently returned from a 3 night stay and it was a great base for our trip to amsterdam. Modern clean hotel with attentive helpful staff. We stayed in room 407 although it was on the small side it was perfectly adequate for our short stay ( no street noise) Easy access into the center via tram 2 which is very frequent. The only niggles were some of the toiletries were empty however the boxes still in the room, toilet roll wasnt great quality, no price list for the mini bar in the room and the bed wasnt the comfiest ( however i appreciate this is down to personal taste due to been in hotel management myself) All in all great stay, clean hotel, friendly staff would return.

« Nice but not amazing »

This hotel is positively nice but just a bit boring. Rooms were clean clean, nice white bedding, trendy lighting and plenty of storage. There provided a snazzy coffee machine and the bathroom was slick! However as this hotel considers itself 'couture' we never really understood how. As you would be able to imagine with any Best Western, the standards were high, staff tentative and amenities impressive. I am not sure what we were expecting but there wasn't anything wrong with this hotel necessarily, instead there wasn't anything outstanding either. Location wise, the number 2 tram will pick you up and drop you off in front of the hotel and it takes about 20 minutes to reach Dam Square. There is a convenience store around the corner but not much else near the hotel. Reception staff were lovely.

« Very nice stay in a modern hotel »

Stayed for two nights whilst meeting friends. The check-in was easy and the staff were friendly, and the room had a great view and was very spacious. I especially liked the smart TV which let me watch YouTube and listen to Spotify, although I think it'd be better if they had the Netflix app as well (perhaps this isn't allowed due to licensing restrictions). They also had a Nespresso machine which is a nice touch. The minibar was good, although there are pictures for Heineken and Gin & Tonic although the hotel doesn't have an alcohol licence anymore, this was explained on a sheet of paper that was given to me when I checked in. A Lidl and Albert Heijn supermakets are nearby where you can purchase alcohol, assuming you're over 18. The hotel has good transport links, the 62 bus from Lelylaan station (which has a direct link to Schipol) stops outside the hotel as well as the number 2 tram. It's not close to the centre but the tram is cheap (around €1,50 to the city centre) and takes about ten minutes. It was very good value for a four-star hotel in Europe. I hope to visit Amsterdam again, and I will definitely consider this hotel.

We were traveling as a party of eight to celebrate friends silver wedding anniversary. I contacted the hotel the week before. They could not do enough, they got a room upgrade and the room was decorated in balloons and petals, I emailed photos and they put these up also. The staff on the reception were very helpful telling us which trams to get, as you are quite far out of the centre they booked us a taxi to the airport which worked out the same as getting the train. Breakfast was worth the money at 12.50 euros and you could eat as much as you liked. I would really recommend this hotel rooms were great, food was great, service was great, and the hotel will be even better when they get their licence.

    « Stayed for a week »

The rooms are ok, peaceful, you can have tea or coffee made from the Nespresso machine. The breakfast is disappointing because all the pastries are dry, no decaffeinated coffee available either. I hated the pillows, whatever happened to normal pillows? They seem to only have square shaped pillows! It''s quite a distance from the city centre so you need to catch the tram just outside the hotel, remember to check in and out every time you get on or off the tram.

    « Great Hotel »

Been at the hotel from Sunday to Thursday, the hotel in new, modern and clean very clean. The hotel is not at the center of Amsterdam but with the tram that stops at the door of the hotel it's very easy and convenient to get to the center like Dam Square and Central Station. When I will be back to Amsterdam I will surely be back to this hotel.

    « Three night stay »

Comfortable modern hotel. Room had a big TV, powerful shower, air-con, iron. Excellent breakfast choices. Tram number 2 stops outside at regular intervals and takes you straight into the centre. No hassles.

    « Fantastic 2nd visit »

Second stay at this hotel and again we were not dissapointed. Brilliant hotel with clean and tidy rooms and friendly staff. Hotel is about 20 mins from Dam Square and 10 mins from Leidseplein. Trams are easy to use with the number 2 stopping right outside the hotel. Tram pass cost us about 12€ each for 48 hours. Would highly recommend this hotel. Don't be put off by the fact it is outside centre.

« Very quiet and generous. »

The hotel ist located directly at a tram station that brings you downtown within 25 minutes. The room has 3 beds, a coffee machine and an extremely cool bathroom. Very interesting: it has a self-check-in, no reception. There is a bar if you need anything.

    4
« ?Good hotel with easy access to downtown? »

Trams going to the city center right outside the hotel. The city center is about 15 minutes by tram. Modern rooms. The hotel has no license to sell alcohol beer also. Good access from the hotel to the airport with taxi, cca 15 min.

    « lovely rooms »

Hotel is located a little outside the center, but with Tram 2 you can stop straight in front of the hotel. Breakfast wasn't the best I had, seemed they were a bit overloaded with the amount of people on a Sunday morning. Rooms are good quality and bed slept perfect.

« Fantastic stay at Best Western Premier Hotel Couture »

Firstly the lobby is a spectacle - modern, spacious, bright, and kind of refreshing in a way. When we checked in the guy on reception told us that because the hotel was full, we had been upgraded to an Executive room free of charge! This was a delight to hear - a perfect start to our break in Amsterdam. As we reached our room we were amazed at the size of it. It was big enough for 15 people to comfortably congregate in, and there were only the two of us! Lots of space to run around in. Included in the room was a posh-looking coffee maker (my boyfriend was ecstatic whereas I have no clue about coffee!), however it was a little difficult to understand how to use it. We managed to get 2 decent coffees out of it for the entirety of our 4 night stay, although we didn't make a complaint as we were out most of the time. The room also included an electronic safe which was easy to use. We had to visit the front desk a few times to get more coffee capsules and milk, and the gentleman who served us was really calm and collected - he had a really tranquil way about him, and nothing was too much trouble. He was probably in his late 30s? I think I remember him having almost shoulder length hair... I may be wrong, but if this description matches a gentleman in your staff, then please thank him for being so patient and welcoming. The bathroom in the suite is also very large, and bright, and clean, and modern. There was a nice big shower with a seat in the wall (very soothing and also useful for shaving legs!) as well as a well-lit wall mirror stretching to both ends. There were small shampoos and soaps, and there was also a sewing kit and shoe shining kit. The bed must've been a super-king-size because we both had room to starfish and not get in each other's way! It was very comfortable and fresh. We weren't disturbed the next day by room service as there was a touch screen wall-device inside our room that we could set to 'Do Not Disturb' and this would show on a screen on the outside of the room. Lovely. The tram system is fantastic in Amsterdam - I wish we had them in England! There is a tram stop immediately across the road from the hotel, and the trams run efficiently and regularly, at 20 minute intervals I think. The journey to the centre is approximately 20-25 minutes. There is a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel but we didn't use this because we were out late most nights. I can't remember if they offer room service but I know that the receptionists can call nearby pizza places who will deliver, which we took advantage of one night. On our last day we wanted to explore for a few hours before returning home, and the hotel offered to hold our luggage, I think for a small price? I cant really remember, so it probably wasn't much if so. Overall, a very luxurious stay with Best Western Premier Hotel Couture, and I have recommended to a few friends who are travelling to Amsterdam :)

« Lovely hotel - would definitely return »

The hotel is on a tram line from Centraal Station so it was easy to find. Tramline 2 is also convenient for the museums as they were just a short ride away. We were given a 2nd floor corner room which was extremely spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were really friendly and welcoming and the check-in process was very speedy. We had one evening meal and one breakfast at the hotel. The restaurant produced really good food although if you are on a budget it would be cheaper to eat some food from the street stalls or shops. The breakfast was ample in variety but as it was not included we only had it once as it wasn't cheap. There are supermarkets nearby so if you're on a budget it helps. We would come back to this hotel as it was a really enjoyable stay.

    « Modern average hotel »

Premier Couture is located in a business area in the southern part of Amsterdam. The hotel is quite new and with stylish rooms, nice bathroom and all ameneties. But without any charme. The hotels does not have permission to serve alcohol so a stay in the bar is not a big experience. The breakfast is fair, with bake off bread and small variety of warm dishes. I do not recommend to have dinner in the restaurant. You can't get a beer or a glass of wine and the food was under level for a hotel at this standard. The area is not very charming, but there is a Metro only 5 minutes walk from the hotel where you can reach downtown Amsterdam within 10 minutes.

    « Short Stay »

I recently visited amsterdam for a short business stay to visit the RAI for an event, This hotel was very suitable for access to the RAI with a 5 - 10 minute train ride to RAI. the hotel room was very nice with all amenities in the hotel very good, with breakfast very nice, parking, gym. A small gripe would be that this hotel does not have any alcohol licence which i thought might be a bit strange, along with this it was a good hour journey from Schipol to the hotel, with it being a bit more on the edge of the main centre so trams and trains which are right outside this hotel are needed to get around if you are not using taxis or walking. overall it was a very nice stay with good staff and very nice atmosphere, however a few points let it down as mentioned.

    5
    « Top Class Hotel »

This is a top rate hotel, great rooms, spotless and fantastic staff. A little bit away from the madness of central Amsterdam but the number 2 tram stops right outside and you are about 15-20 mins from central station. The coffee machine in the room is an excellent touch and spare pods are always available at reception. Shower excellent, beds comfy, iron and ironing board in room, air con good and breakfast was varied and delicious. Wi-fi is very fast and unlimited. Shops within a five minute walk. All good.

« February stay gorgeous hotel »

Stayed here for 3 nights in February. Loved the hotel it was amazingly clean and modern, had the nicest shower room with floor heating. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Outside of the city centre but has a tramstop right outside and trams run till midnight and its a direct tram to the city centre. Trams are also really reliable and often and very cheap - 21 euros for a 4 day pass. Only down fall of the hotel is wouldn't recommend the breakfast at all. But the room service pizza was good. Hotel room had a smart tv with netflix and spotify etc with was good. Overall amazing hotel and would 100% return

    « 5 nights - 'Dam good time! »

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in March and were pleasantly surprised by the great deal we got! It was definitely value for money. The outside of the hotel was stylish and the rooms well-presented! I, being a coffee drinker welcomed the amazing addition of the Nespresso machine too. The hotel offers a self-check in service but this didn't work for us as it placed us in the wrong room which was quickly rectified by a member of staff immediately at the reception. Included in the price you also get complimentary wi-if, slippers and dressing gowns (the gowns were missing from our room). We chose not to dine at the restaurant as it was cheaper to eat further in the city and there is a Lidl around. The corner for supplies such as water and snacks. The beds were large and comfortable. Pillows not so much - either too soft or too plump (no in between) and the duvet was definitely not big enough for two. Temperature tended to fluctuate in the room and we did find ourselves waking in the middle of the night to adjust the air con or heating. The bathroom is clean, towels regularly replaced too and there is underfloor heating in the bathroom. The shower was awesome and perfect when you'd been out walking in the cold Amsterdam weather. The main drawback of the hotel is it's distance from the centre, however there is a tram stop directly outside the hotel. A 24 hour ticket costs €7.50, 48 hour €12 and can be used on trams AND buses displaying GVB logo. You can purchase at the hotel or on the tram - however we were misinformed by the staff at the hotel about the passes only working on the trams so one night, did end up paying double. Trams stop running at 12. But there is a night bus for those wanting a later night (our advice download a map/travel app - Moovit) - the hotel did provide a map in the room though as well as some great reading material! We did attempt to book the hotels bike hire, however they had run out of bikes but found a shop approximately 20 minutes walk or 5 min tram ride right of the hotel. Definitely a Must for seeing the city! The hotel staff were also kind enough to lend us umbrellas during our stay for when it snowed/rained/sleeted! All in all an amazing stay! NB the hotel currently doesn't have an alcohol licence however we'd recommend nipping round the corner and grabbing a bottle of wine or some beer (ice provided by hotel) as they start at €3 a bottle.

