Stayed here for one night with family. 2 rooms were booked. Great hospitality. The room is clean and equipped with latest amenities. Gave accommodation to the driver also. Great food. The drink and dinner at their rooftop bar on a cold winter night was a lovely experience. The staff were helpful and courteous always. Breakfast spread was awesome! The front office team was always ready help us book a cab or guide us to the right Dhabas and shopping and seeing places. Their hospitality made us extend our stay in the lovely laid back city of Amritsar by an extra day! We would gladly recommend the Best Western Merrion to others for a holiday or business stay gladly!

The breakfast is really good with great variety.i really enjoyed the live tea stall the chef is really good with his skills the buffet was not bounded at all.it included both north and south indian cuisine.Chef Joshi was really helpful in letting us know the recipes.The supervisor over there Mr Vijay and Mr.Darshan was really good in providing sevice Enjoyed a lot.

Rooms were ok and food is awesome in term of taste and quality. excellent service by Restaurant staff. but i want to share that i always been there once in a week at roof top Restaurant with my friends and i always observed that your staff at roof top is very touchy and tried to be frank and familiar with us not a single time, i am sharing this thing coz no one is coming there for your staff all will there for have a good time with own circle... so plz instruct your staff for do not that much familiar and touchy specially with teen agers coz that look something else everybody whos coming there is not interested to entertain your staff. plz maintain gap between customer and staff specially at the time of dinner at roof top. rest everything is amazing about the property.

I booked for my cousin and his wife as their weeding present because I was stuck abroad couldn't able to come for his wedding. They faced very bad experience in this hotel. Whole night disturbance by staff and found a hair in their food. They still charged them for food with this excuse that they replaced. Not recommend to anyone at all. Please choose something better and save your money from this disappointment. No need to pay them a-lot of money and face these type if things.

Came to Amritsar for some company work and stayed at this hotel for 2 days. The stay was amazing and comfortable. Helpful staff and big luxurious rooms. The food was good and the rooms were very neat and clean.

The staff was very approachable and helpful. The breakfast was good. They arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and then back again at the end of our stay. The suite was very good with comfortable furniture and the bed was comfortable too. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 days with family. The hotel amenities are great however i didn't like the fact that we were charged Rs1,000 for ordering plain rice with dal in room. This is super expensive by any standard.

A short work trip to the friendly town of Amritsar. Room with a nice view, spacious bedroom and bathroom, laundry done promptly, delicious curry supper. Think i left my favourite slippers behind though?

We booked 2 rooms for a night so was not able to check out hotel completely. There were several parties going on but still the room service was very quick. We were on floor 3 and the moment we gave them a call within few minutes it was catered too. We highly appreciated the service.I do find that hotel parking is bit less which can be expanded.

Stay is good with popular landmarks within 5 km radius. Helpful staff and spacious well designed rooms. Roof top pool, gym and open restaurant are a nice offering case you get this at a reasonable price. Can be further supplemented with kids play zone and better entertainment options though. Stayed with my family for two nights. Not a property to stay long for. Food is good, but service can be delayed when they have multiple parties going on. We had to wait for 45 minute on first night as other parties was on. However Serving staff was super quick and managed to keep us happy. Swimming pool is horrible, small as a Bath Tub. Very Dirty at times. Front end team needs to be trained on customer etiquette. Body language is not upto the mark and you don't feel welcomed at all. Breakfast is OK types but not the WOW ones.

I found- all the staffs were helpful, courteous, friendly and well trained. It was from beginning to end of our stay, I never felt that am out of my home. Location is centralised located in amritsar Rooms are clean spacious, and having good view from window All aminities available in room as well as in bathroom Staff is courteous and services is fast. I visited Amritsar with my mother and brother. We had a lovely stay here. The room was good, food awesome. My mother needed a wheelchair which they provided us for the entire day. Very nice hospitality. Highly recommended! Aarvi and staff very helpful

This place is pretty much centrally located. Overall a decent stay. The front office staff is well informed, the rooms are nice up to the standards of best Western, the breakfast was also decent having options of both veg & non veg, cereals, a good section of bakery. Very Poor Staff courtesy at front desk ., Front manager was so rude and discourteous ... even charged for ice served in room..., I asked him never had to pay for ice bucket but he rudely flatly refused to cancel the charge.