    « VERY ENJOYABLE STAY »

Had a lovely stay here for four nights. Even though it was out of the centre, the number 2 tram stopped right outside and took 15 mins approx. It stopped at all the major sights so if you get a city pass (from your hotel, £17 euro for 72 hours or your can get either a 24, 48 or 96 hour one. Please note the time starts when you actually use your ticket 1st and not when you purchase it) you can just hop on where and when you want to up to 12.30am. Can't fault hotel except for them not having a alcohol licence. Especially with it being out of the centre it would really make me want to return if I knew they had a bar to just chill in after walking for hours when you just don't want to make the effort of going back into the hustle & bustle. The restaurant could do with a better menu as well to make it appeal to me. The room was lovely with all essentials apart from milk (only dry creamer), hairdryer, iron & board, slippers, coffee perculator which is also ok to make tea. Shampoo, conditioner, face cloth, soap, shower gel, shower cap. These get refreshed daily. Downstairs in the hotel is a gym and games room. To get here from the airport get the train to Lelylaan for 4 euros then you can either take a bus for 1 stop or walk for 15 mins at the most (best printing a google map for this bit but it saves 2.90 euros each) this saves you from going in Central station and finding your way from there.

« Can not wait to return! »

Just returned from this lovely, modern all round brilliant hotel. My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. Our very spacious room was cleaned everyday with sheets changed on our second night. The bed was HUGE and super comfy. The bathroom was large and very modern. Hairdryer is the typical slow hotel hairdryer but not much of an issue! The coffee machine in the room is such a good idea, made good use of that. All free to use. The electric mini bar in the room is all touchscreen and charges you on checkout. However this hotel doesnt have a permit to sell alcohol yet. But we didnt go to drink so was fine. We bought our tram tickets from reception which saved the faff of doing it on the tram. 3 day ticket for about 17 euro. Pretty good. Tram stop situated right outside. Tram 2 to the centre took about 15 mins. Closest coffee shops are about 10 mins away. But you will soon find them and one you like. Some of the popular ones were very busy so we found it nice to walk around, explore and try and find some less known quirky ones. We got a taxi to and from the airport. It was quite pricey but not to bad. We paid 44 euro to the hotel and 35 euro back to the airport. All hotel staff we came across were great, couldnt help enough! Room service was good too! Not much close by to do but as the tram is so close this was not a problem. We are already looking at returning to Amsterdam and this hotel later this year. Can not rate it enough! See you again soon. Also WIFI worked really well all round the hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights for my partners 30th.I had pre paid for a birthday package which wasn't in the room when we arrived but was soon resolved when I went down to reception to ask. For me the location is perfect. It is around 20 mins on the tram to the city centre (tram stop right outside hotel. Number 2). The rooms are lovely and spacious and very clean and modern. The shower was amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions we asked them. Would deffinetly recommend a stay here. :)

« GREAT HOTEL, great location »

I had previously visited with my parents. So i returned with my partner. Great clean and modern hotel. Spacious rooms, great bed, nice bathroom with bath and shower. Heating and air con worked perfectly. Excellent breakfast, wide variety. Tram stop literally outside of hotel, brilliant to get to Amsterdam Central, about 15mins on tram 2. Would defiantly return. Usually stay at West Cord Fashion Hotel. But would defiantly considered this as my 1st option.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and could not fault the hotel in any way. All brand new and lovely and clean. The fluffy bath robes were a nice touch as were the complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is delicious and as much as you can eat. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We would defiantly return and recommend.

    « No dissapointments here »

Modern, clean and comfy - that probably summarizes it all. We had a very nice room that looked pretty much as new. No disappointments here. Staff was very friendly and helpful/well informed which is always a plus. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't say anything about breakfast or restaurant itself. The only annoying thing was that our minibar wasn't working at all during our stay and TV remote kept breaking so I had to ask the guys to fix it but it wasn't a big issue as we were mostly out anyways. It takes 15-20 minutes to get to the hotel from the city centre, which is a bit of a downside for those ones that like to be out and explore amsterdam and I would probably prefer something more central because sometimes it was a hassle to get back during the night and taxis are not that cheap. During weekdays you can catch a tram every ten minutes throughout the day. It gets a little bit more difficult to get back after 1am when trams stop but you can still get back with a night bus that runs every hour from the city center.

    « A modern and neat hotel »

This is a modern hotel about 30 min tram ride from Centraal station. The rooms were well equipped and the beds were good as well. There was even a coffee-maker in the room! The breakfast was a standard one. We were a bit surprised that there was no license for serving alcohol in this hotel, so even the bar had just soft drinks. The restaurant was quite a nice one. This hotel offers good value for your money. There is also a small gym and a play room.

    « Great hotel »

Stayed in this hotel during the weekend. Very clean and modern 4 stars hotel. Staff was very friendly, though the check in and check out can be done automatically. We've got our room very early, 10:00. Espresso machine is available in each room. Location is not central, but from tram station located in front of the hotel, line 2 will ride to city centre in 20min.

New, clean, spacious hotel, ideally located for a city trip to Amsterdam... Staff is very friendly, rooms are large and very clean, and they have parking on site! Close to the highway, but suprisingly quiet. And the breakfast is more than plenty... Recommendable!

    « Fantastic hotel!!! »

My partner and I and two of our friends stayed in this hotel last weekend and were really impressed. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are lovely and top quality, its a really comfortable hotel and the food is excellent!! The hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport and we got a taxi really easy for 30 euro!! The hotel is a bit out from the centre, about 10/15 mins on the tram but is really easy to get to and a taxi back late at night is only 15euro!! Would definately stay in this hotel again!!! Highly recommend it!!

    « Perfect Stay »

The hotel was in a quiet location but right outside a tram route that takes you all the way to Amsterdam Central. The hotel itself had beautiful rooms with great bathroom showers. I love the coffee machine available, allows a great start to the day. Free Wifi was also available. The bar doesn't have a license yet but I didn't mind it personally. The shutters on the window gave a really good black out screen, we ended up sleeping in not realising the time. The little square up the road has a few really nice places to eat. The Roti King was a good takeaway and the Grannies had great breakfast options.

    « A wonderful stay. »

This hotel was everything we could have wanted. It was in a quiet location but extremely easy to just jump on a tram right outside and explore the city. The room was clean and well equipped, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the breakfast was tasty and varied. I particularly loved the nespresso machine in the room and the underfloor heating on the bathroom. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

    « Excellent Hotel »

This is a modern and very comfortable hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and have all the facilities you need. The shower room was top class. Staff very helpful and speak good English willingly to save embarrassment with attempted Dutch. The breakfast is very good and is discounted if booked in advance. The hotel is 15 minutes from the city centre on an excellent tram route (no 2) and the hotel will sell you passes for public transport which are recommended. All in all an excellent experience and would choose hotel again on next visit.

    « Fresh look with a twist »

We had a very nice room, where the facilities are also well arranged. However, we did smell that someone in the room had smoked before. Although we noticed the slight smoke smell, we didn't think it was such a problem. We especially liked the carpet and the room setup. The carpet was dark with colourful dots and the room was setup in a way that there was plenty of room for luggage, work and also put stuff on the table. The beds were good. The restaurant didn't look great, so we didn't try it out.

    5
« Friendly staff lovely stay »

We had a great stay in this hotel it was very clean and well kept. We had a lovely buffet breakfast every morning, a Nespresso machine in our room and helpful smiley staff on hand. There is a tram stop on the door step which is only 20mins into the centre or an hour to walk (which we did several times via vondel park as this was such a lovely walk). There was also a few eateries near by- we went to dovers dog Australian restaurant which was spot on. Overall we were very satisfied with our value for money stay.

    « Bad customer service »

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in January. When we first arrived to the room I felt as though the bedroom itself could have been cleaner very dusty and had a strange damp smell which was quite off putting, although I must say the bathroom was spotless. During our stay my perfume was smashed by accident by one of the cleaners. We received a letter from management apologising and offering us complementary breakfast however as we had already made plans we phoned reception and explained asking if they could offer us anything else. A nice gentleman said he would speak with management and let us know. The next morning whilst checking out a lady on reception was very abrupt and rude when she out of no where said "I've heard what happened in the room and my manager has just decided to give you back the 15 euros". The money was then shoved into my hand, I had never once asked for 15 euros so was quite confused as to why she made it sound as though I had specifically asked for this and that she was having to begrudgingly doing it. No apology nothing really really bad customer service skills. Accidents happen I appreciate that. But I feel the way it was dealt with in the end by this lady made me feel like it was my fault and that she was doing me a favour. Very unprofessional.

« Superb ! Ideal For A Short Break In Amsterdam »

Me and my partner have just returned from a few days away in Amsterdam. The hotel is excellent and provides fantastic value for money. You just cannot go wrong staying here whilst visiting the city. Enough said !

« Nice hotel in a business area »

The hotel itself is nice and clean. Design is modern, coffee machine in the room, people are welcoming, breakfast is a buffet one, dutch type. The area though is not very busy. However, you can take tram 2 & 5 to go to the city center. I use it because it's near my office. Be careful, when booking through Booking.com you get an "angle" room, with a very noisy wind.

« Lovely hotel, quiet neighbourhood - baby friendly »

Stayed for 3 nights with my husband and my 9 month old baby. Great hotel, new, clean and rooms to a really high spec. Gave us a nice cot for baby and plenty of space to accommodate this. The nespresso machines in every room are a lovely touch, not just for the coffee but you can easily get hot water from it for your baby bottles. 20 min tram ride to central station but only a 10 min ride to vondelpark and surrounding districts which are lovely. Tram stop right outside hotel and trams are great for buggies, there is a priority area at the back of each one. Trams super cheap too. 17 euro for a 72 hour pass. Can easily get train to schipol airport too, takes about 20 mins in total. Didn't try the bar or restaurant. Would really recommend for couples and young families. Nice swanky hotel for an affordable price. Enjoy!

    « Fantastic hotel »

Just got back from 3 nights at the Best Western Premier Couture, and couldn't have been more impressed. Arranged for rose petals and chocolates in the room as it was Valentine's Day and they made such an effort for only €20! The hotel is about 15 mins from central Amsterdam on the number 2 tram, but this really wasn't a problem as they're very frequent! It was worth staying further out of the centre for the nicer hotel! Really modern, really clean and very efficient - self check-in and out so no queues. Really helpful staff, lovely clean rooms, modern decor! Couldn't recommend it more.

« Great value for money! »

An amazing hotel, the staff were friendly and willing to help at all times! It is also in a great location that you are only 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minuted from the centre - which can be located by trams cheaply. I would recommend staying here!

« Great hotel for a great price »

I stayed in this hotel recently for a friends birthday weekend and was not disappointed, the standard of the rooms and bathrooms where top notch. If your staying here I suggest you grab a two/three day tram pass as there is a station directly outside which takes you straight in to the central hub of Amsterdam, these trams run through to quite late 4-5am I think it was. Rooms where replenished daily with complementary water and other essentials including toothbrush and toothpaste which my friend had forgotten! Staff where very friendly and always helpful. Although was very surprised to learn they didn't serve alcohol on the premises which was disappointing.

    « lovely stay »

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved interior and look of the hotel and room very up to date, everything was also very clean. The food at dinner was average. Location is okay just a little far from the centre if your only staying a few days it would be better to stay closer into Amsterdam as it will save a lot of travel time, although the hotel is well connected with regular trams and night bus' to and from the centre from just outside.

    4
« Nice hotel, staff were a bit rude though! »

Hotel was very nice and in a fairly good location - tram stop right outside the door and only a 20 min trip into Centraal. Overall it was good value for money, however, we found the staff less than helpful. We arrived early and asked could we leave our bags there and come back to check in later in the day - this wasn't greeted too warmly, and neither were any other queries we had Bedroom and bathroom were very nice though!

« Loved the hotel! Restaurant and "bar" less then average »

I stayed at this hotel over Valentines day and my birthday and really loved our room but was extremely disappointed to find the hotel didnt serve alcohol even though it says it has a bar! And no where on the website did it say anything about having no licence so even on my birthday i couldn't have a drink! I also asked reception about restaurants for Valentine day she pointed on the map to an area that had restaurants but that was about all the help we got. On out first night eating dinner we waited almost an hour between finishing our mains and being asked if we wanted desert and the restaurant wasnt even that busy! Although the hotel in general is lovely with stunning bedroom's huge beds and lovely bathrooms, if you want a drink at dinner or faster service i would go somewhere else for dinner.

    « Fantastic hotel »

We are just back from our stay. We arrived on Thursday, 4 couples. The hotel communicated with us before our stay and were there to meet us at reception. They were very accommodating and cheerful. The hotel is immaculately clean. The rooms and bathroom is spacious, excellent shower. They seem to have remembered everything, shower gel, soaps etc that are replenished each day (maybe toothpaste would be a good idea to include). USB ports in sockets to charge your phone .. U.K. Plug socket also in the room so no need for travel plug. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer and pedometer .. Really everything has been thought of and more. The mini bar didn't work but you can order from reception and have it delivered to your room. Vending machines also in the hotel. Breakfast was lovely, a large selection of breads, meats, cheeses cereal and fruit along with a hot buffet. They haven't got an alcohol licence at the moment but Lidl is only round the corner. The tram tickets were bought at reception and the tram is right outside the hotel. It takes about 15 minutes to get by cab from airport to hotel cost approx 35 euros .. The taxi back from central Amsterdam was about 30 minutes by taxi and cost about 40 euros. We had a great time and we will definitely stay at this hotel again.. Thank you for looking after us.

« Second visit and will return again »

It was good last year and just the same this year! Attention to detail is good, even down to having English plug point and a number of usb charging points. Was very surprised there was still no alcohol in hotel, it may put some off but not a problem really.

    « Wonderful Hotel »

This hotel lives up to every positive review on Trip Advisor. The hotel is a short 20 minute tram ride (on tram 2) from Dam Square, the ride is scenic and really enjoyable. You can buy a pass from the reception and you just 'tap on and tap off' every time you get off and on the tram. A extremely clean and modern hotel with beautiful rooms. The staff are an asset to the place, they are very friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. They make the rooms up to a wonderful standard. To get to this hotel get the train from the airport to Lelyann station and then walk from here. I recommend you plot your walk from the train station to the hotel on a map beforehand as we got slightly lost and it really only does take 10 minutes. Tram back to the hotel stops at around half 12 every night and this varies slightly. It is quite a walk so make sure you catch this as I have heard the taxi's are quite expensive. Overall wonderful and I would stay here again.

« Stylish hotel competitive prices! Great value for money »

Free upgrade to executive room on arrival, staff couldn't do more! Hotel was lovely very clean and breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice. Cannot fault. Tram pass for 48hours is 12.50 euro and is a must as the hotel is out of town, however this isn't a negative, nice and quite, no noisey drunks. You can dip and and out of the hectic city that is Amsterdam! As a result of the team passes we explored much more of the city. Would definitely book again! Highly recommend Heineken experience on your travels!

« Excellent stay, ideal location »

Stayed here with my girlfriend for the weekend and had an excellent stay. Very ideal location, 40 minutes bus/tram ride from the Airport and only 15/20 min tram from the centre of Amsterdam. If you just want a night in there are supermarkets restaurants/takeaways and a coffee shop within a few mins walk also. The rooms were excellent, very clean, modern and everything you'd expect. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, no matter the time or questions you had for them. Only downside was is no alcohol was served at the hotel, not a problem though as the supermarket was so close. All in all had an excellent stay here and would recommend. Easily one of the best hotels I've stayed in when visiting Amsterdam.

« Nice and modern hotel »

This brand new hotel is located in fashion district. This is about 12-15 minutes from the center by tram No. 2. But at night you can catch night bus No. 758. 12 minutes to walk to Lelylaan station where you can catch a train to Schiphol airport. Also you can find some restaurants in this area: Chinese, Lebanese, Australian and Dutch. To have breakfast in hotel cost 15 Euro per person. Our room was small, but very clean and modern. It was equipped very well: safety box, nespresso machine, tv, big and comfortable bed, iron, iron desk, 4 comfortable chairs, slippers and etc. The bathroom is quite big with good shower cabin. The only problem was noisy windows (because of wind) at night. We had room on 8th floor and one night was very windy. So this night we wasn't sleep so good. The elevators are fast and you haven't wait it long. Btw there is self service on check-in and check-out, but here is some staff to help you 24/7.

    « Brilliant Hotel »

I travelled to Amsterdam for my 30th Birthday celebrations, and we decided to stay at this hotel. From beginning to end our stay was excellent. They left helpful posts on their Facebook page that could be easily translated, that directed us easily to the hotel from the airport. The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and although it was morning, they informed us our room was ready and we could check in. They cleaned our room daily and when we checked out and I left my sunglasses behind, they made sure they found them and returned them to me! Excellent stay, lovely hotel, would highly recommend as its cheaper than any of the hotels in the centre of Amsterdam, there's a tram stop just outside and it's cheap as chips for an all day pass ??

    « Family city break »

Ideal location for a city break. A short tram ride to the centre of Amsterdam.Tram station just outside the hotel. Very clean and well-appointed room. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Only downside- no bar license.

    « City break »

This hotel was really nice, staff were friendly & eager to please. The rooms were excellent, with unlimited tea & coffee. The only downside for us was the bar with the 'temporary' loss of license, so no nightcap! We did buy our own wine & took it back. A bonus was free wifi anywhere in the hotel. Tram 2 from just outside the hotel took you to Dam Sq in 20 mins & ran every 6-10 mins & there were other places to get off on the way

    « Brilliant »

Really comfortable spacious rooms . Cleanliness10/10. Staff 10/10. Very helpfull . Tram into dam center stops outside of the hotel . The hotel stands tall and proud . i would defiantly stay here again . It is not near any shops and too far to walk into dam . Nice and quiet area

    « FANTASTIC!!! »

myself and my partner stayed here for 3 nights at the end of Jan. Prior to arriving I emailed the hotel enquiring about how to get to it and also to inform them in was a trip for my partners birthday. They responded promptly and in detail providing us with lots of information. On arrival to the hotel the self check in desks were fab and very efficient. There was a lovely young girl on reception I never got her name but she was so welcoming. Our room was 307. It was spacious and very clean they had also put balloons up which was just brilliant - thank you. We never ate in the hotel however food did smell lovely. It's a shame room service stopped at 10.30 and often when we had come back to hotel before 12 ( as trams end) we were dying for a pizza. I could not work out how to put on floor heating but hotel explained it to me but I just couldn't get it lol. Given how close the tram stop was to the hotel if I ever returned to Amsterdam I would definitely stay here. I have already also told my family and friends about the hotel and how impressed I was.

« Perfect Location and picture perfect »

The hotel is located walking distance to a tram station. You can buy the tram passes from the hotel itself. The breakfast has a good variety of juices , omelette and bread. The hotel is very near to the airport. Its located a lil outside the main place to see but the tram is just on the footstep of the hotel. The hotel doesn't have any bar so just in case, you need some alcohol be self prepared. The room was on very neat and cosy. and it was well decorated. there was park outside the hotel and a small neat lake . we used to sit there and chill and see ducks swimming. The guy on the front desk gave us good info abt Amsterdam whereabouts. Overall it was a good hotel with nice location. as we take the tram outside the hotel u can spend some time looking at all the good places . You can get down at any stop and see places and get on the tram again. The hotel is overall neat clean. and good breakfast

« Great value hotel 10 minutes by tram from Museumplein »

Best Western Premier Hotel Couture is directly on Tram 2 line, about 3 km west of Museumplein, where Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum located. Tram line 2 is about ten minutes to Museumplein and 30 minutes to Centraal Station. Largest standard room I have had in Amsterdam and I have stayed in many Amsterdam hotels. Since hotel is outside central Amsterdam tourist zone, room rates are less than half the rate of comparable and lesser quality hotels in city center. Hotel has game room, restaurant and bar, two computer stations in lobby and fitness room. Decor is modern with all modern conveniences. I highly recommend this hotel as a good choice for Amsterdam if you want good hotel value without sacrificing the convenience of easy transportation with tram into city center. Hotel sells tourist tram passes for 24, 48 and 72 hours and #2 tram runs with frequency every 7 to 15 minutes from early morning to midnight.

    5
« Perfect location, lovely staff and lovely rooms »

Only 20/25 minute journey from the town centre via tram which is outside the hotel and can get a tram every 10minutes which run quite late until around 11 or 12. The hotel itself is furnished to a high quality, spacious and clean. Staff cleaned our room daily to a high standard. Checkimg in to the hotel is self service but the staff are always on hand of you need assistance. The hotel is extremely modern and inviting entrance, several lifts and room navigation easy to find. Perfect for those wanting a bit more comfort or luxury would definitely rate as 4 Star hotel. Would book again if I'm visiting Amsterdam in the future.

    « Great stay »

Had a great time at this hotel. Stayed for 4 nights and it was just great. Yes. it is a bit far from city center but the tram (no.2) takes you straight from central station till the hotel entrance. Ride takes apx. 20-25 min. and lots of the city main sights are on the way, so you can actually hop on/off from the tram whenever you want. Hotel is very clean. The room was pretty big (10th floor) and the shower was just great, No problem with hot water though it was December. I didn't eat at the hotel (wanted to eat outside) but breakfast rate was reasonable. The hotel area is quiet - so you can sleep well. Overall a great stay. Highly reccomeded.

« very nice hotel in calmy area of busy Amsterdam »

Stay here in Winter is absolutely great because in the bath room they have heater on the floor ! so just very nice feeling when to wake up in the morning and take a bath for a long amsterdam journey. The wifi is good and the room with a view to the front also nice and they provide an espresso machine in the room and vendor machine for soda and water. The breakfast is amazing with so many variant of western and american breakfast. The tram is just in front of the door that can bring you in 10 minute to the center of Amsterdam.

DO NOT BOOK WITH LASTMINUTE.COM!! I've just come back from 2 x nights in Amsterdam, when I arrived at the hotel the online machine in the hotel couldn't find our booking so I had to wait 10 minutes for the receptionist to come over and check us in. The staff aren't the most friendliest or helpful at this hotel. The booking still couldn't be found so I had to phone through to last minute as the receptionist said she couldn't get through. I got through straight away to an Indian call centre who reassured me that I had a booking and the 3rd party company who they source the bookings out to ( which I didn't know about) would get in contact with the hotel to confirm my booking. This didn't happen so I called again to complain and they told me it was being sorted. No one got in contact with the hotel so in the end I had to pay for our rooms again!!! I'm not blaming the hotel for this, it was entirely the travel companies fault but they could of been more helpful. The hotel was nice, rooms were big, clean and had all the facilities you need. It's about 15 mins away from the city centre and the tram was right outside the hotel. If you don't really want to travel much I'd advise that you get a hotel in the centre. I didn't mind too much but if I decided to go again I would definitely stay in a more central area. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again as the customer service was poor in my view.

« Sober on the Western Front »

Terrible breakfast, garden furniture in Restaurant, can't even get served a glass of wine with your meal. Treated like a criminal when something was stolen from my room. Terrible location. Would not stay there for free.

« Great hotel a little way out »

We stayed here for two nights and to be honest you can't get better value for money....if you don't mind travelling for a while to get to central Amsterdam we didn't mind and grabbed a bargain. The hotel doesn't serve alcohol which is a bit strange but hey it is what it is. The rooms are modern and the hotel is new so they are obviously still nice. We did struggle a bit to find the hotel after receiving directions but they didn't mention which way we needed to walk from the train station. Breakfast is worth paying for upfront as it's cheaper, also the buffet is good and plenty of choice. Would I stay again. Without a doubt.

« Luxury room but poor food and poor location . »

The room was great! Spacious and comfortable with tv and our own thermostat. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was very clean! However the food in the restaurant was very bad. Myself and my friend got the 5 spice pasta (with 'chicken') but it definitely didn't live up to the standard of the rest of the hotel! The 'chicken' looked and tasted like frankfurters and the '5 spices' was more like a packet of curry sauce thrown onto the pasta.. One other thing that surprised me and was a bit disappointing was the location. Most people say it's around 10mins from Amsterdam central but that is only by car, so unless you are hiring, it will take you 25mins at least by tram to get in to the centre. It is lucky that Tram 2 stopped just outside the door but it was still a bit of a train journey. The taxi service was very good though for evening trips in. I loved Amsterdam though and I would consider staying here again.