Food doesn't have good taste. Unprofessional staff, Sad or Confused faces.Limited option in breakfast. Only Front desk staff is little professional rest of the staff either lacking experience in hotel industries or hired from some banket/Motel.

We had a terrible experience with the Best Western Merrion, and especially with Kartik, at the front desk. I sent an email outlining our experience, to the two email address listed for the hotel, and received no response. Would absolutely not reccomend staying. We had made a reservation for a twin room (with two beds) and sent a follow up email to confirm the availability of two beds. No one responded to the email. Upon arrival we were advised by Kartik no twin beds were available, despite our booking, and while they had seen our email, he hadnt bothered to respond. While attempting to get a refund or resolve the situation, Kartik was incredibly rude and unpleasant, and unhelpful. The biggest insult is that rather than help us while we were waiting, he proceeded to respond to our email, that he had ignored, while we were there, to give the appearance of competence. In the end, our credit card company issued a refund (without any help from the hotel).

Very good experience. Easily reachable from any side of Amritsar. Very calm and quiet and lovely atmosphere. The entire staff of reception, restaurant and room attendants were very much cordial. Surroundings are very pleasant.

Located in the newer side of Amritsar in Ranjeet Avenue which is outside the main old city. The rooms are not too big but decent in size. Service is just ok. We even noticed the dirty upholstery and even the pillow covers were all stained. No major issue as such ,but better options are ample in this area.

Used toiletries were kept in the washroom, shower was not functional. We took room with bath tub in the washroom but bubble bath gel was not available. Internet speed was very slow. Some itwms in the breakfast buffet were not cooked properly.

Hi At the end of our journey n final visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib ( Golden Temple ) before boarding our flight back to Mumbai we stayed at best western merrion whch is well located in a quiet place n easily accessible. Check in was smooth n v were alloted 2 rooms of whch 1 had a pungent smell so requested the reception guy to change the room but the other given was no better so they tried to compensate by giving us 50 % discount on food bill. Rooms were comparatively small n overall the hotel doesnt quiet justify a 4 star category hotel given to it , still the staff though small in numbers are very courteous & food tht v ordered was ok but yes the breakfast was good spread.. I wud rate the overall stay as 6.5 out of 10

we stayed here for two nights.The hotel is good but the room service staff are not very competent.they misunderstood many things and we are woken up at 11.30 one night for water when we have not asked for it.The food is good specially the breakfast is great better than many 5 star properties that i have stayed in.The taste of the food was really good and they changed the menus every day.The dinner was ok not much variety was there on MAP the same menu both evenings.They should care to provide some starters.overall good experience,smooth check in and check out and pick up and drop to airport was on time.while we checked out no one was sent to pick up our luggage which should not be the case.overall good experience

On 18th of February we held a birthday party at this place, which was recommended by my nephew. They were brilliant, decorated the room and provided excellent service. On the whole it was quite reasonable plus the food was very delicious.

Think beyond Radisson Blu. It's a value for money. Somewhat better than park inn. Less than 30 minutes from airport, five star amenities in rooms, courteous staff, beautiful location. Try it and find it.

The hotel is located in Ranjit Avenue . Its a nice property to stay in. The staff is very cooperative. Being a localite, we have organised many family functions here. Food is always great here. They have roof top terrace with swimming pool.

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. The location is good and the rooms are decent. Room service was slow and the breakfast menu was quite ordinary. Food lacked flavour. Golden temple is a short ride away from the hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the Golden Temple, Wagah Border and Jallianwalah Bagah. We arrived really late so check in was swift albeit couldn't have a card to the room as issues with the machine so collected in the morning. The room was spacious and clean. It was a little cold and therefore damp as I couldn't get the temperature up without having a noisy AC unit going. The breakfast was typical Indian fare but enough to make a reasonable meal and tea and toast. The restaurant was really nice, the drinks were expensive compared to Goa at 310INR for a Kingfisher beer as opposed to 120INR in Goa! Meal was excellent and good quality again there is 2 X 8% taxes to add to the meals so beware! Location is a distance away from the GT so is quiet and away from the manic chaotic nature of the city centre. Not a lot else around the hotel, we did have a pizza across the road at lunch time before going off to the Wagah Border rather than eating in the hotel. Plenty of water in the room for tea and coffee with a non-alcoholic mini bar in the room.