    « Great place »

Great hotel, beautiful rooms, and very fairly priced A bit far from the center city though but it was a very good surprise for me to find such a nice hotel for the price I paid. So if you don;t mind being a bit far from the center (20mn taxi ride), this is your place.

    « definitely worth a stay »

I stayed for 3 days in this hotel. I thought the distance was very far from central station on tram. Our room was small and our friends had booked the same room but theres was bigger so i think its just pot luck what size the room is you get. I loved the coffee machine in the room, a great extra. The bathroom was beautiful. Fabulous shower. The air con is also very quick to turn on and off. Room service is so nice and very affordable, we got a pizza close to €7. Mini bar is also good value. if you are going, make sure you try get a multiple day tram ticket, the tram was 3,90 for one hour I think. All in all, it was a lovely, modern hotel and I would definitely return! Staff very friendly.

« A bit out of the way but a great hotel! »

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised with how upmarket it felt for such a reasonable price. I'll list some information I would have found helpful pre-stay and hope this helps! - There is no hotel shuttle bus, you must travel to Lelyllan (spelt something like that) by train which is one stop from Schiphol. From here it is at least a 10 minute walk and if you don't have google maps, it will be tricky! - alternatively a cab will be around €30 from the airport. - the number 2 tram is right outside and will take you to both the museum district and central station, the museum district is about 15 minutes away and central station is 30 minutes - trams stop running at midnight - a cab back from central will cost you roughly €20 Getting away from the logistics, I'll mention a few great things about the hotel! The staff were very helpful and welcoming which was good. The rooms themselves are very nice and quite, importantly, and the showers were some of the best I've had in a hotel! I shared a twin bed with my girlfriend which was actually two singles pushed together (I was a little annoyed at this I must admit). Breakfast was also a highlight! All in all, I think it's perfect for a weekend away. Recommended!

    « Well worth it »

I can honestly say that this is worth a stay. Its a modern hotel with modern utilities. We always appreciate a hotel with a coffee machine in the room. They even have free pedometers for you. The only downfall is that its a little way out from Amsterdam central. But the tram stop is right outside the hotel so the City centre is accessible and its only 10-15 minute tram ride. And if your looking for good breakfast the Drovers Dog cafe is a 500 metre walk away from the hotel. Its an Australian based cafe. Or they have room service or breakfast available in the hotel.

    « Brilliant break away »

My friend and I stayed at the best western couture for 2 nights and had an amazing time. The hotel was faultless and fabulous. The staff are very helpful and the check in/out desk is really easy to use. Our room was on the 9th floor and had lovely views of the city. There was a busy main road outside the hotel but you couldn't hear any noise in the room. The room was spacious and the bathroom was stunning. Rooms spotless and was cleaned each day. Beds were very comfortable. The tram is right outside the hotel and number 2 takes you to city and all the way to central station so it was easy to hop on and off this tram all weekend it only costs 12 euros for 48 hours from reception. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to all my friends and family and look forward to returning soon!!

« Outside of the city, BUT.... »

The Hotel is outside the City. However the Tram #2 is right next to Hotel and goes directly into the City via the VanGogh and Rijkesmuseum. It it also between the City and the Airport. The room were very nice. We had booked a triple room with three real beds in it. I loved the bathroom. Also, we had the breakfast. It was very good. For me with lactoseintolerance they provided Special milk etc the only Thing that was a bit disappointing was that I celebrated by birthay during the stay and the Hotel did not recognice it even though they were advised. I know it's not a big deal and still. I would stay here again when visiting Amsterdam

    « Very good stay »

Had a wonderful time with family (wife and a 3 year daughter). Very pleasant stay and accessibility to the city with the tram stopping (no.2 tram) right in front of the hotel. Excellent value for money. Location is beautiful and quiet. Restaurant is pleasant but head out to Drovers dog nearby for some great food and drinks. Only negative I felt was that they didn't have a concierge service, however they helped me with my baggage on the way in. They also told me that they couldn't heat up the food for my daughter (chicken nuggets) but did it after consulting with higher ups, which I found a bit weird. Overall cleanliness, accessibility and service were excellent. Thank you guys. Vinod

Very nice and comfortable room. Very clean as well. Pure breakfast..! A little bit far from the center (15min) but so value for money!! Tram stops front of the hotel. We will choose this hotel for our next trip to Amsterdam.

    « Another fantastic stay »

I stayed at this hotel in March and loved it so I decided to return with the last stay being really good! I don't actually have any faults with this hotel the new speedy check in is really fast and convenient. Hotel staff all lovely and room cleaned perfectly everyday. The hotel is around a 20min tram ride to the city but the views of going into the city are well worth the ride. Hotel room has everything you can ask for complimentary tea, coffee etc clean towels everyday, air con/heating. Overall lovely stay, friendly staff & comfortable rooms I would definitely return again.

    « Lovely »

We arrived at the hotel alot earlier than expected and the staff were kind enough to let us in our room which we didnt expect to be ready. I went with 3 other friends and we booked separately so they managed to get our rooms together for us which was very nice. The atmosphere in the hotel was lovely, modern and very clean. The rooms were gorgeous, i wanted to take the beds home with me they were so comfy. Air con provided and a smart tv. If i had to be picky the coffee machine was a little bit complicated and you had to ask at the desk for more milk, but the staff were very friendly.

    « Great value! »

Stayed for 2 nights for my fiancés birthday having originally booked CitizenM but later seeing Best Western on trip advisor and changing my booking. We arrived around 10.30pm and checked in using the self service machine although staff were available. Corner room on 3rd floor was very spacious, massive bed and fab bathroom with underfloor heating. Coffee machine and water in room was nice touch. Vending machine only had soft drinks and food left in stock not sure if this is because hotel doesn't have an alcohol license. I'm We didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment. Purchased a 2 day tram pass from reception for €12.50 each, tram stops directly outside of hotel every 5-10 minutes and takes approx 15-20 mins to get into the centre. Very easy to use and stops at some great locations along the way which we may have missed had we not been staying out of the city centre. City tax was €6 for 2 nights very reasonable. Be careful if you plan to take a taxi from the airport we were practically mobbed by a large number of taxi vendors all trying to get our custom. It was a little overwhelming and could be quite unnerving to a lone traveller. We took a taxi from the rank feeling this was the best option but got stung and paid €36. Retuning to the airport was much cheaper we got the tram to Central Station and paid €5 each to go direct to the airport instead. If I was returning to Amsterdam I would stay here again.

    « Highly Recommended »

Located about 25 minutes tram journey from Amsterdam station [a two day tram ticket is 12 Euros] this hotel is clean, modern and with friendly staff .The bedrooms are very well equipped and bathrooms are large and trendy. The breakfasts are excellent although "hot" items were only lukewarm. There is also a free and good quality Wi-Fi available. The only faults are that, at the moment the hotel dose not have an alcohol licence,so no beer or wine available and the restaurant food is quite expensive,14.5 Euros for a beefburger.Having said that the meal was hot, tasty and the service was excellent.

    4
    « Heating »

Very nice hotel, rooms very confortable with all the facilities inside. There is also a Nespresso Coffee machine completely free. Well connected to the center of the city with public transport (stop just in front of the hotel). A have had a problem with the heating. The staff was a little bit unkind. We have had a problem with the heating (the room was cold) and nobody was able to solve our problem. However the hotel is very good and I think I will use it in the future.

    « Enjoyable Stay »

This is a friendly, out of town hotel. The staff were all very helpful and the atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant. There is a tram stop right outside the door which takes you into the centre of Amsterdam in around 20 minutes. The rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfast buffet was enjoyable. We drove over from the UK and were pleased to discover that this hotel has a secure car park and plenty of space to park. This was at an additional cost of 15 Euros a day. We hope to make a return visit to this hotel soon!

« Modern Hotel, Great value for money »

We stayed recently at this hotel for 3 nights, Hotel is very nice and modern, The hotel is a little bit far from central district but i liked the location, Tram line right in front of the hotel which takes you into the centre in 15 minutes, "Tram Line 2 , Delflandlaan station , Runs every 5 min , 12.5 euros for 48 hours" The lobby was spacious and beautiful, self check-in/out machine at the lobby, The room was plenty big enough and very clean, bathroom was nice and modern, The breakfast is buffet style with a wide variety, and service was very good, The staff was very pleasant and helpful during our stay, WiFi was available and free everywhere in the hotel, Overall Great Hotel and i would definitely recommend, Negative: The hotel restaurant closes at 11pm and no room service for food is available after this time! and there are no restaurants near the hotel

« Great price, free wifi, nice rooms and a fitness room »

I had to be at the National Aerospace Laboratory for a few days and didn't want to do the 90 minutes commute every day. So after careful browsing I ended up at the Best Western. The rooms are reasonable sound proof, there are some restaurants and shops close. The room was comfy, coffee and tea machine. No fridge though (mini vending machine in the room, didn't try). Parking was 15 euro per day and I did use the fitness room (1st level). So the 75 euro per day including parking wasn't a bad deal. Oh, I could stream my Netflix over the free wifi.

    « No alcohol licence »

This is a nice hotel and easy to get to using public transport. Get the train to central station from the airport. The no 2 tram will drop you outside the hotel. The only thing we were disappointed in is that the hotel doesn't have an alcohol licence. No drinks in the bar area or restaurant. Very odd.

« Great hotel, value for money! »

The hotel is more of a boutique feel, colorful with nice, warm lightings. We stayed in a triple room with 3 beds, room size is acceptable after we did a little rearrangement with the furniture. There was this long table which I think is very useful for putting stuff, especially when we were to stay for a longer period. I really like the luxurious feeling bathroom, long countertop, rainfall showerhead and the scent of the toiletries provided. Tram no.2 is the only transport to the central station and city center, along the way you will see Van Gogh Museum and a few neighborhoods with eateries, minimarts etc. We took the sprinter train from the airport and alighted at Lelylaan staion, about 15 minutes walk to the hotel. I prefer this route as it's faster and more direct, but only recommended if you don't have extra luggage to handle.

    « A wonderful stay »

This hotel is a great choice if you don't mind the 20 min tram ride to town - which is not crowded and a beautiful journey past museums and bridges. The hotel staff always seem very busy checking people in and out - maybe a help desk would be a good idea - sometimes we needed to ask questions but felt we were imposing. The facilities are excellent - very clean - beautiful design - free internet and computer/printing facilities - breakfast looked AMAZING - but book for it in advance or you pay full price - its best to buy the tour operators breakfast package. The room we were given was beautiful and we felt very fortunate to be upgraded and get canal views. It was spotless. Luxurious bathroom with under floor heating - really lovely after a freezing day out! There is an espresso coffee machine in the room, also offers hot water, but the fridge is NOT accessible to put in personal items. So no Fresh milk for tea in the mornings. I had to go down to the buffet in Pyjamas and get a little glass of milk for the room - an inconvenience but no drama! The location of the hotel is nothing to boast about.. not much around. its a business area - but it quiet at least! ALL in all, would definitely go back . We loved it.

    « A great option »

The rooms are modern and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for seeing this beautiful city outside the center. The tram stops just outside the hotel doors and will take you to the museum district or all the way to the central train station. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to get out of the tourist areas and enjoy seeing where and how the locals live.

    « Amazing »

Had the best stay, couldn't of asked for a better hotel. Really didn't mind the 20 min tram journey, we managed to spot things on the way to central so we could hop off and see more. We also quiet liked being out of the central of the city and in a quiet area. Lovely staff, gave us all the information we needed! We are looking forward to returning ??

Lovely hotel, everything was really clean and decorated nicely. The room had everything you could need; an ironing board and hairdryer etc. Staff were very accommodating and I loved that you can check in and out by yourself. It was really efficient and saved a lot of time. The price was brilliant for what it was and transport into the city centre is really easy. The number two tram stops directly outside the hotel and takes ten minutes to get into the centre. Definitely would recommend.

    « So good! »

I stayed here for 3 nights the beginning of January and I absolutely loved it! Staff were welcoming when we checked in and were helpful when checking out, as we wanted to leave our bags in the hotel for a few hours afterwards. The room was a m a z i n g! I loved the quirky carpet, the bed was massive and comfortable and the bathroom was modern and easy to use. We were on the 9th floor and were facing a motorway, which you couldn't hear at all! We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night as we arrived quite late and the food was lovely. Breakfast was also very good with a wide variety. I don't know how anyone is complaining about this place! They must be very picky. I had a brilliant stay and will definitely recommend and stay again.

« A great and extremely affordable option in Amsterdam »

I live in Amsterdam, but I decided to stay at this hotel because I had a Best Western certificate that was about to expire. The location is in the south of the city, but there's a 2 tram stop directly in front that goes to the city center, and you can get to/from the airport using a combination of tram/metro/train which should take you no more than 25 minutes. The hotel is new, I liked that the reception area is also the bar/restaurant and that there's plenty of seating in that area. There are express checkout computers, which is always a great touch. The elevators were lightning fast, I stayed on the 9th floor and was up and down in seconds. The rooms themselves are decently spacious, I stayed in 913, which has a shower (most rooms do not have bathtubs), a small table with two chairs, the windows are a good size, the room had a view of the highway and some water and was pretty soundproof, the tv selection was decent (they have Comedy Central, which is pretty much all I need!), the bed was big and extremely comfortable. The minibar setup is a vending machine-style, with only a small area below that's actually available for free use. I am not crazy about this construction but understand why they've decided to go that route. I felt valued as a Best Western Platinum member (they upgraded me as a result, unfortunately for me, the highest class of room wasn't available). Wifi doesn't require a password and worked well. The restaurant was closed because the cook was sick, which was a shame. I ordered delivery, and it got me to easily, so they facilitate deliveries. It's outside of the center, but if you're budget sensitive, or doing business in Oud Zuid/Schiphol, this is a great option.

« Champagne lifestyle on lemonade budget... »

This place is champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget... Please don't listen to the bad reviews about this place. I can only assume that those people are never happy with anything in life. Yes it is 15 to 20 minutes into the centre of Amsterdam, but on one of the most beautiful and interesting tram routes in the world. I enjoyed the journey everytime and it's not like I had to get somewhere in a hurry, because I was on holiday after all. The staff were really friendly, especially a lady called Joanne, who is a real asset to this hotel. I am struggling to see how some people didn't find this to be the case; maybe you get back what you put out in life. I found them to be incredibly helpful, informative and chatty. We needed a second duvet whilst staying there and the staff got one from an empty room. We forgot to pay for some coffee in the lobby one day and when we returned and told them of our mistake, they said "no problem, it must have been complimentary, with a wink." Nespresso coffee for the room whenever we ran out and asked for more, although it is restocked everyday when the room was cleaned and always served by all the staff members with a smile. This has got to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Great WiFi reception. The room was spacious enough, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was great with under floor heating and heated mirror, so there was no condensation and the shower was the best I have ever used. There are some reviews complaining thst they got their hair wet, because it is a massive shower head. That is why there is a constant supply of shower caps and there is also a hand held shower head in the same shower area! The room was always kept spotless and clean and supplied with toiletries and fresh towels everyday. I simply can't find any fault with this place, especially for the price paid for the rooms. I will definitely be returning to this hotel again next time we visit Amsterdam in the spring. The breakfast was amazing, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice and when I say fresh, it's done infront of you. For 12.50 euros it was incredibly good value and well appreciated on Christmas morning. If you decide on the same morning you want to eat on, it will cost 15 euros instead, but even this would be good value, as there is such an array of food, from cereals, croissants, different breads, fruit, cheeses, cold meats, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, juices, tea and coffee and you can eat as much as you like, so again I find it hard how anyone can complain about the price or quality of the brekky. We walked from the centre of Amsterdam to the hotel one day, which took about 50 minutes, which was a really beautiful walk. There are cafes and places to eat on the way, especailly 5 minutes walk from the hotel towards the centre, on the same route tram 2 takes. There is a Lidl close by, probably less than 5 minutes walk and the hotel room has a small drawer that can keep thing chilled. Seriously, this place is a great place to stay and you will not be disappointed, unless you have unrealistic expectations in life, then you are always going to be disappointed, no matter what...

« Big rooms, close to center, do not ask receptions to call you a taxi »

We booked this hotel 2 days before arrival. Decent price to value. Room was great. Big, spacious on the top floor. Bathroom is also great it has nice shower, tub and heated floors. As everyone is saying hotel si near the center. Tram 2 is in front of hotel (3 euros 1 hour ticket) but for younger people and the ones who still feel young is better to rent a bike and use google maps on your phone to navigate around town, because amsterdam has one of the best bike infrastructure in the world. You can rent one at hotel for 15 euro and 50 euro deposit, or rent one at one of amsterdams bike dealers for 8-10 euros. The thing I didn't like at the hotel is the service. Everything was great until we wanted a taxi. I said to receptions that I want the company that has Tesla cars he said that they do not work with that company??!?! He can't call the different phone number?! I asked for that specific one because earlier we also wanted to gat a taxi and the receptions called one for us, that taxi ripped us of, 25 euros for 3km-5min drive and of course taximeter was off. Don't know if the receptions have some sort of a deal with taxi drivers but that price for short drive is way to expensive. Also when we arrived to book a room the receptions asked us do we want a breakfast for 12,5 euros. We said that we don't want it now but if we change our mind is it ok just to come here and pay the price and eat, he said yes. So two days after we come to reception asking for breakfast and then he said it is 15 euros. When I said two days ago was 12.5 he replied "yeah but you want to eat now, now is 15 euros". Did not get in argument with him. Gave him 30 euros for two of us, he didn't gave me any receipt just a peace of paper he wrote saying we have breakfast for two. Think that 30 euros went to his pocket. Complimets to the cleaning staff. If you press the "please clean button" and leave your room the cleaning staff really makes it clean. Even the shower windows are clean as if there aren't any. All in all very nice, clean hotel with big spacious rooms, good bathrooms but bad service. Would recommend it but wouldn't recommend asking anything extra from receptionists,

« Excellent value close to the center »

We stay here frequently to visit family im Amsterdam and surroundings. This hotel offers very nice rooms at comprtitive rates, especially if you book in advance. Tram line 2 stops right in front of the hotel and brings you into Amsterdam center in 15 minutes. Excellent facility to park your car. Unbeatable price value relationship.

    « Christmas break »

Read a lot of reviews on this hotel and a lot of them had a few down sides about the hotel. I never listen to most of the negative reviews before booking a break like hotel to far out of centre of city and not a lot to do around the area . These things are already stated by the hotel so people should not complain about them after coming home. The hotel is fantastic. Clean, friendly good food and very helpful staff. I had read one review about getting there. They said about getting train from schipol airport to the first stop and then get the metro to the tram and them tram to hotel. They said it saved them money. !! It was a nightmare. We followed there guide and got lost as the system can be quite complicated. Ended up paying for metro tickets that we didn't use because we couldn't find the metro and then had to buy extra train tickets to central station. My advice is take the train from schipol direct to central station about 15 mins and only cost €12 for both of us. Walk outside central station about 20 yards and get the number 2 tram to best western €2.60 each. Stops right outside the front door. We used the number 2 every day. Get a pass. 2 day pass is €7 3 day pass €9 4 day pass €12. These passes allows you unlimited access to all the trams and buses. Trams can get very overcrowded at certain times. The number 2 leaves the hotel about every 10 minutes from 7 in morning till midnight. Trams back to hotel the same. Brilliant system. The hotel l could not praise enough. Sound proof rooms good selection of english tv coffee machine, safe clean towels every day and very comfortable beds. Area is very quiet but at the rear of hotel is lidl shop and a few restaurants. Wifi excellent and also free use of computer and printer in lobby. If you intend going to ann frank house the queue is massive. About 3 hour waiting. Went there first day and thought no way was i standing for 3 hours. Went back to hotel that night and they told us to book it on Internet. Done this and printed tickets out. Cost was €9.50. Only 50 cents more to book online but got our time slot went back next day went to fast track and got straight in. Queues were still 3 hours outside but didn't make no difference to us. Worth the visit. A lot to do in amsterdam. A lot to take in in 5 days. Red light district is a must see. Was a bit worried about all the hype that goes with this kind of area but it is a very safe place and very upmarket part of the city. Crammed with tourists of all ages. Beware the taxi drivers. Will charge you extortionate rates. €40 €50 from airport to Amsterdam. Only down side of holiday was the journey back to airport. Should have taken 15 mins . Train got to airport and stopped. As we were about to get of the doors shut and took us directly on to roterdam about another 25 minutes away. No way to inform anyone but we were left with a child of 13 whos parents had just got off the train. Only before coming into roterdam a train assistant came to us because the childs parents had went to the station office and told them there child was still on the train. They got us off the train at roterdam and said we had 3 minutes to get to another train which would take us back. The assistant came with us and said she had asked them to hold the train . They said they could hold it for 3 minutes. We made it in 3 minutes. Scary as the next train back was not until after our flight was due to take of. Would definitely go back to Amsterdam and would definitely stay in the best western premier. Great hotel.

« Little bit far from center but I liked it. »

Pro / Best: - Big confortable room and well equipped. - Very good breakfast. Cons / Room for improvements: - It is a little bit far from center and the closest market is 4-5 blocks (there are some vending machines inside hotel but were not working). With some planning anyone would be fine... - the check in / out took us half an hour (which I definitely think might improve). I would return... I liked it...

« Amazing Hotel!! Highly Recommend To Anyone Planning A Visit To Amsterdam »

Stayed 3 nights / 4 Days (23/12/15 - 26/12/15). Hotel is situated only 25 minutes by Tram from City Centre. Tram Station located directly beside the Hotel (Tram Line 2 / Delflandlaan station). Hotel room modern, very clean and spacious. Bathroom was large, very clean with heated flooring!! Overall a luxurious stay and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that plans to visit Amsterdam.

    « Truly Memorable »

We checked in during the evening, and I found the service efficient and polite. The room was great - long desk with a shelf above it and a luggage bench next to it, all near the closet and bathroom made the logistics of unpacking, packing, and daily routines very easy. The beds were comfortable. Laundry was simple - bring the bag of clothes to the reception by 9am, and get them back at 6pm on the same day. Shampoo, conditioner, body gel, lotion, soap, vanity kit, shower cap, disposable face towel, sewing kit, comfortable bedroom slippers were all provided in the room. There was a Nesspresso machine with coffee capsules and tea bags in the room too. How nice. These are complimentary. And a little vending machine that dispenses other drinks and snicker bars at a price. So all in all, we were satisfied with the place and suitably impressed. We enquired about eating nearby and were told with a wave of the hand in a general direction that it is just behind the hotel, two minutes away. Okay. Accurate and good information. We discovered the next morning the warmth and hospitality of the place at the dining hall during breakfast! The staff at breakfast were welcoming, special mention of Miloudi and Ilaria who were very friendly and helpful. The buffet spread at breakfast is seriously good - wide variety and deeeelllliiiiiicious! I can't emphasise it enough how good the food tasted. So hearty. I am an Asian breakfast foodie and generally don't like Continental breakfasts but this one was great. In addition to the continent variety - ham, cheese, breads, cereals, yogurts, juices, etc - there were also hot dishes like egg, baked beans, bacon, fried tomatoes with cheese. I loved butter and fruit preserves on toasted bread. Yums. There was ready-squeeze fruit juices, AND a huge orange juicer. Seriously. With fresh whole oranges in full view in the machine. Press the lever and get juice. I had fun anticipating how my orange juice would taste from day to day. There is also a very nice and healthy selection of fresh fruit - apples, oranges, kiwi, banana, plums, grapes. The wide buffet spread also meant that we had no issues getting the fussy child to eat. She went for the cupcakes, peanut butter, nutella, and a banana everyday, with hot milk. She loved the hot milk. We had all the necessary components of a balanced diet at the breakfast. Location-wise, it is about a 15min tram ride into the city centre. Tram No. 2 ( very nice trams, much nicer than Tram No. 5 that we took sometimes in the city centre) stops outside the hotel and takes you into a long stretch of the city centre - eg. Van Balestraat and Rijksmuseum stops for the museum quarter, and Dam or Spui for the shopping. Additionally, there are food outlets nearby -Italian, Lebanese, Argentenian, Chinese. The city centre is very crowded and busy. We much prefer staying here, away from the maddening crowds. It is much more peaceful. It has a gym and a simple games room which our daughter enjoyed after breakfast every morning. Great wifii connection. We took the taxi from Schiphol as we had luggages and a small child. However, it is possible to take a train from Schipol, short ride. The train from Schipol actually stops at the station a walking distance from the hotel before it reaches Amsterdam Centraal. If ever we return to Amsterdam, this would be the hotel we would like to stay at again.