Stayed here in Jan 2018 on republic day weekend this place is located in posh Ranjeet Avenue which is outside hustle bustle of Amritsar city however had very good access to city and golden temple . Rooms are of standard quality nicely lit good for families.

We stayed at this property beginning of this year. Could not get round to writing a review earlier on. We had a very comfortable stay, rooms were very clean, excellent breakfast. Live music in the evenings and excellent food in the restaurant. GM Lovelesh Sondhi and Aarvi at the front desk, excellent personalities, always willing to go extra mile in guiding/helping guests with their requirements. We had an enjoyable stay and strongly recommend this hotel. We wish we can pay another visit to this city and stay at this particular hotel., Keep it up.

The hotel located in Ranjeet avenue is near to the golden temple yet far from all the hustle bustle. Its well equipped, clean rooms and the room size is also good and at par with other chain hotels in that area, I may say better than the golder sarovar portico and cheaper.

Decent enough to stay but location is a bit empty. 20 min max auto ride to golden temple and not far from airport. Its not the city but plenty of pubs n bar nearby. You can stay if u prefer to quite and discreet loc.

Good hotel, close to Railway station ( pay 100-150 Rs max to travel in auto from Amritsar railway station to the hotel), Airport also close (10 KM). Nice location,clean and quite. Rooms good, nice staff, food OK.better to eat have lunch and dinner outside somewhere.I ended up paying more than the hotel is worth of by booking on yatra website.do check rates available on make my trip or other web sites. Starting from Check-in, rooms, services, ambiance, everything is perfectly great. Food is so delicious. Rooms are well maintained. Hotel staff is very polite and co-operative. Located approx. 3-4 kms from Golden Temple. Swimming pool on the roof top is another attraction fro this property. Wifi connectivity is good. The only concern is that there is only one lift which is so compact and operates very slow.

One of the best hotels in Amritsar. ***** From service to the quality of the room,it was all perfect. Also thanks for the complimentary cake for celebrating my Birthday. Not only this,my room was also upgraded on one single request and provided me a Royal suite.

The hotel location is very good, ample parking space. The staff is very polite and we have enjoyed the stay to the fullest. Dont forget to try their delicious food. The small pool at the roof rop is an added fun to our stay.

I read the good record and decided to stay there with my family. But in my experience, this is an average hotel. The hotel ambience is good. But few basic features are lacking. The hotel has Central air-conditioning. The temperature of AC will reset to 17 degrees in the night on its own. My 2 year old was with me and he fell ill due to this. On the first day of our stay, water started dripping from the AC duct into my wife's plate while we were having breakfast. We calmly reported it to the the staff thinking that they are not aware of this. We choose a different seat the next day. We saw the lady sitting on the first day's seat complaining of the water dripping into her plate. This is not acceptable. There is not good coordination between the reception and house keeping. 2 hour time is not enough for them to get the room cleaned. The pool was full of mosquitos as 8 am Having said all this, I must say that few of the staff members are very nice and courteous. We forgot our I phone in lobby and the staff had honestly kept it secure till we returned. The breakfast is also very good and starts at sharp 7 am.

Visited in Feb on a month tour to India. Good basic rooms, food fine but problems on one night with inconsiderate guests partying next door. Is a bit out o0n a limb from main areas of interest but fine for a couple of nights. Large shopping complex next door Bar staff attentive-Nice to have a happy hour

Theybhavevno concept of customer service. The pool was dirty, staff was rude. Management is non responsible. They have no idea what they promise is being delivered or not. I have never written down negative review for any one, but you can imagine how bad my experience would have been with them.

Provides the best facilities in a reasonable price. Hospitality is great and the staff is really welcoming. Interiors have a western influence which makes stay more enjoyable. Apart from that the concept of rooftop pool is amazing for a stargazer like me it's the best way to chill in the evening beneath the stars. Liked this place alot.

Stayed with a friend. Checking in at 10 p.m. was a breeze. Got nice food through room service at 11:30 p.m. even when the restaurant was closed. All the amenities in the room except for the TV were working fine. Would recommend for a short or long stay.

Located at an excellent location in Ranjeet Avenue Rooms are spacious with nicely laid out facilities The corners rooms are superb with full life sized windows in two sides and provide an excellent view at night Check in and check outs are quick. Been a Best western Gold Reward Member , and this was certainly not Best western standards . The Rooms are run down , the cleanliness is not visible . The Amenities are not great , and even if you are away from the elevator , there is ample noise . More so the Curtains are shabby along with the breakfast which is also too sedate and outdated . Nothing in this hotel made us believe that we were at a Best western . When asked about service to ask anything that is needed by the guests , the service staff has a rude shrug to what we say . The only person with a big smile and warm welcome was the Door Man .

This was our second visit and were really surprised at how the quality (room and service) has gone downhill. We were constantly disturbed by the room service people at odd hours asking us if we wanted the room clean. When we would say no, there would be another person knocking at our doors (we had booked more than one room) after an hour asking again if we wanted cleaning. It got to the point that we had to complain to the front desk. However we continued to get employees knocking at our doors at odd hours-perhaps they figured that we were not in the room -thankfully we never leave valuables in our rooms. We would not suggest this place, there are some better hotels around, skip this one.

Visited in April along with my brother for 2 days and was in for a rude shock in terms of service. They called us up at around 12 noon on the day of checkin and asked us about checkin timings. We also asked them to arrange for a car for next day travel but they finally got back to us only at 830 pm in the night. Don't know why it takes so much time! Once we checked in we were made to wait for 15-20 mins because they had arranged for 2 separate beds - Surprising that when they called us in the morning to inquire about checkin timings, they completely missed this... In the room, there is a smell of liquor, the TV remote doesn't work and the electronics guy was hell bent on proving that the TV can't be operated with remote and can be done only manually (only STB remote works). The room service didn't replenish our towels (had to remind them) and the toiletries. The only advantage of this hotel is its location. Rest is quite disappointing

We checked into a suite around 4pm and there were no towels in the room. On asking we were told towels were being washed, and were provided a quick two towels but it didn't look clean! The carpet in the room needs to go!!!! The staff needs to be trained in hygeine and service. The people are extremely nice. The Kulcha Land is walking distance from here, otherwise, there isn't much in the neighbourhood.

Hotel is nice n foods are good but expensive.Location of hotel is far from Golden temple but hotel area is clean an peaceful.It is near to railway station also.Near by area is full of shops and offices.

A bit out of the hustle and bustle of the center of Amritsar and around 25 mins drive from the Golden temple, this is a warm and friendly hotel. The staff are really good and helpful. The rooms are big and good for family. We stayed there with our 1.5 year old kid recently and the stay was comfortable. (Keep a note that they do not provide baby cot in the room). The food including the breakfast was really good. The only negative i felt about the hotel that it was very compact in size compared to other best western hotels i have been. What to say for a hotel like this... Despite everything being in place the troubles were unnecessary. The room Service of hotel is absolutely fabulous during evening and night hours, the time taken to deliver, temperature of food, clearance, taste was all wonderful. Housekeeping however had been slow at times. Shower in the room had varying pressure as in water pressure was varying cyclically. Food at buffet breakfast was cold and parathas were very dry and hard...

Stayed there for a night.Chose this place over County inn and Golden Tulip and what a mistake it was! The room was just average with partially stocked mini bar.The rtoiletries provided were average and worst was the shaving kit with an 8 Rs local razor. The breakfast buffet was limited and the worst part was that it was in a makeshift hall instead of a restaurant.Service was super delayed (Sauce was served after I finished my Omelette) Location is OK.There is nothing great about it as it is far from the city center where real action is

Located centrally and very close to the golden temple which is great.. Warm and friendly staff and lovely rooms. Overall a lovely stay.. Reason for rating it a 4 star coz we were made to wait for our luggage for 25 mins at the time of check out. We did party for our friends and family of around 140. Uttam Kumar who is manager at this location personally helped us picking the menu and made sure our party went fine and all are guest are happy. Food was awesome. I'm very pleased with the service Best Western provided and I will highly recommend this place for parties and functions.