    « 3 night stay »

Took my boyfriend here for his 20th birthday and I spent ages looking for a hotel... I ended up booking this one last minute, and I am so glad we did. The location is perfect, it's quiet and away from the busyness. the tram stop is right outside the front of the hotel and it's a 15 minute journey into the centre. The hotel staff were very lovely, they organised our tramp passes and gave us an early check in as well as letting us leave our luggage at the hotel after check out until our flight. They also organised our taxi back. The hotel room is beautiful. Lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, modern facilities, a reasonable priced mini fridge, smart tv... I don't have one thing to complain about it. Our room was made up nicely every day too. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't comment but I'm sure the food is great. There is a gym and a games room as well as computers with a free printer to use. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and the city is absolutely beautiful. I definitely want to return and we will definitely be coming back to this hotel :) x

    « December stay »

This was a very nice hotel. The one disappointment is that while the website mentions bathrobes among the amenities, these were not provided. At breakfast, some of the silverware had dried food stuck to them. The bathrooms do not include washcloths.

« Nice hotel, ideally located to visit Amsterdam »

It's our 2nd stay this year in the Couture. I would like to classify this hotel as a business hotel with no strings and bells. The rooms are clean, reasonable size and look from a recent vintage. The breakfast I would qualify as good and the staff was I my optic OK. The main reason for returning was its ideal location for sightseeing Amsterdam and visiting the famous museums. The tramline 2 brings you everywhere with € 7.50 (day-ticket) available at the reception desk. And your car can be left in the garage. The weekend rates (early-booking) are quite reasonable.

« Fab hotel! Fab location! »

Stayed here in October for my fiancé's birthday. I had previously ramg the hotel and paid €15 and they put up balloons, banners and a cake for our arrival! Thank you to the staff! It was very easy to get from the airport, cost us around €10 in total for the the both of us to catch a sprinter train then a taxi, took minutes to get there. The hotel was very modern, the room was finished to a high standard, we had the corner room with a fantastic view. Most reviews moan about the distance to get places, it is nof far atall! The tram is literally a few foot steps outside and we used this to get to almost all the sightseeing destinations we visited. It is just outside the main part of amsterdam but it is so easy to travel around. The breakfast was a little expensive but there was a large selection to choose from. There was reviews complaning about an alchohol lisence, but being a city break you are there to view the city not sit in the hotel to drink, hundreds of places to go in dam sqaure for a drink. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

« Great location - Tram 2 gets you everywhere »

Nice rooms, very good location not in the center so it is quiet and clean, still very easily you can get by tram 2 which is just outside of the hotel to everywhere.( You can buy tickets for 24/48...hours). We are a family of 5 so we took two rooms one beside the other. ( pay attention no rooms with connecting door) . The rooms were nice and clean, so were the bathrooms .Beds were comfy which is very important after a long day out with the kids. We enjoyed the breakfast ,not complementary, but everyone found something he or she liked so we could start a long day more easily and more happily. Last day we have left the luggage in the luggage room at the hotel and went out for a nice trip. Returned to take our things and the minivan the reception arranged for us to the airport.

    « Perfect hotel »

If you want to spend some time in Amsterdam and would like to choose the best cost/value I would definitely recommend this hotel. The room was overall clean, but there was a chewing gum on the carpet, which was really irritating for me. The bathroom was nice and modern; however, a person should have a degree in engineering or just take some time to handle the shower in order to avoid sudden cold surprise from the top, especially when you are still sleepy in the morning. Well, modern does not always mean useful. Another slight disadvantage is its distance from the city center as it takes almost 20 minutes to get there by tram.

« Second stay this year, same great experience. »

This hotel is on Tram line 2 so convenient to everything. There's nothing that a guest might need that they haven't thought of. Guests are asked to respect each other by being quiet after midlight, I'm all in favour of this! Rooms are very comfortable and the dressing gowns and slippers add a touch of class.

    « Excellent »

Stayed here the first weekend in December, We had a corner room on the 5th floor which was absolutely incredible, the room was so fresh, clean and spacious, and the bathroom was 5 stars! Breakfast was amazing with a great selection of food. Didn't meet one unpleasant member of staff. The hotel is 20 minutes from the central district of Amsterdam, but unfortunately we found the trams unreliable and confusing as we ended up in the wrong location twice coming out of the city even though we were on the right trams indicated by maps and hotel staff. On the second occasion we ended up in a very bleak place at half 12 at night when the trams stopped and thankfully for google maps were guided back in 36 walking minutes to the hotel.

    « Great stay »

Stayed here for three nights and were very happy. Rooms are very nice, spacious and clean and their prices are great as well. Although it is not located in the city center there is a tram stop right outside the hotel and you can be at the center within 20 minutes. Front desk staff were super polite and accomodating, overall a very good stay.

    « I did like a lot »

Came to Amsterdam for a weekend with a friend. We chose this hotel because it looked like a nice hotel with breakfast included and with easy way to Amsterdam Arena. We came to see Madonna at Ziggo Dome. This is a good choise if you ever need to come for a football or concerts at Arena. We asked for a quiet room and were given one. Beds are comfy and bathrooms are spacious and nice. Size of the room is very good. I really liked this hotel and I am recomending it with pleasure. Breakfast was amazingly good with very many options. Special thanks for a good coffee, hot bread and fresh fruits. This hotel is not in the centre, so we had chipcards for metro, tram and bus. It is the easiest and cheapest way to travel around as much as needed. It takes around 15 minutes or so to Dam square so not too bad. The locals are very helpful everywere, I was impressed. We visited Reijks museum and Food Hallen. Food Hallen is a place to visit if you want to eat like locals seemed to eat..lots of options. With lots of drinks. Not my first time in this city and hopefully not the last one either.

    « Excellent and cheap! »

Took around 20-30 mins to travel from the airport to the hotel by train (inc. walking time - quite a distance from the nearest train station). Though it's not located at the city centre, there are multiple ways to get there in around 20 mins. Paying only 90USD/night for a 2person bedroom, I never expected the hotel to be incredibly clean. Also, the entire place is very nicely decorated - modern design with a hint of colours - very chic. Beddings looks very new. Overall, the hygiene and the environment are both perfect. What I HAVE TO mention is the bathroom, spacious, clean, simple but makes you feel like a queen even though you're paying the price to stay at a hostel (where you share the bathrooms). Bonus is that there's a nespresso machine in the room so you can make your own coffee in the morning.

« Great location and very accommodating »

Rooms are very spacious, we been traveling Europe for a few days, and have to say that this was the largest room we stayed in. The hotel is not too far from the airport. You can easily catch the 69 bus to the tram stop (tram #2). The tram drops you off literally in front of the hotel, and you can take it to and back from the center square with no problems. I wanted to setup something special for my girlfriend and the staff were very helpful. I informed her of what I wanted, how much I wanted to spend and the staff definitely delivered. A+++ service

    4
« Great if you want to stay closer to the airport. »

Nice, new, clean, quiet hotel but if you want to be close to town, I'd stay somewhere closer. The food that we had there was delicious and it is a nice place but as I say a little too far from the centre of town for us.

    4
    « Cost executive »

Very good cost benefit. The team is willing to help, do not always really know how to help. The room refrigerator was not corrected during the week in all sorts of excuses. Forbidden to bring alcohol and even beer to the hotel. (?!). Good breakfast but if you decide to eat, and no announcement the night before .. another 2.5 euros ..

    5
    « Fantastic hotel »

I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants luxury for a small price! In front of the hotel there's a tramstation. Within 15 minutes tram 2 will bring you to the city center. Hotel is very nice, clean and worth the 4 stars.

« Brilliant hotel in Amsterdam »

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for four nights (23rd - 27th nov15) when arrived at the hotel we were to early to check in as our flight was early, so we decided to have a walk around the local area and found a lidl only 5 min walk from the hotel ( for people who like a drink this is your best option to take something back to your hotel room) as the hotel doesn't have a alcohol license ( didn't bother us) once it was time for us to check in the receptionist told us that their systems were down and there wasn't any possible way to check in, so we took a seat and waited until we could. There is a self service check in which we were offered but we told the receptionist we are paying by cash and not card she then told us that we cant pay by cash so we again went to sit back down. We waited over an hour patiently and didn't complain. When we were told we could finally check in we were told that our room had been upgraded from the standerd double we had booked to a large comfortable king room. We were very thankful for this. Once in the room and put our things down we had a nosey we did not use the nespresso machine but seemed a good thing to have for people who drink coffee. The shower was so luxurious as it was a rain shower. Room was always very clean i am a very nit picky person and i did have to re make the bed a few times but was never anything serious for me to complain about. The television is a smart tv and had bbc iplayer on it but it doesnt work because its not being played in england so why they even had that option i do not know. There were a few english channels on the tv such as bbc 1 bbc 2 fox and comedy central all other British channels we watched on the tablet we bought with us online. The breakfast was really good we had it twice and there was an option of hot food such as scrambled eggs small sausages ( my boyfriend said were good) beans, tomatoes and bacon. Also many varieties of juice and cheeses and hams and meat. The transport to and from the airport is a bit expensive €35 each way. There is also a tram stop right outside the hotel the number 2 we got 2 four day tram tickets for €21 each which was a fantastic price. Very easy getting the tram back to the hotel too from Centraal station in the centre. It takes about 15-25 minutes on the tram to get to the centre with many stops on the way such as museums, vondlepark, "coffee shops". We would stay at this hotel again it was great and there is a lovely little spot across the road from the hotel if you fancy chilling near the hotel. Lovely hotel.

    « Something missing »

Lovely hotel and rooms with great facilities but just felt that the staff could be friendlier and less standoffish. Didn't appear to know much about things around the hotel either. when away it's nice to relax in the evening with a drink but unable to do so here due to new Amsterdam licencing laws making it a dry hotel. It is a little bit out of the way too but personally I enjoy the team or metro ride in and out and there is a tram stop right outside the front door.

« Great place to stay in Amsterdam »

I love the hotel as it is located at a very serene place in Amsterdam, 13-15 mins away from the main train station. The room was nice & clean, the buffet breakfast was good as it offers a wide array of selection, wifi is free everywhere in the hotel. This is one of the best budget hotels I have had on our 10-day Europe trip and I definitely recommend it.

Well i was in Amsterdam from 19Nov-22 Nov'15, I choose this hotel because of its good reviews and really it is fab hotel to stay after my expeirnce there . Pros: Away from Hustle bustle and crowded places Tram Station Right adjacent to Hotel 2 min walking distance Rooms are fancy with modern amenities Food is excellent and got wide range of morning buffet. Go for top floor , nice view Express self check -in , saves your time Cons: Nothing to see near by Have to walk about 10 min to get to any nearest kiosk No bar in the hotel Limited dinner menu Last tram 12.15am from central station WELL overall experience was really superb and we really good time . Thanks to Mr. Agni and also other staff for help when ever needed. I must very energetic and responsive. will recommend to others.....