I was there for an event in Amritsar while I booked my stay for this place. The hotel has the perfect room which shall give you amazing vibes. As soon as you enter it, you feel spectacular. The luxurious rooms herein are as amazing as my write up is. Service is superb as well. Food would steal your heart.

We stayed here for one night for a touristic visit and had a comfortable stay at the hotel. Food quality needs a closer look. The room was a large one and the other 2 rooms we had for the family were comfortable.

The service standards of this hotel is really pathetic, the staff don't really care about anything you ask for, specially the room service. Food is average, breakfast and dinner menu served as buffet is very limited. The aka carte menu is very expensive. The rooms are good with all facilities n amenities. Overall it's an average hotel and expensive. The location is good but about 4-5km away from the main city and golden temple.

This hotel is located just 2-3 kms from Amritsar junction and 7-8kms from the golden temple, It's a 4 star hotel with 40 well maintained rooms, i liked there services. Good food served and attentive staff. Hotel has a roof top pool, an in-house banquet and a restaurant at the first floor. On my next visit to Amritsar , I am staying here only .

Equivalent to 3 star property and not value for money, front desk manager was not at all co operative. . Had problem with check in and check out. . Room and food was fine but expensive.. can HV better room amenities

My flight got cancelled and I reached the hotel much later than expected. The room was reserved and check in was smooth even at early morning. Room size and furniture are decent. The only issue was that the bedding has black spots/dirt marks and it seemed like being done up with the same bedding. Also the toilet wasnt clean and there was a stink. Had to call room service in less that 10mins to check-in but I wasnt really satisfied with the room so I checked out within 2hrs and time to spare. The check out process was slow as the the house keeping did not confirm everything in place even after 3 calls from reception.

This is a very good hotel to stay at in Amritsar. Very nice rooms and great breakfast. Have been to this place thrice and it never disappoints. This review was long pending but never too late. Hope their standards are still high and hope to visit soon

If you are visiting to Amritsar for Golden Temple visit or for some busibess trip then you can choose it as a budget hotel for your stay. It has a wonderful swimming pool at the top roof. Staffs are really good as well as the room service. Food quality too is good

We booked this hotel for our one day stay to visit the golden temple but unfortunately our flight got canceled last minute and we just could not reach the city. The hotel was kind enough to understand our problem and shift our booking dates for later dates till we made other arrangements to reach Amritsar. finally when we reached the Hotel a few days later, I was happy to see that we made a good decision of booking the hotel. Great staff, nice food and excellent and clean rooms. We had the dinner in the hotel and a complete authentic taste of Indian food was served. Breakfast too was elaborate and satisfying. Golden temple was 12-15 mins drive from the hotel , so were the market places.

Not a bad Hotel for one night stay in Amritsar. Except for the check-in staff everybody else was good. Asked the bell boy to get another key for the room and no one came back with it. Did not have a chance to check out the lounge or restaurant. But when asked for, they did not have champagne available. Everything else was good.

The restaurant service was absolutely disappointing. As we have MAP plan . There were least bother with us. They just took out print on plan paper for food menu and I must say road side DHABA is better than this. Gravy is hot but chicken piece are too cold. Naan was so hard. Taste of daal fry like some one start learning cooking .In addition t.I would never go again to this place for any reason and I don't recommend this restaurant, not even to my worst enemy.hey could hardly notice us when we wanted something

We stayed at this hotel in July'17 for 2 nights.The location is 3-4 kms away from harmandir sahib..but its good..it has ample parking space and there is dominos.ccd and other restaurants next to it...Rooms are clean and big...with glass facaded rooms looks big and the view is niece from each room....when we checked in the refrigerator was not working..so they replaced it immediately...staff was very courteous...and services were prompt...The pool is on top floor which is like a kids pool..there is a small gym next to it.... The Breakfast was on first floor..and it has lot of varieties...Loved the breakfast for both days..Also newspaper is delivered to each room separately every morning which is a good thing....