« Fabulous stay in Amsterdam »

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. First need to say the hotel was spotless, breakfast buffet was amazing, (and I have seen a few bad ones in Amsterdam) everything you could want. Even bacon and sausage, not just cheese and cold meat. The room was fab and very modern, highlight for me was the Nespresso coffe machine - great!!!! The hotel is about 15-20 minutes in the tram which stops right outside the hotel the No 2 which runs every 5 mins, as we never waited longer to get one. The hotel can sell you a tram ticket for 1,2,3 or 4 days which is cheaper than getting on tram. 12 euros for 48 hours. The tram stops right outside central station track 2. We travelled from schipol airport to Amsterdam central in train then got a taxi to hotel from here which was a rip off 36 euros and we were in the taxi for 30 minutes. get the tram and tell the conductor what hotel you want and they shout it out when you arrive - don't get ripped off. In return to airport the train station is a 10 minute walk from hotel and one stop away from airport about 15 mins Would definitely go here again as although not in the middle of Amsterdam central it was lovely on the tram and we jumped off at places along the way and seen much more of the beautiful city other than the main streets. Have a great stay ??????

    « Fabulous hotel »

Stayed here for 2 nights when visiting Amsterdam and I absolutely loved this hotel. It was very modern and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were soundproof which allowed me to get a great nights sleep. I loved the feature which allowed you press a button on a panel which informed staff if you wanted your room cleaned or not to disturb. Absolutely loved the smart tv and Nepresso machine, very nice touch to the room. The staff were friendly and were always available to provide assistance when needed. I also appreciated the option to leave our luggage in the luggage room as our flight was late in the evening. Only downfall was the location, it took about 20 minutes on the tram to get to the city centre but the tram number 2 did run frequently. The hotel was situated close enough to the airport too. Also there were not alot of restaurants, cafes or shops in the area and it was hard to find any. The hotel did not have an alcohol licence at the time I visited, this was not a problem to me but just a warning to others. I would definitely stay here again if I was to visit Amsterdam again.

« Great value for money in a modern hotel! »

Great value for money with a lovely spacious room. Quiet area so was able to chill out in peace. Tram stop right outside of the hotel which takes you into the centre in 25 minutes. Staff were really helpful and made us feel welcome.

    « 4 day break »

Nice hotel, easy to get to from the airport, we got the train from Schiphol airport to Lelylaan 8mins, metro 50 for 1 stop you can then walk the 400 mtrs to the hotel or get the tram 2 for the 1 stop. Good value breakfast before you head out. OK no bar but there is a Lidl only 200mtrs from the hotel! so if you get a bottle of wine from there you can keep it in the chilled draw under the fridge (not working as they don't sell any alcohol. Would definitely stay at this hotel on another visit to Amsterdam.

« A quiet hotel in Amsterdam! Miraculous! »

We last visited Amsterdam in 2000. We stayed in the Amstel Botel - and my goodness, it was noisy. One night, we were kept awake until 5 am - a perfect storm of thin walls and guests who were 'partying'. A significant proportion of tourists in Amsterdam go there for a coffeeshop / red light district / boozeup / stag night experience. And good for them. But you don't want to be in the next room to them. And you don't want to stay in the sort of hotel that caters for them, believe me. And you don't want to hear them shouting outside at 3am. Well this hotel is quieter than the sound of an angel's tears dropping onto cotton wool. For starters it's in a humdrum suburb, with no adjacent bars, skunk retailers or knocking shops. Also it's heavily soundproofed - the windows, doors and corridors seem to muffle all noise. Then there's the location - it's 20 minutes by tram from the centre, which is a bit of a deterrent to those who want to get hedonistic. It's also a decent place to stay - it's relatively new, the rooms are well-appointed, and it's really good value. Breakfast at 12.5 euro each was good. The tram is a bit of a bummer. If (like us) you made the journey in and out of the centre twice a day then that's nearly an hour and a half of travel. However - it's a frequent, reliable service. But bear in mind that you'll need to factor the cost of tram tickets into your stay (a day pass is 7.5 euro each - but you'd face the same expense even if you were a 10 minute tram journey away). We enjoyed our stay and had no complaints. We would stay here again, definitely.

« Value for Money, Spacious, modern but a little bit out of city center »

i was in Amsterdam for short vacation of 3 nights. I booked a twin bed room just one month before my arrival, but the price is a definitely a steal! THE ROOM Spacious! plenty of room to walk around and place your luggage. The twin bed is adjacent to each other. the air condition is working fine (can't open the window to let winter breeze get in). There are a wardrobe, safe deposit box and slippers! My room has a nice view to the street. The room is clean! THE BATHROOM Definitely too big for a bathroom without a bathtube. I wouldn't mind if they scale down the bathroom to give even more space for the room. Provided amenities are complete, but often lacking. for example, they only provide one small tub of shower gel and shampoo for two person? that will last only for one bath. Toohbrush set is not provided, you should request and its free of charge. The rain shower is really nice, and the temperature is easy to adjust. One issue is.. the lighting is seems to be operated by a motion censor located in front of the bathroom door. It will trigger light on when it detects movement. However, when you are sitting on the toilet, or inside the shower box, it doesn't detect that as a movement and it will kill the light after like 5 minute and everything goes dark.. lucky there is still some light from the window. They really should fix this. THE LOCATION a bit of out of centre. but the tram number 2 stops in front of hotel door. The tram will bring you to Museum area (Van Gogh, Rijks and etc) in 15 minute. and another 15 - 20 min will bring you to city centre (Dam). There are nothing else to see around the hotel, and there is no convenience store, so that is the only downside. Getting here from the airport is quite easy, take the train to Lelylaan station (about 3.7 euro one way), and take metro number 50 for one stop. and continue with tram number 2 for another stop. One might suggest you to just walk about 800 meter between the Lelylaan station to the hotel, but i wouldn't recommend to do so, especially if you are dragging your luggage with you. THE SERVICE check in and out was a breeze, the receptionist staff seems to be doing more than just 'receptionist' job as they also handle room service (and also bartending?). THE FACILITIES wifi internet is free and fast without password. There is gym facilities but i didn't use. You can purchase the transportation ticket (24hr, 48hr, and etc) from the receptionist too CONCLUSION its definitely value for the money. i have to admit that the location is a bit off, but the tram stop location, the spacious room and bathroom, pays it all back. recommended (unless i can find something else closer to the center, don't mind the smaller room)

« ?Great Value for Money! We all enjoyed our stay.? »

Excellent food! We enjoyed our meals there, friendly, helpful staff. Tram stop just outside the front door where we could purchase multiple day tickets. Best rain shower I have ever enjoyed...Just a very nice Hotel all in all. A little far out from the city center but that in itself is a good thing; quiet location.

    « New nice hotel »

A very nice hotel that has excellent staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and ours had the added touch of a nespresso machine in the room :-). The hotel breakfast and dinner was very good and reasonable. The location is a little way out (15 mins tram to museum district and 25 to central station) but the tram stop is right outside.

« Nice hotel, but DRY. »

Pleasantly situated in a quiet area. Room was very comfortable and had all you'd expect. Good breakfast selection to choose from and evening meals couldn't be faulted, apart from the absence of any sort of alcohol. They need to get this sorted.

    « Excellent choice »

Needed to stay in this area to visit realatives, this hotel proved to be an excellent choice, self service checkin/out was a new experience which worked very well, room was spotless bed very comfortable, would recommend this hotel if you don't mind being slightly out of the main centre, although No 2 tram stops almost outside which runs direct to the centre.

« Great time in Amsterdam. »

Went for a long weekend to Amsterdam and stayed at the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel Couture lovely hotel and great links to the city centre as there is a tram stop outside the hotel. The rooms were very modern and the beds very comfy everything was top draw would defiantly go back.

    « Very nice experience! »

This hotel is located in Amsterdam West. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main center, yet surrounded by a peaceful area and a little canal. Tram station is just outside the hotel and would take you to the center in 15 to 20 mins. We discovered a great bargain store, a grocery and kebab restaurant around the corner. Ask the front desk for the directions! The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed and very comfortable. Great to travel with a baby. There was even a coffee machine! Very nice staff who also helped us with an early check in. Great experience and highly recommended! Would have been an even better experience if breakfast was included in the rates.

    « Really comfortable! »

We were pleasantly surprised by the really stylish decor. Very comfortable and quiet hotel. A bit disappointing with regards to the advertised "airport shuttle". We booked this hotel because they said the offered an airport shuttle. I interpreted this as a free hotel shuttle to and from the airport. This is not the case at all. There is a shuttle at the airport that will take you to the hotel for €17/pp. Basically a taxi. We ended up taking public transit. It involves a train and a tram and a walk for a few blocks. This cost us €25 total for 2 people where the "airport shuttle" would have cost €68. It took 40 minutes to get to the hotel via public transit. They also charged us for a local call after giving us the number. They didn't mention the charge for the call when providing the number for us. I thought that was poor customer service. Great room, ok price, ok service, misleading advertising.

« A good hotel that we would use again »

We stayed for a long weekend in August 2015. Superb sized room, very clean and fresh. Wonderful bathroom and shower. Our only complaint though was that they could not sell alcohol. Some issue with the license I believe. Breakfast was good however we found a local bagel cafe by a canal that we preferred. Good value too.

« Beautiful Hotel - so glad we stayed here! »

We decided to stay here mainly because the hotels closer to downtown were so expensive. We were very happy with our choice!! Hotel is about 15-20 minutes or so from the airport. There is a shuttle for 17 Euros per person but we took a "unofficial" cab which cost us 30 total. Apparently only certain "official" taxis can go on the airport but a gentleman asked if we needed a taxi and brought us just across a parking lot. Very comfortable van, courteous driver and no issues. I guess this hotel is fairly new. We were in room 714, a triple, which looked out over the park across the street and city. It was a nice view, especially at night. The room was fantastic. Plenty of space for the three of us (traveling with college age daughter on semester break) and very modern. Bathroom was huge compared to the other European hotels we had stayed in and was very nice! No "do not disturb" door handle hangers here, but a touch pad inside the room that notifies the pad at the door to not disturb. Also to request the room to be made up as well as a door bell by the door! We did not do much else except sleep here for the two nights that we stayed so I cannot comment on the food or other amenities. We arrived early so our room was not ready yet. The hotel stored our luggage while we headed to the old city districts. The staff was very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The front desk sells tram passes so we purchased our passes there. The tram stop is just in front of the building so very easy to find and maybe a 15-20 minute ride to central station, which is the last stop so shorter if you want to get off before there. The hotel did offer breakfast for E12,50 if prepaid at check in and E15,00 if paid that day. We did not have breakfast there so I can't comment on the quality but did walk through one day and it looked pretty good, not sure if it is worth that much so you will have to decide. We did not do much else other than sleep here but we slept well and comfortably. WiFi was excellent in our room and really fast compared to some of the other public WiFi we have used. I would stay here again without question considering the price vs location, well worth the slight inconvenience of hopping on the tram to get to town, plus much quieter here than in town.

    « simplicity of perfection »

Everything was easy when we were staying in this hotel.Transportation was no problem by near hotel bus station. If you r searching only a place to stay for sleep it was clean and secure it was simple and enough for us.Prices was normal.Room was clean and enough.

« Outside city centre and quiet »

Although this hotel is quite far from the city centre it is conveniently right at the tram station on line 2. The benefit is that can enjoy some peace and quiet at night and have beautiful parks to walk or run. The breakfast was buffet style with a wide variety. The internet connectivity was good. The rooms are quite comfortable. The gym provides basic equipment.

« Great hotel in Amsterdam »

Great hotel with huge rooms and great views. Tram stop is right outside the front door with travel time to and from the centre between 10 and 20 mins depending on where you are headed. Would definitely stay here again!

« Great short stay in Amsterdam »

Good sized room with a great view of the city, comfy beds and a perfect location. Tram #2 stops right outside the hotel & takes roughly 20 minutes to reach the city centre. Overall a great stay and would definetly go back.

« The best 4* hotel you can imagine »

Clean, tidy, polite and knowledge receptionists. Very friendly people, no hidden charges, fantastic facilities. Breakfast choice was fantastic! Great selection of fresh bread, meat and cheese snd quality coffee for the price of ?12! Tram at the door steps to the centre of Amsterdam! 10 minutes to train station Lelyilan. I'd choose this hotel again without a doubt!