The overall experience was very good. The rooms were clean but there was dampness on the ceiling of my room and the food they offered in the buffet was also good. The swimming pool is small in size and had insects in it. The view from the rooftop was nice and the location of the hotel in also good. The staff was very courteous and polite. The gymnasium of the hotel is also very good.

Good rooms and comfy beds with a great shower. Not much character. Food service was very poor, slow and even slower were the two speeds they knew. I gave up waiting and went to bed on both nights we stayed there. When the food arrived though it was good, well the lunchtime food was anyway, cant review the evening meal as i didnt wait.

We stayed here for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is well kept, clean and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are big enough, the bathrooms were clean and the shower worked very well with hot water. Also the location is nice because it is slightly away from the dirty streets and so gives you a breather from the highly congested place. The front desk could use a bit of service training as they were not that responsive but regardless, we liked this hotel.

Stayed three nights at this property and I had no complaints really clean and well maintained. I love how the hotel is in a quiet area of Amritsar great calm after exploring the busy streets. Highlight is the staff so professional, freindly and go out of there way to make sure you are comfortable and happy. Would stay at this property again.

And I mean it literally... We stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to the Golden Temple and the Wagah Border. There is a good selection of hotels in Amritsar in the similar price bracket, but we chose Best Western Merrion, over the others due to its convenient location and the breakfast / dinner offer. Though it seems crazy to opt for the dinner offer when you are in the land of mindbogglingly delicious food, I was glad at the end of the day, because after running around the whole day sight seeing, shopping and running around, it was good to come back to the comfortable restaurant with good food and great service. The sublime experience that started with a smooth check-in continued till the day we checked out to return home. Though I could partly attribute the great service to the overall cheerful and helpful people of Amritsar, I will stick out my neck and give full credit to the Best Western management and staff for the superb experience. And when I say helpful people of Amritsar, you will know only if you visit. There is something serene and beautiful about the place and the people, which I really cant describe.

stayed on 14th oct for one night . The checkin was prompt and was delighted to note that they had upgraded to royal suite room .room was spacious with a living & bedroom with 2nos LED TVs it was neat & clean all around. The quality of food ordered for dinner was good . The breakfast spread was comprehensive and included south indian/continental/north indian .Live counter for dosas was not available & may be put up . Room service response was sluggish & didnot clear overnight dishes till check out . the reception staff was prompt & caring .similar response from all other staff with a smile always . have dormitory facility for drivers . The location is away from city centre & serenity all around

I stayed with family 2 rooms 9-10 September .. things were decent till I checked out. Then My father asked a very simple thing , a hand towel be used in the lobby and He was told with a sorry face that it can't be given because they have it room only. Shocker and a hint of poor customer experience Then I asked the reception and the guy told me he would TRY. After 10-15 minutes when we were through with opening our closed luggage and take out my own hand towel they brought one. Had they extended this small gesture 10 minutes prior... it would have been other way round but they spoiled it all

Strategicly located with great hospitality. The rooms were awesome and really clean. The food was reasonably price and comes with live music in the evening. Will be back to this hotel when visiting the Golden Temple again.

Initially we booked this hotel because we couldn't get booking in Ramada, therefore booked 3 nights here and 1 night in Ramada. I don't regret my decision about BW Merion, in fact turned out to be a much better place than over-hyped Ramada. Staff is very courteous and attentive. Hotel rooms are well appointed. Hotel is very well maintained and everything looks brand new. Overall great value for money. Location is close to all the night hot spots. Wifi is lacking with frequent loss of speed. Adequate parking available on site.

The Best Western Merrion in Amritsar is a lovely and quaint hotel about 2.5 kms from the Golden Temple and with very well appointed rooms. The hotel has a basic gymnasium and a very very un usable swimming pool on the rooftop. What impressed me most was the helpful and ever smiling staff of the hotel. A special mention goes to Sikander at the front desk! The hotel is top class in comfort and pretty good value on the room charges..

I have visited there with my family. The food was really delicious. The ambiance was good. Staff service as good. Total worth for money. I personally recommend Cream of Mushroom it was super delicious. Kudos to Chefs!!

Stayed a day, located around 4 km from mandir. Room is good, and staff are supportive. However, hygiene at the common areas could be improved. Food is decent, except the dining hall is dimly lit. Rooms have a good view of the city. Overall, it's a choice of value for money.

Best Western is situated at a nice location away from city but approachable.The hotel has a beautiful ambience,nice food ,clean swimming pool and very helpful staff ,specially Lokesh and front desk .I recommend this stay as it is very near to railway station and shopping mall

Stayed at this property for a couple of days on work. Good sized rooms with a good focus on comfort and convenience. The food in the restaurant is middle of the line, neither good nor bad. The breakfast spread is good with plenty of options.

I happened to stay here just for one night with family mainly as a transit halt for onward journey. I had read few reviews and my experience is not quite different from others. I have not stayed in any other hotels in Amritsar so cannot compare but I was very satisfied with my Stay. We were given a free upgrade to an Executive room from a deluxe one. That was a nice surprise. Rooms were very spacious by Indian standards. Very clean and with good furniture and upholstery. There was wall to wall carpet in entire room, which is usually unheard of in Indian mid-segment hotels. View from living room was also great too. They have wall size French windows which offer great view and good day-light. See photos attached. We were on CP plan with complimentary breakfast. Spread at breakfast was good consisting of north as well as south Indian dishes. Both were tasting good. Lassi was available along with juice but was not of Amritsar or Punjab standard. It was more like a sweet, thicker chaas. We decided to dine at their restaurant which served good ala-carta food. There was live music and singer singing old hindi numbers / gazals had a good voice. Staff was courteous too. Only flipside was fittings in Bathroom. They need immediate replacement. Toiletry kits were good and useful. Roof top pool was also in not so good condition. They should either maintain it well or should just close it. Gym though small was functional. Overall it was a good stay and value for money. I would stay again and recommend this hotel once fittings are replaced.

This hotel in Amritsar is a very decent place to stay in. The rooms are well-furnished and very spacious with the best available furniture. The upkeep is excellent thereby making your stay very comfortable. The food at the restaurant is great - with a wide variety of various cuisines. All in all, it makes your holiday a memorable one.

The rooms were nice and spacious. However, the hotel staff seemed to be too confused. The food was good and the restaurant staff were courteous. The problem I faced was more with the reception staff. That dented my overall experience.

We checked in for 1 night and hadn't slept for 24 hours. Mr Satindar in front office helped us do an early check in understanding our situation. The food I must say was beyond amazing. Do try the Tom yum soup, relax and the hotel will take care of you like they did for us.

I have visited best western this may. I visited the hotel late night and was worried about the service i would recieve late night but i was astonished with the assisstance. I Stayed there for 2 days and the boy sukhraj escorted me too well and helped me discovering amritsar too. I would suggest everyone to choose best western always. Besides the food was of particular my taste which was my main delight.

I stayed there for two nights. As I was in Amritsar so didn't have the food there in hotel as there are much more deliteful options moreover food was also quite expensive though. After a long 10 hour drive I thought of taking a dip in pool but disappointed as pool was on open terrace not properly maintained full of birds s**t. Gym in the hotel is only for the name machines are not working properly and the area of the gym is like 10 by 10 room size. We stayed in executive rooms and that was the best part as room was quite big and clean staff was courteous and very helpful. All in all amenities need an upgradation rest is good.

I stayed here with my wife for two nights. The room was clean, well equipped with things like hair dryer, bath tub, tv and mini bar. The food was good in taste and presentation. But it was costly. They should add things like bath rob and loofa. Overall it was a good experience and if we plan to visit Amritsar again then we would love to stay at Best Western Merrion.

It was an excellent stay at Best Western when we visited Amritsar for 3 days. It was a very comfortable stay with excellent Punjabi cuisine at the restaurant. Very hospital and friendly staff who helped us in ensuring that the stay was best.

Comfortable stay and pretty much centrally located. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Restaurent's are decent enough and food isn't excellent but good. All they need to take care of is bed and bathroom linen

We had booked 3 rooms for 1 night for a family get together. All 3 rooms were very clean and good size. Washrooms were neat. Our stay was pleasant. The only problem with the hotel was its slow service; whether its room service or the elevator. Rest everything was just fine. The food was delicious! Can stay again!