    « Great modern hotel »

My husband and i booked here for our first time in Amsterdam because our friend booked here and we did so out of convenience. But turned out we had a great stay because of a wonderful room with complete amenities (although I'm not used to the new style of its mini bar (similar to a vending machine)) and very good service. What stood out was the great room with a great view and very good service mostly from the staff who welcomed us and helped us with our self check in (which is, btw pretty cool) and on the day of our check out, a staff member who was only supposed to ask if i was checking out turned out helping me out with bringing my luggage down to the lobby (one unfortunate thing though is they don't have porters in the hotel). The hotel is not in the city center but the tram is right in front so transportation is very convenient and going to and from the city center is not a hassle (it takes about 30 minutes to get to Konigsplein).

« Nice Hotel with Friendly Staff »

First of all, I like this hotel because this hotel is very new with a nice eco friendly designed building. So many glasses with less lightning, so this hotel is designed to save energy and environmentally friendly. Upon checked in, I was told that my room was upgraded to a bigger and more luxurious, for free, absolutely at no additional charge. I gave two thumbs up on this to the hotel management and the staff who served me of course. The lobby was spacious, with a minimalist contemporary modern interior design. There are plenty of couches and chairs in the lobby, so no one had to stand because out of seat, like my other previous hotels. The room was very spacious with a large and comfortable mattress. The bathroom was very big. The interior of room and bathroom was amazing. The internet wi fi access in the room is excellent. Staffs were very friendly and worked fast. This hotel is very accessible from/to the airport, is just approximately 30 minutes by taxi. To the city center and other point of interest is also very easy. Just take the number 2 tram toward Amsterdam Central Station. The tram stop is just right in front of the hotel. The only thing this hotel need to improve was just they need to add more reception/front desk staff, to avoid an overcrowding situation at the lobby area and a long waiting time for people to check in/out or other inquiries with the reception/front desk, because the short number of the staff. Other than that, everything is perfect in this hotel. Eventually, this hotel is strongly recommended.

    « Overnight in Amsterdam »

Great heating and air conditioning in the rooms. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was a very decent size actually larger than I thought it would be. Their breakfast is very well worth every penny (12.50 euro pp). The selection was quite diverse and very good. They have an orange juice squeezing machine so you can have your orange juice fresh! The room, lobby, grounds and restaurant was very clean. Right out the door is the tram and takes you to right in the middle of the city - was GREAT for us!

« Great very new hotel »

Stayed here on business for 4 nights. The hotel is in a quiet part of Amsterdam but very close to the museum district which is about 10 mins by tram no. 2 (stops right outside the hotel) and also close to Lelylaan train station (15 mins to the airport by train). The hotel is very reasonably priced and only opened a year ago so very new and modern. Lovely spacious rooms with a modern bright feel. Coffee maker in room was a really nice touch. There is a refrigerated drawer for drinks. Beds are comfortable and there is a good shower. We did use the gym which has a treadmill, bike, stepper and basic weights - enough to get a workout whilst travelling. Would recommend Drovers Dog cafe (5 minute walk) for breakfast - we did not eat in the hotel. They are still awaiting their alcohol licence so it's not possible to buy drinks in the hotel lobby or restaurant. All round a great hotel! Would recommend and will come back next time I am in Amsterdam.

    « Great! »

This hotel is very good! It's modern and clean. The staff is very helpful and is always there to recommend restaurants and help you book a table. The hotel is located in a quiet area but it is easy access with the tram to the city center. Breakfast is superb! Would stay again.

    « Very pleased! »

We were 6 friends travelling to Amsterdam, and we stayed in two triple bedrooms. We were all very pleased! The location is very good. It's not necessarily very central, but the tram (line 2) stops right outside the hotel. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic, the beds are firm and comfortable, and the bathrooms seem luxurious. The hotel is also in a very quiet neighbourhood. Recommended!

« Modern and seems likea very new Hotel »

The first impression is that it is a new Hotel, the style is Modern very clean. Breakfast was very good, enjoyed the fresh orange juice that a Machine is squeezing for you on the spot. Didn't had much to do with the staff, but the little I had they were very nice. It is located about 25 minutes of a tram ride to Amsterdam Central Train Station..

    « Excellent hotel. »

Me and my boyfriend recently stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. The hotel is easy to find and only 15 minutes from the airport. The hotel is very well designed, with a sleek and modern finish. The staff were very helpful and answered all my questions with a smile. Our room was a good size, with a large comfortable bed (if you like it quite firm) and all the usual amenities. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch. However, the rain shower was the highlight! You won't want to get out. With the number 2 tram right in front of the hotel you will be able to reach most tourist destinations in good time, which easily makes up for the quiet location. Make sure to check the restaurants and shops nearby; there are some wonderful local gems at good prices. I hope to return to Amsterdam in the near future, and when I do, I will be staying here again.

    « Clean, modern hotel »

We stayed here for two nights the room was lovely, quiet and roomy for the three of us. The hotel is out of the city about 20 minutes on the tram which were very regular and stopped outside hotel. The staff were great and very helpful. If you don't want to be in the city it's perfect. Lots of great restaurants close by.

« Marathon weekend at Amsterdam »

Visited Amsterdam for the marathon to cheer friends. Location is very good for marathon runners. Downtown amsterdam is a few stops away on the train. If you don't mind spending more book a hotel in amsterdam city center for a fully walkable amsterdam experience. Overall a great hotel and great service.

    « Lovely hotel »

Beautiful rooms, great staff, excellent transport links. The only bad thing is that the mini bars are not working yet and so sometimes we had to run to the parking and use the vending to get water in the middle of the night, especially that we were traveling with our one year old. I'd very much rather they either put a couple bottles in every room or a note clarifying if tap water is a good alternative especially if you have a baby

    « Excellent location »

Firstly the location of this hotel was great for us. It wasn't directly in the centre of Amsterdam but the tram line was literally on the doorstep and they were very regular. I would recommend getting a 'three day tram pass' for 25euros as it came in very handy. The trams stop at 12am but there is one night bus an hour to get you back to the hotel if you don't fancy a taxi. The staff on the reception were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was straight forward and our room was on the 10th floor which I personally was really happy with as I like a bit of a view. The decor of the hotel is contemporary and it looks like it has been recently refurbished. The rooms were of a good size and the bathroom was great. No bath tub but a lovely shower. The wifi in the hotel and in our room was of good speed too. I'd recommend the hotels for couples and families as it is a little bit out of the centre and is more peaceful than staying in the centre i'd imagine. I will definitely stay here again if I am to come back to Amsterdam. Great value for money.

« Great hotel within easy reach of the centre »

This is a modern hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. Transport is easy to the city centre as there is a tram stop right outside which takes you to Dam Square in around 20 minutes. The rooms are bright and airy with plenty of lighting. We had a corner room on a high floor with 5 large windows. They are well appointed with plenty of storage and are soundproofed so extremely quiet. The only things we found frustrating were the 15 euros extra per person for breakfast in an extremely busy restaurant and 15 euros extra per day for parking. Maybe they should look at reducing them to encourage customers to stay out of town. There's an excellent Chinese restaurant (golden garden) and a supermarket (for breakfast pastries etc) within 5 minutes walk

    4
    « Dutch Treat! »

Very comfortable large room. Great shower! Tram #2 right out front. Buy a pass for # days staying at reception. You can get around the entire city without a problem. If you want to go to a working windmill take 2 from the hotel to the end of the line Niuew Sloten and take a tour. A short walk to the windmill. Easy. Good supermarket a block behind the hotel in a plaza. Get directions from reception. If you want to see Anne Franks house you have to book a month ahead unless you want to stand in a long, long line to get tickets and then another to get in. This hotel can be reached from the airport quite easily. Get the train from the airport to Llewelyn stop and it is a 10 minute walk to the hotel from the station. Get out of the station, turn left and the turn right and right again. Hotel is just past the Fashion Centre. Watch out for bikes...they have their own lane and do not stop! We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Too expensive. Either hop on the tram and eat downtown or grab supplies at the market. Walk to Wok is a great Chinese place for a quick dinner. Take away or eat in. Wifi at hotel great. The only odd thing about this hotel is that there are no sofas in the lobby. Lots of tables and chairs but if you are waiting for your room to be ready it is not comfortable. Reception staff are helpful. Would stay again.

« Great service, excellent transport links. »

We were allowed to leave our luggage before check-in for free, so we could explore the town without carrying our bags. Returned to the hotel at 14. for check-in, and received a free upgrade because the standard room we were supposed to receive wasn't ready yet. The staff were very polite and friendly. The room itself was spacious yet cozy, with complementary coffee machine and high quality toiletries. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, and the en suite was finished to a high standard. Overall, impressed by this hotel, and would gladly stay again!

    « Top class hotel »

Stayed at Hotel Couture for 3 nights and very impressed. Staff are bright and happy to help with special requests and tourist information. Room was large, immaculately clean and furnished to a very high standard. The hotel is a little out of the City Centre but location is generally excellent - easily accessible from the airport (Use direct link from Schiphol to Leylaan Train Station just 10 minutes' walk from hotel), and trams run every 6 minutes to City Centre from directly in front of the hotel. In all, an excellent hotel - Highly recommended.

« Don't expect any service at this "Hotel" »

They refused to send me a nespresso capsule to my room and wanted me to come down and get it instead (despite a note in the room saying to simply call reception for free refills), refused to serve me any food to my room 5 mins after breakfast time (even though i offered to pay for it) and left me hungry, refused to send someone to help me with the luggage when checking out saying simply that they have no bell boy and most shockingly, they refused to help me out by changing a US$ 10 or by lending me 10 Euro for a tram ticket to make it to the city center where i could have exchanged the money. They preferred to leave me stranded rather than take a blooming tenner from the cash register and put in on my room bill. (The guy at reception looked like I asked him for a spare kidney when I asked him this). A guest who was standing behind me in the queue was kind enough to offer me the 10 Euro. I work in the hospitality industry myself with two successful hotels in Sri Lanka catering mainly to Europeans and i was appalled at the insensitivity, apathy and inconsideration of pretty much every staff member i encountered here and their outward refusal to put a guest's needs above their petty rules. Rubbish. Steer clear of this hotel (if you can even call it a "hotel"). Plenty of other great options in Amsterdam.

« Great stay in a hotel a little out of the city centre »

We stayed here for 3 nights and was a really good stay. Although about 15 minutes on a tram from the main city centre, it was really easy to get to and convenient. The tram stops right outside. It was maybe not the cheapest but great value I think for the room. The room was large, modern and had plenty of space and storage and a large bed. The room and bathroom were both very modern and clean and has all the amenities you would want (smart tv, mini fridge, plenty of sockets including European, UK and USB connections, coffee machine, safe). The bathroom was very spacious and modern. I can't comment on the breakfast as it seemed quite expensive so ate in town. The staff on the desk were friendly and welcoming and there was no problem for luggage to be stored after we checked out to collect later on in the day. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

    5
    « A truly first rate experience »

We spent 10 nights in this hotel and found the room to be excellent, the staff to be excellent, the breakfast buffet and restaurant to be excellent. We would return in a heartbeat. Everything was top of the line. Some may comment about the location but we found the location to be very quiet and the streetcar to the center of Amsterdam to be another way of seeing the city and only 15 minutes long.

    5
    « fantastic value »

As long as your ok with being 15 min (tram time)further outside the city then most of the tourists this place was a great DEAL. Paid on average 115 euro per night +city tax for a large and beautiful modern room in late sept ps went to delft and it was really beautiful as day trip-only 40 min from lelylaan train station(no need to go to central station).

    4
« Comfi hotel Dutch pettiness »

the question is: do you want to pay over 300 Euros for the privilege to be authentic and "shlepp" with a large suitcase up a narrow staircase in the middle of the city or have a state of the art spacious comfortable room with rich breakfast and travel with No.2 tram anywhere the tourist needs to go? We as hard working heavily equipped tourist chose the second option and did not regret it. However hotel staff should advise you-even if you check yourself in -that breakfast will cost less if you pre book it. A discount taxi ordered via the hotel should not cost more than the taxi ride we picked up randomly in the airport. Otherwise the service was efficient and friendly.