Hotel location is perfect only 15 minutes drive from golden temple so you are close to the temple and away from the crowd. The rooftop restaurant is really nice at night. I visited in the month of february and the weather was great. They had very good offers in the bar where i enjoyed watching the football match and the staff was very friendly .

As per other reviews published in Booking portal this hotel is indeed very good and staff attitude and treatment to the guest is really good. I could see this in all respects. I must thank the person who is responsible for this well trained staff. Rooms are really good and excellent bed and mattress. I enjoyed it. bath tub is another added facility. Food is also good and nothing to complain about it. They can put better Air conditioner and upkeep of Gym can be one point that they can look in to. Over all it was a pleasant stay.

If you are looking for a modern hotel with latest amenities, this hotel is not for you. We stayed here for 2 nights and we would rate our stay as very unexciting. Punjab is known for its great hospitality but that is missing here except the tall doormen give you a very energetic salute. The beds and mattresses are below par. Air conditioning is great. Lifts antiquated and take ages to reach 4th floor. Bathroom showers are disappointing. We didn't venture to eat breakfast or any meal here so we can't comment on that. It was extremely hot when we stayed there. When I ordered beer I was told they only serve strong beer. As you know in Punjab the strong beer with alcohol content of 8-15 percent is quite popular. They didn't have normal beer with lower alcohol content which was quite disappointing on that day with 40 degrees C temp. The staff at the reception is poorly trained.

Good 4 star UK quality hotel, very happy to visit again. This was the first and second nights of our Indian tour and set the standard for the rest of our trip. Breakfast included most of our British favourites.

We spent two nights at this hotel in mid-February. This hotel is in a upscale area with other hotels and restaurants close by. The front desk staff was very friendly with a smile on their face at all the time. Our suite was very large with separate living area and a small dinette with two chairs. The bathroom had both the tub and the shower with hot water running at all the time. The bathroom was very clean and decorative. All the necessary toiletries and plenty of towels were stocked. The room had two TVS and two air-condition controls. The carpet was clean and the room was free from any odor. The buffet was fantastic. It offered plenty of Indian breakfast items, fruit bar, Western breakfast items and an omelette station. One can order any type of eggs item and Indian items like Dosha from the Omelette station. The restaurant staff was polite and friendly. The room service food we ordered was delicious and the quantity was plenty. Overall, we had an excellent stay at his hotel. A year ago, I stayed at the Holiday Inn located next to this hotel. Although Holiday Inn was also a good four-star hotel, I liked this hotel better.

Good property centrally located at Rajeev Avenue,I stayed with my family for one night ,staff is very courteous.Breakfast spread is good. Will recommend this for family stay for sure.Golden temple is merely 6.5 KMS and station is only 3 KMS away.Reasonably priced 4 star property which will give u s feel of 5 Star property.

I alongwith my wife stayed in the hotel for two nights on my maiden visit to Amritsar for site seeing. The hotel was decent with moderately well sized rooms and basic furnishing. The breakfast had many options to choose from and the taste was good. The dinning space for breakfast was different on the two days but the one on second day was slightly cramped. The best part was courteous and helpful front office staff and thing that needs improvement is the Wifi system.

We had a very comfortable two nights stay at this property. It's a 4 star hotel located in the posh area of Ranjit Avenue. The shopping complex is right across the road to cater to all your needs. The staff is courteous and very helpful. We stayed in their deluxe room on the top floor. We absolutely loved the interiors of our room – it had all modern amenities but still restored the charm/history of Amritsar in it. They also have a great spread for breakfast. Tip: When staying here, you must walk down to Kulcha Land for their famous Masala Kulcha, its just 10 mins walk from the hotel!

We booked 2 double rooms on a recent visit to Amritsar. Overall the experience we very good. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The rooms are spacious and are well appointed. We had breakfast which we also find good. It's complete value for money!

Hotel is easily reachable from railway station & bus stand, located in posh area. Staff are friendly & helpful, good service, rooms were clean, had a comfortable stay. Food is good. The check-in was quick and smooth, rooms are nice and service is quick. All in all a good hotel to stay at in Amritsar. It's located away from the crowded city in one of the posh areas of Amritsar. There are good eateries nearby. Parking is limited however valet service is available.
